86690 Nation, windownation.com. So this is going to be a quick listen today, a short show today. Ben Standing, I am experienced.
will join me in the next segment, but I have some distance to travel tonight to a holiday
party. So we're going to make this short and sweet, and we're going to make this all about the
skins today, all about the commanders, all football team stuff today, because there was some news
from the park today. There was good news and there was some bad news. The good news, Marshawn
Latimore was a full go and appears to be trending towards making his season debut.
with Washington against his former team, New Orleans.
The bad news was a surprise.
Wide receiver Noah Brown is out and likely for the remainder of the season.
Listen to Dan Quinn as he broke the news today during his press conference.
Tough news on Noah.
He's going to be out for a while.
And so Brown, so he had a significant internal injury from the game.
And so that's going to knock him out for a while.
We love him.
And this play style, the identity of how he goes.
And so that one hurts.
He's been absolutely one of our glue guys.
And after the game or during the game between him and the medical staff,
they did a really good job to address what was a serious injury.
And, you know, fortunately, he's going to be okay.
But it's going to knock him out for a bit.
Fortunately, he's going to be okay.
You know, significant internal injury.
The medical staff did a really good job to address what was a situation.
serious injury. This was clearly something more than just the run-of-the-mill rib injury, which was
what it was reported to be after he left the game against Tennessee in the third quarter a week
ago Sunday. My first thought when I read this, I was on radio this morning, was internal
organ, you know, something, you know, that was damaged that may have been, you know, kind of scary
in the moment. And Quinn didn't say specifically what it was. Now, by the time you listen to this,
maybe somebody's reported what it was, but I did read this from one of those so-called injury experts on
Twitter. The only reason I'm going to read this is this guy, Dr. Jesse Morse, has 110,000 followers.
So I'm assuming there's some credibility there. He wrote the following about,
Noah Brown's injury this afternoon.
Quote, this is likely a laceration of an internal organ, liver, kidney, spleen after a rib
fracture which caused the rib to become sharp and damaging to nearby organs.
Sometimes these can be life-threatening.
And then he went on to cite three previous examples.
Hunter Henry in 2017, Jack Doyle, a tight end in 2019, and C.J. Gardner Johnson in 2022.
he said are three players that come to mind that suffered a similar injury.
He also wrote that usually players miss a minimum of three weeks,
but sometimes several months depending on the specifics.
So there you go.
Sounds like it could have been, you know,
one of those dicey moments either in the stadium or maybe a day or two afterwards,
but it's good that the medical staff was able to take care of it.
I mean, remember in years past with this or.
organization. Who knows how it would have been handled. So certainly hope that he is well and on
the mend. Now, from a football standpoint, that is a loss of some real production. He had played on
53.65 percent of the snaps on the season before the injury. That's second among the receiver
group to Terry, of course. He was third on the team in targets behind Terry and Zach
Kurtz, third on the team in receptions, and third on the team in reception yardage.
If you had a sense like I did that he was a favorite target of Jaden when he was in the game,
it's true.
He was targeted on 12% of the snaps that he took.
That's the exact same as Terry and Zach Ertz.
Zachert, slightly higher at 12.5%.
But the three of them were basically.
targeted as often based on the time they were in the game as each other. So he was a guy that
Jaden looked to as much as any other player. Hellen, the Dallas game, his last full game,
he was targeted 10 times in the game, the highest of any receiver pass catcher in the game,
six catches 71 yards against the Cowboys. Terry's only got one game this year in which he was
targeted 10 times. I thought he had some really good moments, some really good games. Obviously,
the memorable moment, all-time moment, is the Hail Mary, deflected catch against Chicago.
But I thought, you know, he was as good as anybody in the middle of the field for them. I thought
he was very good in the run game as a blocker. I thought he was a guy that I think drew probably more
defensive pass interference calls than any other receiver on the team.
He had some key drops, too, no doubt. The Dallas game comes to mind on that one.
But he was a good pickup for them in late August, good player for them this year.
A guy that Jaden clearly trusted could get open, and he did.
I think the loss of Brown is significant. I think when you combine that with the loss of
Austin Echler, which I think is a little bit more significant,
they're hurt a little bit by the loss of both players as they head down the stretch here.
Echler for sure is going to be missed as a change of pace back and is a kickoff returner as well.
But with Noah Brown now out, Diami Brown obviously has a chance,
and they've already made him part of the game plan more in recent weeks than they had in the first half of the season.
but I think it's time that we see Luke McCaffrey produce more.
And I'm not saying that it's his fault that he hasn't produced more.
He's been on the field for the third most snaps among receivers,
you know, after Terry and Noah Brown.
But McCaffrey, you know, has been targeted on just 5.6% of his snaps compared to,
as I mentioned with Terry and Noah Brown, 12%.
for them. He gets good separation. I think he does, McCaffrey. Part of the matchup that he draws is probably
responsible for some of that. He doesn't draw typically, you know, the number one or number two
corner. Most of his snaps have been from the slot, but I think he's a good route runner. You know,
he's not the apples to apples replacement for Noah Brown because of how much Luke lines up in the
slot when he's in there versus Brown, who lines up in the slot like 19, 20 percent of the time,
and McCaffrey's in the slot like 82 percent of the time.
Diami Brown is probably more the apples to apples replacement for Noah Brown,
based on where he's lined up during the course of the year.
But I'm really interested in what McCaffrey can do with more targets.
I hope he gets them.
I think both players, Diami and Luke McCaffrey, will get more snaps, more targets for sure, more snaps.
This was Dan Quinn actually talking more about Noah Brown's loss and what they'll do to replace him.
Hey, Dan, with Noah being out, I mean, how big of a loss is that offensively?
And who do you want to see maybe get those snaps and kind of step up here?
Yeah, it is the hardest part as you're going through it for the game.
and when you miss, you know, significant time.
And we've got a pretty deep crew there.
And so that helps where guys can play into different spots.
And you've probably seen some guys play outside.
Some guys play inside.
And so having a deep crew allows you to do that.
But Noah does have some specific size and speed traits that are unique to him.
He's just such a tough, hard-ass competitor.
And so I love that he brings that to the team.
And I know he'll get back and he'll get, you know,
well, but it's definitely a tough one for us because of not just what he brings on the field,
but also Scott what he brings off the field as a ball player and as a man.
That was Scott Abraham who asked Dan Quinn that question earlier today, and you heard
Dan Quinn refer to the receiver room as a pretty deep crew that they have there.
Who knew?
But guess what?
They just added to that receiver room.
As I am sitting here recording the podcast, they just,
added KJ Osborne, picked him up off waivers. He was released by New England. I have no idea what
he did in New England. I'm pulling it up as we speak. But I am pretty familiar with his work in
Minnesota prior to going to New England. Seven catches this year, 57 yards. Not great.
With a young quarterback for much of the year. But in Minnesota, he was one of Kirk Cousins' favorite
receivers. He had 50 catches in 2021, seven touchdowns in 2021. In 2022, 60 catches, five touchdowns.
Last year, remember they added Jordan Addison in the first round. He had 48 catches and
three touchdowns, but he was a very productive receiver in Minnesota with Justin Jefferson
and Jordan Addison and the receivers that they had there, tight ends that they had there. Cousins
always liked him. He's a tough guy.
really good blocker in the run game, willing blocker in the run game.
I'm looking up his height. I'm going to say he's 511, somewhere around there.
Six feet, 200 pounds, good hands.
So, yeah, he's added to that pretty deep crew, which will now include Diami Brown,
Luke McCaffrey, Olamedi Zakias, let's not forget him, and KJ Osmore.
By the way, also what just popped up as you were listening to,
listening to Dan Quinn, answer that Scott Abraham question, is that Noah Brown's injury is a kidney
injury. Quinn and the, well, the commanders specify the injury as a kidney injury. That's what
Ben Standing just tweeted out. And Quinn spoke with a degree of concern about the initial
diagnosis, but said the receiver is good now. So that's good news. Great news. All right,
Ben standing after these words from a few of our sponsors.

All right, let's bring on our good friend Ben Standing.
Ben is out in Ashburn at the park.
And I'll just start by asking you, because I talked about it in the open,
how would you describe the impact of losing Noah Brown for the rest of the year,
more likely than not.
I think it's significant in a very specific way.
Obviously, he's become, you know, we wouldn't say he's like the number two receiver in
like bold letter like he's the guy, but he has been getting the second most reps behind
Terry McCorn, and he gives them an element they don't have otherwise that position in that
size and some physicality there.
You know, he's been, I didn't look today, but he had been the league leader for most
of the year in terms of generating passenger parents penalties, which I think that
a lot of yards beyond what he has.
And he, you know, third on the team in receptions behind Terry McCorn and Zachard.
So, you know, again, does he have some ups and downs where there's some drop issues?
Sure.
But in terms of the rest of the group, he was giving them a pretty significant thing,
giving Kate and Daniels a big target.
They don't have anyone to replace him at receiver.
You know, this comes back to where they were back in training camp, right?
When we were saying, hey, what's going to happen here?
They don't have any size.
It's like a race and Tremaine going to make the team to give them that.
that sort of thing.
So they do lose that for sure,
and obviously he was a recipient of the Hail Mary from Jane Daniels.
He's made a lot of other significant catches over the course of the year.
So, you know, I think at this point in the season, it's, you know, significant,
but, you know, again, not saying he's, you know, it's like losing Gary Clark,
but at the same time, you know, it's what they had.
And also this is on top of, you know, no Austin Eccler,
you're already dealing without him.
Now taking two guys away, two of your top four receivers.
away or past catchers away is definitely significant.
Yeah, I think that that's, you know, the combination of losing both of them is not going to be
the easiest thing in the world to replace.
I did just see that you tweeted out that it was a kidney injury.
It's one of those things that when I heard or I read when I was on radio this morning,
what Dan Quinn had told you guys, I was like, this, you know, sounds like it was probably
some sort of organ.
And then I saw some, you know, Twitter, doctor.
or injury expert tweet that it was probably a kidney liver or something else.
So it was his kidney.
Do you have any idea how serious it was like on the field or a day or two after?
I don't, you know, because they had the buy week,
you know, we didn't have access to Dan Quinn for all that time.
And there was no, you know, they told us it was a rib injury, you know,
at the Titans game.
So I didn't know that it was more significant than that.
When we talked to Dan Quinn today, you know, he said Noah Brown is a rib injury, you know,
the good place now, but he certainly had some concern, Dan Quinn said it, like, initially
when he heard, like, what was going on? When he tells us it's an internal injury,
like, whoa, what does that mean? That's not just a rate by Jayden Pat or something like that.
So, yeah, I mean, I don't know how significant it was, but clearly, you know, enough that it sounds
like he's probably going to miss the rest of it here.
Yeah. All right. So let's talk about the rest of the team. Marciaun Latimore.
got a full day of work.
This would seem to be an indication that we're going to see him Sunday in New Orleans, right?
You would think so.
You know, this is the first time he has practiced in full.
Now, he did not talk to us today.
He apparently has told PR he'll talk Friday when he gets he has a,
he knows he'll be playing.
So I don't know if that means he's just buttoned up until, you know,
until everything is completely clear or if that means there's any concerns,
I'm assuming a former.
So, yeah, we have not talked to him, but it sounds like he's tracking the play this game unless there's some kind of set back off of today.
All right.
So I know we've talked about this, you know, several times going back to the day that they traded for him.
But if he does play on Sunday, where does he play?
How does he play?
And how does that impact the rest of the corners?
Yeah, you know, obviously, like, you know, we don't want to, they're not going to look past any opponent or hold.
and, you know, we therefore shouldn't either.
But this is a pretty good spot to have a guy have to come in this deep into the season
and try to figure out exactly how you want to use them and get them acclimated, right?
Because the Saints are looking at either Jake Hainer or Spencer Rattler or quarterback.
They don't have Chris Olive.
They don't have –
Rashid Shihit.
Hesim Hill.
Rashid and Taysam Hill, yeah.
Yeah, they're missing a bunch of guys.
So this is not the most dynamic of passing attack, say the least, so they can, you know, to somewhat,
like ease him in before they get to Philadelphia next week.
So, you know, in New Orleans, they use him almost exclusively on one side of field on the right
side.
In talking to, you know, Dan Quinn after around the time of the trade, you know, he suggested
that they probably will look to move him around more.
I think so, you know, I think the real question is, and I think the whole has got to be
that wherever he is, whichever side of the field he's on, maybe even a little bit of a slot,
it's, say, the other team's best receiver
is a guy in the slot, you know, or they'd move, you know, a tight end,
but they'd move somebody in the slot.
But other than that, I think the hope has got to be
that he can handle whoever his assignment is one-on-one
and thus fraying them up to then use their other 10 guys to, you know,
to go where they want to be, whether that's, you know,
two receivers on the other side of the field or have an extra player in the box
to deal with, say, Seqon-Barkley.
I mean that, to me, is where they're looking to,
where I think they can find a lot of help along with, obviously, him covering some of the better receivers in the league.
So, you know, we'll see about this week.
It's the full blown deal with him, or is it just sort of an acclamation period to get a sense of how it's all going to work.
I think the biggest change since they made the trade is the constant development of Mikey Sandersill,
who I would have assumed would have been the slot guy the second they made that trade.
Now, Sanders will emerge as probably the other outside corner with no Igbenagi
sitting in the slot in St. Juice probably taking on the lesser role.
I think that's probably the biggest thing that's changed.
But again, we'll see what they ultimately decide with Lattimore.
But I think they'll probably move him around more than he was with New Orleans.
Yeah, I mean, it certainly seems like they're plenty pleased with Sanristol on the outside,
and I think we can even see it with our eyes.
That doesn't mean that it's the next year or the 2026 plan.
but it just may be what they need to do right now.
Yeah, I mean, you know, Sandra still just continues to impress them.
But, you know, Gwen has said that what they want him ultimately in the slot.
And I think that's where Sandra still sees his future as well.
But, you know, so much of this season has been for Washington,
they are piecemealing this together to a certain degree.
They don't necessarily, you know, just like with kind of the receiver room to an extent.
They don't have one guy who fills all the needs,
but they have people who can do different things.
and they move people around accordingly.
Same thing here to an extent.
Look, St. Juist, you know, as was the case, his first three years in the league.
At times, he looks like he's good, but he often gives up,
he's up to many yards, get called for penalties,
and Sanders still has been just steadier.
And I think they're leaning into that, even if he's not the biggest guy,
he's up size, but he's such a competitor.
He's got really good instinct, things like that.
So, yeah, I think to get through this season, they're staying with that.
Plus, I mean, we don't probably talk enough about Igbenaghi.
But I think he's been a pretty good find.
He was a former high draft pick.
He was with Quinn last year in Dallas for a little bit.
But I don't think it was much expected of him,
and he's given them a fair amount at slot.
So it's a combination of the two,
keeping those two guys on the field and finding a way to do that.
You know what's worth mentioning or maybe reminding people of?
Because I have a sense that some people don't know this,
or others are like, yeah, I kind of
remember that. But Noah Igben Ogeny, or Igben O'Gani, however, the correct pronunciation
is Noah I. He was a first round pick in 2020. The Dolphins selected him in the first round,
the end of the first round, 30th overall out of Auburn. But Noah I was a big time prospect
coming out in the 2020 draft. Just thought I would mention it. So I did see something pop up here.
Jameson, who Quinn said Ben earlier in the week, is our kicker, is on the injury report today,
limited with a left foot injury. So what does that mean for Sunday?
What, you want a clean week with no issue with kicker? What do you think this is? This is how the season is going to go.
Yeah, I don't know. We all saw that as well. When the injury report came out, I mean, you know,
it's one of those things where if we don't ask the specific questions, they're not going to necessarily discuss it.
You know, we asked the Dan Quinn about what they were doing a kicker on Monday.
He said, Dan Gonzalez.
So, okay, so that was it.
But, yeah, we'll have to see, again, you know, how these things are.
Like, what the limited truly mean is it, you know, he doesn't, you know, he doesn't do too much in practice.
We'll give him a break and see, you know, he should be fine by the next couple days,
or by tomorrow they have up another, have an issue.
So hopefully it's not a big deal.
I mean, again, based on what Quinn said on Monday, he didn't, he said, hey, we're going forward with this guy,
with no hesitation in his language.
And the fact that they haven't brought in another kicker,
which seems to suggest that there is no issue,
unless there somehow this completely came upon them by surprise today.
I just assume they're giving him a break for whatever the reason
and, you know, plan on him being there Sunday.
I also notice that Alvin Camara is on the injury report for the Saints today with illness.
If he can go, they can run the football against Washington Sunday.
More on that on tomorrow's show and Friday's show.
show. But that would be my number one concern when it comes to Sunday. All right, let's let you
run here off of this exit question. I think I asked you this last week maybe or the week before,
but here we are four games left in the season. How many do they win and where do they land
in terms of in the playoffs, out of the playoffs, if they're in the playoffs, seating-wise?
I mean, I think they win this game, and I'll say they win at Dallas.
I mean, I don't know who knows where Dallas is at this in terms of playing for.
I mean, they'll probably be out of the playoffs.
It's just a matter of, you know, are they resting the Michael Parsons of the world or not.
I'm not going to look at them because obviously they just beat Washington.
Atlanta is playing like garbage right now, as we know,
and Kirk Covens is going through something at the moment,
but we'll see they may be coming off a win this week against the Raiders,
and obviously they have weapons.
But, you know, I think two and two is probably a number.
enough to get the job done.
They're one game ahead of the Rams who look unbelievably
impressive offensively in a win over Buffalo, and they are
a scary team. They could still win the NFC
West, but they're one behind Washington. So,
you know, if they win two, the Rams are going to have to,
you know, more or less, you know, run the table
to catch Washington.
So, you know, I'm going to guess that. I think to me
in terms of the playoffs, if we want to move
beyond, are they making it versus
can they do anything? The Philadelphia
game, I think, is the most interesting of the four left, because it is the one against the
team that's a legitimate contender. We saw what happened in the first game. You know, the
defense played very strong for the first two and a half quarters and then got worn down
because the offense could do anything. But no more son or Adam were in that game.
Jayden Daniels was still clearly a bit banged up or it wasn't closer. You didn't look as
good physically as he did in his last game, et cetera. So, you know, I think this could be
really interesting to not just put them possibly in the play.
But if they look the part, I think then you can get some more confidence about them actually doing something in the postseason.
I mean, at this point, they're 0 and 4 against teams that we believe we're going to the playoffs or probably will.
So there's still a gap between the contenders and them.
And I don't know we're going to say, hey, if they beat the Saints, where they beat Dallas or maybe even Atlanta, that that means that much in terms of are they going to go to the next level?
But the Philadelphia game, win or lose, if they, you know, are right there with them and battle them all in the end, then I think the confidence goes up.
So at this point, I think it's like we have them like an 80% likelihood to make the playoffs,
which they lose its queen in that number of declines.
It doesn't matter.
But, you know, I think they're going to get in at this point.
But I'm curious to just silly give us or at least give me more of a sense that they actually could be something in the playoffs, not just get in.
All right, good job.
Appreciate you jumping on on short notice.
I'll talk to you later.
Yeah, man.
See you.

MyBooky is.
And my bookie's got everything you need to bet on sports,
and it's fair across the board.
Fair point spreads, totals.
money lines, prop bet pricing, and pricing in general, you're not going to pay minus 125 on a
straight bet loss. You're going to pay minus 110, which is what you should be paying, sometimes less than
that. Now, if you buy a half point, or if it's a key number, maybe minus 112, minus 115,
but my bookie's old school, you're going to get fair pricing, you're going to be taken care of
on that front, because it all adds up. By the way, I was looking at
their MVP odds because Sequin Barclay is still on track to have the single greatest rushing season
in NFL history to break Eric Dickerson's 40-year-old record. But Josh Allen, after accounting for
six touchdowns last week, he's minus 481 to win the MVP at MyBooky, Seqwan Barclay plus
410. Then there's a big drop-off to Lamar Jackson and Jared Gough. Josh Allen's got a big game
this Sunday. It's Detroit hosting Buffalo, whereas Sequin Barkley also in a big game with the Eagles
playing the Steelers. Go to mybooky.orgie.ag, you want to bet the skins game this weekend. They're
minus seven right now against New Orleans. Tomorrow night's game is an interesting line. Maybe smell
test worthy. The 49ers are three-point favorites over the Rams in Santa Clara. San Francisco can get back
into that race with a win tomorrow night against the Rams.

So it just seems like one of those shows.
The intent was to keep it short, and it will be,
but there's just been news as we've been going through it.
Well, it is final.
Bill Belichick is going to be the head coach at North Carolina.
This reported by Adam Schefter, Pete Thammel, and Chris Lowe.
ESPN.com. Six-time Super Bowl winning head coach Bill Belichick is finalizing a deal to become the new
head coach at North Carolina. Belichick's father, by the way, Steve, was an assistant coach at North
Carolina in the 1950s. I got to be honest with you, this doesn't make any sense to me, other than
from this standpoint.
At his age, 72 years old,
if he's looking for quality of life,
if he's looking for a place for his son, Steve,
to end up, you know, assuming the head coaching position at North Carolina,
the successor, the in-waiting coach,
perhaps promised as part of this deal for his son to be a head coach.
I would get that.
You know, Chapel Hill is lovely.
Research Triangle area in that Raleigh-Durham Chapel Hill area is a great place.
It's a high quality of life.
High education, great health care, great schools, pretty good weather year-round.
You know, it doesn't have kind of a northeast climate in the winter, and it does get hot in the summer.
If you're a golfer, plenty to do on the golf front, plenty of golf courses to play.
I forget if Belichick's a golfer or not.
It's maybe a quality of life and an opportunity for him to set it up for a son.
But to me, it says maybe he didn't think there would be an opportunity in the NFL.
That's a bit surprising.
I thought it was surprising last year.
Of course, Atlanta was a possibility until Arthur Blank refused to kind of give him total control.
And it seemed like maybe had some second thoughts about bringing a guy like Bill
Belichick into the organization.
And that seemed to be kind of a stunning turn of events, if you remember when it happened last
January.
Maybe nobody wants Belichick because he wants too much control.
I don't know.
That is one thought that comes to mind.
But the real thought for me is North Carolina, it's a basketball school.
In the state of North Carolina, they care about basketball, college basketball.
Yes, there's a 12-team playoff now, which, oh, you.
opens it up to more possibilities of competing for a national championship at places that
haven't previously legitimately competed for a national championship. North Carolina's had moments.
You know, all of those schools in North Carolina. Wake State, Duke, Carolina. You know,
North Carolina's probably had more, maybe NC State, I don't know, who's been in the running
for something significant more often than the other schools on Tobacco Road. But North
Carolina is a basketball school. That's what they care about more than anything else. Now, you can
win in football, but can you win at the level that Clemson or Miami or Florida State has the
potential of winning at in the ACC? You can have a year here or there. What kind of NIL budget?
What kind of salary cap will they have as the sport moves to this, you know, 20, 22 percent of
overall revenue of the program? How much of it will go to football versus other football schools? How will
he'd do as a recruiter. I don't know. I would think that if he wanted to coach in college,
that the SEC or a legitimate football school would have been a bigger challenge or something more
interesting. But there could be a lot of things at work here, including the fact that his father
coached there back in the 50s and that they may be familiar with Chapel Hill and how nice it is
and what a great community it is for a university.
And I don't know.
It just doesn't seem to me like an opportunity for Belichick to go win a championship,
which is what I would think he would be after.
He'll coach him up, that's for sure.
But Mack Brown came back, you know, thinking he could get North Carolina into great prominence.
And they won more than they lost, but they weren't a little bit.
legitimate contender. But again, 12-team playoff, we'll see. So there it is. Belichick headed to North
Carolina. Let me finish up with this, because there was another soundbite that I wanted to play
from Dan Quinn's press conference, because I thought it was an interesting answer. He was asked about
the challenge of facing a team where you don't know who the quarterback's going to be. Not only
do you not know who the quarterback's going to be, more likely than not, it's not. It's not. It's
not going to be Derek Carr. But among the backups, you're not sure if it's going to be
Rattler or Jay Caner. And he was asked about that challenge. Here's what he said. You'd really
think about the system because Coach Kubiak in this system, you know, although there's tape on all
three quarterbacks, you want to look at what's the team do. And most of the time, not all the time,
but most of the time, if we had changed a player, you still run that system. It's not so different
that one's this way and one's that way.
Those teams, it can be even more difficult, you know, to do.
I can remember years back with, I hope I get the name right with Cam Newton and Derek Anderson.
I'm hoping to say that right.
And they're much different in terms of the way they would feature players where in this system,
you know, first year into that, there's a lot of the same calls.
That won't be all the same, but there'll be a lot of the same.
So that's where we put our time and our effort in from the specific players who are studying,
the other ones. We've got the film on all three, so that's how you have to prepare. It takes
a little extra for the players, but you have to really train for what they do best and then work
back from there. And the system they are preparing for is, of course, the Mike Shanahan system.
Of course, it is. Clint Kubiak is the offensive coordinator with the Saints. Clint's father, Gary,
of course, with Mike as a player, and then went on to employ all of the
Shanahan Knowledge as a head coach in Houston and then as a Super Bowl winning head coach in Denver in 2015.
Clint was with Kyle last year in San Francisco, but he was also in Minnesota where he was
the O.C. for Kirk, I think one season. Clint Kubiak's offense in New Orleans, remember, started off
weeks one and two scoring 91 total points. And then it was really about injuries the rest of the way.
had so many lost players on offense, skill position players, Taysam Hill, Derek Carr,
Rashid, Chaheed, et cetera. But they do have Alvin Camara, assuming he's healthy and plays on
Sunday. This is the key to the game. I'll give it in more detail on Friday. But Camara,
even with all these injuries, 938 rushing yards, 64 pass receptions. He is just such a dangerous
one-cut zone runner and so dangerous as a pass receiver.
I can't imagine the team's not going to load up the box on one of those two young
quarterbacks and dare them to throw the ball Sunday.
The key to the game is slowing down Alvin Camara and the running game because it's
their strength against Washington's weakness on Sunday.
But interesting answer from Dan Quinn that it's not so much, when you've got quarterbacks
who are similar and Hainer and Rattler are somewhat similar stylistically and not that much different
than Derek Carr. I would say that their talent level is different than Derek Carr. But, you know,
when you have that situation, you're not even preparing for the quarterbacks. You're just
preparing for what Clint Kubiak intends to do with those quarterbacks, or one of them. Anyway,
