Starting point is 00:00:15 It's incomplete. And the commanders. defeat the Saints, 20 to 19. Kenny Albert on the call of what was on the verge of becoming a truly bad loss. I cannot believe that. game came down to a two-point conversion, but it did, and they got to stop and with it, an escape from New Orleans with a 20 to 19 victory. Starting point is 00:00:56 I'm in for a very quick post game. I'll be back tomorrow with a longer show and a guest. Speaking of a guest, I'm hoping to get one. from the locker room here shortly before we wrap things up. So let's start with this. It's a win and you take it and run with it, but there's reason to be more concerned after this one than confident. They have to play better than they played today. They were in complete control of this game, up 17-0, midway through the third quarter.
Starting point is 00:01:29 It wasn't perfect on the way to 17-0, but they were. were doing what they needed to do for those first two and a half quarters, especially considering the Saints were completely inept on offense with Jake Hainer as the starter. 38 first half yards New Orleans had. He was awful. He just was not ready to start an NFL game. And so they go to Spencer Rattler in the second half and the game changes completely. He wasn't like spectacular, but he was a much faster decision. and that made a huge difference. The Saints had the ball four times in the second half.
Starting point is 00:02:10 They scored on all four possessions, 19 points, no punts, and one two-point conversion away from what would have been a ridiculous comeback win. They got help, the Saints did, from the referees in particular. That included that clock stoppage at the end. If you missed that, after that fourth and three completion from Rattler, to Moro, Foster Moro, down to the one-yard line, they stopped the clock inexplicably with nine seconds to go. Now, how long was the clock stopped for? Maybe two seconds? Maybe more than two,
Starting point is 00:02:48 which would have been the difference because when they clocked the ball, there were three seconds left. Now, to be fair, that play started with 17 seconds to go. Most NFL coaches will tell you You need about 14 seconds to throw the ball in the middle of the field, and sometimes that's further down the field with no timeouts and still have a shot to get up and clock it. That play started with 17 seconds to go. Maybe if the clock had continued to run, they would have gotten up there faster, clocked it faster.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Who knows? But that was not a good look there at the end. And there were other calls. The second roughing the passer penalty on Fowler, Jr. in particular was a terrible call. But none of that actually should erase the fact that the defense wasn't nearly good enough in the second half. And because of it, the Saints got back into a game that they should have never gotten back into. The final result, a win shouldn't erase the fact that on offense, they really never had consistent rhythm. You know, you got to love some of the playmaking
Starting point is 00:04:00 from the quarterback in particular, Jaden Daniels made some incredible plays, incredible throws. You got to love what Terry McLaren did, but even the two of them missed on a couple in the fourth quarter that would have been knockout blows. This was messy start to finish, too many penalties, too much pass pressure. My God, they gave up eight sacks. If Jaden hadn't been the quarterback, it would have been like 10 or 11 or maybe 12 sacks. How many pressures did he escape get out of? I can't tell you right now, and when we get to the game take, and I give you what I liked and didn't like,
Starting point is 00:04:38 I'm going to mention sacks and pressures on the list of things that I didn't like, but I can't tell you right now without looking at it, or without hearing from Quinn maybe tomorrow, on how many of those sacks were on the O-Line versus Jaden versus the Saints just really got after Jaden Daniels. I mean, Chase Young and Cam Jordan were at times unblockable. You know, they played some pretty good coverage it looked like behind it. Now, Washington was missing a key cog in that offensive line today.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Tyler Beaudish was out. He was sick. Michael Deeter replaced him. Most of the pressure came from the outside, from the D-Ns. But how much of what happened in past protection, you know, was attributable to Beiotish being the guy who calls out protection. Maybe that was the biggest loss in not having him in the game today because he's been a very good center all year long. But eight sacks and the pressures, those were problems all day long and unsustainable against a better team. They had a new kicker out there.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Greg Joseph was in for Zane Gonzalez. And Joseph, quite honestly, did what he's done pretty much his entire career. miss big kicks. Now, I know this one was from 54 yards out. I know the snap wasn't great, but he did that all the time in Minnesota. And when that kick went wide right, he missed another one, remember, at the end of the third quarter, which would have been a big miss, but the clock had expired. I mean, they had some issues with the clock today down there.
Starting point is 00:06:22 But when he missed that kick wide right, I was like, I can't believe that the Saints have the ball in great field position with a chance to go down and either tie the game or potentially win it if they decide to go for two. The defense didn't make many plays, that's for sure, in the second half. But the two-point conversion was a stop for them. It was good coverage. The ball was still kind of catchable with a slightly better touch throw. But they got out of there somehow today. The eight wins this year before today, you know, on their way to eight and five,
Starting point is 00:07:02 they all felt really good and kind of lifted expectations about what was to come. I mean, there wasn't one of the eight wins that we didn't say, wow. You know, even the near loss to the Bears ended with the Hail Mary. They had so many games this year, and they've had so many that you felt really good when they were over. And some of them in blowout fashion, and that's what this one seemed like. it was headed towards. This win, though, the ninth win of the year, unimpressive in so many ways.
Starting point is 00:07:34 It's a win, and you take it. But it's the first that didn't end with, you know, wow, this team, this offense anyway, is damn good. I'm not panicking. Don't get me wrong. It happens all the time in the NFL. Games are won all the time when teams look bad and could have or should have lost the game and vice versa.
Starting point is 00:07:55 I'm not saying they should have lost this game. I'm not saying that at all. It's the way it ended up becoming close that is concerning. And look, the way you look win or lose, because it's such a week-to-week league, is never a predictor or isn't always a predictor of what comes next. And what's next for them? The Eagles, a big one next Sunday,
Starting point is 00:08:22 that would have been much bigger had they blown the lead today. All right. Also, what's next? My Game Take. What I liked, what I didn't like, that's coming up. Starting point is 00:12:12 He's got 11 for the season, second in the league, to Jamar Chase. That one gave Washington a 14-0 first half lead. All right, let's get to the list of things that I liked, didn't like, and a few other observations.
Starting point is 00:14:20 the list will be more complete tomorrow when I've had a chance to sort of digest everything and look through my notes. I'm going to kind of wing it here because I want to get this out as quickly as possible. And it does appear as if they're going to give me somebody from the locker room here shortly. On the list of things that I like from the game today, you start with either the quarterback or the receiver. I'll start with Terry. Terry was seven for 73, two touchdown catches. The first touchdown catch was ridiculous. I mean, Jaden's extension of that play was unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:14:53 And then Terry catching it in a crowd, getting hit by his own man and a defender and holding on to it was great. He was seven for seven, seven targets, seven receptions until the three misses in the fourth quarter with Jaden. One of them was a drop. I mean, Terry had that one in his hands. It would have been likely a touchdown. The other two, I think, were more on Jaden, an overthrow and an underthrow. But Terry McClurent, outstanding today as he's been all season long, runs great routes. They used him in motion to get him matched up against people.
Starting point is 00:15:31 They wanted him matched up against one of those was against Taran Matthew to get him away from some of the corners. He's just very difficult to check, especially when they move them around and they get him into the matchups they want. And we saw more of that today, and we've seen, you know, different alignings. for him in recent weeks. So give Cliff Kingsbury some credit there. He's kind of evolving. I said, you know, after the Tennessee game, it's not like they've been struggling on offense.
Starting point is 00:16:01 I mean, the offense has been a top five offense all year. But, you know, there was some discussion of Terry being too predictable in his alignment and not enough motion. We saw some of that today. Terry McClorn, outstanding. You know, that one drop could have been a killer. because if he holds on to that one and scores, we never get the drama at the end. Jaden Daniels and his playmaking ability is on this list.
Starting point is 00:16:31 I mean, you know, where to start. I'm just going to start going through my notes with some of the plays that he made. The touchdown pass to Terry on that opening drive. I mean, he is under pressure. He's flushed left. He literally slips, and I think his knee. hit the ground, wasn't touched, got back up and threw the ball, and Terry made a great catch. That's ridiculous in terms of a great throw. You had the third Nate on their third drive,
Starting point is 00:17:04 a throw to Crowder versus zone coverage. He just ripped that thing. It was out so quickly. I'll tell you, his decision-making more times than not, and the release, the mechanics, the release, the accuracy. So great. Crowder, by the way, Bobbled that and then pulled it in just in time. They had a third and two on that third drive of the game. He scrambled for two yards, stretched the ball out. You know, that was another quick pressure. There was a third and three where Ertz had the one-handed catch, you know, knocked him out of the game. I think concussion protocol for Zachertz, so he didn't have Ertz in there in the second half. What a great catch that was by
Starting point is 00:17:45 Ertz. Great pass protection, too, on that play by Jeremy McNichols, got him down to the three-yard line. And then the second touchdown pass to Terry McClure. I think he's going to eventually get there, but he doesn't give any indication with his eyes that that's where he's going with the football as he scanned across the field. Perfect throw. Their fourth drive, there's a second nine, immediate pressure, and he kind of almost jumps up into the air. and hits Brian Robinson, Jr. On kind of a catch and run checkdown. I actually thought that that was a first down and got marked short.
Starting point is 00:18:25 And then they had the third and one, and he got play-actioned. And he got pressure by Granderson, and he broke free of that pressure and scrambled for a first down. I mean, he had so many incredible, you know, pressure escapes today. In the third quarter, there's a third in inches where it's a reed option. I mean, Jaden on the read option in short yardage is almost unstoppable. He had a quick throw on that drive to Zakias for 14 yards. Quick one to Brian Robinson, Jr. Although that was really more about play design.
Starting point is 00:19:07 And then there's a second nine scramble for 15 yards where he gets out of trouble. ducks two or three would be tacklers and gets 15 to move the chains into a goal to go situation. Where are we going next?
Starting point is 00:19:27 Still second half. There's a second and 11 on their second drive of the second half. Great throw to Terry versus Taron Matthew for 20 or so yards. There's a third in 14. where he is pressured, and then that's that incredible scramble where he runs for 24 yards.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Just had one incredible scramble after another. Let's see what else we have here for Jaden. You know, yeah, I mean that, you know, starting with the third drive is where, you know, some of the issues started to come. You know, 20 to 13, and, well, that was the fourth drive. The third drive, there's a nice quick drive starter and a quick one to Brian Robinson, Jr. And then he misses Terry with the overthrow deep. You know, there are a couple of bad plays.
Starting point is 00:20:31 All right, let me go through the bad plays. I may have missed another really good throw or two. He just had so many good throws, so many good scrambles, so many good read option keepers. So many plays that could have been big time lost yardage that he turned into a one or a two-yard gain. What was he doing on that touchdown drive to open up the game when he scrambled down, when he got to the two or three yard line of New Orleans and exposed the ball when he was on the pile? I mean, it's first and goal. Washington recovered it back at the seven-yard line. That was not a scramble. Actually, that was a quarterback sweep on that play, quarterback counter.
Starting point is 00:21:13 I hate that play. He ends up in a pile every time he was on top of the pile. In this particular case, I can't stand when Cliff uses those true quarterback runs. I don't mind quarterback draws. I certainly don't mind the read options, the scrambles. But those design QB runs, QB sweep, QB counter, QB power, he runs a lot of it in the red zone. I hate those calls. He's going to get, you know, tackled in a pile.
Starting point is 00:21:43 And then he stretched the ball out, exposed it, and it was a fumble. Washington recovered it at the seven-yard line. And then, again, I don't know how many of the sacks are on him right now, but the deep shot to Terry that he overthrows, the deep shot to Terry that he underthrew, and then he did have the one that was dropped. Jaden's a great deep ball thrower. He'd like to have the two that he missed back.
Starting point is 00:22:09 and Terry would love to have the one that he dropped back. But Jaden Daniels, I mean, 66 yards rushing 25 of 31 for 226, two touchdowns, no picks. You know, it's another game in which, you know, he's going to get graded pretty highly. Unless these sacks were primarily on him, I don't think the majority of them were. I know that sometimes he's trying to make a play and ends up taking a short sack after, he escapes a much deeper sack. But he was, look, the pressure was there all day long. I mean, and it was quick at times.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Anyway, Jaden was damn good. Grade-wise, I'd have to say he was an A again. I mean, the Houdini acts over and over again. I mean, come on. I thought Crowder had a couple of good plays. We saw more of him when Zakias went out early. Diami with the ball in his hands, man, he's quick. He got banged up.
Starting point is 00:23:15 There were a lot of injuries. A lot of players left. Some of them came back. Some of them didn't. That's it for me offensively. Defensively, look, I don't know how much of this was on Jake Hainer's ineptness in the first half. But clearly after seeing Rattler, a lot of it was. Washington got after Hainer.
Starting point is 00:23:39 They sacked him, I think, four times in the first half, three or four times in the first half. In terms of players that played well and stood out, I thought Dorrance Armstrong had himself a day. I thought Wagner had himself a day. I thought Chin had a good day. Sanra still had the interception on a terrible throw. Almost had another one on a bad throw.
Starting point is 00:24:00 And look, the debut of Marshawn Latimore, you saw the stat they put up. The first 29 throws, he wasn't targeted once. So just having him on the field means they're not even going to throw in his direction. We certainly got San Ristill as the starter, Noah I on the inside. We got some St. Juice in the game, and it wasn't good when he was in there. He was called for a penalty on one of his only snaps of the day. I don't know how many snaps he had.
Starting point is 00:24:31 It didn't seem like a lot of them. kick return. I thought McCaffrey looked good on some kickoff returns. McNichols had a good kickoff return. And, you know, for the most part, once again, punt coverage was really solid on the punts. Yeah, that completes the list of things that I like. Let's go to the list of things.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Oh, let me just add. You know, third down conversions, for the most part, were really outstanding all day. long. What did they finish here? Let me look it up. Nine of 17, so better than 50% on the day. One for one on the fourth down. Boy, that fourth and one. I didn't mention that as a play. Jaden penned in, you know, really looked boxed in on that read option keeper and he dives for it. The ball came loose, but it looked like he was down. They ruled him down. I wanted to see another replay or two of that. I was surprised that it didn't get challenged.
Starting point is 00:25:31 But they must have told him that it was clear that he was down. That was a big-time play to go get that one. But third downs offensively were solid for Washington. All right, list of things that I did not like. So it starts with the second half defense. I mean, the Saints had 38 yards in the first half. They ended up with $2.45. So what's that?
Starting point is 00:26:01 193 in the second half. The Saints didn't convert a first down, or maybe they did in the first half, not many of them. They just gave up too many big plays. And look, there were penalties that were poorly called, but there were big plays. There's a 39-yarder to Valdez Scantling. He had a couple of drops. Keep in mind all the bad calls or some of the bad calls that went against Washington. The Saints had three or four drop passes.
Starting point is 00:26:28 the game. Valdez Scantling had a big one. Murrow had big ones on that final drive. Petis had a huge catch on a third down. That other tight end 83, Juan Johnson had a couple of them. They played pitch and catch a little bit on that final drive. And then, you know, I've said this all season long. They didn't even try in the first half. I'm not sure why. I think part of it was the line of scrimmage was awfully crowded that Washington was loading the box they didn't try to run much in the first half Alvin Camara leaves the game
Starting point is 00:27:03 the throw by the way from Cedric Wilson was a beauty and Camara pulling it in with one hand on that backwards pass and the double pass to Camara for the touchdown. Great job by Alvin Camara but then he left the game. Kendra Miller and I talked a little bit about the
Starting point is 00:27:20 TCU back last week that he's been coming on a little bit. He was a good college back, and he was huge for them in that second half. Nine carries 46 yards, 5.1 yards per carry, including a couple of them where Clint Kubiak didn't give up on the run there at the end, even though they only had one time out, and they ran them on that final drive. Washington's second half defense just wasn't anywhere near good enough, you know, and that's against not a great backup by any stretch. He was just better than the second half. He was just better than the first guy. You know, you got to knock them out. You can't be playing against a team without
Starting point is 00:28:00 Derek Carr and give up four scores on four possessions, even if the penalties were at times, they appeared to be shaky in terms of the calls. Also on the list of things that I didn't like. Washington couldn't run the football. I mean, they ended up with 137 yards rushing, but 66 of those came from Jaden. Brian Robinson, Jr., had a rough day. 21 carry 65 yards, 3.1 yards per carry. They just were not very effective, and that could have been a big part of Beattish being out for sure,
Starting point is 00:28:39 but they just were not very good and never really in rhythm offensively all day long. I want to give Cliff Kingsbury some credit for some of the shots, some of the plays that did work. And at the same time, I still think they should use more quick game. They weren't, the first drive, I think of the third quarter, we saw a lot of quick game and maybe the most quick game of the day. You know, their first drive of the third quarter, quick to Zekees, quick to Brian Robinson, Jr. And, you know, they were on the move. And actually, I think even though that drive ended in field goal. I thought that they looked in rhythm more than they did in the first half, even on
Starting point is 00:29:28 the drives in which they scored on. But yeah, they didn't run the ball well enough. Obviously, penalties were a problem today. You can't commit nine penalties, 84 yards. You had multiple unnecessary roughness penalties. Again, I think the Fowler Jr.' second one was the biggest or the worst of the calls. If they said he landed on him with full weight, it didn't seem that way. Penalties obviously hurt in this game. Look, Washington had a 23 play advantage over the Saints. They had a time of possession advantage of 40 minutes and 50 seconds to 19 minutes
Starting point is 00:30:12 in 10 seconds. I mean, a lot of that was in the first half, but a lot of it was in the second half as well. And they were on the ropes at the end of the game. How does that happen? Well, it happens when you're not finishing drives yourself offensively in the second half, two field goals and a missed field goal, and, you know, too many penalties. And then defensively, you can't get off the field, you know, and they're getting big plays. They got some big chunk plays in the second half. What else is on the list of things that I didn't like from this game? Yeah, let me go through just some other observations.
Starting point is 00:30:59 And again, I'll have more in-depth tomorrow. First of all, did you know that Washington had their 13th straight game with a first quarter touchdown drive? I actually didn't realize that coming in. It's a franchise record coming in. Let me just mention the end of the first half. I don't know what Quinn is doing. You're going to get a 14-0 lead. You've got a team that you're playing that is completely incapable of scoring.
Starting point is 00:31:34 In that moment, that's what you're thinking, unless you knew that Spencer Rattler was going to come in and play much better than Jay Caner. And after that punt, you're starting with 50 seconds to go in one time out from your two-yard line. and you're due to get the ball to start the second half. I love aggressive. I do. And indoors with Greg Joseph, who by the way has a big leg, you know, you're thinking, eh, maybe we hit something here early and go from there.
Starting point is 00:32:00 But they run McNichols on the first down play, and he gets five yards, and you call a time out from the seven-yard line. It's not like he got 15 yards. You know, if he rips one off for 12, 15, you know, 18 yards, okay. you're out to the 18, 20 yard line. Now we can drop him, we can drop Jaden back. But considering all of the sacks, all of the pressures, I just thought that that was foolish.
Starting point is 00:32:26 And Jaden hits one to Terry and they go no huddle with 24 seconds and then he throws to McCaffrey for no gain and then they just let the clock run out, which I think should have been the strategy to begin that drive. Look, if you're in a game in which you need, points. You need to go down and take advantage of every opportunity you have because this is going to be a shootout game. I get it. But aggressive thinking, I love aggressiveness just for the sake of aggressiveness. I don't love. I didn't like that. I thought that it was, to be honest with you,
Starting point is 00:33:03 kind of silly at the end of the first half to do that. And a risk not worth taking. I mean, the only way New Orleans was going to, in that moment, obviously things changed in the second half, but the only way they were going to score against you with Jay Caner in the game was if you did something stupid. And given the pressure situation that you had in that game, I wouldn't, I wouldn't have done that. What else do I have in sort of other? All right, well, let's just get to the end here. year and look at the end of this game. Their last drive, first of all, I have no problem with him kicking the field goal. Let me start with that. No problem. They were lucky to be able to
Starting point is 00:33:58 attempt a field goal. They got into that third and 23 after another penalty knocked him out of field goal range, and they tried a quick play. And the, who was on the call with Kenny Albert today? I'm forgetting who it was, the Miami linebacker. I'm blanking on his name. But he said that he didn't like that call with two minutes and 20 seconds to go. I love the call. It was a quick game, quick bubble screen to Zekees that just wasn't completed because the D-N, and I think it was Cam Jordan, just kind of got in the way of Jaden being able to make a good throw there.
Starting point is 00:34:32 But you needed field goal range to extend the lead to 10, you know? And so at second and 23, you could have run it there, and they ended up running it on third 23, but a quick bubble screen against shell coverage is not, you know, is typically a completion and a clock mover. They ended up getting the run with Brian Robinson Jr. into field goal range. And yeah, I had no problem with them trying the field goal instead of punning there at the 36-yard line. Greg Joseph has the leg. It's indoors. It was not a great snap and it wasn't a great kick. Good job I'd tress away, but not a great kick. And then, you know, when he missed it. misses it, here they go. And give New Orleans some credit in the second half overall, but on that
Starting point is 00:35:18 final drive, you know, they only had one time out, and they run the ball. Miller goes for 12 yards on first down. Then they run Miller again for another six or seven yards with like a minute 20 in the clock running. By the way, on that play, on that last drive where they threw to Juan Johnson and it was called incomplete, they went to. back and reviewed it and called it a catch and then, you know, they had to do a 10-second runoff. New Orleans did the right thing by keeping the time out and losing the 10 seconds. It went from, I think, a minute 32 to a minute 22. They had plenty of time at that point. And then, you know, they got some big plays. They got, you know, Johnson nine yards down to the eight, third and three.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Rattler throws short left a pettis. And that was, um, That was a play in which Igman O'Gennie, I think, made a decent play. I thought Washington got away with an off-sides on that third and three before the fourth and three. It looked like whomever was lined up at left defensive end, it may have been Armstrong, I forget, it looked like they were in the neutral zone
Starting point is 00:36:32 and did not get called. So I'm not sure that every single call in this game went against Washington. And then the fourth and three to Moreau, and then the clock stopped. And that, I mean, it requires taking a stopwatch to it. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow morning and have it for tomorrow's show. I think, honestly, given that the play started with 17 seconds left,
Starting point is 00:36:58 usually you can get something completed and get the clock stopped in that situation. Yeah. And then, you know, they get the touchdown pass on that with three seconds to go. And then you get the two-point conversion. Man, I thought they were going to run the ball. I thought they were going to spread it and run it with Miller because he had had so much success on that final drive. And they didn't do it. They rolled out the quarterback and played half the field.
Starting point is 00:37:33 I always think that that's a mistake. And they didn't complete it. And Washington wins the game 20 to 19. All right, there's the game take. I am getting a guest. All right, let's go down to New Orleans where Duran Payne is going to join me right now. Duran always has been, as many of you know, one of my favorite players on the team. Duran had a sack today early in the game, had a couple of pressures, had a good game for Duran. And remember, he had that bad back missed practice on Friday, but was active and played well today.
Starting point is 00:40:48 I want to start Duran with just, you know, the nature of this game, it felt like it was over, and then all of the sudden it wasn't. What changed? Man, I just know, defense-wise, we talk about it. We start off really good, but we just got to find a way to finish games. We got to find a way to focus up better and just close out games better. It really seemed like, Duran, the game changed when Spencer Rattler came in in the second half. What were the challenges in facing him versus Jake Hainer,
Starting point is 00:41:25 who you guys faced and pretty much shut down completely in the first half? Rather, he had more poised in the pocket. The other guy, he was so focused on the rush. He didn't keep his eyes down the field. But Riley, he definitely stayed in there and was trying to find his shutdowns and all that. So like I said, we just got to keep focusing up, focusing up better and closing our games better.
Starting point is 00:41:53 At the very end, let's just go to the two-point conversion, where they ran that rollout. and the throw went to the tight end. What were you guys looking for on that final play and just tell me how you guys ended up getting, you know, out of there with that one-point win on that play? A lot of teams like to do that. Just like in two-point plays and goal-line situations,
Starting point is 00:42:19 they like to go to their right and our left. So that's just like a big emphasis, flat left. So we just always talk about winning time. So winning-time moments, and that was definitely a lot. big winning time moment right there. It's been an interesting season for you this year. How did you feel today? You know, you were out at the end of last week, but I thought today was one of the better days for you. What did you think? Man, I had to sit out Friday because I had some stuff going on in my back, so I just been trying to get that situation later than I woke up this
Starting point is 00:42:55 Sunday feeling good, went out there, and I was just trying to give it my heart for the team. I definitely feel like, shoot, we've been playing the best football ball since I've been here. I'm not wanting to be selfish and just be all about my stats, man. Well, you know, I'm happy in the position that we're in. There's a lot of ball left, and I'm just excited. How are you feeling coming out of it? I feel good. ready for the next opponent.
Starting point is 00:43:32 What did you think of Jaden and Terry today? They made a lot of plays, and then they missed on a couple of close ones in the fourth quarter. You've been around here for a lot of quarterback since you arrived back in 2017. What did you think of the two of them today? Man, they missed on a couple of them, but if they didn't, it would have been a legendary day.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Even without them getting those ones that they missed on, they still had a great game, man. I feel like they just go keep getting better, like each and every Sunday, and keep on just gaining trust in each other, and then we're just going to get better from this. One more, and then I'll ask you about Philly and we'll wrap it up. So is this one of those games where you guys get back into the locker room and just take a deep breath and you're just happy you got out of there?
Starting point is 00:44:24 Man, what winning in the NFL is chairs. So we'll take them how they come. And like I said, we want to find ways to close our games, so it's not hard on us, but we'll take a win. Win is a win. All right. You know what's up next. It's another shot at the Eagles.
Starting point is 00:44:42 They're playing right now against the Steelers. Looking forward to that one, what do you guys need to do defensively to win? Oh, just handle Sequin. Just handle that run game. If we can put out that run game and try to make the one-dimensional, I feel like we have a good shot. Duran really appreciate the time. I know you've got to run. Thanks for doing this and wish you the best
Starting point is 00:45:05 the rest of the season. Stay healthy. I appreciate it. Duran Payne, everybody, following Washington's 20 to 19 win over New Orleans for their ninth win of the season. Three left. This was a big one to get,
Starting point is 00:45:22 regardless of the way it looked, Phillies up next. I'll be back tomorrow. Have a show probably out tomorrow afternoon, early evening, and I'll have another guest on that show as well. All right, that's it for this quick reaction game recap. Take care.
