You don't want it.
You don't need it, but you're going to get it anyway.
The Kevin Cheon Show is Kevin.
He'll launch this time.
That was one of the seven plays of 23 yards or more on an afternoon that was explosive offensively at Northwest Stadium.
Yeah, that's the name of it.
Diami Brown from Jaden Daniels, 41 yards out with 36 seconds left in the first half to make it 24 to 3.
I thought the game was over at 17 to 3.
It was definitely over at 24 to 3.
A no-sweat 3413 route of the woeful Cleveland Browns.

Washington 4 and 1 for the first time in 16 years.
I'm in just as the game ended.
About 30 minutes ago, John Allen is going to join me from the locker room.
The defense had a day, albeit against an incapable Cleveland offense.
But still, a good day for the defense, a much different test next week for sure in Baltimore.
This is not going to be a long show, 45 minutes or so tops.
Wanted to get it out for you tonight.
These are different days we're living in four and one, a quarterback.
So I'm going to try and get some of these initial thoughts out quickly week by week so you can have them in the evening or tonight or tomorrow morning when you wake up.
And I'll probably come back tomorrow afternoon, early evening with another show after I've had even more time to digest everything.
So another 34 points today to follow up on the 42 and the 38 the last two weeks.
That's 114 points in three games.
38 a game. That'll get it done most weeks if you're scoring 3080 a game.
30 points or more for three straight weeks just happened. It hadn't happened since 2005, 19 seasons ago.
They did it that year in the final three games of the year to clinch a playoff berth.
This is also the first time since 1997 that this franchise has won consecutive games.
by 20 or more points.
4-1 is mentioned for the first time since 2008.
Jim Zorn's team got to 4-1 after losing the opener like this team did.
They haven't been 5-1 since 1996.
They'll try to do that in Baltimore next Sunday,
where they are early 7-point underdogs.
The Ravens just beat the Bengals in overtime, 41 to 30.
That game next week, marquee on the slate of NFL games.
This one's going to be talked about everywhere all week long.
It's the battle of the different beltways.
It's the battle of a connecting parkway.
But what a test for where Washington is right now,
facing the Ravens at M&T Bank next Sunday.
But we've got plenty of time this week to talk about this one.
Let's stick with what we just witnessed,
because it was dominant again for a second consecutive week.
You know, Washington played well.
All right, let's start with that.
You can also say that the Browns are an embarrassing offensive football team,
barely NFL caliber at this point.
Deshawn Watson is bad.
He's clearly disinterested, clearly saddled with the personal baggage of the last few years.
They were also, to be fair to them,
they were banged up along their offensive line,
which didn't help them, but God, they are dreadful on offense.
I mean, majorly limited because of the quarterback in particular and the offensive line
and dysfunctional as hell.
How about that comedy show they put on after recovering the fumble to start this second half?
False starts, delay of game, 12 men on the field, just a total dysfunctional mess for them.
But, you know, there have been years, many of those years have been.
recent, like even last year, where they couldn't take advantage of a team as crippled and as
limited as Cleveland is. But today, they ripped that team to shreds. Never gave them a chance
to breathe. The offense was tested for the first time today by a Cleveland defense that is
talented and well-coached. And maybe for a brief moment, it was a bit rocky, you know,
early in the game. But after that, I mean, it was big play after big play. And then long drive
and long drive and more drives and lots of points.
And essentially, they were able to take the fourth quarter off.
I mean, if they had wanted to score 50, they certainly could have.
But they took the fourth quarter off.
They sat their starters.
They sat Jaden Daniels.
Marcus Mariotta was activated for the game.
He was in there late.
You know, it's funny, when I've switched to the red zone late in games,
you know, on Sundays when Washington's typically playing in the one o'clock window,
you know, fourth quarter, they're getting their ass kicked.
You flip it to the red zone.
Well, there wasn't much to watch in the fourth quarter today either,
but I didn't know what to do with myself.
Do I switch to the red zone or do I stick here and enjoy this?
I didn't turn it to the red zone.
But then again, I had another screen in the room,
and we were watching some of the real good finishes at 1 o'clock.
But it felt kind of weird, you know,
that they had this much breathing room that they were able to take the fourth quarter off.
It's been a long time or certainly it seems like it's,
It's been a long time.
Look, today Washington had the better coach, the better quarterback, for the most part, the better players.
When you count all the players that were out for Cleveland, especially those players along the offensive line, add it all up.
They had the far superior team.
We might be saying that many more times as the season rolls on.
You know, I'm going to get to the quarterback when we get to the game take, but the quarterback is special.
through the first five games. Very special.
And today was a test going in. I really felt like it would be. It's Jim Schwartz. He's got four games
of tape. He's got Miles Garrett. Now, Denzel Ward went out during the game. That helped a little bit,
but the game was pretty much over when they lost him. And early on, you know, he threw an interception
down by the goal line. You know, they punted a little bit more today. But look, I mean, the plays he made,
some of those plays off schedule.
Just sensational once again.
And as long as you get on the team bus with that dude,
you got a shot every week.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Let's get to my game take on today's game,
and we'll do that right after these words from a few of our sponsors.

And then we will get to John Allen from the locker room. By the way, the list of things that I did not like,
it just keeps getting shorter every week. All right. What I liked,
Let's start with explosive plays. Seven plays in the game of 23 or more yards.
You know, when you have that many explosive plays in a game, it actually renders the rest of your
offense, whether it's productive, whether it's consistent, as kind of an unimportant thing.
Because seven explosive plays, unless they all come on like two drives or three drives,
they're going to lead to enough points that the rest of what you do, unless you're turning it over, isn't going to matter as much.
Roughly speaking, if you define an explosive play as a play of 20 plus yards, and that's how most statistical groups measure an explosive play 20 plus yards,
one explosive play per drive, one play of 20 or more yards per drive, quadruples the last.
likelihood of scoring on that drive versus a drive that does not have an explosive play,
a play of 20 plus yards. Of the seven explosive plays they had today, six of them led to 27 of
their 34 points. Here's the list. Second drive of the game. This is the only explosive that did not
lead to points. It's the off-schedule Terry throw, Jaden to Terry throw of 66 yards,
Man, what a throw that was.
By the way, it was on third and 13.
The interception came a few plays later, so they didn't score off that.
By the way, third and 13, off schedule, 66 yards.
This guy is really starting to resemble an elite quarterback.
That's what elite quarterbacks do.
I'll leave it at that right now.
Mahomes.
Did I say something?
I'll leave it at that right now.
That was the only drive with an explosive that they didn't score off of.
The fifth drive of the game was the 50-yard run by Echler.
That led to a field goal.
The sixth drive of the game, Jaden's fourth and three, 34-yard scramble.
That led to a Robinson Jr. touchdown two plays later.
The seventh drive, still in the first half, that 41-yard touchdown pass to Diami Brown.
Drive two of the second half, 23 yards to Terry, and a 23-yard scramble.
That led to a touchdown in that second drive.
of the second half that led to that 31 to 6 lead.
And then they had a 33-yard screen to Echler on Drive 3.
That led to a touchdown.
By the way, number one on the list of 20-plus yard plays coming into this weekend.
Washington had seven in one game of 23 or more.
But coming into this weekend's games, the teams that led the league in 20-plus yard plays,
They were Minnesota and San Francisco.
They had 18 total in four games.
That's four and a half per game for the leaders in the league coming into this weekend.
Washington had seven of 23 or more yards today.
Pretty damn good.
Number two on the list of things that I like, the defense.
I'll start with the thing you have to say today so that we don't get carried away and look stupid a week from now.
Because this was a factor.
Cleveland's offense came in to this game, ranked 32nd in the league offensively in DVOA.
And honestly, it looked like it should have been much worse than 32nd.
Like it should have been 42nd if there were 42 teams.
I mean, they should have been 10 rows behind based on today, whomever 31 was.
They were injured up front along their offensive line.
I do understand that.
But wow, what a fall for Deshawn Watson.
who was one hell of a quarterback in Houston.
You know, for the young man, I hope he gets all his personal issues fixed
because he's had a lot of them.
I don't feel badly for him.
I feel badly for the women that he was involved with.
He's a terrible quarterback right now, sticking to football,
a terrible quarterback.
Why the hell they insist on playing him instead of James Winston?
I have an idea it's called the contract,
but they have no chance of being effective offensively.
with him. They went to the playoffs last year because of Joe Flacco. Flacco came in and led them to the
playoffs. He's horrendous, Deshawn Watson is, and good for Joe Witt Jr. to essentially say,
we're selling out to stop the run. We're putting this game defensively on Deshawn Watson's arm.
And more than that, by the way, his ability to process, read defenses, handle pressure under duress.
He did none of those things when Washington stomped them on the run.
The defense had a good day beyond Cleveland just being God awful.
14 yards on eight carries rushing for the Browns in the first half.
A team that had been bad, Washington was bad against the run, against everybody,
shut down Cleveland and said, yeah, no, you're not going to run on us,
because we'll put 11 in the box if we have to. It wasn't that.
And we'll see if number four can beat us with his arm because we're pretty sure he can't.
Cleveland got some yards, you know, in the second half.
when the game was completely over.
But eight carries 14 yards in the first half.
Next week, a different story with Baltimore.
But they did something they had to do
because Deshawn Watson is never going to beat you with his arm.
He's never going to beat you with his mind.
He's certainly not going to beat you in drop-back mode.
They had to run the ball, Cleveland did, to take the pressure off him.
They didn't because Washington did not allow them to do it.
The pass rush defensively was outstanding.
I don't know what the blitz percentages are going to look.
look like, but they got after him. He holds it too long. He doesn't see it coming. It's just a
disaster. It led to so many pressures. Seven sacks for this team that was next to last in
sacks coming in. How about 68 total yards in the first half for the Browns? 85 total yards
midway through the third quarter when Washington took a 31 to 6 lead. The Browns were one for
13 on third downs. Remember coming into this game? Washington
dead last in third down defense. And by the way, Cleveland was dead last and third down
offense. And I said, something's got to give what Gabe was Cleveland's offense. Washington
defensively stopped their first 12. The one conversion came with like five minutes to go in the
game. There were so many standout performances. I'm going to start, though, with Frankie Louvo.
He is right now their best defensive player. He really is. Quan Martin, I think, is really good, too.
He got hurt, so that's going to be interesting.
But Frankie Louvre, number four, is their best all-around defensive player.
Two and a half sacks for Louvue, multiple quarterback pressures.
He is, he's got a motor, man.
Bobby Wagner's solid.
How about John Allen, who will be my guest?
He had a sack, had a couple of quarterback hits, had a big stop on a first down screen that he sniffed out and stopped for minus eight yards.
I thought he was outstanding.
Who else did I have on my list?
Dorrance Armstrong again for a second straight game, I thought, played pretty well.
I'm sure after I look at this again, there will be more.
But defensively, they just completely annihilated Cleveland.
I mean, Cleveland ended up with 212 yards,
but most of that was in the fourth quarter with the game out of reach.
Washington's defense DVOA-wise, which was 30th,
is going to jump up a little bit.
Now here's the thing about DVOA.
It accounts for, you know, game context and opponent,
and the opponent offensively who was 32nd in the league.
But a really good job overall.
Just one turnover, and that came in the second half of the game already decided,
forced.
That could be on the list of the things that I did not like,
but they were just so dominant.
It would be almost unfair.
All right, number three on the list, Jaden Daniels.
I'll give you the grade.
in a moment. But a couple of things. You know, it started, you know, not smoothly. He's facing a guy
in Jim Schwartz, who's a pretty damn good creative coordinator, and this guy can really get after
a quarterback after, you know, four games of tape, something Todd Bowles didn't have, something that
Bowen didn't have in New York, and then Cincinnati and Arizona's defenses just weren't good enough.
But the game started with SAC on the first third down of the game,
an interception on that second drive right at the one-yard line.
That came after that big play to Terry.
But look, 14 completions for 238 yards.
17 yards per throw that was completed per completion,
and nine and a half yards per attempt.
The 14 for 25 is going to drop his overall completion percentage
from 82% plus to 77%.
But the big plays on schedule and off schedule were terrific.
And then they're running.
11 carries 82 yards.
By the way, first player in NFL history, Jaden Daniels,
to have 1,000 passing yards and 250 plus yards rushing in their first five career games.
There were, you know, I just got a couple of notes here real quickly.
You know, I've got to look at that sack.
There were four rushing.
It looked like Cosmi lost Zadarius Smith and Jaden didn't have much of a chance.
The pick he's going to want back.
That's thrown poorly and into coverage.
Ouso Coromo, great job catching it.
After the incredible 66-yard off-schedary, man, he can throw the deep ball, can he?
He missed a couple today, but he can really throw the deep ball.
There was a throw on their third drive versus zone where he kind of sprinted right and through
to Terry. I love, he can throw on the move accurately, throws from the pocket accurately.
There is the, on the fourth drive, there's a third and ten from the end zone. This is a bit of
criticism here. They go four verts that looked like, and he's got Ertz wide open and he overthrew him.
You know the play I'm talking about deep in their own zone? It was after that very long punt that
got downed at the one-yard line, and they just decided to let him, you know,
take a shot there on third down and he had Ertz and he over threw him.
There was a really good throw to McCaffrey on a third and five.
Great catch. I'm sorry, not a great throw.
My notes, just going through him for the first time.
It was actually a throw.
I've got to go back and look at it.
I don't know if it was touched at the line of scrimmage,
but it was thrown inside to McCaffrey.
So I'd knock him down a bit on that throw,
but what a great catch by McCaffrey.
The second 13 deep shot that was nearly picked off
is another slight knock by Ward.
Ward had a beat on that ball.
He probably shouldn't have thrown that.
But the rest of it's really good.
The fourth and three where he takes off
and runs for 34 yards, it's just so smooth.
The Diami Brown deep ball for touchdown.
That ball's out with Diami like at the 20-yard line.
Just such a good deep ball thrower.
He did miss a couple.
I understand that today.
And yeah, he missed one of the three.
the opener and you know what quarterbacks miss throws occasionally um the uh hold on for one second
there was oh on their second drive of the third quarter the throw to terry mcclorn um where
ecler does an outstanding job and pass pro is such a good throw which he follows up with another
big scramble it was like a two-man route on that play um second drive of the you know the first drive
they had the fumble. You know, you had the
Terry McCorn
fumble. And then the second drive,
you know, it starts off with that
pass, you know, it's
a really good job by
Echler to pick up the blitz. The balls out
quickly. Terry turns it into a 23-yard
play. And then, you know, he essentially
scrambles on first and 10
for 23 yards.
And then there
is a third and six where
he throws a ball to Diami
Brown. It's third and 70. He throws to
Diami Brown on the right-hand side, right in front of Delpit. What a strike that was. Great timing.
I think, you know, Greg Olson was talking about, I think, McCaffrey being another option on that play.
But how can you complain about a third and seven play where the ball is on time? He catches, you know,
Diami Brown almost coming out of the break. It's right there. They move the sticks.
They ran quarterback counter for six yards at the nine-yard line. They seemed to
like that quarterback counter to the weak side of the defense in the red zone. Keep an eye on that more
often. I don't love that, but I think they're running it to the weak side. He has room
on that side like he did there to get out of bounds without taking a hit. Yeah. Well, I'll get to
this one. I get to the list of things I didn't like. I mean, look, I mean, it was another A performance.
It started out rocky, but at the end of the day, the guy just made too many plays. I mean, his
QBR, which isn't out yet, is going to be in the 70s, I would think, maybe 80s. Maybe not.
Well, the 82 rushing yards, his QBR is going to be 80 plus, certainly 70 plus.
And that would mean that in three consecutive games, if he ends up with a QBR in this game of 70 plus,
his QBR against Cincinnati was 92.6, he was 89.5 against Arizona.
And this game is going to be 70. I think it's going to be 80.
right around 80. I mean, the 82
rushing yards, the yards per attempt.
The completion percentage was low.
He had the interception in the red zone.
He took some sacks.
Two of them, right?
Maybe three of them.
I give him an A. I don't know how you can give him
anything lower than an A. You want to
really be strict and give him a B.
Plus, if you're doing that, you're doing it based
on the fact that he was just so
perfect in the
other games.
Next on the list.
offensive line right now is winning a lot in pass pro, and they are absolutely mauling people
in the run game. This is the best defense and the best defensive coach they have faced.
215 yards rushing. Okay, I know that 50 came on an Echler run and 34 came on a Daniels run and another
23 came on a Daniels run, you know, but McNichols, who has great vision and great feet, he had
44 yards. I mean, Echler and McNichols and Robinson combined for 20 carries for
130 yards, basically. I mean, and then you got Jayden's right. Even if you take
Jaden's rushing yards out of it, you still have a, you know, a 145, 150-yard day at 4-something,
4-8, 4-9 a carry. You know, Brian Robinson Jr. had two touchdowns, but he's the one that
people are really keen on.
Echler was outstanding.
The offensive line,
offensive line, another outstanding performance.
By the way, a couple of the offensive line,
and Biotish is outstanding.
Okay, he's been really good for them.
Cosmy, I think he gave up that first sack,
was Adairius Smith, but Cosmy,
and when they counter with Wiley out in front,
it looks really imposing.
And today was more of a test defensively.
Yeah, so the O-line is on the list of things that I liked.
Echler mentioned him.
I mean, come on, man.
I mean, Echler, six carry 67 yards, another two catches for 30 yards.
Echler is such a weapon.
And McNichols does a really good job as well.
I'm going to put Terry on the list of things that I liked,
even though he did have a fumble and he did have a drop.
He dropped the touchdown pass.
But four catches, 112 yards.
Big play, obviously, the 66-yard pass.
I'm going to put them on there.
There's too many, the good plays were too good to offset a couple of the plays that he'd love to have back.
Diami Brown was a weapon today.
I thought Zakias, he only had one catch for 10 yards, but I thought he blocked his ass off,
and then I thought his punt returns were outstanding.
Again.
He did have a drop from Mario to end the game.
Who else did I want to put on the list of things that I liked?
Well, Cybert, right?
Cybert again, two for two.
He has not missed yet as a kicker for this football team.
Amazing.
He is now, what is he for the year?
He is now, we'll get it right here.
He's 14 for 14.
Right?
I think he's 14 for 14.
Hasn't missed a PAT either.
He's been outstanding.
Special teams continues to come up with some big hits, too.
Who did I point out early in the game?
There was a really good hit.
That's somewhere in my notes.
I can't find it right now.
It was after Washington's first score.
Oh, I think it was McNichols.
I think McNichols had a big tackle.
on a kickoff return.
I think he was really good on special teams.
So there you go.
That's the list of things that I liked.
I mean, we could have probably also mentioned the coach and the coordinators.
I mean, there's no doubt that right now, you know,
our guy Cliff Kingsbury has defensive coordinators guessing.
All right, on the list of things that I didn't like,
It's still only one takeaway today, and it came with the game already decided.
You want to see more takeaways? I'd like to.
They had two turnovers today.
They had obviously the interception in the red zone, and then the Terry fumble to start the second half.
Now, I didn't think that was going to hurt them.
Like even if Cleveland had put it in, it's 24 to 10, and they weren't going to get it in because they were a complete mess.
But, you know, they lost the turnover battle.
And then lastly, this is, you know, not as big a knit as I pick.
in the opener against Tampa Bay.
But I really don't know why Jaden had to get sacked up 34 to 6 with five minutes to go in the game.
Does anybody else, five minutes to go in the third quarter, excuse me.
Not five minutes to go in the game.
It was different in Tampa.
About five minutes to go in the third quarter, he's got him dropping back at midfield
on a second and five in a 34 to six game.
Let's not do that.
Let's have him hand the ball off.
Let's have him throw quick bubble.
no dropbacks, no sacks, no injuries.
He got hit on that one by two different Browns players.
There you go. That's it on the list of things I didn't like
because I went through some of Terry's throws that I didn't love.
On the list of other observations in this one.
Look, I don't think it was a sellout today,
but you could tell, and I've already been told,
and was texted this during the game,
that it was a great home crowd, a great Washington home crowd.
Maybe we get into some sellouts with some of the upcoming games.
They have not sold out either home game, and you've got a smaller stadium than you've ever had.
I don't know if the Panthers game in two weeks will sell out, but maybe the Bears game will.
Certainly the Steelers game will sell out on November 10th.
Certainly the Cowboys game will sell out on November 24th.
And the Eagles later in the season and probably the Falcons too.
but I heard that the crowd was, you know, really into Jaden and that it was, you know, a pro-Washington
crowd. That's good news. I made this one note. They had it, they seemed to have a wrinkle on a
play every week or a new play. Every team does. I'm not saying that they're unique. But there
was a play on the fifth drive in the second quarter. Okay, this was, by the way, after
the big run by Echler, which he did fumble at the end of that run,
and Beiotish recovered it, right? I think it was a Beaudish?
No, Beiotish threw a big block. It was Zakias that
recovered the fumble. I think there are a couple plays later. There's a second
down and 11. And it's a really cool play. I'm going to go back
and watch it, but I actually rewound it. And it's like,
it looks like a draw, and then he fakes the draw,
but then he gives on the draw to Brian Robinson, Jr. and he goes for
10 of the 11 yards. It's like they're getting them to hesitate. Like it's second and 11,
and here comes the draw. So we're going to come up and play it. And then it's a fake draw,
so they start to back up. But then he turns around and get to Brian Robinson, Jr.
Anyway, I loved that play. Every week, there's something interesting in Kingsbury's approach.
I'm sure I'll come up with some more things when I get more time to look at this. But,
Yeah, overall, a really impressive, dominant 34 to 13 performance.
They're four in one.
This is a lot of fun.
It's not a four and one that seems lucky at all.
They have been the better team for four straight games.
The giant game, I say they were the better team.
I mean, to be fair, a kicker for the Giants probably means a loss.
But the last four games, I mean, outstanding.
right? Just outstanding.
They were, you know, again, like they were three for six in the red zone.
That's not perfect. But on a normal, if we hadn't had perfection, the last, you know,
three games drive-wise and red zone-wise, you'd probably be, you know, thrilled with three
out of six. Look, in the first half, you only punted one, you punted twice and you threw an interception,
but you scored on four of seven drives.
You ended up scoring on, I think it was,
nine of 11 drives in this game.
Let me add this up.
0 for 1, 0 for 2, 1 for 3, 1 for 4, 2 for 5, 3 for 6, 4 for 7, 4 for 8,
5 for 9, 6 for 10, 6 for 11, 6 for 12.
All right, so 6 for the first 10 when the game got to 34 6.
I mean, come on, 60% scoring drives, scoring on drives.
They're just a really good offensive football team right now.
Really good offensive football team.
And let me just throw this out.
You know, the kicker who hasn't missed, he's been big.
He's been a factor in this.
And when you play competitive teams coming up, you know, like this coming weekend,
those three points here and there, those fourth down conversions here and there.
Washington, by the way, still perfect on fourth down conversions.
They are now, I think they were six for six coming into the game.
They're now eight for eight on fourth downs.
They were eight for 17 on third down today.
So I bet that the eight, even though that wasn't, they're 53% that they were averaging,
they'll probably still be the number one third down offense in the league.
Overall, great day, four in one.
All right, we'll talk to John Allen to finish this up next.

October is the best time to buy new windows, and that's because winter is right around the
corner, so if you can get your new windows in to replace those old windows, you're going
to save big on your heating bills during the winter.
your old inefficient windows are costing you hundreds of dollars a year in heating bills, air conditioning bills.
I want you to test drive your windows right now. What does that mean? Open each one. Do they open correctly? Do they stay open? Are they hard to open? Do you see condensation or leaks? Are the windows moldy?
If you find out through this process that you got older windows, understand that much of that cold air,
in this summertime, and much of that warm air in the wintertime is escaping your home,
and it's costing you a lot more to cool your house and heat your house.

All right.
Joining me right now from the locker room after the 34 to 13 win over Cleveland is number 93,
John Allen.
You know, I've been thinking about you actually recently because after all of these years now,
you know, you're on a team that's being talked about not only locally but nationally.
Today, another convincing win.
A great day for the defense.
But what's it feel like to be a part of something?
that's got this kind of momentum?
Honestly, I feel very blessed.
I feel very blessed.
You know, the last seven years have been tough at talent and challenging.
So to be a part of the organization and a team like this, I'm just less than grateful, honestly.
Sack, a couple of quarterback pressures for you today.
Why today, why the best effort defensively of the season on this particular Sunday?
You know, when you look at how the defense of the back's plate, I think they play really
played really well. They might not get a lot of credit because they didn't get a pick.
But whenever you have, however many facts we have, you got to give credit to the
defensive backs because they're taking away his first three and allowing us to have a chance
to get the back. So defense of the backs play well. The D-line, we play with so much energy and
effort and guys were just flying around. And it was just like, you know, total defensive performance
on our side. It was exciting and full of energy and guys really short of the play in response.
John, one of the keys to the game I thought going in was just, you know, stopping
the run something you guys had struggled to do in the first four games of the year.
They had 14 yards on eight carries in the first half.
Why were you guys successful against the run today?
I mean, I think everybody was flying around.
I'm playing with good fifth.
And, you know, effort and energy can overcome a lot of mistakes you make as a defense.
So guys are running around, flying around.
And unfortunately, I think they ended up getting 100,
but I think we really came in with the mindset of stopping the run early and often,
and we were able to do that.
Yeah, they got a lot of those after the game had been decided for sure.
How much of a lift is it when you go out there knowing that you got an offense that right now is unstoppable?
It's exciting. It's exciting. Like I said, the defense is going to be a time late in the season where we're going to be needed.
So we're just focused on what we've got to do. Thank God we have Jaden and all those guys that Terry.
But we're just trying to focus on ourselves as a defense because we know we're going to have to play well.
So that's what we're focusing on.
I think we took another step in the right direction.
I got to get your thoughts on the quarterback, Jaden Daniels, through five games.
You've been around here for a while.
You're 29 years old already.
So what's it like to have that guy when you step on the bus headed to a game?
It's exciting, man.
And I say the coolest thing about him is his day-to-day attitude.
I think for me that's the biggest thing to see how he carries himself,
good, better, and different the way he comes to work, the humbleness.
You just love to see that.
Who on your side of the ball, you know, today or even prior today, John,
have you been super impressed with?
Benjamin St. Drew, I know as a defensive back, when you make a bad play,
it's magnified Thompson, but when you look at the physicality he's played with
him.
I mean, we give him the toughest challenges, guard and the best receiver every game,
and the way he competes, man, I've really been impressed with him all season.
What's Bobby Wagner meant so far to you?
I mean, you're a veteran, you're a leader, but you've got a Hall of Famer on your roster.
What's he meant?
Man, Bobby is just such a great guy.
There's some guys in the league that when you get to know them and you see how they work,
it's impossible for them not to be successful.
And the way he works is just super impressed with him.
If you didn't know anything, you would think he was an undrafted free agent with the way he worked.
So it's exciting to be around.
it's the guy that we trust and we believe in.
He's going to lay it all on the line for us and vice versa.
Derek Forrest played for the first time in a long time.
How do you think he played today?
How do he fit in?
Derek Forrester is a guy who's going to give you everything he has,
everything he has, everything will play.
So the way he plays, I was not surprised,
but I'm glad he deserves him, man.
He's a heck of a player.
Last one, it's nice to play in front of mostly our fans, isn't it?
It has been unreal.
One of the coolest moments this season,
is when on the road in Arizona, our fans broke out and held to the Redskins chance.
And it was just such a magical moment for a lot of guys who have been here actually played on that team.
Didn't see that enthusiasm with most of the fans halfway across the country.
On the road, it was impressive.
And it was just exciting.
All right.
I lied.
One more.
Ravens next week in Baltimore, they just won in overtime over Cincinnati to get to three and two.
They've won three games in a row.
Talk about that challenge.
We know what kind of times they're going to bring.
I mean, they have the best running game in the league.
So seasons along, we're going to have our handful, but we're excited for that opportunity
and looking forward to the game.
Congrats. I'm happy for you. I'll talk to you soon.
All right. Appreciate it.
John Allen, everybody, he had to go quickly, but I really appreciate him giving us some time.
Thanks to the PR people out there as well.
All right, I told you this would be a quick recap show.
It is. We are done. I'll be back tomorrow.
