Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a paid message from GoFundMe. Meet Juan Naola. When a son was hospitalized for a viral infection, Juan started a GoFundMe to pay for medical expenses. It was 5K to pay the bill for my son, and I needed only 22 hours. It was amazing. People really trust on GoFundMe.
Starting point is 00:00:19 How did Juan raise $5,000 in less than a day? He posted a short video on GoFundMe, telling his story in 30 seconds. 30 seconds. Be specific, be quick, and tell what are you going to be using the funds for? I was nervous to do it because it doesn't feel okay to ask money, but you shouldn't be nervous.
Starting point is 00:00:39 Sometimes you just have to do it and see the results. We were able to save my son's life. Thanks to GoFundMe that we still have my son with us. Start your GoFundMe today at gofundme.com. That's gofundme.com. Gofundme.com. This message reflects one person's experience. man. It's finally getting some buzz. They showed some of it. I guess the first look, whatever it was.
Starting point is 00:01:09 People are saying it's pretty good. Am I surprised? I'll discuss. Am I surprised at how much I laughed during the naked gun trailer? We'll discuss. Was I surprised at how bat shit crazy the Megan trailer was? We'll discuss. There's a lot to talk about. We got a lot of stories here today with myself and Steph Sabra. It's going to be a good conversation. Steph has just watched both the Megan trailer and naked gun. We'll discuss that, but we've got a lot to to go over. So throw your questions in. Anything you want to talk to us about? Just me and Steph today. So let's get to it. It's Christian Arnold Show. It's Thursday.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Here we go. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. Steph Sabra is with me here on the show today. Hello, Steph. How you? I like the hair. I like the new call. Hi, thank you. It's nice. So what did you, uh, Let's get right into this. Did you, so you came into the room, and I was like, listen, there were two trailers that just dropped because that was the reason why we were late starting is that two trailers dropped. I came back and two trailers had dropped. I had enough time this time.
Starting point is 00:02:27 I was like, you know what? I'm going to do both these reactions. I did. Luke helped me out. He put the stuff in there. He got the trailers up and ready to go. And then I told Steph, I was like, did you watch these yet? And she said, no, I didn't get a chance to.
Starting point is 00:02:39 So I said, look, I would have to run out to the restaurant real quick. You go and watch these. And she did. And I have a feeling that you laughed pretty loud during the naked gun trailer. I was not expecting Liam Neeson to come out like that. I was expecting the girl to be like an assassin. But I didn't. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:01 I was not expecting. And then the way he put his leg up at the end, I just love the older, like, legendary actors just doing whatever they want now and like being okay with being funny there was so much that worked about this little teaser trailer on so many different levels because have you seen you yes okay so the original is a classic it's one of my favorite comedies of all time and you wonder right away okay they're doing a remake of a naked gun and how are you going to outdo Leslie Nielsen right um and then when they talk about Liam Nissen you're like okay you could see him doing it and I actually mentioned that I the comedy for me that hit was when he did the Lego movie, but then obviously a million ways to die in the West,
Starting point is 00:03:45 whatever the hell that movie's called with Seth MacFarlane who's doing this. And I go, okay, yeah, he can pull it off. And I was like, well, what's the tone going to be? Is it going to be as silly as the, you know, original? And they open it like it's a normal Liam Neeson taken type movie, this trailer. So like, oh, okay, that's the kind of tone, but they're going to go ridiculous. It had like dark night vibes to, like the bank scene. Easily. And, and, but then by, Because I thought the same thing you did. I was like, okay, so this little girl is clearly going to be the bleeder or the assassin or whatever.
Starting point is 00:04:15 It's so stupid. Somehow she turns into this six foot six, Liam Neeson. And yes, the pose with the thing on, he goes, I'm Frank Drevin, a different kind of Frank Drebbott. And I was like, all right, well, they're definitely on the nose. But what got me was when they are in, they're looking at the old cast members. And he's like, dad, dad, first of all, is hilarious. said it's his dad second of it then you paul walker who's buddy is his dad and then the oj joke which was fantastic um it's not it's not it's a sequel it's not it's not a remake it's a it is a sequel to the
Starting point is 00:04:52 franchise which is great reveal that was really fun i love how they're all like kneeled down by the photos of their fathers like it's just such a funny detail like making fun of themselves but also like adding to the original i have to rewatch the original because i watched it watched it with my family when i was super young but it was in the same vein as different but it was gave me the uh it was funny like uh pink panther and austin powers yeah yeah so it was always really funny and i just um when i first heard the announcement i was like huh feels like another unnecessary reboot but this was this feels like kind of kind of this feels fun and like an homage to the legacy.
Starting point is 00:05:40 That's exactly right. That's exactly right. It feels like an homage. It feels like they're not just trying to get a cash grab off or they're going to pay respect to what came before them. Because when I saw that, and I forgot that Seth McFarland was part of it. But go ahead. The question I had, though, when I was watching this, when was the last time you went to the movies to see a comedy? And everybody was out, you know, laughing their asses off.
Starting point is 00:06:07 It's been a minute, right? And I said in my reaction, no Deadpool Wolverine, but you weren't really going there for that. You were going there for it goes the MCU and you knew the deadpool. You're talking about like classic Will Ferrell movies. Yeah, comedies. Like when was the last time you were in the theater with people just losing their minds laughing? And I was like, I really hope that this movie hits because I want to know. They debuted this at CinemaCon.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I would assume so. I don't know. I don't know. I hope they did because I want to talk to Koi or whoever else, whoever else, because I can imagine that that theater was losing their minds during this. It was only a minute. But I want to be, I want to feel like that again. I haven't been in a comedy in a while and I'm really excited for this movie. I know, me too.
Starting point is 00:07:00 I feel like this is a comedy that I could take with my parents. And it, but you could also take like younger friends to to it. And it would be, it seems like it's going to be really funny. It's like hard figuring out what the exact mixture it is that works for a comedy to be in theater. Right. Because I've seen some funny movies on streaming like, like this is a random one, but, um, Ricky Kinnicki or something like that with John Cena. Oh, yeah. And it was really, I thought it was like a cute funny movie, but I was like such a good choice to put this on prime.
Starting point is 00:07:34 and just stream it. I wouldn't have gone to the theater, but I definitely enjoyed watching it at home. But then I see this and I'm like, oh, I'm glad that's, and obviously it has the Naked Gun franchise and Liam Neeson attached to it and Seth. But it is like, it is exciting to think,
Starting point is 00:07:52 because there was a minute where I was like, are we just done with comedies and theaters? Right. Or not going to be able to make enough at the box office for it to be fulfilled. But I hope this is one of them. Because to answer your question, I think the last time I remember, I don't know if it's actually the last time, but I remember everyone was clamoring around girls trip. And they're like, it's the next.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Yeah. I could see it in theater. And I did. And it was like the laugh out loud type movie. Yeah. It's interesting because, as you were saying, you know, it's like, okay, there has, there are sometimes these movies will come out and you're like, I just want to watch that on streaming. And I'm glad that it did. This is a comedy I could watch.
Starting point is 00:08:33 but there hasn't been that one. Like, oh, that needs to be in theaters, right? Like, I have to be in theaters. And this is going to be that. I want to watch this with a full packed crowd, and I want to see how they're going to make this work. I love everybody involved in it. So I'm on board.
Starting point is 00:08:50 The other thing was now the Megan trailer came out. Megan, now the first one, as I said it again, my reaction, I don't know if it's live on the channel yet, but basically what I said was when I saw this movie with Brett, I didn't really get it, the first one, right? And I was like, this is silly, the dancing thing. I didn't get it.
Starting point is 00:09:10 It went over my head. But I watched it with my 13-year-old about, I don't know, maybe three, four months ago. And something clicked and I went, oh, I get it. Like, I get what this movie is. And I went up really enjoying it the second time I watched it, which is, you know, sometimes you get those questions. Like, is there a movie that you saw the first time that you didn't like? And then the second time you said, oh, it's not bad.
Starting point is 00:09:30 That's Meg for me, right? They knew what they wanted to do. It was like a child's play type movie with a little added extra humor and the ridiculousness of it. This trailer was that shit crazy. Insanity. Insanity. They're going, they're going times a thousand.
Starting point is 00:09:48 And now Megan's a good guy, I guess. Right. No, when I first saw the plastic figurine, I was like, oh my, no,
Starting point is 00:09:57 what is happening. But it was really, it's like this movie where it is so weird, because you know I'm like hit or miss with horror but I love horror comedy and I thought that they did such a good job with making Megan like such a weird weird concept but like different from Chuckie but similar and I think that this is cool like I like when you see creators who are like I know my franchise I know my characters and we're just going to take it in the direction we feel fit and it is doing what it did in the first one which is like creating kind of like this bizarre agreement with its audience, but then maximizing that and being like, okay, we know you loved Megan and the mom and daughter combo.
Starting point is 00:10:45 So we're just going to continue this legacy. Right. Yeah. I mean, they, like there's the first one they kind of, they obviously knew what it was. And this one,
Starting point is 00:10:57 they seem to know exactly what it is, right? It's like it's so over the top and so, like they steal the design of Megan's. You know, just new Terminator model that's out there, but they need the help of Megan now. And they're stupid enough to put her into another body, but they make her taller now so she can kick ass. And then it's like a super, it's like the Fast and Furious Five version of the first one. Yeah. And so what you're either going to say, like I said, you're going to come out of that movie going, they knew exactly what they doing.
Starting point is 00:11:29 It was fun. I laughed and it was so stupid. I enjoyed it. We're going to go, all right, I think we're done with Megan now. Yeah, exactly. I really hope it is something like Chucky where you're like, wow, how many Chucky movies have they made, but they're all kind of fun? Like it doesn't take itself too seriously.
Starting point is 00:11:47 It's not a massive budget. It's just like. This trailer definitely didn't take itself seriously at all. It's like it was ridiculous. It's just ridiculous. And I think they, and I was worried with the first one because I knew about like the TikTok dance and kind of. kind of like that angle and sometimes I see um shows and movies implementing new age media and it
Starting point is 00:12:10 doesn't work for me for example in rap shit isa ray's secondary show which isa ray is one of my favorite creators so I still liked a lot of the show the one part that took me out is that they would show like the screen if someone was facetiming the whole screen would become the face time view and like the whole TikTok would become the view I don't love that. And I know it's our every day and I know people are trying to stay true to the day. But something about it takes me out of the movie. But that their TikTok, the dancing and it was so they just found a good balance in that movie.
Starting point is 00:12:46 So I hope they can find it again. This is a different balance for sure. Yeah. It's a very different balance. So yeah, it was, but it's fun. It's interesting. I get it. What do you guys think about all this, though?
Starting point is 00:13:00 Do you think that it's something that's going to work? Is it not going to work? What say you guys? Tons of other stuff to talk about. So what happened was we were, it was a super chat about Millie Alcott, right?
Starting point is 00:16:37 Yeah. First, Roxy called her. I didn't even, nothing, nothing to even remotely sound like that. And I said, that, that's not the name. I said, Millie Alcock. And she goes, she goes, yeah, Millie Alcott. And I go, no, cock. And she goes, cock.
Starting point is 00:16:52 And then that was, push out. And that was like, and that was it. And then she was wearing this, the best part was that it, it clipped out. And then at the issue is wearing the same thing. So like where you are, just had it out of nowhere. And she was, and it just looked like someone said it looked like she had Tourette's. Like she would be in the middle of having a conversation. Then I hit the button.
Starting point is 00:17:13 And then she was. Oh, my God. Absolutely. It was great. Anyway, so you got to get to, can Steph get to 99? She used the comeback king that every single time we're about to sign off. and it looks like it's over. She comes back and does it. So we'll see. Yes, we can do it. I'm dealing with my taxes today, so I need support.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Oh, there you go. Listen, so you might know my story here. You might not know my story with the He-Man movie. I mean, it's pretty well documented, but for a very long time. I mean, when I was, when I was working at Warner Brothers, I was very close to getting this movie made. And then there is people just couldn't get on the same page. I believe it should be it should be Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings. I had been very, very disappointed with a lot of things I had heard in general about human movies that have been coming out, castings and all that. And then when Travis Knight was announced, it was very excited.
Starting point is 00:18:18 And then they said that it was going to be basically based on Earth, that he was going to be on, going to be on planet Earth for a lot of it. And I said, oh, come on. And he's walking around with two security guards and the sword. I'm like that. So he's going to be a disaster. Well, it looks like I might be in the minority with that thought because they debuted
Starting point is 00:18:39 some footage at Cinemicon. Amazon MGM Studios used its cinema con presentation to offer a first look behind the scenes of the live action. live action Masters of the Universe film. According to attendees at the event, there was a sizzle reel. It was shown with the cast and the crew shown in action and more importantly in full costume and some massive sets in the UK where the project has been shooting since January. All the He-Man characters reportedly shown, including Jared Leto, a skeletor that his face was kept hidden by a hood.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Nicholas Galzantine's He-Man was seen in his full blonde glory with his hair blowing in the wind along with plenty of B-roll of the actors' workouts and flexing in the full battle costume. So far, the reception seems to be quite positive, with several noting a quite colorful 1980s aesthetic and authenticity toward the original cartoon. Travis Knight directs the film based on the popular tour line with the project having the backing of Mattel films and escape artists. Also as Camilla Mendez, as Tila, Idris Elba, as Duncan Man in Arms, Alison Brie, as Evil Lynn, Miranda Baccaran as a sorceress, James Purifoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlina, Sam C. Wilson as Trapjaw.
Starting point is 00:19:55 The list goes on and on a line. Night is directing from a screenplay by Chris Butler based on a story by Aaron Ney, Adam Ney and Dave Callahan. Story specifics are under wraps, but for now the film opens in cinemas during next summer June 5th, 2026. Oh man. I don't know what to think. I don't know what to think because I didn't see the footage, you know. I didn't see the stuff. I didn't see the imagery. But what I did see. is the imagery of him with two security guards and sort of hate the fact that they're on Earth at all. But if they're only on Earth for like five or ten minutes and then he's whisked away and they go against the lore a little bit, but they take it into attorney and we stay at attorney and we're out of Earth because it really makes no sense because he man's mom. I'm going to geek out
Starting point is 00:20:38 and be a nerd here. Heman's mom is from Earth, not Heman. Heman is not from her or an attorney. Like Star Lord. Well, yeah, that's what they're doing with him. But that's what they're doing with he's essentially seems like he's the star lord maybe he was born in a tourney and then she hit him on earth i don't know what happens i don't know but from what people are saying a cinema con it looks like it's true to the original animated series now i guess maybe that's the other thing too i love the originally 80s series i love it i wouldn't go that route if i was uh producing i would i would go the route of the the cartoon network 2002 version which was essentially what i was talking about more of the Lord of the Ring's serious kind of science fiction aspect of it took itself with the
Starting point is 00:21:24 lore that they had from thousands of years of lineage and things of that nature. They explain how Skeletor became Skeletor. I liked that version. I love the original, but it's cheesy. It's got that 80s cheese feel to it. The 2002 did not have that. But you hear this. I don't know if you necessarily were excited about any of this in general, but you hear
Starting point is 00:21:43 this? Do you get excited at all stuff? Yeah, I like the cast. I think that there is, I'm not huge on the He-Man universe. I know it's a beloved. So I feel like I might fare better than a true fan, but I'm not sure because it feels like from this, that they're giving some, like, they're, you know, respecting more kind of those bright colors that they had in the original. And so I don't know. It will be like, I think really about balance.
Starting point is 00:22:15 And we just talked about that with naked gun and. Like when you're extending like a beloved franchise, I think that it really is about balance. Like how much do you pay to the true fans who have been there, but also extending it out to new fans? So I have no idea could the premise and everything and because it is such a like niche bizarre type show and the characters and everything, they have to really execute. They do. And the reason I get hopeful again is because I like what. Travis Knight does. Whether it was Kubo, Bumblebee, I like what he does.
Starting point is 00:22:52 And I just didn't like, I feel like it was a studio note to put him on Earth. And if that's the case, I don't know, maybe not. I don't know, maybe the screenwriter started that would be the best direction to do it. Maybe that there people aren't as attached to the Masters
Starting point is 00:23:08 of Universe lore as I am. And like you said, maybe it's just not, you make a good movie, you make good movie, people aren't really going to give a shit if he's on earth or not. I don't know. I want to see how it's executed. I want to see how what you would think is that Amazon would want this to be an ongoing franchise. So you're hoping that it would crush and that they stay on attorney moving forward. And they establish kind of what Adam and He-Man kind of do there.
Starting point is 00:23:36 And if they set it up the right way, they got to have the music. I really hope they take like an Alan Silvestri version of the He-Man theme. And the da-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na. and I really hope that they use that in some way because you can, there's some stuff that works in that original score. Like, I remember having the DVDs when I was doing, when Riley and I were doing research on some of the,
Starting point is 00:23:56 the storylines and it's like a strato scene or whatever it was, but there was the opening of the DVD was this kind of, just like this score. It was beautiful in the throne room. And I hope that they take some of the original score and use that. I think it'll be a nice Easter egg for a lot of the hardcore fans, and there'll be some music for other fans to, appreciate.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Yeah. Another IP that's coming out this weekend, Minecraft. Well, the reviews are in. And I'm so curious because I put my review out yesterday. And I want to see what people are going to say about this. I am very, very curious. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:37 We're in the midst of something of a video game adaptation renaissance with HBO's The Last of Us and Amazon's fallout, both launching to strong acclaim and great ratings, Wilde's Sonic, the Hedgehog films have gotten more critical praise with each entry. That said, it hasn't all been wine and roses. Borderlands was a disaster. Five Knights of Freddy's made major coin, but the film wasn't well received. It wasn't well received by who? By who? Critics?
Starting point is 00:25:02 Fans dug the film for what I thought. Maybe I'm wrong. But my daughter dug it. Made major coin, but the film wasn't well received. Monster Hunter and a new Resident Evil were duds on arrival, while uncharted, Mortal Kombat, and the Super Mario Brothers movie scored mixed reviews, but earned well.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Morrow becoming a box office juggernaut. Now comes a Minecraft movie is a film based on the biggest game in the world for much of the past decade, and the consensus is another mixed review, with 43 reviews counted, the film's at 56%. That's about fair, on Rotten Tomatoes, which is on par with 2021's Mortal Kombat reboot of 55
Starting point is 00:25:36 and Tomb Raiders 52. Sampling a review, Hess's take on Minecraft is essentially a meathead, version of the Wizard of Oz, rag tag Idaho acquaintance splendor into the overall and Jack Black's Wizard Beard for helping return home. Yes, Toto's there. Cuba's talk to it from Amy Nicholson. Let's see, who else? Liz Shannon Miller, former Shmonaut competitor. It's the fairest of praise to say that the best video game movie Jack Black
Starting point is 00:26:01 has made in the last year. However, the Jared has directed a venture is a relatively accessible, often enjoyable, enjoyable adaptation. Anybody else we know there that we want to give a shout out to? No. It's fine. I will do one more. Those behind a Minecraft movie saw the infinite possibilities laid out before them and opted for the one that's been made a thousand times before. That's from Jacob Aller. And I happen to agree with Jacob on that one.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Did you see it, Steph? No, not yet. It took Macy to see it, which was we had a, in the middle of it. I said, Macy had, what do you think? She was in the middle of it, which was hilarious. By the way, right before the show, I watched the video you sent me up for her. That was the question. She was doing like a full on improv coach monologue.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Yeah, she was like the, she did the, the just do it. I played the audio here. Yeah, it was, it was crazy. I didn't, I didn't, I, literally crazy. I told her to say none of that. That was all her. It was like, it was like, it actually made sense. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Be the ball, do the ball. You got to be. You got to be a nice person. Yes. And she was doing that. It's hilarious. But we went to the city. We had a nice trip, the two of us.
Starting point is 00:27:17 And she never really played Minecraft, right? And so she was just there to see it. She got the sword. She was excited. She was like, maybe I'll like it. And then she just, she liked Jack Black, which was great. Yeah. But this movie, they really aim in towards kids on this one.
Starting point is 00:27:33 And the kids have to dig it because this doesn't hit for the adults. It just, there were some things to me that I was like, It was pretty generic for the most part. It was pretty damn generic. And Jack Black is good. I love Jason Mamoa. This is not the role that I liked him in at all. He was really annoyed by the role he was in.
Starting point is 00:27:54 And then- Do you like Jason Mamoa and comedic roles? I do. I think he's great on Saturday Night Live. I think he's great. Yeah. I do. I just didn't think,
Starting point is 00:28:02 I didn't buy him in this role. Okay. And then I always forget the, is it Daniel? Shoot. The girl from Peacemaker, who I love, she was underused. The girl from Wednesday was underused. Yep, the girl from Wednesday was underused. But we'll see how it does.
Starting point is 00:28:23 We'll see how it does in general. But the 53, 451%, that's fair. Oh, gosh. Okay. We'll see. Daniel Brooks. Thank you. So, yeah, but I just don't think it's going to hit because it needs.
Starting point is 00:28:37 I don't know. We'll see how it stands past next week. I'm very curious. I'm going to see three movies I'm going to see Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, three out of the theater reactions. It's the what the hell of the name of the movies. There's three movies that are coming out stuff that I'm going to see three of them next week. They're all the major releases, I think, that are coming out.
Starting point is 00:28:57 But there's a smaller one too, but I know that movie Warfare, which I really want to see. Okay. Three movies I'm going to see next week are the amateur, which is supposed to be pretty good. The drop, just drop is the other one, and warfare. Those are the three movies I'm seeing. I'm going Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. So for people who said, and I've seen this in the comments, hey, he doesn't review enough outside of just the big huge blockbuster.
Starting point is 00:29:20 So I'm going to do the out of the theaters for these. Your ass better click on them. Yeah. And so I'm just telling you. I'm going to see them. Like, if you guys tell me that you want me to do more of these and let's do it. But as far as, I think we covered, we covered all the he and stuff right there. There's nothing else we need to talk about.
Starting point is 00:29:40 about with with he man we talked about Minecraft and the reviews i don't know do you have any interest in seeing this in general stuff yeah i do i'm definitely going to see this i feel like i could end up really liking this because it's like a mixture of weird fantasy sci-fi vibes but i um i'm cautious i'm so i saw this hysterical comment was like i heard uh jared letto went uh he wanted to get into character for are you talking a he man yeah for he man so you put acid on his face that's you can see i was talking about i was talking about minecraft though do you have any interest in oh oh minecraft yes i'm gonna see it probably wait just like i did super mario bros i was hoping it had a similar release in terms of like making a lot of money because i i didn't think the movie was incredible or anything but i'm just always happy when a movie
Starting point is 00:30:33 makes a ton of money so i like mario i like yeah oh so you like this slots okay i thought i was going to let's okay yeah i'll see i'll definitely see it when it comes to streaming or even to home movie release i would buy it i just don't i don't think i'll go to the theater um okay so the next one is this one so the the other day out of nowhere the star wars tales of the underworld trailer dropped and i wanted to bring it up we dropped the other day but i wanted to talk about it with step because this is this is formerly kind of sith council we figure why not let's let's let's let's Let's talk about some Star Wars stuff. I will tell you this.
Starting point is 00:31:12 And all I can say is I can't say anything except Steph. I've watched the first two episodes of Andor. Oh my gosh. All I can say. Oh my gosh. All I can say. I can say I watched the first two episodes. Wait, I listen to the best podcast with Tony Gilroy.
Starting point is 00:31:30 When? It was on script notes. Okay. Have you have you listened to this podcast? Mm-mm. it's awesome and it's by um craig mazan who does last of us yeah yeah and um another great writer it's slipping my name because i just found out about this podcast and it's so awesome and they had tony dillroy on and you could just tell how comfortable tony felt sorry i hijacked what you were saying
Starting point is 00:31:56 how comfortable tony felt like amongst writers because he's just like such a writer's guy and they were just like giving each other's props and there was an interesting moment with mazzin and him because he, uh, Mazins in second season of Last of Us. And so Tony Gilroy was basically catching people up with season one. And it was really fascinating hearing how they planned so extensively for season one and two that he hasn't had a day off of writing for five years. So so much so that his entire goal is that on the shooting day, the directors just have the chance and the actors to just spread their wings and fly.
Starting point is 00:32:37 And so the season one, there was only one re-shoot, and it was the first scene in the first episode. So the first thing they ever shop, because he felt like they weren't comfortable enough. And they only scrapped one scene that they filmed. So it was just like really cool listening to me, listening to like what we hope for Star Wars is someone like that at the helm. And then what had happened was, because you and I always go back and forth about what they announced. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:07 at Star Wars celebration and they were basically like so there's going to be season three and Tony's like no no we're done we're done we're so done um we during the first season because of the delays with the pandemic and everything they were like he had this moment which it was also felt good as a creator that he was like oh my god like regret he didn't think it was going to be good and he was and him and Diego were really stressed even through filming until they saw the first cut. And then they both kind of like, for both of their stakes,
Starting point is 00:33:41 we're like, I think that we should do this in season two. And then they really took that blocking approach. So every three episodes is a year. Okay. Okay. And they shot them like movies. So every three episodes is a movie, essentially is what you're watching.
Starting point is 00:34:00 It's playing like that so far. Like I said, I've watched two and I only didn't, I have the whole season. I'm going to watch the whole season. season and I'm hopefully going to be done with it within the next couple of days. But my goal is what I'm going to do. I'm going to do my immediate reactions after each three episode block is what I'm going
Starting point is 00:34:16 to do. Yeah. Because it definitely plays like a movie. I literally can't give any thoughts about it yet. So I will discuss for sure. But back to the trailer for this animated series. The first trailer has been released for the Lucas Film Anthology series, Star Wars, Tales of the Underworld, which premieres next month.
Starting point is 00:34:36 This marks the third season of tales following 2022's Tales of the Jedi, which focused on the stories involving Assocatao and Kavduku and the 2024's Star Wars Tales of the Emperor, which focused on Morgan Elspeth and Barris Offey. The outing will again deal with two characters, both of them who were introduced
Starting point is 00:34:52 during the Star Wars Clone Wars. One of them is a Saj Ventress, who serves as the personal assassin of Duku. On the other hand, his cabine, the blue-skinned and red-eyed mercenary. In the run, former assassin, bounty hunter, Assange Ventress, is given a new chance at life. I must go on to, on the run with an unexpected new ally. Well, outlaw Cadbane faces his, I don't know why I said that like Jeff Goldblum.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Well, Al-A-Qadbane faces his pass when he confronts an old friend now a Marshall on the opposite side of the law. The voice cast is a bunch of people. Steph, thoughts on what you saw? The trailer looks really cool. But it's like at the back of your mind, you're just thinking about what they did to his character and Assange Ventris's character. So it actually like tonally if I did what like went like erased my mind of kind of what we last saw of their characters. I'm like this is I really like this trailer. I'm curious though where they are in the writer's room when they're talking about these characters.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Yeah, people are not going to like my answer for this. I'm so bored with this. I'm so bored with the time period. I'm so bored with the Flonny characters again and again and again. It is a good trailer. It's a real good trailer. I still don't have any explanation as to why Asaj Ventris is still alive. I know the answer.
Starting point is 00:36:23 The answer is, Flonny doesn't care about the books. That's the answer. And so he does, if nobody read the book in his mind, if it was a couple of people who are bitching about the fact that it doesn't matter because nobody else is going to care um but the trailer i'm like okay we're just playing in phloney's universe again let's just like you just mentioned with and or in the way that they really dive into like deep character studies it's like same characters of sage again great same characters cabine again great let's do something else outside of it
Starting point is 00:36:53 let's do tales the what the second the second one was what tells the bounty hunter um no what tales of the sith tell it was tales of the sith it wasn't it, Tales of the Jedi, then Tales of the Sith? Was it? I don't think it was Tales of it. I don't even know. I don't even know. Tales the Empire. That's what it was. Tales the Empire. Let's go Tales of the Sith.
Starting point is 00:37:15 And let's go all the back. Tales of the Empire, I think you're right. You have an opportunity in animation to explore different time periods. In the way that, like, visions did. Visions explored way better and told new stories, even though they're not canon, than anything that they've been doing in the animation recently. It's always the same thing. It's like clone wars, related to the Clone War series, related to the Dave Filoni thing.
Starting point is 00:37:37 It's like, let's get some new stories inside of animation. Why are we telling the same stories with the same characters? We've seen a million times. Assange. You're not going to tell her why she died or two. Assange, Cadban. I love both those characters. Seen it a million times over.
Starting point is 00:37:55 Get out of that time period, Dave. You can do other things. You don't have to just go to the characters that you like because that's your world. We get it. We get what you did. You did great stuff. Clone Wars was amazing. Rebels was great.
Starting point is 00:38:08 Move on. Let's get some new stuff in animation. Create new characters inside of animation. Because if they hit inside of animation, then they can hit in live action. Yeah. Yeah. It reminds me of like what if where I stopped watching after last season,
Starting point is 00:38:24 I think not because it's bad because it's not. I actually enjoy every episode once I'm seated. But it is hard for me to get to that. place where I'm like super curious because I already know. But yeah. And it's just, it's different. And when we're talking about Andor,
Starting point is 00:38:41 it's like, yeah, we know the outcome, but he introduced like 13 new characters, even though we knew one of the characters. And so yeah, it is like, the trailer looks great, like I said,
Starting point is 00:38:55 but I am not like running to see it because we know what happens. And not only that we've seen multiple. renditions of their characters. Just the Clone Wars again. It's like another version of what happens like after the Clone Wars. And someone said like, oh, he's only saying it's because he doesn't like Filoni's characters. You didn't listen to a word I said. I really like these characters a lot. Love the Saj Ventra thought she had a perfect ending in that book by Christy Golden,
Starting point is 00:39:18 a perfect ending. They should have adapted that book is what they should have done. If you're going to do stuff with her and what's his face, Quinlan Boss, great love story. But, you know, because it's not, you didn't do it. So you can't so it doesn't count. It's just not it's not right to the to the writers also. And I like the characters a lot.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Love Cad Bain. Love Cad Bain. I hope he comes back in live action. But it's just as far as animation, you have a platform to tell new stories and you're just telling the same shit again and again and again. So because like Ed Harold said this to me, he's like,
Starting point is 00:39:54 it's a great trailer. But it's just the same crap. He's going to do the polonies just going to keep playing in the same sandbox forever long he's playing it for. So, uh, sorry, but that's,
Starting point is 00:40:04 that's just the way that I thought about it. I was like, it was, it was fine. Uh, I like that they did a surprise out of nowhere, though. That was interesting.
Starting point is 00:40:10 But to me, like, I'm excited to see what people are going to be thinking about, uh, for Andor, uh, currently 25, not bad,
Starting point is 00:40:19 not bad. Okay. Um, you know, did you hear, have you been keeping up with the, uh, cinema con news at all?
Starting point is 00:40:27 A little bit. Okay. You know, they had um the michael the michael jackson biopic was supposed to be they i think last in macaan they showed some stuff but because of the controversy of what was what it was what a cover the last half an hour that there's kind of like a potential lawsuit and all this didn't show anything um so there's some news now apparently the michael biopic could be split into two i'll tell you what this guy i i literally thought that that was michael jackson at first um really really good
Starting point is 00:40:59 So, filmmaker, Antoine, Fouquas, Michael Jackson's biopic, Michael could be split into two. Deadline is reporting that the film is clocking in in nearly four hours with the two-part film option on the table, but not a definite at this time. The film was notably absent from Lionsgate CinemaCon presentation yesterday. The title was mentioned, but no material was shown. At the time, it wasn't clear why it was speculation led to the current legal issues his estate is dealing with. though still e-marked for October 3rd, many are still indicating the film is now pretty certain to be pushed to 2026. The trade suggests a key factor will be the availability of the IMAX screens.
Starting point is 00:41:36 They also say there are tons of, there are a lot of sign-offs here with universal handling and overseas in Japan sold separately. Okay. So, Steph, you know, the thing is I applaud Antoine Fukuwa for including everything. There's a lot of times when you make these biopics. the stuff, if depending on who's handling it, they don't always include the nitty gritty stuff, you know. And it looked like he was,
Starting point is 00:42:06 but you're going to get a lot of pushback from the estate and you're going to get a lot of push back from a lot of the fan base if you cover some of this, some of the controversies, you know. So what do you think? You think they're going to remove this altogether? Are they going to shoot a new ending? Are they going to do two parts? Because these movies could make a lot of,
Starting point is 00:42:25 money if they did too. Yeah, I don't know. I'm kind of at a loss for words in general when it comes to Michael Jackson. I have no idea what to really think of anything or believe of anything. And I feel like regardless, there's weird stuff for sure. And that's just like fact, just optical facts. I'm not saying like what the actually happened. But it is like, I don't know. Biopold. are so hit or miss for me. I liked a complete unknown, but it was, um, oh, wow. It's, did you like a complete unknown? It was my number two or number three. Yeah, I love. I really liked it. I'm saying like, like, I think they did a really good job, but there's other ones where I'm just like, okay, that was cool. Like, I didn't, it didn't really do anything different for me.
Starting point is 00:43:18 And for Michael Jackson, it's like, yeah, there's a part of me that wishes they just focused on the fact that he was like the greatest pop star of all time and what he did was in absolutely insanity in terms of artistic genius but then a part of me is like it's a biopic and that's um this is how all people might be introduced to him how he might be remembered by some people so it's a huge weight and i don't know what they should do with it and i don't feel like i'm the right person to ask that i don't know i don't know it's it's true because i feel like his movie will make a lot of money. And it's going to be, it's going to be shrouded in
Starting point is 00:43:57 controversy either way, whether you cut it out or put it in there. Two parts, if you, I mean, look what they're doing with the Beatles movies. They're putting four Beatles movies in the same month. So I don't know. I think it's going to be interesting and something to watch. I do have to say, I want to highlight this comment because this is one of my favorite things. This is my favorite. Especially this Christian Tommy me, like anything.
Starting point is 00:44:17 You special ed, you have to go to the meetings. This is what I tell everybody. You have to go to the meetings because you guys are not on the same page. The meetings are, there are some meetings that people are saying that I'm a shill and I love everything. And no matter what I see, I think it's the best. And then there's people like you who say, I don't like anything. You can't comment until you get on the same page with everybody to see where the latest meeting is because you're off, you're off base. Because apparently I love everything and or I hate everything.
Starting point is 00:44:44 That's the stupidest fucking thing. I see it all the time. And it's either somebody who says, oh, you love everything. And then you get this guy. He hates everything. It's like, come on, go to the meetings. They'll tell you. They'll tell you which, where you're supposed to be saying.
Starting point is 00:44:58 It's so silly. I love it. Yeah. Stupid. Anyway, what else is, is there anything really else to go on? I think we covered a lot of stuff today, stuff. Yeah, we did. Covered a lot.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Oh, my gosh, it's already been an hour. That's crazy. I think so. Well, we've got 44 minutes, but still. But let's see. I think, yeah, that's, oh, yeah, there's a little more. There's a little more, actually. I guess they did.
Starting point is 00:45:22 They teased Jurassic, Wicked 2 and More at Universal. Universal News is starting to come out now. So I don't know what the, let's see what the buzz is for. Let's try to do that. And then there's a new trailer for the accountant, part two, which I definitely want to say.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Let me see, hold on. Let me get to this. And let me go and bring that up. Okay, here it is. This is from Universal's thing today. Universal T's is Jurassic 7, Wicked 2. and more. Is Wicked 2 your most anticipated or is Avatar? Oh my gosh, it's such a close call.
Starting point is 00:45:58 You can only go into one theater. Which one are you going into? I am so sorry, James Cameron. It's because of spider. So it's because of spider. I'm so afraid of spider. Wow. Okay. Wow. Steph broke my heart. Universal pictures had its big big day at CinemaCon kicking off of the full screening of the live action. Oh yeah, I've heard about this. People are raving about this, how to train your dragon remake. Very positive responses. In addition, the studio confirmed a sequel to that remake is in the works. Wow. Okay. And it's targeting a June 11,
Starting point is 00:46:34 2027, even releasing a brief logo. Wow, look at that. Though discussed, nothing from Steven Spielberg or Christopher Nolan's 2026 films were revealed onto the rest of the presentation. Jurassic World is the first one here. Hold on. Jurassic World. There was a new trailer. It was shown with a heavy emphasis on the scene from the original Crichton novel as the team attempts to drift through a lagoon in a raft with the T-Rex around them. Scarlett Johansson was on hand to express her excitement about being involved and how the new film aims to bring scares back to the franchise. She confirms chase scene set on the ocean and was repelling down a waterfall for one key sequence. Then Wicked for Good. Arianna Grande, Cynthia Revo, director John M. Chu, and producer
Starting point is 00:47:17 Mark Platt showed up to show off a new trailer for Wicked for Good. Oh, did the trailer come out yet trailer dropped today i don't know that would be another reaction in a second here too we got to react that one with new versions of no good deed and for good heard during a clip footage shows alphabas starting a revolution glinda's wedding wizard and alphabas confronting each other flora assisting alfabba and piero excuse me and glimpses of dorothy on the yellow brick road the bad guys too footage screen the bad guys are trying to live as good guys of sam rockwell's Wolf now working on the bank, he's to rob. That's when the bad girls show up and a plan heist involving a space shuttle.
Starting point is 00:47:56 Mr. Wolf agrees to work with them, but secretly aims to sabotage them and turn them in. Then comes scenes, including a helicopter trying to stop a rocket ship and Mr. Shark, played by Craig Robinson, doing a bad Italian impersonation. Nobody, too. The sequel sees Hutch, played by Bob Odenkirk and his family going on the road and on vacation, complete with his father, Christopher Lloyd in tow that's followed by scenes with Odin Kirk's character being a carnival employee, a speedboat battle, and a glimpses of Sharon Stone as the head of a drug ring who has a cop under her thumb, played by Colin Hanks. Megan, we just saw that trailer, obviously, the Black Phone 2.
Starting point is 00:48:31 Footage screen of the follow-ups in Supernatural Kidnap Thriller, Mason Thames returns. His character, Finney, having survived his teenage years and now visiting a summer camp in the middle of winter, Ethan Hawks, Graber returns as a now undead serial killer, and is seen on ice gates in one scene as he helps, seems to be targeting. Finney's sister. Okay. Him is the new Jordan Peel produced horror film. It is a September 19th release date. The story is set in the world of college football
Starting point is 00:48:59 and follows a young player, played by Tyreek Withers, mentored by a legendary quarterback, played by Marlon Waynes. The former finds himself drawn into a sinister role of occultus and asks what he will sacrifice for fame. Justin Tipping will direct the film, which opens on November 19th.
Starting point is 00:49:15 The finition, what is that one? Oh, that's Wes Anderson. I know. All right. Down, I mean, I think that's,
Starting point is 00:49:25 that's the him poster there. Okay. All right. So, I mean, looks like there's a lot going on with universal. But what, what stands out to you out of the things I just read?
Starting point is 00:49:37 I like, I didn't know that the Wicked trailer was dropping. I'm not going to watch it because I haven't seen the play. And so I have no idea what is going to happen at all. So I don't even want to. I don't want to know anything. So I'm just glad it's being well received. I'm not shocked in the slightest because they filmed it back to back.
Starting point is 00:49:57 So it should probably have the same amount of superiority that I did in the first one. I like I'm excited for to see what the new Jurassic looks like actually. I like. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think that cast is a fun choice. I think that bringing back some people and then introducing Jonathan Bailey.
Starting point is 00:50:18 and Scarlett Johansson in it is a fun duo. So that's kind of shocking to me because I was so out of the Jurassic Park, but now I feel like, okay, what's this? Yeah. I'm excited to see what they do. I'm excited to see what they do with, and I hope that they actually do what they say there with the scares. I'm getting a little more solid,
Starting point is 00:50:41 but I feel like they're going to do the hybrid monster thing again from the trailer alone. It looks like that's what they're going to do. I have to stay away from that. But you know, somebody made an interesting. interesting point that they think it could be a prequel to the original Jurassic Park which that would be interesting
Starting point is 00:50:58 could be interesting but not not Jurassic Park the original Jurassic World the prequel to Jurassic World Oh okay I was necessary It wouldn't make sense of dresswork But we'll see I like it seems like they had a lot to do though Universal and Black phone I really enjoyed the first one
Starting point is 00:51:16 I don't know I got to see the trailer because I don't think the write-up of it did it justice because it sounds a little like, what's he supernatural now? Ethan Hawke, I don't know. Right. Did you like the first one? I haven't seen it yet. I heard I would like it,
Starting point is 00:51:30 but I hear it's genuinely scary because it's- It's creepy, but it's creepy, but it's a good movie. Yeah, I did hear it's great. Yeah, you're like me where if it's just like slasher, horror shit, I'll tell you what I just reacted to. I had never, I think I had seen like scenes, whether it was in, when I first moved to LA or whatever it was, I'd seen scenes of final destination, but I never really seen the full movie, the first one, right? And so I just reacted to the first one with my friend Tina and the second, second one I definitely never saw because we just watched that and I had no clue what the hell was going on. So we're going to react to that entire series. But Black Phone is something you definitely should check out for sure. Okay. Yeah. I feel like that's it. I think we're going to get to your questions in the second, guys. Before we do, I'm going to give, I'm going to give another shot, Steph, trade coffee.
Starting point is 00:52:24 I got to tell people about trade. I'm trying. This is a spot for them just to keep them on board. And hopefully people, because they told us, we're out. People aren't buying it. We're done. I said, well, hold on a second. Let me see if I can get them to get some because you guys are that good.
Starting point is 00:52:39 And I want to keep you around. But I'll tell you about trade. I have been in absolute heaven with trade coffee being back. I have their new mug that they gave me. I've got a whole big bag of coffee that I'm in whole beans. Oh, I love trade coffee. It really is just legendary. So if you don't have it, you should.

Starting point is 00:54:48 Okay. I mean, if there's anybody that can do it, it's you. So let's see. And what's this? Kyle Wilson, do you all have any juicy CFs? The hell is that? Do you know what that means? No, CF?
Starting point is 00:55:01 I don't. Juicy CFs. I don't know what that is, Kyle. I'm sorry. I know what that is. Kyle says, Steph, ask Christian to show you the April Fool's clip. What is it? What's the April Fool's clip?
Starting point is 00:55:12 I me to show you the April Fool's clip oh my of my I can tell you about it I can I don't have a I don't have a full oh rocks told me of what Sadie did she told you about how Vivi broke her wrist God you too is like that's like the most
Starting point is 00:55:35 every couple has the most inside humor that's dark I got you son of a bitch uh jerome hazelwood became a youtube member good time to be a member we just put a whole someone just said um they asked me a question somebody just became a patron and they said well hey i'm looking for all the reactions to the ones that you did in the mc u i'm putting them up i'm putting them up now they're not all there now because they started out it took it i finally found a system of how
Starting point is 00:56:02 i can do it you're just going to get bombarded with them eventually too so don't worry there's more coming uh kenneth colton ticket secure the accountant two on april 15th and sinners on the 17th two movies I'm really looking forward to also kind of the spring movie season is here don't forget thunderbolts tickets on sale monday kids we're eating good there's a lot of stuff going on right now at thunderbolts it's funny because um we're watching falcon and winter soldier myself and sam right now and like the lead in to this uh to thunderbolts is partly because of that you got you got john walker in there you get i think the first appearance no no no is it the first appearance from julie louis drifis or said at the end of Black Widow. I'm not sure. Anyway,
Starting point is 00:56:45 so there's a lot kind of leading up to that. So Sam is getting a chance to check it out. Yeah, I'm so curious what they do with her character. Tonally, it's like she always feels Oh, it's true. Put in, yeah. True. I haven't responded to her yet. Simon's section. How about the naked gun trailer? The best. I loved it. Mishy. Also, the thumbnail reminds me of the sequel,
Starting point is 00:57:10 minus the bullets yeah i was i think that was kind of done with the luke's been making some great thumbnails for the for the show lately and um yeah yeah it's um are you talking about the thumbnail for for the thumbnail for the thumbnail for the thumbnail for the look's been making were pretty good but yeah i'm i'm glad that you enjoyed it also made it really good loved it and yeah i watched those movies with my dad too so i totally understand um unheard sirens incorporated what's up remi holy crap the naked gun trailer i'm so excited for that movie in the oj joke they went there phenomenal i loved that they went there i love that was really funny yeah it was hilarious you have to how do you if you're gonna make a a reboot you got it yeah you have to uh or a sequel anyway hey uh luke
Starting point is 00:57:56 let me know if there's any questions that i missed by any chance for have you seen an accountant too yet not yet no i'm going to say i have to i got to reach out uh about that one but it doesn't come out yet I didn't know if they were. I know some people have seen it. So it's pretty damn good. I'm so excited. That trailer, well,
Starting point is 00:58:13 I was just like, wow, that's it. I haven't even seen the first one. And I'm, I feel so invested. You haven't seen the first accountant? No,
Starting point is 00:58:21 Harry's like flipped out because it's one of his favorite movies ever. Awesome. I'm going to say, I'm going to watch. I think that that's one of the ones. You know, she, Sadie's seen it.
Starting point is 00:58:29 So I may have to watch it with Sam. I'd like to while. Or maybe, you know, maybe even Tina before the new one comes out. It's not a bad idea. All right, Armada. Director of New Naked Gun did Pop Star.
Starting point is 00:58:42 I'm so in, oh, I thought he does. I thought Sethlin Farland was directing. Is he just producing it? That makes sense. I liked Pop Star. I liked Pop Star a lot. It didn't do well in the theater, but I liked it a lot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Yeah. Gunner, hey Christian, why does a duck have all them feathers to cover up its butt quack? I like that. That's funny. I like that a lot. Yep. Okay, let's see. next one here and that is from Jonathan Schultz.
Starting point is 00:59:11 You've always said you've envisioned He-Man as Lord of the Rings cross with Star Wars. Do you believe based on what's coming out of CinemaCon, we're getting that? I can't tell. I don't know. From what that report said, the report just said that it looked like, you know, the 80s original animated, which was, you know, that kind of Lord of the Rings meets Star Wars, not to the extent and the seriousness of it, but I don't know. I got to see the, I got to see the trailer.
Starting point is 00:59:36 I got to see the trailer first. Um, okay, Bradley Pooper. How much does Mark Ellis cost? Reminds me of my bro. How much does he cost? What is that? Priceless. He's priceless.
Starting point is 00:59:49 He can't buy Mark Ellis. Can't buy him. No, Tyler Fletcher. Guys, there's a superizing screen of Thunderbolts today to get people raving about it to buy tickets on Monday. Tickets on sale Monday. Was there a screening of Thunderbolts? Is that true?
Starting point is 01:00:05 I haven't heard that. I haven't heard that either, but did Disney do a, is there a panel today? Because I don't think they did one yet, right? Mm-mm. They did. Is there, is there a panel tomorrow? I don't know. Maybe, maybe you're right.
Starting point is 01:00:23 Maybe there is a screening of it. I think it's going to be really good with Thunderbolts. I think it's really good, too. Yeah. Legend MM-600. Oh my God, girl, you look so hot. Love that style. you but you don't need to call me girl i appreciate it right yeah gregory doc naked gun junior
Starting point is 01:00:44 looks fire original was a perfect movie it really was and this new one looks hilarious i wish i was in everyone agrees with that yes i wish i was in l.a so we could all go see it as a crew i know is it when's your birthday again it's isn't it around oh no no yeah well uh bradley pooper my favorite movie of 25 is novocaine it's awesome i heard it was pretty good didn't do very but I heard it was really good. Did you see that one? I know. No, I really want to see it. I feel like it was one of those two that I didn't know until it was already in theaters. Yeah. And then, yeah. Apparently the stream yard did that stupid thing again. There are some missing super chats, but Luke's going to get them to some.
Starting point is 01:01:24 We'll read them off in a second. The panel for Disney is today, by the way. Okay. Mike Joyce, I'm excited for naked gun reboot as well. When was the last good parody movie? Scary movie? They're doing another scary movie also. aren't they? Do you have a favorite parody movie? A favorite parody movie would have to be airplane. That's my favorite. You've seen Air Force. Austin Powers. No, we've talked about this. I need to see it.
Starting point is 01:01:48 Oh, my God. I know it's one of the best calls. I think I must have seen it because my parents always watched the classics. I must have seen it as a child. But I don't, yeah, I don't, yeah. Do you get Harry out of his anti-New York yet? You got to get there. I know, I know.
Starting point is 01:02:06 I need you to react to that movie. with me. You will love that movie. He'll love it. Vivian watched it. About two years ago, she thought it was one of the funniest things she'd ever seen. She loved that. It holds up. It just holds up. Gregory Dobb, Christian's in the dark mode. Steph's in a light mode. Yeah, look at that. That's nice. I'm going full Sith. You're going, you're going on Midg's Day today. I like it.
Starting point is 01:02:29 I like it. I like it. 38 questions right now, Steph, you need about just yeah just you need 62 you need 62 to more to beat roxy can you do it girl girl battle in the last week of their show simon section let the record reflect that when roxy returned from the uk i expressed my frustration of a certain righteous gems episode minus the 69 and her response was balls i respect i request a remix Cock? No, balls.
Starting point is 01:03:07 Cock? No, bald. It's like. So, thank you, Simon. But it was good to catch up. Yeah. With righteous, no, no, we caught up last night. Thank God.
Starting point is 01:03:22 But I haven't seen Righteous Gemstone since I think season two. So I'm behind. I've never seen it. It's so fun. I just, yeah. Yeah, the 69 was, I saw a clip of it. It grossed me out, but it was funny. Did you see the clip of it?
Starting point is 01:03:42 It was pretty gross. Javis, naked gun looks amazing. I've been wanting a movie so bad to just go and have a good time, but Novocaine did a decent job, but this looks great. It just looks so much fun. Okay, let's see. Just emailed the super chats. Okay, let's see.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Let me get them. Hold on. trying to get him trying to get him wait a minute where the hell is it where did he go not seeing this well he probably said it's the other email address i think he did yes he did okay so from the bottom let's start and they're all from a lot from Kyle Wilson says hey kindness Christian how are you I'm well Kyle thank you Kyle Wilson also says sweetest Steph how are you Oh, I'm good. Thank you. Kyle Wilson says, I'm trying to get these in early in case I'm busy at work.
Starting point is 01:04:36 I have to change my plan since Mike bailed. I love the World Girls show last night, Steph. Yeah, eat. That was the last one, right? Yeah. Thank you for being a part of the show. Yeah. He also says, Big Balls is Arnie versus AI debating Skynet.
Starting point is 01:04:52 I think we're going to keep Big Balls against. Did you see Big Balls debating AI yet? Steph, you did, right? Yeah, I did. It was awesome. Yeah, we're going to hold off on that first. a little bit. CF equals confession, O'nan, thank you. Kyle's got a lot in there
Starting point is 01:05:04 today. I took a short term loan to make Winston eat the last dab on Sunday. Did you see? Would you all ever do a hot one show? For sure. Oh, okay. I guess so. Maybe it would. I love spicy food, so I would be curious to see how far I could take it.
Starting point is 01:05:20 Same. Christian, if your show went away, I would be forced to watch more Roka. Could be worse. Oh, hey. It's not correct. Even as a kid, I thought He-Man was lame, but Skeletor is hilarious. Skeletor does have jokes. Skeletor has a lot of jokes. I love it.
Starting point is 01:05:34 Look out, be spraying. I wonder if they're going to have him be joking with Jared Leto. Here is. 40 questions now, Steph. You're 40. All right. You to take it out. Steph has that hot bartender that spent the night look with that shirt.
Starting point is 01:05:51 Well, there you go. That's funny. Bobby Jackson. This is what I wanted to hear about Master's Universe. I always felt like the Earth stuff would be the first act an attorney for the rest. I hope that's the case. So actually, you know, Steph, we're actually at 44 because. Okay. So we're at 44.
Starting point is 01:06:09 I agree with you. Yeah, Bobby, I agree with you. I think that if it's just for a little bit, you're like, okay, they start on Earth. We're never going back there again. Then I'm on board. Okay, so 44 currently. And then Luke will give me the updated number when we get out of here. El Baba Yaga, Joyride was the last comedy. It would be a great reaction. Which one is Joyride? Oh, that's funny. It's with, how am I forgetting everyone's name?
Starting point is 01:06:36 Stephanie from Ashley Park, Stephanie Sue, Sabrina Woo, Sherey Cola. Yeah, that was funny. That was definitely funny. Let's see here. Simon's section. He-man, typical scenario. Christian sees a teaser, trailer, doesn't like it, sees the movie, loves it, bombs away, in which ends in a cliffhanger.
Starting point is 01:06:57 When someone says, The World, you have a twin. sister you know that probably set up shira very possible look i'm gonna like the teaser if i like travis night you gotta remember i was excited about this minus the earth stuff if they just show the earth stuff and they show kind of like okay i'm gonna i'm gonna be the second i see that teaser and i'm gonna see the earth stuff and then okay he's neo and they're gonna bring him out i look look you really are find yourself and then he goes and he goes and then we see what it really looks like that's the stuff i'm gonna be excited about get me out of earth i know i want to be i don't to be in earth for this movie at all. So we'll, uh, we'll see, we'll see nerds engage with the new
Starting point is 01:07:34 master's universe coming. Is there still a possibility of a rewatch of the 87 version on the channel? Steph, who you've ever seen it? Thank you. Um, there's definitely a possibility of seeing that. Now, no one on my crew has probably seen, well, you know what's not true. I can tell you that my wife has probably seen that movie because her dad was used to work with my dad, her Her dad was a professor of theater at USC for like 30 years. He, Dolf Lungerman was a student at his at one point. And so I think that, because of that, they were, I think Sadie went and she had seen the movie. But I don't know how much she remembers it.
Starting point is 01:08:15 And she liked the He Man animated. So I feel like Sam has never seen that. You know what? It's hilarious, though. Sam has never seen Lord of the Rings. Has no clue, knows nothing about them. Like, not a cat. So we're watching.
Starting point is 01:08:27 going to be right she is she does not want to watch that's that's hilarious she does not want to watch it she does not want to watch star wars at all um but she we were watching falcon and winter soldier and it's a reference to gandolph or something and she goes she goes who's gandolph and i go i'm so happy that you just said that i was like i love that you just said that i said we're going to be like we're going to be watching she'll know she's going to love lord of the rings she's going to love it but she said she didn't want to watch them yeah she doesn't i don't think she realizes i think she just thinks that you know it's just like completely like i don't think she realizes how emotionally attached she's going to be to the character oh she's gonna it's gonna be like if she likes marvel it's her life is going to be
Starting point is 01:09:11 changed i know i don't think she realized so i'm excited and people are so excited we're asking we're gonna watch a director's cut it's usually when i watch lord of the rings it's the only thing i watch but I'm not going to watch the extended cut with with Sam because it'll be a four-hour movie experience I don't know if I can get her in here for four yet the originals are three so probably not um Mike Joyce Steph get AMCA A list it's well worth it I everyone thinks I don't have it yeah I get I need to just get to the theater more you guys yeah that's true go pal I was a huge fan of the 80s key man and Kevin Smith series I'm interested in the new movie it can't be bad dolls, which I just saw again. It's a really bad movie. But go pal of views and you are usually
Starting point is 01:09:55 one who has seen everything and where we're going, oh, what's that? Go and check out that Cartoon Network, 2002 series. It's the best out of all of them. Hands down. It's the best. And this is coming from someone who watched the 80s one every day after school. I loved it so much. And I still do. But this is the best. Okay. Next one here. Currently at 49. Nathan Drake. Liam Neeson was good in million ways and Ted 2. Ted 2 is another one he was good. That's right.
Starting point is 01:10:25 I feel like Seth McFarlane knows what can make him funny. Can't wait for this movie. Nathan, I couldn't agree with you more. So true. Yeah, Ted 2 was really funny. Yeah, I forgot about that. And so you mean the fact that he's like, I bet you it's because of working on those movies,
Starting point is 01:10:43 he's like, what if we did a naked gun remake with Liam Neeson? like I bet you that's how it could be because he knew yeah yeah he knows what you can get out of him um Mike Joyce I've been really liking all the marketing for the Pew crew or I mean Thunderbolts I think it'll be the best MC movie the year what do you think I think it'll be the best quality movie of the year won't be the one that makes the most money but I think it'll be I agree with you it'll be the most uh the most quality yeah oh thunder oh really not fantastic four I think Fantastic 4 will make the most money.
Starting point is 01:11:19 I think Fantastic 4 will do, but I think Thunderbolts will be the better movie. Huh. I'm opposite, but I want both to be great. Okay. Go pal. If the Masters Universe News is from Amazon's presentation, does that mean there's nothing on bond? It looks like there's nothing on bond so far. I mean, they just started, they just did the right,
Starting point is 01:11:40 so I can't imagine they would have any news yet. Right. So that doesn't really surprise me. Okay, Steph, we have 54 so far. You're starting to, you're starting to move. You're kicking with 50 minutes left to go if we, if needed. I can't believe it. You might actually do it again.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Dingus McNally, Christian, I loved your reaction of Team America with Sadie. You should do Borat next if she hasn't seen it. She's seen Borat. She loves Borat. That's what's so funny is people like, because she didn't like Team America. Like, oh, does she have a sense of humor? My wife has a great sense of humor. And she loved, like she loved Borrette.
Starting point is 01:12:17 But she's seen that. Everybody, where it's great. She's seen it. So what she hasn't seen is stepbrothers, which we'll be watching. And I think I've seen it. If I've seen it,
Starting point is 01:12:30 I've seen it once and I don't remember it at all. So we're watching that. I just, I remember not loving it when I saw it. So I'm hoping. I hope it's like your second watch. Me too. Me too.
Starting point is 01:12:41 Special Ed sending a super sticker. Thank you, special ed. Nice. Yes. It's a big super sticker. Thank you special ed. Cinema fan 324, excited for Screamboat and Popeye the Slayer Man.
Starting point is 01:12:51 I don't know what that is. And it sounds like it's nothing that I would want to say. Yeah. That sounds like the Winnie the Pooh horror movie that I was like, what? I hate that they do this. Why are we doing that? I hate that they do those things.
Starting point is 01:13:05 I think it's so stupid. Kyle Wilson, I got him on. I got him. I got him. Kyle Wilson. Don't worry. Mears him.
Starting point is 01:13:12 She became a YouTube member. Finally. Mirjum. Glad to see you on. Mearsum. Please come. and join when we do the Q&As and we do the live streams come and join say hi you've been such an amazing supporter of the channel for so long come in and join those things anybody who's a member
Starting point is 01:13:27 make sure you take advantage of those live streams and the Q&As the Callie kid any thoughts on Bell Kilmer other than Tombstone I mean I mean other than tombstone doors freaking I mean not the Batman movies you see what deadline did no whoever it was it has to get it talking to. They posted some of the great roles. Val Kilmer's been in, especially Batman. They posted a picture of Michael Keaton standing next to the Batmobile. What are he doing?
Starting point is 01:14:00 What are you doing? So, yeah, I mean, so many different movies, so many different things that he's done. I mean, even Top Secret, you talk about comedy, so much spoofs. I mean, just some of this. So we talk, and I mean, the Top Gun movies, obviously. But if you talk about Val Kilmer and you go through,
Starting point is 01:14:17 some of his stuff that he did in general um you go to some of this let's say so val kilmer so i mean and my my friend andrew i just talked about who i went to that jake paul thing um uh he produced that val doc that was really great oh the saint i love the saint kiss kiss bang bang willow the doors i love kiss kiss kiss bang come on come on i mean so many great great movies top gun maverick I forgot he was in Jay and Silent Bob the reboot. Just a little thing. Let's see what else. Some of the stuff that they go down.
Starting point is 01:14:55 I don't want to tell people about, I mean, obviously Tombstone. And if you go to some of the, he was in Magruber. I forgot. He was really good in McGruber, actually. It's hilarious in McGruber. And he was in, he was the voice of Kit in the Knight Rider reboot. That's hilarious. I did not know that.
Starting point is 01:15:15 But this is, this is some of the latest. He was in deja vu with, he was kiss, kiss bang, which I loved. He was in entourage. He was in Wonderland. He was John Holmes in Wonderland, a rhinoceros penis. He was in, let's see, what else? So many different great things. He was the voice in the prince of Egypt, the island of Dr. Moreau.
Starting point is 01:15:36 Heat. I mentioned heat, for God's sakes. He's probably one of my favorites of his. Heat. So love heat. Let's see. Love heat. Yep.
Starting point is 01:15:46 Okay. Let's see, what is next? Okay. That's just from A. Rago. Did you see Josh Gads, Jurassic Park, April Fool's tweet about the prequel movie where he played Ned the scientists and working with Hammond's first great dinosaurs? Am I crazy? Would that be a great movie? It actually would be.
Starting point is 01:16:07 He'd be a perfect Ned. He'd be a perfect net. Yeah. I'd not see the April Fool's, but thank you for letting us know that. Yeah, that would be pretty great. Yeah, it would be perfect. Mirjam, cannot wait to watch Andor. Enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:16:20 Coming up soon, real soon. Roger. There's been a member for six months. Thank you, Roger. I'm looking forward to the naked gun, and I'm glad that it's not a reboot. Hope to see more comedies than the theater. I hope this starts a wave. I really do hope it starts a wave.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Unheard Sirens Incorporated. Remy, all right, you wore me down. I got some trade. Yes. Yes. Good. Big black coffee. Hell, yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:41 I promise you, you'll like it. That's not. Steph, how good is trade? It's really great. It is so, I mean, I, I told you, I don't, whether, do I want them back as a sponsor? Of course I do. I'm going to be a subscriber to them forever. I get them, it gets delivered to my house every month and I just, it's, it's the best.
Starting point is 01:17:03 Big huge bags of coffee. I love it. So you're, you're going to like it, Remy. I guarantee you, please. Yep. Next, whenever you get it, anybody who ordered any of the bags, please let me know. And I guarantee you, I've heard anybody say anything. except great things about trade uh go pal should i watch real genius or tombstone i'm i love real genius
Starting point is 01:17:22 but i'm always going to have you seen either one of those whoa step you got to see real genius because you're the comedy but tombstone's one of his greatest performances as uh doc holiday i'll be a hugged yeah so good yeah that's really good shan mccay what's up bud hey guys great to see i saw the new trailer of our neighborhood watch looks like a lot of fun uh jdm and jack quates seemed like a good duo i thought thoughts. Who's in that? Who's, what's, what's, what's neighborhood watch? I don't know what that is. Is it new? I guess so.
Starting point is 01:17:56 Oh, the trailer, okay. You just saw the trailer, so I'm not sure. Yeah, Steph, you let me know who's in that one and I'll, and I'll, and I'll see. Go pal, what's your favorite lesser known about killer movie? I mean, I guess real genius is if, if Steph doesn't even know what the hell it is, um, I would say real genius. Uh, dancing dog, sexy. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:18:14 Neighborhood watch Jack Quaid, Jeffrey, Dean Morgan. Malin Ackerman. Oh, I don't know what that is. I never heard of it. You're at 60, Steph. You're about 40 away to beating rocks. 40 away with 45 minutes to go. Dancing Dog 60, have all the holidays been used by horror franchises.
Starting point is 01:18:32 If not, and you were hired to create a horror holiday-based film, which would you do? I feel like they've all been done. Right? Father's Day, has that been done? Maybe not. Valentine's Day has... How are they not done a Mother's Day horror movie? Yeah, Mother's Day.
Starting point is 01:18:52 I would do Mother's Day. Has there been New Year's? Or there has to have been? Well, if you include the late great Gary Marshall's romantic comedy as a horror movie New Year's. But no, I don't think, I don't know. I don't know. Chris Graneer, do you still want to do a fundraiser stream for the fire victims in LA? So I'll set up the stream and produce Divinclair.
Starting point is 01:19:18 I actually went through a different route of I donated on my own doing a couple things where there are a couple different organizations and things of donations through I did on my own. So I didn't do one here, but I made sure that I, you know, a lot of family there. So I wanted to make sure it. So I went through different organizations. But thank you, Chris. I really appreciate that very much so. Dancing Dog 60.
Starting point is 01:19:42 If naked gun came back, how about airplane? You got to, I mean, the difference is. what they did with naked gun the difference with naked gun is that they didn't make it a remake they didn't make it or they made it a sequel so i don't know if i'd want to see another sequel yeah been two already and the second one was not good it's hard to do those movies those types of movies is where that cat come from he just jumped on he's like so the most obsessive cat ever does the cat get along with the dog no he's a bully the dog the dog's a bully or the cat's a bully No, no. The dog is the nicest, nicest creature you'd ever meet.
Starting point is 01:20:21 This cat is a big bully in compact size. Right. Just look at. Exactly. Exactly, Christian. Mike Joyce, James Cameron said that Avatar 3 will be emotional. They're all emotional. They're all emotional. I think that means someone dies. Someone always dies. If Nateri dies.
Starting point is 01:20:44 If Niteri dies. Uh-oh. I don't know if I can move on. Is she locked in all the movies? That's a good question. I don't know. It feels like this is my fear. I don't think you can do those movies without her.
Starting point is 01:21:00 But there's the whole point of these newer movies is he's saying it's about the kids. It's about the kids. And it's like, listen respectfully, Mr. Legend Cameron. I'm here for Natiri. Yeah. Natiri is everything to me in this franchise. I wonder what they're going to do I wonder what they're going to do how they're going to do it uh tray porter one of them days was good time in theaters i heard that was good
Starting point is 01:21:28 i heard it was so funny i heard it was good one of them days was so so funny i loved it i loved it was i texted roxy so i was like oh okay we need it's it's so funny you could be writing on a different planet and there was like some things that it reminded me of our script and i was like okay hey, I guess they were got a scrap. Like they were the first, even though we wrote the script two years ago. Wow. Okay. I mean, that's, and did you, when did you see it?
Starting point is 01:21:58 Did you see it in the theater? No, I bought it when I missed it, which was, I really was sad about. So that's why I didn't say it as my last time I was in theater laughing out loud, but I heard it was like that. Bitch boy. What's your favorite movie of the year? Mine's Black Bag. What have I seen thus far that I really like?
Starting point is 01:22:17 like this year trying to think um it doesn't have all that up i see you see blackback coming releases uh 20 25 let's see if I can go all the way the most I don't know which I don't remember what I see what did I see Mickey 17 no Minecraft no working man so far the working man so far is probably the thing I've enjoyed the most in the theater. What else did I see? No. Captain America. No. Yeah, that would probably be it.
Starting point is 01:22:59 I didn't see that yet. Yeah, I mean, it's been only haven't seen anything yet. I think mine is probably one of them days. I just, but there are some that I haven't seen that I need to see. So it's not really fair. Got it. Steph, you're at 71. You're approaching.
Starting point is 01:23:16 You're approaching. King, Mage, the Beast, the Beat Slayer. So over, I'm so over the Clone Wars animation style. So many better looking styles of animation. I keep using the same 3DS to save costs. Love y'all. Yeah, I mean, I do think, and that's the other thing is that they're just not in that place that they were where you're like, okay, I mean, it was Star Wars Celebration when they announced something like this. Yeah, just give it to me all.
Starting point is 01:23:38 Granted, they're short. But I just think you're wasting an opportunity. You're just wasting an opportunity to bring. new new things into the fray with this animation bitch boy is there footage your fifth wheel episode no thank god there's not to do i was on i was on both fifth wheel and this uh this other show on MTV was a dating show when i first moved to LA and I was on I was on it's I won but um but yeah it was uh there was one yeah I was definitely in the prime of my youth when I was on it because there was yeah I wouldn't even go into all of it but yeah
Starting point is 01:24:17 There's no footage of it. Thank God. I've looked. Go pal. Just looked it up. O2. Heman is on prime. I'll have to start it soon. Please let me know what you think. I want to know. Dancing Dog 60. How do you get today's teens, kids, early 20s in IPs that are popular before they were born? If they update them, they might lose old fans. It is true. That's the trick, right? That is the trick. And it's kind of, have you been watching the studio, by the way, stuff? Yeah. It's great. So fun.
Starting point is 01:24:47 good. That's kind of one of the things that's like how do you get because especially now, because it's not even just how do you get them interested in IPs. How do you get them into the movie theater? Like if it's not like wicked and other stuff, how do you get these kids? They're watching Instagram and TikTok and all this other stuff. How do you get them into
Starting point is 01:25:03 the theater? They're not, it's very different how they're entertained. So you got to really get them interested and make it like an event. Right. Yeah. Dancing dogs. What age, which age demographic it goes to movies most it's always been 18 to 22 is and i don't think that's changed stuff right
Starting point is 01:25:25 yeah um bitch boy step looks pretty but christian looks prettier ha ha stuff right happened happens when you go to the gym um i've been doing it doing it uh dancing dog 60 who is today's brando timothy leo the rock i don't know that it's hard to that that's hard to that's that's It's so hard to say like who is the next like Brando, you know, it's like, who is who's the guy right now like acting wise? Like if you're like I'm going to give it to Timothy Shalame. Yeah, it is. I think Shalame is.
Starting point is 01:26:01 I got so pissy at people who were giving him shit for saying what he said at the SAG Awards. That was so false. Baller. Baller. I thought that was it was one of those things like, are you. seeing a blue dress or white dress where I'm like if you're seeing blue I don't even know you like I for you to just think that that was weird and make fun of him and like I saw this like uh view knockoff show this woman said if my daughter said that I'd be so embarrassed I'll tell you that was she was the
Starting point is 01:26:35 worst that was like he was the worst if my if that was my son I'd be like I've never been proud of you son ever or she wasn't respectful he wasn't disrespectful he wasn't disrespectful I achieve, I, I, I achieve, I want to achieve greatness. I want to become one of the greats. Viola Davis just, um, was asked about it and she said she really enjoyed it. Yeah. Because he put it in her name in there too. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:01 Yeah. Uh, part one. I'm curious. Do you think we eventually see a teaser for Michael? Will they introduce the director of Michael's previous works for the director of the equalies, equalizer trilogy? Michael, well, he also did training day. So they'll probably do training day.
Starting point is 01:27:14 it would probably be for the for the directory to train uh harvest k folks who have not seen kilmer in the 80s comedy's top secret real genius need to need to get it to get to it that car Kilmer kills it in comedy he really was good in comedy he really was really solid he was like kind of like what when Ryan Reynolds was starting out it's similar
Starting point is 01:27:41 like the Van Wilder to this like he was so good in comedies he was amazing. A. Rago, thoughts on the Goonies movie that got greenlit. It's going to be about the kids. Now it's all about who you cast as those kids. That's it. You got to cast kids that we care about this time around. You got to have that same tone.
Starting point is 01:28:00 You got to have that tone. Make it feel like an 80s movie. Are you seeing the new Sinners movie? Hell yeah. Can't wait. It's one of my most anticipated. I just hope I'm wrong. Did you watch the trailer, the second trailer stuff?
Starting point is 01:28:12 No. Good. Don't. because I feel you told me not to. I feel like it gives away too much, but I hope I'm wrong. Mirza. I am in the Netherlands, so it's not always easy to watch all of it live for it is night here and watching you from my bed on the TV.
Starting point is 01:28:28 Well, I'm glad. Thank you. And again, I'm so happy that you became a member. We're excited to see you when we do these streams. So thank you again, Mirza. Brett Flynn. Separating of heat Valcomers, firefights in the street was so realistic with his reloads, founding was so accurate it's been used by police and military for training you did you what you
Starting point is 01:28:47 went up watching heat because i asked you to watch heat yeah i love heat isn't it it's so great it's such a great it's great i had coffee with mcculley half an hour ago you don't get to watch my tv ralph stout alpuccino kills it in that movie who What are you fucking owl? I'm in section. Part two, or the fact that Michael, he nor the director needs introduction, what would be cool if we hear a remix of the intro to the TV Equalizer, a smooth criminal?
Starting point is 01:29:28 Christian, do you remember the TV show? Of Equalizer? Not really. I remember there was one. I didn't watch it, though. I didn't watch it. But I'm very curious to see, Simon, what they do with the marketing of that film and how they're going to ultimately put it out there go pal are the zucker brother still around i don't believe so i mean at least they're not making movies step you're at 87 okay getting really close now yeah support from derrick oh there you go derrick's coming in hot derrick's coming in at the end here there you go uh chris
Starting point is 01:30:05 grainer thoughts on the rust trailer i didn't see the rush trailer did you step what is that's my favorite It's like this is one of the things that in my in the second half of my career doing this I did make a decision like I'm not it's not just big about big movies it's not just about that but it's a certain things I'm when I was with Mark when we were doing Shmos we saw everything five days a way if we went to a movie five days a week seeing every movie little release big really all that so we saw everything I and I can't do that anymore. So the rush trailers the Alec Baldwin movie. Oh no.
Starting point is 01:30:41 No, no, no. I don't know if I can. I don't know if I can even watch the trailer. Because that's the one step where the, where the woman got. Yeah. I don't think they should have made the move. I don't think they should release the movie.
Starting point is 01:30:53 I don't think so either. And also I saw the strangest interview. Did you see the Alec Baldwin, Hilaria Baldwin interview? Yeah, but that's like, they're promoting their show. Everybody was like, look how emasculated he is doing this. They were promoting the reality TV show. I don't think he looked emasculated.
Starting point is 01:31:14 I think it, I felt bad for him because I just, I felt like he did nothing wrong, but be supportive and he just got dragged. But I'm telling you, I think that was a whole bit. I think it was a bit. Really? I think so.
Starting point is 01:31:29 Because it's like, they're trying to promote a reality TV show. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. So I. There's some PR around that, but maybe I'm wrong.
Starting point is 01:31:37 I don't know. Uh, go pal. Did you see where Carrie Coon didn't come back for endgame because they wouldn't give her a raise. I think they'd lock down everyone for the six picks. I love Carrie Coon. I think she's great.
Starting point is 01:31:51 I don't necessarily know if she needed a raise from Infinity War to Endgame. They should have locked her down from the start of giving whatever the set pay is, but if they did that and then she won her, I have to be honest with you. I didn't know it was Carrie Coon until about three years after I saw the movie.
Starting point is 01:32:09 and I like Carrie Coon a lot. She wasn't a main player in the movie. She wasn't. And I can understand why producers is that she wanted a really huge... Her agents probably wanted to have a really huge rage. Huge raise. I don't think that it hurt the movie that she wasn't in the second one.
Starting point is 01:32:26 There's other times that there are certain actors, they're like, oh, why didn't you bring them back? You should have brought him back to them. It depends on how much she's out. I did not know this was Carrie Coon. And I'm a huge Carrie Coon fan. Why did they cover her? change her face.
Starting point is 01:32:41 Well, that's just, that's how they, that's how they did. That's how the role was. But you see what I'm saying? Like, they, they didn't need, they didn't need to. Right. She was only asking for it certainly, like, come on, we need her back, give her a little bump. But if she was asking for sniffing around, if the agents were doing what the agents were doing, and it's a ready movie. It was a pretty big budget.
Starting point is 01:33:00 Simon section, pop quiz, which actor appeared with Val before he once again in Batman forever. I guess it's the top secret cue the fireplace and his parachute. shoot r ap bell um give me the answer because i'm not i'm not gonna cat i'm not going to trap the the quiz right away i'm not going to do it uh derrick throwing support adam smart have you watched real rejects gregg's worry reaction i did i texted him right afterwards he he he couldn't he he he and i were going back and forth because like he was always contemplating see it and sam and i did it i like that we kind of you know you can inspire one each other to watch them too like when he he those guys did uh south park the south park movie and i was going to do south park but then i was
Starting point is 01:33:39 like oh you know wait and then i did team america based off the south parking that they they had done and then he had seen um you know warrior and he always wanted to do it and always wanted to see it and and he did and um he he was he was a mess he was more of a mess than sam was he was a mess um that movie that movie that movie yeah Derek coming in Derek might push you over here Seth you're at 94 okay 94 you're not too far away from from rocks Alan smithy ruthless people is also from the makers of naked gun but it's not a parody it's a good movie ruthus people alan great one hilarious movie with davido bet midler and judge reinholds yeah of course great movie really good movie i haven't seen a long time but it's a good one more from derrick got a new member
Starting point is 01:34:22 step leach oh nice what up remember make sure i tell every new member you have access to the capes and cow's comic book go and get it we're going to be once that is fully complete the whole series I'm getting everybody together. We're going to do our voices. Those moments with you and big balls are going to be hilarious. Yeah, I'm so excited. Oh, good. Derek, support.
Starting point is 01:34:48 Thank you, Derek. Derek coming back in. Derek's been off the grid for a little bit, but you know when he's back, and here he is. Yeah. I'm telling you, if Jared Leto Skeletor face is translucent and better look good, I hope Skeletor is the next Joker or next Morbius design. They have to make him look like he. did in the 80s thing you got it you have to he was jacked too skeletor was jacked he really was uh chris
Starting point is 01:35:16 greenier do you think the new terrorist will hit us in theaters and if so when and how bad i can't even pretend to know the answer to that question chris i don't know i'm not sure i think we're all kind of like in the who the hell knows camp on how that's going to play so i i really i can't pretend that i can guess do you know step what do you think uh I mean, yeah, I think a lot of people are going to be hurting financially. Go, pal. I saw Jordan and Steinfeld on hot ones versus. They're great together.
Starting point is 01:35:51 And I'm looking forward to sinners. Me too. Can't wait. Can't wait. Derek, throwing in some more support for staff. And we go with Mirjam. Support for staff. Everybody's looking to push you over the limit here.
Starting point is 01:36:04 Dancing Dog 60. Tony Manero on Saturday Night Fever was a jerk. Love that. I love that movie. But he comes around at the end, though. He comes around at the end. Yet that film was a hit. Good movie, too. Can a film these days have a jerk as a hero? What say you?
Starting point is 01:36:18 But you can't remember, yes. First of all, the reason why it worked besides him having, he was redeemed at the end of it. But he also, John Travolta, the kind of charisma John Travolta had in the late 70s is unmatched. So if you can find somebody that's likable that has that kind of charisma, you can make a jerk the lead. Yes, absolutely. But it's also, it was a smaller film. What do you think?
Starting point is 01:36:44 Have you ever seen that movie? I don't think so. Oh, my goodness. Another classic you got to watch. Yeah, I know. You know, that's my gap is that area. Yeah, yeah. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 01:36:56 The 70s, 80s, okay. Neers him and cannot wait for the last of us. Same. Support from Derek. Dancing Dog 60. Sackoff should have been Captain Marvel. facts. I mean, not for not for personal reasons, but I agree. I agree. She she would have been I would have been awesome when she used to be on the when we used to do shmows just come in.
Starting point is 01:37:20 We used to talk about it all the time and I don't even think she got an audition for it, which is so stupid. What? I don't think so. Kyle Wilson. Do you all remember your first movie in theaters? Mine was gone with the wind at five years old. Wow. Um, so obviously a re-release. Um, I first one ever I don't remember what the first one was I do remember and I remember my dad's story though more than I remember being there but my dad said the only the first movie I actually
Starting point is 01:37:46 stood that I sat still when was Empire Strikes Back okay that's such a good one to call to I've said this before mine was 6 cents which was a quick realization that my parents made a mistake hilarious some more support
Starting point is 01:38:02 from Derek coming in hot Johnny Bravo do you think it was a missed opportunity to not cast Cheng from Karate Kid 2010 in place of Lewis Tan's character in Cobur Kai. Nah, not really, because first of all, I thought Lewis Tan was awesome in Cobur Kai. And I think that they're establishing a way to do this in the movie itself that doesn't play into Cobur Kai at all. And they're kind of, so it's like a separate universe, but now it's coming together.
Starting point is 01:38:33 So no, I don't think it was a missed opportunity. Steph, did you watch Cobra Kai the last season? No, you're going to yell at me again. You always tell me any of it. Oh, my goodness. Jake Jakeveta. See, I'm not here just for Roxy. Steph gets all the love too.
Starting point is 01:38:47 Yeah, we'll see you when they're not on the show. How about that? As one of the two people who has a World Girl's tattoo, thanks for a great five years. Thank you. Are you sure one for five years? Yeah. That's pretty awesome.
Starting point is 01:38:59 Awesome. So your last show was, what, last? Last night. How did it go? Good? Really great. Yeah, it was awesome. I hadn't been able to talk to Roxy and like fully face to face in weeks. So it was also a catch up. I love that. Adam Smart. When Steph and Steph Sampino next reaction? Who's Stephs? I don't know. Kristen Seff and Simpino. She works on Sina Pals. I don't know. I've actually, I'm not done with the channel. I just work less there now because I'm really focused on building my own and filming my own content. Yeah. So. I don't know if we have one that they haven't released yet, but I know that from Dust Till Dawn was like one of my favorite reactions ever with her.
Starting point is 01:39:45 We had no, we had no idea what was happening. Oh, I love that. And we were, it was the craziest genre shift in the movie. You didn't watch the trailer. You didn't know anything going in.
Starting point is 01:39:57 No, we had no idea. I didn't know that there was any supernatural. Oh, okay. That's good. I got to watch that. Dancing Dog 60, bring back $5 movie night theaters. I agree. They should.
Starting point is 01:40:09 I absolutely. I think that they should do that. I think once a movie has been in the theater for a little while, you take it out of it and put it back a month later for like five bucks. Simon Section Christian, Steph, have you seen the founding of youth trailer for Apple? It stars Natalie Portman. It's the National Treasure 3 I wanted it to be. The answer is Michael Go, Alfred.
Starting point is 01:40:27 Ah, very nice, very nice. No, I have not seen that trailer, but I love Natalie Portman. I love what Apple does. Apple's great. Apple is killing it. And it has Issa Gonzalez and John Krasinski. That's a great cast. It is a great cast.
Starting point is 01:40:44 Okay, so let's see here. Stanley Tucci? Tuch. The Tuch. Dancing Dog 60. First time I saw in the theater was Sound of Music. Does everybody messing? All right now, you've still got poor people keeping us on the air right now.
Starting point is 01:40:59 Dancing Dog 60. Speaking of seeing Sound of music when I was a kid, the family dressed up to go to the movies, there was an intermission where mom and dad smoked. That makes sense. And then GoPal says, have you seen the from Dust Till Dawn series with Isa Gonzalez as Santonico? So did you, you did see the series?
Starting point is 01:41:19 No, I didn't. No, no. Yeah. I think there was one. Yeah, there is one. But all right, Steph, currently, 109, you've got it for the week. You did it.
Starting point is 01:41:30 You did exactly what we thought you would do. You came back, 109, but we still. potentially have 20 minutes to people want to keep us on if they don't yeah if they want to keep us on we can but if not we will be back here and we'll see if winston and coy um will be able to do this tomorrow because they're both no coy's actually not on tomorrow it's just Winston because coys in uh at a cinema con super crazy movie geek will the age of disclosure get a theater release um i don't know if it will i think that it'll probably that and for people who don't know age
Starting point is 01:42:00 Disclosure is the is the documentary that is coming out, Dan Farrow's movie that debuted at South by, I think that the purpose of it was trying to get picked up by a big streamer. And I think that it, anywhere was picked up. I'm not sure. But I know Apple, they picked up the Joseph Kaczynski movie, which will be big. And then obviously the Spielberg UFO movie. So 2026, 27 should be a big year for UFO movies. Dancing Dog 60.
Starting point is 01:42:32 Steff's always a winner. Team Steph and then Derek Johnson with the support. So, Steph right now, 112 going into Friday. I'm lying. 113. Sam had been brutty.
Starting point is 01:42:46 Sam has been bloody brilliant. Love her reaction. Says Adam Smart. Yeah, she's been great. Sam's the best. I really want to do a video with you and Sam. I think you guys would hit it off so well. I know.
Starting point is 01:42:55 I love her vibe. I love her vibe. And I love, because did she do any reactions before? No, she had no clue what she was doing. So that's why she's so great. Did you see her, her video with, uh, with big balls? No. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:43:18 I've only seen some of her reactions. Oh my God. I got to play you. I got to play you her, uh, for people who haven't seen it. She did a, um, yeah, she, she had, she had an interview with people. She had never heard of big balls. So let's see where it's. Okay, here it is.
Starting point is 01:43:34 I'm gonna, I'll play this for you because I think you'll dig it. Because you're a fan of, okay, I'm here with Sam. Hello, Sam. Hi, Christian. They can't see me. So I was gonna tell you I wanted to introduce you to somebody. Okay. Would you like to meet somebody?
Starting point is 01:43:47 I love meeting people. Okay, here you go, ready? What's up, motherfucker? I like you. She laughed. You want to look at me over here? Here, look at me. Look at me.
Starting point is 01:43:57 Come on. Come on. No, mama. This way. There you go. Look at the screen. Come on. Come on. You smarter than you look. Come on, get over here. Look, I'm a rude motherfucker. That's who I am. You want to ask me questions? You got some big ass balls. Oh, you, you, you've been more ways than one, mommy.
Starting point is 01:44:17 She noticed what? I get out. Sometimes I play dead. Look at me. Oh, I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dead. Now I'm up like a motherfucker. Look at that. Yeah. Yeah, I'll be rested on motherfuckers too. Do you know one time I fucked the cat? Yes, it's true. It's true. They're good.
Starting point is 01:44:36 It's some good pussy. You know, you slick motherfucker, you know. Come on me. I'm making it. I'm tearing it down. You tearing ass up? Oh, you got no idea. I fucked the rhino once.
Starting point is 01:44:51 Yeah, I got lost. A little wide. They were trying to charge me rent. I said, no way. Uh-uh. Not after what I did. The way I made you explode, you pay me rent. And then I had a giraffe.
Starting point is 01:45:04 And that was that. Look at me. Look at me. Oh, look at my Christian hollow shirt. That's right. Look at those balls. Not the crop populate the world. China ain't got nothing on me.
Starting point is 01:45:15 Nothing on me. I don't know. Nothing. Oh, my God. I've been nothing like crazy. Blow one load and I five on the moon. Call Elon Musk. Here I come, SpaceX.
Starting point is 01:45:27 Yeah, I'm crazy. Nice to meet you. Nice meeting you too. I'm out of this, motherfucker. Wait, I'll sing a song for you. Hold on. Oh shit. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:45:37 Okay. I play dead. I'm up. I play dead. I'm up. I get real crazy like. Oh, Samantha. She is dancing it.
Starting point is 01:45:53 It's lit. She sees Chris stems with abs and she says, hey, pause it. Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit. That is it. That's funny.
Starting point is 01:46:05 Yeah, so you have, you've got a couple, you got a couple more. You got a couple more here before. During that, during that video, we had some more people put in some more. So there you go. Go pal. I guess they want to keep us on the year. Robert Rodriguez had a channel called El Ray that had a, had a DA show called Matador that I liked. Hmm.
Starting point is 01:46:26 Interesting. He has such a fun career. It just does so many things. He does a lot of things. I thought he did like a wrestling thing. Is that what he's talking about? I think so. Steph is always a winner.
Starting point is 01:46:37 We got that team staff. Thank you. And this is nerds engaged. Andrea Arjona or Azea Gonzalez for Wonderwin. My pick is Ajora Ajoa. I like Isaiah Gonzalez a lot. But I think I think Aja Arjona is a massive, massive star. She's a, to me, they're both insanity.
Starting point is 01:46:58 and it is interesting because if you see them just one time, you might get them mixed up. But if you actually look at them, you're like, oh, my God, they're completely different styles, looks. I think it would come down to who looks best doing physicality
Starting point is 01:47:14 and action. Because to me, it could go either way, but I just want to see how they're shot and, you know, who looks the best kicking ass. I agree with you. The fan awakens.
Starting point is 01:47:28 Steph and Christian love the show going out of the U.S. for the first time for celebration. Japan. Have either of you been to any records? I've ever been to Japan? No, I've never been in Japan. Celebration, sure. But never, never Japan. But I, it's somewhere I would love to go. You know where but if I went to Japan, you already want to go, Steph. Have you been before? No, it's my number one, number one. I want to go to like the countryside in Japan. I want to see like the yeah, like Hotchino, northern Japan. Yeah, I want to see, I want to see like the, you know, nature aspect of Japan. That's where my family was from.
Starting point is 01:48:04 Okay. I don't want to see this. I don't need to see the city. You should go for a day. They say Tokyo's like the greatest, one of the greatest cities on Earth. I'm sure it is. But I'd want to go. You should go for a day.
Starting point is 01:48:15 Because also it's the version of a clean city that you've never known or could, you didn't think could exist. And they're like, hold the phone. If you throw trash on the floor, you're going to die. Oh, okay. All right, all right. And I also want to go and I want to try the food there. It's another thing I want to do. But I might have to wait.
Starting point is 01:48:32 Teleporting might become a thing in the next 20 years. I hope. So I'll just teleport. But Fan Awakens go on TikTok and go on Pinterest because I've been saving a bunch of people who will do their wrecks. And they do it in like a really easy format and they give full reviews. So I feel like that's a really good way to see where you want to eat, what you want to do. It's a good idea. Sean McCabe. Hi, Sam.
Starting point is 01:48:56 Loving Wanda Vision. Oh, so she, that was just a clip, Sean. It was just a clip. She wasn't here. She's not here, unfortunately. No, no, she won't. But I do have to get her on, again, on another live show. She was, she popped in during the live stream of, when we did that Marvel live stream,
Starting point is 01:49:14 me and Winston, she, she popped, she was live, yeah. And she showed up for some of the patrons at one point, too. Dancing Dog 60, Sam is simply awesome. The more Sam, the better. Pretty great. And then last one for now, Adam Smart, neither real rejects and Cinnapal's and Harloff Roundtable. I would love that.
