What's going on, everybody? It's episode five of Andor. Spoiler, heavy review here. So just to give everybody a heads up, what about the watch along? Aren't you going to do a reaction to the episode? Yes. So I had a screening,

I had a screener's for the first four. So I watched all of them, recorded him, sent him to NerdCronic, and he did them, and we had them all in time. I watched it early this morning, recorded it, sent it to him. He's working on an ad, so this came out first.

Now, what they used to, I used to be able to take screenshots when I was watched on Disney Plus. Now they do the stupid black box, so I can only do a, couple images for you, but nonetheless. Okay, so the episode five, I set it inside of the reaction and you'll see it. I already know. That's up to you. If you decide that's the case, then you know, you can figure that out. Anyway, all right, let's get into this thing. And or episode five. Now, I set it inside of the reaction when I was watching and you'll see it. I can already see people going, this is slow, nothing happened, there was no action, it was boring, there was just so much talking.

If you feel that, then I really think it's time for you to bail on the show. I'll be honest. because this to me was one of the best episodes so far because of the impact and how much building was put out there from everybody, from screen who is, or skein, screen, screen, skein, a character who was just one of part of the crew who just got so much more developed in this episode, Skeen, I think his name is, with Andor and the distrusting of Andor and the, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and,

they're relating to Andor in the same way. And all the moments, it's really his episode as he tells him, look, you understand these tats. You understand what it is. You and I have been through it. But because of that, it doesn't really trust Andor the whole way through. And then he finally puts the knife to his throat, finds the Khyber crystal and says, this guy is, he's got, look how much money he's got. Why is he doing this? And then Andor tells him at the end, because of it, he said, yeah, I got paid.

I'm getting paid to be here. What does it matter? I've already pointed out throughout this entire episode, everything you guys are doing to mess up. You got the left-handed guy in the wrong side of the thing. You got this guy doing that. You can't even get the thing out of the air without me. So what do you care if I'm getting paid for it?

I'm here to do the job. Let me do the job. You're scared? I'm scared. Who gives you shit? Let's do it. And they're like, all right, guy makes a good point. So much so that scheme says them to the end.

He said, look, I told you I was here for revenge. My brother was getting pressured by the empire. for the entire time on the farm. He couldn't handle it anymore. He took his own life. And because of that, I blame the empire. I hate the empire. I'm not going to apologize to you fully because I still felt in my gut that I had to challenge you.

I'm glad I did because look what happened. So that's my apology. And it was good enough for me. And I knew they were going to be buddies. I knew it was going to work out that way. And if Schen winds up dying, I'm going to hate it. I mean, in a way because I'm attached to him. So the development and the development inside of it,

What they've done so far in those first three was that they build, they build. And then by the time you get to that third episode, you're like, wow, everything that they built up in those first two episodes are making you care so much that when the third one happens and Andor it gets off the planet with Scars Guard, you're like, wow, that was so impactful. Same thing happens here.

They're building up this team. They're showing the idea of this little rag tech thing. And they end it with Scars Guard, where he's at the end going, I'm stressing. And his wife, or I believe it's his wife, is saying, nothing's coming through tonight. It's all going down tomorrow. Go to sleep.

What can you do? You've done everything that you can. There are screw ups that happen. Guy, let's let it go. And he's like, ah, my instincts with Andor, I don't know. I don't know if it was right. She's like, go to sleep. Because it's stressing him out.

This is it. Everybody could be exposed. So that whole lead-up and the ending there, they're showing the impact of this mission and how they're training for it. And that tie fighter seems my favorite. It was so good. That's the type of stuff.

For the people who are looking for the boom boom and all that stuff, and, you know, to me, this is the stuff that as they're in that field, and they're talking about it, he's pointing out the left-handed stuff, and then comes flying in there. The pilot's just being a dick to fly over them. But then you got the other side of it where the, and the reveal of, yeah, we got a mole on the inside, and he fell in love with this woman. The woman's gone now.

He hates the empire because of it. and now he's working with them. And you see the way, and the way that they led up to that the entire time, the way that you first see him and go, okay, this guy's into the dick imperial, and then he turns out to be on their side. And you can see the other side of the imperials that are trying to just make their way. And it was the thing that I was hoping that you were going to see that other side, the human side of the empire, and you see it.

And you see it again with the female imperial who is, she's discovered. She has discovered what is going down, and nobody is listening to. and she's telling her her assistant who's going, you got this. You see this. And she has, it's like everybody has like these people in their ears that are, that are talking to them and saying it was, it was every single person, whether it was Andor and his crew having the bond, Scars Guard and his wife having that moment of you got this,

the imperial having that. All of these moments that just built and built and built is why I loved it so much. And then you've got the, our guy from the beginning who we thought was the, the main villain who looks like the same Whitmer guy, right? And his mom is just breaking his balls the entire episode. And what's this guy doing? He's eating cereal. He's eating cereal throughout the episode.

He's got to, and the cereal looked delicious. I got to tell you. But he's two times, and she's like, hey, you are a terrible worker. You should have listened to Mustache Magoo. You didn't. And now you got no job. So I got to call your uncle and get you out of this. Dickface, how you feel about that?

And he's like, uh, mom. You're breaking my balls. More meatball sandwiches. And she's like, hey, and the mother with the smoker's accent, she's like a cross between like an imperial accent and a Brooklyn accent. And she's like, hey, you know, I'm going to call you Uncle Harlow. Now finish your cereal and make your bed, dick what? And it was, those moments were great.

So you, and he's getting all piss. He's starting to get Jeffrey Dahmerize for Andor. His leaf blowers here, guys. He showed up. I was waiting. I sent him an invite, and I wasn't sure he was going to show up. I wasn't sure if he was going to like Andor or not,

but he's here. He made it. But either way, man, you can see him. He's all getting all possessed or, he's like stalking Andor in that thing and looking at the hologram. And let's not forget about Monmouthma.

This is my favorite stuff with Monmouthma. First of all, we find out she has a kid. A kid wants nothing to do with a typical teenage kid. It was like, very reminiscent to when I told my daughter that we couldn't get her tickets for the in-and-out truck at school. She was pissed. Same thing here. She's pissed.

And she's like, I beat it, Mom. You don't even want to be here anyway. And she's like, that cuts deep. She's like, just calling the truth. And the dad's got the best jacket in town. I need it. I just needed to go shopping at the grocery store. That's all I need.

I just want to wear that coat. Pick jalapinos. Why? Because I like jalapinos on my burritos. Don't judge. Why would you judge? It's spicy and delicious. Either way.

Mon Mothma is going through it, man. She's this major leader, and it shows the more human side of Mon Mothma. She's got all these things she's got to do. She's got all these things she's got to do, but she's got a husband who doesn't, who's just living the life. Daughter is pissed off at her,

and then they're in Choruson, and she just throwing shade at the husband, man. leaf blower agrees. Just throwing shade at the husband saying, what do you care? You don't care about this stuff. You're a dummy. And either way, all that buildup,

36 minutes, 37 minutes, whatever it was. These episodes are just about as short as the other ones, but I feel like so much more happens. He does too. So either way, man, I love this episode. I thought it was great. I really did.

I thought it was great. And the building of it, and the fact that Skeen and Andrew are going to be buddies, you know they are. And the leadership, that was the thing, is the leadership of Andrew really shine through in this episode. You're going to, I am so excited for this mission now. The mission alone is what is really getting me because they've led up for these first two episodes by the, now I care more about the mission, but they would have just jumped into it.

I feel like a lot of other shows would have just said, okay, here's our mission. We're going to plan out the mission in the first like 10 minutes. and then the last part of the episode will be the actual mission. This is the lead-up and the build-up. I said inside of the reaction reminds me a little bit of our season of Walking Dead the way that the characters are building together in this group. But I loved it. I'm curious, though.
