The Kristian Harloff Show - Avengers Doomsday Tracking To SHATTER Spider-Man Brand New Days Box Office Records?!

Episode Date: August 18, 2026

Roxy Striar and Mike Kalinowski are taking over The Kristian Harloff Show today to break down the biggest stories in Marvel, DC, and Hollywood! The main conversation centers on Avengers: Doomsday and ...whether Marvel Studios' massive December event movie could actually shatter the box office records recently set by Spider-Man: Brand New Day. With Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom, the Avengers assembling alongside characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four, and anticipation continuing to build, just how big can Avengers: Doomsday get? Roxy and Mike discuss whether Doomsday could become a historic box office event and potentially challenge the biggest movies of all time. Marvel is also preparing audiences for Doomsday in a big way. Disney has revealed a pre-Avengers: Doomsday watchlist, while new information about Marvel Studios' 2028 slate gives us a better idea of where the MCU could be heading after Doomsday and toward Avengers: Secret Wars. We'll combine both stories to discuss Marvel's larger strategy and the future of the MCU. Then it's time for a LANTERNS SPOILER REVIEW! Roxy and Mike dive into HBO and DC Studios' Lanterns, discussing the series with full spoilers, the biggest moments, what worked, what didn't, and what it means for the larger DCU. They also discuss Kyle Chandler revealing that Lanterns nearly went in a very different direction when it came to superhero suits. ⚠️ SPOILER WARNING: The Lanterns discussion will contain spoilers. Finally, the writer of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has spoken out about DC's Supergirl movie following its theatrical run. What happened with the film, and what does its performance mean for the future of James Gunn and Peter Safran's DCU? Starting point is 00:00:01 He's going to be smooth sailing today. No issues going on here at the Christian Harlov show. All right, my friends, we're talking to Vendors' box office. We're talking about what is a Mr. Cook? Because why's your girl in the dark? Who's Mr. Cook? What's Mr. Cook? When does Mr. Cook?
Starting point is 00:00:26 I called him Mr. Cookie. Really sorry about that. And we're doing a spoiler review of lanterns, all that and whatever else happens right now. Did you shit in there? You know what I'm going to do to start the show? I'm going to throw everyone under the bus. I'm going to throw literally every person under the bus. Because I will not deal with the slander today.
Starting point is 00:01:01 I won't deal with it. I'm here, and I was here on time. Where is everybody else? I don't know. I don't know who they are, what they are, when they are. I have not. I do not know this man. I have not seen this man.
Starting point is 00:01:17 And that is the truth of the situation. But I'm here. And I know exactly what we're talking about today. And it's all things that I actually really give a crap about. So I'm excited for that. The other thing I will tell you guys is that I do know Mike Kalinowski will be in attendance today. And something tells me that means that he cooks. I don't know, but that's what I'm hearing.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Okay, Mikey Christmas. You're going to be a part of this too now. You're going to be a part of this. I don't know what it is. I don't want to be. You know these are the kind of shenanigans I can't stand. So what's happened? What's Mr. Cook?
Starting point is 00:01:59 It is a... Don't don't say anything. I'm just going to... We'll just show her, Mr. Cook. Now? I'd rather stick a hot iron in my mouth than welcome that serial murder into this colony. Besides, it's been so long since we've been to a party. I'm not exaggerating.
Starting point is 00:02:17 You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook. I demand satisfaction. I think you're so cute. What? That was young Mikey. I think you're so cute. Little Mikey. What is that?
Starting point is 00:02:40 It was a film I did. Fifteen, sixteen years ago now. Play it again. No, that's not. Let's, I'd rather stick a hot iron in my mouth than welcome that serial murderer into this colony. Besides, it's been so long since we've been to a party. I'm not exaggerating. You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook.
Starting point is 00:03:02 I demand satisfaction. What serial murderer? What were you exaggerating about? And what did you do to offend him? I don't remember. I was, he was a colonizer, I think, trying to take over my land and I didn't want to give up my land. Okay. And you offended him for the last time, how? I don't know. He challenges me to a duel, so I have to duel.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Did you duel? Yeah, of course I beat him. I thought it was the good guy. But did you physically, or did they bring in somebody else to do the swordwork? Or what's a dual? No, we do. Pistols. Pistols. We had to shoot each other. Yeah. Pistols at like 10 paces. Wait, I'm not understanding why Christian's dogging on you. Because he sees me getting slapped. That's why. Why? Yeah, but this is not the same as the Roka commercial.
Starting point is 00:03:59 I don't know. Maybe it's the wig and the period piece. The girl and the, not that this has anything to do with dogging me, the girl that was in that, that was my girlfriend at the time. Oh. Yeah. That was my lady. Say it again.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Oh, Christ. I'd rather stick a hot iron in my mouth than welcome that serial murderer into this colony. Besides, it's been so long since we've been to a party. I'm not exaggerating. You have offended me for the very. last time, Mr. Cook, I demand satisfaction. I'm not exaggerating. It's kind of a wild line for what she said. Like, that's not really a response to what she said, but
Starting point is 00:04:40 you have a type, Mikey. I have a type? Yeah, you have a type. Okay, let's, what do you think is my type? Busty brunette women. Oh, oh, a type of woman. Oh, yes. 100%. What is you? I think you meant like my acting type. Oh, no, you're an actor. Oh, no. Oh, 100%. I actually, I got a really good story about that young lady and my young lady that are currently, it's, I don't know, maybe at the end of them doing questions, I'll go into it.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Oh, my God. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay. So can I chime in for a second? I didn't want to stay. Mr. John and Winston both had a claim that I wanted you to either, you know, verify or, you.
Starting point is 00:05:31 of deny. They believe that in that first sentence. You forgot your line mid take and then remembered it like last second. That very first part. No, I think I think it's just bad acting. I don't think I forgot my line. I think that's just terrible acting. You know, like, you have a quick stutter step on one word. I know what they wanted us to do. They wanted us to do like an old English but not English. So it's like I was doing accents and you know, I'm fucking 30 years old trying to do accents. It's just like, I don't know. I don't remember what the script is, but I have a feeling it's just bad acting.
Starting point is 00:06:04 I don't think it's trying to. I'm getting my lines. I have to tell you, and maybe this is because I just fully stand up for actors all the time, that's on them. Do another take. Say, that's why I don't think it's a mess line.
Starting point is 00:06:19 I think it is me as trying to do a dramatic pause or something. You flubbed a word for a second. Like, say, let's take it again. This was not. You're not so old that this was, uh, would have been a million dollars for them to take it. Dude. Like, look at me. I just love my words.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Let's take it again. Take it again, Sam. Hey, you know. All right. So that's the fucking whole Mr. Cook, Mr. Cook, man, you're good. You know, Harleff. He gets, the guy thinks, you know, someone's shit in their pants is the funniest thing he's ever heard. So, you know him.
Starting point is 00:06:54 But like I literally, so behind the scenes for you guys, and then we will talk about, um, how of Avengers Doom's Day's tracking because it's crazy. But behind the scenes, you know that I was hosting the show today. And I wanted to know if I had a co-host. And he was like, your co-host is Mr. Cook. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:07:15 who am I? Like, can I know who I'm hosting with? And he was like, oh, you'll find out. And I was like, you know, you guys know me. I like to prepare for the shows. Who the fuck am I doing it with? And he was like, Who is Mr. Cook?
Starting point is 00:07:29 So then he sent a video of Macy to us. And Macy was like... I remember that. Okay, yeah, yeah. Macy was like imitating you. And I was like, is your daughter doing the show with me? And he was like, just wait. Like, could you not tell me you'll find out about Mr. Cook,
Starting point is 00:07:44 but Mike Kalanowski's co-hosting the show with you? Like, could you not have just said that? Like, did it have to be a surprise that you were my co-odes today? I don't know. Maybe I would have planned something for us. Like a picnic. I don't know, kiddo. I don't know, kiddo.
Starting point is 00:08:04 All right. Do you feel like another thing for you to know is that I'm not logged in because Christian was not responding to me this morning. So we're not going to pull up the stories. Oh. Wait, I think I can pull up the stories then. Okay. You can try. Let me see.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Let me see. Mikey will pull up the stories and I will read them unless Mikey wants to read them. How's your reading? How is my reading? Yes. I have my glasses on. It's good. You know, again?
Starting point is 00:08:33 I got in trouble last time, Mike, you read something. Eesh, that's right. I'm fucking like Ron Burgundy up here. Which, which button do I push? What do I hit? Which one do I hit? All right. We're just not going to pull them up.
Starting point is 00:08:44 I'm going to read them and you guys at home. Like that? Nope. Here I am. Just in the corner. I don't, Mike, I couldn't possibly know what you're trying to do right now. Oh, it's worry. No, that's me. Don't want me.
Starting point is 00:08:58 No. Me? There we go. I don't even have access to what you just did. So I, you just remove me. I was trying to do it, but I was trying to put the story. And I don't remember where he told me it is. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Media assets. Oh, there we go. Media assets. Oh, actually not being logged in. I actually think that I might be able to share my screen. Wait, yeah, I can do that, right? Yes, I just share my screen. I got this, guys.
Starting point is 00:09:21 I got this in the bag. It doesn't matter that everybody tried to fuck me up to start the day. I can do this. And I can do this with pride and dignity. And that starts. right now. Do you know what? Arloff likes doing the Mr. Cook thing, Roxy?
Starting point is 00:09:36 You know why he likes doing it? He's an asshole. That's right. Very good. Do you see where I put the story? Can you put that on screen? You see where it says rocks underneath with the story? How's that?
Starting point is 00:09:51 Just click on that. I did. It's really good. It's up to work. Here we go. Squad, let's talk about Andrew's Doomsday. I want everybody to remember for the purposes of this conversation that Christian Harlov made the insane at the time, guess that Avengers Doom's Day was going to make $3 billion at the box office,
Starting point is 00:10:08 and now that is not looking as insane as it once was. This is coming from comic book movie from Josh Wilding, who says, after disappointing in 2025 that saw Captain America Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four First Steps, either lose money or barely break even. This year has proven that audiences will show up for the right superhero movie. In this instance, that's Spider-Man Brand New Day,
Starting point is 00:10:30 a blockbuster that has broken countless box office records and massively exceeded expectations. This past weekend, it became the Webb Slinger's highest grossing movie ever swinging past the $2 billion mark worldwide. Now, all eyes are on December's Avengers Doomsday. Is an Avengers movie set to be outgrossed by a solo outing for Spitey, or will the multiverse's mightiest hero be enough to put an end to superhero fatigue once and for all? According to the wrap, after opening advanced ticket sales over the weekend, premium format pre-sales started in July. Avengers Dune's Day is approximately 65% ahead of the pace set by the first two days of pre-sales per brand new day. That movie was second only to Avengers Endgame with a $360 million opening weekend in the U.S.
Starting point is 00:11:15 and global bow of $927 million. If these numbers are any indication, Avengers Dumes Day will smash all expectations during its first weekend in theaters. However, it's going to be essential for the movie to be as well received as Spider-Man brand new day. If the Russo Brothers drop the ball and deliver a letdown, then that second weekend drop will be colossal. Think Batman v. Superman, Daughtnuch Justice, to have a massive nearly 70% drop during its second weekend, a free fall from a then-mass of $166 million start. Dune Part 3 is also in the mix, of course,
Starting point is 00:11:47 and exhibitors expect to see a strong December with that End Avengers' Dune's Day holding up well, similar to how the Odyssey and Spider-Man brand new day have ruled July. Quote, according to theatrical sources, Dune Part 3's IMAX 70 millimeter screenings are already seeing dozens of sellouts from the film's opening weekend and could see continued high demand for round the clock showtimes through Christmas weekend and beyond. So I'm going to stop it here for now, squad, so that we can chit-chat about this. Mikey, hit the button that makes us big again, please.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Yeah. Like, you look at us, team. I didn't do that. I think PLD did that. Oh, I was going to say that was very fast. Thank you, Pldy. Sorry. Get the fuck out of here.
Starting point is 00:12:33 You want to talk about it? Let's talk about it. Yeah. Is Christian Harloff's $3 billion prediction seeming so outlandish now? You know, I don't know because I think brand new day will make more. This has been my kind of hill I'm going to die on. I think brand new day will make more. I don't think that was a great deal to die on.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I think a lot of time. I think a lot of people, I don't think that was a crazy hill to die on. I think a lot of people don't feel that way. I just seeing the reception and how good the movie is and how much people love it, like that's a, it just kept going and going. And like, but brand new, like, I think the big, the reason I keep saying this is because Dune, Dune is there, June has IMAX for a while, like the whole time. Like, I think that's going to be it's, it's kind of Achilles heel.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Now, if it's a great movie and people are like, you know, getting the vibes that they did when they saw endgame, then, hey, that movie probably could. I don't know about $3 billion. I think that is a, I don't know where he pulled that number out of. So take away the $3 billion for a second. Do you think that it is, what percentage chance is it that Avengers Doomsday makes more than Brand New Day? I'm going to cop out and say 50-50.
Starting point is 00:13:43 I think it's an easy, easy, man, what do you think? I always thought that Brand New Day was going to make less than a Avengers Doomsday, but that they were both going to do gangbusters. So I had the opposite feeling as you. However, I didn't think that brand new day was going to cross to Billy. Like I thought that. Oh, okay. I thought that we were looking maybe 1.8.
Starting point is 00:14:08 It's interesting having this conversation with you because you and I are quite possibly the two worst box office predictors. Oh, the worst. I mean, and neither of us understand otherwise. We're so bad at it. I think because, okay. Yeah. Wait, what is your, what is your worst box office take, like the prediction that you will,
Starting point is 00:14:29 that's the albatross? I have mine. I just remembered what it was. I thought, I thought this movie was going to make a billion after I saw it. Harley Quinn and Birds of Prey. I saw that and I was like, that's going to make a billion. I love that movie. I know.
Starting point is 00:14:46 And the audience I saw it with, William Bibiani was losing his mind. mind cackling. That shows you how much I thought this movie was going to just kill. Just kill I thought I was going to kill. So I'll wear that Albatross around my neck. I don't think that's the craziest prediction ever because it's a superhero movie. The movie was good. And the pandemic totally changed the box office for that.
Starting point is 00:15:08 I feel that was like right before it. Yeah, it was like February. But it also impacted. Yeah, sure. Oh, I know. I know. I think it was at the end of the scene. Not that the movie would have done gangbusters otherwise.
Starting point is 00:15:19 It probably wouldn't have. No. Yeah. I think that I like that prediction from you. Okay. I don't know. You guys at home probably remember better the dumb ass things I've said. There's been plenty of them.
Starting point is 00:15:31 And I don't pretend otherwise. Like I don't trust me for box office as far as I can throw me. And I can't throw me very far. I have very little upper body strength. I'm working on it. You know, I flew back yesterday from Boston because I came in for Grammy's birthday. Yeah, 99. Wow.
Starting point is 00:15:52 And I had to, I've been in the gym like crazy, so I was so excited because I was like, I'm finally going to be able to lift my carry on over my head. Okay. No. Did a nice gentleman help you? Nice gentleman. Do you know who it always is? 10 out of 10 time, 14 year old boy.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Good. He's learning. He's learning. His parents taught him well. There is nothing more humiliating than being out strength by. a child. Like, as somebody who goes to the gym is like constantly, like, I am trying to build my upper body.
Starting point is 00:16:29 You know, I'm going to ask, I'm going to ask my Shannon if she can do hers. Because she's a strong little lady. I find myself to be a strong little lady. And you know what's weird? I got to ask her. I don't know. I'm up to 22.5s for my overhead press for, uh, dumbbell. For each hand?
Starting point is 00:16:46 For each hand. Yes. So, so theoretically. That's technically 40. 45 pounds. So how fucking heavy is my carry? No, no. It's because rocks, you've got to think you're using bar dumbbells and you've got a grip. They're designed for your to carry. You're doing this thing. So it's less like it's not the same. And it's so high. It's when I go like this. My hands totally up. My armpits look where right now. When I, well, I'm just picturing you on a plane like. Yeah. And I go for it every time. But when I put my arms all the way up, they're not at the height of that. I have to be on my tiptoes. Yeah. You're. You're. Yeah. You're. You're. Yeah, they're not just, yeah, I'll ask Shannon because she's shorter than you. I think because every time I've flown with her, I pick it up for her. And I've been lifted.
Starting point is 00:17:29 I've been doing so much lower body that I have no problem getting the suitcase to my chest. Like I can lift with my legs to here. Yeah. But when I go to go up and everybody's looking at me and they're like, is she going to make it? Is she going to make it? And it's always a little boy who's like, ma'am. Is ma'am? I got you, ma'am.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Good, good. That child, that gives me hope for the future. Or like somebody's mom will be like, help her. And I'm like, oh, my God. Help that old lady. Help that little old lady. Oh, thank you, son. It's so fucking embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:18:03 No, it's not. What I used to do instead is check my bag because I was like, screw this. But now it's $60 every time you want to check your bag. And I'm like, I can't justify paying $120 round trip because I'm embarrassed to ask a child for help. you're not you're fine so anyway back to that box office gate uh you and i do say plenty of dumb things but i think that it's very possible here you asked me the same question i think that it is very possible that and this is a cop-out answer too but that doomsday beats out brand new day if doomsday is good if doomsday is good i'm just i think it will beat it out brand new day at the
Starting point is 00:18:49 me. I'm just wondering, like, if, I'm curious if this will beat, um, end game. Like, and if it does beat end game, I don't know what to say. What's the deal with, what's the deal with how much tickets cost? What year did end game come out? 2019. So seven years prior, are tickets that much more, like, instead of, you know what I mean? I would think they're probably five to six bucks more. probably yeah five or six bucks more yeah I think it's a lot more
Starting point is 00:19:25 I mean I just don't know I don't know if you know end game had such sorry had such stuff going for it what the fuck pick up on speaker no I get so much spam I don't I can't so I don't know what happened like yeah Grammy too and my ringer doesn't work
Starting point is 00:19:41 and Grammy has signed up for every single spam phone call I can my ringer doesn't work what are we talking about no I don't like trying to push there it goes now because a call was coming and I couldn't hit the silent button but I don't know my phone number is a Florida number still so I think someone in Florida got a hold of it I get probably 20 spam calls a day yeah it's insane and I try to report hey I sluts any barbers you calling me I still didn't watch that interview was a good we are all interview no Christian what do you mean oh no I have not yet we we we DM each other
Starting point is 00:20:19 We're DM each other. If we get to, and I don't even know if this would make us win, but if we get to 100 chats today, will you read us your most recent DMs with her? No, I'm kidding. Maybe. But I'll tell you what they are. It's nothing bad.
Starting point is 00:20:40 It's not like that. I wish her a happy birthday. It was like a month ago. How did you know it was her birthday? I think she posted online. Oh, okay. You didn't like, you don't just like be Googling. her birthday. No. And then she won an award for like something, something hottest milk or something. And I say,
Starting point is 00:20:57 congratulations. And she just said, thank you. Pull it up. How'd you phrase it? Let me see here. Yep. I need, I need receipts. And this is what the people want. Hold on. Let me see here. Okay. Honestly, yeah, you know what we'll do. What's that? Here's what we'll do. Great transition for us. We just talked about Avengers Doom's Day box office. Did we spend that long on it? We spent the appropriate amount of time. And before we hear about Mike's Penny Barber
Starting point is 00:21:28 DMs, I think that we should hear a little note from our friends over at Cash App. Winston. There's a delayed reaction by Mike. Was that Sydney to the max when he was on that? Fieldy? Yes, yeah, it was. He's adorable.
Starting point is 00:21:59 That's good. Listen, we all have our moments. And it's kind of fun that, is it just me, you and Winston? Quaid used to act, too. Oh, he's not on the show anymore. Roka, I mean. Oh, yeah, of course. Of course.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Is he still doing? No. As far as I know, he doesn't. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I, uh, Roka used to, Roka, I don't know if everyone knows this. And it's not a bad thing. He used to be a really big voice actor. He used to do a lot of acting.
Starting point is 00:22:29 He does. really great voices. Yeah. Yeah, he's a great voice actor. Okay, because I know that we need to get to, we have a hard out of 11 today, guys. So get in your super chats early. We need to get the questions earlier today. We're going to be coming to you guys soon. But I, we made a promise and a promise we shall keep. Mikey. What's that? What? What? That's my promise. Give the people what they want. What do they want? They want me? Like, I'm trying to, like, you had that entire ad. It's very underwhelming what you, what you think. Like, it's not, she just responds to my DMs. And I just respond to, I don't just randomly text her one day. Like, hey, how's your day? Like, we just, you know. So you don't want to share.
Starting point is 00:23:19 I don't know if this is like. How many exclamation points have you used? Responding to her? Yes. I don't know. Let me see here. More than one. Well, I can't read this one.
Starting point is 00:23:32 on the air. It's something she wrote to me. I can't read this on the air. What's it about? Her winning her award. It's, Roxy, you know, you know, you know Hollywood. It's all about relationships. It's all about relationships, this business. Right? You know, you're, you have a friend with a producer and they help you get into movies with Cape Beckinsale and you become a big movie star. Are you trying to become a corn star? No. No. I don't know. Do you imagine?
Starting point is 00:24:10 Do you imagine if I showed you guys like, hey, guys, I'm just letting you know, I'm trying, I'm doing a career shift. I don't think I don't know if Harle would have me on the show anymore. I don't think Harleff would have an average age of a man who does corn. I don't know, Roxy. I have no idea. I know we all think I'm the porn guru here, but a corn guru. You should research that a little bit more before you switch careers. Are you a dill?
Starting point is 00:24:35 Well, the acting industry is in the shitter, and I don't think the corn industry is going anywhere. So maybe. Oh, yeah, Chris Carr acts too. Thank you guys. She does voiceover stuff as well, I believe. She does very good voiceover stuff, I think. That's my bad.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Okay, so, Mikey. Yes. Let's see how we do on this one. Do you watch lanterns? come on now kid i know i didn't see you didn't text me or say fucking all right we're gonna talk about lantern so here's the thing it's now been out for a couple of days uh which means that if you do not want to be spoiled and you haven't had a chance to watch it yet you're gonna have to dip set for a little bit you're gonna know you can come back because i'm gonna viciously wave my hand you say dip dip set
Starting point is 00:25:25 you're going dip set what's that mean the spoiler thing is better the spoilers thing will go away when we're done with it. Yeah, dip set means like peace out. Okay. You never heard dipset? No. I've heard chopped. Someone's looking chopped today. Straight cab. This is spoiler review of the pilot of lanterns from the two people who used to host DC movie news together. One of whom was supposed to be cast as Hal Jordan and the other.
Starting point is 00:25:58 as John Stewart and you can guess who. Why wasn't I cast as John? Okay, Mikey, you're a huge Lantern fan. Talk to me about how you felt about this pilot. So I, huge, I mean, outside of Batman, he is my favorite character. I know, I know. I mean, even in comics. So the Ryan Reynolds movie had turned me off so much to the character.
Starting point is 00:26:25 I hadn't really read Green Lantern comics. some 15 years and I didn't collect. I missed the really good animated show. So, but I was hyped for this. I love Kyle Chandler and I love Aaron Pier. And then, but I still wasn't like ready to go because I was like, I don't, you know, okay, it'll be a TV show. We'll watch it.
Starting point is 00:26:43 And then I saw the Comic Con panel. And now having seen the episode, they showed us all the episodes, all the scenes they showed were from the panel or from this first episode. And I, after I walked out of that panel, I was like, oh, this is going to be awesome. And then I saw the show. it was awesome. Oh, good. Like I...
Starting point is 00:27:02 Are you seeing a lot of backlash? Because I dabble in a certain corner of the internet. Yes. But everyone's getting shot down because every review is saying it's incredible. Like, I haven't seen one review. And I'll say, okay, I can say this. One of my friends is an executive producer on the show. So I've known some things for a while about the show.
Starting point is 00:27:23 I also told them I don't want to know a lot, but I do know, like the big thing I knew that has... happened. I knew that happened. Well, let's talk about that for a second, because we are full spoilers. So in full spoilers, do you think that the ending of episode one is a bait and switch? Or do you think that Hal Jordan, Green Lantern, Kyle Chandler, actually him, actually right version, not anything, no tricks, no gimmicks, is dead. Again, now this I don't know. I knew he dies, but I don't know the outcome of it.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Right. Right. I told him I don't want spoilers. I don't want to know. And he did not even try to say anything to me about, you know. The show is about Manhunters and they made a point to say they're shape shifters. My first reaction was like, well, the ring wasn't there and the ring didn't find John. So he's not a lantern.
Starting point is 00:28:20 But then I think Tom Cain, so the writers were on a pod. Well, they were on a podcast and they said the guy got the ring in this interim. So I'm like, oh, that's not the same ring that he wears in the movie. I don't know because there's a whole rebirth story with Hal Jordan. He could become parallax. That's what a lot of people are saying. I don't think you hire Kyle Chandler for your show that you've got a 10-year plan for,
Starting point is 00:28:46 like the DC universe and not, like I know John Stewart is going to be the lantern of the DC. Like that is, he is going to be the main lantern. And I think for a generation You say no, do you mean you've been told that? No, I just, you can see he's being set up in because I'm an older generation, so Hal is my lantern, but there is an entire generation that grew up
Starting point is 00:29:09 on Justice League Unlimited that John Stewart is their lantern. And then there's people I know like Jason Inman, for example, he grew up at a time when Kyle Raynor was in the big lantern. So there's that in there. So I think it was smart to kind of transition to John Stewart and give it his origin, but I don't think Hal is going to be gone from the DCU. So if you had to make a prediction,
Starting point is 00:29:34 what is it that you think is happening in the scene? I think it's a Manhunter. I think it's a manhunter. And do you think that John Stewart thinks that? The timelines are messing me up. Yeah, I know. Because for the... It's smart that they're doing that, though.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Yeah, but for the first, till they showed that body, I'm like, well, they're in 2026. Oh, no, they're in 2016. at this point until they go to the 2026 because she says, you know, you have an age. I was like, oh,
Starting point is 00:30:06 it's right. The whole episode takes place in 2016, the majority of it. So the timelines are messing me up. But you don't do Damon Lindeloff, Tom King, and without a mystery and layers. It's not cut and dry.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Don't think it's cut and dry. I just don't. So every podcast or people that have heard talking about this spend 50 minutes talking about the ending and very. ending and very little talking about the rest, which I think is actually kind of a bummer, even though I love the ending. It's a big swing. I love the episode.
Starting point is 00:30:38 Like, I love their chemistry. I love their, or lack their dynamic, I guess. There was some really powerful moments that was just, it was very exciting to watch. And I love the scene at the police station. I love the alien scene. I thought that that interrogation was unbelievable. I that was a scene in the comic con in hall h where I'm sitting there and as the scene's going on I'm just leaning forward in my chair and I talked to my friend after as my executive the
Starting point is 00:31:09 produce friend I go that actor out opposite Kyle Chandler is phenomenal phenomenal he did an amazing to act across him and I've never seen that actor before I'm sure he's got a list of credits but the way he handled that scene he would that was phenomenal and that was the scene of Oath out. Smart writing too for them to get, have him be the one to get the oath out. And like, because we also have to remember, Mikey, yes, you're a diehard Green Lantern fan. And I am a more educated than most Green Lantern fan. Like I, I happen to, none of the Green Lanterns are my absolute favorite character in DC. But I, I have baseline knowledge on five Green Lanterns.
Starting point is 00:31:50 So, like, I know more than the average person, obviously. some people this is their introduction to green lantern some people that they have no idea how many lanterns can be at once how somebody becomes a lantern what the oath is who hal is who john is what their relationship is um maybe they know who guy is because they've seen the movie now but like there's a lot of people that they had some heavy lifting to do with this and i think that they did a really good job of not being boring while also explaining a lot and this is a lot and this is a lot and this is a lot of it's a lot and this is a lot. This is a cool way for them to get in the oath and show that how, and they talked about this after the episode, how doesn't take a lot seriously or it doesn't seem that way sometimes, but he does take this seriously. Yeah. Like when he, like I love the way that they handled flying too, like when he just gets up from that table and takes off. And there was, I don't know if you remembered it was, it was like right when they were filming, one of the stunt guys posted a video of them doing the flying on set. And it was like a rig that they had and it got taken down like instantly. And I was like, oh, that's going to be really cool.
Starting point is 00:32:56 They're going to do the flying. Like it just, Kyle Chandler's great. And that's like he's just, I mean, you know, he's got a little bit of that southern twang to him. But I think it fits. I just, he's got this kind of, I just, and Aaron Piero was great. Like I just. He's so good. The, the main sheriff with the girl.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Garrett Dillan is always awesome whenever he pops up. Like I just like, I just like, yeah, like from ComicCon till now, it was almost a month. It was, it sucked because I was like, I got to see the show. I want to see the show again. I want to see these scenes again because they showed us the whole interrogation scene. And it was just, are there other things you know about the show? Don't tell us, obviously, but are there things? I don't think so. Okay. Because I'll say this, they did a really good job. Everything we've seen in the trailers is only like the first three or four episodes. Okay. Because they go. People are like, well, Earth, it's Green Lantern. It's this,
Starting point is 00:33:49 but it's earthbound. It's like, no, they go cosmic. They, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, They slowly work. Because you know, you understand, I try to explain this to people. Like you and I, we were always going to watch this show. You didn't need to sell us on this show. No. People like my parents that watch Yellowstone and True Detective, that's the audience that HBO has to get in, you know, that's outside of this.
Starting point is 00:34:12 My parents? Yeah. I don't know. I'm going to talk to them. But they're not super. I don't mean specifically. I'm just saying, yeah, okay, as you're saying. I think so.
Starting point is 00:34:20 I mean, Wool's, I don't know how they get in. numbers and whatnot. But the reactions, the reviews and everything seemed like it is great. And I think word of mouth will really help it. All right. Well, those are our thoughts on Lanterns. Episode one. We'll be talking about it every week, I'm sure. And especially because Mike and I will bully Christian into it. It's, you know, I mean, I'm glad you didn't see any of the kind of hate that, you know, I got into it with one guy. He was. I did see some. He was. He was. he's upset because they made John Stewart a vegan. Oh wait, wait, wait, get the spoilers back on.
Starting point is 00:34:57 That's not a spoiler. What did you say? They were just upset that John Stewart was a vegan. And I'm like, you know, I tried to say it doesn't change his character. They didn't take John Stewart from being a sniper and a architect and turn him into a mailman. Like it informed Garrett Dillan's character because Dillan knew he was in the military, his rank, but then he also had tofu steaks ready for him. Like, how in the world would someone know that?
Starting point is 00:35:24 Like, it informed his character. And it's in the story. And they just were like, he, he's not a vegan. Establish eats meat. I'm like, okay, that's who you are. You're going to bitch about anything. So move on. Speaking, moving on, that is what we need to do right now.
Starting point is 00:35:41 I think that we only have time for one more story. And I think that we should hit this Batman part two story. So that is... I didn't see this. I read the story. I didn't even read it. I wanted to see it on air. Like, I didn't...
Starting point is 00:35:56 If they told who... Yeah, go ahead. I was like, ooh. I'm going to put it up and then you got to put me up. Okay. Here we go. Do it. Or PLD.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Oh, you got it. Oh, PLD. Yeah. Thank you, PLD. It's coming from ConbookMovie.com from Mark Cassidy. Earlier this year, Batman Part 2, director Matt Reeves, officially announced the main cast for his long-awated sequel on social media. The filmmaker confirmed that Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright,
Starting point is 00:36:19 Andy Circus, Colin Farrell, Jamie Lawson, and Gil Perez, Abraham will reprise the roles alongside new cast members, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dan, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree. Henry. Reaves did not reveal the characters Gotham City's new edition will play, but we
Starting point is 00:36:35 have been led to believe that Stan has been cast as Harvey Dent slash two-face Johanson as his wife, Gilda, and Dan's father, Christopher. Rumors soon circulated that this may not be the case, however. The hot mics, Jeff Snyder, Schneider said he'd heard that Stan is playing different villain entirely while dance has been
Starting point is 00:36:56 cast as the father of Johansson's character more recently Snyder followed up by claiming Stan will actually play twisted serial killer of Victor Zaz and Brian Tyree Henry will play Harvey Den johansen meanwhile is believed to be playing a version of poison ivy Dan's been spotted out in public with a shaved head adding fuel to the Zaz speculations but Thunderbolt Star has now confirmed outright that he is playing Harvey Dent. During an interview with French publication, Le Gernal du Demosch.
Starting point is 00:37:27 Perfect. Nailed it. Dan mentioned that he will take on the role of Gotham City's DA and the Batman Part 2 when asked if he could share any details about Avengers Doomsday. Quote, honestly, I have no idea because we didn't have a script. We were shooting, scattered, scenes, different way of working,
Starting point is 00:37:43 continuous, constantly evolving. The producers didn't want us to read it in its entirety to avoid journalists asking us, questions. I've been following this rule for 15 years. I'm used to it. I also can't say anything about Batman Part 2 by Matt Reeves, where I play Harvey Dent in theaters February 16th.
Starting point is 00:38:00 That's editor's note. The beauty of the profession also lies in participating in projects of the scale, which I love as a viewer right now. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Odyssey by Christopher Nolan. It looks amazing. Okay, well, he said Batman Part 2 by Matt Reeves, where I play Harvey Dent.
Starting point is 00:38:15 This is direct quote attributed to the stand in the article, so it looks like we can put the speculation to rest unless the actor is simply attempting to throw fans off the scent here. That would be wild. It seems unlikely, but it wouldn't be the first time an actor has misled or flat out lied and an attempt to preserve the secrecy around the role. The phrasing is a little weird here, though, because he says, sorry, just to deviate from the article for a second, he says, I've been following the rules for 15 years.
Starting point is 00:38:40 I'm used to it. I also can't say anything about the Batman part two by Matt Reeves where I play Harvey Dent. He says like, I mean, I think Anything like was there sarcasm in his voice? Was he like where I play or every day? I think he's saying that like I can't say anything but they've let they've let me say this one thing. You know, I don't know like people like I got the fact people like oh he's got a shaved head. Well, he had a shaved head but it wasn't a clean bald head.
Starting point is 00:39:08 He still kind of had like you saw the shading of his hair. Zaz is always completely bald. So it's like and they have wig. You know, after seven weeks. Maybe they wanted a different look for him. I wonder what happened with Jeff. I'll call him and ask him, but I'm curious. Like, sometimes you get the wrong tip.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Yeah. Sure. Just want to throw out that Jeff's still kind of doubling down on Twitter. That he said, he said, oh, hello, random French outlet. I can't tell you anything, but let me confirm my role in this top secret movie. It's not a misdirected at all. I'm working with the makeup team, even though I haven't been spotted in makeup yet. I even shade my head like a good district attorney.
Starting point is 00:39:44 They also went on to say, if you guys buy that, confirmation. I have a bridge I'd like to tell you, use your brains, do some critical thinking. I mean, like we said, I don't even know what like that one article is. I can't Jeff is such a dick. He's just such a fucking asshole. Like, use your brain, do some critical
Starting point is 00:40:00 thinking. Like, Jeff, my love. Be kind. Please rewind. To his point, to his point, like, yes, random French journalist. Like, they gave this big story to the, you know, it's just like, you know, it's like every time I
Starting point is 00:40:16 see like one of those random sites like, oh, Zach Snyders, hired by Paramount to cancel James Gullen by this comics newsbook.com. It's just like, shut the fuck out. You don't know that French outlet?
Starting point is 00:40:32 I obviously knew it very well. Oh. No, I don't know that French. I don't know. But let me ask you guys this. I just texted Jeff and I said, I'm on air. Why the Double Down? Are you right? Love you. Let me ask this. Why does
Starting point is 00:40:48 anyone, I don't mean it like this. Why do you want to know who he is? Not you, Roxy. I'm just saying why do audiences, why do you guys want to know? Why wouldn't you? That was my problem with, we didn't get to talk about Roxy with brand new day, which I liked. Every single thing that was a surprise in that movie, I knew
Starting point is 00:41:04 going into it. There was not one thing and I was like, holy shit, I can't believe I didn't know that. You knew? Who Sadie Sink was? Nobody knew. Oh, okay. That's sarcasm. But I'm just like, imagine if we was a big secret it did not get spoiled that fall and didn't come out and you know that pops up her name jean gring she's like that would have been awesome so it's just like
Starting point is 00:41:28 why do we care who he is we'll find out it's not like it's going to change we'll find out what what is what does it do what is getting a scoop and finding out well well i don't guess is like such a a i hope this isn't the most insensitive transition ever but probably is but go for it Yeah, it is about to be. Why do we need to know how Hayden Penitieri died? Why do we need to know? Why is the entire conversation? So I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:42:00 I know what you're saying. I think we are curious as a people and we want information because we want to know things. Like we just we need to be the first to know to understand to see if it's what we thought, to see if it's what we, to see if it's the biggest nightmare. or deceive. And obviously there are two completely different things. But I find this on the internet all the time. And I find it within myself all the time, this curiosity and this need to know things that really don't act like aren't my business to know. And yeah, I, well, I, I, I know what you're saying. But I think when someone passes away, especially if it's someone
Starting point is 00:42:39 that's beloved, you're like, I hope it was peaceful. I hope. I hope. Like Sam Neal, you're like, you find out how he, like, it wasn't. And like, Sam Neal, for example, like, I'm like, oh, please don't let it be his cancer because he beat cancer. And it wasn't. It was a complication to something else. So I mean, you're like, oh, thank God. At least he went peacefully with his family. You want to know that were they surrounded by their family?
Starting point is 00:43:05 Did they, was it okay? Or like, stories came up that her ex-boyfriend was at music this year. Like, oh, shit, is this a Rob Reiner? Right. But she's not she's not our friend and they will tell us what we deserve to know like or like the people closer.
Starting point is 00:43:25 I agree. I and I am somebody who immediately I'm not above. I'm not saying like why are you guys want to know immediately I was like what the fuck happened? Because I loved her. She's young and it's out of the blue.
Starting point is 00:43:38 We didn't know she was sick. But I do feel that some people look at these movies like it's real life and they're like, who is this character? I need to know. Is it going to be the thing that I want it to be? Is it not the thing I want it to be? And the way that we treat fiction versus nonfiction anymore,
Starting point is 00:43:56 it's just like it all sounds the same to me. Okay. I never thought about that. I need to know. And I fall into the trap sometimes where I'm like, I engaged in 80 conversations about who's Sadie Singh playing from beginning to end. Who is she playing? Why did I do that?
Starting point is 00:44:14 I don't know. I don't know. I guess I can separate real reality from fiction. I just like to be surprised in movies. Me too. Me too. But that doesn't mean that like sometimes I don't, curiosity doesn't get the best of us.
Starting point is 00:44:28 And curiosity isn't always for like nefarious reasons. Sometimes people, like if it's like you, right, why did you, why did you know that the spoiler you knew at the end of Green Lanter? Why did I I had heard the rumor before this I had heard it was out there So I went and I asked him
Starting point is 00:44:49 I go is it true? And he goes yeah You but you want to that And then I said don't tell me anything But it was out there already But you wanted to know if that was true or not Yeah just because We all have things that were like
Starting point is 00:45:00 I don't know that like we just can't fucking help But here's the thing rocks Here's the thing If that never got out And that last scene happened I wouldn't have lost my mind Because I would know There's more to the story
Starting point is 00:45:11 I go, this is just, they just, this isn't, like, I, I equate this. I don't know if you remember it was about three, four years ago when Kevin Smith did the He Man Netflix animated series. And He Man died in the first episode and Tila kind of took over and people lost their fucking minds. And Kevin Smith tried to say, just wait for the story. And when the full story came out, you're like, oh, wow, it is all about Heeman. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Look at this. He Man was not dead. everyone kind of like the talk just kind of petered out because everyone's like oh yeah I look fucking stupid for saying that but they lost their minds after that first episode dropped it was ridiculous so let the filmmakers tell the story they want to tell like you know i agree with you totally i'm just saying i'm not judging anybody i know you know things because i it comes it happens to me all the time where i'm just like i don't know why i need to fucking know that but i just all right we got to get some questions let's go for you pl d l ds
Starting point is 00:46:11 is that okay if we don't talk the rest of the stories and we just get to questions? I'm at, yeah, all right. I think he gave me a thumbs up, but here that he just talked. Mr. Cook says it's okay. Yes, Rossi, it is okay. Thanks, dude. Let's get to some of these questions that I can't put up,
Starting point is 00:46:27 but PLD hopefully will help me out with because there we go. Michael D in the house. Welcome back, Roxy. Think Endgame Encore hits three Billy. Oh, he thinks. Is that what people are calling, doomsday?
Starting point is 00:46:40 End game on. No, no. There's Endgame Encore is the new when they're releasing Endgame in theaters with extra footage. And that movie, that money goes towards Endgame's original total. So he thinks that's going to push it to the ability. Are they calling it End Game Encore like publicly? Yeah. I think that's what it's called. Wow. Yeah. Can I get an encore? But apparently, and Rocks, it is, it is essential viewing, they say. Like, you have to see this because it sets up doomsday. So everyone's not in theaters then? No, they can't because they want money and they're greedy.
Starting point is 00:47:14 That's why. Exactly why. All right. They're businessmen. So, hey. Nathan Drake, 253, who's the guy that slaps Mr. Cook? He looks so familiar. Do you remember?
Starting point is 00:47:24 I do. His name's Brandon Watford. I'll tell you this. The reason you might think he looks familiar, he was probably the premier Robert Pattinson, Twilight, lookalike for the run of that show. That man got so much. work and traveled the world.
Starting point is 00:47:43 He looked, you have no idea how much he looked like Robert Pattinson. Wow. At the height of Twilight, he was, like, the things he went and where he went, how much he, it was insane. Yeah. So maybe that's how you know him. He does look a little bit like Pattinson. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:47:58 I don't know. Okay. I don't think he acts anymore. Thank you, Lewis, Nis, 46, 4, 2 for becoming. Lewis. Louis. Appreciate you. All right, our dude, Ron, H, what you got today.
Starting point is 00:48:11 No money. Okay, but that, but had to chat. Chat, super chat, but chat. Dancing and train, people watching me, too many people watching, headphone wearing, Asian dancing crazily, nothing to see here. All right. Do you dance like no one's watching? Isn't that the saying?
Starting point is 00:48:30 Dance like no one's watching? I think he is. Mr. Cook. Armada. Mr. Cook. Too many cooks. Too many cooks. All right.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Mike Joyce. Why are the Avengers scared? of Dr. Doom, when Gaia from Secret Invasion exists, she has the powers of half of the MCU roster, Doom should be scared of her. Mike Joyce, that's the question, pal, that were so many characters introduced that we're not going to talk about, I guess. So you make a good point, man. That was supposed to be an incredibly powerful character.
Starting point is 00:49:07 But because it's, is convenient for the story to not have them there, they will not be there. I think that's, you know. Do you want to know what Jeff said? Snyder? Yeah. Well, you can't tease that and not say it. Go for it. I'm a million percent right.
Starting point is 00:49:25 I mean, he's, I think his track record is more right than wrong. So, and I would, I would take Jeff's word of a guy living in Los Angeles. Never trust these interviews. Could it be, hey, here's the thing, Rocks. Could it be that. And then he said off the record. and then he wrote something else to me. So I won't read that far.
Starting point is 00:49:47 All right. Could it be that the translation was lost? It was a French journalist. So maybe in the translation, it got lost. I don't know. I don't know. All right. I mean, who do you think, going back to that story for a second.
Starting point is 00:50:02 Yeah. Unrelated. This French outlet said, this French outlet said, who do you think he is? I, my gut was saying he's going to be Tommy Elliott and hush. but like there seems to be a lot of heat behind she's poison ivy like and she's like an eco-terrorist you got Brian Tyree Brian Tyree or Brian Henry Henry Tyree Brian Tyree
Starting point is 00:50:28 Brian Tyree? He's in there so I was like is he dent which is an interesting choice that's I don't know yeah and Zaz was never Zaz was okay here's the thing where I don't see him as Zaz it was never a big character he's like a C list there's not much to him other than he's a serial killer that carves the victim's numbers into his body. He was never smart.
Starting point is 00:50:53 I would not call Zaz C-list. You wouldn't? No. I disagree. Who are you calling B-list? B-list? For villains. Who's a B-list villain?
Starting point is 00:51:08 Manbat. You think man-bat is a bigger villain than Victor Zaz? Oh, yeah. 100%. I think Clayface is, and I'm talking in level of... You think Clayface is B list? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Yeah. How many people are in your A list? It's a smaller number, but like, okay. Like, are there more than five people in your A list? Let's see. Penguin, Ridler, Two-Face, Joker, Catwoman. I'd argue Roz has moved from B to A. Hush is jumping up there.
Starting point is 00:51:47 We should do a big list one day. Yeah, I'd say like, and my B list are like right there, but B list are like, like, there's a reason we've never had a man bet in movies. I hear what you're saying. It's just coming up now. And there's a reason why we're getting 15 riddlers. Are you not putting Bain?
Starting point is 00:52:05 Are you not putting Bain is A, Bain is A, Bain is A, 100% Bain is A. Bain is even pushed even further. I hear what you're saying. I don't disagree with you necessarily. I just think that... Zaz is seal as he is. Maybe because he's been so pop culture heavy for the last 10 years on TV and in movies. Because he's in...
Starting point is 00:52:25 Not in movies. Well, he was... You just named the movie. Victor Sats. He was the villain in a... No, that was Black Mask. No. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:52:39 Harley Quinn. The movie Harley Quinn? Oh, yeah. What did we just see him in? Batman Begins. He was in Batman Begins and it was a throwaway cameo. I don't remember him in any other. He was big on Gotham.
Starting point is 00:52:51 Yeah, he was big on Gotham. I love that actor. I forget Anthony care something. He's so fffing good. He was on Gotham. But like I don't, Zaz is like, there's not really much too much. But again, go ahead. I thought that Zaz was, I haven't seen it in a long time.
Starting point is 00:53:11 But I thought that he was in birds of prey. He is in Bert to Fry. He was like his black mask's right hand man. Oh, oh, Jesus. Christmasina. Christmasina, that's right, buddy. I was going to say, I thought that. But like, there you go.
Starting point is 00:53:24 You've got a, you've got a. And again, he wasn't, I don't think he was bald in that. And I don't think he ever really dealt with the cuts. I think he was just his head, his hedgeman. I'm just saying the more, like, the fact that we saw him on a TV show and a movie recently is why I feel. I get what you're saying. I get what you're saying. I don't, you calling him C-List is not crazy. But, but that could be Rat Reeves going, you know what?
Starting point is 00:53:50 No one's really done this take on him. I've got a take on him. But then again, his first villain was the Riddler. Christian can never pronounce Victor's name right. So I think he's C-Lis says, Doug Boyland. What does he call him? Victor. I've never heard of. I've never heard of him.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Oh, Zazz. He probably had a hard time saying. Yeah. I mean, I like the character. and it fits Reeves' world. But then again, Poison Ivy is rumored, and I don't know, I don't see that fitting. I know they will make it fit, but I don't know.
Starting point is 00:54:22 I mean, I don't know. Let's keep going with the super chat. I am too fly a cam, brand new day, 2.555.0 billion, doomsday, 2.350 billion. Yeah, that's fair. I mean, I hope that goes true, because I want my prediction to win. Okay. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:54:41 I don't see it. two, but I could be wrong. All right. Seattle, K.O. Mike, can you reenact the DMs as Mr. Cook? Can I reenact the DMs as Mr. Cook? As in like, say what they are? Just do one.
Starting point is 00:55:01 What is that? What is fucking yes? Do one. Do one. You won't. I'm trying to think. What am I supposed to be? Happy birthday. As Mr. Cook? Like, I don't know what you're asking me, though. Like, happy, like, I don't understand how I'm supposed to read my tweet and my DM to her and Mr. Cook. You know exactly what you're asking.
Starting point is 00:55:25 I don't know. I'm being honest with you, Roxy. What is being asked to me? Yes. As Mr. Cook. We'll wait. Yes. Oh, thank you, sweetheart.
Starting point is 00:55:41 That is so incredibly sweet of you. Thank you for thinking of me. Wait, did she say that or you said that? She said that to me. Yeah, that's okay. Okay. Yeah, I said, happy birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day surrounded by a lot of love.
Starting point is 00:55:55 You know, Alan's, she was a wonderful person that took time of harder day to meet me. It's, I think, it's, I'm not sitting there going, hey,
Starting point is 00:56:06 I love that scene you did. Can you send me some behind the scenes picks? Mike, if I ever saw you, I would love to put your shit out of you. Holy shit. I'm not doing that. I'm being,
Starting point is 00:56:16 was that a sound bite that just said, holy shit. Like, no one made you just say that. You know that, right? But that's what you're all going for. You're like, no, who? Like, I know when you say, the term when you slide in someone's DMs is always a, like, Roxy, how many dudes slide into your DMs all the time?
Starting point is 00:56:38 A lot. Exactly. Shannon, when she did those brand armies, she's like, yeah, some of the DMs, the guy sliding in there, yeah. So that I say, yes, we DM each other. I know what people are thinking, but it's very professional. I it's you know it is what it is a titty shake from the ladies look at these knockers
Starting point is 00:57:03 I put up with a lot with you okay I hate being clean shaven I saw those clips with the beard and I hate being clean shaven well how come you're clean shaven I got to do a job at work today that I got to be clean shaven for I think it looks good both ways legit you I do need a haircut. I apologize for my hair. It's very long and big,
Starting point is 00:57:30 so I had to mat it down. I hate it right now. So I needed a haircut for like two weeks, but I haven't been able to go on. So I'm working with what I got here. Anyway, Alan Smithy, sorry, Mike,
Starting point is 00:57:41 this is all my fault. I had no idea they'd play the clip this many times. I owe you one. Also, hi, Roxy. Were you the one who found Mr. Cook? Clearly. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:57:49 Mike, he brought up on my YouTube. He brought up in DM, and so I went to quickly look for it while the show was on, and I just DMed Alan real quick. He said, where'd you get that? Provided me a link pretty quickly. Kind man.
Starting point is 00:58:01 Kind man. Gregory dopture. Doptrue. Dop true. Dop true. Roxy, Mike. Let's fucking go. Love your professionalism with Boss H.
Starting point is 00:58:16 Harloff. You think we're professional with him? I appreciate that. I love him. Professional. Marloff? Yeah. Oh, babe.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Be. Get el be bag a guy are you do you need me to serenemis? I love that picture of Harloff. Bobby I. Oh, baby, hold on. What did you say? El baby, baby,
Starting point is 00:58:40 Gaga. Oh, El baby, bag, guy, guy. When I was with my sister on the East Coast, we were trying to order something.
Starting point is 00:58:55 I was like, yeah, I just need to. ask if they're because you know I'm allergic to cheese. I just need to ask if there's any cheese. I just need to ask if there's any cheese and the granola. And she was like, what's granola?
Starting point is 00:59:10 Oh, really granola. Granola? Grinola? Can you not read the word granola? I was like, oh, then there's no cheese in it. She was like, oh my God. You order granola in a restaurant? Grano la
Starting point is 00:59:28 cheese in the granola Where did you ask that? Who were you out with? At a pizza place And what pizza place has granola at it? This appetizer at this like upscale pizza place Oh fuck off Is it an LA place?
Starting point is 00:59:50 Oh you're in Boston Oh fuck off I can't stand foo food restaurants I can't stand shit like that No pizza was actually amazing but it shouldn't have granola anywhere in a pizza parlor no the pizza this was an appetizer it was like a seasonal appetizer that was with seasonal appetizer okay that's your issue and your issue isn't with the granola then i'm okay no it's it's with the foo fu fu-fi restaurants and shit and seasonal appetizers you've got your artisanal seasonal appetizers with your granola here at shay bric-a-brac oh christ I'm just an old bastard
Starting point is 01:00:31 I'm just an old crudgeoning Oh, Baba Yaga, now that we all know You're actually glad you like the Oh, Resident Evil franchise I'm loving it, I'm watching it for Reject right now I love this franchise They're not bad, just nothing like the games But I didn't play them
Starting point is 01:00:45 Which is why I get so much backlash Alice isn't in the game at all. I love her. Did you watch the Resident Evil movies? I saw like, how far into them are you? There's one they go to go ahead. They haven't seen me see this,
Starting point is 01:01:01 but I've seen one, two, three, and four so far. Which one are they in the desert in Vegas? Three. Okay, I think that was where I stopped. I think that's three. You guys tell me about them.
Starting point is 01:01:12 I think that's the last one I saw. Okay, pull it up, PLD, IM2 flag cam. Did you both watch Asoka season one, excited for season two? The one live action Star Wars thing I've never seen. Yeah, so, yeah, we watched it back
Starting point is 01:01:26 when Harloff and I and Steph had Sith Council. It was a little too insider baseball for me because I didn't watch I think it's Clone Wars that you needed to, or Rebels. Rebels. Yeah, it was too insider baseball for me.
Starting point is 01:01:42 And I will say this, it bothered me how much the volume was used because you could tell. We're kind of low in super chats right now. Are the people not loving us like they usually do? Probably not. I think that's why I didn't want to jinx myself when they said that I won last week.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Did you? I did. Yeah. Mr. Cook won, apparently. I can't believe you won last week without me. I have still not won in this new era. We went pretty hard last week. It was a crazy week.
Starting point is 01:02:11 We had some really, really great. Who'd you do it with? Just me and Harleff. And we didn't, and we didn't devolve into any kind of shit that Harleff and I usually devolve into. It was just a good episode. It's just a good episode. And I think just the people were there.
Starting point is 01:02:27 Yeah. But probably people didn't know it was just going to be you and I today. That's usually a great thing. Jay Mobile liked lanterns a lot. However, the fact that these characters live in the same world is soups is very jarring to me. Really? I'll say this. I think this movie or the DCU is going to be a lot like brand new day in the sense that the punisher that was in brand new day, that was not the punisher we've seen before.
Starting point is 01:02:55 Like he was Frank Castle, he was John Bernthal. But like when he put the spidey outfit on and he was waving, like you wouldn't see that in one last shot or whatever that other one shot was. Like I think when the character show up, I think one shot, one opportunity. Yeah. I think the big tell will be when Guy Gardner shows up and to see,
Starting point is 01:03:13 because we've seen him what he looks like in Superman's real. You know? I think three or four, episode three or four. Okay. So, yeah. PLD,
Starting point is 01:03:24 let's roll, baby. Maddie, Roxy looking tan and fat. Am I looking pale? Not from where I'm sitting. My arms are dark. Look how dark my arms are. I got to keep the face young.
Starting point is 01:03:41 I got to keep it. I got to moisturize and keep sunscreen and wear a hat when I got to the sun. I got to keep it. Now, be the average age of male corn star is currently 24 years old. I don't get that. I have never, I'm not attracted to people that, the younglings. Trending younger over the decades, dropping from the average of 29 during the 70s. That's interesting.
Starting point is 01:03:59 You got statistics and everything there. So clearly I'm out of the league. I'm out of the game. I really don't get that. I just, and this is not, I'm not trying to offend anybody in this that is young. I know we have a lot of young viewers. One day you'll be older and I'd be attracted to you. But 24-year-olds look like children to be, both men and women.
Starting point is 01:04:18 They look like children. You know the saying, Roxy. Young, dumb, and full of calm. Mike Joyce said, oh, Brammy had a good birthday. What a transition. Here's the 99 more. Pretty amazing. Yeah, she went for oysters.
Starting point is 01:04:44 I took her for caviar. Really? Advitz Sharma. You guys watch Ramayana's trailer. Sorry that I butcher everybody's name today. I didn't see the Ramayana trailer, but everybody is talking about it. Did you see this? I didn't.
Starting point is 01:05:03 I don't even know what that is. That's a big movie. A big movie? Indian movie, I think. Mike Joyce, Rocky, check on your boy Jeff Snyder. He's crashing out because Sebastian Stan said he's playing Harvey Dent and not Victor Zazz, as Snyder claims.
Starting point is 01:05:21 I already texted him. Listen, I am not my brother's keeper. I love that man. Everyone knows it, but I am not his keeper. And I think we are in the age of this and I can't stand it. because, I don't know, six, seven months ago, a year ago, Chris Evans was like, I am not in Doomsday.
Starting point is 01:05:42 I wish I could join the crew. It looks like so much fun, but I'm not in it. First trailer. Oh, here I am. Like, it's, it's, he could be flat out lying. Yes, that's a lie, but it's different than claiming you are a different character.
Starting point is 01:05:57 That's like kind of a wild lie. But also, I don't know what the tone was. We're reading it. Right. And, and there is a, could be lost in translation there. I mean, no, no. Go, pal.
Starting point is 01:06:10 What's up, folks? I went on vacation and missed most of the last week. Welcome back. Welcome back. Welcome back. And then he gifted 10 memberships. You rock, go pal. Armada.
Starting point is 01:06:26 Can Mike do a Tuscan Raider chant? Chant? I don't know. They chanted. They got their little gaffy sticks up. Thank you. something in that super chat for this moment. I like how I'm just the fucking parrot on this show.
Starting point is 01:06:48 I'm the, Hey, do this, Mike, do this. Do this. Try this. Do this. Petty Barber figured out how to use letterbox. Oh, Pampered Penny is her username. You too should figure out how to use it as well. It's pretty handy. I don't love it.
Starting point is 01:07:02 I tried letterbox back during the Shmodeown days and I just couldn't get into it. I didn't understand it. Mungay fist first. Mungay first. 20 Jules. Geez. Don Bistove, Jay. Ten Jules.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Heidi. Yeah. Frank, can someone explain how tracking this early can be accurate? I don't see Doomsday making $2 billion without IMAX. Good question. Yes, Mike and I should have explained this. I've talked to other people, too. And we've talked in the show, like, I don't understand box office tracking because a week before Supergirl released or two weeks,
Starting point is 01:07:44 that was tracking. it's $60 to $75 million. I think it's just based on pre-sales and what then where do the money go? Where does it go if you're guessing that? Where does it go? Let me just answer. I think that it's based on pre-sales and what movies that have similar pre-sales have ended up performing at ultimately in the future.
Starting point is 01:08:08 I think that that's how it works. I don't know. That seems asinine. And clearly it's often inaccurate. but I think that that's what the tracking is. You can't compare cast. Even if the movie's similar, it's the different cast. That seems ridiculous to me.
Starting point is 01:08:25 That's my best attempt, Frank. But Roxy and I are not The people to talk box office. No, it's stuck today. Jesus. It came out with so harsh. Fuck off. Go off.
Starting point is 01:08:42 That was a pretty good Brian Cox. Oh, fuck off. What do you mean? It was Brian Cox. It was Brian Cox. I just did it too. Oh, fuck off. You're complimenting yourself.
Starting point is 01:08:53 Sergio, five jewels treat. Thanks, Sergio. Smear, 500 Jules, watermelon sugar. Ha. Grand Master. What are the jewels? I don't get this. Is this a young kids thing?
Starting point is 01:09:06 No, I don't know either. But I appreciate it because it's money. Grand Master Chota. Hmm. Fox, what I got to do to get, Facebook on Instagram Like how to link them I'm 2907
Starting point is 01:09:23 That sounds like young kids lingo I don't know it I don't know I'm too old to understand what you just said I think he's trying to connect with you on Facebook or Instagram Because he's 29 he's not a youngan Oh I think that's what's going on here I'm so bad let me tell you what Anybody who's ever slid in my DMs knows this If you write something nice
Starting point is 01:09:47 to me in my DM. So I never respond to any DMs ever, unless I know I've met a person in person. So I never respond to DMs. You're muted. I don't know what you said, but I could see you moving. I just said that's good. I said that's good.
Starting point is 01:10:04 It all started back in the day when I was at Screen Junkies, and I was not responding to people's DMs because that is not a good business practice. I'll just say, leave it at that, but we were not supposed to. We were not supposed to. It's so long ago. I was like, oh, oh. So, and I stayed implementing it because I do believe that it's just not any, I'm happy to have conversations with anybody who follows me publicly. Like, I will respond back.
Starting point is 01:10:40 If you write on my post, I will respond back. But I don't need to be having conversations behind. closed doors with anybody I don't know. The only times I do respond to DMs is publicly. So if somebody writes me something very sweet and their profile is public, not private, I will go back on their page and write to them publicly, thank you so much for the beautiful words or something. I won't say what they said, but I'll just let them know that I read it because I want
Starting point is 01:11:07 people to know I read it. But if it's not public, then I can't, then I don't. So that's my answer to that. Mr. Sin 69. Hi, Roxy. Mike. Has there ever been a show that went for one season you loved but was never renewed? Loving the Cheegex has an evil reaction.
Starting point is 01:11:25 Thank you so much. There's been a lot. I loved that show. I loved the reboot of V. I loved friends from college. I think that that maybe got two and then was canceled. I loved. I know a lot of people's answer is Firefly.
Starting point is 01:11:46 I didn't watch Firefly. I love Freaks and Geeks. Shout out to our friend Sam Levine. Sammy. Do you have one? Yeah, I loved, there's a show called Agent X. It's kind of like a spy show. And then a show called Treadstone.
Starting point is 01:12:01 That was kind of in the Born films that both recently got one season. Treadstone was, yeah, both of them were really good, good shows. Huh. Oh, okay. Galaxy Geeks. If Swamp Thing has a tone like. the Batman, how will DCU Batman stand apart and not just feel redundant? I don't think, um, what does that have to do with Swamp Thing?
Starting point is 01:12:24 Yeah, I don't know. I guess because Swamp Thing is one of the things that Gunn had said was in the pipeline. Yeah, but even if Swamp Thing does have a tone like the Batman, how does that affect DCU's Batman? I don't think it would, man. I, I get what you're saying because that Swamp Thing would then interact with this Batman and um there's a lot of questions i know there's a lot of questions and i don't think i think right now dc in general guys my feeling is they're not a lot announcing some things because the merger i think they're kind of in a holding pattern right now with like i think they know who their wonder woman is i think they know who their batman is i just don't think those are going to get announced till i don't know i don't know but i adria erona i think that
Starting point is 01:13:10 as well. Yeah, and Adri Arona is definitely. I think she's one, Robin. I think it's the two of them. I think with a character, with an actress like hers on the rise, you don't cast her as maxima. That will be a one. Oh, he said, sorry, Luke, um, message just privately and said, I meant clay face. Oh, okay. I got you. That makes more sense. Okay. I was like, what does I have to do, swamping? Now I understand totally. Sorry, Luke. We should have. I think, I think guys, what you have to take into effect is kind of look at. lanterns like it's and Marvel's doing it well I think with
Starting point is 01:13:45 Punisher and Brand New Day when you had Daredevil popping up in Sheealk but then Daredevil in brand new day or in his Born Again show they're the same it's still Charlie Cox still being daredevil but they just fit the tone of what they're in like his Daredevil and Shehawk was much more fun and flippant and I also think it'd be weird to do a clay face that didn't have a tone like the Batman like what are we going to do
Starting point is 01:14:07 a goofy Clayface? I mean we kind of I mean, look at Harley Quinn, his version there, which is like... And in creature, yeah, yeah, in Harley Quinn, the animated series, it's just like... He wasn't, but you're right, he was in Creature Commandos for that. And he's a little bit goofy at times. Yeah. I like this tone that they're going with. Yeah, you just kind of kind of wait and see.
Starting point is 01:14:28 I don't have an answer for that. Samir 10 Jules, ha-pooh. Samir, five Jules, three. Samir, two jewels, Silver Star. to me, I don't understand any of this. It's literally Mandarin to me right now. Nathan Drake, Zaz is definitely a C-list. Even though Archivoreen shows up for a little side mission,
Starting point is 01:14:50 Mike, what about Professor Pig or Mad Hatter? I love Professor Pig so much. I'd say Matt Hatter is definitely B-list. Professor Pig? It all would take it in one movie as a lead villain and then Professor Pig is. definitely be list. Right now, I would say most people don't know who Professor Pig is. No, not even like, yeah, he, he's almost C-List at this point. But like I get, it's tough. It's tough.
Starting point is 01:15:20 What's tough? Just saying it like, because I know if you read the comics and you follow it, like Professor Pig is much more popular, but I'm just like it's in the general world of Batman and the world like where they stand. He's, he's down there. But could be huge. Other than on Gotham. Yeah. Have we. ever had a live action Mad Hatter? No. Because I don't feel like Matt Hatter being... No, he wasn't even in the 60s cartoon. He was called Bookworm. Or maybe the Matt Hatter was.
Starting point is 01:15:49 I would put Matt Hatter as C-list. Just because... Okay. I mean, I would... I mean, you're talking about comic book villains and how they are in the comics. And I'm talking about like in pop culture. No, no. I'm saying in all, in reason,
Starting point is 01:16:02 I would put Matt Hatter at B-list is because of his popularity in Batman the animated series. he was so big in that and so good in it like Batman the anime series that is to me like the litmus test of of of the zeitgeist of Batman because everyone even if you didn't grow up with it you watched it now and you it still holds up and but what do I know what do I know ultima Josh a thousand jewels corgi like explain it what do I explain yeah did you come here to explain that I was going to explain a little bit I don't know all of it, but basically the idea is they can pre-purchase Superchat like money. It's like basically they buy these jewels and they can spread them out as they see.
Starting point is 01:16:50 What's the like Sparkle, Corgi? The chat, like a little emoji thing or a little flash animation thing will kind of light up real quick. You don't see on stream yard, obviously. I see what you're saying. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha, got you. Okay. We've outrun our super chats, which I don't think has ever happened to you and me, Mike. True.
Starting point is 01:17:09 Should we get the fuck out of here? What do you mean? Outrun them? We could get the hell out here if you want to stay for a little bit longer. No, I obviously do want to stay for a little longer, but we're not allowed to. They say we're cheating the system if we stay when we're not getting it. You've heard Christian's always like, don't. I don't agree with that.
Starting point is 01:17:22 I think if the show is supposed to do, is the show marketed as a two-hour show? What marketing budget do you believe we have? Like I'm just saying, like, hey, tune in. Tune in, hey, on the Harlop, we got the big thing. It's a two-hour show. Remember, it's not even the name of our show anymore. dude the christian harlap show yeah hey monday through friday at nine a m nine to eleven that's when it's going to be is that what it said tune in at the time said where i don't know i'm just asking
Starting point is 01:17:53 on the billboards on youtube on the channel on oh i don't know i don't know i would jump in say it's not marketed that way because it's not marketed at all in any way of length but if you stayed until, you know, 2 o'clock Eastern, wherever it is now, that's perfectly fine and not cheating. We have more stream labs running through, and we will stay as long as we get them, and we will leave when we stop. What the fuck do I know? I don't know shit.
Starting point is 01:18:24 You have run out, but we got a couple more coming in now, so I'll get back. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, PLD. All right, I'm on it. No is far. I'm a little bitchy. Aeoshi, 30 Jules flower. Now we know what that means. Mike Joyce, hope you two's dogs.
Starting point is 01:18:44 Hope you two's dogs are doing okay in the summer heat. Oh, maybe us too? Yeah, my guys are good. No, my dogs. They're good. Get the air conditioning at the fans. You run both A.C. and fans at the same time? Well, sometimes.
Starting point is 01:19:01 Sure. Hot take. I hate a fan. What's wrong with that? No, I just hate a fan. I don't like anything blowing on me. I don't like a fan blowing in my face. Yeah, I hate that.
Starting point is 01:19:13 I hate it. Like we have a suit, one of the suits that I perform in at work, and there's three fans. There's like two behind me and one in the front. And I never, no matter how to turn this front one on. I just don't want it in my, and especially if I'm trying to sleep, a fan blowing in my face.
Starting point is 01:19:28 Oh, no. Nightmare. Not on my face, but like on my side coming up through the covers. Oh, God, yeah. That's fine. On my face? No. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:37 Armada. Sean Connery. in the untouchables. That's the Sicilian way. PLD, nope. Grand Master Chota, PLD, have you seen the Iron Studios Obi-Wan statue?
Starting point is 01:19:51 Dude, it's so nice. Might have to drop a bag on it. Is that $100? No, that's a band. What's a bag? You collected these Star Wars stuff? What about you, Micah Rocks? PLD, you want to answer the first?
Starting point is 01:20:06 I'll answer the first, yes. I have seen it. It is a beautiful thing. I don't actually collect much as far as Star Wars things go, more media, books, comics, that kind of thing. If I can read it, story-wise, I'll do that, but I don't collect a lot of statues here. I have a few that I've been given over the years, but they're nice.
Starting point is 01:20:19 Like looking around to see, and like, I have a lot of Star Wars clothes. Me too, actually. Not that's a collection, but I do have a lot of Star Wars clothes. Star Wars things. I'm trying to think if I had to go grab a Star Wars thing in my place right now, would I even be able to do that? Would you, Mike? Grab a Star Wars thing?
Starting point is 01:20:43 No, I don't. I'm looking at my desk. I should send a picture of my desk one day because the amount of stuff I have on it is crazy, but no Star Wars. Marvel, DC, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Spider-Man. No. Do you know what the He-Man Woman Haters Club is?
Starting point is 01:21:02 Is there a He-Man Woman Haters Club? What is it? Yeah, for Club and Little Rascals. Oh, okay. Yeah, good point. And every time you guys say he man, that's what I think of. O-Tay. A man woman haters club.
Starting point is 01:21:19 O-Tay. O-Tay. Quick, what's the number for 911? I don't know. I've seen that movie a lot. Mike Joyce, have you two visited Steph's kid yet? I have not. I had been, so she was gone for a minute, and then I was gone for a minute.
Starting point is 01:21:37 And then yesterday, she texted me asking if I would go on a walk to meet. but it was Grammy's birthday. So hopefully this week, we face time to... You haven't met her yet? Wow. Okay, I don't feel bad then. I have asked 800 times. Oh, okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:21:57 So I think that, you know, every mom's different. And I think that she, like, some parents want like kind of that the first month or two to be more just them. It's not like I haven't met her and she has met 15. of our friends. Yeah. So, but I will. And we face time. We've been on the phone a lot.
Starting point is 01:22:19 We text every day. And I'm so excited. She sends me pictures every single day. But yeah, I've been gone twice. And then also like after the plane, I don't know that she's comfortable with me going there, like after a flown. Yeah. Anyway.
Starting point is 01:22:33 I mean, there's always this. I love snatch. Always. It takes you long time to find that. I did. couldn't find it. It was like, where the fuck is this clip? Armada, what are y'all's thoughts on the Godfather films? Def can see Mike doing a veto Corleone.
Starting point is 01:22:51 It's interesting. So, good friend of the show, good friend of mine, Mr. Sam Levine, and my best friend, those are their favorite movies. I don't think I've seen any one of them all the way through. I know, Rox. I know. Why don't you? You should do them Christian. We've talked about this, Rox. We've talked like there are movies.
Starting point is 01:23:11 There's movies that you've done or movies that you'd, be like, man, people would be crazy surprised to find out what you haven't watched. There are a lot of, I tried to keep that quiet during the Shmowdown because, you know, that people would pick slices and stuff. I just think you'd like them. I think you'd really like them. Yeah, I'll tell you this. I love watching those movies or talking about them with people like Sam Levine and my best friend
Starting point is 01:23:32 because they're so into them. It's like me watching them talking to me about a Batman movie or something. I, like, I would love to watch it with like Sam. Why don't you do it for Christian's channel? He never asked me to do it. to do any watchalongs. But why? There's, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:23:48 That feels like it would be so up your alley. You would have great reactions. That's, yeah. He's leaving money on the table. I was just going to say that. We think of like rocks. We really do sometimes. Wait, what was the thing that you said you would tell us about?
Starting point is 01:24:08 Oh. The girl in the clip. I mean, I don't know. Do we, have we earned it? We're at 42. That's weak. We're 42. Yeah, it is very weak.
Starting point is 01:24:17 If we get to 50, if we get eight more. Yeah, if you 50, 50, because we got a, it's only 10.30. If we get to like 50, I feel like it should be like 75, but I want to hear the story really badly. So I'm giving a low numbers. But again, numbers don't really mean anything like the mountain. It's crazy. This new system it is. Yeah, so how did you win?
Starting point is 01:24:38 I don't know. I don't know. It wasn't like, I've always, because I've always talked, you know, for the longest. time I was the only guy that hadn't won. And I just, with Roka had the most. He's got like five or six wins. And I was like,
Starting point is 01:24:49 well, Roka. No, I haven't won. You've won once with Steph. It was the two of you together. On the new system? Yeah. She hasn't been here. It was like right before she left.
Starting point is 01:25:01 And we had already started the new system? Yeah. Because we have the text thread of the group. That old one when Steph was in it. It was like, she won one by herself and then you two won one together. You guys like won like the first week. Huh.
Starting point is 01:25:12 but I was like well Roka has his whole channel himself and he does bring in a lot of like scoops and news I go okay on Mondays does Roka just have a bigger audience because of they know it's the weekend it's a Monday and a lot of news drops and Harleff said some sometimes but it doesn't really because Chris and Winston will win on a Friday but I don't have an answer why what happened on Tuesday last week I didn't do anything like hey if we hit this I'll do this I don't think it's fair to really do anymore, you know, because I understand the system. Support. Go DJ. I understand the system 100% in it, but I also can't feel like I solicit money for just doing stupid shit for people. But like in a bad,
Starting point is 01:25:59 I don't mean that in negative. I mean that like in support of our listeners and viewers. I'll tell you guys something. But I got a funny ass fucking story for you. So. All right. Well, let's get a few more. Maybe we'll get to it.
Starting point is 01:26:10 Hold on. Yeah. Go ahead. I'm going to be live on my channel tonight at 8 o'clock. Just letting the people know. Yeah. Plug myself. You're live every night, though, aren't you? I haven't been live in three months. And I went live last night.
Starting point is 01:26:29 Yeah. Okay. Depression's a hell of a drug. Armada. You hear Roka announced Shmodan Torni might happen if Christian Harlowff Kickstarter does well. Mike, you're going to hop back in the ring? Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:26:43 Wait a second. Wait a fucking second on this. This is, that's, Harlop ain't going to go and start filming a pilot and then bring the Schmo down back. He has said if his Kickstarter hits his goal within two days, then he'll do a 16-man Schmodeon tournament. It hits it. Within three days, he'll do it eight-man tournament.
Starting point is 01:27:02 If he does it within like three or four days, there's something else. I can't remember exactly how. It hasn't really laid it all completely out. How could it hit it in two days? isn't it a month-long goal? Right. But if it hits the goal, like, in two days.
Starting point is 01:27:14 So he's making it, like, next to impossible. Pretty close to it. But, yeah, he's holding it to do 16-man journey. We were talking about yesterday. That's cool. He would be there who would be on. And we were thinking of Mike would jump back or not. So who were the people?
Starting point is 01:27:27 There's nobody, nobody's fit. Actually, Christian asked the crowd who they'd want to see. And there's a lot of people, it's like a lot of the old standby. Just Dan, John, Mike. If we can get some kind of IG thing, maybe Kev. What about girls? girls. Of course, they want Janine. They want Rachel Cushing. They'd like them. See, Rachel. I'm trying to talk about some of the new girl as well.
Starting point is 01:27:45 Clark Wolf was one they mentioned. Who did you just say before Clark? Lori Jean. She was a new one for the last season. Wow, why don't I remember who that is? She only had like two matches. Like the last season, she was up and coming stars. She would have been she was really good, but she didn't get a chance to really get to show herself before we got canceled. But there's a couple people like Patriots versus Action Patriots versus Chazam. Patriots for like Patriots everybody, basically. Roka and Dan as well. He's thrown it all out there and he wants to see who would come back and I don't know.
Starting point is 01:28:14 I told him I do have a lot of questions already written since we didn't use them all by the end of the season. So I could. Mike for three minutes has just been making noises. I just. He's going. Like are you a nom vet? A non-vette? A non-vot?
Starting point is 01:28:39 I'm having PTSD. I'm fucking have a PTSD right now. I'm having fucking PTSD. God, almighty. Roxy, you don't understand. I haven't watched movies
Starting point is 01:28:50 like in a Shmodan setting for five years. I stopped. I don't do that. And PLD is like, I got a list of question. I'm like, oh, my fucking God.
Starting point is 01:28:59 For three minutes, this is what you just said with. Oh, God. No. And that was broken yesterday, too. You don't know what it's like,
Starting point is 01:29:07 Roxy. I know you, you're a manager, but you can be it's different. Because here's the one thing. And I've always said this. I would 100% do the Shmodon again if they brought it. Like Carlisd gets his wish of $2 million in a budget, but I would want it scripted.
Starting point is 01:29:24 I would want the outcome scripted. I would want to know you're going to lose this match. You're going to win this match. You're going to win this match. You're going to lose this match. And make it like a true wrestling show. I would act the shit out of it. But I just.
Starting point is 01:29:37 But I don't think people would watch trivia like wrestling. It's tough. It's tough because, but people don't understand the mentality of it, of what it takes out of you. Are you happy and over? And to say, it's tough because, Roxy, I still, to this day, I meet people all the time that come up to me. I mean, I had a guy I was doing the Raptor handler thing at Universal the other day. I'm on microphone talking to a dinosaur. And a guy comes up, take a picture's family.
Starting point is 01:30:08 He leads me and he goes, hey, killer, good to see you. And I was just like, my face. slid up. I'm like, oh my God. So then I will take a moment to kind of put my microphone down. I was like, thank you so much for watching us. And I've had people from Turkey come up to me in Germany because I worked at a theme park. So I have people all over the world that come and see me, like, not see me, but I love it. I love the people. I love the camaraderie. But it is hard when you're competitive to kind of, and especially when you're competitive and you're not friends with
Starting point is 01:30:38 the people before, like Roke and I would go at each other. And it's tough. But we've known each other for 20 years. So five, 10 minutes later, we're good. But if you don't know these people that you're going at and it's tough, it's tough. I loved it. But I don't know. I don't know. What do you have for lunch today?
Starting point is 01:30:57 What am I going to have for lunch? Yeah. Protein shake. That's your whole lunch? One of them. I do like three or four lunches. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:08 I have like three or four lunches. I eat like every two hours. Huh. What? That's, you know, I'll have like, okay, I've got my lunch made. I've got chicken and broccoli, ground beef and rice, and then like some kind of chicken pasta. Those are like the three lunches I'll eat when I'm at work.
Starting point is 01:31:31 Derek Johnson, I need some verification on if Roxy has won or not, please. As a manager, yeah, I won a lot. You did. As a competitor, I've never played because I would be horrible. He might be asking about the weekly competition. Oh, yeah, Rock's won. He said, Mike says that Stefan I got the list. Hold on. I got the list. Let me pull it up. Christian said that as well. Cren said that Mike was the only one who hadn't won at least one.
Starting point is 01:31:55 Trust me. I know. So I won one time three months ago with Steph. Okay. That's what I've been told. I don't remember either to balance it. This is what I have. I got to change it because I put, I got to put myself in there. But I don't know if you could see it. It just must have been in, in May. Because it was like the week after you won with Steph.
Starting point is 01:32:18 I'm sorry. For June, July, I have no bonuses. So, which is hard. So then it was the end of May, wasn't it?
Starting point is 01:32:29 Or maybe the first week of June? I guess you're telling me. So you're telling me. I don't know. Well, you did. Mike, Mike,
Starting point is 01:32:36 if Penny surprised you at work, how would you react? I would say, oh my gosh, it's so nice to meet you in person. And I'd say, thank you so much for, joining us on the show and taking your time.
Starting point is 01:32:48 It was a great time. No, but how would I would definitely. Well, I would definitely. Well, I would definitely. I would definitely tell her what I wanted to say and what I thought of five minutes after our interview. I think she probably appreciate that. What was it?
Starting point is 01:33:03 You don't remember where she says, you need to call me mommy. And I would have said, well, I bet I'm probably older than you. So you've got to call me daddy. Oh, yeah, you even think about that one for a minute. I know. Armada on Perry's last FYC list was tempted to ask Mance if he likes the barber shop He won't have any idea
Starting point is 01:33:24 I don't even need a haircut Go pal You put one of ours in the hospital We put two of theirs in the morgue That's the Chicago way, not the Sicilian way Mike You put one of ours in the hospital Put two of yours in the morgue That's the Chicago way
Starting point is 01:33:40 He brings a knife, you bring a gun That's a good voice. Nathan Drake, large chested brunette or large chusted blondes. Mike hates blondes. Brunettes. This, Roxy, thank you. So people, when I first, I guess when YouTube and not YouTube and everything kind of, social media got a little bigger, I had a series of girls that I dated that were blonde, all these little all American blonde looking girls. And I was like, they're really not my type.
Starting point is 01:34:09 It's not my type. But people like, well, you've dated like three of them. well, I can't pick and choose who I fall for. It just happens. But there were like a succession of three or four little blonde American girls. And then my Latin flavor thing took over. And then that became that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:32 Roxy, you know what I do? I think I always think back to like what my type is and what started it. And I want to say probably when I grew up, Linda Carter is Wonder Woman. like as a little boy watching her like voluptuous dark-haired girl like that was me as a little boy that I didn't know anything but like affected what I liked later in life
Starting point is 01:34:56 Linda Carter still so beautiful oh she's fucking gorgeous Gregory Doppt True support for Mike and Roxy and Mike Chichich Bendale Rescue Rangers we just hit
Starting point is 01:35:12 50, so I want to hear the story. All right. So, that girl in that video, a girl that I had known for years, but I'd always had a crush on, but we never, we were always with other people. Let's play the video again. Oh, Christ.
Starting point is 01:35:27 I threw that at PLDQ. I'd rather stick a hot iron in my mouth than welcome that serial murderer into this colony. Besides, it's been so long since we've been to a party. I'm not exaggerating. You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook. I demand satisfaction. So anyway
Starting point is 01:35:51 Yeah she always had a boyfriend That woman always had a boyfriend Or I always had a girlfriend And so there was one We just got Both single at the same time And I was like I saw her at work And I was like would you like to go out
Starting point is 01:36:03 And she's like I would absolutely love to go out So we went out and it turned into a very Wonderful relationship And then we I always wanted to go to L.A. This is when I was in Florida And it got to the point I kept dragging my heels
Starting point is 01:36:16 I was just kind of scared you know and I'd been doing pretty well I had just booked like vampire diaries and stuff so I was doing really well here in Florida um and then she's like look I'm gonna go I want you to go with me but if you don't I understand but I'm going well still date but I've got to get out to L.A. And I said okay and that was kind of like my impetus and she pushed me kind of pushed me off the deep end to come L.A. Yeah. Did you live together? Yeah, we lived in. I'm living in the same place we live together.
Starting point is 01:36:45 Still here. Yeah. I've been in the same place for. 15 years now. I love my apartment. We broke up about two years after we moved here. And it was one of those things we both were kind of like, it was rough. And I didn't want to break up. I probably would have kept dating. But I think we both kind of realized we weren't for each other anymore. Why? I don't know. I just, I don't know. It just, I think we were in each other's lives to get us out to L.A. and we didn't talk for many years. And not in a bad way. just, you know, I went my way, she went her way. And then just three, but but also she knew a lot of my friends because we dated.
Starting point is 01:37:27 And so a good friend of mine, a couple, we were always do things together, but they got divorced in like 2018. So the two girls were still friends. And I was, you know, the guy was my best friend, but we never. So I knew she, what she was doing and, but we weren't friends on Facebook or Instagram. Everything. I think she's doing. So that other girl,
Starting point is 01:37:50 I'm sorry, so the couple, before they got divorced, became friends with me and Shannon. Because the couple, they were, so they met Shannon and became friends and we'd always go up, but then that couple got divorced.
Starting point is 01:38:01 Well, Shannon and the woman who was divorced, they were kind of, she met her when she met my friend. So it was like when they split, she didn't have to pick sides because she liked them both, but she'd go invited to hang out with the girl.
Starting point is 01:38:14 Well, that girl was a friend still with my aunt. So they were getting married. She's getting remarried. And there was like a shower. Who's getting remarried? You're right? No.
Starting point is 01:38:24 The couple that got divorced, my friends. Yeah. So she's getting remarried. It's friends with Betsy and Shannon. They both go to the bridal shower together. Together? Well, they meet. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:38 They meet. And they apparently, my, Shannon comes home. She's like, oh, my God, you're Shannon. I'm Betsy, Mike's ex-go-old. Oh, my God, Mike. They apparently fucking hit it off. They apparently sat at the whole table, and Betsy was like her best friend for the whole fucking thing.
Starting point is 01:38:57 Hey, you know what? We should all get, you and I should get to you. Let's get together for lunch sometimes. My ex-girlfriend wants to go to lunch with my girlfriend. When did this happen? This was probably like two years ago or so. Okay. And I go, I'm sorry, what?
Starting point is 01:39:15 she's like do you would you have a problem with this is like yeah i have that is my ex-girlfriend that kind of broke my heart even though it was many many years ago and you're my girlfriend that like what are you guys going to talk about what the fuck are you guys going to talk about she's like well and then they would invest and chance kind of like yeah i guess you're kind of right and but she was we were just she was just very friendly and she seemed very nice but she was very complimentary to me and she was very complimentary about you. And I was like, yeah, I'm okay. I'm not harboring any ill will towards her,
Starting point is 01:39:52 but still you're my girlfriend and that's my ex. And like, and then she's, and my ex is married now with a kid. And she was going to invite her out to like jog Runyon Canyon with her and a baby. I was just like, wait, what? What's going on here? So, but then.
Starting point is 01:40:11 And you blow it. I'm at work one day doing my raptor talking to my dinosaur and I look over and there's my ex with her baby. I'm just like, wait, what? And then, but we get along now. We don't talk all the time. And we had two dogs together and both dogs had passed. So over the past couple of years, we've talked on the phone and shared like pictures and how are you doing? How are you feeling?
Starting point is 01:40:34 And so we're good. Her and I are very good. We see each other every now and then and we're very good with each other. But it was just like, my girlfriend wants to go to lunch, my ex-cress. girlfriend. They're like, what the fuck is going on here? Anyway. I'm so team Mike on this one. Yeah, you should be. And Shannon, in my defense, she was not like, well, what if I want to go with?
Starting point is 01:40:53 She was just like a couple of these issues, like, yeah, you're, you're right. That would be weird. I'm surprised she even pitched it to you, honestly. Like, she pitched it more like she wanted to see my reaction. And because Betsy was the one that was really pushing it. Like, let's get together. Let's go out. Let's get together. I think that's weird, too, especially if she broke your heart. Leave me the fuck alone forever. But it's different rocks where she's married with the kid. I'm essentially married. Like, I would go out with her and her husband and me and Shannon on the double date that that ever came to.
Starting point is 01:41:23 It's like because it's 12 years ago and she's such an important person in my life that brought me where I am. That's how you feel. But rocks, like I would have never met Shannon if it wasn't for Betsy. I have an ex that I'm very close with that I love. And I went to his wedding and have met his baby. And, but we were never going to get married. Like, we didn't live together. Okay.
Starting point is 01:41:50 I mean, yeah, Shanna and I, Betsy and I talked about marriage. Yeah, I think if somebody breaks your heart. Time heals. Time heals all wounds. I'm, I'm very happy for her and she's happy for me. Yeah, no ill will at all. I just, like, my person then wanted to be friends. I see what you're saying.
Starting point is 01:42:07 No. Like, I get some people like, that's a. person you've been intimate with and we're now having dinner with. I was like, I have a problem. Like, I don't think of it like that, but I would understand if someone had an issue like that. But it was just like the fact that they wanted to go to death. I was like, what the fuck is going on here?
Starting point is 01:42:25 Interesting story. Mr. Sin, there was talk of new labyrinth film. Who would you pick as Goblin King? My pick Ricky Jervais, funny but dark. Can sing, work with Muppets. I've never seen. Oh, no, I did. I watched Labyrinth for.
Starting point is 01:42:40 Real retext. It's pretty fun. Oh, Ricky Jervase would be funny as hell. That would be, that's a really funny one. I'm not sure who my pick would be off the top of my head. Do you know? I don't know. Okay.
Starting point is 01:42:53 Ricky Jervis is a great one. Pat for president. Roxy, I hope your Grammy, oh, by the way, massive support. Thank you, Pat. Me taking seconds to clock thing. Hell yeah, Pat. Roxy, hope your Grammy had an amazing birthday. She looks amazing.
Starting point is 01:43:07 Looks like she will join the club that my great grandma was part of, the Centenarian Club. I have a great grandma. It was part of it too. My great grandma died in January 204, the age of 108. That's amazing. What a wait!
Starting point is 01:43:20 The Mike and Roxy Victory. Thank you for sharing that. Imagine the life you've lived at 108 or 99, like what you've seen. Yesterday I asked Grammy, like what's your advice for the people? And she said, I'm still trying to learn.
Starting point is 01:43:34 So cute. That's great. Yeah. So I have a lot to learn still. Aeoshi, Roxy, you and Tara are light in this world. Love you. Thank you so much. I love doing my reactions with Tara.
Starting point is 01:43:45 She's great. Go, pal. Mike, which of Charlie's Angels was your favorite? Ooh, don't answer. This is so weird because... The original? The original? It's so weird because it clearly should be...
Starting point is 01:43:56 I would... Here's the thing. I feel like your answer is Cameron Diaz, but she's blonde. Is it Lucy Lou? You're going for the new ones. That's not the new ones. Somewhat newer ones.
Starting point is 01:44:12 the mid ones. The 2000. Why, you think he means Farrah Fawcett? Yeah, I thought he meant that that group. Okay. But Lucy Lou.
Starting point is 01:44:20 It's Lucy Lou. Yeah. Lucy Lou is so much. Although there's not one in that, there's not one of those three that that was my go-to. Yeah, that's not your. No.
Starting point is 01:44:31 Drew Barrymore for life. Go about it. I've always been a Kate Jack. Oh, okay. See, he was talking about it. Okay. Okay. He's always been a cat.
Starting point is 01:44:37 I, so there's Kate Jackson, and Farah Fawcett. And I, I forget Jackson Smith So Jacqueline Smith would have been mine Okay
Starting point is 01:44:47 Yeah Big Bang Doom is the aura farmer final boss What's an aura farmer? Like someone that poses Like they've got the aura about them They're just a big poser Ryan Zaldana
Starting point is 01:45:02 Holy Yeah Shit Pat for president Damn pat Damn pat Damn pat But I was supposed to have close bonds with my grandmas and two of my great-grandma, my paternal grandma, my grammy.
Starting point is 01:45:16 Oh, you had a Grammy. Her mom and me were very close. I thought of us as three musketeers. I have very cute pickleball. Oh. Family pickle. That's so nice. Man, I have pictures around of everybody, too.
Starting point is 01:45:27 It's just like I have pictures of my mom scattered throughout everywhere because it's nice to walk by them. I appreciate you sharing that. Big Bang. What percentage does Doomsday have for three Billy? I don't think it's going to I don't think so I wouldn't be shocked but less than 50%
Starting point is 01:45:44 because I don't think it's going to do that I would say 20% so not not nothing but I'd say 10% Big Bang Leapace is Magneto please No dude he's already in the MCU
Starting point is 01:45:58 I've seen people say him I'm like no he's Ronan Ryan Saladanya My wife is now great friends my first girlfriend, kiss. Oh, your first girlfriend slash kiss. I thought that you meant that they kissed, which I was like,
Starting point is 01:46:15 oh, my, oh, my, oh, my. That was a pretty good impression. Yeah, it was. Oh, my God. Holy shit. Holy shit. Bing said, should Kate Aberrin be related to Luke Skywalker? Cade.
Starting point is 01:46:35 Sorry. It's Ryan Gossing's character in Starfight. No. Fuck no. Well, I think what they did he was in the first Starfighter movie. They should not be related, but then it should be revealed in the second Starfighter movie that they are related.
Starting point is 01:46:50 Was that a good joke? Star Wars. Ha-ha. Humor. Oh, mighty. President, a great grandma, the 108-year-old one, used to jokingly say all that good booze. I say it was passion for living life, moderation,
