Man oh man. Tons of DC stuff. Tons. What's going to go on with the DCU in general?
Creature Commandos is off to a start. That's right. So what does that mean?
Is it going to be a big, huge, monumental start for DC or they're going to be in trouble?
Well, we're going to talk about all that stuff because James Gunn, Frank Grillo, everybody's been talking about this.
and we got all fancy and stuff because we have the host of DC official after show.
He's going to bail on us eventually.
It's going to be too big for this show.
Hell, he didn't even promote us and all the stuff that he was the only show he didn't promote.
Fuck bastard.
We'll talk about that too.
He knows that it was going to talk about that.
Anyway, we have a lot to talk about today on the show.
I'm excited for it.
It's going to be myself, Winston A. Marshall, Coy, Gendro.
it is a Christian Hall of Show
capes and cows. Let's do it.
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen,
to the Christian Oliver show,
Capes and Cowell style today.
It is Friday.
It is the end of the week.
And joining me, as always,
hopefully unmuted,
are my two good friends,
both Winston A. Marshall,
Coy, Jondro.
Gentlemen, how the hell are you?
It's been a week, man.
It's been a week.
That is a nice way to put it.
Well, I'll tell you that.
Same. Look, I've, I've had a week where I just, I, I was obviously can tell my voice getting a little over a cold or whatever it would be.
But you and I haven't not the best of weeks, maybe.
This guy is having a hell of a good week.
So are you muted still?
No, no, I was just trying not to cut people off.
I, uh, yeah, I have been trying to keep this under wraps for so long.
And you guys knew about it recently, but, uh, it's real.
Like if you go on max, you go to like the penguin and creature.
mandos and me it's nuts um i'm like genuinely honored this feels like when i got to do hall h like
this is one of those like before and after moments and and i love dc comics and they're letting me
talk about the comics like they gave me a platform for comic books so i i couldn't be more flattered
and honored and i'm so excited yeah it's pretty great and i'm glad that you had the opportunity
to do it and that they saw it which is really smart of them because you're going to you're going to
elevate that show so i will put you on the spot why were we not promoted with the rest of your
So I only promoted three of the seven things.
Okay.
Because I wasn't thinking and I was just like off the dope.
This is what I do.
I have a podcast that I've promoted only in the last six months that I've had for four years.
Wentz to notice the close up.
So.
Winston, notice the close up I'm giving him.
So bad at promoting.
And I feel guilt.
And I actually talked about our show on that set,
which is ironic that I didn't talk about it in my video.
But yeah,
now I feel the heat.
I feel the judgment.
And I feel the guilt.
Well,
I also talked with Frank about,
you because you told me you're going to have frank on the show so uh i'm very good at off air
right right just not just when it when it when it helps most right that's what's that's going to get
when it when it counts and when it can be and it can be proven that you actually did it yeah yeah
right right right ask these people i had to quite tell you about it'd be great to the one individual
not to the masses i know what happened i know what happened you didn't have magic mind that's what
you know what and if i had this i would have thought to promote everything yeah i needed and this it was the
missing ingredient people are going to be excited today because this is only for today so for magic
mind we've got to tell you guys about magic mind magic mind is it's so great it's an energy it's not
one of these things that gives you the jitters it just keeps you focused i love it so much i've been
doing it i've had winston and coy that he went uh coy said that his fiancee now has found the
stash she's upset i had to hide some it's the best so look at let i'm telling the audience right now
that there is a black friday offer right now and you get 50 percent
off only today though only today and you got Christmas for my fiance there it is guys let's
get ready I love the taste of just got their orange juice I always save half to sit yes well
again 50% off and it's pretty phenomenal so it's the first thing you see in the description
so there you go all right gentlemen we're gonna get into the topics and today's show is
really just going to be about coy DC today you know and we're gonna talk about the future
of what a kind of is in store what we think after creature commandos
do we think, you know, that they're on a good path here.
And I got to ask you a question, though, because it might be tough for you.
And I don't know if they told you this when they, when they hire you, right?
Like, because you've always been, look, I like something.
I don't like something.
Hey, I want these movies to do well.
And you went and remember like for the Marvels, for example, you wanted that movie to be good.
You didn't like it.
You said as much and you got shit for it, right?
Now, what about with D.C.?
Now, are you going to be not be reviewing these such much because it's kind of conflict of interest?
How does that work for you?
So I made sure part of my contract was being able to keep doing this.
That was my first question, which is why it's so ironic.
I forgot to promote this because I literally asked about this exact show and real reject.
I literally, my first two questions after everything was getting into the paperwork were,
hey, I do a show that goes over the news as it develops.
So sometimes we talk about rumors.
And then my second question was when I react to a trailer, is that a conflict?
And they said that basically they hired me for a reason.
And it was really flattering because the whole process was we want someone that loves this as much as you that is as informed as you.
And if we wanted someone else, we would have gotten someone else.
We want you for you.
So keep doing what you do.
I'm sure there will inevitably times where I have to be like, can't talk about that?
If I also know something, like I won't be able to be like, well, is that a rumor?
What if you think something stinks?
That's what they want me to be.
Like, it's funny.
I'm going to have to be more negative because of the show, not less.
So many people in my comments
And like in basically
I've only talked about this on my announcement video on my page
And briefly brought it up in like a comment section
And everyone's like, oh, well now he's not going to be negative
And I was like, do you know who you're talking to?
But it's because they want authentic fan opinions
That there will be times on the show
If I don't like something, they won't let me just go like that
Not for me. Like they want us to dive in.
So it actually might be the opposite where I have to
on the record be more negative to have that, you know, fan opinion.
Luckily so far, first property and I enjoy, we'll talk about it.
But this is something where I'm going to be a little ahead of what's released by like, you know, a week or two, like creature commandos.
But it's really cool because I don't know too much where I can't do this.
And I made that clear.
Like I don't want to know the five year plan.
I want to know what's going to be a plausible to my ability for me to be able to do the rest of my job.
Right.
I got to be careful when we're talking about this show too.
because i've seen i think six episodes so far because they they sent me they sent me the whole season
when i was interviewing frank which i don't know if you guys got a chance to see that but you talk about
he was talking about dc for quite a while and it got me his not only did his interview really got me
hyped uh because and people are like well what do you want him to say of course he's going to hype it
he's that's what he's promoting frank's not that dude
he's also not promoting superman yet and that man will like gush about that man will talk about
David Corrin sweat being awesome longer than him being awesome and that man loves him because
frank grillo is awesome like if anyone should be like you know who's great frank grillo it's him and he will be
like but corin sweat though he's so modest dude he was he was like i can't believe that that james
gone even would ask me to be in this i'm like come on you frank grillo of course i went and saw wolves uh
to support him and and like uh talk to his kids and stuff and it was really it was really cool catching up
post creature commandos and like having the experience of now he's in the mindset of wolves uh where wolves and
Superman but the whole time it was him gushing over the universe and it was really nerdy and it was
really funny because and he's not a nerd and he's not a nerd he's such a bro and he's nerding out yes he's nerding out
a lot like because I remember when he was in about Marvel and again he says nothing but great
things about Marvel but he doesn't I don't think he had the best experience on it didn't tell me
that at all that's just me um guessing I remember talking to him on clitor live and he was like
yeah I'll talk about it but didn't really like it was I talked to him about DC for like 30 minutes
because he wanted to.
When I saw him in person, it was funny because I didn't want to like, I went to the event,
but I didn't want to be like, I can't announce my DC show yet.
Why am I here with Frank promoted this thing?
So we were like, it was clandestine, which was so funny.
I was like off to the side talking to Frank.
And I was like, we both have a really cool thing on DC in like six days.
And the whole time, it was us gushing over the stuff that was about to be public.
Right.
But it wasn't, it didn't feel like he had any pressure to.
It did not feel like, like he knows I'm impressed, but he doesn't.
doesn't like have any reason.
He just wanted to have someone that had seen creature to gush over it with.
Well, it felt so real.
It did. I think one of the reasons in having that conversation was the thing I got out of it
was the thing that we were hopeful for Winston.
And that was the idea that James Gunn is taking this over.
And we're all like hopeful because the James Gunn is a guy that really cares about this stuff.
And I listened to his interview.
I don't know if you guys listen to his interview on Josh Harowitz's show, but it was fantastic.
And it was a good breakdown of everything that's coming to be.
And so Winston, you know, like the things you've seen over the last couple of days with James Gunn, Frank Grillo, any big creature commanders, have you seen one and two?
I haven't had a chance yet.
I've, a lot of people know that I've just had like kind of a family emergency this week.
So I've been a little disconnected from everything.
I have seen the coming up the season trailer on it, which I'm, I was like, this is what we're getting.
Oh, God, dude, this is like Harley Quinn all over.
I'm ready.
My body is ready.
And it'll be the first thing I do when we, when we wrap up today is to.
do those two and I'll go and do my own reaction to that after the fact.
But the main thing that I've been paying attention to,
I know some people that weren't aware that I covered the start and the end of the whole
rumor about the Superman trailer.
I'm sure you both heard about that where the studio, quote, unquote, wasn't happy with it.
But then James was like, I'm the studio.
Like, I wanted to make sure that it's the best of the episode,
whatever rumor that, you know, some higher ups, it's not a thing.
it is him reiterating over and over again.
A. Oh, I got this.
And just from what I saw of the creature commandos thing coming up, again, in Gunn, I trust until I have been given proof not to.
And because his track record is impeccable.
So there's no reason for people to, in my opinion, be that scared.
Like I get it because the DC brand, unfortunately, has been tainted for the last few years.
Right. And they're aware of that. They know that.
You can tell it they're very aware of it.
And then I guess,
Coy, that what we can talk about in the first two episodes is that,
well,
I guess throwing back into both of these things is when I was talking about
Creature Commandos with Frank,
and there were some things you can tell that he knows
and maybe some things that he's not,
because I don't know if he has the clear answer.
I don't even know if James Gunn has the clear answer.
Maybe you do. I don't know.
But when it comes to, like, the overall canon,
I will be honest, I didn't love the answer James Gunn gave about,
well, it's like canon.
If it's mentioned here, that part of its canon,
but if it's not, then it's not canon.
And like, that's just for him to go, well, in order for me to make peacemaker,
I got to say this part of it is, I just will make sure they never mentioned the fact
that Wonder Woman and all of them showed up at the end because that's not canon.
It's so confusing in the same way that if the Suicide Squad is indeed canon,
because they mentioned in Creature Commandos that Rick Flagg lost his son.
And clearly that's going to be the whole reason for him being in Peacemaker season two.
by that merit is Harley Quinn played by Marga Robbie because that's who Harley Quinn was in the
Suicide Squad is that is that who we're getting now or is like well no because we want a different
Harley Quinn that one we never mentioned her so she's not canon it's a little I'm going to put
you on the spot here DC boy bring it I actually have a perfect answer to this uh this is how I see
life like if I'm hanging out with Winston and something happens and it happens to us and
Winston tells the story it might be different than I tell the story and if the three of us are
hanging out we're going to have three different versions of the story so i personally have always seen
comics as whatever arc i'm reading is the canon is the continuity is the experience you can have an
overarching arc you can have this giant show bible you can have all these things but also it's plausible
deniability of whatever the writer interprets the character as whatever the artist sees the character as
as soon as you change any team dynamic you're going to have a different thing so to me canon and continuity
are in the eye of the beholder so it would be a different story if i mean i'm hyperbolic because i see the world
very like, you know, right, but you're in it to be as exciting. Yeah, I want things to be like an 11
in like regular day to day to day, like walking down the street, a dog comes up to be, to me,
that dog might be 10 feet tall and I might tell the story that much. Winston might be like it was
a Chihuahua, bro. Like, it's all the experience of the moment and that's how I think they're handling
continuity. What do you think about Winston? Just bringing up chihuahuas like that. So, and specifically
how he said that, like super, super fast tangent. I don't know what I was. I was just bringing up. I was
in Hollywood and we left kitchen 24.
I'm sure you're both familiar with it.
And this homeless dude, the Tragico came up and he goes,
hey, bro, you want to buy this chihuahua?
And it was just sitting in his coat pocket and we didn't know what to do.
So Damon Wayne.
See that story right there is a perfect example of like what?
And that's a side mission.
And that's continuity for Winston that we'll never have.
I know.
But I don't know.
I just think that someone in the comments say, it's not confusing.
It is though to the regular person.
To you probably not because you,
because you are in this world.
you're watching capes and cows and i just everyone in this audience is probably right they're not
it's not confusing to you because that's such an absolute statement it's not confusing yes it is to
to people the normal people who are not paying attention to this stuff that are like okay look so
hey wait a minute so i see they're doing harley quinn she's coming so it's margo robbie because they
said that you know she suicide's got to watch a peacemaker so she's coming in right no she's not
it's a different it's a different one how but i hope that means people start watching movies as movies not as
for the next movie. Like, I think the thing that Marvel really messed up was they made the post
credit more important than the movie. They also made tie-ins more important than the two hours of the
actual experience. When I spend $18 on a movie ticket, I want to have a good two hours. I don't
want to be thinking out the thing that's going to hit me in two years. I think that if they make
things less connected, it'll allow audiences to be like, oh, I'm watching creature commandos.
Oh, I'm watching Superman. Oh, cool. These things tie together, but not like, oh, good,
I'm watching part one of a 17 movie saga, you know? Right. I'm hoping that's how we
rewrite this because if you think about it 2008 was what 16 years ago it's a very new concept that we
are having this thing happen because i'd say 2012 when avengers came out is when there was the big
shift to like let's strap in everything is connected so it's only been 12 years that we've had this
language of filmmaker right let's unwrite that a bit because it's hurting film i think you're right
and i do think that it is important for them to say look right now just feet just focus on creature
commandos this is our first story that we're telling enjoy that and
then the heavy push clearly is going to be on Superman. I mean, just from the way they're talking
about it now, this movie is getting hyped up more and more and more. It's not coming out for another
six, seven months, whatever it is. The trailer, also whatever that's going to hit. I do believe
that we're going to get it the end of this year. I feel like it's going to hit. But I'm just
curious to see how they're going to do all of it. And what I will say is the other thing,
something that Frank Rillo said that, I don't want to say concern me, but it just made me go,
hmm he talked about how the tone you know the because james gun is great with humor we know that because
creature commandos is essentially a different version of the suicide squad but it's it's this time it's
with frank frank with uh frank with uh with uh rick flagg senior instead of junior and running with monsters
instead of just these lunatics it's essentially kind of the same thing um and he's great with that
type of humor he's great with that when it comes to guardians of galaxy that works and when
he's writing and directing those types of things his humor comes out i i really really
really don't want to see this tone in Superman.
I don't know if I don't think that we will, but I'm hoping that not everybody's
Cray. Jimmy Olson's probably going to crack jokes. That's okay. But if Superman starts cracking
jokes, I'm leaving the theater.
Well, there's this. Oh, sorry. Once you go. No, I was just going to say I just, it's not to
say that he couldn't have written the characters in a different way, but I can almost
automatically tell you where it's going to come from. It Jimmy probably. Yeah.
For sure, especially knowing the actor. Uh, Lex, less so because of just Nicholas Hold,
it's possible, but I doubt it.
I doubt it too from what what James Gunn was saying yesterday or on Josh's show.
He's talking about him being a real intimidating force.
So yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I see it coming from, from Jimmy.
I definitely see it coming from Nathan Phileans Guy Gardner because guy has a tendency to do that until it's time to get serious.
So I definitely see that and that's probably where that casting came from.
Some of these other kind of additional characters that they've added to it, I think,
as far as like kind of the auxiliary people in Superman's life.
And so I think maybe in minor interactions with them, but I don't think that that's going to be something that's going to be on the regular.
I think it'll be an idea where Superman or Clark is always going to be the straight man around somebody that's doing something stupid like that.
So if guys running off at the mouth, he's like, yeah, someone's in the same thing.
And I think you're right.
Marco, Marco said, he's one of our members.
He said, Nathan Phillion will be the funny guy.
Absolutely.
So it makes sense.
It just, I want, as long as the tone, because the tone fits for creature commandos, it fits for suicide squad.
It fits for peacemaker.
but it does not fit for Superman at least at least i mean you can say that and then maybe it's it
starts too but i don't want to see a bunch of joke cracking in that movie i just don't i want to see
a good story about superman um i think superman's earnestness is more important to james gunn than a lot of
things like i i think james gunn loves to play in his sandbox with the characters that are his
sensibility like he's the ultimate underdog weirdo found family like and i use all those terms
it as a positive like i think weirdo characters are like something he loves to elevate yeah but i don't
think he makes normal characters into weirdos i think he makes weirdos into like elevated characters
like there's so much heart and so much um drama in guardians that it it you drop down a bit of the
tone where you can make something like cragglin make you cry well you know what he does very well he doesn't
but he doesn't manipulate the other way so i don't i'm not worried about superman no so so look what he
but inside of this tone still but what he does is episode four of the of creature community
which he talked about on on harwitz's a show so i'm not stepping in the line it's it's it's all
say is that it's it's weasel centric right you've seen it coy right okay so that episode is exactly
what you're talking about this kind of bizarre bizarre character that they go well what are they
are they ever going to make you know anything about this character anything he does it brilliantly
episode four and this isn't stepping out of tune either because this is just a vague uh oh my god
Episode four was one of those episodes of TV that got me excited for the medium of TV, like the actual use of the platform of TV.
I consider episode four like up there with Daredevil on Netflix.
It is insane what it accomplishes.
And it gives me all the hope.
It's so funny you give that example because that's what I've anchored to as like this gives me a lot of faith.
And I was surprised.
I didn't know what's it.
Wessel?
I thought it was a weasel.
It's a weasel.
It's a weasel.
Okay.
It looks like a weasel.
Yeah, it looks like a weasel.
Because I was curious how they were going to actually make that work,
and he did it really, really well.
But again, I don't want to spoil anything.
All right, guys, I'm going to tell everybody about what we got going on.
But before we do, I also want to tell you guys, Winston and Coy,
that Roxy right now is on the verge.
You guys last week by yourselves wind up taking the crown.
Right now you stand at nine.
It's nine, I know, shocking.
Steph had a rough one yesterday, too.
Roxy is actually at 84.
I wrote 82.
So you guys need right now about 74 to tie her in order to take the crown.
If not, Roxie's going to get herself a victory here.
But right now it is 10 questions for Winston and Coy as we are going to get to a few more things.
But before we do, I got to tell you about Vaya, Bia.
And it is one of my favorites.
I love Vaya so much, couple with another one of my favorites.
That's AG1.
I'll say about both of them right now.
Vaya.

I've told you about AG1, and it's the best time to tell you about age you one because it's the
holiday season. And it is so hard telling you from experience to stay motivated and to eat healthy
during the holidays, it's always a challenge. So for me, what I make sure that I do, I have AG1
when I start off during the day. I know that if I'm going to have all my vitamins in one shot,
I got AG1. Before AG1 was a part of my daily routine, I was all over the place. I was scattered.
And I was like, oh, maybe I should do vitamins, but it takes 75 and different things and mix
and match. It was a mess. So I couldn't do it.
So for me, as you guys have seen, you guys have been so kind and complimenting.
You're like, oh, I can tell you, you've lost weight, you look healthy, age you want.
The travel packs are great too, because if I don't have the morning routine for some reason gets thrown off,
and I'm like, oh man, I got the travel pack, I'm on the train, I put it in a water bottle, done.
What's so good about age you one is it just sleep quality, more energy.
It just, it's wonderful.
Try this new year.
Try AG1 for yourself.
It is the perfect time to start a new healthy habit, and that's what you're.
why I've been partnering with them for so long.
They've been with us since I started this show.
And AG1 is offering new subscribers free $76 gift when you sign up.
You get a welcome kit, you get a bottle of D3K2, and you get five free travel packs in your first box.
So make sure to check out drinkag1.com slash big thing to get this offer.
That is drinkag1.com slash big thing to start your new year on a healthier note.
You will thank me, I promise.
All right, as I mentioned, both AG1 and VIA.
Two, just wonderful sponsors and holiday season.
You're looking for gifts.
I just gave you two of them.
Gentlemen, we got more stuff to discuss here.
And as we are discussing the DC stuff,
and as we mentioned with Frank Willow,
and I'm going to owe another, I did it yesterday,
I'm going to give a big apology once again to Josh Wilding
on comic book movie.
So this is, I'll tell you in a second what I did yesterday.
But Superman takes flight and new promo artist,
Frank Grillo compares David Corenswet to Christopher Reeve.
They put a new promo art for Superman.
There you see it right there.
Man of Steel taking flight.
Frank Grillo has praised David Corencewet,
taking on the hero and comparing him to Christopher Reeve.
Taking on the roles in the likes of Hollywood and Twister,
it's not unfair to say David Corencew was unknown
before being cast as the title character in Superman.
So he said, now Creature Commandos and Superman star Frank Grillo
shared what he thinks makes Corrin Sweat so perfect for the role
as an interview with Christian Harlow.
Henry Cavill, beautiful dude, I mean, God touched him on the shoulder and said, I'm going to make you handsome.
He started, but with David, there's something very Christopher Reeve about him.
He's got stoicism.
There's a seriousness.
He said, he's 5'10.
And he stepped out and he said, oh, my God, you are Superman.
And there's something about the guy.
I don't know if he can articulate it, if I can articulate it, but I was like, oh, this guy is Superman.
He's Superman.
And that's high praise, yada, yada, yada.
So the reason I even bring that up, or two reasons.
One, apologizing to Josh Wiley yesterday.
Because were you guys on the show?
I've done this.
I haven't done it today.
but making a note to try to not do it um i read something in the comments misread it call the person out
and then realize that they're not even talking about this talking about something completely different
well i did the same thing of josh wilding yesterday um i'm reading that article and as i'm not feeling
great um i miss i did i miss read it so it didn't see my name when he when it was like said well
you just took the quote and say anything i said i said all right wilding show some class will you
and then i look back over and i said to christian like the next line yeah
The very next.
No, no, I think I skipped over it.
I think I skipped over.
Oh, wow.
And I went like this.
I said, I was like, show some class.
Not you with a damn sign.
But now it's at him.
Now it's a reflecting sign.
Now it's for me.
Now it's for me.
You're showing some class.
Yeah, show a little.
Just turn around.
Just pointed out.
I know.
I have to show it myself.
So I,
so I apologize to Josh Wilding for that because he absolutely did credit us for that,
for that interview.
But it's more so about the,
idea that what you mentioned beforehand, not just that Frank girl is talking with Superman,
the people, they're very aware. And I'm sure, Coy, when you're on set, they're very aware that
they need this one. This one's got to hit. What's great is they are really happy a project at a time.
So I've been shocked at the plan with Creature Commandos being like, hey, we want to talk about
creature commandos and we want to make sure that's our focus. And then we'll get to the next
project. And I personally am glad that it feels like they're,
they're caring about each thing.
So I'm sure whatever happens with the trailer release or the lead up or this image that
just came out, like it's going to be this aggressive onslaught once it's that season.
But my experience has been like it's creature commandos time to shine.
We'll get to the next thing at the next thing.
And to be honest, like I want other shared universes to care about their current thing a little more, maybe.
So so far it's a creature commandos o'clock.
Right.
Yeah.
I think there's also something really.
liberating, I think it was smart not to make it the full, the full centerpiece to start,
but there's something very liberating that your starting point is with new characters,
at least for a majority of people. Obviously, your big kickoff is Superman, but this feels like
a soft grand opening that they do a lot of times, you know, like for stores. It's nice to do that
and be like, well, what are we dealing with here? What kind of, not just the tone, but like,
you're giving me something brand new to sink my teeth into where unless you obviously are the
biggest diehards of the diehards you're you're really being like okay new characters what does this
person stand for like what kind of is here and i think that that's really refreshing since
everything is some version of a reboot or or things like that you know yeah and christian i know
winston hasn't seen it so i paused this to you but i also like how within the first two
episodes, the first episode felt like a very James Gunn, Task Force X into Task Force M, and it felt
very intentionally approachable. But the Creature Commandos are not an approachable team. It's a very
absurdist kind of concept. And then the second episode is like, okay, now that you're with this,
let's get weird. And I think personally, that is a testament to the strength of starting universe,
like Winston said, with a soft grand opening. Superman shouldn't be taking, you know, insane weird
choices but if you start a universe with weird and then your follow-up is big freaking blue then you
kind of have a sense of the two sides you've got like this insanity can be we do weird stuff we also
do superman we go back to weird i think that's way smarter than just being like let's start with
superman again and let's also call it what it is too when it comes to starting the universe yes
from timelines and all that and from the first project within the DCU creature commandos is the thing
But to the mainstream audience overall, Superman's going to be the thing.
But I think that's a great way for us.
People that watch capes, you know, to go, okay, we're warming up, we're in.
And then everyone else to when they watch Superman be like, wait, we can watch.
Like, I think that's exciting.
I'm just curious to see, like, if you did a poll, like, let's say that Superman is the blockbuster that you expect it to be.
And the people online are coming out of the theater, you said to them, hey, have you seen creature commandos?
I wonder one out of every 10 people what the answer is.
You know what I mean? Because it's like it's on it's on HBO max right as an animated show to start the DCU
In the same way that like I remember when when when Star Wars was popping and it was when force awakens and rebels right
There were not a lot of people that were watching rebels outside of the sphere
And I remember seeing telling tons of people who were big Star Wars fans that were excited of force awakens is he got to watch rebels
Rebels is really damn good you got to check it out and nobody had heard of it nobody knew what it was in the mainstream audience not and people are gonna be right in the comments I knew what it was I know you know you know
what it was because you're watching this show and I appreciate it but it's like but it's but it's the I
wonder you know how they're not going to really tie that much in because Frank Grillo even said as
I asked him I was like you're going to get the silver dome he's not getting the silver dome he's
going to look like Frank Grillo inside of the thing it's not it's so that that's not tying into it
but that was a different reason why is because he was working on uh shit what was he working on was it
oh man oh he's working on Tulsa King he was working on Tulsa King he was working on Tulsa King and he couldn't
cut his hair so every time someone has
ask that man about his hair, he gets a little taller.
He gets a little prouder.
I mean, Frank Rillo's love of Frank Rillo's hair.
It's majestic.
It's key.
But I do think that it is a net benefit to the universe, maybe not to creature commandos,
but I think having something that is odd to start the universe will make their more flexibility
in the universe overall.
That's what I'm speaking to.
I don't think about popularity in this case or about the mainstream audience.
What I'm thinking of is now the universe can have more absurdist and more extreme and more out
their characters because there's a precedent before Superman. Right. Well, he's out there talking.
He gets a lot of interviews, James Gunn. We didn't get him yet. Coy, you know I'm going to bother you
about that. Oh, I mean, you and me both. Once you get, once you get tight with him, you do your interview,
and I'm sure you'll give them to Real Rejects first, and I get it. And then I'm going to knock on the door.
And then I'll knock on the door. Or maybe as an apology for not saying capes and cowls.
I'm like me than Christian. But yes, I'm making moves. I would appreciate that. Okay. So we're going to,
But he is, when's it going?
I was just thinking, Koi, I think what you need to do is I think you need to find a way to get our capes and cows, like, comic book versions of us.
Like, if there's some sort of like Comic-Con scenario in one of the shows or something, if people are dressing like Superman and Superman, there's a quick scene of the three of us dressed as our characters.
Let's do.
What are these dime store ripple?
Let's shoot.
Let's shoot the episodes.
Let's shoot the episode once we shoot all of our episodes
They won't look like dime store once we do the actual from wicked arts actual art
Yeah, yeah once we have the official wicked art and we feel like we're actual adaptations
Do a video. We'll do actual video for it. Okay, so we got
Another interview that he was given you guys are currently right now you're at 18 18
We doubled in 10 minutes. I'm just saying I know and I remember and I think that when you guys started
Your questions last week you're only at like 20 so and you went up winning the when in the day so it's still a possibility
There's still a shot that you could do it.
Roxy holding tight at 84 right now.
I don't know if I should play this card now or not.
I mean, it is my birthday on Tuesday.
Oh, you're not going to.
Yeah, it's true.
Uh-oh.
We could, yeah, so, you know, there's that guys.
It's so funny.
I told, I told, well, we don't have to go over again.
Let's, let's get into it.
What?
Nothing.
I just, I went into it.
I did the Austin Powers.
I was speaking out loud when it should stay in my head.
DC Studios boss James Gunn reveals whether the DCU has
one big bad. We're world building. We're not story building. DC Studios co-CEO. James Gunn has responded
to theories about the DCU's big bad, confirming that these movies and TV shows aren't necessarily
building to a huge crossover event featuring a sole villain. What Marvel Studios has achieved
with the MCU is nothing short of incredible. Rival Studios have tried and failed to replicate
that success. Look at Universal's ill-fate dark universe and moviegoers now expect every franchise to
link up and build up to something. From day one,
There's been speculation about who DC Studios will choose as the DCU's big bat.
Darkside is likely to table after Jack, Jack, Zach Snyder's Justice League,
but James Gunn must surely have plans for the team assembling for a battle with a seemingly
unstoppable threat, right?
Much has been said about that possibility being the center,
a monstrous being first introduced in Darwin Cook's New Frontier.
However, the DC Studios boss has now confirmed that the DCU isn't selling, sorry,
setting out to tell one big story that leads to a final boss-type villain in a future crossover or event movie.
He says these are interconnected stories, but people are always going to be saying,
who's the big bad? Are there big bads for connected films? Yes, but is this all about,
hey, I'm telling this one story about this big bad? No, this is about a connected universe.
We're world-building. We're not story-building. We're not writing one story that has a beginning,
middle, and end. The filmmaker continued. We're creating a universe where people in which can go in and
join in experience. It is much more like Star Wars. Some fans might be disappointed by these
comments, but it is really such a bad thing for the DCU to differentiate itself between MCU.
Justice League is bound to assemble somewhere down the line, and the villain they face doesn't
necessarily need to have made the presence felt in countless other movies and TV shows. As
for the circle, we still expect that bad aid to factor into Lantern somehow. And that was, of course,
from the Josh Horowitz interview. And he said that night, I like that he said this.
I'm so excited, dude.
Go ahead.
I personally, I'm so sick of every single Marvel movie being a TikTok dissertation on things you missed.
And please explain this ending.
And what do I have to know?
I want stories in life.
I go and I have an adventure.
Say the three of us go on a weekend retreat and Big Bear.
And then six months later, we go to Disney.
And then a year and a half later, we're in Ireland.
Those are all movies.
those are all experiences and there will be stories that connect those things and there'll be
anecdotes and there'll be those things but it's not leading to one big overarching villain in our
lives like you know villain being like death and taxes sure but it's not everything leading to those
things so i don't want everything in a shared universe to feel like it has to culminate in one story
because that isn't storytelling that is singularly focused so i love this quote because it means
we're not going to be just going like well i'm not enjoying this experience because i'm waiting for
blankety blank i want to actually have those two hours those three hours the six episodes of
whatever show like i don't think the world is one story and i think that the way we look at movies
right now if they have any sort of connection is that like even even things aren't the mc u let's leave
the current cinematic universe flavor even things like pirates the caribbean which was like
i consider the last generation of blockbusters before the mcc u was that like piracy era of blockbuster
even their sequels, they did that thing where they went back and they made the prequels all about weird little like finding the pouch of, you know, Johnny Depp's character.
Not everything has to be the culmination of something.
So I think this is the way to like he said, world build, not story build.
And it's a relief as a comic fan to let comic stories be told.
What do you think about this once?
I mean, I'm on the same page.
I think part of the problem is, is that instead of what they should be treating any of these things as, since we're almost making it kind of episodic.
and that these phases or chapters
are essentially seasons of television,
go and look at, for example,
one of the best shows that came out this year,
The Penguin.
You were building to an overall arching story
from start to finish for Ozzy, right?
But every episode was a self-contained.
We are focused on this particular thing,
and if it gives a good little tee-up
to what's coming in the next,
next episode fine, but it is not the focus to worry about the next episode. It is the focus on
literally Sophia and how she became, quote, unquote, the hangman, and then ended up,
I won't say it in case people haven't finished the penguin, but you know the episode I'm
talking about with the yellow dress and everything. It is, it is a, that should be the idea.
We are only focused in this Superman movie on Superman getting his yellow dress, quote, unquote,
and then we'll deal with what happens with him after the fact later.
Totally.
We need to be on this episode and this episode only right now.
And thinking about the best stuff at Marvel, it's that, right?
Like, Winter Soldier has stuff that impacts the present, the future, and references the past.
And like X-Men, X-Men was so exciting when a Spider-Man, spoiler for a year ago,
Spider-Man cameo for the animated series from the past.
But that's like, like I said, my Big Bear thing.
If we're in Big Bear together, we run into someone from the Shmowdown.
It's going to be an exciting little cameo, but it's not going to affect.
to the world. I think there needs to be individualized things. That is how the MCU started so strong.
I didn't watch Guardians of the Galaxy going. How is this going to affect the next 20 years of my life?
And I want movies to feel like that journey again. I like having both options, right? I like having
because now if you have Marvel, which is doing their thing and doing it the way that they've always done it,
because I'm doing a rewatch. I'm doing a rewatch of the MCU right now. Sam's watching it for the
first time. And it's exciting. I say this tour, we shot our reaction for Thor yesterday. And I said,
exciting for me and I think it's gonna be exciting for the audience to watch this because it reminded me of how we all felt like she's excited I mean this is someone who had no idea about any of these movies she's so this she is the person I'm talking about she's no idea what creature's commandos is she has no clue but she is loving the MCU she's loving watching it and it reminded me of like of us when we saw it and we go and we watch and she's like oh these post credits things I love these things right and it's like remember when we first started getting introduced to it how it lines up in the TV side of it
And I think there's still that place for what Marvel's doing as long as they can kind of get back on track of what they're doing.
DC, I like this approach to it because the way that they're approaching and also I kind of look at it like wrestling, right?
You bring out somebody in wrestling and you bring out some, or, you know, bring out the schmo down, you talked about it too, but you bring in someone in wrestling and you go, okay, let's see what kind of character this person is.
And does the audience resonate with it, right?
I don't want to start putting a storyline out for this particular person and then the audience rejects them.
And now I've now I've planned up all the way to WrestleMania with this person in mind and the audience doesn't like them.
Yeah.
So and then I have this whole thing.
Well, now what I do, bless you because Marvel did.
That's just so deep.
It was.
I didn't want to sneeze into your ears.
I was trying to block the microphone.
I thought you were trying to support your necktuck.
I was trying to block the microphone for your ears.
I'm sorry.
Gentlemen.
It was very, it was very nice.
But Marvel, Marvel is.
didn't start out that way either.
They had an idea of where they wanted to go.
They had that idea of where they're just
little hints, little hints, let's see if they
like it, and we've hinted the Avengers initiative,
we've hinted this, and then they have,
and so they were able to kind of push forward
with what they wanted to do.
And it's the scene with Superman.
Let's say Superman becomes the most profitable
Superman movie of all time,
and the highest rated critic-wise.
Let's go a step further, which no one here thinks
it's going to happen, but I hope it does.
Let's say it wins the Oscar, right?
chances of that happening something up
but let's say it does
you don't think they're going to make a sequel to that movie
before they do another something else
because I think that's what hurt
the Snyderverse in the beginning
I think what they did and I think that he was
pressured into doing hey you know what
instead of doing
a Superman movie that a Batman movie
let's jump right to that Avengers thing let's go
Batman v Superman let's capitalize on
the on the two big names
and it's like build to it
and and and and or don't i i hope that the mc u becomes more like this after secret wars like i love
the mc u i'm a passionate devout i cannot wait for these movies at all times but i would love if
we get stories that don't have to connect after secret wars because that allows continuity-wise
to separate and we could have things that are disparate like i have nothing against what led here
but it is time to not be beholden to the next film and the next experience the next thing
because that's not how it works and then you don't have to worry about things
falling apart and like strikes and global pandemics if it's not as connected so i think if things go well
secret or should be the end of that giant 20-year story and then we should be able to tell stories that
feel like the defenders on netflix where you know you do have interconnectedness but it's not beholden
to itself i mean i i stand by what we were kind of talking about earlier again you have decided
to treat this episodically so you need to treat it episodically also i am not coy oh that was so
funny it was on Winston that whole monologue and i was like yeah he's just fine i got your listening face no for
it's all good but i but but you i say that to say that like again as we are all alluding to with what
we plan to see with like superman and stuff and that is part of where i get a little nervous
when you go back and look at 2008 and ironman came out you teased nick fury but you weren't already
being like and then whatever whatever whatever the same thing we've been saying you have to treat this like
TV and that if you were watching, you know, the post credit should be that little baby trailer
they do at the end of every HBO episode. You know what I'm saying? That is the only thing
that we should be getting about what's coming next. None of it should be in here unless it's just
quickly introducing a character like you see a foreshadowing kind of somebody's shoulder. That looks
like the Batman cow. Other than that, nothing. You need to be in the moment. And that is a,
we can get into a whole philosophical conversation about how the society that we live
and now I refuse to say that statement how it's supposed to be said.
Doesn't have us focus on the here and now.
We're already thinking about tomorrow.
We're already thinking about the next video, the next whatever,
and that is kind of a problem.
That's why we're so anxious.
We're not looking at now ever.
And I think that this plan is more about the presence.
Yeah, I like that.
That Marvel should do that some.
Because I love the Marvel characters.
Use them right.
However, the trailer for Creature Commandos does show the future.
And Creature Commando's trailer features the DCU debuts of Superman,
Peacemaker Starfire and more.
Following the two-episode premiere of Creature Commandos earlier today,
we have a new weeks-ahead trailer for the Mac series,
which features some pretty sizable spoilers for the DC Studios TV series.
Focus is primarily on task force and battles with, what's that word?
Circe?
Yes.
Sercy, yeah.
Through the sneak peak spoils the fact that she's eventually captured by Argus and Amanda Waller.
Oh, cold's killed me.
Sorry.
By far, the biggest talking point is an.
apparent glimpse into the future with Superman crucified and heroes like Mr. Terrific and Starfire
impaled nearby. Beyond that rumor, Teen Titans movie, we've heard nothing about plans for the
ladder in the DCU, so her inclusion here is massively intriguing. And I think there's a reason why
that was shown in the trailer. James was going to eat no dummy. He knows that people are going to be
talking about this. Peasmaker is also shown dead on the ground, and this is one heck of a way to give
us our first look at these characters in the DCU. Common sense says it's just a possible future
rather than what awaits them in a future movies or TV series. Okay, so this kind of reminds me
of what they did in Ultron, you know, like where Downey saw all this stuff kind of going down
and it leads to Thanos and all that. But, Corey, what do you make from this? Because you and I both
seem, I will say the majority of the stuff that they showed in that trailer all up until like episode
six, the majority of it. I was shocked. This came out in a trailer, but I agree. You want people to have
the buzz around stuff. And I do think it ties into what we were saying earlier about like the
niche of a show like Creature Commandos animated on max. You know, it's good to get as much
word out as you can. So I normally wouldn't love that being shown in the trailer, but I do think
that it helps us to have this conversation right now. I think it's such a cool comic image,
you know, like that's a very comicky thing. Like you said, an Ultron where it's like the
devastation of the future and heroes, bodies and all that stuff. And it gives you such an ominous
but also allows you to see the bit of world building without it being like, you know, over the top.
So I think it's smart marketing. And I also think that is such an impactful use of comic imagery to
the mainstream audience. I'm really excited people to see it.
I mean, yeah. Like I said, I didn't get a chance to watch the first couple episodes.
So just being able to watch the trailers and the trailer and get a tease of what to expect out
of this, because truthfully, other than what we have kind of covered one way or the other,
I just was like, okay, I mean, I'm interested to see. Like, I am familiar with the team as it
is, but it's not one that I follow super closely. But again,
by the nature of getting enough of guns,
you know, which again feels very similar
to what we've gotten out of DC animated
in like Harley Quinn, for example.
I was like, no, you've already got me on board
and I know that gun knows how to transition
exceptionally well from that kind of comedic timing
and serious moments straight into, no, this is real right now.
Now this is, you know, Guardians 2,
you gave my mom a cancer, rocket, like, you know,
crying, you know, about his,
friends being like there's plenty plenty where i know gun will be able to anchor that back down while
still giving us something to be like damn that was kind of dark but kind of funny so well and i think that
sorry christ you i think that the strength of this is if the dc u is able to tell this kind of storytelling
in a different way where it like teases moments like we we're discussing right now but then also has
different storylines different elements going all at once then the cool thing is next july we've got you know
another giant culmination in Fantastic Four and a different way of telling these kind of stories
in Superman coming out within a month of each other. We're coming out within weeks of each other.
And then Secret Oars is not that far away. Two years is going to go by like that, which is terrifying.
But like time is going to be moving and we're going to get to Secret Oars. Then we can see what the
film language and culture wants. We can see if we need to do a reboot on some of these Marvel characters.
We can see if it feels better to have the cohesive thing. And I think that's the beauty of comics,
is you can tell an organized story, which the Marvel's been doing and had been doing really, really well and still continues to do more hits than misses. I still maintain as much as it is to doom and gloom on Marvel, as much as people love to be like, ah, that MCU dreams over, they are still hitting more than they're missing. So if they can get back to hitting even more, if they can get back to that crazy batting average they had and then DC is doing this different take, they're only going to both be stronger for it because competition breeds success. It makes you work harder. Yeah, it will for sure. And I think now that they actually is.
It's, it, again, using wrestling, it was like when the WCW and the WF were going at it head to head back in the day, it just made, it made, I mean, WCW was winning for weeks and it made the WWF stronger.
So, okay, so we got one more story that I want to talk about here.
And then we're going to answer the questions.
Currently, you guys sit at 22.
So you need just around 62 to tie Roxy.
62 in a quarter of just, just, you have about an hour if they can do it.
So we're going to get to this story.
And this is from comic book movie where our good friend, Josh Wilding, says, Paradise Lost,
five things we want to see from DC Studios, Wonder Woman Prequel TV series.
I like doing the, we haven't done this in quite a while.
We've kind of read some of their articles before in their list.
And I think it's, I think it's relevant to the thing that we're talking about right now.
So the five things that they want to see from Paradise Lost, which was an announced series.
that they're going to do.
And they do, shoot, I don't know when it's mentioned.
So there's a lot of different mentions
of a lot of different DC properties inside of Creature Commandos.
The two episode premiere of Creature Commandos confirmed,
oh, never mind, confirmed the Miscara exists
in the new DCU, but also that no one is quite sure
whether this island of Amazon's is a real place for a myth.
When DC Studios announced chapter one, gods and monsters,
we learned of plans for Superman legacy and the Brave and the Bold.
However, in place of Wonder Woman was powerful,
was Paradise Lost and HBO TV series set on Themisgara and it was announced it was an intriguing
concept and one we're more eager to explore than ever before in this feature we take a deep dive
of what we're hoping to see from Paradise Lost this is five Circe well we see her so we're only two
episodes into creature commandos it's already hit it's not hard to see she leaves herself to be the
rightful ruler and the sorceress is an absolute badass judging by her fight with the bride
number four war
I'm gonna see a lot of war is what they want to see
a lot of battles inside of HBO and Macs series
for three Diana Prince's origin story
minus Steve Trevor
interesting you're gonna debut Wonder Woman inside
this series that'd be interesting
a wider scope beyond the island
in the present day it seems that no one knows
whether it's real at the same time
they're not exactly shocked by the presence of Amazon
like Circe causing chaos
and then one Trinity who's that
you guys will tell me say what you will about
Wonder Woman, but Wonder Woman did a fantastic job exploring Diana Prince's origin story,
her life with Miscara, and her entry into the world outside of the island.
Her appearances in movies like Batman Movie Superman, yada, yada, yada, yada.
Well, why not give Diana a daughter?
In the DCU, Diana never left, if the DCU's Diana never left themascares,
she could be this show's lead as the ruler of her home.
All right, anyway, you guys can tell me who that is.
You get these five choices.
Winston, out of the things you hear there, do you like what they're,
saying are there other things you'd want to add to this series i would i think the one i would most want to
focus on honestly is the war element and and that sounds kind of weird but a we have rarely got the
chance to see the amazons truly go for it we got a teasing of it obviously in uh what the two elements
would have been justice league more so with the snider cut and a little bit in wonder woman when like in
world war two obviously when steve shows up that but i i i
genuinely would love to see a 300-esque let these Amazonians cook, bro.
They are considered the best warriors in the world.
It's the same way that watching Wakanda, like Wakanda, anything,
every time you see the Dorma Lodge, I get a chance to go off.
And any of the warriors from Wakanda, it is fascinating because they're supposed to
be the best in the world.
So there is something very interesting about what are the dynamics amongst like squads and
things like that, you know, in the same way that, like,
the bad batch, like when it was at its, you know, at a peak type situation,
it's interesting to see these characters within the grander scheme and what's going on here.
If we're going to do a show about, I'm about Themyskera,
let's genuinely focus on what they do best and seeing that happen more so than anything else.
Because otherwise, just like, oh, yeah, they're good warriors, but here's Diana.
And then if that's the only thing, then I don't need the show, then just give me Wonder Woman.
but if you're going to focus on the mascara, then let me see what they do best.
What do you think, cool, you think they're going to get because one of the things that they did say,
James Gunn has said it, Frank Grolo talked about in interviews, other people have said that if you're the
voice in one of these things, if you're a character and one of these things, that's, that's who our DCU
person is, right? So they're not like taking voice actors and then put, it's like if your cast as a character,
you're cast. Now, I know this is not an animated show. It's a live action show. So do you think we're
going to get the debut of Wonder Woman inside of this thing or she all,
fighting a different adventure i think she could i think it'll depend when they said it i think it'd be
interesting if they said it like in the far past and if they want to introduce her that's a good way to
show her agelessness like if you know it's set long ago and she's still the same actress and like a
year or two later like roughly the same age in the modern day that'd be a cool way to fish out of water
is it live action is it live action or is it right i mean uh we haven't heard we we only got that
one announcement of the beginning i think a lot of people assumed live action but i don't know if we know
okay um but i think that having it um more isolated to the island is more exciting for me i know
they mentioned world building but for me what winston said is my whole idea for the show is that i
i love the time we spent on wakonda because it felt like a unique world that i got to live in i didn't
want to go back to america i love that we had uh you know um home boy from lord of the rings as like
you know a fish out of water in wakondas or eyeline our tulking tulkin white guy but i i really think that
it is a great way to grow your universe if you focus in on something that is unique.
So I'd say stay on the island.
Well, actually, when you're talking about, he wasn't from Lord of the Rings.
He was from The Hobbit.
Andy Circus, however, was in Lord of the Rings.
Two Tolkien token white guys.
Right. So just to let you know.
Anyway, we just got nerded by Christian.
I'm very proud of the glasses used.
I was actually very impressed by that.
we now we know if we need to do like what what's the fantasy spin off is it like bows and and axes or something like that yeah that one i could do sam
dot dot dot you have my axe show sam is so um she is so terrified that i'm going to make her watch lord of the rings
because she doesn't just not her genre and right now she's so she's so tied into mccu i think she'll love them
but she's like she's i told her that i was tricking her when i was putting on ironman too i said oh i trick we're actually going to watch lord of the ring she's like i'm leaving
What's great about the MCU is it's a great way to get someone into that sensibility or they might like Lord of the Rings more after.
Like the MCU is an incredible gateway drug to fantasy.
Like because it allows your brain to be like, oh, this is normalized.
Then she'll like Lord of the Rings way more in the 10 years later when you've caught up in the MCU.
Yeah.
The only thing I was going to say, not to keep harping on the penguin, but I think we're all universally agree.
If it's not the best show of the year, it's in that conversation from Mount Rushmore in that take literally from that example.
Let, let James do what he's doing the same way that Matt is with the Batman.
But what any of this other stuff is, is you focus on this particular thing.
Let that be its own thing, but connect it to things without making that to focus about the other thing.
It's about what's right here.
I forget.
Did you guys watch Shogun?
No, neither one you guys did.
Too many shows.
All right.
So Shogun, you would love Shogun.
You both would love it.
I didn't realize, I mean, I didn't realize I didn't put it together, I should say.
when I watched Shogun because I watched Thor and one of,
because we did our, we did a, we recorded the Thor reaction,
which will come out next Friday, Iron Man 2 came out today.
But, um, but one of the dudes from Shogun plays one of Thor's, um,
peeps, like Thor, Thor has, uh, oh, is he,
Fendrel or is he?
No, no, no, he, the Asian guy.
Um, no, no, I know what you're talking about of the, of the, of his crew.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And when I saw him was like, oh, that's a dude from Shogun, he's so good in Shogun.
Um, so I was excited.
Anyway, um, let's, uh, we're going to, we're going to tell you guys real quick.
Before we get into the questions now, I want to tell you guys about hello Tushy, which Sam,
that's Sam's favorite ad.
She told me, people said they love Sam.
Well, Sam loves the new Tushia.
That and of course, our good friends over at Rocket Money.
I've told you about Rocket Money, guys.
And the reason why for Rocket Money was so important is that I, I, I, for a long time,
I used to do these things where I'd be on my phone and I'd start searching for these apps.
I'm like, oh, okay, yeah, I'll sign up. Oh, for free? Yeah, it's free for now. But then it's going to be
$20, $30 a month and you forgot that you're even paying it. And I said, oh, well, this rocket money
lets you know about what subscriptions that you have that you're not paying attention to. It can
cancel subscriptions for you. It really is amazing. And it just, it just cuts so much time out of my
schedule. And I love it because you don't even know how much you're paying in subscriptions. And
you're probably paying way more than you think. Because over 74% of people have subscriptions
they've forgotten about.
I definitely did that.
I can tell you that right now.
Like there was a couple of, I'm telling you some of these apps.
I tried some of these apps.
I'm like, oh, shoot, I forgot all about it.
You think you spent around 62 per month on subscription, something like that.
But it's close to about 300.
It's close about 300 a month because Rocket Money is also.
It's a personal finance app and it finds it cancels your unwanted subscriptions.
It monitors all of your spending.
And it helps lower your bills so you can grow your savings.
Everyone that's using 500 million in cancel subscriptions.
It saves about 700.
$140 a year. It's great. So stop wasting money on things that you don't use. You just cancel your unwanted
subscriptions. You go to rocketmoney.com slash thing. Rocketmoney.com slash thing. Very easy. Rocket
money.money.com.

So make sure that you check it out.
You want to get somebody something good.
You want to keep this show going.
One of our sponsors and you get yourself something nice.
All right, guys, currently, not bad, 29 to start.
29 to start as we get going here before we get into the questions.
Coy, I gave you a lot of time to promote your D.C. stuff.
So I might as well ask Winston.
Winston, what are you got?
Man, what have got going on?
yeah absolutely uh so a lot of you again mentioned this before a lot of you know that i had to take the week off for some family stuff but come check me out over at utah com slash a swaggy blurred
I will actually be doing a Sunday episode of Blurred Breakdown to try and at least give you a little something of the stuff that's been going on this past week.
And then we should be back to normal next week, you know, doing multiple episodes and things like that.
So that's pretty much it right now.
I appreciate all of the love and support.
I got a lot of very nice messages either on the page themselves or people sending me DM.
So thank you.
Thank you very much.
Cool.
I wanted to go live today to celebrate the new show.
go live in a couple hours at four on my page to talk about this week's comics all sorts of comic stuff
and probably talk about the show it's on it's on max right now if you go on max and you go past creature
commandos and penguin DC studio showcase my show on max is crazy to me uh so i wanted to celebrate
that with the live streams we're gonna do that later this afternoon uh oh wow afternoon
boston i was so excited afternoon just happened uh but i also every so often it looks
um but i also am doing a ton of reviews i've got the new star wars show the day at
drops. I've got Dune Prophecy on Sundays. I'm going to be doing every episode of What
If I'm going to be doing every episode of Creature Commandos. My creature commandos video is doing
really well over there. And it's fun because I saw it before the people's reaction. So it's
cool to see the moments that I saw weeks ago. And now the moments that are popping. So I was
shocked when the trailer moment came out with episode four because when I watched it, it was like,
so my reactions are preserved in time. And then all of that plus my favorite albums of the year,
my favorite TV shows the year, my favorite movies, the year videos coming in two weeks.
So about 37, 38 videos this month on my page and I just passed 38K.
Nice, really good.
So there you go.
Check out both of their stuff.
Now let's get into it.
Now can that support carry over to them beating Roxy?
They got to get to 84.
They're currently sitting at 30 as we start.
Come on.
Mike.
Birthday Winston.
The man, Hunt.
Just popped in to let Winston and Coy know they have no chance against Roxy.
Team Stryor.
Whoa.
It's kind of ironic.
You donate.
Tell us we have no chance.
I think the irony is there.
Craven Moorhead.
Which film is better?
Dante's Peak or Volcano
and Olympus has fallen or White House down?
I'll go with Olympus has fallen over White House down.
And I'll go with a better movie,
Dante's Peak, more entertaining volcano.
I was going to say Volcano or Olympus.
Yeah.
I'll go White House Down.
just from a boy Channing Tatum and be the contrarian yeah um what about don't days and what you haven't
oh a volcano more fun dante's better movie that that's just true yeah uh artem says let's all relax
and not over exaggerate two above average kid star wars episodes does not mean star wars is back
give us a good movie and we can talk i don't disagree with them i don't disagree with them i think
i mean you know it's like it's one of those things where i i still feel that it's a well done show
because of the creators. It's like, I stand by what I say, though, each and every time.
It's not a matter of being able to say, okay, look, we got a good one here. And then, oh,
that means that the next movie's going to be great. The people in charge running it are the problem.
And they got it right here, and they hired John Watts. They got it right, and they hired Tony
Gilroy. But they get it wrong a lot of the other times. So that's the question is,
even if it's a great show, we haven't had a movie since 2019.
which is crazy just five years and it's going to be six next year when we get the movie finally
i think the shows it's fun i think it's but it's not like the we're back that you know the internet
wants to feel all the time i think it i think you need like four or five uh consistent experiences
on multiple platforms to feel like because it's about the whole experience not just one singular thing
and that's also the danger of interconnectivity star wars luckily isn't interconnected but the idea
of a universe implies like consistency so we'll see what the
the next thing is but the show's fun i'm gonna branch outside of my typical sports analogies and i'm just
going to go with regular relationships right you go on one good date with somebody that does not mean that
they're your boyfriend or your girlfriend now it's after you go oh date just kind of five too wow date three
i felt like full on fireworks now all of a sudden you're like do i want this person of my life on the
regular and if they continue to prove to you that that's something that you're into all of a sudden
you're off to the races. So at this point, you got a good date one. Right. So basically don't get married in
Vegas. No. Yeah. Nick Alexander, coy, congratulations. The future for DC is brighter with you a part of it.
Creature Commandos is off to a great start and not afraid to earn that R rating. I'm very exciting to
see that DCU unfold, although I am highly disappointed that you didn't promote capes and cows. He didn't write
thank you for the kind words and my active promotion of capes and cows i am very very flattered that
dc reached out directly and that um basically like i've always wanted a studio making movies to see
everything as like one thing and dc studios truly sees tv shows uh tv shows movies and comics like
they they see what that is and it's such an honor that they brought me on to be a comic correspondent
because of that love for the comics themselves it's something i never thought would happen especially on
something as big as max so uh it is really freaking cool and i i'm so grateful so thank you uh Zach mine
talks movies coy so excited for your DC gig congrats people are very i'm sure you got a lot of love
from a lot of people it's been really cool because i'm i'm usually afraid to go on the internet
i'm usually afraid to read message boards much less youtube comments and i braved the youtube
comments on the announcement trailer and they were like
90% positive. I even went on Reddit and Reddit was nice to me.
I never read like I never look my name up and go this will go well.
So you want to check in you want to check in the therapy. You go to Reddit.
Yeah. No, the fact that I got out of Reddit and I was like my day's still okay.
And then the one of the fun experiences was Frankie like so Frankie and Tyler are the host of the show and I'm the comic correspondent.
Frankie is such a force of nature on social media and the internet. So on the big, um, like announcement on Instagram.
it's like all Frankie because she runs that domain and like she's the host of show and I'm so happy for
but what made me really happy was on the James Gunn post it's the niche of nerds and over there
people like oh my god they got coy so like it was really cool to see that like amongst our people
like yeah and then the greater internet all Frankie all day and I respect her for it but like the nerds knew
and I felt my street credit it felt nice that's awesome um armada says any interest in the black
dove show on Netflix it has Kira Knightley in it and it's a spy show that's six episodes
Also, congrats, Coy.
I know this is a Kendrick thing, but I say it in the Madhatter way.
Mustard.
Madhatter did it first.
I don't care.
It's not Kendricks.
It's the bad hatters.
You can't steal that.
It's the same way like when you say that, you know, people are stealing jokes from people.
He stole that from the Mad Hatter.
If you let me $100 today, I would hear Christian do mustard as the Mad Hatter.
I would have lost that.
That just came out of noise.
Coy, we're so excited you're going to be on the D.C. movie news.
I mean, I really want to see Christian.
I want you to wrap all of TV off in that voice.
See all of TV.
What is it?
The song's called TV off.
I want to see you just do the whole song.
Listen, I've been controversial way before Andrew Schultz.
All right, let's.
Okay, they don't want me talking about that stuff.
All right, here we go.
next one and this is Armada.
Breaking. Kendrick's on tour next year.
Also, Coy, can you confirm that Dice,
Andrew Dice Clay, is cast as booster gold?
Can confirm as a DC studio showcase insider.
I can't confirm the Dice Man has joy.
That's going to get clipped out.
Hey, listen, you want to see me with blonde hair?
And Kendrick's playing LA, two dates.
He added a second date yesterday.
And then he is selling out.
Toronto date.
Selling out Father's Day in Toronto.
at a stadium that Drake can't even book that's hilarious that is that to me is
absolutely hysterical that he decided to end his tour in Toronto on Father's Day
let me ask you a question though I'm sure that I'm sure they did a person
but boy let me ask you a question because you've been very vocal and we don't
get into this whole thing about about Drake and how much you are not a fan right
what if it turns out rappers yeah what if it turned what did you say the Big Bang
Theory of rappers yeah okay so let's say that Drake turns out to be a massive
DC fan and they're like hey we
got him on the show and he confronted you what would you do i would be so happy i would be
because like it would be such an honor to be known to someone at that level as a comic fan
that it reached him and i could be like yeah man you're a pop star and i respect your pop star work
but like it would be a really i mean it would be very intense i don't believe you i don't buy it
i would be honored in my own way um i don't know how i'd handle it on the day because i'm not going to be
in this situation but
It'd be great to have him in the studio and talk comics.
I'd be happy he's a comic fan.
I don't even know if he is a comic, I have no idea.
But if he was, I'd like him way more.
Like, that would give him something.
Wow.
Mirror domains.
What's your unpopular MCU opinion?
I like Iron Man too.
I like Thor Dark World.
And I said to as much to Winston when we were sitting there and I said,
this Thor, love, and thunder is a piece of crap.
I like, I like Dark World better.
And he goes, you're crazy.
I said, nope, I'm just sane.
I don't think that the Marvel is as bad as everybody says.
That's fine that people don't like it.
I don't disagree.
with people not liking it, but I just don't.
That's fine.
You want to call it unpopular?
You want you put the bag is in my face.
I don't care.
Quay?
I think Dark World's a little better than the Marvels.
I don't know if that's.
I think at least the elements of the brotherhood between Loki and Thor are honest.
And it feels more like the characters.
I feel like the problem with Marvels is they wrote one character and then split her
into three parts depending on whether they needed it to be comedic, dramatic, or intense.
And therefore, none of the characters still developed are important enough.
Like, the writing on that was not fair to like what, like, Nia Acosta is so capable and talented.
I don't know what happened.
But yeah, I'm going to give Dark World over the two of those personally.
Also, I just realized if Drake came into D.C.
He might sue me.
So I don't know because he's suing his own label.
So I don't know if that's a litigation.
You are really teaching yourself up for when he does show up to the show that he just eviscerates you.
And he would be very capable at, you know, singing a song at me.
We'll just see if you can actually do anything.
think about damn course coming out this you know this is the one that's one it's one show on a stream
platform and then he just he just he's getting too big for his you know this is the one that's going
to get clipped out too oh i just am acknowledging he's not my style i think he's a really really
capable style of music that isn't my thing and like that's what like sitcoms are for and that's
what network tv is for network tv is for a certain demographic that likes a certain type of thing
drake is that demographic he's a network tv star i like stuff this the headlines
line's going to say, Coy, Jean-Dro says Drake is days of our lives.
It's not far off. He does like his soap operatic concepts and very linear storytelling.
Holy moly. All right. Buster Barnes, Gunn said in a stream how Superman isn't an ensemble movie.
I never thought it was, but it was nice to hear that, considering some are convinced that it will be.
I don't, sorry, I don't think it will be either. I think we're going to get a lot of characters that will come in on certain scenes, but I think it's really going to focus in on the story of Clark.
What do you think, Winston?
I think it'll be very similar to Civil War, but turn it up a notch.
In the sense that if you really look at Civil War, yes, are the offenders around and they're doing things?
Is there the big airport battle?
Of course.
But go and actually watch that movie.
That movie is about Cap on that last leg trying to stop Bucky and then his other best friend, his new best friend.
It's essentially childhood best friend and college best friend.
And they don't like each other.
And so it's about him trying to deal with his two best friends not liking each other.
I am sure with Superman will get something similar.
Well, you'll see the JSA, because we're assuming that that's probably what that is,
as far as like Mr. Terrific and all that kind of stuff.
I'm sure we'll get plenty of that.
But then it comes back to this dude and being like,
well, what am I within this world?
And do I even want to acknowledge that?
But I also got my daily planet world.
I think that that's what we're going to get plenty of characters we know and like,
but it's about Superman.
100% agree.
and I also think that everyone looking for things to be mad at well before the movie comes out in seven months.
It's a great example of like, we got to see.
And I honestly think it never was an ensemble.
I'll keep using my real life example.
Like if someone watched the movie of our lives at one of the Schmodeown season finale and they got for like, you know,
me and Winston going at each other as managers, they would be encountering all of Winston's team,
all of my team, everyone on the crew, everyone in the Schmode.
that's like a cast of 40 people,
but you wouldn't be like this is an ensemble
if it was focusing on this one match.
It would just have all these characters.
I think people need to see the match
and they need to see what it is,
but I'm excited those characters get to be in it
because then we get to see,
oh, this person then gets their own adventure later
and we've already met them.
I think it's a great thing.
All right. Next one is Harry Myers says
for Rick Flagg, Joel,
I think his death is what's canon
and the events around it won't be mentioned
or elaborated on,
just the fact the peacemaker did it.
Probably.
And it's probably the way to go about it.
But then you say, oh, you know, it's like it is one of those things
where you're kind of picking and choosing of what it is and what it isn't.
I think the other thing that you could probably make an argument.
And I didn't even think about this until right now.
The villain of the suicide squad was Staro, which is a whole bunch of mind control.
So what's to say that there isn't a whole thing?
Oh, we don't really remember exactly what happened.
I mean, remember everybody was losing their minds.
Like they were controlled by that alien.
Like, that's not how it went.
Like, I think that that's actually a very,
easy out. Sure, but you just forget, but you forget who the Joker and Harley Quinn are too.
Well, but that's the whole thing. If, if, if anybody that quote unquote was there,
yeah, was technically undermined or whatever, then you could make the argument of like, I don't.
Well, yeah, I know, but, but what I remember was. So it's just a different person.
Exactly. It was like that that is in the same way that you feel like if we're telling a story and you go,
yeah, man, and there were like 20 dudes. Dude, there were 10 dudes. Right. I thought I thought it looked like
that actress have played Barbie, but I guess it wasn't.
But,
Buster Barnes, to be honest.
But not that Barbie, bro.
It was the one that was the weird Barbie.
Right, right, exactly.
Buster Barnes, to be honest, I don't think this
canon confusion will be that relevant past
Peacemaker season two anyway.
I liked how in Creature Commandos episode one, they
addressed it straight away. I agree with that. I like that they just
kind of dive right into it saying, look, we
need this to tell our story. So this is what it is.
Christian as someone not versed in the comics was it like the first two did they feel like
I'm connected to these characters and like was it immersive well because I think that I'm
I'm well aversed in James Gunn's style and that he's done teams before you know a few times so I knew
what I was getting into and was like oh this is exactly what I thought an animated James Gunn's
show would look like and feel like and sound like you know like all that stuff and as I clearly
I'm a Frank Rillo fan too I think he's perfectly cast for
Rick Flagg, Sr. and he's a good anchor to the whole thing because he's playing kind of the straight man
and bunch of these bunch of lunatics. So, and I like how you can take a classic character like
Frankenstein, you know, and make Frankenstein now part of this kind of weird, wacky world.
Bro, yeah. I just thought about this. How did, how did D.C. get the dark universe together
faster. I know. Totally true. Yeah. Armada. Maybe someday we'll get Suicide Squad versus Creature Commandos.
you think that'll ever happen task force x versus task force m seems plausible uh i mean i think it'd be
fun i think it's a great idea uh go pal some support this is particularly for winston thank you
and we're 44 guys so you need need 40 40 and 40 minutes we're past halfway so none of your kids
grow yeah 40 and 40 minutes all right brooklyn is a rumor the actor who played reed in the first
two fantastic four films was at the rap party for first steps do you think there will be a
council of reeds that be cool it seems a little early for that but if the if the idea that we've
already been established it sounds like it's not just that it takes place in the past but it sounds like
a different universe then i could see maybe the way they end up in the mcc u 616 universe is
maybe something to do with the reads doing that but but it's also just legacy things like i mean
you invite people that had taken place and stuff previously to stuff like that all the time so you
could have just been there just because it's like, hey, man, you know, you did, you want to come,
you want to come on kick it. You were read at one point. Like, John Krasinski was there. Like,
you know what I'm saying? Like, it is what it is. What do you think, Koi? I think both are plausible.
I definitely think, you know, you have writers and artists and stuff go to these wraps to celebrate the
character. So maybe that's why he was there, as Winston was saying. I also think the multiversal
element would allow them to tell a really big story, which I think they feel like they need to kick off
FF. Like FF isn't an Avengers film, but it's an Avengers release date.
and it's a really like impactful summer event movie like i think thunderbolts technically is the avengers
release release is a big july release introducing doom you know yeah like it's a huge so i think that you
could have the multiversal element be with silver surfer as well as reads and make that work agree i can't wait for
it like i i think fantastic four is going to be so big and then we'll be able to like dissect that
i think that's what i think a lot of people thought deadpool was going to be i think that's our big like
where things going and uh it'll be fun with the way the mc u's got
and to see what's after FF.
All right.
Next one.
This is Mad Sinister Macal.
Coy and Winston,
what's your worst theater experience?
The one that's sticking out of my mind right now
is just the most recent one I was telling about Venom the other day
and the fact that I was there and these two teenage girls did not watch the movie.
They were just had their phones out on TikTok talking the entire time.
And it was already a movie that like wasn't the best.
And so,
then to couple it with that, I just did not have a good time whatsoever. But that's just the most
recent one. So I'll go with that. I want to say, like, there's a few that come to mind. They're
usually just people talking or being on their phones. And even when you confront them,
them not stopping. And then it's like in polite society, what do you do after you tell someone to stop?
Like, it's a really tricky line to walk because, you know, society. But I think one of my worst was I watched a movie
that I was really into I think it was the juror or something like adult drama e and a dude fell asleep
and he just kept farting. And it was so it was like the mix of the snoring and the farting that it was
like and he was so old that I didn't want to like.
Oh, you can't say anything. Sir, please stop farting.
Yeah, because you just like you don't know if it's like medical.
Right. You feel guilty for being like sick by the sparts and also like the snoring mixed with
the farts was just so many sounds. It was like it was a 4 DX hell. We find the defendant
Guilty a first-degree murder.
What? I didn't realize I was even doing it.
All right.
I was the murdered.
Yeah.
Corn Emperor.
Feel better, Christian.
Thank you.
Appreciate that.
Yeah, I got to kick this stupid thing.
I've got to have to go antibiotics.
That was the one thing I was worried about, but I didn't have to.
Artem, never was a D.C. person and had no idea who creature commandos are.
But I heard that this is the sort of DC universe.
So now I'm in.
This is the start of the D.C. universe.
sorry um yeah i mean i think that that's it is that people want to see how it's going to begin
and see what james can clearly is passionate about this stuff and now mirror domains what story do you
want to see for sandman season two i need to finish sandman season one are they still doing
yeah yeah because because well because the dead boy detectives got canceled after one season so i
didn't know if they just scrapped it was it was it was a thing for a little bit where they didn't
know if it was going to get picked up and then it did but did you finish season one boy no i'm i'm way behind
I love Sandman.
It's actually one of those things I didn't think they could make
and then it was good.
It was excited to watch it on the camera.
What I saw was pretty good from the,
I think it's like four or five episodes.
I was two away from finishing and then life.
I,
because it was,
it was very,
very good,
but the problem was I stepped enough away where I was like,
I feel like I kind of have to start over
because this is very dense.
Yeah.
Um,
so,
yeah.
All right.
Um,
Swan King.
Hey,
crew,
happy Friday.
Since you guys are comedians and rap fans,
I was curious about the opinion on Andrew Schultz and Kendrick discourse.
It's so,
like it's always this one you there's no winning answering this question so
there really there really there isn't a winning of it i just think that like
even with even with making jokes and whatnot i just think the idea of then turning around and
your shultz's response of talking about buck breaking kendrick is just that that wasn't the
answer if you want to joke back about it fine you know you know what it is also as i was watching
I watched that clip yesterday and it really reminded me the comedy store back in like 2003.
The kind of shit that was going on to the comedy store, I remember I've told you guys.
I saw I saw a guy get blown by an 80 year old stripper on at two o'clock at two o'clock in the
morning where I almost threw up and Dave Taylor, comedian ran into the stall and said,
he's puking. Harloff is puking. It was that kind of blue Irish.
She went on Howard Stern a bunch of times after that too. But anyway, point is the kind of stuff
that went on in those clubs and the things that were said.
There were things that were said in that club
that have anybody said them on the internet today at all.
It's over for you.
It's over.
Tons of stuff.
Tons of things I can remember in my mind right now,
comedians saying famous comedians, saying things.
And I just think that there's a time and place.
And I think that if you're at the comedy store 2 in the morning
and you say that, you probably get away with it more
than saying it in a worldwide audience on a podcast.
And that was the whole thing. His podcast audience probably loved that. But it's knowing that that is not the darkness, the drinking, the whatever, that is a stand-up room that they've taken all the fun. I mean, they don't always have-
Because here's the difference, Winston, the difference, because here's the difference. If you're at the comedy store at two in the morning and that happens, guarantee, you could walk out, but if someone goes, you're at a comedy club at two in the morning, what do you expect? If you're browsing around the internet,
And someone sends you that clip, but you were just working for a second.
You weren't expecting to see that.
It's, it is a thousand percent because you already alluded to it.
There are jokes that I can do again in my set at a regular time for stand-up.
But if I'm doing stand-up at noon in broad daylight, at like, you know, even if it's at a college, it hits completely different.
I know.
The argument would be because he's basically, he's not changing who he is.
This is the way that he would talk to his friends.
If the cameras were off.
Right.
And that's what people probably like about is a.
fact this is just who he is it's what he does but that doesn't mean you're not
gonna offend people from doing it so it's like that's why I said it's a tricky
thing the answer the random I love this the random D-U-M-B channel I love that
congrats from Boston on the new gait coy I'm sure you'll do it I love the
channel boys keep up the good work thank you we're at 50 guys 30 you're only yeah
you're getting close 30 34 to tie let's get it 34 to tie with half an hour to go
possible artem movie scene idea podcasters talk about spider man just like jonah james and
always talks about spider man and it's you guys make this happen coy well he's working with dc he's
he's a traitor now he can't do that for us anymore well he can do it a dc i can be everywhere
i i love the idea of so the new spider man show that comes out in january i'm like really
excited for uh he's a streamer like instead of a like photographer which i think is smart because
like photography wouldn't sell to newspapers because newspapers don't really exist anymore.
So Spider-Man is a streamer.
It's cheeky because like web-slinging streaming.
But I think the idea of a Alex Jonesy Jonah is hilarious.
And I think that like that is such an easy line to make.
So I'd love to do something like that.
I mean, they already kind of did at the with the no way home.
No, the end of far from home and the no way home is that that's exactly what the Daily
Beak was.
since it was an Alex Jones test podcast.
Armada. I hope you get that James Gunn interview.
K.H. Tell K.
That's right. Working on it. Make it moves.
Tell coy. Okay. Next one.
And this one comes in again. Like I said, 51 guys. 51. Moving.
Don Rinaldo McWhiskey. Happy birthday, Mr. Winston A. Marshall.
Thank you. And then Roman. One for Winston. My heart's going out to you and the family.
Thank you. I genuinely appreciate that.
Roman follows that up and says one for Coy.
I'm congrats and excited for you.
It's great.
Thank you, man.
I'm so excited.
Swan King.
Will an MCU actor ever win an Oscar?
After Angela Bassett didn't win for her scene in the throne room in Wakanda forever,
one of the most powerful scenes in the MCU, it's hard to see anyone topping that.
I don't disagree.
I thought she was a shoe in.
And I think she lost because it was a Marvel movie, to be completely honest with you.
Which is wild because, like, you gave Leo.
it as a legacy in the Revenant when we know damn well that wasn't even remotely close to some
of his best should have got it Oscar moments. And I, and I, it's not to say that Jamie Lee Curtis
wasn't good, but in my mind, she was a distant third behind Angela and then Stephanie. So like,
I don't, I don't know, honestly. You'll, you'll get it for special effects. You'll get it for
costumes. I don't know if any actor or a writer, director will ever win. Yeah, I'm with you.
I think there's a certain like snootiness that is like, uh, genre films. I mean, it's
took till return of the king for Lord of the Rings and then it got a ton but it took till that and that kind of felt like the equivalent of Leo's Revenant like a legacy win for these incredible films so like I don't know what it would take for an actor if not Angela Bassett because that performance was insane that was so powerful and it just happened to have that banner in front of it so they were like ah the random channel oof Christian must be under the weather to let Winston get away with saying let them cook or maybe he just let it go because it's Winston's birthday the latter
Dorek one for KH feel better sorry I keep taking your answers from my own
questions oh you're all good your favorite and least favorite biopic
performance oh man I it's always tough for me when the list because like there's
gonna be ones that I remember later on you know the first one that pops in a
mind and I don't even think it's the best is Valcimer is Jim Morrison I love
I love that one and just seen as a kid I just saw and I can't I don't think
I can't talk about it too much I think Timothy shallame is brilliant as Bob Dylan
yeah he's really good
is Bob Dylan. That kid's a special actor, man.
I don't know. I have to go least favorite. Hunter S. Thompson is
one of my, Hunter is Thompson is my favorite writer of all time and Johnny Depp literally
doesn't speak the same after playing him. Like he became so Hunter that he's now got
Hunter's cadence. So I think that then that performance is amazing. I'm going to go fear and
low. I don't know. I don't know the least favorite. I'm not sure. Uh,
probably favorite. I'll either go with, uh, Jamie is Ray Charles.
because I honestly
there's a reason
you want an Oscar and I and genuinely
will as as Ali not to just
go with two black actors doing that
but I think the both of them knock that out of the
park personally oh I do love
Leonardo Caprio as Jordan Balfort
for sure
Joaquin and walked the line is insane
like the singing and everything like he captured
that character yeah
if you're looking at full biopics
I don't know but I mean like if you're just looking at
people who played real characters
you could look at Liam Neeson
as Schindler, which is another great one.
Freaking Daniel DeLewis as as Lincoln.
There's a pretty good ones there.
I did not like Natalie Portman as Jackie.
Oh, really? Okay.
I thought her accent was like her, whatever she was trying to do for her,
for Jackie's voice, I thought was going in and out too much that it took me out of it.
Okay. Interesting.
I have to look at some of the other ones to see at the least,
but that's what I got right there.
Thank you, Roman, as always.
Sun Zoo, endurance rotation, 67, 68, RPMs.
Okay, get to match our spin with the retro thrusters.
Does that make sense at all?
Oh, it's when McConaughey is docking with the spinning.
It's not possible.
No, it's necessary.
Happy birthday interstellar.
There you go.
Perfect.
I just watched it for the first time in 10 years.
So there you go.
So you got it.
So, Koi, before, you know, we have our clips channel that I put all the interview
clips on.
Right before we got on here, I made sure I scheduled it out.
It's live now, but I have Frank Willow actually talking about not only the fact that Warrior TV show is coming, that he was asked to be in it.
That's one clip.
But he told me a story that he watched, so he watched Warrior with Robert De Niro in a theater alone.
And De Niro cried.
It's like a great story.
That's a, what a clip.
That's, I got a lot.
That's exciting.
It's, it just says Robert De Niro cried during watching Warrior and it was sobbing.
Sobbing was the answer.
was the you know i i went out for a cinnamon girl the anthony timbacus uh the the team behind warrior um
and and i was like with that team for the first two episodes and never got picked up to pilot
but i was like fighting to get on that show because i mean you know it's my favorite sports movie
right okay uh don rinaldo also i know there's so many but where's a favorite place to get pizza
right now and where here in new york i mean i always say in manhattan i always say prince
i always say prince street in in you're going into the city sorry prince street out here's pretty good too i was
surprise the one of the Arby's not bad you know what it is it Prince Street in L.A. is only good when it comes
right out of the oven I've had it it's a drive-thru there it's right literally
to you okay there's one oh there's one in the valley now yeah there's one deep
valley one surface valley and then Prince Street in Hollywood yeah the one in Hollywood
yeah wicked art yes to capes and cows cosplay hell yeah that'd be interesting
Swan King man what a year it's been for TV penguin lioness Shogun the gentleman X-Men
97 what's a show you'd recommend from 2024 for me it's definitely arcane i'm like uh three episodes
into rn k arcane my daughter is desperately getting trying to get me to watch the rest of it with her um
i would i'd have to say penguin right now is the one that that's that and uh house of the dragon that was this
year too right that was this year as well um if i'm gonna go with something that isn't always talked about
english teacher oh i heard it's pretty good it was fantastic like it gave you it
It gave me if Abbott and always sunny, ironic they're doing a crossover.
But if Abed and always had a baby, yeah.
I think Penguin's the best show in years.
I know it happens to be comic bookie, but it's sensational without that.
It shows perfect.
Okay.
So next one here is from Wicked Art.
It says, happy early birthday, Winston.
And congrats the Coy.
52, gentlemen, 52 with a half an hour left and 30, 32 at a tie.
42 to tie.
We got this.
Julius Wyatt when I'm humming popular people give me weird stairs
Yes, I'm a dude of my 20s singing wicked leave me alone can't believe it's one of my favorite of the year
Have you guys seen it? Yeah, that's so impressive very very good very solid film probably get nominated I think for best picture
I think it should it's so good I don't think it should win but I think it should definitely be nominated Don rinaldo McWhiskey
What's better for the winter bulking system two days a week full body or bro split? Man
chest and shoulders, Tuesday back and bicep, Wednesday legs for the one person who works out.
Go ahead, Corey.
100% the bro split.
I do push, pull legs, push, pull legs, because if you're fatigued in the upper body,
you've got a leg to break it up.
And you're going to get 20 to 40% more testosterone out of leg workouts.
So that's going to fuel your upper body workouts.
So if you have the double leg split by doing push, pull legs, you're going to fuel your
whole body throughout the week.
Plus, you're going to up your metabolic rate by a lot more by having the days that you're
not working those groups, fueling those muscle groups.
Bro split all day.
I'm curious because the way I would typically go about it is I actually do a full body on Monday.
Then I go chest try shoulders on Tuesday.
I take Wednesday off.
I go back by Thursday and then I do legs on Friday.
Like I that way you're kind of getting that extra day in and just by even typically the full body day.
I'll focus on my core stuff.
But I don't know.
I throw in a little bit more legs in the full body day then if you're only doing one leg day.
But that's just me.
uh koi apparently dc podcast is live now huh uh yeah drop today i haven't watched it yet i'm really excited
to check that out chris jones hey christian thank you for getting me into dark matter you're welcome i love
it have any of you guys seen the max movie catto lake no i heard that it wasn't that great though
that's one with dylan o'brien right i heard it was kind of weird not good is that not true
i don't know anything about it uh swan king just trying to get the boys over the top this week
Winston and Coy, what's an anime you'd recommend for Christian?
Attack on Titan, that's what everybody says.
Attack on Titan would be a good one.
You're kind of, you'd like mysteries, don't you?
Yeah, mystery sci-fi.
Or, like, because this one in particular, I mean, I think you would actually really enjoy Death Note,
and that is the, it is kind of a cat and mouse situation of a mass murderer versus the detective
trying to catch him.
So I feel like you would really enjoy that.
I'm interested.
Gregal Z is, I think, like, the gateway drug anime.
I don't love anime.
My big thing of anime is the, when they like faint or yell or like all the big, big, big energy over the top, like, it feels like when an actor doesn't know how to act.
And I know that's a style and like anime just does a lot of that.
Like everything is a lot.
What's so funny is that.
No, it's so funny that you say that because I don't even watch anime, but I know exactly what you're talking about.
That energy just kind of, it's like how influencers act at events.
I just don't like
Or holding the holding the thing
Fidel
Been silently
Watching capes and cows for two years
But breaking my silence
Because of the Corey DC news
Filling a void I didn't know existed
Have you filmed episode two
If yes
Is there anything you can tease?
I can tease
We have filmed more than one
It is coming out every other Friday
And I can tease that
The interview with Jim Lee
Is one of the most
surreal things as a comic fan to have gone through because of how we do the interview is really really
like comicky and insane and it's jim lee so it's so cool is that it's on the dc youtube channel right
yeah it should be i i literally is supposed to drop today and haven't seen it so i i don't know that's on
max uh max's youtube or dc's youtube but i know it's on max streaming well coy and this is from fidel again
who says in case you didn't take the bait on my first question many signs are pointing to the
Superman trailer dropping before the second episode of the DC podcast blink twice if you know
anything nothing okay all right try to get him fire how bro how you go get fired on your day off
how are they trying to do this to you I didn't blink no he did no but they tried I don't know they're
between between the Drake and that um so even my own cameras trying to get me at yes the random channel
coy coy boy would slap that punk Drake back to degrassy junior high so this is what
random he'd sue me though like if the dude is suing his own record label like that's that's why when
you asked how i'd handle it i don't know because if i spoke too harshly he may get offended
uh armada happy early birthday to winston thank you thank you drew 94 great show guys i'm curious
how much a supergirl we will see in superman is it just a cameo will she make a wonder woman bvs
like appearance i think it's gonna be post credit scene you're gonna be post credit yeah i think
to post credit i think that's going to set up her movie what do you guys think that's really interesting
i didn't even considered that for some reason um i i really think it's going to feel cool to know there's
a different tone in the supergirl character so i'd want to see you know enough of her but also
a post credit could allow them to show the actual tone of her movie so yeah yeah that's really
interesting i could see that too i don't i don't think we're going to get a super lot of her no pun intended
but i wouldn't be surprised if just by the nature of lex and his whole thing he could
since he can't ever really beat Superman toe to toe that maybe if this other
kryptonian is running around somewhere that he could like use that as a point to go see they're
evil like i don't i don't know i'm curious go pal i don't know from rap but this is reminding me
that i need to go revisit degrossi it still slaps i'm sorry it is the greatest like teenage
soap opera ever bro like that one time when emma was down at the ravine then all of a sudden she got that
throat thing that I can't talk about on the
internet's like you know where you got to go get the
drugs for it man that show
it went there hilarious
Vincent Zawada
Drake is the driving Miss Daisy
of rap music
damn
this guy's just getting shit on this whole show
yes Cates Don Ronaldo
I feel like most of this Drake haters
are just piling on and have no real
opinions if they own
not all but most
my thing is that it is popular to
on him right now, but that doesn't mean it's not deserved.
I mean, look, I have said this multiple times is that kind of when Koi put that up there,
he was like, he is not alleged.
I said, stop it.
He is in the sense that considering with the run that he's been on, the people that he
has genuinely worked with, if you want to say what Kendrick said and not like us of all
these other rappers were not, Wayne still supports him and things that have been going on
and stuff like that.
There is plenty of merit to say that Drake has done his thing, but that does not mean
that the things he's being called out for are not accurate and don't need to happen.
McDonald's is very popular worldwide and many people have done ads for McDonald's.
Wow.
Adam Rosalind.
Christian, my man.
What do you think is the most credible UAP documentary?
Mine is moment of contact.
I would say same director with James Fox is the phenomenon or the one that got me into the whole topic,
which is investigating the unknown, which is the UAP doc on National Geographic,
that four five part series i think it was but i haven't really announced this yet and i i was planning on
waiting because it's it's locked in i just haven't shot it yet but james fox who directed those
documentary and the one that you wrote with moment moment of contact i'm interviewing him next tuesday he's
going to be a he's got a new he's got a new documentary called the program coming out which is
supposed to be pretty um pretty explosive so i'm going to take a look at that and then i'm going to interview
him so we'll see but that one could be depending on uh what happens sun zoo hbd winston congrats coy
happy birthday obviously that piece you did with abdul martin which was super dope by the way i think more
actors and actresses should link up with you to better prepare themselves for the roles what what was
that was that from uh so me and yaya uh we we did an episode of comic book shopping back of the day but we also
but we stayed in touch so uh i got to talk to him about some other stuff and now he's doing uh you know
some really really big stuff with wonder man so uh yeah yeah yeah is one of the most passionate comic
fans that didn't start like he loves comics but now he's like a comic fan and his quote to this
day like he he went to college and got two degrees one in liberal arts one in architecture because he
said that if they weren't going to put him on the stage he was going to build it himself and that's who
that dude is and i love me and yaya we just me and yi the randum the random channel i think the
canon and clarity in peacemaker season two will be as simple as hark court saying
weird that Justice League showed up back on the farm and peacemaker saying you lost a little
blood back there. I think you've imagined that. You think they do something like that?
It's almost like what Winston was saying with the suicide squad thing.
Honestly, I think that that would be like a that would be the kind of tongue and cheek humor that
that gun does that would make the most sense to explain. Yeah. And that's the fun of like,
you know, doing it with that kind of continuity. I'm really curious how because it sounds like
they will address it yeah uh ian davis you three are absolute legends love the show every week
what are your top three disney pixar films hmm disney and pixar or just pixar because
disson yeah let's just go pixar because disney you're gonna um i mean probably the first toy story
is just still the best um i i like the incredible but i don't put it in my top three and everybody
loves that one i have to think of the other i mean
uh yeah i don't know toy story soul and i think i think wali because i think about wally a lot
i but finding nemo's in there oh nemo's so good yeah but for me soul was the first one since
toy story that i was like this is like a piece of my identity it like really informs how i think
your creativity and i think kids learning that sometimes you don't have to succeed to be happy
is important yeah uh i gotta probably go
Incredibles
Coco
and
inside out
inside out
those two newer ones
inside out
inside out's pretty damn good
so I might throw that in there too
I'm not sure
maybe Monsters Inc. I don't know
okay
Boston lady
I love your show
Corey thank you Corey
very nice to you Don Ronaldo
another one thank you Don
what number we at
sorry to interrupt
60.
I think of 15 minutes to get 20 to tie with 24.
Might be tough.
Kobe, that's Kobe's number.
I think we'll be all right.
Come on, y'all.
It's a me, Steve.
For each of your favorite interviews that you've done, fly,
for each of your favorite interviews that you've done.
Oh, that's a good question.
Let me see.
I mean, it was only about three minutes,
but if you go to the short form,
it's probably still long.
that's so cool I got I got him to laugh because I had that's incredible I had the
Italian shirt I had the Italian selling shirt on I said I know my brother gave
me this he goes look at that chest I go the chest is embarrassing and he started
laughing at that and I was like so he was great and he also followed up on a
Collider Live thing that we did but I'll tell you the freaking um the full on
interview that I really liked was a kid from Bronx tail Lilo you after he got out of
jail he came in he talked I mean that was about as candid and like as 60 minutes
as I ever got.
So there's tons of them.
But it's funny, people to mention that James Gunn.
Let me ask you guys a question.
Let's see how well you know me.
And think about it.
Don't just spur it out.
If Superman, if Superman, it was the Superman release date,
if Superman was coming out that week,
Julie Roberts did not have a movie coming out.
And someone said, you got Julia Roberts or you got James Gunn.
Who am I choosing?
Probably Julie Roberts.
What do you think, Corey?
I think you want the numbers.
I'm going to go James Gunn.
Winston's absolutely correct. All right.
So what's your I was thinking.
I was okay with this.
What is interviewing for an hour?
100%.
She should want to be there.
My favorite,
it's probably a three-way tie between Lawrence Fishburn,
Henry Cavill and Chris Evans.
All three of them,
incredibly personal.
They want to engage with you.
They were all awesome.
Jake Gyllenhauls got to be up there because it was in London.
And he's been one of my favorite actors.
since I was a kid and it was like really surreal and we got like the first part of the interview
was very like oh we're doing an interview and then once I realized that he thought I only watched
comic movies and I explained like what I am he like opened up differently so it was cool to see
a skill set happen with someone you love but I think my most fun is there was a time where I was
not doing interviews I was walking at carpet and then Greg interviewed me because uh he was like
he had not done many red carpets and then Jack came and crashed it so me and Jack Quaid did an
interview together at Greg that's awesome that's awesome uh rochmith coin winston what's up with the authority
movie there's no director no writer and one cast member so far do you think that gun might write
or possibly direct that as a follow up to superman if not him then who would you want i mean i think
probably what's going on is the same thing gun has now been quoted and saying a couple times he goes
i'm not pushing anything if the story ain't there and i think that like while while superman
you kind of had to go straight out the gate because you're like this is going to be our keystone to
start this all off i think like everything else we still haven't really heard who batman is but that's
because he's not really ready to do that so i think with the authority he's just not ready yet they
don't feel like they that it's it's geared up and that's why we haven't heard anything i i think they
want things to be at a certain level when they announce more like if something is happening
versus something is going forward in the present.
Like, we're getting it, but if it's going to be like,
and now it's on track, I just think they're waiting
till it's on the track before saying it is,
which I think is a really healthy way to handle a rollout.
Roman Fedorak, National Board of Review put out their top 11 of the year.
Wicked won best film for them,
bum that they left Dune 2 off the list.
Yeah, I don't find that list credible if it's not even on the list.
June 2 is still my favorite movie year.
I loved Wicked.
Oh, sorry, to answer your other question, though,
either Matthew Vaughn who hits Mrs.
or Guy Ritchie on the authority.
Good, good choices.
And also, I'm so curious what the list is to do that.
But what, who did this?
National Board of not being relevant, I think it's called.
Oh, National Board of Review.
You don't put Dune in there.
That goes back to the conversation we have with Angela Baster.
That's because it's a sci-fi movie.
I have no, it's not in the top.
It's not in the top 11.
That's stupid.
That's a stupid list.
And it sucks because it validates the rest of the list.
Yeah, right.
Now I don't care to read it.
And that's exactly.
Even it was number 11.
Even if it was number 11 and wicked one, that has nothing to do with it.
It's just like it's not on the list.
Your list is irrelevant.
Your list is irrelevant and it smells like old eggs.
So it's wicked, uh, anora, baby girl, complete unknown, conclay, Furiosa,
Gladiator 2 jury number.
Gladiator 2 over June.
That's gladiator 2.
Queer a real pain and sing-sing.
I like gladiator 2, but it's a,
put gladiator two over dune two you should have your you should have your list privileges revoked uh the dart
double o five what can we expect from hawk girl in the new movie i think the same thing that we can
expect from a majority of the people that are kind of in that jsa situation they're going to be involved
there's probably some fight i think coy and i both were on the same page months ago that it's kind of
like superman kind of comes into this world where these like heroes exist and maybe he doesn't necessarily
like how they do things and he's taking what he learned growing up from ma and pa and what he
stands for and trying to bring a different level of hope to the world if the jsa even feels like
maybe there are a little too like bending rules type stuff little too close to lex's blend like gray
morality type situation and superman being just something different okay uh all of that i totally agree
what what are we got we got to be close i saw a surge 67 67 you got we got we got to
Try to try to do it. Let's see.
Spidey Sensey, 72.
Do you think the animated James Gunn and Creature Commandos is an homage to the Stephen
J. Cannell signout from all his shows in the 80s? I think so, yeah.
That's great. Yeah, I think so. Good call.
EWalk. Hey, guys, joining late. So just wanted to send some support. I'll catch the full stream
later. Thank you, EWalk. Appreciate that's very nice. Getting you guys to 67, leaving you 17 to
Tyroxie with seven minutes to go. Come on, y'all. Don Rinaldo. Mick Whiskey.
next week I'm fixing to pepper Christian with Brazilian jiu jitsu questions
hey Christian what's better ghi or no gee I'm gonna answer to say oh you know what's
funny is that you haven't seen this yet so Matt Sarah we did a whole Q&A episode with him
and someone asked them that question I was listening and intently
and I would say you know just it depends on it and it depends I don't have any
answer to you is because I haven't started training yet so I don't want to
disrespect the crap by answering anything that I don't have an opinion on yet
but he has been asking me every time he comes in he's gonna he's gonna want him choking me out if I don't go
soon after this cold I think you're out of excuses I know you've got to get better and I know Chris bench
do you all think the new Superman will change his origin like in the new absolute comics I don't
think they're gonna really explain it too much I don't think it's gonna be an origin movie I don't
know but I would assume because he said as much that like that's not the plan but I don't
think they would change it I just think it won't be like an origin tale also absolute is
is so different from from everything they're like they're certainly not going to go that route and if
they do we need to have a very serious conversation because i love what they're doing at absolute
but oh my god no don't do this uh adit mohammed says should the yankees pay won soto 700 million
yes because they have it and and because he just feels like a yankee to me he really does and
excitement that he doesn't feel like Alex Rodriguez did when he came in like a hired gun he feels
like he wants to be there and you can and he's young and you can you can you can really center the
team around him and even though he didn't show up too much in the world series he didn't i love
aaron judge barren judge shit the bet so um armada uh let's see DJ Khalid all I do is win win win
no matter what thank you're on Julius Wyatt the Incredibles is the best fantastic four movie that's
right now that's true
So far, so, yeah, that's real.
That's true. Swan King, Star Wars Vision, season three was announced last week.
Would this count as a win for Lucasfilm going forward if it's good or a separate thing like Deadpool and Wolverine?
Separate.
Because it's the same thing.
It's like, I told you, that team that's making that series is the team that shouldn't be touched.
The team that's doing visions, the team that's doing the animated shows and the comics, you leave them alone.
They're doing good work, the video games, you leave them alone.
It's the people doing the film and the TV.
they're not doing this.
They're not running.
The live action people and the head top people,
they're not doing this.
So, no, it's not a win.
It's a win for the people who are making it
because they get to make quality stuff.
Chris Bench, Skeleton crew, my girls say,
was that Urkel?
That's hilarious.
And yes, it was.
You know that Urkel's in it, right?
Yeah, yeah, that's part of the reason
why you interviewed him, right?
Well, I thought that was why originally
I was interviewing him.
I thought that, oh, they'd want me to interview him
because of skeleton crew but no he was there to promote his book you he couldn't even talk about
skeleton crew at that time oh wow yeah yeah spidey sense say 72 james gun did an instagram live with coy's
co-host where was coy uh they wanted just that host because three against one in a zoom is like that's
i mean you guys interview people that's a lot so i like yeah i don't want to be like hey james nice to meet you
you know you need a one-on-one yep so i was okay all right indiana jake any dc character that you'd give a
modern tweak for live action.
Mine is Psycho Pirate. Cool character
but needs a new name. I don't know the answer to this question.
Psycho Pirate can do a lot of like psychological damage.
So it'd be a very interesting take on like a Fincher-esque director handling him.
Yeah, his name would have to be like someone would have to joke.
Like the name would not translate, but it's a really cool character if they could land that tone.
Yeah.
All right.
So evil John Madden's in here.
And, Corey, I'm going to rephrase his question because I want to make sure, because
He likes to poke.
So he says,
Coy is a serious question,
not trying to poke the bear.
Are you celebrating Kwanza now?
I would,
if she is hot enough,
not going to ask Winston.
That would be generalization.
Wow.
It's fine.
I actually do.
You do, right?
I do celebrate Kwanza.
So yeah,
that's not,
it's fine.
I just,
it is a thousand percent,
not a universal thing
that any black person does.
So it's up to,
does your fiancee do that?
She does not we do we do Christmas in the most abstractive sense because neither of us are religious
But I sure do like trees and presents there you go richard okatura happy birthday winston hey coy feel
better christian thank you richard you guys are awesome will superman be the best superhero movie next
year i don't know i mean it's got the potential to be i hope it is like i i i don't i'm looking
forward to it i'm really excited for it and it's probably one of my most anticipated but i i can't say whether
it's going to be the best because i haven't seen it yeah i it's it is it is it is
amongst my most anticipated movies ever since I've been covering movies but until a movie is shown I can't
judge it um rollo to massey with the final one guys so far unless people come in here
would love to see green lantern show treat willpower energy of the ring like star war or something star
i mean to read that again would like to see green lantern show treat the willpower energy of the ring
like jetti treat the force a deep physiological force a most
like a religion. I can't, I'm so, the sickness is getting to me.
I'll do it. Yeah. Essentially that the will, the willpower to make the rings go is similar to the
force where it's like binding the universe type stuff. They got to tap into it if they're not
connected to things. I don't hate the idea. I mean, that's sort of what is supposed to be the
case with the various rings on the spectrum, including I'm sure, Koi, you've read the opening
of Justice League Unlimited. So then Star Sapphire even being like, no, you got to think of somebody
you love that's the only way you can heal like i i i yeah i agree and the emotional element of that's a
great example of tying things because the villains do it with anger and like rage and then i've always
loved that kyle rayner has a creativity element like i think i've got you can see uh kyle rayner's my
favorite lantern and like he's an artist so when he's more creatively empowered his green
lantern ring is stronger because it anchors to what his thing is so i would love if they make that a
through line and lanterns where it is something like the force where it is something that has layers and
philosophy tied to it final blitz mark come on y'all you can do this oh yeah
it's happening just happen you hit 70 you need 13 in a minute I think rocks he's got
you well 71 71 come on one dollar one dollar right now let's see wicked art do you think
they will do night crawler right in live action he is my favorite character and I haven't liked
how they handled him overall I liked what they did with him in xx2
I like him in X2.
I think there's a lot more to him,
but I think that you have to consider when X2 came out.
Like X2 was not when superhero movies are what they are today.
So it did a great job for its time.
And it blew me away.
X2 was such an incredible experience.
And Nightcala was a highlight of it.
But I would love to see more of a swashbuckling.
I'd love to see more of like the hot elf.
You know, I personally now would see like a Shalamay in the role, like a heartthrob.
I'd love to see like.
And I know they're like the new hot young actors that get fancast and everything,
but that's kind of what you need for the X-Men is hot young actors,
like an Austin Butler Gambit and a Shalameh.
And like do that angle.
If you're going to go with that era of X-Men,
make it a hot teen soap opera.
And I'd love to see that in my crawler.
Yeah,
I think that that would be really dope.
Give me some of what you got an X-2 because I think it's always interesting to talk about
how he feels about how he looks and how his religion kind of keeps him anchored.
But yeah, give me.
give me swashbuckling give him a full beard you know night crawler i'm here for it all right
also there's some great connotations of him looking like a demon and being so religious and like
the turmoil he goes through and humanity fails him i'd love to see us get enough time with night crawler
like he's not quite storm for me where i want a whole movie but if night crawler got announced as a
movie i could see how you'd fill a two hour like he's a leading character if they let him be so
i see why you didn't love x2 but i definitely think going for we could uh julius wyatt
rank my favorite movies of all time Lord of the Rings hard for me I look at them all as like one big epic movie to be honest with you but if I had to I would say towers king fellowship but I but I like them all the same that's what I would say I really had a appreciation for them but they're not really my thing but I would say towers king fellowship uh I would say towers is my favorite of them and the video game is like one of my favorite video games of all time back when I used to game that PS2 game is amazing so it has like such a like a whole year I celebrated two towers um
And then for me, return of the king just has a little bit too many endings.
So it can't like be.
So I'm going to go fellowship and then return of the king just to mix it up because of the amount of endings.
Okay.
D.C.
Cogami.
Do you think that Cassandra Kane should be introed in the DCU?
Not yet.
I love the idea of the bat family.
I think that the benefit of Matt Reeves universe staying so contained and to itself is that then you can go the other way so hardcore in the DCU.
but if you introduce too many robins, too many bat people, too many,
then they kind of dilute themselves.
So I think personally a lot of the Batman comics that have too many robins,
I don't care about the Robbins because there's so many.
But if you have a Bat girl or a Robin or even like Nightwing and Red Hood and a Robin,
like you can build out the family,
but if you start too fast with like a bat family of 12 and I think Cassandra Kane's
kind of a legacy bat family member like you have to get to her,
I think in 10 years, yes, but I think if you do it too,
too soon then you dilute the bat brand you're stalling and i like i like what you're doing but
we got with now i i i wanted to answer that i was like i want to see that like an r pg where
where give me a character every like kind of like chapter beat so like you know start off and you just
get your one companion and then it was like man oh you're you have the same mission let's do like
and move it that way don't give me everything at once how close are we because that was a good answer
mr nerd fanatic put in a dollar so to do i's the dart double five
