Starting point is 00:00:00 The first reactions for Captain America, Brave New World are in the initial reactions, the social reactions, as Mike Kalinowski tweeted, seemed to be all in line. Did that how great it was? And then the reviews started coming out, not so good. Currently rotten on rotten tomatoes. Does that mean anything? How's this movie going to do overall? some of the reviews like my own are just kind of like the movie is fine and then other ones scathing so
Starting point is 00:00:37 what are audiences going to think of the new cap we'll talk about that I'll give a couple non-spoiler thoughts we'll get into it I thought strange enough I thought Mike Kalanowski actually had a decent tweet the other day and we'll talk about his tweet but there's other things we're going to discuss one of the stories that I saw that I absolutely loved. There's been this talk about a spaceball sequel for a while. Apparently Ariana Grande is up for a role, and we'll talk about that. We will discuss some of the stuff going on with Jack Ryan. Lord of the Rings somehow got a season three renewed, so we'll discuss that.
Starting point is 00:01:11 Steph Sabra is probably pretty happy about that, so we'll talk about that. And then we will watch Mike Kalanowski slam his head into the desk when I tell him the number that he is to catch up to today with Roxy Streyer. So that being said, it's the Christian Harlov show with Mike Kalanowski, Steph Sabraa. And you guys. So thanks for being here. We appreciate it. It wasn't Kendrick Lamar. It was the Mad Hatter who said it first.
Starting point is 00:01:39 Let's get into it. Welcome back to the show, ladies and gentlemen. It is Thursday on the Christian Harlow show joining me today. Steph Sabra. Hello, Steph. How are you? Hi. Good.
Starting point is 00:02:00 How are you? You're one of the few people that I actually agree with me that the Matt Hatter said at first. That is hysterical. And it's true. That is funny. Stolen. Stolen. Stolen.
Starting point is 00:02:11 And Mike Kalanowski is here. Hello, Michael. I don't like the intro with the number talk already. I don't want to think about it. You get nervous? I don't want to think about it. You want to know what that number is? Can I take a guess?
Starting point is 00:02:25 Sure. Was it Roxy by herself? By herself. All right. Nothing new. When did your, cap review dropped yesterday or the day?
Starting point is 00:02:33 Afterwards. It wasn't, it was, I don't know what her topic was. It wasn't anything too big. I'm going to go 218. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Wow, that's a big number. And Steph, 40 last week. What do you think, Steph? 170. All right. Now I got to put a close-up on Mike when I tell you the number.
Starting point is 00:02:55 The number is 242. Perfect. And that was all, And that was with the new rule that it's not stickers. No stickers. No stickers. Wow, good. Go off, Queen.
Starting point is 00:03:13 That's pretty awesome. Crystal, who got her over the top with these super stickers last time. I thought, oh yeah, so no super stickers. So Roxy has never had numbers like that ever. So what? Crystal. Crystal has been, Crystal. All you need is one person to believe in you, Mike.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Yeah, that's really what it is. Because Derek, Derek came in for Rokoff and. Roka again was at like 190 this week. And Roxy then just again, not only breaks her record, breaks your record, Steph, last week, breaks her record this week. Yeah, and breaks his balls, 100%.
Starting point is 00:03:51 So good luck. I just did it for the fun today. I don't, you know, hey. Well, look, hey, you got 11 so far. That doesn't have anything. You guys need a crystal or a Derek. That's what you need. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:03 No, let me ask you this. Is Crystal like a rock? die hard that's what i'm saying you need one person to believe in you like crystal you're so she's a fan of the show she's in no she's in a lot but she you normally see her supporting heavily when roxy's in here okay all right yeah and then that's the same like derrick derrick you like i said you guys needed a derrick or crystal and we'll see but right now you're in the shits um but all the years of you guys in the schmodown and i gave there
Starting point is 00:04:32 made you laugh and gave you enjoyment you can't come to my aid. Well, I'm not going to come to your aid because I had a good segue and you blew it. Um, because Captain America also needs some help. And this is what is going on right now. This is the reviews are in for Captain America, Brave New World. Dark Horizons reporting Marvel Studios unveils its Captain America, Brave New World is in cinemas on Friday, but reviews are now in and they're not kind. 1111 reviews counted. The film is pulling in just a 52% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's the third worst film score for the MCU to date ahead of only Eternals at 47,
Starting point is 00:05:13 Antman at the Lost, Quantumania, 46, which is insane that love and thunder isn't in there and the Marvels, which is crazy. What's the Marvels have? The Marvels is 62? Get out of here. Diculous. It sits just behind secret invasion, and the Marvels at 62. 62.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Good Lord, it's the nicest thing I've ever seen anyone do about anything. On Metacritic, it sits at just 43 out of 100, which is on par with Dark Phoenix. It is a far better movie than the Marvels, by the way, far better. Here's a sampling of reviews which don't paint a kind picture. Pacey and Punchy, this is a promising first official outing for the new Captain America, even if some awkward and insist on moments hold it back from greatness. Okay, Helen? Making matters far worse is the film's blatant plan to be an inoffensive and apolitical as possible.
Starting point is 00:05:59 As a result, he's someone who's reading into it too much. Brave New World is a bunch of characters wandering around in search of meaning. I don't disagree with that. The Marvel Machine creaking lallies, it tries to whip up some grand mythos around these B-tier figures. I don't necessarily disagree with that. Director Julius Ona does well with the action, but fumbles the quieter moments. I think there's some stuff in the beginning that he fumbles. And suffices editing that the opposite of crisp.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Don't disagree with that, not helped by the script writers who are military, language, and grandiose sentiment. So far, some of these I'm agreeing with. If Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a streaming series that occasionally approached the cinematic, Brave New World often feels like TV in the big screen. I said as much on my review. Unfortunately, Captain America Brave World provides a lackluster Marvel entry that feels as if it's complicated storyline has been painstakingly worked out without a shred of inspiration. All right, a lot of this stuff I'm actually agreeing with, but the reading into and just the first few poop, there's nothing to, nothing brave about this movie.
Starting point is 00:06:58 there's nothing new either and sure it technically takes place in the world but one out of three is bad it's from bibbs uh and strangely enough agreeing with what bibbs is saying here but um here's the thing we we talked about this movie guys a few different times right and those scenes that came out last week stuff i was saying oh my god they look horrible and they're not good right those scenes are not good they're in the movie and they're they're not good and i still don't understand why the one motorcycle just drives off the road without even getting it makes no sense um roxy and i on a completely different page when she was talking about how great Danny Ramirez in it. I thought he was the worst part of the whole movie.
Starting point is 00:07:35 And I like Danny Ramirez a lot. I liked him in Top Gun. I liked him in Falcon and Winter Soldier. I think he's obnoxious in the movie. I don't think he comes off as charming like they're trying to. I don't think his stuff is funny. I think he's annoying. And I like him.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Maybe he's for the girls. I don't think so. I don't know. Roxy said he saw him as a major star after this role. I couldn't disagree more. Do you think that was in directing or do you think? Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:03 It wasn't, it wasn't his performance. It was just the character is, is written very annoying. And they're trying to make him charming. And coupled with that, there's a, there's times where they try to have like this kind of emotional attachment that
Starting point is 00:08:17 you, you want, they want you to have. Like I've been, I've been rewatching the MCU, Sam's watching the first time. And even last night, it was, we were watching Endgame again.
Starting point is 00:08:25 And I wasn't getting emotional watching the stuff because of all the connection and the way that they put things together, that's missing for sure. What's not missing is Anthony Mackey's charm. Anthony Mackey is really good in the role. And I care about him as Sam. There's some repeating beats that we've seen before where it's like, oh, am I, am I right for cap?
Starting point is 00:08:44 We established that already. We, we established that. And we're doing that again. Yeah. Harrison Ford is great in the movie. And he takes over his roster. I think he has actually the best storyline in all things. thing. Some of the action is a little clunky in the beginning. I think that the ending is,
Starting point is 00:09:02 I really enjoyed the ending as far as action and everything else goes. The stuff with the Red Hulk, I liked a lot because we're missing rage Hulk. We haven't seen rage Hulk in quite a while, so to get any version of it was satisfying for me. I rated it because anything on Rotten Tomatoes underneath the three is rotten, right? I couldn't get it to fresh. I put it at 2.9, but I think it's worth seeing in the theater if you're a Marvel fan to continue story because I think they set up the upcoming story really, really well. I think it's definitely
Starting point is 00:09:33 clunky, the movie itself, but I think the upcoming story and the first time we've seen like the where they're going, they're finally, Mike, you said this last week, where is this stuff? Like, where's this stuff that connects that we're going to see. They want us to be invested in it. I think that they do that well. At the end of post-credit scene, a couple times throughout the movie.
Starting point is 00:09:50 But I don't agree with the fact that it should be the third, third worst ranked. I mean, I think love and thunder is a steaming turd. And I think that so is the other one, the, the marvels. Those two movies are atrocious. And this movie plays like Winter Soldier and Falcon.
Starting point is 00:10:09 But Steph, you see these reviews. Is this pretty much what you were expecting as far as reviews go after the scenes came out? Or what do you say? Yeah, I am happy to hear that it felt like there was a cohesive story and there was a point to be told because I think in the trailers I was a little concerned that we might get like a joker two where it's like what was the what were you trying to tell here and that seems confirmed that that's pretty clear I was a little skeptical about hitting the same beats again but I knew that that was the price that they would probably pay for focusing so heavily on tv yeah a lot of the times
Starting point is 00:10:49 people hadn't seen so they had to rehash it unless they wanted a doctor strange too where it's like I'm spending 45 minutes explaining to my family what the hell happened and who these characters are now. So I get that. But I'm glad it's not bad. You know, I root for Anthony Mackey and I like the cast as a whole. So I do have something I want you guys, what your advice is on this now,
Starting point is 00:11:14 Christian, you saw it so you have a better gauge on it. So Harry and I don't really care about Valentine's Day. But we, so we decided after the first one, because we didn't do anything like, oh, we should do something. Like, just like, let's plan. Let's have this one be our planned together holiday.
Starting point is 00:11:32 And so he, we like, were like, all the restaurants booked up or they were like 350 for a set menu each. And we're like, we're just not paying $700 plus for a dinner for a holiday. We don't care about. Right. So we got tickets to Captain America. Yeah. But then yesterday he comes home and he has like. like it's basically his nephew,
Starting point is 00:11:56 one of his best friend's son who's like top five in the nation for basketball. So he's pretty like fun to walk. And he's like he has a game on Friday. Oh. Huh.
Starting point is 00:12:10 I don't know. Go to a game. Yeah. What do you think? Well, if your, if your husband wants to go see it, you know, the game,
Starting point is 00:12:18 then you can always, you don't need to catch the movie. The movie's still playing. You can go see the movie. the movie. You can't catch the same game, especially it has good. And if your husband wants to see it, and he's like, come on, this is my family. It's family, right? Yeah, but he's not doing that. He's like, oh, okay, well, what do you think? Oh, what do you think? Yeah. Well, it's, I mean, if you don't really want to go, you should say, you should, you should throw it back and go, well, do you really want to go? And if you
Starting point is 00:12:47 really wants to go, then go see the movie at a different time. Yeah, that's kind of, I'm like, if you really want to go, we can reschedule. But if you don't, I don't like to go to high schools. Right. If you're on the fence, if you were on the fence about it, then let's just go see the movie. Because I know you well enough, I guarantee you that you'll, you'll text me afterwards after having this conversation. You're going to go, I don't know what someone is fine. It's like it is.
Starting point is 00:13:10 It's look, it's sloppily edited. You can tell that there are reshoots. There are some things that are clunky. There are other times that I, if you look at it where you want, and I don't, I don't disagree with anybody who says, well, if you say it's like, episode of a TV show, why do I want to go and spend my money on it? You know, if I just thought the show was subpar. And to you, I say, you're right.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Just wait for it to go on Disney Plus. If you don't, if, because you're not going to, I doubt anyone's going to walk out out of this movie going, holy, that was incredible. You're not going to hear that. But I think it's one of the, I think it has a much better structure and it doesn't, it's not, there's no one singing on a planet. There was no singing planet. I'll tell you that.
Starting point is 00:13:52 There's no musical planet. And Russell and Russell and Russell Crow dancing down a stairwell. There was none of that stupid crap. So for that, that was a win. But Mike, you see all this now. What I actually like you to start with, because you're not going to ever hear me say this probably ever again, but your tweet was decent the other day. Oh, just decent.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Decent. And you were talking about how like it's kind of like the same old song of what happens. Can you reiterate what you were saying? Yeah. So I completely forgot that the remit. reviews, the reactions were coming out. And I was working on my computer. I was like, oh, I think by, it was like midnight my time.
Starting point is 00:14:30 I was like, oh, here we go. The reactions out. Yeah, let me go on Twitter. And scrolling, scrolling and every one of them. And I'm like, oh, wow, it seems like it's, man, I'm frozen, aren't I? Yeah. It's, it seemed like, oh, maybe, you know, everyone's like, oh, you can't tell the reshoots. It's seamless.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Sure, there's some issues here and there, but it is a blast. And I hate this one that I hear The MCU is back. We're back. I cannot fucking stand that. That's what up there with, oh, we're eating so good. MCU didn't go anywhere.
Starting point is 00:15:05 You know, we're not back suddenly. But then the next day, I start reading the reviews. And I get whiplash because am I reading the same thing that you just tweeted out 12 hours ago? Right. MCU's back. bigger than better.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Action's incredible. Thaddeus Ross kills it. Sam Wilson was born to play this role better than Chris Evans. And then the reviews like, well, there's problems. The writing stinks. The third act sucks. Who's the villain? I don't even care.
Starting point is 00:15:39 Mid-credit scene sucked. MCU, it's in the middle. It's around Iron Man, too. Okay. 6.5 out of 10. Did I just read the same thing? And someone made a very good point. Because a lot of days now, studios are now inviting influencers instead of reviewers.
Starting point is 00:15:57 So they want those clicks. They want the buzzwords that gets them their million views. But they don't review. And when they review, if they do review, there's no substance to it. They have nothing to lose by saying, oh, this is great. Yeah, they don't. This is amazing. We had so much fun at the, you know, at the event and everything, too.
Starting point is 00:16:15 That's exactly why the studios now. And if your studios, business-wise, why wouldn't you? invite influences first, right? I mean, because you're trying, you're trying to get promotion. You don't get, it's like, we got to invite the critics. We'll invite them. We're going to do it. We're going to tell the critics can go and see it, you know, a day or two beforehand.
Starting point is 00:16:34 And we'll get the influences in the special events and they'll go and they'll go nuts. And it works for them. A couple different times it didn't work for them. But it works, but it works for them. And I understand the strategy. I get it. I get it. Your studio and you want that.
Starting point is 00:16:46 But it's like a much clear picture was painted the next day. because it seems like from what you said and what I'm reading, it's exactly what we thought it was going to be. You know, this seems like the last bastion of film of the MCU in a slump. Thunderbolts, like, I think this cap was in production when Figey's step is like, all right, we got to slow down.
Starting point is 00:17:10 We got to pump the brakes here. I think Thunderbolts was just getting ready to go into production, so they kind of missed it. Like, but I think, like, no, Fantastic Four is going to be like the true. kind of not reboot or reset but just like the fresh start. Right.
Starting point is 00:17:26 This was like, because I remember saying like people were like after Deadpool Wolverine like oh, the M's back. It's like no way. This is not the test of do they, did they write the ship? It's not going to be cap.
Starting point is 00:17:38 And I don't know about Thunderbolt. So it won't be till fantastic four where we see if things are kind of going back to what we used to expect. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. I also think that there there's two extremes and I feel like you two and Christian I know you're more involved as a critic fall into like the less extreme like the middle area but critics are almost just as extreme as influencers on these types of movies where and comedies and not super serious life altering movies I feel like they cannot view it from a lens of a normal person and so their reviews are often the most misguiding messages ever for people like me.
Starting point is 00:18:20 And in the same way, influencers is like, they have nothing to lose by supporting the movie and everything to lose by not supporting it. Right. It's like a mutual agreement. So it's like you're getting, you know, it was cool. It was fun. It was this. So I think I wait for the third wave, which is like the regulars go to see it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:40 People like you guys who I trust. Which is, which makes all the sense in the world. And you understand like, because you're, the critics have to be honest, right? And like, even though people are. say stupid things like he because it doesn't like i can't even tell you like every other comment is either how much i either hate things or i'm an mc u shell which is like which i was saying with this the other day and i was like i was like you don't want to lose his uh you don't want to lose his privileges what the hell do i go to i go to early screens and i got on a train and smell
Starting point is 00:19:05 train farts uh that and i go to i go to the screenings and i either like the movie i don't like it and then i go home um tired so uh what what i what's what's my special tell me what my special benefits are and then for everyone who i just hate everything um You know, it's like, I can't, you can't, you can't be honest. Because if you're, if you're honest, you don't like the movie because it's Black Capital America. Or you don't like the movie, or you don't like the movie. Or just didn't like the movie.
Starting point is 00:19:30 However, like I said with this one, I think it was fine. And I didn't even necessarily, and I was just using that one as an example because I came, I didn't get that for me on this one because I, I, when I walked out of the movie, I said, I was expecting that to be terrible. And I just felt like I watched an episode on Disney Plus and went, I was an episode. Right. And that's, and all. And I don't disagree at all.
Starting point is 00:19:49 the bill it this plays more like an incredible Hulk sequel than it does a captain american movie i'll tell you that um because of if you and i like the incredible Hulk so i liked seeing some of the things like a tie up to that movie because i know we're never going to get a sequel to it so i was like oh this kind of plays into that in general um so there were those things there too but you can't as a critic you just can't win because i even saw someone saying in the comments oh the reason why these people aren't liking is it's a you know it's it's a black Captain America. William Bibiani is not that guy.
Starting point is 00:20:21 He doesn't like the movie because he doesn't like the movie. And if there's anybody, he's 100% rooting for Anthony Mackay. I can tell you that. Bibiani is not that guy that's going to say, well, it's by Captain America. I'm not going to like this movie. That's not who he is. I don't disagree. I don't agree with a lot of his movie takes. But I can tell you, when it comes to
Starting point is 00:20:40 morally and everything else, too, he's just, he's watching the movie. He's a good person. He's watching the movie saying, is it a good movie? Is it a bad movie? And that's it. Anyway, so I'm so curious in general, I guess is the next topic of this conversation. Steph, you just said something interesting, right? You don't listen to the influencers, really.
Starting point is 00:20:59 You'll hear you listen to us because we're your friends. It's the same way even if we weren't doing this on TV, but would you guys think, right? So you really look for that third wave of the people who are going to see it, what they think. Because of that, do you think this will have any impact on the box office? How do you think this movie is going to do overall? Do you think it's going to, because the Marvels did not do well and they had a better score than this movie. Do you think that this will do well? Do you think it's going to stay on the 85 to 95 to 95 or is it going to do better or worse?
Starting point is 00:21:30 I think it's going to do well. I think it will people like the character Captain America. A lot of people like the series. So I think people who watch the series are definitely going to see it. And then there's that general wave of like it's a good family movie. Marvel always guarantees a. decent movie night, you know, if you go to the theater. And it is a weekend where there's not much happening other than that. So I think it will do fine. I don't think it's going to do
Starting point is 00:21:57 great or better than what we have seen in the past, but probably better than the Marvels. Yeah. One would think, I mean, because I still, I mean, well, we don't know. We still don't know. There's like conflicting rumors about how much this movie costs, how many times it's being shot. Some people say it's not true. It hasn't been shot. Other people say you're full of crap. it has been reshot. Either way, it's, it's going to have a loss, I think, this movie. I think the movie's going to have a loss. Question is how big of, it was going to have a loss no matter what.
Starting point is 00:22:25 The question is how much of a loss, Mike, do you think it's going to have any impact these reviews at all? Because there isn't a lot, there wasn't, we talked about this regardless. There wasn't a lot of excitement as far as buzz around this movie, but do you think this is going to hurt it or the people who want to see it? They're going to see it. I don't know. It's tough, man.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Like, I don't know. But this is a, you. You know, I don't know. I'm speechless right now. I'm at a loss for words. I know I find that hard to believe. Because I just don't know because two days ago I would have said, oh, this is, and wasn't it a tracking for like 180 or something?
Starting point is 00:23:00 Globally? Maybe. Someone said in the, that's, but that's the thing. Someone said in the chat that it costs 180 budget. Sure. Sure, it did.
Starting point is 00:23:09 No. I'm sorry. I, there's no world where it costs $180. No. No. No. Because there were some research.
Starting point is 00:23:16 Then we know there were some reshoots. The question is how extensive. Two months ago, Anthony Beck was on set in Los Angeles. Right. And it wasn't part of the original 180 budget. It was other after test screening reshoots. The question is how much of it was plus marketing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:32 They cut an entire character out and rechanged it. And the director talked about it. That's not just a reshoot. That is a major change to a film. Reshoot are like, hey, we're editing. Man, I need a scene to transition from this reaction to this guy's reaction. Let's just build the set out in the soundstage and I'll fill his face. Right, right. Two lines. That's a reason. Or like, oh, we can't, you know what? You know what's a reshow? End game.
Starting point is 00:23:55 It's a reshoot. Like, hey, we need, we know we thought of, we wish we would have gotten when he snaps. If you would have said, I am Iron Man. That would have been so great if he did that. Can we get him? He's coming into some re-shoots. Can we get him in to do that? And they got him in to do that. That wasn't a complete reshoot in the movie. That was adding an extra scene that elevated the film. So that was not this. And someone said, well, it's reported that's 180. That's true. It's reported that it's 180. We talked about this.
Starting point is 00:24:21 If the film that is in theaters was 180, okay. Right. But what we didn't see and what was reshoted. The other stuff. Right. That's right. So if they're saying, if we're using semantics and going, well, the film costs
Starting point is 00:24:36 180. If the film we see in theaters is 180, okay. But you just don't. get rid of the number that was attached to that script for the past four years. But you're right, though. That's an easy way to skate around it where they're like, what movie, like, how much is this one? The one that you're watching?
Starting point is 00:24:51 Well, that costs about $180 million to do. What about the other we shoots? You didn't ask that. You just asked how much this movie cost. And depending on whose narrative they want to spew, they'll stick to whatever is out. Let's be generous and say that this movie without marketing costs $250 million. Okay. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:10 So you add in about 150 would say marketing because it's a big Marvel movie. You're going, you're going, you know, now $400 million. Okay. That would ultimately mean it needs to make $800, $8.50? No world. That this movie makes that. I think $4.25. $4.25 globally.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Yeah. It's not a crazy. It's not crazy. That's a bad number for them. If it's 425, it's a bad number. I still even think 550 is not a great number, but that's where I'm going. I'm going around 550 for this one.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Steph, what do you say? 600? 600? I'm just hoping. Yeah. Yes. I think you're going to have a big weekend because it's Valentine's weekend. This is a big Valentine's weekend.
Starting point is 00:25:56 But look at what Steph just said. But look what stuff just said. Steph just said they want to find something to do over the weekend for Valentine's Day, so they're going to see that. I'm surprised you're not going to see Paddington. I think Paddington's actually going to benefit. Oh, yeah. I forgot that movie.
Starting point is 00:26:08 They just don't. miss the Paddington crew whoever's in that crew they don't miss. Yeah, but it's not the same director. Oh, okay. Well, I can't say the same. I know. I can't say the same. I just know one and two came out hot.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Yeah. And then the director jumped to do Willy Wonka and that movie was pretty, that's a movie. Next time someone asked me that question, what's a movie that you initially were just kind of like Luke Warren on that you came around to? Like, I find it super charming and I really enjoy it. I find it super charming too.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Yeah. And I think, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's like so much so I want to see a sequel to it. But either way, that's what we got for Captain America. The reviews, I'm sure Marvel also, they knew it too. And you can tell that they knew it that this is going to happen because the social embargo,
Starting point is 00:26:55 well, usually you can talk about it right after you see it. I saw it at 10 o'clock in the morning and I had to wait until midnight before I could release my out of the theater reaction. That usually never happens. So that was a head scratcher, and I still said it the other day with Roxy. I thought that you can maybe, maybe they were right that everybody, there's some people who are just completely taking a dump on this movie, which I don't necessarily really understand. I think it's like I said, when you're going to see it, you just go,
Starting point is 00:27:23 I don't know if you want to spend money on a dee movie, but it wasn't like, I thought it was going, guys, those scenes that they showed, that was nothing compared to this flaming turd. And it wasn't a flaming turd. And in my opinion. So that's what I got. Put your thoughts in there. Let me know what you're thinking about this.
Starting point is 00:27:41 We're on Apple Podcasts. We're on Spotify. And you want to support the show? Not only use so many new members. So many new members because we put in the raw reactions of myself and Sam doing our stuff. We shot end game yesterday. Oh, before I even jumped to anything else. Steph, you got to see Sam's end game reaction.
Starting point is 00:28:00 She was sobbing. Oh, sobbing. so much so that I almost reached my arm over to comfort her because she was she was sobbing. She could not keep it together. It was. You found the perfect person. She was, it was perfect.
Starting point is 00:28:20 And like, yeah, there were a couple different times. Like she got, you know, you've ever seen end game. She got hit hard like a few different times. But then obviously the ending just.
Starting point is 00:28:29 Oh yeah. The only thing I remember is the ending just got. gutting. She wasn't expecting because again, I don't care if I spoil end game for people in there. So if you haven't seen end game, then please, you know, unless you're Sam, who's now seen it too. But she was very attached in general to Tony, right? So like, yeah. So Tony, who, what wife? Didn't realize that was his wife. Sam's not my wife. Um, so anyway, so they snapped, uh, when, when Tony does that snap. Um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, so Tony does that snap. Um, Um, she didn't get it at first.
Starting point is 00:29:05 She had just seen Thanos disappear. So Tony Stapp, she's like, yeah. She's so excited. Oh, yeah. And she doesn't realize it. And then once he's like, he's like sitting there all messed up. And she goes, is he going to die? It's, it's great.
Starting point is 00:29:22 So that comes out on Tuesday. I'm going to watch. Okay. That comes out on Tuesday. We got Friday is Captain Marvel. Tuesday is end game. Then we're going to take a break because on Friday, of next week, I'm putting my nose-for-a-to reaction out with my friend Tina, who had never seen it before.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Oh. And then Sam comes back in the following week to start the Toby Spider-Man movies. Okay. So you're just doing up to end game? No, we're going to go back into. I wanted to show her the Spider-Man movies for obvious reasons, but we're taking a break from the MCU. Then we're going to go back into No Way or Far from Home after she finishes the, Andrew Garfield movies. Oh, I see what you're saying. You see why I'm doing that and then and then we'll
Starting point is 00:30:08 get into like we'll watch one division and other things too. So her her journey is is far from over. Gotcha. And will you do you give her context like the Sam Ramey ones like these were kind of the first in the newer she knows she knows so she the only and we talked about this last night. The only movie that you will see on the description or the title of the video that doesn't say first time watching will be Spider-Man three. because her son watched that over and over and over again when he was younger. So she remembers it. She remembers Venom.
Starting point is 00:30:40 She remembers all this things. She's like, so we were talking about it. She's like, I kind of remember that one pretty well. It's like, all right, we'll just tell the audience. We'll be honest to the audience to tell them that you've never seen it. Or that you've seen it before. So we, so that's the only one that she will have remembered, but probably not since she's been watching all these other movies.
Starting point is 00:30:56 So she'll have a different perspective on it, right? Yeah. But yeah, yeah. And then I haven't, because I don't want her to be set up for anything else, too. So we're she's definitely never seen she had no idea that Andrew Garfield was even Spider-Man. So there you go. Underrated. Yep.
Starting point is 00:31:15 All right. So what was that? Okay, let's let's get to, I got to tell you guys about some sponsors. We got some good ones, real good ones this week. And if you want to support the show, you've been doing it for membership. That's great. But I always tell you, get something for yourself. Really go getting something for yourself.

And I love AG1 because I want to get a nice, like, kicking my step when I'm waking up in the morning. You know? So for me, I like to put it in the cup that I have. I have this cup and I shake it up and just have really, really great energy throughout the day.
Starting point is 00:33:30 I was never a big vitamins person. So and taking separate vitamins all the time. And you just put it all in one cup and that's it. And especially now, and I'm one of the things that we're going to be moving the show soon and I'm trying to get myself in better help and better health. And I'm going to be doing that. And winter right now, you know it's going to be hard just in general to get up in the morning or go outside for a morning walk or run because of the cold. And for me, AG1 just gives me that energy, gets me out and I'm ready. Plus, by the way, Valentine's Day is right around the corner.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Yeah, you want to commit to your health with your partner. with your significant other, and research has shown that having a partner can increase the likelihood of habit formation or speaking to doing that and making sure that you guys are doing that maybe together. It works. So it is never too late to create a new healthy habit for 2025. So try AG1 for yourself. It is something that I've actually been able to stay consistent with. And that's why I've been partnering with AG1 for so long. And AG1 is now offering new subscribers a free $76. gift when you sign up. Starting point is 00:34:53 And you get this offer. That's drinkag1.com slash big thing to start your new year on a healthier note. And this is one. that I have just recently discovered, and I'm so glad that I did. And I got to tell you guys about Stitch Fix. And now Stitch Fix, this is going to be used on my Valentine's Day. Man, shopping is horrible for me. It's terrible for me.
Starting point is 00:35:19 The way that I have now found a great way to shop is through Stitch Fix. It's an online personal styling thing. I was like, yeah, send that my way. I hate shopping. I'm always sitting on when my wife and my kids are going to the mall, I'm the guy sitting on the bench outside checking my phone because I'm like, I don't know, I'll just order it online. I don't know who to talk to about this stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:40 Stitch fix, you get a stylist who understands your style and understands your size, the budget, and they do all the shopping for you. So great. Shopping and figuring out your style, it's overwhelming. When it comes to getting dressed, sometimes I don't even know where to start. But I love having this now, this Stitch Fixed stylist. Tell me all these new things. You're going to see a bunch of new looks coming my way.
Starting point is 00:35:58 You just give the stylist the size, the budget preferences, you order boxes when you want it, how you want it. There's no subscription required. It's great. They just send me the pieces plus recommendations, styling tips. It's awesome. No stores, no crowds, no stress, just personalized looks that you're going to love. Stitch Fix makes it so easy.
Starting point is 00:36:16 It is personal styling for everyone. You get started today at Stitchfix.com slash KHS. That's easy to remember. That's Stitchfix.com slash KHS. S. John, I needed that, man. I'll tell you. I mean, a person, I'm so happy to have all of them on board, man.
Starting point is 00:36:39 And like I've told you guys before, thank you. I had someone reach out to me the other day and say, hey, man, I just signed up for Nort. I was like, that's great. Thank you so much. I came and tell you how much it helps the show. So I really, really appreciate it. Thank you guys very, very much. I'm trying to give some people here a little, a little sneak people.
Starting point is 00:36:58 peek, a little sneak peek of what I did during the break staff. I'll show you just a little sneak peek. Okay. I'm going to see what you want to see? Oh my God. Yes. All right. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:37:16 what's going on? Can I die? I'll help Christian. You just see the transition of complete sadness. Oh my gosh. It's like making me. cry. Yeah, it was getting me. That's just a little, little teeth. You know, watching these and seeing them from a fresh perspective of someone that's not even a comic fan, it just goes to show
Starting point is 00:37:55 you like how good those movies. Oh, they're so good. They were. You have no idea when you watch that. That was, that was nothing. It's totally more an end game in the theater. That's generational. like yeah yeah it is it's like once in a lifetime event it really is it's our version it's different but it's our version i feel like of when star wars came out for kids yeah for sure yeah she was like that was like did you guys see end game right exactly she was she was annihilated this morning she was like she was annihilated she was like we were yeah she came she came by and she was like or she yeah she came back last night and we we recorded it because I just I had to back to back my friend Tina came in at like 315 and we did
Starting point is 00:38:45 Nosephrates and then right after we finished Nosephrates we jumped into endgame so it was it was interesting to see her see this and this buildup to these and then when you start getting into the emcee of the past couple years to see a person that's not in this world oh yeah you know it's going to be interesting to see how she takes it if she She took it like a lot of, you know, everyone else did. So it's funny because, well, I won't, I'm trying to, I don't know if I want to spoil. Yeah, I'm not going to spoil it. But like our Captain Marvel reaction drops on Friday.
Starting point is 00:39:20 I'll give you guys, I'll give you guys a guess. Do you think Steph that she really loved it or she thought it was the worst of the bunch so far? Well, you're dropping Captain Marvel. Yeah. After end game? Before. Yeah. End game comes out on Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:39:35 I think she liked it. Okay. Wait, wait, end game comes out Tuesday. Oh, Captain Marvel comes out this Friday. Yeah. Then any game's Tuesday. Okay. I'm going to say she didn't like him.
Starting point is 00:39:47 Okay. Well, we'll have to find out when it drops on Friday. Yeah, because it is such a stark change from Infinity War to that. Yeah, that's a good idea. So, hey, Luke, if you... Is it going back in time and it's in the 90s and it's like... I'm not sure if Luke or PLD is in the chat right now, but if either one of you guys are in the chat right now,
Starting point is 00:40:05 can you guys make a poll and then just says, Do you think Sam really liked Captain Marvel or disliked it? And I want to see what the audience votes for. What do you think you guys are at right now as far as questions go? I know you don't look. What did we start at? 11. Did you cheat?
Starting point is 00:40:21 Did you cheat? I have no idea. My guess is 56. We started at 11, you said? You cheated, Steph. No, I swear on everything. How did you guess? How did you guess 56?
Starting point is 00:40:35 That's literally what it is. No way. Yeah. Someone put in a super sticker. Those don't, those don't, they're appreciative. We appreciate them, but they don't count towards the overall tally. So 56 is where we stand right now. Wait, that's genius.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Yeah, that was pretty good. I was going to say 22. Well, you got 56. I think we'll see what happens. So you got now, you know, it's not over. It's not over. Don't never count Steph Sabra out. Mike, you can count out.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Don't ever count Steph Sobriot. Right. Right. Let's see. The commercial break gave me a chance to get a full new coffee. So I'm ready. Ready to rock. I'm pumped up.
Starting point is 00:41:22 All right. This is a coffee. Look at you. Full new one. That mug's the size of your head, kid. And it's still not enough. Listen to me. We have a big story that's dropping here.
Starting point is 00:41:32 I don't, I don't blame you. So listen to this, because this came out. of nowhere. John Lithgow is going to play Dumbledore for the HBO series. Okay. And John Lithgow, classic John Lithgow, six-time Emmy winner, John Lithgow, was reported in final negotiations to portray Albus Dumbledore in HBO series adaptation of the Harry Potter novels
Starting point is 00:41:57 by J.K. Rowland. Deadline broke the news indicating that Lithgow is not just in talks, but seemingly close to a deal. Unlike previously rumored for the role candidates like Mark Rylindon, and Mark Strong. Dumbledore is the headmaster of the Hogwarts Wizarding School and a key character throughout the series. HBO officially declined to comments, saying in a statement, we appreciate that such a high profile series
Starting point is 00:42:17 would draw a lot of rumor and speculation. As we make our way through pre-production, we will only confirm details as we finally deal. Shit. So showrunner Francesca Garnier and series writer Mark Miloid, Mylod, previously confirmed the series will stick to the canonical 8.
Starting point is 00:42:37 from the books with several adult characters being younger than the film counterparts if cast let's go would be the oldest person take on this role Richard Harris was 71 when he shot the first film while Michael Gammon was 62 when he filmed his first appearance due law was 45 playing a younger version of the character series aims to adapt the works into seven seasons with one season per book um let's cast played american many different times Winston Churchill he was really good on that so you know to worry about that if you're people are oh, he's an American playing in a Brit.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I mean, there's tons of Brits to play Americans all the time, too. So that's silly. That being said, I love John Liff. I think John Luthkegown is one of the greatest of all time. Even so much so that it tweet the other day when I said, I said if there's one actor that you could deliver the line, we need to talk. I took John Lifcoe.
Starting point is 00:43:25 So I think he would be able to deliver it. It was great in Conclave. It's great in everything that he does. He was great in the Planet of the H movies. He'll be great in this. However, I think I would have preferred Mark Rylance, personally. For a lot of different reasons.
Starting point is 00:43:38 One, I just feel, and I feel like John Lithgow can do the kindness and all that stuff and be the stern guy that he needs to. I think the age is a big difference. As I said, you know, Richard Harris was 71. When I got the role, I was yet 71 years old. However, I made it through three or four films until my life had its end. I love Richard Harris. Love them.
Starting point is 00:44:04 was the best. I love your Dumbledore. He didn't last. He didn't last the whole series. 71. John, there's 80. How long are they going to do these series for?
Starting point is 00:44:13 Eight years old. 80. That's one of the reasons, but I also think it's also, you look, oh, it's Liff count. I think Mark Rylance would have been more like, oh, that's Dumbledore.
Starting point is 00:44:25 I think Rylance would have been a better pick. That's my personal thing. I think it'll be great in the role, and it'll be perfect. But if I was casting, I wouldn't have gone with that. with Lithgow. How about you, stuff? This article who knows if it's real or not from coming soon.net says that Mark Rylentz
Starting point is 00:44:41 passed on the role. He passed on it. Yeah. Oh, according to Jeff Snyder's, the insider. Yep. Rylands turned down the role because of his wife,
Starting point is 00:44:52 Claire Van Campen, passed away in January 2025. Okay. I read that. Yeah. They said that he's dealing with the morning. Yeah. I understand.
Starting point is 00:45:02 Okay. Well, maybe then he was. the first choice. I think of a lot of sense. I'll bet Rylance appears in the show. Eventually, yeah, you're probably right. He'll be in it. Probably right. Yeah, you're probably right. Yeah, that's okay. Well, that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:45:16 I just, again, I just think that if they're going to be doing this show for however long they're going to be doing it. Right, I think that's a good point. 80 years old. If you read the books, right? Yeah. Does Voldemort appear in his full form? He doesn't
Starting point is 00:45:31 appear in his full form for a couple books, right? Right. Oh, I can see him as Dumbled as Voldemore. Yeah. Oh, that could be cool. Yeah. He'll be in the series. I'll bet. Yeah, he'll be in the series. I'll bet. Yeah, he'll be in you're right. And I love Mark Strong. I didn't think Mark Strong was the guy for that role. Not for Dumbledore. No, you see he'll pop in the series too, by the way. Not for Dumbledore, but I also don't think he's Voldemort. I think he's
Starting point is 00:45:57 two on the nose for Dumbled. Yeah, he's, but he's so good too, because he can play. He's played many villains and many good guys. I can see him being like quereal or um yeah yeah yeah yeah I'm I'm still I'm excited for this series well yeah I'm excited for the series too just because I feel like it is going to be different than the movies I'm just so tired of seeing beat for beat. Yep I'm torn additions on this character or the show no the show yeah I think yeah well we got to see once it comes out how they're going to how they're going to do it but i'm i like the idea that they're going to be able to explore things way more and i still think that i wish that i wish the people of and the mike's going to agree with me on this one i wish that the people of uncharted go you know
Starting point is 00:46:42 what let's just make this damn thing a tv show instead we'll start we'll start young nathan drake you know whatever it might or don't even start with young nathan rick start from the first start with the first uh game and then essentially do what they did with the third game and then go back to where he's younger and do something like that like leading into it um because the games clearly can be adapted in the I just think that I didn't mind I'll tell you I didn't but before you jump through the screen and strangling me Mike I am I didn't mind the uncharted yeah I didn't mean the I didn't mind the uncharted movie as a movie I didn't like it as an uncharted movie does that make sense yeah it was a fun action movie it's just
Starting point is 00:47:20 not uncharted that's exactly right that's that's exactly how I felt about I was like here's a perfect example with that movie and studios and you don't and you you see what they do but you understand why sometimes when the movies come out, they're like, what, what did you think? So originally Walberg was attached to Nathan Drake. And that's a little more in line. I don't know if I would have liked it, but, and then it production. Hey, we know where Sally is? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:43 Hey, silly. We got to go up to these treasures. But like, and then it got delayed, delayed. So then they finally called me, hey, Mark, we're going ahead with with Uncharter. You're ready to go? He's like, yeah, man, I'm ready to go. He's like, but you're not playing Nathan anymore. Like, huh?
Starting point is 00:47:55 Yeah, you're playing Sully. They just like cut and paste it to them. different role. Like, that's not how these characters are vastly different. And the fact that they were doing stuff like that, it's like, okay, they don't understand the game at all. No, and that's, and that was until last of us, it seemed like that was an ongoing problem with video game stuff.
Starting point is 00:48:12 And it's like, the only people that have done that right and don't say, well, Sonic was a good adaptation. Sure, but not from like the, I'm talking about the story that plays out throughout the actual game in Last of Us is essentially the game in the video game. the video game that transferred into the HBO series with some stuff and liberties that they had to take for TV shows for sure, but you can do the same thing for so many other games
Starting point is 00:48:37 that they don't do, and they have this stupid mentality, it's a really stupid mentality of like, well, if they already played it, then we should just do something completely different. All right, tell that the Game of Thrones with the Red Wedding. Tell it to that. Tell it to these other things that have adapted these things as well.
Starting point is 00:48:53 It's like the stupidest thing because then they'll go and make a shot for shot remake of an animated movie and live action. Right, right. Right. Right. It's so dumb. It's so dumb.
Starting point is 00:49:02 It's like, oh, yeah, well, they already, if I play the game, I already know the ending. So what? So look at what they did. Look at what they did in Last of Us. That's the perfect example for that. Anyway, Steph, you're the only one that likes this show on this. Oh, no. And so this.
Starting point is 00:49:21 I'm joking. What a perfect. Steph, you're the only one that likes this show. Oh, no. The Lord of the Rings. The Rings of Power was renewed somehow for season three. And nude pictures of something happening. Bezos.
Starting point is 00:49:42 Story will jump ahead by several years. Okay. Amazon Prime has announced that Lord of the Rings, the Power will return for a third season and the first plot details point to the story jumping ahead by several years. Check it out. It's been confirmed. that the Lord of the Rings of Power will return for season three on Prime.
Starting point is 00:50:02 While the news doesn't come, it's a surprise, really. It's surprised to me. It arrived several months after season two concluded. The season two finale wrapped up with various cliffhangers, including, I don't care, well, I guess you know what, I care about spoilers, including the elves resolving the stand against Sauron's armies that march across the Middle Earth. Helby Matters was the fact that elves and dwarfs had crafted their own powerful rings, capable of leveling the playing field.
Starting point is 00:50:24 The Hollywood Reporter reveals that we're getting a major time jump when Lord of the Rings returns and the trade has shared the first story details an official log line. Jumping forward, yada, yeah, yeah, okay,
Starting point is 00:50:35 it's getting renewed. So, Steph, you hear this. Now, but you liked season one also, right? Because I,
Starting point is 00:50:43 so I was back and forth with one. I mean, one, there was a lot of one that I was just, this is terrible. Like, I hated, like,
Starting point is 00:50:48 the, they weren't even hobbits. What were they? The dwarves? Not the dwarves. What are they called? Were they the halflings or, I don't know what they were.
Starting point is 00:50:58 But there was, Oh, Harfitt. The Harfitts? P.U. I was sleeping every time they hit the screen. And then there were some stuff that was okay. And then I hated this stupid reveal at the end of season one.
Starting point is 00:51:10 That made me not go back. The reveal at the end of season one, it made me go, no. But what I will say, similar to Skeleton Crew, everybody that I know that watched it, which I could say in my hand,
Starting point is 00:51:24 but those people all say that it was pretty good. You liked this. second season, right? Yeah, I did. I liked the second season. I liked the first season, but I like the second season better. And there was a lot of it that I loved. And I, I'm excited that there's a third season. I feel like they committed so much to it. They just have to, they have to do it. But I fear that it, it just, it is sucks to, it sucks to see like how much money and time they've spent how much effort they've put into it like when you hear the directors and the writers talking at the end of the episode about what they were thinking you know these people really care and it just
Starting point is 00:52:05 is not reflective in the viewership people it just isn't sitting right with a lot of the fandom and that sucks yeah you know i think that mike this is also an important thing to note where it is so important to hit that first season man because you could hit a season two and be like oh this is the best we've ever done. But people are not tuning into that season one. It's different if they're not watching it because they didn't know about it. And everyone's like, oh, you got to watch season. I can't believe you missed season one. And I think that like and or is going to be an example of that, I believe. I think more people are going to watch season two than watch season one, um, because there was so much word or mouth behind it. This is kind of the opposite of that. It was like season one,
Starting point is 00:52:47 people, someone in the chats that 30% of the people who started watching season one bailed on it, right? So when they go, well, season two was great. Like, Yeah, fool me once. So what do you, what do you think about this? Are you surprised that it got a season three? I didn't even know season two finished. Right. I think it just finished, right?
Starting point is 00:53:06 I don't know. I don't know. You guys, that was like six months ago. Oh, exactly. No, you guys. Right. Exactly. The point taken.
Starting point is 00:53:16 I don't know. I just, yeah. Yeah, you don't care. But hey, I mean, clearly that, I, I, okay, I should say this. like it's a great point to your example. There was a show that came out two years ago now called Citadel on Amazon. As a Russo Brothers big spy franchise. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:36 And I'm on board. I'm like, oh, this is right up my alley. And I was kind of like underwhelmed. I was like, oh, there's such a good idea there, but just it doesn't, it's not working. But then it was part of this franchise where they were going to build out a global film community with it. So they were going to let, they have, they just released one from Italy and then one from India. All Italian crew, all Indian crew, actors, actresses, directors. And it was still in this world of Citadel, but through these other lenses.
Starting point is 00:54:07 And then it's going to be one in Spain and one of Mexico. But they're doing a season two of the American one with the leads. And the Russo brothers came in to now direct these because they realized some of the mistakes. So Amazon, I at least appreciate that Amazon is a letting them. what they have and the potential and go, okay, we're going to give you, we're going to give you another keep going on it too, because we, we see how it goes. As opposed to some shows like, ah, two episodes, not done. It's out. It's out. Never again. Sure. Sure. It's just, it's just there's, this isn't like a smaller show though that costs.
Starting point is 00:54:40 No, but clearly they're not going to, you're not wasting money. No, you, well, and they own the IP. They own a big IP and it's probably like, hey, we have this huge IP of this Lord of the Rings that we can, we can make here. Yeah. Get your stuff together and let's, just hope people come and watch it if we start making good stuff. So maybe that's what they're holding. That's what they're counting on. But also they're building a library. Are you? No. Well, yeah, but you look better like that. I can hear you.
Starting point is 00:55:06 But they're building a library. So that in two years from now, you'll catch up on it, right? Yeah. And it's always going to be there. So I wonder if the Lord of the Rings movies by Peter Jackson, the new live action ones, if it will help or hurt that series. They're making, they're making a Gala movie
Starting point is 00:55:24 with any circle. They're not redoing Lord Oh yeah. You're saying like overall as a Yeah like the question is like so if you can see two mindsets right The one is all right because they're not They're not combined Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings are not connected to the
Starting point is 00:55:40 Amazon ones right they're different in general based off the works. Are they? They're not yeah They're not connected no it's Warner Brothers and Amazon doing two different things exactly so and you if you have have that movie come out. It crushes and a Lord of the Rings diehard goes,
Starting point is 00:55:57 thank God that's back. I don't have to watch that other thing. Or look, the opposite of that. I know yourself, Steph, I think Rachel Cushing is a, who we know is a major Lord of the Rings fan.
Starting point is 00:56:10 I feel, and I don't think I'm wrong here. I feel like she liked season two more so than one. I don't know if you know that that's true or not, Mike. I don't remember, we talked about it. I saw her at New Year. We hung out a few years.
Starting point is 00:56:23 She liked the War of the Reherom animated film. I did too. I was one of the idea. She understood some of the like, okay, you know, they did this because of this. But she's not talking bad about the show. She's Lord of the Rings girl. That's her thing. I thought she, I remember her kind of thinking the first one was just okay.
Starting point is 00:56:43 Yeah. And then I might be making up with it. I could be wrong. Yeah, that's what I thought too. All right. This is the last thing that we're going to do here, this story. because I saw this story, and I don't think about six months ago I would have reported on this story. I would be like, oh, that's interesting.
Starting point is 00:56:59 Or not necessarily I wouldn't have reported on it. I think that I would not have had the same point of view that I'm about to have here. And that is that Ariana Grande has been offered a role in Space Balls 2, apparently. That is the rumor in the Star Wars spoof here. Though we don't have many details, a trade report mentions that Ariana Grande has been offered a role in the spaceball sequel. Our cast, he writes, may the Schwartz be with you. We've been hearing rumors of a potential spaceball sequel for many years and recently got
Starting point is 00:57:31 confirmation that a follow-up to the Mel Brooks 80 Star Wars spoof is officially in the works. The movie is in development at Amazon MGM Studios with Josh Gad, set to star and produce alongside Brooks. Greenbaum will direct the film from a screenplay by Benji Samet, Dan Hernandez, and Gad. Got aside, no cast members have been announced, but we're now hearing that the studio has reached out to a major new star for an undisclosed role in the movie. In the THS profile of Wicked, Ariana Grande, the trade mentions that the recent Academy Award nominee has been offered us number of roles, which she has yet to commit to. Okay, so let's see. I'll tell you, and this is why I said stuff, I love space balls.
Starting point is 00:58:12 I love that movie so much. If you would have told me, and unfairly, six months ago, Ariana Grande, is up for a role. I think, why? Now I go, yes, perfect. And people go, why you never saw her in her comedy and the Nickelodeon or whatever, the Disney thing? I'm like, not until about three weeks ago when my little one was watching it. I had never seen them. Why would I see that? What I saw her in was wicked, and I saw some of her stuff in Saturday Night Live. Her comedic timing is impeccable. She is a brilliantly gifted comedic actress. Not everybody has that kind of timing. She's a natural at it. She is a natural. She can do impersonations and voices.
Starting point is 00:58:52 She's natural. She's an absolute natural at it. I knew nothing about Ariana Grande except that she could sing. That's all I knew about her. I wasn't, I didn't grow up watching her stuff. It was, it was way after my time. And she is incredibly gifted, especially when it comes to comedy. She'd be perfect in this. You know Josh Gad is going to wind up playing Barf's son. That's got, I mean, that's going to be kind of, I think. Oh my God. That's his hysterical. Right? And you would assume so. Yeah, that feels
Starting point is 00:59:22 that feels like it's right there. Bill Pullman will probably come back as Lone Star and get killed by his son in the in because the benefit of Josh Gad being part of it is Josh Gad is very connected to Star Wars. So he knows the Star Wars lore. He knows the things he knows the way that they're probably going to, you know, spoof these these movies the way that they spoof the originals. Um, so I am pretty excited for it. I don't know. You would assume maybe she's going to play the Ray kind of character. or a version of it.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Yeah. Yeah. What do you think about this stuff? I think it's great. Like if she was to play a real life Ray in Star Wars, that'd be different. I think she would need to like hit the gym. She is a, she's, I'm not talking about how she looks. I'm saying physically like, because she is so petite and dainty. But for a spoof, I think this is super fun. It's, yeah, I hear you. Like, if you would have told me a year ago, knowing that she can do impersonations. We've seen it on like the Jimmy Fallon show during that segment that she does all the songs. Like I knew in the back of my head she had it, but it's different to see it on a big screen and have it really work. So I think that she, she has like a massive acting career
Starting point is 01:00:35 ahead of her. It's kind of crazy. Yeah, I couldn't believe how good she was in that movie. Mike, what do you make? Mike, your space balls guy. Of course. Come on. Real quick. Steve, have you ever seen space balls? Yeah, I have. Okay. Recently. Yes. Yes. I mean, in the past like five years. Okay. Mike, what do you think about this casting in D. True? What is that? What are you doing, Mike?
Starting point is 01:01:00 Clearly it was you, because you just got muted. No, no, I'm on. That wasn't me. What was that? There's some drums. The hell was that? Yeah, that was so funny.
Starting point is 01:01:10 Weird, Mike. I don't know. Oh, I love baseball. Is you kidding me? What do you think about her in the role? Great. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:01:19 You're not the best. color commentator in the business for nothing. They don't say that for nothing. I'm like you. But again, no, I shouldn't say that because if I heard this two years ago, a year ago, I wouldn't know. Ariana Grunny was never really on my radar as it is. Wasn't she like a Disney Plus kid or Disney kids show girl?
Starting point is 01:01:39 Yeah, something like that. Yeah. So I'm like, well, she grew up. She's an adult now. Okay. Yeah. She looks like a princess, so she'll probably a princess, some kind of princess role.
Starting point is 01:01:48 I think yeah and I think that she can she's absolutely going to do more you're right like seeing her in I couldn't believe there's a moment in wicked there's a moment in wicked and I know this is blasphemy and I've seen and I haven't even seen the full play so people can people can can yell at me all they want because I haven't I don't even have probably the right even merit to say it I think she's better than Kristen Chenow as far as Billinda goes I've seen I've seen no no ground since I've seen scenes. I've heard the songs over and over and over again of both of them. That much I know.
Starting point is 01:02:26 But I've heard, I like, I like the way that she plays the role better than what I saw with Kristen Chenow. But anyway, there's a scene in Wicked where she's talking to Elfabah and she does this like dramatic thing where she just throws her head on the bed and like just flops on the bed. Oh yeah, that's the best. That's her funniest part. It's just done so well. And she turns around to look to see if she's getting attention. I want you guys to know that's an I or a look of me in the house if I don't get what I want. I got, did you see?
Starting point is 01:03:00 Right. Right. 100%. She was, she was great. All right. All right. Yeah. All right.

And one of those things is, of course, the amount of questions that these two characters have amassed. You had nothing coming into this. Now you got 83.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Good start going into the question. Good start. All right. You got a shot. You need over a hundred. What a Roxy have going into her questions? You remember? Something like 100.
Starting point is 01:07:02 193. Something like that. Yeah, she was. Of course. All right. We're going to start. Let's get to it. And Layden Kulik, have you filmed Nosephra to reaction with Tina?
Starting point is 01:07:11 I did. It is going to air a week from Friday. Yes, we did we record it. Follow up. Did Sam ever see Southpaw in 2015 or Rush 2013? I'm going to go ahead and guess and say no. She probably has not seen either one of those, but I will put them on the list to ask. What I'm going to ask for anybody who does watch it, and we ask as much in the reaction for
Starting point is 01:07:32 Tina, I need you guys in the comment section of Nosferatu to suggest movies. She has seen way more movies than Sam. So most of the movies that you suggest to Sam, if they came out after like 2004, she probably hasn't seen. But Tina has seen a lot of stuff. Tina's seen all the MCU. She's seen everything. So we're going to need some suggestions for her. Okay, go pal.
Starting point is 01:07:55 Is there any real life object from TV or movie? movies that you've coveted for years. Lifesaver. For me, it was Pierce Brosons, blue dial, Omega, C-master. Now, I probably would have cut my hands off by now if I had one, but I still would want one. Yeah, real-life object. I have
Starting point is 01:08:14 a lightsaber, but I don't have... Yeah, no. I'm not a collector. You know, okay. I have a similar one. I found one similar, but in Captain America Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers has a blue jacket. that I absolutely love
Starting point is 01:08:32 and I researched it and it was made specifically for the film but I found one last year at Macy's that's similar but yeah he's got a really great blue jacket that I just love I'm very proud of you yeah there you go all right okay let's see next one and GoPow follows that up he said I remember stalking it
Starting point is 01:08:48 on the Omega website as early as 1997 when there's barely internet I finally bought one for on Christmas 23 one yeah there you go Mike yeah people people love watches I'm not a watch guy but they're my best friend he's a watch guy i wonder someone's going to ask a question about watches go pal side note are any you guys watch people i know that christian mentioned dune gave him one of the hamiltons but i don't think i've ever seen wearing a watch i was for a long time but since the the
Starting point is 01:09:13 the phone i'd like to collect them to be honest i've got because i've had a few sponsors who have watches and yeah i have that dune watch and it's like a prized possession of mine because it's deneville leon yeah for the second one so there was like this limited edition thing that um the hamilton watch that came out and it was an omega thing. And so he was, then he was part of crafting it. And there's only, I don't remember how many there are,
Starting point is 01:09:38 but it was, it's like a very rare watch. So she just showed, yeah, I got one. I got one. I love one. I'm real proud of you.
Starting point is 01:09:43 Oh, yeah. You know, what can I say about me except me? All right. Mike Joyce, Steph, I heard about the,
Starting point is 01:09:49 have you heard about the Taylor Lawtoner werewolf movie? Oh, that is, that is true. I did. I did too. That is, that is true.
Starting point is 01:09:56 And I probably should have covered that today. Wait, what happened? I'll bring it up. I'll bring it up because that's a... It's an interesting concept. I completely forgot about that. I'm so afraid. Let me bring it up.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Hold on. Why would you touch the most perfect franchise? No, I don't think it's going to be Twilight related. Hold on. Oh, okay. Yeah, you should do a Twilight rewatch with Harry. I have and he won't let me post any of it.
Starting point is 01:10:24 It's the best. That's amazing. All right. Taylor Lautner to hunt werewolves on TV. Here is the story. Taylor Lautner reportedly set to star and executive produced the scripted series. Taylor Lautner, Werewolf Hunter. It's in development at Amazon.
Starting point is 01:10:42 Indie Studios is behind the project, which is a meta-comedy that pokes fun at his post-Filight career. Whereas Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have a career, no, no, sorry, are still regularly appearing in major films. Lawtoner did a few comedies like Adam. sailors movies and TV shows like cuckoo and scream queens otherwise he's vanished the series runs with the idea that he wasn't taking a break rather he was preparing for his real calling werewolf hunting in this series he plays himself as he's drawn to a secret society werewolf trackers who need his unique expertise all right so now you know step um look for me i hear this story and i go look man do what you got to do i think this is funny at first i was very apprehensive and like thought this was going to be serious And that would have been so so sad. But instead it feels the meta-comedy part of it, I do think it's funny. He married this like adorable woman named Taylor in their Taylor and Taylor. And he's had kind of a resurgence and they have a podcast together and people love them.
Starting point is 01:11:49 So I feel like he's very self-aware of how Twilight was perceived and also what it did with for him and now post-Tolns. So this could be really funny. We'll see. I mean, he never was the best actor, though. That's the problem. So we'll,
Starting point is 01:12:07 but we'll see. Maybe he's, maybe he's gotten better. Yeah. EWalk. I have no issue with casting an American as Dumbledore, but I was surprised to read the Lithgow will turn 80 this year. And it could be 90 when the show ends.
Starting point is 01:12:18 Yeah, agreed. Um, that's exactly. EWalk, I'm, I'm with you on that, obviously.
Starting point is 01:12:23 Um, yeah, I got no problem with him being American. Um, because he's done, he's done, he was great. is Churchill who's amazing as Churchill.
Starting point is 01:12:31 But yeah, he's going to be almost 90, if not older by the time the show ends. So that could be a problem. Roman, Fedorak, hey, all, I hope this day is treating you well. What are some signs for you that a movie has been re-shot heavily?
Starting point is 01:12:47 I'm especially curious if you notice the reshoots for Cap 4 as you watched it. Thanks. No, I didn't notice it and I don't necessarily know. I mean, you can tell if it's, I mean, well, I guess the answer to that is it does seem kind of edited strangely and kind of erratic at times. So that could be an indication.
Starting point is 01:13:05 But yeah, go ahead, Mike. For me, it's Whigs. Wigs, that's a great. It's actually, it's actually a great point. I'm going to tell you this. Well, one, a big one is, is Justice League. In the mustache. Justice League, not even the mustache stuff. Watch Affleck in that film.
Starting point is 01:13:21 Like, you see, in scenes, he switches like his hair and like his face gets heavier. but also the worst one I've ever seen is Boyd Holbrook and Predders. Just Google Boyd-Hawbrook reshoot Predders. And they do side by side. Who put this wig on this man? It's ridiculous. Is it that bad? Ridiculous.
Starting point is 01:13:41 Yeah, it's pretty bad. All right. Damn. Go, pal. I rewatched a faculty last night. I haven't seen that movie in a long time. It's an underrated movie. I don't even know.
Starting point is 01:13:49 I don't even know if I've ever seen it, to be honest with you. That's a good movie. I forgot it was Robert Rodriguez and that's what I knew. I knew it was Kevin Williamson. and a killer soundtrack. Oh, I keep meaning to make this point. I did not love the score in Captain America,
Starting point is 01:14:05 Brave New World. I thought it was, I thought it was intrusive. I thought that there's, I thought that it felt like it was trying, really good music doesn't have to tell you, you should feel sad now. It just makes you feel sad.
Starting point is 01:14:20 It's like, you know, it's like there's, you should feel like he's the hero right now. He's the hero. Feel it with this music. we're swelling it and it's like we get it calm down with the music and I'm you know with me in music I'm like I'm usually really important I did not like the music the musical score in Catherine
Starting point is 01:14:38 I never hear people say that about the score I thought it was intrusive that's score really you know you know me in music though music is is the most important things for me too I'm very I've always loved music and especially the movie film I think had I not pointed out to you probably wouldn't have thought about it, but like you, I think now that I brought it up to you, it's like the opening, it's just like so bombastic at times. And I'm like, just bring it down a little bit. It's like it's just not, it didn't feel like it even fit some of the scenes. So, maybe it did. Maybe it was made for one of the other movies. Maybe, maybe so. Maybe so. And they just had to patch it in there. Yeah. But as far as the faculty goes, go pal, I'm going to, I think I'm going to go, maybe put that
Starting point is 01:15:20 on, you know what, go pal, I'm going to put that on the list. I want to put that on the list on as far as, now the beauty of doing all these reactions now is even things that I haven't. There's a few of these that I haven't seen. So I want to do some of them. I almost put Tina, Tina came over yesterday and I almost put on Craven. But I was like, you know what? Because I had never seen it still.
Starting point is 01:15:41 And I'm like, I can't do that to her. Every time she comes over to watch like something she's excited to see, I throw on something else. So I just, we watched NussFrog too. Yeah, go pal. The cast is all names. Fimka Jensen, Josh Harden, Elijah Wood, Salma Hayek, John Stewart, Jordana Brewster,
Starting point is 01:15:56 plus a cameo from Harry Knowles from AICN. It was never a big Harry Noles guy. But this is great. That's a great cast. I'm looking forward to seeing it for sure. Calvin Severo Panho. I just watched some review for Cap. Tell, don't show.
Starting point is 01:16:15 And I got curious, what happened to Eli Bradley? No one talks about him since Falcon. Nobody even mentions him for Young Avengers. That was, I was that Isaiah's nephew? somewhere that they wanted to put him in it, but there are just too many characters. And he wasn't really... Is that Isaiah's nephew? Is that what that is? It's a younger kid. He eventually becomes Patriot.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Okay. Yeah, he's not in the movie. I'll tell you that I, Isaiah was good in the movie, too, by the way. But my question is for casuals, you know, if you didn't see Falcon and Winter Soldier, do you have that same connection to him? Because, yeah, because he just kind of, he shows up in the movie. And I'm like, oh, I know who that is. I watched the series. But if you didn't watch the series, I don't know. Derek Johnson now coming in hot
Starting point is 01:16:55 to help out and push you guys over. Zeus Fleming. I'm headed to see you tonight. Zeus, let us know what you thought about. I'm very curious. What's up,
Starting point is 01:17:03 Jenny? Jenny Lynn, support for Mike and stuff. I had a good job interview this week. That's amazing. Sending positive vibes to you all too. Thank you, too.
Starting point is 01:17:10 Love this community. Sent positive vibes to you then. Get that job. Derek throwing in support. Mike, Joyce. Support. Keep being you on Twitter, Mike. Sometimes.
Starting point is 01:17:19 Sometimes. Derek Johnson. Hey, no, I throw support for everybody. Derek Johnson does so support him for everybody. Yeah, thanks Derek. He does. Al Rensha, what are the chances we get Red Hulk and Thunderbolts?
Starting point is 01:17:31 They have to bring in muscle to fight Century because the Thunderbolts have no chance. Did Harrison Ford sign on to more than one movie? I don't know. I don't know. The way that this movie ends, they could easily say, we're not going to see him for a long time or ever again. Or it could easily be, but it could. easily could be.
Starting point is 01:17:55 Yeah, he's right back in the next movie. So the way that the movie ends, you could set it up. You don't tell me how it ends. I'm not telling you, I'm just telling you that they set it up in a way that it's not a spoiler. Just they set it up, set it up that he could either be there or not be there.
Starting point is 01:18:09 That's all I'm saying. So that's why when you answer the chances. Okay, Derek Johnson, support. Thank you, Jay. Thank you. Paul Marquez, Queen Steph. There you go, Queenstaff. Calum fading. You should let the initial credits play for Sam on end game.
Starting point is 01:18:25 There's great tributes to the actors and no post credit scene. We actually did watch that. We did watch that for sure. Okay. Let's say next one. And we get, where is it? I'm almost there. Are you guys watching Corbykeye, by the way, the new one until the end of the season? No. I haven't watched the end yet. Derek Johnson. Thank you, Derek.
Starting point is 01:18:46 There's a bunch here from Derek. Call me Jabba. You know what? Someone coined this and I have to give the person their credit. We are now calling it the Sam C.U. Which I love. The Sam C.U. It's really good. Okay. The Sam C.U. We watch. I most hype for is The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Starting point is 01:19:05 Gwenya, that's, I think that that's going to get her. I think No Way Home is going to get her. I think Guardians 3 is going to put her out. She's going to be in bad shape with Guardians 3. Joshua Gonzalez. I'll pretend to be an influencer and go pure critic. Good luck to you. They'll catch on quick.
Starting point is 01:19:28 Mike Joyce, someone raised this question in the comments section the other day, and I'm curious now, why don't you put your host social in the episode description? Well, I'll start doing it. There you go. You don't know. Yeah, you know what?
Starting point is 01:19:42 Luke and PLD are watching right now. Can we just fix the settings and put everybody social in there? there you go you guys just fix the problem um Derek Johnson there's been three legitimately bad MCU projects um multiverse of madness which I didn't love I agree secret invasion I didn't even I didn't finish watch two episodes I don't disagree Thor 11 Thunder yep over decade and he didn't know you you missed the whole let me rewrite that for you Derek there's been four legitimately really bad MCU projects met multiverse of madness secret invasion Thor 11 Thunder and the marvels over a decade. The rest were just fine and some
Starting point is 01:20:20 were amazing. I'll jump on the, they're in trouble train when they hit me with DCEU level movies. RQMD, SMD, support for Steph and Mike's dogs. Yeah. Well, dogs were whining. Okay. And the next one here as we are getting
Starting point is 01:20:38 to the line again, you guys are currently with 40 minutes left. 99. Okay. In about 141 or something. Yeah, they're almost there. Almost there. It's like every week you guys are crushing,
Starting point is 01:20:53 but it's just like still not good enough. Servitor, I believe in Mike. Also, Dark Matter was awesome. It sure was. Have you watched Dark Matter, Steph? If you say no, you better, I'm gonna be mad at you. Oh my gosh. Come on.
Starting point is 01:21:05 How do you not watch Dark Matter? You would love that show. That's not subtitles. Not subtitles. Oh, oh, that show. Yes, yes, I did. On Apple. I thought you were talking about.
Starting point is 01:21:14 No, no, not dark. Not dark. Dark. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Joel Edgerton and, great show, great show. I was going to say,
Starting point is 01:21:21 it's such your show. I can't believe you are. Yes, yes, yes. Apple's killing it for me. They're really good, yeah. AD, is this the worst Captain America movie or on par with the First Avenger?
Starting point is 01:21:29 No way, I love the First Avenger. Also, how does this affect Marvel from getting a Cap sequel? Is it 100% the worst out of the four? There's no doubt about it. It's the worst out of the four. Yeah, so
Starting point is 01:21:43 does it affect Marvel from getting a cap sequel? Probably. but it's not the last we'll see of Anthony Mackey's Captain America there's no way he'll pop up in the Avengers for sure Um Miriam Soerni Moon, Danny you watch the pit
Starting point is 01:21:56 I know Roxy does she talks about it on the show at the time she loves it. Do you guys watch the pit? No. I just watch my buddies was in one episodes I watched it. It's like ER meets 24. Oh yeah, it's not for me. Derek Johnson. Clear this up for future. Yes, I'm a
Starting point is 01:22:12 Roka fan, but I also support Christian in all the shows. My first big donation since I did with Winston, and I've done some of it on every day. I enjoy the show as a whole on Donate Tavern. I know you do. I know you do. I just said that in the beginning where it's like normally when Roca is getting to that high level, it's usually because you're in there kicking ass.
Starting point is 01:22:29 And on Tuesday, it's usually because not that you don't, you put in on Tuesday also with Roxy, but Crystal is the one who's throwing her over the line every single time. Rob Tastic, do you think, do you guys think that they should do an extended cut for cap for when it's on streaming to make a better movie. Do they have a better movie? I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, the question is, yeah, we don't know
Starting point is 01:22:55 if they have a better movie. Clearly they don't. Otherwise, they would have pieced it together and put it out there. So Ryan Ferris, what's a movie that you were initially lukewarm on that you came around to and found it super charming and enjoyable? Well, thanks for asking. I'll say it's Wonka. I know. Oh, yeah. Go ahead, Rox. Steph, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:23:12 Rocks. we're talking about how wonderful she is. Yeah. For me, it's love, not with the Thunder, Ragnarok. Ragnarok, yeah. I hated it. I don't when I first saw.
Starting point is 01:23:23 I remember. Yeah, but I, it's are my favorites now. One of my favorites in the MCU. It's really funny. Yeah, it's got a good blend. We just watched it again. It's got such a good blend of,
Starting point is 01:23:31 of, yeah. And I still, I love Korg. I just love him. Even when he was in end game. Oh, he's so good. It's so good. To me, to me, the unsung hero of that movie is Mark Ruffalo.
Starting point is 01:23:41 he puts on he's like look at me on Tony Stark he puts the glasses on yeah why he's canceled die yeah it's good what about you Seth a movie that I was initially Luke warm on yeah you said oh that's pretty damn good you don't know
Starting point is 01:23:58 so you saw the second time and thought that yeah like for me like when I saw if you watch my out of the theater reaction for Wanka I'm like he's fine you know for a for a direct sequel which it is I think that it
Starting point is 01:24:13 and then I went and I saw it with my kids and I'm like this is a really good movie it just makes you it's like a really really good feel good movie yeah you know a movie will never I didn't like you know probably never come around to it mm do into you stupid asshole oh my god okay well that's because you're a moron it's like it's like uh what's her face um nebula careful to tell him rowdy walking in there's a moron over here an idiot. That's an idiot. All right, you think about that stuff.
Starting point is 01:24:48 Arrata, Jack Sparrow, Mike. Also, how bad is Mike's road rage? Oh, you've got to have horrible road rage. It's got to be so entertaining. How do you ask that? Why did you ask that? Did you hear stories? No, because he watches you on the show.
Starting point is 01:25:00 Here's the funniest thing ever. I got a second real quick. So one, I like to talk to text, you know, hold my phone up. I'm driving. I'll be texting. I was talking to Shannon McClung. You know, geek buddy Shannon McClough.
Starting point is 01:25:11 I'm texting him. I'm like, hey man. I just left Trader Joe You're joining me up for the Motherfuck God What the fuck You piece of shit out in front of me I wrote that in the text
Starting point is 01:25:23 Oh my God And he has it It is a paragraph Oh can you please Can you tell him Can you tell him to text? No tell him to text them to text them right now Or you send it to me
Starting point is 01:25:36 And I'll put it on the screen I don't have it right now No moron face text him Text years ago Text him to see if he has Let me see if I can get a hold of him. All right. Mike Joyce,
Starting point is 01:25:46 did you see the new Mission Impossible photo release the other day? Does it imply to you that Ethan is going to free dive in his underwear in the Arctic? It's certainly, you could certainly see him doing that. Oh my gosh. I totally see him doing that. So it's going to be some crazy stunts. That's what he does.
Starting point is 01:26:01 That's what he does. Mirjam, support for Steph. And yes, you too, Mike. Thank you. Yeah, that's right. Okay. So, yeah, people don't understand. Never mind.
Starting point is 01:26:11 I'm seeing you where that stupid comment. Let's go next one. And here is, this one is from Spoonastic, 97. 95, excuse me, I don't know how I got 97 out of that. Got to say, I was skeptical, but that Sophie's Choice prequel series trailer looks great. What? Feels like this could be the break. Is this the joke?
Starting point is 01:26:31 Yes, Spoonastic always writes these. So that's terrible. He's really good. He's really good. That's so funny. He's really good. Nick Frost is a breakover. He's really, really good.
Starting point is 01:26:47 Oh, I have an answer now, and it's a show, not a movie. Okay, what you got? Okay, Luke Warm About, and now I love Severance. The first three episodes, Oh, okay. Yeah, Sam, that's great, right. Now I'm like, seated. You're hooked, yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:01 The last episode, I'm all cut up now. The last episode was great. So good. Yeah, it was good. Calvin Severo Panhope. I feel like you should go to Sam Ramey after Far from Home because that movie really is coded to the Infinity War. No, because.
Starting point is 01:27:13 of the post credit scene. That's why. Post credit scene would be more confused about if you don't Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Uh, Abel. Thank you, Abel. Very, very, very kind. All right, let's see. Next one in here, as we are now 103 guys, um, Abel and that says,
Starting point is 01:27:30 I am. I don't know. Steph, can you hear me? I can hear you. I don't hear you know. Okay. I think it's a you problem. It's a you problem. Can you hear me? you sign out and come back in I didn't push anything.
Starting point is 01:27:46 You get out what sign out I don't understand come back here you cut me off your I see you're doing a harlough thing no idiot no no fucking harl off thing okay everyone I love that everyone can hear him I love that everyone can hear him too which is hilarious here hold on I get the text now for my this is a joke this is insane I love
Starting point is 01:28:08 this is the definition of only him only him making ass out of you and me Only him. Can you text this idiot and tell him to sign back out? Because we can, everybody can hear. Can you hear us now? Only him. I don't need a whole story.
Starting point is 01:28:25 Only him. Just fine and send it to me. I love, that's so good. I don't need a whole story. He says. What? How does this keep happening to him? This is on par with this moment in Anaheim.
Starting point is 01:28:45 I love that we can actually hear him. Did you tell him to sign out and come again? I know your fucking thing you're saying, man. What an idiot. Mike, Mike, Kevin Smiths was way better than you. You better? Can you hear you?
Starting point is 01:28:56 You're muted. I texted him. Oh, my God. Mike, you were such an overrated interview player. You're so overrated. Oh, shit. You might be the worst ever. No one likes you.
Starting point is 01:29:07 The fact that he thinks no one can hear him. No. Listen, I got to tell you, there are so many players. There were so many players better than you. Like so many. And I didn't like dealing with you. I thought you were a baby. This is a joke.
Starting point is 01:29:22 This is a joke. You might be the, you might be the worst person I ever dealt with. Your Twitter is the worst. Your breath stinks. You're the worst. You're absolutely the worst person I've ever met my life. No, why is he checking the comments?
Starting point is 01:29:34 Check your text. Check your text. Oh my God. I can't hear them. Come on. This is like for real. Circa early pandemic when like old people had to use Mike I'm gonna tell you one thing
Starting point is 01:29:50 If you weren't on this show right now Steph would have 345 Super Chess But because you're on it She loses every week because of you I'll be right back give me you're an absolute imbecile And no one likes you You know that It's only him
Starting point is 01:30:11 Old man It's the best Huh? What I mean really You guys like are should be the same vibe, but he is giving 75. That's the absolute best. Absolutely best. And I love, and you know the, here,
Starting point is 01:30:28 here he comes. Can he hear us now? Yeah, now I hear you. Can you hear me? Yeah, can you hear us? We heard, we always heard you. I know you did. I couldn't hear you. That was the best. Oh, Michael, that makes it even funnier that you were just talking. That was absolutely best. Okay. I couldn't hear you.
Starting point is 01:30:45 Now, we've had enough of you. Christian was Sam sad when Steve retired the same way she wasn't telling him. Not the same way because she was happy for him. She was happy for him and she was happy about the Peggy stuff. So no, not the same way. But she was definitely, you know, she was sad because she loves cat. Kyle Wilson. Howdy.
Starting point is 01:31:05 What Marvel property could attract Nolan? Didn't he say he didn't want to do it? Or did he say, which one? He said one of them that you wouldn't want to do. I can't remember. And I don't know. Mike, do you think of a Nolan property that he could do? I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:31:16 I don't think he did. He wanted to do comic book movies and he's on his own. That's it. Yeah. Nathan Drake, has anyone seen Betterman yet? It came out on digital. I'm curious to check it out. Same director's greatest show,
Starting point is 01:31:26 which I've heard nothing but great things about that movie. I just, not a lot of people have seen it. Yeah, I don't know why I saw it and I just don't have the impulse yet, but I think I'm going to check it out. Okay. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:31:39 Next one. Thank you again, Nathan. Okay. We get some more support from Derek, we're mad sinister Macal, Mike, Adrian Brody decides he wants to kick your door down at 3 a.m. And he wants to fight you. Who's going to win in a
Starting point is 01:31:54 hand-to-hand combat? Harloff, could you be Brody? Is Brody a fighter? Is he a brawler? Are we talking about the pianist actor? I'll say this. If I'm going against Adrian Brody and Predators, I might be in for a world of hurt. But if I got Adrian Brody and the Brutalist, I'm taking it down.
Starting point is 01:32:11 Yeah, I don't feel like he's lanky's got reach, but I don't know. not coordinated he is so random yeah Nathan Drake I love the Lithgow choice for Dumbledore also can we hear what Richard Harris thinks about the casting maybe Michael Kane can chime in sure hold on let's see if we can do this I don't have any music to go along with me at the moment but Mr. Kane I loved your work in Jaws for but there was no Lithgow there was no litigation there was nothing
Starting point is 01:32:46 except me and my casting. So how say you, what say you, do you like shoes? What I do is if I'm deciding if I'm going to take a part like I did with the Jules 4 is if I need another addition to the house, because that bought me a game room, they call a main cave. So right now I'm sitting pretty, I'm retired, but if I were to need an addition like a fourth bathroom, because the misses likes to have her own toilet trees and they go all over the place,
Starting point is 01:33:14 If I'm going to put it in another bathroom, I think I'll go in there, and I'll think there's a pot in Harry Potter books where there's a rat. I think I just heard it. Perfect. All right. Some more support from Derek Johnson. Thank you, Nathan, for that one, too. Please come back with no sound again. Oh.
Starting point is 01:33:38 He's muted. Okay. The sink lord. Sam's a real one. I don't think she vived with Captain Marvel. We'll see. there's a there's a there's a poll currently and the poll what is the poll say? I can't see it where is it there it is a poll right now at 580 votes.
Starting point is 01:33:58 No 46% say that she liked it 54 said that she didn't. Oh, they're all you're signing with me. Yep. Derek Johnson throwing in some support. Thank you, Derek. Okay, this one is from RODV-66. Harlov, great work. Thank you, man.
Starting point is 01:34:14 Steph, you're amazing and beautiful. Mike, I like you. I got your back. Unfortunately, I don't make a lot of money. All I can do is one comment for you guys today. That's more than enough. More than enough. Love from El Paso.
Starting point is 01:34:25 El Paso. I was just in El Paso. Hey, buddy, have you ever eaten at cattleman's steak? A cattleman's ranch? What's the taco places that they have, Torchies or whatever it is? Torchies tacos. That's like a generic tacos.
Starting point is 01:34:36 Yeah, but it's good. No, Catleman's Ranch. Anything in El Paso, Texas. Let me tell you something. You want some steaks. Holy. Good stuff. I went there for,
Starting point is 01:34:44 a wedding. Can we talk about Torches? Triches is really good. All right. Derek Johnson, I try to get into the Lord of the Rings show. I just think the, I think reading the books made me not enjoy the show. So many things diverge. I just lost interest. Yeah. See later, Mike. Bye, Mike.
Starting point is 01:35:02 Oh, again, I'm going to come back. Yeah, I think that a lot of people felt that way. Yeah. It seemed to be that. That's a lot of people did say that, at least in comments, too. Derek also follows it up. They're making a Gallum movie. they made a video game about it and it was rated 2.8 out of a 10. I mean, maybe they'll do a little bit more with it. You know, you got Andy Circus involved.
Starting point is 01:35:22 You got Peter Jackson and Fran involved. So we'll see what happens. Call me Jabba. If Rings gets a third season, Mr. and Smith needs a season two. You know what's funny about that show? I really enjoyed it for the first couple of episodes. And I don't know why I lost interest in it.
Starting point is 01:35:36 I bailed on it. I am with you. It fell off for me. I finished it. Yes, I finished it. And to me, the first few episodes, were so strong, but then when I got to the Ron Perlman episode and it had, which I think was the point that you just don't, he find out anything about him.
Starting point is 01:35:56 That I was like, oh, okay, I guess I see they, they have a clear POV. I just don't think it's necessarily working that well for me at the end. So Derek Johnson, have either of you seen Beastmaster with Mark Singer? Of course. Of course. If so, how would you compare that to Craven? I haven't seen Craving yet, but Mike can talk about that. What I will say, did you know this, Mike?
Starting point is 01:36:15 Do you know who Mark Singer's sister is? Sally Singer? No, Lori Singer from Footloose. I never knew that. I don't know who that is. You ever see Footloose? That baby. No, Eric, no, you're thinking of dirty dancing.
Starting point is 01:36:31 She's Ariel from, John Lithgow, his daughter in Footloose. That's his sister. I never knew that until recently. Oh, it's a very different movie, Gary. very different. Okay. Yeah, I haven't, I got to, I got to see. Beast Master's sci-fi fantasy and Craved is not.
Starting point is 01:36:47 I still need to see Craven. They should do a remake to Beast Master, by the way. Sported swords and sorcery doesn't do too well. They haven't done it well. Derek Johnson, I just watched the Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl, and my God, these original voice actors and music just can't be touched. I know the new movies have made money, but the original will forever be iconic. Oh, I don't think anyone was going to argue with you on that.
Starting point is 01:37:09 No. No, no way. Steph, same, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Nathan Drake, what is big balls doing for Valentine's Day? What do you think he's doing, stuff?
Starting point is 01:37:25 He's probably really busy. Are you making your rounds? Unfortunately, I'm going to be in court. Why? Yeah. You didn't hear the news? There's some little motherfucker out there. Sorry for my love.
Starting point is 01:37:41 language, I won't say little. There's some very dirty motherfuckers out there. And one of them is going by the name of Big Balls. Yeah, he took Big Balls. He took my monica and it was trending on Twitter and nobody except the few viewers on this show. Sorry, Harlow, you got nothing. But they stole my shit. So they said, hey, you want to fight this shit? I said, yes, I'm going to court. That's what I'm doing. And then I'm going to bang the judge. that that should give you a good result so the court dates Friday yes and I'm gonna have a steak to celebrate no because I need to shit
Starting point is 01:38:24 oh oh okay okay that makes more sense right okay yeah I love you stuff love you okay bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye you know bitch oh you left all right oh you want to say goodbye you know fucking balls that's why big balls lost his balls
Starting point is 01:38:42 So funny. You see like this I saw big balls trending. There's the most tweets I ever got was, uh, was people telling me that big balls was trending on Twitter. It's hilarious. Um, all right. Let's see. Next one here. Uh, what does big balls doing for Valentine's Day?
Starting point is 01:38:57 He's going to be in court as he just told us. Derek, Valentine's Day, do you believe it is a made up holiday or true holiday, express your love to someone special? I, I think it's a, it's a fun one to do when you're first dating.
Starting point is 01:39:10 You know, I think it's a fun one to do in like, middle school and you're passing around little cards to each other and like Jeff you and me you and Harry like Ken and I were both like we're not doing anything right like no yeah yeah I'm the same I'm gonna say my wife too she threw me for a loop this year she was like she goes hey I bought for the last for the last 12 years or more like we're not we don't bite we cook each other I cook I used to cook steaks for us that's what I did for a bit and then I that make us dinner or whatever we do something like that but nothing
Starting point is 01:39:40 to and we never get ourselves gifts she goes I got you such a great gift this year. I go, what the hell are you doing? Bullshit. That's good. I mean, come on. Are we getting gifts? Are we not?
Starting point is 01:39:50 I mean, what is the deal? What are we doing? Yeah, come on. Valentine's Day. So yeah, I'm only going to make cares on this panel. Maramuth haunts. What a cool name that is. Apparently, the Muppets have the most views of any Super Bowl ad from this year.
Starting point is 01:40:03 What would you like to see Disney do with the Muppets? I would want to see them cover classic literature like The Odyssey. You know what's so weird about that? I think that it makes sense. that they do well on commercials. People like that nostalgia stuff in the commercials, but people don't go out of their way to watch it. Because I remember the last few things they've done with the Muppets hasn't really popped. I mean, I like
Starting point is 01:40:19 that Jason Segal one. Oh, am I a man? I'm going to say something. You guys will probably will not be surprised. I don't like the Muppets. I don't get the love of them. Oh, well, you're not a good person. All right, Joey Pedrus, gifted five memberships. Thank you, Joey.
Starting point is 01:40:37 We've got a lot of new people coming in, so I appreciate that. Kyle Wilson. Steph, what's your favorite Lebanese dish. Great question that is. Oh my gosh. There's so many. Probably Dolmas or stuffed zucchini. But no one makes lamb like the Lebanese. I'll tell you that. A rack of lamb. Oh, so good.
Starting point is 01:40:59 All right. There you go. Perfect suggestion there. Kyle Wilson. Mike, where's Jack Sparrow? I haven't had time to work on him. It's been a busy week. It's been a busy week, guys. I'm sorry. Boston lady. I got the hello fresh from your code, Christian, and I still have it to this day. I love that. It makes cooking dinner for my boyfriend and I love the channel. Thank you, Boston Lady. And I always love it. Like I say, obviously, yes, you help the channel
Starting point is 01:41:23 when you do that. But I always want you to get something you think would benefit you guys. And I'm glad that that is benefiting you. So that's amazing. Derek, don't support in there. Boston Lady following up. Makes cooking easier. It really does. It really, really does. Spoonastic, 95. Mike's new Blue Jack. packet fund perfect thank you Derek Johnson thrown in there's port my joyce coming in Roxie had a good one yesterday on Instagram do you have any I was today years old when I realized stories easier recently or in the past yeah I just gave you Mark Singer was Lori Singer's brother no idea that was a thing I didn't
Starting point is 01:41:59 know that Ray Fein spelled his name as Ralph Finne as until recently remember on FCFCL oh so okay so recent So recently, in the last like couple of years. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was crazy.
Starting point is 01:42:17 Yeah. This is what I love about Mike as a co-host. Doesn't do anything. He's just right in the middle of a shot just gets up and leaves. He's so reliable. Just, it's what I like about you, Mike, full pro. Just right in the middle of a question. Just get up and just leave the chair.
Starting point is 01:42:31 It's great. You shut your mouth. I'd have to take care of something. Oh, sure. Why not? What do I have? I want you to charge me less than you normally do. Rocky McFly.
Starting point is 01:42:39 This is from Mike. It's a huge James Bond fan. I just. want to say I love your books on bond also have you watched the new bond documentary from roger moore with love have you watched that no i haven't there you go now you know about it you didn't even know about it i know i was two years old when i found out they had a document and roger more oh okay okay i'll watch that thank you thank you for love with the book thank you um all right Derek throwing in a couple support you're at 112 now guys okay 15 15 minutes left
Starting point is 01:43:10 112? Yeah. All right. So I know how to say his name now. So can you, let's see who's who am I going to say has the better shot of actually pronouncing this right out of the two I have on? Oh man. I hate to do this, but I think Mike's got a closer, a better shot at hitting this.
Starting point is 01:43:31 Steph, you go first. What am I? Oh, his. pronounce his last name. Oh. And I'll tell you who got it right if anybody. Okay. Di Agostini. Okay. And Mike.
Starting point is 01:43:47 De Oostini. You didn't even pronounce half of it. DiGustini. You just said the same thing Steph just said. Di Augustini. It's not, I like how you're trying to actually show that you've got some class. It's, it's close. It's, it's, it's, it's, D'Gostini. Degostini.
Starting point is 01:44:04 Degostini. The ghostini. Big boss couldn't do it. He was, he's getting ready for. for his scene. Favorite movie score, Dawn H. Mine is the Empire Shricks Back. I got to tell you, James Horner's Braveheart is
Starting point is 01:44:17 probably the best. Tim Burricks, Batman. The whole score or just the theme? Well, he said the score. Yeah, the score. So you like the whole score. Are you talking to, no, it's the whole score. I wasn't sure if you were referring to just the theme. Because the score, it's... I read
Starting point is 01:44:34 the question correctly and I answer correctly. Yeah, the list of any of sound on. my favorite right now in the past few years is the Spider-verse score. I listen to that the most. It's going to. Matthew Bolton, Percy Jackson movies versus show is a perfect example of adaptation. Yes, being faithful in the show made it number one for Disney Plus. It's a great point, Matthew.
Starting point is 01:44:56 And it's actually why my daughter got excited because she loved the book so much. And when she, I remember her watching the series going, they actually did the stuff that all the fans wanted to see. And that's what you do. And that's why you have an opportunity to do it with streaming. And I wish more people would do that. Derek Johnson, Mike, is a fellow DC diehard. Are you nervous about how much pressure is on the Superman movie to not just be okay?
Starting point is 01:45:22 But it feels like it has to be great. I don't feel the pressure because I have nothing invested. Nothing on the line. But I can't imagine what they're dealing, the pressure that D.C.'s got to be feeling. But also I think, you know, I don't know, I look at it like this. You know, the first Iron Man movie, if that didn't do well, we wouldn't be where we are today. But they just had faith in the director, faith in the cast. Sure, there was some like uncertain. R.D.J. was not a certain. It wasn't a, they were like, oof, we don't know if this is going to work. Yeah. And they just
Starting point is 01:45:59 put the right people in front of the camera and behind the camera and let them make a movie. And it seems like that's, it doesn't seem like we're hearing any inner. interference from anyone else. Right now. Coming in going, don't do, oh, so it's like they're making the movie they want to make. Now it's up to audiences to see if we like that.
Starting point is 01:46:16 Derek Johnson, they did say he signed on for multiple movies. Talking about Harrison Ford and Captain America. Yeah, so if that's the case, you probably could see him again. Derek, the marvels are okay.
Starting point is 01:46:28 I wouldn't say bad. I would. But I understand why people say it because the story was just not serviced at all. The action was great. I'm not looking forward to watching it again with Sam. I'll tell you, I'm telling you, that, that music scene on that planet was the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
Starting point is 01:46:42 It was so stupid. It had nothing to do with any Marvel movie except like, oh, there would be a fun gimmick. We made everybody singing on the planet. What are he talking about? It was horrible. It was horrible. Alexander Wilson, I was listening to a show and they said, the people at Marvel have no faith in Cap 4 and just want to put it out and move on a
Starting point is 01:47:00 daredevil and Thunderbolts, which they said are infinitely better project thoughts. It kind of lines up. It kind of lines up. I haven't seen Fagie talking about Cap 4. So what I mean? It kind of line out there, especially during like the premiere. Did they have the official red carpet for it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:19 So I didn't even see him out there talking about it. He probably was, but it hasn't been as promoted. It does seem like they're like, okay, look, we're putting it out. We're doing it. We're going to, we'll put the promotion on it. We'll do it. And then, yeah, in March, Daredevil comes. Let's hope everybody starts talking about Daredevil.
Starting point is 01:47:35 And then right after Daredevil, if we hit as hard as we, want to with that, then May got Thunderbolts, and then if that hits, then Fantastic Four, and by the time we get a Fantastic Four, everybody will have forgotten that it was disappointing. So I wouldn't be surprised if they did that. What do you think, Steph? Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't be surprised either. That's kind of how it feels like, though I can't, I do think that they probably gave it they're all just under the conditions.
Starting point is 01:48:01 It was, it feels like it was a little hard. Nathan Drake, chances that you like love and thunder more when watching with Sam, slim to none. I started to watch, I tried to watch it because I was going to watch it with my, because my daughter and I did it, well, I did a Marvel rewatch and she was watching it for the first time a few years ago. And we got up to, we, I think we hit end game and then I can remember we went after that. We might have gotten to far from home with my daughter. No, no, no, we got farther than that because she watched Wanda Vision. She watched Loki season one. And because we, we watched a bunch because I took her to Ant Man quantum man.
Starting point is 01:48:37 Um, but we never watched Love and Thunder because at one point I was going to watch that with her. And I started when it, when it hit Disney Plus, I was like, I'll watch the first 10 minutes and see. And I shut it off before I could even, it's, it's, it's horrible. It is horrible. It's like, it's like, it's like Saturday Live asked Chris Hemsworth to play Thor in a scene in the same way that what's his face from a gladator to what's Paul Meskell? Like that you see, do you see that when he was doing the music? version of a gladiator two on saturday night life yeah that's what door four was it was it was him doing that but except he was actually he wanted us to believe it was the same character that we've seen
Starting point is 01:49:19 in all those movies it's like he didn't evolve at all after he went through that entire emotional run of what happened in end game he goes through this whole thing and now he's a goofy idiot again and it's horrible it's absolutely it's a it's a disgrace that movie um all right next one is go pal that's because you're a moron reminded me of Veronica's dad from heathers that should go on the list if you haven't have someone who hasn't seen it I can't imagine there's I mean you got to remember the people that I have it like Tina Sadie and Sam are all 80s 90s kids so um they've they've all seen that movie but I'll put it on there and see because there was there was some I put on there that I have to take off because even Sam saw some of these um although Sam's never seen the
Starting point is 01:50:04 Matrix, which is interesting. That I'm very excited about. So good. Yeah, support for Thank you. Yeah, 124. You need about 120 to or something like that.
Starting point is 01:50:18 Easy. With 10 minutes to go. Don H. Support for Mike's hearing. Yep. What? RQ. MDSMD.
Starting point is 01:50:29 Support for Steph and old man Mike. Yeah. There you go. Mike Joyce Mike needs Snickers to sponsor him he really does whole he would be yeah perfect man Mike do you go out for commercials I don't anymore oh that's a missed offered I feel like you could be like a dos Ackis but like funnier version yeah definitely yeah the diva for snickers for snickers
Starting point is 01:50:59 for snickers the hangar in the creative I know you guys said the Grogu film will do well but do you think with the misses of Acolyte, uh, skeleton crew in Mando season three that this movie may underperform or bomb. It won't bomb. It won't bomb.
Starting point is 01:51:12 Underperform is a possibility. It depends on how the movie is, right? Underperform is possible. Bomb, no. It's a Star Wars movie and people are going to do, similar to what Steph said before with the Valentine's Day thing where let's go see a movie. There's a new Star Wars movie out in the theory.
Starting point is 01:51:25 You want to go see that? And that's what they're going to do. It's going to do the move. And because I also think it's going to be a lower budget. I don't, I don't think it's going to have the, the big 200, million dollar budget that these things do because it was kind of built for television at least i don't think
Starting point is 01:51:38 it should um but no i think it's going to do well but step what do you think yeah i think it's going to do well and you also kids love grogo and the baby young kids are going to be able to see this with no reference to mandolarian and probably still like it so i can imagine most parents will be taking kids and their friends to this movie it's going to do well mike anyway this bombs no i actually think this is going to do very well just because it feels like it's been so long since it's a Star Wars movie and this is going to be a fresh Star Wars movie like I think
Starting point is 01:52:12 they'll build up to it like Force Awakens Energy like it's just like hey Star Wars back on the big screen I really hope we love I really hope they make it feel more um more like the old school original you know the only problem I can see having
Starting point is 01:52:25 and again it won't I think this will affect early reactions and reviews is if it just feels like a glorified episode of TV right like what it's possible So the people will go, well, I'll just wait for it to come on streaming. Well, I mean, but look at Moana too. Moana too felt like a Disney Plus movie. That they made a billion dollars.
Starting point is 01:52:42 That's animated though. It seems like a different ballpark. That's true. Ryan S. Will Smith posted that Hitch came out 20 years ago this week. Crazy. That is crazy. Apparently they're working on the second one.
Starting point is 01:52:52 What's your favorite romantic comedy? Pretty woman. Remember you guys? Either when Harry met Sally or I love crazy rich Asians. I was going to say the other one I liked was that one with Ryan Gosling. It was a crazy stupid love. That was it called. Oh, that was so good with Emma.
Starting point is 01:53:11 Yeah. That was a really good one. Would Redding Crashers be a romantic comedy or just a comedy? I think it's a comedy. I don't know. I think it's a romantic comedy with Rachel McAdams and Nolan Wilson. It's tough. No, Steph, it doesn't count.
Starting point is 01:53:27 I don't think so. I don't know. You can definitely make it count, but it's like one of the best comedies of all. time. I don't know. I think it is a romantic comedy. I think that's the whole point of, I think, I think the point of the story is that he's been wrapped up in this kind of bachelor life for so long, but what takes him out of doing the wedding crash is, is true love. Yeah. Romantic comedy. Love is good. It's a romantic comedy.
Starting point is 01:53:52 She's a lawyer. Me? Thanks. Yeah. What's what the yesterday? Roxy tells me I should have been an agent. Today you told me I should be a lawyer. DJ. Do you in the same. I know, kind of. DJ Case, the accountant two trailer dropped today. It looks pretty good. I'll tell you, the trailer did look good. Did you guys see the trailer for this? I haven't watched it yet because I love the first one. And I got pretty close to a role in this second one.
Starting point is 01:54:16 Oh, really? Editions and callbacks. So I'm very, it was bummed to get it because it was a great role. I'm hoping it's in it. I would love to see what it does, but I'm very excited for this movie. Yeah. I can't believe the last one was almost 10 years ago. That's pretty nuts.
Starting point is 01:54:30 Is that true? 2016. Wow. Wow. I remember seeing it. I saw a sneak preview. I like that movie. Before it was even out.
Starting point is 01:54:38 And people, this is, Affleck had been shooting Batman for Superman, but people were still not sold. I go, go see this movie coming out called The Accountant, if you have any doubts about Affleck and Batman. So that's the one,
Starting point is 01:54:50 that's the one that I'm going to, I'll definitely watch that one with Sam before the second one comes out. Yeah, for sure. Or maybe even watch her with my wife, because I don't think she's ever seen the first one. My wife. My wives.
Starting point is 01:55:01 C-Black. read the Vulture magazine article or read the Vulture magazine article about CAP 4 why does that have do they have like a lot of details and stuff in there
Starting point is 01:55:10 juicy behind the scenes content I know what's going on what's going on Armada reaction to Lighthouse coming with Tina quite possibly I just found Tina
Starting point is 01:55:22 who is a horror thriller fan is actually never the No Soratu is the first Robert Eggers movie she's ever seen so we'll probably watch the witch we'll probably watch Lighthouse
Starting point is 01:55:31 which I've never seen and we'll probably watch the Northman. If the witch does well, I mean, not the witch, uh, knows for onto because I, what I don't want to do is keep putting Tina, Tina through 14, she's been on a bunch of reactions we have really good ones on and like the Transformers one we did, did the best for her. But I, I got to find her a series of people. Oh my gosh, how are the people? How are your, how are your fans and the Transformers fans getting along in the comments? You transform, not the Transformers you've been doing.
Starting point is 01:55:58 The Transformers won the, the, so they were, they were, They were fine. Stay away from the. King of the Wicker people. Thoughts on WB's future. Several live service games close to 200 million bombed. The last several movies have also bombed. If the Superman movie doesn't hit, will W.B.
Starting point is 01:56:17 Survive, yes. Sell, maybe. It's been rumors ready that they were going to sell. So they're probably going to wind up selling. No? I don't know, man. I don't know. All right.
Starting point is 01:56:29 DJ Case. Mike's wireless headset fun so he could walk around. That would be amazing. Nice. I got to get Mike better lighting. He's like filming from the Batcave. Modern. Oh, modern.
Starting point is 01:56:42 Laden Kulik. Has Tina seen the three Narni. Not today. I can't. No, the three Narnia movies. I'll put this on there and I'll see. Narnia movies. I know. I just heard it.
Starting point is 01:56:54 Narni movie? I'm surprised you can hear me. Nornia movies. So there we go. Narnia movies. That's it. 130 questions so far.
Starting point is 01:57:05 Would have been a lot more. Mike's terrible. Rod V-66. Cattleman's Stinkhouse is great. Christian, you're thinking of Chico's Tacos. No, I'm not. No, there's Torchie's tacos. It's Torchie's in Houston.
Starting point is 01:57:19 I don't know if it's in- Oh, yeah, I've had. I think I've had Torchis. Yeah, it was in Houston. That's when we went for the Schmodeon event, I went there with Brad Gilmore, and I couldn't believe how good it was, really good. um a baba yaga
Starting point is 01:57:30 mike i believe in you but i'm poor maybe one day hey that's good enough day nabber what are some movie characters names that just stick with you baba yaga for me trip fountain from virgin suicides and daniel plain view from there will be blood
Starting point is 01:57:46 it's a good one vincent vizzen vegas is a good one oh yeah yeah vincent vega i just saw somebody post that too vizs of vega no I don't know. No, you guys are on fire.
Starting point is 01:58:02 Yeah. Legulus? Leggeless, okay. King of the Wicker people. Movie suggestion. Lucky number 11, great cast. Josh Hartnett, Freeman, Kingsley, Lucy Lou, and Tucci. This movie has been in my top 10 since I've seen it.
Starting point is 01:58:17 Lucky number seven is a good one. That is a good one for sure. I haven't seen that. No, okay. Paige Shoudry. Christian's so glad trade coffee is back. People use that code. Get it.
Starting point is 01:58:27 Mike is so handsome. Stuff's a real beauty. Page. It's awesome. Thank you. Yeah, I don't understand. This is the one. I will say,
Starting point is 01:58:34 I understand when it comes to, there's certain things when we have sponsor-wise. It's like, ah, that's that for me. If you have, and Steph, you know this is better than it.
Starting point is 01:58:42 And they're not even a sponsor today. Trade coffee. I want them to come back. So I'm hoping everybody gets at least one bag. Yeah, they're legitimately good. They are the best. The house just smells so good. Everybody get a bag of trade coffee for me.
Starting point is 01:58:53 Just do me that favor, because I want them to come back. Derek Johnson, I just saw the accountant two trailer. This movie looks like it's going to be special. All I'll tell you is this, and Mike, you probably know because you read some of the script. It's more of a team up in this one with it's a, it's both Ben Affleck and John Bernthal together, which I think is an added bonus here. Was he was he was?
Starting point is 01:59:13 Was Bernthal in the first one? Yeah. He was, right? You don't know he's his brother. Right. They don't know. Okay. I got to see it until the end.
Starting point is 01:59:21 Yeah. And Gavin O'Connor was even saying he's got ideas for a third one. one out. Did Kevin O'Connor direct that first one? Yeah. Wow. Okay. I've got to rewatch him. Kevin O'Connor. So the screen I went to, he was there. It was one of those secret screenings that they didn't tell you and he came on talk afterwards. Really good guy. Really nice. Kevin O'Connor is a very, very underrated. He did warrior, right? He did warrior. He did miracle. He's a very, very underrated director. He's one of those guys that comes in. I think he's just a level of recognition below like Mengold. Yeah. Where their filmography.
Starting point is 01:59:55 he do these incredible like mangled i didn't realize he did the the upland no the um the the shellame Ferrari oh yeah the the complete unknown yeah so it's like they they just i think he yeah i've always liked his work uh all right next one here and this is from al rencha just saw the accountant two trailer looks good really does to check it out moromoth haunts just watch spirited away i loved it my favorite ghibli movie christian has a beautiful score that adds to the movie uh hashi doesn't miss you know i've never seen spirited away really i should probably put that on the list for myself right step those movies studi ghibli seems like your bag oh yes that was like my disney growing i watched disney too but the spirited away movies were everything to me they're um they are so different
Starting point is 02:00:45 than american animated movies like harry i'm having harry watched them and he really likes them but he is like, these are weird. I'm like, yeah. They're weird. I got to check it out. Kyle Wilson. I heart Huckabees for Sam. Anybody watch that?
Starting point is 02:01:02 I don't know if we would watch it. Derek Johnson. I 100% agree with Christian on Thor 4. He never grew or never evolved. He was supposed to finally take his spot as Allfather and he was just a clown. They really went so overboard with the humor on it. I'm telling you, we talked about this at Great Link. Tyca was like, I'm doing whatever I want to do now.
Starting point is 02:01:23 I don't care. I'm just doing whatever. I'm doing my movie. Like, he's just being Taika, and it just didn't fit. That was the, you know,
Starting point is 02:01:30 I don't, I miss the Shmowdown and I regret. It sucks that it's not around anymore. But that, I think it was like, right before that movie came out that we announced it was over. And I was like,
Starting point is 02:01:39 seeing that movie, I'm like, thank God I'll never have to watch this movie. Right, right. That's why. Because I was just like, I don't blame me.
Starting point is 02:01:44 I don't blame me. I don't blame me. Abel John, Christian, Sam has such a soft spot for Loki. what do you think her reaction will be when she sees the Loki series looking at his character arc throughout the M.C.? I think she'll be happy that he's coming back because I don't think she fully grasped what happened in when we saw the scene and end game. Like she, like I don't think she put two and two together that wait a minute, he could kind of be around in another universe.
Starting point is 02:02:09 So I'm excited to see how she says, oh, he's back. She loves Loki. She loves Loki. Maramoth Hans. I'm making beer cheese soup. What are you guys known for? Made a good onion dip. What is we known for? Onion dips good. Or just in general or for a certain event?
Starting point is 02:02:29 Yeah, like, no. What's your go-to dish? Oh, I don't have a go-to. Anything I make is fire and it's always new and unique. Damn, I like the confidence. I like the moxie. Yeah, I got burgers. Burgers all day long.
Starting point is 02:02:41 I'll grill. I'm a lot. I'm known for, like, chocolates and baking stuff. Rocky McFly. Hey, Mike, what's your favorite part about writing Bond, James Bond?
Starting point is 02:02:49 I can answer that for him. Having Brad Gilmore do all the work. You shut your mouth. You shut your mouth. That was two years of my life. I, what did I love writing about? My favorite,
Starting point is 02:03:02 like not just rewatching the movies, but just, for me, Bond is so attached to my childhood. My grandfather introduced me to the character. So it was, and he's passed since then. So to remember,
Starting point is 02:03:14 I can remember every film I saw with him in the theater and where I was and what theater. So it's such a stroll down memory lane for me, those films. Yeah. All right. So we got 1.35 right now, guys. It feels like our numbers are going down. No, we're a little over, we're a little over time right now.
Starting point is 02:03:31 So we're, so you guys are doing good because you still have questions. See, no, no other week. If it wasn't for this girl, we'd be killing these numbers. This girl named Rocky. There's one. There's a little bit. Dancing Dog 60 is the. G. I Joe Transformers film is still happening. I hope not. I think potentially it could be a blast.
Starting point is 02:03:49 I hope it's not. Although I'm old. Steph, can I finish this freaking question? Is that all right with you? I'm old. Steph. Do young ins care about it? I don't think so. Yeah. I think if you ask most Gen Z or Gen Alpha if they know what G.I. Joe is, I think most of them won't know. You need to give Michael Bay $100 million and let him go make a rah-rah America's G. Joe movie. Please know. You do. Please no. No. I couldn't disagree with you more. I would say if anything, you turn it into a series. I think someone suggests this the other day. And you go with the Marvel, you go with the Marvel G.I. Joe comics and you do the first 80 issues as five seasons. And that's all, that's all American military. You're damn right. I know, but you do, but you don't do it. Michael Bake couldn't get him out of there. Day Napper. How do you feel about people that put their TV in the wrong spot above the fire? fireplace. My wife was very, very clear that that was not happening. You got any TV room pet peeves. I hate wall-mounted TVs. I hate them with a passion. Damn. Where are they supposed to go? I understand. Fucking hanging on the wall looks like shit.
Starting point is 02:05:01 No, you know nothing about interior design. I know everything about feng shui step. Fung Shui, baby. Do I have any TV room? Ha? I guess if you have a small TV, I'm not, don't invite me over to watch something on the TV. That's fair. Holy shit. Yeah, it's true. TV snob's good to be.
Starting point is 02:05:22 Oh, it's good to be a TV snob. What I'm going on here. Yeah. See Black. The article said Harrison Ford was a diva and the director was over his head. Really? Everybody on set knew the movie was doomed. Can you send that article in the chat?
Starting point is 02:05:37 Or you a vulture or Luke or somebody. Can you find that? I want to read that. Go pal. Is it right that Vincent Vega was supposed to be Vic from Reservoir dogs? But there was an issue with getting Madsen back. So they made it his brother. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:05:51 That's interesting. I've never heard that before, but I like that they made it his brother. That's awesome. No, I didn't know that. But he's been, Michael Madsen showed up in something else.
Starting point is 02:06:00 There's been a couple Tarantino movies that, that Sam has not seen. So we're watching some of those. She'd never seen once upon a time in, in Hollywood. Okay. That one we're definitely going to do. Kyle Wilson,
Starting point is 02:06:11 keep firing A-holes. That's a great. space balls quote mine is we ain't found shit my favorite that's not them that's their stunk doubles yeah it's amazing
Starting point is 02:06:25 let's see if Mike can guess this movie because I don't think Steph's going to know it hey Raring is there her hosting Tom and Tom's penis Top secret no you're in this you're in the right decade uh spies like us
Starting point is 02:06:41 you're not these aren't horrible guess uh guess hey raring the the hirson home tom's penis oh oh god is it is it acroiter bill murray your your your your your mind's going in the right place it's it's john candy and splash oh and he's he's in the water with the fishing pole it's right no it's it's before it's before that it's them getting into the room and they and he's got to they got to talk to the Swedish guy and he's like and he steps up they're pretending to the Swedish doctors and out of nowhere he goes eh the first term tom's penis and then the guy is and it's basically say hey hey babe i have a 12
Starting point is 02:07:22 inch penis he said he got it from penhouse or something that's hilarious um all right so b gill studios fagie never spoke at the captain for red carpet there you go mike that's that's telling it's watching watch that man he loves to talk about his movies and if he's not there talking something stinks in fucking Denmark. Denver. No, come on. You got to steal Denver. Daynapper. What Batman actor would make the best James Bond was
Starting point is 02:07:48 Batman actor? Hmm. Well, bail. Yeah. I mean. Out of all the Batman actors, it would be pretty good too, I think. Yeah, but Christian Bail is just like.
Starting point is 02:08:01 Yeah, bail. Al Rensha. I could see Mike is the Allstate mayhem guy, 100%. 100% for sure absolutely although
Starting point is 02:08:11 although the dude from Oz that's doing it is like my Sadie loves those commercials I know good I need to be a character
Starting point is 02:08:19 in like a car commercial that's like a road rage guy that like always cause accidents and like make sure you got insurance so you don't have to deal with this guy
Starting point is 02:08:27 and there I am going yeah you'd be you'd be you'd be great in us you'd be great yeah um okay Dancing Dog 60
Starting point is 02:08:34 I miss second run theater so sad to see them gone What is that the dollar stroke? No, yeah, like they don't have those anymore, do they? They just have a lot of them in Florida. Oh, we had a great one out here in L.A. It was like $1. Yeah, I saw Shawshank Redemption for $1 in $90.
Starting point is 02:08:47 They filmed Don Juan at this theater near my house. It's the Dahl Run Theater. Hey, Roderine. Joey Pedrus. When do you think the big Superman push is going to start next month? W.B. can't wait until the next few weeks before people get hyped or Fantastic World Run away. May?
Starting point is 02:09:06 Yeah. It comes out in July. line. I think that's one the big... Something in Super Bowl. They didn't really drop anything. Okay. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:09:13 I can think may. Let's say, DJ case. Give to 10 memberships. Thank you, DJ. Holy moly. You should get 10 questions for 10 memberships. You already did. Derek Johnson.
Starting point is 02:09:25 What is wrong with you, Mike? Wall mounted TVs are the best. You want to be a, you want to, if you want to be, you want to buy a $300 stand, when I can just hang it on the wall, caveman, style decorating man. I think you're in the minority here, Mike, because you got to... Wouldn't putting it on the wall be a caveman? Because you're drawn and shut on your wall? No, you're more. Uh, Dancing Dog 60 TV. Just get a video projector. We don't need no TV. My brother's been doing that for years and it's like you do it with the right surrounding.
Starting point is 02:09:53 I have a video projector. The differences, well, at least I find I have a really nice one too. If you watch a lot of TV and movies, it's not conducive. You run the light. They're not meant to last the way that you watch a TV for. Yeah, but it's really nice to have for movie nights. Movies and stuff, totally. Moramouth Hans. I'll tell you, that projector, by the way, it saved our lives as far as entertainment goes when I got here
Starting point is 02:10:19 because all of our stuff was on a truck, so we didn't have any of our TV here. So I had that projector and I was able to keep the kids busy with it. Maramouth Hans. Read the EU comics. They're great. I haven't read, I mean, some of the old ones, I guess. But there's some good, there's some good ones for sure. DUI Champ.
Starting point is 02:10:35 Christian, next week for my birthday, I'm going to the Comedy Cellar in the Village. Never been there. Do you have any advice on when's best to go? Sunday night, Monday night, 7 p.m. show. I could have told you years ago. I'm not as tuned into the comedy scene as I used to be. But the comedy sellers got some great shows.
Starting point is 02:10:51 I would look more so of the lineups that they have and see what kind of lineups and to see if there's any comics there that you dig. And you never know who's going to pop in on any of those shows. So, yeah, it just depends on when you're looking to go and who's on it. Thank you, by the way, D. him. Rocky McFly. Who was your favorite Bond director, San Mendez? He is the best director overall, but in terms of
Starting point is 02:11:13 just Bond films, I would say Lewis Gilbert. I'm going to let Mike answer that one because Martin Campbell. Oh. He did a Golden Eye and Casino Royale. Reviolized the franchise twice. Okay. Yeah. Martin Campbell. Ewalk. What's your favorite Bond song? These are all my questions right now.
Starting point is 02:11:31 The Spy who Love Me? He's got a great bond song for your eyes. nation easton. Okay. That's a good one. I like, I like the Adele one. We have all the time in the world. Louie Armstrong. Oh, that's a good one, too. Yeah. Yeah. I can actually do a good
Starting point is 02:11:48 Lewis. Jack Lewis. Christian, will you be checking out the final episodes of Cobra Guy? The show has come a long way from being a YouTube read original. Netflix will be hard-pressed to replace their two flagship shows ending this year. So I'm still, there's
Starting point is 02:12:05 three sections of the Cobra Kai finale season, right? So the first six I finished, I'm about three episodes into the second one. So I'm going to finish that. And then I'll probably watch the other ones too because I even had Luke the day. So you're going to react to the new ones. I'm like, probably not. I just don't have enough time to do it.
Starting point is 02:12:24 But I forget, did you say you watch them? Steph or you're not? No, I haven't. Okay. Favorite Bond villain, Mike? I love Silva. Oh, yeah. Harbor, Ever Dam.
Starting point is 02:12:36 I love him. It's good too. EWalk, favorite bond villains, henchmen. That's a good one. Odd job. Another one. Nicknack's good. My job.
Starting point is 02:12:47 Dancing Dog 60. Roger Moore was the best bond, smooth and funny. Yeah. You use the bond I grew up with. You love Roger Moore, but you like Timothy Dalton the best. Oh, you know what? Doll is my favorite. I was going to call you and tell you, I got pitched Timothy, Timothy Dalton to do the show.
Starting point is 02:13:03 And I was going to have you interview him with me if he came on. but it just, it didn't, it didn't happen. But if he was going to come on, I was going to, I was going to ask you to do it. Is it something that could happen in the future? I mean, always could happen in the future, but there's some projects. When you mean pitch, what does that mean? Well, so the talent agency will say, hey, these particular people are available,
Starting point is 02:13:20 which I said, Timothy Dalton for sure. And then they reach out, and if we get a bite on it, they come back. Oh, so they reach out to his people. Yeah, they give me a list of people that I'd be interested in. And I say, yes. That would have been incredible. Yeah. If I get him, I'll have you on to do it for sure. All right, guys.
