What's up, everyone?
Welcome to the Christian Harlov show.
I am John Roker sitting in for the great
Krishna Harloff, creator of the Shmada,
created the Christopher Harlov channel,
my friend of 20 plus years,
all bust in SOB,
but I'm here to sit in solo
on the channel this morning to host the show
and have a lot of fun discussing a bunch of topics
that are swirling around
the world of entertainment,
including Colin Farrell,
circling himself the possibility of playing sergeant rock for Luca Guadanino over there at DC
studios we've got some updates on Jonathan majors he did that THR interview he's been doing a little bit
of a press tour for magazine dreams and talking about how all he's gone through the stuff
he's gone through and change and then this new audio drop that's pretty chilling so we'll be
talking about that Darren Aronovsky possibly for that kujo
remake, what's going on with Saw 11, a couple of trailers, some interviews, and maybe a couple of
shots of the Mortal Kombat stuff. We'll see in anything else that pops up over the next couple of
hours, which those of you who are eagle eye readers and listeners of those entertainment websites,
please make sure you hit me to what's going on in the chat and let me know if there's news
that breaks and we'll talk about it on the show as it goes along. All right, sit back, relax,
Let's have some fun.
Let's get this going.
It's the Christian Harlov show.
And here we go.
What's up, everybody, as I just said.
Thanks so much for tuning into the Christian Harlov show.
Really appreciate you all hanging out with me solo here on the channel.
We're going to have some fun talking about everything going on in the world of entertainment.
Let me adjust my camera a little bit.
I've had like six Jordan almonds this morning, so I've got a little bit of energy rolling through my body.
I know that's not the healthiest breakfast for someone to have.
but sometimes when you're doing a bunch of things,
you got to shove down what you can for a little bit
until you get to the real stuff.
So that's what I'm operating on today.
Hope you all are doing well.
Hope you all woke up on this Tuesday.
And you've got some pep in your step
and you're ready to take on the day
and you're hanging out with me
to bring you a little bit of entertainment,
a little bit of joy, a little bit of smiles
before you get into what's going on in your world today.
Look, I know it's crazy out there.
No matter what's your point of view and your feelings are,
I know what's crazy out there.
It's a madhouse.
there so this is our little sanctuary away from the madness of the world and i appreciate you all hanging
out with me remember the super chats are open sending you love i did 61 last week solo would love to at
least match the 61 or maybe get more depending on what uh how you guys feel and how you feel the
show is going and what's dropping and uh the conversations were having about the big stuff going on
in the world of entertainment i got christian uh sending me stuff uh here to
make sure I'm doing the right things in terms of the ads and everything like that.
So we'll see. We'll see. We've got two ad breaks we're dealing with.
So they'll let you know about that ahead of time. That's how we're going to do things today on the show.
But without further ado, let's get into the big thing, you know, and I'm running this all solo.
So I will be sharing my screen myself. I'll be doing all this myself.
So if he pays you with me as I do it, I would appreciate that. Let's get into the first story.
Let's not waste any time. Let's get into this. We only have limited amount of time.
So let's get into this thing. And that is the Colin.
Farrell's story going on around Hollywood here and around the world of nerddom of what is happening here.
Let me see if I've got this.
I always forget what's the right one to do.
Is it this one?
No, it's not this one.
No, no.
I guess it'll have to be that one.
I guess I'll have to be in the corner here.
So let's go through this here.
All right, Colin Farrell, after winning practically every single award out there for his turn in the penguin,
Colin Farrell is looking to get back in the business with D.C.
And that's the star in the title role of Luca Guadino's Sergeant Rock.
Note this is a different part of the DCverse with a penguin attached to Matt Reeves,
the Batman sphere, whereas Sergeant Rock is part of DC bosses, James Gunn and Peter Safferens,
oversee, I guess that's the sentence, the two worlds shall never overlap.
Well, we don't know yet, right?
They keep saying that stuff, but we don't know that.
And we're getting this from Anthony de Alessandro and Justin Crowell.
scheduling for the film, which Farrell wants to do, we hear has to be balanced with this busy fall that includes the second season of Apple TV Plus as sugar, which a lot of people seem to like, especially that finale, an Edward Berger's movie, the ballot of a small player.
And, of course, Edward Berger having recently done Conclave, which was nominated for Best Picture.
Forrell, Colin Farrell takes over for Daniel Craig, who was originally kicking the tires to retain, to re-team with Guadernino after they made queer.
Farrow will play Sergeant Franklin John Rock.
I guess that's my name in English.
In the World War II set movie created by Robert Canninger and Joe Kubert,
the character first debuted in the 1959 DC issue or Army at War as a World War II soldier
who served in the infantry.
The character gained steam in 1977.
When he received his own comic series, it ran until July of 1988.
It's 11 years.
Rock's talent includes shooting down German fighter planes with a single submachine gun
and tossing grenades with great accuracy.
something I did really well in the Army, tossing grenades.
When he's without a gun, he's a great street fighter and can survive gunshots.
He's a calm guy with heart, but also has, quote, combat antenna, unquote, able to detect an incoming enemy sieves.
There was also a toy series in the 1980s for Sergeant Rock.
I had those toys around the time Giajo was soaring in comp books and on TV.
The project marks a reteam of Guadonino with his challengers and queer scribe Justin Kritskis.
It's a damn good writer, among all the plates that Guadonino has spinning,
and rock pretty much has the pole position over lions gates american psycho
guadino also has amazon mjams studios julio roberts and andrew garfield thriller
after the hunt later this year on october 10th so that's exciting for christian harloff who loves
julia roberts next up for dc studios has gone superman on july 11th which is man that is what
march april may june june we're less than four months away from superman so and then of course
all the representation and all of that kind of stuff so there is the story
Colin Farrell for Sergeant Rock.
I certainly tweeted about it.
And I thought to myself, this is an interesting situation because, yes, I know what people are,
you know, people got really upset about the tweet.
Come on, guys.
They have a little bit of relaxed reaction to these things that they were like, what?
Nobody could tell it was Colin Farrell under the makeup.
Totally fair.
I understand that.
However, everyone knows he played him.
Everyone knows he played him.
He won multiple awards.
This isn't a guy who says.
slid under the radar and you had no idea who was playing the penguin some character actor it was
Colin Farrell who has been growing in status and fame uh and people's estimation as an actor over the
last few years a lot so you know you want to challenge yourself as a performer you want to challenge
yourself as an actor lining up with luca guadanino i think is a great career choice for colin farrell
considering banshean of the penguin all these things you know that you're going to
he's been doing recently that are really great examples and samples of his talent. So I like the
idea in a vacuum. I think this is a great idea. I think this is awesome to see these two teaming up.
I think they're going to bring out the best in each other. It's ironic that we can't seem to find
an American actor to play Sergeant John Rock, who is an American soldier. But hey, you know,
let's see what, let's see if this is really going to happen. And if it is, I'm looking forward to
seeing what they create. That being said, it does give you.
you a little bit of confusion because you've got two universes that are now running concurrently.
I could see if Colin Farrell was like a smaller character or the secondhand person or the second
second in command of something or whatever, but he had a whole series focused on him.
He's going to be in the Batman part two, if that happens.
And you've got him, now you're going to have him be a part of the DC universe over here in
canon connected to the creature commandos, which will be connected to the overall DC
narrative. Now, I get it. What you guys are saying, like, oh, you know, people didn't know it was him and all
that, but they will know Colin Farrell is in both of the DC universes. So this to me is an interesting
situation when you pull it out. I mean, just throw away all, whether you agree with me or not,
throw it all away. It's still interesting to consider why they would do this. There are no other
actors who could play Sergeant Rock. You're going to pick from the Matt Reeves universe and you're going to
bring Colin Farrell over into your universe James Gunn and give him the role. So to me, this leads to a lot of
questions in my head. Does this mean the Penguin season two is not going to happen? And Colin
Farrell said after the Penguin season one dropped and during the press tours for it, he said,
you know, I never want to wear that costume again. That's how he felt after I was done shooting it.
It really messed with me emotionally. A mess with my mental health to embody that character.
And certainly you can understand great actors certainly give a lot of themselves to a role.
And so he said he didn't want to put it in.
But then he also mentioned that Lauren LeFranck said to him, well, give it a year.
And then would you be open and talking about playing him again in a season two?
And he said, I probably would listen.
So it's not a hard no.
It's a no for right now and just give me some time to detox from the experience.
And then maybe I'll swing around and be excited to play it again.
And I understand that, right?
So, but he is, if the Batman part two is supposed to happen, he is part of it.
But listen, you look at this, you read the T leaves a little bit, why is James Gunn borrowing an actor from the James, the Matt Reeves universe to put in his DC verse, his main DC verse, main timeline DC verse, if there isn't something else going on behind the scenes.
I'm not talking about a feud.
I'm just wondering, because there's been a lot of noise.
a lot of conversation around what's going on behind the scenes here with Matt Reeves and
James Gunn, David Zazlov, Warner Brothers. Is this in a way gun saying to Colin, listen, we're
going to shut down the Reeves verse, but we love you as an actor. Thank you for doing the Penguin.
What do you think about this? Would you be interested in this? We want to keep you in the DC family.
We like you. Here is a role where you are the lead of an iconic American
hero in Sergeant Rock.
We have plans for Sergeant Rock.
It's probably not going to be a one-off.
It's an interesting character.
And we think this character can appeal to both red state and blue state people and purple
state people and kind of find that middle ground so that people enjoy them.
So it's interesting.
Now, I'm not saying that happened, but I don't think you can rule that out.
And I don't think it's irresponsible to look at it from all the angles.
Yes, of course, it could be very innocent.
look, we know what he can do.
We loved him in Penguin.
Let's bring him over here and he can play Sergeant Rock.
He can put a tent pole in the ground.
This is a guy with a lot of name recognition now.
This is a character that maybe doesn't have the name recognition
that other DC characters have.
Now we do a little bit of the work by casting Colin Farrell,
who's younger than Daniel.
I think he's younger than Daniel Craig.
Is that right?
Let me look that up real quick.
I don't want to speak out of turn in case these two gentlemen are close in age.
Colin is 48.
Wow, it's a lot to ask to do a lot of stunts at 48.
And Craig is 57.
So he is younger by about nine years, which does have an effect on your body.
So this is an interesting situation we find ourselves in.
So as I said, it could be very simple down the road.
Like Colin, we loved what he did in Penguin.
Hey, do you want to come over and do Sergeant Rock?
We don't care how confusing it is for people.
We're going to bring you in.
Right. But to me, this does, I mean, this does seem a little weird.
Like, would you make Robert Pattinson a character in the James Gunn universe?
And you could argue, Penguin is just as notable of a character in the Batman Reeves universe right now as Batman is.
You know, these are the people you think about when you say the Reeves verse immediately is Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Zoe Cravitz.
Those are the three you think about when you think about the Reeves verse.
And lesser Andy Circus, lesser Jeffrey Wright, as James Gordon.
but you think of those three names because of the Batman
and then because of the penguin spinning off from the Batman
and what he was able to do.
And Kristen Miliotti, of course, you'll think about her
when you think about the Reeves first.
So those are,
but if you bring Robert Pattinson in to play a really big character
in the DC universe,
wouldn't that be confusing when he's already Batman
in the Matt Reeves universe?
If you brought in Christina Miliotti to play like Zatana or something,
wouldn't that throw you off considering she's already part of the of the Reeves verse or Zoe Cravitz coming in to play some other character in the DC verse that's a really main let's say you bring her in to do Black Canary.
Let's say you erase a swapper and bring her in to play Black Canary.
Doesn't that throw you off a little bit?
So these are the things that I look at with Colin Farrell in the situation.
And I know some of you may not agree.
I totally respect that.
you don't have to agree with me.
It's just the way I look at it and I wonder why this is happening this way,
what this means,
why is Colin Farrell even considering it if he has a bit of loyalty to Matt Reeves
and what they've created there?
And is this an indication that this Matt Reeves verse might be moving towards being shut down?
And let's pull the perspective out even farther, right?
Let's pull it out even farther.
What did we hear about recently in this report from Puck News?
And from Kim Masters, who wrote this extensive article.
And by the way, if you don't subscribe to Puck News,
if you got $150 to spare for an annual subscription,
I highly recommend you do that because they do some great reporting,
not just on entertainment, but other stuff as well.
It's well worth it with some phenomenal journalists that are part of it.
But if you pull it out even further,
Kim Masters was saying that Abdi and Luc de Luca were in trouble
and that there's rumors that Peter Saffron may be elevated out of the situation he's in
with the James Gunn co-running DC and may take the Abdi into Luca position by himself
overseeing all of Warner Brothers, right?
We won't have time to spend with just DC specifically.
James Gunn would be then in charge of the entire DC universe,
and James Gunn, I imagine, would want to have everything streamlined, canon, and all connected.
So these are some interesting moves that we see going on
behind the scenes at DC and WB.
It's nothing's in a vacuum, guys.
Please don't think everything is in a vacuum.
It isn't.
Everything is connected.
Everything has moving pieces to it because everything affects everything.
Colin Farrell is not going to play to me.
And I saw people go, well, we're not going to see the pingman until 2028.
It's irrelevant.
If Sargent Rock comes out, it's a huge hit.
He is now connected to Sarger Rock.
And then you're going to have him play penguin.
It just messes with people's minds.
And I just don't think it's the smartest way to go.
Or if they are going this direction,
it feels like to me this is them walking away from the Matt Reeves verse eventually.
So will we see, again, this Batman part two?
I know everyone has said we're shooting it.
Everyone has said like Jeff said on the hot mic last week that Matt Reeves
has most likely submitted a script to Abdi and DeLuca.
So they have the full script, Abdi and Luca.
Maybe James Gunn doesn't.
Is this a power play?
Is this a power move?
Is James, and just to be cynical, is James Gunn grabbing Colin Farrell out of the Matt
Reeves verse to put him in here to mess with Matt?
I don't know.
I'm not saying there's a feud.
I don't know.
I have no information that there's a feud.
I'm just saying you have to look at this from all the different angles and see how this
shakes out as the weeks and months go along.
because we're waiting on Superman July 11th.
There's a lot of rumors behind the scenes
that both Zazlov and Matt Reeves are waiting
until Superman comes out to see what the next move is here
and where they want to go with it.
It could be very possible that Matt Reeves
gets moved into a position if Peter Safran gets elevated
where it's Matt Reeves and James Gunn running the DC universe,
which I think is kind of dangerous
because they both have completely different sensibilities.
on what they want to do.
But it could work if they could find a middle ground
to agree on with the approach,
with James' more comedic approach,
still with stakes.
I'm not trying to discount that there aren't stakes.
And Matt Reeves' approach,
which is much more serious,
with occasional bats of humor,
a bouts of humor, rather,
as we saw in that scene in the Batman
when they're doing the interrogation of the penguin
and the rottalada, that stuff.
So there can be humor in the Matt Reeves universe,
and there can be serious stakes in the James Gun,
So can they find a way to cook?
So there's all these things to go through my mind because I just look at all of this.
And I know human beings, for better or worse, I know human beings and can predict their
behaviors.
And I look at all of this and I just, there's smoke here, you know, and I feel like there's
fire coming, but I can smell the smoke.
And so that's the way I look at all of this stuff.
So we'll see.
We'll see how this all goes out.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
And guess what?
We live in a conspiracy point of view.
society and conspiracies sometimes are correct and sometimes they aren't you just never know right the
kathleen kennedy stuff we just saw it recently she tried to take retake control of the narrative
but the story got out there through puck news about what's going on and look i don't have an issue
having you know being being having looking at all the particular possibilities um is not a negative
to look at all the things that could be happening you all sitting back and just eating whatever they tell you
that's not also a good way to exist in life either.
Oh, they told me this.
I should just believe it.
That's no way to exist in life.
You've got to question everything.
You've got to have,
you've got to be prepared for all the possibilities and ways that this stuff can go.
So,
but let's pull it all back to this.
And that is,
I love the idea of Colin Farrell of Sergeant Rock.
I think he's an awesome actor.
And I think if you remove all the other stuff around it,
I'm very excited if he's the one that they're going to go with here to play the
role. As the article points out, there's some moving pieces in terms of scheduling with all of
this. So we'll see how it all plays out. But I mean, I think there's a reason you want to cast someone
of this name and this renown to play Sergeant Rock because you want someone that people are going to be like,
well, I want to see this movie. I don't know anything about this character, but I want to see
this movie because this is the lead of the film, Colin Farrell. So to me, overall, love the idea
of it. But when you look at all the connective tissues of it, I think there's more going on
behind the scene. I think it betrays
that there's more going on behind the scenes
than people think in this situation.
I know you guys want to live in this universe
where everybody's happy and holds hands and
skips through the fields and strokes their
hairs and hugs trees and all of that.
But this is Hollywood and Hollywood is brutal and
Hollywood is ruthless and there's a lot of egos
involved in Hollywood and there's a lot of people
behind the scenes involved with this stuff who want
to be successful.
Look at your job. I'm sure the jobs
that you guys work. There are people above you
who want to keep their positions,
and they seem really nice,
but you just never know what's going on behind the scenes
and what they're willing to do to keep those positions
and keep that status.
So just throwing it out there for you all to consider.
But yes, I'm not in any way attacking anyone's character.
I want to make that.
I see some people defending James Gunn as if I'm attacking his character.
I'm not.
I'm just saying these moves are curious.
I think Jeff tweeted that out as well.
Like, would you be cool with Robert Patton?
and playing like Superman and Batman in two different universes.
Because technically you could argue the same logic applies.
It's two different universes, right?
And people are like, well, prosthetics, prosthetics, prosthetics, prosthetics.
That's, to me, that's an utter nonsense argument.
That is not, this isn't Demi Moore at the end of the substance, for God's sakes.
We all know Colin Farrell played the penguin.
We all know it.
So it's not like some kind of like, oh, they've been hiding him or he's hidden on the prosthetics.
come on we all knows colin feral he was out there winning awards he was out there on the talk shows
where your mom and dad and your grandpa are watching late at night they all know he played uh the bat
col the penguin and he's going to be in the bad man part two if that happens so we'll see
anyway all right so there we go let's um that's that's that story we've we've gone on about it for
almost for over 20 minutes now or a little bit under 20 minutes now so but let's get into
this situation here i got to get some ads done
first. Once I hit these ads, we'll go more into some of the other stories here. Let's see.
There are two in each block tour. It'll be there. So let's hit these two ads. And on the other side,
we'll get into some more stuff going on in the world of entertainment. And Christian Harlov's going
to take us into this. And in the meantime, send in your super chat, sending in your love here.
And I'll answer all you questions, thoughts, and comments on the tail end of the show. Thanks again
for joining me here in the first 20 minutes. We'll be jumping into some
Aronovsky news, Jonathan Major's news, trailer news, and some other stuff going on here as well.
So stay tuned.
We'll be right back right after this.
I've had BS headphones for when I was playing games on my Xbox forever.

Give them some love there here on the Outlaw Nation.
I'm sorry, on the Chris Narloff channel there.
Got confused for a second.
Sorry, guys.
All right.
So here we go.
Yeah, we're really excited.
I see some of you talking about Dairdum.
Tonight, Daredebel.
It's going to be a lot of fun tonight, that new episode.
I have seen all the episodes.
So to me, this is an interesting episodes coming up tonight.
The next week's episode, I think a lot of you,
might be a little, it's going to be a strange.
I think next week's episode is one of the most divisive episodes, depending on how
people take it.
But then after next week's episode, I think the show really picks up steam as it heads
towards that finale.
And those last two episodes are, are effing bangers.
That's what I'll say about that situation.
All right.
Now, let's move into this story.
Now, this is going to be, I do a fair warning for you guys.
I wanted to talk about this story because I think it's an important.
important story right now.
So just let you guys know, we're going to talk, we're talking about a little bit of,
we're going to talk about the John the Major story.
So you guys know what's involved in John the Major story.
So I just want to warn you ahead of time before we talk about it.
But let's get into the initial thing here.
John the Majors has been doing quite a few.
Oh, let's see if I've got the thing.
There, no, which one is it?
Oh, God, this is so.
There we go.
All right.
So Jonathan Majors has been doing a few of these, of these, what do you say?
of these interviews recently because he has,
what's going on here?
What happened?
All right, because he has magazine dreams coming out.
And it's a very big deal of this film
because a lot of people said that this was like the next step
in him becoming this massive star.
A lot of people felt this was a possible Oscar nominated role for him
as an actor.
It premiered at the January 2023 edition of Sundance Film Festival.
And so he's been all.
in the news recently doing all this press tour for magazine dreams and of course they're bringing up when he was arrested in march of 23 after an alleged domestic violence altercation with then girlfriend grace jabari nine months later a manhattan jury found major is guilty of one misdemeanor in april of 2024 and one harassment violation in april twenty twenty four he was sentenced to a year-long counseling program and an order of protection was issued for jabari meanwhile magazine dreams was shelved he was fired by marvel um a role's disdemean
he was left in Hollywood limbo, and of course his agent or his management team walked away from him.
But now Magazine Dreams is coming into the theaters.
I think the next couple of weeks.
He plays Killian Maddox, a socially awkward amateur bodybuilder whose pursuit to be remembered takes him to a bleak and violent psychological place.
I saw the trailer.
I don't know if you guys seen the trailer.
It's pretty unsettling stuff that's going on.
And so he's been doing these interviews talking about his life, talking about where he's at.
the USA today one is a much more relaxed interview.
The THR one was pretty much curated to see,
to focus on the fact that he was sexually abused by men and women growing up in his home
and how he had had to reckon with that,
come to terms with that.
It led to a lot of anger with him.
So basically kind of explaining the stuff away.
Like explaining possible reasons for why he did what he did,
why he's at issues.
But within that THR article,
there were also a couple of ex-girlfriends that were interviewed.
one of them spoke about how
how can I prove that he's changed
where's this barometer
to prove that he's changed
and the other one I think who he was
a fiancé or they were fiancés
said did not want to comment
overall on what was going on
on the town of the majors well
now we have this new report
oh god I swear you I said it now we have this new report
here from Rolling Stone
that explores
what happened what might have
some new audio that has popped up here
with Jonathan Majors right as he's doing
this whole thing too. It's really interesting timing
and he admitted to strangling an ex-girlfriend
in a previously unreleased audio recording obtained by Rolling Stone.
The conversation was captured in the aftermath of a days-long fight between majors
and his then-girlfriend professional dancer Grace Jabari in September of 2022.
So this predates the 2023 situation that we saw on video.
The Marvel actor had been living with Jabari in London
as he filmed the second season of the Disney Plus series,
Loki, when he allegedly became angry at Jabari,
according to a since-settled civil lawsuit filed by Jabari last April,
she alleged Major slammed her into a car,
dragged her back inside their home, and strangled her.
That is massive.
Okay, that's part of the civil lawsuit.
The unearthed audio tape captures Jabari
confronting Majors about the alleged attack in the following days.
I'm ashamed I've ever a major
majors begins before cutting himself off.
I've never been aggressive with a woman before.
I've never aggressed a woman.
I aggressed you. That's such an interesting way to present it.
And from some other ex-girlfriends who've come out in these comments,
the fact that he thinks he's never aggressed a woman before could be called into question
because of some of the description these women talk about when they were dating him years ago
that he was controlling.
He determined who they could speak to, who could be their friends.
friends. One of these women talked about how she felt like he was in control of everything of her life.
And so you see that. So just because you haven't put your hands on someone doesn't mean you haven't
aggressed someone in a certain way to use his terms. She said, you strangled me and pushed me against
the car. Majors then admits it. Says yes, all those things are underaggressed. Yeah, he's almost
kind of like using the term to blanket cover everything he did. That's never happened to me.
and she said because I said something sarcastically in your eyes and he said well clearly that's more
than that she says something inside of you he says yeah towards you and that's what made and agrees to
it before the recording ends both an attorney and agent for majors is not immediately respond to
for press for comment now that may have changed since this article came out but i haven't seen anything
to that effect an attorney for jabr declined in comment some details of the dispute previously emerged
during Majors' criminal trial in late of
2023, where he was found guilty
of reckless assault in the third degree in harassment
following a different fight that took place in New York.
He was arrested in March of 2020
for allegedly attacking Jabari, who sustained
a fractured finger and a cut
to the back of her ear. Throughout the trial,
majors claimed that Jabari was the aggressor in that
incident, and he was acquitted of the two more serious
charges, intentional assault, and aggravated
harassment. But because a judge barred
any previous instances of
alleged physical abuse from the trial, only
the aftermath of the September
a 2022 fight.
Majors pleading with Jabari did not go to the hospital and threatening to kill himself were
mentioned in court.
Claims by two of Majors' ex-girlfriends who alleged he emotionally and or physically abused
them during their relationship with him were similarly blocked from being shared at trial.
One of the ex-girlfriend's actress Emma Duncan claimed Majors once choked her and in another
argument threatened to strangle and kill her.
Major's attorney claimed he never choked or threatened Duncan.
When Jabari sued Majors last March for defamation assault, battery, malicious prosecution,
complaint gave her full account of this alleged September 2022 attack.
Their case was settled last November.
The prolonged fight allegedly began when majors became upset with Javari for going to a pub
with a friend and having the friend back over to their house.
According to evidence presented at trial in Javari's civil complaint, the fighting continued
over the next few days with majors admitting in a separate audio recording played at trial that he had a temper
and that he expected Jabari to hold herself to the standards of credit Scott King and Michelle Obama in order to support him.
We heard that tape on September 20th of 2022, the situation escalated according to a lawsuit when Majors became physically aggressive and pushed Jabari so hard that it bruised her backside.
She attempted to leave the house, but Majors allegedly picked Grace up in the air and threw her against the hood of her car.
Now, we've seen him pick her up if you watch that video.
Grace began shouting for help.
Majors then forcefully grabbed Grace placing her in a headlock and putting his hand over her,
mouth to prevent someone from hearing her cries for help.
He brought Grace back into their house and held his hands around her neck stating that he
wanted to kill her and that he was going to kill her.
Majors then started hitting Grace's head against the marble floor while strangling her until
she felt she could no longer breathe.
Majors later texted Javari and pleaded with her not to go to the hospital according to
the suit and evidence shown at trial saying, I fear you have no perspective of what could
happen if you go to the hospital.
They will ask you questions and as I don't think you can actually protect us.
it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie and they suspect something.
So clearly protecting himself, not only is a man not wanting to get in trouble,
but also his career asking her to do this kind of stuff, which is really abhorrent.
Some of Jabari's responses were redacted during the trial,
but the lawsuit says Jabari went on to tell majors,
why would the man I love throw me around, strangle me, and look at my eyes and say he hates me and wants to kill me.
I'm reminded of what happened each waking second because I can barely move without pain.
and I also have to heal physically.
That's not me stating other than facts.
I've endured a bad head injury and I feel unwell.
I have brain fog and I have a constant ringing headache.
That sounds like a concussion to me.
Majors has denied being physically abusive to Javari,
probably because he can because there's no physical evidence
and no video evidence like there was with him in the car.
The audio comes in the wake of Major sitting down for his first major interview,
as we said,
talking to completing a 52-week domestic violence intervention program
speaking to THR,
head of the March 21st release of his film magazine dreams which had been sheled by shirts like pictures
majors decline answers specific questions about jabari's accusations he also didn't address any abused
claims raised by two former partners who dated him between 2013 and 2019 major told the publication at
some point there has to be accountability for writing your own story am i going to follow that narrative
of falling apart a self-destruction have a struggle blame the world have a struggle hate yourself have a struggle
to deny everything none of those narratives is beneficial major said his new found
outlook was different. Have a struggle, learn, metabolize, grow.
Various producers spoke with THR, directors and A-listers as well,
including Michael B. Jordan, Matthew McConaughey, Woburg,
who praised Majors' talent, work ethic, and spoke of their hope that he'd be able to resume
his career in Hollywood. Of course, they can all say that because it's not a relationship
with him, a romantic relationship with him.
Majors has never directly apologized for his behavior towards his ex-coffens
and has denied ever being physically abusive to women.
In fact, an interview with, quote, Morning America in last year, of April,
of last year, rather,
he said, well, he might not have been, quote, the best boyfriend at the time.
He insisted that he had, quote, never hit a woman.
My hands have never struck a woman ever.
Maybe there's technically truth in there.
If he's choked some of these women, maybe he doesn't think he's hit them.
Mora Hooper, one of major ex-co girlfriends who alleged emotional abuse and controlling behavior.
That's what I was referencing earlier, told the Holly reporter that she would like an apology.
I don't really care that his movie is coming out.
She said, what do you get at the end of a 52-week domestic violence course?
Did the victims get a debrief?
How could I know if he's changed?
I don't see redemption happening.
here. So interesting comments, interesting situation, especially on the heels of the magazine
dreams film coming out here in the next three days. I will go see the movie, full disclosure. I want
to review it. I want to see what this performance is like. That being said, this is some pretty
rough territory. On The Geek Buddies this past Friday, Michael Vogel and I spoke about that article
from THR. And it seemed like this was the comeback that was starting to happen. He was saying all of this
stuff. And certainly if you're being a bit cynical, you can go, this is very choreograph,
this is very staged, very planned. Even Michael said that I think it's a good PR strategy here to have him
go on these numerous or sit down for these numerous interviews and talk about how he was sexually
abused. You get sympathy. You build up sympathy. And what he's saying, metabolize and grow.
That's a great way of saying, I'm not going to take responsibility for what I did. I'm going to
learn from what happened and grow. And the fact that he's never reached out to any of these women
apologize. Listen, this is very important about you figuring out who is telling the truth,
who's not telling the truth about redemption and about them seeking forgiveness and seeking to find
a good place out. It's real easy to find another fellow actress like he did, Megan Good,
walk around with the Bible all day and claim to have been reborn or saved or go to church
and all of that stuff. I totally respect that if there's some authenticity to it. But the other
side of it is if you're going to say that you have changed or a different person, you want people
to give you the benefit of the doubt and you're not reaching out to these women to apologize
for your behavior, to have sit downs with them and conversations with them. And yes, you can have it
in a controlled environment in a public place. You can have your representative there with you
so that you can make sure that if anything happens, you've got witnesses. But like you can,
there's a way to do this that I think speaks to an authentic change versus what.
one that is selfish.
And it seems like this is a guy at this stage in his life,
he could change years late from years from now,
that is very selfish about himself,
very focused about himself,
and believes that these women did things that made him upset.
That's my speculation.
That's my analysis of what I'm seeing with these reactions and these comments.
She went out to a bar and then she brought somebody home without talking to me about it.
This is my home.
I control our home.
She should have talked to me about it.
blah blah blah right so there's an element of that it seems like you can extrapolate that
from the back and forth that you hear about and then she's saying i said something sarcastic which
upset you right so the fact that he goes to violence and that a numerous women have said he has
gone to violence with them tells you that this is something he has been doing for quite some time
and i think there's something really fair about saying that out loud if there is a pattern of it
You have to talk about it, make people aware of it, you have to deal with it.
And these reporters who are agreeing to interview him but not bring up these allegations,
I think that's cowardly as hell.
You're a journalist.
You're a reporter.
If you want to be respected, you have to do more than just kiss the ass of the creative.
If that person is willing to walk into your interview session and tell you, you can't ask me about any of these things.
nonsense, then we don't do the interview.
Like, why I want to ask you about these things?
I want to ask you where you're at.
I want to ask you what's going on.
I want to ask you about these allegations.
And I want to hear what you have to say about these allegations.
That's also a way where you have redemption.
I am open to talking about all of this stuff.
Ask me whatever you want to ask me about.
I will tell you the honest truth about it.
And I have reached out to these women and asked for their forgiveness.
And I have reached out to these people and gone through everything.
That's true.
That's true redemption.
That's true seeking penance, or sorry, doing penance, seeking forgiveness, seeking understanding,
and bringing closure to these women.
And I think that's really important, too.
You can't discount the importance of closure, especially people in abusive situations.
Because when people are in abusive situations, sometimes the mentality is what did I do to cause this person to abuse me?
Because I see this person being defended by Whoopi Goldberg, by Michael B. Jordan, by Matthew McConaughey.
How can all these people who I've enjoyed and watched for years like this guy,
is there something wrong with me that caused him to do these things to me?
So what you do when you go and speak to somebody,
at least that's what I've read in these books and whatever,
is that like you're saying to that person,
it is not your fault.
I was going through some stuff.
I'm a terrible person where I was at.
I should have never done these things to you.
And I seek your forgiveness.
There's nothing you did.
And so you give them a little bit of closure because they also have to heal.
They often have to go through their own.
journey to deal with why they stayed with someone like this, why they allowed themselves
to be abused in the situation and why they were willing to stick around in a situation like
this, you know, and I think that's important to consider. So I know for me now this is,
I know this is like September of 2022, these, this audio, but like when you, you couple it
together with all this other stuff and the court does, the court can say, you know, we don't
bring this evidence in from past up. The court can do.
that. Human beings do not have to adhere to that mentality and do that. Human beings can look at this
as a whole and be like there is a real problem here. And he's going to do it again. Unless he's got
really, really good therapy and he's going through some really, really good times, there's going
to be another incident again. And when that happens, are people invested in his success going
to cover it up? Or are people who legitimately care about him?
going to stop him and get him to seek help for this anger.
Because clearly it seems like there's a lot of anger in here.
And that has to be addressed.
Look, I'm a guy who had a lot of anger growing up in my 20s and 30s and 40s,
and I had to go to therapy to come to terms of a lot of the anger, you know,
and come to terms of a lot of the moments.
I still, you know, occasionally lash out on social media or go toe to toe with people on
social media.
But like, please, please.
It's nothing like I was.
then because back then I was military there's a lot of angers like a internal civil war going on with me so
i was a much more uh I was you know I was a good guy but I was at times I could get really angry about
situations and storm off or whatever and that's how it goes I don't put my hands on anybody but
certainly I would get upset and and things and yell and things of that nature so but those are
things you when you're young you're like there's a you have to come to terms with what's going on
and there's a lot of self-hatred um a lot of
of anger is born from self-hatred. And that is once you understand that, when you realize that,
you've got to confront that self-hatred, come to terms of that self-hatred and come out the other
side with a little more appreciation and love for who you are as a person. It's not easy to do.
It takes a lot of effort. And I'm still working on it, even though I've had years of therapy that
have really changed me as a human being, changed me as a person. There are still times when the old
feelings come back, certain thought patterns come back. And you've got to deconstructing.
them and you've got to remove their power and change the synapsis that are connecting to lead you
to that overall thought. It's really important. For those you haven't done therapy, if you're,
if you're dealing with anger, if you're dealing with a lot of self-h hatred, dealing with a lot of
self-worth issues, self-esteem issues, man, I cannot advocate for therapy enough. It is so important.
And it's okay to go. It's okay to confront this stuff. And you can climb out of it.
And some of you may be feeling who we're watching right now or listening right now, like you're not
sure if you can climb all the way out it's so important to try it really is and so as much as i may be
judging jonathan majors in this moment and and looking all this and as a um a cumulative judgment of this man
it doesn't mean that he can't still down the road go through the process and go through the therapy and change
and actually go and give these women closure and go and ask for forgiveness and accept what he did and be
honest with himself about what he did uh and uh and owed up to it which is really the
mark of manhood. That's the real mark of maturity, regardless of gender, is owning up to your actions.
It's super important, you know, so we'll see what happens. I think this is going to be a situation here
that we'll see down the road. I mean, I wish him all that. I hope he recovers. I hope his victims get the
closure they need. And then maybe down the road, there's a possibility. I thought that the Kang thing
was opening up again, but this kind of stuff, if it catches fire, it could be quite, could push
it all back here in the Marvel universe. But we'll see. Not that that's the most important thing.
It's more a matter of like, well, this is where he's at career-wise. So I'm looking at it all overall.
All right. Let's move on to something a little more funnier. Let's talk about this situation,
a little more lighthearted, shall we say, not funnier, but lighthearted. Let's talk about what has
been going on here today. There was a second teaser trailer of Happy Gilmore that dropped today.
I don't know if you guys got a chance to see this thing, but I saw it this morning.
I did a reaction to it.
It is up on my channel, and I loved it.
I thought it was really sweet.
We had a special look teaser trailer back in December.
Well, they premiered, but Netflix's premiere today, a nearly two-minute official teaser trailer for its sequel to 1995's.
Happy Gilmore, the original film saw Sandler playing a failed hockey player with anger management issues
who finds unexpected success on the pro golf tour.
the title became a massive home video hit and remains one of Sandler's signature roles.
Yeah, it's one of my favorite early Sandler films.
I'm not a Billy Madison person, but I love Happy Gilmore.
And then, of course, Big Daddy after that.
And then we got into some real fun stuff with The Wedding Singer and other films as well.
But he returns alongside Julie Bowen, who plays,
it looks like his wife from the trailer, Virginia Bennett.
Ben Stiller is back, who is, of course, playing that ruthless attendant to the elderly there.
Alan Coburn is Otto.
Dennis Duggan is Doug Thompson.
Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGabbin.
But also Nick Swartson is in this, of course.
Benny Safty, Bad Bunny, who's all over the trailer, Kim Whitley, Margaret Qualley.
Wow, Scott Muscooty, MJF, Maxwell, Jacob Freeman, Eminem, Becky Lynch, Dan Patrick,
Travis Kelsey, and John Daley, who is in the trailer, John Daley.
It's really fun.
Kyle Neuichek, who did murder mystery back in 2019, is directing the film, and it is slated to drop on Netflix on July 25th,
and it's co-written by Tim Hurley, who did the U.S.
original movie with Dennis Dugan, who is the original director on his EP.
I thought that was so much fun that trailer.
And it's really sweet.
It's a sweet trailer.
It is, of course, Happy is grown now and Happy is kids and Happy's been married.
So Happy has lost his smile to use a city slickers term when you watch this trailer.
And I thought the trailer was so good and funny and sweet and touching.
And it's a teaser.
So you only get like a couple of shots of shooter.
You only get a little bit of bad bunny.
You do get some nice back and forth with Adam Saylor and Julie Bowen
who are parents and she's basically telling him
like Billy Crystal was told in city,
told in city slickers to go and find your smile.
And so the fact that that's an element of the film,
I think is a smart move.
Because the people who loved that film back then in the 90s
have all grown up.
I hate to break it to you.
Some of you are probably grand.
fathers now. Some of you are dads, but some of you are older. Either way, most of you or all of you
were older who watched the original film back then in the 90s. So your perspective on the world has
changed completely. So I think Sandler's really smart and Hurley. He were really smart to focus on
that aspect of it all. But there's a lot of humor in the trailer. There's a lot of funny moments
in the trailer. There's a lot of touching moments in the trailer. And I think this is hopefully
a good film from him coming back to the well.
of Happy Gilmore.
And maybe there's more to come.
Maybe there's a Billy Madison too.
Maybe there's a wedding singer too with him and Drew Barrymore.
I mean, Drew hosts that show.
She is still very much in the pop culture,
Zykeist.
So Drew and Adam coming back for a wedding singer sequel,
I think could be really interesting and fun.
So who knows?
Maybe this is opening the door to some of this.
Because I'd rather see sequels from his good films
than sequels to his shit films.
Like grown-ups, too, that's a horrific sequel.
You know, and so I'd want to...
I thought Murder Mystery 2 wasn't bad.
I thought that was okay as well.
So we'll see.
We'll see.
All right, there we go.
Let's move on to some other punch trunk love too.
I don't think that's happening, so we will see.
All right, let's see what else we've got going on here.
I want to make sure we got all these stories through before we have to hit the questions here.
And by the way, only eight questions?
Come on, guys.
Send in your super chat, send in your love here.
I am hosting the show.
There's over 330 of you watching me right now, almost 350 of you watching right now.
please make sure you subscribe to the channel down below there for Christian Harlaff's channel,
but also send in your super chats.
As I said, I want to get to 61 at least hosting the show solo so that, you know,
we can show Christian.
We did a good job here today.
So send in your love here for me.
I don't want to come to your house.
And you know the old days of things I used to do to get you guys to send in your stuff.
Don't make me do it.
I don't want to do it for God's sake.
All right.
Let's move on to this Aronovsky story from my brother Jeff Snyder.
on the hot mic, a new report at the Instider.com is claiming that fame to Black Swan and
the whale director, Darren Aronovsky, is in negotiations to direct the new film adaptation
of Stephen King's Coojo at Netflix. If it happens, it will mark Aronofsky's first scripted feature
for a streaming service and one of the latest high-profile filmmakers to have tackled a Stephen
King adaptation in recent years. The project was announced just the other week. Koojo is one of King's
most well-known novels.
The 1981 work deals with a once-friendly St. Bernard dog
who turns into a killer after being bitten by a rabbit bat.
Soon a mother and son become trapped in a sweltering car by the monstrous duo.
The property was previously adapted into a film in 1983 with Dee Wallace,
who, by the way, her daughter is on TikTok and did a fun video where they've been doing
this stuff on TikTok where daughters of famous people who were actors back in the day
talk about how when my mom or my dad was young, they broke a lot of hearts.
And when they show Dee Wallace, there was a lot of us who grew up in the DeWallis era of
the 80s who had a thing for D for sure.
The film scored mixed reviews back then, but made back more than three times its budget.
In terms of other King adaptations, recently Gary Doberman helped read the recent Salem's
lot, which kind of came and went on Max.
However, the rest have gone or going theatrical, including Osgood Perkins, Rees and the
monkey, Mike playing against Life of Chuck.
Francis Lawrence has already shot the long walk.
and Edgar Wright's currently in a production of The Running Man with Glenn Powell.
So what do you guys think?
Darren Aronofsky taking on Kujo.
Aronovsky is an auteur.
He's an avant-garde filmmaker.
And so, you know, he brings a lot of serious artistry to his work.
So can he do a straight-up Kujo adaptation?
Will it work?
Will it be interesting?
Will it be fun in terms of capturing the horror,
but also the madness?
that makes us uncomfortably laugh
when horror is done really well.
Yeah, and I remember this one.
Louis T.D.D.D.D.T.D.R.
yeah, Danny Pintaro, Daniel Hugh Kelly.
Yeah, Ed Lauder was in this one,
in the original one. So a lot of these 80s actors.
But, I mean, look at Darren Aronofsky's resume.
I mean, pie is the thing that he first pops up with
as a director here.
and then you get the you get the wrestler you get the fighter i guess the fighter
to a degree is much more of a mainstream well no actually he produced he didn't direct
okay sorry so let's look at this pie requiem for a dream my god the fountain which is an
interesting i like the fountain but i know it's a very divisive film the wrestler which was
amazing black swan which was incredible i liked noah i know a lot of people don't like moa oh
I hated mother.
The whale was damn good,
and I did not see postcard from Earth,
but that, is that a documentary?
Yeah, no, I don't know.
Is that a documentary or not?
I don't know what the film is.
Oh, it's a documentary.
Okay, so, yeah, so to me,
he's a damn good film director,
but a horror film in his hands is really interesting,
because nothing in his resume has a horror film on it.
Are there elements of horror?
Yes, in Reck Room for a Dream in terms of being lost in a cycle of addiction and what that leads to in those moments when Alan Burstyn gets committed near the end of the movie, which is really unsettling and horrific.
There are elements of horror in Black Swan with what's going on between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis and the mom, Barbara Hershey.
But a straight-up horror film I haven't seen Darren Aronovsky do, but could be curious, his take on it.
Would you, is this more an existential approach?
Will he do a straight horror?
Will he have it be symbolic of something more?
Will he be trying to say something more about Kujo?
Is this a commentary on animal versus man, human rather?
Is that the approach they're doing with this?
It's very curious.
I love him as a director.
So I'm excited by the choice if this is actually going to be the choice.
But I'm also really curious about the kind of Kujo film we're going to
get from Darren Aronofsky.
It's fascinating to see where that could go with all.
Yeah, Black Swan.
I don't think Black Swan is a horror movie.
Horror adjacent, I agree with that.
But I don't think it's a horror movie, Clarence Nike, at all.
I think it is certainly a human exploration of the things that we can conjure up in our minds
about situations.
But I wouldn't say necessarily it's a straight-up horror.
room. The fountain doesn't really have much horror to it. Oh, there are moments of some brutality in the
film. So, yeah, interesting. Yeah, good point. Yeah, like with Abernathy says, the dog is going to be a
tested animal. Yeah, maybe. Yeah, maybe. Like, it's got to be a commentary about what they're
doing to animals. I feel like that's going to be an element of this, what they're doing to animals,
how they're caging them, how they're treating them.
And so Kujo is fighting back from all of that.
And also, what's the mother-son relationship
that is going to explore in the movie?
Again, if you look at all those movies,
they all have this kind of element of interpersonal relationships
that are interesting to explore.
And the whale between Brendan Fraser and Sadie Sink.
In Black Swan with Natalie Portman and Barbara Hershey.
so they have this element to them.
You know, even record for a dream,
the relationship between Jennifer Connolly and Jared Leto
in the film and what that all leads to.
And that's, you know, that final scene is pretty
horror-inducing what she has to do
and what she's left doing to survive
and what he has to do and what happens to his arm.
You know, so there are elements of it.
I didn't see mother.
I mean, I saw Mother, but I didn't think it was that.
I thought it was kind of laughable.
so I didn't sense the horror elements of it.
So, yeah, it's interesting.
We will see how that goes dumb.
Now, if Mother went over your head, you have no media.
The movie lacked all subtlety.
Yes, it did.
It lacked a lot of things besides subtlety.
But yeah, we'll see.
But, I mean, you know, the last few years,
and Aronofsky's been in and out,
people didn't really like Noah.
I liked Noah.
I thought Noah was damn good
as someone who grew up Catholic
and read the Bible consistently
and knew the Noah story,
I thought it was a ballsy take,
having those creatures be a part of helping Noah build the ark.
It was an interesting decision to make,
but the performances from Russell and Emily Watson, yes,
and Anthony Hopkins and is it Logan Lerman?
I think Logan Lerman's in that movie.
I thought the performances were really good,
and Jennifer Colley, ironically there as well.
So yeah, yeah, right, exactly, RJ.
that's what I'm talking about. I liked it, but I know a lot of people did. My fellow Catholics slash Christian
Shannon McClong and the geek buddies, he was not a fan of Noah, but I liked Noah. And his issue was the rock creatures.
And I totally understand that. But for me, they worked. And I thought Russell was famous. Oh, Emma Watson.
Sorry, Emma, not Emily, Emma Watson. Yeah. And I thought he was great. Oh, yeah, Ray Winstone was a good villain.
Ray Winston was better in Noah than he fucking was in Black Widow.
100% that's the villain you wanted to see in Black Widow and he was not that villain Black Widow.
If we had gotten that Noah villain, Ray Winstone and Black Widow, I think that film would have been even better to see.
But that being said, Darren Aronovsky, we'll see what happens.
We'll see how it goes down.
We'll see what his version of Kujo is going to look like as it goes along.
So we'll see.
One big quick notes for me personally and maybe some of you Stallone fans, Tulsa King has been renewed for season three on Paramount Plus.
They announced that a new season has started production in Atlanta and Oklahoma.
The renewal is hardly a surprise.
The show's second season return in September was Paramount's most watch global premiere in the streamers history.
For season three, executive producer Dave Erickson will take over as sole showrunner.
He is the showrunner of another Taylor Sheridan series, mayor of Kingston, which is the one with Jeremy Redder.
It recently signed a multi-year overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios.
The announcement lacks a couple of key behind-the-scenes names from season.
two on again off again lead writer terence winter wasn't included in the mix and last season also brought
aboard craig zisk to serve as lead director they essentially split show burning duties with winter handling
the running side zisk doing the production duties but there's no official word on when the third season
will premiere so it seems like those two are gone which is a shame because i like the second season
more than the first season of um Tulsa king but doesn't mean that they won't get it right in the third
season we will see but i like the idea of him and yes it's ridiculous
that he's a ambassador to troubled Hollywood Stallone.
It's heartbreaking where Stallone's loyalties lie nowadays,
but still, I still enjoy Tulsa King,
so I'm going to keep going with that show as well.
What else have we got to talk about before we get into some of your questions?
Yeah, Saw 11.
Let's do with the Saw 11 story,
and then maybe we'll wrap up the show and get into some questions,
maybe end the show a little bit early.
But depending on how many questions,
and right now we're at 11,
would love to get more as we go along, but we'll see.
Let's share this Saw 11 story for some of you who are speaking of horror.
Some of you are horror people.
Let's go through this story here.
But after two decades and 10 films, the Saw franchise may have reached its end.
Wow.
2023 Saw X Saw 10s became the best reviewed film on the series that grossed $11 million world.
Lionsgate so happy with the result, they quickly greenlit saw 11 for a September, 2024 release.
Last spring, that release was then pushed back to September of 2025.
Today, bloody disgusting reports that, according to their sources,
according to their sources.
The project is, quote, totally dead.
It's 100% over almost a year now.
Their sources, everything fell apart back in January last year
when the producer started fighting.
One tried to plow forward as the other put up roadblocks.
Meanwhile, Studio Lionsgate didn't have anyone to smooth over the disagreement.
With the film effectively canceled,
the franchise is effectively dead.
And an insider says the franchise will likely either be sold on
or will be rebooted and start over.
They added that, quote, greed and ego won.
at the end of the day.
So that's a shame.
They don't specify which of the producers
was fighting with who.
They don't say who was going at each other's throats.
And they don't say where lions get lied on all.
But it's odd of the studio doesn't come in to smooth things over
when this is one of their biggest properties
and their biggest franchises.
So I'm really surprised that did not lead to anything,
uh,
calming things down with Saw 11 and putting it all.
back on track because the last film, as they said, made $111 million, was really well received.
Why go off the tracks now when that film did so well?
But as I said earlier, egos in Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen, that's a massive, massive thing.
I know you want to love everybody and I know you want to think the best of all of these creatives,
but when it comes to in front of the camera, when it comes to film and TV, there's a lot of egos.
It's a lot less in the voiceover industry.
I have found those are some of the most amazing people in the entertainment business
are voiceover people.
They care about each other.
They take care of each other.
They give each other roles.
Like, I'm not right for this.
You should get this person.
I've never seen it in any other area of the entertainment industry.
In the other, all the other areas, it's ego.
As we see with these producers, it's, it's battling for control.
You know, my voice needs to be the voice here.
You're undercutting me.
or why are you sabotaging the situation because you want to have your voice heard?
So there's all of that goes on with Hollywood.
I hope I'm not telling you anything new that egos are a massive part of Hollywood,
unfortunately.
And that's what leads to problems.
And even with big franchises like this that are on the upswing,
even after 10 movies,
which is a real rarity when it comes to horror franchises,
that it's on the upswing.
Sadly, it looks like it might be dead for now.
But maybe this all came out in an effort to get people to resolve the issue and get people more,
get the adults in the room to settle all of this and make it happen.
But it's a shame to see that for Saw 11 that it goes out the way it went out.
All right.
Is there one more thing?
Yeah, one last thing.
Let's do one last story and then we'll get to the questions.
I see a lot of super chats coming in.
Thank you all so much.
Can't wait to read them and answer some of these questions.
But let's get into this mortal combat story with Dr.
which dropped right as we were finishing yesterday on
on the Christian Harlov show yesterday.
Let's take a look at some of these first images.
Look, I did not like that first Mortal Kombat movie,
and I don't mean the original,
which was a fun, cheesy time.
I mean, the most recent one,
not a big fan of it.
I was on a set visit for it.
I thought they were going to be great with that movie
and they didn't end up being great,
but there is a sequel.
Certainly they made enough to make a sequel.
And you've got a great actor and Carl Urban coming in to play Johnny Cage.
Carl Urban is one of the greatest what-ifs in Hollywood, isn't it?
Like, why if, no, he's one of the greatest, why isn't he in Hollywood?
Why isn't he dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, more successful?
Why isn't he dot, dot, dot, dot, dot in a bunch of awesome new franchises?
Why isn't he dot, dot, dot, dot, dot in bigger content than just the boys?
And him coming down to do Marvel, Mortal Kombat, too, tells me that he doesn't have a lot of options in the main, you know,
Why is it Marvel and DC and Star Wars knocking down the door to get Carl Urban into their movies?
Now, Carl is a phenomenal actor, and Dread is one of the best comic book movies the last 25 years.
So it just doesn't make it, which he led, so it just doesn't make any sense why Carl isn't in bigger franchises that he has to do Johnny Cage and Mortal Kombat too.
But yeah, we got the images.
Martin Ford is the menacing show Khan and Adeline Rudolph as Katana along with the returning Hiroki Sonata,
Scorpion.
Cage was only teased in the first film at the end,
not shown in person with the boys actor,
Urban officially taking all the role for the sequel.
Ed Boone co-creator the franchise and had the gaming developer at Nether Realm Studios
tells EW.
His integration into the Mortal Kombat story.
Ed Universe is a big part of what this movie explores.
He's a washed-up Hollywood guy thrown into this magical ultra-violent thing.
Carl, his depiction of Johnny Cage, is different than our games in some ways.
He's adding his own flair to it, but I think it'll feel fresh.
There's like a novelty factor in there.
He also adds that Cage serves.
as the audience as the audience lends into the new story in much the same way
Lewis Tance Cole did in the first film and he says some of the biggest
laughs from advanced screenings have come from Cage's introduction scene the first
film saw outworld sorcerers Shang Song play by Chin Han and his forces attempt to
wipe out Earth's champions before the tournament began which I thought was such a
lame decision with the sequel the tournament is now in a way and one which will see
Shokhan and Fate Earth if they lose I mean how the the stupidity of not having
the tournament in the first movie and having it be
about them trying to stop
them being at the tournament was so dumb
just so dumb.
Both Josh Lawson's Kano and Max
Wong's Kong Lau return for the sequel despite
their character's death in the first film. That's great
because Josh Lawson is killing it
right now and they sing on that
St. Dennis Medical Show on NBC
and Peacock. If you guys aren't watching
that show, it is a great new comedy
and he is hilarious as
the head surgeon there. Boone
says it's not twins, right? Oh, for the
Boone says it's not twins, rather. We deal with spirits in the nether realm and things like that.
There are ways to bring dead characters back.
Film goes bigger and scale. We'll travel to multiple different realms,
which allows for a varied visual approach. This is coming out one day after my birthday this year,
October 24th, 2025. So here are the pictures, here are the shots.
A boy back there who played, who is in Law & Order right now,
and you guys know him as James Olson and Supergirl. He is back as well.
there is katana well i thought there's a good shot there and the costume dig it i dig it it's a nice
updated this is a great shot i love this from shokhan and then this here heuruki sanata back again of course
after the success of numerous things he's been involved in most recently shogun so really great
stuff to see them all back good images but doesn't mean it's going to be a good movie
i don't know we'll see we'll see when it all uh comes out for sure uh should have cast brand
Brett Foster in the Johnny Cage rule.
I don't know.
Yeah, because Johnny's like,
washed up actor.
He's like in his 50s.
I think Carl Urban is in his 50s, right?
So it's like,
it's an interesting decision to go with someone who is much older than someone in their 30s.
Yeah, he's 52, New Zealand actor there, Carl Urban.
So we'll see.
All right.
Let's get into some super.
Well, actually, we're going to play some ads.
We'll put the second ad block.
And after this, we'll get into your questions and your super chat.
So start sending them in now if you haven't sent them in or even waiting and send them in.
Send them in now. I'll answer them as we go along here.
So we'll be right back right after this on the Kristen Harlov Show.

Dotrackings.com slash prom.
Almost ends April 27th, 2025 at 1159 p.m. Eastern standard time.
There you go. Some great people sponsoring the Christian Harlov show here on the Christian
Harlov channel. Thanks to them. A lot of stuff they make the world go around here on the
Christian Harlov channel really essential and importance. But you know who else is really
essential important? That's you all. And I'm really excited to be getting into your super
chats here as we start this section of the show. So let's get into it. Shout out to Aaron James,
new member, became a YouTube member.
Good job, Aaron. I like that shot.
Look at you hanging out with your electric guitar.
Respect, man.
Respect.
Julian Ramos, Julian Ramos, says,
thoughts on the scene of promo.
Oh, I'm glad you asked me.
I'm so glad you asked me.
Let's talk about it.
26 and a half minutes, that whole section was.
By the way, I've watched it three times now.
That's right.
I've watched almost an hour and a half of just a promo.
And I got to tell you, man.
I was not a fan of the promo.
I was not.
This to me was a promo that was 10 years.
I guess I should say this.
Let me,
let me be a little more fair.
This was a damn good promo if it had been delivered 10 years ago.
This was a terrible promo being delivered now.
Nobody hates John Cena now.
Everybody cheers for him now.
Everybody loves his make a wish stuff.
Everybody loved him in Peacemaker.
Everybody loves him in all these movies.
He's been such a revelation as a comedic actor and he's getting better and better.
If you watch that first season of Peacemaker, he's amazing.
And when he's come back for this retirement tour, people have been cheering him like crazy.
They fabricated a narrative from way back when to bring into 2025 and it was lame.
It was not a good promo.
Cody came out, delivered less than five minutes,
and I thought he had a good promo, not a great promo.
I think he still has trouble sometimes talking tough,
and it doesn't radiate as strongly as it should.
But I'll tell you this, the fans in Belgium were amazing.
I think it was in Brussels, the muscles from Brussels there,
they were amazing.
They were on fire from the opening second.
when you heard the John Sina
saw the John Sina Titan Tron
because they didn't play in the new music,
they did anything that stuff.
And he came out and said,
I'm not wearing new clothes and all above, blah, blah, blah.
But the promo is basically complaining
about being hated by people since the beginning.
And the truth is,
nobody hates John now.
So it's 10 years too late.
Once again, the rock and the intelligentsia people at WWE
are manufacturing and shoving in a storyline
that was not having to be.
happening doesn't make sense wasn't organic they are creating it out of scratch and you can say well that's
the whole point a great story Eliza yes but you've got to make them believable it makes sense and this
doesn't make sense and this was such a wasted promo I was supremely disappointed by it and uh but i mean
that being said they only let they let seen a talk for 20 minutes and then they let cody talk for
five and then it was over right there was no back and
forth. And you could tell, Sina wanted to go back at Cody. So this is just the appetizer. As I imagine,
they're going to get into it, maybe on Smackdown later this week or next week on Raw. But we're
only five weeks out from WrestleMania. And so to me, they got the desired effect from the audience.
So you could, as I said, everything being fair, to be fair and everything in this, in a separate
thing, what did it accomplish? Did it get the angle over? Yes, I think it did. So it
accomplish that. Did the fans respond massively to the situation where they tapped into it
100%. So you could say it was effective. But looking at it for the promos that John Cena's done in the
past, I thought it was like he said, like Cody said, a bit of a whiny bitch promo that would
have worked 10 years ago. They should have gone so much more darker with John if they're going to
make him heal. He has to go
even darker. He has to go
to the point where even the rock is not
sure he can control John. That he has
created this monster or unleashed
this monster and there's all this
rage. Him going at a kid
in the front row, fine.
Rick Rudy used to do that all the time. Big deal.
Flayers is the all the time. Big deal.
You've got to go farther.
And I think if you're going to make this heel turn work
and do the promos that make sense,
you've got to take the chain off
John Cena even more. The question
is does John Cena want to do that because the realities are he is a brand kids do love him the
make-a-wish stuff is very important and i think john's an older guy now he's married he wants he doesn't
maybe he doesn't want to go full crazy heel but that's the only way this turn works is if he goes so
far the other way that's why people hated hogan so much after he turned heel because hogan went
full the other way full the other way and if you don't go full the other way i think and you come off the
chicken shit heel i don't think the chicken shit heel is
is a good look on CNA. He has to be like, I'm going to destroy everyone and everything.
And that's how it has to play. And unfortunately, I don't think he got that job done necessarily
last night. But that's my opinion. Some people liked it. Certainly on our text thread with Aaron and
Chris, they both liked it way more than I did. Darren, what's up? Darren, good to see you.
Always love seeing you, Darren. He says, UK support for your weekly win, John. Thank you.
You've been marathoning the G1 Transformers cartoon today. Your favorite automobots and decepticons from the show.
Oh, my God. Of course, Optimus, but and Bumblebee, but, ooh, G1, let's see, G1, Autobots.
Let's see, what do we got here?
Yeah, of course, Optimus.
I mean, Iron Hyde was great.
I always enjoyed him.
Jazz was fun because you had the scat band Crothers, I think, voicing jazz.
Wheeljack was cool.
Yeah, and Bubblebee, of course, as I said, who else?
Who's the guy that was like Optimus?
Yeah, kind of sidest wipe,
kind of had that Optimus look to him.
And Cliff Jumper.
Oh, yeah, I thought Cliff Jumper was awesome.
So those are the Decepticon automots
that I remember from the G1 stuff on animated stuff.
Let's see if I've got a list here of the Decepticons
from season one or from the G1 stuff.
So those are the Autobot.
Where are the Decepticons?
We got to slice them up, right?
I guess they don't have them.
Oh, well, I can, I'll take a look at that stuff a little bit later, maybe.
Here we go.
Is there a Wiki for the Decepticons?
Yeah, we'll see.
I mean, you guys know one of the big ones.
But the question is, how many of them are still carry some,
attention from people and carry the love for people.
So yeah,
it's an interesting way to go about with this stuff,
you know, for sure.
So,
yeah,
look at the great Civil War here.
Yeah,
Megatron,
of course,
Galvatron,
of course.
Shockwave was great.
Thundercracker,
I thought,
was a ramjet.
Definitely ramjet,
sound wave,
yes.
Yeah,
those are some of the ones there,
Darren. Thanks for the question. I love you that you're
going through those G1 stuff. You must be having a blast.
Grimbar 13 says, thanks for host today. Always glad to have you.
Thank you, Grim Bear, doing the best I can here.
I know I'm no Christian Harlow, but I sit in
for him and do the best I can. Thank you.
Go, pal. What's up? Go, pal. Says on tape delay
because I didn't check the fine print. Ah, yes, yes. Some of you may be
catching up here thinking we went at L at 11 instead of 10.
Swat with Farrell is under, I'll call him Farrell.
Yeah, a lot of people like SWAT. A lot of people enjoyed that.
my brother, Andre Gordon, has been on one of my shows.
He was an extra on SWAT, said he had a great time shooting that film.
So, yeah.
Carver Tate, fantastic job covering for Christian.
Thank you, Carver, doing the best I can.
There's a lot to talk about today, but doing the best I can with all this stuff.
Hollywood Rules, just support him, avoid the outlaw.
Thank you.
You and Christian are my entertainment go-toes, even though you are wrong,
L.O.L. about the scene of He'll turn.
I still love you, Outlaw.
Well, listen, man, after that promo, am I wrong?
I mean, that wasn't a strong promo.
So that's one more week down.
We'll see what happens on Smackdown.
If you even shows up at Smackdown,
but I mean, if you listen to another week,
now you've got four weeks until WrestleMania.
And it's not that strong.
So yeah, real interesting questions here on this heel turn
because I think they're fumbling the ball.
Him not being on TV since the hill turn for almost two weeks.
It was such a massive mistake.
You know, you got to have him on.
It just doesn't, you got to have him on.
It just doesn't make sense.
You know, even the Rock,
he was doing the Sina heel turn.
It was the turn with Sina.
He was doing promos in Hollywood
that they would play on the Titan Tron.
So to me,
it doesn't make sense to go radio silent
for almost two weeks on the thing.
Zeus Fleming says,
can't stick around,
just want to show some support.
Thank you, Zeus.
Appreciate a good shot there with you.
And it looks like William Zabka there
from Cobre Kai.
Snow, Snow, Giamet.
How much do you think Snow White will make?
Ooh, good question.
It's about 50 to 55 right now.
I think tonight,
because I'm going tonight.
a lot of people are seeing it earlier today.
I saw Scott Mann's tweet about seeing it earlier today in L.A.
I'm going tonight.
I am hoping to like it.
But that being said, if the theater is full of kids
and all these people bringing their kids and stuff,
I might not stick around and then I'll go see it
Thursday when it comes out.
But, yeah, I think if people come out of the theater tonight,
these critics and are liking it,
I think the number is going to go up of what it can make.
may, I will say, if the critics come out and are universally positive about the movie,
which I think a lot of people waiting for, then I think it has the potential to do 65 to 70 million
this weekend, maybe even 80, maybe even 80, just all depends. There's not a lot out there.
All the other films that have come out are dying. The films, the other films that are
coming out are independent films that no one is going to see like Novocaine and BlackBag.
So I think there's a possibility if a lot of other critics, besides the ones who went to the premiere,
like the movie, then it has a potential to do
65, 70, 80. So I will say, I'll say
65 for now with the potential for 70 or 80s, what I'll say.
Darren Rice says, John, did you see the gaffe in Bulgarian soccer at the
weekend where a team held a minute silence for a player who's still alive? I did not.
What? That is hilarious. They held a minute's
silence for a player who is still alive. That is super funny,
man. That is super funny.
let's see
Michael McKenzie says
did you like death training
I've watched it Michael
I've been just focusing on the show
and I had to do a trailer reaction
for Happy Gilmore
2 which is up on my channel
right now my reaction to it
speaking to my channel
if you guys want to head on over there
YouTube.com slash John Roker says
if you like what I do here
during these live shows
I do my version of live shows
on my channel as well
and so you want to head on over there
we've also got geek buddy stuff
hot mic stuff you know we got geek buddies

So that may be a new show we add to the rotation consistently every week on the Outlaw Nation channel.
So things happening all around for us there over there.
So I will watch the trail a little later though, for sure, buddy.
Simon's section, I don't fear miracles.
Got to love DA Noah.
That's right.
Darren Arodofsky's Noah.
The issue it's the closest to go bots versus
Rock Lord's Live Action I will ever get.
Roka is doing a great job.
Oh, thanks, Simon.
I appreciate that.
Yes, I agree with you.
I thought that was really cool.
Listen, I know, look, I'm as by the book as you get
when it comes to being a Catholic and a Christian,
yet I do like films that take chances with these stories
or series that take chances with these stories
because it's interesting.
It's a way to tell them in new and fun ways.
I thought Noah did that, and so I enjoy Noah.
I watched it again the other night on Pluto TV,
and I was like, this is, I like this movie.
So I'm right about that in my mind.
Hollywood rules.
It's mimicking Andre's heel turn on Hulk,
using the ultimate baby face to turn a hill to create the next ultimate baby face slash star.
Andre could barely walk in WrestleMania 3.
That's for sure.
That's for sure.
But there was a history between Andre and Hulk.
There's not a history between Sina and Cody.
So to me, that isn't quite correlative.
I hear what you're saying.
but Andre was still a formidable
opponent for Hogan.
The idea of he hadn't slammed Andre,
which of course,
he had slammed Andre in the past in the 1980s,
but they kind of got rid of that footage
or didn't show that footage.
We didn't have social media like we do nowadays
or else that would have all come up
and people would have blown that up completely as a storyline.
But back then, we didn't know that he hadn't slammed Andre.
We didn't know all this stuff.
So for us, it was seen as this massive betrayal by a good friend.
Remember that when Hogan won the belt in, what,
81, 82, whatever was,
against Iron Sheik. He was Andre, who was one of the first people who walked out
during the interview with Gene O'Kleyn, popped the champagne, poured it on Hogan, and slapped
him on his shoulder or chest to say, you did a great job. Congratulations. So there was a history
between them. There's not a history between Sina and Cody, so it didn't quite the same.
Although I get your point. I don't know if I agree with your point, but I can see why you
might think this is the way they're going with that. Daren said, Adair Wright, back again, says,
will you be checking out Odessa with Sadie Sink when it releases tomorrow on Disney?
I will be checking out.
I still have to watch Electric State.
I mean, I don't want to watch this thing.
So many people are texting me about it.
And I is,
I haven't watched it yet.
I'm so afraid to sit through two hours of like banging my head against the wall type of experience.
But who knows?
We'll, I'll see.
Maybe I'll watch it later today and do a review of it.
But like, I'm not the biggest fan of it.
I'm not looking forward to it.
but we will see.
But yes, Odessa, I will check out this weekend, Darren,
even though I'm hearing kind of mixed things about it already
from people who've seen it, so we'll see.
Grim Bear 13th is a Carlin, was Executioner and Thor Ragnar.
He was, yes, I know.
And what another waste of his talent to play a smaller character
who gets essentially thrust into this situation with Hella
because he wants to just save his life,
and then in the end turns and helps Thor and what have you.
So again, not a strong character.
that Urban deserves more. He was fantastic
in the Star Trek series. He's fantastic
in the boys. I just wish there was something
more. I mean,
Alan Richon is getting
more pop right now than
Carl Urban than that should not be happening.
Seattle Chaos says, what's your opinion
on this past NFL free agency, the illegal tampering
period? Sorry, I'm getting a little
dry. Are your commander still looking like contenders
for next season?
I'm sorry, I don't know what's going on. My nose is a little stuffed.
Very strange.
Are your commander still
looking i like the NFL free agency i like the tampering period i think the viking have helped themselves
a lot even though people were not sure about that team i think you've got yourselves a little bit of
interesting yes you've lost dk you've lost tyler locket but bringing in sam darnold who if he can
repeat what he did last year for the vikings with maybe a better offensive coordinator a better
a better situation for him to step into that seattle team with a slightly better defense and
uh bringing in those receivers there to help him the Vikings might not be as bad as he just
You think I kind of love Gino Smith going to the Raiders.
He's got that kind of attitude for the Raiders.
So him and Pete Carroll, that's going to be interesting.
DK over Pittsburgh, depending on who they go with quarterback-wise.
Are they going to bring Russell back or is Russell going to go to Cleveland?
What's going to happen with Aaron Rogers?
Is he going to go to Pittsburgh?
Is he going to go to the Giants?
What's the conversation there?
So a lot of moving pieces, but it was exciting.
It was a very exciting free agency.
And I liked it the way went down.
And the Bengals, I think now are set to become this underdog.
with a chip on its shoulder next season.
Everybody better watch out for the Bengals because they were killing it by the end of the last season.
Didn't do enough to get in the playoffs.
But with Chase and Higgins, with Chase and, yeah, T-back,
they're going to be a formidable opponent for anybody.
And I think they're not going to start 0-2 this next season.
They may go like 14 and 3 next season.
I just have a feeling that Bengals are the team in the AFC to watch.
And I got a feeling that the Ravens time is all.
Almost done. No offense to Lamar, but man, if you can't do it with all these receivers and this great running back, I don't know, man. I don't know. Matt says, oh, my commanders, I think my commanders did well. I would like to have seen us get some more receiving help, some more defensive help. But, you know, the draft will see what happens. Things shake out. So I've said my overall opinion is wait and see, wait and see. Matt says, did you catch the most recent White Lotus episode? I think someone just locked up the guest star at me. Yeah, a lot of people talking about Sam Rockwell's.
monologue. I have not seen it.
I don't watch White Lotus, so I can't
speak on it. I just know I saw
it on Twitter and on
on X rather and on other places that
he did a, it was a surprise
guest star, did an incredible
monologue. So I don't know if I'll
catch up, but we'll see. Darren Rice says,
oh dear, Jay Uso, do you think
WWU might swerve? No, that was just
look, it's going to happen. Jay is,
I know, Jay is always
a snake bit. And that was a terrible
botch that he did and
having them compare it to top dollar
oh that was a bad bad
you don't want to be compared to top dollar in that situation man
so we'll see gunther's going to have to do something
what the fuck is gunther doing he needs to be promoting this
so much more than he has been uh neither drake
what's that nathan drake what's that nathan drake
one of my favorite schmonaut moments was when you couldn't think of
Calvin Klein answer and when the audience groaned you screamed shut the
fuck yeah i know shut the f up yeah because yeah man
Back in those days, dude, I was a, I was a, I was a prickly pair playing that game.
I remember that was like nine years ago that I think that match.
That was the one with what, me, Riley and Dan, right?
I think it was the one with me or the triple threat.
I was so upset.
I couldn't because I hadn't, you know, I hadn't seen Back to the Future forever.
It wasn't my like, oh my God, amazing.
Like I loved Back to the Future, but I wasn't worshipping at its altar.
so I couldn't come up with Calvin Klein.
And it might have come up in my mind,
but then I talked myself out of it,
which I did a number of times,
especially in that final match with Dan.
I said game of death in my mind,
but it seemed like such an easy answer
that I thought, well, maybe it's not right.
And I just, I talked myself out of it
and then said, I think it said the big boss or whatever.
It was, oh, I was so mad at myself
because I did know it.
I just talked myself out of it.
That happened a few times.
in the Shmona?
The match against Kalinowski and Chance the first time
when I wrote Red Planet and then I
erased it and put something else down
even though, because I didn't trust that I had the right answer.
And if I just trusted myself,
there's quite a few matches that if I just trusted myself,
I might have won just two or three more.
Who knows? Who knows?
But thanks for that reminder of when I snapped at the,
yeah, I wasn't someone to mess with when I was playing.
Because sometimes, because I'm the one that made it serious.
I'm the one that made people realize like this could be big.
And I was, I took it personally when people would like mess around with it.
I think it's just a simple trivia show and mess with us there on the stage trying to win.
Plus, I was very hungry back then trying to establish myself in this space.
And other people who were there were, had already been established or didn't take it that seriously.
So I got upset that day and yelled at them to shut that up.
Michael Miles says, let's get my brother the outlaw up to 50K.
Please subscribe to his channel if you haven't done so already.
Geek buddies and Hot Mike are worth it alone.
Thank you, Michael.
I agree.
Let's get.
I mean, at 37, I would love to get 13,000 more subscribers this year.
Get me up to 50K and then marching towards 100K.
I would love it.
It means I would get more interviews.
I would get into junkets more.
I would get more people to come on to the channel to be guests.
Be a lot of fun to be able to do that.
So the focus is really on doing that.
I'm going to start doing shorts.
One of my patrons
and someone who supported the Outlaw Day for a long time,
he has offered to help me do shorts
and do the shorts for me, which I really appreciate.
And eventually you could do more reactions.
I'm going to learn to edit my own reactions,
so I'll be doing more reactions on the channel.
So there's going to be more content comedy.
There's a lot of work that's going to have to go into it.
So that's the focus.
But thank you, Michael Miles.
And you can go and subscribe at my channel,
YouTube.com slash John Rokka says for that content there.
Thank you, Michael.
You're the best.
Nathan drinks, I think Gall will be the weakest part of Snow White.
Yes, a lot of the reviews, if you notice, are not even mentioning gal.
They're mentioning Rachel, but they're not mentioning gal at all.
So that to me speaks volumes in my mind.
Simon Section says, John missed my super chat.
What do you thoughts on the District 9 director who may be doing a Starship Troopers reimagining film?
Oh, yes, Neil Blomkamp coming in to do a reimagining a Starship Troopers.
I think this is a good director and a good property that puts.
both need each other right now.
Like Starship Troopers, the original, a lot of people talk about how much they love
of the Paul Verhoeven film and it's social commentary society, which I've never quite
bought, to be honest with you, because it's not that good of a film.
But I know people love it, so I'm not trying to shit on any of you who love it.
I know you love it.
It's not, it's never been my film.
But Neil Blomkamp coming in, who has a very spotty record as a director since District
9, I think is a good situation.
You've got a director who's hungry needs to get a hit.
You've got a property and franchise that needs a good point of view.
Blom Camp has an incredible amount of artistry.
So what is he going to create here?
So for me personally, I think this is a great idea to have them come together and do
a version of starship troopers.
And if it's going to be a societal commentary, I mean, our society is a damn powder keg right now.
So why not use what's going on in our worlds right now as a part of the motivation to create
a commentary on our society, what's going on?
the divisions and the anger and the frustration.
By the way, for those you, and speaking of which,
for those you weren't watching,
there's a, on Max,
they just dropped two episodes of the Karen Reed story.
I had no idea what this was all about.
The lady outlaw and I watched a,
like a minute into a trailer for this new series
and we're like, we're hooked because we love this true crime stuff.
And we watched the first two episodes.
And watching the first two episodes,
even within that story,
you can see the division of,
people who are on one side versus another
and hearing about how friends don't talk to each other anymore
because some people are on Karen Reid's side,
some people are on the side of the Boston police force.
It is a fascinating commentary in our society as well.
Even within that story,
there's division within our society in such strong ways.
So, you know,
so, you know, starshoot troopers would definitely do a commentary on that.
Nathan Drake said, what's going on with Rousseau's post end game?
I mean, yeah, I don't know, man.
like I said, the electric state thing, a lot of people say it's terrible.
A lot of my friends are texting me wondering if I've seen this trash heap.
I have not, so I will at some point be watching it probably tomorrow or maybe later today,
depending on the time before I go see Snow White.
But the Rousseau's, yeah, I don't understand.
These interviews are so weird, blaming Harvey Weinstein for the mainstream issues.
It's just so dumb.
It's like so dumb.
You just don't understand what their point of views on this, the AI comments.
were ridiculous and you know these are the guys that it just have they have just a weird point of
view and i just wonder in the end what it's all going to lead to and now you have to i mean like look
if if if these if these secret wars if these Avengers films come out and they're not that good
man are we going to be in some trouble in the marvel universe because i mean this is supposed to be
the new beginning of the marvel universe and if the russo brothers and uh is it uh macfili
if they blow this thing man oh man where does it go and you'd
damage RDJ coming back as well.
So yeah, a lot of questions, bro.
A lot of questions.
Nathan Drake says also urban as Johnny Cage is such a miscast in my opinion.
Yeah, probably because he's a little older.
Yeah, but they wanted a name to attach to it and they can sell it on him because of the boys,
you know, and Hiroki Sonata for Shogun.
So yeah.
Andrei Kravulka's his season finale of Severance is Friday.
What do you think of the season?
I don't watch Severance, Andrew.
I'm sorry.
I probably should catch up.
maybe on Thursday I'll watch the first season trying to catch.
But I did want to do my reaction.
So I may want to do, maybe that's where I do my reaction.
Season two of Severance and then, you know, the finale and whatever.
So yeah, maybe that's how I'll go with that.
So we'll see.
But thank you, Andrew, and I hear people are loving it.
Yeah, people have all kinds of theories on Severance.
Andre says, you saying that Shmoda match was nine years ago makes my whole bones hurt.
Why does time fly?
Yeah, bro.
Yeah, bro.
Sorry, Andre.
That was nine.
years ago that we were doing that we've all gone in such different directions i mean the shmone what was the
last i mean didn't the shmown like didn't it shut down five years ago wasn't it last schmodeau match
wasn't it uh dan and sam going at it uh the movie trivia smote league ended in 22 so the last
match was likely final match soon to which featured macuggo versus riley i don't think that's correct right
uh yeah the end of the smodown was october first of
of 2022. Yeah, that's what it was.
There. So, yeah, that was
three years ago, y'all, three years
ago. So, yeah, feel old, get old.
Hollywood rules says geek buddies is must-view
appointment television. Thank you, Hollywood. Yeah, I'm very proud
of that show. We, me and my two friends from, we've grown up
since the 90s at Florida State, and Michael Vogel is
a animation writer and showrunner. He's been
executive producer of Myel Little Pony film.
and written quite a few episodes of My Little Pony as well,
the most recent version.
And he does a lot with animation.
He was a showrunner for spectacular Spider-Man,
the one with Josh Keaton voice and Spider-Man.
So he's been in the boardrooms.
He gives a unique perspective.
He's not just a talking head,
pundit like most of us are on the outside.
He's been in those boardrooms.
He's been in those meetings.
He's had those conversations.
He brings a unique perspective to how we look at things from the outside.
and Shannon is an actor and voiceover, a performer, and writer of animation stuff as well,
and writing feature film scripts that he enjoys.
So, like, we all have different things we bring to the table,
and we work together as old friends, and we work together as people who comment on the industry.
So I highly recommend you all checking out geek buddies there on my channel,
because this is a show I'm very, very proud of that, and the Hot Mike and Jedi Way,
very proud of these shows.
Thank you, bud.
Darren Wright says, I saw John Train for me.
matches. I know how serious he took the schmod on. Yeah, Darren, you did. You did fly in to see
me live and in person. So yeah, you're right. And you saw me during the, when you were on the
Patreon, how much I trained for the matches. Hours I would train with my patrons for the matches.
I wish I could have done better in my final season and gotten that victory over Dan at the end.
But, you know, these are things in life sometimes. You can't get what you want. And the fact
that Dan got TKO the next year showed that if you're not in the rhythm of the game, you can get
wiped out real easy. You know, the game was something that was very serious. And I hadn't done a
match in months. And I went in there and Dan wiped the floor with me who had been consistently doing
matches, you know, and then the reverse happened the year afterwards when Sam wiped the four
with Matt, with Dan, because Sam had been doing matches and Dan had been kind of away from it. So
that's the game, man. It's the game. I still hope one day we can do a triple threat with me, Sam,
and Dan down the road. But I know Bibiani would be upset if we didn't include.
him so maybe bibs down the road and Ethan I guess so it would have to be a five way right and yeah and maybe and of course
uh uh marissa I think marissa would have to be involved I think too unheard sirens incorporated remy says
john totally disagree about the Ceno promo it was pure cinema keep in mind seen attorney hill
never would have happened 10 years ago under Vince yes but that doesn't mean it should happen
now and then it was good now because there's all the things these complaints
about are not happening now.
They happened 10 years ago.
So just because it didn't happen under Vince doesn't mean it should happen now because
the situation is not the same as it was 10 years ago.
Sina sucks now is done out of affection.
Just like Kurt Angles thing when he comes out,
Kurt Angle sucks the same thing.
It's all done out of affection for these and nostalgic affection for these wrestlers.
And so it's not.
So all the stuff he was talking about last night was stuff from 10 years ago.
So to me it wasn't cinema.
To me it was, well, how can I say this?
It was cinema if you have an actor come back to play a role
that he is too old to play anymore
and still grasping on to having played the role years ago.
It just wouldn't have the same kind of resonance.
And that's what it feels like to me when I watch the scene and stuff.
But again, you have ever right to your opinion,
if it worked for you, shout out to you if you thought it was pure.
cinema. I'm not going to argue. You liked it. You enjoyed it. You thought it was pure cinema. And as I said, the crowd was into it. And so I may not have liked the promo, but the crowd itself was just responding to it in massive ways, creating their own chance, going back and forth with Cina. So he had the crowd in the palm of his hand. So it was an effective promo if it wasn't, even though it wasn't maybe my favorite promo from him. And I like Cina's promos for the most part.
Hollywood Rules says, have you watched
Bad Monkey on Apple TV
with Vince Vaughn? Yes, I have. I loved
Bad Monkey. That was an
very enjoyable watch. I'm glad they've
Greenlit a season two. I thought Vince
was great on the show. Michelle Mahoneyhanah
was great on the show
as well.
I think Lashauna Lynch was on the show
and what happened with her.
But yeah, I really
enjoyed that show. If you guys are
looking for a new show to get into,
bad monkey is really good.
And it's not just Vince Vaughn being Vince Vaughn.
There's a lot more going on here in the show that I think is great to watch.
And certainly having that dude from S&L being kind of a side antagonist throughout the whole season was great as well.
Darren Rises, we'll love you to react to that video you did to announce your channel to see how you feel you've got to where you are now.
Oh, my God.
Wait, a reaction to my, what was that, a 31 minute?
I don't even know how long that, yeah, that first video was.
I mean, it's not a bad idea, actually, Darren.
It could be fun to kind of, because I was the champion.
I had the belt on, the Shmona belt on.
So, yeah, it could be interesting to see me reacting to all the stuff that I said back then.
Yeah, I don't know.
Could be fun.
Maybe, maybe for the patrons, maybe for the patrons.
of my channels.
I have a Patreon.
Patreon.com slash John Roga.
If anybody wants to support what we're doing there on the Outlaw Nation.
GoPowell says,
I had Metroplex and Blaster as a kid,
and I thought they were awesome,
but hated that Blaster didn't come with any cassettes.
Yeah, good point.
Yeah, that was the one thing they didn't give you extra
in the Blaster situation.
That's great that you had Metroplex and Blaster.
That's awesome.
GoPal also asked,
did you watch Centurians back in the day?
I don't remember watching
centurion so i might have watched it but i don't remember it centurians let me see
oh no i do remember this one yeah oh yeah centurians right right right yeah i do remember
centurians i probably watched it in passing but it wasn't one that kind of hooked me
so yeah it could be fun to watch again uh to see
uh if i enjoy if i remember anything about it but yeah great reference bud centurions oh my god uh captain penis
hello he says what did you do if what would what'd you do if the new york hat logos got slapped off
your boy my man you got to you got too you got too excited didn't know what'd you do if the new york
had legot slapped off your head i mean come on guys too a little bit better uh what would i think
is trying to say what would I do if the New York Yankees logo slapped off my head?
Well, I'd probably break your hands, sadly.
Because, I mean, everyone's allowed to like who they like.
Everyone's allowed to cheer for who they want to cheer for.
I've grown up a Yankees fan since I was 10 years old,
and I was a fan of the Yankees when they sucked in the 1980s.
That's when I became a fan of the 80s with Dave Winfield
and all the Willie Randolph and all the issues that were going on behind the scenes.
So I'm no Homer.
I'm no guy who just, you know, kind of found them when they were winning
with Derek Jeter. I've been a fan of the Yankees
since I was 9 or 10 years
old. So that was the, those were the days.
So when we had
all the success in the 90s,
I earned my enjoyment
of that success and
what happened. Because we didn't have baseball in
D.C. when I was growing up, it didn't come
until much, much later, or it didn't come back
until much, much later.
So I didn't have anybody to cheer for it. I was not going to
cheer for the Baltimore
Orioles. That was never going to happen.
D.C. and Baltimore, that ain't
that ain't some kind of like, oh yeah, definitely just cheer for them.
You know, ask Ravens fans how much they cheer for the commanders.
They don't.
So it's just like it's a different situation.
I was never going to cheer for them.
So yeah.
But you more than, but tell you what, if you see me in public, come and try to slap the
NY off my head and see what happens.
And as long as you say, hey, you know what?
Whatever happens, I will take the responsibility and I will not go to the police.
Then yes, please try to slap the logo off my head.
Met Bowles says, what's happening with wrestling fans that everything is the goat heel
Turner code promo. You're completely right. Premise was nonsensical in 2025. Yes, exactly. Exactly.
Well, you know, everything is goats nowadays. Everything is either great or terrible.
And unfortunately, that's the way it is with most of fandom. Of course, the short,
fan is short for fanatical. But that's the way they look at it. Everything is either
100% great or 100% terrible. So it's just the way it goes now, which is why I like to
break things down in sections and look at them much more in parts.
and then put the parts together to talk about the whole.
And although I enjoyed the fact that the audience was so into it,
I enjoyed most of Cody's promo.
I understood John's reasoning,
even though it was 10 years too late.
It still was effective what they were trying to do,
but I don't know if it 100% will land with a lot of people.
Because I saw people on social media are pretty much split about the promo,
and that's not what you want.
You want universal enjoyment of the promo.
So it is what it is.
But thank you, Metpole.
appreciate you sending in your super chat.
We got another one here from GoPow.
That's almost as funny as a minute's applause for QE2 at Celtic with the crowd chanting.
If you hate the royal family, clap your hands over Queen Elizabeth.
Right, right, right.
Yeah, yeah, I don't, you know, that's internal politics on, in sections of the UK and outside the UK that I don't know too much of the nuance on overall.
So with Celtic, I imagine it's the Irish connection.
Oh, Scottish connection, I guess,
and the feelings of that with hating the royal family.
So there's history, obviously, between Scotland and England,
as we glimpsed in Braveheart,
but if you do the research, it's much more deeper with centuries-long issues.
There's something with Ireland, centuries-long issues between Ireland and England.
A great point, co-pal, in the connective tissue there.
Darren Wright says, Cody and Cina announced for Raw and Scotland on Monday.
Okay, so maybe they'll have a back-and-forth in Scotland.
Scotland on, oh my God, what I love to fly into Scotland to see a raw and Cody and Cina going at it, you know.
So that would be a lot of fun to see overall.
So maybe those maybe I heard rumors that Cina was going to show up on Smackdown this week.
So we'll see.
Nathan Stozes, what do you think about the end of the New York Yankees facial hair policy?
Well, I'm glad they loosen it up a little bit so people can express themselves a little bit.
I think it's great.
What's the issue there?
If you want to talk your talk and be yourself,
you should be allowed to express yourself
of it. I'm glad the Yankees are loosening that up.
It has nothing to do with your skills as a player.
So it's just about branding and they wanted everybody clean cut.
They made Johnny Damon, Johnny D.
shave his head or cut off his mullet there
that he had when he was with the Red Sox.
So it's the game.
But I like that they've loosened it up.
Simon's action. What's up Simon?
This is John. How about Jace and the weekend
and the wheeled warriors?
Star Wars meets Mad Max with a touch of swamps swamp thing.
Christian doesn't know there's a power that runs way deep inside you.
It's a cartoon.
Oh, okay.
I have never heard of J.C. and the Wheeled Warriors.
I don't think.
Jaycee and the Wild Warriors.
What an interesting reference here.
Hold on.
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.
Oh, here we go.
And the wheel animated too.
Oh, I do remember the White Street down the hand.
Hey, oh yeah, totally remember this one.
I don't know if I watched, I don't get myself sure, I don't know if I watched any of these,
but I do remember seeing like the, the thumbnails for this in the TV guide or, you know,
maybe flipping channels and catching the opening and the, in the, uh, theme.
But I don't think I watch Jason the wheeled warriors at all.
Yeah, it only ran for one season, uh, here in the States.
A young man leads a small band in search of his father
while fighting the forces of Sawbos using the various vehicles they carry with them.
Yeah, it looks like it only ran for one season, 36 episodes, one season,
36 episodes, wow, those were days.
But good reviews, seven and a half stars on pretty much all the episodes.
So clearly a lot of people liked it, but for whatever reason,
it didn't come back for multiple seasons.
So, yeah.
Go Pal, what's up?
Go Pal says, the Andre the Giant Stories,
about a quote, drunken giant was a happy giant are amazing.
Yeah, those Andre the Giant stories that you hear about are just crazy with the stuff he did.
I remember the one they tell him, and Hogan tells in the documentary that's on HBO Max
where he says like the bathrooms in Japan were so small that Andre couldn't take a crap in those
bathrooms.
So he would have to lay out newspaper on the bed and he would have to take a crap on the bed.
and he would have to take
a crap on the bed
on the newspaper.
I don't know how he physically did that.
It seems insane to me,
but he would sometimes call Hogan down
to look at the amount of crap
he just deposited on the newspaper on his bed,
which is, man, that's a level of man
hanging out that I never want to get to
and never want to have in my life.
So that's a wrestler's thing for sure
because they put each other through some
crazy stuff overall there as Westerns.
All right, that's the last super chat.
Thank you all so much for hanging out tonight.
Today I should wrap it up here.
We're about five minutes away from two hours, so I should get on out of here.
41 super chat.
It's not 61, but at least we got to 41.
So thank you all so much for sending in your support.
Your love for me sitting in for Christian Harlov today on the Christian Harlov show on the
Christian Harlov channel.
Can I say you that more?
Can I say his name more often than more times there in that sentence?
I appreciate it madly.
Please remember my channel,
YouTube.com slash John Roka says,
head on over there.
I guarantee you there's some fun content
for whatever you're into.
The geek buddies are great.
They're always taking the piss out of me.
And then the hot mic,
Jeff and I are always having fun agreeing
or battling on these topics.
The Jedi Way is a nice,
relaxed exploration of Star Wars.
We just did a recent episode with me
and Kevin Smets exploring all the recent comments
for Tony Gilroy for Andor Season 2.
Also the Underworld series
and talk about Wado
and that cameo of George Lucas
Laura Kelly usually joins us, but she couldn't make the show because she was dealing with some minor surgery.
But usually there's the three of us doing the Jedi Way.
Then, of course, my stuff doing my reactions and my reviews that are there on the channel as well for you all to enjoy.
So that's everything going on in the world of the Outlaw Nation.
Head on over there, YouTube.com slash John Roka says shorts are coming, reels are coming.
All that stuff's coming here from me on the channel.
You can also follow me at the Rokaz on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Blue Sky.
And thanks again, everybody for hanging out today.
Appreciate it madly.
I'm sure Christian will be back tomorrow for new shows for the rest of the week.
I look for Cape Secalis on Friday.
And I think Stefan might come back tomorrow.
And I don't know what he does on Thursdays,
but that's the channel with all this stuff.
So I'll leave you with this before I go.
But take care.
Have a great time.
Love you.
Have a great rest of your day.
Go see a movie if you can.
And look for my out-of-theater reaction for Snow White,
dropping on my channel tonight if I stay for the screening.
and I'll talk to you next time with another brand new episode of the Krishna Arloff show.
Take care.
Until then.
Master!
