Episode Date: May 1, 2025🦸♂️ James Gunn Calls Superman A Square?! 🦸♂️ On today's episode of The Kristian Harloff Show, we're diving into James Gunn's latest comments about Superman and why he proudly calls... the Man of Steel — and star David Corenswet — a "square." But what exactly does that mean? And how does it signal a return to the more classic, sincere version of Superman we haven't seen since the days of Christopher Reeve? Gunn discusses what drew him to Corenswet for the role, citing the actor's "playful charm" and old-school sensibilities, including his love for Dean Martin and Cole Porter. We also break down new behind-the-scenes details about Mr. Terrific, played by Edi Gathegi, and what his expanded role in the upcoming Superman (2025) film could mean for the DC Universe. Andor season two is heating up.
We are now through episodes four, five, and six.
We are going to go and give a full spoiler discussion,
just like we did with the first three.
Mike Hellenowski was so excited to do this.
He had to move his schedule around.
He wanted to talk about it.
It's the first thing he's been excited about for a long time,
so we're excited to discuss that.
There's some Superman news, James Gunn,
talking about why David, David Corencewet,
his name, right?
So, sure.
That's why he's perfect for the role itself.
Thunderbolts is right around the corner.
Comes out, I mean, pretty much tonight.
A lot of talk on that.
And we have so many different stories we're going to get into today.
It's myself, Steph, and Mike can step and Mike defeat Roxy.
That's going to be it.
It does seem like it's a Roxy versus Steph battle these days.
And Mike likes to tag along, which is fine.
I understand.
Let's get into it.
It's myself.
Mike Kalan,
Steph Sabraugh on the show.
Here we go.
Welcome back to the show, everybody.
It is the Christian Harlov show here today on a Thursday.
The team has been assembled, and it is.
Steph Sabraa.
Hello, Steph.
Hello.
Hello.
Hello.
Mike Kalanowski.
Hello.
So, how are you?
Hello.
And.
So stupid.
Oh, my God.
Like, to be used as the scariest character.
in that movie.
Just because
Yeah.
So this is really good.
Does someone make that?
That's awesome.
Nozette made that for me.
And he sent that to me over Twitter.
That was pretty great.
I might actually use that as the thumbnail for the,
I'm going to clip that out, put that in there.
It was so good.
It was so good.
Anyway, Mike, you know, you're back here again to try to beat Roxy.
This is my daily thing.
And I even said, I was like, hey, can I do Tuesday next week?
my schedule.
Right.
I was like,
you know what?
I got to be there Thursday.
Talking and or.
Yeah.
So I'm going to make it work.
Okay.
I appreciate that.
Well, the good news is,
always.
The good news is that you guys do pretty well together.
Bad news is you're going up against Roxy.
Want to take a guess, Mike, what the total is right now?
All right.
Let's see.
Last week,
last week she was low.
Yeah.
It was low last week.
Yeah.
I'm going to say he closed out with,
103.
Okay, Steph, you got to guess?
That's funny. I was thinking
130.
Is that what you're going to go with?
Yeah.
Step is closer.
151 is the total.
151 rum.
Is that chick back?
Was it in Crystal? Was she back?
Christ.
Eric was throwing in, too.
So you guys.
Derek. Yep. So there you go.
Jump a ship. Derek.
Come on, man. He helps out everybody.
So anyway, so that's what we're going to discuss
today on the show. It's Andor,
So we're going to start with and or spoilers.
We're going to start with and or spoilers.
And if you guys weren't already subscribe to the Clips channel,
you should because you might be watching this on the Clips channel
because we're going to do a full spoiler discussion on the episode.
So I really want you to make sure you've seen these.
You can come back if you haven't seen Andor,
and maybe you don't give a crap.
So you're just going to stick around and see what we talked about anyway.
So I'm starting right away.
I'm starting off hot.
And we're going to start with this conversation about recasting.
because we found that out. If you're watching for the first time,
you found out that Bail Argana was indeed cast,
recast. It's Benjamin Brett.
With the second season of Andor,
it is now avoiding fan service cameos,
where it doesn't mean the series is an entirely issuing characters
that aren't part of a greater Star Wars lore.
The second arc of the new season sees a familiar character return.
And that is Bell Argana with a different face.
Benjamin Brad takes over the role.
of the character, famously played by Jimmy Smith's
in the prequel films in the Obi-Wan series
and in Rogue One Star Wars story.
Smith is still very much acting these days.
He'll be seen with a short cameo in Dexter Resurrection.
So on the surface, it's not clear why he didn't return here.
Speaking with EW, Tony Gilroy said that they actively tried to get him back.
He said, we couldn't work it out.
The scheduling didn't work out.
We really tried hard, but he wasn't available and couldn't make it.
Kathleen Kennedy had the idea for Benjamin.
It was just a brilliant idea.
He's a wonderful human being and really eager and beloved on set
and really happy about what he does.
Raganah is introduced in the sixth episode ahead of a larger work in upcoming arcs.
He already discussed why that was done.
He said it's one of those situations where I wanted to do something simple.
We don't want to do many things that are unnecessary.
But it's like, let's get him in here now so people can discuss it for a week,
get it out of their system, and then he can come back to really work.
I don't want the guy's work to be confused with the introduction.
This shows why Tony Gilroy is very, very smart.
This is the absolute right way to do it,
Because when I didn't know that it was coming, the recast, right?
So when he popped up, I go, oh, I guess they recast bail.
I like Benjamin Bratt.
And I'll tell you, if you look at it over, yes, for continuity.
And because you had Jimmy Smith's play bail in the Obi-Wan series,
which is significantly, I don't know, it's actually earlier than this.
And he still looked older.
But Benjamin Bratt kind of looks more.
in the age range that bail would be at that point.
And I thought he did a really good job.
And I think he continues to do a good job.
And yes,
I would like to see Jimmy Smith's back for continuity and because I like Jimmy
Smith's,
but it didn't bother me overall.
Steph,
did it bother you at all?
Not in the slightest.
And that's not like a dig or anything.
It just,
I thought it was really well done.
And I think they picked the perfect person.
I don't know.
It is one of those things that Benjamin Bratt is just like,
like oh i like that guy and so i was like i was excited to see him and then i could like what was
happening and i thought it was pretty seamless love benjamin brat extremely jealous of him but
but absolutely absolutely a fan you know i'm jealous classic
much a classic um mike go ahead i hated it it took me out of the show completely liar
so i don't even miss it anymore i don't watch the show anymore i didn't even care like i don't care
Like it didn't even, yeah, things happen.
And again, I think, I mean, they film in England.
So that's also probably a big, big reason why scheduling and stuff couldn't happen.
It wasn't like you could pop down to Manhattan Beach and jump into the show.
And then jump back to next door.
That's a good point.
Yeah.
So then jump into kind of what you think.
Would you like one, two, and three.
Okay.
Can we, are we talking?
Go ahead.
I, again, wholeheartedly agree.
I think they knew exactly what they were doing by doing three at the same.
time because I'll be honest, I think the acting is phenomenal, some of the best we've seen in
Star Wars, but four and five, I was kind of bored.
Wow.
I just, I mean, I know they're built.
It's weird because I now see what they're doing.
The first episode of the arc, you've got to reestablish the one-year jump and where everyone
is.
So you're spending a whole episode on that.
Episode, the middle one, sets up what three is going to be.
And then three is the payoff.
So it's that first one where we're like,
all right, where are we going?
We got to reset back to one.
Where's everyone do?
We're okay, they're not spelling it out for us.
So I don't know.
I felt, again, the acting is great.
The characters are great.
This is Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy in Star Wars,
but I also need some Star Wars in my Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy.
And those first two episodes, I'm like, I mean,
I think it was the beginning of the third one where I was like,
oh, the spaceship, Hyperdrive.
You're talking on a ship.
Here we go.
Why don't I keep doing that?
What did you think of the third episode?
Did you think it was great with a big payoff?
The sixth episode.
I thought it was not nearly as good to pay off as episode three.
Okay.
It was like, okay, a little heist.
But again, there was more the machinations of everyone backstabbing and what's going to happen
as opposed to just two people talking in a room, which felt more four and five.
Yeah, I'm on the opposite side of that.
because I just thought it was,
four was like one of my favorite episodes of the entire season so far.
Well,
that's because you're an idiot.
Yeah,
that makes sense.
The smarter dialogue driven one is because I'm an idiot.
The guy who can't even pay attention to two people talking.
So the conversation alone,
what I thought works step was that it really is to me in these first six episodes
that Bix is almost the start of the show for,
or her arc in general is what is the most,
well, damaging,
obviously,
but most you're looking at what she's going through and those dreams that she's having
and the ultimate payoff that you get and that buildup because I was shocked I was like oh wait
I couldn't tell it first it was a dream at the end what she was doing and then when she finally
takes the guy out he doesn't even really remember her and all is all is happening inside of her head
is this guy torturing her and then he and or pops up out of nowhere and they blow the place up
I was so excited by that right where do you stand on it are you more on the page with me
or you're on the page with Mike here.
Oh, I'm totally on the page with you.
I don't understand Mike right now.
But I feel like those are fair assessments.
When I watched it, I thought, you know what?
I could see why this might not necessarily tickle everyone's fancies.
But for me, it is exactly what I'm looking for in a TV show and a Star Wars show,
especially the relevance that it is showing today with what we're currently living, the world
that we're living in is scary, but all.
So there's hope in that too.
And I just, I thought the overall, the three arcs and the, the streamline of the show is that in these uncomfortable moments of a revolution of a rebellion, we're all going to have to play a part.
And it is uncomfortable.
And we're not, we're not promised the rest of our lives, especially with our main characters.
But we have these moments with one another.
So even though I was devastated with one of the, with Sinta, it was so awesome to have that moment between them.
And then you thought about that moment.
The moment between Bix and Cassie and two was like the most romantic moment I've ever seen in Star Wars.
I was like at the edge of my seat just like so gushing over them.
And then for them to be like gangster at the end and doing what Bix needed to do to hopefully start, you know,
making a healing path for herself.
I thought that that was really, really, it was just, I loved it.
Yeah, it's true.
It's I, I just, I don't get, I don't get boring.
I'll get slow.
I understand that slow burn.
Yeah, I think it's the same way that last year, like, I would see Mike and I saw
some of the comments say it.
I don't understand what you guys want.
Pugh, Poo, zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom.
So you can't dismiss that because I love season one and I know, and I love one, two, and
three.
But this was just one.
This was such a cold up.
Okay.
So you're telling, you're telling me,
They would have released a long point,
and you're going to have another long point in a second.
But the other thing is that you're right.
There is a spy element to this and the setup of like building up to fix this addiction
and then leading the fact what she says to him is like,
this is bigger than the both of us.
And he realizes that he's got to go and he's got to now infiltrate.
And he realizes at the end because of her,
he realizes I'm not going to do this.
And he takes off.
He does it.
And he's not part of it.
But the way that he's,
infiltrates to let us see what's happening on that planet and the shit that's going down with cyril
and i guess maybe it's also because i know where it's going right and i know that the lead
of how you need what you just saw for the four five and six to really make everything else that
happens later on be relevant because it's a it's a 12 episode movie right but also they knew exactly
what they were doing by giving people like you all 12 episodes right they knew because if they had just
released two or three, the talk would be vastly different right now.
So I'm coming off of an episode like in season one of Andor.
They're just sitting in a prison with Andy Circus and I'm invested to whole Harley.
So but these characters in that, especially four, I watch the show late at night, usually
around 10 o'clock at night.
I'm on my couch.
So I'm nodding off a little bit.
Like until it like, and again, I love spy movies, but I'll take a mission impossible over
Tinker Taylor, Soldier Spy any day.
even though they're the same exact type of movie.
You like boom, boom, boom, run.
Yeah, that's why I thought you were going to like it because of that.
I really like that they kind of invested moments in the spy world that we're in
because that is Cassian's thing.
He is our rebel spy, which we don't get as much of that.
I love the fact where he was like, well, they make a kind of joke.
Like, who are you today?
I was like, I was so and so and so and so.
Like that type of stuff I love, but there was just,
It just, you know, I think one, two, and three were better for me than four, five, and six.
Okay.
I think we're all going to be on the same page next week, the seven, eight, nine.
I can't even, even people who are saying that they were bored.
And again, even though I'm bored, and I'm not bored.
I love the acting.
Best act we've ever seen in Star Wars, I think.
Right.
I still think this is leaps bounds better than any of the shows out there.
But it's such a high bar that when it does dip a little for me, I'm kind of like, I'm a little disappointed.
50% busting your balls, 50% serious with you.
But I think that we all agree that it's just the best written stuff, hands down.
I mean, it's so.
I have no problem saying that.
It's so smart.
And it's like when you look at it, like the tension, this show is going to be nominated for Emmys for writing.
It definitely will be.
There's no day.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I just, it's just such a unique telling of the really important stuff that makes up the moments that matter in the world.
that we live in, especially in a Star Wars-like world where a lot of us are accustomed to just
thinking that there's this huge explosion and then good prevails over evil. But just to marinate in these
little evil plans to have, you know, a mistake within a rebellion movement and just waiting
for that to happen to jump on it, for having these plans to just eliminate a whole people so
casually in a boardroom before a lunch.
All of that is what happens when you dehumanize people in order to achieve your master
plan.
And that really does it for me as the show.
Like that's why I don't find it boring or necessarily slow because I'm like,
that is so much.
I know it's not at this normal pace we're used to.
But to me,
I'm like, wow,
I haven't seen a show been able to.
really look at the details of that and make it into something interesting and that
I care about. Yeah. And that's what overall is, I mean, that's on a documentary.
No, right. And you see, and the stuff that's going on with Luthin and or where, because Luton's still,
like, I love the way little things with Luton is that he doesn't get emotionally attached to anyone.
Everything is a piece of his game, but his game is, it's not done for like, it's done for the
better of the galaxy, but he will go all lengths to make sure that it happens, right? And
anybody can be sacrificed. Anybody can be a piece of the puzzle because the puzzle is just so big.
You know, and I love that about him. And even when he's, like, you know, he walks in and he knows
exactly what he's doing when he goes to talk to Bix. He knows what he's doing when he's talking
to Andrew. He just, he's got it scheduled in knowing what's going on, but he's also still,
and stuff he's doing with Kayla
Kayla, Kela? That's, or Clea,
Clea. And conversations he has with
Clea. He's just one of the most intricate characters
on the whole show. But what are you, what are you thinking
about Luth in this season so far, Mike?
Cool. Yeah.
You're muted. Oh, don't
say it. Damn it.
Shut up.
Just kick me in the dick day, isn't it? You kick me in the nuts.
All right, fine. Go ahead, please.
No, I think he's great. I think he's, you know,
well like it's it's interesting this is the I think that my favorite scene was him and him and uh andor
when he comes to his on the shop oh on the shop oh that was a good good that was good yeah I think that's my
favorite scene just because of how they both believe in what they're doing but they're vastly
different and their um pursuits of it and what what it takes like I think andor's all in but
he still believes that you know I think step you say like he'll luthan will sacrifice any
anyone, but and or won't, because if you do, you lose what you're fighting for.
If you're going to sacrifice everyone, then what are you fighting for?
I mean, there's a dichotomy.
There's a yes and a note of that, right?
Because the thing is with Luton is that he knows what it takes to beat the empire.
He knows what it takes to do it.
So like he's, he's really going all lengths in order to do it.
And you're right, though, Mike.
Like at what cost is he doing it?
And what is he losing in the process?
you know, I just thought of something, and you'll know more than me now that you know all 12 of them.
It doesn't, I don't know how I feel about Andor's relationship with gin now.
Right.
Because they do kind of had that romantic thing at the very end where they're together.
Right.
And I'm kind of like, and they're, I don't know.
It'll play out.
And so hopefully we'll see a little more.
Yeah, I wish I could speak about more.
But we can discuss it.
But what are your thoughts on Luthan so far, Steph?
Oh, I love Luton.
I think that he is so the person that I would hate,
but you need in a real life rebellion.
And he's a necessary character because it's the,
that's the person you need to move and organize.
But it's ruthless and it's not pretty.
And, but I'm more on the side of Cassian.
Like, I feel like I totally.
get the need to sacrifice a lot, your daily comforts,
you know, your home, most of your family,
but the one person that you're spending your days with,
I get that as a non-negotiable.
Like this is the kind of thing drives me nuts,
but it also plays into Mike's point,
the fact that I've seen the show,
I know kind of like in general the whole thing.
Like comments like this,
what is even Luton's backstory,
does anybody know where it's just an excuse?
And he says,
we just assume Luton knows what he's doing.
And I doubt that Josiah is really laughing his ass off.
people overuse that all the time. Are you really laughing your ass off while you write that?
I highly doubt. But watch the show. Watch the full thing. I think that it's impossible to go,
well, we don't even know what he's doing. We don't even know. Have you got to watch the whole thing.
And then at the end of season two, if nothing happened and you don't know anything about Luton,
then write that. But like, that's the thing people do sometimes. It's like they don't, it's like automatically let the show marinate.
Yeah, I don't feel, I don't feel I need that.
Like, you know, I mean, look at the way it got picked apart with Dejra saying she was in the orphanage.
And then it was like, well, the empire didn't exist back then.
It didn't matter to me.
I don't care.
It still was a great character moment, you know, or she could be lying.
Who knows?
Who knows?
Wait, Mike, you didn't watch.
What?
You didn't watch Clone Wars, did you?
No.
Okay, I have a question for you.
Does the Saw Guerrera character is, is he, do you get him?
Oh, he was in Rogue One.
I kind of understand what he is.
Yeah.
I don't understand the whole getting high off the thing and that whole burning your lungs
thing.
I'm like,
well,
like,
okay,
so that to me when we,
was Wilhelm Wilhelm Wilman,
Wilman?
Yeah,
but remember in Rogue One when he's got all those,
the apparatus and everything?
You,
roommate.
Yeah.
Don't cut it.
The poor gallant.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like he doesn't,
like,
the whole Wilman,
Willman,
where he's on that planet and,
why he's there.
I don't know if that was clear enough for me.
I love that moment though.
That wasn't clear to me either.
Okay, because he's like,
last time we saw him,
they were escaping together.
Next thing later,
he's on this thing,
building pipes.
I'm assuming he's doing something
to help the resistance.
Yeah.
But then that line was like,
you'll be here till I'm done with you.
Like,
oh, right.
Right.
But I,
well, especially after the Empire Trader was in there.
That was great.
That I didn't see coming.
No, not at all.
Just when he blasted that dude,
I was like, whoa.
Yeah, just so, so, so, yeah.
And then I think it was the first time ever that he kind of mentioned his sister.
He mentioned his sister.
And that's from obviously the Clone Wars.
Right.
But they did mention it.
But I am very curious to see what's going to happen with the audience reaction for the next three.
Because like I told everybody, the third arc is my favorite arc out of all of them.
And then probably would say that the last three are my second favorite, then these.
and then the first arc.
But we'll see what you guys think.
Any other thoughts?
Oh, it's about Mon Mothma?
She got a lot going on too.
She does.
She is so good.
Yeah.
I love the costume design for her especially is so good,
especially knowing where she's going to go.
So that opulence in comparison is really impactful.
But it's interesting to see,
because I thought for the first time,
it was more so her husband was trying to connect with her.
for the first time, even though he's usually just such a D-bag,
but she is so now disconnected.
Oh, and I loved the Senate room.
That was so great.
Yes, that looked amazing.
That was the other thing, Mike.
So even though you maybe necessarily didn't like these as much as the first three,
your question of, or the member I was telling you,
you're going to start seeing a lot more aliens.
Aliens were all over the place.
All over.
They're everywhere.
There were tons of aliens running around all over the joint.
and it did.
There were a lot of things like tied in that the atmosphere,
whether you think there's a lot of dialogue and stuff too,
there was a lot more of Star Wars feeling than anything else.
Oh, I think production design-wise,
especially, it really stood out to me.
It was that scene where Andor went to that like cafe
and he knocked on the window and he needed like the coat.
I think it was in the middle one.
I think it was in five.
But just that production design,
wherever they shoot and however they build.
And I think from Andor,
they take a lot of existing architecture and add to it.
Just, it's so good.
Yeah.
I am also, I mean, everybody knows this is a very,
this is the show for adults.
I mean, this is not a kid show.
This is an adult show.
And I think this is why this is more so,
like there are certain people that are still,
like I think maybe it goes to prove when people go,
well, you're talking about a kid show and you talk about Star Wars.
And I think that people's heads are still,
because a lot of people discovered Star Wars as kids,
and still just fell in love with it forever.
But this is not that type of show.
This is,
this is an adult show.
And it is,
to me,
the smartest Star Wars written show.
It's definitely the best written.
It's television that they've done so far.
Like,
easily.
And there's not even a contest.
But that's it.
So.
Yeah, there's these lines.
Okay,
lastly,
talking about the right,
there's these lines that they write,
especially for the imperial officers,
which are so fun.
like it's like Shakespeare like they're so sassy but well written I should have wrote down some of
them but I did you guys have those moments too where you're like that was a really great line
I think that's the whole point of Crennick he just pops in being a D bag right right he's like
a highfalutin D bagness like that I'll that see okay so here we go you want to talk about a scene
that's talking that's not boring to me is the scene in the art gallery where they're going
from thing to thing but there's something happening behind
them that they can't like that to me is true
classic sky stuff that was awesome that's the stuff that I
want and yeah that was a great
was clear right that was a great yeah
but she was trying to turn that her hand up
and got her hand all bloody and stuff like I love that
that's the kind of stuff that I love that they do like they show you
it's like in it's okay show some blood
people forget and a new hope
even though maybe you know the idea of
a lightsaber slicing someone's arm off you wouldn't see the blood
but you did see the blood in that one remember
than in episode four, you see that alien arm on the floor and his blood coming out of it.
Like, I love that kind of stuff.
And it's like, okay, it makes it, it just makes it feel more real.
And that conversation with Lonnie and Clea and what they're, what they're doing inside of that scene and the pressure that's on at that moment, you're right, Mike.
It is, it is that scene.
You're like, that's a great scene.
Yeah, you're in the pressure cooker.

All right, that's the clips channel, and I'll type about Stitch Fix.
Hell yeah.
Look at this club music.
Let me see a dance here, Mike and stuff.
All right, let's talk about Stitch Fix.
I know shopping's hard.
I know it is.
I found a much better way to do it, though.
Stitch Fix, online personal styling.
makes it so easy. I'm not a shopping person. It doesn't matter. Even if I can figure out my
size, it just stores never seem to really have what I need in stock. Then I'm not a crowds person.
I'm not a alliance person. I don't know the time for it. Stitch fix. It gets you a stylist who
understands your style, understands the size, gets the budget. They do all the shopping for you.
So I just give my stylist the one that I have right now. I give them the size. I give the style.
I give the budget preferences. They order boxes when I want, how I want, no subscription required,
and he just sends me for pieces, pluses,
alpha recommendations, styling tips.
It's awesome.
I keep what works, and then I send back the rest.
It's very easy.
There's no stores.
There's no crowds.
There's no stress.
Just personalized looks that you're going to love.
Stitch Fix makes it all so easy.
And it looks like you know what you're doing, too.
If you're walking around, you go, hey, look at you.
You're in style.
I said, I know, right?
And then I give Stitchfix some problems.
Anyway, make style easy.
Get started today at stitchfix.com slash kh-h-S.
One more time, stitchfix.

Let's go. It's doable. It's doable. So let's get into this topic because the Thunderbolt is right around the corner. Steph, did you see the movie yet? No? No, not yet.
dying to.
Okay, Thunderbolts, box office, and this post
credits, I'm not going to have spoilers on post credits.
I just think that it's just take the long.
Marvel Studios Thunderbolts opens
this Friday in the U.S., but it has already been
rolling out international territories. It's set
for a solid debut. The box office
predictions have the film on track for $175
million worldwide, around 70,
75 domestic and 90 to 100
broad.
Should estimates go higher, the film will make
it back, we'll make back its 180 million
production budget by the end of Sunday.
Domestic pre-sails are just at 12 million beating
Shung-Chi, which opened to 75.3, and on part with
The Turnals, which opened to 71.2.
The film's Rotten Tomato score with critics has dropped to 89%
about on par with the first Dr. Strange, which is a huge improvement,
Captain America Brave New World, which is at 48%,
and the best score for the MCU film since No Way Home,
which is 93% back in 2021.
It helps that the film has the market to itself.
There's no real other newcomers until Final Destination Bloodlines on May 16th,
and then Mission Impossible, the final reckoning on May 23rd.
It's also been confirmed that the post-credit scene, the film clocks in at two minutes and 54 seconds,
which is the longest of any MCU film to date.
Sequences already leaked online, but it's very quickly taken down by Marvel.
Meanwhile, Sinners is still expected to farewell, and it's third week domestically,
which is expected to fall around 25 to 30 percent, 32 to 34 million.
Roadside Attractions is Surfer starring Nicholas Cage is headed for a million dollar.
Okay.
So we had been discussing this with Thunderbolts like kind of all week last week.
With the word of mouth, the mic, you usually, and you usually write about this, you know,
like the premiere comes out or the early, you know, influencer screenings come in as the best thing
that anyone's ever seen.
Yeah.
You said, I've got to wait to see what the critics are saying.
They can, more people that I'm listening to.
and it seems to me that those people are really digging this.
So what are your expectations kind of going into this movie now that you've asked your reviews?
I don't know.
I saw a couple.
Snyder had said something about it.
There's a couple.
What?
Snyder hates everything.
I know.
But then there was Scott Menzel, who I really like his reviews.
He did not care for it.
But I have seen a lot.
There was no other that big disparity between best thing ever to,
eh,
you know,
there we go,
that's perfect.
But it seems like it's a solidate from people.
So I'm excited.
I like these characters.
I always like the smaller scale stuff anyway.
So I'm seeing it tonight.
So we'll see.
How about yourself stuff?
So same thing.
You were already kind of psyched for it,
but now you're hearing a little bit more from the critics.
What are your thoughts on it?
Yeah,
it seemed like it was going to be pretty good.
I feel like there was a lot of pressure that Marvel was feeling.
And it feels like they're a studio that, you know,
it was in hindsight,
it's totally normal that they had an adjustment period
considering everything that was going on
in the entertainment industry and the entire world.
So I think that, but it will...
Perfect.
She stole your internet, Mike.
That never happens.
There's only a matter of...
Oh, there you go.
You're going to disappear again?
Let's see if she disappeared.
time before they got back on track and it.
Did I?
No one heard a thing you said.
She probably was again.
It was so fire.
But the good news is that you can throw your voice now,
which is pretty great.
It's like you'll say something and then it just kind of come.
You'll see your mouth move and then nothing comes out.
And then like three seconds later,
whatever you said just came out, which is awesome.
Still?
No.
Better now.
Okay.
Jeez.
Look at Mike.
Look at Mike.
All happy that's happening.
Oh my God.
Don't get too right.
That clip of Mike just back to like to do.
Do it again.
I'm going to play that when someone says something really stupid.
I'm just going to play that.
I'm just going to record that.
Anyway.
So I think that the movie itself will wind up doing better than expected.
I think it'll wind.
I mean, I think I'd said like 80 to 85.
I wouldn't be shocked if it hits the 90.
I would really be.
Domestic you're saying.
Yeah.
I would really be, I think Marvel would be in a great, like super happy if it cracks 100,
which will be tough.
It'll be tough to do.
We'll see.
Yep.
It's a formula.
So I feel like it's a great, great month, great start to summer movies early on.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Last May it was the farts as far as box off.
Yeah.
It's a good time to be a theater lover.
Yeah.
So right now, I mean, and then you've got final destination coming out.
Then you've got Mission Impossible.
So you got to end Lilo and Stitch.
So you've got something for everybody now kind of coming out because I was at the last.
thing my daughter my little one was like said to me the other day she was like um do i have anything i can see
in the movies i got to wait until until um leo and stitch it's the only thing you can take the kids to see
is leo and stitch that's funny but that's going to be a banger so huge because it's the only thing you can take
family um so i think that you're going to wind up having it's it really is and i told i said this
with rokey yesterday i'm curious you guys feel the same week one is is going to be big for
them but week two is everything we two is everything yeah yeah yeah i mean especially with marvel marvel
always hits big the first week and even cap hit big relatively it's always the second weekend
right the one yeah yeah yeah cap had that because the marvel fans that want to see the movie go and say
see it week one that's what happened with cap that's what happened to all these minutes what happened
the marbles the ones that want to see it see it it's week two where you've got to get everybody in there
going, oh, what's out right now?
I hear that Thunderbolts movie is pretty good.
That's what's going to have you.
You look at like, well, that's what I'm with, sinners.
Sinners had a 6% drop, which is crazy talk.
Yeah.
So, yeah, I mean, but Sinners is also, because of those crazy non-drops that it's having,
it could tear into Thunderbolts a little bit.
I mean, it might.
I mean, it sure could.
It could.
If you've got those people that are like, well, I don't go to the movies that often,
you know, budget or whatever.
It's like, well, Disney Plus of Marvel.
That's going to be there.
I don't know when Cinders is coming to digital.
So let's see that.
That's the ones that people are talking about.
Why, I think that Thunderbolts can do something, though,
that a lot of these moral movies can't,
if you can get people into the theater.
I think that you can get this kind of casual fans interested again
with this movie because it's a good story and good,
like it's actually,
if we're talking about with the end or it actually cares about the characters
and it's not just, oh, let's just do a singing planet now.
Why?
Because that's fun.
it's like this is more of like actually developing stories and characters so you could actually get people on board.
And I think that's a way to get them back into the theater.
Okay.
Yeah.
I don't know.
What do you guys make them all that as far as, oh, you know, I guess the last time we should talk about is the credit scene, right?
Because like I know what the credit scene is.
I think I understand.
I know why it needs to be as long as it was.
You think that's a good thing, bad thing that they're doing that long of a credit scene stuff?
It just depends on what it is.
Yeah, I think people will never complain if something's good.
So I don't think it's a big deal if it is good.
Yeah.
What do you think, Mike?
Yeah, if they're trying to, oh, I mean, you've only got this movie and then you've got
Doomsday, right?
That's it.
So you've got to set something up.
You've got to be putting, you know, so I think that's why they're doing it.
They're not throwing in Brett Feldstein as Hercules for no reason.
Right.
Right, that's a great, great point.
Yeah, like, it did feel after watching this movie, like the days of just kind of the random,
let's just throw everything against the wall and hope it sticks type Marvel phase is kind of coming to an end, hopefully.
It does seem.
Yeah, what was this?
Harry Styles in there one day is something.
I'm like, what he would doing?
Let's just do random characters.
We did it once with Guardians.
People said, well, that's what they did with Thunderbolts, random characters.
It's not really, though.
It's not really random characters.
Oh, we met all these characters.
Yeah.
They're more of the B-Squod type characters.
but they even play as much and they play that up inside of the movie.
But we know these characters.
I mean, and people are asking me what, and again, what I tell you is, I think,
Seth, have you ever seen the Black Widow movie?
Yeah.
Okay, because I would highly recommend either watching it again or, you know,
getting caught up on it because it is, it's the most important one to see.
Did you see the Falcon and Winter Soldier series?
Yeah.
Okay. So those are the ones because people are what about, you know, because Yelina shows up in Hawkeye, isn't that important? No, not really. The, those other two, though, they're pretty important. If Kevin Feike, tells you otherwise, he's lying like he did about Wanda Vision. Okay. No, I would assume you've got to see those two. You have to. All the characters are originated from those two films. You have to. And like, so you could go back and watch Ant Man for two for ghosts, but you don't really need to.
You don't really need to.
It's like, you know, Black Widow to me is the most important.
And it does emotionally serve as a sequel.
Not the storyline with Red Room and all that stuff,
but the story is people are going to go with the sequel to Black Widow.
I don't want to say.
I didn't love Black Widow.
I only was a great movie.
But the character stuff and the stuff with the family stuff
and the emotional stuff with what, Elena and, you know,
Alexi, is that his name?
I like Black Widow.
It's, I don't like that overall.
But it fits my thing.
I love in the Marvel universe, the spy stuff.
Well, the element of, again, with them being the KGB, the family aspect, the acting of it,
Doug it all, it was just what the actual mission was and the actual storyline,
through line of who they were trying to get, the Red Room stuff.
Yeah, that third act was, like, it was like, it was a different movie.
Right.
But it doesn't change the fact that you should probably watch it to feel a little bit more emotionally
attached with this one.
All right.
What do you think, guys?
What do you think is going to happen with Thunderbolts?
What do you think about the post credit scene?
Did you, this is the thing I want to see in the post, in the, in the comments here live.
I want to see the comments in the replay and I want to see the comments on the clips channel.
Were you not thinking about seeing this in the theater and now you're going to or at opposite?
I thought we had a member stream the other day.
And in the member stream, I was talking to Wicked Art who does our comic book for Capes and Cowls,
which members and patrons all have access to.
And I said, you know,
he and his family plan out what movies per year
that they're going to watch and go see in the theater.
And this was not on the list,
but now he's trying to get it on the list.
And I wonder how many conversations have been later.
Do you decide like, okay,
I wasn't going to go see this in the theater.
I was going to wait to streaming.
I pay for this.
I pay X amount of dollars to do with Disney every month.
But now I'm actually going to see this in the theater.
I'm curious.
How many people are going to have changed your mind and wants to see it in the theater?
Put your thoughts in there.
Let me know.
Let's switch up.
Let's go to DC.
And we talked that the big release, obviously, for Marvel, as we said before, was fantastic for.
But Superman is the big one.
And that hits first.
And James Gunn was talking about David Cornswet.
And this is from Dwork arises.
There are various attributes about Superman, but one of the most obvious is that the guy is a square.
He's honest.
old-fashioned, he's conventional, he's reliable, he's sincere, he's noble, he's
anything but hip or cool. It's a trait. The new Superman film director of James Gunn thought
was key to his take on the man of steel, one that moves away from Zach Snyder and Brian
Singer's interpretation of the character towards something a bit more like Christopher
Reeve used to play him as. In a new interview with ABC, he explained why he saw David
Cornswet as the right choice for very early in the casting process. Gunn had seen the actor
playing a very different kind of character in Ty West film Pearl, and
was immediately struck by how different the actual corns foot was.
He said, David was one of the very first auditions that I got.
Instantly, it was a relief because he had a playful charm about him that was not evident in Pearl.
He had a sense of humor.
That made me go, ooh, this might be a really good match.
Superman is a square, and David's a square.
He listens to American songbook like Dean Martin and Cole Porter,
but that's what he listens to on his iPad.
That's weird, but oh, so Superman.
Gunn has also shared a new look at Edie Gathke's Mr. Terrific in a behind-the-scenes,
in a behind-the-scenes photo he shared celebrating the anniversary of the character.
He says the character has long been one of my favorite characters, which is why he plays a big
part in the new film.
The film has been, the film has had both a teaser trailer and extended peak.
No actual trailer, as of yet, Gunn was asked about that and confirmed neither of the
clips released.
So far is the official trailer, which has yet to premiere.
It's expected shortly, but it's still not clear when exactly.
Superman is set to open July 11.
There's that picture, you see.
Let's see if we can open that up.
Nope.
So open that picture up and I'll play it.
I'll get a little more in the widescreen.
And here it is.
Let's see.
We have great.
It is James Gunn and Mr. Trifford right there.
So what do you guys think of the picture?
What do you think in general of the,
The Superman news, Mike.
I mean, it seems like just run up, not run of the mill.
Just another day of him talking about the movie that he loves making.
Like nothing he said is maybe go, huh, this might not be the right choice.
They might, this might be trouble.
Right.
Nothing.
He seems to me, and I see a lot of flack, like, oh, is this movie a superman movies
or is a James Gunn movie?
He's a director that's proud of his product.
So he's going to put his, he's going to be there supporting it.
Right.
I don't see the hate for that.
This,
this,
this,
this,
this,
this,
this, this,
this,
this,
he's happy and he's constantly posting pictures of himself
with the actors.
Like,
he loves,
I want a director that's going to love what he does.
There you go.
That's literally so,
the most psycho thing you've ever done,
Mike.
Oh,
you don't know.
You haven't seen anything yet.
I haven't seen a,
haven't seen a,
half of it.
But I just like when,
it's kind of like similar when Roxy did that clip that we have,
you have them like here and then you just,
you're the Joker.
All right.
Steph,
what do you make of all the comments?
What do you make of the picture?
I think I'm in,
there is a lot of people in my camp where we just like James Gunn.
So I don't, he does all the right things that I, I have no problem with passion.
I have no problem with loving what you're working on.
And then absolutely no problem with just being an absolute nerd, which he is.
And I like all, I like that.
It's like how cool it is.
If you guys care so much about Superman, you have someone who equally, if not more,
obsessed cares about Superman.
So I don't know what we're complaining about.
I love that he's like Superman's a square because that it's just like yeah this guy understand Superman is a square and I love that he saw that in David who's like aesthetically looks like a Ken doll but probably as like Henry Cavill similar like really loves nerd stuff outside of just being you know received as a gorgeous person yeah I'm I'm excited to see what he brings to it because everybody everybody talking when I talked to Frank Grillo and saying how much he just kind of
kind of embodied Superman and the character where they wanted to do.
And when they were talking about this discussion,
we were looking at him, like, this guy looks kind of perfect to play the role.
Now, we'll see how he actually does it.
It's right around the corner.
We'll see.
It is very important for this movie to do well, and we'll see if it will do just that.
So, all right, everybody out there, again, put your thoughts out there,
put your comments out there.
What do you think about the comments made by gun about David Cornswet,
about the fact that their approach
that they're doing with Superman and D,
what you think about the new picture of Mr. Terrific,
all that and more.
Yesterday, we talked about Liv Morgan,
and we talked about how there was this rumor
that there was a big superhero movie she was up for,
and someone said, maybe not.
It's like a big kind of,
maybe an Oscar-winning type thing.
And Roka said,
this could be endeavor with spin
about some role that she's got,
nothing too big.
Well, it's been revealed.
Live Morgan, the Hollywood role, has been revealed.
Is she joined the MCU?
Much has been said about the possibility of
Liv Morgan joining the MCU,
but now we have news on the project she'll star in
Neon's Bad Lieutenant Tokyo
from filmmaker Takashi Miki.
Speculation has been running rampant
about W.E. superstar
Liv Morgan's mysterious Hollywood role
with some social media scuba speculating
might be connected to the MCU.
There's been chatter about her playing Gwen Stacy
and brand new day.
various wrestling insiders claimed that the former champion had landed a major dramatic role in a prestigious project,
and deadline has now revealed what it is.
Morgan has been cast in Bad Lieutenant Tokyo from filmmaker Takashi Nike, 13 Assassins, Shogun Aguri Godzilla v. Kong and Lily James will also star in the U.S. Japan co-production.
According to the trade, Bad Lieutenant Tokyo will follow the Bad Lieutenant,
a corrupt gambler in the Metropolitan Police Force, who finds himself thrown into a tank.
case after an enigmatic FBI agent,
Lily James arrives in Tokyo, to investigate the disappearance of
his daughter that would be by Morgan.
Meanwhile, a deviant killer operates in the Yakuza underworld,
seeming to shadow their moves.
I hate saying this.
I hate it.
Roku is right.
He's right.
This is a beefed up thing to get Liv Morgan, you know, the press.
I'm and I said to him because he wrote me this morning to gloat and I said to him hold on a second hold on a second yes shut your mouths shut your mouths
stuff you love that so much that's we didn't get to it last week by the way because there's only hand debacle what were you laughing about to start that clip
I don't remember it's you too it's the way you act to each other I think you were doing something Christian
I don't remember.
Let's see if I still have an eye, I have the beginning of it.
If I can find it.
You were doing something.
I don't put in the beginning of it because I really, I wanted to ask you,
because I can't remember what was she laughing about.
Let's see what she was laughing about.
Hold on.
Those are like humans.
Every one of us are different.
Where is it?
We all have, you know, distinct features, eyes and a nose and two ears and a mouth.
Predators are like humans.
Every one of us are different.
there's we all have you know distinct features eyes and a nose and two ears and a mouth right so there's
going to be that but the stop step just stop you're usually my buddy just stop it i know what do you
stop you're usually my sidekick you christian did something what did you do i think it was just i didn't
pay attention to that what it was going on there i i think it was because i was trying to free it but i'm not
I can be beside you're like humans.
Because I'm trying to be.
Watch my face.
There's,
we all have,
you know,
distinct features eyes and
try to get it.
A nose and two ears and a mouth.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's going to be that.
But the roll.
Stop step.
Just stop.
You're usually my buddy.
Just stop it.
I hate you too.
I hate you too.
I hate you too.
So good.
No,
Mike.
No,
really, though.
I hope you know you've only gotten
funnier in your,
older years. It's like to the point where everything you say is kind of funny because you're.
Oh, so what am I that old funny guy? The old crotchy old funny bastard? Yeah. You can do know,
you've reached the like the mental age where I feel like you're, you can do and say whatever you want.
He's a grumpy old man.
What are you talking about?
I'll live Morgan. So anyway, Roka wrote me this morning. And he says, you know, I told you, this is not a big, big deal. And I said, look, it is a big deal of the fact that she's still starring in a movie outside of wrestling. She's trying to, she's younger. She's young. I don't think she's, I don't know if she's 30 years old. But she is trying to start a film career. It's a good, it's a good IP. She gets out there and we'll see. He's like, it's not a starring role. It's like, yeah, but it's better than walking down the aisle.
Yeah, but to support Roca, this sounds like Roman Reigns and Captain America 4.
It was a big nothing burger.
Like, you were, yeah, your part got cut, but you would have been just some henchman with some, and again, I'd kill for that role.
Right.
You're a Seth Rollins, but yes.
Yeah.
Yeah, but it's, well, Roman Raines, similar to your point, did that essentially in one of the, the Hobbs and Shaw movie, right?
So.
I couldn't even tell you who he was in those things.
Yeah, they mean it, they beat it up like it was a big starring role.
And we haven't seen the role.
We don't know what it is.
We don't know how much she does in the role itself.
But it's still for her, it's like, it's a start.
But Roker stuff kind of pretty much said that it's because now that Endeavor owns the
WWE and she's a client that they're they're using the PR machine to build up things.
But what do you think with this announcement?
Is this a big deal or, you know, where they just kind of hyping it up?
I don't know who she is, but I don't watch WWE.
So if she's like Sasha.
You would love her.
You would love her.
She would love Harley Quinn.
Who's the one in Mandalorian that we love?
Sasha Banks or Mercedes.
Mercedes.
There are people from the organization that I'm like, oh, hell yeah, that makes so much sense,
especially in a role that requires.
physicality. So I guess that's cool. I just haven't heard of her. So I'll have to get in the know.
You would love her. She you probably like her, but I think she'll be, she'd probably be a much
better actress than both Mercedes-Money and a lot of the other wrestlers that have come out.
Actually, it was a good call yesterday because we were talking about, we should have mentioned her
because we mentioned some lot of that you can mention, if I said to you name some wrestlers that have
crossed over into acting, the first you're going to go is what, Rock and John Cena and Batista.
Those are the three that you go with.
But there's been tons of other ones, but what you never do is you never bring up the female ones.
And there have been a few.
Like Becky Lynch did it, but we didn't bring up Mercedes yesterday when we were talking about it.
And we should have.
I forgot about her, but there hasn't been any breakout stars yet.
And I thought maybe this was going to be one of those roles.
I don't know, Mike, do you think this is a big deal?
Or like you said, it just could be much.
I think they're smart in the fact that they're using her.
her clout in the WWE to bring attention to the movie.
It's all it is.
Excellent point.
You know why? Because if they didn't do it this way,
the way that they just did it,
who the hell would have been talking about bad lieutenant this movie in the way, right?
Because now you're like,
the buildup was what movie is it?
What is she going to be in?
Is she going to be in Marvel?
She's going to be in this thing?
You're like, bad lieutenant.
You're like, bad lieutenant, but we're talking about it.
It's like the Harvey Kitell movie?
It's the IP base of it, right?
but it's like that's what we're talking about that movie now yeah so that's it um okay i think that's it
i think that's it as far as major topics to discuss i don't think there's anything else really
that i'm missing um we can get to the questions because uh there's there's a handful of them but
let me see if there's anything else that's really worth it today that we should be discussing um
nah that's it so i think we covered the majority of the stuff so we'll get
We'll get to the questions, and we've got, both Steph and Mike are trying to catch Roxy.
So for those of you who want to keep the show going, keep us going, you want to get them to win this week.
They are currently at 33.
They need to get to 150, what I said, 151.
Yeah.
To catch Roxy.
So let's start with the first one.
and we're going to go with Callum Fadian
who said, I loved this season.
However, I thought each arc would feel a little bit more
completely satisfying than it has.
Season one is better so far, especially the music.
Like I said, come back to me after next week
and we'll see if you feel the same way.
Callum, one wheelchair lady versus 100 Mike Kellanowski's.
Good reference, good reference.
I would say the wheelchair lady.
I'd say one wheelchair lady.
I couldn't I could not stand against her even a hundred of me she reminded me of one of the tanks in saving private Ryan and just as personable yeah it was I mean if there was ever anything in my life that I wish I had on recording right it was that and when I fainted at six flags those two moments I wait what is this what happened remember I fainted at six six flags with Roxy Doreen
and Kate.
Oh,
the rural girls.
Yeah,
yeah.
Which Kate was the worst, best person to have
because me,
Roxie and Doreen are just like degenerates,
but Kate's a mother.
Right.
So when I fainted,
it wasn't funny to Kate.
It was like,
we're going home right now.
Right.
Right.
Did she actually take you home?
No,
no, no.
I was like,
girl,
I'm fine.
This happened sometimes.
Girl,
I just need some sugar.
Give me,
give me a candy bar.
I'll be good.
Did you,
what was it?
Did you not eat or something?
No,
no.
That's never my problem.
I was de- it was a hundred and ten it was just a really hot yeah and I didn't have enough water
I thought you meant like I said you don't have enough water you said no I didn't have enough water
I have no defense I'm not sure what happened okay
all right um next one senpai dami the production set design for under season two is insane
makes the accolite feel like it was filmed in a car park give gilroy the key seal republic era oh my god
i would love that oh my god i would love that i don't think it's ever happening oh of course it isn't
of course i don't think he's ever doing another star wars thing so this we just got to soak it up
i think he's done after this yeah i don't think they want him to unfortunately i think he i think
he would if they if i think it was a lot for him too yeah bummer uh greeny from us so far i've been loving
the three episode drops a week. It leaves you 100%
satisfied and just seems a really smart way to structure
a TV series overall. If you do it
this way, yes. If you do it where it's essentially
you're putting out
you know, two
hour and 20 minute movies
every week, sure. Because that's
what it is. You get the ending and the
satisfaction of the closing of it. But
I'm telling you, I cannot wait until
you guys see
next weeks.
Greeny from Oz. Also, thought
Amazon needs to hire Gilroy's
for 007.
What do you think?
What do you think about that, Mikey?
Would you like to see a guy?
The guy knows spy stuff, so yeah.
Brother too, man.
Mike, can you beat a gorilla, says Armada.
I'll give it a good go.
Did you see that simulation video that someone created?
Oh, simulation? No, you know.
It was like a million men to a thousand gorillas,
and the gorillas just took like five minutes to sweep them out.
Yeah, man.
We don't hold, we ain't going to hold shit to a gorilla.
They're going to destroy us.
No, nothing.
Destroy us.
Someone sent me yesterday, it was this AI thing that was created.
It was, it was Doom versus Thanos.
It was pretty awesome.
They actually kind of AI generated Thanos's voice also sounded just like Josh
Brolin.
But it was like, they were going back and forth and Doom was kind of,
doom was kind of reasoned with them for a little bit.
And then Thanos was like,
let's let's let's do it let's let's fight and doom's like all right because i think he was trying
to recruit him or whatnot and he's like do you have a gauntlet he's like i do not he's like all right
let's go so and and thanos is out there just ready to wreck shop and doom just rips out his spine
no problem at all oh my god that's what you need to see he's got to be able to do that in in the
movie like he's got to be able to do that um because otherwise you know why are we're going to be
intimidated by him. The scene that was set up
was really, really good.
I wonder if I can even break. I even bring it.
I think that's a problem going into it. And I know
the people say this,
with the fact that they showed Ant Man beating Kang.
Yeah.
You set this guy up for so long, but I was like,
well, it's the council of Kang. And that's not
really the one. But I was like, you hype this guy up
to be the thing. Everyone's terrified of.
And Ant Man beats him. Right. No.
You were in trouble at that point. I don't care. It was one version
or not. I agree with you. He, he,
they hurt. They hurt,
They hurt Kang in that movie and he gets carried off by a couple of ants.
Stupid.
Mark Jason Ali,
loving Andor.
It's an amazing show.
Shameous last season,
but I do get it.
I like the way they're releasing it this year.
Same.
And you know,
you got to look at the,
you can't look at episode 12 as the season finale.
You have to look at Rogue 1 as the season finale.
Go pal.
Three episodes a week for Andor is a stretch for me,
but I'm still loving the show.
My old age,
I have to turn into TV.
off at 9 and be in bed by 10. I do
understand that. Okay, here's a good thing.
Yeah. I was to go to go back. Last
week, I watched all three because I was so bang,
bang, bang. This week, I watched two and I was like,
I'll watch the other one tomorrow night.
Okay. I didn't feel like I got to watch this next
one. Right. Okay, that's fair.
I don't think that will be the same
for next stuff. Probably not. We'll find out.
I'll call you a liar. Yes, that's fair.
Johnny Venerable, Christian,
you made the correct argument for the presence
of legacy characters and past projects because
it made sense. The series needed
Vader. I don't think it does need
Vader. I really don't. I think it should get
it because like I said, what I just say to you,
I just told you that the series finale
was Rogue One. Who's in Rogue One?
Vader. I love
the fact that Gilrides
even said he's like, I'm not putting
Palpatine in there. I think
his words were, it's too much meat.
It's too much meat. Like, I love that there's no
Palpatine. He's just this in presence
that is there. You don't need them.
You don't need him. I don't want him pop. I wouldn't
have minded seeing a conversation
with him. I wouldn't mind it, but it does, but not needed.
Bader is in the season finale. He's in Rogue One.
That's the season finale is Rogue One.
And he's in it.
Thinking back to Andor, or not,
or Rogue One, I almost would have wished we didn't see that scene in the middle of the
movie with Vader. We just sort of saw him at the end.
In Obi-Won? Yeah, no, and Rogue One.
He goes, he goes to Musafar to see him. And he's like, yeah, yeah.
Well, he was actually, I wish we would just seen him at the end.
He was supposed to be in it a lot more.
Yeah.
You know it's funny that too, and it just kind of died down,
but I remember when Freddie Prince Jr. had mentioned that,
that Flonny had directed that Vader thing.
And then he was like, no, I didn't.
And then I'm pretty positive that Flonny did do that scene.
That was actually a pretty awesome scene.
So, I mean, I wish you would take credit for that
because I've been not too keen on him lately,
but that was a pretty good scene.
Connor Mullis, listening at work,
I will try to show the cat later.
Oh, yes.
We got, we got a video of that.
Do you remember that, Mike?
So his cat, every time you're on,
his cat hates you.
Me?
Yeah, he hates you.
So every time you're on the screen,
the cat hisses and does stuff and goes nuts when you're talking.
That's hysterical.
Cats suck.
So there you go, Connor.
That's why he's his name.
I bet people watch this with dogs.
They go nuts.
They love it when I'm on.
It's really going to be amazing.
Anytime you make one of your points.
So good.
All right.
Let's see.
Next one is go pal.
34 right now,
guys,
34.
You got to have a comeback.
Go pal.
Recasting Jimmy Smiths with Benjamin Brack is like,
oh,
Smith isn't available?
Bring me the Latino cop from the 90s TV.
Hey,
come up.
I think he's really good.
I think he's really good in this.
Yeah,
I think that I will.
No problem.
Yeah.
No problem.
Johnny Venerable says Mike is right.
Andrew's been too slow and he's juice.
Disagree.
And Mike only said it for that.
It just needs a little sauce, a little sauce.
Yeah.
Mike said that for the only the first,
the first trip is of this one, not the whole season.
Mike, like the first.
Yeah.
I'm just, yeah, I'm just.
Scott, he doesn't know.
Ander is incredibly well acted.
It looks fantastic, but I find myself being bored throughout most of the episodes.
It's 40 minutes of boredomling to five minutes of excitement.
Man.
This is why we don't have anything.
I mean, this is what I'm not.
But you.
But you got to give these guys credit, especially if we all love the first season.
We're not going to, oh, it's more of the same shit.
There was.
I'm talking about the whole thing, though.
You're only talking about the first two episodes.
Yeah, I'm just talking a little.
And I said, this is why we can't have nice things.
This is why they give you, this is why they give you the accolite.
Again, I would pick this show out of any show, Sam,
Mandalorian 1 and 2 all the time.
So I'm not just in the show, man.
I love it.
I know you're not.
I know you're not.
Go, pal.
It's a little weird that.
the bat signal only seems to be lit in the middle of the night when Andor is asleep and only
insomnia box can see it.
Oh, what happens?
Oh, Bix.
I don't know what the bat signals do with it.
Bix, okay.
I think he said because when they show the sign that they're showing in Corrassant,
when you're putting up the blast that they both see.
And the signals that they see, that's what he's talking about.
Yeah.
I think they're really paying attention to it.
Mark Jason Ali, in my opinion, recasting bail was stupid.
I don't don't use it you can't get to me back oh I disagree love Bix hope they don't kill her off screen
she needs a hero's death oh I yeah I think you might change your opinion more um like this and I think
Tony I think his his comments about why he did it the way he did was let people talk about
and say why do you recast and do all that before you see him get involved you you need bail you need
bill so yeah he was he's one of the architects the rebellion you can't
happen you have to have a mr i crap and shits sending some support i have to miss the show today
and my local regal about to see thunderbolts at 220 good man let me know very curious to hear what people think
he's in it right now yeah spencer anthony we got revenge of the sith and revenge of the bicks that's right
we did it it was so awesome that was really good yeah i mean did you guys see revenge of the
sith over the weekend 25 million dollars in made is that pretty great i did it i did it my my
the girl that cuts my hair,
did. She loved it.
But she never got to see the original.
Oh, that's interesting.
Sean McCabe,
hey guys,
you three are awesome.
Andor is amazing.
All right.
Thank you, Sean.
Sean's the best.
I glad you saw it.
Johnny Venerable.
Critics absolutely benefited from getting the entire season at once,
except those 100%.
People were promised more Star Wars in season one.
I don't disagree with you.
And I think I even made that point.
I think I even said,
I think it was really smart to get the critics kind of talking about it overall
to put this thing out and to see it,
because I maybe it would have been
the same point as you, Mike,
if I'm right.
I can't,
I can't think of a show
where they gave you guys
all the season.
Like,
you guys didn't get all born again,
did you?
Yeah,
we did.
Oh,
you did?
But that was also one
where they had the creative stuff
going on behind the scenes,
reboot and stuff.
If they were only giving you one or two,
you would have been like,
ooh,
what's going on here?
I'll tell you,
the reason why I kind of maybe
might have had a different opinion
and maybe even shared yours,
Mike,
I watched episodes three, four, five, six, seven, and eight in one day.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
That's a lot of TV.
I was doing all the reactions to it.
And I was just sitting down.
I just did all of them.
So boom, bum, boom, boom.
And so it almost played like one mega movie to me.
So maybe it blended in.
So I kind of understand maybe that I just, it's just when you see episode seven, eight, nine.
Sure.
I get it.
What we also didn't even speak about was that was the death stuff.
That break your heart or what?
I brought it up, but no one responded.
So I probably got past.
No, no.
Yes, that broke my heart.
I was so happy that we got the moment where they could talk because there was so much that
needed to be said between the two of them.
But that was really brutal.
I thought I was like either everyone's going to die or one of them is going to die or the two
together, but it's brutal.
I do like how it was
a result of the
rebels, not she just died in the thing.
But the minute
that guy was introduced, I'm like, numn nuts
is going to fuck this shit up. Right. What an idiot.
You just know going in. So sometimes I
wish they would flip the script and go,
holy crap, that guy followed orders and he
is just like, you knew he was going to be
the reason for something stupid, right?
It's true. You know,
did you see, uh, Seth, that Mike
filmed his reaction last night to watching that?
episode after the death?
Yeah, I don't want no lesbians in Star Wars.
Nah.
What was that?
Good, get him out of there.
Kill him.
Go, pal. I didn't recognize that guy from the wheatfield in the first art going to
help saw until I was thinking about the show after it was done.
Yeah, I mean, you do have to watch those recaps.
You are Willman.
Bold Goet.
Peter Colenco.
I can spend multiple seasons and exploring plot lines like the ones in three to six so much nuance,
especially as it pertains to everyone's personal plight and the rebellion both as individuals and
collectively as people. Exactly. Exactly, Peter. Now you get that. I disagreeing, Peter.
Yeah. Okay. So again, thank you to everybody who's putting in, and they were very generous, Peter. Really appreciate that.
Peter follows it up and says, loved Bix getting her groove back, but is Lonnie F, since only him and the guy
getting white girl wasted
were the only ones privy to Dr. Gorse transfer.
You got to keep watching and see what happens.
What do you guys think happens with Lonnie?
What was Lonnie?
The mole that's working for.
Oh, oh, with the ginger guy.
Yeah, yeah.
I think he'll eventually maybe get in trouble,
but he's going to be alive for a while.
He's dead.
He ain't sticking around.
All right, we'll see.
Sunday Joe Christian
What do you think of the Superman marketing?
It's May and still no trailer or idea of the plot
It's my most anticipated movie, but I'm worried
I'm gonna kind of agree with Joe here
This is kind of what?
It seems like it's unprecedented.
We got a movie coming out in July and we don't have a trailer for it yet
A full trailer that's I mean
Like but it's not like they haven't given us anything
We got the teaser which everyone loved
You know two billion whatever reviews
Then they did that recent
recently behind the scenes two minute video of the cast and right so it's not i'll tell you this man
i don't know the plot and i'm glad i don't want to so many of these movies we ruined the third
acting like a lot of the times are saying everything you've seen is act one i love that i agree
yeah i think you're towing a fine line man because again this has got a hit you can't overdo it
i don't want to give away too much yeah i i mean i don't disagree with you there i mean again like
keep bringing up sinners but um yeah look at sinners i think you need a trailer but again look at
they are going to give you one he said he's like here's the counter to that here's the counter
the counter is i agree the sinner's second trailer gave away too much however the argument can be
made yeah but that's what got people into the theaters you know so it's it's it's tricky but
step what do you think that you think there's been enough marketing not enough marketing
where do you stand i feel like there's completely been enough marketing maybe i'm
in the minority where I'm not necessarily looking for more than a single trailer.
I know that there's a method to it, but I think most people don't know that.
If I ask my parents how many teasers in a trailer come out per movie, they would be like,
I have no idea what you're talking about.
I think it's one trailer for each movie and that's it.
So I don't think this affects most people.
I think that, and I think putting the thing, whatever they did before Minecraft was incredibly
smart because they got Superman in front of the Minecraft audience, which is like, that's a whole
another audience they had to get.
Like, yeah.
I think we're going to get one soon.
I think, you know, they got Thunderbolts is coming out.
They're not going to let it take, they're going to let Marvel have its thing with Thunderbolts
right now, which is doing its full marketing push.
I'd say within the month, we're going to get one.
Yeah, you have to get, you, you would assume you got to get one in May.
I mean, you have to be, you got to start showing it across like all the summer, summer movies
that are coming up.
Yeah, you'll get one.
Mirjam.
I love Andrew so far.
and the nuance is also so good.
Watch it every Wednesday morning.
We're here in the Netherlands
airs on Wednesdays.
It was funny because like Steph said last week,
I thought it was on Wednesdays.
And last week I already shot my
reactions and I'm like, okay,
had the editors do it and say,
just need them done by Wednesday.
It was Tuesday and they weren't done.
I was like, oh, shit.
But yeah, I forgot.
This week I remember it obviously was Tuesday.
Why do they change it out and forth, Steph?
I don't know.
It's weird.
All right.
Freddie, Castellano.
Do you think Daisy would drop out of Star Wars?
Not for $12 million.
She ain't dropping out of it.
I feel bad.
They brought her out of the previous SWC,
then not Star Wars celebration,
then again, not this year.
The sequel trilogy in general doesn't seem to have a presence at celebration.
It's the same thing the three of us talk about all of the time.
They get an idea.
They go, this will be great.
We'll do this.
It'll be a big, big viral moment.
and they bring and they sign up Daisy Ridley
they don't even a script they have nothing and they sign her up
and they go let's bring her out on celebration
and they still love a movie
but there's no way she drops out because she's getting paid $12 million
staff right? Yes I think there's no way she's dropping out
and she's probably at a place
where she knows what to expect from Star Wars
and it's fandom so
I don't think she's caring necessarily
I mean, I'm sure she wants the movie to come out and be made obviously,
but I think she,
it's like this is a part of their process now.
What do you think, Mike?
Yeah, I mean,
I think they've learned a lesson to not over-hype stuff and, you know,
but it's her movie.
It'll get made.
She'll be there.
Okay.
So let's get to the next one here.
Sunday Joe, Luton is such a great character
and curious about how his fate ends.
up clear was a standout in episode six truly hope we get similar star wars movies or shows
yeah i wonder what the ratings are like so far though because that's what they're always going to
equate it to if people aren't watching it and you get more people like you know saying it's boring
slow uh then you're not going to get they're going to go oh see people don't want that they
want more uh big monsters in 30 minute episodes and pupe puil let's get let's get the same monsters
flying around and and now here comes the
Mandalorian again. Let's get
who's the hottest pop star out there?
Let's give them a scene in Star Wars. They want to be in
and they can be an alien.
There's Jack Black available to come back and it's like
that's what we're going to get.
If the ratings aren't good, we're going to get the same
old shit that we have been getting because they're going to think
that you guys don't want smart stuff.
Okay.
Next one after that
and that is Buster Barnes.
I saw Thunderbolts today.
during my work hours as I am wild and wanted to eat good.
I thought it was, it was good.
7.5, 8 out of 10 for me.
That's what Mike said.
It seems like the majority of people ate.
I gave it like a 4.2.
Out of what?
At a 5.
4.2 at a 10.
Yeah.
Out of 5.
Okay.
Oh my God.
I was like, whoa, I misread you, my guy.
8.8.
So like what I say?
4.2.
So yeah, 8.4 out of 10.
do math you never told me you can do math good for you no billy thanks well appreciate it
it jones over under many many bothons appear in andor i'll let you guys do you get that joke
no so in the movie where mon mothma that's return the jetty she's like many boffins died to get
this information but the way she said it it makes it sound like manny boffins it's but many
bothans are a race of people the boffins the way she says it makes you're like who's manny boughlin
Oh, I never, never, never, never heard that.
Never once heard of that.
Oh, yeah, go out of the judge.
Like, Manny Bothens died.
Mani Boffens, who is he?
I know she said that, but I just never knew anybody said many.
Yeah, but Bawthens spies, yeah.
Thank you for translating.
Mirza, support for Steph and the old funny guy.
Totally.
I love it.
See, now, Seth, that doesn't hold water because I told my shannon.
I was like, you know what?
I'm at the age, and I can be this grumpy old guy,
could say whatever I want.
And we just go, he's just an old guy.
And she's like, no, you can't.
You really can't say that.
And I was like, but I should be able to.
So I don't think it's going to work in my favor, Steph.
Something.
I don't know.
Maybe just add some more white in your hair.
Yeah.
Right.
Mike Joyce, maybe Steph was laughing because it seemed like Mike was about to start singing
eyes, ears, mouth and nose kid's song.
Maybe it's during that bit.
It's possible.
Eyes, ears, mouth and nose, mouth and nose.
Dancing Dog 60.
This liberal will probably be.
like Rhonda and Fast and Furious.
It's possible, but you gotta assume
she's better actress than Rhonda.
I mean, come on.
I love that Rhonda's now on a farm
living her best life. Good for her.
Is that what she's doing? Yeah, she'll return.
She'll return, but yeah. Oh, totally, but she's a millionaire
with her husband.
She's chilling. Yeah, go pal.
Didn't they make a second
bad lieutenant with Nicholas Cage that's not a single
person had seen? I feel like that's good past on
prime. Bad, bad lieutenant
port a call. I think it's in Orleans.
Yeah, it was, Roku was right.
Renetta W.
Hi, lady and jents.
Just offering some support and well wishes, smooches.
Thank you so much, Redetta.
Appreciate that very much.
Thank you.
And then some.
All right, right now, 47, as we preach,
approach 118.
Where's Derek Johnson, man?
Where is there?
No presence.
Slight correction.
He is in the series finale.
That's what I said.
Sunday Joe, Disney needs to consider
to the positive buzz of Andor.
Very, very true.
And especially if they win some awards on it.
Peter Kalenko, in the Gorman resistance war room when Bell and
Cintra are telling them what to do, if Mike was there, would he be cool or lippy?
Hachtag level.
Lipi?
Of course he would be.
I'd be lippy?
Yeah.
Oh, so if the girls are going over the planet, like, you do not do anything that we do not say,
you think I'd be lippy?
Yeah.
And you probably go, I'd be the guy.
I'd be the guy in the background leaning against the wall with his hand on his blaster going,
all right, ladies, keep talking.
It depends on your mood.
I think that sometimes that's true.
I think sometimes that's true.
Yeah, it would depend on your day and how much Diet Coke you had.
Yeah.
How Chris would your life was.
Let's say I had copious amounts of Diet Coke.
How would I be then?
You'd be yelling at the minute a second.
Like, hey, shut your mouth.
The girls are talking.
Or what do that defense is like, yeah.
What are we doing here?
Let's go.
We're just sitting around talking.
Let's move.
Let's do poo.
Poo!
All right.
Buster Barnes.
Why is it whenever new MCO promo comes out?
I always see online.
Superman's in trouble.
Can people just like what they like?
Yeah, I don't understand like why it actually would,
it benefits the theater box office when they all do well.
Like when Thunderbolts does very well,
and I guess the argument can be made,
well, if I'm going to spend my money on Fantastic Four,
I'm not going to spend that on Superman.
But if you could,
you could also, you could balance it out.
And I don't think that people realize that, again,
the casual fan doesn't really have a Yankees versus Red Sox mentality
the way a lot of other Marvel and DC fans do.
Like, there's a lot of casual fans that,
it's superhero, some people don't even realize that Superman's in the DC
and that Spider-Man's in Marvel.
It's, you know, there's that famous clip of the newscaster.
Ever see that newscaster?
The one that's hilarious.
Who's your favorite superhero?
Mine's Spider-Man.
Mine's Superman.
With great power comes great responsibility.
And it was like one other one.
Who's your favorite?
Yeah, who's your favorite Marvel character?
Mine's Superman.
You know what they say?
It was great-
It's hilarious.
Chris, hey, my girlfriend loves Pearl.
You know someone wrote that for her, too, by the way.
Of course.
And then just set her up to fail.
Of course.
but he probably didn't know what he was doing either
no I bet you it was I bet you was a total anchorman
moment I bet you 100%
I bet you that someone
someone who's who whether that
whether they were beefing or whatever I'd love to get
the true story on that one and find out
like that guy's like all right you know what Sheila
this is my last year you think that guy set her up
oh yeah 100%
I think 100% he's like you know Sheila
you've been an asshole to me
the whole time I'm here you know what I'm gonna do
watch this you want to talk about this is
Sheila this is gonna be your fucking
legacy.
You've been at this network for 30 years.
This is going to be your legacy.
Wait until the internet gets hold of this.
I'm out of here.
Here's my notice.
I hope the guy that that is the story.
I really hope that's what happened.
I really have to find out what happened.
And now that girl is living with the shame of this moment.
Yes.
And her 30 year journalistic career, but this is what she lives with.
Luke,
please send this to Val and have him take those clips of that woman saying that and having
that conversation.
I beg you.
That's the short that I want for this week.
That clip structured in there for her saying that.
And just some guy, the anchorman guy,
just furiously just typing away,
messing with it.
Chris A,
my girlfriend loves Pearl and is the reason I'm able to get her to see Superman.
That's awesome.
He saw them in that movie,
and she thought Superman kind of fits.
And he thought Superman kind of fits.
Yeah, I never saw Pearl.
Do you guys see it?
No.
I didn't see it.
I hear good things though.
D. Murdoch,
the Thunderbolt singing for the second time.
Wow. Interesting. 3.8 out of five. Nice, Dee.
Want to see it twice? It's amazing.
Dancing Dog 60, I prefer Revenge of the Nerds myself, but her movie.
Sadie was like the other day. She's like, should we,
should we do that one for a reaction? I've never seen it.
She's like, I saw it once, like a long time ago, and I was like,
I don't know if it holds up anymore.
Yeah.
That's what the streets are saying.
The streets are saying.
Connor Mollis, I live three minutes away from the Field of Dreams.
They are having a nickel back concert there. Wow.
this time I'll be wasted.
You better preserve that field for all of time.
Yep.
You have to.
That's a classic.
Really cool.
Connor Mullis.
Superman teaser made me feel like a kid again.
Agreed.
Although,
I'll tell you,
though,
what does make me nervous,
though,
speaking of casual fans,
I actually got this text from my buddy this morning.
He's a big movie fan,
but he just,
just,
I guess,
just heard about the fact of doing a Superman movie.
And this is what he says.
Last night when I get,
I got a text from him.
And he writes,
one of a second.
Crypto?
The dog?
Are you fucking kidding me?
And to which I said, yeah, man, but he's in,
I said he's in the comics.
The movie looks good.
He's like,
ah,
I'll see.
Oh my gosh.
People who didn't know that, you know,
it's like, and I know Rogan was,
was busted Matt Sarah's balls about the,
the dog and everything too.
Like, people are not,
like,
the comic book fans,
are loving the dog in aspect,
but if they make this too much about crypto,
it's going to be a major error.
I don't think they will.
I think, again,
he's just showing a little bit of the first, like...
I hope so.
Don't let your love for dogs take over.
I get it,
but don't make it,
don't make it a crypto movie.
That'll be a...
I don't think they do, man.
Mistake.
I don't think so either.
Dancing Dog 60.
What's your favorite police academy line?
Mine is marriage is a secret institution.
So tell me, you and the wife do a doggy style?
What?
Have you ever seen the police academy movies, Steph?
No.
You know, mine is yama, yama, yama, yama, yama.
My favorite is this.
My favorite, I don't know if you remember this.
So it's Captain Mouser.
He's shampooing in the shower, and he's got,
he put, like, glue in his hair.
And he's like, pretty soon they'll be called me Captain Mouser,
and all the sergeants will be on there.
And he's got the soap in his eyes.
He's like, what the fuck?
I have not seen the police catamie.
movies and so long. I'd love to watch.
So was Captain Mouser? Oh, Captain Lassard.
Yes. Those two guys.
So funny. Oh, my God.
Like, I got to go back and watch this.
Was Lassard? Or he was.
Lord, yeah, Lassard.
But we see the captain, the Punky Brewster's dad.
Right. Oh, right. He was Lassar.
He was. Yeah, it was Mouser and.
Oh, shoot. Someone should in the chat to know.
Who's the, G.W. Bailey's the actor. What captain did he do you?
Mouser and.
No, you're right. It's the main one.
It's, hold on.
And he had his assistant, Proctor.
Yes, Proctor.
Proctor.
What's his name?
It's, uh, Harris.
Harris, Captain Harris.
Tennant Harris.
Mahoney is the league.
I forgot Kim Contrell was in the first one.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
Those first couple ones.
I'd love to see reaction by Steph on those.
Kingsport Cowell casting episode of the studio is the best one yet.
It was great.
Do you guys watch it?
Yeah.
I've only watched the first one.
Okay.
Last,
did you watch last night's stuff or two nights ago?
The one with,
um,
can we say it?
I wouldn't say it,
but the cast thing for the movie.
Yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
it was great.
It was really funny.
It was so,
it was so telling of what happens in the studio now.
Yeah.
The whole show is like that.
It's kind of crazy.
Like just panicking and worry what social media is going to say about you and just
decisions that are made.
because of that and people losing their jobs because of that and it was like it was that
because of that it was absolute chaos and it was it was great um Mike choice if you could be any
movie monster what would you be king Kong yeah godzilla oh movie monster
wolf man um Ily Wernos
the hell is that it's uh shirley's there on a monster that's
my movie Monster.
I think something from
Pacific Rim, one of those
badass Kaiju in Pacific Rim.
You know what this is going to be best about that clip, though?
You guys are expecting it.
Like, when the other hosts, like tomorrow
on Capson and Kals, I'm expecting that.
What the heck?
In the middle of when.
If Winston says something silly,
I'm going to play that for sure.
Yeah.
and Roka will get Roka on it as well.
Pooch Shoot Riot.
I had no idea,
I had no idea who Joe Hendry was until he got popping up my IG reels.
His intro is hilarious.
It gives me Makuga vibes.
Yeah,
I can see the Makuga vibes on that,
for sure.
He's a wrestler,
and it's a very schmodeown type antro.
It's like,
his old shtick is,
it's like,
it goes,
say his name,
and he appears,
I believe in Joe Hendry.
And he does this ridiculous smile.
And it's funny.
I don't know how much of the bit is going to last on forever,
but like he's getting over because of it.
But yeah, it's a very Makuga type thing for sure.
Poochit Riot, Christian, your reaction to Final Destination 2 is hilarious.
Thank you.
I'm glad that you watched it.
We had so much fun watching that movie.
If you guys haven't had a chance, even if you don't like the Final Destination movies,
it is one of the funnier reactions that we have done.
And there is so much stuff going on in that reaction.
and it's worth the watch.
So thank you for watching.
I appreciate it.
Motor Roland,
what's up,
Joey?
The IWC Internet wrestling community
is going to explode
when Logan Paul outperforms Jay
and I can't wait for the excuses.
He's going to wrestle shadows,
circles around Jay.
Jay's got six moves,
but I was bummed that they put them up against them this quick
because it means Javes was going to definitely beat him.
You know,
I'd like to see Logan pull off the win.
It'd be great, but it's not going to happen.
The Sink Lord for Mike.
Could you, could young Riggs beat Jet Lee in Lethal Weapon 4?
Nah.
Jet Lee mess him up, messes him up.
Yeah, but he said, what a young Riggs?
He's still, man.
He's too fast.
Yeah, fast.
I agree.
Buster Barnes, just watched season two of White Lotus.
And even though Brandon Sclenar is my top choice for DCU Batman,
I think Theo James is my number two is the voice and look.
He's a little too pretty.
I love Theo James.
The gentleman is so good.
I cannot wait for the next season.
He's such a, and that's more of a, I guess,
a role where you could see him being a Batman more.
So I see what you're saying.
Yeah. Armada.
Mike versus 100 old ladies on scooters.
Oh, Mike would be dead in minutes.
Seconds.
Dead.
Dead.
But they're old ladies.
They're not the young one that we dealt with.
Dancing Dog 60, favorite limitation?
Libation.
What did you just say, Shon?
I can't see.
Lamentation.
Favorite limitation.
I can't see.
Favorite levitation.
Lombardia Lendosa.
That's my favorite one.
I know.
Sorry.
The way Mike was ready to jump.
Good.
That's what you say?
I literally, like, it is like, it is so hard to make out anything.
I don't know I try.
So what is your favorite?
Yeah.
Right now, Titos and soda is my favorite is my newer choice.
I'm a scotch neat.
Yeah.
Scotch neat.
I've been drinking.
It doesn't even count.
Yeah. I've been drinking wine, so I don't have an answer.
The vitamin dealer.
I don't understand why we can't get a project with force, lightsabors, and all that that takes itself seriously.
I agree with you.
Why do we have to choose between and or hilarious?
I can tell that the vitamin dealer did voice text.
You know how I know he did voice text?
Because any time I do.
do and or like that it always says and slash or every time every time so i like vitamin dealer can you
confirm that you are using voice text because that happens to me all of the time so he says why do we
have to choose between and or act like because i don't like either of those choices because i think what
the good here's the difference though um for you even if you don't like and or because i what i'm
hoping is that they show that you could do something like and or because imagine they would have done
a Vader series in the style of Andor, right?
Then you would have been satisfied because you would have gotten
lightsabers and the things taking us seriously and you could have done all that.
The question is it's the creators that they're working with.
And it's also who is taking notes because Deborah Chow is going to take notes from
Faloni and Favro or Faloni more so, right?
Tony Gilroy is not.
You need somebody who's going to be able to just be able to do their own thing and not be bombarded
with philoni cartooned.
And it also made me realize, like, still, we haven't heard of one,
may the Force be with you, but they're doing this stuff,
like the chest, like the goodbye.
Like, yeah, I love stuff like that,
that they create new stuff for Star Wars.
Yeah.
What do you think, Seth?
You have an answer for that one?
Why, why the, still the same question of,
yeah, but why do we have to either get, you know,
cartooning stuff or more serious political stuff with no lightsabors?
I think they're figuring out what they want.
And hopefully it looks more like a spread.
Like we can have different types of tone,
but keep the same heart of Star Wars running throughout.
And then depending on what the story is calling for,
you would get what is necessary.
I don't think the story and or calls for as much as I love lightsabers and Jedi's
more than a lot of people.
that and anything that the story needed it for i haven't felt like oh this is lacking because it
doesn't have it but i hear what you're saying like it's always nice to have a great lightsaber scene
or something that feels very very star wars but i think it's good if we can nail this and then you can
build into that depending on what the show calls for agree well said ass man i love countowski
reminds me in my boxing buddies there you go that's fun there you get peter yeah i feel like you'd be
friends with with daredevil like that would be you foggy you'd fit in the foggy the
Netflix yeah yeah yes Peter Kalenko your friends and neighbors is really good have you seen it
oh that's one with uh john ham right yeah no i haven't seen it that's with john ham which it's it's like
nice to see him start as the super lead in the show i um i'm worried about let me know what you think
It seems like I was going to get bored with what was happening,
but is there more to tell or are they telling more than what the trailer put down?
Let me know,
because I do want to watch it.
I'm pretty sure Sadie's watching it.
I want to ask her.
Okay.
Permanent Major League Baseball Stadium is being built at the field.
Oh, wow.
Is that true for Field of Dreams?
Oh,
Motorola.
I missed out on the live bit with Roka,
but I still,
but I heard she'll return in Doomsday.
you think she's going to be in Doomsday?
I don't know if I, is that a bit?
I don't know if that was, I didn't get it.
Sean McCabe didn't even notice Smiths to Benjamin Brett's swap,
watching Andrew like, hey, there's Bel Argana.
That's pretty great.
Support for Stefan Mike.
You're awesome.
You're cool too, Kage.
You don't have to say that to me.
I know.
This is, yeah, man, that's great.
I told you.
Like, hard.
I mean, like I said, hard to not like, but I think Benjamin Brut's great.
I told you.
Yep.
jealous but still yeah yeah but he uh man is he are you jealous i what am i missing is he dating
sander bologg no he like he dated julia roberts like four years or something oh oh yeah but um but he's
he's uh he's great he's great he's like i mean and from everything what everyone says he's like
the greatest guy in the world from people that have worked with him so it's a really good actor i like
them in the show a lot. Dancing Dog 60. Never rub another man's
Rubeer. Joker.
David Triana, you should throw up that clip of Mike during a movie reaction
with Sam. It should actually. It would be great. She wouldn't know what the hell's going on.
She'd laugh at it. Dancing Dog 60, man's got to know his limitations.
Harry, see. A lot of great quotes here today in the chat.
65, 65 with about 20 minutes to go. Can you guys do it?
Major, major combat.
I see what you're doing, smart ass.
I see it.
D. Murdoch.
Like to see you check out Star Wars Theory, Vader, episode two trailer.
I didn't know that it.
I liked the first movie.
You did?
First movie was good.
I didn't know there was a trailer.
Bradley Pooper.
How much do you have to pay to get Mark Ellis, Josh McCug, and Napuggan on this show?
Also, what do you think of Revenge of the Sith in theaters?
I talked to Mark yesterday.
Mark will come back on.
I'll get Mark on soon, for sure.
J.C. Mighty.
Guys, love your show.
What are you going to do reactions of films from the 19 gays?
The 19 gays.
Yeah.
I was from,
yeah,
some weeks ago.
Yeah,
canes, right?
Yeah,
19 gays.
19 gays.
That was really bad.
Roaring 19 gays.
All right.
So here we go.
Right now,
like I said,
you had 65.
We've come to the end.
So we're going to do this thing again.
Steph has been here many times before, back against the wall.
We're going to go to sign off.
If people want to keep us going on,
they're going to throw some more in to see if you can get Mike and Steph to beat Roxy.
But if not, sign off, we'll see you back here tomorrow with capes and cows.
Mike Joyce throws one in this as support for Steph's claws.
That's very nice.
Thank you.
As always.
And as I say, that's beautiful.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, good.
All right, Steph, while we see if anybody is, oh, we do have somebody here.
Joshua Gonzalez, John Walker, did nothing wrong.
Hashtag best cap.
All right.
He's trying to live his life, man.
Support for Mike's internet.
You know, you need that.
And then motor rolling.
Yesterday I got chewed out by an old lady over our 10 cent bags or electric scooter died
three spots from a car and nobody helped.
Oh, karma.
Poor old.
You don't want to pay 10 cents for a bag?
lady boom joey peddress any on the anyone on the panel collect records so i'm so glad you asked that
question um i don't i mean i like when i get them i have i have a fair a fair share brett sheridan
has a ton of them and he's actually starting a youtube channel that's doing just that he sent me um
he sent me the um he's going to be doing his kind of comedy style with it and we'll be promoting it heavily on
here when he does so brett is the record guy for sure
Do you guys collect?
No, I want a record player so bad.
Shannon does.
She's got a collection.
Okay.
That makes sense.
Amata, how is Doomsday coming out next May?
While Spider-Man 4 in July and story takes place after fall and Christmas release instead.
Wait, so Spitey, well, doomsday's coming out in May, which would make sense, right?
And then Spider-Man comes out in July.
And that, and that Spider-Man story takes place after Doomsday.
So I guess I don't understand the question.
Do you understand?
Maybe just it's, I don't know, so quick afterwards maybe.
That would make sense.
Or maybe he means jubesday takes place after Spider-Man.
No, Spider-Man takes place after Doomsday, I think, right?
But even if the answer, let's say it does take place before,
Ant-Man 2 took place before Infinity War.
And that, did you remember the post-credit?
Do you remember the post-credit?
But it's self-contained.
It was by itself.
I know, but so.
I don't know. I don't have answers.
Oh, you just want to hear yourself talk.
Dean Rodox, support for Steph's
hands, Mike's laugh and howl.
Thanks. Mark Jason, I'll leave me wrong.
I love Brad, but Smith's this organic to me. I keep
watching. I'm with you, but there's only so much you can do.
If you need the character, you need the character.
Mike Joyce, support for Mike's maniacal laugh.
Yep. Absolutely.
Dancing Dog 60. Thoughts on Belichick and the young chick.
I'm getting shades of Robin Givens and Mike Tyson from that interview.
I'll tell you what I think about this.
That is a hard 26.
That girl don't look on 26, man.
I'm sorry.
I am sorry.
It's still wrong.
It's a weird thing.
But that chick, you see her walking at is not,
I'm 26 years old.
Bullshit.
Well, that's like a 36.
I think, yeah, I never really want to comment on people's relationships.
And, you know, it is consensual.
Yeah, it is odd.
But more than that, the interview played very weird.
The interview, yeah, it's, I don't care really.
It was like, yeah, I don't watch it.
What was it?
Like, what happened?
You were an interview on Belichick about his new book.
And like she was like, it was so awkward already, as you know.
Like him in interviews is the craziest awkward thing ever.
They're asking him about his book.
And then she's watching.
She's like, don't answer that.
We're leaving.
Get out.
Let's go that.
And she like, stormed out of a room.
We're not talking about that.
him to follow and he doesn't it's like it's hilarious uh it's weird it's weird uh peter kalenko

At Mike Klanowski, buddy boy.

We've got another one here.
So this one is J.C.
Mighty is how old if the black,
what you just say,
Harlov.
I'm a black guy from London and I want to sound cool.
You guys can say anything cool.
You don't need, you don't need,
you don't need us to do.
Anything.
That is what you definitely,
you have a lot of things going for you as a Brit,
but you know bad I want to be able to curse as a Brit.
Oh, fuck off.
Like, it's also the way.
There's so much.
Fuck off.
There's so much more clever than us.
Like they think of these comebacks and I'm like, what the hell?
You're better than us in the words.
I'm saying they can say words.
If I say a word, like if I say, oh, you twat.
You sound like, oh, I don't say that.
And someone goes, you twat.
I can't.
It's a horrible accent.
Right.
You know what I think.
You're right.
Have you heard them?
Have you heard them say, have you heard them say pussy?
No, we heard you did.
like okay he said the c word but they say that and it's like oh my god you put totally new meaning
they do they make it's like almost it's like it's like an it's like an arrogant slap in your face
the way they say to see yeah i'm like yeah it's greases yeah it's pretty amazing mr i crap and shits
damn had to leave thunderbolt's early power outage oh boo that sucks that's a kick in the ding dong that sucks
peter polenko mobland is great too so far

At 80, look at that.
They won't let you go yet.
80 is still pushing.
Oh, 81.
Third man, three.
Did you see the Gorman who looked like Mon's husband?
I don't think so.
No, but that guy is a piece of work, her husband, man.
I love him.
Yeah, I love him.
He's great character.
It's such a piece of work.
Love him.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, there you go.
We did it.
You guys did a really good job.
And someone's the top five albums.
I don't know.
I'd say top five albums.
I'll tell you.
Oh my gosh.
That's too tough to do.
Bradley Pooper.
I will say that I'll put one of the Dwar's albums up there to one of the
Stones albums up there.
One of the Pearl Jam albums up there.
I'll put a jizzah, by the way, Liquid Swords is one of my favorite albums.
So there's just a couple ones that pop in my head.
I don't know about top five of all time.
Yeah.
I would say like miseducation.
one of Outcast albums, maybe speaker or ATLians.
Yeah, that's Huff.
I don't know.
Home Alone soundtrack.
Perfect.
Perfect.
You know this, Mike, someone brought this up the other day.
Who sings, is it Toto that sings Africa?
Yeah.
Did you know the lead singer of that is John Williams' son?
No.
No clue.
I know John Williams had a son.
Now you do, because I didn't know either.
until the other day.
All right.
Thank you, everybody.
I appreciate you.
Look, we're on Apple Podcasts.
