Starting point is 00:00:30 Happy holiday. Thanks for joining me here today on The Big Thing Live. It's me by my lonesome, obviously. Roka is out. He's having a nice little vacation, well deserved. Not me. I'm here working as we are going to break down a lot of these things. As you saw and you clicked on this or you listened to us on the replay,
Starting point is 00:00:49 Furiosa, which was a prequel to Mad Max, Fury Road, didn't do very much. well at the box office. It's going to be a big, I think it could be a big loss considering, again, the budget. And with other movies coming out, it's the beginning of the May season. And Apes did okay, but Furiosa, not so much.
Starting point is 00:01:11 Fall guy, not so much. What's going on with the movie theaters, guys? Is this a bigger problem? We've had this discussion before, but it's going to keep going on as we get more and more of these types of results. Is it me, broken record style going into the whole budgets and maybe you got to try to do something differently
Starting point is 00:01:33 because these big budgets is just too much of a risk now is it because of the streaming is it because of the content is it because nobody wanted this movie i don't know i don't necessarily think that but i mean you can make that argument um there are other things that we're going to talk about also in regards to marvel there's rumors about breaking bad cats being cast in Marvel. MCU is it the right fit if both these particular actors are going to be in the in the MCU. George Lucas was talking some Star Wars stuff. Speaking of Star Wars, we got the Acklite right around the corner.
Starting point is 00:02:10 I did a poll today about the four shows that are coming out in June. I said, you can only choose one. What do you choose? And you choose in the Aclyte, you choose in the boys, you're choosing the bear, you choose the house of the dragon. There's a lot of stuff happening for sure. So there's some other stories that we'll get into for sure, and we're going to do the live portion. So I already see people already throwing in super chats.
Starting point is 00:02:32 I'll be here as long as you want me to be here. There's throwing those questions and we'll hit the main topics. And then we will get to the questions for sure, but I'll be here until the very last one. So don't you worry. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, anywhere podcasts are found. Make sure that you check that out. We got Patreon that's going really well right now. I had that Amazon list up there that people have been checking it out and people have been helping us out for the New York studio.
Starting point is 00:02:56 It's a whole thing that I'll get into in just a little bit about the way that the background is going to look in the new studio and we'll discuss all that and more. So it is the big thing here today on the show, me and you guys. Let's do it. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the big thing, live edition on this holiday today. We have a, what a week we have this week, obviously. go see that movie, the bike riders, tomorrow. Tomorrow night? Yeah, I think I can put a social reaction out on it. I'm not sure yet out of the theater. I'll find out. I am going to do a review and I have my out of the
Starting point is 00:03:50 theater for if. I saw it late, but I'm going to have that up probably today at some point. So look out for that. Tomorrow's a big episode for the big thing in general. Now, whether you're into the UAP topic or not, actor Thomas Jane from the expanse and the Punisher obviously and boogie nights. I spoke to him for about an hour on 98% of it all about UFO stuff. And we talked, I did ask him about Marvel. I did ask him about the Punisher if you've been approached. So you can check that out. It's a great interview in general because of the passion and the knowledge that this guy does have for the subject. So we'll be talking about that. We have Mike and Steph are back on Wednesday. Roxy and Brett are back on Thursday. And of course, Winston and Coy, which
Starting point is 00:04:38 We'll do a few more shows that lead up to the last show that we'll be doing in studio with these guys. But I think what I'm going to do, I have to talk to them yet, but I think that what we're going to do is we're going to have a New York show in studio. I have some people that I'm thinking of, which will potentially land on either the Wednesday or Thursday. Well, what about Mike, Steph and Roxy and Brett? I feel like what I'm going to do. And I brought this up on one of my shows. You guys have been asking for like an almost like an old school S-E-N, you know, Schmachau. no live show type thing. And I thought, why not try to put that entire crew together for once a week
Starting point is 00:05:14 live, where we would do me, Roxy, Brett, Steph, Mike, do one big kind of mega show once a week. And I'm working on it. I think that's what it's going to be. And there's a lot of things that I can out do. I found out you guys know I don't love Streamyard, but I found some things that I can do on Streamyard that makes it a little bit more easier. And I can actually use once I have my better computer, because you'll see this is okay though the today but I can do some more stuff on OBS now that we figured out how to do so that will be something I'm excited about also um I do I want to address something because this is something that I am I was posting on I think it was yesterday or today I can't remember yesterday I think we're going to do you know if you look at the new studio there's like
Starting point is 00:06:02 these white brick walls that prep put up we're going to paint them over probably going to paint them like a gray or something along those lines, but most of you understand that we're going to hang stuff and put stuff in the back. And my wife's helping me out. We're taking like images of movies and things to that nature and like classic ones and not just movies, but things that kind represent me and what I do. And I, and I were a lot of, and I asked people yesterday, what would you put? And I said, don't suggest a lot of Star Wars stuff because I'm probably going to have Empire Strikes back out there. Probably have the throne rooms or the scene with, with the, the Vader and Luke Sabre saying, I found a really cool image. I'll probably put that up. But I didn't
Starting point is 00:06:35 want, I knew that most people would just be, well, put this from Star Wars, put this. And I don't, I'm not doing a full Star Wars thing. And so some people, you got to put some Star Wars. I'm going to put Empire up there for sure. And I saw a comment from somebody who I love there's probably in here right now. One of our, one of our, um, regular viewers who is sent something along the lines like, because I said, well, someone asked why you're not putting Star Wars up and some and he, this particular viewer wrote back. Uh, it's sad to see how much he hates Star Wars. yet. And I said, well, what video are you commenting on? Because it's clearly not me. I'm hating on it. No. Am I disappointed with it? Yes. Hating on it is to me when you do hate videos on anything.
Starting point is 00:07:16 And it's also essentially this hate that if you like it, then I would then project that hate onto you and make you feel bad and call you names because you like it. I said it many times over. It's like a baseball team for me. It's a team or any sports team that I'm a fan of, not happy with the coaching. that happened with some of the lineup. But that's my choice. And I'm just like, I'm just not, right now. I'm just not loving it as much. But hating it is a very, very strong word.
Starting point is 00:07:44 And I said to the particular person, I said it's an irresponsible comment to say that because it's the problem with the internet that if you don't like something, and we make this point all the time, if you don't like something, and you give your reasons is why you don't, and people will label you
Starting point is 00:08:02 certain words, you're a hater, you're this. And the opposite side is true. If you are a big fan of everything and you go to things and people call you shill, people call you this, I mean, I've been on both sides of it. But it's one of these things that I saw and I'm like, come on, let's not do that.
Starting point is 00:08:19 And this again, this is someone who I really respect on consistently on this channel, whether it's throwing in super chats asking questions, commenting all the time. And I said, you can't do that because that's not what it is. there's you can say in in that in that comment it's a bummer that he's not he doesn't he's not as excited about it as he used to be that's true that's true that's fact um but when you label and you start calling names and things of that nature and there's this tons of things too i saw people
Starting point is 00:08:50 there were people that doing things that are consistently it's like this this is this wasn't this particular thing wasn't this but there's moments people trying to do gotcha moments and things like that and you laugh because you're like you don't really know what you're talking about and I don't think this is the gotcha moment that you think it is um but you got to you as you learn you and you navigate the space and you know my my daughter was talking yesterday about social media and getting on TikTok and all that she doesn't want to do it because it's just it's just tough and I do think that is interactions I feel like I've spoke to this person we had this conversation like what I'm having with you guys right now I can't hear you
Starting point is 00:09:31 right now, but I feel like we're sitting across from one another and we were speaking to one another and we had this particular conversation. I think we both face to face, you know, have a conversation and say, oh, okay, well, I can, I can see that. Well, I just, when I was listening to you and you said that you didn't like the trailer, you didn't like this, and I had Matt Sarah on the other day. And Sarah's not a hateful person. He has very, very strong opinions. I don't agree with all his opinions. But there's a difference between being hateful and being skeptical. And also, you can disagree with people's opinions all the damn time, whether you like him or not. But I had someone commenting on that. So you shouldn't have him on your channel because all he's doing is he's hating.
Starting point is 00:10:15 I'm like, he's, he's not. He's got strong points of view. And he's, and I know Matt. He's not a hateful person at all. It's actually quite the opposite. Very passionate. Passionate is a fair word. So this is some of the things that I read over the weekend. And I was like, I don't know. it's it was more or less because I want I also want the the studio to be represented in in a I mentioned I'm stand-up comedy uh whether it's I don't know maybe it's the Yankees maybe it's I don't know what it is but there's a bunch of different things that I want to put in the back and we're going to do like kind of like a collage and that's just what's going to be behind me there's going to be stuff that's behind the guest there's going to be stuff in the waiting room
Starting point is 00:10:53 there's going to be it's going to be a lot it's it's I want to do and I'll do like a full tour of it all so you guys can see it. So that's that's kind of, that's where I'm at. I'm very curious. And I'm actually very, very interested to speak with all of you today on the, when we do the, the questions at the end. So if there's anything that you want to know, anything about the New York studio in general, anything that I just addressed, throw that in the super chest. We'll get to it later. But I do want to discuss, I think it's very relevant to talk about. what's going on here and here is this uh sort of furios okay check that out that's the one of the things i can do now with o vs which i like much better than the way they do it dreamer it anyway uh okay
Starting point is 00:11:44 furiosa it's not doing too well furiosa mad max saga and the garfield movie debuted over the memorial day holiday weekend and it's not going so well furiosa is a reporter it's a report is headed for an 11 million haul when it released. Overall, as you see right there, it did 25.5 million, I think on like a $160 million budget. The Garfield movie did 24.8. If did 16.1 and Kingdom of Plenty Ifs did 13.4 with the fall guy at 5.9. Now, if you look at, I'm going to, I'm going to look at what if did because I saw if over the week. If has made 103 million so far over the course of two weeks. right so Furiosa Mad Max has only made 58 million worldwide that's a big that's a big problem now
Starting point is 00:12:34 it could it could have a I don't know if if I guess I don't know what the budget is on that one I can't imagine as big as Furiosa now Garfield though Garfield made almost 100 million this weekend worldwide and Kingdom of the Planet of the apes is ready is almost at 300 million so it's it's weird let me let me I'm going to check this shot though too if it's glitchy I'll if it's not glitch, I'll leave it. Let me see if it's glitchy. If it's not no, not glitchy. I can leave that up. That's not bad.
Starting point is 00:13:07 I'll do that. That works. Cool. Maybe it is glitchy. You guys tell me if it's glitchy. If it's glitchy, I'll turn it back, but I think it looks better that way anyway. So I think that there's a lot of there's a lot to talk about here in general, right? The first is
Starting point is 00:13:26 Apes is close to like 300. million and I think that it'll tap out between 400 maybe five it's lucky but probably not um but it's on it's on par for what it's for what the other ones did it's in the same zone okay so that that one did okay ball guide not so much it's still it the less less of a drop last week it's doing better and it also shows it because it's already on video on demand and people like oh well it's on video video on demand, that means that it's in trouble. It's going to lose you more box office.
Starting point is 00:13:59 It wasn't the case. It didn't have much of a big drop-off. And the other reason why, which you have to understand is, and this is something that I was thinking about the other day. When video on demand, you automatically think, oh, well, they're selling it for like five, six bucks. And it's, it's, you got to, if you're going to rent it, it's like 25 bucks.
Starting point is 00:14:15 So you're better off going to the movie there right now. Because it's on video demand, sure. But it's, yeah, It's expensive. Anyway, so that is a question. Well, Fall Guy, still not going to make money, but it's at least it, it, the less of the drop off, right? If did okay opening weekend. And then I went and saw it with my two daughters yesterday. And we saw it at 1.30 in the afternoon. And it was packed. It was pretty packed. I'll get my full review on it. But I thought it might, I've been telling
Starting point is 00:14:50 you guys, my six and a half year old was very very. very excited to see this movie. And I asked her, I said, Macy, did you love this movie? Did you not like it or did you like it? She said, I liked it. The oldest liked it a little bit more. She got a little emotional a couple times. But I thought it was a, that to me was a movie that if I would have watched on television with them, I would have, it wasn't something I, I don't think I needed to see in the theater. I wanted to. And I, and I think, you know, the most magical part about the whole movie was Michael Jekino's score. They, really relied on it to get the tone across when some of the emotional moments could have done that.
Starting point is 00:15:29 But nonetheless, it still was crowded, very crowded because it's right now the own, well, that's not true. I was going to say it's the only game in town as far as kids go. But that's not true. Garfield. I mean, look at Garfield. Garfield didn't matter what the critics thought did almost 100 million worldwide. So that movie will be the until despicable Me Too, I think, or is it?
Starting point is 00:15:48 No, no, no, no. It's an inside out. too, I think comes out first. So that will, that once that comes out, that'll put Garfield and if to sleep. But until then, there's not a lot of stuff to see with your family. So I think that's why both of those movies are going to wind up in the long run doing well. So the overall conversation then goes to Furiosa, what happened, right? Well, first of all, it's the same old conversation.
Starting point is 00:16:14 It costs too much money. It costs too much money. You can't, I mean, I know that it was probably made before all the strike stuff and all stuff too. It's the first movie, or first movie, but the last movie, Fury Road was a really great movie. It didn't do like Gangbusters box office. It did good. But not enough to warrant to me almost a $200 million sequel. I, it was even the conversation that I was having with Brett and Roxy and everything and most people that I was convinced that Apes would do better than Furiosa because of that particular reason. I remember having that bet with like Ace and JTE and all them back then and
Starting point is 00:16:49 and talking about how I didn't think it was going to have this big, huge opening that they thought it would. And it turns out that people really, when the Mad Max fans really enjoy this world, it hasn't crossed over all the way to this big blockbuster, it can get to a billion dollars thing. There was no way it was going to make a billion dollars. Plus the fact, Mad Max is not the star of the movie. It's the first Mad Max movie without Mad Max. Now, I like the movie. I like the movie a lot, and I thought it was just a pure spectacle,
Starting point is 00:17:22 and I thought Annie Teller Joy was great in the movie. Chris Hemsworth to me stole the show, but it is not the lead. It's not the lead character. A lot of people went to go see it doing a spinoff movie for $160 million or whatever it is. That's a big risk that didn't pay off. Now, couple that with the idea that we know that theaters in general have been going down, that's going to add into it.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Plus, it's streaming. And it's, that's a big risk. It's a big risk. And it's a bummer because I don't think we're going to see the Mad Max story that George Miller wants to do because it's too much of a risk now, I think. I think because they took this big of a risk, now it's going to be a risk. And they're going to think nobody wants to see it. And I don't necessarily know if that's true.
Starting point is 00:18:13 If they got Tom Hardy back, that they probably could. It's the first movie, the first time that, you know, know, and you teller Joy is doing Furiosa at all. And I thought it was a great job, but it's an introduction for the first time and asking people to say, oh, I'm going to spend X amount of dollars. And then you have all these other movies that are coming out. What's coming out? You know, as far as June goes and are they going to save people, people saving their money?
Starting point is 00:18:40 And I saw somebody even in the comment section going, okay, we're going to do, we're going to wait and save our money for Deadpool and Wolverine. that movie's going to do well. That movie's going to do very well. And that is going to be the theater experience. But people, it's becoming more and more of a, I don't necessarily think I need to go to the movies thing to see this. And I'll tell you what it is also is an absolutely,
Starting point is 00:19:07 and I know that we goof about it, people are terribly behaved in the movie theater. Terribly. I went and it's like, it's like, it's guaranteed now. I am lucky enough that I can go to these press screenings. And the behavior there, because most people are never their job, 95% is always wonderful.
Starting point is 00:19:30 It's always wonderful. You don't get a lot of phone stuff. You don't got to get a lot of that. I went to the movies yesterday at 1.30 p.m. And there was this guy. And he probably was 6-4, 6, 5, something along those lines. and he sits down in front of me and he's and and it's just he's got to let everybody know that he's there he's making noises he's doing this with his family takes his wife hugs his wife that's fine
Starting point is 00:19:58 affection sitting on his lap okay that's affection before the movie started and that's whatever that's cool love i'm i'm here for it then the movie then the movie starts i have my he i have my my leg up like this but but it's crossed off and on enough to me that it's not close to him. But he decides he wants to whip his head back like this. Now he's doing this and he's whipping his head back. And he brushes my foot. And he looks back and I hear him say to his wife, should I say something?
Starting point is 00:20:31 I'm like, you better not because you were just picking up your phone in the middle of the movie playing games. You turn your screen down just a little bit. But you're playing this, doing that. Then you're snoring. Then you're moving your head around. You pop around. Then you take your shoes. off, feet exposed, putting them right on the back of the chair in front of you.
Starting point is 00:20:51 And I mean, it was like you're not in your living room. And this happens all over the damn place. Everyone plus ticket prices and popcorn and all this stuff. It's an event to go to the movies. We've said this. We've talked about it. We've covered this. And we keep talking about it.
Starting point is 00:21:13 But there's more and more and more merit to this. I think all of it adds up to it. It's like, and what about the people that saw Fall Guy? And what about the people that saw apes, right? Those people that saw those movies. And they're like, well, that's the movie that I'm choosing. I'm choosing Fall Guy. I'm choosing Apes.
Starting point is 00:21:33 And they didn't see Furiosa. It's not like it was back in the day where people are going to see three to four movies a day. A lot of you guys will, three or four movies a month. A lot of you guys will because you're movie fanatics, your movie fans. You're going to do it. You want to support the theaters. You want to see things in the theaters, of course. But the expansion of the mainstream audience in general,
Starting point is 00:21:57 that's what is changing because of all the streaming stuff and everything too. And I'm convinced of it. Convinced of it. I saw somebody that I ran into somebody yesterday. And I was like, what are you going to see? Apes. It's the movie we chose this month. He was with his two daughters.
Starting point is 00:22:12 And they chose apes. They didn't choose if. They didn't choose it. It shows that that was their movie for the month. So I think there's just a lot that goes into it. And I think it's going to be one of these movies, Furio, so I'll wait for it for Max. And it comes out on Max and people go, oh, it was a good movie.
Starting point is 00:22:29 But it is a movie. I feel very much so that you need to see in theaters. It is, I mean, the sound, the sound is like was just so damn good. And I thought it was directed really well. I was engaged in the story. And it seems like the most people who saw the movie seems like that most people either really liked it, thought it was fine.
Starting point is 00:22:55 But not a lot of stink bomb comments coming out of it, not enough for people to go, it just didn't look. There's a lot of interest from the casual fan. And that's who you got to get in a $170 million movie. You have to get. You have to get the casual fan. Are you dead? You're dead.
Starting point is 00:23:12 And that's why I think, and I've said it a bit, million times over. And I know, I know you're tired of it. I'm tired of saying it when it comes to this movie and can you make this movie for $90 million? I don't know. 80 million dollars? I don't know. Maybe not. Shorten it up. Make it, make it shorter. Go back to basics. Go to do a movie like, you know, make it look more so like the road warrior. And is that another thing that people, I mean, I know Mel Gibson's got his thing. But I mean, he's going to be direct. the new lethal weapon movie. He's been in tons of movies since. Do you lower the budget and try to do a mad max movie with Mel Gibson? Or is you think it's too much of a risk? I don't know. Or just
Starting point is 00:23:58 leave it alone. Is it need and you know, different IP? I mean, people just not as interested. I don't know. It's a long conversation though, long conversation for sure on this one. So I'm very curious what you guys think put your comments in there let me know um okay before i'm gonna move on as i said i'm able to now maneuver this thing through obs which i love i want to tell you guys a couple things uh this this episode is sponsored by better help and better help as you know uh we've had people on the show and talked about roxy roxy talks about it all the time we've helped many times over and it's helpful to people in my household and other things. Starting point is 00:27:40 somebody there it is um all right we got some other stuff talk about i really do like this uh the fact that i can do this now through obs because i i'm so used to doing the obs stuff and now now i can still i can when i have uh when i have roc on i can use it too figure it out all right what's the next is we we had we had furio so we did that let's let's do let's do this let's talk about george jesus guys george lucas was on, I think it was Can. He was Can, and he was talking, and there's a lot of different stuff. There's tons of comments here that he had.
Starting point is 00:28:19 The first one I'll talk about is George Lucas talks about retirement, and he talks about superhero cinema in general. Dark Horizons. Hard to believe, but five years ago, Martin Scocese dropped an interview quoted that has echoed on for years by saying that superhero movies are not cinema. In the years since, many writers, directors, actors, have responded. Some taking the argument with that stance,
Starting point is 00:28:39 some agreeing with him. the superhero fans themselves have certainly had stuff to say. One of his contemporaries, his Francis Ford Coppola, who dubbed them despicable a while back. And now Star Wars creator George Lucas has weighed in with his own take. In a rare interview conducted a can this past week, where he was an award recipient, Lucas gave a 10-minute video interview to Brut, France and Brut France,
Starting point is 00:29:00 and was directly asked about Scorsese, not deeming superhero films a cinema, which he says, look, cinema is the art of a moving image. So if the image moves, then it's cinema. I think Marty has kind of changed his mind a little bit. He then goes on to talk about his work with Scorsese on the Film Foundation, which sets out to preserve cinema works.
Starting point is 00:29:19 He explained how he helps pioneer digital photography early, even as others he knew, like Spielberg and Scorsese, were initially advising him against and have now come around to it. In terms of the industry, he's not really into movies much these days. He said, the stories that they're telling are just old movies. Let's do a sequel. Let's do another version of this movie. There's no original thinking.
Starting point is 00:29:38 the big studios, they don't have an imagination. Don't expect him to get behind the camera and show him what's what, though. Lucas says he's retired and his other things to do. He said, now I'm retired. The last one I did as a producer was a thing called Strange Magic, which is an animated film. So I was doing movies that I wanted to do rather than I was financing myself and have my own studio. I'm building a museum in Los Angeles and it's keeping me very busy.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Absolutely love these comments. I love them. These are spot on, spot on on everything that he's saying. I think that he was very smart in the way that he answered the Marvel one. And he said, of course it's in cinema. And he even says, like he just had these conversations with Marty, who's changed his opinions a little bit too. And I think, I think Marty likes to poke the bear a little bit too.
Starting point is 00:30:24 I think Marty knows that, let me call him Marty. Like I had lunch with him last week. I think Marks Grasd says he knows that he gets more press and more eyes on his product when he takes shots at these things. So I think that's strategic. But as George Lucas says, this is, it isn't. And, and it, I don't, I don't think that's ever changed though with studios.
Starting point is 00:30:51 What he says like studios don't have an imagination. They're, they're trying to figure, especially now there. After that story we just talked about, they're in panic mode right now. They're in panic mode, not knowing what is working, how to make it work, what audiences want to see. They try to crunch the numbers. algorithms, they try to crunch it. They make bad, bad business decisions, but it's not like this happened yesterday. This has been happening forever. I can't even tell you the amount of stories of studio executives that didn't know what the hell they were doing when I was at Warner Brothers and
Starting point is 00:31:20 they were just so like, like, seemed like Wall Street people and not like creatives, but they're in those positions. That happens all the time. But they're on the same, on the same side of it, though, there are a lot of creative executives also. They really are. There are a lot of creative executives and I think that they take shots and there are things and I think that there are absolutely way too many remakes, way too many reboots. I don't agree with anyone that says that there is not original IP. There is original IP. You got to find it. You got to go to the streaming platforms. Now, if the argument is there's not a lot of big budget original IP and the studios aren't taking chances on, I'll agree with that. I'll take, I absolutely agree with that
Starting point is 00:32:00 because they don't want to take the risk on something that's not proven before. But now maybe they it will start to because even the stuff that's proven is improving anymore. So I think that that's, I think there's a lot that he says there. That's absolutely true. As far as retiring yet, yeah, he's, look, I've seen him a few different times. I've been looking at, again, not coffee in passing it, whether it's events or anything's too. And he's moving slower. He's, you know, he's older. Let him enjoy his retirement. You know, you don't want to do stuff at producing. I still think I'd like to see him do. He said he's not going to do that, but I like to see him produce. I just seem to do those things.
Starting point is 00:32:34 And I think he's still consulting on certain things when it comes to Star Wars. If someone calls him up and says, hey, what do you think? And he gives his take. And that's what he should, that's what he should do. He's earned it. He's earned it. He said more stuff, though, guys. He said more stuff.
Starting point is 00:32:48 So I'm going to get into some of these other stories and other things that he said. I think one of the, did he talk about, they did talk about the Star Wars side of it, but there's something else. Let me read this. He talks about the Lucas on the Star Wars revisions and Disney sequels. So with Star Wars creator and filmmaker George Lucas and Cannes this past week to receive an opam Dior, quotes and comments for him continue to pop up all over. The 80-year-old filmmaker speaking to a packed audience at the Debussy Theater talked about the criticisms level to his Star Wars films, both the originals and the prequels as we reported. However, he also made comments about the sequel trilogy and the other films made since selling off Lucasfilm.
Starting point is 00:33:29 He indicates via the Hollywood Reporter that Disney didn't use his existing ideas after. sold off the company and the corporate bosses didn't seem to quite get the property. He said, I was the only one who really knew what Star Wars was, who actually knew this world because there's a lot to it. The force, for example, nobody understood the force. When they started other ones after I sold the company, a lot of the ideas that were in the original got lost, but that's the way it is. You give it up, you give it up. Lucas also talked his various revisions to the film over the years using new technology to improve the films. He said, I'm a firm believer that the director or the writer or the filmmaker should have a right to have his movie be the way he wants it.
Starting point is 00:34:06 We did release the original on Laserdisc and everybody got it really mad. They said, it looks terrible. I said, yeah, I know it's it. This is what it looked like. The discussion comes as the new Star Wars series. The Acolyte arrives on the Disney Plus service. Early reactions on the series on social media hit yesterday and have been gushly positive so far.
Starting point is 00:34:25 And then, yeah, we'll stick with that. I'll stay with that. So I don't know, man. there's I don't I don't agree that I think once you make the movie and you put it out in the theater do you do you as a filmmaker do you have a right to go back and change it sure sure um I don't love the idea that taking it off of the shelves basically you can still find VHS versions and other things of the original Star Wars but basically say no that's not the one exists anymore that's the one I don't necessarily think that's the best play um I think you can make changes
Starting point is 00:35:00 to things if you want to. I think once you put it out in the theater and you really, I mean, making director cuts and things of that nature, I mean, sure. So I guess that's under the same banner. I guess I just replacing it completely. Saying you can either have this, you can have that, you can have this version, sure.
Starting point is 00:35:19 But I just don't agree with replacing it. And that's what happened, a lot of stuff. As far as the stuff that he's talking about, it goes back to the last conversation with studio heads. yeah that's what that I and it's what I talked about before where contrary to what whoever that was before you know whoever's talking about before saying I'm hating on Star Wars no I'm not I'm just I'm not I'm not I just don't love what they're putting out right now I hope I mean I love the world and as George was talking about the world is the world is to me my it's my
Starting point is 00:35:54 favorite thing ever love that world I want to see them do different things with it But I ain't shitting on you if you think it's great. And you love what they've been doing. I just happen to be more so on the side of George right now, saying, like, I don't necessarily think that they, they get it. From the stuff that I liked and some of the, even and some of the stuff that he didn't like, the books I thought got it real well. And I just am so confused why they haven't adapted those things.
Starting point is 00:36:24 But I think that what George is talking about makes a lot of sense. I think he makes a lot of sense in this one. in how this all went down. But I also will say, the other thing I never agree with, never is when people will say, I've seen Marvel's dead, D.C.'s dead,
Starting point is 00:36:41 Star Wars is dead, until no one is seeing the movies, and no one is watching the stuff, and no one is talking about it. That's when it's dead. Even close to dead. Now, if you want to put the argument in saying, the way that the unity in the fandom at one point on these things that'll be tough to come back for it.
Starting point is 00:37:06 I mean, it's essentially what Coy said the other day on Caps and Cows. It's a hard argument to go against. And a lot of people agreed with Coy. And a lot of stuff, Coy was Coy essentially said on Caps and Cows on Friday. It was that even if they, if Marvel came back into a whole bunch of great movies, it was going to be hard to get the fan base back on the same page. And I said, I don't know. I still think that there's a way if you're able to continuously make some good movies
Starting point is 00:37:33 and get people back on board in the same way that I saw it looked like the fandom and Star Wars. Because it's fandom and Star Wars after Last Jedi was so split. It was like two political parties in my opinion. And when The Mandalorian Season 1 and Season 2, I was like, whoa, wait a minute. It seems like people are on board here. What's going on? And then they made some other shows and then it started to do this again. And then it's also people will make videos and stuff because it's like,
Starting point is 00:38:01 you know, it's hate sells, right? So, and that's probably one of the things that Koi was talking about. But I think that there's merit to what George Lucas is talking about with, not understanding. I think that's my biggest issue. I just don't think that the people in place right now were making Star Wars get it. What about Falone? I think he understands a lot of the philosophies and Star Wars in general and the stories in general I do.
Starting point is 00:38:31 I don't think he's the right guy to be running the overall, the overall creative for it. But we'll see. You just kind of start it. So I don't even know. As far as Ackleit goes, and it's hard for me to take merit. And if you're going to go, the majority of the things that we've seen, I haven't, I've been to a lot of these events, right? At the El Capitan and everything too. And I don't remember a lot of times when people have come out.
Starting point is 00:38:54 out of these things and the reviews haven't been positive, even on things that I'm like, I was okay. And things have been and people get excited about it. And it's and it's that and this is nothing, this is nothing against them and not saying that they're not being genuine. I think that they're 100% being genuine, but you're, you get, you get caught up in the, and it's different. Like, look, X-Men 97 was fantastic.
Starting point is 00:39:15 It was fantastic. Episodes 1, 2, and 3, which I saw at the El Caput Town was, all three of those episodes are really, really, really good. They were elevated even more because people, you, yeah, hardcore fans around you and it's like, it's like being in a crowd, if you watch like a stand-up set that you think is really good. And you watch it on TV in your house by yourself. That was really funny. That same set, if you put it in front of and you're sitting in the middle of 200 people, you're going to think it's even funny. So I think that it's, I want to, I want to see what starts to happen. Because I don't think the critics have gotten the screeners yet for Ackleck.
Starting point is 00:39:55 And this is what I said to Sarah when he was talking about. Sarah is like really, I think he's convinced himself that he's going to hate. I said, I can't, I can't get there because I haven't been, I haven't been, I've said it many times over, it was my number one kind of,
Starting point is 00:40:09 I was so, I was anticipating this show because of the time period and everything too. I haven't loved the trailers. I haven't loved the trailers, but I'm crossing my fingers that the lore and everything else that we see is going to be a very different and detailed story in an era that we haven't seen in live action.
Starting point is 00:40:27 That's my hope, and I'm crossing my fingers for it. I think that the fight scenes that I've seen so far, I've looked great. This is my, and this is like the same thing that we're talking about with George Lucas, right? When you guys look at that, does that look like Star Wars, or does it look like the Matrix? Or like a martial arts film, which could blend in and work great. but it didn't it didn't feel it felt more so like like a like a martial arts film than it did Star Wars for better for worse I don't know yet we'll see it when it comes out could work and go look this style really worked well or style ain't working but that's what I'm thinking and I'm
Starting point is 00:41:10 so curious to hear what you guys are thinking do you guys agree with George's comments overall what do you think we have a couple more stories that we're going to talk about here and I would also, as I say, each and every time, I saw a bunch of people already put in the super chats, and I'll get to them. So if you have questions, you want to talk about Star Wars? You want to talk about what Lucas's comments? You want to talk about the movie business in general?
Starting point is 00:41:32 You want to talk about the studio in New York, anything in general. You throw those questions in there. And then once I get past all of the main topics, I'm going to get to all those questions. And I'll be here until the very last one on this holiday, everybody, on this holiday. So let's get to this story here too, which I think was a good one.
Starting point is 00:41:49 Um, we did that one, right. Oh, this is Netflix story. This was interesting to me. And I think it kind of, this, this is something that Sarandos has said. This is Netflix chief talks Barbie, reindeer and AI. Ted Sarandos has done a major interview with the New York Times, touching up on a number of topics over the past year, ranging from the cinema success of the Barbenheimer event to the company's own recent and controversial hit baby reindeer. In regards to Barbie and op. are becoming such major cultural events. Sarando says those being streaming, excuse me,
Starting point is 00:42:25 says those being streaming releases rather than cinematic releases would have been just as big in terms of generating conversation and talk. He says both of those movies would have been great on Netflix. They definitely would have enjoyed just as big of an audience on Netflix. So I don't think there's any reason to believe that certain kind of movies do or don't work. There's no reason to believe that the movie itself is better in any size of screen for all people. My son's an editor. He's 28 years old and he watched Lawrence of Arabia on his phone. One difference is headlines about financial success with Barbie, generating $1.45 billion at the global box office, while Oppenheimer made $976 million.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Of course, Netflix has found itself in the cultural conversation lately with Richard Gads' baby reindeer about Gads' life and his experience dealing with a stalker. Sarandos says that Netflix's algorithm is behind the show's success as it recommended the show to international audiences and has taken a property like that much further than it would have gone conventionally. So there was a time when something like baby reindeer would not even be seen in the United States. And if it did, it'd be on PBS once. It's very, very big in the UK. And in that way, the Netflix does. It gets picked up in the algorithm and starts getting more and more presented. Because when something gets that big in one country, it's likely there's a lot of audience for it
Starting point is 00:43:39 outside of that country. And it's been an enormous hit around the world. Sarandos talks about how business is aggressively forward-looking and how that was reflecting in the way that they handled the move from physical media rentals to streaming. It's in periods of radical change in any industry. The legacy players generally have a challenge, which is they're trying to protect their legacy business. We entered into a business in the transition where we started mailing the DVDs 25 years ago. We knew that physical media was not going to be the future. We didn't spend any time trying to protect our DVD business. As it started to wane, we started to invest more in streaming. And we did that because we knew that's where the puck was going. At one point, our DVD business was driving all the
Starting point is 00:44:16 profit and the business and a lot of the revenue and made a conscious decision to stop inviting the DVD employees to the company meeting. We were that rigid about where this thing was heading. Finally, he broached the topic of AI and says he's no less invested in the transition to using net tech. He said, I think that AI is a natural kind of advancement of things that are happening in the creative space today. Volume stages did not displace on location shooting. Writers, directors, editors will use AI as a tool to do their jobs better and to do things more efficiently and more effectively. I don't believe that an AI program is going to write a better screenplay than a great writer or is going to replace a great performance or that we won't be able to tell the difference.
Starting point is 00:44:51 AI is not going to take your job. The person who uses AI well might take your job. That's a great quote, whatever you believe there or not. It's a great quote. So similar to Lucas thing, some things I agree with, some things I don't. I think he's in Netflix. he's the Netflix chief. He's the guy. Of course, he's going to say, those movies would have done just as well on our platform. I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:45:15 I think that maybe the algorithm picks it up and, and pushes it around in the same way that that show did. But both of those movies were an experience. And I can tell you as far as Barbie goes, when you walk to Barbie and there are people who are dressing up and taking pictures in the toy thing and going, it was an event. That was an event thing.
Starting point is 00:45:35 So could it have done as well as far as reaching, an audience. I get his point. I understand what he's trying to say. But those two movies in general were movie experiences. Now, when you look at certain things that this just shows you, and we've talked about this from the Schmo's days back in 2016, when the movie star really is not the one who's selling the tickets, but someone like Nolan, Christopher Nolan sells tickets now. And I think that coupled with Barbie and that was coming out in the Barberinheimer thing, that added to it. Would Barbenheimer had been a thing if they both released on Netflix the same day. No, it was a, it was a movie theater thing.
Starting point is 00:46:14 But I get him saying. Addressing the AI thing, I understand people's hesitancy and the worry, but I think that what he said is right when it comes to the, it's not people losing their jobs to AI as much as it is losing to the people who are using AI and people who are learning how to master it. I think that like any other tool though or any other thing, it can be abused. And I think that that is what we've got to. And that's not just for movie stuff.
Starting point is 00:46:43 That's, that's in general is what, what is AI going to be doing down the line for us? I mean, you got these self-driving cars now. And I don't even know you guys can tell me the self-driving cars that they're using. Is that AI stuff? If not, it's going to be. I saw something on Twitter the other day with a freaking robot serving drinks. it looked like a damn human. And I don't know if it was just a human acting like a robot,
Starting point is 00:47:05 but they said it was a robot. That scared me, guys. It was, it put down the, the food and it walked away. And I said, eventually there's going to be AI stuff and everybody probably working on it. So it's scary stuff,
Starting point is 00:47:21 but it is, it's here. And I know, I, I've seen it in the comments. How many people are like, yeah, just because it's here,
Starting point is 00:47:27 doesn't mean we have to accept it. I understand, but it's to this place in the same way as social media. Look, if I can go back in time and tell everybody, don't use social media. And as much as it benefits me on, from my business, I say, don't do it. I think we've, we've lost the communication and we've lost, we've become numb to the way we speak to each other and certain things that we do. And I think social media has been a downfall. I just watched social media, the social network.
Starting point is 00:47:56 I watched it on the plane. I was coming back from New York. Such a great movie. But the whole time, I was like, I was. wishing that I could step through a portal and just rip that thing out of Zuckerberg's hands. Don't do that. Don't do that. Stop this. Um, but the, the comments by Serranos overall, I think for him as an executive, the things that he's talking about and the, the, the algorithm, which makes a lot of sense. And we've been talking about that with how the algorithms are changing
Starting point is 00:48:24 on every platform, whether it's YouTube and Facebook and all these things. And speaking of which, if you're a subscriber of this channel, if you don't have those notifications, on, please turn them on. If you watch these videos, please throw a comment in there and click the like button more than ever is so important now because of the way that this algorithm works on YouTube now. So just be aware. If you're if you're here, you're throwing the everybody who's live chatting right now, that helps for the live algorithm. So the next time we do another live stream, oh, people watch these things. People get in it. They're interacting. If you're watching on the replay, comment, talk about it.
Starting point is 00:49:03 That's what helps. So the algorithm on Netflix, it made a lot of sense. Very popular in one country. So like, oh, people like this in one country, what do you guys think about it? And they push it over to other people. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:49:15 It's a good way to market their own stuff. So it all made sense. To me, you know, a couple things I disagree with, but what do you guys think? Again, put your comments in there. Tell me what you think. I want to hear it.
Starting point is 00:49:27 I want to hear what you guys are feeling about these comments in particular. I see more questions are coming in. I'm going to get to them very, very soon, but I have one more thing I think that I want to discuss here that we've, let's see. It's two more things. We'll go to the MCU because there's two MCU things that I saw. And Blade was the,
Starting point is 00:49:46 so this is Blade and Thunderbolts. There's filming talk here. It's Garth Franklin over Dark Horizons. The first thing here is not a lot of news is out there right now on a dead quiet Memorial Day holiday weekend. So there are rumors. that are gaining some attention. Daniel RPK is reporting that a new writer is currently being sought for Blade to give the script yet another overhaul. Scrooper indicated that Marvel has
Starting point is 00:50:12 finally nailed down the story and now it's just about polishing things up. As a result, filming is expected to continue as planned with shooting taking place later this year in either Mexico or Brazil. The film has gone through multiple directors and writers in the nearly five years since it was announced back in 2019. Casting call has reportedly gone out for the main male villain, but character specifics weren't revealed. Aaron Pierre, doubt out of playing a villain role a few weeks back.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Officially, the Jan Demange directed Blade is still set for November 2025, and if it does begin filming this fall, it might take that time. Then again, Marvel's 2025 slate is already overcrowded, and if any of the films is getting pushed to 2026, it's probably this one. Scooper also adds that a writer and director is also being sought on for a fifth Thor film to shoot in fall 2025. As today, Scooper Alex Perez says Marvel's Thunderbolt's film isn't so much a team-up film as it's just a Black Widow sequel the same way Civil War was a Captain America sequel. Elena is handling Red Room remnants and then gets sidetracked with Thunderbolts.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Three characters from Black Widow appear here, so the film being tied to Black Widow is, isn't a shock, the inclusion of Bucky and US agents suggest strong the Falcon and Winter Soldier links to. Okay. So when we first start and we get to, um, sorry, the Thunderbolts. Yeah, I mean, I think that the more and more they pushed with Florence Pew and she is definitely one of the biggest names attached to it. And she's been the one who's been doing a lot of social media posts and they've been asking more stuff. There's been rewrites. There's been things, maybe they're making it smaller, but still relating it to this thing.
Starting point is 00:51:56 and then you kind of take some of the formula from the old phases one through three, give me a good kind of film in general, set it up, and then that ties into wherever we're going in the long run, right? As far as Blade goes, I understand and agree that if there's one movie that's going to be able to get pushed, it's Blade, but again, I hope it stays where it is. But I don't think even if it gets pushed, It's not one of these things. What will happen, unless you're paying attention to it, you will think, oh, this movie's in trouble.
Starting point is 00:52:31 It's getting pushed again. That's not the case this time around because as they reported and it seems like they know the story now they just need somebody to take the story that they've come up with and write it. And that makes sense. And the question is, can they lock it down in time to hit that release date? And I hope that the answer to that is yes. I hope that they can get to that point because pushing it again, moving it again, and then how does that play overall in linking up to all the other movies and the MCU in general?
Starting point is 00:53:01 And speaking of the MCU, the last one, last story that we got for the MCU right now that I wanted to bring up. That's, it's rumors, but still fun rumors nonetheless. And I think is it this one? Oh, that's not that. Do I not have it in here? Oh, shoot. I don't even have it in here.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Oh, no, there it is. I got it. Okay. So there's a rumor now about two breaking bad stars, as you see him, right there. It's not too much of a surprise anymore. But two Breaking Bad Stars, there's a Marvel tease. Now, a few weeks ago, Breaking Bad Star actor Jean-C Carlo Esposito confirmed that he's joining the MCU during the CCXP convention in New Mexico City. At the time, he teased he would not be appearing in a role many fans have suggested for him, such as Professor
Starting point is 00:53:45 X, but a different role that will be new to the MCU. He also added, it comes sooner than later. Esposito popped up at another convention. This time, Phoenix Fan Fusion, where he added that his role will get a brief tease first, likely an upcoming Marvel film, before going on to a TV series like Disney Plus. The MCU is knocked on my door and it's a role you won't predict. It will be teased and there will be a series afterwards. He also reported that people will be surprised by the role. When a fan suggested he made an excellent Dr. Doom, he reportedly spoke, discussed his work,
Starting point is 00:54:20 and cryptically mentioned the line, talking it into existence and making yourself believe in it. He isn't the only breaking bad star that is scoring a Marvel Studios link today either. Scooper, My Time to Shine Hello is reporting that Brian Cranston has now met with Marvel Studios about a mystery MCU role. No further specifics were revealed. Esposito was rumored to met with Feige back in 2022 and it wasn't until this month. We got any word of his involvement. So even if the Cranston report's true, we potentially won't get confirmation for some time. Indeed, as comic book movie points out, Feige has general meetings with lots of
Starting point is 00:54:54 factors. So there's nothing to say that this would lead anywhere. Well, that is ultimately what I was going to say is that, you know, if you're meeting with Brian Cranston, that's great that you're meeting with Brian Cranston, you would rather sit down with him and go, yeah, let's find something for you to do. What is it? I don't know. I got this, this, this, this and this. What do you think? Or it could be like, hey, you really want you for this. And that could escalate things and make go pretty fast. Where that goes, I don't know, but I'd like to see him do something for sure. I'd like to see him be in it. I mean, it's Brian Cranston. So what it is, I don't know. I think that the more pressing conversation and more fun conversation right now is who the hell is
Starting point is 00:55:29 Jean-Carlo is Zito's going to be. And he could be anybody. I think that, I mean, he's just such a bad guy that you just think he's probably going to be a bad guy. But I think that's why the Professor X conversation was so fun because to see him as a good guy, he would be able to do that very easily. Now, is it, now the other thing that people aren't mentioning, and it's probably because he said it's a role that you haven't seen before.
Starting point is 00:55:57 But recasting as Kang. Pretty damn good Kang. Older. But who cares? It's a variant. So I don't think that's going to be the case, but it would be pretty good if he was. Either one of these guys joining.
Starting point is 00:56:11 I mean, we definitely know John Carlo is joining. Who he's going to be. Is it a role? Is it? And as they mentioned, you know, it could be Magneto. It could be a lot of it. Dr. Doom. Dr. Doom is an interesting one, though, too, because I feel, well, I was going to say that I feel like he should be younger, but maybe not because when you link him to Pedro Pascall, which could make sense also because of their relationship of Mandalorian and all that.
Starting point is 00:56:39 I don't know, maybe. I don't necessarily see him as Dr. Doom, but I ain't writing it. I ain't casting it. It's not who I would choose. I would still choose Henry Cavill. I know what's not going to happen. That's my choice. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:52 Those are the majority of the topics, guys. that we talked about today. So I want to get all your thoughts, all your comments about it, who you think people should play, put your comments in there for sure. And I see that we have a lot of, a lot of comments in here too.
Starting point is 00:57:03 You know, you know what I got to do? Ah, this might have to do it this way. Let me see, because if I do, if I do this, oh,
Starting point is 00:57:09 it does work. Okay, good. Wonderful. Okay, great. I wasn't sure if, if the super chats were going to pop up
Starting point is 00:57:16 if I was using OBS, but it did. So crisis averted. All right, before we move on, I want to tell you guys, and I've talked to you about it before, Perfect Gene. Starting point is 01:01:08 something. Try him. Perfect gene. AG1. All of our sponsors. I put the links in the description and I always pin it as a first comment. He's like, all right, I want to hear this. This idiot. He keeps telling me, I got to help his show. I got to help his show. I'm going to help his show. I'm going to and I'll be someone to get myself something. How am I going to do it? That's how you do it. Okay, let's get to tons of comments, tons of super chats,
Starting point is 01:01:29 and I want to make sure that I get to every single one of them. And so, and by the way, just because I am getting to them now and you're like, oh, I didn't get a chance to put the super chat in there. Put it in whenever you want. I'm going to be here until the very end. I'll be here into the end. So, and I see there's tons of them coming through.
Starting point is 01:01:46 So, and I always know, I'm going to guess because I haven't seen yet. My good buddy, Mike Joy, always puts the first one in there in the waiting room. So I wonder if he's going to be the one who gets it today. And we're going to try to break out. Let's see. Yeah, that's fine. Let's just,
Starting point is 01:02:03 let's just get to it on this holiday day. So whatever's, whatever's in there. Oh, I was wrong. It was wrong. Zahita K. I enjoyed the film,
Starting point is 01:02:11 Furiosa. I didn't love it. I think they overestimated the interest in a Furiosa story and the budget was too high. Maybe cut back 20 or 30 mil. What a comment. What a comment. They didn't say anything about, I don't woman in it,
Starting point is 01:02:26 and this, how that just said. They overestimated the interest in a Furiosa story. I think that's fact. Was it a good story? Did I like it? Yes. But did they overestimate a mass audience wanting to see it? I agree with you.
Starting point is 01:02:40 I think that they did. And the budget was too high. I agree with you. Cut back 20 or $3 million. I agree. I think it was an excellent comment. Right on the money. Pun intent.
Starting point is 01:02:51 And next comment. there he is just missing. Mike Joyce is hard to believe that a prequel to a movie that made nine years ago didn't do well. Hero didn't make a whole lot of money either. That's what I was saying before is that it made it did okay. It didn't it wasn't disappointing. It did it did good. It just didn't slam the way some people thought it was going to do because it was such a good movie. But yeah, it's a nine year old Mad Max movie without Mad Max in it. I think that it's it makes sense. but and especially you know i think they think they spent too much money but too much money and mike follows it up
Starting point is 01:03:27 fall guy premiered at south by in march the hype down died down by may also originally a march release and was never supposed to be a summer movie is that true fall guy i mean you very well could be true i thought that they were always slated for may and i knew that they were they're supposed to come out against apes and then somebody moved i can't remember something like that happened i can't remember something like that happened. I can't remember. But maybe you're right. Maybe it was March. I didn't, I didn't remember it moving from March, but that very well could be true.
Starting point is 01:03:57 And is it this interesting. Um, but so far guys are on it. And I'm agreeing with what you're saying here. Carlton Rudder when the 2024 summer season is over, we will say it got up to a slow start, but it will just fine with Deadpool Wolverine, despicable me and I fancy Twisters. Twisters is an interesting one because that could be the same argument of because like, look at Mike Joyce who said, does anybody care about something nine years later? Does anybody care about a sequel to a movie that came out in what? Is it 1999, I think?
Starting point is 01:04:27 Maybe a little later, but not much later than that. Without the original cast. So Glenn Powell is a star. So we'll see. I don't know, but Deadpool Wolverine is going to make a lot of money. But just and but and despicable me will make a lot of money. And inside out got a really. good reaction that trailer. I think that'll do well. And so Disney will have, Disney will have some,
Starting point is 01:04:54 and Disney has apes also, right? But I think that they can, the summer can recover. And it needs to have a couple of surprise hits besides these ones that were predicting to all. It needs a surprise hit. Okay. Let's see. Um, the nerd Calvin. Favorite actor, currently still circus yeah it's going to be hard for me to replace circus because i've just i've had the opportunity to have conversations with the guy also he's a family guy like like me um and i love his approach i love how hardworking is i love how talented he is uh and so yeah i mean as far as that type of status goes yeah it's still my favorite actor but as far as working today i'm a big gosling guy gossin's really really good actor decaprio has won me over so many times
Starting point is 01:05:49 like after it was after it was the departed was the one where i went from going all this guy does scream and to really think he's one of the best of all time revenant inception um so much so those are to the pop in my head but there's i don't see tom hardy as much but i'd like to see more tom hardy fast bender um but there's others that i'm probably just not thinking of right now for sure okay there's more coming in i see more more super chats are coming in keep them coming We can tell you whatever you want to, by the way. And we got a lot of comments in general that came in today. So I thank you guys.
Starting point is 01:06:27 Like I said, every comment, whether Supertent or not Supertod, helps the algorithm tremendously. Levi thought on Acclite reviews. Some reviewer who did not like past Disney plus Star Wars shows really had great things to say. That's great. See, that gives me hope. I don't know who the person was, but I also respect that person, whoever that was. Because they'll say like, okay, look, if you hated everything, you didn't like stuff, I should say,
Starting point is 01:06:52 let's give you guys this whole speech. He said to say people are hate something. I don't know if this person hated or didn't hate. But if you didn't like this stuff, you're like, I was let down by stuff, but this one did it for me, good on them. That's what you should be doing as a reviewer. Because I think that this is the thing.
Starting point is 01:07:09 I can guarantee you. I can guarantee you the videos that do like full on hate channels, full on hate channels that don't like these, even if you say anything positive about it or anything too, they come after your things. If those particular people watch it and loved it, they couldn't say it. Imagine if they did.
Starting point is 01:07:29 Their brand would be torn. But I don't know. I don't know. I got to see it. I don't know yet. Just have not liked the trailer. Let's see. Let's see the next.
Starting point is 01:07:40 The next one is a lot. Again, great comments here to it. I'm very curious of who that was, though, by the way, too. Okay, Mike Wesley. Hey, what's up, man? I guys the best. Hi, hey, C. See you at the store on Friday. Yeah, we have our, um, the show sold out.
Starting point is 01:07:56 It's my, Ellis is hosting and Eliza on the show. Myself, Rick Ingram, Justine Marino, my friend Martini, uh, Winston Marshall. It's going to be a, it's going to be a fun show. It's going to be the last LA show for quite a while. So, I'm glad that you're going to be out there, man. It's going to be a good time. It's going to be a good time.
Starting point is 01:08:16 I see more people asking questions here, good stuff. And also, by the way, if you want, if you guys, if you haven't suggested things that I should put up like scenes, let me know. Chris Wedslaph, I think Furioso will be like Fury Road and have a 40% of 45 drop weekly and have legs, especially word of mouth. I hope you're right. I hope you're right. There's not a lot of stuff that's coming out in June that, that is competing against that, like, you know, inside out and those other ones that would be the big one. in June. But maybe you're right. Maybe you're right. Maybe he's look at, look at even if or even look at Fall Guy, whose drop off the last couple of weeks has been smaller. Maybe you're right.
Starting point is 01:08:58 And that could very well be a thing. I mean, look at, look at, look at Aquaman. Aquaman looked like it was going to be the second one. Looks like it was going to be a big disaster. And it turned out that it had a lot of legs. And now granted, it came out in December. And it, it didn't have a lot of competition, but maybe Mad Max Goddard likes. It's certainly, that one to me had had more of an opportunity than I think Fall Guy does to bounce back. But the problem is, the problem is that it's not like it made like 70 or 90 worldwide. It barely made 50 worldwide.
Starting point is 01:09:37 So it's a big bounce back. So it might be tough. Uh, next one. Marv Rias, have you seen the unexplained on Netflix? Season 4, episode 15 was a UFO episode talking about things I never heard of. Maybe we're up your alley. No, I haven't. But you know what I didn't also?
Starting point is 01:09:53 So Thomas Jane actually reached out to me. He's really into the UFO thing. And I didn't know that. This guy is so educated on this stuff and certain the things that he was talking about. But then after I posted a pitcher that he was coming on, everybody started talking about the expanse. Everybody talking about how much they love the expanse. I got to watch that show. And I know it's not what you asked for,
Starting point is 01:10:17 but I have to, I have to check that out. The unexplained on Netflix. They cover a lot of, uh, UAP stuff. So I'll have to check that up. So,
Starting point is 01:10:25 right. Oh man, somebody said apes was so bad. Couldn't disagree with that more. I really like that movie. Mirror domains. Could Furiosa have worked better if the movie was reworked to have Furiosa go after Dementus after the events of Fear Road,
Starting point is 01:10:40 perhaps with the aid of Max? Maybe. Maybe. Now, would it, I, now that's tricky question. Worked better is maybe not a, not fair because I thought the movie worked fine. I thought it worked well in the story he was telling. Now, if the question is, would it have been more successful with what you're proposing? Maybe and probably if it was Charlize Daron and Tom Hardy going afterwards,
Starting point is 01:11:10 the sequel, would that have done better? financially maybe you got mad max and you got it it's easier to say maybe um okay again thank you to everybody who's see tons of questions coming in now more questions coming in now even more than already out there so i can't uh i can't thank you guys enough for your support mad sinister mccal always in here a gross bloody movie scene that made you look away um you know it was it it was this i think it's called irreversible is that what it was with monica ballou It's like there's a cup. There's like an assault scene that's really bad.
Starting point is 01:11:47 There's something with a fire extinguisher. It's pretty brutal. The one that I always think of. Pretty brutal. I think it was called irreversible. I think that was the name of it. I saw that. It was a long time ago.
Starting point is 01:11:57 I never watched it since. Okay. Oh, this one I do know about. So Gabe Oliveira, 805, great Yankees doc on Peacock, Bronx Zoo. Blame Ellis. He told all of L.A., where you're moving to in New York? Great. Perfect.
Starting point is 01:12:10 Thanks, Alice. but he uh he actually is the one who told me about the the yankee stock also i got to check that out but i'm not sure he told the actual town good for him perfect well i'll i'll talk to him about that when i see him um darren bairns excuse me just sending best wishes from the u.k thank you darren he's like very humbled every time i see people coming in from uk because apparently we have a very very nice audience over there so it's very kind that you guys are able to do that and watch Josh Needle. Studios need to scale down budgets and bring back 90 plus day windows.
Starting point is 01:12:48 Theaters need to reduce prices and have forced no phones, no talking until these things happen. It's going to get worse for theaters. I feel like I could have wrote that. Josh. Scale down budgets. Yes. The 90 day window.
Starting point is 01:13:02 Yeah, I wasn't on board with that one now when it first happened because I was selfish and I wanted it because I didn't want to go out to the theaters. I don't want to watch it with my family, but I agree. Theaters need to reduce prices. Yes. And enforce no phone, no talking rules.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Yes. They give you that stupid, like I'm telling you, they give a stupid thing of, don't silence your phones. There's nobody walking around doing it. You should have seen this guy. This guy was like,
Starting point is 01:13:26 it was like, it was almost comical how he was breaking every rule. Might as well just taking out a big, and started cooking a steak in the middle of it. Until these things happen, it's going to get worse. I agree.
Starting point is 01:13:38 It is all these things. It is all these things. these things. There's no doubt. Matt Sinister McCall following it back up. Furiosa was six out of a ten a letdown. $50 for my dad and made the theater. What is the best entertainment in 2024? It's a draw between the big thing and June 2. Thank you, man. Appreciate that. Dune 2 so far is it delivered. Apes to me, delivered. So somebody else who didn't agree, but apes delivered. But the big thing delivered, big thing delivered, perfect. Dune 2 delivered. I see that's the thing though that's the thing what you say up there if you're going to spend $50 for you and your pops to go see a movie and you don't feel that it's great and worth it you feel like you just lost 50 bucks and that's why people go if I'm not super hyped up about a movie I want to take that risk because if I because I know that I have all this other stuff June 2 just came out on max I haven't seen it in the theory I'm just saying hypothetically someone says this and they say I'm going to see that
Starting point is 01:14:40 Instead of going to say, I don't, I don't know Furiosa. I don't know what that is. I'll wait until that comes out. But do and I miss, I'll watch that tonight. You got a good size television. I'll do that. Plus, I don't have to deal with this freaking guy who taking his shoes off and cooking steak. So I get it.
Starting point is 01:14:57 I understand it. You feel like you, if you don't, if you didn't like it enough, it's kind of a waste of money. Was it worth 50 bucks is the question, right? That's what you start to ask yourself. Was it worth 50 bucks? And it can, and if you don't feel like it was, it could diminish your experience. experience. Jim one. I went to the movies monthly as a teenager in the 90s, but today's young generation stay home on their phones or consoles if it's not an event movie. Yeah, it's true. We had
Starting point is 01:15:20 this conversation, I think the last time we talked about this, but my brother brought it up where it's because there's just so many more options and things that you can do. And like even this, you can spend an hour doing this scrolling up, scrolling up, looking all these new things and you're entertained as opposed to driving out to the theater, spending the money on the movie, doing that. It's not like it used to be. where you like it was the movies was like a thing to do on the weekend plus it was only like five or six bucks so i think they need i think they need to reevaluate my buddy screwface john i think i heard you say furiosa is 25 dollars on max not furiosa no no uh so it makes more sense to go to theaters to
Starting point is 01:15:59 see it fall guy is 25 dollars on on vod right now but yes it makes more sense to see it in the theaters I did the math, two tickets, one large popcorn, one drink is 56 before tax. I still think streaming is a better option. Yes. If in, I guess it's the same conversation that some people had, which I happen to agree with you with, but to be devil's advocate, you don't have to buy the popcorn. You don't have to buy the snacks. You don't have to buy the, you know, you could, you could have the A list on AMC,
Starting point is 01:16:30 get of all these different things. So you could go spend less money on going to see Fall Guy than spending $25 on it. Your point is very well taken, but just saying, you don't have to buy those things, but yes, because we're creatures of habit. And if you're, I mean, I mean, I went and saw if with my two daughters and they both got popcorn and I didn't, but still, still dropping, you know, the tickets and everything is close to like 50 bucks.
Starting point is 01:17:04 Anyway, but yeah, your point is very well taken. And it's good to see you, man. I get you back on the show soon. Alex, Tournay, and thank you for that generous super chat, too, Scrooface, appreciate that. Alex Tournay, hey, Christian, happy Memorial Day.
Starting point is 01:17:16 Thoughts on WWE, King and Queen in the Ring. I enjoyed the show overall, and I was happy with all the outcomes. I hope Gunther challenges Cody over Damien at SummerSlam. He won't because they want to keep him, because he's got a better shot of beating Damien, and he's got a Cody right now.
Starting point is 01:17:31 They wouldn't want to taint that. They wouldn't let Gunther build up as they're building him up to be like the big, the big, big bat. And I didn't get to see a lot of it because I'm in this transition period between, I was in New York for eight days, came back, trying to catch up on everything, spent some time with the family. So I didn't really get a chance to do that.
Starting point is 01:17:47 I'm watching the show with my wife with Jennifer Connolly and, and Joel Edgerton. It's called Dark Matter on Apple, which I really like. So I was watching that. But I saw like the outcomes. And I think that the, it's interesting what happened with Liv Morgan and, and Becky Lynch, though, because I, I like what's the point of having back why didn't they just give live Morgan I guess I know the answer to this as I say it a lot but I was going to say why not just have live Morgan win the title she wins the title in that battle royal whatever it is and then you know she defends it against Becky but I guess it's like give Becky one more one more run she wins the belt she can put it on her resume she's another another championship run she takes some time off she spends it with her family um
Starting point is 01:18:34 And then Liv Morgan now will hold the title until Ria gets back. That makes sense. That makes sense. I get it. Okay. So, but from what I heard, it was a good, it was a good pay-per-view. I did not get a chance to check it out. I'll probably now have a little bit of time, not much time to breathe as we're getting ready to make the final transition from L.A.
Starting point is 01:18:54 to New York. Ralph, love how Lucas made money by plagiarizing Dune and now complains no one has original ideas anymore. Yeah, neither did you do. Ralph, and this is for my good buddy who said that I was hating on Star Wars. That's not fair. There's tons of movies over the years that have taken bits and pieces of things that they've loved and come up with different characters and different things. Plagiarizing is a strong word, taking a lot of influences from it.
Starting point is 01:19:31 And I know Dune's gone after him and everything too. I don't agree with that. I think that they've gone, I think that they've done certain things. And I think that George took a lot of different things from history. I think George took things from, from other mediums and Flash Gordon, Dune and other, other things and made it his own. But I, I understand it, but I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna follow you down that path, Ralph, but, but I understand it.
Starting point is 01:19:54 I understand where you're coming from. This is my buddy, Kingsport Cow. I want you to think was the most recent film that made you feel something. Also, New York studio will evolve. People will get it on board. Keep it up. You're the best. Really, dude, Calv.
Starting point is 01:20:10 You're one of my favorite people here because you're one of those peeps that you don't give a shit where it's like, I'm going to tell you what I think. We'll get it. We'll scrap a little bit. But I'm also going to tell you on the real how I'm feeling. And, and I'm also, and you've been one of our biggest supporters. So as far as the New York studio, yeah, yeah, it's definitely an involved. My wife is now involved in it, too.
Starting point is 01:20:33 So you're going to see a lot. of the studio is going to look great. I can't wait for it once we get back to to work on it. And then as far as a movie that made me feel something, I mean, apes, the last apes movie. I really like that movie. I'm surprised that more people didn't like it. And maybe it's the same kind of thing with Andor. I just thought it was very well developed. Thanks, Kyle. Appreciate that man. You're the best. Um, okay. We got more comments coming in. and I see it. I see it.
Starting point is 01:21:04 And I see a lot of people. Somebody said they just got rocket money. Amazing. Good. Thank you. Brett's John Vaught from Anaconda impression was peak hilarity. John, yeah, I mean, it was, it was great. It was really good.
Starting point is 01:21:17 And we'll be able to do more stuff like that. I think we're going to do, I like, I really do like the idea of making like a, you know, a new revised SCN live, flyer live type thing or Shmosno live, but with. the new crew and without the super the schmobot so um favorite underrated movie villain can't be popular oh man these these are always hard for me to answer because i gotta like i got to think i mean does long shanks count from braveheart it's not very popular long shanks is pretty damn it's pretty just as good so first one that comes up okay i'm gonna i'm gonna say yeah i'm gonna say long shanks he's pretty brutal.
Starting point is 01:22:02 Ron Zilla. Hey, Ron, what's going on? What turns me off of Disney Star Wars is the dialogue, especially when a character says stand down. It's current language of today. Yeah, there's certain things that they do as far as the current language. I just think that this needs to, I mean,
Starting point is 01:22:17 I just hope that my thing with that is I just want the writing to get better. It's like right there. It's right there. That's what I'm hoping. Age 1 was in Challenger's. That's amazing. I still got to see Challenger. I love that.
Starting point is 01:22:31 I love that they do that. And I love the people. Someone said, just got AG1. Awesome. Okay. Mad Senator McCalley, Oreo cookies for breakfast while watching Bloodsport.
Starting point is 01:22:44 You're a warrior. In order to get a high school diploma, you should be required to watch John Wick. Right, show. Thanks, man. Yeah, right? You should. John Wick.
Starting point is 01:22:53 Robby Rob in the house. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire passed 200 million this weekend. Is this a success for Sony? don't think so this franchise has always had a steady turnout for every movie lower the budget for the next one will be successful yeah let me see ghostbusters ghostbusters frozen empire budget um and oh 100 million for the budget which is still pretty small so you say did 200 200 worldwide did you 200 worldwide let's see let's do frozen empire box office mojo And that I think you were probably what you were talking about,
Starting point is 01:23:35 200 million worldwide. Yeah, 200 worldwide. Hey, I think that it's probably getting close to breaking even right now. So success, I don't know if it's success, but it's not a big loss. Why do people care about movie budgets someone says? Because if you don't, this is what I've seen this comment before too. And I think even Jeff Snyder has said this too, which I couldn't disagree with more. Because if you keep making these movies.
Starting point is 01:24:01 for the amount of money that you're making for this. There's a lot of different answers to this question, in my opinion, depending on what the movie is. If you put all this money into a movie to where you're focused on things that you are focusing on because you have the money to do it, whether it's more CGI, other things are making it big and grand. Some of the best movies are these smaller movies because they're forced to do things under the constraint of the budget that they have. So you get movies like Terminator than the first one. And yes, then you have more budget and you're able to put a little bit more into it. it and you use your money wisely, you get Terminator 2.
Starting point is 01:24:34 But then you get, if you have the money to spend and you overspend, the $300 million on an Indiana Jones movie, it dilutes the product. So as a fan, you would say, why are you spending that much money on this? Make a better movie, make a smaller budget. So that's why I care about the budget, because I'm like, why is it, why is it there? It doesn't, it doesn't need to be that much money. Focus on better quality stuff. So you care about the stuff that I'm,
Starting point is 01:25:01 watching. So I never, when people are talking about the, the whole, you know, well, you're not, it's not your money. What do you care? Because it, it's the product. It's the product that I care about. Um, okay. We're going to keep going here. And I think it was that the last one. Maybe not. No, no, I think there's some more coming in. Some more coming in. You guys have, have added quite a few. All right. MJF is still in the AW. I saw that. I saw him. He returned last night. And I liked his promo, but I don't know. Does that mean he's going to stay. the sign up, an extension? I assume so. I don't know. Armada. Okay, I feel like these studios are doing the same thing they did last year where there's a tent pole every week. Is it too much for consumers to invest with a big film coming out every week? Well, that's not last year. That's, that's been summer movie season. This is actually less than what it used to be. I mean, in like 2016, 2017 alone, you could get one or two big movie releases in the summer. Once, once April May hit, it was boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. The it's yeah, the same that has every that,
Starting point is 01:26:07 I mean, and especially next next year is going to be three times as much. So is it too much for consumers to invest with a big film? I mean, yes, and it shows how much it's changed and why people are picking. So I think it's all, it's all very true. And thank you again, Armada for the nice, uh, the nice super chat. I appreciate that. Um, okay. Is there, there's, yeah, more people are asking questions.
Starting point is 01:26:28 I like it. We'll be here until we're, uh, until we're done. Random Pat, do you think Furiosa would have performed better if it came out in 2018? Yes, I think they waited too long to release. Yes, I do. Not just because of the linking closer to the original, but also because of the time, the where we were, less streaming and all those things. Yes, I think they waited too long also.
Starting point is 01:26:50 I agree. Heroic hideaway. I saw Ministry of Ungenemy Warfare, and that was about three, fourth full for a 1 p.m. Show. Crowd wasn't as bad as usual. First time back since Oppenheimer. So where are you? because that movie has been out for a little bit,
Starting point is 01:27:05 but maybe they released it somewhere else too. But I'm glad that's another movie. I really enjoyed that movie too. I had fun with that film. That was a fun movie. I thought it was a blast. Chris Retzie off. Watch out for Ezra, May 31st, fantastic movie.
Starting point is 01:27:18 Got invited to a screening, so I should probably go see that, right? That's the one with Bobby Carnivali and De Niro, I think, right? Got to see that. Oh, there he is. Butt funnels here from Bonn Germany. Thanks, butt funnel. Enjoy a Germany.
Starting point is 01:27:30 Very, very, very nice of you. but funnel taking a nice little vacation or maybe it's where he's from i don't know uh joseph ashley this guy does so many great animations of um uh did you just trick me you just trick me um of the um of the big ball stuff which is great okay next one and i think we're we're almost we're almost there at the end there too guys again thank you for all of your support as always apple podcast Spotify if you have it. And let me know, by the way, in the chat, if you did get any of the sponsors today, would you please let me know? And I'll give you a shout out. I'll call. I'll call, yeah. Darth Vader's burnt assholes back. Furios's box offices on par with Fury Road.
Starting point is 01:28:15 It had 45 million open and ended at 380. Max has always been niche. I bet this does similar box office. You could be right. You could be right. I wonder, it's a matter of legs. And the only difference, again, this is post-pandemic, but we'll see. And I use, but I use, but I, use Aquaman 2 as an example that you can come back. The Ridler. In regards to the box office, I'm not surprised about what happened. This was the wrong film to release this weekend. It should have been Bad Boys 4. That's a good idea. By that's a good idea, but that's another movie. By the way that I mentioned,
Starting point is 01:28:48 actually Bad Boys 4 might take some of this box office away from it. I forgot about that one. Monica, R. This is the show. Thanks for watching, Monica. Staying in because it's too damn hot here in Florida. Oh, man. Yeah, it's brutal right there. We'll be seeing far from home to. tonight enjoying these Spider-Man re-releases. Yeah, people are enjoying it and we do like a full story. And I think again, Monica, that's very kind of you.
Starting point is 01:29:09 And nice. Thank you very much. Um, yeah, I think that it's nice to be able to go back and check out some of those old movies on the re-release for like five bucks too. It's awesome. Okay. So Boat Knight is the leading man or woman idea done? No, the leading man or woman idea to sell tickets is done.
Starting point is 01:29:27 But the leading man and woman of like, who is in your movie still counts. of who the star is still counts very much so. Randy. Avinel, thank you, Christian. Thank you, Randy. Very kind of you. Appreciate that. And thanks.
Starting point is 01:29:42 I mean, like I said, I'll be here. I see more people keep asking questions. I'm going to be here as long as you want. So we'll spend the holiday together. We have to have all day. Renee Reyes, Acclade is just not exciting. It seems like a story I've seen before.
Starting point is 01:29:55 It did seem a little generic in the trailer, but that's not to say, like, look, I always use when it comes, the trailers. I always used the day after tomorrow as a, um, is that what the day of tomorrow? We said that, which is the one with Tom Cruise. Is that with this? The, or love kill, whatever. I suppose that, what was the call? Whatever the hell it was called. The one where he just kept traveling by with Emily Blunt. That trailer stunk, but the movie is fantastic. So I'm hoping that's the case here. All right, Nick B, great show. Happy Memorial Day. Thank you, Nick B. I appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:30:32 It's very nice. Heroic hideaway, Michigan. Oh, it's Michigan. It's probably on its last weekend here. A lot of fun and I enjoyed Cavill and Richardson together. They were great together. I think that, I think they were, they were great together. It was a really fun movie, really fun movie.
Starting point is 01:30:46 I like what Guy Richie's been doing lately. The Riddler, my belief on Furiosis failure is because people thought it would be woke. I'm glad to say it wasn't. Theater's going to have lower prices. Yeah, I mean, that's the thing, though, now is that every time. I mean, if there's a woman in a role now, the lead role, like, oh, it's woke. They wanted to make sure they put a woman in the role instead of Max. And it's not what this movie is about.
Starting point is 01:31:08 The movie was based on a character that was, I mean, if you watch Fury Road, by the way, which I did right after I saw this movie again, I saw that sentence was terrible. I saw Furiosa and I went back and Brett and I watched Mad Max Fury Road for the second or third time. I can't remember. I think I've seen it three times.
Starting point is 01:31:28 Anyway, that movie is as much of a Furiosa story. as it is Mad Max. And now, was she popular enough to get her own movie? Box office might say no. But it's, woke,
Starting point is 01:31:45 not that one. I think there's times when there's forced stuff, but this, this to me wasn't one of those things. Okay. Haskell, 6 p.m.,
Starting point is 01:31:53 3 p.m., Big thing Patreon live. That's right. Me and, well, not big thing, Patriot in live. It's not,
Starting point is 01:31:59 it's just a month of Q&A is live. Right. And that's me. and and, uh, PLD. So yeah, if you guys aren't already joined a Patreon, come on over there and have a conversation with us. And we just kind of, we bring people in, the fans get to come in on video and talk about some stuff too.
Starting point is 01:32:13 And it's a lot of fun. So come on over. Uh, say it okay. Am I the only one who was shocked to find out budget for fall guy was 120? I didn't see that on screen. It was a bad decision. Shave 80 million off. Well, you can't.
Starting point is 01:32:25 Now with that cast. Now with that cast. You can't shave it. I mean, 120 today was, was 60 million, you know, 10, 15 years ago. And it's, it's just 120. That's 120.
Starting point is 01:32:38 It's cheap for a summer movie. Cheaper for a summer movie, maybe 100. But with Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt coming off of two, you know, Oscar nominated films, you got a pretty big cast in general, big kind of big budget stuff. You might be able to get away with 100. You can't shave $80 million off of that. Now with that cast, there's no way. not to make it that big, even a TV show, you know, um, okay.
Starting point is 01:33:06 Is that it? Maybe that's it, guys. I think that's it. All right. We did it. We did it, everybody. So thank you for joining us here today on the show. I think we had a nice fun show.
Starting point is 01:33:18 I, it was a, it was your holiday and you joined me for about an hour and 30 minutes. You got to talk about a lot of fun. Stop. One more. Robbie Roby Rob, Rob, Rob, didn't let me go yet. Robbie Rob, Rob, from Long Island. Happy to see you coming back to New York. Thanks, man.
Starting point is 01:33:31 take and need to take the family out to the east end of Long Island, lots of great things to do and great places to eat. Give me some suggestions. Give me some suggestions. I want to know. Yeah, thanks, Robbie Rob. And then the Ritaler Fook, NYC and come to Miami. I'll come visit.
Starting point is 01:33:49 I wouldn't live in Miami. Too hot. So thank you to those last two. I really appreciate. Thank you to everybody who joined here today. As I said, if you can join up. to one of our sponsors today. I know that I say at every show, I ain't lying. In order for us to keep going on this show, we got to keep getting these sponsors. And they keep coming back because
Starting point is 01:34:09 you guys are getting them. So if you have an opportunity to do it, do it. If you're watching on the replay, put your comments in there, do all that. Tomorrow, Thomas Jane on the UAP Tuesday show. So even if you're not into the phenomenon in general, come watch me talk with Thomas. It's a great conversation. So thanks for joining us here, guys, today. Rokush might be back next week, on. I don't know, but I'm really thrilled that I got my OBS hooked up to this thing now, so I'll be able to do better quality and all this things on here too with the crew. So thanks for joining us. Oh, every time I go to sign off, I got Kingsport Cal come to Tennessee if you're doing stand-up.
Starting point is 01:34:50 I'd like to. I'd like to do a full-on tour eventually. It's always been one of my goals. Just got to keep getting the audience up there. All right. Thanks, guys. We'll see you on the flip side. Peace. Thank you.
