Young was famous for his role in the Rocky franchise. Percy Jackson is set to be a fairly expensive show for disney. Good idea? Matthew Vaughn confirms that he has been talking to DC. This and more on today's LIVE episode of The Big Thing with Kristian Harloff and Brett Sheridan.

Starting point is 00:00:30 guy. Wow. And if you're on audio, you don't know who you're looking at. But we're doing a live show again today. It's me and Brett. And there's some stuff, man. I saw Lucasfilm and Disney. Well, Lucas film. Lucas film has been criticized forever for announcing projects and then, oh, it got canceled. This happened, this happened. Why they're announcing stuff so early. And Marvel's been guilty of it recently, too. It was a new juicy report, Brett, that says that Disney is to blame that it was Disney. pushing them to do it. Is that going to go, okay, we feel bad for you now? Or you're going to go, wait a minute. You're still doing it. Just say no. We'll have to figure out more about what that is exactly. RIP to the legend, Bert Young, Pauly from Rocky.
Starting point is 00:01:15 I got so many texts about this last night. We'll talk about the great Bert Young. Matthew Vaughn, you heard of him. We talked about him recently with him doing another Kingsman or the kick-ass reboot. he's also been in rumors about the DCU, the new DCU. He acknowledged with our buddy Josh Horowitz that he was talking to him and they were getting close. At least that's what it seemed like. So we'll talk about all of that and so much more today on the Big Thing Live.
Starting point is 00:01:48 That was a great intro by you. He did good. He did great. He did really good. Back to you, Alex. Welcome back. Who cares. It's nice to see everybody back today on the channel.
Starting point is 00:02:20 And we are now going to be doing one of these. I don't know how to rotate the shows yet on streaming around. I'm going to be opting on doing some stuff with OBS and working with Zoom. But for right now, this is what you got. So here's how it's going to work again today. We're going to go over all the topics that we picked out today. We'll have a discussion with Brett 9. And then you guys, as you did on Monday, which was wonderful.
Starting point is 00:02:42 If you have any questions you want to ask the two of us, me, him, whatever. Throw in those super chats. We'll get to them at the end of the show, but we'll be doing them throughout the show. So don't worry, if you put one in right now, it will get answered. I promise. You know,
Starting point is 00:02:56 I did a, Frank and I, Frank Janish and I did a couple of pizza reviews we're going to put up on the channel. I did a post, and most people have been pretty positive about it. The one thing, look,
Starting point is 00:03:05 I watched Dave Portnaud's reviews. I love his reviews, his pizza reviews. I think they're great. My funny thing is the person was going, well, don't do pizza reviews because Dave Portnoyne, does well wait a minute so so can I go back to 2008 when everybody after Mark and I
Starting point is 00:03:21 started doing YouTube movie reviews and tell them not to do it because we did it first that's the stupidest thing ever some guy today goes don't be a deep portenoid clone and don't we don't need pizza reviews so he's the only person that's allowed to talk about pizza first of all he no one's going to compete with that guy as far as pizza goes his pizza reviews are great I love his pizza reviews I watch all of them but I'm not going to not do reviews no because someone else does them it's like okay Can you please tell Chris Stockman and Jeremy Jones not to do reviews? We did it.
Starting point is 00:03:50 We did it first. They're not allowed to do it. They can't have their own style. They can't build their own channels. They have to. They can't. They're not allowed, bro. No.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Nobody should do movie reviews. You can't. You can't do YouTube movie reviews. No. You can't do them. You can't. And by the way, you know that a bar stool who, I guess the subdivision, Jeff Lowe was a big fan of the Shmodeown.
Starting point is 00:04:11 But guess what? He created his own dozen trivia. about two years later after talking about how much he loved the schmodown. Is he not allowed to do that? But of course he's allowed to do that. It's stupid. But as many people as they want, do as many twerk videos as do you like.
Starting point is 00:04:28 You can do as many. Yeah. It doesn't matter. Please don't let it be stuff. It doesn't matter. So anyway, Frank and I are going to be doing, are going to be doing those.
Starting point is 00:04:36 We did two already. We did Joe's pizza and we did Mulberry pizza in Los Angeles. And someone said, well, you're just doing Los Angeles. us that's all you're going to do. No, the goal is that people actually watch the reviews. And then as we build up through Patreon and stuff too, we'll, we'll go to Chicago. We'll go to New Haven.
Starting point is 00:04:54 We'll go to a bunch of different places. So it's you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't do it big enough. Well, no, but the guy who was asking was to say, are you only going to do L.A.? I'm the, that guy is going, you can't do pizza reviews because someone else does them. Well, the land of Zah does them. what's our buddy um jake uh from uh used to be pretty much it he he he does them um so tons of people does anybody do frozen pizza reviews i'll do yeah i think i think pornoi does them oh man and again i'm a big fan of what pornoi does i do that i call pizza zah to piss my son off well land
Starting point is 00:05:33 they with some zabra well so we were doing collider live there was um the guy and he started and he told us about he just he does all of l i land of zal why doesn't anybody say Well, Land of Zah already does it because he's not as bad. It's so silly. So yeah, we're doing pizza reviews. Eat it. Oh, I like that. Yeah, we're doing pizza reviews.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Eat it. We were going to originally call it a New York guy and a pizza and a Chicago guy try. You know, the pizza. But I thought of that. I'm like, what if one of us isn't available on that week? I don't want. I'm just going to do pizza reviews. Yeah, that's it.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Another pizza review? That's what you should call it. This stream has been going on for, four minutes and somebody said, did we talk about the main topic already? I don't even know what the main topic. Perfect. Here, this is how fast we talked about it. Lucas found, Disney, they guess good.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Okay, so let's talk about pizza. No, we didn't talk about the main topic. Oh, come on. Come on. It's my favorite. It's like, why do you tune into a live stream if that's all you want to see? Watch the whole live stream. I keep hitting that button. Oh, you keep hitting it.
Starting point is 00:06:34 I do. Yeah. But we will get into, by the way, you know, for the Patreon, I, um, we have a new, we have a new tier. or a new a new goal rather oh my kalanowski said when we hit 600 patrons he's going to do a stand-up set five minutes stand-up set so and people will wait at me you already hit 600 now the way that they do patreon now it's so weird they do um they do patron that's like you if you follow that we got we got to do we got it's got to be for you know paid members and there's like four almost 400 paid
Starting point is 00:07:04 members because the whole point is that we can pay people to do the stuff we want them to do whether it's this guy 10 000 patrons come on 10 000 patrons. He's going to dress up as the flirt and flouse, be in character and skydive. Oh, with Sturger. Well, Sturge is going to drive you there in character. Oh, yeah. Yeah. She's not diving. No, no, no. But she did mention that there will not be a lot of fabric on her outfit. She said that, not us. Not us. But I will also tell you that the, the amount of money it's going to take to get him to do it is, is, is quite, is quite hefty. I break it out in a cold sweat every time you talk about. I think you're okay. I think you're
Starting point is 00:07:39 okay. I think you're okay. Right now, we got a long way to go. Like I said, we're very, very happy and excited that so many people have been signing up. We're almost at 400. But it's going to be a thousand gets Winston to Halloween horror nights. I think 1,200 should be the Cory Feldman thing, by the way. Do you see what happened to that poor bastard? Well, the one, we both send each other the same one, right? It's crack himself in the face. I felt so bad. Not just you, though. So like, I like 20 people sent me that thing. The poor guy. He's just trying to. trying to sing is like, Paul. And it's just like, I can't win.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Yeah, it's like I, it is one of those things where I go like, oh, what a goof. And then I go, ah, I feel bad for him. There's, there's always that part of me, like, if I start goofing on somebody that goes back to the picked on kid and like, oh, I feel bad. I don't want to make fun of him in that. Look, he crushes. He crushes. I'm hoping that when we go to that, if we go to the concert, we have to get front row. First of all, we're going to buy front row seats.
Starting point is 00:08:36 Yeah. Which will go right into his pocket. second um i'm hoping the show's awesome i'm hoping we go you know what that guy can perform yeah so anyway that's a patreon dot com slash the big thing show all right so for my man uh where is he where to go marco from my man marco he's now he feels bad no so you shouldn't feel bad marco's marco's good guy um now we're going to get into what we're talking about here this story came out like today and this one's from comic book movie dot com. New details emerge on why some of the projects announced in 2020, they're not a reality.
Starting point is 00:09:13 A huge number of Star Wars projects were announced at a Disney Investor Day in 2020, but why haven't they materialized? There's a new book, and it sheds light on the role Disney played in forcing Lucasfilm's hand. For many of us, this is from Josh Wilding, a comic book movie. For many of us, the pandemic has started to feel like a distant memory. During that time, movie studios were forced to get creative. They did virtual events. And remember that DC fandom one in the hopes of building buzz for upcoming titles in a world where its biggest stars were confined to Zoom screens. Well, in Disney's case, 2020, ended with a splashy investor day, which saw us treat a Comic Con level surprise announcements from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm. However, in the latter's case, quite a few
Starting point is 00:09:57 projects have never materialized. In a new book, MCU, the reign of Marvel Studios was recently released, And as we first explained, it reveals that Kennedy and MCU boss, Kevin Feing, you were pressured by Disney into announcing projects before they were ready. We have to believe that it was Bob Chapeck. Everyone blamed Chaypec, doing as both franchises suffered under his tenure as the company's leader. So if we'd start with Star Wars, what happened? Well, the majority of projects did become a reality, but since being unveiled way back in December 2020, the Ackleid still doesn't have a premiere date, even though production was rhaps. That's a perfect example of a project announced too soon, resulting in excitement petering out. However, the four which failed to become reality are Rangers of the New Republic, Lando, a droid story, and rogue squadron.
Starting point is 00:10:48 So the latter was meant to be helmed by Patty Jenkins, and the filmmaker even put on a pilot's uniform, posed along an X-wing, hyping up an adventure that we were clearly meant to believe would be a big deal. Not only, as it been on the back burner, Jenkins was believed to have left over creative differences. was a Disney Plus series to be spearheaded by Justin Simeon. Now Stephen and Donald Glover are producing it as a movie, and the haunted mansion director learned of his firing on social media. Rangers of the New Republic probably would have become a reality, but Gina Carrano's controversial comments on social media saw her fired as Kara Dune,
Starting point is 00:11:21 and she was blacklisted in Hollywood. These days, we don't need all that stuff. Finally, we have a droid story and animated film using realistic CG we heard would revolve around R2. D2C3PO. Last update was 2021. So more TV shows were announced, haven't happened, but it's not hard to wonder how much damage. This presentation did to Lucasfilm reputation among already disgruntled fans,
Starting point is 00:11:48 disappointed by the sequel trilogy. They also did. There was some other stuff that happened with Marvel and Marvel had done this. What is Bumble Force can have to say it about? I don't know, Bumble Force. I'm not sure. But who knows? Who knows?
Starting point is 00:12:01 There's a, there's a lot here. There's a lot here. And by the way, I do see the superchats coming in and we will get to them by the end of the show. We promise. Okay. So, you know, they talk about how she was, or Lucasfilm, rather, was pressured into announcing these things. I just feel, again, I get it that Chepex the boss at the time. I get at Disney's the boss.
Starting point is 00:12:28 But let's not pretend that Rogue One didn't happen. Trevaro didn't happen. Benning off and Weiss didn't happen. Del Toro didn't happen. All these different things. There were tons of projects already that had been announced. The Feige thing wasn't happening. All these things were already announced.
Starting point is 00:12:52 At that point, you still have enough to go, well, you know, I'd be cool with this to announce this stuff. But the problem is I've done it a bunch of times too. and if I do this again this far ahead, I don't think it's a great plan. You put your feet down on that. And I think, yeah, sure, we'll announce it. I don't want, I think that it's disingenuous to say, oh, yeah, it's just on the fact, well, they made me do it.
Starting point is 00:13:17 They made me do it. Now the Marvel side of things, maybe, because they, but they've done it too. They've done, they just got lucky in the past that a lot of the stuff that they've announced happened, it's fit into plan because everything was going well. It's not going well right now. So a lot of things got moved around. And that's also, the strike has moved things around too. I think Ackley probably has hit from that.
Starting point is 00:13:37 But yeah, I mean, I think that there's probably merit in the fact that they were pressured. But you can't just say, oh, okay, well, that's why. Then, okay, that makes sense. What do you think about this, Brett? I think everything is everything. No, I remember that big announcement. And I look back at the, you know, like, I remember the whole being in the fighter pilot outfit. And like, I mean, that was a hyped up event.
Starting point is 00:13:59 And that was super like. Oh, man, there's going to be so many cool. And it's got to be embarrassing that none of that really is going to happen or won't. But what do you think of the fact that they're just saying, well, it seems to be it was, it was Disney was pressuring to do it. Like I said, I believe that that's the case. But I don't believe that it's just solely on Disney. No, not at all. That's just covering your ass.
Starting point is 00:14:21 That's just, you know, it's no, Disney did. That's, that's, you know, a kid, you know, with his brother. Right. You know, like, oh, no, Johnny did it. Johnny. It was Disney. It was, yeah. Both did it.
Starting point is 00:14:31 My parents made me do it. Yeah. They both did it. I don't know. And they're putting the blame on them. I'm very curious to hear what the audience thinks about this. Like do you, and it's just, I don't know. And even the Marvel stuff, Marvel was kind of forced into doing a bunch of projects.
Starting point is 00:14:47 At this point, if you have the kind of clout that both Figey and Kennedy have, don't you think, even if I get it, the boss man's telling you do stuff, don't you think they go, we can't do that? We can't do that. We've done it, especially for Kathleen Kennedy, I've just done this five or six different times. I announced that Lord Miller were going to be doing something. I had to can them. I announced Travaro was going to do it. JJ came back. Ryan Johnson was supposed to do this trilogy.
Starting point is 00:15:11 That's not happening. I just got the Game of Thrones guys. I didn't like what they were doing. I had to get rid of them. I mean, the whole thing that happened with Gilroy and Gareth Edwards, like, I can't do this. If I make this announcement, Patty Jenkins, and it falls through again and it doesn't work, we're going to have egg on our face. Too much damage control.
Starting point is 00:15:30 If you make it too grandiose like that, you got too much damage control. Why not just dial it into what you know? Well, pretty much have 90, 90% and above what's going to happen. Don't give us that 50% of what you're going to put out. It's the truth. So I don't know. I think that it's a bummer in general. I do believe that Cheapak was probably like, hey, we've got to announce some stuff.
Starting point is 00:15:54 We've got to get some excitement going. but I don't take I still think you can go now if that's your company and you're regardless of who's paying the bills you got to look I got to take a stance here I can't make these announcements if it's not going to happen so I don't
Starting point is 00:16:09 on both sides Marvel 2 Kevin Feigey's been through this enough I can't announce all this stuff we don't we don't have it in play that's why I quit telling my wife I'm like I'm going to rock your world tonight doesn't happen no it doesn't happen no more you know back 10 years ago 10 years ago were you in the prime of the MCU yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:16:25 But now it's like, oh, man. And then I blamed it on Disney. Yeah, you should. That's what everybody else does anyway. Everybody blames. Sorry, honey. Disney. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:16:34 I know. It's all Disney's fault. I'll tell you. You know what I saw last night? New show? No, no, no. I actually did watch. I watched Killers of the Flower Moon.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Oh, how's that? It's really good. It's three and a half hours long. Oh, now the radio told me that that one needed to be seen in the theater. Was that true? I think so. But I can't blame anybody if they go. I don't know if I can. I didn't pee once. I didn't pee once. Three and a half hours. It's a movie and I said it in my out of the theater reaction last night. It's a fantastic epic film that I don't know if I'll watch ever again. That's not that doesn't take away from the fact that it is a brilliant and really well done movie. And I say that only because it is not an easy watch because of the subject matter. Do you know,
Starting point is 00:17:25 No, I don't at all. So essentially, I mean, if you've seen the trailers, if you don't want to hear me tell you what the movies about it, it's based on true events and the trailers have pretty much said it. But in the early 30s, the 20s, early 30s, you know, the oil companies, everything kind of took a lot of the, well, the land were paid the Osage tribes. Oil money, tons of oil money. Like a lot of money and they were, and then so the tribes are like,
Starting point is 00:17:54 okay, we're making some cash here. We're really wealthy now. They were like the talk of the town. But then these kind of bulgers kind of came in and started marrying them and trying to take. And then what happened is this one particular family is targets them, starts killing them off. To start taking their cash. So, and Leonardo DiCaprio, De Niro are like in the, in the thick of it, I'll say,
Starting point is 00:18:20 in the thick of it. And De Niro is one of De Niro's best performances in a very long time. It's the first time that DiCaprio and De Niro have worked together since this boy's life from like 1993. Wow. Yeah. DiCaprio is doing like this kind of sling blade thing in it. Not all the way, not to 100, but he's got this thing he's doing with his jaw that doesn't become distracting. It's actually, it actually fits the character.
Starting point is 00:18:44 Shoot, what is the, I want to get the woman's name who plays. She plays Molly. Molly Ringwam. No, she plays Molly. Molly Shannon. Yes, both them. They both show up. You can't play a character in a film unless your first name is actually the name of the character.
Starting point is 00:19:02 That's exactly right. That's what they should do. But no, that's not right. Let's see. I want to get, I want to make sure that I get someone that's probably going to say. Gary Oldman. Someone will tell me in the comments before I actually find the damn thing.
Starting point is 00:19:13 But her name is Lily Gladstone. She's awesome. She'll get nominated. She'll be nominated for best supporting actress, for sure. She's so good. De Niro will probably get nominated for Best Supporting Actor. I don't know if he will or should beat Robert Dany Jr. For Oppenheimer.
Starting point is 00:19:33 What was the runtime for Oppenheimer? 240. 240. Something like that. And this was 3.20? 320. Aye. Yay.
Starting point is 00:19:43 So there are time. There were a couple times that I was like, I could see if they wanted to cut that. But there's just one particular moment in the film, like, is this wedding. And they focus on this. guy dancing and he's dancing for like I don't know a minute and a half and then he goes into this conversation in my head I go and I said two separate things I was like you know they probably could have cut that they didn't need it could have trimmed that about two minutes but at the same time it added so much to the atmosphere yeah and it's just throughout the entire movie he does that
Starting point is 00:20:12 and this movie is there is a lot of gangster shit going down even though it's not a mob film per se that's wild i i guess there's two sides of it's like in filmmaking it's being able to tell a story in a short amount of time that's a huge story yeah or being able to tell a story with a lot of time and not bore the shit out of people so if you weren't i was never bored if you weren't bored then i'm fine with i was never bored i was riveted from start to finish it definitely was i well some people said that they didn't feel the length it's impossible not to feel like i was like yeah i mean freaking tailbone was i'm doing this thing the whole time but like because it's three and a half hours long but it it did not there was I was
Starting point is 00:20:57 thinking about it this morning it's just like every there was so many moments that I was like oh like it's it's it's captivating and it's used to death but it's epic um the music is really well done it is tragic it is really hard to watch at times but on purpose obviously um it's it's a fantastic film it really is it's a fantastic fantastic movie I don't think I don't know if I like it more than Oppenheimer but it's it's a great movie and it's going to be up there for a lot of nominations for sure and yeah I thought it was
Starting point is 00:21:35 I was very happy that I went because you know I was I'm a grouchy I'm a grouchy oh man I don't want to go I don't want to go to sit in a movie theater for three and a half hours but I was oh you did go to the theater yeah I saw theater last night I went to the theater for some reason I assumed you you saw a screener of it yeah no no no no I went to I saw it
Starting point is 00:21:51 in the theater. And I'm glad that I did because it was, it was an absolutely incredible theatrical experience. It really was. I was, I was very excited to, uh, to be watching it. And it, there was kind of like a buzz in the air. So it had the directors guild actually. Oh, nice. And it was, um, there was a lot of people there. So I'd miss. There were two other screenings. I actually had an invite to the premiere on Monday. I didn't go because I was, we just got back from New York. And I was like, it was so tight. So when people said, oh, you just do this for the premieres. Yeah. No. Yeah, right. Like that was for me, it's like that's the one premiere out of all of them. I'd rather, I'd rather go and see De Niro Scorsese.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Yeah. You know, um, and DeCaprio and all them and be, be there for that. I was like, I don't know, I'll see this screen. I'll see the screening on Wednesday. I'm going to premiere. Um, so yeah, for people who who think that I love going to premieres, you're wrong. I go, I go to get the early word out a lot of the times, but um, that's it. Um, what else? What else? we got tons of other stories that had come out too bread there's this other one that i thought was
Starting point is 00:22:57 pretty interesting we talked about well you know let me let's let's let's talk about the great bert young that rocky if you guys been following me long enough you know that rocky is one of my favorite franchises of all time and uh and bert young paulie is just and he was also in the soprano's back to school like a lot of other things but he's obviously known for for polly he's one of the best characters ever. Dark Horizons here, Bert Young, who played the best friend, Pauley, across six of the Rocky movies and landed a supporting Oscar nomination for the 1976 originally has passed away. He was 83 years old. His character appeared across the initial six Rocky films as the loyal caring, but also hot-headed and problematic friend of
Starting point is 00:23:39 Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Balboa. The character died off screen before the Creed films. Young was prolific. Classic character actor often hired to play goons who were able to elicit sympathy, and empathy. Notable roles include Back to School, Once Upon at a time in America, China Town, convoy, and he was also a driver in the killer elite, a mob boss in Mickey Blue Eyes, a hardworking husband
Starting point is 00:24:02 in Last Exitut, Brooklyn. He was in the gambler, transamerica, all the marbles, he was soprano, Lombo, teals from the Crip Law and Order. The list goes on and on. Young was also a painter, whose work appeared in several galleries. He has survived by a daughter Anne Maria.
Starting point is 00:24:18 I mean, I I loved, I loved Paulie, man. I loved Bert Young. I actually, you know, obviously from the from the Rocky films and what he brought to those films, but do you remember of me back to school? No, I'd be lying if I did.
Starting point is 00:24:34 When was the last time you were back to school when it came? Really? Yeah. Well, that'd be a good one to rewatch. He plays, he plays Rodney Dangerfield's driver slash bodyguard, and he like picks up a guy. Gross. It's, it's great.
Starting point is 00:24:49 It's great. He's absolutely great. Back to school, man. Triple Lindy, right? That's triple lindi, yeah, for sure. And he's just the fart. But Bert Young was so good in that because he played like this tough. Can you believe him? And he was so good in the Sopranos, but yeah, I mean, Paul, you always didn't remember
Starting point is 00:25:04 him as Polly and the relationship that he had with Rocky because he was able to do exactly what they said in that article. You shouldn't like Paul. You shouldn't like him. No. Because he's just, he's, he's racist. He is, he's abusive. in the first movie.
Starting point is 00:25:20 He's, he's, they said he's beyond problematic. But Bert Young brings this thing to him where he's, he makes you laugh. He does like the stuff he wants to take the kid to the racetrack in the third, in the third movie. He's like the stuff that he says,
Starting point is 00:25:35 he's like, who are you Al Capone? And, I'm the side, I'm the silent majority, big mouth. So many great lines. So what he was able to do.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Bert Young was, was the man. He was the man. He was really, really, So, and still, I, someone, someone had just passed the other day. Oh, Suzanne Somers. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Past the other day. And she was 77. It's like, I don't know, I guess because when you're getting older and you have people around you, the parents, parents in law, like, who are in that range and they're still running around doing stuff. You're like, oh, okay. Well, that's not, it's not as old as I thought it was. And it's just life, man.
Starting point is 00:26:14 I was thinking about this today, Brett, we can get deep. Let's do it. I was like, I don't know. for some reason, I was driving by this place in L.A. where I used to perform and I was thinking about the Luna Park days. And it was really not that long ago, if you think about it, like we could both say, oh, man, it was like 20 years ago. But in hindsight, it's really not that long.
Starting point is 00:26:35 You really don't get to spend too much time being young because people are like, well, you know, when you get the first like 30, 35 years. And you don't remember shit when you're like six, seven years old. I have a lot of memories when you're like, What do you remember? You remember feeding the donkey at a zoo? What do you remember? What do you really remember?
Starting point is 00:26:55 You remember a couple things here in the air, but nobody's minds are like, remind, like what do you truly remember from like, I don't remember much. There's certain things that we go, oh, yeah, I remember when that happened when I was like seven,
Starting point is 00:27:06 eight. Yeah. But I don't really start really, like putting together full memories. Like nine, 10 is when it kind of comes in, but still that's not even. It's not even that much.
Starting point is 00:27:14 10 to like, you got about, you got around 25 years to really, be young. You really do. And that's not shit. No, it's not shit. And I don't mean, and I'm not talking about like, well, 40, 45 still, of course it is. Of course. I'm talking about like, when you've got that like,
Starting point is 00:27:31 hey, I'm going to be 50 years young. You're running around the joint, like, you know, that when you feel you're invincible, like those types of years, it's, and who knows, maybe it's a better thing that you only have around, you got to realize at one, because everybody does realize at one point. Well, I shouldn't say everybody. A lot of people realize at one point,
Starting point is 00:27:48 Oh, can't do that anymore. You know? Well, and that's what I was, I, I was thinking the same thing. Like, uh, like the, the, my craziest youngest years of whatever, like post college, you know, ended around 2007, you know, for me because I had kids. Right. So it's like that's one of definitely. That was like. And it seems like it was this long.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Like, because that I remember so much of it. Sure. But it really was a little blip. Nope. It's a blip. So, um, anyway. So the one. And that all comes back.
Starting point is 00:28:18 When you talk about like Bert Young in the 80s, it's like, yeah, it's like, I mean, for all my life, I was watching the Rocky movie. So like he's always been a part of it. And but still, you talk to his family and it's probably like, I can't believe he's gone. Yeah. So to the great Bert Young, I know, a slide posted something today about him as well too. You check that out on his Instagram. So again, peace and love to the great Bert Young.
Starting point is 00:28:44 All right, I want to jump into this. But I put AG1 in there, and I gave it a try a long time ago because Brett Sheridan wouldn't be quiet about it, and he was right.
Starting point is 00:31:57 He was absolutely right. I drink it right away. I drink it right before my coffee, and I'm just ready to go. I just know that when I'm taking it, and I'm like this, it feels good. I'm not a big vitamins guy where I'm taking 87 vitamins throughout the day. I take it all in one shot. I put it in the cup, and I'm feeling good. My sweep, my sweep, I sweep, I sweep the floor and then I take the AG1.
Starting point is 00:32:19 My sleep quality is doing good because of AG1. Since I've been drinking it, I really have noticed an overall just kind of like a new pep in my step. Those travel packs are. You know what will almost end, marriage is if you good in this routine of making your wife her age you won before work and yourself
Starting point is 00:33:46 one and then you forget one morning and she's like where's my where's my age you one no no I'm sorry oh that's not how's it going with the lady she's been kicking you ass oh yeah good yeah good good good good good good happy um all right let's move into some other stuff guys as I say like I told you we are going to cover a few more topics and then we'll we'll get into the I see a few A few questions have come in, super chat-wise. And if you throw them in there, we will answer them at the end. Do you have any questions for me? Have any questions for Brett?
Starting point is 00:34:18 Anything about what we talked about today? But there's a few more topics. Now, one of the things that yesterday, Mike and I talked about was the Spider-Man game and how big the reviews, how great the reviews were. Well, there's more reviews, man. And now Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It's getting rave reviews.
Starting point is 00:34:37 And Martin's got an elephant on his face. What do you got an elephant on your face, Mario? Dead elephant. I'll read this one. Go ahead. All right, Nintendo looks to have another game of the year contender on its hands going by the reviews for Friday's Super Mario Bros. Wonder. With 80 reviews counted, the Switch exclusive title has racked up a 93 out of 100 on Metacritic, which ties it with Resident Evil 4 remake as third highest scoring new game of the year. behind only the legend of Zelda
Starting point is 00:35:08 Tears of the Kingdom. Love that one. I know, I know it isn't. This is like, this is my biggest fear I was reading in front of, well,
Starting point is 00:35:16 you volunteer. Yeah. What would you rather do? Would you rather do this or would you rather do this? Or would you rather do skydust. No, I'd rather do this than skydow. Balders Gate 3,
Starting point is 00:35:24 which is tied for 96 out of 100. The score also puts it just ahead of Streetfighter's 692 Diablo. What is that? Six. Just say a lot of other things. Yeah. See, it stars, a lot of other things. It's also well ahead of the rival Sonic the Hedgehog whose new game Sonic
Starting point is 00:35:40 Superstars released yesterday with a 75 out of 100. Super Mario Brothers Wonder has also scored a bunch of 10 out of 10 reviews and boasts only one review below an 8 out of 10, and that being a 7 out of 10. VG 247 writes within the understood parameters of the 2D Mario can be, this has to be the single best entry since Super Mario World. nice and it's a perfect first game to launch a new era of Mario games with its new something or other that you just pulled out just just pull the pull the ass just just forget just forget that you're reading anything it's like you know what do let me ask you question how long how long
Starting point is 00:36:23 you improv for in your life yeah it's done something yeah I could have just said I was like whoa there it goes this looks cool my my son loves the Mario games and I'm this is this is the you know, when I was talking about my, with my kid getting older and redirects of how to engage with him, I buy him games that he can only play in the living room, so I get to hang out with him. So I think I'll get him this one because I know he wanted another game to, he just beat Pickman 4, which was a...
Starting point is 00:36:49 That's hilarious. I wouldn't even, if you would have said that to me two days ago, I'm like, what are you talking about? Because we read this report yesterday from the, and they mentioned Pickman 4, and I asked Mike, so you know what that is? He goes, no, but you do. Oh, Pickman's the best.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Is it awesome? We played him on GameCube back in the day. which we didn't have a GameCube. We played it on the Wii. It's these little pickman characters. It's like these guys go to a foreign planet, which you figure out is Earth anyway. And they're collecting these items, but you have to take a certain amount of pickman. You have to grow them.
Starting point is 00:37:18 You have to. It was really great with my son when he was little because it was like a counting thing. And it's basic, but also it's difficult at the same time. It's just we love it. And I mean, I've got one, two, three, and four. Um, before we waited for a long time, but I'd, it'd be a good one for Bibb. Okay. I mean, well, she's, she's, she's obsessed with the Beatles, musical now. Obsessed with it. Like the Broadway stuff, like she, we, where she watched that on this?
Starting point is 00:37:45 So I showed her the movie and she loved the movie and then she started she like, she loves Broadway stuff. And so she started looking at the videos on YouTube about and when we were at my uncle's house, she was just watching that over and over and over now every day. That's how I get her to school now. She was, she didn't want to, every day. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:38:02 let's listen to the, the Broadway, uh, you know, Beatles just thing. And she loves it. So that's what she's obsessed with right now. But she does like that these,
Starting point is 00:38:11 you know, kids are they, they got new things, but she loved Mario for a while. Um, this is an interesting one though. When she still never figured, finished Hogwarts, which she still loves.
Starting point is 00:38:23 Did you get your kids that one? No, no, we didn't do that. Okay. Um, so yeah. So the,
Starting point is 00:38:28 the game, There's both Spider-Man, Mario, getting great reviews, two classics, two classic characters. And I've noticed, I mean, we got a lot of comments yesterday on the show with Mike, is that so many people, well, they're glad that we were covering those kinds of stories. And I guess we'll do that more. And I think that's one of the things. If you are putting in a super chat in a second, if you want to ask anything about what we're doing on the channel in general, if there's anything, I don't want to, you don't have to just stick to pop culture stuff, by the way.
Starting point is 00:38:58 have to do it doesn't if you have any of the questions about things that you want to know about that's kind of what i look for these live shows to do too i'd done two of them this week i was doing and i did see someone and this is something that didn't necessarily come through in a super chat but i saw a question i wanted to address it got i remembered it um when we were doing the yarf the stream the live stream show someone had um had put in for a schmobot at the time to have me and dagnino JTE, Kate Muggan and Roxy on the same show. We just couldn't figure out schedules for the longest time. So what I want to do in order to honor that,
Starting point is 00:39:33 what I'm going to, I'm just going to keep trying to do. Like we have this table. We could get, we could probably, we could probably get a two or three shot here, right? Yeah. Get me and then we could probably put two over there,
Starting point is 00:39:43 couldn't we? Yeah. That's what we were planning. We could probably do that. So I think that that might work, that I'll try to do that for sure and do like a crazy kind of actual show here. for for big thing i don't know if i necessarily do it live with that with that crew but still just still still be able to do it so i want to know people that it's still it's still coming but if you
Starting point is 00:40:03 have any questions about how it's going to work other things and what i've also noticed is that i'm curious about this because i know that not everybody is in like clearly you're not but into the uap show on tuesdays but um but there are high it's the show that does the best it's out of all the big things it's like i would say that the uap show does the best by far and then the second is capes and cows on friday um no matter what and then when when there's a star war show on the sith council episode will do pretty well but normally the way that it ranks is that the tuesday episode does the best friday episode is second best um and then thursday depending on we're talking about not having roxy on has definitely been tougher.
Starting point is 00:40:52 And I just talked to Roxy the other day. It's just very hard to have Roxy on right now because she's, to her credit, she's just standing strong and she doesn't, she's not talking about stuff. And I just can't do it. I've got to be able to talk about a lot of the things that are going on right now. So I'm going to try to have her on the UAP show on Tuesday. But that brings me to the fact that I think that I,
Starting point is 00:41:12 and I'm going to do a couple live shows, I think a week here, because we're not doing, because I think I can still do live big things, talk to the audience. but I was curious and I don't know yet. I might be an experiment. Do I venture out on an episode and just do kind of other big topics that are going on in the world inside of pop culture, but maybe in just news in general. And I'm not getting to, I'm not doing political. No, that's not my thing.
Starting point is 00:41:38 But, you know, like other big topics going on in the world that's not just movies and TV. I don't know. Or maybe something even exploring the, you know, the thing we talked about with the. what was it, the simulation theory and things of that nature. Yeah, I like that. I'd be down to discuss that one.
Starting point is 00:41:55 I think you should. I think people would like it. I mean, that's kind of, you know, what happens within all these shows. We do touch on something that's kind of a big topic,
Starting point is 00:42:03 you know? It's a matter of leading with it, right? It's also why I'm taking an experiment with. I want to do stuff that I like, stuff that I love. That's why because if you've been following me long enough, you know that I've been talking about pizza places forever.
Starting point is 00:42:13 And I kept getting people going, what are the places in L.A.? And I was like, well, I'll just try to do a few of them with Frank. and like, I don't know if anybody's going to watch them. If you do, I mean, I was surprised when I did a poll yesterday about would people be interested. It was like 78% said out of like, I don't know, 1,500 people were like, yeah, we would watch that.
Starting point is 00:42:30 I want to, I want to see what you think about this pizza place. So, and we're going to definitely get people that it's like, it's just such small-minded thinking. We're just like, well, if one person does reviews, you can't do it. It's like, now, if I did his, if I did his ranking system, if I did the same theme song, if I did the same thing, he was, then yeah, it's like, do something, do your style of it. Like if somebody, if somebody was starting to do what Ellis and I did on, the Schmo's no, like, review and they start doing the same thing with the Schmo's system. And it's like, well, do your own thing.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I get that. That's, that's more than valid. But to say you can't review something because someone else does, that's small-minded thinking. And I, and, but we're going to be trying it. And look, if nobody watches it, they ain't doing it. We're not going to try it. I'm not going to do it. I like the games you play with your kids.
Starting point is 00:43:16 I think that I just noticed in the chat, there were, bunch of people were saying like, you know, oh, yeah, I like this one. I like, you know, Tears of the Kingdom and stuff like that. Or games that I, again, I just, I like watching my son play video game because I get to hang out with them. And, you know, I occasionally play it myself. He gets mad that I don't play him as much. We got a, what was it, got a war. And I beat the first one.
Starting point is 00:43:39 And then I didn't do the second one because I'm lazy. Yeah. I saw somebody go, why did I choose for my goal, the bleaching my hair? and and doing and tanning myself like ken do you know that i probably won't have sex with my wife for like two months if i do that and it's like that's not it's not something that i'm uh it's like what do you want me to face my fears i i i you're not you're not that guy i it's don't bother me um you know it's the the uh the scary amusement park doesn't bother me um so like that was something it was like because my when i told my wife was going to just like no no no
Starting point is 00:44:17 So that the kind of that's the kind of stuff. It's like you can't, but you can't win with people. You can't win with people. It's like no matter what you like, you know, it's like that, that,
Starting point is 00:44:26 that is a fear of walking into my house. You don't understand. When I shaved my head, yeah, oh, I bet. My children were screaming. They were,
Starting point is 00:44:36 my daughter, I oldest started crying. The, the little ones started screaming at me. And the, and my wife was just like, what did you just do? Like, that's the kind of stuff that is going to be not great.
Starting point is 00:44:52 So it's a little, it's a little better than you. And I think I said it before. From the time I've known you, you've never deviated in your hairstyle. You never deviated in like your facial hair a little bit here and there. But you know, yeah, you're not the dye your hair purple kind of a guy or bleach. Yeah. I don't think sports talk will work for me, man. So someone say sports talk.
Starting point is 00:45:11 I just don't think it'll work for me. I mean, I, back in it, I mean, I'm not into wrestling the way that I used to be. So it's like super casual here and they all tune in. So with wrestling, even though it's like it's that to me is just trying to, oh, people search for wrestling. Why are they going to listen to me? I was a hardcore fan for a long time. I was writer for a brief stint.
Starting point is 00:45:31 I don't, I don't know enough about it. Yeah. And enough. Same thing with like with sports. It's like I can talk about certain things, but it's like you got to really dedicate the whole thing to be that. So I don't know. You doing a sports show is like me being on like a,
Starting point is 00:45:42 like a entertainment review. Yeah. Yeah. That makes sense. Let's try. Let's see. We got, I want to do, I'll do one more story and then we'll, and then we'll move on. So this is this, the Matthew Vaughn was our buddy, Josh Harwood, had him on Happy, Sad Confused. Great show. She'd listen to it, watch it, subscribe to his channel if you haven't already. Great name. Josh Harwood? No, that's happy,
Starting point is 00:46:11 happy, sad, confused. Oh, yeah, yeah. Good name was true. X-Men first class and Kingsman director, Matthew Vaughan has he praised on the flash while confirming he's been in talks with DC studios, the filmmaker also reflects on a failed Superman trilogy pitch. I'm not going to get into the Superman portion of it because we're going to talk about that on Capes and Cowls on Friday. So I'll just talk about this first part of it.
Starting point is 00:46:31 And that's Matthew Vaughan is no stranger to comic book adaptations after directing X-Men First Class, Kickass, and the three Kingsman movies. He's also been linked to a number of other Marvel and DC projects over the years. And in recent months, he's been eyed by DC Studios to
Starting point is 00:46:47 tackled the authority. It's a property he'd be well suited to because it's rated R. And during an interview with Josh Horowitz, the British filmmaker confirmed that he's been in touch with James Gunn and Peter Safran. He said, we've been talking. However, he added, there's no specific project that's currently on the table. Here is the full quote. DC has reached out and Gunn and Peter, well, yeah, we've been talking. Never say never at the moment. I'm enjoying creating my own things. The franchise is in the best hand. So let's see what happens. It's not as if Vaughn would reveal which movies or TV shows they've discussed, but he did confirm past reports that he in comic book, Mark Miller, approached Warner Brothers to pitch Superman trilogy.
Starting point is 00:47:23 All right. So with all of that, you got Matthew Vaughn, who I've been a massive fan of for a long time. I've been doing a lot of interviews. This was a big thing for Comic Con. He's talked about tons of stuff, giving out more information, talking to Josh about this. And Josh is so good at being able to get, know what. kind of tidbits to get and knowing that this DC thing has been going on. I think he'll do something with DC.
Starting point is 00:47:50 I think that his style and gun style, I think Gun gets what he does. I think they'll get him to do something for sure. I think that it would make a lot of sense. What do you think? I think that, you know, I love AG one, man.
Starting point is 00:48:05 You do. You know, no, I have no idea what you're talking about right now. There's some of them I can't even pretend. I was just thinking if I left the dryer on when I left the room. You should just get up and leave. God bless you.
Starting point is 00:48:35 It's just like the peanuts parents talking for a second. It's not even a difficult. It's the fucking director from the guy saying he might do a DC thing. When did that turn into Germany? You get more engaged when we talk about But people potentially swapping out their ex their spouses Oh, yeah Plowed by a rhinoceros penis than you do
Starting point is 00:49:05 That story, man, that's that Perfect Yeah, no, let's do it, man Yeah, let's do it. What would you let's do it? I'll green line it. Yeah, so let me ask you, Brett. So at all the DC projects coming up,
Starting point is 00:49:17 which one do you want to see Vaughn do the most? Um, I would say, uh, peacemaker. Oh, I was going to say the skimpy squirrel. The skimpy squirrel. Yeah. No, that one. Did you watch that one on Amazon? Oh, that one's edgy. I mean, it deals with a little hot topics. Um, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, that's a tough one. I don't know. Uh, the, the squirrel, a racist squirrel is a tough sell. Um, but in the end, you know, he's got a heart of gold, I guess. I'm sweating so bad. Right.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Yeah, anytime I bring up a topic you don't know about it. I'm sweating. It's like JT and a spelling bee. Poor JT. I can't wait to have JT back on. I miss JT. All right. Let's get to your questions.
Starting point is 00:50:02 We're going to do that before I do. Two more sponsors that I've been telling you about. And like a bad habit is not paying attention to the stories when you're an entertainment show. But there's also a lot of other bad habits and you can combat it with a good habit. And I'll tell you both about fume and then rocket money, which you guys know. Rocket money. If you haven't been taking care of your finances and paying attention what's going on with finances, Rocket Money is it. So I'll tell you about both of them right now. All right, guys. This episode is sponsored by Fume. Bad habits, man. A lot of people have bad,
Starting point is 00:50:31 bad habits, and bad habits can really kick your ass and they can mess with your health. They really can set you back. I've seen it. I've been around it. And I know. And when you see this, the first thing you go, what is that? The first thing you should know is that's not a vapeen. It's not electronic. It's natural. That's why I'm on board in the first place. What is it then? It's a device. And it helps you quit nasty habits. And that's why I was on board right away when they reached out. At first, I'm not going to lie. I was skeptical. I didn't know. I was like, I don't know. That's not really my thing. It's a wait a minute. You're not breathing in nasty chemicals with this. And what it is, it's a legit, it's just fresh air. It's natural air.
Starting point is 00:51:06 It is flavored air. That's it. You heard me. Air. And it flavors. It is a great way to replace nasty habits. There is no nasty chemicals. none of the stuff that creates bad habits. And that to me was like, wait a minute. So you can actually turn a bad habit and you just make it a good habit because it ain't messing you up and it ain't hurting you. Because I said, wait a minute, flavored air? And I said, it just feels fresh.
Starting point is 00:51:33 They sent me one of them. And I said, okay, great, cool. It's pretty well-weighted. It's perfectly balanced and it's very easy to fidget with. Stopping is something that everybody puts off because it is hard. But if you switch to fume, it is easy and it's enjoyable and it's fun. fun. Fume has served over 100,000 customers and has had thousands of success stories, and there's no reason that that can't be you. Join Fume and accelerating humanities break up from destructive

Starting point is 00:53:22 And as I mentioned before, if you're able to and you can, it's in the link of description right now. So if you're watching live and you want to help out the show and you're able to help out the show and you want to get one of these great sponsors that we have, click on it, do it. It helps us out tremendously. All right. Speaking of which, Super Chats, man, you guys sent in a few. We're going to get to them.
Starting point is 00:53:41 We have a couple questions. I'll go through all of them until they're done and then we'll sign off. Here's the first one from our good buddy Gallagos, Christian, Brad, always love catching the live shows. Question. Of all the announced and canceled Lucas film or Marvel projects, which one hurt the most to you?
Starting point is 00:53:59 Cheers and keep up the great work. Well, this is clearly to me. But I would say that the Benningoff and Weiss one, because of what they were doing in general with Game of Thrones, as far setting it up, I know some people had problems
Starting point is 00:54:15 with where they went off the George R.R. Martin's But the fact that they were going to do essentially the history of the Jedi and the Sith and bringing all that up, that to me is the one I would have liked to seem the most for sure. A few of the other ones. Makes sense to me. That I'm, you know, I kind of, like I said, I saw when they dropped all that news. That seems super cool. Yeah, that would have been, that would have been an interesting one.
Starting point is 00:54:39 I'd like to know that. And I think that's something that the general audience would be interested in as well. Yeah, that was really, I mean, I think that's the foggy stuff I'd be interested. interested in, but that would have been good to see what he was going to do. I still don't like the way that was handled. It was like, well, he's doing one. Oh, that was never real talking about. He's talked about Marvel.
Starting point is 00:55:01 Yeah. He was asking Marvel too. Markle or, you know. What was he asking? Marvel, all the, which, which what's just. It didn't happen in Marvel. I think there was one in Marvel that. What was the one in Marvel that I was bummed about?
Starting point is 00:55:13 I mean, Blade right now. I don't know. Blade's going to happen. So Blade, I think, is it the way that's been kind of handled. kind of and even the air devil sure but galgos he follows it up right oh here's an extra fiber for the pizza reviews here's hoping there's review of chicago's gerdanos deep dish one day look the goal is once again i'm gonna i'm actually editing to so this is this is my schedule today i will be answering all these super chats right now then winston and coy come in in like 20
Starting point is 00:55:44 minutes we're going to shoot the capes and cows episode for friday um and then then they will leave. I have a couple of Patreon one-on-ones. Oh, yeah, we moved everything back. All the Patreon, we did these, we did these half an hour. By the way, so there's half an hour sessions on Stream Yard with me. There's like 12 spots. So if you sign up every month or just once, if you sign up, you and I will have a one-on-one chat.
Starting point is 00:56:07 Can me about anything. I've been doing it for quite a while. And then there's another one where there's a 15-minute chat with, could be Brett, could be, it's kind of random. It's been a lot of fun. I enjoyed everyone I've done. The great fans. and it's super cool. Yeah. So that's what we're doing we're doing those. But like my goal is to like to do these to do these reviews. And if we do enough on and people care about them and people actually want to see us do more of them,
Starting point is 00:56:34 the goal is that me and Frank will go fly to other places and do them. But you know, it's got to it's got to make sense obviously for you guys that you want to watch them and us for financially that we can afford it. And Chicago pizza versus New York like it's I don't even think you can even put them in the same category. Deep dish style. It's a totally different style. I don't think they compete again. You could say, oh, I prefer one or the other.
Starting point is 00:56:54 But if you're going to review it, it's not like saying, oh, this is better than this, New York. All right. So this one is from Simon's section. R.IP, Bert Young, Godfather, Rocky, back to school, Christian. You look tired on you're out of the theater reaction. So I was exhausted. But I was exhausted because, well, it was a long day in general. But, you know, three and a half hours sitting there.
Starting point is 00:57:14 I was really tired. But no, I didn't take any bathroom breaks or snacks. I did eat right before I got there, which was good. Otherwise, I would have been miserable. But no, I was, I was tired. But it wasn't tired. It was like, oh, my God, I can't believe it went out. It was just, it was.
Starting point is 00:57:27 And it wasn't just tired because it was a three and a half hour movie. It was tired because of the emotions I went through. Yeah, I bet. You go through a lot in that movie, man. It takes you on like a real emotional journey where it's just like, there's one scene. I'll say is this. There's a jailhouse scene.
Starting point is 00:57:41 There's all I'll say. And it is some of Leonardo DiCaprio's best acting in a while. it really got me like I was yeah it it it affected me for sure um let's see so that was that one let's see there's a couple more short short ones today all right well that's all right there we go um there's one right now generous one here from screwface gene what a great great name everything about avatar is wonderful i don't know if you already talked about this what are your thoughts on the marvel's tracking low if this flips what does that mean for marvel how hard of a hit do they take?
Starting point is 00:58:19 We actually have talked about it quite a bit and we'll probably talk about it again on capes and cows. It's tracking low. It's not, I think it has a lot to do with Marvel, just not being on their game right now. I think it is subpar, comic book movies in general have weighed it down.
Starting point is 00:58:38 I think people are a little tired of it. I think the trailers have been okay. I think that the fact that they can't promote it, the three stars can't promote it, is major. So I think it will be a hard hit, but I think Deadpool will bring them back and they're going to repurpose everything next year. But I think this is the last big hit it's going to take. They're going to have to take it on the chin, say, all right, we, because I don't, I, if, depending on what you believe on the budget, it's pretty, it was like a really low budget at first, but then the real budget came out.
Starting point is 00:59:15 And I think they got to make something like five to 700 to break even. And I don't think that's going to happen. So yeah, it'll be a big head for Marvel. But I think they'll bounce back with with Deadpool for sure. Great, great avatar and name, by the way. Love that. Screw face gene. Is that what that was?
Starting point is 00:59:29 Yeah. I hope we see more a screw face. What a testament to promotion of films though. I mean, that like if you can't have your main actors talking about it, they'll screw the. Yeah, absolutely. Screw to pooch. That's right.
Starting point is 00:59:41 All right. And this next one from our buddy at Harold. Uh, new 15 second. Godzilla minus one teaser. Oh my good reaction. Probably not a reaction on it, but I am excited to see it for sure. We'll be, we'll be watching. Brett and I trying to figure out which movies we're going to do
Starting point is 00:59:54 first, first watches with him. Zuhar Galaxy. I love the show. Can't wait to see you in theory. Yeah, I'm going to do Star Wars Theory show on Monday. He asked me to do we kind of going back and forth on it. And it's funny because like, he and I've always gotten along, but like, and I've told him this. There's a lot of his takes. I just don't agree with. Like he's posted out about
Starting point is 01:00:15 about Andor and says it's not Star Wars. Ander's about as Star Wars as you get when it comes to the build on, on comments on fascism, the actually the intensity of the empire and what they are. Like it's about a Star Wars as you get. But what I like about it is that you can have an actual full conversation with somebody and like, well, here's your points. I don't agree with them because of this and that. And that's that's what I, that's what I want to do. And it's not going to, there's no screaming and yelling at people. It's like we, and he, and he, and he, and he, and he, like Dissoca and so did I. So it'll be an interesting conversation for sure. Mike Joyce, if you're doing pizza reviews like Barstool, can Brett pop in once in a while to be a weirdo? It seems to happen on Barstall. Well, so that's again, we're not going to be doing the pizza reviews like Barstool. Portna's got his own style where, I mean, that's, that's, that's what I was trying to say to people. So it's like people have been doing food reviews forever. He just, look, I give him all the credit in the world. He has, he has turned it into like the thing. He is changed the pizza business. He has helped out so many businesses. And like I said, I want to do it because I'm not trying to like make a major business out of it. I'm doing because I like pizza. I want to talk about a couple of the spots here in LA. I could do a segment on best cold and best reheat. Yeah. Well, you should, I mean, if you come with us to do some of the stuff too, we had to like switch the camera back and forth on us too. Oh, yeah. Buy you free lunch. You come out. Yeah, it's good. All right. This is one of the last ones. Jamaica Queen.
Starting point is 01:01:45 Yeah, man. Just wanted to support the channel. As always, your team is awesome. It's very kind of you. I appreciate you supporting the channel. Very, very nice of you. I think that that might be the last one. I mean, what a way to end it.
Starting point is 01:01:59 What a way to end it. So that's very kind. Thank you to everybody here who joined us today on the big thing. And thank you for, if you put in a regular comment, if you clicked like, if you got one of our wonderful sponsors today, if you put in a super chat anything. Shout out to Matthew Vaughn, whatever you do. Sure, whatever Matthew Vaughn.
Starting point is 01:02:21 All of that. Thank you to Brett. Thank you, you guys. Excited that we're able to do this live again. I'll probably do another one on Monday, perhaps. I don't know yet. We'll see. It's a thing that I'm going to start doing like back up.
Starting point is 01:02:34 There's another one. Just my opinion reviews. Keep up the great work, guys. Thank you. That was very nice. So, yeah, like I said, we'll, we'll, people, put this is usually what happens right as we're about to sign off we'll start putting them in there and then it's like and then we're on for another 10 minutes but um but nonetheless thank you uh what time
Starting point is 01:02:52 i don't know necessarily what time we're going to go live it's not like a it's one of these things that i think that in the past with collider live s en live one of the reasons i got burnt out was doing a daily show live at a specific time um because it just puts a lot of because I got to remember I'm running everything by myself. So it puts a lot of pressure on me to take away other things that I'm doing that I need to get done, editing, all these other things. So by doing a set schedule, it just throws me off. That's why like towards the end of SCN Live, I think Roka was hosting a lot of it and I had to drive over to Skybound and do it. So it was just, it was too tough.
Starting point is 01:03:35 So thank you guys again for joining us on the show for Brett Sheridan. And if you have it already, by the way, I'm sure. sure if you're here you've done this already but we're Brett we're almost at uh we're I think we're like 90 96 now that's awesome 96 we're getting there almost there we're almost at a hundred thousand we're gonna be there I think I'm gonna guess I'm gonna say November 15 will be it will be there and if what I want to do what I was thinking about it is that if we are able to um and if it's not it doesn't happen like during the night when we're sleeping yeah do like a live stream to where we actually I knew exactly
Starting point is 01:04:13 where you're going with it. Yeah. Do like a full live stream as if like if you know, if it's like a Monday or something, I'm like, hey, you know, we're at 99,000 800. I think that we could probably do that on a live stream if we're, you know, and then get people to come on in. So we're getting there.
Starting point is 01:04:30 We're getting close. Thanks for joining us here today. Brett Sheridan, you guys, everybody, Matthew Vaughn. We appreciate you all. We'll see you on the flip side. Thank you guys. I hope you had a good good one. I hope you had some fun.
Starting point is 01:04:42 and we'll see you tomorrow. Yeah, tomorrow. Caputton Cows.
