So many different rumors for who the lanterns are going to be. Brolin, well, maybe he's not going to do it. Well, now, Mahconahey and Ewan McGregor, both rumored to be Hal Jordan in the lanterns series. What's going to happen? Well, we'll discuss that and a lot more on the Christian Harlov show here today. talk to you guys. What we're going to do is we're going to go over these topics that we have today. And then we're going to take some questions. The audience doesn't get a chance to really spend a, I've been doing live with Roka for quite a while, but the audience hasn't have a chance to ask questions to you guys and get opinions on certain things. So we have an opportunity to do it. So we're going to do that and more today. But let's start with this big story here. And that, of course, is this thing. And this is why I'm glad Mike's on today, because he can tell us about All of his thoughts on the lantern stuff. But Ewan McGregor, Matthew McConaughey, up for lanterns?

It's a question from Dark Horizons. The other day came a report that Josh Brolin has been offered the role of Green Lantern incarnation Hal Jordan in the upcoming DC Lantern series at HBO. Well, now follow up by Jeff Snyder indicates that both Ewan McGregor and Matthew McConaughey have been cited as potential backup choices in case. Josh Prolin declined. Well, all three actors are aged in the United States. early mid to 50s, which suggests the series has a specific reason for this older take on the

character. Justin Britt Gibson, Brennan Gibson, and Vanessa Baden Kelly are also rumored to be on board. The series said to be in the vein of True Detective. Follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American Heartland. The series is set to be executive produced by Chris Mundy from True Detective, Ozark, Damon Lindelof, of course, The Leftovers, Watchman, and Tom King. With the latter two co-writing the series, Stephen Williams is reportedly in talks to direct the pilot. The show, part of James Gunn and Peter Saffron's DC Universe, has already received an official

straight to series order. Filming is slated to begin in early 2025 in the United Kingdom ahead of a 2026 release. Okay. So lots coming to. out on the lantern stuff as they're pushing closer and closer. I got to go with you here first, Mike. Give me everything that's going on here. Now, I know I saw your tweet. You love Josh Brolin. You didn't think he was right for Hal Jordan. But here's these three cast. Question one, tell me your thoughts on everything that's been going on so far with the casting. And question two,

do you think that both McConaughey or Hugh and McGreg are the way to go? First off, like, I can't remember back. Yeah, this might back in the DC movie news days, we were talking about Lantern. And I always said, I think, the way do they go, because it's a generational character, like people like myself are Hal Jordan fans, but there's so many people that grew up with the animated series of Justice League that are John Stewart fans,

but you've got to have them both. So it's kind of this mentor, like, training day is a perfect analogy for what the movie should be. So you go to an older Hal Jordan. I've always said, I mean, I know it's TV, but Tom Cruise, you get him, you know, pop him in there. Like he is, Maverick.

is Hal Jordan. There's no world you're getting Tom Cruise in a TV show. I know. I know. It's not, but you need, but on that sake, because I think about more, like, for you with Dune, that grizzled kind of mentor, that's what he played in Dune. So, like, I love Josh Roland. He was my choice for Batman before Affleck. Yeah, that's what people say. He was offered it or was close to getting it. Roka said the same thing. He's like, he's a more Batman than that. Oh, he is. Brolin is a funny dude, though. If you see him in interviews and stuff, too, where he,

I love him. He could pull up. He was one of my favorite. favorite newer S&L episodes. I did not know he was that funny. My sister and I rewatched one of the sketches actually four times in a row. He's funny. He's so funny and he's willing to be stupid.

Yes. Have you seen like his interviews that he did with Ryan Reynolds when they were promoting Deadpool 2? He's hilarious. Now, I think that all three of them, out of the three of them, if you're going to choose the three, I think Brolin's the call out of the three of them.

I think McConaughey's too close to two detectives. if they're doing true detective they're doing that already i think you and mcgregor is great i don't know how funny he is overall but i i think out of the three of them brolin's the call well i mean i don't think comedy has to play into it i think but mcgregor and and mcconaire absolutely not the right choices and the fact that everything with dc so far the casting has been so spot on yeah they did like that superman cast is spot and so i think brolin's the way to go or you go somewhere else if it's not him. They're clearly trying to get a name, which I think is smart. Normally I'm not,

and Mike, you and I are like always like, let somebody be in an unknown. I think for a show like this on a streaming show, getting, if you're going to spend a little bit of money on a big name actor, I think it's smart to get people there, especially when you, A, read the tone of this show, B, look at the people that are involved in this show. Yeah. From True Detective, I mean, Lindelof and Tom King come in. So, like, you have so many people involved in this. They're trying to get it right and they're absolutely you can tell that they're not going stuff in that traditional kind of comic book show that we've seen in many different times they're actually going to really take this thing serious almost in the same way that like chris nolan took the dark night and that

batman said no we're going to take this serious you're going to really believe in all this stuff how do you feel about all of this new stuff i'm not as familiar with lantern as a character but uh to me just from what you guys have discussed and what i've read it does seem like josh and it's a good choice. I do think that I agree that it's smart to get someone a bigger name attached to it, especially when you have big names attached to the entire project. When it is a property, at least for me, I don't know it as well. So it's nice to draw me in in that sense. And then I do think that we're having this switch, another internal switch in the comic book genre where we do want to see a little bit more grounded

and less, it's dependent on the character, but I think that it's nice when it's not just all one style. I like when they're approaching different projects differently dependent on the character and who's attached to the project. I agree. And I think that it's, I like, I like their strategy. I like what they're doing right now in general. And I'm hoping to see, you know, because we've just been in this comic book movie,

like, phase is not the right word, the boom. Since really, I don't know, whether it is Iron Man and Dark Night, I know that X-Men was also a big start of it, but I mean, really when the MCU and everything started to pop to where it was just like next-level stuff, it was around the 2007-2008 area. And since then, we've just seen a lot of movies, and it's hard when you're putting out that many movies to change it up. And I think that the Batman did a very good job in changing it up

and making it feel like a David Fincher movie, you know, and I think that James Gunn pays attention to that stuff. He goes, look, this kind of stuff they like when we changed it up. So let's make this one. We don't need to be super family friendly and everything. And the one, you could see this happening where they're like, hey, if we're going to do a true-do detective style, let's get McConaughey. Why not? That would be great.

It would be something fun to do. He's been it. So I understand maybe that's why they were doing it. But I don't know. Do you think stuff that he would want to do something so similar if it is indeed similar to that tone? Probably, I don't know. I go back and forth. sometimes one of like big actors surprised me when they're like oh yeah i've been wanting to do it i've just

never gotten the call or they go the route like don't ever put me in tights that's so stupid and i don't know what where matthew mccanee lies on that he's like a pretty serious actor even though he's a kind of like the guy next door he's pretty relatable to a lot of people yeah so i'm not sure but it doesn't my gut is telling me he's not super interested it. Yeah, I mean, well, I mean, there's got to be some kind of interest, though, in it if it's at least getting this kind of traction. I mean, there could be as simple of, hey, they went out to McConaughey and he doesn't even know until you just read it on the trades. That's certainly possible. But I also think, Mike, this could be something, you look, both you and McGregor and McConaughey have done television. Brolin's done television. Television is significantly different today than it was 15 years ago. But both those guys, whether it's true detective or, or Fargo, they've done stuff. So you could see that, and I mean,

Obi-Wan, you can see them doing this. So it's, I don't think it's far-fetched as it is. Now, nothing against your call. I think it would be fun, Mike, but against Tom Cruise, it's just not ever going to happen. Oh, I 100% know that Tom, unless he's doing it.

Like, unless he's producing, it's a project to his, like, you know, if they decided Mission Impossible, they were going the TV route with it, he would pop in that. somewhere but that's it I know it's a pipe dream yeah now if they were just doing a movie

then we got a different thing so would you be upset not upset would you if they did wind up going with Ewan McGregor or McConaughey to quality actors would you just be like okay that that's big movie star stuff yeah you know dude it's like hell's probably my

outside of Batman and a couple smaller characters like Hal's like my favorite like so they're just again that's kind of why no offense to round reynolds that's why i've soured on the character even reading the comics from that movie it was just he wasn't held jordan so when when you see something that you love so much and it's it's just not done right and it kind of tanks the thing for a while it just kind of puts it on

the back so i really am hoping they nailed this i really you know i mean i'm trying to think of big name actors outside of brolin right now that i would love to see in the role but it's it's it's tough yeah they're going i mean everyone's always like glen powell i'm like that's so he's a he looks He looks too young from what they're going for. 100% too young right now. He's like, you know, and, you know, his character, you know, I mean, I know my character, my idea of Tom Cruise is right on the nose, but there's so many better roles if Glenn's going to come into the D.C.

universe that I think he'd be much better as. Yeah, I'm, it's interesting. Yeah, Steph, what do you think about them going on the kind of grizzled, you know, mentor version of this character and not the younger version? Do you think this is a good move? And is there anyone else that pops out to you that you can think of? I think it's a good move. I do think that I personally like when we do the whole spectrum of ages for specifically comic

book characters because it is so heavily heavily younger people. And it is nice to see a different perspective of a hero or an anti-hero or a villain that's a little bit aged. And I think it does widen the viewership because it makes it just more relatable for people who know him. But I don't know any other people that I, because I don't know the character that well. It's interesting. I'm seeing like kind of a lot of, not backlash, but people are like, oh, he's going to be old. He's already been Green Lantern.

Let's all just make everyone old. And they're like, the way that they're world building is like some of these characters are being introduced for the first time, but then others have going to be lived in the world. Like in Superman. Superman's the newer one. Right. where they've got metamorpho and Guy Gardner that have been there for a while. And this, it seems like Hal's going to be there for a while.

And we're meeting the lanterns probably through John Stewart and opening us into that world through him, which makes perfect sense. Not every character needs an origin move. Yeah, it's cool. Let's see something different. We don't need an origin a thousand times over. And it's like, I like the idea of it being lived in. And I think that we've seen the universe or shared universe where they are setting everybody up.

We don't need to do that again. It's like, let's just get into it. And I think that it, because the other side of it is like, okay, yeah, but we don't really know a lot about the Green Lantern because we've had that one movie. Yeah, but the audience is so, even the casual audience is so trained on superhero movies at this point and shared universes, they'll be fine. They'll be fine. Right. And remember Jessica Jones and all the Netflix series, Iron Fist, it was like, I wasn't as familiar with those characters and I was right with it. I was so, so into the shows, didn't really care about their backstories, just was like these,

Jessica Jones specifically was my favorite of the three that it just was great. Yeah. So. Great point. Yeah. I am very curious for this one. And I'm actually really excited for their shows that they have. I mean, I cannot.

I know it's not DCU, but I am so excited for Penguin. I know, Mike, you are also. And Steph, I'm pretty sure you're pretty pumped for that one. Oh, yeah. I mean, that's that. Yeah, go ahead, Mike. Oh, I thought you said something. No, no, I'm sorry.

But, yeah, the, the penguin. is going to be great show. And I think that you have to also understand because they're doing it on HBO, HBO Max, it's going to be like an HBO show. The quality of HBO has been phenomenal for years upon years upon years. So that should get you excited

in the same way that when it's on, Lanterns is on this, it should be getting you excited where the flip side is, from what I, even that clip that they put out yesterday of Agatha or whatever, it's just like I was, I wasn't super excited.

decided for it and said, you know what, maybe it'll be okay. And then that clip comes out. And I'm like, I don't know. Did you do, did you see that clip stuff? Yeah, I did. Because we were talking about the other teaser clip that dropped last week. Yes. Yeah. And I actually was like, okay, there are things that I liked, mainly Aubrey Plaza. Yeah, right. Yeah. Right. So into this. It could be very camp in the right ways. And I do still think that it could be its own tone like we're discussing, like having its own tone and sticking to that and it working for that specific project. But yeah, it didn't, it wasn't, it didn't give me more of that feeling. I was kind of like, oh, okay, I'm kind of back to where I was, but I'm still going to give the show a shot. And I still

hope, like we discussed last week, that it's a good October spooky season series. Yeah, I mean, that's what I'm hoping. before there was some reports that they said that it is going to have something to do with the greater universe and at this point i'm like just don't have it be part of the greater universe just just enjoy it as a Halloween special that's what it's going to be and if it's funny it's funny it's i don't understand why it's nine episodes i'll tell you that nine episodes right nine episodes let me guess our episodes too i think so no way are they really no i who knows this could be just absolute BS but i did read something that they were 50 minute episodes Jesus no that's

That's, that's, listen, I'll tell you what, if they, if it's developed and I care about the characters, and that's what they should be. I was, I mean, I'm watching, Steph, I'll be happy to know that, well, I finished the bear, the bear season three. I finished, bear season three. I am seven episodes or six and a half episodes into Shogun. Wow, Christian. You sped through that series.

Nailed it. Slowed out. Nailed it. But I've been, actually, but I've watched four episodes in the last, like, I'm speeding through it. I'm now, I am. And it's, but look, I've been doing a lot.

I've been doing a lot. We did, today we did, we just started our movie reaction, um, series. I did a, I watched, what was the one? I watched, uh, borderlands with Matt Sarah yesterday. Oh, how did that go? Great. He's, he's, he's absolutely. He's the, he's the best.

He's hilarious. That's great. He's so, he's so, the movie go for you. Not so good. Um, and then, but it's, you know, it, and we talked about it. It's just boring. It's just boring. It's just boring.

It's like, you don't really, you just don't care. Well, but there's some, there's some funny lines that, I mean, we're, both of us are, are thrown out there. And then I watched, uh, Sean Malon's trap with Sadie today. Oh. Okay. And, um, well, I don't want to ruin it for you. I don't want to ruin it.

I was the first time I saw it. It was first time she saw it. So we watched it together and we just, that, and that was this morning, and I was supposed to record that tomorrow, this morning at like nine in the morning. And, and we just, and we just, and it was supposed to record that, this morning. And I was like, okay, get that. And then I'll have everything prep for this show. But I had a sound issue that I had to call.

I had to call props to my buddy Luis who helped me out with the sound stuff. And I was able to get it working after about two hours. But the audio from the movie was playing through the roadcaster. And I was like, I can't do that because it's going to get a copyright strike. So I've got to add this stuff into it. So it was a whole thing. And then I saw Beetlejuice last night. We'll talk about that.

We're going to talk about my non-sport. my non-spoiler on Beetlejuice in just a moment. So a lot going on, a lot of great stuff, a lot of fun stuff. So, and then obviously live. As we know, we're going to be live guys for this show. Mike's still trying to figure it out if he can do every Wednesday, but we're going to be live on Wednesday. Steph is going to be on Wednesday.

There's a possibility, which I don't think anybody would be thrilled with, that Mike would be on a different episode, but Mike's still going to be on an episode. We're just got to figure out if he can do, you know, the 10 to 12 for his schedule. So you're looking into that still, right, Mike? I am, yeah. Okay.

All right. Don't leave us. Well, it's, if we're, if it's going to be, like, it depends on the time of year. Like the summer, I can always do Wednesdays. Yeah. If we lost Mike to a Tuesday episode, what that would mean is that the new lineup show on Tuesday would be me, Mike and Roxy, and then the new lineup on Wednesday would be me, Steph, and Brett, which could be fun, which could still be fun. Yeah, that is. Which could be fun. Roxy and Mike in a room is always a good time.

That could be, and yeah, could be fun. So they have them kind of arguing about things would be wonderful. Okay, before we move on and we have other stuff, and I have a story that broke today that I don't think Steph knows yet, and I might read that one next to get, because I know she's going to be excited about this. But we'll talk about that in just a second. Indeed, the animated series is based on Stephanie Myers' Twilight novel. Midnight Sun has given a straight series order at Netflix. Variety has learned. The project was first reported to be an early development back in April of 2023 at Studio Lionsgate Television, Michael Burns, vice chairman of Lionsgate, confirmed in March 2024 that it would be an animated series. Netflix is now developing the project.

Midnight's Sun was originally released in 2020. It serves as a retelling of the first Twilight book from the perspective of Edward Cullen rather than Bella Swan. Cinead Daly will serve as writer and executive producer on the series. Her past credits, Tell Me Lies at Hulu, The Walking Dead World Beyond at AMC,

raised by Wolves and The Get Down at Netflix, all great credits. Meyer served as an executive producer on the series, along with Megan Hibbitt for ficklefish films, yada, yada, yada, a lot of names, names, names. Are we going to see any other cast names? There were originally four novels in the immensely popular Twilight series, and then in 2015, the genders stopped the two main characters, Bella and Edward. Midnight's, I'm trying to think. There's anything else, too. Okay, the films grossed over $3 billion in total and made stars of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Rod.

No mention. There's no world where you're getting Robert Pattinson back for this right now. No way. No way you're getting or Kristen Stewart. Taylor Lautner has probably made eight phone calls to get onto the show. But I would tell you that right now, there's no world you're getting them back. And you don't need them. You know what I mean? You don't need them.

You can do. No. Should they do this stuff? Like, should they do? Because this is a retelling of it. And the reason I ask you that is because is there? because Twilight has a certain feel to it. People are, there's going to be tons of people in the comments right now who are probably

like, oh God, who needs a Twilight series? I don't know. You know, it's right away gets into that thing because it has like, you know, the tween thing. Can they turn it around and make it cool for everyone with this? No. No. No.

Nor should they. Nor should they. It is shouldn't. Right. Listen, not everything is for everyone and we have to be okay. with this. I love that you said that. Yes. We have to be okay with this. This is for me. Don't take this away for me. I don't want to hear your hate. I don't want to hear your criticism. I want this to be for people like me. And that's all you need. That's it. Serve the fans. And that's all you need.

I do think that there's a potential of getting more of a because Netflix has done such a good job of expanding their anime. there's a potential of expanding to anime fans because there's so many different types of anime shows and stupid romance is definitely up there. So I think that it could expand its fan base there without changing the core of it. Stephanie Myers is can be problematic. So it would be nice in terms of like she's not like

it's hard to say that JK Rowling is not one of the best storytellers of all time even though she does annoying. and stupid things. Stephanie Myers doesn't do the greatest all the time, and it's Twilight. So I do think that I would want other people involved in the project as well to still make it a good show, but keeping the essence of twilight.

so it's very nice that you're able to to express yourself I love that Steph said that too many times we are trying to cater to everyone and it's like sometimes shows just aren't for you

And it's like, hey, listen, there is something that you can find that you're going to love it. Yeah. For example, one piece. Love one piece. But I love it. It's not for me. No, no. But I, dude, I, I, sexy arm. I'm telling you. Stretchy. I'm telling you, I felt the same way when I saw that trailer and I wound up loving that series. I loved that series. I loved that. I don't can't watch the stuff I want to watch out here. I don't have time. How you guys watch all this television? Well, it's very hard. I mean, we just talked about it. It's very, someone, someone tweeted me the other day and said, hey, have you finished all of these shows and put the whole thing?

I was like, it is a lot easier for me when shows go week to week. I'm all caught up on Bad Monkey right now on Apple because they go week to week. What's that? That's the Vince Vaughn show. It's, oh, dude, it's pretty good. It's pretty good. Have you seen it stuff? Keep up.

Can't keep up. No, I haven't, but Roxy. said that it's one of the better shows on right now. It's pretty good. But I'm on Rings of Power right now. How was that? I haven't watched a single episode. How is it?

I like Rings of Power. Did you like the first season, though? Yeah, I did like the first season, and I rewatched it with Harry, and I liked it more than I did the first time. Okay. And the second season is off to a great start. It's better. It's better than the first season. I heard that's what people are saying.

Yeah, it's like they took the notes, which I really appreciate, because it wasn't perfect, but there was so much good in the show that it would have been a shame if it didn't have more longevity. Is it too little too late? Meaning, like, how's it doing in the rate? I haven't heard any hype behind that show at all. And I, and I just haven't said, I mean, just normally, you look at, you can tell, if you want to go and you want to tell, you look at certain people's who, when they do reactions to shows, like if, if their reviews or reactions, rather, are doing very well, means the show's popular. It just means it's usually what happens. Unless it's like a particular episode that people want to see. And I looked at like some of the top people and their reactions are

eating it. And that means like no one cares about this show. As at least the way that I look at it. Has Prime had a show that's been massive in that front? The boys. Oh, the boys. And the reactions do really great. Yeah, the boys do pretty well. The boys do pretty well. I think there's other, there's other ones that i'm not thinking of but the boys is the first one that yeah that's a good fallout fallout was pretty good was pretty big i think for people too fallout was big that's true okay so that is a good point yeah i think that it is a little i know it's ironic that a lot of the british fans were like you dumb this down for americans but to me it was still a little bit too convoluted so i'm like am i stupid or do you guys just

ingest entertainment in a completely different way than us so i like that the second season, I feel like it's fixing it. I don't know, it might be a little too late. That would be a shame. I think that the way that I tell if it shows doing well is they look at the actors and how their social media is progressing. And they have some fantastic actors. And they have their social medias haven't done any changes.

But when you watched like the House of the Dragon, like Millie Alpalk was newer. It was like, she had like 40 million people in the second week. Yeah, I think they just had such a bad first season. Not only, not only, not meaning quality, but just as far as fans, critics, it just didn't go. It's hard to bounce back from a season like that. It's like a restaurant that had a really bad opening. And it's like, yeah, but we change chefs now and we have everything to it. It's like, yeah, but I don't want to go back there because the last time I went there, a rat shit in my spaghetti.

It's like, you know, and it's like the same. It's like, that's how they, that's how they feel. fuck do you come up with these things? A rat shit my spaghetti. But it wasn't that bad. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't great. I totally empathized with the criticism.

But one thing that I don't get is that, okay, I don't know if you noticed this, but on Prime, basically everything, like the worst movies ever are rated basically five stars. Like, everything gets five stars on Prime. I don't know how they do their rating system. But Rings of Power had three stars. And I was like, damn. I didn't know it was like. this. Yeah, it was, it really, it really was. I think, do you guys feel maybe it's the fact that, like,

they're coming off the movies. And if you look at those movies, like, like someone would do side-by-side comparisons and just, like, I'm just talking from a production standpoint. It just looks cheap. And it's just like, no, it's not. It just looks so good. It just looks so good. It looks at it. Well, maybe the, the, the, the, the, the first season, there were, there were times that it looked a little, uh, iffy. But I know when it was, first announced, people were going crazy. Like, this is incredible. Hell yeah. And then it came out and it's like, oh boy. Right. Farting to win. Well, I mean, we'll see. We'll see if they can survive because I have heard people who that are watching it like Steph that it's gotten. Look, the trailer,

the second, the last trailer that I saw, it definitely looked better. And I said, oh, maybe I'll check this out. And I every time I, like, I'm telling, I breeze by when I'm going through things, I'm like, well, what do I want to catch up on? Do I want to watch this? And I'm like, you know, my first choice is going to be, if there's a new, episode of Bad Monkey I'm watching that. Okay, not Bad Monkey. Well, I'm going to get caught up and I'm going to watch Shogun. I'm going to finish Shogun. Once I finish Shogun, what am I going to do? I'll probably start the boys. Lord of the Rings is so low on my list right now, because especially, and I will probably check out Agatha before I check out Lord of the Rings because I want to see,

Let's do it. Okay, this one is now Queer and Challenges Director Luca Guadagino, reportedly set to helm Sergeant Rock for DC Studios. Two separate sources are now reporting that Luca from Challengers and Queer is in talks to helm a movie for DC Studios, and it might just be Sergeant Rock. Now, Luca Guadagino, there's no way I'm saying this. I'm going to call him Tom Dangino. Luca Guadiginino.

He's doing, I like him, too, and I can't get his name right. May not seem like the most obvious fit to helm a superbook. Superbook? That's a new one. Does anyone who call it a Superbook movie? Superbooks. The Superbooks. But the filmmaker is believed to be in talks with DC Studios to direct an upcoming DC

project. Jeff Snyder first mentioned it, who's now his latest film, queer is screening at the Venice Film Festival, was being courted for a future DCU project in his newsletter and Nexus Point News later waited claiming to reveal the project he's in talks to direct. According to the site, he is set to helm Sergeant Rock, and his challengers and queer collaborator Justin Cariscus is on board to pen the script. Project is said to be a period piece set during World War II. We have been hearing whispers of a potential Sergeant Rock movie for quite a while and attempts to get a film based on the character on the ground all the way back to the late 80s when Arnold was briefly attached to play the lead.

This is true I was supposed to play, and they said no. Bruce Willis was also said to be in talks to play The Rock and a movie home by Guy Ritchie back in 2008. Producer Joel Silver revealed that this take on the property was going to be set in the future during a 2010 interview. It takes place. It takes a little bit in the future. It's a war movie. It's going to be where it's been. It's going to be where it's going, yada.

That's a silver quote. And I was there when they were developing it. I can tell you a little bit more about that in the second. Anyway, so Sergeant Rock. Mike, before I get into my take on Sergeant Rock and the stuff I know about it from my Silver Days, the thoughts on making a Sergeant Rock movie and the thoughts on Luca directing it. Okay. Like, I'm not a Sergeant Rock guy at all.

Okay. Like, it's not for me. What's the gist? What's the gist? Just in World War II thing? How does it play into the DCU? I don't read the comics. I knew it was a DC character. I knew mainly about it. I mean, I know the character, but I remember from the time of the Schwarzenegger stuff. I think John Cleese, there's a story about how he tanked the deal. He was all set. It was John Cleese that got that movie to not go. Wow. But yeah, it's a war move. Like he's never really tied to DC any other character. I think maybe they would probably think about tying it in with Rick Flagg. senior who's frank grillo's character because i know flag and rock yeah yeah yeah okay so they so they could so they could tie it in one way or another yeah so and there's still up in the air and how that whole thing is going to work out so oh okay well when i was working that i was when i was when i was there when there was one of the many projects that joel silver was developing was

sergeant rock um and eric olson who was one of these executives and a pretty good friend of mine now he was it was his project and he were trying i mean shane black i think at one point was involved in a lot of different people were involved and they had i remember so many different meetings came in because they really wanted to push sergeant rock that quote by silver doesn't surprise me at all he was the king of not wanting to do period pieces when when i was able oh dude we had we had the warner bro we had the wonder woman's script and it was jose whedon's wonder woman and it was a really it was not a good script it wasn't good And I had this guy,

Genesis and Strickland, where the guys I've told this story many times over, but there are two of my friends that wrote a spec script from Wonder Woman, and I thought it was so good, I took it to Susan Downey,

Downey's wife, she loved it, who then took it to, well, I first sent it to my friend Trevor Engelson, who got them, what got them agents because he knew it was good.

He's like, yeah, and then we took it, then Susan loved it, took it to Warner Bros. They wind up getting rid of John, or not continuing, Joss Whed, and they took the script.

Their script for Wonder Woman was period, piece and it was fantastic. Joel's like I like the script it's fine but put it today doesn't need to be period piece and it's like no no it has to be period piece. It didn't want to do peated period piece stuff said it will never work period piece stuff wrong and the same way that he's Sergeant Rock doing it modern day wrong put it in World War II do it do the source material stuff the military movie I mean I know it's in the but like Rock just fit that period yeah yeah but

so stuff I'll throw it to you more so about the the the direct Luca, who's been, call me by your name and so many other things. Did he do challengers? Yeah, he did challengers. Yeah, and then he's doing the new movie with Julia Roberts. And so that's a new one also. So then, and I think that also the girl from Sydney from the bear is also in that movie. So the new one that they're doing.

But the director, having him to do this is also a statement in the same way, but is it a dangerous? Not dangerous in like, going to get you canceled or something. But in the way that, what's, Chloe Zhao, not a, not someone you're going to go after. You know what I mean? And you, and you have her do Eternals. I liked Eternals, but clearly made a Chloe Zau movie. By getting Luca, are you getting someone who's a big comic book person? Or are you just getting someone who's going to make a film for you?

That's a good question. I think that he's not super stylistic. I mean, he is stylistic, but it's not like a, you know what you're going to get every single time i feel like call me by your name and challengers has a different vibe to me and i do think that he always takes different approaches to the movie whereas chloe jow i was only familiar with the what was it called her oscar winning movie which was oh right right clearly different than what you would think so that's all i knew so i wasn't like totally shocked that her marvel movie was a completely

different approach than most Marvel movies where as him I don't know it could be that way but I do think that there's a little from I've seen more of his work to think that there's more range right I would like to see what he would do I like the idea of yeah because this is also the difference of when you have someone like James gun because when it comes to if you look at these people you're a hypocrite because you say when Kathleen Kennedy does that you know you don't like it yeah but here's the difference though Kathleen Kennedy's is not locked into the lure of Star Wars. She just not. James Gunn is locked into this stuff and putting together a through line of all the stuff and telling the story. If he feels like, hey, you know what, we want Sergeant Rock to kind of go this way

and have this and we want Luca to come in and bring his vision to it and that would be so great if we had him do like a World War II version of this thing and we put it together and had Luca do it that'll bring some class to it. I can help with keeping the story together. I think that's why it makes more sense

because I don't feel pun not intended that he's just going to bring in hired guns to do these movies. He's going to do people that he's going to help further the the continuity of what he's trying to put forward because this is a DCU movie apparently is what they want to do and it's not just an

elseworld's thing. So I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. Guys, do you like this idea? Do you not like this idea? What say you? Put your thoughts in there. This is just an article in comic movie about whether or not there's a post-credit scene. The short answer is no, there's not. And I'm just going to leave the little photo up here. I'm going to do a non-spoiler review of it on my own and just a little bit about. I can also give my kind of non-spoiler thoughts here. I'll start with, I'll ask Mike and Steph, are you guys overall, I mean, are you with big Beetlejuice fans, respect the Beetlejuice, don't care. Steph, start with you.

I love Beetlejuice. I absolutely love it. Huge fan. It's so awesome. I was a little bit nervous about a sequel, about a sequel coming out because it's such a perfect movie to me. But then I saw the trailer and I've seen some of the interviews. where he's discussing kind of the inception of the story and how it came to be and how he couldn't have written it 10 years ago. And so that always makes me feel a little bit more comfortable that it wasn't trying to get a sequel, but rather the story kind of fell upon him.

And then the addition of Jenna Ortega just makes so much sense. So I'm really excited about it. And you loved Wednesday also, right? Loved Wednesday. Right. So his new stuff of the past three years has been really working for me. Mike, do you, are you Beatles, guy? Um, I like it.

Like, I, I could take it to leave it. Like, I talk to some people. I have, like, I have some very good friends that Beetlejuice and everything about this is their personality and they love this stuff. So that's to me, like the people I go to, like, if there's a Batman movie, people or DC, they'll come and ask me because they know that's my jam. She was very kind of I was like oh you don't like it do you she's like no the performances are great I just yeah it was good this movie yeah so so when it's when you're a beatlejuice fan it like a hardcore and that's the vibe I got I'm like okay she's like people like it it'll be fun I saw people it's interesting this is one of those movies where the initial reactions people like ah movie of the summer it's gonna do gang busters and now is it's closer people like

people like it'll be good so I'm like where that transition happens it happens every now and then we'll get a film like that yeah that was one yeah well that was people when they saw it like this movie's gonna kill comes down it's like oh well this movie this I don't know man there's two different oh no no this movie's already tracking at $100 million

opening weekend this movie's going to crush this movie's going to crush there's no let me ask you guys this because I had this debate with some people go ahead Billy when it comes to Michael Keaton which role is he more known for Beetlejuice or Batman Beetlejuice Get the fuck out of here

I'm telling you. You are out of your damn mind. There's one Beetlejuice. I mean, the play. You ask 100 people. Yeah. And 99 people will say Batman. Out of your friends.

it's a crazy um like if batman one i wouldn't be surprised is what i'm saying you asked me what i thought and i think to be especially because of what's happening right now in you know pop culture zikegist i think yeah no you can't take that you got to take that out of the equation you just got to say like in the at the end of his career well but you can't take that out of the equation because it's it's adding it's adding to it okay that's i'm saying yeah and then next year they're are you saying up until up until yesterday what was he known for when he's dead and gone yeah What role will he be known for? Like, for example, Nicholson, he'll be known as the Joker over like the Shining.

Are you out of your mind? It depends, it also depends on who you're asking. It depends on who you're asking.

If you're asking our parents, if you're asking our parents, they ain't saying the Joker. You're taking people that have never seen the Shining or Batman. And in theaters, they didn't grow up with those movies. They're just seeing them now. Yeah, it depends on who you're talking to. All right. Batman is in the zeitgeist constantly. Sure.

But I think you could also ask the same question. If you ask someone you said, okay, when you think of the Joker, who do you think of? They're saying Heath Ledger first. They're saying, saying Jack Nicholson. Right. You're wrong. That's a generational thing. That's right.

But more, but more, but Heath Ledger has hit to the younger generations more than Jack Nicholson has. and you know if you but it's just in the same way the caesar romero hit it for people too you know so it's it's difficult and as those generations die out it'll go more towards a certain one it's a little morbid but i understand the point no one's saying caesar romero but if you said back 30 years ago or 20 years ago you might have people saying romero over nicholson right and it depends on it depends on when it lands and then look but beetlejuice and batman two years we all know we all know it's jared letto right of course no yes yes no no

Or Mark Hamill, some people will say as well. You're right. That's true. You're right. But it's hard because Mark Hamill is Luke Skywalker, all and off screen. Well, that's another question. It would make, what would you say? There's no world where you would say that he's known more so than the Joker than he is Luke, right?

No, absolutely not. So that proves that I'm not biased towards it. He's Luke Skywalker. Yeah, well, that's also an anime. People mention the Joker. Maybe because it's animated. It doesn't ring is true to, not true to, not the first one like, oh, yeah, Hamill. I understand.

I before, because I'm going to, I'll give my thoughts on Beetle juice. So as I said, there was, you were talking about your friend, Mike, who said, yeah. I'm pretty much in the same vein, right? It's where it's, I went in going, this is my most, one of my most anticipated movies of the year. Oh, was it? Yeah, it was, I, I'm not like a massive Tim Burton fan, but I love Beatle juice. It's my favorite, it's probably my favorite Tim Burton movie.

I love, yeah, and I love, and I, and, and, you. even I found even more of a love for it over the last couple years because my, my oldest loves it. And we've kind of bonded even more because of it. I took her to see the play and all that. And I just think Michael Keaton is so incredible in that role, which is also maybe the, why I'm biased. I think I like him better as Beetlejuice and I do Batman. I love him as Batman, but I like him better as Beatles because he gets to be funny. Like he's, he's funny.

And Beatlejuice is funny. And so, and I wound up when I saw this movie, I felt the whole time watching and I felt like a little kid. watching because I could see Beetlejuice up on screen again. And I said, and my reaction, I said, it's good. I wanted it to be great. You know, who doesn't want, if you love a movie, a character, you want the second one to be the best. You wanted to be the Empire Strikes Back.

You wanted it to be the, you know, you want it to be amazing. And I want to go, and this is good. And I feel like every, if you're a Beatles fan, you have to see this movie in the theater. You have to. And seeing Winona Ryder back as Lydia was so much fun. Jenna Ortega is great. I think that her story is the one,

that there's, it's like a grounded story, and then if something happens, the movie goes bonkers by the very end of it. And it's like, okay, like the very ending, I'm like, I don't know what the hell's going on anymore. I'm like, but I don't really care. I'm having fun watching it. But I thought it was good.

I thought it was good. Catherine O'Hara? Great. Great. Everybody in about Justin Thoreau, great. Oh, really? Justin Thro's great. Yeah, he, I don't want to see he plays the Otho type character,

but he's got to serve, like, that type of thing. My friend was very disappointed, not in the performance. Oh, am I frozen here? Yeah, you're frozen. Perfect. It's good. So good. Yeah, there we go.

Okay. My friend was very disappointed because they were looking forward to this person was Willem Defoe. Oh, yeah. Not because of his performance, just he's just not given anything. Yeah, there's really, there's, and the same thing with the Baluch. Right. So there was Monica Bluch. Yeah, she said her too.

That was kind of like I wanted more. It's a shorter movie. It's like 1.45 and there's a lot going on. There's like five different stories. There's Jenna Ortega's story. There is Winona Ryder and Justin Thoreau's story. There's Catherine O'Harris story. There's Beatlejuice's story.

There's Monica Balucci's story. I mean, there's a lot of stories that are happening, and they all have to tie up. And it's like, it's a lot. But I was never bored. And I was always interested. Like I said, I always had that Kool-Aid smile on my face watching it going, oh, this is cool just to see.

And Beetlejuice's bad. and to be in that world again. And I love the fact that they put it in the, you had the sandworms and the actual claymation and all that. They didn't try to go to CGI with it. Oh, good. Yeah, yeah. It feels, it feels, it doesn't feel like this doesn't feel like Beetlejuice.

It doesn't feel like, it feels like a Beetlejuice movie. It just, you look in the same way that Wayne's World 2 feels like a Wayne's World movie. It's just the first one's better. Now, Harleff, I'm with you on this in the sense that I want everything you're saying about this movie like that is exciting. I don't want people to say, well, if it doesn't hit $400 million, it's a bomb. Like, the first movie wasn't a big success.

Like, it got traction later. I don't know. I think it did pretty well. It did well. The studio loved it because they gave him Batman off of it. But, like, I want this movie just be, like, do you know how much did it cost, you know? I feel like it was only like 80 million or something like that. And I think something along the long.

Yeah, I don't think it was a ridiculous amount. And I think that from what I read, people can tell me in the comments if I'm wrong, but I think it was 80 million. And I think that it's already projected to do 100 plus opening weekend. That's a big weekend for a September movie. Could be one of the bigger ones. I'm very curious to what the big September movies are going to be. You know, the biggest one financially, I don't know. But this is going to be a movie that people can.

And you can rewatch it. You can go. And I think that be, I do think, look, when I with my screening last night was half, critics half like fans. There were people dressed up as Lydia Dietz in the red outfit. There were people dressed up as Beetlejuice. There were people like,

this is why in the same way that people were taking pictures as Barbie and do it, this is one of those films. It felt like an event film. If like, and that was that half screen, half critics, half fan thing. This movie is going to clean up and people will go back and see it again.

They will. Because it's fun to see Beatles just back in the theater. Yeah. So. Yeah. Yeah. And it's cool. seeing that Barbie started this revolution of

going to the theater and dressing up and... Again, you mean. Paying homage. And we found out recently it doesn't work for every movie. But... What was the other one? What? What was the other one? Oh, it ends

with us. Oh, people were dressing up with that? Well, you didn't hear about all the Blake lively... Oh, I know there was controversy. I didn't know people were dressing up. Okay, so that's part of the controversy. There's an interview where she says... More Controvers. Wear your florals. Oh.

And people are like, why are you talking? They didn't agree with the tone of how she was lightning the subject of the movie. Right. And then kind of wanting to get fans in while overshadowing the point of the movie. So it was a huge thing. And needless to say, I don't think that many people bore their florals. Interesting. Yeah.

I feel like Fortnite has kind of surpassed Minecraft is like the go-to game that everyone's playing. Minecraft seems a couple years ago maybe. I just remember them walking around Comic-Con with those foam. It's like Legos, but it's not Legos because you can build with blocks and they got like block foam swords and they're hitting people over that. heads with them with trees and hey man I'm just an old man at this point to these all these young kids with their stuff they grow up with now so look the trailer itself I was talking to Luke before from galaxies he was telling you he's like this seems like a fever dream it does it seems like

an acid trip this whole thing it really it really does like the the actual uh trailer itself and what I can say it's too short of a trailer to say what it's going to be is it's either going to be Jumanji or it's going to be the emoji movie you know know it's going to be one of those two things where meaning that or was or pixels remember the movie pixels that i'm seeing the movie that wasn't very good um can this movie be good maybe the tone does seem like it's going to be really ridiculous and at least they're they're leaning into the idea of it it does look authentic to the game i can tell you from look for i mean as far as the look goes uh where my daughter used to play it and the things that i used to see it was like oh

that reminds me of when I would see Bibi's iPad and she was playing that thing and that makes sense. But the story that I was seen in this trailer stuff, I don't know what the hell I just watched. Yeah, I felt similar. Okay, to me, a lot of the trailer I liked. I was like, okay, this is a funny tone, but I also was like, I have no idea what the story is about. And that's a make or break of the entire film. This could be like an hour 30 to two hour movie SNL sketch. or it could be something very unique and different.

I think that for me, the way it would probably work is if it went more into adult humor with this childlike animation. But there are kids in the crew, so either it's gonna be really kiddie mixed with that, which might be tonally weird for me, or it will be like kids who are funny and can hang. And then it could be a good mixture,

but I don't know what the role the kids are going to play and how much they're catering to just a children audience, like the Lego movie, or if it is more like meta, weird. That's a good point. It's like who's, as I mentioned earlier with Borderlands, I don't know if that movie knew who they were aiming it towards.

There's, like when I'm watching that movie, it looks like this, it looks like spy kids, but sometimes it's really violent. And then there's like sexual innuendos. And there's like things that just, but it, it's like all over the place.

It didn't really know who was going after. It's like, who's this movie going after? And who's the tone and have they decided kind of exactly what they're going to be? So we will see. I'm like, that's the dumbest thing that you could possibly say unless you're not the dumbest person in the world because like they're, that is so stupid because the whole point is with, first of all, Ryan Johnson, I think he's a great filmmaker. I think he's a great filmmaker. I don't like The Last Jedi. It got worse for me every time I saw it.

And that doesn't mean that I didn't, didn't love a lot of the other stuff that he's looper is fantastic the knives out movies I still yesterday stood by the fact that I don't think that the studio should be giving him $210 million to make a knives out movie but if he can get the money good for him you know whatever that's fine but this this stupid rhetoric that of the if you don't like the Star Wars stuff that you are anti-Star Wars and you hate it's like no I just I I use the same damn thing that there's two sides of it is that you've got to when it comes like a sports team again the team just doesn't have a good coach and it needs a better coach and needs a better lineup and it needs

needs a face lift this is what i've been saying and i hope it's true and the other side's like well you're placating you're saying it's a business decision you got to placate to the haters no i'm saying what i say is that you've got to make sure that if you're spending 180 million dollars you've got to make a movie that everybody loves you got to make it you just or it's you're not going to get everybody to love, but you know what I mean? Like the majority of people have to like it, no matter what your political differences are. You've got to get everybody to like it. If you're spending that kind of money on a show or a movie, you have to take that into consideration because it is a business decision. It is. You don't have to mean that you have to like cater to people that are hatred and you don't

have to like just do things and set you back in progression and things that you've done, but you have to do things in a way. And I'm not talking and I was never talking about casting, which is a stupid thing that this person said. I'm talking more, I'm talking more so about. like certain ways you craft stories and certain things like even who was it oh I mean Gen Ortega said it the other day when it comes to did you see this comment by Jenna Ortega about the the Jamie Bond thing that she said no she said that she said that women need to have their own franchise they need to have their own franchises strong women and not just gender swapped these older characters and stuff she

doesn't need to see a Jamie Bond because it takes away from trying to create new heroes and new franchise. I love that comment. It's true in the same way. It's not like it's never happened. You look at Tomic Blonde. You look at these other movies. You certainly have.

And look, Furiosa isn't a gender swap, obviously. It's a character that came in there and was able to, and I like that movie a lot. But like stuff like that. And so I think that there's ways to do it where you're not forcing stuff and you're doing things in a way that the audience and everybody else feels like it's actually like you're, you just want to make good stories. Yeah. Right. Yeah, I think she's made a few good comments on this press run that I really like Jenna Ortega. She's, I like how she's very herself, but she does have, she's not like she's saying what she's supposed to say.

She says her own opinion. And she was talking about how the Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, the practical effects and the magic of being on set with practical effects and how people should do that when they can. Yeah. And I thought that was cool too. What I think's cool is how for some reason, when I just, I was looking at the pole stuff and then I froze it and got this. Yes. High five. Hi five.

And they were just shitting on the game, just like saying that it was. was not good. It was glitchy. They didn't like, like the, I forget what the word is, but, oh, the stealth mode was stupid. And so we were a little bit nervous about it because it was $100 and it wasn't on Steam.

$100. Yeah, it was $100. For a game? Yes. Were you buying like the special edition or something? No. This is the Star Wars game, right? Oh, they've won that's 72.

Okay. So you got special. Yeah. So you got special. on. They're all like, they're like 60 bucks. All those movies, all those games now are like 6999. I thought they were, I was used to 50 and, um, but it's interesting because we're so excited for the next Assassin's Creed to come out. It's like samurai time. Right. Hell yeah. So we're like, we would spend a law on that, but this one I'm a little bit nervous on. Oh, you haven't played yet.

Or you did. Apprehensive. So we did get it. Okay, okay. And Harry's been playing it all weekend. And he actually really likes it. Okay. It looks really good, but it does get glitchy. How's the story? The story's cool. He says it gives him Indiana Jones vibes, classic, that Han Solo character, which I think they were going for,

and so they achieved that in that sense, but he was showing me parts where it got really glitchy, and that does take you out of the game. That's something I think they'll fix as they do patches and stuff. Yeah. But the game isn't as bad, at least for us. Okay, so you enjoyed it. Yeah.

People are talking about this. And now maybe they're like, hey, George, can you be able to be able to be in a little bit. not do that and maybe it maybe get something done so maybe i'm wrong you know maybe it is something

quality to him but never really nailed anything big but this movie he was great in if he could do a performance like that I'm not serious when I see roles like this where I've seen the actor they're trying to make him the next big thing and like sons of anarchy that was the thing that hit for him yeah it's a lot of the Game of Thrones cast deals with that where they but with him i wonder if it's a case of the character was just perfect for him or is the combination of the character and the director being able to pull that out because like yeah that to me was oh fuck me but there we go um yeah i love him in that movie he is yeah he's really he's really good and as i thought tom dynino's really good in that movie too oh so that carry it's it's so dagnino it's i like him he has a few

I mean, that's why, jokingly, again, aside, I said Tom Cruise, is like, he's going to be in the movies. you know he'll be in the TV show or maybe they're going to kill him off in the series and eventually like but whoever that question they're 100% right like Stewart was going to be the lantern that's the main guy it makes sense yeah especially when he pops in a movies is going to be

some pretty bad reviews I'm a huge DC fan but I didn't love that taking the character Phillips never does good with sequels. I saw the opposite. I saw people who were raving about the movie, and then I saw mixed. I didn't see anybody getting bad reviews, but that doesn't mean that you're wrong, Pete. That's just what I saw.

I saw from the report, and I was actually going to report on this for one of our stories, but I didn't. But I've seen mixed reviews. Some saying it was really great, some saying it was just okay. I haven't seen bad, though. Have you guys, Mike,

you were probably paying attention to this. What have you seen? I saw some reviews last thing. The ones I'm seeing are like it's getting the reviews are going to be the same exact as the first one. Okay. People are going to be like, I don't know what I think. I don't know what's going like I love like like because I remember when the first movie came out. It wasn't the reviews that was like went nuts.

It was when the audience saw for the first time that opening weekend, the audience was like this is. I remember like because it's tough like I love the movie, but I have a hard time watching it over again. Like it's tough to watch. Yeah, it is. It's tough to watch. I think that's the movie. you don't go, man, I came out feeling good. This is a fun movie, a summer movie.

Like, yeah, I had popcorn the whole time. It's like, this is like, that, it's fascinating to watch and you're into it. It's a character study. And again, this seems like it's going to be almost the same time of it. The same time of it. The first one wasn't a musical. So it's like, I think, I think it's tracking to do exactly what that first one did, reaction wise.

You're saying that Florence Pug is more popular than Julie Roberts at a height of her. I think attractiveness is where it came down to. Oh, attractiveness. There's something with Florence that I'll see her, and I'm like, that's very attractive. And then other times I'll see her, like, not at all. Yeah, that's how I feel. Julia Roberts have never gone. You're not attractive.

It's like, yeah, they did. Can I say something? Yeah. This is the problem with the movie industry. And people have made me that see it. Like that a movie originally, and I remember there's an article with Walberg. He was originally attached to play Nathan Drake. Delay, delay, delay.

They come to him and was like, hey, we're finally going with the movie. He's like, all right. He's like, yeah, but you're not going to play Nathan anymore. Right. Oh, when I'm playing? You're playing Sully. Like, they just picked and moved him to a different role, completely different personalities on these actors and characters.

Yeah, he's the farthest thing from Sully ever. And it's like to make it work, they give him a mustache for the end. It's stupid. Yeah, it's stupid. Yeah, it was, that should have been a TV show. That should have been a TV show. That's trying to be a great show. Great show.

There's so much material that you could do. I hope that they eventually reboot that whole damn thing, although they're going to make a sequel because it because they made money. You do it, you do it. You'd do a Tomb Raider TV show. Eventually you have the two of them meet up. Gold. There you go.

It's sad that studios feel the need to just reboot sequels instead of creating original work. Yes, I mean, look, there's times that you can create, you can do, but this is the thing that I will disagree with on that, that there are tons of original material.

And most of them can be found probably now on streaming is that that's an unfortunate part. but there's tons of original content. There's tons of original shows. There's tons of original movies. There's tons of them. And then there's original movies that come out that people don't see. And so that's why. But to say that they don't make original stuff isn't factual.

Now, what they're spending the majority of money on is a different conversation. The majority of money turns out to be reboots, sequels, all those things because they're trying to take a sure bet. But I don't know. Steph, do you agree or disagree with any of what I do. just said there. Yeah, I think it's, I can understand from a money standpoint why they want to do big franchises and names that already have attachments to things. So people don't have, they don't have to explain themselves. It's already built in audience. But I do think that there's a, especially people who are love art just for art in the creative process. They want to see newer things.

I think it's like half and half. So I think that she's going to be around for quite a while. I think she's going to be one of those people you start hearing about her name all the time.
