The Kristian Harloff Show - Fan REACTIONS! To 30 Minutes Of SUPERMAN REVEALED!

Episode Date: June 20, 2025

On today's episode of The Kristian Harloff Show, Kristian is joined by Coy Jandreau and Winston Marshall as they dive into the massive fan reactions to 30 minutes of SUPERMAN footage revealed at an ex...clusive preview screening! This is the most we've seen from James Gunn's DCU debut — and fans have a lot to say. From the brand-new theatrical poster drop to early SUPERMAN box office tracking suggesting the film might open as low as $90 million, the DCU conversation is heating up. We also break down James Gunn's bold moves, including his decision to cut a notorious flying scene from the final movie — and his response to those calling for The Batman Part II to be canceled ("Get off Matt's N*#s!"). Other topics include the addition of Clayface to the DCU's "Gods and Monsters" slate, insight from Lanterns pilot director James Hawes about how the series will evolve from grounded to cosmic, and a big update on Star Wars' "New Jedi Order" movie starring Daisy Ridley — now reportedly on hold again. 💬 Plus: Viewer questions and more superhero deep dives! #Superman #JamesGunn #DCU #SupermanMovie #TheBatmanPartII #Clayface #Lanterns #NewJediOrder #StarWars #DaisyRidley #MovieNews #ComicBookMovies #DCStudios #SupermanPreview #SupermanReaction #WinstonMarshall #CoyJandreau #KristianHarloff #TheKristianHarloffShow #MovieDiscussion #FanReactions #DCUniverse #SuperheroMovies #FilmTalk #NerdNews #PopCulture  SPONSORS: TRADE COFFEE: Right now, Trade is exclusively offering our listeners 50% off your one month trial at https://www.drinktrade.com/KRISTIAN That's drinktrade, T-R-A-D-E.com/KRISTIAN for 50% off your one month trial.  https://www.Drinktrade.com/KRISTIAN HYDROW: Skip the gym, not the workout—stay on track with Hydrow! Starting point is 00:00:00 Superman news is everywhere, man. Now it looks like James Gunn, what's he say? He says, that shot that he was so pissed off about, I wasn't going to use that in the first place. Do we believe it? We'll talk about it. Fan reactions coming in hot on Superman. So we'll discuss that.
Starting point is 00:00:20 There's so much going on in the world of comic book movies today, guys. Lots of it. And we're going to break down as much of it as we can with the crew of my Self tank boy just kidding um coy jondro Winston a marshal it's capes and cows everybody you ready me too man me too welcome back ladies and gentlemen ladies and gentlemen it is capes and cows it's christian olf show here today on this friday joining me as always on the show is one Winston A. Marshall, Coy, Jean-Drow.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Gentlemen, how the hell are you? Sleepy. Who are you telling, bro? Well, that's a great way to start. I want it. Not sleepy. We've told you guys so many times about magic mind. And I'm so excited to tell you more about magic mind.
Starting point is 00:01:42 before you even start but so great Winston they sent you a bunch of stuff man they sent both you guys a bunch of stuff look at this all three they said they said i'll grab the one i'm going to be using today but they sent me all three they sent me the ogy they sent me the max and they sent me the free yep which free not free in price free is in free of caffeine that version of magic mind yeah what's great about is that magic mind said listen you know we're basically going to send you guys this stuff we want you to drink each one of them for six days, you know, two days for each and we'll see which one kind of works the best for you. For me, it's, I still, I love the OG. The other stuff that works great. I love the OG. I love the focus and all that, but I'm
Starting point is 00:02:23 curious. So, Winston, what about yourself? Yeah, man. I really enjoy all three. I find that the max is perfect for a day that I don't need my coffee. That's one of the things that they said that it's a nice add-on to like, whatever caffeine, but the max is perfect for the day that you're like, I don't need my coffee it gets me right i'm good to go coi what about yourself i'm a max guy on a day that i'm overburdened like i drink i like the regular on a day that i'm actually good at work life balance but when i've done the usual and i've ruined my life uh the max is the way to power through because it's it's i mean i talk about it all the time they always sound like buzzwords but the evenness of the magic mind elevation allows you to like have a 14 to 17 hour day as opposed to
Starting point is 00:03:05 like, but I, I'm rocking a free today because I did not schedule well. This is my third podcast. So a little of this. Little of this. That's coy. Same thing, bro. It just me that sharp edge it is right there, but I can still have my caffeine. It's perfect.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Because this is caffeine free. Yes. And this is caffeine full. Yes. It's actually, it's pretty wonderful. So I would, I would highly recommend. And the good news is, too, if it doesn't work for you, they're going to offer 100% your money back, which is a great deal in general.
Starting point is 00:03:38 You won't need it. But I'll put the links in the description there and make sure that you guys check it out. Because we love ourselves some magic mind. We've been with them for a very long time. You guys know it. We love it. And we'll put the, again, the link will be in the description. So look at that.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Look at that. Starting already, everybody. Starting everybody. Everybody, everybody. Everybody. People ask how you doing? I don't usually go. I want to talk about a sponsor, but magic mind, I love you.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Yeah, you're off the screen again, Corey, but it's all right. Let's start with some stuff here with Superman. I mean, it's going to be Superman heavy for the next couple of weeks, guys. We know that. Coy knows that. Coy today had, James Gunm was on the DC show, so make sure you guys go check that out. It's happy to see them on there. It's happy to see Coy finally on the couch.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I'll say it. He belongs there. All right. Superman gets a new theater. theatrical poster as fans share reactions to 30 minute preview of the screening that they saw 30 minutes of footage from James Gunn Superman screen during a fan event in Manila yesterday and Manila yesterday and some reactions for those in attendance alongside with an awesome new poster the Superman world tour kicked off in the Philippines yesterday with around 30 minutes of footage from the movie screened at a fan event which James Gunn and stars David Corrinsoit Rachel Brosnahan attended full break down on the preview has not been shared online, but from what we can gather, it was from early on in the movie, not the very start, and not too surprisingly, didn't feature any major reveals. We do have some reactions from fans who caught the screening, which are all highly
Starting point is 00:05:16 positive. In addition, a new poster for the DC reboot has been released, giving us a retro-style look at the Man of Steel with the supporting characters feature below in the style of the original theatrical one sheet for Richard Donner, Superman the movie. We also have a leaked version of the teaser that was shown at the event, but it contains only one new shot of Lex Luthor, a.k.a. Nicholas Holt. All righty, let's see. Superman hit box office tracking. Predictions into 95 to 135 million.
Starting point is 00:05:45 It's a big jump. Opening weekend range. Movie has already taken in 10 million from ticket pre-sales alone. Wow. That's more than the Marvel's maiden. It's tire run. I kid. I kid.
Starting point is 00:05:57 All right. So the next. Next thing there you get some again you have David Corrin sweat and Brosnahan some more people just kind of Travis Kelsey for a second I was like why is he in window so I said no way I saw the first 30 minutes of Superman I've been so hopeless the entire day needs to say it was damn beautiful I'm flew by and Superman himself in the castes right in front of me we were treated to the world's first 30 minute previews Superman and wondrous iMac during the global town towards first stop let's see I got the chance to watch first 30 minutes Superman it was amazing James Gunn is done it. Let's see. Okay. Okay. Superman also stars and does everybody. Okay, great, great, great. All right. So,
Starting point is 00:06:40 I'm, I'm, I'm, there's two things. The first is awesome that they were able to show this. Awesome for those people who got a chance to see it, right? I take these reactions the same way that I did from, uh, Jurassic World the other day. When Jurassic World, people who got to see this thing and are all hyped up and Superman himself and Lois Lane come out, um, I take it with a grain of salt. and take it with a grand assault. Not to say I don't believe them. I just, I take it with a grain of salt because you can get intoxicated
Starting point is 00:07:06 from that environment. You guys been guilty of it. We've all been guilty of it. You see that all these things, the environment, I mean, Winston, I always bring it up,
Starting point is 00:07:15 Thor, love and thunder. Everybody was, everybody was sniffing something. I did not, I had a gas mask on. Everybody else got hit, not me.
Starting point is 00:07:24 But it happens. So these people were excited to see it. Again, not taking away that this all could be very, very legit, but I think we have to wait until the, you know, the fans are going to pay for or go and check it out and see the full thing and all that. But I don't know, you might feel differently.
Starting point is 00:07:43 What about you? I think it's not even just that. I think it's, you know, I think about sadly, Craven the Hunter where the first 10 to 15 minutes, I was like, what was everybody talking about? This movie is fantastic. And then the movie got started for real. And I was like, oh.
Starting point is 00:08:02 And so I think the other thing that has to happen, 30 minutes is not nearly enough. You need the full movie. You need the full completed movie. And it's the same thing we've been saying for weeks now about any of the screenings that were happening that were test screenings. That is, it's in the name for those that it's a test. It's to see what works, what doesn't work, what do we need to tweak, all that kind of stuff. And like you said, this is a fan event. This is a press event.
Starting point is 00:08:26 People are hopped up on Superman. People are in Superman outfits. They record sports, what's walking by, people like, oh, my God. So, like, it's not going to have quite the same effect versus, you know, I understand people that don't want to trust critics fully, but I would rather hear what critics are going to say at a completed film as to what's going on. And truthfully, more so from the critics screening than the premieres. People from the premieres, like you said, you get high off their own supply.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I can admit it. I was wrong about Love and Thunder. It is what it is. but you know it happens it happens i mean it's it's that's that's that is the intent of that that's what people don't understand people are doing they say like are the you know the studios will pay you they pay you to review it positively they're manipulate yeah completely now they can manipulate you that hey you want to come to this press event hang out with the rock and then go see the movie with the rock you know it's like the whole time you're there the rock says something you feel like
Starting point is 00:09:21 ha ha ha ha that was amazing rock oh it's a good time with the guy i don't want to say anything negative about his movie that it happens to people I see it. It happens to people. They don't tell you. They don't ever tell. And I've never once had anyone say, hey, there's a positive review, will you? Hey, you get a good time, right? But if they got drinks first.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Right. I have been to press screenings, not even events like this, but I've been to press screenings where they're like, they know the movie is not good. And what do they do? They give you, oh, here's four free drink tickets. I think it's great. I remember the shiny. Oh, I love to see when the guy was talking. I remember with the Flash.
Starting point is 00:10:06 When I went to the Flash, there was a press screening, but they let fans in. So you had all these people dressed like the Flash and Superman go, whew! Every time something happens, and I'm like, what's that funny? Yeah, it's like, if you're in a comedy club at a corporate event, nobody's drinking, the atmosphere is completely different. If you're at a comedy club at, you know, 11 o'clock on a seat. Saturday night, packed room, different experience in general.
Starting point is 00:10:33 It doesn't necessarily mean the content is any different, but you know, you never know. Coy, what do you make of this so far? But is it a, if you're D.C., you're still pretty happy that you're getting this kind of hype, right? So it's June 20th. I personally, like I empathize with the folks that have only seen 30 minutes, but I'm glad we're not doing the whole movie yet in a wide way. Like the movie's three weeks away. I don't think that's sustainable for spoilers or for certain things. This marketing has done a great job at being evolutionary, right?
Starting point is 00:11:05 Like the first trailer to the second trailer to the third trailer, all were different enough, but none of them revealed too much. And I, as someone who hasn't still seen the movie and who doesn't know the story, doesn't want to know it until I see the movie. So I like this 30-minute thing. Obviously, some people wouldn't want to just see the beginning of the movie, but then those people can opt out of the tickets. So like I think it's a good way to build hope and excitement and like actual conversation.
Starting point is 00:11:30 I don't disagree with anything you're saying. But I would rather have stuff like this where it's traveling the world with the cast where it's showing some and having the hype build than doing a trailer three weeks out that's like here's the third act. So I'm hoping we lean more this direction going forward. I do think there is, you know, legitimacy to hype whether or not it's like I need the asterisk. I need to acknowledge the asterix. But I do like hearing the average person getting excited. Of course. That's only going to help movies.
Starting point is 00:12:00 And I'm very excited that they're not showing so much through easily. The other thing is it extends your reach. It extends your reach past the normal people of just like, you know, hey, I follow these online critics or I follow these influencers. This is a fan who happened to get his, her, is the thing picked up. And it hits the airwades and people are checking it out and going, oh, what's this? And then it spreads. And it's, it's good to have fans hyped up about it.
Starting point is 00:12:25 No doubt. It's just like, but does, is that an indication that the movie's incredible? No, it's not. There's also the matter of like anytime a critic or someone that talks about movies online says anything, if it's strongly negative, then everyone's going to say, oh, that you're not a fan. And if it's strongly positive, oh, you got paid. So like, that's why Rotten Tomatoes added the audience score. And now that's people like spamming it. So there is no way to know, except for either finding individual.
Starting point is 00:12:52 like-minded hosts that you identify with, like as their personality, as their taste, or see the movie. Right. Or see the movie. If you want to see movie, check out, you think for yourself. So, you know, they talked about box office in this report. And there's like, and I said it was a pretty big jump. They said anywhere from 95 to 135, whatever. It's like, that's like, well, it could make $10. It could make $100 million. It's like, it is a, that's a pretty big jump. But there's a massive jump. There's a massive jump. There's another report here that says Superman box office tracking reveals the movie could open with as little as 90 million, which I think is a misleading headline considering that, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:29 we've also got a potential that could make 135. So it's like, what is it? They said, we finally have a box office tracking number for Superman. And while the outlook is mostly positive, there's indications that the DCU reboot could open with as little as 90 million in North America next month. We've seen a lot of estimates, while guest estimates for Superman's opening weekend in recent week, someone went as high as 185. And a few punants didn't shy away from throwing out the $200 million figure.
Starting point is 00:13:55 First DC Studios movie has finally hit tracking boards today with deadline reporting that it has a $125 million to $145 million outlook. However, the trade has spoken to various distribution sources who believe the real range is $90 million to 125. That's a massive, massive number. It's huge. It's like $30 million. The report looks at whether Superman is considered a first choice title with movies. moviegoers, concluding that it's currently beneath Thor, Love, and Thunder, the Batman and Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 3.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Not a bad place to be, but here's where things get a little worrying. As the trade puts it, first choice for Captain America, Brave New World is higher than Superman by 71% at the same point in time. That movie opened at 88 million. In addition, Superman's first choice is 64% of, behind that of Matt Reeves the Batman. Superman did well in terms of pre-sale tickets topping the Fantastic Four First Steps, but it's typically the hardcore fans who buy those tickets as far in advance. The DC brand is tarnished thanks to the DCEU,
Starting point is 00:14:59 and sources tell deadline that when it comes to Superman's opening weekend, it boils down to reviews. At first glance, these numbers are a little concerning, assuming Superman can top 100 million DC studios will likely be pleased, but it's how well the movie performs in the weeks that follow, which will count. The odds are stacked against the man of steel as he finds himself sandwich between Jurassic World and the Fantastic Four First Steps. Holly Reporter is running with 135 million debut for Superman, but has similarly heard that 90 million to 125 is a strong possibility. Recently, James Gunn denied claims that DCU's future hinges on Superman's success.
Starting point is 00:15:38 That's not the truth for me. My truth is that this is the first movie out of DC Studios. Other people may say it's going to be a home run, nothing else. I'm like, no, I'd be very happy with a double. Fing Iron Man wasn't the be-all, end-all, it wasn't Avatar. We are doing something that's a piece of the puzzle. It's not the puzzle itself. It's just this one movie.
Starting point is 00:15:55 It's not everything. I'm responsible for my piece of the pie. I've got to make my budget back. I'll be happy with that. Corey, you're going to have to be left out of some of this conversation. James Gunn, I'm a big fan. I'm a big fan creatively. I'm a big fan of what he is trying to do the task that he,
Starting point is 00:16:17 he has to accomplish here. My man is a master of spin. He is, he's a master of spin. He is very, very good at Sandling. We'll get to another story a little bit. Like, oh, no, no, I was never going to use that shot in the first place. Come on, man. It was like, come on, man.
Starting point is 00:16:34 So you can, come on. You can hide. Go ahead. Go ahead. It's fine. Come on, man. And then like, so this is one of those things. I don't disagree with him.
Starting point is 00:16:47 We've said this. He'd be happy. Well, he needs to make his money back. He's going to be okay if he makes his money back. He's not going to be happy if he just makes his money back. He wants it to be a hit. Who wouldn't want it to be a hit? He wants it to be a hit.
Starting point is 00:17:03 He wants to be able to go forward. It's the studio. It's Zoe Kravitz. No, I'm just happy to be nominated. No, it's not that big of a deal. Like, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then as soon as the vehicle goes, yeah, I want this damn award.
Starting point is 00:17:19 You know how hard I want for this? Like, it's the same thought process. But what comes with it, though, is he is the head of the studio. He has to. What he's doing is the right call. And look, and I tell Roker this and I'll tell him on Monday. I think Roker's really tough on him. I think Roker is really tough on him.
Starting point is 00:17:38 I think Rook, you know, the fact that I think there's a lot of people who are too tough on him. I think the fact that he, what he's trying to do and he's saying, look, look, I'm, look, I just, want to make a good movie and want people enjoy it. If it makes the money back, that's good for me. Clearly, he's not going to say, hey, we'll lose money as people like it. You want to make your budget back. He wants to make money. He wants the movie to be successful because he wants to continue on, and he wants to be looked as a success. That's the truth. That's what it is. As far as the budget goes, I'm not taking any of these budgets, not budget, the projections for the box office,
Starting point is 00:18:08 not taking any serious because I got one word for you, Minecraft. The thing was projected at whatever the hell it was and it like doubled or went shot way past it people are excited for this superman film they're excited for it it's gonna it there's no i would put a bet there's no world where this movie makes 85 to 90 opening weekend it'll make pass a guy i i can speak to the tracking being um so broad that normally tracking is within relativity we've actually talked about how tracking is done i've never seen a range like this ever i've never seen between 90 135 is literally like half of the original estimate added to it. Like that's a rate like half of 90s 45. The add 45 it's between 100 and 150% of our goals. What um so I would say tracking wise this movie
Starting point is 00:19:00 has more buzz than I've seen in years around something in this type of film. I don't know how much of that is my algorithm because I'm obviously saying Superman a lot. I'm surging Superman a lot. I'm working Superman a lot but it feels so different. It is two weeks later that we get to, Fantastic Four. I have been very aware of Fantastic Four comics. I have tons of Fantastic Four comics. I have almost as many Marvel searches as DC because my job is DC it, it edges it out slightly. But I looked at my actual searches. I'm getting maybe a fourth as much Fantastic Four. And so I get they're probably going to surge after Superman. But the fact that everyone's talking about Superman, there is no way it does 90 million opening with the hype. No. And Winston, to follow that up
Starting point is 00:19:42 after that is that what I do agree with that article that we read is that and we've said this a million times over it's all about week two like because even though even though week three they got fantastic four and they're going to take a hit obviously it's week two like week two is that movie's awesome I got to see it again or yeah the other DC movie that just doesn't hit it and that's where they fall into problems week one that people want to see this movie and and again the ones who really want to see it I'm going to see it the ones who really want to see it, I'm going to tell their friends how awesome it is if they love it in week two, and then it's going to spread because I am seeing a lot of people that don't know a lot
Starting point is 00:20:20 about, you know, the movie news and everything. They're very aware of this movie. This movie, people are aware of. And, and, you know, people are hyped for it and want to see it and check it out and they're interested. And I think that it's a time that you could use a character like Superman in the tone that they're expressing. So it really could hit. You look at like what Star Wars did in 77 during that time. It was a dark period of movie. movies in the movies that we're hitting were Chinatown and things of that nature. And Star Wars was in, yeah, let's have some, let's, let's, it's fantasy and hope and everything. And maybe that's what we need right now.
Starting point is 00:20:54 And maybe, you know, and new stars and new people, it is so important to have someone like a David corn sweat where you go, who's that. I don't know who that is. Oh, that's Superman. That's what you need as opposed to who, who's that? I don't know. Oh, that's Leonardo Caprio. That's Brad Pitt.
Starting point is 00:21:10 That's so and so. like that's tom cruise this is this is his chance to cut his teeth so wins that all that stuff what do you make of the opening weekend what do you make of this in general what say you i think that you this movie i truly believe will i know we had joked about Jurassic world taking not joked been serious about Jurassic world taking it i think as we are seeing a lot of stuff happen in the world right now. If this movie truly delivers, if it truly delivers on the story, on the acting, on the vision that gun has been kind of pitching to us this whole time, I think you're going
Starting point is 00:21:55 to potentially see Top Gun Maverick numbers because we need this. And so I think just all that being said, people want to go see Top Gun Maverick again because over and over and over again because it was a good movie. The acting was phenomenal. It brought back nostalgia, which Superman would do. And we really hadn't hit that stride yet in theaters. We were still kind of coming out of the pandemic, and some movies were doing like, okay.
Starting point is 00:22:28 And then that was the beginning of it. And then obviously we got Spider-Man later and Avatar and Barbie and all that. But it got people excited to go to the movies and do escape for a while and still have a great story that said something to you. And so if Superman, which is supposed to be the beacon of hope, is here, and we're seeing all this turmoil of superheroes being bought out by corporations, so the idea of the corporation is doing stuff and the world feeling like it's at war, and then somebody can come in and deliver hope to the people,
Starting point is 00:23:00 that is the type of movie that you would want to see it again. You'd want to take your mom. You'd want to take your kids. That's going to encourage you to go multiple times. and that is how you end up with a billion-dollar movie, not because every person in America or around the world goes to see it, but that certain individual will see it multiple times and they bring people to come see it the first time.
Starting point is 00:23:19 I'm still sticking with, I don't think it's going to make a billion. I still think Jurassic World internationally will play bigger, but I think it's going to hit pretty heavy domestically. I still don't think it's going to be Jurassic overall, especially now, I mean, apparently, did you see Jurassic? Yep, I don't know if I can talk about it. You can't talk about it.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Well, you can do it. embargo is social embargoes what are your initial thoughts social embargo initial thoughts the bar is low on the statement but it is the best Jurassic world okay so and like not not Jurassic franchise no just check but like I loved the experience going in with world level expectations not park level expectations I see it on Tuesday so I'm excited to check that up because I'm seeing a lot of people now that were initially after the premiere St. we were talking about before. Oh, it's great. And so then I start seeing people who are going to the screenings and starting to see stuff and it's trickling out that it's pretty much the same thing,
Starting point is 00:24:14 like it's enjoyable. That adds to the fact that I think it's going to beef up some business. And it might beef up business in week two, which is not good news for Superman. If it is pretty good, and if it is the best Jurassic World, people do want to go check it out and don't want to see a comic book movie, but like Jurassic Park, that could hit Superman right in the tights. So I think that Jurassic World will still be the winner out of all three worldwide. Domestically, I still think it'll be Superman.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Of course, you had other thoughts you wanted to make here? Yeah, I do think it's interesting. We've never had quite this big of a July. So when you look at tracking, there's usually kind of comparables, but I do think Jurassic and then Cap, sorry, and then Superman, and then Fantastic are
Starting point is 00:25:01 kind of the craziest trifecta we've had this close, like a nine-day window in a two-week window with Smurfs kind of thrown in there for a family thing. I think this could be the biggest month since the pandemic at least, but I also think we've never really had comparables of what it's like to have a nine-day gap and then a two-week gap as far as repeat viewings. I do agree with Winston. I think Superman, if it's as good as it feels and looks and scenes,
Starting point is 00:25:23 people will want to live in that hope again. People want to like live in that space. And I know personally, I really want to see all three one day. I want to spend a day going super Jurassic fantastic. because I can't think of a better more it's like the most child affirming day like what joy to have like seven hours
Starting point is 00:25:41 you say that point now I'm like do I even have a day on the calendar where I can do that I took off August 12th my next day off is August 12th and I'm going to do it like that's my day You're going to see all three in the theater on August 12th that's my next day off and I want to I want to go super drastic fantastic
Starting point is 00:25:59 They'll still be in the theater at that point And it won't be so crowded I can't like that's true unless unless they all are bombing, you know, then they, that, the chances of that happening. It's six weeks after Jurassic. That should still be. You'd have to really be like making no money in order for it to get pulled that fast. And I'm in LA. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, it'll be. Right. It'll be, it's interesting. It's really interesting. So I ask you guys about this. What do you think? Overall, you think this is, you know, Superman's going to do 120, 1.30.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Is it going to make that 90? Will audiences respond? to Superman. Anything that we talked about when it comes to James Gunn and his thoughts about, you know, making the money back, that's good enough. Buy it. Don't buy it. Put your thoughts in there, let us know. And speaking of which, James Gunn, he says that the infamous Superman flying scene
Starting point is 00:26:53 won't be in the movie. He said, I didn't love the shot. So Superman director, James Gunn, has revealed that the shot of the man is still taking flight when viral because of how goofy it looked and it won't appear in the movie. Back in January, DC released a new TV spot for James Guns Superman, and while fans were delighted to get a first proper look at Superman taking flight, one quick glimpse to the man of steel came in quite a bit ridicule online. The shot in question was a close-up of Superman's face as he comes out of a barrel roll to avoid some rocks. Some fans made fun of the goofy look on the character's
Starting point is 00:27:23 face, while others felt the VFX made him appear unnaturally still when his hair and cape could be seen billowing in the wind. Whatever the issue may or may not have been, a lot of people seem to be an agreement that something simply looked off. Gun was asked about the teaser on threads and responded with the following. There's absolutely zero CG in his face. People's faces can look different when you put a wide angle lens up close. The background played this is 100% real as David. Despite his initial defense of the shot, Gunn has now acknowledged that it did look a bit funky and won't actually feature in the finished film. It was a TV commercial and it wasn't a finished visual effect shot. So part of him flying, it was a photograph of his face and him flying. It was a
Starting point is 00:28:03 photograph of drone flying in front of the actual background, so all the places were real, but it was incorporated in kind of a funky way. I didn't love the shot. So it's not even the shot that's in a movie. Sometimes I'm pretty strict about when I'm going through a trailer and looking at each of the shots, but sometimes the commercials, I forget to look at this closely, so that one kind of got by me. Filmmaker's decision to remove the shot has come in for a bit of backlash, and some feel that he shouldn't pander to those kicked up a fuss about the sequence in the first place. At the end of the day, it's Guns movie. And if you had another look at the promo and agreed that it didn't look great, then why would he change it. Gunn also confirmed that there are other characters who will appear in Superman who have not
Starting point is 00:28:38 been announced yet. Interesting. Supergirl is unlikely to be one of them since the trades have already mentioned that she'll appear. But if you've been keeping up with the casting rumors, you'll probably have a pretty good idea, at least one of the characters that Gunn is referring to. Superman also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Lois Lane. Uh, I don't know. You know any of that? That's all I mean. Okay. Um, again, I don't want quite a speculate because then he seems to They're going to say, oh, Koi, Corey, give us a spoiler. He knows, he knows.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Who do you think they're talking about Winston as far as? As far as who's going to appear? Not Batman. No, I could see Kyle Chandler, though. I could see your green lantern could appear. Highly doubt Lobo. Highly doubt Clayface. That's probably my biggest guess.
Starting point is 00:29:29 I think you're right about both him and John Stewart. I think both of them. I don't even know John Stewart because because if the idea that John Stewart is supposed to be the newest Green Lantern being trained by Howe in that show, I have a higher guess of Kyle and having Hal show up either to reprimand guy or whatever. Then John, if he is supposed to be the rookie cop, you know what I mean? That's my only thought process. Unless a Green Lantern that's not guy dies. and so we see Aaron Pierre because the ring goes to him or something like that. That's just too much.
Starting point is 00:30:06 But I do think that and Peacemaker is another one that's possible, right, because you want to promote the show. So absolutely possible. But let me ask you this if you can. And you can choose not to answer if you don't want to. But when it comes to the stuff with the shots, you know, because he did, the thing that gets me is that they address this in the article. he responded to it up top.
Starting point is 00:30:32 He's like, no, listen, he defended the shop. And then after the backlash and everything, too, then he's like, I didn't like that shot. My personal opinion is, even if you're going to take it out, which, again, people are, oh, you shouldn't take it out. If he wants to take it out, he can take it out. He's allowed to. He's like, oh, I thought that was a good shot.
Starting point is 00:30:49 People didn't like it. I'm going to take it out. I don't want to do that movie. That's his prerogative. However, don't tell anybody. Just don't do it. Just don't put it in. And then when you go, how many times have you seen something in a trailer and you're
Starting point is 00:31:00 like, oh, that shot wasn't in the movie. It's pretty common, especially if it's not like a major shot. I, I, spoiler alert, think he'll fly a lot. But the shot itself, like, I remember when it came out, it is so clearly a wide lens that distorts a face. Like, if you watch Severance, they use it as an effect. Like, severance manipulates that wide lens into a narrower lens. So I'm glad that, you know, the addressing of it's all practical.
Starting point is 00:31:25 It's not CGI was like addressed. But I personally would have just like let people go see the movie and complain to complain whatever they wanted to do anyway. But I also understand like marketing is going to grab stuff separately of you. You know, he's overseeing a whole universe while writing and directing its flagship movie and its next show and having just come off creature and building. Like, he's got a lot going on. So I could easily see there being truth and I don't like the shot. But if he didn't like the shot, I would have just taken it out without comment. So I'm, I'm agreeing with you while also saying like, I buy the plausible deniability and I see a
Starting point is 00:32:00 how it happened, but like, if you don't like it, don't use it. And I think people being upset about a director not wanting to use a strategy like is a bit like. I think it's fair to say Winston also what, what, of course, saying here, that's just like, look, you, this guy is already, he's overwhelmed. There's a lot of stuff going on. And he's like, okay, look, hey, this is the trailer. Okay, trailer looks good. I'm flying. The barrel thing I did. Okay, yeah, great. Run with it. Go, go, go with the TV spot. Go. You see, I can see that as believable. But, like, for me, it's the defense of it, then going, and then you see people who, I don't, I don't, I don't there's anything wrong with that too. That's why if he sees it and the audience doesn't respond to it,
Starting point is 00:32:34 what's the difference than that of the test screening? You look at the test screening and everyone in the test screening is saying, I don't like this. And you go, okay, let's not put that in there. I don't think that's unfair. It's not pandering. It's going, they don't like this. So I'm taking it out. That's literally why I kept saying the idea of trying to judge the movie based off of test screenings is stupid. The point of a test screening is to figure out what works and what does it work of the general thing that you're doing. So that like, in the, the same way that if you were making a dish, you would bring it to your head chef. They go, nah, that's missing some salt.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Put some salt in that. That's literally all it is. You were bringing this out. Sorry, I didn't like this. It feels like it needs some season. You write, sorry about that, sir, bring it back, throws some solid in it. Yeah. What it is, I'll be honest with you, people just like to complain.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Of course. That's what that is. It's that people always want to pretend like they got one up on somebody. So they'd be like, oh, oh, see, see, oh, he's supposed to be like a, oh, oh, No, it's silly. Look, I do not envy the position that James Gunn has had. I do not envy it at all. I mean, not only is he directing this movie that is launching the DCU and writing it.
Starting point is 00:33:42 He's running the whole thing. You know, so it's like the guy, you know, if he didn't have gray hair already, he would have had it today. So I don't, I really, I really do feel for him in situations like this. And I don't go, oh, oh, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's. He's lying. What's going on? The guy's got a lot on this plate. Leave him alone. You know, leave him alone. But either way, we'll see what happens in the long run. What say you about this shot? Should he have changed it? Should you have not to change it? Who cares? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. I'll tell you what you should care about.

We, you guys, Roxy and you guys, got. are tied as far as how many weeks in a row you've won you guys are three roxy had one three previously now you're up against John Rooka again at
Starting point is 00:38:12 197 whoa what the hell were you talking about on Monday just kidding one 13 one three okay okay that's about the big difference in the box office that's literally what that feels like yeah yes exactly what that feels be 113, could be 197. No, it's 113. And so that is what you guys are up against right now and doing pretty 47 already in the chance. Not bad. Before we even get in there, we're only, we haven't gotten to all the stories yet. And we have more stories. We have more DC stories. The Lantern's pilot director, James Hawes, says the series starts off grounded and then goes Cosmic. M.F. That's what he said.
Starting point is 00:38:56 He didn't, but he should have. So, Lantern's pilot director is talking about the series. This is from Mark Julian. Earlier reports about lanterns being grounded may have been misconstrued by fans. Recently, James Gunn tried to clarify those comments, and now James Hawes, who directed the lanterns pilot, is doing the same. Hawes recently spoke to Faye's hero about the release of the amateur, but also touched on his work on the DCU's upcoming Green Lantern drama.
Starting point is 00:39:26 The scripts have so much with so much character. It's a buddy cop movie played out in a true detective Fargo, no country for old men naturalistic way. And then somebody flies, exclaimed the British television director. That's exactly what I wanted him to say, to be honest with you. Exactly what I wanted him to say. Addressing previous reports and comments with the series being grounded and the assumption that everything is set on earth,
Starting point is 00:39:49 pause stated, I'm going to talk very bleakly about this because there are excitements to come. It won't disappoint the classic fans. I think it will invite a whole new audience as well because we get to meet the characters in quite a rooted way before it takes you intergalactic. The Lanterns talking, okay, great, great. Filming on Landers reportedly wraps next month. This is great. I love this. I love this because to me it's like, okay, it's going to be grounded.
Starting point is 00:40:19 And everybody's like, well, you're not going to have anything in space. Then he's going to take it easy. Take it easy. Basically, what we're going to do is we're going to introduce you to the characters. You're going to like the character. there's a lot and then it's going to get cosmic it's like it doesn't have to stay grounded it it starts grounded the moves if you're asking me and i didn't hear any interviews and you say coy what do you want from this lantern show that they say is going to be like true true detective i would
Starting point is 00:40:40 say well i hope it starts like that i hope it starts ground and then i hope it goes into space like and that's what it seems like he is confirming i mean erin pierre's uh you know character he starts in space uh i was so like i was ready for you to break it to the full song. You have Kyle Chandler's, you know, Hal Jordan, he's earthly. He starts on Earth and then goes to space. Like, that is how the characters, I think, need to start
Starting point is 00:41:05 because we haven't had that canonically good Green Lantern to bounce off of in populture. We need a true basis. And if you're going to believe something as big and grandiose as cosmic, you know, space cops, I think grounded is a good place to start, but it is reassuring that now they're adjusting, like their actual narrative because this comes out, you know next year sometime it's almost done filming very early it's june guys that's incredible so now
Starting point is 00:41:32 you can start your actual conversations around it to build hype so i think they're handling marketing better than most studios uh and i also think they're doing a really good job making the thing what it needs to be but also growing the narrative around the advertising what you think listen yeah i i think if you're we we've all kind of agreed that this was the best way to do it is to a slow burn. Like I think it's going to be different as a movie than a show. I was going to use it as an example, everything everywhere at all at once. You took the time to establish the world, kind of set the rules, get you involved,
Starting point is 00:42:12 and then multiversal shenanigans. In this case, get used to the world, get used to the people. As you mentioned, go to space now, and now we get to see how grandiose this entire thing is. I think that that is also within the realm of, of what HBO does, knowing that that's where we're putting this. It kind of reminds me of Watchman and how Watchman was kind of the same way. We just kind of started with it a little bit. And then by the time you got, you know, to the end, we were like, oh, that's what's been going on this whole time.
Starting point is 00:42:44 That's what's been happening behind the scenes. I think that that's more of what we're going to get. And to me, that's just really good storytelling. So I'm excited about it for sure. but I feel like he didn't necessarily say anything that I would be like that is so new good for you I'm more of it like thank you thank you for doing the correct thing right that's exactly right and I and I love and I just it's funny because I've just started watching the amateur we're about 45 minutes did you see it yet I heard it's great I it's on my list now it's really good um so far I got I'm gonna hopefully finish it tonight that's the whole point but um yeah I'm trying I'm gonna try to catch up in his many movie I want to see that and then is the what's the Wes Anderson one that everyone is Oh, Brian and Phoenician. Yeah. Is that on digital yet?
Starting point is 00:43:30 It just came to theater, so probably. Yeah, that's what I figured. Well, I mean, Thunderbolts is coming out on digital. July 1. I won. Wow. All right. $50 million loss.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I know. That's a big one. All right. Guys, Green Laner, what do you think? Is this the way you should approach it? Yes? No. Put your thoughts in there.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Let us know. Do it on the live stream. Do it on the replay. And do it on the Clips channel, man. 10,500 on that clips channel. We're building. We're growing every single day. If you want, people go, oh, wait the timestamps.
Starting point is 00:44:03 You don't need times stamps. You need the clips channel. That's where you can find the segments. So let's get, speaking of Marvel. I just brought up Marvel beforehand. Let's do this. There was a whole bunch of things yesterday we talked about, and we'll kind of touch on that same article here.
Starting point is 00:44:19 Yesterday, guys, they mentioned that there's an article that said that Marvel was going to have four movies in 2028 that are coming out, right? One of those rumored movies is a fantastic for a sequel, right? Or at least we know that that's potentially that's where it could land. So following the reports of Fantastic Four First Steps could be getting a sequel as soon as 2028, Reed Richards actor Pedro Pascall has added further fuel to the fire with his social media activity. Josh Wilding reporting Marvel Studios dated a fourth movie for 2028 earlier this week. While the expectation is that at least one of those slots will go to another Disney-owned property, the trades have suggested we're getting a sequel to the Fantastic for our first steps three years from now,
Starting point is 00:45:03 provided the upcoming reboot is a success. It would make sense. Marvel's first family will have a lead role in Avengers' Joomsday and Avengers Secret Wars and launching the next era of the MCU storytelling with an adventure set on the new sacred timeline feels like the right step. Today, Mr. Fantastic himself, Pedro Piscall, has added further fuel to the fire by liking an Instagram post discussing these supposed sequel plans. This may mean a lot or very little. Very little. But we have to believe that he has a vague idea of what Marvel Studios needs for him in the years ahead.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Galactus, Dr. Doom, likely be up the table and a potential follow-up. However, this team has a long list of villains who have yet to grace our screens. Mention a whole bunch of them. And Koi wants to know who they are. Great. Okay. So last year, Pascal was asked why he decided to join the MCU and this movie. In particular, he said, what do you think, stupid, money?
Starting point is 00:45:59 Nope, what he really said was mainly because of the cast that I would be part of, Matt Shackman, the director, has been a lifelong friend of mine, and because of the influence of the world of Marvel, it's authored so much of popular entertainment. And to be invited into that experience is something that I couldn't say no to. I love the comic, and I love being in that family. Ultimately, the Fantastic Four First Steps gets a sequel will boil down to, box office takings next month, Marvel Studios hasn't been on a hot streak in 2025,
Starting point is 00:46:25 so it needs to be a critical and commercial hit if the team's ventures are going to continue. Well, I agree with that 100%. I think we all agree with that 100%. You can announce or not announce, but you can start making plans for a sequel, but if people don't want to see the movie, they ain't making a sequel. I mean, that's happening before there's been many times. I mean, I'm watching She Hulk right now with Sam. Thank God we're almost done with it.
Starting point is 00:46:48 How is she liking it? She does not like it all. It's her least favorite thing out of anything she's watched. She hates her. So she didn't mind a few of the episodes, and she loves Deer Devil, but she hates the overall series.
Starting point is 00:46:59 And, you know, it's one of those things where they clearly were, even saying in the finale, oh, in season two, like, you ain't getting to season two. And it's like, you better be careful. And there's a lot of different things that I've tried to do that,
Starting point is 00:47:11 not just in Marvel. And if the support isn't there, you ain't getting a sequel. I do believe this movie will get a sequel. I do believe this movie will do, do decent and pretty well actually. So the question of, you know, that 2028, I think Corey, we should start there, right? You heard yesterday the four movies in Marvel that are coming out, that they're going to do this.
Starting point is 00:47:36 And then there's obviously the quantity over quality thing, but then there's that, as they mentioned in this article, who knows that they're really going to put four movies out there? They're going to hold the spot for one of their Fox movies or something else. What do you make all that? And what do you make about the potential of a Fantastic Force sequel before we even get the first? I think Fantastic First sequel is possible to even likely. But what I think that date is is X-Men. I think X-Men December 15th makes a lot of sense.
Starting point is 00:48:02 I think they just announced, or in talks, Jake Shrier of Thunderbolts. I don't know how confirmed it is. But it seems like that's heating up in post-secretor Wars. I think they're going to want to have another strong team like Avengers and that's X-Men. So I would say a likelihood even maybe more than Fantastic 4 is X-Men on that date. But, you know, I think it's not going to depend on how FF does. The Dark Universe never started, and they mapped out like five of those movies. So I think we got to see how this one does because they need to be home runs at this point after the Thunderbolt's loss.
Starting point is 00:48:37 And even though we talked about franchise math and those things, Marvel does need to have very strong wins, at least a couple. So I think X-Men is more likely, but we'll see. Yeah, the focus is definitely going to be on X-Men, but if we're all wrong, and this is the billion-dollar Marvel film that nobody expect, because we were all guessing, what, around 7, 750 or something like that? Close to it. So in that range. In that range. Someone in that range. This busts out a billion dollars, then they will fast track a sequel.
Starting point is 00:49:10 Yeah, and they'll be cooking with gas, man, because then you have, you know, the Avengers movies coming out, Spider-Man, you'll be in good shape. And to that point, the argument would almost be that, you know, Spider-Man, Fantastic 4, and X-Men really are more so. The Avengers have obviously made a name for themselves now because of what the MCU has done. We've discussed how really, honestly, Captain America and Iron Man and Thor were really kind of B-listers until, again, the MCU put them in a whole different stratosphere. if you get all of your what are considered kind of your A-listers in that regard, all firing on all cylinders, like are the O.G. A-listers now? Oh, bro. You thought that they were going to keep it at some two, three movies?
Starting point is 00:50:00 I'm afraid they will launch themselves back to four on the regular if Fantastic Four and Spider-Man and X-Men are hitting like that. Yeah. I mean, and I think X-Men is Fantastic Four. that's that's the future of it i mean that is the future of this for sure they need to build that out get these characters locked in and you people got to really respond to it i'm so curious july is going to be july 31st is going to be very interesting conversation we're going to have a new shape of the next five years at the end of nether
Starting point is 00:50:33 in general of what like who of what it's either going to be one of these things of like okay people still care about Jurassic world no one cares about it anymore it finally lost its magic Superman, DC is back. Uh-oh, DC's in trouble. Fantastic 4 is going to save Marvel. Man, are they in the shitter? You know, it's like, there's so many different conversations that we can have. It's also like Universal Disney and Warner Brothers, like on the macro scale,
Starting point is 00:51:00 three of the biggest studios in the world with their big, like, put it all on red. Yeah, this is an all-in for all of them. It's crazy. So look, man, put your thoughts in there. Fantastic 4, are we getting a sequel? Should we get a sequel? Should they just wait and see? Put your thoughts in there.
Starting point is 00:51:17 Let us know. Clips channel. That's it. Just Clips channel. That's what I just scream out. Clips channel. All right. We are going to get to questions.
Starting point is 00:51:26 And we are also going to also talk to the guys real quick about what's going on in the channel. Your channel, Winston. What do you got? So excited today is when I'm dropping my Sam's Avengers team thing. So come on over. YouTube.com slash a swaggy blurred. And check it out, man. I had fun. I had fun doing it.
Starting point is 00:51:45 I, y'all know that I love to get real particular with my editing. So I was taking my time. But it would be a good time. And, you know, if this hits, I'll be doing a lot more of these. Cool. Summer's here. I just dropped a ton of stuff. I got an F1 review up.
Starting point is 00:51:58 I got a 28 years later review up next week. Hopefully, I don't know when the embargo drops. I'll have a Jurassic World review up. I've shot it. I'm waiting to post it. Lots of stuff around my page. Finally got out of my stagnance almost at like 47 plus K on the road to 50. Also today,
Starting point is 00:52:12 a new DC studio showcase, sitting down with James Gunn at the desk, like I'm in the chair. I know you're on the desk. I like it. It felt nice. So check that one out especially, please, please check that interview out. I'm really proud of it. And also, Real Reject's new podcast dropped today and lots
Starting point is 00:52:28 and lots of other stuff to come, including a DC high volume on Wednesday. Lots of stuff. Lots of stuff going on. Indeed, ladies and gentlemen. So let's get to these questions. Now, we are going to start with Derek Johnson, gifting five more memberships. And I said, guys, I think, like Derek Johnson, I think is determined to make sure every person in this chat is a member.
Starting point is 00:52:51 Derek Johnson's a real one, man. Mark Long, please watch Daredevil with Sam. It's one of the best shows that exist. Thanks for the shows. Well, first of all, it's not a matter of not wanting to watch. Especially, that's the one thing about She-Hulk that she loves, she loves Daredevil. She wants to watch the series.
Starting point is 00:53:06 She tells me as much as she wants to watch the series. the problem is that that I'm trying to get first of all we're trying to catch up with the MCU and in general we are right now we just finished we just finished black panther riconda forever I'm surprising her today and we're going to watch because we just watch that we're actually going to watch ironheart we're going to watch the first three episodes iron heart today so you did so you did get the the screeners yeah so we're going to watch iron heart um the first three today and then we will release them so that's the first show where there'll be the one that's out of sync, you know, as far as timeline,
Starting point is 00:53:42 but I want it, it'll be the first thing we both watched together. So that's why I want to do that. And then, um, we're going to do the movies and what probably people keep asking me for Agatha for her, right? And like I said, I already did it with Sadie. People are like, we don't care. We want to see Sam react to it. So I guess I'm, I'm going to do it with her.
Starting point is 00:54:02 The, we'll have Agatha come out. However, however, if people don't want to. watch it. The first, I'm going to put the first two episodes. If they don't watch it, I ain't doing one past episode one. So if it does, if it, if it does that down arrow, uh, we're not doing squid games here. Um, anyway, so she's, so we'll see. We'll see as far as Daredevil goes to answer your question. Eventually, maybe end of the year. It doesn't, eventually, but not, but not anytime soon. Uh, Derek Johnson, gifted five more memberships. Thank you, Derek. Pierre, I love Pierre. What's up here? How you've been?
Starting point is 00:54:36 Christian hate the pile on, but you and say you never finished Agatha. You only got through episode six. Then one of your kids got sick. Well, yes, we did finish the show. We just, you didn't see us finish the show. We did. She, she liked the show and wanted to finish, but you're not wrong here. We did, we didn't finish it on, on screen.
Starting point is 00:54:57 So, damn you, Pierre shakes fist. The timing. Yeah, he's right. He's right. Clip, Champ, Razor. I just watched Koi's DCU showcase. Great work. Saw you ask about some DC characters.
Starting point is 00:55:13 If you ever get that chance again, please ask about the question. I squeezed in as many as I could tactfully. And I felt like if I was just like reading my favorites, it would have been obvious. So next time, he's on the next list. I want an hour one-on-one. It's too hard.
Starting point is 00:55:28 And again, here, you know what, I'll do this because that way Bitcoin trouble. It's too hard, speaking from experience, to have three people in a room asking questions because it bounces back and forth and everybody wants to make sure they get a question in and you want to be nice and make sure that one person one on one put coy in a room with James Gunn he didn't say this to me he's he's right now saying stop saying this i think you got to put coy one-on-one in a room with James Gunn that's my
Starting point is 00:55:56 thoughts all right a lot of headlines it would be just saying internet yep avie malick hey christian i went down a deep rabbit hole in the Wi-Files channel thanks to you oh it's I'm surprised you guys. I'm surprised Koi hasn't. You would love that channel. The fear of it is that like I already choose not to sleep to do seven jobs. If I added a fun thing, curtains. You should check out the WIFiles, man. I'm telling you just one like just you're a Matrix guy. Huge. That's the concern. I looked it up and I was like, oh no. Make me one problem. Watch one video of theirs. Just one.
Starting point is 00:56:30 I'll watch one and then you'll never see me again. I just watch one. The one I want you to watch is Wi-File simulation theory. Okay. I'm going to follow up next week. You mean the one that's from three years ago called it's all a simulation? Is it Wi-File simulation theory? It says we live in a simulation.
Starting point is 00:56:49 The full titles, we live in a simulation, the evidence is everywhere. All you have to do is look. How many views is it out? 16 million. Yes. Watch that one. I have literally had quantum theorists on my podcast and talked this because I'm obsessed with it. I'm afraid.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Watch it. I'm terrified. Watch it. Avie Malick, Brainiac for Superman 2 or bigger villain for Justice League. Brainiac's possible. I like Brainiac because of the timing. I think that as the studios themselves are doing AI more, we need to have a big studio film, use a character like Brainiac.
Starting point is 00:57:21 I think that could be a character like we had like 2008 Iron Man Ironmonger and someone using machines of war for good. Brainiac, let's make a movie. On top of the fact that I would argue that Brainiac, remember, is a Superman villain. He is universal threat, but like he is a Superman villain. So let's, let Superman fight his villain. Yeah. Speaking of, I don't know if I told you guys this. So what I, I think I did. I know that we've been talking with Steph and the audience is aware of it. So I'm currently in the middle of writing a pilot that we're going to, we're going to do the same, very
Starting point is 00:57:59 similar to kind of what Chris Duckman did. We're going to do a crowd fund for it. And my goal is to get to LA to to shoot it um i have roles for both of you um and it's once i'm going to tell you you're the winston's i'll tell i'm gonna tell Winston off i'll tell them off here but i was a bit this morning that i wrote for Winston that i was very happy about um but we're going to we're just in a process of it right now and hopefully once that script is done we're going to get to a few different people we're going to go to directors and everything too so it's going to be it's going to be interesting but it It, if you haven't seen grasping at straws, my, Ken Napsock actually sent me because he's converting it for me. Have you guys seen any of grasping his straws?
Starting point is 00:58:39 Mm-mm. Almost 40. As a kid, an ex-wife, and he still managed to tap 21-year-old ass. He's Jim Belushi from about last night. No, I will not marry you. I can't do what you do, man. You're here. You can drink every night if you want.
Starting point is 00:58:52 You can take home a different snake. I can't do that. I'm working in an office and got to get married and I got to grow up. I tell you something. He says, he goes, he goes to the end, he goes, the kid turns around and goes, what's the skank? He goes, Daddy uses them to kill werewolves. This is a compliment. This is a high praise.
Starting point is 00:59:16 It reminds me of waiting. I love that movie. That, yeah, that's, that's, that's, that's from Grassman shows. That's one with Eliza and, um. Yeah, no, you show, you showed us that a couple months ago. That, that clip? A clip? No, I don't think.
Starting point is 00:59:31 I'm going to show us the clip of him walking up at the funeral a couple months ago. No, no, no. You showed us that one, too, about the skank. I remember that whole thing. No, I haven't had, I haven't had that. My only, months is incorrect. I forgot how long you've been gone, but when you were still in your garage, you showed me that. I promise you.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Really? Maybe it was, maybe it was on, it's online somewhere, but I didn't put it on the show because I haven't had it. You may have done it when we were not on air, but I remember being in the studio and you're showing me. All right, maybe so. We're going to have, but that's not. that that story is not necessarily really related to the one that we're doing but like we it's more of like a it's like californication meets the bear with a sprinkle of hacks oh i i don't that just watched
Starting point is 01:00:12 yeah um okay so avie malix said oh we did that one okay avie follows it up and says brainiac for superman two where we did that one too roerham ranger who says i work night so i'm going to be in bed for the for the show but i just want to show love for all you thank you You each bring a great orro to the show. Much love. That's very kind. Very kind. Avi Malik saying Coy and Winston for the win. Four in a row, can they do it?
Starting point is 01:00:39 We're halfway. You're at 60. 60, guys. We're over halfway. Let's get halfway. Almost there. You're almost there. Bram Ranger also, Christian, favorite Springsteen song. Oh, this is going to be fun for me. Coy and Winston favorite Kendrickson. You guys saw the trailer for the Springsteen movie, obviously. I did not.
Starting point is 01:00:57 I saw everybody was freaking out about it. I just don't care about spring seeing like that, so I didn't watch the trailer. So good. You like good stories, though, don't I? I do. I do. I just, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:01:06 I just, in the same way that when the Bob Dylan thing dropped originally with Timothy Chalamee, I didn't immediately go, let me go watch this trailer. I was like, okay, I'll see you when I see it. I want the poster to just, like Christian Harlov. Like, you like good stories. I don't get, 20s. Like good stories.
Starting point is 01:01:24 I like good stories. I don't, so I don't have one. I'm going to give you a bunch. This is for everybody who wants to know some of the songs. The obvious is born to run, right? It's an obvious one. The wrestler is a fantastic one. Hitchhiking is a more recent one. Hungry Heart, because the night, I'm on fire, going down, trapped. Ghost of Tom Jod is one of my favorites. Racing in the street, better days, my hometown, pink Cadillac, lonesome day. Those are some things that I would recommend if you don't know. Bruce, those are the ones. I love the Ghost of Tom Jod. I actually saw him do.
Starting point is 01:01:58 that with uh with tom orello at in in two thousand have you ever heard that song quick i love the rage cover i love both songs but i love that rage cover that tomorello like so tomorello and bruce i've seen bruce in concert twice and both times tomorella came out to play that song and it's just the the version that i have of that time there's actually the one that i was at which is awesome um okay next one oh are kendrick songs though uh oh okay yeah he asked you about springsteen and the two of us what our favorite song is um i swim in pools is up there uh money trees is up there um uh dodger blue uh tv off uh heart part six i really liked a lot of stuff king coonta i play all the time and probably mad city i love mad city i'm gonna go uh money
Starting point is 01:02:53 trees for like most consistent i'm gonna go mad city for like the gym i'm gonna go I love reincarnated. I reincarnated might be my favorite just because my connection to Tupac and that that I literally never thought I'd hear Tupac again and I felt like I did in a way with reincarnated so that means a lot to me. And man of the garden.
Starting point is 01:03:12 I was gonna say like Man at the Garden is like the morning wake up and then the gym is mad city. All right. Next one here is Matt Krugman. Mandalorian and Grogu voice narrating a trailer for the Wolf of Wall Street. Mandoloreen and Grogu voice narrating a trailer for the Wolf of Wall Street.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Yeah, thanks for an incredible month of laughs and news. You three are the best. Well, thank you, man. I don't necessarily know what you mean with Inlearing Groga voice narrating a trailer for the Wolf of Wall Street, but I appreciate it. Nope. I can't even imagine those are just two such different voices. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:03:49 I mean, Malik, Christian, watching the show daily feels like hanging out with friends talking about movies and TV. The entire crew is the best. I really am very happy and happy. proud of the crew that we have right now. I really am. Like every day we have like just a fun show. Luke and I were talking about the other day. It's like every show has just been such a great conversation like Monday is like I love my conversations with Roka Tuesday whether you have, I mean, Roxy's on every Tuesday and we have some great back and forth, but Michael pop into that one too.
Starting point is 01:04:15 He was on on Tuesday. It was hilarious with some really funny moments happening. Like I showed you the mic in the tank top. Instead of his mic in a tank. Wednesday now we have Chris Carr on the show, which is incredible. Thursday is Steph. And then Friday, obviously, is the gentleman here. The gentleman here. So I love the group. I'm glad that you guys are enjoying it, too. A random movie recommendation. Noises off, 1992.
Starting point is 01:04:39 Underrated, you know, I feel like I've seen that. Which one is that poem? I know the play noises off. I don't think I've seen the movie. I think that's probably why. I think it's based off that play. But I don't know who's in that one, comedy drama. The movie.
Starting point is 01:04:52 Oh, is John Ritter. Right, right, right, right. He's in the- Oh, Ritter did it? Yeah, he was in the play also. And Michael Kane. Oh, dude, that sounds fantastic. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:03 I, I. Anyway, okay. So let's get to the next one, which is GoPal. Probably can't stick around, but support. Thank you, sir. GoPel also said five memberships. Wow. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:05:19 We got a lot of members, man. Avi, random TV recommendation to capture, Brit Crime Filler. I love these recommendations. Avi, thank you so much. Tyler Fifer. even when the Braves stink, they own the Mets. I mean, yeah, you ain't talking to me. I don't know if that's to me going like, see?
Starting point is 01:05:36 I don't care. Yeah, the Mets win, the Mets lose. Whatever that happens, happens. I just hope the freaking Pacers decide they don't want to show up on Sunday. It's all I care about. Christian Unpronounceable. Today, I've completed the 49th Revolution around the sun. Took the day off work, and I'm here to have some fun.
Starting point is 01:05:54 Love you, Christian Coyne and Winston. Thank you so much. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Connor, Corkey and Wilson. Hey, Connor's been on one this week, guys. By the time you're reading this,
Starting point is 01:06:06 I should have finished mowing the lawn. I'm probably sweating my balls off right now. Fair enough. Baby, pound, get after it. Go, go do it, go do it. 61, go do it. 61, come on, come on. Yo, y'all want to be a part of history, though?
Starting point is 01:06:19 Yeah, would never before happen. 53-ish away? No, yeah. Four in a row. Roka win? That, you just, I think, you just gave yourself a win by saying that. Connor Mullet,
Starting point is 01:06:30 Bush Light just released a lime flavor. It's delicious. Is it? It's 5 o'clock somewhere, my friends. Now, I don't believe anything Connor's saying right now. Connor is, Connor has been on a, it's been on a tear this week.
Starting point is 01:06:41 Okay. He's the next level compared to, that's the first serious thing. You don't believe. Okay. So you do believe that. I was like, you just say you don't believe a single thing.
Starting point is 01:06:48 He said in two weeks. Okay. Let's see. Next one. And we have. something happening. Connor Mills, Mullis, not Connor Mills. This is the canal, 2989. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:07:05 One, I'm super late on this. Last of Us 2 is my favorite game of all time. At the same time, it is the perfect example of creators smelling their own farts. I feel validated seeing reactions to season two, especially Ellie. Yeah, I think we're on, I think Coy and are on different pages on this one. Winston, did you watch the series? Okay, so I don't know where Winston lands, but I'm more on the camp of the canal i think that they i just don't like what they did with the show the season the more and more i think about it i think they really dropped the ball coy fills the opposite coi liked the show um wins i
Starting point is 01:07:36 i don't think it was as good as season one but i like the bold swing i was i was then in the middle between the two of you where my big indicator for something like that if i start watching a show passively then that means that i'm not super locked in and i'm not i mean obviously but that i'm not vibing as much because I found myself working and watching the show instead of sitting down to watch the show. And that to me is always a big indicator of what was going on. And that happened as the season went. Once we kind of got the last two to three episodes, I was like, okay. Yeah. It's just, I just, I didn't like a lot of the characters this time. John Bean, VOD, creature commandos, still not available in the UK. That's kind of crazy. We're worried for
Starting point is 01:08:25 lanterns distribution and keeping up with the new DCU continuity thoughts why is it available that's weird yeah that surprises me the UK is the big place i don't licensing maybe of music there's a lot of music maybe grab a VPN i don't know what to tell you it's like all i can think of is the yeah it's a good call um VPN uh Connor Mullis the marketing for Superman has me feeling like a kid again i'm excited for Marvel and fantastic for her but it doesn't feel the same i agree I think that there's more excitement around like that Superman feels like a big event film and we haven't had that film in kind of a bit.
Starting point is 01:09:00 It feels special even in the genre we've seen a lot from and the fact that, you know, this long 15 years into this peak superhero time there's something can look this different. I think that's what's selling it. Specifically superheroes, I don't feel like we've had this since
Starting point is 01:09:16 you could maybe say Deadpoolmoverine, but I would actually argue Spider-Man just because of how massive that felt. And then as far as a movie event, I feel like it's been at least two years since Barbie. Because did we really have a major movie event last year? That everybody was like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Again, I guess that's the closest to like feeling like I must see. And that was, you know, a great experience. But this feels big and different, not just big. Yeah. And I say Barbie and not, you could throw Barbenheimer in there. But because of what Oppenheimer was and how serious the tone
Starting point is 01:09:49 and how drawn out, there were certain parts of, culture that just weren't going to see it. That still could also be said about Barbie, but that seemed to transcend one way or the other. So that's the kind of feel I'm getting that vibe right now. Sam. The canal follows it up.
Starting point is 01:10:05 The story went from Ellie being the cure for the disease to revenge. This is the case of unwarranted cynicism similar to Snyder Batman, wrote it up them guy in DeNaris in season eight. That said, I'll buy Last of Us three first day. I mean, that's an honest fan, right? It's like, I like what's going on. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 01:10:21 I'll buy the third one. Fingers crossed, right? Yeah, I definitely think that it's definitely a more cynical season, but I think the things I liked about this season were it manipulating you to feel conflicted about the characters instead of just feel this way. Because the end of season one to me was, oh, I can't believe I feel this way about a character. And then season two is like, you get to feel that times five. And the opening vignettes always built the world out.
Starting point is 01:10:46 So there were things I liked about it while acknowledging, I don't think it's as good as season one. If that makes sense. All right. Robert, Coy, I'm picking up the X-Men book at number 18. I've gone back to the start of the arc, but what is the basic story of the 3K, big pan of it? I think that started at 16, so you're not that far in. And the idea is if memory serves, there's like 10 X-Men books right now.
Starting point is 01:11:07 That book is the one, I think, illustrated by Ryan Stegman, and that's the one where 3K activates the X-G manually. So there's new X-Men being created and formed weaponized against the X-Men. So it's a commentary on power versus like, leadership and all those things. So that's the idea of 3K is manually activating an exchange. Robert, teaching summer school, a student who knows I read comics, asked me about a book called MoneyShod. I've never heard of it. Is it good? Is it appropriate for kids? For kids? Thanks again. I mean, it's a fair question to ask with something called Money Shot. Nope. Not appropriate for kids.
Starting point is 01:11:44 It's a from, I think it's either Vali and Travolta comics written by Tim Sealy who wrote Farrell and
Starting point is 01:11:51 stray dogs, which are like horror commentaries using animals. Money shot is largely what it sounds like. I'm going to say it's a good book
Starting point is 01:11:58 but not for anyone under 1718. The lead character is Sarah Jay. All right. So moving into Sean McGame guys excited for July.
Starting point is 01:12:08 She's like our fourth cast member. What? Between Durasic Superman and Fantastic Four is a slate too crowded to make the big box office numbers expected. Not necessarily. If you can jump back into, remember, this type of stuff happened in summer movies all the time. Now I know we don't live in that kind of time now, but maybe they can recapture some magic, you know, and plus the fact, people want to get into air conditioner in the summer.
Starting point is 01:12:33 I think it's going to build each of the month. I think like Tom Cruise coming out and promoting ballerina didn't help it as much as I wanted it to, but it did show a unity in the movie theater. And this isn't Barbenheimer. This is more of like summer. I think it'll be good for all of them. I know everyone's hurting with money. I know, you know, 10, 15 bucks is a lot of money, but I think people want escapism.
Starting point is 01:12:52 And this is three flavors. I stand by the fact that I think the world is in a pretty crazy place where everybody is feeling something right now. And I think the idea of every weekend, you can go and let your mind free. If you have the money to do it, sure. Derek Johnson, Winston, I travel like that because a lot of professional black men nowadays don't want to go to somebody's baby mama house or side job to get there. hair done. I hear this all the time from colleagues who want reliable.
Starting point is 01:13:18 I totally understand that a thousand percent. I can't remember what city he was going from to, but I, even without doing all that, like, I've got like, I'm able to find another black man that's got a reliable barber or braider that isn't somebody's house. It's at like a barbershop for that exact same reason. That's the only reason why I ask, but I get it. Finstock will do it. Finstock knows how to do brains. I would love to see that. No, he'll do it. He'll do it. It won't be good. I don't know what you're going to look like
Starting point is 01:13:52 afterwards, but he'll do it. She'll look like the island boys. That's what you're going to look like if you do that. If you're lucky. Shel Presence, the fun movie will win with repeat viewings. Yeah. The question is, what's the most fun? That's a very, very fair point. What's the most fun out of all of them?
Starting point is 01:14:09 All right. Hasrow 24. My wife hasn't seen a Marvel movie since end game, but wants to see Fantastic Four opening night. This should be a good sign for Marvel. Now it's got to be good. It is. And I do think having Pedro Fiscal helps. I do.
Starting point is 01:14:21 I think he's one of those people that does go, oh, like we were just talking about with Ryan Gosling and Star Wars, having Pedro Fiscal in there helps your movie. It does. I think it's interesting because it's not as appealing to comic fans with Reed, but it's appealing to the broad fans. And that's what they need to hit because comic fans are going to see it anyway. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:38 There we go. Connor back on form. Thoughts on the Pixar lamp. He assaulted the eye. How rude. Yeah. They should give him his own short. I thought they did.
Starting point is 01:14:47 Do they not? I don't know. They should have. Armada, the 28 years later discourse is so interesting. It is interesting. It really is, because I'll tell you, that's going to be one of those movies where people are going to ask me in the future. Like, what's a movie that you thought everyone was going to love, that you loved, that everybody didn't love? And it's like, I don't know about everybody didn't, but I think it's mixed.
Starting point is 01:15:06 I loved the movie. I came out of the theater and I literally said, this is going to be my most divisive top 10 of the year. Like I felt immediately because I watched it in a crowd of like 30. It was a small screening like a press thing. And I was giddy and I was laughing and I was like in it. And then I looked around and I was like, everyone else looks uncomfortable. Everyone else looks saying. I love it.
Starting point is 01:15:26 I saw my friend Jasmine and as we walked out, she's like, that is the most coy movie ever. And I don't know how to review it. Snyder and his brother hated it. I saw their reaction walking out. I was so locked into the movie. Same. The ending of the film is bizarre, and I wasn't sure how I felt about it, like the very, very ending. You know, Corey would happen.
Starting point is 01:15:46 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I agree that being divisive, but also fun to speculate. It is. It turns it into a different movie, the tone by the very ending of it. But I was like, I was so locked into it. And I thought that kid was extraordinary. Alfie is incredible. Extraordinary.
Starting point is 01:16:03 And Aaron Taylor Johnson continues to be slept on. Like, because his performances are so even and consistent, he does. doesn't get the moment of like dude's good i love to the movie see i've never seen the 28 series so i just haven't bothered to go to see this i would assume i need to see the first two first right yeah yeah you should i mean you won't necessarily be lost but you should see it it improves it he doesn't yeah okay okay news fleming became a member thank you just get a lot of a lot of great then it's another project we're working on is the is the comic book the capes and cows we get the whole thing done we already showed you there's a preview of it we're excited for that
Starting point is 01:16:35 too Connor Mullis gentlemen it's hot dog time get ready I hope you mean actual hot dog all right so let's go 67 guys 67 Armada I bet Brian Cranston from the studio Greenlit the upcoming Smurfs movie I don't know who's asking for another one never count out the Smurfs never count out the Smurfs like the I'm telling you it crosses over because if if those movies do decent enough and you can take kids to see them do not count out kids movies they don't always work But if kids movies work, like look at how to train your drag. Look at Minecraft.
Starting point is 01:17:11 Look at these movies that are crushing right now. And what was the any other one? Lilo and Stitch. Now, I don't think I'll do it. I don't know what I was talking about it. I didn't realize there was out so soon. I saw it. And I chose to see I over F1.
Starting point is 01:17:23 I'm going to see F1 on Monday. But it's fine. It's a warm story. It's a warm story. I'm curious if you think of F1. Can't wait. Seeing it on Monday. See it on Monday and Jurassic World on
Starting point is 01:17:35 Tuesday I think yeah okay edit the movies I love DC showcase with gun congrats boy deserve thank you man I've been working hard I really appreciate that it has indeed okay let's go next one here and Ed also Winston Hallie B mid but game seven app town I mean he that was that was hmm I thought I cannot believe okay C blew that I'd say what I'm more you know what I'm more interested in than I never thought I would. I'm more interested in watching what's going on with Kate and Clark than I am the NBA finals.
Starting point is 01:18:11 I mean, look, I've been a W fan for a minute and it has been interesting to see how a lot of this is playing out. And she, she is, she is all the hype though. She,
Starting point is 01:18:24 I mean, she a thousand percent is. It's, it's, I wish we could just focus on basketball. That's where, that's the only thing I feel. Our power and you're good and that good.
Starting point is 01:18:33 I mean, she's getting people talking about that league. She really is. I mean, and so we'll see. Paddywood, I have tickets for Superman and Fantastic for an IMAX 3D. I love hearing that. That's how we all win. Exactly. Joe Hendo TV, it would be funny if they revealed Ultraman in the movie as Henry
Starting point is 01:18:49 Cavill. People have been saying this. Some of the Snyder fans would shit a chicken. Hey, yo, I'm stealing that. I'm still. I'm sure. I'm too. Really good.
Starting point is 01:19:00 I like that. But yes, it would be hilarious. if he showed up and it's like it's like braveheart unite the cleanse it would be yeah jkk is gifting 10 memberships mean memberships are rolling in here from guys from you guys thank you so much zeus i truly believe it will be batman and you would that would have been leaked i think he's been cast for a while now bigger pop that way i i i want to believe that filmmakers can hold a secret somehow but i genuinely think that would have been leaked I think Snyder would have gotten a hold of it.
Starting point is 01:19:35 Somebody would have. He's got such a like hard on for D.C. That'd be hard to be quick. Yeah, yeah, he would have got a hold of it. Connor Mullis, hot dog time was a success. He'd be Skippy, stupid, I want to go to the city and we've got a hot dog now. Ryan just landed in New York City.
Starting point is 01:19:50 Going to see Hugh Jackman or Radio City tonight, hoping to bump into you over the weekend, Christian. I won't be in the city. I don't live in the city, but enjoy. Did you see when with Hugh Jackman, when he came out, the crowd? Do you see what he did?
Starting point is 01:20:01 The hop and the Uber thing? No, it wasn't an Uber. It was just some random pedestrian. Can you imagine telling your family about, like, I was crazy today. Huge drag, but just got my car. He said, where he said to the guy, where are you going? The guy's like, well, he's like, I'm going to hop in. He got him with his buddy and he jumped in the car.
Starting point is 01:20:16 Dude, that's, that's hilarious. Yeah. Because I didn't realize, I didn't realize that that's, that he was going city to city with this tour. I thought he was, I thought he was strictly doing like country hopping. Yeah. For it. So I, because I put that in my breakdown that's coming out later.
Starting point is 01:20:32 today so interesting okay okay um okay let's see so next one is mad sinister mackow on your 28 years video i said i've been waiting 28 years to see this movie commenters got mad and said the math was wrong and others defended my joke that's hilarious nobody has a sense of humor anymore man nope okay so so let's see next uh connor Mullis, F1 would probably be great in 4DX. Oh, yeah, absolutely. One of my friends has been talking about that. It's like, she has been harassing all of us.
Starting point is 01:21:14 And I was like, I love you. I'm not going to pay $40 to do that right now. Right. Armada, go show. It's your birthday. We're going to part. I'll get your birthday. You didn't write that part out, but I'll sing it for anyway. Armada also says, speaking of comedies, curious about Anaconda film. They're doing a remake. Jack Black and Paul Rudd.
Starting point is 01:21:35 That's so interesting. Well, who do you get instead of Ice Cube? Jack Black and Paul Rudd. No, no, no, no, I get that. But, like, you got to put a rapper back in there. You would like, wait, we go get Kent. Kendrick's a good actor. Except O'Shea Jackson, Jr.
Starting point is 01:21:49 I mean, you could get, you definitely, but he don't rap. He don't rap. He's his dad again. The Coles Sips can't rap. I want justice. Zeus Fleming. Boy, all it's on Radiant Black. It's fun.
Starting point is 01:22:01 It reminds me of, uh, like 80s Spider-Man, I think it was really cool and they were telling it. So guys, it's a comic where there's an alien suit that takes over a guy, but it did a cool thing where it didn't know which person to land on. So the comic was being told twice a month from two perspectives. So you'd see it from one radiant black and then the other and now it's into one. So it's a cool way to tell a different version of the same story. I'm digging it.
Starting point is 01:22:22 I liked it more in the beginning than now, but I like it. All right. Doug developer, just curious, if someone is powerful sent you were pinned on his back and he placed on his chest as he stuck to the ground, It's a great. That's a great call. He would be right. Hulk has canonically not been able to get up from Yulnir. I think he has something stronger than Century. As he gets madder, he would get madder with Yolnir.
Starting point is 01:22:43 I think canonically, Century would not be able to move. It is a thousand percent been a way that Thor has been able to pin an opponent if he needs to. What it's scary sometimes is then when you have people that somehow are worthy of it, even when they're evil for whatever reason. And then you're like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I forgot, by the way, speaking of a millennia, I forgot how much I disliked the storyline of the jilted lover
Starting point is 01:23:06 between the two weapons. When you kept using that as the example of like premieritis, like I came out of that premiere, like, that was fun. And I, to this day, think about, like, what nitrous was in the vince. Yeah, I'm telling you. I'm telling you. The acts just kind of coming in like this.
Starting point is 01:23:22 When I walked out in my theater, I was bombarded by people, what are you talking about, man? I was like, and then all those people have turned. I get introduced it at the L cap, and I was like, guys, it's crazy. And then I watched it the second time and I was like, I've lied to these people. Literally the only two good things about it are Christian Bail and the moments when he's not talking to the kids. And you like the goats. The goats were annoying for me. I was going to say any of the can any of the cancer stuff got to me. I thought that they did a good job with that. Of course. Connor Mullis, Landon's has me more and more intrigued. I'm very that that's that's really up there for me as far as DC goes. Really up there.
Starting point is 01:23:57 I think it's the best below the line team ever assembled. It's the biggest. Go ahead. Sorry. I was just going to say Tom King Ozark showrunner, Damon Lindeloff, like, what a crazy set. It's the DC property that I'm most excited about, even over Superman, even though we're about to hit that Eve of it. That's fair. Connor Mullis, Subway is one of the God's greatest gifts to mankind.
Starting point is 01:24:16 I'll tell you, too many of those meatball subs coming up. I'll tell you. How it was in there, but probably one of the reasons that my clash hole wasn't great. A.A. the holly reporter confirmed superman's 90 to 125 number is from wb third parties energy's number is 125 to 145 this movie will pass the low ball from wb so they can say it overperformed i hope it goes so stoked for it i hope you're right interesting that's not a bad plan to be like yeah no i don't know he's going to do that well and then i'll be wow we crushed yeah they're being a tricky
Starting point is 01:24:49 spot because if you have people having weeks what's tricky is how much the internet fuels opening weekend i think if you have people saying oh it's going to bomb people might not go but the overperformed idea is a great concept but i don't know if they double down on that risk to get that hype afterward because you need it to have legs and opening weekend tiptoe cloud for the fam have a blessed day thank you tipto really appreciate that very kind of you indeed uh jake infected in 28 years years later remind me of the Snyder diehards these days since they do nothing but rage and grown intensely and samson the alpha is big balls samson the alpha alone is you got to use dodging tree trunks one of the guys running i think Snyder cult does wish they had samson's third leg i mean all the
Starting point is 01:25:35 power too you go all the wug of not you know yeah yeah once Winston feels my sports yep did you leave that on the roadcaster can i make that sound well if you can do this If you can do that, I don't think, I don't think that. Which one? What was it named? I think you have the older one though. I think you have the older one. Yeah. No, because they all come with. Is that, is that an effect of the actual broadcast or not a sound?
Starting point is 01:26:02 Yeah, yeah. I am Jacks. A factor I haven't heard discussed much. The box office impact to Superman from current national and global sentiment towards the U.S. thoughts. I mean, I talked, I talked about that, though. I talked about it a couple of weeks ago, but the fact that like, I mean, one of our viewers said that they were in they saw the trailer in Canada and someone booed
Starting point is 01:26:23 I think the trailer is trying to show worldwide sentiment on purpose I think Superman is no longer truth justice the American way he's truth justice and a better tomorrow um but he's still red and blue so I think it's going to have to prove itself beyond that because it is a tricky time to I mean when I traveled as soon as people found out I was American I was much less welcome um so when you're a bully you get treated like what yeah um All right, next one here, and this is Kenya King. The streets are calling it 20 inches later, as it should, as it should be. That makes sense.
Starting point is 01:26:58 DJK, support. Thank you, DJKs, TJKs, some more support. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Right now, you're at 85. Hold on. Just around 30, 30. 30 to go, 30 to go. 30 to go.
Starting point is 01:27:12 30 minutes. 30. Can you do it 30 and 30, potentially? Potentially. Don't let broke a win. win. It's not about us winning. It's about Roka. It's just about beating Roka. And joining history. It is about historic win. Poor Roka. He's got the guy hasn't won in months. I mean, do you guys want to break that streak or our streak? Right. Jake, I know you haven't done unedited watch longs for TV shows,
Starting point is 01:27:38 but would you make an exception for anticipated shows like Stranger Things 5 or piece? That would have to be a membership thing, though, because they'll pull you in. That's what you're saying. You know, unedited, I do, no, but the unedited watchalongs, I just, you have them all on the Patreon, but it's not, you don't sync up the whole movie, you don't show the whole movie, you just sync it up, you have time codes. So like, that's essentially what you would do for that too, but I don't know. I don't know if I would do TV shows. I'm not, I'm not sure because it's a matter of also, I'm probably going to do peacemaker by myself and Stranger Things Five. I'm not sure either. Yeah, I don't know yet.
Starting point is 01:28:13 not sure uh joe late i know did anyone catch the timeline mistake in karate kid legends yeah it goes back to 86 it was really 85 that's true that's true uh karate kid two takes place six months after the first well i still haven't seen it because you guys scared me off that it was so bad it's it's not just so bad just i'm gonna react to it so i haven't seen you either yeah it's not i don't yeah it's just a movie uh See, that is, but see, here's the thing. I am more concerned would you give me those reviews than when you're like, this was trash.
Starting point is 01:28:51 When you say that, I'm all like. It doesn't know what it wants to be. It doesn't know what it wants to be. Which, again, is a little scarier because sometimes it's fun to hate watch things that are bad, bad. But if you're just really just like, oh, man, they don't know what they're doing. Spidey Sensee, 72. Grace Caroline Curry for Wonder Woman, thoughts? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:29:09 Grace Caroline Curry for Wonder Woman. Take a look. Let me see. Jesse Eskamelea, really support, but I want my capes and calis to win. It's very kind, Jesse. Thank you. Oh, it's Shazam girl, the one that, um, yeah. Jesse, uh, thank you for the support, my friend.
Starting point is 01:29:29 Appreciate that he wants to capes and calis to win, guys. So there you go. Um, C, Michael T. Remember, will you and Sam watch the Guardians holiday special before Guardians 3? There's some good stuff in everything she'd like. Can we for Guardian 3? Yes, we will be watching that for sure, 100%. I think it's, I think it's relevant to what's,
Starting point is 01:29:44 going on and leaning into Guardians 3. I mean, especially even the opening, if I remember correctly, because what Star Lord is already pretty upset. So then to follow it up at the beginning of three where he still hasn't gotten over it, I think that that's, I think that's a, it's kind of important. Yeah, she's going to love it. It's also like delightful and charming and Christmas. Oh, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:30:06 Yeah. Okay, let's see. Next one after that. Hopping over the fences part. Yeah, it's coming big. She's going to love it. Marcus M. Best Legacy comic book character.
Starting point is 01:30:16 What do we call them legacy? We're talking about like Passing the Torch type situation. Like Miles. Yeah. Oh. I mean, I would argue potentially the lanterns
Starting point is 01:30:33 in general. I don't think people really click into Alan Scott like that. I would also argue the flashes because people aren't really leaning into, oh my God, what's his name? Barry versus Wally. Not even that.
Starting point is 01:30:44 Before that, first flash tin hat oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah see that's my point uh if not them then mr terrific because i didn't know that the mr terrific that's there is actually the second yeah michael hold the second there's a lot i like connell a lot i like super boy he's not the best but i like super boy a lot the canal 2989 can't stand political correctness made a mild joke people got offended all south park and juries are inbreds where is the lie hey i like it i'm not inbred i like that i like that i like that coy doesn't like it so he's going to agree with you um i like that I haven't seen in a long time, but I, the movie,
Starting point is 01:31:18 Koi and I are on the different side of the street. B Gill Studios. I don't think people are superhero fatigued as the hype for soups is amazing. I think people are more Marvel fatigue, just my opinion. How about you? I think it's, I think people are fatigued with average movies. I think something's got to be special in order for them to spend their money. I think there's not a lot of bombs accordingly. Sorry, Winston.
Starting point is 01:31:42 Like, not just comic stuff. I think that it is expensive to go to the movies. It has to look exceptional. I think also when you look at the ones that really didn't do well, there wasn't really a message. It got a little muddled. Like, you know, I think about the ones that did do well. I know Guardian's 3 was the end of a saga, but like it really tapped into depression, like pretty heavy. You know what I mean? Like I think it was some, Captain America Brave New World. Part of my problem is, is I feel like you didn't really go for anything. you kind of were scared to talk about anything so you kind of took your foot off the gas multiple times and so i was like were we going to go or are we just going to is this the teacups we're just going to
Starting point is 01:32:22 okay well cool uh okay let's say moving on to the next one i don't want to get too much into this nathan drake what's with the power rangers in 28 years later i got to leave it at that i got to leave it at that uh julius wyatt will we get a teaser for the odyssey in four of Jurassic World. They are both Universal movies. Is Odyssey this year? No, but sometimes they tease it within a year out, but is it
Starting point is 01:32:50 we get an Oppenheimer teaser in front of Nob? I don't think so. I don't think so. I think if you get an I think you're going to get the the Odyssey at the end of the year. Like a Christmas push for the summer. Because what is Universal have at the end of the year? Not sure,
Starting point is 01:33:08 but I mean, yes, wicked. It'll be with Wicked. It'll be a Wicked. That makes it. So that makes sense. And they'll also buy spots and get it in front of Avatar. Yeah. It'll be great. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Julius Wyatt. Oh, we did that. Sorry. Okay. So let's see. And the next one here is Jake. We are one week until squid game finale. I'm worried.
Starting point is 01:33:29 And the bear dropping all up to it once next week, the bear will hardly get any attention. The bear, are they doing the same thing again? They're dropping the whole thing at once. I really wish they would stop doing that. Because of that, dude. I'm not even going to, like, bother. I don't get it. I'm going to watch it slowly over time and not even do the coverage.
Starting point is 01:33:45 I don't know why they're doing that. Connor Mullis, for real, Bush Light Time. Look it up, yammers. All right. Is this true? Droopy McClure. Just said this a new slick Rick album? What?
Starting point is 01:33:58 Winston, look that up, please. I am doing that right now. I mean, I didn't even finish typing the, whoa. Is there, is there one? Yeah, apparently there is. It's called Victory. I got a look. It's victory for me.
Starting point is 01:34:11 Marcus M. Money shot with Sarah Jay did well at the box office. It definitely did well in the box office. Boxer office. Say Doom is in Fantastic 4 post credit, would that carry it to $1 billion? I think he might be more than a post credit. I have a theory.
Starting point is 01:34:33 And I think Koi said something of a similar thing. I don't actually necessarily think the fantastic, I got to be quiet because I'm about to spoil something from Thunderbolts. Yeah, be careful. Conor Moll. Spaghetti with Al-Fredo, let's hear it. I mean, well, spaghetti versus Alfredo, I mean, tomato sauce and Alfredo sauce.
Starting point is 01:34:51 Are you talking about? Yeah, tomato sauce over Alfredo sauce. Too heavy. Put them together. Actually, Alfredo with pesto. Mix those together. That those are those spaghetti all day-to-day spaghetti. Yeah. Nathan Drake, I was disappointed to hear that Boyle isn't directing the next movie.
Starting point is 01:35:07 As am I. I didn't even know that until just now. I'm not sure about Nia da Costa. Marbles and Candyman were not good. Is Neander da Costa doing an echo? Bone Castle, whatever the title is. Bone. I like Candyman a lot, so I'm excited because I didn't feel like Neanderda Costa directed the Marvels.
Starting point is 01:35:23 I felt like the studio did, but I like Neander. But here's my problem with that, not Neatocaston. It's that Danny Boyle was as much of a star in this movie. Oh, I don't disagree there. It's Danny Boyle's style for me that made me enjoy. this movie the way I enjoyed it. I think his style was not it wasn't just the story. It was the way he directed it. That that was the reason why I don't think the next person is I don't think people get it the way that he does. My take is that I feel like 28 the arc we've had the three
Starting point is 01:35:59 ends before the last section and that's a trilogy and then the trilogy that they're going to have three different directors for is this new trilogy. So it'll be like an L but I don't know if that's going to play out. Cammy Egan. Did you guys see the toxic Avenger trailer? It looks awesome. That's the one of Dinklage is in it right now. Someone said this to me, I didn't even
Starting point is 01:36:18 check it out. It's not to say that it's not going to be good. It might be. But I don't really have an interest in it. I haven't seen the trailer. Didn't realize it was out, but I'm glad the movie's going to get released. That's exciting. Elijah would. Yeah. It's a great cast. It's a good cast.
Starting point is 01:36:32 Nerds Engage. Already excited for the summer movies, but how excited would Schnapp be with a Superman and Fantastic Four in the same month? He would love it. I'm still sad that I never got the chance to meet him, man. Yeah, I know. I know that. You guys would have gotten along for sure.
Starting point is 01:36:47 He was the best. Connor Mullis, will Marvel reboot after Secret War, soft reboot? I mean, I think it's like a soft reboot because they're going to probably just focus on the X-Men, but there's still how the Avengers running around the joint. I think that there is a world because similar to Secret Wars, the comic,
Starting point is 01:37:03 you decided to destroy the, you know, the ultimate universe and bring Miles with it. and all that kind of stuff. I think that opens up an avenue to be like, we're going to stop talking about variants and we're going to introduce things that we kind of want to be going forward.
Starting point is 01:37:16 Matt Krugman, Battlebeast number two, Koi? Liked it. I'm not as big in the Invincible Comics lately just because I had that craziness like two decades ago, but it was fun to go back in that world a little bit. I love that Conner Mullins is equal parts, chaos, and actual questions today. Connor Mullins is the kind of drunk I was,
Starting point is 01:37:40 for June team yesterday. Like, God damn. Mr. I Cromiches. Just saw Debbie Does Dallas at a 4DX theater. No, my God. Our audience you guys
Starting point is 01:37:54 doing the worst. They really are. Julius Wyatt, I think 28 years later was mismarkated. It wasn't the movie I was expecting. I think I needed to watch it to understand how I feel on it and I'm mixed.
Starting point is 01:38:06 I really liked how crooky it was. I don't think you can market that movie any differently. I think the marketing was cookier than people. I was so locked into it. I was just so locked in. Zeus Fleming. It's nuts. It's a really nutty movie. Turning 50 and booked my first big movie. Advice. Thank you, Zeus. Dude. Just do what you're doing. Just do what you be, you know, just just believe in yourself. That's the best advice I can give you. My advice is every day on set, like, appreciate it. Because, you know, you can book the biggest thing ever and not work again. You can
Starting point is 01:38:40 the biggest thing ever to change your life but no matter what you book the biggest thing enjoy that part drink it all in yeah don't cry too much uh just have fun uh haskell yo sub game be a collider russell kreau has joined cavil in the highlander reboot i love this news no idea who he's playing with jorrell and kelle on screen together again i love this news he's perfect for highland yeah that's great i like that perfect uh sun zoo yo gang do you guys think we get the real von Doom reveal the end of Secret Wars because I don't see RDJ as our primary doom going beyond Secret War. How many movies did he sign up for?
Starting point is 01:39:19 I don't know. They just said that they just said the number. Yeah, I don't think you can do that though of doing the whole. Oh, just kidding. He's not the real Doom. I don't think you can do that. I think people would be like the casual fan goes like this. I think I think if you're going to do it, you do similar to what was kind of happening
Starting point is 01:39:36 with the Silver Surfer, which I actually think someone made a very good point in a video I saw of when people were freaking out about, oh, you're giving us a female server, is she, MCHU, why are you doing this? We want Nord ran to the point of if it's a dimension that you're leaving, then you wouldn't want to just introduce Nord to get rid of him. So, of course, you're doing that. So it's also a possibility that in Secret Wars,
Starting point is 01:39:56 they get rid of this Doom, and then there is another Doom that we get to see because I think you need Doom around for the long run. I just don't know if Robert Downer is going to stick around for the long run. Yeah, and you pay him enough, he will. Christian Unpronounceable support for Koi and Winston. There you go. Uh, next one is Shay.
Starting point is 01:40:12 What's up, Shay? Support, fellas. Keep being great. Thank you. What number we have? Got my ticket for J.W. rebirth. Superman, fantastic four.
Starting point is 01:40:27 Can't wait to see him. July is stacked. Two billion total box office for the month. Well, that's a definite. I think more. Two billion is possible. Yeah. Two billion is possible.
Starting point is 01:40:38 Connor Mollis. Caitlin Clark out here, repping Iowa. Let's go. Yeah. uh mad sinister mccall dan merle has strong mental healthy just three hours to a cravenged screening i would have he's good the guy though he really does he's i mean he's got his work with it's incredible the fact he'll drive five hours to dallas to get there and then five back to go see the movie it's
Starting point is 01:41:01 great he just really likes driving i hope he's got some good podcasts job so he does big bust him what is a crossover you want to see between marvel and dc in the comics after batman and deadpool I want to see big beta ray bill and lobo. Oh, that's fun. I like that. I want to see Wonder Woman and Cat. Nope, Wonder Woman Cab of both DC. I want to see Catwoman and Black Cat.
Starting point is 01:41:25 I want to see Spider-Man and Superboy, because they crossed over in the Amalgam universe. It'd be cool to see that updated. Superman and Thor is always cool. Winston, what do you got? I mean, Gambit. Definitely Gambit and Ooh, booster gold.
Starting point is 01:41:47 I like that. Gambit, booster gold would be wild. And they're like having a competition to see how many ladies they could get with and whatnot. Spoon on mobile. Support. Four in a row. Matt Krugman. Back to Mando Grogo trailer voice because I'm behind.
Starting point is 01:42:08 I meant the troll voice you always use when you talk about the movie because you hate that. Oh, man, I don't know how I do that. we need text to do it Jordan Belfort Jordan Belfort needs to find the ludes It's like shades of BFC Yeah Let's see, Shea Markill
Starting point is 01:42:29 I've been on a pre-2000s-era movie binge And it's great just off Vanilla Sky Great movie and I enjoyed how Stranger was I've never seen the beach it's next I got to go and see the beach again I did not like it when I saw it It was before at one point Decaprio I think it was departed that
Starting point is 01:42:43 I don't remember, maybe not, but there was a movie that turned me around. Yeah, it was departed where it turned me around from DeCaprio just screaming and yelling all the time from being like a teenager. Even when he was in that, I'll remember him screaming and yelling in the beach. And I was like, oh, how does it scream and yell? Now he's your, you should check it out again. It's the team behind 28 years later, man. It's boiling. No, I know.
Starting point is 01:43:02 I got to see. I got to see it. I haven't seen it since it came out whenever that was. Connor Mullis, as the saying goes, yippy, skippy, don't tickle my nippy. Peace, yeah. As they say. Who said that, Gandhi? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:14 Let's see. Armada. Gerard Butler pulled up to one of the Dragon premieres with the Gucci mask. I saw that. With the Gucci mask? Yeah, the, the beard mask. Yeah, he did. She said, she sent to the Finstock.
Starting point is 01:43:27 Shane Arkell, Vanilla Sky is 2001, but you get it. Support. Thank you. Mad Sinister. Biggest fear, naked people chasing me just saw 28. It was terrifying. It really is. Winston has no idea what he's getting into, but I love his.
Starting point is 01:43:41 He's walking around one of the treats from, Endor attached to his pants. Jesse Marquez. Great shows, fellas. Keep it up. I understood that reference. 28 years later, or the zombie Full Monty. That also would scare the hell out of me.
Starting point is 01:43:58 Jesse, support. hashtag beat Roca. We're going to do it? Maybe. Jesse Marquez, support. Christian Unpronounceable. Have any of you seen Knights of Bad Aston? I don't know what that is.
Starting point is 01:44:10 Came out like four or five years ago. I think it was a movie. I don't know what it is. Joe for show. I wish I could see Harold and Kumar 3 and 40X. Harold and Kumar is at the Christmas one, some of the best 3D ever going to see. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:24 Connor Mullis. Okay, just one more for the cause. Hashtag be roga. They're making another Harold and Kumar right here. I know, yeah, yeah. Oh, wow. Jake, people saying the December 2028 MCU film wouldn't be a Secret Wars part two because it delay X-Men another year, but why can't we have X-Men between films?
Starting point is 01:44:38 That's true. I mean, I think that that's very fair. I think that's more than fair. You could do it. You could, you don't, yeah, I think they're holding the spot. I think it's going to be three movies and they're holding the spot. I can also see that being realistic. Reese alert.
Starting point is 01:44:53 What do you guys think of Tom Brittany as DCU Batman? Tom Brittany. I don't know this man. Not familiar with this individual's game. Let me say Tom Brittany. I don't, I've seen him rumored for something. What was he in? Oh, interesting.
Starting point is 01:45:05 I don't, interesting look. I don't know what he's known. Oh, he was up for Superman. He was one of the finalists we talked about. That's why we've talked about him. I saw him rumored somewhere. Okay. Oh, I remember him in Unreal.
Starting point is 01:45:16 Okay. Joe for sure. Two billion for July. I'm going with 3.4. That's a lot. I mean, what's fair also is here, they're not the only three movies coming out in July. There's other movies that are coming out.
Starting point is 01:45:31 Okay. So Julius Wyatt, Chris, your favorite FSU football game you went to when they won the championship in New Orleans. Oh, you went to the chip? against Michael Vic. Yeah, I went to both of them. I went to one where they went, and then I went to the one when they were in California when they, when they won the, uh, when they went out there.
Starting point is 01:45:49 But I, but the one in New Orleans was the best. It was great. Uh, okay. Cammy Egan. Coy, how much did you like James Gunn's hair? That DC podcast with him was great. So Frankie thought or Frankie heard a rumor that his hair was a wig. So James literally bent and let her strong his hair.
Starting point is 01:46:08 So there's full contact gun hair. Um, it's, it's, it's, uh, alarmingly, um, voluminous. It's so stark and wonderful. He's a lovely head of hair. I'm jealous. Doeyes support. Connor Mollas. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:46:21 Now we ain't let Roko win. Uh, Kalia voice. Another one. Another one. Another one. That's the second one. There you go. Mr.
Starting point is 01:46:32 I, crabbing shit's coming in hot. He saw Lisa Ann and a movie for DX theater. He felt something. went, he looked down, and lo and behold, it was Lisa Ann. I'm awaiting the test results now. It burn us when I do. All right.
Starting point is 01:46:49 All right. Breathe, breathe, breathe, deep, breathe deep. Force, support in a row. Tyler Fifefer, rewatch Master and Commander for the first time. What a fantastic movie. Not a lot of people talk about it anymore. That's another one I have to go back and watch. It was in the 2003 or something when that movie came out.
Starting point is 01:47:06 If it is 2003, I'm going to be impressed with myself. Can someone look that up and see? mowdown champion doesn't really impressed at myself um it's one of the best dad movies no one talks about yeah i haven't seen it in front was since it came out uh it was it was 2003 wow far side of the world right yep yeah they saw it 2003 because it's the same reason the other day that i remembered because i saw it with my ex-girlfriend in california and i was like she wasn't in california very long kind of and that's when she was there j mobile more support four in a row got to be close we got to be roper we got to see mac crugman thonged
Starting point is 01:47:40 on a fan cast of Killian Murphy as Voldemort. I like that cast. That's a good casting. I like that one a lot. Jay Mobile, more support. Four in a row, they're trying. They're trying. Tyler Pfeiffer.
Starting point is 01:47:52 I was at the FSU game when Georgia Tech blocked the field goal and returned it to win. Stop this. I did not make it to Ireland last year, though. Go Jackets. Well, don't bring that one up. I just brought up happy memories. Jay Mobile. More support, four in a row.
Starting point is 01:48:04 Come on. Chey Markell. Am I alone in thinking? Days of Thunder 2 would be awesome? especially if it was done with the same effort as Top Gun 2. I love an alleged returns. I thought it was already, I thought they were talking about it. Yeah, I thought so too.
Starting point is 01:48:18 I thought it got greenlit. I want more rubbing his racing. Cold trickle lives. You can give, so you saw one. You can do, you can do, um, uh, thoughts on it already. Yeah, yeah. I think it is, um, this year's Top Gun in a different way. I don't think it's quite as rewatchable, but it's the same feeling of how movies felt in the
Starting point is 01:48:35 90s in the summer. Like it's that spectacle. But I do think the three hour runtime won't make it as repeat. feeling, but it's so big and it feels incredible to, like, strap yourself to a car like a jet. I love that. I'm super excited for that movie. It's my... Red Pit, like, is so charming, dude.
Starting point is 01:48:50 I've sent it so many times. I don't know what it is. It's like, you know, you those people who say, I don't watch baseball, but I love baseball movies. Yeah. That's me race car. That's me race car. Yeah. I love race car movies. Even that Grand Turismo that just came out. I was so slept on. I loved Rush. I loved Ford versus Ferrari,
Starting point is 01:49:07 Talladega Knights. I love the race car. movies. I love them. You're going to love this. I can't wait. Jay Mobile, more support, four in a row. Joe for show. Would you shave your head and eyebrows Winston if it guaranteed a cowboy Super Bowl win?
Starting point is 01:49:23 I was shaved my hair. My eyebrows. They may not grow back. They may not grow back. So like that's the only thing. By the time your eyebrows grow back, the Browns will have one of a Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:49:38 It would have to, it would guarantee. I don't even like Jerry Jones that much. Like, you know what I'm saying? You have to tell me that Jerry Jones is gone and we win the Super Bowl and I'll shave everything. I wouldn't let you do it. Jay mobile, more support, four in a row. Jesse, come in with his third one day.
Starting point is 01:49:53 Okay, fine, one more. Love you guys. Look at Jesse. Jesse coming in hot. He didn't, was his first one ever, now he did three. Thank you, Jesse. Christian unpronounceable. Beat the rope.
Starting point is 01:50:02 Beat the rope. And trying hard. Jay Mobile, more support. Guys, wait, wait, wait, before you read the next one. If we're not already there, you've got to help us do it because, remember fourth round roka do you know how mad he'll be if we got four to row he hates the number four
Starting point is 01:50:15 that's that for him don't even bring that up to him Connor Mullis I want the slomber blues played on my flesh flute oh alright Motorola he's crushing motor rolling to the gamers out there Luke almost won his first solo Fortnite games for a song
Starting point is 01:50:30 that's his son thank you yeah I do enjoy wrestling with the bros Mark's name should be breakable not admissible false advertising Yikes. He comes back. Jamel. I need y'all to set the new record. Well, the new record, I mean, as far as like in a row, maybe, but as far as Winston and I are going to hold that one for a long time.
Starting point is 01:50:51 The single, the single day record, but yes, but the multi-week record, come on. You guys can do it. Yes, can do it. Marcus M. Courtney Eaton from Yellow Jackets for Wonder Woman. I think Roxy and I talked about that the other day. I think that's a possibility. Okay, now, yes. I, yes. I don't know her work. but look wise. I'm here for it.
Starting point is 01:51:11 Yeah. Mr. I crappins. Joey Chestnut now has competition in Nathan's hot dog eating contest. He's and Sarah J have joined the competition. I don't know why porn stars don't do the hot. It's a skill set that runs parallel. Tyler Fiper. Sorry, I don't have too many good memories.
Starting point is 01:51:30 A couple just happened to be against Florida State. Fair enough. I just don't do it. For, for, for, thank you. Pizza. Oh my God, I want to get some pizza. Matt Krugman, Kathleen Kennedy is the Jerry Jones and Lucas film. Yikes. Well, said, Jake, Roka is going to start with,
Starting point is 01:51:49 here's the thing. Jay Mobile, in a row record, I mean, fair enough. Okay, Mr. I crap. Winston, I shave my head, and my browns went, oh, and 16. You're not convincing me. This is a good plan. Joe for show. Christian, would you shave your eyebrows for a Yankees,
Starting point is 01:52:06 World Series win and Giants Super Bowl in the same year? No. I would not, eyebrows, same thing. Wouldn't do it. What if Nick's all, what if, what if every single major New York team? Yeah, not for, no, what, it wasn't paying me? They wouldn't look for him. Oh, it wouldn't do it for me.
Starting point is 01:52:20 And so, like, I shaved my head in a bet, and I haven't, it's on the, it's online somewhere, where it was, it was when the Red Sox beat the Yankees or won the World Series in 2007, I had my head shaved on stage. Mark Ellis is actually on stage with me, but this, but I had my head shaved, uh, and a bet. on it's on there somewhere. Jesse, Eskamelea, who says, keep it going. Jesse, I'm in with number four. Connor Mullis, wonder what Roca's excuse will be
Starting point is 01:52:46 this time. Stop. Fasierbruta, take your prick. Take your prick. That's what I did 20 years later. 20 years later. Fassia, Brut, take your, godfather or godfather, too. I know you don't agree Foscia, but two. You've never seen him, Quay? No, I have, but only once. Wow. Shay Markell, speaking of racing movies, do you guys prefer the story to take placed in an official league versus street racing style story think fast one versus rush the league yeah
Starting point is 01:53:14 those are usually my favorite like the actual sports story element of it all it depends my mood i think street is more fun league is more sports movie uh jesse marquez beat roca and then wrestling with the pros mark never recovers if you know you know yep i don't know i don't know i don't know chamel how close are we now all right when the guys beat Roka when it happens Pickballs will do a song Yeah

Starting point is 01:54:01 What did they do Well well I'm about to tell you They hit 154 Oh yeah Oh yeah What do you say It's not April May
Starting point is 01:54:12 We're talking about who? Winston and Sarah Jay. Oh, yeah. Come on. Woo! Let's start talking. Let's start talking, baby. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:24 Bye-bye. He did it. You guys did it. Four in a row. They did it with 155. And we're not even done yet, guys. Still, we're not even done. 156.
Starting point is 01:54:42 I don't even done. Let's see. He's going to be so mad, but guys, you should totally tweet it Roka. I don't realize that he was in, I don't think he knew he was in the lead because Chris Carr, Chris Carr did this one. Steph, poor Steph. Steph is in the slump. Steph only hit like 35 yesterday. Steff's in the slums right now.
Starting point is 01:55:02 Steph's in the slums. Steph needs a win also. But let's see. Right now I'm going to see where else. We have, we got some more. and this is Ed Haskell singing Coyne Winston with the Fantastic Four. They did it. Okay.
Starting point is 01:55:18 There you go. Fantastic Four. Matt Krugman, would you rather win a dollar or free tickets to Shurotabell? How are you going? I would take a beer. I like going to sports games. Even bad teams.
Starting point is 01:55:32 Tyler Pfeiffer. Bring back, shave your head, and go to sleep. Yeah, that was a good one. You guys don't know what that is. It's out on, I was on. I was on movie talk, I think, and somebody said something. I said, oh, get out of here. You tell those people to go shave their head and go to sleep.
Starting point is 01:55:46 Oh, I do remember that clip. This is a stupid comment. Eric Slaby, why are the Mets better than the Yankees? Are they? You live in a multiverse where that's not true. Shane Arkell, did it again. Yes, they did. Is Moneyball the best sports movie?
Starting point is 01:56:02 No, but it's a really good one. I know you saw that one. I'm familiar with the cast. and everything and even the concept i just it didn't look interesting to me but people have said good things i just haven't circle back it's good Connor mollis love you all thank Connor helps get you get that win today j mobile the champs are here the champs are here four in a row can they do it again with five uh we'll see next week mr i crappinches just now he does dallas with big ball yeah no no davy does disney bro oh with people perfect yeah yeah he yeah he they

Starting point is 01:57:10 Eating is not cheating and milk is for babies. That's fragment. I am a native and loyal Chicago sports fan, but jeesh, I can't take this life anymore. It'll get better. It'll get better eventually. I have a feeling. They finally put all the pieces around,
Starting point is 01:57:23 Caleb. This is put up or, I mean, it's only year two, but it's kind of put up or shut up time to prove that he's that number one pick. And I genuinely believe that you can do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:31 Well, guys, you did it again. 163 on a Friday going into the weekend. Boy and Winston. The champs are here. Undisputed champs right now. Four in a row. Who is going to take them out?
Starting point is 01:57:44 We are going to see next week. So I'm just kidding. 164 as we get Jesse. We did it. One more just because I love this show. That's really nice. Jesse came in. Everyone coming in to make sure up.
Starting point is 01:57:55 Just kidding. 165. Is there a movie that you know shouldn't have a sequel? But you wouldn't mind it because you just enjoyed living in that world for a bit. Mine is a terminal with Tom Hanks. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's such a hard question
Starting point is 01:58:08 right general but like what's a movie you know shouldn't have a sequel uh inception like they should never give away the ending like I love that right but I love living the world it's a good call it's a good call you could do a spin off but you can't do it's gonna be like you should never well someone said back to the future but I said I mean
Starting point is 01:58:24 back to the future I'm one of the rare people I think that you can continue that world with the DeLorean it just has to be it just has to be different people unknown saw Valkyries play Fever Crow was into it more than Warriors game. Peyton Clark, who? Caitlin Clark, who?
Starting point is 01:58:41 Yeah, I mean, no, the Valkyries are fun, man. They keep slapping around the sparks. I don't know that, but they're fun team to watch the expansion team this year out of Golden State. This went from trying to catch up to whoopened that ass with 166. Damn. Yeah, it was a really good one for the guys. Good job here.
Starting point is 01:59:01 Coy, where can they find you? Find me on YouTube at Coy Jondro. There's motor rolling coming in and says Olson and Bettney announced for LA Comic-Con.
Starting point is 01:59:54 Think an announcement for Doomsay, Secret Wars Vision Quest maybe. I don't think they really announced much at LA Comic-Con. It's more of a signing appearance con. Yeah. I don't really think it's like it's not really one of the big things. that they do anymore. I don't think like it's it's more like old school kind of comic come, which is I think something that they need. We're on Spotify, guys. So make sure you go over there. We have a lot of different things going on in the channel. Mr. I crab and shits with the ending of predator. What's a killer of killer of what? Killer of killers. Thank you. Arnold back as Dutch in the sequel. I didn't see the ending of it. Is he in it the ending? I haven't seen it. Oh, okay. I'd love
Starting point is 02:00:35 I'd love for, I'd love for them to get Arnold back to, to as old Dutch, be great. I mean, that would, that would do well. That would do very well. But, you know, it's a matter of what if he wants to do that or not. Thanks for being here, guys. I appreciate you very much. Thanks for Corey. Thanks for Winston.
