Starting point is 00:01:12 Who knows? Could it be Spider-Man? Who knows? I don't know. Christian doesn't tell me these things. He's just like, hey, man, I can't make it to the studio, so I'm just going to need you to do stuff today and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm like, all right, I can handle that.
Starting point is 00:01:22 I'm fresh off vacation, so you can kind of tell my voice is a little screwed up, why my lips look like I've been drinking Kool-Aid because they are burnt to hell. I split my toe open, man. There's a lot of stuff that happened. I kind of lost my mind during Fourth of July. But I'm here. I am here. I am ready to host the show.
Starting point is 00:01:43 I got Mike with me, man. We don't get to do this very often. And if we do, it's typically, you know, we're doing the superhero thing. So it's kind of dope that we get to just talk regular ass, epic-ass movies today because, you know, Nolan's first reactions for The Odyssey is out and people are losing their minds. The girl from Obsession, I believe her last name is Navarette. She's been meeting with all sorts of major directors.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Looks like that movie is really blown up for her, blown up her spot. Fourth of July, box office was dog water for everybody. which means bad things for Supergirl, but it means like bad things for any other movie trying to get their foot in the ground. Netflix is having an issue with season two of the shows. That was impressive. And Barble Studios is rumored to be eyeing
Starting point is 00:02:35 former Sergeant Rock director to Helmy Future MCB products. We got a lot to talk about, man. It's going to be a good time here on the Christian Harlov show, myself, by Kownawski. And box office blues, baby. Let's do it. Welcome back to the Christian. Harlov show. I am the Swaggy Blurred Winston A. Marshall
Starting point is 00:03:00 filling in for Christian Harloff, if you missed my little opening rant of confusion. But I'm not doing it by myself. I, of course, am being joined by one of the most carpal man on the internet with the most quotables on this show by a mile. I feel like we play every single one of those that he has on here at least two or three times a show. Of course, I'm talking about the one and only Mr. Mike Kalanowski. What's up? What's up, man? I didn't even think about that. Like, I see those when he plays in my
Starting point is 00:03:28 on our show to fuck with me. But then I was like, we play plays around everyone's show. And that's got to piss people off. That's got to annoy the shit out of people. Dude, the number of times he will open it up just like this. Just, just to mess with people. But it's, it's, again, you have got fucking quotables, brother.
Starting point is 00:03:50 And I feel like you need to be, like, whatever we finally go and check out the New York studio, there needs to be a Mike Kahnowski statue outside, like staple center bro like you just you clearly own own the game bro and start charging him per sound bite that i give him oh absolutely bro just i shouldn't even say this out loud because he'll instantly be like fire him i'm done with his ass but just starts in a copy ratio that's my face what do you do it get take that shit off just like but how you been man i can't complain i'm all right i'm right better not as good as you education and never have to living it up
Starting point is 00:04:28 Dude, my friends and I do a yearly Palm Springs trip around the 4th of July. Oh, nice. To get away from the city, go enjoy a pool. I had the incredible privilege of being able to watch World Cup games from an infinity pool over the weekend. Oh, shit. Wow. So I was just floating around drinking beers and just watching, like, football. And I was having a time of my life.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Oh, shit. That's great. But I did not reapply sunscreen or, like, live. bomb sunscreen or or face sunscreen. So I'm just burned everywhere. I think at 38 years I would have learned by now that even my black ass can burn. But I did not. So I'm a little miserable right now.
Starting point is 00:05:14 But, you know, I'm excited to do the show, man. Let's get it popping and make sure we cover all the stuff. So why don't we start off with this one? Odyssey is officially got reactions to it. and people are loving it. The first reactions to Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey have hit social media. The reactions coming from a mix of Junkett Press,
Starting point is 00:05:36 premiere attendees, some critics and journalists, and the odd influencer. As a result, the reaction was expected to skew positive, and it has, incredibly so. Response is called the flaw, call it, flawless filmmaking and a staggering achievement with praise all around for the film. Some welcome reveals from the reaction
Starting point is 00:05:55 include how Nolan reportedly doesn't shy away from the horror or supernatural aspects of the story. Proper reviews aren't out until next Wednesday, but here's how people have responded so far, and I've tried to stick with critics and journalists where possible in the reactions posted. The Odyssey is surprising natural and less despairing Oppenheimer follow-up about a man haunted by defying the gods and dooming civilization. This one fights to avenge his own hubris. IMAX obviously immense, too clunky to be S-tier Nolan, but the last act rewards the journey, David Elric Indie Wire. Then you got from David Crowe of Den of Geek, monumental on so many levels, more hard than any Nolan film since Interstellar. It crammed so much, including overly curious fantasy elements and, sorry, overly cautious fantasy elements and curious real Greek history that its scope outpaces even 70-millimeter.
Starting point is 00:06:54 meter iMacs. But it is gorgeously outstretched. Anne Hathaway is the sincere anchor of the film and is phenomenal. My faves, though, are Samantha Morton as Searcy and Robert Pattinson chewing through scenery. Then we have Phil de Semmelen
Starting point is 00:07:09 from Tymound. Ooh boy. Need some water. Believe the hyperbole. The Odyssey is that film, dense but accessible, packed with career, best work from the stack cast. Samantha Morton is extraordinary. It is a dizzying mix of craft and spectacle that's built to last. Then we have Joseph Rothkoff. I'm assuming that's how you say that from the LA Times.
Starting point is 00:07:35 And I also met Joshua, not Joseph. Holy crap. I'm going to drink some water real quick, guys. Hold on. That was embarrassing. All right. Let's continue. The Odyssey is staggering. Earthly, ghastly, wady, touched by humor and grandeur alike. It's pure cinema. It obviously the story is about returning home, but in a larger sense, this is. This is a is also a return home to the robustly entertaining action movies that cinema was invited to tell. Simon Thompson from Gold Derby. Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is flawless filmmaking.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Every Injus epic as you'd expect. Leading a stellar cast, Matt Damon gives Odysseus, everything in a career best powerhouse performance. Robert Pattinson is outstanding as Anteanis and John Liguizamos, Eumaeus is sublime. From Jordan Farley, Games Radar, the Odyssey's monumental filmmaking, its interpretation of Greek mythology, electrifyingly uncanny, staggering scale, thrillingly staged action, rich emotional through lines, the Cyclops and Circe scenes are among the best of Nolan's career.
Starting point is 00:08:31 There's a lot here. Let's just jump to the last little bit, because these are all, I've read through these before, these are all pretty much just saying that it's fantastic and that he gives love to the story and supernatural elements. They pretty much all say the same thing. The film tells the story of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, and his perilous journey home after the charge of war, exploring themes of heroism, loyalty, cunning, and the struggle against defined will. Includaioic episodes like his encounters with the Cyclops, Palafemus, the Nympho, the sirens, the sorceress, the sorceress, Jesus,
Starting point is 00:09:06 and all culminating in his reunion with his wife, Penelope. And we know it's starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Aynathaway Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, the Peter Nuongo, Charlishtarone, Benisafti, Elliot Page, John Laguzaamo, Hemesh Patel, Bir. Bill Irwin, John Bernthaw, Mia Gough, and Corey Hawkinson drops on the 17th. Okay. So that's everybody in the mama saying that they love this movie, which is exciting for me. Oh, where is Mike? Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Mikhail. He had to step out for a second. Oh, all right. Of course. Then I will hold it down myself. Wonderful. So just hearing all of that, I am. am personally excited. I don't think I had any fear that this was going to be an issue with Nolan,
Starting point is 00:09:56 considering that Nolan, I would argue, the only potential miss, and it was still a good film. Like, it was really well made as a film. It was just, I think, a little too confusing, would be Tenet. And there are people that absolutely love that movie. But to me, in all of this filmography, it's the only one that I've been like, I love you, man, but that's not for me. And I still need to give it a secondary watch. But that being said, you're coming up in Oppenheimer, you're coming off of your masterpiece where, you know, you won an Oscar, you won your actors Oscars.
Starting point is 00:10:30 Like, I am not surprised by any of this. And the fact that people wanted to immediately jump to, Oh, no, the world's on fire. You made the hell of Detroit a black woman, and you woke, Nolan, so you can't make a good movie anymore. That's just how I hear people imagine. Well, you know why, Ron. because I'm racist. That's why.
Starting point is 00:10:54 I was just going to say everybody, whatever, they're just going on and on about stuff. They sound like Kermit and Piggy to me. Here he is. All right. There we go. But yeah, Mike, I don't know how many of those. I need to go and change up the mic. If you want to do a mic check real quick, make sure you're good.
Starting point is 00:11:15 Can't hear you. Oh, you're muted on here. Let's try that. How about now? Say something? Okay. All right. Well, we'll give you another.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Yeah, still can't hear anything. I don't know. You've got it set to your, okay. Oh, there you go. There you go. Yeah, you can hear me. Yeah, I can hear you now. All right.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Okay. What's going on? Shit, okay. Well, you hear now? Were you able to hear? All good. I'll go on, Pippin. Did you hear most of those reviews or anything like that?
Starting point is 00:11:54 I did. Yeah, I was listening. Okay. So what are your initial thoughts, man? Because, you know, people were obviously freaking out about like, oh, man, don't know what this movie is going to be trashed? Has anyone ever really early tracking ever given bad reviews for him? Like, that's a great question. I don't ever remember a film coming up like, oh, Oppenheimer's in trouble.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Yeah. Like, it's, this is going to be an interesting test because of that generate, that group that's making fun of, you know, the casting and whatnot. but he's no one's going to be i don't know what is it um i wasn't going to say like uh not review proof but like yeah it's going to be nonsense i'm like he doesn't even pay attention to it he's like so yeah they're going to crash and burn this movie's going to make a billion dollars that that's the thing but then it's like i'm seeing now the talk is like oh perfectly curated reviewers that they sent on this thing and for what's what they're saying
Starting point is 00:12:52 now shut the fuck off Bro, I swear at this point, people just want to pick fights. That's the stage that we've gotten to in the internet, that people are just trying to find a reason to throw down, even if it doesn't make any sense. Because, like you said, one, he's never had any speculation of his movies doing bad or being a bad movie or anything else like that. And two, again, when you think about his most recent track record,
Starting point is 00:13:21 where even though a lot of people would argue his work, movie in recent memory is Tenet and that isn't even necessarily a bad movie but it's just a lot going on plus the drama with the pandemic and everything else like that even that people were still like hey man like it visually is
Starting point is 00:13:39 stunning and he clearly was trying to tell some sort of story here so like the idea that he was going to go from at worst like I think that's rated like 80% or something like that like by audiences and critics and all of a sudden he was just going to fall off a cliff doesn't make any goddamn sense
Starting point is 00:13:55 but you know I mean what are you most looking forward to out of this movie knowing that again I still haven't been able to get tickets like the movie is a month stretched out as far as people having bought tickets and I can't find it anywhere so what are you most looking forward to out of this thing now?
Starting point is 00:14:14 Fuck. Is that far out with movie? Like I haven't looked to get tickets like that's not a movie I need to see opening weekend but I love the book in high school when I read it. That was a big like one of the big one's that catcher in the rye great gatsby um i just you just know it's going to be a good i mean
Starting point is 00:14:34 it's hard i don't want to just say if there's any filmmaker out there today that kind of guarantees you're going to either watch something incredible or be moved by something it's him i mean i i would say spielberg is not really even that anymore it's they go they come in they come in ways like he and and nolan's hitting his kind of peak spielberg late 90s era where just everything is bangers right after one another. Like literally nonstop, like to the point where you say no one's name and you just have to automatically assume it's going to be a mega hit. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:07 At this point. Yeah. Which I'm so curious your thoughts on this man, because I was just having this conversation with somebody over the weekend about somebody that I know that was on the trip that like they watch movies, but they don't follow that stuff at all. They had no idea that like Will Smith had like garnered the nickname Mr. Summer Blockbuster back in the 90s.
Starting point is 00:15:29 They were like, hey, you just did like, you know, Independence Day that one time and like Bad Boys. I was like, and Men in Black and Wild Wild West and Ali and like and just every single year he owned the summer. Like, is there anybody else you can think of? Because I feel like Nolan has hit that stride. You say his name, assume a mega blockbuster. Is there anybody else that like kind of rings true like that to you anymore?
Starting point is 00:15:51 No. No. No. I mean, Tom Cruise is not bulletproof like that. Right. Right. Right, right. Like you said, Steven Spielberg. Yeah, Spielberg at one point.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Not Scorsese anymore. No, I think he's kind of, he threads that needle of like, I hate using the term like Artur filmmaker, but also blockbuster filmmaker. Like he doesn't make a $30 million movie that's going to come out in February. No, that's fair. I think the only one that comes to mind that has now kind of hit that stride would be, cooler after sinners. Because I think you could speculate like,
Starting point is 00:16:29 okay, well, you know, that First Creed did pretty well, but you're, you're banking off IP and it's like, okay, a Marvel movie, you kind of that, but I think once he proved with all of those films and then sinners did what it did, I think he is at least at the
Starting point is 00:16:46 door of that nowadays. Yeah. Just because I don't think he's really missed. Maybe as a producer, but not as a director. Well, let's see. Maybe Tarantino. Maybe. I think Peel was there for a little while.
Starting point is 00:17:01 Jordan Peel was there for a little while. But then it's, he kind of switched gears. It didn't seem like it seemed like his horror films were going to be like what everyone looked forward to. And then it just kind of stopped for a little while. So I don't know if that cut the momentum or what. I feel that.
Starting point is 00:17:17 I feel that. So yeah, either way, man. I know we know that we're both going to be there. Probably not opening weekend. Probably not the first couple of weeks we will see. if people cancel their tickets. But let us know a couple things. First of all, do you already have your tickets to Odyssey?
Starting point is 00:17:31 Are you planning on seeing it? And on top of that, what do you think about these first reviews? Does this get you hyped? Do you feel like they're overblown? Where do you sit on all of that? We want to know your thoughts, man. And be sure to send in those super chats again. You know, we read them in the second half of the show.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Mike and I are trying to dethrone Rokas, since he would be the only person that's gone so far. So help us out. You know, PLD will love that, man. Let us. Die! Yeah, yeah. No, exactly. I mean, I thought you, since Mike was here, you were just going to anyone to eat this.
Starting point is 00:18:02 I milk that teat. Got a milk that teat. Either way, thank you so much for watching the show, for sending those super chats. And thank you so much for checking out these two incredible sponsors. What's up, Factor, Rousias. Thank you so much, Two Factor and Rougiet for sponsoring the show. And please, y'all, if any of these sponsors speak to you, you want to support the show, go grab one of them man you saw the codes at the end of the thing they're also going to be in the
Starting point is 00:18:31 description that's how we keep the lights on that and you beautiful people and those superchets that you send in we appreciate that so much got some other stuff to plug really quick uh of course we are you know that the shmownown vault channel is a thing that's been popping off well the newest match is popping off on the channel today it is of course campia versus merle it is going down man i actually haven't seen this this one. So you will catch me on that when that drops later. So don't miss that on the Shmodeon Vault channel as well. But let's get back to it. We've got a couple other stories to cover with y'all today. And I think this one is pretty exciting. Did you see obsession, Mike? I did not.
Starting point is 00:19:19 I did not. Okay. But you obviously know about like the $750. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Or a budget and 400 million box office right okay so the lead actress uh neverette uh she is apparently talking to both ex-men at heat two directors following her breakout role in curry barker's insanely popular obsession a sub one million movie that just passed the four hundred million dollar box office worldwide this weekend actress in uh indie navarette is now in high demand it seems speaking with nylon magazine Navarette has revealed, she had a list of dream director she'd hoped to work with, including Ryan Googler, funny who just mentioned him, Greta Gerwig, Michael Mann, and Jake Shire. More importantly, though, she said she already had meetings with both Mann and Shriar recently.
Starting point is 00:20:07 The article also indicates she would be open to doing a Marvel film. As quickly led to speculations, the meetings have been about roles in the pair's upcoming projects, namely Man T-2 in Shrier's X-Men film, even as meetings between actors and filmmakers happen all the time and aren't necessarily for specific roles. Regarding Keith 2, Mann is reportedly. looking for someone to play a younger version of Ashley Judge Charlene Shearis, she, Hurlis, excuse me, from the original film. Neverette would seem an unlikely fit, but some of the project's casting choices have already
Starting point is 00:20:37 raised eyebrows. As for X-Men, there are a number of roles up for grabs for what's aiming to be a younger skewing take on the mutant characters. Over the weekend, a rumor emerged that Pop Princess Sabrina Carpenter was being eyed for a part with Emma Frost, speculation quickly following. All right, man. So, um, you hear that.
Starting point is 00:20:58 I, I, I, I have, I told Christian last week, I actually haven't seen heat. So I, there's only so much that I can, I know. I know. I know. I know. Jesus. Now, hey, people give me shit. They're like, you never saw Citizen Kane? I didn't see that. I didn't see Citizen. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:21:18 Not even, you've never seen heat? And the only reason at this point that I, the only reason at this point that I haven't, because I get that reaction more often than I should. Yeah. Because Christian was like, no, no, no, no, no, what are you to get it? What are my reactions? That's, yeah, that's a good point. Well, since then, he's like, we're going to hold off with the reactions for me.
Starting point is 00:21:37 I said, okay, now I'm just sitting here looking ass that still hasn't seen heat in 2026. But, uh, yeah. But yeah, that being said, I'm curious, do you like that casting for that character that they mentioned for Charlene, I guess it's a starting point. It's, I guess I haven't seen the actress, so I don't know. I mean, they are making some interesting choices in this film with what they're going with, but, you know, she could be, like, I could see it. Like, I think for me, the bigger story is, and it kind of goes back a little bit.
Starting point is 00:22:15 I don't know if you saw, like, I think it was the costume director of obsession made a big thing about not being paid and I'm just like okay first of all they were paid they were paid the rate they negotiated at like I can't speak for you Winston but myself I've been in situations where I've either donated my time and said all right I believe in this project so I'll work for free and if it makes some money we'll pay you know we'll look at it then or I like I was friends with the director and you needed to get off the get the project off its feet like these actors were paid now you're part of this movie that's this sensation.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Now the doors, that costume director, she's going to be getting offers from major studios and be making incredible money. Like that's the thing. And so it's always one of these people that aren't involved in the industry
Starting point is 00:23:01 that talk on social media. Like, how did this is bullshit? How dare they? This movie's making billion. Like, no one thought it was going to be this when they were first making it. They were probably scraping.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Craft service was probably, you know, some stuff from Costco. Thousand percent. And pizza. Like, and now, like the actor, she's meeting Michael Mann. She probably got paid a good decent amount, probably not sex, maybe, you know, three, four hundred dollars a day. But she was making money and it went to something. And now these doors are open and she's going to get offers and work forever because she's the girl from obsession.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Right. I was never worried about the actor. Never. Because from the standpoint of A, she was already a series regular before this anyway. Oh, I didn't even know. Okay. Come on now. on she was on Superman and Lois.
Starting point is 00:23:47 So she was, she already had some, some clout. Okay, so maybe she was making Sags scale on this one. Maybe you're a Saga, ultra low rate. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:23:57 probably on the ultra low side. Yeah. I was less worried about the actors. I understood some of the, of the crew, like the below the line folks, from the standpoint of where you get asked to then wear the different hats and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:24:09 But I, but I, but I, I think two things can be true at the same time. I think that, A, working on the film, that's exactly where you negotiate a contract of, yes, I'll work for this rate, but if we blah, blah, blah, then a bonus comes from whatever. So I've done plenty of films where it's either I will donate my time or it specifically is ultra low deferred payment. So it is, yes, it's free, but if it sells, then you get whatever.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Yeah. So that's that on that half. And then I can also believe on the other half of this thing, knowing that this kid has made untold riches. I was doing some math with somebody where like if he even just took a million dollars to just give to the crew, you could pay everybody a $10,000 bonus and that would genuinely be a very...
Starting point is 00:24:52 Now that's a whole other conversation. Yeah. But these people thinking that the filmmaker, that the crew and the actors are getting screwed over and he's, you know, they signed up for what they signed up for and anyone that gets involved in a project does. And it's, you know...
Starting point is 00:25:07 Yeah. And that's... So it's one of those things where like I genuinely feel like there is no obligation to do anything, but there would be like that's good karma to say, hey, let me do this. That's a whole other topic. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:25:24 That's a whole other thing. Yeah. So all that being said, but I'm happy for this actress, and I think just having seen the movie and thinking where she would fit well with X-Men, you know, I could totally see her I'm surprised that they're talking about Sabrina Carpenter for Emma Frost personally.
Starting point is 00:25:47 I think Sabrina Carpenter would be better as like say, Dazzler knowing that she is a pop star on top of that. Like that seems like a better connect. So then maybe putting Nehorette as a little bit out there character, but have her play like Boom Boom. You remember Boom Boom from X-Men? Yeah, X-Force and all that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I think that she would fit pretty well just thinking about kind of her personality. Yeah. It sounds like most likely Sadie Sink is indeed Gene, so like I wouldn't even think of her going that way, but she's her manic energy that she shows an obsession. I'm just trying to like apply it to a cast member. And I'm thinking, and that's probably where I think of off the off rip. Yeah. But because of the different personalities, if there is a level of wanting to tie into that even with Mystique and her ability to shape shift, I think that that could also be an interesting fit for her too. Life really does move at like 175 miles an hour, I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:26:43 It's like the big weeks coming up. It just, it's so stressful. It can be between whether it's work, relationship, everything else that you got going on your plate. You want to know that you can show up when it counts. And that includes it's the bedroom, guys. If things aren't working out the way that they used to, you don't have to accept it. So Rougiette told you a million times about Rougiette.

Starting point is 00:29:27 You know how much I love them. Get them. You'll be happy. Okay. I don't know, I don't really see her as a rogue, but again, the personality element with rogue than taking on, you know, people's affections and all that kind of stuff. Yeah. Just because of her manic stuff that she did an obsession.
Starting point is 00:29:44 But I don't know. It'll be interesting to see, man, what ends up happening. And I'm really happy for. That's the kind of dream shit that you hope, that you do that one movie that all of a sudden, everybody's paying attention to you after that. Yeah. I know we both know about that how that project will give you some heat, no pun intended, man. So we want to know what y'all think, man.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Let us know if you are excited for Niveret and who you think she should play. and X-Men and Heat 2, if that's really coming true. Any of your thoughts you have on that, let us know. What did PLD say? PLD said weird twist for Citi-Sink. Bradd-Water-Water-Waterpom confirmed that Ciddy Sync will feature an X-Men 97. X-Men 97 already has a Gene Gray. Could she be Rachel Summers?
Starting point is 00:30:21 Now, that... We're going to take a quick detour, Mike. Now, that could be interesting. What do you think? Because obviously it has not been announced to Sadie is directly. We just know that, like, she is a redhead in the movie, and people have been like, well, then it sounds like she's Gene. But now this whole thing that she's maybe in 97, if she is Rachel Summers and known,
Starting point is 00:30:44 have you been watching season two of 97? I have not started yet, no. Okay. So we do, but I know you're a big X-Men guy, right? I like the X-Men, yeah. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I've heard that the Sadie Sink is Gene Gray, but that to me makes no sense in the story. But what do I know?
Starting point is 00:31:03 I don't know anything about who's whatnot. And now are people going to be disappointed? pointed it turns out she's not it and she's just some random new made-up character. Right, right, right, right, right. You know. I mean, the Rachel Summers of it all is interesting because we did get Lady of Skani in the first three episodes of season two. And Lady of Scotty being obviously the future version of Rachel kind of hanging out. So that could be really interesting.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I have a feeling in the movies they're going to not go as hard in the paint with the characters. I think they're going to keep it. keep the popular people up front and get that stuff. No, I mean, that makes complete sense. I wouldn't be surprised by that at all. The only reason I would think, even though they're not trying to do the homework anymore, is with 97 being that popular,
Starting point is 00:31:53 if they feel like they could easily go, that one, you see that one that we did right there? That's who she is. Like, I can maybe see that, but I agree with you. I think it makes more sense for her to be one of the main, heavy hitters to start off instead of trying to pull to their character. Well, let us know what y'all are thinking, man, about obsession, about Sadie Sinkin there,
Starting point is 00:32:14 about her potentially being Rachel Summers, all of that kind of stuff. We want to know where your thoughts are out and keep sitting in those super chats. You have questions for Mike and myself. I want to support us, remember, the way that this works nowadays is it's not just the number of super chats. It is how much they are worse. So if you want to see POD laugh and Rok his face,
Starting point is 00:32:32 send him in, man. Let us know that you're sending. love and all of that kind of stuff. Oh, Christian's, Christian has got a quick split second, and he says she's perfect for Rogue. That's, that was, and it thinks too small for Mystique. That's fair. I think that, I think that she could be a really, really interesting Rogue, but she's got to be able to hit that accent. That's the main thing, is knowing if she can hit the accent work. So, let's go into this next story. We've got,
Starting point is 00:33:00 the 4th of July box office was just do-to-water. No one was a winner on the 4th of July weekend box office. Universal's minions and monsters came in far behind projections domestically at 36 million for the three-day and 61 million for the five-day. It's by far the lowest start for the franchise, the three-day a full 20 million below the 56 million debut of the first despicable meet. The five-day was exactly
Starting point is 00:33:29 half what both minions the rise of grew and Despickelumee 4 scored in 2022 and 2024 respectively with the playing being put on audience fatigue with the franchise. Saving its bacon is international which scored 86 million over the three-day weekend and brought the film's worldwide total
Starting point is 00:33:46 to 159.8 million by the end of Sunday. No one is saving Supergirl. The film had an utterly pitiful 77% decline in its second weekend with 8.6 million for the three-day a bigger drop than Morbius 74%, but less than either the Marvel's, 78%, and Joker Folly Adieu, 81%. It's earned 99.5 million globally to date. Losses for the film were calculated at 100 to 120 million
Starting point is 00:34:13 should it gross 200 million worldwide. The chances of it doing even that, though, are getting slim. Young Washington was a winner, though boisterous estimates of 20.8 million for Cibu have now been revised down to 19.3 million after a softer than expect. expected Sunday turnout, it's still a win for Angel Studios. Certainly falling flat at its face was Jackass Best and Last, which saw a 2.7 million this weekend, a 68% decline. It now stands at 20 million worldwide and looks certain to live up to its title, as it's likely going to be the lowest grossing installment of the five films.
Starting point is 00:34:50 All right. What do you think, Mike? Is the world on fire, or is it just, look, it was a Fourth of July and the economy's down and the World Cup was on. Like, who cares right now? Yeah, man. I think summer 2026 is going to be not in the records for biggest ones of all time.
Starting point is 00:35:09 We've got Oppenheimer and Spider-Man left. Both will be billions. But that's not enough to say, honesty, I'm sorry. What did I say? You said, you said Oppenheimer. There you go. The Big Nolan one.
Starting point is 00:35:21 There you go. What else is left? Like, I don't know. And I'm saying that some of this kind of in the movie verse, but not, I don't do screeners and I don't get that kind of thing. So I'm more of like, what's all out there? What's on social media? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:37 So Oppenheimer and Spider-Man and, you know, what does that teach studios? They want more, more Spidey and Nolan. So. And things like obsession, some original stories that come out of, that came out of nowhere. Like, you can't, you can't plan on that thing. You can't, it just hit the zeitgeist. You can't, but I think what,
Starting point is 00:35:57 what it did do is because backrooms did well, I think back to obviously sinners last year did exceptionally well. I'm trying to think there was another big, the second one didn't do quite as good, I think, because they were rushed the film,
Starting point is 00:36:12 but like the Five Night Nights at Freddy's film that came out a couple years ago that also dominated at the box office. I think what we're seeing is there is still place, obviously, for your major marquee names and for your IP franchises to do what they do. But there has been a lot of love shown for either directors or actors themselves
Starting point is 00:36:37 branching out or newcomers on the scene branching out. And we get to see these new stories we haven't heard. Like it is people are showing that if you give them something to chew on, they're going to do it. But all of this stuff that was here was a lot of franchise stuff that some is doing well and some of it, not so much, because even Toy Story, which was dominating itself, didn't do so hot this weekend.
Starting point is 00:37:00 But even then, like, I mean, guys, I see in the chat, everyone's listing the movies. I'm just saying summer or not, I know Dune and Doomsday and Street Fighter. I know that. I'm just talking like the next month and a half.
Starting point is 00:37:14 But yeah, I don't know, man. Like, World Cup, that's a big one. That's a big, but I'll say this. I worked all weekend in the theme park, Universal,
Starting point is 00:37:22 and we were slow. But, But the Tuesday, Wednesday before this weekend seemed busier than it was on Friday and Saturday. So I don't really feel, I mean, I know the economy is not the greatest right now. And I know that's kind of hurting everything. But we were busy the week before or busier. It just seemed really weird at the park this weekend. I got to believe.
Starting point is 00:37:44 So I don't, I don't, maybe it's the World Cup. Maybe that's really just kind of taking over. I honestly got to believe that when you throw in, it was America's 250th. The World Cup was happening. Yeah. People were just more, they were tuned in to different things this summer. Yeah, and I think that there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever, especially because, like, not that these movies are going to potentially instantly bounce back this coming weekend, but I would be curious to see if the box office itself regulates back to something a little bit more normal this weekend. It was just, hey, it was a big holiday weekend and games were on that people cared about.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Because they've even reported, and part of that probably is because we're the host country and because the U.S. was doing well. until they got obliterated last night. People have seen more attached to this tournament this time, like more than we've seen in a while. Like it broke some viewing records, actually. Well, now here's an interesting thing I didn't think about. Like, I don't know if it's over right now, but I know that there was like this massive heat wave.
Starting point is 00:38:43 Oh, that too. But wouldn't you go indoors for that? Wouldn't you want to go to a movie? That should have helped it. That is 100% fair. But I can also see a world where if, If it's this busy in the country with this many people here for the World Cup or visiting or whatever and it's hot, you might be like, I'm a stay my ass home. I don't want to deal with the crowds.
Starting point is 00:39:04 It could be that. Yeah. I don't want to do that. Like I get when they say, oh, we, like, it's happened in the past where they've had a massive blizzard that whites out the East Coast, movie box office goes down because you're not going. But when it's hot, you know, but then again, everyone in the East Coast, it's not like L.A. where 50-50 you have air condition or not. Right, right, right, right, right. And you want to get out. But who knows?
Starting point is 00:39:26 I don't know. It's hard to say because, like, I, I know that Christian, at least for his screenings, goes in pretty far. Like, he has to leave where his house is out and go into the city. And I know that there's been some people in the audience being like, I only go to like a movie a month because I have to traverse so far to get to a theater. I know for us, like, because you're also up in the valley area, right? Yeah, yeah, I live like, where I'm like extra Warner Brothers.
Starting point is 00:39:50 The fact, the fact that like that area, we're, Collider used to be there are three movie theaters within walking distance of each other and whatnot. It's always been like a little easier for us in that regard. So I know sometimes I get a little skewed myself. Yeah, that's true. But yeah. Oh, Christian texts me. He said also weapons is another like newer film in like kind of an independent.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Is that this year or last year? That was last year because Madigan won. Was it already? Yeah. Yeah, she did. Madigan won in February or March whenever the Oscars were. So well, that was, I mean, that was well, hold on a second. I mean, I wouldn't say the same thing because Cougar wanted weapons.
Starting point is 00:40:28 He did. And he didn't he did. Peel, Peel wanted it. He, uh, he fired a lot of his team for not, because he didn't get it. So there was the buzz already about that film of like, this is going to be special. Yeah, absolutely. So. So.
Starting point is 00:40:41 But either way, man, people, people want that new new. Uh, that is definitely what it is. And they also want air conditioning areas, apparently so. They're trying to keep it. oh, what do you think? Do you think that this is a horrible sign for the rest of the summer box office? Or do you think it's like, hey, man,
Starting point is 00:40:57 holiday weekend and a worldwide tournament? Like, okay, ish happens. Let us know, send in those super chats, man, continue to support the show. We really, really appreciate it. POD, we know Ed Harris was in weapons. Relax. Bro, that was not the conversation.
Starting point is 00:41:14 It was not about Ed Harris. Like, go over and stroke your Ed Harris poster for a couple minutes and leave the rest of us alone. Let's get to our next story. We've got to talk about how Netflix is also having a little bit of an issue. They are struggling to get people to tune into season twos. They're having 30 to 70% drops. Now, a new report at Bloomberg indicates that the streaming giant Netflix is having difficulty keeping its viewers around for second seasons.
Starting point is 00:41:46 The study has looked at a number of major shows that premiered in recent years and scored. renewals with many going on to third seasons. They claim that within the first four weeks of a second season's release, shows saw drops of first to second season viewership ranging from 30 to 70%. The series that has had the smallest drop in the sample was a live action one piece, which saw it lose just over 30% of its audience from the first season to the second season. Faring worse were the night agent running point and the four seasons, which all fell 50%
Starting point is 00:42:20 while beef plummeted 70%. In addition, that just premiered second season of the live action Avatar The Last Airburner saw a drop of more than 60% in its first week compared to the first week of its first season. Netflix shows have almost always historically delivered their biggest ratings in their first season, very different for broadcast TV,
Starting point is 00:42:39 which generally peaks in the middle of their runs, seasons three to four. The report claims this sharp drop is a major source of concern for the company, which has been studying its data to figure out why it's been happening. Oh, I have thoughts. I have a lot of thoughts. Online reaction has been swift,
Starting point is 00:42:53 with the easy majority of the blame going to the long two to three year gaps between the seasons for the series, that is a major part of it. Well, Netflix remains the market leader by a long margin. The amount of time customers spent watching Netflix last year
Starting point is 00:43:05 grew less than 2% last year, and that's despite high profile hits like the endings of Squid Game and Stranger Things. Okay, I definitely have so many feelings as to why this is happening. I think it's one of the reasons that our industry is dying. But I defer to you first, Mike, as far as what do you think is causing Netflix to have such harsh drops in their second seasons for shit?
Starting point is 00:43:31 Well, I mean, so it's dropping off after the once the second season airs or between the first and the second? Between the first and the second. So let's say they had, you know, 100 million. They're losing anywhere from 30 to 70 million each. Because you're taking three years. put the damn thing out. Like, I love, like, for me, like, I'm trying to think of like what I watch enough to it's, for me, it was the Splinter Cell animated.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Like, they, first of all, it took them five years from the time it announced to the time it aired. Then they just unceremoniously dropped it. But it got great reviews. And as they said, is it the day it dropped, it said, we've already greenlit season two. It's already in production. But like, we're already a year out. It's animated.
Starting point is 00:44:14 So is it going to take two or three more years? Like, I'm going to watch it. But like, you hit these things. you drop them all at once so you don't even spread it out over three months you spread it out over a weekend people watch it so you've got eight six eight episodes you watch it all and then i got to wait three years yep to go back like tv is tv we got a new season every year you can count on it you could sit your watch by it and you waited for it now we're you don't know when it's coming back that's the problem hey man you stole my thunder you just sitting in the park i wanted you to go first
Starting point is 00:44:45 because i was going to take a guess you sound like you knew but i was just like it's all good I'm not upset about it, but yes, everything you just said is, you hit every point and base I was, I was going to get to is just that, A, exactly that. Why am I waiting two to three years to come back to something? So much has happened in that time. And when you consider the social media world that we're in now and your attention span has gone in 24 hours, I don't have time for that.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Right. Throw in on top of that. You only gave me six to eight episodes to sit with these characters. and then I'm, again, supposed to somehow retain that information for two to three years. It's kind of crazy when your seasons, at bare minimum, if you got like a winter premiere on network TV, that was at least 13. But you typically were in that 20 to 24 range. Yeah, you're doing 22, 24 episodes, spread out over a year. Then you waited the summer and you came back in the fall with another one.
Starting point is 00:45:40 Like, there was a reason that network television worked for as long as it did because it's just worked. It absolutely worked and it gave you the opportunity. That's why you hear when people sitcoms end and things like that, they're in tears because they're like, I've been with these characters for the last six years and we've been through every sort of situation together. And now they're gone. That's why people are obviously upset that there aren't more comedies on TV, but something like an Abbott really has gripped so many people because it still has that network of 18 to 22-ish episode format and we get to be with those characters. Do you think there's ever going to be a reckoning where people are just like the streamers like, yeah, we fucked up because it's like they did the binge model. They did the six, eight episodes.
Starting point is 00:46:29 They got rid of commercials. But now they're bringing commercials back. Right. We got every like I watched. I went back and rewatch the Netflix, He Man animated show, Kevin Smith. I wanted to watch that again. So I saw it when it first came out. And they dropped those pretty, it took a couple of.
Starting point is 00:46:46 years but and then i was like wait a minute i don't remember commercials in these things it's like oh yeah back then four years ago when it first came out they didn't have ads on Netflix and now i don't buy the i don't do that non-ad thing because i don't usually watch Netflix that much and i'm like oh watching ads again great it's just like are they ever going to go yeah be fucked up we made some money for a while but commercials there was a reason we had commercials in 22 episodes and they took a year so let's go back to that yeah yeah i don't know if we ever will but Well, see, this is the thing. It's so funny because somebody in the audience just said,
Starting point is 00:47:19 I think 10 to 12 is a good range for me, at least. I don't like 20-plus episodes seasons for the most part. Well, that's, I mean, that's a good point because there were a lot of filler episodes and shows that ran that long. You had to, but because of the deals you had worked out with the networks and the actors. But. But see, that's where the only reason why I slightly disagree with that sentiment of the eighth of it is, again, And it wasn't like 22, and it was 22 weeks in a row.
Starting point is 00:47:49 It was literally your fall season, half of the season, and your winter half. So it's like, okay, the show shows up in September. It's done by the first week of December. And there was probably a break in there for a holiday or something else. And then you go to the winter, and it starts probably mid to late January, and it's done by end of April, early May. So again, it makes me think about what Stranger Things kind of decided to do and give you a part one in a part two. The only problem there is I believe the Stranger Things model. It was only
Starting point is 00:48:18 what, like five episodes per. So 10 total. I think if you wanted to split the difference ago, you got 10 in the fall and 10 in the winter, which is what a lot of network is doing now. Like, I want to say Abbott is hitting about 20 episodes. 9-1-1 hits about 20 episodes. I think that's the move. Yeah, but also think about like, actually, I probably am wrong in this. Did Netflix back when they did Daredevil and the Marvel, were those weekly? That's a great question. I don't remember binging them unless I only did two or three at a time because I wanted to wait and like savor it. But I thought, I mean, I thought it was like 13 episodes and weekly.
Starting point is 00:48:58 But I could be. I mean, again, it was 10 years ago. So maybe it was, but maybe I'm just remembering it wrong. But also another thing that we got to get in with this. It did it. It dropped entire seasons. Now, yeah, then I purposely only watched like one or two a night. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Over. I'd watch like one or two a week because I wanted that to stretch forever. But it makes him a good point because I look at, um, have you seen Spider-Man noir? Yeah. Now, I've not watched. I've got, I've got two episodes left. I've not watched it yet, but I want to watch it. People are raving about it.
Starting point is 00:49:34 No one's talking about it. It's done. This incredible show because they binge modeled it. People talked about it for that night and the weekend and no one talks about it anymore. But we got a Spider-Man War movie, a TV show. It's really great, black and white and in color, and no one's talking about it. Like, how does that sustainable? I don't think it is.
Starting point is 00:49:54 And I know that there's a lot of people that will be like, binge model, perfect. Don't you touch my binge model. And I'm kind of of the mindset, to be honest with you. I think there are plenty of things that my parents wouldn't let me do and would yell at me about. And I would be mad at the moment, but they were ultimately correct in just what is better for me as, like a human. There's been so many studies that have come out that doing a binge model of stuff
Starting point is 00:50:19 is actually the worst way to do it. It's like cramming for a test. You're good for the test. That information is fully gone after that test is over and the pressure is off. And so I was just going to say, I think the way to do it is if you either, A, you can do the little chunk like,
Starting point is 00:50:34 here's three episodes, here's two episodes, here's two episodes, here's two episodes. Space it out completely weekly. And then when it's over, you do the advertisement. And for all you binge folks, man, It's all out now. So go watch the entire thing.
Starting point is 00:50:46 That's, I mean, that's what I did with the He-Man now, like this past weekend. I watched, there was three seasons in the 15 episodes. I binged them all, like, in two days. But, like, the Batman, you played the James Bond video game. Are you a video game guy? Not yet, man. So it is so good. And people are like, when at first, before it came out, they're like, oh, the runtime is only 15 to 20 hours.
Starting point is 00:51:11 That's bullshit. And I'm playing it. I'm not even halfway through and I'm like 24 hours into it because I'm taking my time with it. Like, I'm doing, I'm doing all the missions. I'm like making, I'm doing all the avenues you can do.
Starting point is 00:51:25 Like I'm not, if you want to start from point A to the end of the game and just rush through the game, you can do that and you're done in one day. Like, what's the point of that? Binging like, what does that get you? Like, I don't,
Starting point is 00:51:37 I don't understand that. Like, because you're done with it. what is get? And again, that wasn't me saying that earlier in any way trying to be patronizing or nothing like that,
Starting point is 00:51:48 but the idea of we've genuinely killed our attention spans. So it's one of those situations where we take in information so rapidly and you're looking for the next dopamine hit, genuinely binge watching is not good for us because we cannot hold our attention
Starting point is 00:52:04 on stuff long enough and enjoy what we're, like enjoy this meal. We have treated everything like fast food now. So what might be, concern is, is that, again, it is a mix of, you have given me shorter seasons, you are making me wait two to three years. Why do I care about those characters anymore? And then you shove it all in my face at the same time. I devour it and I don't have time to process it. It doesn't sit
Starting point is 00:52:26 with me. It just disappears. And I think all of that collectively is just draining the life out of people wanting to stick around. Because if you think about it, the shows that maybe had some version of that before but have survived like house of the dragon in my opinion didn't have a great season too but look at the bounce back that's happening because yes you took a long time to give us this next season but you made stellar episodes and you're making us wait each week to really live in it um even euphoria that people were saying wasn't as good as those first two seasons had heat on it because it was still releasing each week so that you still had people being like what the hell is going on with this whole thing.
Starting point is 00:53:11 Right. I mean, you built those with, you know, back in the, I don't, I say back in the day, but the water cooler moments, the next day you're at work talking your friends about it. You weren't like, oh, did you remember in episode three? Which one was that? I think it was in episode seven, though. I don't know. I watched them all at once, so I can't remember which episode it was in.
Starting point is 00:53:26 But it was there. Right, right, right, right. Just like, no, like, but again, there's a whole generation that's brought up on this. So who's watching TV more? So I don't have an answer. I personally don't binge, so I've kind of piece them out over several weeks, but that's just me. And this, and Christian is reiterating what we were saying as well. Benj is still possible if you do that.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Look at this. He doesn't want to be here. He doesn't get to fucking chime in. Get rid of him. He doesn't get to be here. Fuck off. Shut off, bitch. Right now.
Starting point is 00:54:02 All these guys, I'm going to text them. Oh, dude. This is what I was waiting for. I was just waiting. I was waiting for something to come in out. But PLD, real talk. Ask him, man. Control your bitch.
Starting point is 00:54:19 It's like, control your bitch, PLD. Shime in and I like that shit. He's probably in the movie theater right now watching us. He's like, all right. Instead of watching whatever the movie is. Midge isn't, all right, I can say binge. He doesn't think a binge model can work.
Starting point is 00:54:36 It can work. I'll show him. Oh, man, oh, man, oh, man, oh, man. All right. So, all that being said, please keep sitting in those super chats. Let us know what you're thinking about. What is causing this plague of season twos on streamers not holding up? Let us know your opinion where you're at.
Starting point is 00:54:56 You like to binge. You like to watch a week by week. Where do you sit? We got one more story. Then we'll do a little bit of plugging. And then we'll answer all of those questions. So let's hop into it really quick. And it is that Marvel Studios is rumored to be eyeing former Sergeant Rock director to helm the future of future MCU project is Josh Wilding from comic book movie.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Marvel Studios has brought many unexpected filmmakers to the MCU over the years with admittedly mixed results. And it sounds like the next acclaimed director to the studio has its site set on is Luca Guadaginio. Sure. According to Insider, My Time to Shine Hello. Marvel Studios is eyeing Luca to helm a future project. There's no word on what he's been eyed for. And as always, with rumors like this, nothing is official until either Marvel or Luca confirms it.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Still, this is undeniably intriguing. While Luca isn't typically associated with superhero blockbusters, his work on movies like Call Me By Your Name, Susperia, Bones and All, Challenges, and After the Hunt, has seen him receive plenty of critical acclaim. Of course, this isn't the first time that Luca has come close to making his mark on the comic book movie genre. He was previously attached to helm a Sergeant Rock movie for DC Studios with Colin Farrell,
Starting point is 00:56:14 reportedly set to play the legendary World War II hero. However, despite months of development, the product ultimately failed to move forward after supposed scheduling and production issues related to the weather. In reality, he clashed with DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn. While with Luca no longer attached to Sergeant Rock, he's been left free to explore opportunities elsewhere. If the rumor is correct, that's the MCU. The Marvel Studios has been afraid to hand the keys to filmmakers with distinctive creative voices, Oscar-winning director, Chloe Zhao, brought her unique style to The Eternal's, while Ron Kluke's talents turned Black Panther and one of the MCU's most acclaimed entries.
Starting point is 00:56:51 More recently, Jake Shrier earned widespread praise for Thunderbolts and has since found himself tasked with X-Men. Whether Lukut would have had his desired level of creative freedom is another matter, the filmmaker has built his reputation on a deeply personal, a tour-driven projects and Marvel Studios. Well, we've heard a few times that they've told directors not to worry about action scenes, for example, because that's something the studio is happy to take charge of. Still, with Marvel Studios eager to get back to quality over quantity, this hiring could be another sign that Kevin Feige is looking to bring some acclaim directors to the MCU who are capable of delivering something audiences haven't seen before.
Starting point is 00:57:29 As for which Marvel property, would best suit Lucas sensibilities? There's no shortage of possibilities, especially as we head into what many fans believe will be the Mutant Saga. Would you like to see Luca directed MCU movie as always? Don't worry about them. Send in your super chats to us. Let us know what you think about all that. But Mike,
Starting point is 00:57:49 yeah. One, do you know how to pronounce the director's last name? Because you saw I just started calling him Luca. Oh, God. Luca Guadena, no. Something like that. I gave up very quickly. Hey, with a name like my last name,
Starting point is 00:58:02 I got a pass because people must pronounce mine all the time. and I don't care. You know, people, people get really upset when you don't pronounce their name, right? You remember people like that? They're like, it's so and so. I'm like, I don't give a shit what you mispronounce. I'm like, you're addressing me as a person. Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:22 Fuck, man. People are like, oh, it's pronounced. Blah, blah, blah. I was like, it's a fucking name. That has happened to me in that and what makes me laugh. People have said your name wrong? Yeah, so very specifically. I went by Alex my whole kind of life growing up.
Starting point is 00:58:38 My dad named me Winston. I didn't have a good relationship with my dad until I became an adult, so I didn't really F with the name at all. And in high school, I started being called, people instead of calling me Alex were calling me Amar, short for Alex Marshall. So I'm like,
Starting point is 00:58:51 oh, and that just became like a regular thing. So I get to college and people are calling me Amar, and I would have pretentious people being like, it's pronounced Amar, and I don't know why you capitalize the em. I was like, because it's a nickname,
Starting point is 00:59:03 that's short for Alex Marshall, bitch, as literally a Mar. What the fuck? Don't tell me how to... People are mad about your own name? They're like, oh, it actually has Indian relevance. It's Amar, and you're not... I'm like, again, suck the back part of my... Because that is not how you pronounce it.
Starting point is 00:59:21 I have never said it that way. You're not going to tell me how to do with this. So yes, people love to get real... How to pronounce your own name. Shut off, bitch! That's right. Literally. All that being said, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:59:35 Like, I've seen, call me by your name, so I'm familiar with the director. Well, this is the director that just tried to put out an AI movie. Oh, no. That's his thing. I want, was Garfield in it maybe? And no studio wanted it. And then they got picked up so else. So I was like, I don't know his filmography before that.
Starting point is 00:59:53 But when he came up, when he was attached to Sergeant Rock, I was always kind of like, that's an interesting choice, Sergeant Rock. But okay. You know, but then he did this. stuff so I'm like I don't care what he does he did he just put out I don't care I don't care I don't care where he goes what he does I'm not going to watch it it's like we're making choices in this world and that's a choice and there are there are filmmakers that are kind of embracing it and and my I have a very hard stance against AI like and I I have chat GPT on my phone like I have the app but like there's some there's great uses for it and and stuff that
Starting point is 01:00:31 you know, I find myself using it, but not to create art. Not like, if you needed to proofread a letter, you're sending, you know, business letter, it proofreads really good. And, you know, if you've got a question about like, hey, I need to do a three-day full-body split workout. I'm 40 years old. These are the equipment that I have in my gym. Create a workout for me.
Starting point is 01:00:55 It's pretty damn cool. I think that that is great. Hell. But a movie you're doing. The minor things that I would even allow, like in a movie we were talking about this last week, I have a buddy of mine who's an editor who was for like a bunch of major features. And he was telling me one of the things they've been doing for a couple of years. And the only thing he's been comfortable with is there'll be scenarios where like they've shot,
Starting point is 01:01:18 they've done to the editing bay, they come back and they go shit. We actually do some reshoot some pickups. And they would use just to quickly mock up. They would quickly mock up what they want from the reshoot. with AI and then actually go film it and scrap all of that just to give them a means to quickly get set up to get into reshoots but nothing ever sees the light of day as far as actually part of the film just as like a placeholder hey can I interrupt real quick yeah what's up the Luca movie is not using AI it's a movie about AI oh oh okay well don't I look like a fucking
Starting point is 01:01:53 idiot then here's a sound clip for you oh shit do I look fucking stupid Holy shit. So wait a minute. So then why was the big kerfuffle about it not being picked up and studios didn't want it? Are we sure on this PLD? Christian, for what is that? Mike, the movie is it to you know. You disgust me.
Starting point is 01:02:23 Go on. Whoops. That's right. That's my own ignorance. I'll own into that. There you go, Harlap. I'll own into it. Why is he still fucking watching?
Starting point is 01:02:33 Don't watch a premiere, you dickhead. That's my own ignorance. What the hell are you talking about? Who are you talking to? I will say this much, even if he was incorrect about the movie and it using it as a whole, I think that his stances of not using AI to make art still ring true. Yeah, my stance is still the same. Yeah, I got you, bro.
Starting point is 01:02:55 Okay, so here's a point then. Why? Why is he having a hard time with it then? Is it because like no studio wanted it? And it couldn't get picked up and then it got picked up. And that was the big. And again, I'm just going, I'm not a Harloff where movies, like, that's what I do for a living, like studying what's happening and what's coming.
Starting point is 01:03:14 I mean, like, within the pipe being, you know, worked on. Like, I see through social media and Twitter and Instagram, like, the news stories about a movie. Like, all I saw was no one wants Luca Guadino's AI movie. Yeah. Won't get picked up. And everyone's celebrating that. So I'm like, oh, studios realize they don't want the. AI. So it looks like what ended up happening. And this is where the drama, so this probably
Starting point is 01:03:37 where it got lost in the sauce. So Amazon MGM Studios was the original distributor worldwide and first reported in 2026 to have been aiming to release the film in the United States in early 27 before ultimately opting to drop the film entirely. The move received scrutiny for happening several days after Amazon signed a $50 billion deal with Open AI. The reasons for the withdrawal were unspecified, but a report by variety of speculating. that a possible reason could be the film's unsympathetic portrayal of Altman and Musk. So by June of 2026, producers were shopping the production to other distributors, while the film was in its last stages of post-production.
Starting point is 01:04:14 According to a report by the New York Times, Luca was shocked by the decision, as Amazon had been supportive of the film up until that point, the film was subsequently screened for other potential distributors, including 824 Focus, Netflix, Neon, and Warner Brothers Clockwork. Now, well, here's the thing. Now, this is a very good point to show you, of clickbait headlines that like people like me that just I see the headline I don't go into the article like if a movie's if the movie's anti-AI of course Amazon that just bought a big chunk AI doesn't want to do like or promote if they just bought you know how much whatever they said about open AI and now this movie's going to come up being anti-AI I can see where that's exactly against their model and if it's Musk like okay so yeah I'm clearly ignorant yeah not to be the first here he comes again what's he saying now this time he just said the other thing too is it's a
Starting point is 01:05:02 his last movie apparently ate shit as well. So I think it's a combo of both. Most of these studios have set up with these deals because the last little bit that this says here, every studio but neon has ultimately passed on the film with a movie also named as a prospective buyer. So yeah, I think the issue is twofold. I think it's probably that Luca's last film didn't do so hot
Starting point is 01:05:23 and all the studios leaning into. Okay, his last film was challengers. I thought everyone loved that movie. critically it didn't do very well at the box office to my knowledge okay but people love that movie let's see it was challengers box office zendaya right right right yeah the the tennis movie yeah it but it only did it did 96 million i mean what it probably what did they cost like what $14 that's a great question the the budget was 55 so they almost doubled it it almost but i think that was the thing when you put zandah in the way they they marketed it they
Starting point is 01:06:05 made it seem like it was going to blow up um yeah but i'm just saying like but anyone that's seen it people love it i i you know there's a lot involved bottom line is i'm an idiot uh for my stance on that but also it goes to show you if you're just scrolling social media and you just see headlines of articles because they are these clickbaity headlines i get here's a big thing i've been getting caught in a lot. His last one was after the hunt after that. Actually, no one. Oh, and after the hunt didn't do very well.
Starting point is 01:06:35 Okay, that's probably the one he's talking about that. Okay, yeah. But like it goes to show you, there's been a lot of times I'll be scrolling and I'll zoom scroll and see these shitty DC attacking headlines, but then you click on the article and it's actually supporting, like there, I saw a couple about James Gunn getting rid of him for, because of Supergirl, but then you click the article, you read it and it's like, oh, no, this whole article supports James Gunn, but they got me with the clickbait headline. That's like that's that's journalism. You got to get people in and and when I see AI,
Starting point is 01:07:05 I instantly tune out. So I just try not to, but clearly that is my fault. You can clip that out Harloff that I'm saying I'm wrong. I'm an idiot for thinking, you know, but. Hey man, look. What I have to do though is I have to give you props because in this age that we're in, most people will find another way to pivot and not be wrong. Instead of admitting like, you know what, I fucked up. It just be like, see, what the problem is, you didn't understand my interpretation of what this thing. You could try to drag your feet on some shit. And for that reason, you're racist. That's why my take.
Starting point is 01:07:39 Well, you know me, Winston. You know me, Winston. Why? Because I'm racist. I thought it was about AI. Well, you know why, Roxy? Because I'm racist. That's why.
Starting point is 01:07:51 I love, but I don't say this. I have the chat going on the side here. No one was like, hey, Mike, it's not about AI. Wrong! wrong they were but they were all screaming it at the same time so it actually got washed away very quickly I went back
Starting point is 01:08:08 when I was starting to scroll for the articles on it and I was like oh shit they were all like no well guys it's never a boring day when I'm on you disgust me go on you know what you should do you should send in supertouch to tell us
Starting point is 01:08:27 how wrong Mike was That will really get him. He'll really get it when you go, hey, Mike, it wasn't a day I movie that was bad. It was a day I movie that was good. You should send that as a super chat as many times as possible. Watch this one day. I'm going to get it.
Starting point is 01:08:40 I'm going to get a part on a Luca movie. And people are like, he fucking said you didn't want to work with you. Here's clips from 10 years ago. He said you suck. Watch. That's going to happen. Fuck.
Starting point is 01:08:52 Oh, well. Hey, I'm real. I keep it. It's me. I know fucking bullshit when it's me. me. But that's why people love you, man. That's why we all love you because you keep it real. Fucking real.
Starting point is 01:09:03 Yo, did you used to watch Chappelle's show the whole like, where keeping it real goes wrong? No. All I remember, all I remember from the Chappelle show and I loved it was Clayton Bigsby, the blind races. The black white supremacist. Yeah. Was he being a fucking blind? He was. He was. He had no idea. He was black.
Starting point is 01:09:22 He was one of the funniest. It was most absurd. That show, man. Back in the day, that fucking show. Holy shit. It was so good. I based a lot of my humor off of South Park and Chappelle Show and the Boondocks. Yeah, man. That really shaped me.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Fuck. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, well, with all that, y'all, let us know what you think, uh, what's going on with, uh, with Luca potentially directing an MCU project. Are you here for it? Are you going to see this AI film that apparently we should have been watching in the first place? Let us know about that, too.
Starting point is 01:09:54 Uh, but, of course, please send in the super chats at the point. part of the show we're going to answer your questions uh your feelings of concerns all of that let us know but before we get to that mike do you got anything you need to plug right now no um i don't mean it's kind of like for me this time of year it's like i'm just working a lot because of the summer in the theme park it's busy oh i'll be a comic con if anyone's going to be a comic con nice okay like that's my big thing i'm looking forward to i think it's like two weeks from tomorrow i leave and you guys are there i'd love to see you guys It's really good.
Starting point is 01:10:31 Awesome, awesome. Thank you so much for that, Mike. And before I plug my stuff, I got to make sure that I'll let you know again about the Schmodan match happening on the Vault Channel. The Campia versus Merle Showdown is popping off. You don't want to miss that, man. Check it out.
Starting point is 01:10:46 We are into season three of the Schmodeown, and Campion Muriel is going on, as well as we have got this incredible stand-up show happening in New York with Harloff Ellis and Sturger happening October 8th. We've got a couple months before that happens, but the brokerage and Belmore, hosted by Kyle Lewis.
Starting point is 01:11:06 You don't want to miss the three of them back on stage together in NYC. So make sure you get your tickets now. And as for me, you can find me at the Swaggy Blurred on all platforms, especially here on YouTube. I have got a very interesting theory of where the DCU is going.
Starting point is 01:11:24 I am putting the finishing touches on that today and it will be out later this one. week on my channel. I've got some movies I need to catch up too, so I'll be doing some reviews of that as well. So lots of stuff coming there tomorrow or no, today's Tuesday, Jesus Christ. You can see me later today on Spill the Tequila with John Roker over on his channel. Blurred's in the Hood tomorrow, myself and Jay Washington, Wednesday evening. Make sure to check out our Patreon as well. We did a new Blurt's going to feud, which was absolutely hysterical for our patron members, so check that out. And then I will be back here on
Starting point is 01:11:56 Friday with Christian as well. So check all of that out. But let's jump into it, Mike. We have got 27 so far. It's not a bad number to start off with. Let's keep it coming in, man, and put Roker to shame. We'll start off with Mike D. Some early support. You guys watching the soccer game. Look, I'm telling you, bro, I have, I've always been, not always. I've been a big soccer head since when was that World Cup mid-2010s? I want to say that was either 2012 or 2014. So it's been a solid little over a decade. So I have been very jacked in this weekend.
Starting point is 01:12:34 I'm not surprised by people. We had numbers on other shows I've done where they were not. The traffic in LA has been a complete zoo whenever games are happening at SO-Fi, like just because of the movement in the city. So I get it, Mike D. Have you been watching the games, Mike?
Starting point is 01:12:48 Well, I, as a kid, and when I grew up, I was a big soccer player. I love soccer. But I'm not a soccer fan per se. I will say, I love watching all the Latin ladies cheering on their teams. I think that's like a spectator sport all in of itself, that they do montages of those ladies in the audience, and I'm enamored by it.
Starting point is 01:13:14 But what I love snatch. You, but anyway, that clip of Steph every fucking time. She's a mom now. We can't be playing that shit. She's a mom. I feel like she would want to wear that with pride, though. Oh, I know. Even as a mom.
Starting point is 01:13:32 Like, I love, like, and I didn't realize it before. I'm like, why is it every year like this? And people had to educate me. It's only every four years, like the Olympics. And because it's here in L.A. now. But so I live, I work at Universal. I pretty much knows that. So when I walk out of city walk,
Starting point is 01:13:49 they have watch parties because they've got that giant open area with the giant jumbotron, the Mexico game. I think it was like a week ago. Oh my God. Like I saw the pictures later in the evening. I kind of missed like the main part, but like watching the traffic and everyone honking their horns. And then of course, Universal has to shut it down.
Starting point is 01:14:07 And they're not doing those anymore because it's the fire marshal, like came in and said, you can't have this many people here. Yeah. But I actually kind of love watching people just sitting around Universal watching these games. It was a really kind of nice. And then did you ever go out in your,
Starting point is 01:14:22 the Empire Center and there's like there's like outback Olive Garden and like blazed pizza, but in the center is that courtyard. Yeah. Like we went to dinner like I think we grabbed pizza the other night, Shannon and I and just the people on the chairs. Yeah. And it was just people just sit down there and it just, it was like a summer night, but it was like cool. Like I love, I'm not a sports guy, but I love this kind of community that's bringing everyone together for. Fully agree.
Starting point is 01:14:47 There's something, there's something specific about the World Cup. There's something specific about like the Olympics. where it genuinely just feels like for a little bit that everybody is just kind of like relaxed and like we can all be friends for a little bit. Okay, so that's what I just say is like so my girlfriend, people know she was a big San Antonio Spurs fan. She loves sports and Harlop's a big one.
Starting point is 01:15:07 Were they the Knicks? Is that who won? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I'm watching these sports games. People lose and they go home. They don't fucking kill each other. They don't overturn buses. Like why is it? Is it just be as a.
Starting point is 01:15:21 Americans? Are we just assholes? But here's people all over the world. Oh, we lost. Oh, we ma. Oh, we ma'am. A motte vandy. Hug a kiss, a shake, a titty shake from the ladies. And on they fucking go. Here's Americans are like, fuck you.
Starting point is 01:15:41 Fuck you and your fucking 20 kids. I'm going to ruin your fucking bloodline, you piece of shit. Because you didn't like the guy that shot the ball on the hoop. Fuck you. Exactly. But these are me, everyone's like, oh, soccer, football, love everybody. I want more than that. Dude, Japan, they're infamous for whatever they go to any of these international games.
Starting point is 01:16:03 They bring plastic bags. I think they say Japan's pride, and they blow it up to use as, like, distractions. And when the game's over, they untied, and they clean up the stadium afterwards, even better than they found it. And the only thing that... Look at that. I know, that's great. I think the only thing about it that makes me laugh that I found out the other
Starting point is 01:16:21 is that there was a huge push on social media from Japanese women be like, yeah, we know y'all are excited about all these fans supposedly clean it up. Why the fuck don't they do that at home? They want to go and clean up a stadium, but they don't clean up a goddamn thing in this living room, and I'm like, hey, yo.
Starting point is 01:16:39 Whoops. Whoops. So, hey. Yeah, I don't, I don't. It is quite between the dispers and Knicks and now the World Club. It is a vast distinction. and vast two sides of sports enjoyment.
Starting point is 01:16:56 And I'm much more on the football side. Like that soccer, that's much more enjoyable to me. We have a lot of pent-up energy in America, I think is the problem. And it turns out of it. I never got the sports thing like that in America. I never will.
Starting point is 01:17:09 Just never will. Ron H. Happy Tuesday, foes. Hope you all are doing well. Winston and Mike, the dynamic duo, we all need. He-ho.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Hammer, hama, laba-dabababab happy. Yep Oh, hey Oh, I'm a numnamamina Oh, I completely forgot about that My, my, I don't know, green day I don't know who I was trying to sing.
Starting point is 01:17:39 Yeah. I completely forgot about that. But before I forget, he-ho, that's no, this is fantastic. Thank you for reintroducing me to that, everybody. Sammy. Hey, y'all, the swaggy Mike and team up. Would you rather be in a Nolan epic,
Starting point is 01:17:55 but in a small role, or be a feature character than an ex-MCU, DCU, Blockbuster. Ooh. Holy shit, that's a good one. That is a great question. Hold on a second. Let me be a small role in an epic, you know, or feature character.
Starting point is 01:18:10 Like you say feature character, am I the lead? More like the lead. Like top three billing. We'll say something like that. If it's, I'm going to go with, if it's like top three billing type feature character, then I'm probably going with that.
Starting point is 01:18:30 If it's featured like, you know, oh, that's like a really recognizable, like, name character, but maybe you don't, you know, there's a bunch of stars ahead of you. That, like, like, say like Kat Dennings was in Thor, like she was fantastic in Thor, but like she was clearly not the focus. I would probably go the Nolan side of things
Starting point is 01:18:51 just because Nolan is on my list of directors to work with but if you told me that said future character would be with Ryan Coogler and like the next Black Panther then my answer is very quickly that instead for me because Ryan Coogler is my number one director I would like to work with. I'm going to go. Sorry, go ahead, buddy.
Starting point is 01:19:07 Does it? Does it? Yeah, I would go the MCU route because, well, one, Nolan, I actually have friends that worked in his films. I had a friend that worked on Oppenheimer and he got invited to like a Christmas party and stuff with Nolan
Starting point is 01:19:22 so it was just like but on the other hand I think after that movie's over it's up to you to kind of what you do with your career I think if you are a top Marvel you are like for me the big thing with the Marvel would be I would if hopefully it was a role in it like one of the leads I want to do conventions
Starting point is 01:19:39 I want to go to a hall age I want to do a panel I want to meet fans at assigning like I love of that. So to me, that is a goal as an actor is to get to that level or in a project that is a character that, you know. So, yeah, that's the one I go. That's a great question, though.
Starting point is 01:19:57 That's a tough one. That is a really, really good one. Ron H. Mike, he looks like PLD, so more attractive. Okay. Yeah. Oh, like, Mike D. Mike looking like he's going to play an eight-hour DJ set at Ultra Music Festival. Oh, I guess with the, with the...
Starting point is 01:20:14 Avatar? Yeah, that they got over there with you. It looks like you got Dr. Manhattan on your shoulders. You're getting ready to go play a set. Mike Diu with these little thumbnails, man. Joey Pedras, love this duo support. Thank you so much, Joey. Appreciate that, man.
Starting point is 01:20:31 And Baba Yaga, 1928. Also, is that Christian in the whale? What is going on? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my. Oh, man. Does he have the fucking breathing tube in his nose from the whale?
Starting point is 01:20:50 Oh, but look at him. Fucking put that up somewhere. Oh, that's going to be my fucking screensaver. Holy fuck. Oh, that's great. That is so great. Elba Yaga says, Winston, the update on demons slayer. Still want to know how you enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:21:05 It was a huge part coming up feels like blue balls. I know how you feel. That is a great question. I have not gone back to it yet. But how about this? I will make, I'll make a promise to you to finish it out this season, finish it out by the end of the week. as I'm resetting, I've got time,
Starting point is 01:21:19 so I will do that and I'll come back and I can answer that question for you next week. Man, you were really tickled by that photo, aren't you? Fucking great. It's great. Oh, my God. Because they're always a shitty shape from the ladies. There we go.
Starting point is 01:21:33 That was a quick grab there, POD. He's on it with me. You got to be quick. Got to be quick. That might have even been Luke. That's actually funny. Either way, but no, yeah. I'll let you know about David Slayer and see you guys.
Starting point is 01:21:47 Aoshi, is it true that Christian Harleff isn't here because he's with Jelly Roll. I don't understand where this joke about Christian and Jelly Roll came from. I know Jelly Roll is getting a divorce. Does Christian care about Jelly Roll? What happened? What happened to Jelly Roll? Something about him and his wife both like... He's the guy that was in prison that changed his life around, right?
Starting point is 01:22:06 He did a bunch of drugs. Yeah, did a bunch of drugs. Him and his wife, I guess, were open. She used to be a lady of the night, I believe. Oh. There was, but he was okay with it. Right, right. But like he was totally fine with it.
Starting point is 01:22:21 They kind of met each other, like, getting sober, but then. Hold on. Did you just call being a hooker, a lady of the night? Hey, man. I was told by Christian that I'm not allowed to swear as much. So I have to watch it because you think you're bad. Every other word would be an N word or an F word, bro. Like, it would be really bad.
Starting point is 01:22:43 Oof. So I just, I just have to. I just have to essentially, you know, Wonder Woman's braces are also keeping her rage in check. It's the same thing. I'm just keeping my, just my swearing in check. Well, I didn't know he was involved with a lady of the night. I did not know that. Retired, yeah, she was a retired lady of the night.
Starting point is 01:23:02 But it sounds like he just was on some fuckboy shit. And so then they were like, okay, we're going to divorce. But then. Anyway, Poochooke Riot was the Sony backlash. Do you think this could affect Spidey's box office? you both are corn star connoisseurs. Who's the goat? Food talk about me.
Starting point is 01:23:20 Who's your food talk having? Man. It's funny you say that. I saw the, God, what was it about? It was something about Spider-Man. They just did a release about,
Starting point is 01:23:33 I don't know if it was a new trailer or something, but every single comment was about Sony in the game. And the, you know, just like they hijacked the, about, I forgot what it was about Spider-Man. It wasn't a new trailer.
Starting point is 01:23:45 Maybe it's recent. I know that there was a, there was a commercial that came out with Messi in time for the World Cup. Maybe it was that. Maybe that's what it was. Yeah. But everything was dragging them about. I mean, you got to, your audience and you want to talk to it, what they recently came out,
Starting point is 01:24:00 wasn't it that they said millennials are the biggest audience moviegoers right now? And those are the gamers too. And you're fucked with the gamers, man. Like with me, I'm just like, well, I might not buy a PS6. You know, I might, the PS5 might buy my last generation. I'm kind of an older gamer at this point. So I'm not the guy they got to court, but if you're going to fuck with gamers,
Starting point is 01:24:19 that is a massive audience, and they will go at you. And they went at it in a multitude of ways. They got rid of physical media. And they've already said on top of that, they're raising the prices on all of this shit. So you're not, you're spending less money to print the disc.
Starting point is 01:24:35 You're not updating the games in a way that it's like made it worth all that. And like you're setting me up that at any point in time when you decide, oh man, sorry, we ain't going sponsor. so no GTA 6 and what games officially dead that I just never get to play that shit again? Kiss my ass.
Starting point is 01:24:50 Kiss the black as part of my ass. I never understood this like because I remember before digital with video games, comics was the big going digital. And they always touted, well, the cost of printing and ink and shipping the books. But the digital comics come out and they cost the same fucking price.
Starting point is 01:25:07 And now video games, it's like your digital cost the same. So what do you? And then now you'll see like on the PlayStation store, a game that's been out like for four years is $60, but you could get it on Amazon for 30. So they're getting rid of that market. Like, no, fuck off. Like, but no, maybe they will get dragged on it.
Starting point is 01:25:27 Maybe, maybe it will hurt. Who knows? And that would suck because I don't want Spider-Man to do bad because that one that's one of the- I mean, it's not going to do bad. It won't, but I hope that it doesn't hit its goals. Like I, like, I mean, I'm sure their goal is around $2 billion. Just based off of what they did last time, let's do that, that, that it's, again or at least somewhere in that stratus view?
Starting point is 01:25:46 So I mean, yeah, you've got to look at it this way because you, let's say that they're not getting IMAX. So they created that whole infinity vision thing. So that's going to take a chunk of, you know, 50 million dollars or whatever out of their box office. And now maybe if there's Sony thing, you know, but that's how people, that's how things happen. You know, the, the consumers speak their mind and they hold their money and they make. So maybe, maybe this, you know, I don't know. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:13 Good question. Interesting to see. Very, very good question. Go pal. Why is everyone an X-Men a Summers or a Richards? I mean, because Scott be fucking. That's about all I got, bro. He'd be getting it in.
Starting point is 01:26:28 That's pretty much the reason why. There's even a point during Krakow where there was a, like a thruple with Scott, Logan, and Gene. Like, they all had their own rooms connected to each other. So, like, they, you know, Scott, Scott getting up. I'm old. with my ex-men. I liked it back in like in the 80s when they were all just, there were no summers yet.
Starting point is 01:26:48 I mean, not, it was Scott, of course, but they weren't married. They didn't have cable and all this stuff from the future. It's just like small little core group of X-Men. Just some kids trying to get by in life.
Starting point is 01:26:58 Just trying to get by. Viseline based, Winston, why are your box office predictions always wrong? Well, you'll see. It's because I don't sit around my charts all day and try and Stargraph where it's going to go.
Starting point is 01:27:12 It's not exactly my. excuse. So you're worse than me? Apparently. I'm terrible. I'm terrible. Dude, I don't even try.
Starting point is 01:27:20 I'm terrible. I can tell you six ways from Sunday, how to properly light a scene, how to get to an emotional place to, you know, some bad news, and how to pick a script apart and do script analysis and any number of other things. You know what I don't do?
Starting point is 01:27:33 Sit behind a calculator. So I don't know. I can't. I don't get it. I've never been able to. So don't ask me. Yep. Aoshi, a big shout out to the Discord chat,
Starting point is 01:27:45 hearing their thoughts and opinions. I gave the sheep detectives a shot. What an amazing and beautiful film. Hashtag, join us. Did you see the shoot detectives? No, I didn't. Someone, God, I think it was this morning on Instagram, posted a picture.
Starting point is 01:27:59 I thought they were a famous actor, like crying after the sheep detective. They're like, well, didn't think that was going to happen. Now I'm hearing great stuff about it. So I might check it out. Yeah, no, absolutely. I need to. That's the lot of. people like that's been the one where I was like is that the one I missed this year so I need to check
Starting point is 01:28:14 that out uh Ron H Mike as a Disney parks fan I have to say some in the industry are refusing to see the drop in international visitors especially Canadians many people I know are not traveling to the U.S. So that's no you you're not wrong. I mean we see it we are experiencing I can't speak for Orlando I can only speak for here but the economy what it is and also the world. sentiment against the United States. We are absolutely, like, there was this kind of unofficial slogan that was kind of going around the park. It was just called, it was like, stay alive in 25.
Starting point is 01:28:51 It was just like, let's just get through this year. It's a big, a big confluence of everything. But, I mean, we're not, we're not looked at, you know, a lot of people don't want to come to the United States right now. And it's, yeah, it doesn't, it doesn't help that like the way that the media does sensationalize everything as much as they do. the number of people that are here for the World Cup that have been caught in news interviews being like,
Starting point is 01:29:16 I really was debating whether or not to come because everything I've been told is the U.S. is constantly on fire. Everybody's always getting shot. Like it's just nonstop violence. So it was like, and then you hear reports of like, you know, referees for the World Cup being detained and not allowed even though they have all their papers in order. There's a lot of people that are like,
Starting point is 01:29:34 I just don't, I'm not running the risk. But the World Cup has done a lot to help heal that image because then you have had these fans be like, bro, I discovered Kansas City barbecue. Yo, America is shit. I mean, and they need to get their shit together. We as a country because we got the Olympics coming up in two years. Yeah, we do.
Starting point is 01:29:53 Yeah, we do. You got to get their shit together because that's going to be massive. Absolutely, man. Ron H. Christian Arliff not here. Dude better have 30 minutes for Hollywood weed. He's been trying to get him to watch that for weeks and weeks now. Ron H. comes back again.
Starting point is 01:30:10 Winston, you think Mike loves BBC? He one of us? See, BBC, he won't. Do I love it? No, I don't. I'm not, I don't go that way. I don't go that way, Ron. Come on, how long are you watching the show, man?
Starting point is 01:30:30 It's so Ron renamed Capes and Cows because it's me and Christian and Chris now. He renamed a BBC thrusting through media with BBC featuring Ebony and Ivory. Which is that supposed to be being Chris. So that's where that's coming from. Cock. King of the Wicker people. O.A. Mind Hunter, Marco Polo, Santa Clarita Diet, Alter Carbon, Fubar, and more were canceled after two seasons. On top of the delay between seasons, most people are trained now to expect a show to be canceled after season two.
Starting point is 01:31:07 That's fair. So then they don't want to be invested. Santa Clarita Diet only did two seasons? really? I did know that. I was upset about it. I actually enjoyed that show. And mine hundred,
Starting point is 01:31:15 that was a big F you to the fans. They all were like, even Fincher was like, we wanted three, we wanted another one, but they didn't go with it. Like, that's a,
Starting point is 01:31:24 yeah, that's crazy. A lot of that was also what the, like, pre-strike or like right at the beginning of the strike era of like, they were saying yes to so many things. And then everyone was like,
Starting point is 01:31:35 you're getting a maximum of three seasons, but only if you do some sort of work. And they didn't, wouldn't help you. They'd be like, good luck. And did you. you go there was a i forgot when it came out but there was like a either article or something where netflix
Starting point is 01:31:47 there was a reason behind why they only did two seasons and it wasn't like a a a it wasn't a um uh uh uh uh uh uh like in a benefactor way of like this is why we do it because we find that the fans love it for two and then they don't love it it was a very much a money like because they didn't have to pay out a certain thing after two seasons or something like that like it just it's just it two season line was like, that's enough where we don't have to extend contracts or something and people could renegotiate. It was a very negative, shitty thing, why they only do two seasons. It was, it was tied into what a lot of people didn't realize about that strike that was going on
Starting point is 01:32:25 as well, the writer's strike and the actor strike was specifically the writers one. It was also then their model for their writers rooms were, again, not only the six to eight episode range, but it also was like shows like that, you typically had enough positions to get those fledgling writers. their experience to get in and do whatever. And they would cut writers rooms to like the showrunner and maybe two other people. And then that's it. So you're also just kneecapping the growth of new writers.
Starting point is 01:32:53 So it was just a lot of stuff going on. So yeah, it's it's not the best man. Go pal. Netflix Daredevil was 13 episodes, but they all came out at once. I think I watched each season over three nights. Yeah, that was just me remembering it like because I had watched. I was like, I didn't want it to end. So I would watch one or two,
Starting point is 01:33:10 a week and that was it. Okay, okay. Yeah, I stretched that thing out. That makes sense. Blake, been watching the Spider-Man reactions with you and Sam. I'd love to see you guys react to Spider-Man 3 dance with no music vid that's on YouTube. Oh, Lord, the whole emo, whatever the hell thing he's doing.
Starting point is 01:33:31 I have forgotten about that, man. That's funny. Go, pal. The one that's making me mad is a good girl's guide to murder, seasons one and two, were already six episodes each. They announced it's coming back for an abbreviated final season of only four episodes.
Starting point is 01:33:45 Like that's, okay, one of the biggest complaints that I heard about, Avatar The Last Airbender, because like the first live action season was received really well, but then there was a massive drop-off in audience. When you look at the fact
Starting point is 01:34:00 that season two of the original show, the original animated show, was a 22-episode thing, and they shoved an entire season into eight episodes. You are losing so much, nuance because there was a bunch of stories that happened within that season that it just doesn't hit the way that it did when you had time to breathe through those those types of
Starting point is 01:34:21 things so the same thing i don't know of a good girl's guide to murder is based off a book or something else like that but the idea of like we were getting used to a pace of this and you're forcing it together it's just not going to hit as well personally i that's just me like at bare minimum keep me at the same number and give me six but like this four shit i don't know man That's great. What do you think? Well, I mean, I've seen it happen where it wasn't going to come back for another season, but then it ends on a cliffhanger so they let the filmmakers, like, all right, we'll give you four.
Starting point is 01:34:50 Can you wrap it up in four? And they're like, we can do it for. So if you're doing that, like to get more what you weren't going to get, I get it. Sure. Yeah. No, that makes sense. That makes sense. Oh, crap.
Starting point is 01:35:00 Egypt up 2-0 on Argentina. Messy might be done. Oh, boy. All right. Well, good luck to Argentina trying to figure that out in the last couple minutes. Go, pal. I only got annoyed when I didn't win the hardest name to pronounce in eighth grade. Stupid, uh, Jirgen, Becker.
Starting point is 01:35:18 Juergen Becker. Jirgen Becker. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'm so, wait, you're annoyed that you didn't win the hardest name to pronounce? I guess because then that would feel like some level of like,
Starting point is 01:35:29 well, at least I have this. It's like, if they're going to fuck my name up, at least I have this. Yeah. Um, Derek Johnson coming up with the support. Thank you so much, brother. Hey, Derek.
Starting point is 01:35:38 Appreciate that. Joshua Gonzalez. Here we go. Here we go. Mike, the movie doesn't have AI. It's about AI. I know. We got it.
Starting point is 01:35:48 We got it covered. I admitted it. AI sluts. AI sluts. What was that? That's right. See, I'm all about the AI. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:36:01 You just lied and playing in my face, Mike. I don't appreciate that. Go, pal. And if you're pronouncing Amar, like an Indian, the stress is on the first syllable, and that's not the vowel in the second syllable. Bet.
Starting point is 01:36:16 Amar and you go. Yeah, that's, thank you. Thank you. That exact, see, so even they were wrong about trying to pronounce it. Go pal. What about my legs, tell him of my van. Yeah, yep, yep.
Starting point is 01:36:29 Calamemba! That was good. That was good. That was good. Oh, shit. She hasn't even texted me yet, but I instinctively realized I started yelling, and my fiance is,
Starting point is 01:36:39 working in the other room on in a meeting call so I got to relax. Shut the fuck up. Literally. Literally. Um, Bazline. Uh, how are those ass luh. Mike, you degenerate. Oh, things like me are so.
Starting point is 01:36:59 Armada, 21 questions, mini men. Futa. Hami, who. Did you like, uh, get Richard die trying? 50 cents first album Winston Let me ask you something my friend Hey
Starting point is 01:37:15 Oh When do you think I even listened To 50 cents Was it dead Die trying Clearly you did Because you were like
Starting point is 01:37:29 Whatever the Oh Winston When did it come out When did it come out Winston? When did it come out Winston? 2002 Okay So I was probably
Starting point is 01:37:37 Something like that mid 20s at the point maybe with the mid 20s it was just it was everywhere like it would hit number one on billboard and all that stuff like uh do i look like that was on my shuffle my iPad my mixtape do you think i had that cd in my car come on now everybody did 2003 and you want to know why winston because i'm racist okay there it is there it is you know what i didn't even realize it i didn't realize that you were out here in these streets with this beautiful newbie and princess as you as your as your long time partner and you just out here racist just hey minif you being big and black.
Starting point is 01:38:09 They're just done with that shit. I love, I love now people are saying, because there was this, there was, you probably don't know about this. So we, Shannon and I were talking about hall passes.
Starting point is 01:38:18 And I just told her, I've never dated a black girl. And I was, I was like, I've never happened. She's like, all right, I'll give you a hall pass.
Starting point is 01:38:24 I go, what? If you meet a black woman that you are attracted to and you want to sleep with her and she wants to be with you, you got a hall pass for that. I'm like,
Starting point is 01:38:30 I do. And then, but then, but then so it says, like, well, Mike Shannon's half black. I'm like, no, no, I'm talking like an ebony chocolate princess.
Starting point is 01:38:38 Like, so then LePena Nongo for, for, they're showing all, they're sending me and on Twitter, all the pictures of her on the red carpet. And she's just gorgeous. Like, she, she is gorgeous, absolutely stunning, dude. So, man. So that's where that, that comes from the Ebony Princess and the chocolate. Just the pussy haven't looking for. He says, PLD.
Starting point is 01:39:02 Live look at PLD over there. Who's really into the AI slots? What the hell? Jesus. Go, pal. A happy birthday to Ellis. Absolutely. I just got.
Starting point is 01:39:14 Mark Ellis? Yeah, my calendar just sent me in the world. I was going to text him after the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't do that. Ron H. Mike, Winston. I looked into the depths of her soul. I said, I said, I said, I said.
Starting point is 01:39:28 I said. You said that, though? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I said it. Oh, you didn't watch Keen Peel, huh? I thought you were, I thought you were foghorn, leghorn there for a thing. Like, ooh, I say, I'll say, I'll say, what's going on over there? I say, I'll say, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, I'll say, oh, fog, horn, leghorn, the shit.
Starting point is 01:39:51 That's fair. That's what I thought you were doing that, right? I don't know what you're talking about. No, but that was, yeah, that was the very first sketch of Key and Piel was I said bitch, where they keep saying they caught, like, whenever they're, woman was late to do so man she took 30 damn hours to get her makeup done sir i said to her i said i said bitch hey you called her a bitch though i i love pmpeel that was it was it was good man it was a strong start that was their first sketch their first sketch on the show i was no i love
Starting point is 01:40:33 i love that show yeah man uh go pal wasn't the 14 world club when clint demsey scored a goal with Dempsey. Yes, it was. It was, that did happen. That was, that was pretty crazy, which, whoa, epic, Jeffie coming up with 20 gifted memberships. That is huge. Thank you so much for that. That legitimately may put us in contention, man, just from that alone. I don't even know about that shit, though. I don't, I don't believe, I don't know what that means anymore. Like, the new system, there's no, you don't know. It's all, and Harloff loves that. He fucking loves that. I don't know. I know he does. Yeah, but thank you so much. Thank you for that. Yeah, buddy. Thank you. Armada, Leto Gucci sings, hold me now.
Starting point is 01:41:19 I'm six feet. I don't know. Well, I do you ever watch, do you see the house of Gucci? Do you see that movie with Jare Leto? I thought I thought. So I do a luteau, I luch a, a Lotto Gucci. Oh, okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:41:33 Because he said, hold me now. You can hold me now. I am six feet under and I don't know why. I heard it was so bad. But he's so good. He's like never confused shit with chocolate. They may look the same, but they taste very different. All right, man, just for that, I may have to.
Starting point is 01:41:58 Hold me now. Hold me now. I'm a six feet. I don't know what's 60 feet under or over. All right. You may have convinced me, man. You may have convinced me. Shadow Doctor 117.
Starting point is 01:42:12 Actually, Mike, there was a war over soccer in 1969. That was that, was that the movie Victory based on, was the victory, the movie Victory. Did you know that Michael Kyn installed in that movie? Michael Kine was in victory. Michael Kine was a football movie. But I don't know if that was, I mean, it was, in the chat, you guys, let me know. Was that movie Victory about the war in 1969? Or maybe that was Invictus.
Starting point is 01:42:37 Was it Invictus? I thought Invictus was, was the South Africa, Rugged? Yeah. I think victory was this movie about what they're talking about. It could be wrong, but I don't know. I don't know. Let us know, y'all. That guy from Columbia scored an own goal at a World Cup, then got got when he returned home. So it's not only Americans that do it wrong. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:00 Would they kill him when he came home? I think so. Oh, he scored in his own goal and they killed him. And they bodyed him. Real quick, victory is about World War II. There's actually a hundred-hour war or something like that in the 1969 call. the football war between El Salvador and Honduras. Oh.
Starting point is 01:43:16 Interesting. Okay. Did not know that. Thank you. Thank you, PLD, for coming in with the real real. Ron H. Mike, please switch to decaf and breathe. Not all the... Back you. Ron H. Mac you. Do what I want to do. Armada 8 comes in. Can leto Gucci sing?
Starting point is 01:43:35 It's raining man. You know, here's the thing. Back in the day when we were just trying to get the number of super chats in, I would say, well, if we hit so-and-so super chats, I'll do that. I don't know anymore, guys. I don't know if I can do this stuff on Q when I ain't winning. But I know it's, but here's the thing. It's out of control now.
Starting point is 01:43:54 It is, I'm so happy to- You can set a dollar amount because remember, it's now based off of how much at the end. Right, but I don't know what the dollar amount is the day before. So I can't. Like, they always says, like, oh, Roka hit 100 questions. You guys got to at least get to 100. So right now, because we can tally that up. Right.
Starting point is 01:44:10 But I'll do this three. Why don't you say for $20, $20, $20 super chats, the hill's thing as much leto Gucci shit you won't. How about that? All right. Hey, I don't know. I feel bad doing stuff like that. I'll talk to horrible often.
Starting point is 01:44:23 I'll give you this one. I'll give you this one. It's like, look at this guy. It's a raining man. Hallelujah. It's a raining man. I see a ding-dong and a bolze. They're raining down on my face.
Starting point is 01:44:37 I look at the sky and like, ah, it's a raining man. Hallelujah. I'm willing to throw in 20 bucks for that. That was fantastic, bro. That was fantastic. Joey Beddress, we got a great mic rant, so I'm obliged to super chat.
Starting point is 01:44:53 Love it. Love it, love it, love it. Which one was that? Which one was it? My rant about the AI? That would be a good one. Oh, it was the soccer. It was the football and the soccer.
Starting point is 01:45:02 Probably. Yeah. Yeah. Just for you, Joey. I am two fly cam. Keem Peel greater than Chappelle show. Just funnier, in my opinion. I, I, I, I.
Starting point is 01:45:11 You know, I was... Go ahead, man. Go ahead. I'm inclined to agree. Like, Key and P, like, Chappelle, like, not everyone was a hit for me. And, and... Sure. But he...
Starting point is 01:45:23 And maybe, it could be reasoncy bias because they're much more fresh in my mind. But Key and Peele, like, every now, I think I know them all, and then someone will send me another one that I don't know. And I'm like, oh, my God. Fair. The only reason I think a lot, for me, why I think a lot of people potentially say that, because I feel like there were more...
Starting point is 01:45:41 mega hits out of Chappelle in the shorter period of time is that Chappelle only had to call it two and a half seasons whereas Keogneville 5. So like, yes, you can still compare them, but I just think that the longevity is what does that for a lot of people for the idea of keeping. Now, mind you, Keybill had some, some of the best sketches of all time, the substitute teacher, the, the, the football names one, like the East West Bowl. Oh, my God. America's, America's, Juan Penn State University. X,
Starting point is 01:46:13 X-Wing at Alicialessness. And then the way is like, John Smith, Penn State, the one white guy. Like, brilliant,
Starting point is 01:46:23 brilliant. A.A. Ron Balake, Stanford University. Like, oh, dude, no, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:46:28 Like, so they have clearly had mega hits. But I, I think it's just the, the Chappelle show burned fast and bright
Starting point is 01:46:36 in two seasons. And that versus Key and Peel got five years. to exist. Yeah. I think that that has a lot to do with it. I too if I can, let's go Egypt.
Starting point is 01:46:47 Defeat the evil, that evil serpent. Yeah, I can't wait to see what the final score is, y'all. If Argentina pulled it out or if they are done, Armada. Mike, when are you inviting Winston on your pod box lunch? What is this? I don't, I don't pod box. Is it box lunch? Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Starting point is 01:47:06 On your pod box lunch. So there was a, we talked, it was, Roxy and me in Harleff one day. And she brought up the term. She goes, yeah, I was eating box. And we're like, eating box? Who fucking does that anymore? It was like 20, 30 years ago.
Starting point is 01:47:21 We were 15. She's like, you guys don't say that now? Like, no. So then I got them both. I was like, hey, guys, I'm, I'm going to announce something. They said, do you have anything you working on? I said, yeah, Penny Barber and I, you know, her people really like me and the relationship we have.
Starting point is 01:47:35 We're going to start a podcast called Box Lunch. Me and the barber. That's actually genius, and you should start that podcast, and I would come on immediately. Let me try that again. I would be a guest on the show immediately. Stop! Oh, man. Yoshinitsu.
Starting point is 01:47:55 Sheev detectives is wonderful and heartfelt, some really funny jokes right where they belong, and it's much more of a drama than the trailer showed. All right. I mean, people keep telling me you to see it, so it might be time for me to do that. Go, pal. While the men remain disappointing on this day in 2019, the U.S. women won their fourth world cup. Yeah, our ladies are pretty damn unstoppable, man. They remain in the conversation. Armada, y'all see they are putting hot dog buns and pringles.
Starting point is 01:48:22 Excuse me, what? Wait, they're putting hot dog buns in pringles? How does that work? Oh, Jesus Christ. What is that one now? I guess for your policy. I'm eating box. I'm eating box.
Starting point is 01:48:37 That's just I do it, too. It's disgusting It's all on the box Just teased Ron H I've been inviting all of you Mike your turn Come down to MTF

Starting point is 01:49:09 Is that Montreal? Montreal. Oh. I love Canada. I've been to Toronto, Brantford, Quebec, Vancouver.
Starting point is 01:49:19 I've never been to Montreal, though. Nice, man. I love Canada. Looks like, looks like Ron H. I've got to support. Ron H.
Starting point is 01:49:26 Yeah. Ron H. Mike, it's 2026. It's all, it's all moist in the dark, L.O.L. Oh, God.
Starting point is 01:49:36 What is that? Starting point is 01:50:09 So he's down with the BBC. There you go. Ron H comes in again. Josh Demarro, Disney CEO, has an uphill battle over the next few years, but I think he's best, he's the best man for the job. It seems like he came in and people were really cheering him because he really seemed like a fan of the parks and the people working in it, but then he's made some decisions recently. I think people had, it was like his first, you know, I don't know, six months in office or maybe
Starting point is 01:50:33 four months in the position and people are like, oh, these decisions he made. These aren't the best. But he is fighting an uphill battle with attendance and costs and whatnot. So, yeah. Yeah, fair. We'll see. Oh, Bassline comes back in. Oh, he says Winston.
Starting point is 01:50:49 Pride month is over. Sorry, cheers to you. And I say, oh, well, in that case, tell your dad, I'm going to cancel our date for this week. I forgot that Pride month is over. Oh. Oh, but baby. Come on. Thank you for the monies.
Starting point is 01:51:06 Well, baby. Right. Ron H. MTO has incredibly sexy women of all colors. Oh. Word word. Okay. Yoshimitsu, as a Blurds fan, I cracked up when I heard shots being played in the stadium of a World Cup game after a goal had to explain myself to my partner. Yo, Yoshi, thank you so much for supporting the show.
Starting point is 01:51:26 What we do on the Blurds in the Hood, Mike, is every time we hit $100. Yeah. We play the LMFAO, shot, shot. shot shot shot shots and then we then we take a shot with the audience so that oh shit hilarious that that you were in the middle of a world cup game and heard that and started that's that's fun yoshi absolutely hilarious um mike d rap battle hype man and key and peel is the best oh that one was funny too i did like i see i don't even know i don't think i've seen that one that one that one is very very funny um there's also one of little wayne in prison where he
Starting point is 01:52:01 played by appeal where he just keeps getting stabbed like every time he tries to do some bars. Somebody shanks him in the prison so that was pretty good too. And then there was one other one. You've seen the UFC fight shit talking, right? I don't know, but
Starting point is 01:52:19 I'll tell you one of my ones that gets me every fucking time is when he's Ray Parker Jr. from singing Ghostbusters. Like, you know me, I'm Ray Parker. I sing Ghostbusters, but you don't know I got my other hit single Jumangi for danger in the jungle.
Starting point is 01:52:36 Jamai and Gene. He's got this CD of all these unreleased fucking, it's fucking brilliant. That he receives Mr. T's like, hey, fool. It's never cool to make fun of a man who wears gold chains, earrings, a feather earring, and overall, fool.
Starting point is 01:52:53 Here, I'm texting it to you right now. This is, this is the, this is the UFC. And watch this after, um, watch this after we're done. It's them essentially, one dude who's like a religious zealot UFC fighter and one dude, just an idiot and them just talking shit and you just watch one have a meltdown in the other one's like and then god will help me strike you're down with righteous fury it's just like it's it's fantastic um
Starting point is 01:53:24 Ryan's uh 40-50 uh just did a pickup order as the guy was loading my car all you can hear is he ho coming out of my speakers guys like what the fuck Jay Morgan 3977. Hey guys, even Flo came on my playlist the other day and I started laughing. Thanks for ruining that song from me. Like, can I get her? Hey! Hey! Oh my God, man, oh, oh, screw face.
Starting point is 01:54:01 What up, school face. Donated yesterday to say this, but the stream ended before Christian Reddit, random, but But Christian looks exactly like Matt Kennedy Gould from the Joe Schmo show, which is nuts with the Schmo thing. Now I got to look who this person is. I got to look this guy up. Yeah. Kennedy, who? Matt.
Starting point is 01:54:18 I put the glasses on. Kennedy. Oh, wow. Okay, hold on. Wait, Gould or Gould? Oh. G-O-U-L-D, it looks like. This guy?
Starting point is 01:54:39 Yeah, I can kind of see. I can kind of see it in this one right here. It almost looks. It almost looks like if Mark and Christian had a baby. Like you see how it looks like a little bit. Yeah. That's wild, man. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:56 That's absolutely wild. I can kind of see it. Shit. That's crazy, man. Kind of see it. Ron H. Victory, 1981 is a great film. Pele, Michael Cain, and Stallone. I love that film.
Starting point is 01:55:08 You guys should check it out, especially with World Cup on. Yeah, I remember that. see it. It is a kid that was not my thing at the time, but I remember it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, no, for sure. Ron H. Screwface, dude, I got to get on your music.
Starting point is 01:55:23 I have it on my Spotify. I have to see if it'll work with my night cruise in the streets. It absolutely will. Screwface's music is fantastic. He had, the disc was a while ago, but he had a fantastic disc that he put out. Again, DJ academics that had me dying laughing with the bars. So no. Screwface, screwface is a real one.
Starting point is 01:55:40 Now, definitely check out his music. Ron H. Fudge. Oh, right. Fudge from the key Peele sketch where they were doing the name. So it would be like, no, X-wing out deliciousness. Ah, eh, eh, and then one was just,
Starting point is 01:55:53 Fudge. Oh. Screw face comes back. Especially when Chris started the channel, he looked, when Christian started the channel, it looked exactly like Matt Kennedy. I can see what you're saying, yeah. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 01:56:10 J.C., it was the final. key and peel uh the key and peel sketch finale sketch too but he did say bitch oh i didn't realize that they did that in the finale i didn't realize they did a callback for that i'll have to have to go back and watch that uh j morgan 39 77 all this recent discussion of discussion of reeves batman and guns batman but are either of you still grieving that aflick bat let the aflick batman film we never got i am no because it was announced so quickly that he wasn't doing it anymore so i yeah like it go. It seemed like, who he's going to direct it and starring it. Awesome. I can't direct that anymore. I can't. I want to be in it, though. Matt Reeves, like, I love it. That I don't want to work with Affleck, because it's not my story. I mean, I don't mean that in a negative way. He just didn't want to tell that story.
Starting point is 01:56:57 So, no, it's, yeah, moments past. That's one of those things I just let go. But I get it. I can understand why somebody would, though. Hasco 420, two goals by Argentina in four minutes, two, and the 86 minute. What the shit? Messy is a monster. My God. Can 6721? Hello there. Hello there to you as well. Aeuchi. Did Christian get moist with jelly roll? He's quiet now. That's a great question. I don't know. And then Yoshimitsu, half Letto. I don't know if this is one of two or just half of Lotto? I think so. So Lotto Gucci reminded me of one. of my dad's old 8mm movies from the 70s. He and his friend were big Monty Python fans. He played French Pierre doing a blind taste test with chocolate pudding and something else. There is no difference.
Starting point is 01:57:56 They both taste like donkey poo. Okay. Oh, I do love me somebody python. So I can kind of, I got to hear that for sure. But yeah, all right, y'all. That is all of the questions. So before we get out of here, just one more time. And Mike, if there's anything you want to share with the audience or what's going on and things like that, go for them.
Starting point is 01:58:17 No, nothing to share. Just thank you guys for supporting us. Thanks for letting me look like an idiot with that AI movie. Oh, wow. What can you do? Yes, they stay good out there, guys. That's what's up. And, of course, you know where to find me at the swaggy blur at all platforms.
Starting point is 01:58:35 Again, later today, I will be on Spill the Tequila with John Roka. So we've got more to talk about over there. So come and check us out. We know PLD won't. Uh, then of course we have Blurds in the hood tomorrow. Myself of Jay Washington, I'll miss that and I will be back here on Friday. And please follow me at the Swaggy Blurd. Uh, again, I will have my supergirl or DCU theory as a whole out later this week.
Starting point is 01:58:54 So with that, we just want to say thank you so much for supporting the show. Uh, we did have two back in, make that three, two Argentina messy hasn't scored. Damn, bro. That's crazy that they are going to do that in the 11th hour. That's absolutely nuts. Uh, ha, ha, ha, Winston, you know my dad's French accent. Oh, because it tastes like donkey poo. I just remember the Monty Python of it all.
Starting point is 01:59:17 I just tapped into that. So I'm going to get out of here, man. I think that's enough of what's going on. Let's end with the mic singing. Hey! Hey! Oh, and have a, I'm a, blah, and hey.
