The Kristian Harloff Show - Florence Pugh headed to the Bond Universe?!
Episode Date: September 2, 2026🚀 Our Show Is Trending is launching on Kickstarter September 22nd! We're excited to finally share what we've been working on. Head over to https://ourshowistrending.com/ and hit Notify Me on Launch... so you'll be among the first to know when the Kickstarter officially goes live. 📅 Kickstarter launches September 22nd 🔔 Get notified: https://ourshowistrending.com/ Could Florence Pugh be joining the James Bond universe as Moneypenny? A new rumor claims the Thunderbolts*, Avengers: Doomsday, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day star is being eyed to lead The Moneypenny Diaries, a potential James Bond spinoff series for Prime Video. On today's Kristian Harloff Show, we discuss the rumor, whether Florence Pugh would be a good fit for Moneypenny, and what this could tell us about Amazon MGM's larger plans for the future of 007. With the search for the next James Bond continuing, could Amazon be preparing an entire connected Bond universe beyond the main movies? And if Florence Pugh does become Moneypenny, would she also appear alongside the new 007 on the big screen? Plus, we finally have an update on the long-awaited ThunderCats movie. Director Adam Wingard says the project is still alive, and a new draft of the script was completed earlier this year. After years of development, could Lion-O, Cheetara, Panthro and Mumm-Ra finally make their way to the big screen? Tom Cruise is also weighing in on the future of Paramount and Warner Bros. Cruise says he's confident in the promise that a combined studio could deliver 30 theatrical movies per year. Is that realistic, and could a renewed focus on theatrical releases be exactly what Hollywood needs? And Christopher Judge, the voice of Kratos in the modern God of War games, explains why he turned down the opportunity to play Kratos in live action. With Dave Bautista now taking on the role, Judge discusses the intense physical demands that ultimately kept him from becoming Kratos on screen. Today's show covers some potentially huge developments across James Bond, ThunderCats, God of War, and the future of Hollywood. Florence Pugh potentially entering the world of 007 could be the first sign that Amazon has much bigger plans for James Bond beyond the next theatrical movie. We're also discussing whether ThunderCats can finally escape development and make it to the big screen, Tom Cruise's optimism about the future of theatrical movies, and why Christopher Judge ultimately decided against playing Kratos in Amazon's live-action God of War. #JamesBond #FlorencePugh #Moneypenny #Bond26 #007 #ThunderCats #AdamWingard #TomCruise #GodOfWar #Kratos #ChristopherJudge #DaveBautista #Marvel #AvengersDoomsday #MovieNews #KristianHarloffShow SPONSORS: CASH APP: Download Cash App Today: https://capl.onelink.me/vFut/76rlxe00 #CashAppPod. • Cash App is a financial services platform, not a bank. Well, I head live too fast. I need to change my camera. Hold on, guys. Give me, give me like a split second as I make myself look purdiful. There we go. Change the tone a little bit. Hi, I'm Winston. Nice to meet you. Today, Señor Christian is out doing the thing. He is spending time with the fam at a screening. It's a beautiful thing. There's nothing but love for him. I had to spend it time.
but your babies is just so delightful.
So what we're going to do is I'm going to spend time with my grown man baby.
One of the great producers of this show, Mr. PLD and I,
are going to talk about a lot of stuff.
We've got to talk about James Bond that Florence Pew apparently is going to be joining
Bond.
That's crazy.
We got to talk about Thundercats.
You know, Masters of Universe started off hot with the streaming and then drop 50%
since that last that first week.
So is this Thundercat still happening?
We got to talk about that.
We got Tom Cruise.
Slanging some thoughts.
I don't necessarily agree with them,
but we'll get to that.
We'll talk about it.
And we got to talk about God of War
why Christopher Judge did not take the role
while that went to Batista.
We talked about that too.
We got a lot.
We got a lot to speak on, man.
And in honor of the grown man, baby,
that I am doing the show with,
the ever-loving
PLD. I put on
my Star Wars best.
You know, this meant a lot more
prior to the movie that came out this summer.
Anyway, much love
to all of y'all.
It's going to be a fun Wednesday show.
It's going to be full of laughs, hilarity,
probably insanity.
Christians should have never gave you money.
Y'all know what I'm talking about. It's time
for the Christian Harlov show. Let's get it, man.
I wish I knew.
You know, PLD is more
of a of a Star Wars guy, but I feel like it's only appropriate that I'm going to be hosting the show and I'm going to be doing it with PLB.
That he's got to get a little bit of that capes and cow's theme music love.
What's up?
Yieldby, how you doing, brother?
Hey, I'm doing.
Doing okay, my friend.
How are you doing?
I'm doing not too bad.
I would have liked a little more sleep last night.
I woke up a little early because it was a little hot.
I also found out that like apparently we've got, we were having a little bit.
a fly problem like a standard fruit fly now we've got this nat problem and i and i fortunately
costco had a sale on um those like plug-in wall like traps the the ziva whatever they're called
and they actually do pretty good so i've i've so far so i'm gonna have to as soon as the show's over
i'm actually going to go buy some more to be honest good my friend i've actually had one of those
something like that as well we had a we have a mini fly problem in my old house where i'm trying
I get ready to sell it.
And every once in a while, like, I opened a door and, like, this one area in my house.
And there was, like, 30 flies.
No idea where they came from.
Like, what the hell is this?
What the end?
It's ridiculous.
But I got a few traps here and there, like, these zapper traps and stuff.
And all of a sudden, it was gone.
So there we go.
I love it, man.
I absolutely love it.
So, but, but, but, so this is, this is the house you just sold or you're about to sell?
The house I'm about to sell.
I've been working on it for, like, a couple months.
But, like, I hired a contractor who, like, really kind of, hmm.
And I've been spending a lot of time fixing or I shouldn't have to fix, shallot speak,
and throwing my back out left and right.
It's not been fun, man.
The fact that I can relate now to the throwing the back on the back.
I'm pissed as fuck, bro.
I went this morning.
I was brushing my teeth.
I was looking in the mirror.
And I was like, how the, did I go from just a little bit of Mr. Fantastic Graves over here?
Y'all can't tell from the straight up, but in the mirror with proper life.
I have so many grays already.
It's too soon, sir.
It is too soon.
Okay?
This is bullshit.
I empathize.
I started looking through him like,
oh,
what I have my mustache?
Is that like some milkshake or something?
Oh, no,
that's just my brain.
Son of a bunch.
Hey, look, I will tell you one thing,
one thing, though, man,
it's ages only about how you feel,
and I will say as much you can do
just about anything at any point in time
if you're putting your mind through it.
And speaking of that, man,
we got to talk.
Before we get to the stories, we got to talk about what Christian is trying to do.
And then we're, of course, talking about hashtag trending.
Our show, man, this is the comedy, the pilot that he's putting on.
You see him.
What's my guess?
What's her name again?
Martinez.
Martinez.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So the two of them are kicking ass and taking names, man.
And so obviously, if you guys want to see our show happen, you got to get in and you got to help support the kick
as it is popping off.
So please, please, please.
We're trying to get to 2,000 followers by the end of the week.
And the main reasoning for that is a lot of the success for a lot of the Kickstarter campaigns,
both with advertising that the website does and everything else and just the metrics of how that works.
You have a strong following before the campaign actually starts.
It tends to translate.
So for right now, before you donate a single dollar or anything else like that,
I believe it's in the description, the link to the kickstower.
It is.
It is.
even the top of the description.
Thanks for reminding me.
I got it.
We got it.
It's got it.
I will also say we are at 1776 right now.
Our goal is the end of this show.
America.
America, baby.
America.
My goal for the end of this show, 1,800.
That's all I want to say,
1,800 by the end of the show.
That and you know what?
I don't see any super chats yet.
Don't let me lose that bad to Roca at this point.
So it's in my debut here.
That's what I.
That's a good point.
It's his debut.
So go and just follow the Kickstarter.
That would be huge, y'all.
And you're right, it's PLD's first show straight up just helping co-host and whatnot.
So get in those super chats with like any questions and comments you want.
And I'm just so curious to see if we can help at bare minimum.
I would love to win.
A bonus would be nice.
That would be fantastic.
But wouldn't it be fun at the bare minimum for PLD to just out super chat question?
Like like Roca.
Do you understand what he would be able to hold?
over Roka's hand for so long.
Come on now. I mean, we're both
in like old men, but if you've put our age together,
we're still not at Rupa's age. So come on now.
Damn. Damn. That's, you're right, man.
I mean, look, it's going to be really hard
to beat Roker's age, considering
he was one of Jesus' disciples.
All right, so let's just go ahead
and get to it, man. We've got to talk about
these stories. Last thing I want
shot in, I got a text from Christian. He says
if we get to 1800, it'll give us a surprise out of the theater today.
I don't know what that is.
He just texted me in that.
All right.
Well, then y'all heard it, man.
Let's do it so we can get a surprise out of the theater.
All right, let me switch this over to the news story.
Yep, we got it.
James Bond rumors are claiming that Thunderbolts stall Florence Pugh will lead the money-perny penny diaries.
Now, this is from Josh Wilding, a comic book movie.
The hunt for the new James Bond is heating up with Jack Barton, S-A-S-Rogue heroes,
Jack Loden, slow horses, column Turner, Masters of the Air.
Damn, bro, you're just being an airbender.
Jacob and Lorty, the dog stars, Paul Meskow from Gladiator 2 and Harris Dickinson,
baby girl, among those reportedly in the mix.
In an unexpected twist, Mail Online claims that Amazon MGM Studios is eyeing Spider-Man
brand new day star and doon three star florence pew to lead her own spin off the money penny
diaries it's unclear whether she would play money uh it's unclear whether she would also play money penny
in the new james bond movies still it's a possibility given that amazon is reportedly eager to
create a slate of project set in the world of double o seven money penny diaries would be a tv series
for prime video not a feature film uh the money penny diaries is a trilogy of officially authorized james
Bond novels written by Samantha Weinberg under the pseudonym Kate Westbrook, putting M.'s
secretary firmly in the spotlight for the first time. The books reimagined Miss Moneypenny as Jane
Vivian Moneypenny, a woman with her own history ambitions and secrets, while also filling in
some gaps in Ian Fleming's original bond continuity. The first book, The Moneypenny Diaries, Guardian
Angel, takes place in 1962 against the backdrop of the Cuban Missile crisis and explores what was
happening inside MI6 while Bonn was dealing with his own demons following the events on his mess on
her majesty's secret service the subsequent novels secret servant and final fling out of alliteration
jesus continue money penny's story while incorporating real cold war events and figures including
the cambridge spy scandal increasingly the series was initially presented as if they these were
genuine diaries discovered after money penny's death with Weinberg even adopting the kate west
Broussworth persona for publicity before the rules was exposed.
Recent James Bond movies and the first light video game portrayed MoneyPenny is far more
proactive of a character than just a secretary, so it makes sense to put the spotlight on
her in a project like this.
Of course, if it's a prequel, then a different older actress may take on the role in the
spin-off TV series.
Pew is no stranger to action after jumping off the Merideka 118 Tower in Malaysia for
Thunderbolts.
It was in the script, and then slowly as we got closer and closer to shooting, they were
like, yeah, I don't think it's going to happen.
I mean, there's just going to be some crazy insurance ordeal.
And obviously, we're not going to just throw FP off the second tallest building in the world.
I mean, come mad.
And then I was like, man, what the fuck?
Of course we are.
You got to do that.
So I was like being a sassy Karen and I was just emailing Kevin and be like, oh, Kevin, this is going to do wonders for the press tour.
We have to do this.
Get off your ass and sign off on it.
The next thing you know, she's jumping off buildings, bro.
That's exactly how that story went with that exact tone.
So, POT.
Perfect.
Perfect.
No, no notes.
No notes whatsoever.
PLD, man, you hear this.
Are you in for Florence Pugh playing Moneypenny?
Or are you like, I don't know if that really kind of fits her vibe.
Like, where do you see?
I mean, I'm in for anything that Florence P does.
Because, you know, French Pugh is Florence Pugh, and she's phenomenal.
However, I've got to say, the one thing about this is as a big Star Wars guy, as a Marvel guy, as a shared universe IP guy,
it does start giving me the feelings of, okay,
a new multi-million billion dollar corporation has the rights now.
We are going to spread out and make another big multiverse,
connected universe of shows and stuff,
and this is the one that's going to be the TV show.
There could be worse ones to do for sure, I guess.
But I'm excited because it's Florence Pew.
I'm excited.
It's an interesting angle to go out.
It kind of reminds me a lot of look when they did the Alfred series
for Batman and things of that nature.
But I feel like there's a lot more.
I would rather establish our bond first.
Let's get our bond first out of the way.
And then we can get into this kind of like other stuff at this point.
I mean, I guess we've got to develop it when you've got to develop it.
But at this point, let's let's get our bond first and then we will go through money.
No, that comment mixed with the face for Mike, knowing his bond route.
That's my God.
But didn't mean to throw you off.
I'm sorry.
Go ahead.
All good.
No, all good.
It's throw me off at all.
But I think that at the end of the day, like, it's exciting for who it is.
We'll have to see what happens.
But the one part I want to argue or talk about real quick is that if they don't have
her in the Bond series, and that's a huge mistake otherwise.
I mean, if you're going to have this show, be part of this universe, I mean, just put her
in the show and in the movies, rather, and Florence Pue would be an asset.
I mean, I think she would, too.
And I do know that MoneyPenny has been more involved in the last few Bond films and stuff
like that.
But I agree.
I think it's putting carp, that's putting.
in the cart before the horse. It's putting out a, not to take side swipes, it's putting out a
Supergirl before you put out a Batman. I just don't think that that is cool, awesome. And I get that
this is journalists and scoopers doing their job, but the fact that they are concerned about a
Moneypenny series before we have any inkling of what our next Bond film is personally seems like
a mistake. And if you're going to do that, I don't have a problem with you developing that,
but that really should be on the back burner. I shouldn't, you could let me know that Florence
Pew may be money, penny, but the idea of like, let's talk about a series, I really, I know this
always happened back in the day that studios would be kind of talking and thinking about, well,
what could this lead to the future and things like that? But I'm personally getting pretty tired of
hearing about side quests before I get to see anything of what the main quest is.
Legitimately, I'm sure some of the extended footage from GTA6 were showing us some side
missions, but a majority of that trailer, and any of the trailers that we've seen, not including
the extended look stuff, but most of the trailers are showing cutaways from the main story of stuff
we're going to kind of follow. And that's what you should do. You should not be focusing on
what is not the main reason we're here.
In my opinion, I don't know, man.
No, I agree. Also, curiously,
I didn't really hear anything in the artist. I read it before I did.
Maybe I missed it. It was Denise Villeneuve
at all. Like, if he's going to be heading up
Bond, he should be in charge of this as well,
or at least involved enough
that, like, he connects it to the world. Otherwise, like,
it feels like it's, especially right away.
I mean, you've got to have, if you're going to be the architect
of this universe, you better be in control of the
whole thing. At the beginning, at least,
then you kind of establish what you want your tone
to be. Then you can kind of, like,
other people into your playground, so to speak.
This is your tone.
If this is going to come out at the same time or even before,
then it better match where you want it to look like.
No, I fully agree with that, man.
And again, I'm not anti it happening.
Right.
I am just anti the idea of what feels like
everybody learning nothing from, say, the dark universe
or anything else like that,
or you're just, you're jumping head first into this stuff.
but we haven't established a foundation yet.
That's my only, that's my only little beef there.
I'm a little cynical nowadays, a little more cynical than I used to be.
So that's the product gets me.
Now, if this was the Star Wars universe, I'd be off for it, of course, right guys?
I mean, yes, yes.
You mean, my ArchD2 series or, you know what?
Bro, I mean, all we need is we need Ed Harris as Moneypenny and you're in.
All in, all in. Come on now.
And artists could play anything in IBM.
And he could play the fly on the wall in IBM.
Wow.
The fly on the wall.
He'd play the hell out of it, though.
I kind of feel like I want to watch you watch that.
I don't personally care for it,
but I would watch you watch that movie
just because I feel like you would really, really, really, really, really, really,
be into it.
And I was watched that fly.
Like no one else has watched anything before.
Like Mike watches Penny except for that my dick in my hand.
She, the AI sluts, what?
See, you can't be as on your thing because you're actually in the show with me.
You can't, you can't, like what you should be doing is out here clicking on stuff.
Walker told me I had eight.
But you weren't fast enough, bro.
You weren't fast enough.
You were sitting here with me instead.
They're going to get soft.
and I'm going to get harder.
Jesus Christ.
Oh, my God.
I didn't know that
that was saved.
Sometimes this show, man,
I swear to God, I just
be sitting here and these things
pop up and I'm just thinking. A titty shake
from the ladies? That's it.
I just, it's absolutely insane.
So what do you think, y'all? Should Miss Pugh go ahead
and money pukew it? Oh, my
God, what is wrong with it? Money, penny it up?
Or do you think we're putting, again, the cart before the horse?
I don't know. I would love to know what you think. Put it in the super chats, man,
and let us know what you're trying to see with some bond.
PLD, did we, I didn't see it in the email. Do we have anybody?
We need any ads? We need to play a thing. Yes, we do.
And I want to say before we get to the ads, we can do that now, but we are at 1780 right now.
We have jumped up. We are past the American, the American date.
We are going further. We're getting towards 1800. That's our goal to the
to get Christian to give us something special.
I have no idea what that is.
So I can't hype it up any more than that.
But also get those super chats in.
You can ask me anything you want about the behind the scene stuff in the show.
You can ask me stuff about the Shmowdown if you want.
I have a lot of history of the Smodown and questioning and all that kind of stuff.
I know a lot.
So yeah, take advantage of the fact that I'm here and Christian can't just shut me off screen.
He cannot, not this particular time.
And so y'all get those questions in.
We want to know it.
And until then, check out this ad from one of our sponsors.
There we go.
Cash up and goshy.
Like, yam, num, num, num, num, num, m, m, m'n, m'am, m'n.
I love snatch.
There's no way you don't pair the two of those together, bro.
Like, there's no way you don't pair the two of those together.
Connectivity.
It's all about connectivity.
I'll be honest, man.
I, I, this just goes to show that Christian really has done his marketing way too well for the pilot.
for the pilot.
When the cash app one was running and he goes, click on our link, I was like, bro,
is the new link, is the new promo code not hashtag Christian or the big thing?
It's now R link.
I'm like, come on, bro.
And I realized, no, he just, maybe he's been saying R so much like that that it just
naturally came out like that.
And I was just like, all right, you know.
Well, you know, he definitely has been doing a lot.
His mind's going a little bit.
I don't know if you noticed that before the show.
but he came out as a black man.
I don't know what's going on there, but
that was hilarious, man.
He was like, nah, bro, no, that's not.
Somebody was like, man, why are you making Winston
looking angry black man?
And Christian's like, ah, man,
he made that decision himself.
I am Winston.
La, la, la.
I'm like, bro.
Well, you know why, Roxy?
Because I'm racist.
That's why.
Oh, sweet black baby Jesus,
bro.
Nothing would be funnier than Christian.
Just out here in these streets.
And motherfucking Batman.
I'm motherfucking black man.
Just literally.
I would pay a lot of money to see that.
But, you know, he wants to get the show done, so maybe he shouldn't do that.
All right.
We, like you said, we are trying to get to 1,800 followers of the Kickstarter.
Again, it doesn't cost you a dime.
Right.
You haven't already.
You go to the Kickstarter.
It's in the description.
You follow it.
Again, the reasoning behind all that.
The more people that are following a Kickstarter campaign, it helps with the boost and the
advertisement and the numbers just say that you have more followers before your campaign starts,
you have a higher probability of hitting success.
So if you want to see our show happen, this is a small contribution you can do in order to
help make trending happen.
One click.
That's it.
That's all you got to do.
And of course, spend in those super chats, if you want us to be able to let PLD hold
this over Roka's head for the all of eternity, let's let the first time he's out here
actually be the time that he also wins.
That would be absolutely wild.
that's also hilarious we might be the only one safe from soundbikes whose fault is that i have said
some wild shit over the years anybody could have clipped me out but you know we are it is true
although i also say luke is backstage at one point so you never know what he's going to do
you could throw something in there that's that's also very true i just don't know shills
you know what luke you have offended me for the very last time mr cook and i and then
bitch.
Get the fuck out.
All right, fine.
Wow.
All right.
Hey, everybody.
No, I'm going to be the...
You disgust me.
Go on.
If I get the one shot, I'll be the black man now.
Wait.
Whoa.
Whoa.
What is your problem?
Well, you know why, Roxy?
Because I'm racist.
That's why.
Jesus, PLD.
What the hell are you talking about?
Who are you talking to?
I'm just going to go ahead and finish this news stories
because this is getting a little out of control over here.
We've got to talk about Weingott's offers a Thundercats film update,
the live action hybrid CGI Thundercats film adaptation.
Please don't be like cats.
It's still alive, according to filmmaker Adam Wingard,
the Godzilla versus Kong and the guest director currently is out promoting his new film onslaught
and has been attached to a film adaptation of the late 80s,
Rankin Base,
Rankin Bass animated series.
The Thundercat show revolved around a group of humanoid cats who must flee their planet of Thundera after it's destroyed.
Crash landing on another planet, Third Earth, they must thwart the evil sorcerer Mumrah, who was bet on killing them off.
Back in 21, Weingard became attached to develop the film, which he was co-writing with Simon Barrett.
Since then, there have been no real updates until this week when he told Polygon where it stands.
My career is kind of bouncing around, so different things have taken place.
president. But Thundercats is still kicking around. I think it's just a matter of time to really
re-concentrate and re-engage with it. We did a new draft at the beginning of this year. It wasn't too
long ago. And then things got put on hold for this movie Onslaught. So I don't really have any
exciting updates, but it's not dead. It lives. It's just not the number one thing I'm working on right
now. The project is separate from the project in the news back in June when Warner Brothers
Pinterest animation announced an animated feature film version of the property was an active
development. Recent failure of the live action
Masters of the Universe at the box office is probably
unlikely to help the live action
films case and eyes
will no doubt turn toward the Henry Cavill led
of Voltron and Sydney-Sweeney led Gundam
films coming in the next year or so we'll see
how they fare. So
PLD, I'm going to be honest with you because there was another
story that came out about
how Master of the Universe, everybody was going,
oh man, it did so well on streaming.
It, in that week time, since
it's happened, has dropped 50% as far
as numbers go, so people are already
like, ooh, uh, yeah, this isn't as much of a thing. So you hear this. Do you have confidence in
Thundercats actually happening? Or you're like, bro, this doesn't bode very well that we don't have
real production news and Masters has already backslid. I'm a little, I'm a little cynical now.
I'm getting more and more cynical to come to these things as well. I do, I love my niece
Atowinger. I think that I love the guest. I can't wait to see Onslaught. I love his Godzilla's
Kong. So anything he's involved in, I'm willing to give it a shot. However, I, I would,
was never a Thundercats guy myself growing up. It should be. I was right during my
day, as it were. This is not leading me very much confidence. It feels like the more we get
further away, the further way we get to it, the further way we're going to actually get from it
happening. But maybe they could pivot. Maybe they can make it streaming only. Maybe they can
salvage it. There's definitely going to be an audience for it. I just wouldn't want to risk a whole
lot of money on it right now, especially after Masters did what it did. I got to agree with
you man there is there is definitely going to be some hesitation that I would have um about about doing
anything like this just from the standpoint of like you said masters didn't do super hot i still stand by
i'm not saying you throw out 80s stuff no like i wouldn't go that far but i would say that there
is a level of i think if you're going to focus on older ipes you focus on the 90s right now i think that
the 90s is it's like
I'll be honest with you man
growing up like high school college
all the 80s themed parties and shit I'd be like
yo fuck ain't nobody care about
this shit y'all look goofy as hell go do some crack
get out my face like this is dumb
80s we did do a lot of coke
but
it depends on where you from
if you rich
you were doing you were doing the clear
the clear shit you were poe you doing
the crack shit I watched snowfall
god damn it I saw how that just took
over communities, don't do this.
But my point is, I just think, to be honest with you, the heyday of people that really
appreciated the 80s are not showing up necessarily to the movies in the same droves that
they were before.
And so you really want to look to, honestly, my generation of folks who would have been
90s kids, they're the prime age of not only wanting to see that nostalgia, but then also
to bring their kids with them to be like, oh, yeah, you got to check out this power
rangers.
this was my shit back in the day.
Absolutely.
I think that there's a spot for it.
Absolutely.
A spot for the 80s stuff still to exist.
But let's start making the bigger bangs on the 90s and beyond.
Let's kind of go with the times.
We could do absolutely do a Thundercast thing on Prime or something like that.
That is worth a shot.
Worth a shot trying at this point.
But let's start getting moved a little bit forward now.
Let's see what we can do with the next generation.
Yeah.
No, I feel that, man.
I think the other thing, though, that gives me a little bit of pause.
and somebody, I didn't realize this until somebody brought it up.
Adam Weingard does have like a really, like, pretty dope, sometimes, sometimes, like, dope filmography.
And then other times it's not so much.
Yeah.
And to know, I didn't realize that he directed Death Note.
I am now kind of like, you put enough pause in my brain that I'm like, I,
am not as much of a rush to see what happens here personally.
Man.
Obviously, he's done way more than that.
People have really enjoyed what he's done with Godzilla versus Kong and all that kind of stuff.
But that's enough for me to legitimately give pause and be like, I'm okay.
I don't need the Thundercats.
But honestly, guys, I'm curious what you think.
Are you trying to still see the Thundercats movie?
Is Adam the one that's behind it?
Do you think we should move on?
We want to know what you think.
get into those super chats, let us know where your head is at on all of this.
And we got to talk about this next story.
This was a pretty big one.
And I have a lot of big feelings on it, but I want to see where y'all are at, man.
Tom Cruise is confident in the Paramount Promise.
He said that he is confident that David Ellison owned Paramount Pitchers will follow through on its promise
to deliver 30 theatrical release to movies per year if it closes its deal with Warner Brothers Discovery.
The actor-producer was being interviewed by Pat McAfee on his show Tuesday afternoon,
where they discussed the newly announced Days of Thunder sequel, which will begin production soon.
McAfee asked about Ellison's promise to make 30 movies per year a pledge that cannot be enforced.
Cruz argues that Hollywood needs to create a lot of opportunity to ensure film survives.
I think it's awesome, you know.
Here's the thing.
They're going to deliver 30 movies.
It's a community to me.
It's not an industry.
The people in these studios are not just people in the studios.
they're my family. I know we're going to get those 30 movies. I want us all to come together as community to help make those 30 movies. It's not just going to be a paramount. It's not just going to be paramount doing it. Everyone's going to need all the help of every artist to do it. If we do well with those, those 30 movies are going to turn into 40 movies. It's not good enough that I just get to make this movie for me. I see so many talented people that I want them to have the opportunity to make the films that they want and be able to. These artists, all these.
these greats, they got to cut their teeth and learn in the same way that you get to act and you're
learning. You take it and the next one and then the next one. Every single one of them,
the inter, the inner, how do you pronounce this name, Alexander Inerratu? Inerratu? Okay,
the Inoratus, the Spielbergs, and Nolens, me, all the opportunities that I've had. I want that
for every writer, every director, every producer, every artist. And the only way you do it is we have
to create an abundance. Its production begets production. Comments come as the rap reports that the
group of 12 state attorneys general and the Writers Guild of America are asking the judge to deny
Paramount's requests that they post a 1.9 billion bond to cover the company's ticking fees and
other financial costs associated with the pending Warner Brothers Discovery merger.
All right, PLD. I spoke a lot of the, a lot about this with Rocha yesterday on Spilly.
tequila. So I want to hear your thoughts first before I kind of chime in.
What are your feelings about Tom kind of coming out and essentially being like,
yo, we got to do this, man. This merger is everything.
I feel like it's Tom Cruise looking in the eye and saying, you gotta trust me one last time.
Look, what I got to say about this? Wow, guy that's backed by Paramount fully is now
backing Paramount. I am shocked. I am shocked, into Gris. Holy shit. What is this Commonwealth
coming to.
It's going to happen.
That's what's going to happen at this point.
However, the only
thing I will add to that, the caveat I
will add to that is that Tom Cruise
legitimately loves movies.
I agree with that.
So if anyone was going to take Paramount
by the balls and go, okay, if you're going to say
we're going to make 30 movies, we're going to goddamn make 30
movies, it would be Cruz. However,
I don't know if he can do it anymore at this point.
He's getting older himself. He could probably get his
movies done. But 30 movies
is a big, tall task anyway.
And then there's always a talk of quality over quantity.
We can get 30 movies.
They might all be shit movies, but we can get 30 movies.
I'm not, I'm not, I am nonplussed by this argument.
Let's put that way.
I mean, for so many reasons.
I mean, the first thing is, again, anytime you do a merger, stop fooling yourself that
everybody's job is going to be safe.
That's not the case at all.
The minute Skydance bought Paramount, you know what they did?
They laid off roughly about 30% of their workforce.
So let's not sit here and pretend that a merger means that more jobs get created.
In fact, it does the exact opposite because now you had two HR departments.
You had to catering departments.
You had two medical departments.
You had two marketing departments.
You don't need both.
So you start making cuts.
You don't necessarily chop an entire secondary department, but all of a sudden you're looking at a scenario of like, oh, here are 50 jobs and 50 jobs.
We now have 100.
We're chopping that down to 60.
Right.
That's the type of shit that happens.
So first of all, it will lead to the lack of jobs.
The second argument, as far as they're going to make the 30 films happen,
if you go and look at the amount of movies that Warner Brothers and Paramount put out last year,
collectively, they put out 27 movies.
We did the count yesterday on the show.
So they didn't even make it to 30 when they were separate entities.
You're telling me now with less people on staff, because again, that's what happens with mergers.
You're going to somehow produce three additional movies.
I don't buy that for a split second.
And then the last part of it,
and this is the part that you're seeing
these attorneys general
and the WGA and everything else
pushed back against,
part of that other than those jobs
that you would lose
by merging these two companies together,
we already have an issue
where so much of the production
based off these studios
is moving overseas.
They're moving to London,
the shooting in New Zealand,
the shooting in Canada.
I'm not saying that I don't appreciate all that,
but there's a big focus
on trying to keep a lot of these jobs
either in Hollywood directly in California,
but at the bare minimum within the country,
just because of how big it means for our economy.
I also don't believe for a second,
if your goal is now to put more movies out there,
you didn't magically come up with more money,
other than maybe having to ask your investors to fork more over,
you're then also looking at a scenario of those jobs
are going to get shipped over,
or they're going to do other F-Shit,
like try and introduce more AI into stuff and things like that.
None of this reads like something that's actually a thing.
So I think I want to say I'm disappointed in Tom Cruise about this,
but I'm not surprised.
Tom has been as big of a star as he's been.
He's been able to do whatever kind of movies he's wanted to do for such a long time
and rightfully earned.
He's a star.
Right.
But this reads like, hey man, I'm in the party.
Come on.
The party's dope, y'all.
Don't worry about that stuff we got going on to the back.
That's not important.
All right.
Look, we chill it.
Just bring your ass in here.
I know you're protesting.
You're saying the noise levels,
a little loud.
We're keeping all the kids up.
They got school in the morning and shit.
Don't worry about that.
That's not.
Don't look over there.
Look right here.
Look at me.
I'm your guy, baby.
Mission impossible, bitch.
Like, I will jump off a roof for you.
I will dive into space for you.
I will do anything for you.
Back me.
Right.
He's a company man.
He's a company man at this point.
I mean, I understand that to a degree.
Paramount and him have had a great relationship.
Why would he change it now?
He's going to back his family, as it were, as he said, oh, that's, that's Den Diesel,
that's something else.
But, I mean, seriously, there's no world where he was going to not be on board, to be
on board, to be honestly.
So that's why I guess it doesn't move me very much, but it might move some people,
because TC legend is a legend for a reason.
Let's put that way.
There you go, man.
And so I'm really, I'm really, really, really curious, like, what is going to ultimately come of this?
Because there are, these stallouts are happening left and right that, like, I think the push for a lot of, like, the unions and for the attorneys general is the idea of you can bleed out the clock.
If you get to the point where then they have to start paying those fees, isn't it like $7 million a day?
It's something ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure they would have to pay $7 million a day in penalties to Warner Brothers if this thing doesn't go, if this doesn't go before the deadline, which I believe is the end of this month.
Yeah.
So I could just as easily see that this ends up going out okay, but I could also see that they end up in a scenario where they are having to do that for a little bit.
And so then it really just becomes, okay, we're playing chicken here.
Let's see what happens.
So I'm again, not surprised, but I am curious which y'all think, are you surprised by the,
Tom Cruise's comments or does this feel like part for the course.
Let us know what you think in those super chats, man.
Keep sending a man.
It's a little light today.
We're only at 14.
I'm trying to tell you right now if you want to let PLD, bro, if we do this,
do you understand that the next time Roka's on, PLD just gets to be in that bubble,
just harassing Roka the entire time.
That shit would be absolutely hysterical.
And in all honesty, I would be in the audience with you.
I don't even need to be on the show.
I would just sit there and laugh with all the rest of you.
because PLD would get to hold something over Roka.
So please send those in.
We would greatly, greatly appreciate it.
Let's get to this last story we got on the docket real quick.
And that is Christopher Judge on turning down God of War.
It took a while to get going,
but the Amazon Prime video's live action God a War series adaptation
finally went into production earlier this year.
Only for it to hit Choppy Waters in June
when its star Ryan Hurst was injured.
Hurst playing Cretos, the god-killing character,
of the games played memorably by Terrence C. Carson in the original Greek era games and former Stargate
alum Christopher Judge in the Norse era games that began in 2018. The latter is what the series is being
based on and some raise a question as to why Judge himself wasn't hired. After all, he's become somewhat
synonymous with the role and is still a working actor. Speaking at a recent panel at Fan Expo Canada,
Judge says initially he didn't want to do it because, well, he's 62 years old and the idea of
a 16 to 18 hour workday and constantly dining and working out held no appeal whatsoever.
He had a brief change of heart after speaking with his grandson, so we gave it a shot,
working out hard and reading for it, but quickly realized his body wasn't up for it anymore.
Yeah, we talked, and I thought, God, what a great legacy to lead for my grandson.
So I started working out.
I got bigger than just the reality of it because I did read.
I did read for it.
It was so hard for me to memorize my lines, which I never had a problem with.
And that was my mind and body starting to tell me, you don't want to do this.
I was one of the leads of Stargate at 33 till I was 44 and then stopped.
Now at 62 to be the lead, I just have no desire to live that way again.
With hers exit from the role, Dave Batista was recently hired to take on the part.
Judge was asked about the hiring and wishes he acted well, hoping Batista's health isn't sacrificed to the part.
With Ryan, I thought that was absolutely the right choice.
He played all the games.
He's a gamer and a new father.
Like, who better?
Then when he got hurt, it was like, are they going to take the time to read with and call people back?
So when I heard the name Batista, I thought, didn't he just lose 100 pounds?
So I hope he's going to be great.
I think he's going to be great.
I just hope it doesn't cause any health issues to put all that weight back on.
So all I want is whoever that he loves this character as much as we all do,
and he just lets it fly.
Don't be afraid of being emotional.
Don't be afraid of being soft or whatever.
As long as you lead with honesty and love, it's going to be great.
So I'm happy for him.
Ronald D. Moore serves a showrunner on the two-season series,
which is shooting both seasons back-to-back,
shooting resumes in mid-October in Vancouver so pld you hear christopher judge talking about why he was out
you know at 62 his grays were getting a little too gray for him and he decided i don't want to do
all that shit so uh what do you think man do you do you do you understand is you back is you back
just hurting hearing this story or or you know do you think there's a little bit more underneath
oh yeah i you hit the nail on the head there i'm like i i freaking breeds wrong and i like i
like pull my back out.
I can't imagine trying to do like big stunts and God of War sort of stuff.
Like that.
So Christopher Judge, man, bless him.
Bless him for that, actually, at this point.
I totally get it.
Now, my cynical mind occasionally will wander, and I'm like,
is he just kind of saying it's a safe face?
Did they really want him to back in?
They want the 62-year-old guy in there?
Yes, he is synonymous with it.
But they might see that too.
They might go, look at there's a 62-year-old guy.
They have shades of Robert De Niro and the Irishman.
he's getting too old to really be able to handle that kind of physicality. Maybe he can't do it as well
anymore. And that's no shade. We all get older. We all get older at some point. So it makes me wonder
if it's a little bit of saving phase on the, you know, maybe they're letting him do that.
You know, all right, well, let's just say that we'll say it was you that decided to move on. Sure.
At this point, it makes sense, though, that he's not involved. And he's going to be on board
to be able to help to keep the brand of positivity of going. Hey, that's going to help out the brand,
if nothing else. So I'll give it to him. Absolutely. And, and, and, I, I,
I think there is a duality here that was going on.
I do think that there's probably plenty of truth to the idea of, yo, 62.
I'm not trying to eat nothing but chicken, breast, and broccoli and try and push two plates at 62 years old.
I'm good, bro.
Like, I just want to watch the game that I like to watch.
I just want to kick it with my grandson, like, all that kind of stuff.
And to be honest with you, it is crazy how.
even for people that have made their entire life about memorizing lines, the older you get,
more stuff on your mind, more stuff stressing you out, it does get harder to be able to do as quickly.
So that's part of it.
I would be remiss to not bring up the fact that Christopher Judge, being black, how much bullshit
that would have brought up just in general.
And I think that there is a level of like, if he had given this insane performance,
what came in, jacked, and ready to go, and all that kind of stuff.
and really wanted it.
I can't believe that they wouldn't honestly consider him for it.
But I bet you there was somebody at the top that was like,
yo, unless he was like absolutely flawless,
who now we don't have to deal with the bullshit that people are going to run their
effing mouth.
You know what I'm saying?
Because people would have.
Like they even,
even if he was absolutely perfect,
they would have run their mouth because that is just the world that we live in
in this particular day and age.
Someone's going to say, why did you bring that up?
I'm like, because let's keep it a buck when it was first teasing.
as to where they were going to go.
People were already asking,
well, why wouldn't you offer it to Christopher?
And then people were like,
Hey,
uh,
in North,
where you,
Peter Nuongo,
like I just,
it's,
it's,
you know,
so.
I don't,
yeah,
don't know,
Peter Diango.
I like that.
It's like your wake out of a fever dream there.
Yeah.
No,
I'd have been pretty,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
who,
Oh, my God.
I had this dream that La Peter Nuango was Helen and Troy.
Oh, my God.
That would ruin the world.
The world would end if that happened.
Oh, my Jesus.
Thank you, Lord.
Anybody want to tell him?
Tell me what?
What happened, P.O.D.
I have to tell you that, La Pitoa Nongo, she did play Helm Troy.
Oh, son of a bitch.
And you know what?
The world might be ruined.
I don't know if it's a correlation or not,
but we're not doing that great anyway.
So I don't know what the correlation is.
No, but, but I, you know, I got to give him real talk.
I just got to give him, like, true, like, props for giving it what it sounds like the,
the honest of goodness college tried, like especially for his grandkids, because that's for,
because you're a dad, aren't you?
I am.
I am.
I have heard for those of us that have been blessed with, with progeny, that we, there is a
point where once that that little one comes in and especially the grandkids, everything really
becomes about your legacy and all that kind of stuff, you know? So I would have loved for that
for him and for his grandson like he mentioned, but I, but I think it's probably right that we went
with Patista. But he said he didn't want to do this working out shit anymore and yet here he
has to go right back into it. Yeah, what is that about? I'm kind of curious. How big was that bankroll
to get him to say, all right? I was going to say, whole brink's truck, bro. Like, like, like,
Literally all the money that was in the mob bank and dark night, they pretty much said take it all.
I feel like that's what happened.
Either that or maybe they promised him some like project he really wanted to do that he wasn't going to be able to do otherwise.
Give him one tip of dad as you were.
And on top of the fact that like, you know, he's talked about how much he loves gun, maybe there's something on the D.C. side of things where he started rethinking about getting back into shape, like into that kind of shape, just like, okay, maybe I can kind of do these two things at one.
piggyback on back on back to forth.
Yeah, absolutely.
But I got to believe if he is going to do anything like that,
it might be a smaller DCU thing where it's maybe a project or two,
because again, I doubt he wants to do this for another decade.
Because that's essentially what you would be signing up for is another decade.
If you're a major, major player, if he, like, came in and was like, like,
Dark Side.
Right.
Per se.
Right.
You don't necessarily, Darkside doesn't show.
the kind of like jacked physique, but he is large.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
You could cheat it the way Brolin kind of did with Thanos.
Like he was still, you know, this is, this is, this is, this is a, sorry, my brain short circuit for a second.
Brolin wasn't like most jacked guy in the world, but they were able to like, you know, make it look well.
TGI can do anything these days, you know, a little bit.
But you got to have at least the basis for the CGI to work.
otherwise it just looked crap.
Thank you.
That is what I was trying to say.
That's what I'm here for, man.
I got you back.
I just, I had a full brain part.
I think part of it is that I know better.
I'm not supposed to be looking at the comments while I'm talking.
And I did.
And someone specifically asked this.
They said, I can't seem to find punness to talk about this, but you're a gamer.
Why didn't they do the Greek saga before the North Saga?
That's a great question.
I did not because, if I remember correctly, God of War, the OG dropped on, was it
PS2 or PS3?
I thought it was PS3.
They all blend together with me now, to be honest with that.
They kind of, because PS2 was around for so long.
Right.
I want to say it was PS2, and I just never got into the games,
and then they kind of went forward.
My guess of them going this particular direction is both, A,
they did see some pretty decent success with the Norse reboot that went,
and B, I think they were probably really excited about the tale of the father-son element,
and they wanted to kind of tap into that it was the PS2 era.
Okay.
That's what I thought.
It was the very end.
That's why.
That was literally why it was the tail end of the PS2 era.
So I think that's probably why as foundational as those original games were for sure.
I think because this was closer, they're probably just like, hey, let's do that.
We can go with the kid, all that kind of stuff.
I think that's probably why they ended up doing that.
I mean, we love our father and son's stories these days.
You're wearing one on your shirt right there for me.
Thank you.
I'll have the father and our father and kids story.
You last of us.
things. And this is kind of a big lone wolf and Cubs kind of just coming back to
Starfighter next year. Another Star Wars story with another
Loan Wolf and Cubs type storyline. It's fair player right now. It seems to be something that
some people want to make and people kind of respond to. So yeah, no, I fully agree with that,
man. So, but yeah, we're curious. Oh, oh, sorry, PLD.
What were you saying? I want to say we are still at 1782. We need you guys to just sign up

Yeah, I heard that POD might actually just be shipped off somewhere
if we don't hit that 1800.
So there's also,

but yeah, no, please, please, please, please, real talk. If you want to, if you want to find a way to
support trending, uh, aka our show, man, that is an easy free way to do it. It's just to follow.

any stories we didn't talk about.
We're all happy to talk about that as well.
Let's get those in there.
Got some things in there.
I see somebody in the chat.
I was watching the chat too.
I'm usually paid to watch the chat.
You know, Dragon Lance.
Some people are talking about Dragonlance.
I love Dragon Lance.
Give me some loving guys.
Absolutely.
We'll give you some time to send in some more super chats.
I got one more breaking story that I saw.
All right.
Let's talk it.
Right now, I wanted to check this.
George Clooney has come in
to speak on the merger.
defends Mark Ruffalo's ability to speak freely about the Paramount Warner Brothers deal
and doesn't see how the merger financially ends up making any sense.
Life really does imitate art.
George Clooney attended last year's Venice Film Festival with Jay Kelly,
a comedic drama in which he portrayed an aging A lister who travels to Italy to receive
a life achievement award.
Now the actor is getting a real Venetian tribute accepting the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement
Award on the festival's opening day.
Before his big honor, Clooney sat for a press conference on Wednesday morning and addressed
range of topics including the fraud state of politics in America, the rise of AI, and Paramount's
ongoing attempt to merge with Warner Brothers. He also defended Mark Ruffalo, who was accused
by Paramount of anti-Semitic tropes after the Marvel Star attacked the deal over its potential
consequences for Hollywood and accused the Ellison family of being complicit in the genocide
happening in Palestine. David Ellison is CEO of Paramount Skydance. I support Mark Ruffalo's ability
to speak freely, Clooney said. It's ridiculous. We're not going to ban speech. I believe
even free speech, even when I completely disagree with it, that's important. In fact, it's part of
how democracy works. Klooney called the pending merger a complicated thing and suggested he doesn't
know how it works out. I don't see how the merger financially ends up making sense for the people
who are trying to do it. We'll see. I worry when a big company swallows up another company. I
always worry whenever big companies are consolidating because it means a lot of people are going to
lose their jobs. Thank you, George. On the topic of AI, Klooney predicted that it's going to be a very
part of this industry and worries that it's going to hurt in a lot of ways.
He expressed a concern, he expressed a concern about the complications that AI posed with,
that AI will pose for actors, cracking that I would like to avoid being in a tampon
commercial 20 years after I did.
He was also probed about the state of journalism.
We're really kind of focusing on the film stuff.
that's all interesting, but we'll kind of do all of this.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Career Honor.
I have two nine-year-olds, new oceans.
Okay.
So POD, I mean, again, the lines are being drawn in the sand here.
Obviously, Tom Cruise is like, no, jump it on the couch.
Go, murder, come on, 30 movies.
And George is like, I don't know how that works.
I feel like people going to lose their job, bro.
Like, I mean, what do you think seeing a motherfucking Batman on the opposite side?
of this? Well, I've got to say
Tom Cruise was interesting because
he hadn't really spoken out so much and I wasn't sure
exactly where he, I mean, you kind of could tell
where he was going to land, but
he was a little more in the middle
as far as we knew. This is
a different side of things because we knew where George Clooney
was going to land for sure. He's always going to be on this
side. This has been his MO for a long
time as well. However, I think it's good
that he does it now because Mark Ruffalo,
rightly or wrongly, I'm not going to get into the rightly
or wrongly of it, he's definitely been kind of penned
at this, like, as this extremist
he's out there doing all these things and saying all these things and making everybody angry
you're ruffling some feathers and you know good for him if that's what he wants maybe that's what
he wants to have happen George Clooney on the other hand is still coming across as kind of this
more elder statesman more of the I am knowledgeable about the situation this is these are the facts
I'm not trying to get everybody up in arms but I need to make my voice clear I think that is a
good combination you get somebody rabble rousing out there like Mark and then you have George
kind of doing it a little more elder statesman like I think it's a good thing
to see him come out and say his mind.
And it is true.
We all have the ability to speak our mind.
We all have the right to speak our mind.
We all have the right to get these opinions out there.
Tom Cruise does.
Mark Ruffalo does.
George Clooney does.
But George has a way of always sounding, just kind of like intelligent, educated,
not like extremist.
He just kind of, you want to like sit down and have a beer with the guy.
So like it feels like that's a good, that's a good voice to have out there on your side.
I mean, I agree with that, man.
Like I think, you know, as we have said a million times, you know,
he's he's he's not george cluny he's mr amall like you know what i'm saying like she like i i love
that it feels like his his his his wife as much as of an activist and a human's right lawyer
humans rights lawyer that she is has kind of encouraged george to to speak out himself a little bit here
and i think that that's spot on and what he said i don't look at mergers when is a merger ever produced
more jobs. I don't really know how this works one way or the other. And I love his humor,
like you said, as the elder statesman. And that's why to me, I don't think he was a great Batman,
but I do think he was a good Bruce Wayne because he has that playboy attitude of just like,
I don't want to be in a tampon commercial 20 years after I'm dead. That's genuinely a pretty
funny Bruce Wayne-esque thing to say, to be honest. 100%. 100.
So, yeah. I'm going to throw some waves here. I'm going to throw some waves out there. Maybe somebody
super chat on about this.
I have,
you know,
people say I have bad taste sometimes.
It's true.
Speaking of George Clooney,
I would actually rank Batman and Robin
above Batman returns
for the entertainment value
I get out of that movie.
That's late.
I'm not falling for that.
You think,
you think I'm going to give you a real,
a real fucking response to that shit?
Are you out of your mind, bro?
You have offended me
for the very last time, Mr. Cook.
Like, I'm not falling for that, PLD.
Nice try.
You really tried it
To be honest with you.
And if I'm looking, okay, someone did put in a super chat, I thought maybe it was specifically tied to that.
It wasn't.
But that is hilarious.
I thought for half a second that it was going to be like, you know what?
I agree with PLB.
That is lovely.
Also, what is this?
The one of the fall?
Oh, that's Roxy from speaking of Fall 2.
She's in Fall 2 coming out.
So that was one of the videos they were making to produce the, to promote wrote that movie coming out.
So she's involved.
Good for her.
We love to see that.
Awesome. No, I love that. I just didn't know if, like, she was going to say something wild.
So I was just like, I was going to click on this and see what happens. Like, I was honestly expecting Roxy to come in.
Like, I just literally thought that that's what was going to happen. I mean, it's not actually hasn't done it before.
Talk?
I mean, that is a good point. That is a bit.
Nom, no, no, no, no, no, no. Just like that. Oh, man. All right. Well, let us know what you think, y'all.
What is your thoughts on George Clooney, kind of pulling the polar opposite of Tom?
Tom Cruise, are you on?
Which side are you on?
How do you feel about the merger?
Let us know in those super chats, man.
And again, please, please, please, if you haven't already, go to the Kickstarter.
It is in the description.
Just give it a follow.
That is all that we are asking at this particular moment.
If we get 2000, how close are we right now?
You're at 1700.
Yes, we are at 1784.
So we're getting there.
Keep going, guys.
Keep going.
We're almost there.
Keep going.
Yeah.
Do it to spite me.
Do it to spite me.
Yeah.
Do it, do it despite it.
That's hilarious.
But yeah, I, I, that is an easy way that you can, can help.
Obviously, please send to the superchets.
We appreciate that as far as today.
But that is the main thing that we're trying to push right now.
We really appreciate that.
So let's start getting into them.
We only have 19 right now.
So, you know, if we get through all these questions, the show might end pretty early today.
So if y'all want to stick around and chop it up, man, keep sending them in.
We appreciate you.
Straight Edge, Night 19.
Yo, Winston, off topic, but I'm just curious.
Which Batman movie do you prefer?
The Dark Night of the Batman?
I prefer the Dark Night, personally.
Trade Age Night, thank you so much for this.
I saw you put the comment on one of my videos.
I was actually going to reply to you on that today.
But for me, it's the Dark Night.
I think the Batman is good.
It's too long.
The Dark Night is also a long movie,
but the Batman is, like I think the Dark Night is caps out at about 240.
if I remember,
whereas the Batman, I believe,
is like 310, 315.
And it was a very good movie,
but it wasn't like blow me away.
That's the greatest thing I've ever seen enough
to get excited about sitting down
to another three-hour movie
because I love Infinity War and Endgame.
And I'm at that stage where I'm like,
I got to be in the mood to re-watch one of those.
And so to watch anything over three hours.
I've really got to that spot
where I'm just like,
do I really want to commit to that,
now. So that'll be my answer. The Dark Knight plus, if you're just taking things shot for shot,
pound for pound, as incredible as the performances were in the Batman, nothing in either movie
is touching what Ledger did. Like, not even remotely close. And that puts it in such a high regard
that it's going to be really hard for anything else to kind of to shift away.
I would argue it's a little close for me. I think the Dark Night, I like, I like, probably,
I'm going to go to the Dark Night as well. I do think that Dark Night can get a little, a little sloppier
towards the end more than people we can, I think we kind of like over-lineize it now.
Like there's some, definitely some faults to it.
But I also say that Batman is good and it's great.
However, it just felt like, it felt like a Nolan light version.
It kind of felt like we're doing the same thing.
We're going to continue on the same kind of journey.
Almost like what if year, like year two of this,
or Robert Pattinson playing the role.
I preferred the idea, which is why I'm hoping Gunn does this or whoever does it,
whoever does it next.
I want to see a more fantastical Batman.
Let's give me the Mr. Freeze's, the Penny, the Penny in the Batcave kind of thing, all that kind of stuff.
I just want to see a little bit of a different take instead of doing like, let's just continue on the Nolan version of it.
Let's make something different and everything else.
I mean, it's not that it's the same, but overall, I think the Dark Knight did it first and probably did it a little bit better.
Fair.
So apparently I overcooked on the runtimes.
Apparently the Dark Night is 2.32, 2 hours and 32 minutes.
and the Batman is 256, so it's actually four minutes short of three hours.
It felt like it was 315.
Again, not because it's not good.
It is.
I would make the argument that Pattinson is a much better Batman as far as like Batman.
Yeah.
I prefer between the two bail, but if we're talking about the detective element and everything else like that,
I think Pattinson's Batman, how that was written, how that was performed was better.
but I think the pacing, I think the villain, not that the Riddler wasn't interesting, I think he was, but it was giving me a time.
Like, I felt like they wanted to dive in the court of owls and do that whole underground, like, evil Gotham thing.
And they kind of twisted it in their own little thing, which was enough for me to go, I like this.
But I just want the court of owls.
Don't, don't, don't sort of cord avows me.
Cord of owls me, God damn it.
Like, we haven't seen that before.
Well, it's actually great argument there.
It's like the Dark Night Rises versus what we got, the animated version.
The Nightfall Part 1 that just came out.
I don't know if you got a chance to watch that yet.
Not yet.
I'm so excited.
That's actually what I'm doing this weekend.
Nice.
It's exactly that kind of thing.
This is like that's giving us the true Nightfall storyline.
And it was really well done, by the way.
I appreciate it quite.
I can't wait for part two.
Part one.
And I'm not going to spoil it.
But it was like great tense moments.
And like, I was actually like, well, this is actually making it terrifying.
I'm loving what they're doing here.
I mean, are they staying pretty accurate?
because I know I've, okay, then then you're not going to really spoil anything for me because I've actually read Nightfall many a time.
But I, but I'm still excited to see what they do with the movie.
It's like definitely streamlined obviously because they had like how many different issues.
I mean, the storyline itself lends itself to being, we have a lot of little stories you can tell.
When Arkham Asylum, this is not a big spoiler here, but Arkham is like blown up earlier on in the movie and all the villains come out.
And so we have all these different villains that Batman wants to take care of.
So that lends itself to these kind of like great comic storylines where we can do that in the comics.
So it's obviously streamlined for an hour and 20 minute movie,
but it's streamlined efficiently well, I think.
Okay.
I am 100% here for it.
Ooh, everybody.
I don't know if people also buy movies and TV shows on Apple like I do,
but I just for a second wanted to go ahead and like,
just like while you were talking,
I was like, I got a split second.
I'm going to get Nightfall like bought so I have it because I would want that.
Guys, they are selling the whole of Fresh Prince,
the entire series for $15.
Wow.
Don't say I didn't ever do you any favors, all right?
If you are a fan of the Fresh Prince of Ballet or the entire series for 15 bucks on Apple right now, there is your deal of the day.
Paco San Miguel 74 with them high fives in the jewels form.
Appreciate that, Paco.
Thank you so much, my friend.
We are at 1787, guys, 1787.
We're getting up there, getting closer.
Let me text Christian saying we get that.
Go, come on.
We're getting closer and closer.
Please, please, please.
That would be absolutely incredible.
Unheard Sirens Incorporated, 236.
Hey, guys, Winston, not sure if you have a role in our show yet, but if you could cast yourself in it, what type of role would you want to play?
To answer that question, the original iteration of the script, I read it a long time ago.
Christian did actually write a role for me.
I can't really say much as to what it is.
To my knowledge, the role still exists, but it's been downshifted.
out of the pilot to streamline everything.
And the role comes up a little bit later.
But it is something that is closely tied to Christian's character as far as their relationship,
like a working relationship and stuff like that.
But yeah, I don't want to say more because I don't feel like I have the full liberty to do so.
But what he wrote was pretty damn funny.
And I was excited about it.
And, you know, if the show really gets to go forward like he wants to,
I think it would be absolutely awesome.
but I would love to play.
I'll say that much.
It's very funny.
I'll put it that way.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
I mean, Chris was out,
Chris Carr was out here,
excelling your virtues about your performance.
Was she?
Yeah, yeah.
She came to my Shakespeare, man.
That's amazing, man.
That's,
that's,
I am,
I was blown away by the fact that her and her husband,
Logan, came to the show.
Logan wasn't feeling super hot.
They were supposed to come to the first night.
And then he was feeling better by our final performance,
And so there they were in the front row.
And it was actually a really funny moment where I'm supposed to go and I'm giving this monologue as Malvolio.
And I'm kind of bloviating about what will happen if I become this count and all this kind of shit.
And I look down first at Chris and Logan because they're in the front row.
And I look at her husband and he winks at me.
And I've had people do that before.
Right.
And it has never affected me.
But because I'm in the middle of Shakespeare and I'm in the middle of one of the more common.
complicated, like, bloviating set of line.
Fully lost my line.
So I had to be like,
but it's beyond me.
And then I just immediately walked over to the other side,
like just made some shit up and walked over the other side of the damn audience, bro.
I was absolutely dying on the inside.
And then I came back and I always picked a woman, like, in the front row.
So I found Chris and I, like, took her hand and gave, again,
this kind of bloviating kind of speech.
And Chris was just...
the whole time when I was like, thank God you're just nodding and not trying to fucking break me.
As someone who has done some stage work himself, I get that.
I've also had those kind of moments where like you see somebody.
I've had motherfuckers in college who tried to break me when I was on stage, of course.
That's the worst part where they're trying to make you laugh.
They're trying to eff you up, dude.
Trying to eff you up.
Because I, because I don't remember if I showed up.
Did I show a photo of me doing a, doing a show?
I think I did.
You did.
Yes.
The one of the day grew up front and they're kind of down.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
So, no, it was a good time, man.
It was a good time.
All right.
Let's keep it pushing.
Ron H.
Ebony and PLD.
Oh, let's fucking go.
POD, out there bubble.
I mean, we could put him back.
Like, hey, there he is.
Look at.
There's that.
There I am.
Hey, you can't put me back in now.
I popped out for the day.
Fine. I guess I'll let you out of your cage.
They're going to get soft.
And I'm going to get harder.
Ron H. coming back in, getting fingerprinted today.
And hopefully for the last time, 50 plus years, clean.
Then boom.
Ron H. Trumbaker.
Thankfully, I haven't hit convict.
Sir.
What did you do?
Disorily conduct, Ron H.
Well, you out here smoking that Hollyweed,
and you got a little bit into a little fight.
Pants off.
That's all you guys said.
Definitely something involving his pants off.
Oh, my Lord. Ron H. coming back. Like Roca, Ron H. going to get hard.
They're going to get soft. And I'm going to get harder.
My, my God. What a, what a comment, I will say. Go, pal. I wasn't a fan when they put money penny in the field and she shot Bonn and Skyfall.
And though I'm not as big on Florence Pugh as others, she's always good. That's fair. I love Florence Pugh.
I think she is an incredibly talented actress.
I think she's fine as hell.
I think she's hella funny.
So I'm here for it.
I guess that's just it.
I didn't mind money penny in the field.
And I liked the idea that she wasn't like,
if I remember, she wasn't like super like,
I'm fucking ready for that.
She was kind of scared.
She was like, why?
Just out of like, why do I have to do this?
But to that point,
I'm not saying that Florence couldn't because she's a good actress.
she's a fantastic actress.
I just don't see her as like a kind of meek, mild-mannered secretary.
I see her more of if she was going to do it, she would play an agent.
We've literally seen her be a black widow.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
So Ron H., given my most recent problems,
I will be cutting down my cannabis use.
So expect a more boring Ron H.
I can still keep my pants off, though.
Look, I respect it, man.
I myself partake.
partake in the devil's lettuce every now and again in order to catch a little sleep or enjoy a movie a little bit more.
But I also, especially doing Shakespeare, have been cutting back because I was realizing, oh, man, it is affecting my memorization abilities and stuff like that.
So I've got much respect for you, man.
It doesn't mean you don't enjoy every now again, but it might be a good idea for both of us to just take a little bit of break.
If our lungs, a little bit of a break, you know?
There you go.
that thou foul
Yankee with another high five
Thank you appreciate that
Ron H coming back
Victory for PLD and Ebony
Let's go
Thank you Ron H we appreciate it
Up to 23 y'all keeps sending them in
We appreciate you
Ron H coming in again
There should be a T-mo version
Storm Pussies
Oh
Instead of Thundercats
That
Lightning snatch
Lightning Snatch.
Lightning Snatch.
Lightning Snatch.
Hoh.
Oh.
Oh, thundercunt.
Thundercunt.
Thundercunt.
Thundercunt.
Yoshimitsu.
Think of following the Kickstarter like wish listing a steam game.
Yes.
You get notified when it goes live and the project gets more visibility on the site.
That is exactly what that is.
That Yoshimitsu.
There he is.
There's my guy.
Yeah, that's he's spot on.
That's exactly what it is.
So please do that if you haven't already.
How much closer are we to that 1800 mark?
Still 1787.
Come on, guys.
You can do it.
You can do it.
I was already following it, man.
Otherwise, I would just do that and try and help out.
Ron H.
Coming back, Paramount House Party with Tom Cruise, kid and play.
Oh, Lord.
Oh, Lord.
Tom Cruise and the House Party reboot.
Jesus.
Plus, last I checked, I feel like Kid wasn't looking so good.
I did see a more recent picture that I believe you are correct.
You might be a little bit hurting at this point.
I mean, we all are, so I don't want to say anything too much.
No, no, no.
I don't want to hate, but I know I'm just, I know that he was, he was,
he was like going through some things, if I remember correctly.
Correct.
I believe you're correct.
Yeah, unfortunately.
But, hey, I'm there for Tom Cruise house party.
Let's say it.
Why not?
Good Lord.
You can make him come in his character from Tropic Thunder, bro.
Yes, Les Grossman.
Come on.
Yeah, have him come in as grossman.
That would be funny.
Go pal.
Paramount keeps making Tom Cruise movies with big butt with giant budgets that don't make
their money back.
Why would he rock the boat?
Got a point.
Absolutely.
They keep putting them out.
That's a good point.
Ron H.
Looking forward to Batista.
Boy.
Yeah, I honestly think Batista will do a fantastic job.
I think Batista.
Okay, here's a question.
Of all of the rest of the rest of the rest of the rest of the.
wrestlers turn actors.
Let's do a start bench cut.
Instead of doing all of them,
we'll do a start bench cut of the rock,
Sina, and Batista.
Start bench cut.
I mean, it kind of depends on the project,
but if you're talking about pure acting,
I think, honestly, Batista wipes the floor theater too,
easily.
He is definitely the best actor of the bunch.
John Sina in a comedy role
is actually highly undefined.
rated still, I feel like. He has a sense of comedy that is really unmatched. The rock has a
charisma and an energy, but I kind of feel like it's almost past him by because it feels like
he's done the same schick for a long time. He's going to always play the rock and, you know,
it worked for a while and now kind of feels like it's not working as much anymore. He does
have a good performance. He did the, uh, the MMA movie he just did. Great performance.
Yeah, the, the smashing machine. Smashing machine, absolutely. And he has had a good performance. He
moments like that. And I'm hoping that he turns more to that because he could come back and
be a solid actor. You got to do that whole way. One for you, one for me kind of thing. One big
action-packed star-studded master class like that. And then go back and do a smaller movie
to establish your acting credit again. That's what you got to do. But Dave Petitser right now
is head and neck above everybody else. Yeah. If you're if you are going full like,
I don't know if I'm, oh, okay, he disappeared for a second.
I don't know if that was me or you.
If you're going full box office, like catalog, of course it's the rock.
The movies he's been in, et cetera, et cetera.
His highs have been pretty high as far as that goes.
But yes, if you're talking straight acting ability before the smashing machine,
I'm going start Batista, bench, Sina, cut the rock.
After the smashing machine, I'm going start Batista.
bench rock cut Sina, but it's still close.
And it's only because I finally got to see the rock outside of his element.
And he did a good job.
But I would want to see more than just the one.
And the thing that he's like really obsessed with,
I would want to see him really stretch further.
I've seen Batista stretch multiple times.
I've even seen Sina start to stretch a little bit.
But I think that's it.
I really would want to see him continue to,
who show us these acting terms.
Because I would say then doing a Moana undid a lot of goodwill, in my opinion.
Because it felt like through most of that movie, he was phoning it in, in my opinion.
And definitely stretching as a goal.
I mean, Penny Barber are some great movies where she's stretched.
But let's move on.
Let's go on.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
You know, she meant to.
Batista is going to be.
really good for older Credos in Norway.
I wish we were getting young Cretos in Greece, though.
Bless you.
Excuse me.
Yeah, no, I agree with that.
I think he will be good for older Credos for sure.
But again, I go back to, he's really going to put those work out.
I mean, he's going to have to.
And I hope he's safe and he, you know, he's actually enjoying that.
That's the same one thing.
I think people like, we mentioned that for once in a while.
We have like, I know, like Christian Bamos talked about when he did Batman versus
the machinist back to Batman.
It's not the easiest thing to do.
I mean, they make it look easy, but it's not easy.
And it's hell on your body.
So as you're older, I mean, hell, I'm older.
I have a hard time getting more back in shape when I get back.
If I fall a little bit out of shape, it's much tougher to get back under shape at my age.
So I'm sure Patis is the same thing.
No.
Well, especially that level of shape.
That's like elite athlete level of shape.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm having a lot of time with a mini level of shape.
I'm just trying to stop being round.
They're trying to get like six.
snacks. I'm like, God, like, I'm, like, not trying to be a sphere, bro. I just want to be a pyramid.
Like, I don't know, that's it. That's hard as shit. Right.
Go, pal, mumble, mumble, mumble, bad and boozy.
Bad and boozy. Huh?
Bad and boozy? What you say?
Bad and booge. What?
Bad and boozy.
Dude, that's one of my favorite, that's one of my favorite moments on the internet.
It was before academics became a piece of shit, too.
So it was really funny, bro.
I have a little.
Ron H. Winston, PLD, get on that Hollywood.
Now, Ron, boy, you just said you were cutting back on the Hollywood.
Why are you coming back in with a Hollywood?
Focus, my God.
Focus.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Ron H.
PLD loves them bat nips and Schumacher.
You know what?
Don't start rubbing your bat nips.
Jesus Christ, bro.
I'm going to defend myself real quick.
I just want to throw it out there.
People, I think people still don't understand that Batman and Robin was like this play on the 1966 Adam Westwood.
That's kind of what it was.
The updated version of that.
I grew up, that was my favorite show as a kid.
The pal, the band, boo, all that stuff.
I loved that stuff.
So seeing that, if you understand that, I understand coming off the Keaton stuff and Batman Forever.
It's weird to do that in a series that's already been going on.
But I look at it as a standalone.
When I go back to it nowadays, I go, you know what?
I can have a lot of fun watching the back credit card,
watching Arnold Schwarzenegger and say his quips.
That kind of stuff makes me laugh.
So that's why I will back Batman, Robin.
It's just a hair over rewatching Batman Returns,
which by problem with Batman Returns is that it's burden unleashed.
It's too much burden, and not enough of the raining in.
Batman 89, my favorite Batman movie of all time,
and that was the perfect level of burden of Batman.
I take returns over 89.
People say I'm crazy for that.
But I take, I take, I go, I personally, it's going to be wild.
I go forever, Batman and Robin returns 89.
Wow.
If we're talking about purely made movies.
And I'm going in trouble.
Then I would go returns 89 forever Robin.
Okay.
But if we're talking about my enjoyment and like, when I was watching these movies
and things like that, it goes.
Batman forever. That one is just fully cemented.
You got Kiss from a Rose, Jim Carrey doing his Jim Carrey thing, all that kind of stuff.
Then Batman and Robin again, I was huge into Robin, but Dick Grayson specifically.
And so getting more of the character was fun.
And the fact that you don't have Robin is just automatically going to take it down a notch for me.
So that, but we're just talking about those four movies.
Yeah.
The minute you start getting to Nolan and what went on with the Batman, they can all take a seat.
They can take multiple seats.
But yeah, that's, that's me.
I'm sure some people think I'm crazy, but it is.
I do like, I made 89 over the Nolan movies, only because I'm a comic book Batman guy and no one's is so grounded.
And it was a great idea to do the grounded version.
I'm not, I'm not saying it's a bad idea at all.
It was very interesting to do it that way, and I appreciate what he was doing.
But if I want to watch a Batman movie, I can prefer a little bit more of the fantastical side of things.
That's like the 89 one work well for me.
I mean, if we were going to do a fantastical villain, that's the thing.
He has a lot of mob bosses and then just psychos that hang with mob bosses or dressing clown outfits.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, it's unless you're doing poison ivy or Mr. Freeze, I don't care.
You know.
And Harris for Mr. Freeze.
Let's go.
There you go.
Go, pal.
I heard of motherfucker.
I didn't hear what you said.
And now I did.
Jesus Christ,
Galdi.
Go, pal.
I have almost no memory of Batman and Robin or Batman Forever.
But the Batman Forever soundtrack was,
Fire. Flaming lips, bad days
is particularly underrated.
Also,
I think it was,
was it you to a red hot?
I think it was you to the...
Oh, me, kiss me, kill me.
Yeah, you too.
That song is...
Ah,
Dill, bough, do, bado, do, do,
but don't go. Do, do, but do, bong,
go, don't, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we,
yeah, we, we...
Bringing down and mumbo, man up at it, boozy.
Oh, dude, oh, God.
Love that soundtrack.
So, my...
P-L-D, I miss soundtracks.
Oh, yes.
Scoring is fun.
Scoring is important.
It pulls you in, but I miss...
You get a soundtrack.
You immediately start hearing a song that you heard on the radio
or you had on your playlist,
and then you were right back in the movie, bro.
Even more.
still kind of feel like we've had kind of a return
a little bit to these like sound clips
and get these old songs put in movies and that's kind of
work. I like the idea back in the day, Kiss from Rose
written for the movie.
Like you get those songs, they get soundtracks that have
some popular song, but some songs are
specifically tied to that movie, not to
anything else. It elevates the movie.
The Crow from 1994,
that soundtrack was banging. It was all about
all sorts of 90s stuff
was great for a second. Dude, dude.
I'm fucking legally blonde.
So that is my fiance's favorite movie of all time.
I'm sure you remember at the start of that movie,
it's the song Perfect Day.
Wake up a little after 12.
It's a perfect day.
Dude, the other day, she didn't get her alarm.
She hates the song now.
She still loves the movie.
She hates the song because she's like,
oh, my God, you can make it my alarm.
And I said, yeah, she said, oh, my God, please.
Now she hates it because it wakes her out of sleep.
And she's like, whoa, this.
but one day she didn't hit the stop button fast enough
and it got almost to the chorus
and I was like
I'm gonna watch motherfucking legally blonde a day
I literally got I got up
and then she came up she went to the bathroom
she came out of the room she was like
oh you just did this is your alarm now too
I said no I'm watching the movie
and she goes what
that's what does it man
look at a great way you're selling the show now
you're selling your movie
a thousand percent
and so I do I do miss that
a thousand percent
Absolutely.
Okay, we did that one.
Railroad tie, broke boy today, y'all.
But here's a little love.
Appreciate that, man.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Ron H.
Would love to vape some cannabis with the sleepio,
low gun, and winning the paranoid,
make it happen, guys.
Come to Montreal.
Eventually.
I got to go to Mexico and do my whole wedding and shit.
So I got to do that first before I go anywhere else.
have been to Montreal.
A couple of times I went up with my,
I'm in upstate New York, so it's not too far from me.
But I went up and I partook in the Canadian ballet.
Do you know what that is, Winston?
That's the Canadian bird.
That's the Canadian strip clubs up there.
So in the same way that a Canadian tuxedo is wearing all denim,
the Canadian ballet is going to the strip club.
That's hilarious.
Yes, that is very fun.
I got to say my wife is very open with that.
We had to wait there.
and I got a lapidazer or some girl.
And she wanted to go further.
And I was like, well, I can't do that.
My wife's right there.
Come on.
Hey, it's like, bro, she let me have the lap dance.
Why are you pushing this?
Right.
Why are you pushing this?
You negotiate with my wife, but I'm not doing that.
If that's what you want to do, you convince her that a titty shirt from the ladies is okay.
But I'm not asking that question.
Are you out of your mind?
Absolutely.
I mean, I do love snatch.
But that's enough at this point.
It's all Yankee, man.
I'm too old for Harry Potter, but today's HBO teaser comes up okay.
You know, we talked about this.
We debated whether or not we were going to talk about it on the show.
I'm happy for the people that are happy for it.
It looks like it'll be well done,
but I don't catch any vibe of something brand new that really got me excited to go run back into the world.
I think we'll get more out of it because it's a TV show.
So some of the stuff that was stripped out of the books for time,
we get to explore that a little more.
And I do, I love Daniel Ratcliffe.
He's one of my favorite actors.
I do think this little boy looks even more like what Harry is depicted on the illustrations on the books.
Right.
But I don't personally care.
What are you, what are your thoughts, PLU?
I did sneak in, like right before we went live.
I sneaked in a quick glance at the trailer, a tease or whatever.
It was solid, but it goes back to the cynical side of me.
This is definitely, I feel like the cash grab, obviously.
I mean, obviously, everything is a cast grab to a degree.
Let's call it like it is.
But it seems like this is the same set, the same costumes, the same.
It's basically like, we have our Harry Potter universe in Florida,
or whatever else we got to match it up to make sure it all connects
so we don't have to redo anything.
And it seems good.
It seems like it's fun.
I just don't see what New Ground is being broken.
Yes, you're right.
It is a TV series.
We're going to get fuller explorations or something that got cut.
Sure, it's exciting.
I guess, but we already had it pretty much well done and well performed.
So what is it going to draw me to this universe that I haven't seen before?
I mean, I got to see a performance that matches like Alan Rickman.
I got to see performances that match like Richard or Richard Harris or Richard Harris and things like that.
Are these young kids going to be able to match what our original trio did?
Because let's face it, children acting is never, it's not always a home run.
And that's not their fault.
I don't want to bash you these little kids.
Is anything never going to bully a kid?
that's what it is.
But finding a kid actor is something that's a struggle to do sometimes,
and we pretty much hit gold with our three in the films.
I agree.
We've got to re-hit gold again.
I mean, but it's possible.
It's to act like we haven't had really good kid actors,
but that's typically why a lot of these projects take a long time to cast.
Right.
Just because they have to, they really have to find a kid that it's like,
no, if we're going to do this for any extent of period of time,
they're going to be all right.
If you're doing one movie,
right, fine.
But if you're doing a TV show or you're doing a,
franchise of movies. You got to make sure you nail it because they're going to be around for years
and you really need that to be a big thing, you know? They're growing up and they're going to grow up
with you. And if they're not that good, you're stuck on. Yeah, no. People will run. Absolutely.
Casey G released the PLD acting footage, BLD. Bro, is there some videos that we should know about?
Let's say, I could, I might be able to find some back on the days. It's probably not on YouTube,
but, you know, that I think. Okay, here's what we'll do.
If he somehow beats Roka, we don't even, I would love to win.
But at bare minimum, when we get the final results,
if he beats Roka, PLD will commit to finding an acting video of himself
and we release the PLD cut.
That's true.
And at the very least, I have like old high school college days that were taped
and everything else.
Hell yeah.
I could throw you that.
I did a lot of the back then.
You know, I was professionally in a production back in the day in my local area of Peter Pan
where I played Young Michael and up touring that to Moscow.
I might be able to find footage of that potentially.
I had to perform in front of Gorman Chef.
Okay.
So if he beats Roca, we will see him in Moscow
playing Young Michael from Peter Pitt.
My God.
I'm going to tell everybody, though,
it's Young Michael Jackson, just to talk with people.
That he was out here just doing, you know, Jackson 5 shit.
You want me canceled.
That's what's good.
Mirror domains.
How should Shehoek be using the MTV?
Funny, you ask that question.
I literally decided that.
last week out of the blue, mainly because
I was still kind of frustrated
with an explanation of what happened to Hulk,
I just decided to randomly rewatch Shee Hulk, and I'll be honest with you,
I go back to what I said back then.
It's actually a pretty decent show.
I just think they didn't stick the landing.
That is my actual gripe.
I don't think the argument with the Kevin
bot is necessarily a bad idea,
but what I didn't want, and that was the problem,
is you just tell me how this ends
instead of us getting to actually watch it lay out.
You took the wind fully out of my sales at that point.
I was like, oh, bro, come on.
But yeah.
I would say I always argue for the, like Christian has been talking about recently,
like Star Wars and everything else in D.C.
trying to get that serious tone.
I want to see tones all over the place.
If we have a shared universe, that's the place we can do all these kind of disparate tones.
And I think that was not a show that was really made for a lot of the Marvel audience.
It's understandable.
But I think there's a lot of fun that could have been had there.
I think a lot of fun was had there.
I'm not a hater on that like anybody else.
I don't go to, I'm not going to, I'm a clamoring to rewatch it at all.
But I do think that going forward, we're to answer this question that way, going forward,
it's going to be hard to sell because it got such a stank on it from some people.
I don't know what necessarily you do, but I think you got a rehabber.
But if you're going to have to rehab the image by putting her into a larger movie with Hulk potentially,
you could still definitely get it done.
And I think you could use her as maybe a replacement for Hulk and the Avengers at some point.
Because that's where we have introduced a bunch of people going on.
We're going to have to have these Avengers eventually move on, right?
I mean, maybe not.
Chris Evans, maybe he's going back, Philly's like 90.
I'll keep coming back at this point.
But I mean, like-
That's America's ass, bro.
Absolutely.
I mean, he had Brett Goldstein as Hercules was introduced, having been used again.
He could be the Thor replacement.
This could be Hulk could be Hulk at some point.
You can get some of those lower-level Avengers tiers that you could have thrown into different places and different movies.
It's potentially the way I would probably do it.
Try to hear that that way.
And maybe add some of the old names with the newer names and kind of help grease the wheels a little bit.
I don't know.
Essentially how I'd probably do it.
Yeah, I think the best way to do it is you go Secret Wars.
And with the fact that you have the whole land of the hulks and all that kind of stuff,
you can kind of reintroduce her there and how that's all playing out.
We still haven't gotten an answer of what we're doing with Scar, the fact that the fact that he introduced his kid and then just all of a sudden.
But the main thing I was actually looking at was, and this just goes to show where I do think the TV stuff became too much homework.
Yeah.
My only complaint with Brand New Day was the idea of why is it that Hulk all of a sudden is just not, he's using this inhibitor.
What's going on with that?
Why is that happening?
And I forgot in Chi-Holki explains, I actually invented this inhibitor to kind of force the Hulk back in so I could properly heal.
So the whole snapping that he did to bring everybody back, damage his arm, if you remember, in order for Hulk to properly heal like that, he needed to be out of Hulk form long enough.
And that was the whole point of that.
So that was explained very quickly in the very first episode of She Hulk while they're in the car together before the car accident.
And I just fully forgot.
So where I gave a lot of crap to brand new day of like, why is Hulk just not Professor Hulk?
but like what is going on
that was explained then
the device was explained then
etc etc so yeah
anyway
that's a great question
thank you so much for that mirror
domains let's keep it pushing
Armada Roca sprung for Schmoda
damn
speaking of which this is another
thing that was announced a little while ago
again depending on how the Kickstarter
goes within the first few days
the Schmodown could make a return if it's fully
funded in a day a 16 person tournament if it's
fully funded in two days, an eight-person tournament.
If it's fully funded in three days, a live event with two matches.
And if that's holding you back at all, I want to throw out there, Christian has said,
like, you know, something Shmowdown-related, if he gets funded at all,
something Shmodeon-related will happen.
That's what it is.
I'll throw out.
I'm not sure where it is.
And I will say also, Christian teased this Saturday on the show with Roka.
He had talked to some people, started talking to some people about potentially making some
appearances here and there.
A lot of people think he's like got this all locked in.
he doesn't you know when he announced that or when roka's tease it tease it and let it all out basically
he had just raised it bro jesus teased it and then let it all out and then it went balls deep
whoa they're gonna get soft and i'm gonna get harder
please please please please he had some ideas he had some ideas but then like he hasn't really
made any contact. But now he's starting to talk to people. So people have made contact with him.
He's someone that he spoke to that has committed. And I'm not going to announce it. It's definitely
not my friend. But he did tell me who this person was. And I'll say that I was shocked.
Because I never thought this person would come back. So you definitely want to do that. And I will say
that I have talked to a few people. And I will say somebody that I spoke with that I had kind of ruled out
in my head is not necessarily done with the Shmowdown potentially.
So some big names are potentially going back.
So if you want to have that happen, make me write questions.
Make me work.
Make me and PJ work.
That's all I've got to say, guys.
Come on now.
He said, make me work.
Wow.
Come on and support him in his Canadian ballet.
Just what I thought I was out.
They pull me back in.
Hey, man.
Support his Canadian ballet habits.
We've got to help that.
Armada, not going to lie, put Tom Cruise and Crawl 2 running from Gatis.
Yeah, why not?
I mean, I've watched Tom Cruise in anything at this point.
I mean, the guy is, when it comes to stunts and everything else,
he's the man to mental legend.
So I'm always seeing him.
Absolutely, man.
Mirror and Dominion's coming back.
Will Venom ever fight Tom Holland Spider-Man?
Yeah, I think it might be one of the last things he does as Spider-Man,
personally.
I think that's probably where we're headed.
I think he'd give him the black suit.
I think he pulls it off.
And I think maybe they even go the route
almost of the insomniac game of like
dealing with venom is a cross-pollination
of Miles and Peter.
Yeah.
Maybe the way that it ends up being the one saving the day.
And that's how Tom kind of fully retires
or his character dies or however they want to handle it.
I mean, we know that Tom has at least two solo movies more
in his contract and a couple other parts of times.
I think you have to have him placed Van of Denim at some point.
Otherwise, what looks the point?
Come on.
That's the guy. It's this big, big guy there.
So I would argue.
is an interesting debate.
I would argue Venom is probably
Spider-Man's biggest nemesis.
Obviously, he gets tortured a lot by Green Goblin.
Right, that's the other one that would be
you could go that route.
But I always felt that Green Goblin,
to be honest with you,
felt almost, at least how they've been presented,
felt very derivative of Joker.
And I felt like Venom felt like an original character
that really was at its core.
The fact that both Eddie and the symbiate hate
Spider-Man and Peter Parker for various reasons.
There was a, there's a more intricately, like, connected connection between them personally.
Obviously, Norman being the goblin, eventually Harry being the goblin, like, yes, there's
ties to that, too.
But there's just something about Venom specifically that I've always just associated more
as, like, Spider-Man's main foil.
I get that.
And I also argue we've had a great Green Goblin versus Spider-Man, and we haven't had a great
Venom versus Spider-Man at this point in the movies.
Yeah, that's a very good point.
We have not had a good one at all.
I liked Hardy's Venom, but they didn't fight.
Right. I was okay with Hardy's Venom as well, but yeah, he didn't fight Spider-Man.
Yeah. Mr. I crappin' shits.
Shones his support from Winston and Bubble Boy.
Even get that apathetic feeling I've gotten that for the Browns this year.
Didn't for Owen 16 and 2017.
Yeah, I get that apathetic feeling plenty for various things.
Typically, and this is why I'm big on my mental health, man.
A lot of times it is overload and depression that can do that for me.
And that kind of can take some of the wind out of my sales.
So, yeah, I've definitely dealt with that.
But I can certainly understand it as a Browns fan.
Jesus Christ, bro, that's, you got, somehow you have four quarterbacks and no quarterbacks at the same time.
That's crazy.
Look, I'm a Chicago Bears fan, so I live through that for a long time.
You mean you're about to become an Indiana, a Hammond, Indiana Bears fan.
Shut your mouth.
You shut your dirty mouth.
Hey, man, I ain't going no will.
Hey, man, you got your last season to Chicago, bro.
You're good.
That's true.
Hey, I'm just excited, honestly, for the first time,
we actually have a quarterback that might be able to throw 4,000 yards, maybe.
Dude, the fact that has never happened is insane.
Insane.
Insane.
But.
It happens.
Ron H.
Batman 89.
had Prince, Nuff said, Batman's.
You can't go wrong with Prince, baby.
He can't go wrong with Prince.
He honestly can't.
Uh, co-pal, it's amazing.
You immediately got that reference.
Which reference did he say?
I'm going to guess.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Bad boogie.
Yeah, uh-huh.
Bougie.
Bro, it was one of the greatest moments on the editor.
Do you kidding me?
Of course.
I have you got that reference.
Oh, shit.
Yoshibitsu.
I know I've said it before, but I want a serious
cyberpunk Batman Beyond
more than anything else from DC.
I would love that.
But again, we got to establish main timeline Batman first.
That is still arguably a C-list character as far as Terry McGinnis and everything like that.
I'm not saying it couldn't work.
But like if you were going to, like it would have made no sense narratively because you'd
have to jump forward in time.
But if you were going to pick a random C-lister to do that with, instead of going
Supergirl, maybe you can go Batman Beyond.
I don't know where you go story-wise to bring it back.
But as far as recognition, because the name of Batman is in it.
Right.
But that's still a tertiary character.
You cannot do that right now.
I know as badly as I also would want that.
That's something you could do a show for, like a Prime show potentially.
That's something the, or not Prime, Mac show, that you could do that on.
Because I think that would be this.
I think you could take a risk out of CEL's character for that.
That could also pay dividends that it could enter the film universe later on as we do get more stouted with Batman.
And I will say from the gun side of things,
one of the things I do like about Guns Universe,
I know we have to establish
these mainline characters, and I agree with that.
But kind of like it's interesting
how we're kind of just throwing these in,
like Superman was like,
he's already been there for a while.
I kind of interesting, like,
just throwing us in these,
instead of having year one,
origin, origin, origin, origin,
we're getting like,
we're going to start in the middle.
You know who these characters basically are.
Just throw you right in the middle of a mix.
I like that idea.
This is coming from a Star Wars guy.
We started with episode four.
That's where I love the idea.
I'm right in the middle there, baby.
Yeah, I don't have a problem.
with that but again the focus on getting us in there it needs to be on the ones that we're most
familiar with because again it's not just the comic book fans you got to get the casuals in it
the casuals have at least heard the names superman batman wonder woman absolutely supergirl
i'm sure i've heard of that but that sounds kind of derivative like that's that's where their
mind is going to go you need you need to get their butts in seats so then they're hooked and
they want to keep going i think what they did the mistake they know supergirl is that they could
Supergirl could have been like the Clayface slot.
Like if you did like the 40 or 50 million, like a lower price movie and you do it like on the side, not the blockbuster,
summer, summer you can introduce a Supergirl.
Yeah, like the summer big blockbuster, be Superman, Batman, that kind of thing.
And have that side movie be like the, let's do the family.
Let's get the family extended, et cetera, that kind of thing.
Or even if you were going to do that, having her in more than just a cameo so that people could really get attached to the characters,
another way to have done that as well.
but either way.
It is what it is.
It happened.
We keep it pushing.
Go, pal.
But gun takes endless flack for his needle drops, which is wild to me because that's actually
just an old school.
Like, you can overdo it.
Right.
For sure.
But like, that's an old school way to do films.
And again, it's something that ain't like to this day.
When I think of Guardians of the Galaxy, I'm thinking of the opening.
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
Hey, hey, hey.
Like I immediately dive in.
I think there is something missing by not having that anymore in movies personally.
Well, a funny thing is soon that was wild to me is that he was actually allotted for that for a long time.
That was one of things people loved about that.
He's the use of music, his use of that.
But to your point, maybe you're overdoing it.
And when it works, it works and it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
And maybe he's not working quite as on top as he used to be.
But I don't think you abandon it.
It's just abandoned it necessarily.
But maybe it a little bit more judicious with you.
Yes, absolutely.
Go pal, not to
online bully child,
but the promo still of
New Harry going
around looks like Rachel
Dredge playing
Harry.
That's an hell's
Oh, that's awful.
He's not wrong.
He's not wrong.
Yeah, but man, that's,
that's good. That's, that's funny.
That's really funny.
Ron H.
I don't get Canadian

We'll check it out.
We will check it out.

Love the Winston PLD combo.
Thank you, Carl.
Appreciate it, Pippet.
And the last, oh, we got two more.
Unheard Sirens Incorporated.
You know what other soundtrack slaps?
The OG Matrix Rock is dead by Manson.

That's a name
I used to bump that she's in my car
Yeah, no, I agree with that.
Dude, I think about
Charlie's Angels too, smack my bitch
When they're fighting the string hat bear
Whatever, it's always like
Like I think of that
I also American Pie
Like the song is associated
with that, like, draws me back in.
Can't hardly wait that 90s
when we had a great 90s soundtrack, everything else.
Had the third-eye blind, which was everywhere at the time,
and smashman.
Dude, rush hour?
Yeah.
The, can I get a, what, what in the car?
Like, oh, my God, dude.
You can't do that shit to the beach, boys?
Hell no.
Love that.
Oh, God, I love it.
All right, last one for now, Yoshimitsu.
Guns, needle drops are great in Guardians
because of Peter Crowell's story
mixtape from his mom.
The problem is he uses the same style everywhere.
I think that's probably the issue
is that he found a narrative reason to connect it.
Right.
And so because that is the style
at which he decided to do that,
when you no longer have the narrative key
to the music,
it does fall a little bit hollow in that regard.
And if you did it the exact same way,
if Supergirl all of a sudden was listening,
I don't even remember if she did this at one point,
but if she's always listening to her iPod
or something shit like that,
right.
have the same kind it's like oh you're doing the same thing right you know yeah it's it's yeah i get that
i definitely agree that it's why it works best in guardians for sure i don't want to seem abandoned it
because i did like i actually even like some of the meal drops they put in super girl i didn't mind them
but it just seems like i understand why there's a push back a little bit so yeah no for sure last
one for now gx paula not interested in another symbiate sucker oh uh i don't care about venom anymore
let's see the mc u norman he's like if joker was batman's uncle and my
my fave villain. Hey, if he's your fab, I love that for you.
I just have always felt that Goblin was a less interesting Joker.
Again, the familial connection is there, but nobody out does Joker's crazy.
And so, like, it's just, in my opinion, the Joker's actual chaos is just far more interesting than Norman's, ah, my mind.
I'll be honest, it's funny.
I'm not as huge a Venom fan as everybody else's.
I like Venom, but I never really was like,
I got to have venom and everything else.
But I think at this point, like I said,
because I have had, had Willem Defoe.
Well, it was phenomenal.
I would like to get that definitive Venom
versus Spider-Man moment for me.
Yeah, that's crazy.
Tim Curry was almost Joker and Batman the animated series.
He would have done a good job.
There is no world where I can see anything other than Mark
Camel and what he did with that role.
Like, at all. That is, like, just because of what Ledger did, sure.
But, like, it is so one A, one B for me as far as that goes, because, like, Hamill for so
many of us has stamped childhood because of his voice acting.
Not Luke Skywalker, obviously, but throw that to the side for a minute.
What he did with the Joker was so paramount.
It's crazy.
it is absolutely him and conroy they are they are in my mind synonymous with batman and the joker absolutely i get
that a lot of people that's that's the way it is for a lot of people i will say i'll throw out there
for my hoovians in the audience you threw it out there tim cur who's actually almost the eighth
doctor as well but couldn't make schedules for account interesting i did not know that i did
not know that um jared l t no jupe signed an undisclosed roll in secret wars adult frankwood
That would be my guess.
My guess is he's going Franklin because I feel like with vision quest coming up,
if we were going to somehow make him Tommy or something like that,
that we probably would have heard about him a little earlier.
I don't know.
I think that's probably right.
I think that's the obvious choice.
I mean, there are a couple of choices you could do.
It could be a younger Tony Stark variant, like Iron Lad kind of thing potentially.
That's also true.
That's also true.
Potential.
also iron lead isn't tony remember iron lad is kang right right i'm sorry yeah yes but here's the other
variant that he did when he was there i think what i think of iron lad back in the day like i remember
crossing back in the day the avengers crossing when iron man uh became a younger i always
called him iron lad even though it wasn't iron lad i've taken of a different variation of iron lad
when he was a younger tony stark but that's another one he could be younger doom though that
iron lad could be iron lad either way it could be interesting way to go um another i'm gonna throw it out
there's a random thought I had.
It'd be interesting to see if they went with him as the
Beyonder, like a young Beyonder in a way.
They kind of made him like, because he's some of
opposition omnipotent. Like you have a different
focus on it, like a subverting of the expectation
maybe. I don't know
a lot of Noah's work.
Do you think he's strong enough actor to play the Beyonder?
I don't know
a lot of his work. I just think it's an interesting
if he can pull it off, the subversion
would be an interesting take.
Yeah.
Yeah. So, well,
Ron H, got to get going.
See you tomorrow all.
Later, Ron H.
Be safe out there, brothera.
GX. Paula, Norman is my favorite Marvel villain.
He's evil Tony.
Look, man.
Like I said, your opinion, and I love that for you,
and I'm glad he brings to the majority.
I'm not saying the Green Goblin is trash,
and I agree.
Willem to Flo did such a fantastic job with it,
you know, that it was good and all.
I just, for me, when I think of Spider-Man villains,
goblin doesn't always jump up to the forefront of my mind.
I tend to go venom.
Doc Ack. Even Lizard is interesting. And I will say someone made a really interesting argument
of how you could have made that a pure Spider-Man film. You didn't need Hulk. You did that just
because to say you had Hulk in there, Lizard would have been a perfect substitute.
And it really would have been the same thing, trying to contain the monster, coming up with an
inhibitor device. All of that stuff would have worked with Lizard. And it could have been
even more self-contained. Obviously, introducing Gene is going to expand out a little bit.
But I'm sure they did that to put butts in seats, but.
Well, that and they might be trying to set up Hulk's new, like, you know,
where his status quo is before we get into the next phase.
It's another idea to do potentially throw it in there as well.
Really quick, 1789, folks.
We are almost getting there slowly but surely.
Let's keep going, baby.
Okay, well, we got one more from Eric Kirby who says,
Lanterns, white people okay with a tall blue alien,
but an actual black person talking about growing up, such a shame.
Look, man, the fact that people are,
actually took umbrage
with
John Stewart,
who is black,
and essentially a story
about growing up
this.
I randomly saw an episode
of home improvement the other day,
so I just have the
just stuck in my head.
But the fact that you took umbrage
with a black character
talking about his backstory,
which is growing up black,
it's wild to me.
But I'm also like,
I know,
the world we're in and I know how the internet works so I'm not surprised.
Yeah, I'm not surprised either, unfortunately.
But I love the show and what they're doing and I can't wait to then also see How's origin
because I think what the truth of the matter is, John's truth is John's truth and I do think
what is being presented is correct, but there's more just like anything else, there's this side,
there's that side and there's the truth in the middle.
I think that there is definitely some lightweight racism in Hal and just like his
comic origins. It's from a blind spot. But I also think that there is a misreading that can also
happen at the same time where he may be doing something that's a little like fucked, but it's not
as cut, black and white, no pun intended, that cut and dry as what we see from one perspective.
And then when we get his origin and everything else, we'll get to see that other element
and probably his own feelings about certain things. You know what I mean?
To me, that's actually more interesting way to do it instead of being very, we see a lot of the
overt talk about that. But instead of going that route,
having to be like a big hero, a hero character, battle his own like history and his own like internal
prejudices and stuff that you're growing up because we all have our own internal prejudices here and there,
depending on how you grew up.
I think they're doing a wonderful job of that.
I grew up as a Hal Jordan guy.
I didn't know who John Stewart really was.
I kind of knew he was in the fact.
I didn't read a lot with John Stewart.
He was just the other black lantern guy, you know?
So I was in Black Lantern.
I was thinking about the Atlantic.
I heard it.
I heard it.
You caught yourself real quick, but I got a fool.
Who?
I'll loan it. I'll loan it. Don't cancel.
Give me a pass, please, give you a pass.
You get one.
Everybody gets one. Everybody gets one.
Thanks, Spider-Man.
I was, but anyway, so I was a Hal Jordan guy growing up.
I didn't read a lot of Green Lantern in general. That's why I didn't really read John Stewart.
I think I read mostly justice stuff and everything else.
I actually don't think it's Hal Jordan at the end of episode one.
I don't know how many people think that or not.
But Hal Jordan, I thought the same thing.
I didn't think it was him.
So I think we're, I think, but people, we don't have any patience anymore of a storytelling.
That's what seems like today's day and age.
We just have to, there's always something going on.
We have to be upset about everything instead of letting the storytell out.
Let's let's see what happens.
But I did love that.
There's a phenomenal way.
I don't know much about John Stewart's background as origins, like in the comments.
So that's what actually what the writer of Vanessa Bader Kelly talked about in the post.
is that his background of being an architect,
which was his original job and what he did,
and then ultimately Dwayne McDuffie using
John Stewart as the Green Lantern,
they wanted a more kind of like stoic thing,
so kind of changed the origin to a Marine,
and then eventually the comics merged the two together,
is that he went to the Marines first,
and then ultimately became an architect,
but they never explain his true origins.
You don't ever know anything about his family,
where he comes from anything like,
that. So they with working with DC directly, those in charge, helped to come up with this full blown
backstory form. And I think it honestly works. I think it works very, very well. And I think the other
thing about it that's like, again, an interesting kind of dive into this whole scenario. Like anything
else, there is truth. And then there's assumptions. And even the parents saying about how he didn't
have, you know, he had the, like, the privilege of not knowing fear because he's white.
Now, he did, he had the privilege of not knowing specific fears that John and black people
throughout the world that specifically in America had to go through for sure.
But he had different stuff we had to deal with.
And I think that that is always where we're not going to get into a full political conversation
in the last five minutes of the show, especially.
But, but there's so much more to it.
What I would suggest, if you really want to have this conversation, y'all, I'll do an early
plug. Come watch Blurds in the Hood this afternoon, myself and Jay Washington. We're going to break all of
episode three down for sure. It's going to be a good talk. So if you want to do that. Definitely.
I've interested in seeing more about John Stewart. I'm actually, I got DC the universe comics.
I've been doing a lot of reading all the stuff I missed from as a kid. Because I stopped reading
comics like 2000. I'm catching up. So I actually was reading Black as Day, Black as Night,
as Brightest Day, Black as Night. That's where I got the Black Lantern actually came from in my head.
I'm doing the Black Lanters are awesome and everything else. But I love that stuff. I can't wait to continue
you go on with that. Sure, Jan.
Yoshimitsu, where
was Keith David? Is he got to be the lizard?
It's a great question. That was crazy to use him
just as that one little narrative cameo
and brand new day for
the documentary on Spiders. So, yeah,
I would be interested to see where he comes in.
I think he'll be put in there.
I think he'll be put in there. I bet you don't
use him for that and not keep him.
Like, it's just kind of keep him in your mind and then you've got to
get him later on. That's true. That's true.
And then greeting from Oz, Harry being
constantly suspicious of Snape in the new series
going to hit a little different from the original movies, I think.
I mean, I have said this before.
Probably one of my, I didn't really watch
Must of S&L this past season, but probably one of my
favorite moments is Cam Patterson
who joined the cast.
One of the weekend update characters
he did was Black Snape. And he just came in, he's like,
hey man, I'm going to tell y'all, Harry Potter,
a little racist muff. And they're like, what?
Harry is racist? Yeah, man. How the
first thing you do when you show up in the school, you hear the
philosopher's stone, snake did it. Why? Because I'm black. This is bullshit.
I was like, yo, that's
actually hilarious.
And then to go further and go,
eh, you want to know he'd get it from his daddy.
I know he never met him.
You know, he's a little orphan motherfucker.
His daddy out here touched me because I'm black too
because I looked at a white woman.
Whatever.
And I was like, bro.
Oh, man, oh man.
I'm glad, like, to me, that's the humorous side
that you try to throw that out there inside of life.
It makes sense because you know there's going to people
who are going to throw that narrative against it
and say, well, that's what they shouldn't have made them black.
It's going to make everything.
It's like, it's okay to have these kind of, like,
textural or subtextual kind of things going on that to make commentary on things it's okay to do
that um so i'm actually as long the only problem i have with black's name is not that it's black
state it's just that i love alan rickman so much so like it's it's a big performance to step up to
i don't care if you're black white yellow whoever you are you got to just be but you got well you know
why roxy because i'm racist that's why i mean part of the thing that was going to think if you're
going to redo this show at all that means you're going up against everybody's yeah you're going up
against everybody's previous performances.
So, like, it was just going to happen one way or the other.
Right, right.
Yeah.
But last one I see you can get with this, you can get with that.
It's sad that discussing social inequities gets called political.
It's not policies and society.
I mean, you have a very solid point.
I fully agree with you on that one.
I just know that specifically that is a deep enough of a conversation that we can't get it done
and now what is only a minute and a half.
You know what I'm saying?
It would be one thing when it, like,
if that was the topic we want to talk about to start the show,
it's not normally something that gets talked about on this show for sure,
but we could certainly have the conversation,
but you would need more time than to try and do it in the final 60 seconds of the show
is the only other thing that I would say.
So again, like I said, if that is a conversation interested in,
it is something Jay and I've already talked about that we're going to break down for sure.
So come and check out Blurids in the hood.
But before I plug all my shit, PLD,
I know you're mainly here, man, but plug your shit.
Wow, I never got to plug my shit before.
I will say I do have a YouTube channel, a PLD projects.
We haven't done anything in a while because I had a tree hit my house,
and I had health issues, and I had health issues.
But me and PJ are going to be ramping back up,
probably in the near future as soon as I get my household.
We're going to bring our podcast back to Middle Age geese on film.
So you can go stuff to that.
I'm too old for this shit.
Exactly.
I am too old for this shit.
But yeah, you can find me there.
And also, I also produce for the Real Rejects,
so I do their Patreon and everything else.
So I should plug that as well.
Greg Alva being a D producer on our show is trending,
which is now, I'll check real quick before we get it going.
I think we are at 1790.
We got 1790, not quite 1800, but 1790.
I'll take it for now.
Let's keep going on that.
But yeah, Greg as well and Christian.
So you can find me here, there, and everywhere.
That is what's up.
And you can find me at the Swaggy Blur.
Check out the sign.
I got this for Christmas, but finally got it up.
Did some redecoration in my office and everything else like that, man.

I'm normally here on Fridays, but again, I'm here today.

And then again, follow me on social media,
and I'll let you know about all the stuff that's going on.
So with that...
There is a show on Friday with Christian and Martini.
Oh, okay.
Well, then you should have just said that.
Hey, I want to have martini on a Friday, bro.
Can you do a Wednesday show?
Instead, he was out here in the streets talking about,
oh, I can't do a show on busy.
Oh, man, just be honest, bro.
All right, look, we're going to get right.
We're going to get out of here.
Thank you again so much for watching the show.
We appreciate you.
Thank you to all the super chatters.
We appreciate that.
Shout out to PLD for doing the show with me.
I appreciate you, my man.
Come back here every day.
Go and share out the Kickstarter once again.
We're getting so close.
We want to get to that 2000 before it starts.
And we're getting real close to 1800 right now.
So again, it's free.
Share it with as many people as you can.
Got nothing but love for y'all.
Have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday.
I'm headed to Costco.
