With one of the best savings rates in America, banking with Capital One is the easiest decision in the history of decisions.
Even easier than choosing Slash to be in your band.
Next up for lead guitar.
You're in.
Cool.
Yep, even easier than that.
And with no fees or minimums on checking and savings accounts, is it even a decision?
That's Banking Reimagined.

Ladies and gentlemen.
Another day, and now you're here with us,
and we're gonna have such a good ass Monday
because we're alive another day,
and we have some fun stories to talk about.
But more importantly, I'm joined by the best panel
in the entire world.
I'm Seth Sabraa, and last night confirmed to me
to the utmost that Brett Sheridan is one of the funniest,
funniest people and an ASMR genius, to say the least.
What's up, Brett?
Thank you, thank you.
That was a lot of fun.
I didn't know what to expect, but, and I can't do it without Kate.
Kate, we didn't plan anything, but it turned out to be just a delightful good time.
Yeah, I go check it out.
It's the, and go support the Whirlgirls.
It was so fun.
We also have, I feel like the next Marvel superhero in the house, that's Ben Goddard with the hair to kill.
What's up, guys?
Sorry, I'm so sad I couldn't join any of the World Marathon, the Whirlathon last night,
but you guys look like you having so much fun
and doing it for such a good cause too.
Like, so proud of y'all are doing amazing work over there.
And yes, Brett is hilarious.
He's done piece of shit.
Thank you, man.
We miss you.
We also have Ryan Nilsson
all the way from a red-eye flight.
He made it just in time.
Fresh off a plane, first plane,
and I think a year, well, second plane in a year.
Very tired, but we got the show started.
We're talking the marathon.
Also, sorry, couldn't have been a part of it.
But we're going to give this a whirl on very little sleep.
Yeah, right.
Yeah, I think everyone is tired this Monday per usual,
but it's okay because we have each other.
And we also have Alex Marzonia,
who has a South by Southwest critique for us, maybe in story.
Possibly, possibly.
And yeah, I'm sorry I couldn't be on yesterday either
because I was checking my emails to see if I could,
but I couldn't.
So who knows?
Alex's showing shape.
Who knows?
How?
Alex's throwing shake.
Listen, I'm all about shots being thrown this Monday morning.
If you got something to say, stay in the stream lab, super chats.
Let us know what you're feeling today as we run through these stories.
Any opinions, thoughts, questions, concerns are just random things you want to talk about
because it's Monday and we can do that.
We can do whatever we want.
But Alex, what's the first story we have today?
First story we got today.
Today's early reactions are in for Godzilla versus Kong, which is set to debut in theaters and HBO Max next Wednesday, March 31st.
Most say that it is much better than Godzilla King of the Monsters and has good punchy, punchy, fight, fight scenes between the big boys.
But the human storylines are lackluster as much of the movies in the franchise are.
Steph, do these early reactions make you more excited to see the movie next Wednesday?
Yeah, actually they do.
I'm excited about it because I feel like the only thing I really care about Godzilla monster movies,
in general is the action sequences and scenes and how they're done and just like the picture of it
all, the visual of it all. So if they succeed in that, then I feel like I'll be getting the good
time that I want. Ben, has anyone on the panel seen it already? No. No, not yet. Once again,
my sources that I don't have didn't come through. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And the connections that I haven't
made yet. I still see the way my destiny works is it just hasn't.
happened yet.
A guy at Starbucks that I'm pretty sure is like a Hollywood producer or acts like it
because he's really douchey with his AirPods.
He didn't give me a screener for it.
It's about who you know and I don't know anybody.
Yet.
But Ben, are you, are you, do you want to see this movie?
Are you excited about it?
My level of excitement stays the same because I feel like we do this every single time
one of these movies comes out, everyone gets so pumped for it, and then no one goes to see it. And I think
this going on streaming is the best thing for it, honestly, because we saw with Zach Snyder's
Justice League four hours long and everyone was talking about it this weekend. It absolutely
dominated the news cycle over Falcon and Winter Soldier. And so I do think a lot of people are
going to see it. My excitement still remains the same, but I'm glad people are enjoying it. Honestly,
like I never I never want to watch a bad movie like I my time is precious so I don't want to sit there and like Adam Wingard already came out and said this is my cut there's no director's cut out there because he's already like squashing those rooms which I appreciate and it's under two hours so that's good news too I'm all about this I can't wait so cool I hope it's fun a lot of punches a lot of buildings falling down and
hopefully some sick beats because every trailer that comes out just like it's got those
bass drops in there man yawr!
Did everyone want?
Did everyone want?
So basically as someone who wants the complete package it looks like this film's not for me.
Oh.
Hashtag Sauron Not Sorry.
Ooh.
I have heard the human, I have heard the human stuff is still unbearable, which is like,
Yeah.
It just seems like Jurassic Park is never going to happen again.
Like it's like the perfect amalgamation of a movie with like good characters and good monster stuff.
But, uh, but hey, punchy punchy, uh, monkey, monkey dino.
Yeah.
That's what they should have called it.
They would have had more people come.
That's the Snyder Cush version.
Punch, punchy, monkey, dino.
Punchy, punchy monkey dino, poopy caca.
Right.
When you're, um, looking, when you're looking to watch a movie like this,
Are you looking for the full package or is it more just about the action that you're getting?
I'm a fan of the old ones and I think the dialogue and character development was just basically Godzilla.
So I don't think that I need any sort of character stuff in this.
I could use just a lot of punchy, punchy monkey dinosaur.
But yeah, I mean, I'm not Russian.
This isn't anything I'm rushing out to do.
I didn't even do...
You're not Russian, Brett?
Yeah, I'm not Russian, you guys.
Listen, listen.
Listen, I've been keeping it in a secret a long time,
and I'm finally here to reveal I am not Russian.
Oh, shit.
We didn't see the Snyder cut either.
You didn't?
Because we don't have time for things like this, Steph.
So instead, we watched the entire first season of what we do in the shadows.
Oh, that's an excellent show.
And I'm talking to you on that.
That is such a good show.
Too shit.
She's a little long.
My wife says, I go, okay, well, let's just watch a show.
And then it's, like, cut to six hours later.
Six hours later.
But yeah, I didn't think, I mean, as long as it's fun,
this isn't something I would go to the theaters to necessarily see.
It's, it is what it is.
I haven't, I'm, again, I'm old school.
I like, I like the old Godzilla's with the crumply suit that you could tell
was a guy inside of a suit.
That's, that's a little bit nice.
Sometimes you don't want it to look nice.
I get that.
I heard they did that for this one.
I, maybe I'm looking at the wrong rails.
They put on a suit?
No.
Were you in the suit?
Are you a furry?
I'm not a furry, guys.
Oh, wow.
This is being, there's a lot of questions on the off.
Monday morning.
Could you call Godzilla suit fucking a furry?
What would that be called?
Would that be a scaly?
I mean, I feel like a zilly.
I don't see why not, Ben.
I don't see why not.
A scaly.
Great question.
A zilly.
Yeah.
I think the reviews for this are really exciting.
But you know on the head, that's that that's all the movies.
is the human story is not great and then the action is kind of awesome i know the gareth edwards one
got a lot of critique though because they kind of treated like jaws where you weren't going to see
godzilla towards the very until the very end um but hey this is i think it's that cong factor
you know you're going to have both them fighting uh almost like bvs like that it's this event
movie that we are just looking to see these two guys fight i don't need the human story to be
anything special um just these two guys going at it and if it delivers on that i'm going to
be happy with the movie yeah Alex what your thoughts yeah I've said that before like oh yeah I don't
really care if there's human like this is if the human storylines or whatever and then I I go into it
without expectation and then I'm still let down because they are like not as good even as like
even with a low bar I was setting yeah so like I mean yeah kick kick punch um I'm just excited for
next Wednesday to see the to see the spectacle you know I remember seeing a king of the monsters
two years ago I got my tickets late so I was like six
sitting like, you know, kind of in the front section, like looking at in IMAX, watching it all in full.
So I think I'll replicate that next Wednesday by just sitting, you know, really close in front of my TV.
I'll just be like right here.
Yes, can you take a picture or it didn't happen?
Please do.
Okay, film it, live stream.
Did everyone get to watch Falcon and the Winter Soldier, though?
I did.
Oh, yes.
Right, are you on the train?
It came out early.
Like, it came out like five minutes early.
It was like, like, clicked out.
Okay.
I totally didn't forget that dropped.
Honesty is one of his best qualities.
But that one actually I was looking for, I mean, that one I was looking for and worked more to than Wanda Vision because I, you know, I kind of get, you know, it's going to be more action and fun.
So, yeah, I have to remind myself, let me take a note of that really loudly.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yes.
See, I told you he's bringing his skills to a theater new year.
You think Godzilla versus Kong will do an ASMR like podcast together?
Oh, I hope.
Godzilla and Kong.
Okay, we gotta talk about this since we're talking about it.
How is King Kong gonna win?
I'm gonna bring it up every time this happens.
Right.
Because you never, you never know, Ben, anything is possible.
You just can't count people out.
He big monkey.
He big monkey.
And this is a radioactive ancient dinosaur.
or that breathes fire.
Right.
Like, have you seen his quads, bro?
Like, he's in there lifting.
He's not forgetting leg day.
He's got biceps.
He's got quads, calves.
He's, like, got the whole package.
I think that it's going to be a good fight.
You're counting him out, Ben.
I am.
I don't see it.
I don't see it.
Yeah.
I'm curious what the chat thinks.
What do you think?
You think this is not an,
this is an unfair fight,
but are you excited for the film in general?
and when is Brett going to watch Falcon and the Winter Soldier?
Yes.
All these questions.
I need people to stream labs in.
Shmobot in.
Your reasoning for how Kong even stands a chance.
How does big monkey stand a chance against ancient dinosaur that breathed fire?
And literally, in the last movie, he radiated so much.
He disintegrated his opponent.
Like, he didn't even do.
You just walk next to him and he disintegrated.
I walk today to be dedicated to every.
everyone arguing with Ben in the super chat and streamlines.
Like, let's just debate it.
Ben is feeling it today?
I woke up at 6.30 a.m.
Keep me fueled through this show by argue with me by how big monkey punch punch dino.
Ben woke up and chose violence today.
Let's get it.
Let's get it going.
I got a few responses in the chat already.
Some are saying Kong is better than Godzilla because he finds a giant axe.
Kong has the axe.
Yes, yes. Thank you.
So maybe the answer.
This Axe will come into play a lot.
Kong's more creative than Godzilla with his fighting.
We also have...
Yeah, that's a great point.
Joe Wally saying, do you even lift, bro?
Yeah, we'll need them to streamwabs it in
because that's the only way Ben's actually going at it.
Godzilla's got that country strength.
He don't need to lift.
He's just got it like that, okay?
The mountain lifting Game of Thrones?
No.
Are you his fucking agent, bro?
I am.
He's like Lady Gaga.
he was born this way baby yo i don't know ben i feel like i feel like godzilla's fighting strategies
are a little prehistoric i think uh i think kong's gonna use some guerrilla warfare when it comes to
this bouts and i think he actually has the upper hand uh hey syri how do you take the host off
a zoom call um hey alex how do we schedule ben performing born this way by lady gaga by
No, no one, I don't even know the lyrics on that song and no one wants to be to sing that.
Google it. Google it.
Google it. Google it.
Everyone is, I don't know how we all showed up so deliriously tired of all that showed up like we just.
I'm all about it honestly.
Google it, Alex, what's the next?
You guys think Kong has a chance.
Yes, let's go!
Kong easily beats Godzilla and I'm a reptile guy.
However, there's no chance Kong beats a mountain lion, so who wins Ben versus Kong?
Amazing.
It's not even close.
It's not even close.
I am on, I'm a thousand percent more scared of a silverback gorilla than I am a mountain lion.
I will fight a mountain lion.
Wait, silverback.
Yeah, silverback gorillas can be a lion.
What if it didn't have a silverback?
I'd probably still be scared.
Yeah, a gorilla in general.
That's my favorite animal.
They don't look too cute.
They're so cool.
They're cool, but I think they'll tear off your arms and beat you to death with them if they have the chance.
That's a wookie.
Oh, that's a wookie.
What are the chances that they set aside their differences and maybe even saying you'll be in my heart, Phil Collins?
That's break, Fred.
I think is high.
Hey, let's make that joke that's been going on since this movie got announced and be like,
is his mom's name Mothra?
I feel like that joke's been like circulated like seven times.
Ben, are you sharing your own joke?
Because this sounds eerily like a Ben joke.
No, it would be.
Like I thought of it.
And then like right when the movie got announced,
it was the Batman v. Superman,
like,
why did you say the name Mothra?
And then like,
then it died out.
And then eight months later,
it became a joke again.
And then like when the trailer dropped,
it became a joke again.
I was like,
am I living in this hellscape by myself?
We keep making the Mothra
a joke and I apparently I apparently am.
Oh and Ron, I do think that they're going to have a bromance.
This is the bromance that we've been waiting for.
I think that I don't think that someone's going to win.
Ben, you don't, do you actually think that one will win and it's going to be Kong and that's
why you're upset?
Adam Wingard came out and said that there is going to be a winner.
And someone has said that the reason why it's called, like he's not called King Kong yet
is because he's going to win this fight.
So I kind of do buy into that theory.
but he said just someone's gonna be a winner so could it be like the people
oh yeah the friends who made along the way i'm sure it's not going to be the people either though
it looks like a lot of destruction maybe they band together and just kill all the people
oh i mean that'd be great google they're they're fighting they're fighting purely because
of sexual tension it's yes yeah i
I mean, you're absolutely right.
I mean, you know, come on, people.
We need to move forward and Kong and Godzilla need to hook up and we just need to get over it, guys.
Just do it.
Wake up.
It's 2021.
Gorilla on dino action needs to happen.
At least that the thread I'm on is big on that on 8chan or whatever.
Sorry, I watched a cue-in-on.
Hey, James! Oh, my God.
We're watching the Q&on series.
Oh, my God.
Shout out to everyone watching right now.
Make sure to hit that like button.
Keep sending in your stream labs and super chats.
Help us break 500 today.
Always appreciated.
Alex, what's next?
All right.
We'll stay on HBO.
It was also revealed that an eventual black and white version
of Zach Snyder's Justice League.
will actually include more footage of the Joker,
and it's unknown when this Justice's gray version of the Snyder Cup will be available.
Ryan Payne donated $20.
I think you run.
Kong spent centuries on Skull Island fighting all kinds of creatures
while Godzilla eats radiation like Popeye eating spinach.
Kong has the stamina to last for more than four hours
while Godzilla is one blast and he's finished faster than Benzeg Run.
By G-run.
Wow.
Ah, cool.
that's what I'm saying like
in Kong Skull Island
they say that Kong's parents died
to the death crawlers
death skull crawlers whatever they're called
like and that was like
both of them at full size died
to one big skull crawler
yeah Kong beat it but I'm just saying
bro just saying
I don't the numbers don't add up
numbers don't lie
like I need what's that was that
sports science show I need sports science to do
Kong versus Godzilla here.
You're like really being
that guy. Dude, I need it, man. I need, like,
I'm being that guy about it, and I like,
I'm going to go full Q and on if Kong wins.
You're like the type of person
who goes to a fantasy film and it's like,
that doesn't even have as on even possible.
I'm like, you're watching fantasy.
Wait, no, I need you to do the show with that
accent the whole time now.
I need you to do the entire show
with that guy voice.
I forget how to do it now.
Alex, Alex, one way.
Maybe we need a reward.
You can give us a Falcon Winter Soldier review in that voice.
Yes.
Okay, at 500, I'll do a review for Falcon the Winter Soldier in that voice.
Brian Roach has the best chat I've ever seen in the history of S-N.
What does it say?
The extra joker's skill will be the actual reach-around on Batman.
I told you.
Fans won it.
You've heard them loud and clear.
Well, Brett, you haven't seen it yet.
That's a line in the movie.
Oh, God.
That is a line in the movie.
Spoiler alert.
Alex, where were we?
Yeah, so a black and white version will be released soon.
I'm not sure if it'll be physical or on HBO Max.
And also, Zach Snyder wanted to include
the John Stewart version of Green Lantern, but wasn't allowed to, so they compromised on a different
character to be included, and I don't want, should I spoil it? Should we spoil it? May as well,
let's talk about it.
92% of households that start the year with Peloton are still active a year later.
92% because of a bike? Not just bikes. We also make treadmills and roars. Oh, let me guess,
for elite athletes only, right? Nope. It doesn't matter if you're an avid exerciser or new
to working out. Peloton can help you achieve your fitness goals. Ninety-two percent,
With it, so can you.

Martian Manhunter was included instead of Green Lantern.
What do you think of this?
Will you be watching a black and white version?
Will you be standing another four hours again?
And what do you think of the Green Lantern not being included in Saxonagos Justice
League?
To your first question, Alex, absolutely not.
Never will I be watching a four-hour black and white film of this.
I liked in color.
Why would I do that to myself?
I really don't need that.
I think if people really like black and white and I know that he wanted it like that
and you're a diehard, then that rocks for you.
And I'm so happy that you get to watch it again in a different version.
I just won't be participating.
I think it's dope that Snyder wanted Green Lantern in this.
and I get why they wouldn't want him to use it
if they have different plans for him.
But I am looking forward to that
and I think it could have been dope to have him introduced here,
but it's okay.
Ben, what are your thoughts on that?
Same.
I mean, I need to watch this movie
probably once or twice more just to study it for inner geekdom.
Oh, yeah.
And I didn't like not like it.
I thought it was fine.
I don't know what black and white would add to it, though.
I don't know why that's like a go-to thing
to make it more cinema is black and white.
I don't need more Joker honestly.
Like I liked a lot of, I liked a lot of the Snyder cut or Zach Snyder's
or Just or whatever.
I don't know what we're calling it honestly.
But that Joker scene was flat out awful.
Like it was so bad.
The dialogue was so fucking terrible and stupid that I don't like if this is what you're
the selling point for it.
No.
Like I'll purposely not watch it because of the Joker dialogue.
And I will lose it inner geek to match if that's my five pointer.
What was the extra Joker dialogue?
I'll fucking lose a match for it.
That is such a strong statement.
No, it's so bad.
Oh, my God.
I like, no, I'm with you.
But it was.
Yeah, I'm with you.
There are parts of the dialogue.
And I'm so curious, everyone watching,
send in your super chat stream labs.
I really want to know what y'all thought about the film in this community specifically
because there are some dialogue parts where I'm like,
what the fuck?
What?
But overall, I did enjoy the film.
Brett, you didn't get to catch it yet, but are you familiar with any of these characters?
Yeah, yeah.
I do know that, like, I don't, like, I'm with, I don't get the point of the black and wine.
I think that's what everybody, I mean, it's just, are we just going to milk it for every,
are we going to have Fred Savage come in it and do it like, you know, Princess of the Bride's style too?
Are we just going to get the 37 Snyder cuts, the, just drive this thing into the ground?
Why not?
More.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
coconut man in it because if he is it, I don't want to hear about it.
Cut it up.
We want more.
I want a 17-hour version.
I don't want any clean cuts.
I want them all to be even, including bad takes, 37 takes in a row of one shot.
Or I'm not watching it.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Funny, Roxy always talks about entitlement in the millennial culture with how we consume shit and what we think we deserve.
And she has a point in a lot of senses of it.
But I do think it's funny.
Like it works.
People who are entitled on social media.
And I don't mean that offensively.
Like just truly like you giving your opinion,
you're hoping for change.
It actually works.
The fact that we got a four hour cut,
the fact that we're about to get a black and white four hour cut,
that wouldn't have been except for people pushing that on social media.
And this is what I'm saying.
This is why I hate it.
It's because people like,
how you sing in the chat?
Suck my entire asshole, bro.
I said I like the movie, but because I don't like one scene, I'm a dumb fuck.
You're right. You're right.
DC fans totally deserve this movie and you're not completely unreasonable for me.
Not liking 15 minutes of a four-hour fucking movie.
You did.
It's so funny.
Gargo my fucking balls, dude.
Now that's a t-shirt.
Yeah, let's get that.
I love turns up then.
And now I'm going to block you in the chat because I have that power.
Oh, yeah.
Silver Zaddy is on it.
That's his superhero name, by the way.
It's Silver Zaddy, because that's when Ben, I told you, he's coming, he didn't come to play today.
I did not test me with Big Monk.
Test me on Big Monk.
Okay.
I have a question for everybody because I know everybody was upset with the aspect ratio.
Why?
Why was it in that aspect ratio to begin with?
I said to, for the integrity of the film,
I thought that that was when we had TVs that were in four or three.
I don't know why.
I'm looking up because like Adam Plovick is like,
this is like his business.
And I know like he tweeted,
he's been tweeting out about it.
Let me see if I can find some of his tweets because I don't,
I don't want to speak ill because people like,
remember like Dan tweeted out something about it and like people like went to town on him.
It's like, so you can't remember.
I don't get it.
Yeah.
I don't get either.
I didn't mind it.
It bug me if like the first 50.
minutes and then I just got used to it.
Oh yeah, you get used to it.
You're not missing anything.
It's not like it's cropped.
It's not like full screen versus widescreen or anything like that.
But yeah, I think people shot that way anymore.
I mean, again, I grew up watching everything in that aspect ratio,
except for when I went to the theater,
but I don't understand why the backtracking of it.
You know, like that.
That is confused to me.
It wouldn't bug me, but I just don't understand why.
it was done that way.
What was,
how did that,
um,
preserve the,
the vision,
vision,
if you will.
So,
everybody,
if everybody sends in a thousand dollars,
telling me why,
um,
I will watch the film.
Ha,
ha ha ha,
ha.
Ryan,
do you have thoughts on
black and white?
Oh yeah.
I think,
uh,
I'll fast forward to the new stuff.
If there's new stuff,
I don't really have a massive urge
to see this in black and white.
I know that that's starting to become a bit of a gimmick.
I feel like a lot of movies have an excuse to just do a re-release.
Sometimes I think that it's an interesting thought.
Like I know Mad Max did like a shiny and chrome version,
but there was like a substantial amount of that movie that took place at night
and I actually thought like it looked really cool and was practically black and white already.
And I know that there's also like some interesting, sometimes people do this.
Sometimes people like throw a black and white just to show you like, wow,
they are just with the blocking and everything.
Like it looks so unique.
That's not, this isn't one of the movies.
Mark underscore Jason underscore Alley donated $20.
Godzilla isn't a dinosaur.
He's a radioactive lizard.
Zest JL is cooler worthy film competently made.
Some janky CGI but overall good and you don't feel the runtime aspect ratio was annoying at first.
Congrats Stefan WG milestone.
Hashtag smash cancer.
I'm reading that it's for, it was for IMAX, is why.
So I'm not, I've actually never seen an IMAX film.
I'm gonna, listen, guys, please don't stone me.
Yeah, Jesus, play.
If it comes back, you should get AMC A-List because outside, like, that's how I saw all my
IMAX movies was through A-LIS, like, because, yeah, I'm not going to pay $30 for a ticket.
I think I did it one time for Dunkirk, and that was really good.
Yeah, yeah.
But, but yeah, that's how I saw all my IMAX movies, just because three movies a week, 3D, IMAX,
Dolby, whichever one,
it's thousands of dollars saved.
Thousands.
That's awesome.
And it makes a difference.
I really do think IMAX over something like 3D is way, way more immersive.
Yeah.
But no, just little final thoughts on this.
Yeah, I think the 3-4, you actually are getting more frame than you would otherwise,
because typically they adjust or they crop it if it's a, if it's premiere on TV or just
whatever format you're watching it on.
So I think they just kind of gave it all to you.
Like, hey, here's the whole thing.
I don't know if that was out of like to save money or just kind of convenience, but that was the line that Brett alluded to earlier was like to preserve Zach's creative.
Tim Sim donated $20.
From what I heard, Zach wanted that aspect ratio to show more vertically and one day when we can safely return to theaters have that in that aspect ratio ready in IMAX release.
Yeah, I think it's all about verticality.
I think from a director's point of view, it's these people are gods.
And so you want to see them as tall as they are, as big as they are.
And so I think that's what he was going for in that way.
Well, good.
Alex, what do you think about the black and white?
Yeah, I knew I was just about to be like, I want to hear Alex's opinion because I feel like he has the answer.
What do you think about the black and white?
Do you think that's going to add to the film?
Or is that just like Brett was saying for the Zach Snyder's creative vision?
I think it's kind of just for the die-hards.
I think Zach Snyder will, I'm not sure if he, like, he wanted, he did all those trailers in black and white.
I think he's interested.
I think this color version is truly his vision,
but this black and white version is, you know, just for the diehards.
They did a parasite re-release.
I wanted to go to last year as well.
Parasite and black and white,
but again, that was just for the people who really love the movie
and wanted to see it in that version.
And it can just watch these extra scenes on YouTube.
Someone will inevitably put it up there, you know.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I'm not going to sit.
I don't want to sit through it again.
It was long.
And I think I found it.
super long because I watched 27 films from South by at South by Southwest in five days.
And I think it's just like, you know, they're all like 90 to 100 minutes long.
And so I was used, I was kind of trained to watch movies in that kind of format.
And so just this one continuous story was kind of, it was kind of, kind of hard, harder to do once I, you know, had been trained to do shorter movies.
Yeah.
Damn.
And that image from the TV behind you there, Alex.
Over your left toilet.
Is that Brett? Sheridan.
Yeah, he's eating a banana.
Sit Brett.
Is that Brett behind you?
ASMR banana.
Got some DC movie news here, too.
DC Films Taps promising young woman director Emerald Fennell to write Zatana superhero movie.
What?
That's amazing.
Wow.
Can you read more about that, Ben?
The Oscar nominated director of Promising Young Woman is taking on a different kind of vigilante.
She's been tapped to write Zatana.
The upcoming installment in the DCEU will be Zatana's first franchise appearance.
She's known for her involvement in the Justice League, though her character's never appeared in a DC movie.
Serenda Swan previously portrayed Zatana, making the superhero's live action debut in the CW show Smallville.
Zatana is a magician, considered one of the most powerful sorcerers in the DC universe.
Her magical abilities are generic as her dad.
Giovanni Satara was also an alchemist.
So that's, it seems, I think they saw the success of Wanda Vision.
They're like, let's green light it, baby.
Yeah, that sounds sick.
I think they should.
The whole witch thing makes Wanda Vision way cooler than most characters.
I think, yeah, she's one of the younger Justice League, you know, kind of dark Justice League.
heroes.
And they had actually
I think they were trying to develop a TV series
for her.
But I guess now they're moving it to movies.
And to get Emerald Finnell, awesome. I love it.
Seriously. But yeah, I like
I've always liked Zatana. She's great in Justice
League and in Young Justice.
If you guys haven't seen that, best animation show.
And the new DC animated movies, which are all on HBO
Max, Zatana's in a few of them as well.
Wait, what's the best show?
Young Justice.
That's my favorite.
Oh, nice.
And the time is in that one quite a bit, and she's really, she's like a really cool, um, uh, character.
And like her spells are like words backwards.
So it's, it's really cool to see.
That is sick.
This is, uh, if someone wanted to learn how to write a comic book movie, what,
where could they learn that?
Oh my gosh, you guys.
There's a plethora of resources coming your way.
with Masterclass.
Masterclass is one of our most exciting sponsors.
There's a link in the description below.
With Masterclass, you can learn from the world's best minds
anytime, any place, anywhere, and at your own pace.
You can learn from Aaron Sorkin on how to do some screenwriting.
I know Steph took a course with Aaron Sorkin
through Masterclass, and it's a really simple way
to walk you through the steps, and you can do that thing
that you've always wanted to learn.
There's over 100 classes from a range worldwide instructors,
and you can get that thing that you've always wanted to do.
a lot closer than you think. So I highly recommend you check it out. You can get unlimited access to every
masterclass and as an SCN live listener, you get 15% off an annual membership. So go to masterclass.com
slash SCN live. That's masterclass.com slash SCN live for 15% off masterclass. I know I did the Ken
Burns documentary filmmaking. I'm already on class two, program two with that. And I'm also doing
the Gordon Ramsey cooking show.
I think it's just funny seeing him not yell at people like he does on Food Network.
He really, like, walks you through it.
But guys, I can go, you know your own pace.
You can do it anytime, any place, anywhere.
And Steph, I know specifically with screenwriting, since you do a lot of screenwriting.
You did the Aaron Sorkin one, right?
Yeah, I'm actually Oscar nominated now.
Wow.
Oh, wow.
About time.
Yeah, in my future, I saw it.
But, yeah, I took the class and it was sick.
Like I never was, I trained like a writer in school or anything.
That's not what I majored in.
So I don't have some of the techniques that you would need to actually get your script sold.
And it was so helpful.
I also took the Issa Ray.
It's a creative class.
And I'm obsessed with her.
I think she's one of the best creators working.
And just to be able to hear her and have her advice on things is really, really cool.
And I sometimes I listen to it as a podcast.
If I'm getting ready and I'll just put it down.
Like you don't need, you can.
watch it or just listen to it.
Yeah, there's a lot of incredible classes and different techniques with a lot of the instructors.
So we highly recommend you check it out.
Again, the link is in the description below.
Check out Masterclass, you guys.
Now, back to the show.
Back to the show.
Y'all, I need everyone to wake up in the chat right now.
It's Monday morning and we are not making moves as we should.
We're trying to party this Monday, okay?
I got a new karaoke mic.
If you want to tempt me, I will bring.
that baby out if we break 600 today and it will be maybe we can get Shakira um i know that she's
been missed because she's so amazing so yeah keep sending in super chat stream labs much appreciated
alex what do we have next uh we got next a third ace Ventura movie may be in the works as
the same sorry go ahead as a team at morgan creek productions talked about the company's library
and hints of that Ace Ventura Mayhead on another adventure, appropriately on Amazon, with Sonic the Hedgehog writers.
It's a note that this is still a rumor, but Steph, would you want to see another Ace Ventura movie?
I know Brett would.
I wouldn't mind seeing another one, but I thought it was interesting.
He said, like, everyone is so in love with these reboots and, like, clamming for these reboots.
And it's not that I'm like, no, I don't want to see this when I hear about them.
You know, like, I'm excited about Dune.
I thought sex in the city.
I wasn't like, yes, I need to see this.
I'm like, that's cool for people who love sex in the city.
But I feel like it's more like this is the way that these networks are pushing it on us.
They're like, you must want to watch these reboots.
So we're just going to keep making these reboots.
But in reality, I feel like people love new shit.
They want to see new stuff.
So I would see an Ace Ventura third movie or reboot, whatever they want to do.
But I wouldn't be like dying to see it.
But was that a joke by Alex?
Yeah, actually.
No, I think.
it's, I mean, it's, it's been
too long. It's, it's kind of,
I don't know why. I mean, let's put
Jim Carrey in some new stuff. I mean,
I still love him, you know, and
I know, I didn't see Sonic, but I heard great
things about him in Sonic, but like,
A, Spenture, I mean, this is like,
I remember, this was like when my
little, my brother and
sister were small, and my sister called
it Pet Ventura. We,
we thought it was so funny, but like, that's
how long ago this was. These were small
children. I don't know what
audience you're going to bring into this with new audiences.
You know, I mean, I was still iffy about coming to America.
I was pleasantly surprised in how much I did enjoy that.
I wasn't blown away, but I did enjoy it.
But this one just seems like, what?
Really?
You know, like, I don't know.
It's just not.
And it's, oh, I don't know.
Yeah.
What do you think?
Everyone else as I ramble off.
He was like according to the three million Facebook page of Ace Ventura, we all want it.
But I don't know. Ben, what are what do you think?
I don't know.
Like dumb and dumber.
It's tough.
It's like it rarely works.
I still have, I need to.
I'm still catching up on new movies.
So I haven't seen coming to America.
I've heard mixed things.
Some people, you know, like Brett enjoy other people.
It felt kind of flat for them.
And it's hard to follow up.
It's one thing to, you know, like a 21 jump street where you completely revamp it to do
that but like this is like a classic comedy and like and i think when nature calls is a pretty solid
sequel so it's it's tough to follow up too pretty good like you know like dumb and dumber didn't
work out uh dumb and dumber two and so i mean i'm i'm cautiously optimistic because he was so good
and sonic and it felt like that 90s jim carry again but give me sonic too and and do that instead
i don't need like an ace ventura like jim carry can be jim carry in anything and
and I'm going to be there.
I just don't know why they're bringing back Ace Ventura.
Like, it's not going to get the kids in the seats either.
It's not going to be like, oh, Ace Ventura's going to be like, okay.
Like people will go see Jim Carrey.
But, you know, like that scene with Steve Carell and him from Bruce Almighty is like one of the most viewed YouTube clips of all time.
Because it's like this two comedians just being amazing with each other.
But yeah, I don't know.
I'm cautiously optimistic about it.
but these long sequels like rarely ever work.
Yeah. Marzonia, are you excited about a potential third Ace Ventura
and how do you feel about reboots in general?
I feel the same way about everyone else.
Like who will this movie really be for?
They did Dumber and Dumber 2, which was also, you know, very critically panned.
I think Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber are the only sequels he's ever done
and then now Sonic the Hedgehog.
But I don't know.
With all these reboots, again, yeah, who are they for?
I'm not really interested in it, but hopefully someone is,
and that's one of those 300 million people will watch it.
Ryan, could you be that special someone?
I think I can.
Excuse me.
I think I can.
I actually wrote down some thoughts right here around Ace Ventura,
Pet Detective 3.
I think this news is pandemonium.
I think all other thoughts on it are ear elephants.
Am I owl by myself here?
I'll be, you guys got to be kidding me.
I think this movie has a tall meantin to climb.
Not being such a chicken, Ryan, and say what you really think.
This is Nelson.
I'll pack of my bags and get out here.
You'll pack and term your bags.
I'll pack and term my bags.
Oh my God.
Yeah, no, I think this movie has some reservations for me.
You know, just with comedy sequels, there's always a little like, all right, and they've
already had a sequel to the first one, which I don't love as much as the first one to be in with.
But I do think the nature of the character of Ace Ventura actually lends itself to a lot.
more stories. So like unlike an Anchorman to or even a dumb and dumber two where I feel like
it's a combination of like wow this was like right place, right time, right era. It's a detective
at the end of the day. So I really do think you could have some fun, you know,
MK in the MK Songbird in the chat beat you so bad. Ace Ventura three seems like a bit of
ostrich.
Get fucking owned, Ryan.
Ryan.
No.
He's got doped on, bro.
It didn't it say that like Jim Carrey might not be,
I mean, if you do it with somebody else, no, 100% no, thank.
Never, never, never, never.
Not a chance.
You know, if you're going to do it, it has to be him.
And I think there's a better way to bring Jim Carrey back into the fold after the Sonic,
you know, success that he had, you know.
And I think, yeah, let's bring him into something new and not.
some something that was god it's i mean i love lowbrow humor but i don't know if people enjoy it that
much these days i just don't want to turn to a parrot tea oh my god bang that
okay here's the thing ben i think that you now have to do something with me i think the broader
band has to reunite and do a karaoke let me know i'm i'm i'm in for it honestly today if we break
500 the broader band is rejoining and we're doing karaoke what's on
could we do together?
Yeah, you guys put in some ideas in the chat or stream labs for sure because I'm down for it.
But no, Ryan does make a good point that like the detective side of this, you could write,
I feel like lends itself to more of a serial story.
Like coming up with a new story for, you know, Harry and Lloyd to get into his tough,
Anchorman story.
Like I like Anchorman to more than most people, but, you know, it felt very thin.
But like he's a pet detective.
If he can find another pet, he can go on another adventure.
Like, it's really easy to, like, fit him into a different story.
Like, diehard with a vengeance wasn't a diehard movie.
Like, it wasn't a John McLean movie, but they put him in it, and it worked really well.
Ais Ventura did have a animated TV series back in the 90s, so they did kind of explore it a little bit.
So I think maybe something like that would be a better fit than a third movie like this.
I agree.
Because I love that Jurassic part, that Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous show.
On Netflix, that was a fun little kid show, and I do not like either of those movies.
I want like a seven Ace Ventura, like a gritty, dark.
Give me Zach Snyder's Ace Ventura.
Yes.
Give me a black and white Jared Leto Joker, Ace Ventura movie right now.
Yes.
That's what I'm talking about.
Give me Kong versus Godzilla with Ace Ventura.
Yes.
Do you think Ace Ventura shaved?
his balls. Oh, 100% and they are smoking. No, that's a different movie.
It was just so close. When he does it, he talks out of his butt. So, COVID spring break is right
around the corner, folks. And you know what that means? Don't go to Florida. Also, just
spend some spring break in your pants. Okay? That's a, it's here to ensure that the

That was unbearable.
Oh, my God.
S.E.N. 20, guys. S.C.N. 20.
S. N20. XN. XN. X. Ben, should we sing? She banged by William Hung?
Yes.
Oh.
Are you in for that?
Can't, okay, can I, you can sing it like William Hung.
I don't want to be like, I just don't want to.
No, no, we sing it or I'm not gonna impersonate him.
I just like a song.
Because the songs by Ricky Martin.
Oh yeah, oh my God, that's how iconic William Hung is.
You didn't know that?
I forgot.
I forgot.
You literally just exploded like this Slim Jim man.
You didn't know that.
And eat of Snickers.
You get mad to stuff for not no one.
Ricky Martin songs when you're tired. Wow. Ricky Martin is a gay icon. My bad. My bad. Sorry. Love you,
Ricky Martin. Yeah, that's a good, that's a good contender for us. If we break 500, the broader
band.
Oh!
Oh!
Uniting. Do you hear that? Okay. Okay. Alex, what do we have next?
We were just talking about some 90s stuff and I realized we have a lot of other 90s news that I sent you
guys so let's just combine them all here let's see if you think about any of the what do you think about any of these
uh face off stars could be coming back john travolta and nicholas cage could be returning for the
adam wingard uh directed sequel uh and we don't know in what capacity but they are seemingly
interested in returning if they have roles um matth mcconahe is returning to his role in a time to kill
in a hbo sequel series and we also have andy garcia leading the father of the bride
remake, which will be the third version of this movie after the Spencer Tracy and Steve Martin
led one. But this one will be, of course, the Latin X version of the story. So what do you guys
think about these three 90s reboots, sequels? Steph, what do you got? What was the first one
my audio cut out? You got face off. Was the first one. Oh, face off. I've been waiting for that
my entire life. So thank God I had you repeat that. So excited.
Um, and then what, what, sorry, can you repeat the other two?
Yeah, yeah, face off a time to kill and father of the bride.
Oh, perfect.
Oh, perfect, perfect.
You know, I'm not familiar with these three films.
Has anyone seen these?
Are you looking forward to a reboot of this?
I think face off, you have to bring back like John Travolta and, uh, Nicholas Cage.
If you're going to do it, I think that is the definition of a time capsule movie.
Mm-hmm.
I don't think you can.
you know capture that lightning in a bottle that you did um but if you if you are trying to you need to
bring the back as castor troy and i don't know what nick was john trouble his character is um
but uh yeah i don't know that's tough matthew mcconi as long as they make him as sweaty as they
did in a time to kill again because he is just straight sweaty the entire time because it takes
place in the south and it's just like the sweatiest movie uh i hope sander bullet comes
back for it too because they're a great pairing in that movie.
And then Father the Bride, I actually like both Father the Bride and
is it just Father Bride part two?
Yeah. Okay. I got, if Martin Short, can Martin Short come back as well?
Yeah. I want Martin Short to come back in that movie. I think that would be a great pairing
Martin Short and Andy Garcia.
Brett, how are you feeling? I, yeah, I agree with Ben, definitely. You can't do face off without
Cage and Travolta.
And that would be the selling point right there.
I think because of the ridiculousness of it to begin with,
and it's become kind of this goofy film that we make fun of,
but then if they come back and they're totally on board
with like being silly and they take it up a notch with it
and just like maybe they're switching faces with other people,
I mean, I think this could be a fun one.
Father Bride was a classic.
It's a total tearjerker.
I don't think I could actually watch it.
Now, I actually watched it with my mother before I went to college,
and we both weeped openly about it.
Even though it wasn't about somebody going to college,
it was just kind of breaking away from your parents.
But, yeah, I mean, that one I think could be reboot
with a totally different cast or whatever.
I'm not sure about the Martin Short thing.
Is that a little stereotypical?
Is that a little...
Oh, yeah, that's true.
true that's a good point it's a little yeah so I don't know but uh and then the other one I
didn't see time to kill um yeah this is it's a solid courtroom drama is this just like
like I mean they're definitely making me feel like people are like I'm tired of write new things
like time let's just reboot every that's what I was saying in the beginning when the
guy um who what what story was that with the oh with the A.
Ventura how the creator was like yeah people are clamoring clamoring for this i'm like where i haven't seen
that anywhere no no one's ever like i need to see this again ryan with these three films in particular
any excite you oh yeah well with face off first off i think it's been proven that there can be an
iteration of that especially with like the more recent jimangi movies where that's basically face off
with these actors but it's in the jimongi verse but when it comes to like actually doing a reboot of the
movie face off. I don't want to see that. I hope that they make like at least some kind of change,
whether it's with the plot, the story, or the characters. I think it'd be kind of fun if they did get
Travolta and Nick Cage back. Like that I might be a little interested. I'd be kind of confused
where they're going with that though. But I really do think that they don't need to do an exact remake.
Like just take that premise of we're swapping faces and one actor's doing an impression of the other.
and the world's your oyster.
I think you can go with anyone.
When it comes to a time to kill,
I actually just saw this for the first time,
like quite recently,
and I was really into it.
I'd love to see Sandra Will come back.
She hasn't been in much as of late.
So I don't know if she's got,
like, a bunch of stuff on the horizon or not,
but I think that this would be really cool.
She does.
She does?
Because the last thing I kind of remember was Ocean's 8.
But, um.
Yeah, Alex has a story.
story for us about it. Oh.
T. T.
T.
So we get to it now?
T.
Shall we dance? Or if you, do you have any thoughts on this, though, Alex?
I actually don't. I haven't seen these.
So, uh, I, yeah.
Bird box. How could you forget bird box?
Oh my God, Ryan.
I, I couldn't see it. I had to be mindful to it.
Wow.
I could only hear it.
Between Ryan and Ben, I feel suffocated in father jokes.
Well, guess what? Two can play this game.
I thought we were gonna do Sandra Bullock puns now.
The way you went like this too? Oh my god.
Oh my god. Nailed it.
Well, I got a proposal for you, staff.
Oh my god.
You really blindsided me on that one.
Let's not make this all about Steve, Ryan.
Oh, man. Oh man, I can feel the heat coming on.
Wow, wow.
I know demolition this show, man.
I know Steph is miscongeniality.
I was, uh, good one.
I was about to be like, as miscongeniality,
I would like to throw back to Alex for the next story
to shut these people on.
It looks like you crashed.
Oh, God, oh no.
So I've got her IMDB right here, so I'm just going down the list.
Oh, I thought these are all from memory then.
You shouldn't have said.
Oh, geez, keep everyone watching.
Super chat, stream labs in any of your opinions on this reboot and make them stop.
You don't have to pay me to stop.
Sandra Bullock.
Yeah, please, you guys, please, they won't stop unless you start sending in stuff.
Yes, the Snowbite needs to interrupt me to stop me from.
Yeah, yeah, please.
Well, let's stay on this beat.
Keep on.
Let's stay on this beat.
Sandy Bullock is going to be in a movie called The Lost City of D,
which is a romantic adventure
about a reclusive romance novelist
who was sure nothing could be worse
than getting stuck on a book tour
with her cover model,
played by Channing Tatum.
Kidnapping attempt
sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure
proving life could be so much stranger
and more romantic than any of her paperback fictions.
The villain role will be played by Daniel Radcliffe
and I think they're going to start shooting soon.
So Steph, what do you think about this premise
in Sandy Bee being in this movie?
I'm excited for a Sandra B.
Bullock Channing Tatum team up.
That sounds like a lot of hotness and talent on screen.
And I haven't seen, I mean, other than obviously Ryan
for getting bird box, it is exciting to see Sandra Bullock and more.
And I haven't seen Channing Tatum.
I don't know if I've seen him in anything since Magic Mike.
And I hated that movie.
But I loved him and step up must must proclaim that.
Must proclaim that.
But I, what?
Good.
No, go ahead.
Go ahead.
Finish it.
Go, Ben.
one lost city of D
amazing
two this sounds exactly like
romancing the stone
like this is like
like the premise of this
yeah the premise that's like the exact same thing
am I the only one that I'm not
I don't know yeah it
I do think this cast is stacked
I'm also really curious when you mentioned
romancing the stone
these the two directors doing this
haven't really done like a feature before
so that
I think there's a lot of stuff behind the scenes I'm probably not privy to when it comes to this movie.
But it's, I forgot about 21 Jump Street.
My bad.
I forgot about 21 Jump Street.
That was disrespectful.
Oh, our stream went now.
No, no, we're good.
Sorry.
Sorry, I froze.
I didn't mean to freeze you guys.
Yeah.
You go, Ben.
Oh, no, no, no.
Like, I would, it just, one, I hope it's a working title.
Lost City of D.
And it's, uh, I mean, I know I'm immature, but.
Come on.
And especially, like, not even the fact that there's literally a movie called the Lost City of Z.
Like, that's a real movie.
So just like that's just-
Lost City of D.
All the lost dicks come to the city.
That's been the last year of quarantine for Steph, the Lost City of D.
You don't even need to change the name.
But why are you here?
Why are you here?
The porn parody writes itself.
Come on, you can't do that.
You can't.
That is the porn parody of the Lost City.
of Z. I mean, honestly,
can someone look at, there's probably
a porn that says, The Lost City of D
in that there's just like,
Dick doorknobs, Dick Doors,
like Dick Guards.
Any other things besides the door,
door, door accessories? Door,
door knobs. Door knobs. There's
door stoppers. Door knockers. There's
Dick door lockers. There's Dick door locks.
Dick locks.
Dick locks. There's Dick ring cams.
Yeah, it's not a big deal.
doorbells.
Doorbells.
What would that sound like?
Bang bang.
Instead of ding-dong, it's just dong, dong.
Dog-dong.
Oh, my gosh.
But how do you all feel about Daniel Rodcliffe as if, oh, my God?
Ben, the way that that made you laugh,
the way that you crack yourself up is impressive.
Wow.
Reminder that at 500, Ben and I are,
performing a duet together. So get those streamlines.
Come on, people.
Yeah, keep them coming, all. Please, we appreciate it.
We want to hear your thoughts, opinions, concerns, whatever it may be.
But I'm interested about this Daniel Radcliffe part.
I hate that I'm the type of person that, like, cannot take him out of the Harry Potter role.
But I just, I haven't been in his past movies that I've seen him in.
him as a villain kind of intrigues me but also it reminds me of like you know when he's like wearing the whore crux and he starts to get moody yeah i hated seeing harry like that
so i don't know if i'm going to watch like watching him in an entire movie be some psychopath
i liked him in um swiss army man i didn't see guns of kimbo i heard that was guns kimbo was really fun
but swiss army man's a great movie if you need to see him outside of harry potter it's a good start
but I think this would be, I think it'd be fun.
I like it.
I understand that you can only see him as Harry Potter for sure,
but I think it would be,
I think it'd be a fun role for him if they make him like super, like,
corny and, like, you know,
they make him like Danny DeVito and romancing the Stone.
I think it would be great.
Ryan, what do you think?
I know you're a Harry Potter fan.
I'm a Harry Potter stand.
Yeah.
Oh, I might even watch one yesterday.
But I, uh, I'm really, I watched Half Blood Prince.
Okay.
That's actually my favorite.
I love Blackfoot prints.
But, uh, I might have one.
But I'm really, I feel the same way about Daniel Radcliffe.
I don't think he's had that role or that movie that's really, like, separated him from Harry Potter quite yet.
I do think, like, Indies like the Swiss Army Man's have gotten close.
But again, like, I think that was more because of how he was a bit of, like, a prop in that movie and not doing as much acting.
This sounds, you're right, the title's kind of weird.
It does sound a lot like Romancing Stone, but I think this sounds really exciting.
And it sounds like a hit.
I think I love to see this combo of Sandra Bolic and Channing Tatum.
I think that that would be a really like great team up, oddly enough.
I think they just have like an interesting or similar comedy or like Sandra Bokes
usually like more dramatic than she has these fliers of comedy and chain tams the reverse.
And I think they could really bounce off each other quite well.
And seeing Daniel Radcliffe in a villain role, I think is the perfect direction to go after being a hero for a better part of a decade.
Are you excited about the three actors announced on this in the plot?
I'm sorry.
I was looking up how to pronounce the play he was in where he showed his wiener
and then it just was on a loop.
But I think you'd see Daniel Radcliffe in a different way
if you saw his weiner in a play and maybe it would allow him to break free from his
Harry Potter.
If you saw Harry Potter in a show,
Yeah, I liked, and Swiss Army Man was super fun.
You know, I mean, there wasn't much to the role, but it was super cool.
It wasn't like he was, yeah, I mean, spoiler, it's a dead guy.
But, yeah, I think he could do villainy stuff, and I think he's getting to the point where maybe we can start, you know, he's getting older.
We can not see him as Harry Potter.
I'd like that for him because I know that's tough for actors that do something that's so.
iconic and they're trying to break away from it. And I see him as somebody that can do it.
It's just going to take, you know, the right project and maybe the House of D. And I don't know,
are they going to put this one on Peacock or?
Oh my God. Yeah. You're going to Netflix and chill to the House of D?
Oh, my goodness. Wow.
Lost City.
Alex, what are your thoughts?
House of D. Yeah, you could have.
seen as D and Echewis.
Yeah.
I think that's how it's pronounced.
But yeah, yeah, it's cool to see Daniel Reckcliffe branching out.
You've seen a lot like Chris Evans, Tom Holland, you know, taking more villainous, or not
villainous, more mature roles.
And so Daniel Reckcliffe, maybe he's starting to find out he's a better character actor.
You see that with a lot of, you know, people that make it big.
But it's cool to see these three people be in a movie together.
They obviously haven't been in too much big things since 2018.
So I'm happy for them.
It'll be fun.
I'm ready to get in that ship and find this Lost City of the D.
Yeah, Wans out.
Wands out.
Okay, I'm speaking directly to the Shmodam community.
If you're watching right now, I know times are tough, but you have $5, $10, $20.
Whatever you can give, send in your stream lab super chats.
The broader band will be doing a live karaoke once we break 500.
So whatever you have to give is so appreciated and loved.
Send those into streamlabs.com slash the Shmodown.
Alex, what's next?
And you know, speaking of Shmodown, we had a wonderful, wonderful paper view last Friday.
The first match was Viviani versus Oyama, great match.
And the second match was a Star Wars title match.
If you want to watch that, that's available for patrons.
and I think you can still rent it on the Shmodon Live.com,
so make sure you check that out.
But today we have video Drew versus Elliot Dewberry dropping for patrons.
So make sure you are a patron and you'll get that today.
Otherwise, you'll get it on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
So make sure you become a Shmodown patron.
I believe it's patreon.com slash shmodown.
Check that out.
Yes.
Yeah, the $10 levels where it's at for Patreon, guys,
we have three paper views a month
so many amazing matches coming up
I think this Friday is Ben Bateman
versus Mark Riley
so that's a huge
one right there so little and
especially with last Friday's pay-per-view
like that alone is worth
so much more than $10 like
and we're treating this like a sport
so there's going to be spoilers on Twitter
there's going to be spoilers you know in
like on Monday show and backstage
every week so get in
get in that that Patreon guys
it's worth every single penny, I promise you.
Yeah, it was crazy.
I might be bold enough to say my favorite match of all time.
It's possible.
I'm trying to step back and not be too recency biased about it,
but it was insanity.
Like, I will say that much.
It's definitely top five for sure.
I don't know if it's my favorite just yet,
but oh my gosh, the knowledge those two dudes,
like one, Paul and Bibbs was a great match to start the night off
and then the Star Wars match.
Oh, dear.
Holy cow.
Oh, dear. Oh, dear.
Oh, my, yeah, the Star Wars match was insane.
The whole event was insane.
Yeah, you have to check it out if you haven't already.
I wish we could spoil it, but we can't.
You cannot.
Alex, what's going on next?
Let's get to some stream labs just because I know if Ellis is coming here,
then we'll have a bit of time.
So, 156.
Oh, yeah, Mark Ellis might show up.
Yes.
Is he showing up today?
He was on in the...
email I will get more info shortly okay um Alex what were you saying all right yeah so
156 simple says my birthday was this weekend I was out and my friend who worked also got drunk
because at this bar people give bartender's drinks it's weird I think my friend got mad at
me because I was drinking a lot but my friend drank a lot too why did they get mad well
was that a joke I don't think I don't think so I just you just pull the trigger okay first of
all happy birthday 156 impulse second of all
when people drink weird shit happens
um i would just talk about it and figure it out but if they're like being
i'd have a donation uh or replay right now it's from house
did someone pick up the phone in your house or something right
someone did pick up the phone in my house
uh but i'm replaying the stream lab right quick um from house of d
uh thank you trying to replay it but basically they said i hear you're all talking
about me i can confirm the reports
that my house has all the D.
Let's hit that goal.
Nice.
Yes, let's hit that goal.
Y'all, please send in your streamlap super chats right now.
Anything you have to give is so appreciated.
And the Broderd band will be reuniting once we hit 500.
So send those in.
Don't stop.
Alex, what have we got next?
Yeah, Ryan needs to get some broadband internet, right?
I have a question too.
Broderd.
Why haven't I been asked to host again since I had my last,
wonderful hosting thing.
Should we, for 600, I'll host another show.
I know the fans have been clamoring, clamoring for me to do it.
Hell, if we get to a thousand, I'll do it a couple weeks,
and maybe we get to, what should we said?
I'll do a whole week of me just tap dancing
and not being able to hold a train of thought.
It's like you pay for a full week of Sheridan.
So there it is.
And then what was for one, for one, it was.
Just one, we'll do 600.
Six hundred.
Brett Sheridan hosts again.
So let's get those going.
1K gets two days, 2K gets a full week.
Wow.
But we do have a very special person
who has just arrived.
Mark Ellis in the building.
That's the Schmobot bringer in.
He is Mark.
That's what we needed this whole time.
Mark, you're muted.
And he's on vacation.
He's, I can't hear you.
Mark.
We can't hear that golden throat, buddy.
A golden throat.
Maybe take the audio settings, we'll let you know when we can hear you.
If you can hear me, you look very cute in the hoodie and hot.
Yeah.
If you're going to pretend you're at the Caribbean, you need to move your camera a little bit over.
I mean, I can rock with the built-in microphone, but it doesn't sound that good.
It's not horrible.
Let's be honest.
I'm only going to say like 19 words on this entire show.
Mark, don't talk like that.
No, do talk like that.
Interrupt Mark.
There, see?
I hear you all were talking about me.
I can confirm the reports that my house has all the D lets hit but go.
There you go.
A whole house of D.
House of D. Welcome, Mark.
It is great to see everyone.
I heard a little bit on the way home from the freezing place.
And I just want to say, I'm so glad that I missed.
all of the Sandra Bullock references because you all were casting a wide net.
Mark, the whole car ride was like, I can't wait to get there in time to give this joke.
Yeah, I was nervous because Goddard kept counting down like the IMDB.
And I was like, don't hit the net.
Don't hit the net.
That's mine.
That one's me.
My God.
Wow.
Have you seen the net?
Have you seen the net?
No.
What is it?
Pitch it to me.
It's the most.
dated movie of all time, but it was like a shocking revelation when it came out in 1994, I want to say.
Because basically, Sandra Bullock is this computer programmer, and get this, she can order a pizza.
Are you ready for this?
I'll be sitting down from her computer.
Why?
No!
Anyway, so her world is turned upside down because somebody's stealing her identity, and it all is because this floppy disk with all this code fell into the wrong hand.
So we have to go get that one floppy disc or else all is lost.
It's great.
Dennis Miller pops up.
It's crazy.
Ben, Mark came back just in time to revive the Sandra Boloch pun.
So thank you so much for starting that.
Oh, damn it, Mark.
Yeah, yeah, you missed it.
He came in with the net.
You know, Ben, I got to say between the gray pullover you have and your hair,
you look like one of the future minors.
from Bill and Ted's excellent adventure.
Oh, thank you.
You look like you're from 500 years in the future.
Interrupting Ellis donated $20.
Yes. Hello again, my old nemesis baby carrots.
Did you miss me?
That was it.
There we go.
No, no.
The answer is no.
I did not.
Glad they all are contributing to the show,
because Steph's doing a great job posting,
and I know I'm late to this party as well,
but congrats to the World Girls
on an incredible live, really con, con,
yesterday because it was entertaining throughout and I'm glad so many of our family and friends could have
popped on there and it's good to see everyone I haven't seen Alex and Ben it's like it's been a while
the other guy yeah yeah well thanks for coming Mark the roast was a hilarious and definite highlight of
the day and to remind everyone at 600 Brett will be hosting again and then what did we set for a whole week
Brett. Well, 1K for two days, 2K for a whole week. 100% this is going to happen within 15 minutes. Everybody loves me is what I tell myself every day. And just for the audio listeners, let's see. There you go. Equus. I just want to remind everybody of the thing I just learned. Yeah, great seeing you, Mark. I know there's some exciting stuff that's going to be happening here in about five minutes that we're.
What are you?
Are you okay, Brett?
I've never been okay.
Check on your friends.
Ask how they are.
Just ask a question.
Alex, what do we have next?
Justin Square says,
Try to give you warning,
but everyone ignores me.
Hold you wet, but thin, loud and clear,
but nobody's listening.
Thank you very much.
Happy Monday,
and crew.
Yeah.
Thank you so much.
much for that but what what song was that I feel like I was on a different planet than all of you
Lincoln Park dog yeah meteorah Lincoln Park bra my bad my bad Lincoln Park
okay oh what's next Alex all right Dildobagin says hello everyone NBA talk I think Brett needs to go to
the bathroom Alex how about them Lakers
Mall, your overrated Sixers almost lost to the freaking Knicks last night.
Well, they didn't.
Can we get Ellis's thoughts on the state of the Nets and Lakers injuries?
Thanks.
Yeah, it's crazy how much my mind has just been inundated with college basketball this entire weekend.
I didn't realize until this morning at 5 a.m.
I couldn't sleep, so when I can't sleep, I treat myself to McDonald's breakfast.
So I was at the McDonald's 5.3.
At 5 a.m.
And I was looking at ESPN.com.
And that is how.
I knew LeBron has a high ankle sprain.
Then I saw the injury.
Any other player that ends their season.
He's just an inhuman.
He's on another level of greatness that that's going to keep him sideline for a month.
So the Nets, I hate to say it might be the favorite to win the championship.
Okay.
So, Mark, what are social media interns at Bleacher Report, Ball is Life and SportsCenter
are going to do?
because La Mello Ball and LeBron are both out.
Who are they going to tweet about 90 times a fucking day?
Yeah, they really need Kyrie Irving to start burning sage again or do something.
Le Mello's out too?
Yeah, broken wrist.
Yeah, that's a bummer.
He went well too.
Was that after he said he didn't care about playing LeBron?
Or before.
That was so shady.
I never pay attention to the drama, but I was like,
Like you're going to get hex fra and I'm just saying.
I think that comes from his dad because I think his dad claimed that he could beat Michael Jordan or LeBron James in one-on-one.
And so I think that his dad just kind of funnel some of that crap into his kids.
Yeah, he's a really sweet guy.
We do know they couldn't beat Joel Embed who you also omitted by saying who's out and who people are not tweeting about Ben.
I do think that's another.
She belongs on that Mount Rushmore, people that are hurt right now.
know. But yeah, the Sixers have been really stressful to watch. In fact, Mark texts me sometimes
and like makes my day. But last week when they were playing the bucks, I had like almost a heart
attack because I went into overtime. And that same thing happened to me last night. Yeah, everyone has to
know your friends and know what your friends can take. Like for me, I think most of my friends
realize if the Washington football team loses, I don't want your text. I don't want your text making
fun of me. I don't want your consolation text. I don't want you to say I'm here for you. I just
want to be alone and I want to walk the dog for an hour. I did text Ryan after they lost
to the bucks in overtime just to make sure he was okay and that's how I check in on people unless
that people is a Cowboys fan like Ben. I think Ben and I might have had a conversation in the first
quarter of the Thanksgiving game between Dallas and Washington and then we just- Mark was smart enough
and I respected it and I didn't text Mark like when we beat him the first time and then because
it was a great game of two really best.
had teams in the first half. And then after Thanksgiving dinner, I turned on the TV and we were
losing by 20. And I didn't hear from Mark for the rest of the day. And I needed that. I was just
like, yeah, I give you a spirit. Oh, yes. Is there is a stereo after show today? Yes, there is
Steph Sabra. It's with Christian Harloff. He's back. He's back, ladies gentlemen. I love to do stereotypes like
this. At 12 or 5 today, we're going to be talking everything, Schmowdown, probably. And I'll be trying to
chime in and give my opinion.
But no, come on, join the party.
Send us your questions.
Send us your impressions.
We have a lot of fun on there.
And it's basically just a party.
A different party than the Manscape Dad mentioned, but it's a party.
And, yeah, 1205, go to www.
Stereo.com slash Christian Harloff or slash Brett Sheridan.
Join up the Stereo fun and come over and talk about the post show.
S-C-N and we're going to talk about all things
Ace Ventura. I'm for sure. I want to hear fancasting
for Ace Ventura. Father the bride. Think of any other
maybe we should Smobot in for this, you know,
that we can talk about later about any other
movies you don't think should be made. So come check it out
1205. P.T. Which is
Mark underscore Jason underscore Alley donated $20.
Congrats on hosting Steph Ellis. You were hilarious last
night on the birthday marathon for the
World Girls. The WG
merch is awesome. Brett you and
Kate were hilariously entertaining
too. Hashtag smash
cancer hashtag world girls
one year anniversary.
Thank you.
Thank you. Yeah. Brett and
Kate and Mark were like
unreal. I haven't laughed
that hard in so long. Thank you guys
for coming again. Ryan, how far
are we away from our goal of having Brett
shared and host? We are.
318 away.
318 away. Let's fucking go.
We're not that fuck.
Streamlap, super chat in right now to get Brett Sheridan back hosting.
It's always a good time when he's on the panel.
It's an even better time when he's hosting.
So get those in right now.
Alex, what do we have next?
Popcorn says, hi,
Alice, do you feel insecure that your son has a deeper voice than you?
Also, what's everyone's favorite color?
I'll start with.
the easy question first. My favorite color is the green lightsaber that Luke has in return of a
Jedi. That's my favorite color, followed closely by the blue lightsaber that he inherits from his
father that may have killed some kids back in the day. As far as my son, I think every parent wants
for their son to surpass them in all phases of life. And so the fact that Ryan might have a slightly
deeper voice than me means that I am procreating in the right way and that I'm propagating the species
He's bigger, better, swift or higher, strong.
It's not just nature, it's nurture folks, okay?
Yes.
Yeah.
I love you.
Go fishing.
Let's go fit.
Not this weekend because I'm busy with that girl that I want your mom for.
But maybe June?
Man, that's been the, yeah, it's been the reason for a while now.
How does that feel, Rye?
It feels, it makes me feel like my favorite color, which is red.
I am mad.
What is the tier?
How much money do we have to make for Steph just to give me and Ryan father-son therapy for two hours?
That's the entire show one day.
Oh, my God.
Yes.
Not to throw shade, but it'd be a better therapy session than Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
But I would love to do that.
I would love to do that with y'all.
That would be the best.
So Ryan's red.
My favorite color is green.
I guess it should have been the lightsaber choice, but it's just.
just a nice and mold green it's good shade of green that is that is Ben what's your favorite color
i got to speak out just a sec because my my daughter not suencibly donated 68 dollars
it's 238 m here good night math's debaters math debaters good night and thank you for that
donation yes that's awesome mark where are you going to get ryan's mom or
Ryan's sister.
I was spoken to Ryan's mom in quite some time.
So I am going to go rescue Ryan's sister,
but I'll be back in like two seconds.
He's leaving like he always does.
I don't know if this is a promise or a threat,
but Christian said at 600 he'll pop in the show
and disrupt the meeting he's in right now.
So let's see if we can get to that one.
And then I'll host on top of it.
On top of it.
We have so many goals today.
So many goals.
keep sending in the super chats and stream labs.
Whatever you can give is so appreciated,
but we have to reach that 600 goal.
Oh, my God.
To chunkster.
Molly.
God.
Wow.
She could save that for the $600 goal that Molly would come on camera.
She just said you really know how to pose her well.
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't because if I hold her the other way,
she just literally just looks like a slug.
Like a mini job of the hut.
But this way, this is her good angle.
So did she like, can you, can you cradle her or no?
Does she, uh, one of those dogs that doesn't like being on their back?
Oh, mom.
What's it like?
I can cradle her, but that's when she just gives up and just is like, uh, so.
That's the sexiest look.
Yeah.
I love it.
And my favorite color, uh, it's, uh, Mark stole my answer.
It's Luke's blue lightsaber over green.
Oh, Jose Montcal, is it really?
$100.
Boom.
Yes.
Yes.
She is doing a great job as host.
Good to see Mark on the show again. Mark without spoilers, how surreal was the Star Wars match. I want to see Brett host again. Thank you. Me too.
The Star Wars match that we had for the pay-per-view on Friday was one of the great events I've ever witnessed in not just Smodown history, but in the history of sport. And I don't just say that because the final score is also a Van Halen album. It was that good. It was that.
tense and this is one of the two hosts calling the match.
Like it,
it was so cool to have a front row seat to something like that.
Yeah,
I was just telling Ben,
before you came on,
Mark,
I think it's my new favorite match.
I honestly think just the back and forth,
sheer knowledge,
you guys got to check out.
Yeah,
the whole,
the rest of that night,
I kept thinking,
like,
if that was a live event
and we were in front of,
like, a big arena full of people,
and we did the speed rounds
where you,
with the buzzers.
And I'm just thinking, like, that's the only difference that you could have possibly had.
And so the Ken Napsawks, Sam Whitworth, Iron Man, Star Wars match was great because the Ironman format just builds so much drama right down to the wire.
But as far as a display of knowledge and endurance, this one takes the kick.
Mark, I'm assuming, I didn't see it, but I'm assuming you're talking about 5150 and not 1984.
That would have been a...
Not quite as close to the school.
That would have been not good.
So good.
And thank you for that generous donation.
Alex, what's next?
Let's see.
Hero 67 says, question.
Should you mention something to your friends
on something you did when you were drunk
or leave it alone?
The past is the past.
What do you think?
Interesting.
The past is the past.
Kill it if you have to.
Well, no one likes.
to wake up out of a drunken stupor and check their phone because what my go-to is I always check
text first see if I texted anybody or called anybody or if anybody called or texted me then I go
right to social media yeah and then I will go to email and then my last stop is if I suddenly
remember something I might call a friend it's never good when you call a friend ask what happened
last night and they're they're already making fun of you yeah they're like dude and if you're
calling someone you have a guilty conscience like if you have to go so far as to call somebody to ask
what happened last night you you're subconscious even through your hazy blacked out mind knows
it's it's not good yeah if it's if it's just like a drunken like we all got drunk and like
wrestled over the last taco, then I don't think that needs to be addressed. If you got drunk and
like hit on someone or anything, anything like that where it's like you're crossing a relationship
line, then that needs to be addressed and rectified the next. Absolutely. Not good. Yeah. If you can
protect them and the shame monster for hitting them, if like they don't need to know I would. Like,
I won't tell my friends stuff. If I'm like, they didn't harm anyone, I'm going to keep it a secret,
no judgment like oh this is the biggest secret i have of a friend in college she came knocking on
my door at like 3 a.m just blacked out belligerent she's like can i sleep here i'm like yeah sure
come in come in this bitch at 4 30 a.m i hear her wake up oh like walk to the edge of the bed
she had thought that she had walked and reached the bathroom so she's sitting on the edge of the
bed and just starts pink.
And I'm like wide awake
during about a 45
second water stream run
down her legs to my fucking wood
floor. And I was like, oh my
God.
And I cleaned it and I just was like
she felt so shitty the next day.
She still doesn't know to this day.
Yeah, that's what it sounds like.
She still doesn't know. I just felt
so bad that
there was a bunch. She just had a bad
week. So I shielded it from her.
She didn't need to know that.
I mean, Steph, for those in glass houses, don't throw poop.
You can see that Kong versus Consula coming up.
I had a friend once who shall remain nameless, but we were all staying at this like, this sort of beach house.
And I don't know if the bathrooms were taken up or he was too drunk to make it all the way to the bathroom.
but when all of us were passed out, at least I was,
he somehow managed to get to the kitchen
and he found this giant like a bowl you put like chips in for a party
and managed to puke in that because he couldn't make it to the toilet.
Had no idea.
One of our other friends woke up early the next morning
and saw the pute bowl and we referred to it as the pute bowl
for the rest of the week.
He had no idea that he was the one that puked him.
We all knew it was him, but nobody ever told him
because we were just laughing so hard
every time we referenced the pupil.
Oh, my.
Listen.
Sometimes you got to shield them.
We've all peed in a drawer
of a frat house's bathroom before.
It happens.
If you got to go, you gotta go.
If you don't know the guys,
it's perfectly okay.
Come on, people.
It's 2021.
It is, too.
I feel like peeing in a frathing
in a frat house drawer is an acceptable
place. They deserve that a little bit.
It was, oh. I mean, it's not
going to make it any messier.
Yeah, exactly. Brathouses are so fucking gross.
I think I clean the drawer if you ask me.
I mean, men's pee is
actually sterile. So, you know,
I did kind of, you know, help them out
is what I tell myself when I try
not to think about this.
And have I said something. I feel like
you're a hero, especially if one of your
friends was in that drawer who had just gotten stung by a jellyfish.
Yes.
Yes, I'm there.
I'm there because I always have pee available.
We know this during the show.
Here's my drawer of pee for you.
Get it right in.
Look, if anybody watching right now has a great, what's the craziest place you peed?
Send in one of the robots.
Yes.
And tell us the craziest place you peed.
If anybody can beat Ozzy Osbourne, who one time got arrested because he was peeing on
the alamo.
He was drunk.
It was dark.
He had not a bitch.
Alamo.
Wow.
He'd on the Alamo.
He got arrested, and he was not allowed back in San Antonio to perform concerts for the 20 years.
Good.
No way.
Yeah, I want to hear P stories.
Come on.
I really do.
Release the P tape.
Lost City of P.
Sets him in.
700.
I'll tell the poop story.
On the way to acquire concert.
7 a.m.
Long stretch from Nebraska.
the part of Nebraska went to school to Lincoln.
Let's just say,
Whiskey before a choir concert.
Wow.
So how far away are we from 600?
We are.
$600 away.
$600.
Nice.
That's okay.
I like an underdog story.
Yeah.
How are they doing this?
They're taking money away.
As soon as we announced the goal,
it just got rescinded.
So we'd be 240 away from
700 we're 140 away from 600
amazing
140 away stream lab super chat
in whatever you can
Alex what do we got? Next thing
we got is from Jamie and John asking
Can Thano survive dark sides of Omega Beam
at its full power without the infinity gun what?
I don't know
It's a good question
Google it
Google it Google it
Google it! Google it! Google it!
Okay
I am going to Google it. I am
going to Google it.
Oh.
Okay, while you do that, Pleb Gamer said, Pleb gamer, Rengue says, how was the monkey
versus chunky lizard?
Was it good?
Kong is going to get golden fur, which is known as Super Sand.
Oh, okay.
Oh, yeah.
I got Kong.
I got Kong.
I'm probably going dark for about 10 days.
This is probably my last public performance until after I threw the movie, because I don't
want to get spoiled.
And I just don't, I'm a little nervy of the culture right now.
on social media. I saw everybody giving their Snyder cut tapes.
Tori X-Rose donated $20.
When I was a kid, I had a friend who would pee whenever she laughed hard enough.
I hope she's doing well.
Are you guys laugh pears?
I've never peed, like, that's, it's like a thing.
Like, I've never even come, like, I've laughed very, very hard, and I've never come close
to peeing myself.
Well, Steph, you do know that that is something that's in your future.
future if you have children.
I've heard.
But you got to,
kegles, man, for everybody.
Everybody needs to do those kegles.
I'm doing them right now.
Yeah, you got to strengthen the pelvic floor.
Yeah, you have no idea.
I've been doing it the entire show,
just a consistent clench.
Thousand bucks.
I'll do kegles for the rest of the show.
That's, I have not peed a lot.
I peed a little, like if I laugh really hard.
Not often, probably like five times in my life, but you have to have to, like you had to have needed to pee before it happened.
Yeah, I'm not a beer, laugher.
I'd be more concerned of the posterior of the laugh fart combo.
It's kind of like the sneeze fart.
Like, remember in school when like you're like, oh shit, I'm going to sneeze and I got to deploy and it's just going to come out both and hopefully at the same time so nobody hears it?
No, I'm only one.
Wait, we asked this question, and would you rather yesterday, would you rather, what was it, burp every time you cry or fart every time you laugh?
Ooh.
Burp.
Would you rather burp?
Burp every time I cry.
Yeah.
Or fart every time you cry?
Or fart every time you laugh or burp every time you cry.
That's an easy one.
Burp, burp, burp, and cry.
I don't cry that much.
I don't know.
Oh, Braggert.
off your toss mark.
God. Yeah.
The things that make me cry are are super embarrassing.
So I'll get the burps if I watch that Applebee's commercial where the coach
was fired and they ask him to hang up his own framed picture at Applebees.
And they're like, hey, coach, congratulations.
Like that guy.
I hated that picture you just drew for us.
I thought it was that Apple commercial for the Super Bowl where like the kids like on his phone
and like all the grandparents are like, why are you on your phone all the time?
And then he then during Christmas, like he like does like this slide show of like the family and like the generations of all the Christmases and stuff like that.
And I was like, damn it.
But yeah, I'm definitely I'm definitely a happy crier.
Like a sad things don't get me too much.
But like when really good things happen like that that tears me up for sure.
So I'm with Mark on the on the coach hanging up is his jersey at the Applebee's.
I don't even know that commercial.
I'm going to have to Google it now.
Google it.
I'll send it to the team.
I'll DM it to y'all after.
Please do.
Amazing.
Amazing.
Alex, what's next?
Damon John says,
I watch a Snyder cut a thousand times.
Thousand times better than the Jaws Wheaton's version or Justice League in the last hour.
So badass.
I enjoyed it.
I'm excited for it.
I have not partaken yet because this weekend was all about.
March Madness for me. So I'm probably going to take it in like 10, 15, 20 minute verse.
Maybe I'm getting a miniseries of for sure. So it breaks down pretty well by itself.
Honestly, Mark, it's got all the parts and like the screen will literally go black and it'll say
part two. So that's a perfect way to watch it.
Love it. I mean, I'm excited. I'm pumped for it. Yeah.
Are people watching it as a mini series like that? Is that a thing?
you can eat pretty easily like yeah i guess you can because it even divides it on the lower bar
yeah i watch the first four parts uh one night and then the rest of them the next day yeah
strategic pausing yeah body breaks i do think it being on hbomax is like it would do much
better there than it would like in theaters like just like yeah i agree time is very daunting
but with like Christian was saying like with with being online it's perfect it's great yeah it worked
out perfect um Alex hooters hooters yum yum says son of ace ventura is a thing oh son of i did not know that
what do you mean rumors today mark what we were talking about earlier yeah i i saw a collider
tweeted something over the weekend about ace ventura three and i was just like anybody who has
that idea. I need to call a meeting and get them all in a room and put on dumb and
dumb and two and say, is this what we're going for? I laughed a couple times with dumb and
two. I appreciated the effort. I just like, let's just, we don't need, I love when Michael Jordan
came back and played for the Wizards because he wanted to keep playing basketball. I thought
it was awesome. I don't necessarily need to see this, though. You know? Yeah. Yeah. I feel the
exact same way about that.
Ryan, where are we at now on our goal?
We are 100
away from
our 500 and then we are
two, sorry, yeah, 100 away from
500 and 200 away from
600.
Woo!
400.
Yeah, right.
From threat O's date.
Man.
Killing it today, folks.
Killing it. Monday mood.
Alex, what's next?
And it's not.
For lack of trying.
Steph is doing a great job, people.
And I love that she's hosting.
And I want to see this more.
Nine goals set up for $600, y'all.
Yeah, yeah.
Nine goals.
Google it, y'all.
Come on.
Google it for Steph.
No, it's hard.
It's hard.
It's a Monday.
I get it.
But send in whatever you can.
It's always appreciated.
Alex.
Okay.
So I do have an answer real quick.
Apparently about a Thanos verse Darkseye.
So this guy went on a
like a full on
like just breaking down the evidence
and apparently there's a version of the comics
of King Thanos
who can one punch
Galactus who's like this crazy
strong powerful being in marble
like one punched him
done and done
and regular Thanos is said to be as
strong as King Thanos
because he said he was holding back
the first time they fought
and so if regular
Thanos without the stones is as powerful as King Thanos, he can easily survive the Omega
Beams and beat Dark Side.
Easily?
So if base current unamped Thanos is just as powerful as King Thanos, then he should have
no problems surviving the Omega Beams.
No problems is the key word here.
And he has comics, like he's got like sources cited and everything.
What website is that?
I think it's on Reddit.
How do people do this?
I don't know.
It's insane.
I don't understand the science behind this.
Whatever.
Yeah.
Alex, are you still here?
Yeah.
I can't even edit my wedding video from 17 years ago.
I don't know how, like, who does this?
It's like when people break down the science of Star Wars or Star Trek, where it's
interesting for like a paragraph, then you're like, oh, okay, laser beams wouldn't make noises
in outer space in real life. Okay. Yeah. Thanks. Okay. At some point, science is just,
I love science. It's great. I support the vaccine. At some point, science just ruins fun in
movies, though. So I just, I don't need it to translate over into the crap I'm watching for my
entertainment. Yeah. Who do you have in Congress, Godzilla, Mark?
Hold on. He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's,
Aneky 1,4008 donated $20. What's the square root of 69?
8 something. What do you get when you cross a puppy with a potato? A dictator.
It was a, when you, sorry, totally, totally botched his joke.
I was like a puppy with a potato. What do you get when you cross a dick with a potato?
Ryan Payne donated $100.
Damn!
I do anything for my master.
Oh.
I've taught you well.
Thank you.
Ryan, love you always.
Okay, good.
Well, let's get to 600 because I actually am really trying to see Brett host.
I know everyone's obsessed with him.
When we had a ladies week, everyone kept saying we love you guys, but we actually miss Brett.
And I agree with them.
And watching him host is the most fun thing.
So get those in.
Let's get to 600 and beyond.
Alex, where are we?
Embers.
I need Mark to finish his Kong thoughts because you got interrupted.
Oh.
I think Kong is more athletic, more endurance.
And honestly, Kong is just better rested than Godzilla.
I mean, the hell that Godzilla went through in King of the Monsters is a tired Godzilla.
And to be honest, I rewatch King of the Monsters for Rotten Tomatoes is wrong a couple weeks ago.
Godzilla really didn't bring his A game for a good chunk of that movie until he had a nuclear
defibrillator revive him so I feel like Kong is primed to just this is what happens it's like
Kong is going up against Godzilla if Godzilla is an older Muhammad Ali respect to the champ
but you just you're not your prime anymore God the disrespect you are putting on this man's name
I will not stand for it here I thought you were a Kong guy no not even close I swear to
oh bring me on your run to make mark you need to bring you need to bring you need to bring
me on your rotten tomato show and we will go at this properly.
James Holins donated $50 on your monkey.
Stay-sucker free.
Ben Eat Mountain Lions for breakfast.
For breakfast.
Cleveland Browns your dick.
Cleveland Browns your dick.
We're almost at that.
600. Keep it going. Thank you so much.
Mark just came in with points though.
Points were made, Ben.
I can't disagree with him.
Kong has a better NFL combine than Godzilla.
Congratulations.
You know, when they get on the first,
field, that's when it matters, baby.
That's when it fucking matters.
We'll see.
I feel like Kong keeps reigning haymakers all day.
Godzilla basically, and it's, it's one of the coolest gifts you'll ever see,
is that he lights up and he's got his nuclear blast.
If he doesn't hit right in Godzilla's heart with that first nuclear blast, Godzilla's
just like, you got to admit, Ben, Godzilla, not the best of shape.
Kong, ripped, shredded, ready to become king.
Godzilla took on the two
Mudo's or whatever the spider
things are in the first one
2V1
no problems
second one again
2B1 and wins again
yeah he did great
and you know where Kong was he was in the
cryo chamber
he was in
he was taking an ice bath
he was resting
rest versus rust
Mark rest versus Russ
which one is it
wow
when Peyton Manning
sat
out for the Colts before the playoffs they lost first round that's what I'm saying that's true
I don't think uh king Kong has Mike Vanderjack kicking right wow uh really that was entertaining
all thank you for that lively debate Alex all right dip and wipe says hey Alex how was your
South by Southwest this year I ended up watching 40 movies this year what were some of your
favorites.
Wow.
Steph, do you mind if I do a little
South-Ey-South-west corner in here?
Okay, okay, so, I saw
you're doing it, Alex. I'd rather
not. Yeah.
Actually, Alex. Let's get him out of here.
Hey, don't interrupt Alex with money.
$1,40.
$10,000.
My wife told me
she'll slam my head on the keyboard
if I don't get off the computer.
I'm not too worried. I think she's
joking, Clarkly, N. Dot and Z
out 78 of 87
your fate
that was good
that was really really fucking funny
wow
and it wouldn't have been as funny
if it wasn't read out loud too
yeah yeah
yeah that was good
thank you
we're almost at our 600
goals so keeping going
Alex
continue with your
welcome to my corner
I just want to I have six movies
that I want to shout out
and I want to read the synops
to you guys and I want to get your takes on whether give me a thumbs up or thumbs down if I like them or not.
Okay.
What do you think about what do you think what I thought of them if I liked it or if I didn't?
The first one is called recovery.
The synopsis is two directionalists sisters brave a cross-country road trip to rescue their grandmother from a COVID outbreak at her nursing home.
Hated it.
Sounds like a Eminem album.
Any other thoughts?
Any other guesses?
I think you didn't like it.
Oh.
We're guessing what you, yeah.
I think you loved it, Alex.
And I think you letterboxed it high.
Yeah, Ryan, you can't cheat.
I can't cheat.
Yes, I did letterbox at high.
This was probably the first that, like,
this is the first COVID-era movie that is actually very funny.
Great jokes, great bits.
Check it out.
It's called Recovery.
I don't know if it's picked up yet, but check that out.
So we have insider trading on Alex's thumbs up and thumbs down from Ryan Wilson.
That's right.
Invest while you can.
Well, it's low.
Typical Philadelphia.
Philadelphia fan.
I wish they did more of that.
What's next, Alex?
All right.
Next one is called Best Summer Ever.
The synopsis is a fresh and exhilarating tale
on the beloved teen musical genre
featuring eight original songs
and a fully integrated casting crew of people
with and without disabilities.
You love it.
Thumbs up, thumbs down.
Thumbs up.
You love it.
Thumbs up.
I give it a thumbs like to the,
what is this, 75%?
It's very good.
It's just refreshing to see a musical with people with disabilities.
And the music's great.
And I mean, they're not actors, but they still do a great job.
So check that out when that comes out as well.
It's perfect for DECLA.
On your scale, instead of just thumbs up and thumbs down, if it's like thumb partial,
just say it's a Mark Ellis double joint and thumbs up.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
That's mine too, Mark!
Yep, look at that.
It's so creepy.
I have to, like, straighten it on camera.
Yeah.
I was going to do it by 8.
group erections because that's like a 40 year old an over I mean it used to be like more like
this and then it slowly starts to get so just I mean just for you guys that are afraid of getting
old next Alex next one is called here before and it's called and it's about after new neighbors
move in next door a bereaved mother begins to question her reality in this unsettling psychological
thriller I'm in thumb up right Ellis double-jointed what is it
It's a double-joined for me.
Double-jointed for me.
Nice.
Good psychological thriller.
Andrea Reisborough is a star in this.
She's great as always.
So check that out as well.
The next one is called Language Lessons.
And this one is about a Spanish teacher and her student develop an unexpected relationship.
Oh.
And it stars Natalie Morales and Mark Deplace.
What do you guys think?
Do you think I liked this or didn't like this movie?
Big thumb up.
Big thumb up.
actually a big thumb up for me yes uh yeah i loved it it's it's another covid era movie it's all
kind of filmed over zoom but then it's not really about covid so it was an interesting take on that
and uh really great story great acting uh very interesting movie check that out and then let's see
second to last one i got lily topples the world it's a documentary which follows 20 year old
lily hevish the world's most acclaimed domino toppler and the only woman in her field in a coming
of age of story of artistry passion and unlikely triumph like it like a queen of
cutway for dominoes yeah no yeah that does sound good yeah big thumbs up for me best documentary of the
of the festival um it's really cool it also kind of dels into youtube um the youtube sphere as well and
like hey that's kind of like us um so check that out i hopefully it'll get picked up as well
last one i want to shout out today is called the fallout and it is about
high school veda high school's high schooler veda navigates the emotional fallout she
experiences in the wake of the school tragedy relationships where their family friends and
view of the of the world are forever altered what do you guys think i'm going in ellis double
joint it here yeah same i'm going ellis here
i mean i think because i heard this is like the best of the festival and i agree with that
i'm going with the ellis subraa the ellis subra double yeah
It's up.
We're Ross.
So I chose to highlight these six movies because I obviously love them all.
There were a few movies I didn't really like as much, but I know.
Spoiler.
But yeah, the fallout is great.
It's really sad, but it has a lot of heartwarming moments.
Great up-and-coming cast as well.
So please check that out.
It is very touching.
So thank you for coming to my corner.
See you next year.
Thanks, Alex.
Thanks, Alex.
We are 39.
away from our goal. Please don't take this opportunity away from us. We need to have
Brett hosting. 39, let's go. Get them in streamlapse super chats before we start to round out
this episode today. Alex, what do we have on the? Embers says, hi, all, Alex, he looks so good.
Go on. Thank you. In y'all's opinion, what other actors is similar to Keanu Reeves? He doesn't
have the range, but he's so likable and entertaining. He can't act, but he's so good.
I think Guy can act.
Yeah, I think he can too, actually.
Yeah, me too.
I was going to say,
Steven Seagal, really good at playing one guy.
Yeah.
Now, Canada can act.
He can't have got some chops.
Just don't force him to play stuff that's like way out of that range.
He's got range that he's comfortable in.
And unfortunately, Jonathan Harker and Bram Stoker's Dracula is nowhere near that range.
I might go Hayden Christensen.
It's a little similar.
Like, you get the right kind of direct.
pairing. Like, I know Hayden can
act.
It just, you know,
I think certain actors work better with
other creators and they can have, like, a certain
performance drawn out of them. So I'd go to him.
For sure.
Anyone else?
I'm going to give a bit of solid?
I don't know.
I don't know.
19-7 donated $39.
Boom!
Peace.
Hey! Peace.
Love that.
What was the question one more time?
It was here you go, peace.
No, no, what was the question about the actor?
Got you.
What?
That was a stream laugh.
Sorry.
We're very tired, you know.
What other actor is similar to Keanu Reeves?
Oh, okay.
Christian Slater, maybe?
Did someone say Christian Slater?
Jenny Lawson donated $40.
Hey.
Oh, Jenny.
Thank you.
I appreciate you.
Thank you.
I'm glad we made that.
Alex, what's next?
Marvel 6-7-8 says,
I have a problem with being myself
and worrying that my friends think I'm weird.
I'm 25 and I want to tell my friends
how I feel and think,
but I don't know if they will get mad at me.
What should I do?
Should I express myself?
Yes.
Yes.
Please.
Please.
Everyone deserves freedom of expression
100%,
especially if you're not harming anyone.
And if your friends don't like you how you are, then seriously, fuck them.
And you'll find people who love you.
Real quick, too.
Like, if you have questions like this and they really are, I'm not trying to make a joke here, like, we're not therapists.
You know, like, do seek out people that don't make fart jokes and do karaoke for money for advice like this.
I love that you come in here and it's a community.
But also, if you're feeling down about something, you're feeling, you know, look into some actual help.
I'm not saying that in a mean way, but, you know, I lived with a lot of doubts and things like that before I started getting therapy.
Didn't mean to bring down the mood, but, you know, we're right.
Don't take us for, you know, this is the fart up crew, folks.
So let's.
That's a great call, Brett.
My only add to that is life is sometimes life feels very short.
Sometimes life feels very long.
And I kind of thought I was done making friends.
And then I moved to L.A.
And I got a bunch of comedian friends that are still some of my closest friends.
And then you think you're done there.
And then I met these five assholes.
And then I have five nude great friends.
Life keeps giving you opportunities to have friends that identify with you and support you.
Yeah, especially when you're looking for that.
Like when you know what you want, you can attract those kind of things better.
Alex?
Scottie doesn't know.
says the Shmo's review of Dumb and Dumber 2
is funnier than the actual movie.
That is...
Funner 2 is funnier than a lot of movies.
Yeah.
It's pretty great.
It's pretty great.
We do have a special guest on standby, you guys.
No way.
I'm just going to turn my video off,
and here you go.
Yes.
You're muted.
He's muted.
his first day.
Two minutes, two minutes to spare.
Two minutes with the Harlov.
Two minutes to join us.
Yeah, I know.
And I texted Roxy yesterday.
I meant to text you as well.
Stuff, I'm sorry to make it last night.
It was such a great thing that you guys did.
So congratulations on the really successful stream.
I did watch.
I watched the newlywed thing.
That was really funny.
It was fun to watch them sweat.
So that was really good.
And Ellis, man, Ellis came
in dropping bombs. So it was good. It was good. It was so good. Are you going to piece them out?
Like you're going to like, is it one long stream? Are you guys going to piece them out later like
for the, I think so. I think so. I think I think I think that would that would kill.
Honestly, you guys would get a lot of views if you pieced out like the movie,
game, the roast, all the like the ASMR with Brett. What's killing right now is your hair. Your
hair is incredible right now. Got her. Oh, thank you. No, Steph.
What? Yes, you're very flowing hair. Your hair is wonderful. But yeah, but that's,
but after we had the Silver Fox thing last week, he's got the, I mean, he's, it looked like you'd be
going on tour pretty soon in Vegas. Yeah, I hope so. I need, I need that residency money.
It's good stuff.
What's going on with your lettuce? I saw your, uh, your Instagram post this morning and I
couldn't tell if you were doing something to it. If you were growing up. No, it's a disaster.
This is absolute disaster. My wife has been, uh, my, nothing, nothing serious. She just hasn't been
feeling while the last couple days. And, uh, and, uh, and, and,
She, like, I haven't gone to my actual, the woman who cuts my hair in maybe a year, right?
So my wife has been doing it.
And it's been the same thing.
This is what's been going on on how she's been doing it.
So when it's short enough, she'll, she'll be, she's able to fade it through.
And, you know, it looks and it'll look fine.
She cuts a little off the top.
We're good.
When it gets too long like this, we just shave the whole thing down to like a two.
And that's where we're at at the moment.
But she just hasn't been able to do that.
So it's been a disaster, Mark, an absolute disaster.
I was going to say like when you when you and Brett shaved your head, when it was growing back, that was the look.
Honestly, I really like the, the, the, the buzz cut look you were rocking.
That's the one.
That's the one that's been going.
That's when we're going to try to like the two, not, not the not the stone cold Steve Austin one.
Yeah.
I'm not going to do that.
Like Brett, I'll never forget Brett's face when the reveal was with that.
Like he didn't, he walked in.
I didn't tell him that I had done it.
And then when he walked in, we started talking about it.
And he had when, so when you get that reveal of me showing my head, he, he's getting,
the first reaction as well.
It was so white.
I know, really was.
100%.
I mean, I haven't seen,
it doesn't seen sunlight forever.
When your friends are
legit trying to be supportive
and they just can't take it.
No, it's not.
But why do you even bother,
why do you even bother trying to use that mic
when it's not working?
No, it was on camera.
And I really only have one more thing to say,
and that's to Brett.
And Brett's the only one's going to get this number.
Brett, 258,000.
Oh.
What's that?
How much money you made on stereo?
Oh.
I'm sorry.
I'll just say I'm sorry, Mark.
5-8-908.
What?
I think I'm golden.
I think I'm golden, right?
Oh, I think they're doing NBA stuff right?
Yeah, sports.
Nice.
Which is crazy because if you would have, if you would have around in time like five years ago and you said, okay, two people are going to be talking about sports on the show in code.
Brett would be.
the 537,000 to 1.
What have you become, Brett?
What have you become?
Alex, how many stream mobs do we have left?
We have a few.
Ace Money says Kong has been sitting on his island,
sipping mitesies, and swat and prehistoric flies.
Godzilla's survived and absorbed the nuclear weapon,
defeated a three-headed space racket and saved the world.
Team Godzilla all the way, no contest.
That damn dirty Dave is fucking toast.
That's right, thank you.
Please save that as well.
But real quick, I know you guys are going to finish up the stream.
Brett and I have to jump onto stereo right now.
We have a show at 12-05.
But if you follow us over there, Stereo.com slash Christian Harloff, please join us over on stereo.
We're going to have a great show over there.
We're going to shoot the shit.
So great job, Steph and the whole damn crew.
And Mark, I'll see you on a short.
Mark, thanks for showing up.
Bye, Christian.
Bye, good eyes.
I'm hosting again.
Yay.
All right, Alex, can you?
What?
Oh.
Just a few more.
Mark Brewington says, sending love and a big closer for bread hosting.
Hey, Steph.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Hey.
Jamon John says,
Ben, day by day,
you're morphing into vanilla ice.
Give me those residuals, baby.
Not bad.
Peaceful guy
donates and doesn't say anything,
so thank you very much
for that peaceful guy.
Jam and John says,
Mark, don't hate me.
But who had better post
SNL movie career?
Belushi or Farley?
That's our final one of the day.
Ooh.
Belushi or Farley?
Um,
that's tough.
I would have to give the slight
nod to Belushi.
only because he had a little more time post-S&L than Farley did before he passed away.
And so Belushi was able to kind of dip his toe into dramatic acting waters,
which he could have been a powerhouse dramatic.
He could have had an Oscar when it was all said and done.
But the fact that you made hits like Animal House and Blues Brothers, Tommy Boys great,
Black Sheep, Beverly Hills Ninja, okay, we didn't really get to see the greatness of Farley
as much as we saw the greatness of John Belushi.
One can only imagine what would have happened if Ghostbusters went and Belushi
survived because he was originally going to play the Peter Bankman role in Ghostbust.
And imagine Shrek with Chris Farley.
Yes.
There is YouTube videos of him reading the, him and Eddie Murphy reading the campfire scene.
Yep.
And it's really, really good.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Yeah, I would have to go that too.
That's a hard question.
Thank you for putting that in there.
But we are going to get out of here.
Thank you so much for rocking with us today.
Mark Ellis, thank you for appearing in the house today.
Ben Goddard Silver Zaddy, Ryan Nelson, Alex Marzonia.
Whatever you do today, make sure that you watch something, do something,
or hang out with someone that makes you laugh.
Just accomplish that today.
One goal lap.
And thank you so much.
I'm Step Sobrough.
Until next time, much love, y'all.
And hey, if you love SCN Live, make sure you check out Dan Murrell's podcast.

It's Wednesdays 4 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, y'all. Take care.
The doctor will see you now. But do they really? Do they see you as a mother who's a daughter and a caregiver?
Fearless but sometimes fearful? A health nut with a French fry habit? An O positive geologist named Patty?
who's here today for a melanoma exam.
