Strayer University is certified to operate in Virginia by Shev. Remember the last time.
Starting point is 00:01:14 What's going on, everybody? Welcome. Doing it live today. Epic, we're doing it live. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, you, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:32 Yeah, yeah. Streamyards still got to get their stuff together, though. I'm going to start doing live shows when I do them through OBS. I'm having other time to figure out all the kinks. you hear the music that good through it. I'm sure I've heard it on the on the replayback. All right, it takes him a good show. It's going to be a fun show.
Starting point is 00:01:52 We have a lot to talk about. There's a lot to talk about. We got Harrison Ford, obviously, is going to be General Ross now, Thunderbolts, other things, and replacing the great William Hertz. So we'll talk about that for sure. It's a kickboxer TV series, apparently. Dragonslayer is going to have a huge to do in this studio. I'll talk about it a little bit.
Starting point is 00:02:14 We are going to be doing super chats today. And the way that I've worked this in is that we'll do all the, we'll do all the topics, we'll do all the news. We'll talk about it with you guys. And then I will collect the super chats throughout the, throughout the duration of the, of the show. And then you guys, you know, you ask your questions. And I'll make sure that at the end of it that I cover it,
Starting point is 00:02:37 because I want to make sure that you can get the questions in. We don't get super jets. That's cool. We just go through the topics today and we'll do what we got to do. But if you want to ask questions and the things you want to talk about, then fire those fuckers in there. How about that? You've been thinking about that?
Starting point is 00:02:53 Well, now you did. And now you have. Great. All right, a few things to get out of the way before we start getting into this stuff, man. If you haven't already done it, Apple podcast, Spotify. As I've told you, you know, I went out on my own on September 1st, And it's been going, it's been going good. I ain't going to lie to you.
Starting point is 00:03:13 It's been going good. We're doing, we're doing all right. We just yesterday, we, last couple days, we had a good day. So the movies are out again. But we, we're almost at, um, 56,000 subscribers now. And we're moving. And that's, uh, that's up to you guys. So if you're brand new to the channel and you haven't already subscribed,
Starting point is 00:03:32 well, why don't you do that? Help us out. That would be wonderful. So thank you. Thank you very little. Thank you a lot. Uh, if you have, I haven't known about we have a lot of different things on here.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I saw PLDs in the chat. He'll be the fucking man, dude. Pillsy's the man. So we've been doing or we, he has been running the Patreon really. And I'm, and we're trying to be as active as possible. What I've done lately,
Starting point is 00:04:01 by the way, what I really liked. We added this. These fucking mosquitoes, they're going to get it. I'll tell you that. I mean, a little prick.
Starting point is 00:04:07 You ain't going to last. You ain't going to last. It's stupid. See, you just fuck with people. Spiders, no. spiders get scared. Hey, yeah, yeah, I'm sticking around, spiders go like this. You, what do you do?
Starting point is 00:04:18 You come, you keep coming. You keep coming. You keep asking for it. I say, look, you take one shot, you get out. But you come after me, then that's, there's only so much I can do. You know, there's only so much I can do. I don't want to, I don't, I, the, the windows open, you can fly right out. But no, you're being a dick.
Starting point is 00:04:34 And you know, look at me. Look what I can do. Stop testing, fade. I get it. You don't want to be a fly. Tough shit. We deal with what we deal with. Fuck.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Anyway, can you guys hear that, by the way, when I do that, that, the picture thing? Because I turned a button off to make sure that you didn't hear it, but if you hear it, the, do you hear that? Anyway, Patreon, when you appeal these prompts. He's been doing some great stuff over there. And what I've really loved, what we have added good, you didn't hear it, great. So what we've been adding is, um, these one-on-ones with i think it's like pieldy how many spots are there are there six spots seven spots i can't remember how many spots there are but there's there's there's there's limited spots per
Starting point is 00:05:22 month that i have like half an hour conversations with people and i had i've been having some really really getting to know everybody and it's awesome it's really great talking to a lot of people and eight spots thank you pieldy there's eight spots and you sign up and we have like a half an hour conversation we talk about whatever i've talked um yesterday we I talked a bunch of different things, whether it's Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Shee Hulk, Shmowdown, I mean, everything. It's really been great getting to know people over there. So you haven't joined Patreon. Please go check that out.
Starting point is 00:05:54 It's been awesome. I love it. I was going to start again and throw you, and that's why I asked that question. I do see the super chats coming in. I'm saving them. I will make sure I'm going to get to every single one of them by the end of the show. So throw them in there, let them pile up and I'll, and I'll get to them at the end. Um, you know what I'm going to talk about first because I will get into the Harrison Ford thing because I know that's, it's a pretty, it's a pretty big story, obviously.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Massive story was going around, but the one I want to talk about is, uh, this thing, uh, Halloween ends. So I'm not going to spoil it for anybody. I'm not going to spoil anything for Halloween ends. I promise you. There's not, not, I have my non-spoiler review up that Brett and I did. I got the reaction out that Brett and I did, but I'm not going to do, I'm not going to do spoilers.
Starting point is 00:06:49 I'm just going to kind of go into the critics reviews right now. Halloween ends. The final installment of the most recent trilogy and the 13 film in the series are in. This is from Dark Horizons, by the way. 73 reviews counted. And the film sits at just 47%. I think that's generous, to be honest with you. I think that is super generous at,
Starting point is 00:07:09 at 47%. I think that's a win for them, to be honest. That's a win. 47% on Rotten Tomatoes, which marks an improvement on the poorly received Halloween kills, say 39%. That's generous as well. But still considerably down on 2018's Halloween 79%.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Yeah, no shit. Even so, the whole trilogy is performing better than Rob Zombie's two films. I mean, okay, I was going to compare you just comparing it to the monsters. I mean, come on. a piece of shit to a, to a rotten cheeseburger. It's still the, the rotten cheeseburger is still better than the piece of shit. Oh, the original carpenter classic remains a masterpiece, 96%. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Halloween H2O. I don't want to hear all the resume for the rest of the franchise. Here's a sample of the quotes. You know, all I know, you all know where the story is headed, but considerably more emotion and character development. I'm not going to read all these. We're just going to talk about what we saw here. right all right so
Starting point is 00:08:09 Halloween ends I'm not as you guys know maybe you don't know maybe you're brand new to the channel you're just finding out you're learning more about this asshole um I'm not a massive horror fan not a massive slasher fan but I appreciate good movies appreciate when they don't just rely on jump scares and all that stuff and when 2018's Halloween came out they said it's going to be a direct sequel to the original it's okay that could be all right I like that they kind of retconning the other ones to kind of tell this story because I remember aliens was going to do that um they were going to do that with what's his face it's champ he was going to do that um it was going to take place like right
Starting point is 00:08:51 after aliens so that's that's cool that they're going to do that so they did that in 2018 with Halloween and I dug it man I dug it I dug it I liked that I liked it a lot a couple stupid things here and there but nothing for the most part it's got right and then Halloween kills was a Shithouse. It stinks. It stinks that movie. So I was like, okay, here we go. And this movie, and again, no spoilers.
Starting point is 00:09:20 And it's on Peacock right now, too, by the way. What I said in the review is, I do think that if you already been on the ride for the Halloween 2018 and Halloween kills, you should see how it ends. My thing is that they took a different swing. with this. And I appreciate the swing. I just didn't like the swing.
Starting point is 00:09:43 If again, without, without commenting on particular points. But PLD says in the chat, he loves kills. He's a big Halloween guy. But ends just lost me. I get it.
Starting point is 00:09:58 I understand. And I, and I, again, with a spoiler conversation, I think it'll be easier to probably guess why. And I think that if I talk to you about appeal, I can go, yeah, I understand why, why that lost you and why. I mean, it's like it's, I'm telling you, the swing that they take is going to lose a lot of hardcore Halloween fans, for sure, because you're, you're like a lot of, like, I've never, even in Halloween kills, I was never like, let's go.
Starting point is 00:10:26 And when you finally get to the thing at the end, the fight, you know, because you see it in the trailer, you know, the fight's coming. I thought the fight was satisfying. I don't know. But it doesn't matter. What I will tell you, though, is that it's, as I mentioned to you, we just, the last couple of days, we had a couple good day. We had a pretty good day with subscribers and new people finding the channel and, and, and new comments and, and hearing all this.
Starting point is 00:10:54 And I, and that's because movies are coming out again. I saw, I saw Black Adam. I can't review it yet. I just gave my initial, um, thoughts right away and my reaction. just the summary of my reaction was that it's um it's essentially like a like a late 90s movie that's a lot of fun is it as in like you know when watching something like andor or something that's really in depth with characters is this that movie no but it's someone said i think i might have been wicked art that said it and if it wasn't i apologize um said that it was seems like just a popcorn movie that's what it is
Starting point is 00:11:32 It's a popcorn movie. And I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. And thank you, by the way. I see everybody that is putting the super chats in there. And I am going to get to all the super chats at the end of the show, I promise. So keep firing them in there. And as soon as we finish all the topics, we'll do it.
Starting point is 00:11:49 We'll get it out there. We'll make it happen. We'll make it happen. But I do think, like I said, do you regret seeing it? Even if you didn't, even if it lost you, do you regret seeing it? Do you regret seeing it? I didn't regret seeing it. I was like,
Starting point is 00:12:03 okay, I saw these three movies. I'm also one of those people. I got to finish the story. I got to know what's going to happen. If I'm watching the story, I got to finish it. So even though I haven't finished Sam,
Starting point is 00:12:12 man, I love Sam, man, I've got to finish it. I still haven't finished it yet. I've got to finish it. Got to finish the game. What is that? Was that?
Starting point is 00:12:18 What is that? Is that what it is? I think so. I don't remember anymore. I'm losing it. All right, let's get into this thing. Let's talk about Harrison Ford, man.
Starting point is 00:12:30 That's how you do it. it's how you do it that's how you do it you got to know you got to get you got to get when you have somebody like um the great william hurt passed away and everybody's asking what what's going to happen with thunderbolt ross now especially with red hulk stuff and all that and the idea of harrison ford turning into the red hulk is extraordinary but who knows um so but this is a Snyder was on the hot mic podcast is that is that uh is that roka show i think that's roka show yeah it is good for him look at that they broke it there it is look at that roca broke the scoop why didn't he say when he say exclusive on his report i saw him i didn't know roka did that
Starting point is 00:13:18 i don't actually also roka's he said breaking why you say breaking why you say exclusive i don't know anyway let's talk about uh good on roca And Roka. A few weeks back, the anglers, Jeff Snyder appeared on the Hot Mike podcast and revealed that Harrison Ford was Marvel's top choice to star as General Thaddeus Ross in an upcoming Thunderbolts film. At the time, he said that Ford was not currently cast in the film, and it was unclear if he had already passed on the role, which is the late great William Hurd played in the Incredible Hulk and Captain America Civil War, among other films. Cut to today and the same reporter and outlet included that Ford has indeed signed on to join the MCU. in the role and will make his debut first in Captain American New World Order and can potentially have a row
Starting point is 00:14:00 in Thunderbolts. Slash Film has claimed to have confirmed the casting. So yeah, so Slash Film had said that. Come on. Don't steal that shit from Roka and Snyder if they took it. Anyway, Captain American New World Order arrives on May 3rd, 2024. The city's going to start with, he's going to make his debut in Captain America. Okay, that's cool. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Well, good for those guys. That's awesome for Jeff and Roca. I didn't know that. I like that hearing that. Okay. Anyway, so let's talk about it. Smart stuff. Look, he's in the Disney family, obviously. He's in the Disney family.
Starting point is 00:14:40 It was, I mean, I see some people talking about Ed Harris. Yeah, well, I was going to say age, but how much, how much different are they in age? So that's not, that's not valid. Ed Harris age is 71. I bet you, I bet you he's younger than Harrison four. He is. We're nine years younger, 10 years younger.
Starting point is 00:15:01 So Ed Harris would have been great. There's no doubt about it, but let's call it what it is, PLD. You get Harrison Ford, you take Harrison Ford. That's because as much as I love Ed Harris, he ain't getting headlines like this if he gets cast.
Starting point is 00:15:15 They're going to see, that's a good casting. He ain't getting the headlines. You want the headlines. You always want the headlines with a good actor and with star power like that. So, yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:15:25 That's, that's, That's this is this is massive. It's also really smart for them to do. And they, you know, Indiana Jones, let me tell you, man, I can't wait until you all are able to see. I know that the trailer leaked and don't watch it leaked. The Indiana Jones trailer, don't watch it leaked. If you did it already, you spoiled yourself.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Watch it when it comes out. It's going to kick your asses. God, that was a great trailer. It was one of the best trailers I've seen in a very long time. I was like, okay. it's got it's got like last crusade feel it's got like raiders feel it's got like it's got indiana jones feel it doesn't feel like it doesn't feel like the um the piscat whatever that stupid thing was the fourth one um oh i can't wait i can't wait man can't wait anyway um so yeah so let's um
Starting point is 00:16:18 let's see what they can do i think it's a good move though i think it's a great move if you have Harrison Ford in there because as he said, whether you're pushing Indiana Jones, but you get Thunderbolt Ross and then you have them, whether it's Red Hulk and how long do you need him for? And could you eventually, I mean, I don't know enough about it. Thank you. Cutter, I see the, again, every time I see a super chat, I will let you guys know that I see it and I'm taking it and I'm making sure I'm putting it in the file and then we're going to get to all them at the end. So don't worry. We'll be getting to everybody's super chats at the end. So, and even when I'm at the very end of people are adding them in, I'll give you a cutoff. for when we're going to be closing it on. Someone has a great question. A Ford will be a variant of Ross. I mean, very well could be. Very well could be. But I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:17:03 I think it's going to be like an Edward Norton, Mark Ruffalo type of thing. I think people understand. It does open up the question, though, right? Down the line. And I'm very curious now about how what happens with Black Panther with the new one. Because just only because I know how,
Starting point is 00:17:22 how important of a character to chala is in the overall marvel world but do they and do they work it in a way where tachala can come back or do they just say no we're gonna we're just going to tell the story moving forward without the tachalla i don't know i don't know um now that's different though i see someone talking about that matrix resurrections trailer it's different i think the tone of where they when they went with it as far as um i i i I knew that Lana Wachowski could go that route that she did. I knew that could happen. Mangold is pretty consistent, man.
Starting point is 00:18:04 Mangold's consistent. It was the last bad Mangold movie. Mangled's consistent. So that's not the same. It's not the same. I understand why you would say something like that, but that ain't the same, not at all. Mangold is,
Starting point is 00:18:18 mangled's on fire. Again, thank you, Trash Panda, throwing one in there. I'll get you. promise I get to you. Um, yeah. So I'm glad that Snyder landed the scoop, man. That's great. It's a big one. And I hope that he's getting props for it. He should get props for it. I mean, obviously got props for it in, in dark horizons where I read, but I, when, when I initially saw it, I saw this report yesterday, I didn't know until what 10 minutes ago that Snyder drops it. So was that something that wherever I saw it more people got to get people got to get people got it.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Oh look. I don't have to say that. Jeff will let people know. Hey, asshole. That's my, that's my, uh, that's my, that's my, that's my scoop. but I didn't know it was on Roka's show. Why didn't Rooka piece that out? I don't understand. She had a little clip with that out there. Anyway, yeah, Mango's going to put a lot of emotion in Dindy-5.
Starting point is 00:19:09 There's no doubt about it. But Harrison Ford is going to be Thunderbolt Ross. Now, the question is, are they going to wind up? How long are they going to use the character for? Because, like I said, Harrison Ford's 80 years old. You know, there's only so long he can do it.
Starting point is 00:19:22 I'm not sure. it's going to be interesting. It's going to be interesting. So, all right. Well, that, that is absolutely a great story. A big, big get for Marvel. And it's, you know, not necessarily, they don't necessarily need it. But it's big.
Starting point is 00:19:40 You know what else is big? The odds of you guys can get at my bookies. My bookie, excuse me. Have you been using my bookie? You've been watching football? So excited to have my bookie. Excited to have. I mean, and I have to thank you guys, though. I really did thank you guys when it comes to the fact that when we launched this thing, we launched a big thing.
Starting point is 00:20:51 And we launched the show in general. you know, it's always, you always have those doubts of like, are people going to tune in, and people going to like it. And I've been seeing a lot of the comments where people really think that this is the, the best channel I've been a part of so far. And I've been saying that for a while, but people are feeling that now. And I think that's obviously because of what's because of my attitude. It's because the people that I've surrounded myself in general with. And I, and I think that's the reason why we're seeing, like yesterday for people who didn't watch capes and cows. We put capes and cows on yesterday, by the way, because we recorded it. I missed the
Starting point is 00:21:20 taping with Roxy and Brett the other day. We usually tape. on Wednesdays and I missed it because I was um I had stuff going on with the family everybody's good thank you but um I had some stuff going on so we taped capes and cows yesterday and I was going to do a live show last night but I'm like you know what what I just do the live show on Friday morning I'll do what the fans will talk and um and I'll just release capes and cows and what a way to do it by the way yesterday because um for all these you who don't know nah people that schmone sounds like a dance at this point you could you if you feel you could keep it you could keep it go ahead have a blast it's not that's not me anymore but thank you it's not
Starting point is 00:21:56 it's that's not me and i and i'm not with ellis and i were we're one of my best friends in the world but like we're not doing stuff together it doesn't make any sense to call it that no thanks not me i'd rather have my name appreciate it though um but anyway the the point is yesterday on capes and cows we had um we had boom studios join and they were listening they were watching and they liked what we were doing and this this idea of the um you just the casual conversation the new studio and to get someone like boom studios on board like that was a big move and and that's you guys this comments that you're leaving it's it's it's it's all of that so thank you so much i really really appreciate we got boom studios we have uh carbon health right now so i just mentioned my bookie athletic greens like this is all stuff that like
Starting point is 00:22:47 you guys i don't think you realize how much you do this you do this and And I get so many people who are saying, hey, I got some of those boom comics. I got, you know, I was watching the game this weekend. And I was like, you know what? I want to put a little down on, on the yanks. And shit, I went to my bookie. I used that code. I was going to put 100 down.
Starting point is 00:23:07 I put 200 down because I got that, I got that bonus. I wasn't feeling that good. I needed some vitamins. It took athletic greens. So that's why I always say like for you guys. Do what you guys, what works for you. So that's it. Um, anyway.
Starting point is 00:23:20 So thank you. I see more people putting in these super chats. And I'm going to get to all of them. I really am always, I never know when I come on live. I'm like, okay, people put stuff in and we'll get to it. But I do love talking to you guys this way. So, um, all righty. All righty.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Let's, let's move into some other stuff. What's the other one? Here's one. Black Adam, man. Uh, they, the credit, the end credit scene, not going to say what it was, but the end credit scene, there's a leak. And then also the rock was talking about DC. I don't know about this.
Starting point is 00:23:54 The leak itself, at this point, it's like, it's just wait, go see the movie. Go see the movie. The leak has been spreading across Twitter and TikTok in the past few hours with the platforms in studio trying to remove it right away as it violates copyright. Yeah, no shit. So that's bouncing around. Leaks of photos and videos from sets are common as the bootlegs of post-credit scenes.
Starting point is 00:24:17 This is before the movie come out. This is kind of unprecedented. And Dwayne Johnson told Variety on the film's red carpet yesterday that he'd be happy to help DC films is an advisory capacity in terms of planning for the future. The past, and The Rock says that's the best position that I could be in for DC is one as an advisor where I can help. I love DC. It's in my blood. It's in the spirit of growing up with DC Universe.
Starting point is 00:24:40 I'm here to help any way I can, including looking for and finding the right leader or leaders. Okay. So a lot of positives and negatives for this. Iraq is a massive, I believe he is a fan. He absolutely is a fan. He is passionate. He is brilliant when it comes to marketing and a lot of this. He's, he's charismatic. He is going to get things done. So all of that is a benefit, you know, as far as an advisor role. The question is, do you want to lean in and have like a big major movie star as one of the producers? Because
Starting point is 00:25:15 you got to have some fear of, okay, well, how much does you want to have Black Adam involved in how much is that going to revolve around it you know because it's i think it's going to take i think before you even have that conversation you got to see what black adam does box office wise like i have no idea how it's even um tracking i don't know what's tracking well i'll tell you i just saw you know aisha kenya says that she wishes the rock didn't spoil the um post-credit scene i think you needed to. I think you needed to. Um, because at this point, the surprise of it all, how devastating is that surprise? If people don't go to see the movie and you don't check it out and it leaks or whatever too and people don't check it out and you don't market with it, you mark it with it.
Starting point is 00:26:05 You market with it. You market with it. You want to go check it out. You market with it. Because people, I can't even tell you how many people have said. Well, it wasn't really that interested in it, but now I want to go see the post credits. I want to check it out. So I get it. I understand, but I actually think it was a pretty smart marketing move. I think it was kind of,
Starting point is 00:26:25 it wasn't an idea. The Rock has a name, but Black Adam didn't have a strong IP hold on the audience enough to get them into the theater. And this is a very passionate project for him, and he's promoting the end game more so than anything else. So I get it. So Roka Bet Snyder's steak dinner that Black Adam is 100 million opening weekend.
Starting point is 00:26:45 No chance. Roka's going to lose that bet. Roka loses that bet. Quote me on it. You tell Roka I said that. I'm pretty good with bets. Snyder wins that bet. I think it does 60, 65.
Starting point is 00:27:00 It doesn't do it doesn't do 100. Do you think that giving away the post-credit scene was good marketing? I do. Absolutely. I do. I do. I think it's, and we'll see. I mean, we'll see.
Starting point is 00:27:14 Look, if Roka wins the bet, If Roka wins the bet, then yeah, absolutely was. You know what I realize? I'm going to tell you. Oh, yeah, let me tell you about this. Only PLD and Brett know about this thus far. You're right. PLD says 75.
Starting point is 00:27:29 It's possible. I just don't think 100 is possible. Where the hell is this thing? All right. Only PLD and Brett and my daughter know about this. Dragons layer. A lot of you youngens. You don't know what your dragon's layer is.
Starting point is 00:27:46 You're all heathens. I know that that's not accurate. So Dragonslayer was a game when I was a kid, arcade game, that was ahead of its time as an arcade game. People just dumped quarters into it. Like it was like the first like 50 cent game. And like it just murdered people's wallets. But it was so great.
Starting point is 00:28:11 And you, it's like a, it was like a, you'd have to. It was the actual animated cartoon, which is why so, so fascinated about it. And like it would light up and you got to hit. the joystick in the right direction. And if you did it in time, the adventure would continue. If not, he would like just die horrible deaths. So I have this Atari Star Wars one that I've had forever in the last three or four years. And Brett and I put a few on the, on the, on the wish list for giggles and shits.
Starting point is 00:28:43 And I knew nobody was going to get it, nor should it. It was like 800 bucks. But I said, fuck this. I got to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I don't. I saved up some money for myself on other things I wanted to do, and I did it. I did it. I bought it. Got here yesterday.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Winston helped me carry it to the back. I got it, and I'm going to play it. And I'm so excited. So that's what that Dragon's Lair thing is. Was that worth the tease? Probably not. But it was for me. It was for me.
Starting point is 00:29:16 I had to. This is the thing. Does my wife know that I got this? myself no does she watch this show no am i safe yeah want to tweet at her ain't got no twitter account so so as far as she's concerned comes back here she thinks one of you guys got it that works for me i saved up could have bought some some clothes i did not that's how that works that's right i will i will get a promo shot of and then what i'm going to do is i want i want to do a I want an arcade in this fuck.
Starting point is 00:29:53 I want an arcade. I got, that's why I put, there's more of you, like I said, I understand. Nobody gets one of those arcade games ever, and it sits in there for the duration of the list. I get it. But I have the games in the game that I wanted, and I talked to PLD about this recently, Russell Fest. It's Russell Fest, right? It wasn't Russell Quest, Russell Fest.
Starting point is 00:30:17 And that was the, that was the, that was the, the old school is fucking mosquito. You came back, Dickface? You want this? You want this? I told you, you did the smart move and you beat it. And now you're coming back and I'm in the middle of a show. You're going to get it.
Starting point is 00:30:33 I'm telling you, I'm going to, I'm going to do a Miyagi, but I'm going to get you. Asshole. Get out of here. Yeah, it was Russell Fest, by the way. Russell Fest was fantastic. Loved Russell Fest. And it was my favorite game.
Starting point is 00:30:51 And I looked it up, $4,000. I can't do this. I can't do it. I can't do it. I can't do it. You know? Can't do it. So, anyway.
Starting point is 00:31:08 So that's what I'm excited about. I'm excited about that. The other thing I saw today, I was texting with Mark Fernandez earlier this morning. And he sent me some article about Blade. They said they're just putting on complete halt right now. Putting on a halt. It's interesting, man.
Starting point is 00:31:27 it's kind of a shit show that one right now it is anyway they got to get i mean they're probably going to start putting it back into production they're not going to completely cancel it they can't it's too big of a property they got to figure it out but i don't know i don't know um so yeah everyone backed out of the project it's it's a mess they're gonna have to that's probably why they move the last thing they got to restructure things is messy that that that movie's messy it is i think face five i think marvel's messy right now i think marvel's messy right now and i agree i was on campy's show last week and and john said it he's like he stretched too thin i've talked on one of the patrons yesterday said the same exact thing um that's part one part two is i won't spoil the full finale of she
Starting point is 00:32:14 hulk but i think they're patting themselves on the back a little bit too much too that finale to me on she hulk and if you loved it good i'm i'm never i'm never going to tell somebody that your opinion is wrong. I can tell you I disagree with it, but I'm not going to tell your opinion's wrong. You liked it, good for you. So people who love that episode, I think it was a huge pat on the back. Like, hey, look what we did. We're so proud of ourselves. We're just making ourselves laugh in the writing room. And I think that that's not what made them
Starting point is 00:32:43 successful. I think they would, the question is this. This is what I ask people. This is what I ask people that are so proud of that particular finale in general. Let me ask you this. Do you think that at this show, was the first thing that Marvel ever led with ever. No Iron Man, nothing. I know it's easier said than done because they relate to a lot of stuff inside of the MCU. I understand that. But let's say it was the first thing ever in the tone in everything that we did. You think that it would be, you think Marvel would be as successful as it is today? And granted, they build
Starting point is 00:33:16 off a lot of stuff that Marvel had done. That's part of the show. I'm not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the tone of it. I'm talking about the, you know, self-aware. You can still be self-aware, you can still be very meta, even if there wasn't something beforehand, because you do it through comics and other things that lasted beforehand. It's curious. Anyway, let's see what else we get. And I'm going to get to these super chats. I see them coming in.
Starting point is 00:33:40 I've saved all of them, all the super chats that have come in thus far. I have saved them. I'm going to put them all in a file. And then I'm going to show you all of them. So have you got any super chats that you want to fire in there, man? Fire it in now. because I'm going to call it, I'm going to call it quits in a little bit. Let's get to, let's see if there's any other things that I need to, that I want to talk about.
Starting point is 00:34:02 I pulled a bunch of stuff, especially if there's anything else that I missed. Any big stories. I mean, that blade one was pretty big. Oh, kickboxer. I want to talk about kickboxer. This is, again, this is the stuff that I like to cover because it's some of the stuff of my childhood. Kickboxer, man.
Starting point is 00:34:19 Great. John Claude Van Dam. Want some cookies? So they're talking about doing a kickboxer reinvented as a TV series. Now this is the funny thing when I read this article. It's hilarious. First thing that it says, again, this comes from Dark Horizons, but a TV series based on kickboxer, the film franchise in the works with the
Starting point is 00:34:39 original Fast and Furious writer and Las Vegas creator, Gary Scott Thompson set to serve a showrunner. Now, this is what's hilarious to me. It starts, the first thing is the seven film martial arts. I think I knew that there was two of them. I had no idea there were seven of them. The seventh film martial arts franchise originally stars Jean-Claude Van Dam as Kurt Sloan, a man who must earn the ancient kickboxing art of Muay in order to avenge his brother. Three sequels followed focusing on the character's little brother, David, Sasha Mitchell,
Starting point is 00:35:05 and was followed by a more standalone fifth film. Interesting. And then a sixth and seventh film that rebooted the franchise with Alan was taking over the Kurt Sloan role, with Van Dam returning as his trainer. He didn't play Kurt Sloan? the TV series titled Operation Kickboxer will be a martial arts driven espionage series and pass
Starting point is 00:35:28 just make it that's not what made the thing special pass they used to do that with martial arts stuff all the time showed me nuts every MMA film before like a warrior was like crime elements and all this is just making a sports film
Starting point is 00:35:45 espionage what's doing no no thanks pass more stuff on give me yeah kickboxer first kickboxer was oh I don't I don't understand people sometimes I really don't I really don't here's something exciting um you guys ever heard me talk about shoes and beef yes or no just give me a yes or no you've ever heard not not just me say shoes and beef do you know what shoes and beef is and I'm curious if you do because I want to I'm going to put something up on the screen here
Starting point is 00:36:19 Let me do this. Uh-oh. Hold on a second. I want to see if everybody knows. Let me know if you know not. If I've talked to you in general about shoes and beef, and you know what it is. Tell me in the comments if you know what shoes and beef is. Oh, a lot of super chats come in.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Holy mackerel. Oh, where do you? Oh, take on all the super chats right now. Give me a sec. Oh, my gosh. You guys are the best. I didn't know that was going to happen, but I appreciate it. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:36:49 Oh, my gosh. So many coming in? Okay. So what I was saying now about Susan Beef, Shoes and Beef, Shoes and Beef, so if you guys did not know what Shoes and Beef is, let me know, because I'm going to tell you about it anyway. I'm excited to tell you about it. It's very something I'm very passionate about.
Starting point is 00:37:11 And I can't, I'm not kidding me. This isn't, this isn't bullshit. What the hell is he talking about, Shoes and Beef? It is, it's, I'm being completely, completely serious. I want to hear me because I can't remember how many people I told about it at one point. If I've ever talked about it in past shows, I don't remember. But let's see if I can, I want to see if I can upload it. If it doesn't work, then I'll do it some other time.
Starting point is 00:37:35 But let's see, is this is it? Come on, is that working? Oh, this could work. It's good word. All right, let's see. So Collider Day, Shoes and Beef song. Yeah, I had the Shoes and Beaf song. Here's the story of Shoes and Be friends for life.
Starting point is 00:37:49 They both came from the same cow. unfortunately died. Now don't be sad little kiddies. It's not what you think. He didn't die in a slaughterhouse because that would really stink. He lived a full and happy life and died of natural causes. Shoes and beef and beef and shoes. Shoes and beef and beef and shoes. All right, shoes and beef. It's a, it's an animated show that Brett and I came up with a long time ago, a long time ago. I'm really excited. I don't have the art on me right now, but really excited to,
Starting point is 00:38:29 the other day, I had somebody reach out to me about animating something in general. And I said, yeah, I think that sounds fun. But let me tell you about this. And I sent him the, I sent them the script.
Starting point is 00:38:45 I sent him the arts. The arts? Yeah, sent him the arts. All of the arts throughout the years. He's busy. But I sent him the art. And he's like, yeah, man, I'm going to take a shot at this. So we're going to try to animate the full episode of Shoes and Beef.
Starting point is 00:38:58 And I think what I want to do is I'm going to debut it on this channel. That's the goal is to debut it on this channel. The goal is to try to do a live screening of it in Los Angeles or somewhere and have Brett there and have it. I want to get Jamie Costa and Josh Robert Thompson and new voices. That's my goal. And again, this is like me just, this is the first time I've ever talked about it. And it's, but I have all the art, a lot of stuff. couple. Here's the story of shoes and be friends for life. They both came from the same cow who
Starting point is 00:39:29 unfortunately died. Now don't be sad little kiddies. It's not what you think. He didn't live in a slaughter house because that would really stink. He lived a full and happy life. And then he died of natural causes. That is a almost 20 year old song and it's going to be happening. I'm so excited for it. Brett and I've been trying to get shoes and beef off the, uh, off the, um, ground for a long time. We pitched it to Nicodian back in the day. Oh, here's something that I didn't, I, I always forget. If you guys are geek buddies fans, Michael Vogel did the artwork for shoes and beef.
Starting point is 00:40:08 He did the, he did, he created the, the, the artwork of shoes and beef. I got to show you guys. Um, Paul Preston would be a fantastic shoes. So by the way, shoes is one. One shoe, but he's called shoes. And beef is his sidekick. Shoes and beef. That's it.
Starting point is 00:40:28 Here's the story of shoes and beef. It's going to stick in your head. Absolutely going to stick in your head. There's an opera bug. There's a rotten potato. All that stuff. And it's Brett and I wrote the whole thing. So, you know, you can figure it out from there.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Anyway. It's hilarious. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, shoo. All right. Oh, I need athletic greens to keep myself going in the morning, man. I love athletic greens. I really do. I'm such a big fan of them. I'm so glad that they're back. We have shoes and beef. I love it. It's great. Progressive presents adjusting to the suburbs. It never dawned on me how much walking I used to do until I bought a house in the suburbs. Like when I'd say, I'm going for coffee. Of course I was walking. But now it's like three miles and no latte is worth that.
Starting point is 00:43:37 I find myself inviting people on walks with me like it's a scheduled activity. This morning, my neighbor asked me what I'm doing and I actually said, I'm going for a walk with Nancy. Anyway, when you save with Progressive by mumbling your home at auto, that's the easy part of adjusting to the suburbs. Progressive Casualty Insurance Company coverage provided in service by affiliates and third-party insurers. So thank you, Aisha says, I wish we're doing this all the time when it's just me. The problem is this, and I've told people this many times over. And I was, even when I was on John's show the other day, John's an anomaly, man.
Starting point is 00:44:07 There are a few people that can still do live shows and YouTube favors it in the algorithm. I do not get favored in the algorithm when I come to live shows. Like this is a show that is going to have a lot of different topics. It's going to have a lot of different topics. And I don't think it's going to do as well as some of the other shows because for some reason, it just doesn't get favored. But we'll see. If this show does over 10,000 views, we'll see.
Starting point is 00:44:35 A lot of super chats still coming in. And I, wow, I am, I am overwhelmed. I am humbled. I'm humbled. I'm humbled for that. I mean, again, I'm always surprised when the super chats come in. Because again, this isn't like old S-E-N live days. This is something like, hey, guys, we need to hit a goal. We need to do this.
Starting point is 00:44:52 We need to do that. It's like, hey, if you want to ask questions, throw them in there and I'll get to them. But I just strategy strategy is changed. Strategy is changed. And I'm glad that it has. Be able to, you know, navigate the system. That's always got to be a way to pivot, right? All right.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Let's get to this last thing, and then we'll start getting into some of these questions here. Martin Scorsese is back in the news. You ever know what he's going to say? The legend of Martin Scraesee. All right. Oscar-winning filmmaker, Martin Scorsese, made a recent appearance at the New York Film Festival
Starting point is 00:45:33 and offered a several minute speech about the state of modern cinema. The silence and the departed filmmaker praised the festival for championing filmmaking at a time when cinema is devalued, demean, belittled from all sides, not necessarily the business side, by certainly the art. He goes off to say that the big part of the issue has the industry's focus on the film's financial success.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Sorry. Since the 80s, there's been a focus on numbers. It's kind of repulsive. It's repulsive, but I mean, I get it. I get it as a filmmaker. The cost of a movie is one thing. Understand that the film's cost a certain amount. They expect to get at least that money, I mean, I'm back.
Starting point is 00:46:06 The emphasis is now on numbers cost the opening weekend, how much it made in the U.S., and how much it made in England, how much it made in Asia, how much it made in the entire world, and how many viewers got to it. As a filmmaker, as a person who can't imagine life without cinema, I always find it really insulting. I also got to remember, man, the business changes. I understand. I get it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:46:25 That's the one reason he adores a film festival itself because it's not about competitions, about embracing cinema art as a form. I've always known that such considerations of no place at the New York Film Festival, and here's also the cue with this. There are no awards here. You don't have to compete. You just have to love cinema here. Um, I look, I understand. I really do.
Starting point is 00:46:46 I get it when filmmakers, because Edgar writes has something recently too. And I, I get it. And it's frustrating because the bottom line is filmmakers like Scorsese and Edgar right are going to have a hard time doing major numbers and having people see their stuff, um, in theaters in theaters because streaming is such a massive thing now. streaming is is and and because of the systems that we have right we have we're like I'm going to have like one of of the thing Brett's doing is we're going to set up a good I'm getting surround sound in here and we're going to get like a nice system so when we do watch along as we do things that we can kick back as like
Starting point is 00:47:27 okay you know what Halloween ends we got a big enough screen we got enough going on right now and it's it's pretty enjoyable let's watch it in here you know and and I think a lot of people feel that way especially families and stuff. It's like, I don't know, spend that much money to go see Scorsese's movie in the theater. I think I might wait. And I'm not telling you film nuts are not going to go run out to see it because I want to go see his movie in the theater when it comes out. But that's not the choice. And that's not it's the cinema has changed.
Starting point is 00:47:57 And it's a bummer. And I get it. But that's not why people go. People don't just go to the movies now for the big. It's like almost he said it years ago. It's like going to a venture park now. That's why people go to the movies for the most part. Not everyone. I'm not saying everybody does, but a lot of people, majority.
Starting point is 00:48:11 That's why these movies do well. Like, you know, it's a business. It's a business. Okay. I think that's everything. I think there's everything as far as what we're, the big things we're talking about for you. I want to, I want to make sure that we get to your super chats.
Starting point is 00:48:30 And as I said, I am going to also, I'll tell you, you know, if you, it's, it's going to be hard for me to, to. I'm going to cut it off at a certain point. So I'll make sure that everybody gets their stuff in and I'll give you a warning. It's a good problem to have, obviously, but I'll give you a warning as far as when to stop sending them in. So let me, let me load them all up. Let me see if there's anything else that we need to talk about at all. And again, if there's something that I missed and you throw it in the super chat, I'll get to it.
Starting point is 00:48:57 I don't know. Maybe I think I covered everything. At least everything that's big right now. All right. So I'm glad you guys like that. the premises shoes and beef. I'm excited. That's the other thing I want to do. I want to, and I realize that a lot of this comes through, you got to promote it, right? So I want to keep telling you guys now, now I don't know how long it's going to take this guy to, to do the episode.
Starting point is 00:49:20 Animation takes time. So, and I saw a lot of stuff that I don't want to tell exactly who he is yet, know that stuff yet because I don't want to put pressure on him. I don't want to do any of that stuff yet. We're still kind of talking, but, but his animation is fantastic. It's really, really good. Um, so I'm excited about it. That song that I sang is the opening theme song where they, you know, everything kind of gets turned alive. Shoes and Beef could turn alive. And, um, and this stick gets blown into the, the thing and it gets turned alive. And that's Thomas, the narrator.
Starting point is 00:49:50 And he was, he was voiced by my friend Ian Virgo, who has been on Essian live a couple times. Um, when he, we did that, we did the theme song, Shoes and Beef. Let me see if I have it. And if I do, you might be able to hear it. Let me see. Let me see if I can find it. If I can find it, and then you guys can tell me if you can hear it or not. What hell is it?
Starting point is 00:50:12 Oh, come on. It's doing this stupid thing. I'll be able to have it. Show it in. Let me see. Okay. All right, I'm going to look for it real quick.
Starting point is 00:50:24 And if I can find it, I'll play this, it's the same thing that I just sang to you, but it was actually Ian, who's way more, is actually a trained singer and he's phenomenal. And we knew what the character was. It was from years ago.
Starting point is 00:50:35 But I played it for my kids the other day. and they loved it. Have it? I guess I don't have. Do I have? Oh, I do have it. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:50:48 So if you guys can hear it, let me know. I'm going to turn that thing off and make sure you can hear it. And then I'm going to try this. Here, tell me if you hear this. Oh, that's not it. Can you hear that? Did you hear that whistling?
Starting point is 00:51:09 Tell me if you heard that whistling. If you heard that whistling, then I'll, then I'll continue. If not, then it's nothing. So did you, you can hear it. Okay, you heard the whistling? Great. Okay. All right, here it comes. This is, this is, so this is from years ago when we were pitching it out and Ian sang it. And it's, it's pretty great. Now, here's the story of shoes and be friends for life. They both came from the same cow who unfortunately died. Now, don't be sad little kiddies. It's not what you think. He didn't die in a slaughterhouse because that would really stink. He lived a full and happy life and died of natural causes. Yay. Shoes and beef and beef and shoes. Shos and beef and beef and shoes and the shoes and a beef and a beef and a beef and a beef and a beef and a beef and a shoe and a diet of natural causes thing at the end when you hear that slap. That's the opera bug. He sings and slaps and always smelt. And we're
Starting point is 00:52:25 into things when he sings. Yeah. Anyway. So I'm excited about it. I hope it comes out. I hope we're able to get it out. I hope you guys enjoy it. It's fucking stupid and I love it.
Starting point is 00:52:40 I love it. All right. There's more. You guys are crushing it with these super jets. Holy shit, man. Yeah, well, we'll release more stuff and I'll show you some of the art that we have for shoes and beef.
Starting point is 00:52:51 And I can't even say, can I even show this? Let me see if I can. Let me see if I can. Show you beef. Beef's awesome. I love beef. Where is he? It's, yeah, it should be. I'm going to see if I can find it. If I can do that and then we can get into it. Where is the step screen? Let's go share screen. See if I can find it. I have it. Oh, yeah. Okay. Oh, no, you can't see it. That sucks. Let me try one more time. Try one more thing. One more thing, guys, and then we'll move on. I promise. I'm just very, I'm just very, I'm just very, I'm just, very very very excited about about this but uh no i can't find it i'm sorry i'll get it i'll get it for you guys eventually anyway let me let me get some of these um let me get some of these super chats let me
Starting point is 00:53:44 the rest of them loaded in and then we'll start bringing them up on screen for remainder of go i'm going to the last one okay here we go so super chats i'm gonna put them on to the i'm gonna load them up right now so again i'm gonna go through all these right now so again i'm gonna go through all these now and then I'll answer all the questions that I can and then make sure that you guys if you have anything else fire them in now because I'm not gonna because I'm gonna give you a cut off when it's time to cut it all so all right here we go shit man you guys put a ton of these things in there I thank you so much very nice of you very nice of you breaking actor Robbie Coltrane oh no
Starting point is 00:54:19 well heavy coach Robbie Coltrane pass away Hagrid he wasn't looking very good on that on that special He was looking, that's terrible. That's terrible. Is that true? Scraise is going to direct a gang of New York TV show? I didn't know that. That's terrible.
Starting point is 00:54:39 Robbie Coltrane was the man. All right. Let's see. Let's get to some, let's get to some of these questions. Well, sorry, we'll start with this one. Just came up. So let me, uh, let's, let's get to, it just came in here.
Starting point is 00:54:54 So I will do this one. Bring it up. Trash Panda. The heart of the MTF. where the cut scenes. I hope you can transition into scripted stuff like shoes and beef with a talent pull that you've built. Well, thank you for that. That's kind of the goal. But like I said, the thing that I want to do and what I want to make sure is as we build the channel out and you guys learn more about like Brett Sheridan, right? And other people is that you and people on the show is that when I put it out there that you guys like,
Starting point is 00:55:24 I don't want it to because we put out like so we put out some of the the animation videos that Diesel Time did for like those Star Wars scenes and they're hilarious. That guy is so talented. They're hilarious and they ate shit on this channel. They didn't do well. And they're so good. It has no reflection to his work because they're brilliant. He did this whole thing with Rob Zami that I'm like hesitant to put it on the channel
Starting point is 00:55:47 because it just doesn't do well. So I'll probably put it on the Clips channel. But shoes and beef, you know, yeah, it's something that we love. So I'm going to promote the piss out of it and hope you guys watch it. So that's that's the that's the hope. That's the hope. All right. So thank you for that one.
Starting point is 00:56:04 Let's start with this one. Oops. Okay. Starting here with a cutter hail. As a big Halloween fan, I was very disappointed at Halloween ends. At this point, the only movie that could potentially be Top Gun for me is Avatar.
Starting point is 00:56:20 You know what's so funny about that? I had a, so yesterday when I saw Black Adam, I got to, I was sitting next, I was sitting at the theater. It was a smaller screening. And there were some people.
Starting point is 00:56:29 I was like, I don't know a lot of people here. when I look over to my right, Perry and Emerald was sitting next to me. And I started talking to Perry. And Perry and I started talking about Avatar for a little bit. And she's not like a, she's, you know, she saw it. She was one of those people that she said, I saw it. I was just fine. The first one, you know, and I was, I'm a, I'm a fan of the first movie. And I've even watched it recently and I like it. But I think what people forget, because it did get it. If you watch it now, you're like, yeah, it wasn't that good. I don't see the hype. The hype around that movie was the theater experience. Talk about theater experience. That was the theater experience. So and it's got no competition when it comes out, by the way.
Starting point is 00:57:05 No competition. Shazams moved and everything else moved. Um, so it's got no competition. So it'll last until at least February where, uh, Ant Man comes out if people go and see it. The question is, I'm wondering about the frame rate because I remember how many people hated the frame rate and, um, when the Hobbit came out. The frame rate, I did not love when I saw the, the footage at, um, at D23, but the, but the stuff they show the underwater stuff was just magical.
Starting point is 00:57:32 And I like the story that it was being shown. But I'm, that one's, that one's, I'm so curious about that one, how that's going to play. So curious. So curious. Very interesting. All right. Let's get to this next one. Ben Rainer, the great Ben Rainer, Ben, thank you for that generous super chat, my man.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Very, very nice of you. Thank you, my friend. Hey, Christian, who do you think, wait, do you think that Asoko will do, well, we'll, we'll deal with the joke how do you think soka will do with the general how do you think a soka will do with the general audience who haven't seen rebels uh how do they market this show will it be hard to do hope more live shows i'll sign it for one-on-one would be cool um yeah well thank you for yeah ben you definitely should sign up for the one-on-man you've been so supportive on on somebody i mean even the day when it was on campy as you came in there thank
Starting point is 00:58:22 you so much for that um so the answer to that question as far as oscar goes I don't think that rebels, I don't think a lot of the audience, they're going to have enough of a core audience that has seen it, that that'll bring part of the attention. I mean, it's essentially the next season of rebels. I mean, it really is. Throwback to the SEM live frame rates. What does that mean?
Starting point is 00:58:53 Frame rates are good here. Are you just talking about how it used to be? Just throwing that back. Anyway, but I think, I think that, that it's not going to matter because Rosario Dawson has enough star power with it. They announced her Mandalorian, right? And Mandalorian's their most popular show. So that alone, she became, and she was in Boba Fett as well through the Mandalorian scene.
Starting point is 00:59:15 So the audience who's not familiar with animated or already familiar with her. So they're going to be interested in and Favreau's name, Faloni's name. So I think it's going to transfer over and they'll just have to set the story about what it is. They are going to have to be careful that they don't just assume that people have seen rebels to make it sense. to make it have sense. Yeah. Okay. Let's see. So that was, that was Ben. Thank you, Ben.
Starting point is 00:59:38 Appreciate you, my man. All right, next one. Russell Amador. Let's go. Christian, you're more than likely touching base on this, but Harrison Ford can replace Hurt, but no Chadwick recasting. I've heard story,
Starting point is 00:59:51 plays factor in kind of forever, but still. Yeah, I know. That's why Russell, I want to see how, I want to see how it plays first. I want to see how it plays first in the new movie. I got to see how it plays. Because I don't know yet. I don't know how they're going to handle it. I don't know how it plays in.
Starting point is 01:00:14 I don't know any of that stuff. And I don't know if it's a matter of like, is it too soon to even think about that? Will we, will we be okay with it in like, you know, 10 years? The other thing that should be said is, William Hart still died pretty early. I think he was in his 70s.
Starting point is 01:00:32 late 60s, 70s, which is still fairly young for someone to go, but still lived anywhere between whatever. I mean, how old was William Hart when he died? Let me see. I want to make sure I'm accurate before I start saying this. William Hart, he was 71. So he was 71 years old. Now, that's, that's still fairly young, but he lived 71 years. Chadrick Boseman, I don't, I don't even think he was, was he 40? I mean, I think he was barely 40? It's 43. It's 43. Still, really young.
Starting point is 01:01:08 Really young. So it's, it's one of those things where you look and you say, okay, 71 years old, Harrison Ford, I think people, and not like the massive lead character and people are going to be more forgiving on it. Not forgiving. I don't know, that's a word, but just more accepting of it. Same way, I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:01:29 I mean, they didn't touch Carrie Fisher's role and Leah had a massive role in the, in the Truvaro thing. So I don't know. Yeah, it's a tough one. It's a tough one. All right. Let's keep moving on. Keep moving.
Starting point is 01:01:45 Angel Ortiz just puts in $9.99. Excuse me, almost. 10 bucks. Thank you, sir. That's very nice of you. I appreciate that. What the hell is that? That's me being an idiot.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Just a guy named Dave. With the great start to Andrew, do you think Lucas is almost signed Tony Groy to do more projects? Well, there's, there's two things to that. The first question is, does he want to do more? Right? That's the first question. Does he want to do more?
Starting point is 01:02:15 And if he does, then he should. The question is this, I mean, this is clearly, he wanted to tell a story, he wanted to tell a spy thriller inside of the Star Wars universe, and he's succeeding tenfold. And he's not like, and I saw some of Kevin Smets and the guys over at Scoundrelz Inc. And they were doing, and they were talking about this. And they were talking about how, now what does Tony Gilroy really know about the can, can and he doesn't know it because of the the basically what they meant was the
Starting point is 01:02:43 artifacts and the stuff that was in the back that there he probably didn't choose it no he probably didn't but he probably definitely knew that he wanted stuff from it and went and said okay like we kind of have artifacts and bring in one of the lucas from do me favor put in this this you know put in some stuff that you guys think would really work and some in some fun easter eggs and that type whatever it might be on easter eggs pertaining but stuff that from the history of the thing um and i think he's detailed on it and i think he i think he's really built building out a world. Now, what I, and I said this yesterday on, I don't remember which, which show was, it might have been said, what I want to make sure that what I hope, what I hope I should say,
Starting point is 01:03:18 well, I can't make sure on anything, but what I hope the Lucas film doesn't do is that they love this philosophy of the fact that George Lucas always said that Star Wars was for kids, which it was. When it was built in 77, it was for kids, for sure. Um, those kids have grown up. We have grown up with it. If you saw the prequels in 99, you grew, up with it. It doesn't mean that you pass it away and move on. I'm not telling you there shouldn't be stuff for kids as well. Of course there should be. But I think Andor has proven that you can do both. I think Andrew has proven that you don't have to just go like the writing, say what you will, there's a lot of great moments in Obi-1. The writing wasn't great. It was okay. And it was no
Starting point is 01:03:57 development. The show is so structured and developed. I said this today that was to somebody that writing wise, I still, Mandeloreen's still my favorite. Writing wise, it's the best written, written project, not telling enjoyment-wise, written. Tell me in the comments, because I'm sure people are going to disagree with this statement, it is the best written Star Wars material since Empire Strikes Back. I'm not telling you that it is the best project. I'm not telling you it's the most enjoyable one. I'm telling you that it is the best written one. Agree or disagree, and if you disagree, what is better written? Overall, I'm talking story, dialogue, all of it. I'm not just talking about, you know, the story, I'm going to, all of it.
Starting point is 01:04:42 So, yeah. Anyway, um, okay, let's get to another thing. Anyway, thank you guys. I appreciate all these. There's a lot of them. Um, did I miss you? Oh, there you go, Mike Joyce. I have a free ticket. Should I stay and watch Halloween ends on Peacock or see in the theater? I mean, if you got a free ticket, you should go see it in theater. Did you watch the other two? Go see in the theater. It's not you, I, I said this, and I don't know if I said on the review, I didn't hate, I didn't hate, um, watching it, right? I didn't regret watching it. Um, I enjoyed watching it.
Starting point is 01:05:18 So yeah, go see it in the theater. Absolutely. If you have a free ticket, go ahead, have a blast. Calvin Patel. How do they convince Ford to join Thunderbolts? Well, he's got a relationship with them and, and money, but he's got a relationship with them. So any problem, you know, working Kevin Feig, he's good. I mean, you know, he's a lot of.
Starting point is 01:05:37 stars have been involved. How do they convince Robert Redford as well? So there you go. How about that? Okay. And let me get to this. Hold on a second. Give me, give me, give me, give me, give me a second. Gunny 0813. What error would be fit for some tone like and or? I mean, I think Darth Bain, I just don't ever think that the old republic at times. I just don't think that they would have the balls to lead with. And this does include, and I, I'm always an advocate saying how you don't, don't always say Disney, Disney, in charge of it.
Starting point is 01:06:16 Disney does this. A lot of times they're not creative, but I do think that they would have a pushback if, we're going to lead our next series with just a bad guy because indoor is dark, but it leads with a good guy. Leading with a bad guy, I don't see it happening.
Starting point is 01:06:28 I would love it. I just don't see it happening. It's a bummer, but I don't ever see that show happening. All right. Let's see. Keep going here. Do we go one?
Starting point is 01:06:37 We did that one, yes. I'm going to get through all of them. Cutter Hill, as a right now, what are some movies that you were excited for in 2023? I'm really excited for John Wick 3 Oppenheimer and Mission Impossible 7. I'm looking forward to all of those movies. We went through a whole big thing and like Creed 3. I'm curious about Indy 5 is absolutely probably one of my, if not, I'll do a full list.
Starting point is 01:07:01 I always do one. I always do like a full list of my most anticipated. So I'll, I'll make a list. list on that probably in January. But yeah, for sure. Um, trash panda loves Snyder landing in the Ford scoop. Me too. He worked hard on it. Also, Ross and the leader ties cap four to the incredible Hulk film. MCU is leaning into the hoax. Good. More rage Hulk. Give me rage Hulk. Please. Please. The love of God. My five year old, by the way, says that all the time now. For the love of God. Wicked art. Hey Christian. So I want to say, I love everything you been doing with the channel. Thank you,
Starting point is 01:07:38 you've been pretty great too. It's been awesome. Hopefully one of the one-on-one won't sell out so quickly so I can stag one up. Keep up the great work. So PLD and I talked about this yesterday. One of the things that the way it works is keep your eye on the patron, Patreon. And sometimes people will do it, we'll do one of them. And then they just want to be in for that month. Maybe they only want to do one session and they drop out. And so when that happens, just make sure you can, you can get in. And yeah, we might do something where maybe after a couple of months, we, we just kind of drop out everybody and allow it to open up again.
Starting point is 01:08:18 So everybody has an opportunity. But we don't know, we're not sure yet. But it should open up soon. We also have another tier, which is a very expensive tier, but it's, it's one where it's basically where you and, you and me, whoever will do what's a one-on one podcast where it's like a full-on podcast where you'll get the audio and all that stuff. and but after we do the podcast because I want to make sure I'm doing, you know, you got to be approved to make sure that it's, um, that it's, that it's a,
Starting point is 01:08:42 a good show, but people and it'll be aired to the patrons and stuff too, but that's, that's a very, that's a very exclusive tier. Uh, Bobby Brake, did you have you, did you finish rings of power and thoughts on waiting two or three years for next season? Well, waiting two, three years is stupid. I agree. John, John Campia said this the other day when I was on the show and I agree. Um, they knew that they were going to greenlight it. They should have started filming like, so the boys, by the way,
Starting point is 01:09:05 the boys are um is very smart knew that they were getting greenlit right away and started filming right away that that's what lord of the rings should do you're going to get lost in the in the in the in the shuffle i did not see the finale yet my goal was that i'm going to do this show here today and i'm going to try to do a watch a reaction to it send that off to nerd chronic and get that out by the end of the day hopefully but i hear i hear good things you hear good things Um, let's see, Black Adam is tracking for 75 million opening now. Cutter Hill. Yeah, that's what I, that's 75 is, is a good number, I think, and it's probably the right number.
Starting point is 01:09:46 And I think PLD said that earlier. So I, I agree with that. Uh, Bobby Jackson. Great Bobby Jackson. I don't have his, uh, name up there. I'm sorry, Bobby. That's a very generous $20 super chat. Thank you, man.
Starting point is 01:09:58 That's awesome. While I enjoyed rings of power. Is that you also? Maybe that's you also. There you go. Get that smile and face. Bobby's the best. I got a chance. I did a show at Flappers Comedy Club and Bobby was there and we talked a little bit. Good guy. Been such a supporter of the show. We've got a very chance to at the Schmodeown meetings or Schmodeown meetups or or anything that we've done to talk to Bobby.
Starting point is 01:10:22 What a good guy. I love that Bobby Jackson. Bobby says, while I enjoyed rings of power, I'm hoping the two-year break allows the writers to course correct and expand on stories, fans liked and wrap up and change the ones that he didn't. I'd love to see more of Elrond and Duren in season two. Agreed. If you're going to take that two-year break, make it count. Totally agree with you, my man. Totally agree. All right. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:10:47 So that's Bobby's. Is it the same one? That's the same one. All right. Nick Alexander. I know you said you aren't doing the one-on-ones, but we do more guests like Sholo, Thomas Ian Griffith. So, yes, if I get people,
Starting point is 01:11:02 so the way I'm doing it right now is, If I get people that are coming in and I get offered people or if I take a shot at somebody and get them, then of course I want to do that. So by the way, I've been working with Josh Horowitz, been helping him out with his YouTube channel and stuff. And if you have not subscribed to his channel, you are missing out. That is the channel to be subscribed to. That dude gets everyone, everyone. And he should.
Starting point is 01:11:33 he is a brilliant interviewer. He is a great human being. I love Josh Horowitz, more than anything. He's such a really nice guy, funny guy, and people love him, rightfully so. He had Patty Constantine is how you pronounce it. Found that out through his interview. Patty Constadine talking House of the Dragon. He's got so many good, he's got live events coming up in New York. He's going, he's going to have Stallone. The symphony theater where we did a schmodeown. He's doing, he's having Ralph Machio on. So go subscribe, to his channel because he's got tons of events. He got so many things. He hit 5,000 subscribers already like that. That channel is going to blow up. It's going to blow up. Josh Harwich is the man. He's got, so the big answer to that question is watching him do what he does. He's got these contacts and stuff that I just, I just don't have. And I want to make sure that I have, as we build this stuff out, I'm going to make, and I build the channel out. I'm going to make more of a play to get more people in. I was talking to Saraya for a little bit from now AEW and was trying to get her on the show. And she's,
Starting point is 01:12:33 reached out to me since she wanted to do it and then she signed with AEW and I had to three AWEWs booker so I don't know um anyway all right let's see so that was so yes the answer is I will absolutely do it if it comes up if you know if I get the right people coming in Haskell 420 what up dude missed you in New York last weekend yeah I know I was supposed to do it man I'm supposed to do it the guys crushed it as usual as did Andrew Schultz on Thursday show did Schultz come in that's hilarious any updates on what you're going to do with the Twitch channel. Thank you for that question. So the answer is yes, there is an update.
Starting point is 01:13:11 Brett's going to take over it. Once he's done with the studio, Brett's going to take over. We have those, you guys through that Amazon list bought us a bunch of those headsets. So Brett's going to do some stuff with his son. We're going to bring some other people to do some stuff as we build out. We're going to build that Twitch channel out pretty heavily to do more gaming stuff. And he'll be able to do stuff from here. and once we set up the system.
Starting point is 01:13:33 So yes, Brett will be handling a lot of that for sure. Absolutely. Cutter Hill. Me and some friends bought some tickets for the Royal Rumble in San Antonio during the pre-sale tickets are insane just to sit in the low risers of $200. Yeah. I'll tell you what, man. People were talking to me about the WWE and like, hey,
Starting point is 01:13:50 if you watched since Triple H took over and I was like, I've tuned in here and there. I watched the other night. It's really good. I was like, I found myself for the first time in years, actually following along to the story and caring about where the story went. And I didn't finish the whole episode, but I'm like, I want to go back to it and see what happened.
Starting point is 01:14:05 Like, I thought it was, I thought that storytelling is so much better now since Triple H took over. And, and it's got an old school feel to it. It was, it was, it was good. So I understand why they're selling those tickets as high. And that's a, that's a big event. That's a big event. So, yeah, I, I see why the tickets are so much. Um, I missed.
Starting point is 01:14:22 Did I miss? Okay. Soundwave Chronicles. How would you feel about a deal similar to James old Jones voicing Vader to have Harrison Ford agree to use his voice and likeness for Red Hulk moving forward. I mean, sure. I mean, if that I, the difference is this. James Joel Jones, it's so like, James old Jones, it's just synonymous with Vader, right? You hear it and you're like, that's nobody else. And even when the argument was going, they, they sound a little old.
Starting point is 01:14:49 Like, I thought the way that they did it and handled it for Obi-1 was brilliant. The younger sounding, it was brilliant. It sounded so good. So it worked. And I was like, okay, that makes sense. Yeah. If you can do it, use them forever. as far as the Red Hulk, I don't know what it sounds like yet. I don't know, but if it's, if it's going to work and they need his voice, then yeah, why not? Absolutely. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:15:11 All right, let's keep moving on. Senior film just put in $10. Thank you, senior film. You're the man. I appreciate that. That's always very nice. Really, really nice. Just a guy named Dave, just for the Choos and Beef song.
Starting point is 01:15:23 Thank you. Thank you so much. I want David B to do a version of that. Greet Pack 9. What up, how you doing? in and or and or and it's vibe what do you think of the tone of osoka should be i think in the vein of mandolian i think the tone of of asoka should fit that i think because it's consistent with inside of that timeline so i i'd like to see him continue on to that and see that because if you
Starting point is 01:15:49 look at when they showed that little the the scene the first like um clip they showed a celebration when Mando's walking through and they have the, they've got the, um, the town that he's walking through and the, and what's his face? The freaking, the freaking,
Starting point is 01:16:08 shit, the freaking monkey from, uh, help me out somebody with, uh, return of the Jedi. The, hey,
Starting point is 01:16:18 they, they roast in those things. And it just felt like it was right past return of the Jedi. It just felt right afterwards. and that's what I kind of hope happens. I hope they continue to do that. I hope they continue to keep that feel. We'll see.
Starting point is 01:16:34 No, not Ewox. Silly. Yeah, salacious crumb. He walks. Yeah, he walks burning on the flame. Hilarious. This, this dude, there's so many Wog and so many, so many of you who put out stuff in the Amazon list
Starting point is 01:16:52 and people when you bought gifts and I got all your notes, I thank you so much for, for everything. You guys are the best. This dude, first rate Nate, got us these lights that would work with the TV. I mean, first rate Nate is royalty in the studio. And he got himself some athletic greens and he said, it tastes amazing. He's awesome. Dude, you're the best.
Starting point is 01:17:14 You are forever like, I'm indebted to you, my friend. This studio looks as good as it does for people like you. So thank you so much. This, I think might be the last one. I'll tell you in a second. Nick Alexander, would you do podcast crossover such as Sith Council with Star Wars explained or capes and cows with the geek buddies? Probably not. And the reason why is because I'm, and I've told Roka this and I've, I really, as you guys know, if you're Shmodeown fans, you know, I really dislike virtual shows.
Starting point is 01:17:48 I really dislike them. I don't like virtual interviews. I know that I'll take them. Like when Thomas Ian Griffith says, I can't come. in a studio i'm not going to say i'm not going to do it i really dislike them and i don't i think that it loses a rhythm i think it lose you don't you don't get as much i think people don't like don't people talk over each other without realizing it you don't get the humor inside of it um so probably not i really don't like them at all i i just feel like they're they're dated and
Starting point is 01:18:17 you know it brings me back to the 2020 um the 2020 2020 2021 feel and I'm like I don't want to and again nothing it's people who do them I just don't like them. I just don't I need to split screen stream yard shows I just I just don't like the way they look. I don't like the way they feel. I don't like the vibe of it. But again, more power to everybody who does them. I'm so glad people are still doing it and they enjoy it. I personally just don't love it.
Starting point is 01:18:44 So I probably probably not, probably not especially in an episode here and there. I don't know, maybe, but I don't know. Let me double check and see. If there's anything else that I missed, there is. No, I didn't. Okay. All right. So I think that's it.
Starting point is 01:19:03 If anybody has anything else, throw it in right now. If not, I'm going to sign off. And I want to thank you guys for joining us here today. That was very, it was fun. Did you guys have fun? Did you like this? Did you not like it? Let's see how it does overall.
Starting point is 01:19:17 Oh, thank you, Ryan. Ryan says happy belated birthday. Thank you. Appreciate that. Um, if you like this, let me know. And also if you're watching on the replay, put a comment in like that helps. It helps people see it because people are saying, yeah, you should do, you should do more live shows. Yeah, but if they don't do well, the thing is you got to remember that we have sponsors, right?
Starting point is 01:19:41 And I'm always been up front with you guys and I always been like, you know, clear on how this thing works. if I put up a show and the show does 6,000 views as opposed to the normal pre-tape that can do anywhere between 10 to 20, what do you think the sponsor is going to like more? You know, like the one with more active comments. They're going to like the one with more people seeing it, purchasing the thing. And that's what keeps us on the air. Like, yeah, there's not this thing where we have the Shmobot on and all that. But I still, you got to, in order to make, you order to pay people to be on your shows in order to make a living.
Starting point is 01:20:16 in order to make a living out of it. You got to make sure that you securing sponsorships, doing the right thing, building up your channel. So hopefully, hopefully this one does well. And I like doing it. I like talking to you guys and I like having you guys, hearing your thoughts and opinions. Sometimes I forget to talk about certain things.
Starting point is 01:20:33 So, you know, you did that here today. So if there's anything else, by the way, that you've ever wanted to know, you wanted to talk, we do a Q&A every month on the Patreon. It's an exclusive Q&A. and it is about 30 minutes. PLD and I say it's 30 minutes, but it's gone over,
Starting point is 01:20:51 it's almost like an hour every single time. Thoughts on the MGF pipe bomb promo. That's from Jamie and John. Let me sure I bring that up. It was great. He's a special talent, man, that guy. And I've come around on him where I, I watch him.
Starting point is 01:21:09 He's about as committed as it gets. He's one of my favorites out there. I think he's great. And I think he will, he will be part of the WWE eventually. I really do. So yeah, Ryan Cleary, glad your channel is doing well. Nice to see good people doing good. Thank you, Ryan.
Starting point is 01:21:23 It's very nice of you. Yeah, it's been, it's been fun, man. I'm putting everything. You know what it is? And I, I'm not ashamed to say it. And I'm not, I'm not too proud to say it. When my attention was in a million different places with Schmodeown and S.E.N. and everything else, too.
Starting point is 01:21:38 I couldn't really concentrate on one particular thing. and when it was too many cooks in the kitchen, that type of thing, it's never been my strength. But once I got out and did my, and really truly, and I think I told you guys, I was doing my own thing for what, I don't know, a month before I went over to Skybound and started taking it over and to Smodown and all that. But like being, like, Schmendatown was a great run and I loved every second of it. But the more and more that we've had time to marinate and say it's, you know, it's run its course and all that too. I'm not going to say it's just the schmodeown, but I'm in a much better headspace not having it in my life at the moment because I have this. I enjoy doing this.
Starting point is 01:22:21 I enjoy the shows. I enjoy the people that I'm that I've been really laughing with. I spend a lot of time. Brett was one of my best friends in the world. We've been spending a lot of time together lately and that's been good to do again. Talking to you guys having shows like this. So I just think things are kind of happen how they're supposed to happen, you know? So thank you.
Starting point is 01:22:44 I don't know. I think that's it. I think that's everything. So once again, if you hadn't had a chance, thank you to our sponsors today. Thank you to my bookie. Thank you, Athletic Greens.
