Hello, lovely people.
You know me.
I'm Winston.
I'm not Christian.
I don't know what I'm talking.
Actually, I do know what I'm talking like this.
My fiance left for vacation this morning at 5 something in the morning.
I wanted to say goodbye to the dog.
The dog promptly got let out of the box, peed on the bed.
I'm so tired.
I am so tired.
But we're going to do this.
We're going to have a great time.
We're going to talk about stuff.
Christian is working on the Game of Thrones stuff with Sam.
It's been doing gangbusters right now,
so they needed some extra time to record.
So it's going to be myself and Chris today.
We're going to have a good time.
We're going to talk about Sam Ramey wanting to do Spider-Man 4, apparently, after all.
What else are we talking about it?
There's like a list here.
Oh, Avengers Doomsday promo arts come out with a Magneto comic accurate helmet.
That's dope.
I love that.
Chloe Jow, talking about why Eternals wasn't really high on Marvel's priority list.
That sense.
And that is Wonder Man a Mutant in the MCU.
We're going to talk about all of that.
plus more.
We got to try and somehow beat 221
because y'all goons
were out here talking about porn stars
with Mike all week.
I don't know if we're going to be able to do it.
We're going to try.
I'm going to push really, really, really, really, really hard.
But let's just have fun and watch capes and gals.
It was good.
Welcome back to capes and cows, ladies and gentlemen.
Of course, you know me.
I am the one known as Winston & Marshall,
but I'm not here alone.
I am joined by the ever comparable, the ever beautiful.
And if I'm going to be 221, the only person in these streets that could possibly do it with me.
I'm, of course, talking about Chris.
We got to figure out how we can smut up this show.
We got to smut it up.
We got to smut it up.
This is where, what do we call ourselves, two, two, two, swaggy filts or two?
We're filthy blurts or, well, no, we're not because I've got.
For some reason, I feel like that has to be the name now.
Oh, I think it was filthy swag or swaggy filth or something.
Something like that.
We're going to have to, but somehow, somehow, we, the 221 for all the gooners.
So we're going to try.
We're going to try really, really, really hard.
But before we do that, I got to ask you, you already heard why I'm barely able to keep my eyes open.
As a matter of fact, I'm going to open the Celsius.
How is life treating you?
Dude, I also had a very restless night.
But that's, I think it's just because Logan has a really bad cold.
So he's been, he was like, I'm going to be on the couch.
I don't want to keep you up.
You've got the show.
And so I woke up at like three and was just like, lonely.
I am.
Also, can we talk about how we're coordinated?
Damn.
I just not.
See, that alone is worth 222 super chats.
I'll tell you that right now.
It's just that.
I just, I'm going to be honest.
Like as soon as Luke told us, that was the number.
I said, I'll just go back to bed.
I'm exhausted.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
No, no, no, no.
For sure, for sure.
We're going to, we're going to have a good time.
We're going to talk about all the stuff.
Ooh, Coins and girls.
That might be it.
Princess positive.
I'm here for it.
positive you win you win the prize god damn it that is fantastic i do i just i was just gonna say i also
love we by our dog is in a little bit of a rebellion right now because we decided to actually use
the auto feeder that we got from my sister um and so normally when we make her food we give her the
dry stuff first and mix it with some wet food and a little bit of pumpkin for like her digestive
track, a little bit of salmon oil for like her hair
and coat. And she
eats it slowly. She's like kind of
working her way through it, etc. The auto feeder
is just the dry stuff and then we give her that
external stuff is like in Kong form to
like keep her distracted and stuff like that, right?
So the dry food comes out, this bitch goes,
and then looks up and goes, okay, so
where's breakfast? And I'm like, you just ate
it. And she goes,
I know you fucking lie. There's no way
on Godfrey nerve you were dead
serious about that little ass.
Man, F this. And
that she will go storm off and sit in the corner like this for like a good hour.
Dude, my tiny one, he's a nightmare.
He comes and hits me now when he wants more food.
Oh, really?
Dude, she just straight up.
It's like, bro, she started shadowboxing the damn auto feeder.
When it would come, she was like, all right.
Give me that.
Give me a shit.
I mean, I would too.
I would too.
Yeah, absolutely.
All right, well, let's get into it.
Let's talk about these stories, man.
Our first one, Sam Remy has apparently maybe changed his mind about directing Spider-Man 4 with Toby McGuire.
Is Josh Wilding out of comic book movie?
Yep, comic book movie.
Spider-Man Trilogy director Sam Ramey recently appeared to close the door on ever returning to the franchise to continue the story of Toby McGuire's Peter Parker.
However, he seems to have had a sudden change of art, or as some have theorized, was referring to the original Spider-Man 4 script.
during an interview with Associated Press for Send Help,
Ramey was asked about making another Spider-Man movie.
Now, the filmmaker appears ready and willing to do so.
However, Ramey also reiterated that he doesn't want to step on Marvel's toes,
given what the studio has planned, I don't know, who calling me right now,
the studio has planned for Tom Hollins, Peter Parker.
I think the kids would like to see Toby Spider-Man said in a video.
Well, I'm not going to play the video, but I would like to see the kids.
I think the kids would like to see Toby's Spider-Man.
Right now Marvel is very successful on their own tangent with their own Spider-Man,
where he is involved with the Avengers and the other superheroes.
I don't think it makes sense right now to break up that great successful run they're having,
just to allow me to make another Spider-Man movie continued.
I'd love to.
The day might come, and I'd love to.
With the multiverse and play, there's really no reason why two Spider-Man franchises could coexist.
The moment has somewhat passed for that, unfortunately,
and we know Holland is locked in for another trilogy.
After that, it's widely believed to pass the mantle to a young,
actor who plays the MCU Miles Morales. I hope so. That'd be awesome. Still, it's not all bad news
for McGuire's web slinger. The actor is expected to return in Avengers Doomsday and Avengers
Secret Wars, potentially serving as the main spidey in the December's movie, in this December's
movie. When they called initially, I was like, finally McGuire said in 23, I just feel grateful.
I was really open immediately about coming to this, not with nerves, but to get to show up with
talented, creative people, and play together. It's just a yes. There's such an open-heartedness
to coming together and embracing each other and supporting each other.
That was really beautiful.
He added, working with Andrew and Tom was so dear to me.
It really was special.
A very rich experience for me all around.
It kind of reinvigorated my interest in performing.
It felt like a real brotherhood, which was what we were aiming for, too,
for us and for the characters.
You can hear more.
Yeah, this was the video.
I'm not going to play it, though, because I think, like, copyright.
I mean, yeah, I probably can't play that.
That's okay.
Um, let's go back.
So, Chris, you hear that.
Are you, are you about that life?
Would you want Ramey to come and do this Toby Spider-Man for?
Or are you kind of like, no, I'm good.
That was a fun thing for brand new day.
We'll see potentially Toby a little bit in Secret Wars and Doomsday.
I'm good.
What, what do you think?
I mean, Spider-Man is my guy.
So the more Spider-Man I can get, the happier I am.
Plus, when we look back at Spider-Man three, I mean, the studio did.
Sam dirty.
They did him dirty. That was so much studio
interference, like just shoehorning in
these other characters that he did not want to mess with
yet. And I would love
the opportunity for him to kind of course
correct and tell the stories that he really wanted
to. Because, I mean, Spider-Man, too, is
still on that kind of Mount Rushmore
of superhero movies for most people.
It's an excellent, excellent film.
And having somebody who understands, and I say this is somebody
who's not a huge horror person, body
horror like Sam Ramsey does, I think is so cool in the Spider-Man universe because I think that plays
into his kind of just rogues gallery so, so well. So I would be very open to it, especially since we do
have this multiverse very established, these various spider-men exist. And frankly, that itself just plays
into the deep Spider-Man lore, right, of Madam Webb, true Madam Webb, get out of here, Dakota,
all right and having all these various spider people who are interconnected and doing things in
different multiverses so it could be pretty cool i'd be interested to see where he's at no absolutely
man i mean look i will be honest i was not a big fan of multiverse of madness i felt like the styling
felt like we were going backwards in time and watching like a like an early 2000 superhero movie so it
just wasn't totally fair for me personally but i think the difference here would be i would be i
was expecting X based upon a previous Doctor Strange and what we've done with the MCU and stuff
like that giving me Spider-Man 4 so it's the styling of like a continuation of what we were
seeing previously it may still bother me a little bit but it's it will feel in theme you know what I
mean like it'll feel like it fits because it's just a continuation of what was already
going on so I think that's more where I am at with like because there are people
that use the kind of previous stylings on stuff before, and it doesn't bother me if that was
kind of the point. It just felt out of place relative to, you know, the other things we had been
seeing personally. But I mean, I think Ramey is genuinely a good director. The one thing I have
said about Multiverse of Madness is I was like, this is more of a Ramey film than it feels like
an MCU or a Dr. Strange film. And I think that's why it threw me off. It's not what I was
looking for. Oh, yeah. I completely agree. I,
watched it was like this, you know, feels like an evil dead movie.
Yep, yep.
I mean, the fact that you, in that, and I've never seen the evil dead movies, but I know
enough about him.
Isn't that, uh, Ash, that would, the guy that plays Ash, the, the hot dog guy.
Yeah, Bruce Campbell.
Yeah, yeah, he started punching his own face in, uh, in the post credit and what.
Love it.
Which, I mean, are those actually scary movies or they're just, they're just, uh,
oh, I can handle them.
So you'd be able to handle them.
Okay.
All right.
They're, they're off putting.
The first one in particular is like, there's,
some creepy messed up stuff that happens,
but they get kind of just more like fun and camp and ridiculous as time goes on.
I think you'd like them.
All right.
I might have to give it a shot then.
That might be on my list of things to do in the near future, man.
But with that being said, what do you all think, man?
Are you here for a Sam Ramey Spider-Man Toby McGuire,
Spider-Man 4?
Is that something that y'all will be down for?
Or you're like, nah, we good, bro.
Like, just give me Tom's new trilogy.
Give me miles.
And let's keep it pushing.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
Send in those super chats, man, again, the goons were out with Mike this week at 221.
So we're going to really need your help to try and pull this off.
So how about two, what do we decide, two swaggy filts?
Is that what we said?
Two swaggerful.
It was a cunts and cows.
The two swaggy fills present cunts and cows.
Help us out.
How quickly is that going to get us demonetized?
Because people hate that one.
I think it's a good word.
Oh, I think it's fine.
I think so.
Americans really freak out about it.
We get really upset.
We got people from Australia and England watching.
I think it's fine.
I, you know.
Okay.
I'm here for it then.
Maybe I'll stop saying it before all of a sudden I get a text from Chris.
I'll be like, what the fuck are you doing, bro?
Like, I leave you alone one time.
Oh, man.
All right.
Well, let's go to the next one, man.
Okay, a lot of people
were putting my name in all caps.
I have to stop, I guess.
That's probably not okay.
Stop doing that right now.
So, Avengers Doomsday promo art.
Yeah, Avengers Dooms Day promo art reveals Dr. Toom and Magneto's
comic accurate helmet.
Damn.
Now, hold on.
Chris, I need a second before I read this because I've really just broken my own brain.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry, it's my fault.
It's not your fault.
It's not your fault at all.
It's just the fact that everybody's like, grow.
And I'm like, okay, I'll stop.
All right, I'll stop.
I, uh, man, all right.
I'm so desensitized to it because we watch so much British television.
That's part of the problem.
That is a thousand percent the problem.
I hear it so much in British television that I don't see it as a bad word
anymore, but I get it.
I'm gonna stop it.
Oh, what?
Let's do this stuff.
Logan uses it in like the,
the world's end kind of way of like,
oh, you silly to people.
And people are always like,
see, see, people from Australia would be like,
nah, you're good, you're good, you're good, you're good.
Cool.
Thanks, Ozzy.
No, but for real, for real, here we go.
Avengers Doomsday promo art reveals Dr. Doom,
and Needles coming out here at Helmet and more.
Also, Josh Walding and comic book movie.
Merginized for Avengers Doomsday was on display
at a recent event at London's Pinewood Studios,
revealing an official look at the movie's main cast members.
These headshots were previously used.
on a crew gift for the movie's costume department.
Now they're featuring a comic book cover
with the Russo Brothers and Marvel Studios president
Kevin Feigy featured in its corner box.
Along with a better look at characters
like Beast and Nightcrawler,
we see Magneto's comic act here
at Red and Purple Helmet,
the young Franklin Richards,
and Robert Downey Jr.'s Dr. Doom.
The Avengers, New Avengers, and Loki also are featured.
Victor von Doom looks particularly formidable here,
but perhaps less so in a series
of more comedic pieces of merchandise.
We don't think DJ Doom will be making an appearance into Avengers Dooms Day, but you never know.
It seems like a miss to not do that.
Doom's actual mass looks far scarier than at first expected, and while we're not sure how much of this will eventually make it into the stores.
There are some great pieces here.
Clearly, the cast and crew had a lot of fun on this one.
Last month, Marvel Studios released four Avengers Dooms Day teaser trailers to tie into Avatar Fire and Ashes release.
A full trailer is expected to debut during the Super Bowl next weekend, meaning we'll likely
see more of doom then take a quick look at this here we go word there's some photos here of the comic
let's pull that up so there you can see what we've got um there's scott that looks like bucky right
there um there is u.s agent night crawler uh there is thing gambit guardian red guardian
Um, I think that's Scott Lang overdue. I can't really tell the head shape. It looks like
mystique. There's Loki. Yeah, the, the lighting makes it a little tricky to see everybody.
That looks like Thor. There's Sentry. Surey. Um, can't really tell who that is. Sam. There's
little Franklin. Yeah. So pretty cool looking. Pretty pretty pretty good. Um,
Yeah, doomsday is going to feature all these people.
And it's directed by the Russo Brothers, written by Stephen McFeeley.
So, Chris, you see that?
How geeked out?
Are you excited are you about this now?
Does this seeing those images, does it do anything for you to get the ideas percolating?
Like, what's going on when you see all that?
I'm such a bummer.
I don't, it doesn't really do anything for me.
Sorry, if you're excited about it, I love that for you guys.
but for me it's one of those things where
I don't need to see the actors in the comics
you know I love that we all can stand in for this
much in the same way of I really enjoy seeing different artists
interpret these characters so that there isn't always
a 100% uniform look to them
you know certain people draw characters a lot stockier
more life or you know with crazier hair or all kinds of things
so I think this is a really cool bit of
like promotional material
I think that's really, really rad.
I'm sure the actors who are in this are super stoked to be, you know, on such like an iconic cover with each other.
That's really, really great.
But for me, it's a, oh, that's neat.
It doesn't make me kind of get more juiced about the project.
Where are you at?
That's the thing.
I've said this a couple times.
I'm not saying I'm not excited about Doomsday, but it's not high up on my list.
Like, it's in my top 10, but I couldn't tell you where on that list it is.
like I'm more excited about Supergirl and Spider-Man.
And we're getting Clayface this year as well, right?
Yes, yeah.
Playface, the Odyssey.
Like, there's just a lot of other things that I'm more intrigued about this year.
That it's probably in my top 10, but not in my top five,
which is wild to say.
Because I don't think I would have ever said that about an Avengers film.
And a lot of that just has to do with the fact that, again,
we are still still dealing with you know is the MCU does it still have the juice like it we've been
kind of back and forth like I thought Wonder Man was fantastic I really really really liked Wonder Man
the projects last year though it was kind of hit or miss like did not like Brave New World
have talked about that multiple times loved Thunderbolts but you know it didn't do the
numbers that it was looking for so who knows if they keep that kind of style of storytelling
fantastic four was fine i i there was plenty of things that i liked about it uh having taken a step
back i'm not like rushing to go back to uh to watch the fantastic four again um born again
um i'm not very excited about season two not in that i'm not excited for but i'm not like man
i can't wait like again i'm more excited that the pits back and has been back
Like, you know what I'm saying?
I'm more excited to, you know, see other things like that.
So I will get there.
I don't know if I'll hit the peak heights of excitement.
But maybe I will.
Maybe once we start getting full trailers,
maybe once we get closer to it,
I'm going to be like the first one bouncing off the walls.
But it's, I just, there's something off.
And I think it's just because we haven't had a reliable product.
I think of the MCU the way I think of the Cowboys.
I'm like, there's a lot of potential here.
But I'm not going to get my hopes up right now because I've had my heart broken multiple times.
The only reason this metaphor doesn't work is the Cowboys have let me down for 30 years,
whereas the MCU has been fickle for like four or five.
So, so yeah.
Yeah, it's just the other Avengers films, this sounds so cheesy, but they felt earned.
There was this lovely buildup to them where we were crescendoing into those films.
So it was just this hell yeah.
I can't wait to go see all of my buddies, all of my buddies,
all of my heroes just go kicking ass.
And right now it's, I liked a couple of these things.
And oh, hey, I missed that guy.
Oh, that one was okay.
Sure, let's see what they'll do together.
Like, that's kind of where I'm at.
It feels like, it feels like a brunch that I agreed to go to when I was drinking.
And now I'm going, oh.
I could be in bed right now.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, which, this, I would still agree.
the Incredibles is still the best fantastic war movie and and I kind of have to agree with that.
I mean, syndrome really is Dr. Doom and who is pretty jealous of, you know, Mr. Incredible,
aka Reed.
I mean, they're not sharing the smarts there, but the idea of jealous of that whole kind of scenario.
The family with their powers, you know, instead of Dash being, you know, the human torch.
but that similar kind of thing
and you're just mixing stuff around a little bit
you know Violet having the invisible girl powers
This is incredible having Reed's powers essentially
But more or less it's the fantastic four
I think that that's a really good metaphor
And I was that is probably my favorite
At this particular point
But either way, let us know what you think
Are you seeing that promo art and you're like
Yep, let's go
I'm here for it man I cannot wait
Or are you also in the camp of just like
I'll be there when it comes out
but I don't, I'm in no rush.
Or are you even in a different camp?
And you're like, nah, bro, I want nothing to do with that at all.
I'm off it.
But just know what you think in the comments, man.
We want to know.
So before we go to the next story, I just want to go ahead and say we don't, today,
we actually do not have any sponsors, which is cool.
That means that we can just kind of hang more, talk more, all that good stuff.
But I just would like to say that we love all of your pretty faces.
And if you would like to support the show,
and specifically the swaggy,
feels we'll just stick with that uh by all means please continue to send in those super chats i see a number
of you have already shown support thank you so much uh again we're going up against uh 221 today um
and so far it looks like you guys are really trying to help us out here we're already at 39 and we're
only and we're only 22 minutes in so that there is a world where maybe this is possible if
if we keep it this clip it is certainly possible so please continue to do it um
And, and yes, C&C presents two filthy swags, two swaggery films.
Counts and cows.
It would make it sound like a philosopher.
Countesses and cows.
Countesses and cows.
There we go.
Oh, Lord.
All right, let's go to this next one, man.
Eternal's director, Chloe Zhao, explains why.
movie the movie simply wasn't high on Marvel's priority list.
All right, this is Mark Cassidy from comic book movie.
On the latest episode of the awards chatter podcast,
two-time Academy Award nominated Eternals director, Chloe Zhao,
who was nominated again this year for her work on Hamnet,
discussed her time on the divisive Marvel Studios epic.
Zhao has previously said that she was proud of her how Eternals turned out.
When asked about the critical and commercial reception,
the filmmaker admitted that the movie simply wasn't that high a priority for Marvel,
possibly suggesting that not quite enough time and effort was put to make the film the best it could be.
The terminals was not high on their priority list, she explained,
because it's quite a unique IP, and it was only on their list of potential players.
You know, with Marvel, it's very much a thing to find the right filmmaker before they say,
that's the IP we're going for.
Zhao also noted that Kevin Feige saw how passionate she was about the property,
trusted her to make the film, that literally no one in the way.
world was interested in in. In another recent interview revealed that she was in contention to
helm a different MCU movie before Lightning Eternals. I went in at first for Black Widow and then there
was a scheduling conflict and then when Nate Moore, my producer for Eternal showed me the treatment,
I went, oh wow, I get to have all these immortals like a Greek play to discuss humanity and then
I get to create monsters and space gods, right? It probably should have scared me. I don't know.
I tend to jump before I know how to swim. That's impressive. We've heard conflicting reports about
an Eternal sequel over the years, but at this stage, another movie revolving around the team of
Immortal Androids is looking less and less likely. Eternal's has its defenders, but it's
hardly surprising that Marvel isn't in any rush to revisit these characters.
Dow's 2021 film not only had the dubious honor of being the first Marvel Studios movie to drop
to rotten status on a review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, but also finishing up its U.S. run
with a disappointing 164.9 million
to give it one of the lowest domestic halls
of any MCU set film.
Tiamut did appear in Captain America,
Brave New World,
but the gigantic celestial was only used as a plot device
to introduce Adamantium to the MCU.
It's difficult to imagine Marvel completely disregarding
everything associated with Eternals,
but at the same time, we're not sure
which planned big or small screen projects
make sense to facilitate their return.
All right.
So, Chris, I got to ask the first question.
What were your thoughts on the Eternals?
Did you enjoy the movie or you weren't a fan?
I liked it.
I really enjoy the, okay, cool.
I like the idea of, hey, we need to discuss that this is not all black and white.
There are morally great aspects to this.
And what do we protect and what don't we and when do we have the right to step in?
And should we interfere with stuff?
Should we not?
Because we have power, should we be taking control?
And honestly, it's a lot of stuff.
that we have kind of on the back burner of the Superman movie that just came out of, you know,
what the House of L is trying to get Cal L to do potentially, go there and conquer this planet.
There's kind of that idea in the internals of, we're all more powerful than these people.
We're better than them. Don't we have the right to not only like get rid of these, these deviant entities,
but also to call the herd if we need to? And that is a very terrifying and complex question that I think
Marvel needs to address.
And I think it was just such a different film because it was a little bit more of a,
let's talk about the fuzzy lines and boundaries of superheroism that a lot of audiences
just went, eh, I don't, this isn't what I want.
I want heroes and I want bad guys and I want this.
I think the biggest glaring issue, though, is that we had that movie happen and then we kind
of almost suddenly Palpatine returns.
it, you know, where we just went, we're not going to worry about this movie.
We'll address the celestial at some point.
Don't worry.
Completely gone.
And the thing about it that's really interesting to me is the idea that, like, I think
the big question they asked was both, what do we do now that the Avengers are gone,
which was implying that they weren't kind of around, which I guess they sort of weren't,
but like, not necessarily.
hair like I don't ever remember a conversation of like all right guys we're done for good okay bye like
it just was like Tony died and Steve is retired but nobody ever said that like hey they're done
but then also correct me if I'm wrong I've seen the movie like two times
did they ever truly answer the question why they decided to not help with Thanos considering
Thanos is part deviant so like that is their mission is to stop deviant
So it didn't make sense to me that they didn't get involved in that personally.
I genuinely can't remember.
I feel like it was in a chat.
Let us know.
Correct us if that is not what happened in there.
But yeah, it feels like it went, and don't worry about that because that's not what we're here to do.
It, I think if I recall correctly, it was a, this is something that was outside our purview.
Yeah.
No.
Which doesn't make sense.
But it also doesn't make sense because Thanos literally wiped out half the universe.
And I guarantee that that's, you know, if they were there to kind of protect humans from
stuff, I just don't, I just find it wild.
That, I don't know, I feel like that's the only thing that they didn't really explain
why they kind of stayed out of it.
In MCU canon, do we note that Thanos is half?
I don't think so.
Okay.
And that might be, that might, that might have just been something to decide to leave alone.
Let me see.
Okay.
Devant.
Let's see.
So, yeah, I mean, he's, he's an eternal deviant hybrid.
I do remember that.
But, yeah, they never, but they don't, I don't think they ever said it in the MCU, like, explicitly.
The only thing that they did was have Star Fox show up in the post credit, which,
implies that's his brother. So that kind of implies that yes.
We acknowledge it one way or the other.
Yeah. But whatever. It's it's it was the only thing I would say is it I wish that there
had been a slightly better explanation as to why they did not get involved with the I could
understand not getting involved with Ultron or Loki or any of that. But the minute Thanos was
like.
I'm blown up the universe, bro.
There's no reason they wouldn't have, in my opinion, unless you gave us a reason, unless it was like, they were all in a, the minute the Infinity Stones were used, something in the programming, put them in a coma.
I don't know.
You get to come up with the silliest excuses.
According to Haskell 420 in the chat here, Erisham told them they weren't allowed to get involved in human events and that the deviant stuff is just comic.
so that that was kind of our get out of jail plot device here of that's a that's a people issue
what cool the the whole of the universe is blinked out like half of it and that's a human problem
i see hmm okay that now it took it from a movie that i really liked and now all of a sudden
i'm like just just hearing that i still think the overall building
of the movie is good, but that, I don't, I don't like that.
That kind of sucks.
Yeah.
But, you know, let us know what you think, guys.
Get back in those super chats, getting those comments.
Let us know if you understand kind of why they decided not to do this.
If you, if you like Kluja's reasoning, if you are now also an Eternals fan that is now
slightly turned off by it because the reasoning for not dealing with Thanos for the
Eternals is not clearly explained out.
It's a bad, it's a bad reason.
Let me know what you think in the,
comments, man. And let's get to our last little story here. So this one, for those that haven't
seen it, Wonder Man is out. It is fantastic. I cannot recommend it enough. The question is,
because we didn't really get an explanation about Wonder Man's powers, is he a mutants? This Josh
Wilding reporting and comic book movie. Wonder Man has generated heaps of speculation among MCU's fans,
particularly when it comes to the source of Simon Williams' powers. Unlike his
comic book counterpart, the version of Simon Williams
mysteriously gained his abilities age 13.
Baron Zemo didn't experiment on him.
There was no exposure that we know of to magical artifices or alien technology.
So could Simon be a mutant?
That's a prevailing theory and Wonder Man showrunner, Andrew Guest, has now chimed in.
You know, it's a very good question.
He said when the direct asked him outright if that's the case.
And it's one we discussed.
And it's one we decided we weren't going to answer.
So I'll leave it up to people who make those kind of
mutant questions. Guests later confirmed
that the answer is out there
and added that one of the things we wanted to do
is make sure that the powers for Simon
served his character. Despite stopping
short of confirming Simon's mutant
status, the Wonder Man writer further linked
to the Disney Plus series to the X-Men by revealing
that he had turned to the team's
big screen franchise for inspiration.
I look back at the first X-Men movie
and how those powers that
all those teenagers had felt so
psychological, guest
muse, they felt like it
was about all these life changes we go through and Simon felt like it was some part of him that
sort of happened to him as opposed to something that he was A excited about or B wanted to even get
to know. He doesn't have any curiosity about them. They're just really kind of a hindrance,
he continued. And that felt like it helped us tell the story we were trying to tell about Simon.
So I wanted to make sure we didn't do the first moment of seeing superpowers when he was a kid that we
might have done. Ultimately, where Simon's powers come from doesn't matter too much in the context
of the story being told. Having access to mutants allows Marvel Studios to avoid convoluted origin
stories where needed, and the actor being one of Zemo Science experiments because his brother
was defrauding the family business wouldn't have fit into the series at all. Plus, with the
reboot looming for the post-Secret War's MCU, it may not matter that much soon anyway. As for now,
Miss Marvel and Namor are the franchises only confirm mutants on the sacred timeline.
Wonderman follows the aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams,
who is struggling to get his career off the ground during a chance meeting with Trevor
Slattery, an actor whose roles may be well behind him.
Simon learns that legendary director Von Kovac is making the superhero film
Wonder Man, the two actors opposite into the careers, work together, blah, blah, blah.
All right. So, Chris, do you know the Wonder Man's like,
kind of original origin story and all that as far as his powers and whatnot?
Yeah, he basically got experimented on.
He also has this, which we see a little bit in the television show of this kind of fame-seeking
aspect to him, not in the same way as Simon we know now, but that one, you know, kind of
satiates that hunger by acting, by doing stunt work.
But yeah, he's a mutate, essentially.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
And that's a big thing.
And people, you know, convolut the two.
So Mutate, that is Spider-Man.
That is the Hulk.
That is someone who gained their powers through some kind of jolt to their genes,
some kind of experimentation.
Whereas Mutant, as we all know, is going to be, you know, the X-Men, Cyclops, Storm,
that sort of thing.
Which is also interesting because we were calling Captain America mutate for a while,
but then in the most recent what the AXE event, when like the world got judged,
we actually found out that Captain America is a mutant.
and not a mutate, which is wild.
But it still doesn't quite add up because even though he technically is now a mutant,
at the same time,
he still needed the Super Sorcero Soldier Serum to activate his X gene.
So it's kind of a, it could be a little convoluted at times.
But all that being said.
It's very deadpoolian of like, and now, no, I have powers.
Yes, yes, yes.
But all that being said, my first question to you would be,
do you like this kind of change of Wonder Man potentially being a mutant?
And overall, what were your thoughts on Wonder Man since, you know, it dropped this week.
We'll try and stay, or let's stay spoiler free.
But what were your thoughts on the movie?
I mean, the show.
Oh, my gosh.
I love this show so much.
I really had a great time.
There were so many moments, though, where it was the, I usually don't get that kind of
secondhand cringe.
But there were moments where I was just crawling out of my skin like, Simon, you got to stop.
You got to stop.
Dude, that whole first episode, I'm not.
I'm not, I won't ruin anything, but the opening sequence for him is him on a set doing the most.
Like, take it from two, like, working actors, everything he did was the exact wrong thing to do on a set for somebody that is in that particular role.
I won't say more so you can experience it yourself, but oh my God, I wanted to put my head through the TV every time he kept speaking.
I was actively yelling back where I just like, no, stop it, stop it.
Why is no one stopping him?
I was like, bro, you keep this up.
You were going to find yourself out on the street.
Shut the fuck.
Shut up.
Which it's also, it's always my least favorite type of actor.
I had this recently at a theater callback where it was, you know what you should do?
And I was like, you want to give me notes?
You want to give me notes?
I almost, there's somebody who is a friend of mine now when I first started playing dodgeball,
before I got to any sort of like serious level about it.
Like it was, it was just signed up for this adult rec league and whatever.
And a girl that was on my team did not come back to our team for the next season.
She went to another team that was really good.
And the first, I hadn't seen her now in like three months.
So the first thing she says, they were like, hey, how you doing?
And she goes, you know, the reason why you keep getting out is because you're doing this,
this and this.
I was like, oh, I don't even get a high.
You're going to give me a critique on a game that we're not even taking it.
Wow, I bet.
So I didn't F with her for a while.
It was only because my fiance ultimately became really good friends with her.
And so we reintroduced our friendship.
And then we talked about that and we're cool now.
But I told her, I was like, bro, do you know how quickly I was like, oh, I'm done with this person?
Because that's how you wanted to first say hi to me, was you.
you wanted to give me notes on dodgeball.
And again, it wasn't serious at that time.
It was, it was just the standard rec league shit.
It wasn't the tournaments I was going to and all that kind of shit.
So, when an actor does that, if I didn't ask you, I want to strangle you.
Oh, yeah.
We have a rule in our house of the, do you want a note or am I here to just be your reader?
You know, of, do you need me to do anything?
Do you want me to help you with an endorsement or do you want me to shut my mouth?
Yeah.
Cool.
So the show, like, and truly, y'all, if you do want to understand the industry, I do recommend watching this show.
Just so you, they do such a good job of explaining how this industry works and what actors go through and everything.
And it's just done really well.
I do like the idea of Simon being a mutant because it does kind of help answer that question as we are slowly getting ready to usher in the X-Men of where these mutants been?
Yeah.
What they've been up to?
And I like the idea of it being people who have terrifying powers who are so scared to go public, especially because of the Department of Damage Control, and seeing what they can do to you.
So I like this idea of there are so many powered people around the world who we don't know about who have been just trying to hide who they are.
And especially when you look at Simon's family too, being a child of immigrants and being in Los Angeles and just trying to like.
like trying his best to like fit in, but also not be noticed.
Right.
I think that is such a compelling look into the mutant identity, too.
I agree.
Because it's always been an allegory for being marginalized communities and everything.
And so I think that is such a great inn for starting to pepper in.
Yes, there are all these powered people around who do not have control of their powers,
who do not know what they're doing, who really wish this wasn't something that happened to them.
Because that's how he feels about it, right?
this is something that happened to me. I don't want this. It's not a gift. And then you get to have
that narrative of, you know, Charles Xavier coming in and saying, no, no, no, we can make this a
gift. We can use this for good. I think that's a really compelling start to that story.
Yeah, no, absolutely. And I think also what they do such a good job with, and that's why I think with
X-Men you normally, since the powers manifest as a teenager, and that's already an area where
you're just trying to figure out who you are. And you already realize that, like, God, I'm
already dealing with the bully for, you know, making fun of me because I wear glasses. I don't,
I don't need them to also be like, oh, you're a freak. Like, like, you're just trying to get by.
it always became compelling in that element
because that is around the time when we start to feel the differences
in ourselves as around that teenage years.
So again, the fact that his powers came out of 13,
I think that this is a good look.
But yeah, just it can kind of continue the Wonder Man conversation, man.
I think it's so interesting that like, as an actor,
I think the thing that was the most like, oh my,
my God was probably both the monologue in one of the auditions, the self-tape element and
then go to the self-tape studio, I was dying laughing.
Both of those moments, I was like, this is spot on.
I will tell you everybody for all the stuff we said about if you really want a good
look at what actors go through in the industry, the only thing that is inaccurate or
will get you blacklisted is deciding to pretend to be your own.
agent that i i i when i tell you i was my skin started crawling when he i was like no no don't do that
don't don't do that this is not friends you will not get away with it don't do that um that is not
okay that will go very very poorly um but everything else pretty spot on pretty pretty spot on and i and i
yeah no that's that's uh even even how
Simon has dealt with in that first episode for what he does on set.
How that was handled was also spot on.
Absolutely.
Oh, Ray Dominguez, I agree.
I clocked that so quickly when he started doing those,
when Simon started quoting a movie.
Oh, dude, I clocked it really fast.
Same.
I yelled, oh, no.
And Logan was like, do you think it's just because he took a weird turn in this improv?
And I was like, no.
No, I knew what it was.
I knew what it was as well.
And I was like, this is going to backfire.
It's going to be so bad.
You actually think that they don't know what you're doing.
I guarantee they're going to know.
Again, we're talking in very vague platitude so we don't spoil anything for you.
But there's definitely a moment where he is doing a bit and he should not be doing the bit and he gets called out for doing the bit.
It's not, it's not cute.
It's just like, ugh.
It's so uncomfortable.
So why is pretending to be an agent so bad?
Great question.
Would you like to be an agent so bad?
take this or should I? Oh, go for it. I'll chime in. Yeah, yeah, of course. So the main reason is
this entire industry, it can be a little ridiculous and corrupt at times, but this entire
industry is built off of like relationships, a lot of secrecy, NDAs, confidentiality,
connections, relationships, et cetera, et cetera. The idea of actually talking to whatever said,
casting director, director, producer, etc.
And trying to use fake credentials on something is such a big no-no because there are so many
people that are always trying to find a way to break into it.
The idea of trying to then use those said credentials to get what you want and finagle your
way into it, it's one of those things that if nobody ever catches you, similar to most
other things in life, it's like, okay, well, you got away with it.
But if they ever found out that you would like take in a CAA agent,
agent's email to send emails to a director to force yourself into a thing, you will instantly
be blacklisted.
Yeah.
It would be the same way that if you were, I don't know, it might be a little bit more internal
in that regard, but if you took the credentials of somebody within a company and then you use
that to try and finagle your way into a promotion or a job opportunity or anything else like that,
you would be frowned upon for corporate espionage and everything else like that as far as that goes.
now is that as serious is it no not necessarily because you would still have to audition for it you
would still have to whatever whatever but the idea of breaking that particular trust and how this
thing works you are asking for people to come run up and be like don't you ever hire simon
williams ever again like he is bad news um and that's one of the things that i think the show
does well every time he has a misstep i guarantee you probably have the same feeling chris i was
like oh that's probably it his career's over like that's that's
That's a wrap for that reason.
That first scene, I was like, uh-oh.
I was like, well, that director, that show, that casting director, that that's all like non-should
he's done with that.
Yes, yes, yes, this, it's stolen valor.
It's like stolen valor.
That is the best ding-dong.
That is perfect.
Perfect way to describe it.
Absolutely.
So anything else you would add, Chris?
I mean, yeah, it's fraudulent.
It's already putting you a place of.
distrust. And to be clear, too, actors submit without agents. That is a thing that happens.
Agents kind of act like that kind of gatekeeper. And if you want to be in the room where it happens,
the agent is the connection to these bigger auditions a lot of times. Sometimes you have big
open casting calls where people just self-submit. And that's how you get a lot of, you know,
unknown actors who show up in things or stuff like that. But to lie about that already puts you
in a place of serious distrust. And to have a really good.
great film set, you got to have good trust. I mean, you all know this in your jobs as well.
If you have a shady employee or a shady co-worker, that throws off everything. And if you're going to
do, you know, an 18-hour day with somebody who you can't be sure is telling the truth or you have
to do scenes where you really have to trust each other, whether it be stunt work, intimacy, emotional
work or things like that, it's just not a good safe environment for anyone. It's the same reason why when
you watch a rom-com and you end up in a scenario where they like lie about, you know,
a guy happens to be on the college campus because, you know, he was just dropping off a delivery
and he's in the professor's office and then the, you know, the love interest walks in.
They go, oh, oh, you're a professor so-and-so?
Yeah, I'm professor so-and-so.
Uh-huh, yep, yep.
And you start a whole relationship and they've had sex and they've done all this stuff to find out,
oh, you were the UPS guy, you lied about your credentials,
you lied about your backstory,
like you,
you have broken an insane amount of trust from the beginning of your relationship.
And so it's kind of that same idea of like,
lied about who you are,
you lied about your resume,
all that kind of stuff.
It's just not, it's not a good look.
So, all right, well, we're out of stories.
So why don't we do this?
Keep sending in the super chats.
I see more people are asking other industry-related questions.
I'll put it to you this way.
As much as I would love to just keep clicking on them,
we're trying to somehow catch 221.
So if you would like to know more about that kind of stuff
and would like to get that information out of Chris and I,
we are happy to answer every single one of those questions
because, again, Wonder Man did open up a like, I was like, yes, yes,
that is correct, that is correct.
the episode Dorman, which I loved.
I feel like that really got to the heart of a lot of things that happens for sure.
And like in a very compact episode, it was pretty wild.
So if you would, oh, Luke has sent us one more story.
Hold on.
I lied.
Oh, fantastic.
Oh, this will be a good one.
Oh, yeah.
Okay, hold on.
Let me pull it up.
All right.
Here is one more for you.
The Fantastic Four First Steps movie scrapped.
Steve Rogers post-credit scene reportedly revealed as Josh Wilding.
As excitement surrounding Avengers Doomsday builds,
the rumor mill continues churning out some bold claims about Marvel Studios' plans for its biggest movie yet.
Well, until Secret Wars comes along next year.
Shortly before the Fantastic Four First Steps was released,
we heard about plans for Chris Evans to make a cameo appearance in the movie.
We never did find out whether it was supposed to be.
be an Earth 828, Steve Rogers variant, or something Doomsday related until now.
According to the Hot Mike's John Roka, oh wow, who broke the news that Punisher and Hulk will
appear in Spider-Man brand new day months before it was made official, Evans was set to appear in a
post-credit scene as a Steve we saw in 2019's Avengers Endgame.
The Fantastic Four and Doom asked Steve Rogers to come with them to the MCU Earth 616 to help
them gained the hero's trust,
the Roka explained. This was supposedly
a post-credit scene in Fantastic Four that got removed.
It could still be a scene in the movie, though.
He went on to theorize, maybe initially
they're not enemies, maybe they're working
together because something Steve did caused
a problem in their world.
They're coming over supposedly to help
fix it, but then Doom betrays everyone and
backstaps them. Roka had
another Avengers Doom's Day scoop to share,
adding, according to my sources,
Doom has his own black order,
a group of witches and wizards working for him.
I don't know how faithful that is to the comics, but that's what this person told me.
So we're talking magic.
Scarlet Witch could be involved, maybe others.
Dr. Strange is very possible, too.
Jeff Schneider was also on hand to later back up recent reports that Captain America and Peggy Carter are on Earth 828,
possibly because Loki moved them there after the TVA pruned the timeline he created in Avengers End game.
We'll have to wait and see how this all pans out because with so many bits of intubes,
tell floating out there, it becomes increasingly
difficult to piece them together and makes sense of
what's planned for Avengers Doomsday as a whole.
It's also unclear whether these
post-credit scene,
this post-credit
scene with Steve was shot
on the set of the next Avengers
movie. As for why it was
replaced, we can only assume it was down
to that Dr. Doom T's being
necessary to at least
hinted the villain before his big debut.
Unlike Thanos, he hasn't made any cameo
appearances across different movies.
Um, all right. Wow. So, uh, you know, a member of the Christian Harlov show, uh, team, you know,
Roka breaking all this. Obviously, the two members of the Schmodan and Roka and Schneider over with a hot mic.
Um, so you hear that and what, what do you think, Chris? Like, do you think that that was something that
would have been good and that we were kind of missing from Fantastic Four? Are you good with like
the, the post credit we got instead? And then just as a whole with some of the stuff, I guess
Roka was saying is going on, you know, about Doom's Black Order and, you know, maybe Steve
was actually initially helping them. Like, what do you think hearing about all that?
You know, I do like the post-credit scene we got mostly because it was just so connected, right?
It was, hey, here's the film that came before. Here's just tying this in. There is this image.
I enjoy how this kind of panned out. I, oh, excuse me, I'm thinking what they did.
with uh which made at all new avengers leading into fantastic four and everything um but but still i
i think again i don't mean to be negative you guys i really don't i like to be happy and positive
about stuff but i also am kind of in a place where i'm a little over the the post credits because of
the okay there's something neat at the end of this movie idea of it and then are you going to
fulfill the promise of it while i like the idea of all this stuff with steve rogers i think
saving him for the film makes more sense.
But that's also because right now I feel I am in a place to not trust or love anything
that happens in a post-credit scene.
Yeah, especially when they haven't manifested.
I think the biggest, there's a few that haven't done that, but I think the biggest one
is Blade, like above all else.
Like the, you know, are you ready?
and like whatever he says to Kit Harrington's character,
that that's nothing is coming of that whatsoever.
You know, there's still room for, you know,
Clea to, you know, be with Dr. Strange
because they're going off to fix an incursion.
And that's fine because, you know,
we're about to deal with incursions left and right.
So that can manifest one way or the other.
But I'm trying to think of all the post credits
that have come out at this point.
that like i wonder if there's a list of them uh mc u post credit scenes that went nowhere wow yeah
no this is something that people have been talking about um so i guess the initial dr strange
um with uh what's his name a tutua alt of war's character uh morto we never got anything
with that uh we never did anything with uh the scorpion and homecoming though it sounds like
coming soon.
We never did anything with, I guess, the Grandmaster from Ragnarok.
We never did anything with Agent 13 as the broker at the end of Falcon and Winter
Soldier.
We never did anything with Shung Chi's ending about his 10 rings and how that's affecting
the universe, though I think that that's probably coming soon.
Yeah.
We never did anything with his sister taking over the 10 Rings organization.
Didn't do anything with Star Fox or whatever the second post credit, I guess, was in the
turn oh the blade thing um no way home we haven't done anything with the symbiate yet uh moon night i
don't remember what it's post credit is but we didn't do anything with that again clea from multivores
madis i'm going to address that thorloving thunder haven't addressed hercules she-hulk attorney at law
haven't addressed um uh what's his name uh Wong and Blanski uh haven't done anything with
tessaint yet though that seems like it's coming haven't done anything with all of the kangs uh and we're
have to explain that at the end of quantum mania.
Guardians three.
I don't remember what was going on with those post credits.
Was that when we had like the new lineup of Guardians where it was like rocket and group with the new folks?
Yeah, which again, I think is fine.
You know, it's whatever.
We close that chapter.
So I don't think it's a big deal.
And then, you know, we just haven't gotten there yet.
But it sounds like we're getting there in that we haven't done anything with the Marvels where we saw Beast and binary and all that kind of stuff.
So, but again, that seems like that's impending in like two seconds.
So, yeah.
So yeah, there's a lot that has not been addressed yet.
So I can also understand you being like, I don't care.
I don't care.
Like we have a lot to just cover in general.
So stop giving me post credits that mean nothing, which Luke says the Venom symbiate.
I'm honestly confused if the symbiate is still in the MCU because on the beginning of Venom 3,
it seemed like they got that symbia.
Okay, so the answer to that was it's not that the entire symbia got left.
It's that a tiny little piece got snipped off of that symbiate and it still exists in this world.
Just a little baby be it.
So, but it can, you know, it's venom.
It can regenerate itself.
It'll, it'll do that at some point or another.
So yeah, there is a lot that we have not addressed in those post credits.
So that's fine.
I think you gave us one that it most derives.
directly affects something that's coming in that you yeah okay doom exists and he's got franklin
yeah i don't think you'd really needed to do i think introducing steve even if you were on this
path would have just been a lot and i just don't think it was necessary i think that was a smart
cut unless there's unless you're like we actually had a 15 minute mini movie that was coming
see if it was something like that that would have been rad but if it was just you know uh
one of these days one of these days i hope
that that's what a post credit is is it's not actually just a scene it's a post credit like short
that would be dope i would i would be so here for that where they're like actually and then you're
just like oh my god like that that would be here for that that would be like a really rad new way
to kind of go about things so i one of these days i hope somebody takes you know one of my ideas i i got
i got some stuff you know rolling around in my head man get kevin fight you on the whole
Yeah, exactly.
You got his phone number?
Let me just grab that.
Quick, pretend to be my agent.
And then call fucking real quick.
Hello, Kevin.
Oh, my God.
I'm so excited.
Winston, he has so many ideas.
He's so many ideas.
And he is what is missing from the Marvel universe right now.
So let's get to it.
It would be great.
Also, Chris Ka, what are we thinking about her for Squirrel Girl and Jeff
the Shack?
I feel like she could play both.
at the same time.
At the same time.
Do you saw Michael B. Jordan and Sinus?
You think that she can't do that with itself?
She'd be so good.
Man, more people should compare me to Michael B. Jordan.
Yep, yep.
Two filthy blurts.
There you go.
There you go.
Oh, my God.
Well, before we get to the super chats,
which thank you so much for everything that's coming in.
We're at 63, guys.
This is really good.
221 is a tall order, but we can definitely get there, keep sending them in.
Chris, tell everybody what's you got going on.
Oh, well, this week for two full the casuals, we are taking the week off to stand in solidarity
with folks who are doing the nationwide strike today.
So in lieu of, you know, checking out our Patreon or checking out our episodes,
I would love for you guys to go donate to the Immigrant Defense Fund.
That'd be really amazing.
Next week, if you want to support a small business, you can support mine.
I've got a new intro to VO class coming up.
That starts February 3rd.
I've got seven spots open in that.
That's going to be on February 3rd for four weeks every Tuesday, I believe that is,
4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Standard Time if you want to learn about voiceover.
But otherwise, just, you know, what I have going on is making sure all my neighbors are good and safe.
And I hope you are too.
That's what's up.
That's what's up.
And as for me, you can find me at the Swaggy Blurred here on YouTube and all other channels.
I've got, let's see, spill of tequila with Rokon.
Tuesdays, Blurred's in the Hood.
Wednesday is our live show 6 p.m. Pacific, but then Mondays and Fridays, you've got
our pre-taped stuff, the around the neighborhood, Jay and I responding to all sorts of
viral videos are on Mondays, and then Fridays are our Reddit stories.
It's been a good time.
It's been kind of crazy.
We've also got a marathon stream coming up on, what day did we say?
The 15th of February, so the day after Valentine's Day.
So after you're done, either, you know, getting it on, or.
you know, living with the lonely heart.
You can come and hang out with us.
We're going to be there.
We are raising money to try and really up our production value.
So we would love for you to come and hang with us.
We'll be there all of the 15th, probably a 10 to 10 type scenario.
So come and hang out.
Yeah.
And then I've got some stuff on my channel that's popping off.
Because I'm alone this weekend, that gives me.
me plenty of time to finally catch up. I've been dealing with a lot of like family health issues
and things like that. So I owe a lot of videos for my channel. So I'm excited to be able to get those
done and get those out there as well. So check all of that out. Let's do it though, Chris. Let's
start getting into these super chats. Again, we are sitting at 65 right now. We need to get to
221. And we have an hour to do it. So again, whatever y'all want to talk about, man.
you want to talk about any of the stories that we were doing.
If you want to know more about the industry,
you know, Wonder Man was a great conduit for that to talk about that.
If you want a goon since apparently, again,
that's why Mike ended up with 221.
And talk about porn stars again, whatever you want to do,
get us up in those super chats and let's get it going.
We got some new members.
Ryan Jabney, thank you so much.
Kayla Nolan, thank you so much.
Pat for president, won.
Let's get that sport train going.
You damn right, Pat.
Thank you so much.
Another new member as well from Jacob McCartle, 3104.
Thank you so much.
Then we got some super stickers, Pat for President,
coming in with them super stickers.
Hell yeah.
Another new member, Garty 3.
Thank you so much.
And then Pat for President as well.
Oh, all these new members.
This is a good moment to plug something here with Christian.
So we didn't shoot Saving Private Ryan yet.
That was something I was going to be doing with Christian.
it's still coming in the pipeline.
What we actually decided to do,
based off of suggestion from other people,
we did want to finish Demon Slayer.
It was just costing Christian a little bit too much money
just because it wasn't doing the numbers
that it kind of needed to do to balance everything out.
So somebody suggested, oh, what if that became like a members only
or a Patreon exclusive?
And so that's what we're doing.
We are starting season three of Demon Slayer.
Anybody that is a member or patron,
you'll be able to have access to that.
So if you want to see us go on that journey,
which, you know, the start of season three,
or season three is the,
the Sword Smith Village arc.
And so far, I'm already like, oh, damn.
On top of the fact that I think I found my favorite demon slayer, bro,
I do not remember her name.
I just know that she's gifted.
That's the only thing that I know if you catch my drift, Chris.
The one.
Oh, the love, Hachira?
Yes.
Bro.
I love her.
She is definitely.
gift. She is armed and dangerous.
I love you.
I love you for loving her. That's perfect.
Bro, she is, she's so thick.
Oh, my God.
Kenjori, is that her name?
Maybe.
Let me, hold on. Let me see, let me see.
Love Hashira name.
Let's see.
Yep, Kenroji.
Mitsuri, Mitsuri, Khanroji.
Um, yeah, no, haven't had a chance to see what she can do yet.
Um, no way, her technique is actually love breathing.
Yes.
Oh my God.
Okay.
Well, I am very excited to see what she could do.
She also, like, in, in one of my favorite anime tropes, like, is insatiably hungry.
And so she is always just like, wrecking plates of food.
Oh, I adore her.
Yeah.
The fact that you are, are vibing with her.
Excellent taste.
Absolutely.
Which it also looks like Luke has a brilliant idea for any of the anime heads that are in here.
There is a high probability if enough people join the Patreon and or the memberships.
And specifically in regards to the anime, that we could convince Christian to do more anime reactions.
They would probably be like those Patreon member exclusives.
But obviously, when you do that, you don't have to.
to pay for the editing. It's just here's the video and here is our reaction to it. So you can get
the full unedited whatever. Now, it would have to be a number of people that end up joining and
watching those and whatnot. I don't know if there's like ways to leave comments about why you're
doing it and things like that. But I think that would be dope because I've wanted to get him to watch
Jujutsu Kaysen and Dondadon because I think he would actually really love both of them.
I'm in the middle of a rewatch of Jiu Jitsu Kaysen right now because I've tried to remember everything
watching season three and I was like, I don't remember half of this shit.
So I went back and watched it.
I just forgot how fuck up the Shibuya incident was.
Like, oh my God.
Like, you've seen it, right?
You told me, you asked me if you needed to keep going.
Yeah, because I'm three episodes in.
We have to catch back up because then we were like, oh, we got a binge Wonder Man,
and now we've got Bridgerton and we were catching up on Fallout.
I need you to do it because imagine, the only way I could describe the Shibuya incident
I'm trying to think of something else that have,
think very like,
attack on Titan or almost red wedding happening
episode after episode after episode in the second season
where you're just like, oh my, oh my God,
what? No, not that person. Jesus Christ.
Like, it is, like, is anybody going to live through this?
Like, it's, it is really, really, really, really good.
I got, I got to hang in there. Oh, if you haven't seen it,
because I just saw this got added to Disney Plus, and I got so,
excited because it's one of my favorites. Did you ever watch Erased? No, I did not.
Time, travel, murder mystery. Only one season, one and done. Okay. All right. It's so good.
Erased. I will write that down right now. All right, we're up to 69.
Super Chat, let's keep it. Just keep it. I love that you're Deviant just like me.
See you next Tuesdays and cows, am I right?
sticker from President Pat.
Joshua Gonzalez,
today's my birthday.
Happy birthday, Joshua.
Just wanted to thank everyone on the channel for this amazing show.
Thank all the friends I've made through the chat and the Discord.
That's awesome.
Thank you so, so much for that lovely super chat.
Glad you're out here making all the friends.
Sending you much love, man.
Happy birthday.
How old are you today, Joshua?
Hey, Mr. CJ, I wish I knew.
That's what's up.
Corn Emperor.
Support for the Filthy Blurred.
national protest that's what's up uh yeah it's funny because chris and i were talking about it
we're like do we do we ask for the day off do we do a show um we were like even worried about like
doing sponsors because we didn't want to but but then at the same time we're like you know what
we'll we'll we'll find a way to do it and then we got here and they're like oh no sponsors today
and i said oh okay well then we don't which works great and now we get to keep you company if
you did decide to stay home from work so hopefully oh this is a fun distraction exactly exactly
Pat for president, anyone got dank memes?
Oh, I have plenty, but I got yelled at for saying the cooters and cowl.
So I'm not going to, I'm not going to, I'm not scared of those today.
Wait, Cooters and cows are so good.
Couters and cows are pretty good.
So maybe, maybe, you know what, come see me over on Blurge.
Jay and I cuss a lot if you want the bank memes.
As a matter of fact, the around the neighborhoods are full of them.
So as a matter of fact, did you see the video of a construction crew was working on a skyscraper,
near a bridge and the giant crane accidentally dropped a porta potty onto the highway.
And it just, just, I was like, I pray to God, nobody's in there.
But you instantly just see the porta potty hit the ground and cover a bunch of cars.
Oh, no.
It's pretty bad.
It's pretty bad.
Oh, man, it's bad.
I will look this up.
But Yoshimitsu says Winston and Chris are the best.
You're the best, Yoshi Mitsu.
Ray Dominguez, support for this crew.
Thank you so, so much.
Appreciate that.
Pat for president, I hope Logan feels better soon.
Dude, I hope he does too.
Just as a perfect actor on cue, he coughed from the other room.
Like a sweet Dickensian child with the black lung.
Oh, oh, my heart.
Just a, I think I have the black lung.
Oh, dude, but no, but real talk, though.
The illnesses that are floating around this year are rough.
It is no joke.
Mm-mm.
Mm-mm.
Because it's what?
You got the vid.
You got RSV.
You got the flu.
You got some other, you got the standard common cold, but then there's like some
other virus that's going around that's similar to the flu, but it hits a little, it hits
closer to like COVID, but it's not COVID.
Like, it's just, ooh, everybody stays safe and drink your horseshoes.
I just, goddamn.
Yeah. Rebecca Black, it's Friday, Friday.
Yeah, it's going on, and I'm Friday.
Where are you going to sit? You're in the front seat or the backseat?
Front seat. I'm a passenger princess.
We've talked about this. I don't want to drive anywhere. I want to be driven.
Yes, no, that checks out. I'm glad you said front seat because I was like, I ain't driving you, Miss Daisy.
You get out of my face. What the hell are you talking about? What do you think this is?
unless I'm getting an Oscar.
Mm-mm.
Mm-mm.
Support for the crew from Pat.
Again, thank you so much.
Michael coming in with the support.
Thank you so much.
Rade Amiga Mingis coming back with the question.
How good was Wonder Man?
And is the binge jump model a better fit for some projects
and weekly better for others?
That is a great question.
I'll let you take it first, Chris.
How good is Wonder Man?
That is so good.
You get my little Italian chef hands.
I really like it. Now, do I also like this because of my own life experience? Probably. So for some people, this might be a little too inside baseball about the industry. Like, if you're somebody who the studio doesn't really matter to you, maybe this show isn't for you. I do think the binge model really works for this, though. And that was something as I was watching it or I went, oh, I get it. Like after that first episode, I really wanted to just jump into the second one. They did such a great job of making you just hungry for what was to come. And having it be these 30 minute episodes,
did lead into the, oh good, I have another one.
Oh, good, I have another one.
Oh, great.
Even my old lady asked, y'all know I go to bed at like 8 p.m.
Like a geriatric.
I stayed up till 10.30.
I was crazy.
It was a party at my place.
I took an edible and was like, let's go, Simon.
So I highly recommend this show.
I think it's really, really wonderful.
I think it's what Marvel does best and it's character first, mask second.
So really, really looking at somebody being powered and
having other interests than being a powered individual and how to affects their life,
I think it's really worth a watch. And low stakes, you guys, again, eight episodes, 30 minutes
each, you're in, you're out. Absolutely. You're looking at a four-hour little romp,
which isn't bad. I definitely think that it is a case-by-case basis. I have a tendency to not
love here, here's all of it. I think I would have honestly been fine with
though I believe episode four was Dorman
and that would have been a weird cutoff to be honest with you.
But I like the I like the four,
the idea of like here, here's half, here's half,
here's like 3-3, something like that.
If you really want to do that kind of binge model,
my problem with here's all of it,
we're not going to be talking about Wonder Man
beyond pretty much this week.
Like until the character shows up again somewhere else,
that that's it.
And that is where I don't love it.
I know we're in a world where that, you know, the news is constantly changing all the time.
But I like the idea of being able to sit with, like, the fact that we already do not give two Fs about stranger things.
Like, part of the reason why, honestly, I think the pit and severance and all that did so well is because we did get it week after week again.
And you had some time to kind of sit with it and everything else.
The reason why Sinners is cleaning up the way that it is as far as all these nominations.
and everything else is because Sinners was on the forefront of everybody's mind for at least
two months and then kept coming back up in other forms and fashions all all over the place.
Those movies or TV shows that don't, that are short-lived are the ones that really don't
end up holding any weight outside of that immediate time.
So I prefer the weekly endeavor, but if you're going to give it to me in a binge model,
then give it to me in chunks.
That's my personal thought.
process. My only hold out here is I think because in theory, at least for a lot of my friends,
this is a hard sell show. Sure. And so this is one that I think that over time and especially with
like the reception of it that I can do a, not Mia, you definitely need to check this out. I think
you're really going to like it. No, you don't have to do any homework. You don't have to know anything.
Yeah. And like I know my dad like yesterday was like, hey, is that Wonder Man show good? Should I watch it?
So there's this slow momentum that I'm hoping will happen. And because all the episodes are out, I hope that
people do the, I should give it a chance, I guess.
Oh, God, Chris, I don't want to do this, but we're going to take a quick side.
Catherine O'Hara, unfortunately, has passed at 71.
Yeah, y'all know her from everything from Schitt's Creek and Home Alone.
And most recently, the studio, TMZ says that she has passed.
cause of death is unclear
but yeah
what beetle juice
you know
so much stuff
here let me
keep reading and see if there's anything else here
she won an Emmy
for her work in Shitt's Creek in 2020
followed her first
Emmy win way back in 1982
for her writing contributions to the sketch comedy TV series
SCTV Network 90
she was born and raised in Toronto as the sixth of seven children and she met her husband
production designer Bo Welsh on the set of 1988's Beetlejuice they got hitched in 92 and had two
sons Matthew and Luke the last time one of our the photographers for TMZR was at LAX in
February of 2024 when we asked her what role she would be most remembered for
she was 71 oh my god I'm I am absolutely heart
heartbroken to hear that news, man.
She is one of the most talented actresses I've ever seen.
And truthfully, like, having the resurgence with Schitt's Creek and everything else,
I just, that is absolutely devastating.
Man, that is.
Y'all, if you have not seen her in all of those Christopher guest films, you are missing out.
She is a comedy titan and, oof.
Oh, that's a hard one.
That's a blow.
That is definitely a blow.
I'm definitely going to be watching the episode of Schitt's Creek where she's doing the wine, the wine commercial.
Oh, yes.
The fruit line.
Yeah, the her pettigers.
That in the folding in the cheese, man.
Oh, my God.
Oh, God.
I don't know, David.
You just fold it.
Just followed it in to have had.
God damn it, man.
Yeah.
All right.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I don't, normally I save that for spill the tequila and I don't have any alcohol in here right now.
I'm gonna pour one out with some Celsius for, uh.
I got another day of dry you area.
Yeah, well, it's just, it's just Celsius, but I will, you know, this is, this is for, for Catherine O'Hara, man, damn.
Oh my God.
That is, that is rough.
All right, let's get back to the whole first one back, fart.
Honestly, she'd like she said that.
She liked it.
I feel like she said that.
I feel like she said that.
I have to believe that she did.
Oh, my God.
Yoshimitsu.
I would love to see Ramey and Toby in intro Miles Morales and bring him over the main universe
when the Spider-Man inevitably reunited Secret Wars.
Interesting.
My only reason why I don't know if that would happen is because we already got Uncle Aaron in the form of Donald Glover and Homecoming.
So I don't, that's the only reason why I don't think that that would be the path that they would go.
It's possible they still could, but I think that they'll probably go a more direct route to Tom.
And especially if he's in a state now where like he doesn't have any of his friends because of the end of No Way Home, that maybe he kind of gets introduced at the, you know, the end of this movie or maybe he's like,
mentoring some neighborhood kid and then ultimately finds out, you know, the kid also got Spider-Prior.
We'll see.
But I think that that's probably where they're going to go.
Yeah.
Have a president.
Scores in the Ramey Spider-Man movies are unmatched.
They're pretty damn good.
They are pretty pretty good.
Corn Emperor.
Winston, y'all got to get Chris on spill the tequila.
Yeah?
I mean, you come through.
Certainly can.
I would love to have you.
I'll let Roka know.
It would be fun to have you come join us for an episode.
owner two. Yay.
Half a president, I don't understand how the C word is not okay in the USA.
Oh.
You as well.
Me as well.
The only thing that I would ever, like, I will say this, because I am aware before
this whole rush of British TV, previously the only word that I would really say would
be thunder, like, just because like that for some reason is just extra funny.
Yeah.
But yeah, no, it is what it is.
Zekinumano glue.
Palpatine.
Support.
Love you guys from Australia.
That's what's up.
Thank you, sir.
Pat for president, must be the Brit blood and progressive humor in me.
Fair.
And then Palpatine has also become a member.
Dope.
Dope.
I'm going to call it.
Yeah.
You're just going to be Palpatine for right now because that really hurt my brain to try and say.
but we appreciate you becoming a member.
We appreciate the support.
Arwin Evanstar, Saperth.
Thank you so much for the Saperth.
I appreciate that.
Pat, for president again, anyone seen Falcom Hall?
Yes, it's actually one of my top movies of 25.
It was fantastic.
Have you seen it?
No, it's insane to me that we haven't seen it.
We were supposed to, and then our schedules got too crazy.
So we're going to rent it on Apple.
Should we just buy it?
Yeah, you should just buy it.
Dude, I, I, um, do you do AMC screen unseen?
I usually don't because I teach usually on Monday nights.
Dude, if, oh, damn, if you, if there's any way to move around your schedule,
you should definitely find a way to do that because that has been one of my,
the greatest things that I discovered last year.
Because it also, both A, like one of my reviews that's coming out is for,
good luck have fun don't die which is not due for another couple of weeks to release in theaters
fantastic movie that was the screen that was the screen unseen this this week um in the past i saw
christie like two or three weeks before it came out um a lot of times you see a movie that's coming
out that week so like uh but a lot of movies that don't that you get some mega movies most
of them that aren't going to get a lot of shine uh the way that like a major blockbuster might get um
And I saw some awesome.
And Falcum Hall was one of them.
It was so funny.
Like literally take your airplanes, your scary movies.
It's up there.
It is up there with that level of hilarity.
And it's set in kind of a Bridgeton kind of tone.
I was dying laughing at that movie.
So highly, highly recommend it.
Okay.
Pat for president comes back in again.
Anyone watch long plays of video games?
I was watching the PlayStation 1, Spend,
Spider-Man games.
Ooh.
Long plays, as in like watching people play it?
I watch game grumps.
I enjoy them.
I think, I think Aaron and Danny are really funny.
Yeah.
And they play silly games, but that's usually the only one I watch.
Fair.
I used to stream for a bit.
I will probably be back on that.
I've been playing a lot of Fallout 4 and I was like,
nobody's interested in me taking a thousand tin cans,
like, you know, slow walking it back to my base.
So, but I just,
They just released Final Fantasy 7, the remakes on Xbox.
And I had started to play it on PlayStation before my PlayStation got hacked.
Now I don't F with PlayStation at all anymore because that was a whole ordeal.
But I'm going to start over with Final Fantasy 7, so I'll probably stream that.
So if you guys want to come to support me, I'll be doing that on my Twitch.
It's also the Swaggy Blurt.
So that'll be fun.
That's awesome.
Oh, I should shout out.
I never get to watch his streams anymore because they're usually while I'm working,
aka Nook, the wonderful, incredible Scott, who is the editor for Cinematary
for Cinnamon Toast Ken.
He has incredible streams.
He also has great Zelda videos.
He was on our podcast talking about Zelda.
And today is his birthday.
So go sign up to watch him on Twitch,
aka Nook, N-O-O-K.
It might be Nook and Cranny Gaming.
I know that's his YouTube.
But yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
I also just wanted to point out,
somebody said that that Doorman episode,
did you ever watch the show Atlanta?
Yeah.
It felt like an Atlanta episode, to be honest,
which is kind of hilarious.
and that's actually exactly what it would be.
It reminded me of the, like, the, in the final season, the goofy episode where they're doing the documentary of why the goofy movie happened.
Oh, God.
I love that show so much.
It's so good.
Right?
Yoshimitsu, Wonder Man is great.
More Simon and Trevor, please.
I agree.
I agree.
We are at 80.
We're getting closer and closer to a Honda.
We're trying to get to 222 to win.
Keep it coming, y'all.
Thank you.
Hey, Mr. CJ, did a cosplay photo shoot with a model dressed as the shadow.
So my question to you is, which of the noir characters would you like to see back?
Dracey, Rocketeer, the Phantom, or the Shadow?
Hmm.
I mean, I actually know the Shadow.
I love Dick Tracy.
I mean, this is so stupid.
One of the reasons why we got Apple Watches is because of the walkie-talkie future.
And Logan and I feel like Dick Tracy characters.
But man, do I love the Rocketeer?
The Shadow, wasn't that?
Alex Baldwin.
Oh, okay, that's right.
I started to think of Darkman, which was Liam Neeson.
I'll be honest.
The Rocketeer's the only one that I can kind of remember.
Like, I've heard all of those names.
Like I know, and I remember the Phantom.
But I don't remember what they do, who their villains are, their powers.
I just never got super into a lot of those characters.
So I've heard the names, but I don't know.
Oh, hi, hi, puppy.
She has been in a pouty,
howdy mood like both her mom being gone and she's getting regulated on her food she's ready
to fight me um corn emperor everyone should watch wonder man tis good agreed um pat for president

to the working actor absolutely and a thousand percent is um corn emperor
I don't have money, but how much to sponsor, to be fair?
To be fair.
To be fair.
I don't know.
Like us personally?
Yeah, I'm not sure I understand the question.
Yeah.
Sorry.
My rent plus utilities is $2,900.
So if you'd like to send that, you will not get anything in return,
except for these lovely jokes.
I'll be Obama for a day if you want to try and get out of, like, paying a tax.
Corn Emperor is not paying his taxes.
He's done.
He's not doing that.
So say me.
I know I'm not acting president, but we're just going to, I'll make a call.
My rent 1350.
If you want me to just make a bunch of calls of the president for you,
I can do that for 1350.
And by 1350, I mean $1,350.
Don't think I've been $13.50.
That's not.
Let's get that straight.
Pat for president.
Andy Mackey does amazing the MCU.
He just gets the crap end of the stick sometimes.
Yeah.
I mean, again, you know,
them pulling his character from the campus.
It's kind of wild.
As they say, it ain't over until the singing.
starts. Pat for president coming in with so much support, man. I really appreciate that.
And I'm not singing Rebecca Backs' meme song.
Oh, man. Ryan's
40-50, have you seen the TMNT Raphael test footage on YouTube by John Likens? Interested
in your reaction, given your love for the 1990 movie? No, I did not see this.
Dude. Okay. They're like all a year apart, but he's got Leonardo, Donatello. Donatello.
and now this rough one that came out.
I watched this this morning.
It is so cool.
It is excellent fight choreography.
This dude did just such a great job creating this.
It's stellar.
Amazing.
I am definitely going to have to go and watch this after we're all done.
That's fantastic.
All right.
Fed.
Thank you for putting me on game.
Ryan's appreciate you.
Dennis F. Hoffman, Wonder Man is wonderful.
Daniel Destin is such a force.
he is and I will tell you that much.
It further pushed,
I am more excited about Spider-Man than I am Doomsday.
Because knowing that he's behind Spider-Man
and now that's two-for-two in
Shang-chi and now this, I am so
here for it, man.
So yeah. Pat for President,
and support y'all 3,000.
Aw. Support you, 2002.
Thanks, buddy.
Appreciate you.
KJ. 7457.
Are you excited about the Netflix Avatar Season 2,
or do you feel that it can't compare
to the original cartoon series?
The cartoon is way superior.
I actually never saw the live action, did you?
I did.
And I like some of the things they did.
I think we, without spoiling anything,
I think we just rushed some Zucco stuff.
And it's its own entity.
I'm trying to view it as that.
The cartoon, though, is so good.
It is.
My biggest brag is that I have a,
not biggest brag,
that's about to sound really lame.
But one of my brags is that I have a steel book from Nickelodeon of the entire series.
And it's so beautiful.
It's one of the prettiest things I have.
I love that show so much.
Dude, it's a great show.
It's a great, great show.
Thall Yankee.
Eternal's unapologous here.
I think Star Fox would address Thanos and the sequel per mid-credit scene.
Probably.
I mean, that's fair.
But I guess in terms of it was the thing.
it just happened and we just got introduced to you,
I feel like they should have probably like said that in this movie.
You also was almost a three-hour movie.
You could have found time to do that, I think, but that's what is me.
KJ 74-57, what are your favorite shows that you love to watch with your significant others?
Ooh.
Chris, go for it.
Oh, man.
Well, right now, shrinking's back, and that's a big one for us.
We really, really love that one.
We usually pick an anime to watch together.
My Hero Academia was a big one for us.
I introduced him to Samurai Champlu.
I'm trying to think of the other things, though, that,
because I think every couple has this,
the you cannot watch this without me.
That's cheating.
And so we just have too many of those now
of like Fallout and about to be Bridgeton,
which Logan was very recalcant to watch
where he was like, okay, yeah,
let's watch your like corset Ripper show.
He was like, wait, this is really compelling.
Wow.
Okay.
What are y'all?
Our main one is the 9-1-1 series.
So 9-1-1, Lone Starro is still on Nashville now, which is not good, but we still watch it.
We were that way with a lot of the trash reality stuff.
So like, love is blind.
Love is blind, yeah.
And I still can't believe they canceled the ultimatum queer love because that show was
the biggest mess possible, and it was fantastic television because of it.
Like, Chris, did you ever watch it?
No.
Okay.
So the ultimatum is also a mess, but.
Yeah, I haven't watched either version.
Okay.
But the queer love one specifically, both times it was all ladies.
And in the second season, there's the premise for those that don't know, it's a couple,
uh, essentially somebody in the couple is given an ultimatum to their partner of like,
either we're getting married or we're breaking up.
I'm done with this.
And so in doing so it's all these couples come together.
They essentially temporarily break up and they go, like, date the other single people that are there.
And then you partner off with somebody new and do a trial marriage for about like a month.
And then you go back to your original partner and do a trial marriage.
And then you have to decide, am I going to be with my original person?
Are we going to get married?
Am I going to go off with this other person I did a trial marriage with here?
Or am I just going to be single and I'm done with everything, right?
So always so much interesting
Like the original like straight version is good
But the queer love version
Because of how intense this gets
Is so messy
One of the couples in the second season
She was like
One of the girls was like, yeah, you know
My girl and I
Like we've been planning to get this tattoo
Together for years like a matching tattoo
When she goes on the trial marriage with another woman
She gets the exact tattoo
that they designed together with this new woman and not the person she came there with.
And it's within like a couple of days of them going to get trial married.
And so then has to try to explain.
It is so messy.
But it is hilarious, man.
So a lot of trash reality TV, the 911s.
And then I think other than that, we do like a lot of like cooking reality shows together.
So like next level chef, hell's kitchen, stuff like that.
Yeah. Do you watch Tournament of Champions?
Kristen does. I've seen a few episodes, and I do like it, but she's really into it,
because I don't know most of those chefs, so it doesn't do anything for me.
I prefer the kind of fledgling chef that's trying to get to the, to the promised land.
So the one where one of the next level chefs was a contestant, I was very invested until she was done.
But, but yeah, I just watch so much difference.
I watch so much anime. She's not really in anime.
She said,
Y'all, give me some advice, because I've been trying to think of this.
She's asked, hey, I would like to know, I would like to watch an anime with you.
I don't know what to introduce her to.
So think of, like, the most average white American woman that's not into nerdy stuff like that.
Watch which anime would you kind of introduce her to?
Because she's not super into action stuff.
It's not that if it wasn't good enough, she wouldn't.
Maybe my hero might work, but I don't know.
If you can think of anything, anybody.
I would love some advice on that for sure.
My hero.
Full metal Alchemist Brotherhood.
Alchemist.
Brotherhood might be good.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, did you ever watch Free Rent?
No.
She might like that because that's like fantasy but meets some slice of life.
Okay.
Then maybe we can do that one together.
That would work.
And I'm also laughing at Luke goes, Nashville is awful and I have to watch it weekly.
Oh, man.
Dude, a friend of mine has been like pinned for that show so many times.
And so I just now have a personal grudge again.
it where I'm like, when are you all going to cast my friend?
When are you going to give her flowers?
What's happening?
Yeah, man.
I would love to have been on either one of them for sure for any of the 911 ones.
Pat for president, can't wait to see Trevor Slattery again in Wonder Man.
Love them in Chongchi.
Yep.
You will love him here too.
You will love him so much here.
We were dying because of all the breathwork stuff he does in here.
We were just like, oh my God, it's just Logan.
It's just him.
Oh, he, him or, or, or, uh, uh, Simon.
Cause I'm like, like, the exercises and stuff where Logan was like, this is literally what I teach.
Oh, God.
So watch the show.
The only thing I will say I'll give credit for is, um, I've never tried that, but Trevor's right about like being too in your head.
The, the idea of like, blow all of the year out of your body.
So it almost makes you light.
And I've never done that before.
But it would pull everything out of your mind.
That's actually pretty smart.
Um, so I'm definitely going to try.
that next next project um have a president cap and green goblin are serum bottle mutates
yeah yes yeah that that sounds right what uh what would you all do if you got the super
soldier of serum what i do a pull up i would play in the NFL what are you talking about i'll
go get i'll go make some goddamn money like i'm pretty sure that that's why tom brady's
ass played as long as he did he's just old cap now this some old BS
that he played that damn long.
I'm pretty sure that that's what LeBron has.
LeBron's got the Super Soldier Ceremony.
It doesn't make no damn sense.
KJ 7457, for actors,
why are line reading so insulting?
Ah, yeah, I can, I have a thought,
but ladies first.
It's telling somebody their business.
And it's also going, hey, you,
I don't trust that you're capable
or competent enough to do your job.
Let me tell you how to do this.
I am very fortunate that I've not had this happen
too often. I give an example in my class all the time of I had a client. I did an Office Depot
commercial and they got so specific where the client made me say, we save you time, depot time.
That's our job. About 700 times because I wasn't getting the corporate culture and you could
see my director and sound gender engineer just glazing over and being like, stop. We got it.
We got it in the three. Stop. It's just, it's so micromanagey and it usually, one, shows that you don't
have confidence in your actor to shows that you are micromanaging.
You've got to relinquish that control.
Yeah.
The thing about it in any,
and micromanagement is the best way to say it.
Think about it in any other job.
If somebody came over, if you're a, I don't know,
you're a janitor, because I've been watching Abbott.
And I've been, like, there's one of the more recent episodes,
Mr. Johnson meets another janitor.
And they have a rivalry kind of going on because, like,
you know you didn't clean that, right?
you know you completely miss that and if you use this this this and this he's like don't you tell me how to do my job and do my job it's it's the same kind of concept lines are your job it's my it's my job to interpret that and make it the only person that should ever really be doing that would essentially be the director and the writer and that's it because then they're talking about the vision that they're trying to bring to life so if the director's like it's not that aggressive it's it's more me like it's more of a that makes more sense that makes more sense that makes more sense that makes more sense
But another actor doing that, same pay grade, buddy.
Stay in your lane.
Like, don't do that.
Like, don't, don't do that.
If any of you are taking acting classes, too, if your coach or teacher gives you line reads,
that's also just kind of a red flag thing because it's not allowing you to make your own choices and discover stuff.
Difference between a manager and an agent.
Oh, that's a great question.
So some of it comes down to licensing.
So basically, like, managers don't have to have a license.
It can be Wild West.
for them. Agents have to. Also, they can be franchised by the union by Sag Afterra. It used to be,
and I feel like it's not as much anymore. You can let me know how you feel about it Winston.
It used to be this idea of like managers are thinking about your career as a whole and they're
helping build your team. They're helping you assemble your Avengers. And agents are the ones who are
setting you up for those auditions. So managers, mostly what it comes down to is they just legally
can't do a lot of other stuff because of the licensing. But also, agents,
having licensing kind of protects you a little bit from like scammy kind of situations.
Is that kind of cover it?
Yep, that pretty much covers it.
Their pay structure is a little different.
Ages are typically 10.
Managers are typically about 15 to 20.
And it is from the standpoint of yes,
the managers are more in the business of developing you as a, as like a talent.
And keeping the big picture, agents are more about getting you the work.
So if you easiest way to see it,
it's not to say that managers can't get you work they can.
Easiest way to see it, I do think as, you know,
ridiculous as the show is, and I love the show.
But Entourage, the difference between E and,
and Ari is pretty spot on.
And you can kind of tell, like that, yeah,
there are times that Ari cares about Vince's career as a whole,
but he really is about, they got Aquaman, let's make this money.
And E is like, no, he wants to do Medell.
This is the thing that will help him as an artist.
This is this kind of thing, et cetera, et cetera.
So that's really kind of how that works in that regard.
I think they do a good job with that.
Ray Dominguez, have you guys done plays?
Are you all trying to do camera and voice work?
Everything, man.
At least I have.
I've done everything.
Yeah.
And enjoy doing all of it.
Yeah.
I did a bunch of theater auditions this past year.
And I really hadn't done theater since I lived in Houston.
I mostly did like my stage work here.
was stand-up.
Yeah.
It's all of its acting, right?
We're just doing different mediums all the time.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Exactly.
More support.
Thank you so much.
Gars.
That's go-pal.
Rob Bryden on Wilty.
Would I lie to you?
Oh, okay.
I don't know that.
Told a story that he used to take calls as his agent, but not impersonate a
known person or agency.
You think that that.
I think that's bad.
Yeah, it's still not great.
It's still not great.
I wouldn't do it because, again,
even what we just talked about with agents, too,
there's also the licensing element of it.
So then there is some legal ramifications
that can ultimately come out of that one way or the other.
So you got to be careful about that.
What is this guy doing in here?
Hey, hey, you.
What are you doing here?
Yeah, I can see you.
Yeah, no, no, that's fine.
For those that don't know, I can't really bring them on here,
but PLDs just hide in the background.
What did you do it?
us, huh?
We're at 101.
We got about 20 minutes left.
It's a taller to get to 120 to 121, but maybe we can do it.
Let's see.
Yeah.
Dingus McNally, what should you look for when you're trying to sign with an agency?
How do you know if they've got your back and aren't trying to take advantage you?
That's a great question.
Again, I default to ladies first.
Oh, dang.
I teach a whole class on this.
How to prep for getting ripped.
So basically it's a very tired metaphor, but it is a lot like dating.
You are going to go with your gut on a lot of things.
Does this feel like a good relationship?
You want to talk to them about their casting connections too.
Hey, if you were somebody who's trying to work in comedy, do you know those people who are casting the shows that you want to be on?
Are you on the same page about where you fit into the TV film landscape?
Do you guys see the same kind of career for you of, do we agree on my perceived age?
Should we agree on how I should be pitched to people?
Do we like my materials?
Do you have any input for me?
Red flags to look out for if they want you to coach only with specific people,
take headshots with specific people.
That's because they're getting pay thrown their way.
Yeah, so that's shady.
You want to talk to them too about like, how do they like being talked to?
What is their preferred communication method?
Do you like how they treat you?
It's a really big one.
You also have to decide for yourself what you expect.
from an agent. I know some people who are really needy and they need an agent who will hold their hand
to be so communicative. I need my agents to be bloodhounds. I need to get to be Chris Trager and I need
them to be Ben Wyatt. So I can just be super happy and thanks so much for having me. And then my agent can
swoop in and go, where is her money?
Thousand percent. I think that covers most of it. You know, I think the thing that really got me with
my current agent that I really like. I mean, on the one hand, I did have. I did have. I think,
actually know her in college, which was the funny part, because my, the agency that I was with,
I was with DPN, they closed their theatrical department during the strike. They couldn't,
they couldn't keep up. And so they, they went back to just doing VO and commercial.
So what I went looking for another theatrical agent. And again, for those that don't know,
theatrical, not theater. Theatrical is in like TV and film. So like not commercials and stuff
like that. Homie was like, yeah, so-and-so from school, she's an agent now, et cetera. And as I
got to know like a she's worked as a producer she's worked as an editor she's worked as a manager
and she actually was her now husband's manager um and he went to go give his agent i love this story
and that was enough for me to go yeah i got a sign with her um he went to go deliver a christmas
present to his agent at the time and the agent was like oh i forgot we even reped you my bad
and so she said you what and so she said
this and decided to go get her her credentials to make it happen and transition from manager to agent
as I started this agency and it's she's kicking ass and taking names and so I got to see that
bloodhound side of it and then on the other hand like one of the things that she uniquely does that
a lot of agencies don't do um she's built out an entire instead of discord but it's the same thing
she's that entire slack uh channel set up so the entire agency of clients and the people working for her
are all interconnected.
So there's like a whole self-tape channel.
So if somebody needs a self-tape reader and stuff like that, you can pop in there.
Most of that's digital, which is why I just call Chris most of the time because I'd rather do it in person.
But you've got that.
You've got people that are collabing on stuff.
If people have products going on, they can do it that way, if, you know, all sorts of
stuff that's built in there that also allows for any sort of communication you need quickly
with her or anybody in the agency.
And so her main thing is, I'm going to bust my ass for you.
just stay in communication. Here's an easy way to do that. And she, you know, and that,
that for me, you showed me all the signs that you're going to work extra hard for me. So it's
going to make me want to work extra hard for you too. So those, I think, are the main things you
really want out of, um, uh, an agent. Text Winston about a referral to his agent.
Damn it, dude. I thought if I had no, they just closed submissions. Fuck. Okay. Oh, no. That's okay.
That's all right. But, but, but, but I will talk to her. Because again, I know her if, if, if anything opens up,
I will immediately be like, you need to talk to Chris.
Thanks, buddy.
I got rid of all my theatrical people.
I didn't know that.
See, if I'd known, I would have thought they had 1,000% of the start of the year,
they were like, okay, if anybody has any referrals,
then I had already sent one in and she got signed,
which is great.
If I had known, I would have 1,000% submitted you.
That's okay.
That's why you got to tell your friend's shit.
That's my fault.
That's all good.
It's all good.
KJ 7457, could Stephen, could be a live action series or film?
I've never seen it, so I can't speak to it.
Oh my gosh.
It's so beautiful and wonderful.
I think you guys would really like it.
That potentially could be a fun couple show for y'all.
Because I feel there's some anti-A influence and stuff in there.
And it's also very musically charged.
It could be those things.
It could be a live action series or film.
But it's so good.
It's kind of the same idea of when they made Avatar a live action series.
I'm like, yeah, cool.
That's fine.
You can do that.
But this perfect thing exists.
Oh, POD as a kid?
He says, Stevie Universe is so adorable.
My son is showing me now.
Wait a minute.
Someone has sex with PLD?
You had three kids.
This, what the hell?
You had sex three times where they triplets?
They must have been triplets.
You got it one and done, didn't you?
Charlie Thompson, 9167.
Have you seen the voice of Heinrichab yet?
It's proof that, you know, is, hey, I have not seen it.
I have heard really good things.
and I'm very excited to check it out.
But no, I have not seen it, so I don't know.
Pat for president.
Chris, have you seen real shorts videos posted by voice actor Shelby Young?
They're so cool to watch.
I'm so excited to see all of her success.
Oh, my gosh, Shelby's incredible.
If y'all have not seen her stuff, she breaks down how to do different voices.
She, I think, first went viral for showing how she could go through different Disney voices on her phone and, and, like, pitch down and be like, like, if I start here, I can do.
do this. And then if I add this dialect, I can do this.
She has tons of
robot voices throughout
so many animated projects. She does sound
alike work. She's killer. She's so talented.
Nice. Yeah.
All right.
Hi, Winston and Chris. Love you all together. Thank you.
Thank you. Sorry to hear.
You weren't excited about Avengers Doom's Day. It's number one on my list.
What could the MCU do to get you more excited?
In all honesty,
if everything just is
firing on all cylinders this year,
you really don't have any misses, I would be super geeked.
And I'm not saying that I'm not into it.
I've just, the hype that I normally have had for Avengers movies is just not there like
it was in the past.
And I think Chris is right.
I think part of it too is we haven't necessarily had a proper buildup to this.
Like by the time we got to Avengers, it was like, here's the origin stories of all these
offenders.
Oh, damn.
And you got to Age of Ultron.
It was like, okay, we went through all of their kind of sequel movies and they're coming
back together.
and it's like, okay, damn.
And by the time we got to Infinity War and Endgame,
we're fully looking at the Infinity Stones.
We've met Thanos.
We've like, all that kind of stuff that it's like,
this is it, bro.
This is it.
I just don't feel that quite yet.
And just having the, oh, the Fantastic Four ship came through a portal
at the end of New Avengers and Dr. Doom showed part of the side of his head
at Fantastic Four isn't enough for me to go,
I can't wait.
But like Spider-Man, because those movies have been consistently good,
I'm like, hey, yo.
Like, what do we do now?
Like, I, I just don't have the anticipation as previously,
because we haven't set it up properly, I guess.
Yeah.
Pat for president, joke.
Disney announced that Marvel will replace blade with double-edged sword.
That was good.
I like that.
Well done.
Well done.
Pat for president, bakefast.
Yoshimitsu 5537, Winston, you and Christian should react to Sisu.
You know, I only, because I only, I saw the second one as a scene, screen unseen.
And I was confused, but I was like, this is insane.
This is like, like, I think he's Polish or whatever.
He's like, the Eastern European John Wick.
He's just, it doesn't make sense the stuff he's pulling off in the sequel.
So I would certainly love to watch the first one.
That'd be fun.
Seattle, K.O.
What's your usual routine or ritual before you film a scene?
Great question.
Do you have one?
A little bit.
I normally will do my main thing is music.
I will do, I have a pump up playlist that I play for myself.
And then part of my creative process when I'm getting ready is I actually do a couple of things.
I do a journal entry.
I will go through the script and like write down all the different points of stuff that might be important to keep in my head.
And then I'm big into making a playlist for whoever this person.
is. So because for me, since music is just so good like that, if, you know, the, the audition
you helped me with the other day of, like, the dude that was, like, the deadbeat dad, he listened to a
lot of Tupac. And it was, but not in, like, but he listened to it in a way where it's not like he was
like, you know, Tupac can, like similar to Kendrick can be very like, like, like, I guess
aware of the world and conscientious and stuff like that. He just, he's just like this kind of want to be
like he's listening to brenda got a baby and and he's not thinking it in terms of i abandoned my
kid he's thinking in terms of like man these hoes out here like i just like i literally so music is a
big one for me and if i'm like waiting in my dressing room or anything else i'm not listening to the music
that winson likes to listen to i'm listening to the music of henry or bob or whatever so what about you
yeah uh love a playlist for a character for when i'm on set um uh on screen acting or stand up i got to just like
get in my body so I like jump around a whole bunch and everything too. If I'm feeling a little
stressed out about it or I just need to regulate my nervous system, put my feet up on the wall
so I can calm down. Voiceover is a lot more just technical stuff of I start out with steaming
with a nebulizer in the morning. I do a whole bunch of just warmups for my face and my voice.
I'll do scales. I'll do all the annoying theater things. You know that all that lovely stuff.
I test my registers out. If I'm doing a whole bunch of fight.
that day I kind of see how I can push my voice a little bit.
And then I have like a whole cool down thing afterwards too.
So I just don't burn my voice out.
No, genius, genius, genius.
Okay, let me see.
We got to, I'm realizing we got to hustle.
We're at 105.
Oh, dang.
Let's get through.
Pat for president.
I love watching Nancy Cartwright's YouTube channel.
It's fun learning about the ins and outs of voice acting,
Simpsons and Tales and Showbiz.
Nancy voices Bart for those who may not know.
She's incredible.
Yeah.
Her masterclass is fantastic.
I'm a big masterclass guy.
I'm really good.
Christian Unpronounceable.
Chris, how do you feel about the upcoming Golan movies?
Oh, dude, super stoked.
I mean, directed by Andy Circus.
Not just him being Gollum, but, you know, directing it.
I think Andy Circus is an actor who a lot of people sleep on or they just are like, oh, yeah, he's a mocap actor.
Mocap's so hard.
Mocap is doing theater and film at the same time.
Really hard.
It is really hard.
It's crazy.
So I'm very, very stoked about that one.
Yeah, Pat for President.
It's unbelievable how many IPs are coming into Fortnite, Simps and South Park, Kill Bill,
Back to the Future, and many others.
Yeah, there was another one that seemed out of place recently.
I can't remember.
I know they added K-pop Demon Hunters recently, I believe,
but there was another one that really did not feel like that fit in Fortnite,
but what do I know?
I haven't played Fortnite a long time.
Harvsk, 4181.
The Patreon option means we would have to separately watch the show on a side.
separate device while timed with watching a reactions, right? No, because it would, if I'm a mistake,
correct me from wrong PLD, you can know, or Luke, you can both tell me in the chat, the private
chat. Essentially, what you would do is anything that is not actively out on YouTube. If it's behind
whatever said payway, it would just be an unlisted video that would show up on YouTube,
but you would get the link through the Patreon or as a member through that way as well, and then it doesn't
get pulled, correct? Yeah. No, PLD says no. No, he's going to, he's going to, he's going to,
I thought that's how it should work.
I thought that's what it was.
I said yes so confidently.
Oh, man.
He'll let us know in just a second.
Hey, Mr. CJ, Michael B. Jordan.
That's a posit for you, Chris.
There you go.
That's a posit for all of us, bud.
All right.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Brody Bruce, 007.
Have either of you seen Sandro Rosta on Starfleet Academy?
Thoughts on him as Miles Morales or another DC or Marvel character,
have no idea if that's a path he wants to go down.
I do not know who that is.
No, I haven't checked out Starfleet yet.
I need to.
I've never been a big Star Trek guy.
Oh, good looking kid.
Yeah, yeah, I could potentially see it, but I know nothing about him.
I watched TNG with my dad, and then we watched Picard, which I really liked.
Yeah.
Pat for President.
Anyone seen the oversimplified history videos.
They are a fun way to learn history, lots of humor and facts, some movie references, too.
No, I have not.
I love that.
I love me a good documentary, so that would be fun.
Ray Dominguez, I think y'all just convinced me to become a channel member for the Demon Slayer reactions.
Absolutely, man.
Welcome.
Welcome.
Welcome.
POD says, so what you said was correct, but what he means, I believe, is that for the member exclusive watch-alongs, he needs to sync up the films slash show with the reaction via the timer that we put on the screen because we can't put the whole show on the screen.
unless you want me to just come in and tell it.
No, that made sense.
That made sense.
I think, I think, I think we got that.
Just that, no.
Only because I realize we've got five.
How much longer can you stay?
I don't have anything today.
Great.
We're going to get through all of these,
but we are going to speed up just to try and, you know,
move it along.
So, Papa President, anyone to play those pandemic simulation games.
They can be so dark and allow someone to tap into the inner darkness
and even the what?
No.
The hell are those.
Thank you.
No, thank you.
Unless, the only simulation I'm going to play close to the pandemic is day drinking and making sourdough.
What the hell?
A pandemic simulator game.
No.
What the, no, thank you.
That'll make me be put in a dark place.
Uh, path of president.
My dad and I plan on doing four episodes per sitting.
He heard that's the way to watch it.
Yeah, I mean, yes, I just, I'm pretty sure Doorman is episode four.
It's a weird place to stop.
I would almost say stop after episode five.
Three.
Either do three and five or do five and three.
Just because the Dorman's stopping part, I know that sounds weird to do an extra episode on one of them.
It's just, it's not a good stopping point.
Yeah, Dorman is four.
Yeah.
It's a good episode.
It's just, you'll see.
I don't want to ruin it.
Pat for President, my dad is the movie.
TV pop culture guy in my home.
Love that.
That's definitely going to be me with our family for sure.
Pat comes in again.
I watch Home Alone, one and two back in November.
She was amazing in those and Beetlejuice.
I also love seeing pictures of how happy she was from McClea Coconut
as Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony.
Yeah, dude.
She really is the goat as Corn Emperor says.
A favorite comedy movie of hers.
What about for you?
I would probably say the first Home Alone.
Oh, she's wonderful in that.
For me, it's probably a tie between Best and Show or Mighty Wind.
Gotcha.
Yeah.
Those are good.
Those are good.
Pat for President, Chris.
To quote Mad Money's Jim Kramer,
buy, bye, buy on Fackham Hall.
It will be an investment that will pay in dividends of value consideration.
It's very true.
Sweet.
I'm going to do it.
Greenie from Oz had my first film school intro day this week,
being around other humans that love movies as much as,
me feels so strange at first but it's effing awesome dude i am so excited for you greenie from
oz i am so excited for you dude that's awesome once you find film people like it's it's like every
day i mean i don't want film work is hard work but it's like being at summer camp where you're
just like hell yeah everyone here is as stoked as i am about this kind of stuff let's go absolutely
absolutely man uh go pal in the vein of trevor can you do scoos chris scouse and no
I don't know.
So it's a British dialect.
So my dialectical prowess, I can do R.P.
Received pronunciation.
I can use Scottish.
I can do some Irish.
We're working on it.
I can do a little bit of Aussie, but I lean more towards New Zealand because I watch so much
play at the count cords.
And then I'm pretty good at regional US stuff.
And I do a decent Russian.
But like all the intricacies of the British nation of the UK, I'm, I'm.
I sound very Dick Van Dyke.
Go, pal.
The shadow in my head becomes the phantom, the ghost who walks.
I'm not sure I've seen the Zane film, but Defenders of Earth was big in my youth.
I saw the Zane film.
That's the only thing I have with the Phantom.
Me too.
Yeah, so.
Fiona George 95.
Catherine O'Hara, RIP.
What a shock.
Such a legendary actress.
Absolutely, man.
Jeez.
We got I are.
I Hunam sending love from Oteroah, New Zealand.
I think I said that right.
But hello from California.
Oh my gosh, what time is it?
It's like 4 a.m. for you?
Probably.
And probably out here being like, why don't you just say the C-U-Nxt-2?
You're making such a big deal.
It's not a big deal here.
Pat for President.
I have been doing genealogy since 2008.
I was 11.
Wow.
I started a family tree in 2011 on ancestry.
I have over 15,000 names in my tree.
Dude, that's so cool.
That's really cool.
That is really cool.
Man.
Jay Morgan 3977, just saying, hey guys, favorite comic book movie.
It's so vast at this point.
Yeah.
Probably either the dark night or into the Spider-Verse at this point.
Yeah.
I'd probably go Spider-verse.
or honestly, the Spider-Man PlayStation game,
I think is kind of like the best Spider-Man movie.
It's up there.
I mean, yeah, yeah, which is part of the reasons why I'm pissed about the whole PlayStation thing.
I really want to finish Spider-Man, too.
I was cat sitting for my friend and he has a PS-5.
So I was like, I'll just start it.
And I was like, I shouldn't have done this because now all I want to do is play this goddamn game.
So if anybody out there wants to loan me their PS-5 so I can play Spider-Man 2,
I play pretty quickly because I get into ADHD super focus holes and I will play games for 12 hours at a time.
Pat for President, favorite superhero cartoon.
I adore Spider-Man, the 94-98 series, the 90s X-Men cartoon, X-Men 97, Spectacular Spider-Man and Teen Titans.
That's a great list.
It's a great list.
Definitely the X-Men animated series for sure.
I did love the Spider-Man animated series back in the day, but I would say Batman, the animated
series was bigger for me.
That Justice League, Justice League Unlimited run, Teen Titans for sure, Young Justice.
Yep.
Old school Ninja Turtles.
What else you got?
Can we count Darkwing Duck?
Yeah.
Yeah, sweet.
I would add that in.
Yeah, I would, all of the ones you just mentioned, though.
Yeah.
Peter Parker from the Spider-Man 94 cartoon was my first crush.
The Powerpuff Girls.
Hell yes.
I love that show.
I love that show.
The G-Man 81-19.
Hi there.
I survived the snowstorm.
Yay.
Hell yes, sir.
Glad to hear about Wonder Man.
I'll watch this weekend.
Winston, John Harbaal, now the New York Giants head coach.
Our Dallas Cowboys are in for battle.
Maybe.
Only thing I'll say is, yes, he is a extremely talented, tenured head coach.
If he has an Andy Reed resurgence, we're in a lot of trouble.
But is there a world where maybe the world is passed him by a little bit?
I'm very curious to see what happens, man.
But we will see.
We will see.
Oh, dip, we didn't say Batman Beyond.
That was a huge one for me.
Static shock.
Static shock, too.
Yeah.
Christian unpronounceable.
Arnovsky is dead to me now.
If you know, you know.
I don't think I know.
I don't know.
Kingsport cow for Joseph Ashley 4122.
He-Man trailer thoughts.
I actually haven't seen the trailer because I never watched He-Man so I wasn't super
I have to go see this right now.
But everybody seems to be excited about it, right?
I think it looks very cool.
Also, sorry if you guys can hear dog snoring.
They're really going crazy.
But the trailer looks really rad.
My only experience with He-Man has been like the tertiary stuff I've known from like the
Christmas space.
special between him and Shira, and then like the remake that they did on Netflix.
But I think it looks cool.
And that Nick actor, gosh, he's swole.
He got Jack to be he man.
All right, I bet.
I'll have to check it out then.
Oh, oh, apparently Darren Aronarovsky did an AI animated series.
Oh, dude.
Ew.
Yeah, that sucks.
I don't like that all.
You hate to hear it.
Who's your pick for Best Picture?
Let me look at the nominees.
I don't remember off the top of my head.
Best picture.
I mean, in my heart, it's sinners, but.
Yeah, I mean, in my heart, it's also sinners.
I knew that much, but I don't, I don't.
It's probably going to go to one battle.
That would be my guess.
My guess would be one battle without even getting to the nominee list.
But, yes, for me, it was sinners.
Um, the only other thing that maybe, but I've really been hearing more about the performance in the overall film.
Just because of how hoity toady the academy is, maybe Hamnet.
True.
But I think it'll probably be one battle.
Yeah.
And I wouldn't, I wouldn't hate it if it did.
I just wish it were sinners.
That's all.
Yeah.
DBS, Galactic Patrol arc and B OG arc remaster for the win.
Let's go.
Oh, no, I can't wait.
We're finally getting Morrow.
It's going to be so good.
Oh, God.
I am so effing excited.
Oh, I'm so excited.
That was probably the biggest news that I got this week was that.
Take it or leave redoing a rematch.
So Dragon Mall Super is coming back.
Oh, okay.
They ended at the Terminator of Power for the anime.
That was the end of the series.
It talks about it coming back.
The manga's been gone for a while.
Hopefully the manga's coming back soon.
But the next arc after the tournament of power is Moro, who is like this evil wizard that essentially is able to kind of similar to a cell sort of where he can like absorb people's essence and abilities and all that kind of stuff.
Except infinitely more deadly, thousands of years ancient.
Like it's, it is an insane arc, but it might be my favorite Dragon Ball arc, period.
It is so good.
So to know that we're getting it animated, I cannot wait.
Dragon Ball Z and then Zikai are all I know.
Fair, fair.
Okay.
Yeah, you should watch Super for sure.
Okay.
Dark Smirk 1.
Do you play Marvel rivals?
If so, main three you play.
I haven't been playing in a long time.
I was just talking to, for those that remember, Dwayne Burke from the Schmodan
and everything else, I was just talking about it.
I want to play it because I've heard that Deadpool apparently is all three classes.
He's a vanguard and a strategist and, uh, um, um, uh, um, uh,
a duelist.
So I'm so curious about that.
I'm curious about Rogue and Gambit.
Because, yeah, I've missed the last, like, two or three seasons.
So I got to get back into it.
Do you still play?
Or did you play?
Logan plays it.
And I watch.
I'm furious because I tried to get an audition in for Rogue.
Because a student of mine sent it to me.
And I was like, yo, Mike, you got to get me in for this.
And he was like, I don't have any contacts here.
I was like, you better find a contact today.
All of a sudden, all of a sudden, you're like,
I might have to, you know, might.
I'd have to pretend that I'm my own agent.
Do a quick like, this is Chris.
I'm calling for Chris Carr.
But Logan usually plays as Rocket,
Wanda, or
Dr. Strange.
I try to make him play
as Jeff the Shark as much as possible
because I love that old guy.
Jeff is fun.
My mains were Magneto, Iron Man,
um,
Invisible Woman.
and I can't remember who the fourth one that I was playing.
But those were the main ones that I was playing.
Man, they really caked up, Sue.
Woo.
And in her malice outfit?
Oh, God.
Goonin.
Okay, Pat for President, favorite animated shows.
I love Lilo and Stitch, Kim Possible, Classic Simpsons,
classic Family Guy, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Odd Parents, Classic SpongeBob,
Billy and Mandy, Foster's Home, Phidney's and Furb.
Hmm.
animated as a whole.
I mean, all of the stuff we mentioned previously with the superhero stuff,
throwing South Park in there, throw in the boondocks in there,
throw in Courage of Cowrly Dog and Dexter's Lab.
Anything else for you?
I mean, Avatar would be in there for me.
Siler Moon was a big one for me.
Oh, gosh.
All the Dragon Ballsie stuff.
Oh, me too.
Ducktails.
And I'm genuinely like the 2018 Ducktails is so freaking good.
It's so excellent.
It's so fun.
Everyone kills it on that show.
And it's what we make people watch when they want to do Scottish dialects is we're like,
you've got to just listen to David Tennant, be the most Scottish he's ever been as Scrooge McDuck.
All right.
It's so fun.
I'll have to go ahead and check it out.
Also, so Ryan's goes, so technically teenage mutates Ninja Turtles.
Yes, Ryan.
Technically, yes.
Yes, sir.
Israel Zerg, Winston, Try Promised to Neverland.
Awesome Thriller.
Okay.
I don't know what that is.
Let me write that down.
Is that a thriller anime?
Promise Neverland.
Oh, maybe that was to do with Chris.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
And then what was the other one I was supposed to do?
I already forgot.
Oh, I said you should do erased and free rent.
Erased.
Yep.
And then free and.
Okay.
Paul Hitchcock.
How do you make anti-free?
take her blanket.
Oh, God.
Greenie from Oz, if you had a really bare-bone skeleton crew for an indie shoot,
what would you say are the most important people to have roles to fill?
Craft services, first and foremost.
I mean.
Crafty's so important.
You need to have a DP who, like, truly knows what they're doing.
A DP that can also double as, as,
crew of push came to shove.
Yeah, he can do grip work.
They can do lighting and can do basic grip work, which we've done, we've done all that
before, somebody that can kind of jack, the Swiss Army knife it.
Yeah.
Sound.
And sound.
I would say those are the only two absolute must haves.
And then your actors, hopefully one of them helped kind of co-write or something or
wrote it or something like that.
Or, and then another one could be the director.
Like, you can kind of do it that way, one way or the other.
but yeah we've I was with with some buddies in mine for years it was just the four of us two of us were actors
um one was an actor growing up it was one of my best friends but he really kind of went into more of like a
kind of producer kind of grip role and the other one was more of a director DP and then we just
kind of made the four of us made it work a lot we did um if you ever want to say it was apartment 55 was
the name of it um let me see if I can find find it really quick but
Yeah, we did that web series a long time ago.
And then we did a bunch of, like, comedy sketches.
They helped me do, um, uh, hood-ass yoga.
If anybody's seen that on my channel and stuff like that.
But yeah, I'll find it and I'll put a link in somewhere if you guys are curious.
But, um, let's see.
Path of a president.
I adore Cyber Chase, Arthur, American Dad, Dragon Tales, Maya and Miguel, King of the Hill.
Do love King of the Hill.
I was actually watching that last night.
And Danny Phantom.
I used to love Kyu as a kid,
but now he annoys and aggravates me so much.
That's hilarious.
A bald-ass so-and-so,
oh, and everybody's business.
Catherine Hahn as Mother Gothel,
since there's an article,
what are your opinions?
Oh, we talked about this.
We did a couple weeks ago, right?
Yeah, yeah.
No, you know, I'm here for it.
I mean, it sounds like she is playing the same thing
as, what's it?
What's her name? Agatha.
Yeah.
So I'm here for it.
Fiona George, now both parents have passed.
Damn.
That's really sad.
King Sport.
Do actors dislike people who get discovered?
Not cool ones.
Yeah, ones that are cool I'm okay with.
And it always just depends.
It depends on what that story is.
Because a lot of times people that are discovered are actually have been hustling for a while.
And so it's not an overnight sensation.
They've been doing stuff.
I think the rare times where that happens more or less,
it's either you're a Nepo baby,
in which case I don't love it.
But if you bring,
if you,
if I look up and I'm like,
you know,
but this person's actually really fucking talented,
then I don't care.
Yeah.
And then the other time that I can think of those type of discovered
tend to be more like open casting calls.
And that's like the girl that was in hairspray.
I don't remember that was a big story when she did that.
Same thing.
I'm sad that like it didn't go how she wanted,
but like,
Kelly Marie Tran who played Rose.
Same thing. That was another kind of open casting call thing and she,
you know, and booked that. So it just depends, I guess.
Cool actors, too, are rooting for each other. You know,
what's meant for you is meant for you kind of thing. So even if we're
hyming and hung on here about like, oh, I should have gotten that or I missed out on
that audition, it goes to typically who deserves it. And that's nine times
out of ten. You're just happy that somebody's succeeding at this crazy job.
Absolutely. Yoshimitsu. Oh, my God.
two without one must have been so extremely confusing.
No idea what was going on.
And that's part of why my fiance hated it, but I was like,
I'm confused.
It doesn't really make sense, but that was insane.
You flipped a tank with a mine.
I don't understand how you did that, but sure.
Like, like, and not like, oh, flipped it and it's destroyed.
As in like a tank that you were driving, you flipped it over a barricade to keep driving.
I was like, sure.
Why not?
Pat for president, support train sustainment.
Thank you so much.
Pat, you've really been coming in hardcore today.
I appreciate you so much.
Unheard Sirens Incorporated, RIP, Captain O'Hara.
I recommend checking out some SCTV today like Canadian SNL in the 80s, good stuff.
Absolutely.
Favorite Pirate to the Caribbean character, mine is Barbosa, followed very closely by Jack.
Ah, haven't seen it in a long time.
Probably Jack.
Jack or Jack the Monkey.
Oh, Jack the Monkey, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Foreign Emperor, y'all young.
Gadget from Rescue Rangers.
Loved Gadget.
They'd love Gadget.
Absolutely.
Um, what else, what else, what else?
Spider-Man 2 is now on, is on Steam now Winston.
Yeah, but I have a Mac.
So unless they have decided to open that up,
which a lot of times they do not,
um, Spider-Man 2 Mac,
hmm, yeah, I would have to run a bunch of like extra stuff.
Maybe one day.
I don't know.
I'll just play Final Fantasy 7 on that top.
for president with a large one. Thank you so much.
One big bonus from a genealogy was having a great grandma that lived to 108 years old.
Her lifespan was from September 1915 to January of 2024.
Damn, one of her nursing school classmates was the wife of award-winning Matt artist Peter Ellinshaw.
Wow.
That's so cool.
That's really cool, dude.
Dang.
The G-man, RIP, Catherine O'Hara, absolutely.
My local NBC affiliate ran SCTV for After.
her Lola Heatherton character the dysfunctional Vegas performer was brilliant oh dude I got to look
that up um pat for president I am also very very very very distantly related to playwright John
Waters nice some of his family is buried with my on my family's farm dude what you're
I think I did a genealogy yeah though it's kind of hard to figure out where all my ancestors
Anyway, go pal, I haven't seen this new ducktails, but I thought.
I was like, oh no, oh no.
But I thought the PLD, you're laughing a little too R, god damn it.
You laugh a little too R, BLD.
I haven't seen this new ducktails, but I thought Tenet was the most Scottish.
He's ever been shouting third gear.
I can't do it.
Third gear.
Third gear.
Doing his laugh on top gear.
The Beagle Studios, I had an actor who started directing,
my actors on set in front of me,
then was telling me the director what to do.
We talked next day, did it again.
He got fired, right?
Because he should be fired.
Go pal.
Also, Chris, say burglar alarm in a Scottish accent.
Barclare alarm.
Barclare alarm.
Go, pal.
My sister hated Cayu when my nephew was a baby.
Yeah, again, I heard he's a little so-and-so.
Right, that's best food you've ever had on set.
The food on crew two in Philly was fire.
I still miss it.
Best food on set.
When I first moved to L.A., I was a stand-in on Amazon's betas.
And our crafty head would always have sushi rice and like little fixings to go with it.
And, oh, it was just the best being able to just be like, yay, I'm going to make myself a little Japanese bowl.
Go back to sit.
I think my favorite one.
I want to say it was an award show that I was working.
A friend of mine has been like a dressing room coordinator for a long time.
So she at times would hire people to like do the writer runs and stock dressing rooms and all that stuff.
They had Wagyu Philly cheese steaks.
Those were incredible.
Damn.
That was really good.
And then they followed that up.
That was rehearsal day.
Then they followed that up with Popeyes.
for everybody, which was hilarious.
Like that, the next day, it's like,
we gave you the good shit.
Now, now, here, take this quick shit
and get to work.
That's great, though.
Pat for president, I think Han would be very fitting,
but I'd hear Agatha all along,
at least the cackle would not have changed.
It's all true.
That's very, very true.
And then Eric Hendershada,
which I know is I crappin shits late to the show.
Did you guys see Wonder Man?
Loved it.
Did you like it? We loved it.
Did you get a little too close to home for struggling actors?
Yes, it did.
Sometimes.
Yep.
But with that, have a great weekend.
And that is going to do it at 120.
Thank you so, so much to everybody that tried to help us get there.
You know, that is on any other week, that would have been a winning combination.
It's respectable.
It's respectable.
Yeah, but that, but, you know, 221 was a lot to kind of go up against.
So looks like the pup woke up from her post-breakfast nap after pouting.
So Chris, tell them where you're at.
Oh, you can find me on Instagram.
