Starting point is 00:00:01 What's going on, everybody? We have a good show here today on the Christian Hollar show. Capes and Cowles edition. The crew is back. That's right. Winston, A Marshall, Coy, Jondro, and myself, we are back to discuss all things in the realm of comic book movies. And what a week it was?
Starting point is 00:00:19 Winston and I did a five and a half hour stream. Yes, Coy stopped in for a second. He had a cameo in the same way that the little Ant Man chair did. But Winston and I were holding it down. We did five and a half hours. and that stream started to bring out a lot of speculation. What the hell is going on with this movie? What the hell's going on?
Starting point is 00:00:38 Well, we know that it was a smart marketing move overall because the amount of time people spent watching it was beneficial to them. Do we think it was the best plan? Probably not. But then more speculation. Is it X-Men versus Avengers? Is that actually what they're going to be doing here?
Starting point is 00:00:55 So we'll talk about that. A lot of Thunderbolts news inside of that, too. A lot of Thunderbolts reveals. inside of that. Are the Thunderwolves going to be the new Avengers? I kind of feel like that's going to happen. I kind of feel like that's what they're doing. But we'll discuss. Superman? Going to have some news there going on in the world of DC and a few other things we'll speculate on.
Starting point is 00:01:16 And I might have a Jake Paul story for you all. I told Winston and Coy, but maybe I'll tell you guys. We'll see. That more on this edition of capes and cows. Christian Harlov's show. All right, everybody. Let's do it. You ready? Me too. Welcome back, everybody. To the show. I'm excited to have you all here.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Capes and Cowles, Christian Harlow's show. And as all wise, all wise, you see that? All wise. Winston A. Marshall. There he is. He's back. Corey. Corey is back. Corey is back.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Corey is back. Corey. Corey is happy to be here. Yeah, we, people, I don't know, I don't know where that came from.
Starting point is 00:02:24 I want to get, I want to get, I want to make a shirt that says, uh, it was a typo, right? I wanted to say, hi,
Starting point is 00:02:29 like, like those tags when you show up to like an event. I wanted to say, hi, my name is, is Corey. I want to get you that shirt. Corey John Doe,
Starting point is 00:02:36 like I moved to the R. Like it's just, or like I used to say Jandro. Jandro. Jandro. And like, I get Cody half the time because like in the south, they say Coe,
Starting point is 00:02:45 like they add a syllable. you briefly, Coy, the other day for that stream, but Winston and I were on quite a while, Winston took over. So I don't think, even though this is, we're going to try our damnedest today, I don't think anybody is going to be touching what Winston and I think.
Starting point is 00:03:04 If we did, I'd be confused. We don't deserve to. We did 480 questions, if that tells us. Yeah, we broke the record. So, um, let that never be broken, because if you do 480 and 2 hours, something like, Either the past more worst news is very wrong.
Starting point is 00:03:21 But I will tell you this. Once we hit 50, I'll tell my Jake Paul story. How about that? Okay. And you guys have both heard it. It's a fun story. It's a fun story. It is a fun story, guys.
Starting point is 00:03:30 So when we hit 50, I'll do the Jake Paul story. And it lines up with hitting a certain number in order to get the story. It certainly does. It certainly does. Yeah, that's right. See, someone who listens. All right. So we have a lot to discuss here.
Starting point is 00:03:44 And I think the majority of the show really is going to be about this topic and rightfully so. Now, we had this big reveal. We talked about it. We'll talk about it a little bit more inside of the story itself. But Marvel fans are now convinced that they have found Avengers versus X-Men. They have found this tease in the Avengers Doomstay cast reveal, following the news that Avengers Doom's Day will feature several actors from the X-Men franchise. Many fans are convinced they have discovered a nod to Avengers versus X-Men one of the reveal photos.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Now, this week, Avengers Doomstay Cast reveal confirmed that. the X-Men will play a key role in the upcoming movie. We expect that this might be a plan for a while, particularly as Kevin Feigey got his start working as an associate producer on 2000s X-Men. So far, X-Men franchise stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romaine, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, alongside Deadpool and Wolverines Channing Tatum. We've all joined the movie with more expected to follow.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Rumor has it. An incursion will see Earth's 16-6 is mighty his heroes forced to battle the X-Men, essentially meaning we're getting an Avengers versus X-Men movie. The most iconic actors to have filled those roles, the question is, has Marvel Studios already teased the prospect of those teams doing battle next year? As you can see below, many fans are convinced that they spotted a shadow and a photo that followed the live stream, which creates an A and an X sitting on top of each other. If it sounds like a stretch, then you might want to cast your minds back to Avengers endgame.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Before that movie's title was revealed, the Russo Brothers shared a social media post with a behind the scene's image and told fans to look hard. Eventually, people figured out that various items on set spelled out endgame. During a recent interview, Jor Russo explained what brought him and Anthony back to the MCU. What's compelling about these two new Avengers movies is their beginning. It's a new beginning. We told an ending story. Now we're going to tell a beginning story.
Starting point is 00:05:41 That was quite the revelation. But it lined up with what we've heard about Avengers Secret Wars, softly rebooting the MCU and creating a new sacred timeline, the Avengers Fantastic for an X-Men call home. As for what their Marvel Studios feature looks like beyond that, Joe said, who knows where we'll go from there, maybe it'll be another five years. I think we just needed that time and perspective
Starting point is 00:06:03 to figure out where it needed to go, and the only thing that brought us back was the right story. Rumors persisted that the Rousseau's will direct the eventual X-Men reboot. Avengers, June's Day, set to release May 2026, yada, yada, yada. So we can kind of dive into all of this. And where'd you go, Winston? There you go. You're halfway up the screen.
Starting point is 00:06:28 All right. So, Koi, first things first. Do you buy into any of this Avengers versus X-Men stuff? I think it's kind of an inevitability in some ways, but I think it'll be like the comics where it's like the X-Men fight the Avengers after a miscommunication and they end up. Like, if anything comics teach us, it's that heroes have to fight first and realize that on the same. So I don't think it'll be a full-on, like, movie where it's like Civil War, where they fight and it causes things to change the zeit guys.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Because I don't see these X-Men doing anything more than this and Secret Wars. Like, I think it'll be them for both movies, but I do think Secret Ors is going to escalate and have even more actors. So I don't see the fight lasting between the two films. I do think there will be fights and that'll be exciting to see. if you've ever seen that in James McAvoy clip, I think the X-Men take out the Avengers pretty well. So, especially with us not having
Starting point is 00:07:23 a really strong Avengers team that's determined right now, I'm curious how this all goes down, but AVX in its elements could happen. What do you think, Winston? Yeah, I mean, Coy, I'm curious to pick your brain about it too. Obviously, they're adapting it to what makes the most sense for them. I
Starting point is 00:07:38 am excited about it, but at the same time, that is such an epic storyline. and around the Phoenix so that makes me wonder if all of a sudden like if you're bringing in the Fox Marvel universe then the Phoenix is not the essentially the cosmic bird
Starting point is 00:07:57 that we're expecting. It is just some alter ego of gene not being able to control her powers so like that worries me a little bit like there's so much deeper because you've gone through the house of M it's not to say that I wouldn't be excited to see something like that happened
Starting point is 00:08:12 and I you know they did a good job of adapting civil war, but it does worry me a little bit because that story is just so good on its own. I just don't want to see it just get stripped for parts just to say we did Avengers versus X-Men. I would really like to actually see the story as it plays out because, like, for example, we're probably not getting that because Robert got brought in for Dr. Doom. There is an epic, epic fight between Iron Man and Magneto and AVX. That is so good, which makes you think immediately like, A-O, there's no. way that Tony is even like holding his own, but he finds a way to not only use an aloe that,
Starting point is 00:08:49 uh, that is not able to be magnetized. He summons like the power from Jupiter to like try and punch magnet. It's just wild. And so I, yeah, it's sorry, but you're right. It's got to be something that's earned, right? It's got to be something that you want to believe like, okay, yeah, I'm invested in it. It's not just like, well, we want to get you in the theater. So we're going to say it's X-Men versus Avengers.
Starting point is 00:09:13 But I do think it's going to be earned. And I think that it'll obviously because of Doom what he's going to do with, because you look at clearly these X-Men that we know from this universe are not the X-Men that are part of the universe that we have in the MCU, but they're going to be because of Doom. And Doom's going to bring one of the two into it. And then they're going to rival each other. One group will think they've got to do the right thing,
Starting point is 00:09:37 the other one not. And then they're going to have this thing. You're exactly right. It's going to be like whether it's, you know, Batman v. Superman, whatever these things are you're against each other first and then you're together congress godzilla same stuff and then they'll wind up being together and then have to battle it out battle with you know everybody else in secret invasion that's secret wars yeah that's exactly what i think will happen and i also think that it is a cool opportunity to see these characters on screen and and i think that the russo's will
Starting point is 00:10:04 handle that well because they handle ensembles well if you think about infinity war and endgame those three different storylines they juggle in both films like thanos is largely the lead of infinity war but there's multiple different arcs happening throughout than endgame even more so at the time travel and the different arcs happening throughout. So they're good at that. But this movie needs to get an Avengers team together, gets to, has to establish doom as a viable threat,
Starting point is 00:10:27 has to get us to the point where Secret Wars can happen. It has to do a lot beyond an AVX. So I can see that being one of the through lines and one of the ways we get the scope, but they really need to make sure that whatever tiny seed they plant in Fantastic Four pays off in a big way in the first act of Doom's Day in the same way that Thanos was the lead in Infinity World, Doom has to be a big factor.
Starting point is 00:10:48 How do you have time for all of that if you're focusing on Doom? So it's going to be interesting. I think he's going to be invested in all these characters. Yeah, I think he's going to be devastating. I think he's going to be devastating. I think a lot of, and Winston and I talked about this on the stream, a lot of people are going to die.
Starting point is 00:11:01 I think that Loki dies as a way to establish a power. Again? Well, if you think about it. Kenny from South Park now. Oh, my God, you killed Loki, you bastards. I think Kang had to die in order to show how powerful Doom was. Like, I think the original idea was Kang Dynasty was going to be a Kang movie
Starting point is 00:11:17 and then Doom was going to kill him at the end, leading to Secret Wars. Now that Kang isn't a factor or as big of one, I think bringing the god of stories in and having Doom take out something as omnipresent as Loki is the only way to show the power scale. It's like, is that literally how we started Infinity War? It's like, hey,
Starting point is 00:11:33 I'm so strong, bro. I'm going ahead. I'm a two-piece of Giscuit Hulk. I'm going to kill all the Asgardians and especially Loki who's really good at getting out of this stuff. Like, that is just, of the running gag to start stuff. How many times does Xavier die?
Starting point is 00:11:47 I mean, yeah, no, that's, you're not wrong. Wait a minute. What's the third time? He died in multiverse of madness most recently. He died of Logan. He died in Logan. I don't know if I count that one. He was just dying. That was, that was different.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Wait, oh, don't know, I'm not looking at. I'm not looking at it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Two were murder and one was of old age. I said died. I didn't say killed. He said die. Okay, fine. I meant specifically murder. All right. That's what I meant.
Starting point is 00:12:27 He didn't die of just old age and dementia. He got like ran through while dying of old age of dementia. Right. It was already dead. No, he was, he got murdered in Logan. He was. He was. dying. He was already...
Starting point is 00:12:42 He had psychic Alzheimer's. He was already going. There's no one that is going to agree with you on what you're saying right now. The man was killed by the other, Logan. No, no, no, no. I remember, but I'm just saying he had psychic Alzheimer's. It was already over for him.
Starting point is 00:13:00 But like, we're all dying. If he'd get killed, it's still early. He's back checking. I'm not back checking. I'm just at this point, I realized I had stepped in it, so I'm just rolling with you got double down. They just brought him back without explaining it. Remember, like, everybody died in that in the bed and then like, beep, beep, like he just came back.
Starting point is 00:13:20 So, like, if anyone's going to rival Loki, it's going to be Xavier who's also in it. Well, either way, and then it does the other part of the article that I want to dive into is that it talks about the Rousse was kind of carry it over. I think that what people have been worried about with this movie is that, okay, we will we really have in the same way that Infinity War was this culmination of all these movies that led into this epic saga, right? We don't have that right now, right? And everyone's expecting, well, wait a minute, I don't have all these movies that have gotten me locked into this.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Well, it's just like any other movie series, really, just because we're so accustomed to have in the MCU, what you need to do now, if you're the Roos, is give me a little setup and Fantastic Four, but once I get to Doomsday, give me a great movie. That's a part one. Part two is essentially going to be Spider-Man,
Starting point is 00:14:06 and then part Spider-Man-4, because whatever happens is going to be that lead-up. So there's got to be the events of that is going to play into it. That's probably now it does make sense, Koi, why they wanted to do the grand scale multiverse version of this instead of grounded. Because if you did a grounded Spider-Man, as much as we want that, if you do a grounded Spider-Man right after all the huge things that happens doesn't work. It doesn't work.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Also, Daniel Destin Kretton was given the Avengers 4 movie and then got moved to Spider-Man for. So I think they're planning a big thing for him in particular. It's part two of this thing. And then part three is Secret Wars, which then leads us into getting into the roost. Yeah, taking the roosters. And it's like a soft reboot and like, okay, they set it here.
Starting point is 00:14:52 You'll still get Avengers that pop into these things here and there, right? But you're going to really focus on Fantastic Four and the X-Men, as we have all thought that they should be doing. Yeah. Or this is the direction they need to go. simplify, but still have enough that you know what you're doing. I'm excited for the future of Marvel. And I also think that, you know, Secret Wars can bring in the first class team that I love and all those characters.
Starting point is 00:15:16 They can bring in Sony characters. They can bring in Ghost Rider. I think there is a scaling that's going to happen and then a clean-ish slate. But I think we're finally course correcting to a way that like, clearly superhero fatigue isn't real. 27 million people watch the chairs. That shit is crazy, bro. So let's talk about that real quick because this is this is what I'm confused about. Someone wrote this and said this is Christian, you were wrong, 275 million how you feel.
Starting point is 00:15:44 I don't really know what that means because Winston, when we were on, because this is the thing, 27 million views, 50 hours trending topics, 27 years, 27 years, 27 chairs, felt like 27 years, 27 chairs, five hours, one massive thing. We never said it wasn't going to do well. We never said no one's going to watch us. We, no, what we said. How were we wrong? No, no, no, I think this is what it was.
Starting point is 00:16:07 I know that we both. I did certainly while you were gone. We both were like, bro, this is it? This is what y'all doing? Like, for real, who signed off on this? Like, what person, et cetera, et cetera? Now, mind you, we both said at the same time, we have X amount of people watching on this stream.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Look at all the people that are watching it on YouTube. Look at the millions that are watching on Twitter. We weren't denying that it was being talked about for five hours straight. Bad presentation. It just like two things can be true at the same time, bro. You could sit here and go, wow, that was actually the highest rated Oscars we've ever seen. It also was a shitty show. Like, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:16:46 Like they both. Yeah, it's still, I stand by the fact that it could, it should have been handled differently. I mean, the fact that it did a lot of views doesn't mean that it was handled well. I mean, Corey, do you disagree with that? I don't disagree with what. I don't disagree that you can have something not be good and do well. Drake is popular, but I also think that. but I also think that it is intentionally something that is being discussed because of the style of it.
Starting point is 00:17:10 So I think done well or numbers are opinion, right? Like if this wasn't five hours of looking at chairs, it would have been an hour of something that we would probably not be talking about later in the week. Right. So I think the boldness of its absurdity is part of the gift of it. Doesn't mean I enjoyed five hours of it. And I left and came back and did other stuff. But it was effective. So that is its own win.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Yeah, I mean, it was. And I think we said as much. We said, look, this is the thing. Everyone is talking about this. It is continuously, everyone keeps tuning into it. It's all anyone was talking about in pop culture. We said that while we're on the stream. For a whole day of news and now a week.
Starting point is 00:17:53 So if you are looking at measuring success by saying, hey, we want people talking about us. We want watch hours. We want all that stuff. Yes, you've succeeded. 100% you've succeeded. And you've gotten people excited about the cast. It's a good cast. It doesn't change the fact that it was a very boring and the way that they did it
Starting point is 00:18:14 could have been handled so much differently. Even if they kept it for the five hours they did, they could have had pictures. They could have had more visual. They could have done so much. Like literally, like just the little things that we were doing during the stream. So at one point, somebody in the comments, like, and I'll say this, I had a good time with the audience that was on the stream.
Starting point is 00:18:35 It doesn't mean I wasn't annoyed by like, we're really going to wait 12 to 15 minutes per chair here. We started doing a thing and Christian had to message me to be like, don't get us hit with a copyright strike. And we did, by the way. I'm sorry. It's right. I got rid of it.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Okay. But we started doing like a fake NFL draft. So like after they're like, oh, and up next, you know, Tom Brady is getting drafted and then be like, Tom Brady, you know, he went to University of Michigan. These were the different, like, if you had had even just a little something, where like you put down, say, Paul Rudd's chair and then like something pops up with like a draft stats of like, Ant Man, these movies, these villains, like just a little something production value to keep
Starting point is 00:19:13 somebody like, oh, that's cool. And you get to see the stuff he's done. That would have just been a little minor thing that wouldn't have cost you all that much money to keep people engaged. That's the point someone someone just made it in this cost them nothing to do. And they made so much money. And they made a lot of money doing it. So is it a, was it a smart business thing? Yeah, it was. It just was dull and we all watched it. And people were saying, Oh, you're watching it. Why you complain about it?
Starting point is 00:19:37 You can't do it. You're not allowed to critique things. You're not allowed to have anything. You're not talking about it. It's like, yeah, it sucks. But I'm still going to watch it because I want to know who the cast is. I'm still excited about the movie. Doesn't mean that.
Starting point is 00:19:49 What do you want me to do? You can't win. You can't win because if I'm going, yeah, chair. They go, chill. Chill. What the fuck are you doing with the chairs? Oh, shit up. You're still watching it.
Starting point is 00:20:00 It's like you can't win either way. So it's like, yes, we can critique it and say as a presentation, it was terrible. But as far as views and success and marketing, it turned out to be brilliant. It really did. It turned out to be brilliant. It was lazy, but it turned out to be brilliant. It changed how I see directors chairs. It's an immediate meme.
Starting point is 00:20:21 It got all of pop culture talking. It has like memes about it with other names. Like it is one of those cultural moments and it cost them $7. Like that's an amazing feat. And it also just for me as a comic fan, I was happy to see that even the negativity was still like engagement. The superhero bubble has not burst if this many millions of people are making it their whole news week. I think it's great.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Yeah. Someone brought it up and Ed just brought it up. We were watching this thing and 2,000 people. We are consistently between 2,000, 3,000 people watching live and the whole stream did over 110,000 views. Right. And that's like, that was. Of course, people would just want to know again, hey, we're here, we're talking about it. We are having conversations about it.
Starting point is 00:21:07 And that's what people wanted to watch. And that's people we wanted to do it. And it was, it wasn't, it was the newsday. So it's like it wasn't, was it an absolute fail as far as success for what they were doing? No, it was a win. It was a big win. But as far as how I think they still got fans and went like, watch what these guys do. They'll watch this.
Starting point is 00:21:27 We're just going to shoot chairs, make them watch chairs. and everybody did. We all went to the DMV together. Yes. It almost what it feels like, to be honest with you, because now they've, in my opinion, it feels like they've gameed us twice. First, you had the leaks that came out a couple weeks ago
Starting point is 00:21:44 and being like, and everybody's like, wait, this is what, oh, dude, that's going to be kind of fire. Like, I would F with that. And you got people like all of a sudden not being like, oh, they're scrambling. They went and got Robert. They're scrambling. They got the Rousseau's.
Starting point is 00:21:58 And then you did this. which same thing the Russo's were able to kind of go if it was them behind it or whoever is have the whole situation of oh we went really simple we went really simple and look what we're able to do and i think that if anything it was not so much look at all the money we just made you as it was to tell everybody the board whoever at disney we got this and now all of a sudden they're like well they got the high look at everyone's talking about it everybody's talking about that movie everybody's talking about that movie right now and now now you're they have to deliver with trailers and now they have to deliver with, you know, some more things as the lead up, but they have people's interest with the film itself. So that was an overall win. Now, whatever they're going to wind up doing with the actual story,
Starting point is 00:22:42 whether it's X-Men versus Avengers, we will find out. Coy, I got good news and bad news. I'm going to give the bad news first. You're ready? Ready. So you know how much we love trade.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Yes. I really wish you were in the room. This is out of control. And the reason why people haven't opened yet, I have like four bags. And this is what I've been using to tell people. I was just bragging. He's like, I got so much.
Starting point is 00:23:03 I can't. And it's the best every morning. So, and I'll continue to use them forever. Now, the good news is that I have a nice bag of trade here. And the other news is that this week people have been buying. The bad news is that they have pulled the sponsorships because no one was buying them. So this. But now it's working too late.
Starting point is 00:23:22 But no, not necessarily. That's why I'm telling people about trade for this is, I might wind up trying to do it another way I give him a free spot this week. That's how bad I want them back. I want people to get them. So I'm going to tell them people about trade. The links to the description. I'll tell you about trade.
Starting point is 00:23:37 We'll come right back. I have been in absolute heaven with trade coffee being back. I have their new mug that they gave me. I've got a whole big bag of coffee that I've been whole beans. Oh, I love trade coffee. It really is just legendary. So if you don't have it, you should. Because for me, I have a familiar routine.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Coffee for me is the first thing in the morning. It is what I need to start the day. I need those cups. I have two cups in the morning and I have my whole bean from trade and I just love it. Coffee is important to me. Trade is the number one U.S. specialty coffee marketplace. It brings your fresh coffee from over 50 countries' top roasters. Trade's experts have taste tested thousands of coffees to curate over 450 amazing roasts.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Whether you're new to coffee or you know your favorites, they'll handpick the perfect coffee for you. Just take their quiz and in under a minute they'll match you with your perfect coffee. If that first bag isn't quite right, no problem. Trade replaces it for free until they nail it. And trust me, they're going to nail it. Their prices are on par with grocery store brands, but the quality, next level. Plus, you're supporting your local roasters. It really is a win-win.
Starting point is 00:24:44 There's a dark roast that I really like. I love the way it smells. And even Mike Kalinowski doesn't even drink coffee. Starting point is 00:25:15 Trade. Please let them know that I sent you because I don't know how much longer that code's going to work. So make sure you use that code now while you still can. Trade coffee. We're glad that we're have them while we do um so there's some other things too that people were dare double we really talked about dare double yeah we haven't i'm shocked i am so shocked that people aren't like i saw somebody say how boring the show was i think that person's crazy i think the person's crazy i respect the opinion but i think they're crazy i i love absolutely love this show my buddy texted me after i posted like an excited review and he's like dude i totally agree it's been so weird seeing all the hate and like again valid opinions it just it's one of those things that i like it's one of those things that i like
Starting point is 00:25:56 enough that if you don't like it, I probably just fundamentally disagree about stuff with you. So it just changes my life. I wouldn't take that person's take as seriously because it's like so my dish. It's, you know, I'm enjoying it. I just think that I was so blown away by Severance and the pit. And I, because I think I just finished watching season three of the OG Daredevil show, like into it, I am not on that same tier of like, holy crap, but I'm definitely like, I'm enjoying myself. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:26:33 So like that, that's it. I think Severance really broke my brain as far as where I'm at with TV this year. Yeah. But I'm still really enjoying it. I'll be honest with you. I think my two favorite episodes were three and five so far. Yeah, so someone said they didn't even like five. I liked five.
Starting point is 00:26:49 I thought it felt like a one shot comic and a palette cleanser. and it was said someone said it was like inside man but yeah really great you're describing greatness yeah i like the lot and the other move and the other and i like six i thought six was great i thought six finally essentially showed what this show is yeah it told you exactly the the essence of what the show is so i'm i'm not on board with the with the people who don't who don't dig it i'm i'm standing by it although it doesn't seem it seems like we're in the minority again on this one for sure i am just happy it's back. Like, it's one of those things where I never thought we'd get it. I was like to big, I was big on the saved Daredevil campaign. And like I started hosting at large with season one.
Starting point is 00:27:31 So I felt like this has been the trajectory. And it was gone for seven years. So I don't know. This to me, I don't expect it to be Netflix. I expected to be Daredevil. I'm getting Daredevil. It feels like a volume four with a new creative team. Like when I'm reading a comic for four years, it's going to change teams often. And I'm happy that the new one's not a letdown. But I understand people that love the Netflix show, not having that kind of expectation or not being in the comic mind about it. And personally, like, I don't compare it to, you know, your Apple Plus stuff, which is my favorite, like my favorite streamer at Apple's Apple's Apple. The studio is exceptional. But I wouldn't expect something that's beholden to IP to be able to take the risks the studio
Starting point is 00:28:12 does. Because every time I watch the studio, I'm like, how do they get away with this? So it's kind of a tricky thing where I accept it's kind of tethered to something, while giving it a little bit more leeway, but I don't want to give it so much leeway that I'm just blindly loving it. So I do have some critiques, but I like it a lot. Totally. And I think someone said there's a, I do think that the tie-in to the MCU in episode five was kind of shoehorned in there.
Starting point is 00:28:37 I agree with that. I think it, I'm like, when they were doing it, I was like, they're letting you know, oh, this is this part of it. And you're like, oh, okay, it didn't bother me as much as it bothered this person, but it still was like, it felt a little forced. I get that, but I guess the thing that we needed to do anyway, we got back to the show. We had yet to find a way to bridge the gap.
Starting point is 00:28:59 And I'm not even going to say towards She-Hulk because people will riot, but more towards like no way home. So the daredevil Matt Murdoch that we saw that's catching bricks through a window. Well, he says it twice because he does it, he does it call back to that. Exactly. And I think that that was the point. I think it was the point to be like,
Starting point is 00:29:16 how do we have what is a much darker? this man is trying to suppress his rage and his violence, how do we tie that to what is going to be kind of co-fighting with Spider-Man and others? Yeah. You know, you kind of needed to be able to do that. And I think that that is why we sort of got a lot of this, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:37 But either way, bummed that people aren't digging it as much as I am, but either way, you know, we mentioned a lot, I had mentioned in the opening guys that with all, the chairs and everything too obviously we're getting the x-men one of the other things that we saw pretty much all the all the thunderbolts the majority of thunderbolts you which is such a bomber man i i know they got to like announce and have the hype be big but like i wanted thunderbolts to have some stakes yeah we know we know sebastian sand lives obviously which we thought he was not going to um other things too i had set up top i feel like because remember that that because look even this
Starting point is 00:30:12 look at the little asteris at the end they're the new avengers right i think it's going to be called dark Avengers. I think so. There'll be dark Avengers by the time it's over. I think that's what they're going to title. This is who, so are they fighting the X-Men? Is that what this is? Is that, are they the Avengers fighting the X-Men? I don't know,
Starting point is 00:30:31 but I think they're going to be the Avengers. That's, that's what I think that that little asterisk is still there. While the final runtime has also been revealed along with the early box office forecast and new promo art, be now an official runtime for the Thunderbolts along with early box office forecast and some new
Starting point is 00:30:47 cinema, popcorn bucket promo art featuring the team. Following a recent report that the Marvel Studio Thunderbolts will likely clock in around 120 minutes, good runtime. We now have confirmation that the next MCU movie has a fairly standard runtime of two hour, six minutes. Love that. We also have a box office forecast for box office theory.com keeping in mind, we are still over a month from release, so we'll get a far more accurate prediction once the movie's tracking. For now, the site is estimated the Thunderbolts will take in between 67 to 82 domestically over the course of its opening weekend.
Starting point is 00:31:17 This wouldn't be as, it wouldn't be a bad result for a movie with a relatively modest budget, 180 minus additional cost. That's crazy. That's a modest budget now, especially when you take into account that the Thunderbolts is a fairly obscure property without any major A-list, stars, Florence, Pugh, and Sebastian Stan, by far the biggest names. Main cast of the movie minus Olga Kerlinco, obviously were confirmed to return for Dooms Day during Marvel's recent five-hour chat party. It's another thing. Okay. So she going to die.
Starting point is 00:31:47 I'm still putting money on that, bro. You trailers, the chairs. You're not even pretending that she's not going to die. And that part frustrates me a little bit. I'm going to be honest with you. Not because I'm like, you know, justice for taskmaster, but just like you are removing some of the stakes of your own stuff
Starting point is 00:32:07 in the way you're doing things. That just stop telegraphing what's, going to potentially happen one way. Now, there's always a possibility that maybe, look, she's not a big of enough star, so we're just not going to tell you she's one of the chairs, because a lot of people think that even Robert doing this is implying that there are more people to come in the... I think we're getting a second video, and it'd be funny if they, like, opened it with her. Like, I'd be... At this point, I expect, like, your Monica Rambo's and your Angela Bassett's, and, like, there were a lot more men this batch than women, and I think there's a lot
Starting point is 00:32:40 women that are going to be announced and women, but like, it'd be funny if they opened with her to be like, no, no, it's, it's, we were trolling. But at the end of the day, this is the biggest, like, serialized announcement I felt in a while. Like, I talk a lot about movies needing to be contained, like Marvel phase one that built to something. And more and more, it feels like episode 32 of Marvel, not a movie. And to me, this announcement felt a lot like this is announcing episode 37 and kind of giving way the end of episode 36. And, and that's a bit of, of a bit of a bummer but i get i get why i understand i'm just acknowledging again there's no way to win i'm acknowledging my particular qualm with it yeah i think that i i'm with you on that quam
Starting point is 00:33:22 to be honest like i just the second when i don't know if winston was on with me when it when it happened no he wasn't but sebastian stan pot with that chair came up and i was like well he lives there were other things they revealed too and i saw someone right and they said that um because letitia right was announced and they said oh it looks like they're using her for black panther again not doesn't necessarily mean that they're still not doing the variant of tochala that doesn't right doesn't mean that this means that she when we left off she was still black panther so we could probably i still think we're going to get the chala um variant that's it also would be very stupid that the way you decide to announce your new to chala is to put a director's to you if you
Starting point is 00:34:02 want to talk about an actual f up that would have been a massive massive F up too to announce Tachala via a director's chair. Like forgetting Angela Bassett died, I'm sorry, audience. I was wondering when you said it. I was like, did you just pull a me from 20 minutes ago? I didn't double down, though. I just accepted my face. But I think that, you know, that was some of the things that people were saying.
Starting point is 00:34:28 I wish to, and we might have even said that too. We wish that they would have actually waited to show us Patrick Stewart and Alan coming. But the thing is, that means they are cruised. part of the story that when you see the trailer there you can't hide them from it like he's like why do you just reveal it in the movie because they probably are an integral part of the story now if it's something like tachala showing up whoever whether it's a variant or or recasting you know the role that there are going to be surprises there are absolutely going to be surprises they're going to be
Starting point is 00:34:58 people who are not announced that are going to show up and chris heaven saying he's not going to be in it of course he's going to be in of course i think there's no world where elizabeth olson doesn't show up either. I think you need, I think that was the point is like, we're not going to give you the whole farm, but we are going to give you something enough to go, holy shit, and then that's it. And so then Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olson, Paul Bettney, now all of a sudden, now all of a sudden, you're like, oh, bet, you did give us something to tease us, and now we have something else, you know? What do you guys think about the box office prediction as far as, And it is funny that that's a modest budget now, 180. But it's like the fact that they're trying to get between 60 to 80, Corey, you think this is, you think they're going to get more hype behind? Do you think it'll overperform that number? I think it'll clear.
Starting point is 00:35:54 I think it'll be right at or clear 100. I'm going to say 90 to 105. I just feel like a lot of people in our circles, which aren't the traditional moviegoer, but are kind of a, a hype beast of the moviegoer have all been like, I feel like Thunderbolt's going to surprise people. Like there's this undercurrent in the commentary space of, but Thunderbolts might be our weird dark horse of the year. So to me, it's going to do that.
Starting point is 00:36:21 And then Word of Mouth is going to build that weekend. I think there's going to be enough big pops in it that people that weren't maybe opening weekend people are going to become opening weekend people. I honestly think it's going to be the big. Fantastic Four is going to do box office numbers bigger. But I think Thunderbolts is going to be the biggest. surprise of expectations of delivery. I think it's going to be the best quality movie at a Marvel this year.
Starting point is 00:36:42 I think it's going to be the best. I think that it will probably make, I think opening weekend between 80 and 85 is where I think it's going to go. I think about that. But if it is as good as we hope it will be, then it'll probably have a good second weekend, which is what it'll need to do. So, yeah, anyway, all right, what do you guys think about all this? Put your thoughts in there.
Starting point is 00:37:02 I want to know. we are right now about 20 away before I tell my my Jake Paul story at 30 right now so that's good see Corey look magic mind's not even on the show today not even on the show the same thing I did the same thing during the street he loves magic mine he loves it because again
Starting point is 00:37:22 you know what let him know I'll put it I'll do it anyway clip it out for him let him know this is just me just me having a moment this is what I call 1140 a.m. Yeah it's the best so just to show you that he actually It's not a matter of like, oh, this is the Magic Round episode. He's drinking it every day. Anyway, let's go D.C. Adria Ajona, who could do anything, and I'd be totally okay with that,
Starting point is 00:37:43 responds to fan campaign for her to play the D.C. is Wonder Woman. Andrea Ajoina, who has been a fan favorite choice to play Wonder Woman in the DCU for a while, and the Minecraft star has now responded to the online campaigns. She's in Minecraft also? I'm going to see that on Sunday. Help me on. You're trying it now.
Starting point is 00:38:04 Yeah, well, I'm taking my little one into the city with me, so that'll be fun. We still don't know very much about James Gunn and Peter Safran's plan if they even have one. Whoa. Whoa. Okay, for Wonder Woman in the DCU, but it's highly unlikely that Galgadoadot will be reprising the role after making several appearances as Amazon and hero in the snare verse before. Before it was announced that the DCEU was being rebooted. Third Wonder Woman was in the early stages of development with Patty Jenkins set to direct. However, things changed when or before, depending on who.
Starting point is 00:38:32 who you believe Gunn and Safran took over as co-heads of DC Studios and the three-cool was shelved. According to this ad that keeps spinning around here, get out of here. I'm tired of you. I'd like you to leave. Thank you so much. It didn't work. According to one report, the initial plan was to move forward with the project under the DCU banner, but it was actually Jenkins who decided to walk away after receiving notes on the treatment she submitted to the studio.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Seems WB higher-ups weren't completely sole on her page. pitch, which was said to contain character arc problems, which rivaled that of Wonder Woman 1984. Ouch. Later, Godot claimed that she was still set to return as Diana for Wonder Woman 3, but the trades refuted this. Gunn hasn't personally weighed in, but we'd be very surprised the Snow White Star picks up the lasso of truth again. Several actresses have since emerged as fan favorite picks to take over the role, but the most popular choice seems to be Hitman and Andor Astor, Andrea Ajona. While signing autographs at the Mexico City premiere of Minecraft movie earlier this week,
Starting point is 00:39:36 Arjona was asked about the rumor that she might be in line to play at Wonder Woman. The actress shrugged before gesturing to her phone and asking fans to write about it. Help me. We have no idea if Arjona is actually in consideration for the role with speculation that she may have at least taken a meeting about a mountain. When it came to light, she was dating Jason Mamoa, who will make his DCU debut as Lobo in Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow. I'm not sure why these things would necessarily be related, but such as the internet. It's definitely related. And we'll talk about that just a second.
Starting point is 00:40:04 There are no current plans, as far as we know, for any incarnation of a Wonder Woman in the first chapter of the DCU slate, gods and monsters, but a Max TV series titled Paradise Lost in development, whether it ever sees a light of the day is another matter. We'll focus on a Game of Thrones type story. Okay. So first things first, would she be a good Wonder Woman? I think she'd be fantastic. I think she would be fantastic to either one of you disagree.
Starting point is 00:40:31 The only thing that it would ever come to mind for me is potentially the height situation. But I mean, how many times we put Tom Cruise and things and we just make him look taller than he is? So on top of the fact that on the reverse, you know, Wolverine should be significantly shorter. And you put Hugh Jackman with his, you know, hulking, what is he, 6'3 as like in as Logan for over 20 years. So we'll get over that. you know, because I've already made you can make 5-7 look taller, you can. I've already started to try and make my piece
Starting point is 00:41:02 with the whole storm situation because I also think she needs to be like a goddess Amazon of a woman and it sounds like we're probably not getting that. All that being said, if you're just talking about her straight acting and action ability, I mean, she crushes and she's gorgeous, which is also something
Starting point is 00:41:19 that Diane is supposed to be. So I'm here for all of it. Boy? Between hitman and every bit of interview work she's done for Andor and just her overall presence all about it. I, you know, it wasn't the movie that I'd want to have associated, but I interviewed her a bunch of times for Morbius. And she is sweetheart, right? Absolute delight. Like she is such a compassionate kind. Like, you know, when people are aggressively attractive, you just assume they're not going to be nice because they're so pretty. You're like, they can't have it all.
Starting point is 00:41:50 She's got it all. She's the best. I had like, she's funny. She's kind. I enjoyed her presence. And then like she's distractingly beautiful. Which to me is Wonder Woman. Like,
Starting point is 00:41:59 Wonder Woman looks like, you know, I don't know if that's safe to talk to her. She's got a sword. And then she's like the kindest. She's kind of, she definitely has that softness to the show. You know what I really want to see?
Starting point is 00:42:08 And I really hope it happens is that Adrian is Wonder Woman. And then Brandon Sklinar is Batman. Brendan Scunar is Batman. I like Alan Richardson. He's great. Not Batman. that guy he he's he could be great as even if they did aquaman or anything else he's not bad man
Starting point is 00:42:24 two damn big and he's he's just not bad man you'd see him coming on mile away and there's no way if that big ass bruce wayne's walking down you're like you're batman i mean but wouldn't that also be kind of funny though like in a certain sort of way because because there's something we say about that sometimes with superman especially depending on how he's depicted a lot of times he is like a farm boy with like jacks and they're like Well, someone said, someone said Shazam. That's great. That actually would be a really good, because he's very funny.
Starting point is 00:42:56 He's actually hysterical. That would be really good. You can see them, you know, with him, Billy, you know, turning into it and him actually acting like, not like a four-year-old when he's supposed to be playing an 18-year-old. They actually play like an 18-year-old. But like, he will be, he'd be great in that. But again, because I've been, 1923 is the show I'm watching with my wife. We've been watching this show since it started.
Starting point is 00:43:19 I said it a long time ago. I thought this guy was a star, and now everyone's kind of catching on it too, which I'm so happy about. The guy just has that thing. He's just got the thing. But her, she's great. Now, I want to address the thing that they said about Jason Mamoa,
Starting point is 00:43:33 and are they still dating? As far as I know. Okay. So does it mean because she's dating Lobo that she's going to get the role? Of course it doesn't. Does it mean she can get a meeting? Of course it does.
Starting point is 00:43:47 Of course it does. Jason Mamoa, who is very close to James Gunn, like, hey, can you see her for, see her for the role? She wants to play the role. Can you, can you get her audition? That's how it works. It's connections. 100%. If he doesn't do it, your shit boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Like, unless, unless she's like, no, I want to do it on my own. I'll have my agent do it. Well, then whatever. But why wouldn't you have, do me favor, make a call. Get me in the room. And let me do it. Let me speak for myself and show them what I can do. But I want the role.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Can you get me a meeting? Paul James. Again, she should do it. And Jason Momola probably, all right, yeah, I'll make the call for you. Get in there and kill it. And what I love is that it's a situation where, you know, they were both already established in their careers and it's not like the resume isn't there. So no matter what happens, like whether she ever gets an audition or not, I don't know. This is one of those moments where like, I'm speaking as coy, the DC Comics fan. But no matter what happens, it's really a testament to her work in Andor and all those things. And then if she gets in the door, hell yeah. But like, I think it's a great opportunity and I love this take yeah um all right so let's go we'll do some more DC stuff because
Starting point is 00:44:52 we got some other things um you're speaking it well I don't want to do this one because there's there's a i guess there's a Superman is rumored to have some unique plans for jimmy olson in the DCU movie I really want to mess with that because I don't really want to know anything about it I just what we can talk about we haven't really discussed here is that we're going to have um they're going to show like five minutes of this movie in Thailand uh they're going to show They're going to show the trailer. The trailer's coming up. Like, isn't CinemaCon?
Starting point is 00:45:20 Like, cinema con's next week. I'm going literally leaving Monday. Are you shit? You know what? Is that, are you covering for real rejects? Rejects and me. Because I have,
Starting point is 00:45:31 I had, I should have tried to get the transferred over to where, like, given Winston my past because I can't make it. Where is it again? It's Vegas. Yeah. That's the thing that is that it's not that I could.
Starting point is 00:45:42 I chose not to go because of, you know, I had to balance out which was going to be more. more, you know, if he's going to lose more business here if I left or is going to gain more when I went there and with everything, travel and all that stuff, it just, I missing shows with Sam and missing live shows here. So just won't be able to do it. But, oh, someone said that Jimmy Olson story is fake anyway. So good. So I won't read it. But the five minutes is going to be before some Thailand, they're going to show five minutes of Superman. I think it's a
Starting point is 00:46:10 marketing thing. I understand that. I get it. And I think that's it. Oh, no. Let's Here's another one. This is going to get everybody. There's one. This is the last one we'll do. We'll do this one. Because this one to me is interesting. And I can't, I don't think this is going to be a true story at all, but we're going to read it nonetheless. Okay. How about this? Rumor, Snow White Star Rachel Zegler and former Wonder Woman Galgado could reunite in the MCU. What? According to a new rumor, Snow White, Rachel Zegler, and Galgado are being eyed for roles in the MCU. Snow White was released in theaters last week into largely negative reviews and disappointing 86.1 at the worldwide box office.
Starting point is 00:46:51 The movie is unlikely to turn a profit, but should remain at number one heading into next week. Much has been said about what happened behind the scenes. Recent story from Variety has largely been written off as a hit piece meant to lay the blame for Snow White's falling at Rachel's Eggler's feet. Despite being framed as somewhat controversial figure, it's hard to deny that she's somewhat contributed to that. a live-action Disney movie is unlikely to drill Zegler's career. As for Godot, her work in front of the camera is being criticized is nothing new. Today, my time to shine a low brings word that Snow White stars Rachel Ziegler and Galgado are both being eyed for big roles in the MCU. This type of rumor has become the norm in recent years, and we have no doubt that Marvel Studios has a near endless list of actors they'd be open to working with somewhere down the line.
Starting point is 00:47:34 Zegler and Godot potentially being on the list isn't a huge surprise, especially they're in the Disney family. Ziegler is no stranger to superhero fair. She was in Shazam Fury of the Gods. She was Wonder Woman, yada, yada, yada. We first learned of Ziegleth, potentially being in the running for an MCU role last November. This is the first time we've heard about Godot, potentially joining the MCU family. Okay. I think this story is horseshit.
Starting point is 00:48:00 It's absolute horseshit. I think there's no chance if you're Disney right now, you touch this. I've said it a million times over. I'll say it again. I think Rachel Zeglerler is a very talented actress. I think she's a great singer. I think she is not someone you want to hire right now if you're a big studio. Because what they said inside of this thing where the stuff that she's been doing on social is the is more of what it is.
Starting point is 00:48:30 It's not like you can hire. You can hire. She can deliver the role. She's going to deliver on it. The question is when you're trying to promote, especially Marvel right now, if you're trying to get back on track, do you want the distraction? of a political back and forth. She's a political figure right now. That's what she is.
Starting point is 00:48:45 She's a political figure. Whether you support her or don't support her, she brings a big political conversation the same way if you turn on either CNN or Fox, you're going to get the same kind of thing. She's a political figure right now. And if I'm Disney and Marvel, I don't want that right now.
Starting point is 00:48:59 I want, it's like there are a lot of talented actors and actresses out there that I can get that are safe. And right now you've got to be safe. I don't think it's a smart move to bring her on. I just don't. But what do you think, Um, no, you don't, you stay away from both of them. Um, you, you, you, you're having a situation right now, both from a political standpoint, but you're also getting a number of people that have fully turned on gal where they're, they're like this whole time, we've just been quiet about her acting. But now of a sudden, that has been a major point where a lot of people are like, no, I don't, I don't, I don't think she's very good one way or the other. So I just think that those are two, you would, you would get, you would honestly.
Starting point is 00:49:41 almost have better clout at this particular juncture trying to bring back Jonathan Majors than trying to involve either one of them in the MCU. And that's saying something because that also is a lightning rod you don't want to go near right now. Yeah, and someone brought this up Koi in the chat, and I agree 100%.
Starting point is 00:49:55 She's crushing on Broadway right now, if you didn't know that. Rachel Ziegler? Rachel's crushing on Broadway right now. She's getting grave reviews and the Romeo and Juliet, she's crushing. She's, and she could have a, this type of thing would not hurt her at all
Starting point is 00:50:09 in Broadway box office, at all. people people will go and see i think she sticks with broadway for a while and i think you know depends like i said i just think some people just have to pick up that phone and start going i think it is it's it's it's bad business in my opinion anyway coy thoughts i used to have that itch to get on twitter and i'm so glad it's left me occasionally i slip but i feel bad for like you know the giant platformed people that you know they have a voice and want to use it but then the the ramifications of the studios become tricky because it is the, you know, my own personal beliefs versus consequences box office wise because we live in a world where saying anything is going
Starting point is 00:50:51 offend 50% of people. So I do not envy people that have strong beliefs that are in the public eye. And I think that that has consequences. Like actions have consequences. And it's exhausting to be in 2025 and be attacked by the internet. and to be attached to the internet. So I hope she enjoys Broadway and she can find joy in not tweeting. It's doubtful. But anyway, so we got some stuff to talk about.
Starting point is 00:51:22 We got some questions that you guys have posted. So we're going to get to those in just a bit. Before we do, I have to tell you, I've been telling you all week about both draft kings and Stitch Fix. If you haven't heard about them, you're going to hear about them again. They are wonderful. Ends April 27. and 2025 at 1159 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Let's talk about Stitch Fix. Now, I told you guys about them last week. I'm going to tell you about them again.
Starting point is 00:52:51 Why? Because shopping, it's not the easiest. I found a much better way because Stitch Fix online personal styling has made it so much easier for me. I cannot stand shopping. I hate it. Even when I'm figuring out my sizes, stores, they just don't seem to have everything that I want in stock.
Starting point is 00:53:06 And the crowds, you know me with people. I get annoyed fast. So who has the time to shop anyway? Stitch Fix, you get a stylist who understands your style, they understand your size, they understand your budget. That's the most important thing. They do all the shopping for you. Shopping and figuring out style, it can be overwhelming.
Starting point is 00:53:21 So when it comes to getting dressed, it's hard for me to even figure out where to get started. And that's why I love having Stitch Fix, the stylist. It really knows what works. So I can get pieces to make me look great, and it's a confidence boost. I love it. My wife was like, oh, you're putting outfits together. And I didn't say anything except, yeah, yeah, I do. on my own. She knows, though. She knows everything. Anyway, no stores, no crowds, no stress,
Starting point is 00:53:43 just personalized looks that you will love. Stitch Fix makes it all very easy. You can make style easy. You can get started today. You got to go to Stitchfix.com slash KHS. Pretty easy. Stitchfix.com slash KHS. Thanks, Stitch Fix. Thank you, Stitch Fix indeed. And thank you to Jeff Kings. Make sure you want to help out the show. that's how you do it go in the link in the description all right gentlemen two things one currently we're at 39 which is good Winston's still out of frame is part two part three is still out of frame part four is that we have 40 40 questions so far so we're 10 away story but before we get to any of those questions uh you both got a lot going on the channel
Starting point is 00:54:32 core what do you got going on the channel uh so i am going for cinema con next week i'm going to try to cover each and every panel after the panel. So we're getting exclusive trailers, exclusive footage from movies, lots of big announcements. I will be there all week doing individual panel reviews. So keep an eye off for that. Also doing all my dare double coverage over my page, also reviewing the major movie coming out every weekend. Also covering lots of TV. So if you like a barrage of content plus comic books reading 50 to 70 week and reviewing my top nine,
Starting point is 00:54:59 check out my page. We're at like 45, 46K. I want to get 50 when I hit 50 doing a 50 comic giveaway. I'm mailing one of my folks. comics of my own collection. So please follow me so I can get that 50 mark. Winston A. Marshall. The big thing is the big thing. And that is that I'm doing a marathon stream this Sunday, the 30th. I'll be going from 10 a.m. Pacific time to 10 p.m. 12 hours, man. We were doing everything from playing split fiction, the hit game, Marvel rivals,
Starting point is 00:55:30 doing some Assassin's Creed. I'm going to be doing a watch-alongs. I'm going to have special guests. It's going to be a good time. And I'm setting up the tier. structures of if we, this is essentially a fundraiser I'm doing for the repair of my car and everything like that. So we've got, I've got different things that we'll do as we hit certain goals. It's going to be a good time. Pop in like it's the marble chairs, pop out, do what it is. Let's see over there. Yeah, so go and check it out, guys, and support the Capes and Cal's crew. My perfect day has sand, saltwater, and friends, but my moderate to severe plaquesoriasis can take me out of the moment. Now I'm all in with clear.
Starting point is 00:56:07 clearer skin thanks to Sky Rizzi. Rizzen Kizimat Rizza, a prescription only 150 milligram injection for adults who are candidates for systemic or phototherapy. With Sky Rizzi, most people saw 90% clearer skin and many were even 100% plaque-free at four months. Sky Rizzi is just four doses a year after two starter doses. Don't use if allergic to Sky Rizzi, serious allergic reactions, increased infections, or lower ability to fight them may occur. Before treatment get checked for infections and tuberculosis, tell your doctor about any flu, blue-like symptoms or vaccines. Thanks to Skyrizi, there's nothing on my skin.
Starting point is 00:56:41 And that means everything. Ask your doctor about Skyrizzi, the number one dermatologist prescribed biologic in psoriasis. Visit Skyrizi.com or call 1866 Skyrizzi to learn more. All right, let's start with the first question here. We have 41. We're nine away from the story. Ziki, no malongam. Is Sam Wilson considering peak human in the MCU like Hawkeye and Black Widow?
Starting point is 00:57:11 I think he's earned that. To my knowledge, yeah. I think he's earned that. For sure. He doesn't have super soldier, and he keeps up. So that's something. He's still,
Starting point is 00:57:19 and he still, yeah. He's throwing that shield as if he does. Right. So I think that by itself is enough to. You got to give this guy to freaking serum, though, I'll tell you that.
Starting point is 00:57:28 He follows it up. I think Chris Evans will play old Steve Rogers and other variants in Doomsday. I miss actual cap. Yeah, I hope we get him at least some, some version of cap. I'm not going to call him actual cap.
Starting point is 00:57:39 I'll call him Steve. I'll call him OG cap, but come on now. That, that's, don't do that. Yeah, I think he means first, OG cap. No, no, I get that, but the same way that Miles Morales is also Spider-Man, that's a whole conversation in the Spider-Verce. It's the same thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:55 I understand. Robert, Coy, I was wondering if, like, Roxy, you would give a few weekly comic recommendations of your top of the week. I'm a huge comic reader, but I'm always interested in things that I should be reading. Well, we did that for a little bit. When we had the Boom Studios, kind of, Coy would usually put together not only the Boom Studio stuff, but he then gave a couple of recommendations. We just haven't been
Starting point is 00:58:14 doing it since we don't have Boom anymore. I also do it every week on my channel. So I read all the Marvel DC Image Dynamite, Boom. I read them all and then I give you my favorite nine every single week on a show I called this Beacon Comics. So plug for my page, I got you. Perfect. Yeah, perfect. Zaki says,
Starting point is 00:58:30 I reckon if they maintain the momentum born again could be a worthy successor to the Netflix series, in my opinion, loving it so far. Well, good, I'm glad you are, because I am too, and I think the two of us, the other two, enjoy it. So I hope that you guys dig it and I hope that it does deliver.
Starting point is 00:58:46 He follows it up, please have Campion. I just had Campion. He was on the he came, he called it. He was one of the people called in for the live stream. But having him on as a full guest, this is the same we're on the same time. So that's not going to be possible. So which is he coming in hot today for future DC Marvel comic
Starting point is 00:59:02 crossover this year, Joker versus Muse. Mews is a creep on the loose. Yeah. He's so great in the comics, but you guys are, You're in for it. Yeah. Oh, because you've seen,
Starting point is 00:59:12 you've seen a little bit more, huh? No, just from reading it. I'm actually up to date with where the show is. Okay. Because no, I,
Starting point is 00:59:18 Koi, so in anticipation, I went and did some homework on Muse and, oh my God. You know what's coming then. Yeah, okay. Ed Boy,
Starting point is 00:59:29 I know Logan is up. Any X-Men reactions online? Yes. So right now, we just put up WandaVision episodes one through three. And as I thought, it's doing fine. I knew the TV shows were just going to fine.
Starting point is 00:59:44 If WandaVision's just doing fine, there's no world I'm doing like the subpar ones, Secret Invasion, She Hulk, all those. There's no world because I'm trying, I want to get back to the movies for Stan, but I also don't want her to get, you know, lost with some of the stuff that's going to happen. So that's why we're watching Wanda Vision. We'll watch Loki. I don't know about Hawkeye. I don't know yet.
Starting point is 01:00:08 I have to see. But as far as X-Men, yes, once we finish all this stuff, we'll be watching X-Men. I have a full list of movies for her to watch too. She'll be busy for quite a while. But I would say, if you can, head on over. Not only do we do the Wanda Vision one, for as soon as this stream is over,
Starting point is 01:00:22 I'm going to put up for members, the unedited into the Spider-Verse. Ewok, the Legend of Zelda confirmed for March 26, 2027. Nice. Is that a live-action TV show or is it a movie? I think it's a movie. I can't twist my arm that way. Oh, can you just put me?
Starting point is 01:00:42 There you go. Nice. There we go. I don't need to stretch anymore, but. I can't see. I'm all frame. I couldn't see where I was. Well,
Starting point is 01:00:50 I'm a friend. That wouldn't happen. Josh Needle, the chair's got fans talking MCU all day. Speculating the next day, now you're talking about it today with even more names coming. Smart move after all. Yes.
Starting point is 01:01:01 As far as what they accomplished, but do we still not one of us here thinks it was a good presentation? So smart move as far as spending, spending nothing and shooting chairs, sure. Sure. It's a win. There's no doubt. It's a win. Could it have been done much better?
Starting point is 01:01:21 Yes, 100%. 100%. You cannot convince me otherwise. They do. They had people talking about chairs all day long. Okay. Sean McKay, what up, Sean? Winston came in clutch on Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Great job. He did. He really didn't think. And it was Josh A, I believe, who we, So Coy-HC-A? I thought it was Chris-A, yeah, yeah. So after we left, after you left, I remember I told you, I said, I can't. I'm not going to be able to do this whole thing because I got, because I got Sam coming in to do a reaction.
Starting point is 01:01:48 And right as I was about to sign off, Chris Hay goes, why don't you have Coy or Winston come in? I knew you were covering it on your channel. I said, let me see Winston's available. And thank God he was. And he kept us going for five hours. So- I got to do my three main channels that day, starting with you, then mine, then rejects. And it was like, that's how long the presentation.
Starting point is 01:02:09 I know. That was the funny part. Christian had to keep leaving to go with Sam, to go run some errands. And he'd go and it come back and be like, it's been two chairs. He's like, damn. Go pal. Coy. Ever get Dukes of Hazard references after the Scap Duke from season five, and Bo and Luke were in a contract dispute?
Starting point is 01:02:28 Coy and Vance replaced them. Yeah, one of the only coys in pop culture is from Duke's a hazard in that dispute. There's also a lot of people don't know. Luke Perry's real name was Coy. It was Coy Luke Perry. His first name is COI like me. Well, there you go. Matt, doing a double feature of some friends tonight to go see death of a unicorn and a woman in the yard.
Starting point is 01:02:46 Any of you guys going to plan to see? So I was supposed to see women in the yard last night. Family things got in the way. I couldn't go and see it. I want to go check it out. Plus, I'm going to take my kids into the city to go see Minecraft on Sunday. And death of a unicorn, same thing. Miss the screen.
Starting point is 01:03:01 Wasn't able to do it. So those are ones I'm going to have to check out eventually when they hit. the streaming but i will i will see them guys i'm looking for to death of unicorn i'm not usually a horror guy but i'm really loving universal's horror stuff so that's an exception i'm gonna be checking it out uh but time i mean i just took that trip so i want to catch up on movies in a big way no there we go simon section coy beast how do you like your salad toss wins something something nasty christian has no comment me i'd rather see kelsey grammar in makeup rather than that lame CGI taking that post-credit scene.
Starting point is 01:03:34 You know, I, I'm, I'm, Caesar. Is that a position to get your salad tossed in? I just assume there's got to be some, like, a nice Julian. But I personally like the makeup, too. The CGI to me looked cool that it was comic accurate, but it also looked too deep. I honestly would rather them have that be the X-Men 97 multiversal beast and have the animation be bad on purpose. It doesn't look like a person there.
Starting point is 01:04:01 It looks like a TV thing in the frame. So is Monica, as, it's Monica, right? Is she going to be part of them as well? Because she's in that universe? I think she'd have to be.
Starting point is 01:04:15 That's why I think the next round of the chair. She'll have to be in the names. Have to be. Dennis Hoffman. OGXman die in opening incursion, but Marston and Tatum live on. So I hope. Marston is on a run.
Starting point is 01:04:24 He's going to pop now that people know Cyclops is the goat. I'm glad to see. see Marsen back. I'm happy for him. Me too. Me too. I've only ever had one interaction with Marsden and it was at a premiere where I physically collided with him on the way to get popcorn and I felt awful.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Like I was one of those like, oh, and that was James Martin. And I was like, oh, dude, like I want to thank you for how much you care about Cyclops even if no one else on set did. And then he's like, oh, dude, thank you so much, man, for saying that. And we just talked about Cyclops. Like, we just in the aisle of a sonic premiere talking about Cyclops because I don't know
Starting point is 01:04:54 how often he gets complimented because they did him so dirty. So this to me feels like the Deadpool Channing Tatum thing like not close to scale but redemption for yeah yeah yeah uh all right shelf presence the 87 Avengers versus X-Men is the better storyline 87 Avengers who's that they've done this more than once um so instead of the AVX storyline that came out in the last what like seven years or something like eight years oh dude sorry so I'm not I'm not super familiar then with the with the 87 run Coy, what's, what's? It was, uh, more of a singular event versus like all the tie-ins and stuff.
Starting point is 01:05:32 It was kind of one of those like series books, but like that era of X-Men's pretty strong. So I, I think they'll do a mix of like secret ors where it's going to be a blend of the OG secret wars and the Hickman one. I think similarly, they'll be big iconic moments from both iconic X-Men versus Avengers moments. Uh, king of the wicker people. Guys have heard the Spider-Man four will include the Punisher and Hulk. Have you heard anything about those rumors? But, Not what are your thoughts if that's true. I have heard those rivers and I do think they're true.
Starting point is 01:06:02 I do. I think Punisher and Hulk will both be in the movie. Yeah, I've heard them. I mean, on top of the fact that we're going, we're all kind of on the same page where it feels like Spider-Man 4 is like the two towers in between fellowship and, you know, return. So I think that you kind of need to find a way to loop at least Hulk in if we're about to go to battle world. It's going to be rage, Hulk.
Starting point is 01:06:25 I also want Bernthal and Tom to share the screen more because they're doing the Nolan film op-and-i not op-in-hyber um the Odyssey together yeah and they were in a movie like 10 years ago together and they're real-life friends I want that Spider-Man Punisher it'll happen so that both those people will be in uh Mike Joyce opening day was yesterday Winston who you're rooting for this year the cuz is supposed to be good I doubt the Dodgers can repeat yeah Winston who's gonna choose this year there's a couple people have one one win no losses on there's on their side I'm still just upset about Luca being traded. I'd really just, my heart is not in sports right now. Well, once somebody's 2 and O, you can choose. Hey, all right. Perfect. All right. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Corey, baseball is the one who used the bat and the gloves. And they run and then they get a goal. Yep. Close. See, Black, for the end of time, Loki is the key. I think Loki's going to be integral if they don't kill them. It's going to be one of the other.
Starting point is 01:07:24 They can't kill them again. can't. They shouldn't. If they do, I mean, you got to kill them like, you know, you got to show them, you got to show them
Starting point is 01:07:36 that you're going to kill them like for good. Throughout time. Like there's no coming back, kill them. But I think that's the power scaling we'll need with doom, that's my concern. In general,
Starting point is 01:07:44 like nobody comes back. Right. Dennis Hoffman, hop in and out of your stream. Enjoyed the telethon vibe of it. It must have been lucrative for the channel, right? Thunderbolt's going to do better.
Starting point is 01:07:53 So the answer is yes, for sure. For reviews and for everything else, ads. We had we had sponsors in there. We had people coming in here and commenting 100%. Do you know what I realized with YouTube? For some reason, subscribers do not come in through live through live streams. Like this, the live show itself doesn't bring in the, the subscribers really come in through the reactions, the out of the theater reactions, the movie reviews, the interviews. That's where subscribers come from. The live streams do not bring in subscribers. It's bizarre. I don't know what that is. It doesn't bring in new subscribers.
Starting point is 01:08:27 but it will bring in, like, it will bring the existing audience back to, yeah, of course. But I don't know what that is. I don't know why YouTube does it that way. Alex, I think theories that Doom is trying to recreate the OG 616 that, who's, who's HWR? Altered, he who remains. He who remains. Altered are true. Narratively explains why Doom thinks he's justified and explains,
Starting point is 01:08:57 Tony being a variant. Welcome back. Coy. Thank you. That's fun. I like that. I like that theory. I haven't considered that. No. That's a good one. Not a bad theory. Motorola. What's up, Joe? Palpatina Voldemort will we're doing it. Okay, we hit 51. So I'll tell, I'll tell my story real quick. Do it. You guys know it. So the other day, I went to, so my buddy Andrew Fried, who has been on this show before, he's a producer. he has done so many different things from chef's table to the welcome to the the bill cosby doc and tons of things he's a very good friend of my been friend of my three years
Starting point is 01:09:35 he invited me to the um party that he was having for the paul brothers have he's producing the paul brother's show on hvo max and so i was like yeah i would love to see andrew i'd love to celebrate what he's doing and it's again i call him midas for everything that he does the shows always do so well. So I went and I took my buddy James with me who have been friends with us in like kindergarten. We'd go with a very nice place. Great food. Had a couple of drinks talking to some people that I didn't see in a little bit. It was, it was really nice. It was chill. It was a nice night out. In the back of the room where they were showing the episode was one of those punching backs where you where you show you can, you know, show you show you how much power you have when you hit the,
Starting point is 01:10:20 hit the back. So it was, there wasn't anybody in there right. And I think the, the number at the time was, what was it, uh, 792 or something. So I was like, you know, I'll give it, I'll give it a shot. So I went up and, and the first one I hit was like 812. So then I was like, okay. So I did it again. I was like, I got to go.
Starting point is 01:10:40 And then I'm throwing, I'm throwing hooks. And by the time I get out, I was at 829. So I'm like, okay, I can live with 829. I like 829. And my buddy James was no one's going to beat that. I said, someone was going to beat that. Someone will beat it. So, of course, after a couple of drinks, keep going.
Starting point is 01:10:54 back in checking if anybody's going to beat it and nobody was beating it so i'm like okay so i'm back in that room so by the end i don't know if it was the end of the night but it was the end of the night for me i was about to leave and as i'm leaving um i'm i'm in there watching okay maybe i can leave with the victory here and just go like go like this whether somebody beats it i won't see it so of course paul brothers walk in and big security dude it's big back black dude it's huge huge guy gets up there and this this dude the security guy is maybe six five six six I'm like he's gonna do it winds up boom eight 10 boom eight 12 I'm like he's not doing it boom other people the other guy who's just not extending some other guy comes in not extending no one's doing it no one's
Starting point is 01:11:42 doing it I'm like this is great I'm actually leaving there so jake Paul gets up there and I'm like okay here we go I was like this guy I know they know we can hit seen him I've seen him punch he's going to do it. So he looks over, he goes, who's got the record? And the security guy looks at me, goes, this guy. And Big Paul goes, yeah, but it's your machine, right? I go, no, do it. I'm just the guest here. He's like, all right. So he goes and he nails it, 815. And I'm like, woohoo, right? I'm like, I'm going to do it. And then he just hauls back and nails it, 850. And it just beats it by like 30, what is it, 20, whatever, 20 points. I'm like, yeah, I had 8.9.
Starting point is 01:12:23 I had 829. He had 8.50. So I'm like, okay. And then he turns around and he goes, when a motherfucker beats that one, call me and I'll come back. Right. And so I'm like, all right, I'll tell you before. And then tell you guys this part of the story. The thing that was super impressive is his, his girlfriend gets up next.
Starting point is 01:12:44 And because they're other dudes trying to go get in 700, 600, 600s. His girlfriend gets her. She's taller. And she's got a good stance. She got to 800. She was throwing bombs. And I was like, holy shit, because there are dudes that were barely even cracking. And I was, I was super impressed because she was, she was cracking it.
Starting point is 01:13:04 So anyway, I'm like, all right. And I was talking to the guys who were running the thing the whole time. And remember my, and I'll tell you right now, my arm is destroyed, but I was like, and they go, don't. And this one guy who's a boxer was running thing is, don't blow your arm out. You did good. you did good. Yeah, you tweet nine for the whole night. I go, do it.
Starting point is 01:13:23 I got to try it before I leave. So I get up and I go, here we go. And I fire a shot and I get to 832 with my first shot. And I'm like, come on. And then, but Paul sees this. And he comes over and he started. He's really cool. And he goes, and he's like, he's like, follow through a little bit more on the next one.
Starting point is 01:13:41 Put your hips into it. And he's like, help me out. He's not trying to be a dick. And he's like, so I did that. And it was a little lower on that one. And I said, I'm just going to rotate my hips and do one. And I nail it. I was like, I got it. It was 840.
Starting point is 01:13:51 And I was like, I will blow my arm out if I can see you. My fist bumped him and I started talking to him for a little bit. I'll tell you what, you know, people, he was a very nice guy. He was very nice to me. We're talking for a little bit. He is also friends with Jesse Michaels, who's been on my show before. But I said, look, my buddy goes, as we're walking out, he goes, how old's Jake Paul? He goes, probably 27, 28.
Starting point is 01:14:14 He goes, you just got 10 pounds less than the guy who fought Tyson and the 20, 27 years old. He said, you take that as a win. I said, I'll take it. You go home victorious. That's it. So that's my story. Hey, man. Good for you. Anyway, all right. So that was at 53. Now we've got to think of some other stuff. You guys, look, you want to get the guys to 100 in Coys victory lap? We've got about 45 minutes left. You guys can do it. Let's do it. Let's get them to 100. Okay. Let's see next one here, and that is go pal. I do love Daredevil, but one thing I've been noticing is that it looks like when they totally retooled the show after six episodes were shot,
Starting point is 01:14:50 they pretty much only added the first scene of episode one. I think that they added more than that. I think they changed the tone a bit too, and I changed other things too, but I do think that they changed some stuff. Vanessa was a different actress. She was, right? Yeah, there was a lot.
Starting point is 01:15:05 I mean, they physically couldn't have just done that because Vanessa and a lot of other things. So I don't know how much, but I know it had to be more than that. Yeah. Okay. Next one here is Jonathan Contras. will join was storm jean and rogue be in to get the full x-men you mean the ones from the original cast
Starting point is 01:15:23 like halie omka halie and i don't think she wants to do it anymore she retired didn't she oh who i don't know if she's retired but i i don't know if she wants to be in comic book movies anymore um i bet you they get hallie berry and i bet if they write hallibary an actual script not a fake one to get her to come back and then lie about it which is that what they did? I interviewed Matthew Vaughn, and while interviewing Matthew Vaughn, he was like, I had planned to do X-Men first class, a second movie about The Cure, which is a great X-Men storyline from Astonishing X-Men, and then the third film, The Days of Future Past, to have a
Starting point is 01:16:01 trilogy that arguably would have done what Endgame did before Endgame. Fawks wanted to rush and do Days of Future Pass right away, and then Singer wanted to come back, but like, first class had done well, they wanted to start bringing in, like, certain characters So they wrote a script that was for Halliberry to play Storm like a lot more. And it was never going to go through. It was never going to happen. They literally wrote a fake storm script for Hallie to get a book. And Vaughn heard about this and immediately quit the franchise and never came back to X-Men.
Starting point is 01:16:29 So that's why X-Men First Class was the only one of that style. It was supposed to be a trilogy. And that was what led to Kingsman and led to all the other stuff. There's lots of personal stuff that happened to other things that happened. Oh, sure. But like that was the impetus for like the- Makes sense. Crazy.
Starting point is 01:16:46 So they don't write that wrong. What's up, Dean? They're likely adapting the time runs out story, which is the Secret Wars Prelude, but it's Loki instead of the Beyonders and Fox X-Men instead of the Ultimates. That sounds like German or Japanese to me. But I don't think he's wrong. Yeah, actually. Coyna, you're out of frame.
Starting point is 01:17:05 What are you doing? Come on. Yeah, I time runs out of something people have been saying for a little bit that I think would be, good to reread for people. And I think that the Beyonder is not likely. It could have been cool. He's like a Jerry Curl wearing like, you know, track suit guy, which I would have loved to see Mark Hamill play or someone like that.
Starting point is 01:17:25 Yeah, really funny. Dude, Mark Handel is the Beyonder. Dude, right? I love Mark Hamill. I love Mark Hamill, but you got to have, if he's going to play on it, Beyonder, his pants have to fall down. Dude, you both do that and you have him do the Joker voice as the Beyonder the whole time.
Starting point is 01:17:44 for falling down. I'm a motherfucking beyond up. He can't, I told you, he can't play anything in the Marvel universe. He's already the last. Mother fucking Batman. Confirmed. It's confirmed. All right, let's see.
Starting point is 01:18:02 We got another page, Jowdrey, my handsome gentleman. A little bit. Funko should have chairs for sale. They probably will now. Christian, I'm loving trade. Wait a minute. You know, we're at a different, now we're at a different spot. Because I've been talking about this is Monday, so that means that people are now receiving them.
Starting point is 01:18:19 This is now we're never here on a new level here, Paige. You got trade, and now you can speak about it. Oh my God, it smells so good. Please do not get the grocery store. Coffee is so still and awful. Please don't settle. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 01:18:31 I'm telling you it's so fresh. I'm telling you this regardless. Whether people get it or not, I will still have trade. I don't care. I'm going to have them forever. So even if they're watching trade, you got rid of us. I ain't getting rid of you. How about that?
Starting point is 01:18:45 That's how it works. All right, let's see. Next one, go pal. No foggy, no Karen, no suit. Seems like a huge indictment, but two to five worked really well for me with none of those things. Yeah, I agree. I'll give you foggy and Karen just based off of, you know, okay,
Starting point is 01:18:59 but the suit thing, do we not remember that he spent most of that other series kind of not wearing the suit? It's like, I'm just going to put on a ski mask. I don't know. That's true. Joey, Motorola says, some poor streamer or big fan flying
Starting point is 01:19:15 LA to New York thought they were missing the biggest story of the past year. Little did they know they only missed 10 minutes. Yes and no. Yes and no. Like for people who were covering that stream, like I said, the engagement on it was real. People wanted to talk about it. People wanted to discuss it. There was no doubt about it.
Starting point is 01:19:31 People wanted to discuss. The announcement of what was going on itself was big. It was huge. The cast and telling us what's going on. You gave us a lot of reveal to let us kind of speculate of what it's going to be that that part it was done very well Alex crazy theory that has no basis and anything outside of possibility of OG Avengers playing evil roles what if taskmaster is a Natasha variant have they showed her face they did I think yeah they did at the end of black widow
Starting point is 01:19:58 yeah the end of black widow but they haven't shown her face in um in the anything with the thunderbolt yet so maybe that's not the same one maybe maybe it is I don't know I think she's I think she's done. Scarlet Joint said, I know what she wants to do anymore. Kanye Acadian, if chairs work for them this time, what's next? You think that, so if they do a second video,
Starting point is 01:20:22 because the reason, quote, you mentioned they might do a second video. And the reason I said that there's a Samaritan to that is because when I was talking to Snyder, he was like this 45 to 50 names in general. They only do like 27 or 28. I think they're going to have the exact same video again. You're going to do the same thing again? Or it'll be their trailer doors.
Starting point is 01:20:38 Right. But doing same thing if they do it if they do that again which would be hilarious we'll live stream it again one yeah i was gonna say i'll move my schedule around that day you know what it might be coy if not the trailer doors it's the table read and instead it's like the just their little names on their records on the table yep uh and he's back with lackluster general audience buy-in for post end game new characters is it brilliant fortunate to leverage fox established characters both both you like if you're gonna lead with i mean you let you let you let you let you're look you led with that basically with two jackman and you bring because you're basically giving
Starting point is 01:21:15 these x-men as coi said before you're giving them good writers and good scripts you're giving them you know a little bit more of a because when they were the last thing that they were in was it the the dark the dark phoenix no it wasn't you weren't even in that that was the new team that was the new team so there's been so many it was days of future past for no no no it was apocalypse no no they weren't in that. I think days of future past because remember Logan all of a sudden then because of the time travel comes back and goes, oh my God, everybody's alive.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Right, right. That's how they closed that out. You're right. So, I mean, that was the last one. It was a good one and closed it out. But I mean, I think having them come back and to do something inside of this universe is, you know, like we said beforehand with James Morrison getting to see him do it. It'll be nice. King of the Worker People, thoughts on the Netflix Punisher show.
Starting point is 01:22:05 We're watching of the new Daredevil show and I freaking love season one, one of the best Marvel projects, period. And just a tidbit, the thing plays micro in season one. I didn't know that. Yeah, I didn't know. It was micro and Punisher one. You know, I've never seen the Punisher. Season one is great. Season two.
Starting point is 01:22:22 The first few episodes up until the meme of the way, wait, wait, wait, no, no, no, no, no. Yeah, I got to, I got to see. Yeah, I want to see it. Kenya King. I bet the plot of Doomsday is to protect Loki from Doom. I could see that. God of Stories is important. It would be. Yeah, I mean, you got to have Loki have, because if they make Loki a part of it,
Starting point is 01:22:44 well, then it really makes sense to what they did with Loki season one and season two. Like, he's not just like, that's the end of it. He's just sitting there forever and that's it. You got to make it relevant to how this whole thing kind of plays out. I'm excited for that Thor line to come into play where it's like one day the sun will shine and us again. Yeah, see them too again. Uh, Clipchamp Razor.
Starting point is 01:23:02 My crazy theory is that the century becomes life. Interesting. That's cool. I like that. could be. Jim one. I get the idea of announcing the Thunderbolts in Doomstay, hoping more people go to see their movie in theaters, but they might just wait for Disney Plus. That is the, so, well, there's two, there's two sides of that. One, you're talking about, like, the hardcore people who watch it. Like, as many people that watch that, there was like
Starting point is 01:23:27 100,000 people watching it live and it did all those views, right? It's amazing how many people there are in the world. Because, like, I said to my friend today, he's into the stuff. I said to that big Marvel event the other day. He said, whoa, what happened? No clue. No idea. Same thing where I had a friend who loves going to this stuff, but always comes to me for stuff. And he was like, after it was over,
Starting point is 01:23:49 and they did the one minute and 42nd thing to sum it all up. He goes, they do another one of the events things. They shall tie to that shit. And I was just like, no. It doesn't seem like, yeah, but there are some people who are. I was so curious. Simon, so Christian is watching Minecraft. Does that include
Starting point is 01:24:07 five minute Superman footage? I don't know. I doubt it. They usually don't show previews and stuff at the trailer, at the critics screening. Is it only IMAX, if not, will Christian be covering his eyes? I mean, if they show it,
Starting point is 01:24:20 I'll probably watch it, but I doubt they'll show it. They won't show it there. I'm going to show it at the critic screening. I highly, highly doubt that. Okay, let's see. Next one, guys, we are,
Starting point is 01:24:33 and right now we're at 56, 56 on this day. I think that because I know that you guys can't catch up. Maybe that's what it is. Go pal. Adria, Jona was great and hit man. Maybe even more in the press I saw for that movie.
Starting point is 01:24:45 I hope she has more to do in Andor season two. Me too. I'm so excited for Endor season two. I cannot wait. Yeah, me too, man. Never mind.
Starting point is 01:24:52 Oh, yeah. Well, I don't want to, I don't want to anything to be like kind of a spoiler. So never mind. All right. Now is that,
Starting point is 01:25:00 what's up, buddy? I don't seem as that in a while. What kind of structure would you like Doomsday to have? Avengers versus X-X-Men. And then, uniting against doom happy you are still using my logo you guys oh yeah yeah yeah that's kind of what i think it's going to be like you know an incursion event brings the two worlds together the x-men lived in
Starting point is 01:25:16 a world that avengers the avengers lived in the world that x-men uh mutants are starting to percolate with this marvel there's a conflict and then they realize doom is the problem yeah that's what's going to happen and dooms that yeah i bet doom is the one that comes and tells the avengers do you know that they're about to destroy your world like he intentionally baits them think so believe it and they believe it because they go oh you kind of look like Tony you're you're a different Tony bro so like whatever and then you find out nah he just he was used as a third power right shake Christian I stumbled across a random news article and finally learned what congestion prices are in New York did you guys
Starting point is 01:25:51 hear the story when I told that one I didn't hear your story no I know about congestion prices I know about congestion prices but I was the long short story is I was at some screen and camera which one it was and there was this guy in the back of behind me just complaining about congestion prices Congestion prices. Coming in here, the congestion prices is on the phone. Yeah, it would have been okay, but the congestion prices. And I'm like, all right, we get it. We get it. Congestion prices.
Starting point is 01:26:14 I don't know what it was. All right. Next question here. And this is from Shea again. Marvel should have gone back to formula. Back to formula. With that stupidly successful chair announcement. It is stupidly successful is a great way to put it. It's stupidly successful.
Starting point is 01:26:32 100%. It really is. Big Bang, O-T-4. Would this Doom kill other variants to be the only one? Yeah, he's more so, the ego on Doom is pretty wild. I mean, Koi, tell me what you think, but I feel like I don't ever really remember times where Doom is like, I'm a team up with another version of me. He's like, no, there was only one Doom.
Starting point is 01:26:58 But I also meant like the only person Doom respects is Doom. So I can see it go either way where it's like, you know. I was just going to say, Reed, Kang, they're both like, I can work with myself versus Doom. It's like, there is only one doom. Yeah, I think it's going to be interesting. I don't think they should do anything with multiple dooms
Starting point is 01:27:15 just because of the Kang issue that they just went into. Like, I think that'd be confusing. But I do think it'd be interesting to see how they navigate the Downy Doom if there are other dooms to come. Yeah. Shea, my favorite doomsday cast announcements were Alan coming and Rebecca Romaine. did you guys have one um i think i think that allan coming come back as night crawler just kind of signified that those who they were coming back for sure but what about you winson
Starting point is 01:27:43 patrick stewart oh yeah that's hilarious you know you go back and watch it yeah i did cora you know what happened there it's hilarious so he's he's in the um he's watching when i wasn't there but he's watching and patrick stewart comes in and uh he yells he's like a xma ninety seven he's so he yells he's like a x-sreams top of his lungs and and is all all excited about that he gets a text from his girlfriend to shut his ass essentially the text i could read it let me find it real quick when this happened this is like two days ago um she calls me my of a middle name aleck Alex i'm on calls right now you have to stop screaming right the fuck now I was just then so all of a sudden i went full ASMR and i was like well guys
Starting point is 01:28:27 it looks like i'm gonna be um's yeah and we and we once once you start going SMR we leap to 3,000 more viewers. Harry Myers, Harle was one of the monster lady. I'm like, ah, Roz, right? I need them. I can't see shit. Also, you guys see me at the gym because I write all my routines down on this stuff, too, but I can't see my phone.
Starting point is 01:28:46 So it's just like, I'm like this, and I'll be in the middle of a whole, a whole lot of a middle of workout. Also, you think they'll have the entire bat family in the new DCU. I think eventually if it's successful, they will. I hope so. Yeah, they're introducing two in the in Dynamic Duo. I think it's going to grow into that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:04 Matt Thomas, what's up, Matt Winston? One of those watch along is Twilight, right? I really don't want to do that in the middle of this stream because I don't want to scare people off, but we'll see. We'll see. A soul.
Starting point is 01:29:17 Here's the sponsor in Coyne Winston after Coy's disappearance last couple of weeks. He's back. My man. He is back. Needed a vacation, man. Casual scroll. Do you? So do you have to be the last?
Starting point is 01:29:32 leader of the Avengers if you're a cap A. After watching X-Men 97, I think Cyclops could be a good replacement for Captain America at a leadership role. Yeah, but he's, he's in the other than he's on team. Right. He leaves his own team. So he's not going to lead the X-Men. That'd be like to be, you know, Star Lord. I mean, you see the whole team together. Stop leading them guardians and come over here and lead these Avengers. Right. That's not going to happen. RJ McReady, most best, most based movie pod on the boob to. Thank you. R.J. I appreciate that. Jabari Muhammad. He just puts in 99th. Thank you, sir.
Starting point is 01:30:06 Casual Saul, scroll, sorry, I said soul. Which movie do you guys think is more likely to come out first? Batman 2, Beyond the Spider-Verse or Blade? That's a great question. I'll give Beyond the Spider-Verse. I think truly it was just a, yeah, I know we were supposed to get it, what, last year, I think. But knowing that it really sounds like it's more just animation, production problems and taking their time. I have more faith in that than Batman, too, which we still don't even
Starting point is 01:30:32 even know what the hell's going on or anything and then blade i know they just got a director today i guess but how many times they got a director yeah i'm gonna say beyond then batman too then blade yep i'm gonna say batman too i think batman too um because they're supposed to start shooting at the end of the year you on you on the spiderverse has not it looks like it keeps being pushed so i don't know i hope they announce the release date of beyond at cinema i got to tell you that coffee smells so good all right it smells so good Okay, let's say. So right now, it's 62. Jump to 62. I'll take it. I'll take it.
Starting point is 01:31:06 C block. See, black. Sorry. Guys should rent a theater for Doomsday. Yeah, sure. Yeah, we should, we should set a goal to see how long. It probably costs like a couple. Probably costs like $5,000. So we reach a role, if not more. That's probably, probably less.
Starting point is 01:31:24 Probably, you can, I mean, there's a lot of, like, out here, I don't know if you remember that at the city walk. they would let you rent a theater to watch non-prime movies. It was only a couple hundred bucks. And then if you were watching a movie that was in, I want to say it was like a G. I remember during the pandemic. They were doing that a lot.
Starting point is 01:31:42 I watched it for my birthday for like 150 bucks. Yeah, exactly. Watching Sam's MCU reactions has me thinking maybe I've been a little too much of a fan boy for these films. Don't get me wrong. I love the MCU. I felt devastated when a film or show wasn't that good, but Sam was so chill about it. I'm now thinking maybe I was taking this stuff
Starting point is 01:31:59 too seriously. I love her reaction when when the Wanda vision started like she didn't know what she was about to watch right so she starts it not once did she say what the hell is this shit about the lucy thing the I love Lucy she went with it she was watching it like it was a I love Lucy episode it was amazing it was like she just went and then once she's once shit started on I said well what's going on you know like but she was she was just enjoying the sitcom aspect of it was it was the best it was the best that Winston got to do a about five 10 minutes with Sam uh the live stream she's hilarious yeah she really is she's great so's hilarious um coy and
Starting point is 01:32:38 winston have you read elf quest if so thoughts that is from jabari mohammed no i am not there's a lot of comics elf quest i hear is great but it's not been my i have not read that unfortunately no um okay let's see what next uh this is julius why i can't wait for the unedited lorner the rings reactions with Sam one day. Those will happen. Those will happen for sure. It's so funny. Someone's like it's all in the hips. It is all about the hips with punching. Like it's, it's rotation. It's all it is. It's rotation. Because I'm telling you, I saw big dudes swinging. And I knew when they were swinging, they're not going to catch it because then there's no follow through through. It's a snap. It's the, I mean, it's, that's, that's any thing that you need force
Starting point is 01:33:25 with period. That's with with throwing. That's with golf swings. fighting it's all about using as much motion and typically you want to try and get as compact as possible so you can like store it so yeah yeah so it was um it yeah it's just a matter of snapping the hips it's all of this um but i will say paul could punch man because he was like he just like took one step through and like it's like i the second he hit it i said that did it i knew it uh rob m wasante all three of you who's your favorite exman character I hate to say it because it's so overdone, but, you know, comic accurate Wolverine,
Starting point is 01:34:03 and I love Hugh Jack Menna, but comic Wolverine, like the stuff that he did with havoc and meltdown, some of my favorites. Favorite traditional X-Men, Storm, favorite obscure X-Men chamber. Nightcrawler and game it.
Starting point is 01:34:19 Yeah. All right, let's see. Thenora Reven-Draw. Magneto versus Doom is a potential fight I'm hyped for. Yeah, but Doom would wipe the floor with him, wouldn't he? I mean, Doom's made a metal. Or not made up, but like wearing metal.
Starting point is 01:34:33 Like not necessarily because the one thing that Magneto constantly, he really is the master of his powers. So it doesn't mean that Doom doesn't have a bunch of aces up his sleeve. But Magneto has done some crazy, crazy shit in the past. So it's pretty good fight. Crystal, what's up? Crystal, where are you been? Hey, guys, have been traveling.
Starting point is 01:34:52 So missing the shows. So she just answered the question. Been watching the replays. Amazing Wednesday. She'll congratulate on that streaming over 100K. Yeah, it was a, a little. I was like I didn't know who was going to watch it, but it turned out like I said it was it was one of those things where people just wanted to hear people talking about it.
Starting point is 01:35:07 So we're glad that everybody wanted to join us Jalen Turner Ian McKellen wire work for doomsday hello Pedro cross from downy is going to make for epic scenes. Yeah, I mean I can't imagine Ian getting up in some wires at 80 but uh, they'll they'll find a way to make some body double in work. They're going to have to they're going to basically do what they did for um for Martin cove and cobraca. because every single time he fought, it wasn't him fighting.
Starting point is 01:35:33 I thought you were going to say, but now that I think about it, they didn't do anything. Oh, he never thought, with Robert De Niro and the Irishman. I thought for a second, you were going to say that.
Starting point is 01:35:41 And I was like, nobody could see them old as bones trying to kick people on the ground. They did something. The old stomp that was so bad. They should have done it. Yeah, it was bad. Shelf presence.
Starting point is 01:35:52 Geriatric X-Men. I hope no one bust a hip. Yeah, it's like me on my arm. I'm telling you, like I took, I, like I was talking my friend. about it this morning i was like look i had to do it i had to like see if i could get at least close to 850 um but i'm paying for it oh you'll recover by may but you got never you did at the gym
Starting point is 01:36:12 because i did my i guess a little over a month now i'm going to the gym we did shoulders today and so i'm doing shoulders and i was okay for the most part there's one there's this one exercise you got the pulle's and you push back like this and my arms said fuck you so i did i did it i didn't I did lightweight, very lightweight. Winning one for fans, when do you think they'll announce the second cast? That's a great question. Boy, what do you think? I think leading up to Comic-Con, I think it'll be, like, this came out of nowhere.
Starting point is 01:36:43 I think they won't do Comic-Con. I think it'll be, like, randomly right before Comic-Con, and then I think they'll have a big presence at Comic-Con with some of the names they announced. Okay. Legend, M. 600, your hair looks cool, dude. Love you all. I assume he's talking about Winston. Does it cool.
Starting point is 01:36:56 Yeah, this is a shit. David Cole. Do you think the MCU will adapt the new ultimate universe after Doomsday and Secret Wars? I don't know because I don't know what that is. The only thing potentially is Miles, because that's where he originated from, if I'm not mistaken, Coys. He was in Ultimate and then they liked him enough that he got to survive Secret Wars and become a part of the main continuity.
Starting point is 01:37:16 Yeah, they folded in the whole universe to just keep Miles and the Maker pretty much. I think the Ultimate Universe is like a term that we would know, but Christian wouldn't and the same is true for audiences. I think the concept of the Ultimate Universe will be adapted as in like, rebooting for the modern day, changing some things like that, I think is coming, but I think they'll call it that.
Starting point is 01:37:34 I also think the ultimate universe is the Fox universe. And I think that that's how they're doing it, is that we're the main 616 for the MCU. The Fox universe represents the ultimate universe. You kind of mash it together and you keep what works. Okay. Possibly, but I don't know about any of that stuff. Shea,
Starting point is 01:37:51 I'm not putting pressure on MCU films anymore, but I do think that Doomsday won't meet its full potential because there's no lead up like the First Avengers. That's what I said before. There's a lot of movies that go out for the first time and don't have a lead-up to it and are great movies. If you make a great movie, you make a great movie. Because we're so just built to say like, okay, guys, this is what we have done with the MCU. There's this lead-up.
Starting point is 01:38:18 There's a lead-up. There's a lead-up. And now there's the big event. That's not what this is. This is, here's our movie. We're going to establish Doom in this movie like other movies do, establishing a villain for the first time in the movie. And then it's going to be one of three films because Spider-Man 2 will be the second film in there. Now, whether Doom's in or not, I don't know, but it'll still be the events afterwards,
Starting point is 01:38:38 which will lead up to the events of secret wars. So I've changed my thought process on it. I think that as long as, now, here's the thing. If you don't care by the end of Doomsday, it's over. That's true. That's all it is. But if you're locked in after Doomsday, who cares about the lead-up? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:59 Stephanie Litts. I also have Winston Prince shirt. Love Purple Rain. It's a great. It's a great movie. Great movie. Zeeby. Could Robert Downey Jr.
Starting point is 01:39:09 Play Doom like Farrell did Penguin. And if he's already cast as Doom, a Tony variant would be spoiled, telegraphed when we've seen on set. That's another great question. How much of Downey's face do you think we'll see in Doomstay? I don't think you buy a man multiple islands unless you're showing his face. How many?
Starting point is 01:39:28 how many uh well how how many how what's your percentage that he shows how much of his of the movie is he in percentage wise coy is do you see his face how much 60 plus you think 60 plus of seeing his face i just they're selling it on downy and like the end of the big like cast reveal was downy acting like tony stark true what do you think Winston yeah i don't think he goes full doom mask until later on when they start to figure out that it was him behind it all. So I think that he starts off playing. I truly believe, hey guys, these dudes over here trying to destroy your universe. If you don't do something about them, they're going to be a problem, almost a la, I hate to recycle storylines, almost a la
Starting point is 01:40:14 mysterio in far from home and get them to go, yeah, we got to stop these X-Men, only to find out that Doom was actually using this as a means to steal power one way or the other. I'm going the other way. Yeah. I'm saying he's going to be in the mask, 85% in the movie. I think maybe 15% to 10%. And I think in secret wars, you see more of his face.
Starting point is 01:40:37 Because if you have him locked in for two movies, and it's like, and he goes, and it's Downing. You want me to be in a mask? How much are you paying me? Okay. What else?
Starting point is 01:40:45 You want to be, cucumbers on my eyes? What do you want to do? What else do? How much? Sure. What are you going to be? You don't want to see my face?
Starting point is 01:40:51 Okay. All right. Okay. That part of him, Downey is gone to where it's like, well, you got to show my face. You need to show my face. I'm an actor. You got to show me.
Starting point is 01:41:02 What do you? That's gone. He doesn't need that. He's got enough. He's going to be the dude. He's got his money. Kind of. He's going to, I think because to make Doom more intimidating, you show him in the
Starting point is 01:41:14 mask, the majority of the movie, you might not even see his face at all. You might not even see his face at all in the first one. But in the, in that second movie, the secret wars, you'll see more. I remember in the comics, there's that one reveal when he takes his mask off. That's in Sigur Wars. But it's healed. Yeah, it's in Zigger Wars. I feel, I feel that that's, I don't think we're going to see his face, but we'll see.
Starting point is 01:41:35 We wonder what the audience thinks. Trey Porter, Coy, you must watch above the rim to finish the Tupac, holy Trinity of movies. Have you ever seen that? No, we just did poetic justice and obviously juice over at Reject. So I got to get above the rim in. I can't believe that you've never, you had never seen boys in the hood before. Dude, it was exceptional.
Starting point is 01:41:54 that my god i still can't believe that so good uh ed boy how cool if mother eff and doom music mf doom oh mother f and doom music is in moons the mooms and dooms day the most recent doom one shot the opening page was mf doom lyric so i think i think they know what they're doing and mf doom is such a legend i think that's coming yeah sean mcade shout out to the best sam and christian off react thank you show my awesome bride melanie you're the garlic to my my galic i love that's so sweet you guys we've been watching um they've been watching us and been such great supporters and we absolutely love them. So thank you so much. Sean's the best.
Starting point is 01:42:31 C. T. I just need a little less jokes. I want to feel the gravity of the situation. Hope Doom isn't snarky. I agree. You can't, you really have to make him devastating.
Starting point is 01:42:42 I don't want to see Doom tell jokes because that's, you have to make him as far away from Tony Stark as possible. I think what he's going to do is again, because I think he is going to use the leverage of I look like one of your greatest heroes i think he will act as much like tony as possible until the till the till the till the cap comes off and then uh or to the mass comes off uh theoretically and then once he's doom i think that that's gonna go away that's it yeah uh connor mullis happy corky is back perfect welcome back corky now jalen turner what who are some of the dynamics teams teamups
Starting point is 01:43:19 do you want to see in doomsday you know i don't even want to speculate on it i just want to be like, oh, you know that moment when that person and that person were fighting together or they fought each other or they would. I mean, that's the kind of shit that's going to really sell this movie. Like the end of Deadpool Wolverine, like seeing Blade fight with Gambit was like insane. Seeing Electra come back and like be in the diamond. Like that, I'm just waiting for that instead of doing the like sandbox playing a toys thing. I want to just go in and see what they want to give me. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:47 Okay. Go pal. Oh man. Corky will always be the kid from life goes on way back when. That's the name of not hurting a long time. A long time. Yeah. I wonder what has happened to good old quirky.
Starting point is 01:43:58 Why So Sidious, a nerd podcast. I do love the name of that. Nice name. Yeah. Will Doomsday end like issue number one of Secret Wars? It could. I'm thinking the God Emperor Doom stuff is
Starting point is 01:44:11 why I'm worried about Loki, but it could. That's viable. Is that how that ended? I thought it ended with the life rafts. Issue three is where God of Prodome's coming from, but because the, like, the last few moments of issue one.
Starting point is 01:44:27 Shea Markill. Shout out to Chris A for suggesting to bring on Winston for the Marvel chair stream. Winston, you filled in, did a great job, solid team where Phil's. It was good. What was good about it was that it was, it was me for like two hours, whatever it was. Then it was Winston by himself for like two hours. And then the two of us kind of did it together. And I was able to debut.
Starting point is 01:44:44 I think I talked about it on the stream, Koi, the other day I read my daughter, a Dr. Seuss book, but she wanted to hear it in Arnold's voice. So it's amazing how well it worked. Oh, dude. Yeah, that's perfect. I'm going to even see if I can find, let's see, just some, and I think that I'm going to actually do a segment of videos of it.
Starting point is 01:45:08 But even, let's see, even the cat in the hat, where is it? Okay, this is cat in the hat. The day is here, is it time to cheer. It's a don your hat and dress your cat. Review you rhyme. Ah, potty time. Grab a good book. A kid to look.
Starting point is 01:45:24 a sit alone none will condone chanting reading loving feeding you in the child but be unwild that's all let loose the doctor susse I don't know why it works so well it's an immaculate like that is that's destiny it just works Andrew Carnes just watched Daredevil season three love the I beat you line I got to watch that I haven't what is that line again I don't remember already I've just seen it I haven't seen season three since it aired I just watched it how do i not remember that i know uh julius white christian what's better sex in the city too or hot pursuit i remember just not liking hot pursuit i haven't seen it since um we walked out of sex in the city too but i'd probably say sex in the city too because it was least it was at least a movie
Starting point is 01:46:10 and not just people talking um all right connor mullis how's your week oh i remember my name was evolved uh the busiest i've been in like 10 years i am i am booked and busy and good and intense ways. Thank you. Galaxy geeks. What's that, Luke? I believe the reason it's X-Men versus Avengers is because it's an incursion. Doom ends up in one world, Fantastic Four ends up in the other to set up the fight. That's a good call, too.
Starting point is 01:46:36 Yeah. Maybe still. Yeah, I think we'll see something at the end of F4 that sets this all up. Very good call. Shammagic. I wonder what starts Doomsday with no build-up. Also, it would be nice if Nick Cage appears. What's Ghost Rider appears in Julian McAnneux? I like his doom.
Starting point is 01:46:53 I'm telling you, there's going to be a lot of surprises. There's going to be a lot of surprises. I think in the same way that they did in Deadpool and Wolverine. Connor Mullis, all jokes aside, Coy, I love my Marvel versus DC Omni. I got both. Great books. Great. Winning for fans, do we see Doom kill the councils of Canks to make a big statement of how big of a threat he is?
Starting point is 01:47:14 You can do that without showing John's the majors. I think you could definitely do that. That would be, see, that would be something where you don't, like almost what you're saying, boy about yeah you have to do that that would be interesting jake nintendo announced today that the live action zelda is releasing in march of twenty 27 sonic four opens the weekend before quite the month for video game movies that's incredible wow not nintendo going right at sega you're going to be big armada how does daredevil run up walls and know where he can go if he can't see is it all based on him having super sensitive hearing a lot of detects the surrounding look at coy ready to answer this
Starting point is 01:47:49 question quick yeah the the premise being that he has extra sensory awareness almost like a radar and that allows him to navigate things actually if you watch the the benaflect daredevil they show it visually how he sees and that's the way oh koi you'll be so happy by the way my daughter started she's you know she's almost 14 now she started watching mall rats last thing yes perfect perfect day yeah uh h a i wish that marvel took a couple years of break and then started new universe kids in their 20s don't relate to the mc u they were in kindergarten garden when iron man came out which is crazy i talk about that all the time like we need to have more adult oriented and then all ages ones because it is a giant span of time that's happened it really
Starting point is 01:48:29 i think that's part of why you saw a little bit of a lean into miss marvel when that happened and then even with agatha i've seen a lot of like gen z that were relating to uh you know the kid the whole time um so it was funny at the the studio premiere seeing so many younger people talking to katherine Han and so many of our age people talking to Superbgen. Because like you see. Yeah, right. Because of Agatha. Yeah. Yeah. Jesse Pye.
Starting point is 01:48:55 The live stream was a blast. Thank you, Jesse. It was fun to have a Marvel event that we can all talk about. It's something we'll be looking back on. Yeah. I think that it'll be, um, it's, look, they succeeded as far gotten people talking. There's no doubt. Go pal. Just watch Bubble boy a few days ago. Wow. So many jokes that wouldn't play today, but hilarious. That movie I can't. That's a movie that you would ask me about.
Starting point is 01:49:17 back then, you don't think that he survives that, but you sure did. Yeah, well, thriving. Sure did. See, Black, can Doomsday beat Endgame at the box office? Now, that is where the culmination could have an effect, where the culmination of the story might not be, but the culmination leading to end game, everybody wanted to see what was going down. Now, I don't know about Doomsday, Secret Wars has a shot.
Starting point is 01:49:42 If Doomsday is phenomenal. If Doomsday and Spider-Man are great, then Secret Wars can do it. with, but Doomsday, I don't know. Yeah, Doomst is going to be hard. Mr. I, crap and shits, since Sam, Sam got completely cut up in the MCD during the chair reveals, is she excited to see Thunderbolts,
Starting point is 01:49:59 a five-hour chain rule is that sign. She has no idea what Thunderbolts is yet. She's, she's still, she's in 2020. We're in, you know, we're in 20205. She's in the pandemic again.
Starting point is 01:50:07 I'm so sorry. I know. She's just starting the pandemic with the WandaVision. So she's catching up fast, though. She's catching up fast, but she's not, she's about five years away. The fact that Sam,
Starting point is 01:50:17 finished the MCU before my girlfriend then we've been on like a four or five year journey to get her to finish the beginning to be fair sam's also getting paid for it's also it's not like a hang right kenya king let cluny play the old grumpy bruce in batman beyond i think cluny's days are done with batman shame markell 100% robert dan and junior will basically play another version of tony doom will essentially be victor von stark i hope not i keep thinking lex from batman re-superman i really don't know he better not be like from Batman v. I really, really hope not.
Starting point is 01:50:49 Josh Needle, do you think that Matt Reeves taking so much time to do Batman could impact him getting hired for other projects by studios in the future? No, because he's a phenomenal director. Now, it could also be because he's tied up in other things that he's maybe passing up other opportunities. But no, he, I mean, the movies are good, you know, and he said he hasn't heard his ability to make films. Yeah, I don't think so personally.
Starting point is 01:51:11 No. Corn Emperor, AVX, but whose side is Aaron's the Fantastic Four? What does that mean? Who side is Aaron's The F4? I don't know about the Arens. Is it just saying who's had the F4 on Between Avengers versus X-Men?
Starting point is 01:51:26 Maybe. I think it would depend on what their universes X-Men and Avengers are like If they have to. Who sides are the F-4? Maybe. I'm not sure. Go, pal. I mentioned yesterday, the first shot of Claire for Lonnie in Mallrats
Starting point is 01:51:43 might be the best thing at Kevin Smith ever photographed. She's She's, what happened to Claire? Where'd she go? She, um, I think she has a podcast now. Oh, she? Okay.
Starting point is 01:51:54 Kenya King, I better see Marvel Alliance teams combos in D-Day. I mean, that's, that's, oh, that would be fun. That would be fun. Marvel Alliance was a, uh, a video game that ran for a while and you could essentially, if Koi is, say, Wolverine and I'm like Hulk, I can go pick him up and throw him, uh, like the, the, the, the, the, the, the two of them, doing stuff together. You kind of saw that. You would recognize this.
Starting point is 01:52:20 The original Avengers, you remember at one point during the invasion, Captain American Iron Man are fighting next to each other and Captain America turns around and they use his blast off the shield. Stuff like that. That's kind of what they're. Apparently Claire Flanney's doing a bunch of TV now and she's also married to Doug Ray Scott, which I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:52:37 Oh, okay. There you. The original Wolverine cast. Hey, PLD, who's going to be my co-host on the members only, patrons only stream Q&A stream that we're about to do at 430 today, East Coast time. He says, hear me out. Seriously this time. Ed Harris has Whistler and Blade. Yeah, but how old is it Harris?
Starting point is 01:52:55 It's going to be 80 years old. And Winston, did you ever read the chaos war event? It's another way to bring back dead heroes. I don't remember chaos war. It was one of those summer events that I was like, cool. And it didn't really have an impression. I don't remember, to be honest with you. But I mean, Chris Christopherson was up there for Whistler.
Starting point is 01:53:11 So I'm cool with Ed Harris. Yeah, he's only 74. Yeah, it's fine. It's like, just roll out of bed. Look, I'm never saying no to Ed Harris getting cast in anything. Go pal. Claire sitting on the steps outside her house as, as TS pulls up. Yeah, it's true.
Starting point is 01:53:26 I just literally just watched that last, that scene last night. And it's, it's great. The movie works very well. Okay. So that's it for now. 95, guys. It's pretty good. Pretty good for a Friday.
Starting point is 01:53:38 Hey, came back on a Friday, 95 after a big long live stream over 1,100 people. What was number two? Was it this? Was it 95? What's it? No, I feel like it was a hundred something. Am I right? I don't know. Maybe Luke will tell me.
Starting point is 01:53:55 It could be. It could be. I'm not sure. Technically, you're number two, Winston, because you on your own got like 200 or something. Yeah. Anyway, so thank you guys for joining us again. Make sure you go to Koi's channel, and that's Koi Jondro.
Starting point is 01:54:11 Check him out. Check out the Swaggy Bird. That is Winston's channel. boys are back in town. We do have one more here. Mr. I crap and shits. I was applying the chair reveal was so long that Sam was able to... Ah, I got you. I got it. Now I'm
Starting point is 01:54:25 got you. Gotcha. So, it's hilarious. My mom is the biggest crush on Sam Elliott. Sam Elliott. Yes, he was... Sam Elliott was the man. Okay. Thanks again. We'll be back here next week. Well, Corey, are you going to be here? Because you're... Oh, no, we had Cinemicon, so I won't be here now.
Starting point is 01:54:40 We'll be back to me after. Back again. I said, you've gone again. I know. So, but just one week this. time and then I'm back for good in April and May and I don't want to travel for a while. God damn it, Cody. Genius movie pitches. Stephen A. as the new Ernest
