My immediate reaction was up. And then we got Lord of the Rings coming out. There's so much different stuff coming out. And TV. of that TV segment like we did last week with Roxy. Watch this. Well, we're bringing that back. She's going to talk about all the things you should be watching this weekend.

Things that are coming out, things that have been out, things you might have missed, all of that. Ryan Johnson's talking about how he's got a trilogy. Star Wars, apparently still. That's the thing. We talked about it on Sith Council, but we're going to talk about it here. Weird Al Yankovic, that trailer dropped. Brett loved it, I think.

I don't know. I'm just guessing. And Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon. We talked about it a lot last week. Roxy, did she like this one? I don't know. We're going to find out. It's all that and more on this episode of The Big Thing.

can't hear me there you go I like the new setup before when you could hear me no I went Brett walked here and I said look how great this place he's like yeah yeah I kind of did it all on my own that's not necessarily true but he definitely did 90 I didn't no you didn't

but he did and so and I'm just letting people know and again by the time that this airs I don't know if that's going to be the case anymore but I will say Brett and I we mentioned the Amazon list and what we said was like we're going to drop the Amazon list on there. And we both said, nobody will probably be getting anything on this thing. And that's fine.

Basically, all the Amazon list was supposed to do was to give us a list and say, okay, eventually we're going to have to get all of these things for the studio because they're crucial. So we just said a lot of times people, well, you know, I can't be a full on Patreon. I can be a part of the Patreon, but I can put in a super chat or I can do this. I'm like, well, look, you want to donate to the studio, you can. And not only did we have some people get some stuff, we had a lot of people get stuff. We put it up there just to say like, okay, it was a list for us to say like, because what we thought, Rocks was that we were going to basically put a list up there and go,

these are all the things that we need to get for the studio. Well, I like the way that you posted it, you were like, what do you guys think about the things that we need for the studio? Like, what's your opinion and advice on how this would look? And I was like, that's smart. I know you didn't do it to be smart, but it was smart. I just did it honestly because I wanted to know. You want people's thoughts.

Yeah. And people were saying, no, you should add this. You should add this. Oh, shit. I didn't think about that. Like, we have panels and have other things. Like, people were really. And like I said to Brett was that even, like, there's going to be some stuff that's sitting in that list forever.

And it's like, okay, then you know what? Right now, we had a pretty good month. So we're going to get that thing now. Like those panels? This month we did? No, I'm just saying hypothetical. Oh. But it just started the month today.

Today is the first day of month. It's a good month. So, yeah. So I guess that's another thing to actually tell everybody to it. So you didn't know already. So this is officially the first day that I'm actually, oh, God bless you. I'm actually on my own. I'm on my own.

I was on my own with after Collider for I think like two months. And then I signed on as an executive over at Skybound Entertainment. And, you know, now it's, now it's all me and all of us. So we thank you. What's the emotion attached to that? Right now it's pretty great. Yeah, right now it's pretty great. I'm like this the studio like the fresh start of studio like you got to see brett and I are really excited kind of getting all this stuff and doing all the stuff and things and we just like the first things came we get the surge protector so the first two things that came so we're going to be setting a love a surge protector two of them sexy surge protector well because Brett was like Brett was like yeah you're going to burn your whole studio down from the way that my setup is it's like it's like that same it's like egon and the ghostbusters and all that stuff yeah but um but anyway so yeah I'm excited man I'm really excited because the change

channel is moving right now. I think the Clips channel is going to take a little bit of time for people to get used to. I was prepared for that, though. I knew that, A, we're going to lose subscribers on that channel when we move people. B, at first, algorithm wasn't going to favor. I think right now each video is getting like 1,000, 2,000 views on it. But it'll start to go as long as there's activity on it. Tell your friends.

There is no difference in your stomach when you do that. At all. Yeah. If I go like this, it's like, oh, it's like, oh, it's like, just working really hard at it. And it's just not the angle that I needed to be. So, yeah, maybe this show will get my ass in the gym more.

My gym. My Joe. Jim and the Joe. Anyway, let's talk about stuff. Okay, so let's just start with gaming the third. Thrones, man, because Game of Thrones was a big thing for us last week. It was, I think I was on one side of the coin. Roxy was on the other side.

They're not really, though. Roxy, for the most part, really liked the show. There's just one or two scenes that she didn't like. Well, she's stupid. Yeah, it's true. It is hard when I, do you even know how to watch TV? Right. You moron.

So many people were like, you didn't watch the show clearly. And I'm like, I didn't watch along so you can literally watch me watching the show. When I came over to install the mirror ball, Roxy was facing away from the television watching a show. I was like watching the wall. Turned her around. Opened my eyes.

Oh, thank you, Brett. But this episode, Brett and I talked about a little bit on Monday, but I know that I kind of saw your tweet, but did you, so I'll tell you what we thought, and you tell me if you were the same one. I thought there's one of the best episodes of television that I've seen in a very long time.

And I'll tell you why. I thought that the character work in this show, and there was, hardly any action in it, but every single scene was memorable. Every character was developed. Every storyline was furthered. I just thought it was brilliant television. How did you feel about it?

It was really good. It was exactly what I had asked for last week, them to give me more of, which was more dragons, which matters a lot to be in more politics. And that's what the show is turning into, which is why I never said I didn't like the show because I thought that this might be where they were going. There's still some like nitpicky things I have with certain characters, but I'm excited to see where they go. And yeah, I thought that there was nothing as cool as that standoff at if I was...

Oh, did you know that whole thing was in the volume? No. Yeah, that whole thing was in the volume. I didn't realize that until yesterday, but like... Yeah, that's cool. So, yeah, we are doing spoilers. People who haven't seen it. So, yeah, we're doing that every Thursday.

It was sick. It was just super... Yeah, they had many days to watch. It was just unbelievable to see. And I love the dragons. Like, make the dragons a central part of the story. who gets the dragon eggs, what's happening with the dragons, actually watching the two different dragons at the same time.

And the difference is if you would pause and look at them, it's like they really go into detail. And then also the scoring was like sick. Really great. Yeah. And I love the idea that they brought back the original Game of Thrones music up top. Me too. Did you see that one tweet?

No. About that? Oh, my gosh. Somebody tweeted out being like, imagine having the budget this show has and just recycling the score, you lazy fucks, like went in on it. And I was like, what? That's a dumb person.

Well, that person doesn't know how I watch TV. You should go over there and teach them. But that's a dumb person. What is wrong? But that's a dumb person. I wonder if I can find it. It's bad. That's dumb.

Because the point of that is, and this is sort of the point I've been trying to make with this in general, with that score is that if the Starks had their own theme song in the original, right? And that original theme song was the Starks music. And then they're not in this series. And then you play that. Then it's like, no, what are you doing? That's not.

they're not in this. This is the Game of Thrones theme song. That's what it is. It's the Game of Thrones theme song. I don't think I'm going to be able to find it. But I thought it was brilliant. I thought it was great. I thought it was great too. But the other thing I really loved about the show was in that particular scene that you're talking about, what I did a shot at the volume, was how much you learned about each one of those characters in that scene with whatever it was.

Let's say the scene was nine to ten minutes, if that, right? So Damon, played by Matt Smith, who was just easily the best character on the show. So good. He's incredible. So. I don't know. There's some great characters, but he's so good. There's some great characters on the show. But he, to me, is the goat right now after two episodes.

Yeah, he's so good. So they're on the bridge. He's ready to take them all out. Doesn't matter who they are. He's ready to kill them. It doesn't matter if it's brother's men. Doesn't matter. He is ready to do it.

He'll prove a point. He's lying about having his lady knocked up and getting married. It's all that. It's just the attention of my, he wants my brother. I want my brother to look at me. And then he got Hight towers coming in to cause some shit. in general. And then here comes Reneiras.

When she, Renara coming in. His niece? Yeah. And, but when she says to him, come on, guy. Like, you're pissed off because of me. Kill me or don't? And he's like, I can't, I love you. I can't kill you.

And you learn so much about him. And then there's that scene I mentioned to you the other day, which is the one I love. It's my favorite scene is when he's at the very end. And he's talking to the dude. And the guy's like, and Damien goes, my brother's not very good at this. And he's like, what's that? He's like, being the king. And then dude takes a shot at him and says,

He's like, I can say something about my brother. You can't. And I was like, that tells me so much about this character. Yeah, he's still family-oriented. And I think a lot of people online are split about when he did that massive attack where he's chopping off the dicks. Sorry to anybody who it's the morning and watching this. Your dick might be in pain after I said that. But a lot of people are like, I don't think that those people were actually rapists.

So I think that he was just using it. I think they were. I think he's got like a clear moral compass. Yeah, he has a code. It's obviously different than what our code would be, but that code includes, don't talk shit about my family. I love my family.

Even when I don't stand by them, I still love them. And also, fuck you, you rapists, I'm coming for your penis. A hundred percent. Yeah.

I hear you. Well, that's why the king didn't punish him for it. Yeah. Because the king was like, because if he was just terrorizing random civilians who might be innocent, he's like,

dude, what are you doing? He's like, no, all right, well, I mean, you pretty much,

because this is a time of peace. Remember that. This is a time of peace, and the people that were doing this shit are trying to like break the system and break the rules. Like, no, they probably don't.

Time of pieces of your penis. Yeah, penis all over the thing. I was chopping dick. Hey, let me ask you a question. I saw you, it was a little busy last night for you. What was, what was on the agenda?

I went down to the city. He was chopping some dicks. Oh, okay. Is that still a thing? I thought that went out back in, you know, O3. These rapists running around. You know what?

Get over here. Chop your d'all. Chop off your dick. And when they didn't, they chopped off hands, they chopped off dicks. They were chopping off everything. Whatever you used. That's it. But it was hard because we didn't hear that they were rapists beforehand, right?

Or did we? No, I think it was until after. Yeah, because it was like, holy shit. Yeah. Why are you chopping off every day? And then you're like, oh, it's cool. But that's exactly right. That's exactly right.

You're getting to a place where you're like, wow, this guy's just a brutal, like, Joffrey type guy. And you're like, oh, wait, no, he's not. He's just, you might not, hey, it's the big thing, clips. But you might not know exactly. why he's doing it, but when you find out why he is, you're like, oh, maybe he shouldn't be doing that, but I'm all right at it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah. I hear you. Yeah, so. I really love him. I also really love her, though. She's great. And I wonder as the show progresses, who I actually think would make the best air and what we're going to think.

Because right now. It'll change every week. Yeah. Right now, I'm like, okay, that one moment where she steps in and they're all talking about what to do, and she clearly oversteps, and she says something that's not. right. I'm like, she's still young. She's young and she doesn't have the training. But he's obviously like, I don't know.

We're trying to deal with all the dicks. We chop them off. It's like, well, there's got to be something in between those two things. 100%. See, for me, airwise, she's the one that stands out to me because of the decisions she's ultimately able to make even when she chooses the dude, you got a crush on, right? Like when Christos, whatever his name is. And she says, she goes, okay, well, they want me to do this.

And you just have him pick somebody from the guard. send her away and she's like him well no you can't you're not him well yeah he's the only one that actually has fought uh i want him to protect my my dad okay that's her first kind of decision and the the conversation she has with the older queen and and going to the meetup when she wasn't invited right right right and and and and basically explaining i have that great conversation with her dad and then all the creepy stuff with the 12 year old i mean it was i mean there but but even but it was all relevant to the story itself it was funny how i last Last week was like, I'm not digging the guy sending his daughter in to go talk to the king.

You get it a little bit more now, right? No, no, that's not what I was going to say. I was going to say that. I was like cringy about that because I'm like, it's just such a wide age gap too. And then this week it's like the only way to be like, no, no, pick her. Right, right, right. Somebody that's like really young. I was like, never mind, I don't care.

Go back to the other girl. Well, apparently Allison's supposed to be like 1718. Because I think that we automatically thought. I know, I know, but I think, but I'm, but again, that's like 30 back. Absolutely, but I think whatever, whatever it is, because I think that, um, because we know that Rennara is 15, that we automatically think that Allison is, well, I think she's older, but either way, it's still the idea that. She just looked significantly older than that other.

Oh, oh, yeah, absolutely. But when they're, but when they're, but even all that and then High Tower, even because of the second episode, seeing more of what that first episode impact. We all thought from that first episode, oh, he's just sending his daughter to pleasure the king, when in reality it was like, no, just go be a companion, get in there, do your thing. And then he knew, High Tower to me is the most Littlefinger we've seen so far. He's the one that's making those moves.

And he's the guy that's kind of maneuvering. It absolutely worked. And it worked for Little Finger as well. Did you take Renera running out as she's queer and likes this girl? No. You took it as what? I took it as that's my best friend and my best friend's banging my dad. I was getting a little bit of that vibe. Yeah. Okay.

I'm not sure, but I think she's in love with her. Oh, really? Yeah. Okay. I didn't know that. Just possible. One scene when they're lying on each other outside could be best friendship for sure, but I kind of was getting like lovery vibes at least one way. And then when she was so sad, I didn't get best friend vibes.

I got, ooh, this is going to be an interesting love triangle. Yeah. The only reason why I think that I did. because I listened to the creators afterwards. And do you watch the little thing afterwards? Not the second week, the first week. So I watched the little thing of the creators through afterwards, and they were pretty much saying like,

you know, she was prepared for them to take anyone just not my best friend. And they never mentioned anything about that. So I was like, I think that that would have been significant enough unless they're teasing it down the line. Yeah. But it is. I still love the fact that IMDB lists that everybody is in 10 episodes. It's so smart.

It's so smart. Yeah, but it's great. You're outsmarting me. Yeah, I love that. But overall, this show is, I'm loving this show. Yeah, the second episode made me feel really confident that I'm going to enjoy a lot of the aspects of the show. Yeah.

I still, something that's still bothering me, okay, comments coming in. Is the fact that I think that the show believes that the king is a good dude. Yeah. And I don't believe that. Oh, wow. Okay. So, yeah, I think that they're like, this is a good guy. And I'm like, I don't feel that way.

So, but that's like, fine. Do you think you're judging him, though, on today's. standards more so than the standards of where he lives? I don't know. I've never lived in a fantasy place and a fantasy time. I hear your question, but I genuinely don't know. Like, I only can judge somebody based on my life. Yeah, but what I'm saying is you have been,

you have seen that era, you've seen that world with the first Game of Thrones, right? So like you've lived in it through watching, obviously. But the way that the rules work there and the things that happen and the decisions have to be made, it's not, he doesn't live, here. You know what I mean? Like we do watching it. So that's what I mean. Are you judging him

on the standards of like how he should be living in 2022? I wonder if this is an answer to your question. The number one response I kept continuing to get about my dislike for a couple scenes in the first episode was people being like, bet you don't like slavery shown on TV or in movies either, which is just like

there's no correlation. However, what I will say is that I when I watch things even in this world that are period pieces, like of course I judge slave owners. I judge them from my mindset now. I don't judge, I don't know how I would have felt if I was alive than what I would be thinking of that person. I can only speak of my, how I judge people based on who I am. And I think that he's not a good, now going back to the

king. Yeah. I don't know what time period I'm judging him based off of. I just don't think he's a good guy. That's, and that kind of comment is fine. And that's, you shouldn't be attacked for that because it's like saying Handmaid's Tale, you know, I hated what they did. that to that, you know, that woman then like cut her eye out. Oh, well, that's what they do! But this is the proof of why she shouldn't be attacked. This is why. Because I'll tell you right now, I disagree with you.

And that's totally fine. Right. I happen to think he might be a good guy. And I'm not like, well, fuck you. Right. I don't think you're a moron for thinking. I think you watch the show differently than I do. I think he is a good guy.

I think that he's in an impossible situation. I think that's why his brother doesn't think he's a good king. But I think that that's why he didn't choose being with the 12-year-old, you know? I think he might be a deep. decent king. I don't think he's a good guy. See, I think he is, and I think that he wants to be able to, you know, he's any, and he, it is torturing him about, about his daughter. And he wants to do the right thing and keep his ear, but he also realizes he's got to protect his line and he's got to do his duties as a king, but he also doesn't

want to be a negligent father. And he wants to be able to talk to his daughter. And he's trying to do right by his brother. And it's like, I, I think he is a good guy. I think that's ultimately the way he's, he ain't going to last very long. He's holding the fact that he's talking to the High Tower Girl. What is her name? Allison. Allison. Allison. I was going to say Allison. Allison. He's holding it as a secret, which I think is shady.

I think that stuff with the wife was obviously super fucking shady. Oh, he does stupid things. Yeah. He does stupid things. I don't know that makes him a bad guy, though. I think he's a bad guy. I don't think he's the worst guy. I don't think in this world he's the worst guy. But I'm just like, I think the show thinks that he is a shining light and I'm like, I'm not on board with him. Yeah, see, I don't know if he's a shining light. I think that I don't, for sure. I think he's, I think as any king or anybody in a position of power, a lot of decisions have to be made and whether you're trying to do the right thing or wrong thing.

I think he tries to do the right thing more so. And sometimes he tries to do the thing to protect his legacy. But I, but what I love about it is it, it has already allowed discussions like this. Yeah. That's why I think the show is working. No, he's no, he's no, he's not. No, he is not. He's not. He's not Ned Stark. Very, very different characters for sure. But so much to come. I can't wait for the show. And there's more of the thing. And then that's just one portion of take. TV that we're talking about.

That's not even the bit. That's not even the bit, everybody. We do have some stuff to talk about, by the way, in Dark Horizons. Hey, that's me. It's a good thing we have stuff to talk about because we are a show. We are a show indeed. So, you know, Ben Kingsley is returning for Marvel's Wonder Man, they said. So he already returned for Shung Chi.

Yeah, and I think a lot of people thought that he was the best part. I liked him way better in this than I did in Iron Man 3. Not the best part, but a shining part. But he was for sure. Ben Kingsley is said as to reprise his role again, his Iron Man 3, and Chung Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings role of British actor Trevor Slattery in Marvel Studios Wonder Man series for the Disney Plus service. In the comics, Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, started out as, what's not this, started out as a villain, and iconic superpowers and is eventually reborn as a superhero and founding member of the Los Angeles

based West Coast Avengers. Reports of the series are intended to be something of a Hollywood. with satire. God, there's so many ads on this. You're the pop-ups on here. Crazy. I'm annoyed, though, the way you said, stop this because I know people thought

It's just Marvel fans that don't know anything about Meg this town? It's besides. It has less to do about a Marvel fan as much about the fact that I, my wife and I will listen to music that pops up for my kids and we have no idea who they are. And when they said, make the stallion, I'm like, I was like, oh, did he just make that person up? And then like, and then there's a song that was playing.

I'm like, that sounds like a real song that I've heard on the radio. And then I looked up, it's like, oh, it's a real person. It's a real person. And apparently a very popular person. Yeah, perfect. No, no, I'm not embarrassed. No. You don't remember with everything that happy with her with Tori with getting shot in the foot.

this year and the you missed the whole thing i don't pay attention that stuff oh okay who got shot in the foot so magna this was actually a crazy so she she's amazing and like such a beacon of light and a really like seemingly good person but she was dating this guy tori lanes you know who that is okay well he's uh p o s and he was they were dating and um he the story goes but we know we know it must be true because of what happened. They were in the car together. They got in some altercation. She walked out of the car.

He shot her. Oh, wow. And she went to the hospital. He shot her at the foot. Good Lord. And so we know that the shot in the foot part, but she wouldn't speak about it because she was trying to protect him. And then he wouldn't,

he was like, no, that never happened, but she had a bullet in her foot. So, you know, and that's what happened. And then, like, a lot of rappers took his side and a lot took her side. And it was like a whole,

yeah, big story, disgusting. And she's known for a lot of other things. things too, but that was like the big thing that maybe I thought you might have heard. No, you know what I'm about? Yeah. You heard about all that?

No, I didn't, I didn't hear about that, but I've seen her on some award shows and things performing before. I'm a fan. Yeah. She's awesome. And not just, not just of the booty, as I was saying. Yeah. Yeah.

Like you said, she's part of this full. Yeah. And so she's shaking her booty with the Sheehawk at the end of the episode. Which is awesome. It was awesome. It was so cute. But I did think that, so the third episode to me, again, we're jumping back in like the first two I thought were great.

This one definitely went more towards the realm of what I thought the show was going to be initially with a lot of the, it's like now it's more like the comedy of the week. And there was three and fours tend to do that. But I still thought it was pretty enjoyable. Yeah, I'm super into this. Yeah, I did. For some reason when I talk about liking this show,

I feel like everybody I talked to likes it. But then if I say something on the internet about liking it, people are like, of course you like this show. That's a silly. I'm like, I guess I do. I do. I ignore all that shit too. But I think it's because it does scream people like me, which is people who love television,

people who love like Tatiana Maslani is gold in my world. She's really good in the show. And of course I loved Ali McBeal. So when people are like, of course you love this show, I'm like, yeah. It's meant for you. They aimed it. They aimed it at you. They aimed it at me.

And if you're aiming something at somebody and they don't like it, you're screwed. When you aim something at somebody and they do, you know that you did what you were trying to do. Well, I like it. There's also a pocket look. It's the same thing where it's so funny. We had this whole conversation the other day where people inside of our space and the movie space, the pop culture, they think that things are more popular and more known than they really are. Like where I was talking to Winston, myself and Quay, had this whole conversation about Ezra Miller. And Winston at the time was like, well, Ezra Miller is this big of everybody knows about that story.

I'm like, no. No, they don't. And inside of our space, yes, they do. My sister would have no idea who he is or who they are. No idea. I wanted to prove that. So I was walking down the street. And since then, Winston was like, I tested it out and the people that I had no clue.

You were walking down the street with my, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, with, we're walking. And there was another father there. And I said, you know what? I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to. Hey, listen. So I want to ask you question. The story that's going on. You know, what do you think about all this Ezra Miller stuff?

And he goes, who's that? And I was like, well, this one of those studies, oh, they're doing a flash movie? Didn't even know there's a flash movie coming out. Didn't know Michael Keaton was coming back. Didn't know any of this stuff. Like people that are not in our space don't know about things until they see a trailer right before the movie's going to come out within that heavy marketing push within like a couple of weeks before the movie.

Now, Johnny Depp and Amber heard very different thing. That was that was all over. That was everywhere. Like it was on NBC. It was on Fox. It was on. And YouTube with millions and millions of views. TikTok everywhere, everywhere.

So that's like the whole thing. And the reason I bring that up also, it's very similar where we live in a space where there are pockets of people, which is so strange. And it seemed like it happened in like 2016, 17 is where this started to happen. But there's a pocket of people that just want to hate stuff before it comes out. They're going to put videos about it. They're going to hate it.

They're going to tell you that they hate it because they know that's their business. and that's what they need to do. And they legit probably hate a lot of the stuff too, but they also know that they have to hate it because that's their thing to do. And then there's people who legit just don't like the stuff and want to watch. And there's other people who do love everything.

And those people too, you're like, I can't take them serious either because they just love everything that comes out. And it's like, I feel happy for them, but I can't listen to them, right? And it's like, for me, I just go to a place from like, look, I watched the trailers for Street Hulk when they came out and I said,

I don't think I'm going to like this. Same to Captain Marvel. or Ms. Marvel. When Ms. Marvel, that trailer, I said, I said, this show looks like it's a lot of fun. The difference is I didn't think she'll look good. I think Ms. Marvel always looked good. I think Ms. Marvel to me,

it looks to me more so like something that would be aimed towards my 10-year-old than for me. And I was wrong. It was aimed for everyone, and the family dynamic in that show was spectacular. I liked that better than the superhero stuff. And then She-Hulk was similar in the fact that when I watched that show, I said,

the CGIs, I got so much crap from like the Marvel lovers of like, you say the CGI looks bad and you just want to hate on this show. And I'm like, I haven't seen the show. I'm telling you like when I see something, the way that I see it, I look at it and I go, okay, I don't think that looks good. And then I see an episode. I go, oh, it's pretty good. Or it sucks. And that's what you have to do. But you can't form or change your opinion because either the haters are going to go, you're a shield, or people are going to go, you love everything or you hate everything. I get that. I get it all. I get it all. I get it all. And there's the, well, actually, you know, that's the other one that bugs me.

You know, knowing all this deep comic book stuff that the average person doesn't know about a character. I don't get that as much on this. That exists. Yeah, yeah. But I don't get that a lot on this channel. And honestly, even the stuff that I just talked about, I don't get a lot of this on this channel. Because to be honest, it's been more so of a, I think, a filter, first of all. And I also think that I've seen a lot of people who have had pretty good conversations in general who can say, listen.

here's why I disagree with you. To me, I don't give a shit if you like or dislike a show. And you've done really good with this one too with getting in there. I mean, I don't know how much you do it now that you're a lot busier, but you were commenting in the beginning a lot. I still am as much as I can. I love that. I try to comment that too.

You know, like somebody see what about a shake my head and you're like, you shouldn't do that. Right, right, right. Then they kind of calm down and they said, oh, I didn't mean to, you know. Right, right. I try to have conversations with people on this channel. And I still, it's just there's a lot of comments. which is a great problem to have.

It's just with going to everything. I go in there, I spend like, it takes a while. I was on the, I thought that when I was on the plane when I went to Florida, I thought I was going to knock down all the comments and just sit there and I sat there for like four hours and I couldn't. I just didn't even put a dent.

It was great, but I didn't put a dent. I do think, though, Christian, that you have the luxury because you've built the luxury of these being people who often agree with you because they've been following you for years. So often we follow people that like, we like their opinion. So people are on the big thing or anything that's on the Christian Harlov channel.

Of course, they like Christian Harlov. If you're watching something on Christian Harlov's channel that you don't like Christian Harlov, why the fuck are you here? Which is like, why when the couple come through where it's like, what da da da, da. It's like, bitch, do you see my name on the sign? Like, go away. If you don't like what I have to say, you don't have to be here. It's my show. So, yeah, I think that people tend to be like kinder to you.

I see you saying. I mean, I think that, but recently, though, the Game of Thrones thing, take that out. The audience has not been too rough with you. one too. Well, listen, when you dive into certain topics, you got to be, you got to have the gloves up, right? You know certain things are going to happen when you talk about certain topics. You got to, you got to know that. Like, depends on what you're talking about. Well, Mel Gibson for sure. I have strong feelings from Mel Gibson. Um, strong feelings against Mel Gibson. But a lot of people were upset on that video because what did he do? I think he's a piece of shit. Right, Roxy, go ahead. What's going on? It's me. All right, have you guys seen the untold series that is on Netflix? It's kind of like Netflix's version of 30 for 30. So they do, they usually focus on an athlete. They tell a story. And this one is the girlfriend who didn't exist.

It's the Manti Teo story. Okay. Do you remember hearing about the Manti Teo story? Is that this one? Yeah. All right. So tell me about it. Tell me.

Holy. shit this doc. This was like so difficult to get through because I was bawling my eyes out for this man. It's called Untold The Girlfriend Who Didn't Exist. Yeah. So Untold is the series that Netflix is doing. Okay, okay. The girlfriend who didn't exist is the name of this one.

I see. And it's about Manteo, who was a football player, a huge star for Notre Dame. And when he was playing there, his girlfriend and his grandmother died on the same day. And then come to find out after that made national news, the girlfriend didn't exist. And so he, there was a hole, it was in deadspin, it was ESPN everywhere. What happened? Did he know his girlfriend didn't exist or was he catfished? And so it's this doc talking about, and I don't want to give anything away, but what happened to him and how it affected his life and his career?

And I couldn't believe, my brother had kept telling me, because you guys know he's in sports radio. and he was like, you have to watch this. You have to watch this. I was like, I don't know who Mantatao is. I don't know that I care about this story. I was watching it and I, by the end of it, I was bawling, like bawling my eyes out because it's so well done. And it's not even that it will make everybody cry, but you're watching people's lives get destroyed because of the choices of some people. And it was just an unbelievable docu-series, unbelievable.

It's on Netflix right now. It came out recently, actually. mid-August, so people are just starting to catch on to it. I think it's one of the best docs of the year. I wanted to highlight it this week because the Emmys are coming up, and I thought this was one of the biggest Emmy snubs, even though the actress has nominated. The show is called Made. And this is a show that you guys might have heard me speak a lot about, especially on social media. I think it's one of the best limited series that I've seen. seen in a really long time.

Margaret Qualley, who you know from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, do you recognize her from there? That's for it. Yeah, absolutely. I didn't until you said it, but now she was with Brad Pitt and everything. Absolutely. Yeah. She also was one of the stars of the leftovers, which was one of my favorite TV shows that I can highlight at a different time.

When was she in that? Was she the daughter? Yeah. Oh, I love that show. Yeah, the show is excellent. She's really, really good. Yeah. And her mom is Andy McDowell.

and Andy McDowell is on this show also, so it's cool just like the family ties. It's a show that is about she's trying to be a maid because she's trying to take care of her daughter. And it was just this beautiful, beautiful limited series that I didn't think enough people were watching. It was my favorite limited series of 2021. And now she is nominated for an Emmy.

So I think that hopefully that will give new buzz to this show so people will go back and watch because at the time, I didn't know a single person who watched it. And to this day, I don't know anybody who watched Maid. Well, people should be watching this one. This is Netflix. This is made. All right.

So we got two on Netflix. What's next? Yeah, really excellent. The next one is something that I completely missed was coming up. Then luckily, I opened up my Hulu app and was like, oh, yeah. I forgot about the show. The Patient. Do you guys, have you seen anything about the patient yet?

Yes. I saw the trailer for it. It's Steve Carrell and Donald Gleason, right? Yeah. Ooh, they dropped two episodes of this. Oh, you watched it already? Oh, so they dropped the first two episodes of this, and I was like, oh, my God, am I going to be able to sit through all this? But the episodes are 22 minutes each.

Oh, wow. It's a drama with short episodes. And you are on the edge of your effing seat the whole time. The premise of the show is that Steve Corel is playing this guy's therapist. And this guy, you find out all of this very quickly, so this is not a spoiler. This guy is a serial killer. He kidnaps Steve Correll and puts him in a basement to give him therapy to try to stop being a serial. killer. It is like, it's kind of like room, but with Steve Carell and it's so dramatic. I was like,

I couldn't breathe when I was watching it. It's originally FX, but I'm watching it on Hulu. I'm so glad FX and Hulu do that thing together, by the way. It makes it really convenient. And it's on right now. So they've dropped two episodes. Then next week will be another two episodes. I think that's what's Hulu is doing. Steve Kroll just amazing in it. Like within 30 seconds, you hear a scream from him that I was like, oh my gosh, he is unbelievable. I would bet money on the fact that he's going to win an Emmy from the show. Win? Okay.

At least be nominated. He is so good. So that one, then that one is on Hulu and that one is called the patient. I've been looking forward to that one for sure. Are you going to actually watch, knowing that it's shorter? I was going to watch it anyway because I saw the trailer and I was very curious about it. And I like both those guys for sure. Get on it now because then you don't have to binge.

It has to be on the list. It's coming out this week. It's the Rings of Power, which is the Lord of the Rings show. I know that there's a mixed amount of excitement about this, but it is the most expensive show of all time. So just for that reason, I feel like people need to watch this. Because what does a billion dollars get you? I need to know.

Yeah. Like what does a billion dollars look like? Billion dollars. Yes. I thought each episode was fit was, was. With the rights to the show and the, and, um, the $750 million that it took to make this show, it is a billion dollar TV show we are watching. That's like.

That's insane. Insane. So what does that look like? It's going to be, there's two episodes that are coming out in September 1st. They're doing something weird. They're dropping two episodes on Thursday. And then it's going to be every Friday after that one episode, I think. Okay.

So wait. So the other, so the other question, I guess. have is that the reactions to the show so far from critics that I've seen it have been pretty positive. Yeah. Definitely people seem to be happy with it so far, but I don't know if those people are diehard Lord of the Rings fans. Right, because that seems to be the biggest problem. People who have the biggest problem right now are big Tolkien fans.

Right. So we'll see how that ends up being. That's rings of power. So that's this, that comes out this Thursday? That comes out on September 1st. September 1st. September 1st. So today, tonight.

this is going to be on Discovery Plus. And it is House of Hammer, which, of course, is the Army Hammer Dock. We know that his aunt is coming clean about everything that's gone on in the Hammer family. Apparently, this is going to address if he is a cannibal or not, what actually happened. It's a crazy trailer.

It's a crazy trailer. The allegations of the two women against him and everything to do. with Army Hammer and Army Hammer's lineage. So I think that this is going to be wild. It's a three-part docu series. They're dropping all three parts on Discovery Plus on September 2nd. So I think that this is like must-see TV. I have a feeling that this is going to be what people are talking about.

The only concern I have is, does everybody have Discovery Plus? And are they going to be watching it because of that reason? Where do you get it? It's just like a separate app. Where do you get it? The App Store. No, no. It's on the app store.

Yeah, I checked it out. And I like you, I'm a big sports fan. And what I loved about the pilot episode of this is that you've got two celebrities that are purchasing a club team.

And they are pitching in the pilot. They're pitching themselves to the town and to the people and to the people who are involved in the club to see whether they can buy it or not. And they are talking about sports the way we talk about sports. You know, Rob is speaking about how like growing, that the Eagles winning the Super Bowl for him is a top five moment of his life up there with his kids being born and getting married, things like that where it's like when sports mean everything to you, you understand sports meaning everything to somebody else. It doesn't matter if you're not, if you haven't always been a soccer fan, football, whatever. Like if you know what it means to have a championship, then you understand sports. And so like the two of them make really passionate

owners. And it's a cool doc so far. I want to continue watching it. And I also don't know anything about football and what they break it down in a really great way where like they explain here are the different leagues here's why you're trying to get to this league with all these graphics and I'm like oh thank gosh because I love sports but I don't know shit about soccer so well there you go and that's and so that's that's that's available now as well and that's on FXulu as well okay so I got one well yeah no I just I want you to check out and I'd love to hear if you would do you like stand-up specials yeah uh Gary Goldman Oh, I remember Gary.

So Ryan Johnson was doing an interview, and there's been all this talk and wonder over the last five years of whether or not he was going to do a Last Jedi, not Last Jedi, was he going to do a Star Wars trilogy and people that, nah, it's not going to happen, never going to happen.

There's been no talk about it. Well, the interview that he had said he's still talking to Kathleen Kennedy a lot, still wants to make it happen, still thinks it's going to happen, but just, you know, wants, it doesn't want to leave that universe and wants to come back to it. Stefan and myself talked about it on Sith Council yesterday. So I'm very curious, Rox, is this something that he should return to? So it sounds to me, correct me or wrong. We don't know what, but he's doing a trilogy is what he was confirming.

That's what he said. I mean, well, in 2017, whenever it was announced, they said that he was going to be doing a full new trilogy, wherever the hell, you know, time period. But then after the reception that Last Jedi got, it was just kind of like, we're not doing that anymore. People love it.

I like him and I like that movie. So I'm not the right person to ask because I don't. Because you're curious. You want to see what he's going to do. Yeah. So like for no reason other than I like him and I like that. that movie, but I don't know enough to know about like what the future of Star Wars should be. You know, when you guys talk about different time periods, I'm like, I don't know when the fuck

that it is. So for me, I feel like this is going to the major me fans that, but that's maybe not who you should be targeting. No, I don't think that they should be. Yeah. To be honest, because. Right, but you get what I'm saying. 100% I do.

But the reason why I would say you don't do that is because of that same reasoning, if a Tycho, a Titi movie comes out, which is let, it's still not the best from in my, in my opinion right now. people are more excited about something like that. Or let's say, you know who? You just mentioned leftovers, right? Lindelof is heavily rumored. He's been, he's been, he was, Snyder broke the story that.

Jeff? Yeah, Jeff broke the story that Lindelof was in talks with them. And then recently he also, there's a follow up that Snyder posted that, um, he's been on the lot talking into Disney lot a lot talking about certain projects and they're pretty sure it's the Star Wars one. So to me, it's like you launch with a Lindelof movie if you're going to because I think you'll have more on both sides. Is he a Star Wars run?

I believe so, but even if he isn't, but the point is that what you just said, you'll still be very excited to see that. Stoked, but I... So will the people who don't like The Last Jedi because, and then you don't have to have that... Clash. Yeah, and you have, and you're going after both sides,

and there are certain people who don't love Lindelof, but it's not, not the same way as that they have this thing with Johnson. Yeah, there's some... Yeah, I think you stay, I... The Ryan Johnson Last Jedi stuff, for some reason, turned into a right-wing versus left-wing type of, And it's not, and it's not, I'm not saying that one's right. I'm not saying, I'm not saying, it's, it's similar to when you look at the news. Intensity, yeah. It's that same type of thing. Ruin Star Wars. I mean, no, that's what I've heard people say. It's like, it does, it did cause people to double down because I really like the Last Jedi. But then, like, everybody made me like it more because they liked it less. So it felt like I had to love it. It was like a stance. I was on the defense all the time. Like, ah, well, it's the greatest movie ever. And I'm like, I just think I just think I.

I liked it. I think I liked the movie. That's what I'm saying is I think it's like this weird stance. And it's weird because you're also allowed to because I still get fucking morons. Morons like dumb. When you changed your mind. Or like when you saw it more. Yeah.

Really dumb people like stupid people. Oh, I remember when you saw it the first time that you loved it. And I'm like, you can watch something again and realize, okay, look, I didn't like this as much as I thought I did. And then you watch it again,

and you go, I like this less. And like, we have to do a rewatch of it. I genuinely disliked that movie. Like it's, it's one of my least favorite Star Wars of all time. You're not allowed to do that,

And if you're like, oh, yeah, the next movies we're going to do, three new movies from Ryan Johnson, you might as well just take a shit in the middle of some of his cafeteria and go, who wants to eat some steak? You know, it's like.
