Starting point is 00:00:00 Happy Thursday, everybody. Welcome back to another free-flowing, shit-kicking story about me and a donkey named Ed. Have you ever heard that story about me and a donkey named Ed? Oh, man. It was something. I remember that my grandfather used to tell me that back in probably the late 80s. And you played Depeche Mode in the back. Hamilton watches, everybody.
Starting point is 00:00:30 They don't even a sponsor anymore. Welcome back to the show. it's a nice time, it's a great time, it's a wonderful time. And I'm going to talk to you guys about a lot of different things. We're going to do a lot of TV. Shogun. That's the main thing. That's probably going to be the topic.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Topic is going to be Shogun reviews? Is Shogun the best show on television right now? That's the topic. That's why you clicked on it. And I thought about that all week. That was going to be the title. I thought it. And I promise you that I didn't just come up with that right now.
Starting point is 00:00:59 If you're brand new to the channel, hit that button, subscribe to the channel. We have a daily news channel that has UAP news, and it's every day. You can go there. It's called Down Earth, Christian Arloff, please do it. We'll talk about the Oscars, talking about whether or not I guarantee Roxy loved them. Another question is, did I love him? The question is, what did Brett think? That's the most important.
Starting point is 00:01:22 And there'll be a few other things. I saw Arthur the King. If you saw my ad of the theater reaction and judging from the views, not many of you did. but I am going to talk about that movie with Roxy and Brett as well. And that's all. I am going to guarantee you that the majority of what I just introed won't be talked about much. Because I think today is going to be one of those shows, guys. I can feel it in my bones.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Great. All right. Let's get to it. Let's go talk about that time. And you tell me about that time. Okay. Welcome back I'm going to do I'm sweating like a
Starting point is 00:02:13 animal over here All right It's me Roxy Stryer Brett Sheridan And the gang is back in town You're drinking one of those Everybody's drinking those now Roxy
Starting point is 00:02:28 No I'm showing it to that Oh This is what orange looks like wow I think this makes me look more orange It does look at me gone What? It does look you make more orange Did you see Kung Fu Panda Kung Pu Fanda? You didn't see it?
Starting point is 00:02:40 I didn't see one, two, three or four. So you don't give three shits. Jack Black, right? Yes. Then I care. You care because it's Jack Black. He is pretty damn likable. Yeah. He is pretty damn likable. It's wrong, Brett. I saw the first one. I can't remember if I saw two. I know I didn't see three. I didn't know they made that many. I think there's four, right? There's four now.
Starting point is 00:02:59 So this is the fourth one. How was it? It's fine. The first three are a lot better. Oh. Yeah. I'm going to, I'm taking the little one to see it again. She hasn't seen it, but I'm going to wind up seeing it. again because she hasn't seen it. So, and she's been... You went solo? Why? You went solo?
Starting point is 00:03:14 Yeah. You went solo. Why did you say what? Like, you know? Like an old Jewish man in Brooklyn? Like Al Pacino doing the Oscars? Huh? Did you see?
Starting point is 00:03:25 How bad was that? No. I love Al Pacino, but that was the... Everybody's... You're the one person that thought it was good? No, just like, who cares? It was... He, he...
Starting point is 00:03:38 First of all, he was... So before we get into any of that, because we will talk about that, Brett watched the entire thing and his review of it was really, like, I couldn't believe, like, he was so detailed. Brett, can you tell the audience your full-on review of the Oscars this year? Well, I mean, what the, the opening song, the opening song was probably my favorite. I mean, ever since, like, Billy Crystal used to do it, it was so good. and, you know, kind of, like, you know, people are getting away from having hosts, these days. I think now that hosting is back. You feel it.
Starting point is 00:04:15 And the host, they were awesome. I know that it was Simon Pegg. Yeah. Was the host of the Oscars. Yeah, he did a great job. Or Jimmy Kimmel, but either one. Yeah. Oh, no, that's why I said.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Jimmy goes by Simon Pegg dressed as Jimmy Kimmel. Yeah, I always confused. Yeah, yeah. John Sina was a hit. He was actually. Did you know that? No, I did, yeah, I did know that. What was John wearing?
Starting point is 00:04:45 He was wearing nothing. So that made it through to Brett. Yep, that made it through. I know that Melissa McCarthy. Yes. Oh, man, the stuff she did. Oh, she did some stuff. Man, it was good.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Yeah. The immemorial was a little disappointing because they left out a few. people that I would have liked to have been in. Like who? Like Jeremy, Scottsboro. He was a big producer when I was coming up. What was his movie that he did that you loved?
Starting point is 00:05:18 Oh, that was to turn a phrase. Right, right. With the Dweedle sisters. You know, there's something about those Dweedle sisters. D. No, no, no. That's the Dweeel. That's the Dweeel.
Starting point is 00:05:30 No, no. The Tweedle sisters, they used to do this thing with tricycles. Oh, man. It was a daredevil at the best. Yep. Yeah. So go ahead. Are you finished? Oh, and I mean, but I mean, the movie that took it all was.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Was? Openheimer. Openheimer. Strangely enough, you got some of that accurate. So you watched. I did watch. Me? I watched.
Starting point is 00:05:58 It was the best Oscars in probably 10 years. Oh, good. It was good. I taped it. I went that for it. taped it. You taped it? Yeah, I put a VHS. I put a VCR in. Actually, no, I was, I didn't know it started so early.
Starting point is 00:06:11 I love that. It started so early. Yeah. And I think I started it. Well, the reason is because I think Melissa McCarthy was hosting and then Billy, I just Irish sang right after that. Not hosting. She was presenting right before that. I don't even remember her presenting. She presented with Octavius Spencer. Yes, which was good. But I'll tell you, the, the presenter that stole the show were Emily Blunt and Ryan Gossel. By far and away.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Awesome. I heard he sang. He was great. And then everybody loved a comedian with the white dude skinny. Oh, oh, Julianne. He did such a Brett bit. He did such a Brett bit. He kept going and gone. It's my favorite
Starting point is 00:06:54 thing. I like John Malini. And I said this on the show you straight. But I'm not like a massive fan. But like when he does stuff, I'm like, okay, that's impressive. This bit is one of the best. He starts talking about, well, he took a shot at Madam Webb, but he starts talking about, I don't know how he got into it. In a funny way.
Starting point is 00:07:09 It wasn't mean at Madam Web. Yeah, there's just a show of dialogue. He's talking about script writers and just, you know, and he gets into this thing about Field of Dreams. And he starts talking about Field of Dreams, but he gives the first line of what the movie's about, and he proceeds to tell the entire plot. And his entire speech or his entire presentation is getting like faster and faster.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Just the plot of Field of Dreams. It was. hilarious. It was really good. It was hilarious. And he did that thing where he sat in it at first where he's just talking about the movie. And you're like, in my head, because I just know it, I'm like, he's going to, he's going to do this whole plot.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Because you could feel the audience at first going, oh, I get it. Yeah. You know, because at first you're like, well, what's he doing? And you're like, oh, I get it. And then it was hilarious. You just drug it on until they could, yeah, until it just became, that's the bit. What other presenters are you like? I liked the scene a bit. I thought that was really fun.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Oh, yeah. The scene a bit was great. I've seen a bit with Camel. I like the Garmo bit. People hate that. I love the Garmo bit. People slammed that. I saw nothing but love for it. Really?
Starting point is 00:08:11 Yeah. I was on a lot of people's worst list. Oh, I loved it. That was great. Yeah, the whole thing with Charlie Starnel. It was great. That's a very Brett bit too.
Starting point is 00:08:19 His wife. I thought that was so funny. Yeah, and yeah, I liked that bit. There was many bits. There were a few performances that... I'm just Cam was the greatest. I mean, it was great. It was great.
Starting point is 00:08:29 But Billy I said a great performance. That song is, wow. Man, any, that's if you want to fill down and out. I know. It's a, it deserved it's W, I think. Yeah, for sure. He's a really beautiful song. And most of the winners I thought were deserved.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Me too. I was actually really excited for Emma Stone. I know that a lot of people were upset by that. And I understand that I think Lily Gladstone is great. She's great. I think she will get her. Yeah. She will get it.
Starting point is 00:08:53 But to me, Emma Stone had the best performance of the year. It was so challenging. It was really challenging. The other one that is not talked about. about at all who I thought, if she would have pulled out an upset, I'd be like, okay, it was Carrie Mulligan. Carrie Mulligan was doing magic and maestro. Like, she stole the movie in general.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Huh. Really great. Did you see that movie? Yeah. I thought she was very good. I thought she was great. Everybody nominated was really good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:17 I just think that Emma Stone had such a hard job. Agreed. And she knocked it out of the park. And I, I believe in, like, getting the Oscar for the, for what won. Agreed. I had the best performance. Yeah. Even though she's already won one, and even though she's,
Starting point is 00:09:32 only 35 and whatever. I think that she deserved it. You know what's funny about that is that even though, yeah, I saw some pushback on it, for the most part, I saw a lot of what you just said from people going, yeah, but I think that she deserved to win. I mean, look at some of the other winners were just, it was, I thought it was all deserved. I mean, Divine Randolph. I think Divine passed away.
Starting point is 00:09:57 No, no, not Divine Randolph, though, from. She was so good. She was really, really good. Lovedovers. Loved her. She was excellent. And her speech was beautiful. Yes, it was.
Starting point is 00:10:06 The only one that I thought could have went either way was Gianmani. Because they were trading off forwards back. Did he get it or no? He didn't win it. The thing about his contact, I didn't know. That's crazy. What was it? That he wore one soft contact for the whole performance.
Starting point is 00:10:22 I mean, when my eyes are, I'm sure you guys know this too. You get so dizzy and out of it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, Nicholas Cage was hilarious. I love that they're doing that. I listen to Dan Merle, talk about how he's not loving that they do that because he said that, by the way, Dan had awesome Oscars coverage.
Starting point is 00:10:40 He always does a great job, even though him and I disagree on a lot of things. I think he does a great job explaining himself, but he spoke about how he wishes that there was a personal connection between every individual. And I do wish that too, but he thinks that they should do that instead of doing past winners. And I kind of like that they do the past winners and they come out and they try to make the most personal. connection, you know? Oh, oh, okay. Do you get what I'm saying? I do. Yeah, but I'm saying. So I kind of thought that they did a mixture of that for this because I guess they were all past winners, but, and maybe find someone that does have a connection with them. They do the best they can. It's cool to see them
Starting point is 00:11:17 just like pass it on, especially like Arita Moreno to an America Frere. Which is great. Yeah. Some of the things. It's just so cool. I like that way better than, and I like that they only did it for the acting awards. That that worked well. Look, you're not going to find in this room a bigger Pacino than me. So what bothered you so much? I haven't even seen this hate. It's not bothered. Oh, this came from everywhere. Wait, so what people were... It's not
Starting point is 00:11:41 bothered. It said, okay, so first of all, he wasn't supposed to even do it. He wasn't even supposed to do it. It's supposed to be Sharon somebody else who was supposed to do it. For the last minute, they got Pacino to do it. You got to see this next. Pacino comes out and he goes, first of all, he had, talk about all Jewish men in Brooklyn.
Starting point is 00:11:57 He has gone from, oh, talking up here. What he was, that's a more Keith Ledger. But when he was younger, to getting into a Southern draw, as he was younger, to now, okay, ha, ha, everybody. I don't even remember what did he say now. So he comes out and he goes, he's just like, okay, everybody, I'm here, and I got the best picture, and here we are.
Starting point is 00:12:21 And he goes, he doesn't even read, he's supposed to read the top 10 nominations, doesn't even read them, doesn't read the nominations at all. And he goes, I'm here to present it and, okay, getting the end of the show. here and he felt like my dad trying to figure out how to bring that clicks up. I guess I just liked it because it's him. That's exactly.
Starting point is 00:12:38 And he goes and he's just like and then it was the most anti-climatic read you're ever going to get and he goes um, my I see up in Heimel. I like that he said that. He did say my eye see.
Starting point is 00:12:53 But it was, but it was just I got to find let me see if I can find the clip. Come on, Christian. Ow. All right. There he is. Here it is. Ten wonderful films were nominated, but only one will take the award for Best Picture. And I have to go to the envelope for that.
Starting point is 00:13:20 And I will. Here it comes. I love him so much. It's so cute. And my eyes see Oppenheimer. Yes, Emma Thomas, Charles Morgan. What's wrong with that? Oh, Roxy, come on.
Starting point is 00:13:39 It's not a great... My eyes. Yeah, Plyneheimer. Because the answer is this, you're building... Do I love Puccino? Of course, you're building... But he didn't say Lala Land? No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:13:48 It's not like a botch. Okay, so when you're presenting the... It's the last award. It's the big one. He's not a great presenter. I think he's the greatest presenter, but I thought that it was... It's Puccino. It's like one of these...
Starting point is 00:14:00 You almost wanted to do this. And the best picture nomination. goes to my I see Oppenheimer Of course, of course, but you're a presenter. My see I'm gonna' He doesn't
Starting point is 00:14:15 have to care because he's 82. Yeah. He doesn't care. So who's supposed to do it? I think it was Cher and somebody else. And then what happened? I don't know. I can't remember what it was.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Rokka told me this story, but I always forget things. And you weren't listening? I was, but things go like this, Roxy. Everything? A lot. Most people. People tell me things and how many times have you told me something and then you've like I told you that already.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Right? Quite a few. It happens to me. Yeah. So? My see up and I'm a. Roxy. Oh.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Oh, yeah. I won an Oscar. Four? Being the best motherfucker in the town. In the town. Hey, all you hate is out there and I know there's lots of issues. I saw the comments and they said, don't. Don't you put big balls on the show of rocks anymore because that's inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:15:08 But I'm going to inappropriate my balls on your face. Yeah, come on, each and everyone, I'm going to sneak into your computer, and I'm going to fuck your pets. That's right, right, Brett? Yeah, yeah. How you doing, your little stink ass? I am stinky. I smell like you. Whoa, watch your motherfucking mouth, bitch.
Starting point is 00:15:28 I was telling you, I actually smelled you from about a mile away, and I said, is that my mama? And I said, no, it's Brett. I said, what's that, Brett? Got a good musk. Oh, yeah, like a little, little, little stink towel is what I go. Oh, yeah. You ever date a stink towel? How many is the question?
Starting point is 00:15:47 I like you. I like you. We go, let's get the fuck out of here. Let's go drink some mimosis. Yeah. I want to hear about your mom. He left. Oh, sorry, man.
Starting point is 00:15:58 One question you finally asked the guy. Psycho-analyze, you know? What happened there? left. Anyway. Yeah, he was scared. Yeah. A little bitch, yes.

Starting point is 00:20:20 In life? No, come on with the dating scene. Remember the guy that flew in and then ghosted? Yeah, is he back? He texted me yesterday. Oh. Oh. He always come back.
Starting point is 00:20:29 What happened? He needed help with something. Oh. Tell him to scratch his ass? Uh, kind of. Good. Not in the mean way. Um,
Starting point is 00:20:37 he was like, how are you? I was like, I'm amazing things. That's it. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah,
Starting point is 00:20:41 he needed help with something that I could spend 20 minutes trying to help him, but why would I do that? Right. Especially if he ghosted you. Yeah, instead I just was like, sorry, don't know how to help with that.
Starting point is 00:20:52 And he was like, well, anyway, how are you? And I was like, I'm amazing. Life's perfect. Right. You're like,
Starting point is 00:20:56 eat shit. Yeah. Um, so that's, I'm eat shit. How about that. That's right. The guy that I'm eat shit.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Yeah, that's what I want to tell. Hey, don't try to make sense of it. Yeah, I'm eat shit. How you feel about that? Yeah. How you like that apples? I eat shit. The guy that Snyder was, remember, I told you Jeff was supposed to send me on me on tonight.
Starting point is 00:21:17 So Jeff called me this week. He's like, um, how to go? Like, do you call you? And I was like, no? Yeah, perfect. No. And he was like, wait, but my brother said that he was going to call. And I was like, well, he didn't.
Starting point is 00:21:29 And he was like, oh. Okay, well, sounds like he's not going to then. Oh, yeah. See, you're not going to get a dishonest answer at him, Judge Snyder. No, no. He's going to play it straight off. That's weird. He's probably not going to call.
Starting point is 00:21:43 Yeah, that's true. Yeah, and he didn't. I haven't heard of him. I mean, this was like two days ago. And that's kind of... You're just over this shit? Because I'm over listening to it. For me, I know.
Starting point is 00:21:52 I don't know. I just think that it... I'm not as stressed about it anymore. Yeah, I wouldn't be. You know that if you lived in Boston, you'd be married with two kids or a little. Yeah. Right, and I don't, because that's not what I wanted. So then this is what I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:22:05 And I'm, like, slammed right now, and I'm booking, and I'm busy, and I'm happy. So it's just not as big of an issue. Would I like to find my person? Yeah, but I think that they're going to just... It's not the priority right now. I think they're going to find me. I don't want to say it's not the priority because it's always going to be a priority. I want to have a family.
Starting point is 00:22:21 So it has to be a priority, so I'm not going to be like, I'm not going on dates. It's not really chasing it that way. Good for you. Why should you? Yeah, we'll see. Good. Brett? No, still not dating.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Not dating? No, no, what's going on? Well, you know, the one gal that ghosted me. Yeah. What happened there? She called me up again out of the blue and was like, can you help me break this back? And I said, no, I'm a married man. So this was somebody different.
Starting point is 00:22:52 I thought you were telling you right. No, I got hobs in different area. No, that's fair. Okay. Who's the one that asked you to slap her with a piece of ham? Oh, yeah. That was Sally Swithelston. Yeah. Never forget a name. These names are... No, I've got them all. Yeah. I mean, you know, you talk about somebody being on a different level. Yeah. When you were on a show that's about film and television and whatnot, when you pull out... Dick?
Starting point is 00:23:24 Yeah, you pull out your dick. And you're like, hey, is this smell funny? People take notice. But if you say, if you're trying to think of a name of somebody who could possibly host the Oscars, and Simon Pegg is the only name that comes in your head, you know you're dealing with a professional. Still after, you know what's hilarious about that? I still see this comment, which I get a kick out of. It doesn't happen as often as it used to, but it still comes in. I'm sure you've seen it in Brett.
Starting point is 00:23:50 What is that? It's a spider. Get it. Get it out of it. Let it climb. Be free. What did that accomplish? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:00 You just didn't get on rocks. You just put it. What? How do you know it's smart? Spiders are good for you. You just put it in it. What was they saying? Oh,
Starting point is 00:24:07 the comment. The comment that I see. They used to. Brett serious or something? Well, it's just like, it's my favorite. Well, I love Brett, but what's he doing on a movie show?
Starting point is 00:24:18 You don't know anything about it. Guys, we're not on Collider anymore. We're not on Shmows. This is a show where, like I said, Who knows if we even get to everything on Thursdays, I don't even know. I like to goof around. I did go back and I watched the Santa Claus bit again, and I watched the, not the Mrs. Garrett, but the Rob Zombie thing.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Those two things, those moments are two of the best moments ever on this show. Bobby Z. Ever. And I hope that. What was the Rob Zombie thing? The rumor was that he had spent like 40 mil, or that he had gotten a 40 million budget for the Munsters. and then Brett and I just kind of went off on a tangent about... I don't see that.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Yeah, I was like, I miss the interviews. I know you don't. I do, that's not true. I totally miss the interviews, but it goes back to our conversation that we had about the influencers and stuff, right? It's that it is so much of a... I've been talking to a publicist about trying to bring her on board to get us guests and to do stuff,
Starting point is 00:25:21 and but the struggle always is no matter how good the book is, right? No matter how good the booker is, the talent booker, it's always the studio thing of, well, how many followers, how do we get them there? It's so much still in that old school mentality of, you know, if it's not TV, then it's not going to get the kind of notice and certain outlets. Yeah, but some of our interviews have millions and millions of millions. It doesn't matter. A lot of those, though, come from like, well, Collider. Collider gets a lot of people, but we, we, I haven't tried as much. I am going to have David Delsmouch it on Which he's calling in and I like him a lot
Starting point is 00:26:00 Yeah me too I mean he's got a new movie coming out The first movie I was in he was in Oh okay Man's the method Oh yeah because he's friends with Kevin J all them Right right he's he's great So it's not that I'm not doing them
Starting point is 00:26:11 I want to do them It's just what I'm not going to do What I want to do I also want to get I want to make sure Because the audience as we know They're going to click on the ones that they want to see And I got offered a bunch of people and people who might have a wonderful career.
Starting point is 00:26:25 But I've got, I pitched a couple. I'm like, I know that my audience is not going to care about this. I don't know I say that. But I know my... You're right. I just know that a few. But I just said, I know they're not going to care about this. And it's like when I know that we can be doing other things
Starting point is 00:26:40 or covering other stuff and the audience is, they have so much different shit that they can pick from, if they see someone that they care about, they'll click on it. Right. And that's what I've been, I'm trying to make more of a push on those. And when I get those in studio, of course I'll have you do it with me. But it's like right now.
Starting point is 00:26:56 And I have. But the other thing is for the UAP show, what's funny is I'm getting inside of the community itself. If you know it, I'm starting to get big guess on that show. That's cool. Like so we just on Thursday, Rear Admiral, former, a retired rear Admiral Tim Galadette, who at first thing, you know, the Go Fast UFO that was that kind of that the David Fraver and all them saw. he saw that way before it was released and leaked. I have him and I didn't, how much do you know about U.S.Os, by the way? Not much.
Starting point is 00:27:31 So this whole documentary that this guy Darcy Weir did and this is how I got Tim Gallaudet. And the reason why Tim Gallaudet is, Tim Galadette is. Wait, I know his name. What else is he done? Yeah. It's not a bunch of different UAP. So probably, I know. But Tim Galadette, what I found out,
Starting point is 00:27:45 just kind of going back to this whole conversation, how this started, was I found out through Darcy and he said I said how many is he because Tim gave me a lot of stuff like a lot of stuff that like that was he's like in Darcy's like wow he said a lot of things that I've never heard him say and that people are gonna and I'm like well he's I was like okay well maybe he might say it on a few of the other interviews that he's doing he's like he only is doing yours and one other show one other show and he said he did yours because he likes what you're doing oh good and I was like that's awesome so in that community I think I'll have a lot more people on there because I'm going to get the people in that I know that that community is going to click on.
Starting point is 00:28:23 So that's the goal for this show. So it's not that I don't like the interviews. It's just I want to make sure that they're people's clicking on. I just miss them. I love learning about people. Me too. And I miss that. That was the coolest part.
Starting point is 00:28:36 I mean, that was the best part about Collider Live. It was sick. It was the best part. It was like. It still comes up all the time. Like people will still all the time tag me in like these viral clips that will go all of sudden, whatever it is.
Starting point is 00:28:46 It's so cool. Yeah. I mean, yeah, we did. We did that show, I mean, considering it was only on the show, the air for like two years or whatever it was. It's like, we had a lot of great guests in the good moments. I know, I know. But yeah, no, it's not, why did you think I didn't like the interview? No, I just mean you don't miss the show.
Starting point is 00:29:01 And that makes me really miss the show. Oh, well, I mean, but that could have done, that, that makes me hate the show more. And I'll tell you why, because I think that you and I could have done that. I would have, if I could have done it all over again, I would have, I always thought about this. I would have left, I was supposed to leave in. 2018, the end of 2018, and I didn't. But I was supposed to, I got a job offer
Starting point is 00:29:25 and I turned it down. 2018 I was going to leave. Do I know what you're talking about? I think so. I've talked to you about it. But, but, and it was before, I think it was before, yeah, it was before Clare Live even launched.
Starting point is 00:29:35 But what I would have done, if I could do it all over again, I would have started a show like this, basically what we're doing now, if I knew what I knew now, you know? And I would just build it out here, and then the interviews, I would have an interview show with you, and I doing that and I yeah it was I just there were so many times where even at sky but I remember
Starting point is 00:29:56 you and I thought about doing some kind of interview shows and stuff it's just it's just a matter of you got you've got to break it it's like the publicists and everything too they got to they've got to want to help you that's how it works is like they've they've got to want to help your show and that's why we're trying to build this audience and the more that we get you know the subscribers and the views and everything too it's an easier case to make when you when you when I would was pitching. I mean, when we got Diego Luna, and that was, that was because Perry hooked it up and everything, too. But when we got Diego Luna, we had like 50,000 subscribers, maybe 55. Now we're at like 130. When we get to like 300, 400, 500, way easier to get guests. Yeah. And that's going to be, it's what it takes. And I'm not, I still, I want to, I want to do it. And I want to do, and especially that studio that we were shooting Katie show at for a bit. Like, I will go back to use that studio because it's great. And we can do a bunch of different things. Did you see that shitty comments?
Starting point is 00:30:51 Somebody said about you and Riley on the UFO show or USA? Who's that you? No, no. No, it was like, I can't, I don't know why these guys are doing it. What is they called? UAP. Yeah, UEP show, they're not aliens. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Like, only aliens should do them. Yeah, it was a total. Yeah, you are taking jobs away from the aliens. Yeah, the alien life form. I know. Yeah, we had that conversation as we pitched the show. And, I mean, at least have. one on, at least have one on.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Again, publicist. Oh, Jesus. The lack of representation of aliens on your show is disgusting. I will say it's the one part that makes it hard to watch. And I can't disagree with you. Yeah. We've had conversation. They don't want to come on. Eminems are involved
Starting point is 00:31:37 and all this other stuff. The green ones? Well, no, that's a little bit, that's a little. Too cliche? Yeah, okay. That's a stereotype. I think that's probably, you should probably apologize for that. Can you cut that part? No. Okay. Clip it out. Can't go out.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Anyway, so what do you guys think? Tell me what your favorite Hershey chocolate bar is. Okay. Cookies and cream. Is it? Oh, it's pretty good. I like ice cream. Of the Hershey's ones, the cookies and green one is by far.
Starting point is 00:32:02 That is pretty damn good. All right, let's talk complete nonsense and the first person who breaks loses. You ready, Brett? Yeah. Okay. Brett, I want you to tell me about the sheepskin that you used to juggle with. Well, I don't know if you knew. this, but I went to clown college,
Starting point is 00:32:20 Barnman Bailey, clown college. I dropped out of my regular college to go there, and everybody had to have, like, a specific act, and mine was juggling sheepskin. That makes sense. Yeah, there was a guy that would... Six whips? Yeah, six whips with the sheepskin, and then, you know, there was a guy
Starting point is 00:32:35 that would, you know, guess what you ate by sniffing your farts. I mean, there's all kinds of different. Show yourself, show what you've done, because you just... That was you, Christian. You lost. Don't not show you yourself if you're going to lose you're a loser
Starting point is 00:32:50 it was the fart he knew it too he knew his audience he was like what to do is sneak in and somebody getting roxy to break would be the toughest I believe yeah it's true yeah because I think something else humor is absolutely trash how many times if we made ourselves laugh
Starting point is 00:33:13 and you just sat there over and over and over yeah and just rocks just like we had her going the other day though last it was like the last The other table one? The other table was a good one too. And then I think even... Though sometimes you guys really make me...
Starting point is 00:33:25 When you get me laughing, I actually can't calm down. Like, it's so long. It's just really hard. Yeah. But... You know, that's going to be a clip. But it takes me a long time to get there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Did you do that on purpose? As I was going, I was like, this is really what I mean. It's long and it's hard and it's really... There's 100,000 dudes that just put that on. their phone as a ringtone. Yeah, what is it, Roxy? It's logged. All right.
Starting point is 00:33:58 All right. Okay. I don't know. Oh, pop on over to the above board TV. I'm finally in a sketch from New York City. And there's two of them, if you want to go back and watch, click the link. Click the link in the top corner of the, is that how that works? No, there's no link.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Oh, yeah. So that's Aboveboard TV, YouTube channel. in one where I went to New York, where another unauthorized trip and spent a bunch of money. Is that true? Yeah, yeah. When you have to promote something
Starting point is 00:34:29 before you do that in your head, are you in, like, utter panic? Oh, yeah. No, I also had something I was going to get, for everybody that's in the UAPs, I also talk about how wrong all of you are. In that?
Starting point is 00:34:44 No. I'm trying to drive track. Oh, I'm going to go up here. Well, I don't think any of those, I don't think the majority of those. They don't watch this. I don't think so. I think that what I've noticed is there's some people who check from that have found us through that show who click on like the reviews and stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:00 It's a completely different audience. And I think that's also why we started the the Daily News show. How's it doing? Daily News is doing pretty well. It's like we just got it to around 13.5,000 subscribers. And we pull it anywhere between like, you know, two to five thousand views per. That's awesome. It's growing.
Starting point is 00:35:17 And so we're going to start watching. You should. I mean, it's a good way to be filled in for all this stuff. Yeah, exactly, exactly. I love this. Yeah, it's been good. We just had on the show this past week, there's another guy who does Daily News. He does Monday through Sunday, which I just do Monday through Friday.
Starting point is 00:35:32 I'm going to tell my dad, too. Yeah, he does a show called Bedded, and he kind of reminds me, he's like the Jeremy Johns of the the UAP community. Is Jeremy still doing his reviews? Yeah, he's doing really well. That's awesome. Yeah, Jeremy's doing really well. He's been popped up in my algorithm.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Oh, okay. Yeah, no, he's one of the few guys that I watch on, on, on. on YouTube in general in this space. It's like it's always liked him a lot. Yeah, we've always been similar in our taste, but I also like his presentation on it and he's and no like we always used to talk about how majority of the time he and I were always on the same page. But I'll go and I'll watch this stuff, especially when there's a movie that I like,
Starting point is 00:36:09 like Dune, I went and watched this stuff on that. Cool. But no, Jeremy's kicking ass. He's still doing, he's doing really well. I realized the other day that I don't, not, believe in UIPs, I just don't have time to think about it. Like I don't, because I know that I would totally... Rabbit hole.
Starting point is 00:36:29 Rabbit hole. Yeah, it's, I've already got enough with the twerking videos. So let me ask you about that. Let's go back to your Instagram. Yeah. How much, how much filth is in there right now? Honestly, I only follow, well, yeah, I mean, let's do it.
Starting point is 00:36:45 I mean, I'm just going to look at him. I only follow two, two ways. That's just your text messages. Let me see the filth. What's going on? Roxy. Tell me what kind of filth? I follow two women that have lovely cabooses, but they're exercise videos for the most part.
Starting point is 00:37:03 One of them only speaks Spanish, but she does a really good job. So, I mean, as far as filthy go. We got Pam. Pam, I understand. We got Miley Cyrus. We got some workout girlies. Maybe like a wrestling thing. Oh, that's probably because I was looking up, uh,
Starting point is 00:37:21 Sina stuff. Um, some chucky stuff. Chucky. Some girls with two toes on their one toe. That's this. I'm really surprised at some of this stuff. Somebody, somebody else,
Starting point is 00:37:34 because I, there should be. Oh, there's Steve Ioki who collects, I got into, following him because he was collecting, um, different cards.
Starting point is 00:37:43 I'll tell you. So, my, what's like Christmas for me? When I'm, when I'm in the bathroom, and I open up my Instagram and I look at the messages
Starting point is 00:37:51 and I know there's a video that Brett just sent me because it's usually always fucking hilarious. A lot of like quirky, kooky stuff and then girls. Yeah, yeah. But not horrible. Honestly, I'm telling you if you were my man
Starting point is 00:38:03 and that was your Instagram, I would be okay with you. I don't follow any porn stars or anything. I follow them because I want to learn about work. That's your discovery page. It's not how you follow. It's about your discovery page so I know like what kind of stuff
Starting point is 00:38:12 you're clicking on. What I'm clicking on? The actual... Well, you have to be an idiot to follow a bunch of people. that you, you know, like, you probably, like, on the low look at it. Oh, yeah, this isn't bad at all. White shot just went out.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Oh, hey. Oh, my God, Christian. This is so you. Roxy, you looked at mine. Yeah, I looked at yours. It's like wrestling, fighting, all bro stuff. Like, there was not one woman on your Discover page. That is, that's the dream.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Like, if somebody pulls out, if you're on a first date and somebody was like, oh, go ahead, look at this. I'd be like, okay, like, that can't be really as, like, a burner phone or something. What's hilarious is that I didn't even know if that's how that works. So, yeah, no. That's good. Brett's is not as good, but still totally acceptable. Totally acceptable.
Starting point is 00:38:55 I think it's really weird. And it's not like I'm taking a lot of people's phones and looking at stuff. But I think it's really weird when on your Discover page is just all hot women. Like, get a life. Well, wait. Do you have any hobbies or do something? If you're single? No.
Starting point is 00:39:09 If you're married. Yes. Yeah, of course. Yeah. But also, I mean, like, do you want to be just looking at home? And also, yes, if you're single, honestly, if half of it's that, but like, it's the, only thing you're looking at? Yeah, but is that, but is that, but I don't know, is that accurate?
Starting point is 00:39:23 Is that the only thing you're looking at? Why do I have so many things with toenails? I don't know. You do have a lot of toenails. So my stuff, like, my stuff's mostly like hair stuff, makeup, um, acting stuff. Like, there's no, I'm single and there's, I haven't even found a hot guy on here. It's just not how I use Instagram. I don't like look up hot people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:45 That's a, because even if you're single, it's a weird way to use the app. I follow this bubbly blonde that cleans like McDonald's bathrooms and stuff like that. She's cute, but like she'll clean graves. Oh, I saw the grave one. Yeah, the clean girl. Okay. I've seen some people that the hoarder cleans. They go in and there's like all the cockroach.
Starting point is 00:40:05 Okay. So I wasn't lying to you guys. This is the type of show we're dealing with today. Just talking about whatever we want to. I find it refreshing. And a lot of times in the comment, you do too. So good for you. Good for me.
Starting point is 00:40:20 What do we tell you that this, the... Showgun. Showgun. I didn't even talk about it. Well, that's the title of the show. And I made Christian watch the entire show. So I might actually piss people off up until now, but we're going to get to Shogun. But before we do that, I do want to tell you about the good people over at both fume and factor.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Here it is. Let's talk about some habits. Because you guys know you got some habits. And there's nothing better than beating a bad habit with a good habit. And we've talked about fume before. You guys, you guys know, we've talked about fume. We've, we've had fume on and we're glad that they are back. It's great.
Starting point is 00:40:58 And Mark Riley is the one who's really been talking this thing up. And I can't wait for him to talk about it even more so on the show when he's on for UAP. And he just talking about how flavorful it was better than he thought. It feels very fresh. And it's like refreshing herbal tea, but if it was vapor. It was, you can look at like sticky soda. It's got non. It's, it's really good.
Starting point is 00:41:23 It's well-weighted. It's perfectly balanced. It's extremely fun to fidget with. And it really, look at the wood itself. It's great. Starting point is 00:42:00 The fume is completely, completely natural, by the way, instead of electronics. And there's no, this is the reason why I decided people are, whoa, why would you, why would you get involved with someone like this? Why? Because they don't use harmful chemicals. They use delicious flavors. And that's why I got involved. Fume works. They're great.

Starting point is 00:44:48 Let's talk about Shogun first. Okay. That's what I want to ask the question. Is Shogun the best show on television right now? Yeah. Christian. I can't wait for you. I'm not born to wait for you.
Starting point is 00:45:03 My seek Shogun. I've had a dollar for everything. I heard that. By far and away, the answer is just yes. I mean, and anybody who is a TV junkie? who is watching television right now knows that the answer is yes there's no question in my mind.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Prior to this, Masters of the Air was the best show on in 2024. It's still really good. And then there was other shows that I really loved. Like I talked about Love on the Spectrum that I really love. Shogun's going to win all the Emmys? Shogun's going to win all of the Emmys.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Because here's the truth about Shogun. This is now going to be Game of Thrones moving forward. So you either get on board or you are left behind. I'm already getting left behind. And you don't want that with this because this is not a binge show. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:44 This takes your full attention. Obviously, I've told you guys it takes place in Japan in the 1600s with the Portuguese, the British, and the Japanese. And the British and the English are in English. But the Japanese is in Japanese, so it's subtitles half the time. Good. So, and they're hour-long episodes. But. So you don't want to binge this because you can't do anything else while you're doing.
Starting point is 00:46:09 You can't be distracted. You can't be cooking. You gotta be locked in. Yeah. The tough thing for me, though, was they're saying they're speaking Portuguese to each other, but they're speaking English. It took me a while to kind of figure that part. So the reason for that is because there's only one British character. So I think they were trying to make it more accessible for an American audience.
Starting point is 00:46:29 So they made the Portuguese English, which they said to us pretty early on. You can kind of pick it up pretty quickly. But I like when they do something like that, right? So like they did that. And I always bring up Avatar. Like the, he talks about an Avatar too. Oh,
Starting point is 00:46:44 he says, well, no, he says in the beginning, he's like, I've just been listening to Navi for so long. It just sounds like English to me.
Starting point is 00:46:51 And they do like this kind of transfer over it. And it's like, oh, well, that's how they're explaining it. If they explain it, it's like, they kind of do.
Starting point is 00:46:56 They kind of don't. But whatever. Pick up on it really quick. Fine. But remember that show. No, Napoleon is what you were pissed about. Napoleon,
Starting point is 00:47:02 I was less about, because it wasn't that they were just, some of them should have been speaking in French and everything. but they all had Boston accents. They all had English accents except Napoleon. What was the one you were pissed about? What show? The show that was the one that I mentioned to you,
Starting point is 00:47:17 all the lights and the tower with the thing What was the one, the Netflix show that just came out about the, it was World War II? Oh, all the light we have not seen or we cannot show. I bailed on it. I heard it. I heard nothing but great things about it, but I bailed on it. It's on Disney, I thought, no? Is it? I don't know. Maybe Hulu. No, Netflix. It's Netflix.
Starting point is 00:47:37 And the second, that there's two German soldiers in Germany sitting in this room talking English to each why? You're trying to make everyone speak German. Why are you talking English? You're right, it is on Netflix. All the light we cannot see.
Starting point is 00:47:53 Yeah, I hear you. With this, nothing about this show bothers me. Like, quite literally nothing about this. The characters are unbelievable. My favorite is this Japanese woman who is the Portuguese translator, so Brett, you know who I'm talking about. I think she is going to be the next, like, massive A-list celebrity star. And same thing with what I believe is going to be her long-term love interest, the British pirate. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:17 I think the two of them are going to be like breakout, breakout stars of the show. Is that who opens up? That's the only scene I've seen. Okay, is that guy. That guy. He's got his crew with him. So just be prepared. The rest of the crew, you don't need to remember.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Yeah, I know. Well, because I saw the opening scene. Yeah. It's, I mean, this show is brutal. It's ruthless. it is kind of Game of Thrones it is ensemble oriented but why I really like it
Starting point is 00:48:42 is that it's not overwhelming ensemble ensemble like they are leading us in with these groups in a way that you understand and they introduce us on what is very clearly episode three, episode four like this pilot was not a pilot episode. They were like
Starting point is 00:48:57 eh fuck you guys you'll catch up we're just going to throw you in the deep end we know you'll figure it out you're smart enough and you do and I think that the relationships are so complicated because the guy that you met, the initial guy, that you probably thinks this big, bad, evil guy, not the British guy, but the guy who, you didn't get that part.
Starting point is 00:49:13 I literally got to five minutes. In the first episode, this is spoilers for the first episode, only for the first episode, it won't really matter, but there's this man that you think is like the big, bad evil. He ends up boiling somebody alive. Oh, yeah. He's nothing. He's nothing in the series.
Starting point is 00:49:27 Like, he's not the big bad. He's the little finger. He's the, he has, he's taking advantage of what little power he actually does have. And I love that this show continues to show like, you think somebody's the villain, and then you see who's really the villain. And it is so, so well thought out. FX doesn't make bad shows. I've never disliked a show on FX, and this is an FX show on Hulu. I love the Americans.
Starting point is 00:49:50 I love Sons of Anarchy, obviously. Shield. I love the FXX shows as well, like always sunny. But this is their best show yet. Yeah, ever. Probably. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:02 And I think that this is even going to surpass the bear on Hulu. Like this is, and I love the bear. That's coming out this year too. But the bear is, the bear is, the market is a comedy. Yeah. And this is an epic drama. Brett, so this is something that we never say. You've seen this and I haven't.
Starting point is 00:50:22 So you loving this show? Yeah, yeah. I mean, I, it's one of those things that is kind of a slow burn, but not enough that it took me out of it because I hate a real slow burn. But like Roxy said, there's a lot of like, Oh, shit. This guy? Oh, no. Oh, no. Forget about that. Blah, blah, blah. You know, so I, and I like the fact that they don't do full subtitle because I'm, I actually starting to get a little tired from reading. But, yeah, it's super, super, super interesting.
Starting point is 00:50:50 And it's not as complex, like you said, like Game of Thrones. Because I checked out of Game of Thrones because it was to me, house this, house this, and I was like gone. This one, there are a lot of different houses. But you're invested in this. Are you going to watch? You're going to keep watching? Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:06 I will recommend to people, I'm really glad that they dropped this two episodes at once because the first episode, I heard the showgun, showgun, and I watched the first episode, and I was like, that was good, but I'm interested why people are raving about this. And then I immediately watched the second episode. I was like, oh, it's the one-two punch of the first two episode. So you've got to get through the second episode to, I think, make up your mind on whether this show is for you or not. But why do you think that it is absolutely hands down?
Starting point is 00:51:34 because obviously you just gave a lot of great reasons, but why is it the absolute best show on TV right now? It's all of the elements. It's like the set pieces visually, it is just unbelievably stunning. And they do describe in this episode, like the faster our houses go up, the faster they come down.
Starting point is 00:51:49 So we do get to see a lot of 1600s Japanese design, which is very rare to watch on television. And it looks unbelievable. That's one of the things that stood out to me when Steph was talking about it. Obviously, Steph, who's Japanese, said that it just seemed, a lot of the stuff that they actually took from history
Starting point is 00:52:05 and a lot of the things that it seemed like there was a lot of research that was done for this show. Clearly, and this is a story I don't know about. I don't know Jack's shit about the Portuguese and what they have done and what wars they have caused and oh, the part that I haven't spoken about, which is the part that speaks to me the most of all the things, is that
Starting point is 00:52:21 this is really at its backbone inside of this unbelievable show at its heart there's this religious element where they're debating like there's this one line early on. is about the Protestants and the Catholics fighting, the Portuguese and the British, and which religion should prevail here.
Starting point is 00:52:41 And the Japanese people being like, what, you guys are all Christian to us. We don't care about any of that. But at some point, somebody asks, like, wait, so you guys are fighting for the same God. You're fighting against each other for the same God. And it is true, you know, like these wars that have been fought, every life that has been lost over the minute differences between the Christianity. It's just, like Steph said, they pulled a lot from history, but it's history that I don't think has been really touched on too much on television, especially with the Portuguese angle, where I'm like, I had no idea what big players the Portuguese were in the 1600s. I had no idea. What about music? How's music?
Starting point is 00:53:19 Really subtle and beautiful. I was going to say, I couldn't really, nothing stuck out. Yeah, it's very subtle and beautiful. It doesn't take you out of anything, but I do, I'm curious to see what they end up doing. doing with it and it's really the characters. All right. So Christian, this is like a no brainer for you. I know. I mean, you're gonna eat up this show, especially the second episode after you're done with it.
Starting point is 00:53:43 You're gonna be like, oh, I'm watching three and four of me. Everybody gets so mad at me when I tell, like, out of friends that are like, you watch story, right? Yeah, you watch it. I'm like, I started watching it five times. And I watched the farthest I got was five minutes in, not because I wasn't interested. And it was just, it was preoccupied, I was tired.
Starting point is 00:54:00 And then I'm like, and then I'm like, And then I did, I'll say it on the air. I don't care. I did that stupid thing that I do sometimes. And the same thing I did with poor things. I'm like, I don't know. Maybe this is overrated. I watched the same thing, Christian.
Starting point is 00:54:10 I watched three minutes. And it was so unfair. I watched three minutes. And I said, that's the stupidest thing. I said, I'm course I'm going back to this. But I was just like, I don't know. Maybe I'm not going to get into this show. And I'm like, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:54:22 I was tired. I do that all the time, too, where I'm just like, what do people see in this? Because I'm like, Steph was like, are you watching? This is the first week. It came out. And I was like, I started with a minute. But honestly, with the sub-time, I just don't know. And she was like, sack up and watch.
Starting point is 00:54:36 Like, Severance, right? Severance was the one of the hallway scene. I'm like, I'm done. And then I watched it. It's one of my favorite shows, like, in the last, like, five years. So good. She was awesome. When is?
Starting point is 00:54:48 I know. But look, here's what we were going to do. We were going to do more TV. We got into that. That was fine. I wanted to get into it because Roxie's got to get out of here. Yeah, yeah. Watch show.
Starting point is 00:54:58 I mean, talk about it every week. It's it. We'll talk about Shogun. I will check it out soon. I promise. I got to because I don't want to get left behind. All right, Roxy, where can they find you? Everywhere at Roxy Stryor.
Starting point is 00:55:08 Also, if you haven't seen Always Lully yet, it did drop for free on To Be this weekend. So now I don't have to ask you for your money. Just go watch it for free. It actually really helps us the better it does in the first week, first couple of weeks. Sequel? Yeah. Or you've seen the movie. What?
Starting point is 00:55:26 Yes. Maybe her character might come back. More so, just it can be really helpful. And the better the movie does, obviously, the better everybody benefits from it, just career-wise in general. So if you haven't seen it yet, and you've been thinking, okay, $10 is just too much right now,
Starting point is 00:55:41 I totally get it. Money is tight. Now it's free on 2B. You can watch on your desktop, download the app, anything for free. Tubey. That's where you can find your stuff. Yeah, you can find me everywhere on Tubey.
Starting point is 00:55:53 No, I'm on Aboveboard TV. The sketch came out. I'm good at promoting. Um, you can catch me cash mail aside. Um, you know, there's all kinds of things. Brett, in all this time that you've been promoting above board TV, I don't know how to get to it. Is it a website?
Starting point is 00:56:11 It's the YouTube channel above board TV. So I go to YouTube.com and type in above board TV. Yes. And then you'll see. And then I'll be. And then I'll be.
