What a day. What a day. Welcome back. It is Wednesday. It is the big thing. And it is unique. Why? Because I got the world girls in the house.

That's right. Steph and Roxy giving fist bumps that no one can see off camera. And I'm excited about it because it was so weird. It was like, yeah, we were supposed to do a show. Roxy and Brett, obviously. And then things had to get moved. And Roxy was nice enough to move her schedule around. And she's like, I can be here at 915.

I was like, well, that's normally when Steph comes in. And Mike couldn't come in today. So maybe I can make it happen. And it did. I got both Steph and Roxy today. So it's going to be a fun show. We're talking about a lot of different things, man. There was a rumor that the Ray movie was going to get canceled because Stephen Knight wasn't getting along with Lucasfilm.

And, you know, it's been since debunked. But cool, thank you. But you never know exactly what could be true and what cannot be true because it just happened so many times that, you know, sometimes when there's smoke, there's fire. Sometimes it's people just looking for. a headline so we'll discuss and see exactly what it is. Roxy got annoyed with me the other day because she told me she's like you got to be

excited you have an Emmy winner in your for Schmodeown and I legit I wasn't even playing around I said oh the Emmys tonight and she called me lame or something but I will say that the Emmys from what I heard and we'll talk to Roxy about it was the best

one of the best Emmys ever in a long time entertaining and also the lowest rated in like history So what the hell's going on over there? Jeremy Allen White cleaning up. Other people cleaning up. A lot of great things going on in the world of both movies and TV that we're going to talk about today. I'm excited about it because there's a few other things too.

They're talking about there's Dune is not shooting in the volume, which I think is pretty awesome. So the TV show that we'll talk about. There's a few other things TV-wise. Alex Winter was asked about Bill and Ted, number four. Is it going to happen? Should it happen? So there's, oh, and Shee Hulk, there's one report that says, ain't going to happen. It's done. Marvel ain't doing it.

And there's another report that says it might happen. So we'll think, because I know both Steph and Roxy liked it, but the question is, should it happen? They're all toast. But yeah, so it was, it was, I will start with the Emmys thing. Roxy, like, you, cut that out. Were you, um, legit, like, like, annoyed with me when you, when you, I thought it was the most annoying response.

I just looked it up to see exactly what I said. So I said, congratulations on having an Emmy winner as part of your league. That's incredible because Paul Walter Hauser won an Emmy. And Christian wrote back, are the Emmys on tonight? And I responded, you are so lame. Fair. Because it was, I mean, we were two hours into the Emmys at that point. I had no clue.

Are you being honest to me? I swear to God, I was at my computer when you wrote it. And I said, oh, are the on, because you know why, though? because the critics' choice were the night before. And because it's January on a Monday while the yammy's on. Because of the strike, obviously. But after when you said it, I looked it up. And I'm like, oh, they're on right now.

And when you said that, I immediately knew you were talking about Paul Walter Hauser. And I was like, good, he won for Miss one for Blackburn. Yeah. And I said, oh. Did you see his speech? No. Oh, my God. I don't watch anything.

Christian, he wrapped an entire speech. Which is probably. That's where everybody is talking about. He's the best. He wrapped. Was it? It was, I thought it was so endearing. Half the people were saying it was cringe

and half of people were saying it was amazing. I'm in the amazing camp because he wrote it on his phone and he's so cute. He's shaking while he's really, you know, it's nerve-wrecking. You're doing something different. You just won an Emmy. And he's wrestling soon.

Did you know that? He's actually wrestling reference in his. Yeah, he's a big wrestling guy, but he's actually wrestling soon. He's going to wrestle. I forget which promotion it is, but he's going to be wrestling somebody. Oh, he's the man.

He's just the man. And so I thought it was great. And yeah, I thought it was great. And yeah, I thought it was good. And he, like, gave credit to everybody he needed to give credit to. You know, there's some people who don't think that they're going to win so they have nothing prepared. I don't think that he thought he was going to win. But just in case.

Yeah, and he was ready and I thought it killed it. I was stoked for him. I will say, because, you know, I'm not a big awards guy as far as I think that they should happen. You're so lame. Yeah. Well, I'm not the only one because the Emmys as good as it was. It ate a big pile of shit as far as ratings. I have thoughts on why that happened.

I have questions on that. Yeah. Let's all declare what we have, and now we know where we stand. It's good to know that, so that we're going to forget it. Circle back to me. Yeah, we will. But what I was saying, as far as the awards go, what I will say is that even though I'm not a big awards guy, and I do think that they should happen, I think that people should be recognized for their work. I thought that, and being at the Critics Choice Awards, I think, helped.

But I also thought that was a pretty good show. I thought Chelsea Hanler did a great job hosting, moved it, made it flow. And I think, I know who hosted the Emmys? Anthony Anderson. How did he do? Was he great? I thought he did a great job. Okay.

I thought he did a great job. I went on air and said, what a great job he did. Everybody in my comments was like, do you know that he has three cases of sexual assault? And I was like, I actually didn't know. And I have no idea anymore. We're talking about the performance. Yeah, yeah. I can't keep track of anything.

I'm just, when you asked me, I was like, oh, what do I do this time? Do I rave about him? I thought he did an amazing job. I don't know what to say. That's what I asked you. Right. Yeah, I haven't looked into it. I thought he was a good job.

And so, and that's what I'm saying. So the hosting was good. The flow of the show was good for both of those. So I'm hoping that this is what continues on because at the Oscars, I swear to God, it tries me nuts. And now we're going to bring out an 87-year-old person who works behind the scenes or makes everything happen to give a speech that no one gives two fucks about it. Here you go, Erald. And I thought that she did such a great job and also thanked herself in her speech in the most, like, classy perfectly. It was so classy. Yeah, she was awesome. Because it's true. She put in the work.

They've always done that for the not biggest award. They do do it before. Okay. I'm not exactly sure how they do it. And the Emmys are alive at five o'clock.

The reason I thought you were asking is because a lot of people in the West Coast don't watch until 8 o'clock like they do on the East Coast, and then they see the rerun of it. Got it. And why do you think it took a big dump? Because it was on Monday? No. I think it took a big dump for a couple of reasons. reasons in terms of ratings.

Because the show was actually bombed, although I had two major qualms with the show. The first one is I, the big, I have every, yes, that is a big issue. And let's talk about that for a second. Bring that back. Stand on target. We'll circle back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I was saying that this year. But okay, the way to watch them was absurd. I have, thanks to Steph's parents, every single streaming service possible. I have every single one. Right. I couldn't watch this. So it wasn't on CBS? No.

It was on Fox this year for the first time. And they were airing on Hulu the next day. Right. So it was on Tuesday. So how in the world would I have known that it was on? Because you would have had to watch it on Fox. You would have to have not been a court cut. Or on Twitter, basically, as little clips.

Right. Or YouTube TV. You're already making a great point. So this was me, right. I called my brother. My brother was vomiting. He was so. so sick and I call him bawling.

Because the Emmys were on streaming? I'm trying to watch it and he has an Xfinity account that I use. But it wouldn't, I couldn't even do that without connecting to his home Wi-Fi. I called him, I was like I can't find the Emmys, Jet. I can't find the Emmys. I'm trying to cover it. I'm trying to do a show tonight. Meanwhile, he's literally

like, Roxy, I don't know what to tell you. You're not connecting my home Wi-Fi. Like, send me your illegal links. I don't care. Nothing's working. It's completely down. I can't find it anywhere. Here's how I watch the Emmys, I'm not fucking with you guys. This is what I did. You sat outside. Live wire.

You had an absolute major reason. And I think you're 100% accurate. Ridiculous. Like the director of always Lola, Jeffrey Crane Graham, who you know, Christian, because he's a fan of your work. And Steph, obviously, you know from working with him. He's not a funny. He is a diehard TV fan like me. And we were messaging during it.

And he was like, I'm going to watch tomorrow because I can't find it tonight. Like everybody was saying to me, how are you watching it? I was like, because I'm doing something crazy right now. It was ridiculous. You, though. Thank you so much. Hey, you figured it out. That's total Boston.

I love it. But, yeah, that's exactly why it didn't do very well. I wonder how it did, though, on the replay the next day. I'm not sure how you even measure that because I don't think we got more transparency from Hulu. Who knows? But either way. That's so stupid. They're very stupid.

They've been doing a lot of, even with the NFL games, the playoffs now, if you don't have Peacock or whatever, it's like behind a paywall. So it's like the playoffs. And it did go ahead to head to head. head with NFL, which I thought was really stupid. Also stupid. Yeah. Yes. Okay. Well, then we just figured out why I did so bad. Yeah.

Okay, we broke the code. It's Taylor Swift's fault. Maybe. Wow. Let the heat come to you for that one. I like Taylor Swift. I feel like I paid more attention to football because she was at the games. And a lot of people that I know did. Yeah, this is so ridiculous. It's so silly. It's one of these things.

I like what you said about it. I don't remember. Oh, I feel like you did something with Roca about it. I did. But I don't remember. After Joe Coy's joke. Well, not that, I think. It's just like she's not doing anything wrong. Like, that's the NFL for putting her on the TV.

It's, well, it's just, yeah, she's just going to the game. She's just supporting. But you know what it reminds me of? Jessica Simpson. When Jessica Simpson went to Tony Romo's games, she got the same kind of heat. It wasn't the same type of level. She was pretty massive back then when she was on, but she used to get the same kind of shit. It's like, because the cameras want to get the ratings, the cameras want to do this.

She's the biggest pop star in the world, and she's not doing interviews out there. It's like people are just, it's like anything, whether it's Avatar or Taylor Swift. Did I miss this? Are people upset with her? Yes. NFL fans are. I'm going to see this at all. She's getting dragged on, especially on like Twitter, like, I swear to God, what's worse

than Taylor Swift at the football game. So that's why she was so annoyed with the comment. She's just over it. She's over it. Oh, I was like, that was a weird response when somebody made one joke about this. She's over. Yeah, she's just over it. She, I mean, well, and that's the thing that she didn't do Jokoi any favors by giving that face.

If she would have, like, smiled, this is her prerogative to not. But if she would have laughed. Smile more woman. Right. No, but the Swifties came in swiftly. Yeah. If she was laughing with it, they wouldn't have gone after him for that. No.

Did you see, did you see Chelsea Handler's joke on him, though? I've never watched a critic's choice award. Oh, wow. You would have liked it. I've never watched it. How do you watch that? That was on CW, CW. But I don't know if they're friends, I assume, but.

They used to go on tour together. Okay. But she gave. Taylor and Chelsea? No, Joe Coy and Chelsea. That's crazy. Chelsea gave like a subtle shot to Joe. And she said, along she's like,

Chelsea and Joe dated forever. Oh, is that what it was? Oh, that's what it was? There you go. Well, she gave a shot. That's how I know who Joe Coy is. She gave him a subtle shot. And she was like, it got a big laugh in the crowd.

she was she essentially said um the she was some joke that she that she did and everybody laughed she's like oh I'm glad you like that one my writers wrote it oh I thought that was so lame of him holy crap that was the lame as part of everything else was fine but like just stop throwing them under the class

they would not strike this year leave him alone right but the other thing though that Rokka and I did talk about on that shows Joe Koi's gonna be just fine he's already on tour of course people are roasting him for for that his fans are not going to abandon him for that. His fans actually have come out in the same, maybe not in the same way that Taylor Swift's fans have,

but his fans, I saw it on our thing, where if they would have watched the whole video, they would have realized we talked about, like, look, there were some things that you can joke about whatever you want. We've talked about this many times on Collider and other things. You can joke about whatever you want. You just got to make it funny. Some people thought it was funny,

and he took a shot in that Hollywood couldn't take a joke, and others thought that he just wasn't good, and other people thought it was totally inappropriate. I landed in the fact that I just don't think he was... A host. Yeah, and he don't think he was that prepared for the gig. We had three weeks. Yeah, but he just, it wasn't, it wasn't, it wasn't his, he definitely didn't.

It wasn't his fault. Barbie was about boobies. Yeah, yeah. I know, whatever. Yeah, I'm with you on that. This is unrelated, but related because I've been on such a stand-up binge recently. Did you guys watch Pete Davis in Special drop? You watched it?

Here's the movie about the Ray movie. Now, as we know, the Mandalorian N. Grogu is coming out first. Are you not excited about that? I am, but the title. The working title. That's the actual title. That's what they say.

That's not untrue. That was our point. I love you. That was our point, though. Our point was actually that because the casual audience, the casual Star Wars fan is going to hear that and go, oh, a movie about Grogu and Mandelior. So that's why they did that.

But it's a terrible title. Mandalorian and Grogu. Hi, I'm the problem. It's me. I think that's great. It sounds like the adventures of Mandalorian. That's iconic. That's so stupid. You have the heart of a child.

Please. Here's the news. The Star Wars franchise is Dark Horizons, by the way. The Star Wars franchise is not short on rumors, but one that emerged recently has been shut down by sources at Lucasfilm itself. That rumor emerged just the other day and suggested that in the wake of the announcement of John Favreau's The Mandalorian and Grogu. Filmmaker Charmine Obeyed Chinoi's untitled new Jedi Order film had been delayed indefinitely.

The apparent reason for the delay? Creative differences. With the film's writer Stephen Knight, the Peeky Blinder's creator is pending the film, which will see Daisy Ridley reprise her role of Ray from the sequel trilogy. I.09 spoke with the source at Lucasfilm, who nixed the rumor in the bud, saying the rumor is false, Knight continues to write and be part of the process.

In fact, they add that the company is waiting on his latest draft right now. Last week's announcement of the Mandalorian movie shot down the long-held assumption that the new Jedi Order film would be the next one to hit the big screen. That announcement, combined with darker corners of the fandom angry over the project for various reasons, is likely what led to the speculation. Prior to the actor's strike, it was expected that the New Jedi Order was going to shoot from this April, ahead of May 2020-26 release, but the strikes impacted those timetable.

It's not clear when the film will be shot, though it seems likely it will aim to get underway this year. Now, there's a follow-up to that on Comic Book movie. This is Comic Book's take on it, Mark Cassidy. rumors have been doing the rounds of Lucasfilm's upcoming Ray-focused Star Wars movie might have been delayed indefinitely updates say that the project's moving forward. Several sites have reached out

to Lucasfilm who has confirmed that the untitled film is very much on track. Stephen Knight's still on board. Of course the studio could be downplaying these reports of behind the scenes turmoil, but it seems as a chance of the release date has been set. Jeff Snyder responded to a tweet about the potential delay.

Someone asked Jeff if it was confirmed about the delay and he said my comment is trust me when it comes to star wars and jeff can say that right now he's proven to be very very reliable when it comes to star wars rumors and he's been uh he was the one who who announced that the movie was coming between mandorian and grugu and that's about it see you in december twenty twenty six is what snider says and so there seems to hint that that's when that movie's coming out that's what we thought now jeff doesn't specify which project he's talking about but during last night's episode of the hot mic he hinted that he was indeed referring to the news

Jedi Order film. Last year, Kathleen Kennedy revealed that work on this movie is further along than we realized. She said, we've been working on that film for a few years, and all of that feeds into our overall storytelling. We've got a point now. We've got wonderful writer and Stephen Knight, and we're probably going to see a script in the next month and a half that we've been working on for quite a while, so we're getting close. And it's worth noting this is prior to the strikes. We do know that the Ray film won't be the next big screen Star Wars release, as we recently got confirmation that the Mandalorian and Grogu will officially enter production this year.

Ooh. Let's talk about this. Steph, let's start with you. Do you, let's start with, do you think that there's any merit to these rumors whatsoever? Because we've been down this road before. Lucasfilm has butted heads with screenwriters and directors and writers and actors before. So what do you think? I think, of course, that these rumors could be true.

I think that they seem like they're shutting it down. So they're probably working on it, but there could definitely be some delays. There's been delays. We know we're getting one. We're getting one. They're not the first one. out. Right. So it's going to be something's getting delayed. Yeah,

I think there's definitely merit to the rumors, but I think it's enlightening that they're doing a quick job of swiftly putting them out, which means that they're pretty confident in the project. Which hopefully they are. It seems like a good project to go forward with. What's the issue? You guys

know, I know no idea what's going on. The issue with which the writer or the director? I guess both. Like, the delays are coming from what? Are you guys concerned? Or what's the I don't necessarily know. I think that they are going to hit this December 2026. I don't think it's delayed indefinitely.

So I don't believe those rumors. I think the movie's going to happen. I think that they know they need to make this happen. Plus, they're paying Daisy Ridley a lot of money to do this movie. And they want her to come back. And it is smart that this is the second movie out of the gate and not the first. First would have been a big mistake. And I think they realized that.

And especially after the comments. What's the first? First movie, I'm not doing it again. But it is coming out. A Mandalorian and the little guy are coming out first, which is smart. It's Favreau. If they can get the fan base on board in the way that they got the first season, The Mandalorian on board with Star Wars, it's a good idea.

People thought it was going to be the first one in May of 2026, but we now know it's Favreau's movie that's coming out in May of 2026. So this one's coming out in December. So we think it could also be Folonies movie that comes out,

and then this movie gets pushed to 27. That would then be a delay, because I think most people think this one will, hit in December of 2026. At least I do. Right. And I wouldn't even put it past them to cancel any of the projects that they're working on right now. Other than Falonis or Favros has a good chance just because of the show.

But they've canceled six of the movies that they've announced. So I think that's where I'm, when I hear delay, I think, oh, is this movie not going to happen? Yeah. Yeah. Which I don't. This movie will happen. Yeah. They've announced six movies that have been canceled.

That movie's, that episode nine was significantly different than what JJ did. So there's been tons of problems and tons of directors and writers and people like, or what's even this movie that we're talking about right now?

Linda Law was on it. Linda Law's movie was significantly different. than what they're gonna do here. His movie apparently took place like with an older ray. And then there was gonna be, there were a lot of different things. I don't know, I think he left the project

because he didn't have a, he didn't choose his director yet. He was supposed to be taking care of everything. And then I don't think he even, he wasn't working with, Chinoi. So is it accurate that their TV shows are much more consistent than their movies in? I mean, announced made, announced made.

Well, as far as if they announce a show, it happens more so than like when they announce a movie. Yeah, yeah, for sure. And there's, yeah, they announced, I'm trying to think, which the only show right now that they announced that it comes off the top of my head. Well, no, the, the Rangers of the New Republic didn't happen. Right. The. That one makes sense in the.

With everything to happen with Gina. Yeah, right. That's a normal studio announcement and then, oh, something happened. The rest is like, okay, what's going on? What's going on? Lando has, we still, it's kind of rumor that he's doing it. They were centering a show on Gina. At the time, yeah, it was a Rangers.

That's so strange. I know. I always thought that was true. Nobody loved your performance either. Oh, that's not true. Really? No, that's not true. I actually thought that was, yeah.

I actually, I actually thought it was her best performance out of the things that she did. And I think that I think that I think Caradune was actually really, really liked. Like that's just when we're talking DC, I can tell you the projects that have been announced and canceled, which is so many as well. Right.

But I don't pay attention at all to Star Wars News, but when something comes out, I watch it. Right, right, right. It's kind of much more enjoyable way. You still haven't finished Oshoka yet, right? No. It's the one show that live action show that they've done that I have not watched. It's funny because I get that way sometimes too.

Like, I don't know where you guys have thought, did you watch Echo? Yeah. Yeah, so you felt the same way I did. Oh, you didn't love it either? We're like the only ones. No, we're not the only ones. Oh, my God.

So we're on different sectors. Everybody I've talked to who loved the show. Who's everybody? The team at Real Rejects, DJ, the only people I talk to about TV shows. Well, you're talking about inside of our circle. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because it's not if, it's very much so.

The way that I look at it, not that people dislike it. My brother. I think it's people, as you, as a kid say, mid, right? Christian! I'm speaking to you. You've been listening to me. Yeah, it's mid. The show's super mid.

It's fine. It's what I said about. It's fine. I haven't watched four and five, though, and I said I understand why they put this show out in one drop because I got the three episodes early. I don't know if you did. Yeah, I did. And I watched all three and I was like, oh, I want to see where it goes. I'm not like, oh, my God, I got to see the next one.

I said, but I want to see where it goes. And then I didn't have four and five. And they're like, oh, it's on now. I'm like, I'll get to it when I get to it. And I feel like that's how everybody would have been if you would have dropped it week to week. People would be like, eh, you know. Right. It's fine.

Did you watch this and do you care about Echo at all? No, I didn't watch it. Yeah. So it was really unfortunate for this show. It's the first Marvel show I haven't watched. Did you watch Secret Invasion? Yeah. I said I bailed it. I liked it. The whole thing. Yeah. Oh, see, now I will say she's one of the people I've heard say that. Yeah. Yeah. I liked it. I definitely see the problems, but I had a lot of fun with it. Fair enough. At least they were ballsy and like there was that death and I don't want to split things other people. But yeah, I thought that Secret Invasion was fine. I thought Echo was also fine.

It was fine. It was very unfortunate for Echo that it came. after reservation dogs because I just finished binging reservation dogs they cast a lot of the same people in the show and one of the major themes of this show is about connecting with your ancestors and reservation dogs just does it 50,000

times better. From what they did from you look at all the reports and rumors for what Echo did Echo had a very different show that they were doing and then they kind of redesigned it a bit and of course and we have a deaf indigenous character that's different than anything we've ever seen and she was awesome it just the any, the only arc is internal.

There's no actual external arc and that's like, that's a tough sell for a show sometimes. Need to see those last two and I will, I will get to much. I don't think you do. I would just skip to the post credit scene of five. All right. Well, I gotta finish it, but I will, what I will say, you know what I'm watching right now, Rox? I don't know if you've seen it. There's been rumors that she's got like an apprentice. I just hope we don't need another empire. We don't need another resistance or resistance, the first order, whatever. He goes, all right, still waiting. Jedi Council? Doesn't even, even the thing, but I'm waiting. Not his fault. But I definitely would love to sit down with him and not even talk Star Wars just for like an hour. Right. The guy rules.

During last April Star Wars celebration in London, Lucasfilm confirmed Andor Season 2 was targeting an August 2024 release.

That was, of course, before the WGA and SAG After Strikes brought Hollywood to a standstill for most of the summer, though we'd expect the series to possibly still meet that release window. Tony Gilroy confirmed he'd finished writing Andor's scripts before the writer's strike started, but with the majority of cast members parts sag after, it was apparent cameras could only continue rolling for so long. Now, the impact of that is finally being felt and we don't expect the show to return until 2024. Does he mean 2025?

I think so. Talking at the Emmy, what was that? What was the article written? Well, it was written yesterday or something. So then, yes, he means 2035. Talking at the Emmys yesterday, Diego Luna was asked where things stand with a critically acclaimed Disney Plus series.

He says, I have seven days. So tomorrow I'm flying back to London and we're finishing this. The first season, we shot under very, very hard circumstances, the pandemic, and now the strikes this time, it's going to be worth it. As for whether he could return as Cassian after the show wraps up, Luna added, I don't think so. No, I'll be part of Star Wars because I'll always be part of the family, but no, the good thing about Andor is we know it has an ending. It's nice to work knowing there's an ending and you can aim for something and we're getting there. At this rate, Ander will be the only Star Wars TV show released in 2025. Now you got to write that time.

We're getting the Ackleit and Skeleton Crew in the months ahead, but the mandolour Season 4 is no longer a short thing for next year after the Mandalorian and Grugu movie was recently announced. Andor's big batch of episodes will chronicle the next steps in Cassian's journey as he fights to assemble fledgling resistance. Okay, so yeah, I think this is pretty much a guarantee that this thing comes out in 2025, and I think it's early 2025. I think it'll probably be anywhere between January to March. This is the fun. Only other season? Yeah.

And then it goes straight into the movie. Rogue one. Yeah, Rogue one is the finale. You've seen it. Yeah, for sure. No, I definitely have seen it because it's got that Darth Vader fight and it. It's the only thing I remember from it. But I didn't know that this was a prequel to Rogue One.

I love that. But that also shows... Maybe it'll make you like it a little more. But for people, and first of all, for anyone who's about to give Roxy shit on that. Yeah, sorry. I don't... I think it's a great point is that the casual audience who are just who don't, who just tune in, They like Star Wars.

I heard this Andor thing was good and said, yeah, it actually plays into Rogue One. Oh, I got to go watch that movie again. Now you'll want to watch it again. You guys telling me that at some point and not me forgetting it. Yeah, I just kind of watch them and then forget about them. But this is, I think, because I am a casual fan, you guys were obsessed with Andor. Obsessed with Andor. I thought was good.

This is real. I loved it. Yeah. I'm excited. Yeah. So season, well, so I'm so confused in general about because I seem to be the only one. out of the three of us that remembers us, maybe Steph does. But we went to Star Wars Celebration in, it was a 2022?

Yeah. Yeah. When I went to 22. And they brought Gilroy out there and Diego Luna. And Gilroy seemed to hint that I wanted to do season three. And then Luna, I only signed on for two seasons. He said that a lot? I thought so.

I don't remember it that way. Nobody remembers that. I was drinking heavily. At Star Wars celebration. Yeah, because that's what I do there. Yeah, right. And that's why you don't remember. remember anything. So it makes sense.

But like I was, so that's what I thought. I thought Gilroy was pretty pumped to do with third one. And then as people corrected me and said, no way, I don't think Faloni's a massive fan of it. And they go, hey, said something nice about it on stage once. Once. And he was talking about the rest of the projects.

But that's another story. Are you guys okay with it being just two scenes? Oh, yeah. Cool. I'm always okay with a show being what it's intended for. I don't like when there's a stretch. So I think that's what Diego was kind of hinting at. Sure.

He likes that this is telling the story he needs to tell. In this show. Oh, I knew that this was a Rogue One sequel, prequel, because I knew that he couldn't die. And I remember I was watching and I was like, well, the stakes aren't that high. And everybody. How many of the main characters have a chance that they're going to die, though, you know? And a lot of the main characters in most shows, you know.

Right. But the rest of the main characters are going to die. You would assume so. Like Biggs. A lot, I feel like a lot of shows kill off their main characters now. Really? After Game of Thrones, it was hot. Right, but it's an ensemble cast, really, that whole Game of Thrones.

So you can rely on other your cast members, Andor's called Andor. Yeah, but we've killed off really big characters in Star Wars before. What show that has the character's title name, which is a TV question for you? In Star Wars or? No, in general. What show, which has a character's name? Would you call the Sopranos? When you don't necessarily know if he does?

You were going to say that. I think he's dead, but I think that he died. So that would be one that I'll- Breaking that? Oh, it's not his name, I guess. Okay. Well, that's not his show. Of course, it's, but my question is,

but my question is what show with the lead character's name? If the Sopranos doesn't count, I'll come up with one. She-Hulk? She-Hulk didn't die? No. Unless you believe in the next report. Oh, so. All right, this one's from Dark Horizons,

and many have complained that the Marvel formula has become stale, and they need to try something different. However, that criticism can be a double-edged sword as seen with Shee Hulk, attorney at law. The show was very different with fourth wall breaking elements, skewing Marvel itself in the nastier sections of the fan base. It also gave the beloved Tatiana

Mislani a starring vehicle. While the critics really liked it, the audiences seemed deeply divided on it. There was also rumblings of behind-the-scenes problems and budgetary issues with the film's visual effects. Thus, according to Meslani this week, during the appearance on the Codenames Live, the new class Twitch screen,

the direct, the chances of a second season are unlikely. Asked about the possibility of a second season, she says, I don't think so. I think we blew our budget and Disney was like, no thanks. I was pretty honest. The comments seem to shut the door on Shee Hulk, but don't necessarily close off Mizlani from a turning as the character for a future appearance somewhere else. The talk comes as Marvel Studios is overhauling how it plans to produce TV moving forward and recently released Echo on Disney Plus.

Now here is the report from comic book. So this one is titled, She Hulk Attorney at least. law among the projects that are being re-evaluated by Disney and Marvel and season two could still happen. So Josh Wilding says while She-Hulk received a mostly positive response by critics when it debuted, the show suffered the same fate as many multiverse saga titles. It came, it went, it was forgotten due to a massive increase in MCU content, which has largely robbed these projects of their former event status. Yesterday, we shared comments from Tatiana Mislani about the chances of it getting a second season, and her take was, I don't think so, we blew our budget, the one we

just read. This is from I.09, shared an update. Nizlani's comments are basically accurate, just lacking some context. The context is when CEO Bob Eiger returned to Disney and changed much of Marvel's direction, everything was re-evaluated. So while Marvel works everything out, it's not that a second season of Shee-Hulk has been completely abandoned. It just seems less likely than not at the moment. They confirmed She-Holk's budget was an issue and shared a belief should a second season become a reality that the series will need to be made for a far more cost-effective budget. Lack of oversight on script development

caused a long list of problems, including the last-minute decision to shift She-Hulks' origin story from the eighth episode to the premiere. We've heard that She-Hulk's story will continue in World War Hulk. So let's start with it, because I know that you guys were both fans of the show, correct? Yeah.

It's my favorite of the Marvel shows. Is it? Okay. Roxy, let's start with you on the show. This was your favorite of the Marvel series. Yeah. And more so because it kind of fell into like Allie McBeal side of it all. It's my favorite of the Disney Plus shows that is a franchise show. My favorite is Mighty Ducks Game Changers.

But of the Marvel Star Wars shows, this was my favorite. I made for this show. It was aimed to you. It was aimed to me and they nailed it. I'm really bummed that Marvel doesn't see or that Bob doesn't see the value in that in grabbing me, the me's of the world. Because I do love Marvel and I watch everything Marvel. but this is this was a sitcom this was a show that was like a workplace comedy that had a lot of heart

and was able to incorporate people like daredevil into the world for in in such a meaningful way that made sense to this like being part of her love life it made perfect sense as opposed to some other times where I feel like they really shoehorn in the characters so I feel like this definitely could deserve a second season but if it's not doing well for them which we know it didn't, then that sucks, because what are you going to do? Just make the decision because you think that you should be doing a show for the me's of the world? No, it's got to be a financial decision.

Steph? Yeah, I don't think we deserve a season two. Like society? Yeah, society doesn't deserve it. And I think that we've been, we have this formulaic viewing of Marvel now, and so I think everyone's expecting this, and then when they get something else,

their brain just simply can't compute. in a way that's like ready for it. I think everyone went into Shealk being like this is going to be a classic Marvel show and it's so not. Dude, that's so accurate because the amount of times that people have said to me like, objectively Shehulk sucked.

And it's like, it didn't suck. You didn't like it. So you can say that you... Or it sucks for them. Right. Right. But like, objectively Shehulk sucked. It's like the... And this is why...

You can't say that about anything. Anything. And it's so crazy to me. because like I'm not saying anybody who didn't like this show is an insult. That would be crazy. And so many people I know didn't like an insult. Right. So many people I know didn't like the show.

Right. But they're not out here like the normals like you. I'm going to get my take in a second. You're not out here trying to convince me not to like the show because objectively it sucked. It's like you. It's like you. It wasn't for you. That's totally fine.

Because you didn't like it. You watched and you didn't like it. Not because it started a woman. Not because you thought that this was like a. weird situational comedy, whatever. You just didn't like it. Right. And but look,

those people that come after you in that way will come after me in the same way. That's aware, in that same way, but we'll also come after me. For example, they said in this article, they moved the origin story and all that stuff forward, right? My favorite two episodes were the first two episodes.

And they moved that to the front because it was a little bit more, it, to me, fit more of a traditional storytelling inside of this too. And I know we're going for something different. That's what you guys liked. And they did that in the first two also. They combined it with the Marvel stuff that I thought was creative.

And I was like, I really liked this show, the first two. And then it just lost me. And people, and people came up to me going, oh, you only say that because everyone else doesn't like it. I'm like, no, I'm actually hearing a lot of people who do like it. I just don't like it. I don't think that, because I want to say, you know, something that you said, Roxy, about how they went after you,

they target, the Marvel targeted you for this show, you and stuff, and you guys responded to it. So how come they wouldn't want to do that, right? I think as far as television goes, at least as far as movies go, because they were trying to do that for the Marvels, and they were trying to target the Barbie audience, and a lot of people that they were targeting

did not show up to that movie. And I think that to them, they have to look at this as a business as well, too, as you said beforehand, too, and if it's not doing well for you, regardless of you like it or not, I just don't think that the way that they try to structure it in there, I think it was a misstep,

because to me, I think you need to target everyone but doing it. Look, look at, you liked a lot of the phase one through three Marvel movies, right? They were targeting both sides of the audience in ways, and there were characters that you could root for, not in the same way. I think looking back, it was a huge mistake. I think that they're leaving money on the table in the long term. To not have a Wanda movie early on, to not have a Black Widow movie early on.

It's very clear. to me that Marvel and some people are going to disagree with me and that's totally fine, but it's clear to me that Marvel doesn't value their female audience as much as they value their male audience. Still? At first, they didn't. And still now, it was like, okay, what other movies can we add on? The fact that it took us that long to have a Black Widow movie.

And they're saying because women aren't showing up in the same way. But women aren't showing up in the same way because you were, I feel like an afterthought to Marvel. You set us up for failure, I think. Because think about what the Black Widow set up. That's so unfair that she's been... Took forever. Took forever, but not only that the story was shoehorned in after the fact.

So it's weird on the timeline. It's confusing for people. People are... And then now it's like all the Barbie audience is now the Barbie audience because why they were there from the get-go. Right. Now you're expecting the Barbie audience to come in 24 movies later. That's crazy.

You're not going to get those fans. No. And it was also... Right. They were just kind of throw... Whoa. See? The women didn't show up.

It's like, okay, because you didn't do any of the work. I don't know what their plan is now. If you don't, we're like, I'm really, we're in my group of friends, the only two Marvel fans. Yes. And it wasn't, and also the Marvels just wasn't a very good movie. So. And like think about, go over to Camp D.C. for a second with Wonder Woman. Straight out.

Like, people did show up to support Wonder Woman. They really did because she got her own standalone movie before Batman. got his own standalone movie, you know? That's, and this iconic character, and they made it, and they made it work. And they said,

we give a crap about it. And it's not like, but the thing with Wonder Woman, though, rocks, the difference is when you compare it something like Shehulk, right? Wonder Woman's still,

because it, the female audience definitely came out to support it, but it also got the comic book geeks in general. Yeah, everyone loved it. Women and men. As opposed to birds of prey,

which did not. Right. And I, and I, and so I don't know. I think, but I think right now, what Marvel's also trying to do

is after the Marvel's and everything to as they're getting close to Deadpool because Deadpool in the film itself and for Marvel is a reset. It's a full reset. And they're trying to do everything they can. They're trying to get the... Because for three years, for three phases,

for the most part, Marvel could not miss, right? They couldn't, and financially they couldn't miss. Maybe some critics, you know, Thor, Dark World, they could not miss. They're missing a lot right now. And so they're trying to get, because you can come back.

Everyone's over there dead. I hate when people say that. Star Wars can come back. DC can come back. That's crazy. Anything can come back. And you make good movies. You make good product.

Anything can come back. So I think they're trying to put any negative criticism, whatever it might be, certain shows. I also, and I think, like, Agatha is another one. I'm very, I love Catherine Hawn. Me too. I think it's such a weird choice. I agree. It's not like completely agree.

Yeah. It's not like completely agree. You don't want to just be like, well, any woman. Right. It was my least favorite part of the Wanda series. I thought the prosthetics on the witches were not for me. But here's the one thing I'll throw at you here, stuff. The only thing that, because I'm with you guys, I just don't understand.

I mean, it's Catherine Hawn, I get. Totally. It's Catherine Hawn. But Agatha, that's like, uh, however, you and I had a conversation two, three years ago. Yeah. Do we need an and-ar show? Yeah. Right.

We said, like, do you need an Android? Right. So it's like, let's see what you got for us. See what you got. Totally. But it is also going to be valid that if the show is just made, as we said, we're going to go, you didn't need it. You didn't need it.

However, if it's fantastic, you're going to go, well, we were wrong. Right. I have no problem saying I was right, which I feel like a lot of audience members. Of course, you're rooting for that. You want to be wrong. It's Captain Hahn. I want her to knock it out of the park. That's what I don't understand about entertainment fans that are like, want it to be bad.

And even if it's good, they still say it's bad. I'm like, for me, I need shit to watch because, especially, I need shit to watch that my wife is going to want to watch with me too. So I'm always rooting for stuff to be good because I want to watch stuff. I want to be able to. And it's like there's just been so much crap lately. There's just been so much crap. Or again, mid.

Yeah, there's a lot of mid shows. When your goal is to watch 120 shows a year, you're watching a lot of mid-stop. I do not envy you. Great, Ross. What are you laughing at? Well, because I thought of a main character. That died? Yeah, that died in their show.

Roseanne. It's a comedy, so it's a little different. But they also have different circumstances. They OD'd. They OD'd her in her own show. That's amazing. That's a metaverse I sign up for it. That's a different situation.

She can't come back. They don't want the people rooting for her. That's good. Diego Luna starts going crazy on Twitter. Then we know that Andrew could probably die before Rogue 1. We know he's in Rogue 1. It's a clone. If Rosanna was in Rogue 1, they wouldn't have killed her off.

I want to see Roseanne as a clone trooper. Listen, we got a lot. We talked about a lot. There was so much that we talked about. sure we missed some stuff, but whatever.
