Starting point is 00:02:11 Oh man, oh man. More stuff. So here's a rumor. Zoe Kravitz is not coming back. Is Catwoman in the Batman Part 2? Why not? What happened? more DC news, more DCU news, I guess,
Starting point is 00:02:26 Peacemaker Season 2 is really, really close to 100%. But not there, but close. That's good news for the DCU. And I guess there's some other stuff that we'll discuss, whether it's DC, Moral Paramount stuff, that and more. It's myself and Mike Kalinowski here, talking about everything going on in the world of movie news.
Starting point is 00:02:52 So thanks for being here. Appreciate it. Let's get into it. It's Tuesday for Shnarlow show. Here we go. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the show. I appreciate it. It is very nice to have everybody back here today.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Joining me on the show this early California morning is Michael Nalski. What's up, Mike? God, there we go. All right, now I'm back. Yeah, I got it. I got you. You got it. Looking good, buddy.
Starting point is 00:03:31 How you doing? I'm tired, but I'm good. Good. Not because the time change. I'm just long... I finally saw F1. And? Dude.
Starting point is 00:03:41 So good. I said this last... I did a tweet. Like, if I had seen it when it first came out, I don't think it would have hit the way it did for me. Just because I've been going through some stuff lately. Yeah. Past month.
Starting point is 00:03:51 And that movie... It's old school. But it's just awesome. Yeah, it's just awesome. It's so damn good. I think it's my favorite movie here. Like cheering out loud. I was looking.
Starting point is 00:04:02 literally cheering and clapping. Like I felt my hands like clenching at certain times. Like you feel like the way he shoots it, you feel like you're in the park. Kazinsky is that how you pronounce his name? Man, that guy is something, man. You know what he's doing next? Hold on. I think I do know.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Not Maverick, not Mevirt or Top God 3, right? No, he's doing a UFO disclosure movie. Oh, oh, oh, up your alley. Yeah, he's the guy, the guy who testified in front of Congress. Oh, shit. And three is, is a consultant on the film.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Oh. and Apple's doing it. That's nice. That's good. Yeah. This is like Apple's biggest hit. It's like almost 500 million. That's huge. But it was just so good. You saw it in the theater?
Starting point is 00:04:46 Yeah, that was the thing. So Shannon and I wanted to go, we were going to see it Friday night, and we pulled into the parking garage. And we did this thing because, you know, movies are now, they'd sell you 35 minutes before the movie. You got trailers. We left the house like five minutes before the showtime, but then it was, we didn't realize it was a Friday night. We got stuck in a parking garage. where you got to go all the way up to the top and all the way down because no one's telling you that there's no spots.
Starting point is 00:05:06 And we both were like, let's just go home. And I was sitting around last night and I was like, I want to go to a movie. She's like, go see the damn movie. You want to see it in theaters. Because I think it's like one of the last weeks. There's only like,
Starting point is 00:05:17 well, it comes out. Yeah, I think it came out on digital already today. I'm so glad I saw it in the theaters. Yeah. It was, it was awesome.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Yeah. I think that's, so Tina's coming in tomorrow. And I think that's the reaction that we're going to do. I just released my, like literally right before we went. in the air, I released our Superman reaction. I put that up on the channel.
Starting point is 00:05:37 I'll say this, seen it only once. I think it might be better than Superman and Fantastic for it for me. Oh, for me, that's it. I'm almost kind of like, I'm such a DC guy, and I had such a good time with that movie, and I love that movie, but just the visceral reaction I had in that movie. It reminds me of the kind of movies that came out when we were kids. Yeah, I just, I loved all the characters.
Starting point is 00:06:01 I loved the team that he worked with. I didn't get, and a lot of my friends told me about support. I didn't get a lot of the references, the real F1 drivers and stuff. I knew where they were when they popped in because it kind of like broke this thing for a second. Me either, but I didn't mind. I thought it just, and I just said, well, Dam's and it just was amazing. And he's really good. I like to see him as Black Panther.
Starting point is 00:06:21 I thought he was really that good. I was just locked in. I can't wait to watch it again tomorrow because I'm pretty sure it's my number one right now. but I got sinners and weapons fighting for that spot also, so I don't know. For me, it's mission. And that's just because it is what it is to me. But yeah, it's, it's a good, I think it might be two for me this year. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:06:44 It's so good. Anyway, so, well, that's, that's F1. And that comes out, I think, on digital today, if not tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure it's today. But we got other news, lots of news that's popping up. A lot of D.C. stuff, Mike. And I don't know if you heard the most recent rumor. going on here, but the rumor is that Zoe Kravitz, who is great in the Batman, is not reprising her role as Selena Kyle in the Batman part two. It's what it is, a new rumor.
Starting point is 00:07:11 So let's see what this rumor is. Josh Wilding, the Batman ended with the Dark Night and Selena Kyle going their separate ways while Catwoman leaves Gotham behind. Batman bows to inspire hope in his city moving forward rather than he's acting vengeance on its criminal element. In the penguin, Selena wrote to her half-sister Sophia Gante. who had found herself locked up in Arkham State Hospital. That seemed like a plot point we'd further explored in either the Penguin season two or the Batman Part two, though the latter seems unlikely based on a new rumor, according to Jeff Snyder.
Starting point is 00:07:44 At last week's caught stealing junkie journals were asked by publicists not to ask Zoe Kravitz any questions about the Batman Part two because she is not in it and does not know anything for a source. No word on whether that's true. as we all know, publicists lie. But that's the word on the street, just saying, don't shoot the messenger. Snyder points out publicist lie. And that might have just been a way to avoid the junk
Starting point is 00:08:09 and being hijacked by an endless stream of questions about Catwoman's expected return in the Batman sequel. However, it's possible that filmmaker Matt Reeves couldn't find a place for the character in his and Matt Sintelman's script. In many respects, the Batman 2 doesn't need Catwoman as her story reached a largely fitting end in the first movie. As for that, Sophia Teas, it simply shows Selena is still out there somewhere
Starting point is 00:08:32 and likely making a new life for herself. We also can't discount the possibility that DC Studios has his own plans for the femme fatale in the DCU. The brave and the bold will pick up with the experienced Batman who discovers that he has a 10-year-old son, Damien. That means he likely encountered Catwoman, and if she's set to factor into a DC Studios movie
Starting point is 00:08:50 and a wider DCU, that it might have forced Reeves to move on from Selena. We watch cats and lions and how they fight and talked about what is actually possible when you're my size. And that's just a quote from the older one. Okay. So I don't buy it. I don't buy it. Oh, you don't think so?
Starting point is 00:09:10 I think this is exactly what, did you say tough guy? I called you tough guy. I don't think so tough guy. Tell me why. Yeah, I don't buy it. I don't buy it. What I do buy is your shirt.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Your shirt's wonderful. by the way it's a really good shirt it's really awesome man i'm represented i'm surprised that nobody has remade that um anyway i do think that she's going to be in this i do think that that's it it is inevitable i think she'll be in it i think that is exactly what snider said the publicists are full of it because they didn't want they like okay she does not want anyone asking about the batman do you want her to focus on this movie and if everybody just asking about the batman part two it's just going to that's all the clips in the social media clips are going to be so tell not to ask if she's not in it.
Starting point is 00:09:57 And that's fine. And she was, oh, well, they changed it later on in the line. She's in it. Yeah, I don't surprisingly disagree with you. Like, I mean, I joke because I'm always like, my God, if one more publicist or pundon has to ask, do you want to be in an MCMO movie? You haven't been in one.
Starting point is 00:10:15 You want to be in one. And they're doing this movie that they love. And they got to talk about that. Because then the guy's like, well, my producer told me I have to ask this. So I think they said, yeah, don't talk. about it. She's not in it. Talk about this movie. But on the other hand, like that article stated, if she's not, her stuff in the first one was done. Like, she left. I mean, granted, that woman is always in Batman's world. Right. But for this particular, and if he's doing a trilogy.
Starting point is 00:10:42 She could pop up in the third one. Yeah. Like if she, her, she's out there. She doesn't need, unless she needs to come back, why is she coming back? It's true. I don't buy the whole, I don't buy the whole thing that the reason why they're not going to do it is because the brave and the bold and it's like no i don't buy that at all you're doing batman if they're doing batman they can do catwoman yeah that's off limits all the sudden nah right it's like well if you're doing bad man you can't have cat woman because she's going to be brave in the bold well so's batman yeah that that's nonsense i i think that's nonsense but um i think that's yeah i mean is it necessary that she comes back as you said no i don't think it's necessary will it be like oh this is going to be this
Starting point is 00:11:22 going to hurt if she's not in it like as much even i guess even if ante circus wasn't in it it it wouldn't be a huge detriment but circus you need to be in it i mean come i'd love to see him in it but but do you need the only one you really need to be in it is batman it's the only when you need and i guess commissioner i'd argue you need alfred in there i would love to see him in there but i think i think if anything she's maybe pops back up at the end and then And, you know, they go for the third film and wrap it up. But what do I don't know anything. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:11:57 But either way, Selena Kyle rumored to not be returning. What do you guys think? You think this is BS? You think that this is just the publicist talking nonsense? Or you think it's legit? She's not going to be in it. Put your thoughts in there.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Let us know whether it's in the comments section, whether it's on the Clips channel. You just go to Christian Arnold's Clips. A lot of stuff over there. And, of course, in the live chat. Speaking of the live chat, Mike, yesterday, John Roker had 58. Oh. You can be 50.
Starting point is 00:12:28 I don't know. It's me by myself today. I don't know. We'll see what happens. You're close. You got one right now. So you have about 57 a time. Fucking story of my life, man.
Starting point is 00:12:43 You got 57 to go. Fucking story of my life, dude. Yeah, so we'll see if you can get to beat. He got one. You got one. You got a tough guy. I have news for the audience. And yesterday we did a test myself and Luke.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Somebody talked about this, you read the Air to the Empire books, obviously. So long ago, yeah. Right, of course. So there was this channel that did, I think it's Star Wars Chronicles. I think that's what it's called. And somebody in the chat had recommended it.
Starting point is 00:13:15 And I said, you know what? We're going to try these virtual reactions soon. So Luke and I were, we went on, we did a virtual reaction to these three. parts of the heir to the empire. We're going to release it. But it made me realize with pretty good quality in the way that we did this, we're going to be actually able to do virtual reactions.
Starting point is 00:13:33 And it seems like you're sitting in the room with the person. It actually worked pretty well. You're not like talking over each other. You don't lose. With you, you probably lose the internet. I don't know, but there are a lot of other people. So we're going to be starting no soon. And I was talking to Winston last night.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Man, the stuff that Winston hasn't seen is incredible. He hasn't seen good fellas. He hasn't seen. He never saw Saving Private Ron. I'm like, oh man, I can't wait to watch these. And he saw, Winston saw one Rocky movie. He saw Rocky Three. That was that.
Starting point is 00:14:00 So, um, he went there for Clover Lang. Is that the Rocky Three is Clover Lang or no? Yeah, he went there for an audition. Um, so I'm, I'm, we're putting together a full list of, um, uh, movies he hasn't seen Chris Carr. So Chris Carr, Steph and Winston are going to be on the, really the first round of, of these. It's going to be, it's a, that's a, that's a, that's a cracker jack team you got there for We're seeing.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Steff's movie wheelhouses. It's vast. Vast. That's something she's missing. And so for you, once we're working on, like I just talked to my off air, we're working on Mike's camera setup and Chris Carr's helping him out with that. So once we get that work and Mike could probably pop in, there's a handful of stuff you haven't seen.
Starting point is 00:14:43 There's a, well, now we could talk about it. Now the Shmodon's over. There's a ton of shit I haven't seen. Like in classics, like the classic movies that, that's my that was always my weakness in shmode I was my classics it depends on how yeah but you're talking Rachel Cushing classic stuff I don't know how much no I'm talking like
Starting point is 00:14:59 like yeah I guess you would like I remember Janine just embarrassed me with what was it Jimmy Stewart one of those yeah yeah right but like we wouldn't we wouldn't hit those but I think like I'd love to get a bunch of those you know what I'd actually probably like to watch with you is the game of your own series
Starting point is 00:15:18 oh god yeah I'll sit through that with you Yeah, so maybe anyway. I'll watch that with you. There's a lot. There's a lot we're going to be working on. Now that we're able to actually make that work and the sound is good and everything because we're not, we wouldn't be using Stream Yard for that.
Starting point is 00:15:30 They're different programs. So, and it's so much better that quality and everything too. So we're excited about it. Anyway, let's get. I'm very proud of you. Let's get to some more stuff because there is a bunch of new stuff as we will see if Mike can at least get to 10 today. We'll find off.
Starting point is 00:15:50 We'll find that. pretty soon. You know what I'm going to take it as? I'm going to say this as if I don't get to 10 or don't be Roca, I don't think people like Happy Mike. I think they want Pissed Off Mike. So maybe I can bring him back. No, maybe Pissed Off Mike is the reason why you only have one.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Nah. Nah. No. Nah, people like this. I think people like pissed off Mike. I don't know. I would go to the Clips channel and look at that clip. I would say after my.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Um, that was something. All right. So that was my, my favorite, my favorite, they got the favorite, you know, they got the Mike hates women and doesn't like talk to women. Mike talks down to women. That was my favorite. That was, that was, that was my favorite that everyone was thrown at me the next couple days. What I saw, what I saw with someone, one is like, you know, you, you, you make fun of Mike too much.
Starting point is 00:16:42 I'm like, do you, have you just met me and Mike? That's all we do. People went at you say, you make fun of me too much. You're making fun of Mike. that's why he got mad. I'm like, what? I was like, what are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:16:54 Then they're going, and then I was like, the guy, I was just about to get my opinion two seconds ago. He called me tough guy. I'm like, that's not, that's what we do.
Starting point is 00:17:01 That's ball busting. That's ribbon. That's ball busting. I was like, Mike, there's no, there's no world of Mike was mad at me. Um,
Starting point is 00:17:07 so I don't know what was going on in them, but it wasn't, it wasn't me. Um, anyway. So we got peacemaker. Are you excited about peacemaker? Hell yeah. I am.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Are you fucking kidding me? Look at you. I am excited. I'm allowed up. I liked the first season very much. So season two, getting some good reviews. Peacemaker Season 2 loses the perfect 100% rotten tomato score, but still sets a record for Jim's Gunn.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Peacemaker Season 2 has lost its perfect 100% score and rotten tomatoes as more reviews are counted, but the series remains filmmaker James Gunn's highest rated superhero project on the review aggregator. Josh Wilding says Peacemaker Season 2 recently arrived on Rotten Tomatoes with 100%, but now that more verdicts have been counted, 38 in total, the certified series has slipped to a still excellent 97%. The only negative review comes from Slant Magazine.
Starting point is 00:18:04 The site's critic writes, the series may admire really connect the dots, but the results are patchy. Still, this is why to me, Rotten Tomato sometimes doesn't work. Still, and I'll tell you why in a second. Still, while Peacemaker Season 2 has lost its perfect score, it remains the best reviewed superhero project from filmmaker James Gutt.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Here's how his Marvel and DC movies and TV shows compare, according to the review aggregator, Peacemaker Season 2, Coming in at 97%. Creature Commandos, number two, surprisingly, in 95. Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, 94. Peacemaker, Season 1 at 93, Guardians of the Galaxy at 92, the Suicide Squad at 90.
Starting point is 00:18:40 The Gardens of Galaxy volume 2 is 85. This is the craziest thing I've seen. Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 3 is 82%. I don't understand this. This is the win for DC Studios, particularly as many have questioned why Peacemaker is getting a second season before several of the Chapter 1
Starting point is 00:18:58 Gods and Monsters movies and TV shows announced at the start of 2020, have yet to materialize. Still, Gunn will take a step back in 202026 as the spotlight shifts to movies and TV shows he's neither written nor directed. Lanterns, Supergirl, Clayface, the filmmaker is currently hard at work
Starting point is 00:19:12 on a new superfamily movie, though. In our review of Peacemaker's season two, we wrote Peacemaker Season 2 feels like a holy super superfut uh help me out there Mike Superfluous whatever addition to the new DCU and lacks the stakes and emotion that made season the one so special fortunately it's by some fun surprises for fans and another exceptional turn from John Cena. Okay. So as we get to the reviews in general, you excited or what? do you mute me when you're talking during those days? No, I didn't.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Luckily enough, actually, something that I really love, which is great, is that now with these new graphics, when I read the stories, they can't hear you guys. It's really good. Ah, damn it. You're out now, so it's good. Anyway. Yeah, I'm excited for peacemaker.
Starting point is 00:20:04 Are you kidding me? But does this make you more excited with all the positive reviews? That's what crap about those reviews? Like, you know, me? Come on, man. Like to my one Like I like the character I knew the character of the comics But again he's very different
Starting point is 00:20:20 What they did with him But like it was one of those things is like yes DC so I'll watch it After that first episode I was in like I love I love the show I love I think it's I love Sina I love that he's such a fun personality and and just seems like a good guy and I like the fact that they say it really kind of sets up what's going forward and the DC you Yeah, man. I mean, sometimes the tone of the show goes a little too far. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:50 But, oh, well, what do I care? What do I got to say about it? Well, look, it does go too far, but like I said, I mean, I like that, it goes too far, I'm going to, and I think that when you look at the reviews in general, the things that have, the superhero movies for James Gunn and superhero shows, this is his kind of wheelhouse, more so than Superman in my opinion. Yeah, I agree. I think it allows him to be funny.
Starting point is 00:21:15 It's asking him to be funny. You know, and then because you want, you want these types of jokes. You want it, it is, it's, I saw this before I saw the boys, right? So like, it was, it was like, you still haven't seen the boys, right? Nah. Okay. So, I watched the first episode. The boys to me, it was like, oh, now, it almost was like a, an appetizer.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Because I, I loved the peacemaker so much. feel like just wait until you see boys and what they're in the same neighborhood of what they do um but i like i like where they're going with this i think john seen this is the best role john cina has ever had um and i'm also excited to see how it ties into superman now that i've seen superman twice um and now i'm i'm definitely more acclimated with the new dc u after seeing it twice or there was a couple things that i caught the second time and i didn't see the first time um and so i i think it's a good it i understand why they put Superman on digital so fast. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:15 Leading into peace. No, have you seen any of the episodes of Peacemaker yet or no? Not yet. I haven't people have gotten some of them, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm should be getting them soon. Like, I love the fact that like Guy Gardner is going to be in this.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Like he fits peacemakers so damn good. Definitely, he does. Like, does hear him in this world. Like, and I agree with you with gun. Like, this is his wheelhouse. I think that's why when D.C. first approach. him for Superman. He's like, no, I can't do it. I don't connect to it. And he went to suicide squad and then had a story with Superman that he wanted to tell. And you could tell
Starting point is 00:22:48 watching that movie, whether you like the movie or not, he had a story to tell that he wanted to do with his Superman that set it apart. Sure. And I think it would be interesting for me to be watching Supergirl. Because that, I think, is it Craig Gillespie, right? He had said with the director. Gunn was very hands off. Like he had stuff he put in there and he was always talking to him. But it's, Gillespie said, I think his quote was about each film in this world will be like a graphic novel where the filmmaker
Starting point is 00:23:16 has their voice and it doesn't have to match a tone that was set before it, but it's still in the same world. So I'm very excited. But since this is some gun is directed, I think two of these episodes at least. Oh, did he direct? Supergirl, I think
Starting point is 00:23:31 he directed more in season one than he did two. Okay. I'm sure because he's probably. I think he said this is some of the best stuff he's ever directed for him, his most fun stuff, but I'm going to wait for Supergirl to see the tone of the DCU, like if it's all going to be this or if we're going to go something different and, yeah, back and forth. So we'll see. And what is it?
Starting point is 00:23:51 How many? Well, I was trying to think. I don't know. Well, no, I wonder how many episodes the critics got a hold on. Oh, I heard they got five. They have five. They didn't get six, seven, eight, and because those are the three huge ones. That tie in everything.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Because he said he did not want these spoiled. He didn't want them getting out. He wants everyone to see them together. So I think everyone got five. So they've, so what they, what they're reviewing essentially is the first five. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Okay. So I heard. I don't have them. I don't do that stuff. Yeah. So we'll see, we'll see how it pans out. But I'm,
Starting point is 00:24:20 I'm pretty, I'm pretty excited for it. And I, and it's, it's coming out really, really soon. So I think, yeah,
Starting point is 00:24:26 next week, right? Or at the end of this week? Do you know, are they releasing episodes one and two? I don't think. Someone put a graphic on Twitter last night. I think they're one a week. Is it one a week?
Starting point is 00:24:36 That's good. That's good. I think so. Okay, so the first one, so it comes out this Thursday, apparently? Oh, wow. Is this Thursday? That makes sense. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Oh, no, just one, wait, just one a week, and it comes up the Thursday is what the audience is saying. Okay. There we go. Good to know. Good to know. Well, that's it for peacemaker. What do you guys think? Are you excited for peacemaker?
Starting point is 00:24:58 Do you want to see it? Are you going to be tuning in every week on Max to check out the latest in the DCU? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. Okay, before we get to our other topics, which we have a bunch, I want to tell you guys about our friends over at both Masterclass and NeutroFal, and then we were right back, man, I am going to tell you guys right now. When I heard Masterclass was coming on to sponsor the show, it was like,
Starting point is 00:25:23 oh, this is great. I haven't used a Masterclass forever. It's just the best. So I've been talking about business, the way the business works and the movie business, and they have the Masterclass by Bob Iger. that I use. And man, just listening to that guy and the access you get
Starting point is 00:25:41 because of Masterclass, holy moly. I was able to use some of those tips and things that he was saying and just like little exercises that he does in his life when he wakes up, things that you try to do,
Starting point is 00:25:52 even something simple is just not even being around your phone. Hearing people that you're like, oh, look at what they've done, what they've accomplished, and clearly they have some kind of game plan. That's what you get for Masterplast, because there's nothing from gaining a fresh perspective
Starting point is 00:26:05 from experts who've seen it all. and they get the wisdom to prove it. So that's what I got when I was listening to that Bob Iger one. It really has changed my whole perceptive on all of us. A masterclass, you can learn from the best to become your best. They've got plans starting like $10 a month. You can develop your singular voice with Mindy Kaling, and you can learn to tell a story that persuades people with Michael Lewis.
Starting point is 00:26:46 There's so many different people. So one with Natalie Portman over there. I've been watching yet, but I'm going to. And the classes they do really make a difference. Starting point is 00:28:47 Hey, Masterclass? Yeah, isn't that great? Dude, man, I take one of those. I did them. It was during the pandemic. They were running like a buy one, get one free special. Yeah. And I, man, it was right when I started writing the bond book, too. So all their authors, they're that master class. That thing is, yeah, man. It's really, really awesome. I really hope to. I didn't know you got it, so I'm not trying to plug it. Yeah, no, this week, they just came on. That thing is.
Starting point is 00:29:14 I hope that the audience takes advantage of it because I was going through some of it. Like I just jumped to the Bob Iger one right away. And I think because I get like, because I did have it at one point, I always get the ads. There's one about like, there's like an FBI hostage negotiator that's like about, but you being able to work rooms and navigate rooms and control a room with your, you know, I was like, man, you could spend hours. Well, yeah, I'm going to take it. Yeah, you can spend hours upon hours on that thing for sure.
Starting point is 00:29:39 All right, we're going to switch over away from some of the comic book stuff at the moment. And we're going to switch as in the way that I did for the reactions right now. I was watching Superman today, but on Saturday actually released, Sam had never seen Lord of the Rings before. So you watched Fellowship of the Ring for the first time. And now there's some news. There is some news. and the news is for the new movie coming out here, it looks like Frodo's coming back in the new Gallum film.
Starting point is 00:30:10 So Ian McKellen has revealed that Andy Circus is upcoming to Lord of the Rings. The hunt for Gallum film will feature another familiar face in Frodo Baggins. Film is set prior to the events of Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship of the Ring as Aragorn, Gandalf, and Soron are all looking for Gallum. Film will unfold from the title's perspective, and that last report was set to film in the early mid-mid, 2026 appearing on a panel at london's for love of fantasy even on a sunday mckellan confirmed the characters gandolph and froto are part of the new film i hear there's going to be another movie shut in
Starting point is 00:30:44 middle earth can't do it and it's going to start filming in may it's going to be directed by gollum and it's all about gallum i'll tell you two secrets about the casting there's character in the movie called froto and there's another character called gandolph apart from that my lips are sealed a lager wood who appeared as froto in the previous films was reportedly present at the event alongside Sean Aston, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, and John Reese Davies. Circus directed the film with Peter Jackson returning to produce along Fran Walsh, Philippina Boyans, and the latter working on a script or treatment. Okay. So then let's go with this.
Starting point is 00:31:21 You got to assume this is Peter Jackson, who uses every new digital tool. If you're going to have Frodo Baggins in it, because look, with both, I think Gandalf, is the one where you don't need de-aging. You just put them enough makeup. You can't tell the difference. Aragorn and Frodo are going to need some de-aging here. Yeah, I'm still trying to wrap my head around in the movie. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Like, it's about Gallum, but it's them. When did they say it's set between? In between the Lord of the Rings films? It's set right before the Lord of the Rings films. Remember in that opening scene? Right before Fellowship. So Strider is off in the bar when we first meet him. so you could do him,
Starting point is 00:32:03 but Frodo's just walking on the shire eating fucking potatoes. More or less. It's true, yeah. But I guess, Ghalam, he would have been turned by now because they do the whole thing in the, I think it's the second book, or the second movie where they show him getting the ring from his friend. Oh, he's turned.
Starting point is 00:32:20 At that point, I mean, that's, if they do it right before. But how do the three of them, like, they don't ever, they can't connect with each other. They're not supposed to be in the same movie. Right. So in the beginning of the fellowship, after just watching it again, you know, you see, because Bilbo had taken the ring because Gollum lost at one point, Billbo takes it. So Gallum was just in a cave screaming and yelling and coming after Bilbo. But then he did, yeah, remember, he gets caught. Gollum gets caught by the orcs because they took photo. Or he said, Baggins. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's, they're on the search.
Starting point is 00:33:02 for him. What the actual, it's gonna, it looks like it's a Golum movie, so they're probably gonna really follow him and his back and forth of, and maybe, maybe what they do is as you said, like the turn,
Starting point is 00:33:14 maybe they jump back and forth and you see him as before he turned into the creature. But as far as Elijah would, I can't imagine it's more than anything than a glorified cameo. I mean, unless it's one of these things where he's sitting out on the shire like old Bilbo
Starting point is 00:33:31 writing his stories. That could be true. You know. The Lord of the, is the Rings of Power still going? Are they done with that? I wrap that up? I think they're doing another season. And from what I've heard,
Starting point is 00:33:44 the second season was better. I was so, the first one was so boring to me that I was like, I'm just curious who this is for. Well, this is for the fans of the original Lord of the Rings movies because Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh,
Starting point is 00:33:57 and all of them are coming back. Those, they had nothing to do with the Amazon series. Okay, okay. See, but it gets to the point where you dilute the brand so much. You really do.
Starting point is 00:34:07 I mean, Lord of the Rings, if anything, if anything, though, could have built that world out and been, you know, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Yeah. And then they had that war of the Rohirum animated. I think I'm the only person who liked that movie. But it just seems like everything is so scattershot. It's not like, hey, this is all under the same umbrella,
Starting point is 00:34:28 and we're just going to bring you Lord of the Rings from all different periods. and it's like, I don't know. I don't know. What I'm hoping for in the same way that I hope for in Star Wars, which I think recently got with Andrew. What do you hope for, big shot? I don't know, they're tough guy.
Starting point is 00:34:43 I think that what it is is the feel of the original Lord of the Rings, right? The three movies, the Hobbit didn't capture them. They went to, they went to digital orcs and all that, and they just lost the magic of that feel. So maybe that's what they're trying to do. with this. Maybe they're trying to say, okay, and Andy is directing and it's not, it's not directed by, um, yeah, by Peter Jackson. Now, people don't realize any Jackson, Andy, uh, circus,
Starting point is 00:35:12 directus? Yeah, he directed. Yeah, his buddy Andy Jackson. But he directed a bunch of stuff on the original Lord of the Rings. He was like second unit and he did a bunch of stuff too. So he did, he did a lot of Lord of the Ring stuff. I don't like Circus. Do you see his jungle book? Wasn't that Fabro? Yes, but Andy Circus also directed a different one that wasn't John. You're on top of it today, tough guy. Yeah, so.
Starting point is 00:35:40 I think no, Circus did, he did do one, right? Not Dumbo, that's Tim Burton. He did Jungle Book. I just told you. Did he? Yes. Oh, so you were right. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:54 I'm wrong. Yes, you were wrong, like always. But I didn't know, Mowgli was the name of it instead of Jungle Book. It was a Mowgli. Okay, dumb nuts. He didn't do the jungle book. I'm nuts. It was the same.
Starting point is 00:36:07 It's Moly. But it's called Moogley. It's not Jungle Book. But it's Moogley. But it's Moogh. And you would have marked me wrong in the Shmowdown. So you shut your mouth if I said that. That's probably true.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Exactly. Exactly. That's probably true. I'll tell you what. What's that? I'm hosting the show now. Want me to host the show? Big balls?
Starting point is 00:36:29 Big balls. Hey, don't you have a lawsuit going against you, Big Balls? I think, I think, I don't even think you call yourself big balls anymore, big balls. There's a lawsuit happening in this country, and you are on the outs. That's someone who stole my pseudonym. Nah. I heard he's got bigger balls than you, so.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Oh, well, not anymore. Let me ask you questions. Just change you to numb nuts. I want you to listen to me. Knock those nuts. I'll call him numb nuts. Yeah, you're not even listen. You're the king of that.
Starting point is 00:36:57 You don't listen. You know what. I was a little bitch. Look at you. Look at you. Okay. What? Are you angriest today?
Starting point is 00:37:04 You happy. I've got a Diet Coke here. I'm happy. Oh, oh, see, that's it. You drink a Diet Coke here.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Yeah. I do. Here. Do this. Oh. And look at my pencil. It's staring at you. Is that your leg or those are two nuts?
Starting point is 00:37:19 Speaking to the microphone. Is that your leg or your two nuts? Yeah. Your microphone here? My dick and balls. Perfect. Thank you, Big balls.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Thank you. That was good to have you. Someone said good, he's dead when he's laying on the floor. Poor big balls. You know who the fuck is wrong with me. I was going to say, you know, oh, oh, today, Jesus Christ. I'm going to say, you know, who's seeing their share of big balls?
Starting point is 00:37:51 What? Who's Sharon Stone is in the news? That's not fair. That's not fair. I don't know why I said that, but I did. Don't expect Stone to be back in the basic instinct reboot. Last month came in the news that 1991's basic instinct was being rebooted with the original movie screenwriter Joe Esther House, returning to Penn the film.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Esther House reportedly scoring millions for the film, which was dubbed anti-woke and doesn't shy away from the sleaziness of his 1990 films like Sliver, Showgirls, and Jade. At the same time, the reports that Sharon Stone may be circlingly returned to her role of Catherine Tremel in the film. part she did reprise for the Wiley Pan flop a basic and sing too speaking with today stone made it pretty clear she's not involved in it if it goes the way the one i was in went then i would just say i do not know why you would do it go ahead good eff and luck stone currently on screen as the villain of nobody too says she now is at an age where she can be uh she can be candid as the longer cares what says she now is at an age where she can be candid as she no longer cares what anybody thinks of her the no one there. I'm at that stage of my life where I already retired once and I already died a
Starting point is 00:39:04 couple of times. I'm like, what are you going to do? Kill me again. Go ahead. Stone recently shared to Business Insider that she and Basic Instinct co-star Michael Douglas first met at Cannes and had a verbal fight, but said the tension resulted in her following, her casting provided beneficial. It worked great because I was not rattled if he yelled at me. That was interesting for the character because Michael has a temper and I didn't care. That worked very well in our dynamic. Eventually, we became the greatest of friends to this day. I admire him tremendously. Mike, is this something
Starting point is 00:39:35 should she even be in this movie? Does it matter? Why are they even making this movie? That's what I got to say to that. Why? Why are we making? So then we're going to make that movie just so they can do some new version of the crotch shot. That's what this whole movie is going to be made about.
Starting point is 00:39:52 It's going to be a big deal about this. And it's going to be, who are we going to sit there, Sidney, to spread her legs and, you know, show the old, you know, whatnot. How do you do? The old, uh, you better, there we go. Eagle, like the American Eagle. Yeah. So, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:40:12 The original one's so good and it was so ahead of its, not ahead of its time, but just, well, they try to see one of those films that. It stomp. It stunk. Like, just let well enough be well. And again, the name basic instinct, which they're using it for. doesn't get the people they want they they there two generations of movie movie movies goes that don't give a shit about that movie no it no unless you do you again do it
Starting point is 00:40:34 do it an apple or something but it it you're right though even though you're joking around about it it depends on who you get in that role because that's the only way you're really going to do it because it's and but if hester house is doing it you know that's but here's a thing i've also noticed and i notice this a lot when it comes to comic book writers when you get a writer that was so good during a certain period and then I don't know what he's done for the past, what, 30 years? Like that happened a lot with Stanley, who's one of the greatest comic writers of all time.
Starting point is 00:41:05 But when they would do Stanley and he'd write modern comics, it was just kind of like, you don't have your sense on the pulse of the way people talk now and what's going on in the world. So I don't know what he's been doing. So I can't say, you know, it's not one of these writers that have been writing for the past, constantly, every style changes and it goes with the time. but Estherhouse said a very specific.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Yeah. He had a very specific voice. Yeah. Product of the late, mid to late 90s. It's like watching, I watched a, I think it was Paul Verhoven
Starting point is 00:41:37 did a film recently. And it was fine, but I was just like, oh, he's a different guy in the 80s and 90s. He was a different place in his head. And different, dude,
Starting point is 00:41:46 it happens with everybody, musician, actors, you go through different, you're in your prime for a reason. You know, and some people, find their prime later in life
Starting point is 00:41:58 and that's their prime and there's other people that can still do it like you look at like Martin Sorsese who's still able to but he's also been the same he hasn't ventured out and done a superhero film he has his real house is what and like Nolan will always be like that he's
Starting point is 00:42:14 evolved his voice but it's maturing with him right so I don't know I think Sharon Stone's making the right choice here I don't think so I think this is going to be a nothing burger Yeah, we'll see. Is this going to be a streaming movie?
Starting point is 00:42:29 Is this going to be something you're interested in or who gives a flying F? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. Okay. I think one of the last stories we're going to do here is his Bond. So you've got to talk to Mike about James Bond. Helen Mirren. The great Helen Mirren.
Starting point is 00:42:49 She says, I'm a feminist. And Bond must be a guy. There are various fundamental aspects to the James Bond character. But arguably the most essential aspects are that Bond is British and male. Former Bond franchise steerer Barbara Brock. It was very clear on this. And insiders talking with the British trades after Amazon took control of the franchise made it clear that in any workspace on the property, Bond has to be British or from the Commonwealth and he has to be male.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Now, the one and only Dame Helen Mirren has weighed in on the debate while promoting Thursday Murder Club. She tells Saga magazine she doesn't think a woman should portray the character. She said, I'm such a feminist, but James Bond has to be a guy. You can't have a woman. It just doesn't work. James Bond has to be James Bond, otherwise becomes something else. Merence co-star, Pierce Brosden, who himself played Bond across four films from 1995 to 2002, also weighed in about the new era of the film, saying, I wish them well.
Starting point is 00:43:44 I'm so excited to see the next man come onto the stage and to see a whole new exuberance and life for this character. I adore the world of James Bond. It's been very good to me. It's the gift that keeps giving, and I'm just a member of the audience now sitting back saying, Show us what you're going to do. Stephen Knight is pending the script for the next Bond film at Amazon MGM Studios with Deney Villanouc set to direct once he wraps June Messiah. I feel like you agree with Dame Hill and Marion here.
Starting point is 00:44:10 For the lack of being a, you know, a chauvinist. A chauvinist. Yeah, I was going to say that. Like Bond himself, a sexist misogynist dinosaur, a relic of the Cold War. Here's the only thing I'm going to say differently. I was always of the mind, come on, there we go, okay, of the bond should be played by either,
Starting point is 00:44:31 like she said, the man of the commonwealth, that area, like English, Scottish was, you know, Connery. But I'm at the point now, I've seen so many English actors play American superheroes. I'm like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:44:43 Put American in there. If he can do the accent, put them in there. And I only say that because I'm almost sick of of English actors playing American superheroes. I was like, this is like for, you can quote me forever.
Starting point is 00:44:56 There's people in these videos I've done where I'm like, no Americans play him. He needs to be British. He needs to be of English descent. Sure. Now I've changed my mind. I've just seen so many other ethnicities or backgrounds play American superheroes.
Starting point is 00:45:10 And they do it well because you can't tell. You can't tell. I don't have an issue with that either. I think that you get an American in there, put them in there. As long as it's good. As long as the act, you got to that Brit's got to say hey sounds good but I'll say this I'll say this
Starting point is 00:45:25 he is there he is their crown jewel and you you have a you have a potential to lose your audience if you if you cast an American whereas us with the comics we don't care we're like whatever he is such a it is you really you really got it's got to be perfect it can't yeah it's got to be perfect but then again I mean when Craig man they they they They lambasted him and, you know, petitions and websites, this and that, because he was blonde. Right. So, but then again, he proved all the haters wrong and gave us, no matter. Arguably two of the best Bond films of all time.
Starting point is 00:46:03 No matter who it is, they're going to get some kind of criticism up top. That always happens, right? I'm going to start Pierce Brosnan. If Pierce Brosnan, I like the fact that he's talking about it in general, I still, I think you said this a long time ago, and it was really intriguing. And I love the idea of doing like a dark James Bond film with him coming back. Oh, like, like a one. off. Yeah, like a one. I don't need to do, oh, yeah, man. No, just like a one.
Starting point is 00:46:24 It would be like one special with him. If you got all these. He looks so good right now. He's still so great shape. It looks great. I'm just talking about like you, if you have, if you're Amazon, you're doing all these different projects and you want to do a show and you want to do all these things, do a one off movie with. To me. To me. As old kind of withered bond, like, not withered, but like, uh, yeah, I get weathered, weather, whether, not with it. So to me that it also, because he was done dirty.
Starting point is 00:46:51 on his last film because he was going to come back for a fifth one and they just called them up and said hey man we're going different direction i mean they did a much better way than that but it was still a bad i remember for a little while that he was you could tell it hurt but he seems in a much better place now but i think that would be a like to me you want to talk about a guaranteed hit i think that's the one and again it doesn't affect your plans of doing a franchise you keep going with a younger guy but just give him that one film and yeah. I'm excited for the new movie in general.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Now, as far as what Helen Mirren says, I'm with you, it's a, you can't be looked upon as a chauvinist pig. If you say, well, look, it is a different thing, what she says it.
Starting point is 00:47:39 Helen Mirren says the same thing. You can do a female spy in the vein of a James Bond, where you're like, okay, badass spy who is like the top of top of her class is able to do all these different things inside of this organization. She goes off the grid and it's like oh and you say if someone's like what what's this new movie with so and so it's kind of like a female James Bond it's not but it's like it's it feels like a female James Bond that's something like that but when you change the
Starting point is 00:48:08 character's like I'm I'm who is she going to be Jessica Bond or she's going to be it's it doesn't it's that's why like I love atomic blonde like that was your female. male James Bond. But that's the whole point, right? It's like something like that as opposed to having to just change. Well, we want James Bond now to be a woman. And that's like, you don't need it to be. And I think that they've gone away from that.
Starting point is 00:48:31 I think they know that it's not going to be a woman. I think they know. They already said as much. And it's like someone said in the chat, you create new roles. You give you a new spy really. You want to do something with a new kind of badass female spy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:43 What do you guys make of all of this? Put your thoughts in there. about Helen Mirren's comments, should they do a Pierce Bros and thing. What do you think about the new Bond movie, Denny, coming out. And look, Stephen Knight writing it, holy moly, I think we're in for a special thing. Okay, two more stories that are found here that likes. And this one is Colin Farrell, who to me is one of my favorite actors working today. He's going to be in Ballot of a Small Player, and Netflix has released that first trailer for all on the Western Front.
Starting point is 00:49:19 enclave director, Edward Berger's new thriller featuring Ballot of a Small Player, starring Colin Farrell. Lord Doyle is laying low in Maccouse spending his days and nights on the casino floor, drinking heavily and gambling, what little money he has left, struggling to keeping up with his fast-rising debts. He has offered a lifeline by the mysterious Dow Ming, played by Falashen, a casino employee with secrets of her own. However, in pursuit of Cynthia Blith, played by Tilda Swinton, a private investigator ready to confront Doyle with what he is running from. As Doyle tries to climb to salvation, the confines of reality start to close in.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Dian I and Alex Jennings co-star, based on Lawrence Osborne's novel of the same name. Ron Jaffe, The American 28 weeks later adapts the screenplay, Mike Goodridge and Matthew James Wilkinson produced. The film has been set for an October 15th U.S. theatrical release ahead of the film premiering on the streaming service on the 29. Did you see Mike? Did you see
Starting point is 00:50:17 Conclave? No. That was the The Reefines, right? The priesthood and I did not see it. No. Beautiful. I mean,
Starting point is 00:50:27 that movie was a really, it was a really good movie. But it was just gorgeous to look at. You know, and all quiet on the western front, I miss. I mean, not the old school one,
Starting point is 00:50:37 but I knew the new one. I missed. And I really want to go back and revisit it because this is another guy that I think is, there's these new directors that are starting to pop and become like the ones to watch and I think he's one of them.
Starting point is 00:50:49 That's the guy from, is it weapons? The Eggers, is that his name? He's another one, but that's not. Yeah, I'm saying. Yeah, he's definitely one of us. But this guy here, the director of Edward Berger
Starting point is 00:51:02 is another guy who all according to the Western Front, Conclave, that got a whole bunch of, both of those movies got tons of critical acclaim and award nomination. So I wonder if this is going to the case too, especially after the year that Colin Farrell just had with Penguin. And he's just, he's to me is someone that even, there's been tons of stuff that he's been in. And I'd be like, eh, I don't know the movie that didn't, I didn't love it.
Starting point is 00:51:25 But I don't think I've ever said that about him. He's one of those people, like every time he's in a movie, I want to see it. I want to, he's, he's always doing something new. I think he's still, even after Penguin, I still think he's one of the most underrated actors working today. There's a, I just saw trailer last night with him in, is Margo Robbie, like an interesting movie. A new movie coming out? really yeah it looked really good yeah so do you have any interest in this one the synopsis sounding or uh waiting to hear hear what it is yeah yeah wait oh wait yeah so i mean again i just
Starting point is 00:51:55 like the fact that these guys are teaming up the fact that it's coming in on netflix week earlier probably they think there's going to be some oscar buzz behind that's why they're giving it a little bit of a theatrical run up top so um we'll see do you guys have any interest in this movie do you want to see it. Do you like his previous work? Director, do you like Conclave? Do you like Alan Farrell and him teaming up? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. All right, last story before we get
Starting point is 00:52:22 to the questions. Let's do a He-Man story, shall we? Why not? All right. So, Evil Lynn and Skeletor's interesting relationship teased by Master of the Universe star Alison Brie. While promoting her new horror film together, Master of the Universe star Alison Brie, gave
Starting point is 00:52:40 fans a taste of what to expect from her deliciously evil turn in the upcoming live action he man movie production on masters universe which wrapped in june and after a flood of leaked set photos excitement is slowly building to a fever pitch as fans anxiously await the first trailer or behind the scenes feature at for the live action reimagining of the classic 80s cartoon among the most buzzworthy casting choices is alison bray stepping into the role of the cunning sorceress evil lynn while on the press tour for upcoming horror movie to Together, the community alum dropped some tantalizing hints about her villainous new part, giving fans just enough to stoke anticipation without spoiling any surprises.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Speaking to, Hey, you guys, Brie teased Evil Lynn's interesting relationship with Skeletor stating, I was incredibly excited to be part of it. I've never played a true villain before. I've played human beings with villainous traits, but Evelyn is so deliciously villainous. She has so much fun with it, and I love her relationship with Skeletor. It's very interesting. So all those things made the role really fun to play, and I'm so. so excited for people to see it. I do think that generations that grew up watching
Starting point is 00:53:43 Heman are going to love it, and I think it will be really fun to introduce younger generations. Classic Masters of Universe lore. Evil Lynn is often portrayed as Skeletor's most clever and capable right-hand woman, a powerful sorceress. She is often central to his plans to conquer eternity, wielding magic with skill and precision. Yet loyalty has never been her strong suit, given by her own ambitions. Evil Lynn frequently hatches secret schemes, plotting to one day overthrow Skeletor and sees power for herself. This dual nature makes her both an invaluable ally and a perpetual threat. Some versions of the story, their dynamic is further enriched by a tragic backstory,
Starting point is 00:54:17 hinting that evil Lynn may still carry lingering feelings for the man's Skeletor once was before he became the fearsome villain fans know today. He Man is making his long way to return in theaters, yada, yada, yada, yada. Okay. So torn with this movie. Why? Is your history with it? No, but definitely my history with it, right?
Starting point is 00:54:38 And I, like, I still hold on to the fact that Travis Knight is my saving grace here. Who's directing you. That's the whole reason. There's certain things that I've heard about what the movie's going to do and where they're going to start with it and certain parts of what the tone is going to be like that I go, I don't know. I'm not sure. I'm not getting my hopes up high. But then, you know, you hear her and she's got, what actor or actress isn't going to say this,
Starting point is 00:55:03 but fans of the original are going to be really happy. And I'm like, I hope that you're really. telling the truth here. I hope that's the case. Yeah, I get it. I mean, but on the other hand, like when we say that,
Starting point is 00:55:16 like fans of the original, that's us, our demographic. And there's many, many new generations that don't know he and that they have to get invested in this thing. So,
Starting point is 00:55:26 you know, it's interesting. It's a tough thing with this, with the G. I. Joe, Transformers. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Yeah, it is, it is, how they're going to make it work and for Amazon, I hope it works. I really do hope it works. I mean, I'm obviously rooting for it. I want to see how they're going to play the lore. I hope it turns into a big IP and a huge franchise and I hope we get like
Starting point is 00:55:48 three movies from and I hope they use the theme. I really hope that they do, but fingers crossed, we shall see, and I ask you guys what you think. Do you think this is going to be a good movie, bad movie? You like the idea of where they're going to go. Are they going to stick with the Evil Lynn story, those things that I told you, she's going to be similar to what she was
Starting point is 00:56:10 in the animated. It's going to be different. Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. All right. We're going to get to the questions now. And before we do it, I mean, I don't know if I've talked more lovingly about a sponsor on this show as much I have talked about trade coffee. It is a daily routine. It's something that I absolutely love. And I know that a lot of you guys, too, that's why they're back and I'll tell you about them now. I don't know if I could rave about trade anymore that I do. But man, let me try. I love it. Summer's over now. Oh, it's getting
Starting point is 00:56:40 to be over. And so I'm just locked into this morning routine and I love trade coffee. I really do look forward to wake up in the morning. Oh, trade coffee, here we go. They recommend beans that I love. They know me well enough now. And they ensure that they're roasted to order. They ship them fresh to my door. I've gotten so many great coffees. I would have definitely never found these at the grocery store. There's no way. And every cup is really
Starting point is 00:57:04 perfect. I just love it. It's so damn satisfying. Trade coffee is the number one coffee destination in the U.S. for both hot and cold coffee drinkers. They've sourced the best beans from over 50 top roasters across the U.S. They even have easy to use curated gear so you can brew at home with better flavor and value than any cafe or bottled cold brew. I'm telling you, it's like my morning routine. I have trade. If you know my show, you know how much I love trade. It's just the best. The bags that they send are great. I'm able to, I grind the beans. I love them and I'm never gone back. Right now, trade is offering 50% off a one month trial, but you got to go to drinktrade.com slash Christian. That's drinktrade.com slash Christian. Get 50% off one month. Drinktrade.com slash Christian. Go there.
Starting point is 00:57:54 Tell them that we sent you. Love trade coffee. I love trade coffee. But my moderate to severe plaques psoriasis can take me out of the moment. Now I'm all in with clearer skin thanks to Skyrizi. Risenkizum at Rizza, a prescription-only 150 milligram injection for adults who are candidates for systemic or phototherapy. So I was, we just put our, we put our reaction up to Superman. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:14 So in the description for every one of these movies, I always put, on top of it, it's a first time watching, because it's Sam's first time watching. So in the description, this is Sam's first time watching. Yeah. So some guy goes, liar, we know you saw this in the theater. So which I wrote back, I said, read the description, dope. That's that.
Starting point is 00:59:34 That's, you're too nice. Yeah. You got to be like, read the description, you and moron. That's my What an idiot, though. It's like, read the description, you dopey idiot. That's why people are always like, Mike, why you so angry on? I say it. I said it in the beginning of the video.
Starting point is 00:59:51 And I go, I go, listen, just the first time she and I've seen it. I literally say it in the video. I saw the movie. She's singing it the first time. That's to me, and I get it. People like, Mike, you're so angry online. You go out these people. Why? I like, because imagine, I like Twitter. I do.
Starting point is 01:00:06 Because, like, a perfect example for me, Twitter was during Superman. When that came out, like, for a week, just the interaction I had with people was just awesome. It was just people enjoying a movie. And I know people know he is D.C., but, like, constantly you're dealing with this, like, this bombardment of just morons. Like, this one guy's like, this is my Superman sucks. He's sitting there kissing lowest. Does he not remember that there's people in that universe trapped in those prison cells? And everyone's like, there's literally a fucking scene of them coming out.
Starting point is 01:00:35 You fucking morons. Everybody in this chat to just go and say, and say, he said he saw the movie. I want, like, you can imagine like 100 comments responding to that person? He said, but just imagine being that dope that didn't, that said that. Like, what's wrong with people in this world? It's truth.
Starting point is 01:00:54 All right. You got, Pat, you got 21. 21. All right. That's good. A little bit better. A little bit better. You got a shot that hit 58.
Starting point is 01:01:04 I think you do it. I think you can Mike beat broke we're going to find out and the good news is that Mike never really plugs anything so we can go right into it um and what you know usually just plugs his Twitter and you can see it right there they still call it Twitter they just call it X I don't know what they call it but no one calls it X fuck X. All right let's say. That's what I say. All right.
Starting point is 01:01:25 Watch your mouth. So let's go to the first one here and that's Farty Supreme. It's a good one to start. Perfect. Says can we admit Snyder is personally vindictive yet after his reign? He's not professional. He's lost all curled with that. Look, Snyder is a buddy, and I like Snyder as a human being.
Starting point is 01:01:40 And I've told him many times over. I think Snyder's temper gets the best of him sometimes. And like Mike and other people, I just wish that their hands would tell them no when they go to tweet something or say something. But, you know, that's that's it. Okay. That's amazing. That's a good shot of me. Look at that.
Starting point is 01:02:00 He's very proud of yourself. Very proud of myself. Look at me. Perfect. Let me check my, hold on me check my cable to my cable get will get knocked out. No, we're good. There we go. We're back.
Starting point is 01:02:10 There we go. It's not a show unless you freeze at least six times. Of course. Okay. So there is, that one is coming in there. And I appreciate that. We've got over 500 people watching right now. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:02:22 And if you guys want to get Mike that victory today, at least over Roka, you can get them to 58. Yeah, so many, so many talking about, they can't believe Winston hasn't seen saving private. Ryan. I found that out last night. I was like, that's when we're definitely watching for sure. That's insane. It's a lot of them that he missed. Mike Larry, great name. Have you guys watched Smoke on Apple TV with Journey Smollett and Taryn Egerton? Taryn is perfect for Wolverine. He's a lunatic in this show and Journey is great. No, my wife and I were kind of scrolling through some shows the other day. She said, have you seen this? And I said, I haven't. I don't really know anything about it. So I guess, I guess. Roxy raves about it, right? I think that's one of the shows. She likes, yeah. Okay. I like.
Starting point is 01:03:04 journey some all that. Okay. Orion, one for happy Mike. There you go. There you go. See? Dylan Neal who says we love happy Mike. See? There you go. So happy Mike now with 22. So maybe maybe people do like it. They're going to really prove it if you win. Yeah. How about Chris Carr last way coming in? That is a, I didn't know. I have anything to say to that. It's just like, Bravo. There's a crush. Dylan Neal. Support. Uh, eight. Awesome. What's up in? Support for Mike. Look at all this love, Mike. Scott B. Support for a fellow Dalton Bond.
Starting point is 01:03:37 There we go. There we go. BHS as a kid, and he's been my favorite since. You all have a frontrunner for Bond. I do, the more and more people think that it's not going to happen. I still think she should be Aaron Taylor Johnson.
Starting point is 01:03:49 I'm with you on that. He's like, I don't know enough younger, newer actors to say it. I just think he's so good. That actor, he's so good. I love him.
Starting point is 01:04:01 Okay. Let's say next one after this. Armada. Why we watched soups last night and enjoyed it much more. Mike needs to be Guy Gardner for Halloween. Please. You got a haircut? Dude. The amount of people, I remember watching it, Shannon leads over to me. She's like, Jesus, that's you. And I come to work like two days later. And a lot of the customers were like, you tell them. No, you tell, no, you tell.
Starting point is 01:04:22 I'm like, Mike, we all think you're a guy gardener. Hilarious. Yeah. It's one of it. Like, I get compared to Nathan Phillyenalian a lot. Yeah. Yeah, you could have done, but you still, I think he'd done Nathan Drake. Still think you get it on that. But I'm toying with the idea of going for him, Miss Harleine. You should. That'd be fun. You got to get that haircut.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Yeah. Dylan Neal, what do you call it when Batman skips church? It's a good one. I don't know. Yes, you do. What is? Christian Bill. Oh, God, almighty. of that, right? They got the ring.
Starting point is 01:05:06 They'll find something. Armada. Can I sign Mike to be a guest for goofball show? Yeah, Mike would be great than goofball show. What's goofballs? Perfect. What's goofballs you have? That's it.
Starting point is 01:05:55 You'd be perfect on that show. That's the fucking Colombo-wise. Excuse me. We've been having like the conversation. We did our first episode back last week. So, um, when did I drop that show? You drop it on Thursday. I think I dropped on Thursday. Is that the only show you two are doing right now with you? Yeah, because it has kind of, it has nothing to do with this.
Starting point is 01:06:15 Movies or anything, you're just kind of being shooting the shit. It's like I said if we do, God, I said if we do 3,000 or 4,000 views will be happy. He did 5,000 last week. That's perfect. Uh, Nathan Drake, Roker said on the hot mic that he likes the Hobbit movies better than the Lord of the Rings. That's crazy talk. Maybe one of the hottest. He's always said that. He's, he gets these fucking take sometimes. You're just like, what are you talk? You talk. talking about. It is. That's,
Starting point is 01:06:36 it's, that's pretty crazy. Armada. Mike, if you were in the pit, would you rather be a doc or a patient? Maybe it's a patient who got affected by the Sweeney soap. My balls are all inflamed and shit. I can't walk.
Starting point is 01:06:49 And you have to admit like what you did. I'd rather be a doc. Like Sean, I don't know. I got a, Hatsuo, he came in at the end of the season there. Man,
Starting point is 01:07:01 the character like that was fucking awesome. I got to get into that show, Huh. Dude, man. You got to get it. It's so good. Right now I'm watching Tulsa King. So when I finish Tulsa King.
Starting point is 01:07:12 Dylan Neal. The Hobbit movies are what Lord of the Rings would have been if Peter Jackson had accessed that level of CGI in 1999, sadly. I like the Hobbit movies, but in no way are they better. Agreed. Yeah, it's the same thing. It's like the George Lucas thing. When you have more access to money and everything, you overdo it.
Starting point is 01:07:29 If you watch the Lord of the Rings, I mean, what are they, 25 years old now? You can't tell. You cannot tell those movies are so damn good. It's weird. Someone made a good point. They were talking like, why is CGI so much worse now? Because back then, you had time to make the movie. Like, look at Pirates of the Caribbean, the Black Pearl,
Starting point is 01:07:49 or the second one with Davey Jones. Davy Jones, like, that looks better than anything that's out there today. They overdo it sometimes now. They just overdo it. But they just also had time. Like, they didn't have a release window. They had to hit, and they let the film. makers make the damn room.
Starting point is 01:08:06 They said release windows, but maybe not, maybe that, not that kind of pressure on. Who knows? Nathan Drake, I don't know about Circus as a director. Mowgli wasn't good. I didn't see it, so I can't, I can't speak on it. Simon Selection. Clearly, you didn't know the name. Mike, loving the T-shirt. Would you like to see a reboot, a Remo? If so, who would you like to play him?
Starting point is 01:08:28 And Chin, Chin, have you read any of the books? In your incredible. Chin, no, I am better than that. first of all, awesome reference there at the end. I've read the books. I have. They're interesting. They're very,
Starting point is 01:08:41 very satirical. But honestly, my first reaction is Bernthal. But he reminds, it's because he reminds me so much of Fred Ward. Great call. But he's, Remo,
Starting point is 01:08:53 they always wanted him. He was like an American James Bond. That was kind of like the producer's pitch, but like he's so gruff. It's just because he reminds me of a young Fred Ward. but I think he would play him except John Bernthel. He would be, and if you got it, like, I'm kind of glad people haven't rediscovered this movie
Starting point is 01:09:11 because if you did and you realize that it's an American actor playing an Asian character with makeup, they would cancel that, try to cancel that movie. Yeah, this too, I was. But it's like, hey, when I was growing up, I had no idea that the guy was in Asian. No idea. But I think you get Bernthal with an Asian actor
Starting point is 01:09:28 that's like a great chemistry between the two of them that's goal. If we ever get a chance to interview John Burnt, though, we've got to bring that up. 100%. Nathan Drake, remember that sex scene from the specials. Is that in the shower? I haven't seen it movie in so long. I think it's coming to 4K because I really want to pick it up. Specialist? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:46 That filmed in Miami, filmed right around where I used to live. Wow. That's Stallone, right? And Stallone, James Woods. Oh, God, watching Rod Steiger trying to be a Colombian drug lord, and then you got Eric Roberts as his son. I haven't seen that a super. Dude, man, it's good.
Starting point is 01:10:01 Go Pal. I was just talking about the specials, one of my best friends who watched that back in high school. I mean, I've got to revisit that one. I haven't seen it. That's another thing. You know, Winston's ever seen Commando.
Starting point is 01:10:11 I'm going to watch Commando. Oh, come on now, man. He's now just, yeah, go, like, yeah, you and I probably the same age because I remember it was in high school for me, too. Go, pal. We were talking about how inappropriate it was for his little brother who was like eight or nine at the time.
Starting point is 01:10:25 Man, I got to revisit this movie. Salmanella. I like what you did there. Salmanilla. Gifted five memberships. Thank you. Great time to remember. Really great time. Especially now we are, I mean, you'll have the Superman unedited up on the channel really
Starting point is 01:10:41 soon. We're going to put the Alien Earth non-edited up there. We got live streams, a bunch of other things. So okay, so we gotta, we gotta stop doing this. You can't keep repeating the same shit every
Starting point is 01:10:57 day. You just can't. Please stop. All right. comments. All right, let's see. So next one is Jake S. Why has Spike Jones not made a movie in 12 years? I never understand those big breaks. Look, this is one of those things. It's, you'd have to ask him, you know? Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't answer to that.
Starting point is 01:11:20 I'm not sure. Was the last one he did where the wild things are? Yeah. I think so. No, was it that long ago? Maybe. I don't know. Maybe so. Okay. Let's see. Go, pal. Aside from the shower. I remember James Wood triangulating Stallone's location by just saying triangulating one, two, three, there he is. I mean, I have to go and check that out.
Starting point is 01:11:41 I have to go and check that out. All right, let's see. It's been a long time since I've seen that movie. I probably, was it 93 when that movie came out? Yeah, I think so. 94, maybe. Maybe, okay. Trey Porter.
Starting point is 01:11:52 I checked out the highest to lowest last night. I thought it was a good flick. That's the new Denzel and Spike Lee. ASAP Rocky and Denzel in a really good face-to-face scene. 3.5 out of four for me. I mean, look, the fact those guys working together and it's awesome. So I'm curious to see that one for sure. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:11 Right now, Mike 26, as we're getting closer to the end here, I am two-fly cam. Are you both out on Star Wars besides Andrews excellence? Not out. I think I'm more in than Mike is. I'm just more, I'm way more skeptical than I have been ever. Yeah. Did you hear the news yesterday what we talked about, Mike?
Starting point is 01:12:34 It was Simon Kinberg had some comments that he wants to make his new trilogy more in the vein of Andor. Okay. Yeah. Again, that's my reaction to Star Wars. Anytime I hear something now, I'm kind of like, I need something good again. Yeah, prove it. Something concrete for me to go, okay, here we go. Yeah, it's like, prove it.
Starting point is 01:12:54 And so, yeah, I just think, Andor, and we were not, Mike and I talk about this all of the time when they brought up Andrew. I didn't want to see Andor. I didn't care. What the hell they have? Who cares about Cassian and Indoor? And it has nothing to do with anticipation for characters. Look at Obi-Wan. He and I were like, this is going to be it.
Starting point is 01:13:10 This is going to be the one. We were like stoked at Star Wars celebration. Like this. We thought we were going to get from Obi-Wan what we got with Andor and vice versa. Yeah, 100%. We thought. And then so, you know, if they can continue to surprise us with that like Andor, then I'll be in more. But The Mandalorian and Grogo.
Starting point is 01:13:31 Yeah. I don't know about that, man. We'll see. I am two-fly cam. Nathan Drake over Bond, over Indy, over Born, over Hunt. Relics, move on. Stop that. I don't think you need insults there, but I will say that Nathan Drake needs another shot. He didn't even have a shot. That movie, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. Someone recently posted a clip from that, and I forgot about it. It was like a scene in a bar where Drake, Tom Holland's doing, like, parkour.
Starting point is 01:14:01 It's a different. we're like, but it was like this like breakdance move. I'm just like, that's not Nathan Drake. It reminds me of solo, meaning that the movie's not bad. It's a fun movie. It's just not, it's not his movie. Slap a different character's name on, create a different character for him, and you've got a fun movie.
Starting point is 01:14:21 Mark Wahlberg has nowhere near trying to be sully. It's like you can do, uncharted should be a TV show. It should be a streaming show. for like HBO or whatever too. I really hope that they try to do a version of it. Scrap the sequel that they're going to do. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:40 Speaking of Bond, by the way, and Tom Holland, has that, has that rumor come back up again? I haven't seen it. I think that was one of those just piss people off. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:14:48 I love slippers. Good, me too. The guys who play Mary and Pip are in a show called Eat the World and they go to E. McKelland's pub in London. I love that. I've had, I've had Dom on this show
Starting point is 01:14:58 quite a few times. Oh, two or three times. Um, great guy. I like Dom and Monahan a lot. So, and they, they've been buddies for very long time, clearly. So I'd like to see, I'd like to see that because they're, they're funny, they're fun dudes. Uh, Joey Pedrus, rewatch never any story recently thought that would remake, uh, would make for a cool remake thoughts.
Starting point is 01:15:19 I'm shocked they haven't remade. Now that to me, for some reason, I could see it make it work as a remake. I don't know why. I don't know why. I don't know why some do and some don't. for me. Like, Bayes Gainesstick, I'm like, but Neverending Story. Yeah, you could expand, though. You could expand on
Starting point is 01:15:38 the world. It's such a fantasy, maybe, yeah, yeah. They spare on Fantasia, because that's, that's, I love Never Running Story. I love it. It's a short movie, and it doesn't have a lot of detail on Fantasia. You can do a lot more of fantasy, a lot more than a tray. So, you do a lot. And Neveran story, is it?
Starting point is 01:15:55 I'm trying to remember, is it, do they create like, this is a story in a book? So basically what happens is, Bastion, moves to this town with his dad, he goes to school. On this way, he's getting chased by these bullies. Right, right, right. And he gets this book and the guy basically tells him, this is not a normal book.
Starting point is 01:16:14 And so as he's reading, he basically doesn't go to class and he goes and he's, and he's reading the book. And as he's reading it, we see it. But it's all happening at the same time he's reading it. So here you go, filmmakers. You do this. You get the act of the play Bastion and you get him to give this book to a new kid and it's like this book, there's a new chapter rating to be raised.
Starting point is 01:16:32 and that's for you. See, that works. If you're going to reboot it, sure. But if you're going to do it. No, not a reboot. Don't reboot it is a reboot. No, you have bashing the actor the same character. That's reboot.
Starting point is 01:16:44 What's up? That's reboot. Remake is you don't think it should. Okay, reboot, yeah. But keep it in the same thing. It's, you know, the never-ending story, the next chapter. There you go. So normally I'm calling for reboots and continuations and sequels of that of that nature.
Starting point is 01:16:57 I actually think it's someone could be remade. I actually think it could be remade and expand it. with the new Atreou and everybody else. But we'll see. Nah. Mike, you getting the 4K spawn? It's tough because it's made by Arrow
Starting point is 01:17:09 and their special features are so damn good. But I don't think there's anything redeeming in that movie. Like, oh yeah, I think Arrow they just did Barnes & Noble. They got a great sale. It's like a half off right now. I picked up Conan and Cobra.
Starting point is 01:17:26 Yeah, man. I don't know if you remember this. You probably don't. But I remember watching HBO Spawn and coming into your The cartoon? Yeah, and talking to you and Nate and Shane, what the hell
Starting point is 01:17:40 was his last name? Who was Shane Mezner? Yes, and Shane Mezner and you guys were. A little brother. Yeah, and you guys were all in the room and I was like, you guys got to watch this show. You got to, and I had just watched it. It was so phenomenal. I remember those, I just had to tell the first people that I found. It was so good.
Starting point is 01:17:55 And what did I say? He's like, hey, hey, shit nuts. You're blocking my screen and I'm playing Golden Eye. Get out of the way. At that point, maybe. Yeah. You just like a zombie. No, you were dressed up as a Jedi. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:18:08 Paige Goddrey. I love Dalton Bond. He should do a dark night, old Bond style, and I think that Holt should be Bond. Mike, you're awesome. Have a great day. Thank you, Paige. That's amazing.
Starting point is 01:18:17 Thanks, Paige. Yeah. But yeah. I mean, maybe. That's a, you should, did you watch, I forget, did you watch 1923? I haven't.
Starting point is 01:18:28 I know. Is that another one of the Yellowstones? Yeah, but I'll tell you. Yeah, I know, I know, man. You know why you should watch it? Two reasons. One, well, Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford are in it. That's why I'll give you three reasons.
Starting point is 01:18:42 Season two is Timothy Dalton is the, is the villain. Was it a Cal Baron? Robert Baron? Oh, he's pretty great. He might even mean in season one also. And then he is in season one. And then he's, and also Brendan Scunar, who is the guy that everybody's rumoring for Batman. So you should, you should watch.
Starting point is 01:19:01 You don't have to know anything. I'm going to. I'm going to. You need to know anything about Yellowstone to watch. I know. I got to. I know. Nathan Drey, who cast on charter,
Starting point is 01:19:09 Walberg is Sully? Come on. Well, you know what happened there. Oh, this is, you know, everything that was wrong with this movie,
Starting point is 01:19:15 because I know what you're going to say. He was cast as Nathan. He was supposed to play Nathan Drake. And then he got, then he aged out of the role. And so they're like, oh, well,
Starting point is 01:19:25 he's still a producer on it. Why doesn't he play Sully? And it's, and I can raise my hand. And I could have raised my hand. because he doesn't look anything like Sully. The fact that you just think they're interchangeable, that shows you exactly what these producers
Starting point is 01:19:37 and this entire team were like totally wrong for the movie. Totally. That's why Sully and Nate works because they're vastly different people. It's completely different. It was very poorly cast. Paul Hitchcock meant to rent Rima Williams, but actually got Riemer Williams,
Starting point is 01:19:53 the backdoor venture begins. Yikes. I hate to see that film's Icepack budget. That's really good. All right, Armada. Vanessa Kirby for the next bond girl and basic instinct. I mean, I would,
Starting point is 01:20:07 her character in Mission Impossible is similar to a bond type character. Yeah, but the, I think she should stay away from a bond. Yeah. That's fine. Mike, you are around,
Starting point is 01:20:17 let's see. You're 20, 20 away from playing, 20 away from time. It ain't happening. Ethan Higgins, a long-time viewer, first-time chatter.
Starting point is 01:20:28 Thank you so much. Love the show and Mike for the win. I know it's real. What do you think Manda will do for box office? I think it'll do okay. I think it'll do okay. I don't know to be on. Well, again,
Starting point is 01:20:38 I'm not the box office person on this panel by any stretch. I don't know, man. I just, I would have thought Fantastic Four would have done better than it's doing. I don't, I don't know, man, because when's it come out next? It's not even this Christmas, right?
Starting point is 01:20:54 It's next May. So here's what it's going for. What is growing for? it's the first Star Wars movie since 2019 to come out in the theaters. Okay. And so that's, that's part one. It's huge.
Starting point is 01:21:08 It's, it's, it's, it's, it's the, that's the one character that crossed over into mainstream since, uh, 2019 is one of the first, one of the only characters that crossed over to mainstream and everybody
Starting point is 01:21:20 knew it from maybe they're out, baby Yoda, and they're going to market. That's why they're calling it in Leroyan and Grogo, because they're marketing with him. Um, the budget's not going to be as big as other Star Wars movies. because it's essentially the fourth season of the show,
Starting point is 01:21:34 and they're trying to do the Moana special to it. It's like, oh, this is, don't make it a TV show, making a movie. So I think it'll make a profit. Now, how big of a profit, I don't know, but I do think it'll make a profit. Yeah, I can't see it not making a profit. Yeah, but I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:21:52 Christopher Bickner, my hesitation with Kinberg Star Wars trilogy is that Kinberg is writing it. He has a good track record as a producer, not a good record as a writer. But is he writing the whole thing? is he writing it with other people? Is he, you know, is he collaborating with anybody else? Or is he just writing the outline? Or is he writing the actual scripts? If he's just writing the actual outline of the story and then they have someone come in to write the screenplay?
Starting point is 01:22:14 I don't know. You might know the answer to that, but I don't. Caught, let's see, Armada. Caught stealing movie excitement. I go see it next week. I'm pretty excited for it. I think it was on my top 10 most anticipated, but I'm looking forward to it for sure. I'm sick of the trailers, so I'm excited for it to come out so these trailers can stop being shown.
Starting point is 01:22:35 I don't know if I watched the whole trailer. Every time I go to the movie, it's there. Oh, see that and the burn after, not burn after reading the burn after reading. No, the, the, we later to Caprio one. Oh, yeah, I want to see that one too. Eric Kirby, Christian, which show did you like more, Silverhawks and Thundercats? Thunder or the Barbarian is underrated. Thunder is underrated.
Starting point is 01:22:53 Hey, Mike, F the haters, stay yourself, sir. You're cool. Thank you. Thundercats over Silverhawks for me. I'll say Silver Hawks. Did you? Okay. Yeah, Silver Hawks.
Starting point is 01:23:02 Just to be combative? No, I like the Silver Oaks better. All right, don't be a dick. I am two-fly camp. Please rank your top three fandoms. Mine, Star Wars, DC, aliens.
Starting point is 01:23:13 Top three as far as how they behave? Or as far as like, just... Yeah, your favorites. Favorite, wait, but there's a difference. Of how they behave, I'm going to, I'll rank them differently. Where does he say behave in that? Because fandoms, that's...
Starting point is 01:23:29 Put your glasses on. That's the whole part of the fandoms, though. It's like how they- Oh, you're saying like how they, how they treat other people. It's like you're- Oh. So that's what I mean.
Starting point is 01:23:38 So I'm going to say, as far as how they treat other people, I'm going to go, oof, alien is number one, easily. I'll probably go DCs two and Star Wars three, but not by much. Do I have to pick those three or can I pick three new ones? No, you got to pick the three that he asked. Okay, then as far as who's the nicest?
Starting point is 01:23:59 yeah we're gonna do it that way i'll do aliens then star wars then dc yeah my favorite my favorite fandom though of all of all things is one piece my favorite fandom easily mine the james bond band fandom i've never met i've never met like this that just cancerous version of it dude i'm telling you i've said this so many times but like when i did one piece i was i was so used to like the game the Thrones fandom or DC or Star Wars or Marvel. There's like these awful, awful human beings that come in and like, if you don't know things, they're just like complete dick. I was completely expecting that one piece.
Starting point is 01:24:38 What a loving group of people. I loved the one piece group. Love them. Christopher Brickner. Kenberg trilogy is meant to be the cornerstone of the new saga in Star Wars. Hypothetically, if trilogy is bad and fails, what should Lucasfilm do? Sell it. To who?
Starting point is 01:24:54 Apple. But it shouldn't be Lucas so much at Disney. I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't know where they go. I don't know. I am too fly camera. They're shooting Groga movie and volume.
Starting point is 01:25:07 Big yikes. Well, the good news for Astoka is apparently they're not shooting it. They're shooting in different locations. That was encouraging when I heard that. But I think Favro kind of loves the volume. And that's probably how they're going to cut cost. So I would assume a lot of it is in the volume. What do you think, Mike?
Starting point is 01:25:24 I think I'm, yeah. Because considering we never got any leaked pictures or. anything from any shooting location. Like, I think they were in those studios down at Manhattan Beach or whatever they were and shot the whole movie there. If you're going to make it for super, super cheap, it's probably the way to do it. I bet Pedro Pascal came in for a week to do some scenes without a helmet on. That's it.
Starting point is 01:25:45 And that's it. All right. So you got 17 to go before you tie. Unfortunately, we've hit the end. So what we can do at the moment is you can do a sign off. And maybe if they want to keep you going and get you to that 17 to, Tyroaker they can do it. If not, Chris Carr will have a chance to repeat tomorrow. Now, do that, does everyone know what's happening on Thursday then, too, or no? Is that announced?
Starting point is 01:26:09 I don't think so. No, you can announce it, though. You want to announce it? Because that's probably, that's a good, that's a good threat to, uh, to Chris Carr. As I say, you got Roxy and, and Steph together on Thursday. Yep. Come on, man. That's the, the deck is stacked against that. The World Grove is a united deck deck. That's like putting Roxy together and I on a DC heavy week like we did when that we had that two week run. It was all DC is like you put your you got a you got your fantasy football team and you build it out and you get the two rural girls on a day later in the week. And now Roxy and Steph on a Thursday is going to be big.
Starting point is 01:26:44 But Chris Carr approved you don't count her out of here. Hey, I'll tell you this. It's anyone's game. Sure there are people that always seem to be winning and they go on runs like capes and I remember with you for a while. I was like, fuck this Friday bullshit. Right. Friday the story's dropping this and that.
Starting point is 01:26:59 But then they had a. dry run after that. So it's, it is a fickle beast. These questions like today. Well, Stephanie, not doing, not do much for my ego today. But has a head one. Look, you got some more come in. It's not over yet, Mike. Mild Manor Kamakner with a very nice one. Thank you. Hey, guys, hope it was well. Saw weapons. Top five movie the summer. Same. The scene you were talking about with Brolin happened at night. Yes. If that was the scene, I die laughing. Yes, that was the scene. Also, that old lady had some stamina. I laugh so hard. Yeah, I love that move. I can't wait to see it again. I actually want to see it in the theater.
Starting point is 01:27:29 Hey, so this old lady that they're trying to make the prequel, this character, Amy Madigan. Is that the actress for Uncle Buck? Yes. Okay, because she was in Streets of Fire too, because I just found, and we could talk about this later, somewhat of the chat. The movie, have you ever seen the movie Streets of Fire with Michael Perret and Diane Lane? No. I've always heard about it, and then I read the synopsis. Like, why am I not into this movie?
Starting point is 01:27:54 What a fucking awesome movie. But Amy Madigan is his sidekick character. Amy Madigan's great. She was also in twins, wasn't she? Wasn't she the, I think she was in twins. I don't think it's twins. It's Uncle Bach. No, kindergarten. Kindergarten cop. Okay, okay. That's what it was, right? Let me see. Let me make sure. And that's, I have to find out if Winston's ever seen that one, too. Probably hasn't. Probably not. Kiddingarten cop or twins. See, um, was it, um, was it Amy Matt. No, no, it wasn't. Pamela Reid. It wasn't Amy Madigan. I was wrong. Amy and Madigan, though, had a run in the 80s and 90s. She did. She did. Yes. Okay, so this is Joey Pedges, who says, I'm a rookie bond fan, Mike. Where should I start? We should get Mike's book.
Starting point is 01:28:35 Yeah, that's a good start. There you go. Look at you plug in it. I mean, honestly, they don't really, except for the Craig ones, they really don't follow a continuity. They're light, loose continuity. Go from the beginning, man.
Starting point is 01:28:51 Doctor no. But if you want to get locked in, go casino, Royal. Christopher Brickner, John Favre writing and directing the Mandalorian and Grogo. gives me confidence in the film. Fabro is a great record as a writer and director. That is true. And he already wrote the whole season and then was asked to condense it into a movie. So he probably did a pretty good job doing it. He knows the responsibility of being the first one back in the theater.
Starting point is 01:29:14 So I mean, yeah, I have, I'm hoping it's more in the vein of like seasons one and two. So we'll see. Yeah. Dylan, Dylan Neil, Mike for the win. Come on, chat. Well, he's at 47 right now. He needs, again, he needs 10 to Tyroca. Come on, guys. Bobby's the best, by the way. I always talk how great Bobby is. Bobby flew in from California to come to the live show with
Starting point is 01:29:39 from California. Yeah, he came in to see me and Sam. Damn, buddy. And I hope you had a great time in New York, my friend. Bobby Jackson, hey, Christian, good seeing you, the live show. Same here, my friend. By the way, the main actress in Alien Earth is Sydney Chandler, the daughter of Kylo Chandler. She's really good in it.
Starting point is 01:29:54 Are you watching Alien Earth, Mike? Not yet. I'm going to get it. I'm going to see. It's good. Is it weekly releases or are they dropped it all? They dropped the first two last week and now they're doing weekly. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, I'll watch it. I like aliens. I like the show a lot. I am two-flight camp.
Starting point is 01:30:11 Harlov has the fix in. Roxy and Steph, come on. Just kidding. I mean, that's going to be, Roxy and Steph to look, Steph has not had a win in months. So this could be, she's got a good shot. If you're, if you're, so here's, if you're Vegas odds this week and you've got Chris Carr coming off a 177 win, Roxy. Now what was, okay, let me ask you this. What was the closest off of 177th, Chris Carr? Like, who was close?
Starting point is 01:30:34 Roxy and I? Caps and Cowles. What were they at? I think they, well, no, no, it was either, it was, I think you guys, you and Caps were on the same, same area. I think we had like 120 or 130 last year. She won by a healthy margin. She won by a lot.
Starting point is 01:30:49 Yeah, yeah. So what was, was there any specific topics? You had 83. Oh, God. And she destroyed us. destroyed everybody last week. Was there a deep news thing that dropped? Like what was the... And it's a Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:31:01 People were just sick of her losing. She, it was Johnny Depp had talks of coming back to pirates. The episode itself on the replay only did like, you know, 10,000 views, but she, people just want, people love it. Power of the people, they say. The power of the people. That's it. Legend
Starting point is 01:31:17 MM 600. Mike, you rock. What did you guys think about Fantastic Four? I really liked it. I'll tell you, I want it. Now that I've seen Superman, Now I want to see Fantastic 4 a second time to see if I still hold to liking Fantastic 4 more. I really, really liked that. I didn't love it just yet. Yeah. And I think the reason I didn't love it, I wanted about 20 more minutes in the movie.
Starting point is 01:31:41 There are some, anytime it gets really kind of like personal and the scenes between two humans talking, which could have gotten some more meat, they cut. And you're just like, oh, there could have been so much more like, and I know they did that for time and I know they were I saw the studio getting interference in them but I really enjoyed it. That's a movie that I'll pick up and we'll just have on in the background at home just to watch. It's just a I love the world. I love the world they created. The CTB channel, Christian, I need to see Sam's full reaction to Peacemakers opening dance routine.
Starting point is 01:32:11 Mute the music if you have to. Well, I'll put the non-edited up for sure because we're going to watch. I mean, I think that what I might do is finished Lord of the Rings and then just watch peacemaker season one and two with Sam. And that's probably what I'm going to wind up doing. That'll probably be the next two things. I wonder if I could binge one before. I don't know if I've had enough time, but.
Starting point is 01:32:32 I don't know. I'm too fly cam. With no catwoman and Batman 2, do we see Vicky Vale? Is Vicki Vail? Was that an original character? Yeah. Yeah, it was.
Starting point is 01:32:42 Okay. They have got so many more female characters. Like, I don't see them giving them a love interest and a sequel, Catwoman's not in it. I have the, I feel the focus on. the character. Okay. Christopher Bickner right now,
Starting point is 01:32:57 Mike, you're at 50, only seven away right now. Come on, guys. We can do this. Christopher Brickner. Conner, Sean Connery, Aaron, had decent multi-film continuity at the time in slow building up Bond's fight with Spector leading up to the fight with Blowfield. I mean, they all, I mean, yeah, because you had the same kind of M and Q once he got in there. Like, I mean, they're never not like, hey, this is a completely different film, even from Connery to more, to Dalton and all those guys.
Starting point is 01:33:25 They kept some of the characters of the same, but it was never like Casino Royale, where it was like you had to see the previous ones and they built. Someone challenged, was always, someone challenging, Vicki Vale was actually from the comics.
Starting point is 01:33:40 Pre the 89 movie, really? I mean, hey, I could be wrong. I don't know. I mean, because he had like Silver St. Cloud and Julie Madison. Okay, I'm wrong then. That's right. All right.
Starting point is 01:33:55 50. Still pretty impressive, Mike, here today on this. You tried. You tried. But I think Tuesday is your day in general. Roxy is now turned into a utility player on Tuesdays. There's where you're going to have the set day on Tuesday. Because those are your best.
Starting point is 01:34:12 So maybe Roxy will be back next Tuesday. Maybe not. We shall see. But for now, Mike, where can they find you? Depending on what mood I'm in. You see a different version of me. me on Twitter every single day. So that's pretty much it. I'm like Two-Face out there. You never know
Starting point is 01:34:27 flip of the coin you're going to get with me. It's about as true of a statement as you're going to get. 51. Let's see. We got what's your favorite Bond movie, both of you guys. So Mike, for me, it's the Daniel Craig, what's the, what's the one, Harvey of Birding? Skyfall. Oh, and Harbour and Bredemann F-1. Oh, my God. Rubin.
Starting point is 01:34:47 Yeah. Fuck, he's so good. I want to go see it again tonight. I love it so much. I want to go back tonight. You can watch it an apple tomorrow if you want to do. I am my favorite. Let me answer my bond question. Go ahead, Billy. Go ahead, Ralph.
Starting point is 01:34:59 Living Daylights. Give me the all. Living Daylights. Good one. I am two-fly cam. Favorite three movies of the year so far. F-1, sinners and weapons.
Starting point is 01:35:09 Mission Impossible, F-1, Superman. All right. Not bad. Not bad at all. Oh, no, we've got another one coming in. So Christopher Brickner says, Vicki, Vail was created in 19- I stand.
Starting point is 01:35:22 Corrected. Corrected. Yeah, man. Three, Mike. And he four. You four. Christopher, I am stand corrected.
Starting point is 01:35:29 I am not a man whose ego can take a hit like that. I'm not a comic book historian by any means. But there we go. I stand corrected. Oh, here we go.
Starting point is 01:35:39 Joey Pedrus. Here we go. Making a run. So I am just waiting. I'm waiting for, I got to get some word back from the director. And then, like I said,
Starting point is 01:35:50 once I get the word back from the director as far as the, I need the minimum on what they think they can do the pilot for, and then we're going to set the goals. So the answer is ASAP. I just, I'm waiting. Christopher Bricner, I'm at 1948. Oh, you're terrible, Christopher, terrible.
Starting point is 01:36:09 You didn't know your history. Come on, Jesus. No, I'm kidding. The CCB channel. Nice shirt, Mike. I love that movie. It's the best, man. It's releasing on 4K soon. Dylan Neil, get Mike Pass Roker for that awful Hobbit
Starting point is 01:36:21 versus Lord of the Rings. Hey, hey, hey, what do I say? You want to see what you're going to? Bullshit. Hey, hey, hey, check him in the hobbit. He turned into, he turned into writing. Broca. Hey, hey, hey.
Starting point is 01:36:32 Come on. Come on. Come on. To describe to the, uh, John Roker's down. Well, you know, fucking bullshit. What did you see the hobbits run around? Yeah, that's the one. I mean, who leads those hobbits in the first person, right?
Starting point is 01:36:44 Be the, be the lady outlaw. Fuck those hobbits. Hey, hey. I mean, come on. I stand behind this. I didn't say this when my friend came up this because, you know, he calls this lady the lady outlaw she should have been called misdemeanor what a miss he did misdemeanor caller john the outlaw roker and misdemeanor that's the set right there that's it come on he's roker
Starting point is 01:37:05 roker jocker john roker you know it's out like out owl owl owl rooker's brother anyway seen snider what's like i have to hurry up to hey that x schneider throwing showing up in his panties oh what's on no respect oh i love that john It's getting a Ronnie Dangerfield. It's him now. I just subscribe to my channel. I mean, come on. All right.
Starting point is 01:37:27 You got no Latin people in the show. No respect. Come on. That's good. Legend MM 600. Who's your favorite Power Ranger? Mine's the green one. Whoever's Serena Vincent play?
Starting point is 01:37:41 Serena Vincent. My friend, Serena, who the fuck is Serena Vincent? Who the pink ranger? She's a very good actress. Serena Vincent? Yeah. I don't think that's her.
Starting point is 01:37:51 name, pal. Would you like to bet me everything that you own? So the Pink Ranger in the 2017 I don't know. I don't know. No, not in the 2007 movie, the old school one. Oh, I'll bet you any amount of money on that, my friend, because it's Amy
Starting point is 01:38:07 Joe Johnson. Whatever. I don't know what ranger she was. Serena Ratos, what? How did you get Vatos out of Serena Vincent? Because I'm a Vato, that's why. Let's see. Ranger. She was the yellow ranger. Ah, there you go. bet me everything. The steak dinner, you fuck hard.
Starting point is 01:38:23 You know, you idiot face. I said, I said that I don't know what color the range. You said she's the pink and you'll bet anything. You still owe me a fucking steak dinner, you're the stupidest person that ever lives. You are. You're a tough guy. You're a fucking tough guy. So 59 somehow you did it.
Starting point is 01:38:42 Did I beat him? Today. Yeah, you're going to get wrecked by somebody soon. No, I probably won't get wrecked. I'm probably going to win the week. Let's keep positive here. 59? we'll see but 59
Starting point is 01:38:54 60 just kidding 60 uh my cocaine sticks in my head when you said Michael Kane thanks for that's right
Starting point is 01:39:02 Michael Kane Michael Kane I'm frozen now you've got to say my name if you say it very slowly you could say that you say Michael Kane but Michael Kane
Starting point is 01:39:11 Michael Caine Michael Coyne they're like some of their bugger sugar where are you what did you leave me alone oh I lost you Lasha there you are You froze fucker
Starting point is 01:39:23 Leave me love wish him all of my head of cocaine. Here you go. He literally said whatever Ranger Serena was. Thank you. Come on now. Don't back him up. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 01:39:37 Who is that? Serena, who? Vincent. She was in Cabin fever. She was in my, she was in grasping at straws. She played my ex-girlfriend? Serena, Vincent. I'll have to look her up.
