Disney ditches a star brand on the Hulu app and Wednesday season two, the Rotten Tomato score has been revealed as the first reviews land. We'll discuss that and more on the show today, this new start time with myself and Steph Sabra. Let's get into it, ladies and gentlemen, it's Christian Arloff Show.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Here we go. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the Christian Arloff show here today on this Thursday. Joining me on the show, as always, Steph Sabra. Hello, Steph. Hi, good morning. I like the plants. I like what's going on back there. it's like the setup is just getting better and better and making mike look worse and worse every day
Starting point is 00:02:12 it was his his internet was a disaster on two said oh really i was a disaster such a great disaster but a disaster kevin smet's text me and he's like yeah just tuned into your show and he said it's just i was dying he goes yeah i call i called his internet the gift that keeps on giving no it really is it's like the best bit ever that also wears down on his psychosis oh he it's It drives them nuts because the amount of times the thing just freezes and just leaves them in disarray. It's it really is the best. I need to go check that out. It's good.
Starting point is 00:02:48 So we have some stuff to talk about here today. Steph Sabra is with me, of course. And we are going to be, well, first of all, the new time, I talk to you about it. We look like it's going to be kind of a morning show for you guys on the West Coasters and for the East Coasters, just as you're getting into London. lunchtime and settling into lunch, you can, you can listen to the show. But are you, are you, you're a morning person, I feel. Yeah, I am now. Well, for the past, may, almost two years, I've become a morning. I used to be like 9 a.m. wake up and now I'm like 7 a.m. wake up. And I'm trying to get to six because you just get more done. And there's like the writing juices in the morning.
Starting point is 00:03:31 You're not wrong. You're not wrong. Yeah, you know, so I told you, you know, obviously you know, about the gym journey that I've been on since like January, February. And so my buddy, Chris, who will be starting to react on the channel, he's going to start doing some stuff here. So he put me on this really good routine. And the problem was, I mean, he's been working out 20 some odd, if not more years, 25 years. And so the problem was that I could, without him,
Starting point is 00:04:00 I wasn't doing the routines. I didn't, I didn't know the routines. And I was like, I got to go there. And his time, he was at 11 o'clock. 1130 really from where he could get started and sometimes even 12 so i would just get back here in time for the show and then we get and we do the 2 o'clock and i moved it because of that but now i learned all the routines so i was like you know maybe the best thing to do is go in the mornings workout in the mornings and then do the show a little earlier for everybody and then that could work i went today on step i went to the gym at like 8 30 in the morning it was the best yeah because the influencer crowd doesn't come in to like 10s That's true also, but it was, but it was, I have a little less of that out on the island, but there, but you certainly see them. But I was like, I was in there.
Starting point is 00:04:46 It was nice. The machines were open. It was like, it was great. My music gone out. Got back here in time. I had two hours to spare. So people, I saw people already asking the comments here about Sam. So Sam finally after about a week and a half, two weeks out of commission, she came in yesterday.
Starting point is 00:05:04 And we watched two back to back movies. Captain America, Brave New World, which will be up tomorrow morning. Oh, interesting. And then we watched Thunderbolts right after that. And that's going to be out on Tuesday. So we made the audible and the decision to, we're not doing Agatha right away. So people are going to be upset with us, but we're not doing Agatha right. We're going to do Agatha.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I think we're going to do Agatha closer to when Vision Quest comes out, whenever that comes out. Because it's going to tie into that a little bit more. I think it's connected to that universe. So we're going to wait and we'll do Wanda Vision right before that. Because it doesn't tie into anything else leading up to it because we really wanted to get to some other movies because she's coming in tomorrow. We're starting Lord of the Rings. We're done. She's done with the MCU movie wise and everything too.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Are you doing extended cut? No reactor does extended cut. It's too hard. I've never heard of a reactor doing extended cut. I guess maybe it's not even as watched on the internet. it's four hours long that's the problem you would you would absolutely have to um you would have to split it into two videos which is part one but that's not my biggest problem i don't mind splitting into two videos people are going to watch it my my problem is it's hard enough getting sam in here
Starting point is 00:06:23 in general but like to get her in for i got to get her for three hours tomorrow you know i got to get her for three three and then we're going to because we're going to do the hobbit movies we're going to do the we're going to do the trilogy we're going to do hobbit and then step i was asking her these these movies last night that i had and i'm like let me see if she's seen any of these right and i said have you ever seen tombstone she's like no she never saw tombstone right and i don't know if you've ever seen tombstone but i don't think i've seen tombstone so she never saw tombstone and i said okay well mallrats she never saw mall rats so that's fun she didn't see wicked so i was like okay great we'll watch wicked together for sure i was getting so excited because all the
Starting point is 00:07:02 movies that she hasn't seen now. So we're going to watch Wicked. That's perfect because you have a few months for Wicked. Just wait until right before. Yeah. She didn't see the second Beetlejuice. She hasn't seen the planet of the apes movie. She saw one of them.
Starting point is 00:07:18 She never. Caesar for life. I know. Caesar die hard. I know. She never saw signs. The Chamelon movie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Mulan Rouge. She never saw. She never saw the. Classic. Yeah. was a really good one she never saw i didn't ask him that one but uh a bit she never saw the abyss i was oh because that one um okay aliens she never saw that oh my gosh no i know um so there's like there's tons of things that we're gonna watch together that's just some she never saw i was
Starting point is 00:07:52 asking her about the nolan movies and which nolan movies have you seen she remembers like heath ledger but doesn't remember the movie then that's it that's the only any other nolan movies is it was Memento? She's like, I don't know. Memento? I was just about to say Memento. Never saw Memento, never saw prestige,
Starting point is 00:08:09 never saw Inception. Wow. She's like, I think I saw Interstellar. I go, Matthew McConnor and Ann Hathaway. And she's like, oh, no,
Starting point is 00:08:17 I've never seen it. Oh my gosh. Yeah, you guys have a whole year. You have a whole year booked up. We're going to have an absolute field day. It's going to be so amazing to do. So,
Starting point is 00:08:29 Um, yeah, but anyways, for people asking for as far as times go, you got to get on schedule with it, though, guys. It's funny because on Monday, we did it in the morning. There was like 1,400 viewers watching. Then we jumped to, we went back to Tuesday, uh, the 2 p.m. time because they've got to, because Roxy schedule, she, you know, she's got so much going on with, with, uh, real rejects and all that. And I told her, I want to make sure that we are doing stuff. Um, I, if we have to keep it too, when we keep it to, too, because I don't want to lose rocks. So we'll figure that.
Starting point is 00:08:58 Wednesday, Chris Carr was on and there was like, you know, it's like 500, 600 viewers. And then today we're starting slow. So it's like we're just going to get everybody used to the time. And then Friday, I think tomorrow we're going normal time, 2 p.m. Or the old time for now. But then we're going to jump to nine with those guys too. So people just got to get used to it. And once they get used to it, they know that we'll be here kind of like a morning show.
Starting point is 00:09:25 And that's it. So let's get into some of these topics. And I don't agree with that at all, Mike, at all. Let's get into this first topic. Okay. And that is the Batman part two, the shooting start date is confirmed. James Gun is going to write and direct movie in the super family. That's how I assume they're going to do a movie with Superman and Supergirl is what I would guess in that point.
Starting point is 00:09:55 but let's see. Warner Brothers Discovery has now confirmed when the Batman Part 2 will begin shooting while also teasing Superman director James Gunn's intention to write and direct a super family movie. Check it out. Wonder Brothers Discovery has been touting its recent successes and a new shareholder letter. However, it was during a call with investors that CEO David Zazlov seemingly revealed what Superman director James Gunn is working on next. James Gunn is already preparing to write the next installment in the super family. He confirmed, adding that the DC Studios co-CEO will direct
Starting point is 00:10:24 who also direct the movie. Some are speculating that Zezlav is referring to a literal superfamily movie. It's worth knowing that Gunn has repeatedly said Superman will be in his next feature, albeit not a direct Superman sequel. A Superman Supergirl team up would certainly be of interest to many fans, as with Legion of Superheroes. Gunn said he's not being in a time travel. So we wouldn't bank on that being in the works.
Starting point is 00:10:47 World's Finis also seems to be off the table. Celebrating the sex of Superman in the aforementioned lender, Superman said DC Studios universe of characters represent not only of Warner Brothers' discovery's most valuable pieces of intellectual property, but one of the most valuable assets in entertainment. In film, James Gunn is busy preparing the next installments of the DC super family, including Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, Clayface, and the next Wonder Woman. In addition, the Batman 2, 2027, is preparing to begin shooting next spring among
Starting point is 00:11:16 several other projects in development. It was recently reported that the Batman Part 2 is gearing up to start shooting early next year, but now it's official. It hopefully means we're going to start getting casting news soon, especially as rumors persist that hush will be the sequel's Big Bad. Let's see, the 10-year vision of the DC universe also includes an exciting array of television projects, including the Penguin, the upcoming new season of Peacemaker, and the debut of Lanterns in 2026.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Precise and measured way, the DC franchise will increasingly overlay across the studio's broader efforts from film and TV to consumer products, games, experiences, and social. The letter concludes. It's also been confirmed today that moving forward, Wonderbys Discovery intends to release 12 to 14 new films a year, split between 1 to 2 10 polls, 1 to 2 DC Studio films, 3 to 4 new line releases, including horror, 1 to 2 animated films, and 1 to 2 modestly budgeted original films.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Why hasn't Gunn announced his next DCU movie? He said that won't happen for any project until DC Studios has a scripted hand, so he presumably wishes to finish it before confirming his plans. Until this mystery movie takes shape, we expect Superman to next return to the big screen in 2026 Supergirls movie. There was a lot in that letter, Steph. So what stands out? Do you think he's going to be a super family movie or is that just Azloff saying,
Starting point is 00:12:34 super family referring to everybody that's involved in it? And then Gunn is doing something connected to those characters. I think kind of like what we talked about in previous weeks when we were figuring out what the Superman next installment would be if it was. with other characters. And so this makes sense in like a loose term. Like I don't think that he necessarily knows for sure. But I do think that like we said,
Starting point is 00:13:02 the movie that has Superman Next will have other characters and it might not just be a Superman movie. So that's seeming more likely that it's like Supergirl, Superman and whoever they're choosing to introduce next. I do like how James Gunn is, wants to finish the scripts before he makes full announcements. I think that's really smart.
Starting point is 00:13:24 And it's weird that we have to say that that's really smart. But I've just, as a Star Wars fan, it feels like it's happened more times than not. So I like that he's, I don't know how he's writing so much. I'm like so jealous of his ability to just keep on pushing and writing these scripts. He must have had like a serious full vision before and then is now like looking into the individual projects. wait wait wait a moment you don't know no it's also another thing though too um you would be able to do the same thing if you were getting paid the kind of money that he was getting paid to do it
Starting point is 00:14:01 it's like non-stop it's your job if it's like yeah yeah if you're right if you know look we're we're writing this pilot right now but we're not paid for it so we got to figure out the times of the best times for us to do it in between the jobs we do get paid for you know like he that's that's his job so if he's he's not procrastative he's like okay you know what i'm gonna sit down i'm gonna go i'm gonna spend some time with my with my wife and then i'm gonna write and what i do when i write i get paid that's what i'm doing yeah so i mean it's probably when you when you're when you're that's what you're getting paid to do it's probably easier to do and find that time to do it you know i mean yeah yeah and when they have source material you know it's not
Starting point is 00:14:42 just like fresh ip they're not creating like sinners after sinners after sinners like this is following some sort of storyline familiar with the comics obviously different in in a lot of ways and you're writing a full script from the ground up but yeah i see your point but it is nice i don't i just really love guns style i love what he's done with the dc e so far so i think this all is good like it's not overly confirming stuff but it's kind of just saying what makes sense that they would be doing a super family type whatever characters that may be, but we have the two main right now. Obviously, behold it on how Supergirl does, but it's, I feel like it's going to be good. Like Millie Alcock's amazing. It's great. Um, her first
Starting point is 00:15:30 people love the comic that it's based off. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but that's the risky thing for me. And that's why gun, gun's not the one who's announcing anything or anything to me. Maybe that's another reason why it's like we'd, what if? Because they were, I would say the majority of people that saw the Supergirl scene myself not included in this, but I would say the majority of people who did see it really enjoyed her introduction and liked it. I would say there was a good portion that people who didn't, who weren't sure of it yet,
Starting point is 00:15:59 didn't like it at all. But I think for what I saw, most people enjoyed it. So that will give you some hope kind of leading into the movie. It's how people, I mean, I think everybody kind of, the most part who are familiar with her,
Starting point is 00:16:12 I mean, I am included in that. I think she's great. So I would be hopeful going into it, but what if the movie doesn't hit? And with the way that superhero movies and comic movie movies are right now, the audience is being very, very picky in what they're choosing to see. I mean, look at Thunderbolts, look at Fantastic Four. I mean, even Superman's numbers, they were good.
Starting point is 00:16:34 They weren't great. So, which will lead me into the Batman conversation in a second, too. But you have to wait and see how Supergirl does before you start playing. Oh, you know what? Now we're going to put Supergirl and Superman to do a super family movie. Because if people reject this Supergirl movie, do you still go forward with that plan? Yeah, that's interesting. Yeah, I guess it just depends.
Starting point is 00:16:58 I think they would probably leave room for changes here and there. But it would have to go pretty horribly wrong, I feel like, to just be like, we don't want to feature this character anymore. And there's always the reality in which we've seen characters take a different tone per movie. So if a tone didn't work, then they could definitely change the way that that character is interacting or give her a different arc. So I don't think that it's like if it does the bad, if it does horrible, I mean, that would be pretty like, you know, that's really rare for something to do horrible, especially with, you know, like really great writers and a team involved
Starting point is 00:17:41 right now and a great actor it's hard for it to imagine it going horrible but i think if people were like you know let's say it's like a love and thunder where they're like i don't like what they did with thor then i do think it's like in the same way that we're looking forward to thor having a different arc or tone than that you could get there would be grace for that is a difference between like thunder Bolt's and Thor and Love and Thunder, though, right? Because I, Thor Love and Thunder to me is, is like one of the ultimate piss bombs of, of MCU as far as quality goes. However, the movie made something like $750, $800 million.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Yeah. So it is financially a hit. So to ask you a question, you know, what would you consider, you know, like horribly wrong? Because I just watched Thunderbolts again yesterday. It's a really good movie. I would consider almost great. I loved it. It did poor.
Starting point is 00:18:37 It did bad. Do you consider that horrible? Because, you know, it was a fantastic Ford is a movie that they thought was going to be, people thought it would be internationally and start crossing over to the $700, $800 million range. And it'd be lucky if it even hits five. So what, I guess that's the question first. What would you say would be horrible for if Supergirl was working on it? I'll say it's working on a 150 million dollar budget, which might be what it is.
Starting point is 00:19:09 I don't know. There's no reports on that. But we'll say it's got to make at least 300, 350 to break even, right? If it doesn't hit that, is that horribly wrong? Or you say like, no, if it's the long as it hits like the 250, 300 range, you keep going with this character. It's hard to say because I just, it's such a bummer watching. what happened to Fantastic Four, specifically just because I thought I loved Thunderbolt. I just thought Fantastic Four was an excellent movie.
Starting point is 00:19:41 I loved it. It was like very different and emotional. I just loved like the swings it took and I love where they're going with it. So it's hard for me to say like something's horrible if just the money doesn't relate to it because there's so much that played into those numbers. but it is like how the industry works. So I do think breaking even is important. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Yeah, I mean, look at that Superman, right? Superman made more than breaking even, but it's enough for it to keep going forward and pushing forward. I just wonder how they're going to continue on and like past Supergirl. Clearly James Gun is not directing that. In my opinion, I'd like to see other directors do a few more movies. And then Gunn comes back to do something else and they don't just start relying on him to direct everything. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Yeah. So I don't know. But I'm with you, though. I like the fact that they're like, okay, let's just wait and before we announce anything. But the other thing that they announced inside of that letter was the Batman Part 2. Someone said this yesterday in the chat. And I really agree. I think even more so of the whole argument of Robert Pattinson being in the DCU, it's a lot.
Starting point is 00:21:00 stronger because of the audience being so picky on what they're going to see in the theaters. And if you get someone who's going to go, there are a few people who chose to see Jurassic World over Superman and Fantastic Poor. That was the movie that they were going to spend their money on, but that was the one they spent it on. They didn't spend it on the other two. That process of elimination, that fact happened. Now, clearly there were other people who saw either two out of the three or three out of
Starting point is 00:21:29 theory, but it seems as if with the numbers that are showing that people chose Jurassic World to be the one. So if Batman is comes out, Batman part two and people want to see that. And then there's another Batman. And then you're giving more options. You know, well, I'll choose. I like Robert Pattinson better than I like that person. I don't really care about the connected universe. I'm just going to see that.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Are they banking on that? Do they hope that that happens that they get a lot of the Batman two audience for, for there and then they keep their DC you audience there. I don't know. Do you think that this, because the audience is getting a little more fickle when it comes to comic book movies that this could weigh into it? Yeah, I think that people have shown that they really like Robert Pattinson as Batman. And so it definitely is enough to get you to the theater. But it's hard to say what gets people to the theater specifically.
Starting point is 00:22:24 It feels like, you know, there are the Jurassic that just have that massive IP and they're always going to show up even if the movie's not very great and you can count on that but then there's like you know miss marvel broke a billion dollars and it's that was like you just you don't didn't know how to expect that or even looking back at it it's like i can't believe that so i could see like a super girl you know bringing a really young girl audience in and not perhaps being massive just on its own but robert patinson does have a huge fan base people liked him as a Batman. The only reason I'm a little concerned is because visually the two worlds created are completely different. So I don't know like how we're going to combine that or if we are or what
Starting point is 00:23:10 that looks like. You're, but Captain Marvel, the Captain Marvel was. Captain Marvel, yep. No, no, you're right. You said Captain Marvel. But Captain Marvel is the reason why it made a billion dollars is it was sandwiched in between Ant Man and Infinity War. I mean, Infinity was right. It was like one of the first movies after Infinity War. to say, everyone just got snapped into the dust. What the hell's how? Who's this? How's she going to play in all this?
Starting point is 00:23:35 So it's like they had you, they had you locked in. It didn't matter what came out. I mean, Antman didn't make a billion, but it did really well. And then they played into endgame, which was one of the biggest movies of all time. So that was just in a really good spot. And it was in the golden era of comic book movies. So I wonder how DC's going to play it.
Starting point is 00:23:54 I love what they're doing with Clayface. And other thing, I like going these smaller routes and giving you some different genre stuff. I think it makes a lot of sense. So we'll see. We'll see what... Yeah, but that could happen with Supergirl. Like, we don't know how the year is going to play out for comic book movies. We might see a whole turn and then that comes out at the perfect
Starting point is 00:24:11 time where it comes out at a bad time like Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four and Superman did. And they're kind of like fighting their way back. I guess I also want to see how different it's going to feel than other comic book movies, right? Because what I'll say about Superman, Superman did feel the different take on
Starting point is 00:24:27 this Superman was that it just felt like it was pretty much ripped right out of the comic books. It was the most kind of comic booky Superman we've ever seen. So that in itself was different, right? And it had gun style. So how are they going to make Supergirl different? And from what people are saying about the comic book, Women of Tomorrow, that it will be different.
Starting point is 00:24:45 It'll be darker. It'll be like the kind of the exact opposite of what Clark is. So we'll see. I'm curious how they're going to play all this. Guys, what do you make of it? What do you think? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know.
Starting point is 00:24:59 All right, we got some more stuff to discuss. Before we do so, it's about trade coffee. I'll tell you about factor. Right back. Let's start to rave about trade coffee. You know how much I love trade coffee. So cold brew, you drink it year round, and the problem is you rely on grocery store concentrate on $6 cafe runs,
Starting point is 00:25:17 mostly out of what, to me, I always thought it was convenience. But when trade came, come on. Cold brew at home, it's easy, and it tastes way better, and it costs less than buying out. It doesn't matter if it's summer travel. weddings, weekends. My routine, I've talked about it. It's all over the place. But my cold brew ritual is the only thing that I won't skip thanks to trade. They have the cold brew beans. They're smooth. They're easy to prep where they're brewing ahead for the week, filling my tumbler
Starting point is 00:25:43 to take it on the road. I can skip deliveries when I'm away. Trade is the number one coffee destination for the U.S. both hot and cold coffee drinkers. They've sourced the best beans from the top roasters around the U.S. and now they have a special cold brew collection. I mean, come on. Plus, they've teamed up with 15 roasters to create a special cold brew bean collection that ensures your cold brew at home tastes exactly how it should. It's smooth and it's delicious. Love it. When they said they were doing this, it's like, oh, please and thank you. I already love you guys.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Now you love you even more. So they sent this bag that I've been doing, and my buddy was in town. I said, hey, I got cold brew. Check it out. Brett, you know, Brett. Brett loves it. Limited time. Trade is going to give you 50% off a month of cold brew.

Starting point is 00:28:33 Steph Sabra. So right now, we're doing the same thing we did last week. We're going up against Mike and Roxy. Okay. So last, on Monday, Roka seemed like he had it in the bag, but then there was a little snafoo on their part, which was funny. but nonetheless, Roxy and Mike took the lead with 123 currently. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:58 And so we got six right now, not too bad. But, you know, yesterday's Chris Carr had like eight going into the questions and she wound up with like 50 or something by the end of it. So you never know. Steph's been, Steph was one of the, you're like, if we look at it in like baseball terms,
Starting point is 00:29:17 you were like, you were winning the pennant and winning championships, season after season and then you just you've had a rough couple of seasons. Yeah, we're rebuilding the team. We're rebuilding the team. So maybe with the new start time that I'll help. Currently at six, we're going to try to get stuff. Let's get stuff.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Let's get step past 123 today. Let's do that. Can we do that? Let's see. Anyway, I'll tell you, do you know, do you go, you do it as a lot, actually. You don't go to the press screenings as much with Harry. You guys just go and you buy tickets and you go to the regular screenings. And first of all, before you.
Starting point is 00:29:49 we even talk about that about what the story is here. Do you find it to be obnoxious with the way people behave in theaters, or do you not pay attention to it? You usually catch good ones. I've been actually okay. I tend to get the theaters with recliners. So it's like your own little section, and I find that people who also buy the recliner seating kind of are there to relax. and it's like it's chill, you know, it's not like an insane vibe. But I went to a regular type screening for Fantastic Forum.
Starting point is 00:30:26 People were cool. Why are you hearing bad things? Oh, about the behavior in theaters? Like all the time, all the time. When I took Matt Serra to the press screening, he just, he felt like I took him to Eden because like he was, it was just people were behaving. There wasn't people lighting up their phones. There wasn't teenagers.
Starting point is 00:30:48 talking in the middle of it and and and all of that so it was like um yeah it was pretty uh people are ill-behaved i can say when it comes to that stuff but the other thing i was going to ask is when it comes to um the AMC things that they have done you know with uh with all these ads they show like now 30 minutes of ads beforehand and i don't know if you notice that Do you go, do you usually go to Regal or do you go to AMC? AMC, but I went to a different theater for Fantastic Four, and I thought I had 30 minutes of commercials. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:28 So I got food. Okay. And Harry's like, we're five minutes in. And I was like, why do you tell me? I thought I had 30 minutes. Oh, so maybe, and when did you see it? But last, like, not this one, but the last weekend, I think. Okay, because I wonder if they started doing this, like,
Starting point is 00:31:48 how recent it was, but people, I mean, all I saw people bitching and moan and rightfully so about the fact that these ads on AMC were just so long and tedious and like, you know, bullshit. So after several major studios expressed their dissatisfaction, major studios did it too, with AMC theater's decision to lengthen their pre-shows from 20 to 30 minutes, the exhibit appears to be pulling back. Deadline reports the company is working to shorten its pre-show with a reduction aiming to be done. by years end. In June, AMC announced a deal with National Cinemedia, Inc., to run spots during each movie's pre-show and reduce the number of cinema trailers. Regal and Cinemark are already
Starting point is 00:32:30 participating in a pact with National Cinemedia. In addition, AMC was posting a notice on its ticket buying portal advising filmmakers to please allow 25 to 30 extra minutes for trailers and additional content before the movie starts, which strongly indicates people that they shouldn't show up for that point. Studio execs were understandably unhappy, especially as studios found only 80% of their audience were in their seats to watch trailers at a point just four minutes before a movie began
Starting point is 00:32:56 and over 20 minutes past the advertised start time. Studies indicate film trailers are liked by general audiences so long as there aren't too many of them with around 10 minutes of trailers seen as the sweet spot. Yeah, I mean, look, trailers are always fun. If you're not paying attention to it, it's funny because I was watching a hot mic and I like, I really do enjoy Jeff and John's banter.
Starting point is 00:33:20 I think it's one of the most entertaining shows on the internet. I really do. So I was watching there back and forth. And as I will on Mondays when John's on, I disagree with a lot of his takes. And Jeff said to him, like, look, there's a lot of, because John's saying something along the lines, how maybe the behind-the-scenes drama of certain movies
Starting point is 00:33:45 might deter audiences from seeing it, to which Jeff replied, I think you don't understand how a lot of people aren't really paying attention. Normal, you know, people who weren't paying attention to this space have no idea about the behind the scenes drama. They did just, it's just not a thing. And John's like, I don't know. I look at my look at Instagram and when I see Instagram, all these things are popping up. And I'm like, and in my head, I'm going, because that's your algorithm.
Starting point is 00:34:11 That's what you're, that's what you're looking at all the time. So of course it keeps popping up into your feet. because you're in the space in the same way that it does for me things probably like I have old school WWF wrestling that pops up does that pop up into your algorithm stuff no no it does not and so in the same way that if my uncle Paul is going through his algorithm it ain't popping up in there he ain't seeing behind the scenes drama and all the other stuff it's not it's not in there so what um then the reason I bring that up with the that's the same thing when it comes comes to trailers. You're like, well, why don't they need to see trailers? They saw it on the
Starting point is 00:34:48 internet when it came out. All these millions of people watch it. It's like, yeah, but you forget how big the world is, right? It's like there are tons of people that didn't know certain trailers and all these things didn't come out. So it is an event for people. And it always has been, when you're sitting in the theater and trailers come, oh, what's next? That's, oh, that's good. And even with the people who saw it on the internet, you want to see it on the big screen, right? Some of these things. But after a while, if there's too many of them, you can feel the energy in the theater go, let's go. Like, let's go.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Play the movie. And I think that they said a 10 minute spot is the sweet spot. But they're trying to get by running those 30 minutes beforehand, I think what they do at that point is, I mean, if you're going to do 30 minutes, if you start time is 3 o'clock for the movie, you start running the, you start running the ads and everything else at 2.30. Yeah. Because if my start time's at 3 o'clock and then I, and then let's say it's, or 240,
Starting point is 00:35:49 you start playing the ads and everything else at 240 when it starts and then 240, 3 o'clock comes, then you show 10 minutes of trailers and then my movie starts at 310. I'm okay with that. What do you make of AMC going, oops, looks like we screwed up by doing 30 minutes? Yeah, well, I guess it's confusing because I, depending what theater you go to, there's going to be a different situation. And so sometimes I'll plan to just go late because I don't like trailers. Harry does.
Starting point is 00:36:21 So we'll try to like hit a happy medium where we're only seeing about 10 minutes of trailers. But then some theaters, it's less. So then you like are late to the movie. So I wish there was like a cohesive plan. But yeah, 30 minutes is crazy because now movies are basically a minimum two hours. So now you're talking about two hours, 30 minutes plus of someone. time and that's tough especially for people with like kids and there have a babysitter at home it's like how much time do they need to account for i think they should just have like a solid
Starting point is 00:36:53 solid amount of time and just leave it there let people know so they know what time to arrive and what time they can be they're done with the movie but yet 30 minutes is crazy it's crazy unless the movie start time is 30 minutes later and you guys are just like you said you started early Right. If you're doing that, then I don't care because they do that sometimes with like just ads in general. They just have like the ads and it's playing beforehand. Fine. If I'm walking in the theater and these things are already playing, I don't, okay, fine.
Starting point is 00:37:22 That's, that's, it's just commercials beforehand. It's, it's the idea that I'm, I'm paying for a ticket at two o'clock or seven o'clock at night. And let's say it's a two and a half hour movie. And so I think that the movie starts at seven.
Starting point is 00:37:36 It doesn't start until seven 30 because of your stupid ads and, and the trailers. And then I'm, I'm not out of there until 10 o'clock at night. Or it's like, what? No, thank you. I don't, I don't want to do that. Like I have my and I have things playing.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Because that's your whole, that's depending on where the movie theater is from your house too. It's like, that's like your whole night is just kind of done. Right. And depending if you have other reservations like dinner reservations, you're like planning everything around that. Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Especially like, and you have to find the right time to do it. I get it. Look, the theater business is, they're scrambling to try to figure out ways to try to fight off the Netflix's and, and, and trying to fight off the streaming and get people into the theater and get their products out there and get money from advertisers so they can keep their stuff going. I mean, I understand, but you can't, you can't piss off the consumer. Yeah. You just can't. That's just not how you do it. So I want people to actually see it. I want them to see it so we're going to force them to watch it and we'll give him a little warning that hey half an hour beforehand he's no no you can't do that so we'll see what happens um
Starting point is 00:38:55 pissing the the audience off is not is not a good way to do it and and and i and another reason why i can see why the studios would get pissed off besides them like missing trailers and things of that nature if you go in let's say step let's say that you get there you know oh i want to get there on time and you get there at seven o'clock and your movie doesn't start till seven 30 and you're like what is going on. I'm pissed. And then you're going to see the naked gun. And you're going into the naked gun already pissed off. And it's got to win you over now. As opposed to when you sit down and you're like, oh, I'm in a good mood. Oh, let's go. Let's go. And then it's got to win you back. You know, it's like, totally. It shouldn't be the movie's fault, uh, movie's job to win you back. It should be
Starting point is 00:39:35 their job in the beginning to hook you in, but not to win you back. It's not they didn't do anything wrong. But you got to watch Sprite for a half an hour. No, people want to watch like three trailers max, really. Yeah, it's like 10 minutes. I think that was right. I think 10 minutes is a sweet spot, even if it was like four. But if you hit like 10 minutes of trailers, that's fine. Yeah, because I think it's good to give people a cushion because there is like park,
Starting point is 00:40:00 especially in L.A. You know, there's parking and dealing with that and traffic, depending what time you're going. Like that 10 minutes is kind of like nice sometimes, especially if you do have kids or something like that you're figuring out. Or you're just like me and you're notoriously. running a few minutes behind. I'm like, oh, okay, 10 minutes. I have a 10 minute. That's fine. But 30 minutes is actually crazy when you think about it. Well, it looks like the studios are the ones to get involved because I, unfortunately, I think it was just the audience that was saying it. Um,
Starting point is 00:40:30 they would have said up, who cares? Tough. Don't make our money. But the fact that the studios were getting involved and saying cut this out, they're actually listening. Do you guys care? Do you not care? Do you think that the 30 minutes was people just, who cares or did show up, half an hour later, what do you complain about? Or is this legit a good thing to complain about? Put your thoughts in there, let us know whether it is in the comment section while we're watching live. If it's on the Clips channel, make sure you're definitely paying attention to the Clips channel. Please, just Christian Harlov clips. You can catch the whole show, just clipped out if you don't have time to watch it. Spotify, Apple Podcasts, we were everywhere. Okay. The other thing I wanted to bring up here,
Starting point is 00:41:11 stuff is let's see there's quite a few stories that I like that Luke pulled today and I think that there's another one about where the hell is it? I want to make sure this is the right one before I start ringing it up and it's not um
Starting point is 00:41:26 laityada yada yada yada where is it oh you know the other thing I was going to ask about I do like a previous story about we were talking about Warner Brothers and how many films that they're releasing that sounds about right right yeah films for the
Starting point is 00:41:41 year. Yeah, that does. I feel like they've been talking about their schedule for a long time. Right. So we'll, we'll see. Oh, that's why. This thing wasn't, uh, wasn't opening. Did you watch Wednesday season two yet? No, no, yeah. I didn't realize it dropped on Wednesday, which makes a lot of sense. A lot of sense. So it dropped on Wednesday, my, but it's not the full season. I think it's like four episodes or whatever. My daughter already fired through them. I have not, looked at this article yet. I have not looked at this yet. I just know from my, my daughter said, my daughter said it's better than the first season because they're really leaning into the horror aspect. So I don't know what the reviews are. Maybe the reviews are on par with my daughter or don't
Starting point is 00:42:25 agree with her at all. I'm about to find out. So Wednesday, Wednesday, the Rotten Tomato score revealed as the first reviews land. First four episodes of Wednesday are now streaming on Netflix and review a bar go lifted earlier. You can find out what the critics made of the returning series right here. First four of Wednesday are now streaming on Netflix and the review of Bargal lifted early this morning. For the most part, the critical reception has been positive, although some feel that the second season stepped down in quality from the first. They don't agree with me about it. The entire cast, Jenna Ortega is once again said to be a standout coming in for praise, but quite a few reviews mentioned that is an overstuffed formulaic plot
Starting point is 00:43:01 does not hold the show back to some extent. Despite a few negative verdicts, Wednesday season two is now certified fresh at 84% on Rotten Tomatoes. At the end of the day, if the first season was up your rally, we don't expect any major disappointments. Comic book says, what's CBR? Is it a comic book review? I don't know. Comic book, what?
Starting point is 00:43:23 Do you know? I don't know. Wednesday is back for season two, part one. And despite the short episode count, Jenner Ticket doesn't miss a beat. Hollywood Reporter, Wednesday season to review, GenaRTegger gets lost amid Adams family mayhem and overcrowded Netflix returns. So, the reporter didn't like it.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Independent Wednesday is back and as stylish as ever, but frightfully formulaic. Los Angeles Times commentary. Wednesday, season two, doesn't recapture the magic of the first season, but it's still a spooky delight. Variety, season two review with the Adams family getting increased screen time, the several layered enigmas and Jen Artega leading the charger show, still is twisted, enticing, the variable, the one who's first debuted three years ago.
Starting point is 00:44:03 So Wednesday season two, part one on Netflix hit even gets better, more fright, freights, fewer love triangles. Okay, so it seems like it seems, pretty positive for the most part. Just, you know, there's some, just the few of the criticisms were the same and that it seems a little formulaic. But I can't really say yet. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:44:21 And then there's, you look at the reporter who thinks it's formulaic and then you look at the variety who says that it was, it's new and refreshing and they, and they liked everything about it. So that's one of these things like, well, whose taste lines up with yours? I don't know. Yeah. That's kind of how I felt. It's like, depending if you liked the love triangle or.
Starting point is 00:44:41 not felt like you went into it with a certain lens of like what you were hoping for for season two. One thing that like never scares me from watching something or even considering it as a not a valid criticism, but a criticism that bothers me is when people say formulaic. Everything is low key formulaic except for like the rare, rare instances where something is like so, so flipped on its head, like everything everywhere all at once. That's like a crazy change of like a three-act structure. It's like totally different. But most things are following some sort of structure.
Starting point is 00:45:20 I guess maybe because we're writers, we might see that more. It just. Uh-oh. Oh, no. Mike's curse. I hate when it happens to step because Steph's camera looks good. And like,
Starting point is 00:45:34 hence how you exit. Yeah, she's still like mid mid-sentence. So that doesn't. She's going to come back and realize that after all this. Now, now she, now, are you back now? Am I back? Yeah, but you're, you're throwing your voice. Let's try now. Now it's good. Okay. I'm my, okay. I'm back.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Someone. I think I think you're not, your net likes to give you shit around 45 minutes into the show. Right. It's like, does the modem get hot? I don't know, but you're just through your voice again. It's pretty cool. Um, yeah. Yeah. It's like it's interesting, but none of the, um, all right. Let's see, let's see if you can try to get that thought out again. We'll, we'll about a shot okay so maybe if i talk a little slower i don't know where i cut off but it doesn't really bother me to hear something's formulaic i think that we got that we got that yeah okay okay so yeah i'm not i'm not afraid of that and i think that people went into it with a certain lens like wednesday is such an
Starting point is 00:46:31 enigmatic character and the show kind of brought something different than they were expecting from a wednesday show so everyone is now coming in with even higher expectations to season two so i'm just going to view it from kind of an open lens. I'm excited to see more of the items family. I'm excited for it to be a little more horror-esque. So it seems like I'm going to really love it. I think you probably will. I think you're going to like it a lot.
Starting point is 00:46:55 And I'm excited to watch. I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to do reactions to it because I'm going to watch Lord of the Rings tomorrow. So I just don't know if I was going to do it. I was going to do it tomorrow. And then today I've got to head into the city. A little today today. And Saturday, we have our full live show with myself and Sam.
Starting point is 00:47:16 I'm excited about that. It's going to be a good one. Tickets are still on sale, guys, if you're going to be in New York area or live stream. So make sure you come and check that out. So that's it. Okay, Wednesday. Are you guys excited for Wednesday season two? Do you want to see it?
Starting point is 00:47:30 You're going to check it out. Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. Steph, a couple updates for you. When it comes to the pilot, we got the, I told you that we have a director that's pretty much signed on. The new draft of the script has been sent. their way today. So hopefully we have some new news soon. I think like the overall goal is going to be like, okay, we can give it to the director who is very, you know, someone who just is my, it was my dream
Starting point is 00:47:59 get and we're getting this person. And they're going to say, hey, realistically, because we had an idea of kind of what we think the Kickstarter should be. I threw a number out last week, but, and that was a number that was thrown out on the call. I said inside of my email, like, okay, look, tell us what you think at the lowest that you could shoot this for, and that will be the goal that we go for. We go higher than that, great, but we'll aim for that because there was a, there was a name thrown at from someone who's involved in our production, said, hey, I think that we can go out to so-and-so for this role because someone knows him really well. And I was and the and we think that they'll like it. I go if we got that person.
Starting point is 00:48:47 I mean now I was saying I never even fathomed that that could even be a thing. And I was like and then my friend attack Peter who is um he's great. This is a down-earth show with me and everything too. He, um, he's going to, he run ran a ton of like kick starters and other things. And he, he said the other thing that I that I, that you said this to me too. The other thing that we're going to have to do is we're have to put the script out there on on the um for the kickstarter people you know they're going to have to be able to read it check it out see what i don't know i don't know what the hell if i if i want to see this on screen why why the hell do i care so that's um that's what we're doing yeah it's it's coming along freeze on me again i'm here
Starting point is 00:49:37 is you're somewhere like in the matrix um no i hear i i i can hear you i can just tell i'm I'm glitchy, but I heard everything. You're going to have to put it on the Kickstarter, which I agree. Yeah. So that'll be coming up next. All right. So we got one more story here. And then after that, we are going to get to these questions.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Let's start with this one. And I thought this is interesting. Disney's ditching the Star brand and the Hulu app in general. So this on the news last night, too, that they were doing this. Disney held its third quarter earnings call this morning and made several major announcements regarding its streaming future. First up, the standalone Hulu app is being shut down next year and fully integrated into the Disney Plus app
Starting point is 00:50:23 with the Hulu title that's currently available. In addition, the Hulu branding will replace the star title on Disney Plus internationally this fall. Hulu becoming the company's general entertainment brand. US customers will still be able to buy a standalone Hulu subscription as well as a standalone Disney Plus plan, but boast to be accessed via the new unified single app. These moves effectively mean that beyond content library differences within specific territories,
Starting point is 00:50:47 the Disney Plus app will have a consistent appearance globally. Meanwhile, ESPN standalone app is set to launch on August 21st and will cost $30 a month. It will include all ESPN programming with fantasy and gambling integrations. An ESPN, Disney Plus, and Hulu bundle will include a launch price of 29.99 month for a first 12 months. The company also indicated it will stop reporting subscriber numbers and average review per unit for its streaming services in the coming quarters. This quarter is for 183 million Disney Plus and Hulu subscriptions up by 2.6 million. So this also comes off the news. And I'm still trying to, Ed Herald, a loyal, loyal listener for many, many years tweeted me about the deal with WWE and Hulu.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Or sorry, rather, ESPN. And I asked, what's the deal as far as the PLEs go? I mean, like the former formerly known as the pay-per-view events and those things. And I think you do have to upgrade to the extra $30. I don't know what they offer a particular bundle. I don't know what it is yet. And I said, I tune into these things now casually. I have Peacock.
Starting point is 00:51:51 Right. So Peacock to me is like, okay, I have all this other stuff on Peacock. And then casually, I tune into the PLEs and I'll watch them. I think that they're not thinking about the casual viewers on this. They're just thinking about the hardcore viewers that are going to go with them. It doesn't matter where they go. They're going to buy it. I think they lose a lot of.
Starting point is 00:52:06 casual viewers doing it this way. I have a normal ESPN thing. I have the bundle right now, but I've had to pay extra to get the PLEs. No, thanks. I just won't watch them anymore and I'll just hear the results from Roka and everything to it. I don't care as much anymore. So I think that's a massive mistake if that's the deal. I still don't know all the details to it. But I do think this story stuff makes sense for them. Condense. Don't make it. Oh, you have a Hulu app, but it's the same brand. You have this. You have that app. Put it in all one thing. That makes sense me you can get separate subscriptions for them fine this doesn't bother me the wb e thing bothers me but this doesn't bother me yeah i i i guess it's been kind of confusing i have all of it but i i will say
Starting point is 00:52:48 it's like i i feel like i'm watching less hulu shows than i used to and i really like hulu shows and i know that they promote it sometimes and it still feels different using it within the disney plus app like i because i guess i'm opening the disney plus app less because there's less Disney Plus originals coming out that I'm super interested in, like all the time. It's like less and less. I think the last Disney Plus original I watched was Ironheart. So I'm not going on the app as much, so I'm probably watching Hulu less. So I would like to probably just get my normal Hulu app back.
Starting point is 00:53:24 But in terms of the pay-per-view type stuff with my family, we'll randomly buy like a fight that my dad's interested in. I think it's like $50. but we won't do something that's more expensive for every fight. Right. Yeah, I don't know. We'll see how they play that up. But nonetheless, I think overall this makes sense how they're doing it,
Starting point is 00:53:50 but the WWE aspect of the ESPN, not a big fan of what do you guys make of it? Do you care? Do you not care? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. Okay. I played this yesterday. I played it again for Brett.
Starting point is 00:54:02 Brett's got his channel up and running. If you haven't checked this out. All right, folks. Today's final vinyl. We got a fun one, and I'm sure you can guess why I bought this album. It's the Shirts. I mean, hi. Their name of their band is The Shirts.
Starting point is 00:54:20 Come on. How do you not purchase this without even knowing any of their songs? The Shirts, people. Is that not as funny to you as it is to me? The shirts, the shirts playing a guitar too. Can you believe it? Shirts don't play guitars by themselves. But these shirts play music, so let's go check it, check it out.
Starting point is 00:54:48 My perfect day has sand, salt water, and friends. But my moderate to severe plaxiriasis can take me out of the moment. Now I'm all in with clearer skin thanks to Sky Rizzi. Rizzen Kizimat Rizza, a prescription only 150 milligram injection for adults, who are candidates for systemic or phototherapy. With Skyrizi, most people saw 90% clearer skin, and many were even 100% plaque-free at four months. Skyrizzi is just four doses a year after two starter doses.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Don't use if allergic to Skyrizy. Serious allergic reactions, increased infections, or lower ability to fight them may occur. Before treatment get checked for infections and tuberculosis, tell your doctor about any flu-like symptoms or vaccines. Thanks to Skyrizzi, there's nothing on my skin. And that means everything. Ask your doctor about Skyrizzi, the number one dermatologist prescribed biologic in psoriasis.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Visit Skyrizzi.com or call 1-866 Skyrizzi to learn more. He's so great. I love his goatee. He looks like the fourth tier. Yeah, he does. He was here for a week. And he was like he really, you got up the plane. He looked like a damn, he was Cyrano to Bergerac.
Starting point is 00:56:05 So. He's ready to joust. Yeah, we're bringing back the goofball show, which I'm excited. He and I are going to just. That's awesome. We're just going to do shows together. That's it. And talk about not movie stuff and I'll be coming back pretty soon.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Tell me, step before we get to these questions, your channel, your thumbnails are looking good. I like it. What's going on with the channel? I am going to be dropping another video today. And we did our first live stream on Sunday. It was awesome.
Starting point is 00:56:35 There were so many great people that I'm seeing in this chat there. And we started our disc, my Discord. Oh, oh. So a lot of things are going and moving, and it's exciting. So Tuesday, Thursday, Sundays. Tuesday, Thursday, Sundays. Okay, you're back.
Starting point is 00:56:52 Can you not hear you? You know, you came back. Yeah, yeah. It was for a second. It was for a second, but you're back. Okay, let's get into it, Steph. Let's, I want Steph Sabra to have one of those legendary performances that she's had in the past. I want to see the old magic come back for Steph as we're starting with 90.
Starting point is 00:57:09 We're starting with 20 right now. Can we get Steph to 1.23 to tie with Mike and Steph. How great would it be if Steph takes the week? Let's make it happen, guys. Let's make it happen. You guys can make it happen. Let's do it. All right.
Starting point is 00:57:26 So I want to see. I just want to double check and see if this is accurate. The first one. Yeah. Okay. First one here. And this is from Tom Hanks. Like Tom Hanks.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Started slow horses. And I love it so far. Have you seen? No, it's on my list of things. really great things about it. My friend David Gambino talked about it forever and then Roxy started talking about it. I hear great things. Steph,
Starting point is 00:57:47 have you watched it? I've seen season one. I need to continue. It's really good. It does have a slow start for sure, like kind of with the name, but the actors are amazing. Obviously,
Starting point is 00:57:59 Gary Oldman is incredible. It's definitely worth the watch. Let's see, boom or bust. In honor of me finally watching the studio, let's play Fantasy Studio. I like that. You fast-track development on an original action script that you love.
Starting point is 00:58:15 You work out a budget of $78 million and use favors to get Michael B. Jordan as the lead by offering a producer credit. The script gets leaked to Nolan, and he loves it. Nolan's ready to sign on, but he wants to rewrite the third act, a different lead, and at least $180 million budget. What do you do? Go step. I have a conversation with Michael B. Jordan. and I say, hey, listen, we have Nolan attached to this thing.
Starting point is 00:58:43 He wants a higher budget. I'll still give you a producer credit on it because that's what you signed on for. He wants a different lead right now. Let's set up a meeting with him, see if you can change his mind. But if not, you get a producer credit on it and you get some points on it, but we're going to go with one A year. We're going to go with Nolan. I think it's a pretty easy decision to be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:59:01 Yeah. Yeah, I'm going to have to copy and paste that. Yeah. It's like, and I think transparency, but it's Nolan. Yeah, I think Michael B. Jordan goes, I get it. Yeah. Yeah. But yes, I actually.
Starting point is 00:59:15 He's a businessman. He'd probably love the producer. Yeah, you have to give him producer credit. You can't, and he would, he would ask for it. Like, you have lost it in your hands of it. If not. So yeah, that's, that's what I would do for sure. Carlton Rudder, London calling Christian.
Starting point is 00:59:30 I couldn't join live yesterday, but I wanted to say I was thinking of you and your brother, support and love for me. Thank you, sir. I really appreciate it. Very, very kind. Okay. Next one after that. Armad,
Starting point is 00:59:42 finally watched the War of the World's movie with Ice Cube. Why'd you do that to yourself? It is bonkers bad, but it's so funny. I think you and Sarah or Brett would have a ball reacting to it. Really? Maybe you have Sarah just had on Keith Jardine on his show. It was a really good interview. I should check it out.
Starting point is 00:59:57 It's good. But did you just watch that War of the World's Poop Fest? I saw the trailer and Ice Cube playing like a computer scientist. through me. And then I saw the reviews and I was like, wait, how bad is it? Is it like the room bad or is? Okay. What do you at?
Starting point is 01:00:13 Who's seen it? Who can confirm like what kind of bad is it? I don't know. Albert Glowacki. I feel like it's the same conversation every day. Did you see the trailers for Bragona rental family? Jay Kelly Long Walk. I'm exhausted by these superhero movies.
Starting point is 01:00:28 Ball can't come soon enough. Well, we only, I mean, to be honest, we talked about the Hulu app. We talked about AMC movie theater. I mean, AMC theaters. we talked about Wednesday. One story, I mean, if you're talking about the lead stories, yeah, because guess what? Guys don't click on the show unless it's a, unless it's a lead super superhero story. You don't click on them.
Starting point is 01:00:47 We've had that, oh, I don't know what that story is. I'm not going to, I'm not going to, if I would love with the AMC story today, which is something I was really passionate about I want to talk about, we'd have even less what we have right now. It's just how it works. So we're going to have those conversations in general because we're interested in time. Plus, say the story that people want to discuss. But I'm not going to make it the whole show because that's what Capes and Cells is for.
Starting point is 01:01:10 All right. Next one after that is casual scroll. Hey, crew, she's probably crazy busy. Have you ever thought of Perry Demerophon? Yeah, I have. I mean, Perry, she comes into New York all of the time. And we actually have discussed it that when she's in New York, she's going to come in and be in studio. So we've actually had a few conversations.
Starting point is 01:01:28 It's a matter of us both following up on it. She'll be in here for Comic-Con. So I should reach out to her to get her in. She'll come in. Perry's great. And her family's not too far from this studio. Jason Ashcroft. Not going to lie. James Gunn's social media presence is becoming extremely off-putting. Love Superman, but he's really turning me off.
Starting point is 01:01:44 You don't seem to be the only person saying that. I think he needs to stop with social media. I really do. I think that I like how transparency is. I like how he likes to talk to the audience and I get it. You're the head of the studio now. You're the head of the studio. You're not just the director.
Starting point is 01:01:58 You're not just the guy who's connecting with the fans. You're the head of the studio. I think it's time to put the the social media away. You don't agree? I also, but I hear you. I just think it's so easy to not tune into someone's social media that I feel like this, like you don't have to go through this. I don't, Jason, I don't want your days being bummed out by someone's social media.
Starting point is 01:02:25 It could just. I, but it can't. But no, no, see, it's not, that's my point, though, stuff. It's not like muting Mike, right? It's like, this is a guy that when, whenever he tweets something out, he's answering questions, he's doing something, and it becomes news. It becomes headlines. It becomes these things.
Starting point is 01:02:41 And then it gets, for the people who are following this stuff and it is in their algorithm, they get inundated with it. And it's like, oh, it's another James Gunncom talking about this. And James Gunn saying, I don't think Jason's saying, I'm scrolling through his stuff and watching and looking at what he's saying. I think he's just tired to death of the fact that every single time he's reading an article at some James Gunn saying that this isn't going to happen or saying this is. And then it does happen. And he's like, he talks too much. about this stuff. He does. He talks too much about it. And a lot of things, even when he's like, oh, they make things up. I understand the frustration that Jeff Snyder has with the fact that you're
Starting point is 01:03:16 kind of disregarding what these guys and girls do in the media of finding this information out, reporting it. Oh, it's made up. It's not made up. They're hearing things from sources and you're hearing things in general. And a lot of times it's true. Sometimes he doesn't deny it or it doesn't directly deny it, but he says things kind of cryptically. And I think that it kind of, I don't, he's the head of the studio. He, I don't think he should be doing these things. It's not bugging me yet, but I can, I can, I hear that. I empathize with that.
Starting point is 01:03:46 There is a lot of news articles in the past few months. Chad Johnson, excited for Alien Earth. It's getting good reviews. Yeah, we read the reviews yesterday. They get really good reviews, actually. You going to watch that one? Yeah, probably. I love the alien series.
Starting point is 01:04:01 You too. Jason Ashcroft. I was fortunate to love both Superman and Fantastic Four. I much prefer Fantastic Four. I can understand what people call it bland. I can't understand what people call it bland. It was an amazing space movie. I'm with you.
Starting point is 01:04:12 It was my, I think Steph, you and I are more science fiction people. So I'm assuming in my, in my ranking, I think your rank, our ranking will be a little different, but I think we're going to decide.
Starting point is 01:04:21 I think we'll say number one. My number one is Fantastic Four. My number two is Thunderbolts. My number three is Superman. I, it's so hard for me to say, between Superman and Fantastic, but I think I put Superman above Fantastic. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Okay. But I loved. I mean, like, really it was such a fantastic thing. I'm obsessed with it. Yeah, I just loved, loved Superman. It's hard. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:49 Okay. I would rewatch them both immediately. Fair enough. Jason Ashcroft as a lifelong Star Wars fan. I'm so excited. Matt Smith is in the new movie. House of the Dragon is my favorite show and he's incredible. Yeah, we talked about this as the leads yesterday.
Starting point is 01:05:01 I think it's great that he's going to be in this. I love that they're going to have him. Such a great actor. Yeah, I love that they're going to have. And he's perfect for the Star Wars villain. Perfect. Totally. Totally.
Starting point is 01:05:13 I was really excited to see this story because I am always, I saw a lot of criticism, which I agree with that they like when Star Wars had lesser known actors. But I don't necessarily think Matt Smith is like most people know his name. I think most people know his face. And they'll be like, whoa, he's a really good actor. I remember him from House of. dragon but he's not at the Ryan
Starting point is 01:05:33 Gosling. Right. Or like everyone you know. So I just and he's such a good villain that it's like this seems like it's going to be awesome. Yeah, he's he's really really, really good. Go pal. I've only seen the first two episodes of Wednesday season two. I like it a lot.
Starting point is 01:05:49 The B-Kid and Pugsy grew so much they look like new actors. That makes sense. Pugsley's acting ability is my one criticism. Oh, he's not that good. Mike Joyce, you both react. to that barbarian twist the same way. Oh, I find tell you, I finally saw a barbarian.
Starting point is 01:06:08 Did it flip you out? Yeah. I was, I was, I was, like, I froze. I was like this.
Starting point is 01:06:14 He was like the grossest thing I've ever seen in my life. It was just, I'll tell you though, I loved, I loved his follow up. I loved weapons. I loved it. I can't wait to see it.
Starting point is 01:06:23 So it's not a sequel or anything, right? It's just the director, writer's follow up. Yeah, it's amazing. I like it, I like it better.
Starting point is 01:06:31 I'm barbarian and I like barbarian a lot, but I like this much better. Okay, what is it on my, is it very scary or is it more thriller? It's horror thriller, but it's more of the thrill. It's like, it has like, it's a more, and I, though I've been saying, it's like, it's a more like R-rated Chamelon type movie. Okay. It's like that. I'm excited to see it.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Yeah. Simon section. I wish the Christian could be more vocal in promoting trade. Okay. What do you mean? I understand that it's brewing. Does it also come in lonely single guy coffee instant? Just add water and microwave brewing. Oh, so fancy. No, it doesn't. It's got the, it's, I have like a, basically, here's what you can do, by the way. This is what you want, if you want to go to that route where you're talking about this, things that you can do, if you have a curing or whatever you do, and this is what I did for a while. It's, it's a budget way to do it. I don't do this anymore. My wife bought me a, I actually have a coffee grinder of what I have. So I get like the whole beans. and I grind it. Plus, if not, I do, I have this, the, it's like this little serving thing.
Starting point is 01:07:36 So basically what I do is I have a little serving one. I pour it in from the regular ground coffee, if I want to do it that way. And I, and I make myself some coffee. Now, what you could do with a cure egg, get yourself a pod, open up the thing, clean it out, and keep refilling it. Wash it out, refill it out, refill it, pour it in. It's all you got to do. It's a budget way to do it. But it works. You got to, you got to, you got to wash it out. keep washing it out but have a have a curing thing keep washing it out and you can do it that way so that's that's what i do that's what i used to or a french press a french press is so easy so easy yeah mike joyce smoothie king is releasing a ketchup smoothie gross pretty disgusting
Starting point is 01:08:17 what you know ketchup used it was like in like i think it was like the 1700s or eighteen hens it was like it was dessert you think about it i mean it's insane to us but to them it's all sugar and tomatoes it's like it's all really all right it is. So they know what it was. Tyler, Battenson equals money. Introduce DCU Batman and Guns Superman follow-up. That way it's clear to whose Batman is with. You don't introduce him in a standalone. No, yeah, I don't think I don't think you can introduce him in a standalone. I think you got to bring him in whoever the Batman is. Go pal. I'm getting Jean-Baptiste, Emmanuel Zorg from Brett. Yes, 100%. And or other. Support for Steph and Christian, what can Marvel do to
Starting point is 01:08:58 prevent X-Men fatigue. If they do pivot to focus on X-Men, could other properties see improvement? I think that the one thing that they should do, well, you've got to introduce these new X-Men in Secret Wars, and you've got to do it effectively. And you've got to do it to where I'm interested in them. And if Infinity, Infinity War, if Doomsday and Secret Wars don't do well and disappoint, you put X-Men on the shelf and you don't release a movie for about two or three years. years and then you bring X-Men back two or three years later and give it a shot to see if you can
Starting point is 01:09:33 jumpstart the whole thing what do you think yeah that's interesting i i i don't have the same superhero movie fatigue that i think the general audience has so i am i'm sensitive to that because i totally could see how that happens if it's not really your thing anymore and so that would be worrisome. I do think it is like, yeah, it depends how Doomsday does and moving forward because that will, they'll need to like wipe the palette
Starting point is 01:10:05 for X-Men. Agreed. RQ. MDSMD. Support for Steph. Great show. Thank you. You have moves up seven as 28. Come on, guys. Let's get her there. If everybody put one in there, that'd be it. Oh, it'd be it. You're 567 watching right now.
Starting point is 01:10:23 if everybody put one in there, she'd break the record. Everybody throw one in there. Victor, Victor, Victor. Thank you. Can Steph do it?
Starting point is 01:10:34 More support for Steph from Mirjam. Samir, damn, you're beautiful. Thank you. What about Steph? Right. You know, I know I've been working out, but come on. I'm not a object. Gen X, nerd 37.
Starting point is 01:10:48 Are you going to have Sam react to Madam Webb? Probably not. We have so many other movies to watch. Only Madam Webb is going to be the one that people are looking for we got all nolan movies got the harry potter movies we got the star wars movies and we get so much so much i can't wait to watch new movies with her as i had i had a great time with her doing marvel but it's been like seven or eight months of watching marbles yeah yeah that's a lot a lot so now i get to now i get to see other like new things with her
Starting point is 01:11:16 probably watch a superman movie with her um i hope she likes yeah i think she will yeah albert glowacki did you happen to see see the final trailer for rental family jay kelly but going to or the long walk i know i didn't i didn't see any of those no i didn't see any of those spencer drake's been a member for three months so up gang what's been a highlight of your week so far for me it was seeing naked gun and sold out showing did you see that yet no we're seeing it this weekend oh my god i know we're like a week behind everything i can't wait yeah i've watched all their press interviews i'm obsessed with everybody seems to be everybody seems to be i let's see what's my highlight of my week it was nice to see brett
Starting point is 01:11:58 i was that was good um i was on saturday i went and i like i said i went and i saw um that movie that netflix movie fixed which i think you'd like step and um it was nice to see my buddy marshall so that's probably one of my highlights of the week for sure is he on the east coast marshall marshall was only he was he was there to like with the with the director of the movie and then then they were going to like canada or something right after his no he's still in L.A. But, um, but he was, I hadn't seen him in over probably a year, year and a half,
Starting point is 01:12:30 but um, it was nice. We sat down. We had dinner. Um, and it was, uh, it was great.
Starting point is 01:12:34 He's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, one of the best human beings I know. Um,
Starting point is 01:12:39 so what about you? So what was the highlight of your week? Highlight of my week so far. Um, I discovered like this amazing matcha place. Oh. I love it. So,
Starting point is 01:12:52 much so maybe that is yeah oh i filmed a really fun episode yesterday that was kind of of square of the moment it's a good week yeah yeah that's nice uh julius wyatt get wednesday's brother and the b kid out of there is it that bad shoot i got to say i love the bee kid was he the first one the be kid yes the one with the retainer oh yeah i remember i remember go pal support thank you go pal joshua gonzalla saw naked gun dad and i laugh so much i love hearing that love hearing that's all here's my one sorry budgeting and went crazy tuesday i get it but you put that one in there that's that's that's what help because we're getting 33 casual scroll you guys excited for the animated mall series or nah if i'm being honest
Starting point is 01:13:36 not really um i like sam whitwer a lot and i'm glad that he's getting um i'm glad that he's getting i'm glad that he's getting be able to produce and do some stuff in it i'm sure it'll be interesting is he knows star wars anything better than most people out there too so i'm i'm excited to see what they do as far as lore goes but it's just you know in the same world the same pheloni universe the same thing nothing is moving anything forward so not really but i hope it's good yeah i'm excited for sam whitwer being more involved in it i'm a big fan so i i'm definitely looking forward to checking it out yeah i'm gonna check out the first episode and the way that that I did, what was that last thing that came out, Tales of the Bounty Hunters,
Starting point is 01:14:21 whatever the last thing was that they came out. I didn't watch. I watched an episode and I said, I get it. It's the same shit they've been doing. I'm out. And I never went back to it. It was just the same repetitive thing over and over and over. I'm like, I'm good.
Starting point is 01:14:36 So if it's the same thing with Mall, I'll give it a shot. But we'll see. Go, pal. I actually enjoy Madame Webb, but I'm still baffled why they replace all the villains's dialogue. She probably wasn't good reads. Probably wasn't good reads. I liked it too, Go Pal. I do, but I agree.
Starting point is 01:14:55 The ADR is like so criminal that I just wish they just didn't like, I don't know, just figure something else out or reshoot. Yeah. All right. Right now, currently two left, but we'll see. We'll see if people can step up, get Steph the victory here today.
Starting point is 01:15:13 Tim, where does weapons rank in the 2025 rank? Right now it's pretty damn hot. I'd say it's it's it's it's it's hovering in the top five um where it might even hover into the top three I have to put my list out there but it's it's up there it got and when I walked out of the theater I was like really like this movie lots whack it's crazy but it just it sat with me more and more it's one of the few movies I actually would want to see again in the theater it's up there I don't know I don't know where yet but it's it's it's hovering um I'm curious to see where you guys rank
Starting point is 01:15:47 legend m m 600 step we love you so who is your favorite x-men oh probably rogue and i love magnateos like my favorite villain one of my favorite villains of all time so yeah probably them i love i love a lot of them though i love the x-men that's like totally my favorite part of the comic book world is x-men yeah uh you and a lot of other people tyler currently taking the Browns to the Super Bowl. Good luck on that one. All right. 36, Steph. We didn't quite get there, but we got close.
Starting point is 01:16:28 We got close. Not really, but it's fine. It makes us feel better to say it. Yep, yep. All right, let's see. We'll do, we'll try to, maybe, you know, you can try to throw that Hail Mary as you promote your show. If they want to keep us on, I want to keep you here,
Starting point is 01:16:42 they'll throw in some more, but if not, do one more promotion, let's get out of here, potentially. Okay. at Steffsabraw, YouTube.com slash Stephsabraw, dropping videos Tuesday and Thursday. So I'll drop one in the next few hours about 2 p.m. Pt. So come check it out. Subscribe, like, leave a compliment.
Starting point is 01:17:01 And thank you. We got one more, potentially more, but right now one more. Casual scroll, random question. How did you guys meet your partners? I met my wife at a, it was a comedy show that I was performing at, but it was through a friend of mine who, she had gone with and we met at that at that show that night. Oh, that's cute.
Starting point is 01:17:25 How about you? We met the very 2023 way or whatever year it was, which was on a hinge. I was like, yes, I was going to delete it because I just was so uninterested, but there's something really cool about being able to like close. There's so much BS in LA. Oh, yeah. To be able to close in on just like the basics without wasting your time. Like I don't like to go on dates.
Starting point is 01:17:53 So like I don't like to like figure out if you're a psycho. So that was nice. I remember. I remember when we would we would have conversations about the horror stories in the past. And yeah. And I remember that. And then I remember you being on the show and not really. And I also knew it was more legit because you wouldn't talk about Harry on the air.
Starting point is 01:18:13 Oh yeah. Yeah. And I was like, oh, this guy's this is. this is serious. Right. There was nothing. I was just talking about this yesterday. There was so nothing psycho and almost like too good to be true that I background
Starting point is 01:18:28 checked him within like the first week. Makes sense. I was like, this is weird. And I said that. I mean, look, same thing. I can't, I, I don't remember if it was Kate's. I can't remember the first time I met him, but I remember wherever it was. I don't know if it was.
Starting point is 01:18:41 I don't know if it was. I felt like maybe I'd already met him at that point. whatever it was, whenever you, when we met him for the first time, because I was used to your horror stories. I'm like, let's see who this guy is. I was like, I remember saying to somebody else, I'm going, yeah, he's cool as shit. And he is cool. And every time I saw him, I like, I like talking to Harry's, Harry's a good guy. Yeah, he like, Christian and Mark, he's like, okay. Yeah, that's, and then I think, yeah, something and then we were, and I think Mark and I were doing basically singing, doing karaoke,
Starting point is 01:19:15 going on the Kate's thing. He was just like, these guys are hacks. Oh, is awesome. You guys killed it. Nathan Drake, Christian, you love the Astros. I love pooping on the Astros. If I can do that, love pooping on the Astros. So let's see, Crystal. Oh, is Crystal going to come in here? Is Crystal going to do it for you? Forty-four. Can we push it over to beat 123? Let's see. Can't wait for Sam's reactions to X-Men. That's going to be fun, too. I didn't mention that, too, because she's never seen the X-Men movie stuff.
Starting point is 01:19:45 So it's going to be where she wants to rewatch Deadpool and Wolverine now. She's so caught up with all this stuff too. So we're going to do. I think I think the way that I'm going to work it is and this could change tomorrow. But in my head right now, it's Lord of the Rings, Nolan movies. And in that time when Superman drops the Superman and then go into the X-Men movies. Yeah, that makes sense. I think so.
Starting point is 01:20:13 little break from comic book movies. Well, yeah, give us a break until we get back to the X-Men. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Johnny Bravo, would you say weapons is worth watching an IMAX? You know what's funny is a lot of movie theater, a lot of IMAX theaters are taken up by weapons? It doesn't seem like an IMAX movie to me. I didn't see it in IMAX.
Starting point is 01:20:32 It doesn't seem like one, but it might be fun to watch it in one. I don't know it necessarily, I mean, like Fantastic Four was a great IMAX movie. I don't know. I really don't know. So, yeah, let me know if you see it at Nightmax. It was great. Armada, underrated movie Matchstick Man with Nick Cage. So good. People really like that one.
Starting point is 01:20:54 I haven't seen it, though. I haven't seen that. Victor Rodriguez, more support for Steph. Have you seen the filming clips photos for brand new day in Glasgow? Looks amazing, spectacular even. I haven't. I don't look at set photos normally, but I'm excited to hear it. I have seen some stuff again in the Algon.
Starting point is 01:21:11 of a punisher kicking a lot of ace been seeing that yeah yeah Glasgow's always a good place to shoot that excites me um let's see and that is Tyler update high scoring Browns winning big time okay okay I don't think so but okay MM 600 Christian who's your favorite X-win mine's Wolverine same because the thing is that I liked Wolverine way before the movies. The comics that I read growing up as a kid was both G.I. Joe, the Marvel run, and X-Men, and it was Wolverine ones, the original Wolverine ones,
Starting point is 01:21:53 the comics, there was a comic that I read that I used to love with him in Havoc called Meltdown that I read. So that was it. So I want to see, and I love what Hugh Jackman did. I want to see a little bit more of a comic-accurate Wolverine. I'm curious to see if they're going to do. that this time around. Mostly superheroes. Yo, name
Starting point is 01:22:14 your top live action Batman casting. Well, mine's Brendan Scunar. You guys know that. I don't know. I would have to think about that. I don't really have like a serious pick for that. Not yet. Not yet. I'll think about it. Mostly superheroes. I'll get back to you.
Starting point is 01:22:33 The Weird Wizard. Hey, y'all. Played at a music festival in Tennessee. I had a crowd about 7,000 people there. That's great. Awesome. I guess the guy I've ever performed at. Hel me get my mind off that friend that I have feelings for feeling better you got to sing a song about that friend yeah make some music right now um the best time my friend just wrote me a text and said young guns three with an explanation went did they just officially announced young guns three I know that it's been rumored but let me see they just officially announced that I don't see anything
Starting point is 01:23:04 I guess my friend just caught old old news of it but I I am very excited do you ever seen the young guns movies? No, okay. We'll watch those together too. That's Luke, if you're watching, I'm going to get on the phone with you, hopefully real soon to, to test out that digital stuff. There's so many movies for stuff to watch it, can't we? Geek, load stars for both of you. What's something you watch or listen to that makes you think of someone no longer with us? For me, it was my grandpa and introduced me to three stooges, Leslie Nielsen and Seinfeldon. I don't want to get too, you know, sad here. as people may and may not know yesterday was the the anniversary of my brother passing away
Starting point is 01:23:46 seven years ago and i posted a song that anytime we hear that song um reminds me of him so that one yeah that was a great song what's something you watch or listen to you i don't know i every time i drink green tea i think of my grandma every time i see anything like japanese like i think of her. So that's kind of it. But that's what, yeah. Do you know that's one of my biggest regrets about living LA is how many times you invited me to go to the holidays for sushi and I wasn't able to make it? Such a bomb. If you guys ever spend the holidays in Sandy in LA again, then we'll drive down to San Diego. I'll if I had a this is why I want a teleportation machine because I would, you know what I would do. I would go. I would say, hey, guys, I'm going to.
Starting point is 01:24:40 downstairs to the basement for a second and I would open up the teleportation and I would come to your house I would sit down hang out with you guys we have some laughs I'd eat some sushi and then I would just tell my family I was watching movie for a little while right and then be right back and then you'll bring them some sushi rolls no no no I eat it all myself oh okay okay cashers gross step have you gotten Christian to anime yet maybe that's something that we should do also because I just I haven't seen yeah so maybe some that don't have like so many seasons we can like brainstorm a few So it's not too overwhelming.
Starting point is 01:25:12 But he watched the live, he's watching the live action of, um, what's the one. So it's like, Oh, one piece. One piece.
Starting point is 01:25:21 So that's a good start. Yeah. There's some, so is, is, um, attack on Titan anime? Yes.
Starting point is 01:25:29 Okay. I've never seen that and I hear that I would like it. I think you would like that too. Did I watch that with you? Yeah. Yeah, definitely. Okay.
Starting point is 01:25:37 The Callie Kid. Thank you, Kelly Kid. what a generous one that was. I do. Anytime someone puts this in there, because it's my favorite stupid bit from all the four-war things. Ray Ho! Remember that?
Starting point is 01:25:50 No. Remember the old lady that shows up at the end of her own line? She's like, who are you? She's like, I'm Ray. Yeah, I'm Ray. Ray, who? What is she doing there? What is she doing there?
Starting point is 01:26:04 In the middle of the desert. You're nowhere. It's someone else's house. You have to go, there's no neighbors. Like, what are you just standing there for? Like a silver alert. Yeah. Well, Ray Ho!
Starting point is 01:26:18 That is so funny. I forgot about that. Just so that they can introduce to the worst line ever. Ever. Go, pal. Did you keep the dust jacket on books when you read? Keep the dust jacket on books. When you, oh, I read that so illiterately.
Starting point is 01:26:35 Do you keep the dust jacket on the books when you're, read. No. Yes, I do, actually. Wow, you're a clean reader. I ruin a book. Like by the end of a book, yeah, it's just like destroyed. So no, I put them all in a drawer and then when I'm done, I put it back on.
Starting point is 01:26:54 But I usually read only, I don't tend to get hard copies. It's too heavy. I'm like a one-handed holder. Yeah. Yeah, I get it. My friend just told me he saw a naked gun in the theater three times. very. Oh, my, she's awesome. Callie Kit, what's your favorite
Starting point is 01:27:10 Metallica song? One. I don't know. Fair enough. Chad Johnson, favorite singer. Mine is Amy Lee of Evanescence. Of all time, Jim Morrison. Of all time, maybe Aretha Franklin.
Starting point is 01:27:27 Oh, that's good. Julius Wyatt. I like the B guy in season one as well, but their storyline is the farts, at least to me. Think Thunderbolts is the best comic movie that year. It was really good on the second run. Now I got to see Fantastic 4 in a second run. Thunderbolt is really damn good.
Starting point is 01:27:46 I'll tell you what I'll tell you what's better on digital and better the second time around when you know what's coming is Captain America Brave New World. It's not a good movie. But it's not terrible. It's not terrible. It just seems like it. No, I never know. No, since it should be made for Disney Plus. right i never thought it was terrible i thought that it needed like one more draft because i liked where
Starting point is 01:28:12 it had a lot of good in it but um it was fine for me but yeah thunderbolts is great did you have a favorite character in thunderbolts um yeah well i mean yelena is is the key to the whole movie she sets it with heart and everything i really like bob i really like bob i like um i love to i I loved, like, everything that he represented and how he would, the way that, I, I'm telling you, I think that he was, Walker was great. Watching that again was, was a great journey. And it was a nice back-to-back experience. We watched, because sometimes when you're watching two movies, like, that are just not good.
Starting point is 01:28:54 And you're like, oh, like, we watched, I can't remember what it was. We watched, I think it was Loki season two, which was good. And then we followed up with the Marvels. And we had, we'd, we'd finished Loki season two on like a high. And then the marvels, like, less is going on. I'll see you next week. But this one, we're both like, well, it was cool. And she's like, are we watching another one?
Starting point is 01:29:11 Like, no, I can't. I got to go back to my house at this point. But, but yeah. So I really did like Thunderbolts, though. And I'm glad that Julius liked it too. Yeah. How? Like half my books are missing the dust jackets.
Starting point is 01:29:26 That is a lot of people for sure. Yeah. IK. Support for Step. I love your insight and your perspective. It's much needed in this space. Thank you. That's very sweet. Very positive person. I don't think I've ever seen you get mad. I mean, I'm sure that you, that you do.
Starting point is 01:29:42 I spent my whole childhood, not my whole, but I like, I was an emotional, angry kid. I feel like, and once my frontal lobe kicked in, I've chosen peace and I've kind of never left back. Yeah, you're very chill. I've never, I've never, I've never, I've never seen you. Yeah, never seen you pissed off. I like that. I had all my fights back in the day. Fair. Simon section,
Starting point is 01:30:07 teleportation, K.H. I hope you don't have to get naked and the teleport device is flyproof. Well, it's my only asset that I'm not, that I'm okay with. Go pal Garnahan. That I took off while reading. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 01:30:19 Totally. Yeah. Legend. You lose one. Yeah. Legend MM 600. Okay, so which one you both like better? Batman or Wolverine?
Starting point is 01:30:29 Love your show, dude. Thank you very much, Legend. Um, for me, I would say, I'd probably say Wolverine. And, um, yeah, I'd say Wolverine. Were you a Batman girl? I liked this Batman 89, the series for sure. So in Wolverine wasn't my favorite in the X-Men series. So I'd probably go Batman.
Starting point is 01:30:52 Galaxy Geeks who's been helping us out with all this stuff says anime with Steph would be a perfect star for digital. Yeah, it would be good. That's awesome. Um, Harvest K. Christian, I heard anime companies. in Japan are especially strict with their shows being used on YouTube videos. Check with Greg Alba before you do one of those. Oh, is that true?
Starting point is 01:31:09 Oh, I guess that makes sense. I have to look into it. I have to look into it. I wonder what the ruler. Julius Wyatt, will you and Sam rank the MCU movies after Fantastic Four? You know what I might do is I might have her rank all of the movies that she's seen now. Sorry for the live show. and maybe we can debut her updated list at the live show.
Starting point is 01:31:34 Maybe we can do that. Last one for now. The Callie Kid, love you. Thank you, Callie Kid. We love you too. And that's 63. I still think that's a good fight back. Considering when interesting with like seven, I think. Coming out the other side with 63 stuff,
Starting point is 01:31:51 pretty damn good. Pretty good. Thanks, guys. Yeah. And that's funny. As I say, I've never seen you get angry. It's going to be my job to get you angry. on in the pilot.
Starting point is 01:32:01 Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. That's different. That's different. That'll be fun. There is an angry person somewhere deep inside, but just, I'm, I'm guaranteeing my character. We'll be able to get it out of you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:15 All right, guys. So we're at 63. I think that's it. Steph did it again. She had a hell of a, hell of a fight. Couldn't beat Mike and Roxy this week, but hey, she's on the cusp. I can feel it.
Starting point is 01:32:28 I can feel it. Guys, thank you so much for being here. I appreciate you. We will be back tomorrow with capes and cows. I'm going to see if the guys can do early tomorrow. If the guys cannot do early tomorrow, then I'm probably going to have Winston host, because I'm going to be shooting the Lord of the Rings movie with Sam at that time tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:32:50 So let me check in with them. We will be having a show tomorrow. You just check in on it. And I'll let you guys know sooner than later what the deal is. So thank you guys. I appreciate it. And we'll see you guys on the flip side. Bye bye.
Starting point is 01:33:06 Bye bye.
