Hello, fellow youths.
Welcome to the Caps and Cowell Show.
The children have taken over the asylum.
That would be myself and Mr. Coy, John Drew,
because, you know, Christian is all like,
I have a family.
I want to spend time with my kids.
My wife will be mad if I work on the day immediately after Thanksgiving,
all that stuff, right?
So we decided, you know what, we will still do the show.
You should go spend time with your family, you know,
us lonely bachelor.
Well, Coy's only like half a bachelor because he's engaged.
We'll take care of it.
We'll do the stories.
We'll talk about the fact that, you know,
James Gunn has kind of explained what is going on with the Batman 2,
with these whole rumors that is it happening?
Is it not happening?
You kind of put that to bed.
You know, we'll talk about how the studios are blaming Deadpool and Wolverine
for people pirating movies.
Come on, man.
I've been one of barbershops since I was a child.
A hell of black people I know been bootlegging
movies for a long time. So don't do that. That is, that is standardly been happening. People
with big old camcorders and stuff. I mean, we'll talk about creature commandos and Alan Tudek's
voices in it. We're going to talk about the fact that a Hulk versus Wolverine movie is happening.
You know, a lot of stuff. We're going to do all of that. So look, if you don't have your
leftovers out for breakfast, go get that, put an egg on it that officially makes it breakfast.
and then come join me and Coy right now as we handle capes and cows, baby.
P.D. throw that intro, dog.
Yo, what is good.
I am Winston Marshall, A.K., the Swaggy Blurred.
And this is Capes and Cows.
You know what it is.
I am, of course, joined by the other half of my dynamic duo, man.
We were really nightwing and Red Hood.
Though I guess Coy, honestly, is probably more the Dick Grayson.
and I feel like I'm at times a little bit more Damien.
Corey Jean-Ru's here.
What up, bro?
What's good?
POD, God damn it.
Brink him on the show.
Was I just audio?
Was I just...
It was nothing.
You just weren't there.
I thought you were going to make a red hood, red head reference.
I thought that's how you're going to bring me in, which is probably also a place.
Actually, would have been really...
I was like, if he said me up, this is solid.
And then I was like, I'll steal the joke if he's not going to use it.
I'm excited that we have this full power here.
Like it's, we got, what, like 80 something to beat for the week?
And it's us.
I got a lot of confidence after last week.
I feel like, you know, the people are post gluttony, just like sitting bellies full of stuffing, want to celebrate with us for a couple hours.
I feel like a talk to talk.
That's what it is.
Which I got to ask, dude, what did you make?
Did you make anything?
Or were you just the bum that ate everybody else's food?
No, no, no.
So this is my first ever Thanksgiving, like, as a fiance.
So I got invited to a ton of Friendsgivings that I respectfully opted out of.
I wanted to do like just to me and her Thanksgiving.
So like I didn't go out and do like, you know, I love a Friendsgiving, especially in L.A.
where like, you know, orphan Thanksgiving is kind of the thing.
And for 14 years, that's what I've done.
But I thought it'd be cool.
So we, we watched movies.
We decorated a Christmas tree.
Like we put up the tree and decorated it.
Like we got like bulbs that are like just for us.
Like she got like a two reindeer like her name, my name, little first Christmas.
Like we did the cute thing.
And then I like stuffing more than like anything in life.
So I made like a mean, you know, a nice lean mean, $2 stove top stuffing.
Like you can spend $80 on a turkey and I'm still going to eat my weight and stuffing.
That's where I, why I do.
And she made like a dope honey baked ham.
She made green beans.
I made sweet potatoes stuffing.
We like split a 50-50 and then like a taramisu for dessert.
How about you?
What was your situation?
That is impressive.
that is very impressive.
So here's a deal.
I've got family in town,
which PLD, I don't know if you can hear me,
if you could drop the names out for us real quick,
that'd be great.
Just might as well say it out loud.
But we did a,
all my family's here,
and my sister just bought her new house.
And so she really wanted to,
she really, really wanted to host.
That was just, she wanted to do that.
But she has been very sick recently.
But she still insisted that she hosts because of the house.
So my mom went and took that over.
Now, we for years now have been doing it like a potluck style
because we don't agree that it's fair that one person got to drop like 500 a G
for however many people.
It doesn't help that my sister decided to invite every person she knows.
This was an 18-person Thanksgiving.
So I'm sitting here like, okay, I normally do the mac and cheese or the collard greens.
The greens got taken by my cousin before I could get to it.
I'm not making mac and cheese for 18 people.
That's expensive.
I don't get paid enough to do that.
So I went and I just like, you know what?
It's time to learn a new skill.
And I did the candied yams.
I did maple bourbon, candied yams, bro.
I'm going to tell you right now, those yams are.
are going to finish the job.
The dodge ball started and take my leg for me.
They are so sweet.
Diabetes is coming for that ankle.
I'm telling you right now, bro.
You got to pick your battles,
and if you've already felt the loss of a leg,
maybe that's your battle to win.
I don't know if this is preparation.
But Kennedy games, we'll take a man out.
I understand.
Dude, a little bit of crown vanilla
and reduce that into the sauce that I used to, like, boil them.
Oh, God.
You mentioned collar green.
and I gave Greg crap on this show about his lack of collard greens because I just didn't like fundamentally
don't understand having lived even five years without having them.
That's crazy to be 30 something.
But do you think bacon is implied, mandatory or not in collard greens?
They're not.
I typically, if I'm going to do it, I'm either putting in turkey nets or I'm doing ham hawks.
But I never bacon.
Okay.
So I had some with bacon out the other day.
and I hadn't, like, I've had it like half and half,
but I didn't know if that was like a,
no, I mean, you, you, like, again,
you typically want some sort of meat base in there.
There's going to be, obviously,
that I think the funny part is,
I remember we had somebody over one time.
They're like, oh, this is a grain.
There's no, there's not going to be any meat in it.
I was like, yeah, there is.
That's not collard greens.
So great, I was like,
that it's not collard greens.
I don't know what to tell you.
You need the, the meat juiciness in there,
and that's part of what brings out the full flavor of it.
some wet spinach, enjoy it.
Have yourself a time.
Which has kind of a mustardy taste.
If you don't have some mustard,
sorry, I can't help myself.
If you don't have it in there,
it doesn't bring out the flavor and it's just a weird bitterness.
And I go, I go like different types of vinegar personally.
Like if you do like a balsamic,
like that brings out the mustard in a way that isn't.
This show without Christian is just food talk.
No, no, no, no.
I've come to realize.
It's just the longest thing.
It is post Thanksgiving.
It's post-Singgiving.
I still got theitis.
Just by thinking about it, I'm already falling back asleep.
I know as soon as we wrap at noon, I'm going to be right back in the fridge.
Like, I know what everything is in there.
I'm ready.
The aluminum foil can only hide so much.
A thousand percent.
Look, man, I've got what?
I've got this today.
I've got to work from like one to five.
And then I am literally just going to become a vegetable on the couch.
So it's totally, totally fine.
I'm doing a live later.
And I might eat during it.
Like I think I'm going to do a live from like two to three
And I might be like eating and bagging and boarding comics
Like wash my hands between and then pivot
I might have to start a cooking TikTok bro
I like just because like not only do can I throw down
But I'll also just start like dancing and stuff
So like that tax right off on food man
I might have to
But either way you film it
To get that tax right off on food man
That's fair
But either way let's get to the reason why we're here man
Obviously welcome to capes and cows
As I mentioned before
We got all these great stories
to go through men, some a little more scary than others.
But I say all that to say that y'all know what the deal is.
Throughout the week, we have a competition to see who gets the most questions,
who can get the most engaged on the show.
Currently, the record is being held this week by Roka at 82.
I comfortably feel like we can go Wilk Chamberlain on his ass and pass that.
And I just reach out to y'all and say,
help us do that. That would be super great.
You know what kind of message that sends to Christian if without him were able to pull that off?
That would be huge.
And with some of these stories that are here, let alone with what just happened during Thanksgiving,
everything from whatever y'all ate and stuff like that, because I'm actually genuinely
curious because my fat ass is always trying to hear about other delicious things that happen.
Or, you know, Corey doesn't really do the sports.
I'm sure some of y'all saw the fact that the Cowboys won that the Bears blew it and ended up firing
their coach. A lot of stuff happened on Thanksgiving yesterday. So you got them questions,
send them in. Coy, anything you want to add to that or anything? Well, in the spirit of Black Friday,
Black Friday being a day of discounts, I want to point out that Christian's not here to, you know,
assess any of these questions or chaos. So if you guys want to put in $83.1 stream labs,
that's going to add up to us beat Roka. So, you know, do the discount method. I think, I don't think you can do a
quarter. But,
Anything counts.
So I just want to win in the spirit of a day of commerce.
Are you doing any shopping today?
I don't know because I have to work all day if there's if like I typically now I'm a
Cyber Monday person.
Like there's no need to go in and, you know.
I'm not fighting grandma's today.
I did it online.
Like I got, I got a $300 off on a MacBook.
I finally got a computer that's going to be like able to plug a like a microphone.
Oh shit from who?
Dude, $300 off at Costco, $200 off at Best Buy, but $300 off.
a Costco includes an extra year of Apple Plus warranty.
So I got two years of warranty and, yeah.
So I'm going to Costco to pick it up.
Because I need a computer.
I need more of it.
Like,
because I have a laptop that like functions,
but it's not going to be able to stream stuff.
I really need like.
Dude, I got an M4 MacBook Pro for pretty good price.
So I mean,
I'll be actually be able to use a microphone in the show now.
Dude, that would be great.
Instead of doing your juju impersonation.
That would be the thing.
I don't understand.
It's honestly.
It sounds like better like this, which is the sad part.
But then I look like an agent from the Matrix.
So either way, either way, you already know what it is.
Send in those questions.
We will get to them in the second hour of the show.
But for right now, POD, if you'll go ahead and throw up this first story,
let's talk about the Batman part two as James Gunn sets the record straight on it.
So the Batman part two, James Gunn,
is sending the record straight on claims DC Studios plans to scrap the sequel.
This is brought to you by comic book movie and Mark Cassidy.
I'm sorry, Josh Wilding.
I'm smoking crack.
Sometimes you've got to read letters wrong.
Sometimes you see a letter to go, not those letters.
I'm going to say these letters.
It's all good.
All right, you guys scrolled out just a little bit more there, PLD.
It's fine with rumors once again swarming about James Gunn's supposed master plan to scrap.
The Batman franchise filmmaker has made it clear that DC Studios does and will continue
to support Matt Reeves.
Now, when DC Studios was formed, fans immediately started wondering what that meant for
the Batman franchise.
James Gunn was quick to assume, was quick to assure them.
Matt Reeves' plans for the Cape Crusader would play out as planned.
I'll bet at a time when the Brave and the Bold was also announced.
That meant that there would eventually be two different versions of the Dark Knight on screen
with Robert Pattinson's Batman competing.
with whoever plays the DCU version and vice versa.
The latter take on Bruce Wayne is expected to be vastly different, though,
with the focus on him training his son, 10-year-old Damian Wayne, as Robin.
D.C. Studios has since become involved with the Batman franchise,
giving notes on The Penguin and reportedly considering Turning Reeves' now scrapped Arkham TV series
into a DCU set project.
Gunn has been nothing but.
supportive of Reeves on social media, but for whatever reason, rumors continue to persist that
he plans to scrap the Batman franchise. It's baffling claim, because even if the filmmaker
would rather not have Andy Mushietti's movie facing off with Reeves' trilogy, there's no way Warner
Brothers' discovery is giving up on the Batman based on the franchise's critical and commercial
success. Now Gunn has once again weighed in on the rumors and set the record straight on where
things stand with the Batman Part 2. Like, why would you eat?
even believe a rando on social networking.
That's not social networking.
Come on, baby.
Social media.
Damn it gun. Of course not.
If it was canceled, it would be canceled.
Who has time for charades?
The exasperated Superman director exclaimed,
I've been one of Matt's biggest cheerleaders for years since Cloverfield and the
apes movies.
We are eagerly awaiting his script.
This comes after Gunn recently said there's no set timeline for anything when it comes
to Batman's plan DCU debut.
that's oh yeah we can read that quote we don't we don't need to it's fine we've we've talked about
that quote before where essentially he said that was last week's story where he said there was no
timeline for anything it's just give me a good script and and it's going to happen but until
we get the scripts we're not moving forward uh the badman part two is currently said to be released
in theaters october 2nd 2026 so coy you hear uh oh back to vertical plb please um you hear that
story
what
what kind of comes to my man
are you in any way
shape or form still concerned
that the Batman
two or the rest of this trilogy
might be somewhere
on the chopping block
or do you think between
the numbers the Batman did
the numbers the Penguin did
and probably the awards
that the penguin is going to get
once it's all said and done
do you think that this is safe
and this is much ado about nothing
the only thing
the only thing that's changed
that this quote
brings is my reverence for the patience of James Gunn. I've never been worried. I've never thought for a
moment that we weren't getting the Batman 2 since the Batman 1. I have been sure we'd get to the
Batman 2 when James Gunn made his position known because I'm sure it was like many months slash
you know a year or so in the negotiation. Like when we knew about James Gunn in that position,
even then I was like, well, he's made it pretty clear that the DCU is going to be severed from that.
Like, I think every step systematically through the DCU has been,
and Matt Reeves universe over here,
the only thing these articles are is like some sap making 12 cents and click through,
like, clickbait.
Like, it's not a thing.
Yeah.
So I like, I love that the culture of comic book movies and TV is so rich that people
want every little morsel.
Yeah.
The other side of that is us needing to do a show about a thing that's been disproven
87 times. So like I and we're you know people on the internet James Gunn walks down the street and
people are like the Batman too. So my reference for his patience grows every time I get impatient
going. Yeah, it's going be great when we see it because it's definitely happening. Why do we think it might
not? Like it's just madness. It is my take. No, I think it's the same thing. I still can't get past
him calling it. There's some random on social networking. I wonder if that was like a translation issue because
like James Scott is not an 87 year old from like a middle America like what I but that's that's why
that's why it could be so funny because he's still old enough I want to say if I remember correctly
he's in his like mid 50s but even like mid 50s on the coast I said no America not to judge middle
America but like people that are in the space totally get it but that's still like you know how like
now that we are getting up there coy you you're you're still you're still do the things you
but then occasionally that older man in you just comes out for no reason.
I have a feel like he was so annoyed.
He's just like,
you're just going to be on social networking
because he probably saw the social network like again,
you know,
a couple days ago.
So it just stuck in his brain.
That's,
that is where this story for me is where my heart is.
I love it.
Your whole thing is the word social networking.
Because it's not an actual concern.
So you're like,
I'm going to find this sentence fun.
It's,
it's literally,
nothing would be stupider
because I'll tell you this much.
I know that HBO
is under the Warner umbrella
and stuff like that, but as far as how they
operate, they only
like fully scrap
things
like continuing
if there is a problem
behind the scenes.
So unless, like, and I understand that
Zazlov doesn't care and has done
way worse things as far as
yeah, you know what, bad girl, get rid of it.
you know, Acme,
coyote versus Acme, get rid of it.
Like, that can be problematic at times.
But all that being said,
the one thing that he's not going to do
because he's damn near run Warner Brothers
into the ground,
he's not going to throw away
what is a billion dollar earner
has the potential to go again.
And like we just said about the penguin
is probably going to scoop up all the awards.
Like, the show was too good.
And I guarantee the Emmys are coming.
How can people even make ClickBid after the Penguin about this?
Like the, like, the, the, the, the, the penguin's whole thing was the bridge between the Batman one and two.
I'm confused how there's any single person left on the planet.
That's like, you know, after the success critically, financially, and amongst fans, they should really stop this.
Like, I don't understand the way to think that way.
Like, what's the logic in that?
Like, Matt Reeves is doing a dynamic duo with James Gudd.
Like, like, the Matt Reeves team, when they made the dynamic duo announcement, Matt Reeves was on that.
So like, yeah, the guy that's canceling a movie is not working with the guy that movie,
he's like, what, what?
Yeah, I, I, it's, it's interesting because I think that's the whole point.
I genuinely think that people, especially because the year is winding down, they, they feel like,
no, let's just push the buttons.
Like, you know, let's.
And December's great revenue for SEO, like, because, you know, right before the election is great
revenue and then right before Christmas is great revenue and then January is traditionally pretty
and this is something I'm keeping in mind is like you know YouTube payouts going to be tiny January
so like I think it's the last bastion of like news and then next year is you know creature
commandos starts in a week and so James Gunn's going to be able to have actual conversations
while promoting creature commandos going right into Superman so it's these idiots last like
it's not happening like it's their last clickbait so get it out and
now you in cells. And that's, and that, and that and that's it. Because, like, the funny thing is, as far as, as, you know, like, comic book movie, because we report on a lot of stuff that they put up, like, it doesn't even feel like it's something that they were like, and then we went and found James Gunner be like, so you're canceling the Batman too. Like, they really are just reporting on the things that are coming out. So clearly people have decided to poke the bear and just be like, so you canceled it, right? You canceled it, right? You're canceling it. Come on. Come on. Come on. Just tell us you canceled it. Like, it's just, I, I, like you said, I think James Gunn,
has the patience of Buddha
and really
you know and really just keeps
answering all these stupid questions
that come over and over and over again
but it is what it is
I don't blame people you do like they're
concerned DC has not
been very quality over the last
few years you've had gems
again like the Batman
like the penguin
but I think that's exactly why you got to
remember that they're just fine
you know what I'm saying that there's no world
in which they go, we can't do that.
Now, again, we've discussed multiple times.
Are people going to get confused with two Batman?
I don't think so.
I really don't.
The tones are so different.
And especially if you are very clear,
since the Brave and the Bold is a ways out,
like we don't even have a script yet.
So like, with it being so far out,
who knows, you could be wrapping up the trilogy
by the time the Brave and the Bold.
And I personally love it's, you know,
wait for the scripts to be gone.
and then have the conversation.
You know, I'm not in a rush.
Like, we're gonna,
I'd rather have quality stuff come out when it's ready
than try to hit certain markers that you set for yourself.
Like, don't put a release date out in a movie
that script isn't done and then have to chase a date
that you yourself put out there.
I just, I think this is a better way to do it.
Yeah, no, I fully, fully agree with you, man.
But we're curious what you think, man.
Let us know, you can throw those super chats in, man.
We greatly, greatly appreciate it.
let us know what you think are you
is this again a nothing burger or are you genuinely
concerned is this something that you're worried about and
you know James Gunn saying believing a random
on social networking is why you're afraid because you hear
that phrase that he was clearly flustered. I got to hear the sound like
I got to hear too I wish I had it. I really do
because I got to hear him like just a
random social networking. He's like the most prolific
person on social media. He managed
to get like break news on Twitter threads,
blue sky like the guy that's everywhere
saying social networking, if true.
What's funny is I won't,
I have no worries about the Batman too.
As soon as I hear someone saying that,
I'm like,
that's the clickbait.
I will argue against this phrasing.
Well, let us know, y'all,
throw in those questions.
And while we're doing that,
I feel like now is a good time.
We've been talking about Black Friday.
We've been talking about
getting things to improve your life.

I like Mando because it's smooth, baby.
But I like when I'm in the shower and I'm using any of the Mando stuff, I'm like, oh, I can just,
I smell wonderful.
And I didn't know how I was going to work before I even knew about Mando.
And then now that I do, I can't go back.
I love deodorant is wonderful.
It is safe to use anywhere in your body.
You can use it on your pits.
You can use it on your nuts.
You can use it on your thigh.
No matter what, your belly button, your butt.
There's a lot of different variety of fresh scents that you can do.
Bourbon leather is the one.
I talked to Winston about one.
That's the one I think he uses, too.
12 hours after the shower, the average man's grunder loader level was 5 out of 10.
With Mando, the average grondoloder level is a zero.

I really got to say, man, I think the funniest part is like, hey, first of all,
let me apologize for calling it, Avaya, as Christian said, like 50 times in that ad.
There was a typo here on what was going on.
But I am a huge fan of the fact that we have got both of these sponsors, man.
It is super, super dope.
Like Christian mentioned, the sleep one, it's always very nice to be able.
to relax and whatnot and be able to help get to sleep.
So again, and then we have talked about Mando before.
It does help.
I'm going to be honest with you.
Your boy be out here, throwing them weights around.
So you got to make sure you ain't smelling funky while you in the gym.
Coy, have you had a chance to try out Mando yet, bro?
I do like Mando because I struggle with aggressive smelling deodorant because then it's like
an odorant and then it's like a cologne.
And like I personally don't like people knowing I'm coming before I walk in the room.
by a cent, whether it's pro or con.
So yeah, I like Mando, because it's like a neutral.
Yeah, no, absolutely, man, absolutely.
So all right, well, thank you so much to both Vaya and Amanda for sponsoring the show.
Let's hop on to the next story.
And that is talking about studios blaming Deadpool and Wolverine for existing.
This is ridiculous.
They're blaming them for the surge and moviegoers filming scenes on their phone.
So let's talk about this.
This is Josh Wilding from Comic
with Movies. This past weekend movie lovers on social media
were once again debating theater etiquette.
Wicked is full of memorable scenes and unforgettable musical numbers,
including a triumphant final act for addition
of Defined Gravity by Cynthia Irvo.
Even if you haven't watched the musical,
chances are you've seen footage of that online
because it's somehow become the norm
for people to take their phones out
and either record full scenes or take photos in Wicked's case,
the opening titles.
Bridie has shared an interesting piece on the controversies,
speaking to one anonymous studio executive pointed the finger at Deadpool and Wolverine.
Something happened post-pandemic where movie theater behavior has really changed.
The unnamed exec told the trade.
They have a different relationship with the material.
It's all just content to them.
Something really happened with Deadpool and Wolverine.
They're referring to the fact that filmmaker Sean Levy and stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman
all shared bootleg footage from fans of
various scenes while promoting the Marvel Studios
sequel online. Rather than
those expos being hit by the usual
copyright warnings, they were allowed
to rack up countless views to spread awareness
and excitement, as you can see
in the example below, which
ultimately did get taken down.
Reynolds' spokesperson didn't
return requests for comment,
and Levy chose to say nothing. However,
a source familiar with Levy's thinking said
he never intentionally shared
material shot in theaters and is strongly opposed
to privacy. A piracy. A piracy.
piracy. Meanwhile, Universal Pitchers did not comment on the wicked piracy, but a source with knowledge of the company said internal teams are active in removing the illegal footage in most cases.
Sounds like studios aren't equipped to deal with platforms like X, Instagram, and TikTok being flooded with bootleg clips, while they act fast to remove full leaks on torrent websites, for example, taking down countless individual posts requires a completely different approach they're simply not ready for.
This comes after Dwayne the Rock Johnson encouraged moviegoers to sing during the Mawanna.
of two strings. Those comments have been widely condemned by film lovers.
There you see this tweet here from Sean Levy. Rarely have Ryan Rellis and I had more fun
writing anything for anybody who Jackman took this speech and used every word as a murder weapon.
Wolverine might be the only character in the cinematic universe to shut up Deadpool. Oh,
that scene where he's cussing out in the van, I'm assuming is what that link goes to.
Yep, this last part is just saying that who's in Deadpool, Wolverine, which is now available on digital 4K.
I need to go buy that 4K immediately.
I don't trust them that they're not going to, you know, I'm actually taking off streaming at some point.
All right, Coy, I have so many thoughts, but I want to hear your side of this first year opinion.
Do you actually think that this is Deadpool and Wolverine's fault, or do you think that this studio exec clearly doesn't pay attention?
to people because I feel like he doesn't pay attention or she doesn't pay attention to people.
What I think is funny is I agree with like 80% of what they had to say except they're one
finger pointing. I do think that post-pandemic audiences relationship is different. I do think
that we are commodifying everything and making it content instead of art. I talk about it all the time.
I think it's really disgusting what we like what we do is content. We discuss art. Like this isn't
art, it's two people discussing, and that's okay, because it's different. If someone wants to
film us talking on YouTube, weird, but go for it. But like, if... It's happened.
Oh, dude, people... The amount of, like, uh, I love the montages of really angry people making
super cuts of me saying things about, like, supporting minority groups and, like, being an advocate
and becoming, like, part of a team.
Look at this shill, marrying a black woman, so Winston will think he's cool, and then saying,
he likes Black Panther, so Winston would think he's cool.
You just like shilling to black people, boy.
It's great because it helps me find other creators I might actually like.
It gives me like a shortcut.
Like when I look at someone say something after me,
it can be like, oh, look, it's other people that I might see the world like.
So I appreciate those people for taking all the time to save me time to find other creators.
But I think it's really short-sighted to blame any one movie because Deadpool Wolverine
came out this year.
The pandemic lockdown was four years ago.
So the four years between then, this has been happening.
And so a lot of movies have had bootlegging.
And movies since movies and video cameras existed, like I remember, you know,
bootleg VHSs with camcorders.
I don't know how people snuck them in, were they trench coats?
Was it three kids stacked high in a trench coat with a VHS recorder?
We've had them.
So I don't think it's fair to blame one movie.
I do think the relationship is different, especially with TikTok culture.
are encouraging reactions in theater, which is gross, with it encouraging, people interacting,
which is gross.
If you want to sing in the movie, find a sing-along screening.
Do not affect my experience because, yeah, you paid 20 bucks.
So did I.
I do not want to hear you.
I want to hear the movie.
So the movie theater is as close to church as I'll ever understand.
Don't ruin it for the people that want to be there for the movie.
And that's what's happening.
So, yeah, I agree with some of what they had to say, but I'm curious your thoughts.
I think, well, just to that last point about the.
singing in the theaters. I think that there is
two ways that you go about it. I think one,
there needs to be a general understanding. If you're going to go
to a black movie theater, it's like going to theater,
and going to black theater is the audience interacting.
I'm just going to be real. The greatest movie-going experience that I had
was going to see Get Out at the Black Movie Theater.
When I tell these stories all the time where like
you got the moment where you got a, you got a,
you got a few different things, but you remember at one point when
he's looking through all the photos of the various people
that she's kidnapped for her family over the years.
This one, this one random woman goes,
oh shit, they got Tyrone and DeRail and Jamal and Aquisha.
Hey, you better get out.
Like, like yell this as they're going through the photos and people are dying laughing.
Or later on, you got, you got, uh, when she's eating her cereal
with the milk and the colored separator that people pointed out
and like the idea of separation while looking at NCAA recruits.
And so this woman goes, this bitch.
Like it's that kind of thing is just we understand culturally.
If you go here, that's probably going to happen.
Now that being said, unless it is the Eros Tour movie,
the Renaissance movie, where it's literally this is the concert movie version of something.
so by all means that's just what's going to happen.
If you're going to do that with like a Moana,
make it specifically Moana to sing along show.
Yeah, like have have it like they have some with captions on the screen
and they have some with like they have screens showing different times for different things
at a sing-along if you want.
But that's separate because I don't want to experience that ever in a million years.
Absolutely.
You couldn't pay me to see that, much less me have to pay for it.
And I think if you.
do that, what you can set up with that already as is, you are allowing people that want to do that,
their own personal space to go and be a part of that. You're allowing people that just want to see
the movie to also go and do that. And I think the theaters need to do that because you're already
getting a situation where, and what you should do for the ones that aren't the sing-alongs,
make it very well known. If you need to have an usher come in, hey, because we all-
Alamo draft house. Yes, exactly. So it's like because we have this other option here,
please do not talk or sing during this movie. You can even film because you know at the beginning,
don't text, don't write. Like that whole thing, you can even go, don't text, don't write, don't film
the movie. However, you did join the sing-along version. So by all means, sing to your heart's
content. Dude, there's 30 minute blocks when the big movies come out, right? Like a two, a two-30, a three,
have the two-clock be your sing-al-al-hack-house, have the three, have them all be different things.
But I would then mean that one of those screens has like an usher in the movie like Arkite used to that is my like have an influencer screening that says inf next to it and have all those fucks film all they want.
Like I don't care.
But I want a real screening.
But that's kind of piracy as it is.
I mean, I guess you could you could you like because what?
The rule of thumb is if you got like you got about seven seconds or something like that.
Yeah, yeah.
But that's what I mean.
If they want to grab those moments, I don't want to see that once in a regular screening.
If they want to have, they're filming themselves with the light of the screen and they want to react, I think it's disgusting.
But I'd rather that be its own screen rather than the people busted out in a regular showing.
No, I agree.
But I, but that's the other thing to me.
Like, I get it that people's mentality has changed a little bit, that people will pull their phone out and record stuff.
So I'll give that exact some credit.
But I'm also like, I think you're really out of touch.
You literally sit, clearly this person is not black because I'm telling you, as any black person you know, Koi, and I'm not.
trying to make it a racing thing.
The barbershop always has the damn bootlegs.
Somebody is always like, hey, man, I got it all, bro.
I got, I got Wicked.
I got Deadpool.
What?
I got a Gladiator 2.
What you want, dog.
Hey, man, I got a Craven.
That ain't even out yet.
You want that Craven?
I got that.
I got it on lock.
Nobody knows how he ended up getting Craven two weeks before it's out.
But somehow he did.
So, like, that's the only thing to me that is funny to pretend like piracy is an
already a thing.
And not just the bootlegs at the barbershop, as was mentioned, those websites have been around forever.
So, like, to pretend like that's not a thing is weird, but I will give the idea that now it is commonplace to put this stuff on social media.
That's what shifted is, I think, since the pandemic.
And that's also TikTok.
Like, the TikTok culture is really different than what, and even YouTube culture is changing because of TikTok culture.
And Twitter is obviously its own problem now.
Like, they're all different, like, plagues.
And so the plague of TikTok is affecting movie theaters.
Yeah.
No, I mean, the last thing I was going to say is like thinking about it.
It's not like we weren't doing it because one of my favorite moments of the run of endgame was people sharing.
Like the collective gasp of on your left and the screaming of.
assembled like that so like it already and that was 2019 right pre-pendemic right that's what i'm saying
like it's gotten worse is what i'm speaking to it's existed since we've had handheld cameras of any
kind that's why i brought up to three kids in a trench coat people snug VHS camcorders in somehow
and they were the size of like you know a laptop so it's it's always been a problem yeah no
absolutely man absolutely absolutely but y'all
hear that let us know what you think man first of all you know we're trying to get to 82 today we're
trying to be or 83 technically 82 to tie 83 to pass we're trying to get past roca so let uh throw in those
questions man throwing those super chaps and that super chats and everything but what do you think
is this a situation where you think things have gotten out of hand and if so tell us a story man like
what was some of the wildest stuff you've seen or you think that this is being blown out of
proportion and it's not that big of a deal.
I'm very, very curious on y'all's
thoughts. Let us know
in the super chats in the comments, man.
Our next story
that we've got to jump into here
is one about creature commandos.
So James
Gunn reveals Aletudic's
voices characters with major
ties to the metalman. Man, man, I haven't heard
that name in a while. Yeah, dude.
All right. So
this is Josh Wadding in a comic book movie.
Creature Commandos is very nearly here, and while Rick Flagg, Sr. clearly has a bright feature in the DCU, only time will tell what becomes of Task Force M's other members.
Regardless, James Gunn has assembled a terrific cast for the animated Mac series, and in an interview with Collider, he revealed more exciting DCU casting news.
Peter, how do I pronounce that Sarah Sera Finowitz?
Yeah, that's the actor.
Okay. Peter Serafittowitz, as Dr. Frankenstein, is great, Guntees.
Alan Tudick as Will Magnus. His performance is based on Mike Nichols, who he did play with one time.
There are just so many fun things in there. If that name rings a bell, it's because Magnus is the brilliant scientist who occasionally suffers from debilitating mental in in his, responsible for creating the metal men.
He also serves as a general robotics expert among the superhero community, and we bet on him.
having ties to GI robot and creature commandos.
Whether this means we'll see the metalman in the DCU is a mystery,
though Gunn has since taken the threads to say,
as it was always stated,
we plan on the actor playing the same role for primary castings.
If it's a minor character in Creature Commandos,
we didn't do live action far and wide searches like we did for more sizable characters
like Circe and a Circe, Nina, etc.
In other words, Walt Toadic, for example,
has a voice of minor characters like Magnus and Clayface in this show.
Oh, Clayface in the Creature Commandos?
What?
It didn't necessarily mean he'll reprise the role and live action down the line.
Logistically, that makes a lot of sense.
Back to that interview.
Gunn made sure to praise the show's entire cast, Harbor as Frankenstein
Grillo, just being able to deliver the whole time, Zoe Zhao,
who was fantastic in the show.
Indra Varma, who's fantastic as the bride.
Then also, Michael Roker is Sam in episode three, such a pathetic, sad guy and so different from the characters that Roker has normally done.
He also cleared up some recent continuity confusion.
Peacemaker's Season 1 is basically canon outside of the appearance of the Justice League.
We kind of talked about this last week, which you'll see something about in Peacemaker's season 2.
We explained Suicide Squad is probably a little bit looser.
We know that Rick Flagg Sr. is angry because his son was killed by peacemakers, so we know that situation happened in the past.
something to refer to to think of what it might be like that happened but that exists as
canon because it was mentioned in creature commandos not necessarily because it existed in suicide
squad i think of suicide squad and peacemaker is pretty unreliable memories of what happened in the
DCU he concluded okay it's and i didn't hear that last part about the unreliable memories before
it's probably the best explanation we've had to date in the whole thing perhaps isn't as confusing
as it's arguably come across in previous comments from the filmmaker on social media
Creature Commandos premieres on Max on December 5th.
Check back here for more.
All righty.
So, you know, I think that it's one of those things that Alan Tudick is just such a prolific
voice actor.
He's a prolific actor in general, but it's such a prolific voice actor.
I think it was easy to be like, hey, my guy, can you come over here and do the thing
real quick?
Because, you know, even though he didn't, gun didn't work on Doom Patrol, like,
Tudek has done a lot of D.C. stuff already.
And I think that that might have been like, even though he already loves Tudik on his own,
just probably being like, hey, bro, you already do so much for them.
Would you be willing to come and join Creature Commandos and do some voices and stuff?
And I think that that's probably what ended up going on.
But, Coy, what do you think about all of this, man?
I think Tuduk is such a talent.
I've moderated panels with him before.
And he is, like, he can change three voices to have a conversation with himself on stage.
and they feel like different people
and you're sitting next to him.
To see him work in life is so impressive.
And he's one of my favorite things he does.
And this is unrelated.
But he signs whatever he has on him.
So he'll bring a bag like Santa of stuff.
Sometimes it's stolen from like the hotel room,
like coffee pot and like stuff he picks up on the way to the con.
Like literal pure chaos.
And then he'll sign it doing voices and he'll sign it as the character or as Alan Tudick,
depending on what they want.
But it's like the most insane stuff.
Like he'll take stuff off.
walls and so like the man is insane and i love him dearly one of my favorite people to host for
because he feels like 20 people when i host an all intutic panel i feel like i'm hosting for a panel
of actors because it's one man times 20 um so him as anyone i'm always excited for him as multiple people
i'm more excited for because i know what he brings to a project um this has me excited like these are
names you don't get to hear a lot this is a lot of like comic book lore come to life that
excites me. And I love this idea of canon because that's how I always see canon. Like when you read a
comic book, the writer is looking at 70 years of lore in some cases. The writer is looking at 20 years of
lore in some cases. And no matter what, they're picking and choosing what works for that storyline.
So it makes sense that if it's mentioned, well, it's canon to the storyline. I think that's also
life. Like in our life, history is written by the victors, unfortunately. And,
We were raised to think that Columbus was a nice guy until recently compared to the scale of America.
So I think that canon events are also something that happened in our life because we celebrate Thanksgiving a little differently than we did in the 90s.
So I don't know.
I think it's all relative to the story being told.
No, I fully agree.
I mean, just on the Alentudic level, man, I didn't talk about it.
Like, I just wanted to pull up the sheer amount of things that he's done, right?
So he was Green Arrow in Young Justice, the Injustice game series and an infinite crisis game.
He was Simon and Captain Cold in Young Justice.
He's the Flash in Batman the Brave and the Bold.
He was Superman in Justice League War.
He was the Joker, Clayface Calendar Man, Dr. Trap, Condiment Man, and several other characters of the Harley Quinn show.
Master!
Master!
He was Van Wayne in the powerless show.
Obviously, we know he's also got Dr.
Dr. Phosphorus in Creature Commandos,
but I think probably my favorite thing that he has done DC-wise
has been Mr. Nobody in Doom Patrol.
He was fantastic, and that actually makes sense now
with you talking about him being, like, crazy in a good way,
why he played Mr. Nobody so well.
Well, like, did you watch the show?
I've seen clips of him because I love him.
Dude, you got to, it's honestly a very good show.
Like, especially that first season, that first season broke my brain with how good that
show was.
It was, it was wild, man.
That was around the time when I first started doing stuff with Jay.
We were reviewing Doom Patrol.
And it was just chaos.
It was pure chaos.
So, like, plug for an old DC show, it should be on Max still, man.
Doom Patrol is crazy. But, but yeah, I, I think that this is just a moment where Gunn was like,
here's a talent, we need to fill stuff out, voiceover stuff is already different. You heard just in
Harley Quinn how many characters he was doing. So his main character was the Joker, but like you see
with most voiceover actors, if you watch like Futurama, it's like five, six actors there,
and then they're covering the spread of everybody. Same thing with the Simps. He's also Clayface in
the Harley Quinn show, which is a lead that is completely opposite of
Joker. Like, those are arguably two
supporting leads and they could not be more different.
Yes. Dude, especially because he's playing
Clayface really deep
into the whole idea of him
being just this failed actor.
Exactly. He's like, now
I get to play Mr.
Freeze. And then it turns
of...
Dude, I just started watching that show. It's immaculate.
I, my fiance, we watched
some of the newer stuff and she loved it. So we went back to the
beginning. We're on like episode five of season one. That show is
Pitch perfect. It's so good.
It is so good. I still need to watch Kiteman.
I hate that I didn't watch Kiteman. Hell yeah.
But I heard that that was also very, very good.
But yeah, this seems like par for the course.
I'm not, I'm not, none of those, none of that was really that shocking or new.
I think the one little bit that I didn't previously hear about Peacemaker and Suicide Squad being canon is the specific quote of its unreliable memories.
I think that that's actually a very good thing to hear out loud and a good explanation specifically.
Because it's always like, well, some of it's canon, some of it's not.
If it's like an unreliable storyteller type situation, I don't know, it kind of happened like this.
To me, that's like a funny way to go about it and feels very up the alley of peacemaker or anybody in that kind of like shoot of the DCEU.
they would be unreliable storytellers.
I'm sure they are probably traveling cross dimensions
as we talked about,
but that's probably why they're confused.
They're like, no, man,
because then like, you know, Aquaman came along.
I was talking about them effing a fish and blah, blah, blah,
like that's, yeah, yeah.
They're like, what are you?
Who is Aquaman?
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, I can see that kind of going down.
Yeah, and I like that we're going to find out, you know,
starting soon.
It's one week till Creature Commandos,
and then basically next year,
like Superman,
is in July, but that's going to be a crazy lead-up of finding out what the DCU is shaped, as I
imagine. So, like, it's going to be, I don't know, like, we didn't know how big the MCU was going
to be. And then the universal dark did not take off. And a bunch of other shared universes
have bad, like little starts and stops. I'm really excited to see something that feels like, you know,
it's got some pacing already figured out. It has some ideas and there's a shape. And it's got to be
fun to see something assembled, for lack of a better term. No, I fully.
fully agree with that. All right, so let us know what you think, y'all. Let us know if you're feeling the same way. If you feel like, again, this makes standard sense that, you know, a very talented actor and VO artists would be doing, you know, multiple characters and not necessarily associated with the live acts and stuff. You can save Allen for something that that makes a lot of sense and all that. Let us know what you think. PLD, real quick, what's the count so far on the questions as we're trying to push into 82 today? Uh-oh.
Uh-oh, did PLD leave?
He just abandoned us.
He's done.
He's like, we're good.
I'm out.
Uh-oh.
I guess we'll never know.
Oh, oh, there it is.
We have 12.
Oh, no.
Guys, I get it.
I think we're going to make it.
I don't know if we're going to make it.
I'm going to say, let's, let's think positively here.
And let's, let's remind y'all, Roka hit 82.
Don't let Roka have this.
Don't do this to us on this.
Don't do this.
Please.
We could have had the day off.
We opted to come.
We had the day off and we said, no, we have to bring you a show.
We had to do it.
We talked to Christian about it.
We like, no, we got to get it done.
So we've only got 12 right now.
I did see a massive super check come in.
Thank you so much.
Next time, break that.
With that into 25.
Into 25 little ones, bro.
One word each.
I'm not stopping.
One word per.
I know it's annoying, but I would really,
and your credit card company would probably be like,
this is fraud.
Why?
By the 12th one.
And we wouldn't know the whole sentence.
By the 12th one,
we're not going to approve this.
Sorry.
But no,
please,
please,
please.
We would appreciate y'all sending that stuff in
and get those questions going.
We're trying to win,
baby.
That's what we win,
baby win.
All right.
We got one more story for you.
And this one is pretty exciting.
For those that did not hear,
there is a rumor.
Popping off that Marvel Studios has said,
do it.
Give me the Hulk versus.
This is Wolfrene.
So this is Josh Wilding at comic book movie.
It's been a lot of chatter online about this for a while,
but if a new rumor is to be believed Marvel Studios is officially moving forward with a Hulk versus
Wolverine movie.
That's easy to forget, but The Incredible Hulk was right there alongside Ironman in 2008 when
the Marvel Cinematic Universe launched.
The movie was neither a hit nor a flop, but given the tepid response to the reboot
and behind the scenes issues with actor Edward Norton,
it soon became the franchise's black sheep.
Wright's issues also came into play,
and it wasn't until 2022 She-Hulk Attorney-at-Law that The Incredible Hulk
was referenced in a meaningful way.
Next up is the leader's return in February's Captain America Brave New World.
There have been rumblings for at least the past year or two
about a World War Hulk or Hulk's movie being in development at Marvel Studios.
There's no way we'll see that before Vendor's Secret Wars,
and a new rumor points to there being other plans for the jade giant moving forward.
According to Scooper, My Time to Shine, Hello, Marvel Studios has begun actively developing a Hulk versus Wolverine movie.
There's no word on what form this project will take or which variance of these characters we can expect to see square off.
It could be another multiversal adventure starring Hugh Jackman and Mark Ruffalo, for example, or perhaps a story set in whatever the MCU looks like after the supposed soft reboot, Secret Wars will look.
lead to. If it's the latter, then we might see a new actor play Wolverine with Hulk
factoring into his origin story similar to their first clash in the comics. Logan then
working for Department H. battled the Green Goliath during his first appearance in 1974's
Incredible Hulk number 180. For what it's worth, Jackman has been rooting for this team up since
at least 2014. There's no doubt he'll get in a fight with Hulk at some point, the actor said
at the time. Those two bad rage-filled characters are going to score off at some point.
It would be quite fun. I don't know how much fun to shoot it would be because I'm sure I'd be on the worst end of it, but hey, he can heal.
In 2020, he added, Wolverine would beat the Hulk for sure. Let's just be very clear. I don't know if you know this, but the Wolverine actually appeared first in a Hulk comic.
He was like a, he was like a last page, some guy coming. So it was the Hulk series he appeared.
So that's sort of where that feud came from.
And then Wolverine sort of took on this whole life.
So I'm sure the Hulk is very jealous.
Deadpool and Wolverine tease the clash,
but it seems Marvel Studios might be saving the full fight for its own movie somewhere down the line.
All righty.
Coy, you hear that.
We are potentially that this rumor is circulating that we're getting this Hulk versus Wolverine movie.
Are you here for it?
Or you're like, we've already, you know, we've already.
you know, we've already, like, got these two characters established.
I don't need to see it.
It's not that big of a deal.
I think it's a smart idea for a new Wolverine or new Hulk.
I definitely think we need to get back to rage-filled Hulk.
I think Smart Hulk has run its course.
So if that means we get Rage Hulk, because, like,
Smart Hulk wouldn't fight Wolverines.
That would imply, you know, rage-filled Hulk.
I love the idea of nodding at the first appearance.
They did a really good job in Deadpool and Wolverine with that.
I think it was, what issue is it?
It's a Todd McFarlane cover.
I think it's in Cruc,
341, but the cover where, you know,
the mirroring in his claws,
like that felt like it would have been the scene
if they weren't saving it for something else.
Like, I feel like we would have got Wolverine
versus Hulk and Deadpool Wolverine
if there was no plan to eventually do it.
So that could mean, you know,
it's very loose and there could be an idea down the line.
It could be something happening sooner.
But either way, it did feel very consciously,
like, let's save this.
I don't, I mean, again,
this is, it's an iconic thing from the comic books,
and that's what it feels like the internet just does now.
I could just type like Spider-Man in black suit, in Spider-Man 4,
and then I just put up a picture of Amazing 252,
and everybody's like, it's happening.
Like, it's just someone making a couple bucks by saying a thing is happening.
I just, I really struggle with this rumor-based internet phase.
Is it worth talking about, sure?
I mean, look, I-
said something. Like, I can walk down the street and I can be like a studio executive.
It could be the guy cleaning the trash out at Sony. But I, but I would trust him just, just from the
standpoint of like, because he's going through the studio exec's trash. All that shit is shredded and he goes,
and they didn't keep it. That's trash. You know, and I'd be like, tell me about you. You have
never watched Mission Impossible. The mission didn't stop when the suitcase blew up. You have 10 seconds
before this message self-destructs, Koi.
Did Sony get the rights to Hulk and Wolverine in the last?
five minutes. Did I miss something? Why does Sony have it in their trash? Well, look, man, first of all,
you made this fantasy up. Not me. Don't bring me into this. I'm saying it's that not credible.
I'm saying it wasn't credible. Nah, it was a memo being sent over and we want Spider-Man to come in real
quick and go, damn, that's crazy. And that leap you just made is the leaps the internet makes to
make this stuff true for one more new cycle. It's about to be quoted on another article right now.
100%. Scoop broken. Winston-Marsal from the Capes and Cowell show has said that Spider-Man
will appear in Wolf and we'll have one line. Damn, that's crazy. His source Sony trash guy.
That the theoretical Sony trash guy that nobody knows the real name. We won't actually watch the
clip of us discussing it. It's just the sound bite that is. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
It's crazy. I mean, look, it's, it's again, that's why you lead with it being called a rumor. What
are you going to say outside? Like the minute you say it, people can't get mad in the same way
that if you're talking about stuff, you've got like anything that's going on. Um, oh my God,
uh, uh, uh, with like legal battles. So just for example, all the stuff going on with Diddy.
Um, every time you report on that, you got to say allegedly because the trial is still going
on unless somebody is actually convicted and all that kind of stuff. It's all allegedly until it all
plays out. So it's the same thing by saying rumor that Marvel Studios is moving,
for it with the movie. It's rumors. So you can be like, all right, I'm going to take it with a
grain of salt. It might be happening. It might not be happening. It'd be cool if it happened,
but it is what it is. We'll see what goes on. So this one just feels like it doesn't have anything
except for someone saw that their first appearance was together. And then that scene and they were like,
it's happening. Like this one just, there's rumors and then there's like fabrications.
I mean, I get it. I get it. And, and you know, the funny thing is, is like them doing that,
I think is more them realizing, look, Hugh Jackman wants to play some more.
we can get him to stay kind of on for a little bit
and then find other unique ways to do it
because it sounds like there will probably be
like we had already heard they're still looking at a Deadpool
for with him and Wolverine
but we've already heard rumors of
a Deadpool and Spider-Man team up
so then it also makes sense
you might have another one over here with Hulk Warburne
I mean all of these would be good things and duos would be great
like what you're describing like I'd love to see
you know things that feel like big moments
that don't have to have 35 cast members.
Like, I love that.
So, yeah, I'm all for it if it's true.
Absolutely.
Like, I mean, like, to that point,
there would be something really fun about,
if not full movie.
Like, I would love for them to do the same thing I was talking about with,
if you want to see what the other Spider-Man have been up to,
give a 90-minute movie to McGuire,
give a 90-minute movie to Garfield.
And what have you been doing?
What have you been doing?
How cool would it be if we actually got to, like,
that comic thing where it's like, and in this issue of Captain America, Black Panther.
And like Black Panther shows up for like a 90 minute little whatever.
And they're doing like a 90 minute movie.
And then you have a movie for Dr. Strange.
And it's a 90 minute movie and he teams up with Blade.
And then you have a Spider-Man movie.
And it's a 90-minute movie.
Like the idea of you give us an amalgamation of you went to the comic shop and you
read all of the trades, all of the issues that came out.
And it would be.
And in this one like you used to see on the little panel up at the top,
this one features Spider-Man and the thing
and, you know, Deadpool.
I think if we can get budgets more reasonable,
that would have been a really cool thing to do
as special events on TV on the Disney Plus.
I think if we get the budget reasonable,
it would be a good way to have more sustainable stuff in theaters.
But you know what I mean?
Like, it would need to be in that 100 to 150 range,
not in that 250, 300 range.
Right.
So if you could do that with two characters.
Now, obviously, Hulk is not something you can do a low-budget version of.
But, like some characters like you're describing,
I would love a road trip comedy with Spider-Man and Deadpool because the dialogue is the fun for me.
So like, yes, please.
Because I'll tell you, for all of the, like, I understand people not liking She-Hulk,
I personally did with the exception of the ending.
But I think, for example, what I kind of described was literally the episode with Daredevil.
He kind of like popped in almost as if it was like a She-Hulk comic and was available just for that one issue.
And then like, discipline, like, okay, peace at the beginning of the next issue.
And then that was it.
Like, that to me is the way you want to be using characters that kind of flow in and out,
especially in, like you said, the TV element of it.
I think that that's how you stay close to your comic lore, but make it, you know, a visual medium outside of, like, you know,
well, obviously comics are a visual media, but you know what I mean, like a movie or a TV show.
But either way, I'm curious what y'all think, would you actually go and see a Hulk and Wolverine movie?
Is that something that you would get excited about?
or it's just it's a rumor like Koi said, who cares?
Like that, why are you reporting this?
I only got sassy because this one felt like it came out of nowhere and got tons of
people like thinking it was true.
I'm okay with rumors being reported as rumors, which is why I'm okay doing it here.
Like we talk about rumors.
My problem is the internet, they cut out that first word rumor and then it's everywhere.
And then all of a sudden people are asking where that movie is and it's not Marvel's
fault.
It was never real.
So it's just that needs to be.
context. Well, that's the thing that's wild to me. If you don't, let me tell you this right now.
You can talk about whatever said rumors and get hype about stuff all you want. If you do not see
an official release from a studio, stop it. Like, like, like, it's all just speculation that you get
to go. We used to do that back when we were kids, bro. I don't know if you remember we were like,
hey, man, and I heard that they do in a Power Rangers Ninja Turtle movie, bro. They're going to do
a crossover because like that was so good and the Pirates movie good and they all do martial arts.
It's going to be crazy.
That never happened.
And as long as you know, that's what it is, that's all I'm speaking to.
It's like, you know, my little tirade is just about context.
As long as people know that it's a rumor and we're talking about a rumor that might
have been said by Sony's Trash Guy, then that's okay with me.
It's when people take it as the gospel, then it's a problem.
Exactly.
No, that is exactly, exactly true.
So let us know what you think.
Send in those super chats.
So again, we are aiming for 82 here.
or we're trying to get to 83 to beat Roca.
PLD says we are at 19.
Ooh, come on, y'all.
I believe in you.
I believe in you.
You could do this.
We got 55 minutes to figure it out.
If we don't get there, I mean, I guess we'll end up ending the show early,
but we're definitely going to try.
So, again, we had a lot of stuff we talked about.
Let's see, you got whatever Thanksgiving food you made or ate,
definitely throw that in there.
I'm very curious.
on what people were munching down on.
We talked about the Batman, too, still happening to not worry.
We talked about what studio execs blaming Deadpool and Wolverine for piracy, Alan Tudick,
and we just finished wrapping up about Hulk versus Wolverine.
So let us know what's going on.
Again, send in a bunch of Tuddin.
I appreciate it.
Somebody said in a $50 one, like I mentioned earlier.
Thank you so much for the generous super chat.
Set in the little cheap ones.
Like, send in that, hi, Yoshi.
Hi.
Is your foot asleep again?
Okay.
Hi.
Hi.
Yes, it is.
She's hopping around like a, like she injured.
But either way, send all of that in.
We're up to 20 now.
Great.
All right.
So I think I can see them.
Listen, plug your channel.
Oh, right.
Let's do plugs.
Let's start with Coy.
Go ahead.
P-L-D.
Give him the spotlight, man.
Throw him on on the solo, dolo.
Follow me.
At C-O-J-N-D-R-E-A-U.
Later on today,
I'm going live probably about 2 o'clock.
I do the comic side of stuff.
I really focus on the comics themselves.
I go through 70 comics a week and then I give you my favorite nine.
I try to make them the most approachable as well as my favorites of the week.
And I bring you all the comic book news that has been confirmed by the studios,
that has been confirmed by someone that isn't a trash guy.
And I really try to make it clear what's actually happening.
Every single week I do that show.
I also am reviewing Doom Prophecy.
I'm also going to be reviewing Creature Commandos.
also going to be reviewing Spider-Man in January.
So every big genre content show reviewed, every big movie on Fridays reviewed, plus a weekly show about comics in December.
The goal is I've outlined like 39 things to drop in those 31 days, which might kill me.
But I'd like you to be there for my death rattle of content.
So head it over to my page, please.
We're almost at 40K.
And I really, really appreciate growing my own page.
I do lots of guest appearances everywhere.
I'm trying to grow my own.
And last thing, next week, I think.
Tuesday, I got a pretty cool announcement coming, so stay tuned for an announcement from me.
And Winston is better at editing. I'm going to use my plug time to plug Winston's channel,
because then it's like, you know, me being selfless because Winston won't say it.
His editing is like some of the best I've seen in the YouTube space, like for a solo person,
not like outsourcing it. And the stuff he's making, like, he's funny and he's good at this.
So that plus the editing, it's a really undervalued page. So get in while he actually has time
to respond to all the comments, because there'll be a dead.
like I'm approaching.
I can't hit everybody and I'm trying.
Winston right now,
follow his page because he's approachable for now,
but it's too good a page to stay that small.
Now I know what I'm thankful for.
Cool, man.
Go ahead and throw up on the solo real quick, POD.
Same thing, you can find me at the Swaggy Blurt on all of the platforms, man.
The Blurr breakdown that was out for Thanksgiving is going to be out as soon as we wrap up here.
I need to go and edit that real quick.
So that'll come up.
I covered some of the same stories here,
but there's definitely some variety.
And that show that I do, Blurred Breakdown
is the pop-coacher show when you need to know,
see what had happened was.
So I cover not just the nerd stuff as far as comics
that this was a very nerd-heavy episode.
I also have a segment called Diddy or Didney,
which really dives into the stuff going on with Diddy,
and including the fact that apparently private investigators
going after people talking about Diddy on the internet.
So if I disappear, y'all know what happened.
I clearly got off by Diddy, man.
freak off i got freak off by dittia pause wait all of this is weird
Winston this is live i'm not sure the context of what you were i think you were trying to say
get taken out but it sounded i got killed yes that is more what i was trying to say but all of
but other than that man i also have restarted my breakfast ma'am news show uh that you can find
that on ticot and instagram i've actually started shooting them uh horizontally i've started shooting
in the regular formatting, so I'm going to recut them for YouTube.
But that is more akin to a, like an SNL weekend update type situation.
It's kind of like those monologue jokes about stuff that's going on.
You know, everything from politics to sports to whatever I crack jokes on everybody,
all sides gets it.
So definitely check that out as well.
But yeah, other than that, man, you've seen me over with Roka doing game time and
spill the tequila.
We've got maybe a game time this afternoon.
I got to talk to Roka about it.
But next week we'll be hidden in.
And the last thing that I want to plug,
and this is just energy.
I don't even, I'm not even asking for anything specific.
My sister is pretty sick.
The same one that just got the house,
just got to have major surgery next week.
So I will be not as much on the internet next week so I can be with my family.
Just throw, if you're, if you're a religious person,
throw some prayers up there.
if you just, you know, if you meditate, if you have rogue thoughts for people, please just send
up that positive energy. You know, we're all waiting on baited breath. This is a very necessary
surgery and we're just praying that it goes well. So I would appreciate just all of that
positive energy one way or the other. Because yeah, it's my baby sister. So anyways, let's get to
the super chats and the questions. I do want to give shoutouts to anybody that is joining as a new
member i see jake here's joining as a member today thank you so much for that i also think uh robert paulson
is or roger paulson i think i'm his name is robert paulson roger paulson thank you um death do
do we have names witton uh only you uh luke tg 1 underscore t tv thank you for being the legacy of john
snap uh about john schnapp you do him proud also i've seen gladiator two three times twice
normal once in i'max i am so hype for nosferrat too i still have to go see gladiator too and wicked i am so
behind that's what i'm hoping to do this weekend is to be able to play catch up on some of this stuff man
have you seen gladiated more than once already i've seen gladiator once i've seen wicked once but
wicked like surprised the heck out of me man i was so impressed with wicked like i did not expect to
like that one going in i was actually worried about any of it because of my agatha experience but then
like i loved wicked like i didn't just like it like it made my top 20s
I think of the year.
So impressed, so captivating.
Like the world building is great.
It's immersive.
Gladiator's a great sword and sandals pick.
It's not like the gravitose of the first one.
But like it's a fun movie.
It's just hard when the first one is like,
best picture.
And the second one's like,
a good time.
Very different vibe.
Whereas Wicked like really got me,
man.
I was impressed.
Dude,
I'm actually excited about it.
Like my family was like,
oh,
let's go see Wicked yesterday.
I wanted to see it after dinner.
And my problem.
was, is I have a friend who is obsessed with musicals.
And so her birthday party on Saturday, she rented out of private theater to see it.
And I was like, even if it's good, I'm in that age now where I actually struggle to watch movies
more than once.
Like, I can't necessarily do.
I have to be head over heels obsessed with a movie to do it at this point.
I think part of it might be with the fact of what we do for a living.
I have to watch so much content.
I don't think I have it in me to rewatch things unless I'm like, no, this is flawless.
So like the only movies in recent memory that I went to the theater multiple times.
Oh my God.
What was the last bond?
No time to die, right?
Oh, wow, a while ago.
It was a while ago.
And that was because me and my dad, we just watched Bond films.
That's like our thing that we bond on.
And I wasn't going to see him for a while.
So I went to, ha, ha, ha.
I didn't even hear it.
Jesus.
So I had seen it already because I had to again for work.
And then when I went home for the holidays, like my dad and I went.
go see it together.
And then other than that,
end game,
long time ago.
I saw Deadpool 2 multiple,
Deadpool 3 multiple times.
Like Deadpool 3 is so rewatchable.
Top,
Top Gun Maverick.
But yeah,
I didn't,
I didn't see,
and Wakanda forever.
But I saw Dune 2 thrice.
I love Dune 2.
I've spent like seven hours in that movie.
Dune 2, 1, oh, I guess Barbie.
Not, not, not, not necessarily
on purpose,
but I saw it.
Like, not because it's bad.
It's, it's very good.
But, like, two different groups of people.
And I was like, you know what?
It was funny.
I'll go, I'll go again.
So I've seen that three, I saw twice in theaters and once at home.
I am excited for NOSFratu, that answer that question.
I hope we get to, like, out there's a press screening before Christmas because I want to make my,
I want to do a top movies of the year.
That's one of the videos I've got scheduled for December.
I do not want to be filming after December 25th.
So, like, if I don't get a screening, now Spratu is ineligible for my, for the
Koi Awards. I'm sorry, Nostradu. I'm not waiting for you. It's ineligible in contention for the
Koi Awards. You don't, you don't call them the Koi's? The Koi's? I have to each wise in a different
thing. But yeah, I want to do like an actual best of the year. But like I said earlier, January
revenue on YouTube's garbage. So I want to get it out by the end of this year, which means I'm not
waiting until six days before the end of the year to edit that beast. Yeah, no, that that would be a mother.
Ooh, maybe I should film that sooner than later. That's what I'm thinking.
might be filming it like next week and there's still i mean there's like 10 movies i need to see and
there's only three in december that are like musts but nosprazzaratsu is cutting it real close yeah yeah
no that's that's that's that i'm excited though i'm excited for it myself thank you so much luke
appreciate the question and uh the next one from julius wyatt i am 22 years old and have never
had collard green sorry you don't need to apologize i just feel bad for you no no you're about to
have a life experience at 22 or 23 and i'm jealous
Yeah, I'm not, I'm not, I literally, you don't need to apologize.
Again, I'm sorry for you.
I'm sorry that your parents didn't figure that out that you didn't find it on your own.
You didn't have a friend that was like, my ninja, you haven't had collard greens.
Like, you got to do that immediately.
Go to a soul food store and the canned ones are actually decent for came soon.
I can't do that.
No.
I've never had them and I refuse.
See, I grew up like, you know,
sometimes Canada's the only place you could get them.
And frankly, like, you know, it was what I had access to.
I'm curious.
Is goodish.
You're really testing my patience, coy.
Where do you go in L.A.?
That has real collard greens?
There's like, there's two.
You want me to send you the restaurants?
There's plenty.
As a matter of fact, there's one in Hollywood called 80 Soul Bulls.
Oh, I love that place.
It's so good.
As a matter of fact, you know what?
There's three Jamaican places on Wilshire, like over the spread of Wilshire.
Like, Midtown Wilshire has three.
Jamaican spots that I really like.
Two of my good collard greens.
But like overall, I don't think of LA
as having like a colored green
based food infrastructure.
Okay, see, hold on, time out.
Let me tell you this right now.
Coy, I love you.
And I know you love me.
This is me asking.
This isn't being like positive.
This is how I know your ass don't go to the hood.
You like, do you know how many soul food where there are infinite soul food
restaurants in South Central, bro, and Inglewood and Compton?
I'm asking to go on this journey.
I'm not saying I know better.
I'm saying I don't know better.
I just look, look, look,
look, look.
Look, you listen to Kendrick's album.
Don't say you love L.A.
when you don't go past the 10.
That's all I'm saying, bro.
I'm asking to learn, Winston.
I'm asking to be taught.
I need the education.
What I'm saying is I know so little that I buy it can and I know that's not right.
Yeah, no, all good.
All good.
We got to fix that.
But Julius, definitely check that out.
Find you a good soul food spot.
Gallagos, thank you so much, saying, hey, fellas, send him a love and support to you while volunteering from Food Drive wearing a gun S shield on my world.
It means hope.
Thank you so much.
And that's awesome, man.
That's something that I actually want to get back to.
This is one of two, if you'll jump to the next Gallagos one.
But I want to get back to doing food drives and banks and all that.
That was something that I used to do a lot with my family.
so I think I got to look into that myself.
I do the LA mission every Thanksgiving and Christmas.
If I got any extra spots, I'll bring you if you want to come.
Yeah, man, let me know for sure.
And then he follows up with,
is there any possibility with the bomb of Flash
that Andy Mooshetti is still directing Batman?
I like Andy, but does the Flash reception put him at risk?
We've talked about this a little bit before.
Quay, I'll let you kind of tee off here.
I mean, I honestly think that,
and what I've said before, I stand by,
Andy Mochetti, when he is making a movie that he intended to make, crushes.
I liked the Flash.
I liked a lot of the Flash a lot more than most people.
I didn't like All of the Flash.
And I don't think that everyone that didn't like The Flash is wrong.
There's plenty that had flaws.
But when I look at stuff like Mama or It or the things that are Andy Muchetti,
I think of the fact that The Flash had seven directors, five sets of writers.
Like everyone was attached to direct the Flash.
it was in production for
I think Ezra got cast
around the same time as Grant Gustin
like it was in that long of a production
Wow really?
Yeah dude like it was like within a couple years of each other
So like the Flash took
You know every director coming and going and writing
So I don't even know what Andy was handed
Was he given like show Bible written in like paper
And then like stapled in like different notes?
I don't know and and that's not excusing the things that didn't work
But it's an acknowledgement of I believe in him
when he's got his own path.
And I think he would have a vision for the Batman that would be strong enough that if,
you know, he pitched on it and the team that's greenlit, all of this great stuff said,
that is a beautiful idea.
I trust in the system and I trust in his other work enough that that's kind of a,
it's alien three from Fincher for me where like that's a lot of studio interference.
Yeah.
No, I get that.
And I think you got to also take into consideration the timing of everything.
Like you said, the DC was falling apart and whatnot.
and kind of where we were.
I think there was just a lot going on.
And I think Andy has proven that he is a good director.
This was just a situation that didn't necessarily work out as well.
And now you would have also the vision of gun being involved.
You know what I'm saying?
Like he would be able to direct this movie,
but he would have his figy at his back to make sure that the movie plays out how it needs to.
So I think that he'll be fine if he genuinely, you know,
if you genuinely is out of it.
here in these streets doing the movie the way that Gunn sees it, he'll keep the role.
As long as him and Gunn don't get in an argument, he'll keep the role.
Well, as long as the idea that he positioned for him to get the job in the first place,
maintains the plan.
Like, to me, it's not like going to the principal's office.
To me, it's like staying on the same page with the universe that, you know, we wanted to make.
Like, whoever is saying we want to collaborate, as long as we keep that going, then we are on
the same page i don't i don't personally see that changing unless something changed in the vision right no i
agree with that uh marcus m expectations for creature commandos now if i remember correctly you have
seen a screener already i've seen a little yeah um it drops in a week and uh i'm really excited to talk
about it because i i'm so excited for people to get to experience uh what i have seen because yeah
creature commandos crazy dude i i i mean i i am my ex my ex my
expectations is that it'll be good. DC tends to not miss with animated. I will give them credit.
They have kind of owned animation over Marvel for a very long time with a few exceptions.
Obviously, you have like the X-Men 97 popping off, which was fantastic. But typically, like, I think about since we were kids, like, yes, that original X-Men cartoon and that Spider-Man cartoon that were the Saturday morning stuff was really good.
and there have been other good Marvel stuff,
but it would be what just happened?
Can you put us back the way we were, PLD?
Hey!
Thank you.
But, like, when people think about that,
a lot of times they're talking more about,
except for because X-Men 97-U.Sappell,
but you were talking about Justice League
and Justice League Unlimited.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, you're talking about, you know,
because that then was tied to Masked to the Fantasom,
and Batman the Animated Series.
Superman the animated series and all that they have always handled that and even the most recent verse that they just closed out, which was based off the new 52, same thing. They've killed it. So I have no doubt in my mind that Creature Commandos is going to be fired.
I, it's in a week. I don't think people are ready for what it feels like to watch. Like it is such an energy that I'm so excited. Like you remember when shows felt like water cool,
conversations because of the insanity, not because of like,
Easter eggs. Like when the actual show was so exciting that you're like,
yeah, you just want to talk about it, creature commandos. Like, I'm really
genuinely excited for the conversations. Okay. All right,
all right. I'm definitely excited for it. EWalk. Hey, guys,
ever read the Strike Force Morioreoreity comic to fight aliens,
people sign up to be given superpowers. However,
they know that their powers will kill them within a year. Would it make a great film.
Wow. This
So funny.
Like this came up like three weeks.
I haven't thought about this comic since the 90s.
This is a mid-80s comic.
I want to say like 85.
Like this is a,
this is a deep cut and decades ago.
But this just came up in a conversation when I was at,
there was a pinball comic signing block party.
This place called Revenge of through a block party.
And it was like Comic Con,
but just the comic part.
So it was comic writers and artists signing.
There was no,
you know,
crazy movie announcement or anything else.
It was a comic store having some of the biggest names in comics do a block party.
And it was at a pinball place.
It was so dope.
But at this party, I was at, this came up.
And I hadn't thought about this in decades.
And now it's funny this is coming up again.
I have read it.
It would make a great movie.
But I don't know who even would, what market there is for that.
If X-Men does well, maybe they'll do stuff that feels like that.
And this would be something that have licensing for.
We'll see.
Yeah.
Look, I have not read it.
But that reminds me a lot of.
of attack on Titan, there's way more involved in an attack on Titan,
but even knowing that to obtain powers, you're now on the clock.
You got about four years before your body fully deteriorates and you die.
So like I, that sounds interesting to have that presented in a slightly different way here.
I honestly would find that pretty cool.
So I have to check this book out.
You said it was made in the 80s?
Yeah, I want to say 85, maybe 86 and it ran like three years.
So it's really approachable.
It's probably like 30 issues.
It's not long.
Yeah.
All right, I'll have to check that out.
And it's super like stylized.
And it feels like the 80s.
It feels like that like fun, not too much continuity,
trying to tie everything together era.
Like I recommend it.
Okay.
Before we get to this next one,
we are halfway there, guys.
We're at 43.
Big spike.
That's a big spike.
We can do this.
Like, again, everybody just sending it like a $2 one and be like,
a yo, whatever.
Did you see what I should did?
No, I didn't yet.
No, I haven't seen it.
Okay.
I'll save it.
balloons by doing this.
Is that a thing?
I don't, I don't.
I feel like Nixon.
I don't know.
Why are you getting all the fun stuff?
I thought it was just thumbs.
Cupcake bliss.
I think why some people are concerned about maybe the cancellation of the Batman is because
maybe how they treated Cavill.
They hire him back and then fired later.
Maybe some fans feel a certain way.
I don't know.
What do you think?
What?
I don't personally think.
James Gunn had anything to do with Cavill at all.
I think they actually made it pretty clear he didn't.
And I also don't think that Cavill got officially brought back on in a capacity that we knew what it was.
Like, everything you hear on the internet is someone saying so.
It's all conjecture and hearsay.
James Gunn got brought on to a universe that is new.
He has nothing to do with the old stuff.
As far as I know.
So, therefore, I don't think we should blame someone who is doing a new universe for the past that had nothing to do with him.
That doesn't, that's like being mad at, you know, someone in your grandparents high school class for the grades you got.
Yeah.
No, I agree with you.
And I, I can understand where people would be concerned.
I would be more understanding of that for people that maybe aren't directly tied to this a lot,
where they might continuously, like, kind of go back and forth as far as, oh, they did fire, that they didn't fire.
I don't follow this very closely, so I could see maybe they're just getting rid of it.
But the difference is, you got to remember, Superman, for all it's worth, yes, you know, Batman v. Superman did, while critically paned, did decent at the box office.
Man O'Sail did decent, but that was such a long time ago.
And the Justice League stuff, even the Snyderverse, I mean, the Snyder cut stuff, just really did not pull the way that they needed it to, hence why they were winding it down.
So I think it was just this idea of like, look, we do want to start with Guns universe and all that kind of stuff.
He's doing something different.
They inadvertently pulled the trigger too quick because they really did think that Black Adam all of a sudden would reset things and bring all that in.
And that's why you kind of tease it.
They did him dirty.
Let's not, let's not, let's not lie about that.
They did him dirty.
That's because they didn't know what they were doing.
I think they know what they're doing now.
So I just don't, I don't worry about that.
But I just, yeah, I think.
that we don't know the situation and it's not fair to blame someone for someone else's
decisions no i agree um all right uh let's see our next one uh go pal uh sarn godaharn i'm so sorry
if i butcher that can't make it can't make the live today but here's some support thank you
so much and then a second one where he says are either you're familiar with the webcomic
questionable content i've been reading it every day
for some 15 years.
No, I have not heard of this.
I actually don't read webcomics all that much.
I have so many comics that I read, like, the 30-page books I read that I just haven't had time.
And I'm on my phone too much as it is, so web comics feel like a further curse.
So unfortunately, not my medium, but I'm glad it's awesome.
That's a long time.
I love that connection.
Holy crap.
I just Googled it real fast.
It says it reached its 5,000th comic in March of 2023.
Wow.
A lot to catch up on.
I love the dedication, though, man.
That's incredible that you've been that dive.
Like, that's dope.
Mm-hmm.
No, absolutely. Wow.
That's so cool.
All right, I'll have to kind of see what it's all about.
That's, there's like a weird water polka dot lady on here.
It looks like an interesting character.
I have to come back and read this later.
Thank you for that recommendation.
All right.
Gene Burns, Burns, Burns,
what is the best?
What is the best and worst bootleg you bought?
My best Kung Fu hustle, worst Batman begins.
Coy, Colorado is beating Oklahoma State.
Am I a, is that a sport?
Like, is that movie is color, is this like a high school or college game?
I don't even know what, what?
I'm so lost.
I don't even know how to answer the question of how lost I would.
I'm like, those are places.
How is the place beating another place?
Colorado is beating.
I just did it in a second.
I just ended in a second.
That was really funny.
I'm just like so at my fundamental loss that I'm like,
what do I do with this?
Why was this pointed to be?
I'm like,
yeah.
Are these towns feuding?
What is happening?
Okay, best and worst bootleg I ever bought.
Let's see.
Worst bootleg I ever bought was Friday after next.
Um, we had already seen it and it wasn't going to be out on VHS or DVD for a while.
So we went and got the bootleg copy at the barbershop.
It was terrible.
There was a dude standing over half the screen the whole time, bro.
Like, there was dudes quoting Kat Williams the whole movie.
So I couldn't even hear him do the damn lines or someone else being like,
where would your antenna when they was in hell robbing me bra?
Like I just, it was just, it was bad.
The best one, um,
it was actually a collection of music videos.
Someone had just taken like all of the hot music.
It was like Lil Wayne, Jay-Z.
They had just done all the music videos collectively recorded with the camcorder.
And then they just put it all.
I was like, I mean, yeah, I can watch Big Pivot anytime I won't.
That's true.
I did.
I do remember like the Lime Wire Caza era of music videos when like they would air on TV
be it'd have to catch him.
And like it wasn't just YouTube.
Like pre- YouTube, you'd have to like find stuff.
I didn't really like bootleg stuff.
my family recorded movies off of a like TV like we'd use the TV guide and map out our whole week
and we actually had shifts of like which family member was responsible for putting the VHS in hit
record like we also had like when it was on TV on network like one member of the family was
assigned to cut out the commercials like we had a system but like I don't that's not bootleg
that's just like we had the available like you know that option um yeah I don't I don't know that
like bootlegs were as much a part of like, you know,
Boston white culture as,
as the experience of just like,
you know,
hunting stuff down.
$2 theater was like super common.
I definitely saw stuff that was like,
I saw Godzilla six months after its release in 98 because it was at the $2
theater.
And that felt like someone had filmed it on a camcorder.
Like,
bro,
you mean the one with,
uh,
with Hank Azaria and all that?
Yeah,
dude,
the second run.
Yeah.
I had a bootleg of Godzilla,
bro.
I forgot about that.
Holy crap.
I feel like sometimes the,
two-dollar theater played bootlegs because sometimes it'd be like, I feel like I'm watching
some version where like someone's going to stand up in the theater in my theater.
Right.
Oh my God.
But yeah, I think the best bootleg of all time is Deadpool because without that leak, we wouldn't
have Deadpool.
So I want to think the bootleg that is the Deadpool cinematic universe.
That's hilarious, which by the way, Koi, right now we're sitting at 57 guys.
We're creeping up there.
We're going to get there.
We're getting close.
Keep keep it coming.
Those little babies are helping.
That's if we beat anyone this week by way of like third act twist, I'll be so happy.
On top of the fact that don't y'all want to be able to rub it in Roka's face, how funny would that be?
Collectively, if we said, hey, Roka, happy Thanksgiving, motherfucker.
And we were at like 15 and then we got sassy again.
We played offense and we're at 53?
Well, 57.
57.
Okay.
So we got to get to 83.
We got to 83.
Are we 20?
We're 26 away.
We're past two thirds.
So close.
We're so close.
Sending them $2 ones.
Keep it coming.
Now, this, now I want to give DG all the love in the world for this huge $50 super chat.
Thank you so much.
I really wish we could as be like, nah, split that up like five or six times.
But here we go.
Beautiful message.
I appreciate it.
Beautiful.
But thank you, first of all, so much for the large donation.
What will it take for Hollywood to tackle accurate anime adaptations and film like
MCU did for comics?
DBZ, Naruto, full metal alchemists, or just a few examples, right for serialized movies,
storytelling. Netflix shows like One Piece prove the demand. That is a wonderful question. I think the main
thing that has to happen, I feel like even though Avatar is, the Last Airbender is here. It was,
you know, it's anime styled, but it was really done here. I think part of what was going on is you
had people that did not necessarily, and it sounds like the show did a lot better, you know,
people that weren't caring about the material.
The same way that you see Fygie helming the MCU and he cares.
You see gun helming the DCU and he cares.
You need people that are running it, not just a studio exec being like,
Dragon Ball is the biggest thing in all of Japan.
We're going to make a live action, do it, you know, whatever,
and just throw it to whoever and then just do casting that doesn't make any sense.
You need people that, like, no, I have been eating, breathing, sleeping.
Like, as a matter of fact, I need to learn how to direct.
throw my hat in the ring, I will make you a Dragon Ball movie, dude.
I care about that stuff so much, but that's what you need.
And it's clear when you look at One Piece, you put, there was heart and soul put into it.
So I think that that's all that's missing.
You, there have been plenty of examples with like, American superhero stuff.
I think of, like, while we may enjoy the nostalgia of Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.
Kiss by the road.
You notice how it wasn't taking that seriously until Batman begins happening.
And all of a sudden there's a massive shift.
And then Iron Man happens.
And there's a massive shift.
You just need somebody to prove that you will make a quality storytelling out of this
and give it the true TLC that it deserves.
And then it's on and crack it.
And I think probably the easiest one to dive in for that.
It might be better to tackle full metal alchemist first, I think.
than DBZ or Naruto per se.
But if you start there, because of the character development that happens,
as well as the great fight teams and stuff,
I think you can do absolutely anything.
Coy, what do you think, bro?
I actually am invested in this anime question because DBZ is my,
my, like, favorite anime.
I know it's the most gateway.
It's the weed of anime.
It doesn't matter.
It's a classic.
I love Dragon Ball.
And I've still never watched that movie with Justin Chatwin, nor will I.
It's so bad.
I don't want that in my head.
I don't want to have that live here.
You're something worse, Koi?
I saw it, right?
I saw it in theaters while I was studying abroad in Japan.
When I tell you people were so mad.
Like I remember watching it and like the funny thing was that they had to,
because it's an American movie, it was obviously they kept the regular audio and they just had Japanese subtitles.
and the number of people just,
they go in cheering,
and as the movie goes,
they start booing.
And Japanese people don't boo in theaters, bro.
They don't.
They were so mad, myself included.
It just, it was so bad going.
So DBCM invested in,
but I will say that movie,
I think that we are,
because of comic book culture,
getting closer.
And I think One Piece might,
when we look back,
we might see One Piece as,
like, we look at Blade or X-Men,
where it's like a shift
in the pop culture acceptance
and awareness. I think, you know, Superman is the first thing that happened in 78. But it took a long time until we got to 89, Batman. And then it took a long time until we got to Blade and all these things that are the more modern adaptations of it. But I do think DBZ has an advantage because there's a lot of DBZ visual language used in movies already. Like if you watch Jet Lee and Jason Statham's the one, it feels like Dragon Ball Z. So like there's a lot of DNA already out there that we could like reference. So I think DBZ,
as a very approachable adaptation that would be good like an X-Men where like the language is already
there so audiences could accept it that could lead to Naruto and full metal and stuff.
I fully think that it could be done exceptionally well.
They just, again, you just find a passionate.
Got to find a passionate creator.
And I think that'll do it.
DG, thank you so much for the awesome, awesome super chat.
Coy, we're still put, we're up to 60 now, Ro.
We're creeping.
We're up to 60.
We're almost there.
We're almost there, y'all.
We can do this.
Mirror domains.
Will TMNT Las Ronan
Is going to be a good movie
Okay, I see what you're saying
Would it be a good?
Either he's saying,
It's getting made.
Oh, is it going to be a good movie?
Again,
that'll depend on the filmmakers.
Same thing.
I fully agree.
It depends on the filmmakers.
The story as is, yes.
Because you've read it, right?
Yeah, yeah.
The Last Ronan story is amazing.
It's just, you know,
you have to adapt an amazing story amazingly.
It is absolutely fantastic.
So I genuinely hope that it's good.
It might be my favorite TMNT story ever.
So I genuinely hope that it ends up being good.
I didn't even know that they were making it,
but that's fantastic.
Do you know if they're doing animated or if they're doing live action?
I think it's animated from what I heard, but I haven't.
It was a long time ago, like two years ago, the announcement was made.
Okay.
All right.
Well, we will see what happened.
Thank you so much, Mirror Domains.
Gallagos is back.
Well, hello, tis I, the next super chat.
I'm assuming it was done in the form of mustard.
In the voice of mustard.
Also, Dom Life keeps coming in with these $1 ones that are essential.
I just want to give credit to the.
I see these dollars in 99 centers coming in.
Thank you.
You can't buy love, but you can rent it for three minutes.
Damn.
I, that is the most Boston super chat, Gallagos.
You know what I mean?
Like I, if you go to the right, you know, alleyway in Boston, there are plenty of rent at 20-minute hotels.
I'm just saying.
I'm just, there's plenty of options.
You head to Lynn, Lynn, City of Sin.
You never come out the way you went in.
You can find some hour rentals.
Sir.
Jesus.
Go to the next question.
Behold me, get me out of here.
I got nothing.
Alston B.
Thank you so much for the large donation.
What are some DC comics elements you hope gun uses to make the DCU stand?
stand out and diversify his world.
I'm hoping we don't kill off every villain and build a live action Legion of Doom.
Yeah, that would be huge for me.
I think that that is a problem just because of the nature of movies.
We ran into with the MCU and the DCEU of just like, oh, they're dead.
Oh, they're dead.
Like, it's been going on for a while.
Like you think back to what, Spider-Man, killed Green Goblin, kill Doc Haq,
man, got to live, but you killed Tofa Grace as far as Venom goes.
I think like you then had to get creative with No Way Home to be like, oh, they appear.
You're right before.
Right before they died is when they got pulled.
That was a smart move to wiggle out of that.
I think it's something that needs to be fixed for sure.
And I hope that that's something that we end up doing is that they stick by the idea of like, no, you're going to jail.
And then we'll come back around and have more stories to tell.
I agree, especially with how much James Gunn focuses on his villains being,
incredible. Like, look at high evolutionary. I really think he wrote Thanos's, you know,
Stone's lore, you know, he's the guy that really helped shape villains. Not only is that good
for story, but it's good for this world building you're talking about. I think we need to have villains
have long-forming arcs much like our heroes do. I think Lex Luther is one of the great villains
in comic book literature, casting Nick Holt, and having that be a long-forming arc can lead to
Legion of Doom and like those elements. So I do think that's going to be a factor. I think it's an
element that he is going to be mindful of.
I think if there's anything James Gunn is known for besides needle drops, it's casting.
So if you cast a really good villain, that also gives you the opportunity to have this
long arc.
I'm really confident in this universe.
I'm very excited.
So I'm less worried about that than most things.
Elements that I would like to see.
Zeta tubes, for sure.
I would love, I would love, not just boom tubes, but like Zeta tubes as well.
Oh, sorry.
Yeah, both.
I mean both.
you know boom tubes are interesting as much as as the zeta stuff is and like having the justice
league be able to zip around everywhere um i'm really hoping that because you know it was originally
teased in the dc ewe about a new gods movie with a reduvine that got can i would love to eventually
get to the point where we do explore the new gods i think that they're kind of fascinating um to me
the more interesting between them and the eternals um you know as far as their marvel counterparts
diversifying the world also for me is making it feel like different directors and writers are actually getting their voice clear.
So like when you look at a frame of a lot of phase four, it all kind of has a similar aesthetic, not all of it.
Like Eternals looks very different and I love Eternals, but there's a, there's a color palette.
There's a tone.
I'd love directors to get to actually like, you know, mix it up and make their movie that's just set within the universe versus make a blank movie.
Coy.
What are we at?
81.
82
83 bitch
we did it
thank you so much everybody we did it oh my god
oh okay we came out
like that is a that is a super bowl
and I'm sorry to reference to Patriots
but that is a that is a comeback
a Patriot Super Bowl S comeback
I'm also realizing it is 1141 and we have so many to get to
so we're going to have to start to go and move it a little faster
but thank you so much for helping us be roga
I'm a Texas fool
as soon as we get off of this and rub it in his face,
having Thanksgiving.
Yeah.
So Spidey Sensei,
72.
There's already an animated Hulk versus Wolverine movie with Deadpool,
Sabretooth,
and Omega Red.
Just watch that and say it's very good.
It's very good.
I reacted to a real rejects.
You can watch me watch it.
But yeah,
Winston and I've actually talked about that movie before.
Like it doesn't mean,
because something's an animation,
doesn't mean I don't want it in live action, though.
Like, there's comics of all this stuff.
That doesn't mean I don't want to see in a movie.
Absolutely.
Make more.
Absolutely.
Roman Fodorak.
Hey, oh, thank you for the donation.
Hey, all.
Wishing everyone the best and grateful to be here in this time of Thanksgiving,
just all Saturday night with the great movie.
And it was fun seeing my parents get nostalgic over it.
I still need to see that.
My girlfriend went to see it and she loved it.
I had to, it was the, because it came out the same weekend or the weekend before Venom.
I had to go see Venom.
And then she got to go see Saturday night.
And I came up being like,
and she was like, I had a great time.
And I was like, so I still need to see.
What are you doing?
Dude, I wandered into AMC Burbank and there was a film festival happening there.
And by dumb luck, there were seats to random movies within the film festivals.
One of them was Saturday night.
And I got to see it like a month and a half early.
And it was sensational.
It is so funny.
It feels like you're in a play.
It feels like hell week during a production of a play.
The energy is insane.
It's manic.
It's intense.
wicked funny i'm gonna keep an eye on a lot of these cast members and stuff going forward like
it's strongly in my top 20 uh of the year like it's real real good highly recommend it okay i'm here
for it uh israel lopez just some support for you guys thank you so much as you'll helping us
get over that eight a two uh mr i crappin shit just showing some love happy blurred friday
with coy would that would he be a gird a ginger nerd jk have
a great weekend. Thank you so much.
I was your high crap and shit.
That was a good one.
And then Roman Fedorik is back with one month left in the year.
What are the remaining films you are most interested in?
Def War of Roheim for me.
Thanks.
I mean, look, I am curious as all be about Craven at this point.
I am curious about Mufasa.
I'm curious about Mawana, all stuff
that's popping off in the next week or two weeks or, you know, what?
We have a month left, man.
That's four weeks.
And Sonic 3, I'm excited about.
Sonic 3.
I cannot wait for Sonic 3.
Sonic 3 is like, you know, Sonic 3 and Craven are my big two, like event movies for the
rest of the year.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And Nostratu I'm excited for.
Yes.
I haven't seen sure number two.
That's another one for me for the end of the year that I'm excited about it.
You know, I'm not as big at courtroom dramas as the next gang.
It was fine.
I felt like I was watching an episode of Law & Order, though.
I was like,
I watched so much Law & Order.
That's my age.
You're going to have a great time.
Dude, there's a reason why I made a whole series
Law & Order Sports Victims Unit,
because I love that stuff so damn much.
You're going to love it then.
It's that.
Okay, great, great, great, great, great.
PLD projects, example of a cheap one.
Thank you, PLD.
Gallagos, have you both been watching the franchise?
I'll be honest with you, man.
I loved it.
I got to go to a screening of it.
Then I saw the first two or three episodes.
But sadly,
I have not come back to visit it again and I need to because I had a good time.
Coy,
have you been watching it?
Wasn't really my thing.
Oh,
so you did see an episode.
I tried it out.
I just like,
I'm really particular with comedy.
And comedy is the hardest thing for me to commit to.
Most comedies that come out on TV or in movies.
I'm just like,
I don't get why people think it's as funny as that.
But I like really weird comedy.
Like,
I'm the weirdo.
But I just was my thing.
No, I totally get it.
And I think the other thing, it was a little inside baseball,
like you need to know the industry.
Well, that's the thing is I know comics and I know the industry,
but it felt like whoever was working on it was taking jabs at it
in a way that didn't feel like they,
the heart to make fun of something is as important as the thing you're making fun of.
It felt more like Big Bang Theory than community.
And I'm more nerds making fun of nerd culture is spreading awareness of the culture.
People making fun of nerd culture is punching down in.
nerds and Big Bang Theory always felt like it was people profiting off it.
Whereas like community felt like it was celebrating it while like, you know, laughing at it.
The franchise feels much more like it's profiting off of jabbing at my thing.
I sort of get that, but I guess because it is such a stab at the industry as a whole,
which is why it didn't bother me the way the Big Bang Theory did.
Because Big Bang Theory, they would just throw a bunch of nerd words in a string together
that didn't make sense.
It'd be like, it was Barry Allen or fought Sauron, the dead the thigh.
All of a sudden, it was beamedab Scotty, and I'm like,
yo, go F yourself.
They were just those shirts people wear to make fun of people.
Like, it was just, it was sad.
But the franchise is not as bad.
I'm just saying on the scale, the Venn diagram.
It's over there.
I understand.
Cupcake Bliss.
What are your most anticipated video games or movies for 2025?
Well, movies, we've obviously, any of the stuff we talk about here,
Brave New World Thunderbolts, Superman, Fantastic Four, that's all big.
Outside of the superhero stuff, I've said this before, sinners.
I'm very excited about it. Anytime Ryan Cooler drop something, I'm here for it.
Video games.
Oh, my God. It's essentially the, I don't think it's like Fortnite per se, but it's like there's like a Marvel kind of version of like Battle Royale coming out that I'm super excited that they did the, they were doing, you know, the promos of it for a while.
Like they did a beta testing for it for a while.
So I'm very excited about that.
That's the only one that comes to mine off the top of my head.
What about you, Koi?
Next year, my most anticipated in years is Superman, but in the non-nerd movie space,
really excited for the accountant, too.
I'm a huge fan of the first one.
Like, I just so slept on as a movie, and I'm excited.
It gets its franchise treatment.
How to Train Your Dragon Live Action.
It's one of my favorite trilogies ever is the animated ones.
And my friend Mason is playing hiccup.
So that's crazy.
Like, really excited to see, like, a dude whose career I care.
about and a human, I think is amazing playing a character I love.
Like, it's really special to me.
And I had a really cool experience where with How to Train Your Dragon, three, I did the
press tour a bit with Jay, like Jay Barrel, and I are acquaintances.
So I got to go with him and Dean Dubois on all of the, like, I went on Conan and I went
to the cordon, like, with them.
I got to like hang out.
And so I got to know Dean a bit.
And now to see Dean working with someone who I consider like a friend, Quaintance and Mason
on something that means so much to me.
This one's like really personal.
So how to train your dragons are like a personal one.
F1, I'm really personally invested in because it's at like $300 million days of thunder,
Days of Thunder I grew up with.
So like Top Gun meets Days of Thunder, but it's that much money with Brad Pitt.
Yes.
And then last one I'll plug.
I'm looking at my list.
Blackphone 2 directed by Scott Derrickson, also starring the Great Mason Thames.
Next year is stacked though.
It is.
No, next year is kind of crazy.
And then just looking up real quick, some more video game releases that I just forgot.
We've got Marvel, 1943, The Rise of Hydra.
That's going to be dope.
Grand Theft Auto 6.
Oh, put that in my veins.
There's death straining, too.
That'll be interesting to see how that does.
The Capcom Fighting Collection 2.
I believe they're also dropping the next Metal Gear
Master Collection, which I'm excited about for that.
And then the last one that I saw, I'm trying to remember,
because I was just scrolling through all this stuff super quick.
I don't see it.
It doesn't matter.
Those are,
that's enough.
There's a,
oh,
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD.
Okay,
I F with that.
That would be fun.
All right, Beth.
Thank you so much.
Ayesha Kendner,
M,
you,
oh, no.
S,
T,
A,
R,
D,
muster.
That was fun.
That was fantastic.
That is exactly how you bring the heat with little super chats cumulatively.
That was fantastic.
Aisha, thank you so much.
Back up to Haskell.
Yeet.
Potato pie.
I got to see the mustard happening in real time, and it was great because it would
overtake the live chat, and then it would be a couple, and then it would overtake.
And then there'd be other ones in between, and then she'd come back with like a letter,
and I was just so proud the whole time.
Yo, yeat potato pie.
What is your worst movie of 2024 Cupcake Bliss says?
It's a great question.
What is your worst of 2024?
Madam Webb's pretty bad.
Madam Webb was this year?
February, dude.
Oh, my God.
It feels like it was five, six years ago.
I still haven't seen it.
I refuse to see it.
I don't want to see it.
I don't.
We didn't have to talk about it in here.
Y'all got to go to screeners.
I don't want to see it.
I'm trying to think of something else that hurt me like that.
I feel like there was something else that came out.
I didn't see Borderlands, but I heard it was so bad.
and that bums me out.
Megalopolis was pretty awful.
I couldn't get through Rebel Moon
is turning off a movie count?
That counts.
That counts.
Oh, Mean Girls.
I forgot that was also this year.
That was this year?
That was January, bro.
They completely shat on the original movie
because they forgot that you could be,
for the movie to work,
they have to be bitches.
Yeah.
Hold back on it because they were like,
well, no, we don't want to be offensive.
Izzy 98, beat Roka.
You damn right we did.
Thank you so much, Izzy,
and you're part of the reason that we did.
Gailos, Winston, for your Diddy Witness Protection Fund?
Thank you.
Ombuddin that.
Haskell.
Check both your tweets after for an epic spider car post.
Oh, interesting.
Okay.
We'll check it out afterwards.
Gallagos, Koi, from one Bostonite to another.
Awesome. Love it.
Aisha is sending prayers and healing energy to your sister.
Thank you so much.
My family genuinely appreciates that.
Thank you.
Brooklyn.
Asia is cute.
You guys are cool too, though.
Hashtag support.
All right, Brooklyn.
I see you.
Look at how you're trying to shoot your shot.
I really respect that in a super chat.
I know they'll read it, but also.
They were like, they were both like, hey, she cute and she did mustard and she said it
positive energy.
Let me go ahead and shoot this shot real quick.
It feels like an episode of blurts all over again, man.
I just respect the whole energy behind that post.
Like, I just love all of it.
Absolutely.
Day Knapper.
Pick two for,
uh,
pick two for Reeves' Batman and two for,
uh,
Gun, Batman.
Hugo Strange,
Poison Ivy,
Mr. Freeze,
the Vindriloquist.
Okay.
Uh,
for Reeves,
you've got to be strange.
Antriloquist.
Gun,
Ivy, and Freeze.
Uh,
my reasoning behind that,
even though I think that you could have some incredible stories with
Ivy and Freeze,
Reeves has decided to make his more realistic.
So the ventriloquist, it's easier to actually be like,
yeah, there's a psychological issue there.
You went sideways, Koi.
Oh.
It's easier with the ventriloquist to just be like,
hey, you know, this person has got,
which that's the thing.
Is, you know, dummy, is he actually the villain behind it all?
Or is it a genuinely cursed doll?
The back and forth,
you can make the argument for mental health stuff
there and then Hugo Strange is fascinating he is again that could be more realistic to dive into
like psychology poison ivy and freeze because they're mystical sort of i mean they have superpowers
like that makes more sense to put them in the brave and the bold where they could do stuff what do
you think boy uh you know i'm gonna mix it up a little because i like what you had to say but
i want to not have the same answers um because i see where you're coming from but to mix
it up i want mr freeze and reeves because i want to see the character treated with more like
fear and respect than we got with arnold so to have the audience have the opposite kind of like
did with Ridler, right? Like, Ridler, Jim Carrey, the opposite is Dano. I'd love to see the
opposite Reeves. I'd love to see Mr. Freeze having the love story be forefront, having like a more
of a melodrama. So I'm going to go Reeves with Freeze. And then I'm going to go poison eye.
What is balloon? I'm going to go poison IV for patents. I'm going to go poison IV for patents.
Rubber with air and them, Coy. That is what is balloons. What is balloons?
that's my riddle i was referencing no i'm i'm gonna go uh poison ivy for battenson because i want to see
his bruce wayne is intentionally vague in the first one because he hasn't established who that
who that mask is i think it'd be cool to establish who that mask was by having like pamela be a figure
in both bruce wayne and batman's life and if catwoman's not in the picture for two acts of the film
poison iv he'd be cool in there so i could see like that being exciting and also again
to try to make a more normalized.
I like the challenge.
And then I'm going to go to the opposite with Ventriloquist.
Make him a full-blown, like, you know, has a puppet that might be real.
I want some goosebumps action.
And then Hugo Strange in a big, shiny, insane Arkham would be fun.
So I'm just going to do the opposite for the contrarian sake.
I love it.
I love it, I love it, I love it.
Mr. I crap and sheets.
Coy, love the admiral job you and Amy did on Heroes after John passed.
Are you still in contact with Amy?
If so, how's she doing?
I don't see Amy as much.
I did see her at Comic-Con.
So I saw Amy like in July.
We hadn't seen each other in a few months before that.
So we kind of see each other like two, three times a year,
which to be honest, in LA is a decent amount.
So I take it back.
We see each other sometimes in LA.
That's a fair amount for people that don't work together anymore.
She's doing great.
She's killing it with like her corner of nerddom.
She's thriving.
She's not in the comic space as much anymore.
So I'm really happy for what she's getting to do and what she wants to do.
As far as I know, great.
And I got a lot of love for Amy.
Yeah.
Awesome.
Craven, is Craven lined up for a box office failure mirror domains ass?
I mean, look, we talked about this a few episodes back,
and the fact that they're putting it around Christmas means that they have some faith in it.
So I don't know, but it doesn't help that they are boxed in
because you got Gladiator and Wicked on one end.
Mawanna's flying in here, just flew in this week.
You're about to have on the back end, Sonic,
and what is the other big Christmas movie that's coming out?
I already forgot.
Nasferatu.
Nasferatu.
Is that considered a Christmas movie?
Coming out on Christmas?
That's fair.
So I think that they're surrounded, which is a choice.
That's true.
So they're surrounded, but I don't know.
If it's a good movie, again, the word of mouth will help it.
People, like, remember, this is around the time where we would get an N-MCU film,
a Star Wars film.
Like, the thirst for that in this time of year is there.
So if it's a good movie, I think they'll be fine.
What do you think, Corey?
I think it's going to take word of mouth.
I think people aren't talking about it yet because they're afraid of like, is it going to be good?
I think once it comes out, if it is, the word of mouth will help.
If it's not, it's going to sink.
So it'll be a matter of like how good it is getting out.
And then I think Nosferatu is, was it, was it Jesus born on Christmas or resurrected?
Born.
So we should have Nostrad to come out on Easter because that's the undead holiday.
He should have waited.
April Nospheropter.
Next one, Don Rinaldo McWhiskey.
deep fried turkey or smoke?
Personally smoked,
but I just love like a nice smoky mesquite meat.
No, for sure.
Turkey is normally bad, but the turkey we had, for me,
I feel like it's always dry,
but the turkey we had last night,
my God, the homie that did, he,
that bird up, that shit was delicious.
All right, have you seen, Armada,
have you seen Big Daddy Marks saying mustard?
It's hilarious.
He also did the Triple H song, too, which was hilarious.
I have not seen that.
I'll have to go and look that up, man.
Have you, have you?
I've been loving the mustard memes.
Haven't seen that one.
I've been living for the mustard memes, though.
Like, it has been a joy.
I, I, I had a whole bunch in mind.
And by the time, I was like, okay, let me, I was like, damn, they already did that.
Well, they did that one, they did that one, too.
But I have one specifically with Yoshi, with the, you know, my sister's dog who
were still watching.
I actually have one for her that will work really, really well.
So I'm excited about it.
um iisha kenya the debate ends today gravy
a cranberry sauce on dressing i don't do either on dressing i didn't i didn't normally
do that they're like kind of on the side i didn't i didn't really put them on top i mean
if you're going to do it i would say probably gravy but i i could i don't know i just
like a handful of all of it and eat you to once i don't know yeah it's kind of like
sometimes the plate just becomes like a concept right it's all like together but for me
stuffing slash dressing is like its own thing like that's my favorite thing is the stuffing
so I leave it alone.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Anyway, the Knight Father, thank you just so much
for throwing a donation.
And Trevor Fast,
for a donation, appreciate you both.
Shane Joel, do either of you play
Magic Gathering? You goddamn right. And if
you do, what's your favorite deck
currently? Do you think they will ever make an
adaptation of the lore? I think they will.
They do have a comic. Boom Studios did
that, which is really cool.
So you should check that out when we used to do our boom segments.
It's funny that you mentioned that.
I hadn't played in a long time.
and then this summer I did a buddy of mine was like,
oh yeah, we do like drafts of the new blocks.
And I actually just did one last weekend.
And guess who won the whole thing, baby?
It was three in the morning.
I was exhausted, but I was like, get out my face.
The new set, as a matter of fact, hold on.
Give me a solo real quick, PLD, so I don't have to move right there.
That's the box right there from the draft of what was going on.
just kind of sitting over there.
It's what it's a dust,
dust morn.
And you can bring it back.
Thank you, PLD.
I thought you were going to wander off.
I was going to monologue.
I'm glad you got it.
I was like,
is he going to have to get up?
Do I have to take over?
No, no,
you're good.
And so I,
but yeah,
I put together a blue,
white black deck where I was just
completely just manhandling people
by flying at them
and not letting them have things.
It was amazing.
Do you play?
I've never played.
It's such a commitment of time
that I'm really bad at doing things
just for fun.
and I want to learn, but I haven't.
As a starting point, just download the app,
the Magic of the Gathering Arena that's on your phone.
It'll teach you the basics of the rules,
and then you could just kind of get used to it and have a good time.
And then if you ever, beyond that, want to do it,
I have plenty of cards and stuff,
and we can just build decks and have fun.
Okay, Austin B, my pop throws down on some collard greens,
you damn right, one of the highlights yesterday,
along with that Lions win.
Dude, I cannot believe the Blair's blue that.
that and I will talk about it.
You're going to get two blurred breakdowns today, I think, is what's going to end up happening,
because I already have one that's done.
I'm going to have to re-record a new one.
Iber Fluse, the coach of the Bears got fired.
So that's hilarious because he screwed up.
Kui, I know that means I'm speaking French to you at this point.
He screwed up.
Someone did bad at jobs.
He did.
He got fired for it.
But yes, Collegreens is the way to go.
That's probably second favorite side of my neck and cheese.
You and I, this holiday, sometime December or January.
We're going to get two, we're going to like blinding.
taste collard greens. Like I want to, I want to find one or two spots.
Make it, let's do Portnoy's pizza, but with collard greens.
That's fine by me. Look, if, look, my birthday's next weekend.
If we end up going to collard greens.
No, well, that's, I was saying, like, we're going to go get, well, I guess we're not
getting soul food that time. There was nothing listed soul food on the agenda or I would mention
it.
I'll make greens while we're doing the community service part in the middle.
Okay. Yeah, we'll do that. Okay. Brooklyn, you guys ever checked out,
uh, Joyner Lucas's ADHD album?
I think it's one of the best albums of the last 15 years.
It is a fantastic album.
I really, really like it, a lot.
Didn't get enough love, at least in my circles.
Like, I didn't hear a lot about it after the first month to release.
I think it's fantastic, really good album.
Jonah Lucas is a genius.
Absolutely.
Armada, predictions on the GNX deluxe release.
I'm saying after Super Bowl,
I also predict Taylor Swift shows up on album at the Super Bowl.
Yeah, yeah, I could see that.
I could see that because, you know,
Over half the album has Jack Antonoff,
the longtime partner of Taylor Swift,
working on it.
So I wouldn't be surprised if that ends up happening.
Okay.
In the music video,
we reference not one,
not two,
not three,
but four different double albums
are either referenced visually
or by casting certain people
or by showing certain things.
Then deep into the video,
we get the parade rollout.
That parade is on December 14th.
Double album,
double,
I think he drops it on 1212th.
that'll be interesting and especially because
I know too much about Swifty lore because my girlfriend is a hardcore Swifty
that her birthday being December 13th which is why 13 is her favorite number
her tour ending on the 8th I think because obviously being labelmates and all that
kind of stuff and playing well together on various songs and Jack being in the middle of it
I think that there is some nice there's almost a tango happening of releases announcements
all that kind of stuff and yeah I can see that that's how you
Taylor all of a sudden, if the chiefs are there,
she comes out of the box and she just comes down
and joins him on stage. I just, I don't think
you have that parade, that that's significance
because everything's significant in that music video.
I think it's a full double album,
especially because of all the guy, all eyes on me references,
especially because of like the visual
of the music video that's replicating. Like, it's a double
album for sure. I think it's 12.12.
Yeah. Okay, we have so many to get to.
We got to go a lot faster unless we're staying late.
Breaking, Andy M. will direct dice as
Snyder movie.
Is that?
Is that?
No, it's Jeff Snyder.
A dice clay as Jeff Snyder.
Remember we talked about it last year?
Okay, okay.
That's what I, okay.
I was like,
Lucietti directing Snyder.
Right?
After Craven Day Napper,
will Sony announce anything
that isn't directly
Spider-Man related?
I feel like they're still trying something dumb.
I mean, I think after Craven,
they don't have anything announced.
So I know Spider-Verse is going to
hopefully get a release date announcement
whenever they're ready to.
but I don't know that there's anything else greenlit.
So time will tell.
Yeah.
What's better during the holidays?
Bulking at 350 to 500 calories over or doing a cut at 500 calorie deficit?
You know, it's a great question because of how we eat over the holidays.
What I'm doing is I'm watching my calories, trying not to be either in a major deficit
or surplus because it's easy to surplus, especially yesterday.
But what I'm trying to do is strength train a little extra hard so that,
the caloric density is upped.
So like my metabolism will go up every pound of muscle I gain.
So since I know I can't lose weight right now,
what I'm trying to do is get my metabolic rate upped by increasing mass.
So I'm actually doing, I guess technically it's a dirty bulk,
but I'm watching my calories so it's not fully dirty.
But I'm trying to gain mass in order to lean up in the spring when I'm eating better
by using the calories aggressively at the gym.
So I'm doing like two a days someday.
Yeah, shit, I need to.
Oh, Lord.
Okay.
Dude, I did not like how I felt over like a Halloween.
I was like looking at my costumes and I was like,
I'm not thrilled about that.
No, I feel you, man.
I feel you.
Donations, thank you so much.
Bam 86 for the first time of 25 years on January 25th,
2025, five planets will align.
Do you think that's when the Dodd will drop again or will it be Christmas?
I still think 12, 12, but I love the idea of the astrological K dot.
Like everything led to this.
I actually think on that day, that is when,
my mutant powers will activate.
That's what I think we have.
Thank you so much.
Daynepper.
A.O!
Appreciate that.
Thank you.
Austin B.
You've motivated me to get back on my fitness journey with your instapost.
Coy,
no more waiting around.
Love it.
It's so hard if you wait until January because everyone's in the gym and then you get
frustrated.
And then it's really easy to slip if you don't go every day.
So I'm starting my new years now.
I've been at the gym every day the last five days.
And that was even on Thanksgiving.
I went to the gym before Thanksgiving.
If I can do it now, I know I can do it in January.
So I'm trying to start my year up now, and that's been healthy.
It's the best to do it in this time.
And I would say myself, like, I know that I deal with depression in general,
but seasonal depression kind of compound stuff.
Getting active, moving around helps really clear your mind out.
So if anybody is dealing with some holiday blues, I highly recommend if all you can do
for the beginning is go for a walk, great.
But if you can get out there and run, if you can lift some weights,
If you can do a Zumba class or a spin class or martial arts, whatever, all of that, well, definitely help.
I'm so sore, but I'm so happy.
Yeah.
Aesop Rocky or Travis Scott.
ASAP.
A sap for, like, the linguistic genius.
Travis is great, but ASAP's like one of the best vocabularies in the history of hip-hop.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Awesome.
Thank you so much, damn life.
Appreciate the donation.
Daniel Breen, support to beat Roka.
Thank you.
Currently, we're in Grant Morrison's new X-Men run.
liking it so far any idea as to what we will see in season two of xman 97 i mean there have been
rerads that's been that's been announced i hope that we're not going to lose this apocalypse setup that
we had uh because i thought that that was going to be a very fascinating dealing with it from the
future and the past at the same time it sounded like a really interesting way to go as well as
the setup for onslaught it felt like but we'll see yeah i agree i think grant morrison's do xmen will
inform a lot of it especially with the wardrobe we know is like changing in season two it's smart to read it now
because you'll know how it is informing it,
but I don't know what they're going to end up doing.
Yeah.
Thank you so much to Trevor Fast.
The Nightfather, Winston Coy, do you guys think we will get a missed or fix it in the current?
I'm assuming he meant 616 for a world.
I assume.
For a World War Hulk movie or maybe more so after the Secret Wars reboot.
I think in Secret Wars not after.
Yeah, I think so too.
I think Secret Wars will probably see it.
Daniel Breen, G&X on repeat last week, Fave Track on it.
I mean, look, it is either man in the garden,
squabble up,
reincarnated or TV off.
You know, four of the 12th.
A quarter of it.
That's my problem is like I don't skip a track.
I think reincarnated is the most impactful
a song has been for me for 10 years or so.
So reincarnated is probably for me because it talks about Billy Holiday
it is obviously a Tupac beat,
but it's a deep cut Tupac beat off the soundtrack of like a movie he was in,
not even like one of his main tracks.
And it's a song that I love like the Tupac song.
It's also the closest I'll ever get,
I think,
to hearing a new Tupac song,
which is why it impacted me so deep.
So like I literally chose to move to California
instead of moving down the street to New York because of Tupac.
So like to hear a new Tupac song,
I think reincarnated's like not just on the album,
like one of the most important songs to me.
But it's also a counterpunch to,
the BS that was tailor of putting an AI Pock by actually never.
People like are like, why are you so mad at Drake or why do you like care about this so much?
I'm like, because the man disrespected an actual icon and pretended to be an icon.
Even you and I disagree, but like, like, look, you can't, you can't sit here and look at the number of tracks he's on,
the number of number ones, the amount of him being that relevant for a decade, but that does not mean
that we're not watching a colossal downfall.
Those are two very different things.
I agree with the second part, but I think McDonald's isn't a restaurant,
and I think Drake is McDonald's.
Like, you can call something important without it being good.
So here's the thing.
I can pull enough tracks where I can honestly go, no, no, no, no.
I'm not going to let you say that.
That doesn't mean that he hasn't done plenty of McDonald's food,
but there's, but there is in the same way that I love Gordon Ramsey.
Gordon Ramsey is the man, right?
I'm not going to call Greg Gordon Ramsey here,
but he put out like these frozen food stuff being like,
and it's Gordon Ramsey quality.
But frozen, it is trash.
Yeah, it's just getting the money off of your name.
It happens.
So I'm not going to let you do this.
He is having a colossal downfall.
I will admit it.
He lost this battle and he is losing the war.
But we're not going to sit here pretend like he hasn't had that kind of level.
If he acknowledged that he was a pop star, the equivalent of McDonald's,
I think he's a fantastic pop star.
I don't think he's a hip-hop artist.
We'll go to the next question.
What?
What?
No.
God, they are so, hold on.
Someone is trying to get me to do, I'm still live.
Just, I, I will call you.
All right, I'm not even a big Kendrick fan,
but I love how his music seems to bring all of LA together
and he got the young ins to Google Darlene Ortiz.
Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
I love it.
It's fantastic, man.
I love anything that unites people together for art,
and that has absolutely happened.
Canada can keep the other guy.
Creature Commandos are on Peacemaker, over under 40%.
What do you think?
Oh, interesting.
I hadn't even thought of that because it's next year,
peacemaker.
Um,
I don't think all of creature commandos would be possible
because of like the size of the team
and how much peacemaker has to do.
I would say a member maybe.
I'm going to take over on a member.
Okay.
Yeah, I'll take over on that for show.
Damn Life.
Thank you again for another donation,
keeping us moving.
Day Knapper,
what do you want playing on TVs
when you go to your ideal bars?
If it's football,
if it's football time,
I'm here for it.
Like,
that's always fun.
I went to one bar
that actually played all sitcoms.
They were running sitcoms
on all the different stuff
so you can watch some of like
your favorite moments,
like the,
if you're a friend's person,
like when everybody finds out.
So like, you know,
you see what,
Phoebe, like,
oh, my eyes!
My eyes!
And then like on fresh prints, you had like, what, Carlton dancing at the Oprah.
The whole bit, it gets slapped in the back of the head.
So that was, like, kind of fun that they would do that.
It was a cheers themed bar, but then it was sitcoms on all the TVs.
My bar plays 90s and 2000s, alt rock and pop.
So it's music videos from, like, when I was in high school and it's pretty perfect.
And it's an Irish pub.
So those things don't go together normally, but in this one environment, it's perfect.
Yeah. All right, DG. Winston and Coy for, for the winner. Thank you so much. Thank you, DG. Back up to Indiana, Jake. Y'all watch the crisis movies on HBO. I did. I actually, sad to say I bought them. They're not bad. They're a little disjointed in my opinion.
I enjoyed the Tomorrowverse leading up to it,
but the actual crisis movies were a little disjointed personally.
But did you see it, Coy?
I've not, actually.
I want to do crisis into Watchmen in HBO,
like the animated Watchmen.
I haven't had time for either,
but those are on the list of try to watch by the end of the year.
Yeah, Trevor Fast came in with another one.
Thank you, Mr. I crappin' shit.
I don't read many comics eye issues,
but there is one I read and collected the whole set.
my favorite, my three favorite IPs, Alien versus Predator versus Terminator.
Oh, I love that stuff.
I know ISUs, I'm sorry, that's rough.
But the current Predator stuff in Marvel is amazing.
Predator versus Black Panther is amazing.
He's going to do Predator.
The same writer is doing Predator versus Wolverine, and he's doing Predator versus Spider-Man,
and they're all great.
I haven't read Spider-Man, yeah, but the other ones are great.
Nice.
Luke, TG1, thank you so much.
Damn, like, thank you so much.
See, y'all came in with the, I appreciate that.
Y'all said, hey, we got you.
Hit the little ones.
Take them.
Uh,
Haskell coming in.
So we,
uh,
we do for,
uh,
the others 240.
Cuddle.
Yep.
What do we do for the others 240?
Cuddle.
Yep.
I don't know.
The other two hours and 40 minutes.
So 240.
What?
Was that when we,
we needed a bunch of them for the last half of the show?
I still don't understand.
Oh,
three minutes of love.
That's actually a good joke that took some breaking down.
Shout out to PLD for explaining it.
I think he just said, but he said three minutes of love, question mark.
And I think that that's what it was.
That's hilarious.
Daynapper, you roka, who?
The wind talker guys, let's effing go.
Let's go.
Winston Koyloff.
Armada.
Only collard greens I know is schoolboy cues.
Okay, great song.
I'll go try some.
some real ones for show understand why he used that name for the song uh galagos this chat just
pulled up like a prayer at the end yeah i love it i love it be town just wanted to support
love hearing you guys talk about movies you guys are holding it down with individual channels
to must i'm gonna do it every time i swear to god i swear to god thank you
our personal channels appreciate that i do appreciate that eric kirby mr marshall better overall
rapper not in popularity just straight up rapping skills k dot or royce to five nine dot dot royce is
fantastic but like i think dot has always had the ability i think what he has shown in the last
year and especially the speed at which this has happened i got to give him like because this is this is
This is, this is like Wayne dedication, mixtape, weezy level of production and that he's done.
But, but not just Wayne being able to spit it off, putting together full, like, Grammy,
potentially winning songs and disses in such short periods of time.
So I got to go, KDOT.
What do you think, Quay?
The chat's very mad at me for even talking about it.
I'm sorry, I like music audience.
I'm mad at you for like a hip-hop.
Apparently me talking about collard greens and black panthers, me thinking I'm a lot.
allowed to, but if I'm asked a question, I'm going to answer this.
Like, I just, the level of disrespect in this chat, this.
You can say that kind of stuff if he's out here in these streets trying to, if you try to
say the N word, first of all, I dive through this computer screen and beat your ass.
And I'd accept it.
I'm not Drake.
I'm not pretending to be something I'm not.
I think dot by a comfortable margin because not only is it showing a skill.
And I know we're excluding popularity, but it's so.
universally like interesting to people that don't love hip hop people that do love hip hop the lyricism
can be broken down it's approachable but it's also got layers like there's a skill that is also like
transcending the niche or the hyper popular like he's bringing everybody together and i think that's a
lyrical genius that we don't see a lot um and i think royce is incredible i honestly think royce
doesn't get enough love but i think kendrick is like a generational talent like i think
Royce is one of the best underappreciated, but I think Kendrick is like an all time.
So it's hard to compare.
It is.
And I'll tell you this.
Over both of them, I saw somebody put this in the chat and I agree.
And I just went to his concert last week.
Lupe.
He unfortunately went a little off the deep end on some stuff and it kind of disfated into the background.
But if you're talking about just straight skill, Lupe is a monster.
All right.
Armagh.
I'd say it about Joyner Lucas, too.
We mentioned him earlier.
But like, I think Joyner lyrically doesn't get enough love.
Yeah, yeah.
Staples or Keem?
Staples.
Staples.
Yeah.
Mike Joyce, happy Everflus gone for embarrassing losses in a row.
Yeah, you got to go.
I'm glad to go.
I'm glad he gone, man.
For all the bear sped.
His name is Aberflus?
Oh, Iberflus.
That's his real name?
Yeah.
It's, it's mad Iberflus.
It looked like a Dr. Sue shit.
I didn't, okay.
He's gone.
I'm learning about this guy as he gets fired.
I'm like, this guy?
Here we go.
we explained it for you coy the bears game would be like editor telling sony you have 32 seconds
to add to the end of the movie or it's being locked as is and sony let the time expire
okay thank you for speaking in my terms i appreciate that haskell with the double
like the joke and the double punch well played sir i love it uh j p burnett uh love you guys and
supporting to beat roca the penguin series and anticipation for batman two made me restart the
arkham games love this universe i do need to replay the arkham games and maybe that's what
do over Christmas. That's always, that's always a good time for sure. I've got one. I haven't,
I haven't played any Arkham game ever and, uh, I need to. I know. Dude, I just don't have time
for game. Like, I don't have time to game. Quoy. I have Miles Morales and I've played 25 minutes up.
Coy. Here's what you need to do. You already do your live streams. Talk about your comic
stuff while you're playing it. But I'm back in the board in comics. But, but you can, you can, in this case,
you go, that's my hands. I get it. This time to have time to bag and boredom. This time you play,
you play Batman and you talk about the comics that came out that day.
I need more hours in the day.
You would crush.
Oh my God.
Don't sleep.
Just play video games online.
It's healthy.
What a healthy.
Thank you, Doctor's orders.
Absolutely.
Chris So-Sek, sorry.
It's the most anticipated movie next year.
We were talking about that a little bit earlier.
Obviously, we really care about Superman.
I had said that I actually am more excited about Thunderbolts personally.
not because of anything that Superman did wrong.
It's starting in the universe, all that.
I have my own reasons.
We mentioned it's sinners, some other stuff,
but yeah, we did talk about that earlier, but thank you.
And then Superman and accountant too, again.
Yes.
And then Hashy B sending some love fellas happy Friday.
Thank you so, so much, guys.
We did it.
PLD, what was the final count just so we can let people know?
I'm so curious.
So that's hilarious.
PLD says he coaches like Dr.
Sue's shit, too.
If you're about
even...
Oh, man.
Our final number
was 95, go.
We almost broke a hundo.
That's crazy.
I'll tell you what I'm thankful for
this damn audience.
I genuinely am.
Coy, you want to plug yourself
one more time as we get out of here?
Yeah, I got my own page.
Coy Jondro, all sorts of YouTube stuff.
I am probably doing
a best of movies of the year,
best TV of the year.
Might do a best album to the year,
but after this chat, who knows?
Am I allowed?
Maybe I'll have Winston on.
let me know it's okay to talk about certain or I'll just pass to him uh an overseer uh but I really
am proud not an overseer whoa whoa whoa whoa that face was that not your face did I not just have that
but my experience uh of the year has been like art is needed now more than ever I really feel like
um the divisiveness with everything is is crazy like the fact that we've made art so
we want to fight and it sucks.
Like it really sucks that the internet wants to fight.
And I'm probably getting off Twitter for the most part.
I want to not do that with YouTube.
So when I talk about art,
I'm going to talk about the stuff I like.
I'm going to celebrate it.
So if you want to talk about stuff,
in a celebration head over there,
the world sucks enough.
We don't need to make our art a battle.
So my page is always going to be celebrating
whatever it is that's coming out that I enjoyed.
So it's a lot of best of.
And I'm probably going to dive into music for the first time,
which scares the shit out of me.
So join me.
yep no absolutely um wait what hey chris i i know i'm not supposed to be in the chat but someone
wanted to say that we're not angelino so we don't we didn't grow up here uh but that's where you're
wrong i may have grown up in dallas but my mom's entire family is from here so i have spent
half of my life in los angeles continuously and i don't claim i like it i just like it yeah
fine you can do you can which is fine i get it like you know someone
that you were here 24-7, it may not be that. But when I tell you, I spent entire summers,
entire winters here, because this is where my family is, it is what it is, man. I know plenty of
spots, like, beyond M&Ms and everything else. And nobody talking about the school system.
I was literally here with my cousins all the time, spending two to three months at a time.
But that's not important. We're not going to end on a bad vibe or an argument or nothing like that.
I got nothing but love for everybody in the chat and for everybody here in the Los Angeles
here and all that good stuff.
it's my second home.
Oh, his page, too.
I'm on the page.
Exactly.
At the swaggy blurred, come check me out, man.
Again, you're going to get a double dose of blurred breakdown.
Most likely what I'll end up happening is I'll put one out today
and I'll put out one out for you tomorrow just because I got to also do, like, go to work today.
But other than that, I got nothing but love.
Thank you so much for helping us get across that finish line.
Go Black Friday ate up.
Go Cyber Monday ate up.
We will see all next week, man, on capes and cows.
without this mother. We're still
