Starting point is 00:00:01 Javier Bardem. It's going to be in the X-Men movie as a villain. Holy moly is going to play Mr. Sinister. It's possible if the new rumor is true. Disney Plus loses a ton of subscribers. Are they going to change their game plan? Are they going to just keep on going with what they're doing? Hopefully pick it up.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Captain America may release some clips. Is it enough to help? the movie or is it going to hurt the movie? We'll give our thoughts on that. Ben Affleck's going to be in a new movie with Gillian Anderson. There's a few other things out there that we'll discuss. And the question will be, can Steph and Mike pull it off this week? Because Mike has really brought down every single person he's been on the show with so far.
Starting point is 00:00:56 He's tried. Steph was doing fine without him. He comes back. nothing happened. So can it happen today? We will find out on the Christian Harlov show with Steph and Mike. Let's do it. Welcome back to the Christian Harlov show. Joining me on the show today, as always is Steph Sabra. Hello, Steph. Hi. Yeah, I heard Roxy hit like two. I don't say it. I want Mike to hear it. I want Mike to hear it. He doesn't know. There's no way he knows. Mike, how you doing? Well, if Roxy hit 240,
Starting point is 00:01:38 or whatever she is going to say, I'll stop now. 240, get the hell out of here. Yeah, I think the number was 240 is what you're out of your mind. She had 240 questions. You know what's hilarious? Well, hold on, hold on. Stop for a second. You know what's hilarious is that my Roka, to start the week, had 193.
Starting point is 00:02:01 I don't even think he understands yet what happened. Then 242 happens. How does 242 happen? But here's the good news. We haven't even started yet. And you guys have 47. Okay. I'm liking the action.
Starting point is 00:02:15 How do you have 240 questions? Because she's a likable one of a kind. Why hasn't she been getting like consistently winning all the time? You want to know why? Yeah, I do. There's two reasons why. There's a reason why Rokka. One reason you're going to say and I'm going to say bullshit on it.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Okay. You don't know. I do. One. Roka hit a crazy number with one. 93. Okay. Roxy hit that number.
Starting point is 00:02:43 One of the main reasons is that Derek Johnson has returned. And Derek Johnson has been helping and supporting everybody, including you guys. Derek Johnson is raising it. And he's thrown in a bunch. After, because to be fair,
Starting point is 00:02:57 Roxy also got a bunch of super stickers on on, on, when it was, whenever she was on Tuesday. So I said moving forward to next week, people want to put in super stickers. they're more than welcome to do it. We're not going to,
Starting point is 00:03:09 we're not going to count it to the tally next week because the, because even you put, if you put in like a, you know, a $2 super check, you can at least ask a question if you want to. So there's no question with super stickers. So those won't count to the tally next week,
Starting point is 00:03:23 but to be fair, to you guys, they will count. So there were extenuating circumstances. And she got a bunch of super stickers from Crystal and some of things, but she still got like 130 regular questions in general. So it was like, it was a crazy,
Starting point is 00:03:37 it was a crazy one. But you guys, have a chance and we have a lot to talk about. There's a lot to discuss and we're going to bring up all this stuff and I don't know if you guys saw the rumor about Javier Bardem and I sent it to you guys so of course you saw it. This is an interesting story because the X-Men are going to
Starting point is 00:03:55 really be the big thing moving forward, right? I mean, they kind of have to be. So I'm excited to see what they're going to do with this casting overall and Jeff Snyder's talking about how you know, the cinema con, they probably do a lot of announcements, but it's funny because I'm so entrenched in the Marvel world right now
Starting point is 00:04:15 because I'm doing, myself, I'm doing a rewatch of the MCU where my friend Sam is reacting to it for the first time. And we just, where is it? I just, oh yeah. So we recorded Infinity War and we're posting it tomorrow,
Starting point is 00:04:31 but just to show you, look at that. Oh my gosh, I hate this. for her. What am I looking at? Oh, oh. Actual tear streaming down her face on that one.
Starting point is 00:04:44 It happens considerably. So innocent. She's been shielded by the outside world's opinions. She's got no clue what's about to happen in general. And yeah, there's so many things that happen in the reaction that I don't want to spoil for people, let them watch it. But it's a great one. And that's going to be tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:05:06 and I'm not even going to do anything else for Saturday. Normally I post something on Saturday, but we're just going to let that one sit for the weekend. Because of it's... I'm looking at the stories you sent. I think there's one week. Well, you might have covered it on an earlier show, but we were going to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:05:24 The majors coming back to the MCU, maybe. We can discuss that. Yeah, we covered it yesterday, or two days ago, we can talk about it. Let's bring this one up. People are asking why I'm eating, if they are asking why I'm eating on air, because it's one of our sponsors and I wanted to eat.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Magic spoon? Factor. Still good. Chicken is delicious. Chicken? Factor, yeah. Yeah, I always forget your three hours ahead. Yeah, it's delicious.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Chicken at this hour? Absolutely not. No, no, no. For you, no, but for me, yeah. But normally, I won't eat on air, but I'm doing that because factors delicious. But it's not even time for them, yeah. Go off.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Okay, here's the rumor. So they say, we may know some stuff on there we go we may know who marvel studios is eyeing for mr sinister now Winston might not be happy about this because he was hoping he was Ryan Gosling Ryan Gosling's going to be tied up to uh star wars so that ain't going to happen casting rumors are swirling for characters like Cyclops jean gray storm we finally might have news on who Marvel Studios wants as the villainous mr sinister the closest that we've come to solid update on X-Men reboot his report from the trades revealing that the Hunger Games
Starting point is 00:06:38 Ballot of Songbirds and Snake's scribe Michael Leslie is pending the screenplay. Who knows how much has changed since then, but as far as we're aware, no director is attached, and Leslie might not even be the current writer on the project. These freaking ads, they have a lot of ads on the site. I understand it. I get it. I get it. Despite all that, the casting rumors continue coming in thick and fast.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Yesterday, we shared a breakdown of the actors who are supposedly in running for X-Men, and today we have possible Mr. Sinister casting. According to my time to shine, hello, Marvel Studios is eyeing Harvey Bardam to play the iconic X-Men villain in the MCU. You might recall that he was once said to be in line to play the Fantastic Four First Steps Galactus. Mr. Sinister is expected to serve as the big bad of the franchise in the next saga of storytelling, meaning will likely see him in more than just one movie. However, the end game is reportedly an Adventures versus X-Men movie.
Starting point is 00:07:30 In the comics, Nathaniel Essex is brilliant, but twisted genetics and supervillain obsessed with genetic manipulation and the perfect mutant gene, often experimenting on Cyclops and Gene Gray due to his fascination with the summer's bloodline, created by Chris Claremont, Mark Silvestri. He appeared first in 1987, addressed in the future of the X-Men in the MCU. Kevin Feigey said, I think you will see that continues in our next few movies with some X-Men players that you might recognize. Right after that, the whole story of Secret Wars leads us into a new age of mutants and the X-Men. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:03 So let's start with this first. Mike, you know, what do you think of, well, both Javier Bardem as the role and the fact that they will be, if they are indeed using Mr. Sinister as the lead villain, is this the way to go? Yeah, I think so, 100%, man, because it seems like I would assume Magneto's going to be in there somewhere, but the fact that we had the entire Fox franchise based around him really, pretty much. And Mr. Sinnercy, we saw glimpses of him. I think it was at the end of Dark Phoenix. He might have popped up in a post-credits thing. But yeah, and Haber Bergdem, he played my favorite
Starting point is 00:08:40 Bond villain of all time. So no one can play menacing like that guy in cold, calculating evil. Like, so, yeah, everything about this. The only, like, I'm so excited. I mean, I'm, I shouldn't say I'm so excited, but I'm excited to see the X-Men, but I'm also a little trepidious because every now and then they'll throw in like, Hugh Jackman's going to be it for the next 10 years and Kelsey Grammer's back. And it's just like, nah, clean slate. Deadpool Wolverine was supposed to say,
Starting point is 00:09:05 hey, go Wolverine, you're on your way. We fixed it. You're the hero. You're the ex-man. This is the new generation. Give us all new people. What do you think, Steph? I think that I love Javier Bardem.
Starting point is 00:09:19 The things that I'm seeing that I wonder, because I know the actor, the character's name is something. Essex like super British right so if they if that matters at all but I love him he's great and he's super versatile I think he is a good villain and he can play like creepy and weird really well but I don't really have picks for who would be better than him and but I think going this direction is really cool I love his connection to Jean Grey and Cyclops or yeah yeah yeah so I think it'll be really good. I'm excited for the X-Men.
Starting point is 00:09:57 They've always been my favorite out of all the Marvel comics. Mike, didn't you watch X-Men 97? Yeah, I did. And they used him, and he's the one who kind of is... Again, Magneto kind of took the through line, but he was there kind of with the Goblin Queen and Madeline Pryor and stuff, but... He was pretty creepy
Starting point is 00:10:15 in that show. Winston, one of Ryan Gosling for him? Yeah. I thought that was weird, too. I love Winston more than anything. He's a very close friend. His his casting decisions are questionable to say the least. He wanted... At best.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Yeah, at best. He wanted Paul Giammati as... I can't remember. The audience can tell me who it was. Was it Batman? I don't remember who it was. As Batman? Don't quote me.
Starting point is 00:10:44 The audience remember more than I do. That is... Please tell me. It was ridiculous. It was ridiculous. Yeah, that feels weird. Because I haven't seen all the X-Men 90s. I don't know if I've watched all of them,
Starting point is 00:10:55 but I did grow up watching them. Sorry. Sorry. Oh, Paul Gimdi for due? What? Oh my God. That's weird. Reem Richards.
Starting point is 00:11:05 That is so weird. Yeah, Ryan Gosling is Mr. Sinister. It doesn't make much sense to me either, but he has range. So who knows? I'm not saying it would have been impossible, but yeah. No, you know, you know, I brought up Paul Giamati, uh, mockingly as Batman. here.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Mother fucking Batman. There is. Paul Giamatti is Batman. What movie is that from? When he said talks like he says they can. Well, I mean, a couple different. I mean, that,
Starting point is 00:11:42 that one. Every movie. That was, that was channeling private parts. You're a fucking anti-Christ. He's a fucking antichrist. Or liar, liar.
Starting point is 00:11:53 I feel like he does that a lot. He's immature. The man's immature. So great. That's funny. But either way. This is interesting because, again, the casting behind it is really good. And I think Javier Barna is great.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Not only, Mike, was he great in Bond, which he was, and I agree with you. But no country for old men is one of the best villains maybe of all time. Yeah. He's just so menacing in that. And like, just a true or true psychopath. So I'd like to see what he's able to do because he's just such a versatile actor where he can do the villain and scare the hell out of you. But then he can be like that comforting father or best friend. I mean, he was so great in Dune.
Starting point is 00:12:38 He was so great in June because of what he was able to do in that role, he was able to bring humor into it that wasn't forced. Like we're going to talk about something later that I thought, again, was there was some really forced humor that I think is a disservice to what they're trying to do. but he did not do that in June. There was humor in that, and he made that work. So I love the casting. I love the fact that they're leaning in with X-Men. So we'll see. What do you guys think, man?
Starting point is 00:13:06 You think this is something that they should be doing, not doing? Do you think this is the right cast? Do you think that they should get somebody else, someone unknown? What say you? Put your thoughts in there and let me know. I want to know what you guys think about all. The next one, and this is where definitely going to get a lot of thoughts on this one, Disney Plus, not doing great. Disney Plus lost 700,000 subscribers in Q4, 2024.
Starting point is 00:13:39 The Disney Plus service reportedly lost 700,000 subscribers over the last three months of 2024. As a result, and not counting India's ultra-cheap Disney Plus Hot Star Service, Disney Plus now has a, has 120, 4.6 million subscribers worldwide. The company reporting on the final calendar quarter of 2024, which is also the first quarter of the fiscal 2025, says ESPN Plus also lost 700,000 subscribers in the same period, but Hulu added 1.6 million, which brings up to 53.6.
Starting point is 00:14:12 The company's streaming business was reportedly profitable for its third straight quarter and beat key financial metrics. Even so, this is a long way from June, September, 2024, when 4.4 million subscribers signed on. Speculation is rife as to the reason why. From price hikes to expired promotions to a lack of original content, additionally the brands that do bring people in, namely Star Wars, Marvel aren't the guarantees that they once were.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Company is also forecasting another modest decline in subscriptions for 2025. It comes as Disney's theatrical business bounced back last year with the help of Moana 2, Inside Out 2, and Deadpool and Wolverine. According to Nielsen, Disney still remains number one, among all media companies in terms of total TV usage with Bluey, Graz Anatomy, Fox's animation domination shows with still huge draws. I will not read anybody. I know why they do it,
Starting point is 00:15:05 but I will not read anybody's article that calls the Super Bowl the big game. I hate it. It's so stupid. I hate it. It's so stupid. That's the hill you're going to die on? Yes. It's the dumbest average.
Starting point is 00:15:19 It's the dumbest average. It's the dumbest average. advertising for a thing ever. It's like, okay, listen. Hey, hey, wait, guys, I know you're going to talk about our show. You're going to talk about the Christian Harlov show. If you do, if you talk about it any other thing, you can't call it the Christian Harlov show. You have to call it the show where they talk about movie stuff. What? Use my fucking name. Use the name of what you're promoting. Yes, the Super Bowl is coming up. Oh, yeah, the Super Bowl, the big game. What big game? It's so stupid. Hate it. Dumb. Anyway. Hey, do that's a good take sometimes, but then you got some stupid takes. I think that's a stupid take. Your face is a stupid take. Everything about that?
Starting point is 00:16:00 It's the big, my face is the big game. It's the big game. Yeah, it is. The best biggest game in town this face. Shut up. Somebody should have been the big game in Schmodel. I don't know why I never call anybody the big game. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Yeah, that's a good one. Yeah. And then you should have been pissed off about it. Yeah, well, because it would have been more relevant. It would be right up there with pants optional. Oh, my God. I'll never forget it. Did I ever tell?
Starting point is 00:16:22 talk about that i'm not going to say who it was i'm not going to say who it was and i don't know if i ever did but you never talked about it publicly i don't ever talk of publicly but i would favorite things of all time in the showdown of all i would just say that when teams were coming there was i used to highly suggest names to what i think that a for an announcer i could that's politely roll off the tongue i could get the stuff going like and then there's other ones that are suggested sometimes like okay it's not bad it's not bad um then there's times where things are pitched and I'm like, no. And there was a team that was formed
Starting point is 00:16:55 and they were pitching names and the manager of that team said, well, they really like the name, Pants Optional. I said, absolutely not. I said, I don't care what they like. Absolutely not. Brought you by so many different reasons.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Age 1, here comes Pants Optional. Ladies and gentlemen, for the championship and their opponents, Pants Optional. like what we're watching like an improv troupe name I fucking love it yeah
Starting point is 00:17:27 I know that I know that the big game is a copyright issue it's so stupid for what why would that be a copyrighted that's the whole point they don't like bring it up because it's copyrighted okay that's my point my point is like why would you copyright the name of it if you want people to talk about what you're doing
Starting point is 00:17:43 now I see your point that's what I'm saying all right Harlow I hate it so people can't say the big game they can only say it's the big game People can't, no, they say the big game because they don't want people to say Super Bowl. It's so dumb. It's the dumbest. NFL does, yes, NFL does dumb things every five minutes, but this is one of the dumbest things that they do.
Starting point is 00:18:07 We want you to promote, we want you to make sure you tell everybody that something's coming up this on. Everybody knows. It's the arrogance of it. Everybody knows. I was not following you. I like that voice. Everybody knows. I retract my statement.
Starting point is 00:18:20 I retract my statement of you've been any idiots for this one. Well, you still have a stupid face. All right. So let's talk about this Disney Plus thing because that's not good. And I do agree with what they broke down, Steph. I think it's a soup of a bunch of different things. Right. Those prices that they keep jacking up, they don't have the type of content that justifies it.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Where Netflix has a lot of stuff. So when they keep jacking up their price to 25, you don't want to lose the live events. You don't want to lose stranger things. You don't want to lose all these different things. So people keep doing it. What does Disney have besides, look,
Starting point is 00:18:59 even if I wasn't doing this, I would keep Disney Plus because my kids watch it all the time, as they mentioned, Bluey, the movies, all of that. But as far as original content, they don't really make a lot of original content. And like they said in that article, Marvel stuff has not been great.
Starting point is 00:19:16 The Star Wars stuff has been pretty, average if not bad. So what do they do here, stuff? I don't know what I think the best move that they've made is the putting Hulu on it because that's the only reason I've been using
Starting point is 00:19:32 Disney Plus for a long time is because I'm watching shows on Hulu. I do I think that they need to either make the price less and make it like kind of like just Disney original like just like a Disney channel.
Starting point is 00:19:48 you know, families will have it and people who like to rewatch the Marvel movies. Or if they're going to go into trying to make their, like, great original content, they need to do what Apple and Netflix and everyone else is doing, which is really focusing their, on really great content. I think they're putting out too much. And it was all at once and it was confusing. And a lot of people, you know, don't even care about the shows that they had that were original anymore. So I think they kind of need to clean the slate a little bit and decide what they want to be. Like they had the Hulu merger and all of us were like, are we, they're going to start making more, you know, adult type content or is it going to stay for kids? And I don't know what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Well, they also spent way too much money on and someone said in the comment section two, which I agree with, Mike, that they spent so much money. money on six episodes, you get $200 million for six episodes, and they're not like, you spend that kind of money on six episodes. They better be the best episodes of television you've ever seen, but they're, again, subpar and bad. So what do you think about this news? 700,000 subscribers lost in Q4. I mean, that would seem massive. Like, I pay yearly, so it hit it out. Like, I'm not renewing it next year. Like, I don't watch it. I own all the MCU films. Daredevil I'll watch this year.
Starting point is 00:21:20 But I'm not going to, I don't watch it. I don't have kids. So I don't watch. I'm not a Disney guy per se. So yeah, I'm not going to renew it. Especially that's like Netflix every now and then they seem to be raising all the time. But you have so much there. Like HBO Max doesn't seem to raise a lot.
Starting point is 00:21:40 And I think they've got the best library. Yeah, they have a delivery. films like Netflix has a lot of crap. Yeah, definitely. Just crap up there. But, but Disney, they don't always have, I feel like they have the least amount of stuff, but I think the one's saving grace for them is it's Disney and kids. Yeah, I mean, they can, they definitely have a bunch of different things in there. Like, as they mentioned in that article, right, there's, they still have a lot of success
Starting point is 00:22:06 with that, with their library that they have and the, and the kids shows and the, and the minutes watched for sure. But they, they're losing a lot of stuff because a lot of people sign up to these things because they got to decide on what they're going to spend their money on if you're going to jack up your prices. Is it worth it for me to either cancel you guys and come back if there is a show that I really care about? I'll come back for that month. Or do I stick with Apple? Do I stick with Netflix? Because that's the competitive nature of it. And I also think that's why Bob Eiger is probably smart and probably did lead to it. But I think it makes sense to where he's when he's taken some of these things off,
Starting point is 00:22:42 the Moana's and the Mandalorian and Groga making the movies. You're going to put more in your bank account by doing that. Granted, you're going to lose some subscribers in the meantime, but it might balance itself out, if that makes sense. I also think that they could reconsider the way that they're dropping movies. Like Netflix, to me, it's like,
Starting point is 00:23:06 let's say, for example, we just watched the Jamie Fox, Cameron Dia's movie. It's an original action movie. I bet you. What? God bless you.
Starting point is 00:23:15 I liked it. I thought it was just like a fun at home movie and they have great chemistry. So it's just like, you know, and they, but Netflix has a lot of act, like great original movies that I've really, really liked old guard extraction, Adam Project, you know, there's a ton. Disney, you know, they have their original movies like Moana too, but I feel like they should really reconsider doing maybe like in-app purchases of those movies. movies exclusively to Disney Plus or making those movies available just on Disney Plus early just
Starting point is 00:23:48 for subscribers because it's like they're the only ones with their content not releasing it originally on their own streaming network. They're still doing theater, trying to get in-home theater on like Prime and other sources. So maybe that would help a little bit. But I think that it's interesting they have National Geographic. They have Marvel. They have Lucasfilm.
Starting point is 00:24:11 and it's still those are like big property yeah those brands are are just not doing well not doing well which is interesting they put all their money in three in multiple brands that have done so well and on their platform they're not doing great no because again look star wars is in the shits marvel's trying to make a comeback um and so all the stuff that they have is just the older content which is still doing well and like i said like right now the people that are really keeping Disney afloat Disney Plus are the kids because that that's where you got all their stuff you got all the I mean that's what my my daughter my seven year old is going to Disney Plus first because that is really who that is geared to right now. But you know there's more content. I think Daredevil is going to help but we'll see.
Starting point is 00:25:03 But do you think that those the Lucas. film Marvel aren't doing as well because they're handicapped to Disney or because it's just like, you know, it's just a coincidence. No, I just, I mean, like I said, I think that Marvel right now, I think, is trying to rewrite their ship. And I think that they're trying to make new. That's why speaking to Daredevil, like Daredevil was supposed to be an 18 episode series in the vein of almost like not, not as goofy as she.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Hulk, but supposed to continue more so in that line than it was the original Netflix thing. And then they, thank God, regrouped and said, no, let's not do that. Let's go back to that gritty feel and let's try this out. I think, and we'll talk about it after the break, but Captain America, I think,
Starting point is 00:25:53 was made before they're kind of rebranding, I don't know, the movie itself looks decent in that trailer, but then those scenes came out, and I don't know, maybe I'm just speaking, I don't know what the audience thinks about those scenes yet, and maybe I'm wrong, but I think that Thunderbolts could turn it around leading into Fantastic Four,
Starting point is 00:26:11 leading to the Avengers, or maybe Captain America turns out to be good. I don't know, but they did, but they need to restore their brand in order for people to care to go watch it on Disney Plus. Yeah. All right, guys, what do you feel about all of this? About Disney Plus and you think that is
Starting point is 00:26:27 a problem, not a problem? What say you? I have been watching movies at night with my wife and we know how much time we have before like, you know, we're going to crash. So Vaya is right there. And I am loving the sleep ones from Vaya.
Starting point is 00:26:52 I am loving. So I'm going to tell you about Vaya, tell you about kickoff. Check it out. Oh yeah. Baya is back, everybody. And I knew people were excited about that. Oh, they're coming back. Are they coming back?

Oh, man, I'm telling you, the sleep via the gummies are...
Starting point is 00:31:20 Harry needs that. Oh, I try to drug him with melatonin every now and then because he's the worst. sleeper. Tell you what's so great about it, Steph, because I've, I've had, you know, in past, if I had some, even if it used to smoke beforehand, I wake up and I'd feel like, oh, my God, I can't get up. I feel like,
Starting point is 00:31:38 almost like a hangover. Like, no, not not with these. I'm up. I'm ready. I'm going. It's great. I love it. Anyway, okay, so listen, yesterday I kept getting people tagging me on these clips from Captain
Starting point is 00:31:54 America. And this is one of them. this is the first one that actually they sent to me. And let me start with this. And I showed Steph this. Mike, do you watch this clip, right? I sure did.
Starting point is 00:32:07 What's wrong with this? With this right here. What's wrong with this? Watch this. What's wrong with all that right there? What? What just happened? What just makes no sense?
Starting point is 00:32:17 Like this guy on the left, hitting the lump on the log. What? Yeah, okay, that's that guy. Why is the log he just, doesn't see the log on the side of the road and just runs into it? Who knows?
Starting point is 00:32:30 Maybe the falcon shot him or something. Maybe the falcon knocked the tree down. I don't know. Maybe it looks like the falcon knocks the guy in the middle and then the guy in the middle hits the guy in the right. What happens to the guy in the left? He just drives off the road. Watch.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Much. Oh, they fell? Okay. I'll go. Like, the one thing I'm, the thing that I'm most concerned about with this kind of thing is the fact that like, this and then the one cap he's fighting the guy. They're these generic guys in black suits.
Starting point is 00:33:02 I know. And then this, what's the Marvel, the MCU, this is not the 2008. They can embrace the cornyness of the suit. I have a feeling because originally the Serpent Society was a big thing in it and they had Roman Raines.
Starting point is 00:33:14 And those are characters that are snake themed outfits with Roman rain powers. Oh, you're talking about that. I have a feeling that they, when Gene Carlos Zito came aboard, they weren't going to put him in some snake costume. So now there's some kind of paramilitary group.
Starting point is 00:33:27 They're going to have patches that have like a cobra head on it and like where the serpent's site is. Like you're the MCU. You've earned the right to be goofy and do. Yeah. Like go out there. You're not doing guys in black outfits that you can buy at Walmart. This was this was pretty goofy when they had like I like the idea where it is. Let me see.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Hold on. I'll bring it back up. But the whole thing that they, there you go, that thing. So the thing that I liked, I would have liked them to stop this clip right here. He gets the generic guys, whatever shoots him. Okay, that's our new falcon. Instead, we get this. I don't like that dance.
Starting point is 00:34:11 But that's the least of our problems. Then we also get to this. Now, the fight here is a lot of talking going on in this fight. And it is a slow fight. It is not exciting. I'm rooting for Anthony Mackey. I like him as Sam a lot. I want to see him as Thrive as Captain America.
Starting point is 00:34:34 I liked what he did in Falcon and Winter Soldier. I like that show more than most. This fight did not look good, but I'll tell you, it looked like an endgame compared to the scene that they released with Harrison Ford and his Secret Service person. That was brutal to watch for so many different. reasons. It was so boring. It was slow. There was nothing going on. And all respect, I don't know
Starting point is 00:35:00 who the actress is. Not holding her own in that scene with Harrison Ford. It is a terribly acted scene and he is struggling. He is struggling to make that scene work. It's a brutal scene. That's two scenes, though. It doesn't mean
Starting point is 00:35:16 two scenes make a bad movie. No, but if you're trying to build hype for this movie that is behind the eight ball from a lot of people. That's what you released. put stuff out that you don't isn't your best you put your best out there like i think didn't they they try to do that with craven and i and again i kind of like craven and it was one of the best scenes in the film that opening jail breaks so they put that out there so at least it was like okay the action's good then you get to the move and you're like ah well but at least they put their best foot forward
Starting point is 00:35:44 if this is the best foot forward i know i know that that's the one step what did you think you saw both of these clips what do you think of both these clips uh yeah i mean i wonder if it would have taken me like two to three times to notice that the motorcyclist ran off to the side that is killer i i so about the little details and movies like this and so it's like damn like if you miss that what is going to happen because that's like someone on set should have seen that pretty easily uh i don't love a lot of talking and action fighting scenes. So hopefully that was kind of the most of it. And that's why they used it. Because I don't, I don't know. But yeah, it's not, I'm really nervous about it. I really, I feel
Starting point is 00:36:36 exactly like you. Like I want it to be good. Yeah, I wanted to be good. I liked the trailer. I still don't. And I was going back and forth with with Luke, the producer on the show. And he's, and we both like, we still don't. This movie's coming out in like a week and a half, two weeks. What is this movie about? I was talking to some people at work through the day. Like, yeah, what do we do? Like, the Red Hulk is in it. Kind of.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Like, what, we don't know what the goal and the leader's the bad guy. But, like, I was talking to this, my friend, Marvel, whether you love the movies or not, their action is always good. Right. Because usually you've heard stories where they have a whole separate team that even if the director doesn't know action, our second unit takes care of it. But it's always the action's always good. Right. So for this, I'm just kind of like, what are we doing, man? Okay, so go away because we're talking about the movie.
Starting point is 00:37:29 So it's like, like I said, we all said, we haven't seen the movie yet. It could be good. Don't be an asshole face. What's we got? What do we got? I deleted to the comment. Don't be an asshole face. The point of the point is that you can look at scenes and you can say, those scenes don't look good.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Like, Steph and I, if you're just, what I would say is there's probably Q-tips in your house, clean your ears, get them, get them out. And we'll repeat the same thing that we just said, which was this movie, we hope, is good because the trailer itself was a good trailer. So going into it, you can go into this movie and you can say, look, those scenes weren't great, but that movie was really solid. And that's my hope going into it, right? I'm talking about my job and our job is to say and be honest and say, what do we think about this trailer? So that's not called hate. again, clean your ears out, clean them, dig in there, get all that shit out of there and throw them in,
Starting point is 00:38:24 and then just listen to the show and then be part of the conversation and say something like a lot of the classy people were saying, which is, I disagree. I like this. I didn't think this team was that bad. I would actually blame it on the director more so than anybody else, which is fair. That's a fair conversation. Otherwise, get the fuck out of here. I don't need you in here.
Starting point is 00:38:42 But, Steph, you know, this is something that you could see turning into a good, movie if they do it the right way there's just a lot of uh i think that you're right though i think the directing might be the problem because on both of those clips because as the audience said if the actress was directed in that particular way and it was cut that way and they released it in that way that could be a directing producing problem that's what it seemed like to me it seemed like she was directed to play subtle calm and just super subdued and kind of let harrison ford take you know this like old like guy who's just a rough and and be a little bit of the comedic humor in that scene. So it felt like that to me because I actually just looked at her what I think is her or IMDB
Starting point is 00:39:33 and I've seen her in a few things and I've never thought like, oh, she's bad. So I, that felt like and when I saw, I was like, I feel like that was a specific choice made by someone on set for her to be like just one level very chill. which obviously feels it just felt like a very bizarre scene to come out with as you're right right right one of your clips why are you promoting with those scenes like that doesn't that doesn't like hey this this is going to get them and even even if that scene is completely wonderfully acted between the two harrison ford and and the actress in in the scene even if it was wonderfully acted that scene what is it it's just like oh it's like it's like it's like it's like you know what it is it's
Starting point is 00:40:18 another thing I can't stand about Netflix, which is the work. Oh my God. Don't even get me started. You're going, oh, what's this movie about? And they show some random scene. It's a serial killer movie. But in the scene that they show, it's a person ordering eggs. And then they just go, well, thanks a lot. And then it cuts. It's like, what is that? What is that movie? That is the hill I'll die on. It is such a discerbust to the movies to randomly select a scene. And it not even be it's like they somehow find an algorithm that's like pick the least significant
Starting point is 00:40:55 scene so the least significant characters of this movie for the trailer that's what netflix feels like you have to like go in there with a plan but that's what this scene is that's what this scene harrison for it is it's like it's the random scene on netflix that pops up it's not something you promote the movie with it's just like a random scene that pops up so um we'll see i mean i'm going to see it on tuesday my fingers are crossed for it i hope it's I hope that I come out of it. In the same way, look, you know, it's another movie that to that same person that commented that silly nonsense, you could have said, well, I could go on a Twitter and hear some negative stuff about Transformers 1. Well, I didn't like the trailer to Transformers 1.
Starting point is 00:41:35 I actually hated it. I hated it. I thought it was going to be an absolute shitbox. And I walked into it, and it was one of my favorite movies of the year. It was on my top 10. I loved it. So you have to be able to understand this as a person who watched. as anything, that not everyone is going to feel the way that you do about scenes or trailers or anything else it's going to be. And not everybody needs to lock arms and sing kumbaya down the block. You're allowed to talk about what you think looks good and doesn't look good, but you also shouldn't go in with a negative attitude to everything. And if you walk out of it and go, you know what, that was pretty damn good. I didn't like the trailers. Those scenes were goofy as hell, but what a good movie. But I kindly say, when you come here and you say, oh, I can go and find negativity somewhere, stick it.
Starting point is 00:42:18 up your fucking ass is what I would say there. That's the kind of movement. I love how he did you get. But I do the same thing on Twitter and you're like, Kalaska, Twitter, it's such a big head. This is different. This is something because Twitter is Twitter. Twitter is running around out everywhere.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Everybody's running around in Twitter. It's everyone's bar, right? This is our bar. We hang out here. My page is my bar. But you're not, but you ain't going to your page. They come on my page with, comments.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Other people's page. I'm a lot of ticket to the dick and knock him out through the double door. You should make a trailer for the show about this is our bar. Yeah. That works for me. Fine. Thank you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:00 Because Mike runs around to everybody's bar and kicks them in the balls and then goes, what do you mean? Why don't I get thrown out? I go to their bar going, hey, I heard you were knocking on my bar throwing pain on my walls. Here I am. You guys have to say something to my face,
Starting point is 00:43:12 pal. Let's do it. And I go to the bar and I'm like, watch your mouth or else I'm going to take your dad. Yeah, and it's, but there's another thing. Watch your mouth or I'm going to take your dad? Yeah. No, it's like, it's another thing where it's like, I just, I just get,
Starting point is 00:43:26 someone just ask somebody okay, because I don't feel like you goes on the chat. No, because you know what? The problem is that when you're sitting there, it's like, I just want people to be able to, it's, I get frustrated with the way people talk to one another. I really do in the way that when people are talking, when you have a conversation with someone, and if that same person would have said, oh, man, I'm bummed that they, they are thinking negatively on those scenes and they didn't like it. I dug the scenes and I think it's going to be a good movie.
Starting point is 00:43:51 I'm bum that they didn't. I don't say a word to that person. But the fact that they come in here with this whole year than now shit, it's the same problem that comes in with both political and all that other shit that happens. It's the same thing that everybody does to each other. And they turn it around each other and they're throwing things at each other right away. And for me, I don't have time for it. Get the hell out of here.
Starting point is 00:44:08 There's other shows to watch. And so for me, I like it when people are like, I don't need it. People shouldn't agree. How boring would be if everybody agree with you. There were tons of people in the comments here that were like, oh, I thought it looked fine. It looked good. Here's the reason I liked it.
Starting point is 00:44:24 That's healthy. It's like when you go in here and you just start acting like a dickhead, I said it many times over, we have the right to take you by your pants and throw you out on the street. And that's what I wanted to do. So here we go. Like, this is my point. Like, it's my bar.
Starting point is 00:44:40 You're gone. Like, you're gone. You're out. Um, anyway, I'm a good mood. I'm not a bad mood. I'm a good mood. I just think people are turds. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Yeah. Um, anyway, so let's talk about something that, that we can get, we should be positive about. Is that fair? Let's do something that we never talk negative about. Let's talk about Star Wars. Um, so let's get to the new Jedi order. The writer talks about his approach. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:12 All right. So the question here is, what are we going to do with this movie? Because we still don't know. The other week came news that the born ultimatum scribe George Nolfi had been set to pen the screenplay for the Daisy Ridley-centric Star Wars movie dubbed New Jedi Order. Pakistani Canadian documentary filmmaker Charmaine Obit Chinoi remains attached to direct the project while Ridley is reprising the role of Ray Skywalker in a story set around 15 years after Star Wars. to rise of Skywalker. Nolfi takes over from Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt Gibson, who were the first attached after they left, Piki Blinders creator, Stephen Knight, but he subsequently exited last year with Nolfe now taking over the gate. Nolfe is currently out doing press for the Anthony Mackey-led movie Elevation,
Starting point is 00:46:00 which hits Amazon Prime this weekend. Speaking with British Outlet Film Stories, the writer was asked his approach, and he revealed he'd be building on ideas left by the previous scribes. He said, the way I approach it, is you look at what's come before you. You look at the broad ideas of what they want to do, meaning Lucasfilm, Disney,
Starting point is 00:46:19 Charmina, Abay Chanoi, the director, and then you do what a writer does and try and put beats of a story together. Try and imagine characters, and then you present that with an understanding that it needs to honor, obviously, a long, incredible tradition. You think about George Lucas,
Starting point is 00:46:33 the six movies that he did in the universe that he created is actually very steep in broad notions of politics. It's not talking about today, per se, but there's an empire, a Naziism, slash Roman Empire. The democracy of the Roman Empire collapsing and becoming an empire and the perennial story of human beings organizing themselves and against chaos and then the tools that help human societies tamped down on chaos becomes oppression. So that is really very core to what I think
Starting point is 00:46:58 George Lucas was trying to talk about. And one of the wonderful things about science fiction and Star Wars, which is almost science fantasy or space opera, is that you can raise the deepest issues without it feeling like philosophy class or a political science class or something I read in the newspaper today. Nolfi has previously indicated that the Star Wars films led to a major subconscious desire with him to become a filmmaker. If this is more of a polished than a full rewrite, the film could gear up and head into production soon. Okay. Look, I think we're all probably might be saying the same things. Here, I think this guy is saying the right things. The question
Starting point is 00:47:38 is will this person even be on this project in five months from now? What do you think so? Yeah, yeah, I think similarly. Like it is, it sounds good and I would be so, so happy if this just move forward. And I hope that it does. And maybe it will. Like it feels like there's been so many delays that perhaps we're on the other side of it. And that would be awesome.
Starting point is 00:48:03 So that's what I'm rooting for. But it is hard because it feels like you just get whiplash with these, news stories specifically on this one. This feels like almost the longest one where we, it's been in the works, but it's had so many changes to it without being taken out of the
Starting point is 00:48:19 list of future movies. What do you think of these comments, Mike? And what do you think about the possibility that this dude's still going to even be here by the time this movie comes out? Guys, what needs to be said that you haven't already said? You know, I feel like we beat a dead horse with this. Right? I mean,
Starting point is 00:48:36 I mean, what about its comments, though? bring the positive side of it. What about the comments? Like, it makes sense. Like, he's saying everything that you would want to hear from a person working on this project. It checks all the boxes. Does it get me excited?
Starting point is 00:48:54 I know. The question, but the other question I have is, like, what am I supposed to say to this? Like, yeah, you're saying the things that are right or working on a Star Wars project we want to hear. For sure. I mean, it looks like he understands it, which is a positive thing.
Starting point is 00:49:06 My question is this then, because the stuff that he's talking about of what he's not, and he's not necessarily saying that he's going to write those things that George was doing for his movie. Right. Because if he is, which I don't believe he was, but if he is, it means, well, wait minute, are you going to be in that time period again? Are we going to have the empire again?
Starting point is 00:49:26 Because that's where the empire was based off of the Gnosties and Roman Empire and all that. So is that still, are we still playing there? Or he just is using whatever it is, we're going to take things from history and put it in there because that I like. I like the idea. I always loved the quote from John Favreau. And we used to say it all the time on this show, which is,
Starting point is 00:49:46 you know, a lot of places play homage to Star Wars. We're paying homage to the things that inspired Star Wars. Right. That's what you got to do. That's how you make it. Like you don't, and I think that I don't think a lot of people stuck to that philosophy.
Starting point is 00:50:01 I certainly don't think, Obi-1 stuck to that philosophy. I collide certainly didn't. And I'd like to see, that philosophy happened and make like a little bit more serious Star Wars movie with those themes. I get you. I do.
Starting point is 00:50:16 I mean, who doesn't want a good Star Wars movie? But I mean, gosh, we're going on six years without a movie and how many stars and stops? It'll be, it'll be seven, what it'll be seven years? 10 years before we have one? No.
Starting point is 00:50:30 It'll be, shoot, when it comes out, it'll be nine years by the time. No, seven years. It'll be seven years, but by the time there'll be seven years when when Mandolin and Grogo comes out,
Starting point is 00:50:42 it'll be just six and a half years by the time we get one. So that's pretty crazy. Anyway, what do you guys feel about? Do you like the comments? Do you not like the comments? Do you think it matters?
Starting point is 00:50:52 Do you think this guy's going to still actually, is he polishing it? What do you think? Put your thoughts in there. Let me know. All right. Let's get to the last story that we're going to talk about
Starting point is 00:51:02 until we get to these questions. And this is one. Ben Affleck, Jillian Anderson, or animals. It's not very nice. Ben Affleck has settled on Netflix's animals as his next feature directorial effort and has replaced Matt Damon with himself as the lead. Shots fired. Shots fired.
Starting point is 00:51:25 Damon will be occupied filming Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey for the next few months. So Affleck has chosen to take on the male lead role for himself and will star opposite the one and only Gillian Anderson in the film. It's first directing work since Air The movie sees Affleck playing an L.A. Marial candidate whose son has been kidnapped with most of his money
Starting point is 00:51:46 due to the campaign spending. He and his wife by Jillian Anderson just have a few hours to get their hands dirty and come up with the ransom payment. Connor McIntyre wrote the script with revisions by Billy Ray. The project was originally supposed to be shot last year, but Affleck instead worked on the sequel to the accountant. Okay. Now this is where
Starting point is 00:52:05 Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, to me, are dudes who know the business well, right? I understand trying to get the accountant too in theaters. First one, they're pretty good. You don't spend too much money on it. You take a shot, get it out in the theater and see what you can do with it. This movie that I just read the synopsis for screams streaming movie, screams Netflix to me.
Starting point is 00:52:28 And they knew that, and that's what they did. Because they also took a shot with air, and I think they realized the air wasn't going to do anything in the box office. They got all the notice from putting it on Amazon Prime, but that was a fantastic movie. I don't know. Do you guys both see Air? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:46 I did not. Oh, dude. So whether you like the subject matter, I know you're not a sports guy, but it's not really sports, to be honest, but it's really a brilliant film. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:56 It's interesting. You know, you say that Damon and, Affleck are two of the guys that know the business incredibly well. like Damon's this whole thing on hot ones one time about DVDs and how that kind of subsidized the business was so spot on. It's fascinating to see these two guys and to know that they do streaming. Like to me, this is a kind of a thriller back in the 90s. Would have started Kevin, you know, or Richard Gear and Julia Roberts and would have cost $30 million and would have made $85 million at the box office.
Starting point is 00:53:29 And that would have been it. Great film. Got your mid, your adults into the. the theater. So it seems like they've kind of resigned to the fact that, well, these aren't going to make money anymore. They're not big tent polls or not IP. So let's stick it on streaming. But what do you think about? I mean, they're lost, I think. Well, yeah, but it's not, but I think that there's still, it's just a different platform these days where I don't know. Things change. Because Netflix is, I think you get a lot of eyes. You get more eyes on you today on Netflix than you
Starting point is 00:53:59 would when you release this as like a smaller film. Yeah. Years ago. But it's, it's hot for weekend and then you don't hear about it again you're not wrong unless you're in unless you're in the oscar buzz you know and i know that there's a lot of is Netflix because i know they're dealing with the million right now but our Netflix films available or are they allowed for oscars yeah what they do is they release it for like a month they release in the limit yeah that's why they're those Netflix theaters so they can they can abide by the rules um but yeah yeah it's BS but it is it is what it is. It's so funny, we had that whole conversation. I guess we can get into that. Steph, I want to hear your thoughts on this first.
Starting point is 00:54:37 Let me know what you think about this movie in general, the premise of it, and you know, the idea that it is on streaming. Yeah, I think that just off of hearing it, it sounds like a really good action streaming movie. It kind of reminds me a little bit of, it's different, but like the beekeeper, I feel like had some aspect where you're like a son is involved. of important political person is involved and you have to get them.
Starting point is 00:55:07 So I would have made myself the lead across Jillian Anderson too. Regardless of Matt Damon being held up in a movie, I would have been like, absolutely, that's me. I'm taking this opportunity to star with her because she is. She's great. The only argument I would have against that stuff is that, look, he wasn't the lead in air. He was in air.
Starting point is 00:55:29 and he was he was the lead in the town which he directed he was the lead in um what was the other one the argo that he directed right so he's done it before um i just my favorite it's actually funny my favorite movie that he's ever directed was one he wasn't even in and that was a gone baby gone that's my favorite ben afflick directed film um town's great all the other ones are great the only one i didn't like was that one in between all of his other movies i've really enjoyed airs up there for me is a great movie. So he's been in all them so he can do it. I just feel like sometimes like, well, you know, if you can get somebody else also
Starting point is 00:56:05 and not have the stress of also being in front of the camera, but look, if he loves doing it, he's already proven, like, if you directed six films or whatever, let's, I think it's six. But if you've done six and five out of the six have been really, really good, then you do whatever the hell you want to do. Right.
Starting point is 00:56:22 Yeah. I feel like they're both really good. They don't do anything that's not good. not and Ben App like it's crazy they have such a good track record I thought I had something else I was going to bring up but I remember what I was the RAM Declaration of Deals we're pledging our allegiance to the American people with great deals on the RAM 1500 back with the legendary Hemi V8 and the RAM heavy duty with the available Cummins turbo diesel delivering

Let's get to the questions and the support. And Derek Johnson hit you guys with a ton of support. Right now, going into this stuff, in order to beat rocks, do you guys need?
Starting point is 00:57:18 I said, what, 243? Yeah. So currently going into the question round with only 56 minutes so far, 73. Okay. Pretty damn good. Not bad. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:30 I'm not going to get your hopes up. And Derek Johnson put in... Thank you, Derek Johnson. Eric Johnson put in a ton of super stickers and a bunch of super stickers and supports. And he knows that I value them. He always says, I don't have to highlight all of them. But there's a ton of there as we lead up to him. So when I get to the first question, which is Ewok,
Starting point is 00:57:48 thoughts on the reports that Shoguns Anna Sawai will be joining Sam Menace's four Beatles films as Yoko Ono. I don't know. that would be really cool. That would be cool. Oh, oh, I love her.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Yeah, she'd be great. Yeah, she would be, she would be great. That would be, I think that's, sounds like a perfect casting. Did you,
Starting point is 00:58:11 I mean, it's so, this is what social media is hilarious, is that all these clips, I'm sure you guys have seen it, it's had to have hit your algorithm, but the Yoko Ono, Chuck Berry clip,
Starting point is 00:58:20 oh my God, it's, I feel like I see it every other day. It's like, they were, recording together, Chuck Berry and John Lennon, and they're singing the song. I think they're singing Johnny would be good, I think.
Starting point is 00:58:37 It's off to the side. And she just starts belting into her into the microphone. And Chuck Perry goes like this. Oh, no. It's so bad. And they basically shut the mic off on her because it's so bad. But I'm very curious to see.
Starting point is 00:58:56 I think she's great. Anna Sawai, is that I pronounce it? She's, yes. She was wonderful in that showman. Shogun. She was really, really good. Next one. He's really great. El Baba Yaga. Steph, I'm so jealous that you get to experience the Pirates of the Caribbean for the first time. Johnny as Captain Jack is iconic as Robert Dane Jr.
Starting point is 00:59:16 and Iron Man. Fun fact, Jim Carrey was the original choice for Jack. I didn't know that. Oh, my gosh. That would have been. It's been very interesting. How many of you watch? How many of you watched the first, though? I've watched two.
Starting point is 00:59:27 And what do you think of this for? I really, I thought the first one's the best so far, but I like the second one. I think it's fun. And I'm fearful for the next. How old were you when those came out? I was the right age. So I should have seen it, but I think my parents just didn't really care. 2003 was the first one.
Starting point is 00:59:49 So what were you 10? Yeah, so I was 10. Yeah. You might have been a little young. Yeah. That's crazy to me. Here's something that's going to blow your mind, Steph. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:59:58 Yeah. I was one of the very first Jack Sparrow's at the Magic Kingdom. Oh, that's fun. Yeah. I could see you doing that. Well, Larry, Corowitz, sorry, Larry. Hello, Christian and friends.
Starting point is 01:00:13 I've been digging the squid game reaction, so keep them up. I'm going to. I did the second one, Steph, yesterday. I just put it up this morning. Oh, nice. They're not doing well, I knew that they wouldn't. But I said, I'm going to, I originally said, they don't do well i'm not i'm gonna stop doing i'm just gonna finish season one to season two and see if i
Starting point is 01:00:29 catch up to season three and by the time i get the season three and people still don't care then it is what it is but i'm gonna give it a shot i'm really enjoying the show so those are like the appetizers you didn't ask for my advice but one time we did on the there was a show that i was watching that didn't had like a great fan base of like everyone who wanted us to watch it but it wasn't getting the views because the fan base was yeah so we put them all as a compilation that's I mean so Luke had suggested I do like two episodes at a time yeah and I'm I'm considering it but I'm also I'm gonna look the first one did like 7,000 views and second then you look at infinity war tomorrow is going to be the one everybody right now is interested
Starting point is 01:01:11 and knows I just just something I always wanted to do so I might just pump them out one at a time I might do the the style the you know putting them together I don't know yet we'll see um my Joyce invincible season three today. Any of you's watching? I know that Coy and Winston are. I don't know if you guys are watching. Yeah, I'm not yet. I still have to catch up to season.
Starting point is 01:01:36 I'm not done with season two. So I should be ready to even it out by next week. Yeah. Zeus Fleming. I'd love to see Adam Scott play Sinister. He was a great Moriarty, and I think he could play it similar. What was he Moriarty?
Starting point is 01:01:51 That's interesting. When was he Moriarty? I don't remember that. I don't know. Maybe a TV show. Was he or it was? Was he mortiarity in the in the Lucy Lou version? I don't remember. I don't know. I'm not sure. That's interesting.
Starting point is 01:02:09 Okay. Adam Scott is great though. He's really good. He's really good in Severance, man. Mike Joyce, a lot of buzz about tonight's severance episode. People that have seen and say we need to watch as soon as it drops to avoid the internet spoiling it. That's good to know. I got to catch up from last weeks, and I'll probably watch both today. So here's it. Kanye Cady.
Starting point is 01:02:29 Thank you. What a very, very generous super chat. Thank you. Appreciate the Squid Games episode 2 reaction. Thank you. I understand you're running a business and the demand might be not where you need it. Yet hopefully, again, thank you. Because Big Balls have a take on Squid game.
Starting point is 01:02:42 He does. Steph, do you want to hear Big Ball's take? Yes. The game. Okay. Let me see if I can use sleeping. Okay. Hey, baby.
Starting point is 01:02:54 Hi. How are you doing? Good. The people keep asking what your thoughts on squid games were. I know you watched it maybe with Christian. Oh, yeah. Listen. So there was this little, what the hell was?
Starting point is 01:03:08 She's an ostrich. I was dating this ostrich back in the day, right? Oh, my gosh. Oh, yeah. She was my mama. And we went to the ocean together. And we was just slapping me around. And I was loving it.
Starting point is 01:03:22 And I was bouncing around. from whale to shark to minnow to whatever. Oh my gosh. Oh, yeah. And she got kinky. You know what she did? What? She stopped me and the balls with a squid.
Starting point is 01:03:33 And I said, what kind of game is this? And I said, oh, these are the squid games. Yeah, baby. Oh. Yeah, we're the squid games. Is that what you say? That's exactly what I was talking about. I just didn't know the origin story.
Starting point is 01:03:46 Oh, yes. That's the origin story. She is loving it. And then, you know, and then I love it. Oh, yeah. I still got scars. But, you know, hey, but I had to leave her in the dust. What?
Starting point is 01:04:00 I know, I'm sorry, but I'm a player, baby. You know what? After she showed you every different aquatic animal? Yes, but I can I tell you something that I know you're going to appreciate? Yes. This man right here is a bitch-ass. Oh. A bitch-ass trick.
Starting point is 01:04:17 Jeez. A bitch-ass. A bitch-ass. Big balls. What? Big balls are looking kind of small That I pal. What happens? You called outside? I drinked them in your asshole and you were sleeping.
Starting point is 01:04:27 Things like two frivoled up raisins. I'm making wine over there with those things. Please. They're bigger than emails. What you fix your computer? You know, bitch ass. Surprise. That's all you got my computer. I'm making it on my computer again. I can't hear you.
Starting point is 01:04:39 I'm bored. Look at those things. Pathetic. All right. He left. Nice. Mike, I like that you stand up to him, though. I got to tell you.
Starting point is 01:04:46 I'm not taking shit from no one, especially no squirrel raccoon with big. nuts. No sir. No, sir. No, sir. All right. Next one is Captain Penis, Dan Fogler over Paul Giammati. Wow.
Starting point is 01:05:03 I actually really, it's funny. I come, I definitely, when I first started doing Shemot it was harder on Dan Fogler. I didn't really, there was a couple movies that didn't, it was that take me home tonight or other things. And I was like, ah, I didn't, well, I know trying to push this guy on us. And then the more and more sort of watching, I really liked him.
Starting point is 01:05:19 And then I had the opportunity. Actually, he was, he was my first interview I ever did a Collider, my long form interview for one-on-one with Krishna. It's a really nice guy. I've interviewed him since, since we did for the, what was it called? Oh, my God. The show I loved about the offer, the offer,
Starting point is 01:05:35 the Godfather show. And Princess Fort Copeland, he was brilliant in it. So I really like Dan Fogler a lot. I don't know if I put him over Paul Giamatti. I don't know if he put himself over Paul Giamatti, but I like him a lot. Yeah. Zeus Fleming. Do you think pirate streaming services like Flickster are a big reason for the
Starting point is 01:05:51 client and subs to Netflix, Disney, and the like. Steph, I'm going to let you answer that because I just found out about Flickster. You know how long ago? Today, right now? Three seconds ago. Okay, okay. So you tell me what you think. Well, I mean, that answers the question.
Starting point is 01:06:07 You haven't even heard of it. So no one is. I don't even, I didn't even know who Chapel Row was until. Oh my God. Travel Roan. It's hysterical. I call it Chapel Road. You're always at the Pink Pony Club.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Don't play with us. All right. I don't even know what that is. but I believe it. Unless I'm living in a whole, no one I know uses these services. So even if I knew one, I would probably think,
Starting point is 01:06:31 oh, maybe there's a bigger community, but I don't know anyone who's doing that. And perhaps if I hadn't heard a lot of the overall opinion that Disney Plus isn't just, it doesn't feel like it's for them anymore. Right. Then I would maybe think there's something to that.
Starting point is 01:06:47 But I think it's really just interest on what they have and how people feel about it. Yeah, that's a good answer. Dancing Dog 60. Do a Disney Hulu ESPN bundle. It's a good deal. That's what I do. That's what I have. Yeah, that's what I have. Yeah, that's the easiest one, I think, for sure. It is a good deal. Go pal. I can see where the NFL wouldn't want people to advertise with the name Super Bowl unless you pay them, but it makes no sense for articles of press. Sure. Sure. Like if you're advertising it, like, if someone's advertising their brand, you know, it's like, hey, pay us to advertiser, sure, but if you're talking about it, you can't, you can't say our name. You can't say it. Screw you. I'm not going to watch you stupid. Yeah, that's super diva. It's, it's so stupid.
Starting point is 01:07:29 It's the, he's a world series doesn't do that and, you know, the World Cup doesn't do that. The Olympics don't do that. It's like, what are you talking about? Uh, go pal, like, sure, don't let Best Buy pitch buy a new TV before the Super Bowl. Yes, unless NFL gets to what there be, but it's counterproductive a hundred percent. I agree with that for sure. If you're, if you're, You're like, hey, this is our Super Bowl promotion. This is our Super Bowl. If you're using your name to promote your brand, you know, and with money, then, of course, yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:07:57 But if you're talking about it, that's just dumb. Day napro. I don't, I feel like still, it's like you're getting a view, another viewer then if they buy that. No, but yeah, but still, if you're, if you're using like, if, it's almost like if if you're using a celebrity's name or face to sell your product, but you don't have their endorsement, you can't do that. And the same way, you're like, oh, this is our Super Bowl thing.
Starting point is 01:08:18 this is our Super Bowl thing and you're selling it because you're not affiliated with the NFL and this is ways around certain things. I know what GoPow is saying. I agree with that. But I just think having making people not say that and like on the radio people don't say it because they get nervous to say it. It's so dumb. Anyway, day nap or time to start putting a percentage of your kids allowance towards Disney Plus. That's true also.
Starting point is 01:08:41 But my kids, I mean, they love Disney Plus. Mike Joyce, everyone's excited for Sam's next MCU reaction. Meanwhile, I'm patiently waiting for a team America reaction. Yeah, just the matter, I think that because I'm going on vacation soon, I think that I'm going to probably drop that during the week that I'm gone. So that way we have some more material on channel because Roka's going to be hosting on that Monday and Tuesday. And then I think on Wednesday I'm going to run. I'm interviewing Joe Mangonello.
Starting point is 01:09:06 So I'm going to have the, I'll have that interview probably run that Wednesday. But yeah, that team America, it's shot. It'll be out just a matter of when. it's got a it's got a shelf life um you guys are at 76 okay big buster Winston said if it was between Killian Murphy or Paul Gianmani as Dr. Doom he would choose Paul which is absolute insanity yeah again I love Winston more than anything he's one of the greatest people I've ever met in my life and he's a very close friend his his every time he cast people I go
Starting point is 01:09:46 He doesn't have the best casting choices, in my opinion. But Paul Giamatti as Dr. Doe, yeah, why not? Chris Krause, college professor here looking to build a course for acting students on social media as a branding career. Is there a business email I could reach to out to you for questions to help build a course proposal? Very nice answer. Yeah, if you go to the contact information on this channel, there's an email that you could write to. That's very nice. And what a kind way to ask, Chris. Thank you. I'm honored. Let's see. Next one.
Starting point is 01:10:23 Oh, yeah. And by the way, Mike, you said Roman Raines before, which is hilarious that you confused two wrestlers, which even knew who Roman Raines was. But it was actually, Seth Rollins was the, was the wrestler. Oh. Not Roman Rings. Oh. How do you know who Roman Raines? I know, you know. He's out there.
Starting point is 01:10:41 Yeah. Are you sure Roman Raines wasn't in Captain America? Awesome. There were a couple wrestlers in that. he wasn't in that uh kyle wilson love y'all can mike serenate big balls with that yupe behind him also any no oh you got you got oh yeah it's shanans i've seen i've seen shan play that she played her for the schmodeown it was amazing it was amazing yes so he can't do that but and then i think you just got a little of the mike and big balls before there too any novelty popcorn buckets this year i think
Starting point is 01:11:08 they are doing one this year right they say there was another one i'm sure fantastic bar we'll do one Yeah. Maybe so. Ryan Ferris, if you had to survive in the wilderness for a month with one serial mascot, who are you picking? I choose Tony the Tiger. That's probably I would have count now. Count chocolate would save his own ass.
Starting point is 01:11:28 Tony the Tiger to me seemed like the one who was, who was that? He was jacked up on sugar, but he was, but he, he'd protect you. The leprechaun. Leprechaun. Leprecha. Yeah, but don't feel like a leopard. To protect you though? I feel like he has some magic.
Starting point is 01:11:45 We could just poof and go away. The one that I want to bring to just scare the shit everybody is the Coco Puffs bird. Oh, yeah, yeah. I'll scare everybody. He is. You would take out. I see that one he picked it too.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Yeah, of course. Vampire? All right. Zuse Fleming has any three of you watch Banshee or Warrior? Not the movie, but the TV show, right? I watched Warrior. It was good, I heard. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:12 both made by Jonathan Tropper, two of my all-time favorites and best written action dramas. I hear nothing about great things about both of them. Yeah, everyone raves about Banshee to me. He says that I'll love it. I just haven't. There's so much. Harry loves Banshee. He wants me to start it so bad.
Starting point is 01:12:28 After we finished, what's that with the Tony Star, Anthony Star actor, the Boys. Oh, but that's, but Banshee's in that. Yeah, yeah. After we finish the Boys, he's like, he's also in this. show Vanshee, that's super good.
Starting point is 01:12:44 I've seen Warrior. I love Warrior. I'm so mad it doesn't have another season. People love that show. Day Knapper, if they release the first eight minutes of Captain America, he's a bird now. That won't be a good sign for sure. When's the premiere same day as release? I think the premiere is like a day or two before, which I think it's on, I think the premiere is on Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:13:05 So yeah, like a day and a half way comes out Thursday. So yeah, I guess a day. It's not a great sign. I'm going to see it on Tuesday in the morning. and the social embargo is usually you can do it right afterwards. The social embargo for that movie drops that night. And the review is the next day. So, yeah, the embargo is like the day before.
Starting point is 01:13:23 So I think we're in trouble. I think we're in trouble. But again, maybe it's one of these things that we were all wrong about. Derek Johnson, I'm not nervous at all about the MCU. I've gotten decades worth of good product. There's been two or three slumps. They've earned it from me as a fan. And now if they give me five busting movies back to back,
Starting point is 01:13:42 then I'll start downing. I think that's a fair. That's fair. Like in the same way, Derek, yeah, it's true fair because like, look, let's say this one's not good. I'm not going to be like,
Starting point is 01:13:50 oh, I'm not going to see Thunderbolts now. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's a great point. Like, I'm at the point now. Like, I haven't reached it. Like, Star Wars, I haven't seen the past.
Starting point is 01:14:00 I didn't watch Skeleton Group. Yeah. I'll go for Andor, but like Marvel's not at that point for me. But I, well, I shouldn't say that. I didn't watch what if or Agatha. I don't know. tag of her there's just yeah me too much out now and it's got to really grab me right but the movies
Starting point is 01:14:18 the movies you're still on board movies i'm not missing right yeah right uh nathan drake there's one for you mike mike looks more like reed than pedro pascal there you go thank you hey buddy i'm glad you said that not hold hold you wait wait wait i brought this up i brought this up the other day that dumb mustache hey mike did you audition for it also step would be a great soup um you got to get that blonde hair Here's the thing, guys. I'm going to say this, and probably that'll be the last time I ever say it. Yes, I can't.
Starting point is 01:14:46 I'll wait a way. I think that's a phenomenal actor. When he was cast as Reed, I'm like, okay, the mustache is driving me. Fucking crazy. Reed has never had a mustache. He hasn't had a beard. But you're a scientist in the 60s in NASA space age.
Starting point is 01:15:05 They didn't have mustaches, and they sure as hell didn't have five o'clock shadow. It just wasn't done. And I know this is. universe different universe doesn't matter oh you're scientists you're going off the 60s vibe the madman vibe watch madman they didn't have mustache maybe maybe in the 60s and that and i know i know it's pedro pascal's thing i know it's his thing he's a sexy man with a mustache it'll grow back it and again it's so so stupid that i'm arguing that this bothers me it's not going to affect my love of the movie
Starting point is 01:15:34 it just every time i see him with that mustache it doesn't read it just it's like check out the big game where you can see him without a mustache. It doesn't work for me. I'm so glad that I don't have a connection to that character. Because I would have never in a million years been like that. Guys, I know. I know it is stupid as hell. Yeah, I get it.
Starting point is 01:15:56 But you've been a fan of him. But also Marvel is always so good about like, these are the character, like, come to life. Like, like, you're not going to have Superman with blonde hair ever. You just won't do it. You know. There's two characters in Mad Men that had like a goate situation. But not the main one.
Starting point is 01:16:16 But what era of Madman? Because Mad Men went from like the 60s almost to the early 70s. Yeah. Again, just Google NASA scientists in 60s. You're not going to see a guy with a mustache anywhere. You just won't. Derek Johnson, I'm way, way more nervous about my love of DC getting smacked down again by a bad product, which I think, again, you have every right to be nervous because there hasn't been
Starting point is 01:16:39 a consistency yet. So you're waiting to see. In that first movie for DC fans are going to be absolutely getting me on the edge of your seat. Like trying to figure out like, did they nail this thing? But think about how happy you'll be, Derek, if you walk out of that theater and they deliver. So I'm
Starting point is 01:16:55 excited for it. I mean, I am, look, I know it's not a comparison, but people are going to do it anyway, so I'll do it too. If you, and I'll ask you guys this question too. I know what Mike's answer is going to be, so it's really, I guess, more of a stuff question. but I'm giving you a chance to go see only one of these two movies.
Starting point is 01:17:13 It's only playing in one theater. They're both playing at the same time, only one time. Superman or Fantastic Four. What are you going to see? Mike? No, you go for it. Oh, my God. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:31 I'm only going to see. Honestly. Yeah. Fantastic Four. Wow. Okay. No. Why is that stuff?
Starting point is 01:17:40 because I never saw the first one. So, like, this is something characters I haven't seen. Okay. You know nothing about the Fantastic Four. Nothing. And I like all the actors. So I'm like, this looks really fun to me. Sure.
Starting point is 01:17:54 I think it's good. I think Mike, you and I have both taken Superman on that. Yeah, it's like I love, I'll tell you, I will say this. I didn't like the teaser for Fantastic Four. I like the Comic-Con teaser better. Because they were setting up the world, same way, but that teaser was incredible.
Starting point is 01:18:13 So I saw this one, I'm kind of like, I'm a little underwhelmed. That's fair. I love the, everything about that they're doing fantastic for Sands, his mustache, is fantastic. Go pal, it's our time down here. It is. It is. Okay. They did a whole picture of them
Starting point is 01:18:32 at, um, I know, it was pretty cool. It was great at the premiere of his new movie. Nick Vaughn, as a black man, I just don't want Mackie's feature as cap on the big screen to take a negative hit because of the movie. I love his character and what he represents and I want to see more of him. I agree with you, Nick, I think that, you know,
Starting point is 01:18:47 this is, you want to see him succeed in this role because I really liked Falcon Awarest. I like what he did there. It's great what Nick's saying there because all the backlash that I've seen for this film is not because we have a black man as Captain America. It's the constant reshoots, the constant recastings.
Starting point is 01:19:04 I haven't seen a backlash. There's the usual that will say that, of course. But what I also hope does random is not they like him in the role i know and that's what i also don't hope that doesn't happen because it's going to happen no matter what and it's part of this if you if you don't like the movie and you don't like the scenes i guarantee you're going to get comments well i guess i know why you didn't like it oh woke get broke whatever they say that but then if and then if you don't like it they're going to go or you didn't like it because of your black camera captain america's like no i have to i feel like
Starting point is 01:19:37 Are they knowing anybody with a pulse could know the pressure that Mackie must feel and that a lot of people feel viewing like a Black Captain America? And I just, if this movie isn't good, I feel like that is such a disturbance to him and so unfair. He's so great. And Sam is such a great character. Yeah. He's going back and rewatching these movies. He's so, and his evolution to where he, to where he got, where he got, it makes, it's great.
Starting point is 01:20:05 I just, hopefully, hopefully he gets a good. movie we'll see uh randle w just supporting the bar and christian as a as a bouncer thank you if your opinions are so fragile that another opinion threatens you then do some self work piece hell yeah randall randall randle f bouncer run for mayor um zeus fleming i'm headed to l a a six weeks to take a course which i hit this time around i'm coming from canada oh man i mean look there's there's a sushi spot that i love and it's i don't know if step i don't know you ever went I think I definitely went there with a few people. I don't know if you ever went,
Starting point is 01:20:38 but it's in Beverly Hills. It's called you and me, Y, U, M, M, I, you and me sushi. And it's like on Little Santa Monica in Beverly Hills. It's the best. I miss it so much. So I would recommend going there if you like sushi.
Starting point is 01:20:54 My two favorite, when people are visiting, I'll take them here because I just know it's good food is, there's Bakery, which has a few different locations. and they do like kind of topa style and then jelana in venice on abit kheny mike mike what do you say universal studios mike go see mike yeah i mean um gosh people come here i don't know man
Starting point is 01:21:21 what i like about you the best color man in the business i don't know all right the honeyton garden what should i hit this time around is you talking food is you talking the I think he's in general. I'm not a foodie like you guys are. I don't have food places I like to hit. I'm not, I don't consider myself a foodie, but don't you just love food?
Starting point is 01:21:43 I've never heard. I like sushi from brick of brack and then I like to go up when you, if you really want some Asian fusions. What do you eat? Are you the type that eats like chicken and white rice? Brown rice. Like every day. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:58 I make a slow cooker at the top of the week step and I've got my broccoli. my rice and my chicken all day. Oh, look at this. Oh my, my, you know what? You look like you can eat some brown rice and chicken. You're looking a little flubby there, pal. I almost can't see those big balls over your belly there, pal. Why don't you go work out?
Starting point is 01:22:13 Why don't you go? Hey, where this is? That's up a tree, shithead. You see what this is? This is me. Profiling for your lady. Where's lady corruption? Get over here.
Starting point is 01:22:22 Come here. That's right. I'll steal her. That little thing down there. Get that little pea shooter. Can't satisfy her, buddy. Trust me. Like Shannon doesn't eat that, does she?
Starting point is 01:22:29 Okay, here's the thing, Mike, you eat the exact same diet as my dog. I don't know if you know this, but I'm getting up there in years in my age. So I can't be eating like I did in my 25, 30 years anymore. So, yeah, well, you look good. So I guess it's working. There you go. Here's the thing, Steph. I'll say this.
Starting point is 01:22:53 There are a lot of people that live to eat, I eat to live. Oh, good for you. healthy. That's my philosophy on life. Me too. If you've ever seen my sweet tooth, that would go against that because the amount of chocolate that I love to consume and sweet. So yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:12 That's your cheat. All right. Okay. All right. Well, thank you for that long, wintered explanation. All right. So now we're going to get to the next question, which indeed is from Armada. Can Mike do is Jack Sparrow? Do you still do Jack Sparrow? I don't.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Let me try and give me a second. I'll come back to that one. I've got to spend years since I've done it. Tell me when you're ready. Yeah. All right. Fasia Brut. Hollywood Reporter says a complete unknown is the Oscar frontrunner.
Starting point is 01:23:42 Oh my God. I hope that's true. Oh my God. I hope that's true. I hope that all this controversy puts them front and center. Not wicked. Nah. Wicked's good, but it's not, not, it won't be.
Starting point is 01:23:54 You think a complete unknown is better than wicked. I like, I liked it better. You like it better. It didn't make my top 10. I actually, I hate that there's Oscar drama and it is a bummer to everyone involved in the frontrunner
Starting point is 01:24:08 movies, but I do, I'm like, it is, like I, those weren't the front runners. I weren't who I was like, oh, please, please, please. So I'm kind of happy to see like what happens. Yeah, I'm, look, I'm about an hour and a half, almost two hours into
Starting point is 01:24:23 brutalists. I think I have another six hours left, but it's, it's, it is a, it's, it's a really good movie though so far i'll tell you that we're really enjoying it's just we watch it right before we go to bed and we're both like can we keep going we're like no we're gonna wake up tomorrow right but it's like it's long but it's good it's really really solid movies yeah i'm not surprised i i think i'm gonna win um day napper do you think more actors mike what do you doing you're you checking your emails so looking for some jack sparrow thing oh okay do you think more actors would take on roles in superhero movies and star or they weren't
Starting point is 01:24:54 constantly asked about them in interviews while promoting an unrelated movie money's money. Nah, come on, money's money. Now, I thought you're going to go in a different direction, which is if it wasn't for the public, you know, harassment that they get. Yeah. If they're cast in it, if they don't do a good job, if this, like that would probably deter a lot of people.
Starting point is 01:25:13 I can understand that. But as far as being asked about it, no, it's like, ask me about it. What am I going to do? Okay. Hopefully, what, my paycheck's going to get bigger for doing one of these things? I'm going to think, no, because you're asking me about it. That's not going to have any. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:25 Armada. The Joe Piscopo interview was great. Thank you, man. Not on streaming, but Johnny Dangerously is on Internet Archive. Oh, I love that movie. Have you ever seen Johnny Dangerously, Steph? No. Oh, I would love to get your opinion on that movie. It's such a silly, stupid sense of humor. And I love to see. Amy Heckerling, who did Fast Time, Richmond High, and Clueless. She directed it. And it's great. But, yeah, you're a Saturday Night Live where I had Joe Piscopo on. And we talked about Eddie Murphy and doing all that stuff, and about performing for. Frank Sinatra for Frank Sinatra is pretty pretty damn great. That's something like that. So good. It was dude, he did. You know what? I didn't know that he did really well because he was on the, he was on the show and on as I'm talking to him about.
Starting point is 01:26:07 He was telling me a great story how Ronnie Dangerfield essentially gave him the intro, how to intro somebody. Because when he used to bring Rodney up one day, he was in the club and he said, he goes, Rodney, get on up here. And he did a dead on impression of Rodney. He said, hey, kid. He did the whole thing. but he did it, he nailed it.
Starting point is 01:26:26 And I was like, wow, he just sounded just like him. But I enjoyed talking to Joe. We talked about an hour. So if you guys haven't seen that interview, it's up in the channel now. Armada, genius movie pitches, death race 2000, but with porn stars and Mark Ellis. Okay. That sounds good. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:43 Totally. Yeah, sure. Kyle Wilson, anyone seen 1985's The Stuff? hilarious campy. No, I don't know. Which one is that? It was like an ice cream or something that ate people. Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:26:55 Yeah. Even better. There you go. Oh, is that you? Yeah. Oh my God. What? That's really good.
Starting point is 01:27:05 Text that to me. Text to me. I'll put it up on the screen. Yeah, that was, I was one of the very first ones at the kingdom that when they brought the character of the park, it was myself like three other guys. And yeah, text text that to me. Armada really hopes Sinatra biopic happen someday. It was supposed to.
Starting point is 01:27:22 Leonardo DiCaprio was supposed to do it, which. which is interesting. Yeah. Derek Johnson, agree on the Pedro Mascal mustache, Mike. Thank you. It's the only thing that took me out. Right?
Starting point is 01:27:31 And again, it's so stupid. I know. I know it's awful because he's such a good actor, but man. Zeus says Reed has had a beard many times in the comics, but maybe never just a mustache. Beard is,
Starting point is 01:27:42 he's always been at, like he's had a beer. That's more modern thing, but yeah. Yeah. You're the mustache. Your choice. Pete Brunette.
Starting point is 01:27:48 Oh, hilarious. Christian loved your Joe Piscopo interview. His Rodney Dangerfield is insane. It was, it sounded just like him. He did. Did you ever see his bit with Esson, I think, I think Eddie Murphy was Stevie Wonder,
Starting point is 01:28:01 and they sung Ebony and Ivory. Oh, yeah. Oh, God. You are black and white lives in Eskimo, pa. Let's take a bite. He says to him, he goes, he said, you are blind as a bat. He says, I have sight. Yeah, Fasier Brut.
Starting point is 01:28:22 Christian, what do you think about the, Critics Choice Awards on Friday. It's the only, and it's not just because I'm in it. It's the only award show that I really take with merit. I think that it is, because you actually have people, all of those people who are voting have seen the movies and they know the movies. And it is, it should be the only awards that really count. It should be the most prestigious, way more than the Oscars. Zeus Fleming. Thanks for the heads up. I love the show. Hit up the Rams and Lakers game last time and the Oscars. Oh, wow. Hall of Fame.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Oscar's Hall of Fame. Okay, got it. That's good. The rat is cringe. Poor, poor big balls. The rat. Call them the rat. That's my favorite, by the way. See, there's a difference there. When somebody shits on big balls and says he's the worst,
Starting point is 01:29:13 he should never be on the show. That's my favorite. Because that means he's going to show up more. Like, I love annoying people with them. I love making people laugh with them, but I think I love annoying people. with him more. A little more. Yeah, I think so. Johnny Bravo. Rebirth, Superman, and Fantastic for all release in July. Which one is most likely to change dates? Oh yeah, I forgot to say Happy Lunar New Year's to you last week, Steph. Thank you. Um, rebirth, none of them will move. None are moving. At this point, you're not moving. Can't. You can't. Where are you going to put it?
Starting point is 01:29:47 But I saw this, you know, I saw they had, wait, um, rebert, what's rebirth? Jurassic? That's Jurassic World, yeah. So, but I saw that there's, I think there's two weeks between Superman and Fantastic Four. And I think there's like 10 or 11 days between rebirth and Superman. Like, yeah, you'd want more time. But in a crowded summer, that's a pretty good breathing room. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:09 You forget, like when the summer movies before pandemic and when summer movie was thriving, it was big release after big release every week, maybe one or two every week. So the fact you've got almost two weeks between both those two, that's, that's nothing to worry about. I think that's actually really good because it gets people in the summers instead of like, I can only see one movie this month. They're seeing all three of those. Yeah. It'll be a good summer, especially considering last summer was so bad.
Starting point is 01:30:35 True. There's no where there's nowhere to put him, though, also. There's just nowhere to put them. Where are you going to put them in December next to Avatar? Good luck. Yeah. Yeah. George Chekhov just puts in a $10.
Starting point is 01:30:46 Thank you, George. Thank you. King of the Wicker people. Mike, please do your Jack Sparrow impression talking to Christians, Gary Buse. Have a wonderful weekend. I'll give me time. I haven't done it in so long, and I don't want to embarrass myself
Starting point is 01:30:58 or make you guys, we'll do it. I promise you guys are putting these in. I promise I'll work on it and I'll come back on it. Yeah, and then we'll just, I'll load the pitcher up in here, and then when you come back in. Yeah, there you go. Then you'll have it.
Starting point is 01:31:11 Let's see. Where is it? It's really good, though. I'm surprised you never went as Halloween. I got so much of that work. It's great. Yeah, that's good. Yeah, I will say.
Starting point is 01:31:27 There's a lot of things I can say Mike's terrible at. Acting is not one of them. My career, so with Disney Universal has allowed me to have some really cool things. It's like, it was like right at the height of its popularity. That's a lot of fun. It was like Rocky. Hey, Mike, have you seen Stanley's version of Superman that he did for D.C.? He was blonde and it didn't work.
Starting point is 01:31:47 Did any of you like Presidents read from Dr. Strange? Yes, Stanley did. a series called Stanley Imagine's, and it was like his take on the DC characters. They were so different. Some of them worked for me. Most did not. Okay. They did that because he was
Starting point is 01:32:04 just rumored for the role. He was the rumored, and yeah, that, it was, he was cool and a really bad thing. Yeah, I liked him in it, though. I thought he would have been interesting in a movie. I think if they went with him. Yeah. Yeah, totally. El Baba Yaga, I guess they could
Starting point is 01:32:20 have still done it with him now. El Babiaga, Mike, leave the porn stash alone. Bert Reynolds was born with his hard, born with his hard to imagine if he didn't have one in the 60s, but I also love your rants. But did Reynolds have it in the 60s or was he a 70s guy? You're sure he had it in the 60s. Well, you know, he's a Florida State guy.
Starting point is 01:32:36 You know that, right? Sure, but I don't think he had it in the 60s. Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sure. Ryan, when I heard one of the college students helping Elon take over the government goes by Big Balls online, I thought that little funny bastard. Is that true? Is there somebody named Big Balls to be so good?
Starting point is 01:32:51 Probably. I would love that. Tom Hanks, check out Vast Knight for a different UFO movie. I don't know what that is. I got to check it out. Next week,
Starting point is 01:32:59 it can be very interesting. Very interesting. Wonder if we're going to be talking about it. We'll see. This is supposed to be a big announcement coming next week. We'll see. We'll see.
Starting point is 01:33:07 Andre, maybe the 60s style in that specific universe has mustaches. And Reed sees it not as cool when he jumps universes and then he shakes it off. Maybe. Good. It's pretty good.
Starting point is 01:33:20 J.P. Brunette. Just wondering, Christian, if you've introduced big balls to the family, feel like he'd be great at the dinner table. They watched the prank phone call that I did with Brick Bigos because that was clean. There was no, he wasn't being dirty in that one, and he was nice to the one, and they liked that. My father-in-law loved, loved that. Tad Ronan, 91-1. Great show, as always. Cheers.
Starting point is 01:33:42 Thank you, Ted Ronan. Thank you. You guys are almost at 100. Okay. Hey, gang, question. To your guy's opinion, who was the best leader in a movie or series? for me. It's Rick Grimes of the Walking Dead Comics and TV.
Starting point is 01:33:56 Best lead? I mean, Tony Soprano. Leader or lead? Oh, he said, he says leader. Best leader. That's why he's still still. Yeah. He's not a lot of later. Best leader. Rick's pretty good.
Starting point is 01:34:10 That's a good one. I don't know. Good one. I'm trying to think of like. There's some breaking news apparently. Apparently, Captain, Sam Wilson will lead the Avengers. we'll see I don't know leader
Starting point is 01:34:25 that's a good question man I mean more recent I think Steve Rogers does a pretty damn good job yeah I rewatched Infinity War and end game recently and man yeah
Starting point is 01:34:35 holy crap yeah Steph you got one for the leader um Rick Grimes that's a good one though that's a good one yeah I would have said that
Starting point is 01:34:45 this is what my what I always go to Tatiana Masalani and Orphan Black She's playing like eight different characters. EWalk. Christian, you missed my first super chat about Professor X. I did. Probably got lost.
Starting point is 01:34:58 I missed the initial flood of Derek Johnson's support. Just kidding. You're awesome, Derek. Let me look at that one and see if I can find it. Because, yeah, I think I did miss it. That was from EWalk, that one? Thoughts on the reports? No, I got that.
Starting point is 01:35:13 That was the Beatles one I got from EWalk. I'm not seeing another one from EWalk, but maybe I did miss it. Let's double check. Um, what else? Steph, what's going on with the World Girls while I look for this? Uh, we are so live Wednesday 6 p.m.
Starting point is 01:35:27 Pt. Usually unless we say otherwise and then on Patreon and the discord. So check us out. And then I think you'll see rocks at the Critics Choice Awards too. Who is? Roxy's going with Brad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know she was bummed because she's like, you're coming in for that one, right?
Starting point is 01:35:45 I'm like, no, I'm not. She's like, what? I'm finally going. I'm like, no, not going. on. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I thought you were. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:54 No, because I had to choose. I think I'm going to try to go to cinema con this year. Okay, okay. So I got to choose which one I'm going to go to. And I think to me, that's the one I want to check out this year. And besides, we'll see next year. We'll see all the movies that are coming out this year, probably definitely going in 2026.
Starting point is 01:36:09 I'm trying to find Ewok's question. I can't. I'm not seeing it. You sure it went through? I'll double check again, but I am not seeing it here. Even through. everything it might not have gone through my friend um but let me see still looking mike what else is going on with you while i look for this well let's see what's going on uh i'm
Starting point is 01:36:29 i've started finally my second book so that was a long time it's a novel my first novel i was going to start writing it in the pandemic and then the bond book kind of fell in my lap with brad and i that took a couple years of my life and then i just procrastinated in my ass off for a good year or so with this book that it's kind of a it's an action thriller in the vein of a tom clangeline fancy film, Tom Clemsy, that novel type series. So I said, I don't do resolutions, but this year I was like, I'm sitting down at that computer to write for an hour. And if I don't even type anything, I'm still staring at that computer,
Starting point is 01:37:01 not doing anything else. But once I get going on about you guys, I'm a procrastinator, but once I get going on something, I don't stop. Yeah. Just sit down and do something. Right. Then I will keep going for hours. That's key.
Starting point is 01:37:13 I think for writing is like I just have to allot myself like three to four hours. And if I get one hour, or 30 minutes. I'm like, whatever, but at least I, that's the only way I can do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:25 So it's coming along great. I'm about almost 20,000 words in. And it'll probably be about 40, 40, 000 words. And I'm loving it because originally it started the idea was as a television series. And Mark Andrako,
Starting point is 01:37:38 Schmodan, he'd said, you know what, like get a guy to draw six pages of it as a comic. And that way you control the IP. And I said, well, what if I write it as a novel?
Starting point is 01:37:46 It goes even better than you control the IP. And then it just turned into the series of, novels and that's what you talk about Twitter and it's such accessible I'm in writer Twitter as well with a lot of my favorite authors and they're very they don't have big followings because they're not like social media people but they interact one-on-one and to kind of build this community and it's such a good community of people and then it just took off I've got ideas for about four or five novels so far in the series but I got to get this one going I got to get it going
Starting point is 01:38:12 so it's good man my life right now great and we have you know we also have the um the capes and Hal's comic book that we're going to have to record once, because Wicked Art is almost done with the series. And once we do, I can't wait to do all those voices and everything, too, because we have, we actually, you know what, you saw a little bit of preview on today's show, because in the arc, big balls, um, Mike and Steph are running around together and- I got to pair up with that numn nuts. Yeah, and like he's, and basically he was doing exactly,
Starting point is 01:38:41 I don't even, that wasn't even intentional today. He's essentially doing, he's hitting on stuff the whole time and, and, and Mike and him, are going at each other. I got to defend Steph's honor. I will always defend that honor. I'm, I don't think it went,
Starting point is 01:38:54 I don't think it went through, buddy, because I'm looking, I'm looking through this and I don't, I don't get it. Here's something, when I know,
Starting point is 01:39:00 so Shannon and I were kind of joking ourselves. We realized we don't take good pictures anymore together. Yeah. Like, what happened to us? We used to take such good pictures
Starting point is 01:39:09 together and we were like, when was the last good picture we took and we found it? It was your wedding. Oh, yeah, that was a great picture. That was the last good pictures
Starting point is 01:39:16 we took was your wedding. You know what I think it is then? Then you need better lighting. We need. The problem is it's, she's like, I think we're just getting older. I'm like, I can't accept it. No. No. So maybe it's good lighting.
Starting point is 01:39:28 All right. Respectfully. Some of our selfies have been awful. Really? Like awful. Yeah. Happens. Okay, let's see.
Starting point is 01:39:38 Do you think more what we do? Yeah. I went through this poor guys. I went through the whole thing. I don't think it went through because I went all the way through all the way from the back to and I'm not not seeing it so I don't think it went through my friend I went through both the starred ones and this one and yeah just took about 10 minutes to look for it and it's not it's not there um okay so then let's get to the next one and we already got that one we got
Starting point is 01:40:03 fosia bruta you guys are at 110 right now which is pretty damn good it's not that's great that's with 20 with 20 minutes left but on on a normal day I would be thrilled with one You know what I'm saying? Like in a normal day, a normal week, if it wasn't for this week with Roxy, I'd be like, hell yeah, awesome. But like, two something in a week. I know it's pretty good. Nuts. She, I know she brought, well, that was, she beat, she beat Steph and Roka's record, which was previous two something.
Starting point is 01:40:33 Yeah. So, all right. I'm going to start doing impressions. Here it is. Arm, St. Pete downtown is so much fun. Yeah, it really is. Jim one. Florida?
Starting point is 01:40:44 Yeah. Mm-hmm. why doesn't Universal Orlando do more with Marvel Island? I'll say exactly why. Why? I know why. Because they have the rights to only certain characters. Because, and Disney and Orlando can't have them because of like the space between them.
Starting point is 01:40:59 That's why out here at Disneyland they can have Avengers Campus and all this massive characters. Whereas they're there, they can't. So it's within the contract, but I think they only have the contract for so much. I don't think they can add anything. I think that you just keep like upgrading. what they have. Yeah, it's a weird, weird thing. Georgie Chakoff.
Starting point is 01:41:19 Christian, thanks for years of content. Love you all. Thank you, Georgia. It's very kind to you. It was very nice. Jake, there he is. It's awesome that if you look up Universe on Google Maps, there are pictures and videos of Mike doing Psycho.
Starting point is 01:41:30 Is that true? Really? It's amazing. That's true. Yeah. Apparently, there is... Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Apparently, there is a... I don't know where I can find it. Luke found Ewk's Superchat. Since Blade isn't happening. why not cast Mahershal Ali as Professor X? Or will they go for someone younger since casting seems to be skewing younger overall? No, if they were- I like him as Professor X.
Starting point is 01:41:54 If they were skewing younger, that actually would work lining up to where the kids are, because he's only like, you know. I think the kids are younger. They're shooting 20s and 30s for the kids? But kids are like, yeah, the kids are like, you know, younger. I mean, Sadie Sink, if she's cast is like 22. She's the one for Kitty Pride, right? No, Sadie Sink would be Gene Gray.
Starting point is 01:42:16 There was one that they announced for Kitty Pride that they're talking to. Snyder posted today. Yeah, so the casting so far has been, it looks like it's been on. Because Rex can be older. He can be much older. I just think Marishali wants to do Blade and may not budge from that. I don't know. Wait, where did, so I just missed right.
Starting point is 01:42:34 I went past Jake, Jake, Jake Yacavetta. Oh, yeah, we did that one. Okay, the mic on Google Maps. But I'm glad we got, thank you to Luke for finding that you walk one. Hope we didn't miss any other ones. I couldn't find it. I don't know where it was.
Starting point is 01:42:47 Evil John Madden, think about movies like stepbrothers, wedding crashes, old school, 40-year-old virgin, hangover and dying laughing. Believe that they won't make movies like that anymore with a few exceptions because too many people get offended. I don't necessarily,
Starting point is 01:42:59 I don't disagree with you that too many people get offended. People do get offended very fast now with certain things. But I don't think that that's the main reason why they're not making them. I also don't think people are going to see them in the theater as much anymore because of all the stuff that's on Netflix, a lot of comedies and a lot of things land there now. And comedies is not, it's like the Western at this point,
Starting point is 01:43:20 comedies. People aren't going to the movies as much to laugh. As much as they used to all the time. It's a great, it's a great feeling when they, they work, they're just not working. Right.
Starting point is 01:43:31 Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I feel like the last movie that people, there was like a few in my memory that I remember being in the theater. and hearing about people's theater reactions of saying it was so funny being able to laugh with other people. It was Anchorman 2, Girls Trip, and Bridesmaids were all, like, there was conversation, like, and Girls Trip was one of the newer ones where people were like, whoa, like, this is actually like the next bridesmates.
Starting point is 01:44:01 And then you haven't, I haven't heard very many to be able to do it. I know. I hope it has to come back. I really do. Dancing Dog 60. As an unknown, Joe was in a ton of beer commercial. He sure was. Yeah, he really was.
Starting point is 01:44:14 Armada, Christian, got to clip out when Sam met big balls. I don't want to clip it out, but I put it on, I mean, it was on here. I don't know. Did you guys, you guys saw, or maybe it was Koi and Winston who saw when he met her. It was great. But clipping it out, I don't know anybody would care. Rodolfo Rocha, just sending some love. You got to, Rodolfo, you got to chime in on Mondays with John Roker.
Starting point is 01:44:37 Todd Lane. Mike, is there a character you would want to play at Universal or Disney, but you have not. Also, Steph and Christian, who would you guys want to play? So far of the characters that are in the parks right now, I feel pretty, like, I'll
Starting point is 01:44:53 say this, I'm pretty good as far as being an actor of like what I'm right for and what I'm not right for. So there was a time they had some of the Marvel costumes they have at Disney are pretty awesome. Is it any Disney character? I love to play? No, no, if that's the question,
Starting point is 01:45:09 is any Disney, you guys are going to you want to see mike's eyes roll you know what Disney character I would play I would bring my wife to put on the red dress and I would dress in the suit she would be uh Julie Roberts from pretty woman and I would be here and you be who Richard gear from from that movie it's Disney characters the Disney movie they're going to have them in the park Disney movie what hooker what hard a move. It's a fairy time. That would be funny. I think I would do Gamora. I love Gamora and I like Electra, but I don't think they have
Starting point is 01:45:53 Electra yet. So I would do Star Lord for sure. I think that's a good one. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah. Dancing Dog 60. Has Feingie put his foot down on the MCU leaks? No images of Bob in costume is leaked at all. You can't put your foot down on leaks. Leaks or leaks. So far, no hot toy of him has leaked either. You talk about Century and Thunderbolts. There was that little, someone posted like a belt buckle. They think it was off of a toy or something.
Starting point is 01:46:20 But I don't know. Has there been a big leak with the MCU lately? Ever? I mean, no, yeah. I mean, not recently. Maybe, maybe that, now the difference is how they locked it down is the question. Yeah, but putting your foot down means like, nobody leak stuff.
Starting point is 01:46:32 Like, okay. But if you're just very careful in how you're doing it, that's possible. Day Knapper, how great would it be for Nicholas Cage to start doing roles like Willem Defoe? Just show up in a movie, two or three scenes and rock everyone's dick off. Sure. Yeah, why not? Let's see. So, wait, what does it say now?
Starting point is 01:46:51 He says, how is that 139? I don't understand. What's wrong? He says, Luke says there's 140 right now. I count 115. You short-changing us, are? off. If that's the case, then what it rocks you really?
Starting point is 01:47:12 It says like, yeah, because if I missed, I got to go through the seat because I didn't sign out or anything. Dancing Dog 60. Your takes on some post-credit scenes that lead to nothing, like the Wheaton Justice League one or Black Adam, kind of hilarious in hindsight. The one that I was bummed about was the one I just watched for Guardians 2. Guardians 2 when they have all like Stallone and Ving Rames and all them together as the original guardians, like that didn't lead to anything and I wish that it would have. Um, they don't bother me.
Starting point is 01:47:43 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I knew the Black Adam. I wasn't going anywhere. That was hearing that whole debacle. You knew that was not. Oh, I see what it. It didn't. So that's so that just shows more more for Roxy too. So a lot of the super a lot of the suit they don't count a lot of the the Super Stickers. So Roxy had more than 240. So with the Super stickers. So yes, exactly. So 115 is where we stand right now. So this doesn't, this doesn't actually calculate the super stickers. George Jacob, Mike, what is your favorite mustache in a movie?
Starting point is 01:48:15 Ron Burgundy. Oh, yeah. It's a good one. Oh, that's a glorious whale stance. That came really quick, yeah. Of course. And Port Ewok, who just put in the lawsuit, which we already got. But it doesn't happen to think Marshall Ali would be a good choice yet.
Starting point is 01:48:29 We all do think you'd be a good choice if they do it. But I just don't think he's good. I don't think he's going to do it. No. All right. So, no, I didn't miss any of the super chats or stickers. I just, Derek, Derek knows that, you know, highlight, there's only so many. Yeah, thanks for fighting for us, but 240 was.
Starting point is 01:48:49 115 is damn good. 240, ridiculous. Like, but Steph, are you going to do, but you never know. Every time we try to hang off. Yeah, you never know. You guys, if you just send in 100 right now. You got 125. Damn, that's crazy.
Starting point is 01:49:02 That's crazy. crazy. Everyone who said it didn't double it up. Yeah, here's another one. Maybe it's me, Steph. Maybe I'm bringing it down, kid. I don't know. That's a good number though, 116, Mike. Love you all. At an enrollment week, phenomenal number. So, Steph, what X-Men would you be? And Mike, what would you be? What would you be? Cyclops. I could see that. That's funny. I was going to say, I hear Scilock a lot. I like for him. Yeah, you'd be a good silo. Yeah. Seiloch Polaris.
Starting point is 01:49:35 Yeah. Someone with colored hair. Well, you'd be a good sialock. That'd probably be Beast. All right, let's see. Tat Ronan. More. I mean,
Starting point is 01:49:45 117 on an average day is like solid. Solid. That's not even solid. That's great. Yeah. Yeah, it's great. I appreciate you. It's piss compared to Roxy.
Starting point is 01:49:56 Yeah. But I had like 35 yesterday. Yeah, me. Joyce, Winter Brothers just added lots of free movies to YouTube. Interesting. One of them is best picture Oscar nominated the mission. Jeremy Irons and De Niro play Spaniards. I remember that.
Starting point is 01:50:13 I always remember walking into the blockbuster and seeing it as a picture of De Niro on the cover. He's got the sword. That's what I always remember about that one. Then I'll let you go, Steph. Okay. And dancing dog 60. There will be blood. I drink your milkshake.
Starting point is 01:50:29 I drink it up. Great. Well, I actually think Superman's mustache is pretty good, too. Yeah. Tatt Ronan, 9101. 117 is nothing. It's 120. 121. Zeus Fleming, you guys rock.
Starting point is 01:50:45 Thanks for the chats today. Thank you, guys. Thank you. 121. Still not letting you sign off. And here's another one. No, no, that's not it. Okay, that's it.
Starting point is 01:50:53 All right. We do have a very solid week here. Winston and Corey are going to come in and try to see what they can do against Roxy. but I'm going to have the Infinity War reaction out tomorrow and again if you are just joining us just to show you again this is the kind of reaction you're going to get from Sam on tomorrow's reaction. That's that's one of like seven. This is what I put on the table for her. She had that and when I had that ready for she's like she's like really? I'm like yeah.
Starting point is 01:51:24 And I think within it was quick. It was quick. So that goes out tomorrow. next week. Oh, well, Saturday, probably I think Paddington and Peru is the other one. Yeah. Yeah. And then Tuesday is Captain America.
Starting point is 01:51:41 So, all right. A few more. Derek Johnson. Sorry, Mike. I feel like my return has instigated a small battle with the questions. Look, you have definitely caused a wonderful havoc, my friend. He came back in this whole week. He's been, like, Roka thought he was a shoeing and 193.
Starting point is 01:51:57 That's still insane. I know. Scott B. Are you guys looking forward to Reach your season three? Mike is. Yes, I am. I got a finish too.
Starting point is 01:52:07 I will say this. The book, it's based on Persuaders probably one of my least favorites in the series. But the show has been stellar so far for two seasons. So yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:18 Let's see. George Chekhov, don't you dare sign off. Well, you guys aren't letting this. Yeah. Tatt Ronan, 9101. Favorite Doors album and song?
Starting point is 01:52:29 My favorite Doors album is live at the Hollywood Bowl. And I like the version of the end that he just because he kind of goes into a bunch of different songs inside of that one. So I probably that that's probably my favorite one to listen to that one the most. You guys like the Doors? Not really. No. All right. Have you tried the doors stuff?
Starting point is 01:52:48 No, no. So I don't know. I'm not. I don't know. Mike's an imbecile. I can see why he doesn't like it. But I can feel that you would, if you, especially with some, uh, Bia, probably really like it. Okay.
Starting point is 01:53:00 Like this is, I say, I say no to grass. I pass on grass. This is complete imbecile. All right. So Todd Lane, love you guys.
Starting point is 01:53:07 What's all your favorite mixed drink to have one out with your friends? So recently, I mean, over the last like five years, I would tell you that I've gone away from liquor and I just like to drink, either beer or wine when I'm out of a bar. But I do have a drink. It's usually a rum and diet Coke.
Starting point is 01:53:24 Steph? Yeah. I, um, I don't really drink either. but I guess and if I do drink I it's usually like straight like I'll have like a scotch with my dad but if it's a mixed drink I guess uh oh I like a seven and seven okay I used to love Tom Collins and uh now I'm a teetos and soda guy okay yeah light it's refreshing
Starting point is 01:53:50 okay all right let's see next one here dancing dog 60 just wait a dog on minute we love step I love you. 1.30. You just need to hit 110 questions in seven minutes. Yeah. You can do it. Zeus Fleming, Mount Rushmore of sitcoms. I would say Mount Rushmore.
Starting point is 01:54:13 I would put. Yeah, see, I understand that pick. I was never a big Seinfeld guy. I always liked it when I watched. Yeah, I put him out. I put him in there, for sure. You're right. It's what to change the landscape of China to television.
Starting point is 01:54:28 Friends. Yeah, as much, like you, I don't see it, but I, I, I respect it. This isn't your Rushmore. This is what you think the Rushmore is. Rushmore of sitcoms. Then I agree with that. I'd say, cheers, friends, all in the family. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:43 Archie Bunker, I mean, come on. Back then that changed everything. Maybe the Cosby show. I love Lucy. As much as it's not good or to talk about, but the Cosby show, that was something. I don't know what's happening with today's thing because Johnny Bravo said he missed my dark series. Luke is looking for it too, said he couldn't find it.
Starting point is 01:55:02 So we'll see. I think we're getting screwed here. Yeah. No, it would list. I think we're missing about 220 questions. You guys can see it. You guys can see it too. You guys can see it too where it says it says it right there. George Cheko, what's Big Ball's favorite movie?
Starting point is 01:55:18 I'll have to ask him. Steph, you want to ask him what his favorite movie is? Yeah. Big Balls. Yeah, baby. Hi. What's your favorite movie? Oh, I'm so glad you asked. My favorite movie is little one comes in, becomes a big one, turns it out, and becomes a trick for a week. Oh. Yeah. Is this? It's with Elena Croft.
Starting point is 01:55:45 Okay. Not is, I don't know which one this is. Hot chick? No, it's just a real filthy movie. I'm a disgusting animal. Okay, okay. And I just, I just watched it in front of the television with no pants on. Okay, I'm picking up what you're putting down. Well, so was she. Okay, okay. That's all you get for that one. Yep. All right, next one.
Starting point is 01:56:14 And it is Dancing Dogs is the thing, the scariest carpenter film to y'all. It's pretty creepy. I did watch it recently. Yeah, I'd say probably the creepiest one. Yeah. Carpenter films? Yeah, I'd say so. Yeah. Someone said, missed me scroll back up. Where? I'm gonna, I'm gonna try to find it again, but I'm not seeing it.
Starting point is 01:56:37 Tat Rohn, most anticipated movie of the year. For me, it's Superman. It's so tough. I'm, Mission Impossible and Superman are like neck and neck. I'm just kind of like, I don't know. I don't know, man. Yeah, that one. I can see that one. And in me, it's Avatar also. Yeah. I think for me, it might pursue Mission Impossible just because, I think that's more of a sure bet as far as how I'm going to like them. Yeah, Steph, yours is not wicked too?
Starting point is 01:57:06 Oh my gosh, I forgot it was coming out this year. It's wicked parts. I found some good. Did anybody see the new Watchman animated movie? It's good. Made me appreciate the 2009 film and your homie Kittie Sackoff,
Starting point is 01:57:20 the Silk Specter voice. Oh, that's great. I just talked to her on the phone yesterday. Didn't ask her about that. I haven't seen it yet, but I will get to it. Okay. I love the I love the Snyder film love it yeah it's it's and it's pretty accurate to the to the comic to the snar film yeah um okay so that one we did fine I don't know yeah so they're not not lost and then
Starting point is 01:57:42 we still got more we still got more that there's they want to keep you on you at 138 guys 138 and I want you to stay on the air so this is the next one which is Todd lane Mike if you were cast in season four of Reacher would you play a villain or an ally of Reacher. Of course, like, there's a, there's a talk. Actors always love that. Like, it's so much more fun to play a villain. I disagree.
Starting point is 01:58:08 I think it's more fun to play a hero. I would love to be like an old army buddy of his that, you know, comes to for help or something. Yeah, I would love to. You got to get in on that, man. I try, man. I try. My agents try.
Starting point is 01:58:22 They try to get you in? Oh, yeah. Oh, man. Legend MM 600. Who's your favorite hero? of all time um batman for mike year double's a close second i would say
Starting point is 01:58:34 superman yeah yeah probably superman yeah dancing dog 60 i predicts huge frank waley come back i hope that's true i love frank waley so great career opportunities which oh hoffa yeah it was also really good in the small role that you had in um in pulp fiction
Starting point is 01:58:55 uh dancing dog 60 favorite sketch show besides Saturday Live. I'd say Mad TV and Living Color. Oh, no, and the color. Kids in the hall. Oh, kids in the hall. I'm crashing your head, crashing. Kids Hall, early kids' hall. Oh, my God. As a kid watching that, funniest thing of all time. Living Color is probably pretty damn.
Starting point is 01:59:14 In Living Color is so great. Chappelle's the best, like, singular sketch, like person. Yeah. And then Kim Peel is so great. Oh, God. What was his name? The, was it the black racist? character he did.
Starting point is 01:59:29 Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Todd Lane. Steph, if there was a World Girl movie besides the OG girls, who would you cast to join you guys? Hmm, good question. All of the original Charlie's Angels. Nice. Jennifer Coolidge.
Starting point is 01:59:48 And Missy Elliott. Are you guys going to be doing something wonderful, right? Yes. Yes, Miss Coolidge. Tatron and Dune 2 versus the brutalist Oh man, I wish Do you know the party I would have in my house
Starting point is 02:00:05 If Dune 2 went up winning? Yeah No world Um All right Is it a request picture? Yeah, it is. Oh, no,
Starting point is 02:00:14 All right, 139. Any other day, that's set in records. Right. Today, didn't even scratch the surface. But Roxy,
Starting point is 02:00:22 oh, just kidding, 140. Opin on, oh, Yeah. I'm telling on Jonathan Major is possibly coming back to the MCU. Well, it's a rumor.
Starting point is 02:00:32 I think it is a rumor spurned by the magazine Dreams trailer. I think Fige and them haven't even considered it. I think they've moved on and they are not touching that with a 10-foot pole. Because you do that, that opens up the Corona thing to coming back. And it's. Oh, my God. So one is a great actor and the other is. Just saying, Steph, I'm talking in the eyes of the world and the fans.
Starting point is 02:00:55 Yeah, yeah, I hear you. precedent um all right let's see that i did find another one here that when dark is my favorite tv series of all time but nobody knows what show it is when i bring it up why do you think it's so unknown and what's number one for all of you um dark dark yeah i love look dark this is a german series i've never heard yeah that's why um because that is from johnny bravo by the way so dark is one of my favorite tv shows of all time and it was the audience that told me about it i i binged it and told stephen about it and just knock through it. It's in German, right? It's like the whole thing, you got to watch it in subtitles. I don't have a problem with that, but some people do. I mean, I'm watching
Starting point is 02:01:34 Squid Game in subtitles and people are yelling at me. Put it on in English. I'm like, no. It takes away. No, it is, no. It's such a disservice. It takes me, took me right out of it. So, I don't do that. But the other thing is from, these are from like, from scientists, quantum physics people, other people that said that the way that dark handles, um, time travel and the way that it works that it is the most accurate to how the science behind it is and i loved that show i absolutely loved it so it is underrated because if that was an english speaking show it would have been i think had the kind of numbers like lost um i really do but it just it's harder because it was a foreign show that's why it was buried and people have like stephen you
Starting point is 02:02:20 never finished it did you no and you would kind of that yeah it was so up your alley it's so your alley like if you finish you. It's brilliant. It's a brilliant show. It's one of my favorite shows of all time. Um, and as far as majors coming back to the MCU, for me, it's, it's a matter of, I think Mike's right on precedent, but I, but I'll tell you though, I think that the reason why I buy some stock in it is that I think that from what the report was, they want to close up the storyline for like one movie. They're not going to have him come back and be like the villain for the whole thing. So if it's one movie, what if they, they showed him dead in the back around or something. Yeah, I didn't.
Starting point is 02:02:58 And I know there's the variance, but it was the chair that he sat in when they. I know. George Chakoff. Everyone's sending support for Stefan Roxy. I'm just here to support Mike's pirate costume. It's right, buddy, boy. Right. Dancing Dog 60.
Starting point is 02:03:11 Monty Python counts as a sketch show, yes. I mean, yeah, the movies are some of the best ever. The best. Georgie, five thumbs up for dark. Yeah. It's beautiful. Zeus Fleming, favorite reality show. I don't like them, but addicted to the trade.
Starting point is 02:03:26 Raiders. Oh, reality. I need to start at traders. Everyone keeps saying that. I never watched reality. And then recently we got on Love is Blind. And then now for the first time ever I'm watching The Bachelor, insane. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:41 Well, I probably for me, probably the ultimate fighter is probably the best one. I love that show when it was on. It was a very smart way to get people introduced to MMA. It was a great job. Okay. Well, hell yeah. 144. You guys did it.
Starting point is 02:03:56 Any other day, any other week, we're celebrating. Yeah, you're celebrating. I can even be mad. I mean, I'm not. No. No, it's still, it is pretty crazy. You guys still would need almost 100 to get Roxy right now. So either way, thank you guys for being here. Thanks to Mike, thanks to Steph.
Starting point is 02:04:11 Thank to everybody who contributed today. Tomorrow will be coy and Winston. But that's it. You guys were great, and I appreciate it.
