The Conquering here returns.
Roka's back from CinemaCon.
And did he survive it?
And when will he and PLD go on that vacation?
We'll talk about that.
So we've got a lot of stories going on.
Of course, the box office.
You got the Mummy.
It was the number one movie.
Kevin Feigke's talking about doomsday filming.
What did Rokka see?
at CinemaCon.
And what does he really think is going to pop?
What surprised him?
Talk about that.
We got a lot to talk about.
WrestleMania weekend.
That happened.
So I think they almost went out of business on Saturday.
Sunday redeemed it, at least in my eyes.
I wonder if Roker felt the same way.
So we'll discuss that and more here today on the show.
So make sure if you haven't already clicked like,
comment, subscribe, do all that and more.
don't be a
cock. Yeah, right. Let's just get into it.
Oh, it's so nice to see everybody. How's everybody doing? Good.
Back on the show today.
Turning from Vegas, probably still aching.
John Roka is here.
Set up looks good. And change it around.
Yeah, yeah. Added a little brick wall behind me there.
Messing around with stuff.
Looks good. Looks solid.
So can you confirm? I mean, shit, dude.
in your 20s when you spend more than three days in Vegas, that's too much.
So I can only imagine in your 80s what it's like.
Yeah, it's not easy.
It's not easy.
Because we're so comfortable here in our life in San Diego.
So uprooted because the lady outlaw came with me.
So we were there for the whole week.
She worked remotely from there in the hotel room for her job.
And so it was and we hadn't like shared one bathroom in a long time.
So there was that to negotiate as well.
but you know you weren't there that much though right was that you probably weren't even there that much
and in the hotel room no not really that much no no no so it was it was a matter of that because there
was so many things but like yeah it was a lot plus like you know you're you're walking through these
smoky casinos they've wafted in in all kinds of febreeze smells and you're standing in line
with people and you're dealing with some of these people cutting in line some of these influencers
think they're they're being cute by shoving in there oh you're talking about you're talking about
Like I can just see grouchy old roka.
And I say that because I am, I'm with you on, on how you feel about these things.
But like, you're online.
You're just like these people busting through.
And then just like the old dog comes out and just like, oh, yeah, sorry.
You're doing it too.
So I was doing it.
Oh, yeah.
I pushed past five of those.
Like five of those guys came in and they kept, what's up, homie?
What's up, homie?
And they kept bringing all these people in.
So I just went, excuse me.
I was push right past him.
And one guy said to me in one of the lines, he's like, what are you doing, man?
And I go, oh, I thought we were all.
I thought that's what we were doing here.
And I turned the fuck back around waiting for someone to say something else.
And of course they didn't.
So, you know, it's just not.
There's a strange, like, this is why I'm so got, I was texting you about this.
I'm just, I'm really, I'm really out of this.
Like, I'm just like, I'm so not locked into being part of these things anymore,
whether it's cinema con, Comic Con, DC, or any of these.
I just, there's like this weird war going on also.
We've seen, like, influencers and critics.
And I saw, and I saw, I saw people posting them.
I'll be fine. I don't care. I really don't care.
Yeah. It's like I understand like there's I'm not on the wavelength of
influencers shouldn't be invited. I'm not.
No, neither am I. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. But there are tons of people who are.
Oh, yeah. My thing, first of all, I think there are there are many of them that should learn to
behave. But I think there are critics that need to behave too. I don't disagree with you there too.
But I really think I have an allergic reaction to nuts.
I really do.
I eat these almonds.
Every single time that I do, I cough.
And I got to have, this got to be something.
It's got to be something.
And I used to like an idiot.
Anyway, when it comes to the influencers, I understand what people do have to understand is that they're not, you shouldn't.
At least I don't.
I don't take influencers opinions on the movies.
Right.
Seriously.
I don't.
Because that's not what they're there for.
They're not there to review objectively.
They're there to hype.
They're there to market.
They're there to share their enthusiasm, which I believe their enthusiasm is real.
A lot of it.
So I don't, I think this is a marketing strategy behind it.
I do think that some of the lines are blurred.
But I see this whole back and forth.
They shouldn't be there.
I can tell you there was a time, very much so.
when YouTube reviewers, movie reviewers, people who were not in print,
were looked upon and knows up in the air of why are these people at our screenings?
Right, right.
Things change.
Yeah, things change.
But that's what I'm trying to get it.
Like, I don't have a problem with influencers being there.
My issue is sometimes the behavior, the privileged elitist behavior, they radiate off of themselves,
that frustrates me.
And I also think this is a fault of the cinema con setup.
there's a press line.
There should be an influencer line
and a press line.
There should be sections for influencers
and sections for press.
Because press is working.
Like I've got my computer on,
I'm making notes and all this kind of stuff.
Five Yahoo's behind me,
smelling of Drachar noir,
screaming their faces off
during an Avengers doomsday trailer
is not helpful to me
in what I'm trying to do.
And so I say,
you want to be a council of Kangs
in that stadium?
Knock yourself out.
There should be a,
section for that and a section for press to do legitimate work and what they're trying to do.
So there's a level of decorum that the press section has versus the influencers.
And again, I got no problem.
You want to videotape yourself recording to an Avengers dooms.
Knock yourself out.
They should all be doing that.
It's just mixing them together, I think, is a big mistake.
But I've got to go get your bag.
Go get your money.
And studios helping them out, comp in their hotel rooms I heard, giving them per diems, I heard.
And I told you, though, here.
That's totally fine.
But this is to be fair to them on that one.
As you told me that when you heard that, Disney and Warner Brothers and whoever have been doing that for press forever.
And whether it's set visits or other things, like, hey, I remember we went to like the Antman press junk,
set visit, right?
And when you went to the Germanty one, I'm sure.
Yeah, I went to three or four.
Yes, you said.
And they put you up there.
You're not paying your own way for that.
So there are times, you know, it depends.
Like now the differences for this particular thing is that they're doing it maybe.
And maybe there were some press that was covered.
I don't know.
But there's some press that's covered.
Maybe there isn't.
And maybe it's more influencers because it's a marketing spend for them.
Right.
It's a marketing spend.
And so I get it.
Anyway.
So what happened.
The thing that I wanted to talk to you about is now, not giving too much detail because they really don't.
Because I shut down most people's articles when they were going into it because I want to react to it.
legitimately when I see it.
But first things first,
Doomsday trailer out of this world.
Great.
Incredible.
Incredible.
They needed to bring it after that Dune 3,
seven minutes of footage,
which stunned, stunned everybody in the audience.
Incredible.
Incredible.
And then the Odyssey footage,
which I think from what I was talking
on the geek buddies with Michael over the weekend,
that the footage was the exact same footage they had put in the IMAX theaters
at six minutes of footage with the horse and everything.
So it's the first time I'd seen it.
And I thought it was just stunning.
And then they added extra clips, right?
So those two films brought it.
So Disney had to bring it.
Marvel had to bring it.
And damn, if they didn't bring it.
It's an incredible trailer, right?
If you're into the Marvel universe,
which you know a little bit more about the story now?
A little bit more, but not really that much.
It was more about who's appearing,
the sense of danger that's coming,
the importance of this film.
It's a very dark trailer.
And I don't mean dark in terms of color,
or lighting rather.
I mean dark in terms of tone.
Great.
Yeah, there's a sense of, shall I say, doom that everybody has in the whole trailer.
And I loved it.
And there's four spots where everybody lost their minds in the theater,
including some of the press, I will say.
So it was just like that was awesome that they got the job done.
So is my prediction of $3 billion as crazy as it was a week ago?
I don't know at all.
I really don't know how to put that in context because how many theaters are actually going to show it,
many screenings will be going on. You've still got Dune. You still got Jumanji. Like, it's going
to be tough. Jimonji is going to say this ass handed to it. I don't know, man. I think
Jamarge is going to do fine, but I don't know. Yeah, Jamaji looked great. It looked like a lot
of fun. Good. I'm happy to hear that too. Yeah. I mean, it looked like a lot of these things
really delivered. Did anything underdelivered? Anything looks subpar? Listen, somebody may get upset at this.
Maybe some of the female listeners. Maybe PLD is a huge Devil Wars Prada fan. But I, I did not like the,
the trailer they showed for
Devil Wars Prada too.
I have a sneaking suspicion.
This film is not going to be as good as people think,
or it's going to be a little more mixed.
The stuff they showed,
I just was not that impressed.
The Ridley Scott Dog Stars trailer
and the footage, not that impressed.
So there were just some things that just
kind of didn't,
I didn't float my boat when I watched it.
But overall, I think they brought the goods.
I liked the Social Reckoning,
and I liked Inc.
The Danny Boyle film that's coming out.
as well. And Christian, if you had seen this whale fall movie, I think you wouldn't have stopped
talking about it all year. Whaleful? Which one is that? It's a new film coming out. It comes out in October,
I think, but it's based on these two kayakers who in real life got sucked into the mouth of a whale.
Oh shit. This guy wrote a film. Yeah, kind of yeah. And this guy wrote a film about a scuba diver
who gets stuck in the mouth of a whale. And they got out us. I don't know. They showed us the
footage of him getting stuck in the whale and how he gets stuck in the whale and it was harrowing.
Wait.
People in the theater in the cinema con theater were just like this is a scripted movie obviously.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
But it's based on this real story.
It really happened.
These guys got sucked into a whale.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Holy shit.
Okay, that's fun.
That's a non-known how fun it is.
Hopefully they survived.
Yeah, yeah.
It's incredible.
Wow.
Okay.
Well, so it seemed like it was worth it for you at least as a film guy and watching these
things like that it was fun.
everything in the stadium, anything in the Coliseum was utterly worth it to be there for every panel.
I think Amazon MGM won again.
I play Rocky Christian.
Oh yeah.
I play Rocky, man.
It looks great.
Yeah.
Both, I'm telling you right now, you know, as a fellow Rocky fan, you are going to effing love this.
And the trailer when it comes out.
I didn't realize that that kid played young Pacino in the offer.
In the offer.
I didn't know that.
Someone brought that up recently.
So that's, yeah, that's great.
Sounds like, you know, I still stand by the fact.
that like you know i think that being in the room probably a lot of fun and everything that you're saying
oh the other one that you mentioned that you really liked um well two things one you didn't i didn't
hear your opinion on and the other one i did you reached out to me immediately was disclosure day you
said it looks pretty good right disclosure day looks good it just the new trailer when they drop it
gives you much more of the story right and the connection between josh o'connor and emily blunt
it's pretty surprising and i after that trailer i was like i'm a thousand percent in i don't know that the
Spielberg Q&A did anything more to get me excited.
It was that trailer that got me excited.
So now I'm like, okay, this looks like it's a lot of fun.
The other one was Masters of the Universe.
Anything new on there?
I did.
No, not.
I mean, the footage they showed was fine.
It was good.
Still on more.
Yeah, I'm not sure how that's going to do.
I think that in Mortal Kombat 2 or my 2, I'm like, I have no idea how either of these
films are going to do.
How about the Tom Cruise and Aratu movie?
Oh, man, that looks great.
that looks fantastic i think cruise is absolutely lining himself up for a best actor nomination
this could be a best picture quietly best picture nomination in erito could get best director
it's very uh dr strange love so i wonder how filmgoers are going to react i wonder what it's
box office is going to be but from the footage they showed us it it's effing wild i love absolutely
wild now here's a question i have for you because where it comes to as we were talking with
our earlier conversation with
influencer
critic
you know
press and you're
you're a YouTuber as well
you know
yes and the reason why
one of the reasons besides being a groucho
man that doesn't want to interact with people anymore
I don't go to those because
I feel like now
when the trailer comes out for me
if I went I'm not reacting
for the first time and not
yeah yeah first time I know it's coming
so did you
feel like you lost any of that because you went?
Was it?
Yeah, sure.
Sure.
But I think, you know, when you and I talked about when you texted me after you saw
my Doomsday reaction, why wasn't this a shorter video?
And so it made that for me, I wasn't really, I'm not in the rhythm of doing this
consistently.
So in the future, if I do this again, if I go to another festival, go to another
cinema con or whatever, I will understand, like, I need to do shorter content for certain
things.
And then like the other, that way I can still comment on a trailer.
So it's almost like I, I'm reacting.
acting to it and get some views off of that versus, yeah, but there are other trailers that I
didn't watch.
Like I purposely kept my eyes down so that I could react to them.
So we'll see in the future if I do that or not.
But yeah, the big ones I had to watch.
Yeah, one of those.
So I did see the Mandalorian and Grogu trailer, the new one.
Yes.
You saw some more stuff.
You saw some footage, right?
They showed us 17, 17 minutes of footage.
Is it the starting?
Is it the start of the movie?
Yes, absolutely.
It's from the beginning of the movie all the way up until he takes off to go.
to Rada the Hut and go and save Rada of the Hut rather.
But yeah, I'm telling you, I loved it.
I thought it was damn good.
It ain't, it ain't any of the trilogy movies.
It's much more in the vein of solo and I don't mean that in a negative way.
Like a second half a solo?
Yeah, it's like very much its own thing and doing it's all and got its own pace.
But it's, it's a four quadrant move.
It's definitely, because the opening is pretty badass.
I mean, he's killing a lot of people in the opening of the movie.
But he's also having these funny little exchanges with Grogu.
Grogu is using his force powers.
And then we're seeing his interactions with Sigour de Weaver for the first time in the movie.
And then he gets a new ship, which is pretty awesome.
I saw the trailer and I thought it was a good trailer.
Yeah, yeah.
People were losing their minds going, oh, maybe this is it.
Star Wars is going to have this big huge.
It's still tracking.
It's $70 million, whatever it's going to be.
Which is not going to be bad.
I think it could get, it had very positive responses from CinemaCon and for the people that.
Yeah.
And even naysayers.
that were there that said it looked pretty good.
What it needs to do, as John is saying,
it needs to feel like season one and season two.
That's what we have to do.
And it needs to deliver that way.
I've still seen videos and video clips of people thinking this is going to make a billion dollars.
I think those people need to get their brain checked out.
I think they're like, I stand by it.
It's making a billion dollars.
I said, if this makes a billion dollars,
I'm going to eat my shoes with ketchup and whatever you want on it.
A billion dollars.
Are you out of your mind?
It's tracking it's $70 million.
And people are trying to make it,
and they don't understand like how math works.
And they're saying,
they're saying these things of like,
you're telling me,
you're telling me this movie's going to make less than solo.
Yeah.
Because they're at different budgets.
Yeah.
Exactly.
It's okay if it makes less than solo.
Yeah.
And it's opening weekend because solo costs like $400,
$400 million.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Overall with all the.
shoots and everything. So that was a catastrophe when they release it of what it is. This movie
even makes $75 million or 80 million opening weekend and less than solo. That's a win, Jack.
So, but it says they don't understand how math works. Um, but you're like comparing Hobbs and
Shaw to a Fast and a Furious movie. This is a Hobbs and Shaw. This is like a spin-off type of thing.
It's the own thing. Yeah. It's going to, it's like. And so the, what this trailer did successfully,
is that for fans of the show that maybe fell off a little bit,
they look,
oh, it looks great.
Maybe I'll go check that out.
I like season one and season two.
I'll go check, no, maybe, okay, all right.
Hardcore Star Wars fans, they're in, right?
So now, you're getting, you're getting your base in there, which, which you want to do.
Then you want to get the people who fell off.
The new fan is going to be tougher.
The new fan will be tougher.
However, what will happen?
And hence the reason the movie is called Mandalorian.
and Grogu is because Brogu will take some of those people
and some of the people who just want to see Grogu
and get them into the theater.
But you're still looking at anywhere between 375 to 550 to 600 overall for this moment.
Yeah, I think that's a success.
Yeah, 550 to 6 is absolutely a success.
600 is a major win.
100%.
100%.
Are you crazy?
That's a loss of Star Wars.
Maybe so.
Maybe the brand has been damaging the fact that if you're looking at,
if you're looking at, you know, strategy business-wise, it's not.
But if you're looking at what Star Wars used to be, that you could put
you know, people just talking about Star Wars at a, you know,
diner and people would go and watch it.
But that's not the case anymore.
So business-wise, if you can make $600 on this,
but I think that's going to be a mountain to climb.
Yeah, I'll tell you another thing that was a little disappointing.
It got into a little bit of Harry back and forth.
I'm not sure if you want to talk about it, is the DC Studios.
situate. Oh, right, of course, yeah.
Of course we should. Absolutely talk about it. I'll say this.
I thought the presentation for Supergirl
was lackluster.
And it was a surprise.
And I don't know how they feel about this movie.
And you were excited about that movie. I am.
Yeah, I am still. But like the
presentation, they brought out
Millie, they brought out Mamoa, they brought out
the director
Gillespie there. And Gillespie was
the only one who seemed really interested in
promoting the movie. They asked
Millie all kinds of questions. And she
seemed so indifferent and didn't have the answers like like they asked her what her favorite
moment was shooting the movie or there were a moment that stood out for her and she's like oh um all of it
all of it and i'm just like that's not the answer you want to give momo's like yeah all of it because
i was only on for 15 days or 18 days like it's fun that answer is fine for momo but like you're the
lead of the movie talk about some of these moments that really stood out or a moment
she might be over this already with the she i don't know she might be man all the because
gillespie was working hard to get people excited about the movie i
also think it was a mistake for DC to bring in Peter Saffron.
Saffron is not a presenter.
Was Gunn not there?
Boring.
Gun was not there.
And it's not a matter of like, oh, you know, what's going on?
He should have been.
Yeah, but he should have been there.
Kevin Figey showed up.
I mean, you're the co-CEO.
You're the better presenter on stage.
You should have been there.
Saffron is fine, but he's not going to get people excited.
He's a business geek.
He's not going to get people excited.
And most people are.
couldn't pick him out of a lineup.
No, exactly.
I mean, you could have had him both there.
Business, Saffron talking to the cinema owners with a gun thanking the cinema owners and workers
for helping Superman become a hit.
And then him leading the back and forth, because I think he would have gotten more out of Milly,
more out of Mamoa than Saffron did.
And so I think it was a mistake.
The footage itself, I thought, was overall good, but didn't start strongly for me.
It ended strongly.
It didn't start strongly.
So how about Clayface?
The Clayface footage was great.
I was really surprised.
It's a full-on horror.
Like, this is like Evil Dead, whatever you want to say about horror films.
It has that energy of a real straight-up horror film.
You see a dude getting his face, the main guy getting his face, like cut up by a knife.
You see the knife going into his face being cut up.
So they're not holding back.
And so I think that should excite people a lot if they are looking for this to be a straight horror film.
That's great.
You know what I was surprised?
No mention.
Not even a mention.
Maybe they did, and I just didn't hear him.
Not even a mention of the Batman, too.
No, not one mention of it.
Bizarre one.
Yes, very bizarre.
I had a source reached out to me over the weekend who said that they're hearing
that the shoot date might get moved for the Batman Part 2.
Not the release date.
Not the release date, but the shoot date, which may affect the release date.
I don't know.
And then, of course, Jeff said on the hot mic, how he had heard that the Scarlet Johansson
deal hadn't been signed yet.
And then over the weekend, there were news that
Scarlett did sign her contract. So I guess it was
still kind of up in the air. So yeah, no Batman
two stuff at all. And only
one snippet of Man of Tomorrow. Like, I don't
understand how you don't do a bigger
package for that as well.
I don't know. I'll go a little while away. But
what about Starfighter? Is it joining him a Starfighter?
Starfighter. No, nothing. Just mentioned it. Just mentioned it. At least they
mentioned it. Right. And that movie's coming out,
I think, after.
Or is it, or is it, no, it might be
with the Batman.
I don't know.
I think Starfighter comes out in May,
and I think the Batman comes out next year in like October.
Is that right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
May for Starfighter, yes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that makes sense.
Either way, all right,
looks like there was quite a few things.
Yeah.
So thank you for your wonderful coverage.

I was excited to have no on board because there's a lot of these things that just aren't,
I don't know, my opinions, a lot of them aren't the best for you.
I like the fact that they are, you know, using, you don't need the shot,
or all these other things.
And I really read through it.
And I said, this to me makes a lot more sense.
So check out Hymns.
All right.
Yeah.
Let's stick with the Avengers.
We were talking about the Avengers.
Unless, you know, before we do that, actually, let's talk briefly because there is a,
the Super Chat, there's coming in and for people who don't let last week, man, you were off the show.
Yeah.
206.
26.
And I won all by myself.
all last week
gave myself some money on you,
I'll get yourself that money.
I was right.
So,
we're a good start so far.
We're 31 already for John on his way back.
So it's a good start.
Let's get John,
let's try to get John to 150 today.
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
I knew we can do that.
It was a super chat that I saw,
so I won't get too much into it,
but,
WrestleMania was this weekend.
Yeah.
So I went and I was like,
you know what?
Let me check. I'm going to check my plan and see.
Because Ed Harrell kept telling me, the first hour is on ESPN.
Yes.
So I go to my app and I go and I look and I go.
It says, oh, not available in this area.
I'm like, what is this?
And I'm looking at what?
I'm trying to do it on the app because I signed into the bundle that I have.
You have to do this.
You have to do that.
I'm like, so I'm almost out already because too many fucking steps.
I'm like, I'm almost out.
And then my eye, let me check ESPN too.
Can't do it.
Can't access it.
it through this, this. I'm like, forget it.
So I just, I just, it was too much work.
So I just went to Twitter and I watched
every highlight and that's how I watched
Russell Media for the whole weekend because I was not
as follow the WWE thing.
I was like, I'm not doing it. If you make it that
hard for me, you're making it that hard
for me. Like, oh, do a VPN
to this. No, Peacock,
you know what I did? I clicked the button.
When it was on Peacock or
WV network, I
did watch, I watched more
of the WWE Vault this weekend.
than I watch the
Because it's easy.
It's essentially the WWE network.
Yep.
Their decision to move to ESPN was the stupidest thing that that company has ever done.
Yeah.
So dumb.
And not even for what I'm talking about.
All I saw was how many commercials were on.
And it's one of the things that on certain news apps that I'm on.
And I'm sitting there and you go to fast forward through it.
I don't want to watch this piece.
I want to watch something else.
You got to sit through six ads.
in order to get it. But the good news is they didn't advertise Hulk Hogan's thing once.
Oh, wait. Or maybe 8,000 times 45 seconds.
Everyone was complaining. What I did see is I saw clips and stuff too.
Night 1 was like Monday Night Raw. It wasn't even really. There was nothing really happened.
That was any of his page coming back, which was cool. Yeah. I'm glad she came back in the fact
they gave her a title. That seemed to be like a WrestleMania moment type thing.
Sure. Shout out to I speak.
that was a big moment.
That was a great.
Listen,
you know me.
I don't like these guys coming in
and trying to be part of this stuff.
But if they bring it,
I got to give credit what credit is due.
You know,
he did it.
It was amazing.
The Drew Bancor thing was ridiculous.
Shouldn't even happen.
I mean,
that main event was the worst thing I've ever seen.
Jesus Christ.
It was horrible between Cody Rhodes and they just dropped the ball
on that tremendously.
Pat McAfee,
giving them the middle finger to the crowd.
It's so stupid.
And all of it.
Jelly roll, all of it.
Oh, my God.
Now, go do it one on one.
It's like, shit up.
The whole thing was so stupid.
So I saw things after night one, like, oh, man, there's rumors that TKO is so pissed off.
And Triple H is going to be on the way out here unless they deliver.
You got to go credit with credits, too.
They delivered yesterday.
Yes.
Yesterday was good.
It was good.
I mean, the Obafemi thing.
And then, so the parent news is that Brock wasn't,
supposed to lay his shit down in the ring.
That's what they're saying, right?
I don't know how much I believe.
You know, you know how much it works.
Yeah.
Yeah, Triple H said it on ESPN.
Essentially hinted that he didn't know Brock was going to do that.
But I think this is all an angle.
And that Gunther is going to persecute Heyman until
Hayman brings in Brock to fight Gunther one last time.
That'll be his final match because SummerSlam is happening in Minnesota,
which is where Brock is from.
So it would make sense for Brock to do his final, final match at SummerSlam.
And then people can give him his flowers and chant and all this kind of stuff.
He got his flowers last night.
He got all that last night.
He did.
No, he did.
Yeah, it was great.
I don't know.
I think he scrapped those plans.
We have gone through him again.
Yeah, because I think Ova, and he put Oba over in the way that he did.
And it was clean.
And Oba is just, I mean, the fact, even the beginning when Brock's like hammering him,
ob was not even moving.
Yeah, that was amazing.
Some of this stuff was great.
Who knows sells Brock?
It was amazing.
I've never seen anyone do that.
They got to do what they did at Goldberg.
They got to shoot that guy up to the top immediately.
Get him with a long run, you know, if he can start.
Because he's pretty good on the mic too.
He's much better on the mic than Goldberg was.
He's really good on the mic.
And he's really playing with the audience.
And so they did that.
That was really good.
I don't really know.
I mean, I know you like the ladder match.
I don't care about any of those people.
So I just,
that was so much fun.
I know.
I went to the spots and everything, too.
It just means a gymnastics show.
So I was like,
and I'm not,
I'm not a pent thing.
I don't,
I don't understand.
I think he's a good worker.
I think he should be playing.
I think,
but remember,
dude,
when we were younger,
the intercontinental title.
Yeah,
basically given to the person,
they said,
this guy eventually is going to be a champion.
Yes,
the top guy.
Not Penta.
Penta,
you give that guy the,
you know,
the cruiserweight championship
or the U.S.
championship or something like that.
And then there was that U.S. match that was, you know, the Sammy Zane.
That was, that was interesting twos.
But, you know, the thing that really stood to me yesterday was Roman and Punk was a great manned.
That is absolutely one of the greatest men events I've ever seen.
You know when it's happening.
Like, you know when greatness is happening.
And when you've watched enough wrestling, you just know when you're watching a classic.
And that was so good that I got nervous if they were going to end it correctly.
Yeah.
That's the kind of energy you want.
did. Yeah, they did. I let them in surprise, like run-ins. It was a clean match. It was like the old
school kind of clean match. They did it and they really, the two of them put it all on the line,
and they delivered. They knew they needed to deliver. So that was good. So they made up,
and that was good. If you knew all your shit was going to be on Saturday, I think they need to go
back to one day, dude. I need to go back to one day. Yeah, it might feel like it. Maybe you do a five-hour
WrestleMania, but you've got to go back to one day, because if this is what you're doing,
you know, if this is the kind of booking.
I say four hours and I say what you do
like it used to be.
And guess what?
If you don't make the card this year,
you don't make the card this year.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like, build up your stories to where you care enough.
It's one big event for four hours.
And you'll sell that thing out.
It's harder to go two days because you're like,
I don't know what I want to see.
Do I want to see Cody versus, you know, Drew?
Or do I want to see a Punk versus Romeo?
I don't know what I want to do.
I don't understand.
It was when it was more popular than was.
It's not that popular right now.
It's losing audience.
You know, maybe a vent thing can go back to two,
but for right now, one is enough.
And I don't think it's a superstars issue.
This is all TCO's mishandling, in my opinion,
just like they're mishandling the UFC.
These people should not be in charge of these companies.
They are utter morons, in my opinion.
You quote me on that,
and I think they're not capable of understanding.
the fact that you're pissing off the hardcore fans
with all these ads, all these promos,
all these social media celebrities coming in.
Look, WrestleMania, we've always had celebrities.
From the first WrestleMania with Liberacea and Ma'amad Ali,
Aretha Franklin, there's no problem with celebrities.
It's how you use it and how you make them a part of your thing
that is the issue.
And I don't think it's right with speed.
But that's why it stands out because all the other ones really didn't.
Even the Liliotti thing with Trick didn't work that well.
And so it was like, why are we doing this stuff?
So there's a way to do it that works the way it doesn't.
And I think they're just, they don't understand the product they have.
And they're just more focused on making money off the product instead of actually making the product good for the fans to work.
Yeah.
And that's mistake.
I agree.
And I think you've got a real opportunity here though with Roman with the championship to really build up a storyline with Obafemi.
Yeah.
Because the head of the championship has surpassed the World, the WWE Championship right now.
Right.
And so you can take that heavyweight championship and make it and get Obafemi to
to Roman quick and start building that thing up.
Get them to, you know, SummerSlam and because eventually, you know,
Roman's going to only be able to last for so much long.
It looks great, but he's, but does.
You're only going to be able to last for so much longer.
You got this new star.
A punk should probably step back for a little bit, you know,
himself a rest.
Oh, you know what match I was thinking of you because it really stunked
high heaven. But I thought of you, you're probably throwing things at the TV was Becky Lynch and
AJ League. Oh, yeah. Oh. It was not good. It was not that strong. Yeah, it was surprising that match.
I mean, yeah, that and the Rio Ripley Jade Cargill match were both kind of disappointments
in how they all went down. And there was potential for it to be really great. And in the end,
the way it all the results and the way it went down, I just was like, uh, I fine, I guess. It seems to
to live that that match with live was like oh all that buildup all i mean concussions
welts on heads and that's and she and i don't know you i'm i know you're not a fan but i'm a massive
fan of live i think what she does as far as a performer goes and what they set up on raw with that
crazy eyes and how crazy nothing with that that should have been a 12 to 15 minute match and it's
insane that it was and she should have fought off the like there's so much you could have done with that
and so to cut it the way they did i thought was such an insult to those two ladies look
whatever my issues are would live she's earned the spot to have a 12 to 15 minutes match with
Stephanie Vukur so they can really kind of put this over the top and the way she won the
belt was so cheap and cheesy and then that terrible music video you know it just was like
it's so good all right well look that's our recap of uh wrestling mania there's some more
questions and something we'll talk about as i come up if you have more questions about he can put
in there currently a 38 trying to get at least 150 today get roka uh make make mike and uh roxy sweat
tomorrow let's let's do that um okay we talked about the avengers there is some more news and here it is
oh that's john roka that's me oh look you're there too we don't i don't know why you're in there
forget it just get out here um but i can't hear you though it's weird you know what oh there you
go look look figured it all right so here we go kevin feig is talking about the avengers
dooms stay filming uh following moral studies revealed
the first Avengers, Doomstay
footage at CinemaCon on Thursday night in Vegas.
Kevin Feige has spoken some more about what fans can expect.
An official synopsis from the company confirms
that the film will see heroes from three distinct universes.
What I say, three earths, what I say.
No one gives, right?
Look, I'm with you, John.
No, no one gives credit.
No.
Yeah.
I said it.
How long ago did I say that, the three years, what, six months ago?
Yeah.
Anyway, here are some three distinct universes will be set in a deadly collision
course in faith and existential threat.
unlike anything they've ever encountered,
those universes being the X-Men, Fantastic Four,
and the main MCU one.
Talking with EW,
Kevin Feigy spoke about the inspiration for the new film,
which is believed to be inspired by Jonathan Hickman's work
on the Avengers comics.
So we're not talking too much about story,
but I think people know that the story of doomsday
is inspired by a very famous comic run,
which universes are colliding in Earth's encounter one another,
and different timelines encounter one another.
And in movie speak,
what that allows us to do
is to get different cast from different
franchises. Now that the X-Men are back home, we thought we have to utilize them.
Deadpool-Mould Dream was our first opportunity to do that and touch upon it, and it just felt
like an amazing opportunity to pit multiple universes against each other, but you care about
all of them. Bringing them all together is what we've tasked to brothers with doing for us.
Feige also spoke about Magneto actor Sir Ian McKellen's comments during an interview a few months
ago, which was seen to indicate his character destroys New Jersey. Turning to co-director
Joe Russo, Fikey asked, does he destroy New Jersey in the movie? To which Russo responded,
I think he might have misspoke.
I don't think he destroys New Jersey.
Faggy added, there's a New Jersey presence,
nothing further on that front.
Speaking of Fandango,
he was asked how Avengers Doomsday connects to Avengers Secret Wars and says,
people familiar with the comic stories see that they will relate.
They relate in a different way than Infinity War and Endgame do.
I think people are expecting a similar connection.
And while one certainly does lead into the other,
it is a very different way.
I will say that Secret Wars is as ambitious a project as we've ever embarked on.
he also reportedly confirmed that some of the sets from the X-Men films were reused in Doomsday
and that there were days of film who were 30 to 35 actors were on set at the same day
it's this is going to be one of the biggest like massive things that anyone's ever attempted
in film and Doomsday and Secret Wars both of them yeah so um you know this is one of those things
it's so funny because I remember when it must have been like two months ago when we were
talking to I was talking to Chris Carr and Winston about this movie and they're like well we're just
really excited and more excited about Supergirl. I said, are you guys out of your minds?
This movie hasn't even, there hasn't been any hype for this movie yet. I'm like, it's,
it's not even time. This is when the hype starts to happen. And the cinema cons,
we get closer to summer, these things that are happening, you're going to see these big massive
trails. You already saw the trailer alone. You already know the scale of this thing and what we're
about to see. But what do you make of Kevin Feige's comments here? And, you know,
The E.M. McKellen jersey thing, he blows up Jersey, he does whatever.
It happens. It doesn't happen. Maybe there's a battle.
Whatever might happen. It doesn't matter. But the point is, there's a lot going on.
What did you make through it?
Yeah. I mean, I think that he's got the right, it feels like they got the right approach to this thing.
And the Hickman's Secret Wars is legendary. You know, I'm old enough to remember collecting
the original Secret Wars way back in the 1980s, which I thoroughly loved and the Secret Wars too,
of course. But this Secret Wars was the one they have of the Hickman was completely different.
So I'm curious to see how many elements of it they're going to borrow and how many they're going to, how many of the elements they're going to come up with on their own.
As Kevin Feige said, it has similarities as connections, but we go about it in a completely different way.
And so I've trusted them what they did with Infinity Gauntlet and how they did Infinity War off of Infinity Gauntlet.
That was great.
So I trust that they're going to get this thing right for Doomsday as well, especially after having seen the trailer.
The thing about New Jersey, I bet he wishes none of the actors would talk in any of the, any of the.
promotional material.
What are you going to say?
Many actors.
What are you saying?
In McKellen, though.
Yeah, I know.
Exactly.
I believe that I should have said what I said.
Okay.
I didn't even know he's like, oh, I,
what do I care?
You don't need to sue me?
Sue me.
Yeah, exactly.
He didn't care.
So it looks like there's going to be tons of shit going on.
We know that when it comes to this multiverse side of it.
We're going to see Andrew Garfield again.
We're going to see, you know, Toby McGuire.
We're going to see all the X-Men.
We're going to see all this shit.
And if done well, you utilized in this story can be massive.
It can be massive.
If it's just, this is what one of the concerns is that it's just going to be like a cameo soup with no substance to it.
That's where you risk, you know, being in trouble or underperforming or maybe just doing
whatever and not I don't care about Secret Wars as much because that first thing they're just going
to do that all over again.
Yeah.
But if it's good and you really are emotionally involved in all this and there's a reason why
these things and you start picking off some of these.
Remember everyone went to see Deadpool and Wolverine also because they thought it was the end
and all the X-Men.
Right.
Those times were going to die.
It was one of the main reasons people were like, oh, my God, they're going to shut down
this whole universe.
And they didn't.
Yeah.
They're going to do it here.
And I mean, they have to do it here because they need to leave into the X-Men.
is there's just nothing you can do, although somehow Hugh Jackman will survive.
Absolutely.
You'll 100% survive.
But yeah, so the buildup's real.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I agree.
And I can't wait to see how they put this all together and how they line everything up.
Because I'm telling you, coming out of the trailer, there's two extra shots of Scott that you didn't see in that X-Men stuff.
He's in the old school blue and yellow costume, which looks really good.
There's stuff between a couple other people in the trailer that,
The Shang-she moment with Gambit is great.
And so they're definitely making sure that you understand the X-Men are a big part of this
Secret Wars approach and the Fox X-Men.
And so I think that's a smart approach as well because I bet Fikey feels like the X-Men
didn't fully get their due with under Fox and it was a law of diminishing returns.
And so he wants to give them one final movie to go out right, all the actors to go out right.
And I think it's smart.
Yeah.
Yeah, and the buildup is real.
So we're going to see how that plays as we get closer and closer.
So what do you guys think about Avengers Doomsday?
Is your hype getting up there too?
Oh, is your hype getting up there?
Put your thoughts in there.
Let us know.
Okay.
Let's get to the box office as we do here every Monday when we do the box office.
we're getting closer to some of the big movies.
I know that when you were gone,
I don't know if you missed or you're going to be able to see.
I saw Michael.
I can't give a full on.
I'm seeing it tonight.
Okay.
The embargo doesn't lift until tomorrow.
So I can just give you my initial thoughts coming out of the theater.
And that's like the movie itself is very well done.
It's a very well-in-movie.
Jafar Jackson is incredible.
same with Coleman Domingo.
Do I always get that right?
I was going to his name.
Oh, and he was going to his name backwards in those.
But I'm beginning right lately.
He's fantastic because Joe Jackson.
There's a lot of great performances overall.
They really cover the rise of Michael Jackson
leading up to like the 80s.
It's clearly set up for a part two.
I mean, it's clearly set up for a part two.
So if you're going there,
it depends on what you're going there to see.
If you're going to see,
you're going to love it,
because you're a biopic guy.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It follows the formula of the biopic of the rise.
The stuff that we didn't get from the Springsteen thing,
even though you and I didn't remind that approach.
It still would have been cool to see the rise of Springsteen and all.
Yeah.
Kind of how he built and all that stuff.
You get that with this and you get what he had to do with the Jackson 5 and all that.
And then leading into, you know, his rise to becoming the biggest superstar of all time.
Now, if you're going there to see, oh, they're going to dive into, you know, the other shit that really has plagued his legacy.
Not yet.
I think that's part two.
If they, I mean, you can't do part two and not do that.
But it's also produced by his brothers.
So no, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Know that going into it.
But it's a really well done movie by, by, um, Fuqua, for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that movie's coming out.
That's going to dominate the box office.
Um, and I'll tell you.
And I'll tell you.
And I'm sure.
sure you do this too like when you go when you see what kind of interest is out there too but you can generate um
when you do the out of the theater reactions right like you'll know from when you do an out of the
theater reaction of what how it does you like oh is this is the people were curious enough to see my
thoughts on this that maybe they're they're looking forward to seeing this movie in general and depending on how
fast it hits a certain number or whatever and when i saw michael i said this will probably do pretty well
and it's almost at a hundred thousand which i was like that makes sense yeah so is my mummy out of the
theater at almost a hundred thousand.
I thought we're going to be like 20,000
views tops. Right. I can believe
that it did. That movie's not for me.
Right. But it was for
a lot of other people because it was number one this week.
So there is, this
is, uh, it scarily gets decent
box office numbers.
It is such a creepy, creepy makeup
job. It's creepy.
The Gore Heavy, The Mummy,
was one of the two major new
wide releases this week. The title making is debut in
third place at the box office. Oh,
13 didn't win number one.
So the fuck am I talking about?
Because critics were mixed negative on the film,
and the audience cinema scores at C plus,
not Wolfman bad.
It's no invisible man either.
In addition,
the title pulled in a further 7.9 million from overseas.
Why did they,
you know,
bring up the Lee Winnall movies?
Do they think it was his?
No,
just kind of,
I think just kind of those are,
those are the universal
pictures,
The Bob Odenk-Hirk-led movie, Normal was the other one,
debuting to just $2.6 million.
I could have told you that.
A cinema score of just C-plus, Sailing kids, people aren't warming to it.
It's a streaming movie.
It normally people put some of these movies, you just tell.
Super Mario Galaxy movie held on again with the top spot at $30 million,
and its third weekend, down 56% and set to hit $350 million domestically by Sunday.
Second was Project Hill Mary again.
Wow, with 18.5 in its fifth weekend.
18.5 in its fifth weekend.
That's crazy.
That's crazy good.
Down just 23% and currently with 283.1 domestic.
The longevity of the title makes Amazon's decision to keep the film and cinemas for an extended run understandable.
Yeah, it does.
Fourth place is the Zendaya and Robert Pattinson led romantic drama, the drama.
Did you see this?
I have not seen this.
I'm seeing it this afternoon.
I heard of it.
Good.
With 4.7 million down 38% in its third week in the title now at 37.7 million and on par with challengers.
And fifth was the rom-com, you, me, and Tuscany, 3.5 million, now 55%.
So here are the actual numbers itself, bringing up the box office, the Super Mario Bros.
General, this has made 747.
The $1 billion is not a guarantee, John.
Yeah, I know.
I had a feeling when the negative reviews coming out of the theater, the critics and all that kind of stuff,
that it was going to affect the overall numbers.
You think so it didn't affect the first movie.
Well, the first movie, yes, but like this is the, this was worse than the first movie.
I think there's a lot of us who liked the first movie.
True.
Who defended it.
That's true.
And so it made 1.6.
I wasn't surprised by that.
But there was such an overwhelmingly negative response to this movie.
And I think from people who went to see it as well, who were just fans, that in the end, it did affect it.
And so all these people who were like, yeah, it's a fuck the critics movie.
It isn't actually because it's not going to match what the first movie did.
Well, maybe not.
But it's still, it's still going to make like,
$900 million.
That's fine.
Everything is perspective.
I get.
$900 million.
It's still after critics.
It's still up.
Dude,
$900 million.
I mean, look, it's a sequel, sure.
Maybe it could have mean a little bit more
doing the 1.1, 1.2.
But it's still, I don't know.
The one that's supposed to do better on the sequel.
Totally.
Totally.
But it's still going to make, and it only costs like $125 million to me.
Right.
No, of course they're going to turn a profit.
Of course, there'll be a third of one.
They have turned a profit.
And then some.
It's a major, it's a major hit.
Project Hail Mary at $573 million.
It's going to make $600 to $6.50, maybe even $700 worldwide.
And that's a massive hit overall.
The mummy actually, no, I guess $34 million worldwide.
Can you look up real quick, John, if you don't mind the, what was the budget on the mummy?
I'm going to guess.
I'm going to say the budget was $35 million.
That's my guess.
on seeing it.
Because the money, the budget was.
$22 million.
Yeah, I was going to say $25, but $22 makes sense.
So they might lose money, though, on this,
because I think that the core audience
that wants to see this already saw it, it came in third place in general.
Like I said, this movie was not for me.
The gore was just, you know, it became a gimmick after a little while.
Yeah.
You knew like, okay, here's the story.
They don't really know what they're doing with the story.
So cue the gory moment in three, two, one.
Up there it is.
Someone's fingernails are coming off.
The three, two, one.
Up, there it is.
Bones cracking.
And it's like, you know, if you go for that, then you're going to dig it.
But there's a lot of this shit, too.
People are looking around making these faces.
I was like, okay, let's wrap it up.
And I said, it's more like a demon exercise, the exorcist movie than it is a demon exercise movie would be pretty good.
But a demon actresses movie more so than like a mummy.
movie? Apparently, he'd thrown and push that he didn't want it to be titled the mummy, but the studio
push for it. Um, so anyway, are you going to see it? You're not going to see a movie. The movie?
No. No, I don't know how much more legs it's got, especially with these other movies coming out
soon. The drama, which is 81 million. That's, that's a, that movie couldn't have cost more
than 35, 40 million dollars itself. So that's probably 81 so far. Probably continue to make some
money. And, uh, and you, me and Tuscany, I missed that screening. I was in California. I was in
California went out.
It was any good?
I don't know. I haven't seen it.
I didn't think it was going to do that well.
So, you know.
We're in the cusp of the summer movie season.
And I really think even though Michael is not technically,
the summer movie season for those people,
you know,
summer's not until June, dude.
You know, in the movie season, it's May.
And it's been May for countless amounts of years.
And in 2018,
it was starting to push into April.
Yes.
Fast and the Furious, Avengers, like those things.
things. So, you know, leading into, I think Michael kind of kicks off the summer movie season. And then
Devil Wears Prada, which will be one of the big ones for sure. Mandelorian Grogu, Mortal Kombat.
So there's quite a few. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's a lot coming there.
Drama. The drama was 28 million, by the way. So that's some sight. 28 million to make. So it
and made 80 so far. So yeah. Yeah. I'm happy if I was 824. I'm happy if that's a case.
well there you go yeah so um i'm very curious to what people think about the box office did you see
anything do you want to check out anything are you waiting what are you waiting for you're
waiting for michael you're waiting for mandolin grogou are you waiting for masters of the universe
mortal combat what do you wait put your thoughts in there let us know all right john so currently
we are at 42 so far oh come all you and i think i think that to start the whole thing that's a pretty good start
I think we'll probably, we'll get close.
I think we'll get close.
People can ask whatever the hell they want today.
So we'll get that going on.
But before we do, John, as I said, you got a lot of shit going on on the channel.
Yeah.
Other things, what's going on?
Yeah, I've been handling over there, YouTube.com slash John Roker says.
So much going on.
I just did, you know, five days of cinema con coverage, live coverage after every panel that I went to,
which was a lot of fun.
Talk about all the movies, both the big movies and the smaller movies.
Just give you a heads up on what might be coming.
and you could put on your calendar of films as well.
But also this week, we're back to it.
We did do a Hot Mike episode on Friday evening
after I came back from CinemaCon.
So that was a lot of fun.
But yeah, we're back doing Hot Mike Geek Buddies
twice a week.
We dropped the most recent episode yesterday.
We're lining up already a Jedi wave
for later on this week as well.
And we've got spilled a tequila tomorrow night
with me at Winston.
I will see Michael tonight,
so I'll have an out of theater reaction for that as well.
And I'll go see the drama this afternoon
and I'll have some thoughts on that as well.
So a lot of going on the channel,
YouTube.com slash John Roka says.
There you go.
Make sure you check out.
Please.
On that one.
All right.
So, you know, I can't remember what, which stream it was, but somebody said, how many
super chats would it take to do, to have Roka and PLD go on a vacation together?
There's not enough super chats in the world.
Are you kidding?
I said 500.
I don't want to smell Polish, Polish kibasa and sweat and farts for the whole tracts for the whole
trip. No thanks. No
fucking thanks.
No thanks. Are you kidding?
I would
between that is either trying to put a vacation or having you and Mike do a
debate what's going to say. Have you
have you guys spoken about what is that? No. I put
it out on the table on social media.
And I said to him. People who don't know what are talking about.
So you were talking about James Gunner's
not being there, right? Yes. He said, would he
call you a gun hater or something? Yeah, he
said that I have a hate boner for gun.
First of all, he is too old to use
that term with another human being.
who is slightly older than he is,
only slightly older than you.
And I just was like,
it's just an odd thing.
Then Michael posted like screen grabs of my tweets.
And I'm like,
where,
wow,
do you have these on,
do you have these saved?
Like,
what is this?
And so I've been very clear.
And he came off like a YouTube commenter,
which really frustrated me because we're friends.
He has my phone number.
We've been friends for decades.
He could have texted me.
Hey, man,
let's talk about the James Gun thing.
It bothered me what you tweeted out.
Let's talk about this.
He could have.
done that. But he wanted to do it publicly on social media. He took, he made the decision. So I was like,
well, if we're going to do this public, let's do it on a, let's do it on a Christian Harlov show.
Let's debate. And he kept going. He wouldn't address the debate. He kept going. And I was like,
just let me know when you're ready. Let me know when you're ready. Because I'm not going to waste time
with 140 character back and forth with Mike, but we can talk about it on a show. So, but my thing is,
I don't, I don't hate James Gunn. People are really stupid if they think that. I support his movies all the time.
always very positive. I was the director. It's the social media stuff. It's the curious decisions
on that he makes that to me is things that you can call into question. I'm not a member of a cult.
And I don't think my leader is unassailable. And I think that keeps me independent. I don't,
Tom Cruise is the only person who I would ever do that for. And there's no one else. And so to me,
I'm always weirded out by people who get offended about legitimate criticism of a person. So it just
was odd for Michael to get so upset about it. So yeah. Yeah. Well,
We'll see.
We'll see if we can get the two of you guys to discuss it.
But we don't know.
That's a 500 super chat day for sure.
Well, if, yeah, you know, it's, if he, if he comes in here, if we get him to do it,
that's what I, what I said was someone has to, one of you guys has to concede your fee.
So it either has to be him coming in on a Monday, you know, or you pop it in on a Tuesday or
whatever, you know, day he comes in to do that.
because you guys are rarely on, you know, the show's not.
And I'm doing it.
I'm going to start cutting back on the two host thing anyway.
So anyway, let's start with a new member.
Hey.
Libukud 6682 became a member.
Thank you, so much I'm sure that I murdered your username and I apologize for that.
Trey Wardhog, part one of Doomsday opening scene.
Doom walks into the stadium of Kangings and cop dust the mall,
suffocating them all on a green, massive green, flat, and smoke.
I don't know if that particular thing is, but do you see someone did make
an AI version of that with a council
of Kangs. Did you see this? Yes.
Yeah, it was insane. Awesome.
Someone said they're getting way too close
with this technology. It was awesome.
It was awesome. So they had
they had that whole scene of
Kang's and what you saw in Ant Man at the end there.
We're all discussing it and getting
ready to figure out what's happening and, you know,
real destructive dialogue
and then Doom just comes in and
just takes them all out.
And the way that they did that was
incredible. Yeah. It was, it was,
it was really good.
Do you think we'll see him come back?
I think we've had enough time past that people
I agree.
Shit if he showed up.
I agree.
The only reason I would say no is because of the whole
announcement of the,
you know, the wire thing that he's.
The daily wire thing.
He's,
like that's the only reason is why would he have to do that if he was,
if he was doing Doomsday.
But we'll see.
don't know. I think it would be a good cameo and a good way to do it. Ed.
What's up guys? A couple of things. Faggy said it's a sequel to end game. See, I told you that.
What did I? Well, again, what I've been saying, Ed? And it also goes back to the OG X-Men.
I know they use some X-Men sets, but I wonder, that's one and two. We'll get back to it.
A tornado. Hey, guys, thoughts on Cody retaining against Randy, and will they ever give him the belt before he retires? Also, is Oba next in line to beat Roman.
So we did talk about that for a little bit. Oba should beat Roman. They should set him up.
They should shoot him to the moon, that guy, capitalize.
on his star power right now.
So I hope that that is the case.
Because that's a good.
You can put him over with Brock and then Roman back to back.
Again, shoot him to the moon.
As far as Cody retaining against Randy,
I mean,
there was the only one that I missed as far as predictions wise.
Yeah.
Because I thought like,
you know,
what was the point of the storyline about the legacy
and all these things that they didn't play on at all
if you're just going to have them lose to Cody again?
So I don't know if they're up a gear.
it to him. Maybe they give a number once before he retires
in some other angle, but I don't know.
I don't think they're about helping older guys.
The punk thing was a bit of an anomaly.
I never thought he was going to carry the strap.
And when they gave it to him, I was really shocked.
And so it's no surprise that they took it off him.
The ratings are down.
The money is down.
They think Roman's going to bring people back.
Randy ain't going to bring a lot of numbers in like the way Cody does.
So I think that's what they're looking at business-wise.
I think so.
And they got to hold off on the oba.
Don't rush him into this battle with Roman.
moment because then I just I think you got a leading into who who not yet what but where do you go from
bronc with over next you can't intercom it at least past it already I think you've got I think you've got
brawn breaker I think you've got the wolverine the rabbit that's going to be yeah so yeah it's a good
question where do you go next with him now that he's done this but shooting him right to the top
I think is this quickly is is dangerous it's dangerous yeah but there's not a lot of people that
can handle that
Right, but can Oba go, can do he do a 20 minute match?
That's the thing, you know?
Yeah, I mean, look, Goldberg, Goldberg handled it.
He did.
Dude, for that year, he was holding WCW together.
Oh, well, yeah, sure, but in seven minute matches.
My point is that Roman goes 20 to 25, as you saw last night.
Like, you have to have someone who can go, and OBA doesn't have that endurance yet.
And I think he has to be built up to that.
But, you know, who knows?
WWE may want to do that?
We'll see.
45 so far hopefully we can uh let's let's hit that 150 for ok let's see what okay hey mr cj christian hope you took
advantage of great weather saturday outdoors it was really nice on saturday uh roca russomania better than you
thought or eh was all right uh saturday was horrific uh sunday was great so that's what i'll say
yeah agreed and yeah i did we went my my little one had uh softball on um saturday morning
two for two hey bases loaded hit
It was great.
Trey Wardhog, part one or two.
So Cloud and Morse in O'Aeth and Kloom's Herthing Kang, ending with the three main
Kang's growing Triumph for Crop to score.
Yeah, we'll see.
We'll see if that's the case.
Maybe he's just got a super super sphincter.
Hank, Tim.
Thoughts on mania?
I thought about 30% of it was good.
Also, Dan Housen has to be one of the worst things ever to have in a wrestling.
Always hated that gimmick.
Well, here's why I'll, this is very similar to, um, the,
Lee Cronin's a mummy, right?
Not for me.
I will disagree that there's not an audience for it.
His merchandise is selling well.
People lose their minds when they see him.
Ang, I think that for me and you,
not our cup of tea.
Like his voice annoys me,
his whole shtick with the curse.
This isn't 1992 with the gobbly gocker,
but it's working.
It is.
I love Dan Helzen.
I do. I love Dan Helzen.
And I'm just amazed.
The guy is a merchandising machine.
He is a merch machine.
And his instincts are smart with his character.
They really are.
Yeah.
Like I said, not for me, but it's clearly everyone else.
So I don't agree that he's the worst thing to ever happen to wrestling because he's over.
Yeah.
Michael D.
Is it possible the trailer comes out next Monday?
Usually trailers come out on Tuesday.
So are you looking at that?
Are you looking at that avatar that he's got, by the way?
Oh, my God.
That's the best my neck has looked in year.
But Grace Randolph was thinking that the trailer was going to come out today.
So I don't know.
It's weird.
Maybe tomorrow.
We'll see.
Maybe.
That would be great.
I'd like to say the trailer that they showed.
I mean, yeah, we're getting into it here.
Here's a reason why I don't think it's going to come out randomly right now.
I think it comes out before Mandelaar and Grogo.
yeah maybe good part yeah wait a couple weeks now you gotta get people in the theater for that movie so it makes sense yeah
uh haskell 420 that of doom is traveling to the multiverse or the ogy x-man is his world they're going to add a shot of doom into a part of days of future past yeah they're gonna i i mentioned that they're gonna do something um they're gonna release end game in october right um re-release they're going to
put a new post credit and that a new a post credit scene at the end of end game yeah it's gonna be doom
and it'll probably be doom looking through the freaking window or something something will go down
where it's gonna play and that's that's that's how you're gonna make it a direct sequel that i'm
i think that's 80% that it's gonna happen yeah yeah uh mike joyce christian is colonel troutman
an iconic character i think as far as action movies go yes i wouldn't say overall in film but i'd say
overall in action movies. Yes, there was a,
Kevin did the games with us,
John. He did, I don't know if I posted
a short of it. I don't know if you saw it, but it was
who is, at the three, who's the
best mentor, was it?
Troutman,
Mickey, or Obi-Wan.
Mickey from Rocky.
Who would you pick, and I'll tell you who I picked.
I would take Miyagi, I think, of all the three.
It wasn't even in there. Oh, sorry.
Miyagi should have been.
Mickey. I guess Mickey, I would take it.
Yeah, because the other two
dropped the ball tremendously.
Yeah.
I mean, Trump was terrible.
This is what Jeff and I debated on Hot Mike.
I don't know if you listen to the latest in episode,
but he said that Colonel Trotman is not an iconic character in the Rambo franchise.
And I'm like, what are you trying to have?
In a franchise?
That's what he said.
He said it's not iconic.
And I was like, you're insane.
If you're a Rambo fan, he's iconic.
There's no doubt.
Exactly.
In the overall grand scheme of things in movies.
Oh, sure.
Yeah, it's a different conversation.
No, because like Winston, I never seen.
We're actually putting up Rambo 2 today after this show at 3 p.m.
If I would have said to Winston, Colonel Troutman before we saw this, like, well, who's that?
Right.
Right, right.
I say to him now, Troutman, he's like, oh, yeah, the colon.
You know, yeah, of course.
And in one and two, he's legit.
And the third one, he's kind of a dick.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But he's part of it.
He's part of it.
But he's like, I said it into the things.
Rambo's a piece.
And he's like, oh, yeah, you're built for this, John.
Come on out.
And, you know, come on.
You don't want to be with the monks.
He's living in peace.
Leave him alone.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The second one is great.
He's in jail.
You break him out of jail to get him into,
to do another mission so he can be free.
And that was a nice thing to do.
And him and Napier are having the back and forth and they're at the base.
Yeah.
Trying to save him the whole time.
And if it was just one and two,
harder decision to make.
He dropped the ball in three.
Yeah.
Here's the thing.
Mike Joyce said,
I'm surprised I don't think shotman is iconic at all.
although I didn't grow up on it.
Then shut the...
Well, no, but that's what I said to Jeff.
Jeff has only seen one Rambo movie
and he tried to tell me that Troutman was an iconic.
I'm like, shut the F up.
Unless you've seen all the movies,
don't talk about the Rambo movies.
You don't know what you're talking.
Mike, there was a different conversation, like I said.
Is he an iconic character overall in movies?
Probably not.
In action movies?
Yes.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's see.
Next one.
And it is.
from Carl and Runner.
Hey,
Ronner.
London calling sending you both support.
Thank you.
Great.
First episode on Deadpool, John,
on the Cineophiles.
Christian, great reaction
with Winston for First Blood.
Thank you.
Yeah, Rambo 2 is right around the corner on that one.
We have quite a few things coming up.
Yeah.
We have Rambo.
We have Scary Movie 3 with Ming coming up.
We are doing,
I'm probably going to want,
you know, I've never seen Devil Wears Prada.
I've seen like, I've seen scenes.
I remember watch the whole thing.
So I'm going to, I'm assuming.
I mean, Steph has seen it, but I'll probably watch it with her, and I'll be a first time watch.
We'll be doing that.
We have House of the Dragon and finishing up.
We finished up Game of Thrones.
It hasn't aired yet, but we're finishing up.
Sam and I, Sam's finished Game of Thrones.
Then we already started watching House of the Dragon, so that'll start coming out.
So we've got tons of shit right now.
And then, yeah, check out John's Senate File.
People love that show.
Yeah, it's very guys.
Thank you, Carlton.
We started Deadpool.
We're doing part one, and we're going to put part two out later this week.
But yeah, a lot of good conversation.
Hank, praise B.
Brea beat that sack of bombing.
Yes.
Come on.
Be nice.
Michael D.
More support.
I don't know what that is.
That's fake.
Isn't it?
Thanks.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Renee Reyes.
Christian, how do you think Sam will react to the end of Game of Thrones?
I can already tell you.
Will she be disappointed, especially of her, her boy, John Snow?
I will tell you this because I forget John.
You don't like the last season, right?
I liked it up until the finale.
I liked it up until the...
I defended it.
I'm on record.
Here's the thing with it.
The one thing that people have to understand
with valid criticisms that everybody has.
One of the main things that piss so many people off,
which is...
Can you take this solo?
And I'll hear what you're saying.
I see what.
I can hear you.
Trust me.
Well, you know what?
You got to pee?
Yeah, actually, actually,
I'll give you a chance to pee because I forgot to do something.
So we'll go back to the game of three.
Thrones thing.
Okay.
Before you do,
I'm going to tell you guys about our friends over at Rougiet.
Hey.
And then when John gets back, we'll finish up.
Thank you to Rougiette.
Make sure you go into the description.
I'm so happy to have Ruggiette on board.
They've been on board for a bit.
And the reason why is because you guys are smart.
Keep getting them.
Okay.
So going back to Game of Thrones.
Yeah.
So one of the things with valid criticisms, a lot of people had,
first of all, the show is the last season is very rushed.
it is not it should have been 10 episodes it is not as thorough and the dialogue is not as strong as the first like five or six seasons at all there's a lot of dopey decisions made by some people that you know it's just like let's get there let's get there you can tell that being said I think that one of the main things that really because of all those criticisms the two year wait in between seven and eight to get that is a major effect on people a major effect because if it's that what I just described
And that's what you get two years later.
Like, that's what I waited two years for?
Sam did, waited like a week.
So she essentially watched a Matt.
She did watch a season that was essentially 13 episodes if you include seven and six.
Right.
With seven episodes in season seven and six episodes in season eight.
So she watched 13 episodes, really, which really was one big season.
So she didn't play that thing.
But there's a lot of stuff.
that there were things that she thought
DeNaris's turn. She would,
she hate, she loved DeNaris and hated her by the end.
Yeah. Um, which I think was by design.
Yeah. The show wants you to. Yeah. And then,
but she didn't love that John, you know,
walked into the distance with, with the wildings. Yeah. Um, so there's, um,
so there's, there's that. But I, I still, I was wondering because I didn't dislike
the last season when I saw it at the time. And I was curious watching it the second time.
if I was going, you know what, I see what everybody's saying,
I still don't mind it.
I still mind it.
There's, there's just,
there's some crazy shit that,
you know, they rushed through and there's a lot of convenient shit going on,
but I didn't mind.
Yeah.
All right.
There you go.
Yeah, I liked it until the end.
The ending is,
I didn't like the decision with Jamie.
I didn't like the decision with Donaris to turn her into a villain.
Like she had been freeing all these people,
putting this all together.
And she was right.
I mean, I was advocating for her destroying Kings Landing completely and killing everybody
and then starting all over again with a better civilization.
Oh, why would you do that?
The ending was worse than anything I wanted to.
Yeah, it's a shame.
All right, moving it over.
And again, so that'll be on, we air season seven episode, no, sorry, season eight episodes three and four tomorrow and then five or six is on Friday.
All right, Michael Zee, support.
it. Thank you. Mike Joyce, who's better? Nolan or Spielberg? Today?
Today's, you know, it's like, that's like putting up two fighters, one who's a legend and just
isn't in the heyday and isn't his prime. And then you've got somebody who's in his prime. So right now,
Nolan, um, in their prime, I don't know the answer to that. Yeah. I don't know the answer to it.
I can't answer it. But right now, Nolan. People got upset with me. This came up on the hot mic too.
I said that Nolan is every but as good as I would put Nolan's best. I would put Nolan's best.
up against Spielberg's best any day.
I really would.
I wouldn't get upset with you on that.
I think it's just because it's a, like,
it's one of these things where, you know,
Winston keeps saying this thing that I think he's out of his mind for saying, right?
Okay.
But I understand why he says.
He thinks that Ludwig is getting close to approaching John Williams as no.
No, I know.
It's a crazy statement.
It's like, he's like, I'm not saying today.
But I'm telling you, like, he's got so many.
I'm like, he's not even close.
not even the same neighborhood.
But he's young.
Zimmer's the only one in the conversation with Williams.
Right.
Currently.
Right.
Because the thing is like memorable scores and iconic scores, it's like,
Ludwig has,
Lulig's great.
He's got a lot of great things.
But like, and I think Winston,
well, Winston doesn't understand, I think, too,
there's a lot of things for Winston that he can probably pick up
from Lividway going to like that because it's some of his favorite move.
Yeah.
An iconic score is like, even if you don't necessarily,
like if you play Indiana Jones,
Superman or anything. People are going to know, oh, that's Superman.
It's all right.
That iconic has been played so many different times.
I think that literally is in a conversation right now is one of the best working guys today
because I think the argument is because of how many Oscars he's already won.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And he's in the conversation as one of the best working today.
But there's no world where he's even close to to jump.
It's not even the same, not even the same league.
I agree.
All right, let's see.
More support there.
you. Go pal. Like the new glasses, Roca?
Oh, thanks.
Great. Rob.
Let's go special. It's $2.
Hope everyone's having a great. Oh, wasn't? Oh, all right.
Thank you, Robbie. Appreciate it.
It's changed the title of it. I appreciate it. I appreciate it.
Go, pal, love the new glass. We did more support from Michael D.
More support from Michael D. Thank you, Michael.
In Rikane and on to, talk about Charlie's T, stupid Timmy comments. What does she say?
Oh, I think she said something about, oh, she said AI.
was going to replace
Shalamay's job
but no one would replace ballet
here's what she said
how long was this said it was still talking about this
I know it's so dumb
dance is probably one of the hardest things I ever did
dancers and superheroes blah blah
she said okay so I hope
oh boy I hope I run into Timothy one day
that was a very reckless comment on art
on an art form two art forms that we need to lift up
constantly because yes they do have a hard time
but in 10 years AI is going to be able to do Timothy's job,
but it will not be able to replace a person on stage dancing live.
I understand what she's saying, but here's my point.
Yeah.
You lost your time to talk about this.
It's over.
No one cares.
Yeah, I know.
I really do.
I agree with it.
He's been walking around with,
you know,
he's with ballet stuff on him,
shirts and whatever he's doing.
And he realizes that he realized it was dopey.
He lost his Oscar.
You're kicking him when he's down at this point.
I love Charlie Serran, but you're kicking him, leave along.
Plus, she said that he's right.
She said we do need to lift up these art forms because they do have a hard time.
So what Timothy said was right.
It was it wasn't right.
It was in the way he said it.
He was,
it was the execution of it.
Leave him alone.
Leave him alone.
I love Charlie's strong.
Love her.
But that was,
you're kicking him when he's down.
That's,
I would have just said, I didn't like the comments.
But, you know, it is what it is.
You could have said that and then walked away.
That's it.
Um, Samassi is 5.
In honor of 420 today,
totally forgot it was.
Thank you.
What is your favorite Stoner movie and favorite stoner character?
I got to say mall rats.
It's the first thing that comes to mind.
Also, great job with the live stream this weekend, Mr. Roker.
Thank you, Sam.
Appreciate you, bro.
I'd probably say, and half baked.
Half baked is what my answer would be.
Yeah, half baked is great.
F you, have you, have you.
You're cool.
Go, pal.
Probably tied up with work today.
Well, you're always one of the biggest supporters in here.
So thank you.
Armada.
Are you going to D23?
No.
I have no plans for it.
No, I'm retired.
I'm pretty, I'm pretty much.
Okay, Brock.
Okay, bro.
I'm pretty much retired from going to conventions.
I think I went, you know, I think my last one was, I realized that when I went to the New York Comic-Con.
Yeah.
I was walking around.
I was like, this is not for me anymore.
I'm glad that there's so much excitement for people.
And I love how people get to feel.
And, you know, they're being like a kid again and being able to really immerse themselves in the stuff that they love.
but it's just not for me anymore.
And it's it, and covering it and doing all that stuff,
I do better covering it.
Yeah,
trailers drop and stuff too.
It's just,
it's not for me.
General Jedi,
midnight and China,
so going to watch in the morning.
Thank you much.
A little support for logging off.
Thank you again.
Also,

I should probably do that today.
I show you where my head's at.
I really enjoyed the series, though.
I do.
Yeah.
Have we spoken about it?
I don't know if we talked about it yet.
I think we talked about a little bit, but yeah, it's a great.
I loved it.
First eight episodes.
It's really good. I'm going to check it out.
Gen X. Hey guys, Christian, please show Roku of the Smith's
game of Mickey. You guys had me hollering. So the funny thing
is, do we still have that picture? I don't think the picture's in here
anymore. It's gone. Okay. It was, the picture was hilarious. It was
Luke, if you have the picture, can you, can you load it back in here? He might
not have it anymore, but it was, the picture was, um,
what's his face? Troutman. Oh, yeah.
Obi-one
Mickey Mouse
which is it was hilarious
it was absolutely hilarious
um
oh for me because I forgot
well you gotta give me reminders
because I forget
it's like we're meeting today
because you forgot malls like yeah
I forgot
that's what happens I don't have I had nobody
I'm juggling plates
if you're telling me like hey
if you think we're meeting today
for you to tell me
that hey what happened today
Fuck yourself.
How about that?
All right.
David,
5218,
feel like there's not a lot
of Highlander buzz.
Would you think of it
as a cult following only
and that's why?
Well,
there's not been anything
about it yet.
Have you?
Yeah.
There was footage
at CinemaCon,
which was great.
It really was.
It does not look like
a cheap knockoff cash crap.
This looks really good.
Cabell look fantastic.
All the characters
are bringing all the actors are bringing it look great and russell crow i posted over the weekend took a shot
of himself from the gym he looks jacked rascal crow so it's it's going to be a fun movie i think and
batista looks great as well so there's not a lot of hype i think because we're not in the hype section
yet of highlander but there will be once footage starts coming out trailers did i tell you my i've told
this story a thousand times over the course of schmo's no or this show big thing do you remember
the story told about Dagnino
and Russell Crow?
I don't think I do.
It was way before he was
ever on camera with the
audience to know he was. You know, can you got to remember I've known
in stock for
Yeah, it's got to be shit man, almost 30 years, I guess, right?
Is that true?
Close to it. Got to be close. I mean,
97 or something like you.
So anyway,
he, but it was
this was probably like 2000
in
five to there's got to be we were at some pay for you boxing match and we're in
Venice California and um we were watching at some this girl's apartment she had everybody
over watched a fight.
I can't remember what it was maybe it was Delaware fight I can't remember and you know
how they do the um and there's a lot of people watching in yeah so one of those was like one
of those big fight nights and so they're you know they go around in the audience they show all
the celebrities right so they do camera and
They show Russell Crow and Dagnino, like he's at Disneyland, goes,
look, it's Russell Crow.
Silence.
Nobody said anything.
And he's just like this.
And I always give him, look, it's Russell Crow.
He was, but he wasn't, he wasn't like being funny.
He was like 100% serious and happy.
The Russell Crow was there.
And he's like, look, it's Russell Crow.
And he didn't think anybody really picked up on it that he just.
a lot of the rooms energy. It was hilarious.
That's awesome. Yeah, the other thing he did is we went to a, we went to, do you remember that bar?
You remember St. Nick's? Oh, yeah, totally.
St. Nick's right around the corner from my old apartment. And we used to, it was like our,
it was like our cheers, right? Yeah. And so when, and Tom or Dagnino, Bobbi, Bobby Finstock was,
was very famous at Irish Goodbye's, you know, that you just leave in the middle of nowhere.
And we're, we're, and you don't even know that the person's left.
So we were drinking and we're, hang on.
And he, he's like, he's, I'm going to leave.
I'm going to leave.
And I go, I'm like, you're not going anywhere.
I'm going to stick around.
Cut it out.
Everybody's drinking.
You're acting like a turd.
Don't, don't get out of you.
I'm leaving.
Only.
So he goes to leave and I go, come on, come on, come back.
Come on.
And then he's like, no, I got to get out of here.
I'm going to go soon.
I'm going to soon.
So then I noticed at one point, he tries to stink off and he starts leaving.
and he walks outside and I'm hammered right yeah and he's walking down and he's like he's looking
around and he's like he thinks he's in the clear and he's walking he's walking back and he's walking
down and he's down and I run up to him and I go put my hand on the shoulder I go get back in there
and he goes no one's ever caught me leaving before he was like all right I'll stay it was really good
anyway all right we're 70 right now um let's go Michael Dke versus Mike Kaye on Twitter
equals popcorn. Oh yeah, I'm sure. The two of them. I can't even mad. I watched something, but I wanted to, I did want to get that debate. Definitely wanted to get that debate. Yeah. I only went back. I only had two responses. Yeah. Um, okay, let's see. Next one. And that would be,
Hmm, Gen X kid. Based on what I heard at Comic Con, my AMCA A-List is ready for this movie season. Can't wait. Yeah, I mean, right? I mean, that's a good time to have it, for sure. Good time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She follows it up with.
Darth Mall's got that flame-dripping Sith Thor's Swagger, pure cinematic inferno.
It's really, really good.
Why does live action keep dropping the ball except Andor obviously?
That soundtrack, Chef's Kiss, Faloni has to have Kiner do a Star Wars movie, please.
No, no.
Not only this, by the way, it's not just Kiner or it's his kids, too.
Not only what I need to do a Star Wars movie.
There's no one else that should score any of Star Wars.
I agree.
It should be the official that team, him and his sons.
I think is his daughter, too?
I'm not sure.
Yes, his daughter, yeah.
Okay. His kids should be, if it's one of the kinders doing a movie, if it's all three of them doing a movie or a TV show, they're the only ones that get it. Ludwig was great. Ludwig was great. And he added some of the stuff to it as well too. But they're really the only ones that understand inside of it that you can make your own original score and still stay faithful to the tone of what John Williams created, still adding in some of the old school themes.
briefly he doesn't they do it masterfully in mall masterfully it feels like you're watching an old
school 80s movie but it has like little themes then there's some stuff from the prequels and
other things that they mix in it's absolutely wonderful as far as that goes as far as like what
they've done as far as live action because the problem is the transfer over between dialogue
I mean I don't know you could have made this show live action though and made you know
dove a little bit deeper into the the dialogue the problem what they do is
is that with these shows is they make them half an hour long, the live action, and they just
rely on the big action pieces and they abandon character development and good story.
Yeah.
I agree.
I agree.
Okay.
Stellar Justin Lopez.
Rokka, tell us how you know about Livon's WrestleMania entrants.
You hated it, huh?
Oh, horrific.
She can't sing.
She can't even lip sync her own song, and it was terrible dance moves.
So I, yeah, I think anybody who liked it is clearly has,
is a physical attraction to live and is not thinking with the right head.
It's just, it's just not terrible.
So you're not going to be on when we interview her?
No, happily, I won't be on.
You can knock that so you enjoy yourself.
Not a fan, huh?
Not a fan.
Oh, no.
She's one of the best female wrestlers to come around a long time.
You're crazy.
Nope.
Best personality was, not in the ring.
You better watch your mouth.
Jail and Turner.
Hey, excited for Michael on Friday.
Do we think Jafar will get a best actor or not?
maybe a doomsday trailer or am I just wishing?
Here is the problem.
Yeah, yeah.
The problem is I think that no matter what, I mean, everything inside of my out of the theater
reaction.
Now, there was stuff that I talked about, I mean, I talked about the controversy that they
don't address it.
And the way that I talked about before, people are, hey, focused in too much of the controversy.
Or tons of comments about he's innocent or tons of comments about he's guilty.
That's what the majority of these things that were coming in and, you know, a lot of them
went to spam and other things too.
But the question is, is the Academy going to be thinking about that when they look at
the performance and meaning, had they already judged on what they think the answer is if he's
guilty or innocent?
And will that affect Jafar?
Now, it shouldn't, but it will.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you think he'll get nominated?
I know.
I think, even if it delivers a great performance, I don't think he'll get nominated.
I just think there's the way it's going now.
There are already three or four locks that people are already looking at.
Salomei Cruz for Digger.
Shalomey for Dugger?
Oh, 100%.
Wow.
100%.
Uh, do a cruise for Digger.
Uh, and there are two other ones that I can't seem to think of right now.
But like, Jeff and I were talking about it on the hot mic.
And he had three locks and I threw in Cruz with Digger as well.
And so it's like looking like four locks right now.
Wow.
For best actor.
I would say, yeah, I don't think Jafar's going to make the car.
Marlon Wayne's a scary movie.
Yes, 100%.
Doug developer 8850.
Here's my special question.
Which career would you prefer?
You win an Oscar for an all-time memorable performance,
but that's your only acting role of a consistent working actor,
but you're known for nothing.
That's a great question.
Ooh.
It's a great question.
Sorry, we're quick.
Here the locks.
Matt Damon, I think, for The Odyssey.
And I also think Ryan Gosling for Project Hail Mary.
Oh, you probably.
I think so too.
Right.
I think he'll be nominated.
And I think Torturo possibly is the indie nominee.
Okay.
Okay.
This is a great question.
You win an Oscar for an all-time memorable performance,
but that's your only acting role,
where you're a consistent working actor, but you're known for nothing.
This is an easy, this is easy to answer right now because the question is,
well, yeah, I know what else that I would do.
So my answer is that I would probably win an Oscar for an all-time memorable performance.
but that's my only acting role because I'm not,
minus, you know, even though I'm going to be doing this pilot,
that's not my overall profession, right?
So if it was a career where I'm like, okay, look,
I'm going to do one performance,
I'm going to just knock it out of the park
and everyone's going to be talking about that performance forever,
and I'm going to walk off into sunset and do another career,
that'd be great.
If it's like, well, you live in poverty afterwards.
Like, no, then I would take the working actor known for nothing.
But if it's just like, you can hit an acting role,
you can do that performance,
she'll be known for it, but then you got to do another performance.
That's what I would do. How about you?
Right. Well, you say career, right?
This is the key part of the question.
Right.
So the career implies that you win an Oscar for an all-time performance,
but bachelor or the acting one,
which means you keep auditioning and don't get booked in things.
That's a life of frustration,
where the Oscar now becomes something that laughs at you and haunts you, right?
Right.
And so I would take the consistent working actor.
If we're talking career.
If we're talking career in that way,
which is how the question is posed, then I agree.
You want to be consistent working.
you're known for nothing because it's a job and you're always working yeah you make a living
yeah then you have a living um okay park holler adding stuff to end game to connect the doomsday
is a clear sign that this isn't an organic story that they're doing it's cheap justification for
bringing by people ignoring the last five-year stories i've never disagreed with any super chat as much
of i disagreed with that one peter right but i couldn't disagree with you more that is so
untrue because it's not clear that's not an organic story because they could say
bringing back the Rousseau's who did those stories.
Yep.
To say, is there anything else that we can do that we've done with this multiverse that can
connect and we can bring in doom and we can do other things?
Is there a way to make the story work?
And creatively, they sit in a room and they say, okay, well, look, what if, you know,
we had set this up and this plays into that and that plays into that?
now I can see the movie Peter Parker and and agree with you after seeing the movie but this is where I always say stop saying things like this when you haven't seen the movie it is not it is not a clear sign it's not you don't you haven't been in the writing room so I I thoroughly disagree with this I don't know John how do you feel about it yeah yeah I agree I think this is a wrong super chat in a lot of ways because I mean yeah yeah
Yes, they're retconning the situation, but the last five years of stories haven't been good.
Right.
So why wouldn't you?
This is a business.
This is a business.
This is not a black box theater thing.
Like, were they all, we've got to connect it correctly?
No, they realize they've made some fumbles and missteps.
They're bringing back these old people.
And some people may be upset about it, but you're not loud enough to stop it from happening.
And you're not loud enough to stop it being a success.
Because I was in that room.
When that trailer played, people lost their minds.
Right.
Even in the press, like they lost their minds.
And so that tells you that no matter who's complaining about, oh, that's just a nostalgia
grab, who gives a shit?
If it's good and it works and they connect the dots, that's what's important.
And again, Parker, to your credit here, maybe if the movie does just feel like a cameo soup
and it's like, they didn't really know what you're doing.
Right.
Then it's like, yeah, you know, that this was poorly executed.
Yeah, that'll be a death now.
connecting it to endgame does not is not a clear sign that it's not an organic story that that that to me um
to me is is not accurate um still or justin i don't get how tk o president r a manuel thinks that pat maccophie
is the next alone that's not true that's not true i like pat but he's more side could come
wait he didn't say that there's no world where he said that please you're just saying in general
that he's a leading guy if if he really said that then he needs to
to go to the doctor with the guys that think that Mandalorian is going to make a billion dollars.
Come on.
That's not true.
Did he say that?
He's managing McAfee's career and turning him into, like, yeah.
He's popular and he's engaging and he's a good, he's a great broadcaster.
The great broadcaster.
But that's ridiculous.
There's no, he didn't say that.
He couldn't have said that.
Well, McAfee has signed.
Oh, yes.
Oh, here we go.
Hold on.
Here it is.
What?
Hold on.
Okay.
The outlets, that's Bloomberg News reported Tuesday,
that Emmanuel, whose client list includes
Seth MacFarl and Larry David,
has the goal of transforming the ex-NFL player,
quote, into the next Sylvester Stallone.
So Ari Emanuel did say this and has a goal.
That's insane.
Stupidest thing I've ever heard.
There's no world where anyone's going to go watch
a Pat Mac of the action movie.
And if they do,
it's going to, we're not, this is,
What are we talking about?
That's that's that's stupid.
Maceous felt like TKO Book Night 1 and WWE Book Night 2.
Who knows?
Maybe I mean, I think they need to stop booking.
I mean, look, the thing is, this is one of the things I always never understood is when people get involved and they buy things, right?
But maybe they buy things because they, but they don't understand it.
But there's some people who do it, like whether you buy a baseball team, whatever you do,
because you want the investment of it.
But the good owners that don't have a knowledge of it, just think it's an investment.
They let the people that do really do the heavy creative work and understanding of how it's,
it's the ones who think that they know it, well, we spent the money on it.
So we want you to put so and so in here and do that.
That's dumb because that's not what you bought.
Yeah.
You know, and so I don't know if that is indeed the case.
maybe where's the unreal on this?
Yeah.
Right?
Don't show me the unreal about how, you know,
Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch cooking eggs.
I don't care about that shit.
I want to see, I want to see TCO and Triple H actually feuding.
Show me that.
That's unreal.
They will never do that.
Can six, seven, I love that avatar so much.
Mike versus Roca hosted by Collider Frosty,
who can watch the dollars roll in.
That clown.
I was caught on an escalator
an extent didn't say a word to me.
He didn't say a word to me.
What happened?
Oh, you know what?
Without him being here,
I don't know what the whole story is.
No, I mean, it's...
I get along with you pretty well.
Yeah, I know.
You get along with everybody.
That's your day.
You like to.
So, no, just the way it all went down,
the way it was let go,
he treated him like an utter asshole
on my last few days
and said, oh, I couldn't fight for you.
And the thing is he fought for everybody who kisses his ass.
Like all the people who are still there,
they're all people who kiss Frosty's ass.
I never was one of those people.
And so in the end,
when I got put on the show,
same thing with Jeff.
Like Frosty,
Jeff would go back at Frosty.
So Frosty did nothing to save his job.
So in the end,
that's the game.
And Frosty's a terrible interviewer and a terrible writer.
And yet he still has this job.
So it's amazing on so many levels.
So yeah,
anyway.
Noah Lawson.
Lucasill needs to give Star Wars arrest for at least 10 to 15,
years and make more original films shows.
They haven't anything since Red Tales and Strange Madag, just Indiana Jones 5 and Willow series
and nothing but Star Wars.
So I think there's a, there's a smidget of truth in what you're saying there, but
10 to 15 years, Disney bought it for $4.1 billion.
Yeah.
You know what?
$4.1 billion.
Don't make one of them we've read 10 to 15 years.
We'll make money back in 10, 15 years.
That's fine.
You can't do that.
What they need to do is what the earlier comments.
are also said is like put the kind of love and thought into what you did with mall into what
you did with um and or and let's see if that transfers into um starfighter i i i don't know if it will
but i don't disagree that they should have a separate team developing and putting together new
original films and new original movies and new original i that i agree with no a thousand percent
i don't think that right you don't have to you don't have to do one or the other you don't have to
that, well, we're going to do new originals, let's shut down Star Wars.
I think that that would be silly.
But I agree that they should absolutely 100% making originals.
How do you feel that, John?
I mean, show me the box office of Red Tales and Strange Magic.
It's not the game that they're playing at.
Yes, they can do, I hear you, you know, yes, they should do originals.
Sure, fine, whatever.
But like, they're not going to walk away from their IP for 10 to 15 years.
No responsible business owner would do that in the movie business with an IP.
It just doesn't make sense.
No, but you can develop new fantasy movies.
You can develop new things or buy new properties, buy new books that are that were popular and do it a Liza Lucasfilm production.
100%.
I agree.
But they are not doing that.
At least not right now.
Fiona George, according to the Hollywood Report of the Batman 2 is meant to be starting production next month.
We'll see if that's Joyce.
Apparently the mummy is in the evil dead universe.
Is that true?
Well, he did.
I don't know.
He did that other Evil Dead movie, so it's possible.
Is there a reference?
I don't know if there's a reference.
There is one right over my head.
Yeah.
Mike Joyce, the drama is great.
Definitely worth, make time to see it.
Yeah.
Maybe I'll do the reaction to that one.
That's what I hear.
It's doing really well, too.
People like Winston loved it.
Yeah.
Lesteller, wasn't awful, but giving stars like A.J.
Becky, Live, Gerea, J.
Short matches is criminal.
They held the women back, and I thought that they moved past that.
But to be fair, they weren't the only ones that had short matches.
there were a lot of the short matches too.
And night one was like everybody.
I don't think there was one match.
It was over 15 minutes.
The Obafemian match was only five minutes, five to seven minutes.
Right.
And that was night two.
Night one, there was hardly any matches.
So although I understand what you're saying,
they all had short matches.
I think that I do think that Liv and Stephanie's match should have
absolutely been longer because of the buildup.
Yeah, 100%.
Yeah.
Johnny Petraza.
That's the picture, by the way.
The Mickey.
you see that Mickey one?
That's great.
Calling Jay,
as a stretch.
She's horrible.
I mean,
she's,
she got,
she's got,
she had the look.
She had the look.
Yeah.
I've never seen someone talk so much in the ring.
I'd say nothing,
right?
Who does nothing.
And can't even get the most basic moves.
I'm looking,
watching,
she definitely did better in this match
than I've seen her doing a long time.
But still,
there was,
she fumbled,
that ending it was botched like crazy
you're like eight years into
this career and it's still
happening like what are we doing
some people got it and some people don't she's got the
physical she's got the physical looks
and I mean that's what people would
people were I think they were joking and serious at the same time
oh jade cartergle for
for storm and I'm like
she looks like storm but there's no
she can't cut a promo in the ring she can be able to do
dialogue in uh in a
movie like I know thanks
um
hey real quick
Quick. Yeah. Have you been watching any of the press for the Carano and Rousey stuff?
Yeah, I watched some of the clips on Twitter.
Ronald Rousey seems more interested in becoming Gina Carano's best friend than she does fighting her.
Bro, if she could get off the juice, that would be good. Okay.
Oh, Gina?
Yeah, not Gina, Rhonda.
Because that press conference was she was just going off. That's Royd rage.
She went off of everybody.
But can you agree?
that it seems like every
she hasn't said one negative thing
no I know she wants to be best friends
with her and talk about hell greats
Gina Kahn's winning that fight
she went in that fight
we'll talk about it afterwards
brother please
if Gina makes it out round one I'll be surprised
we'll see she's softening
Gene up Dan you should do the same thing to me
and then whoop me in a TKO this is day
this is classic Dan Merrill tactics
we're friends we're friends
Samassius thoughts on Charles Dance Rumor
casting in Batman too I love it
Yeah, I think it's finally.
Yeah, I mean, we've seen him play this kind of role a million times before,
but he's so solid, you can't be mad at it.
But they were going to do Liam Neeson again.
It's like, no, no, I love Liam Mason, but he was already in Batman.
He's really played.
No, Charles Dance, that's great.
Of course, he played that kind of role.
But he's perfect.
He's perfect.
And he deserves a big role like that.
All day long with him.
Stellar Justin Lopez, reports are saying that Roman's next feud is Gunther and then over.
so it's like Roman and Oba at SummerSlam.
Yeah, so then I guess who would who would Oba go up against next then?
Wait, when are feuds over in two months?
What are you talking about?
I think what absolute Roman and Gunther would be SummerSlam.
He's not saying he made it up.
He's saying those are the reports.
Yeah, but I'm saying Roman, the next big pay-per-view is SummerSlam, right?
So Roman and Gunther would go all the way to SummerSlam.
It would not be Roman and Gunther and some random pay-review and then later Oba.
That doesn't make sense.
What's the next, what's the next pay-per-view?
Isn't it, not backlash?
What's the one with the, what's the one with the chamber, the elimination chamber?
Is that coming up?
Elimination chamber.
Probably.
They'll probably build.
They could fight there.
Yeah, backlash May 9th.
Clash in Italy, May 31st, May 31st, May 31st, May 11th, summer slam is August.
Money in the bank is September.
So elimination chamber is in the, I think it's in the early part of the year,
yeah but you got to really and you got to build up that oba thing i don't know i don't know awesome that's possible
david d um david f sorry 52 1 8 i feel like dawn of the jett i could be could be the push star wars
needs not starfighter is that movie going to happen no because unfortunately like i said um the old
republic uh knights of a republic floney ain't a fan and so i think that that is not necessarily the
old republic but it's even more so i don't know if he was ever on board because remember that didn't come from
that started with Beniof and Weiss.
And then what I think happened is they asked
Mangel, what kind of Star Wars movie you want to do?
Well, we have this idea that Beni O'Noff and Weiss came in.
They were going to do this like this start of the force.
And then he's like, oh, I like that.
Maybe I'll do that.
I think that's where that came from.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But no, do you think that's going to happen?
Do you think there's going to be any Don of the Jedi?
No, hell no.
I think everything Kathleen lined up is gone,
except for that Kinberg trilogy.
I think Faloney wants to put his stamp on what's going,
what's going forward.
And I don't think anything
Clay Kathleen signed is going to happen.
Say Al-QA, RIP Patrick Muldoon.
I saw this.
Did you see this?
Yeah, yeah, such a young age.
He just posted two days ago that he's doing a movie
with Chris Hemsworth.
57, a heart attack.
Fucking hey, man.
It's like, that makes you go,
holy shit.
Like, that's Jeff from Saved by the Bell, man.
Nice.
He stole Kelly Kapowski from back.
Shit, yeah, that was terrible.
And I read that this morning.
Terrible.
So yeah,
RIP,
that's way too young.
Armada,
AYT.
Oddly enough,
the AI Doom Kang videos
was 10 times better
than Val Kilmer
AI movie trailer.
Well,
that was such a quick shot
of him.
I don't know how that's.
How did that play in the,
in the theater?
Was it weird?
Yeah,
it was weird.
People reacted.
Like,
there was muted applause.
So,
yeah,
yeah.
This is not the generation
that's going to applaud AI.
Yeah.
That won't happen.
until, you know, the now eight-year-olds.
Yeah, that's what's going to happen.
And people don't realize it or want to fight.
Some of these people say, oh, yeah, as a fad, it'll go away.
It's not.
And in 20 years from now, as Charlie Starron said, in 10 years ago, in 10 years from now,
they're able to do what they're doing right now.
Still, right now, it's not there.
The look wise, the look-wise is getting there.
The robotic dialogue and stuff, it's so bad.
It is almost unwatchable.
Even like the Kang one wasn't as horrible,
but it's still there.
It's that robotic monotone.
Yes, we'll make sure that doom will never come close.
And if he does, we'll be ready for him.
Look out.
What's that over there?
It's like that's when that happens, when how we're talking right now,
that starts to pop into AI.
That's going to be the problem.
Exactly.
Exactly.
And that'll happen.
Eventually.
Yeah.
Aiden Dardy.
I went to see Project Gail Mary last night.
Playing Hatchett and IMAX.
Is that the spin-off?
I'm in Alaska and the theater was still packed.
This thing has crazy legs.
Love the movie.
Gail Mary is like his sister.
That's the porn version.
Yeah, right.
It's true.
Penny Barber's in that one.
Hey.
There we go.
Street Fighter trailer, look for me.
Oh, yeah.
I'm more hyped for it over in World Combat.
I love that trailer, dude.
Yeah.
It's a movie I couldn't have given two shits about.
And I said when I saw it, I felt like I was in a pizza place and flushing when that came out.
Remember that's where he played Street Fighter?
And it felt like, you know, if you would have asked me a week ago, what I would rather see in the theater, Mortal Kombat 2 or Street Fighter, I would pick Moral Kombat immediately.
I'm all day Street Fighter now.
Yeah, I agree.
I'm All Day Street Fighter too.
I think it looks better.
I just want both movies to do well, to be well, to be.
to be good.
Me too.
That's what you want.
You know,
those of us
who play those games,
we want those movies to do well.
Don't pit them against each other.
No,
well,
they're not.
Both of them.
Well,
ones in summer and ones in October.
Mr.
Jay Anderson,
did cinema con change
your most anticipated?
It's a great question.
I would say so.
I added a bunch of films.
What was your number one
and what is your number one now?
Well,
Doomsday was my number of most anticipated number one,
for sure.
And the Odyssey.
Those were probably one A and one B.
But now I,
this,
I think I play Rocky.
Oh, wow.
And Doom 3 and Inc.
The Danny Boyle film.
Those three now have become like really big,
you know, the top of my list now.
For sure.
83 so far,
I'm pretty good.
Hey,
I think we get 200.
Eric,
saw the movie Cold Storage with Liam Neeson and the guy from Stranger
Things.
Oh, that's old school.
I was very entertained movie like the lot.
I'm not sure if I did.
It's one of the first movies.
Because David Harvard's a bad guy in that movie.
It's one of the,
I'm so glad that you told,
that you just brought that up.
ago because every time I see him, I always go, what was that Liam
Neeson movie he was in that I remember him from? He was, yeah, he was in
Cold Storage. He was a bad guy. Did you ever see that movie, John?
No. It was like one of the thousand, you know, action movies that
Liam Neeson did around the Taken 2, Taken 3 era when he's just doing
action movie after action movie. Oh, no, no, I think you're getting it confused
because Cold Storage was from earlier this year. Oh, was it?
Yeah, that's the one with Joe, what's his face from, uh, what's his name?
Joe Kerry.
Joe Kerry.
Oh, no, no, no.
I did not.
Right, right.
What the hell am I thinking of them?
I know which one you're thinking of.
He's like a bad guy.
He's like,
you haven't like chained up and downstairs or something.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I can't remember the name of that.
How was that?
Yeah.
So, Erigo, you failed me.
No, I'm just kidding.
No, I didn't know that movie existed.
That you told me just now.
That's a small film, but yeah.
No.
Lee Stiller.
Punk is one of the greats.
They didn't take him off because of views.
In 2024,
in 2004, punk segment peaked over Rock Cody.
product just needs to be better i happen to agree with you know you said that before too i think the
reason they gave punk the title is because of the injuries and everything else too and they said they needed
the one guy that people kept tuning into at all and it was punk i mean you look he's not wrong the
numbers when he goes and he does a promo it's the stuff that goes viral you know is the fact they
they rely on him so much but now they can give him a little bit of a break especially a roman
game back um so yeah i don't think they took him off because of use i think they took him more so
because let him have a little break and not romans back and now they have oba and
You know? Yeah. Yeah. We're in a golden age right now. I think of, and it's going to be interesting to see how they handle this. All these incredible black wrestlers, you know, Trick, Oba. They got so many across the board and then Lash over there on the women's side. So, and then Jade, they're trying to get over, you know, and then Naomi's going to come back from a pregnancy. Sadly, Bianca's, I mean, positively, Bianca is pregnant, but sadly for us not being able to see her come back in the ring. So we're a year away from her coming back. But there's a lot of great black wrestlers in the WWW right now. So see how they handle that.
looking forward to it.
The movie was called
A Walk Among the Tombstones.
That was a great film.
That's it.
That's on with David Harbor.
That's the one.
So thank you, Pildy, for that one.
Okay.
Legend, MM600.
And he says,
Happy 420, thank you.
And the Mariners winning,
Rand, stop this.
Eric Hanners,
and her shot,
excuse me.
Currently, end game ends with sound
of Stark hammering on his armor
after the credits.
My prediction is we'll see
doomed from behind forging his mask as a new post-credit scene.
That's pretty awesome if they did that.
It does end with that.
And that would be pretty great if they were able to do that.
Right?
Yeah, I think so.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Clip Champ Razor.
I had no expectations for Street Fighter,
but now the trailer has in my top five anticipated the year.
It was an excellent trailer.
It was so good.
You know what it was?
I felt like the trailer knew the assignment.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, it's not just completely,
I thought, because the stills that were coming out made it look like a Saturday
Live sketch.
Yeah.
But it's, it's goofy.
But there's also that tone where you're like, oh, no, they're also taking it serious.
Like there's an actual, like, storyline here.
And the stuff they do with Ken and Ryu was incredible.
Yeah, I couldn't believe how much I love that.
Yeah.
Okay.
Lincoln West.
I'm loving them all.
John, does it hold up to the end?
Well, he didn't watch the end.
He's only watched up to eight because they didn't release 9 and 10.
Big fan of Jedi Way, too.
Can't wait for Smith.
on Wednesday. Also, you would crush Mike in a debate.
I don't. Who knows? Who knows?
All right. So the first part, does, does, does mall hold up?
It does?
Big good. The episode seven and eight are my favorite. Episodes four, which was great.
And episode seven and eight are my two favorite, three favorite episodes of the series.
But it stays consistently great throughout. So there is no dip.
Love hearing. I'll probably watch four after, because I got this thing with Pieldy and Luke
afterwards, and I'll probably jump into that.
Is it PILD telling you that you should have watched it,
recorded things?
Yes, he's right.
But,
but no.
Okay, Armada.
I found the money.
It was in my basement.
It was amazing.
Baseball's too.
I loved his explanation.
He's like,
we were going to call it that,
but I found the money in my basement.
I was like,
okay.
Sure.
That basically is just another way of saying,
like, we changed the title.
Yeah, basically.
Did they show anything from that movie?
Yes.
Yes.
I'm surprised.
Yeah, they showed footage and behind the scene stuff.
How was the footage?
Great.
I couldn't believe.
Listen, I did not like History of the World Part 2.
I am not a Josh Gad fan.
I'm on record on that.
But damn it, if the stuff here didn't work.
It totally worked.
It's very funny.
And so I'm excited for it.
Did Gad win you over?
Because is he playing?
Is he playing what's his face, son?
Yeah, he's playing, but he's barely in the footage, smartly so.
I don't think.
I'm not, I've never found, I've liked him better dramatically than I've liked him in, yeah, but you know, there's two things.
One, obviously, Olaf is amazing.
Yes, I love his Olaf.
Never going to say anything negative about that.
You know where he's really good?
Yeah.
On stage moderating panels.
Oh, yeah.
He's excellent at moderating panels.
He did it for the celebration, a few other things, too.
Not really a fan of his overall.
I don't find him funny.
I don't either, you know.
I found him more obnoxious than I do funny.
agreed yeah but he was good in the what's that movie with anne hathaway and um and uh and jake jillan hall
the one that they oh they pose as romantic comedy but then it's like a then it's like a a cancer movie
oh friend uh shit yeah yeah yeah yeah i can't remember that one but yeah yeah yeah he's he's a medical
rep salesman and she's yeah and and and and uh what's his face gad plays like his annoying
roommate that's right that's right it is the annoying roommate yes
Perfect.
Anyway, someone was going to, I was about to tell me,
I'm waiting to hear what the, I guess,
PLDs. Love and other drugs.
Yes. Okay.
All right. Here we go.
Next one. Do you think Doom will be this generation's Vader?
It's got an opportunity to be, but Vader,
not really because Vader, Vader is the secondhand guy.
Doom's the guy.
Yeah. Also, I'm not going to compare James Earl Jones to Robert Downey Jr.
No offense, man.
Downey Jr. doesn't scare me at all.
James Lord Jones' voice scares the shit out of it.
They need to scare us, though.
Yeah.
Regardless.
You hear his voice in the trailer, by the.
Is it pretty, is it good?
It's Eastern European and it's deep.
Okay.
So I'll be curious to see what people think.
Let's see.
You know, let's see.
I think we're going to get it soon.
But we'll see.
Jake.
Christian, I met you once,
It's spectacular of four.
And you made a comment with Ellis on a half gallon of Jameson in the room.
Thank you.
I love your content and your deedle reactions with Sam.
You make me happy.
Thank you, Jake.
What a nice comment.
I really appreciate that.
Spectacular 4 was awesome.
I watched a little bit of spectacular 4 recently.
I watched your sick day performance.
Oh, yes.
That's when you came back.
That was.
People don't understand.
That was like you were like legit not going to be there.
Yeah.
Like we, we again, I didn't know what to do.
the the options that I put in the K-Fabe aspect on the stage were the real options
yeah it was either it was either have Dan play the two of them by himself have Riley play with
him for the title to them and then defend it at another time yeah or get an automatic
rematch it was like and then when you said I'm coming in I was like okay thank God it was
Dillia big and I was so upset because like we didn't get your we only got we got the music playing
but we don't yeah follow you down the ramp right yes yes yes I'm sure we would have done it
if it had been an angle we would have totally had the cameras in the right play yeah yeah yeah
yeah yeah jana betrins I like the thrones ending but I had issues with it I'm curious what
martin would have done but I guess we'll never know I'm so you know what his new the book if
it ever does come out that's going to be one of the biggest selling books of all time
because people are going to want to see what he would have done,
because the thing goes up to the fact where John Snow gets killed in the books.
Right, right, right.
And then, and then it does.
So does he bring him back in the next book?
Does he decide not to?
Like, I'm so curious if they're going to do something.
Apparently there's two books left since the old day.
But anyway, uh, slick Saturn Media.
Hey, Butes, recast these iconic Harrison four characters, solo.
Anthony and Gruber to see.
what he would do with it. Decker,
Alan Richardson.
Well, he's given us these,
the actors to choose. Oh, the upcoming. So look that.
See, I didn't even look at. He's up and coming
actors. A lordy, Taylor Johnson, and Butler.
Okay. So then I have to go back. Okay. So solo,
out of the three, who could play solo?
Taylor Johnson.
Okay. Decker.
That's a lordy in my mind.
Yeah. And then who's, and what's it? And Indiana Jones?
I mean,
Can I cast Taylor Johnson in all three?
I like the other two.
Lordy's, I mean, the super tall thing is one thing.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Those are tough.
I wouldn't, Taylor Johnson is the only one I think they can pull off the iconic roles.
I say Austin for Solo.
Austin could be Decker.
Austin could play Decker.
I think Austin for Solo, Lurdy for Decker and Taylor Johnson.
Yeah.
I don't know.
The little Yankee props to you, Jens.
Thank you. Mal, Shal Ward has joined you all this month as a great way to start this week.
Very nice way, nice thing this is.
93. Look at that. Roka rules is Badgers fan. Christian,
they love your reactions. Thank you. Days of Thunder was hilarious.
You got to do Transformers with Roca and Vincent was mess.
He's seen all the transformers always.
Yeah. So of you, right, exactly. Yeah. I've seen them all.
I mean, maybe, I mean, that doesn't necessarily mean.
Right, right. You know, if we did like a watch along to them with the footage stuff, but
with Christian going, why you like this? Why do you like this?
like this.
Yeah.
I don't know.
There's only one live action Transformers movie that I like.
Yeah.
The only one.
No.
Bubblebee.
Is that it?
Only live action.
Who did you Jason Thunder with?
Who did you Jason Thunder with?
My wife would say,
Oh, nice.
Yeah, it didn't do very well.
But we did, but I put a little short out.
The short did better than the reaction did.
I did a short where I left an apple on the table and she, and she like shows it.
I'm like, what are you doing?
There wasn't another frame.
And then she said, do Mr. Peeper.
So I did Mr. Peepers.
really good.
Ninja camp.
What is the worst Pauly Shore movie?
What trailer dropped?
Hold on.
Oh, practical magic, too.
Oh.
Who just sent that?
I couldn't give a shit about that.
He said,
I'm like, oh my God,
it's about to end the stream
and say, let's just go do the Avengers thing.
Yeah.
It sends me practical magic.
I don't think I've ever seen the first practical magic.
Neither by.
Hey, that could be one.
No.
Look, I love that, Sandra Bullock,
but uh i know uh there's no way that jury duty is his worst movie i'll tell you that no
there are movies out there that he made that yeah so whatever whatever he did a ton of stuff
his most recent richard simmons film was pretty fucking terrible i imagine um no i heard that no no no
the richards movie that he was in yeah no no no so uh the guy that did that is a friend of mine
the guy who directed yeah yeah yeah no he and he um
I actually saw it.
And so he also did the Jamie Costa Robin Williams thing.
That was great.
Yeah, yeah.
No, no.
It was approached like real, like a real movie.
Like, you know, it's actually really good.
And it was really good in it, too.
Mr. Jay Anderson, are you still doing Top Gun Mav with Ming?
Yes, we're going to do, he doesn't even remember the original.
He's seen it, obviously, but he has remembered.
He's never seen Maverick.
So we'll be doing that.
But we're definitely, we're finishing up the scary movies first.
Eric Anderson, how can someone mention starting movies and not mention Cheech and Sean?
Well, that's true.
I just haven't seen them in so long.
But yeah.
Yeah.
That's true.
Trey Porter, Jack Russell Crow.
When was the last time that happened?
Robin Hood, 2010?
Probably.
Yeah, 100%.
Nathan Drake, let's get a new killer-vers outlaw match.
Everybody's retired.
It's too much.
Zach Mind Talks Movies.
Pieldy, you better be in here for this.
Your audio ended up in the Real Rejects podcast feed.
Curious how that happened.
happened. Yeah. His name's P.
His name's L. His name's D.
Oh, he works for the Rue Ridge X as well.
He does audio stuff for them too.
Oh, boy. Is there a co-tail you
haven't ridden PLD?
Jesus Christ. There was a megaphone glitch when I
posted. Holy shit. Both accounts.
That's hilarious.
Leave it on there. Probably get more views on it.
So there you go, Zach.
I earned something where you can ride
someone else's popularity. All right. I go, yes.
How good was Jafar Jackson playing his uncle?
if he's that good, should he continue a career in acting or just movie,
and next one and done.
Oh,
that is a very tough question.
Yeah.
Because there's a specific thing that he does here.
He does not do an impression, which is what you can easily fall into in this.
He becomes Michael Jackson.
He does.
I've seen enough interviews.
I've seen enough conversations.
He's phenomenal.
The question is, what else is in the tank?
Is he comfortable with that because it's in his family and everything too?
It's not easy, but what else can you do moving forward?
I don't know.
I don't know the answer to that.
Samassius 5.
If you could choose one TV dad to teach you about the birds and the bees who you're choosing,
options are Carl Winslow, Al Bundy, or Hal from Malcolm in the middle.
Al Bundy, 1,000 percent.
Because he's going to be realistic with you.
Yeah.
You can be realistic.
I'll take hell.
I'll take you
I'll, yeah, I don't, you know, I'm not, I'm not as, I know more about Carl Winslow.
Carl Winslow is living in too much of a, everything is happy, lovely.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, it's a very different type of time.
Monica Robbs.
Hey, John, excellent cinema con coverage.
Thank you.
Loved your shows last week.
What movie are you both excited for?
Overall, I mean, like, I think that that's what John said it when it comes to big budget movies,
the big budget ones.
Yeah.
are doomsday,
Dune Odyssey,
those are the three.
And then the Interatu movie
is one of them
really, really,
I haven't seen the Rocky
trailer, but from what everybody's,
I was already interested in it,
but the fact that it's getting good buzz
it makes me more excited.
Yeah.
Yeah,
so I think we're on the same page.
Johnny Betrisa,
since 2014,
Sony holds film rights for a live action
fire and ice film by Robert Rodriguez,
without making a film,
how long can a studio hold rights?
Not fire and ice,
but George R. Martin.
Yeah.
That's weird.
Is that a...
It all depends on the studio.
It all depends on the project,
because all those contracts are different.
Yeah.
Right?
Like, for example,
like what Spider-Man,
Sony has to make a Spider-Man
movie within a certain time frame
to keep the rights,
but that isn't the same time frame
for another IP or another franchise
or other films.
It just all depends on the contract.
What's the other...
Oh, the other thing is what we didn't talk about, too,
speaking of Game and Thrones,
was the announcement of Agon, the movie.
Yeah.
It's impressed.
I'm very...
Yeah, me too.
Nathan, I find Frosty annoying interviews.
So does Roca.
Yes.
Hank Pim.
Jay is the worst female wrestler ever put on TV.
Ever?
No.
Hank's not ever.
Like, Jay.
Trey Porter, was the Crow story after the phone incident in New York?
I think it was in New York.
You threw the phone at a Bellman.
The fence section?
Oh, that's why maybe that's why he was excited that he saw him.
I don't, you know, it must have been after.
Wow.
after Hank Pimp.
Roko, where'd you get them frames?
They're clean.
They look good.
These are, these are from Costco.
No lie.
These are Gucci frames.
I got them from Costco.
And so they have good stuff there.
Don't bash Costco, dog.
Hank Pim, could you two beat Oba in a real time?
No.
No.
No.
Toss us.
No.
Could we last more than 30 seconds?
That's a good question.
Go back.
Muldoon stole Denise Richards from Johnny Rico.
Oh, yeah.
Right, right.
There you go.
Mone was awesome. Jake, I love Blind Wave, but they love everything Star Wars due to viewership bias.
How do I keep enjoying them, but also keep my criticism in check? Because look, they're, the thing, I love those of those guys too.
And Eric was really nice. It's a matter of like you watch their stuff and know that that's what they do.
They're enthusiastic about it. The same way like you look at Ken and Joseph Scrimshaw have also made it a thing that they want to make sure that they are just going towards the positive.
in the fandom and their love for Star Wars and they find the positivity.
I think that that's admirable.
I can't do that.
John can't do that and a lot of people can't.
But there are some people who are tired of me saying, oh, Flonie's got to prove himself
in this too.
And I don't blame you.
You know, they just want to see the positive side and the way that it used to be back in.
And I think that those people give you that option of living in that time period.
Yeah.
Like what it was like.
You know, they still keep that mantra.
And I think that that's admirable.
So that's, you watch it going, okay, I know that they're going to, let me find the positivity of it.
Let me watch them because that's what they do.
Yeah.
Clipchamp Razor, do you think the additional scenes in End Games re-release is going to be a new post-credit scene?
Do you think they'll do more to it?
I think it'll be a big post-credit scene that leads into what's about to happen.
Are people pumped?
Yeah, yeah.
I agree.
It'll be a post-credit scene for sure.
Because they don't think they want to mess with the rhythm of that movie.
It's such a perfect movie.
Right, 103, John, doing well.
Nice.
Alexander Wilson, from the Mando pre-sales data, it doesn't look like it's going to top.
It looks like it's going to top out of 400 worldwide.
Thoughts on that figure.
I think that's a win, or am I wrong?
At 160 million, yeah, it's a win.
It's not like a, it's not a champagne during the boardroom win.
Right.
But it's a financial win.
It's a shit, we've got to get Star Wars back on track after this.
We're only 400 million, you know, but it's still, it's not a loss.
And you're making it.
And instead of losing money and spending $200 million on a fourth season of the Mandalorian,
you're making money back.
Yeah.
Right?
Yeah.
I think so.
I think it's a win for sure.
Like you said, it's not a big win, but it's a win, considering the malaise people feel about Mandle.
Yeah.
Totally.
R.C.
Jade was supposed to be what Obafemi is for the women, but her wrestling sucks and her
mic skills are terrible.
I love her, but really wish she was better.
Yeah, I think that you're right.
She was supposed to be like that.
Rick's top picks.
With all the video game adaptations, we're getting any chance we get a spy hunter movie.
It would be amazing.
One time I think the Rock was involved the store when he was.
He was.
And that would have been.
But the question is, again, what do you put into it?
Because you did na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.
I love that.
The smoke screen, the best.
But what's involved in it?
R.C.
This is the first time WWE has had black and Latino wrestlers setting up to be the future stars of the business.
Hope they don't ruin it.
I hope so, and either.
I hope they don't either, yeah.
I want to see what they do with Dom again.
again. I think Dom should get a run and do something pretty good too. Yeah. Let Dom start
feuding with Cody now. I could be interesting. Although he's coming off a loss. It's the only
thing. Big Bang OT4. Obafemi to beat Romans next WrestleMania. They got to give this guy the
belt. Yeah, I think it should be dragged out over here for sure. I mean, yeah, built up and then
hinted at and then boom, you deliver the promise for sure. Yeah. I like that idea. Um, okay, next one
here. Would you rather
Dune 3 be total
crap? Oh.
Or Deneen never makes another
movie again. Love the show,
still hate the game of Thrones.
I think I know what he means. What he means is like
if Dune 3 is awesome,
but it means that, you know,
Deneen never makes another movie again
or it's crap or he can keep making movies.
I get the first option.
You'd rather it be great and then
Deneen never makes a movie. The first option that he
laid out total crap i'd rather it be total crap and he keeps going makes moving and yeah yeah yeah i mean
unfortunately that's that that's my answer too i don't want it to be crap but but he's got he's got
a long way to go before he's retired so yeah yeah he's just too good big bang o t four uh hope luke and
obiwan are remembered in future films same i i it's going to be telling on what was true or false
with the uh narrative that who decided to not do luke skywalker stories anymore and i don't mean
because I agree that you shouldn't just be going back and telling Luke and everything,
but not using him anymore.
They used him in the Mandalorian.
Yeah.
That was a floney decision.
The rumor was that was Kathleen Kennedy go, no, we can't do that anymore.
Don't use him anymore.
You put him in Boba Fett, don't do it anymore.
We'll find out if that's true or not because now if he wants to use him, he will.
Or he was part of that decision.
Paul Hitchcock, caught part of the Force Awakens last night, 11 years after the fact
I agree with a friend of mine that the Star Wars, that the sequel trilogy,
should have been set, set a century after Jedi and not had any of the OT cast,
would have been better.
That's hindsight's 2020 stuff, Paul.
And I'll go back once we get to your second one.
Oh, here we go.
As Lucas said, the OT characters deserve their happy endings and said Abrams and
Kazan, Game of Thrones, if I had Star Wars and turn their victory into Ash.
I get wanting Ford and et cetera, but it was a miss.
That's what I mean.
That's the hindsight.
You know, if you now gave me the option and said, you can either have, you can, you can erase the sequel trilogy and instead do a knowing what's coming, do a trilogy 100 years later, I'm choosing that.
But how in a business aspect, John, how do you not go after when Carrie Fisher's still alive and you've got Harrison Ford and the idea, they drop the ball on it?
I don't disagree with Paul and his friend.
but you got to go for that when you have it.
That's the mistake is the execution.
It was not the mistake using the original trilogy characters at all.
It was the execution.
And when you read the behind the seats and some of the reports around it,
that was their intention.
Their intention was to sideline the original characters,
bring them in to get people in the audit,
but then they wanted the new characters to be the focus
because Disney wanted to make money off of them.
That was what they wanted.
And they completely misjudged the situation.
Yeah.
completely misjudged and got smoked for it.
Jalen Turner,
Doom may take out Thor if you want a gut punch or Bucky or both.
Very possible.
Oh, yeah.
Very possible.
Oh, yeah.
Big Bang.
Should they have a Luke statue at New Jedi Temple?
Yes.
Sure.
Jake, speaking of spectacular four,
John, during your comeback, you fistpumped my girlfriend
and she felt disappointed that she couldn't give you a high five.
You wouldn't want it.
You wouldn't want it.
You didn't want to.
I was sick.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I tried not to touch anybody.
Yeah.
trying to hug me backstage i was like don't hug me i'm i don't know what i've got what i can give you so please
don't hug me yeah the fist bump fist bump was a blessing in the size yeah yeah trust me
paul hitchcock oh we did that one already okay uh chris offerday rocca love that take on the new stock

Craig Brewer just got announced and doing something.
Oh.
Snoop Dog.
Is the Snoop Dog dog?
Yes.
Yes.
That was.
Snoop was there to present.
It was awesome.
Paul Hitchcock.
Best Sterner movie is Friday.
And you know this, man.
Yeah.
Man.
Full effect.
Thank you.
Remember for eight months.
Look at that.
Curious what Sam's reaction was the ending of the long night episode.
And if you guys had trouble with the brightness.
Is that releasing still today?
For patrons, yes.
And for members, yes.
It's releasing.
today um if it hasn't already released tomorrow will be the edited version of it but um but yes she
she definitely noticed it a couple of times but it wasn't as um like like it was when people were
watching and people complaining about it there's a couple times renay reyes my criticism with the
game of thrones ending is is keeping john's true lineage and him being true heir to the iron throne
for a secret for seven seasons just to see him walk up the wildlings beyond the wall that was sam's problem
with it too yeah yeah i agree with that yeah mr j anerson do you think
June 3 will be received by moviegoers and critics like Return to the King.
I hope so.
If it's good.
If it's good, yes.
I think it would be.
Sun Tzu.
Does Triple H hate Randy or something?
He should be the all-time champions or passing Flair.
Well, that's Flair. Isn't it, John Cena?
Yeah, Sina.
Yeah, it's Sina.
And the back injury came,
OnW, it was a work.
It was terrible.
Back injury came.
OMW with ONW.
I don't know what that means.
And the back injury came.
I don't know enough about some, I'm sorry.
So I'm sorry, so I don't get a full lock on that super chat.
But I mean, I don't know if he disliked.
I don't think he dislikes him.
And again, who knows if it was his choice or if it was, you know, TKOs.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Pooch shoot riot.
We can remember six months.
Look at.
Great Resident Evil fan.
How was the footage?
I'll be all on go cabs.
Yeah, how was the footage on that?
I'm very excited about it.
Really good.
Was it?
Really good.
Yeah, it was super scary.
Well done.
Doesn't look like a video game at all.
It doesn't look like being a slave to the franchise at all.
It's doing its own thing.
I love that.
With, obviously, with the original stuff like sourcing it.
Yeah.
I was blown away by the footage.
Craigor was the great choice.
I love him.
It's the only reason I'm excited to see the movie.
JC Mighty.
Been following you both since Clyder.

Better comedic wrestler,
doint the clown, the hurricane, or art truth.
I mean, well, I think there'll be a battle between two,
but there's only one winner for me,
and it's doinkly.
I would say our truth,
because he's lasted longer as a comedic wrestler.
But doint the clown is a great choice.
Got it.
What a great character.
Jared, L.T. 78.
I hope Gunn considers hiring visual artists, Annie Park.
Time will tell whether he wants.
to be in that space or do something different.
Who is that?
Who's Andy Pratt?
He was,
let go over the weekend.
And he's been with Marvel since the beginning, 2008,
doing the visual effects and look of these Marvel movies.
So it's a big shock that he got let go.
I know you don't,
I know you don't see eye to eye with him all the time,
but the PILD he just made a good,
Santino Morel is pretty good.
It was pretty comedic, too.
Oh, Morella's great.
I don't disagree with that.
Come on, John Chima.
I go back and watch his,
his mispronunciations all the time.
And Chris Van Blitz interview with him was great.
What a nice guy.
What a nice guy.
John China.
Who should write?
Last one for now.
Christian,
how about the Giants draft after that trade?
I'll be honest.
Was that happened over the weekend?
Yeah, the Maxwell trade.
You got,
they traded your,
you trade,
oh, Lawrence, sorry, Dexter Lawrence.
You traded your great defensive end to the Bengals.
Oh, no.
For a draft pick in the first round.
Think fifth pick.
Oh, I'm seeing that.

the other two that John's going to get here um so maybe relocating from ATX soon I
have both San Diego and Long Island on my list wow that's those are two
different choices. With the context that I am
L.I. Native, what's Roker's best argument? San Diego?
He's still here. So let's see.
It's very chill. It's very
relaxed. It's fun. There's a lot
to do. And it feels like a big
city without the pressure of a big city.
So yeah, I highly recommend.
And it's very diverse. Whatever you want to do,
you can do in San Diego in a very chill
way. So I highly recommend it. I don't know
what it's like at ATX.
So it might be a good change of page.
He knows on island so you don't have to sell
with them.
Oh, my name.
You have a family.
Oh, it's two more, John.
J.C. Mighty.

He doesn't agree with me.
