Starting point is 00:00:34 It's Christmas week. And man, Brainiac got cast already. Avatar is the number one movie as we thought, but will it sustain? We shall see. And really, I'm just going to be a nice conversation between two friends here today. I know in the thumbnail currently, that'll be updated soon. You just see John Roker, but Roxy Shrier will be joining us today. So we'll be talking to Roxy and John Rocha on the show.
Starting point is 00:01:04 I'll be discussing all of the things going on. We'll talk about that fight that happened over the weekend. So let's get into it. It's myself, John Rocha, and a special guest with Roxy Stryor here today on a Monday. It's Christian Arloff show. Let's do it. Confusion. Confusion all the way around on today's show.
Starting point is 00:01:35 But the reason why I try to get people in here early. this is not Roxy's fault. Roxy had no idea. I'm blaming John Rocha. John Roca shows up a 101 every day or or one minute past the hour every day. Not Roxy today. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:01:50 This is on me, but John Roker. Because now I've got to try to set the shot. It won't be his shot. Nope. See? Now, there you go. There he is.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Oh, oh, motherfuckas. That's right. Let's bring you. You look good. Let's bring in. I apologize. I know you don't.
Starting point is 00:02:06 I do. I had to set everything. I've got a whole new. it behind me. I was working on it all morning and then I had to find the Santa had at the last minute and I found it stuck in my stuff. There we go. Well, let's bring in Roxanne Stryer here.
Starting point is 00:02:18 We'll have set up her shot. There it is. Hi. Hi. So you're, you're off the hook. No, you weren't forgotten. I'll explain in a second. You're off. You're off. You're off the hook.
Starting point is 00:02:29 But here's the three of us. Now I've got to set this up. Perfect. Yeah. Perfect. I put us there. There you. Hi, Roxie. Almost. There we go. All right. No, no. So what happened was, what happened? What happened? Well, no, I sent that, I sent out in Texas. Okay, because Roxy texted me yesterday. She's like, hey, listen, I don't know. You know, you know, you have room for me on Monday.
Starting point is 00:02:50 And I knew that I had to move the show back because Sam and I have gotten in. I mean, I, you guys don't, I don't think know this, but I brought it up the other day on Friday. Well, Winston did when he was hosting. We were watching the Batman, Sam and I on Friday, right? And the weather was so bad here. We were seven minutes into it. it. And there was, and even before we started shooting, the lights started flickering in the studios because they were working on the electricity outside because it was like rain, wind and everything. Well. So, yeah. And as we were taping, like, lights started flickering. And then seven minutes into the movie, everything shuts off. Like the power, all of it. And I'm like, yeah, that could be real bad news. And Sam's like, why? I go, I go, because we could have lost the file because the, they don't, the, the computer doesn't
Starting point is 00:03:37 know. It's just abruptly shut. off and it thinks, okay, and it's exactly what happened. We lost the fire. What tone were you actually speaking in? Oh, I wasn't really mad. Okay. I wasn't really mad because at seven minutes in, if it was an hour in, I would have been mad.
Starting point is 00:03:51 But I was seven minutes in and I said, I don't know if I want to risk this again and do a three hour movie. And then this time we get two hours in and, you know, then we got to rewatch it. Seven minutes in, you rewatch it, down the line, it's fine. So I said, you know, there's something I've been wanting to show. show Sam for a bit. And maybe this is the time because if it shuts off, it shuts off and we don't get it. But if we get it, then maybe that's where we stay.
Starting point is 00:04:16 So I showed her episodes one and two of Game of Thrones. Nice. Nice. She's locked in. Yeah, of course. So we, I knew that we were going to then record episodes three and four today. So I asked John, I said, Johnny, you cool with, you know, going a little later. And Roxy then was like, hey, do you have room for Monday?
Starting point is 00:04:35 I was like, you know, it'd be great before Christmas to have the three of us on. you guys are always great together and it's going to be nice. And then tomorrow will be me and Mike. I'm going to take Wednesday and Thursday off. The show is taking off or Christian is taking off? The show is going to be off. It's Christmas Eve and Christmas will be off. But then Friday, I think capes and cows will be back.
Starting point is 00:04:55 But then I'm going on vacation and stuff too. So Roque will be taken over on next Monday. Roxy potentially, I think, is taking over to host on Tuesday. I think so too. I'm waiting to hear if my sister's going to come visit me or not. It's so frustrating to not have, this is my little side tangent. My sister's like me where she books all her tickets and trips last minute.
Starting point is 00:05:19 You know what's fun booking your own trips last minute. What's not fun is hosting somebody who does that. I know, I know. Trust me. It's a what I mean, I'm going, look, we're taking so many different trips and I have something going on.
Starting point is 00:05:29 And so people, and this is what I asked the audience to deal with. And look, I'm humbled by this sometimes. I really am. And when I see if I'm not on the show and I'm not and I'm and people like, oh, Christian's not even on the show anymore. I'm like, right now you got to bear with me because I'm preparing for this, for the pilot.
Starting point is 00:05:46 And I'm putting things together. So I have my wonderful posts who are so great, so talented and able to and so generous with their time to be able to take over at certain times. Just bear with us as we're and, and have fun with the shows with them. So look at the, look at the great show that Roxy and Mike gave to you last week. And when I was on, when Roka was hosting the show with Dan that one time and then Chris Carr took over. So there's going to be a couple times where people taking over, especially in January, because I'm going to have to be, like I have a meeting coming up in January that I've got to be at a town for.
Starting point is 00:06:19 So they're going to take over. So just bear with us, but it's going to be worth it. It's the live audience that's really cool about it. It's the after, right? Yeah, like anybody who's here watching this live right now, you guys are always super cool about that. So I'm going to say the diehard fans, they're in support of it. The casuals. Kick rocks.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Fair enough. Kick rocks. I said it with a smile and I like that. You certainly did. You did. Did you guys, let me start with you, John. John, did you watch the fight over the weekend? Of course.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Of course. I did a live show with Shannon and then immediately jumped on to watch the fight on Netflix. What did you think? Sorry, sorry. The fight. The fight. did you think? I thought it was a shit show, to be honest with you. Jake Paul was running around falling on the dude's legs. I think Anthony Joshua knew he had that kid in the first round.
Starting point is 00:07:15 He just propped him up for six rounds, kind of like you see in snatch and then knocked him out when he needed to knock him out. Anyone saying different is either invested in Jake Paul. It doesn't know a goddamn thing about boxing or is in some way grifting off this whole thing because it was such a joke of a fight from top to mind. So you don't feel that way. Obviously, you're. laughing in his face right now i'm i i feel like i do know a lot about boxing i don't feel like i'm on jake paul's balls and i don't feel the way or no you're insane you're listen listen and i was with you on this is like mayweather carrying mcgregor for nine rounds he could have knocked him out in the second
Starting point is 00:07:50 round but he carried him for nine to give the fans their money's worth i was with you on the tyson thing i was not the tyson that was fixed i'm not with you on this one um oh come on and i'll tell you why it's because you want to interview him go ahead i couldn't couldn't care less about that interview I already I already did enough with Jake Paul. I were still paying for it with my shoulder. My shoulder is still completely going out from my Jake Paul story. So I. Do I even know you guys?
Starting point is 00:08:17 What are you like, what are you talking? You don't remember the Jake. I know the life. We have lives outside of you, Waxie. We have lives outside of you. I don't like that. I've just told this story so many different times, but I'll give you the the abbreviated version of it. Do you fight Jake Paul?
Starting point is 00:08:33 So I went to, well, that's why I had such an invested interest in that video you posed for real rejects where I will tell you that every single person that hit that bag, I would have outscored them by a lot. Oh yeah, I saw that video. I would have outscored them by a lot. Okay. I believe you, but what are you talking about? I'm just because when I went to, so Jake Paul and Logan Paul had a show on on Max that my friend Andrew Fried produced. and so I went to that party and they had one of those bags
Starting point is 00:09:06 and I had held the score for the entire night on that bag when I hit it. By the end of the night Jake Paul and his entourage came in and nobody could beat it at his entourage. Six foot five big huge dude couldn't beat it. Why do you have that heart of a punch? I just know how to rotate my hips. it has a lot of it has nothing it has nothing it's all in the hips it really is it has nothing
Starting point is 00:09:33 I just know how to throw a hook that that was the thing is when I when I was watching your video has nothing to do with the power on it it has a matter of how they were throwing it like coy coy was like and I was like that's going to be a low punch and it was it was like you've got it's like it's like it's a rotate like when John Humphrey through it's John Humphrey rotated was that because he rotated it's it's rotation in the hips and it's rotation in how you throw and how you throw and how how you snap at it. That's all it is. It has nothing to do. People, they throw differently. Anyway, point is, so Jake Paul gets up there and he throws a punch and he doesn't break my record.
Starting point is 00:10:09 And I'm like, oh, my God. I'm like, I'm going to beat Jake Paul. And then he throws it and he shattered it. And so I was like, okay, I can go home now. I was going to go home. And I said, Oh, no. stood there and started firing shots to try to beat it. I came within 10 points of his. 10 points. He was, he was so impressed. He was standing there with. me saying actually no no do this do this and i came close but i didn't be in anyway point is my shoulder still hurts that was seven eight months ago so i don't think that he really did a good job in the fight christian because you thank you for bringing us back that i have heard say that it's not necessarily a good job what i was impressed with and what you have to understand is
Starting point is 00:10:55 this is someone who has been boxing for five years. Okay. He got into the ring with a, let me finish. I'm going to let you go. John, you can go. You can go. You're right. You're right.
Starting point is 00:11:06 I'll let you finish. So for five years. And so his strategy was to do what he did, which was to run away and throw as many punches as he could and not get knocked out. The reason why I don't think it was fixed is because what he was doing, what he was taught to do was to move, get out of the way, and then what happened, he was not trained enough to sustain that. And he ran out of gas. And the second he ran out of gas, he ran into a sledgehammer. And when you run out again, you can only run for so long until, and he's also
Starting point is 00:11:40 carrying, he's also trying to hold and doing all that stuff. And when you're trying to hold a dude who's six, five, two, 40, that weight is pushing down in you. That takes a lot out of you. So do I think he fought well? No. Do I think he did the best he could in the strategy on a guy that shouldn't have been in there with that guy in the first place? Yes, I do. I think he was moving and doing it. And he made Joshua miss a bunch of times. Don't think, like I said, you look at that Tyson fight when Tyson goes like this.
Starting point is 00:12:08 This is a guy who threw that right hook and that straight right, that straight right, rather. So many times that there's no world that his instincts would allow him to do this. No. But this was different. he was moving and this guy was throwing at him but eventually he ran out of gas and he got destroyed but I actually respected the fact that he was in there he stops you're making excuses for him oh he ran out of gas
Starting point is 00:12:35 he would have held out longer if he hadn't run out of gas nonsense nonsense what do you think happened John you don't think he ran out of gas no I think I think if he if he did run out of gas it was irrelevant to what the end result was going to be okay he was absolutely Joshua knew exactly what he was doing with him just toying with him Yeah, he threw a few punches and Jake, you know, it's all about the show. This is like if you were old enough to remember that Charlie Chaplin movie where he's boxing, it's this kind of nonsense or the Martin show that episode when he tries to box.
Starting point is 00:13:02 Like when you really, like he was boxing a bunch of lightweights and a bunch of nobodies and a bunch of people who aren't that experience in boxing, the one time he fought someone, and this is the brother of Tyson Fury, not even Tyson himself, he got beat. And so whenever he faces somebody with real skills, he always loses and always gets. beat. That's just, he just has staged this whole thing like a really good influencer. He staged this nonsense. And look,
Starting point is 00:13:27 he made money. People go to see how hard he got hit with that punch? No, I mean staged in terms of like all the people he fought leading up to Anthony Joshua. He built up this reputation so much so that, listen, the man's, I'm never going to denigrate the Paul brothers in terms of marketing. Like, those
Starting point is 00:13:43 guys are effing smart. This guy was on YouTube, as you said, five or six years ago. Yeah. Hadn't box at all. Now look at where he's come to the point where he is like, center stage on a Netflix event making millions upon millions of dollars. So no shade on the man's he has lost twice by the way. Right. Once once once again, as I said, Tyson's a brother. And so in a decision. But this was a real boxer. And Anthony Joshua is not even in his prime by the way. This is not a boxer in his prime. This is a boxer just asked his prime. So how much money like a real
Starting point is 00:14:13 number would you have to be paid to have your job broken in two places? Right. Well, I think this is where you're talking about male ego. And I think with him, once he got in the ring with Anthony, because it was all talk and you saw him at the press conference, standing up doing all this kind of shit. Like Tyson said, everybody got a plan until you get punched in the mouth.
Starting point is 00:14:36 And as soon as he got in the ring with him, I think he realized he was out of his depth. So he was doing everything he could to try to delay the inevitability. He was running. What was your answer to my question, though? Oh, you're asking me how much I would take? Yeah. Oh, I think, well, in this economy, probably five.
Starting point is 00:14:53 I would have done one a few years ago. He did it for a lot more than that. Right. No questions asked, like $5 million and you know you are. I'd have fought Tyson back in the day for a million. Are you kidding? Easily. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Don't take one punch and fall down. You just make sure you have enough for the hospital. That's all you mean. Exactly. The mental health. Yeah, that's it. That's it. I look, maybe we're just at a different point.
Starting point is 00:15:18 but I actually, my friend, my friend, my brother, a few other people, I said, I have respect that he actually brought. I have respect for what he did. I'm not dissing him at all. Yeah, I have respect for what he did. I respect for how the fact that he even went in there with the guy who was 240 pounds, two-time heavyweight champion of the world. I watched the fight. What did you think, Rocks? Yeah, I just thought I would throw that into the conversation.
Starting point is 00:15:38 I don't know what I'm watching when I'm watching things, but one of them looked like a fighter and the other did not. That was my assessment of the situation. As somebody who had no idea what I'm talking about. He was falling all over the floor. I don't disagree with that. I just like that. No shade at all.
Starting point is 00:15:55 I don't know this sport. You guys know, Steph kind of knows this sport pretty well. I don't know it at all. I was watching like, wow, one of you looks like you're supposed to be here and the other looks like there,
Starting point is 00:16:04 you're not. If anybody wanted him to fight this guy, toe to toe, then they're idiots. If you wanted Jake Paul to stand there. That's certainly not what I was thinking. I was watching. I know you're not.
Starting point is 00:16:14 I know you're not. I'm just saying if anybody thought that Jake Paul was going to stay. there and trade with this guy. It's like, no, you, you, you dodge, but you try to box for a while until you can't anymore, and that's what happened. Anyway, so I'm curious what you guys think about this. What do you think about the fight? What do you think about it? General, what say you? All right, listen, we got a lot of stories, but I figure, you know what? Let's just go right away. I love when Roxy's on the show any because Roxy talks about, uh, what, there we go.

Starting point is 00:18:58 So there you go. Well, links are in the description. So let everybody know that. All right, guys, you know, here's something normally what happens is Roca and I usually on Mondays, Roka usually sets the tone, starts getting everybody's dukes up to get, okay, well, how many we got to catch up to? And Rossi and Mike usually come in on Tuesday and and it's usually a battle.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Today, they've joined forces. So we're going to get. Yeah. I thought I had it this last week. I know. No. What happened? Chris Carr and Winston coming in, coming in hot.
Starting point is 00:19:32 So we got 23 so far with you guys. Now, remember, we only have three shows this week. So you got a good shot. You got Mikey Christmas on Christmas week tomorrow. And then you got the Capes crew on Friday. So you guys got a good shot. But, John. I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Let's go, people. Come on. Bring it on. Again, 23. Not bad. You got so much to talk about. Everyone needs a little bit of R&R. I'll tell you what I'm going to go with first.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Yeah. What I was going to go with first was the box office. Because I think there's some interesting conversation you're going to have by all of us. So I'll get to it. There it is. Here are the numbers from this weekend. You got Avatar Fire and Ash coming in at number one, as we thought, at 88 million worldwide. So far, international picked up around 257.
Starting point is 00:20:28 This is around the projected numbers of what they were saying, and they're at 345 right now worldwide. David debuts at 22 million. It's a pretty big opening for this movie. I agree. I agree. Yeah. Yeah, not a lot of marketing behind it, 22 million. And a good time to release it when they do.
Starting point is 00:20:45 The House Made. this is something that Sidney Sweeney needed. This was an $18 million opening. This movie can't, couldn't have cost that much to make. I guess we'll find that out in a second, but pretty solid opening for that movie at 18 million, or 19 million rather. SpongeBob coming in now at 16 million domestic,
Starting point is 00:21:09 $957 for international worldwide, probably didn't open any roll. So 1600, we'll call it. We'll call it a fair 600. And finally, is Utopia too with another 14 million, even at the number five spot, 14 million, $1.2 billion. That's the box office. Yeah. Let me ask you guys a question. Roxy, start with you. This is traditionally normal for the Avatar movies. They don't come out of the gate in the first one. Don't come out of the gate with like a lot of the other traditional $1 billion, $2 billion movies where it's, wow, $150 million off the bat 200 off the bat opening weekend look at Zootopia 2 crushing and doing this numbers avatar has
Starting point is 00:21:52 traditionally been a slow builder do you think that will be the case or is the magic over is it we did what we're going to do here and it's not going to build up anymore um where you're the magic of avatar the magic of movie theaters um the magic of avatar i would say now i don't i don't mean how you and i feel about it as far as and how I mean so like because again traditionally one and two had decent openings and then kept going and building and building and building. Will people
Starting point is 00:22:25 keep going back to see it if they missed it or are people seen two, seen them all? I definitely feel like there was a lack of excitement. Keep going. Keep going. I definitely feel like there was a lack of excitement about this avatar movie. Yeah. Not just with the people that are in our space, but even more so from my friends back home, from people that I've talked to.
Starting point is 00:22:47 And I do feel like, and people might think this is a stretch, but a big chunk of that has to do with AI. I'm curious that people see this in theaters. I don't think that they have the same thing that we did. Christian, I bet that your theater did have this in New York, where beforehand James Cameron comes on screen and talks about what you're about to see is AI. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:09 You had that? I don't know that theaters will have that. But I do think that people are not as impressed anymore by what Avatar is doing because there is so much going on in your pocket on your device. Everywhere you look, everywhere you turn on television, when Avatar first came out in 2009 and you went to the theaters, you had never seen anything like that in your life. Right. Not just me, not just you guys, anybody, nobody'd seen anything like that.
Starting point is 00:23:39 now we have not only seen something like that, we've seen that. And with similar plot points, despite me loving it, a couple of times. So I just think that people, it's kind of not enough for them anymore. And that's a little bit concerning because what will ever be enough for anybody then. But, you know, the people kind of are speaking. And I don't see this, I still see this doing gangbusters, but I don't see this doing gangbusters like it's done in the past. Right. So I guess that's the follow-up question, John, is that if, you know, because you, you out of the three of us liked it the least, but you've all been talking about the kind of money you could make. I propose kind of the same question to you of, do you think that no, this is going to keep building, it's going to keep growing? Or is the trick done, as Roxy was saying, like, you know, people are just not as excited. Now, the numbers were, will it hit a billion? I still think the answer is yes to that. Yes, it'll hit a billion.
Starting point is 00:24:37 For sure. But what they were saying in the report, they need a billion to break even. What they were saying is that this movie needs to make $2 billion in order to, you know, justify making a four. Yep. Is there a world because you look,
Starting point is 00:24:54 I mean, look at the Sydney-Sweeney movie that we just saw. Like these other movies are like hitting those $20 million during Avatar weekend, hitting this, now granted, different audience, but still being able to do that, is it over or no we still got a shot to do two billion here you know we started out the show talking about boxing um and i'm going to give you a boxing line from a movie that's one of christian harlofs and i's favorite i don't know roxy feels about it but rocky four uh when they say the russians cut and the russians cut cameron's cut and this film is just not good i call it avatar fire and
Starting point is 00:25:27 ass and wow that bad wow oh yeah i was horrible i wanted to leave the theater with it wow It was so... Wait, but how did you quick, how did you feel about one and two? I liked one. I liked two. I would clarify, I loved one. I liked two, but with caveats.
Starting point is 00:25:44 And so when three came around and it was longer and repetitive, that just became so annoying. Now, isn't they... You tapped out. You tapped out. If all reviews are leading with, the visuals are amazing.
Starting point is 00:25:57 And oh, yeah, the story's not that strong. That tells you everything you need to know about the movie. Okay? So I know people go. to see the visuals, and I respect that and totally appreciate that. They are beautiful visuals. No one's touching Cameron's visuals when it comes to technology and the gorgeousness of those movies. Hands down, as Roxy said, no one ever has seen nothing like that in 2009. And I would argue
Starting point is 00:26:18 even in the second and the third one, no one's seen anything like that that matches it other than the first movie. And so it's incredible what he does. But the story is where people are tapping out. I think they're exhausted by the story. It's so repetitive. And the reviews, weren't that great this time around for it. And I do think some movies do get affected by reviews. Jurassic Park is untouchable. It's a Teflon Dawn.
Starting point is 00:26:40 But I think with Avatar, the hubris of a three hour and 14 minute movie, the fact that the reviews are saying they're repetitive. I think people are exhausted. They don't want to go see it. Now, if Nolan came, that Odyssey trailer, which we'll get to, that comes out three hours and 14 minutes.
Starting point is 00:26:53 People are stacking the theaters to see it. But I think camera, the luster is off camera in a little bit. He needed to do something different. I agree with you. Yes. And I hope this is it. I hope he moves on and does other things because this is just exhausting now. I would like to see it go more places.
Starting point is 00:27:08 I would like to, I mean, like I said, I'm an avatar. But I don't disagree. I know. I don't disagree with the fact that he needed to do more because there were a few times in my review and the end of the theory reaction. There were a few times.
Starting point is 00:27:22 That's literally the same thing that happened in the second one. Like four times. Like four or five times. But I like being there. If you don't like being there in general, like John, you know, like it's going to hurt you.
Starting point is 00:27:33 You gotta give me more. I like being in that world. Yeah, and how great and the villain, she was so good and I wish they did more with her. Yeah, they did so much more. Anyway. What's up with you guys all thinking? And I don't know if you two are in this camp, but that she's like mega hot. Have you guys been seeing?
Starting point is 00:27:48 Everybody thinks that this villain is like the hottest, hottest, hottest person ever. Not the actor, the actual villain. I haven't even, I like the way she moved. It's like a just a rabbit moment. Yeah. She's sexy avatar for sure. Yeah, yeah. You know, I saw a good point, though.
Starting point is 00:28:04 The whole internet, Greg, Alba, like, everybody. Yeah, yeah, I could see it. I can't see it. What's funny, what's funny is I saw some, I can't remember who did it. So I did some tweet. But I agreed with this point when I saw it. It's like, you know, the movie, the series might have been called like Pandora because it's really not about avatars anymore.
Starting point is 00:28:22 It's more about the Navar. You know, it's not really about avatars anymore. But I mean, I guess, you know, that was the name. When it was, it was relevant to the first movie. but nonetheless, I think it's, the reason why it still has a shot to keep building, I don't know if it's going to hit two billion, though. It's not going to hit two billion. I don't, I don't disagree.
Starting point is 00:28:41 But here's the other question. Will Zootopia beat it in the long run? Because that wasn't even a thought. That's a fair point because Utopia's already eclipsed what the first one did. The first one tapped out at just over a billion. This was already at 1.2 in way less time, which is amazing. And I know you said $19 million for the house made. That's great.
Starting point is 00:29:00 But it was made for $35. That's going to be another flop for Sydney. Another flop? Oh, yeah. Because it's not going to do two and a half times. No way. I think this was its weekend to come and make money. And then it's going to slowly fall away.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Zootopia is going to keep going. We're about to enter, as you guys said, the Christmas season, a lot of people have some days off. They're going to take their kids multiple times to see this movie. To see what Zootopia. Zootopia, too, yes. I think it has a real good shot at beating Avatar. And I would not have said that.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Two months ago. Same. Do you think Disney's plan with the Marvel trailers, the Doomsday trailers, was more now about Avatar's performance and wanting to boost Avatar sales because they were reading the T-wees? Yeah. I think that's a fair point, boxing. Yeah, it's a great question. I think so, too. You know, these studios, I know a lot of people sitting behind their computers like to think studios are stupid, but there's a lot of really smart people working in those executive slots. And I'm not trying to show or kiss ass. It's true. And they do a lot of intubes. internal testing that we never hear about for their stuff. And so that usually dictates the moves they make in promoting a movie.
Starting point is 00:30:06 And I think they felt as well that there was a little bit of less, as Roxie said earlier, they could tell there was a little less interest for this movie than there was for the second one. So you want to boost up interest and help Marvel get a little more interest as well by putting them in the theater, those trailers. Yeah, I think that the Marvel, maybe so. I think it was a great question by Roxie. I think that, you know, you have some kind of maybe like, we didn't think that avatar needed it.
Starting point is 00:30:32 We didn't think that you know, but I still think it was an absolute mistake to put it. I mean, the trailer has been, I mean, even I'm scrolling through freaking Instagram now. It's popping up on Instagram and I'm not even like, ah, get it out of here. It's, and everybody knows what it is. It was so stupid to do it, but it's, it's out there. I mean, it's got, it got leaked. It's everywhere. Now, how many trailers did they actually put out there?
Starting point is 00:30:53 Was it only one? Or they said four. every week. So it's supposed to be... Four will be next week. And then doom after that, I think, and then a big one after that. Okay. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:31:05 I think it's just very... And when I say they said, I actually don't know that they said that. That's what we've heard. I don't know if they've clarified yet. No, no, but I know what you're saying. I know what you're saying, but that's the word on the street. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:19 That's going to happen. So, well, the box office in general, the other reason, though, that before I call the Sydney Sweeney movie a flop. The reason why, and normally, John, I would agree with you that, okay, a potential flop, a potential flop. But normally I would agree with you and I'd be on the same page and I'd, you know, if this was a normal week and I would say, okay, you said it what? It costs 35 million to make? 35 minutes of me. And it made 20, whatever, 22, whatever, 19, okay. Did either of you see it? No, not yet. But what I would say to John in that normally,
Starting point is 00:31:47 I'd be like, yeah, I think you're right. It's going to, because week two, we're going to have a drop off. It's probably going to make like $8 million, you know, $7 million in week two. And then you're going to maybe if you're lucky, you're going to make, you'll make the production budget back, right? The reason why I think it's got a shot to make more, because of the release date of when it came out, people go to the movies during Christmas week. Sure. Go to the movies and the numbers and the drop-offs are significantly lower going into week two when they release it, because people like to go to the movies on Christmas.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Yeah. You're right. I mean, was it the greatest showman, made all that money during December when it didn't start out that strongly because people like one of the movies and being entertained. To further your point, though, Christian, this is one of those movies where I actually think word of mouth is very important because I had absolutely zero interest in this movie. And then everybody I know who's seen it has come out. And so the exact same thing was, which is, it's actually surprisingly pretty good.
Starting point is 00:32:42 And now I'm like, I kind of want to see this. Not to mention that it's in the 70s on Rotten Tomato right now for the tomato meter, but it's a 92% on the popcorn meter. I kind of think that people are surprised with how much they're liking this movie. I would go see this. Right. And I think that that's a good, that's a great, great call. Sometimes if you're like, I don't know, look, here's another one.
Starting point is 00:33:04 So I purposely missed, I've missed about four screenings. I missed the screening for this. I missed the screening for SpongeBob. I missed the screening for the new Anaconda movie. And that's a movie that I'm also hearing is real fun. Why did I miss the screenings for everyone too? because I want to make sure during my break, I have, I spend time with my family. I don't want to get sick last year.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Everybody got sick. I was going into the city a lot. I was going on the subway. I'm pretty sure I brought home the norovirus. I didn't want to do it again. So I've been very. I just did the same thing, Christian, where I was just sick for the whole week. And yeah, it was brutal.
Starting point is 00:33:41 I'm just trying. I'm just trying to protect myself and the family for now. And I'll catch up anything. And the beauty is now I do all these reactions with Sam. Here's more movies that I can watch with her. and Ming and Tina and Steph and Winston and Chris and everybody else too. So anyway, so I think that when you look at the numbers here, I think we're going to see a boost. Let's come back next or next week, John, when you're hosting, that's what I'll be curious about, right?
Starting point is 00:34:09 Like, if this movie, the Ciny Sweeney one does like $4 million on week two during the holiday break, then I think your point's valid. If it does a lower drop off, it might still have a chance. to make a little money. I mean, Jeff and I went back and forth on this on the hot mic because he thought this was going to be a box office success. And I, he's like, it's a well-known book and author and all this stuff. I'd never heard of this person or this book. And to be fair, I'm not really audience. This is the first I've heard that it is a book. There you go. So I'm, I've kept feeling that it wasn't, I didn't sense any buzz for this at all. And I think that's why they released all
Starting point is 00:34:47 those clips of people reacting to the movie in the theater, that's usually to me a sign that they don't have a lot of confidence in the film. And so I'm not surprised by the number. And I think it will be like five or six next week. I don't think because we've got, as you said, Anaconda's coming. A lot of people love Jack Black and Paul Rudd. And people want to have fun and laugh. And that seems like when you can bring your teenage kids to plus Zootopia, plus avatar. There's just too much there that I think the housemaid will will eke out a certain fan base, but it won't be a massive four quadrant fan base. And I think that's going to hurt it during Christmas season. That's what it feels like to me. I'm curious about it. David, David is what
Starting point is 00:35:28 people should be talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because the producer of that film came out and said that, you know, he accused theaters or Disney of removing screenings. And I'm like, just let the movie see if it catches an audience. And 22 million is pretty amazing. So what's this guy going to say now? Like, to me, this was where you got to let you know. He's going to say we could have made 42 million. That's what he's going to say. You're 100% right. Yeah. But like to accuse Disney of removing screenings is just like utter, it's like child's point.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Yeah. As far as JV. Talk. But I mean, yeah, but you're right, though. That is, that is the big story. The fact you hit $22 million. What will it make on week two that? And even the fact that Zootopia was in fifth place with $15 million.
Starting point is 00:36:06 It was a good weekend for the box office in general. Yeah, yeah. Like those are solid numbers. Week two is going to be very interesting because, so Anaconda is the only one that comes out this week? I think. Oh, and Marty Supreme. Oh, that goes wide. Which all three of us saw, Roxy, did you see it when yet?
Starting point is 00:36:22 No, I haven't seen it. I haven't seen anything. I have not seen anything. Other than the reactions on real rejects, those are the movies. Yeah, but those are old. They put me on old movies. I'm so lame this year. I don't even know how to watch the movies. Like, I feel like my grandma sometimes where I'm just like, where are the movies.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Where are they? The movies that are nominated. Amazon. Amazon Prime video is your best friend. And when it comes to that stuff, I mean, if you're not, you're 25 fucking dollars. I know. Well, it depends if it depends on which ones, you know, you're looking at.
Starting point is 00:36:57 Like I would, what I would suggest doing, even if, you know, not part of it, like, right. So the Critics Choice Awards, as I said, the nominations came out for that one. What I would do with At Rocks is look at the nominations for those. See which one. So did you see one battle after another? You saw that. Yes, I did see that. So they're all on HBO Max now.
Starting point is 00:37:14 Yes. So I would. Well, I saw it. So that's the one. My point is, though, there were a lot of those movies that are still that are available that you can watch. Like, like, Hamnet, I'm sure you'd be able to watch, right? Like somewhere. Let me see.
Starting point is 00:37:29 You got to still pay for that one. Do you still have to pay for that one? Yeah. I was invited to the premiere of that. Did I go? No. Am I in a idiot? Yes.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Okay. I'll run these down real quick, Chris. Bagonia. Bagonia is on peacock. Okay. Love that. F1 is now an Apple TV. Love that.
Starting point is 00:37:47 Frankenstein's on Netflix He's on Prime Video Wait, which one? Which one? Hella. Yeah, but that wasn't nominated for Best Picture. No, but it's in contention.
Starting point is 00:37:58 Oh, you're just going in general. These are Oscar possibilities. Jay Kelly is on Netflix now officially. You can watch Newvel Vague, Sinners, Story Baby. I didn't even know the word we just said. What is New Velvay?
Starting point is 00:38:12 New Velvig is the Richard Linkletter one, where he's doing a black and white version of Breast. Uh, H. Sorry, Baby is on Netflix. Train Dreams is on Netflix. Knives Out is on Netflix. Weapons is on HBO Mac. So those are all that are available now to stream. But the, of course, the most recent ones, you have to go.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Yeah, you know. Talk TV to me, because I'll just never, I know, a Best Picture nominee is nominated for the critics' choice. I've seen Bagonia. I've seen one battle after another. I've seen sinners and I've seen Wicked. Okay. Four of ten.
Starting point is 00:38:42 I never go into these, having seen four of ten. Look, here's the thing. I actually voted today because I'm a vote after the show. Because I saw everything. And it was the first time when I was like, you know, and I made sure because last year audience, rightfully so I was like, hey, you didn't see all of it. I said, yeah, I saw a majority. I'm like, yeah, but you're the one calling out the Oscar people saying this.
Starting point is 00:39:01 You're right. So I'm going to make sure I'm going to make it a purpose to see everything. And so I saw everything, voted on everything. Is this taboo for me to ask you what you voted for? I mean, you can ask me. I'm not going to tell you all the way through. But I'll tell you that, you know, it was my big political as a show gets. I know. My biggest battle
Starting point is 00:39:19 was for Best Actor. Because you wanted to give it to Timothy Salome. I went between Salome and I'll tell you that. I won't tell you who I voted for, but I'll tell you between the two of them. That's where I was best actress was, I mean, that, that'll tell you because it's a shoe, it's a shoeing. You bet on any Oscars or anything else to it's what is,
Starting point is 00:39:41 what's her face? Jesse Buckley. Thank you. Jesse Buckley. For Hamnet. I will tell you this. When I go to the Critics Choice Awards, when I go to them physically, I say to myself, I usually pick out like two people that I want to make sure that I say something to when I'm there. I did that for when Paul Giammati was up for his idea.
Starting point is 00:40:03 I was going to talk to Giumadi about UAPs, and that's exactly what I did. But I wanted to talk to Ruffalo about his performance and who is it, poor things. And I did that. this year, Jesse Buckley will be the one that I make sure. Because what I want to tell her, I think this is one of the strongest performances I have seen in 25, 30 years. Do you guys know her well? No. Oh, I know her.
Starting point is 00:40:28 I know her resume well. Yeah. I've been calling her forever. I didn't. And I will tell you, I think this is as, not maybe as good, but in the same conversation as there will be blood for Daniel Day Lewis. I think it is that good of a performance. I think it is one of the most powerful, real emotional performances I have seen in my, definitely in my career since doing this. It was, and I said, I was, I was sick at the time and I was texting with John.
Starting point is 00:40:57 And I'm like, this movie is, is crazy, good. And she's so good. He's like, yeah, she's, she's next level. She did a movie a couple years ago called Fingernails that I couldn't shut the F-op about. Do you guys remember that movie? but all fingernails. It was the most, like, effed up, disturbing.
Starting point is 00:41:15 It was her, Rism Ed, Jeremy Allen White, and it went under, nobody watched it, which was such a bummer. It was an Apple movie. And it was, she is,
Starting point is 00:41:25 I've been following her for way, way, way, way longer than that. She was in Fargo. She was in, I'm thinking of ending things, which she was excellent.
Starting point is 00:41:31 And like, just so, she was so brilliant. But she has one of those faces that, I feel like kind of people forget about her. Like, you saw her Christian and,
Starting point is 00:41:41 Chernobyl but you don't remember her. I didn't watch Chernobyl. Oh. Oh. I know. That should be a reaction Brian. That is such a great series. Yeah, yeah. You both Chernobyl? I think I watched for your first episode maybe. Incredible. But no. Full of Brits. Full of great British actor. Yeah, yeah. How out of you. Yeah. She's... Well, then you didn't see her in Chernobyl. No, she's really good. I have like an earache. I don't like it. Yeah, I've, I've been watching her since taboo, the Tom Hardy series, which is amazing.
Starting point is 00:42:11 If you guys haven't seen Taboo with Tom Hardy and he's in love with his sister and Una Chaplin, the villain from Iron Ash is the sister that he goes toe to toe with. I watched that show. Years ago, though, it was only one season, right? Yeah, only one season. I think it's on FX or who.
Starting point is 00:42:31 Yeah, yeah. We have covered a whole bunch of different things here too. And I love it. And I want to ask you guys real quick about what you think about the overall box office. And do you think that there will be some big winners next week? Will Avatar get a chance to keep on building? What say you? Put your thoughts in it. Let us know. All right. We got about two more stories I think we're going to cover here before we move on to your questions. And this one is the one in a look. We were going to, yes, I know what our main topic
Starting point is 00:43:04 is and we'll probably be our last one. But we got to talk about this. So, as As I said, Sam was coming in today, and we were going to watch Game of Thrones. We did. But if you were following this channel, you know that I just introduced Sam to Christopher Nolan's movie. She had never seen him before. And I said, we got to react to this trailer together. And that's exactly what we did. The teaser trailer for The Odyssey came out.
Starting point is 00:43:30 And so following its release in cinema this past weekend, Universal Pictures has debuted the full teaser for The Odyssey. This is neither the year before teaser from back. in July, nor the 5.5 minute prolog. Did anybody see that on IMAX screens of Avatar? I haven't seen that yet, no. I want to hear anybody has seen it. I know. That's almost, see, I would rather go in for that
Starting point is 00:43:52 than the teasers for Dumes and not for lack of interest on Dube's Day. It's just, because to me, a 5.5 minute prolog is something, I don't want to see that leaked on the internet. I think that should be in the theaters. I haven't watched this teaser. Should I mute myself and watch it? Yes. Rather, the official
Starting point is 00:44:07 teaser trailer that aired with more regular avatar fire and ass screenings. And before you start getting on Roxy, she didn't have this length in the, in the stories. Roxy didn't do anything wrong today. She was totally in the right. The film tells the story of Odysseus,
Starting point is 00:44:21 King of Ethaca, and his perilous journey home after the Trojan War, exploring themselves on heroism, loyalty, cunning, and the struggle against divine will. It includes iconic episodes like his encounters with the Cyclops, the sirens and the witch goddess Circe, culminating in his reunion with his wife, Nellope. Matt Damon, Tom Holliman, the name's gone on.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Nolan shot over 2 million feet of film across a 91 shoot using a whole new IMAX technology. The first major studio featured to be shot entirely in the format comes out July 17. As Roxy is watching this, John, I'll let her, she's, we'll do this until she's ready. Roxy, just give me, just wave when you're ready. This is, I'm going to spoil it. This is my number one most anticipated movie. There's nothing that's going to, to throw this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:08 I mean, listen, Doomsday. Wait, wait, doomsday is in two years, right? So Spider-Man? No, Doomstays next year. Who's the next year? Yeah, both next year. Yeah, I'd have to say, I mean, Odyssey I would put above Spider-Man and Doomsday, only because it's a new director for Spider-Man with Descendant Daniel Cretton.
Starting point is 00:45:25 And with Doom's Day, we don't know what we're going to get with all the reports behind the scenes. So this one looks like a slam dunk, incredibly epic as fuck approach to this story. and just the minute and 45 seconds we got from this trailer just teased how incredible this film was going to look and be and so this made me want to go see the six minute thing which I might drive up to Irvine to do sometime this week I cannot wait dude the scale of this thing it was like it was so it's everything that I thought that it would be
Starting point is 00:45:56 it wasn't surprised and how epic it looked but it didn't mean I wasn't in awe of it I was completely in awe of it I can't I mean this is the type of thing you gotta see this in the year I mean, you have to. People are saying Dune 3. That might hit number two for me. It's just, I, the way that I ask myself these questions, like in the same thing I said, it's Sam and Roxy's back.
Starting point is 00:46:20 So it's the same scale that I, you know, what I'll say, I put myself in these positions, John, I'll say, okay. So if you can only go into a theater and you're only allowed one movie, do you walk into Odyssey or do you walk into Odyssey or do you walk? into Dune, I walk into Odyssey. And I asked myself the same question, you're walking to Dune 3 or you're walking to Dune 3, or you're walking into Dune 3. Right now, but I still haven't seen a trailer for either one of them, so that could change. But I did see the trailer for this.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Roxy, you just watched the trailer, the teaser. Are you as hyped up as me and John? Or let's see what happens? Oh, my God. Yeah, obviously. I mean, this is the kind of movie that you hear all the players and the components and you're like, oh, this is going to be epic. And then you see the trailer and you're like, I mean, it's, it's going to, be epic. I would be so shocked if this movie is not good. I mean, I think we would all be just shocked because it's kind of a slam dunk across the board. The movie's going to be amazing. I have no question. If this movie is not amazing, it's the biggest waste of all time. Like, it's just going to be
Starting point is 00:47:24 so good. I don't really feel like we can overhype it. Like, what's bigger than the Odyssey done by Christopher Nolan? With the cast, with the cast that's in it. It's like. It's not featured in this trailer, which I loved. It's about the stories. I am a little curious about the choice for this to come out in the summertime. It doesn't feel like a summer movie to me. And I think it's, it's more like a November, December movie to you? It really does. And obviously I think that makes it smart that they're doing this. But you watch that trailer and you're like, this is a Thanksgiving or Christmas, probably Christmas release. Sure. So he's done that before. Right. And he famously did it first with Inception.
Starting point is 00:48:06 because what Nolan did, and one of the reason I love him so much as a filmmaker, like traditionally, some are movies and are the big popcorn blockbuster, Armaged type of movies where not necessarily not to dumb down the audience, but like, you know, sometimes we just like to go and it's, they don't like to be challenged intellectual, right? It's just like, okay, no one said, I don't think that's true. Watch this, and he puts Inception out and it crushes. Totally. It is a classic Nolan move.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Just sometimes I feel like his movies are a little more Cerebral. Like even something like a, even something like a, what was it, Tenet. Oppenheimer was in the summer of rocks. Yeah, Upheimer was July 11th. Yeah, yeah, it's just interesting.
Starting point is 00:48:54 It's just interesting. They don't feel like that. But I think it's smart. No, because you know why you also can get away with it, Don't John, is because he is the star of the movie. Yeah, I think he's one of those. Rarities. He's a one of one. There are certain filmmakers that find a way to rise above the din and people go with them. Even though their films might be a little more intellectual, which, I mean, how many people thought that a film about a 1940s nuclear scientist would get almost a billion dollars in the themes? Yes, of course, Barbie helped. But this movie stands on its own for what it is.
Starting point is 00:49:30 And no one, I don't think anyone thought it was going to make close to a billion dollars. and the fact that it did, speaks to the fact that there are audiences who will come to this kind of stuff because he entertains them while telling them a thought-provoking story. And not a lot of filmmakers can do that quite as well as Nolan does anymore and get the mass
Starting point is 00:49:48 appeal that he seems to be able to get. And so I'm... And I think him doing the Dark Night really helps people like who would normally maybe not go to see his stuff, be like, well, I want to try this out because his Batman's were amazing. Yeah, Roxie, let me ask you a question. When do you think, because you'd probably
Starting point is 00:50:03 put this, I mean, this is a bigger movie in scale overall because Nolan and everything too, but it's in the same kind of genre of like, say like a gladiator right? Like, when do you, like the Ridley Scott Gladiator, when do you think that movie came out? That just feels more summer to me than this does because it
Starting point is 00:50:23 it's like a, this is an aft up way, it's more of a blockbuster. It's more of a popcorny movie than this is. Gladiator one do you think is more popcorn? To me, to me. Okay. But I've also already seen it. I haven't seen this movie. So I don't know. Even in the color palette,
Starting point is 00:50:41 like this movie was, I mean, this movie is in the dark. Yeah. You're right for what we've seen so far. Yeah, for what we've seen so far. And I'm not saying that's going to be what it is. Again, I can't be clear enough about this. I think it's a really good move.
Starting point is 00:50:54 It's just interesting when it says this summer. And like this summer, the Odyssey, that's wild. This summer. Yeah, it's going to be an interesting summer for sure. and I'm this is sign me up for this one so I ask you guys what do you think about the odyssey you in out don't cur you're there opening day put your thoughts in there let us know are you not entertained we're going to find out all right the other thing um we're going to figure out here is who thank you john is cast i'm saying this right now if you had been my manager
Starting point is 00:51:31 for the last season of the show now would have had you do all the promos in that exit all Thank you. Thank you. We found out over the weekend. Oh, you know what? Actually, I want to switch. I was going to do the brainiac thing, but I'd be remiss. I'd be mad at myself if I didn't do this. So I've been, we watched Welcome to Derry and I've been on like a Stephen King thing this whole year. And so one of the reactions that I did was it chapter one and it chapter two and my daughter has become a big it fan and everything too and really sad news um coming out yesterday and james um ransom who was in it chapter one chapter two rather playing the role of eddie uh has passed away at
Starting point is 00:52:21 46 years old and very very sad news my daughter it was it broke my heart this morning because my daughter um uh brought it up to me in the car and i didn't even really want her to know about it but she pays attention to it how did she know about it christian You know, she scrolled up on her feed or whatever maybe she follows its, its sights and everything too. She's, you know, she's very much in it. But actor James Ranson, fame for his role is the annoying Chester Zyggy Zobatka in the second season. M. H.P.O.S. Claim, The Wire has passed away.
Starting point is 00:52:50 The actor was 46 and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner indicates by suicide. In Horton, 79, Baltimore, he landed his first credits in the American astronaut before breaking through Larry Clark controversial 2002 film Ken Park as a sadistic adolescent a year later. His role as the immature as Ziggy became one of the most notable characters in the wire, though Ranssen scored good notices for his performance. He steadily worked ever since with roles in Scott Derrickson's Sinister and the Black Phone. Spike Lee's inside man, Red Hook Summer, Old Boy, Ditto Montel. That's right. He was the brother in Black Phone.
Starting point is 00:53:28 The son of no one, Empire State, High West, and Valley, In the Valley of Violence, Paul Hagan's the next three days, and the prom night remake. Some of his most notable roles included playing the adult Eddie in It, Chapter 2, and as a Pimp and Sean Baker's Tangerly. His TV credits were extensive, too. The actor is sticking in HBO for multiple series, including Generation Kill, How to Make It in America, Mosaic, Trim, as well as AMC's low winter sun, Amazon's Bosch, Hulu's, the first, and CPS's team SEAL's final works run a cameo on Blackphone 2 and a guest role on Peacock's poker face. Roxy, there's a lot of TV credits here, so I'm assuming you're really familiar with it. Yeah. This is horrible.
Starting point is 00:54:07 Horrible. Horrible. And like, in the worst way that I could verbalize something, so give me grace, guys. But it's like every time that you see something like this and you read the headline that somebody's passed, it's like a very strange feeling to be praying for disease because you're like, please don't let this be what I think it is. He's so young. There's usually only one kind of culprit for this. Right. And you see, you know, he's married with two kids and it is you, yeah, you just like hope that we do the best we can as a society and as individuals to try and support as many people as we can and help as many people as we can, not saying that anybody could have made any difference here, but just you hear this and you're just like, fuck, fuck.
Starting point is 00:54:52 I know. It's horrible. John, you and I speak about it all the time. You speak about it on your shows all the time, how, you know, mental health. health and crisis in general. People, if you are, how important is to speak to people, this is, this is devastating. Yeah, I mean, you know, people know my story almost took my life in 2016 and was very close to happening. But you find your way out when you can, but I always describe mental health as a battlefield. And you never know who's going to go down in a battle.
Starting point is 00:55:26 someone could look like they've got all the stuff going on and they've handled it. They've come to terms with it. And then out of nowhere, something triggers something. And they go right down into the wormhole and sadly take their lives. And I hope no one judges him for this. I hope no one comes after this. Those of you who don't understand mental health don't struggle with mental health. You have no idea what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:55:47 It is absolutely something that is always around the corner and you have to be vigilant in how you deal with it. And sometimes you just can't find your way out. and you pray for those people and you pray for their families. The fact that he did it at his house in his garage, hanging himself, I think is really heartbreaking. But clearly he was dealing with a lot in what he was going through. And it came out a few years ago that he had admitted that he was sexually abused as a high school kid by one of his teachers. And that became a big deal as well in his life.
Starting point is 00:56:15 And so there's a lot of things people struggle with. You just don't know no matter how successful they are, no how much iconic they are in their roles. And, you know, the lady outlaw is a massive wire fan. She is like the show I needed to watch in order to be her boyfriend or her partner. And I loved the show. And Ziggy was one of her favorite characters, bar none because of James Ransom's performance. And so she was pretty heartbroken about this like she was when Lance Hendrix passed.
Starting point is 00:56:41 And so, you know, these are great actors that are part of that show. And he did so many things. And it's just, it's sad. But yes, but always create grace to accept the decision these people have made. I know some people like to judge, and I want to make it really clear, you have no idea if you've never gone through it. And it's about honoring the fact that they fought for as long as they could until they sadly succumbed. But, you know, respect that and honor that in their memory for God's sakes. Very well said.
Starting point is 00:57:11 Both you guys. Thank you. And as Roxy mentioned, the guy, his family. And I hate saying the cliche, you know, thoughts and pressure for his family and so, but I mean it. It's like I, yeah, you think about them and you hope, you hope that they can, you know, fight through it. So, again, his wife made a beautiful post. I don't know. No, I didn't see it.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Of the two of them. And he's like holding her pregnant belly. So a picture from the past. And yeah, she said, I told you I've loved you a thousand times before and I know I will love you again. And there's, there's more more to it. But you guys go check that out. You should check it out. But, I mean, that's horrible.
Starting point is 00:57:53 So again, gone too soon and nothing but, nothing but love for him. It's a tough season for everybody. It is. It's a good time to reach out to everybody that you love and just remind them that you love them. And yeah, just the holidays fucking, they're great. It's tough. It's fucking suck. And like, yeah, just especially if you have lonely thoughts during the regular year,
Starting point is 00:58:16 they're definitely on 10 in the holidays. So, yeah. Well, yeah, again, thank you. everybody who is being respectful in the comments and everything too. No easy transition ever. So we're just going to just straight up like we talked about it. In the beginning, this is what the headline is. Over the weekend, I saw that, you know, because Luke had told me,
Starting point is 00:58:40 he said, listen, because we're going to start making the shows. We're going to start scheduling them out the night before instead of the night in the, instead of the morning, we're going to start scheduling the night before. So he's like, well, you know, what do you think we should, we should lead with? And he sent me a couple stories. And one of them was the fact that Brainiac was a major, major role in Manna Tomorrow. It's, it's been cast. We have our brain.
Starting point is 00:59:04 And we thought it was going to be like a major, major, no name. At least a lot of us did. I don't know if John felt that way, but I know a lot of us did. Roxy and I certainly did. Now, this is not saying we need a major name. We just need somebody who's going to bring some gravitas, as John Roker says, to the role. So we've got ourselves a brainiac. And that is Lars Eddinger is now Brainiac in Man of Tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:59:34 DC Studios co-CEO. James Gunn officially confirmed that German actor Lars Edinger has been cast as Brainiac in the upcoming Man of Tomorrow film. Actor is known in his roles like Babylon Berlin and all the light we cannot see and has a few U.S. credits to his name, including Dumbo. I don't know if you want to include that one. and a small part in the just-released Jay Kelly. He was good in Jay Kelly. He was small. He was a German biker. Yes, he was good.
Starting point is 00:59:59 He was the one that stole the thing, right, John? Mm-hmm. In his posting, Gunn says, in our worldwide search in Brainiac in Manor tomorrow, Lars rose to the top. Welcome to the DCU. More famous names like Matt Smith, Clay Spong, and Sam Rockwell were rumored to be in the running for the role
Starting point is 01:00:15 until Gun debunk those claims. Gun writes and directs the film, which will see the return of David Cornswet as Clark Kent, Nicholas Holt is Lex, Rachel Brosnan's lowest, Isabella Merced as Kendra slash Hawkgirl and Frank Grohl's Rick Flagg, Sr. Who else might appear on clear recent rumors suggest that Wonder Woman might make her debut in the film?
Starting point is 01:00:35 All right, let's talk about all of that. Roxy? Yeah. I love this. Oh, I'm so happy for you. I love this. And I love this choice for a lot of different reasons. One, I'm not as familiar with Lars' work,
Starting point is 01:00:49 but I'll tell you that from what I saw him in in Jay Kelly, smaller role, but I thought he shined. Like I said to John, oh, he's the guy, yeah, he did this. I remember he stood out. He stood out to me. What I like about it is that it also shows get out of the mentality that you got to put well-known, big name actors in everything. Let's go with some, if it's brainiac and he's in a different outfit or everything,
Starting point is 01:01:15 and you got someone who can shine in the performance and you can make this guy a name, then do that. I see that my counterpart in the Santa Claus hat doesn't agree, but I'm not talking to him yet. Okay. I'm talking to you. What do you think? Well, my favorite thing is the fact that we know how this man got this part.
Starting point is 01:01:36 I don't, I haven't read how he got the part, but all signs point to he auditioned his face off for it. Right. Because this clearly doesn't give straight offer. I always love that because you know what usually happens, when you had to audition your pants off for a part, you're usually perfect for the part.
Starting point is 01:01:54 Right. So I'm with you, Christian, where I very much so believe that this was going to be a name. When people were dream casting, they were casting a lot of big people in their head, thinking that David Corencewe, although now is more of a household name
Starting point is 01:02:10 because he obviously is our Superman, he was not a big star going into it. Rachel Brosnahan, obviously coming from the TV world, but we know that this is something that James Gunn likes, to do, that he is willing to take chances on people and likes to pick the best people for the roles. Not saying that he had 100% of the say in this, but you guys know what I mean. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:34 So this was exciting for me. Then I looked at his IMDB and I was kind of surprised because I've seen a ton of stuff he's been in. And I don't know him. So I haven't seen Jay Kelly yet, right? No, I haven't. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:46 But I have seen all the light you cannot see. And I have seen, there's another thing that he did that I was like, oh, yeah, all the light we cannot see, I watched. There was something else, too. But anyway, I should go watch Jay Kelly. I bet he's really good. Now, just visually speaking for a second. Yes. I think he's a really good fit.
Starting point is 01:03:12 I think he's a really good fit. I wonder kind of what version. This confirmed that we have a brain. which is really exciting for DC fans. We already saw on the script there was that brain that gun posted, but some people still thought that might be a bait and switch. So the confirmation of Brainiac, it being an unknown who probably auditioned his pants off,
Starting point is 01:03:34 the way that he looks, which he's probably going to be extremely altered in his appearance, regardless. Okay, so I'm talking to somebody who's like grinning and somebody who's growling. I'm listening to you and I'm agreeing with you. I'm not saying anything. No, I know. I'm grinning because I'm looking at,
Starting point is 01:03:53 John reminds me right now of my pug when he's just waiting to attack food. And I'm not attacking anything. I don't think attacking. Come at, come back, bro. What are we got?
Starting point is 01:04:05 He's just very, he's waiting. He's waiting because I feel like he's going to be in a completely different side here. Because I agree with you, Roxy, everything he said. But John,
Starting point is 01:04:16 am I wrong? Do you feel completely different or you are in the Well, no, I think everything you both said is very beautiful and commendable. However, and listen, and I want to make it clear, it's not a personal attack, so I want to make it clear. But I don't think any of them. Either of you. Either of you. I don't think any of that happened that you guys are talking about.
Starting point is 01:04:41 What I think, admissioned? Let me clarify. What I want to make clear is like, you think people are passing on the roll? This, well, let me, again, let me get to it. Sorry, sorry, sorry. This idea, don't get me started in me. Exactly, yes, yes. This idea that people fabricated names out of thin air is utter nonsense, okay?
Starting point is 01:05:06 There are quite a few people who work in this business of scooping and journalism, and it is journalism, who cultivate sources that are close to these studios and to these creatives. No matter what James Gunn wants you to believe that somehow he runs. I have no idea what you're talking about right now. I'm getting there. Fort Knox that he, because James Gunn likes to say all these, don't listen to the scoopers, don't listen. Just listen to me, which very Trumpian. But like this is the thing that you look at when you look at this situation is like, what's the truth? How is Matt Reeves getting Scarlett Johansson and possibly Brad Pitt
Starting point is 01:05:43 and other, which has been debunked, but other people, a such high note. and high name. And I think this is what the truth is, that WB is only giving a certain budget to James Gunn and giving a bigger budget to Matt Reeves. And if you look at them out, the Batman made and look at them out the Superman made, that makes sense to me. And so, yes, do I like the corn and sweat casting and the Brazening casting? Yes, but they also came in really cheap because they're TV actors or not that well known. Lars Aidinger, I think is how his name is in German. your Nicholas Holt Again, Nicholas Holt
Starting point is 01:06:19 Show me the last film he put butts in seats for And he was a thing He was a more well-known name He was a high-price talent. He's not a celebrity A-list like massive Trump Cruz Is a difference. He's not Scarlett Johansson. Right. And so you look at the situation. He's on his way. He's trying to get there.
Starting point is 01:06:33 So you do think that James Gunn wants a Scarlett Johansen Fame level actress or actor and can't get it? Here's my belief. I think he wanted Batista and they couldn't afford him. I think he, there's all those rumors about Batista for peacemaker. Remember that? That's big.
Starting point is 01:06:51 And Batista, I wish we could have worked it out. He was going to, it wasn't going to be seen up. I'm going to push back on that. I'll feel free to push back. What I'm allowed to finish my point? When you're done. Batista was going to be peacemaker and they couldn't work out the deal. It was not going to be seen it.
Starting point is 01:07:04 And it became seen up because they couldn't work out the deal. Batista has a high price now because of the success of the gardens of the galaxy movies. And yes, their buddies and their friends are going to hang out and have beer. It doesn't mean you don't got to meet my quote. And so this is business. It's not personal. It's business. And so I think in the end, they're only giving a certain amount of money to James.
Starting point is 01:07:23 Look at Mattias Schoenarts. Who the hell knows who Mattias Schoenertz? There's not that many people. Only if you're in the film bubble. But what does the big criticism people have of the test screenings? He's not that exciting as the villain. That's the big thing coming out. And Lars Edinger is not going to make people go, oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:07:39 So to me, I think he went in a certain direction that fit the budget he was allowed to do. He brings in a very talented, strong actor, but not that well known. But I do believe that Rockwell and these other names were absolutely in contention. And for him to tweet out, I don't even think they auditioned. You would know they auditioned. So don't be like, I don't think they're. Okay.
Starting point is 01:08:01 Did they not? I don't know. Come on, James. Like this is kind of dishonest shit that drives me nuts, man. Regardless of how you feel about how we got here, which I kind of like wholeheartedly disagree with, but you're obviously allowed to have your thoughts on. it. But regardless of that, how do you feel about this casting? How do I feel about this casting? I'm fine with it, but I'm not like excited by it.
Starting point is 01:08:26 And it's sad because I want to be excited. Right. Well, I've seen him. I don't, but like you, Roxy, I've seen him and stuff and he never really stood out. When they said his name, I looked at it. I was like, oh yeah, a solid actor, good actor. But I'm not familiar with his other stuff that's international or foreign. So I don't know if he's capable of delivering really incredibly complex nuanced stuff. The thing is you want people excited. And when you go with someone who is unknown, people don't get excited. And so I think this was the perfect place for Batista or someone of a really big name to get attention on this movie and get people excited. So for me, I think this was a mistake. I understand your points. I respect your points. I like this is what we talked about
Starting point is 01:09:07 last week is that we've we've kind of been back and forth on a couple of things. Maybe I don't see a point this, I fundamentally disagree with you on most of the stuff that you just said. And one of the things, like the Batista thing, but I hear that. Wait, but the Batista thing, I don't disagree with a point that, look, you're still going to make my quote if we're doing
Starting point is 01:09:26 a movie, I'm just not going to do favors for you, pal. But the way Batista feels for James Gunn and was evident in the way that he was going to quit Guardians unless they hired him back. They couldn't get to Caprio to come in to the once upon a time in Hollywood sequel because they wouldn't meet his quote and him and
Starting point is 01:09:44 Tarantino are boys. I know that they are. Well, Tarantino's not doing the sequel. Right, but it's still a feature. It's not like a step down. But yeah, but the point is what you were making is that they were boys, not Tarantino. It was Tarantino. Maybe it's a different story. But the fact that, you know, he was, there would be more of a conversation and I think it possibly could have happened. What I really
Starting point is 01:10:08 disagree with you, though, is the fact that they need a name in brainiac in order to sell the movie. They've got this, they've got... I didn't say sell. I said, excite people. But you're exciting, look, if you're exciting the movie with a sequel for Superman, if you're going to do it regardless of how much, you know, I think you bring down the budget and you don't escalate the budget.
Starting point is 01:10:29 If like, if you, whatever you feel, like, let's say the reports are that the movie made $150 million. That's how much, that it made a profit of $150 million. Yeah, one to $150. Okay. So if you're confident and you're happy with that, right? you don't want to escalate your budget by hiring someone that you don't you're going to have him in costume you want to get a good performance in the way that roxy made that point before with rosnahan corin sweat hole you get really good actors in order to elevate it so i like this call and we seem to see i love sam rockwell i've seen sam rockwell i've seen sam rockwell in comic book movies already and i like that i don't know this guy well enough because i want him i want to see him as brainiac i don't want to see uh drax as i have questions I have more questions.
Starting point is 01:11:12 I do want to say one thing to Roxy. I think, Roxy, everything you said is probably what happened, though, in the end. That he did audition his ass off. He did earn the role. I'm not taking that away. No, I don't think you are. The bigger ones weren't in contention. Listen, I don't even, like, for lack of better words, I don't even need to spend time addressing
Starting point is 01:11:30 what you said because I said, I disagree. So that's not how I feel. And I don't think this was a budget thing. And I don't think he's being strong-armed into the way that he's doing this. but you do feel that way. And the truth is, neither of us. Okay, so maybe you know for fact. I will say I don't know for fact.
Starting point is 01:11:49 It's not what I think happened, but maybe you feel more confident about that. But I am curious, John, with your stance on that and your thoughts on that, how do you feel about Millie Alcock? Again, Millie Alcock was not that well known, right? No, no. Absolutely. I'm saying, how do you feel, like you said you want to feel excited.
Starting point is 01:12:09 Did you feel excited for Superman because of David Corn Sweat? Did you feel excited for Super Girl because of Millie Alcock? So there's been no property at D.C.'s announced so far that you felt excited for because without feeling excited for an actor, you don't feel excited for a property? For Corn Sweat, I was not that excited because I didn't know him, but he looked apart. And so I was like, okay, let's see what happens. I was more excited with Brosnahanen plays playing Lois Lane. That I was excited about because that's perfect casting.
Starting point is 01:12:35 So I was like, yes, let's see what she's got. Let's go to the next level with her. I love it. theatrical, let's go. With Mali Alcock, because I loved House of the Dragon, I was very excited when she got the cast in the film. So I was excited to see what we're going to get from her interpretation. And the trailer, I was blown away.
Starting point is 01:12:54 I saw all these people bash in the trailer. I loved her in the trailer. I thought it was great. The trailer was fantastic. I'm on board. You can take her Guardians of Galaxy's issues and toss them in the crapper. I don't care. I love the way it looked, and I think she's great.
Starting point is 01:13:05 She's going to be a fucking star. And so I think he caught her at the right. time on her come up to play this role. And this is going to be a lot of fun to see her with. So you kind of think, and she, he got Mamoa, right? This is my interpretation of what you're saying. Tell me if this is right or wrong. So you actually think that if James Gunn is being handcuffed right now with his budget, he's actually doing a really good job with the casting, with the resources he's being given? I would say, yes. I think that's totally fair to say. A hundred percent. He is picking the people and they were. But then again, we only have one.
Starting point is 01:13:39 movie. Right. You don't have enough game too. Yeah. Some people, okay. Just period. Test reactions were good, not great.
Starting point is 01:13:46 So we'll see how that movie plays hands out. And we'll see how man of tomorrow pans out. But listen, let's make it clear. Whatever my issues are with James Gunn, PR-wise and how he handles himself on social media, which I think is abhorrent. I love his movies.
Starting point is 01:13:59 Like, I want to make a good. I love his movies. And you like to know. I have Superman of 4K right here. I bought it at Black Friday. Yeah, it's interesting. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 01:14:07 All right. Listen. This is what we do in this show. we have conversations we've discussed on which more people do it. So, screaming yelling at each other. So put your thoughts in there, let us know.
Starting point is 01:14:16 What do you think about the casting? Does it make sense? Do you agree with John? Do you think that maybe they should have spent a little bit more and got somebody that's going to get people excited? Or do you say, no, listen, let's see what this guy can do. And they're going to put him in a costume. And maybe he is going to be, who was David Proust before he put in the
Starting point is 01:14:31 costume? And you didn't know James Earl Jones's voice before he was doing that. So what? You didn't know James Earl Jones. He had a couple things. Yes, he had. Dude, he was up. and coming. It's in 77.
Starting point is 01:14:41 You're still up and coming. This is, don't, okay. Just keep going. Anyway. You listen to interviews that he gave himself. Another conversation. So put your thoughts in there. Let us know. We have a lot of questions. So I got to make sure that we can get to those.
Starting point is 01:14:53 But before we do, I want to tell you guys, again, with the holidays coming up, got to tell you about Ruggiet, got a butcher box. Oh, man. My wife just sent me a picture. She's making a pot roast tonight. Holy shit. And it's from Butcher box. Woo! I'm so excited. Butcher box, Ruggiat. Here we go.

Starting point is 01:18:05 and Ruggiat, man. All right. You guys ready to try to do this? You guys are ready to try to try to do or do not to try to try. Try. I know. All right, Roxy.
Starting point is 01:18:22 That's good stuff. It's almost ironic because that is me trying. You know, like that isn't due. I know. I'm sorry. All right, listen,
Starting point is 01:18:32 we do, we do have actually right now, 81 showing 80 here, but 801. Let's go. Come on. Let's get to 200. Kind of elite behavior by R&R. Yeah. Yes. Exactly. All right, listen, the first one that isn't showing is Expedition. This is from Johnny Patricea, which starts us off.
Starting point is 01:18:50 Expedition 33 won nine awards at the game awards, but two have been revoked because of AI developers said AI was used for placeholder, older textures. Thoughts is going to happen more and more and more and more, where there's going to be more AI stuff used and more. and more people debating whether or not it was and how much. And even when you had that, what was it the one Adrian Brody one for last year? The brutalist. The brutalist AI thing that happened and all those things. There's going to be more and more of these things.
Starting point is 01:19:17 I have a very different opinion on this stuff. So what do you say, both of you guys, any opinion on it? Matt Money Smith here talking, Galpin Ford. As you know, right now, championship level offerings like employee pricing and a $500 gas car. for purchases between May 22nd all the way through May 25th. Yes, a Memorial Day celebration at a spot that's been doing business here since
Starting point is 01:19:43 1946, 80 years Galp and Ford asked for Mike Schwartz. Check out that massive thousand plus vehicle inventory at Galpinford.com. When it Hunter go Galpinner, hop off the 405 at Roscoe. Go ahead, John. Only this. I just found out about the game over the weekend, and I'm going to pick that thing up. It's sold out everywhere. Yeah, here it's good.
Starting point is 01:20:02 It's a French game. It's supposed to be amazing. But here's the thing. All of us care in our bubble, but a majority of people don't give a fuck. They just want to be entertained. And AI entertains them. And we're seeing companies now releasing two Christmas ads, McDonald's and Christmas, all, I'm sorry, McDonald's and Coke, all AI. Wow.
Starting point is 01:20:20 So these are just the last gasps that we're doing now to stem the tide. But we will be washed. We will be caught up in a tsunami of AI very, very soon. So unfortunately, that's just the truth in my opinion. Rock's got anything on that one? Yeah, it's hard to debate facts. Yeah. We're doing irreparable damage that we will not be able to be undone.
Starting point is 01:20:43 True. But how do you, how do you, you can't punch air, you can't fight tides. So it's hard to have an opinion on something that is a fact. Fair enough. All right. Mr. Boy, Yankee became a new member. Thank you. Great time to do it now.
Starting point is 01:20:58 A lot of, especially the Game of Thrones, unedited reactions will be up there. We put old school Schmo. episodes up there that aren't available. A lot of things that you guys can check out if you remember, and that's just one of many things. Gen X Kid 73. Hello there. Enjoyed Avatar, but it also lingered a little too long.
Starting point is 01:21:15 Jimmy could have trimmed 20 minutes and kept it pushing. Action scenes, Chef's Kiss, as usual, my AMCA list will be staying in rotation. Jen X, that's kind of an amazing comment that you just did, referring to him as Jimmy. That's true. And also the usage of linger. Yes.
Starting point is 01:21:31 Listen, all of it. All of it. you can't argue with with with it you really can i mean i loved it so much um however sure yeah right i like being there i love being there and i and i don't and i liked it being three hours and 15 minutes but i understand four hours longer and i would have right but but this is the difference if it was four hours longer john roka would have fallen asleep you know right you know right in the middle of it right on two out of theater reactions one at the intermission and one afterwards. Right. Exactly. Yeah, right. You wouldn't have been able to handle. All right.
Starting point is 01:22:07 Sean, what's up, Sean? Wishing the team a happy holiday season. The work you put in amazing is an absolute joy having your voices emanate through our home. Thank you, Sean. There's such a great human being. Looking forward to 2026, much love from the McCabe family. He's such a great dude. I got an opportunity to meet him and his wife at the live show. dude, and I, I've kept it to my, he gave me a really meaningful gift that I, that I hold very, and I'll tell you, John, kind of off air, kind of, but it's just like so, he's very, very huge guy. You too rocks, I thought I told you already, but I'd tell you both, but I'm just saying. Also, I love the fact that he's allowing himself to go white.
Starting point is 01:22:46 Embrace your age, my man. I know. I know. Right. You know. Good for you for being white. No, he just turned out. No, his hair.
Starting point is 01:22:54 He looks like, in that picture, he looks like, in that picture, he looks like, you looks like the most, what's it the most, I'm so glad that you're allowing yourself to be white, the people who don't get in big trouble. What's it? Distinguished gentleman, what was it? The most interesting man in the world he looks like there. Yeah, yeah. The DX Batman. Hello there.
Starting point is 01:23:10 To you as well. 86, Christian. You've got to jam. I know, I'm moving. I'm moving. Phantom Gaming became a member. Thank you. Great avatar, by the way. Yes. 86. 86. All right. Colonel Stephen Lockrow.
Starting point is 01:23:29 You guys like Black Girls? I love Black Girls. I love them. It's the only scene Leo and Sean have together in the whole movie, incredible. It is an absolutely amazing scene. It's giving Mike Kalanowski with his. What? You've missed a couple of weeks, John. Oh, my God. Really?
Starting point is 01:23:46 Oh, yeah, yeah. It's an amazing scene. That scene is, I love him. That scene is amazing. That scene is amazing. He's a, yeah. I hate the backlash against him for that performance. Like people, oh, it's not as exciting.
Starting point is 01:23:59 It's, it, Benicio did better. And I'm like, you guys are only insane. I love Benicio in that. And I came out of it going, I wish Sean Penn wasn't in the movie because I want Benzio to get, he would, if, if Sean Penn wasn't in that movie, then Benzio gets nominated, but, or wins, rather. People are confusing likeability with, with, with, 100%. You're so right. I mean, Sean Penn did.
Starting point is 01:24:19 That's not, that's such a difficult role to pull off. Dude, the walk. Pulled it. Every, he, I mean, he becomes somebody completely. It is so. This goes back. to the point. It is very hard to be a well-known person like that and not see Sean Penn. Yeah, I know. Yeah. He follows it up and says, my favorite scene in Avatar is when quarters as Jake, do you like Navi girls?
Starting point is 01:24:39 I love her. I just love it. Amazing. That's very funny. The little Yankee says, happy Odyssey Monday, fam, on a break during my promotional training, why I haven't been around. Thanks for all that you, the three you do for fandom, have a great and safe holiday. See you, 26. What a great and nice comment. Thank you. very, very much. Okay. Peter. Eklint, 2096. Did you and a kid watch Miracle in 34?
Starting point is 01:25:06 If so, what does she think? Also, thank you for all the content. Love everything. Since Trimus. Thank you, Peter. So my wife and I started watching the Richard Attenborough one, the remake. The remake. And we watched a couple scenes and then that was it. But my little one, we would try to watch. I brought it up and I got.
Starting point is 01:25:26 shot down every time. People love this movie. Didn't pass the test. But we watched Home Alone yesterday. And then we watched, we started to watch the Jim Carrey Scrooge. Oh, Christmas Carol. And then there was one thing that my little ones thought it was too creepy and we switched to Polar Express. That's what we watched yesterday. I love to you. Your little one to watch is wrestling, but says like some things are too creepy for her. It's amazing. She doesn't watch as much anymore. Oh. Yeah, I know. I know. She doesn't watch wrestling as much. Put that in your pipe. and smoke at WWE. I know. She doesn't watch as much anymore. She's like, better.
Starting point is 01:26:00 You know what she's really into? And this will be, the people will love this. So the, there's this anime show that's on Disney and it's essentially like an Allison Wonder, I'm sure Mike Vogel knows about it, but it's like it's like an Alice in Wonderland
Starting point is 01:26:16 anime show that's on Disney. She's been watching anime. And I'm like, and I just recognize now because it looks similar to demon slayer, like the art and stuff too. But yeah, she's like, she's like, waits for it to drop a new episode. And she's like, can I check the app and see this new episode? She's like, it's so, it's pretty great.
Starting point is 01:26:35 Twisted Wonderland. Thanks, Luke. Yes. Thank you. Casual Scroll. Who had the best dual twin performance in 2025? Michael B. Jordan, Robert Pattinson, Theo James, Dylan O'Brien, or Alf Anning.
Starting point is 01:26:48 I haven't seen the majority of these. I saw the first two. Yeah, what's the dual? What's the dual? You know, like Michael B. Jordan for Sinner. that I know, but what was Robert Patton's in it? Remember, it was like, oh, Mickey 17. Right, right.
Starting point is 01:27:04 So what was, Theo James? I didn't see his thing. What was that? I don't know. I don't know the last three. I obviously know who they are. I just don't know what they were. El Fanning, I would assume, from Predator.
Starting point is 01:27:14 I think Michael, Beak Jordan is being so underrated. That performance, too, so, so. He was great. He was great. Yeah. Back to what we said, just two seconds ago again. Was that, yeah. Not only did he make you forget, it was Michael
Starting point is 01:27:26 be Jordan. He made you forget it was Michael B Jordan twice in the same year. And it was subtle differences. Yes. It wasn't like it's villainous. Yeah, just so good. Yeah. Also, so Dylan O'Brien and Twinless and Theo James and the monkey. Oh, I missed. I missed.
Starting point is 01:27:42 I would say Michael B atop. But the only reason I wouldn't say, and I would have put L toe to toe with Michael B, except the twin, doesn't have enough screen time to go to toe with what Michael B does. She was really good to say to the rate. She was really good and said to her. She was really good. She was really good.
Starting point is 01:27:56 Also, the best part of Mickey 17 is Robert Patton's performing. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. He's so good in that movie. Jesus. You know, I just said. Christian, yeah, don't push us forward before you type.
Starting point is 01:28:10 Yeah. All right. Joyous Romer. May the Force be with you guys. Support for Roxy. Hey, Ella, when do you think they'll drop a trailer for Mall? Shadow Lord. I love that you doesn't ask me that.
Starting point is 01:28:19 Well, since you don't give me any support, fuck off. I don't know when it's happening. No, I don't know. Is that a Star Wars thing? Yeah. This is Star Wars thing? Wallsters. You know, Chris?
Starting point is 01:28:28 I think sometime in the spring, probably. What do you think? I don't care. There you go. That's why I didn't ask you. Yeah, that's why you didn't ask me. It's like, the only reason I cares is the Sam Whitwer. And Sam, Sam is actually, but Sam is actually executive producing it.
Starting point is 01:28:41 So you might actually get some different stuff. But it's the same time period. It's the same. I can't wait. Darth Mall again. It's just the same shit. RQMD, S&D for Veroxie and John. Have a great holiday week.
Starting point is 01:28:56 Thank you. too. Thank you. Go pal. Did Joshua's contract say the fight had to go five rounds to get paid like Tyson said. Well, we don't know if that was the, that was the rumor for Tyson. We don't know if that was the case. But I don't know, man, Joshua was swinging pretty damn hard. It wasn't pulling punches like Tyson was. Tyson was pulling punches. Christian, did you miss the Dingus one or did you read it? And I just spaced out. What was it? It's just like three up. Let me see. I'm looking from, hold on. Let me start. Ding is McNus now. I'm going to. I'm going. I'm going back down. Hold on. Is there a new, hold on this again. Start from here. Right before the mile shadow land after Alf Anning. Wait, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. I was born in the darkness. The impressions don't miss. You've merely adopted the dark. I was born in it. Bring me my strawberries. If you seen that one, oh, it's the best. Really? Some guy did a whole thing where
Starting point is 01:29:56 He's asking for strong. Oh, yeah, I don't know why. Okay, sorry. Thanks, Rox. Ding is for now. Sad news about James Ransom yesterday. It was so great as an adult, Eddie in Itchapter 2. To those out there who feel alone, please don't forget that you aren't. There's something out there who, there's something or someone out there who loves you.
Starting point is 01:30:13 Yes. Very well said, Dingus. I might go live all week this week. I got to do more to help. I feel like I have to do more out. I know. I know I'm an asshole, but I still want to help people. I don't think you're an asshole.
Starting point is 01:30:26 At all. No, thank you. I don't. My bestie, Jeff, he's an asshole. Love him. Oh, Jeffrey? Jeffie?
Starting point is 01:30:35 I love him. You know, you guys know he's my guy. Right. But he could be a little of an asshole. You're not an asshole, John. Thank you. Michael,
Starting point is 01:30:42 support for the three amigos. Have a safe and wonderful Christmas. It's going to be 41 degrees, uh, Christmas day. So it'll be indoors with the air con on full blast. 41 is not that cold year. It was 20, 27 here the other day.
Starting point is 01:30:55 Um, corn emperor. Roxy and Roca, Merry Fing Christmas. Hell yeah. 100%. Let's go, Cod, let's go. You guys are at 94. I mean, keep it coming. Actually, 95.
Starting point is 01:31:08 95. Darth Vader's burnt asshole. Saw Avatar, I thought it was fine. Doomsday trailer had zero pop. Wow. Odyssey. Isn't that from a lot of people? Yeah. Odyssey had people excited, but I think people under Estate Mando. My theater was excited each time Grogu came on.
Starting point is 01:31:23 He makes a point. You know, that's what they're. banking on. They're banking on the fact that, you know, people will, you know, the casual fan will run out to see it. I still think that anyone who thinks that movie is making over a billion dollars should get their head checked out.
Starting point is 01:31:38 If you think it's going to be more than a billion dollars, if you think that movie's going to make $2 billion, you shouldn't be able to speak on a microphone. What happened? No, I'm just saying. But John's laughing like he knows something we don't know. No, I just know the positive Star Wars people. You can see them going like,
Starting point is 01:31:56 It's going to make $2 billion. I know it. All right. Are you, Matt? I will tell you right now. I will tell you right now, I'll make this bet. Anaconda's a best bill by the year.
Starting point is 01:32:06 I've lost this the last time I did this, but I'll do it. If Mandelaarine and Grogo makes $2 billion, I will shave my head on the air. Oh, 100%. You'll shave your balls on the air and your head. No, they'll be out of the, that'll be done. That's $2 billion. Why do you want that, John? I know.
Starting point is 01:32:24 It's true. Happy Christmas. Thank you, Joey. I'm sure. Edit the movies. Rocking Roca, woohoo, happy holidays. I know nothing about boxing,
Starting point is 01:32:32 but I do know I can't stay in the Paul brothers. Didn't watch Happy He Lost, though. I don't hate them. I heard a lot of people say that. I heard so much. I don't hate them. I don't hate them. I understand why people hate them,
Starting point is 01:32:42 but I don't hate them. And I respect them both for what they have both accomplished. And especially, like, people don't understand what Logan Paul. What he's done in wrestling is unheard of. It's unheard of what he's able to do. Yep. Don't disagree.
Starting point is 01:33:00 Yeah. Corn Emperor, top three shows of the year for all three. You'll get that. You're just going to get that. You're just going to get that. Rox, you're going to do a video, aren't you? Yeah, 100% I'm going to do a video. But I will say that my favorite, I will give them my favorite show of the year, which
Starting point is 01:33:14 is dying for sex. That show to me was the best show of the year. Oh, the show Williams one. Yes. Yes. It was beyond incredible. So if you're looking for something you very likely didn't watch to watch, binge at the end of the year. That show was so funny, so moving, so poignant, brilliant show.
Starting point is 01:33:32 I think Andor is still my number one, my favorite of the year, right? Because that was really in the year. That's still my number one. Christian. Yeah, let's add a list. I mean, welcome to Derry's up there. Because it's in my, it's in my head. But welcome to Derry. Um, what's, uh, Andor. There was another one that I loved. I can't, that I, that I, oh, yeah, you loved, um, oh, whoa, oh, task. Yes. Oh, task is task those are nothing. Mladis is getting close for me. Plyrobus is getting close for me.
Starting point is 01:34:00 Lerbis so good. Beth Snyder. Portia Potty's put in Avatar theaters. Jake Sully calls Roka a sky person in interview. North Korea to shoot and have to be black. I actually can't read this. What?
Starting point is 01:34:14 Beth Snyder is a fake. This is his, he does this kind of goof thing on Jeff Snyder. It's always a funny article. So it's not putting out. Yeah, Jake Sully calls Roka, Sky person. That was a very hard ten-stery.
Starting point is 01:34:29 My choice. I want to watch the pit before the new season. Will I like it if I got tired of how repetitive ER was after several episodes? Yes. Okay. Fair enough. But it's one night. It's not like ER multiple episodes. It's one night.
Starting point is 01:34:43 But I agree with, but I kind of agree with Roxy. Like, it's one ER episode over 15 episodes. That's for sure. I love this show. Love this show. Yeah, you do. Okay. Let's see. I am D Blake I saw Avatar
Starting point is 01:34:57 Fire and Ash in IMAX 3D and I loved it Good same Yeah Oh no it wasn't IMAX but it was 3D I did I did not see it in IMAX either I was bummed about that to be honest They had us watch on the lot
Starting point is 01:35:10 I know I didn't watch it in a lot but I watched it I don't like it I watched it was a big thing Yeah Greenie from Oz Christmas movie suggestions also Merry Christmas Legends
Starting point is 01:35:18 I'm gonna give you the standard Home Alone and Christmas story I have to watch every year Those are two I have to watch die hard. Fuck you. Just friends. And what else is my other Christmas like good?
Starting point is 01:35:32 Oh, love action, of course. Love actually and it's a wonderful life. Although I will say, you kind of can't beat putting on like the Lindsay Lohan Netflix Christmas movies and like just getting lit with your siblings. Just as a suggestion. That's amazing. I love that.
Starting point is 01:35:46 So fun. All right. What's holidays about? That's good one. Next one is IMD Blake. Avatar 3 will be my top 10. list for 2025. IMD Blake is great
Starting point is 01:35:58 handle. That's cool. Yeah, fair enough. Seattle, K. Morning, folks, are you guys excited for Disclosure Day based off what you saw
Starting point is 01:36:06 from the first trailer? Yes, very much so. Yeah. Where do you stand, John? Yeah, I thought it was a great trailer. Terrible CGI at the end, but the trailer itself
Starting point is 01:36:13 was fantastic. And I love that Emily, man, I love when Emily, like, she's just so good at it. It's interesting. I think he's the best action star of our generation.
Starting point is 01:36:21 She is? You might be right. I do. She has. woman action star. Julius Wyatt 8895. Housemate can never find a consistent tone. Some of the worst needle drops I've heard in a while.
Starting point is 01:36:32 I had a blast. Amazing bad movie. Avatar 3 was fun. Okay. Interesting. Okay. I haven't seen that one, so I'm not sure. So Joshua Gonzalez, everyone went nuts in the theater for the Michael trailer.
Starting point is 01:36:43 That movie's going to get close to a billion. Oh, yeah. And the Odyssey five-minute clip, not so much the Avengers teaser. The thing that I saw, again, watch her for like a split second because I don't want to be spoiled on it. It seemed like canned excitement. It didn't seem like real. It didn't seem like it seemed like someone put
Starting point is 01:37:02 excitement in there like the cheering and stuff. It didn't seem like it was actually happening in the theater. Interesting. Yeah. Greenie from Oz. Hate to say it, but I kind of hope Avatar doesn't get the numbers it needs to make sequels. I'd rather see James writing something fresh and new.
Starting point is 01:37:16 I think that's what John was saying. Yeah, he said he's working on a new Terminator movie. So if that's true, get that into production now. I just watched all of those for real rejects. I hadn't seen them. I really loved the first two. Yes. I like dark fate,
Starting point is 01:37:36 although a lot of people don't like dark fate. So John, I watched Dark Fate when it was in theaters without seeing another Terminator movie. And I liked the movie. Now I just watched it after watching the other ones. And I was like, I have changed my mind. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:37:51 Even though I liked parts of it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Okay. I just was never a John Connor fan. You're killing me, don't. Roxy, don't bring attention to it. There's something going on. Mike Joyce.
Starting point is 01:38:06 I'm a big fan. You're no way not to remember it. I'm a big fan of the Avatar franchise, and I think I can, and I think, I'm a big fan of the Avatar franchise, and even I think James Cameron should move on from it. He's too talented to stay on a franchise for 20 years. Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 01:38:23 Fair. Yeah, I think he's not going to be, I mean, I want to see him do, and he won't do this, but I'd like to see him do a $70 million terminator movie. Okay. He'll never do that. No, no way. Rinaldo whiskey, happy non-denominational winter salsa holiday season. Everyone wrote, have you decided what your favorite movie theater in San Diego area is yet?
Starting point is 01:38:45 Yeah, it's the Angelica. It's the one right by my house. Leather seats, only 40, 50 people in the theater for every showing. in terms of seats, good food and really good service. I love those guys. They're great stuff. And they have a nice selection of films that they show. Sounds nice.
Starting point is 01:39:02 Carlton Rudder. London calling love and support to you all for Christmas. Thank you for the great content in 2025. And here's to raising the last to an amazing 2026. Thank you. Hell yeah, Carlton. London call. I am D. Blake.
Starting point is 01:39:17 I watched after the hunt yesterday. Probably the worst movie I've seen. Wow. Worst movie you've seen. I don't know about that. Just didn't work for me. Ever? As a writer,
Starting point is 01:39:26 I thought the script was not very good. I thought I agree with John. I think it was long, but I actually really liked that. I thought that it, I thought it challenged, a challenge society. You're a little too young,
Starting point is 01:39:37 I MD Blake. Watch the movie again in 10 years. I think you'll get a little more out of it than you would, like in your 20s or early 30s. Yeah, I thought the script was actually, I thought the movie went on a little long, but I think the script was pretty solid.
Starting point is 01:39:48 I like script too. Yeah. Doug developer, 8850. What's a perfect length? vacation for you guys. Scientific research has eight to nine days. I say it peaks at nine and you start to miss home after that. Eight to nine days is great. It's a matter of you can afford it. Depends where, when. I think like four days because otherwise I start to get very stressed out. Right. I don't like to leave my home. So I'll say no days. Eight to nine hours,
Starting point is 01:40:15 my vacation. I don't think we're a good focus group for this question. Yeah, no. I build my house like a vacation now, so I enjoy where I live. Yeah. All right, let's see. Next one after that is future millionaire 26. Happy holidays, folks. Happy holidays, future millionaire. I like that manifestation. You too.
Starting point is 01:40:36 Hank, Pam, Gunther's promo was great. Few words, Big Impact. I did see it. You didn't like it, John? It was Lukewarm, the reception. I don't know what big impact he's talking about, but good promo. Just lukewarm was the heat. Yeah, well, I think they're taking it out on him when they want to be taking it
Starting point is 01:40:52 out on AAA on AAA on triple H yeah yeah um okay let's see after that hotel nerd currently writing a book and it and it sparked something in me and now I want to start doing screenwriting when done tips to start film school or just do it I just do it I just do super duper think you should learn how to write a script but you do not need to go to film school take an online masterclass something just figure out how I write a script yeah also roxy everyone's writing books you know all our friends write books everyone's writing because the IP stuff right now is so hot but no not only do I not write a book I don't read a book yeah yeah perfect there you go cadaver 82 ever things have downtown Griffin Newman on any of the shows
Starting point is 01:41:41 he's got an audience of blank tank it is a film or super nerd plus he's in new york I know you know what's funny is that Griffin I get along very well like when we isn't schmodeau like we get along very well I haven't spoken to him since I've been back. And I don't know if it's my fault, his fault or nobody's fault. We just haven't spoke to each other. But I should probably do that. It's like when he was on, well, Finstock Exchange, we didn't speak to each other either.
Starting point is 01:42:05 Oh, not, not at all. Nudy, a little guy. No, I didn't have a followers for him. No, stop. He wasn't snooty at all. Go, pal. Anyone but you opened in 1222? I followed him too, John. He never followed me back.
Starting point is 01:42:18 Yeah. Screw you, Griffey. No, my dad screw you. I think that I was trying to flirt with him. Oh. And I don't think it went through. No, I think it went through. I don't think it was received.
Starting point is 01:42:30 You think it was reciprocated. I don't think it was reciprocated. That's what I think at the time. If I remember it correctly. That's fair. Anyone but you opened at 1222 and built for three weeks. Yeah, but anyone, but you didn't have much competition, bro. And it's just not the same situation.
Starting point is 01:42:44 I'm telling you. We'll find out next week. Cedever 82. Happy Holiday Gatry. Thanks for all you do. Thank you, Devere. I really appreciate it. I love that.
Starting point is 01:42:50 picture going on her. Is that you? That's great. That is great. I am the B. B. Lake. Una Chaplin is beautiful. Just saying, I mean, look, performance is great and glad she didn't get her game. I really. Oh, who are it for people? I know, I know. What's wrong with you? I know. But I do, but I do like, um, I did really, really like her performance. I wish I would have used her good actress. Great. Yeah. She's chaplain's like granddaughter or great granddaughter? Yeah, Charlie Chaplin. Yeah. Well, there you go. He follows it up with another really big one. thank you. I watched the bodyguard for the first time, and I loved it. Kevin Costner was very good.
Starting point is 01:43:23 But Whitney Houston for me personally was outstanding. She was very good in that movie. And damn, she was beautiful. Yes, she was. This is a movie I would rewatch, classic. It's a really cool, old school kind of nice movie. What a fun movie to find for the first place. If you want to enjoy Whitney more, watch Waiting to Exhale as well. She was damn good. I've never seen I.M.D. Blake before, and he's coming in hot today. Real hot. Yeah. Yeah. What about Bob? Have you guys seen Problem Child with John Ritter and Gilbert God, of course. No, I haven't. You've seen that, John, right?
Starting point is 01:43:52 Yeah, not my cup of tea, but yeah, I like, the first one was good. The second one, they overdid it. Kids irritate me, so a film about it irritated. Go, pal, Roxy. Did you watch The Night of with Rizam and Sophia Black? The first episode was great, but I fell off when I got super bleak. Yeah, I love that show. I did not fall off.
Starting point is 01:44:13 It was really powerful, I thought. And very bleak, yes. And it's also like when I started being completely obsessed with Rizumad. Yeah. That fingernails film, right, that you were mentioning earlier. Yeah. Yes. He's in that.
Starting point is 01:44:28 He's so good. Sophia Black Delia, she was in a show that nobody watched single drunk female, I think it was called, on Netflix or FX or Hulu. She was amazing in that show. I know she was great in the Mick, but she was the lead of that show as a recovering alcoholic. like it's a kind of a dark comedy dealing with putting her life back together. It's exceptional. And Jo Beth Williams, I think, played, no, Elizabeth Perkins played her mom. And it's such a good show and hardly anybody watched it.
Starting point is 01:44:57 It's like English teacher. English teacher was great. Got canceled after a second. Such a shame, man. Such a good show. Okay. Let's see. So Go, pal.
Starting point is 01:45:05 Thank you for those. And now we got, again, 120. You guys are crushing right now. Come on. One 20. Paul Hitchcock, why don't boxers have checks, Do you, sorry, because I just wanted to double check on this. John, you do think it's such a shame that it was canceled?
Starting point is 01:45:21 The English teacher? Okay. Yeah, why? Because of all the sexual assault allegations. Oh, wow. It's a tough stance to brush by, but. I didn't read up on that, so I don't know what the particulars are on that. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:45:35 Please excuse me if I'm, if I'm just protecting you just in case. Anyway, go ahead. Yeah, I have no idea. Why don't boxers have checks before a fight because they really don't like each other? Topical. Did you get that? I don't get it. Oh, like, he's saying, like, why don't they and then the joke is like, why don't have sex? Oh, why he's have sex before? It's a funny one, Paul. Good one, Paul.
Starting point is 01:45:58 It might be laughing. I get it now. I know why he couldn't write it because it wouldn't have went through, but it, I got lost. Yeah, but this is what we do. I know. E. G.S. That's what you're supposed to do, guys. That's what we all know now is says. Colonel Stephen Lockjaw, I saw both your reactions, Christian. You laughed more in one battle than anything in Superman. man. Is Guns humor tired and predictable now? I say yes. I just feel like sometimes it's unnecessary. I think you don't have to make it sometimes it's unnecessary and sometimes, you know, sometimes the jokes, like, look, I've been saying this since Guardians 2.
Starting point is 01:46:32 Yeah. Guardians 2 I like a lot more than I did when I initially saw it, but dear, I still feel the same way. There are times when not everybody needs to have a joke. And that's also a thing that I have with a lot of different things, not just guns. done. So, anyway, John Draxton, Christopher Nolan is undoubtedly one of the greatest artists in the business. Yeah, brings so much incredible focus to his work,
Starting point is 01:46:56 number one for me. Which director, in your opinions, have a flawless resume? Denny Villeneuve? Flawless. Yeah, I mean, he's, I would have gone,
Starting point is 01:47:05 I would probably said, Deni. I really fuck with Greta Gerwig. Oh, yes. Agreed. The only thing with that right now is, right. She doesn't have as much of a resume, but so far, yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:18 Just in terms of flawless, like, you know, even Nolan, he's got, he's got a smaller resume. That's why we're able to say it, because obviously, I think one of the best directors at all time is Steven Spielberg, but you can't call his resume flawless. Right. I mean, even like, I mean, so like, I know these not everybody's favorite right, but Tarantino for the most part, but I, but I'd say there's a couple of, I don't know what he, what he's had that was like a major miss, but.
Starting point is 01:47:39 Tarantino. Who, which one? Tarantino. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Great.
Starting point is 01:47:44 But I probably, I mean, a lot of people. Yeah, it's a good call too. Yeah, so it's a Tarantino. Edit the movies. Am I showing of Avatar saw Odyssey Prologue so epic? Oh, theater lost it. I think it will clear a billion? Yes, definitely.
Starting point is 01:47:56 Doom State T's was crickets. Interesting to say least. Wow. Because there's not much there. It's just a thing. It's just a scene. It's just a scene. It's just a scene.
Starting point is 01:48:07 Really strong in the chat, Ryan Coogler and Sean Baker, I think that's a great one too. Yeah, Cougars is Cougler right now too. IMD Blake. I saw the six-minute prologue by the Odyssey at Irvine Spectrum and IMAX. And guys, it was incredible. Oh, I love hearing. That's where I'm going to see it.
Starting point is 01:48:21 If I'm going to see it this week. I love hearing. R.C. Respect, Gunther's wrestling ability. I'm just not a fan. I don't get the hype and I don't feel he has the it factor. The reason I like him is, you don't like him, John? No, I like him.
Starting point is 01:48:34 I like, I'm just saying, mm to his comment. He's real old school to me. He reminds me of like the golden era wrestling. It's Harley Race, bro. It's Harley Race. He's got an old school field. to me. So that's why I like him because I told this to John, I want to see them try to do golden era wrestling for a year. I think I think this new style of the acrobatics and, and,
Starting point is 01:48:54 you know, the same old shit over and over again. I think it's getting tired. I think they need to change it up. And I think Gunther's the type of guy that is very old school. So John DX. Dragon. Matt Damon worked with Nolan is also a dream control. Well, they've done it before. Yeah. They've done it twice. And he was also, he was also interstellar, yeah. I don't know that both seem to have a humble, hardworking presence that I respect. Is there an artist you feel similar about? I mean, total. There's quite a few. John's going to laugh. I think the way Julia Roberts carries herself in general. Look, I've said it before. If you listen to interviews and do the way she cares, the way she has and maintained. And when they asked her about like her family
Starting point is 01:49:38 life and things and too, she keeps herself private. She keeps her. She keeps her private. She keeps keeps and she says at my house, you know, we're not, it's, it's not movie star stuff. The way that I want to, like my wife and I try to parent our kids and stuff like, it's like, stay humble, do these things. And I, I respect that. So. Adam's down there. Yeah, a great. Oh, great. 100%. A great one. A great one. Okay. All the British actors. All the British actors are like that. Yeah. It's just a job, you know, I respect that. The shame, Markell. I'm thinking of reading Iliad and Odyssey before catching the movie.
Starting point is 01:50:11 You read them. You and Sam's trailer reaction was a fun watch. Thank you. I really enjoyed doing that with Sam. I'm glad that we did it. I did in school. School. I don't remember it that well.
Starting point is 01:50:23 School. Yes. Old. Exactly. Corny Emperor, Roxy. I don't remember either. How would you coach Roxy through Snyder? When they played Snyder, you mean?
Starting point is 01:50:33 Roxy, how would you coach Roca through Snyder? I think probably when you went up against Snyder. I would say there's not as many people whose heads are as easy to get into as his. So he really got to fuck with Snyder and he's in trouble. He would not like me saying that because he can he can fuck around right back. But it's a lot about the because his knowledge is insane. So you have to like screw with his mind a little. That was my mistake.
Starting point is 01:51:03 I never found my way. And now that I know him, I know exactly how I would have played him. But back then I didn't know him quite as well as I do now. Yeah. He got in my head. You guys have a really cool dynamic. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:51:15 Yeah. As long as it'll last. I don't know. It's always nuclear. Occasionally the nuclear isotopes come out. But like, I understand. I love that boy.
Starting point is 01:51:23 But I love that boy. And same and same. Yeah. All right. Let's see. RQMD, SMD. Support for Roxy and John. Odyssey most anticipated.
Starting point is 01:51:33 Woo. Same. All right. Let's see. Next one is go pal. Seeing Gladiator. was one of the last things we saw college before graduation at the brand new stadium seating amc that just opened near campus. That's funny. I saw that. I saw a gladiator at the old AMC, uh, Century City
Starting point is 01:51:53 before it was what it is now. I think I had Tallahassee because it came out of 2000. Yeah, I was, I just, I had only been in LA for a little bit. Uh, the sympathy of all things. Odyssey needs our rating. Prolog felt too clean. I wonder if it's going to be. I wonder. The Shea Markell. I love Dune, but I'm super nervous about part three. It would be a shame, but I wouldn't be shocked if it wasn't well received. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Well, it's Deni. We were just talking about it.
Starting point is 01:52:19 Like, he's flawless so far. So we'll see. Crash and Coyote. I don't know what the show as much as other people did. You know, I never finished it, but I liked what I had seen. Oh, yeah, the show. Yeah, I thought the show was good, not great, though. Yeah, it was missing.
Starting point is 01:52:32 It was missing him. I saw Prologue. It was epic, but PG-13 trailer was super disappointing compared to our rated Trojan, were sequel in theaters, which I only saw prologue. So is it rated R though? The movie? I don't think you would have to be rated R. I think he just meant the trailer was not, but I don't know. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:50 Yeah. Trailer wasn't as all rated as far. Okay, let's say. I'm doing this because this is for the next question. And here it is. And Peter, Christian, could Arnold do the night before Christmas? Let's see if I can do it. Yes. Is tonight before Christmas?
Starting point is 01:53:09 This all to the house. And then the creature was stirring, not even the mouse. It was the smaller super chat. So there's all you get. That's perfect. Really good. That was super solid. R.C.
Starting point is 01:53:24 Pluribus really needs to get to the point. I like the show where they're really dragging it. Oh, that's just... Be patient. I don't feel that they're dragging it. I actually really do enjoy the show. Yeah, I love it. Christian.
Starting point is 01:53:35 Why, I rock. What's your favorite part? The fact that, you... You know, he, uh, what's his face? Did the thing. Yeah. Trey Porter. I just saw the Odyssey prologue in theaters, badass.
Starting point is 01:53:51 Oh, Christian. Oh, Christian. Colonel Stephen Lockshaw. I look forward to his, his questions now. Did you like that Willa never told Leo that she's not his daughter, but she's, colonel's daughter, oh, I mean, spoiler, but whatever. Yeah. I don't know what the reaction.
Starting point is 01:54:07 Well, I mean, this has been out for a little bit, but still. I don't know what his reaction would have been. I don't want to get too much as a spoiler, but I did. I like all the choices. I like to, I loved it. I really liked it a lot when I saw it the second time. I mean, you rephrase that. Really liked it.
Starting point is 01:54:22 The first time I saw it, loved it the second. I've seen it four times now, and it gets better every time. It's just such a good movie. Four is a lot. It's really good. All these people complaining about it. Kiss my time. Greeny from Oz. Homer wrote The Odyssey in 800 BC.
Starting point is 01:54:38 It's about time somebody finally. into a movie. Curious to see what the cyclops end up looking like. To all our friends writing books right now. I know. I know. Joey Predgers. Be kind to yourselves, folks.
Starting point is 01:54:48 100% Joey. Well said. You guys are crushing today. 131. Holy crap. Shane Markill, for anyone that enjoys Korean movies, the Great Flood was a surprisingly fun movie.
Starting point is 01:54:58 I'd not expect that plot. It's a fun, small story with Ambitious. It's on Netflix now. I'm definitely going to watch that the next few days. With Ambitious. With Ambitious. Yeah. following up. Armada,
Starting point is 01:55:11 8.YT. Thoughts and Secret Agent movie. Really good. I like the blend of humor and the fact that it's like a secret agent. I mean, it's a spy thriller. I mean, would you like it, John? I did. I really enjoyed it. He was great. He's the only one I see challenging Timothy in my mind. I know DiCaprio did a really good job in one battle, but to me, it wins foreign film. It wins. It'll win foreign film. Yeah, probably. But Wagner. Vagnamara, I think. He's my, was one to, one two for me and him. me and him and Timothy, but.
Starting point is 01:55:39 Greenie from Oz. Merry Christmas to Big Balls, Mrs. Balls, and Little Balls, Jr. Rinaldo, I love this panel today. Today show, it's awesome. Thank you. Yay. It was a fun show. Chris, Jay Herman. My predictions for Avatar 4.
Starting point is 01:55:57 More repetitive story beats, lack of character, with annoying kids getting captured, and corny bro dialogue. I love the bro stuff. But the thing is, is that you have to understand. The reason that I do understand. No, not you. It doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother me.
Starting point is 01:56:13 If they were actually saying that, it would bother me. But they're not saying that. They're talking in Navi and it's their portion of what it is. So they're not saying that. But it's annoying for people. I get it. Go pal. You think they put him in the long sleep polo underpants and go-go boots from Super
Starting point is 01:56:29 Friends? Was that brainiac? Yeah. No, they won't do that. No, I don't think so. Peter Stone. The same. that has John Cena, Bradley Cooper, Holt, and Mamoa.
Starting point is 01:56:39 Is Roka stupid? I love the thing. I mean, yeah, those guys are commanding top dollar. Definitely, right? Top dollar. Bradley Cooper. Are you stupid? Bradley Cooper is in it for five minutes.
Starting point is 01:56:53 There's a reason. You know what I'm saying? So the only stupid one here is you, Peter Stone, because you understand the dynamics of money in Hollywood. I would say it's not nice to ask somebody if they're stupid. well and we talked about nights during this season um we're humans I don't agree with Roka and yet somehow
Starting point is 01:57:14 I find him to be very smart thank you all right let's see battery Roka such an angry elf today anti-gun bias that's why I asked you about how you actually felt about the cast because I was happy to hear like it how can you really call that anti-gun when he is enjoying what he's doing I just think that that's interesting.
Starting point is 01:57:36 Yeah. Even though I disagree with you. Yeah. My only issues are ever that I don't think the full truth is being told behind this stuff. And I think he's always pushing narratives that make him look good, which I understand it's Hollywood. But I think fans are embracing that and weaponizing it at times. And it's where it gets frustrating.
Starting point is 01:57:54 Bojacks. I love when you guys, along with Campy and R&B mentioned going to Irvine to watch movies, I worked there for three years back in the day and I still go back there to watch IMAX movies. That's cool. That's really cool. Adam Labak does that too. Adam loves that Irvine plays. Prady BK.
Starting point is 01:58:10 Once Netflix gets Warner Bros., will they move away from Comic-Con and move everything over to Netflix Tutum? Can Tutum become as big as Comic-Con? Someone asked this the other day as well on one of my streams, and I'll give you my response, is that I don't think Netflix will come close to matching Comic-Con, because Comic-Con is more than just the movies.
Starting point is 01:58:29 It's the comic books, it's the TV shows, it's the guest appearances, and Tudum does a good job, but being online also virtual rather, it's not going to have as much power. But I think it'll rival the movie stuff for sure, but it won't rival the overall experience of Comic-Com. WB already has moved slightly away from Comic-Con depending on the year.
Starting point is 01:58:48 So I don't think that this, yeah, I agree with John. Also, Tudam is very, very international. And that's kind of their thing, right? Like Tudm filmed in Mexico this year, I believe. And they like to travel to different locations. and it's not like a everybody's invited situation. So they seem different to me. That's more like DC fandom.
Starting point is 01:59:09 Yeah, yeah. So we'll see. Okay. John DX Dragon. I'm very curious to see what happens with Batman, Wonder Woman in the DCU. I'm excited for both Reeves and Gunn, but we really need to clear the air and cast them. I'm okay with the pace that we're going at.
Starting point is 01:59:29 Yeah, I want to say, I mean, I like the idea that Wonder Woman could show up in the next one. and that'd be interesting to see. I feel like she might already be cast, but we'll, we'll see. Zino. I don't know who James Gunn makes more insecure.
Starting point is 01:59:46 Josh Arroka. Such a weird comment. Why would I be insecure about James? Like, it's a weird thing. Josh. Who? McCoug? Is he been bitching about Gun as well? I don't know. Okay. I don't know. I didn't get the question. I don't know. Weird. Supervash. I love Roka.
Starting point is 02:00:02 about I respectfully disagree. There's no way they're giving Reeves a big budget and not gun. Netflix will give gun the money he needs to make sure that man that tomorrow is great. Netflix might next year, but we're not on a Netflix leadership yet. The other side of this is how do you say no way
Starting point is 02:00:18 when you see Scarlett Johansson coming in to be a massive part of that movie? That's a lot of money. Scarjo is worth a lot my man, a lot. All right, let's see. So next one after that. is Greenie from Oz.
Starting point is 02:00:33 I love that Millie drunk Supergirl instruction. That character for her's was very relatable to me. Plus, she's an Aussie. We'll see how the movie is and see if that actually works. I love Woman of Tomorrow. Yeah. So this is going to be so in my alley. Mears of support for the lovely Roxy and the Loire.
Starting point is 02:00:53 Oh, thank you. C.C. Black. Villain needs to be a big name for a superhero movie. Spader, Brolin, Jack Nicholson. Hopefully the Rock is Apocalypse rumor is true. You know, performance to me, performance is performance. It doesn't have to be a big name. I don't agree.
Starting point is 02:01:08 I wouldn't say Spader was a big name either when he got the thing. But Brolin and Jack, I agree. Matt Krugman. How about them bears? Yeah. I learned this. Krugman. That's what I said.
Starting point is 02:01:24 C.C. Black. Correction. The Rock is Apocalypse. You think they're going to do that? I don't know, man. I don't know. If Oscar, I, Isaac couldn't do a good job with it.
Starting point is 02:01:34 Well, it was not the writing, which it wasn't his fault. Releisa Evers, I guess the future X-Men cast will be cheap, too. Gun's not even doing the X-Men. How do you make that connection? What is wrong with you guys? Come on. Big Bang, O.T. Ford. Timothy Chalamey going to win his first Oscar this year. He's got a good shot.
Starting point is 02:01:52 He's got a good shot. Some people are getting annoyed with him with his interviews, but I am not. There is nothing wrong with someone who believes in himself. What are we about in our society right now, but getting people to believe in themselves and to think of all the things they can accomplish. Timmy believes in himself and he talks about it out loud. That's not a negative.
Starting point is 02:02:10 He doesn't put other people down. He talks about himself, just about himself. He's rapping. He's got, was it, Kylie Jenner or Kendall Jenner, one of the Jenner's one of the genres he's dating. Kylie. The man is living on top of the world. And I saw a bunch of sweaty, nerdy film critics,
Starting point is 02:02:24 a bunch of dorks crying about him and making fun of his rap thing. You guys are wondering about which Malcolm Gladwell book to jack off to on a Saturday night. this kid is living the best life he could possibly live. Why are you hating on the bro? So let's put that out there. Timmy is great. We don't like people to be depressed, but then we don't like when they're proud of themselves,
Starting point is 02:02:41 but then we don't like when they're, there's no happy. You're fucking minds. Go, pal. Mr. Cameron isn't afraid of making movies too long. I mean, when you, you've got receipts. Zorty, or Zort, one, I think it's a creator issue. Scarjo does West Anderson movies for scale, but demands millions to do Jurassic. So they wanted to be in soups and like the James.
Starting point is 02:03:01 in the story they would make it work. I mean, it's like Nolan, too. There's no way no one's playing everybody at their top rate. You can do it because you're in a Nolan move. Right, right. It wouldn't make it work. No. They couldn't make it work.
Starting point is 02:03:12 If they didn't have the money for it, they can't make it work. That's the game, guys. Big Bang OT Ford. Timmy's rap collab with S.D. Kid was fire. Listen to Al-Gee. Yeah, apparently he can really rap, huh? Yeah. Armada.
Starting point is 02:03:28 Will Nuremberg be an Oscar consideration? don't think so i liked it and john liked it but i don't think it's no one's talking about it i know man it's a shame i thought russell and rami were great and i thought russell could have nominated greenie from oz when it comes to ai and writing it's missing that little thing called humanity when you're writing just uses your life experience and struggle as your source material that's what i will never have on us that's what you're saying i i don't know but i i personally will never be as interested in a script if i hear it's written by ai that i i don't know that it actually won't be as good, but if that is something I'm told, it's like when you walk into a
Starting point is 02:04:03 restaurant and it has a bee rating, even if the food is delicious, you know it has a bee rating and you know that the food could be dirty. Like it just doesn't hit as home to me. All right. Let's see. Next one is Mirjam. Happy holidays to you, Roxy, John, and Christian. Obsessed with you in here, Jim. Yeah. Isaiah Smith. I'm not going to watch any more Odyssey trailers. They already have my money. Going to try to watch any for June 3, but I don't think I have the willpower. Yeah. I try to not watch a lot of trailers either, but for work sometimes I have to. Sinakero, Happy Holidays.
Starting point is 02:04:36 Favorite holiday memory slash memories? I mean, look, I had a good one over the weekend. We had a nice holiday party. Thanks. Oh, with my mom. I have so many. She crushed. She used to get us a different calendar every Hanukkah.
Starting point is 02:04:50 That was like her every year based on like what we were really into. And that's what I always think about her like knowing us so well and which calendar we were going to get that year. Climbing off my deathbed to join Dan Merle to beat Viviani and the kid. It was a great Christmas memory. Go, John. That was a most stressful day for me. I'm like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 02:05:11 My biggest stars is sick, not coming in. Team match sucks. That was a bad day, bro. Big Bang, O-T-4, Chainsaw Man, the movie. Resark was my favorite anime movie this year. 10-10, highly recommend. Okay. Yeah, here's good things.
Starting point is 02:05:25 Matt Krugman. Thanks for the Masterclass Ads in Code. Good. Finally sat up this weekend. Time to cook better and write better in 2026. It's a great time to join. Great time. Thank you, Matt Krugman.
Starting point is 02:05:34 Yeah, totally. Eric Henderson, Mr. I crap and shits, where's our hand was? I don't know why they do this. Roxy, I hope you had a joyous Hanukkah, Christian,
Starting point is 02:05:43 Merry Christmas, Roca, happy Quons. Thank you. Thanks, dude. I'll take it. I'll be honored Black man. I love it.
Starting point is 02:05:51 Blacks me, is it over? Hanuk was yesterday, right? Or is it over? Last night was the last night. Right on. So it's sundown to sundown. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:06:02 Belated. Mr. Jay Anderson, just wanted to jump in and say Merry Christmas to you three and your families. I know it ain't a huge donation. A dollar is a nice donation. Thank you, Mr. Jay. I had a very expensive year stacking, firefighting, diving, rescues, regulation forces,
Starting point is 02:06:18 specialization courses. Thank you, Jay. That's amazing. Thank you. Christian, the one above the, I think you skipped, too, just before you keep going. I have to use restroom real quick. I'll be right back.
Starting point is 02:06:30 And I have to go in a few minutes. All right. Oh. Yeah. Supafish. Paul Joshua fight was as one side as U. Bull versus Jeff Snyder. It's a great one.
Starting point is 02:06:39 And it's true. It should be a revenge. Yeah. Sean McCabe. Most interesting man in the world, looks can be deceiving. I had a great weekend for movies, though. C-Soo 2.
Starting point is 02:06:49 Oh, I hope that was good. The Running Man and F1. Yeah, me too. I'm so excited for C-Soo too. I loved the first C-Sue. I got to see the first one. Oh, my God. It is so badass.
Starting point is 02:06:58 You're going to love it. That's what I hear. Joey Pedrus Rocks, are you a Scrubs fan? Looking forward to the reboot in February. Yes, I am a Scrubs fan. I am cautiously really optimistic about the reboot. I've heard good things.
Starting point is 02:07:11 Mike Joyce. Ploribus finale. February, though, that's so soon. Holy crap. Predictions, don't give predictions because I don't, because nobody's... My pluribus finale predictions is that we're not going to get all the answers that you're hoping for,
Starting point is 02:07:23 but it will lead to a season two. Kiki and DeLuca, thank you for doing The Demon Slater shows. Thank you. Yeah, I know. Look, I really like it. I can't tell, I can't say that we're not going to keep going. I just, uh, it just is frustrating because so it's, it's just so damn good. And I wouldn't be able to see the action. I want the anime, if you ever talk about the anime community, the anime community is like, where are they? Where are they? Uh, go pal. The Michael trailer in my head was John Chivalta. Fair. The great Derek Johnson. I want to make a check for the entire show. The Odyssey will bomb. If I lose, I'll donate $600. if I win. Every person who bet against me has to wear a chicken beak for the entire show. And for every donation, $5 a must clock the chicken for five seconds. Well, here's one thing.
Starting point is 02:08:12 Okay. So what's, so are we saying what you have to clarify, what is a bomb? I think that he just wants to donate $600. Here's what I would ask you, though. I would say, can we make a bet that you put it towards the Kickstarter and not the show? because this is I don't think and I don't know
Starting point is 02:08:32 Are you still going to be running the Kickstarter in the summer? Oh, the summer, that's true. Good call. Right, no, it won't be. Hopefully the show will be wrapped by that. So. Season two Kickstarter.
Starting point is 02:08:46 Yeah, right. What are we talking about as far as Baumann? You're talking about that it's not going to make its budget? Like, we got to clarify. He's always like, will it make you, So the movie itself, I would say, Derek, do you think it'll make 600 million worldwide? Because I think if it doesn't make 600 worldwide, that'll be a problem. Hank Pim, the night before is my favorite Christmas movie.
Starting point is 02:09:09 Michael Shannon is great in it. It is great. I love that. Yes, it's really good. I like that there's juice stuff in it. Yeah. Yeah, it's really good. Jack Lewis.
Starting point is 02:09:19 Saw Avatar and Dolby and IMAX for IMAX. Sorry, Big Jim. The movie was a little too repetitive for my liking, but I've still enjoyed it. Do you think we'll get four and five? think big Jim comes back to direct. He'll come back to direct if they do it. Yeah, but it's got to make two bill. That's what they already said.
Starting point is 02:09:33 I think he gives up on it if it doesn't. If this one turns out to be disappointing, I think this is the end. He said he doesn't want anybody else directing it, so I'd be shocked if anyone else does it. Same. I'll go back to the next one in a second. STO Disney support for Roxy. I think the kid who plays rich in it, welcome to Derry would make an adorable Miguel in a live action Coco. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:09:53 You're not the first person to say that. A lot of people have been saying. I've seen that too. It would be great. But the question is, how old is he? He's probably, yeah. I don't know, actually in real life. In the show, he plays Cuban.
Starting point is 02:10:03 I don't know what his actual background is. Oh, yeah. Kaz, CT5 LV. John's comment on Sean Penn and character likability around me of Drew McQueenie's episode of VOR. Very interesting discussion of Lawrence of Arabia and the likeability of Lawrence.
Starting point is 02:10:16 Yeah. That's why I thought that variety, Carl, I'll respect to Clayton, that variety article he wrote the other day was just utter nonsense. The idea that likeability factors into who wins awards and who does it in terms of the characters. Nonsense.
Starting point is 02:10:30 Nathan Drake went to see Avatar and the most memorable part was the Odyssey extended preview that was the movie. That movie looks effing amazing. I can't. Christian, I think you skipped Greenie from Oz like five back. Sorry to be on you today.
Starting point is 02:10:44 Just read it because it's not coming up for me. Who would you, Greenie from Oz, who would you cast a Sina and Kurt Engel in a biopic? Oh my God. That's impossible. Yeah, that's impossible to cast. I mean, because, like, you'd have to find, you'd have to find people that just were up and coming the, I don't, I don't know. Like, yeah, I mean, a young Mark Wahlberg to play, Sina.
Starting point is 02:11:05 Yeah, I could see that 100%. A young Danny DeVito for Kurt Ang, done. Yeah. Savage. Two things real quick. I was in the second season of Scrubs as a glorified extra. So when you guys watch that show, try to catch a heavier Roka walking around in Scrubs. And Roxy is 100% right on Plurbas.
Starting point is 02:11:23 We're not going to get all the answers. So don't prepare. So prepare he's up for that. CB the legend one. Love the Avatar 3. My theater really reacted positive to the Tuesday trailer. Okay. There you go.
Starting point is 02:11:34 Derek. Sorry, I can't stay long. It came in for a bit and what an impact you had. It's busiest time of year for me. Love the channel, as always. Thank you, Derek.
Starting point is 02:11:41 Keep going, brother, and Roxy. Congratulations on the healthy relationship. I wish all well in this upcoming new year. Are you with somebody? Are you with somebody? Are you going to help? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:11:51 What? You're going to watch the show sometimes. I'm sorry. I'm very excited. I'm going on my first ever like vacation with somebody. Nice. I'm happy for you. Very, very happy for you. Thanks. It's good.
Starting point is 02:12:08 It's only been a couple months. It's going well. All right. Let's see. Next one. And this is Shay. I want to see some chicken beaks. Not going to happen though. Facility guy. Second doomsday trailer is in my library server. It's encrypted like the first one. He told us the first one was in her. So I'm like it's You know Of course they're putting a lock on it Go pal in dark fate
Starting point is 02:12:28 The CGI was so bad I didn't realize it was supposed to be Arnold Walking into the bar and killing John It was so bad So bad Maybe really bad I am D Blake I'm 34 John
Starting point is 02:12:38 Ha ha ha in reference to happen Yeah a few more years A few more years Eclipse 77 Speaking of the Paul brothers Did any of you come across the video of Logan Getting roasted by Chelsea Green She shut him up so good
Starting point is 02:12:49 It was satisfying Everyone always says I look like her Do you guys think that? Yeah, I can see that. Oh, yeah. I can see that. Yeah. Let's see.
Starting point is 02:12:59 So Derek says it's a bomb if it doesn't make its budget. What's the Odyssey's budget? Do we know? Oh. Let's see. Maybe $250 million. Let's see. The Odyssey budget right now is $250.
Starting point is 02:13:10 Yeah. So if it doesn't make, you don't think it's going to make $250 million. Derek, come on. I think you're right. I think you are the most generous person in the history of this show. I think Roxy is right. I think you just want to donate that money. It'll make your best.
Starting point is 02:13:22 billion plus he's saying he doesn't kind of make 250 million dollars come to make 250 million in two weeks come on there there there's no way you believe that he doesn't believe uh Hank Pimp I am from Ohio and Logan Paul is our greatest pride oh he's he's done a lot man I'm sure I wonder how much he's actually if he's donated anything donated anything uh C B the legend for christmases is my favorite expert is that true um I am D Blake I respect both of you and John's opinion on after the hunt it just wasn't for me. That's fair. That's fair. Totally fair. Kalea Iris Garcia, well, number one thing to stream, if Home Alone,
Starting point is 02:13:59 if Home Alone for the holidays. Okay. If you're watching a Christmas movie or in general. I mean, I would, I would, I mean, look, we've been talking about one battle after another. I would say that one. Emily and Paris. That's a good one, too. Oh, my God. He's, good.
Starting point is 02:14:16 It's Emily. She's in Paris. Oh, my God. Actually, she's, like, kind of in Rome. So just think if you're home alone, don't watch something that will make you upset. You pick something like fun and silly. Greeny from Oz, I'd love to see more original story from Cameron. If any of you all know, let him know for me. Or into best cross with zombies to tanks.
Starting point is 02:14:38 Yeah, I want to see him do something else. I mean, similar to like, you know, what I say about Googler and stuff too, I want to see them go outside. You have me two more minutes. All right. I'm so happy to be here for that long. Speaking of Riz Ahmed, did anyone watch Relay? Mixed feelings on the ending by the song.
Starting point is 02:14:51 No, I did. I did not watch it. No. Okay, Brody Bruce. Have any of you watched The Last Frontier? And if so, thoughts, it was pretty okay for me, not great but good. You did see it? I didn't see it.
Starting point is 02:15:01 Yeah, I interviewed Jason for the channel for it. He was very kind to give me 10 minutes. Well, love that guy. Immediately love that guy. Show is good, not great. That's absolutely right. It's not as good as it should have been. Hey, there you go.
Starting point is 02:15:14 Yeah, not great. That's good. Nathan, Avatar Fire and Ask, John. You're great. I mean, there you go. We only have quite a couple left. So, all right, let's see. Next one, again, we got 152 here.
Starting point is 02:15:29 Armada. Odyssey is now Matt's third movie of getting home. That's true. That's true. DJK's gifted 10 memberships. Battery. Christian, I'll bet money that's Glenar is bat bat. Not Batman.
Starting point is 02:15:43 You ain't? No. Now, Ajor, Arona. I'll bet you. You want to bet that you don't think she's going to be willing? I would take that bet. You would take it? I wouldn't take it yet.
Starting point is 02:15:53 It would take that yet. If it's the budgets? Yeah. They would both fit the budgets. Yeah, it's true. I'm talking about it. I hope you had a wonderful 26 chat included.
Starting point is 02:16:01 Thank you. Shea. Bobby. So the three of you in the chat. How did you guys get good at editing YouTube videos and thumbnails? I always feel like I overthinking in which affects my desire to put stuff in. Help. Christian, would you call me good at editing YouTube videos and thumbnails?
Starting point is 02:16:16 I think he's including you because Bobby's the best. So it took, you look, you look at some of the, I just working with people, Greg Elbow was very, very helpful in helping me out and showing me some tricks and things. And so it just asking people who have done it and then also having a team, to be honest with you. Never getting stale. It changes all the time. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:38 Yeah. John? Yeah. Yeah. Learn to do it. You have to learn to do it. And I hear you about getting lost in your head. I can't even tell you how many times I haven't done a video.
Starting point is 02:16:48 because I lost my head thinking about how much editing I would have to do to make it. But you got to get over it, man. That's the game. Nine voices, nine four, zero one. I'm torn on the Odyssey. I understand why people love Nolan, but his films do nothing for me. I hated Interstellar so much. I haven't seen one of his since.
Starting point is 02:17:03 I love Greenville. Hey, hot take. I don't agree with it, but that movie wasn't for me either, but a lot of his movies are. Armada, 8.YT. Another role, Finstack. One battle after knows locked a hundred percent. 100%. He called in the other day, Ron.
Starting point is 02:17:18 when Steph had no idea really who I forget that they yeah they don't know each other different eras different era Armada 8 YT Sarat looks awesome you'll see it no didn't um okay let's see CB the legend Roker you know anything you can't say about gun I know I know I know that's all right though someone's got to say something joyous roma hey Christian scales finally getting to the show era in Jedi Council and this is where your predictions hold back seven years later God bless that person for going back to Jedi Council. Lauren 6-569. Can we talk about how Christian hates news reporters
Starting point is 02:17:57 that give their opinion and part of his job is to report the news and give his opinion? I don't, it's not, wait. Are you that the Christian she's referring to? Oh, she must be talking with somebody else. Right? Because I don't hate news reporters. And that's not how you spell your name.
Starting point is 02:18:10 So I'm just guessing at somebody else. Which Christian? Is there a different Christian? I don't know what she's saying. You get mad. You get mad when they tell you that he's there for you. You get mad. Right. No, I don't. Wait, I'm so confused by this. Can we talk about how he hates news reporters that give my opinion?
Starting point is 02:18:22 Give their opinion. No, when part of his job is report news and gives his opinion. No, I don't like, I don't like opinion-based news. I don't think they're talking about you, Christian, because I don't make any sense. But I don't like CNN, Fox News, so those types of shows. I'm not fans of those types of shows because I think that just opinion-based shows. That's not my preference. I prefer shows that just talk about news.
Starting point is 02:18:43 Is that what you're talking about? I don't hate news report. I genuinely don't think this person's talking about. Yeah. Okay, that's fair. Armada, it's Shamas. I don't know what that is either, but all right. It's Shalamah. Oh, Shalma.
Starting point is 02:18:57 Julius Wyatt. Oscar hopes this year. Hope a Lordy and Madigan get in. I think Madigan's got a good shot. I hope a Lurdy gets in. He's great in Frankenstein. She's really great in that movie. Rock, remember how stupid I was when you said. You weren't stupid, but you weren't informed. I wasn't. I didn't know, John.
Starting point is 02:19:13 I was like, I was like, I don't like that Lordie guy. Because I had seen that one movie he was in with. With Saltburn. No, no, no, no. I hadn't seen. No, no. It was a different movie. And then Roxy goes, you haven't seen Salt Burn?
Starting point is 02:19:25 I go, he's a guy in Saltburn. Yeah. And I was like him a lot. And he was great in Frankison. Great. He's amazing. Bobby. Priscilla was maybe the one you've seen him in or was it?
Starting point is 02:19:34 No, it was something else. It was, he was Daisy Edgar Jones. I think he was. I'm going to die if I stay here longer. That's right. All right. Go sorry, team. Thank you guys so much.
Starting point is 02:19:42 Thank you for all the support today. We'll finish. You guys rock. Bring it home, boys. You guys got them. Holidays. Much gone. Bye, rocks.
Starting point is 02:19:51 Yeah. All right. Bobby, apropos of nothing, I wish David Johnson was getting more shine. Me too. One of my favorite performances
Starting point is 02:19:57 is this year in Long Walk. I'm with you. I'm sure he'll get more attention in the future though. Yeah. And in Alien Romney. But I think he was, I really feel like he should have been nominated
Starting point is 02:20:06 for Long Walk. I'm with him. Tribal Chief. I think the person was saying Roka and Josh. Oh, are off an anti-gun. Got it. Got it.
Starting point is 02:20:13 Right, right. I can't, I'm not anti-gun. Yeah. legend m m600 merry christmas you guys see the doomsday trailers no you're not on internet yet i'm not i'm not getting suckered into pain for it because you know what they're trying to do uh paul hitchcock roca name dropping malcolm gladwell feels like a dennis merry car man waiting for him to reference the teapod domes candle next it's good and i know the teapod domes candle but no um mike i just mean these self-important critics man some of these self-important critics anyway
Starting point is 02:20:42 mike last just 7104 christian any chance of your old comedy but he's being on your new show i certainly have some of them on the list. Like once I get to more with the casting director and stuff too, yeah, I certainly have them on my list, 100%. Um, C.B. Legend. I think Faggie was needed to rain gun in. Maybe. We'll see. Uh, now this one. KJ. 7, 4, 5, 7. What are your opinions on AI covers of older hip-hop and rock songs on YouTube? These AI songs are more emotion than the original. I'm shocked. I've seen, I mean, I'd be lying if I didn't tell you it. So a couple, like, to there was like there's this one guy who like reacts to them and he listens to him and there's one like a a dx you know like like soul and there's one that um there's one of 50 cent in like old school 50s
Starting point is 02:21:28 and they sound pretty great i'm honestly yeah there's a black guy i follow who does the 1970 soul versions of all these songs he's amazing and how he's able to do them so yeah they're fun to listen to but you know they're just entertainment uh bobby thoughts on paramounts renewed bin with Larry Ellson's guarantee of $40 billion. I still think the foreign financing from the Middle East might trip them up. Yeah, I think it's over. It's a done deal. This is all brand saving and face saving that they're doing
Starting point is 02:21:55 because they don't like that they lost. So they're trying to strong arm everything. They look like children. They look like fucking children. Derek, coming back in, how you want this bet laid out? Now, who's going to take me up on it? It's a question. I'll even pit some honey in the pot. 600 up front and every co-host who joins in, I'll ask
Starting point is 02:22:13 100. I'll tell you what. Derek, I'll make this. This is the bet that I'll make you. If it doesn't make $250 million, I will wear a full chicken suit on the show for two shows. If it doesn't make $250 million worldwide, yes, you put in $600 up front, and I will take the bet that it,
Starting point is 02:22:38 I will wear, I be wearing a chicken suit for two shows. I promise you. If that's what you want, it's got to make $250. If it makes 251, you lose. If it makes 249, I'm wearing a chicken suit. I am to fly cam.
Starting point is 02:22:53 Call it now. Adam Driver for Harvey, Scarjo Reunion. Harvey Dent? Oh, maybe. That would be great. Oh, I saw this coming up here by the yes boy. UFC, Harvey Oluskey was throwing hands of social media influence of Jack Diority team. I made it think of Harlov hoping Andre Slepo.
Starting point is 02:23:10 I was watching it and I was 100% hoping that he was going to knock one of them out. because they had no idea until they realized it when it was too late who they had messed with. Arlowski has put on some weight since then, but it did not matter. He was, there was one guy and this, and one, it was hilarious. Jack Dordy's security guard was throwing a hands and realized real quick who he was and backs away, rightfully so. He's scared out of his mind. This was something out of a movie.
Starting point is 02:23:41 He was taking everybody out and not to, it was, it was great to watch. watch. If I, this is my, if I was president, I would sign an executive order saying that any of these guys who antagonize, you will not be put in prison for knocking them the fuck out. Yeah. Feel free. Have fun. Yeah. Knock them the fuck out. Nonsense what these guys get done. I agree. Derek Johnson. I'll put the money towards Kickstarter. Well, you know, that Roxy's right. It should be over by then by the time that movie comes out. Go, pal, the ref with Dennis Leary, underrated movie. That's true. It's not a bad movie. The ref. Yeah. I've seen it in a long time. It's not bad. I like Dennis. Yeah. Paul Hitchcock. Can my own. and wanted to see
Starting point is 02:24:17 Cina reboot Jim Varnie's Ernest character with Ernest goes to Jim movie. I mean, he'll probably be able to do that. He could do all those if you wanted. I mean, Ricky Skinny, whatever the hell that, that's basically a Yeah, it is. It's true. Armada. Did you all hear about the movie
Starting point is 02:24:30 Michael Chickles playing high school football again as a 60 year old? No. Yeah, it came out a few weeks ago. Oh, I did see. It did some, you know, it did some business. Not great, but did some business. Do you know what I'm annoyed with? And there's probably no reason to be annoyed with this.
Starting point is 02:24:45 Okay. The Kevin James Instagram thing. What's going on with that? Matt, so there was this stupid report coming out that this guy looks just like Kevin James. And it's Kevin James.
Starting point is 02:24:58 And it's like, oh, he's Matt Taylor. He's this coach. And he's, and go to the count and it's Kevin James pretending he's some guy. Hey guys, it's Matt. It's coach Matt here. And it's it.
Starting point is 02:25:11 It's Kevin James. And people are like, oh, is it really him? It's not him. go fly Kevin James to just go stand next to him. Exactly. It's not, and some movies got coming out.
Starting point is 02:25:21 And I don't really blame Kevin James for doing it. But look, is that really him? Like the report, it's so stupid. It's so stupid. Greeny from Oz. Yoroka, sent a file suggestion, Dr. Chavaga. Yeah, that will come up at some point. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 02:25:34 We love that movie. David Lean. Hell yeah. Mike Lasheda 7104. Have you guys seen J. Moore's story when Dice did a clean set? It's later. What about the Bible? I don't know if I've seen that story, but you got to say that.
Starting point is 02:25:44 Yeah, it's a very funny story. I'm married to Jeannie Boss. What a weird fucking world problem. Yeah, yeah. All right, that's it. Okay. So 156, pretty damn. That's one of the best performances in quite a while.
Starting point is 02:25:57 Suck it a D, y'all. 156. All right, John, where can the good people find you? What's going on on the channel?
