Ladies and gentlemen, man.
Ladies and gentlemen.
Good, my damn it, it's Monday.
What do you expect?
What's up, everybody?
Welcome to another brand new episode of S.E.N. Lide this morning.
So happy to have you all with us.
I hope you all had a really good weekend, a relaxing weekend.
Hope you got to watch what you wanted to watch,
hang out with the people you wanted to hang out with.
We are so grateful that you've come to join us live.
Sorry, we're starting a little bit late.
Had some technical difficulties.
We had to square away.
You guys know what it feels like.
Just like Wanda said, a case of the Mondays, am I right?
So we're going to get into so many things we're going to talk about here from the world of entertainment,
but you know we've got an awesome crew coming to you on Monday morning.
I am the outlaw, John Roker, sitting in from our brother Christian Harloff,
but we are joined, as always, by Steph's up bra on Mondays.
How are you, Steph?
What's up?
I'm good.
I feel the Monday vibes, though.
It's been real today.
Technology isn't working, but we're here.
We're alive.
Yeah, maybe Mercury's in retrograde or something.
So check here.
It just ended.
Oh, we just ended?
I know. I don't understand.
It's like,
maybe it's the last,
maybe it's the last whip of the tail before it goes.
That's it.
That's it.
Brett Sheridan,
how are you?
How are things?
Does my beard,
is a beard worth,
it's worth a thousand words right now?
That's how I'm feeling.
You bet it.
I looked in the mirror and I went,
what in the hell is going on with you?
You need to self-care.
No,
no.
I like it.
I just want to nestle my face inside of it.
The wife does not like this beard.
Fair, fair.
Joining us always, Marzonia.
What's up, Marzonia?
How are you?
I'm good, I'm good.
Watched a lot of stuff as usual this weekend.
And I'm here on a Monday.
Let's do this.
Let's do this.
Is that Army Hammer eating a heart behind you?
What is that?
Oh, my friend.
Is that too far away?
Already?
No, Roga.
I'm with that.
That's funny.
You're with that.
Yeah.
Yeah, I eat hearts for breakfast.
I eat livers for lunch and I eat your soul, Ryan, for dinner.
Ow!
Sounds like a healthy meal.
I drink your milkshake.
Yeah, what is it?
Is that dawn of the day?
Is that what that is?
What is that?
That's my friend Tom eating some lobster.
Nice.
In San Francisco and a nice restaurant.
I'm sure I appreciate you putting that picture up.
All right, Ryan Nelson.
What's going on with you, man?
Yes, we skirted around it a lot in the intros.
There were technical difficulties to begin.
but we're back.
Great to see you guys.
I missed you last week.
I'm sorry.
I got to miss Steph hosting.
And Carson Wentz got traded.
Yeah.
There's so much.
The Sixers lost.
Just.
Right.
Oh, my gosh.
You were riding high, and I don't know, we tried to tell you to stop having
confidence in Philadelphia sports, but you don't listen.
And, you know, your hope springs eternal in that crazy city.
But, yeah, it's looking bad right now.
It's looking bad.
Although, you know, Embed had a nice career game from what I,
I understand last night.
So over the weekend.
Like the 8th straight, 20 point plus.
All right.
Yep.
Yeah.
Anyway, let's get into some entertainment news.
And ladies, Jim, before we do remember, stream lab, super touch small bots.
These are the things that make the engine function here at SCN and all the Shmodown Entertainment Network.
We just had a phenomenal pay-per-view on Friday.
Two incredible matches.
We are going to talk about them on the show.
If you haven't seen them, I hate to break it until you.
We'll give you spoiler warnings.
But we are going to talk about these two matches on the show.
But one of the reasons we can do all the things we do, the things that keep the lights on are your contributions every day, your streamlap, super chat, Smobots.
Show your appreciation for the incredible content you get from SCEA network every day.
So we set them all in.
All right, Alex, where shall we start, my man?
All right, let's get into this main topic.
We may get into some mild spoilers for last week's episode of Wanda Vision.
Okay.
So if you wear, with that last episode, with that last, sorry, with the last two episodes of Wanda vision inbound, we may be getting slightly longer episodes.
with the upcoming eighth episode,
rumored to be clocking in at 40 minutes,
not including credits.
There's plenty of story to tell in these final episodes
who Rooka. Are you glad we're getting
slightly protracted episodes?
Yeah, I mean, it means our reviews are going to be longer.
We passed two hours with our most recent review insane.
But 40 minutes for a show
seems about standard for these kinds of shows.
So the fact that it's not going to the hour,
which a lot of people said was the rumor a week ago,
it never was confirmed by anybody at Disney.
or anybody at Marvel, but now we're going to 40 minutes.
It makes sense.
We've got so many different storylines that have been introduced now,
so many characters, you've got to wrap it up.
So I'd rather have more than less,
but they've been able to do a lot with a little
in terms of time per episode.
So I'm excited to see what they can do
with a little more extra time.
What do you think, Steph?
I agree.
I think that, you know, it's hard to trust the creative.
Sometimes when you want to watch 40, 60 minute episodes,
I totally get it.
I know with the Mandalorian season one,
a lot of people were upset that the episodes weren't 40 minutes
because that's what they were expecting.
And I think that's what we're trained to expect.
But then I think the Mandalorian, like Wanda Vision,
has gained viewers' trust where a few episodes in
and you're realizing that they're all staying around 30 minutes or less,
they're getting a lot in there.
I've not left an episode where I'm like, you know what?
They could have gone longer at this scene or this part
that wasn't explored enough.
I haven't felt that way.
So the fact that they're giving 40 minutes,
I think means that they need that 40 minutes.
And it will be worth it.
So I'm really looking forward to it.
It just means that there's more story to tell.
And especially coming off last week when we had a big reveal and there's a lot to move forward
before the season ends.
This makes sense.
Yeah.
And they said they've spent,
I think it's Paul Bettney who said they spent more money on this than they did on Avengers
Endgame for the effects on the series.
So I think I read that somewhere.
So that's kind of crazy to consider,
which seems to me we're heading to a massive, massive battle with superpowers
at some point down the road here in the next two episodes.
Brett, are you caught up at this point?
Have you been enjoying the show?
Surprise, surprised.
I did watch it.
We watched it last night.
Brett, Brett, Brett.
I just remembered.
Oh, yeah, I didn't do Friday, so I didn't have to talk about it.
I think that my wife and I,
I need to rewatch some,
um, some, some Marvel movies.
Yeah. I don't know. It's starting to get like, we're like,
who's this? Who's the what? What's going on? And then she keeps going,
wait, why is vision dead again? And I said, wait, I about it the end. So that's what a lot of
this has been for us. And again, I don't, and I started to be like, oh, casual fans can handle
this. And now I think it's getting even more into this like you kind of have to,
do some research and know about some different stuff to follow this.
So I don't know if this is going to have a big casual fan drop,
but it's going to be longer of us being confused.
I feel like they should do like a pop-up video when you watch these things.
Like a version of a Siri where you go,
we just go, Siri, who is that?
And the show just stops.
Yeah.
This is.
Yeah.
You remember him from a way he did this or that.
That would be croak, you should do that.
That would be awesome because I like how prime when you pause it can show you who the main actors on the scene are.
But that's like leveling up.
Also, I have to just mention this on air because I wasn't able to last time.
Nate underscore Sudfield donated $20.
I am now that Carson is gone who has two thumbs and going to be your best chance at a quarterback.
This guy.
I pray to God, no.
think it's someone else.
Gosh.
Called out.
You will.
Yeah.
Oh, but when Monica,
like just the scene where she gets like
super saying on us basically,
that was so sick.
That is what is making me so
excited for the next episode.
I mean, what a great
job the show has done
to introduce
two separate possible
heroes
and villains that will carry
on past the series. Certainly
one, I think will carry on as a superhero
past the series. I don't know if the
villain will carry on. We shall see, but I hope
so. But what a great job the show
has done to launch these. And then maybe
Loki lay the groundwork
to launch their two biggest things coming down
the road with Fantastic Four
and X-Men possibly. So just
incredible work being done by everybody
involved. You're so right step.
Alex, what do you think about this? A long
trailer? I mean, sorry, long episode.
Are you happy about this?
50 Shades of Geek donated $20.
Pay everyone.
Sorry for the plug.
Just wanted to say that my fan league debut match premiered yesterday on the Multiplex Entertainment YouTube channel.
I would love it if you could check it out.
Just ignore how they butchered my name.
Welcome back, Jamal.
Thank you.
How hard is it to butcher 50 Shades of Geek?
I need to know.
I need to know.
Yeah, Alex, talk to me.
Will you and Ben be whispering longer into the night now?
Oh, yeah.
Actually, probably, yeah.
That just means Friday mornings are just going to be rest days.
I won't be able to fit a workout in or also be a zombie on the show on Fridays.
But, yeah, let's spend in the...
I donated $20.
What's the bigger breakup?
Ken Ye and Kim or Daft Punk?
Can we set some goals?
Brett doing around the world by Daft Punk.
Another goal, Steph, doing stronger by Kan Ye.
Okay.
Wow.
Yeah, what do you think, Steph?
I would say the one that involves four children.
That's a little bit more.
But for drama, DathPunk, maybe.
That song has three words in it, right?
Yeah, it does.
I think you can handle that.
I can pull that off.
I'm about be able to do that with Acapella.
Yeah, well, maybe we'll do Sheridan at, what's a say,
750 if we get to 750 let's do Sheridan around the world at 750 and then Steph's a bra
what do you say a thousand Steph a thousand yeah let's get it one K baby one K
come on let's get to one K everybody butcher that song and ironically stronger part of daft punk
death punk doing that song as well so there you go yeah uh all right Alex backs you've been whispering
to sweet nothings to each other over uh Wanda vision toxic yeah so I feel like they got to fit in so
much they're setting up all of phase four pretty much here and then this is like act uh last week's
episode was kind of like act one of act three of the show and so it's like it's kind of feels like each
act was a movie and like a chilely this is like a trilogy of movies in the way yeah uh give me give me
all the ganda vision give you all the wandavision for sure uh Ryan Nelson uh have you been
enjoying this on your on your week where you were busy on another project did you get
chance to catch up and get into it yet or no?
That's what I've, yep, it was on another, yep.
I did get caught up.
I did watch it.
And it's so funny hearing Brett say how confused he is because that is all I hear from
my parents 24-7 is, oh, we got to go back and watch end game.
And then they're like, wait, who's that girl who's like, all the powers?
Then we watch Captain Marvel.
And they're like, wait, how did, how did Fury get, then we go back and watch, you know,
Age of Ultron.
They're like, oh, that's how vision, but how did she, how did they get in a relationship with
Wanda?
and I'm like, it kind of happened off screen, but like you don't really know, and they come from the same stone.
And it's a lot.
Like, you really got to do your homework for this show to kind of be on top of it all.
I'm really liking it.
Again, I love how different it is.
My biggest issue with, I think, the entire series has just been the pacing.
I think too little happens in each one.
And I wish the focus was more on, like, vision figuring out, like, oh, geez, something has happened to me in the past and more on Monica Rambo.
instead of kind of splitting it equally between these three storylines,
I think next week's going to be huge change.
We got that big reveal at the end of this week.
So it might go in a completely new direction,
and I can't wait to see that.
Although this whole report of it's going to be the longest 40 minutes,
that means it's probably going to be like 28 minutes.
Because the credits are 12 minutes long.
Before credit.
It's 40 minutes before credits.
And that's confirmed?
Well, the source was someone who has gotten in right before.
He says it's 47 minutes total and then it's 40 minutes, 39 minutes without minutes.
It's Doomcock.
But Ryan, I think that they can't really focus too much on Doomcock or the fact that on vision, I think they're spending, everyone wants more vision because Paul Bettney and he's just incredible.
But I do think for the story that they're trying to tell in the phase four what they're trying to set up, I get like they have to put more time into Monica.
and Wanda.
I love Monica Rambo.
Yeah, she's great.
Heris is really killing it, man.
Less is more, though, right?
For me, with vision, I believe less is more.
Yeah.
Because I think something big is coming for him
that I think will devastate people.
And I wonder which direction they go in.
I'm of two minds about it.
I don't want to believe the third option,
which is everybody lives happily ever after.
I believe in one of the other two options
where we get to see him possibly die again or that, I don't know, should I say?
I just, I don't know, was that a spoiler if I say?
What do you think?
Well, this might go line.
Because I want to be able to say, I want to be able to say, I called it on Twitter.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, well, this might go in line with something you've said in the past weeks, John.
Like, you've been kind of critical of how they've handled the military personnel.
Yes.
We kind of got more insight as to their agenda.
Yeah.
I'm still not on.
I'm alone on Team Hayward.
I'm alone that Hayward is doing what he thinks is best to protect the country in the world.
Just because he was in visions, trying to resuscitate vision, it doesn't necessarily mean he was resuscitating him for nefarious reasons.
So I don't see it yet.
You know, someone commented on our YouTube review.
They're like Hayward kills vision.
Roka, still not sure if he's a bad guy.
No, I'm not saying that.
I'm just saying that there needs to be more here.
And he didn't seem like a bad guy this time around.
So I don't know.
We shall see.
I think it will add more depth to his character.
Because if he is or isn't, even if he does have the better intentions,
most people do like in all superhero rounds, there's like some mega mine that thinks that
they're doing the good thing because they don't have the power.
So they're using it for like by the people for the people.
And it ends up being more destructive.
That's an interesting plot line too.
Yeah.
I like that.
Could you see vision?
This would be crazy.
But could you see him having to actually kill Wanda to prevent?
No, I don't think that's happening.
I would have to love that.
I do think he might sacrifice himself to save Wanda.
And in doing so, we'll have his memories permanently wiped.
And he will become the gray vision, go with the West Coast Avengers, and have no romantic
relationship with Wanda, and have no connection, no memory, no nothing.
That's what I think is going to happen.
My heart.
Which is what I think would be such a
satisfying ending.
But I don't know if they don't do that.
I don't know if they have the guts to do that.
The Roka says.
The Roka says.
February 22nd, 2021.
I mean, people who know West Coast Avengers,
they know what happens to vision.
So we shall see.
Do you think Benny would carry on this role, though?
he is kind of like not getting old he's oh sad no
brunt you're a long in the tooth for you speak your truth oh is he
oh is he over 30 Alex oh my god you are the Hollywood problem Alex
correct I think he would definitely keep playing it because
Because I don't think his role needs to be very, like 21 years old.
He can, envisions a type of character that can play into it for a long time, like Iron Man.
Yeah, he's not like data.
Like data in Picard in Picard, that motherfucker was looking old.
Androids are not supposed to wrinkle for God sakes and he had wrinkles all over the place.
I think you can hide wrinkles better in red makeup than you can in the white makeup that data used in Picard.
but you know Alex is the kind of guy
when Steph turns 30 he's talking to Christian
you know she's got a little
Oh
Christ
I saw a single wrinkle
Come to her front
A little new blood in here
Is that a crow's foot?
No
I think Alex
Is that a titty sagging?
No
Hey Ryan
Make sure to clip out
and remove this from
just like that we lost
broke his
Brett con
Red con
right
yeah
uh
anyway
Brett
what's that Alex
what's that
um
anyway all right
uh yeah
so we'll see
I mean it's going to be fun
in the next two episodes
and I like that they're not
revealing the length of the episodes
until like the week before
and sometimes not until the morning of
so I love that
because we should just be
it's okay not to have all the information
ladies gentlemen
just go in and enjoy it, you know, and have some fun with it.
So we shall see, but they got a lot to wrap up.
All right, what are you going to say, Ryan?
Do you think the majority of this one, just maybe the additional time is going to have to do with the character that we learn more about at the end of last week?
Yeah, possibly.
A lot of people think this episode is going to be all about that character that was revealed this past week.
And it was everything in retrospect to that person's point of view.
But remember, Game of Thrones, every season of Game of Thrones, it was the number.
ninth episode that was the really
penultimate or
you know incredible episode
it was the 10th episode that was more of the denouma
more of the you know kind of decompression
so I wonder if they'll follow that pattern
for this because remember this is the first
official Disney plus
MCU TV series
right the other ones were Marvel Netflix
they weren't necessarily tied into the
MCU although some stuff was mentioned
this is overtly MCU
under Feige's directions so I wonder
if they'll do the pattern of the
the next to last episode being the big one or the last episode being the big one we shall see you know
and there's still those rumors about that phantom 10th episode hiding somewhere so especially now that
there's a two-week break between god vision and falcon and intrace soldier so i don't know
there uh all right anything else to discuss on this or should we move on
i think we're good yeah we're good okay well if they're clipping this out thanks everybody

Progressive Presents adjusting to the suburbs.
I never thought about space in my cramped apartment, but in this house, all I see is empty space.
The sofa and ottoman look like tiny islands in a sea of hardwood floors.
I could get two Ottomans in the living room, but then I'd need another sofa.
I could tell people I'm into minimalism.
Anyway, when you save with Progressive by mumbling your home at auto,
that's the easy part of adjusting to the suburbs.
Progressive casualty insurance company coverage provided in service by affiliates and third-party insurers.
What's next, Alex?
Oh, wait.
What shall we jump into?
Brett?
I think Ryan's going to tell us a little something about something that he seemed super excited about that.
Yes.
If you piqued my interest was this new sponsor, go ahead.
Yeah, I'll peak your interest.
I mean, Brett, you remember way back.
when you were old enough to play vision and you were getting classes.
Yeah, yeah.
Guess what?
There's this new on, there's this program online where you don't, you can be any age and take classes.
It's called Masterclass.
And with Masterclass, you can learn from the world's best minds anytime, anywhere, any place,
and at your own pace.
You can learn how to do documentary filmmaking from Ken Burns.
That's actually the class I sign up for as well as Gordon Ramsey and cooking.
And it's not Gordon Ramsey yelling.
at you, pressuring you to cook, it's like a gentle Ramsey. It's a great Ramsey. So with Masterclass,
there's over a hundred types of different classes you can take from around the world, a wide
range of classes as well. You can do that thing you've always wanted to do and do it closer than
you think. Steph, you've also been taking some classes with this, right? Yeah, I actually
love Masterclass. I'm never the type of person that signs up for these kind of things, but I am
one of the most curious people and like to learn,
and I know a lot of people do.
And there's so many classes you can take.
A few that I've done is comedy with Judd Apatow.
I'm going to do the Bob Eiger teaches business strategy and leadership,
because why not learn from someone that freaking successful?
Oh, I did writing with Aaron Sorkin.
This is when I was writing my first movie script,
and I just really wanted to learn where to start.
And that was really helpful.
He dumbs it down, obviously,
Sorkin's a genius, but he actually speaks to you in a way that you can understand,
especially if you haven't gone to writing school, school for writing or filmmaking.
And then the one that I'm on now that I'm obsessed with is Issa Ray's creating outside the
lines. I just think she's one of the best creators in the business right now. So to be able to
hear from her and learn while I'm creating different projects has been really dope.
Yeah, there's just a plethora of different classes you can take. I highly recommend you
check it out. You can get unlimited access to every masterclass. And as
As an SCN listener, you can get 15% off an annual membership.
So just go to masterclass.com slash SCN Live.
That's masterclass.com slash SCN Live for 15% off of Masterclass.
Do it, people.
Wow.
That does sound something fun for an old guy like me that doesn't think you can learn anymore.
Right, Alex?
It is.
Straight up.
You can have it on in the background.
I'll do when I'm doing my makeup or getting ready.
I see my wife actually getting into this.
She's constantly, I think she's in a place right now too with like her job and stuff
and she's thinking about different routes and things.
And I don't know.
This is really cool.
Yeah, I did the documentary one with Kembrose.
I did, I studied film in college, but didn't take many documentary classes.
And I found myself making more documentaries than like actual narratives.
So just hearing from a guy who's as an expert in that craft as him and just how to like treat your subject.
and the relationship, it's really fun and easy, and you're truly getting the advice from an actual
working professional.
Why did I think Ken Burns was, you know, like as old as Ansel Adams or something like that?
I mean, like, I don't know, that, that Ken Burns effect, I feel has been around for so long.
He's as old as Paul Benning, yeah.
Yeah, I assumed he was gone long time ago, but I saw him on a program the other day and went,
wow, look that.
Who would have thought?
Who would have thought?
He still hadn't recorded.
Alex, the wheel always goes around.
It's not that I'm turning 47 on the third, Alex, or anything like that.
That's, I'm not having any age issues going on in my-
We aren't such a good generation for aging.
Like, I feel like finally the millennial generation is like,
what are we doing calling 30-year-olds old?
That makes zero sense.
Like, no one's, I think, I mean, really, this is cringy, but age is just a number.
Like, I know people, like, I've been,
that are like 60. They act like they're 40, not in a bad way. Like, they're just so full of life.
So, um, Alex, I think you can learn from this conversation.
Alex, I think you should write a song about aging and dedicate it. Yeah. Yeah, dedicated to me.
And Alex, you know, I'm only giving you a hard time. And I had just had to jump on that.
No, no, no. Don't apologize. Alex loves to give other people hard times. This is about time he took a little bit of shit himself.
I'm cool with this.
Jimmy Jamar, Jamon, Giannis Cornilson donated $20.
Thank you. Screw this.
Philly boy skipped out on a great week.
Oh, my God. At $1,200, let's hear him sing that return of the Jedi song from Remaster.
Enjoy the The Suck.
Wow.
If we get to $1,200, Ryan Nelson will sing anything you tell him to.
The one of return of the Jedi?
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
Jeez.
That works.
That works.
1,200, let's go.

Because we're providing you so much entertainment, making you laugh.
And you know, we all love you.
And we want you to contribute to help the show going.
So many of you speak about how much the show helps you during tough times.
Help us every.
day by sending in a stream lab super chats and schmobats and remember everything's on the table you can ask us
anything it's always fun to hear what you guys have to say about the world of entertainment and beyond
and anything with the schmode out and all that jazz so uh all right Alex let's move on to our next thing
all right the full trailer for invincible premiered during friday's skybound expo creator fest and showed more
of the super heroics to come on amazon prime video rocca what did you think of the trailer and are you
excited for the march 26th release to date uh yes I like the trailer very much
much. I like that they're showing more and more of the story, which is a really, really difficult and
tough story. I like this. They went in on the blood. It shows this is going to be like an R-rated
type of animated series. I love that. We got more voiceover work, more emotional beats to latch
onto. So we see what's coming and what's coming is going to be halacious. And I hope you all
are ready. And of course, another great, I'm anticipating another great piece of work from Robert Kirkman,
just like you did with Walking Dead. So what do you think, uh, Jen? I'm sorry, Steph.
What do you think about this situation?
Jen is like the funniest name to go to.
I don't know who Jen is.
I don't even know it.
Hello, I'm Jen.
Okay, so I love animated shows.
I love animated shows.
I love dark animated shows.
So this is right up my alley.
I think this is the per this is coming at the perfect time.
I think it makes so much sense.
The cast itself is incredible.
I can't imagine like being.
being an A-list celebrity and not getting picked for that cast,
I would be kind of upset by it.
Like, that's like an A-list team right there.
And I love the blood.
Like, I think them like playing into the gore and the more adult content with this show is
going to really work and bring on new viewers.
Because I do think that there is more people, I feel like during quarantine, I don't
know how you feel, but that are getting way more into animated shows.
All of my friends are now like exploring anime and manga series and, but this is,
is this I think will be really fun and I do like how they show they're showing more of the story and
this trailer showed enough but not too much to give up everything that's going to happen yeah that's
great point I know my friend Shannon he is ripping through all the DC animated films on hbo max
goddard's got that anime show he's doing with ace so they could always this people have the time to
jump into this stuff uh Ryan what do you feel about this uh trail did you like it did you enjoy the
animation style and the character work being done here I love the style
I think this looks great.
Honestly, I don't watch a lot of the DC animated movies.
I've seen a few, though.
I've watched the big one like Gaslight and, oh, my gosh, the one from the 90s, I'm totally blanking.
Oh, Fantasm.
And I'm slowly getting more and more into all those because it's its own little universe and there's a huge fan base.
And I know Invincible Skybound helped out on.
So, yeah, this looks great.
I think this looks really fun.
I know stuff's really into the dark anime.
stuff and maybe I'll get into that after watching this.
Join me, brother.
Join me on the dark side.
Sheridan, you saw this trailer.
Do you love this thing? What do you think?
Well, I think the darkest animated thing I've ever seen is watershipped down and it was way too
young to watch that one.
But no, I was actually, it threw me off because I wasn't expecting it.
I watched it and it started out as this kind of like,
y'all this is a oh this is a fun story high school kid trying to figure himself out and what the fuck
like just blood splattering everywhere so i'm like oh this is this is definitely an interesting
take and something that um i you know not just because of my blood lust but um i would definitely
want to check this out because it does looks like a great story and looks super fun um but probably
not anything not probably definitely not something i'm watching with my daughter and hoping these
aren't the kind of animated
programs she's finding when she logs
into our Netflix instead of
her child account so she can watch anime
so. Fair point.
That's smart. Alex,
like Brett
here said, there's a lot of blood here.
A lot more fighting. We certainly get more
with the villains in this thing, but then we get that
twist with his dad. So
thoughts on this, man. Yeah, knowing
where the comics
take the story, I'm just like
super excited to see what happens with
super excited to see how they handle all that and yeah and just how graphic it gets it's going to be
it's going to be a lot of fun i want to do some of those like game of thrones videos like first time
viewers like you know the book readers who yeah that their um their friends watch it and tape them
reacting to everything what do you mean graphic yeah i mean like what do you mean graphic oh just
bloody okay you went to game of thrones i was like okay that can mean a few things
Yeah, true. Good point.
It's not Bridgett, but...
But it's weird. I'm, like, more excited for this than Falcon and Winter Soldier right now.
I think it's just because I love this source material.
And, yeah, this is the year of Stephen Young.
Let's let's go.
Yeah, absolutely.
Now, one of the main guys has kind of half gray hair.
Is that okay with you?
Or do you think they should alter the design?
They should alter the...
Re-enimate, yeah.
Okay.
Pretty mistake.
Hasn't he heard of Just for Men?
Come on.
Yeah, that M. Night Chamelon movie, I'm not excited for it.
Oh, boring.
Where's the black socks and sandals?
Boring.
Yeah, I think it's great.
And I'm just looking forward to it.
I'm almost sick of waiting for it because I want to see it already.
And maybe I can shake the tree over at Amazon Prime
to get access to these a little bit early
because I'd love to see them and review them.
And I'm looking forward to Stephen Ewan
as well, especially on the heels of Manari.
And Nomad Land dropped over the weekend.
Ladies and gentlemen, for the love of God,
please watch Nomad Land.
Please watch them.
Oh, you finally saw it.
Oh, my God.
Oh, man, it is.
I mean, I use the word.
Do you think?
No, I don't.
I think, I really liked it.
I think it's the best thing I've seen.
But, yeah, you liked it?
Yeah, I think Chloe Zhao might have.
a chance at director i think she's like i think she's incredible what's funny the way you said it's
oh you mean she might have a chance at best director yeah
because like she might be a director directing can you imagine my Asian sister in arms i would
never i would never know that she might have a chance at winning director of the year
because i think she just did such a phenomenal job and she is such a talent to watch and
out for. A movie, I think it's a top contender, certainly. I think the story and what was told
and how they did it is so unique. It's not my favorite type of movie. So I much preferred
Judas and the Black Messiah over that in terms of a viewing experience. Yeah, it's more like
Into the Wild. It's more of an allegaic film that kind of takes you to where it takes you, right?
And whereas, and of course, it's about a nomad and this culture that really exists in this country
in other countries.
And whereas Judas and Blackmun's,
I have very much a charged film
with some very strong moments for sure.
So yeah, I could see that absolutely.
But I think Chloe Zhao is incredible with this movie.
And Francis, I mean, it's going to give it to her again.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, she may be our new Merrill Street,
but the next Merrill Street.
I mean, she's just so always, in contention.
She's like Anthony Hopkins.
Like, she's so good at everything.
It's almost you almost can't now.
dominator every time because you've got to give other people a chance.
She's so everything she does.
The interviews with the actual no-bads that were kind of like pseudo-documentary,
that one about like the one's son, I called.
But it's a moving film.
You got to check it out, you guys.
Speaking of bawling, if you guys haven't read the new Vanity Fair article that dropped this
morning on Zach Snyder with the Anthony Bresnikan.
By the way, shout out to Anthony Breznikan.
EW. I think they part ways EW ends up at Vanity Fair.
That's how it works, ladies gentlemen.
You're a talent. People want to use you.
And the article is one of the most incisive, open articles I've ever read talking about the journey.
And they speak about Zach and Deborah do, Deborah Snyder, about their daughter, Autumn and her struggles with her mental health and the suicidal feelings before she took her own life.
She's powerful stuff.
So, yes, read it for all the Justice League stuff, but really pay attention to those two or three paragraphs.
They speak about that for those of you who struggle with.
I think it's really powerful stuff for people who are in a dark place or whatever.
for them to read for God's sake.
Yeah, all right, where are we on to next, Alex?
All right, next thing we got is that Edgar Wright is on board to direct a new,
more faithful adaptation of Stephen King's novel, The Running Man,
which follows the main character joining a game show in which contestants are allowed to go
anywhere in the world but are chased by hunters sent to kill them.
The story was previously adapted in 1987 and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.
This adaptation will be written by Michael Bacall.
So Roka, are you interested in a new remake and for a new Edgar Wright project?
Sheridan, this is our time, Running Man.
Do you want to see a remake of this?
I mean, Edgar Wright's great, but do you want to see a remake of this, brother?
Not really, no.
I mean, it's, but if I do, it has to be, like, I don't know,
it was so fun, the first one, fun and gory and, I don't know,
like, maybe this one has to just get super, super dark and not have that humor,
but then I don't think, I think it's a totally, yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't,
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
It's like when they did Charlie Chalka Factor.
It's like, just leave it a lot.
But I wonder who you get that's going to match Schwarzenegger's.
How can I say this?
Unusual charm in the movie.
Who do you get under Edgar Wright's direction?
Who do you get to come in?
Is the rock the choice kind of walking in the footsteps
or has he kind of moved past being in ascensions this generation's Schwarzenegger?
I wonder.
But certainly, Steph, because it's a commentary,
kind of about game shows and reality TV in the future.
And certainly that has come to pass for the last decade or so
to consume American lives.
So it might have even more to say in skewering the reality TV culture.
But the premise is based on prisoners, people in prison.
Okay, so I'm kind of with Brett in the sense that we now in 2021,
one, thankfully, to documentaries like the 13th and other information, have a way different
understanding of prison, of prison, the industrial prison complex, the privatization of it,
and the oftentimes messed up nature of it.
So I think if you're going to do a movie that's based on using prisoners, like when we're
using prisoners, was like paying them a dollar a day to take out the fires in California,
it's a really thin line that you're walking where it could be like it's out of touch so um and especially
if the movie part of its gold was comedy that will be tough it's not impossible but i think it will
be tough okay that's a fair point uh what do you think there alex uh i didn't see the original
uh but this seems like it could be more satirical i mean it's edgar right directing it i'm looking at
Michael Bacall who's writing it.
He did Scott Pilgrim,
co-wrote Scott Pilgrim, 21 Jump Street,
22 Jump Street. So it's like,
I feel like there will be a little of a comedic streak
in this and it'll be a lot more fun.
Although I am,
I do love Edgar Wright. He's my favorite director.
I'm not sure if he, I don't think he's made a movie
that he hasn't written.
So we'll see how this turns out.
Oh, wow. Okay, all right.
What do you say there, Ryan Nelson? Do you like this idea of him?
Like, do you like the idea of a remake of,
a film like this that already has
kind of a classic called status.
Shakira donated $20.
Wow.
Steph, your cover of my
song was spot on. Why don't
you have a record deal?
This Paddington wannabe has a lot to learn.
I mean, you're
asking the wrong person. I've been asking
this question every day. I've been waiting
checking my email for record deals.
None of them have hit me up.
What?
I know.
Wow. Oh, wow.
I did catch the Shakira performance.
well done.
Thank you.
The hips did not.
Anyway, I, you know,
personally, I like Edgar Wright a lot.
I would honestly prefer to just keep
him doing original films.
I think he's just such an incredible artist
and filmmaker in that respect and screenwriter.
So I would much rather him do more original work.
Like, he falls in line with the Tarantinos,
the Cohen brothers, where, you know,
I like their original pieces.
However, if this is what's speaking to him,
if this is what he wants to do,
I'm going to watch anything he makes,
and I would actually much rather a filmmaker of his caliber
do this remake than the studio
just handing it off to someone else,
and we get something that's not all that different.
Yeah. I'm trying to think,
I mean, what if he kind of gender reverses it
and makes it a woman and then the commentaries,
and if it's the black woman, the commentaries on the, you know,
our worlds, you talk about stuff on the prison system,
talk about racism, talk about, you know, sexism.
All of that could be kind of encapsulated in,
even within the reality TV world of that and the promise of something better
if you, you know, kind of win this race,
but in the end that you actually don't get something better,
the lies that were told in society that make us stay on that wheel.
There's a lot of it that you could explore in the right hands.
And maybe this is, maybe this is why Edgar Wright decided to do it because,
Alex, as you mentioned, the writer instills in him some confidence that they're on the same page about it.
I don't know.
Steve.
What do you say?
No, no, the, who is writing the Michael Bacall.
Michael Bacall.
From what I'm seeing popping up in the chat that I'm not in.
The book apparently was a lot darker and.
Oh, no surprise.
Everybody's saying that like it wasn't really the film didn't, wasn't like the book.
The book was a different story and it was just loosely.
based on this book. So I'm interested. If I read books, I would be interested in reading
this book. Yeah. That makes more sense. Like if they were going to reboot it into a darker,
more original integrity type form of the premise. Because there is a lot of social commentary
that they could do. And that could be really powerful. Like we just talked about,
Judas and the Black Messiah could be similar where you're like bringing important
undertones of society to the forefront. Yeah. Good point.
All right.
We're off to you next, Alex.
All right.
The Raid Director and Gangs of London, co-creator Gareth Edwards,
is teaming up with Tom Hardy to create havoc,
focusing on a detective caught in a deep web of corruption and conspiracy
that ensnars his entire city.
This movie will be filming in June in Wales,
and will be made for Netflix.
Rokke, are you excited for this new Gareth Edwards project?
Well, I do like Gareth Edwards.
You know, some people
Sorry, my bad, my bad
Garth Evans, I'm sorry, get that, yeah.
So he did the raid.
Yeah, wow.
Yeah, which I just, I want,
if you ever watch Gangs of London,
that's Gareth Evans as well.
And that's a pretty badass show.
So the raid, the action sequences are pretty intense,
but also some of the intrigue and the way he dives into the crime world,
I thought was fascinating.
So combining,
And it's bare, I mean, like, I can I say this correctly.
I want to make sense, I don't want to say this an offensive way, but like his film, his shows, his films, they're very male oriented in terms of the violence, in terms of the fighting and the action and all of that.
You rarely see a woman getting involved in some of those acts.
So casting Tom Hardy, you know, kind of a bigger dude who can play these kind of louder male beats makes sense.
I hope that he's also casting a woman here to go toe to toe with Tom Hardy.
in some way throughout this series throughout this uh show so i'm excited or this film i'm excited about it for
sure uh what do you say there uh bret what do you think a drug deal gone wrong and a bruised
detective must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician's a strange son
sold yeah i'll take it staff i'm keeping it real today
Brett, there's not a day in Brett
Sheridan's life that he's not keeping it all the way 100
for this community. You better put some respect on his name.
I think I'm like that kid that that old
video with the kid like, I like turtles sometimes.
I think it's just like, you know, I like Tom Hardy.
This'll be fun.
Yeah, I think, Brett, honestly.
Oh.
She just got to cancel.
Why?
Honestly, why?
Oh, so close.
Oh, you're back.
Oh, you're back now.
Am I back?
Okay.
Where did I leave off?
Honestly.
Honestly?
Honestly, I love y'all.
Okay, okay.
Let me get back to where she was.
Where was she?
Honestly, I think that this is what they're going for is the brettes where they just want like a good action movie that is has a good actor.
And it's like what kind of like extraction and old guard like those are doing really well for Netflix.
Good point.
So this makes complete sense.
And I think what's more interesting about this story is coming off the Donald Glover and Amazon Prime story.
This is really showing and indicative of where the industry is moving because we've moved to streaming sites.
We thought we were going away from cable and having all of these actors and actresses tied to certain networks.
It's happening again.
And I just think this is the cycle of life.
We are so scared of not having stability and unknown future.
So in business-wise, I think this is what we're going to start seeing more and more.
Okay.
All right.
Alex, do you like this idea of a drug deal gone wrong and a bruised detective kicking a bunch of ass trying to find this sun?
It feels a little bit like, remember the Joaquin Phoenix?
I'm not really here or whatever it was.
Yeah.
You were never really here.
You were never really here.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, like, anything Evans, Evans does.
I want to check out Gangs of London when it's on somewhere more available.
If it is, I don't know, I haven't actually looked.
But I do love the raid and the both raid movies.
I will check out Apostle as well, which he did with Dan Stevens.
Yeah, what's that one coming out?
When's that one coming out?
Do you know?
Let's, I'll check that out.
I'll look for it in a bit.
but yeah he's a great action director I just want to see more from him and as you were saying
I hope there is more female females involved in the action yeah I want to just you know I'm not
trying to cater or pander I'm just saying I've seen him take dudes and have them kick ass in the
underworld I've seen that before give me a new flavor give me a new color don't slide into the guy
richie thing even though I love the guy richie stuff don't slide into it necessarily I think
there's a potential for more here especially when you cast someone like Tom Hardy so
All right.
Apostle did come out in 2018.
Oh, it did?
So I didn't watch that one.
Yeah, you can treat that one out.
Well, Alex, let me tell you something.
You can go to Amazon Prime right.
This is not an ad.
This is go to Amazon Prime right now, Alex.
And you can start a seven-day free trial of AMC Plus.
Watch all the episodes of gangs of London before the trial is up and then cancel it.
So just little.
Okay.
All right.
I shall do that.
Or forget to cancel it and have it for a year and then be like,
hey, we have this.
that's what I do with all the my
subscriptions and things
we still have shutter
we still have shutter
we should watch some stuff
on there
that happened to me with
CBS All Access
I clicked the annual
instead of the monthly
on the free trial
and then I guess
how come I still have access
look
$100
so speaking of which
donate money
all right
yeah
set some money in
I'll unmute it.
Yeah. I'll mute the street.
All right.
All right, Ryan, what do you think?
Do you like this idea?
Are you into these kind of a fight sequence type movies?
Do you like this kind of stuff or do you, are you, I hate violence?
Tell me the truth.
Well, okay.
So if it's one or the other, I don't like violence, but I like it in movies.
I think this is such a great fit.
I think this is right up Tom Hardy's alley.
I mean, him doing shows like taboo, a peeky blinders that fits in right with the same tone.
that Gareth Evans does.
And I love the raid.
The raid and raid two have probably some of the best choreograph fighting I've ever seen on film.
It's just phenomenal.
And it's gangbusters.
And it's the type of, it's like the foreign films that you show people who don't normally watch foreign films.
I guarantee you'll like this.
So I'm really into this.
I think this is a great combination.
This is almost like him teaming up with George Miller and doing Mad Max.
Like he's great at working with these directors who have that specific.
tone with that type of action and I love Mad Max so much talk about him going like
hand in hand with a female charlie's their own they should hit up oh bring them back together
they heard they had a great time on set together so well I mean there's been some time there's been
some time they've spoken about better place now they're in a better place that I don't know
I heard it was great I heard they had a lot of time a lot of as you scratch your neck
I heard it was awesome
It was great
All right well
We'll see what happens
And certainly looking forward to another thing
From Gareth Evans, that'd be awesome
Let's move on to a little bit of
Stereo.
What do you say there?
Brad, you got something going on today at 12 o'clock
With the Christian Quillo?
Again, yes, we've got
We keep changing up the show
It's called What is This Show?
And I think the day the name of it is what
We're going to talk about
It's nonsense with Christian and Brett.
Whatever we want is the description.
And that's pretty much what it is.
We'll get it.
You pop in, though, join the party.
You send in your comments, your questions,
and we're going to either answer them or goof on you.
And it's really fun.
I love it when I get to take.
Somebody will ask a really serious, like,
movie trivia, Smodown question.
I'll go, I'll take this one, Christian.
We're changing the rule books on this completely from now on.
So, yeah, we'll be you doing our usual thing 12 p.m. PST, rocking it on stereo, join the party, get us up to the most followers of anybody. Keep us on that leaderboard.
Been having a lot of fun with it. I know everybody's, I'm really jealous of a whisper show. I think you've created something with that that is just revolutionary. And I wish I would have thought about that one.
But, yeah, come check us out later.
There you go.
All right.
What are we on to next, Alex?
All right.
This wasn't in the notes, but I've, thank you for whoever in the chat reminded me.
They are remaking Train to Busan.
They're making an English language direct remake of that.
And it's going to be directed by Timot Tejanto, who also did the ABC to Death and VHS2.
He did various.
stories in that uh anthology of movies uh rocca what do you think of this do you think we need a
train to buson remake hell no i'm sorry uh i don't want to shit on anyone else's dreams who's
you know get an opportunity to direct the movie but fuck no we don't need a remake of train to buson
what's an american version of this film really going to do better than this film already did
I just don't see that happening.
I don't, no offense to my country,
which I was born in and served and love,
but I don't,
I rarely see an American remake
do a better version of the foreign original.
Spike Lee,
one of the great filmmakers ever made, ever born.
That old boy sucks.
The original is so goddamn good.
So it's like, it's just,
if something is so great, don't touch it.
Don't Americanize it.
I think there's a level of arrogance
in American.
recognizing a great foreign film.
Like, oh, you know, we'll do it here because people don't like to read subtitles.
So we'll do this one.
And maybe we'll do a better job.
Alex, I can't think of any American remake of a great foreign film that was better than the foreign film source.
I just can't think of any.
I don't know if you guys can.
What do you think, Steph?
Do you want to see this?
So you're anti-American, wrote guys?
It just was that.
What's up?
I'm with you.
The arrogance of American.
culture sometimes is hilarious. Like you can't not laugh at what we do. We really do think that we can do
everything better. And it's quite amazing to watch. Like the confidence in it is impressive. But I agree.
Why, why redo it? It just doesn't really make sense to me, but maybe they have some sort of vision
that's different. I think if there's something different about it, then it would be worth it. If not,
than subtitles, I think, should do just.
It's so, and you don't, you know, that film doesn't have, like,
it isn't a French angst film in black and white.
Like, this is a lot of action.
There is some dialogue, but it's overall the action,
and you get the emotional beats without needing to hear the dialogue necessarily.
It's such a well-done film.
Sheridan, have you seen Train to Busan?
The North Korean zombie film.
I was just looking it up, but I, I,
or South Korean zombie.
Yeah, I would agree with.
you completely. I want the North Korea remake. Yeah. That's what I want to see. I don't want to see
Americans. Right. Right. The Korean conflict going on there. No, it looks like, yeah,
definitely from what I'm seeing and reading about it on here. And if you said you loved it the way
it is, then I'm going to go with you and say that nobody better touch this or that you're going
to have balls drunk across your face by Mr. John. That's right. But yeah, it is. It is an
arrogant thing and if and especially if something is so wonderful to begin with why why are we trying
to you know americanize it and because you're not going to make it better if it's so loved that's
that's that's my take i mean yeah yeah go ahead i mean look at the you know american american idol right
sure yeah but the the russian one was so much about oh my god
Do you think that we're in the minority
because we're all so obsessed with film?
And it's our life that we love film as it was intended.
I only watch the subtitle.
I mean, I only changed the language like when it,
I don't even know in a time where it's better
because I've done that.
So I wonder if there is a big portion of Americans
are people who would like this, you know,
and otherwise might not even watch the story.
So it's kind of like, let's bring it.
but I do think that South Korea has a really good way in their movies of depicting horror
in a way that America hasn't yet done.
So I really hope we're not vulturing this.
Yeah, it's a great point.
You wonder.
I mean, like Magnificent Seven is the only thing I can think of that comes close to the source material.
But even that is nowhere near as epic as the original Seven Samurai.
I mean, the Seven Samurai is so many relationships and emotional.
moments that don't necessarily happen with the frequency or the depth that you get in
Magnificent Seven, you know? And so there's like the end of Magnificent Seven is the same as the end
of my Seven Samurai, but the line when it's delivered at the end of Samus, Seven Samurai carries
way more weight than when Yule Brenner says it, or Steve McQueen, I think, says it to Yul Brenner.
So it's just like there's, you know, those are the things that I think of. What do you think of,
Ryan? Do you want to see a remake?
No. No. I'm going to pull a weird comparison here, but the way I felt when I saw this headline,
do you remember in Harry Potter six, Half Blood Prince, when like they're destroying the
Harcrucks and he's force-feeding Dumbledore that water? And he's like, no, that's how I felt.
I was like, God, no. Can he just shouting, kill me, please. No, I don't want this.
The movie's great. Just do another zombie movie. Like, why does it have to be trained to Busan?
Like why can't it be is it gonna be like septa to Philly like where are they gonna do the the train in America
I don't know I don't think this sounds good at all the only American remake I and I had to look this one up just to admit is the bird cage the Mike Nichols film I think that's a remake of a French movie
yeah yeah yeah I love yeah so that's the one American remake okay yeah I have a I have a list pulled up here like the departed is an obvious one let me in infernal affairs is so much better than the departed give me a fucking break all right good yeah sorry yeah like like some
Like It Hot is apparently a remake True Lies also.
There's more, but one of my favorite movies I've seen this year is a remake of a French film.
And the movie is Coda, the one about the child of death of adults.
And I think if you're going to remake something, make something that hasn't crossed over here.
Right.
And maybe it wasn't well received there, but make something that's a little bit less liked so that you can improve upon that instead of trying to make.
Have you seen the French original?
I have not.
I didn't even know it was a thing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Storn it out there.
And I don't think if there's that many.
And I don't think there's that many that resonated in the box office as strongly as to validate doing these kinds of remakes.
But it's just me.
I mean, the Battle Royale remake they've been trying to do for how long with supposedly
Nicholas Cage and the Takesha Katano role.
So we shall see.
I was just thinking about that's the one that came to my head.
Because wasn't, isn't that basic?
basically what hunger it's like a bloodier hunger games i mean like it's a more intense hunger games
kind of a thing you can say that it's a bloody i've seen it yeah it's it's a bloodier better
more authentic gritty realistic take on what would actually be hunger games is like why a man
this is real shit this is real shit yeah i watched that after hunger games i'm like what
you get a bomb on your neck high school kids with bombs on their necks it's madness it's so
That's a dark one.
So send in your favorite remakes.
Gonna need a little pop cleanser after that one, folks.
Like the ring. Is the ring better than ring goo?
I don't think so.
Ringgo is scary as fuck.
Man, the ring is scary.
The ring is scary. The ring goo is like, fuck.
The ring is so scary.
I haven't seen the ring goo.
Ringgoo is like,
that is.
Oh, my.
Samara.
My girl.
Two days.
I didn't sleep for two days.
Um,
all right.
Where are we at?
And also like Bong Joon Ho last year, he said once like once you overcome the one inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films.
So let's get over that, guys.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Stop writing my American version of parasite.
Well, they are doing that on HBO, so.
Oh, true.
They are.
That's happening.
Right.
Who's that Bishemi?
Is that Bishemi is doing it, right?
Or who's doing that one on that?
Adam McKay.
Oh, my God.
What?
I know.
It just happened.
We just got the first Asian director winning.
What?
Oh, my God.
And Mark Ruffalo is in it.
That's it.
Ruffalo's in it.
Okay.
Oh, God.
What?
Mr. Fracking.
I wanted, I want Paraside to take place on a train and there be zombies in it.
And it also be.
You know what else is a total blood bath, John?
Yeah.

Come on.
Let's get to at least $5.00.
We had promised $750.
Brett Sheridan do a daf punk karaoke song.
Stephsabra at 1,000 was going to do stronger.
Do you guys not want to listen to Stephsabra or watch Stephsabra do
daf punk Kanye West stronger?
That is a brilliant.
and think for her to do. What is wrong with y'all? Send in your money. Send in the donations and
streamlap superchetched mobots. Come on. You're getting rewards. You're getting all kinds of great
humor and helping you through some tough times. That's what we do here. So come on in. Send in your
money. Send in the streamlap, super chest, robots. Are you telling me you're rejecting
donated $20? Thank you. Do you think the Ms. makes it past
fast lane with the WWE title or does Drew get it back for the first WWE PPP on
Peacock? No, I think Ms. keeps it. I
think Ms is,
Ms. is awesome.
He's must see TV.
And I think he keeps it.
McIntyre, I think they've been lukewarm back and forth about how much of an impact that
guy has as the champion.
So I think the Miz, they want to see what Ms can do.
If people rally around the, Ms.
and the ratings start to go up and his merch starts to sell, then I think that's more,
than I think that's going to be a good sign for the WWE.
But yeah, let him have, why have him cash it in to lose it one payper view later?
That makes no sense.
they got to go and do it.
And the next one, I mean, like, who does that?
You know, only Chandrew blows it in the next pay-per-view.
Oh, never mind.
All right.
Anyway, let's get into that.
Before spoiler.
Just a shot.
Should we get into, let's get into some schmodown, Alex.
Do we have any more entertainment news?
Nope.
Not today.
All right.
Well, here's something that's broke.
Maybe they'll cover it tomorrow.
Gillian Anderson has signed on to play Eleanor Roosevelt in a new biopic.
So interesting choice.
Wow.
She's going to play all the powerful women, I guess,
from Margaret Dasher to Eleanor Roosevelt.
Respect.
And there's still more to do.
Holy cow.
I didn't know that.
Is this for the new series or?
Yeah.
I think it's a new series.
It just announced on variety.
Oh, I think it's first ladies.
It's all the first ladies of the presidents.
Yep.
So who is she playing?
Eleanor Roosevelt.
Scarlet Joe Hanson?
No, no.
No, no.
Jillian Anderson is playing.
Eleanor Roosevelt. Scarlett Johansson is playing Michelle Obama.
Scarlett Johanson is playing the character of Sandra O.
She will be my favorite Asian actress Scarlett Johansson.
She's actually playing President Obama,
Scott Joe. President Barack Obama.
Oh man, life is good.
Is good.
Barack, I found myself strangely attracted to you every time you around.
Ease up.
He's up, Joe.
Slow down.
Slow it down.
All right.
Where are we at next?
Where we're going next?
People send in your money for the love of God.
Come on.
We've got to get to $500 at least.
But let's get the $750 for Brent and $1,000 for steps of brawl.
You guys could make all your comments about steps or borrow.
You can't send in some money.
Come on.
Send it some money.
He's got a point.
What's next?
Talks.
I just saw Mason,
Mason dude in the chat saying we need Kata's Thatcher as Ellen
R Roosevelt.
Yes, we do.
Oh, it's so funny.
So let's get into a little bit of Shmohdown talk.
The paper view happened over the weekend.
We're going to spoil some stuff.
So if you haven't watched it,
maybe turn it down a little bit,
but keep sending in your money, God damn.
So this was a great way to kick off season eight war.
Both of these matches back and forth.
Laura Kelly looked like Godzilla up in this thing,
man, just stopping through Molly,
Although Molly put up a hell of a fight in the end.
I mean, when someone is determined to get to a certain spot,
sometimes you can't, it's not your time and that person is going to run through you.
Lord knows I've had that experience.
Ben Bateman's had that experience.
Dan Murrell, Ethan Irwin.
We just saw Adam Collins rip through people.
He was determined to get to that title.
So Laura Kelly may be the next in line here to make it all the way to a final,
to a title shot and to take out Alex Damon.
Certainly she wants another shot at that guy and another shot at that belt.
So incredible stuff.
Did anybody else watch it over the weekend?
What did you guys think?
Yeah, it just shows like you really need every single point in round one
because there was a little bit of a few misses on one competitor's part that kind of hurt in the end.
And yeah, I really, as far as the IG, do you want to talk about IG or should we say that for later?
We can both.
We can talk both, whatever you want.
And if you're watching or listening right now, sending your thoughts when you streamlap, Superdivist, Smobots,
Let's talk about it.
I mean, it's a Smart Entertainment Network.
We've got to talk about Spodown.
So send in your thoughts about it as well.
Let's hear what you think.
Go ahead, Alex.
Oh, yeah, and I'm just ecstatic at the outcome of the IG match.
And, yeah, two great matches to start off this season.
Let's keep it up.
Let's have some fun this year.
Okay.
All right.
Sharon, did you get a chance to watch in these matches?
I did not.
Okay.
All right.
But Steph told me they were barn burners, right?
Steph?
No.
I mean, on the edge of your seat, just ecstatic, sweat, blood, and tears because these competitors
gave it all and more.
No, it was really fun.
It was really, I think the league is scary, how good it is.
Every time I watch, I'm like, what are these people doing?
And what they're doing is they're training?
There's no other way because the questions are insanely difficult,
and they always rise to the occasion.
She is incredible to watch.
And it proves why people like me who only have a gimmick character
will ever be able to compete in a match and not by talent.
And I don't, I think my faction day was, as Christian said,
had a shelf life.
I think that shelf life.
Direct quote.
There are people coming up that, you know,
It's like, how do you compete with that?
Hey, listen, Samuel L. Jackson didn't get his first major role until he's 45 years old.
You have no idea what could happen, Brett.
Much to Alex chagrin.
Yeah, it's true.
Ryan West.
What do you got, Ryan?
Oh, my gosh.
You know, honestly, I wasn't able to watch either of these matches.
I was working, like, all weekend in snowy Philly.
By the way, there's a full-on blizzard happening, like right outside.
Again?
Lizard.
Holy shit.
Just full, oh, the thickest of snowflakes.
Four inches, what I was just texted.
Wow.
But so, yeah, help.
No, I wasn't able to check it out,
but I'm definitely going to watch it today.
I worked all through the weekend, to be completely honest.
No worries, man.
It's like the first kind of low-key day.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Was it, Alex, when is it,
which one's dropping tomorrow for everybody?
Or are they both dropping them off?
I'll have to check on that,
but I know next week we have to,
That's when we start all the three matches per week.
We got Amru Moses versus Jesse Swift on Wednesday in her geekdom match.
We have Marie Wilson on March 4th versus Sean Sullivan in a Star Wars match.
And on Friday, March 5th, we have Vinnie Mancuso and Marisol McKee in a singles match.
And then we have another throwdown, Dan Merle versus Jeff Snyder.
Oh!
In a singles number one contender match.
Yeah.
So we're...
We just started last week and we're getting into the thick of it next week.
So it'll be fun times.
I can't wait to see that match.
That match is going to be stellar.
I mean.
Yeah.
Snyder's Player of the Year versus my pick for singles player of the year, Dan Merle, going at it next Friday.
It's going to be intense.
Next Friday, right?
Alex, next Friday, right?
Next Friday, March 5.
Intense, intense stuff.
And, you know, Jesse Swift talked all the mess, brought all the attention on him.
on the Facebook group got up all on Twitter.
So now it's time to put up or shut up, kid.
And, you know, when everyone loves a, you know,
everybody listens to a yapping dog,
but the yapping dog loses his first match.
And maybe that yapping dog, nobody cares about his, his voice.
And Marisol McKee's got something to step forward to improve as well.
You know, the big trade, a lot of drama around that trade,
is she going to be able to step up and take care of business?
And then, of course, is it Wilson?
Marie Wilson, is that right?
Marie Wilson. Is that her name?
Coming out of the...
Yes, Marine Wilson. Yeah, coming out of...
Coming out of what she's been able to do over...
I think it was DragonCon, her Star Wars stuff over DragonCon.
So, Sean Sullivan, has got to step up as well.
Look, your wife's on a show, Shawnee.
So you got to step up.
Your wife co-host certain point of view.
If you can't step up to support your wife,
all of a sudden, you're the submissive one in the relationship.
I hate to break it to you.
It's your wife who's kicking ass.
So, you know, I just got to step up.
Yeah.
That's that one inch barrier of sub yeah.
Yeah.
So yeah.
Some of it's right.
Wow.
Yeah, there it is.
Speaking of dogs, has anyone checked on Ted Cruz's dog?
Is there an update?
Yikes.
Wow.
No.
It's in Cancun somewhere.
Yeah.
No,
we're going to be.
We're allowed one political comment.
We're allowed one per show.
All right.
Let's go.
It was a dog.
All right, we're still at 165.
I don't know what to tell you.
Maybe you all fucking hate us today.
I don't know.
We've got 35 minutes left in the show.
We need your support to get us to 500 at least for God's sake.
That's how we can.
It's not a lie what I'm telling you, ladies gentlemen.
It's not a lie.
We need your support.
Keep the lights on, do whatever.
So we'd love to get at least 500.
We were hoping we set some goals,
but apparently we're not shaking the tree hard enough to motivate you all
to send in some stuff to hear Brett Sheridan sing some doubt.
Punk and Steps abroad, do some stronger.
So please send in if you can.
We'd love it.
All right.
If you don't, Alex is going to keep zooming in on that photo.
Yeah.
And he's going to go and kick your grandparents in the face.
Yeah.
Old.
All right.
What's the next, Alex?
Alex, do a raid on your grandma.
All right.
Let's get to some stream labs.
Trevor Fast says,
thank you to everyone at SCN and Skybound for an amazing
pay-per-view event on Friday. Couldn't ask for a better start to the season. And shout out to
Steph and the World Girls for an epic three-hour stream last night. Wow. Oh, yeah. We
did you guys cover last week. So last night, we are doing this thing once a month. We're doing 21
questions with one of us just because we're always doing something. So it's nice to like get a little
bit more personal. And we got to ask Dorena questions, which she's one of the most interesting,
if not the most interesting person on Earth. So the the world friend just had questions for her. And I
blame them it was so fun that's awesome wow yeah all right all right right 156
impulse says hey guys I need you to keep my friend Sammy and your thoughts and prayers
he was just in a major car accident last week and he had to get two brain
surgeries done she lives in DC he runs the Latin dance festival he's a great man his
mom is with him thanks we definitely will wow 20 bucks donated
$500 donated $20 doing my part thank you
for doing your part i'm going to kick you in the nuts you do that again i swear to god i find
you at a live event i will kick you in the nuts um what's the next uh what we said what were
a different type of manscape turn that sound back on um also sending our thoughts out to j washington
he had he had to go to the hospital the weekend strained his back pretty badly so he is uh
medicating right now i just texted it back and forth him for a minute or so uh and he is recovering from it
but in some pain.
So send some thoughts over to Jay,
give him some love today for sure.
Man, it's my brother.
Big time.
All right, Alex, what's next?
Cunning, says,
Hello, S-DN.
Brett, you can go ask your wife something now.
Alex, are you worried now about the Lakers?
A.D. won't be playing it maybe until playoffs.
LeBron about to be MVP again, L.O.L.
Jamal, your Sixers are not going to come out of the East, sorry.
What are you all thoughts about the Nets?
I'm kind of scared of the Nets.
I'm scared of the Nets.
They didn't even have KD.
But we'll see.
They have that KAD in four games, yeah.
Right?
And they beat the Clippers last night?
Yeah, they did.
They just got to get rid of Danny Green.
Danny Green's a hot head.
I hate Danny Green.
He sucks.
He fouled out last night.
I can't stand Danny Green.
I think they got to trade him immediately.
This is when they got to trade them.
They're on, this is as good as they've been in years.
I think this is the time.
You go all in.
You trade some people.
Get some wide shooters.
Just help.
Wow.
That's so funny.
The shade on.
Danny Green is hilarious to me, but sad.
If we had a green screen behind you, Ryan, you could go through this whole tirade and your shirt would change from the spurs to the Lakers to the Sixers.
Because every fan base he's ever played for bitches about Danny Green, yet they win the finals with Danny Green.
Yeah, he just came off the Lakers.
It's crazy.
Oh, my God.
It's so funny.
Roxy and I actually ran into him and his producer out at Lod.
one time and he ended up having to leave but we didn't know who he was like I was like he
looks familiar but I don't really know because when you see NBA players in the wild you're
like you are way too big of a human like yeah yeah yeah I think you are I think you are
being hard they win titles he's won titles yeah he's been on multiple
Well, that's true.
Fair, but he hasn't been like 10th on the bench.
That's true.
I saw Steve Nash out in about one time, and I was like, you're taller than me.
How the fuck is that possible?
Like, because when you watch on screen compared to the other people, you're like, oh, he's a small guy.
Then you can meet him in person.
You're like, how the fuck?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Mind blowing, dude.
Stallions.
Wow.
All right, I'll keep going.
Trash Panda says long lived.
daff, punk, hashtag harder, better, faster, stronger, hashtag defunct, hashtag around the world,
hashtag one more time, hashtag I feel it coming, hashtag get lucky, hashtag derez.
Dresd.
All right.
We'll be cunting stars, says hello everyone.
Roca, what are your thoughts on both DiCaprio and De Niro taking the supporting role for Marty's next film?
Apparently Apple and producers was one of the reasons that led to this.
Brett, are you excited for this?
L-O-L-J-K-J-K, do you care?
Thanks.
What do you mean?
Taking this one.
I don't know what that means.
Because Jesse Plemons,
is the lead.
Yeah,
Jesse's earned it.
Listen,
in life,
and Alex agrees with this,
in life,
the old people put the young people over.
That's how it works.
That's how it works.
You know,
and in wrestling,
the same thing.
The older wrestlers
have already had their time,
put people over.
Look,
I put Adam Collins over last year
when he beat me,
right?
So you just,
what you got to do.
Sometimes the young people,
they have a path to walk.
You walk that path already.
so you are times in there in there to help them without knowing sometimes or knowingly sometimes help them to do what they've got to go on because you had someone do that for you know yeah this the way it works this make jesse plemmins is on the rise as he should be i mean he's been a burn like not even a slow burn like he's been killing every single role he's done i think especially with judas and the black messiah he was stealing scenes
And it was like he is an incredible actor.
This makes complete sense.
And I look so forward to watching him in more things.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, what was the thing?
He was in,
thinking of anything.
Right?
Yeah.
Like, uh, yeah,
Jesus of Black Messiah.
Wasn't he in Fargo?
Yeah, he was in season three of Fargo.
Two.
And game nights.
So he's done so many things to lay his ground with breaking bad.
Yeah, yeah.
All this stuff he's done, you know, plus he's married to Kirsten Dunst.
So good on you, son.
Yes.
Also,
Living.
Yeah, living.
Let him have it.
De Niro's led enough films.
DiCaprio's led enough films.
You know?
Yeah.
There's nothing wrong with that.
All right, Alex, what we got?
Joe O'K says people in Iran are scared of spiders, but in arachnophobia.
Oh, that's nice to know.
Okay.
I'm going to treat all puns like they're real things and just.
Oh, oh, thank you.
Thank you for the information.
Thank you.
Noted.
Noted.
Copy it.
My dream journal.
Fifty Shades of Geeks sent in a kind of a spoilery WandaVision one, so I will not read that.
If that's fair, what do you think, Roko having to do with a villain?
No, don't read it.
Are you talking about the villain of grief, Alex?
There you.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Good, good, good, good.
Because that's the villain in that show, Alex.
Yeah.
Fuckless in Mississauga sends in also a spoilery one.
So I won't read that as well.
Thank you.
Appreciate you.
Thank you for sending an end.
Spoiler and Mississauga.
Thank you.
All right.
These shades of geek says,
Roka, that's a bold prediction, but not an impossibility.
Remember, they had the balls to kill half the universe in Infinity War.
So nothing would surprise me at this point.
But they brought them all.
back so yeah not all of them oh true there are two people no morris coming back tomorrow came back that's
right spoiler i guess there one person didn't come back and she's still getting a movie so i got a movie though
yeah good point oh no there is one person who's not coming back too that you guys
besides black widow and i love you 3 000 oh oh oh i don't think he's done i
don't in any way think he's done he's coming back to some code of computer program he's
going to come back like jarvis i think he's absolutely going to come back like jarvis
oh i kind of like that but still still it could be the role reversal where vision where he's now
the voice for vision that's a possibility too and so anyway all right go ahead else but is he is he
getting too old what's going on yeah i want your parents to storm in right now we heard which is
I'm excited about old people.
Go ahead.
And then his parents would go, who are these old people?
You're talking to.
All right.
Inappropriate gay dude says it's Monday.
Big Daddy Roka is wearing red and looks snazzy.
All right is right with the world.
Question for the panel.
Which teacher or professor from high school or college had a profound and positive influence on your life?
Oh.
Mr. De Pell, English teacher, 10th grade.
Absolutely nobody!
Oh.
absolutely nobody
absolutely nobody
I had a
it was her
singing coach
it was my choir
professor
la de la da da
go ahead
I had no influence
rough
um
yeah yeah
English teacher as well
and for me
it was Dr. Ryan
in community college.
When I was going back to school after the military,
I didn't have a lot of confidence that I could get my,
that I could,
because I kind of failed out the first time around through college,
she gave me a lot of confidence.
Ben donated $20.
Happy Monday, everyone.
Every Monday.
Every Monday.
It's a great way to start the week.
Yes.
Good.
Happy Monday.
Cheers.
Thank you.
My Calc 1 teacher, Mrs. Thomas,
shout out to her.
Nice.
My calc teacher has like made me
love math and that's why I decided to become a math major in college.
Nice.
My English teacher is actually one of my mom's best friends,
when she went to college with her, and she was super cool,
and she taught us that the F word can be used in every tense and every sort of, you know,
like it can be an action, or, you know, all the ones.
You know all of them.
I love all the books of the Bible.
No, it can be a noun, a verb, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I don't know whether they ever.
So that I found cool because nobody ever talked to kids like they were real people.
I felt a lot of times.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So and it made us giggle at first, but she goes, I'm not, I'm not playing around.
Listen.
Yeah.
So that is that and Steph's choir.
Yes.
My choir director.
Yes.
No, seriously, I didn't have any teachers or instructors.
I even when I played D1 sports I had four different coaches and they all sucked like
so they didn't all suck but no one really had a profound impact on me luckily I have the best
parents in the world so I really didn't need much it was never like a lacking thing I had the
foundation yeah that's good that's good not a lot of people can say that step so that's great yeah
no I would take that over any teacher and instructor I think got every day for that yeah
What do you got, Alex?
Billy Adwood says,
Do you guys know of any celebrities that grew up in your hometown?
The biggest celebrities from where I grew up
is Jeremy Renner, Timothy Oliphant, and George Lucas.
Oh, okay.
Wow.
Aubrey Plaza.
Oh, nice.
Anybody?
Keep that horn.
I was looking up what those things are called
that I was trying to say that this teacher taught me,
which obviously is parts of speech.
That was the word I was the first.
Fraser.
She was a great teacher.
I was a horrible student.
This is what I'm getting at.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What was the question?
Celebrities that grew up in the same town as you.
I also have a friend who she's getting her own CW show.
Oh.
Wow.
Yeah, she was in my Calc 1 class.
Sat right next to me.
Nice.
Pretty crazy.
Alex.
She's getting her home.
TV show. I'm so happy.
Is it Ruby Rose? Alex?
Oh, God. It's not.
It's Ben Sass, a celebrity?
He's a senator.
So maybe.
I went to school with Ben Sass.
Okay.
All right.
I think Reese Witherspoon grew up in San Diego.
Seth Cohen.
Did Tony Hawk? Yeah, Tony Hawk.
I think that's the only ones I know.
Okay.
Tony Hawk.
Nice.
Nor, yeah, I was obsessed with Tony Hawk growing up.
I would, I skated with my brother because I wanted to be a boy so bad.
But Tony Hawk was the shit.
The shit.
Shit, son.
I don't think I have anybody who grew up in my hometown per se.
But there were in Northern Virginia, which we were kind of part of.
Siddakas, Pat and Oswald, Dave Grohl, and Sandra Bullock are all for.
like northern Virginia.
So that's what I'll say.
Wow.
Nebraska, we had Johnny Carson.
Nice.
Johnny Carson.
That's it.
Amazing.
All right.
What do we got next, Alex?
50 Shades of Geek says,
as someone who never read the Invincible Comics,
I personally thought the trailer revealed too much,
but maybe I'm just overreacting,
and the trailer only shows what's in the first three episodes.
What do you think?
No, no, trust me, there's so much more you're going to see.
There's so much.
don't you can guess from that show what you think it's going to be and then it's completely
going to be something different so just get ready for that billy atwood says roka how about that
elimination chamber pbb last night uh the elimination chamber matches were good but everything else was
kind of not good uh the tag team match was kind of boring um the the u.s championship was
kind of boring even though shout out to matt riddle uh but the if it wasn't for the money the bank
cashed in. I don't think it would have been as
talked about today as WDV was hoping for. So that's what I would say.
Yeah. All right.
50 Sheds Geeks says aren't Scarface and the departed American
remakes of foreign films?
Ooh. Well, departed? You said. Garface is not
because that's a remake of a 1927 film with Paul Mooney. That's the
original Scarface. But yes, infernal affair. But if you
haven't seen Infernal Affairs, don't talk shit on depart. Like you can't
talk shit about Departon until you watch Infernal Thairs.
Then come talk to me.
Watch the Eternal Fairs, which is what, three, two movies or three movies that they put into one movie?
Yeah, then come talk.
All right.
Ace Moni says, in general, I think you guys are right about American Rememakes being unnecessary.
But I do love Finchers, Girl with a Dragon Tattoo, and Matt Reeves let me in.
You know, girl, dragon tattoo, I've never, I'm a big Fincher fan.
I just don't think it's as good.
It just, there's something about that one that was a little.
by the numbers and fincher typically isn't like that right and these are the problems you run into
because the ending of fincher is the girl with the dragon and tattoo she's a passive participant
in the ending of the original girl with the dragon two two she's an active participant in what
happens and that's the difference between american is a american version and the european version
that drives me nuts so anyway all right let's keep going i've seen them both yes and your thoughts
Brett. The original was better. Yes. Most ever.
Numi Rapace. So good.
Alex.
I know it was just a slip up on your part, but I just can't stop imagining Girl with the Dragon 2-2 now.
Oh.
That'd be amazing.
I like that. I like that.
Tiffany F says, Hi Monday, Crew. Can't donate a lot this week. Sadface.
Sorry, Roca.
Anyone check out the history channel.
Food That Built America Series.
It's just a bunch of commercials for fast food, but it's fun.
What's your favorite fast food?
Wendy's.
Ooh, hot tag.
And it's not because of the food.
No, no, it's definitely...
It's because of the Frosties.
That was our treat burger place, though, when I was a kid, because we didn't have,
like, five guys or anything.
Like, Wendy's was, and I feel like their meat was a lot better back then.
But they were more expensive, and that was like, okay, we're not doing McDonald's.
We're not doing Burger King and Wendy's and dipping the fries and the frosty.
Yeah, the frosty is excellent.
We used to drive through that just to get the frosty.
But I think in terms of just fast food, I haven't gone in a while, but in and out.
Yeah, I think is the best.
Yeah, that's good.
That's a problem.
Like literally by our house, there's every fast food place five minutes away imaginable,
which is why I put on some pounds.
Oh.
Taco Bell is right.
there. Five guys is there in and outs right at there. McDonald's is there. Wendy's is about nine
minutes down the road. Talk. Oh, just to talk about right. Chipotle is there. Dangerous. Dangerous.
Dangerous. Dangerous. And out French fries are trash though. They are. They are.
Yeah, they're not great. Yeah, they're not great. But, but what the buns is where it's at.
Like there's no buns like in and out. Hey, you wait five minutes. Yeah. It's fries or my, there's sticks.
yeah yeah
I'm they deflate
yep
I'm sorry
I gotta go
those are in and out
sponsor
yeah
I think I agree with you
I say Wendy's too
I think Wendy's is
the most satisfying
is when I eat that double double
it's so good
chicken
oh the baconator
oh shit
the baconator
I'm gonna go with
a del taco
just because they have
impossible or beyond meat
They do.
They do now.
They actually have a decent burger and they have crinkle cut fries.
We always just drove, I've tried the kids by to get a giant one of just the fries for a little treat.
A little special treat.
Treat your children.
I don't know.
Go ahead, Alex.
How many minutes we have?
15 minutes left.
We're at 250 bucks, people.
Come on.
Get us to at least 500 for the love of God.
We're at 250.
This has been one of worst mornings that I've hosted here.
We're still alive.
Please, we've got 50 minutes.
Get us to the 250.
If two are you sending in $125, we're set.
All right, anyway, go ahead.
It's going to be a very awkward stereo today at www.
Stereo.com slash Christian Harloff.
We're going to be talking about today's show, questioning whether or not we continue.
No.
No.
We're going to have a lot of fun.
We're going to have a lot of fun.
Yeah.
There's some bad days.
there's some good days. And I think this one, this one's
going to pick up, John. We're going to have
that last 15 minute push
that we get sometimes. We've got
to 1,000 and 15 minutes. I
have confidence. But do come
check Christian and me
or me and Christian or Christian and I
or whoever. Remember, I'm not good at English.
MCO-P-M-P-Sty.
Boom. Sorry, Roger, all I can
give. I'm just working as an intern.
What is the most cringe
conversation you had with your parents?
That's a great question
Can't share it
No
I
Recently when my mom asked me
What WAP stood for
And I said nope
Google it
Google it
Google it
And you'll never talk of this again
Oh I know mine
Have you guys ever seen
The Michael Fastbender
Steam McQueen movie
Shame
Absolutely
Just got a call one day
We just watch Shame
Have you seen shame?
It's a sex addict film
And I was like, yeah, I haven't seen it
And we've talked about it
And I just didn't like the conversation
It was a little hot
And shout out to you being an intern and donating,
Thank you.
Yes, thank you very much.
No shit, that's not easy to do.
Yeah, sex, yes, sex, that was the most
cringering with the conversation.
Yeah.
My wife wants me to have the puberty talk with my son.
Like, she told me this,
she goes, you should probably have a talk to him.
I'm like, motherfucker doesn't even want to talk
computers with me, and that's all he does.
Did you think he's going to talk about pubs with me?
Yeah, yeah.
Like, no.
Have him watched Big Mouth.
Yeah, I think, I think.
Yeah, yeah.
I can't, I'll just,
that's going to be the most awkward conversation, I think.
Awkward.
Let us know how it goes.
Yeah, record it, we?
Put it on an Instagram.
Put it as an iTunes story.
It's not a conversation.
I had but it was me and my girlfriend my first girlfriend for Christmas we got well my mom gave us a
A how to be abstinent book for Christmas
Aww
That was a little bit awkward
A lot of hand touching
A lot of side hugs
A lot of side hugs
It's only looking only looking at each other
What?
What?
Whoa!
Thank you, pussy.
Wow.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Never before has there been a better...
Perfect timing.
Oh wow.
Yeah, I think you won that one, Alex.
That's solid.
I think you're afraid, Brett.
I think you're afraid when you start having this conversation and he's going to know more than you.
And his...
Never know.
James Slavario donated $100.
Thank you.
Yes.
Let's get an impression off.
Happy Monday.
Hot damn that Shmodown event was fire.
Good to see the ladies being represented to start the season.
Absolutely.
Okay, okay, buddy, sit down.
I'm going to talk about puberty.
You're going to start looking at different catalogs that have lingerie sections,
and they're going to make you feel different than they did before.
You're not going to want the Christmas JC-Pennaec catalog.
You're going to want the laundry one.
All right.
You want to make sure that you buy you buy it.
the right one. Just make sure you flip through the pages and hide it somewhere. You don't want this to be an awkward
conversation. We have multiple times. Once is enough, Lilani, I mean, little Sheridan. Remind me to
remove, put parental controls on your computer because kids can find way too much really
disgusting stuff so easily. It's not like the magazine that we use.
to find underneath the trash can behind the 7-Eleven.
What?
Guys had told you about...
What the?
That was our...
That was like...
Somebody would leave, like, under this trash can behind,
and it was like a hustler or something.
You haven't played with yourself,
you play with yourself to drawings and a newspaper in the 1940s.
That's what you really do.
Brow ads in the 40s.
Incredible stuff.
Bernie Sanders loved it.
Bernie Sanders absolutely loved it.

hello it's me Tom Holland I know we've I've never had an awkward conversation with my parents
because I've got to get to these stream labs right now mr. Ana says roka clearly Lashley is
getting a shot at Ms for softening up
Macintyre even after the chamber. That must have been the deal. If not Fast Lane, if not at Fast Lane, it could be as soon as tonight, I think. Also, check out my movie Cherry on Apple TV Plus this Friday. It's me, Tom Holland.
Cherry, is that what you watch to learn more about sex? You're popping the cherry. Is that what I was about? No, Tom?
You have to find out. You have to find out. It's me, Tom. That's right, brother.
Have you ever seen Alex's Tom Holland and his Paddington in the same room?
Oh my god.
Oh, wow.
I think they're the same person.
What?
What?
You're saying that Alex isn't good at impressions?
Wow!
Whoa!
Wow.
Oh, my God.
What?
What?
What's your Harry Potter, Alex, out of curiosity?
I don't know.
It's me, Harry Potter.
Look at me with a scar here.
Harry.
With the scar here.
All right.
Hey Tom, do you want to be in my movie?
No, I'm too young still.
Harry?
Wow.
Wow.
You just transformed into two of the Great Brits.
That's good.
I like it.
You should have Harry.
Ryan Payne donated $35.
Oh, thank you, Ryan.
Magic word.
Please.
Please.
Oh, thank you.
Thank you.
Fine.
I'll say that, please, please.
There.
Please.
Please.
All right.
We're $50 away.
$50 all the way for $500.
Would be nice to get it in the next few minutes.
Daniel Medina says great kickoff to the season on Friday.
Two very competitive matches.
Great to see blank.
Blank, blank, blank, blink.
Spoiler, spoiler, spoiler.
Also, if you haven't seen the Black Cinema match from the Skybun Expo, treat your self.
Check that out.
It's very good.
That is a damn good match.
And shout out to Winston-A.
and Daniel Radford who worked the desk on that one.
They were really great, but all the competitors,
Chance, Clee, Janine, and Jay, all going at it.
To get much hyped return of Jay Washington,
Jay Washington into back to those twoodown.
So a lot of fun with that.
And the winner definitely deserved a great, great match.
A lot of fun, too.
All right.
E. Jack, you late, says,
Hello, everyone.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
Always watch you guys.
Some shows are all right, but a lot are great and funny.
Who do you all think each of you are in terms of Mortal Kombat characters?
I already know who stuff is with that hair.
L.O.L. Thanks, y'all.
Would it be all right if I killed you with your own frozen blood?
Whoa.
Did I whip off your arms?
Please.
Please.
Please.
That was an image.
I don't know how to move on.
I don't know if I am.
Did you miss it, Traylor?
I don't know if I am a character in Mortal Kong.
What do you guys think?
What are you doing?
I am the human embodiment of finiture.
I mean, Raiden's always been my favorite.
So I know people love Sosito.
Ben Junk donated $50.
Oh, thank you.
Let's hit that all.
Thank you, Ben.
Thank you, Ben.
You're the best.
Everyone loves a comeback story.
Look at us.
where we started to where we are now.
We're about to hit it.
I know.
Is this like the Sixers this year?
Six man.
We're seven bucks away, so someone sent in seven and we'll nail it.
All right, even as a super chat.
All right, Alex, keep going.
50 Shades of Geek says,
I got Marisol beating Vinny in their match.
Can't say much about any of the other ones
because I don't know enough about them.
Sorry.
He also.
Who's Vinny with now?
Is he still in the dungeon?
Did he get picked back up again for the dungeon?
I forget who Vinny's with swag.
Oh, he's with swag.
Oh, okay.
Oh, Winston.
Okay, Winston.
You know, that's a tough, never mind.
All right.
You watch the matches over the weekend.
You know Winston's got a tough,
a couple of tough situations to navigate.
So hopefully Vinny steps up for him.
But if not, you can add some more to the turmoil.
Go ahead, Alex.

50 Shades of Geek.
Very good. Fitty Shades of Geek says,
stuff should teach singing lessons on Masterclass. Move over,
Shakira. Here comes the lady with some real
talent.
I mean, Masterclass, if you're listening,
They are
I'm here, girl!
All right,
Christian Alante says,
Hey guys, in regards to the American version of Parasite,
I don't think it is a direct remake.
I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt
because Bong Joon Ho is said to be directly involved creatively
and is also producing.
It doesn't matter!
The guy who made Alita Battle Angel
was involved in Alita Battle Angel
and that didn't turn out so well.
So, like, you know, the creators being involved
is not the same as the creators being the...
final say there's a difference you know i did read i have the wikipedia open here it says that bong
finished this the first of the two scripts that he's been working on simultaneously one will be
in english the other in korean so it sounds like he's actually writing the scripts so okay all right
never mind that yeah hopefully that's better allan
allan happy monday my parents yelled at me one time for eating garlic i was like it's a vegetable
you're yelling at me for eating my vegetables i guess it was a bad breath issue but yeah awkward
like garlic gets in your pores.
I'm not a fan of it.
Roxy Logan
jumping over the Super Chance says
thank you guys.
Bernard Santos says
Americanizing trained to Busan
is the worst idea since the ring American version.
Also, are we talking about I Care a lot?
No, Tabusan remake.
I Care a lot is amazing.
I freaking loved I Care a lot.
Go check it out on Netflix.
We almost watch that.
Yeah?
But it looked a little too intense
for just in a mood.
Yeah.
I thought it was about old people, Alex.
I'm surprised you watched it.
Yeah, yeah.
Rosamont Pike.
Well, it's about her killing old people, so Alex watched it.
Rosamond Pike is low-key, one of the best
villains you could have for any movie.
Yeah.
God, girl.
They need to put her in Marble or DC.
Like, she is killer in that role, like the silent but deadly.
If they bring back the X-Men and bring back
the white queen that January Jones played
in X-Men First Class.
What's that?
Emma Frost.
Yes, Emma Frost.
If they bring that character back,
I think Rosenpike would kill it as Emma Frost.
Absolutely kill it.
So I think that's the path, possibly, for her.
Eric Opperman says,
Happy 28th birthday to me.
Happy birthday, Eric.
Hey, happy birthday.
I'm finally catching the show live for once.
Love you all, especially stuff, you samurai goddess.
Oh, happy.
birthday much love all right and uh gji chinney chinese says hi sian crew i apologize
if this has already been discussed what do you think about the rumor of mena masud being cast as
aser abridor in the ossoca series if it is true then it is perfect casting that's who played aladdin
in the new aladdin film um i think it's great casting and it's been rumored for a little bit
but now it just got a little bit more speed this past week and i hope that
becomes the reality i think that's a great me too yeah me too i heard that he's been having trouble
bookings which is crazy because he was so good in that movie and i think he's an excellent actor
so that would be awesome yeah we're down with that what about you previous uh oh sorry alex
no go uh on uh previous uh roles i think raoul coli who's wanted this role
longer or not longer but who has publicly wanted this role would be a better fit for me
I love them both

Also, Ryan, your dominance on voicing
Wado has been challenged by Dan Merle
on CPOV last night.
Someone tweeted that at me and I
almost broke my phone in half.
No.
It's totally fun.
This was all right.
Yeah, all right.
This Dan Merle's been feeling himself lately.
Someone's got to do something about it in the schmodeown.
Let me just say.
Someone's got to bring him back and teach him a little
humility at some point down the road.
We'll see if it happens.
Alex?
Oh, me, as in me, you want me to do it?
Okay, yeah, go ahead.
Gidey up, let's do it.
Listen, here, Dan,
anyway, go ahead.
What's your next day?
Hey, Dan, I'm going to take you down.
You're too old.
No, okay, we'll stop.
Sorry.
All right, 50 Shadeskeek says,

Here you go.
Thank you, Fiti Shades.
You got us over the line,
so thank you, Madly.
You're one of the best people
that watches this show and listens to the show for sure.
All right,
Are we done?
Are we done?
Sorry, two more that just came in.
Okay.
He had to kick also says maybe Alan Smithy's parents are vampire hunters and they were just mad.
He was eating their ammo.
Okay.
Good point.
And lastly, plenty of seats says, watch your mouth about Elita Battle Angel, bro.
Oh.
Bro.
Don't get away, bro.
Bro.
Bro.
Bro.
Let me take like, like, like, uh,
Idra's up.
Put my hands in my pocket.
Listen here, bro.
She takes her heart out, bro.
And she literally hands it to the,
guy, brof. It's a bit on the nose, bro. It's a bit on the nose.
Brov. I'm famished, farmer. I'm famished.
Farmerish, ma.
Stop calling me, Alice. Alice, stop calling me.
All right. Is that it? Is that it?
That's all we got, Mr. Roker.
Oh, from the British.

And then thank you to all of you again for being a part of it.
Remember, this is Monday, ladies gentlemen, Monday.
So do something positive to start off a week.
Even if it's a little bit of self-care, that matters too,
because that prepares you.
But when the moment comes, when you step up to the plate.
So do all of that for yourself of whatever you can do to get yourself to the next step, next phase of your life.
Do it even if it's small steps.
It matters.
So much love to all of you.
