And here we go, ladies and gentlemen, we are back on the Christian Harlov show.
Starting point is 00:00:35 We've been talking a lot of Star Wars this week, man, and two of the stories that I provided. Hey, Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen returning to, and Ariana Greenblatt, returning to Asoka. And yesterday, the news of the villain in The Mandalorian and Grugoo. Well, this one is not me. This is another rumor that came out early this morning. Dave Faloni was supposed to have a Star Wars Crossover movie that was supposed to come out at one point we thought at the December 2016, oh, 2016, 26. And then we didn't really hear anything else about it. And we didn't hear any movie coming out at that point.
Starting point is 00:01:14 We thought the Ray movie could have been coming out at that point. Nobody really knew when that movie was coming out. So the new rumor is essentially that Dave Faloney Star Wars movie has to wait and see how Mandalorian and Grogo do. box office wise before that really picks up. And I guess it's a way of them saying, does anyone care? I know we're going to do two movies back to back in the same world as nobody gives her shit.
Starting point is 00:01:38 So we'll see if we all think that makes sense. Mike's having an issue with this camera, but Roxy is here after having a very, very tough week. So I am grateful that she's going to be here today. So we'll talk to Roxy. She didn't send me any TV picks, but I'm not going to get busted chops because,
Starting point is 00:01:56 again, she's having a rough week. So we'll see if there's any TV. She even watched this week. It's probably why she didn't send anything, I would assume. And that is the show. We got some other things, man. We got some stuff to talk about when it comes to, look, it's a slow week, obviously, in Hollywood news.
Starting point is 00:02:16 You know, obviously so. Stanley Tucci was out there talking about Captain America for God's. That's how there's nothing going on. And Scars Guard talking about potentially going to MCU. We were rumored in DC you. But anyway, so that's what we got going on for the show today. Got those questions. You want to support some Roxy. That's who we got. She didn't beat Roca. I think she can beat Roca today. I can't see her. Oh, you know what? I want to see her face when I tell her how many he had yesterday.
Starting point is 00:02:45 So I won't, I won't say it just now. Let's get into it. Here we go. That's right, Manhattan. You tell me. And I'll tell you. Okay. Here we go. we are back and joining me on the show finally. I feel like it's been forever. First show of 2025, I think, right? Well, Christian, it's been, I had the Tuesday show was New Year's Eve. The Tuesday show was Christmas. And the Tuesday show was the first day of the fires and I had no internet.
Starting point is 00:03:26 So I haven't, it's been four weeks? It's been, yeah, it's been a little bit. So I'm glad that you're back. I kept seeing all these texts. This person won this week. This person won this week. I was like, I haven't been on the show in weeks. Are you guys, all y'all are still doing the show?
Starting point is 00:03:46 Something made me, I don't want to say, I don't want to say upset, but I said, hey, wait a minute. Today we posted, Luke posted that you were going to be on the show today. And some, I guess it's a brand new viewer, woman was like, hey, that's the lady from the real rejects. What is she doing? What's the connection? That's annoying for you. And I wrote back and I said, no, absolutely not. I said, I've been doing shows of Roxy since 2014.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Greg literally found her from my- Greg to let me come on your show today. Right. Greg found you from me. It was nice. I would say 50% of Greg's staff you found from the Schmodeau. Okay, but in fairness to me, a lot of your staff you found from me. Let's see if that's true.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Emily is true. And staff definitely. Staff definitely. Over the years, I feel like it has super duper, true like with Ryan when he was doing the show but like yeah so Ryan you have a few afterbuzz people if Ryan reached out because he was a fan I didn't know right I connected you with Ryan okay that's true that's true that's true that is I remember I remember I'm not here anymore so I don't get cred for that one right now that's true but
Starting point is 00:04:53 Steph step step for sure um think that's it um I haven't given you anybody else oh who what are the girls have you had on your show at some point Well, I'm Chris Carr, not from you. No, that didn't come from me. Clark Wolf. Can I give you Kathy? When Kathy used to go on? No, Kathy I knew before you.
Starting point is 00:05:12 I didn't give you Kathy. I met, I knew Kathy before you. No, I've been out here thinking I gave you lots of people, but Steph's a big win. That's a big one. That's a huge one. I was going to, I was actually going to give you that, uh, or people a, um, a trivia questions on the Kathy Kelly of it all because she, Kathy Kelly is the whole reason. I think that I was introduced to after Buzz and General.
Starting point is 00:05:34 because she came on my show, I think, first. And then Maria saw her interview and liked it. And the publicist then reached out to me from Maria. And that's how that whole thing started. Because I think, I don't know how Kathy came on first. I can't remember how even introduced her. But she was, yeah, Kathy was, was on the Shmo's quite a few times. That was before.
Starting point is 00:05:55 So that was obviously before she did any WWV stuff. You were doing anything. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I knew she was on like doing baking stuff and other stuff. So she just came on to like, she just came on to like, like hang out and we liked and we liked her and she came on yeah yes yeah it was cupcakes and so we were doing that and we just yeah we were from we she came on quite a few times um before that was on tote hop
Starting point is 00:06:17 that's how long ago she was on yeah she was on tote hop um man i got think of the other people i've you have to think about it okay more so how so how happy were you to see that i'm seeing it for the first time right now what has this been a thing yeah yeah he's he like the fact that he wasn't able to come back. Aren't you happy about that? I didn't know that until this moment. You knew that. That he was like, that you said, Big Paul, that's that whole picture that because of the roadcaster. And so we get the new roadcaster,
Starting point is 00:06:46 he couldn't, he couldn't come back. A month ago. It was like a month ago and he's been, he's been gone that long, so. That's good. That's very good. Listen, this is the reality of the situation. How good is it, Raxie? No, I'm about to tell you about the time.
Starting point is 00:07:01 How good is it? He's got to go away. Okay, fine. I'll come back later. I mean, if you must. Okay. I have not, anything I once knew, I don't know anymore. And I have not seen, like, I was just listening to your intro and I was like, what's a Star War? Like, what news would come out? Yeah, I didn't send you TV picks because this is the first week of my adult life.
Starting point is 00:07:28 You didn't watch anything, right? I've not watched one show. Yeah. I watched an episode of Silo last night. It was the first episode of TV I've watched in eight days. which is for a lot of people doesn't sound crazy. For me, I watch at least four or five episodes of TV a night. But there has been no night.
Starting point is 00:07:43 There's only been watching this fire app. So hopefully those of us who still have homes and have safety are out of Dodge as of tomorrow night. So we just have to make it through to 6 p.m. tomorrow is what they're telling us. But until then, it's like I went to shoot Real Rejects yesterday for the first time, Christian. Oh, you did? Okay. I've been calling out. I haven't been going in. I thought I was the one who was closest to the fires, but then Koi got evacuated.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Michael, who's over there, got evacuated. Everybody was getting evacuated. But I went in yesterday and we were shooting the movie. I was doing movie reaction and I checked my phone 75 times. I just kept being like, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Like there's no two hours where during this you can't because the jumping aspect has just been like, unprecedented and by jumping who the fuck knows what i mean we'll find out one day i know this isn't a show about the fires but no i know i'm just completely out of anything like last night i was supposed
Starting point is 00:08:46 to go to screening of what's the sisa kiki palmer isa re movie oh right right right that one just yeah yeah uh shoot i just saw it it was such a great poster for that one i forget the I was supposed to go to the screening last night and I got, you know, the notification like, you know, they send the day of like, a reminder, you've got this screening tonight. And I was like, L.O.L. I wrote back to them and I was like, there's just absolutely zero way that I'll be in attendance to this. I would love, I would love to promote this movie if you want to send it to me. But I'm so curious if that screening had anybody in it last night. I know it's it's in a movie. It's, oh, speaking of which do you want to, I'm so glad you brought up screenings because I, I forgot about it. it and I have to tell you about this because I when it happened last night I said I have to tell Roxy about this tomorrow. Um, so I go to this screening last night of Wolfman and I, I can only yeah, I can only the embargo lives tomorrow so I can't give a full review on it. All I can say is it wasn't really for me. I really like Invisible Man. I like Lee Wynel a lot. Um, I think that he directs the movie well. I didn't really necessarily love the look of the Wolfman. Um, I didn't
Starting point is 00:09:54 care enough about the story. or the characters and i think that um julie garner was kind of wasted in in the role but i think that there's people who are going to really enjoy it it's a very well-directed film but that's all i can say about that one but that's not the point i get there and i sit down and for the first thing i sit down at this in front of the there's this guy and he's talking about the congestion prices in new york i don't know if you've heard about this but there's these basically they they put a congestion fee in the city to toll people
Starting point is 00:10:29 so to try to combat how much traffic there is in the city and people are losing their minds about it. Yeah, of course. And so much so that I think Trump said the first day is getting rid of it because it's Native New York or whatever, whatever happened. Anyway, people are losing your minds
Starting point is 00:10:45 about it. So I am online on an actual physical line or in line, whatever they say. And there was this guy and he's behind me and he's just like yeah the congestion prices and I'm here and I you know I didn't congestion prices top of his lungs congestion prices and I'm like must have said congestion prices 87 times and I'm like I get it but do I have to hear it you're right in my ear you're right in my ear
Starting point is 00:11:14 guy congestion prices and I don't remember they're going to change it up no coming in from jersey congestion prices congestion prices and I'm like I get it. I get it. You don't like the congestion prices. So then we go and I sit down and I, in the theater and I have a good spot looking up. So here comes congestion prices and his buddy right in front and they sit down in front of me. And then congestion prices is like, yeah, so I called them and I told me.
Starting point is 00:11:43 The guy is, well, don't do that because you know what you normally do. And if you do that, you're going to piss them off. I didn't do it. I didn't do it. He's like, yeah, but you normally do. So don't do that. I know. think better of me. I know you normally do. And I go, I'm out of here. So I get up and I go to the far
Starting point is 00:12:01 right and I sit down. No one's in this row. So I sit down and I'm in this theater. I'm like, good. Movies about to start. I feel this tap on my shoulder. And I'm like, what the hell is that? And I turn around as this lady. And she goes, hi, hi, hi, hi. Can you move your hat? Can you take your hat off so I can see? And I go, no. I said, I can't take my hat off. I'm not going to take that. Were you wearing a baseball cap or were you wearing a top hat? I'm doing this. And I go, no, I'm not taking my hat off.
Starting point is 00:12:31 I go and then I go like, then I go like this because I didn't want to be douche. So I'm like, and I go like this, right. Okay, how about this? Can you see like that? Yeah, better. And I'm going, I can't watch the whole movie like this. I can't do this. So this is the best.
Starting point is 00:12:46 So I get up and I sit in the seat next to me. There's a guy on the other side. I'm not blocking anybody right now. with the hat. Why would your hat be blocking anybody regardless? You can ask as many questions as you want. Mike's in here now. I'll bring them in afterwards.
Starting point is 00:13:02 But I'm sitting there and I move to the second seat. There's no blocking anybody. So this is the best part of the whole fucking out of nowhere. This fur coat or whatever the hell it is comes flying into the seat next to me in the lap and just lands there like another person. Like Chubaca himself comes in and sits down. This thing is huge. The woman decided that now that I left, she could put her coat there.
Starting point is 00:13:30 So the whole thing is there. The movie starts with this ominous music. I laughed so loud in the theater. When that happened, it was as if I was watching naked gun for the first time. Oh, my God. And I saw it. And I go, and I said it as it hit. I go, what the hell is happening?
Starting point is 00:13:49 Right. That loud. Everybody in the theater heard it. There's no way that nobody did it because I couldn't control myself. And it was. I'm like, what in the world is going on? So I just did that. And then the bizarre thing, after about 10 minutes,
Starting point is 00:14:03 she decided she didn't want the coat to sit there anymore. So the coat moved. But what a bizarre story that was. I have so much confusion because, hi, Mikey. No. What's up? Looking good, but all right.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Bullshit. Let Roxy ask her question first. Go ahead. A hat, a baseball. baseball hat doesn't view any height. No, it was as if my, what if, what have I had like, like a big hair or two? But also, why didn't she move? You said that it was an empty, there was so many.
Starting point is 00:14:38 There was an empty C right next to her. She could have, she could have moved. But she was like, she wanted me to take my, honestly. And I, I said, no, I'm not doing that. My first instinct was to go like this, to be nice. The audacity to ask you for that. The hat. I couldn't believe it.
Starting point is 00:14:52 And then she, well, the audacity doesn't surprise me after the coat throw. I don't care about the coat throw it. No, but it, but it adds into the personality. It does, but all I care about is the, like, people are so just in their own world that she thought, instead of me moving, I should get him to take his hat. To move his hat. Yeah. And then you got congestion prices on the other side of that. So, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Mike, how's you know? How's your rash? What? Clear enough. Shut your mouth. What? Mike, how are you? Not well. Doesn't look like
Starting point is 00:15:30 he's doing too well. I'm fine. I just this fucking computer stream yard bullshit like the rent of your issues have nothing to do with the fire. You're bitching about your stream yard. Roxy, I, yes, we're in LA and we have fires
Starting point is 00:15:47 but like I can't like it's not affecting me at all. I don't even smell smoke. That is so far. I can look out. I looked out my window. I was it universal the other day working. There's no smoke anywhere. I don't know where it's glowing. But you guys are the only you guys shut down. Yeah, we went close for two days. That was bad. Like when I woke up that morning. This is the problem. This is why it's so crazy. And like everybody will behind the scenes for you guys,
Starting point is 00:16:16 where I was yesterday at work was in the valley also. And everybody in the valley is like business as usual and I am literally fighting for my life at every second of the day and it is the most confusing like everybody keeps asking everybody to come into work in the valley and it's like I'm next to fire I'm seeing active active flames every single day my skin feels like it's going to peel off my eyeballs hurt my throat is like so fucking raw I've had to change all of my filters out I can't go outside without a full mask and long sleeves and a hat on and I had to try to evacuate a 99
Starting point is 00:16:56 year old bedbound person. And then I got to the valley and everyone is walking with their dogs. It's weird because I don't know. Wait, like what is life over here? I, like I, it's like, do you see
Starting point is 00:17:12 Furiosa? Yes. It's like the beginning of Furiosa. It at least feels like the twilight zone. Like I, I feel bad because I'm like, you know, work, the day of work closed, I walked outside and it was like the apocalypse outside. I'm like, holy crap. So it did smell then. It didn't smell, though.
Starting point is 00:17:31 Oh. It just was all orange. Like, but then like two days later, I'm like, I went back to work and I was like one day off. I was like, well, I guess I'll sit outside and read. I was just sitting out. Like, it's not, it's surreal. But like someone told me where I live in the valley, because it's Warner Brothers and there's a mountain right next to us, it's a very. very on fire area.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Like the way the winds blow and the way that it's kind of a basin where I live, I don't. Well, dude, I mean, look, the palisades were said that at one point too. Like there was because where it was, I mean, there's,
Starting point is 00:18:02 I'm not. I know, I know, I know, I know. I know. I'm thrilled for you. Like,
Starting point is 00:18:08 all my friends that are in the valley, I'm so happy for that you're not experiencing what we're experiencing. Because this has been hell. I don't sleep every 45 minutes on the 45 minutes. I have an alarm on my phone. to check making sure that I don't have to get out of here. I've been in a vac warning zone for fucking, I was there for four dates.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Like, it's just the thing. It's such a different experience than you guys are having, which is just so, it feels weird to live in the same city. And then like I'm going every day to, right now you guys know, I'm sure you've seen on my Instagram.
Starting point is 00:18:39 I've been collecting funds and getting things for people who need. People are like sobbing in my arms every day. I'm giving them these things. And then I'm going into work and everybody's like, what's up? And I'm like, it's weird. Yeah, you're just living in a different world. It's not like I grew up in Florida with hurricanes.
Starting point is 00:18:57 So to me, when a hurricane came through, it destroyed everything, like, not even destruction, but just everything was shut down for hundreds of miles. Whereas this, it's like, you go two miles and it's a completely different story. I know. Like, I went, like, my Starbucks has shut down. Everything is shut down. I couldn't go to a restaurant. I couldn't get coffee.
Starting point is 00:19:18 like there was nothing. I'm not saying that that's a problem. I know you're saying. And then I go there and it's like, yeah, you're just, because you're involved in it. So it's like it is,
Starting point is 00:19:28 it's two different, it's just two different worlds right now. It's so crazy. It's just been crazy. And hopefully tomorrow night, like, then the safety element comes back and then you can start to rebuild.
Starting point is 00:19:38 And not that people in the valley haven't been helping. Of course they have. I know what you're saying, no. I think it's totally, yeah. You're trying,
Starting point is 00:19:46 you're trying to, it's going to take a second for you to try to come back to this. Well, what is reality at this point, right? Like, so it's still burning next to me because the fire still not out. You know, it's 30 something can percent contain, but it's hard to come back when it's still on fire. Let's try to put you into a fantasy world right now.
Starting point is 00:20:05 So we'll get into, we'll get into some news stories. And as I mentioned to you, you know, when you were gone, there was a couple of news stories that we broke on this show in regards to Star Wars. What's been happening with Star Wars? Well, so there was a there was a few the one was yesterday Imbo from the Clone Wars series. He is going to be the main villain, it seems like it, in the Mando and Grogo.
Starting point is 00:20:32 It looks like from what I've been told that you're going to have Mando and Gros protect or trying to save Road of the Hut who is voiced by Jeremy Allen White and this character that Dave Lowing voices and will voice. again is trying to kill him. So that's- You told me you were bummed by that because you feel like we've already done that storyline, right? Oh yeah. So I told, did I tell you this? I told you this off offline or something? No, no, this was months ago. You predicted that that was going to be the storyline when Jeremy Allen White was cast. Oh, right. Oh, because yeah, because I kind of knew back
Starting point is 00:21:06 then it wasn't a prediction. I kind of knew back then the same thing. I just been sitting on it for so damn long that finally my guy was like, you can. And, uh, but it was on the show. that you said like I think it's search and rescue and I don't know that that I definitely said yes yes yes because it was kind of leading into this for sure but and then there's the other one was it you and mcgregor your boy hayden christensen and uh ariana greenbladder going to return for asoka which is good but this rumor is not mine roxy this one this one coming up is not mine and that is that dave phillone star wars crossover movie hinges on box office success of the mandolarian and grogoo so why lucas film chief creator
Starting point is 00:21:47 officer Dave Faloni. Let's see. Hold on a second. Where am I? There I am. Look at me. Wee. Has ambitious plans for a Star Wars crossover event movie that would be relegated to Disney Plus if the Mandalorian and Grogu is in a box office success. The Mandalorian and Grogu wasn't originally conceived as a movie during 2023's WGA and SAG after strikes. Disney decided that Mandalorian season four would be better served as a theatrical title. We talked about that.
Starting point is 00:22:17 this yesterday. After all, why develop a pricey series for existing Disney Plus subscribers when there are potentially hundreds of million dollars to be made in the theaters? That strategy paid off for Moana 2 last November. It's grossed over 990 million worldwide. John Fabro is at the helm of the Mandalorian and Grogo, why Dave Filoni still intends to release his Star Wars crossover event movies somewhere down the line. That's not heading our way until after Asoka's season two at the earliest and is expected to serve as the culmination of his post-return of the Jedi era storytelling. while few official details have been revealed were anticipating it being a loose adaptation of heir to the empire. However, Faloni's movie may not be a sure thing.
Starting point is 00:22:54 According to Daniel Rickman, I hear that if the Mando film flops, they reconsider their plans and turn the crossover film into a mini-series. Lucasfilm was reportedly going to play it safe with their shows moving forward, whatever that means. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for that movie to become a TV show. What would hurt is this becomes a yet another abandoned idea from Lucasfilm that we don't see come to fruition. A previous example, which immediately springs to mind is solo Star Wars Story Big Maltese. Oh, and let's not forget the Acolyte's Unresolved ending. During an appearance at Disneyland Star Wars Skeleton crew premiere last month, Faloni shared an exciting update on where things stand with Asoka Season 2.
Starting point is 00:23:30 He said, I'm so well into that as well. I've been writing it and I'm still the single writer on it. And so I've been doing that. But it's a challenge, of course, and working some of these arcs has been a challenge of making sure it's going to come out in a way that I think is exciting for fans. I know they're interested in some of the things I've developed in season one. I'm pretty happy with it. I love working with Rosario, so I can't wait to get back to that.
Starting point is 00:23:50 As for how work has progressed on Mandalorian and Grogu, filmmaker confirmed that shooting was wrapped. I'm very excited about it as well. John and I had a great time working on that, as we always do. It was great seeing Grogu. He's become such a star, and it's amazing how it's evolved. What we can do with the puppetry compared to season one and where we are in a film working with a team that I quite worked with a bit on the puppetry.
Starting point is 00:24:12 Legacy effects did a fantastic job. And what a wonderful little creation grow goods. Okay. So I think Mike, I want to start with you on this because we talk, you know, Star Wars for shit, man, every week for like two years. We were doing the Sith Council.
Starting point is 00:24:31 And are you frozen? Are you just looking straight into the camera? It's frozen. Oh, man. He's going to lose his mind. There he is. I fucking hate this shit. I fucking hate this shit.
Starting point is 00:24:53 How you doing, buddy? You're right? I'm not a digital guy, dude. I'm not a digital guy. I know. I'm an analog man. I'm a CD man. I'm a fucking physical media guy.
Starting point is 00:25:05 What's your bitching? I'm never going to get the hang of it. Which are bitching. Oh, stop it. Hey, give me kiss. Look at me. Come here. Come here.
Starting point is 00:25:15 There you go. Now, look down. Look down. Look down. There's your. There it is. Look at that. Right for you. Come on. Come on, killer. Come on killer. He's a sexy little ass. He's got a huge nuts. Oh, yeah. That's for you, baby. Yeah. Elon Musk, take me to the moon.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Oh, my God. Blast off into space on your face. All right, he's gone. All right. So tell me. Yes. Dave Filoni, this whole thing. What do you got? How you feel about the story? I don't even know if I care anymore. Yeah. What am I supposed to feel? Okay, so the success of his movie depends on Mandu and Grogu. That's what they're saying, yeah. Essentially saying, and they're not going to pump out TV as much as they used to because they're going to pump the brakes on TV, right?
Starting point is 00:26:04 Yes. Not TV, not TV. They probably give, this will probably be a TV movie if they do it. Wait, the man, Philoni's movie is going to be a TV movie? They basically said in that report that if, if this movie doesn't do well, the Mandalorian and Grogu, that they'll probably just turn Philoni's movie into Disney Plus movie. Oh, okay, if it doesn't do well.
Starting point is 00:26:24 Gotcha, got you, got to. Right. That makes sense. I mean, yeah, because a lot of the people that he's involved with, that character-wise, that's not a, most general audiences are, don't know those characters, like the hardcore, like Asoka fans that were the ones that love that show. So maybe that would be a good idea. I don't know. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:43 I don't know, man. But we all say Mando and Grogu is going to kill, right? We all think it's going to do great. I think so. I think it's going to do well. And I think that as they mentioned this article, and Roka and I talked about this yesterday, the strategy of Bob Iger
Starting point is 00:26:56 worked very well from Moana, too. You can say whatever you want about the quality of the movie. I don't think it's terrible. I mean, I think it's better than Mufasa, and they spent $200 million on Mufasa. But the strategy essentially was, and this is how we recapped yesterday, Roxy, was,
Starting point is 00:27:10 Iger comes in and goes, okay, what was Cheapik doing? Well, he made a Moana series. He made a series at a Moana? No, reformed that whole. whole series and turned it into a movie, we'll put it out in the theater at the end of the year. And they did and they almost made a billion dollars doing it. I think the same thing happened with, uh, with Mandalorian and Groga is from the reports
Starting point is 00:27:31 where that Bavro was done was season four. He was finished with it and writing it. And then Iger said, let's just make, we don't have any Star Wars movies. Let's just make this a movie. It's done. This is a written script. It's not a coincidence that this is the first one going out. It also doesn't, it also makes more sense off of my report in that this.
Starting point is 00:27:50 It's going to be Embo that's going to be the villain because that seems like a television villain. It doesn't seem like a big screen villain, but they transfer them over. So what do you think of this strategy overall about them doing that? And do you think it has a shot to make money? I think it's been very confusing for me as a viewer who's not on the business side of the industry to understand how these streamers make money off the streamers in general. So of course, obviously, seeing what happened with Moana and thinking about how much money you can make off of something in theaters versus how much what your cap is making it on a streamer, it's still kind of confusing to me. Like if you guys already have the entire Star Wars audience on your Disney Plus streamer, does any show make you a significant amount of money there?
Starting point is 00:28:42 Of course it does in merch, people resubscribing. But there's got to be a cap that's way lower than what you can make in theaters. So if you believe in a movie or a concept, you think it's good, I would think you would always be able to make more money off of it going to theaters if it's a tent pole film like this. Yeah, I think so also, especially that look, they need a movie. They need a movie. and they don't have any,
Starting point is 00:29:12 that the Ray movie is not close to being done. They don't know, and this is the other thing that they do. They mentioned in that article that what they can't do again is set something up and then there's no payoff to it from the story point of view, right?
Starting point is 00:29:25 What I don't think they can afford to do is stop announcing movies without it coming out. Like, you've already announced that Dave Filoni's movie is coming out in the theater. You've already announced that. And there's going to be another movie
Starting point is 00:29:37 that either turns into a Disney Plus, plus it's the first time, the guy's going to do a theatrical movie and you're going to take it away from him if it doesn't do well. But the stuff that does make sense is that if Mandalorian and Grogu doesn't do well, I understand the thought process of maybe people just don't care about this era or these characters to put them into a theater anymore. Maybe we got to just focus on the mangled stuff and go back in time and do that and create our own universe here. I get it. The thing that makes me nervous also is that the comments that Flonnie says when he's like, well, yeah, I'm a sole writer on Asoka and I'm doing it.
Starting point is 00:30:15 I was like, that's not good. He's not a great writer. Good storyteller. Not a good writer. He's the sole writer again on As Asa, didn't we see Asoka season one? He's a sole writer. No, as a casual fan, I don't know. What, what is he written that you don't love? Asoka, season one. He's just not. It's the only Star Wars live action show I didn't see. So he he did a very good job, I think, in directing the episodes. um in the mandolarian i think he did a very good job there was like one episode that was just okay i think he did the hey mando i think he did that one but i think he did the pilot uh the first episode ever which i thought was done very well as far as directing i think he co-wrote a lot of it with
Starting point is 00:30:55 favro though if i'm not mistaken people can correct it and favro is a very good writer favro knows how to write this stuff it it showed in asoka like you go back and watch those episodes and they're written really poorly um him writing the whole thing again and then leading in is he going to write the whole movie too uh not not great news if that's the case but i think the story makes sense i just think um you know it's it's again it's just backward logic of don't announce anything until you have until you have a product that you know is work i don't know um anyway what do you guys think out there man you think this is something that they should be doing that they should not be doing they should they announce
Starting point is 00:31:40 these things that is give Flonny the movie, even if this one bombs and eats it. Put your thoughts out there, let me know. Okay, before we move on to our other stories, you got some Bill Scarsgaard, potentially going to the MCU, some other things. Let me tell you about this. Starting point is 00:35:09 I throw in some superchats. I support the sponsors. Don't tell me. I can give some constructive criticism. And that's fair. You can? When it's constructive and not turd on the loose stuff. That wasn't.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Anyway. What was it? Something about the sound or I can't. I don't really remember what it was. But I remember looking at it saying, oh, that's fair. I don't get mad when it's actually constructive criticism. I get mad when it's, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:33 people just being turds and then saying stupid names and then they think that's constructive criticism. That's not what. I have a question. Oh, go ahead. Is it the American flag behind us or what's behind us? No, it's not. Here, look.
Starting point is 00:35:46 I'll show. And what's on your hat? That's Transformers 1. Mikey, what's on your hat? It is Grizzly Falls, zip lining in Alaska. Yeah, check that. Roxy, I'll do this quick so you can see. They're not going to have any sound.
Starting point is 00:36:05 There it is. Oh, we'll do that one afterwards. Oh, that's stupid. I hate that. And when we're like this and the little black bar kind of slides down i think someone's coming behind me i'm like yeah i know i kept thinking that it was like a flag waving yeah yeah um you know i was going to go into that uh scars scar's thing but comic movie they posted another um star wars thing oh boy and yeah it's just it's not i mean look i saw
Starting point is 00:36:29 somebody i kicked somebody out of the room because it's just like there's dumb people who just say you guys are f and haters it's like you you can you can't what about what About what are we hating on? What I'm saying, you're allowed to be, again, you can criticize something. Again, my favorite team in sports are the Yankees. There are years that the Yankees have been. How can I not complain about Aaron Judge in the World Series? Terrible.
Starting point is 00:36:55 What do we just complain about? We're not, Roxy. We're just talking about the news. You know, there's certain things. I said that is not the best writer and other things. And right now, it's just that that's how I feel about the, current coaching staff, if you will, doesn't mean that you don't want it to be good.
Starting point is 00:37:13 But people, you know, people are, want their own agendas and stuff too. So that person can go to a different show because they're no longer, they're no longer with us. Which show we recommend? Any other show but this. So, and oh, and the other thing is so you guys know, Roka yesterday had 47.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Okay. 47. I'll be that by the time we get to the comments. You're at 20 right now. Almost 20. So here's this thing. Like that out of you, Mikey. Roxy,
Starting point is 00:37:38 Are you watching this one? Yeah, but I know, I know right now, obviously you're behind. Yeah, but I did. I've watched how many episodes have there been? Because whatever minus one I've watched. I feel like the finale is coming up to, I haven't, I've only watched. I watched the first two. I haven't watched any of it.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Okay. So I've probably seen like five or six. Yeah, you've seen more than me. So the skeleton crew drew even lower viewership numbers during the first week than the Acolyte. There didn't appear to be a huge. huge amount of hype heading into the Skeleton Cruise 2 episode premiere, but the Disney Plus series received the lowest viewership of any Star Wars TV show during its first week.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Josh Wilding reports exploring new parts of a franchise as beloved as Star Wars is no easy task. Would the Mandalorian, for example, have been as popular, his focus solely on the bounty hunters rather than introducing Grogu and featuring appearances from the likes of Luke Skywalker and Asso Cauton. I do think it would have been. I think it was pretty popular before those cameras. Well, not Grogo. Grogo showed up in episode one, but the series revolving around pirates and a group of kids who get lost in the galaxy far, far away, have received positive reviews from fans and critics. However, that doesn't appear to have translated into strong viewership numbers.
Starting point is 00:38:51 According to Nielsen's streaming data, Skeleton Crew received the lowest viewership of any Star Wars TV show premiere in its first week on Disney Plus. The two episode premiere said to have generated less than 382 million minutes watched episode one clocked in at 46, while the second was 29 minutes. The figure is 20% beneath the Acolyte and a long way out the likes of the Mandalorian and O'Bewan Kenobi. For context, the Mandalorian season three received 823 million minutes. Watch, Obi-Wan, 1.26 billion, and Andor's three-episode debut was 624. Acolyte was 488 minus, sorry, minutes. Watch for its two-episode premiere, leaving skeleton crew in the same ballpark as the book of Bobafat, which is 389 minutes, watched for the one episode debut.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Does this matter? Well, these aren't official streaming numbers and should be used more as an indicator of how people tuned in. Skeleton grew viewership has clearly not been high, though suggesting a second season will be off the table. Fingers crossed tonight's finale doesn't end with yet another unresolved cliffhanger. Addressing potential plans for Skeleton Cruise season two last year, John Watts said we have an idea for a second season and we know what we would do.
Starting point is 00:40:02 We have a built-in ticking clock of the kids in their age, And by the time we would get production going. We know what age they would be. So we'd be writing towards that. They'll be growing up with the kids. We wouldn't want to do stranger things like the next day because it won't be. Okay. So and apparently the other thing that people, and I don't know if the people are writing in this in the comments,
Starting point is 00:40:21 but when I talked about this the other day, PLD within seconds wrote me and said the viewership got better over the holidays, right? But how much? You know, like not significantly. Mikey, do you watch a show? No, ma'am. You haven't seen an episode? I haven't watched just a single episode. I'll say this in Harlef.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Someone said something the other day to me that it was online and it really pissed me off about this show. They're explaining, you know, whenever numbers are down like that, the diehards try and get in there and defend the numbers. And they're like, have you ever thought that perhaps maybe just because it's a show geared towards kids that that's why the numbers are lower? Yet it's those same people that when we criticize Star Wars or want more adult storytelling, like Star Wars is made for kids. you forgot that when you grew up.
Starting point is 00:41:06 So which is it? Is it Star Wars always was made for kids? And we were just adults that kind of grew out of it and want that heyday of it, but we're not thinking like a kid, like we did when we first saw it. Or is this show specifically for kids? And then there's some Star Wars that's going to be for adults. Like, which is it?
Starting point is 00:41:23 And that's why these diehards that can't admit that sometimes shows don't work. Well, I mean, look here. What is it? Because, you know, you get on that too. Or if we talk about this, like people, Like, Star Wars is for kids. You forgot that, you dumb big adult. There's a kid.
Starting point is 00:41:38 You grew up with it. No, Star Wars is generational storytelling. It's for everybody. So this show seems to be geared towards kids. I'm not here to comment as much on the numbers because that's just not my area of expertise. But as somebody who's watched the show, other than the most recent episode, it's definitely geared towards kids. There's no doubt about that. You know, some people have been arguing like,
Starting point is 00:42:04 This isn't for kids. It's for everyone. And I think you can enjoy it as everyone, but it's certainly geared towards kids. Sometimes I do feel a little bit silly watching it alone, like not watching it with a niece or nephew or kid because I'm like, these lessons are so sweet and good. You know, there's a lot of lessons between a couple of the main characters on communication and how important it is to talk to your friends when you're going through something. And not to trust everybody, but to trust the ones you love. Like there's a lot of really good core lessons. And in general, I think that the show is really good, like for who it's going towards. That's the difference, Rocks. Rocks, that's the difference there. If you're going to put like Acolyte and this, right? You're not seeing the criticisms and people kind of going after the show the way that they went an Ackleite. It's just not doing well because I think maybe partially because of Ackleite and other things too. There are some people who are just not interested in this show.
Starting point is 00:42:57 And I do think because it is geared towards kids, I do think that there are a lot of people that if they, tuned into it would wind up enjoying it but aren't because they go you know what as you just said i don't have kids not going to watch this one doesn't really not really talking to me on this one so i'm not going to check it out i i enjoyed the first two episodes i have had no desire to go back to it at all i don't know the last star wars thing that i missed know what this reminds me of and again i haven't seen it so i don't know for sure it reminds me of the ewalk adventure movies right yeah i know she means like yeah the films were the films for everybody and they if you want a little Star Wars, but with kids, we're going to do this.
Starting point is 00:43:37 And this will be like a fun Star Warsy world thing. Right. It's more for kids. And that's fine. And I'm the one of the people that I think Star Wars should be, I think we should have our rated Star Wars that's adult and graphic. And I think we should have stuff like skeleton crew. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:51 That's for kids. Yeah, but Mike, you know what the problem is? You know what the problem is though? Because when it needs to be four quadrant, I get it. Well, no, but not just that. When they did that, that, uh, Endor series, Star Wars that was in, it's peak like everybody wanted to watch everything star wars right now star wars needs to be focusing on the stuff that's going to get the audience talking about it again and getting like look at the
Starting point is 00:44:17 mandolarian you know when the mandolarian came out mandolian came out in a place after last jedi and rise of skywalker they're like oh man i don't know and then it got everybody talking about star wars again you're like okay here we go and then it was just they just boom boom boom boom and then you get to a place where you have a show that Roxy likes, everybody that is watching it likes. It's high quality show, but people are exhausted by it. And it's like,
Starting point is 00:44:39 no, this is not a show that I'm interested in. It's a good show, sure, but I'm not interested in it. And that's why the ratings are low, even if it did build back up. I think that's what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Like, I agree 100%. I think Star Wars is in a place where, like, when DC with Blue Beetle came out. Like, Blue Beetle was a fun movie. It was good. But at that point,
Starting point is 00:45:00 everyone was exhausted. Like, oh, it's rebooting. this wasn't good, that wasn't good, why am I watching this? I think that's where Star Wars is right now. It's like, but Star Wars is unlike D.C., where they're going, hold on,
Starting point is 00:45:14 we're getting through these last couple of ones, then we're rebooting. We're going, there's Star Wars like still chugging along, throwing spaghetti at the wall. Yeah, that's... You know I still haven't seen Blue Beetle. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Oh, you'd love that. How weird is that? Good. It's good. That to me should have been a streaming show, a streaming movie, like a streaming movie. it shouldn't yeah i think roxy i think roxy like that movie it was fine i think i really like it
Starting point is 00:45:37 it's just so weird i liked it too the guy was good i just missed the actor was great yeah show yeah um anyway so we'll see if the how and or will do that's that's what i'm curious about right like if this effect will have because and or when it came out the original um numbers weren't great for that and then it built up over time after all the accolades that it had um and who knows maybe skills and crew will have that i don't think he's going to have the same kind of um because i just think it's so tough when you're dealing when you're in that genre where you're trying to go in that kid adventure as opposed to a darker story like and or which felt like it should about an HBO um i want to know how the season two uh ratings for and or
Starting point is 00:46:21 will be and or like you just said they were never the ratings were they didn't read huge viewership no but it started to get better once only awards stuff came out yeah yeah so so we'll see um Anyway, I still go to my confusion on. I don't really understand how these streaming service shows are sustainable, especially if they're as expensive as a lot of them are. I don't think they realize, like, we don't know what we're doing with this. We can't quantify numbers and... Like, we made an entire television was all based off of ads.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Then they were like, no, no, we're not doing that anymore. And now they're like, actually, we all need to have ad services back. But we can't sustain this. Roxy, I just have to ask you a quick because I didn't get your opinion on it. Did you? Oh yeah, it was before the everything went down, so I'm sure you did. Did you watch the Golden Globes?
Starting point is 00:47:08 I did watch the Golden Globes. How great was Nikki Glazer? She's perfect. She's going to start being in movies. I hope she does book for years to come the Golden Globes because I know they're negotiating right now the next five years or something. She's,
Starting point is 00:47:22 I think she's amazing. I've been obviously a huge fan of hers for forever. And then everybody, she kind of got on a lot of people's radars with the Tom Brady Bros. Tom Brady roast. Yeah. To me, it's like, it's kind of a roast joke, I guess, but she's like, Nikki Glazer is if Amy Schumer was funny. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:47:45 She reminds me, I think that she's kind of similar in some ways to Eliza sometimes. Like they, they have, they have a kind of, definitely. And I love Eliza. Yeah. Yeah, I think that I think Nikki's so great. And yes, I think that, I think that, movies, but per Nikki on Nikki, I'm not saying something
Starting point is 00:48:05 she's not saying on herself. I don't know that emoting something in her face. Apparently Tony, Kill Tony already did that one. Oh, well. Oh. So thanks, Stephanie. Excuse me. Oh, that's funny. You were using a Kill Tony joke. I don't watch the fucking every goddamn
Starting point is 00:48:21 videos. Do they let me know. I guess he told that. I guess Kill Tony. Is that a person? Oh, yeah. He's huge. He killed. Kill Tony is the one who did the joke at the Trump thing that caused all those stuff. Puerto Rico. Yeah, yeah. But he's massive.
Starting point is 00:48:34 I've known, I've known him for a while. I didn't realize it. Well, there you go. So good. At least I'm writing. At least I'm writing well. There you go.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So there you go. Anyway. Mike, what's going on your head right now? What's the smirk? I'm just listening.
Starting point is 00:48:52 I'm looking at my dogs and I'm just in my own world. I'm just, Shannon put this film. It's like a opaque, fill him over the windows. Uh-oh. And our house, because our dog is hypersensitive
Starting point is 00:49:05 and we're trying to train him to not bark at every single thing that walks by the house. Oh, God. So now he's looking out the window, but he can't see anything. So he's just kind of like lost puppy dog. I hate it.
Starting point is 00:49:18 I think it literally, so our house looked like shit. But, you know, you got to train this dog. All right. Mike, what's good? I got something from Mike. Oh, no, I don't want to talk about that.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Mike, I got something for you. Because this is a story that you got for me. No, here's one. I'm so curious how you feel about this. Oh, this guy. Well, because I know you liked X-Men, the new one, right? I did, yeah, yeah. So Bo DeMeo was reportedly set to write and consult on MCU live-action reboot
Starting point is 00:49:48 prior to firing. It seems that Marvel Studios had intended for Bo DeMayo to work in the live-action X-Men reboot prior to the former X-Men 97 showrunners firing. Mark Casti writes, Marvel Studios. Disney fired original X-Men 97 showrunner Bo DeMaio shortly before the animated revival shows world premiere. There are conflicting reports about what exactly occurred, but the Mayo is said to have been terminated for sending lewd photos to members of his staff, and there have been further allegations claiming that he was physically and sexually inappropriate with several of his colleagues. The Mayo has always denied this, suggesting that his firing was simply due to homophobia and claiming that he was stripped of his X-Men 97 season two credits,
Starting point is 00:50:30 shortly after sharing some gay Pride month fan art of himself in a skimpy Cyclops costume. Now, we're hearing that Marvel may have intended for DeMayo to play a big role in the Mutant's eventual live-action MCU debut. YouTuber, she dreads me, believes DeMayo was set to write and consult on the upcoming X-Fin reboot prior to his dismissal and to ask him about it for, and to ask him about it for confirmation. Sure enough, DeMayo then responded to a query about the project by claiming the intention was for me to consult or write it before I made my civil rights complaints to on Blaine. Though Marvel does finally appear to be making progress in the elusive X-Men movie official updates have been few and far between.
Starting point is 00:51:13 All we know for sure is that Michael Leslie is currently working on the script and that a director is being sought. Stranger Things Alum, Sadie Sink is rumored to be in contention for the role of Gene Gray. And we've also heard that the studio is interested in Cynthia Revo for Storm. And some of the X-Men made their debut in the next Avengers movies. which they are rumored to do, there's a chance we could get some casting news soon. Okay. So this bums me out because there's no world where this guy should be writing on this movie today.
Starting point is 00:51:46 But it's really would have been great if he did because this guy gets Axeman. He really does. He understands it. But Roxy, you hear this story. What do you think? Well, remember I was super late to the game with knowing anything about this because I didn't watch X-Men. And I think you told me, Christian, you were like, wait, what? You've missed the entire thing of why he's not coming back for season two and all this stuff. And I had missed it all.
Starting point is 00:52:11 So I really don't know much about this specific story. But this does happen all the time, of course. Like there's this guy who created English teacher. Do you, have you guys heard of that show? I think I talked about it on. Yeah. Yes. It's the one I told you. You got mad at me because I passed off on an interview. Well, the main guy and creator who probably is the person you pass on the interview with
Starting point is 00:52:36 is now being accused of horrific things. So maybe it's a good choice not to do. But they cannot, to me, they cannot do the show without him. So it is,
Starting point is 00:52:47 and obviously that's the least of the worries, but it is always like, hmm, a lot of really people who are very talented, really great at their job don't deserve to be working. And that's, tough yeah uh real quick before we do so stephanie litz who wrote the comment before with a kill
Starting point is 00:53:04 tony if she said she didn't it was it's the way she intended it was written wrongly i get very very um when it comes to comedians like stealing jokes and other things too and i know you weren't it's not it's not it's no joke and people don't really understand it um so like i remember there was a particular comedian well-known comedian that had taken one of my jokes one night at the comedy store and I walked up to them and I said, I do that joke here every night and they're like, oh, I never saw it. I'm like, can you not do it again? And because it, it, yeah, it's a thing.
Starting point is 00:53:43 So I get very, um, sensitive when it comes to us. Is possible they never saw it? Maybe. But I, I benefited the doubt and never did it again after I talked to them about it. Oh, that's good. Yeah. And, um, I've never been accused of taking jokes. I know, again, a person wasn't doing that.
Starting point is 00:54:01 So I get very sensitive about it when it comes to it. So apology accepted Stephanie. And the same thing, if it was coming off of that. If that's not how you were intending it, then apologies for saying it that particular way. Stephanie's a good supporter of the show. So I just wanted to, so I was surprised. I was surprised.
Starting point is 00:54:18 I was glad to know that it just communication came off wrong. Mike, what's your thoughts on this? Well, you know, I've been around Bo de Mayo, at Comic Con and his lore and knowledge of X-Men is incredible. And just comics in general, like, he's such a font of knowledge and he gets it. I get that. I get it, you know, but also, you know, I send a picture of my thing to a co-worker. I'm gone.
Starting point is 00:54:48 Hands down, there's no me getting to fight for my thing and my rights and this and that. You know, he was saying that it's going to come out and it still hasn't come out. what the truth was and then he wanted to say his truth but you had to support you to go to his Patreon and buy it. Wasn't his only fans? Yeah. Yeah. But his only fans, he had an only fans before he got X-Men. He'd always have to
Starting point is 00:55:10 go to his only fans and buy it. Yeah, whatever. Patreon and only fans. But then to me... Well, it's a little different. Is it though? Anyway. But anyway. But then like after Saul came out, he's still posting
Starting point is 00:55:25 shirtless picks of him on this and that. I was like, dude, if you're trying to kind of clean up the image and have people support your side and you're still, I don't know, man. It's like you're such a good writer, but you're really kind of shooting yourself in the foot because no one, you're problematic. No one wants to work with the guy and it's a bummer because like, you know, he's so good. It's just like, so good. He knows the image. Like we're all sexual people.
Starting point is 00:55:50 We all are. Some people flaunt it more than others. You know, Rock, what was at Facebook. We're all. I don't think we all. I don't think we all are. They're asexual. The people that hide at the best are the freakiest motherfuckers on the planet.
Starting point is 00:56:04 There's literally people who identify as not sexual, asexual. All right. We're not going to get into this now. I'm not getting into this now. Maybe you meant like we all are. But I don't think we all are. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:56:18 It doesn't matter. Listen, the point is that the guy is not going to be doing this. And it's a bummer because he really, when you look at explanation. He does. He's so good. But he can't. Did you see the thread? People were ripping apart, what if? Because they really dropped the ball.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Yeah, he did it too. Yeah. And he listed like, he just listed 20 what if stories and every one of those would have been better than anyone we got. Easily. That should show is how good he is it what he does. It's just that's the problem is. You get people who just can't, they're their own worst enemies. And he clearly.
Starting point is 00:56:48 Yeah. There you go, buddy. He clearly is. Look, there's other stories that we could talk about. You know, like I said, there's the Scars Guard is rumored to be in the MC. you after rumor he's been in the MCU. What was he in? What was he? He was that talking
Starting point is 00:57:03 octopus and Eternals. Was he really? I forgot the character's bad. He was the bad guy in Eternals. He think he had three lines and it was this. Wow. I don't remember that but I believe you. I believe you. Speaking of the rumors though, in that article
Starting point is 00:57:19 I think it said that Cynthia Revo Oh yeah, we talked about it. I thought that that wasn't a rumor. I thought she's just bidding for that. She's bidding for it and apparently she's met with Marvel but like so so let me see roxy let me see if you're this is this will be very interesting so i've asked i haven't asked mike and i haven't but i've asked everyone on the show this week this question everyone has had the same answer um so i'm curious what your answer is do you think that cynthia erivo is right to place is the right choice to get cast in storm
Starting point is 00:57:46 well i know everybody has said no i know that every person has said that you think so i know that because I know that you've had Coy and Coy believes that she's not a good fit. That's why I know that. It was interesting because then I heard Coy pitching some other people and some of them, yes, and some of them know. But I think that while it wouldn't necessarily be where my brain initially went with Storm, I think she could knock it out of the park because she's Cynthia Revo and I bet she'd be amazing. but no I feel like I don't think it's the perfect
Starting point is 00:58:24 casting fit but if she was cast I'd be stoked for her and I think she'd make it really great Mike what do you think I'm kind of like Roxy I think she's a great actress but I want Wanda Wise yeah I think that also
Starting point is 00:58:39 I saw her and then someone did like her and like all this Hodge is Black Panther and I'm like he just made a pitch about that himself but one he did that but someone put the two of them together and something and again I don't care for fan art, like stuff like that, but just knowing their work, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:58:54 oh, that would be so good together. I agree with this. And for me, for me, I think that he's, Aldous Hodge, Cynthia Revo to me is too little to play Storm. I think Storm needs to be bigger. And she's too,
Starting point is 00:59:10 she's petite, she's small. I think there's other roles that she could play in the MCU. I don't think Storm is the way. I think that Jody Turner Smith is somebody who's interesting. But also the question is, especially after seeing she is Jody Turner Smith isn't she
Starting point is 00:59:23 Oh no I'm thinking She was she was an accolade Joni Turner Smith was But she was also in Bad Monkey Where she was great in Bad Monkey And it's that type of role that I think That movie I saw her in where she was fucking phenomenal A couple of years ago
Starting point is 00:59:41 New cars Judy Turner Smith Yeah it was so good I'm gonna look at that bright after But I wonder but I also wonder age-wise. It's also age-wise because they're going with Sadie Sink. I don't know how much older. Cynthia Reeve was almost 40 years old. Queen and Slim. Yeah. Do you guys see that movie? Oh, that's with Lekeith Stanfield, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Oh, I heard about it. I didn't see it though. Anyway,
Starting point is 01:00:04 all right, so that's, those are the topics that we're going to cover here today. We got questions and you guys heard. I said yes too quickly. It was with Daniel Kalulia. Okay. I haven't, I didn't see it in a long time. Oh, I did. is in it as well, but maybe he wasn't. O'Kee would bind. Oh, Flee was in it. It's fine, Roxy. It's fine.
Starting point is 01:00:29 All right. First question that we have here as we start off. And again, we're starting off at 28. You guys need to beat Roque. If you want to beat Roque, you need 20 more. And I think you can do it. As Mike said, you know, you already have 28 kind of going into it. You start with Johnny
Starting point is 01:00:44 venerable says Lucasville needs to bring back Boba Fett correctly. I mean, I think they can do it easily. I mean, they did it. I think Robert Rodriguez did it great in that episode of Mandalorian. I think that was, I wish that that's the series we thought we were getting from that episode. But I don't know. You guys think you just leave, let us leave him be.
Starting point is 01:01:06 Yeah. I actually let go ahead, Mikey. No, that's it. That's you. I always take my lead from you guys. I'm casual. I think the, I'm not saying the damage is done. I don't want to say that,
Starting point is 01:01:22 but the character's been, the character that they wanted to introduce, the way they introduced him is done. You can't redo his, what you've done with the character at this point. You know what I'm saying? I kind of agree with you. He's the landlord of tattooing now.
Starting point is 01:01:35 That's what his role is. We're not going to suddenly make him a badass gangster. Again. He turned the leaf and went down that path. Unless, unless you go prequel with him, you know. But then what do you tell him?
Starting point is 01:01:48 Before, before Empire? Yeah, kind of like. Yeah, then you're not using Tamara Morrison. Right. Right. But you've established that they look like him, so what are you doing? It's true. Bobo is done. Mando is the new version of Bova.
Starting point is 01:02:02 Because remember, Mando is what we wanted Boba Fett to be. The badass bounty hunter. We got Mando. So there's no need for Boba anymore. And anyone that loves him, sorry, you got what you got. Yeah. All right. Roxy, what do you think? That sucks. That's a bummer for you guys.
Starting point is 01:02:17 I don't feel as connected, so I liked what we got. Fair enough. All right. Next one. This is, thank you, Hunter. Everyone brings up whether or not Gunn or Reeves wants Battenson in the DCU. But has anyone asked Pattinson if he wants to be locked into the DCU, maybe that's a holdup on all this. The rumor is that he wants that he's very much interested.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Now, how true that is, I don't know, but apparently he want, a lot of people want to work with James Gunn, he wants to be part of it and wants to. That's why the room, that's why it hasn't been him. But I don't know, do you guys hearing anything else on that? I haven't heard anything new. Yeah. I don't think that any part of the holdup is Robert Pattinson. Not me either.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Rocks. Yeah. I haven't asked you this being a D.C. girl. What are your thoughts on Pattinson, the Reeves versus going into guns thing? Yeah. I go back and forth all the time on this. You know, I don't feel like. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:14 So you feel like it's a no-go. Don't do it. Absolutely not. You're destroying everything you're trying to set up by just, going, yeah, we're going to keep this and no. Yeah, I would guess that that's how you feel. And I think that that's how I feel 75% of the time.
Starting point is 01:03:29 But then there's 25% of the time where I'm like, he's really good. And if you could just make this work, then it does, it feels like for the masses, it might be the most streamlined, makes sense, you know, like
Starting point is 01:03:45 there are different cities and different vibes and different energies and Batman doesn't have to have the same kind tone that Superman does. I'll say this, Rox, to kind of up to your point. If they did use him, I would want it to be Robert Pattinson playing
Starting point is 01:04:01 his 40-year-old self, clean-cut, handsome Bruce Wayne, different bad suit, different bat cave. Just he is the character playing Batman, but it's not the Reeves Batman. Because we even seen him, like, when you see Robert Pattinson on the right of
Starting point is 01:04:17 carpet, that is Bruce Wayne. Like the classic handsome Yeah, he really is. Billionaire. He fits perfectly. Colors hair, make his hair brown instead of the black
Starting point is 01:04:26 like he is. But then does he keep doing the Reeves Batman movies? I don't know. Other Batman movies? I don't know. We've been talking about it. It's,
Starting point is 01:04:33 that's another developing story that's just going to keep on, keep on coming. Hunter follows it up. It's just obviously not what any of them wanted when Gunn made these first announcements. I think it's a mistake pushing if the rumors are true.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Here's a thing to that point. Reeves, Gunn was in a terrible spot when DC said we got a reboot because still projects were going that were working, the Batman peacemaker. Like if he had his way, they're having to retcon a lot
Starting point is 01:05:01 of the peacemaker. Like, he made that. He made suicide squad. He's like, oh, I love these actors. I like these characters, but we got to get rid of everything and I can't keep Gal and Henry, but I really like my brother who's in it. And I really like Amanda Waller who's in it. And that Batman movie that just came out
Starting point is 01:05:17 was really good, but I can't do this. Like he's, and he was trying to cherry pick what he wanted and to work and it was a terrible time to reset DC but they had to go they had to yeah and so there's still how they're going to make some of this stuff can and i'm very curious that peacemaker's gonna yeah we're gonna and it's gonna be interesting um hunter also says christian i'm heartbroken over the guardians of the galaxy reaction you and me both was really looking forward to that one i'm sorry that that happened what are you talking about i'll tell you in a second roxy we are glad that you are all safe um we've been doing a a first time watch of the end
Starting point is 01:05:51 MCU with Sam. She's actually coming over here today to to knock out, um, uh, Ultron. And we've been watching it. She hasn't seen any of them. She's loving it. We just did. We had done for winter soldiers. We lost. Did you watch the reaction? Yeah. Oh yeah. It was great, wasn't it? Because to know someone that didn't know that Bucky was the winter soldier. She didn't. She didn't. She really didn't know. No. She, she knows nothing. She's a mother of mother of mother three who just basically, her whole life was for, for, for It's a kid's taking her kids to basketball games, everything too. She knows him from seeing them on Billboard's stuff, but she doesn't, she doesn't watch them. She's seen one out of the three Toby McGuire Spider-Man movies that give you an thing.
Starting point is 01:06:32 That's so cool. I'm glad she's on your channel, man. Me too. So she, but so we're watching Guardians and it might be the best reaction out of all of them. She's loving rocket. She's laughing her ass off. She's just digging it. She's like, it's the best.
Starting point is 01:06:47 Two hours into the review, right after the freaking Ronan, dance off quick time thing pops up and says this file is corrupt corrupted i'm like what and i look i i can't i'm looking at it right now and it just staring at me in the face and it sent it off to somebody but it costs so much money it was like it was it just wasn't worth it so we shot that we shot a reaction to the ending of it and i was like you know what i'm not going to do is fake it do another one i'm never no it's happened to me a couple of times at real rejects it sucks it's The only thing we don't ever do is retape because you can't. It's just not that it's not genuine.
Starting point is 01:07:27 So I, we just recorded what we had and put it up there. So today I'm just going to make sure. And I know why it happened. So again, now I know for that to not happen again. Oh, it sucks. It was the worst. It was the worst. So today we're doing Ultron.
Starting point is 01:07:40 Roman Fedorak. Hey, all hope everyone is doing well today. Hearts going out to you and the family, Roxy. Always happy to see you and Mello Mike on the podcast. That's the first time anyone's ever called him. Melo, Mike. Mike. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Obviously, to be abundantly clear, I still have a home and my grandparents have a home, which means that I'm very clearly one of the lucky ones here. So it's hearts going out. I really appreciate that. And it has been scary and it has made me realize how much if you don't have your safety, you have fucking nothing. But it's like 15 of my friends have lost their home, 15. It's just that.
Starting point is 01:08:18 And I know, I know Christian, you know people as well. Yeah, it's brutal. It's absolutely brutal. But same thing. Glad of everybody's safe. Mike, too, even though Mike's not around it, I'm just,
Starting point is 01:08:28 to hear friends saying, no, not around it. It's like, it's like, oh, thank goodness. It sounds so crazy with Christian.
Starting point is 01:08:34 I'm so glad you moved because, like, dealing with this with kids, as I'm dealing with my grandparents, and I'm so scared every second, dealing with kids. They're so far removed from it. It's where you are,
Starting point is 01:08:46 but you're the same place you've been for, well, you had the garbage problem with your landlord, with the cans right no oh it's a different place than that yes I'm west side west side yeah she's not too far from where I was Mike yeah just further west yeah got you oh okay um but where my grandparents are is like up in the is what you were staring I'll show you guys like this freakiest picture that you if you want to post it send it then text it to me and I'll play it I'll play here I'm trying not to oh fuck I froze of course you for so why
Starting point is 01:09:19 Oh, yeah. Yeah, you froze. Come back for a second, Mike. Roman Fedorik said, I finally saw Nosephiratu. So good. Scars Guard is unrecognizable. Honestly, thought for a minute that his voice was dubbed in like James Earl Jones or Darth Vader. Yeah, I know, he was really fantastic.
Starting point is 01:09:37 And is the other one that you guys see that one? I want to. I haven't had a chance yet. He's a great performance. He's a great villain. He's a great actor overall. Roman follows it up and says, I've been rewatching the Star Wars rewatches. Since we did not get your take.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Mike. Dare I ask you, your thoughts on Last Jedi? Apologize if that sets him loose. You're on the rewatch for that. I think it's a great movie by itself. Following up Force Awakens where you took the roadmap and just said, nah, we're not going that place. We're going somewhere else.
Starting point is 01:10:09 I watch it, if I watch it by itself, there's a lot I love. But in the middle of a trilogy that was never had a plan, for where it's going it's it just is derailed everything yeah um crystal tell me if you can see this this is what i'm what i'm looking at that's your roof no this is when i'm not my grandparents where i've been staying every day yes i don't see and so it's like we i tried to grammy vomited she was so sick oh my god she was so ill thinking we had to leave because bopo whatever and and so i tried to get her to watch i had never seen 80 for brady i thought it would be fun yeah and we're watching 80 for brady this way and out of this eye you're seeing that
Starting point is 01:10:49 This is how you're seeing 80 for Brady. That's insane. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you're. Anyway, keep going with the people. Crystal DW family. Glad Roxy is safe. Those videos coming out of California just looks so scary.
Starting point is 01:11:02 I can't even imagine how stressed living near that would be. Stay stuff. Yeah, and Roxy was just saying, and I can't even imagine it because she's taken care of our grandparents and having to deal with that in general. One of my friends who just lost her house, she bought the house. They moved in six days prior. She's been saving her whole.
Starting point is 01:11:19 her whole life just bought her dream house and lost it she has a one-year-old baby oh my god and the house burnt to the ground and but they got out with their baby six days into it six days oh they weren't even there for one week oh yeah and oh that's like brutal brutal horrible I couldn't even imagine oh my god imagine like you buy your first house you have a baby and then you've got to get the baby I mean it's almost like a baby I guess would be better than a kid you have to explain what's happening to still it's it yeah oh I'm sorry that's how Michael. Mike Joyce, well, Neil Gaiman is a real POS. I mean, that's coming off of the reports today, too. I mean, what happened? I haven't seen anything. He was accused of a whole, he was accused of a whole bunch of stuff. Now,
Starting point is 01:11:58 again, I'm going to, I'll rephrase that from Mike. I'm going to rephrase this, because I don't like when people do this. So I'm going to rephrase this. So I'm going to rephrase this. I'm going to refraise this. So I'm going to, I'll rephrase it. Wow. If it turns out that Neil Gaiman is guilty for all this stuff that he's accused of, he's a real POS. That's how I'm going to do it. What happened? What it allegedly happened? A bunch of sexual harassment stuff that if he did it, he's a real POS. Many different people
Starting point is 01:12:28 Yeah, I think so. I think so. Like I read the, there's a Vulture article that didn't read. I read the rapper Hollywood reporters thing and it's a lot of seems to stuff that was mutual until the person didn't want to be mutual and then they had
Starting point is 01:12:46 to sign NDAs and yeah. There's a lot of like creepy stuff, but like, again, like you say, Christian, to say someone's thing, it's like, let's see what happens. Let's see the facts. Did this just get talked about today? Today. Today.
Starting point is 01:13:04 That came out this summer. That was a podcast dealing with it. Yeah, there was something about it, but this morning there was a lot more reports that came out too. So Mike Joyce follows it up. I hope you're able to get some sleep, Roxy. How are you able to function without sleep? Whenever I step past 1 a.m., my whole day is a wash.
Starting point is 01:13:18 Yeah, I mean, not, I'm wild. Yeah. I'm not good without sleep. I don't know how you do it. Usually I can sleep very little, but this is, I haven't gone into REM. I'm not asleep long enough with my alarms to go into REM. But my cousin came to watch my grandparents for one night. She drove from San Diego so that I could go home for a night.
Starting point is 01:13:40 And I got five hours. And that felt like I got five years. 15 hours. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Like, okay, baby. Yeah, good for you. Yeah, you need to try to take some naps.
Starting point is 01:13:50 Mike Joyce says my younger siblings who like to hang out of bars with their friends until 4 a.m. Say that's a sign of me getting old, but I'm a year younger than you. Yeah, I mean, look, certain people's bodies deal with it differently, too, Mike. You know, it's totally true. Goose the loose. Great profile picture. Favreau and Flonin have been on a bad stake from Boba Fett through Asoka. Them being fans isn't cutting it anymore.
Starting point is 01:14:16 Mando needs new blood at the helm. Street. I don't know if Mando needs new blood at the helm, but I definitely think Star Wars does. Because Mando, let them take it to the finish line and see what happens, you know, with this movie. This is going to be the end of it. Let it be that.
Starting point is 01:14:32 But, yeah, go pal. Hey, Roxy. I just saw Tara and your Hobbit reactions. What was the big mistake you said you made? I didn't notice anything. I'm glad you're safe. Have you been getting comments for it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:45 It's like some of the people, the good people, the sweet people, don't even look at the comments. They just watch the movie. They give it a thumbs up and then they leave. I text a Christian about this. You remember what this mistake I made was? Yeah, it was calling Evangeline Lily. What's her face the whole time, right? I thought she was Arwen. That's not too bad of a mistake. I mean. Are you getting murdered for it? Oh my God, yes. And I was like, wow. So her and Legloss knew each other like this long? That's not right. I mean, if you're not a big fan of that It's like, they look very similar. Yeah, they do.
Starting point is 01:15:23 It's not like one's blonde and one's brunette. They're both brunettes. They're both beautiful, angular featured elves. But then it got very clear when he was like loving her. I was like, this is so strange that that's never came up in Lord of the Rings. And I was like, aha. It was about 15 minutes where I was wrong. And I was like commenting on how.
Starting point is 01:15:42 But not as bad, but it's not as bad as Lord of the Rings. As far as getting the comments. Well, just because there's less of you. viewers. Like, you know, the Lord of the Rings ones have half a million viewers and they all just, because Mikey missed all this. I don't know how to I say, I say all the names wrong. I like mispronounce all the name. I loved watching this franchise. I think it's so unbelievable. Like maybe the best trilogy of all time. You just watched it for the first. I watched the first Lord of the Rings movie when I was, I think, nine. Oh my God. something and so i had no recollection i know i know can kill me well austin b says
Starting point is 01:16:20 hats fur coats congestion prices nothing better than story time with christian and roxy yeah i'm telling you i wish roxy i wish you would have been with me i would have said i would have said no you know he's not moving his hat it was so silly that's the weird new york thing to happen
Starting point is 01:16:36 it was really weird i would not think that in new york but it was it was weird she was like some old like i don't know if she was old i couldn't tell it because it was dorisian uh wolfman uh crystal d w fan sorry roxy that sounds so stressful stupid fires it's true it is very i can't wait until they're over and we can start rebuilding like i saw a bunch people in the comments earlier being like move on like move on why and it's like i absolutely will when the fires are when the fires are gone yeah right this you know That's, well, that's silly. They say there it's 17% containment by me.
Starting point is 01:17:18 Right. Happy to move on. Can't walk to move on. And also people need to understand is when they say it's contained, that doesn't mean it's 17% out. No. It just means that they've got it cornered. Like the perimeter. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:29 So that doesn't even mean anything. The contained thing. It's, it is scared. When you can still see active fire and active smoke, you're not sleeping well because you're scared you're going to be lit on fire and lose. everything. My every, I went through everything of my grandparents and mine. Every letter my mom's ever written me is in my car. Every photo of like my great, great grandparents where you could never get the, it's in my car. So when you like your whole life is in your car, when I can put that stuff back, I absolutely will move on. Can't wait to move on. Happy too. Meek Wesley. Hey, Christian, I want to
Starting point is 01:18:08 clarify the Battlestar Galactica thing if it hasn't been already. Caprica six, does deal with an infant in the pilot miniseries. I thought so. Baby from season two was likely Hera, the first Cylon human hybrid. I thought so. I'm telling you. It hasn't been.
Starting point is 01:18:22 I don't know what she missed it. She was probably, I don't know what she was doing, but I'm going to break her chops. Wait, what are you guys talking about? Is she watching Battlestar right now for the first? So she watched the pilot,
Starting point is 01:18:31 and I said, how about that baby thing that happens? And she's like, no baby thing happens in the first one. And I was like, yeah, it does. Did she do it this week? No. No, it was a while ago. step all the time she i'd be shocked if she missed it because like we'll be talking about dune
Starting point is 01:18:47 prophecy and she'll be like when this this this this happened i'm like i completely missed that what so that's why she missed it because i thought so no no the opposite she usually catches everything and i no no no because is what he says here prime has the miniseries and the series separated so she probably started from the series and she missed she missed the miniseries he went right into it i knew it i knew that that's what happened um step may have been confused by that I think that's exactly what happened. Thanks for letting us know on that one. I'm going to give her an update when she's on on Thursday.
Starting point is 01:19:16 I've actually never watched Battlestar. Oh, you did it. Yeah, it's great. Mike Joyce. It's great. Roxy, how's Grammy and the rest of your family in your area doing now? I'm getting texts from the person that I have with them right now saying that the wind is starting to pick up,
Starting point is 01:19:32 but it's still looking like it's not going in her direction. I think everybody is very tired and really excited for this to not excited. but looking to the point where this is over and we can start to rebuild thank you for checking in everyone uh matt thomas personally i love the soka and i understand the critiques rebels is my favorite star war story it's pretty damn good ever told and it felt like a natural continuation of it yes no uh asoka was a very lore rich show and i feel like that's the issue yeah but the problem was from the guy who created the show the consistency and the characters weren't there like uh ezra was completely different and um
Starting point is 01:20:09 And Sabine was the same from, but she was supposed to be 30 years old. And she was acting like she was still 18 or 19. So there was some stuff inside of it that was really great for rebels fans, but a lot of the times too, and this is not an insult to the overall, sometimes there's writing and animation that can play because of the way that you can move animated characters and everything. And you can do certain things,
Starting point is 01:20:34 animation that you give it a pass that in live action, it doesn't play. And I felt like that's the problem with Asoka. the stormtroopers, the zombie stormtroopers, not even they can hit anything. It was so goofy at the end. It wasn't, it wasn't scarier at all.
Starting point is 01:20:49 And Thrawn was just completely underused and not, not threatening. Raymond Verada, what's your reaction on the news about Neil Gaiman being accused by nine women, nine, wow, of sexual assault. I feel bad for the fans who love this work. Bless you. The reaction to me.
Starting point is 01:21:06 Yeah, yeah. The reaction for me is that, again, that this is these are horrible, in the same way that like with, with Vince, this is terrible. And as, as Mike,
Starting point is 01:21:17 um, joy said before, if it is all true, then this guy is horrendous, atrocious and has to pay for his action. Um, and I feel terrible for, for the women that,
Starting point is 01:21:28 nine women, that's horrible. But I don't know enough of the details, guys. What do you? I, I didn't hear about it. Joe,
Starting point is 01:21:34 so I really, I've just read the articles that have come out. And it's, it, the things that they were talking about, were mutual things that happened that went too far. There's a lot of NDAs were signed. It's like NDAs and payments sent to people.
Starting point is 01:21:50 So I'm just like, I don't know. I don't know anything. I don't know what. Right. Right. Yeah. So it's, you got to wait for more news to come out there too. Pete Parker, 22.
Starting point is 01:22:01 You guys already beat Roker. You're 57. Pete Parker 2288. Christian, was it better than Wolfman 2010? I think the answer is yes. Also, what is everyone's, favorite schmodown match i love dagnino versus kaiser i don't remember those two playing each other but i believe it um i mean it's hard for me not to say i mean there's so many great matches
Starting point is 01:22:21 but the one that changed the game for me was merle versus roka won i mean it really it really was there's some great matches overall but that that one changed the entire landscape of of what we did there so i'd have to say that one um better the movement yeah i think it's very well made i just it's way more of a horror movie and more like kind of monster change Case movie, then Invisible Man was a really great movie. It was layered. I liked it. I love that. It was layered. This isn't layer. Is this going to do well?
Starting point is 01:22:49 It might because I can't imagine. It's a Blumhouse thing, I think also. So it probably cost $37 and a Snickers bar to make. So it, and you could tell. It's just it's a guy in a, you know, costume, makeup, more or less, chasing around people in the woods. And how much did it cost to make? Seven dollars? So it's like, it could. If people want to want to see it. It could, but I don't know. Any favorites from out matches, Mike?
Starting point is 01:23:17 Got one? Oh, God, me? Yeah, outside of the ones that you played. God, okay. Yeah, not anything I played. It sucks because it was digital, but Chance and Parker. Chance of Parker. Oh, yeah?
Starting point is 01:23:33 Yeah, it was a good one. There was no chance and no one thought chance is going to win. Not. and if that would have been live or in the studio, it would have been insane. Roxy, got one? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:23:48 Obviously, I immediately go to odd couple. It's like, the coolest thing for me was probably Jericho, Kevin Smith. I mean, I'm not saying that was my favorite map, but for me, I was like,
Starting point is 01:24:02 this is the coolest thing ever. It was pretty awesome. Alan Smithy, there he is. I blame the Last Jedi and Ryan John. for the ultimate destruction of Star Wars. He's actually glad that he tanked it. That's when the drama began.
Starting point is 01:24:14 I think that he's actually, he did say some stuff that, you know, he was, I don't let it, he was definitely plug in at the, at the fans a little bit because his career hasn't heard it all from that movie. Because first of all, made over a billion dollars. There's a lot of people who love that movie, did very well critically. He doesn't care if it turned the fan base on its head because for him, he's still making knife without movies, making millions of dollars and those movies are good. He's a really good director.
Starting point is 01:24:38 I am not one of these people because the Last Jedi has a movie to me that has just gotten worse and worse every time I turn it on. But I'm never going to be one of these people is like, Ryan Johnson, I hate everything he does now. He's a phenomenal director. It's fantastic. Some of the best episodes of Breaking Bad.
Starting point is 01:24:56 He directed a looper and other movies that I love. Ryan Johnson's a great director. That movie just stinks. Why do you think you name your kid Ryan, you put an eye in it? Every time I see it, I think Ryan, Rain Johnson. Every single time my brain sees rain. Sometimes parents be making things more difficult for their kids
Starting point is 01:25:14 than necessary. He's an older dude too, so it's not like he's a generation. Like if some person was born today and they named their kid Ryan and spelled it like that, I'd be like, that tracks. But back when he was born in the 70s, why? Underwood's that. I'm with you, Chris. It's like, I'm with a why. He's amazing director. But every time I think that like,
Starting point is 01:25:31 well, that's hard. Yeah. It's good. Maybe it's like a family thing. Could be. I should ask him that when you interview him. QMD SMD support for Roxy off topic I saw a complete unknown I love that movie the cast was amazing I loved it yeah it was my number it was my number two of the year so good so good as an artist you watch it's so beautiful yeah hey my oh that sounds just like him oh my g-mike amagamagimagimmy oh i don't have it on this one anymore you upset you weren't cast hey man we might not like the digital platform Boom. He's mad and screams at the TV. Wang.
Starting point is 01:26:11 You see? Dog barking in the bag. To him. Shalame. Oh, that was great. No, stop. Just fucking stop. Did you not see it? No, I know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 01:26:24 Not the movie. I can't stand that shit. I love Adam Sandler so much. Yeah, there's nothing to do. No, absolutely not. Mike smells. All right. Next one. So,
Starting point is 01:26:37 We are, thank you everybody. You've got 60 so far, starting us. And now really the battle is going to become with Steph and the age. Keep rolling, rolling, rolling. Yeah, Alexander Wilson. Christian and Mike, you guys have to watch Sevaldum Group. It's the second best project that Lucasfilm has put out besides Andor. The writing is superb.
Starting point is 01:26:54 Also, it gets dark at the end with spoilers. There's some murder. Alexander, that's some heavy praise there, buddy. Heavy praise. A lot of people are saying that. I have not heard one person, Roxy. I have not heard one person that watches the show that says, it's okay everyone says they love it's good it's good show everyone i just it's just one of these things
Starting point is 01:27:11 where i just couldn't give a shit i feel like that you you don't want to watch this with your girls i've tried that's the only way so i've tried twice because my oldest said to me that she'd watch it and then i brought it up to the day so you want to watch that i'll give it a shot and she goes nah and she walked away and started watching wicked again um and then the little one i said amazing i got a space adventure with kids you want to watch it you just no all right don't forget it i'm not watching it and I started watching um I'm trying to finish Dune which I really like and I just and I get and as I watch Dune it makes me realize I don't want to want to watch anymore star Wars so I want Star Wars to be like that and it'll never happen Jim one had skeleton skeleton crew come out three
Starting point is 01:27:54 years ago I think viewership would have been higher I don't disagree with that fair that is a fair point I don't disagree with that that's what happens when you tarnish your brand yeah but trust in Star Wars was impacted by Acoa Asocolae, Bova Fed I if it came out of after season two of in the same way that look if guardians came out today Guardians of Galaxy came out today it doesn't do as well as when it came out in 2014 because they were it's like hit hit hit hit hit and I don't want to hear about all Thor Darkroll came out it made millions of dollars and people were still on board with it it wasn't there's tons of movies that came out and no one really
Starting point is 01:28:28 down on the brand they weren't they weren't bashing it they were no they're like I that's not as good as the other ones what's next that's what everyone was saying it's like guardians. So I agree that if it would have come out after Mandalorian season two, I think you're 100% right. Crystal, D.W. Fan. What's with all these allegations of people, Justin Baldoni, the X-Men writer, Neil Gaiman, what's wrong with people? Just heartbreaking. I mean, yeah, there's a lot more to come out to that Justin Baldoni story, though. Oh, that's what we're saying. Hold that on that one. Yeah, but I also feel like comparing the Justin Baldoni thing to the X-Men writer and what's coming out of Neil Gaiman,
Starting point is 01:29:04 And they're all just so different. So different. Right. But I think to her point, it's like, you know, it's because it's Hollywood and everything's out there. Yeah. Every job, you know, the corner Starbucks, they've got people that have problems and this and it's just because it's out there and it's tabloid and you want to hear about it and it's juicy. But every, the HR building and every office building is full of like problems like this. But because they're famous people, they're stars.
Starting point is 01:29:30 They're there. Yeah. It's it's the tabloids. It's what's fed the industry for decades. Yep. Do you so. Pete Parker, 2288. Christian, do they sell those hats somewhere?
Starting point is 01:29:41 I want one. I feel like the answer is yes. I was sent, during the, after Transformers 1 came out, they sent me this stuff. They sent me a really cool, uh,
Starting point is 01:29:49 sweatshirt and this hat, which I've been wearing a lot. You know, check my Instagram and I think Paramount sells it. Check my answer when I posted it, but I'm pretty sure they do. I love this hat. It's like one of my favorite hats, actually.
Starting point is 01:30:02 Um, okay. Crystal just put in a super sucker. Thank you. Oh, no, Crystal. Just trying to push you guys over. Yeah, Chris. Go, pal. Roxy, do you know anything about the new show on call?
Starting point is 01:30:12 It just popped up on Prime and I've seen no press. It's a cop show with Trojan Bolzario. I think Roxy is a little out of it. Roy, Ann. I have not seen anything about this. I just saw that you put this in. So I've put it into IMDB and it doesn't even ring any bells. I let me know.
Starting point is 01:30:32 if it's any good. I honestly, I know I wreck for you guys, but oftentimes you guys wreck for me and then I take those and I watch them. So if you guys have things that you think I should be watching, I realize Christian,
Starting point is 01:30:44 that next week I'm going to give you something fully loaded because I haven't seen. Right? Yeah, and Severance is coming up. There will be severance. Obviously, we've gotten so much more of silo, which has been unbelievable. Oh, right.
Starting point is 01:30:55 In Squid Game. I know I got to watch that. Like, I've got so many things to talk to you about. All right. Let's go, and this is the next one here, and this is Christopher Brickner. Well, Mangold's Dawn of the Jedi film be a hit. I think it would be a flop. I don't think there's much general audience interest in it, Don of the Jedi.
Starting point is 01:31:12 It is impossible for me to say, will it be a hit? And Christopher, it is impossible for you to say that it will be a flop because you don't know who's in it. You haven't seen a trailer. You don't have information on it before you can, like, that's impossible to say that whether it's going to be a hit or a flop right now. Impossible. Did Mingle do Acquita Unknown?
Starting point is 01:31:32 Yes. Okay. So he went from Indiana Jones this. Logan to the, yeah, and I'm telling you that just. He's a filmmaker that's all over the map, man. No,
Starting point is 01:31:42 he's not. Most of his stuff is great. It's like he got, like even that war. He's not like genre-wise. Oh, you mean genre-wise? No,
Starting point is 01:31:50 I'm saying. Probably. Some people like, some people like night and day. I'm with you on that. I hate that movie. But that's the only movie of his. I'm a top gun guy.
Starting point is 01:31:58 And I don't get that movie. That's the only movie that Mangold has that I, he loves, he just loves Tom Cruise. I know. Rossi, you don't know that, Roxie. No, Roxy was literally quoting it. The top gun guy? She literally was quoting it. I quote it.
Starting point is 01:32:15 And we both missed. We both missed. Oh, you're right. I thought you were with Steph going top gun guy. What? Crystal's asking, Roxy, you're still taking donations for fire victims? I am. So I'm going to go do another drop today.
Starting point is 01:32:26 My friend Jess and I have been taking donations. we've raised over $6,000 so far. And it's for the fire victims and for the firefighters. Today we're bringing them. They're sleeping on the ground right now and on the beach. So we're bringing these mats for them, pillows, blankets, and also water Celsius or certain things. If you look at my Instagram, you'll see my memo.
Starting point is 01:32:49 But it's at Roxy dash strier. And I like that I wrote that out. And every single dollar we're giving to the people that need it right now based on what they need you. Great. Joey, do you think we'll see Daisy Ridley as Ray at all before her new movie? What's her new movie? At all before her? I mean, she's got, if she's got a new movie coming out within the next year, you're going to see a movie that the, the, the, the, she boy, she, I'm, I'm, she's not, she, you're not going to see her as Ray until the, the earliest is 2027. That's the earliest you're going to see her as right.
Starting point is 01:33:28 Well, what could you even see her in before that? Potential. I mean, what else could she pop into? I mean, whatever movie comes out in the end of 2026. I guess they're not doing a 2026 movie. Only doing one in 26. She's going to take Grogan. Brogan's going to be the first student at her academy.
Starting point is 01:33:46 You think so? No. Did you believe that for a second? Possible. Because it could be possible because the way that they think. Yeah, that's the way that they think. Okay. I like that.
Starting point is 01:33:58 Thoughts on Elon Musk? He's rich. No, I think they mean him potentially buying TikTok. Oh, is that true, too? I'm guessing that's what you guys. There's two Elon Musk stories this week. Number one is that he's been helping with the firefighters right now and helping them to be able to communicate on the ground,
Starting point is 01:34:16 which is the first time in a long time. I can say thank you. Anybody who's helping with the firefighters here. Number two, that he is potentially buying TikTok. You guys know TikTok. To make it to make an American base so they don't have. have to take it off the down. Yeah. And we know that Donald Trump has a soft spot for TikTok. He loves TikTok. He thinks it's one of the reasons why he won the election. Donald Trump's
Starting point is 01:34:39 boy is Elon Musk. So I wouldn't be surprised if some kind of a deal gets negotiated here. If that's not what you're asking about and you just meant general thoughts on Elon Musk, I don't know what to tell you. But my thoughts are it's terrible if he buys TikTok. I think he's a great Twitter. Two of the major social media platform. We'll see it's either it's either he buys it or it goes away so let it go away Yeah fucking go away crystal dw fann I love robert patinson batman i hope he stays um i think he's gonna stay the question if he stays in the dc u or not is is the overall question ronetta what's up roneta hey all hey roxy what's up love you this jersey girl sending all the love to callie stay safe i love
Starting point is 01:35:22 santa e however i think jody or wanda wise are perfect choices yeah i don't think it's a matter of i think every person a lot of people who have who said cynthia rivo is not the one are fans of hers right i think she's a great yeah it's not the great actress right she's not right for the role yeah that's why if she'd be cast i think she'd do a great job but it's not who my dream casting would necessarily be by the way jersey girls are my favorite just the jersey girls they're they're the best in the world i love i just did a run out of run i just did a fist pump uh RQMD SMD, support for Roxy, amazing fire relief for Roxy and Jess, what they're doing, stay safe. Yeah, big props to that.
Starting point is 01:36:01 RQMD SMD is given a lot of support to the Fire Relief Fund, which has been awesome. Thank you so much. Yes, thank you so much for that of everybody. Joe for show, bad to hear Roxy's okay. She is indeed. Crystal, loving Sam's reaction. Sorry about the Guardian's reaction. Technology sucks sometimes.
Starting point is 01:36:18 The fact that it just was, we were recorded. I wish it just would have happened about a half an hour in. I mean, it literally happens right at the end of the movie. And, like, you see the reaction that we do. It's like after everything, all the big conflict is over. This is so stupid. But I had to do something. And I threw one person off the channel because it was just like,
Starting point is 01:36:36 why would you even post this for views? And I'm like, no, you idiot. The whole reason I'm posting it is to show people that, you know, we had this thing going. I don't want to give you nothing. I got to give you something to tell you because we're continuing a journey. So I just threw that person off the channel. I have no time for this.
Starting point is 01:36:52 All right. Next one is Joe for show. Could you see Mahershal Ali as Tachala and all this Hodge is blade? What do you think about Sunika Martin Green for Storm? I think Mahershal Ali as Tachala is too old at this point. So no. All this Hodge is blade, yes. But I also think all this hodge as Tata'allah would be amazing. But what do you guys think, Sonika Martin Green?
Starting point is 01:37:20 I don't know who that is. I'm looking them up. I feel like I know who she is. Oh, of course. She was in Star Trek Discovery, my dead friend Zoe. She was taught her in The Walking Dead. Okay. Right, right, right, right.
Starting point is 01:37:36 I mean, she's so great. And she's like kind of a beast. Like she just is like an action star kind of in Walking Dead we see. So that'd be cool casting. I don't remember how big she is, but I remember she has presence. And so I think she was great. Mike, got anything or not really? I'm a Duwanda-Wa guy.
Starting point is 01:37:56 Like, ever since that was kind of suggested and put out there, because I did not care for that last Jurassic World, but she's the only thing I liked it. Like, I really just, she brought something new to the film. And just remember, she just had a really good physicality to her. So, that's my good. Go, pal, do you play, and you guys play instruments? I'm an avid, though, crappy guitarist.
Starting point is 01:38:18 No, I wish that, you know, one of the things I wish I would have done is my brother always wanted to want me to try to do piano. He thought that I would be able to do it. It's one of my big regrets before he passed away that I would have loved to try to done some stuff with him on that. But piano is something I think that I would probably be able to do.
Starting point is 01:38:32 I took piano lessons as a kid, and I wish I stayed with it. Yeah. Was he really good, Christian? Oh, yeah. Yeah, he's... I think he's... Some things that you don't have recordings
Starting point is 01:38:42 on your phones of some things, maybe? I don't know if I ever talked about this on the air, but like, so he, I mean, he did it, he did an album when he was 16, but he he he would used to sit down in the he before the social media trend was a thing he used to sit down in the malls and start playing songs and crowds would go around him but the thing that so david b who i've talked about now twice today once on down earth and now today um during like it was coming on an anniversary of my brother's passing and i wanted to get like a gift out to my family and david b listened to his music and did a rendition of it and played this beautiful I listen to it every anniversary of him.
Starting point is 01:39:23 That's cool. Ronetta. My goddess. Aldous Hodge would be a perfect Black Panther. Yes, please. I think he would make Chadwick proud. We need that character back more than ever. I feel like that's going to happen.
Starting point is 01:39:38 I feel like Aldous Hodge is going to get cast. I think the internet really supported it. And then what are they going to do just if they're like he took the mantle or it's a reach? So there's been, go ahead. There's been two rumors that's been going around. I mean, he's dead. Right.
Starting point is 01:39:54 He would be a multiverse version of him from another universe brought it. Or I don't know what's the other one. The other one that's the son. And they jump forward. Multiverse. Yeah. And they age and they age of them up. Yeah, they multiverse him up.
Starting point is 01:40:09 Live action is the superior media. Could we get X-Men 97 live action so I can see it? That would be great. And I know what you're doing there. Artem, Shack Ramon, other than Andor Season 2, I have no interest in any Star Wars content. Mando and Grogu will probably be the first movie I don't see day one. Glad Roxy is okay. But Artem, do you think that might change if you start hearing like, oh my God, this is, this, they did it.
Starting point is 01:40:38 They figured out how to make Star Wars again. Holy shit, this is a great Star Wars movie. Could that get you in the theater or if it's another kind of ho-hum thing? Yeah, God, Mike. No, but to hear what you're saying, Harlep, there was all that hype around the flash. Like, oh my God, yeah, it did it. It's true. This is it.
Starting point is 01:40:56 And we see it. And I like the flash, but I'm listening, what movie were these people watching? Right. We hear that talk from the various camps, they figured Star Wars. I don't know, man, you've got to put the, what's the proof is in the pudding? You got to wait until it comes out. Yeah, you're not wrong. Renetta W.
Starting point is 01:41:11 Also, Goonies is in theaters this weekend. I love that 40-year anniversary. Oh, my God. Holy Christ. 40 years. Damn, I'm old. Still look good at 51, though. Hell yeah, Renato.
Starting point is 01:41:21 Black don't crack, baby. And yes, Christian, I actually did LOL after that statement. She did do a fistbone. See, I knew it. That's amazing. You're just the best. That's so great. So amazing.
Starting point is 01:41:31 You guys are getting some funds in for the fire relief. Oh, are you really? I love that. Good. That's great. Go, pal. Oh, but you caught the Arwin Tariel thing a couple minutes later. That wasn't a big deal.
Starting point is 01:41:44 It was about 15 minutes. Rock, you can't be faulted for that. I'm sorry. I know those movies inside and out because of the Shmodown. We had just seen Leg Along. Okay, here's a perfect example. This is not really the same thing because it's a, you know, a character. For me, I never saw the Harry Potter films before the Shmowdown.
Starting point is 01:42:03 Okay. I had to watch them. Yeah. And I got so invested in them. I remember texting all my people that love Harry Potter. And I was like, oh, my God, is Snape Harry's father. Okay. Because the way they set it up and he's so in love with them, you're like, oh.
Starting point is 01:42:17 I'm I and everyone's like we see how you knew that but no it's not at all right it's like yeah Pete Parker that's just a wrong prediction right I know I know rocks but you were you're doesn't matter I appreciate you having my back on this one I got your back I got your I got you back I don't think I don't think is that big of a thing Pete Parker hey Christian do you know Mark Norman he's hilarious I don't know him personally um I know who he is though yeah for sure I mean he was he was a little after my time when he when he started to comedian yeah um he does he does a podcast with uh sam morel oh then i know you probably yeah um okay so here is the next one chris the green ear listen as working listening listening as i'm working to
Starting point is 01:43:02 the beginning of the show and how you describe the difference by a few miles in l.a is what we go through during lake of snow bands here in northeast it's an odd experience for sure yeah it's true it's like at one point you're like oh right right here we're good but right over there not so good. It's crazy how that works. Yeah. Oh, that lake effect up north. Yeah. My family lives in that upstate New York, but that lake effect is crazy. Roxy, I know the question that's going to follow here with this one. Let's start with this. Pete Parker 228. Hey, Mike, is your Twitter back? I think I'm like six hours away from it because it gives me a countdown every day now. I have to click and accept it.
Starting point is 01:43:42 We would. I was suspended from Twitter. week ago because I told a mega talking head to go jump off of a fucking bridge. Okay. Yeah. So, but those same people, they say the same thing all day long,
Starting point is 01:43:57 but because they're on the one side of the algorithm, they don't get punished, but I got punished for a week. I didn't know you were still on Twitter. I feel like it's not a good place for you. No, I tell them that all the time. Roxy,
Starting point is 01:44:07 here's the thing. I'm going to tell you this. Here we go. To me, Twitter is the best way for engagement with fans. What? It's the fans.
Starting point is 01:44:17 I say fans in a weird way with me, but I mean like people of my bond book. No, it is. Or people wanting to know where my next writing book is or my next acting gig. Where is an Instagram. Instagram is like, look at me, look at me, doing this, doing this. Whereas Twitter is I'm like, yeah, check me out here. Oh, you liked my book. Did you read this chapter?
Starting point is 01:44:33 Mike, I love this character. But can I ask you, how about it? But is that what you do there? It's what I want to do. It's what I want to do. I would love, if I have a day where I talk James, bond with people. Like, and they're like, oh my God, I found
Starting point is 01:44:50 a book and they'll send me pictures of them on like a beach reading it and like my favorite character is this in the Bond movies and I didn't know this. Right. Are you writing another one? Like, Mike D.C. What, like the day the Superman trailer dropped, my feet is littered and I'll get dozens of followers on those days. But then
Starting point is 01:45:07 I'll see like these, thank, I'll say thank God I'm not on it right now because these assholes with the fire, the other side that are making it a political thing. I want to ring reach through that fucking screen, choke them and film it, and tell people. And you would say that, and you get banned again. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 01:45:26 Dino Spamone. Hey, Roxy, Roxy made me remember why I fell in love with Lord of the Rings as a kid. And sadly, also, why I've fallen out of love with that fan base. I love you, homie, hang in there. Thank you, DeN. I've never experienced a fan base like that ever. And we dealt with a Snyderhead.
Starting point is 01:45:42 So, like, this was insane. I mean, they're worse than the. I was being from all angles. Like, I could do nothing right. It was so, and I loved the movies. Right. That's a bummer. Yeah, that's such a bummer.
Starting point is 01:46:00 Big Buster. Wow, Christian, that's theater story is wild. That is wild. Yeah. Mike Wesley. I usually go by Mike, and I said it right that time. Mike Wesley. Is that an interesting for your name, Mike?
Starting point is 01:46:14 Yeah. In the way that you're just about Ryan. Ryan with an eye. Wow. Yeah. Crystal, yes, we beat Roca. Hashty. Now the question is, can they hold it? Because Winston and Coy have been just straight up nasty on Fridays. What is it? Okay, I got to ask, is it because Friday in the week, like, if you put Coy and Winston on like a Monday, would they always do as well or no? I don't know. It might be because of the topics. It could be because it's Friday. But it could be. I'm curious. I think that Friday and also, and it, and, and, and, Friday also, there was another, when Roka's in the lead, the people who are, for some reason,
Starting point is 01:46:51 people love to get Roka in the lead and then they love to get them out of the lead. Because Roka and Merle were at 110 and in Winston and Coy did like 130 on Friday. So yeah, Carver Tate. Yes, that's definitely what happened to Steph. I'm a diehard Battlestar fan and I still forget the miniseries is separate whenever I do a rewatch. Yeah, I'm going to, I'm going to bring that. Can, if I forget tomorrow, can you guys, can the audience remind me tomorrow to bring that up to herpes? I don't get what you mean.
Starting point is 01:47:15 So they did a mini series. series. Yeah, yeah. So basically in order to get the series greenlit, they did this mini series and they put it on there and that was the one that got everybody's attention. And that's the one that started the show them leaving Earth. You don't have to watch that one. Yes. Yes, and showed them she did. I don't think
Starting point is 01:47:30 Steph watched that. You have to watch. You have to watch the mini series first. And I think she missed it first. I think she missed it. It looks like she absolutely, because she didn't know what I was talking about. It's the one where Bellazar, as in Baltar, right? Yeah. Is both the Silon on Earth. And they're like, you did what? She's just like sit it and take it now, pal.
Starting point is 01:47:49 Okay, yeah, you need to see that. Yeah, go pal. Ryan, Brick back when, I remember loving that one. Brick was awesome too. Another one, yeah. All right, let's see. We got eight minutes to finish these up. So Cooley, hi.
Starting point is 01:48:00 Hey, everyone, glad to see you doing well. Where's Brett? I hope he's doing well. Also, super excited to see Superman, my most anticipated film. I don't know where I've been texting with Brett. I don't know where he is on the show. See, Coley's one of the reasons I love Twitter.
Starting point is 01:48:12 Coolie's great. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's always every day on Twitter. That's why I stay on Twitter, because I want people to be like coolly. Right. Well, you know, nobody's going to be like cool. Nobody's going to be like cool.
Starting point is 01:48:21 Bullshit. He's the best. He'll send me, he's sent me Instagram messages, and it's like the highlight of my day. When he's like just checking me. He's the best. That's his thing, man. Stay easy.
Starting point is 01:48:29 Be easy. Whatever. Well, hey, come on. You can quote the guy. I'm using my quote. I'm the white version of it. No. Be easy.
Starting point is 01:48:36 He stay easy on me. Stay easy. Unheard Sirens Incorporated. Skeleton and crew definitely feels like the type of show Star Wars would have made in 1984 after Return of the Jedi. I'm sad it's not doing better hope Lucasholm learns the right lessons from this no they're probably blame it on on John Watts that's what he'll do when it's not John wants but it's probably the reason that it's a good quality show but they'll blame it on him Stephanie Litts oh step I finally saw squid game season one wow brutal and deep story I haven't watched a single episode
Starting point is 01:49:05 you still didn't do the first season no I know I didn't watch you either he's in two I can't wait next week I'll talk to you guys about it I'm gonna that it was phenomenal. I've been trying to get reactions done for them, Rocks you myself. So, rocks, I know it's fiction, but did they do a squid game
Starting point is 01:49:23 trying to capitalize that where they made it a reality show? Yeah, but people said it's pretty good. The reality show. I still think it's so weird. I can't believe you watch Squid Game and then thought we should make a reality show. Right.
Starting point is 01:49:33 Carver Tate. If Steph is really getting into Battlestart, please tell her there's a cool spinoff episodes like Blood and Chrome, many people don't worry about. I will. I will absolutely let them know. Um, okay. We got more down coming down here.
Starting point is 01:49:47 Hold on a second as we have just a few minutes left with Roxy. So Christian Shenlet, thank you. What do you think about Dacre Montgomery as Wolverine? As Wolverine, I think better as Cyclops. I don't see him as Wolverine. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:50:01 I think, yeah, Wolverine's got to be older. Why can't I picture who that is? He's some stranger things, Power Rangers. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I know exactly.
Starting point is 01:50:09 Billy from some stranger things. he actually you know you know great but that's not the first you know not after wolverine you know he look you know what i think he looks like and do you remember do you remember mike citizen from uh tom's friend that we have yeah they they look exactly this year yeah they look exactly like those two uh brooklyn you not and this is why men don't understand life they do i'm just kidding about that second part oh brooklyn Pilates saved my life all right well that's amazing and i hear that from so many people I that's awesome how yeah way to go
Starting point is 01:50:43 Pete Parker 2288 Dagnino played Kaiser in 80s trivia was great I think I do remember that I think I do and I could absolutely see that being great NLF NLS FC96 think Acklite numbers were inflated so people can hate watch what was next
Starting point is 01:50:58 Skeleton crew that's you may not be wrong there Skeleton crew is just fine and people are not flocking to controversy as they were for Accolite I don't disagree with that statement I don't agree also and I hope this is true that the usual suspects are not going after skeleton crew because they're kids maybe so not doing the you know what i'm talking about yeah i know what you mean yeah yeah and the screen grabs of their faces crying and all that BS but it's all yeah but it also it's because
Starting point is 01:51:26 their kids and they're like at least human beings you know that that's a step too far maybe rob m lisanti love you guys keep up the great content thank you ron thank you a positive love in here i love it. Alexander Wilson. Christian, I think skeleton crew is better than doing prophecy. Stop this. To me, prophecy was dull and un-dentful. Then you didn't see the episode I saw. Holy crap. I said you're not even watching Doom Prophecy. You can't finish it.
Starting point is 01:51:51 No, I'm just, I'm getting through it. Dude, that has nothing new except it's a me thing. I'm just trying to get through stuff in my house. You haven't seen skeleton crew, though, Chris. Making excuses. I'm the only one who's seen both of these. There's an episode, Roxy. You'd be watching it. Yeah, Mike, wait, say that again, me?
Starting point is 01:52:08 No. So there was the episode that I saw was in the woods. It was, do you know what it was like episode three, Roxy? I thought that episode was amazing. Holy shit. Holy shit. Of course you know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 01:52:22 That's my favorite of them. Oh my God. Crazy episode. So, but I can't compare it to Skeleton Crews because I haven't seen it. It's just such a bummer. I could never imagine in a million years where it's like, not like every week just tuning into the Star Wars show.
Starting point is 01:52:35 I couldn't give a shit about tuning into that show. Shelby wide. Roxy, thank you for recommending Silo and you rock. You've been doing so much this week for others. Thank you, Shelby.
Starting point is 01:52:45 Silo is the best show that's currently on television. I told you it was the first show I watched last night. I'm back to TV and I was like, I get one show. What am I to watch? And I caught up on Silo.
Starting point is 01:52:56 Man, it is so, so good. All right, I'm going to watch that one. Severance is about to come. It's about to wipe the floor and everything. I'm going to check it. Oh, this one, John Roka. This is the Poutlaw. No, no, the Poutlaw.
Starting point is 01:53:07 I will always be the super chat champ. Roxy's just running a muck. It's a disgrace. Best believe this, people. My mouth, your ass is. Let's eat. Like, what I like about the mock account that the Pout law does is that it's not like, it doesn't get into like just full on insults.
Starting point is 01:53:26 It's like he's like talking. It's like a mock broca account. It's hilarious. PLD. Obligatory. I can't say it. Obligatory. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:53:34 Obligatory. Obligatory. I'm obligatory. A blogatory. A bloggatory. I am working on not less than. Obligatory. Roca isn't here so I can donate post.
Starting point is 01:53:48 Roxy's Lord of the Rings reactions were phenomenal. I don't understand why the fans were like that. Yeah, PLD sent me a few messages about that, which I appreciated. It was, it was bizarre. It was really bizarre to experience loving something. Because I feel like the Snyder people, really were upset with us when we didn't think that everything was perfect when we weren't raving about stuff that's when they were upset to be just shredded for loving something was so
Starting point is 01:54:18 why why rocks why are they shredding you i haven't gotten down to they think that they were like she missed so much it was my first time watching god all right also the edits and i i experience this too on the mc u the edits they don't realize that the editors are so good at focusing in on a moment that you're doing that it's like happened there. What is that? There's something that's popped on my screen. But the editors are so good that you think that you're stepping over a moment, but you're not. You're taking everything in. They're like, you didn't even react to this moment that everybody
Starting point is 01:54:53 says is the biggest moment. I'm like, I did. I was watching. PLD, Mike, is a more casual bond fan. Your book was a great read. That's awesome. Yeah, but he liked the Brad Gilmore part's better. Mike Joyce, Roxy, did you see the special? special feature on Apple plus of solo slash Steve Zon giving a tour of his living area MTV crib style no it's amazing I love Steve's on in oh wait no no no so no no yeah um yeah yeah yeah so what were you just gonna ask silo I asked her I thought he said yeah yeah PLD project skeleton crew over Dune prophecy and I love Dune what a surprise a PLD pick
Starting point is 01:55:36 crew over doing prophecy he'd pick skeleton crew over citizen cane come on come on PLD that's a tough ball yeah uh Stephanie Litts are you still doing monthly fan chats on patreon oh you mean like the one-on-ones that I do so no um but what I am doing um I like I guess maybe the answer is yes till when it comes to live streamed I'm actually doing a live stream today at 3 30 and it is both for members and for patrons and if at a certain tier you can come in, you can join me part of it. And then there is the, and then you can, if not, you can just be part of the chat. Any member, any patron can be part of the chat on the exclusive live streams. Mark, Christian Shenlet, Mike, have you ever worked at the Universal in Orlando?
Starting point is 01:56:26 I have. Yeah, that was my first start in theme parks. I started 2011. I worked it for 10 years. I've done a lot of, a lot of stuff there. many shows and characters and roles I played there. Awesome. This isn't on the universal there, but have you guys talked about the tipping for Disney?
Starting point is 01:56:45 Have you guys not seen this in Orlando? No. Somebody sent this to me that now the rides are going to be asking you to tip at Disney and Orlando. What? Wow. I haven't looked at. I haven't looked into this.
Starting point is 01:57:00 Tip with the $175 ticket you buy to get into the freaking. On top of your fast pass that you bought. Yeah, no. Are you fucking kidding? I have to look into it more, but that was sent to me, and I was like, and it was in the middle of all this, and I was like, what the fuck? But that would be crazy.
Starting point is 01:57:14 No, no one. This is the last one. Carver, I'll do my best to remind you tomorrow. Thank you. I'm at the Battle Store once. So, okay, look, guys. So it's a good, oh, where's that? Where's the dude that hands of the membership today?
Starting point is 01:57:27 I'm just here, so I don't get fined. Perfect. Well, look at that. And then Nerskiskech just gifted five memberships. Perfect. Well, there you go. Just like that. So you guys ended here at 81.
Starting point is 01:57:41 Not bad. Steph's got a battle at 81. I don't know if Brett's going to be on tomorrow. We'll see, or Thursday, I should say. I'm going to be probably by my lonesome tomorrow. But that's it. Roxy, give that plug one more time. Where can they donate and help you out and stuff?
Starting point is 01:57:55 If you want to just directly click on it, go to my Instagram. But if you want to go to Venmo, it's at Roxy dash strier. Mike? Where can they find you while you're suspended on Twitter? I'll be back in six hours, motherfuckers. Okay, good. Nice language on Star Wars show. That's what I want to be doing on Twitter.
Starting point is 01:58:15 Yeah, exactly. A bullshit. Thanks for joining us here today, guys, on the show. It is both Roxy, myself, Mike. I'm glad that you guys joined us. Thanks for being here.
