Hey, everybody, welcome back to the big thing.
What If?
It's not what if, you know, Brett Sheridan kept his hair like as a flirt and flouse.
It's what if the Marvel series, the MCU series.
I got to see episodes one through three.
So I'm going to give you my review.
Don't worry, no spoilers.
I know nobody has seen it just yet, but I had a chance to see the first three episodes.
I also saw the first episode of Stars' new show, Heels, which I'm going to talk about also.
and I have a pretty big announcement regarding that.
At least fingers crossed, I think so anyway.
But Brett Sheridan is here to join me,
and I'm glad that you guys are able to join me here today.
It's the big thing, and we're going to have some fun.
So buckle up, Buttercup.
Here it comes.
Peace.
It's the big thing.
Why are you tuning into the show?
It doesn't make sense.
What's going on?
Oh, you're not wearing masks today.
No.
Not.
Leave me to fuck alone.
Everybody with comments, masks.
Shut up your ass.
I'm so tired of it.
What's up, Brett?
How are you doing?
Good, good.
What were the comment that you've not wearing masks in the studio?
No, no, no, I wore, I wore masks.
I was wearing masks in the studio because, you know, the kids,
the kids hadn't been,
breakthrough cases are happening and everything too.
And everybody's vaccinated.
It's coming in here with people like,
oh, yeah, everybody's vaccinated,
California, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And it's like, if I want to wear the fucking Chuckie mask all,
that.
What does it bother?
What do you care?
It's like it's people, because it's not about whether or not I was wearing it.
It's because they had a fucking political statement that they wanted to make.
And they were like, yeah, well, I was, this is the new show I watch and what I'm seeing.
It's just like, it's like so fucking stupid how this.
It's a draconian pandemic.
I heard someone say, I'm like, define draconian.
I got some guy, dude, some guys is like, well, you're not going to make it politicize,
which you talk about the fact that Obama.
Obama didn't wear a mask at his birthday party.
And I'm like, I don't even know Obama.
Did he not?
How many people were there?
You know, there's a lot of people?
No, maybe they should have been wearing a mess.
I know.
Fuck him, too.
You know who doesn't really complain about it?
My fucking kids.
And they're the ones.
Let our kids breathe.
They don't fucking care.
They want to go to school.
They don't want to get sick.
So stupid, all this.
What if this pandemic never happened, Brett?
Oh.
See what I did there?
What if?
The Marvel series, What If?
Got sent the screeners.
I'm not going to give spoilers to anybody.
But this is a series I was actually really looking forward to.
The animation on this thing is, oh, it's incredible.
It looks rad.
It's really, it's, I mean, I'm, I'm not someone who always, like, just hones in on how great the animation.
It's obviously I will notice it, but this was, this is great.
It's like a comic book comes a life the way that.
that they do this.
And the series for those people who don't know,
it's the events of the MCU,
and what I actually think that the way that they released this
and how they released this,
it actually, and I think it was supposed to come out a while ago,
but actually may have played in better that it released now.
Because Loki and the Avengers Endgame
have set up like the parallel universes and all that.
This is the Watcher,
who is this being that just is paying attention
to all these alternate universes,
and everything in his voice by Jeffrey Wright,
and he sounds like Morpheus up top.
It's funny.
He's just like, he tells you all the different possibilities.
What if one particular choice was made
and how that would just spawn off into a bunch of alternate realities,
and that's what this show is.
It's just to show you if certain choices were made.
Now, the three that I watched, the first one,
was if Steve Rogers, right before he's about to get into the machine in Captain America,
he's in the thing, he's ready to go.
And Peggy Carter, I think,
think is in the movie she goes and watches it up in a booth but she chooses to stay on the floor
in this one and because it the guy who causes the the the whole he tries to kill that he kills
the doctor yeah yeah well he winds up uh Steve Rogers doesn't get into doesn't go into the
machine she winds up instead of Steve Rogers chasing the guy down the street and getting them
Peggy Carter is able to take care of it pretty quick but she's the one that goes into
machine and she becomes the super soldier and she becomes the the captain america and this this one out of
the three i love haley outwood by the way and i think she and hearing her voice and all that and watch
this one was was fun it was the only one that i felt it essentially is just making because there's a lot of
the same events that happen except it happens to her and there's a big thing that happens with
steve rogers that connects in a different way like well that's interesting that they did that and
again i don't want to give too much uh away because i don't want to spoil
it but there's a like oh well then if that happens there then what's going to happen down the line
but this is really just replacing her
replacing him and putting her in the Captain America role is essentially what it is
kind of the same storyline just different person yeah but it's i mean but the difference is the
fact that you know she is um that in 1940 whatever it was they because bradley
whitford who plays just such a good jerk right he plays the jerky uh like colonel or whatever he is
and he's just disregarding her because she's a woman
that she's not going to do it.
And of course, you've seen what Haley-Aat would is able to do
and what Peggy Carter has done throughout the series.
She's a badass.
And she was a badass without the super serum.
So just imagine what she was, Agent Carter was able to do with the super serum.
And then he put her in those positions and things happen there.
And I think that it was really, it was really interesting.
So that one was good.
But like I said, it was a lot of the same stuff.
I was like, okay, this is just basically what if all those things
it didn't happen to Steve happen to her.
Yeah, right?
The second one, now this one I don't know if it's necessarily,
because the first one I think is a,
not a spoiler because people have seen that trailer.
I don't know if this is a spoiler of this storyline,
but so I'm going to tell you what the storyline is
because I can't not spoiler what it is.
It's without, you know, again, I don't know if it is.
So you can just, I'm basically just telling you
what the plot of the second one is,
the overall, no spoilers about the actual show,
what happens inside of it, but what it's about.
So whether you want to hear anything at all,
either should tune in or you should tune out
or just take a listen.
Get lost.
Just get lost.
Star Lord, Guardians of the Galaxy, shows up,
and it's that whole thing,
when Jammin Hansu shows up and goes,
who are you?
And he goes, I'm Star Lord, never heard of me,
and he goes, who?
Well, in this version, he knows him.
He goes, you're the, he's like,
You are the famous, but it's not Chris Pratt.
It's De Chala.
Yeah.
It's Chavik Bowman.
That's in the trailer.
Yeah.
Okay.
So it's Chattarick Bozeman.
And I think that I saw a trailer for all this stuff so long ago.
Like D-23, I haven't watched anything else because I wanted to watch the series.
So there you go.
So people know it anyway.
That's great.
It's not a lot of the story.
It's a lot of just those.
Oh, oh, oh, yeah.
They show you the glimpses of what the differences are.
There are.
And as I hear myself say the same thing about.
replacing the storyline with Captain America.
It is essentially the same thing for Chadwick Boseman and Natchala in this, but there
are so many different, like, right and left turns of who's on his side, people you
wouldn't expect, things that, you know, he's not this, what I like, he's not like this
goofy character.
They don't try to make him like a goofball like Pratt because that's not who he was.
He's, like, highly respected.
He's got this great relationship with Yandu.
the reason why Yandu took Kim instead of Star Lord is interesting.
So this is actually one of my favorite ones.
Actually, no, the third one was, but this is really good.
They get significantly better as they go along,
but this one was really good,
and it's hard not to be, you know, sad.
Oh, yeah.
And the fact that it's dedicated to Tavik Boseman,
the whole thing, the way that it plays out,
I think that they tied this on how Chachala actually could be Star Lord.
It's not so far-fetched.
And there's other little cameo.
was inside of this one and who the big bad is throughout it and the way that they set it up it was
it was done really really well i thought it was a i thought it was a lot of fun i'm trying to think
the third one i remember the third one being my favorite one and i can't remember what the hell it was
what was the third one the third one was oh the third one i know the third one was the the
the avengers initiative that someone is is picking off the avengers because there's that whole
conversation that
Nick Fury has
in it with Tony Stark. He's like there was
an idea and he's put together the team.
And so the entire team is,
we know who the team is and the Avengers, but they start
getting picked off like one by
one and it's like who is taken, who's
killing them all? And it's like, oh my God,
what if that happened, that happened? Holy crap.
And when they tell you exactly why
and why it's happening, you're like,
oh, okay, well that's, that's, that all
make sense.
Okay.
The alternate universe is they're not so,
and even like,
the first one was not far-fetched.
It's like,
yeah,
she could see why she'd be,
she's such a badass
and what would happen if she was,
uh,
as Captain America.
So all of them actually really make sense.
It's a really fun series,
but the thing that stood out the most was the animation.
Like the animation.
Oh,
it looks great.
It's incredible.
I don't know.
I,
like,
it reminds me something,
but I can't think of what it does.
Like,
but it,
it pops off.
Yeah.
It's like it pops off like a really well-drawn.
graphic novel just popped alive and it's it's beautiful to look at the music's really good they got a
lot of the voices back some of the voices um are are are not the same but a lot of the voices are geoffrey right
is the watcher is a good guide throughout it it it was a series that i was curious about to see and you know
it was curious how many i was going to want to watch and i wanted to watch in three and one night and i
wanted to watch more because it was um yeah i was just entertained and like the the idea of
of, okay, well, what's next, what's next, what can they do, how can it play out?
I want to see Star Wars like this, I want to see these other shows like this, but...
Would you say then, from what I'm gathering, though, you kind of wanted the events to change a bit more
and not be so much on the same line as the person?
Not necessarily.
I mean, I think when I saw the first one with Agent Carter, I was like, okay, are they just going to basically just replaced?
Because the first...
That would be boring to me.
I mean, like...
It was.
The first one, the first one, the first one,
to me did seem like it was a lot of the events that happened in the, in the movie,
except it's, it's her and how she dealt with it as opposed to him.
Yeah.
Right.
With the, and even, like, the ending being same but different, you know, like a lot of
the moments being the same but different.
There's the Tchalla one is different.
I mean, there's, there's some similarities throughout what happens to Peter Quill in, in
Guardians, but there's so many different relationships and things that are happening.
I felt that one was, the third one is completely different.
Yeah, that sounds.
Yeah, because the third one, it's like, none of the stuff that you knew from the MCU would even happen if any of this went down.
Like from the way it starts all the way to the end, it's like it's crazy.
So I'd like to see more stuff.
That's why I think it was my favorite.
Yeah.
It was the first one was pretty much the first movie, but with Agent Carter.
The second one was Guardians of the Galaxy with Chalala, but with a lot of change.
And the third one was just completely different, nothing to really go off of except, you know, yeah, these certain things happen in this timeline.
But it's fascinating to watch.
It would be really interesting.
There's just no way to do it, obviously.
If you were able to do all this in live action, then that would be really great.
But the animation makes it a lot of fun.
Yeah, I wonder if they wanted to ease you into the concept, if that was intentional, you know, like you can't just go crazy off the bat.
Right.
And then, you know, like people might, ah, check out of this.
This isn't my.
Yeah.
It's probably like a more simple way to do it.
Like, okay, well, here's just if, imagine if it wasn't Steve Rogers
that was doing all this stuff in this timeline,
but it was Peggy Carter.
And that's like, well, that's fun.
And then it's like, okay, imagine if it was,
it wasn't Star Lord, but it was Chala,
but there's a reason why and the difference was this.
Because what I will say about the first one,
the difference with Steve Rogers,
is Steve Rogers was a skinny little, like,
white kid from Brooklyn that wasn't allowed to do all this.
It was his heart that was so.
pure and the reason why he was such a great Captain America
and it was his physical attributes
that didn't allow him to do it.
Once they saw what he was able to do and he had
he jumped on the grenade, they're all right, let's give this guy a shot.
She's fighting against something else completely
because she's a woman and
it's like, yeah, you're supposed to be
behind the desk. So that's
certainly there and we've seen
what Agent Carter can do
and for people who are like, oh, they're just doing
woke stuff. It's like, no, this is Agent
Carter. She had her own television show.
You know what she's done. You know how much
of a badass she is imagine that character that you have followed throughout these different
episodes and time.
She's the one that took to serum because that was the other thing is that a lot of people
didn't take to the serum.
And they're like, well, she could.
She had that pure heart.
She was able to do that stuff.
So it was interesting.
It was just the change up on the switch from what, the same way like Chala, what he did
in, because, yeah, his story of why he would be there in the first place.
Because when you look at it and you're like, well, they just made him, they just made it Black Panther?
Like, why?
And then when they explain why, you're like, okay, that makes sense.
That's, that's fun.
Because seeing the trailers, I'm like, how are they going to pull this?
Like, what is, how does this work?
Yeah, it makes sense.
It's fun.
It's fun the way that they do it.
And I think that they, you can tell it they're having a lot of fun doing this show.
And I think that's, that's why I had fun.
It was like, it just, it was, here's these things that I know.
And if you, I mean, if you know the MCU well enough, you're going to, like, Coy-Jand is going to lose his
mind over this show. He's going to love this show.
So, and I think that for people who just casually watch it could be like, oh, is that what
happened in that thing? And I think it might have people go back and watch the other movies,
like that it's based off of. So it's fun. I enjoyed it. That was the first thing that I watched.
It's amazing. We just had this whole conversation with Brett and, Brett, with Ben and Steph, how I haven't
been watching anything. But I just watched those three. And I just watched the first episode of
Heels on Stars. I was waiting for a...
film that was rolled.
No, no, no.
How dare you?
Sorry.
I know this is, I know I didn't stick to this script.
This is legit because I have an announcement that very well, I'm making this announcement
now and the way that the business works, it could be a lie by the time this episode
airs.
What's funny is the time this episode airs, I should be doing an interview with Phil Brooks,
aka CM Punk, about this show.
Oh, nice.
And he and I had a great.
conversation during the Collider Live days.
They had sent out the screener.
I saw that there were some interviews available, saw that Phil was available.
And I said, hey, I had a great talk with Phil last time.
I'd love to talk to some about this show.
We'd love to see it.
And they were like, yeah, let's set it up.
So we're doing a Zoom meeting.
So the big thing episode on Friday will be me and Phil Brooks, aka CM Punk, talking about
heels and other things.
And so please check that out.
And if you haven't subscribed to the new channel, please do that.
You should check the new channel, subscribe to the podcast.
feed, all of that. But I watched Heels, and I don't know how many, I honestly don't even know if I'm a lot to talk about the first one, but I, but I'm going to. It comes out on Sunday.
People should, you know, hopefully they sent it out. They sent out a bunch episodes, but I watched the first one and a half.
And I'm going to, and I did watch Bonnie scene. That was season three. I just wanted to see that. I'm going to go back and watch the full episode.
I love the show. And I'm not just, I was crossing my fingers, hopefully, because it's, it's, it's so.
It is such a great representation.
You can tell Stephen Amel is a massive wrestling fan.
All the terminology's in there.
Like stuff that you probably didn't hear until Schmodeon with K Fabe and all that stuff.
It's all there.
And it's about this guy, Stephen Amel's character who, his dad ran.
He's the one from Vikings, right?
No, Green Arrow.
Oh, okay.
Well, who's the one with the long hair?
Isn't that his brother?
I don't know.
But I know I recognize one of the guys.
Stephen Amel.
He was Ragnar Lath.
Lothbrook, the mean character's son who takes over.
Okay, I don't know.
I don't know the show well enough, but it's how I was going to pitch it Delani.
Oh, all right.
Maybe.
Like, it's, it's a drama, though.
Yeah.
It's not like, it looks for it.
It's a good show.
And the kid from Hunger Games plays his brother, right?
And so there's like this little independent wrestling organization.
His dad ran it.
Like, it's a small town for being Nebraska.
You probably, you know, and then when you were in, when you were at home in
Nebraska, like, would they, on Sundays, would they just like drive out
to go watch the football games and all.
Oh, yeah.
Right.
So this is what they do for this wrestling thing.
It's like little small town.
They have these wrestling events, and it was like the biggest thing.
And it's kind of on the down slope.
But Stephen Amel runs the organization, and he's the guy who writes the scripts.
He's the one that puts people over and has he's the champion when it starts off.
And his brother, he's kind of like, you know, he's a younger brother, but he's, he definitely has like an attitude problem.
And he winds up going to a store and he just no reason steal.
like a pack of gum and he's just kind of a douche to the woman at the counter and and and but he's
he's the baby face of the of the company like the main star and there's like this big title match for
episode one that's that's happening and they're trying to set it up and the way that the old school
wrestling mentality of play if you're a heel and you're going to be he won't be seen he won't be seen
with the crowd because he doesn't want kids and people to see him as like a nice guy family guy's
married he's got kids but he's he's got kids but he's he's he's going to be seen he's
But it's a great scene.
He's driving in the truck and he looks over and he sees these two kids and they see him.
And they see him, they freak out because it's his character and they run off.
And he smiles.
And it's a great moment.
And it's, and there's just, I can't remember the guy, the actor's name who's in it, but he was in true blood.
And he was like the cop and he was like the main cop in true blood.
And you've seen him for sure.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
You know who he is.
You've seen him.
And he plays like, he was like around for a while, a wrestler that went off.
and went into the big show.
And they don't shy back.
And I was worried that they were going to do this, and they don't.
Like, not acknowledging that, like, WWE is a thing in WCW.
It's just, like, made up.
They mention that they not only mention Vincent McMahon.
They have a great conversation about old school WCW and, like, sting and flair going
out about it.
It's like, you can tell this is written and produced Stephen Demel from a true diehard
wrestling fan.
Yeah.
Like, this is a guy who.
understands the business, probably passion project,
wanted to do this for a very long time.
It's a great, it's a really good series.
So far, I mean, I'm, and the, I did,
and the reason why I not only fast forwarded,
not fast forwarded, but jump to episode three to watch that scene,
not only because I want to talk to CM Punk about his scene and his character,
but Bonnie plays his wife and his valet,
and I watched her scene.
So it comes out this Sunday.
It's not even just for wrestling, for wrestling fans,
You absolutely should watch this show.
But for people who are just looking for a new drama,
I'm going to try to get my wife to watch it.
I'm going to see if she digs it.
The wrestling part of it, I mean, she watched,
she watched Gloe.
She watched season one of Glow.
So, and this is, Glo was a little funnier.
Yeah, this seems a little heavier than glow.
Yeah, it's not like, it's not heavy in the fact of, like, you know,
too much.
It's not like Sopranos Dark.
Yeah.
You know, and Subrados was even funny sometimes, but this is like, this is, it's just, it's, it's a family drama.
And it's like this guy really believing in his business and his wife believes, it believes in him.
But he's always got to, he's, he's like buying fog machines on the side and sneaking like go pros.
And she's, and the wife's like, I have access to our account.
I see everything that you're buying.
And he's like, ah, we need it for the business.
We need it.
And I'm like, and I relate to it.
I relate to it.
You got to get, it's like this stuff that you need.
I need an Oculus.
You need new.
Yeah.
I need an Oculus.
Right, that's absolutely right.
I need cameras.
I need this.
I need that.
He put stuff on the internet.
It was, it absolutely a lot of reference, a lot of parallels for me, for the Shmodown, obviously, inside of this series.
But I dig it, man.
I like this.
I like where it goes.
I'm excited to watch episode two.
Sometimes when you get screeners, you're like, oh, you're kind of just like, all right, I'm going to watch this for an interview.
I would have watched this whether or not I was interviewing this guy or not, you know?
And so this is a fun show.
Even without Bonnie, I knew this show was right up your alley.
I mean, when I heard about it, and then I'm like, yeah, I mean, yeah, one thing, yes, of course, Bonnie's in it.
But, like, and I love the fact that you mentioned that they're not pretending like the big ones don't exist.
Like, because there are these little, you know, I went to one downtown one time like this, it's, you know.
Yeah, there's little, yes.
They're so fun.
And they're so, you know, and you've got to think, oh, God, they're really, I mean, these guys want to be part of that.
And they're really putting together something on a low budget.
and really trying to entertain people.
I hope that Stephen and Mel, if not, I mean, I'd love to interview him,
but I hope he starts popping up after this show on a lot of wrestling podcast
because you're going to see, you can tell,
because so back in the 80s, I mean, even before the 80s,
the way that it worked before Vince McMahon,
do you know how like the territories worked and stuff?
No, no.
I know it used to be called WWWF.
It was.
It was.
It was.
I was working there when that started.
The lawsuit started happening, by the way.
And then they were pretty sure they were going to.
to lose the name and then sure shit they did.
But I remember that conversation clear as day with Stephanie not being happy about it.
But anyway, that's a whole different podcast.
The territories, WWF was the big one in like the East Coast, like New York.
And so Vince's dad was running in the United.
So there were territories throughout.
Like you went to Madison Square Garden to see WWF, but then there were there were places in like Tennessee was like a big one.
And they had these territories all over because it wasn't, if you,
watched local television like Nebraska.
Yeah.
You would see the territory that was on in Nebraska.
It wasn't national where you would turn on
and you wouldn't be able to watch the WWF at the time
because that's not, that wasn't the territory.
And what Vince McMahon did,
what he had the idea to do was to start making one territory,
one, and that's the national thing,
and start putting it and getting all.
So he would pluck the stars from all the different territories.
He got Hogan, he would get all these people,
he got Ricky Steamboat, he got all these people,
and he put him and he got him in the,
and he just recruited them from all over the place,
and he had scouts, and it was genius on how he did it,
but the territories were like, and the old school guys,
like, it was like almost like mafia families, right?
It was like the old school guys never in a million years would think,
like, you don't come after my territory, I stay in my territory,
it's it, and Vince was like, like, fuck that.
And he just took over the whole thing,
and that's why he's a billionaire, you know.
But they definitely in this show treat that,
they could go back to that.
And you could tell Stephen Amel knows
of how it used to work,
because this is like a little territory,
and then there's a competing territory
that he has in Florida,
because they're in Georgia,
and he's in Florida,
so they're probably going to play into that storyline.
The possibilities for this show endless,
because the different wrestlers
that they could bring in,
that's what I hope that this show is a hit,
that they start doing stuff like that.
And so Rick Flair just got released
from the WWE recently, right?
Like, when he started mentioning Rick Flair,
and Sting, I was like, how great would it be to get, like, Flair to come in and do, like,
and have him be on the show.
Have Flair be on the show, have some old school wrestlers.
Like, the fact that they acknowledge the old school stuff, like, as if it's real, bring in some of these guys.
It's like, it's, and, you know, and they were talking about, they didn't mention what I liked.
They didn't mention, there's the guy who told you from True Blood.
He works for, like, the big show.
Now, whether or not that's WWE or not, they don't ever really mention.
but maybe if they do a partnership down the line with, I mean, they mentioned WCW and
WWW owns WCW.
So maybe they, maybe they mention, maybe they do some kind of deal.
I think that he has a good relationship with them, but to have WB wrestlers start
showing up there or make a deal and start doing stuff with AEW and have AEW wrestlers come in.
Can you just don't have topic, can you do a schmodeon where you can get questions right,
where you're like, the cop from true, but, right.
As long as you're in the area.
We just call it the in the area
Shmodeon.
Batman's Butler.
Right.
In that case, Kevin Smith would have gotten the point for Kate when he answered.
Did you see that the whole thing?
So he answered, the answer was Kate Blanchette.
And he answered Kate.
And he fucking challenged it.
He challenged it.
And he's like, ah, you know, I spelled it right.
It was C-A-T-E.
And there were people in the comments section that were like,
come on, he should have gotten in.
And I'm like, I gave him.
I gave him the Harvey Milk thing that time, and that was reversed.
But like, C-A-T-E, come on, guys.
If I give the guy Kate, it's like that's an in-the-area thing.
But, like, in the area, so who was the lead guy and pump up the volume?
The brother in Robin Hood.
Yes, yes, that counts.
That counts.
Which Robinhood?
The one with the guy from Phil the Dreams.
That's right, right.
Feel the Dream.
So who was in Field of Dreams?
I know the one guy, the guy who voices Simba's dad.
Yes, yes, yes.
That counts.
That counts.
Judges?
Judges.
Judges.
Who's our judge?
He was the guy that was in the one match with Dan Merle.
Right, right.
That would be funny to do a match like that.
That's what I feel like my whole life is just like,
I God, I know this guy's face.
know what he's been in.
You know what?
I totally, like, blew Lonnie away.
We were watching Perry Mason.
I go, that judge is Max Hadrew.
Oh, that's a good one.
She's like, what?
Yeah, see, references like that I know you can get.
Because that's, yeah, you tie back into that area.
No, it is.
Check it out.
There it is.
What do we watch my wife and I the other night?
I mean, well, they watched, my wife watched a bachelor last night.
I can't take it.
I'm done with, I used to be.
Natural Paradise I'm going to go back to.
Okay, I can maybe, but we used to have so much.
so much fun and it just became like and I described it like the people that are on it now
grew up watching it and they know it's a game and no longer is there any element of maybe
they're looking for all I can tell you is last night what I saw I mean like I tune in the pieces
of it and I saw that this guy was into her and he pours his heart out to her and just tells her
how much he loves her and she can't say anything really because she's the bachelor and she's a couple of a
guy. So she's like petting his head.
He's like, and pouring, he just lost his dad, you know, not too long ago, pouring his heart
out to her. And she's just like, that's nice. And the guy just shuts down and fucking bails, right?
And he's like, I'm out of here. Fuck this. Right. But he definitely should have handled it better.
And he should have been like, she's like, stay, stay. And he's like, listen, I'm fucking out of here.
I just pour my guts out to you. And he's leaving.
which he should have handled like an adult and said,
hey, you know what?
I'm just letting you know I was really hurt and I had a full conversation.
But it goes to shit and he takes off.
So she winds up and she couldn't.
She's like, I can't say I love you.
So then she's with this other guy and she's like,
you know, I've been thinking about it and I love you.
It's like, well, clearly the guy was right.
He felt like pissed up.
But so then they bring this guy, this guy out and she's and,
And she is pissed.
She's pissed.
So she brings out the guy that left.
Oh, right.
And she's pissed.
The women tell all or whatever.
And she just fucking is hammering this dude, right?
And the guy's like, it's like, I'm sorry.
And she's not wrong in the fact that like if you say you love me, you should have stuck around.
Yeah.
You should have stuck around.
But she is just going after his character destroying him.
And the audience, ha-ho!
Ha-ho!
Clapping on everything.
It's like, shut up.
Just let them both talk.
And it was such a disaster.
I'm watching the whole thing.
And I'm like, I'm like, why do people do this to themselves?
Yeah.
Oh, that's the thing.
Followers on Instagram.
Well, and that's where it also, all, we, I mostly mean, I usually checked out when it got a little too.
Like, once people you could tell hearts were being broken, that's when the show is like, I couldn't handle it anymore.
I can handle all the goofiness in the beginning.
But once somebody, you're like, I think this person is actually in love with this person.
and she's going to destroy him.
And the producers are like this waiting for that moment for this poor brother.
Watch, his heart's going to be broken in a million pieces, ready for this.
But you know who's hosting now The Bachelor in Paradise?
David Spade.
Yes, sign me out.
That's what I'm saying.
And they did this whole trailer.
And he's like, there's all these hot people on the beach.
And I'm the host.
And like for that, and like Little Wayne comes out.
And he was like, yeah!
It's like, they are no, they're going straight up.
Set recorder.
That one I'm looking forward to because like that to me, that's just, that's train wreck.
Oh, yeah.
And I don't give a shit about it.
You find your wife great.
You'd be divorced in eight months.
I don't, you, congratulations.
And you marry.
What always happens with these fucking people is they get, the person from the show, they
divorce or not divorced, they split up with.
And then they find somebody else from the show in one of the reunions and marry them and have six
babies.
Yeah.
Like that always happens.
but with this thing, I want to see them just chaos on these shows because it's Bachelor and Paradise.
I've told people this from Collider Live.
I don't watch the Bachelor franchise.
I'm with you on Bachelor and Bachelor Out.
I can't take it.
It's like waterboarding at this point.
But Bachelor and Paradise is fucking fun, man.
It's fun.
And just the, well, when people will walk past somebody, they just had like this nice conversation with them go, hey, do you want to go on a solo date with me?
And the other person's like, right.
Right.
It's a complete game show.
Yeah.
And it's, it's chaos.
And I watched, when we went to Hawaii two years ago, my kids would fall asleep.
My wife and I had like the splitters and we were watching, we were watching Match a Paradise.
And it was like, it was a blast.
And like, you know, it's, it, that, if for those people, go check it out.
But I did watch another new show called The Supranos.
Everyone's like, every episode you watch Supranos.
You know any people I got rewatching The Supranos?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Season 4, man.
Did you start re-watching it yet?
That one, I don't know.
Moni never watched it.
I did it by myself.
There's other shows that I think that we were talking about things that we miss franchises that we missed.
I should probably do like the wire or something and not re-watch the sopranos.
The reason I say you should re-watch the surprise because this movie's coming up.
You know we're going to talk about it on this show.
That's right.
That's right.
And so this is what I told my brother.
I'll watch it at five times speed.
Perfect.
But this is what I told my brother because he said the same thing.
And my wife, my, my, my, my, my girlfriend wouldn't get into it.
And I was, what you need to do is, she, because she, like, walked in a couple of,
watch it with your gumma.
Yes, right.
That's exactly right.
No, watch it.
Like, I said to him, because I guess she just kind of walked in a few different episodes and saw violence.
It was like, it's not for me.
I said, you need to watch the pilot.
Because the pilot, I don't think there's, like, any violence in the pilot until they beat the shit.
They'd run over that guy in the car in the first episode.
But it's.
It's such a beautifully written show, and it shows you the two families that he's balancing,
that if, no matter if you're man, woman, whoever, watching that show for the first time in that episode,
you're in or out from that pilot.
Does Lonnie ever watch the pilot?
I don't think so, yeah.
Watch the pilot.
And then if she's into the pilot, then you lock her in, you guys watch as many.
If she's on into the pilot, then it ain't going to work.
but does she like Goodfellas and Casino and all that kind of shit?
Yeah, I think so.
I mean, I'm pretty sure I watched all that before her,
but she also, when she lived with a bunch of dudes,
so I'm sure she's seen a lot of those.
Like when she was young and single.
I'm sure.
Yeah, like.
So I would recommend the pilot because if we,
because we're going to cover many Saints in Newark,
probably for like 12 episodes on this show.
Is the pilot, is the therapy element of it in the pilot?
Yeah.
Okay, okay.
I think it starts out with him in the, it either starts out with him in the office or it starts out with him with the ducks.
Okay.
Either one.
But yeah, well, yeah, it's, it's, that's the whole premise of the, of the, of the first episode.
Because that might be a way to kind of hook or two is to show like, oh, this is, this is kind of, you know, like.
People think right away that the show is just about mobsters and death and killing.
And it's, and it's not.
Like, I was watching an episode last night in season four.
And it's Tony dealing with the loss of somebody that he knew.
And then he like inside.
He then starts to take care of his friend who needs some help and this and other things.
And it's the conversations he's having.
He starts to try to be a better person.
And he's having his conversation with his sister and trying to have,
trying to be a better human being.
And it's like these conversations that he's having.
It's, there's no like violence in the episode I watched at all.
Yeah.
And it was just like these human things.
And so, yeah, I would, I would recommend.
watching that pilot with her.
And I'm curious,
can you watch the pilot
before next Wednesday?
Because then...
Yeah, I could give it a deal with college.
We've been flipping around
and not really, you know,
there's a lot of...
We've had some dogs lately of just like...
And I keep telling her, I'm like...
Dogs mean some shitbox?
Yeah, yeah, I'm just like,
honey, I'm on a show
where people talk about movies and television
every day.
If I haven't heard about it,
it's probably not...
Hey, we should watch Jolt!
I'm like, I don't think this is gonna be good.
Or Volt or it's the...
Bolt with the dog, the John from the Bolt.
No, no, it's with Sandra Bullock.
No, not Sandra Bullock.
I'm sorry, sorry.
Oh, God, why can't I think of her name?
I love her.
She's that one woman that was in the one.
She was in the underworld.
Oh, Kate Beckinsale.
Kate Beckinsale.
Oh, yeah, I've heard it's a terrible movie.
Yeah, I'm like, and I love her.
Oh, McCougas said it was bad.
Yeah, it was.
And McCugia likes everything.
And I really wanted to be good.
And it was, yeah, it was, you know, it's Jai Courtney.
Yeah, it's a few years ago, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And she was like, we should like, we should watch her.
Watch this, I'm like, okay, I love Cape Beck and sell.
I'm down.
I mean, that's all you had.
Yeah, it was just like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
The story was just like, you didn't, and why and whatever.
So we saw that, and then there was something else you watch,
um, wild mountain time.
The fuck is that?
That's like it's got, it's got Christopher walking with a horrible Irish accent,
but his cadence, you know, like that's almost a selling point to watch it.
And then, um, uh, oh God, uh, Emily Blonde.
and then I can never remember his name, 50 Shades of Gray.
Oh, the serial killer guy.
Yeah.
Right.
That was a good show.
I heard, but I never watched it.
What's his name, Julian something?
So his name was in, no, no, no, it's Julian something.
You're the one.
I would answer it, Julian something.
Fentryin'Hawkes, Hot Guy.
The guy.
He was in Barb and Stargo to Vista Del Mar.
Yeah, right.
That still cannot believe that you watched that movie.
It was, oh, I loved it.
I know you liked it, but I couldn't.
I bailed.
Second, from the opening scene, the kid singing on the bike, I was out.
I was out.
No thanks.
But we do, we do Ted Lassow, and we do Shmigadoon, which is.
What fuck is that?
That's the one where the, it's, it's, oh, God, from SNL.
Oh, Jesus, man.
They end up, they're in a music.
Something happens their relationship.
They're in a musical.
Like their life is a musical?
Yeah, yeah.
Like they have this weird things where they suddenly end up.
Like click?
Yeah.
Oh, God, maybe I got to look at this one of.
Great synopsis.
You should pitch stuff to the studio.
It's not great, but it's something.
I did watch that sketch show you told me about, though.
Oh, you did.
I liked it.
McCougo also said, most accurate statement ever, right?
he goes
watch it by yourself
because Sadie will bail within seconds.
Oh yeah.
She was like,
what the fuck is this?
Right?
And I,
I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it.
I watched the first episode.
Yeah.
And the yelling,
yelling element gets a little.
Yeah,
I think you should leave.
It's a second.
So you watch the first season.
I wish for the first episode.
Oh,
okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There's two seasons.
I'll watch it.
They're quick.
That one,
that one I'll be able to watch for sure.
But I'm,
I just,
I'm in this mode right now that like,
I saw someone,
said they were all pissed off because we were talking about
the suicide squad which you did watch
someone was all mad because Steph and Ben were
talking about how much they liked it and they're like well why
they're talking about if Christian hasn't seen it
but yet he has the time to watch a 20 year old
TV show I'm like I lock
into this thing and like I have to finish the show
the sparrados because I want to get all the references
and every little thing now I'm picking up shit
anytime they talk about
in the past I'm looking at names
I'm writing names down because I know
that the many saints in Newark is going to either play into it, maybe not.
Go back on, oh, like, I want to go in so, like, revitalized from knowing when, I don't want
things to go over my head when I see the movie, because there's going to be so many references
to things that happen that it's like, it's not going to ruin the experience, but it's just going to,
it's going to heighten the experience when you're watching it if you've revisited a lot of these
different things with Johnny Boy Soprano and hearing all these things.
I know the world so well.
by the time I rap season six or whatever it is,
the movie's going to start.
And I had just blasted through the entire six seasons
in like two or three months or whatever it is,
and I'm ready to go.
And I don't want...
Suicide Squad, I will watch the Suicide Squad.
I really want to watch that.
And the other thing, like I said,
I have the whole Heels thing.
To me, I would much rather...
I've been through the comic book movie thing, guys,
and I love it.
I'm not one of these people out there
that it's just like,
oh, I've done with comic book movies,
comic movie.
Oh, it's a fucking big business.
And there's a lot.
And like I said, I just watched all of what if and really dug it.
But right now, heels to me calls more on like a something that I'm interested in watching than the Suicide Squad.
And I really want to watch the Suicide Squad.
Yeah.
I mean, we watched it because we're like, shit, it's free.
You liked it, right?
Yeah.
We liked it.
We didn't love it.
There's something we can't put.
We don't know why we didn't love it.
And we don't, you know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
It was just, it was just one of these ones where it's like we.
really wanted to like it a lot because I heard a lot of good things about it.
And I'm not going to, I would in no way shit on it in any way.
Right.
It just wasn't like, I wasn't like, oh, this is awesome.
There's a lot of little parts where like, oh, this was funny.
Oh, that was great.
This was great.
Yeah.
I just, I don't want to watch it in my living room.
I want to watch it here.
I want to watch it back here.
And I want to watch it like, you know, I just, it's a matter of time.
Like I was going to shut off everything and watch it the day, but then I got
hit with a bunch of work.
And then by the time I, then I got to.
to go inside and it's like shit when am i going to find i should what i should have done was
watch it last night when she was watching bachelor yeah that's what i should have done but i had to see
that stupid drama unfold i think it's it's two hours 20 minutes it didn't feel like it wasn't like it was
like a drug on or anything like that and it wasn't like we were it just we both looked at each other
and we went huh it was just one of those ones where you almost almost you want to watch it
again just to go like maybe there's some stuff i missed maybe to see it do you so do you buy
into i'm sure you guys talked about it on scn live by the way if you guys didn't know sceen live
is every day 10 to 12 p.m.
Right after this show on Twitch, on our Shmodeon Twitch channel,
which they've been doing some great stuff over there.
It is our premier Twitch show.
You can go there.
And if you don't want to go to Twitch,
you're like, ah, you still like to watch it on YouTube.
The SEM Live Patreon, if you go there,
the $5 patrons and up,
get the show on YouTube two weeks after it's,
because it's on Twitch for two weeks.
And after it appears on Twitch,
it's sent out to the patrons two weeks later.
But if you just want it on YouTube, the $10 patrons get it the day after.
And after it's on Twitch, you get it right away and you can watch it tomorrow.
But did you guys talk about it on SCN Live about the HBO Max system and how suicide.
The Suicide Squad didn't do very well.
Well, yeah.
And that's what I'm always saying.
And I'm sure a lot of people are thinking about this is that why isn't that part of box office?
I mean, it's a whole new world we're living in.
Like you need to...
Subscriber base and how many people are watching ratings.
I think the reason why, to answer your question,
I think that in order to say something is a bomb or not,
you need to look at all the information.
You need to look at how many people have watched it thus far on HBO Max?
How many people signed up to HBO Max because of it?
Because we're still equating what is a success or failure
due to what the opening weekend was at the box office.
And the problem is when that movie was put together, when the budgets were made, it was made as if this is coming out in the theaters.
And that's how we're going to equate that.
Huge budget, right?
Massive budget, like $200 million or whatever it is.
So in that standard, yeah, it's a failure because you're still going off the old standards.
But when you're putting together that plan of HBO Max and saying, okay, we're going to release this.
We're going to do it.
Because people are saying, well, this plan isn't working because it's hurting all your movies.
but the other thing is Delta hit right around this time.
Like, you know, all these other movies had really big openings.
Yeah, but it was when things were starting to go down again.
And now things are spiking again with Delta.
So that probably also had something to do with it.
But the HBO Max thing is real.
There's no doubt about it.
Like I had friends say to me,
are you going to go see it in the theater?
And I'll be honest with you.
If there was no Delta right now,
I'm going to watch it at home.
Yeah.
Because unless I had a screening or something too,
because I, unless you're, like, Dune, Dune I really want to see in the theater.
Like, Dune I want to see in the theater.
I can't get, Lonnie watched the preview.
She goes, what is this?
Like, I don't think she remembers the first one.
I'm like, I don't know what it is either.
The first one is not, it's not, they're not the same thing.
And I want to see it just because I don't know.
There's something about it because it's so confusing.
I like, I don't know what the story.
I know there's something with spice.
Right.
You know, and that's about, I know they're in the sand and their eyes turn blue.
That's all like.
It looks intriguing.
Yeah, it looks intriguing.
Yeah.
It's intriguing.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Do not put the two of those together.
Do not.
Do not.
Do not do that because the David Lynch one, it's, it's, this is more,
it's based off the book.
And David Lynch took the book and did David Lynch stuff with it.
This is a version of the actual book.
Riley's losing his mind over because Riley loves the book.
I'm looking forward to it, but I think it's the same thing.
HBO Max already said they're not doing this strategy next year.
And I'm bummed by that because HBO Max has become my favorite app.
Because of that.
It's like, I love the idea.
I mean, The Matrix 4, are you kidding me?
Like, I cannot wait until that hits.
And that's the same thing.
Do I want to see that in the theater?
Of course I do.
But it's also pretty awesome that I can just kick back with my wife and be like, let's watch Matrix tonight.
Yeah.
Again, and our televisions are insane these days.
And even me, I've got a 46-inch flat screen.
It's not nothing special.
It's 10 years old, but I'm this far away from it.
It's like, it's great.
You know, we're thinking about when we used to watch on four, three, our tube televisions.
Yeah, going to the theater was a big thing.
We didn't have the speakers set up.
We didn't have the big, you know.
So it's a tough thing.
But one thing I did think about with Suicide Squad in and the fact that they didn't charge for it,
I was both happy, but I'm like, oh, should they have charged?
You know, like, because I don't like the charging, but I also understand, like, maybe you should to help out this film.
I mean, yeah, yeah, but you can.
But you can't do that when you say, because their goal, again, let we have, they don't release the information, right?
The question is, how many new subscribers did they get when they made this plan?
Yeah.
How many people signed up to it?
How many new people have signed up in general to see these movies?
Like, how many people did they get from Snyder cut?
How many people did they get when they released this initial batch?
Like, that all, that all has to be taken into consideration because you can't then now change it after you said, okay, well, you're going to,
going to get the Suicide Squad and Dune and Matrix.
Oh, you know what?
We changed our mind now.
Yeah.
And now we're going to, now you got to change.
We're going to do what Disney does and do premium for that one.
And then you can keep it.
They'd be like, well, screw you.
I signed up because you told me I was getting it for free.
So that's why they're doing like their year slate.
And maybe they change yourself and try to do the Disney model next year.
I thought, I thought, I thought Disney would scrap it after Mulan.
I thought that that was like, oh, shit.
Okay, not the 30 bucks thing.
That's not going to happen anymore.
because Mulan just wasn't a great movie.
Is that?
I think, because it seemed to work with Raya.
Yeah.
Seemed to work with Black Widow.
And it seemed to work with, what was the, I mean,
Crewella also, right?
Otis Corello, Schrello, I don't remember.
I think Corella was, I can't remember which one went on.
But there were a few of them that,
that the only one that I remember hearing any pushback on as far as, like,
yeah, that strategy to work was Mulan.
Yeah.
And maybe it was also, to be fair to Mulan,
it was that it was the first one.
And that one had already been,
It was supposed it was at a premiere.
Yeah.
And like there was, they didn't know what to do with it.
It was just kind of like the guinea pig.
So, yeah, I don't know.
I don't know.
That was a trickier.
But it was cool for us to, we were like,
we just saw a movie that just came out.
You know, like, this is really fun for us because we can't get to the theater and we don't want to.
You know, it's a.
No, I think what they're going to wind up doing over.
Because you can't, you're never going to be able to go back to the way it used to be where,
you know, you put a movie out and then like a seven, eight months later comes out on, or
five months later comes out on Blu-ray.
Because people are, there's so much content now,
and there's so much, I think that at the very least,
you do what Disney's doing,
you have it come out, you put it on Premiere, right?
Because then you're still, that strategy,
once theaters are booming again.
Right now, I still think HBO Max,
it makes sense because they want people to see their movie
and people are scared of the Delta right now.
But when the world is back to normal,
even though I don't love the fact that I'm not going to be able to watch,
watch the HBO Max movies selfishly next year because they're going to, but they should charge for them.
And because then you get this thing of, all right, because the suicide squad, like you said, was $20 for premium.
And then you get to keep it on your app for however long after that.
More people probably would have done it for sure.
And you would have made a little bit more money on it.
But I don't know, it's a tricky situation.
But there's no chance you can go back to the whole, well, forcing people to go into the theater because no one will see your, you know.
Some people will see your movies and you'll get more bombs.
More people will see your movie if you put it on your streaming platform.
Yeah, yeah, 100%.
And I know that that's not what people want,
and I know that's not where the big money comes in.
I mean, getting a subscription to one of these streaming services
is nowhere near like, you know, $15 ticket, $15 ticket.
And you have food in your house?
Yeah, yeah.
Like, that's what I'm telling you, I'm going to make a whether it's,
and the other one I want to see, I don't know when it's coming on Peacock is the,
the Fast 9.
Oh, is that, that's a peacock?
It's universal.
It's dipped into the peacock.
It's universal.
So I would assume, I would assume that that's where it's going to air.
Like right now, I know that it's on demand, but I don't want to get it on demand.
I, that's my point for, if you sign up for a streaming service, you either get it when it comes out or you wait.
Yeah.
Like Black Widow, I had the same, you and I've had the same conversation.
So many different times, ah, should we?
No, it's going to be on Disney Plus soon.
I'm going to wait.
and I will watch my wife and I have been patiently waited we almost did it the other night we're like let's get it and then we're like we're this close same it's gonna be on Disney Plus soon we're waiting we're like I really want to see it I'm just not but why am I paying $30 for it when I don't have to I guess it's like there's no and as I was saying it it's a different I'm in a very different place than I was like a couple years ago where I would go to a screening I would try to get the review out quick or if there if I needed to see something
like it, you know, you see it when you have to see it,
then you put the review out, I'll see it,
and then when I finally see it in two months or whatever it might be,
I'm going to talk about it on the show.
Guys, guess what I finally watched.
I finally watched The Black Widow, here's my thoughts on.
I finally watched Mortal Kombat.
Here's my thoughts on it.
I never watched it.
And I think, like, and I missed in the Heights.
I missed that, and it disappeared off HBO Mac.
That'll come back eventually.
Oh, it did?
I think so.
I think because, well, what they do is they release it at the same time,
and it's there for just a little bit of time.
Like, Space Jam, I'm probably never.
going to watch.
Yeah.
Unless my daughter wants to watch it.
I wasn't like in that camp.
I didn't give a shit about the first one.
I don't care about this one.
But if my daughter wants to watch it, I'll watch it with her.
I don't care what people are saying about it, whether it's good or bad.
I just never really had any interest in it at all.
But yeah, the one that I don't want the Suicide Squad to go away.
That one I want to watch.
It disappears in like September.
But many Saints and Newer, I'm going to watch that probably once a day.
Like, this is the way that I enjoy watching.
movies again. Like that's what people don't understand is that, I'm like, well, why are you going
back? Because I can go back now. I don't have to like sit there and say, okay, well, I got three
screenings this week. I have this, I have this. There are certain movies I love going to say, and I like
that. I really like doing that at one point. But then when it becomes like a gig, I'm like, if I want to
watch many states in Newark five times in a week, I will. Yeah, and I can see where that's a
comfort for you when you, just this whole like, I guess what we watched last night, you know, must love
dogs. Right. There's a, that's a comfort
food for you. You know it's something that's
just, you know what it is, you know what to expect.
And you don't have to be like, oh, God, I have to review this.
Right. It reminds me of why I got into this
in the first place of just like someone who just likes to watch movies
and talk about it. And like last night I stumbled upon this
and we watched this and that was fun. That's why I got into this.
And then it's like, oh, well, now go see this movie. This brand new movie's
coming out. This is coming out. This thing you don't give a shit about this is
coming out. Now that person wants you to do this.
spoiler review and it's like oh i just want to you know like i'll like you guys know like when i'm
passionate about it like i like i said i watched that that heel show with a real curiosity
hoping it was going to be good i was like oh it's good this is a show that i can now i'm excited because
i have a show i can watch and i'm going to watch this show like i have the entire season
i don't know if i want to watch the entire season on my computer like i want to watch i'm i'm going to
i think what i'm going to do is watch it with my wife like the first episode again if she's in the
first episode, then I have a show that I can watch.
If not, then I'll watch the rest of it on my, on my computer.
Yeah, I don't watch anything on my, that's what, you know, it's like when people say,
why don't you watch something else with your wife?
I'm like, well, we have the one television.
I don't have one in our bedroom and I'm not.
That screen is pretty big, though.
This one over here, that was for that computer.
That's not a bad one to watch them.
Yeah, see, I wouldn't want to, not on this little screen, but like, yeah, but, I mean,
even, just to watch a few of them and.
I mean, for Schmegadoon, you could watch.
Smegadoo.
See, it's Keek and Michael.
Key and Cessley Strong.
I just looked at two names.
Boom.
It was good?
It's weird.
I'm not going to pitch it.
I'm not going to pitch it.
It's good.
Yeah.
But I'm just going to say it's quirky.
It's quirky.
They're stuck in a musical.
It's pretty funny.
And they're trying to deal with their relationship.
And it's, do you go into it with like, this is just silly?
What's it on?
That's on Apple TV because that's another problem.
We do.
Oh.
Ted Lasso and that, they both are released on Wednesday, I believe.
So that's what I watched with my wife the other day.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has a show on Apple.
It's called Mr. Carter or something?
Oh, yeah, we looked at that.
It looked like it would rip my heart out, but it also looked pretty good.
I don't want to rip your heart out.
It was good.
I liked the episode.
It's shot like an independent film, and it's this, you'd love it.
Oh, it's right up your alley.
Is that what it's called Mr. Carter?
I believe it's something.
He's a teacher.
Can you look that up?
It's him like trying to realize he didn't reach his dreams or something.
He's a musician.
But he's a fifth grade teacher, I think.
Or fourth or fifth grade teacher.
And he's, yeah, he's got a roommate and they have this.
And he winds up going to this bar and picking up this girl.
And this whole thing happens at the apartment, this conversation that they have.
It's a very Joseph Gordon-Levitt-like show.
Oh, Mr. Corman.
Mr. Corman, aren't as close.
Mr. Carter, Coach Carter is the one of the time.
But Mr. Corman is the show on Apple TV.
And it's so funny that we, that my wife and I both liked it when we watched it.
And then last, today, because she wanted to watch Bachelor last night,
but today we're going to watch tonight.
I'm going to suggest that because we want to see where it goes.
We were curious about it.
Apple TV has some good stuff.
It was just too late.
I think we wanted to start that.
Yeah, it's short.
It's 25 minutes or something.
Have you seen Cherry with Spider-Man?
What's Spider-Man?
Oh, no, no, no, no, Tom Holland.
No, no, no.
It's, it's, it's, that takes place, like, in the woods or whatever.
It's, it's, it's, it's, he's, uh, in the military and he's robbing banks.
It's, it's, it's kind of, I don't know, we just.
Netflix?
Uh, no, that's Apple TV as well, I believe, I believe if we were, like the Apple TV, huh?
Yeah, well, it's, we, we, if we get into one, like, we watch Lassow, and then it's like, let's see what else is in here, and I think, yeah, and the schmiganoon is on there.
Oh, and I've realized something in searching why I haven't seen the spider.
Man films or the
New Hulk because
they're owned by Sony and they're
not on right? The new Hulk's Paramount.
But yes, but the
Spider-Man movies are our show. Which Hulk was the
or was it the other one? Edward Norton one.
Edward Norton one. That's paramount. Yeah.
Yeah. So there's
yeah there's only a certain amount. I don't know if
I feel like there was an
announcement that Disney Plus was going to get the
Spider-Man's at Disney Plus but I don't think it's for a couple
years. I think that could be totally
bullshit. But
But yeah, those movies, you have to either get them on Amazon.
Yeah.
Or you got, does Sony even have an app?
No.
No, Sony doesn't even have an app.
I think so.
But yeah, that's because those are my ones I've missed in the, like,
somebody in the comments the other day on Nassian was like,
I bet Brett's never seen all the marbles.
I've seen everyone except for Spider-Man.
Do you want to borrow the Spider-Man?
Oh, hell, yeah.
But bring them back because you have my other movie you never brought back.
What's that?
I don't even remember, but I know you borrowed something and you told my video games.
She took my video games.
Oh, yeah.
No, I took one video game.
You took the Unchartered, the whole series.
Yeah, my son's still playing.
Yeah, and had I not brought it up, you would have kept it.
Fucking scumbags.
I could have kept that for 10 years, you know.
And you would have known, but now I remember it.
You got to make a little uncharted back.
My buddy used to have a little checkout system.
I know.
Because there are people like you because you do that.
I'll never know.
That shirt I brought in that when you were going to do the Spranos discussion, but you did.
And I put it on.
That's my buddies that I borrowed for.
an audition
That's what I'm saying.
There's no fucking chance
you're getting the Spider-Man movies
until you bring back Uncharted.
It's a barter system at this point
with my own shit.
Fucking.
I just forget.
You've given me so many things.
That's your schick.
Usually it's like, here, take this movie.
You get it, you know, which I've heard great things
about this one.
I have like eight of those.
So if I have, if that one you can have
if I have it's in the pile.
But let me make sure.
But I can't have until it's bad.
Until you bring on Charterman.
it back.
Like, I have, like, all the games, and I do want to play those eventually.
And, and you know, you fucking skimbeg.
You would have kept that shit, and then it's like, oh, I forgot.
I legit forgot that that was a loner.
But Blake is in the middle, like, he's starting from the beginning, which kind of bugs
you, because I'm like, the first one seemed that the graphics are, like, just play the last one.
I'm just going to show up and rip it out of his fucking console.
Your dad's a, your dad's a freeloader.
It's like that scene and the surprise.
In the season two, when Tony takes the guy's whole store because it doesn't pay him back.
It's totally destroyed.
Robert Patrick from Terminator 2 fame is the Terminator.
But he's like, yeah, he just goes bust.
All for uncharted.
I just need Spider-Man.
Can I get Spider-Man?
Where's my fucking uncharted?
It's just uncharted.
It's the whole series.
It's the whole series.
Hey, was I not nice to you?
I could have just given you one,
but I gave you one, two,
and fucking trade.
And what'd you do?
Did you bring those back?
No, you did not.
What did you do?
You asked for Spider-Man
and did not acknowledge
that you even had my game.
And then,
and then what you tried to do,
don't lie to me,
what you tried to do
go, I forgot.
I thought it was a gift.
You thought it was a gift.
Well, here's the gift.
I'm not going to break your fucking legs today.
God, what's Brett's P.O. Box?
I'm going to send him.
I'm charged.
I feel bad.
So what is, and your mother's going to?
Is Christian mad?
Is he really mad about it?
Give him.
It's uncharted for Christ.
Give him the game.
I didn't raise you this way.
Stole the man's game.
Meanwhile,
everything in this fucking studio is built by.
looking at that video game system
and I remember like you and Kate
putting it together
it's like the
asking price at the very minimum
should have been uncharted
I built a birdhouse out there
it's a human birdhouse
I lost seven pounds of sweat
the craziest thing about that
was when I put the roof on I'm like shit
I'm stuck inside this thing right now
I don't know if I could get out of the store
Sliding, throwing bread at your face
So you can have meals through the little window
This was a bad idea.
Yeah, right.
Shut the door and lock you in there.
Bing-bon.
You see my husband?
Yeah, he lives in Gingerbread House now.
But he's got uncharted.
Yeah, he built himself into it.
Yeah, it works out.
Anyway, smugadoo.
This was fun.
It was a good show.
So I recommend some stuff today.
I recommend.
I recommend what if.
That's, we'll be out, I think, this weekend.
I think it comes out on Sunday.
I don't remember.
Whenever it comes out on Disney Plus, you should check it out.
I don't know how many episodes they're releasing.
I don't know if it's week by week, but the first three are pretty good.
They're pretty fun.
Reels Star Show comes out Sunday.
I'll be interviewing Phil Brooks, aka.
C.M. Punk.
Hopefully, tomorrow more, well, Friday will be the episode itself.
Subscribe to the new channel, the S-E-N channel,
because all these episodes are going to start living there.
and check out SCN every day, 10 to 12 p.m. on the Twitch.
Make sure you do that and check it out.
We have a lot of great stuff going on.
If you're able to make it out to the New York event, October 9th, please do that.
That's going to be good.
And not even October 9th.
This Saturday, to be a couple days from now, at the Scumman Villany Cantina.
We're going to be there.
Mike Kalanowski versus Chandrew, three other matches.
There'll be a lot of fun.
We did it once before.
We're pretty much sold out.
I think there might be like two tickets left.
Snowdown Live.com, October 9, December 4th, downtown L.A.
for the Snowdowns spectacular.
What fun show was.
Leave a comment and try to answer as many as possible here.
