Starting point is 00:00:30 Spider-Man 4 gets a title finally. Do we like it? Spider-Man Beyond Spider-Verse gets a release date. Do we believe it? And Cinemicon is in full effect. We've got some updates. CinemaCon, and of course, TV picks here today from Roxy Stryor, the returning Roxy Stryor.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Can she be the triumphant, Roxy Stryor? We will find out. She doesn't know what can anymore because she's a movie star. So we'll talk to Roxanator when we get to the show. That's what we're doing for Apple Podcasts or Spotify, where everywhere the podcasts are found. So let's get into it, everybody. It is the Christian Harlow show.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Me, you and Roxy. Let's do it. How the hell are you? Everybody, welcome back. It is Tuesday on this April 1st, April Fool's Day. And I'm not lying. It's not an April Fool's show. Roxy Shire is actually here.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Hello, Roxy. How are you? I'm fine. How are you, Christian? Thanks for not giving up my space on this show, man. I thought I was going to come back to a full chair. Come on. Sam wasn't available. Yeah, I figured.
Starting point is 00:01:53 No, she wouldn't even do it. She loves you too much. She loves you too much. She wouldn't do it. Everybody was. We missed it. She's way more popular than I am, though. You might have to bring her in because, holy crap.
Starting point is 00:02:03 She's pretty popular. Yeah, we did that five and a half hour stream. actually popped into it. Who did a five and a half hour stream? I did with, well, I did a lot of it. And then one of the, one of the subscribers was like, hey,
Starting point is 00:02:18 you know, because I was, you know that whole thing that happened with Marvel with the chairs and all that stuff, right? Yeah, I did see that. I saw that. Yeah. Thank you for asking because I didn't see anything else other than that. So you're going to have to, I've just been not paying attention at all. Of course. And you were doing the intro, I was like,
Starting point is 00:02:36 that's a lot of stuff. that's happened. There's a lot of stuff. So we're actually going to be pretty busy today because we have a lot of cinema con. It just started. It was yesterday. So there's a lot of cinema con news already. You know until you said it that that was happening right now. What is it in? It's always in Vegas. That's what I thought. Okay. Well, I was supposed to be there, but I didn't, I decided, I opted not to go. Oh, is this something that last year you flew in for the flash for like 24 hours? That was two years ago. That was two years ago. Yes. It flies by. But yeah, I was going to do it this year. I was going to go for the four days, but I just didn't think it was worth it overall because the Superman trailer will probably drop soon.
Starting point is 00:03:12 There's a lot of things that they were announced. They're dropping the Superman trailer at Cinemicon? I think they're going to drop the Superman trailer before CinemaCon or before the panel at CinemaCon. That's my opinion. And I think that they're going to show some extra footage at CinemaCon. I think they're going to tell some more DC stuff. I think it'll be pretty big.
Starting point is 00:03:30 I assume. But we'll see. And we'll be able to talk about that and more on... Once we get to it because tomorrow, it's tomorrow I'm, I have a lot of things that I'm doing. So Roka's going to host the show and Snyder's going to be on. So it's essentially like a hot mic episode on this channel. That's perfect. And I think he's at Vegas right now.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Snyder? Yeah. So who knows what the hell is going to happen, whether or not I still have a channel on Thursday. We'll find out. Let me ask you this. Just before we get into anything today, because I just need to know what's coming. I'm in a place where I have to know what's down the pipe. are you going to do any April Fool's things or now?
Starting point is 00:04:09 Today, I haven't really thought about it. Okay. But I know down the pipe. I know. I saw a smile. It's okay. I just see the pushing. Pike. Pike. No, down the, down the pike?
Starting point is 00:04:20 Pike. Not pipe. Pike. Not down the pipe? No. Pike. Like the freeway? Pike. P-I-K-E. Not pipe.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Pipe makes more sense. I don't disagree. Because what's coming down the pipe? You don't know. You can't see it. It's covered. I'm just telling you what the, what the saying is. We don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:40 It could be one, could be the other. It's true. But the good news is that not only did you book a movie, Brett Sheridan booked the movie, which was amazing. He was a small role in the next Denzel movie, but it's a speaking part. Oh, my God. April Falls, I had to do it. All right. So let's get to the first topic.
Starting point is 00:04:59 I just asked you if you were. I wasn't going to do it, and then I lied to myself because I did. That was so exciting. But it was good. I delivered it. What do you think is off limits on April 1st in terms of like things like that? So clearly you don't think that's off limits what you just did. But like you've seen like fake pregnancy announcements. Oh, there's all bullshit.
Starting point is 00:05:18 I'll tell you, I got nailed twice. So the first one this morning because, well, my little one comes downstairs and I say, amazing. There's six inches of snow in the back. I don't know how that happened. She goes, you know, I had to trick me. Oh. She goes, you're not going to trick me.
Starting point is 00:05:37 She goes, I'm not going to April Fool. I said, okay. So then we're getting ready and all this stuff. And she goes, she goes, dad, I have a dog with a pug, the dude. She goes, dude's outside. Dude's outside. And it's because he runs outside when the doors open. And I was like, so where is?
Starting point is 00:05:52 She's like, he's in the bushes, in the bushes. And I go, dude. And she goes, ape fools. And I look up and the dog's just standing on the stairs looking at him. I was like, er. But the one that got all of us is, I follow this, this, this, Long Island, um, Instagram food account. And it said the first, uh, the first, um, in and out is opening up in 2026 here.
Starting point is 00:06:14 My whole family got so excited. And then they got me as a use fuckers. That's wild. Yeah. Do you, when you say things like my little one who is Maisie or when you say like I have a crowd named the dude, like, are you doing that for me? No, I do that for the audience. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:32 I know, you know. No, but you're looking. at me. Well, who else will look at the audience? I'm looking at the audience, too. I don't know. I think they all know, too. Not all of them. What if there's a brand new subscriber that hit the button yesterday? Let's know in the comments. Are you a brand new subscriber? That's actually good call.
Starting point is 00:06:50 That's what I'm trying. I do want to jump into this topic because we have a lot of it. Which one? Well, the cinema con stuff I want to hit first because we have all that's a lot of Spider-Man news and I think it comes in with the news. But another question for me first. I don't care. How was the movie? How was shooting? How was you?
Starting point is 00:07:05 It was sick. Did you have a great time? It feels like a lifetime ago, but it was so sick. Did you do scenes with Kate Beckinsale? I don't think I can answer that, but I don't know that I can't. I actually, you know what? They're being so chill. Like on Instagram, Kate has posted a lot of different things.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Lewis Tan started posting a bunch of different stuff. Did he tell him that you interviewed him at Collider Live? Did you both together? I was there. Yeah. Are you fucking serious? I'm pretty sure. Can somebody confirm that with me?
Starting point is 00:07:40 I'm pretty sure you're there. I'll look at it. Well, you know, Cliders took all the interviews down. So I have no idea. Let me see. I'm going to look at it up right now.
Starting point is 00:07:47 It would have been way worse if he remembered and I did not. Let me see. Let me see. Collider Live. Lewis. I love Lewis Tan. Interview. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Okay, let's see. Who is, okay, there is. Wait, where the hell is he? Steve Byrne. Where's Louis Tan? Where the hell?
Starting point is 00:08:07 hell is the interview with Louis Tann? I don't think that happened. Oh, what 100% happened. It 100% happened. 100% happened with you, but you don't know with me. I'm pretty sure that you were in the room. I'm pretty sure. Oh, there he is. Okay, let's see. Let's see. Let's see who it was. I'm going to find out. I'm going to find out. It is, let's see. Please be done. Please agree. You're literally in the room. You are. in the room. I will bring it up right now. I have to tell him that. Hold on. Let me bring this up. Hold on. Let me say.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Yeah, you interviewed him with me. I mean, it's got to be 2018 or something, right? So there you are. No, that's me. That's you. Me, Winston, you and Louis Tan. Yeah. What do you ask about? I have no idea we had to go through. No, honestly, this was that's just the raid remake. That's just one clip, but This was a very memorable interview. I thought it was pretty.
Starting point is 00:09:10 I remember. I remembered. Brutal. You did not remember. No, but let me tell you, I don't remember that, but boy, oh, boy, is who the greatest. Yeah, it was great in the interview. I'm surprised. I'm really surprised you to remember.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Me too. I don't know that my brain's been firing on all cylinders all months. The movie, as you know, I booked it and then I was gone. Like it was all very, very fast. My life has been a little interesting. And then I know that they know that I wasn't with you last week because I had the worst flu. Yeah, it feels like a whole lifetime. But that is crazy that I talked to him.
Starting point is 00:09:50 I don't remember. And I watch it. I'll remember. What were we interviewing him for? Was it Cobra Kai? No, it was way before Cobra Cuy. I mean, it's like 2018, 2019. So you should send them that clip.
Starting point is 00:10:01 100%. Yeah. I can't believe this. Well, listen, I want to hear more about the movie and all that stuff, then we'll hear about your TV picks. But we can talk about real quick, and this is for the audience. So right now, I'm going to do a quick spoiler on the Severance finale. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I'm all caught up. I know. I didn't put it on my list because I was like, have they already talked about this? I bet they have. None of death. I was waiting to talk to you about this one particular moment in the finale. I'm not going to spoil anything about the finale, except this one moment, which is not too big of a spoiler.
Starting point is 00:10:32 I loved the whole season. And you know that episode that I told you that I was like, because DJ had pumped it up so much, I was like, yeah, it's fine. I actually, because of this episode, I like that episode so much more because it actually makes a lot more sense. Sometimes it does one-off episodes and it just is a one-off and it doesn't have any. Even that episode right afterwards with Patricia Arquette was such, was so needed. Yeah. It makes sense. There's a brilliant season.
Starting point is 00:10:59 I thought it was a brilliant season finale. I had one problem, Roxy. Do you want to guess what the problem was? I had one issue. Is it a technical thing or it's a script thing? It's a script thing. Yeah, it's a script thing. Do you think he should have gone?
Starting point is 00:11:17 No. That's too much, spoilery. I thought you just said we were spoiling. This part, marching band. What's your issue with the marching band? I love the fact that he brought, this is what people don't understand yesterday. I love the fact that they brought the marching.
Starting point is 00:11:34 band in for a celebration. It was great. I love the fact that he was doing a dance. I love that. Milchuk? Yes. Why are they still? This is the guy, their boss, their boss brought them in to do the band. Their boss. The band
Starting point is 00:11:50 sees him get thrown into the bathroom and these people holding it and yet they're still just playing the band music. And they're not like, hey, our boss is in there. He's going to be mad. They're just playing music. Why? They weren't hypnotized. 8,000 reasons.
Starting point is 00:12:05 They're all being watched still. He's not the big boss. They have a job that they're supposed to be doing. And they don't want to get him out because they, I think, I don't buy that answer. I think eventually they turn on him because of the speech. Have you looked down the pipe?
Starting point is 00:12:23 They're just going like this. They're just dancing. Like, they don't even notice this. That's their job. They're severed. But they still notice things. The severed people notice things. But this is their job.
Starting point is 00:12:36 This is the purpose of what they're supposed to be doing. I guess. I just, I was, I was, I was bothered by that. But that, it was so small. It was a great finale. Also, there's a lot of stuff we don't know, like how we see Gemma in every room. And she's made to be in those rooms. Are these people made to be in the band?
Starting point is 00:12:56 Maybe. I don't know. I just wonder that do not stop playing under no circumstances. Maybe I don't know. Maybe that should have been said. Anyway, we have stuff to talk about. Let's get to CinemaCon.
Starting point is 00:13:08 Okay? So we're going to do this, guys. Check this out. You want to see some happy stuff? I don't even know what that means. I don't know what happy stuff means. I guess this is happy. This is happy.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Look at this. Oh, yeah. CinemaCon recap, all in red. Like that? It's all Luke, the producer. I had nothing to do with it. I'm so used to yellow for you that the red is kind of popping. That's Luke.
Starting point is 00:13:29 It's all Luke. Okay. Let's start with this. Is the R and recap for Roxy? Yes. So let's get to the Cinemicon recap. We're going to start with Sony, because that's who we started with at CinemaCon.
Starting point is 00:13:43 And Sony teases, Beatles. What? No, it was a cough. Evil Jumandi, three and more. What did Sony do? I'm going to tell you what Sony's in. Sony held its big cinema con presentation in Las Vegas, much of the talk,
Starting point is 00:14:03 swirling around the fourth Spider-Man title, beyond the Spider-verse, the release date and the teased 28 years later trailer. However, some of their teas about their upcoming films were also revealed. Here's a breakdown of what else was shown or discussed. The Beatles. Sam Mendes' four biopics about the Beatles has officially announced its cast.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Harris Dickinson is playing John Lennon. Paul Meskell is Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn, George Harrison, and Barry Keoghant, as Ringo Star. In addition, Sony is reportedly set to release all four films in cinemas in April 28. The release strategy is being dubbed the first bingeable theater theatrical experience. Hey now. Resident Evil. Filmmaker Zach Craigor was on hand to say his new Resident Evil film will follow the mold that many of the games follow, but the films have shielded away from, from in favor of ensembles.
Starting point is 00:15:02 namely there is only one main protagonist alone in the film will follow them on a journey that slowly becomes more and more hellish that fits in with a rumored synopsis from the other week in which a courier tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital finds himself caught in the middle of an outbreak and must fight to survive that film opens in september twenty twenty six caught stealing dubbed snatch meets baby driver by scooper jeff schneider The new action comedy crime caper from Darren Aronovsky sees Dune and Elvis actor Austin Butler in his underwear line as he looks after the New York apartment of a Mohawk character played by Matt Smith. Everything about that sounds incredible. That whole thing. During the house said a number of crime families
Starting point is 00:15:49 come looking for the apartment's owner, including Bad Bunny as a mob leader. The film is dubbed a love letter to the city and reaction seems to be that the movie looked like a lot of fun with car chase of fights and films of comedy. Grand Gear. Godzilla minus one, Tashi Yamazaki, has set his first English-language film at Sony titled Grand Gear. The project will be produced by J.J. Abrams, but plot specifics and Katzen are underwrapped. Jamonji 3. Jake Kazin confirmed to be returning as director for the third of the recent Jumaji movies following Welcome to the Jungle and the next level.
Starting point is 00:16:23 In addition, Sony is confirmed to December 11th, 2026 release date for the film. I know what you did last summer. A trailer sees Madeline Klein enjoying a bath with a blood red bath bomb, while unknowingly her boyfriend downstairs is killed by a hook-handed killer. Pretty Prince Jr. is seen in the town hall meeting, indicating their town has seen violence before, and one scene sees Jennifer Love Dewitt asking a character what they did last summer. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Release dates, Sony confirmed that last week's report that the legend of Zelda film will open March 26th, 2027, while they also confirm a sixth insidious film arrives August 21st, 2026. Finally, the Chainsaw Man movie is coming exclusively to the theaters October 2nd. Roxy, that is a lot. There's a lot. And it's a lot of really cool, I don't want to say that they're not tent pole, but not like... Movies, big movies.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Yeah, they're big movies, but they're not the typical movies that were. we're talking about all the time on this channel, which is really cool. Like I, I love talking about movies that don't, aren't superhero related. And I love talking about movies that are, but a lot of cool things for movie lovers, which is great. Well, I think the Aronovsky one is interesting, right? Like, Osseville, I've heard the caught stealing, I believe. If it wasn't on my most anticipated, it certainly was in my,
Starting point is 00:17:52 my honorable mentions, right? I love the cast. love Aronowski, love what the premise of it in general, love the mashup of what it could be. That, to me, could be a really interesting movie. So I'm glad that the audience felt it was fun whatever they showed it to. The other thing was what's ambitious,
Starting point is 00:18:15 and I'm curious what you think, you're such a big movie music fan in general. That's ambitious. What did you say? Calling it the first bingeable theatrical experience? Because they're putting all four of the movies in the same month. And I write that it's 2028. I think it's earlier than that.
Starting point is 00:18:34 Let me maybe you're right. But let me go back and look at what it was. And I think each one right now on IMDB, they're all listed as the untitled Ringo Star biopic, the untitled John Lennett, you know, so each one sounds like it's kind of going to focus a little bit more on one of the four. I wonder what time. Yeah, yeah, you're right. 2020, 28.
Starting point is 00:18:55 It's a long time from now. I wonder what time period they're covering. I don't know Harris Dickinson well. I don't know if you know Harris Dickinson well, but other than him who's playing John Lennon, Paul Mesco, Barry Keegan, and Joseph Quinn are three of the biggest stars that are working right now. Harris Dickinson is poised to be one of the big ones.
Starting point is 00:19:18 So he was just in Baby Girl. Which I didn't see. Right. And he's also, did you see the Iron Claw? I did not. Okay. He was great in the Iron Claw. I'm not saying he's not I know
Starting point is 00:19:28 I know I'm just not as aware of him but it's just it's really crazy casting but you got these aren't coming till 2028 and you've locked down some of the biggest
Starting point is 00:19:40 what are like men in their early 30s that are working right now you know this is like their prime time what they're going to be doing for four pictures for the next several years
Starting point is 00:19:51 really interesting well is it several years though I don't think it is because it comes out It comes out. I mean, you're saying from when they shoot it, because I think they're releasing them all in the same month. Several years for shooting them. They're shooting four movies. Right. So they're shooting four in general. So it's like, but the, and I might assume they're all in the same movies. And now come until 2028. It's 2025. I think they're definitely going to be working on this from now until then.
Starting point is 00:20:14 That's that, that's true because they're all, it's, it's really like one big movie cut into four pieces, really, right? Right. And you're just going to watch in the perspective of each person. But I thought that they were going to probably break it up by decade because like, but it sounds like by person. So I'm curious how they're going to do it. Yeah, really interesting. And obviously who isn't a big Beatles fan? I don't really know many people that are like, why are you Christian? You're not a Beatles guy? I'm not a massive Beatles guy, but it's not to say that I don't, A, that I wouldn't be interested in this.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Of course I would. B, I understand exactly why you would do this. And if there's any band that you could do this with, they're really. like the top one that you would do. If you're like if I told you, if I said, okay, we're going to do this ambitious thing about a band and we want to follow all four members, but we're going to have each one of them a movie, everyone is going to vote for the Beatles. Yeah, of course. Everyone. It's not, they're not my favorite band. I like, I'm more of a Stones, doors guy over, over the Beatles, but I know I'm so much. My dad, too. So because of how I grew up,
Starting point is 00:21:18 I, I didn't grow up listening to the Beatles constantly, but it's not like I'm sitting here saying, I'm the biggest Beatles fan, but I'm a Beatles fan by default of being a human being on the planet who like. Right. Yeah. Of course. And they were revolutionary and what they did for music. I mean, how could you not make a movie about it? Yes, about the music, but also, there's been a lot of crazy shit that's happened to the Beatles.
Starting point is 00:21:41 Of course. Yes. Yeah. This is, it is ambitious, but I like the risk. I like, and the fact of you and it was Sam Mendez. Yeah, how do you feel about the Sam Mendez aspect of it? Probably a big Beatles guy. I bet you, and the same man, this is awesome.
Starting point is 00:21:56 He's awesome. So I love this move. I love this move. I love this move. And I wonder how, like, as we always talk about with cost, I bet you this movie, movies, together cost about what the next Avengers movie is going to be by itself. You think? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:18 The next Avengers movies. You think that this is going to be a $300 million for movies? Yeah. But between, Avengers ain't going to be 300 million. That one with all those people. So what are you saying? That's going to be close to 400, but like, I think it's like 450. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:37 The next Avengers budget is going to be. When you see that cash, you're like, okay, that tracks. I think that if all of these collected are like 350, 400, 350 to 400, 350 to 400, I'm going to say, okay, let's take a shot. But it could be a huge bust if they don't deliver, but I don't see this failing. have you been watching all the Beatles movie like the get back have you been watching like I said I'm not just I'm just not a massive Beatles guy but like I tuned in and saw what they did and I think that it's great that all that footage that no one ever saw that was on
Starting point is 00:23:09 that was great I mean that's like I have nothing but respect for the Beatles it was only one of these oh Beatles overrated of course they're not overrated they're amazing they're one of the if not the best band of all time just just didn't pop for me the way my wife and I have this conversation all the time she loves the Beatles and I and I always kind of break her chops a little bit like stones are better but you know it's like she's like they were the Beatles revolutionized music and they were the first one. The songs are true rock and roll and Beatles are pop band so it's like completely different comparison but let me ask you about the casting despite regardless of me saying that they're a huge star
Starting point is 00:23:40 as we know how do you feel about the casting because whether you're the biggest diehard beetle's sin or not we all very clearly have images in our head of these four stars um do you like this casting you feel like it's spot on you feel like it's a little uh I just have people who are known. I don't like this cast. I love this cast. Oh, good. Love this casting. I think these are four. These are four, as you said before, like, you know three of them. I know four of them. They're all huge stars. I'm a fan of every one of these actors, every one of them.
Starting point is 00:24:12 And I think that they all can pull it off. So that's the Beatles movie. Then as they move on, as we talked about Resident Evil, okay. The fact that it's coming out in September, great. that's a good time for that movie to come out. I'd like to see it be a little bit more true to the original game. I remember being scared on my mind the first time I played that game. I thought it was pretty interesting. We talked about caught stealing. Grand Gear, I'm so curious about because not only produced with JJ Abrams,
Starting point is 00:24:40 as you know, Roxy, Godzilla minus one was my favorite movie of that year. I still haven't seen it. Oh, my God. It's so good. It's so good. So I'm very excited to see what Yamazaki is going to do. And then the other two things to really discuss here. I mean, well, I guess Legends of Zelda, that's going to be a massive movie.
Starting point is 00:24:59 So that makes sense that they are leading into that. The two, that they are going, big IP, obviously, as you mentioned, but different movies. I know what you did last summer. I never saw the original of that either. Have you? I told Greg, I got to watch that first. You know what's funny when I realized, Roxy? There's a new final destination coming out.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Yeah. I just did a reaction with Tina on Final Destination One. I have seen bits and pieces. I had never seen the full movie. I did those for us, too. You did? Okay. And then so Tina, when I, I didn't tell Tina because I figured she'd watch them. She's like, I've never seen this.
Starting point is 00:25:35 So we are going to watch all the final destination. Oh, I just did them, Christian. They're so great. They're so great. Yeah. So the only one that I've actually seen was the fifth one. And I saw it with Ellis. It was the last one apparently that they did in 2011.
Starting point is 00:25:51 And I talked about this. It was the first. and last time we both walked out of ending on yeah we get it we get let's just go shoot the review and we missed a big twist of what happens at the end we said we can't do that anymore and that was that was us learning in 2011 did you see all the purge movies i didn't see all of them i don't think i've seen a lot of the grilla ones wow wow of them no but most of them most of them i don't think i i call it we call him purged daddy oh wasn't even hawk in the first one wasn't he um wow it's been a minute now since i saw the first purge movie. You guys let us know in the chat.
Starting point is 00:26:27 I think Ethan Hawk was in the first movie. Because if Ethan Hawk was in the first movie, that's the one I saw. If he's not in it, then I saw it. In the house, right? So I guess it might have been. Maybe. The audience, yes, the audience as he was. So that's the only one I've seen. I saw the one with Ethan Hawk.
Starting point is 00:26:44 I also thought, do I remember him being in it? Yes, very clearly. Okay, there you go. He's the dad? Is that the one with the dad? It's a couple and they... Yeah, I believe so. The kid? Okay. So there's more cinema con stuff,
Starting point is 00:26:56 The Rock's huge stuff. As we talked about literally the whole topic that we're going to be talking about here is the Spider-Man stuff. And we'll get to it in just a moment. I got to tell people that we have some sponsors that you need to know about. You're going to like it.

If you want to help the show out, much appreciated. Roxy got Roka was on yesterday, I think he had 93. Okay, that's what I wanted to ask you about at the beginning, but you said I wasn't allowed to ask me more questions. Yeah, you can ask more questions. Is this a fever dream or did this happen?
Starting point is 00:29:54 Did you text me that somebody got like 400 and 80? 400 me and Winston for that five and a half hour stream. Oh, wait, so what was the deal with the five and a half hour stream? Did you know you were doing that or did it just keep going? No, no. Luke told me that there was a Marvel story that was dropping. There was Marvel news that was coming. And I said, okay, wonder what it is.
Starting point is 00:30:20 and then they're like he's like here's the link for what they're doing and there was like a there was I was like you know what we should probably just live stream this and they'll probably do it it'll be in half an hour they'll probably do something and like they different fantastic four and then you were just watching the chairs the whole time and so I started in the front of Chris Hemsworth was the first one and we're like oh so maybe it's the floor announcement and then after every every 12 minutes after the first 12 minutes it was then Vanessa Kirby and I'm like what the hell And it was like, oh, then we started going to putting it together. But I was like, oh, if you do it every 12 minutes, we're going to be here because Snyder was on.
Starting point is 00:30:54 I had Snyder on the phone. I mean, Campy had joined on the phone. I had Hoyt jumped in on, you know, on face. He joined. Oh, that's so fun. So we were like, well, what's happening? You know, and Snyder was like, it's going to be like 50 names, something along those lines. Like, oh, my God, we're going to be here until like 10 at night.
Starting point is 00:31:12 So I was like, there's no way because I had a screening that night. It's like there's no world where I'm going to be here the whole entire time. Plus I had to go to the cleaners and all this stuff. Oh, no, I didn't have, I didn't have a screening. That was when my Jake Paul story happened. Can't tell you right now. I told it on Friday. It's too long a story.
Starting point is 00:31:26 You see cleaners or screening? Cleaners. I went to, I thought I was going to a screening, but I was actually going to this max event of Jake Paul and, and Logan Paul show that my Andrew Freed produced. And I told my Jake Paul story on capes and cow, so I can't tell it to here again. But anyway, but,
Starting point is 00:31:47 I had to go to the cleaners. I did do all this stuff. And I was like, I have to, there's no way I can do this stream. So somebody in the comments is like, why don't you just ask Winston or Coy to take over while, you know, you do your stuff? Because Sam was coming in to do reaction also.
Starting point is 00:32:01 That was the other thing. So Winston was available and Winston came in and held down the fort for like two hours by himself. And then when I got back from the cleaners, I jumped it in and did as much like it. And then they actually went to the last one when Downey comes out. And that was it. So we did five and a half hours of,
Starting point is 00:32:17 Why did you for the channel? Over 110,000 views. It was crazy. It was crazy. I had no idea. Apparently they're going to do another one. There was this morning in April Fool's. I think Ryan Reynolds did it posting like all the,
Starting point is 00:32:34 it was like Dune, the sandworm. The first few seemed real. So that makes sense. All right. So the other stuff, and as we talked about, Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse, Everyone was talking about this movie.
Starting point is 00:32:48 What's happening with this movie? There's a question the other day. What are we going to get first? It's going to be this, Batman, Blade, what happens? Blade looks like it was canceled. We still don't know what's happening with the Batman, but we do have news, Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse. There's a trailer description apparently revealed
Starting point is 00:33:02 as filmmakers share news story details. Following the news that Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse will arrive in theaters on June 4th, 2027. So that's two years from now. We have a few additional details from the filmmakers belonging the long overdue Marvel three sequel. Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse was originally set to be
Starting point is 00:33:21 released in theaters last year. Unfortunately, what looked like a one-year wait for the resolution to that big Spider-Man across the Spider-Verous Cliffhanger will now be resolved after four years on June 4th, 2027. First look at the movie has been revealed. You can check out the stills below if you missed them last night, but those attending Cinemicon were fortunate
Starting point is 00:33:39 to see a brief teaser trailer. Variety described it and said, in the footage, which again, showcase the franchise's bold stylized animation. Miles Morales declares that he's doing things his way after everyone lamenting that everyone has been telling him how his own story is supposed to go. When Stacey and other spider friends also make an appearance in the brief teaser, which hasn't been released to the public.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Phil Lord told attendees that when Spider-Man beyond the Spider-Verse begins, Miles Morales is a fugitive on the run from every other spider hero in the Spider-verse, and he teased Gwen and his other friends may or may not be enough to help save the family that has been the leading part of the entire system. The filmmaker team of Phil Lord and co-directors Bob Percietti and Justin K. Thompson also addressed a release date delay by saying we know how important this franchise is to so many people around us. We could not just run it back, so we decided we need to take this time to make sure we got it just right. Lord added, it's going to be a massive finale to the trilogy and said that Spider-Man, beyond the Spider-Verus is meant for the biggest screens. We are prepping this movie, especially for your large format.
Starting point is 00:34:44 screens. It looks insane. In January, Miles G. Morales, voice actor, Jarel Jerome was asked whether he's begun production of the sequel and replied, no, I wish. We haven't started up yet. A lot of things being figured out, but good things. There was once rumbling is about a female let's spin off revolving around characters like Spider-Roman and Spider-Gren. Working on that has also likely stalled as Sony looks to prioritize getting Spider-Man beyond the Spider-verse into theaters. It's not a bad thing for Sony to take its time, but the movie to ensure the trilogy ends on the best note possible. We've no down. Many of you will remember the issue Spider-Man across the Spider-verse reportedly faced behind the scenes.
Starting point is 00:35:18 This is some of the imagery there. Like a lot of the stuff that we'd seen before. It's so funny, Rex, because this is so fresh to me right now because, like, Sam and I just did the both into and across-the-spider-verse reaction. Oh, really? Yeah, and I had only seen across the Spider-Verse once. Yeah, I've only seen across once also. Sam had never seen either one.
Starting point is 00:35:39 And her reaction at the end of a cross was like everyone else, like, wait, what? wait, when's the next one? Can we watch the next one now? It's like, no, you've got to wait for like another three years like the rest of us. What screen are you watching on? What are we watching? We're on a pretty big TV. Pretty big TV.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Yeah, I'm looking at you on a big TV right now. How big? I think it's like, what is this one? This one's 70. Oh, big. Yeah. Yeah. So, uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Yeah, so I, that's, was she more into the first one than the second one or? More into the first one. She liked. And upon rewatcher, are you? definitely more into the first one than the second one. Yeah, I always felt that way when I saw. There's a lot of the second one that I like a lot. A lot of really good moments in the second one.
Starting point is 00:36:21 It gets a little convoluted with all the multi-spiderman at some points. And then obviously it's the crux of what the whole story is. So it's important. But there's really some big emotional moments at work. The ending is fantastic. And the ending locked her back into it too. So because she felt the same way. She was just kind of like, she was, there was time she was, she loved.
Starting point is 00:36:43 the first one. I mean, she loved the first one. Yeah, I mean, it's one of the greatest ever. It's a lot, the first one I feel like is some, a lot of people's favorite Spider-Man movie ever. It's up there. It's up there. It's not my favorite Spider-Man movie ever, but I know, I know people who just, that that's what they live and die by. And I, and it is great. Christian, can I ask you, are, what's the number we're trying to be today? 93. Are we at 16? Yes. I've been gone for a month.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Yeah, I don't know. They did or didn't miss me? Well, I don't think Crystal's here. That's part one. Because she didn't know I was here? Maybe. I don't know. But nonetheless, it's okay.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Look, Roko only had like 30 something going into the question around yesterday, so we'll see. Very interesting. Hey, listen, go back to your point. What were you saying? I wasn't saying anything. Oh, okay. But I just think people like the first movie as their first movie as their first. favorite. Like, that's how much people love that movie.
Starting point is 00:37:45 But you know what's good, though, about this story is they finally gave us a date. And they said, the date is, um, 20, 27 or whatever the hell of this. Here it is. Here's a little teaser trailer. It's coming as opposed to, like I said, the other day, someone asked what's going to happen on the, um, yeah, what Batman blade or this? It's, it can't be lumped into that anymore because now there's a definitive plan. There's a trailer. There's everything else, too. You can't. can't put this in there anymore. Now we know when we're getting this. So does this make you feel more at ease? About this movie? Yes. Yes. Because there was a teaser. If there was no teaser, then I would be like,
Starting point is 00:38:25 and if it wasn't announced at an actual, you know, event, because if you don't have this come out now at 2027, that's major problems. And that's that's egg on crazy. You think they knew that they had to show footage because of the tumultuous. Yeah. They needed to show people like, we got, we got, we got, It's coming. Don't worry. We know it. And he almost made a statement like that too. Don't worry. We had to know. Anybody saw it? What? Do I mean, I assume Snyder saw it. I assume so. I mean, the worst person to ask about this because these are not his types of movies. But I mean, I think Jermaine was there. I haven't really talked to anybody. I don't know. I don't, I don't know. Like I watched.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Who Jermaine? Germain. Germain and Lucia? You know him? No. So I don't know. So he's, he's probably, you've probably, you know a small down person? No. you know, I could never get him in the Shmowdown. He always, he never, he was, never wanted to do it. But I, he would, I think you would have been decent. But either way. Um, oh yeah, can't be on Koi there. Thank you. Koi's the perfect person for us to ask about if he saw it.
Starting point is 00:39:31 Should we text them? Yeah. Well, I just want to know from anybody who saw it. Boy, Jandro. What do you want to say? Yo, comment, did you see the new Spider-Verse trailer question mark? We are live right now. So I just wanted to say. see your thoughts if you did period if you can't talk that's fine anything you can put in text of what you thought about it we'll see if you're raised that might be busy maybe some stuff going on so i don't know um more spider man news though sony wasn't done there rocks and
Starting point is 00:40:04 again you talk about another movie that they're like hey people want this movie spider man four there's a new title now and they started shooting they're going to start shooting this summer which is right around the corner and promises a brand brand new day for Peter Parker. New Day! That's from WWE, Roxy. Yeah, I got it. As Sony Pictures wraps up their
Starting point is 00:40:27 Cinemicon presentation, they've revealed the official title for Tom Holland's next big screen adventure as your friendly neighborhood wall crawler and its start date. To wrap up their cinema con presentation, Sony Pictures brought out director Destin Daniel Cretton to share a small but important
Starting point is 00:40:43 update about his next major motion picture, which of course is Spider-Rend 4. and aided by a video message from Tom Holland that announced the official title for the next installment was Spider-Man Brand New Day. No plot details were revealed, but the director did share that the team is very deep into production and are scheduled to start filming this summer. Cretton tells the cinema con audience every day right now. I'm exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of incredible artists of the world, how to swing, how to create an emotional story, and a ride we haven't seen before. Brand new day, of course, references the 2008
Starting point is 00:41:16 comic storyline that saw Peter Parker's life reset, his secret identity restored, and his marriage to marry Jane erased from history. Outside of the marriage, this is pretty much exactly where Hollins Parker finds himself after the events of No Way Home, so the title is fitting, but we'll have to wait and see where it goes from here. In addition to Holland, the currently confirmed cast is in Zendaya and Sadie Singh. Cretton will be in the director's chair with a screenplay from No Way Home Scribes, Eric Summers, and Chris McKenna. Kevin Feigy is producing alongside Sony pictures. So let's see this.
Starting point is 00:41:49 Is this open up? Yep. Spider-Man New Day explained where the Spider-Man 4 title comes from. What it means for the FCU? We just kind of said that. But for a long-time comic book fans, that's subtle. That subtitle has a lot of meaning and takes us back to 2008 for a two-year period of storytelling that completely changed Parker's world in the wake of the hugely controversial one more day.
Starting point is 00:42:09 It was a brand-new day for Spider-Man and his life hasn't been the same since in this feature, you're bringing up to speed with everything you know, okay, this is how it started. If you want to do a full breakdown, you can go on comic book, but they're just kind of breaking down the entire title and kind of what it means. I mean, I guess we can kind of cover that on capes and cows on Friday, but you like this title, rocks? Yeah, I think it's really cute. Yeah, what do you think it's going to happen to Spidey in this one?
Starting point is 00:42:33 It's a brand new day, so none of us know what's going to happen to Spidey in this one. Is there going to be new love interests, or are we going to get back what we had before? You know, I think that the possibilities are open and endless, which is why it's really cool and exciting for fans going into this fourth one. And I am expecting us to hit new beats. And there's also a lot of new people on our bingo cards. So you'll be fun to see who, I doubt we're not going to get some cool cameo or some fun thing, which I always love. I think so too.
Starting point is 00:43:06 Well, the other thing too that we've been talking about endlessly on the show is that this will be the first movie after Doomsday hits. So I think New Day also plays into that. Yes, a new day plays into what the events and what happened to him in no way home. But it's got to continue on. If Doom comes in and does all this damage to the universe that we already know, it's got to have an effect on Spider-Man as well. Of course.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Yeah. As a lover, love ship or ship ships, my, the things that I always really connect to, of or the romance angles. What do you think is going to happen here with Spitey's love life? Well, I'm very curious to what Sadie Sinks' role is going to be. I am convinced she is not going to play Mary Jane despite reports. Do you have a theory? There's a role that people keep talking about that she'd be perfect for in the Spider-Rane universe.
Starting point is 00:44:06 I guess it was a Spidey love interest. I can't. They'll say it in the comment section. I'm not sure. but I would either bet on that or on Gene Gray on those two. I would because... And you think that they would introduce Gene Gray in Spider-Brand brand-new day? Potentially.
Starting point is 00:44:25 No, not Gwen Stacy. I don't know what Gwen Stacy is. She's not going to be Gwen. I think that there's a Firestar is the one that people kept talking about. Because Firestar can live on past just the one-off movie because I don't think you get Sadie sync and have her for one movie and say, thank you very much. Here's the paycheck. You hold on to her and you lock her in for as many movies as you can, whether it's Jean Grey or giving Firestar something else to do. So I think there's a, there's a chance that she's going to wind up doing
Starting point is 00:44:58 that. So either my bet right now, I would put my top bet would be Firestar with a close second Jean Grey and a 2% chance that she plays Mary Jane. What do you think about Zendaya? Things in day is very busy. And I also think that, you know, there's, I think that's true, look, they're great together. I think the storyline is run its course. I think that they did a great job with setting it up in the heartbreaking thing. And eventually you want to close out the trilogy where she finally remembers
Starting point is 00:45:29 that they wind up together at the end. Great, because they're obviously great together. So you want them together by the end? If they close out, whatever they're going to wind up closing out, and Tom Holland's last movie, yes. but for now, give me a little love interest. Yeah, let's see them with somebody else.
Starting point is 00:45:45 You know, just because they're together in real lives, I mean, shit. You know, it's like, you know, you're not, you can switch it up. And she's super busy and she's doing something. I mean, they're both in Odyssey together, which is also great. That movie is just becoming.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Huge. Oh, my God. Right now. That movie's going to make a billion dollars. Do you think? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I do.
Starting point is 00:46:06 That's a real number, you think? Yeah. I really did. If Oppenheimer did that? What did Oppenheimer do? Close to 900, if not a little higher than that. Unless it, I don't, did it hit a billion? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:46:20 I know for a fact, it hit nine. Now, whether or not hit a billion, I don't know. People can tell us in the comment section. But I, I think that, yeah, I think the Odyssey's going to make. It made 930, someone said, 930. Or they were just saying the time where they are right now. Right, 930 in that, in that time period. All right.
Starting point is 00:46:41 So let's let's see if there's anything else here that is a big topic before we get into TV. No. You do this. Oh, I don't know. There's some Sydney Sweeney news and everything too. What is it? Oh, the personal news? No, there's a, there's a new movie.
Starting point is 00:47:00 I guess Stein. Her wedding is being called off right now, Christian. It is intense. What's her wedding with? What? I don't pay attention to this. I don't even know who she. Do it? Well, she's dating or not.
Starting point is 00:47:11 And you don't know. What? He's a man you don't know. He's a producer. Oh, okay. So how the hell would I know that? Because it's all over the place that the wedding is on hold and they haven't split, but things are rocky and it's just tough right now, Christian, out here for a Sydney Sweeney.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Okay. It's hard out here for a pamp. Yes, that is what I said. I know that's not what I need. That's what I need. That's what I need. Where is it? I think I got it.
Starting point is 00:47:40 What's the Sydney Sweeney news? I'm looking for it, Rocks. That's what I'm looking for. You know, you knew there was news, but you have no idea what it is. I'm trying to bring up the story, girl. Hold on. I got it. You ready for this?
Starting point is 00:47:50 Yeah. Sydney Sweeney is in talks for Gundam style. Oh, no, Gundam. So. That's Ganga. Yeah, no. Sydney Sweeney is in negotiations to start in the live action, adaptation of the iconic Japanese anime.
Starting point is 00:48:09 and toy franchise Gundam movie currently in the works at legendary and brandy name coat filmwell. Details as to Sweeney's Roller under wraps. The project was first announced in 2018 with director Jordan Bart Roberts, Jim Mickle, and we are what we are and Sweet Tooth took over for director last year. Let's see. Those living in colonies seek their autonomy and launch a war of independence with battles fought by piloting robots known as mobile suits, a major anime milestone. The franchise spans 833.
Starting point is 00:48:39 reanimated series in movies while its toys generate over 600 million annually. Okay, Susweeney is in high demand right now. It was recently working on Apple TV series Echo Valley, house made, and yada, yada, yada. Okay. I bet Gundam fans are stoked right now. Unfortunately, I don't know much about this property.
Starting point is 00:48:58 Same. But I bet the fans are like living for this because it sounds cool. We just had this whole conversation yesterday. So you watched Euphoria. You have a, you have an, idea of her acting chops you watch that movie with her and um glen powell i have no reference minus madam web right which is not fair because i was going to ask you do you think she is like the biggest female star on the planet right now and you don't i've seen all those things no um
Starting point is 00:49:27 no i just don't and um i i feel like margher qualey's more talented than her but i haven't had enough Margaret Colley is, like, to me, the most talented working actress. It's hard to compare the two of them because they play such different roles, but from leftovers on, I've always, my eyes have been on Margaret for sure. It's a movie star. I mean, I don't know yet. I don't know yet. Because she is the next Margot Robbie right now.
Starting point is 00:49:56 It's so hard. I want, everything in my being wants to tell you that you're crazy, but I can't, that would be an ignorant thing for me to say because I don't have enough reference. you know what I mean? Like I don't, like I said, I think she's an attractive woman, but I don't find her attractive. Does that make sense? She's not like my type. I don't mean to say this to anybody who does find her attractive because, of course, I understand, but she's also just, she's very young. So, like, I'm sure that there's probably one of the reasons. There's not that many people in their 20s that you're going Gaga over.
Starting point is 00:50:25 Not really. Not really. I get it. And sometimes I do look, well, of course, she has definitely the bod of a woman. Her face, she's got a little kid face. How old is she? Um, 20, 27, maybe? Let me see. Yeah. But the reason that I feel like she's so young, it seems with Zendaya, same with all of them. Yes, she is 27.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Right. Is that I watch them in a high school show. That's what, that's what euphoria is. It's my, it's a high school show. Right. So they always play kind of young to you. Yeah, but then, you know, Jacob Allorty then has kind of broken out of that a little bit. But still, he sometimes just looks very.
Starting point is 00:51:05 young. I think he is a little older than that. Yeah, I understand because 27 really isn't like traditionally that young, but I understand what you're saying. I know what you mean, because they play is to you because that's how you know them from that show. Yeah. Yeah. I understand that. And also, I understand where you're coming from when you're, where you're like, that's just not really
Starting point is 00:51:23 like, that's not how you're thinking of her. Everyone looks at this complete bombshell. Like, Margot Robbie to me, bombshell. Like, just bombshell. I don't see Sidney that way. But. I think she's, is very much so going to step right into that Margarabi role. I think she's probably very interested in producing. I think she is going to follow the exact footsteps of Margarabi and she should. Yeah, I think that I think she's really, really great. She also seems like a lot of fun. People love
Starting point is 00:51:54 working with her and like to work with her a second time. So I think that's huge. So this movie in general, you know, like you said before, I don't have enough reference on this property, but if they can make it work, they make it work. I think that's it. I think that's it for the movie news, but we've got some TV stuff, and that's what Roxy does here. And Roxy, you're going to love, I mean, you already love our producer, Luke, for this great Cinemacon recap thing that he did, but he did something like today because I was on my way back to the office, and I was like, oh, man, I didn't get a chance to pull pictures.
Starting point is 00:52:32 and I asked Luke if he could pull the pictures for the TV stuff. And not only did they pull the pictures, check this out, Roxy. What do you do? Look at that bottom right. Oh, that's so, Luke. Okay. I had this conversation with Roca. I have no idea what this show is, except I've heard about it, and people say it's good.
Starting point is 00:52:49 Oh, Christian, you don't know what this is. Now I do, because Roka told me about it yesterday. Okay, so this is like must want, if you're a TV fan, this is maybe the first no second after severance must watch show of the year in terms of this kind of reminds me of baby reindeer not by topic at all
Starting point is 00:53:14 but just in the way that people were talking about baby reindeer after like oh I've never seen anything like that and oh my god my mind is blown the reason this show is so unbelievably mind blowing is that every episode is a one shot I'm sure Roka told you about that so it's four episodes four parts
Starting point is 00:53:31 about this young boy who's been accused of murder. Yes, you tell me that. And every episode is one follow shot, but we do not stay in the same location. We go miles apart. And we watch the camera work on this is the craziest thing I've ever seen. And they aren't doing any trickery. They're really one shots.
Starting point is 00:53:55 They shot each episode they shot eight times. And the entire way through. and then picked the best. This young boy is phenomenal. The performances on this are amazing. The show really lets things breathe. It's very suspenseful. It's really upsetting, but it is just unreal.
Starting point is 00:54:15 So well done. It's so well done. You're missing one here that I'm surprised you didn't put on here. What? 1923. Oh, I told you I don't put the same things every week. And I've already talked about that show. These are the ones since I've seen you.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Come on. We're getting close to the end there. I know. And for sure, I always put for the penultimate or the finale. You think season two is better than season one? I do. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:54:43 But I'm one episode behind. Do I think it's better than season one? I think they're both really, really strong seasons. Me too. I think people think that this season is better, though. A lot of people, this is their favorite of his shows now. It's great. I love it.
Starting point is 00:54:57 And they sit down to know if three is even coming back. I don't know. Interesting. All right, next one. Did you watch the studio, Christian? Yes. Yeah, this is up your alley for sure. This is the Seth Rogen show.
Starting point is 00:55:10 This, except it has so many different stars on it. You know, Catherine Hahn, just so many people. And there's going to continue to be crazy gas stars, Martin Scorsese. It's a lot of fun. I feel like this is kind of gearing itself to be the new entourage. Yes, entourage meets curb, I thought. Yeah, totally. It's funny.
Starting point is 00:55:30 talk about a one shot. We saw a one shot on this one. That was funny. Yeah, but everything about this is just if you love shows about the industry. And also, you know, there's a lot of references like we saw the director in this most recent episode. A lot of people are like, is that Amy Pascal? Like, who is this based off of? Who is this based off of?
Starting point is 00:55:51 Seth Rogen said that there had been a lot of text messages to him. People pissed like, that's me. I know you did me. And it felt very active. period while being also extremely entertaining. Yeah, I absolutely love that. I thought it was, it's, it's my must watch show right now.
Starting point is 00:56:07 Yeah, it's so good. So good. We'll tell you another show. Well, we'll do that one last, but this, this one. Running point,
Starting point is 00:56:14 I watched this while, yeah. I watched this while I was in England because they, I couldn't watch anything on HBO. I couldn't watch anything on Hulu. I was like, what the hell am I going to watch? And on Netflix,
Starting point is 00:56:27 this came up, and I love her. And I was like, oh, okay, let me put this on. Then it ends up being like Justin Thoreau. The cast is sick. It's a really, really fun show about her taking over a basketball empire that's like similar
Starting point is 00:56:43 to the Lakers, but it's made up. And it's really like if you're just looking for something that is super fun and you can watch pretty easily, I binged this in I think like one and a half days. It was so quick and just a really, really good time. Hank is in this as well. And this was my favorite performance of his. He did a great job. Have you heard anything about this?
Starting point is 00:57:10 Do you like murder mystery shows, the residents? I can do with Adam. The star from Orange and the New Black is basically like Sherlock Holmes in this. And it's a really cool role for her. This takes place in the White House. The first episode, there is a murder in the White House. And she is going around trying to figure out. What's the name of the show?
Starting point is 00:57:32 I'm sorry. Say it again? What's the name of the show? It's called The Residence, and it is Shonda Rhyme's next show. So she did Grace Anatomy scandal, how to get away with murder. Shonda then went from having that ABC deal to now this is her Netflix deal. And this show has been, I'm watching it with my grandmother right now. We're having fun watching it together. I can't sit here and tell you guys, like, this is the greatest show I've ever seen, but it is, it's kind of like fun to talk through with somebody like, oh, what do you think
Starting point is 00:58:01 happening here. Oh, who's this? And there are a lot of cool set pieces of the White House. They, like, I don't know whether this is real or not, but the basement, we go into a lot. It's like there's a barber shop, a flower place. There's so many different places that are in their White House. It's very cool. Okay. Last one. I put Daredevil on the list because I haven't talked to you guys about Daredevil since the first episode, I don't think. And I'm really liking the show. I think that it's doing its job. I haven't heard many people talking about this that much.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Maybe that's because I was out of the country, but are people loving this like I am, or is it kind of mid for people? I love it, but a lot of people have been saying that they are bored with it or whatever. I love it. I feel like the buzz would have been more at this point. And I can tell you that,
Starting point is 00:58:54 so when we get off the air, I'm going to put my immediate reaction up for episode seven, and then I film my full reaction, which will be up once it drops, I really dig where the show is going so far. I think it's great. Yeah, I like this show a lot too. I think they're doing a great job with it, and it's exciting to be really into a superhero TV show right now.
Starting point is 00:59:15 It's been a minute, so. Yeah. Okay, well, that's Roxy's Picks. So make sure if you are not checking out Roxy's Picks and TV, you should because when she's on the show, which normally is every Tuesday, she does the TV picks. So make sure you check those out.
Starting point is 00:59:32 And thank you. Now, Roxie, I was going to go right to the questions. But again, producer Luke texted me and said, you've got to talk about that Tom Hardy story. It's related to the- There's a Tom Hardy-Hardy Venom story related to you. Oh, by the way, did you watch Mobland yet? No, I hear such good things.
Starting point is 00:59:48 Great. I hear such good things. I think I'm going to try to watch it tonight when I get home. Okay. Yeah. Christian, I am watching so much. You know, I try to do 10 shows a month to get hit. my 120 a year.
Starting point is 01:00:01 I'm at 34 shows so far. So I'm over my thing. I'm watching so much stuff right now. You got to do my money. I know. I'm going to. I'm going to because everybody wants. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Here's the story. So because Luke asked and Luke does so much for the channel. So Hardy and Venom,
Starting point is 01:00:21 um, sorry, Tom Hardy says that the Venom and Spitey crossover came very close. He says that the, here I go. The Sony Marvel universe appears to be over now following. Well, if you watched last week's show with me and I think it was Winston, I would probably told you that it was. That was unsurprisingly. Hold on to say. What's on the Sony Marvel?
Starting point is 01:00:43 What did you just trail off? Winston and I, I told you probably and then you started. Yeah, like the stupid ad started playing on the site. I brought up some old Sony story from 2020. Okay. Okay. So the Sony.
Starting point is 01:00:57 the Sony Marvel universe, aka the SPUMC, appears to be over for now, following a series of high profile flops like Madam Webb, Morbius, and Craven the Hunter. The only success Sony appears to have had with Marvel outside of the Spider-Man films
Starting point is 01:01:14 has been with Tom Hardy's Venom, which also came to an end with Venom's the last dance last year. Sadly, Hardy's Venom and Tom Holland Spider-Man never got to share a scene together. The closest we ever had was a post-credit Stinger scene in which Venom sees Holland Spider-Man Sands Mask and a news broadcast and proceeds to lick the screen, reaffirming
Starting point is 01:01:31 an affinity for a British man named Tom. However, according to Hardy, a meetup on screen did come close, incredibly close, in fact, out promoting his new TV series Mobland, which premiered on Paramount Plus last night. He was asked by the playlist discourse podcast of studio politics
Starting point is 01:01:47 played into why we didn't have a venom crossover with Spider-Rame. He said, I don't know how to answer that question. We got close. We got as close as I could possibly imagine getting apart from doing a film together, which I would have loved to have done because that just means so much fun. And for all the reasons that you explained ultimately in there, Hardy also spoke about why he wanted to see a team-up film
Starting point is 01:02:05 and says such a project would have thrilled younger audiences. He said, fundamentally for me, it would have been for the kids. Because, you know, as much as adults love superhero films and you can tell by the box office when they're successful, I think I'm constantly reminded by children how important these characters are, and they don't know why their favorite characters aren't in films together. Hardy also says that though they were given a set of boundaries, is he and the team behind the films were really privileged
Starting point is 01:02:28 to be able to play with a much beloved IP like Venom in a way that we were allowed to play. All three Venom films are now available on streaming. Mobland executive produced by Guy Ritchie will air weekly with 10 episodes wrapped on June 1st. If reviews have been mixed, I've seen the opposite. I've seen people loving this show. Have you seen mixed reviews on this show?
Starting point is 01:02:49 I've seen people loving this show, right? Yeah, I don't know. What the hell they're talking about? So I love these comments from Tom. hardy in so many different ways. First of all, that's the type, that's the kind of, that's the kind of PR you hope a star will, will give you where they say like, look, they don't, he goes, listen, uh, I know adults watch this stuff too. I get it. But kids really are like, watch this stuff and ask me where what's going on. They would like to see the team up. So I would, kids aren't going to be like,
Starting point is 01:03:18 yeah, the studios are in debate on who has the rights. But he, but by shying away from that, it clearly was again, as much as Marvel and Sony came to their agreements, they still don't see eye to eye on things. And that's why it didn't happen. They had their deal with Spider-Man and other deals, I just can't get to work. Yeah, I shout out to Luke for wanting us to talk about this. However, I don't really know what there is to talk about with this, Luke.
Starting point is 01:03:45 Like, bummer. Wish it did work out. Not surprised they got close. Of course, it was in conversation. it's kind of like a lack of a new story more just like, whant-want. Well, yeah, the fact that we just got that close in doing it, because there was all those reports that Venom and that that was the movie.
Starting point is 01:04:05 The movie was going to be those two. So I guess he just kind of validated that that's exactly what was going to happen. Yeah. But it also shows that they didn't really, Marvel didn't really have a plan and know what they were going to do. You know what I mean? Totally. Yeah, totally. Yeah, because now they have this plan.
Starting point is 01:04:21 And then there was yesterday the story that we covered Roxy was that the Kang script was leaked and how different it was. And now where they are today and to where they were when that script came out, I am very curious now. Doomsday is so important. Doomsday is as, I think, I think Doomsday is as important to Marvel as Superman is for D.C. Because. Do you think Fantastic Four is as important? No, because I was just going to say, it's important. It's important.
Starting point is 01:04:53 But if Fantastic 4 fails miserably, which I don't believe it will, like same thing, Thunderbolts, I think Thunderbolts is going to be good, but I don't know how well it's going to do. It's tracking opening weekend, I think it's like 70 or something like that, 60 or 70 for opening weekend. But if Thunderbolt's bombs, people will still go and see Fantastic 4, right? If Fantastic 4 bombs, people will still be curious about an Avengers movie. They'll still be curious about it. If the Avengers movie bombs and it's terrible, it's your number one person who's now tapping on just doesn't have the goods anymore.
Starting point is 01:05:27 And there's nothing else to do. And it's over. And you just have to focus on the X-Men and hope people still care. But if they can deliver on Fantastic Four, if they deliver it, all they need to do is deliver a quality movie with Thunderbolts, even if the box office is disappointing, because it might be. If it's a good movie and the people who see it, like it, and then Fantastic Four does well, monetary,
Starting point is 01:05:49 apparently and then does and people dig it and then doomsday hits marvel's going to be marvel's going to throw the crutches down what's that expression mean it just means they're they're kind of limping right now oh they drop their crutches because they're full watch they're healed they're healed i never heard that before i like that i made that shit up you like that yeah oh yeah girl where you go thanks go go the crutches down you don't need them anymore throw them down so so so there you go stretch now all right We're going to start now. You've got to beat Roca.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Roka had 90. I'm going to double check. I'm pretty sure it was 93. Let me confirm. It's a big number. Luke will tell me too. It was a good show yesterday. I hope Luke's not upset with me, Luke.
Starting point is 01:06:31 I don't mean that it's not a story that I understand why you want to just talk about it. You said you hate Luke. No. Oh, so I was wrong. He's at 96. 96. So you now, you need about, again, 66 to tie, 67 to win. So let's see.
Starting point is 01:06:54 We got a whole bunch. Oh, you thought it was 90-something. 90-6? Yeah, yeah. I said 93. So instead of 93, it was 96. Okay, here's the first one. Jim 1.
Starting point is 01:07:04 Do you think the public are, will the public, oh, do you think the public are willing to pay to see four Beatles movies in one month? Do you have the same appeal? Do they have the same appeal as larger than life stars like Elvis, MJ, and Queen? Do the Beatles? Yeah. Of course they do. I mean, not only do they, but Elvis, I understand where you're coming from with that question. MJ, I understand where you're coming at that question.
Starting point is 01:07:31 You're asking if Fetals have as much larger than life star power as queen? Well, I mean, maybe four movies, though, right? Like, I think the more fair question there is, does, will people go to see a Ringo movie in the same way they wanted to see a Freddie Mercury movie, right? Yeah. But I'm curious about will some people not see. all four like if each one is based on an individual is Ringo going to not do as well as Paul.
Starting point is 01:07:59 I mean, it's a great question. That's why what do you put out first? You know, do you put the lower guys out first? Do you put Ringo and, George Harrison out first? And in all fairness, I don't actually know that that's how they're breaking up. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:08:13 I don't either. How they're called on IMDB right now is the untitled Ringo, the untitled Paul. I think because he said, bingeable, I think you put them all in the theater in the same weekend. And then you can choose which ones you want to see. And if you like the, I don't know how they're going to be an order you're supposed to see them in, though, right?
Starting point is 01:08:28 I think you're right. But I don't know. I don't know. Mike Joyce, there's been some pretty cool images generated with chat GPT last latest update. Ever thought about making more stylized thumbnails? I amputized everyone? Nah, I mean, I like our thumbnails. I like what we're doing thumbnails.
Starting point is 01:08:43 I don't think we need to start going AI with them yet. And I like what we're doing. So you've never used AI, chat, GBT, for anything ever? And everybody's saying, like, the smartest people right now are making sure that they know how to do AI. And I'm sure that's true. But I just, it feels weird in my soul. I get it. Well, there's certain ways you can use it.
Starting point is 01:09:04 I get it. I get it. You know, my most successful, most talented friends are using it. I just haven't yet. That's fair. Lucas, nice to see the lovely Roxy back. It's great to have, Luke. Oh, pal.
Starting point is 01:09:20 Welcome back, Roxy. We had Roxy back. We had Brett back. We almost had Chris Carr back, but there's a flubble of Roosk. What happened? She thought I was talking West Coast time last week. She was already on the air on Campia show when we're supposed to go live. Sean McCabe, hey, Chris, what's up, Roxie? I'm digging the Spider-Man title. I like the Spider-Man title. I dig it. I like it, too. And I think it makes sense for everything that they're going to do. So, Christian, unpronounceable. When I saw the Spider-Man 4 announcement this morning, I assumed it was a hoax. I guess that's fair.
Starting point is 01:09:55 Any news, that's the one thing that they probably said when they did Cinemaccon. You know, a lot of the news we post that people aren't going to believe. I know. That's kind of tough. It would be weird for them to make something that big a hoax, though. Right. And that came out yesterday. So, Ewak, while I applaud Sony for their gutsy strategy of releasing all four
Starting point is 01:10:14 Beatle films in the same month, I have a failing general audience is probably flock to the Lennon film and skip the other three. I don't know if they're going to skip Paul. Yeah. I don't know if they're going to skip Paul. They might skip the other two, but the question again is, you know, with those other two actors. And maybe they may, look, I hate to say this, but maybe those two, maybe the Harrison and Ringo movies with the lower budget ones, you know, or maybe they, or maybe they just, they shot them all together. Or maybe because they're the less known about, I mean, not that they're not known about, but just like maybe, maybe.
Starting point is 01:10:47 If it's a better movie, I don't think we can possibly predict even what's going to happen. So interesting. It really is interesting. It's an interesting experiment. GoPal says, I like most of the stuff I watch, but I was noticing while watching Mobland, how much more enthralled I was than other shows. Great show. That's what I'm so curious what they were talking about. I know. I've only heard good things, too. I don't know what that was about. But it's so weird what version of the internet you're on, like all the time. I'm like, is this mixed reviews? Is this good or bad? It just depends on what.
Starting point is 01:11:17 version of the internet you're on? Sam texted me. She asked me if I was live with you and I said I wish you said, tell her that I love her and she looks fabulous as always. What Sam said? Wait, first of all, obsessed with her. Second of all, she didn't know if we were live but she thinks I looked good. I guess she saw the video and she said, are you actually live right now? Oh, oh, like as a poo tape. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so she loves you.
Starting point is 01:11:40 Okay, so there was another, there was another super chat, I guess, starting from Simon's section. It was in the very beginning. It said, part one you're watching the christian the k h show so i'm not sure if roxy like joss or chris may actually show up if not so happy for roxy did she try any of the british cuisine such as the spotty dicks which is steamed pudding or black pudding blood sausage and part two towed in a hole honestly i haven't tried that one but i bet it tastes better than a wally house crit christian have you checked out the studio where it's cool it yes i have absolutely i did not understand the first part of I'm going to be honest with you.
Starting point is 01:12:18 Neither did I. It said, part one, you're watching the Christian Harlov show, so I'm not sure if Roxy like Joss. Oh, Joss? I don't know who, who's Joss. I don't know who Joss is. Or Chris. Chris, I understand. Oh, he doesn't mean Josh? Josh McCougar. I see.
Starting point is 01:12:34 You're watching the Christian Arloff. I understand what he means. So he says, you're watching the Christian Arloff show, so I'm not sure if Roxy, like Josh McCugger or Chris may actually show up. Maybe there's the two times both of them were supposed to be on and they didn't show up. Oh. That's what happened.
Starting point is 01:12:48 So I don't think we're ever supposed to be here that I didn't show up. No, no, no. And Chris would have been here. It was just a mishap. So what about you, Rox? What did, do you try any of that stuff? I did try a lot of different restaurants. My main focus was getting Indian food in because the Indian food in Los Angeles is the worst ever.
Starting point is 01:13:09 And Indian food in London, there's no good Indian restaurants in L.A. And Indian food in London is the best ever. So, yeah, I definitely did a lot of Indian food to assume that everybody recommended that I tried was like the greatest Indian restaurant ever. But no, I didn't. And I also, I really wanted to try, what the fuck was it called? An English sausage? Something. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:13:35 It's like a ball. I didn't say it. I didn't say it. I didn't say it. I was going to say what his name was, but I didn't. I wasn't able to. But I did try a lot of great food. And I will put out some kind of like a blog about the places I think you should go because I had the greatest food.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Sounds good. Do you remember when we went to? Scotch egg. Yeah, that's what that shit was. People kept telling me to try a scotch egg, yes. And I didn't get to try that, which I'm bummed about. Do you remember that delicious steakhouse we went to in Atlanta? Yes.
Starting point is 01:14:06 Bones. Yes. Oh, my God. So good. So good. So good. Al Rensha. In Infinity War, Tony took off nanotech chestpiece and told Chris, next time you see him put this on. Any chance Evans puts that on to fight Dr. Doom?
Starting point is 01:14:21 Probably not. I think Chris Evans' big moments in the MCU or Dunsky. Are they going to try to, I think really Tom Hardy's going to be the one, not Tom Hardy, Tom Hardy, Tom Holland is going to be the one who is going to take front and center in secret wars. What do you think, Roxy, anything, opinion on that or not really? The question is, any chance? I guess there's a chance. I don't think it's a likely chance. Go pal, have you seen living in the material world?
Starting point is 01:14:45 Scraese's George Harrison biopic. I was a huge fan. No. I didn't know that existed. Me neither. Crosese made so, he's so, it's not fair because when you think of Scorsese, he's a very versatile filmmaker,
Starting point is 01:14:58 the stuff that he's made, he's made so much. But you think gangster movies because he's been so successful in him, but he's made some really big, I mean, you know, a movie was awesome. Silence. Silence. I didn't see it.
Starting point is 01:15:11 Oh, it was awesome. Do you want to see his Kool-Aid movie? I would watch anything as Chris as he does. I would like, make it. Yeah, anything he does. I remember watching Entourage and being like, yeah, I want to see that Aquaman. Yeah, I want to see it. Like, let's see it all.
Starting point is 01:15:28 Go Pal. Also, there was a movie called Stone about Brian Jones that I was a huge fan back when, back when, though I haven't seen it a long time. No, I've never seen that one either. Go-Pel is like, I'm going to hire Go-Pel. Yeah, Go-Pel's with shit. Bobby Jackson, with all the giant John Wick News this morning, do you think it's too much or you like to bring it on?
Starting point is 01:15:46 What's the John Wick News? It's a fantastic, fantastic question. I didn't see any John Wick News. Let me see. Let me go back to Dark Horizons and see if there's anything there. Fair question, Bobby. John Wick News. I don't see any John Wick News.
Starting point is 01:16:01 Let's see. I'll find. Let me guess what it is. I feel like there's probably, I don't know, Ballerina 2. Yeah, there is. No. There is a story here, and this Lionsgate is loading up on John Wick franchise. Sets the fifth movie with Keanu Reeves.
Starting point is 01:16:16 Chad Selesky is returning. John Wick isn't dead. He's so not dead. The Lionsgate is literally exploiting the franchise of Full Tilt with an animated version. A Donnie Yen directed, Kane character spin-off, and yes, John Wick, Chapter 5, with Kianner Reeves returning to star, franchise filmmaker, Chad Seleski, back to direct and produce and Thunder Road producers by Zaladwanick and Erica Lee returning to Juice. All of this went down at Lions Gates' beefy Cinemicon presentation this morning.
Starting point is 01:16:45 The most recent film in the franchise is John Wick, Chapter 4, took in over $440 million at the box office. The franchise as a whole has earned over a billion dollars at the global box office. And then you got Ballerina and all this. I think they should have waited to see how Ballerina did, but no, I don't. Right now, look, this has always been, what have you done for me lately business? it's just what it is. Lately, every movie, whether you like them or not, over the top or not, have made
Starting point is 01:17:14 a lot of money. And people are enjoying it. I like the fourth one. I think the fourth one is the most video game version. One is the best. One is the best. And I like that tone. They're not going to go back to that because there's no going back at this point. It's the same way that Cobra Kai couldn't go back to being grounded. They had to
Starting point is 01:17:30 go kind of really over the top. But yeah, I'm I'm a, I'm a bring it on. If you have the can't Reeves locked into it and you can do it as long as he can do it like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. Bring it on. Yeah, I kind of am with you on that. The animated stuff doesn't interest me,
Starting point is 01:17:46 but that's just me personally. Yeah. I saw in the chat, Mal said something about Hunger Games. Was there a Hunger Games announcement? Maybe the trailer. Maybe a new trailer because there's a new movie coming out soon. We'll check out.
Starting point is 01:18:03 Edward Collins is second. You and Tina should react to the monkeys, and similar to final destination with this rub gulberg style death the only reason we're doing final destinations because there's a new one coming out soon so i wanted to be all caught up on yeah makes sense yeah so that's that's why we're doing that so um i'm not sure if we're going to do any uh any more past like the the monkey or anything too i didn't really hear anything about i liked uh long legs though that would kind of tie it back as tina and i watched long legs she's like my my horror watching buddy um i found out that sadie had never seen
Starting point is 01:18:36 stepbrothers we're going to watch that feels like you should have known that well you know what i feel like it's one of the most quoted movies of all time yeah but it's not quoted by me you know why because i don't i've i've seen it once and i don't my god christian i don't remember it at all oh stepbrothers is the greatest i got to see i got to see it i remember i that i'm that i know i've watched it maybe once and and i think that i saw it with ellis what year did it come out you know I think I was in high school. Really? Hold on.
Starting point is 01:19:08 Let's see. I think it was probably like 2007. Stepbrothers release date. That's just my guess is 0-7. 2008. Close. Close. So no.
Starting point is 01:19:18 Ellis and I had not. Well, no, no, we were reviewing for, we were reviewing. But have we started at, we hadn't started on YouTube yet, but we were reviewing. Are you a fan of like super bad hangover? Yeah. Old school. Yeah. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 01:19:36 So we're going to be doing that one, Sadie and I probably going to record it tomorrow. Mike Joyce, probably too early. Stupid comedies. I mean, if you're including those. Yeah. Well, including, I mean, there's a lot of stupid comics. Include specifics and I'll tell you. Like in the 2000s.
Starting point is 01:19:52 I mean, I love wedding crashers. That's your favorite. I mean, yeah, and I like old school a lot for sure. I mean, there's a lot. I mean, hangover, the first one's really good as well. But so, but I do like that one a lot. Wedding Crushers. You motor boat and son of a.
Starting point is 01:20:05 pitch probably too early to ask this roxy but a scale of one to ten one being crossed and seven being always lola how big do you think your role is in this film that's a good question i like that question yeah wait can you keep it up yes so one to seven or one to ten um seven being always lola um my role is definitely bigger than my role in crossed and definitely smaller than my role and always Lola. So, three. Okay.
Starting point is 01:20:37 I have a, I have a, I think my role in this movie is a role that, you know, you wouldn't be like, oh, she is one of the biggest stars in this movie. But after the movie, if you're talking about the movie,
Starting point is 01:20:50 and you're like, oh, my friend Roxy's in it. And you said like, oh, which one is she? You know what I did. That's a great way. What a great way to describe this. I love that.
Starting point is 01:21:00 Yeah, and I will say that. And if you don't invite me as your plus one, I'm beautiful. You want to go to London? I asked them. I said, are we doing a London premiere? I hope so. Anything to give me back there, Christian. I love London.
Starting point is 01:21:12 You're like a pig and shit out there. Oh, my God. It was like the coolest thing. I mean, you're walking around. Mike, you were awesome and always, Lola. And I am eager to see you in a bigger role like that again. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:21:25 I appreciate that. Yeah, I would be very excited to do that, too. I think here's how it works. bigger movie for me where I'm at my career bigger movie smaller role smaller movie bigger role you know that's where I'm at currently Jake Christian you should check out demon slayer it's a great anime releasing the final arc as a film trilogy in theaters is so exciting to me which is the one my daughter made me watch a couple episodes I don't know demon slayers is on Netflix uh the one that this is not the one I see what they're this is not the one that
Starting point is 01:21:59 that my daughter had me watch, but I watched some show with her. That was good. I can't remember what the hell the name of it was. It was a good show. But anyway, this Demon Slayer, yeah, I don't know. I just never really could get into anime. It's nothing against anime.
Starting point is 01:22:14 I just never really got into it myself. But they- Anime is only for children. That's what I said. And he hates it. I know. If you mark it towards, if you mark it towards anybody else,
Starting point is 01:22:26 it means you hate animation. Yeah. Tom Hanks, adolescence is the show of the year so far wow it's very very good i don't think you can get away with being a tv fan and not watching it this year all right all right i'll have to check it out i'll have to check it out all right let's see stephan what's up stephan foroxy congrats in a film how was louis tan who you interviewed and forgot completely i interviewed um i'm i'm actually shocked by the fact that i didn't remember that because he is so he is like the friend
Starting point is 01:22:58 The funliest, coolest. You interviewed for like 40 minutes, by the way. Yeah, that's wild. Talks to everyone. The second you pulled up the picture, I was like, oh, yeah, this is kind of bringing me class. I got to listen to it and see what we talked about. You should.
Starting point is 01:23:12 Yeah, he's the man. He was just awesome. Everybody likes him. Bit Clark. Did Roxy ever react to The Matrix? Thanks. For the World Girls, I did with Stefan Dorena. I've only seen the first one, but we did a, I think it was either on Patreon or
Starting point is 01:23:27 YouTube. Oh, okay. Chris Koston. Thank you, Chris. Christian, Star Wars Explained, just released videos answering the biggest unanswered questions in the original prequel and sequel sequel trilogy. Check them out if you haven't. Roxy, hope things went well with the film. You guys rocked.
Starting point is 01:23:43 That's very kind of you, Chris. Yeah. But what do you mean, though, when it comes like, how did he answer the questions, though? Did he get answers from people inside of Star Wars? Like, how, or is it like fan theory answers? that's what I mean. Like that's, I always like those,
Starting point is 01:24:01 I always like those videos, but it's like, hey, they answer the questions. It's like, this is the fan answering questions. It's like, you don't know.
Starting point is 01:24:09 It's like, who's that? Oh, I'm trying that off. It's you. Yeah, I know, it is.
Starting point is 01:24:14 And the next one, go pal. Do we know when Spider-Man films? I think they said summertime. I think Euphoria season three finally started shooting, which is odd because the pictures of Zendaya on the Odyssey set have come out recently. Why is that odd?
Starting point is 01:24:28 I think because of how much, I don't know how much they have. I'm not sure. Oh, no. Her softball. Oh, no. What happened? She might have broken her wrist. Wow.
Starting point is 01:24:48 I am taping. During softball. Yeah. She said practice today. I might have to. I'm sorry. Hold on. Let me just.
Starting point is 01:25:01 I'm going to end the show early? No, no, we got to finish the questions and then my little one might have to get dropped off here. I'll just hang out with her here and take her home. Okay. Do you know, spend on, I think, oh, my poor daughter. All right, let's see. Hopefully it's not broken. Hopefully not.
Starting point is 01:25:24 The nurse thinks it is, but we'll see. Roxy, have you seen the residence on Netflix? Yes, that's the Shonda show I talked about. Yeah. Mike Troy saw Roxy's big. smile at the end of her smile reaction. Roxy and Tara for Smile 3, your smile would fit in great with that movie.
Starting point is 01:25:39 One thing that I'm really excited to do is an actress eventually one day. Creepy is my jam. I do creepy because I've got the big fucking eyes. Oh, my wife, you fuck her. Oh, April Fool? You fucker. Oh, my God. I'm calling
Starting point is 01:25:55 her. Wait, do you know if it's April Fools yet or no? Yes. Oh, you fucker. You're a fucker. that's so stupid hello i'm on the air right now you fucker gotcha every year i don't get you i said this year i'm getting him gotcha i was good i knew you'd buy it i did buy that i did buy that
Starting point is 01:26:24 because it's so believable it was so believable oh my god oh you got me i was like so I was like, oh, the poor kid. I was like, is she okay now for real? Maybe. Yeah. I don't know. She's at school. Oh.
Starting point is 01:26:38 I hope she's okay. All right. I hope she makes it through the triads. I hope I didn't just jinx everything. All right. Well, I hate you. And that was a good one. April falls, full.
Starting point is 01:26:51 Shit. That was good. That was good. That was good. That was good. All right. Well, I'm relieved and, and bombed at the same time.
Starting point is 01:27:01 Yeah. Yeah. All right. Okay. Imagine I would have ended the show. Yeah. And I would have been pissed. Then I would have been pest.
Starting point is 01:27:09 I said, do you want to stop the show? And you did. Rangers fan, 1996. Okay. And I feel better. Well, my whole head is just thinking about my poor kid and how she was going to, I know, I got to take her to the doctor and she's going to be, uh.
Starting point is 01:27:25 Yeah, you said the nurse doesn't think so. Oh, it was good. That was good. She got me. Welcome back, Movies, I just went to see a working man today. My God,
Starting point is 01:27:33 I love that movie. It was so fun, wasn't it? It was so fun. State the Matt is kicking ass best, tempted to go back. 99 well spent. Again, Roxy,
Starting point is 01:27:41 much love. I had so much fun of that movie. I had so much fun. It's true. Nathan Drake, Christian just tweeted he's bringing back Schmo down for five more seasons.
Starting point is 01:27:52 I'm so hyped. Do you know, not an April Fool's joke? I actually had someone reached out to me yesterday with a set and said, hey, would you consider bringing the Shmowdown back if we used this for a set? Did you say no?
Starting point is 01:28:04 I said, are you interested in buying it to the person? What is they? I have not gotten a response to it. Because if the person buys it and wants to hire me to run it, and I don't have to do anything else, and all got to do it is run and book matches, and I can do it from the comfort of my own home, then yes. What city was the set in?
Starting point is 01:28:23 I'm not telling you. Oh. Because if I say it, you'll know who it is. Really? Yeah, yeah. I'll text you. I'll text you the city and I guarantee you that you guess. No way. Yeah, you'll guess. If I, I'll, okay. I'm gonna, you're checking your phone? Yeah, I guess. Okay. You'll know.
Starting point is 01:28:47 Oh, yeah, I know. Yeah. Okay. Christian unpronounceable. Dear. How did that person buy it? Who does that person? Yeah, I get it. I get it. Okay. Okay, Christian unpronounceable, Daredevil Born Again is Fire. Go-Pel, do you have an opinion on almost famous theatrical cut versus the extended untitled version?
Starting point is 01:29:09 I really call liking the extended because they just wanted more. I don't think I've ever seen the extended version. Have you, Rox? No, I don't, well, I don't know that I've ever seen the non-extended. I've seen one version. One version. We don't know which one you've seen. You're right.
Starting point is 01:29:22 I know, I don't know, Go-Pel. I'm not sure. 44 questions, Roxy, with 30 minutes to go. Can you beat Rokey? You need about 50 some odd to beat him. You need 50 more. Okay, okay. No, pal.
Starting point is 01:29:33 Roxy, does Randall Park and the residence feel to you like he's doing a slightly we worked, Jimmy Wu? I mean, it's not like that crazy of a character, so I hear what you're saying, but just Randall Park plays Randall Park a lot. Yeah, it's true. You know, we're speaking of it, we are, we just finished Wanda Vision. I put up, I put up episodes four, five, and six today in the channel, 7, 8, 9 will be on Friday.
Starting point is 01:29:58 But I really like the character of Jimmy Wu in the... M-TU? Well, he was fine in the Ant-Man, too. He's just there to kind of just tell jokes and run around the city. But he actually has something to do in Wanda Vision. I like them in that. Al Rensha, Marvel needs to establish Doom as a multiversal MCU threat. I think we need something like the iconic scene of God Emperor Doom
Starting point is 01:30:20 ripping out Thanos's spine. He does have to be absolutely devastating. I could not agree more. Yeah, agreed. Yeah, I'm so excited to see what they do. Alex, welcome back, Roxy. Gaga tickets went on Seattle yesterday, so the purse strings are tight for this.
Starting point is 01:30:38 Full stop, agree. AI feels eerie to my soul as well. I don't want to get on my soapbox right now, but I have to for one second. Contract tickets have become absolutely not afforded. Same, right? I know. It is so upset. As somebody who grew up, that's like my thing.
Starting point is 01:30:53 A lot of my friends going to conference, Going to concerts is what you look forward to the most. Now, if I can go to one concert a year, because the tickets, there's no tickets anymore that are like 50 bucks, 70 bucks. They're all $600, $600,000. Yeah. What the fuck? It's pretty insane. It's like wrestling tickets are the same thing.
Starting point is 01:31:12 So frustrating. Levi, anyone watching The Righteous Gemstones, Walton Goggins character, Uncle Baby, Baby, might be one of the best characters created for television. What's the righteous gemstones, Rox? What? Sorry. Have you talked about it before? First, wait, what?
Starting point is 01:31:32 Have you talked? This is amazing. This show is so up. This is the Danny McBride show? Right. Jen show? Oh, yeah. Is that the one with,
Starting point is 01:31:40 and is John Goodman in that? I just did. Think about who Katie had on this. I didn't want you. Yes, John Goodman is on it. I saw a scene where they walk in on, I'm doing 69 or something. It's John.
Starting point is 01:31:54 I mean, this show is. I unfortunately, I watched season one of Righteous Gemstones. I loved the show. And then for some reason, I haven't kept up the show. I think they're on the sixth and final season right now. I love, I have to binge the show when it's done. I'm going to binge the whole thing. It is like comedy fans say that this is the best show of the decade.
Starting point is 01:32:16 So people love, love this show. I hate when people do what I just did to Christian. I hate it because Christian watches so much stuff. everybody has blind spots. I just did it. I have way more blind spots to most people. Yeah, but that was so annoying of me, but I was surprised because this is a show
Starting point is 01:32:35 that I feel like you would love. I saw a scene that was funny. It was gross, but it was funny. Go pal. Material world is not, like, material world is a doc, documentary, not biopic. Oh, okay. That would be interesting.
Starting point is 01:32:51 Watch, what says you do that. Yeah, totally. Leor M. Support for Roxy. Any special plans for Passover? Thank you for asking. I don't know right now. Yeah. Probably something with Grammy.
Starting point is 01:33:07 I'm not sure. But thank you for asking. Yeah. Very nice question. Jim 1. Yes, the Beatles are huge historically. Does their music have that epic sing-along in theaters appeal to under 40-year-olds like Ava, Jackson, or Queen?
Starting point is 01:33:20 Yes. Yes. What? I think that question. hysterical. They have more hits and more types of, yes, under 40. What? We all live in a yellow submarine. That's for the under 40s. Yeah, that's true. Jay Mobile, you talk about viewers, budgets all the time and four movies in a single month is a lot and other studios are still dropping movies. Even with a massive marking bush, I don't know what's going to be interesting.
Starting point is 01:33:46 Yeah, no, look, I like it because it's ambitious. And if it's, It's one of those things that, like, look, if it fails, at least you did something that no one else has tried to do. And you did it with one of the biggest bands, if not the biggest band of all time. And you tried to do something outside the realm of normalcy. So, okay, to me, I'm going, all right, look, you think that studio had position. It's a lot of money you're asking for. But man, if we make this work, it'll be worth it. And if it's a, we have Sam Mendez, we've great actors, we've got great scripts, we have everything.
Starting point is 01:34:24 let's take a shot. And something would be proud of. If it doesn't make money because people do only want to choose one, then so be it. And it does well on stream. This is so stupid because we talked about it for so long. Yeah. We somehow miss us.
Starting point is 01:34:34 What studio is doing this? Sony. It's Sony. Yeah. It was during the Sony panel. Yeah. And I think that Sam Mendes is a big Sony guy with Bond and everything. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:43 Makes sense. Mirzum. Welcome back, Roxy. How was London? She loved it. Not only can I say, thank you. London was amazing. But I did just get a text from my manager.
Starting point is 01:34:54 who must be watching because shout out to Matt. He said, you can say you had scenes with Kate. So I had scenes with Kate. Oh, nice. Oh, you're good. Good. And how was that? Are you allowed to say that?
Starting point is 01:35:07 Are you allowed to say that? How was it? How were the scenes? I think that they were great. Do you get, so when you go in there, because she's like the biggest star you've worked with, right? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:35:17 Because you're, I've worked. She a bigger star than Kevin Smith and Jay Mews. in, yeah? Yeah. In terms of like star power. Yeah, I agree. So when you're in there, because I know you and I know as an actress and I'm sure you killed it, but is your mind going, okay, this is the biggest job I've had so far?
Starting point is 01:35:40 Are you messing with yourself at all? You're just like, no, I'm just in. For sure, Christian. Yeah. For sure. I mean, the night before, I was just thinking like, if you, if the first time you're working with the biggest star you worked with, you majorly fuck up. Right.
Starting point is 01:35:55 You'll never work yet. Right. And that's, that thought in my head was like, I, like, I said, I texted my family and I was like, I just am praying that for some reason I don't have, like, everything goes blank. Don't remember any of my lines. Don't know. Somebody says move left and I don't know my left from right. Like, of course, I was, I was really, really nervous.
Starting point is 01:36:19 That's just the truth. My situation. You're so detail-oriented. I'm sure you were great. I was super duper prepared. I felt really good about my choices. And I felt like just block out all the noise as much as you can. And just like do your job like you were doing your job with Christian or anybody that you've worked with.
Starting point is 01:36:41 When does the movie come out? I don't know that I can say. But I do, what I will say is I do know the answer to that, which is cool. The first one ever done a movie where I actually know when and where it's going to be. I'm very excited. I'll go to the, I'll go to the screening, even though I'm not going to actually be your plus one. But we'll see. Bobby Jackson.
Starting point is 01:37:00 Sidney Sweeney was at CinemaCon today to promote the housemaid with Amanda Seafree, Brandon Sklinar, and Paul Feig. That's a cool cast. That is a cool cast. I like that cast. Go pal, rocks. Did you get to hang out on Dean Street? Last time I was there 20 years ago, I think I remember there being cool bars there.
Starting point is 01:37:18 I did. That's where the original Soho House is, is right in that neighborhood. Dean Street is so cool. The pubs are so cool there. It's right near a lot of shopping as well. I really did get to see because I was in London for, I was there for 10 days until, you know, Heathrow shut down from the fire. Right.
Starting point is 01:37:40 I couldn't get back. I was there for an 11th. That was crazy. It's the only, I think the first time that the London airport, has been shut down since 9-11. So it was like the craziest experience. I woke up. I'm on my way to the airport.
Starting point is 01:37:54 It's 4 in the morning. And I'm told, hey, your flight is delayed. Your flight's delayed. Actually, it's canceled. Actually, the whole airport is shut down. So I was like, what? And so I really got to see a lot of London
Starting point is 01:38:09 because I was even there for an extra day after I'd seen everything I wanted to see. That's really great. I mean, that's good. You're able to, I mean, you did. I saw the Instagram stuff. you're just having so, so happy for you.
Starting point is 01:38:19 Yeah. I like, a lot of people don't like to travel alone. I'm always alone. So traveling alone is cooler than sitting in my apartment alone. It was so fun for me. And I kind of like got to wake up every day. I was only,
Starting point is 01:38:34 I was on set for four days. So of the 11 days I was there, I'm on set for four days. And then I went for two extra days to just like watch and see everything because I wanted to be part of it. But that's a lot of. days for me to wake up and be like, what do I want to do today in my life? I absolutely love that.
Starting point is 01:38:55 I love that. It's great. Super crazy movie geek. Big news. Breaking 3 with Tom Holland confirmed. Yeah, that's an April Foolish joke. What is it? What?
Starting point is 01:39:05 There you go. I'm going to do it to you. What old school 80s movie? Breaking Electric Bugaloo. It's like an old school 80s dance movie. It's like it is the epitome of the 80s. Yeah. Just do yourself a favor.
Starting point is 01:39:19 Just watch a trailer. You'll get it immediately. Bobby Jackson, sorry, Roxy. I forgot to say congrats on the movie and many, many more. Also, did you watch Reacher's season finale? Also enjoyed Lewis Tan and Cobra Coy, either of you watching the pit. Yet Roxy has covered the pit many times. And Richard.
Starting point is 01:39:34 I love Reacher and I love the pit. Reacher, I am one episode behind. Still need to watch that. And we'll talk about it next week. The pit is like the greatest ever. and what a shock to me. I haven't watched a, I mean, I still watch Grey's Anatomy, but I haven't watched a show that surprised me as much as the pit in a really long time.
Starting point is 01:39:54 Like, even somebody like Jeff Snyder loves the pit, which is kind of wild. Can you do the Jeff Snyder than I do? Jeff Snyder! You got to hang on the R. You got to emphasize the whole. At the time I get to the R, I can't keep going. As you know, Christian, despite being an actress, I am the worst impressionist. You follow you.
Starting point is 01:40:16 direction wall. So do it long, do it long, but just to show S-N-Y-D-U-H. And, but D-U-H-H-H. Okay, wait, you say it. Yeah, okay. Jeff Schneider! Jeff Schneider! Yeah, that's good. That's good. That was good. That was good. Go, pal. I thought it was odd that they would be filming Euphoria was, and that is filming The Odyssey. He's in so much of Euphoria the first two seasons. But the thing is, when you're at that level of celebrity, go, pal, it's like, hey, we need her in London today until Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:40:57 Everybody else in the cast of Euphoria is going to be shooting those days. And then we're going to fly her back from London to wherever the hell she's shooting, if it's L.A. or whatever. And she'll shoot for those three days. And then we'll fly her back to the Odyssey. What's what Christian just said, you have to get permission for whoever you have first. and paid out for it. But like even think about like Bowen Yang talked about this when he was shooting S&L and shooting wicked and going back and forth and back and forth.
Starting point is 01:41:25 Same thing with London versus New York. It's wild when you are a star. That's the life that you want. Do you know the craziest one I've ever heard though, like ever? And it's not healthy was the Michael J. Fox family ties back to the future. No, no, that's crazy. Did you know the story? You knew it, right?
Starting point is 01:41:46 I know the story. I know the story. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Crazy. Like, the fact for people who didn't know, like, he was essentially, like, family ties. And this is network TV. So they were shooting like, I don't know, 22 episodes, whatever it was. And he was the star of that show, like, at this point. So he would film all day on family ties.
Starting point is 01:42:04 And then they would take him from set to film back to the future all night. And then he would go back to work on family ties with like an hour of sleep or something like that. and you like sleep in between takes like crazy uh shah macape christian your wife is the goat she she got me today roxy congratulations we're all happy for you keep kicking ass she's gonna she's gonna keep kicking ass she's gonna appreciate that thank you yeah uh gregory doc christian never let your guard down on april first it's true my i'm pretty i'm pretty good that's what my wife said but she got me you know what she got me when it was vulnerable she got me when i was on the show you know what's funny about that that you just said this gregory is that or you had said it earlier but we're
Starting point is 01:42:42 just reading it. The pause that I had when Christian was just talking about Michael J. Fox is I was waiting for him to say whether he was going to say the real story or in April bullshit. So he was like, you know the story? And I was like, no, I know the actual story. I don't know what you were about to say. Yeah. Gregory Dot, Christian, never let your guard down in April 1st. My mom's trend would not answer the phone in the state. Cheers, Roxy, on your latest movie. Wonderful. Oh, that's funny. It sucks when you have actual news on the state. though, delivering news to people on this date. That's a bummer.
Starting point is 01:43:16 Bobby Jackson, my guess is Houston with Brad and Booker T. Hey, you never know. You never know. Could be Triple H and CM Punk. How about that? Oh. If they... I'm not going to say whether this is what you texted me or not.
Starting point is 01:43:30 I'm not going to tell people that. But for some reason, when you said it, the first thing I thought was I thought Sam Levine, before you texted me anything, before anything, I just, for some reason, when you said somebody texted me, Sam Levine was just the first person who popped in my mind.
Starting point is 01:43:46 There was one person that would be like a poker game one night, get into a conversation about the Schmodeown and be a room with somebody who could actually buy it. It would be San Levine. Yeah, I know. Yeah. And Sam Levine would at one point say, hey, do you want to take it off your hands? Because Sam would want to run it on his own, I'm sure.
Starting point is 01:44:03 During the Smodown itself, I actually had a couple meetings with Sam about trying to do more stuff before we went to Skybound. And Sam was very helpful. and active. And like a Sam and Rachel duo running the Schmoder. After some reason when you said it, I was like, oh, it's got to be Sam. No, it was, but it was. Uh, go pal. Damn, I took my niece and nephew
Starting point is 01:44:21 to see Rage and was taking it back that the tickets are 125 each face value. When I used to go to shows regularly in 2000s, they were like 20 bucks. Yeah, so Roxy was Sam. It's just, it's not fair. And the artists aren't making more money. It's like, this is, at some point, this is going to break because it can't just be the services, the ticket masters of the world that are making so much money. But look, it's like the housing market too, right? The housing market still hasn't crashed. It's like, and it will.
Starting point is 01:44:48 There's no way the house. At what point do you not pay to see your favorite artists? I know. At what dollar amount? I don't know. It's just just the rich can go. Gregory Da. Also, to be fair, my mom got me in a prank for 20 years on a, 20 years later.
Starting point is 01:45:02 I heard there was a peacock for my zoo load of animals in backyard. Mom never let me up the hook. I think a, I think a sister did. Roxy Rocks. There you go. Thank you, great. Mr. Nerd Fanatic, been working at a rock station for a decade, only paid for one concert out of 100. That was Creed with Friends, also met Deftones and Greta Van Fleet.
Starting point is 01:45:21 That was my favorite thing that I, during the Shmo's before, because I was, you know, Mark now does it, but I used to do, Heidi and Frank were five minutes from my house. So I did Heidi and Frank every Thursday, I think I would go, and I would do the show every Thursday. and they basically paid me in concert tickets and I loved it. It was great. That's how Ellis still does.
Starting point is 01:45:46 Yeah. Because he gets paid and it's worth every second. Guns and Roses. When I'm dying to see somebody and can't afford them, I shamelessly text Ellis. I tell you who do you have tickets for this? Yeah. That's what I and that's how I got paid with them. And the worst was I got, they got me like great seats to Tom Petty.
Starting point is 01:46:05 My daughter had just been born. He was dead. four days later. Four days later. It was crazy. Yeah, Ben and I were supposed to go to that show too. Alex, same. Used to go to 20 concerts a year.
Starting point is 01:46:17 If you don't manage to do pre-sale dynamic pricing, screws you saw Gaga for 99 bucks 10 years ago, front row when Gaga was a thing. I just paid $150 for nose. General admission was a thing. Not when Gaga was a thing. Oh, there you go. Generation of mission was the thing.
Starting point is 01:46:31 Well, yeah, you know what's crazy, Roxy? That freaking Taylor Swift, I got my, my oldest is not into Taylor Swift. anymore, but she was, like, massively into Taylor Swift. And she, I got her tickets, and it was for shit seats. The amount of money that I paid. What are you talking about for? Coming up?
Starting point is 01:46:51 No, it was like two years ago, a year and a half ago, whatever it was. And it was ridiculous. And then my dad got myself and my daughter Ed Sheehan tickets at the same stadium, way cheaper, better seats, but still, it's just crazy. I mean, Taylor Swift is, as somebody, I like Taylor Swift. I'm not a diehard fan, but I like her. I'd like to go see one of her shows because I hear they're the greatest. I absolutely cannot go.
Starting point is 01:47:16 No, because it's too much, too much. Simon section, Roxy, I'm watching righteous gyms. The last episode showed way too much Walter and his Goggins water skiing. How does this add to this story? How do I eat my hot dogs while watching TV? I don't know enough about it. It's got to be his balls. I would assume so.
Starting point is 01:47:32 But they, yeah, I mean, the scene that they showed of the John Candy, no, John Goodman doing. 69 was enough. George, Roxy, on a scale from 1 to 10, I'm an 11. No doubt, but you're at 12. I love you guys.
Starting point is 01:47:47 Great show today, as always. Now you both want me chicken nuggets. George has written some of the weirdest stuff in the chat today. Like what? I don't know. Before he was like, Roxy, I just texted you.
Starting point is 01:47:59 I looked down on my phone. I was like, who just texted me? Nobody did. Then he said that when did I stop caring? I used to care. And now I don't care. He's a bunch of stuff. I don't think you care, Roxy.
Starting point is 01:48:11 PLD, so proud of you and happy for you, Roxy. Thank you, PLD. Very nice. PLD, by the way, I got a PLDP props. Because yesterday I had to do two reactions back to back with the one with Tina and one with Sam. And PLD took over and hosted the second live stream on the membership and Patreon. He did a great job. Nathan Drake, and you're wrong, Pellee, I did watch.
Starting point is 01:48:33 The Pit in 1923, I watched five minutes. At 1930 are our must watch of the year. I got to watch PIP, 1923, phenomenal. I think both those shows are absolutely great. But how many must watches do you think there can be a year? I know. Ten or less. Quality is quality.
Starting point is 01:48:52 As long as there are quality shows, you can have as many, you know, must watch is must watch if it's. I really think probably of this year so far, it's probably severance and adolescence. Okay. All right. All right. Gregory dot, worst part, my sister sprained her ankle to see the peacocks. So much cinema con news.
Starting point is 01:49:10 I'm big on Spider-Man. What is Breaking? Real reaction. I got to see if there's anything else that broke while we were questions. Nothing? No, that's me asking you what is Breaking. Oh, oh, oh, breaking. I see.
Starting point is 01:49:26 You know what I mean? Yeah, I know what you mean. Let's see. So did you watch the Karate Kid trailer, by the way? No. Oh, okay. I thought you were asking me if I watched Karate. A new one that came out of saying.
Starting point is 01:49:35 Ed. The Gunther Jimmy J. Uso's segment was solid gold. I saw a clip of it. I saw a clip of it. What? So it's from W.B. There's Jay Uso and Gunther. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:49:47 What was it? I guess what I saw was that Gunther was basically, I don't know, they had Jay kind of tied up in the corner. And Gunther was kicking the crap out of his brother and making him bleed and put him a pussy and stuff. And it was trying to finally getting some heat. on that match and they're going to unfortunately they're going to give the title to j us so but we'll see um cass could sonian theater is just some kind of ticket bundle for the beatles movies i could see that being a smart way to get people and for all them yes i think you should be able to get a i think
Starting point is 01:50:17 you should have a discount for it what do you think the price point is on four movies i think that if you're going to dollar four movies or what are they going to do i think you you if you buy you can buy four scene whenever they are i mean maybe you could buy four all four for for 20 bucks. 25 bucks. One movie in LA is more than $20. Yeah, that's the sum of you want everybody to go see it.
Starting point is 01:50:40 That's all you got to do. No. I don't know. Chris Kossin. Star Wars explaining answers the various unanswered questions with various kind of material like comics, novels, etc. I hope you have a great Passover, Roxy.
Starting point is 01:50:51 Both of you, who's your favorite beetle? Mine is George Harrison. It's hard to say that. Like, Lenin. Yeah. Lenin's my favorite. I feel you on that.
Starting point is 01:51:01 I agree, I think. But at different times, of my life it's been different. Like, I remember when I was just trying to be such a contrarian, I was like, it's Ringo. But it's hard for not to be Lenin. Yeah, it's Lenin because it was just the way his mind worked. But thank you, Chris. Chris is very kind of you, man. Thank you for that. N-L-S-FC-96, Roxy. Have you seen Snow White? Thoughts of it? Uh-oh, we are there when you go through one show without talking about Snow White? Guess not? No, I haven't. Okay. That's it. No, so I don't have thoughts because I didn't see it. Christian, did you not
Starting point is 01:51:33 like it like everybody else? No, I just I thought someone yesterday, it's so funny that you love people do gotcha things. People love to do gotcha. In my review, I said it was like three, I thought it was a very, I thought it was a decent remake. I said that she didn't help anybody in a movie at all.
Starting point is 01:51:49 It was a decent remake. I thought that Galgado was miscast, not good in it. I thought Rachel it was a good singer. I said three out of five in it. I could probably go, I probably could go 2.6 now looking back on it, but I'll stick with three. And my math was off when I did my review and I said three out of, yeah, three out of five or seven out of ten, which is
Starting point is 01:52:07 six out of ten, not seven of them. And so yesterday, someone goes, well, I wonder what Roku would say if he knew Christian gave it a seven out of ten. I was like, well, it was actually six out of ten. But either way, it's like, that's not the gotcha moment that you think it is. Mike, did Roka like it or didn't like it? No, we were talking about how it's just kind of, because we just had conflicting. Like, I, I think he doesn't think Rachel Ziegler is as much to blame as everyone is saying she is and I I do I think she has I think there's a huge blame with her overall um but I don't think she's the only reason but I think she's a major reason and um yeah so it's a little long conversation you're my choice can you say if your movie streaming oh is it streaming is a theatrical
Starting point is 01:52:47 or is a video on demand I don't think I can say I don't know what I can say so I'd rather say nothing than say something that I can't speculate for you Mike and Roxas doesn't have to confirm or deny I'll speculate because I asked Roxy if she knew when it was coming out. She said, yes, I do. That doesn't necessarily mean it's coming out theatrically. It could be streaming, but I think it's going to be theatrically and maybe at the same time. But we'll see. Sun Tzu, good call on the Batman casting, Christian.
Starting point is 01:53:16 You've been calling it for months, Brozky, and congrats and everything you got for Roxy. Sun Tzu, you saw, I think, an April Fool's joke. There has been no Batman casting. again. Right? There's been no Batman. I think that that's something Luke would have texted you about. Yeah, he would have.
Starting point is 01:53:37 Yeah, it was BS. It hasn't happened. It was April Fool's. Don't believe anything that you saw today. Unless it comes from like, you know, one of the movie said it's about, you know, CinemaCon. Matt, I binged all Severnton last week. If the Toro doesn't get an Emmy, it would be a crime.
Starting point is 01:53:52 Yes, Stuart said he was great. Tartre was great this season. He really was. Everybody was great. And it was great. Christy was great. Amazing. And all season, you cut spoilers. All season, you know Gwendolyn Christie, obviously from watching Game of Thrones.
Starting point is 01:54:09 So you wonder, when are we going to see Gwendolyn Christie kick ass? All since you knew she was cast. So that was cool. She was so good. Ryan S. Welcome back, Roxie. Congrats on the movie. The Red Jacket from your London ship's fire.
Starting point is 01:54:21 Is that yours or something from the movie? Thank you so much. I bought it in London. They have the greatest shopping ever there. and I was on Oxford Street and saw the jacket from the window and was like, treat yourself. But it was like a store that's kind of similar to Zara. So it's a plether. And it was reasonably priced.
Starting point is 01:54:43 I was so excited about it. Rocks here at 67. You need just about 30. In six minutes. In six minutes you need 30. Jake Yacaveta, there's one person that could push you over 30 in six minutes. Christian says I'm only here in Roxy. Fact is so I guess I have to show up.
Starting point is 01:55:01 Shout out to being the coolest chick like Kate Beckinsale movie. And I also have to give props to Tfield Day. That's fair. Appreciate it. Thank you, Jake. Okay. Thank you, Jake. Jim 1.
Starting point is 01:55:11 To clarify, yes, the Beatles music is huge. But are there life stories and personalities interesting enough versus Michael Jackson, Elvis is seen in the theaters? We'll have to find out what the story is, but I feel like the answer is yes there. Is getting shot and killed not interesting enough? I feel like John Lennon is, but the question, but he's not, maybe, you know, Harrison and, and, uh, Ringo, I don't know. If you get through our movies, you might have a quote. Well, I just don't understand why, based on knowing the Beatles and knowing Elvis, why is Elvis's life more interesting than the Beatles?
Starting point is 01:55:43 Well, each one, though, you can make a comparison of whether or not you think Elvis is, I don't know. He might have a point with, I, let's see, Alex, he used to be so easy to meet people after shows pre-COVID. I met man sentiment, Gaga. I meant Amy Lee. Ellie Golding. So much has Stanley changed. Sold my tailor tickets for 1,500 a piece in 2020 for shit seats. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 01:56:04 I'm telling you. It was crazy. I couldn't believe. The only reason I did that was for my, it was a Christmas present for my daughter, and I'm still paying it all. PLD projects. We all know the real Batman casting, Christian.
Starting point is 01:56:16 You know what it is, right, Roxy? No. Paul Giamatti as Batman. Did you know that? Why is that your... My fucking Batman. Oh. Do you have the answer now?
Starting point is 01:56:30 Okay. All right. So next one here. Chris, how hyped are you guys for Supergirl? Also, I hope that Jensen Enkels is considered for Batman, DCU. Love your guys and enjoy your conversations. I'll say he's not my number one choice.
Starting point is 01:56:44 He used to be, but he's not my number one choice. And I hope that he does get considered because he's great and he would be great. And if he got cast, good. I'm stoked for Super. Supergirl. I love that Milliecki. Miliaki. That's my pronunciations.
Starting point is 01:57:03 Alcott. I love the Millie Alcott. Cock. Cot. Not cot. Cock? Yes.
Starting point is 01:57:15 Rilialkaalcock. You know we're going to clip out. Cock. You know it. That, PLD, the same way you clipped out, the same link It's so weird how you can
Starting point is 01:57:31 know somebody's name like the back of your hand and then when you can't think of it then you don't know it and then you don't know it Oh that's hilarious That's like when Ellis went falls It was good
Starting point is 01:57:41 Can we click about you saying cock Not caught? It's not the same It's the same I don't know All right But yes I'm also looking forward To supergirls
Starting point is 01:57:53 I like that photo Or reading the Supergirl comic Yes PLD Okay, guys, can't let Roxy lose to the outlaw. Jake agrees. Wait for Roxy to be Roca. Say less.
Starting point is 01:58:04 Thanks, Jake. Seventy-Hagherth. Congrats on the film, Roxy. Do you both have favorite novels? People are going to think I'm such a doofist for this. But I'll tell you what is a great novel and it's an intellectual novel, but you would never know it because of what happened down the line with the, when it became a movie, the first blood novel is incredible about the story.
Starting point is 01:58:27 the struggles of PTSD with a Vietnam vet, it took place in 72 and the war wasn't over yet. What was going on in the mind of Rambo during that? The David Morel book, it's brilliant. It's absolutely brilliant. So there you go. I don't have a favorite novel. I used to always say it was Catcher in the Rye growing up,
Starting point is 01:58:48 but I stopped reading. Yeah. So, no, I'm reading a 700-page book right now, and it's taken me eight months. Let's see. PLD projects. When Christian does a bit, we just see that bit of Roxy's soul,
Starting point is 01:59:02 leave her body. She doesn't like bits. Sometimes. C. Black. This is that we get a Fantastic 4 trailer on 4-4-4. When is the next movie? I don't know. It depends on when the movie.
Starting point is 01:59:14 Is they actually doing it? What do you mean? When are they doing another Fantastic 4? I mean, Fantastic 4. Oh, Fantastic 4. I'm, idiot. I was thinking of Fast and curious.
Starting point is 01:59:25 Oh. You said it. I was like, do you not know that they're making? And somebody asked me this yesterday, too, is another reason I should have know what the hell they were talking about. No, because, well, if we don't get a Superman trailer, then yes. If we do, then no. You think that they know that?
Starting point is 01:59:44 Yes. I do. I think they know that. And I think they're also paying attention to it that if they don't know it, they're going to pay attention to they and say, don't because Superman's going to own the conversation for a little bit. Is there merit to four, four, just like fantastic four? Is that why you're saying four four?
Starting point is 02:00:01 Yeah, I assume so four. Yeah, I would assume. All right, Roxy. Hey, hell of a comeback. Hell of a way to come back here. 73 questions. It's good. I think this is them saying, they're punishing me.
Starting point is 02:00:11 They said, you haven't been here for a month? You don't get to be the queen. And you're right. I got to earn that spot. Yeah, you had enough wins when you were here. But that was good. On back, baby. Good.
Starting point is 02:00:22 Tomorrow. Oh, you got another one. Sorry, Chris Constan. Christian, would you mind if I put a link to the three Star Wars Explained videos in the comments? Hope you and Roxy have a great rest of the day. I'll tell you why I don't mind. You should ask so nicely. Go ahead.
Starting point is 02:00:34 I don't think that they can, though. You can't put a link in somebody else's. I feel like you can. You know what? Luke, just send it to me and I'll post it. Simon section. Roxy, do you ever go to grocery shopping in London? If so, how did you feel about buying your grocery bags, 20p? I did go grocery shopping in London.
Starting point is 02:00:51 I didn't buy 20-pound grocery. bags so I don't know what that part's about. But my place that they had me up had a kitchen. So I did it was definitely nice I think if you're there for more than a week they are like yeah you're going to want to like not just eat out
Starting point is 02:01:08 every single meal. What did you hang out with? Myself a lot because everybody that I know there was working but I did one of the the producer the way that I got the audition my first auditioner knew about this in order to audition was the person
Starting point is 02:01:26 that put me in my first movie. Oh, right. Name is Dominic Burns. He put me madness in the method. That's the Jay and Kevin movie. And he is the writer of this movie and a producer on this movie.
Starting point is 02:01:42 And so he is one of my closest friends. I haven't gotten to see him in years. He hasn't been here since the pandemic. And so when I could hang out with him, I hung out with him. And then he really, like, introduced me to all the producers on set and everybody. There's, there's hundreds of people on set. I mean, there is, like, it's a big movie.
Starting point is 02:02:03 So there's not like some of the sets I'm used to work on. There's 15 people, 50 people. There were hundreds of people. So I did. Is the whole thing wrapped in the movie or was it just? No, they're still shooting. They're still shooting. Yeah, they're still shooting.
Starting point is 02:02:15 Which I hate. I've never been a part of a project where I've been wrapped. Right. And they're all still having fun together. Right. Are you going to be able to go to the rap party or no? I don't even know what their intention is yet, actually. No, but I think it's still shooting for another week or two or something.
Starting point is 02:02:32 No. I can't go back there that quick. I think you missed one, Christian. Well, this one, four, four, two, four would be great. Other times work, too. Okay. And then there's another one here. Go pal.
Starting point is 02:02:44 Doesn't Fast 11 have to be coming soon since the last one didn't have a really anything. That's what I thought. That's why I was confused. You were like, I don't know when the next. That's why I'm confused. going to be. I was like, what? Nerds engaged. Hey, Roxy, were you named after the police song, Roxanne? I was.
Starting point is 02:02:59 You know what? I'm glad that you asked that, Ners Engage, because I've always wondered that, and I've never asked that question. I was. So both of my, um, both my Grammy and Poppo's mom's name were Rose. So my parents knew they wanted to use an R first name. Um, and they were getting down to it. They didn't know what they wanted to name me. And they just didn't feel like my, my parents were so rock and roll. They were like, we're not going to do Rose. So then like a week before, I guess my mom, I was having pregnancy dreams and sting and the police came during our dream and saying Roxanne and she woke up and that's what they decided to name me. Yeah, which is after a sex worker, which is an interesting stuff about me. Oh, yeah, that makes sense.
Starting point is 02:03:40 It's where like, really because of music and then the thing, not that you're a sex worker. And then also, I mean, yeah, I know this. Yeah, anyway. Yeah. Gregory Dopp, over the top, or close for Roxy. Right now, 81. 81 for Roxy. So, Go Pal, they charge 25 cents. Oh.
Starting point is 02:04:02 That's it back here on Nova. They do that here in the States in L.A. too. Also, how is today the first time hearing about Roxy in a Jay and Kevin Smith movie? This is the first movie that Jay directed. It was also Stan Lee's last movie. It's called Madness in the Method. and I am in about 30 seconds of it as a newscaster, which was a very cool experience for me.
Starting point is 02:04:24 I need to see that. Christian, do you know, this is N-L-S-F-C-C-N-S-C-N-S-C-N-E-6? Christian, do you know if Sam has seen the Rocky movies? I think that should be reaction set. That would be fun. Just re-watch Creed and amazing film. She has seen them. She's seen all the Creed movies.
Starting point is 02:04:36 Now, my wife has only seen a few, but you know, who hasn't, has only seen one, Winston. And Winston is apparently, yeah, Winston's only seen like the Creed movies. That's it. Why? I don't know. That's so unlike it. He said he's going to come here in New York and we're probably going to watch them.
Starting point is 02:04:52 So Jay Mobile, got to give another for Roxy. Welcome back. Roxy making a comeback here. Making a comeback nerds. And Gage him crazy. Thank you for the answer. Thank you. Go, pal.
Starting point is 02:05:01 My old boss named his daughter Sadie after the Beatles song, which I always thought was odd. Yeah, sexy Sadie, right? No, that's not what my wife was ended up for sure. PLT projects, go, Roxy, go. Do I support for Roxy. Oh, they're coming in hot, Roxie. Alex. Alex, did you try Nando's while you?
Starting point is 02:05:17 This was a very controversial thing. I was telling everybody, like, everybody says I need to try Nando's because I kept asking you guys, what should I try? And everybody on set said Nando's sucks. Don't try Nando's. So I didn't try Nandoz, but then I came back and now everybody's upset and try Nandoz. Oh, Luke S. Roxy, you don't have to put on your red light.
Starting point is 02:05:35 There you go. Ryan S. Support for Roxy to win. George, Christian and Roxy, what's your individual personal advice for running a successful YouTube channel and caring for your fan base? Also, what keeps driving you? Keep driving you is, and I know it's a cliche, and it kind of seems like a lame answer, but it really is the fan support and engagement, because if you guys care,
Starting point is 02:05:56 then it means that we're actually doing something that you guys like and that we can continue to do it. And I listen to you guys. Like I said, I'm going to start trying. I try to do reactions. They do well. It means you guys like watching us. So we do more of them.
Starting point is 02:06:07 We bring in Sam. We bring in Sam more. We do this. We like to like listening to guys. Pay attention. That's the way to answer your first question. Pay attention to your audience and what they're asking for. and engage for them.
Starting point is 02:06:19 Roxy? I don't run a successful YouTube channel. So I'm not the best person to ask about this, but I am surrounded by people who do. I run a YouTube channel that I love, but I wouldn't call it a successful one. The things that I've learned most from Greg and Christian specifically, though, is how important consistency is, which is absolutely key.
Starting point is 02:06:42 And then also that it, like, for it to be successful in the way that I think you're talking about it is your full-time job it's not it's not a like side thing it's a full full job right it is 100% I mean you have to uh j mobile beat roca that's the mission pld projects did you see any rock history spots yeah I went to abbey road which was really cool um I would call that a rock history spot right yeah I think so too yeah of course it is Abby road yeah yeah very very cool I walked across it um I made two of the producers go with me. We walked across. It was nighttime, but, you know, there was still like a line waiting to walk across, which is so cool. That is very cool.
Starting point is 02:07:25 Yeah. Okay. Let's see. So next, thank you for that question. Okay. Next one here. Roxy, I think you might get close here. Let's see. So next one, Ryan S. More support for Roxy. Gregory Dopp, support Rockley and a James News and Kevin Smith movie. Yeah, so those are guys who don't know, Jane Mus and I used to host a show together every week on screen junkies called Flash and Friends. It was me, Jay Mews, and Joe Starr every week for like two years. I love Jay. Jay is, I still have a voice message on my phone from Jay about offering me the role
Starting point is 02:07:59 in Madness and the Method. He's awesome. And Kevin would come on the show a lot. So that's how I worked with Kevin. RQMDS, MDS, MDS, support for Roxy. Glad you're feeling better. Thank you so much. It's nice to not have a flu.
Starting point is 02:08:13 Roxy. The flu sucked. I'm sure it did. But you somehow have made a comeback and have beaten Maroka, 97. That's wild. Wild. Cox? Why is my voice that high?
Starting point is 02:08:40 It's not that high, is it? Cox? I feel like I have a pretty low voice. Why did I go so high with it? Oh, you're at 98 now. Roxy, favorite DC character? Also, both of you, which X-Men character are excited to see in Doomsday? if they actually have Gene Graham
Starting point is 02:09:00 I'm excited to see Gene Gray I'm scared to speak anymore I don't know You know what's so confusing about it is that you're wearing the same thing right now Yeah I know I'm just randomly saying it Cops
Starting point is 02:09:18 Never working this outfit again Luke do that that fast Or is that PLD Luke Oh Wow Luke Luke that was payback for me being like Luke why'd you ask that question
Starting point is 02:09:38 Like, oh, yeah, cock. All right. All right. Well, we did it. It's 90. Probably Batman, but Black Canary recently I've been obsessed with. And I think the most underrated that was brought by the DCCW shows was white canary. I loved her.
Starting point is 02:09:57 Someone said it's like a sort of Tourette's. Cock? All right. That was hilarious. I love it. I love what happened here today. I love having you back. I'm so happy.
