Marvel Studios' next massive Avengers movie is building enormous momentum well before its theatrical debut, but just how big could this movie actually become? On today's Kristian Harloff Show, we discuss the early Avengers: Doomsday box office numbers, whether the film could challenge some of the biggest opening weekends of all time, and just how much anticipation there is to see Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom alongside the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four. Could Doomsday potentially reach the heights of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame? And with Avengers: Secret Wars still to come, is Marvel about to recapture the event-movie excitement of the Infinity Saga? Over at DC, we've got our first looks from The People vs. Gorilla Grodd. New set videos show a surprisingly dapper Gorilla Grodd singing, along with a first look at Jimmy Olsen. Just how strange is this DC Studios series going to get, and could its completely different tone help expand James Gunn's DCU? The biggest question today is how massive Avengers: Doomsday can become. Crossing $50 million in early ticket sales would be another major indication that audiences are ready for Marvel's next Avengers event. With Doctor Doom, the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men all involved, Doomsday has the ingredients for one of Marvel Studios' biggest movies ever. If you're a fan of Avengers: Doomsday, Doctor Doom, Robert Downey Jr., X-Men, Mister Sinister, Adam Driver, Gorilla Grodd, The Penguin, The Batman Part II, Marvel Studios, or DC Studios, this episode is for you! Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up, everybody. We're back. Smetsey's back two days in a row. How cool is that? Chris Carr out today. We will miss her. She'll be back next week, I believe. We'll find out for sure, but she's going to be back. We got some stuff.
Starting point is 00:00:18 DC has a hit on their hands with lanterns, man. People are digging that show, doing very well in the ratings. Well, they got another show for HBO Max, the People versus Gorilla Grod. A new set videos coming out, and I don't know what the show is. apparently you know it's like a mockumentary type thing but is this the show at the moment the dc needs we'll talk about it some rumors about mr sinister matt reeves reups his warner brother's deal avengers doomsday that's for 50 million in pre-sales and tons of games today on the show so it's me and smet's two days in a row you didn't have them for months now you got him again
Starting point is 00:00:56 day back to back so let's get into it here's the show Did you shit in there? What's going on, everybody? Welcome back to the show here today. As I mentioned, yesterday we had on Kaiser and Smets. Smets is back two days in a week. Yep. It's Smith.
Starting point is 00:01:25 What's up? Two days in a row. We're blessed. Yes, we're blessed with my presence. How's everybody doing today? It is a Thursday. It's a great day today to be alive. I kind of messed up.
Starting point is 00:01:36 I turned in my iPhone when I came back from the trip last month. And I dropped off my UPS package to the post office, which doesn't handle UPS. So I just figured that out. And so I've been doing a lot for my new phone and it sucks. Luke just sent me the link for the new one. Yeah. The new phone. And it like folds out and it's like almost like an iPad.
Starting point is 00:02:00 Yeah, I saw that. That's cool. I think I'm going to get that. I'm just kicking myself. So now I got to go to the post office. I don't know if anyone in the chat has ever experienced that. If you drop a UPS package off at USPS, what happens. But I'm already beyond the 30-day window.
Starting point is 00:02:15 So I'm just- Yeah, that stinks. That stinks like shit, as they say. I don't know if anybody says that, but I do. Listen, you do. We have some really cool news, as we mentioned. We just dropped the Mandalorian season three, episode one and two reaction with me and Sam.
Starting point is 00:02:31 We'll be finishing up that series pretty soon. He's coming in today to shoot. I will see some. I think we can wrap it up. I'm hoping that we can wrap it up because then we've got to get into that movie. Get away from that and then just jump back into the DCEU. But we got to watch the Green Lantern, the Ryan Reynolds one. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I don't know. I don't think that has anything that doesn't have anything to do with the DCEU, though, does it? No, I think it's just so people could hate watching along with you. That would be. I know, but wasn't that before even Snyder took over? Yeah, way before. It was, right? Way before.
Starting point is 00:03:05 So, I don't know. So Kevin's got another shot to win. the questions today. We'll see if he can do that. But I wanted to show you guys this. Yesterday we were aiming to hit over 2,300 and we, sorry, 2,200, and we did it. And now we're aiming for 2300. You can see that right now on the Kickstarter. We are currently at 2,230. You see the project we love. We were blessed because you guys have been following us. And we're almost there, guys. People keep asking me this question you know what um where we have we're you know it's the 22nd so they're like how you feel and of course i'm nervous i'm excited and can't wait to do it and i think that if everybody
Starting point is 00:03:48 here is who's watching hasn't just click the notify button if everybody can do that it's going to be really monumental and it's going to help us out tremendously once it starts so hopefully you know appeal to you put the link in there just keep pepper it in there throughout the show but our show is trending dot com make sure you do that we'll have some more announcements pretty soon which would be cool um and then our live stream i have see mike see the thing is i have a something mike's going to be on the show mike and roxy will be on the show on tuesday i have a couple cool exciting things that are going to happen on that live stream that i'm putting together also what do you got what do you got i don't want to say it though because if mike watches and roxy watch they're going to know
Starting point is 00:04:27 what it is and i want to surprise him penny barber i don't know what i have i have a lot of stuff that i working out but that'll be interesting to have some fun stuff happen and I think I'll do the same thing I'll introduce some potential competitors for the tournament we're just going to we're probably going to be on from like 10 in the morning until
Starting point is 00:04:47 Are you talking about the 22nd? That's the actual big day. Yeah the actual launch day day I think there's going to be like two days in a row well the launch day is the 22nd that's that is Tuesday yeah that is the actual day oh farts let me realize something I might have to, I might have to change something up,
Starting point is 00:05:07 but I got my dates wrong. Anyway, so we have some stuff going on today. I hope that you guys are going to join us, chime in, have some conversations, but Luke was sending back and forth. It's like, you know, what do you guys want to talk about for the main topic? He's like, you want to go over this grill at Gras thing? And I said, yeah, sure, because I really like the people who are involved. I've mentioned this before.
Starting point is 00:05:29 I've worked with Dan Pearl before. he's a really good guy uh very happy for his success with american vandal and other things um i i thoroughly think he's a good human being and funny and i and i root for him and i hope that this show is good i just don't know what the hell it is right and i don't know and and i'm also just cards on the table i don't i don't i'm naive about it because what i thought i thought he was like a menacing villain from like the flash is what i thought he was um i didn't know there was like a goofy silly he's dancing and singing and all that kind of shit involved in it. And it very well could work.
Starting point is 00:06:06 And it could be one of the surprising shows. But let me bring this story up. And here it is. The People versus Borla Grod, the set videos show a dapper grot belting out a tune in a first look. I mean, this immediately made me think of the movie Sing. And this was going to know if you guys for people who have children. It reminded me of sync. Remind me of the character that, what's his face?
Starting point is 00:06:33 And Taryn Egerton played. What is this show? That's the first thing. This latest photos and videos from the set of the People versus Grillagrod show actor Jimmy Tatro belting out a rendition of LMAO's Party Rock Anthem. We got our first glimpse of a fully practical Grill of God yesterday as filming commenced on the HBO Max DC Crime series,
Starting point is 00:06:55 the People versus Grillagrod, and the initial set photos and videos. show the villain graduating from college and singing a backstreet boy song. Not exactly what fans were expected from the show, though we have been told the TPVG would put a comedic spin on the true crime docu-series format. Some more videos have been shared online, and this time we see actor Jimmy Tatro rehearsing a rendition of party rock anthem. It seems this take on the super intelligent flash villain will enjoy belting out of tune.
Starting point is 00:07:21 They'll also see a very dapper-looking groad, having fun with his capella group and showing off his dance moves to a young lady, as well as another shot of Eduardo O'Franco. Matt, uh, matter, either lad and a first look at Skylar Gazonda returning Jimmy Olson. We're not really sure, we're not sure how these sequences will factor into the show, but reports from the set claim that the people versus GorillaGrod will feature fake interviews, just like showrunners Dan Peralds and Tony Ysendez's 2017 mockumentary series American Vandal. And so there's this, they have the stuff here. I don't know if they'd be popular right, but there's some of the pictures.
Starting point is 00:07:55 See him there. a little bit more of what's going on. I mean, tomorrow, crew hat spot. I mean, that's not big news, is it? Oh, anyway, you can't shit on it yet, because you don't know, you know, you don't really just, you don't know, I see people kind of losing their minds on, on social media going, they have no idea what they're doing in the DCU
Starting point is 00:08:18 and the comedy aspect. This is crazy. I'm not thrilled. I mean, I'm not, like, pumped up about another comedy series, goofy thing. To me, I feel like this is more so where, James Goode's probably wanting to do this for a bit. This is a show for him and his friends and some other people are going to do it. And if they get real lucky and they make it real entertaining.
Starting point is 00:08:35 But the positive side is that it's on HBO Max. They have showrunners that made American Van der Lear work really well. As I mentioned, Dan Prawled has a very good comedy brain. He's a really smart dude. They probably will make this show very entertaining. The question is, how do you go from the tone of lanterns into the tone of this? And maybe it's just like the same. answer that you would when you go into a comic book store with DC and you say well that one's a
Starting point is 00:09:03 really serious dark comic in Clayface that one not so much that's more about a dancing gorilla and this and then too he might show up the only problem with that is that these things all intersect into because when you have just regular comics and people can make the argument of well it's just like a regular comic shop you go in one tone is different one tone is different the problem is that all these tones have to intersect eventually which one wins you know or which one gets shown because in comics it doesn't really matter you just okay like that tone i like that tone doesn't really matter but i'm already looking at the tone of lanterns and the tone of say superman or supergirl they're significantly different um maybe some people don't give a shit about i don't know but how do you feel about it i think it's okay um i mean james gunn made that defense uh when someone was like oh how is this all Someone did a tweet that was like all the images from like lanterns, Superman, Supergirl. And it was like, this is all in the same continuity, by the way. And then his retort was like from a certain year in DC Comics where it was like the bright stuff, the dark stuff.
Starting point is 00:10:09 And it was like, so was this, right? So there is that argument you said. It's like it's like going into a comic book shop. For me, and I haven't seen American Vandal. So that's why I'm going to be a little hesitant on speaking too much on it. I know what Gorilla Grod could be, though. I mean, Gorilla Grod is supposed to be like one of the most, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:28 everybody is menacing, right? Yeah, everybody's so excited about Doom because Doom is like one of the smartest human or persons in the entire MCU, right? And that, you know, just like how Magneto was snart and stuff. Grod is supposed to be one of the most super intelligent human beings, like human beings or whatever he is on the entire galaxy. So that's what he looks like in, yeah, and he has such intelligence.
Starting point is 00:10:52 that he can get people along on his side and his conquests and stuff like that. So going from that and I saw the footage, I thought it was a joke. I thought it was like someone was doing AI or whatever. To see the footage of, sorry, I thought that was work. To see the footage of him dancing, I don't want to shit on it because it's not out. We haven't even seen a trailer. But I just feel like there's other characters. There's a misopportunity, right?
Starting point is 00:11:15 She Hulk, for instance, was super goofy. But in her comics, she broke the fourth wall and was super goofy. but it's not like they did a daredevil show and they're having daredevil dance in central park right um and it's that soul that whole thing too of just like how peacemaker had that opening dance number and it's like you said james gun just likes to do things with all his friends and it's probably getting they're getting they're having a kick out of it in the writer's room but uh you know grod can be such and that will net you won't be able to come back from that you can't then all of a son use grot in a movie and he's like the most you know a crazy super villain avengers threat like like like the scariest
Starting point is 00:11:50 members of like planet of the apes right that's what you want them to you want him to feel like so like if he was in planet of the apes like nobody would say the chance you can't have coba doing you know the tango and and then all right right about him in the next movie it it really just depends on how they're able to do it you know with the mockumentary style to where if he does i mean if he comes off goofy then yeah it's like he's wearing a suit and he's dancing and he's singing i'm like i'm like i don't i don't know i mean i just don't think you can disregard it right away but I don't disagree with you at all that you just you you have to be very careful in how you're handling this villain because everyone's talking about we're getting this guy before you get the flash and he's like a big flash villain right so he was even great in the flash the CW show like they made him quite formidable and kind of like I never thought like it would be that big like it was kind of silly you know but like it was pretty good it's curious I'm you know you're talking about the the mixed of genres Deadpool is supposed supposed to supposedly going to be in Doomsday or whatever, if he is, is he going to break the fourth wall when
Starting point is 00:12:55 he's standing in the same room with Cap or whatever? Like, I'm curious how MCU will handle that. Because I do think you can, it's, it's, you can have it, look, it is very bright and sunny in San Diego. But if I went to, uh, you know, a horrible neighborhood in, uh, you know, the Gaza strip, not Gaza Strip, but like Afghanistan during war or something, that would have a different vibe than, you know, down the street near Mission Beach, right? So you could have Gotham be dark and you could have, you know, other cities.
Starting point is 00:13:20 be bright and then mix it together when a world level threat happens. But dancing, singing and dancing and breaking the fourth wall, that seems like a little. Yeah. I mean, like I said, I think that if you're going for this mockumentary style, comedy style, you got the right showrunners, regardless of, you know, knowing Dan or not. Like they had a very successful run with American Vandal and what they've been able to do. Like it's the right people to get. question is, is it the right tone to set at the moment? It's not those guys. Those guys will do
Starting point is 00:13:55 their job. Those guys will deliver what they're asked to deliver. The question, again, is going to be, should they have been asked to deliver that? And the answer very well might be, yeah, they threw things out. They said, like, we're going to do a kind of comedy center. We're going to respect Grilla Grod, we're going to make it happen. And we're also going to really shine the light on Jimmy Olson and the things that are about to happen in Manna Tomorrow and other things. Because when is this show supposed to come out? Do we know that? I will say, and I'm being a little bit devil's advocate here,
Starting point is 00:14:26 but we did get Penguin, which is fantastic and dark. And now we have lanterns, which is fantastic and dark. So maybe it is time where they do a lighter one. But I also worry because Shee Hulk was shit on all over the place, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, look, I'm watching lanterns, and this is, this could be just a boring take, which I completely understand and,
Starting point is 00:14:49 respect, but I was just watching lanterns going, I don't know if trying to do a thousand different tones right now for DC is the way to go. I think stick with a tone and this tone's pretty good with lanterns because it's hard to do a straight tone of a universe in the style of both consistently with Matt Reeves, what he's doing, what Christopher Nolan did in pacing in the realism side of it, right, because you couldn't have Gorilla Grod and Matt Reeves or Nolan's universe, right? So you're kind of limited by doing it that way. But combining it, combining it and doing like there is some grounded stuff going on in lanterns. But then within seconds, how Jordan will fly off into space and go talk to Sinestro.
Starting point is 00:15:36 So, and they do it. They handle it really well. So that, I was watching a couple different times. I'm like, oh, I wish they would just adapt this. Landrens is hands down the best thing the DCU has done so far. I love the actor who did Sinestro. I wish they dolled him up a little more.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Sam thought he just had a sunburn. I'm not even kidding. I got to put that in the reaction. You'll 100% have to because it's like, did you see the other one, by the way? I didn't know if you liked it or not. I haven't watched it yet. Oh, you've sent you two versions, by the way.
Starting point is 00:16:07 I'll check it out, yeah. But it's really funny. Yeah, it is. Like, what's this guy with the sunburn? Yeah. You know, I thought the Mark Strong version looked good you know like yeah but other than that yeah the acting was fantastic it's great i love i love love what they're doing with the show so far the show is really solid it's doing really well
Starting point is 00:16:24 doesn't it make you excited here's what i also you know erin pierre's really knocking out of the park yeah as john stewart and now i'm starting to get those vibes which the mcc did early on which is you you'd have the first movie out captain you know you had iron man out then you did thor then he did captain america and then you were excited to see them all together right i'm excited now. I mean, I know that Superman just was like, we'll just throw everybody out in the first movie, which to me was like, why you're doing that. But I am excited now to see John Stewart mix it up with some of these characters, right? Like, I know Guy Garner's going to show up eventually in lanterns. That's going to be the interesting take. How do they handle him? How does he, because he's goofy, right? And he fits into the goofy tone of Superman. He even fit into the goofy tone when they put him into Peacemaker during that scene. So he fit into both that. How is he going to fit in to this show? Not necessarily. I'm not. saying they can't do it. They very well could. And somebody brought it up in the chat, and I thought a very good point is look at the way they adapted, like, what they did with the Punisher.
Starting point is 00:17:24 From, you go from the Punisher from his Netflix series into the Daredevil series into Spider-Man, significantly different and toned down, right? But to me, still worked pretty well and adapted to that tone. So can you, I think you had a better shot of adapting to the tone with a guy Gardner, because there hasn't been a precedent set for how you're going to adapt to the tone with Gorilla Grod because the Superman universe is this Jimmy Olson
Starting point is 00:17:51 universe, right? So I don't know. We'll see. I'm curious to see. It's a great point on that Punisher thing. You watch that Punisher one shot and you're like, damn, dude, and then how is that going to work? And now all of a sudden he's quipping with Spider-Man and getting a web shot on his mouth, but it worked. So I think the guy, I think it's just, if you place
Starting point is 00:18:08 a character in a lighter situation, let's see. It's going to be on the actor, so how Nathan Phelian will do. Yeah. all right so i'm very curious to what you guys think put your thoughts in there let us know what are you thinking about gorilla grott is this the way to go you're going to give it a shot uh or is this just the wrong way to go in your opinion put your thoughts in there let us know all right we got a lot of stories and some games to play so i figured to tell you guys right now about both final uh both factor and uh ruggiette they're going to get soft and i'm going to
Starting point is 00:18:37 get harder really peel the two days in a row two days in a row come on PLD where's that bubble where's your bubble got Luke this time son of a bitch welcome back everybody it's show 16 for me by the way show 16 oh nice I like that
Starting point is 00:19:07 you know it's funny you know what I was thinking to like or are you still in your your thing reads you still talking about I was going to tell people to make sure that they check the link in the description and I also am going to reiterate that if people don't understand the dynamic between everybody on the show,
Starting point is 00:19:25 whether it's hosts or producers, it's not a democracy when it comes to this. If you say things we don't like, we throw you out, and we'll never see you ever again. People yesterday, people were throwing some comments on it. PLD and I were having fun. And then, you know, fucking some turd on wheels comments. Like, no one's going to see you ever again.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Bye, bye. It's funny, but I'm literally bringing that up. So while comments like that are from people that hide behind the keyboard, I will say, so for me, you notice I'm very active in the comments. I like it to be, I like my show. I'm trying to make it really interactive. I'm active on Discord. I'm active in the comments.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Yeah. Because I want to be part of it. But, you know, there's that famous saying, I think, from either Kevin Smith or Joe Roman, who said it was like, never read the good shit and never read the bad shit. Because all the bad shit, obviously, right? So, you know, there was a comment yesterday that was there and said something about out how I was a feeling like I'm the most self-important geek out there. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:26 And I responded respectfully. I'm like, hey, like, I love to hear why. Like, just I'm always curious. And I'll give a shout out to the guy. I think its name was Vergoat or something. He responded and actually responded respectfully and was like, oh, just when you went on your inner geekdom rant. And then I was able to reply, like, look, I was gone a month.
Starting point is 00:20:45 They were talking about me every day. Like, I had to clap back, you know? But, like, I always think it's fair. Like for me, I like to, I'm trying to get better at this. Yeah, people have conversations and you, and it's intelligent conversations. But he did it respectfully. Like, he did it in the way that you would have, if you saw it during your live show, you would have gotten mad because I think he added an LOL or an MLMA.
Starting point is 00:21:04 So you would have probably got mad. But I will, if he's listening, man, I always appreciate the good and the bad. I'm going to still be in there because I do like to respond and interact people. Chris does a good job of that too. So Chris Carr. But yeah, sometimes you get the bad ones too. I'll embrace them. It happens.
Starting point is 00:21:22 But I know what you were talking about. Like that comment was like, I'm always watching also. Yeah. Gonsky. Gonsky. So the other thing, by the way,
Starting point is 00:21:34 as you were mentioned, it's only fair that, and people don't realize this. When people are talking about like the losses that don't tell Peter's, like all that kind of stuff, like, and you won't see that for seasons upon seasons. We're in the thick of like season three right now.
Starting point is 00:21:47 And this was not a pretty match whatsoever, by the way. There you are, buddy. This is up right now. Mark Ellis and I defending the team titles against Roka and Nost. That's literally going up on the channel today after this. We're approaching the end of season three, approaching the first ever Shmodeown Spectacular. And we're close to 2,000 subscribers on that channel, Kip. My favorite branding of your spectacular was that first one.
Starting point is 00:22:10 It was very, uh, WrestleMania. It was very old school. It was very old school, for sure. I need to start doing it. Like, I have a schedule set up like, uh, then I'm really like, going to start adhering to where I do your shit, my shit, work. Yeah, yeah, we go. Part of that is going to be doing some shorts. And I can do shorts across all, like even newer stuff, right, with celebs and stuff. That was my question. Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely. So Kevin's doing a lot of these things,
Starting point is 00:22:36 which is great. And the other thing he did yesterday, and this is part of the Kickstarter thing, and we'll jump into another story here, is that he cut this together and he's going to be helping us with the Kickstarter video, but check this out. How long have you said, I want to start a YouTube channel and then you just haven't done it. Maybe you don't know what the channel is going to be about if you're thinking about equipment, maybe you're thinking about thumbnails, maybe thinking about titles, or what is your first video even going to be about? And eventually you spent so much time trying to figure everything out that you actually never even hit that record button.
Starting point is 00:23:01 And that's why I created this 40-day creator challenge. I spent years building various YouTube channels, making content, hosting shows, doing interviews, and learning what works, and most importantly, making a lot of mistakes along the way. So over the course of 40 days, I'm going to help you find your niche, build your channel, Figure out your equipment, get comfortable on camera, create thumbnails and titles, understand analytics, and actually publish your videos. You know, this isn't something where I want you sitting around to just watch hours and hours of lessons. You're going to have something to actually do. You're not going to spend 40 days learning how to become a YouTuber.
Starting point is 00:23:38 You're going to spend 40 days becoming it. So if you're waiting to finally start your YouTube channel, this is it. This is the right time. Join me for the 40-day creator challenge, and let's build the channel together. Come on. We'll have a blast. So it's really a great video. And by the way, I even, dude, I just realized I have so many other tricks in the toolbox that I have to transfer over to my new computer.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Well, it was great because it showcased the fact that that's one of the tiers on the Kickstarter. And people go to see that. And now for people who watch this show and have seen that video when they're going through the tiers, when they're announced, they'll, it'll kind of go, oh, that's the thing that they keep showing on the live show. And they'll have a little bit more reference to it. But I showed that Andrew and I showed that I texted you yesterday. Andrew Freed loved that video. I hadn't put it two together that was him. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:24:27 You love that video because we're putting this or our good buddy Aaron Wilhelm cut together a version of like the video and we have and we're doing some things to it and we're moving and we should have that Kickstarter video out. Well, it's got to be out by the time we launch, but we're working on that. And Craig just sent me the tears. So everything's great, man. Everything's moving. Are you going to release that what we just had as a short on your channel too?
Starting point is 00:24:52 I think so, yeah, and I'll have to related, I'll have to put it in the comments. Because I'm trying, I'd like to drive people to see, like, you know, what's going on on the actual page itself. But I want to get to your games in a second. So I want to let's let's get to a few more of these stories because there's. I'm old school on the games today. So it's like five in a gauntlet. So we have a little more time. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:14 What should we do first? Well, you know what? I want to do this one because. We brought this up yesterday about the, you know, the Avengers and how, what it potentially could do and doomsday could break records and could it wind up crossing, you know, that type of money to where it's getting close to $3 billion. Could it break Spider-Man stuff? Well, this is adding a little fuel to the fire. And you've got the doomsday pre-sales have already hit $50 million in pre-sales, which is insane. free sales. Dune's Day is one,
Starting point is 00:25:49 Dune's Day, please don't call it that. Please don't call it that. What? What? Oh, no. Please don't call it. Dune's day. I hate it.
Starting point is 00:25:56 I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hated Barbenheimer and I hate this too. But I'm, you know, I also hated, you know, what was it? What were they used to call J-Lo and?
Starting point is 00:26:07 Benifer. Oh, God. It made me want to drive my head in the wall. And it also made me want to drive my head in the wall because I'm sure I made Ben Ben Affleck want to drive his head in total. Oh, yeah. You said that footage of him shutting the car. door going around and he's in Santa Monica.
Starting point is 00:26:20 And no, and only anybody did. Nobody too. Who would take that except a day when you're not having a good day with your, with your significant other. And he's just like, all right. He was like the worst time,
Starting point is 00:26:31 but the way he shuts the door with the hand. Yeah, he's had enough. He didn't do anything angered. He doesn't, I've had enough. I had, I had absolutely no problem with that video whatsoever. I think that's a serious celebrity.
Starting point is 00:26:41 That's what happens, man. Dude, people just follow him around all the time. And he just likes, The guy just likes to chill. I actually used to see him in LA quite a lot. It's a big dude. It's a big dude.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Anyway, according to Global Box Office, the title has crossed the 40 million more in domestic pre-sells before its release. The first time a film has ever achieved this volume of U.S. advance ticket sales. Spider-Man Brand New Day was 40 million. So he did 10 million more than brand-new day, which you look at what brand-new day is done. And domestic pre-sales are on 40 days out. To be fair, that film didn't have tickets on sale until much closer to its release. hitting the 40 million mark after less than being available. Now, that's fair stat, but doesn't change the stat.
Starting point is 00:27:22 You know what I mean? Pre-sales for Doomsday were first available in July, but limited to PLF screenings. More general tickets became available from mid-August. The numbers come in the wake of directors of the Russo's talking about how they are improvisation-based, rehearsal-based directors, which is why they're able to go into production with an unfinished script. They also cited Sergio Leon's a Canock Western
Starting point is 00:27:43 Once Upon a Time in the West is a particular inspiration for the film, which brings together the old X-Men, new Fantastic for old and new offenders, and bringing back Downey this time as Victor Bond Doom. I'm Doom. According to Boris Kit, Disney has officially announced pre-sales of the film have actually passed the 50 million mark. So carrying on for our conversation yesterday, Cup, what do you think this means? Does this mean?
Starting point is 00:28:08 Because if Spider-Man currently, if I look at Spider-Man brand-new day, I'm with you. We don't have to go over the same points where if it's going to. good because we both agree there. If this movie's good, let's, let's take it that it's, it's received as well as brand new day. Brand new day is currently about 2.4 million, two four billion, excuse me, 2.4 billion. It's 924 domestic, 1.4 international. And so, and it started out of 40,000 in pre-sales.
Starting point is 00:28:39 So Avengers right now won't be the only game in town. A Spider-Man was the only game in town. That's why it has an advantage might still beat out Doomsday. You know, so it was the only game in town. People go, I'd say, I'd say, out of say. I was only this third or fourth week. Yeah. When I mean only game in town, meaning that brand new movies,
Starting point is 00:29:00 it'll have like two or three days ahead of Dune. But I do think those two or three days, as I mentioned, could help word of mouth if it is really solid. Yeah. First question is not, we don't need to hit the three billion question again. because we've already covered that. Does this movie go over $2.5 billion total? In the first run?
Starting point is 00:29:25 Yeah. And it's tracking like 10 million more than Spider-Man. But taking in consideration what they said, that Spider-Man didn't have its tickets on sale in advance the same way that Doomsday does. Well, I'm going to say, I saw, and I, you know, with this day and age, you never know which scooper is right,
Starting point is 00:29:46 but someone else leaked recently that, like, uh, early word around the campus is that doomsday is better than end game or people, like, oh really? Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:57 It could have, it might have, those types of stories. I want to keep coming up or something. Yeah, yeah, those two. But,
Starting point is 00:30:02 um, with that had to start and it's a little bigger. And it's a holiday season, right? Like, I think it could hit 2.4, 2.5 in its first run. Now,
Starting point is 00:30:13 not counting, like, and stuff like that. So you're saying it does. Because yesterday you were torn whether or not it's going to beat Spider-Man. You think it will be- Yes, but that was before. I didn't know that the pre-sales right now for day one is at 53 or whatever it is, right?
Starting point is 00:30:24 Like something crazy, right? It's what they said it's surpassed 50 million. It's first-time movies everything. Passing 50 million and the other one. So you almost want to put that in like a calculator and be like, all right, like judging from how Spider-Man brand new day did and this was their pre-sales versus that, like what would be the odds and stuff like that? I wonder.
Starting point is 00:30:41 PLD, what's the record for, for opening day, like even if it's like a Thursday, what is the record for all-time box office on day? I feel like that. I know what it is. It was Paul Maltop. That makes sense. Sure.
Starting point is 00:30:58 But I think it'll probably be endgame if I was the guess. And I wonder what that number is. Or Infinity War. Didn't Infinity War like with one of those two? One of those two on day one. I mean, brand new days probably has pretty good too. Yeah. So I'm curious.
Starting point is 00:31:15 What do you think? I mean, I got to stick with my prediction. I think I you got to feel like it looks like domestically it's brand new day actually with 169. Wow. $169 million in $369 million on day one. Okay. Before that was end game at $157 million. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Okay. So Spider-Man. Thank you. So Spider-Man, brand new day. Spider-Man 67. Crazy. 167. So that's another question.
Starting point is 00:31:46 Could at 167, is there any world that Doomsday does 200 million on day one? That's that's, that's probably crazy. No. I think the runtime alone prevents that. Well, I mean, again, I push back on that aspect of it because the endgame did, was the number one movie before Brand New Day. And Brand New Day wasn't short. Yeah. I don't think run times have the time.
Starting point is 00:32:16 The only thing that I will say, what runtime does do, because it's going up against Dune, which is also another long movie, that's what limits screens more so than because the movie's long. Because if it didn't have a lot of competition, they just play it in loop with a bunch of other screens. I just wonder, again, PILD,
Starting point is 00:32:40 what is, what is Dune currently tracking at? And what are Dune's opening sales? Like what's, what's, what's Dune's numbers right now? Because I still think, I mean,
Starting point is 00:32:49 I have a double or nothing on, on this, um, this Kaka Mamemi bet that we were in Roka have, though, too, because he changed the, he changed the rules of it, but,
Starting point is 00:32:57 um, what's the Kaka Mamie bet. And I also propped for you using the word kakaami me. Thank you. Um, well, the bet was that there was, I just didn't think Dune was going to make a billion dollars and double
Starting point is 00:33:07 or nothing on the stakes that we, that we had, uh, we already had two steak dinners and I had to double a nothing. to cancel it out. And then he, I said, okay, he said, well, it's got to be good in order for that bet after we made the bet. And I said, well, what's good? How do we know, how do we determine what, what's good?
Starting point is 00:33:24 What's well received? Like, what's, is there a rotten tomato score? And he's like, yeah, it's got to be over 91%. I'm like, what? 91. Like 91%. So I'm, what I really hope happens is that it makes a billion dollars and it's at 88%. Right?
Starting point is 00:33:38 Yeah. Because then I would win or not win, but I just wouldn't lose. So. 91. There's not as many models, but it says it is debuting north of 100 million at this point, which is the highest at the June. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:52 I wonder what it would have done if there was no doomsday there or what it would be doing. So, I wonder. Either way, it's going to do very well. What a great day for the box office, though. Yeah. What a great day to go just to go to the movies. Like, that's going to be, or a great weekend. I just wish that original IPs used to people would go out for those again.
Starting point is 00:34:14 You know, I know they did that with Oppenheimer and I guess Barbie was new IP. Yeah, new IP. You know, some of these movies that come out and you just wish like, you know, you discover new franchises, new IPs. Yeah. Rebel Dawn.
Starting point is 00:34:27 I still haven't seen it yet because I haven't had the heart to because like I like watching something if it's going to launch something, you know. Sure. I'm curious what people, what did you think of it. But, you know, Rebel Dawn just didn't have a shot. And I remember growing up when you would write these stories and I'd be like, this is going to be my, I'm going to write my Star Wars and stuff like that. And, you know, you have to really, it has to either be an existing IP or like a horror movie,
Starting point is 00:34:51 it seems these days. Well, you know the whole story behind that, right? What? Behind Rebel Don. Yeah. Yeah, it was a Star Wars movie. It was a Star Wars movie that he just was doing and then he wasn't doing it anymore. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:35:02 In film school, we did a, I had a Vietnam War movie where a G. I gets held behind. And then our teachers were like, you just did a Civil War movie. So then I pulled a rebel Don. I was like, okay, we'll make the GIs, the Sydenkish, we'll make the Via Kong, and we made a sci-fi movie out of it. That was, so anyway, this is a whole different conversation. But as far as the doomsday goes, very, we're going to be keeping our eye on that one,
Starting point is 00:35:24 because that's going to be, that is going to be a story to come. So I'm very curious to see what people think. Is anybody's mind changing? Because remember when I made the announcement earlier, like five, six months ago, there was no one on my side. No one was. was on my side and everyone thought I was an absolute lunatic for even thinking that that it could approach three billion um do people think I'm as crazy as they did initially or people on my side now
Starting point is 00:35:52 or people think it's not a bad bet but it's still pretty impossible I'm very curious to think what people hear what people say now because I don't I can't remember who was on the show when I said that that day when I'm the first time I ever said it but and I'll tell you I want to make sure that at least my audience if it does hit three billion and somebody else I said this, you know, I said this back in, in August. Someone else says it. And they're like, okay, that guy said it first. Nope.
Starting point is 00:36:17 No crazy idiot said it first except me. Yeah. So. Well, you better get those receipts ready. You better make sure you have that all. Mark and loaded. I'll look into it, especially if it was against Roque. I will.
Starting point is 00:36:31 Right. By the way, Rebel Moon, I want to say. Yeah, not Rebel Dawn. Rebel Dawn was a great novel that introduced us to Canaan, Joris. Yeah, I know. Just don't want you to pull a Winston or mic or whatever about, you know, AI and stuff. Ah, got you.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Um, all right, anyway. So let's, um, let's keep moving on. And I think we're, what time is it? What do it? I want to talk about Matt Reese. Penguin, you want to do you. I think we probably need to do your stories. So let's love to do the Matt Reese.
Starting point is 00:36:59 I don't know what it is. I didn't. No, let's, let's do this. I'll tell you, let's save the penguin story. And PLD and Luke, uh, and Luke, because I want to make sure that we do this moving forward. Because Luke goes through and he puts the description. in before we start, but he'll put in everything that we're, could potentially talk about.
Starting point is 00:37:14 What I don't want to do is leave stories in there in the description that we don't talk about because people come in sometimes and they go, where would you guys, where would you guys that we didn't talk about guys? Because we're going to move forward to Kevin's games now. Just delete them out of the description. What was the TLDR on that? Are they bringing it back or when they're not, right? Um, show.
Starting point is 00:37:36 Well, he re-upped his deal. he re-uped his deal so so the rumor is that maybe he he will present that that goes into the reason why I don't want to cover that right now is because that's a 10 to 15 minute conversation yeah yeah yeah and I think Winston and I can cover that tomorrow it's just that
Starting point is 00:37:52 I still get sad when I think of that last scene with Renzi and Penguin man oh yeah dude you don't even bring that up yeah I'll start crying I know let's let's get to the games all right so should we should we play before we even do it guys just to if you have not already checked it out and you're not following it like i've been telling everybody on
Starting point is 00:38:14 on the trending campaign for kickster oh look he he updated it he updated the the page i actually think this works better let me let me let me show you guys tell me what you did you did they add that sticker to it or did your your team add that sticker they sent they sent the sticker and our team added it um yeah of course yeah so so let's see i'm going to bring it up again because check this out this is pretty cool uh i not only do we have that sticker right there, but they updated it with the, what a fan had done this too, which is amazing.
Starting point is 00:38:45 What do they do? That picture, see that picture? Oh, that's new? That picture's new. It was, it was, it was, it was, it was in black and white. We updated it all the way. Didn't someone say, like, when it's black and white, it looks like you guys have died or it's like something like that.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Yeah, I think Roxy said that or something else said too. But, but yeah, so right now, 2,233. So as I've been mentioned to you guys again, if you aren't following this, please do it. Because if we get 13,000 people put in 25 bucks, we make the show. And you guys, and I'm looking at some of the rewards. He just sent them to me. And they're really solid, man. They're really, really good.
Starting point is 00:39:25 That's great. So, all right, let's get into it. You want to play your opening, PLD? Let's get that. Should we do it? Let's do it. Because audio listeners have no idea what this sound is. This is the logo for.
Starting point is 00:39:36 That's a great menouncery voice right there. If you need a fake DJ radio announcer and you're trending on the car radio. Let me know. I can give you five and ten in the mornings. That's good. Christian. I don't know if PLD put it up. You told me to put it up there.
Starting point is 00:39:56 We were talking yesterday about Rambo versus Dorothy and how AI. Stupidest thing I've ever seen. But the fact, I wish you would have said something better than that, though. I don't know. Yeah, I mean, it's just, it probably just pulls from the script. Yeah, whatever. But yeah, that was definitely one of those food talk hammy who. So stupid. Speaking of happy answers, I'm excited for today's games because Luke is back into the chair of doing the graphics. And we know sometimes Luke will just set it and forget it. So I'm excited to see if there'll be a crazy AI looking character in one of the images. All right. Let's see what we go.
Starting point is 00:40:30 We will start first with the gauntlet. All right. For those who forget what the gauntlet is, I will list. Don't start making jokes. I will list a musical theme. And when I get to a musical theme that is better than the theme that I say, he will just... I forget. Now, you put me on this, but then I get nervous about it. Basically, I'll start with the theme.
Starting point is 00:40:50 We're going to start with Halloween. If you have any questions of which music it is, we get... Perfect, exactly. So I'll say Halloween. And then when I say the next movie, if it's better than Halloween, he'll say the next movie. And it's the gauntlet. Which gauntlet, which musical theme should survive? You're going to get a copyright strike, bro.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Holy shit. Take that. I'm going to report you to YouTube. Okay, ready? Here we go. So this is the gauntlet. Thankfully, I have the fan on, so I can't hear those low-level rumbling sound effects.
Starting point is 00:41:23 I'm kind of innocent. Is that you or is it? Saul would like me to explain it again, so I will. So in this gauntlet, you will start with a musical theme, and if I say a musical theme better, that takes the new gauntlet lead and you know we're just going to continue on we're going to just figure it out
Starting point is 00:41:51 are we ready? Are you pissing yourself over there? All right, let's go. Also, there are other themes I forgot. If you say it in the chat and I catch it, I will throw it on there for you if it's a super chat.
Starting point is 00:42:07 I won't be able to see the other ones. So if you haven't in mind, but I have a ton here so we're going to find out. And you're right. I do take forever to explain because now I'm even I'm annoying myself. You just made yourself fall asleep. The only guy that can just, don't worry about your parents when you're younger,
Starting point is 00:42:29 now I'm good. I'll put myself to sleep. I'm just going to tell myself a story. I'm just going to talk to myself about what I did today. It'll take me about 12 hours to do it. Two-year-old in my crib, like, I got it. Don't worry. I'm just going to talk to about it.
Starting point is 00:42:47 myself. I'm just going to talk to her. What are you going to say? It doesn't matter. I just thought I'll talk to her how to make a peanut butter sandwich, but it'll take me about 27 minutes. All right. Explain how to play gauntlet right now, and it's concise. Let me see how good you can explain it. Go ahead. No, no, come on a board. That literally, we have 15 minutes now to play the whole game. What are you talking about? Fine. All right, here we go. Best musical themes,
Starting point is 00:43:14 super chat and if you want to add one of yours we're going to start with and this is the main theme right there i know there's many many themes but it's arguably what the main theme is so we're going to start with Halloween okay all right take it easy or psycho and i'm going with the shower like the ringreeree Halloween because you you have to explain it you don't have to explain like the perfect example right there what you said to me when you're like Halloween I got it then and then and then and And cycle, you're like, I'm like, what's the cycle? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, I recognize it immediately.
Starting point is 00:43:49 But the more recognizable and the one that stands out, the more Halloween. Wow. Okay. You think that would be the more iconic one, though, if you were like, talk to, yeah. All right. So we have Halloween and the Pink Panther theme. What's a good one? But I still take Halloween because I don't know if the Pink Panther theme has aged along with younger generations.
Starting point is 00:44:09 I think that, I think, you know, it depends if you do the 70s. 80s, 70s, Pink Panther wins, I think, because Halloween was starting to build momentum. But there's been new movies, successful movies with Halloween that younger generations know. So I would say Halloween. Halloween or Beverly Hills Cop, Axel F. It's a good one.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I'll actually go with the Axel F because that actually turned, the reason why, because I see PLD shaking his head like he just goes, balls caught in a bear trap. But I think that what it actually, the reason why, take it is that I think that that song of Beverly Hills cop carried over into other songs and music and people who know it don't even necessarily know where it comes from but I think that it is I think it's been used so many different times in different songs that it probably would be more recognizable it's almost like an anthem for the 80s yeah Beverly Hills cop or
Starting point is 00:45:04 da da da da da da da da da da da predator Beverly Hills cop predator is great predator is great da da da da da yeah I know I I know it well. Now, are we saying what's more popular or which one I'm saying for you just, the best musical theme? I'm not trying to speak. I haven't, I haven't been ranking it that way. I've been ranking it. I've been ranking it more so what I think is the more popular. What do you think is the right, the best route with that? Let's do more popular. Let's do more popular. And I'll just give which one I like better. Because I like, I like, I like them both. I like Predator better. But I think that Beverly Hills Cop is more popular. Yeah. So we're going to still. Yeah. That's what I feel like that's the way you did the, the original one was the name a better movie than the Dark Night, right? Yeah. I would, I would say the more popular. that, you know, more people would recognize.
Starting point is 00:45:46 We'd do with that. Yeah. Yeah. So Beverly Hills Cop continues. Yeah. The song? That's the main theme. If there's something strange.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Ghostbusters. That's used in Halloween and other things. It's all over the place, playlist. And it's, yeah, definitely Ghostbusters. Let's go a little Rick Flair style. Ghostbusters or 2001, a space odyssey. That's another one that, similar to, what I said with Beverly Hills cop
Starting point is 00:46:15 is just recognized as well as Rick Flair you know it's it's recognized but I still I'll go with my previous thing I think that Ghostbusters is continuously used on holidays and other things and it comes back up and the way that home alone as a movie keeps coming
Starting point is 00:46:31 back up over and over and over again that people will never forget it that's the same thing with Ghostbusters so Ghostbusters I think Chad agrees with you all right Ghostbusters or Conan the Barbarian Ghostbusters Scroion just hasn't aged, you know, with generations too. And it's good, Basil, right?
Starting point is 00:46:49 I think Polidaris did that one. Great theme, but it's not as recognizable as the other ones that you brought up. Ghostbusters or X-Men. And I'm talking the theme from X-2 and Days of Feature Past. Not the animated series. Yeah, not the animated series. We take a lot. I know.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters. I can't even necessarily. When I watch X-Men movies, it'll come. back but it is that John ottman yeah yeah yeah I got it John Otman right oh man it's good it's real good but it goes into the door and stuff Ghostbusters was way more iconic than John Otman did the first yeah and John
Starting point is 00:47:28 Otman did that theme and Michael Kaman did the theme for the first movie and it wasn't that good oh okay um Ghostbusters or James Bond now we go James Bond yeah yeah because James Bond it James Bond has has been around for very long time and it also not only does do they continuously make new movies um they use it in a lot of different songs and stuff too so that i think that i think james bond might go get a while may go deep in here yeah he has he probably with a lot of this lot of bond girls uh james bond or robocop don't think no robocop is robocop is great i love the robocop team that's one of my i actually have it on my playlist. It's so good, but it's not, it's not more iconic than James Bond.
Starting point is 00:48:15 James Bond or Mission Impossible. That's a good one. If we're talking today, if we're talking today, I'd have to say Mission Impossible because, yeah, just because my same argument about younger generations, if you played Bond and you played Mission Impossible to kids in their, I don't know, anywhere from my 13 to 20 years old, I bet most of them all know Mission Impossible. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Mission Impossible taking out 007. Yeah. I love this theme. I use it in my Cotor movies a lot. Mission Impossible or Starship Troopers. Mission Impossible. Starship Troopers are good. If I heard it, I'd be like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:03 Yeah, yeah. A lot of my comments, we use it for whenever the Ebenhawk escapes out of a dire situation. We have the Starship Troopers. and I get comments every day to this day. Like they'll tap the number. They'll be like, Starship Troopers. I'm so curious how old this person is. Because every kid, we know because of Golden Eye,
Starting point is 00:49:22 you think a 13-year-old plays GoldenEye? Oh my God. I love that game. It's great. It was one of the best games of all time. And they re-released it, by the way. Did they? Did they?
Starting point is 00:49:32 Did it do well? Maybe that's what he's talking about. I don't know. Well, he's referring to that, GoldenEye. They did like a perfect recreation of it for modern consoles. I don't know if it was perfect. No, I know the video game.
Starting point is 00:49:41 I played it. All right. So Mission Impossible or Kaiser's least favorite movie, Rudy. Rudy's got a great theme, but it's not more iconic. It's a great theme, but it's not more iconic. It's a great theme, but it's not more iconic. It's Jerry Goldsmith. I think I won a match on that one.
Starting point is 00:49:57 He did. Oh, nice. I lost, don't tell Peter on that when Jerry Goldsmith's Star Trek themes. Or he had to, Mike had to list all the Star Trek movies. Yeah, Bond. James Bond or Pirates of the Caribbean Oh no not Bond Mission Impossible
Starting point is 00:50:13 Mission Impossible or Pirates of the Caribbean It's a good It's a good one But it's not more iconic than Mission Impossible Impossible or Gladiator These are all great things This goes back to your previous question Gladiator is one of my favorite themes of all time
Starting point is 00:50:34 but you would not even just younger people if you lined up 50 people at least 40 of them would get Mission Impossible and I don't know how many of them would get Gladiator so I would think only 10 or 15 right I do like honor him the track honor him on Gladiator's great and they re-git it in Gladiator 2 and it was so cool
Starting point is 00:50:54 Mission Impossible right? Mission Impossible or Jaws. Jaws is used to just scare people no matter what. It's like, it's two notes. Yeah. And you just,
Starting point is 00:51:09 dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun you just know like my I remember when my oldest when she didn't see hadn't seen Jaws. She was very little, but we said once something about Jaws and I just go, she's like, oh, it's Jaws team. Like just that, yeah,
Starting point is 00:51:25 Jaws. I think there's a cool story behind that too if people want to Google and dig it up of when Spielberg first heard that theme. Like I think he went into that. meeting thinking he was going to get something way more elaborate and then it was just like, here it is. It was like perfect. Jaws and another Spielberg movie,
Starting point is 00:51:42 E.T. It's great. It's a great theme, but it's not more iconic than Jaws. You should hear it on the Atari 2,600. It's great. It's a great theme. It's a great theme. And it's more elaborate than Jaws. Yeah, it's Jaws or Gremlins. I love that theme. You know that I used to play that for J.T.
Starting point is 00:52:03 when he would make appearances on the show. No. Whenever he would show up, I would play the, I would play the, on Shmode out or does Shmo's? No, just Shmo's, no. He would, he would show up and I'd be,
Starting point is 00:52:12 dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun,
Starting point is 00:52:15 there's another Jerry Goldsmith, isn't it? I couldn't, I couldn't tell you on that one. I thought it was Jerry Goldsmith. They should add that to the inner geekdom, PJ, if you're listening.
Starting point is 00:52:25 And, John, Jaws is the answer. Um, interstellar. This is something. So, Jaws are interstellar. This is for this generation.
Starting point is 00:52:32 I think a lot of people. It is, but it's the same, here's the difference. If you played that theme to this generation, because that theme plays on Instagram videos and TikTok videos, but they would probably guess that it's from TikTok and Instagram, more so than the movie. They're not just recognizing it as opposed to when you play Jaws, people go, that's Jaws.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Yeah, they would be like, oh, that's from a TikTok video where someone was opening up their morning coffee. Yeah, it's Jaws. Mike Kalanowski would have comments on that. He can chime in about that. It's great. The interstellar theme is amazing. Jaws or Braveheart?
Starting point is 00:53:08 Braveheart's one of my favorite scores of all time. Yeah, I need this. For me, if we were doing it in favorites, I don't know what would beat it, except I'm sure you're going to have something in a little bit that will probably beat it, but it would be my favorite. But if we're talking, our rules that we set up,
Starting point is 00:53:26 Jaws is more iconic than Braves. Jaws or Willow. D-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d. Great thing. And they actually used that. I remember going to movies when they would promo other stuff. They would use that all of the time. And they use it for other trailers.
Starting point is 00:53:42 But it's Jaws. They would also use Bruce Lee's story. I forget the name of that dragon, the Bruce Lee story. And they would use the Braveheart. Sorry, the Willow theme and also the Dragon Heart theme in all these, like, trailers. Yes, yes, yes. I remember that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:57 I am the last one. Okay. we're Jaws, right? We're still at Jaws. Jaws or Forrest Gump. Oh, that's a good one too. Yeah, it's a great theme. People,
Starting point is 00:54:11 Alan Sylvester, it's a great theme. Yeah. If this would have come up before Jaws, it would probably have been up the list there, but we're going more iconic. It's Jaws. Jaws or Schindler's list. Jaws.
Starting point is 00:54:28 Powerful music. Powerful music. Jaws or Titanic. Jaws. Titanic's a good theme, real good theme. And that is one. That theme also has become very popular on Instagram and TikTok. Oh yeah, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:54:45 They used it in different things, the Celine Dion, belting it out and stuff too. Yeah, that's the closest one that came to overthrowing Jaws, but Jaws. And I still get teary-eyed when she's in heaven, and she goes back and everybody who died on the boat is clapping for her and he jacks at the top of the stairwell like with the theme blaring. Well, I have this on just because I couldn't not. It's my favorite movie of all time.
Starting point is 00:55:11 But Jaws or Glory, I'm sure we're getting. Glory is a great theme. Great theme. And another one that they used for a lot of different trailers. Yeah. But Jaws. And another thing that they used in Avatar because the climbing set sequence, same composer, he literally took the glory theme and added tribal drums
Starting point is 00:55:28 it that's the next one we have jaws or avatar avatars i love the avatar my my the what's it called the tree and one of the last scores james whirner did before he passed um yeah but there's a really great bunch of music in that and the avatar stuff but um jaws yeah i think of the avator score my stepmom who passed away in 2009 that was like the last movie we watched with her uh so that big when i hear that music i think of her and stuff um Jaws or rest in peace, Cron, Jaws or the Terminator theme. It's a great one.
Starting point is 00:56:06 I think you could add a little of your, I don't want you to still rely on like what's iconic to, I think you think that we have to stick with it. We had to go back, we retroactively change things if I didn't. Yeah, no, you're right. I think we got to go with the more popular right now. And we just make that, we're going to do a short out of it. We just, what's the more popular theme?
Starting point is 00:56:26 I would say Jaws is the more popular over Terminator. Yeah. Jaws. Okay. Now, I mean, we're going to get, it's getting in good now. I just see this. Yeah. Jaws or the Top Gun anthem. I love that anthem. Um, but it's still Jaws, but top. No way. Dude, Top Gun is, is super popular. When's the last Jaws movie released, Christian? Doesn't matter. Jaws the revenge in like 19, whatever. That's, that's, that's all, that's my point. Oh, yes. I just made your point. Because Jaws hasn't been released, a movie hasn't been released since like 1987 and that theme just people know it immediately uh but ron in the chat saying jaws might be unbeatable
Starting point is 00:57:03 there's a couple here that i think you're going to really test it yeah this one i think that's that's if if he put it in there then it's definitely it's definitely yeah uh star trek done that da da dun dun dun it's a good one but uh jaws jaws or gone with the wind da da da da no no jaws you guys like my humming Jaws or Rambo. Oh man, I love that theme. That is Jerry Goldsmith. And it's Jaws. So good, dude.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Especially when he's breaking out and, oh, man, I love the goosebumps again. I'm a huge music guy. I know that Christian is too. Jaws or Rocky. Rocky. Rocky, okay. I figured that was going to be the one to be. We need to have AI do a picture of
Starting point is 00:57:52 Rocky fighting jobs. Rocky's been used on tremendously through sports and that is another one that just carries over the same way through. It is just super iconic. Plus the fact as where I said Jaws hasn't done anything in 87, Rocky has. I mean, they even used it in Creed because it was so recognizable in the first Creed that when it pops up there, you just know that inspirational thing. I love it. Bill Conti just made something really iconic, yeah. But I was talking about the Rocky 4.
Starting point is 00:58:23 I'm just kidding. Rocky or Back to the Future. I think Future is a good one. That's a good one. But if you go over iconic, Back to the Future would have been up there for a lot of these things. Yeah. But even in my mind,
Starting point is 00:58:36 I'm going, I have to try to, oh yeah, I can get it pretty quick. Rocky just there. Yeah. I wonder if like when I set these up, I try to send them up making them like the mid card to like the main event.
Starting point is 00:58:47 Yeah, no, it's good. You put some of the tougher ones up top. either way it was good but I would say Rocky. Rocky or the godfather. Good one too. You put this in the 80s and
Starting point is 00:59:02 back to back against each other. That's a heavyweight man. If you put now, if you're asking me, if you ask me this question in Queens, then it's the godfather. But if you're asking me overall, I would say Rocky.
Starting point is 00:59:20 Rocky or Paul Blart, Malkop. Just kidding. Rocky or that's two mall cop jokes I made today. Rocky, I don't know why that's on in my brain. Rocky or Lord of the Rings. I whistle that one quite often. Or the Hobbit theme even.
Starting point is 00:59:37 I love, nah. I love Lord of the Rings. I love it. Here's the thing though when people are answering this in the chat though, too. You're answering it as movie fans like that no and probably seen a million times over to just everyone, the populace. Yes. What is the more iconic theme? It's Rocky.
Starting point is 00:59:54 You're 100%. Rocky or, I love this theme so much, but there's no shot. But Man of Steel. Man of Steel's great. Rocky. Rocky or the Dark Knight Nolan theme. Great. Rocky.
Starting point is 01:00:08 Rocky or the Batman, the recent Matt. The Batman? I mean, that's taken from the Nirvana song, which I loved what Michael Giacchino did there. But I would say Rocky. Yeah. Yeah, it's great. I should just listen to that this one. morning. Yeah. I have such a fond memory of that movie because it was the last ever IG movie I watched before the finale. And then I spun Batman and got it. And there were two the Batman questions on that. Oh yeah. You tell me that. Yeah. Had I not watched it the night before with Kaiser? I don't know if I would have been able to pull it. I hadn't seen it many times. Um, so we're still, uh, with Rocky. Rocky or Batman 89. That's such a great theme. Um, same question or same answer that I think like what has stood the test of time to movie.
Starting point is 01:00:51 fans people will get Batman 89 right away to the casual populace Rocky people yeah Rocky it's like if someone's never seen the movie but there's a fit footage of them finishing a marathon they might sing to the camera like dun dun da da da nah like you know because like they don't know even what they're singing at this most people even if you haven't seen Rocky if you go then tan dun dun dun dun dun dun and then and then and uh Rocky they'll guess it right away if you if you start humming Batman 89 to them if they've never they wouldn't know what the hell it was even if they didn't say it I almost want to Rocky in like the winners category.
Starting point is 01:01:23 There's one. There's one that I would battle with. Superman 78? Or the Superman. That would have been a tough one in the 80s to battle with. But I just think because there's been so many Superman themes since that Rocky, there has not been, you know,
Starting point is 01:01:42 various Rocky themes. So I would say, I'd say Rocky. What would you pick between Batman 89 and the Superman theme? What do you, Superman they're like, James Gunn's even brought up back with the guitar version. Sure, that's a good point.
Starting point is 01:01:55 That's a good point. It is absolutely an iconic theme that everybody knows. There's no doubt about it. It just overall, I mean, it could win. Superman 70 could win, and I wouldn't chastise anybody for choosing it. Yeah. I just feel that it's more generational and more things into Reeved rock. Don't forget the Joss Cut had it in Justice League.
Starting point is 01:02:19 Everybody used it. Everybody is. It easily could win. I just don't think that I think, I think because of the sports element and the amount of people that have used Rocky over. Yeah. Whatever broadcast and things too. And I mean, yeah. I mean,
Starting point is 01:02:33 Rocky or Spider-Man 2002, the Ramey ones. Rocky. Rocky or the Avengers. See, it's a tough one because of today, but I would still say Rocky. Rocky or I have James Bond there twice. Sorry. Rocky or the Harry Potter theme. That one, that's not an easy one.
Starting point is 01:02:56 That's not an easy one. But they're not using it in the new show. I would assume they're not. I would think that, I think that's dumb. And the game didn't either. The game did not use the Harry Potter. They're not using the theme, but they're making it look exactly the same. Yeah, it looks like an AI like re-skin.
Starting point is 01:03:12 Yeah, I would say Rocky. Rocky or Jurassic Park. That's tough. There's two of them, too. It's like, you have the all-inspiring one with the Brachiosaurus, or the Brachiosaurus, but then you have the helicopter one. Do you know that Rock, that Jurassic Park is a bit of a riff off of the Disney Peter Pan song? No, I'll have to look into that.
Starting point is 01:03:40 You can fly, you can fly, you can fly. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Love that. I love that. I love it. I love it. Side note, today I learned there was a movie called,
Starting point is 01:03:51 something for the Incas with Charlton Heston and he played Indiana Jones basically before Indiana Jones. Like fedora, jacket, he's a treasure hunter. It's really interesting. I would say Rocky over Jurassic Park. Rocky over Jurassic Park.
Starting point is 01:04:06 Rocky or Indiana Jones. Man. Rocky, but a little. Rocky is edging it out. Rocky or the room. That's the joke. That was my joke that I had planned. All right.
Starting point is 01:04:24 There's one more. I feel like you said there's one that could beat it. It's got to be it. I feel like this is that game where I'm reading your mind. Is it Rocky or is it Star Wars? Star Wars. Star Wars, final boss takes out Rocky. I mean, everybody knows that.
Starting point is 01:04:40 I mean, everybody knows that. And even you're not a fan of Star Wars. You know Star Wars immediately. I can say there's multiple themes that are in there that would be. Totally. Darth Vader's. I like, I like how you have to pop your head over the banner.
Starting point is 01:04:51 my favorite part of this whole way. Yeah, hey, do this where you're like putting your, do this where you're like pulling your hands up. Yeah, like, yeah, you're like a neighbor. I figured it out. Of course, he chimes in. Where's the shit in the bag? Do you find that yet?
Starting point is 01:05:04 All right, there you go. Star Wars is the big winner, the big boss at the end. Yeah, that was Star Wars. I mean, because there's just been so many just generations that I've heard the Star Wars theme that's continue on. It's the same thing that is the same argument I make though. If someone chose Rocky over Star Wars, I wouldn't, I wouldn't say you're crazy.
Starting point is 01:05:21 See, this is where I wonder in the design. I don't know, though, man. I don't know, though. If you put, like, the Rocky theme to Star Wars theme to a bunch of people, I think it just depends on the group of people you got that day. Yeah, I feel like rock. Yeah. I know.
Starting point is 01:05:35 But I'll take Star Wars. I am in, what do you think, like the design of this, right? We did the Dark Night one, which did very well. And I started with the Dark Night and nothing beat it, right? I wonder if we had started at the top with, like, Star Wars, or is that not fun? Or, like, you start. No, but, yeah, I like, I like, hey, you put the, you put the, you put the one you think that would win towards the end.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Yeah, you kind of have a couple mid-card battles. Yeah. All right, that is a gauntlet, and we'll just go into the games now. We only have five of them today, so. But see, but this is, see, but this depends on what, you know, what do you, but that, this is, this, I don't know how you're answering this. Yoschimitsu, Rocky is so far down the list on what you think you like or what you think is popular, because that's the rules that we have.
Starting point is 01:06:12 It's not what you like the best. What you think is the best. It's what is the most iconic and recognizable. So maybe you still feel that way, but I'm just saying, just make sure when you're writing that that that's that's why those shorts always do well because people all have their opinion they're going to get halfway through it and be mad that you chose james bond or you know what i mean right right all right all right all right all right all right all right all right all right so far so good he's nailing it i was hoping there'd be something crazy uh christian yeah you find a treasure map
Starting point is 01:06:45 but only one movie character known for treasure seeking is also hunting it would you rather race to the treasure, Jack Sparrow, Laura Croft or Indiana Jones, who do you have your best shot at beating to the treasure? We're talking about today. I'm choosing Indiana Jones. The guy can barely walk up and fight of stairs. And I don't like the sidekick. He's at the old man home right now.
Starting point is 01:07:08 And the sidekicks he's choosing. I can beat them out. Okay, how about them in their peak? In their prime, or I put it back up in their prime. In their prime, Jack Sparrow, because he probably, I might get lucky and you can take this off to them. But I might get
Starting point is 01:07:24 lucky and find him on a day that he's drunk and passed out. The other two are, the other two are just way more dedicated. Yeah, and the other two, like you have Lara Croft and Indiana Jones that are, they're not drinking on the job. But well, Indy will. And they're prime Marion dies and explosion, but. Right. Because Sparrow's still in his prime, but he falls asleep a lot.
Starting point is 01:07:40 So the other two in their prime, they're just, they're not backing off. If the three, so if the three of them had a treasure race, who do you think would win? So it's basically between Indian Laura. I think Andy would win. I think Andy would win. I think Laura, right? She has more technology in the tech.
Starting point is 01:07:57 I don't know. He's just, Indie was fine. Inni was finds a way through like the spiritual shit and everything else too. That's true. He had time travel. Time travel dealt with aliens. Flew around a refrigerator. He's immortal if he would have stayed behind that seal.
Starting point is 01:08:14 Yeah. Hey, question for you. Did you like Unchartered? I finally watched that for the first time. I liked it as. an adventure movie. I didn't like it as an uncharted movie. Okay, so you were a big fan of the game, so you had a couple problems with it. It did not do justice to the game, and I like Tom Holland a lot. He's a terrible choice for... See, I never played the game. Yeah, Mark Wahlberg. I was like, dude, this is awesome. If you've never seen, know nothing about the game, and that's, it's, it's a fun
Starting point is 01:08:40 adventure movie, and people who are judging it because it's a video, because it's not like the game, I get it, but as a movie is a reason why it did well. It was a fun adventure movie. It's just not a Uncharted movie at all. Tom Holland, by the way, it was a huge gamer. I was looking it up. He used to play the game. He would play the game on the sense.
Starting point is 01:08:57 Yeah, and Mark Wahlberg should not have been Sully. He was only given Sully because originally he was cast as Drake, but then he aged out of it. Oh, wow. And then they were like, well, why don't you play Sully? He doesn't look like Sully at all.
Starting point is 01:09:13 Well, he's a young Sully. I know Sully. He said he'd come back. He said a sequel, they would have a mustache. As a gamer, dude, you should play those. those games. You'll change your tune quick. I am not a gamer and I love those games. Here we go. This is going on that breakfast club thing we had. And I have a theme for each one of them. Let me see if you can guess what the theme are. Five superheroes are stuck together for one
Starting point is 01:09:35 Saturday in attention breakfast club style. Which group would give you the best movie. Okay. So you have option one. You have Deadpool, Spider-Man, Harley Quinn, She-Hulk, and Wolverine. That theme for me is Wolverine would just drive himself mad with all these quips and all these guys make a joke at everything. You have Gambit, Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne, Johnny Storm, and Wonder Woman. What do you think the theme of that movie is? Who's trying to bang Wonder Woman? All the pimps, all the alpha males. You have
Starting point is 01:10:02 Gene Gray, Emma Frost, Charles Xavier, Martian Manhunter, and then Drax. That theme is all the crazy mind, crazy things, and then you have Drax, it's just an idiot. Yeah. And then finally, all of our siblings, right? You got Loki, you got Yelena, Nebula, Gamora, and Black Widow.
Starting point is 01:10:20 Which makes the best movie, which makes the best Big Brother House, basically. Probably option one. You're probably getting the most jokes out of it. And you probably get, you know, you're looking, you got two heavy hitters in, if you're looking at box office, in Deadpool and and Spider-Man, right? So people are going to go check that out for sure. Then the dynamic you have with Wolverine and Deadpool and Harley Quinn, if it's Margo Robbie, people can be showing up for her.
Starting point is 01:10:45 So I'd say, I'd say, you know, you got a bunch of box office draws. If you're looking at it monetarily, business-wise, it's optional. Yeah. Red carpet talk. The theme for that first one I tried to build was like the funny quips like Spider-Man Deadpool, Harley Quincy, they're all breaking the fourth wall, making jokes. And Wolverine would be sitting there wanting to pull his hair and his chop, mutton chops out of his face. Good call.
Starting point is 01:11:07 All right. Yeah, that would be good. I would like to see who would win in a bachelor-style contest between Tony Stark Gambit, Bruce Wayne, and Johnny Storm. Yeah. For the heart of Wonder Woman. Here we go. Now, I have examples of this. on my notes, but you won't see it.
Starting point is 01:11:20 Okay. This is actually from a Discord. You guys, I do read all the discords. The Discord, they give suggestions on the channel, which I'm always appreciative of that. And this was from my friend, our friend, A-Sol, who gave me this last week right after the show, and I was excited for it.
Starting point is 01:11:36 Which year is the best year for superhero movies? I have more examples than just provided, Christian. So I'll rattle off for you. 2008 had Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, the Dark Knight, Hancock, Hellboy, 2, the Golden Arm. 2014 had Kaiser's favorite movie, the Winter Soldier, the Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men Days of Future Pass, one of my favorites, Guardians of the Galaxy, Big Hero 6th, 2017.
Starting point is 01:11:59 We got Logan, Gardens of the Galaxy, Volume 2, Spider-Man, Homecoming, Thor, Ragnarok, Wonder Woman, Justice League. And then 2018 is Black Panther, Avengers Infinity War, Deadpool 2, Ant Man and the Wasp, Venom, Spider-Man, Spider-Man, and Aquaman. I think that you, here, take that off for saying. What's that? I think it cemented it with 2018. I think because when you said all those movies
Starting point is 01:12:27 you were listing off, I'm like, yeah, not bad, that one was pretty good. That one was pretty great. And then you put the Spiderverse in there too, having Spider-Verse plus Infinity War at the same time. Yeah. I think that cemented it. I think it was 2018. Yeah, 2018.
Starting point is 01:12:42 I mean, 2008 was pretty. They were all great. They were all those. Iron Man launching the MCU, if you think that, the dark night. All those years. all of those years were, could, you make an argument for all of them, but it just when you, once you said Spider-Verse with the rest of those movies, like those are, I mean, there's an Oscar winner right there, you know, got some, and then what Infinity War did in general for setting up. Yeah, I think 2018. I mean, Black Panther was killing. Black Panther, yeah, Black Panther. Black Panther was huge. Yeah. Totally.
Starting point is 01:13:10 And you have the art style, too, of like Spider-Man into Spider-Verse. They made, like, did big swing that was great. Yeah. Yeah. Good call. I wonder in the chat. 2013 PCR. Yeah. Man of Steel is one of my favorites. I love The Wolverine. There's a couple little stinkers on that year, too. But yeah, that was one that I thought about putting it on there, too. So thanks to A. Saul for that one. And we're going to go on to our next question.
Starting point is 01:13:31 Thanks again to Luke for making these. You can save one legendary director's biggest box office bomb by replacing its star with any actor that are listed here. Okay. So Cutthroat Island was a disaster, right? What happens if you put Tom Cruise in it? Arnold Schwarzenegger is in John Carter. Leonardo DiCaprio stars in the lone ranger.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Harrison Ford is put in Waterworld instead of Kevin Costner. Or Tom Holland is in Hugo. We're talking probably a younger Tom Holland, obviously. Which movie would benefit the most from the star power and maybe saved it box office. Did Hugo not do well? Yeah, I did a list of, I was trying to figure out list of like that was, it didn't. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:15 I could be wrong, but I feel like that was under-performed. To me, there's only one answer. And I'll start by saying that, um, is it Taylor Kitch who is in John? Taylor Kitsch, yeah. Was not bad in John Carter. Was not bad.
Starting point is 01:14:33 And guess what? That movie was not bad. I loved it. The rest of those movies, I don't know if you change the star power if it does anything for it. Yeah. If you change the star power and put Arnold back at that point in time, I don't, I mean, he was a little older.
Starting point is 01:14:51 So we're talking, we're talking like a prime Arnold, like, during, you know, if somebody would have made that movie, the same movie like in like the 90s, it's Arnold all day long. Yeah. I mean, it's essentially kind of a total recall type of movie. But yeah, but if you have him doing that, that would, that's the only time that star power would be able to save it. The rest of those movies, it wasn't a star power problem.
Starting point is 01:15:13 And I don't even necessarily know if John Carter was a star power problem, but it would have helped because Taylor Kitch was unknown. the rumor that if John Carter would have done well, they would have never bought Star Wars, that they were trying to launch their own thing. And then when that failed, they're like, all right, if we can't beat them, join them.
Starting point is 01:15:26 Interesting. They bought Star Wars. Interesting. I do think Tom Cruise going into Cutthroat Island. I mean, Tom Cruise at that time, I think could have saved that. Because I'm trying to think who the mail lead was on that. I know you had Gina Davis, right?
Starting point is 01:15:37 No, that was 1492. No, that was, that was Cutthroat Island. Yeah. It was, it was Matthew Deneodeon? Yeah. It was Matthew Dene, right? It was Matthew Modeon. and uh yeah it was a good matth me dean davis and frank langela so yeah i mean i think if you're
Starting point is 01:15:53 really trying to break it down to brass tax and numbers tom cruise would be a significant upgrade over matthew modine for that cutthroat and i wonder how water world would have done with harrison ford i mean kevin costner was a star but like harrison he was to remember he direct but he didn't he direct no he did not no he did not um kevin costner i forget who but i remember he did not Costner at that time, though, was a pretty big star. I don't know about anything necessarily to do with star power as much as it was just kind of... You know, all these movies would have benefited from The Rock. Remember when the Rock was like...
Starting point is 01:16:28 Right, yeah. Box Office Viagra, yeah. Yeah. Not anymore. Ooh, Waterworld with Tom Cruise, Princess Positive. Go surprise your channel, by the way. She's a beautiful voice. But Princess Positive says Waterworld...
Starting point is 01:16:40 Tom Cruise would be interesting. Yeah, maybe. All right, we got one more. Christian, this is just fun. In celebration of the NFL season starting on a Wednesday night. last night, which I hate. Jeez, why is it? So many, like, keep it to Thursday and Sunday and Monday.
Starting point is 01:16:53 But you could play one, you have to play one NFL position for an entire game, Christian, but you can't get injured. What you could play either as QB, running back, wide receiver, offensive lineman, or kick returner. So, yeah, that's the kicker. The kick returner. The kick returner, which gives you the best chance of surviving the whole game. I have some thoughts.
Starting point is 01:17:15 I shared this with Saul and Kaiser. They had some funny. Yeah, I got an easy one for me. Okay. Because I was, initially I was going to say, I was going to say, the kicker because,
Starting point is 01:17:27 because you said kick returner. It's kick returner, yeah. You can get destroyed. If it's just, all you have to do is play in the game and not get hurt, right? Yes, not get hurt and you get 10 million. Receiver. What?
Starting point is 01:17:41 Kick return. Go away for a second. Go away for a second. And I'll tell you why. don't throw it to me that's all I would do don't throw it to me I'm just gonna run
Starting point is 01:17:55 I'm gonna be you know you're but you're expected okay fun now here's where you die and you lose they do a rant they do a handoff you're on the right side now you're expected to block this safety that's running at you a 50 miles per hour
Starting point is 01:18:07 you gotta block it for the running back there are a lot of people who get paid a lot of money who blocked for shit and I would be one of those people that day you just get knocked that's it Kaiser uh he said O line he can get knocked on his ass at clones range all day. I feel like an O line.
Starting point is 01:18:20 I mean, they'd be pulling you because he keep getting sack after sack. But O line, no one's getting that running start on you. If you can do the fair catch thing, they'll appeal. He's probably right. That was salt. Yeah, you probably want to do that. You just got a fair catch it all day. But if you don't want to be a pussy, then that's how you're going.
Starting point is 01:18:36 Yeah, you know what I would do? I would just do quarterback and take a knee all the whole time. I'll be a pussy for $10 million. That's fair. I love some of the chats. giving funny ones, referee, cheerleader. You guys all crack me up. I love it. So that's the Smet's games. Good. It was good ones.
Starting point is 01:18:53 Two back to back. I like it. All right. So let's see, because Kevin had those back to back, let's get them the win because I think right now, I'm double checking and we'll see what, um, yesterday we don't have your numbers yet, what you and Kaiser did, but we do have what. I kind of know the numbers. I was so
Starting point is 01:19:09 curious before I signed off, because you could highlight all the starred. I highlighted them and I sent them into, yeah, but it doesn't necessarily. It gave me an early total. doesn't necessarily work like that. Yeah, I'm just wondering in what ballpark we were in. Put the number that you have in the chat, and I'll tell you if you're... From yesterday?
Starting point is 01:19:26 Yeah, what the chat GPT told you, and I'll tell you if you're on part of beat them. Okay, chat TBT, hold on. I have to look it up here. The super chat total. It's not a big deal. Listen, so let's... It would be fun to get a win for Kaiser. Well, they're right now.
Starting point is 01:19:44 They're in the lead. We don't know your numbers yet. But if you guys put in those donations, you could have Kevin take out everybody. Let's see, Live Daily 77, Smet's games, two days back to back. That's awesome news. Thank you, live you. John Holdridge, are you guys big into theme parks like I am. Glad you're here another day.
Starting point is 01:20:00 Kevin, I think we can all agree that Smet's games are a blast. Yeah, there are a lot of fun. Oh, thank you very much. I posted it in what Chat TBT gave me. All right, let's see. Well, if that number is accurate, you're probably right on the same par. close as them but we don't we don't know yet so i'll find very fun it'll go right down to the wire it's fun um but yeah theme parks look i i used to be and you know when i was younger my kids love
Starting point is 01:20:29 my kids love you do um they they do and we i just took them to we went we go now we do it yearly now i go to um this uh water park called splish splash out here and they um they love it they look forward to it every summer. So, but yeah, we go to, we go to theme parks and stuff too. Yeah, no. My daughter, it's so funny, she was fearless when she was like too old to be, too young to be fearless. She was on Pirates and the Honda Mansion.
Starting point is 01:20:54 Now, like, she's afraid to even go on. Right. Yeah. We need to poop. But she'll get there. I was scared as a kid too, man. I was scared of like Pinocchio and stuff like that. But I love theme parks.
Starting point is 01:21:07 I would love one day to go, like, to just do a road trip. and go to all the big theme parks across the country. I watch theme park videos all the time. So, John, if you like theme parks, you and I are the same, because I love them.
Starting point is 01:21:20 All right. My wife doesn't like the food. Dev, like, you know, it annoys her, but I love it. The guy paid $5.
Starting point is 01:21:34 He can hear me talk for one minute. I'm sorry. Wow. One minute. Is that you? One minute? I think, I think we found the issue.
Starting point is 01:21:44 I think, Time moves differently inside of your head. I think that's what it is. Because if you think that was one minute. That was one minute. Go back to the tape. No. Sorry, I asked the question.
Starting point is 01:21:59 You got to answer. I got to answer. Continue. Do you like theme parks? Well, yes. I do love theme parks. And I'll tell you why. My daughter, when my daughter was going to think, I, my daughter, I have seen my daughter
Starting point is 01:22:11 before I woke up and I saw my daughter. And then my daughter, she likes theme parks. And so she used to sometimes back in like she used to the rides that she used to do like she would like there was so many of them that she would like but so many of these rides she was not scared of. And now today she's scared of them. So my wife, I would tell you about my wife. I met my wife and we got married. And one of these days, oh, everyone's, oh, I had a breakfast this morning. Breakfast was good.
Starting point is 01:22:43 And, you know, so when I come back around the town, people are there. I don't know why they're there, but I look at them. And I say, hey, what's going on? And what do they say? Fair. Fair, fair assessment. I'll take the L on that one. I'll keep it down. All right. That's moving on. All right, here we go. Next one. And we've got James Wheeler. What's up, James? Hello, Christian and Kevin. Today's my birthday. Happy birthday. Here's my my present to you. My present to you. Happy birthday, man. That's amazing. Happy birthday, James. Yeah, James. Thank you, by the way. We should be giving you gifts. James is a long time and a long time donator and it comes out of you. So many times he's here and talks to us and is super generous and
Starting point is 01:23:40 love having James part of it. So I hope you having a great birthday, my friend. Enjoy it today. Please. And thank you. It's the doc, Doc. Have you thought about reversing it and doing Smet's games for Kevin one of these days? What would you ask him? Are you kidding? Do you know how bad? be at that as much as Kevin is um yeah we we we played jokes here this is um Kevin's the man at this he comes yeah he was the one that came up with these ideas and said hey I want to do this so I'm I'll do it this way this way he puts a lot of effort and time into his stuff so yeah you'd need to do another 24 hour stream too because apparently I would be it would take a long time to answer these questions dude if I had you on the 24 hour stream you'd be the best of
Starting point is 01:24:22 that you know I can just filibuster the whole 100% having you on there would be easy got to have you on there too go take a nap while i tell everybody about my day has it have have have have Kevin read the first chapter of harry potter out loud we don't know it's it's not a 73 hour uh next one yoshimitsu that groud show sounds like joker folia do-do well i mean you know like i said i the difference of folly a do-do and and this is that you talk about shift in tone they took a like a king of comedy scorsese feel and then just went to this stupid musical thing and just completely shat the bed on how they did it so that was that was that was taught phillips just saying oh i'm
Starting point is 01:25:15 going to do whatever i want which was not a great idea this is there you can say whatever you want about this show, they have a definitive idea of what they wanted to be. And as I said before, they got the right team to do it. The question is going to be after the finished product is out. Was it the right call? Yeah. That's how it's going to come out to be. Let's see. Ron H. Happy Thursday, all. Launch day on September 22nd, I'm going to be ready with energy drinks, snacks, adult diapers, lobe, cannabis, and maybe. Even some of Winston's ass crack and no pants. Get ready, guys.
Starting point is 01:25:55 Hashtag trending. All right. There you go. Jalen Turner. Thank you, Ron. I was very kind of you and very on brand. Jalen Turner, yeah, I'm already out in the Jimmy series. A gorilla graduating.
Starting point is 01:26:07 Lanterns is incredible so far. I mean, that's it, Jalen, right? It's a matter of what tone speaks to you. And because this is the pushback I have against the, everything is a bunch of different comics. it's okay when you're selling comics to have everything in all over different tones and all over the place because you're not trying to sell as many as you need eyes watching a television show or money paying for tickets in a theater there's a smaller number of success through profit
Starting point is 01:26:43 when you're producing these comic books so that's the fear that i have is that Like you said, Jeline, you're like, I love lanterns, but I don't go shit about this one because it's not the tone. That's not what you need right now when you're building out of universe. So, um, it's kind of like with the Star Wars when it came back. Like, it's like you came back to the theaters with Mandalorian and Grogu.
Starting point is 01:27:06 They were trying to be safe, right? Like we're some people might question that decision. Definitely. Um, Chris Minor with all these WWE comparisons, who is Ellis? If you're talking about, um,
Starting point is 01:27:19 like competitor Ellis. people forget how dominating he was in the first like three seasons. He didn't really lose in the first tournament. It was when we had a flawed system and we had the betting round and he didn't bet. And he just didn't bet points. He didn't miss. He went perfect in that game against JT. He lost because he didn't bet enough.
Starting point is 01:27:41 So that was that was the first tournament. He won the second tournament with me. He won the third tournament. and he went all the way through and he beat Sam Levine in season three. He beat Roca in season three. He, I mean, and he challenged Merle for the title in a really underrated match, by the way. And then once he stepped back and when he came back, he wasn't the same. Like he just wasn't, he just wasn't as good that he was during those first three seasons
Starting point is 01:28:14 because he was focused in on running the whole desk. So who was like a dominant champion? We're going to, we're going competitors, not as overall. You've got to go a dominant player or a dominant wrestler that then went to the color commentary. Yeah. I mean, who was it, who was like a champion that day? Because you can't say, PLD put Gorilla Monsoon. I would say, and you can't do Jesse Muntune.
Starting point is 01:28:45 No, it wasn't Gorilla Mons. I mean, Gorillamsoon was. Who's a former champion? champion that then ended up being like a dominating champion you know yeah like he's also throwing him out there because he's like kind of in control like he's getting mad at the guy at the desk if you go grilla monsoon for him on the desk is a great is it is well he he was like a mixture though because he would be the straight person where you were able to throw the jokes in there too is he was like a mixture of more so grilla monsoon because he was always the baby face right there's never he'll um
Starting point is 01:29:18 yeah i don't know as far as the jeopardy theme now man over two minutes could you say mankind he's too not nutty enough i think i don't know yeah i don't know i don't know um that one's a tougher one for me i leave it up to you guys to suggest it all right nathan drake grott is a serious villain in the comics that's what i thought and the flash show making him funny such a red flag
Starting point is 01:29:42 could be dancing around like the robbie williams biopic yeah that that's what i thought i everyone talked about how menacing he was Yeah, I don't know. Not sure. Griffin Shaw. Smet's games twice in a week. We eat and good. Thanks.
Starting point is 01:29:58 I love it. Remember, we didn't even have Smet's games for like weeks. So now we've got two days in a row. See, he's not complaining about my long answer about the theme parks. What? He wasn't complaining about my theme park answer. Hold on. Turn that up.
Starting point is 01:30:12 What did you say? No. I'm not playing your game. I'm not playing your game. Lincoln West. You guys think they'll ever do a co-tour in the live action, not with the current administration at Lucasfilm, I don't think. Yeah, we hear, we hear rumors that the current administration's not a big fan of that era or the
Starting point is 01:30:29 style of what it represents. So unfortunately, yeah. By the way, I just reminded me talking a lot, it's like that, have you seen that meme where it's like, oh, tell me about Star Wars. And then the meme, it's a text and it says, oh, glad you asked. And then it's a voice memo and it says like eight hours, eight minutes and stuff. Well, that's also like one of Saul's voice memos. Yeah. Which I do get a kick out of hearing them every once in a while. Rock, Movies with Tyler, 1989.
Starting point is 01:30:56 Here, Smash, have some more. Kaiser saying, run. Nice. Okay, Dardy. Thank you. Part one, Christian just wanted to say, you know, notice him more positive. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:31:05 I'm playing way more devil's advocate on the show since dropping the Kickstarter date and director. What is the devil's advocate side of it, first of all, very kind words, and thank you so much. But I think he's maybe insinuating, in a friendly way. Yes. That you're maybe not being so harsh on things.
Starting point is 01:31:24 You know what I mean? Like you're seeing the other side of it because you're now involved in production. That's interesting. And a good point of view that maybe I didn't even notice. But maybe that's what he means. Just because you're in the middle of it now, too. It could be.
Starting point is 01:31:37 A.K. Dardy has been over the last week or two has been a pretty big voice in the chat lately. So that's very kind of you to say because I know you have been listening. And he follows up with part two and says it seems like a huge. huge weight came off your shoulders announcing that and gearing up for the pilot. I think it speaks to how exciting the project is and how it will benefit the channel itself.
Starting point is 01:31:54 I'm just telling myself comedy onset CGI replacements. Ultron is, oh, okay, that's another thing. So let me address the first part of this too. Well, that's very nice. And it did. It absolutely took a weight off my shoulders. You got to remember. And people, and I saw people, to which I understood, there were some people who were
Starting point is 01:32:12 writing and said, well, you've been talking about it for a bit. When are we going? And I was saying the same thing, you know, like. Like last year we wanted to kind of run with this thing, but things just didn't work in that direction. And I am a firm believer and it's going to happen when it's supposed to happen. But it doesn't change the fact that I'm like, I want to share this with people. I want to talk about this with people more so than just teasing it and say, oh, I had a great phone call and jumping off the thing and saying this. I'm like, I did have great phone calls.
Starting point is 01:32:39 It did have great conversations, but I couldn't share it. Now the fact that I can share it and I still have a couple other things that I'm like, even yesterday, run this call. I'd like to announce it tomorrow. And they're like, well, let's announce it, but closer to launch date. I'm like, okay. You know, and it's like so, and I get it. I understand it.
Starting point is 01:32:56 But I am absolutely excited that more and more people are, are getting excited about it because you know more about it. And also like you're, you're shooting your shot, man. I'm trying. I'm trying. I want everybody else to be involved in it. And again, like I said, currently right now,
Starting point is 01:33:10 we are at, um, one, so we are at 2002-34. So if you haven't joined today, please do so. I am going to stay on. I didn't think I was going to be able to stay on a little later today, but I can today only for a little bit because Sam's coming in to do the reactions, but I wanted to, I'll tell you. He's going to stay on for three hours so I can get the win. Right, AK Dardy.
Starting point is 01:33:32 I'm just telling myself comedy and on-set CGI replacements. Ultron is a good example. Strings don't work in set photos. So I'm hesitantly curious about the garage show and hope the first trailer is great. I think that is a very fair way to look at it. Once you see one dancing grod, I feel like what else can they really do? Well, but the first trailer has to make, the first trailer will indicate whether or not what we're about to watch.
Starting point is 01:33:57 You have to. You can't, you can't afford, because the lanterns trailer pretty much just said, okay, look, we told you guys we're doing true detective in the world, right? And yes, there wasn't a lot of lanterns shit going on and everybody thought it was going to be too serious and they weren't doing the lanterns thing. so that was the big complaint in the first trailer. But they gave you what they said they were going to give you. And people like, okay, that could be cool.
Starting point is 01:34:20 And the second trailer was like, all right, well, they're mixing both of these things. And I think the second trailer was pretty much a good representation of what this show was, right? They have to establish immediately what this show in the tone is in order to get people on board. Jalen, the Russo's were the ones to introduce Spider-Man and Black Panther. one of their Marvel movies haven't missed this might hit the three billion that's my thought process you can you can't you can't start saying a lot of people have been wow their Netflix movies haven't done well this is a very different animal they have they have not missed in marvel they haven't missed and not only they're not missed they've broken records so i think
Starting point is 01:35:02 you're you're on to something jalen uh yoshimitsu i've been seeing stories that a lot of the doomsday pre sales are scalpers and the amc has been talking about canceling those tickets Interesting. Is that something? PLD. Let's get some research on that. Crashing Coyote, where you've been? Wolverine game reviews out now. Not looking good.
Starting point is 01:35:23 No? That's what I heard. Really? That's too bad. I heard that movie's going to be good. Chris Offerde. Was it? No, nothing.
Starting point is 01:35:32 All right. Chris Offer day. Well, inflation sucks. How many tickets were sold day one? Not how much money made, especially since it's gotten worse. How many tickets were sold day one? not how much money it may, especially since it's gotten worse. I mean, I see the first part of it.
Starting point is 01:35:46 Well, inflation sucks. How many tickets were sold day one? Not how much money it made, especially since it got it. I think because maybe the tickets have gotten worse as far as ticket sales. You know, that might be what he means. I think so, Chris. Let me know. John D.X. Dragon.
Starting point is 01:36:01 Probably if we reactor review, hope. I just saw the, um, so I think, do I have a screening for that? I don't know. Probably on my top three or five lists of the year for films of 2026. Why is it now original cinematic blast. Fastbender and Vicander. Oh, they're in another movie together? That's interesting.
Starting point is 01:36:17 I assume they're still together, if that was the case. Let me see. Let me see if I have, I'm going to look. Hope screenings. Do I have a Hope screening? I did see that somewhere. Oh, yeah, there it is. Oh, when is the screening for that?
Starting point is 01:36:32 It is going to be, did I miss it? Yep, I missed the screening. So no. I'll have to see it on, I'll have to see it on digital. But, all right. What's your next big one? Resident Evil. What are the next big ones, huh?
Starting point is 01:36:47 Resident Evil. I'm going to see Resident Evil next Tuesday, I think. Gotcha. Oh, and PLD, I need you to look up the studio on those two dates that I gave you and see what times are available. And then I can throw to Paul and see if I can get him in on those two days. One of those two days. Yoshimitsu. Smets game, Steam song needs to be in a style of Baby Carrot song that debuted with Ellis versus Rocha. People don't really, I mean, that song, I wonder if that song, I wonder if that song, is still out there. That was such a great theme song for him. We found it randomly. I should do a theme song for the games. Yeah, I want to see if they had, oh, this is that. I think this is that, right?
Starting point is 01:37:21 Hold on. Let me say, I got to, hold on. That, hold on, hold on. Is this it? No, that's not it. It was, I don't even know how we found it, but it's pretty, I don't know, this is that. Let me see if this is that. No, I can't find it. I don't even know where to find it. Yeah, I'd like the, it was like, it was like, it was on, it was on the, um,
Starting point is 01:37:52 it was on the last, the finals that we just debuted. It was baby carrots, baby carrots. It was crazy. It was the most animated I've ever seen Ellis Get in an entrance. It was pretty great. Yers Shimitsu. The only thing that can compete with Jaws are Star Wars,
Starting point is 01:38:05 Harry Potter, and Lower the Rings. Yeah. Yeah. Totally. Those are the ones that I thought about it. Those were pretty much of the end. Screwface, John. Jaws team is so iconic.
Starting point is 01:38:14 It had a second life in the black community as the Debo music. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It is an iconic. Yeah, it really is. And they use that again. Brilliant.
Starting point is 01:38:23 And he's right. He's right. They use it for Debo also. Hey, hey, Scrufface, do you ever do collaborations with people? Maybe I should hang out with him on his channel if he does that. To do some old school shit. I don't know if he does for the Kickstarter. I like his icon.
Starting point is 01:38:40 Scroof face is the best. Uh, go pal. Get in. Zimmerloves cribbing himself, Crimson Tide, gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean. He's, I mean. Yeah, and Horner was notorious, by the way. The movie, the soundtrack for, um, bicentennial man is basically a best of hits of James Horner.
Starting point is 01:38:56 And I'm not trying to shit on the guy. He's one of my favorite composers of all time. But it's kind of why I liked him because all this score started to sound the same. That's true. Johnny Betree's a rest in peace. Mike Marlon, Master Rochee and Dragon Ball and Buggy in one piece and many other. Mike Pass after battling brain cancer. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:39:11 Wait, buggy in one piece? Oh, is this for the, for the, uh, the voice in animated? Yeah, I can't. Let me tell you. I've known, uh, two people in the last two years that died from brain cancer. That's a scary one. It hits you and then it's like, yeah, that's tough. That's tough.
Starting point is 01:39:27 Uh, peace. Yes, Roshimitsu. I would actually watch if Christian was reffing. Which, for which football. Oh. Yeah. I mean, people would be getting hurt if I was roughing. Go pal is don't throw it to me and no blocking.
Starting point is 01:39:40 No comment. Not a. Johnny Petriza. Thoughts on Kruger saying, get out of here. Thoughts on Kruger saying he underestimated how badly Resident Evil fans want Leon S. Kennedy's story told.
Starting point is 01:39:53 Is Leon one of the main characters of the game? Leon, yes. Okay. I feel like it. Okay. I don't know. I never got into the Resident Evil games. The PS1, I like Dino Crisis.
Starting point is 01:40:05 It was kind of similar type of thing. I think that's honest if he said that. That's honest. I didn't realize how popular it was. Maybe there's a second one they can bring him in. I don't know. But I think it's honest. What do you think of?
Starting point is 01:40:17 I appreciate the honesty of it of all, just like what you were saying. Yeah. Ron H. I'm a Disney Parks fan. No go for me. A lot of other Canadians on trips down south. It'll be for a long while, almost as long as Derek Johnson. Yoshimitsu.
Starting point is 01:40:36 Also, it's either you buy a car or you go to Disneyland. We're taking care of her birthday. Oh, that's sweet. Very expensive. Yeah, it is. Please have Kevin do Smet's games with each host who comes in as part of the long Kickstarter live stream. That would be awesome.
Starting point is 01:40:50 I could pop in for like 15 minutes at a time throughout the day. When are you going to Disney? On September 29th. And you guys are ready to get tickets? Yeah. Why? Well, I'll talk about it off here. Space Jesus 57.
Starting point is 01:41:06 In your opinion, what year had the greatest run of movies can be a number of classics or box office based? I mean, I'll tell you what year, only because I was working on a book about this for a while. 87? 89. 89. 89. You look up the movies in 1989 and there are classics almost like every week coming out in box office.
Starting point is 01:41:26 Yeah. I can just think, I mean, I think Feel the Dreams, Batman. Last Crusade. Last Crusade. Yeah, that's a good year. 89 is crazy. The year that aliens came out too, right? They always talk about 87.
Starting point is 01:41:41 I think it's summer. Or that's the summer. They talk about the summer. Hey, Aliens was 86. 86. Yeah, I have some, I'll have to find it on my phone where people do all the logos from their year. It's been on X, like someone started doing that. It's pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:41:54 Ron H. Want to see Smets go for the record, a one-hour answer. Stay tuned on September 22nd. It's true. Mike Joyce. I'm looking forward to the Grodd series. I'm guessing he'll be the supervillain. We know by the end of it.
Starting point is 01:42:06 Legion of Doom is coming into shape. How do you go from a dancing like a more, on into like I am now king garage I know I don't know how they're going to do it um I don't know how we're going to do it you got to really I mean but Mike's not wrong though if you can set it up to where he you almost feel bad for him right and you're like oh and you see him just really go down this path and it's not just this goofy James gun comedy type thing and it's like a actual that's a you just kind of see the mockumentary aspect of what the hell happened to this guy that made him go from there to there.
Starting point is 01:42:41 Yeah. It would be interesting. Could I throw it out there? Not a bad idea, Mike Joyce. Could it be like potentially that this is like a what if sort of like if girl Grilla Grada had been shaped differently? This is him growing like a glimpse to all for the universe Girl of God kind of thing. Like that's the moment because going to do that kind of thing.
Starting point is 01:42:56 This would have been happy Grilla Gras if this had happened. But that's what I'm, that's why I'm saying you can't really judge it yet because you don't know how it's being presented. Exactly. You know, so like, you have to see how. it plays into overall things. So if it is straight on the nose, I think it's a bad move,
Starting point is 01:43:13 but if it's kind of something creative and clever like that, then maybe. GX Pala, to be clear, the synopsis of Jimmy Olson is Grod is in prison after killing his dad
Starting point is 01:43:23 and Jimmy thinks he's innocent. He can still be scary. Let's wait. I agree with you. I totally agree with you. I think that... That almost sounds like um,
Starting point is 01:43:31 uh, mandorraine and grogo where you're, you're, um, you're relating to, uh, man, Smowdown. See, I would be rusty.
Starting point is 01:43:39 The Punky muffin, Java's son. Well, here's the difference between this and Mandler and Grogo. This is actually going to further the story of the ICU. All right, let's say. I agree with you, GPSPala. I agree. If you do it in a way where you're like, growing up,
Starting point is 01:44:00 you know, Grod was like this. And they show him singing and dancing. And it was, it could be maybe people forget. It could be heartfelt. But people also forget because you can see this footage and in the footage itself is like two minutes long or whatever it could be
Starting point is 01:44:15 four seconds of him singing and dancing or whatever it is too growing up Grodwood and he went to college and he did this and he did that but where did things go wrong and they go to that aspect of it very possible that happened because of what he said Hollywood story yeah yeah I mean so that's why I say like just give it a give it a second
Starting point is 01:44:33 to see and yeah Rod of the Hut I knew it I was I'm being a little facetious chat trying to to blaine lessen my skills Smets have you seen Vader episode two from Star Wars theory animation's top notch and he got the actual VA from Clone Wars from Ace Windo that's pretty cool
Starting point is 01:44:49 well that reminds me of that time Christian you sit back I'll take this over for the next 15 minutes actually no I haven't seen it yet I heard about it I am looking forward to seeing it and I will say he stuck to his guns I mean he does love the new AI movies he watches them and stuff Star Wars theory but he stuck
Starting point is 01:45:05 to his guns here there's no AI I mean this is all production and there's going to be a third one. So I am looking forward to seeing it. I like that first one. Yeah. So good on, good on him. I mean, that first one he did. We put a lot of time and effort into it and love it. Yeah, I still remember that shot where they cut to
Starting point is 01:45:21 Anakin in the chamber and he's like, picking up from that nightmare. Yeah, I remember when he debuted that one. I mean, shut, I think I was still doing Jedi Council at that time. Well done. Screw face. Don't do collabs much, but whatever I can do for your project, I'm down. I appreciate that. Maybe at the very least, you know, maybe you can also come in to a live stream.
Starting point is 01:45:37 And then I think either Luke or PLD or somebody can send you a collaboration link. And then you approve it. Your subscribers will see it too. But I mean, yeah, anything that you could do, anything that anybody could do who wants to tell, if you have a following screwface or anybody to and you tell people about it, I mean, that would be to get Screwface's endorsement on it alone would be really kind and really nice. Nice. Yeah, I hope people will.
Starting point is 01:46:02 I'll have to check. I don't know. I'll have to check his channel. Oh, screwface is awesome. Awesome. Yeah, he's great. I was like looking at new. Yeah, he's great.
Starting point is 01:46:08 Not new creators, but new to me. He's been around for a bit, but he's got, but he's, he's got a massive following. And he's, he's been watching us for, for a bit, but he's just, he's always in here. He's a great, he's a really good dude. GX, Paula. Is it confirmed the singing gorilla is Grod? I think it has been, yeah. I think Jim, whatever the guy's name is who's playing him, the Grod is, is, was confirmed.
Starting point is 01:46:27 That was him. Connor Mollis. Mike's favorite band Cree was the field of dreams last week. I drank a shit ton of Bushlight at the concert. I really hope that really is Connor, by the way. I really hope that that's you. Connor, I mean, Connor is like lanterns. And what I mean by that is.
Starting point is 01:46:48 Connor is like lanterns? Yeah, let me explain. Connor, when he posts comments, can post crazy shit like this and guessing what his sandwiches are and just go cuckoo-cook-cook. Oh, yeah, I remember those. But in the same length, he can give you a comment. You're like, oh, he's not. in outer space, right?
Starting point is 01:47:08 Ron H is flying around out there without a helmet. And he loves it, right? In the same way, we had a few of those guys. There's a new guy that's been, he hasn't made a comment today. But that's what I meant, like the balance of it. Like Ron's in, you know, he doesn't try to find the balance. Connor, Connor has found the balance. And then there's another guy yesterday.
Starting point is 01:47:30 The last couple days has just been off his rocker, which I, I mean, I love those people. Armade. I'm saying, Murr from Joker's has a movie called Don't Move. Yeah, I haven't had him on. I had him on last time, actually, not too long ago, but he was pretty great. Okay, listen. So that's what we got as far as questions go right now, which is fine. If you guys want to throw any more questions in there for Kev, he's got 10 more minutes. You can throw in some questions super chat wise, but now we're opening up the chat as we have been. Here we go. Uh-oh, the Twizzler King found me. Got to go. Thank you, Connor. So if anybody wants to throw in any questions now about the pilot, anything else that we could come up, we're very, very close. Very close. I'm going to say, here we can. New drinking can take a shot. Gryson says, goofy James God. I didn't say him who is the tone sometimes. Sometimes he goes for a goofy kind of style.
Starting point is 01:48:26 There I ask what the drinking game with me would be when I start talking for longer than 10. Maybe. Yeah. Let's see. Ron H. A24's onslaught in IMAX. Worth it? Maybe high. Okay, that's fair. Also, rest in peace, Barry Melrose, former coach in the NFL. And then he became an NHL announcer or not announcer,
Starting point is 01:48:51 like color commentator guy. He just died on Wednesday yesterday. Yeah. I didn't think Superman was goofy. Like, the overall tone of Superman was goofy. I think that there are sometimes, like I said, there were sometimes that he went for the joke when you didn't need it.
Starting point is 01:49:03 Oh, it was goofy. He had a conversation with there was a fight going on in the background with a giant monster for no reason other than just to show that it was a goofy world. I said there were moments. The overall tone, the entire tone of it wasn't. It's heartfelt. I do like the heartfelt tone. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. The heartfelt tone.
Starting point is 01:49:20 I'm saying, but I don't agree with it wasn't goofy at all. There definitely was some goofy moments. That's definitely not true. But I don't think the overall tone was goofy. All right, let's see. So I want to see if anybody, like I said, we can let Kev go. He's got to do some work. But thank you, Kev, for being in here as always.
Starting point is 01:49:41 Back to back. I will see you next Wednesday. Yeah, you will. I think Wednesday will be the day for me. Where can people find you, by the way, if you're checking some stuff out? I feel like I have that. I don't know if you still have it anymore, the where to find me thing. You might have cleared it out.
Starting point is 01:49:55 But just go right now on YouTube at Stomavisity. at StomaVercities, my stoma channel. It's funny how you get punished from the algorithm. I hadn't done it short in like a week and a half. And now like my latest shorts, I used to average 1,000. Now it's like 38 views and stuff. And I'm just trying to- It keeps changing.
Starting point is 01:50:15 Yeah, it just keeps changing. I'm just trying to get, you know, spread the word out there on, for cancer survivors and anyone who might be faced with having major surgery like a stoma or ostomy. I'm out there trying to help people. So that's all I've been doing right now. And we're very close with my coat tour. episode three series having our next release i think uh the animator told me they're down to like two more
Starting point is 01:50:34 scenes left so that'll be fun to release on uh while i'm on this show because i can hype it up and stuff so well there you go so yeshmitz thanks for the great shows this week kevin it's very thanks for being great fans everybody bon h's here in um montreal city gearing up for big international bike race i'm going to blast one of those loud ass horns when they bike by i hate bike shorts are you just kidding you do like bike shorts then no no i think he he says i hate bike Just kidding. I think just kidding about the horn, but fair enough. All right. Thanks, everybody.
Starting point is 01:51:05 So thanks again, Kevin. We'll see you next Wednesday. Yeah, chime in, by the way. I give you two versions of that newest thing because that will inform how I do later ones. Perfect. All right. So thanks to Kevin. We'll bring in PLD now.
Starting point is 01:51:17 There's a little bubble. So PLD, here's what we'll do again. If people want a super show, we'll give them a super show. If they don't, they have been lately. So people have questions about the show and what we have coming up with the show. once again, we have the pilot where 2,200. Let's see, let's restart it and see. It could still be at 234.
Starting point is 01:51:37 I think that was a refresh. 237, look at that, jumped. So we're trying to get to, let's try to get to 2,250 before we chime out here today. How about that? Achutable, let's do it. Yeah. So let's go and we'll bring up this one, saucy. Second, where are you?
Starting point is 01:51:56 Here you go. where'd you go? There you go. All right. So Mike starts to stop. Mike's been doing great questions lately. When our show does great and you get the green light to do a whole series and your budget goes up, which of these comedians would you want to be in our show?
Starting point is 01:52:13 If I only pick three, Jim Carrey, Eddie Murphy, or Adam Sandler? Well, I could use all, you know, any one of them to play themselves in what it, you know, the show calls for, right? I think my choice any one of them would be honored, any one of them. But I think my choice would probably be Eddie or Adam up top, depending on the story angle, what they could do. I feel like my character would have had run-ins with Adam in the past
Starting point is 01:52:44 and would have gotten along with him. Yeah, and Eddie Murphy would be somebody that, like, come on, Eddie Murphy, so. I think Senator fits that vibe in a way. Easily, yeah. Oh, so we're one member away from the Discord. Put the Discord link in there at PLD. Let's get them the 400.
Starting point is 01:53:01 Come on. Let's get the 400. Yeah, let's do it. Okay. Well, look, if we're not going to do questions today, we don't have to do questions today. We can do them on tomorrow with Winston, and I can go grab lunch. If you guys don't want a super show today, totally cool. We can do it.
Starting point is 01:53:16 We're going to do a bunch of them. I mean, create me gear enough for super shows. The all, I mean, I think what I'm going to do is when it comes to, you know, the, you know, the freaking live stream on that 20 second. I got to start mapping that out. Yeah. I guess I'm mapping that out. A lot of guests.
Starting point is 01:53:33 A lot of headaches to do. It's going to be. I mean, you're going to have to help me with that because I got to do schedule because I have, I mean, I have quite a few people that already are going to be doing it. And we've got to figure out how we're going to coordinate that. I got to see what the deal is because I still don't know.
Starting point is 01:53:47 I mean, I usually, I have to, I guess I got to figure out with John, if he's doing his show or not because I've been doing, you've been doing appearances on his show. on Mondays, but I don't know if, I would assume that he's going to be doing a show. I don't know, but maybe not. We'll see. I haven't talked to him about it.
Starting point is 01:54:05 That's it. All right, well, cool. Go and join that Discord today. Make sure you do that. If you haven't watched the Mandalorian video, please do that. Probably have Mandalorian season three, episodes three and four of tomorrow. I'm going to try to get the unedited up tonight for that.
Starting point is 01:54:22 I'm going to see if I can say that done. Say that again? I'm going to try to get the unedited version of Amanda three and four up tonight. Okay, good. Okay. Oh, let's see. I'll give up another one.
Starting point is 01:54:31 Yoshimitsu. Does Kickstarter allow us to include a message with our pledges, so it would be great to read those instead of super chats during the long stream? I wonder, I don't know that. I don't know the answer. Let me, you know what? I'm going to screenshot this. And I'm going to send this to Craig.
Starting point is 01:54:46 Hold on. Give me a second. Let me see. Give people a chance if you also want to answer questions. There's that. Oh, there it is. I'm going to see what Craig says. So where's Craig?
Starting point is 01:55:00 There he is. And let me see what he says. Because if Craig says that we can do that, then we'll do that. Okay. Yes, that would be cool. Yoshi, excuse me. If whoever picks up the pilot decides to shorten the show, maybe just three seasons, would be okay with that?
Starting point is 01:55:18 Well, I mean, if they, that's, there's, it depends on what you mean there. Because if it's like, okay, they agree. they say, okay, do season one. And then season one does well. They go, okay, we're going to green light seasons two and three now. And the seasons two and three, ratings-wise, just don't do well. And they go, we got to, we got to cancel it. It's part of the game.
Starting point is 01:55:40 You know, it's part of the game. Now, if we feel like the show is going well and we could continue to do it, then we'd have to find a way to continue to do it. That's that option. But if as far as if somebody's just like, oh, we're only going to commit to three seasons and that's it. And you can't do any more after that. that usually wouldn't happen, especially if it did well.
Starting point is 01:55:57 Right. So. They also aren't going to commit to six seasons either. So it's like. Yeah. Dick Smoker. Amazing. Has the entire castless been announced?
Starting point is 01:56:07 No, that doesn't, that doesn't start. That's part of the process. That's part of the benefits of when you guys join is that right now it's myself and martini. And then we're going to build around us because the thing is, as we've been talking about, we have to see what kind of budget we get to know. what kind of offers we can make.
Starting point is 01:56:26 So we know we have people we think would be perfect for the role, but we might not be able to get their rate, you know, if we don't have it. So the cast will start to come out. Okay, so here's an example. Let's say we have, we overshoot and we get past our, because we're going to have the asking goal, which is just to make sure we can make anything. But as I've been telling, if you do the math on it, we probably need 13,000, 13,000. people put in 25 bucks.
Starting point is 01:56:56 You can make it at a comfortable version. Let's say we overshoot that. We go way past that. And then we go to a place where I'm just like, oh, you know what? We know we have that already on day one and day two. We can make offers to so-and-so, so-and-so tell them this is already what we've already raised, and we'll be able to commit to that. Then maybe during day six, we can announce somebody.
Starting point is 01:57:18 I don't know if somebody commits to it. Or we put together a massive campaign. We do everything. Then it's like, okay, you're already part of it. The campaign's over. We've raised more than we could ever possibly imagined. And now you're in the daily meetings and everything, too. And you're getting the updates of we just went out to so-and-so, and they said yes.
Starting point is 01:57:38 And they're going to be in it. We've just announced that. So those are the updates that you continue to get once the campaign is over. I think, like, theoretically, if you did get to announce somebody like six days in, that could be actually a bump into. I would love that. Listen, I would love that, I mean, I would love that we, if we were able to, we have someone in mind for a particular.
Starting point is 01:57:54 particular role that they were like, yeah, well, because of what you guys are doing, I'm in. I would love to announce that. We don't have that yet, but I'd love that. Red Carpet Talk. What do you think makes an ideal producing partner? This is a cliched answer. Someone who really just gets the vibe and understands the mission and understands the goals, right? And is creative and can, that's why, I mean, Andrew is the perfect producer. partner because he's so brilliant and he's and he's really he's funny um he knows it i have a benefit that i've known him so long that we know how to talk to one another and it's like i think that a lot of people when you and they shouldn't because it's just not how he is but because of his stature and
Starting point is 01:58:41 what he's been able to do people would maybe get like intimidated thinking about ideas and bringing things i i don't have that with him because i've known him for so i known him way before he was he'd gotten successful or anything too we'd just have a very good relationship but He can also tell me, listen, this is the way you need to look at this. Even the other day, when we were talking about, like, we were giving notes to, like, the editors and stuff. And he's like, this is a certain way that we should be doing things in this way and that way. And we should try to do it this way.
Starting point is 01:59:07 And it's like, it just, it's been through it. You know, so like someone who just can communicate and be creative in a good way, I think is the best producing partner. Okay, let's say, this is another one here. Your Schmidt's stream participation through pledges would be great. for bringing them in. Maybe even disable super chats for the day to drive dollars where they need to go. I mean, that's totally something
Starting point is 01:59:30 that could be interesting too. Yeah, I wonder, you know, if that's going to be the case for that live stream all day. Or maybe, you know what I could do? What I might be able to do is maybe during the two hours that Roca is on for that day, keep the superchats on
Starting point is 01:59:48 to make it fair to him for that, you know, for the potential bonus so people want to help him out for that because everybody else has it that week and he doesn't well it's Tuesday right so it's not a Roka day Tuesday so so Mike and Roxy it's a Mike and Roxy yes so I don't know I don't know we got we got to we got to see um okay have you reached it not not yet we haven't shot anything yet you got to shoot we got to shoot something everybody hopefully is is going to be um you know brought up David can you get in a contract that if they drop the show you have the right to still make it or sell it to someone else in the event that
Starting point is 02:00:27 does get picked up i'm sure that will be talked about for sure right yeah um yeah um um phiona george hey christian new x-men has been cashed check holly reporter who we got cast a german is angel he was in gen v gen v um he was in monster the geoffrey dammer story a good cast night i think he's a good actor so i like let me see uh let's see yeah um oh i see okay cool you're a good actor i think it sounds good i don't know i don't know them all enough but um there you go okay cool i'm still i'm still looking still looking is there anything else i'll see i'm i'm going down the line i see it i see it bill okay as the flirt and flouse wouldn't go amiss if he appeared in the new project um i think
Starting point is 02:01:20 what where's the flirt and flouse could show up i'm not even kidding like is down the line is like, look, if we're able to get Saturday night live as a, as the actual show that she was on, it would be great, you know, because that's what the character was, but you'd probably have to make it some sketch show that you made up. But he could be a current cast member. And so Flurton Foss could be one of the big things. That's easy. That's easy. Okay. Last Action Heroes, we don't have a big following yet. We started doing our podcast in July, but if you're offering a poster, I'd be happy to buy one and put it in the background when we do our video reviews. Is that okay? Of course that's okay. That's amazing and super and super generous.
Starting point is 02:02:03 And yeah, we're going to be offering posters for sure. Now the question is that can we, you might be able to do is send those, send those over. But I love that you start this, you fucker. Not this one. You lost me at being fair. You're unbelievable. Just so I read it. I get anyway. But yes, I was very kind. We will have. have a poster for short and that would be great if you did that Mike Joyce what if someone wanted to pick up the show but recast some people someone asked us yesterday including you and martini make you two executive producer which you're okay with that you mean you're saying after we shot it like so we shot the pilot we're happy with the pilot we like what we did with it we're super happy and thrilled
Starting point is 02:02:42 of what we did and somebody wants to recast us and no I wouldn't want to do that no it wouldn't be okay with it now if we shot it and we were like it didn't really work and they still wanted to buy it and they wanted to make it happen. You know what? This, this, you know, premise is really good, but you guys, you know, chemistry's not there. Only that's going to happen.
Starting point is 02:03:04 I'll see it in the freaking video. But no, I wouldn't be okay with that. No, not at all. A.K. Dardy. Hey, sorry, I was listening on delay, but by devil's advocate, I meant you were more open to look at the other side of the situation as appeal he was saying. Learning more positive with reason rate. Was I not saying that? Was I not doing
Starting point is 02:03:19 that recently? I don't think, you've always kind of done that, I think you're just more, more positive and energetic about it, I think. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, look, I'm not, I'm not disagreeing with it. I just, I mean, they, they see it on the other side as I'm sitting here every day. You know what I mean? I think your energy is just bit better because you get, when you were excited about something,
Starting point is 02:03:38 you just has energy to you that's palpable. And that's just comes across to everything else you do. Yeah, thank you, Pieldy. I, I mean, that's, that is part of like, you know, because I'm, I just want this show, the story to be told and I want people to feel like, that's the whole thing is that, even that dick bag on wheels that just wrote pass you know like just just to be a dick right it's like i almost want to tell that guy like if you're watching any of my videos if you don't watch the videos and you just wrote past to write past you know then then fuck off and have a great
Starting point is 02:04:08 day but like if you're if you watch the videos you know i'm not interested i don't care i would say you got to look big picture for what we're trying to do overall because if you support the channel and you support like what we're doing in general. I would assume, and I don't want to speak for you, but I would assume that you'd want the channel to reach places that you're like, okay, I've been there for instance since the beginning. I helped make this happen. I went from when he was at 8,000 subscribers, 2,000 subscribers to now the fucking guy got a show on the air, a television show that I helped and I got a part of it and I was there and I saw all this stuff. And everybody was like kind of locking arms and walking through the door saying,
Starting point is 02:04:49 we get to tell you you don't tell us. And even the people who are on the past side of it, you're going to want to be part of it. I feel like you'd want to be part. I'd also throw out there. Not that this is going to happen for everybody, but look at me, for example. I was a fan back on the day.
Starting point is 02:05:04 And like, I got to be part of it through things. Christians very open to collaborating with people and everything else. Not that everything, they won't work for it. But if you're in the ground level and you've got to build relationships with everybody. Totally. That's how it works. 100%. You get to see, like, I mean, just the fact that how many people can say that they
Starting point is 02:05:19 watched a pilot form from the beginning, watched it get cast, watch all these things, had access to the, you know, the producer, the director, and it just doesn't happen often,
Starting point is 02:05:28 especially if you're involved and you're interested in this business. Right. Oh, let's see. It's not necessarily to it'll answer it anyway right now. Probably,
Starting point is 02:05:40 I mean, John Williams was about to be the answer there. 100%. It was a clever way to do what he threw in the, for our show. Oh, oh, I see. And all of them?
Starting point is 02:05:50 I mean, I couldn't. interview any of them. The answer is the first person who said, I'll do it. And then I just have to tell the others, sorry, I would have said yes to you too, but, but Alan Zavistria came to me first. You don't say no to any of them. You don't interview any of them. Dick Smoker, is stand-up comedy a part of the show, if you can say? I mean, so yes and no, right? As far as the pilot, the series, yes. As far as the pilot goes, I mean, he's a former stand-up comedian, and he was poised to be pretty damn big during the early 2000s.
Starting point is 02:06:28 And he just, he fucked himself up. And he didn't, and he, you know, he kind of ruined his career and marriage and other things, too. And when we meet him, he's been doing podcast, even his podcast was popular in probably the mid-2000s. And then even that has been fading. so he's um he's in the shits and so he's been retired for stand-up for quite a long time going into it but um but he still has a lot of connections to that world and is and you know can say if the series continues on eventually he would probably get back on stage i would assume yeah um have you got someone to create a theme song we just use sona no i mean like we haven't
Starting point is 02:07:13 we haven't talked about that yet we i can't wait until we have that conversation we just The first, the major goal right now is what kind of budget do we have to make the best possible show? You know, it's crazy. I was doing this today. I was doing this. I was wrong. I thought, and once you do research on this, too, just so, I've been saying that the Bears pilot costs 1.1. I don't know where I got that number.
Starting point is 02:07:38 I got a number this morning that said two. I got the number of the number that said three. I got a number that said hacks was a little over a million. But it says the industry standard is between one to three. for a comedy, half an hour comedy pilot. And I'm like, that's not what we're looking for. But, but, you know, if we add that, we're going to make something pretty special. But we're looking at that range to make the, the budget that Boardwalk came up with in locations that we had to put together pretty something solid.
Starting point is 02:08:03 Now, I know that it's always sunny in Philadelphia. Their pilot costs 200 bucks. Right, right, right. When they be there, that's a very different story, though. Part of what I'm saying. It said of the bear, it's not out there officially, but it's likely in the two to four million dollar range. That's what I saw. So I don't know where I came about that 1.1.
Starting point is 02:08:20 I don't know. Yeah, let's say. Okay, let's see. So like if Ruka was dogging on something recently, you've been saying, well, look at it this way. Before you seem to pile. Well, I don't think I'd ever piled on with them, did I? But either way, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 02:08:34 I appreciate what you're saying, and that's very kind. Thank you. I don't want to argue with you on the sand, saying it. Like, that's very kind of you, that you have that perspective. Yershmitsu, trending is not a premise that I would normally ever watch. It's not my kind of thing. But having enjoyed so many a projects over the years, I'm 100% on board. Well, that's fair.
Starting point is 02:08:49 But that's also one of those things, too, right? Like, I don't know. And I'm curious, I'm curious about, too, like, what comedies and what types of things do you like, right? And what is the, I mean, the premise in general, you have to figure out, you've got, like, my goal, as a creator, writer, I've got to make sure that I create characters for you, and I believe that I have, that makes you say, I'm glad to tune into this, because I enjoy so-and-so and this and that, because I think that that's the thing.
Starting point is 02:09:18 It's not just for men, not just for women. It's like it really is about, it's for everyone. You know, and I think that, and especially for generations, for other things, people who can relate to it. Yeah, it's a bad forkwatching kind of show, I think. Yeah. Absolutely. Soul style.
Starting point is 02:09:35 Christian, would you change the SNL reference to Matt TV if you can get clearance to use it? Or do you feel Matt TV would be a low quality substitute for SNL? I mean, Matt TV was awesome. The problem is it didn't last that long. And like this, the idea of, what the show is still going on because like she had a similar to the same thing I was talking with standup like she had the potential to be as big as you know Kristen Whig and uh Amy polar and and and all them but she just dove off of it too quick and I think at the same time there are people
Starting point is 02:10:09 there were some of her peers during the show that did do that um and and did have those moments and things of that nature. So I think it's got to be SNL or like, yeah, fnl or something. Something where you know that, oh, they just couldn't get the rights for SNL by SNL.
Starting point is 02:10:24 Yeah. Bill also says, have you have you got someone to create a themes? Oh no, that that one. That's all I did. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:10:32 Um, Ryan, how's it going to get on a podcast to promote the Kickstarter? Another stream with Greg would be good just to boost that 5,000 followers goal before 922. Yeah, I'm going to do something with Greg. I got it.
Starting point is 02:10:42 He's probably going to come on here. We're going to collaborate for sure. And then I'm, I'm going to, and then I'm going to start reaching out to people like it's on my list to do today, actually. So yeah, let's see. This is actually pretty funny. Where is it? Darksmerg, really characters have a rival with Dane Cook and recreate.
Starting point is 02:11:01 You've been sold from you for the last time, Mr. Cook and slap. It would be funny. You know, I was actually, he was promoting something recently, and I was going to, we interviewed him on Clyder Live. It was actually a really good conversation. And I think, um, Yeah, I think that for me, I was supposed he's promoting some new documentary or something too, and I was going to try to get him on an interview in New York, but the problem was that he wasn't, he didn't have the kind of time that I'm not interviewing anybody for eight minutes.
Starting point is 02:11:30 I don't, I can't do that anymore. It's just not my style. So his publicist's like, let's try to get a, we'll try to get a longer form interview. So it's still, still talking. Okay, let's see. Josh, I feel like tires pilot costs would be more comparable to yours, but I think it's much more than you are asking. Well, I think that tires,
Starting point is 02:11:48 he did the whole entire season. That's the whole thing. I think he did the whole season. And he did it with his podcast money and other things, though, too, what he did. He took a shot on it and he shot the whole season. I would love to be able to shoot the whole season. But in the way that what we're doing,
Starting point is 02:12:06 and with boardwalk attached to it, that's going to be like, to shoot a whole season, it's going to be like guild money. Yeah, tires was a whole season. it's basically 200,000 or 350,000 per episode. Right. So that's around, it's around the same of what, of what we're looking for. So, but, you know, but I'm sure that if Shane Gillis had 500 to 600,000 an episode,
Starting point is 02:12:28 he would have been, you would have been pretty happy with it? He just didn't have that for himself, you know? Would you consider promoting your pilot on Spooky Astronaut channel? I don't know spooky astronauts, Mladic, Leighton Kulik. Why her channel is mostly horror. She wouldn't mind promoting a non-horror project. She backed Stuckman and had a small role in shell, Oh, that's interesting. I don't, I don't know her. I don't, I have to look into that.
Starting point is 02:12:49 Let me do a screenshot. But I'm going to be, you know, going to look into this stuff for sure. I need to. I got to, I mean, I do need a lot of different, you know what? Actually, this is probably a good idea. This is a good idea. And it's probably for Sam, for the Discord, Princess and everybody, too. Can you guys start giving me suggestions in the pilot channel on the Discord of shows and things that I should reach out to? because that's that's something that could be helpful yeah uh please okay let's say um dick smoker when conceiving and writing the show did you have a specific rating in mind or are you keeping it open well we definitely martini and i are pretty raunchy when it comes to humor and everything too so i i think it's going to be we're going to explore it's going to be real you know so it's it's
Starting point is 02:13:39 definitely going to be tvma for sure yeah uh okay Sorry to keep bringing up Angela Giratana, but if you had a role for her and lock her in early in the Kickstarter, the Smosh Channel, she's involved with 27 million subs. Many would support her and our show. Yeah, it's like, but here's, but this is my, I guess this is my question, Blaine, right? Is that I don't have anything to offer her right now. You know what I mean? Like, that's the thing is I don't have anything. I mean, not role-wise.
Starting point is 02:14:08 Like, outside, I look into her and see if she could potentially play a role. It's possible. I got to look into it. I screenshot as well. But what do I, what do I offer her right now? I don't have a budget. That's,
Starting point is 02:14:20 that's the problem. I don't have it. I don't have anything to say like, oh, you know, hey, if we do raise this, you can get this.
Starting point is 02:14:26 And it's like, that just doesn't work that way, unfortunately. So, chicken and egg situation. It's exactly what it is. Exactly what it is. But I,
Starting point is 02:14:33 but I have her name down. Anyway, uh, that's it. So there's one more. Let's say, let's it. Bill, get R&B involved
Starting point is 02:14:44 because he's already done things of that. Free Enterprise, for instance, his insight would be invaluable. I've definitely called up R&B and ask him for sure. Yeah, absolutely. Okay. Your Shmits,
Starting point is 02:14:54 the pitch for training definitely makes me think of spaced, which is a very good thing. Which one's spaced? That's the Sion Pegg, Nick Frost one. Oh, okay. UK one. I didn't, I watched it once a long time ago. I can't remember much about it, to be honestly.
Starting point is 02:15:07 So again, I couldn't tell you about it. Well, that's good. That's good if that makes you feel that I mean, that's, especially when you didn't think it was your thing. So that's, if that's a good thing, I love that. All right. That's cool. Yeah, PODD, I'm doing this stuff with, um,
Starting point is 02:15:23 Sam and just a little bit, she's coming by around, like, I think, like, three or something like that. Okay. So we're going to try to knock out as many as possible. All the man does. Yeah, I want, I'd like, I'd like to finish up the season with her today. And then, you know, because we got to get, we got to get to that freaking, uh, justice League. It's going to take four hours. I want to launch it by the time this Kickstarter hits. Now, you don't have access to like the screeners for lanterns anymore. So you can't do that
Starting point is 02:15:49 early, right? At this point. Say what? You can't do lanterns early anymore. You don't have. I might be able to, but I don't know if I'd be able to do this week anyway because I think I only have Sam for today and we don't have it now. You don't have now. Right. That's right. Oh, that's a good idea too. I should reach out to Sam. I like Sam. You're a good guy. I'll reach out to Sam. I wouldn't take that. Yeah. So that's why please, please, please, please join the Discord and start doing suggestions.
Starting point is 02:16:17 I'm going to check there in a little bit. That would be great. Yeah, I don't, I don't know if Ellis knows him. He's got to know him. He's got to know him. I don't know. Let me see. I'll text them right now.
Starting point is 02:16:30 There you go. Text Mark Ellis. Yo, period. Question for you. Period. Hey, do you know Dan Soder? Question mark? I would love to try to promote the Kickstarter, and I don't know if that's something that's even possible, but maybe he's in New York can reach out, period.
Starting point is 02:16:54 What do you think? Let's see what he says. I also will probably make a phone call to CVV. I mean, he obviously knows him. So maybe. Yeah. But everyone likes Dan Soter. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 02:17:09 I can talk to him about writing for the WWE. be, maybe that's something you'd be interested in. I don't know. Let's see. Yeah, that's a good one too. See, put these, put these in there. I mean, I'm going to reach out to everybody. I'm going to reach out to everybody and see what I can do. So, but the other thing is that I'm waiting, I'm waiting to reach out because, well, I can't say why I'm reading to reach out. I have a reason why I'm waiting to reach out. I have a reason. And I feel it'll be more valuable if I wait and then ask. when I have this other bit of information. So.
Starting point is 02:17:46 Okay. Oh, yeah, that's just good, too. Yeah, reach out to Griffin, too. You get along with Griffin pretty well. Talk about what if the Shmohdown, man. He would have been, if we had kept going with him. He was great. He would have been a chance.
Starting point is 02:17:57 I mean, he played for the title once. He crushed it in that tournament. He was great, but his marissel was just on a run that year, and he just couldn't. And he would have been a fun character to build, I think, when he comes down. Oh, 100%. So, yeah. Already.
Starting point is 02:18:11 So already working on something with him who are going his live stream for sure. Well, there you go. Thank you guys. Appreciate it very much. Thanks for being here, as always. Shorter show today, but I'll be doing more super shows, I promise. And, oh, let's see, Ryan S. What do you think is the biggest barrier to hit?
Starting point is 02:18:32 5,000 followers given the channel has, what is? What is the biggest barrier to hitting 5,000, given that we have 200? Yeah, five. Well, I think, you know, look, I think people right now don't necessarily know, and I think people still think by hitting the notified button that they think if you get charged by something and they're not. And other people that see it and they're like, oh, I got to sign up. It takes two seconds to sign up. So I think it's a matter of people are not knowing. And I think that I've heard people saying, you know what, I'm just going to donate when I'll know, I'll know when it goes live.
Starting point is 02:19:02 I don't have to be notified for it. And I just think that what people should realize inside of that is that, you know, it just helps us push us up even for. further if you do join. But the other side of it is the other videos. There's three different kind of algorithms, right? You got the live algorithm, you got the shorts algorithm, you have the regular video algorithm, and the regular video algorithm. I've been pushing more and more in getting people hopefully. So we'll see. Some people just don't like notifications. Yeah, it's true. Iosha. Are you planning doing weekend streams with the Kickstarter going? Most likely. Yes. Yeah. That's good to know. So there's Antorius two weeks off after the 19th and back.
Starting point is 02:19:41 Back out. Good time for it. It's true. I know. Maybe I've got to reach out and see. Well, yeah. I mean, that's also, that happens on the live stream, too. But then, you know, sometimes you get 1,000 people, some of the 800 people.
Starting point is 02:19:55 It's all right. It's not a big deal. Is lack of urgency a factor why people haven't clicked notified yet since it's not 22nd? Maybe. Maybe so. And like, again, remember this, though, too. When talking to people from Kickstarter, we are ahead of the curve.
Starting point is 02:20:10 most people when they're going for the number that we're going for and going for the things that we're going for have way less than what we have currently. We're ahead of the curve with 22, 2,200 or whatever we are, 20 close to it. So we're definitely ahead of the curve. I just wanted to get, I just, for me, I wanted to get to the 5,000 because half of what the guild did to me is huge, considering we don't have that kind of following, you know. So, so that's it. 2238 right now. Yeah. What's that?
Starting point is 02:20:44 2238, 2,238. Okay. We're at right now. All right. So getting closer. Yeah. So yeah. So that's the whole point.
Starting point is 02:20:51 Is that just like we're already over 2K. Right. And we got there quick. So we got to keep just pushing it. And you guys got to keep sharing it. You know, and I'm going to have more pictures and stuff too and more things. And I think, you know, so if everybody, I mean, I hope that if everybody in here,
Starting point is 02:21:05 I hope that if everybody in here is in, you know, you know, watching this that you've hit the button to notify already. I can't imagine that there's anybody who's watching this portion of the show where I'm talking about that hasn't been notified. That wouldn't make any sense. Mike, Rios, will the show explain the reason for the character's divorcing? Yes, it will. Also, wouldn't it be funny if it involved the Dutch Hucking game?
Starting point is 02:21:28 Well, that definitely doesn't happen, but yes. So Discord just hit 400. That's amazing. Yeah. Same thing. So, yeah, we're doing good when it comes. That's what I'm saying. So right now we're doing, we're in good shape.
Starting point is 02:21:38 You know, and I think that from what I'm looking at with these rewards, it's just, there's not going to be a shortage of cool shit to do. I think even for somebody who was like, well, I didn't know if I wanted to go that high, but that's not, that's not, that's not going to be able for people. You know what I mean? Yeah. So, um, that's it. Okay.
Starting point is 02:22:04 Well, then I will sign off. I thank you guys so much for being here. I will be back tomorrow with Winston A. Marshall. We will have another Mandalorian episode tomorrow. I am waiting for Mandalorian and Grogo to shoot. Ideally, what I would love to do is to shoot that, get that, and put up Mandalorian today and tomorrow, which I will do. Then next Tuesday and Friday be done with season three.
Starting point is 02:22:30 And I would love to run Mandalorian and Grogu either on the weekend or potentially on Monday and then jump into Justice League starting on Tuesday. when the Kickstarter starts. That's it. So, okay. Thank you guys very much. I appreciate you. Oh, I missed.
Starting point is 02:22:48 What was it? Which one? Mike, I got a lot of your questions. Which one did I miss? There you go. If Johnny Carson, did you promote our show to him?
Starting point is 02:22:57 I don't know. I mean, who knows? You know, of course I would want to promote to Johnny Carson, for sure. Yeah. That's it. So, all right, let's get, let's say goodbye. Thank you guys.
Starting point is 02:23:11 Appreciate it. I'm going to eat some foods. And I will talk to you guys tomorrow. So again, thanks to Kevin, thanks to PLD, thanks to Sam and MK for doing the time codes. Thanks to Luke for doing all the work he does and to Jonathan and others. So thank you so very much. If you haven't, if you're going to be in New York, October 8th, PLD is going to be there. So that should be a tick and all in itself.
Starting point is 02:23:34 make sure you come check us out it's going to be exciting come for it and we'll see you guys really soon so appreciate you and we'll see you on the flip side bye did you shit in there
