Ballot through 527. While supplies last, selection varies by location. Well, the penguin had a series, so maybe the Joker should get one.
Starting point is 00:00:34 At least that's the rumor. Will it happen? We're going to discuss it. Speaking of the penguin, the penguin has its finale coming up. What are we thinking of the series so far? There is a lot more to discuss with that show. Agatha wrapped up. There's some more stuff coming out, whether it's what if so much news within D.C.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Nicholas Holt talked to our buddy, Josh Horowitz, and got a lot of. lot. I got deep. He talked about Batman. He talked about losing Batman, that is. He talked about Lex Luthor. He talked about choosing Lex Luthor instead of wanting to play Superman or the reason why he'd rather play Lex Luthor than Superman.
Starting point is 00:01:13 So we'll talk about all that and more on this special edition of Capes and Cowles, a Christian Harlov show, with Crazy Coy, Gondro, Winston, A, frontrunner, Marshall, and it is time.
Starting point is 00:01:29 once again for the show here it is ladies and gentlemen are you ready me too here we go welcome back ladies and gentlemen this capes and cows the christian arloff show with myself koi jandro Winston a marshal gentlemen the gang is back together welcome welcome how was your how was your how was your how was your fake parade my fake parade I seem pretty real to me oh sorry let me let me finish it sorry let me rephrase that how was that fake fan showing up to a parade oh okay i see what it is sorry that's my man you're you're saying that like if you have spent you know half of your life in a place that you're not allowed to you know also catch some fandom no no that's not that's not what i'm saying at all no no that's exactly what you
Starting point is 00:02:40 i watched your little tirade while i was at the parade it was and what i and what i know then you then you would have known then you would have known because what i said was and i told coy the same thing you can be a fan you can absolutely be a fan you live somewhere long enough i think it is fair my my my dad my brother became tamp bay fans i like the angels even you know if they're not playing the yankees um but what i would not do is talk to like in the same way that if i started living if i started living in um san francisco and i became you know the giants fan in general what i wouldn't do is find a dodgers fan and start pretending that i was a like a part of that rivalry for so long as are talking smet i see what you're saying you can do that you can do that i
Starting point is 00:03:21 I see what you're saying. So you're saying that essentially me already being a Rangers fan, therefore hating the Yankees as it was, I'm not allowed to talk shit as the other team that's going against them. And I can tell you, that's where I'm like, normally, normally, normally the fan, the, the fan base really likes you. They, no one agreed with you.
Starting point is 00:03:43 No one. I don't need anybody to agree with me. I do. Clearly, clearly, clearly you sensitive. About this, yeah. swept just right up out of there, bro. Frontrunner. It wasn't a sweep.
Starting point is 00:03:55 It wasn't a sweep. They played. Look, I said this. They played terribly. They were horrible. But it doesn't. They were horrible. Yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:04:01 But you're not a real Dodgers fan. Get out of here with that nonsense. Look, look, once again, just like anything else, you have a 1A and a 1B. And that's literally what this was. If the Rangers and the Dodgers are playing each other, this isn't a question. Okay, fine. You take crap all you want.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Because you know you're slung and bullshit. That's what that is, baby. And I don't. I'm saying is there's a one A and one B the doctors of the one B my one A was gone so it is what it is Get it out baby get it all out. You need you need some minute you want us to host a show when you go take a shit You really need to cut back on that coffee baby you should consider to use magic mind more than it Hey listen great transition for once so I'll tell you what man as much as we joke here we will say that there's a reason Winston show them what you got This beautiful little thing right here called magic mind tell them why you like it see I love
Starting point is 00:04:58 I love this because whatever I take Magic Mind, first of all, you don't have to worry about all of the noises that Christian was playing a second ago, but specifically it keeps you sharp. There's no crash. It's clean, clean energy. Clean energy and whatnot. And I love taking it when I wake up,
Starting point is 00:05:14 but for me, I really like taking in the afternoon for the most part because that way I'm not having to pump any more caffeine into my system. I'm just keeping myself sharp and good to go. I love it. It's great and I would highly recommend people checking Let's do it, gentlemen. Let's get, let's get focused.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Let's feel good. It's got a good taste, too. And then the link is in the description of how you can get yourself some magic mind. Use that code. And yeah, so let's get into it, ladies and gentlemen. We have so much to talk about. And the first was, I saw this story today. And it's pretty crazy and I don't know how I feel about it yet.
Starting point is 00:05:53 And that's this Joker news. Here is the story itself. Coy pronounce his name for me because I would get it wrong. Barry Keogan. Thank you. That's how he pronounces it. Other Irish people pronounce it Keogan, but it's Keogan from his mouth. Barry Keogan's Joker rumored for spinoff series before returning as the Batman part three's main villain.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Mark Cassidy. Barry Keogan made his debut as the Dark Knight's most iconic foe in the Batman, showing up near the end of the movie as an unnamed Arkham Prisoner, who converses with the Ridler. All right. Where is that? Okay. It soon became clear that this disfigured criminal was supposed to be the Joker, or at least a man who will eventually become the Joker. Matt Reeves later shared a deleted scene featuring Keogun's villain speaking to the Cape Crusader, but the filmmaker has said that this shouldn't be taken as an indication that the Joker is being lined up as the main antagonist of his sequel. Heogan has always stayed pretty tight-lipped about his potential return, but we might finally have some idea of what Warner Brothers and Reeves have planned for this late. latest big screen take on The Clown Prince.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Okay. So according to Marvel Vision podcast, Keogan is set to return as the Joker, but not in the Batman Part 2, though cameo is possible. The Eternal's actor will reportedly reprise his role as the main villain in the Batman Part 3, and he's also in talks to headline his own HBO Max Joker spinoff series that would lead into the final part of the trilogy. Jeff Snyder has also heard that there are big plans for Keogun's Joker and believes a solo series in the same vein as The Penguin is highly likely.
Starting point is 00:07:28 As for the Batman Part 2, Reeves recently shared their first official plot details during an interview with SFX magazine, confirming that the movie will once again feature Batman investigating a mystery. We've shared the script as we've been going along with DC and they're super excited. It's going to dig into the epic story about deeper corruption and it goes into places that Bruce Wayne couldn't anticipate in the first one. The seeds of where this is going are all in the first movie and expands in a way that will show you aspects of the characters. You'll never get to see it. Batman is consistent, I was constantly battling these forces, but those forces can't be entirely exercised. So the next movie delves deeper into that. This has led to speculation that the Batman will be facing the court of owls. What did I call him last time, Winston?
Starting point is 00:08:11 I don't remember. I don't remember what it was. Yeah, but I don't even remember the night, the night owls or something. But it's something like that. But it's probably going to be a while before we find out for sure. There are other possible possibilities for the sequel's main antagonist, of course, but when it comes to certain villains, the Cape Cusider may or may not be going up against, Reeves did indicate that certain fantastical characters, including the likes of Gentleman Ghost, are off the table. What was important to me was to find a way to take these pop icons, like these mythic characters that everyone knows, translated, so Gotham feels like a place in our world. We might push to the edge of Fantasical, but we would never go into full fantastical.
Starting point is 00:08:45 It's meant to feel quite grounded. It doesn't mean he won't see characters that people love. It's exactly what we want to do. Gentleman Ghosts has probably pushed a bit too far for us be able to find a way to do it, but there is a fun way to think about how we would take characters that might push over into the fantastical and find a way to make sense of that. Okay. So that's, let's, the main story here, guys, is Barry Keogun potentially doing a Joker series for HBO Max. Koi, with the success of the, you know, the penguin, is this something that you think
Starting point is 00:09:17 that they should do or should we wait before we get the Joker? So the Joker scene I love most from the Batman wasn't the one they kept in the film. It's that slow burn kind of like one-on-one versus verbally that I thought was genius. And that showed how much better the character is. This is like a slow burn reveal and like playing it over time. I'm of the mind. You should never know too much about the Joker. So that's my apprehension is just like when you reveal too much about the Joker,
Starting point is 00:09:43 it does kind of undercut some of that. But I would love an organized crime Joker running crime in Gotham City, could be a long-form thing. As long as they don't go like the origin, like he's already established, he's already in Arkham. I don't need to see that. But him getting out of Arkham,
Starting point is 00:09:58 organized crime, all those things that Joker does so well. We haven't had a live-action Joker since 2008, in my opinion. We've had a Joker. We've had whatever Jared Letto was doing, but we haven't had the Joker since 2008. So I personally would love to see the character rectified. I would love to see the character get his due.
Starting point is 00:10:15 I think Barry Keoggan, especially in that scene, that wasn't in the movie, is exceptional. And we saw with the penguin, if you can do that with a character like the penguin, which a lot of people don't consider, you know, necessarily B or A list, kind of to see his villain at times. He has improved. If you can do that with the penguin, imagine what you could do with the Joker.
Starting point is 00:10:33 And I personally would love to see it because I love Barry, but that's my Irish. Like any time an Irishman's working, I'm happy. What do you think about this, Winston? Yeah, I'm not opposed to it. I think the one thing that is that I understand the world that we've established, but I think the one thing that I'm getting really annoyed with, and I know that that's what we're supposed to get from Brave and the Bold and moving to the DCU,
Starting point is 00:10:55 I'm getting actually tired of not dealing with Batman and the fantastical because even with things that are kind of really make-believe, which, to be honest with you, a man fighting crime solo 24-7 with super gadgets, even if it's a souped-up challenger, and, you know, grappling hooks that are flying all over the city is already fantastical as it is, to be honest with you. There are such interesting stories with said fantastical villains, like Mr. Freeze, for example,
Starting point is 00:11:25 and literally what he will note the lengths he will go to in order to save his wife or poison ivy and all of the stuff that she feels about the environment and whatnot. I understand that now you're talking about supernatural powers, but like they are infinitely interesting. I've explored the Joker plenty. Now, I'm not saying I don't want to see what Barry is bringing to the table. And I obviously acknowledge how incredible the penguin has been. And again, that is something that's just in mob lore, things like that. And that's kind of what we focused on.
Starting point is 00:11:57 I just, I think there is something missing for us to continue to just go to the hyper-realistic levels of Batman and not realize that the thing that makes him so interesting is the fact that he can still be on the edge of being a human, but taking on things that are far beyond that. And I really want to get to that place. So I'm not, I'm not anti-this. It sounds like it'll still be good if it's anything like the penguin, but I'm disappointed to hear that. So you echo the sentiments of there was a viewer yesterday that said kind of the same thing, where one of the things that makes Batman so special is that he is dealing with all this supernatural kind of crazy stuff. But he's a, he's a human.
Starting point is 00:12:38 He's got to do it. He's got to figure out a way to do it by not having superpower. And I think that is fair. The only thing, though, that I would say to that, is because I also agree with the idea of like, hey, we have all these other potential villains that we can be using and we're doing the Joker again. What I would say to that is the first part with the fantastical thing is if there was no DCU, then I would say, we did this with Nolan already, what are we doing? But with an else worlds, and they've already set it up, and this is the world
Starting point is 00:13:08 that they already set this up through Penguin, this is that, this is that version of the Batman, in the way that Koi doesn't necessarily love Man of Steel or what they were doing the version of Superman. The take on Superman. It's like that type of thing. And I think you like the movie though, right? Yeah, yeah, I like the movie. And I like that idea as an elseworld.
Starting point is 00:13:30 I just don't see it as Superman. I see it as an else world. So that's kind of my point with this, is that I like the David Fincher idea of it. But the other point I was going to make with the ratings side of it, is that you just got the penguin, which you got Colin Farley. very good because of the take the Sopranos element the Joker is going to bring people in episode one
Starting point is 00:13:51 you know it's just you call it the Joker people are gonna or you can I guess you can't do that oh yes you could call it the Joker you can't call it Joker yeah but you whatever you call you call it the Batman the Penguin the Joker it's the epic crime saga and the epic crime saga with the Crown Prince of Crime and setting up and setting up um the third Batman it sends up the third movie in a good way. So Winston, you were going to say something? Yeah, I'm not opposed to that. And I understand that's the biggest name in his Rogues Gallery by far. But I mean, like, again, I think there's two things working here. I'm not saying that Matt Reeves and his team can't have their own shot at all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:14:29 But that's where you could, if you really want to stay with like the grounded things, I know he's going to get to the quarter of hours. It sounds like in the Batman part two. So Hugo Strange is a super interesting character as far as that goes, just to throw somebody out there that's not that. There are plenty of people when you think about, like, Professor Pig and all this stuff that, again, they're not going to be the A-list names of things, but if you even
Starting point is 00:14:54 wanted to do like an Arkham series, I think would be a little more interesting than necessarily just diving back into the Joker and say if you really want to go there, save the Joker as the big bad for the Batman part three. I get it.
Starting point is 00:15:11 You got something super successful in the penguin Warner Brothers is in trouble so you take the biggest name that it is you have such an incredible actor and Barry Keogan like I see why we're doing that I just there is so much more to Batman than the Joker so to be going back down this path yet again especially even though they're not related the bad taste that's left in my mouth after Folly a do I just I know I get it but you but you see that if you're Warner Brothers executive going to make TV shows you know that's and and the success you had here you can see why they make them but absolutely yeah we ask you guys what you think about this put your comments in there put your thoughts in
Starting point is 00:15:46 there we really want to know like i think that it's very interesting that they're going to do this and i think continuing on what we just said with that story is they also talked a little bit about i love this is what i loved about the batman was to me and i think you guys agree we've discussed this in the past batman always had the detective element about him and i feel like out of all of the movies there were certain aspects in some of them but this one to me was the full on detective story all the way through until you got to the big batman ending at the at the end but i think you have to go with another crime story of the text story that's kind of what sets this one apart right winson no i i i truly agree um i think that's why to be honest with you even though it also seems weird
Starting point is 00:16:28 to take you know uh prepubescent and teenagers into battle as its own level of of fantastical but i that to me is where if you had laid certain groundworks it would have been even interesting to have like a red hood type situation i mean that that you would have to set a lot up to even get there um but yeah i agree the detective element is specifically is what makes this batman so interesting should make all batman's interesting because it's not just hey i'm really good at beating people up it's his and i have crazy gadget it's his mind his mind is what is so interesting about brutes uh so yeah koi you think this should definitely be detective i mean epic crime saga is what matt reves calls his universe so i think the
Starting point is 00:17:10 crime element and the detective work is the through line. So I love the idea of doing something new with two, court of owls, keeping the emperor Palpatine Joker behind pulling strings, building his empire. And then the bridge between two and three, much like between one and two with Penguin, between two and three with Joker, allows that big villain for three, which is, it sounds like what they're setting up. And I wouldn't mind if there's going to be like a two to four year gap between two and three. If they also put in, you know, some other characters like your Hugo Strange or Poison Ivy, you're, I want to Mr. Freeze very bad. And I think a love story told long form be really beautiful because the way that he loves Nora is the way that Bruce loves Gotham.
Starting point is 00:17:46 And I've always loved the parallel of pining for something that never can return that love for you. One, because she's frozen and two because Gotham's corrupt. Like there's such beautiful symmetry there. So there's plenty of stories to tell. Tell it over tens of tens of hours. Please give me more of this epic crime saga. I'd watch this quarterly. Like I want this forever.
Starting point is 00:18:02 And I personally, I don't get the like, you know, nobody asked for this after the penguin. And people should see that if a story's written well, it doesn't matter if you asked for it. Art isn't what you asked for. It's what makes you feel something. And if it's the same team that's really putting this all together, it's like, why wouldn't you trust them to try to do another one in this world? And what I think that the penguin show is already done is the second Oz shows up in the Batman 2. Yeah, exactly. You're going to be so ready for it because you're like, oh, I've spent so much time with him now.
Starting point is 00:18:34 And yeah, go ahead. No, just to echo your sentiment, I think that's why so many people were so upset about Dr. Strange, for example, in the multiverse of madness, it's because after that beautiful epic tapestry that was just weaved and what's going on in the Scarlet Witch's mind for it to feel like
Starting point is 00:18:53 it was just kind of shunned to the side. That's why it was so heartbreaking. And so many people had, like, you know, like a cognitive dissidence with that movie. I trust Matt Reeves so much. I don't think that that's something that we're going to have an issue at all. No, because he's unlike, unlike Dr. Strange, he's going to be aware of the show. He may have watched even written and helped create instead of ignored it.
Starting point is 00:19:19 I also think like we talk about with Daredevil. I've said many times, like the reason Kingpin and Daredevil work is because every punch lands twice. You care about Vincent Zonafrio's take as much. Not maybe I not as much, but pretty damn close, if not more than Charlie Cox's Daredevil, because of that lifetime of you know you've spent as much time with each of them and now we've spent more time with penguin so i'm really excited for that commentary in the batman too and i think if you can do that with joker if you can doubt those other villains i think it's a really good use of the hbo cinema synergy and there's no reason not to if we got the bandwidth totally agree um
Starting point is 00:19:52 and the same goes for you guys do you think that this is going to work out as a detective story the next one, how they're setting up all these other characters, please put your thoughts in there. We have way more to cover. There's so many stories. Before we do that, I have told you for the last two weeks, and I continue to tell you how much I am thrilled that we have been joined by Vaya. Starting point is 00:23:25 I guarantee you. All right, guys. So before we get going, Coy, I don't know if I, Winston and I talked about it before we start shooting, but you guys are usually the team to beat on Fridays. You got a steep hill to climb today, my friend. Do you know what happened yesterday?
Starting point is 00:23:45 I just saw 200. 201 was Roca and Steph joined forces yesterday and brought the house down with 201. That is, that is a tough one that is a tough one they before we even step and it also one it's roca and stuff so that helps right two it was the star wars news of the trilogy so that was going to do it um they had like 65 questions before we even started shooting wow good for them i give roca guff but good for them that's incredible that's commendable it was it was good and you guys are 13 at the moment which is still
Starting point is 00:24:18 any other very close any other day amazing but it's going to be tough today that's you know i i i don't rock with her like that but apparently that's Taylor Swift's lucky number so maybe she'll she'll share some of her billions with us I would appreciate we shall see um all right listen we have a rumor going on and I think Winston will be happy about this and the rumor is in what if the season three is rumored to feature the return of X-Men oops that's the penguin what's going on there that's cool what's that happened all right season three is rumored to feature return of X-Men 97's Allison Silly Smith as Following yesterday's confirmation that the third season of What If will feature the MCU debut of a well-known Marvel character. We're hearing that Allison Celie Smith is set to return to Voice Storm.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Following Esther's exciting what-if updates, we may have confirmation that a certain weather which will feature in the third season of Marvel's animated anthology series. Marvel's animation match outsy, who serves as head of story for the third season of What If, and X-Men 97 revealed that season three will not only introduce another new character created just for the show, but will also feature the long-anticipated MCU debut of a well-known Marvel character. He didn't reveal any names, but a previous rumor claimed that Storm would factor into the third season in Nexus Point News is reporting that Allison Sealy-Smith will return to voice the character. Since X-Men 97 is not set in the MCU, this would technically count as Aurora Monroe's MCU debut.
Starting point is 00:25:44 though some multiverse shenanigans could be a play but we don't know for certain if she's a character chaunce who's referring to how storm will be introduced remains to be seen but we have heard the mutant hero will be able thor's mighty hammer um all right so if she does i i don't take it that necessarily be her mc debut because you have all these different things happening in the multiverse that who knows you could ultimately say that she has made her mccu debut in any of the x-men movies because they're all going to be connected anyway in the same way that Andrew Garfield and Toby McGuire, their movies are now essentially part of the MCU because they all tie in. So, you know, you could already say that if you wanted to technically.
Starting point is 00:26:25 But it also makes a lot of sense because it's a freaking popular animated show on another popular animated show. So, Corey, you think this is true and should it be true? I think Storm appearing in what if makes a lot of sense with the success of X-Men 97. I think she's also a character that deserves a bit more screen time. time than some, you know, her story is so rich that I really think we need to have that established. I want a solo storm movie, and I think if the episode does well, maybe that's a conversation to be had, I think it makes sense. I mean, what if isn't exactly a flagship bit of Marvel,
Starting point is 00:27:00 because they kind of put it out unceremoniously in December and have it day and day, and I think it just kind of like allows for them to have stuff coming out at the Christmas season. so I would love if that episode at least got a little bit of hype, but it tracks. It's just not as exciting as I'd love for Storm to debut. It's not like, you know, it feels like it's in quotes. What do you think, Winston? I mean, yeah, in the sense that we know that what if is a part of the MCU,
Starting point is 00:27:25 but we have also learned because how many times that we guessed both season one and season two, oh, you know, because we saw that deal that, you know, the sorcerer Supreme Strange over here that he evil, he don't show up. He didn't. It was a different guy. So like there is that level of like it's connected, but it's not. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:42 But I think specifically, if you look at the year that Storm is having and some of the controversy that came out of 97, it was a small bit. But the idea that while people were like, okay, she lost her powers and the, the life death story was interesting, people were upset that there wasn't, not everyone, people were upset that there wasn't more focus on Storm. So if you're taking what she's getting right now as her. solo book that's doing fantastically well and she's joined the Avengers and all that. So she's really having this moment.
Starting point is 00:28:15 But you take into consideration that in the past you've seen her wheeled Thor's hammer and there's this conversation and reverence that Thor has for her and that she is a human but is referred to as a god because of what she's able to do. When you put all of that together, that seems actually like the perfect character to use as the anchor point to bring us into it just because Storm seems to be at the tip of everybody's tongue right now. and I think that she would be a great addition to the show. So I'm very much looking forward to it.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Yeah, I think that it makes sense to do it. And I don't think it necessarily ruins the debut because the other thing is, if you're looking at it as the what if series is smaller budget intended for smaller budget in theory, you know, comparison to everything else. But it's also you debut in the same way that you're doing creature commandos, right? Creature Commandos, yes. it's officially the launch of the DCU, right? But to most mainstream people,
Starting point is 00:29:12 Superman will be the launch of that, right? And in the same way that if Storm shows up here and what if, someone who shows up to the first time she ever shows up in live action, it's like, you go, well, this doesn't really count because she showed up in what if. So I think that to have it is a good way, it's a good nod to the series itself, what they're doing with it.
Starting point is 00:29:34 So we'll, I hope they have, I hope it's a X-Men, 27, what if. That'd be cool if it ties to that cannon. Like, that's what I'm hoping. Me too. Me too. Okay. So the next story is we can't get away from Deadpool and Wolverine. I mean, it's just, it had such a major impact on the box office and everything else. And then there was all this talk about whether it was Wesley Snipes and of course the Gambit story. And now we get some more gambit stuff. Apparently Marvel Studios is obsessed with Channing Tatum's take on Remi LeBoe, according to Ryan Reynolds. We still don't know for sure
Starting point is 00:30:08 if Tatum will return his Gambit in this MCU, but Ryan Reynolds believes that Marvel Studios is obsessed with his Deadpool and Wolverine co-star. Channing Tatum was given the opportunity to take on the role of Gambit and Deadpool and Wolverine after originally missing out on playing the heroic mutant. Disney acquired 20th Century Fox's assets and brought the studio's X-Men franchise
Starting point is 00:30:26 to an end. Tatum made his MCU debut as Remy LeBoe in the void, joining Electra, Blade, X-23 as members of the resistance, Wade Wilson, and Logan encountered when they were stranded by Mr. Paradox. A recently deleted scene from the movie strongly hinted that Gambit will be making his way to Earth 616 via a Marvel Sparkle Circle at some point, but we don't know for sure if Tatum will get to reprise his role. While chatting to Entertainment Weekly Awardist podcast, co-star Ryan Reynolds said he didn't know of any solid plans for Gambits' return,
Starting point is 00:31:00 but did mention that the studio is very high on Tatum's take on the Rage and Cajun. but I honestly don't know what goes on behind closed doors in the bookkeeping sessions at Marvel, but I do know that they're obsessed with him in that role. It's kind of like the same situation I went through. Once you show that it works, well, that's really what they need. Sometimes you just need to see it in an action. Enchanting is so singular in how he played that character, but he also so beautiful physically the way he moves and the way he can pick up steps,
Starting point is 00:31:26 we'd be surprised if Tatum didn't suit up his gambit again in the MCU, although it's worth mentioning that not everyone was quite as impressed by his performance in Deadpool and Wolverine. for Marvel. Okay. So I think that the concern here from a lot of people, myself included, it's not that he wasn't great in this movie. He was great. He added to the tone that this movie was.
Starting point is 00:31:51 And when he started in that scene, it was comedy, comedy, comedy, goofy, goofy, and then when he fought, he was great. He wasn't like stumbling and tripping. He could fight and used his cards and he was a badass. The problem is that I don't know if they're going to do a single movie of Gambit. It can't be that version of the character. It can't be that goofy. Go ahead, Winston.
Starting point is 00:32:15 You're muted. Oh, there we go. Sorry. I think that we'll be fine. Just because my counter to that and not to like come at you or anything is to look at literally every character that was on a much more even keeled inside of their own property. So like Chris Evans took Johnny Storm to the next degree. Even Wesley more like little nods to the camera type stuff, Electra, even though the movie
Starting point is 00:32:42 was very good. Same thing. Because of the tone of the film, it was jockey, jockey, jockey, jockey, jockey, jockey, but if you put them in their individual properties, it worked fine. I think you would get the same thing out of Channing's Gambit and that by the nature of Channing Tatum really being more of a comedic actor than anything. Is there going to be some in there? and because of Gambit's charm, will that show up?
Starting point is 00:33:02 Sure. But I don't think it'll be to the nth degree that it was in this because that's just what this film called for. I do think that it will be. That's what I'm essentially what I said, but for sure. It's like that it is a concern that if it is that goofy, it's not going to work, but there's also the side that they can make it very serious. But, Coy, I think that the other thing on the table here is that Gambit,
Starting point is 00:33:27 Channing Tatum was supposed to do this movie like 10 years ago, right? If they're trying to usher in a new wave of X-Men, and they're already talking about potentially having Hugh Jackman back as the MCU Wolverine and then Channing as as Gambit, isn't it just kind of holding on to the past and not taking risk with the future? I think the Hugh Jackman and Gambit choices here are going to be up until Secret Ors. I don't think you get solo Gambit movie or even X-Men with Channing Tatum. I think that that is a great opportunity for Doomsday, a great opportunity for Secret
Starting point is 00:34:05 Ors, great opportunity for cameos leading up to that. I honestly think the X-Men in their new iteration with new cast members start after Secret Orrs or blend in and we get multiple gambits. But like, I don't think post-Secer Ors, that is the Channing Tatum gambit we're getting. I think that Channing Tatum absolutely after 15 years. Well, since he was a kid, he's been dressing like Gamble. but for 15 years fighting to play the role, but wanting it for 30 years,
Starting point is 00:34:28 I'd love to see him get secret orders in Doomsday and get to be in these giant scope movies, lots of characters. I don't think that necessarily means he's going to be when a movie is called X-Men. I don't think that's going to be Channing Tatum as Gambit. But like the dude just lost the most badass woman in the world. So give him some gambit time.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Let him heal. I would say, yeah, what happened? He was, him and Zoe broke up, man. I was devastated. I don't believe in love anymore. This just shows you how I am not tapped into any of this stuff. I was only into them too because I've had a crush and Zohrave it since I knew what crushes were.
Starting point is 00:34:59 And then I was happy for chanting. But I'm proud of myself. I'm proud of myself that I don't know this stuff because like three years. But I will. Listen, I'll tell you that there was a time when I would look at the us weeklies on the grocery store and see what's happening. But now I have no idea because I can show you how I to tune because you mentioned that. I said, oh yeah. The only reason I know that is because I saw it about two or three weeks ago and said, oh, I thought he was married.
Starting point is 00:35:23 I guess he's been divorced. He was. And he was like six years ago. Yeah. Most celebrities, like the new wave of celebrities, I don't know because there are a lot of like internet folk. And like we work on the internet, but in a different corner. So like, I'm like that with like anyone under 30 now where I'm like, oh, I, blee blop is having
Starting point is 00:35:42 a moment. And I don't know what this name is. And Channing Tatum, I only pursued because I like, Zoe Kravitz's life. And didn't she just direct him in a movie? She did. Yeah, Blink twice, which he was great and not comedic. like there's comedic elements but his serious side like he's he's he's he's very much improved from when he started out i mean remember he started out in that sprite commercial as an action and
Starting point is 00:36:02 that's what he's then his dance era the step-up stuff yeah the sprite commercial is where he was discovered and then i'll never forget that i remember like seeing him he one of the few people i remember being the movie theater sounds like that guy could be an action start i remember telling nevede mackalurgy at silver the same thing he's like that's what i said and then and then he turns and he blows up but anyway wait wait he was viny chase is what you're telling me because that is that what happened to viny chase that well yeah in an entourage uh ari was just like i found you doing you know that that perfum commercial yeah or so or something like that and now you're the aquaman like right yeah it's that's what i mean that happens a lot of people but either way um he has improved
Starting point is 00:36:44 dramatically and so i'd like to see him i agree with you coy i think that to see him in the Avengers movies and all that stuff and sure I don't think he needs a single movie I think this is also Ryan Reynolds politicking I think this is him trying to get his buddy in to get his own movie finally I think Marvel right now is also very focused on um how do I say this kindly uh meme culture and impact in the culture of like what's going to trend what's going to be a tick-tac what's going to be please explain this and all that garbage uh and so I think that Channing is a great great actor and very talented and loves Gambit, but I think that's secondary to he's going to make a name for himself out here. Like I think they just want the meme culture to be something they can
Starting point is 00:37:31 market. And I think that's absolutely Channing. We just benefit because he's actually good in the role in that format. So I think it's perfect for the next four years. But I think when the meme isn't the centerpiece, Gambit has a serious take. Channing wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to play that because of how long it's been. But when that time comes, I think they know to cast someone for that role. But right now leading up the Avengers you've got downy is doomed they're looking at things about what's going to get instagram views and i think channing does all right let me see let me ask so will channing tatum have his own single gambit movie i wish i knew fair enough bringing it back uh the reason that's back is i don't know if you know this winston but big
Starting point is 00:38:11 balls at the moment is dead um and coy didn't know that either i didn't know you i know you and you were you were you were cradling him also nice last week um what happened is is that my roadcaster completely died on me last week. I tried to turn it on and it would not turn on. It has that stupid like this, the one that you have, Winston, the one that I have now. Very simple, good thing. You push the button.
Starting point is 00:38:33 It goes on. This one, you have to dig your figure into it. And then it magically turns on. Well, it wasn't turning on at all. It completely isn't working. And I thought I was screwed, but I remembered I had this. So I put it in the Amazon wish list as something. But the chances of that happening are slim to none.
Starting point is 00:38:50 So big ball should be gone for a very long time because it's, yeah, it's going to be a bit. Okay. So we got a couple other stories here, guys. One of the, and right now you guys are currently at 17, 17 questions at the moment. And now we get to the- You're going to catch them. You're going to get them. You'll only need about a hundred and-
Starting point is 00:39:09 180 more. We got them. 184. We've crazier things have happened, Quay. The very first one that I did that I ended up taking the record and we had like eight until we started answer that's true that's true yeah it's that's true you had a you had a big comment before because not only did because remember winston had set the single record um send a record by himself and then roca surpassed that with like one four 35 and then roca and stuff just annihilated it yesterday so that's
Starting point is 00:39:37 going to be a hard one in general to be so that's that that news that star wars news um okay next question or next story rather and it is captain america brave new world crazy popcorn bucket revealed as rumor swirl about the next trailer release. Ahead of Captain America, Brave New World's release in theaters next February. Awesome, undeniably crazy popcorn bucket has been revealed featuring Harrison Ford's villainous Red Hulk. Check it out. How dare you, sir? Captain America, Brave New World is the next Marvel Studios movie heading out our way and fans
Starting point is 00:40:10 remain optimistic that Falcon and Winter Soldier sequel will kick off in 2025 in style. It's no secret that Sam Wilson's first solo outing has undergone extensive, issues. So we're hoping those fix the movie rather than plastering over issues to glaring to hide. Now we have a supposed first look at Captain America Brave New World's popcorn bucket, as you can see below. It's a, what is it, it's Red Hulk breaking Sam's shield in half. Presumably the popcorn is somewhere in the back. Will the iconic shield actually be snapped? That remains to be seen, but this is a pretty big spoiler. If so, if related, news, Scooper Daniel Rickman is reporting that a new trailer for the movie will be released tomorrow at D23 Brazil. So let's see.
Starting point is 00:40:51 That's what was really interesting, and it shows the nature and the beauty of Harrison Ford. When he got set, he pulled me aside. And he was like, hey, kid, I'm 46 years old. He goes, hey, kid, this is your movie. He was like, I'm here to support you. And to him, you are a kid. We're talking about. And I'm here to make sure after this movie comes out, everyone knows your name.
Starting point is 00:41:09 And there are a lot of people on his level that would not do that. There are lots of people at his scale of work who would not do that. So there's the actual, that's a cool. That's cool. That's a cool bucket. I like that. In Captain America Brave New World after meeting, it's just the synopsis. Okay. So I'm a two-size of this. One side is I'm getting tired of the popcorn buckets, where every movie has a popcorn bucket now.
Starting point is 00:41:38 But the other side of it is it's a pretty cool popcorn bucket. I think when there's an exception to anything, it's like, well, that's actually exciting. So it's worth it. Like the venom popcorn bucket, one of the, of them was awesome and the rest were like fine. But I when I saw one of the venom ones, I was like, oh, that's awesome. And then someone broke in my car and stole it. And so someone still is very obsessed with popcorn buckets car. Car break in level. Um, but it, uh, and I flew back from New York from the preying. It was a whole to do it was like someone crazy. Wait, someone stole it. Yeah. Some of broken my car and stole it. Stole. It literally like the amount of effort it took to get that big a popcorn bucket back across the country. Oh, I got stolen from my car the night I got back. Well, I and I, and I feel for you. I do. I do. I. I. do feel for you but I also say why the hell did you leave it in your car? Because I took I took four trips from my car with all the suitcases and stuff and that was the one thing I didn't go back a fifth it was just literally like I'm tired I just
Starting point is 00:42:30 flew cross country who's gonna take a popcorn bucket well spoiler alert someone. At the very least my got put it in the trunk. Put it in the trunk. The trunk was where all the suitcases were and my windows are tinned. My windows are tinted so it made sense to me I don't know here I am lesson learned nothing now there's nothing in the car they went through my whole glove box tore the whole car up like they literally came up by car trash yeah they just ransacked all thing that happened to me and they just happened to take that my wife had left um like when i was in i was in new york looking for studios and other things last year and and my wife had done this before she had left the car door open before on the street
Starting point is 00:43:09 where we were and someone had gotten in there before and ran through stuff and so this time they she did it again and she's like they took your jacket and there was this jacket that I loved. It was this black jacket that kept in it. And it was like the skinny jacket. I could literally turn make it into a ball and put it into the freaking my my backpack or anything. And it, but it still, it kept, it could be 20 degrees outside. It would keep me so warm. And that is now gone. Um, because of the stupid car thing. But anyway, that's, that's a whole other conversation. Popcorn buckets. That's it. Popcorn buckets. But yeah, but Winston, what do you think about the popcorn bucket? What do you think about this? Do you have hope for this movie? Do you think, do you think,
Starting point is 00:43:49 think that it might because the screenings have the reports rumors that it's not testing very well but what do you think i i've heard that um that that certainly makes me nervous uh especially because we've done a number of reshoots now on it i'm going to selfishly be optimistic because uh my best friend's dad is in the film so like i just you know i love carl i want i want you know a continued story uh with him to do well but as far as a popcorn bucket, I'm on the same side with you or honestly, there have been three
Starting point is 00:44:26 that have stood out in my mind. It's this guy over here, maybe four. This guy over here that we got Deadpool and Wolverine. The dude one that set it all off in the first place to even think of this as an idea which became a whole meme. The Batman re-release.
Starting point is 00:44:43 I don't know if you saw. They made a working bat signal popcorn bucket. Yeah, well, the Beatles just, Bealgers too had a good one too. Gladiators is the most creative one I've seen because it's used as AR. So when you scan it, there's an actual fight in the Coliseum. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:44:57 Wow. So the bucket's the Coliseum. And then when you scan your codes, there's a battle in your bucket. I mean, so then that would actually be my number four to my Mount Rushmore. But like, I get it. It's like kind of a cool thing. But it's clearly the same way that you see any franchise, anything, they push toys. And especially for theaters teaming up with studios being like, we need to sell more concessions
Starting point is 00:45:18 type stuff. I get it. I'm happy that there's a profit for the theater. You know what I mean? Like I echo what you're saying. Like I think it's a necessity in the current time. People love collectibles. People love remembering the experience. And it's kind of like buying a band tea. Like you don't need to spend $60 on a t-shirt, but the memory is
Starting point is 00:45:34 attached to the t-shirt. So the bucket's attached to the movie memory. Yeah, but I have one caveat is that, again, you see how big that guy right back there is, right? You only have so much space in your house and you're only going to spend this one's really cool. I need this. $40 to $50 or whatever popular and then you're done until you see the next cool one
Starting point is 00:45:52 what but when you're going to put it like I'm gonna tell you this right now unless you live alone I don't know a single person's wife husband that's like by all means get a 30th popcorn bucket like it's 30 30 30 to trying to try to smuggle in the one deadpool wolverine I had into my house was like what do we need that for and and then the other thing I did see that I would that I almost got but I guess going to your point Winston I didn't get it because I was like A I don't want to want to pay for it and then b i already have one of these things is that that beatles just one the beatles one was the um the handbook for the recently deceased that that's cool which was pretty i don't
Starting point is 00:46:28 know what you know it was a popcorn bucket or what the hell it was but it was some kind of memorabilia it was it was pretty great but i was like nah i'm not going to get i'll tell you i really do enjoy the new york movie theaters the manhattan ones i don't know where you saw um the venom premier the regal time square yeah i think it was yeah regal time square is where you went or regal okay yeah that makes sense it was a time square or union square now i don't remember it was near uh is a broadway near broadway yeah it's a near broadway yeah yeah so that's time square yeah okay yes it's like a four story one yeah there is a resell market for popcorn buckets oh yeah oh yeah dude that's my my buddy my buddy went with me to the deadpool wolverine he's like i got to get this and they
Starting point is 00:47:09 they they sell the crap out of these things yeah yeah whoa yeah but i don't want to get rid of it but I wouldn't know for sure. All right, let's move on, though, to the next story, which I was just talking to Josh Harwitz the other day. And he had told me that he was interviewing Nicholas Holt. And I said, you know you're going to get some good stuff out of that. And he did.
Starting point is 00:47:29 That and more. You got some great stuff. So this is Superman star Nicholas Holt. Breaks his silence on losing the lead role in the Batman to Robert Pattinson. So Nicholas Holt narrowly missed out on the roles of Bruce Wayne to Robert Pattinson. and the Batman reflects on that and his decision to eventually join DCU. It's no secret that Nicholas Holt made it down to the final two for the Batman, only to ultimately lose the role of Bruce Wayne to Robert Pattinson.
Starting point is 00:47:56 Don't feel so sorry for him, although it wasn't very long until the British actor landed a role in Superman in the wider DCU. We'd imagine as Lex Luthor. Talking to Josh Harowitz, Holt reflected on missing out on playing the Cape Crusader and admitted. It wasn't easy to come that close to a dream role, only to miss out at the very minute. Last minute. Yeah, of course, to the most. emotional blow because your imagination doesn't know you're aware on a practical level you're like I know I'm auditioning against Rob and Rob's fantastic in that movie I think that that was the right decision but also you get excited about the prospect Matt's a fantastic director in the script and everything I was like this is going to be a cool movie I want to be a part of it and it's a brilliant character
Starting point is 00:48:31 so there's obviously a weird period before you can go to get the acceptance and see the movie and be like oh yeah that works and that was the right choice you have to go through the period of like oh what could I have done differently you run through all those things obviously the jury number two star would go on to say that as well as the emotional toll of losing out on the role the fact of the process was made so public presented another challenge altogether there was a small matter of patents and becoming the clear favor before you even audition most people today don't care about this stuff but it feels weird because you're like oh and it's one thing to have your failures it's one thing to have them publicly broadcasted seemingly to everyone it adds an element of drama to it I suppose I remember a week before we did the Batman test I was driving in my car and I had the radio on and they were like talking on the radio about how Rob was going to be the next Batman and I was like
Starting point is 00:49:16 well it's not confirmed yet I was like I'm auditioning next weekend give me a chance in the rest of the interview Holt also talks about the moment he realized he'd be a better fit for Luther than Superman my Lex Manisteele is the comic that's been most useful to him and why he didn't hesitate to join DCUs with James Gunn after missing out on the Batman which I guess we can jump to that story in a second here too but we let's let's let's stay with this you hear those comments coy and like he um he handles out obviously with class and it does the thing that stood out to me on that particular quote was what actors have to deal with today with social media in the fact that they you just have this audition they're about these guys about to go in next week and then here's everyone
Starting point is 00:49:56 saying oh well patinson's got it and he's and you know there's one side of it that goes well it doesn't mean anything they don't know anything but then if if you look back at it after maybe that had something to do with it maybe it maybe it was public opinion that the got people were talking about it and that that maybe influenced James Gunn's decision. So what do you think about this? People love to crap on actors, but I'd love to see anyone going out for any job audition, have that be public and deal with that scrutiny and wonder how tens of millions of people would judge. It is fascinating.
Starting point is 00:50:24 It's a very different world acting right now. I think it's interesting how much we know that he was almost Batman and almost Superman, and now he's Lex Luther. I think it's a really fun origin for him to hate Superman because he almost was. Like there's a lot of fun backstory wrapped into it. also the fact that he was covered in hair and now he has none. There's so much lore around Nicholas Holt as superheroes. And as someone that really likes his work, I could see him as any of those roles because
Starting point is 00:50:50 he's so versatile. Like he's got the gloomy intensity for Batman. He's got the altruism for Superman as he plays the different levels of his toolkit. But I think of all Lex Luthor really suits him. I remember when we were talking about it, I was really excited for him as Superman because he was in that final running. And I felt like a lot of people weren't. And then once he started talking about what comics he read for Lex Luthor, once I realized how dedicated he was.
Starting point is 00:51:13 I've only ran in the Nicholas Holt twice and both times. His comic knowledge blew my mind. Like we talked to comics and he didn't feel like he had read a Wikipedia. He felt like he had read like dozens of comics and had his own taste to pick favorites. It felt like an authentic place. And that always impresses me when an actor does that much research to have their own opinions, not mimicking whatever message boards say, are the best blankety blank. even the Lex Luthor he pulls here is well regarded, but it's not like a surface level pull. So I'm really impressed the dude, and I can't wait to see his Lex Luthor.
Starting point is 00:51:44 And Winston. Yeah, I actually just covered this yesterday on Blurred Breakdown. So for sure, you can get my full thoughts. I told a story about it there. But what I can say specifically here, just to add to the conversation, I am most excited about the idea of him actually playing a villain. at least from the work that I've seen of him, I love what he did with Beast. I really enjoyed him in Renfield, even though that wasn't the best movie.
Starting point is 00:52:10 I thought that he was really fun in that. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the diabolical mastermind come to life. And if I get more of the Lex that I find interesting, which tended to be like the 2000s Justice League cartoon Lex, the um even the the the injustice run recently even though he's playing a hero in that guys he's still a villain that's like i finally get a reason to hate superman and y'all all have to agree with me if i'm getting that element of of just kind of diabolical lex because i felt like obviously jean haggman did a great job but jean hackman feels like you know uh oh my god
Starting point is 00:52:52 why can i not remember his name all of a sudden uh adam west uh oh it feels like an adam west Yeah, he feels a lot like Caesar Romano. Thank you. Wow. Yes. Oh, very much so to me. That's that, like the, like the whole Otisburg thing. I love what he did, but yes, he felt.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Otisberg. Yeah, exactly. That's, that's how that felt. And then I just did not like Eisenberg's take it. I don't think that that's necessarily his fault. I think it was the direction he was given on that. So if you're going to give me the man that legitimately, if he could get out of his own way, could,
Starting point is 00:53:27 legitimately be the thing that could save humanity and make it a better place type of Lex Luthor, the person whose ego is the only reason that he is not loved the way that he wants to be loved, then I'm actually here for that. And I think that Nicholas Holt can do that because he has that kind of good guy, innocent charm. So if he's using that as a facade and he's actually over here being a piece of crap, I think that it'll be fantastic. Yeah, I am, I'm impressed by him always happen he has played bad guys in the past but not to this level um so i want to see and and they said it very well that he's going to be doing this for quite a while if if this thing works if if superman works this is going this is lex luther i mean he is going to be one of the big bads of the
Starting point is 00:54:13 entire dc u and so speaking of that he was talking about why playing lex luther would be more fun than playing the Man of Steel. And so he talked about more about going from auditioning for Superman's lead role to playing Lex Luther and why the character appealed more to him. He also shares praise for James Gunn. After narrowly missing out on the Batman, Nicholas Holt was approached by DC Studios and eventually cast as Lex Luther. After initially being eyed to suit up as Superman, as you all know, David Corensohn's what was later cast, talking again to Josh Harowitz, Holt confirmed he's suited up for a Superman screen test, but realized he'd be a better fit for Lex
Starting point is 00:54:50 while reading James Gunn's Superman script. It's funny because when I first read the script, I remember reading it and there was a little inkling part of me was like, oh, I think you'd have more fun playing Lex. And I didn't say anything. And then when James Gunn called me to play Lex, I did kind of cackle. I think is how I described it.
Starting point is 00:55:08 I didn't say anything. I think he said, we want you to play Lex. And I just laughed because I think there was something in my instinct when I first read this script. and I was like, I think that's more what I should be doing in this story. Holt also revealed that Brian Azarello and Lee Barjammo's Lex Luthor Man of Steel was a story he really resonated with while doing his research. In a separate interview with Deadline, he said,
Starting point is 00:55:31 I'm a fan of Superman and Lex Luthor as a character, so hopefully we've done something special with it that people enjoy. I just love working with James Gunn. I think he's an incredible director as such a great sense of that world, that story, those characters. I just put my trust to him. So this is good. I think this to me is something that's really important for the role that's someone who's so locked in.
Starting point is 00:55:55 But it goes back to what we were talking about, guys. Remember when the casting rumors were happening that we were all like, he shouldn't be going out for Superman. He should be Lex Luthor. You're all saying that. And it turns out to be true. But Coy, what do you think about these comments in general? The Liebermejo Lex Lerluthor book, with Brian Azarello writing. is so good. And again, it's a, it's a known book, but it's not like a surface pull. So I really love
Starting point is 00:56:19 that he's referencing that. It's a really interesting, captivating take. To me, no one's come close to Michael Rosenbaum's take. I see that as Lex Luthor to this day. And I feel like that Azarela Run reflects that. I think the nuance of Lex Luthor is fascinating. I think we're living in a really, really, really interesting time to have a Lex Luthor. Like, we're looking at, you know, the next four years of superhero stuff. We've got Mayor Fisk. We've got Homelander in a position of We've got Lex Luthor, a billionaire in position of power. We've got a lot of interesting stuff coming. So I think Lex Luthor is perhaps the most topical antithesis to Superman possible.
Starting point is 00:56:56 So I'm really excited to see this take. Winston, what do you think? Do you have any tabs open right now, Winston? No. Because I can't see you. Did, but no. I was just looking at his IMDB. It's not showing at all.
Starting point is 00:57:12 You're pretty blurry. now you're frozen. All righty. Cool. So, all right. Well, while you get that working, I will also say that I think that Nicholas Holt is one of those guys as just a premier, premier actor. And I think that this is going to be,
Starting point is 00:57:38 and where we're just talking about Anthony Mackey having that conversation with Harrison Ford about helping his career out being a household name. I think this is going to make Nicholas Holt, that household name for sure as Lex Luthor. I think he's going to be a great performance. But I also think you're going to start seeing because of it, he's going to have the kind of career where there's some people that are just typecast as the role forever and can't break out of it. And then there's other people who do a big role like this and then just turn it into the next thing and then the next thing and then the next thing and then a drama and then an Oscar. I think Nicholas Holt is that kind of actor.
Starting point is 00:58:14 But I don't know. And then Quay here. Winston made me sidewitz. What happened? What did I make you sidewling? I was just sitting here and you came back and now you pushed me over. Winston's gone and just like this quick. This is unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:58:29 All right. Here's what. I'm running real. All right. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to get to your questions now. Starting point is 01:02:10 the questions themselves Winston your your audio's on yeah yeah yeah you can hear me yep I'm all right So we are going to start here. And our first question, this one comes in. I believe it's from our good buddy EWalk, which I, EWAC's been a long time contributor. So we're excited to have him back here today. Oh, you know what? Before we do that, I'm sorry, because I have, I brought it up.
Starting point is 01:02:33 I want to do it because we'll do it now so that way we don't do it at the end. A couple things to discuss. The first is next Wednesday, as I've done many times over and you guys know me, or maybe you don't. I have a channel called Down Earth with Christian Harloff where I cover the UAP phenomenon. The only time that I, because I used to do it on this channel, and I took it off and I put it on the down-earth channel, next Wednesday, because I think it's that important, I'm going to be doing a live stream that will air on both the down-to-earth channel and this channel, and it will be covering
Starting point is 01:03:01 the second congressional UAP hearing, which I'm sure a lot of you didn't even know what's happening because the media decides they don't like to cover it, but it is many different people, witnesses and things coming forward to discuss it. So it could be a big nothing burger, could be something huge so we're gonna we're gonna cover that but i also wanted to talk to winston and coy winston got a lot going on in the channel right now where what's up and where can they find you yeah you can find me at the swaggy blurred over here on youtube uh again i just mentioned the blurred breakdown that's uh my pop culture show when you need to know see what happened was and i've been covering everything that you've seen i've been doing a segment called diddy or didney uh keeping you up to
Starting point is 01:03:40 date on what's going on with all the trials and stuff not with diddy i got some sports stuff in there this was just full of all sorts of nerd content. So definitely come over, check that out, say what's up. And then other than that, I will be doing a spill the tequila with Roca this Saturday. And then on Sunday, we're doing a Blurred's post-election specials. If you need to air out some grievances, we'll be doing that on Sunday as well. You can find me on my page at Coy Jondro. Lots of comic stuff.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Every week's comics. I read about 70 a week. And then I give you my top nine favorite books and I try to make them very approachable. just finished covering Agatha covering Penguin the finale this Sunday and then November December are crazy because the big thing for me in November is Gladiator 2 I'll be reviewing but then in December we've got both Creature Commandos kicking off the DCU and what if season 3 so I think I'm gonna be almost daily in December because I'll be doing like weekly comic stuff and then each and every episode of that plus all the movies coming out so like 30 videos I think I've got scheduled for
Starting point is 01:04:38 December so if you ever have any questions for me like comic specific and it's in between weeks of this show. I'm trying to start alive over there once a week to do that this week in comics live now instead of pre-recorded. Christian suggested I try to get like an hour long show over there and that's the new plan for that show. So always trying to get new stuff cooking on that page. So please help me down over there. I'm approaching. I'm at like 36 one in a row. So I'm really hanging for that 40K by the end of the year if I can. Yeah, both the guys are really working hard. So go over there and support them. All right. So first question here guys is from EWalk. Christian, now having seen Gladiator 2, are you now more or less excited to see Pedro Pascall and Joseph Quinn in Fantastic 4?
Starting point is 01:05:17 It's a great question, but I would tell you that I don't think that my opinion has changed. I was, I feel exactly the same way I did before. I love Joseph Quinn. I think he's a great choice for Johnny when that was being rumored. I said, that's the guy. You should definitely pick him. Petro Piscal, I got no, I think Pedro was wonderful. He's great in the movie.
Starting point is 01:05:37 He's great gladiator too, also always great. my I was never not excited for it. My only thing was there was that rumor that was going around that we've discussed and two are all blue in the face and we're on the same page. And if if the rumor was that Kevin Feigy was like, oh, we need to, we have to hire someone who's not white. If that was indeed, and no, that's never been confirmed, by the way. But if that was the case, then I don't think that's fair to do to somebody just because.
Starting point is 01:06:03 But if Pedro Piscall, which is also very, very possible, read for something, They said one thing. They said, have him read for Reed Richards and see what he does. And he knocked out of the park and said, that's exactly who we want, which is Pedro Viscal. So I'm excited to see him in it. Did their performances in Gladiator 2 do anything? No, because they were both awesome. And I knew that they would be.
Starting point is 01:06:24 So I don't know. Corey, is this going to determine whether or not you're going to be excited or not? I mean, I like Pedro Pescal and Joseph Quinn, both as actors already. I'm super excited for Gladiator 2, but I don't feel like the tone of that movie will you know, inform the tone of the fantastic floor. So I still won't be seeing Pedro Pascale as a blindingly intelligent, arrogant, sort of aloof, father scientist in Gladiator, unless the movie is different than I expected.
Starting point is 01:06:54 And I don't think I'll be seeing a hot-headed, arrogant movie star-esque Johnny Storm unless the movie's different than I expected. So I don't think Gladiator specifically will inform that take. I think I won't know how I like them in the role until July. Winston. Yeah, I think there's been enough given to us by their previous works to already indicate that they've got it covered. I think of Pedro specifically from Game of Thrones, and that's where that arrogance clicks in for me. So no, I don't think Gladiator is going to affect it one way or the other. I'm just excited to see Gladiator. Yeah, I hope you guys enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:07:33 Like I said, there's still an embargo on it, so I just gave my initial thoughts. um do you know when the embargo's up monday okay cool so when i see it sunday i won't have to wait long no you'll be good it's monday but the um but the social reaction is that that you can do you can do out of the theater cool yeah um okay so the next one here is from ian davis what's up being how you doing but kimberg being more of a producer who would your dream director be for these new star wars movies and if they did change the higher up position who should take the helm a Faloni's current job. Let's start with that one first.
Starting point is 01:08:12 A Faloni's current job, which I have been saying, again, till I'm blue in the face, I think that the TV, sorry not the TV, but the animation, the video games, the books, people, the comics, keep them. They're doing good, leave them. You got to gut Lucas film, all the TV and film people. You've got to get rid of them because it's one regime. It's not just Kathleen Kennedy.
Starting point is 01:08:34 It's one whole regime. Everybody else got to go. And that's, I think, Faloni, you move them to anime. you got to get him out of the position he's in. So if that was the case, I'm going to tell you the name that I'm going to give you is someone you don't know. And that's my answer, someone you don't know.
Starting point is 01:08:52 Because you didn't know who Kevin Feigey was. He became Kevin Feige. You know, he became that version from all the decisions he was making because he was good at what he did and he made his way up. And he need an executive with anywhere between 35 to 55 years old and someone who understands Star Wars, understands the business, understands all of it, and they can build a team around them. That is who you need to replace Foloni and someone who can replace Kathleen Kennedy. Yeah, I think that that's a good point.
Starting point is 01:09:24 I think the thing to look at how did Figey work? And if you look at the fact that he was producing the X-Men films previously, and he actually presented to Fox and X-Men cinematic universe and they didn't bite. And so then when it was, you know, he was like, okay, but I still think this is a good idea. He then transitioned to go do that just straight up with Marvel Studios. And then the rest is history, the buyout by Disney, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You need to find somebody who's doing that same kind of thing. They've already gotten their teeth cut, producing big IP type stuff. Yeah, they have big ideas, the way that you're even now doing with gun.
Starting point is 01:09:58 Yeah, I have a lot of faith gun too and what he did with Guardians to catapult himself into doing the same type of thing. Coy? I think I believe a Star Wars movie exists when it's in front of me, much less a trilogy. You know, they got to start with one first and see if two and three happens. It's such a joke. It's such a joke. And as far as the directors go, I really have the same answer in there. You look at, I use the example of Ryan Cuehler. Ryan Cougar had delivered on FruitVell Station and then he delivered big on Creed, which good movie, really good movie, but not a big blockbuster movie. but a good movie.
Starting point is 01:10:36 And then he landed Black Panther because it was like, hey, this is something I want to do. I'm going to play ball with Marvel, but I'm going to put my spin on it and my take on it also still make it work within the universe. That's who they need for this trilogy. They don't need a JJ Abrams. They don't need a Ryan Johnson. They don't need
Starting point is 01:10:52 people who just make your own movie. No, they will do that because Lucasfilm is a freaking disaster. But like if it was actually, you know, a competent production company, they would go and get people that can make these things happen, like that will play ball and it'll be continuity. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:12 All right. I fully agree. All right. Next one, which would be Roman Fedorak. Hey, you guys are all awesome in your own way. Thank you. Shout out to Winston for the Velocopaster recommendation. Holy God, that was something.
Starting point is 01:11:27 I guess he watched it. Yeah. I'm glad you watched it because it's so absurd. That might be. My favorite bad movie ever slash if you wanted to find a drinking game for a movie just from the absurd. Every time something that literally will make you go, what the F am I watching? That's it. You have to take a drink.
Starting point is 01:11:51 Oh, my God. Well, you made him watch it and you liked it. So there you go. EWalk. Is it wise for WB to double down on Reeves Batverse by adding more spin-off shows? Won't that just make it harder to establish Batman and Guns DCU? Coy, why don't you take this? I think they're going to be so different.
Starting point is 01:12:10 It will not be hard at all. When I read Detective Comics, it doesn't confuse Batman comics. When I read blank, it doesn't mess with blank. I don't think people are confused about Spider-Verse versus Spider-Man and Tom Holland. So I personally don't think so. I just want more and more and more of the epic crime saga. And I personally like a grounded Batman much more than like we've had. two grounded Batman universes, and we've had Adam West and Tim Burton and what Schumacher was
Starting point is 01:12:38 doing with the commercialization of Batman. Like we've had a lot of the crazy hokey big stuff. And I'm excited to see that supernatural elevated with someone controlling it in a modern way. But I see Batman as grounded. So the more we can get of both, it's such a, Batman's such a fascinating character. You can do both. I don't think it's going to confuse. It might confuse a few people, but I don't think it'll confuse most people. Winston. Yeah, I don't think it will confuse people. I think what I'm more concerned about, to be honest with you, but I get it. This has become such a shareholder business now instead of like really focusing on the art and like let's see what comes. I would have preferred that we don't even start talking about it like because the Joker series is how we kind of got here, right?
Starting point is 01:13:22 Don't even start talking about that in my opinion until we're kind of getting towards the Batman to actually being ready to. to be here because I think the main thing where fans have gotten so upset now, not just with superheroes, but in general, this idea is like, cool, you're about to get this mummy movie. And here's a whole dark universe of 50 films we're doing of all these monsters. It's going to be great. And then it doesn't manifest. I'm just getting tired of you promising me the universe. And I got like a little, you know, thousand square foot like studio thing going on.
Starting point is 01:13:56 Like just just right. In fairness, though, like the Matt Reeves stuff. they haven't announced anything officially. So like I think the internet is making that the problem. Like it's people going like, this is real. It's going to happen. And then being like,
Starting point is 01:14:09 we never said that, bro. And that's, that's most these universe. I think you can make it separate though. But so to a point because remember, Gun announced how many different properties for his DCU to kind of kick things off? It feels like both like everybody is making the same mistake of.
Starting point is 01:14:25 And this is everything that we want to kind of do going forward. And then you get derail. So like I get it. I understand it's a business you need to make the shareholders go, oh, they got stuff brewing. Okay, we're going to be okay. But it just, it gets frustrating. All right. So here is the next one here.
Starting point is 01:14:42 And this one comes in from our buddy, Mormoth Hans, who says, just saw Dennis O'Neill wrote for the question. Can you suggest any lesser known stuff that he's written for? You know, off the top of my head. Give me 30 seconds. Go to the next question.
Starting point is 01:14:59 I'll come back to you because I look at a little bit. little bibliography and I'll recommend some stuff. All right. And Joe Ryder, Paddington and Mickey 17 are both coming out in January. They both look good to me. Well, Mickey 17 got pushed. Mickey 17 got pushed to April, I think. April, right? Yeah. Yeah. So, but I thought January was the bad film dumping ground. Is that changing? Well, so maybe not because they moved Mickey 17 to April. So they wanted to get it out of January. Paddington has always kind of been a January thing because remember it probably opens up in December in London is what I would guess. So it is. They already had the premiere yeah so so so January is still a dumping ground however sometimes what happens is you'll get a
Starting point is 01:15:37 gym I remember the gray came out in January like things will happen and pop it in January the reason that you might get some stuff in January of next year is because there's just not enough real estate anymore because everything's coming out in 2025 yeah but you you got you got two things working in your favor I mean first there was the strike so the strike by itself screwed up everybody's scheduling releases So I think we're going to see, as we kind of saw this year, you're going to see a ripple effect of, again, as Christian said, there's not enough real estate. You don't want to go up against Superman and Fantastic Four. You don't want to go against, you know, Captain America and whatever else. So you just got to find space where you can.
Starting point is 01:16:14 Plus, we have seen, you mentioned the gray, the previous scream was well received. The third bad boys was was well received. Like there have been not a full change, but a little bit of hope that you'll get something good. even Megan, the first Megan came out in January and like, it's not a blockbuster, but it was pretty decent, you know, so you never know. I got an answer for him because Dennis O'Neill for casual comic fans or not comic fans, he wrote No Man's Land. He's got a lot of really good rationale ghoul stuff, but he asked for obscure stuff.
Starting point is 01:16:45 So it's hard to know what's obscure for folks because if you're not a comic fan, all of it's obscure. Highly recommend No Man's Land if you ever read it yet. But some of the more obscure ones, he mentioned the question. I really like Superman Cryptonite, which is a really fun like, uh, uh, a passionate story of Superman that really humanizes them in a fun way. I love all of his green lantern slash green arrow stuff, where it's the two of them as a pair.
Starting point is 01:17:05 And that's a little bit more obscure. His nightfall run with Batman, I think is exceptional. But the one I'm going to say is my favorite kind of obscure one is Superman versus Muhammad Ali, which is just insane. So I'm going to go with that. Yeah, dude. Oh, dude. He's an icon.
Starting point is 01:17:21 That's right. The guy that wrote no man's land wrote Superman for his own Elie. Mike Joyce. Hey, Winston, why did you leave Twitter for the inferior versions? It's just gotten really toxic. It is, it is, I've, I, I had plans to do that sooner than later. And like, I think my schedule for it is by the end of the year. But I just, it was not doing good things for my mental health personally.
Starting point is 01:17:46 But why not mute words? Because that's what I did. I muted, I muted so many words and so many people and I just post and run. I don't ever really, I don't, I don't interact. And I just muted words. Well, what it ended up being for me ultimately? is I will, I'm not going to delete the account, but I will probably only come in to just say,
Starting point is 01:18:04 here's this, that, and the other, but I won't really be interacting. I don't believe me. I think I applaud that decision. Derek Johnson, some support. Thank you. Derek, Derek was huge yesterday. Derek came in throwing fire.
Starting point is 01:18:16 Anthony Roybal, hey guys, can we get a super early, most anticipated movie for next year? I can't believe it's already in November. I don't know. My full list I usually put out in late January, mostly anticipated and it could change but the first one that pops to mind is Superman I mean it's the first one that pops to mind yeah for me Superman uh I mean I'm gonna probably late December put out a 10 or 15 most anticipated because next year it's stacked there's so much TV so many movies but Superman I think is
Starting point is 01:18:43 not only the most a movie has ever had to live up to something but also the most I've looked forward to a movie since maybe Avengers uh I've been waiting for a Superman that felt like who I see Superman as most of my life. And it's a universe kickoff in theatrical, which is where I like to consume my art. Like I like TV, but I love theaters more. So everything about Superman is calling me the casting, the team behind it, below and above the line, like Superman. I'm going to, I'm going to, you know, go wildcard here.
Starting point is 01:19:14 I'm actually going to see Thunderbolts. I am excited about Superman. And that's saying something for someone that's not a huge Superman fan. Yeah, yeah. A kind of a meme for it. interviewing Henry Cavill, but I, Thunderbolts for whatever reason, I think when you throw in the fact that I really love everything
Starting point is 01:19:33 that Florence Pugh and David Harbor did with their characters, Julie Lue-Dreyfus to be able to, like, expand that out and see where that's going, there's just a lot there for me to feel already kind of emotionally invested. And I'm hoping I get what I initially wanted out of that first suicide squad that just didn't happen. And that fully connects with what's going on in, the main universe and all that so that is where i am probably most excited right now yeah and i don't but i'll tell you it mean like i said that's why i'm going to do my list um because the way that i look at it is from most anticipated it's like okay can only watch one what do you watch and i do and people are
Starting point is 01:20:10 not going to agree with me on this but i don't cur um i would i would tell you that i would choose avatar three over superman i understand why you're saying that i i know you wouldn't but i but i but i I know you wouldn't, but like, I, I love those movies. Like, I, I, I love those movies. And I, and I, and there's no, I mean, experience-wise, theater, there's nothing theater-wise for me that, that is a better theater experience than the Avatar movies. Now, I don't even know if I've seen the second one on, since it's been on digital, but I just know that it, I saw it twice in the theater. And it just is such a, it's my favorite, it's like going to amusement park. I love doing it.
Starting point is 01:20:51 It just feels, it's one of my favorite experiences. And I'll take my daughter to see it. So that might be it. I don't know. But I still want to see Superman flying around in IMAX. Absolutely. Yeah. I did see Gladiator 2 in IMAX, and I would recommend that.
Starting point is 01:21:05 Oh, okay. You know, as far as not superhero stuff, just because I want to get some love to other genres in general. I think my most anticipated the accountant, too. Is that next year? Dude, yeah, it is. I literally just pulled up. I have my top 50 pulled up. And my top 50 of next year.
Starting point is 01:21:20 The accountant, too, is out April 25th. And I am losing my mind excited because I love that first. 50 that's got to include television. Oh, yeah, yeah, sorry, with TV. Because I've got like all of it. Yeah, top 50 with TV. Oh, sinners. Oh, that was great.
Starting point is 01:21:33 Yeah, the list is going to be great. Cupcake Bliss. I think it's a big mistake to do a Joker series. I would love to see the Court of Al start as a series then move into a movie. Sorry, I'm just overseeing the Joker. I think that's a lot of people feel that way. I think a lot of people feel that way, but I think that it's got enough of an IP and enough of a name that it's a smart decision, but I do not think that Cupcake is alone there.
Starting point is 01:21:58 I think there's tons of people that feel away. Winston said it, Winston said it before too. Yeah, that's why I was saying, if you want to do that, lean into like an Arkham series. Yeah. I think especially after what we already got teased with, with Sophia Falcone, I would love to explore that twisted-ass situation a little bit more. and I think that that could be super, super interesting. But, you know, it is what it is.
Starting point is 01:22:28 Luke Skywanker. What's Koi and Winston's take on the Star Wars News? Coming from Luke Skywanker, I have to answer. I think I said it earlier, but to make sure I give your Super Chat some attention, I think I want one movie and then I want to see if I want another one. I think that doing episodes 10, 11, and 12 is maybe the laziest choice. heard since Downy is due. But they said they said that that's probably not the case. A lot of people have oh okay a lot of people have negated that and said that it's not 10 11 and 12 because that's so
Starting point is 01:22:59 sad if we just like it's a whole universe far far away and we keep going to this one family. I agree um I don't know if it's not 10 11 and 12 more interested I think Simon Kenberg's a great producer uh I think his writing depends on the movie and depends on the characters he's writing so I don't always agree with his writing choices but I I want Star Wars to be good I want to be excited for another fandom I want to be able to revel with people I I don't like when I a fandom is doing bad even if it's not my fandom because it just makes people inherently angrier. And I love when a fandom is doing well because then I can go, oh, let me identify with more people in the community. So when something is feeling like an animal dying on the ground twitching,
Starting point is 01:23:33 I don't enjoy that. I laugh at it because it's exactly how I feel. Winston, Winston, what do you think as far as the news? Yeah, again, full thoughts. Please go check out the blurred breakdown. But essentially, what my main concern is is that Simon a lot of times feels very 50-50. So, like, he's in there making days of future past and helping with first class, but then also Dark Phoenix and the last stand. Like, he's making Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but also the 355. So, like, the 335, whatever it was, my point is, is it really is a 50-50 thing.
Starting point is 01:24:09 I am not trying to step into more Star Wars stuff where something could literally be a coin flip. when you know that it's already had too many losses you need somebody or something that you feel really not get out of the park and i know he just came off at deadpool wolverine and being a part of that whole thing but i just would want to make sure that whoever if you're going to give them three movies or even a trilogy um that you just feel super gung-ho and good about what they're going to do yeah i agree i mean i i i gave them all my thoughts on a guest ray and just to reiterate it's it to me seems very desperate it's like going through the roll of the decks of five people that you know and saying oh that person sure and they don't really know what the story is we don't know
Starting point is 01:24:49 where the ray movie is the only thing that i said could potentially work because they've worked together in the past if kenberg and mangled actually team up to do an old republic or an old you know version trilogy and create new characters there's something intriguing about that if they can make it work but they have no idea what they're doing over there it's like it's they're just like juggling sticks they have no idea uh it's a disaster um okay so Cupcake follows it up. It says if we ever see Hugo Strange. Oh, if we ever get to see Hugo Strange as a series or even on the big screen, I would like Michael Fastbender to play him. Thoughts? I don't know the character well enough. You guys? Oh, that's not a bad choice to be honest with you. I genuinely don't hate that. I would almost like to see McAvoy do it, to be honest with you. If we're just pulling from people from, I mean, I know that's not what you were doing. I almost think of him from split, not that Hugo has the split personality thing going on, he doesn't, but just the maniacal nature of him, having seen that.
Starting point is 01:25:56 What was the movie he was just in where he was like super jacked and like, like, Torchette family? Speaking no evil. Speak no evil. Yeah. I have seen him go to the psychological depths before, and I think he would crush Hugo Strange. I'm going with a James Guns staple and someone I think might be losing. weight to play it. That's Dave Batista. After Blade Runner, 2049, after, you know, the turns he's made as an actor in that M-night movie, he knock at the cabin. Like, he's so good and captivating and he's
Starting point is 01:26:25 able to convey this darkness without it being like mustache twirling. I think Hugo Strange would be really interesting with, uh, with Batista. And we've talked a lot about like favorite wrestler actors. And I think Batista has really proven himself. I'd love to see him get like a meaty role to sink his teeth into. I know nothing about it. Okay. So next, next question is from Joey Pedrus. What's the over under that we see Vic in Batman 2? I haven't seen the finale. Have you seen the finale yet, Coy? Of pain?
Starting point is 01:26:53 Okay. I haven't seen the finale. I'm going to watch it after we start shooting, actually. After we stop shooting, I'm going to watch it. But I will say that we don't even know there's going to be a Penguin 2 season, right? I don't think that Vic will be in the Batman, too. I just don't think it will happen. Yeah, I don't know about all that.
Starting point is 01:27:17 I don't think we're going to get too much outside of Oz in the Batman 2. Agreed. I feel like the Batman 2 is doing a lot. Yeah, maybe an appearance by Kristen Miliani. Maybe, but even that, and I don't even know if she makes it out of season one. I don't know yet. Screwface, John. Hey, K Dogg, what's up, Screwface?
Starting point is 01:27:36 Did you know that your interview with Mark Paul Gossler got picked up by World Star Hip Hop? That's huge. Your official, that's amazing. I didn't know. I didn't think you care. It did, though. You didn't think I would care? That's huge.
Starting point is 01:27:48 Yeah, it's hilarious. I didn't think you cared about being on World Star? I don't know. Dude, that that clip is at now 1.1 million views. It's hilarious. About the fight? Yeah. The 1.1 million was.
Starting point is 01:27:59 World Star. That's hilarious. Amazing. World Star, well. But yes, I saw that that's, that's awesome. I didn't know until you told me, Screw face. So that's awesome. I have to check that out and see.
Starting point is 01:28:11 I'm glad. I can't believe. It just shows you like you never know what's going to catch fire and what's not because like this there's certain ones because the five nights of Freddy's fandom is so rabid. They're so rabid. And I posted like three or four clips of Matthew Liller talking about five next phrase. I'm like, these are blow up. One of them did like 10,000 views and the other ones are just like and they could still. It's a beauty of the clips channel could just take off. But I was like I think people will care about this fight clip. Maybe like 20,000. One point one million. It's insane. Screwface follows it up and says a serious question. Why can't Gambit movie be goofy or the same tone as Deadpool versus Wolverine though? That seemed to be kind of successful. Well, I think that's the reason of why they probably are thinking that, to say like, well, we had a lot of success with that character, that tone worked. Let's make the movie.
Starting point is 01:29:00 The question is, does it work for the overall MCU? Not whether or not it works as a single movie, because that's the problem that Marvel puts themselves in right now, because they have this shared universe. that they start doing things that are, what's the priority, I guess? Is it telling the MCU story or is it just trying to make these movies that are going to make money? I don't know what the answer is. But if it's Gambit, it's doing a goofy, silly movie because they think the formula works, then I guess we know our answer. The tone, I think, for a Gambit movie, the way you split the difference,
Starting point is 01:29:30 you need to be looking at like the first guardians. Right. So there should be like some ash-holist, like laughs. They're like, God, you're such a tool. but when it's neat when it's time to get serious we get serious you know and and i think that's the route you really want to go with remi and all that otherwise if you go too heavy-handed that's where you land in a love and thunder situation you know um coy yeah i think if you're telling the mccu story is very different than telling a gambit story i think shanning tatum obviously can play the levels
Starting point is 01:29:59 if you've seen blink twice even in the same year as deadpool wolverine those came out within months of each other and he's very different tonally so i would say it could work but the way that gambit has been established would need to be comedic, which isn't necessarily the stolo Gambit story. The character himself is so bittersweet and love lost and like he's cursed with like the history of what he's been through. So it'd be hard for audiences, I think, to see that man play that character seriously. Shakespeare's fist, as I think, and I could be wrong, but I check World Star Hip Hop. I don't think they linked me. I think they just ripped the video.
Starting point is 01:30:30 So I think. I don't know if that's the case. I don't know if that's the case. That's the way it looks. Now you have to fight World Start hip hop. World Star. Well, again, I'll share the 1.1. But let's go to the next one. And I could be wrong about that. Maybe they embed it, but it looked like it. Okay. So Jack to Jack, would you guys recommend Tom King's The Vision? 100%. Especially if you liked Wanda Vision. A lot of the tone is from that vision book. It's this really cool suburban 50s dystopia feel with some great psychological
Starting point is 01:31:06 horror. It's one of my favorites. Like that's the book that introduce me to Tom King and you guys hear about me talking like talk about Tom King. That's how I know the name. I know the name from you. Yeah, he's one of my favorite writers and that was my first introduction where I fell in love with his style. So I highly recommend. And he co-wrote the new Superman movie, right? Yeah, he's in the brain trust of the writers at DCU and he's the writer of the Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow book, which is he's adapted. Okay. So that's what I'm saying. This is why just going back to what we were talking about yesterday with all the Star Wars news is that this is why DC is in a position to really take off.
Starting point is 01:31:38 because they're not only just saying, oh, let's get, let's pretend that this is 2004 and work inside of a studio system. And who's the hot screenwriter right now? Can they do a pass? And then once their pass is done, we'll hire. They'll be too expensive to get on a second rewrite. So let's get someone else then. And who's the hot writer that did that? Who's the hottest director that made that much money?
Starting point is 01:31:59 That's the way Lucasfilm works, right? And that's the ultimate. That's the way it worked when I was working at Winter Brothers. What I've always said is take the damn writers that you have from your books and your comic books and stick them in a room together and say, oh, what are the ones that are really working? Put those together. They understand Star Wars. Let's do that. But this is what James Gunn is doing over at DC.
Starting point is 01:32:20 Let's get Tom King, who you see, Croy loses mind every time you bring up his name because he's a fan that he knows the world and he understands it. So this is what I wish, this is what whoever winds up, even if it's 30 years from now, taking over Lucasfilm, hope that they do this type of strategy because whatever the hell they're doing over there it's like just like stick it's like stepping on liquid stink bombs and just leaving it in the office wait coy he did he did the the rorschach black label yeah dude he's he's responsible for so much mr merrickle roarshack black label super girl one with tomorrow vision right he's got one of my favorite batman runs of all time that ran almost a hundred issues he is very good at this that sounds great anthony roball you will be missed big balls hey eventually we hope he returns and what
Starting point is 01:33:03 what of a what a what a what a you know return it might be also uh christian he is a and someone just mentioned in the chat he's a former cia agent so he worked for the state and then he wrote batman like a c a big balls did experience big balls oh yeah big balls for sure call me jabba hey guys i never watched live on fridays because of my job christian if you ever watch one animated dc film it should be under the red hood it's amazing with bruce greenwood jason ankles uh Neil Patrick Harrison, you guys have talked about that before. I have seen, but I have seen an animated one. When we did our rewatch of those movies, we did, we did, I had never seen Mask of
Starting point is 01:33:42 Fantasim and I, and I did. But I will. I mean, that one, that one, that one, Kalanowski talks about that one. Very good. Yeah. Nick Alexander, sorry about the bucket, Corey. I had my 160 gigabyte iPod stolen out of my car in my driveway in Manchester. We have, we have cameras now.
Starting point is 01:34:02 Yeah. That's what it is. It's, oh, God, it's so, it's so awful. People are terrible. People are terrible. Julius Wyatt, are you all excited for Nospiratu? Great way to spend Christmas. I'm actually going to see that next week.
Starting point is 01:34:14 Yeah, I'm hoping to catch the screening early because I want to do my best of the year list. And that makes, like, that one could land on it. And I don't want to see it the 25th with only six days left of the year. So I'm hoping to catch the screening. Reviews are out and people are losing their minds over it. I can't wait to see that movie. I'm so pumped.
Starting point is 01:34:28 Yeah, very excited. Matthew Garrett. Spacey underrated as Lex should have been a better movie. That movie wasn't great, but Spacey killed it as Lex. Wish we got more, with the allegations aside.
Starting point is 01:34:41 Yeah, separate the allegations of performance itself. Yeah, he was, I mean, he's a great actor. There's no doubt about it. He was, the performance was good. It was, that movie was, that movie was kind of lost of what it wanted to be. It was hard to be Superman 3 slash 5, but also new, but also, yeah, it's a lot.
Starting point is 01:34:59 And look, and, well, was Spacey's fault about and I like Kate Bosworth as an actress but she was not a good like Lois Lane at all doesn't didn't fit the role at all I didn't really have much personality in that role and he was the one who suggested because they worked on a movie together and got her in there so yeah I think that was a mistake go Paul did any of you see skins the UK series Holt was excellent in it and the main reason that the show worked jensry jensry and gilly from Game of Thrones Daniel Kalula and kaya Skodero also in it i never i never saw that show was it any good it was a great show okay ridiculous it it reminds
Starting point is 01:35:37 it's not exactly the same but it reminds me of a similar vibe of like shameless it's just it's just balls to the wall just yeah no he is actually very very good in it matth you i've only seen clips but i hear it's great matthew gary any chance you can bump up the volume of it when i get a new roadcaster i promise you i will so people don't understand it like the volume on it's like do you notice that when that happened started to happen was monday people are like oh the volume's out I mean, again, it's just asking nicely. But like, it, it, this, I can't figure it out. And it's driving me crazy.
Starting point is 01:36:08 So you're going to have to deal with it for now until, uh, until I get that freaking roadcast or whatever the hell that's going to be. Um, okay. So the next one is go pie. Coy, what's your opinion on the Tim King, Daniel Semprey Wonder Woman? I saw a page. Oh, it's, Tom King, actually. Uh, I think he meant to write Tom, but it's funny because, uh, we were just saying how much
Starting point is 01:36:27 I dig is ready. Uh, it is very good. Uh, the Wonder Woman run, he did. It is very, it's set in like Washington, D.C. in a lot of ways. It is very intensely about like what thin mascara represents to America. It also deals with, it's a different take on like the strength of being a woman even than like the commentary on female empowerment in action movies. It's a very like psychological dealing with the world we're in. So I really dig it.
Starting point is 01:36:54 It's like a lot of people don't like what it has to say, but I think it says it very well. okay um and then we get this one that says matthew garrett says not getting billy zane as lex ever sucks was he was he rumored at one point yeah it's just because he's bald because i like this thought he was did i could be misremembering this but i thought he was kind of tied when they were talking about a cage like that was going to be his the cage's foil as superman but i could be wrong no you might be right i don't know i'm not i'm not sure um you know what get i'll I'll ask Matthew Garrett here. I'm going to do something here and see if this works, it blows it out.
Starting point is 01:37:35 It's probably going to blow it out, but I'm going to try to do something here and see if that helped the volume. Matthew Garrett can tell us if that helped or it didn't help. Austin B. CCXP announced that WB will have a big presence there next month. Chances that this is where we see a Superman teaser before years end. Much love for Michigan. What do you guys think?
Starting point is 01:37:57 You think that it's going to, the CCXP? you know that's where it'll debut boy I think the movie comes out in the summer and we've historically had late like the year before teasers I don't think
Starting point is 01:38:09 to be a full trailer if we get one I mean I keep hearing rumors they're going to do like a Barbie S campaign where it's like a huge and I think Superman's worthy of it so I would love personally if it started like I'd love to go
Starting point is 01:38:20 into Christmas with an idea of what that movie's going to be I'm not sure how likely it is but it is conceptually exciting and the math maths so I'd love that okay I mean I'm I'm I'm wondering where they're going to.
Starting point is 01:38:32 They're not going to debut at Comic Con, obviously, because the movie will be coming out around the same. Maybe they do. I mean, not the teaser, not the trailer. The trailer would be out sooner than after because the movie comes out at that point. Marcus M. Lex Luthor and Tony Stark are yin and yang. Similar abilities and character traits, but what motivates them makes them different. Would you go to there?
Starting point is 01:38:53 Yeah. I would, I think that's good. I mean, to the point of, it's actually what I really enjoyed it for any that you know watches this on YouTube the there was a death battle between Tony Stark and Lex Luthor which was infinitely fascinating the similar amount of money similar amount of genius ego flying all over the place but literally if what if one went down the dark path versus the light and vice versa yeah one one realized they are in their ways and one dives deeper into that error so I I love that
Starting point is 01:39:22 parallel yeah the great wicked art finally finished 26 pages of issues seven of capes um i can't wait i went now i'm going to be look forward to that recording session when we're all sitting down doing the voices for him because that that one we got to get we got and we got to get big balls back and running by that he's got a big part i have to do because brett has the capability with it he's been doing uh little balls and um and and and so we can actually have him maybe read read the lines if that's the case um moist gumption hello crew if you can you can't could have any Batman villain added into the Reeves universe and given an HBO series who would you pick i think poison ivy like roxy said the other day i think poison ivy would be a good choice
Starting point is 01:40:09 uh i've kind of already said this uh ivy freeze or hugo strange any of those three freeze is up there for me i love barry's joker so i want to see more of that but uh if i'm picking someone new actually someone not new i want to see a catwoman show uh i think you know talking about my love for Zoe. I'd love to see more of like her in Bloodhaven or in Alleytown, something with Catwoman. Hiddy, Hickip, thank you, Hitty. I'm starting to slowly build out my complete collection of the original run of Hellblazer. Just bought volume 13 and 14. I already have volumes one through 12. Have you guys read them or parts of them? I hope we get a DCU HBO show of that. Coy? Can you repeat that one more time? I'm starting to slowly build out my complete collection
Starting point is 01:40:53 of the original run of Hellblazer. I missed the title. I heard all the volumes, but I missed the keyword. I adore John Constantine. I think Hellblazer is one of the best books out there. The current run, Hellblazer Dead in America, is some of my favorite Hunter S. Thompson-tinged commentary that I've seen from comics in a long time.
Starting point is 01:41:11 And I think that is the perfect thing on HBO. I would love a Hellblazer series. I think it's very perfect for the DCU. I think the supernatural stuff's going to be great. Yes, please. Yeah. I would be super here for that. Buster Barnes.
Starting point is 01:41:25 I think the Thunderbolt trailer is a classic MCU trap where they make you think it's a different, darker, cooler tone only for it to be the same old, same old. Maybe. Sort of, but I saw that more of a problem with the DCEU, because that was kind of what we were fed with the trailer of, again, the first suicide squad,
Starting point is 01:41:45 and then it became a completely different color mismash, whatever. I haven't necessarily, barely seen that trap per se with the emce you i have been more hyped for something than ended up being bad but i don't remember seeing a trailer where there was like a massive tonal shift maybe i'm forgetting one but no i agree with what you're saying um like some of the darker movies ended up like winter soldier had a dark tone and was uh i haven't seen brave new world yet but if that is misleading maybe that's one but that isn't out yet so uh i think their trailers are accurate to tone if not accurate to quality at times fair um parsnip burger will gladiator two get a best picture nom and ginger guy is so good looking there you go ginger guy keep bringing him back so good looking keep bringing him back to that show he does yeah no i do not think gladiator two will get a best picture nom it's it is not there's more the first one is the um has a more in-depth kind of solid emotional beats and story this one is a bigger kind of grander
Starting point is 01:42:49 sequel that is a worthy successor and performances are really great and it's a very entertaining film but i don't think it's got that same oscar type of feel that the first one had that's my opinion i might be wrong um all right here we go this is the next question thank you everybody you guys are at 45 i think a very solid very solid friday here guys roman fedorak hey again think my question on t1 got skipped all i say is it's it's terminator one gets better the more i think about it the better it gets. And Winston, what's the worst of the Bayformers for you guys? Worse of the what? The Michael Bay Transformers movies. Oh, the second one? I think the answer is all of them. I didn't, the first one has issues, but I didn't mind it. But, but yeah, the second one we went from,
Starting point is 01:43:43 this is fine to, oh, no. Yeah. I haven't seen five or six, but of the first four, I think two is the worse for me. Yeah, and Roman, I looked, I'm looking at the, I went back into look in the archives, and I don't, I don't see that question, my friend, I'm sorry, but, but for me, I mentioned that kind of yesterday, but I don't know. Let's see, next one, where is it, where is it, where is it, and this is Matthew Garrett. It worked, Yeat. That worked with the sound when I, when I did that, I hope that worked. People will let me know if it worked. Let me know, for people who are watching on a replay if that work. And then Tim Hoffman, I'm here for the fake fan showdown.
Starting point is 01:44:26 That's wild. Sorry, Christian. Glad the gang is back together. You all the best and loving all the live shows. Good luck topping the 203 questions yesterday. P.S., there's no world where Winston really likes the Dodgers. Oh, there you go. Perfect.
Starting point is 01:44:44 I don't have time to go out of my house about the Dodgers, but sure. Okay. He didn't write that last part. All right, screw face, John. Dang, IG World Star didn't link you. You want me to slide on something? Definitely, please. Bro, especially if to screw gene put up that incredible freestyle over,
Starting point is 01:45:05 over Tyler the creator's beat, bro. That was fire. Go call the ass out, man. Tell us, you got to link me on that. I mean, the fact that I thought, look, there's a, I feel two sides. One, I was like, oh, maybe that's where a lot of the traffic came from. But it's like, no, I'm getting.
Starting point is 01:45:20 getting the all the traffic still coming and i probably would have had way more if they would actually said they didn't even see anything they just posted it's horrible i already see whoever's in charge of world stuff this white boy ain't going to right they don't know i'm they don't know i'm boys with screw face world star that's right anthony robal just wanted to say i start every friday off watching you three you guys are the best even though winston is the most disloyal sports fan ever but you guys have a great weekend that was leave a single thing you say about it now because now i feel like you just continue to try to air out your grief no that that actually was written that was written i i i said i said when i made it out that was a full on this is why anthony robollah is
Starting point is 01:46:02 one of the best fans in the world uh matthew garrett coran sweat playing ultraman too what's that uh ultra man is uh like an evil clone of uh superman oh so like not really an evil clone he's like a a different earth Superman like he's not from so he might so he might be i definitely took that a completely different way i was like as in the japanese hero ultra man that just had an incredible animated film but yeah that's what i took it too um yeah okay maybe lords and hammers hey guys i just read garth innes's six part run sarah on tkos studios and i was blown away do you have any indi garth inis recommendations and what would you love to see on the big screen coy's clearly Got something going.
Starting point is 01:46:46 I literally am reading this today. Oh, wow. So there you go. Like this was right behind me. That is so funny. Any other ones, any other ones, in general? Like, he's known for his runs on Punisher
Starting point is 01:47:01 that are pretty solid. He's got one out right now, a Punisher run that's pretty good. Let me pull up again and give me one moment. I'll give you some answers. Okay, so Winston, I think you've read this already. I mean, I have it, but I haven't read it. John Castle Spillotopoulos.
Starting point is 01:47:16 What are you guys thinking of DC's absolute line and also DC's All In Comics? I truly believe DC is killing it this year. I finally got to do some of these, these, you know, issue ones. I'm excited. Like, this actually seems pretty, pretty dope. I'm actually mad at Coy, though, because I called him,
Starting point is 01:47:36 not a, it wasn't absolute, but I did call Coy about something that I had read, specifically tied to Thomas Wayne. And I'm mad he didn't ever. call me back so i glad to know that we be talking outside of here coy did you actually call like like there's a voicemail where i say hey coy i don't i've been to talk to you a while man i hope you all right i just heard this crazy thing i'm so curious what you think not a damn text message not a nothing if you texted me i might have still i'm gonna look at how many how many
Starting point is 01:48:06 voicemails i got right now real time currently have 12 text smiths but i have 619 voice i love how he just his camera set so he's text his camera his camera said i don't want to be part of this argument and his love your camera's complete you can camera's completely gone quick um oh no i got to find my way back perfect all right let's see so we'll do the next one here is dennis hoffman watching on delay but throwing some dollars based on winston sincere reaction to finding that king uh wrote the rorschach love when people love comics love his human target book he writes a great guy gardener
Starting point is 01:48:42 Oh yeah. Well, look at that. Cool. You got your camera back on me and helping out. Yeah, go ahead. So the Garth Dennis answer, his Hellblazer, we just talked about a minute ago. So I don't know if that counts as like, you know, a more unknown book. His preacher is iconic. I really, really dig some of the stuff he's doing with Punisher. Again, he's like most known for Punisher, but he's back on Punisher. But I'd say if you want some more obscure stuff, his Hellblazer is really weird and it feels out there. And he's the guy with the boys. Like he's the boys. So any of that stuff, I'd recommend. Okay. So then we get Buster Barnes. In 2026, we have Avengers, Spider-Man, Batman, Supergirl, Star Wars, Shrek, Toy Story, Lord of the Rings will be a very telling year if theaters can recover. I mean, you got a lot of big things happening there for sure. I mean, that's, I thought 2025 was going to be huge. Yeah, that's, I think that'll also give us a good indicator of how people feel. about IPs. You just named a whole bunch of stuff that has already really kind of had its heyday in the sun.
Starting point is 01:49:49 Yeah. And obviously we're not going to talk about the things we have barely heard of before. But I think that that will be a very strong indicator. Are we okay with continuing down this path? Can it live side by side with stuff that's going in new or are we fully over it and they really need to go back to the drawing board? Yeah. I think 2025 is is stacked with IP as well. And I agree with Winston. Like the next two years are really going to spell out what that is. But then also in 2026, we have like a new Fincher, a new, you know, Dennyvel and you, like we have a lot of great a chore directors to balance those scales. So I think, I mean, I think we have a new Spielberg as well. I think it's going to be literally like IP, big
Starting point is 01:50:26 director. I pee, big director. And I think that'll be great for cinema because I think the big $500 million movies keep the theaters open so that these small, you know, at chore films can't exist. So I'm excited for 2026. Me too. You know, I forgot to mention, you know, I always hesitant. I'm always hesitant to say it until the interview is done, but I'm supposed to next week, or next week or the following week, uh, Jaliel White. Nice. Wow. So we're going to sit down. We're going to talk. He's in skeleton crew, but he's also got a new book out. Um, so that, that one will be, that one will be exciting because I'm, I'm, I'm looking forward to talking. What a career that guy's had. So definitely that's, that's coming up. Um, probably within the next couple of weeks. Andrew
Starting point is 01:51:10 Carnes. I'm halfway through Tom King's Mr. Miracle. Thanks, Quay. There you go. Very Tom King-centric second half of this episode. I see him. So it's amazing. Yeah, nerds engage. When Big Balls comes back, can he bring along Shulis Lewis, the third? Maybe Shulis doesn't come out very often, especially when Shulis is getting hired to do movie, new Star Wars movie. So Shulis Lewis might be very, might be very, uh, and it's not, you guys would, how would you spell Shulis Lewis? uh s each s h s h w l e s s l e w i s l e w i s how would you spell shoeless louis s h e w he's right on that um
Starting point is 01:51:54 l i s and then what's so full yeah l o i s what's so funny is that in my head when i said it yesterday it was thought of as s h o e l-es s shoeless shulus Lewis, but someone wrote S-H-U-L-A-S. Let's go with that. I said, I like that. Shulis-L-L-A-S-L-S-L-S. Matthew Garrett, D-C-U actors for Robbins, Dick, Tim, Jason, Damien?
Starting point is 01:52:27 I don't know. Dylan O'Brien for Dick Grayson. Okay. You gave it a thumbs down. You gave yourself a thumbs down. Sorry, me. I won't fancast Damien because I've said people in the past and people came at me for Romani heritage
Starting point is 01:52:46 and I don't know any Romani actors, which is apparently the most important thing. And for Tim, I'm going to go, man, I don't know like under 20-year-old actors right now. So yeah, I, Dylan O'Brien's by Dick Grayson. You got any, Winston? I can only give you a Dick Grayson, and he's probably not going to do it because he's doing other things. and still technically Spider-Man,
Starting point is 01:53:10 but Andrew Garfield is dick, to be honest with you. Like, he kind of gives me that same vibe of where he could lead these other four younger versions of himself and try and do that. I think that he would be killer at that. I thought you're going to say Paul Gi-Imani. All right. So the next one is Jedi Master for Life.
Starting point is 01:53:27 For Damien. For Damien. Tuning in late with the Joker News, do we see Long Halloween Night adaptation for the closing of this trilogy? Oh. that's not a bad idea honestly i think that could be that could actually be really well done um just depends i i i don't fully know yet what direction reeves wants to go with all this especially
Starting point is 01:53:52 with bringing the quarter out i don't know i don't know hmm let me think on that uh i'm sorry you know i was just i'm just as real quick as i got an update it's just i feel so bad for me i watch you know these instagram reels that pop up and there's this one girl she's hilarious and she she pranks like scammers with a pretend like she can do like a Siri voice right so she's like I'm sorry you've reached this and they're like no ma'am you have to I'm sorry and she's told and she does these different voices but and she did this video asking like how people get fooled all the time and it's like it's all you got to do when these things can be something I saw a notification I thought was important it says like something so Sharif Kroff with the
Starting point is 01:54:35 student loan department told me that I I don't have student loans anymore, but told me that I needed to, there's something concerning my student loan. So I looked at Sheriff Croft, hot mail account. It's like, that's all you got to do. Hold on. I got one right as we started the show. If it's hotmail or Gmail, it's not real, guys. So here we go.
Starting point is 01:54:56 U.S. Post. You have a U.S. P.S. parcel being cleared due to the detection of an invalid zip code address. Please go to the website. USPS ad y dot T.O should we should we blind Winston did you get that at 1026 a.m. while we were on the stream 1051 I got it at 1026 while we should we should we
Starting point is 01:55:18 6 3 a plus 6 3 number it's out of the country that's that important should I block should I block my phone number and then call them back on the air right now I got to leave 15 Oh, you do. All right. All right. Sorry fun fans. It's noon. Roman Fedorak. Transformers won. It was T1. My bad. Oh, yeah. I just, so Transformers one is fantastic. Everybody here has seen it already? Incredible. You said you wanted to do it. I know, but I was able. So I, I, I did. And then, so just let everybody know, my Transformers one reaction with Tina's on the channel right now. So you know what I realize. No, what I realized is after I wrote Winston that, that, that,
Starting point is 01:56:01 I, with the sound system and everything too, I don't know how to coordinate that digital, digital. I don't know how to do it digitally with having it sync up with yours and not hearing it. So it's like digital reactions are going to be too hard for me to do. So, yeah. And now Andrew Carnes, Coy, Winston, how would you rank absolute Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman? Oh, that's fun. Winston, you've read all three, right? I have read Batman and Superman.
Starting point is 01:56:28 I haven't read Rotter Woman yet. I go Batman than Superman. Yeah, I'm going to go. Ooh, actually, I'm going to go Batman Wonder Woman Superman. I like Superman a lot. I just feel like it's a, it's a smaller story. Like they only got to so much so I can't judge it,
Starting point is 01:56:46 whereas Batman feels like a full adventure and you've got to get a taste. And then Wonder Woman is such a different world, and it's so immersive. So they're all great, but yeah, I agree. All right. next one here is b gill studios just sending support to my guys winston and coy i mean get you guys close to almost 60 that's pretty good a damn good friday roman fedorek favorite
Starting point is 01:57:09 a 24 films mine green night thanks i have to take a list i have to list i mean because the first i mean civil i really like civil war but there's so many great a 24 oh uh is it is is is is ex machina 824 yes it is x machina moonlight ladybird midsummer um everything everywhere all at once yeah yeah yeah yeah some past lives the iron claw yeah there's some there's some great ones but i would i would say the witch i would say that uh yeah x machina is my favorite uh my top three are ex machina everything everywhere and civil war and you love midsummer too right i haven't seen yet oh i thought that was the one you saw oh no i saw hereditary dude jesus that was i was i have not been that scared for two and a half hours maybe ever i'm never seeing that movie i'm not going to i refuse
Starting point is 01:57:58 i was scared while reacting and there were lights on yeah oh thanks sorry that's not that's a hard pass for me then the fact that like i was having issue sometimes with a smile too we ain't doing all that um not not not fully but some you yeah if you were if you were freaked out with smile too which is like a disney movie compared to those only with the unnecessary jump scares that like i was pretty sure i still coming and I want to there's what once that movie gets enough people have seen it I'm just and I've mentioned this I'm and Winston has seen it so you'll know I'm talking about there's a particular scene with dancers that is so stupid it took me out of it I will I've agree with you that's the one time where I was like okay I and theory I'm scared but I'm good it was like red light green light one two three it was so sorry sorry just to pick mine I would go everything
Starting point is 01:58:50 everywhere. It's good. Ex Machina, Macbeth, and then moonlight. Good ones. Screwface, John. I was about to be done donating, but this is for Winston, rocking with my freestyle. Hold this 999 and I know certain things in the news might got you down, but a wise man once said we're going to be aiding. You already know. Thank you, screwface. Buster Barnes, Asher, Angel, DC, you, Nightwing, Andrea Arjona, put her in anything for Wonder Woman. Oh, man, I'll earn you. Put her in anything. She made her at Wonder Woman.
Starting point is 01:59:25 Put her in anything. Swan King just saw a Dune Prophecy clip between the Penguin, Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, a Harry Potter series. Man, Max is climbing up there. They've always been. It's HBO, man. They just, but they're doing, you know what it is? Max is now doing with the superhero genre and the IP fantasy genre,
Starting point is 01:59:46 what Marvel did in movies for a bit. Now, Max, well, our strength is television. Let's start doing that and they did. And it's not just with the DC stuff, but it's with other big IPs that they have. This is a plan that they've put together. And I hope, I hope Dune's great. I don't know. We haven't seen any yet.
Starting point is 02:00:01 Have you haven't seen any episode yet. Have you, uh, Quay? I start tomorrow. Oh, yeah. So I'm very, very excited. Okay. John Castle Spillotopoulos. Adding another chat because I also wanted Koi's thoughts on the DC absolute and all in runs.
Starting point is 02:00:19 Uh, so all in is. really cool because it's a jumping on point in regular continuity. So basically if you see the All In and it's like issue one of that all in, you can ignore the big numbers. So say it's like Batman 741. It's actually like issue one because it's a new team or it's a new arc. So all in is a great jumping on point if you're new to comic books. And the stories are really, really solid so far. Very approachable. Really digging the nightwing especially and the Batman with Chip Siddarsky is very solid. And then absolutely we talked about a little bit. But to further, It's kind of like the ultimate stuff over at Marvel, but for the DC universe.
Starting point is 02:00:52 So it's brand new continuity, all new jumping on points. And it's a little bit more like 90s edgy, like Batman's like just giant and yoked and Wonder Woman's like Merciless, the sword, Superman's harder. So if you like comics to be a little bit more hardcore, this is the way I like it done because it's a different imprint. It's a different universe. It's not saying like Batman snaps Zod's neck and saying this Batman might. So it's I like him so far.
Starting point is 02:01:18 Uh, Spidey Sense, Sense, Seventy two. Coy, will there be a real reject stream tomorrow? Uh, not that I know of. So I won't be on it, but there might be. I'm just not there tomorrow. Jedi Master for Life. The new ending should be a Robert Pattinson looking for the scam caller that is terrorizing all of Gotham. 100%.
Starting point is 02:01:34 Who is this? Why are you doing that? That's more bill. Christian, have you seen Empire Strips back? That's what I'm doing tomorrow. Have you seen that show? No, but Brett didn't, said it was fantastic. Dude, it's one of the best.
Starting point is 02:01:48 for last shows I've ever seen and it's authentically Star Wars. Empire strips back. I want to go so bad. I'm doing that tomorrow. That's my third time seeing it. It's amazing. So Zeno Hour just said this that from Justin Kroll, Christopher Nolan isn't done adding star power to his next movie.
Starting point is 02:02:04 Anne Hathaway and Zendaya are joining Tom Holland and Matt Damon in the new movie. That's big. That's a huge cast. I mean, it's Christopher Nolan. Everybody's fighting to work with him. Right. Christopher Nolan. And the beauty with Christopher Nolan making movies is that what you could do, you can battle the agents.
Starting point is 02:02:24 Because if you call the agent and go, look, he wants some day it. Well, she won't do it for for less than 10 million. Well, then she ain't doing it because he's got so and so that's right around to quote. It's Christopher Nolan. And also he's the superhero in that billy. So like you don't need an IP because he's Spider-Man. He's the star. So it's like, so that is the view.
Starting point is 02:02:43 That's why you can, that's why movies like, uh, which only I think costs like what was it $110 million whatever it is like really yeah something something small dude and I mean small comparison and you look at you look at the amount of people the star power that's in it because they all want to work with Nolan that's the it's a half black and white biopic and it made a billion or almost a bit like it's incredible it's incredible anyway all right that's it's it's it's it's it's great performance here by both coy and Winston is always great conversation with everybody out there. Real quick, plug your channels of just the name of where you can find it, starting with

Starting point is 02:03:36 So there you go. Nerds engaged. Coy, since you have seen the finale, can you confirm or deny if Batman? No, I don't want them to do that. It's hilarious. and appearance just to either keep hopes for people or rip the band-aid up. No, no, no. I really appreciate.
Starting point is 02:03:48 Sunday at 6 p.m. You can find out with every. I would be so upset if he answered that. I appreciate that. I would have the question. I appreciate that. I'd fight me. It'd be like the liar-liarcy.
Starting point is 02:03:59 I wouldn't do that. I'll tell you the one of the main reasons I'm going to know to myself when I watch it. I'm going to watch it after we'd stop recording is because Renzi-Felis going to owe me playoff tickets if he's in it. So that's why. All right. Thank you, to Winston. Thank you to Corey.
