Let's introduce everybody who is sitting in with us today to talk about all this great news. I am The Outlaw, John Roker. Joined, as always, on a Monday morning by the lovely Steph Sabra.

Not this week, but I think I'm going to try to line them up for next week. I haven't told you yet. I wanted to surprise you on the show. That's how you do it. Nice fresh haircut for Alex Marzonia. How are you? Alex, I'm good. I decided to get a haircut because I could I had to make sure Ben didn't have the best hair on this show. So now I got to take that. It looks so good. Thank you. Thank you. I appreciate it. No offense. No offense, but neither of you have the best hair on the show. We need to lose. Ryan Nelson, you just came out of closet. How are you feeling? How are you? And I got a haircut two weeks ago. No one knows, but I'm doing great. How are we doing? I was looking for a Star Wars shirt. I didn't get the memo, but I did see the announcement. How are you doing, John Roko? Good, good. What is that? A Temple Owl? on your, what is that? Temple Owls. They didn't make the dance this year, but I'm having fun
Starting point is 00:02:20 watching all the basketball. Wow. Yeah, certainly the Elite 8 lined up over the weekend. A lot of upsets. Shout out to the people here on the West Coast. And game time. If you want to join us over on the Outlaw Nation channel, but this is the SCE live show. And we're going to get into so many things going on. And please remember. or shmow down. Starting point is 00:02:47 Schmoel. Whatever it is. Stream Labs, super chats, and Schmobots are how we make things function in this world of SEM live. Please get us to where we need to get to today. Let's have a great start to the week.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Show some love to the network. Show some love to Christian Harloff and all the great entertainment we got provided for you here on the S.E.N. Live network, including Dan Merle's All My Movies coming on Wednesday. All of that is available for you to enjoy for sure. Alex, where shall we start, my man?
Starting point is 00:03:17 Let's start with the main topic. The Obi-Wi-Wa-H-H-H-H-No, let's derail it first. We're already at $10, folks. Let's call it a name. Let's call it. How are you? And play the music. All right, go ahead, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:03:35 It felt weird going right into the main story. I don't know. You really ever do it. But go ahead. This way, we'll switch it up. We'll switch it up. We can jibber. I just don't feel like a text this early in the morning.
Starting point is 00:03:51 So yeah. Roka. Yeah, should we do plugs first? Let's do staring at. I'll just do it all. Yeah, just in case the power goes out, we better get those out of the way. Yeah. We have a little power on Friday.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Yeah, apologies to everyone. But you got a music video to apparently enjoy after the show. Much love to all of them. you know and you know these these are virtual times it's not always going to work i know schmodeau battle uh battleground battlefield uh had issues as well on friday but we were able to adjust it quickly enough before the uh paper you fully started so you know these are things that are going to happen this is the virtual world uh for a little while anyway alex we got uh uncle oan and aunt baru coming back talk to me we do yeah the obi-canobi series is about the start production as the full cast list has
Starting point is 00:04:41 been announced joel edgerton and bonnie piece will be reprising their prequel world as Owen and Brular is joining the returning Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in the series. Other notable cast members include Kamail Nanjiani, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sun Kang, Indira Varma, and Benny Safdi. Roka, what do you think of all the cast members of the Obi-Wan series? I think this is fantastic. It's great to see such a great cast of talented actors. Oh, and oh, by the way, it just happens to be a diverse cast as well, but everybody in this cast is incredibly talented and so great to see them all jumping in.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Kamala and Johnny going to be interesting here goes Kamala and Johnny all of a sudden now becoming a guy in multiple universes of course all under the Disney umbrella but pretty great to see that and of course they joined indira varma who had already been announced but hey it's so great to hear joel adjerton coming back especially uh bonnie pae's coming back as well you know if you've watched the nexium stuff that was happening over the last year those documentaries she was a huge part of those documentaries and talking about her journey into that cult and out of that cult. So to see her coming back to play Baru for me is great. And I wonder, are they going to deage Joel Edgerton? You know, he's put on some some wrinkles and some years on that face of his.
Starting point is 00:05:57 And he's an Australian guy. So, you know, he's got that man manliness coming off of him. Are they going to deage them to go backwards? And this is also happening 10 years after Revenge of the Sith. So many safty being involved in this, O'Shea Jackson Jr. So many great people in this cast. I go to you, Steph Sabra, part of the Sith Council. You tell me, What excites you most about this cast and do you like this announcement? Yeah, I'm so excited about this announcement. So many of the cast members announced it just, I don't know how you don't get excited about them from their work. And then how well they already fit into the galaxy, like the universe itself.
Starting point is 00:06:32 That's how space looks. It looks diverse. So this just makes a lot more set. It feels so right. But more importantly, I'm more excited about, you know, after the recent trilogy that was released, a lot of Star Wars fans lost hope, pun intended with Obi-1, about where Star Wars would go. And I think that they're going exactly in the direction that a lot of fans wanted, you know. They're taking what we loved and then expanding on it like Obi-1.
Starting point is 00:07:00 A lot of fans have wanted this and what happened in those years between the trilogies to see, to see Obi-1 as one of the most-favoreded characters. And then also to show that they've been having this plan, which was the thing that was lacking before. We're watching a plan happen and we're watching it being executed and then as the process goes, like first they had Deborah Chow and we were so excited. And then we knew Hading Christensen was coming back and we were so excited. Now we have this entire cast and it just feels like Star Wars is on the right track to head in that MCU direction where they're really killing what they want to be doing. Yeah. And you know, Alex, you must feel you must feel great looking
Starting point is 00:07:40 at this cast as well. I mean, let's let's keep going. Moses Ingram being a part of this. Rupert friend, Soon Kang is so great to see him be a part of this. Simone, Simon Kessel, who is a New Zealand actress, Benny Safty, who of course is one half of the Zafty brothers who just did Uncut Gems a little over a year ago. So, so incredible to see so much talent here being involved in this. And you're right. I think what Steph says is absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:08:04 They already seem to fit into this world they're creating here in Canobey, don't you think, Alex? Oh, yes, definitely. There's so much diversity in this cast. It's pretty cool to see Joel Edgerton come back. back. O'Shea Jackson Jr. too. Like, he was great in, trade out of Compton. Straight out of Compton and, of course,
Starting point is 00:08:21 oh God. God, Zill. Ingrid Goes West. Ingrid Goes West. Yes. So I'm excited for him to join this universe. Sun Kang, he's probably that'd be cool if he plays a pod racer. Right. Yeah, Camel New Janiani. Like, this is super cool to see all this diversity. I'm happy for this.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Can't wait for it to come out. Like, my goodness. Yeah, and, and, and we go over to Brett. Brett, this is taking 10 years after Revenge of the Sith. So already people like, this means we're going to see, you know, child Luke. What's going to be the interactions between Kenobi, you and McGregor's Kenobi, and that Luke, Hayden Christensen coming back. So are you okay? Are you upset? Are you cool that we might get a little bit of Skywalker in this series as well? Well, I was just thumbing through the chat and I saw Bibbs come in there and say if there's
Starting point is 00:09:14 Anything that's worked well in Star Wars franchises that's seeing popular characters as kids. So I didn't quite think about that until he pointed that out. But, yeah, I don't know. I'm not concerned necessarily. I don't know. This one just is something that I'm excited to see. Maybe the cast is a little too diverse at this point. Elmo, stop it.
Starting point is 00:09:35 You didn't do the voice. shit. Emma, then you canceled your show. Cut it out. This may be why they canceled your talk show. It's become the United Nations. Enough. Please, people.
Starting point is 00:09:46 But no, it looks great. I love all these actors, you know, and actresses, or we just call them actors. I don't know what the term. But anyway, no, it looks great. I'm excited to see it. I have been since I heard about it. This is definitely something I'm excited to check out, unlike the Winter Soldier, which I still haven't seen that one.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Oh. The name of it. Like, sorry. I don't blame you. I think I'm more excited about it. loving falcon and winter soldier but i am more excited about this obi once here i'm so this is this star wars thing i think most people are the most excited about yeah that's actually excellent point yeah because people loved uh... you and mcgregoros canobi and exploring this kind of time
Starting point is 00:10:28 that we haven't known about in the past is going to be interesting for sure ryan this is what four six episodes have they announced is it four six eight episodes i believe it's six i believe it's six that could change i am the most excited for this out of anything since disney bought star Wars, I think this is everything. This is everything. This will bridge the prequel fans, the original fans. Black Hawk donated $20. Imagine if
Starting point is 00:10:51 there's a flashback scene of Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker and Ewan McGregor's Obi-One Canobe in their clone wars armor. Yeah, we'd cry. We'd all cry. Yeah. I think we might get that. I think we might get that. I think, well, now I know Hayden's going to be basically
Starting point is 00:11:07 the co-lead, maybe, of the show. He's the second one there. I thought we might get like him for one or two episodes, but it feels like he's going to have a presence throughout the whole show. I'm psych to see Camel Nanjiani. I was a little like, oh, he's in Marvel. He's in Eternals. But Ben Mendelsohn was also in Captain Marvel,
Starting point is 00:11:21 and then he was in Rogue One. So I think that could work. I'm really curious to see what character he plays. I was psyched to see that they're bringing Uncle Owen and on Peru back with the actors, too. Like, Bonnie, I watched The Vow and, like, this is someone whose life was basically taken from them and the fact that she's now getting able, being able to reprise this role,
Starting point is 00:11:39 maybe a more substantial role than she had in the prequels. This is basically like a rejuvenating your whole career. So I couldn't be more happy to see that. Yeah, I mean, I think that's the number one thing is people are excited to see Uncle Owen and Aunt Peru come back. Are we going to get a little more depth, a little more exploration of their relationship with Luke of what they did growing up? You know, are they going to take the risk of turning Luke into a little bit of an ungrateful
Starting point is 00:12:01 kid because Aunt Peru and Uncle Owen took him in? Are there going to be a great relationship or a troubling relationship? I don't know. Remember, Luke was couldn't wait. to get out of there. Luke was excited to leave them behind. Of course, he was heartbroken when what happened to him happened to them, but, you know, he couldn't wait to get out of there. So are they going to have troubles dealing with a Luke who has sense of, is he going to show force possibilities? Like, what are we going to see here that will cause conversations between Kenobi and, uh, and Owen and
Starting point is 00:12:32 and Baru? And, you know, Joel Edgerton has just already made such an impact in the world of entertainment as a director, as a writer, as an actor. So to have him come back, uh, I think, he might be the co-lead to be honest with you over hayden hayden might be just flashbacks or as uh owen could be the co-lead as canovi is down there doing the stuff that he's doing but i hope we get more of bonnie as well uh we anybody else what do you all think yeah i think we'll get a good amount of thought i think we will get flashbacks in this show and as well as present day but i think what's so cool about the show is the opportunity like ryan was saying to bridge the fans but also to enhance the storylines because You're in a pocket of, you're coming in the middle of two stories and three movies and three movies that have come out.
Starting point is 00:13:18 This can make dialogue that I think some people felt unsure about or it changed when they saw the prequels or the sequels more effective. So it has an ability to like really change the way the newer generation was going to view Star Wars. Yeah, yeah. Alex, what do you think? Do you think we'll see Hayden this flashback or do we see Hayden in the outfit in the costume in Vader? Is this current? Do we have him doing the voice instead of James Earl Jones just augmented or changed a little bit? Would they be willing to do that?
Starting point is 00:13:49 That's a good question. I think he'll probably be more in flashbacks. I think he'll be given a chance to really act outside of the costume and you can see him act and everything. But I'm curious when we'll see a casting announcement for a 10-year-old Luke. That'll be interesting too. Oh, yeah. Jacob Tremblay. No, just kidding.
Starting point is 00:14:07 I'm sure Brendan Myers already sent in his head. other. Oh, man. You know, Dwayne Burke described a scene that he would love to see in this show to me. That's been in my head ever since where he was like, I hope we get to see Hayden maybe duel Obi-1 one more time. Yeah. And he takes the helmet off and he goes, look what you did to me.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Yeah. And you can actually see that acting from Hayden under a different director other than George Lucas. Right. He's like, I got to put this helmet back out or I'll die. What do you think about? Is there any 10-year-old little 10-year-old girls going to be in this? because I've got someone I need to audition, if so.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Is there? Yes. Oh, my gosh. Put her in Star Wars. That's what you need in your life, having your daughter become a Star Wars star. Yeah. You're totally handled that really well. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:53 No. Any problem? No toxicity associated with that. I feel like she would handle it. You would be the best at it because she's like such a cool little girl that doesn't really care about the. Yeah. What else?
Starting point is 00:15:04 Yeah, she'd be like whatever. So you like me? Oh, I. I think she'd be great. I'd reward for Brett. I'd be very worried. It'd be tough. I'm already worried.
Starting point is 00:15:13 I just got some photos back from a clothing photo shoot and I am worried. But Ryan, I think that those scenes between those two will be the most important. I think what everyone wants because, you know, he like mutilated him. He destroyed him and left him to be tortured while he thought he was dying. And then later finds out, obviously he's. must have sensed that he didn't die. So then he's spending these years reconciling with his friend, his brother, and what he's done. And that is not the Jedi way how that happened, if you really think about it. So, I mean, I don't know. You don't know? Yeah. I mean, like,
Starting point is 00:15:56 you told him, I got the high ground cut it out. And his anger wouldn't let him cut it out. So my man had to hand out some lessons here. And he did leave him there. But he yelled at him, he said you were the chosen one. And I've never really believed that they were friends or brothers. And I know maybe that's a controversy, but I, he was foisted upon, uh, Kanobe from, uh, Kauai Gond and he didn't even want him. I kept telling Kui Gond, why are we taking this kid? We don't need this kid.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Let's the, you know, it was KauiGon who forced this all to happen. So what I think though might be interesting step is they have that commerce. Curtis Lopez donated $20. You never really care for me. What if one of the boys who played billion? Tommy in Wonder Vision plays young Luke. They are already in the Disney family. That's true.
Starting point is 00:16:43 It's a good possible. I mean, speaking of Quigon, where's Liam Neeson on this cast list? Yeah. I think they're saving that. I mean, that was totally one of my predictions a few months ago and we knew Hayden was coming back. I just think that we're going to get him, you know, we knew he was there with Quigon's spirit, you know, learning how to force go. So I think that there's no way he's not coming. Yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 00:17:07 I was going to ask where's Tamara Morrison. Oh, yeah. Boba. You think Bob will be involved? Cody, because remember there was that. There was that announcement a few weeks back. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's possible, too.
Starting point is 00:17:20 John Howey over there on Resistance Broadcast, we were tweeting back and forth, and he mentioned that he thinks that we might get a Jimmy Smith's appearance, you know, get him coming back. And you don't have to deage him. My man, Brown don't frown. So he's going to be fine. Let him play the way he's going to play.
Starting point is 00:17:36 So will he pop up in some? way in this as well so you know this is exciting i love this idea i love to come up deborahs certainly has got an incredible wealth of actors to put on to her sets and see what she can get out of them so that's exciting for all of us my only thing is we're doing you know falcon winter soldier stuff you mentioned how good it is it is good right and the frustrating part now versus mandolorean or versus uh a wand division is i wanted all six episodes on the same day i think all of us are going to want that kind of Pinobi episodes all on the same day and it'll be fun to finally get them because we'll be clambering for them.
Starting point is 00:18:13 And I wonder if there'll be half an hour, 50 minutes, an hour, or maybe longer per episode. I don't know. But it seems like they're getting all their ducks lined up in a row to have a really strong cast for this. Yeah. And Deborah Chow we trust. We knew as soon as we saw her two Mandalorian episodes, this woman is who we should be trusting. The most important piece of Star Wars shows or movies that's coming to like.
Starting point is 00:18:37 I think right now. So I think that she totally has a plan. I don't know about the episode length, but I do trust that she'll do whatever is right for the story. I'm guessing they're going to be a little bit longer since it's only six episodes, and it's just a mini-series. So my guess would be about 40-minute episodes, 38 minutes or whatever the runtime is.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Are there any scenes, Ryan mentioned a scene that Dwayne wants to see. Are there any other scenes that you guys want to see between the characters that have been announced or the actors that have been presented here. Nerdie Bridge Guy donated $20. Thank you, Nerdy. Not sure if you guys touched on this, but glad to see the actress Bonnie back in the mix of Star Wars
Starting point is 00:19:18 after seeing all the horrors she faced in that cult from the Vow documentary. Truly, it's a huge deal. I mean, she wanted to be a singer after she was in Star Wars, and I just don't think that panned out, and then having so much for life taken by that called, and now here's another chance. Big deal. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Yeah, I forgot about it until you had mentioned that because we watched that a while back, but yeah, oh. Yeah. Yeah. That documentary combined with the one on stars about Catherine Oxenberg's daughter as well. That's a one-two punch you guys got to watch. Mark doesn't come off so well in that documentary.
Starting point is 00:19:54 So that guy got to pay a little more debt for this situation. Anyway, sorry, Steph, you were saying. The two major scenes I'm looking for is another duel between Obi-1 and then Darth Vader. Right. And then I want to see Quygon teaching Obi-One how to become a Force Ghost, because that would just be sick.
Starting point is 00:20:14 Oh, my God. That's just an indulgent one of mine that I would like. I'd like to learn some of the training for myself, so if he can give me some of the lessons on screen. I know who will back you up on that. Kate Mulligan, the more First Ghosts, the better. More the better. What about Yoda?
Starting point is 00:20:32 Isn't Yoda possibility here? John is about to say that. I was about to see what do you think the scene I want well you know one thing Dave phoning a lot of people make Star Wars say it's Star Wars rhymes Queefar underscore Sutherland donated $20 Thank you Quifle like this show
Starting point is 00:20:46 will redeem the characterizations of some characters in the prequels To imagine Hayden Christensen Being able to have great dialogue to work with Will be a great thing to see Disney Plus is killing it with these series now Yeah Cideprefect 13 donated $20
Starting point is 00:21:03 Thank you You know we need crazed mace window hunting down the last of the sky walk a line. Oh, ho, ho. We'll see. Let's touch, let's finish your Yoda point. Let's swing back to that. Oh, I was going to say, you know, they say Star Wars rhymes a lot. I would love, again, I like the Last Jedi.
Starting point is 00:21:22 I would love to see a similar scene that Luke has with Yoda and Last Jedi that Obi-One has, because in a way, they're in a similar point in life where they've, like, run away, they've hidden. Obi-1's more of like a protecting side, whereas in the Last Jedi, it was different for Luke, but I'd love to see him get another scene that kind of encourages him to get back in the fight, and maybe that's the like inciting incident to get him to fight. Vader and so on and so forth. So I would love to see a similar scene like that and anything with Ysusus donated $25. This show has the potential to be a goat level show. An outlaw level show is what you're trying to say.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Yeah, I agree. I understand what you're saying. No, there's a great story in the new, from a certain point of view, the Empire Stracts, one that came out between Yoda and Kenobi. And it's all told from Kenobi's point of view when he's there on Daegaba with Yoda. And so it's very interesting. So if they have, and remember, he has all these comments.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Was I any difference when you train? So there's, there could be stuff where we have Yoda and Kenobi having a bit of a tete or a back and forth or issues with some of the training and what have you. Because remember, Kenobi is not necessarily done with his training. by the time that prequel trilogy is over. So there may be more, a master is always learning. And so will there be stuff with him and Yoda
Starting point is 00:22:43 where there's some kind of training or some kind of conversations or whatever about the natural course of things? And you're absolutely right, Ryan, it could be Yoda going to saying, like, you've got to find your way back into this fight. I know you lost him and you lost this, but there's a responsibility here.
Starting point is 00:22:57 It may swing back to Steph, what she was saying, like, you know, you left me here, you did this to me. Look at you, you know, all of that. How much is that going to creep in? into Canovi's soul and work him over from the inside out. So it's all great points. Talk to me about Mace Window.
Starting point is 00:23:11 You want to see Mace come back? A haggard Mace trying to get revenge? What do you think? I would love to see Mace come back because he just got his shit rocked as the whole order to him by just being blindsided. So I think that he's a lot of revenge to her. I don't think they're going to do it because it's just, it would be weird to see him doing one scene of that unless it
Starting point is 00:23:34 fits into the overall pot like if that's what the story they want to tell is like kutisloke has donated $20. Thank you much you bet kumail nagi-arly plays a droid he's got that Anthony Daniels tyke white Ety tallyl and dudec vibe and i can hear his voice coming out of a droid I could see that yeah safti as well saffty could be a droid they'd be totally i was thinking donated 25 dollars Jesus need a scene with vado and dobi one fighting on the boot at padm's grave Yo.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Oh. I would be so dark. At the grave? At the grave, yo. I want to see a fight, but I don't know if I want it over my dead lover's body. Quigon's there. Cut it out.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Stop it. Seriously, wrong place, wrong time. Let's go. What are you doing? What about Mays? Oh, sorry, go ahead. Oh, I don't think that that's the story they want to tell. Happy Monday.
Starting point is 00:24:34 I think it's safe to assume that Vader's goal in this is to kill the son he didn't know he had. Obi-1 will do a great job defending him as Luke didn't even know of Vader's existence in episode four. Have a great day, all you beautiful people. Thank you, JP. Have a great day. Jeff, finish your point. Yeah, I just think the story is going to either be Vader hunting or Kenobi seeking out Vader in an attempt to redeem himself or like have some sort of reconciliation
Starting point is 00:25:03 between the two. Yeah, but how crazy would it be if Mace finds out that Vader is Anakin and they have like a final battle toe to toe. And Vader maybe kills Mace once and for all to kind of end him coming back. But Sam still comes back one more time to have a badass lightsaber scene. That could be fun. A hundred percent. If Mace, I love Mace. I love Mace. I love Mace Window. It makes back. I am so game for it and I would love to see Mace written with better dialogue too. I think he
Starting point is 00:25:35 him and Anakin are two characters that could heavily be enhanced by dialogue. Thousand percent agree with you. Anybody else? What do you think, Alex? I was thinking Rupert friend and Benny Safdi would be some like nasty scuzzy Empire Boys. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:50 I think, yeah, Rupert friends got that look. He's just like, oh, I don't trust you. Yeah, or Benny Sapti could be like a scavenger type of guy. I don't know. Like, I'm super excited to see who they play. I like the Kumail Nanjiani droid suggestion.
Starting point is 00:26:04 I feel like that's a pretty good call. So. Yeah. Any final ones on this, Brett? I think they're all going to be de-aged and turned into little kids and it's going to be like a Rugrats kind of a situation.
Starting point is 00:26:16 Star Wars Rugrats. That's my prediction. Yes. Instead of Paris, they go to New. Yeah. Star Wars babies. Yeah, Star Wars babies. Star Wars babies. I want Mace nowhere near this show.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Oh, yeah, you don't, you don't. Nowhere near. What about baby mace? What about maybe mace? Yeah, maybe a flashback, but like, I don't know. Baby java? Yeah. Oh, Java.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Baby java. That is a possibility. That was definitely a possibility. I like the idea of java. Yeah. Sure. I definitely know that's possibility. I really do think, though, with this just being called Obi-1-Kinobi,
Starting point is 00:26:53 we're going to get flashbacks a lot more than we think. I think a lot of it's going to be Clone Wars and maybe even pre-attack of the clones. And I think there's a ton you could do with just these lessons from Kenobi. Maybe he's tying up some loose ends and some other storylines. And then the Vader one kind of comes into play there. And that dialogue they have in a New Hope where he's like, the last time I left you, I was put a learner and now I'm the master. And I thought like you were destroyed.
Starting point is 00:27:17 How did he think Obi-1 was destroyed? He was like left in a burning pit. So something happened clearly. And we're going to see it. Yeah. Yeah. Is As Soka parachuting in maybe? for an episode or an appearance.
Starting point is 00:27:27 I mean, she'd be around. Yeah, around. Yeah, I know. I think she could be because the way the Mandalorian showed itself was that they might be going in a direction where they like to sprinkle in
Starting point is 00:27:41 what's happening next or characters that they're focusing on next. Asoka's obviously in the limelight in what is a big focus of what Star Wars is doing next. So maybe, but again, I think the story really is going to be OB-1 and Dorf Baker. 13 donated $20.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Thank you. Are you saying Mace is too powerful to be kept alive? No, I'm saying he just fell out of window, got his arm chopped off, and left a few that, he's probably dead. They said that about a winter soldier, and look what happened.
Starting point is 00:28:12 So I'm just saying, I'm just saying, you know. Wow, Roca, that was quick. Yes. A little bit. A little bit. A little bit. A little bit. No, we were watching Captain America First Avenger over the weekend with our stereo thing, me and my lady outlaw. So that's why
Starting point is 00:28:29 I came to mind so quickly. So, yeah, I mean, that's certainly, I mean, I used to donate $20. Jesus! Need to get back to work of great show Monday gang. Thank you, thank you, Jesus. Keep making them shoes, son. And the tracks, but keep making them shoes. Um,
Starting point is 00:28:44 all right, well, anyway, we'll probably clip this out. Why, A-Ithums donated $20. I think Coomail would be amazing as a droid, but selfishly I want to see him in person. As a brown man, it would mean more to me to see someone like me reflected on screen versus just his voice. I was so happy to see Rez Ahmed in Rogue One. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:07 A great point. Yeah. Doggin donated $20. Thank you, Dougan. Happy Monday crew. What's great about having Hayden and Ewan back is they can have scenes to really show off their true acting chops. No disrespect to George, but they never really got the chance in the prequels with the poor direction and done. I love Hayden Christensen.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Justice for Hayden is like I'm always on that and I really hope that he gets that. And then I hope this makes it so he gets booked and busy moving forward because I really do enjoy him. But Kumail, I don't know if they're going to use him as a Jordan. I do see him like us being able to see him as a character, especially because it's been, he's made such a wave in terms of like his body journey and progress like for film and fitness. And so I feel like they're going on that way, but we made him a Marvel superhero. And like, let's keep doing that.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Let's put him in Star Wars. Let's show that bod. Someone from Silicon Valley who actually kept his hands to himself. Let's, I think that's it. I think that's okay. So as we go along with the shows, you guys are catching up with our conversations and make sure you send in your streamlap,
Starting point is 00:30:17 Super Chats, and Smobots. Thank you so much. We want to hear what you, what scene do you want to see? What characters do you want to see these incredible actors play? I mean, we haven't even, you know, we haven't even touched a little bit on Indira Varma, but who are the other ladies playing in this cast? We mentioned a lot of the male actors, but what are the ladies besides Bonnie?
Starting point is 00:30:34 What are they all playing? What characters might they be getting involved in here and playing? Are they Jedi? Are they Sith? Someone mentioned, God, I can't remember who it was. I saw it on Twitter this morning that someone mentioned who one of the characters might be playing, who Moses Ingram might be playing. Some people mentioned a young.
Starting point is 00:30:55 young Assocato. I've seen that for Moses Ingram, that instead of Rosario, who is, of course, a little more seasoned by the time she shows up recently in the Mandalorian, we can have her playing a younger version, or some people have mentioned Ray Sloan.
Starting point is 00:31:11 I've seen her mentioned as a possibility that Moses Ingram might be playing Ray Sloan. So a lot of possibilities. Let us know what you think when you're sending you to Stream Lab, super chats, and schmobots. If they click this out, remember to like this video,
Starting point is 00:31:23 subscribe to the SCN network, there leave a comment and share it on your social media and tell people all about the show um and speaking of stereo which i mentioned a couple of minutes ago don't we have that popping off at 12 o'clock here brett yeah we're doing 12 o 5 to give ourselves a little breather and throw a little snack in our face but uh you know we're coming up on some uh Ryan's final days that sounded wrong oh whoa but no uh Ryan running out of time we're running out of time with Ryan his days are numbered God this is not working I'm going to have stereo.
Starting point is 00:31:56 Oh, thank you, Curtis. Oh, thank you, Chris. Do you think there's a chance a team pops up in Obi-1? I think a team that's going to pop up at 1205 is Ryan Nilsson and Brett Sheridan on Stereo.com slash Brett Sheridan or slash Ryan Nilsson. Come check us out. Follow us. Just join the party.
Starting point is 00:32:15 I should put in the description for the show. What's the show? It's whatever you want it to be. All you have to do is shoot in some questions and do your jokes and do some impressions. and we'll have some fun. And I get to have what I mentioned when Ryan did the Brett and Cape Playdate. It's nice for me. I got to know Ryan a lot better doing this show just by having.
Starting point is 00:32:36 It's like having a phone call after the show and just kind of chatting. So it's really fun. Come check it out. Follow both of us. We need 5 million subscribers by tonight. Wow. I like to set roca goals, man. I like to set roca goals.
Starting point is 00:32:53 So check it out. And we'll see it, 1205. There you go. Five million followers fight tonight. Or he'll come kill your cat. That's for sure. Yes. Yes, Soutine is a possibility for sure.
Starting point is 00:33:04 That could be a lot of fun. A lot of people thinking Indira Varma might be playing Sotene. So that could be interesting. Indira Varm is a fantastic actress. But certainly a lot of Asian representation here. You know, this is for all the terrible stuff that is happening in some of the attacks on Asian Americans and Asians around the world, it's great to see these franchises start to bring about more Asian representation,
Starting point is 00:33:27 more Asian characters. This is a positive. It's a positive place. There you go. Asian American Girl Club. Let's go. Let's go. You got a name of Simone Kessel.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Kessel run over me. Right? Right. Ryan Nelson. I need you to take a lap and re-ent. Thinking of the final days, of Brian Nelson. All right.
Starting point is 00:33:58 What do we got next to your, Alex? I also saw in the chat. We hope to see Asaj Ventris also. Maybe one of these people are, one of the women will be playing her. That would be pretty cool. I can see Sabo cameo. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:12 Maybe some Subalba cameo, some pod racing mixed in there. And Sung Kang did play the character called Hans Solo. Fast and Furious, so maybe he's playing a young Han Solo. Alex, it's your turn. Now, you take a laugh. You take a guy.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Alex! Is he later? You said it was like the cutest grin, and I'm like, is it a joke? Oh, God. He said this information. Oh, God. All right. What's next, Alex, brother, man?
Starting point is 00:34:46 Okay, let's move on to the next story from one of Roka's favorite franchises to his even more favorite franchise and other Transformers, standalone. movie has set former showrunner of Marvel's The Defenders Marco Ramirez as the writer of a new movie with Charm City King's director Anhele Manuel Soto helming the movie. It will be
Starting point is 00:35:05 apparently not be connected to the five Michael Bay movies, mold the animated prequel from Josh Cooley or the upcoming Stephen Cable Jr. directed movie. Rocca, what do you think of another Transformer standalone movie being greenlit? I know, I think it's fantastic. I love the
Starting point is 00:35:21 TV series they announced, the people involved the TV series. But this, we'd heard the Charm City director that was a possibility. So now hearing the writer, I think this is great. This is all fantastic and a new point of view, new approach, new look, I'm all for it. Look, I will defend those Michael Bay films as fun films to, you know, they're popcorn, they're cotton candy, man. It's not, it's just fun to hang out and watch those for people who like them. And look, they made almost $5 billion. So people fucking like them. But the other side is, well, there was a lot of pushback from some of the hardcore fans bumblebee kind of redeemed a little more goodwill but certainly the box office
Starting point is 00:35:57 wasn't that strong so will this new approach lead to a better interpretation of transformers for most of the fan base we shall see but i'm all for multiple people getting involved in transformers and showing their point of view and showing what they want to do with those characters so i'm down what about you there uh uh step so this is going to be a new take on the stories that we've seen before this is their approach to it but I don't think it's a new take right it doesn't seem like a reboot it seems like we're still going to be in the world it's just going to be them telling different stories in that world it seems like oh yeah I think that okay if it's that's the case then and still think that you have more stories to tell after telling 10 stories
Starting point is 00:36:41 go for it how dare you baby I'm never gonna knock the hustle get your money how you get it Higher actors make work gotta love that but I don't know where where are you getting the story I feel like everyone's in the writers room just doing asked like how do we create another storyline of cars Sorry roca Oh my God what is happening They're about to do 10 Fast and Furious movies you can come for the Transformers hey I come for them too I come for them to capitalism it's just like ringing out every bit of creativity in a storyline but I think I like Bumblebee. So I can only talk so much shit.
Starting point is 00:37:23 I did. So maybe there is more stuff they can do with that. And I think that someone else should definitely be able to have the take the lead on that if they think they have the story to tell. Yeah, definitely. What do you think, Brett? I, if this is like the Joker of Transformers movies, then I am down. I want a deep, gritty Transformers movie that shows a lot of craziness, man. And I want to see Optimus Prime walking down, doing a dance down, some stairs.
Starting point is 00:37:53 I want an exact reboot of the Joker movie with all the Transformers. Yes. Yes. Yes. Transformers that crashing those, crushing those stairs. And they're breaking up. Stoms, stoms, stons. Yes.
Starting point is 00:38:12 So, yeah. No, I love Transformer. I don't, you know, again, I woke up when, No child gets up that early to watch anything. To watch these, I ride my bike to my friend's school and watch the Transformer cartoons. And I got to tell you, I don't remember the plot of any of them. All I needed to see was, and I got that in the film. So it's like, that's, I, my bar was low on these.
Starting point is 00:38:39 So I don't know what the, you know, there was a lot of hate I know. But, you know, I'm a simple man when it comes to my transformer. but transmorphers, not the same movie. Well, this is also interesting when I swing back to Ryan on this one. I mean, Marco Ramirez, of course, Latino, so 1,000% on board. But there's about the time we had a Latino involved in these transformers other than me. So it's nice to see that being involved in the situation. And Ed Manuel Soto, of course.
Starting point is 00:39:09 So this is nice to have two Latinos involved with this or people of Latin heritage to see what they can bring to this interpretation. because I know there are a lot of us. There are a lot of Latino fans of Transformers and the Transformers' original animated series, the comic books, all the animas you've seen, even those Netflix series that they've been dropping lately. I've seen it on the message.
Starting point is 00:39:29 That's donated $20. The only Transformers movie I want to see is the scene in Bumblebee that's set on Cybertron. We don't need any humans in this franchise. Tell the story of the war on Cybertron. Oh, my God. I couldn't agree. agree with you more. That's a thousand percent of the truth. I don't need to see Shaila
Starting point is 00:39:49 Booth and whatever hot model he's dating at the time. I don't need to see any of that crap. I want to see just them going at it. Some of the best scenes of last night. I know a lot of people hated that last film that Michael Bay did were when they were battling and they were having conversations and they were arguing. That's what we grew up on in John the Transformers. So if they had the guts to do one that was all just Transformers, I think people would love it if you got the right voice cast for it. That's like, go ahead. That's the argument with, you know,
Starting point is 00:40:20 Kong and Godzilla films in general, that they haven't yet mastered the human conversations and dialogues and approach that happens in the films. I do love the, just the Transformers talking to each other. I think that could be really cool. But, Rocha, you said,
Starting point is 00:40:36 if there's some Latinos involved in this and you make Transformers more Latino, fuck yeah, then I am like all the way. signed up. Yeah, exactly. But don't do what Michael Bay did. Don't get me a samurai transformer.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Don't give me a Mariachi transformer for the love of God. Let it be separate. But no, it's apparently, Steph, it's not connected to the mic. I'm looking at the article now a little more deeply. It is not connected to either of the five Michael Bay films or the bumblebee one. It's completely unrated to the Stephen Cable Jr. Directing six film that's in that series or that animated prequel that Josh Cooley has been linked So it's a separate standalone, as Brett said, the Joker of the Transformers movies.
Starting point is 00:41:19 So that's certainly a possibility. What do you think there, Ryan? Do we see Optimus Pride dancing down a staircase possibly? Well, okay. I mean, I was actually curious with the Stephen Cable Jr. If it was linked to that one or not. Because I love Stephen Cable Jr. But I mean, this, I think in 2017 was my least favorite franchise of all time,
Starting point is 00:41:39 bar none, horrible, heinous, terrible Michael Bay, Transformers. Age of Extinction, probably the worst film I've ever seen in the theater. How dare you? Just offended minute after minute, but found humor in it with just the ridiculous but a light promotion to the Chinese, whatever it was, drink. To just like, we're going to go to China and the legends are true and here are dinosaurs. And it's just ridiculous. And I know it's, I know fast and furious. I know there's 10 coming out, John.
Starting point is 00:42:08 You know what's great? And there's family in there. There's no family in this. It's only foes. And I don't believe any of this garbage. I like the first shy of one. It was fun. Everything after that was terrible.
Starting point is 00:42:18 But I love Bumblebee. And I'm psyched that this isn't linked to it. It's the box office. It comes down to the numbers. I know they made money. I know Agen of Extinction made a billion dollars. But last night only made $600. That's almost like a half of the one before.
Starting point is 00:42:32 And Bumblebee made less than that. It made a little bit less than that. $475. That's $125 million. How did you do that? If we're talking domestic, it only made a million less. But if we're talking worldwide. In his pocket change, right?
Starting point is 00:42:46 It was going up against Aquaman. It was going up against Alka. Who saw that come? Wow, Ryan really just went on, you were like the jury, the judge and the executioner on that one. If I may rebut, Your Honor. Yeah. In Conair. Approach the bunch.
Starting point is 00:43:04 Here we go. In Conair. What does homie say? He said, what's the definition of irony? It's a bunch of people dancing on a plane to a song by a band that had members of it die in a plane crash, right? That's the devil. It's only second behind a guy who's working on a show
Starting point is 00:43:24 plugging ads for the show, bitching on ads that are being plugged in a movie. What is wrong with you, Ryan? Everything is synergy, everything is ads, everything is connected, son. Please. Stanley Tucci plays Merlin in the fifth one, and he's a different character in the fourth one.
Starting point is 00:43:38 It makes no sense, John. Don't you come for Tucci. Don't you come for the Tucci? Don't you come for Hopkins either, who's also in that fifth one. God he sold out. Oh, my God. He's thinking about that in his seventh house. You're right.
Starting point is 00:43:51 He really is. He's thinking about that on his seat. He writes about your confidence. But he did the father this year. Francis McDormand also in the transfer. Holy shit. There's a lot of great legendary actors in the Transformers series, ladies and gentlemen. And I'm pretty sure there are some Latino characters,
Starting point is 00:44:05 and you can see them very heinously, raciously depicted in three and four. where it's just ridiculous. No, two is the worst. Two is pretty horrible. That's when they have the two guys. That was like, Michael, what the fuck is wrong with you? I don't defend that second one. Yeah, that was like Shia's introduction to the tax collector movie.
Starting point is 00:44:27 He's like, oh, this is how I depict a Mexican nice. I got it, man. I will say the funniest thing in any of the Transformers movies is, oh my gosh, Here's the guy from Blackish, the main guy. I'm totally blanking on his name. Oh, Anthony Anderson. Anthony Anderson, when he's like holding on to something and they're like, get it out of my pocket. Left cheek, left cheek.
Starting point is 00:44:49 I love that moment. And that's the moment you love? That's the moment I love. But I'm psyched this isn't connected at all. Fresh slate. I love Charmed City Kings. Have you guys seen that? It's great.
Starting point is 00:45:00 So I think they got some really exciting directors continuing this dumpster fire. Open the doors. You know what? You wish you had a $4 billion dumpster fire in your resume. Yeah. Anyway, All right. Let's move on before I get too.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Ryan, you are not above that. Ryan's an actor. Ryan's going to take some. He's going to be in Transformers 50, apologizing to all of us in 10 years. Yeah, I'm not saying I hate Transformers.
Starting point is 00:45:26 I'm going to send this to a studio and make them hire Ryan as the host for all these Transformers movies. He would actually love that. Holding a Pepsi can in China. That's what I want to do. Guys, he killed someone with the football in the fourth floor. That's right. That's right.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Pepsi can cure world peace according to Kendall Jenner. So it's all good. I can't tell you the name of a single character in a non-Shile above Transformers movie. Wow. That's not a transformer. Like a human character. I don't know Mark Wahlberg. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:46:00 They're irrelevant. They're irrelevant. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. But they look cool. And you know what? If you guys enjoy them, that's great. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:06 I also liked Megan Fox in there. I also in wasn't there some in the first one and the third one yeah yeah she was in the first one second oh wait no she was in the first one the second sorry it was rosy hauntington whitley in the third one my apologies uh then after that we never got to see her again nope that was jason that's jason's uh wife i think or girlfriend yeah rosy yeah she's great a good actress yeah that's great all right anyway where where we don't get me in trouble uh you calm down yeah you do need to Calm down, coming from the Transformers.
Starting point is 00:46:40 We're not even an hour into the show. Optimist prime. Optimus. I'm the other ones where shit. You're all shit. You don't know shit. I would totally sell Buddley and his Transformers, I take it all back. See, for people who are mad about the SCN Lab Award nominations, I'm writing this down so that we have a nomination for next year.
Starting point is 00:47:03 So we remember it. So make sure you write down Best Rent. So maybe you see the guy over there donated $20. See that guy. Hello, Senn, crew. Ryan, that was Tari Skibson, who said that not Anthony Anderson. Wrong black guy, Ryan. Take another lap.
Starting point is 00:47:19 Take a lap, Jimball. Take a lap, John. All right. Take a look. Left cheek. Left cheek. All you remembered was the content. I did.
Starting point is 00:47:31 That's my bad. I'll take that. But I'm going to look it up. The blonde, the blonde hacker, the actual. She's the one in Jessica Jones. She's Jessica Jones's friend in that. Oh, yeah, same actress. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, it totally was Tyrese. I'm a racist. Oh, well, you're not a racist.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Okay, it totally was him. I got, just found the clip. You're from Philadelphia too. Come on, man. It's so easy to mess of actors names. It's my bad. He was in the other one. Especially when there's 50 Transformers films. Yeah. There's literally five. There's just, all right. We will act out the left cheek formers. Rooka.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Brickin me down. Come on, Steph. You're waiting. I should support you, Steph. This one I can't support you. I love you, Roka. Thank you. All right.
Starting point is 00:48:18 Do you guys want to talk sports? I have to go to the bathroom. Yeah, yeah. Let's do it. The balls. How's your bracket doing? Nobody has a good bracket. All pumped up, deflated.
Starting point is 00:48:29 What's going on? Everything. Even if you had a woman's bracket, it's deflated. Texas pulled that upset over the weekend. well so a lot of good basketball in that tournament you know even if you don't follow college basketball you can enjoy some really great games uh and surely that ucla alabama game that went to overtime yesterday was stellar michigan destroyed my knolls but it was to be expected uh but good stuff good stuff overall there's a massive NFL trade a lot of rumors that jimmy g might be going to the
Starting point is 00:48:58 patriots because of this trade what happens to cam newton i don't know we shall see anyone watch the ufc fight oh lord Whoa. They need to get Francis Bungarno in a Marvel movie. That man is built like a truck. I've never seen anything like that. It's a good point. It's a good point.
Starting point is 00:49:18 Probably once he's done fighting, that could be an easy move right on. Totally. I mean, Rampage Jackson was in fucking A-Team. We've seen both Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell do stuff Coutors in the experimental movies. So why not? Mangano could definitely make the jump for sure.
Starting point is 00:49:35 And speaking of knockouts, Talk about Friday night, ladies and gentlemen, wouldn't have a lot of fun? Hey, oh, no one believed it was going to happen and the outlaw took care of business. Took care of business.
Starting point is 00:49:46 Shout out to Liz Shannon Miller. Nothing negative to say about that incredible competitor. It was an honor to play her. Sam Levine, the less said about that guy, the better. But he did have my headshot printed out, which I thought was fantastic. That's when I knew I had it.
Starting point is 00:50:00 That's when I hooked him and yanked him into the battleground. So it was a lot of fun. Hope you all got a chance to watch had also a fantastic match between Mark Riley, you know, fighting his heart out to try go toe to toe with Ben. But in the end, Bateman get the victory. Bateman got the victory. And, you know, there's a little bit of controversy. But that's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:50:18 It's a live event. Things are going to happen. Thank you to all the fans who were patient with it. All the ones who went after Christian, maybe, you know, maybe you create something and try to do what he's doing. It be a little more understanding, create some grace in certain situations, ladies and gentlemen. All great sport events have controversy. Yeah. never going to watch an NFL game NBA game where you're not mad at the
Starting point is 00:50:39 refs you're not mad at a call that was made it's just the nature of the game and like anything that's competitive there's going to be things that don't go your way don't go perfectly or that's what sports are everything went perfectly in competition that's not fun I mean part of it it sucks when you don't feel like you have justice but it is a part of the game yeah exactly exactly and it goes the way it goes and so good matches though you know maybe it might be lining up that the outlaw on Ben Bateman are going to go tone to tone later on down the road.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Yes. We got a huge event coming in April, though. Kevin Smith taken on sassy, Stacey Howard and Adam Collins taken on the supposed goat Dan Merrill in that match for the belt. You know, I'll be watching that one keenly. Yep.
Starting point is 00:51:28 And we'll see what happens. You know, we'll see what happens. It's going to be a colossal match between two dudes who share flannels. And I appreciate. to stay appreciate what we're going to see between the both of those gentlemen uh it's going to be a lot of fun but certainly kevin smith if he handles his business here against stacey is kevin smith possibly going to get a shot down the road at the title who knows kevin smith fighting for the title
Starting point is 00:51:53 of the schmodeown uh movie trivia singles movie trivia smotech showdown championship would be incredible so we shall see that's coming up in april don't forget the free-for-all happening this weekend am i correct on that alex the free for all no that's going to be on April 24th. Oh, April 24th. It's a month, but your month out. Four weeks away. There's a lot happening. There's a lot happening. There is. No, all the matches you just listed are so exciting. I'm so looking forward to the Stacey Kevin Smith match. That will be absolutely really great. What do we have this week?
Starting point is 00:52:26 This week today we have for patrons, we have Paige for Breddy against Peggy Guppens in a singles match. I love Peggy. I'm looking forward to that. Yeah. Great. And for everyone who's not a patron, well, that'll be dropping on Wednesday. On Thursday, we have Alex Damon versus the Barbarian in an inner geekdom match. Finstock Exchange! We are stomping! We're like Godzilla versus Kong up in here.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Let's go, Barbarian. All right, what else is next? We got Tyrese gives him kicking my ass. And who's the fifth? Wait, what's the other match? And then on Friday, we have a team's number one contender match between Shazam and Final Exam. Wow. Who wins the Battle of the Rhymers?
Starting point is 00:53:15 I got Shazam in that one. Final Exam got lucky against us, and they've been riding high off that lucky Eddie Murphy moments. Hotel Nerd donated $20. Off topic, but him so happy got to share, I proposed, and she said yes. Oh, yes. 22,22222 can't get here soon enough. 22, 2022. Hey.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Postal worker donated $20. Thank you. Did you hear about the NHL ref getting caught on a live mic? They fired him for what he said. Yes. No, what happened? Oh, I heard about this. Yeah, this happened in the NHL a few days ago.
Starting point is 00:53:55 I think it was a Nashville Predators game, if I remember correctly. but a ref was fired for saying that he wanted to give a penalty to the team. And he was explaining, it was Tim Peel. By the way, this ref was retiring this year. So talk about DGAF. He was a veteran, NHL official was fired Wednesday morning. He was caught during a live broadcast explaining his decision to blow down a makeup call against the
Starting point is 00:54:30 matchful predators during their contents against the Detroit Red Wings the other night. So he said that he was just he was trying to like make it up. So of course, you know, that's just taboo. You don't say that you're doing a makeup call. We all know what happens in sports, but you never expect the referee to full on admit that he is making a makeup call. So that was the big deal there. And they ended up firing him.
Starting point is 00:54:53 Yeah. What do you mean we all know what happened in sports? Like I am so gullible. I hate how much. I believe in the human spirit to be good and to do right. Are you telling me that there's some conspiracy with refs that sway? I mean, you see it with the teams like with Tom Brady and the football and whatever. But like, is this serious?
Starting point is 00:55:18 Well, I mean, you look at the situation. Yeah, it is serious. I mean, if you watch sports long, if you know some refs, when they call kind of a questionable call on one side or kind of a tiki-tack foul, They'll call another foul on the other side quickly afterwards to kind of balance the scales and that's what was going on here Peel peels the mike caught him saying that he wanted to quote he wanted to get an early penalty Against the Nashville Predators after he made a marginal tripping call 446 into the second period I guess so he was trying to kind of balance things out so
Starting point is 00:55:51 That's why he called it so it wasn't warranted but you don't admit that kind of stuff No feels like you're kind of putting your kind of finger on the scale of the game so that yeah it's also just being like i'm not very good at my job because i made that mistake and now i have to make up for her by being even worse at my job yeah that's fair that's fair and you don't want to admit it for god's six yeah all right uh where's alex is he gone oh but also we remember that the first class league is starting tomorrow oh it's going to be really really exciting day i'm yeah excited to be calling the match with brad Gilmore so don't make sure you don't know all right all right that's the you and Brad doing it
Starting point is 00:56:34 are you excited like what's the kind of prep that you've been doing for the FCL Stephanie because these are these are people that are not well that well known they don't have a lot of matches under their belts in any of the leagues so have you been exploring the fan league of the family league matches that they've been in to get some information totally yeah I mean it's cool I love the underdogs and like people who aren't as known because There's just so much opportunity there. But yeah, I have been. And seeing what little introduction I can of each player has been really exciting.
Starting point is 00:57:05 But in terms of prep, Brad's been so awesome about making sure everything's organized. We did a tech run with Dwayne and the entire team. And it looks so sick, like all the graphics and everything. And we've just been, we have an outline and we went back and forth to just, because we've never hosted together. So we're like building this rapport and then talking about the players, researching the players. So the entire squad is really. excited about it and I think everyone participating in the first class league is really excited about it.
Starting point is 00:57:32 So I think it's going to be highly competitive, uh, league and a lot of fun. Yeah, I love it. I love it. Looking forward to it. Um, let's take a quick, uh, detour here. Alex, do you have this breaking news or do you need me to read it? I do have the breaking news. I assume we're talking about the same thing. I hope so. Russell Crow will be in Thor, love and thunder. Uh, yeah, if you can see my background behind here, I saw this photo yesterday. I completely forgot about it yeah he was uh just hanging out in australia with the chris hemsworth they went to a rugby game and everything but of course we don't know who he's going to be playing but uh he will the fact that he
Starting point is 00:58:09 will be in it uh is pretty pretty cool uh he looks kind of like uh odin e with his beard but who knows if he's shot at scenes or not but uh yeah what do you think of the casting you're okay oh this is great what are you talking about another ozzy in the mix i'm all for it and russle crow look i know there's troubles some troubling stuff in the past just you know Just don't piss him off. You won't get a phone throwing at your face. You've got to be chill around Russell Crow for God's sakes. But no, I love it.
Starting point is 00:58:36 I love Russell. And as long as he doesn't sing, I'm a thousand percent of fire. And I hope he's, I hope he kicks ass in that movie. It'll be a lot of fun to see. But wait, you know, which one is Russell? Is that the guy with the beard? Yeah. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Papa Noel. What's Santa Claus? That's not Russell. Right. Look at that. He might be playing a younger Odin or Odin-esque or maybe Odin brother. Maybe Noah.
Starting point is 00:59:00 Who knows? Noah, too. The return. Moses. Second wave. Yeah, that's his face there. So they're not saying what he's playing. But all right.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Brett is a fellow bearded man who made to grow a thing like that. Your thoughts on Russell Crowe, man. Wow, that's a beard. That's my thoughts. Wow. Yeah, I mean, like you said, like, you know, as long as you don't make him mad, everything doesn't sing, I'm down.
Starting point is 00:59:28 Don't get, you know, if he doesn't react to this movie like Ryan reacted to Transformers, I think everything is going to be just fine. Yeah. As he's wearing a branded jacket, he's very angry. But they're not saying who he is. We're just speculating right now, right? Yeah, they're not saying who he is. No, they haven't mentioned who he might be.
Starting point is 00:59:51 Steph, any thoughts? What do you feel about Russell Crow joining this crew? I think that's fun. I think a Russell Crow directed by. Tyco, Waititi can be a really fun opportunity to see why his character could be. I assume it would be, I could definitely see him playing a comedic role in the film, which could be fun, fun to watch him, especially if he keeps that beard. I don't know how you don't make that comedy.
Starting point is 01:00:15 But I'm excited about it. That's fun news. I love hearing casting news, especially with old familiar faces. I'm not as knowledgeable on the Jane Foster story. I know that the St. St. St. Foster story with her and Thor, obviously, but could he be playing her dad? Is that a possibility? Do we hear the dad? Oh. Could he be playing Natalie Portman's dad in this one? What do you guys think? Yeah. I'm not familiar with the story either, but that would make sense as a potential opportunity. I would have to look further into it. Yeah, yeah. What do you think, Ryan? Are you excited about this?
Starting point is 01:00:52 Oh, he's top five favorite actors of mine. I love Russell Crow. I think he's phenomenal. And, you know, as of late, he's been doing a lot of supporting roles with the exception of that Showtime series, where he was, I think, Roger Ailes. And then, but he's been directing, too, a lot. And I'm kind of psych to see he's in this. You know, he was a supporting role in DC universe as Jorrell. Right.
Starting point is 01:01:16 So this is cool that he's kind of crossing over to the Marvel universe, like a lot of actors tend to do. I think in Tyca, we trust Australian actor. you know, I think this would be hilarious if he's in part of like the recreation stage play that apparently might be in this. Oh, that's playing Odin in the recreation stage play.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Sam Neal already now. Oh, same? Oh, okay. All right. So I think this is great. And we know we can do comedy because I've been wanting another nice guy sequel or TV show ever since that movie came out. And he can, he just has such a range.
Starting point is 01:01:52 And by the way, in case I ever interview him, He can sing. If you watch, there was a great black and white video that dropped right into the beginning of COVID last year, where he did it virtually with another great Broadway singer or musical theater singer. And they had an incredible back and forth. I re-tweeted it. And I was like, why did you do that in Les Miserables, Rob? Because that's incredible. So, yeah. He's badly directed. Yeah, I don't want him punching me if I show him. Yeah. I took back what I said to. I would just say. what, Russell, I was just saying what he said. I wasn't agreeing with him. Hey, you're going to go on that show. I'm going to fucking kill you.
Starting point is 01:02:34 Come here, Brett. Come here. All right, anyway. I'm staying in the chat, like they're suggesting, like, he could be playing the Grandmaster in the play version. That'd be pretty fun because, you know, Melissa McCarthy will be hella in there.
Starting point is 01:02:53 So that be pretty fun. I wonder if he'll be a voice role could be like a Beta Raid Bill since we've been all waiting for him to show up that'd be pretty interesting if that joke he is the casting man that gravitas So now Melissa McCarthy
Starting point is 01:03:10 The musical version Yeah musical version Yes So Melissa McCarthy is now in the DTU and Marvel right? Yeah MCU that's cool Way to go Melissa Oh gosh
Starting point is 01:03:24 That's dope. Wait, where is she in D.C.? Am I miss? Wait, isn't the movie that a lot of people hated D.C.? The one with, yeah. Which one? Kitchen. Oh, the kitchen.
Starting point is 01:03:36 It's a D.C. It's a D.C. It's not in the D.C. Oh, it's not D.C. Okay. It's not considered. Yeah, now that's D. Come on, Steph.
Starting point is 01:03:45 Yeah, my bad. My bad. Let me just, yeah, I should be maimed. Like, Anna-Kin. Oh, here goes the chat. Oh, Steph is so beautiful. Steph is so smart. Steph is so knowledge.
Starting point is 01:03:56 God, they still don't even attack her. Gee, it's your chance. Yeah, come on. Oh, man, if Roka would have said it. Oh. Good, nice. Tammy isn't in the DCU stuff. Oh, what?
Starting point is 01:04:13 Listen, Tammy should be in the DCU. They knew any better. That was good. I did enjoy Tammy. No, they should like the one where she did. HV.R. Melissa McCarthy HVR remember that SNL sketch nothing beat her as Sean Spence like rolling down the street in her
Starting point is 01:04:32 oh my god spicer yeah by sir that's it spice to yeah anyway all right where are we at uh right we have 400 something where we at right now oh three and four hundred dollars come on people we're a hundred bucks away from the 500 let's at least get to the 500 we talk star wars we talk transformers talking thor love and thunder let us know what you you, what you think about all these stories and what you think is happening with these actors and with these, these casts and who characters they might be playing, send in your stream labs, Super Chats,
Starting point is 01:05:03 and Shmobots as we go into our second hour here. Alex, what is next? If you don't mind, let's go to Stream Labs. We got a bit to catch up on from Friday as well. You answer for, I'm going to grab a drink real quick. Sure. No. I'll be back.
Starting point is 01:05:19 Oh, no, he's gone. What do we do? What are we do? Play the music. You can't stop the show. Thank you so much for coming on SCN Live today. Shout out to Transformers and Tyrese Gibson. I'm going to keep running it up.
Starting point is 01:05:36 And thank you guys again for tuning in to SCM Live. Again, check out Dan Merles. All of my movies, Wednesdays at 4 p.m. Pacific. Check it out. Peace. Ryan just goes with them. I love it. Yeah, that one, that was like a,
Starting point is 01:05:54 15 second bit, right? Way to work. I know. I really committed to it. I'm committed. We're like no longer on air and he's like, no, I actually committed to that. I'm off there. Yeah, Steph, so I'm going to hop on stereo. Brett. Oh, you got to make a new one because we're a minute over. Alex, can you please take him out of this?
Starting point is 01:06:15 What's the next story, Alex? Okay, let's do some stream labs, guys and gals. Sounds good. Yes. Tiffany F says, Tiffany F says, Andrew Garfield and Pete Davidson. I'm so curious about who's left on Sabrina's list and who is on everyone else's list.
Starting point is 01:06:31 Who's going and who's pool? What was her? So, Steph, uh, Sabrina, huh? What's the T? Sabrina said Andrew Garfield and Pete Davidson are on her list of, uh, you know, the whole pass list. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:49 So who's on your, do you have a list? Who's going to be swimming in your pool? Uh, just in life. In life. Um, wow. Can I have a few seconds? You know, when you just, oh, okay, John Boyega. Um, that for sure.
Starting point is 01:07:06 I think Robert Pattinson could come along to. Oh, Stephen Yun. Yes. Um, yeah, I'll think of more. More like Stephen Young. Yeah. Yeah. Steven Yon.
Starting point is 01:07:23 Invincible is. So good. Yeah. And then Chris, all the Hemsworths can come to. Raul Koli can come. I'm getting all the United Nations in there. Notice that I'm not discriminating. K. Beck and sell.
Starting point is 01:07:53 That's mona-mire. Yes. Sexy vampire. Yes. Oh, I love those. I love those movie. I own you. I own those.
Starting point is 01:08:05 I think what going back to... Underworld movies? Yeah, going back to practical, like, effects with that and not a lot of CGI. I loved it. I loved that. That's one of the few things I watch, like, the behind-the-scenes thing in, where they talked about how a lot of people wear glasses when they shoot, they wear shades when they shoot guns, because
Starting point is 01:08:23 they blink because of it and she didn't because she's that fucking cool. Whoa. I love that fact. Maybe it's a made up fact that I just came up with my head but believe it. It's been a while. It's been a while. Sounds right. She's right behind me, isn't she?
Starting point is 01:08:41 Damn it. Not her. One of the girls I dated many, many years ago, she's now one of the headwriters over there at the James Gordon at their show. Was it a lead show over there on CBS? We only dated for like two, three months, but became good friends.
Starting point is 01:08:56 We would, every time, even after we broke up, every time an underworld came out, we went and saw it together because we're the only people that we knew that we were into those movies. So we would just go. And we wouldn't even see each other for a year and just go see it together for that night. It was great. That's cool. You either love them or you don't.
Starting point is 01:09:14 I was on Mark's show on Rotten Tomatoes is wrong, defending Underworld because it has a third, incredibly low percentage by rotten tomatoes. But the people who love, it's made, it's a box office success if there was one. You know, it's made tons of money for the budget that it was working with. And people, you just, you have to know what you're watching. And if you do, then you love it. Yeah, agreed.
Starting point is 01:09:41 Agreed for sure. Also, leather. Like, are you going to complain about leather and vampires? Like, you have no soul? I wasn't going to go there. Kate. Okay. That's a compliment.
Starting point is 01:09:52 I'll take it. About Kate. Who are you? Sabrina. No, we got. Just time, Sabrina.
Starting point is 01:09:59 Oh, my God. Yeah. Leather pants are definitely, I actually had squad goals of my own to be able to wear leather pants like, like Jim Morrison. But those goals are slowly, no, rapidly, rapidly, rapidly going away. I don't think I'll ever get to leather pants mode myself. But we'll see. 2021.
Starting point is 01:10:24 Look it up. If we make $10,000, we will get a runway show of Brett in just leather. Just. Done and done. Hight leather. Like that idea. Ryan, you got anyone on your list? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:39 What was the question? What was the question? Basically, what's your whole pass list? Oh, okay. How much time do you have? Good. Chloe Grace Martin's got to eat. You need some water?
Starting point is 01:10:51 Those are my two. Who? Chloe, Chloe Grace Morettson, Leah Lewis. To be fair, my girlfriend and I have not had this conversation. However,
Starting point is 01:11:02 because I know Idris Elba is number one on her pastes. Good taste. When we watched the Thor movie a couple weeks ago, she was a puddle for two hours. And he isn't even in it that much, but every time he showed up, he barely speaks. He stands like this the entire time.
Starting point is 01:11:20 Yeah. I think he's a ring to him. You go, call love. My, my, my, I think Rachel McCatabes is definitely, I would put on my lists. I have such a thing for her. It's, it's unstoppable. Rachel Weiss, I think, as well is on the list. Yeah, maybe, I think those are the top two.
Starting point is 01:11:41 Those top two. Solid. And maybe Sasha Banks, that's a separate conversation. Anyway, all right. Yeah, probably me, like, of course, Caitlin Dever. Yes Haley Steinfeld Bailey Steinfeld
Starting point is 01:11:54 Wait a minute, wait a minute What? Caitlin Deaver's who you want Right You actually want to date her I don't want to date Rachel McCams You like want to date
Starting point is 01:12:02 Caitlin Deep Yeah I don't want to date Any of the people I do The two people I don't know Basically if you're like Pale and blonde
Starting point is 01:12:12 Hit me up on Tinder Tender.com slash Alex Marzonia Age A Sending and aside Are people like that. Not even a shot.
Starting point is 01:12:23 Not even a shot. In the world. Oh, man. I think it's a ploy, Steph. I think he's trying to, you're like, he doesn't, he's not into Andrew. Oh, okay. Now he's more desirable.
Starting point is 01:12:37 Yeah, wow. Convinced me. For a man who sings Hamilton, you are throwing away your shot. Oh, fair enough. No, it's good. Zone in, zone. vote this on what you want.
Starting point is 01:12:53 He's only going to be in the room when it happens if she's pale and boom. Ah! Get it, Roca. Careful, she might have a husband. She might have a husband there. Oh, my God. Very good, John.
Starting point is 01:13:07 Get a little money. All right, what's our next one, Alex? Let's keep reading. This is another one from Friday. Popcorn says, Hi, Alex and Jamal. Are there any other online film festivals going on that you two or Sabrina will be attending?
Starting point is 01:13:19 Thanks. Have a good day. I actually did look up a few festivals that are going on but I don't think there's any major ones coming up that are exclusively online unfortunately like New York Film Festival that's that moved to
Starting point is 01:13:33 September I believe and it they're still not sure if they're doing in person yet because it's still far away the Tribeca one also will be hybrid I believe they just announced I'm not sure but anyways nothing in the near future for me Berlin is the only one I know
Starting point is 01:13:51 I know they just had it for like Like press and some people, but I know they're going to have one for the public that's online in June and that's it Wow Didn't know back in June Ryan you can come back and check on us I would love to Oh perhaps Ryan if you put your house right Yes
Starting point is 01:14:10 I will No guarantee Ryan's no no funny stuff No takebacks do you want some strudel All right where are we going next Stinka! Stinka! PLD says, Awesome content.
Starting point is 01:14:26 Love seeing you guys geeking out about stuff always. Thank you. Thank you, PLD. Thank you. Pac-Man Dwayne, donates. All right, yes, go ahead. Is it what? Pac-Man Dwayne said what now?
Starting point is 01:14:37 Donates and doesn't say anything, so thank you very much, Pac-Man. Dwayne. Pussy O'Connell says, hello. Watch the S-E-N awards. Was bummed because the greatest and most moist Pussy didn't get nominated. Yep.
Starting point is 01:14:49 Huge snub. It's okay. Me and Christian, me and Christians rant about the awards, we'll get it next year. Rooka, do you agree that we've had better bits than the three Ben nominations?
Starting point is 01:14:59 Jamal, thank you, man. What am I agreeing to again? Were there better bits and rants than the Ben rants? Oh, listen, I can't speculate on what the fans enjoyed. So if the fans enjoyed it, can't say they were better, you know, in my opinion, with these awards. I don't really believe in a,
Starting point is 01:15:19 award shows much anymore. So I'm like, if it's, it's fun to celebrate stuff. So it's great. So if you didn't, if yours wasn't nominated, you know where it's nominated in your heart and in your mind. And that's where it belongs. And you know it's the best. Wait, I one time had recently had a high thought where I was thinking about yeah, meta. Get ready. Buckle up. Let's go to space. So I was thinking how, how I had a moment where I agreed with you, Roker, where I'm like, Awards just don't matter anymore. Like, they don't really mean anything. They're not representative.
Starting point is 01:15:52 And I think that they haven't been representative, but I do think that they matter because they're kind of like a map to the past years of films. When we're looking in date, yeah, when you're looking up stuff like when I'm looking up the best movies in the 70s, I'm looking at what got awards. So they're like taking away the opportunity for people to find like the treasure in their maps. So they do matter. because that's the only way we're going to be finding out things moving forward when we're looking back.
Starting point is 01:16:23 I think you make an excellent. I never said that they shouldn't exist, right? To me, at this stage in my life, they don't matter because I know where to go find good, good, you know, I know what reviewers or what magazines or what sites to go look at that are ranking movies that will get me to look at new projects, new films or what have you. As you're starting out, absolutely. The award shows, the previous Oscar winners, previous Golden Gloves. winners previous sag winners that's a great blueprint or guideline as you said a yellow brick road
Starting point is 01:16:53 to find all the emeralds that you want to find there as you're developing your taste and your knowledge of movies absolutely so yes you're you're so right in that donated 36 dollars donated 37 dollars donated 38 dollars donated 39 dollars donated 40 this again donated 41 dollars donated 42 dollars donated 43 dollars donated 40 dollars donated $35 inhale donated $46 donated $47 donated $48
Starting point is 01:17:25 donated $49 donated $50 well done you don't what did he donate 37 dollars donated $40 $40
Starting point is 01:17:39 Wow that was I can't do that I can't do that math I don't know which one was the name and which one was the thing for all you donated you're still $13 short of 50 you could have got an impression of that oh well all right what's our next thing Alex all right our next stream lab is right here and I got it right for you broca it's uh
Starting point is 01:18:05 luckless at the Oscars congrats to the winners of SCN awards some iffy noms but overall it was nice Jamal I'm a break your ball since you're leaving your sixers can't win the east now with the net's new player how are you going to beat them roka thoughts on the nets jemal thanks and we will miss you uh yeah i'll be talking about it today game time at 2 pm on the out of nation channel with j winston and j tc e certainly lamarcus alders going to the nets huge but uh the lakers went and got andre drummond's so the arms battle continues the old war uh is going to happen it's and it seems like these two teams are the teams heading towards the finals the nuggets picked up erin gordon but don't know if that's enough to put them over the line against the Lakers once,
Starting point is 01:18:49 Anthony Davis and LeBron comes back. But picking up Lamarcus Alders is going to be a damn good score, especially because Durant goes out, Kyrie goes out, Hardin goes out. They all take like four or five games off through the whole season. You need somebody to pick up the scoring slack, and Lamarcus can do that even at 35 years old. So, yeah, I like it. He's wearing black and silver again, just like you did in San Antonio.
Starting point is 01:19:13 Yeah. George Hill. John Rokoh. The Sixers have George Hill. It's called depth, ladies and gentlemen. You can have an amazing starting five, and I'm not going to argue that other way. The Nets do, and it is amazing.
Starting point is 01:19:29 It is better than the Sixers starting five, but they don't have depth. And one injury, it's true. God forbid. You can't overlook the seven and a half points George Hill has been averaging this year. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:19:40 Doesn't matter how you come. It matters how hard you come, right? Hello. Hello. That's what we learned. God bless us. That's what we learned. All right.
Starting point is 01:19:51 All right. Next. Postal workers says just got done watching the geek buddies review of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Broca, I enjoy your reviews and debate you guys have on the geek buddies. I love all you guys.
Starting point is 01:20:02 And thanks for the entertainment. Well, thank you. We're very proud of the reviews we do there. Yeah, Kalinowski is joining us for the Falcon and Winter Soldier reviews. And Loki's coming up. And hopefully we will get some, we've got, we're going to be going out to somebody today. And hopefully they will be willing to come back to do the reviews with us.
Starting point is 01:20:23 We shall see. Hating Christensen? Yes, Hayden Christensen is coming back. With his bullfant hair. Yes. I'm going to stroke it as he talks about it. You know, Ryan, you could cosplay as Hayden Christians. I think I could too.
Starting point is 01:20:39 Especially in this film he did. Yeah, yeah. A little Italy is a film he did. no one saw and it came out a year ago. I watched it. And yeah, he is a crazy, crazy hair in that. But I've always loved Hayden. He's like that child, you know, as a kid.
Starting point is 01:20:54 Get the braid, you coward. Get that the rat tail? The rat tail braid. Got it. Or else you're not a fan. For $600, we'll start. We'll braid Ryan's hair. Gosh.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Shattered Glass is a great movie you need to see from Hayden, Christensen. You haven't seen Shep. You haven't seen Shattered Glass. That is fucking phenomenal movie, man. Jumper, right? Oh, yeah, Jumper's good, too. I love Jumper. But Shatterr's about the real-life story of the guy who forged that article to Wired and got himself found out,
Starting point is 01:21:27 and how he tried to avoid getting caught. It's a heck of a movie, man. All right. What are we next to do? He's a good actor. You should stop Hayden. Rashad Hury says, Roka, did you watch the Netflix Transformer Show?
Starting point is 01:21:41 Fox. So let's talk about real quick. I tried to watch it. I don't think I'm the demographic for what they were going for in that show. So I eventually tuned out. I aged out of that show. Let me just say aged out of that show after the first couple episodes. But they're not a bad show if you're trying to get into the Transformers lore.
Starting point is 01:22:06 Great voice of work by everyone involved. So I'm not going to bash it for sure. But there's the second season I think that came out of this while coming out. So yeah. Anybody else? Never, didn't even know they had a show on Netflix. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:17 I don't know. Sorry to this man. I don't know this. I am sorry to you. I apologize. To this man. I apologize. Is that?
Starting point is 01:22:30 Is that how you answer all your DMs? Yes. Sorry to just like, uh, sorry. Nice try. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry to this man.
Starting point is 01:22:41 I, I, um, a thing that plagues woman. kind is apologizing and I stopped doing that a few years ago. Because unless I'm really sorry, I have no problem when I mess up saying sorry, but I have zero sympathy for me not being interested in you. Like that's so chaotic to think everyone's interested in everyone. And that is a wonderful lesson for everyone out there. But still try with $50 Schmobots, right? Yes, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:23:09 Yes. It's not going to happen. Money talks. Money talks. Money talk. He knows. All right. JP donated $20.
Starting point is 01:23:21 Oh, hello. Thank you, JP. Do you all think with the themes explored in Wondervision and Falcon and Winter Soldier, there will be a heavy theme for Loki? Hashtag Fart Up. Oh. I'd be surprised if there's a heavy thing for Loki, but that being said, remember in Thor Dark World, he has a very strong connection to the loss of his mom.
Starting point is 01:23:44 Totally. So who knows? if that will be something because all these shows are dealing with loss at some level, right? The loss of vision, the loss of Captain America and possibly in Loki, the loss of his mom and how that affects him. So possibly. What do you say, I think, I think if they don't and they go more of the comedic route, that's okay. But I think there's a massive opportunity if they do because the loss of his mom, you know, the abandonment issues that he's been dealing with the thought that he's never good enough, the competition with his brother.
Starting point is 01:24:21 There's a reason why a lot of people feel for Loki because they, they, he's an underdog in a lot of ways. And he is his own worst enemy, but that's a lot of people who have a few bad things happen to them. And then they become the villain of their own story. So I think they could definitely explore a lot of that, which other characters don't have that same experience of abandonment and, um, thinking that you're not good enough. Yeah. It's like, Dan Merle, he turned evil after I left him. Yeah, this Loki doesn't, hasn't lost his mom yet, because it takes place right for it. Oh, right.
Starting point is 01:24:55 Oh, yeah. So, I mean, it'll still probably revolve around family. Yeah, yeah. It's still going to be a therapy scene in it. But I mean, like, but yeah, family, I think learning to live with mistakes, like, because he's going to, you know, go into different realities. He's like he can't change everything he wants. Wait, wait. What do you mean it?
Starting point is 01:25:18 This is the first character, John, that since endgame, like, it's one that died who came back not from the snap. It's just from another timeline. Right. But isn't this during Winter Soldier and hasn't his mom died, winter soldier, but when Winter Soldier happens? Because this is the Loki after Avengers. Yeah, during, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:38 Yeah, that's right. Oh. 2012 Avengers. I thought it was connected to the Tesseract Loki when he. took the Tesseract and was able to go jump aboard. We're not going to happen. That takes place and the Avengers. The mom dies right after that.
Starting point is 01:25:52 He got the Tessract in Avengers. Robert Redford is in that sequence, right? That's Winter's sold. No, no, no, no. He just shows up, yeah. You're right. Coming down the elevator. I'm on the elevator from the event.
Starting point is 01:26:03 Yeah. I'm good now. I'm in now. I know, John, I was in the same footing as you. And now I feel like I'm reoriented. Yeah. It's just for chat. So I actually don't.
Starting point is 01:26:13 I don't think that. they will explore. I actually don't think they're going to explore the more serious tones then. Oh. That much. They might do a little bit, but I really think it's going to be his mischief. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:26:25 and that's a good point because we'll take a little bit of a break and have some fun with that. And then jump into like Hawkeye, which is certainly going to be a kind of a, I don't know, a little more of a deeper show and then jumping into Moon Night and Miss Marvel will be happier, it seems like.
Starting point is 01:26:40 And then other shows. So yeah, definitely. Good balance, certainly. So yeah, we'll see. All right, let's go. What's next? Yeah, this is before Loki loses his mom, Roku. Just, sir, you're reminded. I'm going to shave the rest of your hair off.
Starting point is 01:26:53 I'm going to shave the rest of your hair. Go ahead. The dog clippers. He's tweezers, so I'm taking it up by the root. Go ahead. Biological mom or not by, or not? Oh, my. So confusing.
Starting point is 01:27:06 I'm going to wrap my legs around your waist and keep your arms to your side. I'm going, huh. Huh. Anyway, all right. Let's go to next one. Oh, my goodness. I have time today. Inappropriate gay dude says, hi, Roka.
Starting point is 01:27:25 You make Mondays manageable. Love the hair, Alex. Thank you. You're looking so fresh and so clean for spring. MCU questions. Would Black Widow have joined the billion dollar club without COVID? Who's the next big bad? I think so.
Starting point is 01:27:40 I don't think so. No, no. Unfortunately, I just don't think that the box office has proven to show up when there's a woman-led superyro comic book movie film. But yeah, I think it would have done numbers for sure. And I still think it will do numbers because we're getting the theatrical and Disney Plus released. I think you're absolutely right, Steph, because Blackwood is just taking care of this. Hotel nerd donated $20. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:28:09 Looking is roachous newbie spin-law. I think even Brett had that answer judging by his physical reaction to Rocha's confusion. What? Can you read that to me? Looking is Roca's new best bit. I think even Brett had that answer judging by his physical reaction to Roca's confusion.
Starting point is 01:28:27 I think he meant Loki is Roca's new news. Oh. I was just trying to be involved. I didn't know what you were talking about. As I've said many times, I hate hotel nerd, but I love his brother Motel Geek. That's my guy.
Starting point is 01:28:41 The hotel geeks my guy. Hotel nerd can kiss the left cheek. Left cheek, left cheek. Captain Marvel made a billion, though. It did, but it's a different situation. Well, the star is not, doesn't have, Brie Larson doesn't have the same cachet as Scarlett Johansson.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Right, but that's a new character we were discovering for the first time in the Marvel universe fully. Whereas Black Widow, we've had multiple movies with her in it. And she's more of a spy, so it's more like a secret, like kind of covert type of thing. Those movies don't necessarily make a lot of money. I still think it would have made money. There's no doubt about it.
Starting point is 01:29:17 Martian Man Bear Pig donated $20. Roker stopped slipping up before I come for that unicorn. Honestly, guys, it was really confusing. I don't think it was that. I have to explain this to everyone I know every day. I'm a hard time keeping up. Because everything... She made half of Bill doing Lucy, and that's not MCU.
Starting point is 01:29:40 So she made half a million doing Lucy But that's Luke by song And that's international, right? Yeah, I think I would have liked to think it would have But maybe it would have like 800 I just don't know It's not, listen, this is not a bashing on Black Widow And not a bashing on Scarlet Johansson
Starting point is 01:29:56 Of course, is an very accomplished actress I think it's more that people's interest in Black Widow Is it at the level that it is for other movies? Look, none of those standalones, I think, made a billion dollars when they first came out And this one now in this point, I don't know if people were clamoring as strongly for a Black Widow movie necessarily 10 years later. Do you know what I'm saying? So I don't know if it would have crossed a billion dollars.
Starting point is 01:30:21 I agree with Steph on that. But yeah, go ahead. I'm sorry. Alex, go ahead. You were going to say? I mean, it didn't before, like they didn't cross a billion because that wasn't kind of the standard at the time. And now, like, I don't think they've had a non-billion-dollar movies since at least, I don't know, Guardians two. maybe if not earlier than that
Starting point is 01:30:40 but like they've been it's the Marvel you know guarantee that something will hit a billion but we'll never know we'll never know because because COVID happened and you know
Starting point is 01:30:52 Hotel Geek donated $20 I escaped nerd Rocha Help Meenher is keeping me in an underground room in sorry about that guys Hotel Geek donated
Starting point is 01:31:06 $20 I escape I escaped nerd Roker help me Nerd is keeping me In an underground room in Fucking nerd Hotel nerd He's the worst
Starting point is 01:31:16 I'm telling you But look at Scarlett Johansson's box office here Her domestic box office Right And nothing that she was in the lead Why are they saying Black Widow $270 million?
Starting point is 01:31:31 Oh that's their estimation That it would have made 270 Yeah Lucy made 126.7 domestically. Domestically, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:39 So wow, it made a bulk international. The prestige, 53.1 million. Lawson Translation, 44.6. Ghost in the shell, 40.6. Jojo Rabbit only made 33.4. So it's like, I think I think there was a possibility it could have gone a billion, but I would have
Starting point is 01:31:57 been surprised if it did. That's what I would say overall. It's horrible. Let's move on. We spent a lot of time on that. And we lost Brett. Okay. Let's do it.
Starting point is 01:32:07 Yeah, Brad's like, I'm not interested. Jumping over to Super Chats from Friday, Haskell 420 says, thoughts on Miami, trading number three overall pick to San Francisco, but the number 12 pick, the 21 third rounder, SFC comp pick for Salé hiring, and 2022 and 2022-203 first rounders. I can't tell you my thoughts because we're going to talk about it at 2 p.m. on game time. So tune in there to hear me, Winston Jay, and J.T. talk about it. What else?
Starting point is 01:32:35 Anybody have thoughts? Do you guys have folks? The Eagles are, they got rid of their sixth round pick. And I at first was really mad about it because I feel like they gave up this future season. But who knows? Because it was a draft and an entire season that took place during COVID. So maybe the draft won't matter. But we'll see.
Starting point is 01:32:49 God. We'll be breaking down that. And Loki, the whole Loki storyline on stereo at 1205 PT, Ryan Nelson, Brett Sheridan, WDW.com slash Brett Sheridan. slash Ryan Nielsen. You could choose. Mine's a little nicer name. Nice and nicer name.
Starting point is 01:33:12 Ryan, as I've said, his days are numb. No, no. We're going to have a lot of fun. Mostly Eagles talk. And Loki. So come on in. I'm changing the hashtags. All right.
Starting point is 01:33:26 Where are we at next? Regis Edmondson says, Don't see Winston's name at the bottom. But the disrespect. Ryan, go and change that from Friday. Thank you very much. Jamie and John. Why Brando's 60s career as discussed as his 50s and 70s?
Starting point is 01:33:40 I really like reflections in a golden eye he made with Liz Taylor. What do you think about that, Roku? Brandon's 60s. Marlon Brando's 60s movies? Yeah. Why aren't they as discussed as his 50s and 70s? Oh. Because they weren't, they're not as classic.
Starting point is 01:34:03 Good. Or fantastic? Or, yeah, it's good. I mean, 60s, right? So you've got One Eye Jaxx, which is the Western. Oh, Bobbigh Johnson donated $20. Yeah. I saw a rumor about the Loki show would be him jumping around in points in history and it would be more comedic. I don't think anything is confirmed, but I think that would be a great series. You guys are great as always and make me laugh so hard. Dot keep it. Yeah, there you go. If you look at Brando, Reflexicalize a good one, but the Appaloosa is not that great of a Western moratories where the Chase is good.
Starting point is 01:34:34 good. The ugly Americans not good. Mutiny on the bounty. That's okay. Mr. Christian. But then the candy's like a soft core porn in the late 60s that he did. It was really weird. And then Byrne, Burns kind of a good film, but none of them are classics. That's why nobody talks about the 60s for Brandon. And that's why Coppola had to fight to get him on to Godfather, the Godfather, because nobody trusted he could bring the box office anymore after a decade of not doing so well. And it, let's go forward. Jim and John says, Ryan, what exactly is the anti-life equation? Ryan? What's the anti-life equation? Oh, no, he asked Ryan. Ryan's going to answer this. It's what Steph said the other week.
Starting point is 01:35:16 It's moisturized after the shower. Yes, yes. Yoga, shower, moisturize. I brush before, if you're nasty, then shower and then moisturize your entire body. And then if it's before bed, just slip into the covers. let the coldness like radiate on your body and you'll be like oh this is what it's like to be a super say it's not moving your eyebrows and listening to SCN live so you guys make sure you're subscribe what's next that's like crushing bird thank you I'm just kidding it's getting supported
Starting point is 01:35:53 all right super chats from today's jamming John says okay which of these richard Donner greatest fits do you think works as remakes or shouldn't be remade. Goonies, Scrooog, Ladyhawk, and Maverick. Well, we know how Roka feels about Goonies. I would remake Go ahead. Go ahead. What are the other ones?
Starting point is 01:36:17 Oh, Maverick, no one wants us to remake of a TV show anyway. Scrooge. I don't... Scrooge, I don't know if anybody knows this, but Scrooge is a remake. Hotel nerd donated $20. Thoughts on NFL wanting to go 17 games? My understanding is that they want to take final preseason game and make that week one.
Starting point is 01:36:45 Players are bitching, but they don't necessarily have to play every game, so I'm confused what the problem is. Wait, what do you mean they don't necessarily have to play every game? You don't play, you don't get paid. That's how it works, son. Unless you're injured, they absolutely will have to play those games. Yeah. And there's already 17 weeks.
Starting point is 01:37:04 It's just every team has a buy week. So you're only playing 16 games. But I don't know. I like more football. And they're getting paid so darn much. Yeah, but to die? I don't know, man. I mean, that's the thing.
Starting point is 01:37:16 You take that last preseason game off. That's for the third and fourth string players to see if they should be kept on the team. You start to play those full-time players in a full-time game. You're risking even more injury to these stars. I don't get the end. NFL in that logic. That's a little confusing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:36 Next. Jim John says best actress. Brigitte Bardot or Catherine de Nouve? Somebody else chime in on this. Visibah Hupera. I've only seen one of each, so I'll say Catherine De Nouve. Who was the first? I don't even...
Starting point is 01:37:52 Brigitte Bardo. Oh. French New Wave Actors. I don't have the knowledge or wherewithal to even... Well, then I'll say Catherine Deneu for sure. She was able to jump between multiple premier international directors and produce some great work as an actress. Virgin Bartow, certainly a good actress, but not. The new of his next level, ladies and gentlemen.
Starting point is 01:38:13 All right, let's keep going. Raleigh of Sherborg, shout outs. T.J. Langlois, 1989, says, I don't give two books about Obi-Wan or Transformers. Scrap them both and give us something new. Thank you for that, T.J. Jamie and John. Okay. James John says Stephanie, you almost look like Tyler Durdon during that chemical burn scene and fight club.
Starting point is 01:38:40 Insolination film. Sorry, a hot take on that movie. Oh! Oh, she said it. I mean, if I can look like Brad Pitt, fuck yeah, in any form. Give it to me. Yeah. Jamie and John also has Brett thoughts on Pete's Dragon, 1977.
Starting point is 01:38:58 Oh, yeah, I think they're just trying to. bring up the fact that I cried about this movie all the time. So, yeah. The newer one didn't hit. I think I also saw it pop up. Maybe that's coming up later. I don't want to jump the gun. But, yeah, the newer one didn't really do it for me because it really, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:39:16 I have a deep love for Elliot. No, is it Elliot? Yeah. Elliot. I'm saying it is an E.T. way, but his name is Elliot. Yeah. The dragon is Elliot. I thought it was P.
Starting point is 01:39:29 Yeah. Oh, pop, blah, blah, blah. I love you too. I just wanted good parents. Oh. All right. Those people that adopted him were horrible. Horrible.
Starting point is 01:39:47 Let's keep going. Curfside Prophet says, I wanted to ask if y'all had checked out the new Mighty Ducks show Game Changers on Disney Plus. Oh, yeah. I found it pretty heartwarming, and Emilio and the kids are great. Almost a Ted Lassow for Kids fight.
Starting point is 01:40:00 to LL. That's interesting. I've had the chance of it. There's a lot of good stuff that came out this week. So I'll definitely check that out soon. I remember talking about it way back and then just popped up.
Starting point is 01:40:14 Oh yeah, that was happening. But I guess I'll give it a try. I don't know. I watched, I think I saw the first one. I wasn't like, it's not anything that I was like, man, I can't wait till I bring this back. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:29 I'm a fair. Yeah. Too much, Alex. There's too much coming, Alex. Yeah, there really is. I was looking at the schedule and I'm like, wow, something's got to give. I got to break up with my girlfriend or I got to step doing a couple of the shows I do.
Starting point is 01:40:43 It's too much to watch. Well, yeah, I feel like if it's Ted Lossow for kids, I'm good with Ted Loss, so I don't mean to watch it. But that's dope for kids. I hope they get that same experience that we did. Yeah, great. There you go. I've never seen any of the movies actually
Starting point is 01:41:00 So maybe you catch up on those first Yeah They're good Catch up on all All right go ahead I'm just a guy Playing a guy Says I rewatch Tropic Thunder
Starting point is 01:41:12 Again this weekend That movie just gets better and better That movie is so good I've never understood the complaints That have been coming out lately about Robert Robert Dunjur is making fun of actors Who go that far That's what he's doing
Starting point is 01:41:26 I'm not going to discount anybody Who's of color Who has an issue with it but it's just in my opinion that that was the joke point yeah yeah that was the whole point of it but no i haven't seen you haven't seen that one no oh i think it's my second favorite comedy really wow wow that is strong i just saw it the last time it's like it's got the nostalgic actor of like i love like movie making so it's just as funny about like the behind the scenes of making that movie making fun of like a bunch of you know like war film tropes and jack black
Starting point is 01:41:58 actors. Jack Black. Oh my gosh. I love Jack Black. I love Eddie and Martin. Yeah, I love movies filled with irony like that. Like, because Robert Downey Jr. was nominated for an Oscar for that role in Tropic Thunder. Yeah, he was.
Starting point is 01:42:17 You're right. And I actually watched a movie called California Suite, the adaptation of the Neil Simon play. And Maggie Smith won an Oscar for playing a person who was nominated for an Oscar and goes to an Oscar. and goes to the Academy Awards and all that, which is more irony. It's very interesting to see all the Hollywood machinations and everything. And that's Tenet, right? I still haven't seen it.
Starting point is 01:42:45 I don't know anything about it, but I think it's something like that. Yeah. Just explain it. It's whatever you want it to be, because it doesn't know what it is. It's the friends we made along the way. Yeah, exactly. All right, last one. for now comes from Haunted.
Starting point is 01:43:00 So I just learned the internet calls Chris Evans, Christopher Jamal Evans. I was wondering why we call Ryan Jamal. And now I've learned it's because both Ryan and Evans radiate black energy. I am black, by the way, L.O.L. And I agree. Congrats, Ryan. I... How do you feel that way?
Starting point is 01:43:16 I'm not to respond to this. Shout to Chris Evans. But Tropic Thunder is one of your favorite comedies. Did you've seen it, Seth? No, I haven't seen it because of all the, like, by the time I heard about it, I had heard about the black face and I just, I know that's, it just like made me feel uncomfortable about it and I didn't know how to go about it. And if it's like still worth watching. And I love Robert Donnie Jr. It's not like I think that he doesn't deserve, I mean, he deserves to be dragged for that for the rest of his life.
Starting point is 01:43:53 It just makes me a little bit uncomfortable. Well, they have the other black actor in the film call him out for going in blackface in the film. So they do a commentary about it in the film that he's doing that. And he's played for, he's ridiculed throughout the movie for going to that level, which is the whole point of it of how, yeah. But I get it. I mean, like I said, I won't bash him. Yeah, I mean, I'd stay away from Soul Man. I'd stay away from that one.
Starting point is 01:44:21 That one is different. Right. To me, if you're blackface and they're not commentating. on it. Yeah. I'm not like, the movie I just find really funny. I'm not like going to put on a pedestal and like defend a lot of the things they do in the movie
Starting point is 01:44:34 because at the end of a comedy like whether it's like subjective or it does offend me, but if it's offensive then I will, I definitely recognize that and but yeah it's a crazy movie and just the time it came out like holy cow there's just all these huge stars in it like
Starting point is 01:44:50 I forget Matthew McConae's in it every time. I watch it. as well as Tom Curtis. I'll watch it for research. Yeah. I'm a landfiber, motherfucker. That's the next thing. That's my paper.
Starting point is 01:45:04 That's all for now. So if you have any other topics, you want to talk about it? Where's the Modoc? Come on, you've got another topic. Come on. You've got like four other stories you didn't get to. Come on, Alex.
Starting point is 01:45:15 All right, yeah. Let me pull that up real quick. Polot. Pull it up, Polot. here. Modoc. So we have, Modoc is a Marvel character and he's getting a Hulu animated series and it's going to debut in May, on May 21st actually. And we got some high profile guest roles that have been cast. John Hamm will be doing the voice of Iron Man. Nathan Phillyen will be voicing Wonder Man, Whoopi Goldberg as Poundcakes and Bill Hater playing both Angar, the Screamer and the leader. And I believe
Starting point is 01:45:46 Pat and Oswald is playing Modoc. Yes. But also, Melissa, Fumero's in this cast. Amy Garcia, Ben Schwartz, and John Daly are all part of this cast. The trailer looked hilarious and perfect and very funny for such a weird character. I'm glad they're doing it tongue and cheek and having all these people. But the curious part of this is Nathan Fillion as Wonder Man. That's in essence kind of the introduction of Wonder Man into the modern world about since Disney and Marvel kind of came together, this is kind of an interesting opening of the door
Starting point is 01:46:25 of the characters. A lot of people felt Wonder Man was going to show up possibly in Wanda Vision. So is having Nathan voicing this character opening the door of Wonder Man appearing down the road in the MCU as an actual live action person? What do you all think?
Starting point is 01:46:40 That would be sick. That would be sick if Wonder Man showed up. Right? Simon Williams. It'd be sick. I'm really curious about this show. Because for the longest time until quite recently Marvel TV's been in this weird place where it's like, is it in the MCU? Is it not?
Starting point is 01:46:56 Agents of Shield, runaways, and then ever since Feigey kind of got control of it all, and now we have these Disney Plus shows, I've kind of, like, we all know what's happening. So this one, I feel like this is their first chance where they're trying to be like DC with how they have the Harley Quinn series on
Starting point is 01:47:13 HBO Max. It's like completely separate thing. This is now their Modoc thing. So they're doing content that's not MCU. and kind of doing that way. I love this cast. I think it's all full of talent. There's a lot of great animated superhero shows coming out these days. And this one's probably near the top of my list.
Starting point is 01:47:32 Okay. Anybody else? I read the article, but I didn't know there was, I read the article, but I didn't know there was a trailer. It was, you know, I don't know anything about it. I don't. So that's what a treat. I always love something. I don't know something about when it comes to superheroes.
Starting point is 01:47:44 So I'm down and it looks just goofy as hell. Watch that trailer You'll love it, Brett. Yeah, Modoc is such a weird character. I remember playing he was in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance game, which I played a lot as a kid. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:01 And like, this dude, just an evil dude, sitting in a chair, just hanging out all the time. So I'm curious if, like, well, this is, I wonder if AIM will even be in the MCU formal, because I know that they were kind of introduced in Iron Man 3, but maybe this is, again, like another way of introducing the organization
Starting point is 01:48:22 and seeing how that plays out with fans so they can integrate it later. It would be pretty cool. Yeah, I agree. That's good point. All right, let's go to the next story about this guy who keeps promising a book he's never written but somehow he's got into fucking deals where he's supposed to create product that's going to be out there for people to consume. Alex, give us some more information on that?
Starting point is 01:48:45 Yeah. Thrones author, George R.R. and has signed a deal to develop more programming for HBO Max. The deal spans five years and is worth more than eight figures and is already developing and executive producing two series for the network. So Roka, do you think Mr. R. R. R. will be finishing the long-weighted Song of Ice and Fire series? And will you be watching these shows that he produced? I feel like I speak for all the readers of these books. Stop signing deals to do other projects that are going to distract you from finishing the fucking book. finish the fucking book
Starting point is 01:49:17 for God's sakes I'm glad that you're doing 25 other projects with all these other people but finish the fucking books people are desperate for this last book to come out you've said you've been working on it
Starting point is 01:49:26 that's season eight stink maybe you're waiting for the season eight stink to kind of wash off of it and then you're releasing the book but damn it that thing better be done before you start working on something else people are going to lose their minds
Starting point is 01:49:37 George R. Martin is rich you'll get two shits what I think but I'm just putting it out there my opinion at the end of the day write your thing for God's sakes. People go crazy. It would be nice if he finished the books,
Starting point is 01:49:50 but I also think that maybe he just wants to put that form of storytelling on pause. And it's hard, you know, I think most of us write in here to write when you're just not in that mindset to do it. And I do think that a part of it he does owe to the fans because it's been a while. It's not like we're expecting a book in six months, you know. It's been a few years. but I get as a creator, sometimes you're just not in that that sort of creative mode. Like you're more into producing, you're more into hosting, whatever it may be.
Starting point is 01:50:22 Writing for literature, it's just such a zoned-in type of career path. Yeah, yeah, that's a fair point. Anybody else chime in on this? Are you excited about Jojo-O-Mart and producing projects and getting involved with these things? Or do you want to see him finish the book? John, you voiced my thoughts exactly. Like, just finish this book. I really need, because.
Starting point is 01:50:43 And it's almost this thing. I know he can tease a great storyteller, but can he complete a story? You know? So when he's starting all these other things, it's exciting. But I kind of want to see if he can stick the landing on the book, because I didn't really think that they suck the landing well on the show. So I can't really get excited on the stuff until that is. It's like JJ Abrams.
Starting point is 01:51:03 You only want to see the first two seasons of the show. Don't ever watch the last season of the show. You can't stick the landing. It's at most of the time. Sorry, was that car alarm that loud in the background? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, I can't.
Starting point is 01:51:14 These are good headset, I guess. Sorry, folks. Sorry, I can't control what goes on out in front of my building. You can't? No. Especially the fights, the 2 a.m. fights. And then the woman who likes to run and scream, sing at 3 in the morning. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:51:33 That's actually me, but I've been not. It's like, wow, I love your energy, but please stop. Okay. No. Not you. You keep going, Steph. I'm pretty sure this. Then I'll see you at 2 a.m. tonight.
Starting point is 01:51:49 Yes. What a feeling. I'm sorry, my God. If I can recommend a show to you guys, we discovered it over the weekend. Breeders on Hulu, on FX. For the love of God, please watch this show. What is it?
Starting point is 01:52:07 It's Martin Freeman and Daisy Hager. They're a couple in Britain, and they're raising their two kids, and they are, it is hilarious and dark and nutty. And they have people like that. Like there's a scene where these two, he's just put his seven-year-old to bed. Yeah, seven-year-old to bed is seven-year-old to bed.
Starting point is 01:52:24 He's a seven-year-old son who's such a fucking terror and exhausting put him to bed. And these two drunk guys are walking by arguing yelling at each other. And Little Martin Freeman storms out of his. He goes, I'm going to fucking kill you both. I'm killing you and then I'm killing him. I'm going to use you to kill him. And they're all like, what the fuck is? I'm not fucking joking.
Starting point is 01:52:43 And he goes, what are you like? 50? Get the fuck. 50. I'm 45. Fuck you. I'm gonna kill you both right now. It's just, it's so honest and truthful and funny at the same time.
Starting point is 01:52:52 Can't recommend it enough. It is a great show. I like it. You're missing out on some Tom Cruise gloriousness in tropic thunder, mar girl. Yeet, eat, whoop, who are you all in my face. Get back, motherfucker. You don't know me like that. Get back.
Starting point is 01:53:09 He guys might not know stuff Get back Yeah Tom Cruise He dresses up as Less Grossman And it's a version of a studio head
Starting point is 01:53:19 And he's got these thick fucking arms And he's balding Oh yeah Magnol Yeah I would love to see Tom Cruise balding
Starting point is 01:53:26 That would be I think you love this movie stuff He's so great stuff So great stuff Okay I'll watch it I did watch Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar Hilarious
Starting point is 01:53:37 Okay I loved it I'll watch it now. Now I'll watch it. It's a good time. It's a good time. We got some other streamlines that just came in. All right.
Starting point is 01:53:49 Let's go through them quick. Arthur Morgan says, so for the last couple of weeks, I've had three girls unfollow me on Instagram because I've gained weight ever since the pandemic began. I've never even hit on them or showed any interest in the slightest.
Starting point is 01:54:00 Why do some women do this? Are you sure that they unfollowed you? Like, is there any sort of evidence that puts them unfollowing you because of your weight or is it just an unfortunate coincidence that you lost i lose followers every single day everyone loses followers every single day so i if there's no proof of that i would hope that you don't put yourself in that mindset because i doubt that's it and i'm sure you look fucking fantastic the way you are oh yeah speaking of which step what are we wearing in right now i got
Starting point is 01:54:29 to check my because i do unfollow you every time you get to a yeah yeah yeah um shit right uh oh wow Send me your daily way in. And this is not real. I got to add that disclaimer. That's where I go a little dark. But yeah, that's an assumption thing. I agree with Steph. That's, you know, maybe they just, maybe they're bots.
Starting point is 01:54:55 Maybe they're, I don't know. Yeah. That's you creating a narrative in your head and then using them leaving to reinforce it. So that's a dangerous thing to do overall. So, yeah, no, you be you, man. And if people don't, if people don't bother you because you're being you, fuck them. You don't need them. That's the way it is, pal.
Starting point is 01:55:13 Exactly. All right, what's next, Alex? Last one for the day. Arthur, sorry, Demith, ASAP, says, I don't understand why reviewers hype the movie score, because its purpose is to help forward the story and character emotions. It's never supposed to let you focus on the music, and if one is talking about it, doesn't it mean the director has failed?
Starting point is 01:55:31 What? No. A score, like the music. Score, movie score. Crazy? Yeah, I think the I think the great scores go unnoticed and just help move the movie forward. Excellent. Like you cannot forget the score.
Starting point is 01:55:48 You know the score. You're aware of the score. Mandelowian Star Wars, Harry Potter, all of these ones where you just think about forever because you liked listening to them. They moved the pot forward and enhanced it by knowing that they were there. I mean, John Williams would probably slap you for saying that. whoever sent that suit to you because like Superman, Star Wars, those are all Indiana Jones
Starting point is 01:56:12 amongst numerous other ones are iconic scores because of how they augment and accentuate the film, not overwhelm the film. Do you want to see a score that overwhelms the film? Watch Meet Joe Black. That's a score that overwhelms the film. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:56:28 But there's a lot of great scores that just elevate what you're watching and put you in the mindset. That's right. They're subtly, the great ones subtly do it as you watch the movie. Because you'll remember the first beats of the opening score, but then as the movie goes along, there's all these sound cues that maybe you're not even noticing
Starting point is 01:56:45 because you're so caught up in the action and the direction and the acting, but the score is elevating everything you're watching. I mean, Benjamin Woolfisher's score on The Invisible Man, that is a phenomenal score. And that film is nowhere near as incredible without his score. So it's important. Is that it? That's all for today.
