Late show, late show, late show, sorry about that.
I'll explain why.
It's a good reason in a second.
And thank you to Roxy and Mike, who I told,
I told Roxy and Mike that both, I was going to be like 50 minutes late.
So I'm starting the show now and they will be here, ASAP.
There's a question.
There's a question.
Superman, has it saved the D.C. brand in general?
Peacemaker Season 2, the viewership has rise.
significantly from season one has the DCU been helping.
Aquaman director James Juan and Patrick Wilson talking about if they met with James Gunn.
So Chris Columbus is not doing Harry Potter.
Greta Gerwig, he's doing some new stuff.
That and more on the show here today.
It's the Christian Harlov show here on this Tuesday.
Thanks for being here, everybody.
Let's get into it.
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, Blue Curtain in the background.
Um, it is nice to have you here.
So I, uh, have, I, I told both Mike and, and Roxy that we'd be about 15 minutes, uh, late today.
Uh, why?
Well, because as I've been saying, we've been kicking up the reactions on the channel and we've been doing more and Sam just came in this morning and we just watched and we just finished and wrap the usual suspects.
Um, and she had never seen it before.
So if you.
were wondering or kind of guessing how someone who is watching the usual suspects for the first time would react.
That's Sam times 10.
So we were very excited to get that one in there.
It'll be a little bit of a shorter show today once we do get Roxy and Mike in here because I have a screening of caught stealing that I'm going to go check out.
And I got to try to jump off to make sure I can put Return of the King up on the channel because I had that edit.
I just have to have a chance to put that in there as well.
So that's what I'm saying.
That's what you're saying.
So I'm stolen right now.
In the meantime, I'm going to bring up this gentleman here.
Mike Kalanowski is we wait for Roxy.
How you doing, pal?
All right.
Not bad.
Yeah.
Is that true?
I'm here.
I'm awake.
I'm here.
Oh, no.
Who are we getting today?
No.
I just woke up, went to the gym, and I went to the gym workout.
Good.
Now what?
You, you're killing me already.
What, I fucking got up.
I worked out.
Good.
That's good.
I did the same.
I went.
You get a haircut in a little bit?
Okay, okay.
That's that.
That's life.
I went to the gym myself this morning.
And I was like, I was, I had to get there early because I was like, I picked one of these moments today, Mike.
I was like, I was like, okay, I time everything out.
I get to the gym first.
I can get back here in time.
do the reaction, jump back on with everybody in the live show.
But then I realized I said, my daughter was like,
she asked me to play cards where they're in the morning.
I wanted to take a walk.
I'm like, I don't want to not do that.
Play cards, but she doesn't play,
you know, like garbage.
I love that you froze like that.
Yeah, oh, Christ.
That's the best.
Look at that.
It's the best.
That's the best cards.
Like garbage?
I don't know what that is.
That's a kid game.
that's not a kid game but she likes to play um so you try to play like pinnuckle or something like old man's game
well we didn't do that um but we did but we did do we we had uh we played we did some stuff and then i
i was excited about it so and then i found out to there's a there's a good possibility good possibility
that i might um i might not do the show on thursday and it'll be for good reason and i'm going to see
if i can get roca and stuff to do it but it's a good reason i don't want to announce anything yet because i'm waiting
to hear um
But yeah, so anyway, that's how everything is moving.
So, okay.
All right.
So I'm still, I'm just, we're just waiting for rocks.
And as soon as, as soon as she comes, I don't want, I don't want to start the news story without, oh, did you not get this?
We are in here.
Okay.
So I'm just waiting, telling Roxy.
So.
Is that you blowing up my phone right now?
Yeah, of course.
There's just a group, just a group test.
So anyway, I was, what do you, so what's, everything else is going good with you?
You went to the gym, you had a good time.
Yeah, you know, good.
As day hasn't started yet.
I'm not going to get pissed off yet, but it's early.
So it's what happens.
Good.
Well, we'll also tell Roxy, which comes in.
So the goal today to beat Roca is, is 53.
Not too bad.
Okay.
Too bad.
And you were right, though, where, come on.
Now, it's the two girls.
That's a, that's a, that's a stack deck.
The World Girls crushed.
So there you go.
Okay.
What's wrong?
Are you going to see any movies this weekend?
Well, yes.
I'm going to see F1 again today because it's an IMAX.
Yeah, I just want.
Oh, man, I'm going to see it.
Damn I'm going to see it.
I'm bringing Shannon to see it because I told her.
I was like, so much, I was like, you've got to see this movie.
Oh, yeah.
She asked her.
Yeah, she got it.
Yeah, she's gone.
Good.
And I just did, I did a, we did the reaction today.
my buddy Ming is up there.
He did,
he did their reaction with me.
So it's a,
for which one,
F1?
Yeah,
we put it up yesterday.
So F1 yesterday.
I'm trying to get the Lord of the Rings
return of the king up before I'd go.
But yeah,
so,
all right,
I've stalled long enough.
Roxy was awesome today.
And she,
I told her to come in and she was waiting.
So let me get her in here.
And here she comes,
ladies and gentlemen.
Hello, Rock.
Have you guys been live for five minutes?
Six.
Why?
So I, all my fault, this entire thing today.
So I was, what I was telling everybody was that I, this morning, I, I planned out, the goal was to go to the gym first, planned it out in time that I can get here, do usual suspects with Sam, because it's only about an hour and a half, hour 40, and I would be able to then have 15 minutes to spare, jump on, start at 12.
I decided to take a walk with my daughter this morning, do some, I played a card game with
cards, played some cards, hung out with my daughter for a little bit, got out of the house
a little late, did the gym, got back here, met Sam, we started about 15, 20 minutes later,
and then watched usual suspects, wrapped it up, and I said, and I sent you guys a text,
and I said, you know, I'll be probably like 15 minutes late.
I was about 10 minutes late, got in here.
and realize also, I haven't got return to the king, supposed to edit that up.
And I have a screening afterwards.
So I'm like, all right, I got to start.
It's on, and it's on me.
It was like, Roxy and Michael get in here whenever they get in here because I told them 15 minutes.
No, no.
You said 10 minutes behind.
And I was here and I said, okay, I'm going to leave the room, text me when to come back.
I didn't see it until I just checked.
Yeah.
So that's why I text you when you, because I, I, I said to myself, I was talking to Mike and I was stalling.
I'm going, I see that I have a mixed text.
I bet's just Roxy saying, hey, just let me know when.
And I'm like, oh, there it is.
And so that's why.
So here we are.
Well, how was your walk with your daughter?
It was amazing.
We did everything.
We played some cards and everything, too.
And I also told Mike, you guys are at, you need 53 to beat Roka today.
I think that beating Roka is very accessible to us.
Yes, I agree.
But I do feel like we should be given up, like 15.
Extra ones.
Yeah.
I know.
Well, you guys are going to have, well, for, for two,
reasons one for what you just said because we started 15 minutes late and we've got to end early because i need to get to that screening so
what screening are you're going to caught stealing oh me too me too you seen it today um i am seeing it today i'm i'm really excited for this movie same
looking forward to seeing i got so i got to get i got to get to the city it's on to screening in months yeah it's more downtown the
screening i got to get to get to and i got to try to get return to the king up on the channel in that time so i got a lot
trying to I'm juggling rocks
juggling yeah yeah
balls in the air
balls in the air better on the air than in the face
all right let's get to
the first topic
of the day
and we're talking about DC
hey that's not what I wanted to do
let's get back to this
where is the three person shot
in la yadi yadi there it is
all right getting back to it
and
what I don't know
media presentation what the hell is that
I guess that's it.
Okay, there you go.
Yeah, it puts me in there.
Perfect.
I don't know what it.
It'll change in a second.
Good.
Hold on.
Really good.
That's you.
I got Luke, what do you doing?
Can you kill in these smalls?
Where are we going here?
There we go. Perfect.
All right.
Here we go.
Has Superman saved the DC brand?
Uh, Peacemaker Season 2,
viewership rises significantly from season
One. Most fans seem to agree that Superman has restored faith in the DC brand after a series of
disappointments from Warner Brothers and early viewership figures for Peacemaker suggests it's also
benefit. Peasemaker's season one received glowing reviews when it premiered on HBO Max in 2022.
However, the Suicide Squad spinoff seemed like it was targeted more at hardcore DC fans
and general audiences. Season two followed three years later and in the wake of several bad DC comic
adaptations, it wouldn't have been too surprising to learn that interest in Peacemaker had waned.
Instead, it's increased by almost 25%, something we have to believe Superman deserves much of the credit for.
Man of Steel's reboot was well received and grossed over 600 million at the worldwide box office, helping to restore faith in the D.C. brand.
Throw in the fact that James Gunn has been hyping Peacemaker Season 2 as a Superman follow-up, and it is easy to see why the John Sina-led series has benefited.
According to Samba TV, a company that tracks viewership across TV and streaming is reporting that season two of Peacemaker blasted onto HBO Max with 22%
more U.S. households tuning in over its first four days than the season one finale in 2022.
Impressive result.
And one which appears to bode well for DC Studios and the DCU moving forward.
Next year will be a big test for Gunn and fellow co-CEO Peter Safron as they look to keep this momentum going with lanterns,
Supergirl, Clayface.
Gun oversaw those but didn't write or direct any of them.
Back to peacemaker and its importance to the wider DCU remains to be seen.
If nothing else, it's established that the multiverse still exists.
Even so, we wouldn't bank on any DCU, DCU crossovers being in the works.
Okay.
So when we see this and we are, you know, this is essentially the DC movie news I got with me here with Mike and and Roxy.
Roxy, we didn't have a chance to speak about peacemaker last week.
I know you brought it up on the show, obviously, with Steph on Thursday and it was one of your picks,
but I hadn't seen it at that time.
I have now seen episode one.
And what do you think about this?
Do you think that it is because A,
gun has been promoting a lot.
B, the Superman release,
maybe on digital,
helped it.
What are you thoughts of this story overall?
It's exciting to see a second season.
Oh,
that's not.
Hold on a second,
I got it.
Give me a second.
These shots are not set up.
Yep.
No problem.
Hold on.
Okay, go ahead.
It's exciting to see.
Let me organically say this again.
Huh.
It's good question, Christian.
It's exciting to see the second season of a show perform better than the first.
We've been getting a lot of the opposite of that.
And as a TV girl, this is awesome.
Also, as a former host of DC Movie News, it's always fun to be on a DC heavy show when I'm with Mikey on the show.
So I'm curious to hear his thoughts, too.
But I think that, yeah, of course that has to do with it.
I think that one of the things that Gunn is doing extremely well, as he's doing many things very well,
is really making the DC must watch TV and making Peacemaker must watch TV.
Does it overlap with Superman a ton?
Not really, but it's very clear.
And I think I'm on episode four at this point.
It's very clear that this is a big part of his universe that he's created.
And he's bringing in characters and tying in the world and explaining what the vibe and the energy and the players and the tools in the sandbox are.
So especially with Superman coming out on digital, which I think beforehand I didn't think was the smartest idea.
And afterwards, it seems as if I was wrong.
Right.
Yeah.
It seems like the move.
It does seem like the move was in and because it didn't hurt Bach.
I understand why everybody was saying.
I understand where your point of view was on that.
I understand where a course point of view was on that.
But I think the strategy behind it actually did pay off, Mike,
because it's like, okay, let's, A, it didn't hurt Superman's box office at all.
It passed 600 million.
They're happy with that.
And now, and it was also the ability, because of the digital release,
you got more press.
And because of that James Gunway is doing press for digital for Superman.
He's also doing press for peacemakers who scratch his back.
Plus, now the ratings have been up.
So what do you make?
This is DC fan, DCU, you got to be encouraged, right?
And I'm going to hit your single shots.
Possibility, you got to add you.
So hold on.
Nope, gotcha.
Look at that.
So your question to me was, is it exciting?
How are you feeling right now with how, you know,
it's been like the up and downs for the DC fan right now?
Yeah, yeah.
You know, it's, I guess maybe because I tend to dwell on the,
armpit of Twitter that I my algorithm is gets all the crap that I don't want to see and so it's
tinged a little bit but as a fan of this stuff like I like I'm just enjoying I'm just loving what's
what's going on it's just exciting and to see you know it didn't tie really into peacemaker but it does
like in a sense it was you know they mentioned the rift and Luther and stuff like that and
Rick Flagg so it just kind of enhances it did you need to see Superman to to enjoy it
not at all.
I'm torn on the opening.
I have to give it a couple more episodes before I make a decision on the opening
because that first opening was so good.
But I love what I love about peacemakers.
It's just like you don't know what you're going to get.
Like, you know, your heart felt one moment and then you're an orgy the next.
And I'm just like, what's happening here?
So my thoughts on it overall was, and Oroxki had asked me last week,
you're saying curious about what my thoughts were going to be after watching
because you had watched it, obviously, I think Greg had,
John, there's different opinions between the three of you guys when you watched the episodes.
And what I also am going to press because it seems like sometimes people can't,
they can't really listen to things.
So I'm going to say this again.
When you criticize things that you like,
you criticize something, even if you like it,
it doesn't mean that you're now a DC hater.
It means that there's certain things that you might like and there are certain things you're
not.
Because yesterday I talked about the, overall,
really like the episode, but there were things that I'm going to tell you guys what I didn't like.
And somebody, well, it looks like Roka's hated the DC is now transferring over to Christian.
And it's like, no, I'm telling you that I loved peacemaker season one.
And peacemaker season one was to me a great series of television.
I love that.
I thought the humor was all just solid.
The first episode to me, there were a lot of jokes that seemed a bit forced.
and the story itself was what I really enjoyed about Peacemaker season two and episode one.
I like the heart of it.
I like where they're going with a heart court.
I love where they're going with Peacemaker.
I get where they're going with overall.
I didn't love the interrogation scene with Max Lord.
I didn't love that to me was just it was just it didn't fit for me.
But there's a lot of stuff I really did like.
So, and I'm very interested to see where it goes.
Your guide, Mike.
Yeah, it froze is perfect.
No, I agree with you.
I think, yeah, that's just awesome.
I agree.
I think that interrogation scene was probably the weakest scene in the episode.
Yeah.
I think it didn't fit.
I think the fact that, like, you got Maxwell Lord
who's funded the justice gang.
You've got the Hall of Justice.
Like, why doesn't it take place in the Hall of Justice?
Why is it in some random strip mall?
For the bit.
With the three.
Yeah.
And it just.
The jokes felt forced.
That, to me, was the worst part of the episode, I think.
I love that scene so much.
I think that the reason I love that scene so much is that I felt so bad for peacemaker.
I think it makes perfect sense where it was taking place because they don't want to invite these non-superhero,
not up to their level people into their house.
They are treating them like scum, and they're treating peacemaker really poorly.
And I think that it prepped me for this season of he's not the same peacemaker that we had last year.
And he has grown.
And this is somebody who is being mistreated by his quote unquote peers.
And it makes you kind of think like what does that mean for his emotional growth,
which is why I've been loving season two and also why I said last week,
I don't know how fans are going to feel about this.
Yeah.
Because I what's really working for me is the stuff that completely 180 from season one even though I loved season one.
And specifically on the intro, because you touched on that, Mike, I, the first episode, I, and it's on record.
This is what it is to do reactions is to not be able to claim one thing that you didn't feel.
I was like, I don't know that I like this.
I'm kind of bummed with this new intro.
I miss our old intro.
You're talking about the music side of it?
Or Mike, were you talking about the replacing of the justice gang?
No, I'm talking to music.
Oh, I'm with you.
I'm with you almost all your best.
So I was like, mm-mm, now that I have watched it,
now that I'm either on episode four or five,
it is, I'm obsessed with it.
And I am shocked about that because when the boys were like,
no, this is fine.
And I was like, mm-mm-mm.
What I think is really cool about it is there's a lot of Easter eggs in it.
And things that I did not pick up on.
And then you watch an episode and you're like, oh, that's what that is.
That's what that is.
And the song, which I didn't like, is totally grown on me.
So I don't know at what point it switched for me, early around episode three where I was like, I don't know what, what's going on?
You froze with a little stupid face.
I was laughing in my face, my stupidest face.
Oh, okay.
Anyway, just I liked it.
Yeah. All right. So I'm encouraged by that because everything that you said you felt initially is how I felt. I hate the song. I hate it. It's like I loved the original song so much. Me too. And it worked with the rhythm of what they were doing. This seems so out of place. But maybe from watching it like you said, and because of Easter eggs and other things, it may be, oh, and maybe I'll feel the same way that you did. But right now I hate it.
Yeah, I feel you.
It was not for me at first either.
I was like, oh, this is fine, but it's just not the same as the first one.
And I do think that now this new one totally fits the new season, which is a, which is
completely different totally than season one.
Yeah.
And so that's the stuff I loved about this episode was the, the heart of it.
But like the thing is sometimes James Gunn does this and he did in Guardians too.
And he does sometimes he, he, and he did it in Superman.
He just, sometimes he just goes for the bit when, like I told you, the garage, the garage thing
with Mr. Triffick when he's waiting there.
And I was like, that's just a James Gun bit.
And it's funny, but it just feels like, okay,
it just added, I'm like, we didn't need that right now.
There's other times that like when John Cena's coming up with all those different names of all
those pop stars and all those different names in general in episode, in season one.
And it was like in the middle of this whole thing in the back and forth.
This is brilliant.
I love the way that it was a bit, but it just fit for the moment.
I felt there was a lot of bits in that interrogation thing.
I felt like the orgy was a bit, to be honest with you.
Orgy was not my favorite part of it either.
I don't think it was like, hey, let's show a bunch of dicks and people fucking and everything
too.
And it's like, we get it that the show can go there.
We get it.
But that wasn't the stuff that worked for me.
The stuff that worked for me was like him seeing his brother, the stuff with hardcore,
this, you know, the scene with her when he's like, you have, when he's, she's being
interviewed about her being toxic masculinity.
And she's like, I have a vagina.
Like, that's the stuff to me that's funny.
Like those types of things like in the moment and not just going for the bit.
And so I really liked the episode.
I was just like, all right, let's just hope we're not.
Let's not get over.
Let's not say, well, this is where we can go.
So we're going to go here just to do it.
Does that make sense?
Completely.
The orgy stuff actually ends up coming, like making, I felt better about it in later
episodes because it ended up being more relevant when I thought they were just throwing
it in.
So I do feel like even things that kind of irked me early on.
have paid off later, which I appreciate.
But to your point of the bits,
I think there's going to be some stuff
about this season you don't like.
There are every episode,
there's at least like two
of just four minutes,
two minutes of back and forth.
Right, I'm listening to you,
but I have to do this,
but I'm listening to you.
That was it.
Yeah.
the whole thing.
I am looking forward to seeing how
maybe one of those bits just really lands for me.
I'm like,
ah,
it was so funny enough,
I don't really care.
That's kind of what happens to me sometimes,
Christian,
like especially there's a lot of van scenes in this,
in the first few episodes.
And every time we go into a van,
I'm like, okay,
buckle up rocks because this is going to be back and forth bits.
And some of them are really funny.
and then I'm more tolerant of it.
And some of them I'm like, let's get to it.
Let's go.
But it's never that long.
I just think that that will probably be something for you the whole time.
Okay.
Well, look forward to seeing it.
Looking forward in general to see how they're working with it.
Clearly, they are doing some stuff here and it's working 25% over the finale.

Where's the matter with you?
The light went out for you.
I love it.
You guys are just, I mean, not you guys.
That's not fair, Roxy.
Mike's tech is a disaster.
Okay.
Shut up.
We got other things to discuss.
But Rock is currently at right?
now you guys are at 18 um i think we can do like i said as a shorter show today we're going to do a
couple more topics we're going to get into the um the tv picks for rocks and then we'll um yeah
then we'll do the questions you guess i'm done on your mind rocks you look you look no no what's
going on with you that's how's how's life fine good yeah yeah yeah decent i like the glasses on you
the glare is killing me but it really does feel like my
my eyes strain less when I do a lot of screen time.
Of course they do.
Good look.
It's good luck, the glasses.
Thanks, man.
What's going on with you?
I just love it.
It's just fucking perfect.
Oh, well.
We were talking about,
Roxanne and I were talking this right,
and we were just like,
we agree how, like,
your internet is just like a mother character on the show.
I didn't say that.
I said it was perfect.
You did.
It's true.
Okay.
Let's get to a story.
I got one. We got another one. I can stick with the DC. Aquaman, James Juan and Patrick Wilson,
whether or not they have met with James Gunn. I'm going to say Patrick Wilson probably says no.
I'm going to guess at James Gunn, not James Gunn. James Gunn's met with James Gunn. I'm going to say James
Juan has met with him. Aquaman James Gunn and Patrick Wilson have revealed whether they've been in touch
with James Gunn about potentially joining all new DCU. Josh Wilding writes, Aquaman
made over $1.1.1 billion in 2018, prompting one of those two quickly,
unless filmmaker James wanted to take the home of a sequel and even a spinoff.
Evolving around the trench. I forgot about that.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom finally splashed down at the theaters at the end of 2023.
Fans and moviegoers alike had largely lost interest in the DCEU by then,
but despite largely unfavorable reviews, the sequel still managed to make a so-so $440 million worldwide.
Juan has reunited with Ocean Master actor Patrick Wilson as a producer
on The Conjuring Last Rights,
and in a recent interview with Comicbook.com,
both of them were asked about possibly working with DC Studios in the new DCU.
It says, no, never met him.
So I have no relationship there.
Obviously, Peter, his partner is our producer.
So I've known Peter forever.
I mean, we said what we needed to say with Horm.
So yeah, I love the guy.
I love the character.
Juan, meanwhile, doesn't appear to be eyeing a DC return.
I haven't really.
Peter and I have chatted briefly on the surface,
but I've actually just taken a bit of hiatus from directing and just a break for my mental health
because directing just takes so much out of you physically, mentally, and emotionally.
And so who knows? Never say never,
but for now, I'm solely getting back in there.
I tell you what I would be keen to do.
I love the idea of maybe getting back into horror.
One concluded hinting at wanting to return to his roots or possibly showing interest
in a horror-themed comic book movie.
For what it's worth, DC Studios appeared to fully moved on from the Aquaman franchise in
his previous form.
Gun said, I don't think Aquaman is canon.
It's unlikely that Aquaman is a famous hero in the DCU as Superman and Peacemaker season two is
happening.
Filmaker and studio executive has also cast Jason Mamoa as Lobo.
If and when the King of Atlantis does return, he'll likely be much different and hopefully
more in line with his comic book counterpart.
However, based on how gun relentlessly mocked Arthur Curry and Peacemaker Season 1,
we won't bank on Aquaman being that high up on list priorities of the new DCU.
Okay.
A bit of a nothing story here is like you could kind of grab anybody and say, hey,
You know, what's that?
Hey, did you talk?
No.
Right.
Did you talk or it's like, hey, you know, one time, you got somebody who worked with Michael Keaton, who worked with D.C. back in 1989, was asked again.
Or Jack Nicholson was asked back in if he's going to join the DCU.
He said, probably not having met with them.
The part that I care about of this story is that I do think that James Wan should get back into horror.
stuff, especially because that's what he wants to do.
I love James Juan, and I got to interview him at the Aquaman Junkett, and he is a very cool guy,
cool director, makes great horror movies.
I really happened to like his DC movies, but that's kind of besides the point.
I think that he cut his teeth on horror for a reason, and I think that fans would be extremely
excited if there was an announcement that he was coming back to a franchise or doing a one-on
offer anything. It makes sense that he took a break for his mental health. It is, it takes a huge
toll every movie, whatever your position on the movie is. But this is all good news to me. And I'm not
sitting here clamoring for James Wan to be in the DC. I'm not either. And I think your points are
a hundred percent correct. I think the good, the thing as far as getting him back to horror,
not only just because he's really good at it,
because I think what happened was,
and it happens to a lot of directors,
is that they go from doing their wheelhouse,
smaller budgets,
but still studio films,
but smaller productions.
And then because they were so successful,
then they want them to do the big ones,
and they get just beaten down.
And I think that when that happened with James Wan,
who did all of his horror movies,
did conjuring,
and then they're like,
do Aquaman,
and then it makes $1.1 billion.
And then like now you get a sequel and then the sequel, you know, all the stuff and everything that happened with the Amber Hurd situation and everything else.
And then he, all that reshoots and he was probably just like, fuck this, you know, and I don't blame him.
I was like that and I didn't work on the movie.
So I think him coming back and he's like, I want to go back into horror and do because that's probably his happy place.
It's probably where he, when he thinks of directing, when he thinks of Aquaman too, he probably goes, oh my God, I don't want to do this.
But when he goes back and he thinks, not because of the.
property itself, but because of the experience that he had. And then when he thinks back,
I'm conjuring and other things, he probably says, oh, I like to be there. But,
Mike, I mean, you were Aquaman fan for one and two? I can't remember. Yeah, I actually
like two. I mean, it was fun. I still, to this day, have no idea how the first one made a billion
dollars. I don't think I'll ever understand that. Right. But I love that first one so much. I think
the biggest thing I loved about it was they didn't
think like, well, we're going to
hold this off for the sequel if we do get
when they threw everything at it. And sometimes
people might complain it's too much, but at least
they put it all on the screen. And it's
just a fun movie. I think
I mean, from the beginning, I think
Mamo is completely miscast as Aquaman
completely and two really
showed it.
I think you put that movie with a
classic looking Aquaman
and it's kind of would be
regarded a little bit more than it is.
But that's just my two cents.
I don't think he should.
Yeah, I gave you five cents.
Yeah, I appreciate it.
Yeah.
But I'd like to see, I'd like to see him return and do what makes him happy.
And I agree with Roxette.
I had an opportunity to meet him a couple times.
He's a really nice guy.
And you root for him.
He's very creative.
I mean, he's super creative in general.
So I don't know.
I asked the audience this.
Do you want to see James, Juan, return to DC?
Or do you think, no, no, do.
Go do your thing.
Go do some hard.
films do something smaller and be happy.
I assume that's going to be the answer.
But on Clips Channel, all those other things,
that's where we're at, guys.
You can click all that stuff.
Check it out.
As I said, we're going to do a little bit of a shorter show here today.
So I'd like to get.
Well, I think right now because we have,
you know, let's do, we'll do one more movie story.
We'll do one more movie story.
Then we'll do your TV picks.
And then we'll get to the questions.
And let me do that.
Let me get to the next one.
The answer is I got to get on a train, Rox.
And I got to get Return of the King on there also.
So let's see.
How about we'll do this one.
We'll do, let's talk about Greta Gerwig because this Narnia thing week.
Because Roxy, we've talked about this story, I think, many times since we've been
since she announced that she's doing it.
So let's continue the follow up here on Greta Gerwig and Narnia.
All right.
So Greta Gerwig.
sets the video
sorry Greta Gerwig's
Narnia set video reveals the witch
new set photos and videos have
gone online showcasing
Greta Gerwig's film adaptation of the Chronicles of
Narnia, the magician's nephew for Netflix
freaking UK set photo
capture unboxed PhD posted a video which shows
off Emma Mackey's stunt double on set and
dressed as the white witch jeddus
Mackie's double can be seen

are spotted dressed in period
garb. Herwig, dressed from a screenplay that she wrote, and the film also stars Daniel Craig,
Carrie Mulligan, Merrill Streep, as the voice of Aslan. The film is expected to be an adaptation of
the first book chronologically in the series, though, as previously reported, films are scenes
will be moved up a few decades from the novel. Here's the picture. Whitewitch, a little video,
but that's just, that's her. Okay. So, I do have a question here, and I,
I guess anytime you do this, she come off as the bad guy asking.
So I will ask, I love Merrill Street.
I think he's one of the greatest of all time.
I love her.
Why are they changing Aslan to the woman's voice?
I just don't, I don't, does it matter?
Or no?
Do you care?
I don't know, dude.
I don't know.
You read that.
And I'm just like, well, what are we doing here?
I don't see the reason for, I mean, I just feel like you're,
all it's going to do at that point
is stoked the fire.
Stoke the fire.
I don't understand why you need to do.
You get her in any role that she wants to do in it,
but I mean, I don't know.
I don't be the white witch.
I don't understand why you would,
why you would do that,
but again,
Greta Gerwig has made some choices that say,
hey, dummy,
she made $1.2 billion in the last movie,
so shut her ass and that's who that's who is Aslan's going to be.
Yeah.
Roxy, do you see any problem with it or not?
No, really.
I think this is the wrong show for me to voice my opinion on this matter.
Okay.
Why do you say that?
Um,
no.
Oh.
No.
Oh,
okay.
Because of the fans.
Um,
yeah.
Okay.
But you're,
you're,
you're,
you think this is,
this is the move.
They're going to do it.
They're going to do it.
Do you can say that?
I,
I couldn't care less about this.
Couldn't go.
Fair enough.
Yeah.
I couldn't care less if it was the voice of a man.
woman.
I don't think it matters at all.
Okay. The answer is also that it's
Meryl Street. So you can say, it's
Merrill Street. I mean, she's the best and the biggest
of all time. So like,
I also have zero attachment to this
property. So. Fair enough.
So what do you make of the fact that,
you know, this, you know what I will ask is
because K-pop Demon Hunters
was a Netflix release
crushed. And
then they put a
sing-along in the theater and
it did gangbusters considering how many it wasn't even that many theaters and it was the number
one movie of the month with this movie obviously getting a two-week window for Netflix in the
theater and and a lot of iMac screens and the first follow-up for greta grow weeks since
barbie uh this strategy seems to be the the right call right now with how they're doing okay
k-pop did well after it had been released though this isn't correct correct so i i feel like
that's a big difference
with the sing-along.
I don't think K-pop
Demon Hunter would have done well in theaters
if that's how it was released for two weeks
and then went to Netflix.
I agree.
So I don't know.
We'll see.
Like you said,
Christian,
you and I talked about this story
a lot of times randomly.
And I think we're both big Greta fans
and excited to see what she does next.
I know that I loved the Barbie movie.
I think that you didn't like it as much as I did,
but like Greta.
Would that be accurate?
So I think that whatever she did next,
I just assumed would be on the big screen.
I think she probably assumed that too.
And I hope that this performs for her.
I don't know, though.
Yeah.
Mike, do you have any investment in this whatsoever?
Should I say no, just to be, you know?
I don't know.
Hey, man.
Look, like you guys are talking to K-pop Demon Hunter.
I don't even know what that is.
I know there's K-pop bands.
You haven't heard about it at all?
Like it's an animated
Demon Hunter?
So it's a huge hit
for Netflix. It's a
Netflix musical using
K-pop music.
So it's the music, but
So K-pop, K-pop
is a style? Yes.
Korean pop. Okay.
And this is an animated
film but using K-P music.
That would be probably like the biggest
K-pop band. Okay.
The animation is Sony animation.
It's the same type of animation style they did for like Spider-Verse.
Okay.
So it's a, it's a whole like, I actually haven't even seen the movie yet because I,
oh, wow.
I feel like a reaction to it, but it is a whole, like, a crazy, crazy fan base.
Oh, I know that.
I heard, I've heard about it.
Like, I know the real K-pop, like the live action bands and stuff.
I know how insane that is.
So after it came out on Netflix,
now they've released sing-alongs in theaters.
So people just go and sing-along?
Yes.
And it annihilated.
It made a ton of money.
So that wasn't their intention until it was so popular on Netflix.
And the number one song on the Billboard charts in general, not just like under movie.
No, is a song from the movie.
Is a K-pop song from this movie?
Oh, Jesus.
All right.
I mean, different strokes for different folks, guys.
It's crushing.
And the fact, like I said, it wasn't even in a lot of theaters, this thing.
And it still was the number one movie of the weekend.
So whether or not that says anything, I agree with rocks.
I think the only difference to Roxy with, I agree with you that K-pop demon hunters would have not done well if it would have done this strategy, what Narnia is doing.
I think the difference is what you just said.
Yeah.
Well, it's Narnia.
It's Greta Gerwig's follow up, right?
it's some big
who was who was the most known person
in American audiences who was the most
known person in that K-pop demon hunters
Ken
help me
thank you Ken Jung so he was
that that was their biggest
star in that thing so in this you get Daniel Craig
you got Merrill Streep yeah but it was also animated so
usually big start you don't even know who's
but they market with those big stores
on animated that's true but they didn't
did you see any marketing for that movie before
drop.
That's another reason why I agree with you that it wouldn't have done anything at all.
But this one, you're going to be making a push.
IMAX two weeks, go see it in theaters and that.
So maybe because what they're hoping, and I think this is what is going to happen, I believe,
is they're going to do such a big push on it to see it in IMAX that even if it doesn't do well,
everybody's going to watch it once it hits Netflix two weeks later or whatever it is.
We'll see.
What do you guys make of the NARN?
movie. You're going to see it. Do you care? Do you not care? Put your thoughts in there. We want to know.
All right. Currently at 30, 30 thus far. Now it's time for Roxy. I'm going to change.
I got to do something when I'm going to bring up your shot because I think I disappear again.
Okay, there it is. I should be there. Perfect. Roxy, it's time for TV.
We're going to get into some TV picks here. I tell you, by the way, I finished Tulsa King's season two.
Really liked it. Oh, good. Yeah. Welcome to
the club a year later.
I'm currently on Alien Earth.
I still don't watch it yet. I have to be honest with you guys.
It was not a big TV viewing.
I watched about 15 shows
this week. Yeah. So I can't say it wasn't
a huge TV viewing week, but I didn't add
a lot of new shows. I added two new shows
this week. I've never heard about this one.
Okay, this is relevant.
You're making a joke, right?
Making a joke. It's relevant because Love Island did its
reunion. Did you hear about this?
No.
All right. So one of the things that this show does that I appreciate is
that Love Island ended a month ago and they wait to do their reunion because it's a live show.
So they're like, what would we be reuniting about?
As opposed to something like Love is Blind where they taped it a year ago so they can do their reunion right after it airs.
This we have to wait for.
And it was like one of the hottest events in television last night.
I'm not even kidding you.
This was the most watch time, according to Andy Cohen.
Love Island was the most watch.
I watched on of any show this summer.
The reunion was insane.
There, the, like, people are unfollowing each other, dating, not dating, accusations being
hurled.
It was a two-hour reunion.
And I was on the edge of my seat, man.
You know that this show is almost torn Steph and I apart?
Really?
How?
Not really, obviously.
Stephanie.
Like this always.
But we have different feelings on different people on the show.
And like she she hates somebody that I don't hate.
And I don't like somebody that she loves.
And we have texted like as if these are our friends that we're going to bat for.
We have texted back and forth novellas to each other.
Voice notes.
Like here's the thing that I think she was trying to say though in this moment.
And this is why it mattered and why I think you should overlook the thing that she did in the second thing.
because the first thing was,
and it's like crazy how invested we've become
because you watch them seven days a week for months.
Right.
So the reunion was wild.
Okay.
Next one after that.
Always Sunny did something that I thought was really funny.
The last couple of weeks where they made Frank Reynolds,
which is Danny DeVito,
the Golden Bachelor,
and they brought in Jesse Palmer,
and they air the episode of the Golden,
Golden Bachelor that he stars in.
And it was like,
this show is always bonkers.
But when they do things like that,
where they full blown,
like created an episode of the Golden Bachelor
starring Danny Navino.
And every woman who walks in,
he's like, old, ugly, fat.
It's just like,
I can't believe this is a show.
I can't believe this is a show.
It was excellent this past week.
M.
Jeff's guess.
Next one.
Okay, this is my new show that I added this week.
I can't read it here, but it's the Amanda Knox show.
Something Tale of Nandanox.
What's it say, Christian?
What does it say that that is Amanda?
The Blu-Bala tale of Amanda Knox.
Yes.
I don't remember the name of the Twisted.
Twisted.
Twisted.
This is the Amanda Knox show that's on Hulu.
It's crushing it for Hulu right now.
And for good reason, do you guys remember following the Amanda Knox?
case. No.
Mikey? He can't,
you can't hear him.
He can't hear me? No, he can hear you. You can't hear him right now. I don't have, I don't want to
Adam. All right. Well, I'm curious, or he remembers it.
So you know nothing about this, Christian? This is the girl who went, who was in Italy
and was accused of murdering her roommate and was sent to Italian prison for four years and
then was acquitted. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I do. I do. So that's a spoiler, I guess,
for the show, but that's very public.
Right.
And like the media completely demonized her.
This was like one of the craziest cases that I ever remember true crime cases.
And people became so, so obsessed with it.
Right.
And to this day, like even like Karen in the comments, like yeah, didn't she kill her roommate?
She is a person who had to go live her life after being acquitted for something that she did not do.
and everybody still thinks that she did because that was never like
so it's just it it's I think they're doing an excellent job of the show
and they have talked about trying to create true crime shows with empathy
which I think is an interesting concept I'm really curious to know
I've only seen episode one episode two dropped so I have to watch that
but it's really well done so far I'm sorry and you said who did you say the star was
Oh, oh, oh, no, she's the girl who's lying there.
I recognize her, but I don't remember what her name is.
Let me see if I can find it right now.
Because she looks a lot like Shealy and Woodley, but it's not her.
That's okay.
We can find out to any questions.
And then we just did this one, so you want to give a little bit of a...
Grace Van Patten is her name.
Do you know who that is?
She was in the Meyerowitz stories.
She's been in a couple of Tell Me lies,
Nine Perfect Strangers.
Anyway, she's really good.
Peacemaker, yeah, I don't have that much to say other than I will let you guys know.
I think that episode three changes the game.
Three and four are so good.
So like if you're a little mixed on this right now, hang in there and see how you like the future episodes.
Yeah, I would have clarified.
I'm definitely not mixed.
I'm liking.
Yeah, I'm not talking to you.
I know you're not.
I'm just saying because you can, like I said, criticize things.
still liked it.
I'm putting Plutonic back on my list because I'm not hearing people talk about it.
And I find this show to be hysterical.
Seth Rogen has talked a lot about how different this is from shooting the studio because
the studio, he's like, we have almost no improv.
Everything's so technical because there's so many one shots that you have to hit your marks,
hit your lines.
And he's like, like, Platonic, we just really go whatever we want to say, whatever we want to do.
and Rose Burns a star.
Like she is not spoken about like the comedic genius she is.
And their dynamic is great.
The show is like bonkers over the top.
And it is so good.
So good.
If you're looking for a comedy, this should be it.
Okay.
So those are the TV picks for Roxy Streying here today.
Make sure you guys check it out.
And then Roxy also loves when you guys recommend stuff.
Yes.
So do that.
That's why I watched Amanda Knox because they recommended it.
And I was like, okay.
I didn't know it was even out.
A lot of TV, because there's so many shows, I don't hear about them.
Now that you're live, Mikey, did you know about, do you remember the Amanda Knox?
Amanda Knox case?
It's familiar.
The name's familiar.
I don't remember too well.
You guys aren't true crime people.
No, I'm not.
No.
That's good.
There's a lot of statistics about how much.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's me on the other hand.
I can't believe how inquisitive you are today.
Very inquisitive.
That, perfect.
Okay, well, thank you to Roxy as always for doing that.
And now we're going to get into the questions because right now, 33.
So Roxy and Mike need 20 to take the lead over Roca.
So we shall see if that's going to happen.
I mentioned today Ross before giving me.
We did, I'm going through because I had, Steph is watching back to the future.
we have that kind of coming up.
We're going to walk with her tomorrow.
Our first one.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, it's not airing tomorrow.
We're shooting it's more.
And then my buddy Ming just made his debut with F1.
So people are curious.
So I told you guys I've been going to the gym since February.
This is, you'll see the second you see him on screen.
You go, oh, well, that's why he called him to help him.
And so he has been doing some stuff.
We're going to do South Park, the movie.
movie he and I doing that one. He's never seen that. I just found that out yesterday. He's also
going to make a gun with me. And then I'm trying to think Winston's going to do Jaws, which is great.
Chris Carr is going to do Gladiator. She's never seen that. And today, I mean, I found out
last week that Sam had never seen usual suspects. So we just watched that. And if you, I mean,
all three of us have seen usual suspects, yes? Yeah, but I think when we were just talking to Steph,
didn't she say she either hadn't or didn't remember?
think she had and and you know if it if i could get her i would have loved they were in studio to
have her and sam do it together like hey do i think step could run a virtual reaction on her own
i do um but not yet because when i'm just learning myself that eventually i want to see i would
love to have sam and step uh together so is you shooting with step the first virtual reaction
you've done um no the i did a test i did a test i did a test
with Luke for but we did a we did a this this YouTube channel the Star Wars YouTube channel we
we did one and for a test and we put it up but it's the first it's the first virtual movie
reaction so I guess the answer is yes slash no cool yeah well uh thank you um okay Joshua
Gonzalez starts us off and says hey Roxy enjoying your Friday the 13th reaction thank you um
I did react to those quite a bit of time
ago. So I'm curious if you just found them or if you mean my current Halloween reactions.
Maybe, maybe.
Even all the big franchises. It's been really cool to become an absolute horror nerd. I'm loving.
That's what I love about this too. And you asked me, I quoted you today. I'm on usual suspects.
Like one of them. And I love the question last week when you were like, well, what is the goal overall for you
want to do here? And I and you say that's such a you answer. And it's true. Like, I really want to show people
movies that I, that I, that I, that they haven't seen. But I also.
want to discover new things with people, but I really, but for the most part, like I said,
like Gladiator, I've seen a million times. I can't wait for Chris Carr to watch.
So excited to see her reaction.
Sam, I'm sitting there, like watching like the end like that like this.
So that's the kind of stuff that I hope adds a little bit of a different kind of spin to.
It is different than what a lot of people are doing.
That's different.
Yeah.
Tyler B.
Never fix Mike's internet connection.
How was Batman and Dolby, Mike?
Did it have the blue tint like the 4K Blu-ray and did RoxyWRey?
and did Roxy watch Alien Earth?
We know Roxy didn't watch that yet.
I got to get on that.
You guys are all talking about it.
I know.
It's really good.
Especially if you're in like a horror kick now.
I watched a little bit.
It's funny.
I watched a little bit of the third episode,
about a half an hour of it with my oldest yesterday.
And she had never seen her.
And she,
because at first she's like,
what's this?
Because the other day she had walking into Tulsa King
and she just couldn't be bothered with it.
So but she sat down and watched,
she likes horror.
So she was watching.
She's like,
okay, I want to go back.
I'm going to watch the first two.
And then we can watch the rest.
But Mike, how was Batman and Dolby?
It was great.
It didn't have the blue tent either.
It was a new remaster or something, but it looked great.
I love that.
Okay.
What Batman did you see in Dolby?
89.
Yeah.
They re-released it for a little bit.
Chris A.
Ryan Reynolds is the new Chevy Chase.
Thoughts?
I mean, in regards to what?
And difficulty on set?
I think audience is souring on him.
Audience.
Yeah.
Go ahead, Roxie.
I mean, to that sense, I feel like Sidney
is the new Chubby Chase.
People are like, it's crazy.
People are really, really soured on.
I have not seen most people soured on.
But isn't, didn't Sydney Sweeney
become a victim of the political side of it?
Because isn't there like, isn't there a...
Isn't that what Chevy Chase did too?
Not necessarily.
Chevy Chase has soured everybody because of his attitude.
It seems like Sydney,
Sweden you went from a lot of people
love her right now on one
side and a lot of people like she
Are you seeing like the bathwater stuff?
Like she was like American Eagle stuff like all that all that bathwater
Oh the bathwater stuff with Mike wants to
Rathers balls up on it no no it's when she was like
She started coming after the fans and was like you guys all love
Jacob Allorty's bathwater but because of my old name or whatever
And then all these women were like what are you talking about?
None of us bought Jacob Lordy's bathwater we all thought that was that would be really weird
whatever it is. It seems like there's
it doesn't seem to just be political stuff. I don't know
and I have zero feelings on her.
You definitely know more than I do because I didn't know that story at all.
But the Ryan Reynolds thing, I haven't heard.
We've heard some a little bit of weird set things,
but I've been hearing that for years. It doesn't seem like.
I just think the Blake lively thing did him know.
Mike, what do you feel about it?
About the whole thing in general?
Yeah.
I think Sidney is a beautiful woman that's
loves her body shows it off i think people i'm the most liberal person in the face of the
earth i am liberal snowflake man but my god people that were upset about that perfect jeans
bullshit ad that oh it's white supremacy she's perfect and her genes and the way american eagle
says it's perfect genes it's just like it's a job like half the people that are complaining about
the stuff. If they were alive in the 80s and 90s
would have lost their fucking minds
watching Christy Brinkley drink
a diet Pepsi or something.
It's like she's
just out there living her best life
doing, you know, having fun, making
soap out of her bath water or whatever.
I think the Ronald Reynolds thing is
I think Ronald Reynolds is
I don't know, man. I think
the Blake lively stuff did not do him any favors
that come in on SNL making fun of it.
Didn't do any favors. I think.
I don't know, man.
Okay.
I can be clear, and you guys remember I said this,
I thought that the shit about the ad was crazy too.
Crazy.
Yeah, because for some reason, like you said,
Christian, the chat never knows how to listen.
And I do not hate Sidney's meeting.
Just said here, I couldn't care less about any of this.
You're a big advocate for her for a long time.
Yeah.
And still, she's really talented.
I just have found the internet has completely turned.
Like her and Pedro,
are the two people that the internet seem to turn on heading this year.
I didn't.
I'm just pointing out what the internet.
Of course.
Yeah.
Sorry,
just getting hit up by a bunch of different things here.
Oh, damn it.
I missed it.
All right.
RQ,
MD,
MD,
and my,
Roxy is 12 o'clock high shirt popos.
Yeah.
That's great.
That's really great.
Luke,
James.
I love that. That's really great.
Luke James Actor 1. Can't watch live, Mike and Roxy.
Moxie. Moxie. Have we ever said Moxie before?
You're just, just now? It's like 15 years.
Oh, Mike's camera went out. Oh.
We always go by Moxie.
We love that.
I'm sorry, Mike. You were saying?
All right. So, Go pal says Roxy is giving very 90s vibes today.
that's when Mike and I came up with Moxie in the 90s.
Yeah.
Thank you.
I feel like I stay giving 90s.
I don't think I ever made it out of the 90s.
I like that.
I like that very much.
A. Rago,
just rewatch the last Starfighter.
Great movie.
You think it should get remade.
It's been in the works to get remade forever.
I don't know how it has any of it.
If there's ever a movie that should be remade,
it's that's one.
It's all the technology and all the video game stuff and everything they have now.
That's one.
I never saw it.
It's good.
It's essentially, yeah, it's great.
It's very 80s, but it's like, it's kind of got that ready player one type thing going on,
but I did it first.
Yeah.
I would love to see a remake.
And I know that they worked on it many times.
And I'm sure someone has it been working on it.
They just haven't cracked the code yet, but I think it'd be great.
Go Pal says, I'm assuming Roxy, or she looks like a girl I knew in the eighth grade.
There you go.
Hello.
Joshua Mosca.
Roxy, have you seen mentors the series on,
prime. It's a vibrant melodramatic Mexican musical murder mystery. It's pure fun and it co-stars
Mariana Trevino, the mom from Stick. Love it. I do love her. I haven't seen this. Unfortunately,
this is like the least cool answer I could ever give, but right now the Amanda Knox show is 90%
in Italian. And the Jason Mamoa show is 95% in
Hawaiian and I can't add any more subtitle shows to my list right now because at night I'm having
like a really hard time staying awake while I'm reading them. So I have to wait until I finish
some of my sub shows. I'm such a bad reader and I've bad eyesight and I know that's embarrassing.
Is it better with your glasses though? No, well, these are blue light. So it does help with the
strain but no, I need to get real glasses and I've been needing to get them. But also
Also, at nighttime, do you ever happen to you where you're reading?
And if you're just reading a lot, you get tired?
Oh, 100%.
And I don't have that much time in the daytime.
I watch most of my TV shows from the hour of midnight till 3 a.m.
So it's like just difficult for me to add another one.
I understand that makes me sound like a dumbass American.
But that's the truth.
Mike Joyce, here's some passion case Mike needs a snickers.
Oh, it makes it a good mood to them.
Matt at the movies, Batman 89 in theaters was a great experience.
The Dolby really enhanced it.
the way Jack delivers, you are my number one.
I got line is fantastic.
Do I miss this?
Was it there for the new,
Mike?
What was it just a special for one day?
It was just one night.
Yeah, they did Batman and then Batman returns like kind of back to back.
Yeah, I mean, there was separate tickets.
Who'd you go with?
But myself.
Oh, cool.
That's fun.
Yeah, man.
I'm not going to miss that.
That's fun.
It looked great.
AMC, the Dolby.
Yeah, the sound like, it really, like, I'm not a big fan of like where I'm going to go
see a movie, like as far as,
like Prime Dolby, but now having seen Dolby and Prime stuff, it gets spoiled.
But then I like the laser too.
Yeah.
AMC does a good.
They just do such a good job catering to whatever your theater needs you want.
Yeah.
Go, pal, probably one for the big nerds, but loving the peacemaker podcast with Gunn, Holland, Aege, and a sort of crew and cast.
Didn't you tell me, Roxy, this pretty good.
Did you listen to it?
I didn't.
I didn't.
Somebody did.
Maybe that came from Koi.
Maybe.
I don't think so.
I don't remember.
That probably would be good.
Yeah.
I think AG is the fucking unsung hero on that show, man.
That guy, his whole thing's like, you couldn't get a job at fucking athlete's foot.
Fucking killed me.
They still have that his foot?
He starts laughing.
But like, so you do like some of the bits.
Yeah.
Jokes and bits are different.
Yeah, but that seemed like a bit.
Yeah, but like there was bits in season one.
Yeah.
It's not that I, mine,
It's I mind bits out of that just seem like they're just to be a bit.
I'm curious your thoughts on the next few episodes of bits.
Mike Troy,
support for Roxy and her glasses.
Hell yeah.
Simon section.
Roxy and Georgia Real Reject's reaction to.
Peacemaker.
Loving the socks.
Are they poison ivy related?
Caught stealing,
I hope is not pretentious.
Mother page.
I don't know.
I haven't watched the trailer.
I haven't either.
I don't even know who's in it.
I mean, it's Dustin Butler.
You know that.
He's the only person I know who's in it.
Okay.
Yeah, I don't want to tell you then.
I know everyone who's in it because I've seen that trailer 50 million times this summer.
Oh, my God.
Are the socks, please not be related.
I don't remember the socks that I was wearing in Peacemaker,
but I will say that two things.
Number one, I wear different socks every episode.
And I always try to spice it up my socks and try to theme them.
And number two, I have a five-star rating on WikiFeat.
So it's very important to keep this all game up.
Here. Go, pal.
Wouldn't the casting be in a random store because they're going around the country to check on recruits rather than make everyone go to Metropolis?
Yeah, I think that too.
That part made perfect sense to me, but Mike and Christian are in the majority of people that I've seen.
Yeah, I didn't.
The location part of it, until Mike said it, I didn't really think about it, to be honest with you.
But it was more so, I didn't understand why Max Lord would be there.
And the other,
I thought about a great point.
He's like a tech genius, right, Mike?
Well, it depends on which version they're going with.
The guy that they're going with is the 80s Justice League
international conglomerant, big face of like a big company.
He even put together a brand of superheroes once and got like them sponsors.
They had like all these badges on them like race car drivers.
Look, I understand.
Yeah, him being there makes complete sense.
It's just like to me,
here's why the justice gang that we see at the end of Superman
is different than they are at the beginning of the movie so here they are and they regress
back to being we're just fuck-ups and we're gonna have this and that's like at the end of
Superman they became like oh we're gonna step up in game and we can be inspired by
Superman so now they're back being kind of turd dicky and roka
had made the point that you know max lord this is what I mean sometimes when the bit
overtakes the character is that max lord would be smart enough to realize that that thing is
more, you know, and it, uh, go pal.
Looking forward to Roxy Strange Darling Reaction.
Is that coming up?
I didn't know that it was announced yet.
Um, I watched it so long ago.
Oh, okay.
You never know when.
Um, that movie is amazing.
Did you guys see that?
Uh, no.
It came out last year, right?
It's a movie.
Mm-hmm.
And not only is it a movie, it's an amazing movie.
Oh my God.
I thought it was so killer.
Was that last year or this year?
No, I think it was December of last year.
Or maybe.
Who's in it?
The girl from.
Willa Fitzgerald.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And Giovanni Ribisi.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
RQ.
MDS.
What's that?
I was going to try and think of who the guy in it was that I really liked.
You let us know.
Support for Roxy, Mike and Mike's dogs.
Thank you to Mike's dog.
Yeah, that support for you guys.
Make a nice big part.
Kyle Gallner.
Oh, my God.
He is so good.
Oh, from the Flash.
No, from Swalville.
Okay.
Was he in Smallville?
Kyle Gellner?
Yeah, he would know.
Aaron.
He played the Flash on Smallville.
Oh, wow.
I didn't even put two and two together, Mike.
That's crazy.
Really?
All my knowledge, I'll tell you.
Superhero based.
If they're in superhero stuff, then I know them.
Well, here's some.
Wow.
Like that, Roxie.
how like there's you watch something you didn't put two and two together i've seen usual
suspects so many times i did not realize that john carlo esposito is has a pretty big role in that
movie oh i don't know that either yeah uh he's super young in it and i think the last time i watch
that you're i can't hear you harlo i don't know whose fault that is oh no what the fuck now wait
you can't hear me i can't hear you guys did you move me no you're just an absolute idiot bitch
sometimes you breast stinks i wouldn't tell you that in person though but uh
Look, look.
That's your go-to, Christian.
I can't hear you guys.
Yeah.
No, you can hear us.
You just don't want to hear us because your subconscious is telling you that you hear it going on here.
Horrible about yourself.
Your hat is something out of a fishing.
But Mike, think about it.
Think about everything that you need to do in your life.
I want you to look at yourself and realize that everything is going to be okay.
You'll be all right.
Look at you.
I've tested my headset and my microphone and it works on my end.
So what did you push on your end?
I didn't need it.
What you doing? Look at me.
Hey, hey, baby.
I'm going to log out and come back again.
Oh, no, don't do it. Don't be scared.
Aw.
Yeah, scared.
Anyway, well, we lost him, rocks.
We lost him.
It was nice while the last thing.
I don't know if I ever had him.
Oh, I love when that happens to him.
I don't know how it happens, but it's like a gift from God when it happens.
It only happens every once in a while, but like his,
his mic i mean he freezes his camera freezes all the damn time but like his mic will just
yeah he can't like mike works but you can't he can't hear us it's my favorite thing in the world
i absolutely i love it so much he's back hold on um okay here he is got him i don't know
i heard i talked it was all fine i don't know what can you hear us now great all right yeah
yeah i don't know that happens to you sometimes let me get the um now i got to bring this stuff
because Mike messed up the whole thing.
Oh,
see you probably push some damn button.
Right on.
Yes,
you did.
Fucking donut hole.
You're a fucking donut hole.
Donut hole.
Yeah,
that's true.
Our fucking donut hole.
You idiot.
Night 622 NYU.
Hey, Mike,
oh,
the specialist.
That score still slaps.
Dude, man,
John Barry and that score,
that's supposed to be coming out
in 4K soon.
And back to the question before that,
Streets of Fire,
man.
Yeah,
I just discovered that like a year ago.
I read like the synopsis and something.
I was like,
how do I not know what this movie is?
And it's awesome.
What happened I'm in?
You know,
why don't know how I know that I'm on the wrong show right now?
Why?
Because the biggest news on planet Earth just dropped.
And 14 minutes ago,
and not one person in the chat has mentioned it.
I had to wait for somebody to just text me about it and pop up on my screen.
That Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey just got engaged.
Oh.
Now, what do you say anything?
I'm going to tell me that.
That's a fart in the wind.
I mean,
it's a love story, baby.
Just say yes.
I thought they're not wanting to get anything.
No.
I have a song about it.
Who cares?
Who cares?
Do you know who cares?
Oh, everybody.
Billions of people.
Buster Barnes.
We still will still take two to three years to know if D.C. is saved, but it's also a good start.
I'm with Buster Barnes.
Though people need to keep expectations in check with Supergirl and Clayface.
Mike, I feel like you're going to say you agree with Buster Barnes.
Yeah, I do.
You said it a little bit at the top of the show.
You're seeing if Superman saved the sea.
It's going to be a few years.
You know, it's kind of like after Ironman and Hulk came out summer of 2008,
it wasn't like, oh, the MCU is going to be amazing.
Like I think, but I think that the good thing with Clayface and Supergirl,
from what I understand, the budgets are really small.
Yeah.
So I think Clayface is what, 40 million, which will.
That'll be small.
Yeah, that'll be.
That thing will be gangbusters.
If you get marketing behind it, yes.
And Supergirl, seeing the love of her in this picture.
And I actually just finished reading her world of tomorrow.
Woman of Tomorrow.
Like Mike Vogel got it for me at Comic Con because it was one of my things that I didn't have.
Dude, it will make a phenomenal movie.
If it's done right,
I don't want to know too much about the filming because like Mamoa with Lobo is that he's not in the book.
Yeah.
But there's stuff.
If they do it right,
could be great.
And especially keep the budget.
I would hope under $100 million.
I haven't been psyched until I really.
want to dive in and read a comment.
I think that this is one of those ones that I've,
everybody talking about it.
I've been really wanted to maybe check it out.
Rox, have you read it?
Yes, but I was talking to Koi about it recently,
and I was like, oh, I have to reread that.
So I remember, I remember absolutely loving it.
I remember, I think it was during Supergirls run that I was like,
wait, what's going on?
This is so different.
But I loved it.
And I'm so excited to.
If they,
if they lean into the otherworldliness of it and,
and the different planets,
it could be awesome.
I thought I had a copy here,
but I don't,
I don't know where it is,
movie back.
I got a copy.
9-6-2,
NYU.
9-21,
Tulsa King season three.
Yes,
got to watch,
rocks.
I'll be watching it also because I'm now,
I'm all cut up.
I know Tulsa King's still still on it just made me think of this.
Did you see that picture of Noah Centrino?
He's shooting,
uh,
street fighter right now.
No,
we were going to come in that.
Is he looking good?
But if he looks good for Street Fighter,
but if he keeps that for Rambo,
the guy looks great, man.
Really?
He could pull up, yeah, man.
Oh, okay.
He's got blonde hair right now because he's playing Ken Masters and Street Fighter,
but if he looks like what he's got going on,
he looks like a young Stallone.
I'm going to have to watch that warfare movie because,
A, everyone says it's great.
I didn't see that.
I want to see it, too.
And the other one is because, you know,
apparently he's pretty good at it.
So let's see.
Is that,
Roxy,
it made me think,
because warfare is Joseph Quinn and maybe Pedro Pescal.
You know,
he said Pedro and everyone's hating Pedro and Sydney,
I think just because they're everywhere right now.
Like Pedro's in,
Pedro was in three movies in like the summer.
So I think people just,
they negatively hate on that.
And the guys just have an actor.
Yeah,
Jennifer Lawrence.
How does everybody.
The guy's an actor.
Yeah,
it happened to her.
It's like,
and he's out there on the right carpet.
Like,
they went after his anxiety because of the way he is with women.
Yeah.
anxiety like not the things like i don't think the man i don't think the man goes for the women but
i'm i i happen to agree with you on that but i also think that you know but it's not out there
so you can't like speculate right exactly but what's that rocks even if he does i just i don't know
whether it's because i mean i'm not like a very affectionate person however with my friends like i would
have no problem if either one of you guys was in the room with me and i was not feeling good like
taking your arm first, holding your hand, like getting foot or something.
The rocks.
Perfect example.
It's like, look at you and I.
We had our little scuffle a couple weeks ago.
And people like, oh, Mike doesn't respect women.
And I was like, you don't know our relationship and you don't know for a nice history.
Oh, God.
I got.
I got.
They were sending clips of it.
They were clipping it out of me and sending it to me.
Like, read the comments on the channel.
Dude, you should see.
You should see they were like, this is a.
womanator, he's misogynistic, he's a
like it happens all the time. Some dopey
guy in the comments today, Roxy was in the middle
of saying something and your thing froze, which I do
no matter who's talking, and I put it on you and said,
oh, because it's being disrespectful to Roxy.
That's like, get lost.
You guys are so disrespectful
to me. The disrespect
on my name. But I'll
tell you this. Here's the last thing about the Pedro thing.
That I,
if Vanessa Kirby was
my wife, no matter what,
My wife.
You're doing the face thing and the holding and the rubbing on.
I'm like, stop.
You can hold his hand.
Hold his hand.
That's what,
that's what,
um,
William Defoe did.
Did you see that clip where he went to touch him to go's wife and
Willemdiffel's like,
no.
Stop this.
I don't think he cared.
I just think nobody cares.
All right.
All right.
It's funny.
A.
Rago,
what's that.
As a regular moviegoer,
I love going to the movies,
but ticket prices are expensive,
Chicago.
You're right.
It's 15 to 20 for a ticket and drink snacks, which are overpriced.
Also, most theaters don't have reclining seats, which sucks for long movies.
Yeah, it blows.
And it's one of the main.
I think it's probably where you are, bud.
Like, if you have an AMC theater, get that late A-lis, man.
I know, but it's a lifesaver.
It's true, but what if he's got it?
But it's also what if you're going with, like, especially for people.
You're right.
You're right.
I know.
I know.
For you.
I mean, it's a great.
If I, Mike, like you said, going to see Batman and all that stuff, too.
If I was 100%, you get that for yourself and you go and you go and you
make out like a bandit. But if you, if you've got four people that you're going with,
I know, man, I am, I know theaters, it's ridiculous what happened to them for, yeah.
All righty. Go pal, still weird that Patrick isn't Owen and Luke's brother.
Fair enough.
Joyous Romer. Support for Rock.
Oh, wow. Here we go. Just stop. Not again. Not again. Support for Rocks. May the
force be with you guys. Thank you, Joyce. Always. Thank you.
Aragos following it up.
Also, the younger audience has always talked over the movie, the worst.
So I much rather wait a couple months for the home streaming version on my 85-inch TV.
I don't think I'd ever go to the movies if I didn't go to press screenings.
I'm being honest.
I'll say this.
The great thing about the movie last night, the screening of the Batman one, it was all, I wouldn't say it's an older crowd, but it was people that were like, love that movie.
So it was silent.
Sure.
Silent the whole movie, except for the laughing and applause.
It was awesome.
I've never seen somebody whose picture matched.
handle as well as Araggo.
It's just like giving Arago.
Like that's your nickname.
Like if you people almost Arags.
Yeah.
Luke, uh, Luke,
support for Roxy coming in.
403. 10 from beating Roca.
10 for tying Roca. Excuse me.
10. Oh, man. We're still low.
11. 11 to beat 10 at time.
Um, I,
I, so we are now at, uh, as I said, 43 and Go Pal,
comes back in and says it's been going on 40 years since I read anything, Nornia,
but I recall being pissed when they started selling the books in this order in the 90s and
2000s. I'm curious how they're going to do it because of the lead character is kind of switching
up. So what does this mean? I honestly don't know well enough to understand this comment.
Well, I don't know about as far as how he's about how they started selling the books in the
order of how it goes back and forth. I just know the thing that bothered me about the books and the
and the movies is that you are asked to really get on Peter and his sister and
the first one and then they don't even go back in the second one it's about the
edwin whatever the second movie and then the third one none of the main kids are in it
and they jump in time so i don't know you want to get nuts let's get nuts is that good or no
it's not terrible it's it's better than owen wilson okay that is better than own wilson
yeah um go out in my day they use the publication order how many books are in the narnia
series yeah that's what i don't know
A ton. Screen bites nights.
My two favorite co-hosts.
Tell me what you guys think about the Tron series.
You pump for Ares. You are all
the dogs bollocks. That's a good
thing. Well, thank you. Dogs, Bulls.
Yeah. I don't know, man.
Like, I love Tron. When I was a kid,
like, that thing was awesome. You didn't
know what I was watching. But it was
cool, it was cool. But like, I was so
soured on the last one
because it was more. And again, it was
Kosinski. Like, it was
seen what he's become as a filmmaker.
Right.
I just don't know if they,
the technology wasn't there to do the,
Jeff Bridges deaging,
but it just seemed like it was more
style over function.
But this, I don't know.
This seems like a,
I don't know.
I'm excited.
I do,
I do want to love it.
This is another franchise I learned nothing about.
Um,
that's,
um,
that's it.
Tron,
well,
I,
I haven't seen the last one.
I mean,
you didn't see the last one?
I haven't seen it in a while.
I saw one of the first screenings, Ellison I saw in when we got critics screenings.
It was like 2010, I think it was when it came out.
So it was like an earlier ones.
But what I had found out is that Steph hasn't seen either one.
So I think those would be two that we'll probably wind up watching before Aries.
Neither of why.
Go pal, but I still hear lazy Sunday in my head for Narnia.
Same.
Okay.
Next one after that.
Again, 45.
What does that mean? Lazy Sunday? You don't remember Lazy Sunday from Saturday Live?
No.
Andy's Amber. Oh, my God. I don't either. Probably that. Of Narnia.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It was like one of the first viral things that came out.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Chris Krauss, Narnia book fan as a kid. I don't care about the change.
It's a talking Jesus lion in a fairy world. The female voice is what's too much fuel.
All right, Chris, well, Chris makes a stance. There he goes.
Chris. I guess a guest dance. I'm on the right show.
Who was Liam Neeson was Aslan in the last one, right?
Mm-hmm.
I think so.
Gleek the monkey.
I love that name.
The orgy scene was meant to show how Peacemaker is desperately trying to fill the void he needs
when a world rejects him.
It wasn't just a bit to me.
That's fair.
Okay.
I think you could have done it differently than, but I think you could have done the orgy.
It was just like, hey, look at this guy's tiny dick.
And look at this one.
This people's asses in your face.
Why were there so many people fucking?
I want to know, like, just the casting break.
that went out for that and who's doing it?
Like, right.
I think that very likely, my God.
Very likely, Mike, because I just experienced this recently, is they very likely went out
to sex workers, two people who were, like, I think that the casting breakdown probably
was for people who professed like you do.
You bury the lead, Roxy.
How did you just get involved in this?
I actually don't think I can really.
Did you go to a sex party?
Did you go to a sex party?
No, no.
I was in a movie recently where I was curious about how we had a bunch of people on
that I was like, how did these people, why, how did they get here?
And what did they?
And specifically they go out to, to make sense.
People in the community, yeah.
Okay.
I just thought it was, you know, people central casting and wanted their,
no,
D.C. show.
I doubt it.
I doubt it.
I don't, I don't remember what they're called, but there's a, the SW community or something,
sex work community, something like that.
There's like a whole network.
The longest call.
That makes sense.
That makes sense.
Aidan Koss.
being upset with Christians for not liking them using a woman as an allegor of the son of God is very strange when the same names in the chat get upset over characters like Batman, please find peace.
It's a matter.
I mean, it's not upset.
I think he's just saying that if you ask about it and you get upset about it.
I think that this is anything, was it very similar what we just talking about before with the criticisms on like peacemaker.
I think it's a matter of how you present yourself.
The problem is this.
When you present an argument, if the three of us had a conversation about it, none of us would,
about this. None of us have a conversation. We just agree and disagree and that's it in the chat,
it's like, well, and not everybody, but there are people that if I don't agree with you,
you are wrong. And that is not correct. And there's, and there's also these absolutes.
Well, Christian said that he doesn't like the opening. So that means he hates DC now. You're an idiot.
You're an absolute moron if you say that. You can say, I don't agree with you. I don't think that that's
true that. I actually feel that I like that song. Like Roxy said, it grew on me afterwards.
And Roxy said it perfectly.
Roxy and I don't see it all the time.
She talks about it like a human being.
And I don't say, well, Roxy, you just, because you like it,
I mean, you just love everything, D.C.
It's just stupid.
And you guys, you guys, I'm talking about the people in general who are saying this stuff.
What's the Christian part about this?
It's basically saying because that's what, that's essentially what chronicles and Ernie is.
It's based off of Jesus and everything, too.
It's a very, it's a very Christian story, the Chronicle book.
And so it's personal to Christians.
And so if they have, well, you know, it's not.
If you're changing it up, you're changing what the essence is.
They're not to have that opinion.
They're also allowed to have the conversation about it.
But people just are so sometimes in the absolutes.
It's like, I threw some idiot out before and in the chat because he's just like,
well, there is Christian talking about this.
It's like, have a conversation like a human.
It is possible.
I promise you.
Just because you're on the internet, you can have a conversation like a human.
Aidan.
Narnie is a series written by a Christian man and a Christian fantasy target audience.
I don't like my take fine, but it doesn't make me stupid.
No, exactly.
I agree with you.
You can have the conversations where people don't, like, if I think that it is fine to say,
if someone was like, well, it's Merrill Streep, they're trying a new take on it.
They're doing something different.
They're going back and forth.
You guys can have a debate about it, but it doesn't know, Aiden, it does not make you stupid.
Joyous Romer.
I didn't know if Narnie had anything to do with Christian.
Yeah, Aslan is essentially Jesus.
Joyous Romer.
Hey, Roxy, what do you think about the Star Wars skeleton crew?
I enjoyed it.
Yeah, I liked it.
Did you?
Remember, I talked about it every week on the show.
You did, you did.
Yeah, I like it.
Still haven't seen it.
I tried to watch it.
I tried to get back.
I said, you know what?
I'm going to try to actually watch it,
but I'm only going to watch it with my little one.
Yeah.
She watched 10 minutes in bailed.
And I said, that's a good way to watch it if she had wanted to.
She was like, I'm bored.
I was fine.
Mike Joyce,
in Eden,
Sydney Sweeney's character
gives birth alone in a hut
while being inconstable about wild dogs.
What's the strangest scene you've seen recently?
That's the strangest one I've heard.
What's the one in Immaculate with her
where she,
I don't want to spoil the end of the movie,
but the last scene in the movie is wild.
Oh, I don't know.
Do you want me spoil it?
Yes, why not?
She takes a rock and smashes her alien baby to death.
some weird shit going on uh joshro gonzales found them as i was binging the series myself
which which was that missed it what did he find i don't know something good something good uh
probably from a previous super jem sorry we got we got off on i got it off on a tangent joshua i
apologize um all right next i have you guys are 52 one away from tying roca too i was an alien
I was a demon baby.
It just looked like a little alien.
Michael Diagua.
I recommend you guys watch Snowtown,
based on the Snowtown murders in Adelaide,
Australia during the late 90s.
Brutal film, tough to watch at times.
It's hard for me to watch.
Snowtown.
I've never heard of it.
I don't know.
Okay.
Thank you, Michael.
I have to check that out.
All right, all right, right.
All right, right.
Edit the movies.
Hey, Christian, I watched The Last Dragon over the weekend.
I'm forever now in Search of the Glow.
Is a reaction to it on the docker for you and a crew member.
I love you.
Yeah, yeah.
I brought that up because of that.
Steph and I will be watching Last Dragon.
She had never heard of it.
So we're going to be saying, Mike, you love the Last Dragon, right?
I ever saw it.
But you know it.
Yeah, yeah, the 80s, Kung Fu, with, what's the main, what's the main guy's name?
Roxy, you remember it?
Oh, Bruce Lee Roy.
Bruce Leroy.
Bruce Leroy is the main guy.
Oh, oh, oh.
Come on.
You love the name.
I loved it.
Close.
You loved it.
You thought it was.
No, but I saw it in the chat.
Shep enough.
Yeah.
Show enough.
Show enough.
I did love that.
Yeah.
Calvin Battelle.
The answer is yes.
We'll be doing a reaction to it.
Calvin Patel,
huge news for Mike.
Travis Kelsey and Taylor-Sup's announced.
They're engaged.
What?
There you go.
Are you fucking kidding me?
How do you?
No way.
Does it freeze on the fuck out of here?
What?
Oh, Jesus.
Is you going to be married me?
Does your camera freeze on motion?
Is that what happens?
I don't fucking know, dude.
I don't know.
How could you,
Christian,
the way you just stepped on that was so upsetting.
I know.
I'm sorry.
I did.
I really wanted to.
He doesn't like bits,
Roxy,
so he ruined my bit.
That's something,
that's true about Christian.
He doesn't like fucking bits.
Hate bits on my own show.
Says the asshole that throws up big ballstering shows,
bits.
Guy doesn't like bits.
I didn't say it like bits.
Oh,
my clue.
All right.
I don't I guess my kids aren't going to watch us.
I'm,
I'm surprised in the kids, I think, on Thursday.
I'm going to take them to a water park.
Fun, but also disgusting.
You don't like water parks?
No, they're like literal germ pools.
You got the lazy river?
You got the lazy river over there?
Carlos, sit your ass and I intertube.
Mike is Max Lord's tech guy.
Here's the thing about that conversation from earlier.
we don't know which version they're going with
and like, do you guys feel
I understand he's a controversial figure
and I don't mean it like this, but like, do you
guys feel like there's no world in which
Elon Musk wouldn't remember
would like hit mute
on something? No.
You feel like there's no world in which he would
accidentally mess up? I mean
for like
a moment? Yeah.
It was happening all day.
Yeah, but nobody said
anything. Right. But it's like
So I don't know.
I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility that somebody who is a tech,
known for their tech industry.
Fair enough.
All right.
Let's see.
Simon section.
Watching Willem to phone Streets of Fire makes me wish she was cast as a Joker and a Batman.
He should have been at some point.
Or Ridler.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Dude,
Streets of Fire is awesome.
I don't.
I haven't seen it.
But I,
but I buy it.
It's a rock and roll opera,
comic book movie.
but it's just really cool.
RQMD, S&D, support for Roxy and Mike.
ZB, support for my favorite, useless.
What does that?
Cunt.
What's that from?
That's me.
Somebody has been writing on all my videos.
Roxy is a useless cuntz.
Wait, what?
That's a bit harsh.
A bit harsh.
Jesus Christ.
That's like nothing for Roxy.
Hold on.
Do really people, like, now, Roxie,
do you have a deal with it so much where it just gets off your back?
It's like, fuck off.
That one's funny to me because I'm not there to that point where people say shit like that to me where it's, I'm still like,
motherfucker.
I'm not being the person who's sitting there and is like, I'm going to call this girl.
I don't understand that.
I don't understand that.
Mike, you can be doing this for 40 years and you still get mad about it.
Come on.
Oh, damn it.
All right.
Go pal.
Lion Witch and a wardrobe was first published.
was the first book published.
Magician's nephew was the first in the chronology of Narnia,
and they bounced around Narnian time.
Ah. Okay.
There are seven books total, says Gopal.
Thank you.
Wow.
Okay.
Yeah.
That's not bad.
Okay.
56, 56, 56.
So far, you guys are in the lead at the moment.
You want to know, speaking of things like, you know how,
Roxy, you said you couldn't care less about this Narnia thing?
Yeah.
You know what I'm thinking about what I couldn't care less about right now
that's going to be coming out that's going to be big is the Potter series.
Oh,
I couldn't care less about that.
I didn't mean I don't care.
I'm excited for Narnie.
I couldn't care less about the Maril Street part.
But the controversy.
Yeah,
I think you're not alone about the Harry Potter series.
Mike,
I'm actually starting to wonder if this show's going to completely bomb.
I know.
Like,
you don't think so?
No chance.
Why?
It's going.
Now,
why?
Because it's Harry Potter.
So first of all, it is going to mark you.
I will bet you all.
I'm not, I'm not against you.
I'm just, I know you're not.
I'm telling me.
It's going to crush in opening.
Now, the question is, if it's not very good and not accepted in a Lord of the Rings type thing,
remember the first Lord of the Rings Amazon episode did very, very well.
Now, Harry Potter, if it does very, very well in the first, and it's people like it, it's going
to crush.
Um, that opening up, that first episode is going to do gangbusters.
The first one will, of course.
I agree.
I'm saying to sustain 10 years, which this thing is essentially going to be.
If the show is excellent, I think it's going to do very well.
Really?
Another reason why?
Percy Jackson is another example, right?
Now, here's the difference.
This is what people will say.
The Percy Jackson movies stunk to high out, right?
They, they, and book readers hated them because they were just because they weren't.
Then you got the sense to.
do, okay, hey, we messed up.
We're going to do this and make it a series.
And Reader didn't like it, everything to so you can say,
that's why they did a series.
Right.
Where the Harry Potter, yeah, but they're beloved.
But they're beloved.
But the difference is this.
And I can tell you, I read the first four.
I know what you're going to say.
There's so much detail that are missing from the books that you can easily
stretch out into long seasons that you might be able to see things.
Okay, so here's the thing.
Yeah.
Based on that.
Because I was not about Potter.
Like I was my generation, I was too old for it.
But there is that entire generation that they were, it got them into reading.
Like these people that are now 30s and 40s, they learned to read with these books.
And they came out at the right time.
It was 10 years.
The books were still being written when the movies were being made.
So it was just, it was this, it was all going on now.
Are kids they reading Potter?
Or are they being, are they growing up in a generation where J.K. Rowling is the Antichrist?
where this woman is awful,
like truly awful.
And these people reading them,
like, who wants to deal with her?
And that's her book.
Like,
there's so many people that...
I think you're back to the politics side of it too.
I think there's going to be a lot of people.
But it's a big thing.
You've got people that are reading of that age
where they're becoming teenagers and adults
where they're starting to find their place in the world
and where they want to stand on things.
That's a big thing, man.
I think it's going to have an effect.
But I also think, you know,
I also think it's Harry Potter.
Anyway, it's, it's going to do.
We'll see.
We'll see.
Okay, so.
Govast take dinner.
Yes.
Gunn talks a lot on the pod about that scene, so about the sex scene.
I'm sure he does.
Simon, did you ready to see Roxy?
Is that why you did this before?
Did I what?
Simon says, can we hear Roxy do the Keaton's scene as Yoda?
Oh, okay.
Nuts, you want to try to do that scene as Yoda?
Do you want to try to do that scene as Yoda?
Oh, do not.
Do you want to get nuts?
Let's come on.
Let's get nuts.
No, no, you got to read it the way that he wrote it there.
You got to read it like Yoda.
I just did.
Not you want to get.
Yes.
Nuts, come on.
Oh, oh.
Yeah.
Wait, do it again, Mike.
Nuts you want to get?
Okay.
Um, nuts.
Come on.
Let's get.
Um, um, um,
nuts you want to get.
nuts, come on.
Let's get.
So you want to get nuts?
Let's get nuts.
Come on.
Gary Bucy in the house.
You want to get nuts.
You want to get nuts.
Come on.
Let's get.
If someone's going to get nuts,
it's fucking Gary Bucci.
He's already there.
I am too much sausage.
Sclenar as Bruce.
Don't see it.
He seems limited in my opinion.
Have you seen 1923?
Let me ask you a question.
Now you have to follow it up.
I am two flag camp.
If you saw 1923, then I'm going to go, okay, if you didn't see it, you can't write stupid shit.
If you saw it, as Roxy said.
I'll say this because I haven't seen, but it seems like everyone is only basing it off this one performance.
I think it's, and again, it's, I'm in the Twitter bubble, so I don't know.
It almost feels like this campaign is backfaring against him because so many people are now saying no about him.
Well, Gunn just watched 1923, so.
I know.
I think there is a very high chance that he is cast.
And I think you're going to be very happy.
And I'll think you're going to be very happy here.
Oh, I think.
No, do you know who I think is going to be Alfred?
If it's Timothy Dalton, dude, that is winner-winner chicken dinner.
1923, man, 19-20.
I've just seen a couple.
Some did fan art of him as Bruce Wain where he's all kind of clean-shaven and his hair all done up.
And the guy looks great.
And he's a lifelong martial artist.
So he's got the athleticism for the role.
I'm on board, man.
But Timothy Dalton?
Timothy Dahl? Hell yeah, man.
They're both in 1923.
I know, I know, man.
Do you get Timothy Dalton in there?
Me, I'll have number one, no pickles with a sprite.
That's it. Cachier, anything else?
What am I missing?
I have the number one, no pickles with a sprite.
That's it.
She's just being like, I get it.
He's just like, that's his order.
I said, that's it.
Anything else? He's like, no, I said, that's it.
Support. Go pal.
Snowtown.
Here's a movie of Wonderland about the Wonderland murders with Al Kilmer.
John Holmes.
Oh, John Holmes.
Elephant penis.
All right.
Buster Barn.
You can tell the Sclerf fancast has hit the mainstream when it's getting hate from the influencers on X
who haven't seen anything he's been.
That's my point.
That's what's coming from.
And I'm also not going to say if that last superchap person because he said he seems limited.
If you saw 1923 and you're saying that, then we can never debate about it.
If you didn't see it, I'm not taking your comments serious.
I'm just not.
So I want you to respond and say, have you seen that?
Let me see answers. Yes.
Okay, then we can debate it.
Go pal.
Lord thought the switch he used, muted the mic.
We're right, but he's supposed to be smarter than that.
I don't know that it's supposed to be smarter than that.
In the comics, he is.
No, in some.
It depends on which one you're using with him.
Okay, okay.
He definitely manages a lot of people who are very smart.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Um, again, it wasn't enough for me that I was like, you know,
sucked out of it. I just said, it didn't work.
I know, I know. I heard $2 notice that you skipped my earlier $10.
Which was it? Which was it? What was your? I got to find out which one it was.
Let me see. You know what? Let me see if it sometimes this happens.
Do you want me to go digging?
No, not yet because I can sometimes, I just haven't been checking it as much on the YouTube
side of things because it's been covering all of them, but maybe we missed it.
It's just very possible. So Mike's movie madness. No, I did. Oh, Mike's movie
Madis actually started us off Roxy and said,
Roxie, I just watched a strange darling reaction.
That was my number two movie of last year.
Willa Fitzgerald is a star.
Christian definitely wanted to react with Tina.
Okay.
Star. I found Tyler's.
And that's never fixed Mike's internet in it.
Do you want me to read Tyler's?
Yeah, please.
In my honest opinion, changing Aslan is full
departure from Lewis's story.
It's removing a foundational, a foundational wall.
Most changes don't change a character's essence.
this does. No hate, no protest, just won't be watching.
Fair enough. It's fair. I mean, fair to say. Again,
opinions are opinions. And I think, again, you didn't say anything disrespectful in there.
Respect. My choice, Amazon is making a young adult focus, Wizard of Oz show.
I guess writing the hypo wicked. They have just, yeah, that's exactly what they're doing.
What? What could it be? I don't know. Like, is it maybe about the Emerald, I don't know.
that also yeah this this i agree with michael de aguard roxy you could probably do a solid stitch
in person 100% ohana means family and family means no one that's left behind pretty good yeah
there you go and and just so you guys know Yoda in stitch sound the same to me oh well they don't
right yeah um okay well we did it on two different levels we hit all the questions um oh no we
didn't. Now we did. Paul Hitchcock finished. Remo
Williams, the backdoor, Reamer Williams, excuse me, the backdoor
venture begins. Someone surprised that like Remo Williams is a third act,
a climax on a statue. That's, that's pretty good.
I didn't understand one word of that. So Remo Williams is an old school
1980s movie that Mike brought up last week and excellently, I don't like to
give my credit, but excellently cast John Bernthal as
Rima Williams in a reboot. It was one of my favorite casting fan cast.
And then somebody said instead of Remo Williams,
going to do Reamer Williams, which is a porn.
Joyous Romer.
Hey, Roxy, what's your favorite show of the year thus far?
I'm having a hard time picking because, like,
severance is my favorite show that's on right now.
But I don't know because dying for sex was the show
that impacted me the most this year, the number one show.
Dying for sex.
Oh, oh, my.
That's really creepy.
Did you, you don't remember me talking about that show every single week?
I heard you talking about it, yes.
I thought that that show was like truly life-changing.
I thought it was so, so, so good.
Joe for show here, Roxy, I feel like this should be reversed
because I feel like I know the answer if it was reversed.
Joe for show, if Gunn announced tomorrow that Christian is the new Batman,
how mad would Roxy be and how Syke would Mike be?
I think it's the opposite.
Maybe it's the point of the question, but I think it would be,
Roxy would be the one who psyched and Mike.
No, I don't think it, I don't think that that's the point of the question.
Christian because I think that people on the show,
some people just like truly have made up
their mind that I'm a different person
that I am. It's so weird.
I don't know. Roxy would be thrilled
for me. I like me too, to be
honest. But he'd still be
like that bastard. How did he get it and not me?
Yeah, exactly. And then I would say, how
did I get it over Mike?
Joshua Gonzalez. Was Roxie's Friday
Thursday, wait, was Roxie's Friday 13th videos
So it wasn't Halloween, you stumble
on Friday 13? That's awesome. I'm so happy
that you're there. Thanks for watching.
Tyler, so we missed his too.
Okay, let's say.
You're cheating us on, cheating us on questions, Harloff.
Yeah, I don't.
Let me see, Tyler, I can fight.
Tyler, five, for-
Recount, recount.
I did the me.
I'll have a number one Pickles with no Sprite.
Is there another one?
Yeah, you did that.
In my opinion.
Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler.
Tyler, do your daily Tyler.
See, never fix Mike's internet connection.
I see it got to that one already.
Have you a new one from Tyler?
just now no that was it
no we have a new one from Tyler
you know but I got it
Tyler breaking news
Mel Gibson cast Florence Pierce Jesus
and the resurrection of Christ
there'd be another one
yeah it was Tyler that was that was
we got him we got everything
that was all that's there
maybe didn't come through
all right so so we actually have 67
that's that's because two
there weren't registered so 67
is what's in there right now
I think I would watch Cash into the Christ
if that happened
well there you go
67
Mike and Roxy in the lead with Chris Carr up next to see if she can take them out.
But Roxy, what's going on?
Where can they find?
Everywhere at Roxy Stryor live on Wednesdays and Sundays on my channel,
YouTube.com slash Roxy Stryor.
Mike Kalanowski is me.
Now, it's perfect.
Right here.
Yeah.
You know, where you find me online, Twitter.
I love that.
I guess, yeah.
Well, I want to thank you guys for being here and
general and thanks for Roxy and Mike being here and I know we started we actually ended up close
enough to on time. But I have so much going on this week. Like I said, we're going to do a caught
stealing out of the theater reaction. That'll be out tonight. I'm going to try to get the return
to the king up. If I don't get it up there before I leave, I'll have to get it up to either today
or tomorrow morning. That'll be up there Thursday. I've got, um, I probably might have back to the future
with Steph, I'm not sure, but Friday, definitely usual suspects. So much.
Shooting so much. I'm shooting South Park with Ming soon. Check that out. Good possibility that I'm
not here on Thursday. I'm not sure. And Tyler Fred said, oh, I'm behind. Sorry, no problem.
So that's now 68. 68 because of them. Anyway, you guys work. You're the best. So I don't know what
means you guys work, but you know what I'm saying. Peace out. You guys rule. And we'll see on the flip side.
