Predator Badlands latest movie in the Predator franchise I saw last night.
1201 means that the embargo lifted, and I can give a non-spoiler review on the film.
Is it the best Predator movie so far?
We'll talk about that for sure.
Interesting article that was thrown my way at the last time.
Last time, whatever that means, at the last minute.
But apparently, there's a new movie out called Anniversary.
And there's a report from the rap, right?
rather, that there's potential that Lionsgate buried due to political reasons.
So what's that all about?
Is that going to start happening more with movies?
Wicked for good is eyeing 112 million to 150 million opening weekend.
Is it going to cross that Billy?
We shall see.
It's going to be some TV news and other things.
So let's get into it, everybody.
It's myself.
Right now it's Roxy Stryor.
Is Mike going to make it?
It's possible.
But I'm going to pretend that he's not.
Why? It just makes me feel good. So that being said, let's get into it. Here's the show. It is a
Christian Rale's show with myself and Roxy. Will Mike show up? I wish I knew. We'll find out.
Welcome back to the show, Beef Stew, everybody. And it is nice to have you all here.
Roxy Stryor is here. Michael Kalanowski is here. Look at that guy.
What's up, beef stew?
Yeah, that's right.
It's beef stew and gillicuddy to you, my friend.
That's you.
Beef stew.
So I like this crew.
I like what we got going on here on this Tuesday.
Everybody looking good.
We're looking sweet.
And we're ready to get into some stories.
Roxy, I don't never know anymore because I figure that with the reactions and everything.
Sometimes I used to know, like it was a new release coming out.
No, I haven't seen a predator movie ever.
Oh, that's right.
You told me that.
You told me that last week.
So you're, are you going to be covering those?
They just did them without me.
So I'm not exactly sure.
I did react late last night, got home at 1.30 in the morning because I was watching Blackphone too.
Okay.
Yeah, I saw that that drop for you guys too.
So it was good.
That movie.
Doing the new releases sucks.
Oh, because you can't go to the theater anymore.
Because you can't go to the theater.
You have to react at midnight.
Oh, you drop them that because you wanted to, you wanted to drop right as it releases.
You?
Not you, but you guys.
You guys.
Yeah, I mean, you know, the channel is big enough that it makes a difference.
Sure.
So, yeah, yeah, if we don't get screeners for something.
Yeah, I had to go there.
I was there.
Yes, solely last night.
Happy to do it, but like, I'm so tired today.
I mean, I didn't go to bed until like 5.30 or 6th in the morning.
So it's just like.
That's tough.
Did you, um, did you guys?
do or maybe I should say
did you do for them? Did you do the long walk?
No, and everybody
keeps telling me that that's the number one movie I
should do. I love that movie so much.
Watching it the second time, you see realize
how much I just love that movie. I'm listening to
there's one particular track on the score.
It's called, the track's called Olson, and it's just
so powerful. It's a great piece of music.
Koi went to that thing.
Yeah. He had
to walk for the whole movie.
That seemed really cool. Do you guys think you could
do that? I wouldn't want to do it.
It ended up being, I think it's like six miles.
Yeah, I wouldn't want to do that. To watch the whole movie while I'm walking, no, I'm good.
I like, it's good gimmick, but no thanks.
I walk a lot, so, yeah.
Yeah, that's good. I asked you think you could do it.
Maybe. I know I could do it. How about that?
Yeah. Mike, did you, um, are you excited about the Predator movie?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, we're about to get into that. And we're going to talk about kind of the first reaction
now and I'll give a non-spoiler review in just a moment.
But yesterday, yeah, I saw it last night.
Yesterday I gave Roxy some the flowers, as the kids say or some props.
I got the sweetest text message in the world from her the other day.
I was on a, I think it was Sunday, Rox, when it was.
Yeah, probably.
And it was just so nice.
I was having a good day in general hanging out with the kids.
But then Roxy just wrote me like this really nice message about the script.
She had read it and had just very complimentary things to say.
and I respect her opinion so much because she watches so much damn TV,
and we are going to be doing that,
that when she had read it the first time,
she,
and I don't want to,
I'm not going to just speak,
give all of Roxy's thoughts here,
but I,
but she liked it,
gave some really solid notes.
We incorporated a lot of those notes and then,
I don't know,
like it was,
you're,
I just want to be honest,
a question,
you incorporated every note of mine.
Right.
Which I was,
joked about,
I don't mean like I gave you the,
no,
no, no,
I had no lasting notes.
I just had one thing that I just had one thing that I
mentioned to you that was not a note. It was an idea. I loved your idea. And I mentioned it yesterday
on the call. Good. Yeah. I talked about your script on Live at the Roxy this week. Oh, did you?
Yeah, because I loved it. And I talked about like whatever I want on my show. So obviously I didn't
talk about it. No, I know what you mean. The fact that you read it. Say it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I've been
talking about your script all over town, Groschen. I mean so much to me. And I'm so glad that you liked it and enjoyed it.
Awesome.
And so an update for both you guys and the audience.
We had our like a really great Kickstarter conversation yesterday with the director,
producer, attack Peter came in and he has run a few different campaigns.
And I got to tell you offline, rocks, like what we're going to do with it.
And to be honest, the director and producer kind of came up with the idea of what will the audience will have an opportunity to do.
And I don't know if anybody's done something like this.
I very well could have been,
but I feel like people who are interested in the entertainment business,
this could be a different type of campaign.
And it's because of who's involved that we're going to be lucky enough
to be able to offer this kind of stuff to people.
But the idea is essentially to give more access to people who want to get into this business,
this will be able to do that through this campaign.
Cool.
when are you able to start telling people what's going on?
I mean, who's attached to it and all that?
Yeah, who's attached, what the campaign might look like,
what your goals are, like any information for the peeps.
Well, I think the goals are going to probably come within the next couple of,
and the Kickstarter itself probably come hopefully within the next couple of weeks.
The first was just making sure we're all familiar with it.
Peter's going to be, he really has become just such a close friend.
and he's so he's so helpful and he's got he's so supportive that he's got really great ideas
like he and he cares about his fan base so much and he understands like who are you talking about
right attack peter do you know peter the the the artist oh okay yeah he well he's on he was on my d te
show all the time he's he's a he's a he's a really talented artist um and he's fine artist
he's um like where is that i'm trying to show i have some of his stuff um he does like uh
let me bring up some of peter's art you know who this is mike
I don't.
Okay.
And he's been on the show beforehand.
So this is kind of, I mean, I'll show you.
I just looked him up.
Yeah.
Sorry, Peter.
I do not know this man.
I'll show you, you know what?
Because he's been helping me also.
I want to give him his flowers.
So check this out.
This is some of the stuff that he does.
If you see this right here.
This is kind of his, some of his art.
And he's, I mean, he's super, super established creative, creative guy that.
Cool.
Yeah.
So how did he get involved with the project?
Well, so he, he was a fan of like Collider Live and, uh, and schmose and, and everything
else, too.
He's been following us for a bit.
But when I was working at skybound, um, and I had my office at skybound.
I remember him, he was, he lives in Florida, but he walked in and he doesn't follow me on
Instagram, Christian.
That'll change.
because he watches the show.
And now he's saying he doesn't follow me on Instagram.
So I don't feel as bad about not knowing.
That's fine.
So anyway, he,
he's just been,
we've just been buddies like a bit of sense.
And so when I,
when I was talking to the director of producer about we were going over
because we're both,
we're all trying to get familiarized with Kickstarter and everything too.
So they were like,
did you have somebody that we could really,
that we could talk to about this?
I was like,
yeah, I do actually.
So I called Peter and he was,
And he read the script and he really, he was, he called me about it kind of similar to what you did.
He was really, he's like, this kind of show needs to come back.
Like, we don't have these kinds of shows anymore.
And I was like, yeah, I sure hope so.
And so he got on the phone.
He was great.
He was on the phone with them and going over like the stuff that we need.
And then when I was listening to, I was sitting in the city listening to them talk.
And they're going back and forth about like a pinch me moment.
Well, it was, it was definitely that, but it was also listening to what the director and producer wanted to.
Mike, don't look so excited.
What the director and producer wanted to do about the campaign itself.
And I'm saying to myself, oh, wow, you know what?
If I was on the other side of this thing and I was listening going, oh, I can,
I can actually do that through this campaign.
I'm like, that's exciting.
That to me, it's almost like offering things that I don't want to give away.
Yeah, I don't want to.
I just don't want to say too much yet because I also want to make sure that the director and
producer can do it because they're going to come on the show and explain it.
Yeah.
All right.
I have breaking news about attack Peter.
Oh, go ahead.
This will be of interest to you.
You and I are in the same boat, buddy.
I want you to know this about attack Peter.
Attack Peter follows.
Mark Ellis, Steph Sabra, Brett Sheridan,
Christian Harloff,
Toygandro, John Roker,
going deeper.
Wendy Leisaney, Mark Riley,
Adam Havik.
Mike Kalanowski?
Ben Gunn.
daughter. Okay.
Sabrina Ramirez, all people who have made appearances on the show.
Who are the only two people from this show?
You too?
That tracks.
Not tracks.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, there you go.
Well, Peter, I bet you that'll change it for today.
Yeah, I'll change your flowers.
And I'm going to give you the truth.
Fair.
Well, so anyway, so that's where we, that's where we stand.
And there's some great stuff kind of happening.
So anyway, let's get into some topics here, guys.
Let's talk about what is going on.
And I'll tell you the same thing yesterday.
I dropped a couple of Marvel scoops that I had gotten.
And it was after Roca had hit 90.
So I'll do the same thing here today.
If they hit 90 today, I'll give the remainder of the scoops of what I've got.
That'd be cool.
Christian, Mike and I did very well last week, but we didn't win.
And actually that means that I haven't won in a long time.
Long time.
So if we get to,
if we get to 90 and I'll drop another one.
All right,
but this is not a scoop.
This is just what's going on with Predator.
That's not Predator Balance.
That's Mike.
That's Mike.
That's Peter.
Attack Peter.
That's Pat Peter and Mike.
What's happening?
Peter didn't attack Roxy and Mike.
No, not at all.
But the good news is this.
I'm just going to leave Mike up there for a little bit.
Mike and Mike said so much.
Christ.
Hold on. Let's get to it. Here it is. Perfect. Wonderful. All right. Let's get Mike out of there. Thank you, Mike. Bye-bye.
Oh, is that true from the chat? What? Dick Cheney just passed away? I didn't see that. Yeah, he died. Yeah, he died early.
This morning. I don't know why this is. Don't know why I can't. I don't know why I keep getting Mike in there. Oh. Wow.
Yeah. Perfect. Okay. Let's get to this here. Predator Badlands.
wrong one this is just killer being killed okay it's more social media reaction plan
okay so last night i saw this movie i didn't know what to expect from it but here's some of
there's a featurette that dropped from this i'm going to necessarily go over the featurette but
the dan trachnervers predator balance arrives in theaters this Friday and 20th century studios
has released a new clip another press screening for balance took place earlier last night and more
reactions have been shared uh tragic it looks like he is three for three
the new life into prey.
So the full embargo is lifting right now.
So anyway, it's just a drop.
There's, the Predator Baylands is peak.
The best predator yet, says Jonathan Sim.
It emphasizes with Predator and offers an action-pack ride with gorgeous visuals.
Demetris Schuster, Pelleman Kahlo Matangi, and Ella Fanning are the perfect duo.
It builds the world with so much fun.
Eric had a blast of Predator Baylands.
This was vicious, violent, but also wholesome.
Love how it expands.
the predator lore while also being badass monster brawl for two hours uh david crowd predator balance
is pleasantly charming throwback to old school genre movies okay so i will say that let's start with this
question is it the best predator movie so far no it is not uh predator one is still the best
you're not gonna you're not gonna touch predator one it's damn good though it's a damn good movie um and i was
this is very similar, I guess, in the way that I'm going to feel about
he man masters of universe. Because when this
first of all, when Shane Black who I love,
got a hold of the Predator franchise, everybody was excited about it and just put out a
complete fart piece. I mean, that thing was, it was terrible. It was terrible. So you
get to a place where I hated it. It's terrible. It's terrible. So you haven't seen any of
the predator things, Ross. He doesn't seen it. That's the joke. That's the joke, Mike. So the
conversation overall was like we've talked about on this show is the predator franchise dead
is this dead and we've said it many times if you get the right person involved it can you can
breathe life back into it you just got to get the right person Dan Trachshenberger seems to be
that person they put prey out and it was I got a chance to see it in the theater but it wasn't a
theater movie it was a it was a Hulu exclusive does very well for Hulu it goes it goes very well with
the fans. It scales back
budget. It goes back into the old
school kind of feel of what the original
term predator was all about.
And then he goes and makes Killer of Killers, the animated
one, which gets a lot of fans on board
and a lot of people digging it and buzzing
about it. So he now
does this movie. And this movie
to me, I saw the trailer. I saw one trailer
for this. Did you guys see either one of the trailers?
Because Roxy, probably not because you just feel you'd been lost.
So Mike, did you see the trailers?
I did. Yeah, I liked it. Okay.
So I saw the first trailer. And when
I saw the first trailer, I was like, I don't know.
This guy looks kind of puny for a predator.
I don't know if I'm digging the hair.
I don't know.
This looks goofy to me.
I'm like, I'm not excited about this movie whatsoever.
So I didn't watch any more trailers.
I'll see it when I see it.
Everybody else sending me trailers, you got to watch the new one.
I'm like, nope, I'm good.
I'm going to see it anyway.
But in the same way that I'm,
was hopeful for the Masters Universe because of Travis Knight,
I said, well, Trachberg seems to know this franchise.
This is,
this is just a cool science fiction movie about an end.
I was curious how they're going to do it and make it work with just a predator.
It's just one predator.
Now, there's some people that are going to be,
it doesn't follow the normal structure of a predator movie.
It just doesn't.
It does combine, you know,
the alien and predator franchise and there's things going on inside of it.
That's pretty interesting.
But overall, it's a different movie.
I mean, you have to root for the predator.
You're rooting for the predator.
He's your, he's your protagonist.
And I think they do a pretty good movie.
job of making you care about him setting up what it's about. I loved the visuals inside of it.
And I like the planet that they set up. And there's some people maybe they will get, you know,
pissed off about it overall. But I thought it was pretty damn good. I don't know. You're going to
see the theater, Mike? You sure am. Okay. Predator questions from somebody who's never seen
predator so that you're not talking to a wall. Christian. Number one, does the predator talk?
So the answer to that is yes.
Cool.
And so what I was...
Like cool sentences?
Yeah, but so what I was concerned about, because when it starts, you know, it's his native language and he's talking to somebody in his native language and you're like, okay, are they going to do this the whole movie?
Subtitles with the predator language?
I'm like, that's going to be a balsy chance choice there.
So he talks in his predator language the entire movie.
Hmm.
But...
And?
But what they did that I thought was very smart was in the way.
way that they did for like avatar too you know like when jake sully like lets people know that he's
speaking navi but we are hearing english because to him it just sounds like everything it sounds like
so that was their way to explain it so dakota or rather el fanning is um plays a uh what's a synthetic
so um she is speaking to him but he's hearing he's he's hearing his language but we're hearing
English. Okay. And
there's just synthetics running around the place. And that's why, because I
was also concerned about PG-13.
Movies PG-13. I'm like, oh, why are we
doing that? I'm like, that's going to be, you don't need to do. What are we doing that for?
You've got to be gory and violent. That's what the predator movie is. It's
going to be terrible. Or all the other predators are?
All the good ones are all rated are. And
because it's synthetics and everything else, too, and other creatures.
That's what I told you last week. You're right. You're right.
It's violent.
It's super violent.
Didn't bother me at all, at all.
It didn't notice.
Yum nuts.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I thought it was solid.
I thought it was solid.
My favorite,
I did see.
And I had,
and I,
and I pulled to Kalinowski,
and I only did it once.
And I'm only in it once because I get,
I get the note.
I saw some guy the other day.
He's like,
yeah,
come in here to wait for Christian.
Why do you pay attention to the comments,
man?
I go every once in a while I do.
Every once in a while I do.
And I was going through the predator ones.
And I had to, sometimes like, it's just, I guess, who I am.
I just needed to do it.
There was some guy who goes, paid review.
And I wrote back, I wrote more on comment.
No, is that?
That's all I did.
You proud of yourself for that one?
Super proud of myself.
Good.
Yeah, they say not to interact with the trolls,
but I actually feel so much joy every time I do.
It's hard to stop myself.
I'm looking up the rotten tomatoes for this, and it's not out yet,
but you gave your full review just now.
What's up with that?
12 o'clock it dropped.
It'll be out soon.
12 p.m.
EST.
You're going to fucking review police here.
I don't know. It's fair.
She's trying to protect me.
I get it.
I am the review police, in fact, Mike.
I sure hope that was.
You've been arrested on account of reviewing.
Reviewing.
Breaking embargo.
Right.
No, I just was curious if other people enjoyed this as much as you did.
And usually when it's 20 minutes over, there's something on the popcorn meter
or tomato meter, but nada.
Nothing.
You know what?
Let me double check.
You do that.
I'm going to see if I broke embargo just now.
I know.
Let me see.
I hope not.
Let's see.
The review embargo lifts at 11-4 at 12 o'clock Eastern.
It is certainly that time, and we know it's that time because you're eating beef stew,
so it's not the morning.
Indeed, I am.
Yes.
Strogan up over there.
What did you say, my?
just called to be stroganoff i can't hear you mike what you're saying i always mumble that second word
because i don't know how to say it that's fine stroganoff yeah all right
all right strogan off listen to me uh put your thoughts in there about predator badlands are you
gonna see it this weekend you can check out because that's it's not guarantee it doesn't matter
how many people dig it that people are going to like this movie or go see this movie in the theater
um i wonder what you guys think about it put your thoughts in there let us know we're gonna come
and we're going to talk about another movie that's definitely going to do well in the box office.
That's wicked.
Part two.
But before we do, true classic.
I'm wearing them.
I wear them every day now, guys.
I wear true classic.
Look at these shirts.
I love these shirts.
True classic.
And I'll tell you about Factor.
There you go.

And nothing could be more true than that with Factor.
Oh, I love Factor.

True Classic I talk about it.
I mean, I don't know if you guys have seen me in anything outside of True Classic recently.
No idea.
Anyway, we're aiming for...
True Classic's got great jackets.
Dude, the jackets.
I'm getting a hat, I think, for myself for Christmas.
I love everything they have.
I mean, they're jeans.
I mean, yeah.
I feel bad talking about them because I know it's a sponsor and I don't want people
think I'm like shilling, but
I don't buy any other t-shirt for true
classic. I've done them for years.
I found out they had a store now. They got a store here.
Yeah, you told me that. Come in Oak's a gallery. Yeah, man.
Oh, no way.
Yeah. Yeah. Two questions for you. Because a lot
of people, a lot of people sometimes are like online.
They're not sure about their sizing, but
they're really good about returning. Because when I first got them, I didn't know
between the small and the medium, which I like better.
What's the answer?
I'm a medium.
Yeah. Because the shirts are designed to me.
Own that proudly.
What's wrong with that?
No, I'm a medium also.
It's like I like a fitted shirt, but like if you get like a generic t-shirt at the store,
like it's baggy on a media.
That's why I would get a small.
I love these.
I love the way these fit.
They're great.
And you can wear them anyway.
Yeah, you can wear them outside to the gym.
You can wear them to the gym.
You can wear them to an event.
It's the best.
So use the code, Mike.
So you get some.
Get your ass,
I will.
You kidding me?
For sure.
And that's it.
And the question too, Mike,
I just double check.
Your earbuds,
are they connected to the,
to the mic?
What's going on?
Just double check.
What do you want?
What do you want?
I want to make sure that those are connected.
So we're fighting for.
It very well could be.
I don't know.
They're connected.
Hold on.
How about now?
Is that better?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's get to this one,
because.
I know Roxie's excited.
Yeah.
We're good.
I know that a lot of people are, my, my family, my daughters are pumped for this one, man.
This movie is going to make a lot of money.
And it's going to be in the Oscar conversation, I think, for sure.
Wicked for Good is eyeing a 112 million to 115 million opening weekend in North America.
They're going to tell us, but I wonder what the first one did.
It goes without saying that Wicked for Good will be November's biggest movie.
And according to the latest box office, tracking the sequel opened in the same ballpark, okay, as 2024 is Wicked.
2025 hasn't been a particularly strong year for movies with only one U.S. release, Lilo and Stitch,
managing to surpass one billion worldwide. Avatar Fire and Ash is bound to be a hit this December,
but Wicked for Good promises to dominate November.
According to deadline via the SFF Gazette.com, the Wicked sequel is currently eyeing a 112 million
to 115 million weekend in North America. That places it around the same ballpark as the first movie,
which debuted with 112 last year. With less competition this year,
Utopia 2 isn't likely to be a success on the same level as Gladiator 2 and Moana 2.
Really, it will be interesting to see how Wicked for Good can soar.
The trade explains Wicked for Good is the first choice with women over and under 25,
is ahead of Wicked by respectively 5 to 2 points,
and it's also way ahead of Lilo and Stitch, which 146 million.
Unaided Awareness for the sequel,
the category by which pollsters cite a movie they want to see
without being prompted in a survey is spot on with the original.
Wicked was a hit in 2024, grossing 400,
73.2 million in North America for a globalcum of 756.4, whether wicked for good can soar beyond that and reach a billion remains to be seen, but as science points, the sequel being one of the year's biggest financial hits, filmmaker John Chu was recently asked about the possibility of the second one being released together with intermission, similar to the musical version of this tale. He said, absolutely. I may be one of the very few people, including the studio. I don't think the studio has done it, but I've done it. Both my editor and I, we watched it both back to back. It's all.
new experience. It's great. It's wonderful. And I wouldn't do a 15 minute intermission. I do a 13 minute
intermission because it's 13 hours on the clock in Oz. I like that. That's cool. Um, okay. So,
this is our nice, nice, nice, nice shot, Mike. Perfect. I mean, the guy is just a pro inside and
out. I mean, he really is. There's something. Um, anyway. So wicked for good. Wicked part two is coming
out. And we're going to have this. Yes. We're going to have this conversation.
that you and I always have.
Now we have about Superman and other things too.
The first question I have is,
do you think that this movie makes a billion dollars?
So why?
If not, why not?
I'm looking right now at what it's up against.
What is rental family, Christian?
So on November 21st-
That's a small movie with Brendan Frazier.
It's a Fox searchlight.
It's no competition.
Okay, so rental families,
Sisu 2, and Wicked are the three biggest movies
of November 21st.
And they have the,
they have the theaters
until November 26th, only five days a half week later with Zootopia 2.
Right.
And then coming into it the week before we've got,
now you see me now, you don't.
We've got the running man.
Right.
Keeper, muzzle and trap house.
So obviously the biggest competition for this,
crazy enough would be Zootopia too,
just in terms of like what's the biggest movie getting butts in theaters?
Why'd you just give me wide eyes, bro?
Me? No, because I just got a thing that popped up on the screen right as you were saying that.
What is saying?
It's something else.
Who's to say if I've been changed for the better?
I think that this movie will not make a billion because I have a couple of reasons.
Number one, I know the play because I've seen it and I know the music.
It's darker, right?
And it is, it's slightly darker, but more importantly for the purpose,
of this, the two biggest songs in the movie are in the first half, or in the show or in the
first movie. So when you have popular and defying gravity there, and I think that they'll do
some kind of reprise and they'll probably mix things around. And I'm not saying I don't think
it's going to be amazing because I actually have some friends who've seen this and they say that
it's excellent. But I think that all of that will contribute to the fact that it won't hit a
billion, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does as well as the first one does and hits that
750 mark and maybe eight.
I'm kind of, you and I don't normally line up with box office numbers.
I'm, I'm on the same page with everything you just had about the box office this time around
because I think that, I actually think that it'll, actually, they're saying it's going to
land around the same number as the first one.
I think, in opening weekend, I think it's going to exceed that.
I think it'll, I think it's going to do better than the first one because of the hype that the first one got the amount of fans and people that, that saw it and discovered it later on that didn't see it in the theater.
And now like, oh, I bummed that I didn't see the first one in the theater.
And they're going to go and check it out.
And I think that'll add to some more box office.
But I also agree, I don't think it's going to hit a billion.
But I also agree that I think it's going to make just around 800 million, which is a massive number these days.
I mean, look at huge.
Yeah.
So that's a drastic world wound up doing.
If this does as well as the first one did, then they will be so happy.
Yeah.
With this year in this box office, if this hits 750, it's a massive, massive victory.
If it hit seven, huge victory for them.
You know, this is my number one most anticipated movie of the year.
Right, right.
And they probably shot it back to back, I think.
I'm pretty sure that they did.
So they're going to make a profit on it anyway because however much the first one,
this whole thing was, let's say it was $400 million to make.
entire thing. I don't know. I'm making that number up, but they're, they've already made that up
within the first movie or close to it. And now they're going to, they'll make a profit on this
one. But I think the bigger news as far as the award stuff goes is that we all agree, the only
award that I think he was nominated for, and one was the Critics Choice Award. And I think that he's
going to be. Is he right John M. 2 or what are you talking about? John M. Chu, sorry. I think he's
going to be nominated all across the board this time around with this one, even for kind of like a retroactive
nomination.
Yeah, I have
curiosity on the
nominations in general too because
I don't know how they're
going to do the movie, but seemingly
if they stick to the script,
Cynthia Revo will be
nominated for supporting this time in
Ariana for lead,
which is also
completely changes the categories
if they're even nominated at all. I'm just saying
that the roles kind of
shift in the second half. So
That would be interesting, too.
I don't know if we've ever seen in a sequel,
people will be nominated in different categories
and in their original from each other.
Right.
Have we ever seen that?
I don't think so.
I'm not sure, though.
I'm not sure we can do a research on it, no?
I don't know.
Every time I say, like, look it up,
then I'm scared.
I'm encouraging people to use AI.
So just know from your own brain or don't tell me at all.
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know.
But either way, I think that this is,
You just see how much I spit when I laughed.
No.
That's cool.
All right.
What do you guys think?
You think that Wicked for good is going to wind up doing a billy?
You think it's going to wind up doing better than the first?
Same.
Worse.
Oscar chances, no Oscar chances.
Put your thoughts in there.
Let us know what you think.
All right.
So let's get, you know, I want to go over this one because this is an interesting,
um, interesting article rocks that I, that I saw.
that actually friend of the show.
Do you remember David Gambino?
Yeah, maybe.
Okay, so David Gambino was, and is, a very close friend of mine,
but he was my, he was my boss, that's Silver Picture.
And then we just, he's always looked at him as like,
he's kind of like a big brother to me.
He's a wonderful human being.
He is, I'm sure you've met him.
I'm sure you've met him.
He came on, he was on Shmo's a bunch of times.
and he's just, he's the best.
And one of the funniest people I think I've ever met in my entire life.
But his wife, Lori, is an incredible writer.
It's a really good writer.
And she just wrote a movie that just came out in the theaters.
And the movie is out with Diane Keaton.
Diane Keaton, sorry, R-I-P.
Dan Leanne.
Thank you.
The anniversary.
and from I haven't seen I got a chance to see yet but from everything I hear it's just like Jeff
Snyder loves this movie really oh he raves about it um and I need to see anniversary the anniversary yeah
it's with um Dylan O'Brien Dan Lane and um and Kyle Chandlin so exactly so I think that your reaction
kind of leads us into have you heard of this movie no right now it's also got Madeline Brewer
in it who I absolutely love
from you and handmade sales Zoe Deutsch is in this
which you didn't say. So don't you think it's bizarre that you don't
know about this movie?
I know. Okay.
McKenna Grace, holy crap.
B. DeNever. The
reason I don't think it's bizarre is that this has
happened to me probably 80 times this year.
But yeah, but let me
read this article to you and maybe there's more of a reason
to it. Um, so
this is something that the rat put out
today.
And did Lionsgate
bury the political thriller anniversary because of Donald Trump.
It's hard to market a political film this day.
People are afraid of them.
Producer Nick Worcester said it's a weird time.
A thriller about American family terrorized by the rise of an authoritarian government
that uses drone, surveillance, militarized police, and internet control to demand
a mediance opened in 800 theaters last weekend, but you probably didn't know it.
Anniversary starring Diane Lane, Dylan O'Brien, Kyle Chandler, plenty of other name actors,
was financed and distributed by Lionsgate.
a storyline that may have felt too close to our political reality. It seems to have been
buried by the studio in a political climate where government retaliation against media has
become commonplace. The movie has almost no awareness in market tracking and made a paltry
$25,000 over the weekend, just $325 per theater. So it says the film was buried,
says Frank Wooliger, a partner at Gersh, who represents the director, was instrumental in getting
the movie made. To me, it's a sign of the world that we live in. Never had a movie that we
thought was really interesting that no one was aware of. Producer, Nicholas should
told the rap. It's hard to market it.
Nick Wexler produced this movie?
The guy from Boys and Revenge, the actor?
I mean, I don't think so because this is a guy from Gersh.
Oh, wait, wait. They're a movie producer Nick Westler.
I don't know, maybe. If it's Nick Wexler, he
Oh, no, it's a different Nick Wexler.
It's fine. It's hard to market a political film today. People are afraid that they don't
know how we received emotionally. It's a weird time.
Lionsgate did not comment for the story. That's interesting.
anniversary by Polish director Jan Kamasa stars Lane as a professor at Georgetown,
whose former student played by Phoebe Denever writes an anti-democratic political thesis
called The Change that wins nationwide attention after it's published by right-wing organization
that rises to power.
She also marries Lane's son who becomes part of the dominant political apparatus and pivots
from struggling writer to arrogant power players.
As democratic norms evaporate Lane and her husband and adult children first resist and
came to the crushing force of the state.
I don't want to learn any more about it.
I don't want to see it.
So anyway, the story is
more or less what is happening
now, in general, with
how this,
it's interesting. It is an interesting time
that we leave. We live. You look at the stuff
with what happened to Jimmy Kimmel and there's other things
too. It's like
people, it's one of those things of like
you can
make or do whatever you want
more or less. But
the question is,
Does it behoove you to do so at this point,
depending, you know,
because like you said,
you can make a movie about whatever you want to make and say what you ever want to do,
but are you putting yourself in a position where no one's going to get behind it
because they're too nervous about hurting their business and hurting their brand?
What do you,
and I haven't seen the movie,
so I can't really speak on it to whether or not it's like how much it leans into it.
Is it really that political?
Is it just coincidences?
Because, first of all, the movie was made.
This is what I do know about it.
The movie was made before the election, by the way.
It was made before the most recent election.
So it was made when he wasn't the president at the time.
So it happens to hit, you know, coincidences now.
But it wasn't made for that.
So I don't know.
You see this story.
What do you think?
I will 100% tell you what I think.
But Christian, because you are the lesser of the politicals of us,
I'm super curious what you think is the answer to this.
Do you think that this did not perform well because it's being buried because of its politics?
Yes.
I do.
I think that they figure they could, well, there's two things that I think.
The one is that.
I do think that they said, we don't want to deal with the pushback of it.
We'll let it live on streaming.
It will come out.
we know it'll come out and
any pushback that it gets
we'll push our next movie we got
and now you see me now you don't come out soon
everybody will be talking about that
we'll get past it we'll put this on streaming
there we go other side of it is too is that
this is the same way that I
you know say this about any
movie that whether it's political or not
in this kind of scale very hard to get people
into the movie theater to see movies at this scale
it's very hard and you definitely
need your marketing in order to get notice on it.
But there's no marketing on it because and one of the reasons why they're pulling back a little bit.
And you look, look, look, I'm talking about Lionscape.
I'm pretty sure they did long, the long walk.
That didn't do very well either.
And that's a way bigger movie than this.
But that had marketing.
Is that political?
I mean, in a certain aspect, sure.
Sure.
Yeah, I struggle with the word these days because unless something is specifically talking about
politics, which it seems like this movie is, the anniversary, it looks.
like it actually is.
Everything is political nowadays or politicized.
So today is November 4th.
Get out there and vote, friends.
That's the most important thing you can do with your voice.
But yeah, I don't know, Christian actually.
I kind of take a little bit of the other side of this.
It's not that I disagree with you.
Yeah.
It's that.
So I have a movie that I'm making right now.
The fans of my show know that I'm producing a movie right now.
is I can't talk too much about, but it is, people have said this exact sentence to me.
Like the timing of this right now is not good timing because people will take this as a political
statement.
And it's not a political statement.
It's this climate is 100% looking to call anything political.
Sure.
And, but you're right with your question of the truth is,
whether it's whether something should or shouldn't be made isn't really the question it's if you make it
or you're going to lose a ton of money because people aren't going to see it because they don't want that or it's going to get buried or xyz right now so
I don't know um part of me feels like just movies have been buried this year in general political or not there's so many movies that
go straight to streaming or movies that are in theaters and I'm like what is that and that is a star in it and I just don't know it
and it's because the landscape is so spread out these days but it's pretty rare this sounds like it's
says it's a thriller.
It's pretty rare that a movie is this genre with this many stars that's in theaters.
And I haven't heard of it.
I know.
I know.
It's what I'm saying.
So anyway,
I'm curious.
Nonetheless.
You went off in your own world,
Christian.
Where do you go?
I was listening to you.
Yeah,
but where'd you go?
Who are you talking to?
Bringing up the next story.
But I was listening to you.
Guys,
thank you for tuning into this story and listening to this story.
The question is, what do you think about this?
Do you think that it was buried?
Had you heard of this movie?
Put your thoughts in there, let us know.
All right.
Let's get back on track and we'll do it.
Where's Mike?
Mike's right here.
Look at that.
There he is.
Oh.
See?
Just like that.
See, I'm so bummering because Mike constantly wants to talk politics on the show.
The first time we talk a little bit of politics and he was gone.
Yeah, it was done on purpose.
All right.
Can you guys hear me?
No.
I can't hear Harlock.
Can you hear me?
I hear you perfectly.
Tell him to sign back in.
Do you leave and come back in?
Yes, he does.
Actually, no, tell him no, tell him no.
Oh, damn it.
Damn it.
Sorry.
Damn it.
Yeah, King's Port Cal was right.
No, he shouldn't have.
He should have.
He should have stayed.
I'm sorry, Cal.
I blew it.
I should have had him stay in there.
What an idiot I am.
I'm hoping.
Let's hope.
Can you hear me now?
Yeah, we got you now.
Damn it.
All right.
Shut your mouth.
I shouldn't have had you go out.
That was my fault.
Okay.
What happened?
What's up?
What happened?
He had something going on.
Oh, you okay?
No, my dog at the vet.
I had to take the call from my bed.
Oh, no.
It was fine.
It was comprehensive, but yeah.
Everything's okay?
Yeah, you know, it's just dental cleaning and this fucking team.
You've got to get pulled in the fucking cost of that.
Oh, Christ.
Wow, you have to because it can be so dangerous.
Yeah, it is.
I know.
I know.
I know.
Well, I'll tell you what else is dangerous, trying to recreate a Stallone character and I'm doing that for Rambo.
So I don't know if you guys have heard about this, Roxy and Mike, but Lionsgate, well, I know Mike did.
We talked about it last time, but it's set for that Rambo prequel and Expendables also.
Now, the first time I've heard about this guy is through Roxy.
And it was when he was rumored to play Heeman back in the day.
and Lionsgate has secured a major rights deal with Millennium Media for new entries in Rambo and the Expendables franchise.
Lionsgate will take global distribution rights to the Rambo prequel with Rambo with, is it Noah Santinino?
Is that how he's pronounced it?
Santoneo.
Sintanio.
In final negotiations to star in the role made famous by slide.
Finnish director, Jamari Helander from Sisu is set to direct the film, which will shoot in Thailand next year with sales.
launching at the American film market in LA.
Lionsgate will also take the lead producing role on any future Rambo television titles.
Next, the company has secured the rights to develop and produce all future derivative
works based on the expendables, be it more sequels, TV series, incarnations,
video games, or immersive experiences.
Lionsgate was the distributor of all the expendable films in North America and UK
and the fourth and fifth Rambo movies in North America.
Millennium remains one of the last major indie production groups still financing
and producing action films outside of the system,
but the actual returns for old school action movies
aren't proving so reliable these days.
Okay.
Proxie, let's start with you.
Yeah.
Now, how about a Ramba?
Have you seen any of the Rambo movies?
You've never seen a single Rambo movie.
I have that Rambo thing from Collider Days that they sent us.
I don't know, actually.
You guys know, I don't have the best memory when it comes to movies.
You'd remember those.
When I saw when I was young, it's very likely I watch this my brother.
I don't remember it at all.
If I saw it, I don't remember that.
But all right.
No, it happens all the time.
It literally happens all the time.
Then I put something on. I'm like, no, I've seen some of this.
Well, I'm going to throw the ball to Mike then.
Yeah.
They have two questions for you here, Mike.
The first being that, you know, well, I guess the normal question of do you think that they should do this?
But then there's no mention of Sly being anywhere near this, even on a production side of it.
And Lions get getting a hold of it.
The expendables is very interesting.
But they're already doing this thing, this Rocky movie about the making a Rocky with another guy
but it's obviously not Stallone.
What do you think about Rambo but not Stallone?
Where'd you go, Mike?
Oh, there he is.
You know, man, I don't know.
We talked so much about lately franchises and being dead and whatnot.
And as long as there's money to be made,
someone's always going to try and make that money.
Like first blood, like that's when we meet him.
And we don't know.
We get his backstory through the movie.
that we don't need to see him be a Vietnam veteran like we've got that flashback that's the whole point of the second movie like so we're just going to see his story in Vietnam of what a great soldier he was like I it feels unnecessary yeah it's like here's here's my here's my question and this is what I always say about so we saw Rambo in first blood and what he was able to do takes out an entire cop village or cop the whole village with a bunch of cops in him
right in the second movie he basically takes out an even bigger village in vietnam of a bunch of soldiers
he takes out an army right by himself in the third movie he takes out um a russian army even bigger
army in afghan with helicopters and everything blows it by himself single head but more or less
he fights with some some soldiers but for the most part horseback by on horse but it takes it essentially
he takes out an entire army. Fifth movie,
takes out an entire army in Burma.
In the sixth movie, he takes out
an entire cartel. Here's my question. He was in Vietnam, right?
Yeah. How did we lose?
If he was in...
If he was a show being an incompetent soldier, I don't know, man.
I mean, if that guy's running... What was he doing? Is he sleeping?
Good point.
It's like, so it's going to be hard to have him,
Because it's like once you set it up kind of gradually and you're like, oh, yeah, he's fun in Vietnam.
You don't really think about it.
But if you've seen him in Vietnam, you know what he's capable of.
It's like, oh, he's, you're going to give me the solo thing.
He's right.
He's going to be his peak.
So it seems like another, you know, take blood from a stone.
Yeah, I don't know.
So.
And, you know, it's, and that's even harder, though, to put him to put Noah in, in Vietnam as Rambo.
Yeah.
You got to convince me real fast that you're Rambo.
you got to I mean he looks good I think he looks good the guy looks good here I'm going to give you the same scenario with like Sydney Sweeney which is again clearly because Sydney Sweeney rocks you know we've had this conversation many times because you watch a euphoria and I was like I've never really seen anything to make me real you know know if she's a good actress or not my opinion on that has changed she was in Christie she's phenomenal she should be nominated it wouldn't and she wins so be it she's she's great she is now proven to me she's got the goods right
This kid is kind of in that boat for me.
He was annoying in black at him.
He was annoying.
I was annoyed by him.
I don't know what else he's been in besides that in the same way that I'd only seen her in Madame Webb.
So I don't know.
What else is he in that I should watch that I won't?
This isn't the answer that you're looking for because this isn't what you should watch.
The reason who came to stardom is because he was doing all these Netflix movies to all the boys I love before,
which you've probably heard of, Sierra Bird.
just as a loser, the perfect date.
He was like a teen heartthrob, very, very like Matthew McConaughey kind of,
not the same kind of energy, but trajectory where he went from doing rom-com drums to now
he's making a bit of a pivot and we'll see if he's able to pivot as well as some other people
have in the past.
Yeah, there's nothing, there's nothing I'm going through is.
I'll tell you, Warfare.
Someone said warfare.
I actually just started watching warfare.
Why didn't you finish it?
Because I was watching it in my bedroom.
My wife comes and she goes,
What's this?
I don't watch a war movie right now.
And I don't even know what the hell we started while.
We started watching that Eddington movie,
the one with Pascal.
In a dream scenario,
which I also didn't see,
which is the Nicholas Cage movie that people liked.
Yeah.
Well, warfare, I'm going to check out.
That to me is relevant to this.
I didn't know he was in it.
Yeah, he's in warfare.
So that's relevant.
So let's see how he is in.
that. Maybe I report back next week very differently. I did rock.
I just the second I saw him, I was like, this guy's going to be a big, big, big star.
I did say that.
You did say that. You did.
Not the goods. But that doesn't mean that this is the right role for him. I don't know.
Let's see. Let's see.
Whoa. Do you hear my stomach crowd just now? No. I was so loud. It wasn't aimed at your stomach.
But expendables is another one. I don't know how they're going to do it. Are they going to put him in?
I don't, I don't know. How is they going to do it? So nonetheless,
Looks like Rambo's getting a remake and a prequel, maybe TV shows other things.
How do you think that plays?
Do you think that people are going to see it in the theater is in a streaming thing?
Put your thoughts in there.
Let us know what you think.
All right, we're going to get to some TV stuff because that's what we do here on the show every Tuesday.
I have one edition that I wasn't able to send in, but finished this morning.
Yeah, you can bring that up.
You know, before we get into Ross said, I told me to tell you when I saw it, I saw the materialist.
Finally.
And?
It's fine.
It's fine. I didn't mind the ending.
I mean, the ending, like, because where, you know, everyone was talking about,
the movie didn't upset you.
No.
It was just a very, it was a very paint by numbers romantic movie.
And it's like, but I, but I said this to Roku yesterday.
But I said this to Roka.
There, you didn't need.
Chris Evans and Dakota Johnson were way more developed as characters than Pedro Piscall was.
There was, there was, you didn't need him in the movie.
Whoa. Oh, I disagree.
I'm just saying you could have, you could have, if you were going to put him in it,
they should have developed that character more.
Like the reveal of at the very end in the kitchen is stupid.
Well, I knew it from immediately when we talked about it.
I didn't really find it as much as a reveal.
But I think the whole point is you can be with a great person who's not great for you.
So without having him, how do we do that?
He just wasn't, but no, no, no, no, no.
I'm not saying that character shouldn't exist.
I'm not saying the character.
You think it shouldn't be a big star?
I don't think you needed Pedro Pascal to spend that money on him and put him in there.
Like, it wasn't as developed.
No, you 100% need that character.
That's the whole point in the movie.
But you didn't necessarily need Pedro Pascol in it.
But either way.
I thought it was fine.
And I'm going to be looking forward, though, to watch.
I'm going to finish warfare, I think, tonight when I get home.
I saw.
God damn it.
What is the Yorgos movies name?
Oh, the Bagonia?
Borgonia. I saw Bagonia.
Was it good?
Yeah, I thought it was excellent.
Yeah, okay.
Okay, I want to check that out.
Really, really good. Do you guys like Jorgos' movies?
You know, I think that I, out of the four that I've seen, I'm two for four.
Two, I like, two I don't.
Which ones do you like?
I like poor things, and I like...
Killing of a sacred deer.
No, no.
Favorite?
Yes.
You didn't like the lobster or you didn't see it?
No, I'm not a lobster fan.
He said the conversation on Schmo's all the time.
They thought it was the greatest thing in the world.
I thought it was...
I love that movie so much.
Dribble.
Oh my God, I love that movie.
Mike, do you like your ghost stuff?
I like...
Poor things was interesting.
Like, I don't know if I...
I would have paid so much money to watch a reaction of that with you.
You must have been laughing your ass on a certain.
Ruffalo must have killed you, though, right?
Ruffalo's reaction.
actions to me.
Like that one scene where he forgets her line or something and he,
like,
what the fuck are you talking about?
It was so good.
So good.
Ruffalo was incredible.
I told you my favorite conversation I had at the Critic Choice Awards was with him.
Well, him and Jimani.
But him,
I talked to him and I go,
dude,
I didn't know.
You're capable of that.
He goes,
me either,
too.
It was great.
It was great.
It was,
but that,
yeah,
I love that.
I love that.
I think that you were going to like
but gone yet. Good. I'm happy to hear that.
Yeah, I'm happy to hear that. Okay, good.
It takes a big, big swing.
Okay. Yeah. You know, it's funny about,
what's funny about poor things is I hated that movie for this first 10 minutes,
hated it. And then I just said, I'm just going to lock in and watch the rest of it.
And then I loved it. And Ruffalo was a big reason why. I mean,
Ruffalo was, roughly, that's what my favorite performance is like ever.
Emma Stone is so good. She was great, too, in that movie.
Really, really, really. Yeah, she's so.
Didn't she win the Oscar for that?
Yeah.
Poor things cleaned up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Bagonia, I think, is going to do not as well as poor things, but still well.
And I don't think Jesse Plemons is being talked about enough right now.
Right.
It's a big category, but.
I'll watch Pagonia for sure when it comes out on the app.
Okay.
Roxy, it is time for some TV.
So let's do just that.
Let's get into some TV.
will she bring up one of the shows I wanted to bring up?
We'll find out. All right. So the first one on the list again, this one always on her list?
Because it had its finale this week. Okay, okay. And I caught up and watched it. And
the whole season was like six episodes or something. This show is, it's a slow burn and then it's
gone too quick. And it's just like gives you just enough time to become obsessed with it before
It's like never mind later.
But then there was a whole preview for next season.
So I'm like, what have they already shot?
And I kind of remember that they did that last season.
Anyway, the show is excellent.
Yeah, it's a good time to catch up because you got time.
It's really, really good.
If you're looking for prestige drama, that's what this is.
All right.
Next one.
I told you guys I was going to bring this up this week.
Hasbin Hotel.
I can't believe as a non-animation girl,
even though animation is for us.
everybody as a non-animation girl typically how much i love the hell of a boss has been hotel
franchise yeah my preference is with has has been hotel even though i do love hell of a husband is
really cool uh the music is phenomenal if you love musicals if you love um anything like harley quinn
the animated series which just reminds me a lot of we are in hell and we are fighting with heaven
this season and it's got a lot of religious undertones but also messages about like who's to say
where somebody really should go and what when are you no longer redeemable and what does that mean.
So I yeah, I can't recommend the show enough even if you don't love animation.
The concepts is so good.
Okay.
Next one after that.
You guys told me to watch Chad Powers.
So what did I do?
I watch Chad Powers.
I binge the whole thing.
And?
Because it's the quickest binge ever.
The show is so fucking good, Christian.
Oh, is it?
It's not talked about enough.
Okay.
It was the easiest watch of my life.
It is heartfelt.
It is goofy.
Yeah.
The concept, do you guys know what the premise of this show is?
It looks like a Prince and the Popper type thing.
It does look like that, but that's not, in fact, what it is.
So this very, very famous athlete who is playing professional football, playing in the NFL,
has like an absolute meltdown breakdown and essentially is no longer allowed to play professional sports.
And then he comes up with this character of Chad Powers to play college football.
Oh, okay.
So it's the same guy.
It's not too.
Yes.
He's the same guy dressed up.
Okay.
To try and keep playing football because he loves him so much.
Sure.
Okay.
So that's why when he compared this to Mrs.
Doubtfire, that's kind of what he was talking about.
Got it.
Okay.
it's really funny
and he is
Glenn Powell is such a star
but that's see okay so let's have that conversation
because
is he I don't know
well because you can't
say that yet you can say it you can say
it in regards to 10 not now there's two
different questions
not talent wise
um as far as
bankability that's what I meant
okay talent wise I'm with you star
same page
same page as far as when it comes to does he have the talent is he is he you know sometimes people are
why are you pushing this guy do i get why they're pushing him i do but it doesn't seem to be working
yet because this show and the things that he's in really good this show you say is really good i hear
yeah it was really good he wasn't the driving force on twisters um he ever was talking about daisy eager
Jones.
He did that.
Yeah, most people were. But the Sydney
Sweeney movie did a lot of money. That movie made a lot of money.
But now I think that the big test is running man.
And we'll see.
But I think he's got presents.
I think he stood out in Top Gun Maverick.
But this show is not doing well.
So that was kind of where my question went. Do I think that he has the ability
to be this? I'm with you. I'm with you on the same page.
I like him. My wife does not. But I like him.
But yeah, I don't know if he's got
the bankability yet. I don't know if the marketing did this show any favors too.
This was based off of that commercial, that,
Yline Manning thing. Yeah. Who said he wasn't great in Twisters? Someone said he was great in Twisters,
WTF. Who said he wasn't great in Twisters?
What do you mean who said that? I didn't say that. You didn't say it.
What are you saying? Who said that? Why are you saying that? Someone in the comments said he was
great in Twisters what the, I don't, I don't understand. I'm sorry. I don't understand what they
meant. No one said he wasn't great in there. All right.
Go ahead. Finish what you're saying.
I don't think they said that.
Anybody said that.
Yeah, he did.
He said, he was great in Twisters.
WTF.
You know, I don't know what he means.
Maybe he means why isn't it doing?
Why are things I do that?
I don't understand.
Anyway, go ahead, Roxy.
I completely threw it off.
Go ahead.
It's fine.
This show's awesome.
If you're looking for something easy to watch,
this is the easiest show to watch,
it's super quick.
The episodes are like half hour.
There was only, I think, eight of them.
I'd binged in one day,
on to the next. Can't wait for season two. Hope there is one.
Okay. Next one. I told you guys I was going to talk about the finale this week.
This show had another excellent season and we're so far deep. Now we're going to London.
I will follow them to London. There's a big reveal in the finale. Do you want to know what it is?
Sure.
Okay. I think it's that the next season's going to be based on Tina Faye. So that is exciting because we've had her on the show before.
but to have it be more of a bigger moment,
what happens there.
And this show continues to get the most stacked cast
in the entire planet.
It is the number one most stacked cast on television
year after year.
And I love that for them.
It's great.
Okay.
That's perfect.
All right, let's see.
That is Perf.
It is Perf.
All right.
Oh, you finished Black Rabbit.
Okay.
Yeah, I finished it.
Where are you at?
I'm still at the same place that I was.
I think we're at three.
I think that maybe you should stop.
Oh, is it not good?
No, it's not that it's not good.
It's good.
The ending is really tough and I think that it's going to not be fun for you.
Okay.
You just kind of spoiled it for me.
I don't want to spoil it for you, but I didn't prefer the direction.
They went in with the ending and I feel like they didn't necessarily handle the ending very well.
And yeah, I liked the show, but it's,
the way that they decided to close out was very, very upsetting.
Okay.
That's probably kind of know what's happening now,
but whether it's, well, I won't say it because I don't want to spoil for people.
Last one.
Well, I guess close to last one.
It welcomed to Derry, episode two.
I wanted to put this on this list to check in with you, Christian.
So you and I were both like,
after episode one, bummer, you killed off people we like.
How did you feel about episode two?
hated their choice in episode one, the end.
I thought they wrote it very well in episode two explaining how and why and the way that they took that choice and then where they went with it.
I thought it was very good writing.
Is that where you're at now, two?
Yeah, I've just finished two.
Cool.
Yeah.
Episode three is if I saw it, then I liked it the best so far.
Oh.
Well, wait a minute.
I got to check and make sure that I had that.
No, if, if, just the, I'm going to make sure that I have it.
Yeah.
I don't know.
All right.
Good to know.
All right.
Is that it?
That's, oh, no, you said there's one more that you wanted to add.
Yeah.
Because I thought you might find this interesting.
Have you seen the, the hell is it called?
Mob Wars, Philadelphia Netflix show, the docus series?
Any good?
Yeah, it was really interesting.
So I watched this, this three-part docu series on Netflix about.
the Philadelphia mob wars and buses and what happened there.
I'm just much more familiar with Boston and New York and don't know anything about the
Philly scene and it was wild.
I mean like what a docu series.
It was really,
really wild.
It's called Mob War Philadelphia versus the mafia, I think, something like that.
It was excellently done.
I'm assuming that they've done mob wars about other places,
but this one was really, really crazy.
And if you're looking for a great doc,
they knocked it out of the park.
Great. All right. Well, Roxy, once again,
knocks it out of the park with her TV picks.
So what are you guys checking out?
What have you checked out on Roxy's picks?
Make sure you put that in there. Let us know.

Coffee, such big fans of them.
And Roxy, Roxie is a big fan of
Nutrafall also.
Yeah. I'm worried I've been saying it wrong this whole time.
I haven't told you that.
Oh, what did you think you were saying?
I say neutrophol.
Which is also fine.
Nutrifal, Nutrifol.
Which is fine.
I take it every single night.

And then, and trade, holy moly, got some good, good, good deals here today, guys, good deals.
The other good deal is that they're already at 44.
We're going to, if we hit 90.
Is that a good deal?
So far.
That's a good deal.
That's good.
That's a good start.
Okay, Mike, yeah, I like that energy.
Are we getting over at a hundred then?
Why don't you, Harloff kick rocks and let Roxy and I do it?
because that's when we killed it.
Oh, this camera went out again.
What does that always happen here?
Right in the middle of his interesting points.
Okay, just to support Mike for a second here, though.
We did start crushing.
We did.
And then I came in and ruined it.
Yeah, they got fart in the wind.
Ruined it, but we were crushing and then we were no longer.
Hey, well, let's see, but would you like to give the Marvel scoop then if you hit 90, Mike?
I have a scoop to give.
Right.
So by that aspect, you're kind of a moron.
I kind of wish you had said 100, though.
Well, but I put at 94 Roka, so we got to get 93 for you guys, 93 for you guys.
There we go.
How about that?
All right.
Joe Ryder starting us off here.
Ellis reviewed Predator Badlands and said it was the best predator yet.
Well, that I won't agree with them.
And I think, but there's no way.
It's not.
In my opinion, it's not.
Over the original, no way.
What does Arnold have to say about this? Come on.
Listen, I'll tell you this about Mark Ellis.
He's a very nice person.
He's a, he, he's the other jokes, he's funny guy.
Ha ha.
So the other things, he would, they taught the football.
He cheers.
He had the beer.
It's funny.
But he does not know the movies.
Come on.
He does not know it.
Stop this.
All right.
So there you go.
Mark Ellis coming in hot.
But no, I don't, I don't know.
I would, I put it, I might put it in, it's just so different from the other movies,
but it's really good.
Michael, Diagiar, support for Mike and Roxy.
There you go.
44.
Oh, yeah, Michael.
Let's see what you can do.
Oh, by the way, so there will not be a live show tomorrow because I'm running,
and I have to get this to Roxy as well, I'm running the FAMCA Johnson interview tomorrow.
Is it not Fomka Jensen?
No.
I was told told by the woman herself.
It is not.
It is not Famka Jensen,
which I introduced her as Famke Jensen,
and by the end of it, I,
Famca Janssen.
Wow. She's Spanish-speaking?
No, she is Dutch.
And they don't pronounce their Jays either?
Janssen.
Samka Janssen.
Oh, yeah, like, yo.
Yeah.
She's got a new series on Netflix, Roxy,
called Amsterdam Empire.
Cool.
which is um which we talk about a great length we talked about a lot of other things so you're going to have a lot of
good clips been calling her by the wrong name everybody has and i and i started by calling her the
wrong name and i ended it by calling her the correct one so um it's but it's a really good conversation
that'll be that'll be taking place of the show tomorrow roxy will be sent that episode and hopefully
we'll have some clip out to that uh on the clips channel sooner than later uh all right
Advait Sharma.
Hey, Mike.
Who's your favorite Batman or James Bond?
Oh, yeah, if you only have, if you could only, there's only, the rest of your life,
you don't only see Batman movies or James Bond movies?
What do you take?
Batman.
Batman?
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's see.
Leonard, M.M 600.
Oh, la, guys.
Roxy, your hair looks badass.
Oh, thanks.
There you go.
I always compliment Roxie and her hair.
Every time she gets a haircut, everything.
I wanted to go darker, but.
Because of the bleach that was underneath,
it just keeps getting lighter itself.
So I got to figure out what to do.
Yeah.
Let's see.
I like your hair.
I think it looks good.
Okay.
Sorry.
Next one.
And we will.
Tom Hanks.
Mike, who did you play at H.H.N?
What house is your favorite?
I went to my first in Orlando and loved Galcon,
Tariffy, Jason, and L.
Artista.
Tom, so did you do here as well in Hollywood?
Because here, last year I did the Purd show.
I was the senator character in that.
And then this year, if you went to up to the cycle house,
you might have seen the owner of the house as me.
Nice.
Are you guys allowed to answer that question?
He just did.
Am I allowed to answer?
Mm-hmm.
Like, some places are weird.
like Disney wants you to say you're a friend of Snow White, if you're Snow White.
But like, we're a movie studio.
It's actors.
It's, you know.
Nice.
Okay.
Yeah.
I follow you on Instagram, Roxy.
It's, you know.
Nice.
Okay.
Thank you.
Tom Hanks.
I saw you in a photo on Mammoth Club Insta for H.H.N.
There you go.
Oh.
What is H-R-H-H-H-H-N, please tell me?
Halloween Horonites.
Oh, thank you.
Mike, you were on Mammoth Club Insta?
What's Mammoth Club?
I don't know.
I'm guessing it's an Instagram.
Yeah, I did Halloween, so if I was, I was on it.
It's so funny.
I get a lot of people's Instagrams.
They'll share the reel from, like, famous people that go up and take pictures with me,
but because the lights are so bright.
Oh, can you, can you say, wait, so who did you play in Halloween Haran Nets?
Who would you play?
What, Christian?
no the full the full character making a joke what do you do you truly want to know i really do want to know
i swear the character from the movie psycho oh well i knew that i didn't know if you did something
i've seen you i've seen you that's why i said when i do the purge i was the senator who's the most
famous person you took a picture with i don't know because half the time i'll be honest with you
these people that come here are younger okay don't know who they are at all and like oh my god you're
and so-and-so's Instagram, and I was just like, I have no idea who this person is.
I'm on Mammoth's Instagram, but I don't see you.
I also don't know who Mammoth Club is.
Okay, well, let's move on.
Matt Lindsay, Christian, I've been following you since the AMC movie talk to A.
Roxy, I don't know if you covered it, yeah, but what did you think of the BB-27 finale?
Did I cover it?
Yeah, Matt, I thought it was lackluster as hell.
Which one was that?
B. B. 27?
My brother, 27.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, whatever that is.
And Ashley, an awesome person won and did not, was not, it was not, yeah, we're not, not great.
Okay.
I see you texting, Christian.
Yes, I am, but I had to do something.
It's important.
Come on.
Come on.
All right.
You know, Aiden, Dardy.
Hey, Rox.
I was wondering if you ever watched the runarounds on Amazon.
It was one of my biggest TV surprises this year.
I love the cast and the fact that they're a band in real life because of the show.
It's also a super cool layer.
No, I feel like you guys recommended this to me early on.
And I'm actually looking at the end of the year for shows from this year to watch that I haven't yet.
I wanted to throw some out there for you guys.
And you tell me which of these are worth my time.
I'll add run around to my list.
The low down the paper, the chair company run around.
Any of these worth my time?
I don't see it.
Yeah, let's see it.
RQMD, SMD.
Support for Roxy and Mike.
looking forward to seeing this month Wicked 2 and Wildcat 2.
Ah, yeah, Wildcat.
That's my movie.
Can't wait.
Hell yeah, November 25th in theaters, Wildcat.
Oh, yeah.
Maxy, can I guess what your character is?
Yeah.
I'm going to assume, how old is her daughter in it?
I don't know if I'm allowed to answer that, but significantly younger than me.
And I'm in a very small amount of the movie.
Yeah.
I'll bet you're someone that they've got to go to to get in somewhere.
You're like a secretary or receptionist that they've got to break into a building or like
fake information.
And you're like, hey, can I help you?
Yeah, so we're here to see so and so.
That's a really good call.
I can't confirm or deny.
But I'm just going to put that out now.
I think that's a really good guess.
Okay.
All right.
We'll see.
It's coming out soon.
I'm excited for it.
But I love that you thought I could be Kate Bacchancell's daughter.
I must be hot.
No, not her daughter.
Like you would have been a friend.
No, I met like you would be her friend.
So she's like, I was, she was with me and I couldn't find her.
And here's her belongings.
And you're like, that was so good.
He didn't even mean to do it.
He didn't even mean to do it.
It was so good.
What did I fucking do now?
She goes, she goes, I love that you thought I could play her daughter.
It means me.
I'm so hot.
And you're like, no, no, no, not her daughter.
It was so good.
You had no clue that you did that.
Because I'm not a mean piece of shit, Harlop.
No, I know you're not.
No, you're not.
I've never called you that.
I've called you a moron, but never that.
Nathan Drake, how much will Mike donate to the Kickstarter?
I'll tell you what.
This is whatever Mike does or doesn't.
We were doing the math on it.
If we can just get people like for when we hit the goal,
we're going to really make that $25 one.
We're going to make it that people want to sign up.
If people can do that, if we can get enough people to tune into that one,
I think we can make this show.
We'll see.
Mike, the answer is probably nothing, right?
Or I can give you, or I can give you less for that month and put it to it.
To donate to your fucking movie?
My TV show, because I'm assuming you're going to hit me up eventually for a part on the season.
I busted my ass for years.
Hey, that's a reference to me.
I get it.
Yeah.
for a acting for you for years.
That's my resume for you, champ.
You know what I can do.
That's true.
Matt, Lindsay, you run Disney.
What would you do with Pirates of the Caribbean?
Controversial.
This is a conversation.
I'd bring them back.
Oh, John is coming out in that other movie that was announced.
Do you guys talk about that?
No, which one was it?
Which one was it?
I'm looking.
It's a franchise movie that's a big deal.
You didn't hear about this?
Let me look.
Hold on.
I was like, wow, I can't believe that they cast him.
Let me look.
Maybe you guys will tell me in the chat before I can get there.
Okay.
Okay, Johnny Depp.
You look.
You look while we do this.
Upcoming.
RQMDSMD.
Roxy and Mike, how are your dogs doing?
They're good.
My own dog's at the vent.
That's the, I had to take that call.
And now I've got to have like three teeth pulled.
It's going to cost $1,500 bucks.
Ebenezer, a Christmas Carol.
Oh, nice.
Okay.
He's going to be Scrooge.
He'd be good Scrooge.
And you know who's in it?
Your girl.
AJR. Ahona?
Andrea Rysboro.
Oh, nice.
Didn't you interview her?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Were you in the, I thought you were, were you in the studio?
No.
Oh, you weren't there?
I wasn't invited.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Advate Sharma, Supergirl will make more money than Mandu
and Mando and Grugoo?
Um,
maybe.
Possibly.
I don't think we answered the Pirates of the Caribbean question, but.
I said, do you bring,
I said you bring Johnny back.
That's,
that's the whole thing you do with the franchise?
Yeah.
Oh.
Okay.
Good.
Bring them back.
Um.
Supergirl will make more money than Mando and Gros.
Um, I think so.
Yeah.
I do.
I could see that.
Yeah.
Well, that's, it's also the thing
It's like, I don't know.
It's just, look, like I said, Star Wars is just in a, it's in a rotten place right now.
It really is.
It's in a really bad place.
And it, until you find people who can be on the same page, it, it probably just won't, it won't work out.
And until that happens, we'll see.
Motherfire, I'm trying to be polite here, you piece of shit.
shit, I'm trying to be polite.
Talking to someone, my coworker, and I'm trying to be polite here.
But you've got to put me right on the fucking screen.
You want the trade-off with a good camera and good lighting?
You want the trade-off?
I got to do it in my break room.
Anyway.
I hate you.
I know you do.
Let's bring back Thursday night fights because I'll box you.
Yeah, you'll do the same thing you did the first time I booked you.
You'll book and then we're waiting for you.
and then you dodge and you didn't show up and you let your port do you know this story
roxy we go here we go mike kalanowski was supposed to nathan bigelow who is his best friend
in the world they decided they're like so we did boxing matches at at florida state and the place was
packed i mean it was like it was like an event and we had rankings and champions and everything
so mike and nathan decided they're going to and it wasn't like just like people like
you know we charged we didn't charge anything for women to come in we charge like two bucks for guys
to come in. And it was packed. I mean, cops used to come and watch the fights.
It was that, they were, they were huge. So Mike and Nathan tell me, and I would promote these
things. So Mike and Nathan tell me they want to, they want a box. I'm like, great, I'll put you guys
on the undercutters to give a big title fight. So the night of the fight, Nathan shows up. He's got
his gloves, everything's easy. He's, he's like, where's Mike? He's not coming. Where is he? He says he
doesn't want to do it anymore. He didn't tell anybody? He can tell anybody. And Nathan's like,
I want to fight.
I want to fight.
So Nathan, his friend, who's maybe at the time, a 165 soaking wet with boots on is about to fight this guy, James Godwin.
And the guy's 215, 220.
And so Mike throws his best bud into this truck.
Nathan can fight.
Nathan can fight.
But he's small.
So here's this big truck of a human being.
literally fighting Nathan, he puts his hands down and lets Nathan just pop him in the face as he's
walking towards him, throwing huge bombs. And Nathan's, Nathan fought like he's a tough, tough kid.
I love Nathan. He's one of my favorite humans in the world, but there's only so much he could do.
And his face was a mess at the end of it because Mike didn't show up.
Mike, what happened?
He doesn't remember. I think I was banging some girl in my room.
That's a favorite.
That's a fair response.
Because you've got to remember
we lived in the fraternity house.
So the rooms were all on the outside of the house.
And in the main room, where the boxing ring was?
I'm not going.
So you got to remember, it's not like people were like,
well, where's Mike?
He's not at the house. I lived at the house.
I think I was banging someone.
And he doesn't show up and just let this kid get annihilated.
By annihilated.
It was hilarious.
Okay.
Johnny, Patrice, some support.
for you beautiful people. Thank you, Johnny. We're at 46, trying to get to 92. 92, 93, 93, right?
It was a good start and then now we're leveled and we need to. Yeah, you're in trouble. Alex, I just looked
it up and saw Sarah Schachner is back as composer for Badland. She did pray too. Definitely a selling point to get my ass in
the theater. It was a good score. There's a good score. I don't want to hear you say that we're in trouble,
Christian. Like, do you have no faith, ye with little? I have faith in you. Thanks.
All right. So the next one, Wiley, what's up, bud?
Hey, guys, going to watch Squid Game, the Challenge Season 2. It's out. Also,
wish George Clooney did more comedy movies. Hey, Willie!
That fucking Alps thing. He's the death of me.
I love that.
Could somebody remind me if I watched Squid Games of Challenge season one? I don't think I did, but I don't know.
I don't know. I don't remember. You probably know, I guess people who've watched your reviews.
I don't remember you talking about it, though. I don't remember.
be talking about it. I didn't like that they were doing it. So it feels like I maybe didn't.
Probably not. Yeah. Seth B. And I thought there was big
controversy that they never ended up paying anybody from it. What happened to that?
I don't remember either. But I want to address
Wiley's thing as far as George Clooney goes. Yeah, he's good in those
comedies. I mean, well, they're doing another Oceans movie.
And that's kind of comedy. Hey, yeah, just today, Benucid El Toro is.
Oh, yeah, Benisso de Toro is going to get kind of, they said, yeah, yeah, that'll be, that'll be good.
He'd be perfect in that movie.
I hope he's like the new guy they have to rip off.
Or no, you know what?
He could also be part of the crew, too.
I want to be part of the crew.
Yeah, he'd be pretty good.
Seth B. 413.
I prefer Ackleite to Obi-Wan or Boba-Fet.
Teach her own.
None are great, but I'd rather see wrists and originality.
I understand that the nostalgia bait, even if they fail.
Thoughts.
I understand, I understand.
No, I understand the premise.
I understand the premise of what you're saying there.
And I think the answer is I would like to see risk and originality also if it was going to be compared, if you're opposed to nostalgia for the state of being nostalgia without good writing.
Because the Obi-Wan movie had that, because look, there's nostalgia involved in Andor, and that was held really well.
I mean, his death star, there's other things in there, Stormtroopers, and it was held together really well.
if Obi-Wan would have been treated with that kind of care,
then I would very,
it was one of my most anticipated things.
I thought it would have been great.
And Boba-Fet was the Farts.
So, and all three of those shows were the Farts.
I would actually go Obi-Wan, Boba-Fet,
acolyte, out of the three,
but I completely understand your,
your, you know, reasoning for wanting it.
And I would agree.
Mike, what do you think?
Yeah, I mean, I love his statement.
I really do because Ackleite, like,
Obi-Wan, you and I had said it,
you and I said it for months.
We were like, this has the potential
to be the best thing since Empire.
Yeah.
You know, and Boba-Fet, what they sold us,
they can build of goods that we got.
It's true.
The Godfather on Tateween, and we didn't get that.
No, they set you up with that scene.
He's going to be a mob boss.
When, he, he murders,
um,
Bip Fortuna.
Straight up murders, Bip Fortuna.
And you're like, oh, that's the show we're going to see?
No.
Every other, every other thing.
What are you going to do now?
Well, wait, what are you going to do?
I'm Boba Fett.
Yeah, we know who you are.
Stop telling me who you are.
Every five seconds, I'm Bobafin.
Cut it out.
So I think the act, like, they're just, the premise was good.
I think execution was, you know.
Yeah.
I liked, I saw all three of these shows.
I liked Obi-Wan the best and then Acta-Lade the second best and then Boba-Fed the third best.
Yeah, that would be.
you're probably be what mine is fine yeah i just i just couldn't get i mean you know those i think that the two
episodes it's unfair because they're not really bobefit episodes but those two episodes inside of
boba fat of the of the luke's the luke angle and the other one cancels out anything that they did in
in um act like yeah yeah yeah but you forget that that that's even part of it because that's
not really the show uh gleek the monkey can badlands be your first predator movie yes
it could.
Yeah.
It could.
I'd be wild.
I mean, the reason why is I think, even for Roxy, the reason why is because, well, first
of all, it doesn't play off of any of the previous movies.
All you really need to know is, like, here's an example.
I know the answer.
Roxy, you're aware of what the predator looks like, correct?
Yeah.
That's it.
You know what the predator looks like?
And you understand that they're part of this pop culture.
You'll be introduced to, yeah, 100%.
If you wanted it to be your first movie, you absolutely could.
Actually, I think it would be interesting to watch it.
your first movie and then going back and knowing their culture and everything and what they are
and then going back to watch the other ones it takes the mystery out of the first one um but you know
it's the it's they've been around for so long you know what i'm going to see tonight what you're
seen ruse pluribus which one's that oh that's oh the gilligan show the gilligan show you're right
um so excited i'm excited for that one let me know how that is i will i'm very excited i think it comes
out on friday okay that's good to know too
a lot of stuff coming out.
A lot of stuff.
Alex,
PSA for the folks at home,
if you want to see Badlands
in a premium auditorium like Dolby,
be sure to see it week one.
They'll likely get pushed out to week two.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I saw it.
I think it's fun.
Was it fake IMAX?
No, I think it was regular.
Limax.
Yeah, I think so.
I really noticed.
So it must have been.
I am two fly cam.
Roxy.
Still not watching the chair company.
company funny as if i asked about that today i'm just hearing such mixed reviews on it that i can't
tell if i should watch it i've hit 115 shows for the year wow so i i'm well over where i need to be
so now i'm just kind of picking the things that sound good because think about the shows that i'm
going to have to watch now pluribus stranger things there's so much stuff that's coming back
uh even like shows like emily and paris that drop in december i'm i'm excited rocks i just had last week
an audition for a show that you watch.
So if I get it, it would be awesome.
That would be amazing.
That would be great.
Yeah.
Was it an in-person or tape?
No, tape.
Yeah, I'm only keeps right now, too.
All my friends are getting in rooms again.
I'm like, what?
Really?
Yes.
Okay, let me ask you, is it rooms for like co-star level stuff too?
Yeah, yeah.
Fuck, man.
I know, I know.
I know.
Yeah, I'm scared.
I haven't done an in-person audition.
in so long that I feel I need some.
That's what I said, I don't even know I remember what to do.
I know, go in the room.
Yeah.
Back in the room and just.
Yeah.
It's nice and trade.
Oh, hey, Mike, can we get a, oh, where's my, that's not Mike.
You could be.
Mike, can we get a, hey, Willie?
Hey, Willie.
I want you to do, I want you to be in an elf costume and I'll be the dad.
You be a fuck out of you.
You should.
That would be great.
Hey, Willie.
Hey, Mikey.
Shit out of you.
Hey, Mikey.
Hey, Mike, when you, when did you lead your best friend to get beat up while you're paying abroad?
Hey, Mikey.
All right.
Hey, Mr.
C.J.
Hey, Mike, guess what I finally saw the living daylights.
It was really good.
Hey, you go, buddy.
I grew up with the Bronson era.
Even though I enjoy Craig, I want to give Dalton a shot, he always be Neville
Sinclair to me.
But I'm glad, yeah, man, I'm glad you liked it.
Is that a James Bond movie?
It is.
It's, now, Roxy, have you seen.
Craig Bonds.
I only ever have seen one
Bond movie and it was Golden Eye.
I mean, that's a great one to watch.
That's a great one.
I played the video game growing up.
Hey.
So that's why I picked that one.
It's a classic kit.
Battery, did you vote today, Christian?
Silver when coming, yeah, I don't think that's going to happen.
When this shows over.
Are you registered in New York?
Yeah.
So you got the big, what's his name?
Oh, you're on.
Yeah. Oh, man.
Oh, man.
Wow.
Hey, Mr. CJ, five points if you know that character, no, no looking at the chat.
I'm going to check out License to Kill Next.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Five points if you know that character.
No looking at the chat.
That to me?
What character?
Maybe the one he was just talking about before.
Go back to his question.
Yeah, it was.
Hey, Mike, guess what?
I finally saw the Living Day.
Oh, that was in CLEAR.
Come on now, man.
It's me, the Rocketeer.
Give me a break.
Come on now.
So he said, okay, so I'm going to.
Check out less as a kill.
Thanks for a recommendation.
Go pal, Zoe Deutsch has this and Noble Vogue coming out.
Wait, Christian, this is such a dumb question of me.
Just legitimately because I'm ignorant.
Yeah.
Where you live, you vote in the NYC election?
Yeah.
It's a borough of New York.
Yeah, but it's city.
It's New York State.
It's not just, but it's, it's all of New York.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Go pal.
Zoe Deutsch has this.
Okay, we said that all right.
Mike Joyce, anniversary was nothing like the trailer.
No, it was a very different, I've heard that from a lot of people, actually.
Very, like where I am in Boston, like I'm outside, but so Boston, just Boston by the city for the mayor.
No more.
Go, pal, and I just saw Zoe's the three from spring.
I like Zoe Deutsch.
I don't know what that is.
Mike Joyce,
it's all about how a family falls apart over the years,
deeply upsetting.
Great cast performances, though.
Yeah, I got to, I absolutely want to see it.
I'm, I got to see it.
I love Lori.
Lurie's a very, very great,
she's a great writer.
Go Pal, man,
three was tough to get to go through.
Three.
It's tough to go.
Go Pell does that sometimes.
Yeah, I know.
I'm obsessed with Go, pal,
but I stay not knowing what
sometimes.
Sometimes, sometimes you put some in there.
and then he's putting various ones out there.
Yeah.
And then I think he meant the third Zoe movie,
because a big year for Zoe.
Oh, I thought maybe he was talking about Predator from when they were talking about
Zoe.
Some of Zoe.
Battery, I'm sorry, but you can't sing, Roxy had to say it.
I think she knows that.
Well, Roxy does everything well, so there's got to be something she can't do well.
It's like telling me I can't play football.
Right.
She knows that.
She runs.
Right.
I don't.
Wait, what?
Wait, when did I?
The Lil Yankee. Support for Mike's dog dental issue.
Zing! Got her!
RQMD, SMD. Support for Roxy and Mike.
Bet visits be expensive. They sure are.
Yeah, man. And I got that pet insurance shit, too.
That doesn't help with shit.
Nothing helps shit. Go pal.
Rocks, you're a vampire girl, right?
You've seen her vampire cat movie from the Heather's writer and directed by his brother?
Who's her?
I assume Zoe.
Oh, Jesus, great.
No, I don't think so.
And I will say I'm only vampire girl because of vampire TV I watched a lot of it.
And Real Rejects now has me covering some vampire stuff.
But it's not like I am a diehard van.
I haven't seen interview with the vampire, the TV show.
So no, tell me the name of the movie you're talking about.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, it's called Vampire Academy.
Oh, okay, there you go.
I don't know.
Paige.
Hey, guys, do you all think that if whenever the cell goes Thursday,
that movie prices go up more?
I don't know what's necessarily because of the sale
The problem is so expensive right now.
They need to go down. They need to go down, not up, but they won't.
Yeah, but you want to know.
Actually, it's too much of a rabbit hole.
Just keep pushing.
All right.
Seattle, K.O.
Does Roxy still have a Bain Cat impression?
Oh, shit.
On the darkness,
Res by it.
It's actually not the worst impression.
that you do. It's not good, but it's not the worst. You know? I would probably put,
that thing is, sometimes you have to eat a little bit of a letter. It's like, so the other ones
you do, there's no hint of the person. This, there's like, this. Come on. Come on. Yeah, like, who's that?
Is that wario? Who's that? That's Tony? It's Arnie. No, it's not.
Come on.
Arnie who?
De Luca.
Maybe.
But.
Arnie DeLuca.
No, I can sing.
Yeah, actually, you want to know what's crazy about that is I have been known to be told by people.
I can very much so carry a tune.
But it has to be like, it has to be like white stripes.
It has to be rock and roll.
It's got to you, you know, like, yeah.
I mean, Roxy, you know I can sing.
Yeah, I've heard your karaoke.
But I would say, Christian, I'm as.
good as you are, which is not, we're not pro singers.
Right. That's true.
You know who, have you heard stuff saying?
No, she good?
Real good. Okay.
If you, she's going to win the week if I put this out there, but if you guys get to
100 make her sing.
Real good is, doesn't describe, does not describe what it is.
Hey, Willie.
Never heard her sing.
Uh, no, I don't think so.
Like, have you heard her?
Hey, Willie.
Oh my God.
My wife is calling me on this show when she knows I'm on here.
Always.
Always.
Not I can't pick up right now.
Go pal.
Noah was good in the recruit on Netflix.
Oh.
Okay.
Noah Centennios.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I know.
I just remember it.
Chris Daniel.
I fear for the Badlands box office.
I had two bad theater experiences in the last two months.
bad etiquette,
you're not wrong.
So they mixed last night,
the press screening with fans.
And it wasn't terrible,
but it wasn't great.
There's a group of people behind me
and chattering throughout the whole thing.
I didn't say anything,
but I was like,
okay,
it was getting bad.
But then there's one guy
at his phone up,
and I was like,
this better not happen the whole entire time.
And it didn't.
But it's like,
you get anxious.
because you can't you can't trust people.
It's the worst.
It's the worst.
The phone thing, like, I can't believe that we're still doing that in theaters.
It's crazy.
I mean, they really should.
I saw this video on it and I actually, oh, wow.
Roxy, this is hilarious.
This is hilarious.
What?
So my wife just wrote me and says, well, that was embarrassing.
We don't get to vote for mayor because we don't live in NYC.
That's what I was thinking.
Yes, I didn't vote because, okay.
Okay.
Oh, no, here we go.
There you go.
You're right.
Okay.
Well, there you go.
Also.
No, I know.
Sadie, thanks for having my back, baby girl.
Yeah, there you go.
I told you we have each other's phone numbers now.
You're screwed.
And there's one, there's one person I know.
You're still.
You're the most loyal person in the world.
Bobby Jackson.
Rental family with Brendan Frazier has an interesting rollout.
I saw an added a bus stop.
It seems like a real ad for a rental family and not a movie.
Yeah, that's what they're doing.
I'm curious about that one.
I don't know what's going to do, but we'll see.
Josh Bash.
Oh, my God.
What happened?
That's the ad that you saw, Brandon Fraser.
What?
What? What?
What's going on?
I don't remember that that movie paid me money to do an ad spot.
Oh, is that what they paid you to do that one?
And you forgot what it was.
That's even better.
Because the whole point of the ad was me going up to this bench and not knowing what it was.
I remember the story, but I forgot that.
That's hilarious.
You got paid.
I didn't even know what it was.
That's even better.
That's even better.
All right.
Josh Vashkovich.
Mike, nice shave.
It's actually an amazing premise.
I've seen that.
I'm really excited for that.
I forgot what it's all.
That is fucked off.
Roxy, you blew it.
Holy shit.
Mike, nice shave.
Mike shows the shit.
Roxy, always pretty.
Christian looking great.
Look at.
Eat it, Mike.
Oh, man, I've been in the gym too.
I saw that.
Roxy.
Let's do it, Rox.
Mike's flubby.
Wait, I don't think that, hold on.
I got to do it.
Do it.
Do it.
Let me check on my shirt underneath.
I'm trying on.
I've got to.
Show it, Mike.
Come on, Mike.
You can't really see, but come on.
Yeah.
It's more of my shoulders.
100%.
Let's go ahead.
I want to get
strong.
Get to 100. I'll show it.
That's fair.
That's fair, especially Mikey, because what's happening
right now? 51.
Nathan Drake, you should pay
Mike double today. No. That's right.
You should. Look,
here he goes. He was talking to people off.
I'm not talking to anyone.
Taking him stretching because I'm old and I'm hunched
over. It's fair.
Okay, 51
thus far.
Can you call it the SpongeBob arm
Flex. Both of us? Oh, no.
No, just me.
Oh, Spencer Drake. Please watch
the TV show, Hal and Harper. Currently
airing every Sunday. Saw all eight episodes
at Sundance, and it's my favorite show of the last
few years. Oh, whoa. Oh, there you go. I don't know. Okay, let me write it
on my list. Yeah.
Please.
Hall and Harper.
Mark and Mindy. What just happened?
Hold on. I'm
a second. I'm getting messages.
from my wife yeah she's mad at me because i didn't tell her i'm like i clearly didn't know uh please
watch the tvs okay we did that one already oh she wasn't watching this show and then no
you thought that she no she's she went in she went into the the polling place and and then was
and then was embarrassed so she's mad at me miriam i watched the first two episodes of the new
robin hood series at mgm it looks very promising have you seen it i've actually heard really good
things about this one rock's not even kidding this is the this is the
a problem. MGM Plus has apparently such great stuff like that show from that everybody kept
telling me to watch. Okay. I just don't have this service. So I've been thinking about getting it.
This is what I try to do with these services that I don't have. If I get them, I try to wait for like five
things I want to watch on it so that I can have all the stuff. But I want to see it. I definitely
want to see it. Okay, let's see. So 52. I don't get why. And because MGM's got their deal with, oh, it's
via prime so you could watch it on prime because amazon is mgm so it's always weird to me that you
can't watch it from on prime i think you can watch it from um okay let's see nathan drake is a
springston movie officially dead box office wise yeah it still is an outside shot for award stuff
so upsetting yeah but um but i don't know i'm not sure um yeah i don't know what do you think
you think it's still gonna you still gonna yes i think it's still gonna perform at the awards you
still think he's going to win? I didn't say win.
You did that. No, you did. You did. You did, Rox. Wait, let me fucking finish. I said,
I said, I think he should win. I think he's going to be nominated. I think he should win.
Watch my video. We'll bring it up. The initial conversation was, we'll bring it up,
Rock. Yeah. The original conversation was he'll be nominated and he'll win, is what you said.
I really don't think so. If I did say that, that's Luke's pulling the footage right now.
good. I'm pretty sure I said I he's going to be not and then you said Timothy's
shallame and I said I haven't seen that yeah I said I don't know who's going to win yet but I
just as far as well we'll see we'll see I don't think he's going to win I think he should be
I think he will be nominated I from who I've seen I think he should win okay well we'll see
we'll see a lot of different thing um 54 54 right now 55 yeah we came in strong we're
dying.
Kenya King. I love the
Halloween ranking pod. Felt new
refreshing content wise from R.R.
Cliver and the franchise has said
Freddie Kruger was so low.
All love, though. So thank you so much.
Tara and I did a ranking
of all the Halloween movies for real rejects.
And then
at the very end we ranked all the horror franchises
that we've seen so far. And the reason
why Nightmare and Elm Street was so low
is because there's just too many
stinkers. There's some
amazing nightmare movies.
And Freddie is super high
for us as a villain. But
have you seen all the nightmare movies, you guys?
I've seen a lot of them.
I think so. And some of them
bite. Yeah. Yeah.
You know, it's not the same as some other
franchises where none of them bite.
Like to me, the Childs Play franchise,
there's not one bad movie in the bunch.
Interesting. I got a
I have to revisit. Sydney Hogarth.
Hey, all, Mike, what did you think
of Horowitz's Bond books?
Have you seen the New Zealand film Once We're Warriors, Tomorrow Morrison.
Frightening performance, no.
I don't know about those books.
Are those the, the, continue, like the novels taking place, like, post or like current day novels?
I'll have to look that up.
I look that right now.
Let me look that right now.
Nathan Drake, worst connection.
Old school, Mike or Mark Coleman?
Mark Coleman.
Mark Coleman.
Mark Coleman.
He's a UFC legend, former heavyweight and pride champion.
And so Sarah had him on his show.
And the guy was telling him, a great, a great conversation.
I mean, the guy is amazing stories.
He's a hero.
He rescued his parents from his burning building.
But his internet was so bad.
It kept going in and out.
And we were taping it off Riversides.
They were getting all the good footage.
And then his phone didn't have enough storage.
So it was, it was, it was.
Oh, I remember that.
No, it just happened.
Oh, you mean the fire, the fire. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Back to the use question. Those books I haven't read yet, but I want to. I've not read them yet, though.
Okay. Let's see next one. You had too much going on, ma'am.
It's true. CJ, just finished work. So might have missed Roxy speak on. I just want to get your thoughts on Alex and Brady after last week's the morning show episode.
Man, that was interesting. I don't want to give spoilers because it's too recent. But,
I have a hard time when I end up liking something that I'm like,
I shouldn't like this.
Yeah.
Okay.
Or are you talking?
Is that the name of the guy or is Brady?
Are you saying Bradley?
Is Brady the name of the guy with Alex or is Brady you meaning to say Bradley?
And you're curious about that.
Either way, I think that they're doing a great job this season.
Okay.
Um, next one.
Go pal.
Zoe's Dutch movie is called the threesome all one word premiered at Southby and in theaters in September.
Go pal, you have a, uh, is it, is she your Julia Roberts?
Seymie, Zoe Deutsch's movie.
Yeah, I know, but I'm saying like he seems like he really likes Zoe Doge.
No, I know.
You just said Zoe Dutch's movie.
Oh, whatever.
Uh, go pal.
Roxy delts and tries.
Let's go.
There you go.
my little sponge valve arms
yeah see someone see you got anchor arms
what's that
you got like anchor arms
oh that's good um okay
Alex
you guys have a crazy theater experience
my craziest one sales me convinced I live in the Truman show
to this day you know you gotta give me
you have what happened bro for me it's still it's
mine is the the the Bruno story
I've told that story Mike
I don't know if you ever Mike this is my
this is the one's
Mike will love this story if you haven't heard this before.
Do you remember my story that I told you?
No, I don't.
You'll love this story because it's like, it is such your sense of humor.
And I've told it many times over, but I'll tell it again for people.
Roxy will remember it as soon as she hears it.
So when my wife and I first started dating, we went and we saw,
and we probably dated about a year and a half at that point.
We went and saw Bruno and there's a pack theater at the Grove.
And it's packed.
My wife had brought a whole bunch of like a snack bag, right?
So she brings like these big,
so, you know, Trader Joe's have those big sparkling waters.
Yeah.
So she came into this,
I think it was like orange flavored sparkling water.
I can't even tell the story about laughing.
So,
the movie's right about to start.
And I don't know what happened to it,
but it's this big full bottle.
And I open it up.
It sprays out like a fire.
hose and hits this guy in the face next to me.
He goes, oh, oh, oh.
Like, it just hits him in the face.
And I'm like, I'm so sorry.
I'm so sorry.
And you're on a date?
With my wife.
And it hits the guy in the face like, I'm so, and I'm like, I'm so sorry.
I'm so sorry.
He's covered in it.
I mean, like, like, Rambo in first blood when he spray him with the hose.
And he's like, and his whole face is dripping it.
And I can smell it on him, right?
And the movie starts.
And I'm just thinking about it.
And I'm trying not to laugh because I'm like,
he doesn't like get up the washers?
No, he's just wiping his face off with napkins and stuff.
And like,
You offer to buy him something?
I was too.
I was in shock.
I was in shock.
But like I,
I'm sitting there going in my head.
I'm like,
don't laugh.
Because if you laugh,
he's going to know that it's you.
So I waited for the moment,
like a moment that happened in the movie.
It's going to be you.
How did he not know it was you?
No,
no, no.
I mean like laughing.
I didn't,
want to I didn't want to start laughing like I was sitting next to him and I was thinking about it about because he literally Mike he goes like this goes oh oh oh oh and it just with the dripping down his face and I was just like I didn't want to laugh at the guy I felt terrible but it was hilarious and I'm going I can't laugh because if I start laughing he's going to know him laughing at him so I waited for a moment in the movie that was funny with a whole audience laugh and then I just started crying laughing and it was still it's the one moment.
in my life. You were holding a fucking laughing
for... It is a tank. It was a tank. It was a tank. It was a tank. It was a tank. It was a tank. It was a
soda water. I mean, it was it was, dude, it sprayed out. It was like, it could have like knocked a
three year old over. Okay, you answered the question for all of us. Yes. Sorry.
No, it's good. Yeah. All right. So, anyway, so 60 questions after that story.
Fucking hell. All right, go pal. Triceps are the bulk of the arms. Skull Cushers. Did them today. Did them
today. Yep. Casey Grant,
Roxy, you just, just checked your
Instagram when you mentioned it and your abs. Oh, my girl.
Oh my God, girl. Teach me. You got abs
showing?
Christian.
What?
It's like you don't even care about my Instagram.
I don't check anybody's Instagram.
So rude. I don't check anybody's Instagram.
I have been working out
very hard. It's what you
have to do when you're lonely.
So,
I have an action movie coming out and I
want to look like I could kick somebody's butt.
not because I do in the movie, but just because I want to get stronger.
And, yeah, I've been doing a mixture of like three days a week, Pilates,
two days a week of lifting and a day of cardio.
And it's been very good for my mind, body, soul.
Good. Yeah, it's incredible how much better I felt like mentally over the last like nine months.
Kingsport, Cal, you guys have been funny today.
Glad I was awake.
Thank you.
I'm glad you're.
You pissed me off like four times today, dude.
Oh.
Mirjam.
Support for the lovely Roxy and the lovely mic.
Thank you.
You never pissed me off.
I'm fucking obsessed with you, Gurley.
Nice.
While you're at 60.
Let's see.
Got to find that.
I'm hoping that Luke has found that,
that clip before we get off,
maybe not.
CJ, Bradley,
my bad,
Rock.
I'm open to the fact that I said it,
but if I said that,
that's interesting.
Okay.
I mean,
we might have to do this.
next Tuesday. Unknown.
Had to tell a teenager in the front row to get off his phone
during rebirth. I was sitting in the back and saw a screenline for five minutes.
It's the worst. It's the worst. It's the worst.
By the way, no worries, CJ.
I'll talk more about morning show next week.
Yeah. RQ.S.S.M.C.
Support for Roxy and Mike. Roxy going to put
going to put luggage in overhead without help on the plane now.
That's what I want to do. That's my goal.
Is what? Help someone with their luggage? No. I have to ask.
Every time I go on the plane, I can't put the luggage over my head because my arms aren't strong enough.
And no one ever, no one just ever helps you on your own?
No one.
I have to ask.
And it's usually some like 14 year old scrawny boy where I'm like, can you know?
No one ever says never, never, never.
I feel bad because I always, I would die of having to be never offer.
Every single time.
And most of the time when I ask me, but say, no, I got it.
Most of the time I'm struggling.
People just watch it.
I'm just like, would one of you mind helping?
I am two fly cam.
You think you can take Daisy Ridley, be honest.
I have no idea what Daisy Ridley looks like.
I obviously know who she is, but I have no idea what's her strength.
I'm not sure.
See Michael T. Drake May.
Hell yeah, baby.
And that's it for today, guys.
Let's go Drake May.
So 62.
Not bad, not bad.
But it was a good show.
I agree with Kingsport Cowell.
It was a fun show today, guys.
Roxy, where can the good people find you?
You guys can find me everywhere at Roxy Stryor.
And then Wednesdays and Sundays I go live on my YouTube,
YouTube.com slash Roxy Stryor.
I'm going to put out a review tonight on my socials or tomorrow of Pluribus
if you're as curious about the Vince Gilligan show as I am.
Mike Kalinowski, how about yourself?
Hey, Mike, you, Kellynowski.
Same thing right there.
Easy know.
Guys, thank you for being here.
Kingsport, Cal said,
Roxy, you ain't the first gal I've been, I've pissed off.
Well, here's what I don't like Kingsport Cowell.
Let me tell you.
I don't like anybody who tells me how when I need to move on what I need to do.
Like I like, I think he was trying to help you out on that one.
I don't care whether people are trying to help me out or not when people are like,
you should do this, you should move up, you should drop it, you should this.
I'm constantly being told.
I think he was saying because I was sitting in the routine.
I'm not saying what I feel.
Fine, fine, fine, fine.
I don't like that shit.
I like Kingsport Cowell, but I don't like that shit.
All right.
All right.
I like you guys.
So thank you for.
