Starting point is 00:00:00 D-23, the Disney Expo. It starts today, man. And really, I think the only thing that people are really going to be talking about as far as movie news goes is going to be the panel that they drop a little later on today. Our own Chris Carr will be there. She's going to send us some footage and things that she's seeing, witnessing. And they already showed the Clone Wars, I guess, get up from Asoka season two, Manichin and Asoka and a couple of other people. people so we'll go over that and kind of guess what's going to be happening at star wars and why i think they need to make a pretty big run here and not just rely on asoka if they do that
Starting point is 00:00:40 go home before you even start um but i don't think that's going to happen now christopher abbott has been it's been leaked he's been rumored for professor x but looks like got it and there's also new rumors for storm so can we pretty much say that's a short bet that they're going to start announcing some people tonight for the new X-Men cast? What say you guys? I wish I knew. No, you have nothing to do with this, Clooney. So we're going to be talking, me and Winston, A. Marshall, about this stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:16 So let's get into it. Here we go. Did you shit in there? What's going on, everybody? Welcome back to the show. It is Friday. End of the week here. And someone who's been helping me.
Starting point is 00:01:39 out someone who always helps me out someone's going to help me out again hosting the show two times next week pl d no winston a marshal is here there he is good we switched it over fucking i'm leaving it if my producers aren't doing it then i ain't doing it either i'm just going to leave this shit up your chris car for the day hey man white chicks too i'm here for a show thing up white chicks too i do you understand how badly i want that movie that movie would be fantastic though I don't even know if you can do those movies nowadays like if I'm being honest with you people people too damn sensitive now I think so there you look perfect hey now you're black dude one let's go
Starting point is 00:02:17 I hate my life I can fucking believe why don't I even do this anymore because health insurance is expensive I know I know I'll give PLD some slack because he hurt himself so it's not his fault and Luke's out of town so But I mean, the only thing, though, I don't know if you see this one cover someone, someone said, can a Winston be whimsical and shit? I know.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Unbelievable. So we are back and we're glad to be here. Now, look, I think you, you want to guess who your competition is this week? Myself? No, you're in last place, my friend, right now. God damn. You're in Rocher and last. You guys shit the bet on Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:02:59 It was a good show. But you guys are in last by a lot. when I'm not on the show, I just go like this. But no, right now, right now the answer is Mike Kalinowski. He is in the lead right now. I think with Aroka in the second place, Chris Carr in third, and you and Rocha in fourth, but I'm just hoping to please beat myself. You can turn, well, don't say that because that's, we'll get kicked off the air for that.
Starting point is 00:03:29 So if you're going to be compared to, beating against yourself. That's another conversation, but we have a lot to discuss because dude, this is some big stuff. We got going on here this weekend and Luke had asked me, he said, he said, you know, are you going to cover
Starting point is 00:03:46 this stuff tonight? You go back to the office and I'm like, yeah, maybe. And then it's, I'm like, what time is it drop? He goes, 10 year time. I go, nope, I will not be at the office doing that. However, I might just kind of shoot the stuff from my phone and edit it if I have to because I think there's going to be some pretty big 10 year time.
Starting point is 00:04:02 is in tonight. Yeah, it's 7 o'clock, your time. Oh, I didn't, I didn't realize, I thought there was a day thing. I didn't realize it was a nighttime thing. Well, I mean, D23 is a daytime thing, but I think that they're starting. I don't know why they're doing it at 7 o'clock, I guess because the other stuff, we can just dive into that, because I guess that's what Luke did send us is the actual panel schedule. So let me bring that up in a second.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Oh, I have to do that again. because it's a new thing. Hold on a second. Give me a moment. When I switched over the overlays, I had to do this again. Okay. Here is the schedule.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Let me get Winston's audio in. Give me a amendment. There you go. Winston's in there now. D-23 panel schedule every major Marvel event and the dates and times. Disney's D-23,
Starting point is 00:04:57 expose full of the exciting panels, set to deliver news from Marvel, Star Wars, and more. Marvel Studios is set to break the internet. internet once again with major announcements and big reveals at the 2026 edition of D23, the ultimate Disney fan event this coming weekend. The MCU recently made headlines during Hall H at San Diego Comic Con, marking the studios return to the iconic venue after skipping 2025.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Panel was a fever dream for Marvel fans as a broad exclusive, looks at Doomsday, Endgame Encore, and as well as the surprise announcement of Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider, confirmation of Black Panther 3 and David Johnson. While there is no standalone Marvel Studios panel at D23 this year, the brand is aiming to build on the strong momentum and receive that Comic Con and Spider-Man's brand new day success through a slate of other panels, legacy celebrations, yada, yada, yada, right? So we're going to have the art of the score that's going to be, you know, set to take the spotlight. He's going to that'll be fun. I would enjoy that panel. I don't know how much new news is going to come out of that, but that's, that's fun. Disney Entertainment Showcase. Is that this is it? So it is 7 o'clock until 9 o'clock. I'll probably can just have the whole, it's going on. this makes me think that this is going to be a massive huge event because doing it's right at seven o'clock it's like you're you're really asking people hey it's a night it's a nighttime event you're going to leave you want to get people excited i think that i think the whole situation especially with it being a friday i feel like this
Starting point is 00:06:19 feels like like you said this is a big finale for the day and also we want to make sure everybody's home you know like the east coast will will be in bed watching from their phones everybody in the West Coast probably just finally got their, you know, juice box or their wine. So, well, listen, the showcase in general is two hours. And it normally, I've been to these D23 Disney showcases. They, they put a lot into them. And it is really to show their entire slate of everything that they have coming up, not just, not just Star Wars.
Starting point is 00:06:53 It's all of it. It's the whole package. And for the third day in a row, the whole kit and caboodle, and it is Star Wars, it is Disney, it is Pixar, Marvel, the whole thing. And so we're going to look at Vision Quest, which finally I think we're going to get, so that's what we'll do, Winston,
Starting point is 00:07:11 in just a moment after I read this stuff up, we're going to kind of give our idea of what will be exclusive, what will be shown there, and then shown to us. So Vision Quest and Daredevil Season 3, Vision Quest is definitely getting a trailer out there for sure. Yeah. Probably something for the audience to look out for Daredovo, Born Again, season three. Marvel's time during the marquee Friday night presentation is expected to be limited,
Starting point is 00:07:35 but potential reveal such as the X-Men reboot cast for the Mutant Saga have been circulated in the rumor mill ahead of D-23. In the 2025 edition of D-23, a brief look at Avengers Doomsday and the confirmation of Marvel animations. Remaining 2025 slate were showcased. Oh, my God. This just made me realize I'm going to be in Anaheim all day-to-day. that traffic is going to be fucking awful. Oh, God. It might be farting awful.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Oh. Yeah, it's, it depends on the time you go, but yeah, not going to be great. Well, it depends on when you go, because everybody's there, too, but it's, you know, it just depends. So if you, um, if,
Starting point is 00:08:16 if we're just going over that breakdown right there, as far as Marvel goes, I think Vision Quest is a given. That's a given. We're getting that. And I think that, that people who don't go, to D23 getting that trailer today. I think that's going to happen. They need to hype that
Starting point is 00:08:29 show up from the rumor mill is that it's a pretty good seasons, which is serious. I just binge watched 12 monkeys, so I'm high on Terry Mattalus right now. People, I guess, from what he did with Picard also high on him, he is pretty passionate about this in general. So I'm excited for that to see what that's going to be and how that's going to play in to this overall storyline that they seem to have right now. And they're also going off the hype of what's going on with Spider-Man. Right? So I do think for shows, because I don't think what if isn't happening anymore, it's done, right?
Starting point is 00:09:09 Yeah. Okay. So, and then are they doing another Spider-Man? Yeah. You're a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. If you go further in the article, they're talking about how there's going to be a season two. But not during that panel. Not during that panel, but it is happening.
Starting point is 00:09:26 celebrate 65 years of Marvel Spider-Man. We'll dive into that, but the actual panel itself for Marvel, you're going to get those TV shows for sure. Now, as far as movies and announcements of X-Men and things, I do think that that trailer that came out for Avengers that they showed, um, Day at the end,
Starting point is 00:09:44 I think that they'll show that again for sure to the audience. Now, the, the guess and the one I'm not too sure about is whether or not we get that today. I think if they really want to hype, it's been a little bit since we got, you know, it's been a couple weeks since we got that little kind of teaser thing. I'm going to go with 95% that they show it to the audience there. I'm going to go with 40% that they show it to us, which is still pretty big. That's still a pretty decent number. That's almost a 50% shot. Yeah, I would say
Starting point is 00:10:25 that they'll probably, I'm going to go stronger than that. I'll say a solid 60, 70% chance. Did they show it to us? They show it to us because I think that that's the whole thing is that at that point, you made it exclusive for Comic-Con.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Now this is an opportunity, like a number of people that were probably at Comic-Con or at D-23. So, at that point, you might as well just say, F it, especially knowing that a shitty version leaked after Hall H anyway, which was going to happen regardless.
Starting point is 00:10:57 So you might as well put it out and give them a quality one. It just maybe we don't get it immediately. Maybe it's something we get like Saturday morning and they all got it tonight. I think you ride the wave of, I think you ride the wave of the popularity of Marvel right now with Spider-Man. Regardless, I agree with anybody who says, well, Spider-Man's a different thing. It's Spider-Man. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:11:19 I agree with you. However, it's still associated with Marvel. People are excited. And I think full tickets for for Doomsday even go on sale today. I know that some of it went on sale. I don't know. It's kind of there was the, I forget what it was. It was the, it was limited what was available the first round.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Now there's more screenings that are coming to be available when it would make sense. And when they're putting a bigger push for tickets, you release another trailer. So I mean, you could be right with that 70%. And I, and I actually forgot about that. So I'll up mine to 55%. Okay, okay. Respect, respect. Yeah, so that's a big one there too.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Now, Doomsday, and then we know already, I don't think we're going to get any more about Ghost Rider. I don't think we're getting any more about Black Panther. You might get a little bit of Black Panther, and that's only because of its ties potentially to X-Men. I think there is a world. I'm very curious how much of the X-Men they're actually going to introduce. I think for sure, you probably get Storm introduced, and my thought process behind that is that, it gives you some X-Men and if they really are going to do Storm tied to Wakanda for a little bit, that that's also a world there.
Starting point is 00:12:30 But I don't think you're getting much more about either of those projects. I don't think Black Panther will have their own thing because the reason why you have to look at, it's a two-hour panel. Disney's going to get at least 15, 20 minutes at Disney animation as well as Pixar's probably going to get another, it would probably be a half an hour at least, if not 45 minutes. of the animation side of things right star wars will probably get 30 minutes as well and then marvel probably get 30 minutes and whatever else they're going to pepper in there with the the stuff for disney plus and other things that they have so you have to fit in if it is do doomsday
Starting point is 00:13:10 if it is vision quest if they do daredevil and if they do the x-men cast that's it now what i don't disagree with is if they do announce storm i think that they announced storm that she's going to in Black Panther 3. That's what I mean. That's what I was specifically kind of referring to. And not like maybe they mentioned Black Panther 3, but they don't necessarily do like a whole thing, like a whole presentation for it yet. It's going to be focused on X-Men.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Now there might be something where they talk about X-Men 97 first and then lead into the X-Men in general to show what's going on. And I switched over from the panel for a second to get into this because before this, before this this for this happens today there was a leak um that professor x has already been cast and this usually happens that right before a big announcement happens scoopers get a hand of a hold of it and then that's all she wrote so let's jump into we're expecting at least some of the main cast of marvel stew's x-man reboot to be announced at d23 later on but it seems the actor playing charles ozavia hasn't been revealed a little early nothing's been going to
Starting point is 00:14:22 affirmed yet several reliable sources are reporting that there will be some kind of X-related announcement during D-23 later today. We've heard the entire main cast has not been locked down, but a partial reveal is likely and the name of one actor appears to have been disclosed a little early. We can expect Christopher Abbott to be announced as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Charles Xavier. Last week, a crucial, a rumor circulated online that Marvel had already cast someone to play Professor X and the actor had previously appeared in the Marvel Project.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Abbott, 40, played the foreigner in Craven the Hunter. I wouldn't have remembered that. I wouldn't be there at all. If you asked me, if you asked me to put my lives of every single person that I know on the line and asked me who played the foreigner, that's part one. This was a five point question in Interdigdom, bro. This should have been a 75 point question because not only would I have gotten wrong who it was, I wouldn't even be able to tell you that the foreigner was in the movie. I, me either, but that's exactly well, but I see what you say. Every one of you would be gone.
Starting point is 00:15:26 His other credits include Wolfman that I remember. Poor things. Yeah, he was really good in that. Bring them down and catch 22. Assuming this report is accurate, Abbott will join Samar Weaving, Kit Connor, and of course, Sadie Sink. The reboots core team is said to consist of the original comic book crew. Other characters such as Rogue Storm and possibly Jubilee will be likely introduced later in the movie. Charles Melton, who is believed to be in contention to play Hank McCoy, not melaton, has Mike Kalanowski once said.
Starting point is 00:15:56 No, he didn't. He did that on purpose to me. He set me up and he kept telling me this melaton. I know it's not Smelton. He's saying, no, no, no, it's penitone. But what do you expect from Mr. Cook? You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook. So anyway, let's jump back to that.
Starting point is 00:16:23 So then we get, he had to say something about the rumors with the playlist. He said, depends on what day or moment you catch me on. Right now, I'd say I think I believe in Jake and Sunny so much that I would love to work with them again in more times. They know that I try to stay here from the fodder as much as I can. So I've been limited myself to Googling myself, maybe 20 times a day instead of 50. It was really bad before. suddenly we did this everything it's everybody who's doing it and then i also want to just jump into this real quick because there's so many rumors about storm and we have a new rumor about storm and x marie but eyes poor things star
Starting point is 00:16:54 they're really jumping after poor things yeah they really are yeah love that movie i love that i still haven't seen it i love that movie uh mark rufflow to me is is is is unbelievable in that movie anyway uh star susy bemba as the mccc So I don't know her. Cast of Marvel Studios X-Men reboot could be revealed at D-23. New rumor suggests that French actress Susie Bamba is in the mix to play Storm in the MCU. With looking increasingly like the Marvel Studios will introduce the X-Men at D-23 tonight. It's another update at the bottom of the story. A possible frontrunner for Storm has been revealed.
Starting point is 00:17:32 According to Jeff Schneider, French actress Susie Bamba is in the mix to play Aurora Monroe. Nothing is set in stone at this point, but talking on the hot mic, the insider posted that Black Panther 3 director, Ryan Cougar may have a hand-picking Storm. Well, this is what you're saying. There have been rumors that Storm's going to appear in the next Black Panther movie, debuting there instead of X-Men. With that, stage would be likely for her and other mutants to stay in this, with mutants to factor into the second X-Wil movie as a team roster continues to expand. Bemba is known for roles in poor things, Homecoming, which, not Spider-Man, Homecoming. and the horror films uh canadian born in 2000 that's crazy to like this one of european films promotion of twenty twenty four european shooting stars that was previously named one of univrancest ten
Starting point is 00:18:22 to watch she's also the founder of the actors association a group established to support french performers and improve protections on film sets um okay so let's start with this because this is a new name and different from some of the other names that have been circulate. The X from sinners who are like a lot. Remind me or her name. Oh, God. I know you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:18:56 She played Perline. I remember her character. I couldn't tell you the actress. The audience will tell us in a second. And there were tons of other rumors. I'll tell you, I don't know anything about this woman that they just rumored. But I'll tell you why I like her the best. best so far age they're going it it it Jamie Lawson thank you it tells us more about what if
Starting point is 00:19:24 she is cast it tells you more about where they're going because the question has been what version of storm are they going to go are they going to go with the contemporary are they going to go with storm who is a teacher or they get you the older version um but this seems born in 2000 20 26 years old. Seems like she's going to be right around with not maybe a couple of years older than the Sadie Sink or anybody else who's cast. So I don't know her her talents, but I also trust in Ryan Coogler. If he's, if he's the one who's looking into casting, I like Jake Schrears approach so far. So what do you say, Winston? I mean, I'm here for it. I mean, the one thing that that a lot of black folk have just been talking about in that regard is
Starting point is 00:20:09 the idea of Storm is typically depicted in most of the comics as a darker-skinned individual. And so you've had, what I met, Alexander's ship and Halle Berry, both who did fantastic jobs. But I'm glad that they're going this particular route. I'm glad they're going this route as far as age where all of these kids seem to be somewhere between their mid to late 20s. So collectively, they all are fitting as a puzzle piece together. And I think that that really works. I love the fact that they're making Storm.
Starting point is 00:20:39 a contemporary to Gene because like we saw in 97, there is a bond between the two of them as being sisters, essentially, like, you know, found sisters. And even to that point, the other, the other dynamic that is always so interesting, they both have an ungodly amount of power, both Gene and Storms. So it would also be interesting to see that comparison as those two kind of go. So I'm here for it a thousand percent. And I, and I, the one thing that I said that I'm glad that they're doing, I think it makes more sense to do your core five. I think, like, like obviously Iceman was around in those first few movies, but I don't, I don't feel like we really have a chance to explore Bobby other than like the one scene with his family when they're going to hide. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:21:30 And X2. So I like the idea if they're really going to core five, we get more Iceman as far. as that goes we get more time with angel because again i feel like angel has been kind of a joke twice now both in the last stand it was kind of shitty and then in apocalypse it was i really didn't like that um so you put all that together um and i really enjoy the idea of xavier's got his original team and they're finding other mutants throughout that movie to bring into the fold i think that that makes a lot of sense. And again, going with Storm, you know, in Black Panther and then the X-Men are like, you should come over with us, man, come roll with us. I think that that's
Starting point is 00:22:14 great. I genuinely think that that would be a smart move. And it's allowing his time to breathe. It's allowing us time to think. Yeah, definitely. I agree with you. I think that you got to, you do, and you have to build those characters. And one of the things that will happen and should happen is the first person that will be announced on stage will not be Professor X, it will not be Christopher Abbott, who I also think could be good casting. I mean, he's been good what he is. I think he'll be announced, but he won't be first. The first person announced will be Sadie Sink.
Starting point is 00:22:46 It'll be the first person. Because it's done. Because it's not only is it done, you're going to get such a pop from the crowd. A thousand percent. When she comes out and you're going to, it'd be a mistake if you don't. If you don't bring her out first, bringing out. Christopher Abbott first is a mistake. And I'm talking more in the performance of the audience itself.
Starting point is 00:23:06 As far as everybody else watching and learning the information, it doesn't really matter. But if you're designing, you know, a crowd reaction, you get Sadie Sink out there first because we know she's being announced. It's coming off of the most popular movie out right now and possibly, we'll definitely maybe possibly for the year, possibly one of the biggest ones of all time, if not the biggest movie of all time depends um and you open with her to get these the screaming and the yelling and everyone excited that she is going to do this and you saw her in spider-man and now we saw her on the bus at the end or whatever she was doing where she was going and who does she meet professor
Starting point is 00:23:46 x and who better than professor x and our new cast boom and here comes professor x and then they go with and then this and then this or what you could do is that you if you because you're talking about Black Panther, which is coming out, I think first, you could announce Storm first. I still think it's a disservice. It doesn't, you already know, you already know that Sadie Sink is in it. So show me the person that's in it and give me the, you know, the cheap pop, as is saying, wrestling. Give me the cheap pop quick.
Starting point is 00:24:17 And then start giving me the new, the new cast. And maybe you do, I don't know, I think that maybe you could do, I don't know how you're going to do it, but in the maneuvering of the new X-Men. I think Beast will be, I think this Charles Melton is going to be announced. I think that that's a thing that's already going to happen, especially with his relationship with Trier. Cyclops obviously is coming out. I think they're going to give us somebody that we didn't know or hasn't been rumored.
Starting point is 00:24:44 I think it'll be, in all honestly, I really, really hope that they're doing the Core 5. And if they are, then you, the two we haven't heard are Iceman and Angel. That would be, that would be your, that would be your surprise and delight, I guess, is what you would say since everything else has leaked at this point. So I would be here for that honestly Like I think I just think as far as that goes There's so much that that branches out
Starting point is 00:25:10 Outside of the five the five really is that starting point And I get that like for so many people You know X-Men books didn't really sell until you got the chance It's been blah blah blah I fucking get that But like let's we are starting over We have all the time in the world And there are such intricate storylines that if you take the time to get to know Angel and then figure out why he becomes
Starting point is 00:25:32 Apocalypse's horseman of death when we eventually get to Apocalypse. If you take the time with Iceman and the kind of stuff that we get out of him and his immaturity and everything else like that to becoming an omega-level mutant, there's so much there that branches out that's starting from that place. No one's saying it's going to be what was that. I think it was almost a decade before the Giant's X-Men thing. It wasn't that far, but it was close. It was like maybe seven years
Starting point is 00:25:57 or something. Nobody's saying wait that long. it's literally this is your starting movie that then branches out immediately so you would immediately if we're meeting storm and we're meeting rogue and we're meeting all of them and then they add to the team so then movie number two kind of like what we did with like uh the first avengers movie it was like okay here are your core six and then immediately we started adding you know wanda and vision and all you build you build you build out you build out and you make you get the characters to where people are invested and and again because you're putting in and Sadie's saying to start with it,
Starting point is 00:26:29 you're capitalizing off of, it'll be probably your third movie you're going to see her in by the time we get to there. So it'll be, because she's going to show up in Secret Wars. Right. Anyway, so curious what people think,
Starting point is 00:26:42 is there anything else? I think that that's it, Winston, as far as Marvel goes, I don't think they need to do anything else. I think that's enough. I think you end that with X-Men because that will probably, they're probably going,
Starting point is 00:26:52 if I'm Star Wars, I'm asking, for the last spot because what star wars has done in the past was played second fiddle to marvel a few times and rightfully so because marvel has been and still is the bigger game in town but marvel just had a pretty big showing at comic come star wars needs to have a big showing this time around and we'll talk about that in just a moment but before we do my energy has been really good lately. And the Kachava Shakes have been a major, major reason why.
Starting point is 00:27:33 So if you haven't already tried them, I'll tell you about them. And then you should try it. So check it out. All right. Wait a minute. This is great. Princess, are you serious? Because that's amazing.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Because it means you missed the show the other day. And I'm glad. So I'm going to introduce you to Mr. Cook. A full thing on Mr. Cook. I'd rather stick up. hot iron in my mouth and welcome that serial murderer into this colony. Besides, it's been so long since we've been to a party. I'm not exaggerating.
Starting point is 00:28:03 You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook. I demand satisfaction. My favorite is the slap. The second time we go. This one, this one. Dude, the best part is, I think it was Haskell, but somebody sent me an S&L sketch. I guess they did this past year where it was essentially that. you have offended me sir and it's just them slapping the shit out of each other and
Starting point is 00:28:37 keenan's in the back be like don't do it don't like everybody's talking old english he's like don't don't do it and then someone does and he just starts upper cutting everybody but no dude mr cook i'm never going to call mike anything else again he's mr cook from now on so good you're offended me for the last time mr cook do you think him and shanan role play mr cook and mrs cook i don't think he realized he was mr cook until somebody found that clip i'm i think mike long forgot about mr cook until that came up. But he'll never forget it ever again after being on this show.
Starting point is 00:29:08 I'll tell you that. Never, ever. You've offended me for the last time, Mr. Cook. Anytime he opens his mouth or says something, numb nuts or whatever else he says, I'm just going to go. You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook. Mr. Cook. If you ever revive the Shmowdown, you understand that he has to have an alternate.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Oh, 100%. Like hit up a, do a Flintstone to him with a frying pan? all of a sudden he forgets that he's Mike Kalinowski, the killer, and instead he's Mr. Cook. 100% Mr. Cook. There couldn't have been a better name. Yeah, I agree. However they found that clip,
Starting point is 00:29:48 I think that, I think Alan Smith he found it. But when they talked about that and they showed it, the only thing that I picked out is the fact that Mr. Cook, amazing. You offended me for the last time, Mr. Cook. Okay. Well, right now, Mr. Cook is beating. you we got to beat mr cook because we have 17 right now and we need to catch mr cook in order
Starting point is 00:30:12 for instance to do it he's got to hit some big numbers here well i offer i offered uh during that show but i offered it pretty late that um if if we're just looking for embarrassing random old acting stuff because we've done the luchador roca and now we have mr cook i can show my very first like professional gig which was a ridiculous beer commercial uh yeah definitely i We had a clip for you burst into the door and doing that dance. Yeah, from sitting to the max. Yeah, that doesn't embarrass me at all, man. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:30:43 It's great. Yeah. Shit. What was that thing? I don't know. Piltie has, I think it's a secret stash somewhere. Which one? What are you looking for?
Starting point is 00:31:02 No, that. Oh, he played it. He played that. I don't know. I can't find anything. Anyway, let's get to, as we mentioned beforehand, with the big panels that are happening because I guess briefly
Starting point is 00:31:14 and then PLD if you can find this stuff well yeah let me I'll go back before we get into Star Wars I'll go back into the panels of what they're doing let's do that because as Winston mentioned earlier they're going to do Spider-Man 65 years of Spider-Man
Starting point is 00:31:33 which is a per I mean this is really you couldn't find a better time to do this panel I mean it's perfect brand new day the animated series Marvel Spidey and his amazing friends, friendly Spider-Man season two, as Winston said beforehand. Aside from the on-screen project,
Starting point is 00:31:47 Spider-Man's milestone, one-thousandth comic issue, exclusive toys, media appearances will also be highlighted. That'll be, that's going to be a, this is the type of panel to me that what you're going to get out of it for news is the trailer for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man too. But this is why you go to these events if you're a fan. If you're a Spider-Man fan, this is probably going to,
Starting point is 00:32:07 it's going to be great. So that's, and that's tomorrow at 1 o'clock. That's a fun one. Disney Marvel, a legacy of stories. You don't think there's anything in there. This is just one of those, again, the reason why. When you're there, you have fun. Great.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Marvel D20s, Marvel fanfare. It's Marvel Comics. Future digital comics. This is, this team. I'm being honest with you, this stuff, these types of panels, even though I'm not super interested in them, this to me seems more the type of stuff that should be at Comic-Con and outside of just Marvel,
Starting point is 00:32:42 maybe other things like these types of panels. And they have them kind of buried behind, but you're getting real big, huge panels and making that a thing and putting some shows on and stuff. Like, that's better than some of these other stupid panels that they do at San Diego. Some of them are just like, what are you doing? Disney Experience Showcase, okay?
Starting point is 00:33:05 Now that's on Saturday. So what is that? that's going to be dedicated to the theme parks, resorts cruise ships. Right. I mean, there's so many, like theme park and cruise ship heads that that'll be major for people.
Starting point is 00:33:17 So what I was looking for more so is what's happening on the Disney plus side of things. And not Disney Plus, but like the Disney movie, where's fan amateurs? Is it in here? What's coming out? What anime movie movie? Is it a bit here?
Starting point is 00:33:32 He came back. He came back. Oh, okay. Yeah. So what, what movies are, are coming out. I'm surprised that this wasn't a new...
Starting point is 00:33:39 There's a rumor that there's a announcement for a Pixar, a new Pixar movie. What, Frozen 3 or something? I don't, I think, I don't know. I've heard Frozen 3 is also in the works, but also maybe a new original from Pixar as well, potentially.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Oh, does this make sense? Blowy movie. That makes sense. I'm also, I also, I'm surprised we didn't put this on the run sheet, though. You know that like the Beyond the Spiderverse like teaser leaked yesterday. Yeah, it's Sony.
Starting point is 00:34:05 No, no, I understand that that's Sony, but even, I know we're talking D23 specifically, but just as far as just like, yeah, yeah, yeah, that popped off. Oh, that'd be interesting. Yeah, it leaked. Is that what you said? Yeah, like they did a full teaser of, of essentially miles, the miles that we've been following talking to the prowler miles and then they do like a whole like, I don't want to know. Don't tell me. Don't tell me. Okay. So, okay, so, Paw Patrol movie would be interesting. Not Paw Patrol movie. Sorry, just because they had Pop Patrol on the brain. Um, the bluey movie. Now, I wonder what else will. Yeah, Incredibles 3 somebody is Sam, guess that's a possibility, right?
Starting point is 00:34:47 I think I, I think that's probably going to happen. I think there's not necessarily Incredibles 3, but one of their big movies, the Pixar movies is going to get a big sequel, whether it's Frozen 3, Incredibles 3, something like that's going to be announced for sure. Frozen 3 news, Frozen 3 trailer. Yeah, I think that's probably what.
Starting point is 00:35:04 I think Blue movie definitely. I'll tell you, Winston, whenever you wind up having the Bambinos, I hope that Blue is still around. It's such a- Bluey goes hard like that? It's just such a sweet show. It really is like a really sweet show for kids.
Starting point is 00:35:25 Like my wife and I just would get, because my daughter, my youngest now is like watching YouTube. She watches the Salish Matters girl, and it's like, it's just all, it's on the damn TV all the time. Um, but when she goes to bed, she still kind of reverts back into being five or six years old and she grabs herself some some milk and cookies and she watches bluey and it's like it's the best. It's the best. It's just like a really. Yeah, it's really it's really great. Um, Frozen. That's true. Frozen is not a Pixar movie. Frozen is a Disney movie. So frozen will probably be during the Disney side of things. And I'll probably get, um, incredible. So that's a, that's a very good point. Thank you for that. Um, so I think that that's going to be, uh, I think we might get both of those. Incredibles. And so that will be the big announcement for Disney.
Starting point is 00:36:10 One of those big things, you probably have Josh Gad. He'll probably come out. He comes out at every. How could he, but wait, how could he come out, though? Remember,
Starting point is 00:36:18 he's lost somewhere inside a doormand. Like, Josh Gad is gone forever. Like, they had to, recast. I was going to say something that I don't even really necessarily mean, but it's like,
Starting point is 00:36:27 if we could only be so lucky, but I just, but I don't, I don't really mean it. I don't know. Josh Gad of all people? I mean, I don't know. He's just, you know what, I just, I don't find him as funny as I think he thinks he is sometimes.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Like, it's like there are times that I love Ms. Ola, love him. And I happen to think he's one of the best moderators on any of these panels. So if he does wind up moderating a panel and doing something, he's really good as far as that goes. I just, there's been a lot of time that he has hosted stuff. I don't know how it's stuff, been in stuff and comedic roles that I've been like, I just don't know where he came from. He came from Broadway. didn't he yeah yeah and he he was in uh oh shit what was he in the the freaking south park guys did it oh i can't remember what it was but he he was in the play i can't remember uh the book of
Starting point is 00:37:17 mormon yes okay so that i just i just remember all this thing he just a well i know that but i but when he came into hollywood no i was i'm saying he's been around and that's what it was he been around he was he had been around on broadway he'd start showing up and he was in yeah he was you know, he was in a bunch of things that they tried to put him as like the best friend comedic schick thing and it just never landed with me. I never laughed at him. I never got
Starting point is 00:37:42 to that part. And then there were a couple things that he did and then I remember when he was cast as Olaf. I was like, oh, that guy, he's great as Olaf. I don't think there's anybody else could be Olaf. But then I actually were kind of turned around on him a little bit was when I did see him hosting like a Star Wars panel at it must have been a celebration.
Starting point is 00:37:58 He was amazing. He's really good at hosting those types of things. But anyway, he'll show up. I was going to say probably my favorite thing with his, do you know who Jennifer Lewis is? Older black woman. I'm trying to, yeah, if you look her up real quick, there is an absolutely hysterical video
Starting point is 00:38:21 of Josh Gad being Jennifer Lewis to her face and then going back and forth. It might be one of the funniest fucking videos I have ever. see of like a behind the scenes type of thing. Oh, I know who she is. I know she's. Um, so yeah, so he'll show up. He'll be there in one way or another.
Starting point is 00:38:42 And that's what we're going to get. Now, he very well could host some Star Wars stuff. I doubt it though. Because this is the first year. They're doing D23 with Flonny as the official guy.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Now, every single time and I've said this before, every single time that I have been at these presentations for D23 when Star Wars comes out, I have said the same thing over and over and over again, which is, why isn't Faloni doing this? Because Kathleen Kennedy does not seem like she wants to be here. And I literally would watch her read off of the thing that they scroll. And she's just reading it word for word with no enthusiasm, whatever. And I was like, no, there are certain people that should be presenting these things.
Starting point is 00:39:27 And this is not it. And I said, Faloni always should be because he does care. Now, he has to make an impact here. Yeah. And what would be in what I could see him doing, which would be a complete felony move, I think would be a colossal error, is if Star Wars is just about Asoka season two.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Because I keep getting this question. I got to talk about this yesterday. And some people didn't agree with me, but I stick with it. I'm showing Sam the Mandalorian right now. She's watching on the live act. action stuff. So I got the comment again today on the episode. Don't you think you should watch all of the Clone Wars and Rebels before anything else? So Sam knows who Assoca is. I was like,
Starting point is 00:40:09 why is that my problem? You know, like it shouldn't like for a live action, Filoni should not make it required homework for if you're making a live action Disney Plus series. It's one thing if you're putting them in the animated series, that's your audience. You have an idea, you know who you're going after. The live action stuff is going after everybody, or at least it should be for the amount of money that it costs. So why should it be required viewing for someone to watch six seasons of Clone Wars, four seasons of Rebels or whatever it is in order to know what's going on? I was like, I'm not doing that there. And that's the whole thing. I still haven't seen Clone Wars or Rebels myself. I understand that that's where the character came,
Starting point is 00:40:54 but I think that's the thing, especially if you do a jump like that, you need to be able to, it needs to be able to stand on its own to at least somewhat. Like you need to be able to, like even if you are just introduced to that character, it should be able to stand on its own to at least somewhat. Any good storytelling, even if you're telling a story,
Starting point is 00:41:14 you should be able to follow what's happening one way or the other. And to be fair, spoiler, I guess, is that Sam wasn't lost. I had to explain to her a couple things about it. Would she have the same investment in the character? had she watched all of that stuff?
Starting point is 00:41:30 Probably not. She would definitely have more of an investment if she'd watched all of it. But again, it makes it required viewing in order to do it. I like the fact that Asoka came in, but the thing is what the Asoka series itself should be relying on is, if you're a first time viewer and you're invested enough in the Mandalorian that that's the first time you discovered her, did you like her enough to watch a full series of her in live action? That should be the question. It should not be, oh, well, you got to go back and watch all the animated stuff.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Because not everybody, fan amoeuvre, earmuffs, not everybody loves animation. And when you have, and everybody does, I'm not saying it's not for everybody, but not everybody loves it. And so, and Sam, like, she digs animation, but she doesn't want to watch seven, seasons, eight seasons of animation in order to find out what one character is. It's just, it's that, it's that amount of time. That's the problem is that you cannot ask, especially if you're
Starting point is 00:42:33 trying to take things to the next level and bring people back into the fold, you cannot ask them to run back and watch a million things. It's one of the complaints we've actually had about the MCU with Disney Plus and all the shows is that like you're giving me too much homework. But this is the same point.
Starting point is 00:42:49 By the time she showed him in, Lorien, I hadn't watched Rebels and only some Clone Wars. I wasn't lost watching the episode. That was Sam too. Sam too. She wasn't lost. I had to tell her a couple of things, but it worked. It was fine. But I'm just saying like, oh, you got to watch the Clone Wars. No, you shouldn't have to. You got to watch Rebels. She won't know what's going on. That's, that's a, that's a, that's a floney thing. That's not a, that's not a me problem. But speaking of Asoka, the news is running around right now about the fact that we've got some Asoka stuff.
Starting point is 00:43:21 on where is it hold on this is the that's not it now it's so funny is that i think pl d you can pop in here for this because we this show won't get any credit so we'll give ourselves credit we reported on the fact that anakin and obi won were going to be in this show what two years ago whatever it was and everybody else is going to get the credit for it but that's fine um so to be fair i also said that sadie sink was going to be uh um glenestasy so so things that not not everything works the things you hear, but, but the fair, the fair news is no one's giving me credit for this or the other one, but also no one's giving me shit for the other one. So, so, so I'll take it. It's a win. All right. Anyway, Asoka's season to D-23 display, the real new Anakin Skywalker costume may confirm more Clone Wars flashbacks.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Thanks to a D-23 display for the second season of Soca, we have a first look at the new costume for Anakin Skywalker, which appear to confirm we will return to the events of the Clone Wars. D23 is set to get underway later today, and we are expecting a few Star Wars announcements on Saturday. For now, we have a look at the show floor display, and the display features some concept art in the background. Most of it debuted during last year's Star Wars celebration. Costumes first of being Ren, Grand Animal Thrawn, the Great Mother,
Starting point is 00:44:41 one of the nine sisters, and Asokitano yourself. But most intriguingly, we have a first look at what appears to be Anakin Skywalker's Snow Suit from the Clone Wars animated series. We knew that Hayden Christensen would be back. Anakin returned as a Force ghost in the season one finale, but it looks like we'll also have a flashback to Skywalker's pre-Darth Vader days, when a young Osokka was his Padawan. Christians are reprised his role in the first season,
Starting point is 00:45:03 appearing in the world between worlds after a lightsaber duel with Bailen Skull, and Anakin served as a spirit guide of sort, forcing Assook to confront her past and potential future. It remains to be seen. The teaser for Assoca Season 2 will release during D-23, but we're expecting a first look at Star Wars Starfighter. All right, so here are some of the pictures right there. see them.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Pele, definitely stick around for this because I have so many thoughts. I know you love everything about this, and I know that you would just want them to just focus on Asoka, and you'll be just fine in Dandy with that if they do. I'll jump in here real quick, actually.
Starting point is 00:45:34 I have a secondary source. I've been getting more sources and Star Wars, and I don't know the validity of this source. I have never... Spit it out, man. I will say that you are going to be happy and that they are not going to... They will focus on Osoka at the D23 panel itself,
Starting point is 00:45:48 but they're going to show it, teaser of Soka, but they're not going to get that publicly. We're going to get Starfighter publicly. That makes sense. And what I've also heard is that Disney and Philonia kind of come to agreement. They're going to have Asoka be like the Star Wars niche audience thing, but they're going to focus more in the movies going forward as like the big event stuff. Like we're still going to have the Soka series be like, we're going to draw on
Starting point is 00:46:10 an Anakin Skywalker, Hayden Christensen. That's going to be the draw to get that people to watch that stuff, the old Star Wars fans. But they're going to really focus more on like marketing and stuff and everything and pushing Starfighter and what's going to happen beyond that. Okay. And that all makes sense. I was predicting around a couple of those types of things. Now, when it comes to Asoka Season 2,
Starting point is 00:46:30 if that is indeed the case going on for the information that PLD just gave us, right? Then, okay, well, what they need to do, though, with that series, because as we just mentioned with that whole conversation, if you can't lose people, this is, if it is for the niche audience, and it didn't cost that, I'd probably cost a little bit more, to be honest, because because it's real locations now. Right. Which is a positive for me.
Starting point is 00:46:52 And I like that. Now, maybe that's one of the things that Filoni did take away from the Andor stuff, the real locations making it look better. That would be great. What still makes me nervous is that he's been so like not letting anyone else write anything and he's writing all the scripts. And that scares me because he's not a good writer. He's a good storyteller, but he's not a good writer.
Starting point is 00:47:19 And so that makes me nervous that we're just going to get basically an animated series come to life again. But on the positive side, hopefully that we do dive a little more because we're going to have a new actor playing Baylon, right? We're going to have that side. I mean, we'll dive into that. We've got to see what they're going to set up with Thrawn. If they do, again, going off a PLD set, if they set this thing up and they show you the teaser for Soka. and they announced that, okay, well, this is where we're going to live with the TV series. It's going to be Filoni's verse in the TV series.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Well, then that's when you can start to make those mini-event movies and do the Thrawn, Air to the Empire and all that. And if you don't do Luke in Air to the Empire, then don't make it. That's what I'm hearing. That they're not going to put him in it. No, no, that he is going to be in it. They're trying to figure out a way to make him in it, but they can't, make him be the star of it because they want to do it's the trying to still decide balance
Starting point is 00:48:21 balancing you can't do air to the empire without loop right they're like the focus like the main characters will be like din and if anybody suggests that they should stick their head in in garbage the philoni movie's going to be disney plus is also what i've heard now that's i've heard phloy movie's going to be disney plus smart smart if that is indeed the case then that's smart strategy, then that's a win. Now, I think it's a mistake. This is another again, phelony thing of like, oh, no, we're not going to show the teaser yet. Show the teaser.
Starting point is 00:48:50 Get people excited about it. You don't even know when it's coming out. It's coming out next year. Released the teaser. February, supposedly, they're saying, they were saying that they're going to, like, they want to make the public focus be Starfighter, which is why they're not going to show the teaser yet. Which, again, I get it. I get it. But maybe they don't want to get buried by Starfighter
Starting point is 00:49:09 because they would. Right. They would get buried. So I get it, but don't wait too long then. Right. I agree. Don't wait too long. But I get the strategy there, Cotton.
Starting point is 00:49:18 I get it. So if nobody got that reference except the audience. So you don't, you never seen Dodgeball? I don't remember that line. It's one of the most famous lines in the home. You know, you know,
Starting point is 00:49:32 so dodgeball. Yes, I have because I get really fucking annoyed by people always quoting that when I said I used to play semi-professionally. but I don't remember Jason Bateman's stuff as a commentator Yeah Oh the boy does C O move cotton
Starting point is 00:49:45 CO pays off Bold strategy That's why I didn't know that's why I said strategy At first I said bold move now but I said strategy at top Anyway Then the idea so here's They start with that
Starting point is 00:49:58 And that is let's give PLD And then the benefit of the doubt If that is indeed the case If they announce that type of What they should do is announce that type of strategy By the way Instead of playing Koi and saying, oh, it's mystery.
Starting point is 00:50:12 We ain't living in 2015 anymore, Mr. Hat. We are now living... Not Mr. Hat, bro. We are now living in a different time where Star Wars needs some excitement. So do that. That would cause excitement to say, well, here's our strategy. We're going to leave here. We're going to live here in TV world.
Starting point is 00:50:33 Soak is going to lead to this. It's going to lead to a TV movie, which is going to lead to a TV event and it's going to lead to this, lead to that great great then you get into the movie and then you get starfighter you have to show a trailer and you have to get ryan gosling out there as well as levy and you have to release that trailer to the audience it's everybody get people talking that's what i'm hearing yeah so before we go to the end here of what i think that they should do to end probably i'm a starfighter which i don't think is a good plan but what do you think for them to show any starfighter I think it's a good plan from the show it.
Starting point is 00:51:10 I don't think they should end the panel. I think they're just going to do Asoka and then they're going to do Starfighter and that's the end of it. I think that should do one more thing leading past it. But what do you think about all this? You're asking me. I thought because PLD just took a breath in. So I thought that he was about to speak. So I mean, that's the whole thing is I stand by kind of what you were alluding at the beginning.
Starting point is 00:51:34 And then I was kind of saying as well, you just need to be able to, we need to, we need to acknowledge that Star Wars where it is right now is in a place that you're with Faloni coming in you're hitting the reset button so you need to make sure that you are able to bring as many people into the fold as possible. Obviously
Starting point is 00:51:52 Starfighter is one of the main reasons that you're doing that with Gosling and everything else. So anything with the Soka, I know it's a second season but like you said get elements that will kind of draw people in. I don't know much about what you all were talking about with the Luke thing that you said that
Starting point is 00:52:07 Luke being in the air to the empire Peelty I just banned somebody by accident I didn't mean to do that Can you find a way It makes sure that we unbanned him I'll try to unbend him As I was highlighting a different comment
Starting point is 00:52:20 Like it's the comments go up And Brooklyn eats butts I did not I did not mean to ban you That was that was an accident I apologize So if anybody can If Luke or Peelty
Starting point is 00:52:37 can I'll go find him. Reinstate him, please. Brooklyn eats butts. Not a hard one to remember. That'll be an easy one to find. Sorry about that, Brooklyn. My goodness. But, but yeah, I just think whatever you're doing, you obviously want to keep the people that have been
Starting point is 00:52:54 massive Star Wars fans for forever happy. But you are essentially almost starting, you're not starting at square one, but you're pretty close. So I would do everything in your power that will surprise and delight, as one would say. Yeah. Well, that's why at the end, that's the major thing, right? So if you, the kind of impact
Starting point is 00:53:14 that you could have, like I said, Star Wars needs to go last because Star Wars needs some big wins and needs people getting excited. So if you start with Asoka, do that, show your plan of what television is. And you're like, whoa, this guy's got a plan. You got a plan as opposed to, oh, we got a new season. Oh, well, you don't really know
Starting point is 00:53:33 what's going to happen. Is there a Siff? You got to figure it out. That kind of stuff. We don't need that anymore. That's over. You need to now say, here's our plan. This is what I'm doing in TV. Boom. Then you move on. Then you get Starfighter.
Starting point is 00:53:45 Here's our first big movie. Here's the trailer. That's what it's going to feel like. Get excited. Boom. Wow. Okay. What else you got?
Starting point is 00:53:53 Trilogy. We're officially announcing episodes 10, 11, and 12. That's it. We have these things. Simon Kinberg is writing this thing. We've already this. And if you can give us anything about it, they probably won't. But just give us that announcement.
Starting point is 00:54:06 officially 10, 11, and 12 are coming. That's what we got. See you next time. And give us some information. They need to hit big and they need to punch you in the face and then they need to walk away. That was actually my opinion. Simon Kimberg was he posts on Instagram from like Lucasfilm Ranch like recently like a couple days ago. So I have a feeling that he's a part of the, he might show up at the panel.
Starting point is 00:54:32 I'll be honest with you. Every time I hear his name at this particular point, because I just rewatch Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix. I could be, I couldn't be less excited. He's not directing, though. I know that you're saying.
Starting point is 00:54:45 But it's writing, too. He wrote both of those Phoenix movies, bro. Like, I know, but look, I don't want them writing the script per se, but mapping out, he knows Star Wars. He does. He knows.
Starting point is 00:54:56 He knows Star Wars. He knows it well. And I think that he's also responsible for season one of rebels. I think lining out the trilogy and lining out, and from what I've heard, is that he he loved and or is from what I heard yeah I heard that too and and and he had all the
Starting point is 00:55:13 rebels he did all the big parts yeah yeah yeah I'd love to see him map it out I don't want to see him right in the screenplace I don't want to see him direct in it but producing as a producer he's fantastic map I will give him all of the props in the world as a producer yeah but the minute you start getting into the writing it is so like he wrote the three five five five The 355 was not good. No, I know. Again, it depends on how it is. Now, normally, I agree with this.
Starting point is 00:55:43 I disagree with it for this particular thing. But Abernathy, right, no more announcements. Tell us a year before releasing one filming. Normally, normally I agree with that. But here's the reason why I don't agree with it on this particular thing. Because when you're announcing 10, 11 and 12, you're announcing the trilogy what is kind of like a staple to what Star Wars is in January.
Starting point is 00:56:06 general and you're not giving anything in particular like, well, you've got this director and this director and they might be in it and this person might be in it. That's stuff you stay away from. But 10, 11 and 12, you pretty much can guarantee is going to happen. If you're doing like, oh, we're doing a side movie about Yoda and his cousin Ralph. It's like, don't, don't do that because we don't know that's going to happen. That could fall through 10, 11 and 12. If you want it to happen, 10 11, 12 could happen. So I think by saying at the end of it, we're going into the future even more so with episodes 10, 11, and 12. Don't tell me who's going to be in it.
Starting point is 00:56:41 Don't tell me this unless, like you say, I've been nothing, unless you locked in, you know when you're going to start shooting? Great. But normally I agree with you. But this one, I think you need an announcement to show me what's next after Starfighter. They have nothing. Also, Kenberg has a long history with Lucasfilm, so he's going to get done. He's not going to leave.
Starting point is 00:56:57 He's not the one that you're going to lose or whatever. I think they're going to announce, I think they're going to announce 10, 11, 12. I think they're going to get Ray involved. Yeah. I think I figured it out because just. real quick. I'm sorry. I'm still stuck on the whole Kenberg of it all because I think as a writer he's really good with
Starting point is 00:57:13 no, no, no, real talk. This is, but this is what I'm saying, like, might be more of a move. It's too late now, but as a TV writer, he crushes his Twilight Zone stuff, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, you mention rebels, I haven't seen it, but apparently I guess he was good with that. But then his movies
Starting point is 00:57:28 when he's writing, Dark Phoenix, the 355, Apocalypse, Fan 4thick. This means war was decent. Sherlock Holmes was good, Days of Future Pass was good, but it's so all over the place. It seems like he doesn't miss with TV. So is there a world where they shift him to Star Wars TV and then let somebody else do the trilogy? No, because they're going to have him design this thing. That's the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:57:52 It depends on how they're, if they're designing it and it's a full-on trilogy, but in the same way, in the vein of what they did with the original trilogy. here's here's the outlines this is what I want to do so-and-so's going to write it and we read what they didn't do in the new trilogy well we got we know we're doing three movies great who's what's the story well we know kind of the essence of the first story George has this whole thing are we doing that no what are you doing a new version of that
Starting point is 00:58:23 oh we're doing something completely different JJ's got something okay well then that leads into eight and nine kind of what do you mean well this guy the second guy is coming in he don't like really what JJ did He's going to switch things around and do his thing. Oh, okay. Well, but then it's going to all tie into the third one. Yeah, Colin Chavarro has that all mapped out.
Starting point is 00:58:40 It's going to all make sense now. Oh, he's fired. Oh, well, then what now? Well, JJ's coming back. And he's going to tie it together? No. Why? Because he hated everything Ryan did.
Starting point is 00:58:48 Oh. So now what happens? Now the trilogy stinks. Oh, okay. That makes sense. So this time around, you have to say, oh, I got a block. This is what the story is going to be about. Here's my screenwriter for one, two, and maybe you all three.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Okay. Here's my director who's going to take that. vision, do what Kershner did and say, hey, okay, this is where you want to go with it, but I'm going to put my spin on and we're going to do this. We're going to add a couple things here. We're going to do that. We're going to craft your story. That's where you need to go. That's where it's going to go, but I'm going to do this to help you get there. What like Coogler did for Black Panther, as I mentioned all the time. That's fair. And that's what they need to try. Now, I don't know if they're going to do that.
Starting point is 00:59:24 But that to me is the plan that they should try to do if you're going to. I think they will, because Filoni and Kenber really work well together, too. So they're going to be very synergistic. That's that's that's my hope, I guess. I just know that like he's known he's known for producing and he's known for writing. Yeah. And so what my concern is, is especially if they're like, you're in charge of the trilogy, that he's not going to try and step in himself there at some point. Now here's another thing that is very true.
Starting point is 00:59:50 And I can't blame, even if they do make the announcements. I believe that the new trilogy happens when they're actually shooting the movie, says Jeremiah. I know better with Lucasfilm. That is the problem of where they have put themselves now. and I don't disagree with you saying it. It doesn't mean I don't think they should announce it for this particular thing because they need some kind of excitement behind it and tell us, because even when they announced Starfighter,
Starting point is 01:00:14 it was the same thing. Oh, Starfighters coming. Sure it is. That's what everybody said. Oh, Sean Levy's doing a Star Wars movie. Sure he is. When? And then that's the one that eventually became,
Starting point is 01:00:24 and now it's real. But that wasn't the one that was announced first. That was not the one everyone thought you were getting first. Everybody thought you were getting the Daisy Ridley movie. that movie's never going to happen. They shouldn't have a movie. It's not been folded, and I think.
Starting point is 01:00:35 The thing is also 10, 11 and 12, you can announce that because that's going to eventually, that's going to happen someday no matter what. That's what I'm saying. It's definitely going to happen. It's going to happen eventually. I mean, even if it's 30 years from now, it will happen. 10, 11, because that's their,
Starting point is 01:00:47 that's their brand. The other thing that they have to start doing again. And I don't know, I hope, I'm hoping it was a Kennedy thing that they get rid of is the whole, let's just never use John Williams theme, music themes at all anymore. Let's just everything be original music all the time. It's like, no, in the same way when you do a James Bond movie, that theme is still in there.
Starting point is 01:01:09 When you do, I mean, shit, man, even the new Superman movie. He used John Williams theme intertwined with the new stuff. You use the stuff that Patterson cut definitely showed how much more impactful it was when Leah is falling from the thing and the forest team kicks in. Way more important than the original. Well, we got to get away from John. Who says? He gave you the essence and feel of what the atmosphere feels like.
Starting point is 01:01:37 What are you doing? Given how Faloni works with the Kiner's all the time, I don't think that's going to be I'm with you. I'm with you because I will say, as much as I bag on him, the Asoka series with Kiner, live action, is the most thematic series they had done interweaving some of the, Asoka stuff from Rebels and other things, using some John Williams teams, another, the Kiner's know how to do it.
Starting point is 01:02:06 You watch the Mall series, brilliant. So if I hope that Filoni takes over, takes the Kiner's and says, these are our composers moving forward. Now, I don't think he's in the position yet, the kind of power yet, to be able to tell a director who's got more clout, hey, you got to use these guys. The hell of you?
Starting point is 01:02:27 I don't use those. Giacino, that's my guy. You know, so he's, he's got to be able to get a little bit more clout before he's able to do that, but I'll, I'll, I will hopefully, that's what they're going to do. Is there a world where, because George Lucas is very famous for quoting that,
Starting point is 01:02:45 you know, it echoes and all that kind of stuff, that they skip, uh, 10, 11, 12 and do 13, 14, 15. No. No, I know you're saying that. And then go back to it. Yeah. No, that was, that was funny how they did that. But, you know, you could potentially do that if you jumped back and did an old,
Starting point is 01:03:03 old Republic series. Right. Then you could start with that and then go back. But from what I, I don't know if you're here the same thing, but he wants nothing to do with the old republic. Really? Yeah. I've heard he is more open to it than he was.
Starting point is 01:03:19 Oh, really? But I don't know if I don't think he'd be involved as much with it. He'd be kind of like overseeing it. What's the word I'm looking for? Oh, good. Right, yeah. I get it. Anyway.
Starting point is 01:03:32 One more thing I want to throw out there about this. It's okay part of it. If you hear this stuff, why ain't you breaking it on this show? Well, I just read about this, like today or like last night. The Anakin snowsuit is from a specific one episode
Starting point is 01:03:46 of the Clone Wars that he was in. And interestingly enough, Asoka wasn't part of that episode at all, but Obi-1 was a big part of that episode. So I'm not going to be surprised. I'm just saying. you McGregor pops up tonight. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 01:03:58 I heard he was in it. I've heard that too. I also heard he was in it. I also heard it. You remember, I said Natalie Portman was going to make a return at one point too, but we'll see if that comes through.
Starting point is 01:04:10 I wonder if anybody will, we'll tweet at us. Probably not. Okay. Let's move on to, anyway, what do you guys think about all this stuff for the Disney panel
Starting point is 01:04:21 and what will Star Wars do? Can they have a good win here? They need a win. Will they have a win, or it will just be another kind of, oh, yeah, Star Wars had a thing too, but Marvel. What about Marvel? Let's see. All right.
Starting point is 01:04:34 Let's move on, Winston, 34 right now. We got to have a big move here for you to beat Mr. Cook. So let's see if there's any. I want to double check and make sure that I didn't miss any because that's been happening lately for some reason. I'm going to double check and see. I'm going to start from the beginning. And when I get to the end, I'm going to stop.
Starting point is 01:04:54 The first one, okay. I don't know. That was so funny to me. When I get to the end, I'm going to stop. Do you know? I do not. I'm going to see if the audience can guess. Does the appeal do you know?
Starting point is 01:05:07 Don't say anything if you do know. I'll do the impression. And the second I do the impression, people will know. So I'll let the audience see if they know. And then I'll do the, no, it's not excellent. Start from the beginning. And when you get to the end, stop. And then I'll do the impression.
Starting point is 01:05:25 you'll know right away. I'm going to guess Anchorman. I don't know. It does sound like an anchor man. It really does. It's actually a pretty good guess. It's actually a really good guess, but it's not. I want to see if the audience is now catching up to it because we're a little bit back time.
Starting point is 01:05:40 But let's see if, see who the first person is to get it. Back to school is not correct. Wow. I'm surprised. Someone's going to get it. Someone's going to get it. We'll see who gets it. But once the audience starts chiming in, because it's still like it's back time,
Starting point is 01:05:55 not Caddyshack, not Princess Bride. Good guesses. One of Penny Barber's movies, that's a great point. But no. No. Penny Barber, when you get to the end, stop. I don't know what was it. Forrest Gump. Borat. We got a winner.
Starting point is 01:06:15 Brian O'Neill. Start from the beginning. And when you get to the end, stop. Perfect. There you go. I don't, I did not know. Maybe. there you go.
Starting point is 01:06:28 You froze right in the middle of it because you didn't know. That's why. You've offended me for the last time, Mr. Cook. Did I disappear? What just happened? You froze. Oh, you, I froze.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Okay, I thought you froze. Okay, good. You froze like Matrix style. Okay, great. Okay. Muthard. Don't be silly. Lemon, that's different.
Starting point is 01:06:48 Okay. So now we're going to start. Nathan. Derek Johnson versus Jeff and the hot mic was great last night, discussing the WV merger. both made great points Jeff had a great quote you're a stickler for the rules this is America Nathan Drake says I gotta watch him and check it out um geek load stars what can we do to get sam her
Starting point is 01:07:07 on grogud doll I think someone sent me on on uh Instagram a version of I think probably for like christmas I'm gonna I'm probably gonna get that for um that's cool yeah I did is that is that the character that she's been gravitating towards my gosh loves grogher I'm interesting I I remember she was like I haven't watched every reaction of her doing Star Wars, but I heard her talking about how much she loved Chewy, and I heard her talking about how much about Yoda. Loves Chewy, loves the Ewks, loves Yoda, loves, I mean, she's got so many different favorite characters.
Starting point is 01:07:38 She loves it, but Grogu's just, I mean, she's loving the Mandalorian. Now, she hasn't seen season three yet, but she's watching, but she's not season one and season two, and she loves it. Okay. Oh, and you know what I will do again, as we're going through these, we we're coming you know I'm going to shoot Winston the we officially we officially
Starting point is 01:08:00 submitted for approval on Kickstarter so we're waiting we're waiting for word back on that had a great call with the guy who's directing we're doing we're shooting that video for the Kickstarter and so that's what I'm going out to I'm going to be shooting that with martini and
Starting point is 01:08:21 she's going and so her and I are shooting stuff for the Kickstarter. The director will be there as well of the actual pilot. And we're going to be working on doing that stuff. So we got that in the works. We came up with our official logo yesterday. The tiers are starting to build. So we should be, I mean, we had, because it took us a second, we wanted to submit a little earlier than we did. But we had to get everything in place. So it looks like it'll probably, it's still obviously September, but probably like the second week in September now from what from what I'm being told so I just have to get a confirmation on that when we get approved all the information there but my point is for people who want to ask questions
Starting point is 01:09:02 about the pilot and other things we've been asking some great questions suggestions and other things that you want to throw in there um they do not have to be super chats I will highlight them once the super chat portion is over and you can obviously still put super chats in there to ask wins and you want to get them that win uh geek load stars we do that thank you Ron H happy Friday fools stressed and intermediate at BBC, the BBC hanging along and loose with the Professor X casting. And does Oak Street make the BBC Twitch? This guy, maybe one and
Starting point is 01:09:27 only super chat today. Sorry, got to save Dolly. Which is fair, Ron H. But Ron H., did you like Oak Street? You didn't want to see it? I loved it. I didn't see you're out of the theater. You liked it. Okay, great. Then I'll give it a shot. See it in the theater and see it in the theater packed. It is the best, this isn't
Starting point is 01:09:46 saying much, but it's the best Jurassic Park movie since Jurassic Park one. I mean, that's actually saying a lot because I think the part of the argument is that we know why they kept making those movies. Yeah. But it's also like, why do you keep making these movies? They're not, they're not good. So, this is, this is, this was, this was a cool movie. This was a cool movie.
Starting point is 01:10:08 And it was, what I keep saying is like if 824 decided to make land of the lost is what this is. Okay, that's cool. Yeah. You got me now. Yeah. Christian Aralano. what's up man what up y'all can't wait for the announcements for d23 and i hope we get some exman news also winston brand new day and three days three sucked which i watched tolly read that's amazing
Starting point is 01:10:29 was it not was it not good in 3d because of the web slinging i thought that that was actually absolutely fantastic and the fights too i can understand because this is what i've said about 3d as a whole i don't like 3d as a whole because it can get a little like nauseating with with just regular ass fucking things going on and and and there's a lot of conversations where it's like you clearly didn't shoot this in 3d because it's like everything is out of focus except for this and I don't love that but for the actual web singing in the fights oh it was fantastic um do you know what I like to do Winston I like to attack nice comments sometimes okay so on my no not in this one I just saw some pop up on our house of the dragon reaction oh okay so there's a debate because
Starting point is 01:11:17 they mentioned in House of the Dragon and say the Prince it wasn't promised. The Prince, the Prince that was promised. So in my, a lot of people think that it was Danares. I don't. I think it was John Snow from everything that happens in the finale of it. John Snow. So you can debate on it, but you know one of the things I hate the most is when you end something with L.O.L. I hate it.
Starting point is 01:11:37 I hate it so much. So C-O-Banu-Dennis 9-843 writes, the Prince that promises Danny, not John, L-O-L. You're not laughing on out loud at all because you'd have to do this. Prince was the prince was promises Danny, not John. You're not doing that. You're not doing that. And to which I wrote, definitely not, is what I responded to, to which he then said, yes,
Starting point is 01:12:04 she is. The prince who was promised was prophesized to bring dragons to life, to which I wrote, no. And that was it. So unbelievable. It's John, I'm telling you, a lot of people, a lot of people put it. It's clearly not, it's, it's, clearly not, she thought she was. She thought she was. A lot of people are saying that it's split.
Starting point is 01:12:32 A lot of people are, some people think it's DeNaris and some people say that it's, that it's John. It's 100% is John. So the whole one of things, freaking balance. I genuinely think it's John. Because on top of that, I know that DeNaris had to move a lot of pieces for things to move forward, but at the end of the day, she would have ultimately just destroyed the entire kingdom. It was John.
Starting point is 01:12:51 It was definitely John. They set it up. They set it up as if it is her. Right. But then clearly it is not. In the same way that Renaird thinks that she is. She isn't. Anyway, chances of a fantastic fourth sequel announcement.
Starting point is 01:13:10 Or we'll Faggy see how receptive fans are seeing them more in Doomsday. And Secret Wars were for Greenlighting a sequel, that, that for sure. You can't announce a sequel right now. It was, I mean, why would you do that when it's not, when it wasn't successful, the first one? It wasn't successful. And as you just said, Timbino, they're a major focus in these movies and they're trying to become more popular. Yeah. I mean, that's another reason to be honest with you that I really hope that they do introduce an Iceman because one of the most interesting dynamics is the,
Starting point is 01:13:45 the friendship of Johnny Storm, Bobby Drake, and Peter Parker, and the three of them as like kind of these young heroes, like, kind of broing out and shit like that and the rivalry between Human Torch and Iceman. Like, that's how you could further build out the Fantastic Four is if you really start integrating X-Men with them, people get more excited about that, in my opinion. Please, everybody who's whatever, whatever your stance is on that John Snow
Starting point is 01:14:11 DeNaris thing, go to our most recent house. the dragon thing find that comment but just either agree with them or disagree with them i'm not saying you're gonna have to remind me because i have to fight the urge of doing that right now so i'm here because otherwise i yeah it's fine not you not you the audience but but but either agree with them or disagree with them i don't care but but i want him to be like wait what where all these people come from everybody get get into there you go um all right the little yankee a hundred jules high five mike joyce two jewels silver star hell yeah Hell yeah. Silver Star. All right. Greenie from Oz says Black Panther was kind of like a monarch type figure of Wakanda.
Starting point is 01:14:54 Would be cool to see a new Wakanda story from a lower class kid coming of age type story. Labor from depth of the vibranian minds. Well, I don't think that's the case because everybody said it's going to be his son. But that in and of itself, I think where that becomes interesting is you have almost an echoing kind of story with killmonger. So it's like, yes, you're technically royalty. But it's like, you're. an outsider like the number of people that might look at the new at young to chala and be like nah f that bro you who are you what what you why are you why are you the king i i feel like there's a world where that's going to be part of that storyline of like no we don't want you um and i think that could be really interesting honestly um fair but i i don't i just don't again it's
Starting point is 01:15:37 it's the whole thing we got into yesterday with a confusing argument i want to do that again a can of worms uh the spider verse trailer just leaked it looked nuts donkey bong says that's what i was talking about it yeah uncle art 440 jules thank you sir ator kiko luster is constantly talking about 12 monkeys maybe eventually watched the movie soon i'll be watching the show and of oak street wasn't a bad movie yeah it's it's it's an august movie it's an august movie and i liked watching it in the theater so let me ask you this if i've only if i've only seen odyssey once and i haven't seen in i max yeah i've only seen spider man once and same thing i kind of i want to see it in i'm x when i can is it one of those things that i need to go rush and see oak street
Starting point is 01:16:16 first or should i try and work on those since those have been hard to get tickets for anyway i would tell you to go see oak street in a packed theater okay because it it enhanced the experience for me of all the people screaming and yelling and i went to a critic screening and people were screaming and yelling and one guy was bouncing off the wall scared of this one particular moment that was happening um and so like you know uh if you can go go check it out okay all right All right, noted. Hugo Chavez, 10 Jules,
Starting point is 01:16:45 hiding. 10 Jules is a happy poop. Thank you, 10 Jals, more happy poop. Thank you so much. All these. You guys owe me a free
Starting point is 01:16:52 Mr. Cook t-certs, says Alan Smithy. 100% we do. You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook. The answer is on Mr. Cook is even better.
Starting point is 01:17:05 Yo, Roka called him out, though, play the other version of it that has that first line of him in the cafeteria or whatever it is. I will,
Starting point is 01:17:11 hold on. Let me do that. I'll do that. The other reason I want to do that is because watch the second slap from the guy that says, Mr. Cook, and how he goes, oh, it's the best. I just stick a hot iron in my mouth and welcome that serial murder into this colony. Besides, it's been so long since we've been to a party. I'm not exaggerating. You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook.
Starting point is 01:17:36 I demand satisfaction. Oh. Yo, well, one, right before the slap, you see Mike break. himself. Oh, for the slap? He wasn't coming. Oh, it's great. But what I was laughing about the cafeteria part at the beginning, as Roka goes, that is clearly an actor who forgot his line
Starting point is 01:17:57 and remembered it in real time. He's like, it reminds you of a certain sort of he's clearly struggling for it. Did Mike, do Mike agree? Or he wasn't on the side? Oh, he wasn't there. Just Roker was like, I know. I'd rather stick a hot iron in my mouth. Right, right there.
Starting point is 01:18:13 Hot iron part. I'd rather stick a hot iron in my mouth than welcome that serial murderer into this colony. The serial murder two, I'd rather stick a hard on my mouth and everything with a... Yeah, you're struggling with that one. You're struggling with that one. But I guess the rest of the take was good because they said, no, no, I'll keep that one.
Starting point is 01:18:30 Good going. Oh, poor Mr. Cook. All right, let's say, Mr. Cook. I don't know if I've gotten a better gift this year than the Mr. Cook. That's the best thing. I'll 100% get your Mr. Cook T-shirt if we make them. Tyler Balmer, after hearing the conversation of... And Mr. Cook, after hearing the conversation over the last few days about two Batman,
Starting point is 01:18:53 why do you think people can read books and watch TV shows and not be an issue with the movie can't differentiate it. Sorry, we're going to get back into this. First of all, so this was the whole conversation yesterday, right? Where, and, and then she's been, by the way, a very loyal listener is here quite often. He commented last night. He's like, you called me dumb. Never once. Never once. Never once. Second thing. He's like, and this is the guy that says there should be two Spider-Man movies at the same time. and audience will handle that? Yes, why? Well, because
Starting point is 01:19:22 if they would have just done a random Andrew Garfield movie and a Toby movie at the same time as Tom Holland, that's too much. However, when you do No Way Home and it connects all of them, then it's a connecting part of the story. And you're continuing on, it's not confusing anymore because if you saw that movie, which is one of the
Starting point is 01:19:38 biggest movies of the year, and you know what's happening inside the narrative. Now, when it comes to the book side of things, now reading books, watching TV shows, because how do you know everybody's watching and the books at the same time. When you're going, because it's not competing mediums, when you're having the competing mediums, as far as like, here is, you're talking about, okay, there's a, there's a, there's a Game of Thrones book, and then there's Game of Thrones
Starting point is 01:20:01 TV show, it's not the same thing. TV, TV show, movies at the same exact time when they're happening. Now, if you would have done, if it would have succeeded with the Flash, and you would have succeeded everything that happened, let's say the Flash was one of the biggest movies of all time. And then you did a Ben Affleck movie and a Michael Keaton movie. Again, it's the same situation of the Spider-Man. Same thing. Right.
Starting point is 01:20:27 And I think that's the whole thing. You can't just do it out of the blue. So if there is a secret plan for them to explain and include them both to do that, fine. Yeah. Then fine. But the idea of fully diverged universes and
Starting point is 01:20:43 trying to just randomly do that, I think the other thing to keep in mind is with books and with TV, they have a tendency to have more connected, like the core audience tends to be more connected to that medium that they're following to a T. Like comic fans, as we know, yeah, we can follow an ultimate universe and a regular universe and all that because we're digesting comics constantly. Movies are such a general, everybody-involved scenario. You're going to confuse so many people that don't do this religiously.
Starting point is 01:21:13 They just go, oh, there's a Batman movie out. I'll check that out. Yeah, and well, you know, here's the other side of what I thought about, too, is that let's say, here's the other thing. Let's say that there was a Batman movie in the DC you already, an established Batman that people loved already, right? And then the Batman part three was coming on. So let's say they established Batman already. This new Batman is Alan Ritson's first. So Alan Ritchin comes on and he's the new Batman and he's in a movie that comes out with nothing else around it, connected to the D.C.
Starting point is 01:21:43 That's instrument and people love it. And then he's in a movie with, let's say he pops up in a Superman movie, people love him. Then he does a movie and people love him. Great. Then you do his movie and then the Batman three around the same time. Different scenario altogether. Could the audience handle it then? Yes, because they're invested already.
Starting point is 01:22:03 Because they're invested in the characters and now they're choosing to do it. They have not established the DCU Batman. So if you've already established Robert Pattinson's Batman in this movie already, they're going to see that because they know that. It made almost $800 million. If you're putting another competing Batman at the same time or six months in between, you're like, wait, and then just see that?
Starting point is 01:22:26 What is that? I don't know what that is. You're confusing the audience. That was my point. Not that you couldn't, you know, squash that confusion down the line, but not right now. Mike Joyce.
Starting point is 01:22:40 Ron H. should join the Discord, right? I mean, how many people are in the Discord now? Sure, it's doing pretty well. Well, a decent amount of people. Yeah, people get, I pop in, like, I mainly read. I don't interact as much as much to interact more. Armada, A-Y-T. End of Oak Street movie sounds like a parody of a Penny Barber movie.
Starting point is 01:23:00 Yes, Freddie Krueger. That is, I mean, if, damn, someone said something about. Dude, that would be Wed Dream on El Street. But what was it? Someone said something about one of the tiers of what Penny Barber would do to Mike and something about her pegged him and pealdy started playing fart noises it was hilarious it was hilarious it was really good it was a very very fred the engine moment for uh peel day uh ioshi yumatsu any truth a jelly roll audition for professor x if we could only be so lucky uh sell x 23 knowing who
Starting point is 01:23:31 the professor is and say to give us an idea for the age range magnus is going to be a badass younger version look forward to the future what is that now knowing who the professor is going to be a badass What does that mean? Magnus is Magneto. Oh, Eric Lenscher, aka Magnus. Ah,
Starting point is 01:23:49 see? I don't pretend to be no, I didn't realize that was his name. So, yes, Magneto has to be bad.
Starting point is 01:23:57 If I remember, his full name is Eric Magnus Lencher. Okay, didn't know it was Magnus. Okay, but no, yeah,
Starting point is 01:24:05 Charles, that's what Charles tends to call him as Magnus, no. Okay. 377 members in the Discord currently, which is great. Happy poop. Thank you, Mike Twist. Quito, 440, Uncle, thank you so much.
Starting point is 01:24:18 Expecting any D23 news on apples, on apples. Apes, Alien or Predator. That's a good question, right? Because you tend to forget now because of that merger that those particular franchises. Maybe, I know that Apes is certainly possible because they mentioned they were just, doing that whole other spin-off from it. So is there any movement on that? I don't know. That would be cool. Same thing with alien or predators.
Starting point is 01:24:50 So I'm not expecting any news, but I would actually welcome news for it. I think that would be a great choice than changed and just having Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, Pixar. Let's do something else. Yeah, show me what you got. Crito. 550 Jules. Stay hydrated. We'll do.
Starting point is 01:25:08 Jean-Francois Dorian. I get close. Do you think they will talk about Cougar X-Files? Oh, that's a great question. I hope so. Because I'm assuming that's happening pre-Black Panther. Yeah, and there's been rumors and stuff that I'm popping up. And I think that I think the answer is yes.
Starting point is 01:25:25 I think the answer is yes. And I think David DeCovny pops up on stage with, oh my God, help me deal there. Gillian, what's the phrase? The one that played. Thank you. Brain for it. So yes, Jillian. Mulder and Scullies, when they're going to show up.
Starting point is 01:25:43 I think they're going to show up 100%. Trey Porter. Well, you know what, Winston? I'm going to go back on what I said. I think that Ryan Coogler will be there to talk about it. And then I think Ryan Coogh will be there again to talk about the, I think he's going to introduce Storm. But that was, I'm glad you've come back around because that was my thought process, I think, especially if you want to tie her into that story at all.
Starting point is 01:26:08 Yeah, the X-Files side of it bring. The X-Files side brings it along to me. Like, yeah, X-Files plus doing this. That makes sense. Yeah, that makes sense. I just watched the Josh Gad, Jennifer Lewis video. That's amazing. It's a good.
Starting point is 01:26:22 10 Jules hiding. Christian unpronounceable. Hey, guys, just to let you know, Sam Whitmer's on the latest episode of dropping names with Brent and Johnny. He talks them all for a bit. I try to text them again. I'm going to try to get him. I thought I had him for a second. And then Disney's like, yeah, here you're getting Sam on your show.
Starting point is 01:26:36 I'm like, ah, cool. I don't know what the hell happened. Well, that's cool. Mike Joyce, any good music you've been listening to lately. I have been listening. When it comes to, well, when it comes to working out, I've been actually listening to a lot of trans music as well as writing. I listen to a lot of trans music.
Starting point is 01:26:53 But then for when I'm driving, I'm listening to a lot of the soundtrack. No, for the show. Let's see what it pops up. I'll put it on shuffle. All right, let's see. Let's see what, the first song that pops up. That's the first one. one and that's from the 88 that's what i for me uh recently i've been super into lofi versions of
Starting point is 01:27:30 like a bunch of different stuff so like of the legend of zelda themes of random hip hop tracks just like i've been doing a lot of editing i've been doing a lot of writing so lofi shit is really easy for me to kind of lock in and just work and it's fun to do it to stuff that like i'm already a fan of so that that's me right now uh amazing uh by the way update I went and I looked at the replies for that for the video and people being respectful. Don't be. And that was the other thing. What I did not like as much as I don't agree with Cheeseman yesterday.
Starting point is 01:28:06 People shouldn't, he didn't say anything that should have been, he shouldn't have been, you know, bombarded yesterday. Should be able to voice his opinions. Let's be nice to people when we're talking to them. Anyway, Prince, that was promised is not. Danny. It was the prince that was promised is Danny, not John, says Siba and Dennis. I said definitely not. And then, oh, man, I can't read these freaking comments. I want to, I want to, I'm trying to find them and I can't, I can't bring it up. There it is. I want to read what the, what people are saying because, okay, we got six replies so far. So Thanos pants,
Starting point is 01:28:41 writes, I. The Brandon Salad writes, is John, Ra. Ioshi, right? It was definitely John. DeNaris was made to look like it was. her, but the whole big reveals in fact that it was, in fact, that John, the prince that was the whole thing with him with the scene, when the scene when he starts banging his auntie is like around that same time where it was like, hey, not only is that the child, the so-and-so, but also that's the prince that was promised. I'm going to make it. I'm going to make it easier for people.
Starting point is 01:29:09 I'm pinning that comment. I'm pinning it. Hell yeah. I will definitely get on that later. Now it's pin. So now I want to see at least 50 comments on that thing. I don't know. And I'm not telling you to agree with me.
Starting point is 01:29:22 If you don't agree with you, just tell me why. Which is totally fine. But I want to see, I want that guy to be like, what the hell just happened? Alexander Wilson, will the new Conan movie be announced at D23? Oh my God. I don't know if I would be happier if, hey, listen, I saw Olaf backstage and I said, get out of here. I wanted to talk to you about everything. I know that you want to be seen and frozen.
Starting point is 01:29:45 I know that maybe the hat is going to come out and talk. about lightsabers or whatever but do not want to talk about that now no more Marvel no Hulk no nothing I'm going to be swinging my sword one more time as King Conan in the last movie in the first movie I was sitting there at the end and you're ah yes I'm old but it wasn't really old now I'm old and I'm going to be there and I'm going to be swinging there and here's my new guy who's going to be coming out as well Alan Richardson there he is look at him he's got a lot of and not a lot of body fat is good. So we're going to be doing it.
Starting point is 01:30:22 Come see us in about 20 years when we make this movie. Thank you, Arnold. Perfect. Okay. It's pretty good, man. Ioshi. What is a film you put on when you need to feel good? Mine is on the town.
Starting point is 01:30:35 Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Jules Munchin just brings me total happiness. I've said this a few times. Rush hour, rush hour one and two. Pretty woman. All right. Next one. Triple killer. No young beast.
Starting point is 01:30:52 Kellen Lutz looks like Beast. Kellyn Lutz. I just don't, I thought he's the best actor. Personally, I'm sorry. I mean, I could see it. Does he play smart well? Because, like, I understand that Beast looks like a beast, but this person needs to be able to be a Shakespeareian.
Starting point is 01:31:11 Pils A keep doing what you're doing, but don't stop doing it. no he doesn't play smart well he was in it was in it was in uh twilight it doesn't mean anything but no no of course because obviously i was i was shitting on patinson and i i i ate that uh i ate that one but like i just again he has to be the smartest person in the room by a mile so like can he play intelligent yeah um aiden the pinned comment is on the um the latest house of the dragon uh reaction uh reaction with me me and Sam. Um, but Jarro, when do you guys do the Rocky Creed reactions?
Starting point is 01:31:50 It's, it's all on me right now. It's not, you know, there's a possibility that I might be able to try to knock some of them down for September when I'm running the Kickstarter because I think those might do well. Um, I mean, we, we would watch the whole series, even though Winston and I've seen, Winston has seen, Winston has seen, you saw, you know, the creeds and I've seen, um, it's a Rocky three, right? Right. So, um, we would watch all of them, including creed, I think again. And depending, well, let me say this, depending on how they do, because again, it's just a matter of how much effort and time and money it is, especially during that time period. So Winston, I'd probably take a shot at trying to do it. And maybe, maybe that's what we'll do when
Starting point is 01:32:32 during that month, because I'm going to be, I'm going to be really, really busy and probably the most tired of every bit in my life. But my goal, again, is to try to make sure, and for people who know, who I have been finding out more information about Kickstarter. I don't know if you knew this Winston either, but like you need to make like 25% of your goal within day one in order for a Kickstarter to push you in the algorithm. Oh, wow. And so day one is going to be,
Starting point is 01:33:00 I'm going to probably release the Zach Snyder, um, Justice League, uh, cut part one and part two on day one and day two of the launch. I'm probably going to appear on some, different podcasts on day one and day two as as many other days with those two days I'm going to do that really long live stream that day I'm going to do Instagram live things I'm going to do Facebook live things I'm going to do a bunch of different things to make sure that I can push it push it and I've been telling people you get 13,000 people put in 25 bucks
Starting point is 01:33:33 tip we did it we made the show at the at the level we wanted to we do over that and we're making some offers to some people that we didn't think we could make offers to in the initially. Okay, Beagle Studios. Asoko being the character of Disney Plus and then everything post episode nine to be the general focus is smart. Marvel should do that with Daredevil and Street Level characters on occasion to be in movies if necessary. Well, I don't know how smart that is because remember, Asoka didn't, the series didn't do very well. So I don't know how smart that is because I mean, there's not, I mean, how many people, you know, like outside, I think what PLD said makes sense. Let those types of series be for the hardcore fans. And that's something to be,
Starting point is 01:34:17 if PLT is right on that, I walk back a lot of comments. And I said, look, if you're going to make certain shows for your hardcore audience and they're not made for the rest of, if they, if they discover it, great. If they dig it just as good. But this is really for the people who've been investing for as long as they have. And we're going to do that on Disney. plus and then we're going to give them a movie we're going to give them all that throng stuff and give them all that that's great it's a good strategy if they can if they stick with it and then the big saga movies are for everybody okay it's not a bad strategy if they can make that happen um greeny from oz support derrick johnson i got to write i got to i got to make sure that i
Starting point is 01:35:01 email derrick johnson today is what's going on with oh he just he had given my uh my um his email to PLD for me and I'm gonna I gotta give him oh okay uh Thanos pants visiting the US for the first time have a culture shock about how obnoxious people has been in the theater oh my god you've no idea one guy took pictures of flash on
Starting point is 01:35:19 uh you skipped one a little while back about the Jennifer Lewis well let me finish let me finish this for the first um visiting the US for the first time having a culture shock about how obnoxious people have been in the theater here one guy took pictures of the flashlight it is it's like going to the zoo it is the absolute worst
Starting point is 01:35:39 It is the worst. It's pretty bad. It's the worst. I'm not seeing the one you're seeing. It was the, someone had said I just watched that Josh Gad, Jennifer Lewis video and I died. You brought it up and then when, and then something happened and you started talking about it instead.
Starting point is 01:35:57 Yeah. Wait, we didn't talk about it? What do you mean? I'm confused. I'll see if I can find it. Give me a second. There's another one? No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:36:04 It was just the one. But I don't know. Do you unstar things after you look at them? I'm really confused right now. Hold on. The only one that I saw was the one that we brought up, the one that Trey had said that someone else outside of Trey?
Starting point is 01:36:20 Maybe not. It's okay. Don't worry about it, I guess. Wait. Well, if I miss somebody's thing, I want to make sure I didn't miss it, but Peel David, do we miss something? I'm fucking confused. I think, Winston, same one you're talking about. You were talking about the same one, basically. I think that Winston, though, we may not talk about it. I guess why I got confused is it showed up.
Starting point is 01:36:38 yellow when it popped up when you put it on screen but i guess i found the tray one and the tray one is green so i don't i don't know it doesn't matter well i mean it matters if we didn't it matters if we didn't read somebody's thing but yeah but but yeah um all right if we if we missed your thing let us know um okay let's see can you guys explain you know i want to make sure that they have this sorry because i i you let's say okay now fiona george support thank you fiona more support more support Thank you, Fiona. Next one. Cody Erickson, 6-7-1-1.
Starting point is 01:37:13 I've been a fan for over a decade. Hard for me to super chat every day because of financials and I was just laid off, but I will donate to the Kickstarter for all laughs and joy you give me. First of all, it's very nice of you. And do what you can. If you can, if you can, then that alone, the fact that you want to support means a lot.
Starting point is 01:37:29 It really does. And we're going to make sure that we're going to get, everybody's going to have options and things that they can do, and we want to make sure that there's ways that people can get in all that's very kind of you Cody and thank you for being around for as long as you have um but i say this also where and i'm making and i was talking about it and thank god that we actually have i know who's who came up with the our show thing now because princess did the research on it um and i really do want to make sure that this is an accomplishment for all of us right and i want to make sure that when and
Starting point is 01:37:59 you know it's the same thing i'm going to do i'm going to all my co-hosts i'm going to tell them the day that it launches i'm going to send everybody everybody's going to be sent the link and everybody's Everybody knows. Everybody knows how much I've been trying and wanting to do this. It's a passion thing for me. And it's something that I hope that we all do together. Yeah. Yeah. Bobby, if Sam was an animation fan, I would suggest the Clone Wars movie because it introduces
Starting point is 01:38:22 Asoka and rode to the hut as a baby before she sees him in the movie. You know, I thought about it, Bobby. I did. And it's not that she's not an animation fan. She actually really loves animation. She wants to see it. We're going to watch a new toy story when she comes back because she hasn't seen it yet. She loved the Wild Roe. robot. She's a big animation. She loves the utopia movies. Absolutely loves animation.
Starting point is 01:38:42 But that's a pure investment to go through it. The problem with the Clone Wars movie is that to me it's gotten better now that I've seen the series. But if that's the first thing you're watching of Asoka ever, remember what they said. People hated, I remember when I talked to Ashley Exton, X-Ey. People hated Assoca. And she's like, oh my God, this is terribly He's like, don't worry, give a time, give a time. He was right. But they hated her after that movie. I don't want her to feel that way.
Starting point is 01:39:14 Jeff Schneider, says Alexander Wilson, said that Disney is moving away from Star Wars live action TV and have them concentrate on just films. Thoughts? This contradicts what PLD said. What do you say, PLD? What do you say to that? I say it's not a contradiction.
Starting point is 01:39:30 I don't, I don't, they're not, they are moving away. That's what I meant about focusing more on the movies. I don't know if they're going to leave. Disney plus TV live action altogether. I think there's going to be something. There's not going to do it as much as they had been doing in previous generation. I think having like,
Starting point is 01:39:46 Soka season two is already actually shot and everything and plans a long time ago anyway. When I say they're moving to Dave Filoni movie, they might do a movie or a mini series like three or four episodes. It's not like a bunch of Star Wars Live TV, but it's not going to be barren completely. They're just more focusing. That makes sense.
Starting point is 01:40:01 Yeah. That makes sense. Yeah. All right. So take that. Andrew Sanchez, can you guys please explain what a producer does? In reference to you guys not wanting Kenberg to direct, but being cool with them producing, what's the difference? Oh, there's a big difference.
Starting point is 01:40:16 Well, there's a lot of things that producers do and a lot of different things that producers do. There's some producers, they're just producers because they're able to fund it and they put money into it. And it's like I'm because in essence and definition, I couldn't produce this movie unless I had the money that, essentially, that's why there's going to be a lot. of producer tiers right on on on on my and that's and that's going to be financial producers other things there's creative producers there's people like that and that people come in who not even necessarily maybe are producers where they help with ideas and creative executives and things to help story that thing that maybe there's a producer who has different ideas of what can happen
Starting point is 01:40:57 within the story and helps produce things some producers do that other producers they can do the stuff where i can make things happen i know so So and so, I know Nolan pretty well. All right. I know Christopher Nolan pretty well. I know that he wants to do. We have a science fiction script that we've been playing with for a bit. Based off this book, let me make a call.
Starting point is 01:41:19 Producer makes the call. Happens it. He produced Christopher Nolan. He made Christopher Nolan happen. He's a producer on the show. Kinberg, producer on it can help. You know what? I'll make this phone call.
Starting point is 01:41:30 I'll help do this. I'll put these stories together. I'll help do that. And you get a producer on a credit. There's different credits. of what a producer can do. There's some producers just, well, what are you going to do? Well, you know, in order for me to be part of this movie, I want to be producer on your next two movies and they don't do anything. Steven Spielberg, somebody, you see his name,
Starting point is 01:41:49 Steven Spielberg, producer, why? Because he's got a producing deal. And he's in this, slap his name on it. You happy with your name being on this one? Yeah, sure. How much do I get from it? And sometimes his producers don't do nothing on it. Then it's times that the same person who has a deal is very involved in the next movie. So, very different from director, though. is crafting things out, making, you know, is the general on set. I don't know. Does you see it any differently? No, I think that's pretty, there are different levels of producers.
Starting point is 01:42:19 Typically when you get EPs, they have a tendency to, and again, this is movies we're talking about. I know TV shows kind of function differently because then there's actually like, as you mentioned creative producers, you kind of end up with the writing producers. If you ever really want to get into that, I would say go look up writer titles on TV shows it's actually very interesting how that works out but yes the producer is more the idea of exactly that you produce this thing make sure that it actually comes to fruition whereas the director yeah is directing where it's going if that makes sense so think almost general in the army and
Starting point is 01:42:51 then like your lieutenant type scenario yeah if that makes sense uh mike trust should we spoil house the dragon season four like no because you know spoil it for me don't do that pat for president i saw spider man brand new day in dolby yesterday uh first time experience with Dolby. The sound is rich and the visuals are wonderful, took the best parts of IMAX, and mixed it with cozy recliners. It was a family experience.
Starting point is 01:43:15 I love that. You know, what did I just see? I just saw, I went to, I went to the, it was the, we went to Regal. Oh, and I saw the, Oak Street.
Starting point is 01:43:24 Oh, you saw it in Doby. Yeah, this is, Dobey is my favorite. Not Dolby. I don't know what it was. I don't know. I get IMAX with just how the screen is format, but Dolby to me is,
Starting point is 01:43:34 is my favorite format to watch. most like and i haven't seen a movie in doby in a minute because i've been having to do stuff at this smaller theater i was telling you about but doby's the best yeah i'm sorry page did the research not not princess i i'm i i misspoke i apologize um i refer janky spider man over dolby's spider man beat it uh x x x gone dull ex so extreme super fun my 12 year old loved it yeah uh i'm it's a great movie it really is great All right, let's see. Next one.
Starting point is 01:44:10 Pat for president. We did that one. No, he didn't. After watching Spider-Man, brand-new day, five days, five times, I still have the desire to see at least once more.
Starting point is 01:44:17 I definitely want to see it again in the theater. I've not seen it. I need to see it again. Yeah. How's it doing in box office right now? Box of Spider-Man? Yeah. Oh, it slowed down significantly.
Starting point is 01:44:29 It's only at 1.7 because it was at 1.6 at the end of the weekend. The end of the weekend. It's not having a lot. It's not having the Monday through Thursday that it was having last week. But the weekend, the weekend will still hit too. I'm sure it'll clear to no problem, but just it's so funny that, you know, first weekend it was like $3 billion. I was like, let's relax.
Starting point is 01:44:53 Yeah. Okay, let's see. Grim Bear 13. Watched Oak Street yesterday, a lot of fun. Like if Jurassic still care, I wasn't sure which scene you thought was gruesome, though. there was I mean I thought of some gruesome kills or a few of them
Starting point is 01:45:10 not not not in the I mean if you're comparing it to something like you know obsession no it looks like a Disney film compared to obsession but I'm I'm just saying more there were more it wasn't like a it teetered on
Starting point is 01:45:25 away from PG 13 it pushes that PG 13 okay I thought yeah okay um all right let's see Mumrah. How many men died playing polo with Walt Disney, two? I don't get it. What's the joke? Do you get a Peel day? Is it a joke or is it not a joke? Is it true? I don't know what the hell happens. Is that a real story? Look that up. Somebody. I don't know what that means. Future guy, uh, zeit guys dimension. The way to make the Batman work in the DCU is to say it happened 20 years ago and combined both the universes. Yeah, I mean, they're still talk about me. This saga is is not going to be over. any time soon. You got to figure out what's going on where they're going to be
Starting point is 01:46:08 living before we get any news of Batman or anything. Pat for president with a big one here. 20 big memberships from Pat for president. Wow, Pat, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. That's true. Greenie from Oz. That's really nice, by the way, Pat, because now we got so many, we actually peeled it. Do we schedule our member stream yet? Not official. I haven't announced it yet, but we're going to do it tonight. I found this polo thing while Walt Disney played polo avidly in the 1930s. He did not kill anyone. though two men died from injuries and matches where Disney was present or playing actor Gordon Westcott in October of 35 and auto dealer Winslow Felix in May of 36.
Starting point is 01:46:46 Both fatalities resulted from separate writing accidents but not direct actions from Disney. I told you. Don't bring up grumpy when you're on the horse. You don't like it. Don't bring it up. I'm telling you, let the guy win. Don't talk about Snow White. don't do it
Starting point is 01:47:05 you don't like it greenie from Oz with the Kickstarter posted on Discord and do the at everyone tag when you post it they'll give everyone the notification is that how that works Peelty you got to help me out with that
Starting point is 01:47:22 so Peelty's going to be on a little extra we got to get him pushing that kind of stuff too because anything that anybody can do to help by the way and that's the other thing that I'm going to ask people to obviously the donations and things that you can do is going to be massive and going to be the
Starting point is 01:47:39 heart of it. The other thing is telling people about it. And even if they don't know my show, tell them the story. And that's the one, not necessarily just the story of the pilot, which we hope people will respond to, but the story of what we're trying to do. And the idea that we are now wanting to take this and put this into our hands. And I think that, again, is going to be something that we're really going to push us on and for let people discover it that way and say, hey, look at what these people are doing and see if that is something you want to be involved in and let your friends and family and other people know about it and see if they want to get involved in it.
Starting point is 01:48:13 I want everybody to be part of this show me. I don't want people to be proud of it. Floating Heart from Ioshi. Thank you. JC 33. My fan cast Alan Richon has Sabretoot. That would be great. And Kieran Koken has more thoughts.
Starting point is 01:48:28 I got to. this is this is one of those questions you know when you get the question of like is there an actor that bugs you for no reason at all that everyone else loves kieran koken right now is that is that for me do you have that do you have one let me think let me think it's it's it's not for anything except like I just feel like I I don't and and there's a lot of actors like this he plays the same role every role sure and there's a lot so is Jason Statham I love Jason Statham but I don't know
Starting point is 01:49:01 just one thing but I just right now today he knows he's tomorrow he might not Gal Godot She's like I thought she did a really good job I think oh Sydney sweet Yes Sydney Sweeney holy shit What am I talking about?
Starting point is 01:49:16 Sweeney for a PLDC You know He was just in some show recently on Netflix On my wife watched I actually think Sam Worthingin Has come around more so because he suffered that same thing that Jai Courtney did, that I think that Glenn Powell's going through now,
Starting point is 01:49:35 like, hey, it's your next movie star. Why? Because we say so. I was like, no thanks. And I think Sam Worthington really shunned. The movie he shined for me that I brought over, brought up many times over as a movie with Jennifer Anderson, it's a small movie that's called Cake.
Starting point is 01:49:50 And I've never heard of that one, yeah. He's great in that movie. He is really good inside roles and supporting roles. and he's doing different things. He did this show on Netflix recently with one of the leads from Severance, the girl from Severance. And my wife was watching it, and he's really good in it,
Starting point is 01:50:10 but the show, I mean, even Madeline Stowe is in it too. The show itself is such like a dynasty soap opera, so outside of what Netflix really does. I watched the beginning episode, which I thought was good, and then my wife, of course, watched the damn thing without me, which I then internally. turn, I don't really care now that I saw what the tone was.
Starting point is 01:50:29 And by the time I get to the end of it, I watched the last episode with her and kind of figured everything on anyway. And I'm like, eh, tone of this show is a little too dynasty for me. Anyway, Matt Forst, standing up like I'm Spartacus. I'm the law super chat. Oh, so we've got to find Matt Forrest then, Peelty. Can't find it? Let's see.
Starting point is 01:50:51 I'm going to look again because nobody else is doing their job. I don't know. Let me see. Let me see if I can find Matt Force. Hold on. Let me see Matt Force. Okay. So, wasn't crazy. I mean, you're still crazy, but let me see if I can figure it out. Hold on. Matt Force. Matt Force. Give me, Winston, when this is the one thing that the hosts are bad at, but I'm struggling to find these things. This is what happens. Don't say anything, Winston. Don't say a word. People should say things when I'm looking for this stuff. Take the cue. Start talking. Please. Now you're not talking. Winston, say something. still not saying anything sorry i was frozen oh perfect what's the guy's name what's the guy's name i'm looking for um matt force matt four mad force seven let me see i don't see anything for matt force there but it might be
Starting point is 01:51:45 in your no no matt force here not saying oh i think he was trolling it might be a joke though might be like the i'm lucid like it is either a joke or it never came through because it's not it's not there. So just waste of time. Thank you for that. I am. Oh, okay. There you go. I am locked. Now everybody's
Starting point is 01:52:08 going. Do you know, when they do the Spartacus thing, though, I always think, because Peelda, you were a soprano guy, right? I always think of Joey Pants in that. I always think. We got the two quotes that I want to get, if you can pull them from, if you can pull
Starting point is 01:52:23 them and we put them in here that I'd love to have is the Joey Pants one. They didn't wear flat tops in ancient Rome. That's the one. And then the other one is from Game of Thrones, the House of the Dragon one, the new one that's been going around the, I'm back, imbecile. Wait, did that happen? Because I didn't watch the new season. It's the best. I'm back, imbecile. Oh, God. It's great. It's great. It's great. It's absolutely great. I laughed. It's really great. I'm back. Inbecile. You used imbecile. You got me on board.
Starting point is 01:52:59 word. Cell X. 23. My storm pick, Laura Karuki or Jamie Loss? I don't know Laura. I don't know what. Jamie. I mean, Jamie would be great. Jamie would be great. Yeah. Both sides toasted may have missed it. Is Sam going to watch the answer? I need her to see a DC win. So the answer was going to be yes. The problem was that she's out of town. So she's out of town. We missed it. And I don't even know if I'm going to, I'm going to react to it. I think I'm just going to watch it. And I'll maybe just review it. But I don't think I don't think. I'm going to do the reactions. I'm not going to have enough time to do it. I don't think from going out of town and everything.
Starting point is 01:53:35 Laura is fantastic. She was the younger daughter in Black Lightning. She is a fantastic actress. She was in the Wonder Years as well when they did that reboot. Oh, the reboot. Yeah. She's very good. Fast steady, 396.
Starting point is 01:53:54 I have been away, so been browsing the channel, catching up on the shows. Where's Smith's been? I'm feigning for some games. my best to you and Winston. No, okay, all good with Fast Eddie, because the, Smetsey's coming back in September. He'll be right, he'll be back right before we launched a Kickstarter. He's going to be here for the games. He's probably going to be jumping back and forth on a lot of the shows to help with the games and help push the Kickstarter for those for sure.
Starting point is 01:54:17 So he'll be back. He'll be back and he's working a lot right now. Adam Rosen. Snape is the half-blood Prince. That was promised. Perfect. That's good. The Merlo line. Christian, respectfully, I think you let your philony bias to turn you into a hypocrite. Uh-oh, episode four being the first film, Lucas Problem, but you fixed it with the machete order. I'm going to stop you, but I'm going to, I'm going to, well, you know what, I'll read these. And I already, you're not listening to me. You're not listening.
Starting point is 01:54:46 You're all, everything that I'm about to read that you wrote, everything that you read that I'm about to read, that I'm about to read, you're mentioning all live action stuff. But I'm going to see if it's different. Maybe you mentioned some animation. stuff, but I mentioned animation as the biggest thing right now, but I'm going to see maybe you wrote some animation stuff. So let's see. Being the first, you fixed it with the machete order. Prequels have a less serious vibe. It's live action. Lucas problem, but you fix it by starting indoor, live action. Obi-1 shows stinks. Disney's problem, but you fixed it with Patterson cut, live action. Osoka shows up in live action without a backstory, Phelonis problem, so you don't care.
Starting point is 01:55:23 I think an easy and effective fix would be to show the C.m., the Clone Wars movie, type this before you just talked about it. I'm still loving the journey overall. And look, you're not wrong when it comes to the idea. And I told you, as Bobby asked before, Merlo, I thought about the Clone Wars thing. I thought about it. And I just don't think that that's, especially now.
Starting point is 01:55:45 And the other thing is she's already seen the Asoke episode. She doesn't need it. And, you know, it's just not something that I think is, with the amount of time of what, if I didn't have anything, if Sam was coming in here, this is another reason to time, I have to officially balance my time, right? And Sam's time, obviously, the more important thing. So if Sam was coming in here
Starting point is 01:56:07 five days a week for four to six hours a day, I'd say, yeah, let's give Sklmore's a shot, see who it does. People have been talking about it. Let's see how it does. Let's see how it does. I've got to knock out all of Mandalorian. I've got to knock out those two episodes of Boba Fett. I got to knock out, we're going to probably do the Asoka Patterson cut season one, but that'll be next year.
Starting point is 01:56:29 But we're going to do all those Mandalorian, then season three, then Mandelorian Groger. Then all, then the Zach Snyder Justice League, then potentially Aquaman, I don't know,
Starting point is 01:56:42 maybe the Flash, I don't know. But then all of the X-Men movies. And then all the Harry Potter movies. So we're going to be busy for the rest of the year. But thank you for the, comments. I really appreciate it. And thank you for watching
Starting point is 01:56:56 the journey in general. I'm patient, but Smet's games withdrawal is real. Thank you. He'll be back. We'll be back. Pat for president coming in hot. 1.8 billion is nothing to sneeze or scoff. Still trying to wrap my... No, he's not. He's just seeing it slow down from the... I'm saying the speed it which it was at and people
Starting point is 01:57:12 specifically that this is going to be a $3 billion movie. And I was like, let's wait. Let's see what the weekend. Because even, even weekend one to two, people are like, man, bro, it's crossing two billion next week. And I'm like, no, it's not. It crossed two billion faster than any other movie, minus the endgame. It's getting there.
Starting point is 01:57:29 It's still not there. It's at one point. You're talking about $1 billion. No, $2 billion this weekend. It'll be $2 billion for sure. It'll be by this weekend. Sure. It'll still be fast.
Starting point is 01:57:37 But people were trying to say it was going to happen between weekend one and $2. It has to be by third weekend. Seems like Spider-Man popped the cork of shaking up a desire for a good superhero movie. Yes, and it has a proven IP with a good superhero movie attached to it. Yes. Sun Devil Roadrunner. I haven't heard any mystique talk in these X-Men rumors. who would you guys cast and what's your concept?
Starting point is 01:57:56 I was thinking an Asatash Shakura, Angela Davis like character. I'm not going to tell you again, because I'm so far removed from the younger actors these days. I'm going to let the better people of casting decide that stuff. But I would like to see this. The same thing of Winston was saying, I don't necessarily know if you need Mystique in movie one, because the fact that she's been made so famous already by both Rebecca Remain and Jennifer Lawrence
Starting point is 01:58:23 and Jennifer Lawrence but was his, I don't know what her name is anymore, but anyway, she was good in those movies. So you don't need her right away. Yeah. It's so funny. I mean, Mystique has always been an interesting character, but it was wild that they,
Starting point is 01:58:39 when you got Jennifer Lawrence attached, they decided to push Mystique heavy and make her like a main character when she's always kind of honestly been a little bit of a side character. I'm more interested to see them do kitty pride correctly that I am about worrying about mystique personally. I think Cell X2.3, I'm going to call Rip Van Winkle. Rip Van Winkle says pick for Emma Frost.
Starting point is 01:59:03 McKenna Grace for Isabel May. Well, my friend, you've been sleeping because Samara weaving has already been cast as Emma Frost. But those are good, those are good picks. Pat for president. Feeling frozen, try Queen Elsa's let it go, sir. Nice. Sam, Storm seems like it might already be cast, but I saw Couture with Angelina Jolie, which introduced me to Anya Ani. Maybe she could be in Black Panther. Again, I didn't see that movie, but that could be it.
Starting point is 01:59:32 That could be it. Pat for president, 10 large months. Thank you so much, Pat. Really appreciate it. James Kling, 440 Jules, Uncler. And then James Kling also gives another one. So, Winston, 75, pretty damn good. Pretty damn good.
Starting point is 01:59:48 We'll get some. Questions if anybody wants to throw anything now in about the pilot before we wrap up here, please do so. Winston A. Marshall will be here twice next week. He's going to be doing the show with Chris Carr on both Thursday and Friday of next week. Wednesday will be John Rokin and Mr. Cook. And Tuesday will be Roxy Stryor and Mr. Cook. Yes. Yes. Yes. Jules, marshmallow, and Roka will be hosting
Starting point is 02:00:18 his show himself on Monday with PLD. How about that? Oh, wow. The enemies come together. Well, he'll be popping in with the circle of, you know, we'll see many times exactly, we'll see many times Roka throws him out. Anyway, so Winston, where can the good people find you? You can find me at the Swaggy Blur on All Platforms.
Starting point is 02:00:37 On Tuesdays, spilled tequila, myself, and John Roka on Wednesdays. Blurts in the hood, myself in J. Washington. And then as Christian said, Thursday and Friday, I will be here. I will give you all a little bit of a heads up. I will probably still put something up, but I start Shakespeare next week,
Starting point is 02:00:55 the actual performances. So outside of those shows, I just mentioned, my channel will be a little dark for a week. But just follow it, follow me on socials and then when I put more stuff out, you'll know what's up. All right. Thank you to Winston.
Starting point is 02:01:09 Thank you to you guys. We'll announce the winners, obviously, this Monday. well, we'll have probably Roka do it. Winston, I'm going to let Winston take off. And you guys, if you want questions in there, you can. I got one from Josh, who says, pilot question. Do you have a brother or best friend in the show? And do have actors in mind.
Starting point is 02:01:26 I do have a best friend in the show in the pilot. And he plays kind of the producer of the show as well, too. I do have a few people in mind that I would love to get. But again, we need to try to be able to get that, we got to get that goal. We hit that goal. And we're going to make some calls and try to get that person, those people that we have in mind. There's always a cast list, everything too, but I have,
Starting point is 02:01:47 I have some people in mind that I think would be absolutely brilliant in the role, for sure. Okay, let's see. If there's anything else, we've got another one, a Yoshi says for the pilot, other actors you have in mind for roles. Have you already reached out, or are you waiting for the Kickstarter go first? We, what, I have one, I have, well, I have quite a few people, and I have lists of people that I want for these things,
Starting point is 02:02:10 but there's one person in particular that I would love to say is, is attached to it, who's already already and really likes it. But we just would like to get this person attached to it. So, let's see, Patty Boy, is McCrugging to me, no, probably not. Not on, I touched talk to Josh so recently. I don't necessarily know who from the crew yet will be in. And again, it's the same thing when I said, I'm going to have so much more information for you on that side of things when it comes to what we erased, right?
Starting point is 02:02:41 Like, okay, we're going after this. we're going after that, we're doing that now. And that's the other part of the actual pilot process, which is going to be when you're involved in it, you're going to say, oh, well, in this tier, I can check in on casting. On this tier, I can check in on this. I can check in on this.
Starting point is 02:03:01 And you're going to watch, like, the evolution of how you make a pilot. Same thing, you know, I'm going to reach out to Andrew about potentially promoting it. And same thing, like there was. There's stuff that, for me, there'd be more stuff for Andrew to do 100% in the series when it came out. Not, I know there's tons of characters. I know that Andrew would be perfect for. Sam can be your Stanley, just small cat. I would love to have Sam do that, 100%.
Starting point is 02:03:30 Is that person Sam said live in that show that one time? Is it that person? No. No, no, no. No, it's not. For, to play the best friend. No, but he's on the list. to play a different part, but not the person to play the best friend.
Starting point is 02:03:46 No. Kinberg wrote the Ice Cube triple X movie awful. It's pretty bad. It's true. Christian unpronounceable, do I have a composer yet? No, nothing yet. Nothing yet. I'm telling you, right now it's producers.
Starting point is 02:04:00 I shouldn't say nothing yet. I have a core. I mean backtrack on that. I have a core group right now. Producers, director, cast, writers. main cast, uh,
Starting point is 02:04:15 with myself and martini. And then we're building around us with again, recognizable actors, people that you know, other things in that nature. There's other roles and things that we want to go after and we hope that we get. Um, but that's,
Starting point is 02:04:30 uh, that's how it gets built out. You know, we have ideas for a bunch of different roles for sure. Okay. Is that it for now? Okay. Well, we got a lot going,
Starting point is 02:04:40 is there another one, Peeler? I got, Oh, let me say. Okay, perfect. Let me see. Great job. All right, here's the two clips that we'll be playing if people want to put some...
Starting point is 02:04:48 This is my... This is the one I'll be playing a lot. I'm alive. Imbecile. It's alive. I'm alive, imbecile. Not I'm back. I'm alive, imbecile.
Starting point is 02:05:03 That's good. And this one. Look at Kurt Douglas's fucking hair. They didn't have flat tops in ancient Rome. Such a great, great thing. It's really good. I'm alive. That's what it is. I'm alive. Okay. Um, perfect. I want to go, you know what I'm do before we sign off and everybody else wants to ask anything. Again, you got me right now. I'll
Starting point is 02:05:25 ask anything you guys want. That's what I do is I'm doing. So this is your time to chime in. Um, but I want to see this anymore. How many more people commented on that video? That's what I want to check. I want to see that. Let me see where is it? I absolutely have to watch that. I want to see how many comments. Let me see what the guy has the guy responded. anything it's gonna he's probably swat and flies let's say how many comments do we have so for 11 like guys are disappointing me come on what happened um oh is that it oh wait a minute i didn't pin it isn't that it oh wait maybe maybe it wasn't the most recent one oh i'm sorry a maybe maybe it was wrong wasn't no it has to be the most recent one because that's when
Starting point is 02:06:11 she said it and the prince that was promised wasn't it or wasn't it or was it the one before i mpald i can't remember where was i just it was is that it was is that it's finale what i thought i could have i'm going to try to pin it again i just pinned it there's now there's nine replies so there's less better now it's pinned should be pinned now if anybody cares um it's all stuff i can be doing off here anyway let's see let me get back to say there's anything else. I know. I pinned it now. Hopefully I penned it. I thought I did. Maybe not. That voice is so preposterous from alive. It is, I'm alive. I thought it was amazing. Anyway. All right, guys.
Starting point is 02:07:00 I'm like John Lovitz. And kind of, I'm alive. Are you? Where's your dragon now? Okay, let's fly. Away we go. Yes. All right. Oh, you got another one. This is, look at that. Get glowed stars.
Starting point is 02:07:19 I know you often say you didn't like your time at collider. But if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be here ready to support you. I've been watching since the Shmo's Noah Mootry, happy, well, look, let's,
Starting point is 02:07:28 let's make sure to be very clear on something. I'm very appreciative of my time there. I'm very appreciative and the, and the fact that I am very aware that a lot of you have found me from my time there. Make me no mistake about that. I don't, I just, I just didn't from, if I can go back and do it differently, I probably, I would in a certain aspect and hope that you could find me in a different way. Um, but I'm appreciative of it. I'm appreciative and the, you know, the time, the things that we did. I was just watching the freaking, you know, putting stuff up on the on the, on the schmow down vault.
Starting point is 02:08:02 And it's not time for it yet. It will be a couple more videos, but the, um, the 30 for 30 special we did on JTE. It, it's the best. And in those times, I, I really, I really. loved those times and and the kind of camaraderie that we built over at schmose and all that it was amazing it's just there were certain things that inside of both the Collider Live and and the Jedi Council and all that kind of shit that I just would never do and want to be part of but I'm glad that people found that people transferred over I'm very appreciative of the fact that you guys found me there so thank you um Patty Boy after the pilot is filmed where can we see it so that's one of the things that we're absolutely going to be making sure that we can announce when we launch,
Starting point is 02:08:48 right? Because the idea, Patty, is that we can either do, um, you know, something where it's a link with a code that you guys can see it. It's, we're going to have, uh, premieres and whether New York, L.A. or whatever it might be. Um, we'll probably have private links. There'll be ways for you guys to see it to make sure that, well, what the hell did I contribute to? You guys did this. You sure you didn't sell it, but I want to see it, you know, or, or sure. you're about to sell it and they don't let it see it, I help pay for it. I want to see it, which is we 100%
Starting point is 02:09:19 talked about. So let's see. Yeah, that all I've seen is one of those immediately going viral. 100%. Okay, let's see. All right. Good stuff. Thank you guys so much for being here. Thanks to PLD.
Starting point is 02:09:39 And thank you to Luke. Thanks to Winston A. Marshall for being here today. It's for Sam and M.K. Putting in there, the time codes. Uh, so just a reminder, on Tuesday and Friday of next week, Mandalorian, Season 1 will absolutely be going up. The finale for season one will be going up on Tuesday. Season 2 episodes 1 and 2 will go up next Friday. Invincible, season 3, episode 1 and 2 with myself and Ming will go up next week. for sure. And then I will not be on the show all next week. As the, as I told you guys, as the pilot and the Kickstarter are getting closer and closer that my attention is really going to go to this
Starting point is 02:10:27 thing as much as I can to get ready for what we're all about to do. So, uh, we've got Roka on Monday, Tuesday is going to be Roxy and Mike Wednesday. Mike and Roka, Thursday, Wednesday, Winston and Chris Friday, Winston and Chris. So just so everybody knows what we're going to be doing. And that's about it. So I appreciate you guys. I am going to be doing it out of the theater reaction for the new Insidious movie. I'll be seeing that on Tuesday.
Starting point is 02:11:01 So I'll be checking it out. And that's it. Thank you guys so much. You guys rule there's a possibility. Again, Chris Carr is going to be doing footage. from D23 and she'll be sending it. If I can, if I can get to some of the reactions,
Starting point is 02:11:23 if it's like Starfighter and there's Avengers and stuff like that, I'll probably find a way to just do it from my house. Probably won't be the best quality, but I'll do it. And that's it. And yeah, it looks like Mike might actually, Mr. Cook might get his first win this week. Depends unless somebody comes in big here, but I doubt it.
Starting point is 02:11:41 I'm literally about to sign off. thank you for all the support and thank you guys for when we get this thing going like I said if everybody I would assume even yesterday if I look at yesterday's show um which was myself and Chris Carr and currently that episode alone is probably going to be going to tap in close close to 10,000 views or whatever it might be for yesterday's show alone if we had a percentage of people who watch live on that show who watch it today why watch that show who decide they want to support the show. We're going to hit the goal.
Starting point is 02:12:16 We're going to hit it fast. So, thank you, everybody. You guys rule. And I appreciate you. And we'll see you on the flip side. You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook. Thank you, Mr. Cook.
Starting point is 02:12:34 See you guys. Bye, everybody. Bye. That's stupid balloon. Unbelievable. tape job. Bye.
