The Kristian Harloff Show - Robert Pattinson Says The Batman Part II Is A Real Left Turn?!

Episode Date: September 23, 2026

The Batman Part II is apparently going in a VERY different direction. Robert Pattinson is opening up about Matt Reeves' highly anticipated Batman sequel, calling the movie incredibly ambitious and a "...real left turn" from The Batman. So what exactly is Matt Reeves planning for Bruce Wayne's next chapter? On today's Kristian Harloff Show, we break down Pattinson's latest comments and what they could mean for The Batman Part II. After Sebastian Stan compared the experience to The Godfather Part II, expectations surrounding the sequel are getting enormous. Could Matt Reeves actually deliver a Batman sequel that surpasses the original? We also have some fascinating Star Wars discussion after George Lucas opened up about why he ultimately walked away from the franchise he created. Lucas had plans for another Star Wars trilogy but realized it would require roughly another decade of his life. We discuss his decision, the sequel trilogy that eventually followed under Disney, and how different Star Wars might look today if Lucas had stayed. Then there's Blade. Mahershala Ali is speaking very candidly about Marvel Studios' failure to get his Blade movie made. After spending years attached to the project, Ali agrees with Kevin Feige's own assessment that failing to make the movie was one of his biggest failures. What went wrong with Blade, and how did Marvel spend years developing a movie with a two-time Oscar winner without ever getting cameras rolling? The biggest question today is what Matt Reeves is actually planning for The Batman Part II. Pattinson says the sequel takes a major left turn from the first film while still retaining elements of what made The Batman work. Considering how secretive Reeves has been about the story — combined with Pattinson and Sebastian Stan's increasingly huge teases — could The Batman Part II become something completely different from what fans are expecting? We're also discussing George Lucas' fascinating comments about leaving Star Wars, Mahershala Ali finally opening up about the collapse of Marvel Studios' Blade, the latest Nightwing casting report, and Brad Bird's Ray Gunn. Starting point is 00:00:00 So the Batman Part 2 say it's a real left turn. Huh. George Lucas talks a little bit about Star Wars. Hirsch-Halee said, Faggy should feel bad for Blade. And a bunch of other things that we'll discuss. Got a couple of cool little announcements to make and whatnot. So let's get into it because, of course,
Starting point is 00:00:22 we're going to get to the Kevin Smet's games on a Wednesday here. So it is, I feel like I haven't been on in a little bit. on the microphone. So anyway, let's get into the show. It's myself and Kevin Smet's here today on the Christian Oliver show on Wednesday. There we go. Did you shit in there?
Starting point is 00:00:52 Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the show. It is the Christian Arnold Show here today on this Wednesday, joining me on the show as he did a thousand times yesterday. Who's sick of me yet? Who's sick of me? No, for real. Wait, wait, what? What, Louis? You want me to say what?
Starting point is 00:01:08 Oh, that I'm going to Wop Mike Kalinowski's ass 11? We'll go over a lot of the things I went down on the industry show, which I thought was pretty hilarious. We should start pretty big with two announcements. Ooh, two announcements. Because first of all, let me start off by saying
Starting point is 00:01:24 as we jump over here, I got, we got to currently at, let me double check and make sure that's correct. Is that correct? Yeah, I think it is correct. It's correct right now. is 157 543 is where we're at we're not too far away from the initial $200,000 goal is what we are and we what we were able to do on what you guys did for us in the course of 24 hours is incredible and it just and from what I'm hearing I got a confirmation on this apparently we're like the the number one 30 minute comedy pilots ever raised that much money that fast is what I heard.
Starting point is 00:02:07 Now, here's another thing that I want to make sure that people understand certain things and what people have already done for this. We've made it very clear that we don't want to listen to people who say we can't do things, right? And I want to give a little bit of an example for one of the people who inspired me on this. And I mentioned him many times over was what Chris Duckman did. Chris Duckman went and said, I want to make a movie. I'm going to do this. I'm going to tell my audience about it. They know that I want to do this.
Starting point is 00:02:34 and he had an initial goal of what he wanted to do. And when I told people that I had quite a few people who said to me, well, you know, you're not going to have the same audience that Chris Duckman has. So you're probably not going to be able to do that. Right. Well, just to let everybody know in this room. And this is, again, a testament to what he did and how he did it in the records he broke when he did it. He had anywhere between 1.5 to 2 million subscribers when he launched that.
Starting point is 00:02:58 And he did just around 220,000 and 24 hours. And we did almost 160. on our first 24. So the fact that we have, you know, like 15% of his audience, whatever it might be, and you guys showed up for it. It's not anything that's what he did. He pulled off an absolute tremendous feat. I'm just saying for what you guys did.
Starting point is 00:03:21 So did you. And we're continuously do that. Now, the second part of this. And if you're part of the, one of the things I really loved about this whole thing we've been talking about, the Schmo Down and stuff is that that Facebook group that was, could be pretty dormant for such a long time, obviously, because Shmend I wasn't really doing anything. It started to have, like, flickers of life in it, and people have been talking in it.
Starting point is 00:03:44 And so I've been posting little Shmowdown updates there, and I posted another one today. We hit that at such a level, because initially, you know, the goal was one, if we can fund this in 24 hours, that we'll get a Shmowdown 16-person tournament. well because we got so close and so many people and and all the people that are interested in doing it again I had people reach out to me last night and I can give you another person who's confirmed now and I confirmed him last night was chance Ellison there's another person who's confirmed so there's tons of Frankie Numbers also confirmed to come back right so people want to come back in the tournament to compete yeah right he'll be the stats guy but um I and we're going to
Starting point is 00:04:30 We're going to implement the Clark Wolf rule to the 16-person tournament. So I told the audience there that if we hit 157 today, that I would extend the deadline for the 16-person tournament until, because Clark Wolf said seven days, or nine days, whatever, no, seven days, she said. Seven days. So we can do it in seven days. So if we can fund the initial goal of 200, okay, by September 29th, then we will do the 16-person tournament.
Starting point is 00:05:00 them and still. So we have an additional now, now you have an additional six, six days to get to that 200. Now, this is going to be the incentive that I hope that maybe people do today and we'll look at it. If we can get to 200,000 by today, by the end of this stream somehow, some big donors in here, I will send the Inner Geekdom Championship to Kevin Smets, the belt. I will send him that belt and you will be able to start doing your promos with it you go just to sleeping with it at night you can do whatever you want to do that that was going to be part of one of my caveats for being in the match is getting that belt back well you're going to be able to get it but as far as as amazing should people should people help out with the with the campaign yeah how come yeah
Starting point is 00:05:50 why because you want to be in it oh yeah what do you want to do you can manage Chira. Yeah. You can't hear. Okay, look, what you like to say? I don't know. We can't see something that people are watching right now.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Hello? Okay, that was a good one. That's good. Anything else you want to say? Ask her who the greatest inner geek and player of all time is, and why is it Kevin Smets? She's not as familiar with the Shmode. That's the other thing is that she would like,
Starting point is 00:06:20 you know, the fact that we can get her to learn. Bivie knows the Shmowdown. She doesn't know the Shmode as much. That's great. That's why I'm excited to come back. We'll take her to a live event. Yeah, Kiro will be able to hang out with her. Yeah, it would be fun.
Starting point is 00:06:30 I beat it. So anyway. While you work, does she play your Star Wars game? She's got her iPad. Sadie had to do something and she wasn't feeling good at school today. So she's crashing with me for a little bit. But anyway, so that message from her last night was really cute. But I was thinking, but I'm talking about sending this thing out to you over the weekend.
Starting point is 00:06:51 So you can have it. Yeah, I'm saying that way you get it. Not just you don't get it. You get it a couple days beforehand. It's like you can have it and you can. Then I can co-host with Mike one day and I'll just wear the belt the whole time and just get to irk him. And the other thing that I want to say, and PLD, I should have told him this before this too.
Starting point is 00:07:09 So people you're putting in, one thing I'm going to make an announcement and the co-hosts don't even know this yet. Everybody, every co-hosts, because they were all on yesterday, we're not doing the bonuses this week. Everybody gets a bonus for being on the show last week. Oh, yesterday. So there's no, there's no, you know, there's, there's, I didn't want people to compete with it. Because first of all, we were on the air for 10 and a half hours and we, for 55,000 people watch that stream.
Starting point is 00:07:33 So, uh, not really fair to the rest of the host. So we just will give everybody the bonus. So what I want to do today is I want PLD to just star comments the way we kind of did it yesterday throughout the stream and I'll get to them. And it can be questions by the way that are just, we're going to do a full on all questions, not just about the pilot or anything to, like in general, but what I would ask. ask people if you were going to do super chats today, put it towards the campaign. Yeah, you can manage your pledge too. So if you were going to super chat 20 bucks, just go to manage pledge and then add $20 to it. Right. So like I, so for example, I see like Brad, like Brad came in here and and did a really nice super chat.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Today I tell you Brad, just go to that campaign. And like and now you, you'll see the happiest person in the world Kevin Smith this weekend if he gets that intergeekdom championship in the mail. Which equally, if you like to see Mike suffer would make Mike the unhappy. True. That is true. And then the other side of it is that so we're probably, we hit that 150 like we said, we were going to do what we're on with Sam. So I'm probably going to, I get Winston to watch a horror movie now. We've got to figure out which one. I don't know which one one last night. Yeah. Oh, so he has to do the horror movie. He's got to do a horror movie by himself. Conjuring was the one. Conjuring was the one like 65%. That's right. I didn't know if we hit that. With Conchering, yeah, Conchering's probably a good one for him to do. I think. I think that's a good one. What was your honest to God, if you were to like betting man, like what would. was your number you thought like i know that luke said yesterday yeah he thought you'd end up with 50 what were you thinking at 35 to 40 really yeah i was thinking like 70 yeah like i mean more than just the community is just so impressive i'm just blown away by it um it was it was pretty awesome and there was a lot of fun stuff that was going on there too you know i wanted but that was my that was
Starting point is 00:09:14 another goal of mine is that what i didn't want to do is i didn't want it to just be a thing where it was every five seconds oh this is here okay now we're just all all we want to do is just make sure we're tracking the kicksthorter that's it it's just me for 10 and i'm like we got to make it like an entertaining show we bring in special guests we do some we have some laughs we do some things and um and that's why you know we were we had we had kady on we had uh clarka poppson to to do his thing kennel nowsky you kept coming in with the games and it was like it was just it it i wanted to make it fun for people and hopefully that's that's what we accomplished yeah i mean
Starting point is 00:09:52 I don't know how you do it all day. Greg Albo. Greg Alba, by the way, it was great. So Craig and everybody, yeah. I don't know how you do that all day. Like, you know, if I came in and just did two hours and knocked it out, it felt shorter than for me yesterday, like, because I always had my mic and the camera off while I was working. I'm like, oh, I got to come back on and stuff.
Starting point is 00:10:09 And it felt like I was on all day, even though I was in the little 20 minutes pockets. But like, you were there the whole time, man. I know. It was a- And you're doing it twice more? Yeah, so we're going to do another one of those in the middle of the month. and then we'll do one at the very end of the campaign so there'll be two so hopefully i mean hopefully we're looking for stretch goals at that point at least that's the goal you know um
Starting point is 00:10:31 because the stretch goals would then lead us into the boardwalk pictures budget is ultimately where we want to go by guys um so that's uh yeah yeah and then yeah again so again we had and it was and one of my favorite moments too was being able to just shoot the shit with more you know yeah i mean that was awesome that was like hanging out the past yeah yeah was hanging out yeah it was and all this for a bit and i would have loved to done that for a lot longer but it's just i know i felt bad that i almost was text to me like let me get off like let me not come in like you know like i didn't want to no i was cool but it went and it was it was it was everything everything moved everything moved so um it was and thank you also yeah i got to hang out with bocatan oh yeah
Starting point is 00:11:14 you never met kate you ever met her no i never met her met her met i got to see it was fun playing that uh She's awesome with the comedians. And then talking to Andrew Freed and like him like talking about the edit like would have been a lot to me like, you know, making that contact too. Let's be honest. Like that that's probably a contact. Yeah. Well, he's a big fan of what you've done with the show now too, you know?
Starting point is 00:11:34 So that's what I was trying to tell people as well is that that he's so accessible when you can when you can access him. You know, like it's like so like when you're able to have that access to him, he is like even Sam, Sam was talking to him. She's like, I was, I thought I was going to. be so intimidated talking to him and he's just one of us i was like yeah he's just one of us and so um that's why we we offered like those tears that have um you can pitch to him and you can do all that so but the other cool thing about yesterday is it just felt like i mean i had conversations on the side
Starting point is 00:12:06 with chondru um rachel cushion and i texted back and forth uh barbarian craig like just i think a lot of people and i know that saul was saying that they have like these other the other competitors are talking i was talking with brandon hana kai like it felt like this like just reunion outside i mean i know that the pilot right but i think all of the schmodeown people kind of getting excited about that thing kind of returning yeah exactly so and look we're the goal is to try to at least do 160 by the end of this stream you know 200 might be you might you i don't know if we'll be able to do it on this stream but but we'd like to try to do at least uh 160 you need to get one of your ringers or heavy hitters like roka i think you're going to lose money with me on here no i don't think so what we're going to do though
Starting point is 00:12:46 is the first thing we're going to do is we're going to talk about some stories here because we have... Before you get to that story, I just have to tell you this crazy story. I dropped my daughter off at Nipkwai Elementary. I'm at the gym right across the street from it. And on the news, on the TVs, it says Nipikwai School on lockdown. Oh, no. And I'm like, and I start backing out.
Starting point is 00:13:08 I see all these police cars. I'm like, dude, I just dropped her off. Like, I walk her up to the gate and stuff. I didn't see anything. So I'm thinking this happened in the last like 15 minutes. like that there was an active shooter or something. So I'm like getting ready to back out. And then on the ticker or I could read on the captions,
Starting point is 00:13:22 it was like this morning, like someone was injured outside the school and they, the police were really smart and they locked the whole campus down to make sure that it wasn't like some shooter. And ended up just being like, I don't know what it was. But we got emails from the school saying they opened it. But like I had for a split second like this innate desire to like,
Starting point is 00:13:40 even though it was on lockdown and who knows, like I was going to run over there and try to find my daughter. Like that was so crazy. Yeah, that's crazy. In a two second, in like a five second span, I'm like going from like, I'm doing this way to like looking up like,
Starting point is 00:13:52 what they're unlocked? I was just there to running back. Yeah. Thankfully nothing happened. But have you ever had a situation like that? Not to that extent, but I mean, but I know what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Yeah, yeah. It's like there. That's, well, I'm glad that it was nothing too serious. Yeah, it was just someone, I think it was probably just someone,
Starting point is 00:14:07 someone was injured across the street from the school and they had to make sure it wasn't anything bad. Um, all right. So let's, let's see what we can do again. Just to repeat it before we get into the next story, the first story, rather, is that we,
Starting point is 00:14:20 the 16-person tournament is still on the cards if we hit the 200 goal by the 29th. So that's a way for Ed Harrell and everybody else to spread the word to all the Shemotan people who want to see it happen. And for those people who really want to see how a television show is made and see what we're doing with trending, help us reach our goal.
Starting point is 00:14:40 And if you reach a million, if you reach a million by the end of the month, Would you do not a full season, but like a 32-man, 32-person tournament? No, definitely not. But, you know, you should do. You should just smash the microphone against the wall. It'd be great. Yeah, just, just, just, just, don't hit mute, though.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Let us hear it. Let us hear all of it. You know what? While you just go to the bathroom and just flush it right into the, into the microphone. I'm going to hit you in the head with this thing is what I'm going to do. You can reach me on. You can mute it. You start your first story.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Oh, you can mute it now. Thank you. After everything. Perfect. All right. Let's jump to this. Unbelievable. Robert Pattinson, Batman Part 2 is a real left turn.
Starting point is 00:15:24 What's that mean? So let's see. Again, for people who are thinking about putting in questions, we're highlighting all of them, you don't have to put Super Chat. All I ask is go on over to the Kickstarter and put it over there, please. Batman Part 2 is a real left turn. A little over a week ago, Sebastian Stan teased that Matt Reeves currently
Starting point is 00:15:47 in production that Batman Part 2 is a film he sees as something of a masterpiece, saying the experience is akin to making The Godfather Part 2, adding that I feel that highly about it. Shooting has begun underway at Wernambler Studio leaves den, along with location shooting in Glasgow and Liverpool under a veil
Starting point is 00:16:03 of secrecy. Even so, set videos and photos have been out there and no one's quite sure what to expect. Now, Robert Pattinson has teased that we're in for something special, promoting his new film primetime. He tells Collider that the upcoming part 2 is less continuation and more of a re-invention of the character. He says it's so ambitious. I mean, I sort of said that the other day on something,
Starting point is 00:16:22 that the first one was a different take on a Batman movie, and this one is another. It's a real left turn from the first one, but somehow it keeps elements of the kind of feel of it, but it just feels really ambitious, and I'm glad to see how it, and I'm excited to see how it turns out. Reeves famously took a very long time to get the script into shape, resulting in what Pattinson says is a very dense script, a lot going on at once. When you see it, the script is incredibly dense, and it's like, He's just one of those directors who it's really obvious that he has the entire thing in his head already. So it's unusual to be working with someone when you keep forgetting with little elements.
Starting point is 00:16:54 There's so much in it that's almost impossible to compass the whole thing. But when you keep finding out, you're like, oh, no, you know, exactly what you want to do with this. There's just something so cool about it. Yeah, look, I mean, I think this is probably for what they said inside of that article in the first place is that it's been quite a bit. It's been quite a bit before we've even had one of the first movie. And I think he was in his mid-30s or something when they made the first one portraying early 30s. And now he's not. And you can, I think to me it's like you pivot a little bit.
Starting point is 00:17:34 It's like, okay, look, we don't have to, we don't have to do year three. We can say now, now we're going to judge. In the way that Dark Night Rises jump, what, 10 years from the second one to the third one, something like that. How many years was it from it was 10 years. It was 10 or 8. It was it was a lengthy part. There was a lengthy jump. So you could do the same thing with this story and taking swings.
Starting point is 00:17:58 I hear can you do me forever? Can you just play the drums while I'm talking? What? This is not me. What are you talking about? It's not you put you coffee down again. Put your coffee down again. Man, you are grumpy today.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Put your coffee down again. My coffee's out. Look. No, but put it down. I got it to put my coffee down? Put it down. Like normal or like really stop? What you just did.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Yeah, right. It's like you're playing the, it's like, it's like I'm back at Florida State Seminnells and they're banging the drums in the middle of the in the middle of the thing. It's like, this is like the smallest coffee cup. Look at this thing. Oh my gosh. Here we go. I left it a softly. I need coffee to deal with you.
Starting point is 00:18:38 All right. I don't, I don't mind you having coffee. I just don't want it to sound like Christopher Nolan trailer. when wow anyway so how do you feel about this do you think it because this to me makes sense that you got to pivot a bit
Starting point is 00:18:52 and is it is it going to be maybe a little bit deeper into like where the first one was like a David Fincher movie is it going to feel like more like a Scorsese type thing yeah I mean first of all I know when they were first talking about it like the penguin they were saying the penguin led right up to it
Starting point is 00:19:07 and like the second Batman movie was going to be like after penguin and penguin happened like in November like you had octa and Halloween for the Batman. Then Penguin was happening all during Thanksgiving and like November and that it was going to be snowy and wintery for the Batman part two. So I thought it was going to be like right after like it.
Starting point is 00:19:27 So they're saying that it's a total time jump. That's great because one of my least favorite things about the last Jedi was that there's no time jump. I like time jumps. I like getting reacquainted, finding out where everyone's been and what's going to happen now and seeing a more like a, you know, a veteran Batman and like him working with Gordon, that's going to be interesting. The Godfather part always, when they're talking about it's going to be like Godfather
Starting point is 00:19:48 Part 2 or whatever. Like, are they going to be doing like flashbacks? That might be an interesting kind of thing, kind of like how they're going back and forth between Michael and Vito, you know? Yeah, I think that, how does that happen? So I think that would be interesting to say the least to see if they, if they turn it into like more of a godfather type thing. Yeah, that would be interesting.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Yeah. I put that coffee down again. Did you hear it? No, not that time. But I'm, it's going to be very anticipated. I think people are going to really, and it's already got that feeling.
Starting point is 00:20:24 As you said, the script is dense and there's going to be a lot going on with the amount of characters. Sometimes you can get lost in a story like that, or there's too many characters, but I think Matt Reeves is going to be able to do it right. So, I'm curious what you guys think. Put your thoughts in there.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Let us know. And then we're going to, well, we'll come back in a second. I'm going to tell you my wife yesterday, She found out, we have Warby Parker as a sponsor, but he didn't tell me this. And then Roxy said the same thing. Roxy said the same thing too.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Man, people love Warby Parker. So I'm going to tell you a little bit more. I love them too, but check it out. Yeah, I love them. And I'm waiting to try to get them for a bit in their, and I, in their prescription, too. So it's like, I'm not, because that was the other thing when I had these sunglasses. It was like, hey, great. They look great.
Starting point is 00:21:06 You can't see anything. And now, now I have a nice concern. I love how you, I love how you end your ad reads. You always end on like a, uh, Like a, huh. Yeah, right. We got to let them, I was, when I listen to ads, and I see ads, and sometimes people just go, yeah, so make sure you got them.
Starting point is 00:21:24 And then they'll just say, use my code, blah, blah, blah, and this ends. It's like, you know, I don't think they feel like you're. No, I think you're pretty good at that. How do you feel about Mike Kalinowski doing this yesterday? Yes, I know! Yeah! It's good. It's funny every time, because I was watching along the whole day, just to know when I was supposed to pop back in.
Starting point is 00:21:47 And you had mentioned every guest you mentioned, you're like, oh, and then you're going to have Smetsonkowski in the undercard. Like Clark Wolf was like, oh, oh, boy. And Dan and Winston, everybody you told is like, uh, yeah, they know, boy, it's going to be, it's going to be fun. It's going to be a fun, I don't know, probably a year or like eight months leading up to it. Like what do you think? It's like a big, I don't know yet. But it's like a big, it's got that big fight feel. What I will say is so funny is that I watched, you know, watched that back last night.
Starting point is 00:22:17 And this is what I'm trying to, like, I know you're not in game mode yet. But like, oh, no, I know what you're going to say. Go ahead. You weren't, like, he was cutting a promo and I think it threw you off guard. You think it threw me off guard? You were Smets. You weren't Smasher in that promo. Because I'm not Smasher right now.
Starting point is 00:22:37 We were doing your trending thing. But I'm telling you that in that promo, he was K.O. Is what I'm saying. He can talk all he wants. That's fair. The fact is, he's never beaten me in a five. round match ever. And he didn't even make it to the fifth round in the first time.
Starting point is 00:22:52 We only made it to the third round. I know. Beat him by like 50,000 points. I know. And I know you talk about like, oh, like, but I'm married and my wife, she's not going to let me, um, you know, I'm going to have my responsibilities and stuff. And I told her everything that went on yesterday. And remember a movie, you love this movie.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Rocky two. Yeah, I love her. When Adrian is, you know, and he wasn't wanting to train. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And she's in the hospital bed. And she says, just win, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:16 win. That's what my wife is. Like, she's like, yeah, she's amped. She's get amped. The tier is going to get to see me perform. Okay. And I got the, look, here we go. What does Tony, what does Tony? It's already studied. Ellen Brandt could be the title of his autobiography. That's an Iron Man 3. I could tell you right now, cheap trick and a lousy one liner. Let's see if I'm right. Right. So you're good, Pilby. Already training. Where'd you get my questions? I know, right? To answer your question, too, I texted Mike after the show. So now I texted him, here's a couple things that you guys don't understand.
Starting point is 00:23:50 I texted him for the super chats or for the games yesterday. He's the only one that didn't write back being a diva. And then I texted him yesterday just to be like, hey, I'm amped. If you want to get on the same page, like let's have fun with this, blah, blah, blah, didn't write back. So he's already trying to play games. And here's the thing about it. It doesn't get in my head.
Starting point is 00:24:07 What that makes me think is, all right, he's trying to get in my head, but he's not. He's just kind of being a juror. and now I'm not good I'm just going to put the gloves off and if he doesn't want to be friends with me with me for the next year that's fine I'm going to go in with my hoodie pop and I'm going to go down there and I'll just knock him out again and then keep all this talk about how he's like going to be unbeatable and stuff like that the guy is too wound up you saw how maddy got whenever I was mentioned he's going to fall behind early and he's not going to recover and it's going to be a repeat of spectacular and so if the guy doesn't want to text me back if he wants to end this friendship over no come on and friendships no no friendships he's He's ending the friendship. But it was kidding, Mike. There was a lot. I told him I was going to text him a smasher gift every day until he writes me back. But now I'm over it.
Starting point is 00:24:50 If he doesn't want to write me back, done. Okay. All right. Done with him. All right. So let's get to the next story here because we're going to play some Smet's games. And so George Lucas was asked about walking away from Star Wars. and he said, I guess they're probably asked the term, the opening of his new thing,
Starting point is 00:25:15 museum, whatever. The one and only George Lucas famously walked away from Star Wars in 2012 when he sold off Lucas from Disney. As a result, several Star Wars projects and development were scrapped. One of those was the lavish Star Wars Underworld TV series, which producer Rick McCallum revealed a few years ago, had around 60 episode scripts at third draft level when the project was scrapped. The other, of course, was the long, gestating film sequel trilogy, which Lucas himself was
Starting point is 00:25:39 planning to eventually get around to. In 2020, we learned that Lucas had already put plans for that trilogy in motion before the sale, including talking to actors and readying the tech. Aged in his late 60s at the time, he realized that another Star Wars trilogy would essentially consume another decade of his life, so he chose to raise his young daughter and pursue dreams of museum that he wanted to build for years. That dream came true with the opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which was open to the public today. In a recent extended interview with CBS Sunday, Lucas decided his decision to retire from, sorry, Disgust his decision to retire from filmmaking.
Starting point is 00:26:12 Well, I'm 82, so there's a limit to when I did this, I decided to retire from making movies, which is a big deal because I had three more Star Wars to make, but I realized that I was running out of time, and I did want to make this museum, and I spent a lot of time developing digital technology for the movie business. And, you know, all art. Art depends on technology.
Starting point is 00:26:29 He says one key difference for him is whereas films eventually fade, the museum won't. The advantage of architecture is that it lasts. A movie comes out, six weeks, it's gone. ultimately a sequel trilogy was made without Lucas between 2015, 2019 to a decidedly mixed reception. The franchise celebrates its 50th anniversary next year with the original theatrical version of the 77 Star Wars set to hit cinemas in February. So, I mean, there's not really not much here. It's just the fact that this all tracks.
Starting point is 00:26:58 He is feeling good about him. He did what he wanted to do, made his money, is happy, he's a legend, has done what he needs to do, to open up the museum and did it and that's it yeah that museum looks awesome i've had a couple friends go there um and see it they're like uh one one of my friends worked for ABC so she got to see a preview of it like early pretty awesome uh yeah i think i think there was like a screening or something for it uh like it was screening at the actual museum as well um recently so that's that's pretty cool um all right so yeah i mean i like what i think it's one of those things i think you've on one of your games that if you could have him come back or whatever would you and I said I looked
Starting point is 00:27:42 as a consultant in certain things sure you know but like I don't know about like directing or anything obviously from that comment his heart's not really in it yeah I think I asked you once if you'd want to see him direct a Batman movie oh maybe a long time like a total yeah it's one of the earlier games yeah all right um would you because you're in the 80s yeah might have um yeah um yeah All right. So let's move on to one more story. And then we will take, and then we'll take Kevin's games and then we'll go to some questions.
Starting point is 00:28:17 But just that you're saying, and then we'll go to sleep because you're probably so tired. Should be. But currently right now, we are 157, 478, hoping you can get to 158 by, you know, hopefully by the end of the show, we got to 158. That would be good because if we stall now,
Starting point is 00:28:33 I'm going to put my fucking head through the table. I'll tell you that. Well, it didn't even Craig say, though, that, like, that first wave is awesome, right? And it slows down a little bit and you get in your head and you're like, oh, like, it's going to stop now. But then I'm, you know, you're going to get these emails from, I'm sure you're going to have a couple angel investors that are like going to want to put in big. Like, especially now when you're so close to that end and now stretch goals are going to be in the vicinity. You're going to have people, I think. But that's the main thing.
Starting point is 00:29:01 But they got to email you first. They can't do it on the site. I know. But that's the thing is, well, they can email Craig. That's the thing that I want to get to that 200 first because I want to get to the place where it's like, okay, now we know we can make a show. And then, and are people not realizing that the, okay. Anyway, so we're up to 157.503. Nice.
Starting point is 00:29:24 So, all right, let's get to the next one, the next story. And we've heard a lot about, I think someone brought up Blade. I think so, not sure. Blade, I did. I texted you. I saw this video with him talking about Kevin Feigy. Well, I didn't see the video, but I saw it. It'll quote it in that interview. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Or that page, yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, Mahershal Ali says that he's as confused as the rest of us when it comes to Marvel Studios failure to get a blade film together
Starting point is 00:29:53 following his announcement for the role back in 2019. Back in July, Ali revealed that he finally walked away from the part after seven years of failed attempts to adapt the property, telling GQ, for whatever reason, the project is not for me. If they wanted to do it, we would have done it. So I have to move on, and I have moved on. The project famously went through at least five writers and two filmmakers and came back close in 2022, but never quite got into production. Earlier this year, Marvel Studios, Kevin, Fai'E told HSC, I feel like a gigantic loser and failure that we didn't get it off the ground with Mahershal. Now the actor has been given a new interview with GQ and agrees with that assessment after being asked about the small number of films in his resume after his Oscar went.
Starting point is 00:30:31 He said, that should have been six or seven. Blade didn't happen, which I felt like definitely impacted how things unfolded in my trajectory. They had, as you said, a two-time Oscar-winning actor under contract and you've got billions of dollars. That's a question for them. I don't mean anything personal to you, but I don't know why it didn't. To this day, I don't know why it didn't happen. I just know that it was Kevin Feigy. He said it was the biggest failure of his career, and I agree.
Starting point is 00:30:56 I agree with him. I agree with him 100%. 100%. He should feel that way. Ali added that he spent a year training for the film, even injured himself during the process. I trained so hard until I blew my knee out. Like I was just waiting for them, pushing it back, pushing it back. I'm still training.
Starting point is 00:31:09 I'm training. I'm learning sword work. I'm learning, like, name a martial art. I'm training it. I literally moved. I've brought uprooted my family, uprooted my family's move to Atlanta, where they're waiting to go and they just kept pushing it back, pushing it back, and it doesn't happen.
Starting point is 00:31:23 And then it's a strike. He also confirmed that he turned down a lot of offers. I'm saying no to things in that time because they, they own my schedule, basically. Basim Tarik was the original helmet, are slated to do the film and both he and all he worked together on your mother your mother your mother which is hitting cinemas um i think that he's rightfully so pissed off and he's just talking about it like everything that he's talking about is frustrating it's frustrating it's like yeah i'm moving my whole family i'm doing this and doing that great good for kevin feigy that he says it's uh oh it's
Starting point is 00:31:53 the worst thing that ever happened i can't believe it's good you should feel that way because i think i think he's just right now he's rightfully bitter i think right now i mean when you watch the interview too like you can see it like he's being respectful but there's frustration yeah and when he's talking about moving his family like i didn't know he moved his family over there like and he's training and like yeah he could he knew just like the sword fight he couldn't do other movies because he he made this commitment to marvel and then marvel doesn't reciprocate and he what since 2019 it's been announced yeah um and for them not to do anything and like he said he said i think you know being a multi uh academy award winner and you have him in your grip and like you can't do anything he voiced
Starting point is 00:32:33 in Spider-Man into the Spider-verse or one of the after, I'll have to know that soon. Yeah. He did the after credits voice or whatever where he popped in as Blade. So he had one tiny voice came in. It was in, what if? In what if? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:47 I think he did something in a Spider-verse movie, too. Yeah, he wasn't Blade. He wasn't Blade. He was, he was like, Oh, in Spider-verse, yeah. Look at that. Mike's going to, oh. And I'm going to wipe the floor with you.
Starting point is 00:32:57 I mean, fine. I knew that. You didn't know that. That's problems. I'm fine, bro. But yeah. Yeah. I feel bad for the guy.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I mean, it's hard to feel bad for like millionaires and movies started stuff. I don't like when people, people say that. I don't like when people say that. People say it's harder to feel bad. You're not the only person that says that. People say that.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Yeah. Yeah. It's just a person who happened to make it and make some money for himself. I don't, I don't, you know, I'm not, he's still a human being.
Starting point is 00:33:25 He still has to move his family and do all this stuff. And for him, yeah, the pain in the ass. He blew his knee out. I mean, it sucks. So I,
Starting point is 00:33:32 I like the honesty. And he's an artist. And he probably fell in love with whatever they pitched him. And he doesn't get to do that, right? And so you put all of your, your, like, all of your eggs into that basket and moving the family. That's the one that I didn't know about. Like, that's crazy. Yeah, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:33:50 And does he get any reparated? He probably got like a good, like a settlement. Does he get anything paid? Like a no pay for play or like, oh, yeah, yeah. I'm sure that they paid him. That's probably, they probably lost. a lot of money during that blade thing because they i mean you can't you can't retain somebody's services and having to turn down jobs and not and not be paying them yeah he did but it but it sucks that's
Starting point is 00:34:11 another thing that we really talk about is that you know you had uh you had to turn down all these jobs and stuff too so we lost a lot of money on his end so we don't know what jobs he turned down right he might have turned down something that ended up being awesome yeah right yeah yeah but they probably as they said in the chat it's like they probably paid him a holding thing and and And because otherwise, he's like, well, you're not paying me. I'm losing money. What the hell am I waiting for you for? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:37 Yeah. Okay. Let's get to some games because currently we are going to read some questions and other things too. As I mentioned everybody, too, we're just trying to get to 158 by the end of the stream. We're at 157.503 currently if you, and the other thing that I put together, I forgot to mention earlier was that, So right now, if I think it's 2,000 people out of the 233,000 or 234,000 that we have on this channel, if 2,000 people put in $20,000, 25 bucks, we will surpass that $200,000. If we get a little under 8,000 people put in that $25,000, we will hit the boardwalk goal.
Starting point is 00:35:25 So we've got 30 days to do it. But again, if you want the 16 person Shmowdown tournament, now you have a lot of until July 29, July 29, September 29. So there you go. All right. Yeah, it looked like the people were enjoying the games yesterday. They were. I was like, it's kind of like, remember when, because I, before I went on vacation, we
Starting point is 00:35:47 started, I was winning some weeks and we were doing pretty well. And then I've kind of lost that momentum since I've been back. I've been like, you know, riding the pine in the last place a lot of the time. But I was like, oh, remember yesterday, yesterday new fans will see that these games are fun like because I know I'm not like a internet personality like these other people and stuff like that and I was like remember when a Hugh Grant went on so Jay Leno was getting whooped by a letterman all the time and then Hugh Grant went on after he got caught with that like prostitute yeah and Hugh Grant went on with Jay Leno and then Jay Leno won the ratings
Starting point is 00:36:18 everything after that so maybe yesterday was like my Hugh Grant chance so uh maybe let's say what do what do we have for today um we have blind ranking we haven't done one of these in a while I'm going to load that logo up there, PLD. I text it to you. And maybe if the, if he doesn't pop it up, it means he forgot to put it in. Oh, I didn't have that one. I didn't. I did.
Starting point is 00:36:38 I texted it to you. Remember? Yeah, no worries about it. Blind ranking, remember how this goes. I'm going to give you, you have to raise it. Why you send me the graphic is that we want people to see it? Well, the graphic is not something that informs you. It's just a graphic saying, or do we blind.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Oh, okay. It's not like the other ones. Okay. So a blind ranking is you're going to do a top five best movie trilogies of all time. Okay, but once I give you the first trilogy, you have to lock it in between one and five, and you can't change it once you know the other ones. Do you understand? So if I give you one and you think that's going to be your number one no matter what,
Starting point is 00:37:12 you put it in number one. Right, right, right, right. Okay. Gotcha. All right. So this is for best movie trilogies, and I might not have all of them. I might have the, you might have others of write-ins, but these are just from this group. What would you rank it?
Starting point is 00:37:24 We're going to start with first the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Where would you rank that, Christian? probably two number two of all time all time all right I wonder what you think is going to be number one I think I know you're going to prefer number one
Starting point is 00:37:43 obviously all right so you have Lord of the Rings at number two we're going to go the back to the future trilogy where would you rank that in the top five we'll go four four wow is it what do you well I guess I don't want to know what you're expecting
Starting point is 00:37:59 I don't know yet, yeah. Why wouldn't that be higher for you? I, you know, because it's, I love the first, I think the first movie, the first movie is a classic and the other two are really entertaining, but I think there's a lot of things that are just okay. Interesting. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Well, now we're going to start making it difficult for you, I think, here. You got number two, Lord of the Rings, number four, back to the future. The Dark Knight trilogy by Christopher. Only because I don't think you're going to have this one on here on purpose. I'm going to go with number one for the Nolan trilogy. Oh, you, I think you might have misjudged me, my friend. We'll see. So the Dark Knight trilogy for you goes number one.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Number one. Okay. All right. I moved it to one because I feel like probably should have moved three if you do have the other one on there. But I'll, you know, I do. Well, then I'll switch. I'll put that one at three. You can't switch it.
Starting point is 00:39:00 You're left. Oh, okay. You're locked down. So that's that kind of a gimmick on this thing. All right. So number one, you have a Dark Night trilogy. Number two, Lord of the Rings. Number four, back to the future.
Starting point is 00:39:10 We've got two more slots to go. Yeah. Where do you rank the Godfather trilogy? Well, I'll have to go, I'll have to go five on that one. You're going to go five on the Godfather. I mean, that's three. I'll put Star Wars a three. Oh, this is a good test for the game.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Was it fun? I don't know. Yeah, it was. Oh, cool. Okay. So, yeah, you're number one. I always think it's interesting. because, okay, so number one for Christian, just so you know, and you could edit this out of context.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Everybody, Christian's favorite trilogies go in this order. The Dark Night trilogy, then the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He has the original Star Wars trilogy at number three for some reason, then back to the future at four, and then the Godfather trilogy. Right. Okay, if you were to now do it, Christian, in a normal order of things, I feel like Godfather trilogy would be your number five, right? Godfather, because of the third one, would probably be at number five, yeah. Yeah. And then what would the other?
Starting point is 00:40:04 I would put it. Keep Back to the future at four. I put Dark Night at three, Lord of the Rings at two, and then Star Wars at one. Wow. Okay. So really, all you would do... Just switch them around. Yeah, well, you'd only swap three and one.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Yeah. Because I just, I thought you were doing a trick and not going to include them. Oh, no, man. Because then I would, everybody would blow me up and be like, how come you don't have Star Wars in it? Yeah. But it's always tough with you because like with some of these games, like, if you put, you know, they're always going to be the number one.
Starting point is 00:40:29 So I get why. By the way, I almost did it. But maybe we'll do it once you, once the Kickstarter is fully funded or whatever. Would you be down to do a gauntlet, but I'm just doing movie trivia show down competitors? Yeah, that could be fun. Yeah, all right.
Starting point is 00:40:44 So what's the second one? Oh, well, that was blind ranking. And now we're just going to go into the normal games. I don't know this is going to be, these are Luke specials today, because I didn't get time to do any. So we should have fun with this. I don't know what order he did them in.
Starting point is 00:40:59 So I guess just throw them on there and we'll do it. Okay, so this is the, Okay, yeah. Since trending Christian centers on divorce exes forced to work or in co-hosts together. What is the best ex-couple forced to work together in a movie TV dynamic? You have Sam and Diane from Cheers. David and Maddie from Moonlighting. My dad used to love that show. Ross and Rachel, friends. That's kind of not working, but you know what I mean? Harry and Sally from when Harry met Sally. It's more like exes like hanging out.
Starting point is 00:41:31 What do you think is the rest? But there weren't even exes, Harry and Sally. They hook up. that acts is i mean they break up and then they they have they they they bang and then they don't and then they don't they don't talk and then he then he realizes he needs her back in his life but they but okay well then they're still like there's that they're off the board there's that they're off they're off the board okay they're off the board for you where you go so are we back to this where you're starting to audit the quality of my question go back go back to it again one more time you weren't doing this in front of katie sack off yesterday well let's say i think
Starting point is 00:41:59 sam and i actually did work together david mattie obviously um so it's really between those two Ross and Rachel's and work together. So I would probably, for me, would I rather? So what's the question of what would I rather do? No, I said, what is the most, what is the best ex-couple TV? I mean, for you.
Starting point is 00:42:20 This is kind of, both, the trending, every time we pitched it, there was, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's always brought up, uh, Maddie, David. You did.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've got tons of clips of, uh, moonlighting on my phone that have things I've been watching certain things that they're back and forth. Like that's more in the in the vein. Sam and Sam and Diane were in a certain aspect for sure too. But like the, but yeah, I would say Maddie and David. Were you a big cheers guy? Yeah, love cheers.
Starting point is 00:42:50 It was my dad. It was my dad's like favorite show. So I would watch it with him. Yeah, me too. We would watch the Laker games on K-Cal 9 and it would always end around 10. And then my dad would let me, it was when my dad and mom were getting divorced. Right. I was getting to stay later.
Starting point is 00:43:02 And we would watch an episode like on, like on, it would always be right after the Laker game, there'd be an episode of Cheers. Got it. Some of those scenes do not, you cannot air, like, they'd air now, but like the Sam and Diane's slap battle. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, you couldn't do that. He could not do that now. No. Oh, man, but I love that show. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:18 I'm bummed that they never came back for, not a reunion per se, but like Fraser's re- reboot, reboot. All right, DC or Marvel, Christian? Yeah, here we go. It's a, would you rather? No, I guess it's not. DC or Marvel lets you reinvent one hero as a prestige HBO detective crime show in the style of lanterns. What works best? I guess it's giving you options.
Starting point is 00:43:43 I didn't have options in mind, so that might be a Luke's option. So you have to choose between the Flash, Cyclops or Aquaman. I like those. Why not? I think Cyclops would give you the best, I think Cyclops would give you the best detective show, especially in the mutant world of knowing, you know, depending on where he was. where he was going and what as far as what um part of his life he's in is he just kind of graduated from the school whatever was he doing and you know he's Xavier kind of says Scott we need you to go out
Starting point is 00:44:15 and do this and find out what's going on with this mutant and this you could you could see in him kind of you you could see that to me that's the most because I think can really see Barry as a detective and I don't know the other one Wally I don't I don't I don't know him well enough to say whether everybody good detective or not and then Aquaman what the hell is he investigating fish yeah if I remember correctly flash does work though in like the detective
Starting point is 00:44:40 oh yeah that's true he's yeah that's true he does yeah I guess he does but like but he's as an actual detective though isn't he like what Dexter is like a lab specialist or something yeah well he he at the end of a
Starting point is 00:44:54 Justice League or whatever he tells his dad that you know he got the the internship or whatnot so so I guess Barry's already CSI. So there you go. So that would be a good one too, but how does that work with this? He's a scientist. That's the thing. Clash is a
Starting point is 00:45:09 forensic scientist. Like Dexter. He does go to the scene and do some work and stuff. But he's not like a full-on detective. He's like in the background, picking his balls, whatever he's doing. So I was, what's that? I do think that the Cyclops, because I've been doing a rewatch of the X-Men and everything,
Starting point is 00:45:25 that's the one thing that it kind of helps me in my favor. Because leading up to Doomsday, I've been doing a full Marvel. We rewatch of all of them. So I'm already kind of in like training mode because I've been watching it in prep for doomsday. Cyclops, man, I used to not like him in the, um, the singer ones because they made him kind of dope, you know, that Wolverine was the cool guy and like, stay away from my girlfriend. But man, I did like the ones in a, uh, an apocalypse and dark Phoenix. Like I love when he says to Magneto about Gene. He's like, if you put your hands on her,
Starting point is 00:45:56 I'll fucking kill you. Like, yeah, they drop an F bomb. I was like, so I hear the Cyclops is going be a show stealer and doomsday i told i i think i reported that did you by the way oh no no not tombstay not tomsday not tombstay it was for me it was i heard that he was going to do um he was going to be the focus of the the new movies did you see on i almost thought about sending it to you remember when i sent you the starfighter leaked um trailer i do have on my phone if you want to see the encore scenes because i don't think i'm going to be able to get to the theater for it um have you have you heard or read descriptions of it or have you seen oh the trail Yeah, no, not the trailer, like the added scenes.
Starting point is 00:46:34 No, no, no, of what? Are you going to see in the theater? Oh, the Doomsday. No, no, no, I haven't heard. Have you read them? Does it sound cool? Not that, yeah, I could send them to if you want. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:46:43 I recorded them before they get taken down, because I'm not going to get to the theater for it. So. Well, that's, yeah, I guess, well, they came out yesterday, right? Yeah, in Japan, I think they had like a premiere. This is what's, like, and I know that I'm not helping because it, but it popped up on my feed. Oh, but it is insane. You can't, as a studio, what do you do? and like all the whole purpose is to go see and i wasn't going to see it in the first place i just
Starting point is 00:47:04 don't have time with my daughter's birthday coming up oh man this is from this is from galagost on christians are a waste of time yeah i mean i think if you were there to like be all amped up and like you're you're paying money to see yeah and it's like another three three hours like you're going to go there because you love the avengers end game because that's one of the they said it was must watch no i don't think so I think all of those scenes you saw are going to be in the first five minutes of Doomsday. That's what I think. It's very similar.
Starting point is 00:47:37 Remember that after-credit scene they had where Bucky was his arm. It was the after-credit scene in the Civil War. And it was basically a scene from Civil War where he was down in the clam and looks up. That was at the end of it, man. Yeah, which was an interesting tie-in or not. That's how it felt. Like, I feel like these scenes are going to be in Doomsday. I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Avoid X, Twitter, whatever. if you don't want to see them because they're floating everywhere. And I would be just maddened. I'd be so mad if I was a studio. All right, next game. Christian, with Martini's character in trending, being a former S&L cast member, or whatever you'll end up having it be,
Starting point is 00:48:15 if you can't get that license. What is the best movie ever based on a Saturday Night Live sketch? And you can add one if I didn't have one that is your favorite. I got to put my glasses on. Blues Brothers, Wayne's World, McGruber, Night at the Rocksbury, or Coneheads? what's the best out of that group and then if there's another one
Starting point is 00:48:32 well to pldee's chagrin I will not be taking blues brothers I am going to be I'll be taking wainswell Wayne's world yeah the first Wayne's role which to me that that movie shouldn't have worked and it did and um I I loved that movie I'm trying to think the other one said yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it works I guess
Starting point is 00:48:54 yeah Wayne's role to me is is the best did you like a night at the Roxbury to me that was just extended the bit for an hour and a half you know yeah I get it with the dancing I get it
Starting point is 00:49:08 you know who the first you know who was on the first night of the Broxbury it was with Jim Carrey Oh what's the first That was his first And his thing was so funny Yeah they ended up Keep doing it without him
Starting point is 00:49:19 All right Jim Carrey was the guest When they first did it I would also choose Wayne's world Although I thought McGruber was just out of its mind funny That movie was funnier than it then it probably should have been. But yes, that was, Valcomer's hilarious in that movie.
Starting point is 00:49:33 And all I can think about Conads is when you over advertise, like it was Subway had a tie-in with it. Yeah. Remember the ad where like the girl eats the subway sandwich? Yeah. All right. It doesn't make Subway look very tasty, actually.
Starting point is 00:49:44 No. All right, let's keep going, my friend. With the hopeful success of Street Fighter, what is the next big fighting video game movie that should be made? Oh, I know. I took punch out off of this because I knew you would have picked it. Tekken, Final Fight, Super Smash Brothers, which seems like the no-brainer,
Starting point is 00:50:02 but Killer Instinct or Double Dragon, which they already had a movie, I think with Ray Leota back in the day, but. Well, I think they're probably going to wind up doing Super Smash Brothers eventually when you get to, you know, whatever movie it is. But I think Tekken would be awesome. Tekken, you were a big Tekken guy. I love Tekken. Yeah, I used to play Tekken all the time.
Starting point is 00:50:22 And I'd love to see what I think you can really develop it. The problem is with that, I think it's not the most recognizable IP out of all of those. To gamers, they know Tekin, but if you can grab a good story out of it, it would be really, it could work, but I don't think you would, you have, you couldn't break the bank on that on that one. Yeah, I almost had someone said in the chat, Soul Calibur. I kind of run out of options there. I had Soul Calibur in mind. I would choose Final Fight because it has like a good built-in story of the mayor who's like a,
Starting point is 00:50:56 former fighter and stuff like that and they have to get i think it's his daughter and then the boyfriend uh i thought i always thought that was a fun game so you were a big gamer huh because you seem to be up on your back in the day used to play a lot um just apologize for the the the stream the stream is definitely yesterday's stream was uh catch up to me now um but yeah you were a big gamer did you like fighting games sports games like a lot a lot when i was playing when he used to play my favorite baseball game of all time was an indian Nintendo game called Baseball Stars. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:28 That was good. He loves baseball stars. Couldn't you like name your players too? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You go full, full on like league. Dagnino and I resurrected that game. Oh,
Starting point is 00:51:38 and by the way, should announce that too. Tom Dagnino is officially back as a manager. Oh, oh, you should announce the Sam thing too. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Well, people didn't realize that on this stream. That's, that's actually, that was a big thing that happened last night is that, um, I think it was crashing coyote that said like, hey,
Starting point is 00:51:54 if we get to a certain point, can we make Sam, a manager in the schmowdown and we got to that point so sam on on my show my uh who reacts to we just put our laners sam's going to be an official manager now who she manages we don't know but sam's going to be a manager of the schmodeown as well too so to give you a little color commentary on that because for people who weren't there for the later part of the stream the reason why uh she would be good is what you were saying is she's a basketball mom for her daughter yeah and she's like on this but she even said she's like so could i like yell and you were like well you can't
Starting point is 00:52:26 can't do that but like right we she's like almost gonna learn yeah she's got to learn she's got to learn the game but she'll she'll she'll definitely want to do it um that was a fun end of the stream like the last half an hour which is kind of she's just uh her uh energy is contagious you know i mean it even brought you back up like i don't know how you did a reaction after that man you're a lunatic is it possible do you think um for me to collect all of the writers competitors competitors managers managers anyone involved with the schmodown um cut their hands off and not let them tweet
Starting point is 00:53:02 or post social media for a year did someone have something no i just i just i hate everybody's social media i hate all of their social media i hate everyone who tweets i hate it like i see people posting stuff and it's just i hate it i hate people social media and like throw someone under the bus who's who's no just like but even like um you know we were talking about with clark wolf and she's like i don't even do social media i was like That's great. I just post and run.
Starting point is 00:53:27 I can't stand when people make statements on, on, on like Facebook and Twitter and everything. It's not, it's not worth it. It's not worth it. And all it does is cause damage in general to everything in general. It's like whatever it is.
Starting point is 00:53:40 It's one particular thing today that you're passionate about. Someone will use it against you, you know, a week later against something else that you're not passionate about. It's like, so just stay off Twitter. Well, that's,
Starting point is 00:53:52 that's one thing too. I guess we could just talk about it. Like one of the things, I didn't like about the schmodeon when I had to do it was that my private social media. Back then we were encouraged. It was before it got so toxic. I was like all of a sudden talking smack with Jay Washington. And it was fun when we were just doing gifts of like the shark, you know, from Jaws saying this is Jay Washington's boat.
Starting point is 00:54:14 But like when me and Mike are going back and forth and it's like I don't want to be like that. We're like because a lot of my social media is about like positivity because I will disagree on one thing. the number of i will get messages from people all the time saying like thank god i found your channel or think because of my stoma colostomy outreach and cancer i think in some ways it can be good but that's not that's not that's not what i'm saying though i'm not talking about that i'm not talking you're posting you're posting videos of encouraging things and you're posting certain statements about it and people responding to you i'm talking about like when people have to make a statement about something that just happened, whether it was
Starting point is 00:54:53 politically or socially or whatever. So, well, here's my opinion on it. You're not winning over anyone who's not already on your side. And guess what? Those same people will turn on you tomorrow if you do something wrong. Tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:55:09 So it's like, I don't understand like the need to go, oh, yeah, this is what I think about it. I feel like you're talking about Roka and Mike, man. No, it's funny because someone was like well, Mike Joyce said, Roak is, Kalanowski's the worst on Twitter. Then why do you encourage him, Mike,
Starting point is 00:55:27 every time you're like, oh, Mike's Twitter's the best. Every time he's on here, but you want to see, because you stir in the pot. Yeah, I mean, what I do respect because Roka is a friend,
Starting point is 00:55:38 I do respect that he will just, I mean, I could never do that. Like, I could never put myself out there like that. Like, I feel like it's a lot of my, my personal opinions, like, you know, some people will agree, but you're right. No one in the history,
Starting point is 00:55:50 of the world of the internet has ever looked at a tweet and been like, you know what, I changed my mind. I agree with that person. No. You're not going to, that's not going to happen. No. So you're almost preaching to the choir, right? No, yeah. And everybody's like, you know, well, you know what? I'm going to show everybody I'm a good person. Oh, yeah. Well, what? This is the way I think of it. Yeah. It's like, they'll turn on you tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:56:12 Should I have Josh Wilding, Wilding take me down to the ring during the Smodan event? 100%. In my crowd or in my corner. Well, if Kaiser wasn't your manager and you weren't married, I'd have Penny bring you down. It would be hilarious. Oh, man, that would be really. Real areas. Man, she should compete.
Starting point is 00:56:28 All right. Here we go. Next one. Ready? And by the way, I say that. I love Mike and Roka. I just worry. I never want them to get.
Starting point is 00:56:34 I wasn't. I wasn't talking about Roker and Mike. I don't think you were, but I'm saying because they are constantly brought up because they get, they've gotten a spat once, right? And I always worry about them. I don't want them like getting in hot water because of one just off the cuff, you know, because they're, it's just be it. It's just juggling dynamite.
Starting point is 00:56:51 Yeah, I used to say for the Shmona, we should create new handles, and you would collect WWE, like it would be Smasher MTS, and then that's my Twitter for all the in-character stuff, you know. A little update for everybody. Currently right now, we are at 157-648 as... We'll get that one. 158 would be great. 158.
Starting point is 00:57:10 If we get to 158 to get my belt back, that's what you said. No, no, I said 200 for your belt back. But 150, we should do something for 160. If we hit 160, we should come up with something to do it. Oh, my fuck. We'll think, let's let's get the 158 first. And then if we think we can actually get the 160, we'll think about something that we can do.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Christian, good news. A network bought your new show and guarantees you six seasons, but they force one change. You've got to either turn it into a three-camera sitcom live studio audience, make it a mockumentary, turn it into reality show, or everything's the same, but the two leads are up. I thought about this one last night. Those are all awful.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Look at the one on the rock. Those are all awful. I don't even realize that. I think you'd have to, in order to try to keep it what it is, you'd probably have to go to the second one. A mockumentary. Mocumentary? You'd probably have to,
Starting point is 00:58:05 because that's probably the only way you could still, you know, make kind of a workplace type of comedy. Yeah. Which I, I'm going to guess Martini would probably take option one out of those. The three camera sitcom? Yeah, because the other two, the other two won't work with the, I mean, the Muppets will be funny.
Starting point is 00:58:23 That's the one thing. As much as I'm usually on the very opposite page with Bibiani on most things, I loved his idea of having the Muppets host the Oscars. I think it's a great idea. It was like the lead, like the whole forever. Yeah. Oh, wow. I'd love to see that.
Starting point is 00:58:37 I just, yeah, but then you have those actors that take themselves so seriously. They'd probably just sit in there like maybe for like golden globes, but like the Oscars, they'd probably be all snooty. But it could be worse than, what was it, Ann Hathaway and. James Franco. Yeah. I would go the Muppet route. I just think that that would be, yeah,
Starting point is 00:58:55 because it could be in the world of the Muppets and you're interviewing, you know, Kermit the Frog for one of them, you know. That's probably, that's my luck. That's my luck is I'm going to, you can still voice it,
Starting point is 00:59:04 but you'll be a Muppet. Perfect. Great. I can imagine you with it. That's it. That's it. Or just, or just even voicing is like,
Starting point is 00:59:13 all right. Cool. You guys don't fucking Muppet right now, right? All right. Kristen Muppet. We got to get you a Muppet. Hold on. That should be a tear.
Starting point is 00:59:25 This Muppet has no penis. All right. We got last one. Last one. The apocalypse happens tomorrow. You can choose one movie character as your partner for the next five years. Who are you taking? So these are all kind of like famously apocalyptic.
Starting point is 00:59:43 Curtis Everett, Snowpiercer, Sarah Connor from Terminator 2, Max Rockatansky from Mad Max or Robert Neville from I Am Legend. I feel like that one, he survived for a long time, I guess. Who did you, who he got is your sidekick? Does it side, side kick or someone who's my partner? You've got to take your partner, yeah. I don't know if I trust Max because I think Max can kind of go into business for himself. That's bait.
Starting point is 01:00:10 I'm doing that gift. Plus the fact, I don't know. I seen Sarah Conner get down and dirty in a hotel. You never know what could happen. on the road. Plus, I should keep you safe. So she might be a little, you know, we get, we get it. We get it. You kids the savior. Now, let's, let's go find something to eat. Could you play along with her and be like, yeah, your kid's a savior. I take, I take Sarah. I think Sarah would keep, would keep us safe. And then, like I said,
Starting point is 01:00:35 you never, you never know, we might need to get warm one night. There's nobody else around. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely, yeah. Just want to throw it out there. Robert Neville, scientist might be able to help you a lot, a lot. And then that post-clockered world that you don't know what you should about. Like I said, not going to, you know, there are needs that people have eventually, too. And Robert Neville ain't going to do it for me. And maybe you need to repopulate the earth and you can't do that with the others. No.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Yeah. All right. There it is. There's the game. All right. Cool. There we go. So we did it.
Starting point is 01:01:03 We made it happen. Now what we're going to do is we're going to go to. That's, I think, like, my 20th game in the last two days. So by the way, this is not a coincidence. Next week's my daughter's birthday. So I probably won't be able to be on the show until Thursday or Friday next week. Okay. So we'll see if.
Starting point is 01:01:18 we can get you on. I think 10 Sturgers on next Wednesday as well anyway. Oh, that would have been fun to be with it. Yeah. So either Thursday or Friday, we'll figure that out. Yeah, I can pair up with one of them. I haven't been on with Winston. It would be fun.
Starting point is 01:01:32 All right, let's see. It's the doc, doc. Congrats question yesterday. It was an all-timer. It was a lot of fun, man. There was a lot of fun. It's still, it's like one of these things. Like, I can't even, it was incredible.
Starting point is 01:01:45 But it's like, you know, there was always that thing in my head of like, oh, and I know that this is not true. I know that, like, Kevin just asked me, he said, what did you think you were going to end up at? And I said 35 to 40. And the fact that we did almost 150 and 24 hours, we're now at 157, 648, that's big. And now that we're there, I still feel like,
Starting point is 01:02:05 oh, we didn't hit 200 in my failure. And it's like, it's just the stupid games that go on in my head. You know, and it's like, so I'm trying everything that I can to make sure that I can tell you, you guys, all the things that we have and what we're trying to do with it. And I'm hoping that the people who haven't, that's the other thing. If you haven't, if you're watching this stream right now and you're watching live or you're watching on the replay and you haven't backed it, are there things that we could do in order to say, yeah, look, if you guys offered this or you did this or,
Starting point is 01:02:38 you know, or this is this is the tier I'm looking at? Because like I said, we just need around a little under 2,000 now to put in 25 bucks and we hit our goal. So, Yeah. Bobby, Christian, you should call into Heidi and Frank to promote our show to ask Mark next time. He goes in. Help reach that L.A. market. I know, yeah, we should. I should talk to Mark about it when he goes in.
Starting point is 01:02:58 That's a good one now, too. Griffin, Shaw Media, who are your MVPs from yesterday? I'd say Mike and Penny. That was a big moment for sure. Smet's absolutely for popping in all day with his game. And Sam, for the late donations, P.L.D. Luke as well. Absolutely. It was hilarious when, when Katie was talking about.
Starting point is 01:03:15 She's like, because I don't really talk about her. our, you know, our history. She's bringing it up. And then she's like, it's probably pretty inappropriate for us to, to do that in a meeting. I was like, she was a little bit brought up in a podcast. Remember, it was always, it was the, her and Bonnie, that whole element was the reason why, like, that this, this. Really? It even exists.
Starting point is 01:03:38 Yeah, because people knew, I don't know how they, people, that I can remember how it was mentioned, but they knew it did it in an actor, right? And then Bonnie was the one of people said, oh, it's got to be Bonnie. It's going to be Bonnie. And then we played it on the air as if it was. It wasn't. She was just friends with Sadie. And then that's where the idea kind of sparked. So it's amazing how that kind of happens.
Starting point is 01:04:02 But yeah, Katie was pretty fun and open. And we had a blast kind of just bullshit. Yeah, that was cool. Yeah. I was really blessed. They have got a chance to meet her. Yeah, she's awesome. She's her and her husband, they're just really, they're really good people.
Starting point is 01:04:14 and they like they they were there to support so um all right so yeah let's see next one live daily 77 blockbuster quickly becoming my favorite smet's game yeah that's a fun one there's a fun one there's a fun one i like watching uh merrill put that one again i got to figure out how to do um those as short so when i get more time of that that'll be a fun thing to i put together yeah um i have a couple other good ones and ideas in mine gala goes finally receiving live notifications Congratulations, Christian, on your goal. P.S. Smet's, games caused a civil war in my office. Cheers, Falls. That's great. Which games? Which one?
Starting point is 01:04:50 I think he texted me one of them was the one that we gave. Oh, I kind of remember what it was. And he sent me a still of it. It was the, the, uh, Roxy plays Jody. Yeah, it was what we putting together your heist team. I think they were all arguing about their heist team. Like what, what heist, who would you put together to get a heist? Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:05:11 always fun yeah those smet's games are by the way like I said I'm reading these right now too and for people like we're highlighting comments anyway so if you want to put whether it's five bucks three bucks else more towards the campaign and I'm still going to highlight your comments anyway um rather you do that for this one if you can everybody else is getting bonuses this week anyway uh Johnny Holdridge have you started training yet kev uh I watched madam web last night so I suppose I am at That's definitely training. Yeah, I mean, I think Mike, I mean, I have, I resurrected my old flashcards, which is funny. I remember over the summer, before any of this was even a whisper, I looked at the box and I was like, I don't think I need these anymore. Like, I don't think I could ever, all my notes and stuff. I think I could ever throw them away, but I was thinking about like bringing them up to storage up where my parents live. So it's funny that I was like, this close to maybe like throwing it all away. I mean, imagine that, that kick in the teeth.
Starting point is 01:06:08 If I had to defend my belt and I didn't have all my materials. So yeah, I have, I'm like the girl in law with signs with water all over the apartment. I always have a stack of index cards with my notes near something. So if I have to go out the door, there's a stack. And before I go out the door, I run three off. Like so when I'm in training mode, I literally everywhere are stacks of index cards. So if I get something out of the fridge, you got to pull three and you got to answer three. So these are things that, get me that it's fun.
Starting point is 01:06:37 It's fun to have it on. It feels like it's 2019 again. My wife's not happy about it, but with all the stack. See, you said she was happy. No, she's happy about me winning, but she just wasn't want, you don't, she doesn't want a stack of index cards next to the toilet. Sean McCabe, what's up, Sean? Today is a good day to celebrate 19 months of a crew.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Crazy. That's nuts. 19 months. Wow. I didn't really feel that we've been, we've been, had memberships for almost two years now. It's pretty nuts. Awesome. Oh, it's pretty nuts.
Starting point is 01:07:01 You've been doing an amazing job. I'm proud to be part of this adventure with you. Here's the future guys. Much love. Sean, super supportive. amazing guy. I really appreciate everything and and it was great to have you there yesterday for the support. Brad Johnson, love you guys. It's not often you get to do directly help someone achieve their dream. Couldn't wait to pledge and be part of our show.
Starting point is 01:07:19 Smets is the best. The work you're doing is amazing. Thank you. Kevin has some great stuff for us on this show. Thanks. The shorts, the games, the helping with the trailers for trending. He's been a major asset. And then it was funny. If you watch that portion of the stream yesterday, when Martini and, and Freed realized it's that Kevin. They would think they're they were like, they were like, they were like they lit up because they like they rave yeah and he felt bad he's like I wouldn't have given you shit about the Keaton thing yeah I'm surprised no one gave me shit about no adam west batmobile by oh that's true too um but yeah look that's that's that's kind of thank you brad for saying that I that's kind of the thing that I've been telling everybody and people who
Starting point is 01:07:53 you know who haven't uh backed yet if it's just like I want to do this kind of thing together because I feel like people will be proud of it and I feel like people will sit there and say hey look what we all did together and that's kind of what I've been hoping that people see when they saw it and the other thing is I'm going into a meeting with with Freed and the crew and the rest of them today and we're at 157, 723
Starting point is 01:08:17 so I would, I mean, ideally I'd love to go in there and say, hey, we're on the live stream and we did what we now are at 160. The PLD is the one who gave me shit about the Batmobile by the way. He just texted me. He gives it to himself. Yeah. KC. Only been here 14 months just discovering the Schmodeown. How long would it take me to
Starting point is 01:08:34 get all cut up before the 16-person tournament. It's going to take a while because it's on me. The entire library used to be available to the public, the entire thing, but we started the Schmodeown-Ball channel and we're showing that in
Starting point is 01:08:50 chronological order. So right now, if you're watching today's match, today's match was a pretty good match. You weren't in the league yet, but I'm sure you know about this match. It was the debut of both and Draco and Bibiani.
Starting point is 01:09:06 They played against each other in the match and at the time they broke the record of amount of points. Yes, I remember that. And they both. It was like no one lost even though there was a winner. You know what I mean? Yeah, that's great. They both became stars
Starting point is 01:09:22 pretty quick after that match and then they both had a pretty significant role because it's like the end of season three and then the first spectacular happens and they both have pretty big roles. And so for people who don't know, and you don't know anything about the Schmodeon,
Starting point is 01:09:38 you're just discovering the SchmoDown. The ultimate, the ultimate Schmode is our tournament season, and that leads into eventually getting into the spectacular. And spectacular is like our WrestleMania Super Bowl, right? And the first one ever was right after season three. And to like a four and a half, five-hour event, I am going to actually,
Starting point is 01:10:00 because it used to be where they were, when they originally aired, it aired in two parts. I'm going to run the whole thing as a full, because I think at the time when you, at the time when we ran it, it was like you couldn't run videos that long. I'm not sure, but now I'm going to run the whole video as a premiere.
Starting point is 01:10:17 So time codes, and then I'll probably piece out each individual match as well. But then we'll lead into season four. Because the awards didn't really start until season, after the end of season four. We gave out awards. We got like rookie of the year and that kind of stuff, but it wasn't like a full on show until the full year.
Starting point is 01:10:36 Do you remember I wrote you an email that said, I'm going to win rookie of the year, IG player of the year, and be champion at the end of the year. And I sent that email to you the night after I met you at the previous years awards. Awards, okay. And then I hit it.
Starting point is 01:10:50 I had all those goals. I called my shot. I do have a question, though, in response to this matchup between myself and Mike Kalinowski, which, I mean, we still have to like lock down the details and stuff like that. It's got to be tons of deal. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:02 We should have a summit altogether. 100%. Well, it should be, no, it should be, it should be recorded. And it should have, it should be you. No, no, I'm saying behind the scenes like, he's going to have his ass. I know that. But we should have, but we should also do one where it's you and Kaiser, Shannon and Mike in a room, like, sign in the old contract. Oh, I love that.
Starting point is 01:11:21 Yeah. But here's the thing. Why are people going to care? The newcomers aren't going to care about this because you're not going to get to our rivalry if you do it in order where it might be whove you to start a playlist that. shows the rise of him the rise of smashers so i know maybe maybe well nerd chronics also coming back so what i might do is is put together like you know have him maybe edit together like a full video of all of like the history of smetts and kalanowski yeah because you can still see you can still see like basically what they did with the jt e one but um you can do um you can still do a history
Starting point is 01:11:54 of something too and you don't need to see everything we hit one amazing guys we're almost we're almost at 158, not too far away from 160. So almost 158. Nerd chronic coming back is like, I mean, that's huge. He wasn't with us at the end. No, and like the return, my return match, the final alley. Like the editor, no discredit to the editor who did it. They did a good job.
Starting point is 01:12:19 But there was just that nerd chronic. He felt like you ripped him right from the WWVB offices. He just knew it. He just knew it. I was so, yeah, that was bummed when we didn't have him anymore. Hotel Nerd had to leave early yesterday, so I'll ask again, are you looking for extras? And if so, are they paid or not? Would you get IMD credit for it?
Starting point is 01:12:34 I'd love to do it. Hotel Nerd, same thing. It is an option on one of the tiers. Yeah. Logan. Hello, Christian. Where are we the Kickstarter? Again, currently right now, we are at 157,900 is where we are.
Starting point is 01:12:50 Exactly. Who's going to throw a Hyundai? I should do it. I should change my, I love how Winston did it during the street. I should change my, you know what, I'm going to change my, manage my pledge. Hold on. Let me see if I can manage the pledge. I'm going to get us to 158 right now. Hold on. Okay. So change your price. I'm already at a second, there we go.
Starting point is 01:13:07 I'm going to, here we go. Oh, I can do bonus support. Let me try that. I'm going to add a hundred to it. All right. Here we go. I just click continue. Confirm changes. All right. You did it? I did it. Thank you, Kevin Smedz. Your payment has been updated for. let's see if you got one to see a jump there it goes there's a jump 158 Kevin made us see and that's I get my belt back no not yeah you want to put it you want to put it another 22 grand okay and maybe 30 32 grand 32 grand someone just maybe 42 grand for 10 grand for the divorce lawyers when my wife leaves me just jumped up to 158 one so the other thing for people to do to like
Starting point is 01:13:48 I said I'm reading all these questions PILD is starring all the ones so if you want if you're thinking about oh you know what I'm going to put five bucks on a super chat put it towards the do what Kevin just did put the five bucks towards the thing I'm going to read your questions out anyway it's pretty easy by the way it wasn't yesterday I think you slowed down Kickstarter because yesterday it was lagging a couple times but this time they when I went to manage pledge I didn't have to redo my pledge it this had a little bonus thing right underneath and I just said that's that's what I'm that's what I'm telling people so um oh wait so I just love the chat's giving me a lot of love I love you guys gentlemen everybody you guys are the best so good
Starting point is 01:14:25 through the tough times too. Yeah, this is perfect. Just like what you guys are doing right now. That's perfect. Like just like I'm going to, I'm highlighting all of stuff instead of like, you know when you do stream labs and we don't do stream labs anymore? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:37 Like just just put that toward if you're like, oh shit, it was going to do a super chat. Pielty's going to start your question anyway. So just just put it towards the, the Kickstarter. That would help more. Mike Mujo.
Starting point is 01:14:46 And anyone who has an extra 32, line around. You can come, you can take me down to the, uh, get the belt. Yeah, you get the belt.
Starting point is 01:14:53 Uh, wonder is JTE coming back. Look, like I said, there's only been eight or nine people have been announced. There's going to be tons of other people that are going to be announced. If we make, just to reiterate, I changed it now, the Clark Wolf rule by September 29th. If we hit our initial goal by the 29th, then we will get the 16-person tournament. Thanks for extending the 16-person deadline. A lot of people, including me, are very excited about it. If you can, I'd publish that ASAP on the campaign page.
Starting point is 01:15:21 It's already up there in an update and everywhere else. I think it's already up there. And I have another announcement. And can we send the update to Kickstart people about the Shmodeon thing? Okay. So Craig just announced that because these sneakers went so fast that it's a limited tier, but they added three more pairs. So there are three more pairs available right now for the Kickstarter for the
Starting point is 01:15:53 sneakers, but then that's all that's going to be there. What's the donation for the case? What is it? What is it? It's an add-on. I can never get the add-on working, so I never saw what it was. Add-on the bottom. Have you not seen the sneakers? No, I saw the sneakers, but yesterday, because they must have been sold out. The add-on, there was no button to press add-on because I was going to try to say. Oh, okay. It should be in there now. But yeah, those sneakers, there's three pairs left of those exclusive trending sneakers. And yeah, let's see. So Armada, hereditary reaction with Christian Winston. I mean, maybe eventually on that one,
Starting point is 01:16:25 but I think, I think for him we'll probably do Conjuring, for sure. Bill has Harloff covered the Raygun trailer. No, because I'm going to see the movie tonight. I'm going to see Raygun tonight. So I'm not going to watch a trailer.
Starting point is 01:16:37 I'm going to see tonight. I'm interviewing Brad Bird tomorrow. So, so there you go. That trailer is awesome, by the way. Yeah. Chase of, uh,
Starting point is 01:16:45 uh, uh, who frame Roger Rabbit. Oh, does it? Fifth element. Like, I mean, it's great.
Starting point is 01:16:50 Okay, good. I'm excited about that. No, wait a minute. You're interviewing him, huh? Brad Bird? Yeah, tomorrow. I got to get some questions from Luke. All right, Sherlock. Hey, Christian, just want to say thank you for your passion for trending.
Starting point is 01:17:03 It has helped rekindle a spark and a friend of mine to get back into writing a script, which he lost after his mom passed. Oh, man, that's really powerful. Thank you for writing that. Thank you for telling me that. Please let your friend know. Obviously, our hearts go to him about, his mom, but then I'm, I'm, I'm so glad that that was, that was something that he's able to do,
Starting point is 01:17:27 that that worked. So yeah, that's good. It's really cool. Thank you, Sherlock, for telling me that. And listen, there's nothing better in the world than to accomplish your own dream, right? Yeah. But a close second is to help someone else do it, because that's what keeps the world going, is like you want to help people out, you want to see your friend succeed. And anyone who doesn't, who wish, you know, who, like you said yesterday, it's human nature sometimes. You want to, you root again. I know comedians always say that, right? It's really hard for when a fellow comedian gets their pilot. I've heard interviews where it's like really hard for another comedian to get a pilot or a TV show and then they're hard.
Starting point is 01:18:01 So for me, you know, I had my dreams coming out of film school. I didn't acquire all of them, you know, but to see by my buddy Christian who's done so much for the, you see a lot of those messages yesterday that these aren't just for trending Christian. A lot of these are, hey, I saw a lot of them. You entertained us for the last 20 years or are you. gave us, you know what I mean? Like you put in a lot of your blood, sweat, and tears into this channel and into the schmodeon and into schmows and everything else.
Starting point is 01:18:29 They're paying you back for that. It's like a pay it forward. So there's nothing better than doing your own dreams, but close second is helping someone else get their dreams and just feed them sore. And, you know, that's what excited me about this whole thing. Andre's put in, here's a fiber for Smets to buy a coaster for his coffee. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:46 Sorry. Yeah. That's a good note, by the way. I won't do that anymore. That's okay. It was funny. Just Ben. I feel like Kevin should already have the belt.
Starting point is 01:18:54 Yeah, if he was able to afford it. Well, listen, I haven't signed any contract yet. You want me to compete in that thing. I'm going to want that belt around for at least a couple months. Well, when we actually lock it down, we'll see. A little slippers. Maybe the next time you go to L.A., though. You don't want to ship that thing.
Starting point is 01:19:10 No, it's true. It's true. Future merchandise possibilities to pass on to Craig or whomever, a 16-ounce-covered Yetty mug. That's a good one. Thank you. PJ I'm already in game mode now. All right, PJ, I'm heading to the coffee shop to dust off the question doc and rulebook. Time to start reequating.
Starting point is 01:19:27 Look at that. We're almost at 159. Look at that. See? I think people are understanding what I was saying. We're highlighting all the questions now. So like, well, I was going to do super chat. Don't.
Starting point is 01:19:36 Just put your super chat towards the, the campaign. That's all. Hey, PJ. That's it. PJ, for Madam Webb, dude, the song is Britney Spears, her song, Toxic. That's the song playing on the radio and playing at the diner. I'm already ready. It's already in here.
Starting point is 01:19:51 Ask me that is a five-pointer. We'll see what happens. Can I use the trending logo to put a Yeti Tumblr for myself? They have customization. I guess, yeah, sure, why not? Rob McDonald, asked Smet's those extra trivia questions yesterday. Do we have them? Where were they?
Starting point is 01:20:04 Yeah. Do you have all of them, the extra ones? Yeah, give me a second. I took a photograph of it. Okay, bring it up and then just. Oh, I'm nervous. Got them right here. I got to ask you, like, from my phone, though.
Starting point is 01:20:15 How many were there? Three, five? There's only three. Three. Three. from Evan Buscar, goal leader himself. Oh, nice. In The Force Awakens, what system is destroyed by the Star Killer Base?
Starting point is 01:20:27 Hosni and Prime. Correct. Armada, B.YT, asked who directed Jonah Hex. Jimmy Hayward. Come on, dude. And Yoshimids is 5537. Yeah. I believe.
Starting point is 01:20:39 Yes, it is. I didn't look up yesterday. It is. You see how quickly I answered that, Christian? Is that good? Yeah, that's good. Thank you. This one I'll have to relook up because this was a tough one from Yoshimitsu, I think.
Starting point is 01:20:47 how many actors played more than one named character in the Lord of the Rings trilogy? That's a tough. I mean, if they ask that one, I'm going to walk off the stage in Vegas, dude. I remember I lost the Lord of the Ring. Everybody else in the Lord of the Rings Patreon match got like their five pointer was easy, but PJ might remember this.
Starting point is 01:21:07 My question, which by the way, it's no, it's in no media, it's a no, there's no, you have to go to the screen and count it. It was how many chairs were at the council of Elron. And I was the one who got bummed with like, with that one. Still, not that I care or still think about it every day, PLD. All right. Is that it? Is that it? What was it? The answer, by the way, was four. Four. I mean. Okay. That's, that's a tough question. That's like a team's question. John Rice Davies, right?
Starting point is 01:21:33 He's a big one. Yeah. It's our Andy Circus too, technically. Andy Circus, Benedict Cumberbatch, right? No, not Benner. Smog. He did Smog and the Necromancer. I'd have to look into it. Uh, no. Yeah, it's John Rice Davies, Lawrence and Macor are He lurched Gothamon and Witch King. Chad Brofee played Snaga and Sharko in the two towers and then Andy Circus. And well, for covering the Hobbit, too, Benner, have I come back. Enough of this. It's, it's the doc, doc.
Starting point is 01:22:00 Mike pissing off Smets is not smart. And angry Smetz is unbeatable. I'll say this. It's all in jest. I love Mike. Mike's not really good at texting back anyway, right? He's always been that way. But, you know, if for me, there's been a lot of bulletin board material.
Starting point is 01:22:17 on this show because I have to watch all of them because I help Christian with his shorts. So, oh, I don't know. I feel like Christian says some of this shit just to piss me off. But like what? It's just going to put the chip on my shoulder like it was when I was the, the smasher when I first came in, dude. It's like no one believed in me. You threw me to the fan leagues.
Starting point is 01:22:34 I destroyed everyone in the fan leagues. Then I came back and I went on that run. Don't tell Peter a knock, like, was a little bit of a bump in the road, glad it happened. Then I won that title, man, and I never stopped. Like, so. Yeah, true. So the more chip on my shoulder, the. better I'll be. So keep, keep bringing your negativity,
Starting point is 01:22:49 Harloff with your little golden boy shot Michael. There's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, oh, you love your golden boy. First of all, listen, there's no negativity. It's just a matter of opinion. That's not negativity. Now you're playing into what the trolls
Starting point is 01:23:05 do. If you have, if you have, playing into story, let me have, people, but that's not negativity. Your storyline is incorrect. This is such a cool space. It's a third tier last night. Thank you, Dave. Amazing. Thank you. I remember sending bad art in for the matchups in the early showdown seasons.
Starting point is 01:23:23 I was stoked to see a few of them used, excited for trending. Thank you, Dave. And I think you can even go towards the, we're airing some of that stuff on the, on the Vault Channel, because what we used to do in season three, we stopped doing it, I think, in the mid-season three or towards the, maybe towards the beginning of season four. I can't remember it. But no, actually, no, in season three, because I'm watching the match today and we didn't do it. but we used to take the fans,
Starting point is 01:23:47 um, art and fans like Twitter, and we used to like the memes that they would send and we would show them before the match. And we were like as the buildup was happening. But then we saved that for like bigger, like bigger fight fields. Brandon Hanna just texted me ever the, uh, IG player.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Yeah. He, he, he posts challenge. It Hosnian system, not Hosni in prime. So he threw a challenge out there and I probably would have lost that challenge. Probably would have. Uh, rain guitar,
Starting point is 01:24:12 one. I had budgeted 100. did 100 for the Kickstarter, but I had to splurge for the chat, the chance to chat with you one-on-one over Zoom. I recording an album with my daughter's band doing it ourselves, trying to inspire me. How cool is that, Ray? Thank you for that. And I look forward to talking to you, man.
Starting point is 01:24:25 It's going to be, that's going to be awesome. Really cool. I'm glad that you did that. I'm appreciative that you did that. And thank you so much. And amazing with your album. And that's cool with your daughter's band. How awesome is that? It's amazing. Congrats. That's awesome. Going after your dreams. That's the best.
Starting point is 01:24:39 PG. Now you know what it's like to have your questions audited, Smets. That's when you're, yes, PJ. This guy does it all the time with the Smets game. You're coming on late, man. Early on, he would just constantly berate me for Mike. Berate. See, I'm going to start to agree with Mike a little bit more.
Starting point is 01:24:55 You do like to play the victim a little bit more, huh? I've never said, wait, hold on a second. When did Mike ever say I play the victim? Oh, sorry. I forgot I'm not allowed to say that I had cancer. I'm just playing the victim. You know what? Mike wants to be like so much.
Starting point is 01:25:09 He doesn't want to be the heel. How about this? I pitched this to you before. Let's say my heel character is I fake the cancer. I took all that GoFund me money and I went to Miami and bought out. And I could be the heel. I don't care because it'd be fun to be a heel. Nah, it wouldn't work.
Starting point is 01:25:23 They wouldn't buy it. I told you that when you came back. The cancer was fake. My wife is fake. These are actors. You know, Kevin actually tried to pitch himself coming back as a heel. And I said, there's no one's going to boo you. There's not one person that you walk through that curtain.
Starting point is 01:25:39 No one's going to boo you. I don't care what you do. Well, you tried to because I was supposed, I was supposed to turn heel after I won the title from Mike. It's Spectacular. And we did an audible in the middle of the match. Right. Right before I went up to Sturger, you're like,
Starting point is 01:25:51 audible, like, I think I'd still try to do it. My dad was in the audience. My plan was to be like, there's my dad up there. You never believed in me either. You could suck it just like Harlock. And then we just, because everybody was so. You're all cheering. And I was telling, yeah, I was telling, I told you this.
Starting point is 01:26:06 I said, you can't. I said, don't cut that. I remember that. I said, don't cut that promo. The only way I could be a heel is if I took my Colostomy bag. get through it on the front row and even then they probably still cheer for you um because you probably hit chandra in the face with it and i probably love it um all right p j campbell now you know what it's like that we did that one right el he does berate me no i i like to be overly dramatic just saw resident evil
Starting point is 01:26:29 wow i loved it congrats on the launch of the kick starter was able to pledge 25 thank you so much for that also condolences to yeah i'm very sad to get that news yesterday too yeah because it was was a was a was a was a was always is here and contributing to the conversation. Panic. Panicomondia. Give the champ his belt. Can we hit that? Let's see if we hit 200 today. Look, you could use a thing too. You could save it and give it to me at the live event because I ain't losing that at a live
Starting point is 01:27:00 event, so I'll just have it for the year after the live event. Joseph Ashley, could more tears be involved to be added to bring folks on board? We can't add anymore, man. We added so much. There's so many options on there now. Have a pizza. I would do the have a pizza, have a slice of pizza with Christian to you. There was one that we thought about going to Talios. There was one, like a pizza party conversation.
Starting point is 01:27:21 We thought about it. We're not sure. Rick Jones, Hope Christian hops on other channels for promote a show. Well, one of my goals is to try to text some people and start reaching out now. But, you know, I'm tired. Ed, Christian, to Kevin Smith of a factory. Not yesterday he didn't, but he usually takes a while to do it. Ray, support. Cheers, everyone.
Starting point is 01:27:41 Thank you. Thank you, Ray. Yeah. Pan of the Katie quote about Star Wars fans from your interview was the best. Yeah, that was hilarious when we, that whole thing when, but even, even,
Starting point is 01:27:50 because it was Brett and I who were interviewing her. It's funny. Yeah, I went everywhere. F. Now, I'm not, you don't remember that.
Starting point is 01:27:57 I've known Katie for now. It's been 20. 20? So that's back when the BSG? Yeah, she was, she was in the midst of filming the last season when I first met her. I thought you said the bot was in the bottom.
Starting point is 01:28:11 Wasn't the boxing episode? No, she had shot that scene. She had shot that already, and we talked about that scene when I met her. Yeah. And then she went off to shoot the finale, the final season. It's funny.
Starting point is 01:28:27 Fun fact, you can actually hear, I think that there's the stand-up that I have from like 2007. She's got such a big laugh. You can hear her laughing in the crowd. Let's see, Haskell, MVP to everyone who donated 1,000% Good call, Ed. Good call. I never knew Katie was so funny and quick. Oh, man, until I saw it on the stream yesterday.
Starting point is 01:28:48 I immediately subscribed to her channel to that. Grace Gandalf, that's a great name. So, yeah, I guess that's also, she's super funny, really. And she even said it too, where she's like, you're going to put me in a comedy? I say, yeah, because I know that you're funny. And she was a co-host with me and Mark. She used to keep up with us, and she's got one-liners,
Starting point is 01:29:06 and she's really funny, yeah. Um, has he not got Ashley movie? What's that? Who? Has he not got out of show? To get, oh, to come back? I think, I don't know if I'd be able to get Ashley to come back. That's never seen never.
Starting point is 01:29:23 I just, I don't think she's really in the space anymore, but that's, that's very possible. Paige, Christian, remember when I talked with you? I think my birthday wish is coming true. I donated 125 towards the goal, much respect always. Thank you, Paige. Yeah, I do remember. And it was really nice. And we, our live stream, when is our live stream on Friday?
Starting point is 01:29:38 What time? 230. Yeah, 2.30 on Friday. Okay. Let's hear where we're at right now. Again, for people, please don't put super chats and just put it towards, just add it to your pledge and if you're going to do one right now, we're at 158, 650. Let's just see if we can get to 159.
Starting point is 01:29:55 Let's try to do that. Let's try to get 159. We're trying to hit 158. We'll get a 159. Be amazing. My phone calls at 3. It's 3 o'clock is our show on Friday, too, by the way. Three o'clock is our stream?
Starting point is 01:30:07 Three o'clock is our stream. Okay. All right, let's see. Next one. Did you get that text? I know you had such a long day, and I thought that maybe if you had six minutes before you went to sleep, did you watch that video I sent you? No.
Starting point is 01:30:19 Last night, what I did is I went, my wife, who, I'm sure. She's actually good. I was amped still, you know, from being, but I was delirious. And so I went downstairs, and I just chilled out for a second, and then I passed out. Lord Scriff is this YouTuber. He makes a ton of these like AI Indiana Jones movies. So if you don't like AI, skip ahead real quick. But he made this six minute, he was like this, if you intercut this into dial a destiny.
Starting point is 01:30:46 Because remember he says how Mutt Williams died in the Vietnam War. And that's always a bummer in that part of it. Yeah. Yeah, I'm like, now you watch Crystal Skull. You're like, this guy's going to go off to Warren a couple years and get killed and left out there. He did this thing where short round and he aged him up to like how he looks in the the Korean movies like at the TBA. short round with the hat and he goes to Vietnam and rescues mutt and like mutt is all beat up like the P.O.W.
Starting point is 01:31:10 It's so good, man. And then the ending is worth it. Mish King. It's called the Lost Sun Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny's Happy Ending for anyone. Yeah. All right. Question for Arles. Speaking of reacting to horror movies, Winston, what do you think of Polder guys? I like Polder guys.
Starting point is 01:31:24 I like, that's a good movie. It's classic. Aren't the Smodomach is still all available on the podcast feed? That might be true. Josh six. Interesting. I didn't even, I didn't know we still had a podcast for you.
Starting point is 01:31:34 So, I mean, the answer to that is maybe. Now Josh, he's going to take him down. Way to go. Yeah. No,
Starting point is 01:31:39 I don't know. I mean, I have access to it somewhere. Bill, you definitely need the Smith Lord on the tournament for any Star Wars questions. She was never great a trivia.
Starting point is 01:31:47 She'll tell you that herself. And she lives in London now. Yeah. Ron H. Sorry, I'm late. People who are not making a pilot have to get other things done. Groceries,
Starting point is 01:31:55 exercise, putting on pants. I wish I was vaping more. Well, Ron, same thing with you man if you're going to put any I'll highlight all your damn question all your shit today to do you know whatever you want to say just you know if you want to go instead of throwing that in there throw it into the
Starting point is 01:32:08 campaign because we're trying to build out at least trying to get to where is it 160 hopefully 160 would great by the time we get to that meeting today um yeah
Starting point is 01:32:22 red carpet talk Sam and drake over his baby on his hands down an important shmodeau moment which is why the discourse hosting a watch-along for it today. Is it a... Perfect segue. Is it a Shmodeown moment because of the match or is there something else that I didn't miss?
Starting point is 01:32:36 It might be something else. There's something else? I think two premieres and they did so well together. That could definitely be it. I just wonder why. If Frankie Numbers is listening to this, well, I guess you don't have the matches anymore. And Draco told me after our team's match,
Starting point is 01:32:50 although we lost and we lost an OT or like at the very end. And Draco said in all of his years being on teams, it was his tied. for us or maybe it beat the highest score he ever got as a team and i was always i felt really honored because he had a great yeah he had such a good right teammates yeah yeah blaine what do you all think about dams and edges for blade it'd be good put him in midnight suns and solmov's i that might that might be a thing because he was close to uh black panther that might be a thing steward blackie six seven seven one hello putting in my tier now thank you steward really excited for you in your show i've been
Starting point is 01:33:22 watching ted last one it's great to see people fulfill their dream with a great community supporting them hashtag trending this i mean this has been the thing this has been the thing of you guys just being super supportive and being there for me and it's it's the community has come out and then something i mean shit man even like i said we're even if we don't hit 160 we're pretty damn close to 160 and you know hopefully we hit it by the end of the day which would be amazing to which rick jones then says 60 on day two is pretty incredible it is you know it really is sure Joseph Ash, are the shoes sold out? Well, I know that Craig had put three more on there.
Starting point is 01:34:01 I don't know. I don't think anybody's got, maybe they did. Pieldy, can you check and see if anybody, you can't check? Okay. Sam just said, I'm ready to F stuff up as a manager, by the way. She's ready. hilarious. Ben Hart.
Starting point is 01:34:17 Christian, just a thought, are you able to take all the super chat money and just pour it into our show? Thanks for all you're doing. No, unfortunately, because it goes all the way. through with um you know it goes it combines into the ad sense of it so i'd have to like go through and say okay that one can and then what percentage of it does did youtube take out of it and that it's it's complicated if i do it that way but it's it's it's a lot it's easier to say you know i'm just highlighting all your stuff and if you were going to put a super chat in today just oh i was going to put an extra i was going to do a four dollar a five dollar super chat today
Starting point is 01:34:49 we'll put it up just do it smet's it just yeah i just i just i tested that out just to see and i didn't even know you can do a but i thought i was just going to readjust my original but yeah there's a bonus part now yeah um you schmitsu smetz is the best he is smetz is the best great game just trained today thanks shoddy thank you sir this christina appeal box i assume no mason no i don't but i should probably get one people have asked love you kevin thank you hendry i think this is probably oh geez i love you guys too thank you yeah a lot of that a lot of see um yeah just at least the chat loves me well there was five in there jo there was five in there and now there's three so total of eight. Three left. Yeah, because they're exclusive.
Starting point is 01:35:28 Question to Kevin Smith, he did not. I still want my Sam and Hollywood reaction. You're going to get that. That was promised to you. You'll get that. Hope you like it. If not, maybe Toked and rewatch could help. You'll get it. Pascall, you can't click on the add-on to add a shirt or in the sneakers unless that opens it up when you put your donation in. Let me see. Off the, I'll have to see. What, uh, what he's right now we're 158-675 guys.
Starting point is 01:35:53 so we're not too far away from 159. Should, I'll be happy when we get 159 by the time we get out of here. That'd be amazing. Grand Master Chota, Hey, Christian, your anesthesiologist pal who has a crush on Rocks, but you're 2,500 on the campaign. Thank you so much, man.
Starting point is 01:36:08 Nice being a single black with no kids, no wife. I love you, brother. That's very nice of you. And that is, what happened to Pelelele's laughing his ass off. A text from Brandon Hannah, that's all. Oh, okay. Brandon Hannah's challenging still. Right. Well, listen, he's, let's see what, what, I wanted to say that was really, really nice, Grandmaster Chota. Super. I mean, what, what a generous, generous donation that is to. And so many, so many you guys put in, and I said this yesterday, I'll say it again, from $2 to $2. It's like so, it's, it's, it's so generous and so kind. And the fact that people just want to help, it doesn't, it doesn't get, um, I noticed. And I really appreciate it. But,
Starting point is 01:36:53 2,500, man, that's really, really awesome. Thank you so much for that. Fresh rate name. Just got a pair of the sneakers. There you go. Are they gone already? I wonder. So, yes. So Craig said, yes, you can only add them to your back or tier.
Starting point is 01:37:09 That's what he said. So 158-735. How about that? King Davidson. Christian, you should get some horror movie reactions for spooky season, maybe the Halloween movies. I just got to say, who's done them? I'll get Tina back in here.
Starting point is 01:37:22 the cinema kid christian did you see the norm doc trailer coming soon by judd apatow i didn't but i'll watch it because i loved norm i didn't know judd was doing that i make sense yeah it makes sense a soul since he's not here i'd like to proudly report not only did coner moll a shot gun on a beer he did it three times last night after the live stream that tracks that makes a lot of sense um okay let's see oh so grandmaster chuddle also finished and said i plan on matching that donation again this afternoon. Holy moly. Wow. I mean, that's thank you, man. That's yeah, super thank you. So you're going to up to a different producer tier with that then, which is incredible. And that, I mean, that would shit, man, thank you. That would push us way over the,
Starting point is 01:38:08 that would push us to, to just run to 160. So shit, man, thank you so much. That's, that's incredible. Thank you, Grand Master Chota. Um, I don't think I'm ever going to use to it. Go pal, why are all the Madame Webb's villains lines overdugged? Because the movie stinks. Joseph Ashley, Builder Bear, $16 to $60, and plus she is 128. I don't know if Builder Bear will include the balls, but like this Kickstarter, I could believe it will happen.
Starting point is 01:38:36 We might have to do something outside of the Kickstarter once this is all over about because people have been asking about Big Ball stuff, but I just don't know if anybody, I mean, I just feel there's going to be like 15 people. I don't know. Ray, does anybody still say Smog the Dragon, or am I the only old guy here, influenced, by the cartoon, maybe. Soundwave. I'm so excited. This is about 16th, 30, still on the table.
Starting point is 01:38:57 It is after such a great first day showing I'm confident. We're gonna smash the goal of 350 for the rest of the campaign. Hashtag trending. Thank you, Soundwave. That's the hope. That's the goal. We can do that. You have another 30 days too. I mean, I know we're trying to get the seven, first it was the first day and now the seven days. But like, you know, at the end of 30 days, we're gonna see really like, it's gonna be incredible, I think.
Starting point is 01:39:20 I mean, I'm very curious to see what those two other live streams will do as well, right? So when we're there and we're launching it, we're going for, we'll call it number two out of the three. And we'll see what we can do for, and it's not going to have the same effect that the first one did, obviously, but we're still going to, we're going to have some cool guests and other things too. And then, you know, I did have enough food and water that helped me out. So that was good. Ronnie, is getting real, sometimes lost alone, away from loved ones and asking big questions. What do I do now? We'll love being my life again.
Starting point is 01:39:47 Where's my name? Who am I to liquid soap and what? I want answers. I like the way you wrote that. It started out with like, oh, this is getting dark. Then it got a little bit silly. I like that. But hang in there, man. You got to hang in there. You got to stay. And what's going on with the car, by the way? Joseph Ashley, what happened to Parker, the one that looked like Ralphie from Christmas story? Oh, man. I don't really look like Ralphie. He was,
Starting point is 01:40:07 he was a dominant, dominant player, man. He just, you know, the thing with him is my ass once for the title, right? Yeah, I got it back at the finale, which I feel good. I always got a win back from everyone who beat me. Yeah, yeah. Him and Chondru are both the ones that TKO'd. Like, I think Chandra Tko'd, maybe. I mean, they both woke me. I just remember when he came in and everyone thought he was going to be like just
Starting point is 01:40:27 unstoppable. And he, you know, the Shmowdown really a lot of times just said, no, we don't want you to be unstoppable yet. You got to, and then I still think that his match against Chalinowski is one of the best matches, like, ever and reaction ever. It was such a great thing. And he got, Parker was so pissed at the, about the, I can't remember what the call was. but there was some kind of,
Starting point is 01:40:50 there's something that happened with PJ or something. I can't remember. What was it? I remember it. It was black widow. It was because it was too recent a movie, but like it was like it was one of those kind of like tricky questions. When did it come out?
Starting point is 01:41:01 Oh, he said it wouldn't be on the, the questions. Yeah. Yeah. And I think my ruling afterwards was like, we shouldn't be talking about the writers to the writers anyway, but I can't remember whatever it was. But,
Starting point is 01:41:11 but yeah, he tried to challenge why it was the area. I can remember. That's one of the reasons why, you know, Mike is the, I'm not going to lie. You're right when you think his accolades and, you know, he beat the unbeatable.
Starting point is 01:41:24 No one thought he would beat Chandraoo too at the, uh, um, uh, stumb and villainy. And he did it. So, well, his, his, his match that he got very lucky and escaped from was the, the battle he had with Amaro. That was close. That was crazy. Amur was winning that whole match. And then Mike came back and somehow came back and won it in like, like,
Starting point is 01:41:48 But he, he, he, it was, it looked like it was over. It looked like, in a good analogy for Mike, because he played Indiana Jones. Indiana Jones always won his fights, but he would come back and have all those cuts and nerves. Like he always escapes by, you know what I mean? Yeah. Zeeby.
Starting point is 01:42:03 On the other hand, Mike likes to play the oppressed underdog. It's true. He, he was underdog many times. Rob McDonald's question, who was the second unit director of Captain America's Civil War? That won't never be asked. Ray Domingas, who's the stunt Quarerator for The Matrix? No.
Starting point is 01:42:18 These guys are having... Ray to me, is Krispy Pizzeria overrated. Actually, the answer is both. It's true. It's both. The answers are the same for both questions. It's Stilisky and Leach. Oh, okay. So, you know, I've never had Krispy Pizzeria?
Starting point is 01:42:36 I've heard good things about it, but I've never, I've never had it. Is it from Krispy Kreme people? He's spelled it. No, no, no, no. It's, but it is spelled that way. Sam, were A-24 movies ever considered as a wheelie? slice. They would be now. Yeah. They actually, I think they were for the last season bound that we actually already used to it. Yeah. It's what it was. It would be now. I think Black Samma
Starting point is 01:42:53 was also Will Sliced. They were. Yes, they were. Yeah, those are both, those were all slices. Kermuda and female directors. They're all slices. Yeah. Does Craig know of Brett? I don't think Craig knows of Brett. No, is Martini know of Roxy. She, Martini knows. Roxie, yeah. And Kate, since she's a kind of mixed one. Oh, Kate, she definitely knows because she's performed with Kate.
Starting point is 01:43:15 and she has also hired Kate back when we did current TV Kate used to do like things with us so she's very aware of Kate Muldgin. Big Gil Studios, Smet's question comments sorry if this was seen but Smet's thanks for the kind of words and for this. Oh yeah, yeah, thanks for reminding me.
Starting point is 01:43:32 Yeah, I, he had talked about you talked about how he had like a small up and coming channel and said not to give up and I went to his channel. This is why I love this guy or girl. I don't know who it is, but like they just do all these movies. And they're like trailers for movies, but it's not and not like I use AI, so I'm not anti-AI, but they're not using AI, man. They're shooting this like cameras and like they have movie shows. They have these own superheroes and their whole like cinematic universe.
Starting point is 01:43:55 I just someone, it's near them. You start to it. That's awesome. Yeah. So I subscribed. Way to go. Anthony Mizano. A question for you both.
Starting point is 01:44:02 What is the obsession with fans of DC forcing Robert's Batman? Robert, uh, in Pattinson into the DC universe when his Batman really doesn't fit, but it seems James Gunn is doing with DCU. I think that it's not necessarily. the obsession side of it is it is the overall continuing debate on this channel about the confusion of when are you going to actually put in your own Batman when you have this Batman coming out and you're going to have two competing Batman back and forth because it's hard enough to get the casual audience out to see movies in general and if they go and see Pattinson's Batman and then your Batman comes out five six months later um then they're like well why am I seeing
Starting point is 01:44:39 a second Batman and you're going to confuse the audience and even if even if you wait another year It's like, is that too long to wait for the DCU Batman? So it's just, it's just people, I think, come up with the idea of, like, just combine them. Can we do a spoiler tag real quick from the lantern's newest episode? I think now, people who are hoping that the Reeves universe is going to combine it. There's a plot point. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let's get the spoiler up there first before you.
Starting point is 01:45:03 Do you know what I'm about to say? No, but I want, there you go. Okay. Okay, and I'll give it a little more buffer. It's the newest lanterns episode. There's like a lantern thing in the sky. And did I read this or hear this? or here is wrong, that the guy or someone says, oh, Batman made that for him.
Starting point is 01:45:19 Oh, did he say that? Yeah, I feel like he was like, could you believe that Batman made this shining thing in the sky for that's what, there's a throw in line. Chat can correct me. Maybe I read it wrong, but I heard it's, it's, he's like, could you believe bat or that got, the bat in Gotham actually made him a skylight for the, the green lantern. So that's green lantern and skylight. Oh, I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:45:38 I didn't hear that. If that's the case, there's no Matt Reeves bat. Let's Pattinson didn't do that. No. Or did guy copy. Oh, he said guy copied Batman. Maybe, maybe make sure I don't want to be, be holding to me because I was kind of watching it while I was, but I thought I heard, you know, he said the bat guy in Gotham, right? Or ripped off the bat guy.
Starting point is 01:45:58 Okay. All right. Well, either way. Either way. Either way, we still, still said it. So, hey, by the way, guys, currently right now, we're, we are only about $157 away from $150,000. So that's pretty good. Yeah, we're getting close.
Starting point is 01:46:18 Pretty good. Yeah. So if he said he copied the bat guy, then you could still, essentially, he could be aware of all those events in the Reeves, Batman movies, and he just copied him. But I guess I, yeah. Ron, I tell me, I'm a pledge already, but if I can free up more funds, will increase my tier. Yeah, then no problem at all. That's what I'm saying. So don't worry about putting more super chats in here.
Starting point is 01:46:36 The Brain Machine. Hey, Christian and Smash. I pledged to the creative circle tier yesterday. I hope you can have some people in attendance for Shmodown tapings. Shmodon's best with an audience. So happy for, I think that might be, we're still talking, you know, we have ideas for stretch goals and stuff too. So I'll keep you updated on that one.
Starting point is 01:46:53 Got the master class here yesterday. So excited. Thank Crystal. All you get to finally meet Crystal. That's awesome. That's amazing. So many people have kind of signed up to that too. And once again, if you don't know and you haven't seen it and you weren't on the live
Starting point is 01:47:05 stream yesterday and you want to check out what we got going on. How long have you said? I want to start a YouTube channel. and then you just haven't done it. Maybe you don't know what the channel is going to be about. Maybe you're thinking about equipment. Maybe you're thinking about thumbnails. Maybe you're thinking about titles.
Starting point is 01:47:18 What is your first video even going to be about? And eventually you spent so much time trying to figure everything out that you actually never even hit that report button. And that's why I created this 40-day creator challenge. I spent years building various YouTube channels, making content, hosting shows, doing interviews, and learning what works. And most importantly, making a lot of mistakes along the way. So over the course of 40 days, I'm going to have. to help you find you. Build your channel, figure out your equipment, get comfortable on camera, create thumbnails and titles, understand analytics, and actually publish your videos.
Starting point is 01:47:52 You know, this isn't something where I want you sitting around to just watch hours and hours of lessons. You're going to have something to actually do. You're not going to spend 40 days learning how to become a YouTuber. You're going to spend 40 days becoming it. So if you're waiting to finally start your YouTube channel, this is it. This is the right time. Join me for the 40-day creator challenge and let's build the channel together come on we'll have a blast you did it again you you end your thing on a high note i love it um so and currently 158 843 um and you guys are just kicking ass and yeah thank you're making me feel good here i don't i don't want to be a hindrance you're not blaine wife was asking for a dice and blow dryer i said sorry christmas get my money this month
Starting point is 01:48:35 stick your head out the window. That's good. Thank you, Blaine. Mike Muda. Smet's question, what was the very first Marvel character to have their own movie? Ever?
Starting point is 01:48:48 Howard the Duck. And I don't count those cereals. I know they had serials of, Captain America. Captain America in 1944. Yeah, but no, I mean, Howard the Duck is the major. Unless you order the old Japanese Spider-Man movie, though, too.
Starting point is 01:49:01 Yeah. That's a trick question. Yeah. I go, how is a duck. wave chronicles. FY, you can update your pledge and choose add-ins from there. Yes, you can. Yes.
Starting point is 01:49:10 Christian, I just changed my pledge to 70. Thank you, slippers. I do feel like some people in the chat just aren't familiar with the Smasher. My, and although I remember a tweet I sent Mike before Don't Tell Peter match, and I compared, this is the, this is how the Hubris brought down the smasher that summer. I sent him, Mike, or Frankie Numbers sent me the stats.
Starting point is 01:49:30 And I had only missed like in my first three matches or my first two matches. or my first two matches to get to him, I'd only miss like two questions. My percentage was like 97%. And then I compared it to his percentage. And I was like, you know, oh, the math says I'm going to, whatever. I said something stupid, you know, in the thing.
Starting point is 01:49:45 But, you know, sometimes it doesn't matter when those lights hit. You know, I say don't tell Peter. All those stats are out the window. But I was very, my run, I was very, I wasn't missing a lot. So just got to get back to there. Yep. Mike Joyce, someone posted on social media, They burned the roof of their mouth off with too hot sweet potato.
Starting point is 01:50:06 Yuck. What's the worst food injury you've gotten? Oh, man. I'm going to know. I don't remember. Food injury? Food injury? Maybe you ate a hot dog and you fell down the stairs.
Starting point is 01:50:16 Right. I don't know. I don't know. Food injury. I can't even think of anything. It's not to say it doesn't have one. I just, it doesn't,
Starting point is 01:50:22 and nothing really comes to mind. Do you? No, I mean, I don't know. I've never, thankfully I've been, oh,
Starting point is 01:50:29 you know what? I was at Disneyland once and I was eating a meal and a leaf fell on my head. It was like a big leaf and it smacked me right. It was a windy day and it smacked me right in the head. That's hilarious. Did I, well, you know what? I forgot to do by the way yesterday. I completely forgot about this too because we could say that, you know, I said maybe we could set a goal. Have you, you haven't seen this either. So I played this picture, this one here and this one. And that's from this short. I'm going to see. I'm going to play just the beginning. not bad, which I play again.
Starting point is 01:51:05 And then I'll play the beginning. And maybe we'll set a goal today that we'll play the whole thing today. Let me see if I can find it. Because this is completely your type of thing. You'd love it. Where is it? There it is. My name is Blaine Johnson.
Starting point is 01:52:16 My name is Blaine Johnson. So that whole thing, I think. that whole thing i'll tell you what if we get to right now or 158 843 if we get to 160 i'll play that whole thing right right now and i've never played that ever i'll play that whole thing if we get to once we're 1508 878 so if we get to 160 i will play that entire thing um all right next one stayed up until 2 a m last night to catch up with the whole stream was laughing my ass off around midnight martini's poor quality video and you guys viving her quality view was terrible and freed just the freed messing with her was amazing yeah
Starting point is 01:52:54 lit her up that was fine yeah can't wait for our show to hit the goal thank you zeke same same i look that hat by the way really cool uh and thank you for staying up to watch out by the big tea i'm surprised we haven't heard from step for a while i know she got bud but yeah i actually was texting with step the other day i just need to it's it's just getting the virtual reactions back uh on track ryan oh 158 913 so now we're not too far away from showing heart of a champion. We're about just 158, 913. So if we get to, you know, what's that about $87 to get to $159?
Starting point is 01:53:31 And then so about $1,087, then we'll show heart of the champion if we get it. Bill, we'd love to see an end. Wait, you skip one because I have a question for you on that. Oh, Ryan, Philly. I'm so excited for potential snowdown return. Any chance, Ben Bateman returns. There's always a chance anybody can return. Did you, well, I guess you can't say it.
Starting point is 01:53:48 on the record. Did you call him yet? Talk to him. Only, there's always a chance that anybody can return. There's no, there's no way he doesn't,
Starting point is 01:53:55 he misses this. There's always a chance that anybody can. Andrew Guy, come on. Always a chance that anyone can't return. Those two, you know what we should do? I did it with them.
Starting point is 01:54:07 Wait, let's, we got to, we got to move forward this. We have, because we're going to say, we did a century club on their stream once. You should do a century club.
Starting point is 01:54:13 Oh, yeah, should. To raise money for your thing. I would love to see an AI develop, big balls animated short series. Who knows? Grandmaster Chota. Of course, Christian, your stream's got me through med school and well into my medical career. At least I can do is pay it forward.
Starting point is 01:54:25 That's what Kevin was saying, and I really appreciate that you even say something like that. Big fan of the show. Keep doing you, man. Thank you, brother. Really appreciate that. Very nice and very kind of you. I really mean it. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:54:37 Great chemistry with you and Martini. How much improvisation do you think we'll find its way into the script, says Sean McCabe. I feel like a bunch. I think we're going to play. I think there's going to be takes where Andrew just lets us play. and we'll see what what makes it into the you know the finished cut for sure could you simulcast the next 10 hour live stream on the kickstarter page next time i wonder if that will help new bring new people in that's a good question for craig oh wow great question actually
Starting point is 01:55:01 a k dority thought about it and i'm upping to walk on roll this weekend nice dude nice amazing amazing i look forward to meeting you again who's already coming into to but i that's cool yeah that's really cool thank you aka aka is a super super super super supporter. Didn't realize it doesn't charge you until the end. Oh yeah. Put my 25 in right away. Whoa. Look at. That beefed up big there, Kevin. 159. We're now we're only, we're less than 700 away from showing Heart of a Champion. I would, I have a hard out at like probably 1115. How long is champion? Okay. Hard of a champion is only, um, I want to see it. Yeah, hold on. Let me bring it back in here. Hold on. Let's say. Bring it up. Uh, how long is it?
Starting point is 01:55:47 it can't be more than like 10 minutes I think it's only 10 minutes now ever since I was a little guy I've wanted to not what I wanted to do I might have to leave it any moment after 11th oh man all right so let's see well I can not to be a bus kill you play
Starting point is 01:56:07 no but I can always play for them you can watch it later okay let's see who has the best record in MTS to never win a title I mean I never win a title at all or a singles title If it's ever, if it's, if it's a singles title, Rachel and Clark got to be up there as far as things as they get close. Griffin Newman had a pretty good record too. But Rachel had IG belt though, so.
Starting point is 01:56:29 That's what I'm saying. Like what title and she had the team and they both had the team's championship. So I don't know about that. That's really good. If no title, I would bet the Barbarian. Barbarian also. He got close too a couple times too. Lord Monk, if you get to make a season,
Starting point is 01:56:44 who would be your top three podcast podcast? had podcast guest for the show, would you improv at that point of scripted? They would be interviewing everybody from actors to actresses to athletes, to politicians, to everything. So I don't know, there's a long list, and it just depends on where the story navigates. So I can't really say yet who would be the, because maybe one of the actors who have in mind would actually be better as a character. So I don't know yet about that, but there'd be a lot of a great gas, and it would change
Starting point is 01:57:11 because they get shit guests in the beginning. And then once the show gets popular, they could get more guests. I just up my pledge on Herds Irons Incorporated from 100 to 125. Looking forward to seeing my name in those credits. Hell yeah. And you will. 159-251. Now, Smetzy, we're like just around 749 away from getting, from getting heart of a champion for people.
Starting point is 01:57:37 And I'll show that. Yesterday, the master class was at 17 people or 28 now. Can't wait. Yeah, we're getting people. Yep. Christian, are you doing a reaction to paper tiger trailer? driver killing as usual probably not i mean those that's one i'll probably want to see in the theater play yeah does smet have anyone he thinks would be the favorite of the announced showdown competitors
Starting point is 01:57:55 just ben says yeah who out of the people that have been announced so far who do you think has the best chance of winning oh uh well a lot of these guys are rusty dan merle doesn't i know he says he's going to be rusty but he's been doing his youtube channel he's been tracking all the uh the box office he has that show about the box office um who are the other ones let's see marisola mckee she's got to be up there. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Adam Collins and Bibiani and Draco, Roca, Carr. And Draco just lived, like, when I trained to them for our teams, I was so impressed by him. He just knows so much, like, without having to study almost, you know?
Starting point is 01:58:32 I would say Bibbs and Draco, Merle and Marisol could be an easy final four out of that. And I mean, yeah, I mean, Roka, too. But Roka is even saying unless he's kind of just like low playing it. you know yeah he's gonna be rusty and stuff but he does a show he does geek buddies all the time like you know rohan about the fourth round uh right get out of here uh rob macdonald speaking of batman have you guys seen the snider report of mason teams being cast as night wean and dynamite du and chris pine being offered batman i did see that i did see the voices yeah well yeah and then but his pine yeah i wonder in general how that will play uh mike mudros if our show gets a full season
Starting point is 01:59:12 and our budget has freedom. Would your character interview late night show hosts like Leno and others? Would you interview Tim Allen? I mean, these are all hypotheticals, right, Mike? I'm not sure. I mean,
Starting point is 01:59:20 it just depends on how it all pans out with where the characters go and who they're able to do and who we have access to. Okay. What a good decision that would be if that happens. Now we also know why Kristen's little death metal. Yeah, totally. Dibbles. Just FY the update says we're at 158K right now,
Starting point is 01:59:39 and we think we can get to 200k in the next 24 hours, but everyone else it says by September 29. What's that mean? The update. It says we're the text on the update. Yeah, but isn't that, but that's, yeah, we think we can get to 200 in the next 24 hours, which we believe. I think he's saying it intimates that.
Starting point is 01:59:59 It's not the goal that the goals of the next 24 hours and not. No, he's just saying, I think that what Craig is just saying is that we believe we can get to 200K in the next 24 hours. I don't, I don't understand. I have to look at it. Um, so dice meets the rock. Yes, kind of. In that, in that character?
Starting point is 02:00:18 Yeah, kind of. Uh, can Harleff do a Gary Owen impression? He's starting to look like him. Who's Gary Owen? I always like, who's Gary Owen? I look like Gary Owen. Who's Gary Owen?
Starting point is 02:00:30 The fuck are you talking about. I'm like Gary Owen. Uh, red carpet. There's a typo and the latest Kickstarter update Schmodo. What's the typo? So I don't know what the type is. You got to read it again. Schmored out.
Starting point is 02:00:41 Is that what it says? Read her thing. If Sam's a question says up. Can anyone, anyone can return Christian? Anyone as in you? No, I'll be there announcing. That's what I meant. Shottie, if you don't want to change your tier of a pledge more money to Kickstarter,
Starting point is 02:01:00 go to manage your pledge on the next screen. Click, change your pledge. Next screen will have a bonus support box to give more. There go. Do you know that Sam Levine and I used to talk about it? And we really, I think we pitch it to you once and you were like, no way. He wanted, because Sam just says he's so bad at IG. And it was during the level of IG questions we had when we were training.
Starting point is 02:01:20 And he was like, he was like, would you do a match with me for Patreon where he would have, he would be given. He said he would have an IG match with me only if he was given like a 15 point lead and if I could come back and win it. Or maybe it was a 12 point lead. And I was down to do it. He was so convinced that I would come back and win. I think 12 points is really hard to come back from, but that would be fun. first rate got another pair of sneakers you can have the other pair oh it's nice but you know but that's okay if somebody else wants them i'd like to donate to them neat because i i that's that's that's i i've been
Starting point is 02:01:49 i was holding off because there's other people wanted them but um but that's very nice one 159 um 211 so we are less than 800 away now from uh from um my name is what's his name what is it your name he says my name Oh, Blaine Johnson. And Drake ever win a title? I feel like a team's titles. Teams. Teams. Yeah, a couple times.
Starting point is 02:02:15 He, man, I loved. I learned, in those like a couple weeks training with him, I learned so much. Yeah. And like, he helped me. Like I did the slice for, um, all of, no, I forget the slice now. Stephen King. And I got a great hole in the second round that like even shocked him or in the third round. I mean, whatever.
Starting point is 02:02:34 Anthony Colson. How many spots are left in the 16 person attorney? Bateman, Sam and Rachel. from being perfect. There's a lot of spots left, for sure. Begill, do you guys think that Daredevil being canceled as a sign that Marvel is slowly backing away from shows? It looks like they're being selective, way more selective in the way that Star Wars is. Ravenous Shirley, support. Thank you, Ravenous. But at least we know ahead of time, right? So they're going to wrap up this season, or is it already when they're in post? I think they're in post already.
Starting point is 02:02:57 They're in post. Fiona George, happy things went well for you yesterday, Christian. Thank you, Fiona, and happy you guys were all there for it. Gary Busey for a podcast guest, Johnny, I couldn't do it. I know the strength. Ron Affiliioliette, will the Patriots return? I remember being 14 watching the Schmodeown and hating them. Heard shipping up to Boston in the bar the other day and it was instantly brought back to that era. I loved to hate them. They were the most hated team ever, ever.
Starting point is 02:03:18 But they were so good. That's what made them so good. They were great. I love. Their run is just starting on season three right now. They just beat team heroes and now they're going into the spectacular for a title shot. Haskell. Ari the Schmodown update on cast.
Starting point is 02:03:34 the typo is is it still there let me see it so I'm fucking trying to manage everything else here hold on a second let's say uh da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-a-da-a-a-a- okay all right let's see so now ravenous surely when your series becomes successful in the series
Starting point is 02:03:56 ends would you continue to make another series and maybe write a feature film I say never say never on that stuff too right like I'm for me it's I want to tell this story that's first and foremost and I never know what kind of opportunities will come what other ideas might happen um so never say never but like my idea is to tell this story tell this story for between five and six seasons and then you know just uh have a podcast and chill out and then retire mike mudra here's a quick smet's question what was the first pixar movie to be in theaters well that's that one i know you know toys the first toys yeah
Starting point is 02:04:27 yeah i remember watching that as a kid i remember the uh the lamp it was a short so maybe if he's trying to do a trick question it was before that short played before something but yeah maybe but no the feature film is uh roachsmith would you ever entertain a team turning as a stretch goal maybe at the five and not not right now i don't have i don't have the time or bandwidth to do that i think it's going to be if if the if the shiny i call it shiny floor shows if the live event gets taped and it's success and the tournament's success once or twice a year moving forward it's like it's like it's what we did initially season one that's what's season one in the season two. That's what we did. That's how
Starting point is 02:05:07 it's maybe a free for all thrown in the middle. One of my favorite ones ever was Lon Harris beating Sam Levine three times straight on settle the score. Sam got so mad. I got to watch that. Is shipping up the boss the most disappointing song ever as far as great and to follow by media good body as maybe. Maybe.
Starting point is 02:05:25 Giving it until someone's asking me a question. What is it? We are in September. A lot of suspense. Is that Sebastian stands in the comments. Somebody else. Okay. A lot of those comments. I get that all the time, especially when the movies come out.
Starting point is 02:05:40 159, 261. I'll tell you what, Sam, that's because you're about to leave. So I'll tell us, if somebody makes a donation right now, if we get to 159,500, I'll play, I'll play the heart of a chamber of everybody before Smets leaves. And then we'll call it a day.
Starting point is 02:05:57 But right now, we are at 159, 261. We just need, so that would be then about, yeah, less than 300 bucks. And then we get, and we get 159, 500, and then I'll play it. So Kevin can say it. It's right up your alley. You'll, do you remember Johnny LaCosto, right? Yeah, I remember him.
Starting point is 02:06:20 Johnny was, you know, because we used to do stand-up together. And John was like, every time I said, because the name of the character, well, I don't want to tell you the name of the character yet, because Blaine Johnson is his real name. It's not his wrestler or stand-up comedy name. And when you hear the tag phrase, you have, you ever. haven't seen, have you seen it yet, Pieldy? You've seen the whole thing? Yeah, you show us me.
Starting point is 02:06:38 Okay, Pildi, you know his real, his wrestler name. Yes. The wrestling is amazing. I want to, I'd actually like to get wrestler, his wrestling short, the name of his character would be very, his catchphrase. Oh, yeah. I'm looking, I'm refreshing. We'll see him.
Starting point is 02:06:53 We can do it. You might, you might be shit out of luck here, co. But let's do this. I'm looking at some of the comments. Are there anything else coming in? No. Kev, so where can the good people find you while we wait and see if there's maybe there's a last Helm area?
Starting point is 02:07:09 You still have where to find Smets. It's so hard to say everything, PLD. I really not load that in. It's always in my folder. But you could find me on at Kev Smets on Instagram and good old X platform. I don't really treat too much about that. But then I also have a Stomaversity channel that, you know, we're trying to show and spread good vibes out there about people who have colostomies or stomas or are.
Starting point is 02:07:33 dealing with a surgery coming up or if they have cancer or are they dealing with cancer or they had cancer. There's a lot of things about cancer survivors guilt that happens. And so I'm just trying to spread the word there. That's stomaversity on YouTube and you can also find that on TikTok too. Okay. All right. Let's see. So the hell with it, Kevin, I'm in a good mood. I'll show it to you. Right. Yeah, let's see it. Because I don't want you to leave. I'll meet my mic. Well, because I just want you to see. I think you know, a professional wrestler. I dreamed of becoming the bastard. I thought of...
Starting point is 02:08:07 Hey! What are you looking at? Oh, yeah, it's still good. Come here. What the hell? The hell? You just got cold clock and dropped by the bastard. So, I picked up on I left Long Island.
Starting point is 02:08:23 That's where I'm from. I came out to Los Angeles. Because that's where I can get discovered as the bastard. That's where people need to see. The bastard. My parents, they're all for it. They're very supportive. He comes down to it with their good people. And there's my little brother Howie.
Starting point is 02:08:42 It's a great kid. And he loved to wrestle. It's a pile driver. A head slam. The small package torture rack. The chinny grinder or the neck snap. One of my own personal moves. You see that right there?
Starting point is 02:09:02 Now that, that's real pain. So, Alie, tell us about the bastard. The bastard? Is that your name now? It fits. No, we're not talking about me, Howie. We're talking about the bastard. You are the bastard, and the bastard is you. And I hate you and him and whoever.
Starting point is 02:09:24 I'm not going to sit here and talk to you about you and the third person you're in a foothold. What's my name, Harry? What's my name, Harry? The bastard. What is it? That's the bastard. Don't swear. Tell them.
Starting point is 02:09:36 Who am I? What? The bastard! That's right. The bastard. Everyone knows the bastard. Right? Tell him one more time.
Starting point is 02:09:43 Say it. The bastard! How he's a teacher now. That's a shame. How he could have been. How he could have been one of the best. The bastard? Is that what he's called himself?
Starting point is 02:09:58 The retard. He should call a retard. I've seen this guy. I've seen him when he glenn. up something he was a little bastard who was going in fact i used to say that's probably where he got it i used to say hey you little bastard why don't you grow up i always just said you're little bastard shut up shut up calm down like you always have a nice kid a nice kid um but always always a pain the ass all the eyes the eyes of your soul as they say uh if you look at his his window his
Starting point is 02:10:28 his eyes, his window, you'll see a crack. His dad used to whack him good. His dad used to whack him good. And I said, well, whack him, because he's going to go up a little stonard. You know, whack him. Get him now while he's still impressionable, you know. And the father used to whack him. And I never saw a kid seem to enjoy it.
Starting point is 02:10:48 He seemed to enjoy it. We got wax. That's not punishing a kid when he likes it. I always knew I had talent. I always knew why I had the talent. I just didn't always know what to do with it. So I tried one of those fight nights. Except they told me I had to box.
Starting point is 02:11:10 So I tried. But that's not my thing. I'm a wrestler. That's what I do. The bastard was born to wrestle. Now this guy found out the hard way. You see that? The crowd loved it.
Starting point is 02:11:27 But they told me never to come back again. They didn't get it. So I was going to let that break me down, because nothing breaks the bastard down. You hear me, nothing breaks the bastard down. It was time to come out here. It was time to come out here and do some training. Some hard, hardcore bastard training. I started with the basics.
Starting point is 02:11:44 Jump rope. Push-ups. Sit-ups. The jumping jacks. The chops. And then the intangibles. The chair shots. Lots of chair shots. The Irish Whips.
Starting point is 02:12:14 And because we didn't have a kendo stick, riffle ball bat shots. Lots of wiffleball bat shots. Now I've been training the bastard for six months now, and he's a goddamn animal. I mean, I don't think I've ever seen another human. you and take that kind of punishment. It's unbelievable.
Starting point is 02:12:35 Now I understand that wrestling's more than just beating ass. Like, beating ass is fun, but wrestling is more than that. Wrestling is entertainment. Wrestling is about sports entertainment. And when you have someone like this, the sports is jumping at you. The sports entertainment is the bastard. The bastard is entertainment. Watch it, love it.
Starting point is 02:13:02 Here it comes right at you like a truck. So I started doing open mics. I needed to work on my entertainment skills and my crowd persona. This is all about... I told you. Never come back here, you son of a... Now this putts, he ran the first open mic I ever went to. He just didn't get it. First time I saw a kid, I thought, genius.
Starting point is 02:14:04 You know, so I get him a showcase, I offer my contract. Then I realized, he's not fucking around. He's really nuts. Yeah. You're not going to kill me, are you? Okay, because you are a bastard. He's out there, the bastards, out there, whatever, man, the guy's a genius. You know, okay, he hurts a few people here and there, but, you know, so what?
Starting point is 02:14:34 It's the same with every revolutionary performer. They're all misunderstood at first, and they overcomes obstacles, like language, speech, subject matter. The guy's just taking it to the next level, man. The boy's got it going on. That's all I got to say. Now in case you missed it, that right there is my signature move. That's a headbutt followed by the bastard's clothesline. It took preparation to develop that.
Starting point is 02:15:03 It took skill to develop that. Look at that power. And drop by the best! Now that's tough. So there you have it. You have desire. You have genius and a signature move. Now that's everything that you need to make a WFF champion.
Starting point is 02:15:21 Everything. So Mr. McMahon. Vince. don't you think it's time to let this little guy's dream come true? Wouldn't you say it's time to introduce the bastard? Isn't it time for the world to get cold clocked and dropped by the basting? Do it. Stupid.
Starting point is 02:15:46 You're muted, hold on. You muted me because I was laughing too much. No, no. Yeah, it's funny. Every time you start doing the headbutt. Oh, the head to it. It was funny because that was my, my. But the guy that I headbutted in clotheslined,
Starting point is 02:16:03 it was the one who directed it. And Michael Taylor, and he was such a good guy. And he, he was like, dude, I want you to lay me out. And by the way,
Starting point is 02:16:15 both of those were during actual stand-up comedy performances. Okay. I didn't know if that was all because it was low-lit. I was like, maybe- I want you, because I used to perform it in his show, but not like that. And he said, I want you to dress up as the bastard for this one. And we'll put it in the movie.
Starting point is 02:16:41 But I want you to come up and I want you just grab the mic for me. I don't want the audience to know about it like Andy Kaufman style. And then just drop me on stage. And he goes, but lay me out. He goes, don't. He's like, don't hold back. I go, are you sure? He's like, yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:53 He's like, do the headbutt and do the clothesline and then jump on me. And I'm like, okay. And so I did. And he's like, do my back hurt for like three months. months. And so, you know, like that, we did that whole thing. And that was, the elbow makes me laugh. That's it. The jump on the elbow. So for people who don't know, I don't know if, um, you can see in that one scene when I'm racket. So I don't know if you watch Rogan and I don't, you know what Duncan, you know who Duncan Truzzle is. No. So, well, Duncan trust he's on rogue in all the time. But I, I, I, that's
Starting point is 02:17:19 Duncan that I have in my arms. Yeah. And Duncan, the same thing. Duncan goes, I, I, because Michael's, like, you can't, like, don't look back on anything. He's, don't even acknowledge you have them on your shoulders just drop them and Duncan's like I just drop me and so I had so you'll watch it and I just fall out and then Duncan just falls out and those kid things that's so this is like years and it reminded me of like the John Cena footage of like him as a kid like you were able to that's you as a kid and you were able to incorporate that I was oh yeah yeah so that's that's what my well that's what Michael and I did uh Michael and I looked at some of the old footage that I had the boxing footage was so I ran a boxing league in my in in school and that guy that I fought there was my roommate
Starting point is 02:18:01 at the time and so we played with it because people were like oh they're gonna actually box they're gonna actually fight and we're like I was promoting it so I'm like I'm not gonna actually fight him so we're like you know what we'll do is it was it was on the undercard of like a big fight so I'm like let's play with that we'll box in the first round hyper team I'm just in the second round I just came out and hit him in the head with the box. That made me. That was it. So that was, but by the way, in between that, we are now at 161,266, guys.
Starting point is 02:18:35 We are less, we are less than 19,000 away from achieving the goal. Like six or seven thousand during the stream today. That's great. That's great. So, guys, we're not too far away. from achieving the goal at 161. That's crazy. Mike Mudra, the answer is Lawrence Fishburne.
Starting point is 02:19:01 And I love his voice. All that you know, all that you know is at an end. But the good news, by the way, is that you guys gave me that gift before I went out in a meeting today. So thank you. 161, 266. I'm going to take that into the meeting. If you're watching on the replay and you want to donate. Doug Jones played him, by the way.
Starting point is 02:19:23 But Lawrence Fishburn, sorry, go ahead. I don't, you and Winston are very similar. So, oh, let me say, let's say, Saul, I had it. You had a good headbutt. We got to work on that follow through and targeting on the clothesline. It's a trickier move than people realize that. But you have, no, what you need to realize is that that's, that's not me trying to actually do a real clothesline, Saul.
Starting point is 02:19:45 That's the bastard being an absolute violent imbecile on stage and not knowing what he's doing. Um, you see Saul had he had a whole he sent me a match one time he was in wrestling school. He was a yeah yeah he was back and tire down the aisle or whatnot. Yeah. Sam it's called heart of a champion. Yeah. So that was the first time that uh, I actually really, it was on my space years and years and years ago.
Starting point is 02:20:06 But it hasn't been on, uh, ever that's the first time I've ever showed it on YouTube. Um, all right. Thank you guys very much. Appreciate it. And that's it. Look at that. 161. 266.
Starting point is 02:20:19 What an incredible, incredible day. again, we've already started to have here today. Thank you guys. And look, we're not too far away from the goal now on day two. We're almost there. We're almost reached it on day two. So thank you to Kevin. Thank you to PLD to Luke, to Sam and MK for doing the time codes, to Jonathan.
Starting point is 02:20:38 All that love is really appreciated. And I hope to see a lot of you guys on the eighth, by the way. If you're able to be in, if you're in New York, I'd love to say hello. We'll be there. Thanks again. and we'll see y'all on the flip side i'll be back here tomorrow with chris car is christian oliv's show bye uh i'm just kidding did you shit
