Starting point is 00:00:00 So Marvel, there's a new rumor, man, that the electric state disappointed. We know that's not the rumor, but the rumor is that because of it, Marvel's now worried about the Russo's taken over for the Avengers. Is that true? We're going to dive into it. There's also another big conversation we were going to lead with at first was about Spider-Man, the villain, and who's going to be the villain, the breakdown of it, and how important Spider-Man 4 is, obviously, to the continuation of the MCU. tons of other stories. There's things going on with Daredevil.
Starting point is 00:00:34 There's other news. And we're just happy to be back with you guys here today. Myself, Winston, A. Marshall, it's going to be a good show. Coy's back next week. But Winston and I are going to have a hell of a show. So let's get to it. It's a Christian Arler show. Caps and Cals, everybody.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Here we go. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the show. Caps and Cowles, everybody. is. Myself here, holding down the fort with Winston A. Marshall. What's up, but how you doing?
Starting point is 00:01:24 I'm doing good, man. You know, life is slowly piecing itself back together. One little bit at a time. You just got to keep taking a step. You move forward to the camera setup's good. I like it. Thank you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:39 I'm playing around a little bit with what the backdrop is. Like, if you want to put me full screen, you can kind of see like I got the, you know, I got like some of the old school video games there and stuff like that. I've got some of the, you know, the acting and writing books. Yeah. You know, the Blu-rays. And then I think on this side, as you can see, I've started to put the old school console.
Starting point is 00:01:59 So there's the Super Nintendo and the Nintendo, you know, just playing around. I like it. I like it a lot. Yeah, we were, I saw people already saying, this is some of the loyal viewers. Are we frozen? What's going on here? I said, no, a little late because, hey, I got back just in.
Starting point is 00:02:15 time to start live. But then I saw as I was looking through the stories, there was a new story that broke. And I was like, that to me seems way more of a lead story because it's a conversation that I think we can have. So again, our producer Lou scrambled, made the thumbnail. We updated the story, the title and all that. And we're going to dive into it. So we'll get into that in just a second. But Winston, you know, it's last week, you came back and you wind up when in the week, you beat Brett who came in. So this week you got to do it again you're the last person who has an opportunity to win you want to guess on who's leading the week and by how many i would want to hope that we've gotten back down
Starting point is 00:02:56 the normal numbers in the 100 like like 100 150 but i'm going to guess we're back up at the 300 for some bizarre reason and we're going to say it's brett because they felt bad uh it's not brett and it it was it was roka um but then step and mike came back to when yesterday they're at 93. So that is manageable. It's attainable. That is completely manageable. I am here for it.
Starting point is 00:03:24 All right. Look, I'm going to say this right now. I see the people crack at some jokes real quick about her. That's fine. I need a haircut. So help me win, God damn it. I know. To get a haircut, for sure.
Starting point is 00:03:35 I like it. All right. Let's get into this particular topic. And this is the topic and the rumor coming from comic book movie. Marvel worried about the Avengers Doomsday Secret Wars after the negative Electric State reviews. Plus, the streaming numbers also came in and they were not good. The Electric State has received
Starting point is 00:03:58 overwhelmingly negative reviews since launching on Netflix, and a new rumor suggests that Marvel Studios is now concerned about the Rousseau's helming the next Avengers movie. Marvel Studios is Josh Wilding, by the way. Marvel Studios hasn't had the disastrous few years that some would have you believe, but the Multiverse saga has been undeniably hit and miss. For a time, Kevin Feigy appeared to be going all in on Rick and Morty Raiders shaping the post-Infinity saga MCU. Jeff Loveness was tapped to write Avengers, the Kang Dynasty, while
Starting point is 00:04:31 Michael Waldron looked to take over the Avengers Secret Wars. Fans and critics alike didn't appreciate Lovenness work on Ant Man in the Wasquantamania. Waldron's approach to Scarlet Witch and Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also wasn't well received. We later learned his contributions to Loki season one were overstated. With that, Kevin Feige took a different approach and turned to the Russo brothers. The filmmakers delivered four critical and commercial hits with Captain America, the Winter Soldier, Captain America Civil War, Avengers Infinity War, and Avengers Endgame. They also needed Marvel as much as the studio needed them as their non-MCU work hasn't been hugely successful.
Starting point is 00:05:08 While some AGBO produced features were a success, extraction and everything everywhere, all at once, for example, Joe and Anthony's projects as directors haven't been. Cherry and the gray man drew mixed to negative reviews, but the electric state has been paned. It's got a 15% on rotten tomatoes. Ouch. It's been called slop. Oof. And the official viewing figures is far from a hit for Netflix. While we'd advised taking this with a pinch of salt, Scooper, my time to shine alone,
Starting point is 00:05:38 reported saying that I hear that Fagie and Marvel are now getting worried. after seeing how bad the electric state is and starting to reconsider whether hiring the Rousseau's was a mistake to which they looked and pointed their finger and laughed and said, ha ha ha, too late. They maybe didn't say that, but they should have. Avengers, Doomsday, begins shooting in a matter of weeks with Avengers Secret War set to begin production right after. It's too late to swap the Rousseau's out for anyone else, meaning Marvel Studios has to rely on them to recapture the same magic that they delivered in the previous MCU movies. They'll be joined by Stephen McPhile. he penned both movies at time without regular writing partner Christopher Marcus.
Starting point is 00:06:16 This is a simple fact about opportunity, really, Marcus said. While he, of why he declined in MCU return, oh, he'll be joined. They said they will be joined by Stephen. Steve McPhile. Oh, without. Okay, I see, I see. Okay, so he said when we started, part of the imperative was looking for things to adapt
Starting point is 00:06:35 ideas of her own. And by luck or preference, I wound up with a white, whiteboard full of things, two series books. We had optioned, a spec script. about three or four ideas on a TV pilot that was there to be written. And this was prior to all that Avenger coming on the horizon, but it got to the point where I was like, look, I need to grow these plants so they're going to die.
Starting point is 00:06:52 And Marvel is a very extremely full time. And so I just said, let's just everybody be under the understanding that this is what I'm doing because those movies need a brain on them. They need a guide and I love them. So when it came to the Avengers time, I mean, you don't Avengers part time. You don't do anything Marvel part time. This is a year's long commitment. Okay, so a lot there.
Starting point is 00:07:10 A lot there. So let's start with the first part of this, Winston. What do you make of the fact, do you think that there's any merit? Before we even do that, I got to tell you, because you said to me as we were starting this, you said, how you've been this week? I said, there's a lot going on. I said, but we both need to get our energy ready to go. And I said, the way to do that, I said, I know how to get our energy.
Starting point is 00:07:28 I already know what it is. Magic mind, baby. Let's do it. You got sun coming in through the, through the. I just, I just, I got that triple monitor. Oh, okay. to the to the prompters there so I could look right at you I'm excited magic mind and it's so funny because both core is like what he goes magic mind is my
Starting point is 00:07:47 is is one of my favorites of all time because look it's clean energy it basically gets you there's no jitters it really gets you focus it's got a good taste we'll do this real quick you know it's got something oh it sounds like orange juice um but anyway exactly what it tastes like right this is an orange so and if you go to magicmind.com slash kh and use that code kh 20 it's literally the first one that you see you'll see what Winston and I are talking about every single week why do you you you love it you you said to me before we started you're like hey I need more pretty much man and and you know every time I think the one thing the coin I've really been harping on has been the the sleep version that they've
Starting point is 00:08:28 put out yeah they send us some of that they are absolutely fantastic they're non-habit forming some of the best sleep that I have ever had. I got to give them props for that just because I do struggle sometimes sleeping through the night. I'll get you more. Fall asleep easy. Stay asleep the whole night. And now I'm even hearing rumors. They got these little gummies too.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Woo! Magic Monk cooking. So again, if you want the link, it's in the description. All right, Winston, so give me your thoughts,
Starting point is 00:08:53 man, on what's going on here. Is this, should they be nervous? Are they nervous? What say you? I mean, I went and decided to,
Starting point is 00:09:01 you know, I'm looking up at just, Joe because they have them split. But I'm on Rotten Tomatoes looking at the breakdown of things. There are plenty of movies here that the Russo's have taken part of where critically they're doing great and critically they're doing terrible. Almost every single one that they have directed, though, has had a 72 or higher. So or as screenwriters as well.
Starting point is 00:09:24 So that means that as far as the audience. So that means the movies they're making people are enjoying. It's that the critics have a problem with them. I understand you're not hitting the same. heights of having the 90 and 90 that you're getting out of end game or 85 and 92 out of Infinity War. So there is some concern, but A, they haven't missed with anything Marvel. So that's the first thing that I think you really want there.
Starting point is 00:09:44 And then B, to know that people are resonating with it. Again, we have talked multiple times about how there is this weird divide right now between critics and audience members. And I'm not saying that's not something you shouldn't keep in mind. But I think until you've really seen them fully blow it. And audiences aren't rocking with it either. I don't think that that's something you need to worry about. People are looking for the Rousseau's to bring that magic back to the beloved MCU.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Yeah. And a couple points you make there. I think the first is the only problem I have with the audience score is that a lot of times, most times, not always, but most times, the audience scores always higher than the critics. Sure. always so that's harder to gauge right but i think your point of um you know they listen they're they're they're making movies on that the fans are enjoying the net the Netflix is putting them on it's they're spending too much money on them but that's not a russo thing that's a Netflix thing that movie electric state cost over 320 million dollars that's the stupidest thing that anyone's
Starting point is 00:10:54 ever green that's just stupid um but the point that you made about them they haven't missed with Marvel. They clearly understand Marvel. They're fans of Marvel. Now, missing one of their writers, is that going to be an issue? Maybe, but having, but having them actually back to this world, maybe it's the thing where the original kind of stuff and maybe these things and maybe because they had too much room to play in in the Netflix world that they kind of went nuts
Starting point is 00:11:22 with what they wanted to do with action stuff. And I saw, look, I didn't mind the gray man, but the majority of stuff they've been doing is fairly generic, right? Sure. I don't know how much Kevin Feigy and those guys are, are nervous about it. I really don't because what do you think they think? They made four good movies for us and they just forgot how to make Marvel movies. Now, passion could go away.
Starting point is 00:11:43 That's very much true. Like if you had a meeting, maybe they're like, well, if that was in the report, Kevin Feige had a conversation with them and realized maybe they're just in it for the money. That's a possibility. That happens to anybody. So, yeah, just looking off the Netflix thing. Because that's the other side of it, too, is it's, all their movies have been on streaming. They had this Netflix deal.
Starting point is 00:12:06 You can't really say because one of the reason, this is something that's beneficial. This is why I would say if you're a director, make a deal for streaming because you can't really, they can't say, hey, they lost this so much money. Oh, yeah, how? How do we know that we lost you so much money? How do we, how do we know that for sure when you're doing the streaming numbers? When you're in the theater, you go, I can tell you how you made, when the opening weekend was, you cost $300, $20 million, and you made $10.
Starting point is 00:12:32 So you lost this a lot of money. You're not getting another job. Harder to say that when you're streaming. It's like, well, wait a minute. Our Graham did pretty well. No, absolutely. And I think the other thing you got to take into consideration is what's hitting and what's not for them. So for example, anytime they've played within somebody else's world, so I think like community,
Starting point is 00:12:52 for example, where they were part of the writing team, everything everywhere all at once where they served as producers, things like that. cooked just fine. Marvel as well, because you're dealing with established IP, things like that, they cook just fine. It seems whenever they kind of branch off into their own solo, let's make a whole thing from scratch ourselves, that they run into a little trouble. But you're running back into an IP situation where they do exceptionally well. I've said that about Beniof and Weiss. I feel like anytime they have material to work off of, so I look at the beginning of Game of Thrones, the greatest show on television. The minute they had to kind of finish it on their own at the detail in there is when it kind of fell off.
Starting point is 00:13:29 off. And you could say the same thing when you look at, you know, if they were directly interpreting things when they were working on like some of the X-Men stuff and whatnot, cool. But the minute they were like, okay, we're going to do our own version of like X-Men origins Wolverine. We're just going to throw a bunch of stuff together is when they end up in trouble. So I think this is a situation for the Rousseau's. You were giving them a specific IP sandbox that they love to play in to go and go. Just so you know, Electric State was a book. Okay. I did not know that. How, like, is it a series? Is it one book? like what's the
Starting point is 00:14:00 they have they have they have a few I mean a lot of stuff that they had I mean whether it's adapted I think that it's it is more relevant to the streaming side of it though too you know it's like because it's they did adapt stuff but there's a difference between again adapting like you didn't know about electric state
Starting point is 00:14:16 but saying it wasn't popular clearly it was because people that's a large large part of Hollywood now is give us a book or a graphic novel and like people know these characters and and look this is one of these things that maybe when you're maybe that their lane is marvel maybe that's their lane maybe the these other movies is that they're in adapting books and things wasn't their lane yeah no i mean i i i i'm seeing it yeah that it was uh what a it looks like a graphic novel i was a graphic novel a illustrated sci-fi dystopian novel which is again that's 100% fine that like my theory doesn't quite change in
Starting point is 00:14:56 that if for them they just really understand specifically Marvel, then that in and of itself might be a whole thing. And like, nobody wants to have necessarily the career be associated with just one thing. That's why people branch out and do stuff. I think
Starting point is 00:15:13 to anybody that's a long under SVU fan, like Christopher Maloney was playing you know, Stabler so long as that detective and he decided to leave the show because he's like, I want to see what else I can do. And then ultimately came back to the character when he was like, you know what? This was like the character of my lifetime. I want to do
Starting point is 00:15:29 that and so this could be the same thing here and i don't think that that's necessarily a bad thing i am personally not worried because they have not failed in this capacity yet i i'm more worried about marvel not the russo's doing yes i because i'm telling you i'm doing react sam and i obviously you know right now we're we finished all the spider man movies we just finished both spider verse movies we released um into the spider verse today across coming out on tuesday we've already reacted we filmed we haven't released yet the first three episodes of wandavision right we're going to do falcon and winter soldier after that and i think loki comes after i was doing the list and this is where i'm going with this and i'm doing the list and i'm looking i'm like man there's a lot of like
Starting point is 00:16:13 duds like there's really a lot of duds like i was going okay so i'm looking at it now in the order wandavision we're going to do falcon and winter soldier we're going to do loki season one we're going to do and then the movie black widow fine chung chie people really like I liked it. I liked the first two acts a lot. I really dislike the third act. Eternals, me, you and Quarry the only three people who like that movie. It's one of the lowest ranked movies for sure. People do not love that movie. They almost ignored a lot of stuff that happened in it, regardless of if we liked it. Then Hawkeye, which, you know, it's fine. It's fine. But again, nothing great yet, right?
Starting point is 00:16:54 Nothing really, really good. Moon Night, which a couple episodes are really good. that one we're probably not going to react to. Dr. Strange, too, me and you are not a fan of that one. Ms. Marvel has a lot of, I mean, the non-superhero stuff is great in Ms. Marvel. But again, another, not a super popular series, right? Thor, Love, and Thunder is the farts, is the absolute farts. Maybe the worst movie that they have, in my opinion, maybe ever.
Starting point is 00:17:18 I'm really just, really not looking forward. And I say that, only seeing it once and turning it off a second time when I tried to watch three minutes of it. I have to now watch it with Sam. There is a possibility that the end of that reaction, Winston, that I say, hey, look, maybe this isn't as bad as I thought it was. Or I could double down. I can see it either way because I have now done both of those things. Love and Thunder is worse than I remember it. And Dr. Strange isn't as bad. I still don't like Dr. Strange, like two, but it's not as bad as I was giving it credit for. I also make the argument that Noe A Home, which is a fantastic movie,
Starting point is 00:18:03 is also not as high of a movie because part of that, you got to remember a lot of times you're the prisoner of the moment. Right. And that's part of it, too. I get it. But so that movie, and then right after that is Shee Hulk, yuck. Black Panther, too, which I always, I do give them so much, um,
Starting point is 00:18:25 leeway because of the circumstances, but it's an okay movie. It's okay. Um, Ant Man 3 is another one that I like the science fiction elements of it. I think I like it better than most. It's another one that I could watch again and say, I haven't seen it since I saw it the first time.
Starting point is 00:18:39 That's another one where I was higher on it when it came out. And then as I started the second watch through, I really did not enjoy it. And I think this, the thing in particular, I both A didn't love the fact that Evangeline was essentially not in it at all. Like if it's Ant Man and the Wasp and the Wasp just ain't around. And I actually didn't really like the recasting.
Starting point is 00:19:05 I didn't like the girl that played Cassie Statuary. Right. I know. Seriously, Catherine Newton. Yeah, I wasn't really a fan. I like her and other things I've seen her in. But rewatching her performance, it feels kind of like a whiny, teenager and I'm not saying she's not a teenager now but like you didn't like the direction they
Starting point is 00:19:25 went with the character yeah and I don't know if that's her acting or that's the direction but I did not like how they went with her it seems more like the direction on that one I have to rewatch it again so I'll have my opinion I but same thing could like it more could like it less um but again all the movies I've mentioned I haven't mentioned anyone that we're like oh that's great um I think Wanda vision is a really great television show I have to go I have to revisit falcon winter soldier but I remember liking that one Loki season one and two are really good again like I said black widow Shung Chi
Starting point is 00:19:54 Eternal's again I like that one but I'm talking about audience reaction right I think more shung Chi probably give more credit to people really like that one but I'm just speaking for myself with the last the last act I went real quick to look up Catherine Newton
Starting point is 00:20:10 like I love herself I loved her and freaky she was great and big little lies like Abigail she's got a lot of good stuff you're just born a fan of the portrayal in that one I get it But Hawkeye, like we said, fine, Moon Knight, fine, Dr. Strange, too, eh, Ms. Marvel, fine, Thorloven Thunder, Farts, Sheeulk, The Farts, Black Panther 2, fine, Ant Man 3 for most people the farts, Secret Invasion, Super Farts. Guardians 3 is the first great movie that they did. I think it's great. To me, it's my, it's my favorite out of the three guardians. It's my favorite guardians. It's my favorite guardians.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Okay, if we look at phase four and five, I'm just curious. What would you say is the absolute worst thing that came out of a TV shows and... Okay, good to know. So let's say so, and then it follows up after Guardians 3 is Loki 2. Really good. The Marvels, the Farts. And then I guess we're talking four and five here. Captain America, Brave New World, and then Thunderbolts after that.
Starting point is 00:21:11 So, I mean, I'm not including what if and those other things. So best show, I would, I could split in between either Loki C, in two or Wanda Vision. I could take the argument either way, one of those two. Best movie, Guardians 3. Okay. Interesting. Guardians 3 is the
Starting point is 00:21:33 best one for you. I think that's a great choice, actually. Worst movie. Worst movie is Thor Love and Thumbon. Okay. And then worse TV show? You know what? I got to watch. I got to watch right now, because of my memory, Thor, Love, and Thunder.
Starting point is 00:21:47 but I have to go back and watch the Marvels and Thor Love and Thunder easily could switch out. Let me ask you this question. Because I know the things that you had issues with the Marvels and I know you need to rewatch it. But my question is this. When you think about at least just the characters themselves,
Starting point is 00:22:07 so if you're just thinking about what, Thor and Lady Thor and Valkyry and Corg in Love and Thunder, though being your kind of core for, or the Three Ladies of the Marvel, Which of the character interactions, relationships, development, do you think was stronger at the very least? Because I know you think that both stories suck, which is probably the Marvels or Thor Love and Thunder? Let me rewatch it again.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Okay. Because I got to rewatch them and then I'll tell you the answer. And then I don't think I said worst show. Worst show is either, I mean, I bailed on secret invasion. So the answer is secret invasion. It's pretty secret invasion, right? It's the only one I think, I mean, oh, I didn't even include it. I echo in there.
Starting point is 00:22:46 But it's not the worst. the worst is either I mean I guess it would be secret invasion because I couldn't even finish it but right after that is probably She-Hull I absolutely promise you like you don't even put She-Hulk in the same category like there is a you can put it in D-tier if you want because there's a lot of problems
Starting point is 00:23:05 Secret Invasion is F-tier it's not even it's not even I bailed on it I bailed on it and it sucks you lost some really strong actors in there in what Kingsley Bennett, Benadier and Amelia Clark. Really good actors. Yeah. You had some strong actors in there, but that thing.
Starting point is 00:23:25 Ben Mendelso moved back, yeah. Oh, and it's the same thing that keeps happening. I think how a lot of this stuff got greenlit, you come with such a strong pitch or a strong idea, and the first episode of two of pretty much every one of these shows, for the most part, kind of slaps. And the beginning of Secret Invasion was like, damn, we really get in this spy thriller.
Starting point is 00:23:45 And then it just, it's, it's, It's like they wrote chapter one and then just through spaghetti to see what happens for the rest of it. It's awful. Yeah, I mean, that's from everything I hear is probably that one. Like I said, I don't have enough to talk on that way because I couldn't even finish it. I couldn't even finish it. We have more stories to discuss. We got a rumor about Anadarmus in Spider-Man that we're going to get to next.
Starting point is 00:24:10 But before we do, man, all week, I've been telling you guys about great sponsors that we have on this show. And I got people saying, listen, we don't want to. want you to lose them. We want you to keep going. We want you to be able to keep doing the show. So we got, I got, I got this. I got that. It's like great. And if you like it and it helps you out. Let me tell you about two of them right now, check it out. And she just was over the moon. She said, don't mess this up. You got to keep them on. They're great. So we love. And we have them in the, in the backyard here. Starting point is 00:27:58 Fast growing trees has been just wonderful for the house. It looks nice. So don't check it out. Links are in the description. All right, Winston, we got this story. And this is about Onan Armist. There's a new rumor that. she is eyeing there eyeing her for the lead female villain role in spider-man spin-off movie
Starting point is 00:28:20 excuse me el moirto i thought she was going to be in spider-man four maybe i looks like i was wrong wrongskey mcgonsky um um so but josh wilding here during last year cinema con sony pictures made no mention of spider-man four but did announce venom three and el moirto the former wasn't a shock after the success of venom let there be carnage so fans were hoping to see a little thing a little more exciting than plans for a movie starring an incredibly obscure Spider-Man villain. Based on what we've heard, Sony gave popular rapper and aspiring actor Bad Bunny his pick of characters from their Spider-Man universe and he decided to take a crack at bring Elmira to the life, giving his love of pro wrestling. That's not surprising, especially as he's
Starting point is 00:29:03 competed at WrestleMania with the WWE. Now Screen Geek is reporting that no time to die and Ballerina star, Armas is being eyed to play the movie's female lead opposite Bad money's title character. This would be the first superhero movie and proves that even after movies like Venom and Morbius, Sony has no trouble attracting A-list talent because they have money. Oh no, they didn't write that to its expanding Marvel universe. We're not convinced actors fully understand the difference between that and the MCU, to be honest. I think he is 100% right. Considering the fact that El Merto has made only a handful of appearances on the page, There's really no one we know from his corner of the M's of the Marvel universe who can say Armis would be a good fit for.
Starting point is 00:29:51 However, it's entirely possible that Sony will pluck another Spider-Man supporting character from the comics in order to give Armis someone noteworthy to play here. It's worth noting that this is likely to be an original tale about the Mexican wrestler who wears a mystical mask that gives him and those and his family wear his superpowers. I hate this. I hate this. And I, I, I, it's not, it's not the, the, the character. It's, it's, it's, it's Sony again doing, it's exactly what he said. First of all, you know, it's such a great point that I don't think we've ever talked about in this show. In the same way, we, we just assume because actors are in the business that they automatically are tuned in to the movie news and the things that we talk about.
Starting point is 00:30:35 They are not at all. They don't, they, there are tons of actors that are very much locked in and can tell you, what's part of the MCU and what isn't. There are agents that could tell you very much so. What's part of it? What isn't? But the connectivity and all that, you could see one of these, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:54 people who see agents going, oh, yeah, I saw Tom Hardy and he was in the, he was in the No Way Home movie. He's part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And oh, yeah, yeah, they're connected to all that. So yeah, you should do this. It's part of MCU. Oh, Kevin Feige, he's not on this one.
Starting point is 00:31:07 How come, blah, blah. You can see all that happening. You really could, more so with the actors, you know, like, hey, we'll sign on. You're going to be in a Marvel movie. And maybe the agents, if they are very aware of it, they can sell it in the fact, hey, it's a Marvel movie. Oh, Marvel? Okay. Not, it's not, now that Marvel. It's like, and that's what Sony is right now. Sony is on that Marvel. And this is, who cares? Who cares? Am I wrong? No, you're, you're a hundred percent spot on. They should not be doing this. I'm actually kind of annoyed that they are.
Starting point is 00:31:38 to that point I have a friend of mine who has you know his career is really starting to go on the up and up and he has a small part in Madam Webb and he was out here like all over his social to be like yeah y'all I'm part of the MCU now you got to check this out I was first of all no you're not right second of all I know you're excited that you're on the big screen right now I probably wouldn't push this I would I would which one madam Webb oh he was he was the he was the the lawyer dude that was like asking her questions on the subway. Okay. Either way, doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:32:14 It a thousand percent is a situation where, no, people are not jacked in every time. We are because we do this for a living and or we are massive fans, so we care. But the general public or even the actors involved, that most of them have no idea because they are probably doing three or four or five progress at a time, unless that is something that has become paramount for them and that they really want to know. So yes, no, it's more, oh, it's Marvel. We have a good relationship with Sony. They're not paying attention to this.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Well, this might be on me. What'd you do? Apparently, this article is from like 2023. I thought I was confused. I was like, I feel like this. I've heard this before, but I thought maybe they revived it. You're killing me. You're killing me.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Bro. I was like, I thought this was dead in the water, but maybe it's back. Well, Sony, good on you. Oh, it's good stuff. Christian, Christian, did you replace your magic mind with, like, water with your coloring? What happened? You want to see my favorite comment?
Starting point is 00:33:31 Yeah. Alexis, uh, dames, who simply says, F. Where is I but she wasn't she I thought she was rumored for something Bro I thought she was rumored for something hilarious It's hilarious what is this holy crap oh my god I guess That's what she's what she's that's not an old article Here's one
Starting point is 00:33:59 The other return of Charlize their own as Clea and doomsday before me Let me do that I'll do this This is 11 minutes You gotta give her a flower at least because she's at least a... No, look at that. Yeah, okay. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:34:16 All right. Here we go. Hey, I don't know if you guys know this. Anna da Armist has been rumored for a Marvel movie. That's right. What? Unbelievable. An industry
Starting point is 00:34:31 insider recently revealed the new rumor that actress Anna da Armis might join the cast of Avengers Doomsday in a mystery role. However, Marvel Studios has not commented on the rumor. Avengers Doomsday is set for a release in 2026, and we'll see actor Robert Downing Jr. returned to the MCU as the iconic super villain Dr. Doom.
Starting point is 00:34:54 The unknown role rumored, of course, to Daniel Rickman, who says that Anandar Amos is rumored to have an unknown role in the Marvel Studios movie Avengers Doomsday. He made a post on Patreon, in which he said he stumbled upon a hot rumor that isn't from a source who is from a casting group, but rather a friend of a friend. He noted that this friend of a friend claims that on an armist
Starting point is 00:35:13 talks for a role in Doomsday. Furthermore, Rickman asserted that if the rumor of Armish joining the Avengers Doomsday cast is true, then it will be pretty thrilling. No official confirmation on this rumor yet. Recently, source revealed to the wrap that as well as Robert Dane Jr., Chris Evans, who played the role, Steve Rogers.
Starting point is 00:35:31 We'll also, who else? Who else is? Steve Rogers is going to return? Let me go back up to the top real quick. I just want to say something. What do you want to say? Did you do it again? What is the date on that? Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:50 I guess that, but it's still, but it still hasn't been, still hasn't been, December 24, my guy, it's March. Yeah, but that's all right. 2023. Why are people telling me that Anna Armas? don't listen to them literally clearly
Starting point is 00:36:08 chalice theron is apparently return this is 11 minutes ago Mark Cassidy bro what is it a doomsday will reportedly see the return of Shalise Theron as Clea this happened about 11 minutes ago Mark Cassidy
Starting point is 00:36:22 I don't know what you're talking about there's a new story that says Avengers Doomday reportedly see a return and Charlest they're on that's clear it what you're talking about Winston making a bullshit this probably won't come as much as a surprise.
Starting point is 00:36:36 But we were hearing that Charlize Theron, Winston, I don't know if you heard this yet, will reprise her Dr. Strange role in the multiverse of madness. Oh, good. We haven't seen Charlie Serran since Dr. Strange in the multiverse of madness. This is my favorite comment ever. That last half hour didn't even happen. Bro, guys, y'all don't realize that we're in a Tarantino movie
Starting point is 00:37:03 and we're just time skipping right now back and forth. And somehow, and somehow it's the best show of the week. Hey, for that, guys, definitely help me win this. Hey, cut it out. All right. Let's go and let's finish this shit up. Now, the Cosmosis circus, Alex Perez is claiming that
Starting point is 00:37:33 that she will be part of the already jam-packed MCU movie of Van. He noticed, he also says that America Chavez, Shehulk, and just in case the last dozen are so confirmations weren't enough, Scarlet, which will also have a significant role to play in Doomsday. I mean, look, anybody, you could
Starting point is 00:37:49 say anybody from the MCU is going to show up in this in one way or another. Now, if you look at the leaks and the things that had happened with how Doom is going to create this other world, you could see, a character like Charlie's there on
Starting point is 00:38:05 walking in the background and saying, would you like to buy some fruit today? You know, it's like, it's anybody. Anybody could be doing that. It could be somebody could be Chris Pratt, who was sitting there with whoever that was in that picture laughing at a bar or whatever, too, because it's a different world.
Starting point is 00:38:20 So like the cast of characters in the back, oh, like Easter eggs all up the, the ace, how they're going to, you know, be factored into it? I don't know. But Winston, what do you say? I will say this. The good news, this article is written today and not in 2021. Yeah, no, it definitely dropped at 2 p.m. Eastern.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Nice. So, yeah, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that definitely is a lot better than what you're doing. Um, yeah, I, I, I, yes, any and everybody will probably show up. If I, if I had to put a guess as to who might get cut, it's Kit Harrington. I think everything else that, what the only guy that gets cut is can, can't acting and every single person? I think that with the Secret Wars and all that, you didn't do anything with him and he really was supposed to show up with Blade. I could definitely see Clea showing up because you just took Strange. Stranger's going to be involved in all this. I'm sure she's
Starting point is 00:39:14 trying to help stop whatever incursion, right? I think the other one, I think you're going to end up with Hulk's kid because we've already, if the concept art is true, then we're getting a Hulk village, so that's happening. I'm trying to think of the other stuff. Star Fox, Harry Stiles. You're most. likely getting him. I think that that's still happening. So I think the only one that I think just wasn't developed or doesn't have a direct tie to anything and was really going to be tied to blade is Kit Harrington. I think the rest of them are going to show back up and be used for Doomsday and or Secret Wars. Yeah. I mean, look, I think most of the Eternals aren't going to show up.
Starting point is 00:39:52 I think they will, but they're not going to show up in any meaningful way. I think one of them might Like I said, like someone's selling big fruit on the corner. Right. Or as the universes are being collapsed in on themselves, the Eternals are doing something and only one of them survives or something. I'm not going to go to a full dive on this other story because I was watching it on, you know, Josh Harwitz was checking out of this thing.
Starting point is 00:40:17 And did you see that Amanda Seafridda? The thing where... Yeah, she turns it down and took wild with the... What is it called? The Seth McFarland, many ways to die in the West. I hated that movie. That movie was bad.
Starting point is 00:40:32 I didn't realize that was the same time. Holy crap time. Yeah. Well, that's what she said. She said basically she chose that movie over this one because she didn't want to be. And what I liked about the clip, she was brutally honest. And she said she didn't want to be part of the Marvel's first bomb. And I respect that.
Starting point is 00:40:48 The two, yeah. Because like I think that you also have to look at the time. That was around when, what, family guy was, was flying. American dad had finally like kind of hit stride. What the Cleveland show hadn't had him bottomed out yet. I want to say Ted was on the horizon. So like McFarland was like they did she got she me look she got two movies out of it. She got the million ways to die in the West or whatever and then she got Ted two out of it. So she got two movies. Right. But you know, but she didn't get guardians. But but again that it's how many people when they heard that
Starting point is 00:41:25 you would somewhat heard of every other character and or team that had shown up. And even if in the minors bit, when Iron Man first came out, Iron Man, okay, he's got like a robot suit, right? Or like Thor, that's like a, that's like a North Scott or whatever, something, you've heard something. Guardians of the Galaxy, that was a very obscure. It was, yeah. I can understand why you would think that.
Starting point is 00:41:46 A lot of people, I remember having the conversation on Shmose where, where, oh, no, that was actually about Ant Man. McCugoo was convinced that it was bomb and there's nobody heard of Ant Man and they wouldn't do well. And it was, I think it was because of Guardians that I wind up betting him. I knew it would do well because obscure movies and Paul Rudd and all that too. But anyway, that is, it was honesty. And the other thing that she said, but she didn't want to be part of that makeup and do all that. And I wonder, though, because she didn't know, it was just a slip of the tongue or she said,
Starting point is 00:42:17 well, I also didn't want to be painted blue. What does that mean that she was in for Nebula? Or was she in for Gamora? She also could have potentially, isn't that around the time with first class? Is it possible that she was also up for Mystique over with X-Men? No, no, no, no, because she said, because she said it was because of Jennifer Lawrence and Mystic that,
Starting point is 00:42:36 she's like, I don't want to go through that. Because Jennifer Lawrence had been so vocal about it, that she didn't want to do it. If it was blue, then maybe she was, it was a nebula-type situation. Who knows? Yeah. Okay. Well, let's shift on over to DC.
Starting point is 00:42:52 See, Winston, I got an update for you right now. You're at 17, my friend. Okay, we move in. We move in. Moving the needle. You need just around 80 more to, I think, to take, a little less than 80 to take them out. So let's get to the next question, next topic, rather. And that is DC.
Starting point is 00:43:11 The Superman test screenings, again, we can't get away from these test screenings, Winston. Can't get away. There's another test screening report for Superman that heaps praise on the lead star, David Corrin Sweat. DC Japan, meanwhile, has been good on yesterday's tease, but it's not as exciting as we hoped. Josh Wilding says much has been said about Superman's a turtle test screening in recent weeks. Positives and negatives have been shared by those who claim to have seen it,
Starting point is 00:43:33 though the consensus is largely good and points to this being a strong star for the DCU in theaters. It's not surprising giving Games Guns track record in the comic book movie realm. That's the, though the filmmaker's approach isn't to everyone's liking, and that's called his suitability for a Clark Kent story into question. will Superman be more Guardians of the Galaxy than the Suicide Squad or entirely its own thing? Remains to be seen. Talking during the hot mic, Jeff Schneider, shared another brief update about what he's been hearing. He said, I got a recent test screening report from somebody who saw it and they liked it, explained.
Starting point is 00:44:10 They thought David delivered as the man of steel. They thought Gunn did a good job balancing the heart and the humor, and they say it's around 140 minutes approximately. Okay, I like that. Some people don't love it. Some people think it's too joking or the tones off or they saw the comedy out of context. Some people really like it. There's a range of opinions. Yesterday, we started getting excited after DC Japan shared a post promising that something would arrive tomorrow. As we theorize, it was just a release date update as Superman has moved from July 18th to 11th in that country. The news was accompanied by a brief teaser. However, we're disappointed to report that it obtains no new footage from guns long-awaited reboot. Next month, Cinema remains the most likely destination for the man at tomorrow to take center stage. And Superman, DC is the Superdemand, this DC studio's first feature film to hit the big screen. And it's set to sword to theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Brothers Pictures. Signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero, yada, yada, yada, yada, yada.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Okay. So, yeah, when you hear all that ones, you hear that, I mean, we're going to, you, me, Koi, I feel like it's going to be the same thing every time we cover this topic. It's like, we just need to see it. We need to see it. We need to see what those initial reactions are. We need to see what I'm not going to listen to the people to go to the premiere. I'm not going to listen to the people who go to special events and those types of things.
Starting point is 00:45:32 I'll pay attention to the first critics to come out and see it. I'll pay attention to behavior. If embargoes are last minute. if, you know, people are making super grandstanding moments now of like, this might be the greatest superhero movie I've ever seen in my life. I don't need all of that. If I'm getting too much behavior where it feels like somebody's trying to hide a secret, then that is a warning sign to me as well.
Starting point is 00:46:02 But I'm keeping the same energy I've kept every time we've talked about test screenings. You make a good point. You make a good point because I'm going to see a movie next week. And it comes out on Friday and the screenings on Thursday. and they dropped the embargo that night. So I don't have high expectations. Sounds like that movie is most likely not very good. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:22 But if it, we look at Captain America, right? Captain America, they did the same thing where they launched. It was, I think the embargo dropped. I mean, yeah, I saw it. This never happens. It was like usually you're going to just do a social reaction. You couldn't even do a social reaction until like late at night that night when I saw it.
Starting point is 00:46:39 It was crazy. they have very much confidence and that's and i mean look that good for them that they hit just around 400 by the end of it if they aren't lying to our faces about what the budget was for that then great you actually made some decent money but if we're all doing the collective math of what it takes to rewrite and rewrite and reshoot and reshoot okay yeah i'm curious to see what happens as far as a runtime i like the 220 runtime i think that's kind of what's needed if it's if you're telling me that story if there's a good balance of humor and if it's if it's light but with some humor and it feels like for me it's always a matter of this and I've always said this people are
Starting point is 00:47:20 people are mistaken when they say that I don't like humor in these movies that's not the case I don't like the humor when it's not earned and it doesn't seem like it's natural like if it's like someone throwing in these one-liners just because oh it'd be funny if they said it right then That would be funny. And it's like, yeah, but that doesn't seem like that character would say that right then. Do you, how much do you follow Andrew Schultz? You're in there. He had a really interesting take in an interview recently because I go back and forth with him,
Starting point is 00:47:52 but he had a very interesting take about the difference between podcast, him and like stand-up him. Stand-up him, that is a, I have taken the time, I've crafted this, I've put it A, B, and C to that the joke and the funny that's supposed to be there works. versus podcast him, he's kind of doing shit off rip. And so sometimes it'll hit and sometimes it won't. I think what you're describing with movies and the comedy, it's one thing if it feels like A to B to C, this joke makes sense.
Starting point is 00:48:18 It fits within the parameters versus it feels like now is it time for us to be on a podcast and just rip jokes back and forth where it's just off the cuff. When you look at James Gunn, like I always use Guardians too, as an example. Like I've grown to like Guardians 2 way better than I did initially. I think it's a good movie. I think it's a real good movie. But that movie is the least balance.
Starting point is 00:48:37 instead of the three of them. Like everyone has to be funny in that. Like everyone. Like everyone gets a joke. It's like Oprah handing out cars. Everybody gets a joke. And it's like, no. No.
Starting point is 00:48:51 You don't have to do that all the time. Like I said, like Drax to me is so much more solid in the third one and the first one. In the second one, he's just there. He's funny, but he's just there to tell jokes. And so that's what I don't want to see in Superman.
Starting point is 00:49:06 at all. And that's what that felt like is that felt like mumblecore. That felt like it was, okay, and then Drax, it doesn't understand the situation. So Dave will just like kind of say some stuff about things that are happening. Yeah. And that's what I mean. That doesn't feel, I don't think him doing those jokes is a problem. No, it's just not earned. But if exactly, it feels like and now's the time that we're going to relieve some pressure versus, you know, and there are very few people in this world, period, in the course of comedy that can truly do that no matter what Robin Williams. is like one of them. Richard Pryor was another one. There's very few that no matter what you can just say, no, just let them talk. Jim Carrey at his height was another one. You know what I mean? It's just not a thing that it doesn't mean people can't improvise. There are plenty of people that can, but you see what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:49:55 We don't need to write script here. They will handle it. Well, there's, I mean, that was again, the majority of the screening stuff has come from Snyder. and I was watching a bunch of hot mic yesterday. Well, they were really diving into. Do you see the whole thing with Valnet, with Collider? Oh, man, you got to read this article, Berto from the rap.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Just the people who ultimately bought, because people yesterday were asking, what are your thoughts on the Valnet situation when you were there, Collider, were they as bad to you as they were everyone else? I was like, that was after me. They bought Collider from Mark Fernandez, Valnet. But it's just, yeah, it's a scathing.
Starting point is 00:50:32 it's a really damaging article that was written about them and what they were doing a freelancers, this blacklist that they have and all these different things. Oh, wow. Where did this article come out from? The rap. The rap. The rap. Okay.
Starting point is 00:50:45 Yeah, just look at I'mberto, the rap, Valnet, it'll come up. And, oh, man, yeah, Roka and Snyder got heated on it. And freaking Snyder was screaming at one of the guys from scream rant on the thing. And Roka was going after Frosty. It was crazy. I actually happen to agree with Jeff Snyder on what they were saying.
Starting point is 00:51:07 I'll tell Broca as much on Monday. Frosty has nothing to do with it. He's like, oh, Frosty should be held accountable without Frosty. He's not, he's not the guy in charge of all that company. He's a charge of Collider. He's got his own budgets and everything else too. And he's like, well, you should take a pay cut. I'm like, he's not making millions of dollars.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Right. That's what people don't understand. He doesn't work like that. It's like, you should do the pay cut and pay all the, the freelancers. It's like, it doesn't work like that. And he says, I just don't think he likes frosting. But either way, it's a very scathing. It's damaging, I should say.
Starting point is 00:51:46 It's a very damaging thing in general. And I think, I think they should be held accountable for it. I mean, I really do. Because it's like, it's pretty bad. It seems like a significantly worse version of essentially the, what fell apart with Maker and full screen. you know what I mean where like because both of them and I know you even mentioned it with like when you were dealing with podcast stuff where they were straight taking money out of your pocket type situation this idea that these giant conglomerants are out here being like oh bro we're we're we're crushing this so they're just taking advantage of people left and right and then when the bottom falls out how many people are left in the wasteland you know what I mean yeah I gotta read this is interesting it is so let's let's let's make a right turn go with some controversial stuff let's go with the Jonathan Majors uh Jesus Christ who has a new movie coming out
Starting point is 00:52:36 he writes to he wrote a letter to Kevin Feigy and he also addresses the likelihood of a Kang return which says Antman and the Wasp Quantumania star Jonathan Majors has talked about reaching out to Marvel Studios president
Starting point is 00:52:54 Kevin Feigy as he was fired from his role as and addressed a possible return. Let's see. At the end of 2023, Loki and Antman and the Lost Quantum Mania star Jonathan Majors was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jibari during an incident that had taken place months earlier. Majors maintains innocence and continues to do so, but ultimately was found guilty and sentenced to a 52-week domestic violence intervention program. That's now in his rearview in magazine dreams, a movie which once generated Oscar buzz for the actors finally being released
Starting point is 00:53:23 this week. The King the Conqueror actor hopes to amount a comeback, though. opinions are divided on whether majors deserves a second chance. When it comes to the MCU role, Marvel Studios part of ways with the Creed 3-star moments after the guilty verdict came in and has since moved on from Kang choosing to shift the spotlight to Dr. Duh instead. Variety spoke to majors for magazine dreams and asked when he last spoke to Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feingy. He said, I wrote a letter to know, not recently, but not too far in the past.
Starting point is 00:53:52 I just wanted to clear the record. Yeah, it sucks. It sucks. Like, boom, you get the verdict. then boom, you drop. But Marvel's not mishandling anything by it coming through the grapevine. I got the job through the grapevine. Kevin didn't call me and say, hey, do you want to do the movie?
Starting point is 00:54:05 Do you want to be this guy? My agent called me and said it. Then an agent of mine, not my agent, got the news, turned and gave it to me straight. So I reached out to Kevin. Majors didn't reveal whether Figuhe responded, but did explain why he wrote to the executive. He said, I just appreciate him. I just love him. I love my time at Marvel and I still love Kang.
Starting point is 00:54:22 I'm watching them. I see what they're doing, and I'm pulling for them. If they need me, they know where to find me or they know where I'm at. While there continue to be rumblings about Kang's story being wrapped up, the latest from Scooper, My Time to Shine, is that it will be an anticlimactic conclusion does Majors believe they'll ever ask him back. It's not in my control.
Starting point is 00:54:39 I see it clearly. I understand it's a publicly traded company. You're trying to do this. You can't have this controversy around. That's what happens when this happens. I don't hold it against them. I want to make that very clear. I'm not upset with anybody about that. I'm not upset at all.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Many fans would like to see Majors get a second chance as Kang, especially as the villain, was a huge part of Loki, and the Antman, Quantumania, he was meant to be the MCUs next Thanos. But as things stand, his story has ended with little fanfare and many unanswered questions. Okay, so, I mean, look, I will tell you this. This is, A, a good response, B, the needed response. This is what he needed to say, and it was a good response. He's like, if you go out there, you're trying to make a comeback, and you start shitting all over Marvel and saying,
Starting point is 00:55:24 and hey blah blah blah why is this person then go do that and i can't do that let twitter do that for you you know you don't need to do that and he's playing his cards right it'll be a while before he gets a big huge studio movie but if he has interviews like this continuously and does stuff like this he'll get another shot i mean look i think the one thing you got to do is take it outside of take it outside of everybody loves to compare him to robert donnie jj Jr. because of what Robert Donnie Jr. meant as far as the face of the MCU, I don't think that that's relevant because of time, the crimes committed, et cetera. I think if you're going to do that, then a closer comparison would potentially be to Brolin or a renter who have had stuff on record
Starting point is 00:56:13 and all that. At the end of the day, the big thing above all else is that that audio coming out is not great. I'm sure you heard about that. All of that is bad. Which one? Say what? He had audio come out. Really? Major did. Recently? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:30 It dropped earlier this week where he was on video or on being recorded talking to Jabari and essentially being like, you know, I aggressed you. And she's like, yeah, you choked me and slam me up against the wall. He's like, that falls under the category of aggressed. So like admitting it on audio that it happened, it was related to the stuff that was going on. But it's just more part of that. story. I stand by the fact that like, look, if he truly proves that he is not that person, that he's changed, he's done, like he's already served whatever the sentence was. A lot of people
Starting point is 00:57:05 didn't think that was enough. But if he truly goes, changes is a completely different person, atones for what's going on. We, I don't have a problem having this conversation down the line. It still feels way too fresh. Even if, even based off of what he was specifically found guilty for, this is too fresh to be trying to launch a comeback. That is. is weird to me. Yeah, just because of that. There's,
Starting point is 00:57:27 but there's two sides of that too. There's a comeback and there's working. Sure. Right. Now, you doing movies like this, which you already shot beforehand, but if there's smaller films,
Starting point is 00:57:38 he's getting jobs, he's got to be prepared that no studios are going to want to work with them right now. Right. He just has to. I do. And look, I like Godfrey as a comedian.
Starting point is 00:57:46 I think that he's really, he's talented from what I hear. He's a nice guy. I could not stand the post that he did, I think it was like a year ago. and all this stuff was going down. Robert Dunny Jr. versus him.
Starting point is 00:57:56 It was the stupidest post I've ever seen. We're like, oh, how come Robert Danny Jr. got a second chance, but he doesn't. Because Robert Danny Jr. was damaging his own self. And he didn't have a comeback.
Starting point is 00:58:11 He was not even allowed to be on the set. They only want to insure him. His friends had to fight for him. It was the stupidest argument I've ever seen in my life. But that was a while ago. It doesn't matter. Point is, I agree with you. if you can continue, you know, if you can clean yourself up, you can do, you can get things
Starting point is 00:58:29 right and you get a second chance on the line, whether it's five years, 10 years, time will tell. All right, guys, what do you think? Do you think you should have a second chance? No second chance. What about all the stories that we talked about here today? Please let me know. We're going to get into the questions just a minute. Did you know that Paul Giamati's going to be playing Batman?

You guys know what. I talk about music and movies all the time, but surround sound to me and the way that it sounds, especially when I'm playing a game,
Starting point is 01:00:21 all the little things that you miss when you don't have headphones like this, that's what these Turtle Beach Gen 3 Stealth 700 headsets do. They're the best. We're getting rid of old toys and other things, too, and, well, giving them away to places, but things you just don't need. You start moving them away. And I'm excited to get rid of my, all the old deodorants that I've had,
Starting point is 01:01:14 Gonsky, because as I've been telling you forever, I use Mando. I love Mando. I've been using Mando, whole body, deodorant and it's just a game changer. They are the founders of Lumi. Mando Whole Body Deodorant is helping men conquer their odor in a new way. I like it because it's just natural.

Starting point is 01:02:21 Jeep still carries that fighting spirit. With the Jeep Declaration of Deals, we're pledging our allegiance to the American people with great deals on the luxurious Grand Cherokee, with available three-row seating, premium craftsmanship, and tech that turns every drive into an adventure. Or Jeep Wrangler with legendary 4x4 capability and open-air freedom. Because freedom deserves the vehicle built to carry it.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Jeep, there's only one. Hurry into your local dealer for the Jeep Declaration of Deals. Jeep has won more awards over its lifetime than any other SUV brand. Jeep at the Jeep Grill or registered trademarks of FCAUS LLC. All right. So if you want to keep the show running like you have been in the past, you guys know that getting the sponsors, if they're right for you, does just that. Gave you turtle beach, gave you Mando.
Starting point is 01:03:03 So there you go. Links are in the description for both. Winston, you want to hear something that I hope it warms your heart. My little one, the seven-year-old. Yeah, I can't be upset about this. Yesterday, I walked in as I'm a long day of work. and from up the stairs I see this shining smile she's like, Dad, I popped out one of my teeth.
Starting point is 01:03:26 And I go, she's like, she goes, Tooth Fairy's gonna come. I go, this morning, just dad, look at the Tooth Fairy left me. And she was like, you know, we left her like a buck or two in the, in the bag and like this little, and floss. She goes, and she looks and she goes, she left me some, she goes, she left me some, she goes, money's, I needed some monies. And then she goes, what's in? She goes, what's in here?
Starting point is 01:03:50 She goes, what's this? And she opens it up and she goes, oh, it's flush. She goes, you know what? I really love that tooth fairy. She's so nice. She's like, she's so generous. Bro, I hope that she comes out of her show one day and decides to do stand up because she would crush. Like just, just knowing her temperament in how she acts in that regard, if she can get over her not really wanting to deal with people, she would be a fantastic stand up.
Starting point is 01:04:17 She's hilarious. She was, she was like singing songs yesterday where she was drawing and just like, annihiling. Like, just annihilating. I was laughing my ass of the shit. She, she found this song. I asked people to look it up. It's, uh, Go Banana Go is this stuff that she listens. And she found this song called I'm bored. And it is her theme song. It really is a theme song. It's not, I'm bored by Go banana go and you'll learn my kid really quick. I am. Okay, Winston, you said you got some stuff going on in the channel. You're working on it right now. I am. And so what's, what's up? Yeah, so on March 30th, that's the big thing going on right now, no pun intended. I will be doing a marathon stream. So I did get my car back. It is running very well. Thank you to all the well-wishers. I am now officially broke. So we are going to be doing a marathon stream for 12 hours. That is on March 30th. It's Sunday. We're going to be doing. everything from playing games, doing Jackbox, Q&As.
Starting point is 01:05:19 I have some guests on there. We'll watch some movies together. It's going to be a good time. So don't miss it. YouTube.com slash Swaggy Blurred, Twitch. atTV slash a Swaggy Blurd come and hang out. Other than that, tonight, my lady is going to a concert. So I'm just going to free ball it.
Starting point is 01:05:32 We're just going to have some fun. We'll talk about a few stories, play some games. It'll be good time. So come take us up. There you go. Right now, you have to catch, you've got to catch, what's his face, Kalinowski. that's his name and Steph Sabra.
Starting point is 01:05:47 They have 93, I believe, is what I said, correct? Yes. You have 25. You need you need just around 70, 68 or so to tie. In about 45 minutes. It's doable. It's definitely doable, y'all.
Starting point is 01:06:02 Let's see. You did it last week. Help me out. I would greatly, like I said, I'm still broke, so I would definitely appreciate it. And a bonus if you do it, here we go. Shea Markell, I've been saying this on every reaction in Spider-R-R-R-N-O. Back to formula.
Starting point is 01:06:17 Hello, Harry. All right, let's see. So she loved No Way Home, by the way. You should watch that reaction. Did she? Okay, I'll check it out. Loved it. She absolutely loved it.
Starting point is 01:06:25 It was she, and she loved into the Spider-Verse. Like, she had no idea. You know, it was great at the end of No Way Home. You know, obviously she doesn't pick up on the reference, but she goes, Jamie Fox says about the Black Spider-Man. And then she said, he said, I come as hoping there was, there's a, maybe somewhere out there is a Black Spider-Man. and and randomly because you know,
Starting point is 01:06:46 Sam's Puerto Rican, she goes, I wish there was a Puerto Rican Spider-Man. And I looked into the camera and I was like, and then dude, I don't know if the editors picked it up, but I'm sure that they did. I haven't seen the beginning of it. But like,
Starting point is 01:07:01 within seconds, she sees the Puerto Rican flag in the back. And she's like, hey, wait, think, think. I don't watch Seinfeld,
Starting point is 01:07:11 but I'm familiar with the Puerto Rican Day episode. man. That's just right. Bob Frapples. Hey guys, with the baseball season starting, I want to congratulate Winston on his insert team name here
Starting point is 01:07:20 on winning the 2025 World Series. Very, very cute. That is the best. That's adorable. Good. Winston will, yeah, Winston is going to be a fan of whoever wins this year.
Starting point is 01:07:30 We'll see. Absolutely adorable. Yeah. TX Rogue Driver. Hey, guys, hope all is well. I want to know your thoughts on Disney working on the Power Rangers TV show. I did hear about that. They said the same people
Starting point is 01:07:43 who are doing Percy Jackson doing it. I mean, they, they write it a lot of wrongs with this Percy Jackson series, it sounds like. I don't really rock with that franchise all that much, but I've heard that people really liked what they did on the second go-round versus what was originally off.
Starting point is 01:07:58 So, you know, if they're able to bring that kind of realism to it, other than I, because I didn't even hate what they did. The movie, I like the movie. It was good. I just, nobody saw. That's the problem. It just, it didn't get butts in seats. And so that just,
Starting point is 01:08:13 that that unfortunately kind of put a kibosh on that so you know i hope they kill it uh armada dice is magnino and manascalco's professor x nah that you know they they no dice as uh old magnino and mas mascalco is younger magnino there's they you know they open for dice didn't know that yeah that's that's where he got his thing he used to open for him all the time but you can see well you don't want to be a mutant anymore you got to deal with the human Humans, you can guess which either one. You don't know who that is. Is that nice? It sounded like you fuse them together, to be honest.
Starting point is 01:08:53 It's true. It's like, it's like, wait a minute. You're going to use your claws in a situation. Guy, you're in metal. I can throw you. I can bend you. Cut it out. Sebastian is That would be good
Starting point is 01:09:14 Yeah Hey, Dice Hey, Mystique You busy Ha Jesus Christ man Disney can get rid of the Rousseau's
Starting point is 01:09:29 It's not too late Yes it is They did it with solo Yeah and how'd that work out The Rucos have shown themselves To be rad writers, Mike I love you Mike
Starting point is 01:09:37 I would If that is your decision, sir, I would never hire you to be an executive. They did it with solo. Yeah, and it cost them $300 million, and it was the first bomb that they had. The Ruses have, see, that's, that is this,
Starting point is 01:09:53 but that proves so much. This is such a, what have you done for me lately business? Mike, do you forget about Civil War? Do you forget about endgame? Do you forget about Infinity War? Do you forget about a winner soldier? I mean, come on.
Starting point is 01:10:07 All of those movies, I just mentioned are easily in the top 10 of the of the MCU movies of all time. Therefore, some people argue are the four best. Like not just top 10, but they are the four best. Right. Easily. So no, Mike, I love you to death, my friend. But no, that is, that is, if they got rid of the Russels now, that would be disastrous.
Starting point is 01:10:28 Armada, question. Cat Williams in the MCU, when? Who is you going to play? Who could cat? I would love for Cat to be some random. What? I can't even do my cat anymore. It's in there.
Starting point is 01:10:44 I need to think on it. No, there used to be good. I got to practice some more. All right. Old man, Mike, hey buddy boy, Winston,
Starting point is 01:10:52 you think you can beat me? I've been Bates. I've been Jack Sparrow. Only motorized a lady at Disneyland can knock me down. Do you know that story? No. Oh my God. We've told that story so many times recently on the air,
Starting point is 01:11:03 but like I'll tell you the short version of it is that we were, when we went to celebration, we went to Disneyland. We were there all night, me, him and Steph. And as we were coming back, there was a lady in a motorized, like one of those motorized things across the way. And we were on the other side of the street. And we were, the three of us were talking and out of nowhere, here comes this woman.
Starting point is 01:11:22 She doesn't, beep, she doesn't say, excuse me, she just goes and runs right past Mike. And Mike goes right into a bush. It was the best thing. It was the best. It was the best when I were crying. It was the best. It literally was the best thing I've ever seen. We were crying.
Starting point is 01:11:36 Steph and I couldn't get words out. It was the best. Arnold versus AI segment, please. I don't know if I can do that right now, but maybe we do one where Arnold could argue against AI. That'd be pretty funny. Were you here for the, was that all that happened on Monday, I think the first time.
Starting point is 01:11:54 I don't want to, I don't want to overdo the bit. We've done it three times this week, but are we back to, are we back to what we were doing at S-E-N or doing impressions or shit? No, no, no. This is a, so Big Balls was, arguing against he was debating against AI or this week and it was we did it three times and I'll do it next week we've done it we already done it a bunch of times I don't want to
Starting point is 01:12:19 overdo it already the audience already it's like okay don't kill the bet which I agree go pal one of my best friends I grew up with is having a wedding reception tomorrow so that'll be nice we really know wedding receptions are fun man especially if it's a if it's a close pal yeah have a have a good time go pal follows it up do you ever feel torn that you'll have fun with your friends but dreadly having to leave the house and stay up late would be tired for next week yes yes the older you get the more that that that kicks it there's actually there there there was a really i'll send it to you later christian this black woman did a remix of no scrubs called no clubs where like her homie try to get her to go out to the club and she's singing to the song no scrubs all the
Starting point is 01:12:56 reasons why she absolutely will not do that hilarious um but yeah happens all the time king of the wicker people given all the loose ends in the mc u how close can we expect the secret war adaptation to be accurate. I'm worried too much time we focus on the right thing, writing the wrongs rather than giving us an epic adventure. Look, it's all about that first movie, man. It's all about, that movie has to be a setup. What has to happen in that movie is Dr. Doom has to establish that he is more devastating than Thanos. He has to establish exactly what, and, and very similar what Thanos did, he has to win at the end of that first movie. He has to win. And I assume that's where he's going to set up all those things that we saw in those images.
Starting point is 01:13:40 He sets that up and that's how the world ends. The world ends. And his version of the world begins at the end of, you know what I'm saying. Yeah. A thousand percent, I think that that is what I think essentially what you're going to see is exactly that is I think that all of it is going to be brought together because there's going
Starting point is 01:14:00 to be something along the lines of when Loki was like, damn, look at all these branching timelines. you'll end up with the doom being like look at all this wasted space look at all this wasted energy potential blah blah blah blah and then starts like erasing shit like that's i think that we will see everything because doom's gonna be like this is a waste only doom can save it we have a new member buy rate 23rd we have um a lot of great stuff on the membership we just put we put the full non-ended watch along to no way home up there the there'll be i found all the our little our lot of old reactions that Sam and I did that will go up there also. So they're a little easier for me to do now once I get a little bit of time.
Starting point is 01:14:42 And then more of those will show up. And Patreon, we're getting a lot of new patrons now because of those two. So thank you for becoming a member. Appreciate it. Alex could not agree more. Winston, I love Catherine Newton. I just can't stand her portrayal of Cassie. I'm glad they got the Wiccan's portrayal right.
Starting point is 01:14:58 Crossing my fingers for Hulkling. Yeah, I mean, I do think, though, from both you guys, Alex, and Winston, I think that it really does come down to the directing and the writing of that because, as you both said, Catherine is really good. I think that they, I don't know why they went that direction with Cassie because the first two movies, the Ant Man movies, like, they're like partners in crime. Right. And so I think they could have kept that dynamic.
Starting point is 01:15:25 I get it. She's a teenager. It's different. Time has passed. I understand. But I think that they should have kept that dynamic between the two of them. And I think if you and even, I know that that that's. what they were alluding to, but they didn't really get to it.
Starting point is 01:15:36 If you further drilled home the idea that she is truly upset that, or he's upset about the lost time with her, so he was actually pushing to spend more time with her. Like, I get it. Ooh, I help save the universe. I'm getting rich and famous, blah, blah, blah. I would have been more akin to, he tries to take her along to all the book signings and all that and she wants nothing to do with it. Like that, to me, would have rang.
Starting point is 01:16:04 a little more true, I guess, than I'm just doing crimes on the side. I'm just like, I don't, I just, it just, a lot of that just did not work for me. Makes sense. Screwface John in the house. I'm a simple man. I see Christian Winston. I don't need. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:16:18 Screw face. Scroofyce. killing it recently. I was so funny. There's a song that came on that I think I heard from him. I was, I don't know where it popped up. It was like, I know that from screw face. He follows it up.
Starting point is 01:16:31 Hey, Christian, go ahead and pass that magic mine because it's clearly too. hope. True. Yeah, that was hilarious. That was a good dude. That was, that was some of your
Starting point is 01:16:45 most unintentional, hilarious content that you've put out, bro. That was wild. Do you know that, Endgame is the number one movie at the box office? So,
Starting point is 01:16:54 Mears, people forbidding AI about multiverses being real. We'll keep it, we'll keep it on, you know, one of those topics. said we're not going to do we're not doing big ball versus AI today but um when we do it we'll leave that as one of the topics for sure mike joyce's flight is delayed because the main power source for
Starting point is 01:17:14 heathrow airport mysterious fire yeah what happened have you ever heard no ever had a trip end in a strange way there was a there was a there was a fire at he throw a very bad fire um that they ultimately were able to get under control but it stopped all of heathrow's flights which is then having a ripple effect across the globe so i don't know if there's anywhere that jose going in particular, but if there's anybody that you know that's supposed to be flying somewhere, it's supposed to kind of put a delay potentially of a, but maybe a day or more for any sort of plane that would have been involved going internationally. So if your flight was just going, you know, New York to Philly, whatever.
Starting point is 01:17:53 But if your plane was involved with some sort of like international, it's going to mess with everything. Yeah. So unfortunately, it looks like nobody was hurt, but it just, it's, she's going to be there for a while. So yeah, I'm hoping How long does they sit That she's going to be delayed for it a couple of days Not sure because this all kind of went down
Starting point is 01:18:12 I believe last night Okay Last night London time So as we were in the mid-afternoon getting ready to go into night time So I'm not sure yet Okay As far as having your trip end in a strange way I don't think I can't think of anything off
Starting point is 01:18:29 You? I think of anything. Well, I mean, the trip didn't end right away, but I was on a vacation with an ex in Costa Rica. And I found out about three or four days in that she had been cheating on me with a coworker. Oh, that's nice. Because it was a trip that she had won through work. Oh. And they gave her a GoPro.
Starting point is 01:18:51 And we've done all this like zip lining and all this crap. And I was like, oh, let me download some of these videos to find that she out here in her draws with this dude. I was like, oh, cool. Awesome. and I got to stay in the same bed as you for the next four days. You didn't have to stay in the same bed. Yeah, but I wasn't going to, off principle, I've made her sleep on the chair.
Starting point is 01:19:12 That would have left. All right, DJ Case. Thank you, DJ Case. DJ Case. All right, follow up, Armada. Y'all going to check out the assessment movie. Which one is that? Which one that is?
Starting point is 01:19:26 Never heard of that. Assessment. Let's see. Assessment movie. Oh, Elizabeth Olson. Oh, Hamesh Patel. Good cast. Great cast.
Starting point is 01:19:38 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know what this one is. It's 24. Unless it's coming out now. It might have been. Is that the joke? Is that because it's 224? DJ Case.
Starting point is 01:19:51 That's pretty good. 10 memberships. Thank you, DJ Case. A lot of new members here today. Lowen. Winston, you're at 36, buddy. I don't know. Come on, y'all.
Starting point is 01:19:59 Come on, y'all. It might be a Steph and Mike. like victory here today. I can tell some more embarrassing stories. Corny for Fackin Christian, best segue ever. Thanks, man. Okay, next one. Thank you guys for everybody who is,
Starting point is 01:20:13 by the way, we're on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, if you didn't know that. Go pal. Have you heard anything about my dead friend Zoe? I've been a fan of Natalie Morales since the middleman in 2008. PLD will be glad that Ed Harris co-stars. Well, if Ed Harris co-stars,
Starting point is 01:20:28 you're not telling him about it for the first time. He knows. I can tell you he knows because I even we were talking about um we were talking about what was it the the the end of the year I'm cutting back on interviews and stuff and he's like oh you know maybe you can take a push toward dine he brought some project that it harris is in so I mean it's got really great reviews it's sitting at 94 95% respectively of critics in an audience yeah so there go. Okay. So now currently at 39 questions with Big Bang OT4. Severance
Starting point is 01:21:05 finale was bonkers. Please, no three year wait. I'm still behind. I'm so bummed, Winston. Because I'll tell you why. I love that show. I love that show. And I was so locked in the season two. So locked in. And then I got so much hype in this one episode, the Gemma episode. Do you see that episode? I am behind. No. And I just, everyone was somehow great it was. And I was like, eh.
Starting point is 01:21:31 And because everyone said it was so great, I'm like, I don't know. And I just, I haven't been able to lock in the same way. I have to just, I got to take time and finish it because I love the show so much. Right. But I just didn't, I just didn't dig that episode the way everybody else did. And I, and someone wrote to me, it's like, oh, there was so much stuff happened. And I was like, oh, maybe I didn't finish it that episode. And I think I did finish it.
Starting point is 01:21:53 I feel like I did finish it because the next one's like a Patricia Arquette. episode and I that one I started so yeah just I was like I was like it was too much of a wrap up thing for me sure in that yeah yeah um Kenya king I prefer Jonathan majors with the DCU stronger future that'd be interesting I would be interesting I I still stand by just give it some time just give it some time let him disappear for our minds for real because I think that's where he were in my opinion I'm not saying you know this is what he does for a living he's doing smaller stuff or whatever it is what it is. I think the more he keeps putting himself into
Starting point is 01:22:30 the spotlight, the worst, the longer this is going to take. You know what I'm saying? If he really is a tone, I think just go away for a while. Go pal. I think that was Norman Osborne. What, the back to formula? Yes. I'm getting a lot of ghost face from scream. From back to formula?
Starting point is 01:22:48 Hello, Harry. That one? That's, that's Norman or Osborne. Yeah, 100%. Okay. Jake. I know it won't for a while, but when Sam watches Lord of the Rings, will they be extended cuts? No, probably not. They're the definitive versions of my mind. I
Starting point is 01:23:04 couldn't agree with you more. They are the best. But watching for four hours with Sam on the first remember, she doesn't want to watch them in the first way. No. So to get her to lock in the, I got a lot, I got to, I can get to lock in the three. The four. I posted the movies that she's
Starting point is 01:23:20 going to be watching after the MCU and I threw Star Wars in there. She's like, hey, wait a minute. She goes, never agreed to that. Star Wars will do well for us and she and she's like, she goes, she's like, I don't want to watch Star Wars. She's never seen anyone. So I don't want to watch.
Starting point is 01:23:37 And I was like, I'm telling you, you got to watch. Yeah. She's going to have to watch them. I understand, but she's going to have to watch them. That's, that's kind of, that's like a non-sec with her or non-starter. Yeah, I meant. Armada, Manascoco being the Chipotle moves. as as Magnino's like get out of my layer now take the blue beast or whatever he is and make sure you clean up the shit
Starting point is 01:24:16 and why is that guy so fast all right DJ case support DJ case support thank you sir for could the new Star Wars head scrap Kinberg trilogy with his own with their own film probably not kimberg is very well liked in the studio system he's very well liked in the studio system so probably not uh and we don't even know if there is a new star wars head so let's uh put a freeze on that yeah put a cabashe on that for well casual stroll just rewatch the edward norton incredible Hulk and I got to say that Hulk wouldn't have given Thanos that fate um but he but he didn't hope didn't hold didn't hold didn't give Thanos anything Hulk got his ass whooped by that I think wait wait wait wait he's saying would have he would have given no no no he's saying that that holt would
Starting point is 01:25:09 have given Thanos a face maybe me oh look I see I see I see I'm yeah I mean maybe he he is he is a little bit more vicious than that was the early phases of rage Hulk though yeah but I I feel like that's one of those situations where do you remember, obviously he caught him with the backhand. But do you remember at the beginning of that before Abomination became that monster when it was just old dude essentially with the Super Soldier Serum, he was kind of giving Hulk the business until Hulk caught a swipe at him and broke him into a tree where he was dodging all underneath him, shooting him in the kneecaps, all that kind of stuff. I don't know. I think Danos was a smart fighter.
Starting point is 01:25:45 He probably would have used his rage against him. Go pal. Catherine Newton was good and Lisa Frankenstein, too. Yeah, I heard that. He follows that. Happy Endings was an underrated show. I never watched that show, but I heard of it. It was a pretty good show.
Starting point is 01:25:56 Alex, the Russo's directed a few of my favorite episodes of happy endings. Here you go. And a rest of development, in my opinion, that you work back best with a larger cast, if that makes sense. Makes a lot of sense.
Starting point is 01:26:06 Mm-hmm. Makes a lot of them. I'm a big fan of their work on community. They wrote some of my favorite episodes and whatnot. Like, they're, they are very funny. And I don't think anybody has ever denied that. I just think what people are concerned about is,
Starting point is 01:26:18 and maybe this is a question. is at this point, since they've been in the industry for a while, is maybe some of the hunger gone. And they're almost kind of just going through the paces to be like, cool, we got a new movie, let's make some money. But it's not the same like, I'm out here trying to prove something. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:26:35 Yeah. Okay, next one. King of the Wicker. Do you guys finish creature commandos? If so, thoughts. I like the character, but plot turned out to be a nothing burger. Frankenstein is a jerk. I didn't see the whole thing.
Starting point is 01:26:49 I did, I did enjoy it. I agree. I mean, I agree and disagree because I think what ultimately became of the show, this is to explain who these characters are and then kind of genuinely be a prequel almost to the DCU as a whole as to what we're really coming up against. That's what it ultimately felt like to me when it was all said and done. This was a character study show and a setup for what's going forward. Anthony M7, 2, just on the live stream, where is Corey. You know what that happened?
Starting point is 01:27:24 I was there. I was there. When Corey, we were like, man, Corey is missing all of this right now. Right. Mahmoud, Lamar Jackson will be on power raising Canaan. Really? That is interesting. He doesn't look like the type that can act.
Starting point is 01:27:39 I'm going to be honest with you. You know who actually is a fantastic actor? Kendrick Lamar. Really? You've never, I would assume, never seen power that doesn't seem like a type of show that you would watch why do you say that what you're right right that's what i was hoping so my friends and i take a long weekend trip the last few summers last year it was the same weekend as the crowd strike uh outage which made the return
Starting point is 01:28:05 fun oh man oh damn i forgot about that yeah it's um it's me steva thoughts on the ressalmania 41 cards so far also fly you'll stop that so as far as the yeah i mean look i the main event right now they're doing everything that they can and it is smart you're going to get non-mainstream people to tune in to watch that uh a bad guy john sina versus cori core you know good cody roads will be a a with some of the people are going to tune into um i think j uso versus goonther is a terrible match i don't think that it is relevant at all um i think there's they're going to do triple threat match that works really well there's two triple threat matches that are going to work really well.
Starting point is 01:28:48 So I think it's shaping up. It's shaping up right now. Okay, go pal. I also, wait a minute. Can I ask, is it true that John Cena went heel? I am convinced that you don't listen to me when I speak. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:03 I literally just said, that guy, John Cena versus. Did you not get the callback to you jumping back in time, Christian? No, you, that wasn't that. You're good actor, but not that. That was not. Come on. No, no. Go pal.
Starting point is 01:29:20 Ed Harris will always be Generation Francis, with the Congressional Medal of Jesus to me. Well, I think that, I wish PLD was here to talk to you about it. He loves you right now, Go, pal. You have no idea. Dean Smith, watching a little behind, but I feel the official tomato meter should be changed to slaps or farts. Good day, sirs.
Starting point is 01:29:41 Slaps or farts. The way the world will be a lot better. How was that? that movie that came out, oh, it slaps. And that one, it's the farts. Oh, okay. I see that. It works.
Starting point is 01:29:53 What if they change into slaps and farts, though? Why not? No, I'm saying, what if they change it to slaps and farts instead of a tomato meter? Yeah, what if they change it to tomato meter instead of farts and slaps? Anthony M7-2, do the delays and issues around Batman 2 at all increase the chances of Patinson joining the DCU? I don't think so. I think that ship has sailed. I think that everybody's kind of over it.
Starting point is 01:30:16 they're going to if there's one more delay on the batman two like blade style you're never going to see it um dancing dog 60 who comes out of the cancellation first jonathan major's johnny dep birth of a nation's Nate park or kevin spacy getting out of cancel his heart johnny debt that because of the star power of what kind of went on things like that uh hold on let's see hold on where is uh i i mean i say johnny debt because he was proven um he was proven uh well that but he wasn't proven he wasn't guilty in that one in that one trial afterwards too um so yeah i think so king of the wicker people christian how you feel about that episode is how i feel about the last of us i never got the hype of the game so i never bothered with the show you should definitely watch the show you should watch the show the show the show is fantastic unless i i really really liked the last of us man um i really really really liked it And I'm actually curious because we're still a year away from season two.
Starting point is 01:31:26 It's not coming out to 26, right? No, it's this year. It's this year? April. April is season. Oh, it's in a month? Yeah. Shit.
Starting point is 01:31:37 Yeah. Color me, stupid. There you go. So this is, this is, I'm excited for that show, man. I love that show. I can't wait for season two. So, um, okay. let's see um all right oh i did the first thing i looked up it's it's coming and i guess in a recent interview
Starting point is 01:32:00 bella ramsi says that she was diagnosed with autism after the first season oh wow and then that actually opened up a lot of things for her word or for them to they they fully understand themselves now okay um darth vaters burnt asshole the argument made for the rousseau's could be made for Tyker, bro made one bad movie with Taika. Okay, bro made a bad movie with the rest being beloved and now no one wants him. No one wants him is not true. Now, if you're talking about, if you're talking about fans, if you're talking about fans, then maybe fans have turned on them a little bit.
Starting point is 01:32:35 That's, that's true. With that, because that always happens. He's getting hired and working all the damn time. Plus that movie made almost a billion dollars. So he also has other things to do. Like he was, he, what he had, uh, time bandits as a, TV series. He's still working on what we do with the Shadows.
Starting point is 01:32:54 Like he's got a lot to do, so he's fine. He's just not really being involved in the MCU right now. So a lot of us, you know. Yeah. Armada, Daredevil rewatch incentive, other Netflix shows. Well, I put a poll up in like over 5,000 people voted they wanted us to watch it. So maybe I got
Starting point is 01:33:10 to check that out. Eventually put that on the list now too. Because, but I'm telling you, if people don't tune in that first reaction of us because they wanted us to watch Daredevil season one on Netflix, if people to watch that, I am not doing episode two. I'm not doing what I did with Squid Game. That was like, I'm, I'm so
Starting point is 01:33:26 I want to finish Squid game and I can't because I'm like, oh, I got to react to it. Nobody's nobody watched those fucking things. Like 3,000 people. It was like, Dancing Dog 60, Cat Newton and Sidney were both in a bad martial arts film called The Martial Arts Kid. When both of them are kids, Newton had a
Starting point is 01:33:41 larger role. Interesting. I didn't know that. Let me not go watch that. Dancing Dog 60. First, film you saw in a theater with nudity. I guess Titanic? Oh my God. Because that was what, 96, right?
Starting point is 01:34:01 95? It was the 80s movies, man. So like 80s movies, like there were boobs in PG-13 movies all the time. So I can't, I don't know, maybe vacation, but I didn't see it in the theater. I don't remember. I don't remember. I mean, I saw Commando in the theater. There's definitely moves in Commando.
Starting point is 01:34:17 I'm just trying to think of stuff that I remember. And so to my mind, I would have to guess Titanic. But I'm honestly not sure. But that's not the wildest one that I saw. The wildest one was going to see, and I did not want to do this, but going to see the Wolf of Wall Street with my mother on Christmas Day. And my sister and I knowing what it was about and knowing that Scorsese and DiCaprio, we're going to go for it.
Starting point is 01:34:42 And my mom not. And be like, oh, God, oh, Jesus. Why have I got to beat so many titties? just very deterred by the situation. Yeah, that sounds because your mom was there. She decided, we always go to a movie on Christmas Day. And so she insisted, she insisted on wanting to go with us when we were like, well, we want to go see Wolf of Wall Street.
Starting point is 01:35:03 It was not fun. Armada, gunning for that Daredevil watch so bad. I mean, it looks like, look, people, I'm going to, we're going to give the first episode a chance, uh, meaning reacting to it. And, but I'm telling you, I'm not going through the two people watched it thing and then watching the whole thing wasting my time and Sam's time, then your time. I'm just thinking of it.
Starting point is 01:35:27 Armada, ever seen movie Dead Calm and Nicole Kimman? Yeah, it's really good. It's really good. You ever seen it? Good. Dancing Dog 60. Is the Purge franchise dead? No.
Starting point is 01:35:38 No, you'll see it. Wasn't there a show recently? Maybe, but you'll see it. You'll see it again. Go, pal. Man, no recognition of the rock at all. Winston was a baby, but I thought Christian would get it. I love The Rock, but I, dude, you got to remember what I'm doing these too, like you
Starting point is 01:35:52 have the conversation. I don't know it as well. I mean, I know it well. I like it. I like the movie a lot. It's Michael Bay's best. There's no that about it, but to the quotes, yeah, it's going to go over my head for sure. Uh, Alex, Winston, who do you want in the MCU that we haven't seen? Character character. He wasn't specific, so I say, say character. Okay. Um, character that we haven't seen in the MCU Mr. Sinister I stand by that I think it's a very
Starting point is 01:36:23 interesting villain so definitely Mr. Sinister if I'm just going to do actor two you get a bonus the Keith Stanfield he's good I think I think he would bring something very interesting to whatever role they put him in so I'm going to say the Keith
Starting point is 01:36:45 Stanfield what we do in the shadow, Sally just had its last season. If either of you watch it, I highly recommend Best Ensemble in a while. I have not seen it, but I hear nothing with good things. I never saw the movie. But I heard good things. Yeah, saw the movie. Love the movie.
Starting point is 01:37:00 Never seen the show. It was good. Joyous Romer, may the Force be with you guys. Any Star Wars Tate? No, I did hear something Marvel-related, but I can't say anything. Sir. No, I can't say anything. Sir!
Starting point is 01:37:13 I know. This is all I'll say about it. This is all I'll say. There have been a lot of reports about something. And this is not, and this isn't, you guys are going to be mad because you're going to get nothing from this. But there's been a lot of reports about something recently. And the most recent report of that something is not true. And the original thing is probably more true, if that helps.
Starting point is 01:37:38 Okay. I have a guess, but I won't say it because I'm not trying to get you in trouble. Yeah, that's all, yeah, that's almost said. Epsilon Audio. What's up, guys? Sending in some support from my boy Winston. Who do you think is going to eat it in the Stranger Things finale? To me, it's 11 and will.
Starting point is 01:37:52 11 probably. I think 11. I think 11 and Hopper. They already teased Hopper. I think that if they've been teased before, Steve won't eat it. Hopper won't eat it. Dustin could.
Starting point is 01:38:08 That would be devastating. Commenting. Moana 2, Mandalorian, and Grogo. If they turn Disney Plus pitches into glossier TV movies with box office marketing for theaters to the same for the Punisher. Huh. Hmm. If they turn into those.
Starting point is 01:38:24 The Punisher doing a special for the Punisher. Right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right. Yeah, I mean, I still stand by something I was saying, we were back in your studio. Yeah, but he's saying, why not make a Punisher movie is what, because I think that they're trying, because there's some things they're aiming at, particularly for TV, that what, that was designed under IGR's regime and then there's other ones
Starting point is 01:38:49 that Bob Chepic just threw everything. He goes, let's make everything streaming. He's like, what are you doing? With an IP there like that, you make that a damn movie. No, I get it. I was just going to say that my I stand by if you have Disney Plus
Starting point is 01:39:04 there should be some sort of situation where maybe they do, again, a limited run and if you have it, you get X amount of like tickets that you can go and see it on big screen. And I would, that would be one of things you go see go see punisher on the big screen uh punisher punisher punisher all right let's see
Starting point is 01:39:21 next one here and let me get this yeah yeah okay and that is joey peddress have either of you read the kevin smith superman script i thought it was great i hope he gets to work on a future dc u film i didn't read his but i remember reading j j abrams back in the day and it was like and lex luther turns out to be cryptonian i remember people lost their minds
Starting point is 01:39:41 that is uh his what you're supposed to hurt you the box right the twist at the end is that he he flies off at the very end and you're like what the hell that's yeah i haven't read it i i feel like i have read a scene or i've like seen a video where somebody was reading a scene of it but i haven't read the the full of kevin's script no uh go pal lekeith reminds me i need to go back to judas and the black messiah soon great movie great great great great great movie i really like It's, uh, dancing dog 60 favorite Looney Tunes character. Bugs Bunny, man. Best comedian all the time.
Starting point is 01:40:18 It's probably, it's probably bugs, but I'm not going to lie. There's something about Foghorn, Leghorn that is fucking. I used to do a Tasmanian devil. I'll say, I'll say. I used to do a Tasmanian devil impression. I don't know if I can even do it anymore. It's just, I don't remember.
Starting point is 01:40:38 Dude, the roadrunner and coyote as well. To do all that with just silence is also fantastic. Good. All right, Winston, I'm going to tell you, right now, we've come to the end. And I'm short. You are at 63, my friend. Damn, we were close. You were about 30 a way to tie.
Starting point is 01:40:58 30 a way to tie. And look, this has happened before. Look, officially, you still got like about 12 minutes left on the clock. And we're on the post ambles. So if there was ever some time, if everybody want to throw in a one, a $2 question or just the support, I appreciate it. And we close. Well, right now, go check out Winston on the Swaggy Bird. Please check out this show.
Starting point is 01:41:22 We're on every day. And we've had a lot of the, if you haven't watched your reactions with Sam, please do so. As I said, we're on Apple Podcast. A lot of reactions coming out, a lot of things going on. So make sure you do that. Go and check it out, guys. I appreciate you being here. you to everybody um we got one more here dancing dog 60 Sydney Sweeney or
Starting point is 01:41:42 Catherine Newton as far as acting Catherine Catherine Catherine Catherine Luke's Sydney uh looks Sydney attractiveness Catherine Newton I don't just not I'm just not very attracted to Sydney Swinney I understand I understand what you're saying Stephanie Litts wheel of time season three update it's more Dune than Game of Thrones I haven't seen Wheel of Time. Oh, huh. What's your, what do, I don't think I'd know Wheel of Time. It's on Amazon.
Starting point is 01:42:15 Is it a Lord of the Rings thing? No. It's on, it's, it's a based off a book, a bunch of books. It's Rosamund Pike. And I watched the first episodes. I mean, we've finished doing it. So, oh, there you go, Mike Joyce. Hey, guys.
Starting point is 01:42:31 See any new movies lately, Winston? Hmm. Um, uh, new, no, but I had decided to go back on a, on a Tarantino rewatch recently, just personally and not, and not do any content with it. I forgot how much I love reservoir dogs. Like I already really, like, Pulp Fiction is one of my top ever. Yeah. Uh, but reservoir dogs is so good. Have you seen all Tarantino's movies?
Starting point is 01:42:57 Uh, everything except for, I didn't finish once upon a time. I need to do that. Oh, so good. Uh, go pal. Did you see everything sucks on Netflix? Which one's that? Is that the one where they're kind of doing like the talking head situation? It's similar to like when they did death to 2020 and all that.
Starting point is 01:43:16 Is it like that? Armada, Rogers to Pittsburgh? No. Did that happen? Oh, God, please, Jesus, no. You let me know. Corn Emperor, when will spill the tequila become weekly? So I am actually talking to Roka about that right now.
Starting point is 01:43:34 now we were supposed to speak yesterday and I think we both got busy oh my god oh he's visiting the dealer so it's not official yet he is definitely talking to the front office though I really hope that doesn't happen but you know we will see I think you should retire um but I'm talking to roca right now hopefully we'll be able to have a conversation later this afternoon and then that will be something that we're looking to do is to have that be a regular thing dancing dog 60 thoughts on the starship troopers reboot wait what really you look at me see take a look at that and see if you see that pop up uh go pal sydney was in it before getting big which in what which one um okay i guess it very much is the thing after announcing a hell diver's movie sony is now
Starting point is 01:44:17 officially rebooting starship troopers this was four days ago oh wow okay i mean yeah i can see them do that i can see that now it's been it's been long enough armada adolescent show on netflix you're going to watch is that is that another joke adolescent it's another joke okay joey pedrus christian winston Have any tips about writing scripts with a writing partner? I believe you worked on some. You got to find the right partner that you vibe with. You got to come up with a structure that works for you guys. You got to be able to bounce back and forth and keep your schedule.
Starting point is 01:44:47 That's the main thing, is schedule. I've had two big projects fall apart just because life got in the way, and we did not figure the schedule back out. So like any habit in life, you know, if you don't find a way to stick to it, then it'll kind of, but the ones that have worked well are because we kept on top of things. Okay, next one here. And that is Dancing Dog 60. Speaking of Tarantino, why did Grindhouse Tank marketing?
Starting point is 01:45:13 Just at that time was, was also, I know it was two movies together. Did the runtime be almost four hours? Essentially, they're both like two hours apiece. Yeah. That'll do it too. That's hard to get people to stay in. Go-bye, everything sucks is set in the 90s in high school. Oh, all right.
Starting point is 01:45:27 Yeah, I don't know anything about that one, go, pal. Jesse Pye, watching along with Sam makes me so nostalgic. It reminds me of what made me fall in love with the MCU. I think they still got it in them. I do too. They just need to find their way, Jesse, I agree. But yeah, watching with Sam has been magical because she's just so, and I don't tell her anything about it.
Starting point is 01:45:45 She does no research on anything. She has no clue what's going on. You got to watch her Wanda Vision reaction. It's great. Is it really? It's great. It hasn't aired yet, but when it comes out. Dancing Dog 60, are you watching Celtic City on Max?
Starting point is 01:45:57 Good stuff. I haven't. I haven't been. I know, I love a good sports documentary. I just don't like. like the Celtics so it's hard for me to want to sit down and watch that uh epsilon audio top five tarantino for me pulp fiction kill bill volume one jango and glorious once upon a time i would move um i liked i put jango at five for me no where's
Starting point is 01:46:20 reservoir dogs oh i don't know i'd have to i have to row you and then and no uh in glorious bastards pulp fishing kill bill volume one i don't know that's that's hard it's hard to rank right now but like yeah it's hard to rank because reservoir dogs would be in there for me i would have um inglorious maybe up a little bit i would have once upon a time up a little bit i think once upon a time is brilliant i think it's brilliant i need that's all i need to finish it before i can fully answer but i would probably go pulp fiction jango kill bill reservoir dogs and glorious bastards currently as it sits good go pal i remember the i ruff feeling from full Freeman Redo and Will of Time, I think, starting in the third book, so it makes sense.
