How's it going, everybody.
to the Christian Harloff show. It's the Capes and Cowes edition. And today we are going to be
talking about Spider-Man 4. There's a new rumor that says there's a lot of different
billions. There's a lot of billions all over the place. And there's some villains too.
So we'll talk about not only that, we'll also discuss the fact that there is going to be a street
level. This is going to be a street-level Spider-Man apparently. When has that changed?
Well, we'll discuss that and more. It's myself and Winston A. Marshall here on this line.
edition. So let's get to it, everybody. You ready? Me too. Okay, good. Perfect. I'm going to stall until
I find the logo on my OBS. I'll be able to do it soon, eventually, and here we go. Welcome back,
ladies and gentlemen. It is indeed, Christian Harleaf Show, Capes and Cows, myself, Winston A. Marshall.
Winston, how's it going? I'm excited to be live again. We haven't done this since the SDN live days,
So it's cool to get back to, back to form and to really realize I got to watch my mouth.
Because I remember when I came on Collider Live, you were like, you just swear, but maybe don't.
And it's kind of been that progression.
Yeah, it's just a matter of what I, well, the reason why that came to be some people ask them why.
Look, sometimes we all let F bombs slip here and there.
But like I've gotten many people who have reached out that have children that watch this show that listen to this show when they're in their car.
They're taking their kids to school and all this stuff too.
So we're not going to try to turn it into a complete G-rated show and even PG.
But sometimes, look, there will be stuff.
I mean, hell, some of our sponsors in general are not necessarily kid-friendly,
but we try to do our best here.
We have a lot to talk about Winston.
There's tons of things.
And, you know, what's funny is that you haven't been around this week,
but the way that we've been doing this is that we're never bringing,
there's never going to be a Shmobot, never doing that ever again.
I hate it.
I want to physically fight it if I could.
but I mean it paid for all you guys so we'll say that but
but what I will say is though what we wanted to do is when for each episode that
we do we go through all our main topics and at the end if the audience wants to get
involved in they throw in the super chats and at the end of it we we discuss all
them so Roku and I have been doing this for six months and he's been doing really
really people like asking us questions and doing that and the other day he had like
43 questions of what it was so he was deemed the champion for having 43 questions
Roxy did not like that.
And on the next day, she made it very clear she wanted to throw in Roca.
And they're throwing him, she did.
She stands as the current champion at 47.
So she's got 47 questions.
I had yesterday.
Steph had 15 on Wednesday.
I had 16 by myself yesterday.
So we'll see if you're going to come in dead last or if you're going to take the title today.
We'll see.
I mean, look, I'm just going to put this out there right now.
I mean, if y'all want to really Rosa Parks me and put me to the back of the bus,
go ahead, go ahead.
Don't do that.
Don't do that.
It sounded like we need to hit a solid Fitty, man.
Hip Hop just turned Fitty last year.
We'll see.
Well, we got a lot.
And we have a lot to talk about, man.
There's tons of stuff to go on here today, and we're going to discuss it.
And that's this first one, man.
This is a new rumor coming out.
This new rumor claims to reveal that several villains are considered for the now postponed
street-level story.
Rumor has it, Spider-Man 4 will no longer be a street-level story.
But according to a new report, Marvel Studios was
considering some fan favorite villains for Spider-Man's delayed team up with Daredevil.
So I might get sad here.
We might go back to the fact that it's not a street level.
Original plans called for Spider-Man 4 to be a street-level story revolving around Peter Parker and
Daredevil teaming up to battle Mayor Wilson Fisk.
Ant Man was expected to factor into the story and the movie was eyeing at 2025 release date
until last year's strike cost chaos in Hollywood.
Now the movie is expected to swing into theaters in 2026.
Smack bang between Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Seeker Wars.
Peeter Parker will supposedly be the former lead actor, so a simple street level is no longer going to work,
especially if doomsday ends with the destruction of Earth 616 and the creation of a new battle world-like reality.
Yesterday, the Cosmic Circus reported that the plan is for Spider-Man 4 to revolve around Peter and Tom Hardy's venom teeming up to battle.
Null? Is that it is? Null?
No. God of symbiates, as he looks to envelop the multiverse in darkness.
The site has since shared new details on what Marvel Studios was considering for a movie that once looks set to be,
a sequel to Daredeville Born Again, which also no longer works,
following a creative overhaul,
and the fact that season two won't begin production until later this year.
Apparently, multiple villains were being considered for Spider-Man 4,
including the Magia, Mr. Negative, Spencer Smith, the Scorpion, the Prouler,
answering, it said Marvel still intends to tell this story,
but might have to meet a bit longer.
Destin Daniel Cretton will direct Spider-Man 4,
while Spider-Man No Way Home scribes Chris McKenna and Eric Summers
are returning to write the script.
No official details have been revealed.
So anything you read should be taken with a pitch of salt.
It's still fun to speculate.
The simple interest I always wanted to,
we've seen that quote a million times over.
All right, Winston, you see this, man.
Yeah, let's go first reaction on the fact
that it looks like it's not going to be street level.
Your thoughts?
I don't love that.
I really don't because I think one of the things
that we have realized is that
there's nothing wrong with having
high stakes, but like if we were just talking about this just from a, like I told you earlier,
I had an audition this morning.
One of the things that like a coach will always tell me as far as just like storytelling
that makes sense, if you spend the entirety of the scene screaming, you have nowhere to go.
So it gets boring because you're at the same level the whole time.
What I'm starting to find a problem with the storytelling of the MCU right now, which is why it
makes sense that Fige was like, let's take it to street level, but Sony's like, but we want money.
Not that, you know, Faggy doesn't.
We're constantly at this cosmic, the whole universe is collapsing level 24-7.
The variance 24-7.
And when you do that, the stakes never have an opportunity to raise, to change.
You need a moment of respite so that those moments feel like a big deal.
Yeah.
So if we're immediately going back into, like, I could have dealt with him in New York.
he's doing his thing and he runs into Daredevil.
That is still street level and having that one cameo is not going to be crazy.
But if now immediately he's thrown into hanging with the Fantastic Four and the Avengers
and like the battle world is showing up in Doomsday and all that.
Like that's a lot.
And I just want to see Spider-Man be Spider-Man.
Most of the things that he does is, uh-oh, the rhino is robbing a bank.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
It's too much.
Yeah, it's too much.
It's too much.
And I really feel bad for Tom Holland in this situation because he doesn't get a chance to do that, what you just said.
Garfield got to do it.
McGuire got to do it.
He didn't get to do it.
He's in this big blockbuster, over the top franchise, which if you look at it, this goes back to my point that I've been making of all these franchises.
And ultimately what I think Alien Romulus did well, that Jurassic World is not going to follow suit with, which I thought they were.
And it's kind of more of a bummer.
is that they have, I just don't understand, like, business-wise,
and I still would love to talk to an executive about this,
because I never really understood this.
You've got these, like, IPs that have, you know, so much value on them,
like a Spider-Man, a Jurassic world, all these different things.
And I know that talent sometimes is, the actors that you get could bring in a lot of the budget,
and that's why, right?
But what I don't understand sometimes is why they don't do this thing where it's like,
okay, you have a, you have this big IP that's going to get people in there.
Spend the money on your marketing.
Spent, do what basically what Alien Romulus did.
You got people in because it's alien.
People didn't know, I mean, people, oh, that, that girl,
Kaylee Spaney and all the other actors in it were really good,
but then didn't really stand out people.
And to do stuff like that, and like the Spider-Man's different.
It's obviously connected to the Marvel machine,
but the idea of being able to bring it down a little bit, you know,
scale it down.
Like let us see the actual,
the bare bones of who Spider-Man really is,
as now he's trying to live in the city,
how are they going to continue that on?
But the problem is that what Sony has barely no success with,
they're really going to be hoping on Venom,
and it doesn't surprise me this rumor that Venom and Spider-Man
are teaming up.
Who cares about that?
I love Tom Hardy, but who cares?
They're saying that in terms of what they've developed
as far as this,
Venom character. You're not talking about
because if you're talking about the idea of
Spider-Man and Venom teaming up, I have
a thousand percent. Sure. If we're talking specifically
this iteration. I'm talking about this iteration. I'm not talking about it because they haven't
it. He hasn't been earned
in the MCU as
a character. They've tried.
They tried with Tofer Grace and they've
try, you know, it's more comedic
in like a 90s thing. It doesn't fit
in the same way and it's going to be. And so
I don't care. I don't get excited about it because I'm not excited for the
third movie.
And I hope it's good.
Why not?
But I don't know.
They've planted seeds.
And I think what they were potentially going to do is I didn't necessarily see him based off
of how they did it and just brought Tom Hardy in for 30 seconds in a post credit and then left part of the symbiate.
I was thinking that they were going because they made Flash such a major character in the MCU iteration of Spider-Man that we were going to get Agent Venom.
If you're not familiar with that, Christian.
At a certain point, the symbiate isn't with Eddie anymore.
Depending on which world you're talking about,
sometimes the symbiate leaves him.
Sometimes it's like kind of a spinoff part of it like we saw.
And then bonds with Flash.
And Flash is so obsessed with Spider-Man as we've seen him do.
And he wants to be a hero himself.
He actually becomes an agent of shield as Venom.
He like gets the symbiate himself.
And instead of like all the tendril stuff that he still does that.
But like he's pulling out guns.
and he acts like an agent of shield,
but with the symbiates.
So like if that was what we were going to go for
and maybe it's the two of them having to deal with Ned
because there's always been the rumor
that Ned might go evil like he does in the comics
as far as being the hobgoblin,
all of that could be very interesting.
I guess, but I mean, all,
so combine all of that.
The problem is right away, as we just said to open it,
it really takes away from Tom Holland
getting to do his own thing
because you've got to team them up now
with movie star Tom Hardy, right?
Yeah, but that's why I was saying you don't do Hardy.
No, I know, but even,
But even, but if you, but they're going to.
And that's, that's what it looks like right.
And that's, that's, I'm saying on the report that we have right now, what it actually is going to look like.
That's what it's going to look like.
And this is, this is a Sony thing.
Look, we have had taken our fair shots at Marvel in the way that they've been running things over the last couple of years.
And, but they have been trying to put things back on track.
And we gave them their flowers, if you will, when they redid, um, Daredevil after seeing what it could be.
They're not second-seasoning shows that weren't working.
They're making a change, and they're trying to move things.
So the fact that they want this street-level thing,
and Sony is pushing on it because Sony needs a big blockbuster budget,
$1 billion hit.
They need it, and they're not going to get it.
They don't think they're going to get it with the street-level Spider-Man.
I don't necessarily know if that's true because it's still Spider-Man.
The name is attached.
But it does, it also probably changes the way that Kevin Feigy and the crew
want to design where Spider-Man goes,
because they got to now attach it to, you know, the Avengers movies and all that.
So the question then goes, and I'll ask you this, do you think that this isn't, this doesn't
seem like if I'm Kevin Feig, I'm like, okay, well, sign Tom Holland up to another movie,
and the deal is that we get him for a street-level thing.
We just won't do it first.
We'll do it second after this all over.
After we blow up the multiverse and get rid of all of it, then put Holland into play for one last
movie of Spider-Man, then he can pass the baton to Miles Morales.
Yeah, I mean, I think that that would be the smart move if you can work.
out that deal. I will say, I think, you know, obviously you've been a, a married, very happily
married man for a while. You know, I'm practically married at this point, but the one of the
I don't know about anymore. I'll tell you what. She's going to knock me off my own channel.
The people, the people. That's because of you were on trap. I saw, I saw you all watching.
People like her better than me. She's going to take over this whole thing. She's course she is.
Of course she's going to take over all people. Every other comment. It's like, yeah, every other
comment.
It's great.
I need to see your reaction on it because I saw that this is not what we're talking about right now,
but like I have such mixed feelings about that.
Yeah, you should watch your reaction.
Sorry, go ahead.
I say all that to say back in our bachelor days, you know what I'm saying?
Like, if you reeked of desperation when you went up to try and talk to a girl,
you made stupid moves and you came off as creepy and you came off as desperate.
And Sony's constant push to be like, we've got to make this spider-verse thing happen.
And we got to make it big.
And Toby worked and Andrew works.
So we put them all together again.
And then we get the venom.
And then the sinister six.
Oh, my God.
And then Madame Webb comes back.
I know it was shitty, but we're going to bring that back.
It's going to be amazing.
It's going to be great.
Like, you sound unhinged by in desperate trying to force this.
Because they can't get anything to work without Marvel, without their help.
They know that if they had the MCU attached, they can make some money and put some,
and so Rothman is exactly what you said, just desperate saying, we need to do this.
We need to do this.
we have to do it. I think it's a bad move. It's not that the movies can't be good,
but the teaming up, but it does seem like, it's almost like speaking a trap that
Sean Malon was like, hey, we could get a, we get an actress to play the singer. Hey, wait a minute.
I'm going to put my daughter in it. His daughter is his niece. Daughter.
His daughter. Okay. She's, I'm going to put my daughter in it. Why? Well, it's going to save
us some money plus it's my daughter. So I'm going to, I'm going to do that. That's what
they're doing with venom. You know, it's like, it's like they're doing with Tom Hardy's
venom. They're like, you know, he's like, okay, fine, we'll put our our venom. No, no, put our
venom in there. Why? It's not because it's Sony movie. We want it. It's part of the deal.
And you're like, oh. So. Because I, it was funny, because I was thinking to myself when I was
watching that, regardless of the familial relations specifically, it felt like he wrote that whole
movie for her. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Again, not to make this a whole trap conversation, but
the number of performances that they really just focus on her being a pop star because she is a musical
artists, it felt like he wrote that for her. And that's what it feels like Sony is trying to do
right now is to shoehorn the thing that they really, really want when everybody else is like,
what if we didn't right now? Like, what if you just take a break and we will get back to this?
You've got to build the stakes again. We haven't earned them right now. That's 100% right.
So I don't know, guys, what do you think? You think this is silly, the street level thing?
And we didn't really talk to the villains. I mean, I guess we got, let's,
let's do that before we want it the next story because all these names that came up
in that they were it it all went over my head i don't know who any of these people are so um in the same way that
the al foundation last week for a batman whatever was uh the quarter of al's so
yeah oh man's greatest enemy pita yeah um yeah so tell me tell me about some any of these villains
kind of stand out um um can you do you mind bring in back i know obviously put me up here
but can you bring back the story sure sure i mean and i think that a lot of the up that's a different
story uh well you know what the hell with it we'll go back to it somebody if people want to ask
the question about they can talk about the villains i don't think anybody cares there's more about
the street level thing we'll stick with this one because this is going into speaking of keeping
people around and kelsey grammar confirms the conversations about returning as beast following
the marvel's cameo kelsey grammar reprised his ex-man the last stand role as hank mccoy for
the marvel's post-credit scene and the actor has now confirmed that he has had conversations about
returning to the MCU. While an X-Men reboot is finally in development, Marvel Studios has brought
several actors from the 20th Century Fox now defunct franchise back to reprise their respective roles
in the MCU. Most recently, Hugh Jackman returned for Deadpool and Wolverine. And we also saw
Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Kelsey
Grammer as Beast in the Marvel's post-credit scene. In The Stinger, Monica Rambo wakes up in a medical
the lab after getting trapped in an alternate reality following her battle with darbent to find her late
mother maria by her side rambo's overcome with joy but maria who is actually this world's binary
has no idea who she is as monica's confusion grows a familiar voice says how's our patient and a comic
accurate fully cg.i take on hank mccoy aka beast enters the room grammar has previously said
that he hadn't heard anything about potentially returning his beast but now it confirms he has
had some conversations though he couldn't go into much details nothing that i can talk about
the Fraser Star sells comic book movie sorry comic book.com.
What do I know is that what I do know is that there was a huge sort of outburst
when I showed up at the end of the Marvel's.
I guess it was a response was almost, it wasn't unexpected.
There'd be some response, but it was pretty overwhelming.
And so there's been conversations.
And no plans are always subject to change in the MCU.
Marvel wouldn't have reintroduced beasts for this particular scene
if they didn't intend to bring him back at some point.
But we still don't know when we'll see him again.
Avengers Secret War seems most likely,
but there are rumors that he will show.
up before then. Okay, so this kind of ties into another story that we covered, I think I covered
yesterday, that we can combine into this and the report was essentially the rumor was that Wolverine
is not going to be in the MCU movie, the new X-Men movie that is coming out. There will be
no Wolverine to start the X-Men franchise. And at first, I was like, hey, what are you doing?
And then I said, it's actually pretty smart, if you think about it. I think it's very smart.
If because the whole problem with all the X-Men movies previously was that you only relied on him.
So you got to a place because Hugh Jackman became like, you know, the Mick Jagger of the whole thing.
And then so when you got to days of future past, it's like, well, what do we do?
Well, you got to make it about Wolverine.
It's got to be because it's Wolverine.
He's the star.
So if you build up these X-Men first, these characters first, then by the time you introduced the new Wolverine, give him some time.
And you can marinate and let the X-Men be.
your whole franchise for the next 10 years.
That also couples the fact that you're going to have Hugh Jackman
signed and rumored to play Wolverine again,
probably leading up to Secret Wars, right?
Now, that also makes sense to why Beasts would come back.
I look and even somebody said in the comments right now,
I thought they were going to get rid of,
they're going away from all these characters.
I think because they're in this spot right now
leading to where they're ultimately going to just destroy this whole entire
multiverse and put it to rest after the end of secret wars you're gonna you're gonna
basically do Deadpool and Wolverine on steroids is what you're gonna do with all these
different characters and it's not gonna just be you know the the the characters
from the Fox universe can be anybody that you can put in there anything that you
can do it's gonna it's gonna be huge so Kelsey Grammer coming back doesn't
surprise me at all and some of the old and Patrick Stewart will probably be back
and they'll probably have tons and tons of people that aren't come back
for little things here and there.
But you hear this.
What do you think about Kelsey Grammer coming back?
I mean, look, I actually really enjoy his take of Bees, to be honest with you.
I'm not saying that I don't like Nicholas Holt.
I do.
But I think that Kelsey's was a little more on, was more apropos in the sense that,
excuse me, the beast that I know is both the one from X-Men the animated series in 97,
that's quoting Shakespeare and things like that.
It is the one in the comics that, like, is still very cerebral as that goes.
And he gets insecure, but he's not shy.
Nicholas Holt's take was always very shy.
And I still thought that he did a great job for what he did, but it just never felt directly right.
So having Kelsey Grammer come back, I enjoy what he does in that regard.
I'm here for it.
Like, that's totally fine with me.
If speaking on what you were talking about yesterday with no Wolverine, I also think that that is actually very smart.
it's not because Wolverine isn't
a fan favorite character
that people like of course
but like you mentioned
I think the big fatal flaw that the X-Men movies
had you kept centering it fully
on him right when part of what makes the X-Men
so interesting is that all of the characters
are interesting like I understand you
you killed off Cyclops and last stand
because he was golf to do Superman returns
So he didn't he was like I'll do it, but I need you're gonna have to write me off somehow and that's ultimately how Cyclops got killed
But like I didn't really have respect for Cyclops typically I always liked Warverine a lot more
I always like Gambit a lot more but like seeing what they did with them in 97 and and seeing the character that he is in the comics if you if you ever read
Avengers versus X-Men Christian I mean I remember there wasn't a I remember the video game was there was there was there's been games with that happening but there was a
comic that came out, I want to say, within the last
decade. Okay. Somewhere around there.
And essentially what it is after
mutants have had to deal
with the House of M, so
you've got no more mutants situation
and all this stuff going on.
Ultimately, the Phoenix Force is coming
back to Earth. The mutants think they can bring
mutant population back by
getting the Phoenix Force and the Avengers are like,
the Phoenix destroys planets
and the universe, no.
And so the two of them start fighting because the
mutants are like, we need this to save our people.
and the Avengers are like, it's too dangerous.
And so you end up in a situation where Cyclops is so hell-bent on saving the mutant rate,
he becomes a villain and he becomes very interesting.
That is, that whole arc is incredible to see him become essentially the villain because he's tired
of mutants being picked on.
I want to see stuff like that.
I want to see beyond Wolverine, oh, I love Gene, another person died.
Like, I love Logan.
Right.
Give me so, there are so many more stories to explain.
100%.
And also, by the time, because the X-Men of America,
improve and look at the time when x-men in 2000 came out it was the first introduction to it and you
got to go big or go home in 2000 and so you've got to bring in wolverine for the first one right
you're so established in the comic book genre right now in general and wolverine is so
established plus the fact that's going to be so hard now that Hugh jackman's still going to play
the role a little bit longer and he's probably going to have a bigger role in in the avengers and
you're going to see him team up or go back you know it's like go to wrestling it's like you always
wanted to see the rock and hogan you always wanted to see stone cold and whoever you know they always
wanted to see like the legends kind of build up with one another you're gonna get a chance to do that in
secret wars you know what i mean you're gonna see like wolverine the huge jackman teaming up with somebody
or you see some kind of him and thor together is you all right it's amazing and then you put it to rest
and you give some time to marinate you introduce the new x-men when they come in and then wolverine
comes in on the second movie the third movie and you don't rush it
I have a question for you.
Just to further kind of
I could be wrong here because maybe
you don't feel this way, but taking the
solo Wolverine movies out
because obviously that's just
focusing on him. Yes, Mutant's X-Men.
What would you say
is your favorite or top two favorite
X-Men movies?
Well, not fair. We just did
it. Actually, Matt Surrey just launched his channel
and they did a whole thing,
the X-Men movies from worst to the best.
and they were mentioned they were talking about first class is one of my favorites
um i love first class because it actually it's one of the reasons by the way and i've told you
i called you or texted you immediately after transformers won and told you how much i love that movie
you know how just to sidetrack i'll come back to this point real quick about transformers one
how funny and ironic is this i you and me hated that trailer so much hated it and talked about
how horrible it was going to look and not only do i wind up loving it and i went up doing a reaction i
I got tagged.
The official Transformers won
Instagram account posted my reaction.
I was like,
and I'm like,
who would have thought in a million years?
They probably would be like,
I figured Optimus Prime would be waiting for him
at my door.
What were you saying?
Shut up.
And it's like,
now it's,
it is pleasantly surprised.
But the reason I bring that up
is because of the origin
and the way that it kind of,
the way they played it with the lore.
And that's why I like first class.
But that and probably days of future past
in X2,
are probably the
So the irony of all ironies.
So first class,
you have nothing but a cameo
at a Wolverine.
A very great cameo.
It was a perfectly used one.
Hi,
we're putting together a team.
Go F yourself.
Like genius, right?
Days of Future Pass.
Yes, we are using Logan
as our main perspective
and he is who we are using
to travel in the past.
But it is such a focus
on Mystique's feeling of
like betrayal
with both Charles and Eric.
And it really,
is more focused on mystique and Jennifer
Lawrence than that kind of whole path than
essentially Logan trying to stop her so
that they all don't die
and then the last one you mentioned was X2
again Logan is still at the center of it
he's walking around with Rogue and I'm talking
about X-I'm talking about X-Men movies by the way
not like solo with like Logan would obviously I think
Logan out of this is my favorite movie out of all of them
so that's not like an X-Men I intentionally
asked for us not to use that just from
the same point of like obviously
yeah it's based any X-Men and the team
and stuff yes
And then in that, like the storylines that are interesting are like essentially seeing the whole situation with like my favorite part of X2 as I did a rewatch up to Deadpool was Storm and Nightcrawler, which we've seen a number of different times in different iterations having a conversation about being a mutant and all that.
And, you know, you have Storm who keeps her composure but talks about a lot of times in that movie and other iterations about being not just a mutant but being a mutant but being a mutant.
black woman and so the hate that mutants get and the anger that she has and the night crawler who looks
like a literal demon talking about trying to you know i get it but people are human and trying to have
like compassion and empathy and all like those are the moments that become really interesting to listen
to and watch and it's not to say that wolverine isn't interesting but you know what i'm saying like
that adds an extra layer other than just the same story we know about logan constantly right which is still
good, but if you hear
the same story over and over again, you eventually
kind of get tired of it, you know? I totally agree.
So I ask you guys, what
do you think about all this stuff?
What we've been discussing thus
far, and of course, how the X-Men
will play out. What say
you? Put your thoughts in there. Got to
hear about these things. Winston, you're currently
at 8, man. You're at 8. You're about
in order to get out of last place.
A lot away. Well, in order to get
out of the last place, you've got to beat Steph at 15.
So we'll see if we get you at 15. But you can
least do that. So we are at 8
for Winston at the moment, but this is some good
ones. But before we get into
our next topic, because we've got a good one about the penguin,
because the first reactions or first reviews, rather,
for that show is out.
We're going to discuss that.
Winston, you've been used, I know you, same with me,
you use Rocket Money all the time,
right? I do.
Yeah, Rocket Money is,
it's the shiz, as they say, in some parts
of France. And it is, it's
a personal finance app. If you guys
don't know what it is, you basically,
these subscriptions, you don't want to have
the unwanted subscriptions you don't even know about.
And it lets you know if you had that,
it lets you know when you got to pay some bills.
It lets you know if there's anything going on in your account
that you didn't know about.
And it's been a game changer for me.
I just love it so much.
And I keep telling our audience about it.
And I think the best thing you want to do is you want to go stop wasting
money on unwanted subscriptions.
You go to a rocketmoney.com slash big thing.
And start your saving today, man.
It really helps out the amount of money that is saved per month
on this stuff is just, it's just game-changing.
Okay, and then the other thing I got to tell you about
are our friends that I've talked to you about many times over at LiquidV,
I should say, Liquid IV, here it is.
I was having a barbecue, the family, and I was going to go and went to pick up
some games for the kids to play, and I was picking up cornhole.
And while I was at the sports store getting it, I kept seeing Liquid Ivy.
And more and more, I'm so excited that people are learning about Liquid Ivy,
because I've known about them now for a bit since they've been on the show.
Liquid IV has refreshing summer flavors like Popsicle Firecracker.
It's a rainbow sherbert.
It hits the spot when you need transformative, hydrating relief.
I really do enjoy it, and it's great to have liquid IV.
It really is, and I love this Popsicle one, so I'm showing it right now.
You can choose from their line of sugar-free flavors.
They have raspberry melon.
They have white peach.
They have green grape.
So what you want to do is you want to tear, pour, live more.

All right.
Thank you to our friends over at Liquid Ivy and, of course, Rocket Money.
I get messages all the time.
People are signing up doing these things, getting something that sounds good for you.
And if you do, make sure you do it and sign up.
All right, Wednesday, we're going to move on to this penguin thing.
But, yeah, man, we were doing, we did the reaction because I never knew.
My wife even wanted to do it.
put me in there and I did a poll of the people that they wanted to see and obviously
Sarah and her did the best as far as who they wanted to see because to be fair to my friend
Samantha Samantha and Tina they don't know who that is yet but my friend Samantha speaking of
comic book movies she has never seen I think she has seen a portion of the first Deadpool
she hasn't seen any X-man movies she's seen nothing so we she watched Logan with me and she had
no idea when I turned it on what it was even about she had no clue she didn't know it was
Wolverine she didn't know Hugh Jackman was in it she didn't know anything so her reaction for that
movie is just priceless it's it's priceless i can't wait that that's going to be in two weeks next
week is my friend Tina we did long that movie long legs which is a horror film and it was and which
i didn't we didn't know the nicholas cage was in that movie until about an hour and 15 minutes
into the film wow yeah we didn't even i had no clue it was him i thought it was john void at one point
wow yeah i was like is that john void and i'm like wait a minute
I'm pretty sure that's Nicholas Cage.
I had no idea.
I didn't see it in the credits.
I didn't see any of that.
So it's going to be pretty good.
Okay.
Let's get into the,
eventually we're going to turn this.
I'm not telling,
if there is any indication of how that reaction went today,
in a year from now,
this will be the city of Harlov channel.
And that's fine by me.
I mean, look, man, again,
I'd rather look at her than me anyway.
Your wife is a very charming person.
I'm not surprised that the,
the world was like, I mean, that's where your kids get it from.
Yeah.
That's literally why your youngest is the perfect blend of, of like, sweet and talking to me.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah, what did she say today?
Oh, hilarious last night.
She says to my wife says something about, I don't know, she's eating her, she's eating
a burger.
My wife goes, don't put that much ranch on him.
My little one looks up to her.
She goes, come on, stop yucking my yum.
was back to the way.
There's a point in which I just can't believe you.
And I know, I mean, I do.
I know what you mean, because it's just so, it's just so crazy.
Yeah.
It's so, she is so adult and it almost feels like what she's doing is like she maybe does it.
Like she's very smart.
She maybe like, does it fully get what she's saying?
Oh, she knows.
Onglox it well enough to know exactly how to use these phrases.
Yeah, she does.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
And I asked her, I said, Macy, how don't even know that?
goes school. I'm like oh okay.
Everybody gets to her. Anyway. I think the reason it's funny to me is the you know,
whenever I've interacted with Macy, she's only ever really talked to me when
Kristen was around my girlfriend. Yeah, right. Yeah. Otherwise she's just like,
that's everybody. That's everybody. She likes, she she likes Kristen because Kristen's like her.
She just says it as it is. Um, so anyway, all right, let's get into some more stuff here.
And this is the penguin. Uh, this is a,
Highly anticipated show.
People are excited for this.
Obviously, we know why.
The first wave of reviews for the penguin have been counted,
and a rotten tomato score has now been generated.
What is it?
And how does it compare to the Batman?
Here is the answer.
The review embargo for the penguin lifted earlier today,
and that means that we now have an all-important rotten tomato score
for the HBO Max series.
The Batman spin-off was originally conceived as the first of a slate of Max's executive TV shows,
set in the Matt Reeves Batverse.
Project set in the GCPD and Arkham Asylum didn't pan out,
leaving the penguin to bridge the gap between the Batman and the Batman, too.
As we write this, the penguin sits at 91% based on 32 reviews from what we can tell.
The vast majority of critics were given access to the entire eight-episode season.
With that in mind, it's unlikely to be a bait-and-switch akin to secret invasion,
which dipped massively in quality after the first two installments were offered for a review.
For context, the Batman is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with an 85% score,
while Gotham, which also explored the Penguin's origin story, sits at 77 based on five seasons.
We don't know whether they'll plan this for the Penguin to get a second season,
particularly when DC Studios has its own DCU plans.
Elseworlds or not, these rival projects do interfere with, to some extent.
After all, James Gunn, who attempts to incorporate the Arkham set series mentioned above into the DCU,
faces the challenge of releasing the Brave and the Bold around the same time as the Batman 2.
comparisons and creative overlaps will surely be inevitable.
I think that is it a painting that's cast.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so, was someone crapping on endgame?
Or is that in the, is that in the comment section?
You told me not to look at the comments.
Oh, yeah, it's good. I'm glad you didn't.
But I saw someone says, hey, we're making fun of end game.
Don't make fun of end game.
Don't make fun of end game.
It's like my favorite.
You more better, but I think I like end game.
I think end game is my favorite out of all of them.
Yeah.
Who's making fun of endgame? Stop that.
Okay. So let's just to stick with the penguin here, Winston,
and this is another story that I covered yesterday,
and we're talking about is that they asked Colin Farrell if he wanted to come back,
and he said, look, I love playing this character,
but I don't want to sit in four hours of makeup anymore.
I don't really want it.
It's like, it's like, I've sat around saying,
he's like, look, I'll admit I was a pain in the ass bitching
and whoever would listen to me because it was just so hard to do.
Now what I also said to counter that is, you know, let's see what A, the reviews are on the show,
B, what the ratings are like, and see how much money they offer him to do another season before
he's going to say, I don't want to do it anymore.
So that that all can change on his perspective.
The thing that landed for me was that the same reason this whole thing started in the first place,
is that James Gunn wants to take care of the stuff he's taking care of.
He was going to greenlight Joker 2 and make sure Joker 2 went through because it's going to make a ton of money for the studio.
so he'd be stupid to cancel that.
The Batman had just come out and was people loved it and wanted to see more.
So he's like, okay, we'll do all swirls with it.
We know that has a chance for success.
Let him do his second movie.
Let him do his third.
They were supposed to do an Arkham Asylum thing.
That didn't happen.
They were supposed to do more.
The season two will potentially still happen if the ratings are as good and this is,
and if they can get Colin Farrell back.
But it will start to phase out eventually because it will conflict with what guns trying to do.
Don't you agree?
Yeah.
I think it will, honestly.
I feel we've expressed that people can potentially separate things out one way or the other,
but I almost feel like once the ball really starts to get rolling with the Batman
that is meant to be in Guns universe,
it either needs to be so drastically different than people can tell,
or you almost need to get ready to wrap that up.
You know what I'm saying?
So I don't know if you want to fully extend that out.
I agree with you as far as Colin Farrell saying, I'm not going to do it again.
If he gets all the awards and all the money, that is, unless he's like, I'm starting to ramp down my career, which, you know, and I don't think he necessarily, because like Jim Carrey, for example, said that he's said he's done with Hollywood.
The exception is a lot of because he actually really enjoys that film.
He loves doing it for the little ones in his family.
And that that role brings him a lot of joy.
But he is done with Hollywood.
He's made that very clear.
Well, he's doing Sonic 3.
But still, that's what I'm saying.
Robbins is the only thing that he will do.
Yeah, he's two things here and there.
But like, but this is different.
This is just, this is recency bias of somebody who is just like,
it's traumatizing to sit in a chair for four hours looking like that and being and having to act like that.
And I mentioned this on yesterday's show.
I was a big soprano's guy, as you know.
And I was watching the David Chase documentary.
And they were talking about like James Gandalfini and just being the lead of a show in general.
and all the stuff they have to do in the range of emotions,
how it's just taking that home with you all the time.
Well, couple that of being a lead with the show,
of wearing extensive makeup for four,
to be in a chair for four hours, plus to go,
and this is not like a funny, lightheart,
you know, he's not playing fat bastard from Austin Powers here.
He's playing, you know what I mean?
He's like, you can have fun in that.
He's probably still a pain in the ass,
but at least you're laughing, goofing around.
This is a mob story where you've got to go in dark places.
And that's, and the difference was,
he had a substantial role in the Batman,
but he wasn't the focus.
So, like, you probably had all of maybe two weeks at most on set for that movie
versus shooting an entire season of, or limited series, I think, is what he wants.
But shooting an entire season of this in those process, oh, my God.
Like, I honestly can't imagine what that does to your psyche, like you said,
both the actual performance and the chair.
So the four hours to then go and be a piece of shit.
Yep, I hear you.
And then, you know what I'm saying?
Every day, man.
So I get it.
It is something that can take a toll on you.
And I don't blame him if he really is serious about it.
But I think if enough accolades, enough money comes his direction, that he would probably reconsider.
Of course.
Yeah.
That's a no-brainer.
That's a no-brainer.
But it's a matter of, I think the James Gunn's side of it is where, you know, in the long run,
how long does it stick around? Two seasons, three seasons, maybe two leading into the Batman.
So that makes sense.
All right, sticking with D.C. We got more here.
And this is, there's so much with this lanterns thing lately.
So much.
It really has been, bro.
Lanners reportedly enlist the end of the effing world director, Lucy Chenieric.
The upcoming DCU-Landard series is rumored to have unlisted, enlisted.
I can't speak.
the end of the effing world director, Lucy Chenerec, to helm an undisclosed number of episodes.
Well, you know, what?
Nothing.
While we wait, a word of which actors will step into the co-leads of John Stewart and Hal Jordan in HBO's upcoming Leonard series.
We may know who has been enlisted to direct some of the episodes.
Stephen Williams is believed to be in talks to direct the pilot, but, of course,
According to Daniel Wickman, Lucy Chineric is also in negotiations to helm an undisclosed number of episodes.
She directed Sunny, Station 11, and the end of the effing world.
Josh Brolin was offered the role, but we learned that he had passed Ewan McGregor, Matthew McConaughey,
Chris Pine. We're all in contention with Pine expected to get the lead offer if Brolin declined.
We don't know if Pine is next in line or not, but the trades believe that McConaughey is not in the mix.
I mean award-winning lost and watchman creator Damon Lindeloff is working on the pilot,
alongside with Ozark showrunner, Chris Monday,
and comic book writer Tom King.
Production is set to commence in Q1 of 2025.
Nathan Philly and Sky Gardner will make his debut in Gunn Superman
and is expected to have a supporting role in the series.
Okay, so what do you think here?
This is something where...
Look, Snyder and the trades were going back and forth.
Snyder said there's no world where Chris Pine gets it.
I think Chris Pine is a perfect cast for it.
I think he's perfect for it.
He said there's no world for it.
No way it happens.
He still says McConaughey's in the mix.
So I don't know.
I don't know about as far as who gets that particular role,
but this director,
they're putting together a knockout team of writers,
directors, showrunners.
I mean, they're going full force with this.
The credits for all of these people,
they're coming to play.
They're not just coming to make something to,
they're coming to play.
Well, I think this speaks very specifically to guns,
weight in the industry.
I think there was a lot of people, most of them just haters because they didn't necessarily
want to see Snyder's vision go away.
But there were also people that were just like, I don't vibe with what the guardians were.
And so there were people that were like, really, him, like as far as what's going forward.
But I think this just goes to show at least as far as the creatives that are, see gun in this
position are geeked out to step forward, that they're all like,
breaking their necks to be like, yeah, how do I get to be a part of this?
And then the exceptions to that, like, you know, Brolin passing,
I didn't read the story on why he ultimately did.
But for the most part, everybody that has kind of been offered something like this
has been like, yo, when do we start?
You know what I mean?
Like even the fact that you have the rumor of, you know, Pratt being like,
yeah, if we got something that works, I would love to, you know?
So I think that this Lantern show was going to be fire.
I don't know this director personally.
I'm not, I didn't see the end of the effing world, so I'm not, I'm not familiar with her work.
But if you're this excited about it, then I got to give you some credence because very rarely do I disagree with your taste and directors.
Yeah, I mean, we don't perfectly align, but like I trust you when you say, hey, I, well, they're just going after quality, man.
They're just, I'm not, I can't, I'm not going to tell you that I'm so familiar with everything that she's done, but I can tell you that the stuff is whether it's critically acclaimed and that it's, it's like what we've said many times over.
What's your team? How you build an act your team? And does your team put together the vision that you want?
And if you're not like gun who's not directing this, knows what he wants, right? And says, okay, look, I know the guys to get, the girls to get to make this thing in my vision.
And this is what I've been talking about. And here's my Star Wars thing that I bring up at least once an episode, right?
And it's like where you should call people in the room and go, okay, here is what we have envisioned.
This is where we want to go with the story. This is where it ultimately is going to go.
We're going to start here. We're going to move here. We have this, this. This one.
want to line up. Here are the projects that we want. We really liked what you did on your last
movie. We liked what you did in your last show. Do you think that you can do this? Yeah, I think I can do this.
And the take that I would have is this, this, this, this and this. Well, that's great. We want to do that.
That's some creative new things that we hadn't thought about before as opposed to, well, I'd actually
like to do this instead. Well, we even thought about that. Okay, do that. Do a movie about
a purple Jedi flying around with a, and then who knows? Then pizza can come out of the years.
Oh, that sounds great. As long as it works, cool. Sign it up. And this is what James Gun is not doing.
He's saying I know exactly where I want to go.
I have an idea of what I want to do.
And look at this team.
Look at these people.
And I want it true detective style.
I want it darker.
I want to do this.
I need to set up Nathan Phelian a little bit more and put him in the show too because why wouldn't he be in it?
Of course he would be in it.
He's one of the Green Lantern.
So he would be in it.
Everything so far sounds like a win thus far.
It just depends on how the execution is.
No, I agree.
I mean, I think the one thing that we've probably all come to the same.
conclusion about for if you're going to take over a blockbuster franchise and especially
one specifically tied to IP you can't just have an executive you genuinely need this person
to think the way that you would want like say the the leader of a country to think I'm not
necessarily going to put my full hand and everything but I'm going to hire literally all the best
people tell you what my vision is yes and you tell me how that happened exactly a hundred
100%.
Sorry, I can't do that.
Oh, you can't do that.
Oh, I'm so sorry, Siri.
Well, then, by all means, F off.
Why did Siri get involved?
You didn't hear that?
Why did she get involved?
I don't.
She was just telling you that she cannot delegate.
You know, and neither apparently can get them.
But that's not that's a point.
Siri's been farting, too.
But I think that's the thing.
I really, other than I enjoy guns work, it really feels he's giving me the vibes that Figey did at peak MCU days of here is my vision and what I want to do.
Let me get the best out there.
Let me go find the Rousseau's and the Googlers.
Yeah, I know where I want to go.
Let's take collaborators.
Let's take collaborators.
There's not somebody who's going to take and do things like rogue.
Let's have collaborators for the story and the vision of where we want to go as a brand.
They, to me right now, are in the lead of at least, look, as far as structure and plan, they're in the lead.
Now, as far as quality, we have no idea.
We haven't seen anything yet.
The superman can be a bust and who cares about a good plan.
Everybody has, as Tyson says, everybody has a good plan to get punched into the mouth.
So, anyway, what do you guys think, man?
Do you think that this is a good plan?
Do you think that Lannards is something you're getting more excited about?
Do you think that the idea of whoever they cast as Hal Jordan,
is that going to be a big thing and how they're going to cast John Stewart?
I feel it's going to be a major cast, especially with HBO Max backing it.
But what say you guys?
Okay, Winston, currently, we are, let's see, we're about 47 minutes into the show.
We're going to get to questions pretty soon.
You, my friend, you want to know a place you're in?
Totally right now?
I feel like I'm still in last.
I'm probably at like 13 questions.
You're in third place, man.
21.
You jumped over me and Steph, and you're now at 21.
I think there's, I think there was one particular person who made that happen,
but we'll go through it in a little bit.
Thank you, particular person.
You'll know pretty soon.
But we're at 21.
So you've got, but you've got about 45 left before you can take the title from,
from Rocks.
Oh, 25 left before you take the title.
I was like 45.
25.
Did Rocks again extra questions?
No, no, 25, 25 before you take Roxy out.
But we have a few more stories to tell before we get to those said questions.
So let's do it.
Constantine 2.
The producer says that the script is finished, and he's too scared to read it.
What?
Well, then fire that person.
The producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, who I've not been, as a person I've actually met,
and he's a sweetheart of a human being, but I've not been fan of him creatively with certain things he's done with G.
G.I. Joe and Transformers and other things.
but his name's on the new one.
Look, hell, Michael Bay's name is on the new one, too.
I mean, Lorenzo also produced four brothers,
and I'm not going to let you just throw that out.
Oh, God, but he produced that the damn web.
Yeah, come on, come on.
Anyway, shortly after James Gunn announced the first chapter
of the new DCU slate,
rumors began to circulate that a direct sequel to 2005's Constantine was in the works,
and Warner Brothers would later confirm that the project was indeed
in the early stages of development.
since then we've been conflict we've had conflicting reports to the movie status and since it's pretty much been radio since silence since last February it was generally assumed that the sequel had been scrapped however Lorenzo de Bonavent tour now revealed that the script has been completed it just needs work and he just needs the work to read it I can't speak right now
he's got to have the courage to read it you know it's in my inbox right now funny enough I'm too scared to read it though I want it to be good so bad I'll probably read it in the next two days when I got on an airplane
We know that a finish script doesn't necessarily mean that a project will actually enter production,
but we're certainly taking this as a positive sign.
As far as we know, Kenner Reeves is set to reprise the role,
the chain-smoking occultist with director of Francis Lawrence back on board to helm the film.
We're not sure if the sequel will be part of the DCU or an Elseworld project like Todd Phillips Joker movie
or Matt Reeves, the Batman Part 2, but John Constantine is closely linked to the swamp thing in the comics.
So there's some speculation the character could be reintroduced as the main DCU's JC.
The first Constantine received mixed reviews when it was released back in 2005,
but despite an Americanized interpretation of the magic wielder
and a few more liberties with the source material,
fans reacted well to Reeves' take on the anti-hero
and the movie has gained a strong following over the years.
How do you guys feel about Reeves returning as John Constantine?
Would you prefer if the sequel remained in its own universe
or folded into yada, yada, yada, yada?
Okay, so there's a lot here to discuss.
And the first part is, you know, for people wondering,
well, let's just address the thing of like, well, they have a script, so that means it's going to happen.
They said it themselves.
It doesn't mean it.
Lorenzo Devon Muntura could read the script in two weeks from now on the plane, whatever plane he's on, and go, this is terrible.
This isn't going to work.
Real talk, guys.
Let me just say, if you don't already know this about the industry until it is on the screen and you got your check, it's not a thing.
Or at least start filming, they start filming.
But even if you start filming, like the, the thing.
Back girl.
Right.
Literally the one,
the lesson I learned very early on in this industry,
I had booked my first ever pilot,
like early,
I was in the industry maybe two years.
And I was supposed to show up to the table read that week.
And the next thing I know,
I got cut and replaced by the lead's cousin.
Because he just wanted his cousin to have the role.
So he pushed me out.
There was another time that I was in a movie.
They reduced my role to a line.
like it happens all the time so until forget a script forget uh we started shooting forget we're in
post production until that thing is in movie theaters or on a streaming platform and until money starts
flowing like free leave did like trading this product it ain't a thing now i hope it's a thing because
i really like constantine and i looked up while you were reading the story lorenzo's history and he
feels like one of those like average players that you see he's a big he's a big name though he's been around
He's like the head of Paramount.
He's a big dude.
Absolutely.
Not head of Paramount, but you know what I mean.
No, no, no.
I understand what you're saying.
But I mean, like he, sports reference for, for you and me right now, he feels very like
an Eli Manning type situation where sometimes you're like, bro, what are you doing?
Yeah, well, he's never, yeah, but at least Eli, Eli had two championships.
I don't know how many championships he's had.
But I know what you're saying.
He's like, Transformers won.
You just said how good it is he produced.
No, no, no.
I didn't say, oh, Transformers this one, this one.
I thought he's the transformer.
He is a producer on it.
He is producer on it.
So his name's on it.
His name's on it.
I don't know.
I'm curious about how that plays.
But then all the other stuff that plays into it is very interesting, too.
Now, we'll go back to James Gunn.
James Gunn is going to be looking at this thing the same way and say, okay, if this script is really good,
why wouldn't I want Canter Reeves into DCU if I'm going to be able to eventually have him do something with James Mangold also?
And if he's doing Swamp Thing and put those two guys together.
I got John Wick to be in Constantine.
He wants to come back.
He wants to do it.
And he's going to be in my DCU.
I got Canter Reeves that wants to do this thing.
And people actually really dig it.
I feel like James Gun is probably a fan of that first movie.
It seems like right up his alley.
But the other side of it is like, you got to nail the script.
And if you nail the script, then I won't make it an Elseworld's thing.
If you can get, if you guys are going to go and produce it and I don't feel crazy about it,
I'm just going to make it an Elseworld's thing.
If I dig it and I like it, then yeah, there's nothing to lose.
in the way that you would have lost
if you're putting together, you know,
if you decide that you want, well, Aquaman did really well,
so now that whole stuff
and all the DC-EU stuff is now going to be canon also,
and it gets too confusing, messy,
you've got to just reslade it
and just do the whole thing over.
Constantine, you could easily make it part of your DCU
if you wanted to.
And on top of the fact that of all the characters
that actually traverses timelines,
universes, etc.,
Constantine because of just his occult, like magic element and everything,
is one of the ones that we have seen literally just kind of be everywhere.
Even though it wasn't super great,
the animated crisis on Infinite Earth that just wrapped up,
that was one of the storylines that they went with,
is that everybody else was kind of bent at the whim of the multiverse and time and space.
But there was one John Constantine, and he was just doing his thing.
So if you ever needed an excuse to just, why is Keanu here?
easy. That's a easy fix.
That's it. Okay.
So I think we've got one more story, and then we'll hop into questions.
And so you guys know, we take questions each and every live show at the end of the main topic.
We'll be here until the last one is finished.
So if you have anything you want to talk about in the realm of comic book movies or anything in general that you want to bring up,
you want to discuss three questions, and now we will go through them.
And before we even do that, I have discussed with you guys over the last.
last past week, General, and at Winston, I know you know it's football season, man. So we,
right now, I'm going to tell you guys about prize picks, and I've been discussing with you guys
about prize picks for a bit for the last week. And it's great. It's America's number one daily
fantasy sports app. It's got over five million active members. Prize picks is easy. It is the
most exciting way to play fantasy sports. It really is. Unlike other apps on prize picks, it's just
you against the numbers. And all you do is more or less you pick two to six player stats
projections and watch the winnings roll on. It's that easy. It's the best way to get action
on sports in most states, including California, Texas, Georgia. You want to play
prize picks alongside Druski, Joe Button, and MMHA, Shughey, well, you can find community
plays under the promo tabs of the app to view entries from some of the biggest names in the
prize picks community each week. Price picks embedded to the flex play, which means you can cash out
of your lineup. If it's not perfect, who cares? You can double your money, even if it is one of
your picks that doesn't hit. So share it with us guys and let us know if you're using this
and what has been working. For me, the reason I love it so much, it's just, it's easy. It's
super easy. And what you do is you just download the price picks app today. You use the code big
thing. You get $50 off when you play five. That's right. Use the code big thing on price
picks. Get $50 instantly when you play five bucks. You don't even need to receive the $50 bonus.
It's guaranteed. Price picks run your game. Now I am really excited for you guys to obviously
check that out and let me know. And as you've been letting me know about all these things I've been
telling you about and and the other thing that you have been writing me about and you've been loving
and I'm glad that you've been loving and of course that's the perfect gene and the perfect
gene is just comfortable it's just it's just comfortable have you tried these yet Winston
oh you got to try them out you know because for me it's like if you have there's 700,000 pairs
of nuts and they're rescued from bad jeans that's two that's two per dude then you know the
hero is on that one, Winston? Oh. The perfect gene. Because you say goodbye to stiff cardboard
denim and you say hello to comfort. Now, the jeans are really great. They fit like they were
custom made. They stretched like you wouldn't believe and they look fantastic. My wife, speaking
to her, she compliments me on these all the time. They have a massive range of sizes,
which people are always asking about, obviously, from skinny to thick, thick. They have that
waist sizes from 26 to 50 and lengths 26 to 38. So it doesn't matter.
If you're short, not short, they got it for you.
For a limited time, our listeners will get 15% off their first order plus free shipping at the perfect gene.
Dot NYC or just Google the perfect gene and use that code, big thing.
So it's time to stop crushing your balls in uncomfortable genes by going to the perfect gene.
Dot, nyc.
Use that code, big thing.
You get 15% off your first order plus free shipping.
Free returns, free exchanges when you use that code, big thing.
at checkout. Again, that's 15% off for new customers at the perfect gene.n. NYC. Use that code.
Big thing. All right. Happy for it. Thank you guys. Appreciate you guys supporting the show that way.
And Winston, let's talk about something that we have, I'm going to talk about it in a different
way because we bring up this character the last couple of times it's all a bit about controversy.
This will probably be controversial, but not in the way that you think. Bo de Mayo's talking again.
Yes.
Is he actually talking or is he just getting people to go subscribe to his only fans to see
receipts that only when you pay for them do you get to?
Probably both.
X-Men 97 showrunner Baudemail reveals an original Doctor Strange two plot including
a shocking character death.
Whoa.
We often share leaks and rumors here on comicbookmovie.com and appreciate that some of you,
well, you don't buy them.
It's fair enough, but there have been many occasions where they are correct.
Other times not so much.
Earlier this week, we shared a breakdown of an early version of an early version.
of Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
from Leaker My Time to Shine, H.
Sharing a link to our post.
Former X-Men 97 showrunner, Bode Mayo,
confirmed it was correct and shared
additional context. How is that
for a reliable source?
He said, correct. OG drafts did her
justice. Wanda was with Strange
recovering after Westview,
feeling bad about what she did.
She helps him.
Wong and Chavez beat
Nightmare Across Multiverse, where she
also sees her variance happy with her kids.
Still, Wanda resists, and she, not Chavez, helps Strange save the day against Nightmare,
who turned out to be a dark old corrupted strange variant.
The writer continued.
Also, she used her experiences in Wanda Vision to warn Chavez about abusing her power.
Wow.
Often after saving the day, unable to resist finding a multiverse where she can be with her kids,
does Wanda sobbing break from Strange and accidentally beheads Wong?
Holy moly, who tries to stop her from fleeing into the multiverse.
That was the film's cliffhanger.
Bro.
Yeah.
Well, this sounds like a vastly better story arc for,
Wanda, the death of Wong would have come as a huge blow to the fans of the character.
Then again, that would have been the point in a cliffhanger for this sounds a far more exciting
resolution than the rushed, messy way things played out for Stephen Strange and company.
In the cut of Dr. Strange and the multiverse of madness, we saw in 2022, the Scarlet Witch seemingly
took her own life. Chavez traveled to Kamar Taz to train and Strange's third eye opened
without explanations before he set off on a mysterious adventure with Clea.
DeMayo later pointed out that this draft made far more sense in each.
Even when she flees, Wanda is torn up by guilt in classic comic profession and keeps apologizing to Strange as she vanishes and leaves him with his dead friend's body.
We don't know why Marvel Studios pivoted away from these plans, though it seems that Michael Waldron is likely to blame.
Kevin Figey saw fit to appoint him the writer of not just this sequel, but both Avengers movies to creative pivot,
saw the executive turn to Avengers Endgame, creative team for help in writing a saga.
Many fans have felt had become a sinking ship.
COVID is also another factor
before the pandemic. America Chavez was going to play
a key role in Spider-Man no way home.
But all that time at home and several delays
led to big changes would ultimately might have been
the best so that you can read that whole
thing. So well just to start
this was
not an only fan's thing and him just
chiming in on Twitter.
I appreciate that because he got a lot of
flack for myself included where I was like
if you got receipts, I'm
here for it, but do not charge me
for the truth because that looks shady.
as hell. Yeah, that's what they're doing. But I'll tell you this. It just shows that, you know,
this goes back to where we were taking shots at Marvel and to go back at it. They were in a
spot right there where they were doing a thing. Look, I brought this up on this show, Winston,
7,400 times. Let me make it the 400, 7,400 first. When you and I were sitting in that
Thor, Love and Thunder screening, and they asked Fige about, well, you know, all your different
movies you've got the uh crime thriller you know the crime movie with uh ant man you've got the spy
thriller with the captain america winter soldier and so and so and so what's this one and he looked and
said this is a tycho a tini movie and i went oh no you you had like it wasn't a meltdown
but i felt all of the wind just fully get pulled out of your sales man yeah it was like i was
sitting right next to you and you went from like like
excited to see this and I'm curious what this is to oh because because that's a that's a
Kathleen Kennedy answer that's a let let them do whatever they want to do we have no
plan anymore and that's what the Marvel had done that has been so great and then so
this falls under that oh it's a Sam ramey movie let Sam do whatever he wants well here's a
great script that plays into it and look say what you want about Bo to Mayo and all the
controversies had the guy knows his comic book lore he knows he knows the comic book stuff so
when this was part of it, this story sounds tremendously better in the same way that, to me,
Colin Chavaro's stuff on the third movie that he was going to do for Star Wars,
sounded significantly better than what we got for Rise of Skywalker.
So this is a bummer, especially when none of this paid off.
And the thing that I love the most about it, the biggest complaint we had about that movie,
none of the writers, they didn't pay attention to Wanda Vision.
None of them.
And it's like, well, no one didn't seen it yet.
They had scripts.
They knew what was happening.
There's no way that if you were working on a collaborative team to tell a collective
story that you did not have access to the story that was being told for something else.
So that's either apparently a Disney slash Marvel is actually extremely disjointed and
now we need to have a different conversation or B, you chose not to.
And that's a problem.
This script, this like plot line sounds incredible.
And it actually sounds like Wanda's character makes sense,
not just in what we've built in the MCU,
but again,
one of the main story arcs with Wanda is she is just,
this is a human being given God powers
and how that can constantly just mess with you.
And so for her to once again get to a space of,
I really did F up in Wanda in Westview.
I'm not going to let that happen again.
I'm going to warn somebody else at it.
And then unfortunately, almost like she's most closely related, in my opinion, to the Hulk,
where it's all of a sudden your strength is just too much.
And you accidentally killed Wong.
And now the one person that was maybe your biggest ally and Tudor hates you because you killed his best friend.
That sounds fascinating.
It does.
It doesn't.
It's like I don't know what they did there.
And I bet you it's one of those things sometimes.
Look, Kevin Fagy probably has a lot of power, but sometimes you probably gets pushed around.
And he might have gotten pushed around there.
And he's a bit of a, he's a bit of a, of a Sam Ramey fan boy himself.
So if Sam was like, I don't know if I really want to do this.
All right, Sam, no problem.
And I think that was a bad, bad move.
But interesting.
I just, I, that, that actually really upsets me because I've been pretty vocal that, like,
I'm not a fan of multiverse of madness.
And it's because to me the movie feels dated.
And rushed and rushed.
It feels both.
It feels like you're trying to shoehorn in the Illuminati.
And, and you wanted John,
Crosinski is Mr. Fantastic because we've been talking about it.
And you put Xavier in like the classic X-Men animated series floating yellow chair.
Like you wanted to just get all in there.
Just do it.
And it just doesn't hit from it.
I know the people that love that movie.
I am not one of them.
Yeah.
No, I mean, it's a forgotten.
Even the people who love it, it's kind of a forgotten movie.
People don't bring it up a lot.
But anyway, what do you guys think about this new, these new revelations that come out about Dr. Strange?
Should they've just kept that story?
or look, sometimes mistakes need to be made
and we're getting back to a place
that I think that we all have a little bit,
it's more optimism for where Marvel's going now too,
so maybe mistakes need to be made sometimes.
All right, let's get to your questions.
Currently, we sit at 25 questions.
That's a good question day, Winston.
That's a good question day.
We've got 25 questions.
The record currently is 47 by Roxy Stryer.
And I don't give Mike any credit.
He was on the show too, but he didn't do anything.
Damn.
Yeah.
EWalk, in lanterns,
Gunn says that Hal and John will investigate an earth-based murder
and counter a dark mystery that ties into the larger story of the DCU.
Winston, any thoughts on what this dark mystery will be?
It's a good question.
It's kind of hard to say when you consider,
I don't even know where we're going with Superman yet.
And that is supposed to be our opening salvo.
You know what I'm saying?
I need to know really what part of the DC Superman.
Superman lore like where are we like where there's talks about the Hall of Justice I mean we're
already meeting guy Gardner and mr. terrific like it's it's too open-ended for me to even make an
educated guess um the only thing I could maybe see just off off rip without knowing it's way too
soon to do black uh blackest night so maybe it's like a parallax type situation and it's like oh man
people are running away with fear and they're dying in these horrible ways and maybe we find out that
like Sinestro or some sort of yellow lantern or parallax or something like that is is messing with
people and they're you know essentially killing folks I don't know I honestly have no idea
without any other context to the rest of the university yes same I mean it's it's one of those things
where it's similar where people like what do you think the story of the acolyte will be you know
when that comes out and we thought it was going to be this we thought it was going to be this
what the kind of a true detective story of the two partners going through the whole thing that to me
It sounds fascinating.
They didn't execute it, obviously,
but it looks like they're going to actually execute it,
or at least try to.
I can't tell you enough about the Lord to kind of guess,
but I can tell you that I'm excited about it.
If they actually do what they're saying they're going to do,
and it seems like they're putting the team to do this,
I think it's pretty interesting.
Because the other part that makes it hard is if you were telling me
that it was, maybe it started on Earth,
but this kind of went into the cosmos,
but it seems kind of quick to do that.
then I could make some educated guesses.
Yeah.
But if you're telling me it's Earth-based,
knowing that most of the Green Lantern stories
that I'm pretty intimately familiar with are space fearing,
and it doesn't mean that Green Lantern doesn't do stuff on Earth,
but they're space-related.
It genuinely is hard for me to make a guess.
Yeah.
All right.
Next question.
Staying with the Lanterns,
and this is Mike Joyce.
Would you be disappointed if Lanterns stand on Earth the whole show?
The description of it so far sounds like it will.
It's a show.
about space cops. Again, I think the same thing, what Winston just said, hard for me to say,
because I haven't seen it yet. You know, it's like, and I don't have enough to where I'm like,
oh, my things, I want to see them on different planets and doing this. For me, I'm really want to
learn about who these people are and what they do and what you can combine it all. Maybe there's a
couple things off world, whatever, maybe that eventually leads into it because this is not the first,
or that the last time we're going to spend with the Leonard Corps. We're going to be with them for
movies and other things too but it's the first introduction is them kind of showing their powers on
earth i'm okay with that i also could see this being a situation that is almost similar to say like
the bear uh not the storyline but the idea of like you know how in this uh both that very first
episode of season three but then like in season two um what's his name the black dude that does the
desserts like goes off to europe to learn how to do that but you spend most of the time in the restaurant
in the building up.
And you might also, excuse me, cut away to like the, the fish's storyline,
but it really just stays in the restaurant.
I can very easily see the show having a situation where it's like,
we're here.
We're in this earth-based mystery,
but you get an episode of John Stewart getting his ring and having to go to Lowe to, like,
learn.
And that's how,
this is how him and Hal got team.
You know what I'm saying?
Of course.
It allows you to keep it grounded for a while if you stay there to,
and then if you spin in this grounded place for a bit,
and then you introduce,
because once you enter,
what it's going to look like in space and all that stuff.
That's it. That's it's it's it's a majority of it's going to look like,
or at least has to match.
But it looks like the tone of this entire DCU is going to be similar, but we'll see.
Okay, next question.
And we got B. Be Gill Studios, B.G.I.L. Studios.
Hey, guys, I wanted to let you know that I'm currently working on a new iteration
of my own superhero cinematic universe, starting with our main character, the Dragonfly,
which the first film begins rolling this Sunday.
That's amazing.
Congratulations.
that's really good i love that i was starting a studio damn well you're going to be starring in a comic
adaptation because uh wicked art has he's almost he's going to be i think he's going to send me the
full thing when it's on either i don't i think probably early 2025 is when the whole thing's going to
be done he's going to send us me and then once we do that we're getting the whole crew together
to do like a two hour um two two and a half hour are going to read out the whole thing put music
on it do all that probably i'll probably even run it live so people can comment and stuff
it's cool it'll be great sounds great yeah um
Marshall Weeks. Hey guys, I just got tickets
to see Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal
performing Othello on Broadway. That's
pretty awesome. I didn't know. What is that?
Whoa. I'm here.
That's what I'm saying. That's going to be
sold out. That's great.
Wow. Do you know Othello's
my favorite Shakespeare?
I mean, not
not for the obvious reasons.
I do actually genuinely
love the character of Othello and all of the
nonsense he has to go through
the loss, but but Iago is
such a fascinating.
A fascinating here, but what?
So obviously you would assume
Denzel's playing Othello, but
Gyllenhaal can't be playing Yago.
Too young. Too young.
No, that was,
I understand because Othello's supposed to be the young
upstart and then here comes.
Yeah, Yago, well, they're supposed to be like the same age.
About the same age. I get it, but I
always thought, and it's been
a while since I read it, I always thought the whole
I guess the answer is who cares.
It doesn't matter. I think that those are two very talented actors
and no matter if their age is that off?
The answer is who cares.
Yeah.
It's who cares.
You got Denzel, Washington,
Jill and who cares?
And they're both perfect for both those roles.
Heroic hideaway.
No one is cool,
but that's a buildup, like Thanos again.
I want street level.
Do we all vote with our wallets
if we don't want a world ending movie?
No, because the thing is,
I'm still interested to see overall
because it's like this.
As Winston and I mentioned earlier,
as long as they signed,
Tom Holland up to eventually do that and get that whole thing.
And that's not a guarantee.
But it's like I, you guys know, if you watch any of the stuff I thought, the idea of a
real multiverse, the idea of quantum physics and how that all time and consciousness,
it's fascinating to me.
I think about it too much.
I want this to end for Marvel.
It's sloppy.
It hasn't worked.
It's too much.
Let it be over with and going back to telling stories.
So do what you have to do.
Do all your stories you need to do to do.
to end it and end it well.
But no, I still want to, I want to see how it ends.
We've been with it that long.
We should, we should stick with it.
Yeah, I just,
Noel is an incredibly fascinating character.
And within the world of doing this Venom trilogy,
it kind of makes sense, where, where do you go?
Who's going to be his ultimate bit bag to close it out?
But trying to shoehorn that with a Spider-Man and Venom that haven't really had a chance to meet yet,
I don't, nah, I'm not here for it.
Yeah.
But yeah, also, just really quick, I googled it.
Well, real quick.
Iago is supposed to be younger because you remember he is his right-hand man
and he thinks he's going to get the promotion and Rodriguez gets it.
That's why he gets so pissed off is he's like, so you don't pass me up?
And then he's like, you know, so anyway.
Okay.
Well, that makes sense.
All right, Winston, you got about 17, oh, 18 left to go.
18.
Okay.
Mad Sinister McCall.
I had beef jerky and Mountain Dew for breakfast.
Congratulations.
Oh, God.
It's you.
Woo.
He's, so I don't know.
You haven't been on our live streams.
He's like the Brett of the Super Chats.
Some of the stuff that dude says, it kills me.
It's the best.
I was going to say, if he had a trip to the bathroom for lunch, my Jesus.
I get very excited when I see that Mad Sinister McCall is Toy.
He always makes me laugh.
Lugie Sherry, love the show, and I can't have my guy Winston be in the back of the bus.
So he's $4.99.
Thank you so much, sir.
Thank you, sir.
Okay, next question here he is.
Matt Sinister McCall.
I want to do movie reactions on my channel, but I don't want any copyrights.
This is a real question.
Any tips and what editing do you use?
Winston, will we ever get a live-action Omega Red?
So let me answer the first part first, and you think about that.
So the answer is that there's a rule to do it.
And basically, you have to, like, that's why every movie reaction you see, they're cut up,
where you can only use certain rights to do it.
It's still fair use and you can use it up to where you can't run it for a certain amount of time.
Because once you do, then it'll tell you when you upload your video.
I had to cut a bunch of stuff out of the borderland stuff last week because there was some stuff that went over just a little bit.
And I have editors who work on it and they do really good job.
So, yeah, this is a, that's basically how you do it.
You just got to follow the rules on it.
But you can get around it.
It's to that point, it does make the editing for it.
nauseating
because it is
typically the rule is you get about
seven seconds of continuous
footage. Right.
If you go even a frame above seven seconds,
that's when the algorithm catches it
because it's not a human doing it.
It's there, it's whatever AI algorithm
that's monitoring it.
Yeah.
So to that point,
the one thing I can give you
is a small piece of advice for that
and then I'll answer the Omega Red question.
If you're using Premiere, for example,
if you do the whole right click on speed and duration,
on like that clip that you have there it will tell you how much you have the number of times
when i was doing like my x-men 97 reviews that i would do that to go damn i'd say like eight
seconds where do i whatever that that's kind of the way you have to do it um as far as omega-red
i hope so but again you need wolverine for that and if we're not going to use wolverine for
while it's going to be a minute before we see omega-red yeah um okay so next question
so al rencia thoughts on tua and you're not
think you should retire.
When I saw that, okay, so I thought he's meant David Tua, the boxer.
Who are we talking about?
Tua Tua Tagavela.
He is the starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins.
Oh, right.
So a few years ago, he had three concussions.
Oh, right.
One that wasn't listed, but he had three concussions in like three weeks, four weeks.
And when he had the third one, the official second one, he started doing, I can't remember
what it's called.
It's either like gesturing or whatever it is,
but essentially his finger started locking up and his hand.
And that is every neural doctor that's been speaking on it online
and things like that has been saying that that is an immediate sign of brain damage
that he was either knocked unconscious or anything along those lines there.
So last night, this is the kicker.
You know who DeMarne Hamlin is, right?
Yes.
Okay.
And I know who two is.
I was like, no, no, no, I was kidding.
My brain's been doing stupid things.
The first thing I do is go to David Tua.
And you're like, he's the quarterback from my name.
I know.
So the irony of all ironies is
DeMar Hamlin tackled Tua when he went for a run.
And Tua doesn't do a good job of giving himself up.
So he tried, he put his head down,
ran his helmet into Hamlin's chest.
And Tua ended up with a very serious concussion
where he started gesticulating again.
And he just was, and he has to,
you got, because even one concussion really leads to
permanent damage are going to be really, really dangerous.
The fact that you've had four and essentially 18 months is insane.
You've already made millions.
Hopefully you have it blown all of it already.
I know you want to do it for the glory.
I know you want to do it to like have that generational wealth.
Just get out while your life is still there.
And the only other thing I can say is they have this new guardian cap that you can put on,
which does help with that head trauma.
It should have been mandatory for him to be able to continue to play.
He has to wear that thing.
I don't know why that wasn't a rule for him.
but I think he's got a retirement.
All right.
Next one here, and this is from I am Jack's 12.
Like Star Wars and the OG characters,
time for X-Men to move past Wolverine.
A great sandbox to play in.
Where to start first.
Does it have to be connected?
I think, yes, it has to be connected
because you're part of the MCU,
so it's going to be connected.
Now, they're not going to move past Wolverine.
Let's be clear about that.
They're not going to move past him.
They're just not going to start with him,
nor should they.
And I can tell you that when I heard the report,
I'm like, what are they doing?
It's the first reaction.
What are you talking about?
Because you've been so locked in to Wolverine.
He's like the staple guy.
It's like the franchise guy.
And then you're like, well, no.
The only reason he is is because if you look at like X-Men 97,
you look at the way they built out the characters.
Some episodes when Wolverines just, you don't even know he's there.
Because it's not, it's not, it shows how rich the characters are.
So does it need to be connected?
Yes, it needs to be connected.
Absolutely.
I think you have your moments of him with Gene, admitting that he,
loves her and because she's been in essentially in a coma and she's a little confused.
Like you have those moments.
You know what I'm saying?
You have the moment at the end of the first season with Magneto.
I won't, for the rare number of people that are watching this that haven't seen it.
Like that those are important moments that Wolverine is a part of.
But at the same time again, how much more fascinating was it to see Gambit?
Right.
And to see rogue torn between two lovers and then grief.
How fascinating was it to see Jubilee and Sunspot and what they're going through.
To see Storm go, like, I just want to see stuff outside of Wolverine.
And that doesn't mean he's not around.
I just don't need him in the spotlight.
And when you put him, but you can give him his own thing after you've been missing him for a little bit.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
You know what I mean?
So like you'll, and it doesn't put a lot on that much pressure.
And that's the other thing we didn't talk about.
You do an X-Men movie.
And this is after Hugh Jackman has done.
Secret Wars and you do an excellent movie. Now, you know what they're going to be talking about?
Who's playing Wolverine? It's the first thing they're going to say. Not who's playing Cyclops,
not who's playing Wolverine. That's what everybody's talking about, right? Already. Who's playing
Wolverine? So they cast Wolverine and they don't like him. That's all they're going to be
talking about. If he's not in the first one, they're not talking about it. They're talking about
everybody else. So when you find out then the question in the way that they didn't put
Joker in the first Nolan Batman movie. You know, they put him in later on. And
Now, granted, different villain and stuff, too.
But my point is that by the time you teased him at the end,
you're like, oh, when you finally get him
and they finally, they established new X-Men that they get,
when you finally meet the new Wolverine,
it doesn't put as much pressure on the actor
that there would be in a new movie.
You'd have to carry the whole movie by himself,
and that's not fair, and he shouldn't have to
because Wolverine shouldn't have to do that.
Okay, so this is the next one here,
and that is Armada.
Talk about shaking the multiverse.
Sharon Sharp going hard on IG.
Did you see this?
Bro, yes.
Wait, did you see my favorite tweet about the whole thing?
Because you're in New York now.
So maybe you heard that we had an earthquake.
Yes, it did.
I did.
My favorite tweet was the show the facility, it's the sports show on Fox Sports.
Emmanuel Ocho is one of the hosts of it.
And he goes, hey, I just wanted to clarify for everybody.
That actually wasn't an earthquake in California.
Shannon Sharp was just on IG again.
I mean, is he, is he married or have a girlfriend or just somebody random?
It's bad kids, but no, no, no, he's single.
He talks about it a lot.
And, man, what kills me?
Are you doing on purpose?
Look, there are theories that he did.
I don't think, I don't think, I don't think so.
But I also wouldn't be like, I just, that that's a, that's a very dangerous risk.
A hundred percent because, yeah, right.
That and then get fired from because he's making, I think.
Well, not even just get fired, but like, you could get fired.
But like you could get if there's not consent behind it.
Well, no, no, no, for sure.
I mean, on that too, but I would assume if that happened that he had spoke to,
to, I'm sure.
About about about what it is.
But I'm saying, brutal.
Talk about blacklisting yourself from any corporate job ever again.
And like, again, he has a good job where I think he's making like 120 million over at Disney working for ESPN.
Yeah, right.
He's going to throw that out.
So you could.
And his podcast and everything too.
So yeah, he, it was a mistake.
I agree.
All right.
This is what gave you one of the boost here.
The great Aisha Kenya.
Hey, what up, girl.
She writes, we.
And then the next one, she writes, is can't.
And then number three, have.
Number four, Winston.
Five, five.
Sitting.
It's funny.
The is the next one.
And then I'm sure we're going to get a couple more here.
Back.
Oh.
Well done, Winston.
Look at you.
And dub us.
She finished with Dub us.
That was wonderful.
So thank you.
So she got you.
This is why I love you.
That was amazing.
She gave you a nice boost.
But still, even with that, you're 32.
I mean, you're kicking ass.
I think you're in third place.
You're in third place.
You're doing good.
So you still, again.
I don't think Roxie's title's going away, but still you showed yourself as a contender today.
Let me at least pass rope.
If I ain't at least pass rope.
Here's what Roxy would be nervous of if I was her.
You're doing this without Koi.
That's a good point.
And Koi comes back in.
That's a solid point.
Francisco Lopez.
With the Wolverine news, I don't mind.
He won't be in the first X-Men movie, but I do have a problem if Jackman comes back
because Wolverine after Secret Wars.
I want all new cast members for the X-Men.
I couldn't agree more.
That's 100. You cannot have him pass that.
I mean, if that's the case, that's dumb.
That's dumb.
It's also just from the standpoint that Wolverine doesn't age with the exception of
once you hit the old Logan story.
Jackman, as much as I love him, is getting up there.
So you can only pull this off for so much longer.
And I'm assuming we want the X-Men around at least for the next decade.
Yeah, let me see a young Wolverine, man.
Let me see like, you know, that just, you know,
I guess 100 years old or 2.
hundred years old Wolverine, whatever he is.
Let me see that.
All right.
Nick, why has Marvel been doing nothing with Haley Steinfeld?
She's a young bankable star who was perfectly to lead a franchise in the MCU,
but after the Hawkeye show, it's been nothing for her.
Well, I think what they were trying to do is that if you saw at the end of the Marvels,
they were hoping the Marvels was going to be a big hit because at the end in that post-credit
scene, it was basically they were setting up for the Young Avengers.
But I think smartly they backed off on it because I just don't think that that.
that's a thing that's going to play right now she's wonderfully she's a super talent she's a super
talent she's also a very good voice actor not only was from the spider verse movie she's also
the main character in uh in arcane you watch arcane right dude you don't watch arcane
i don't even know what that is i feel bad that's crazy you would you would you would that's
dude you start watching that today because it will be oh i've heard of this i haven't seen it
This will be, this is you to a, this will be one of your favorite shows.
Okay.
You will, this is his animation.
I guarantee you, watch one episode and I guarantee you I get a text to you.
That's 100% on rotten tomatoes.
Dude, it's phenomenal next level stuff.
The second season comes out this year.
So catch up on it.
So you should do a watch long.
You should actually do a watch long on your channel, but it'll probably do very well.
Because you, this is, this is Taylor made for you, man.
But she's, she plays the character of V, and she is.
great in it but she was great in bubblebee she's great in a lot of stuff and she's
finding arrow in whatever that thing was the hawkeye whatever the stupid things um hawka uh as arrow
as shooting arrow same shit uh the question is just it's the same reason that they haven't
done anything with simulu i know that's a little different because he tore his ACL but like
they genuinely felt like they were starting a plan then kind of remix the plan but then
realized that didn't work and then they were gonna move forward with one more plan and now
since they've had to fully revamp everything she's not done right and neither is simu but they just
they just they got to wait they just got to wait until they figure out how they're going to go about
this so she'll she'll get she'll be back and there was rumors about uh talk i season two moving forward now so
you know there's there's there's there's she'll be back yeah um okay so wincing you're only
but you're only what like eight away from tying roca that'll piss him off you know i'm immediately
texted just to harass him Tyson Ackerstrom what a week Tulsa king agatha penguin and wolves is that's all
that's all this coming week huh yeah that's a lot that's a lot so i'll be watching all those actually
wolves is coming out wow that's a lot that's all stuff that i Tulsa king season two i will be watching
100% agatha i'm going to tune into i don't have high hopes for it but i'm going to tune into it
um penguin for sure and wolves i'm actually really excited for wolves which one is wolves that's the
movie with um with brad pitt and uh george cluny yes okay yeah apple apple movie oh yeah this one makes
me really sad i saw this this morning john hurwitz uh rip the dutch chad mcqueen dutch from uh from
karate kit uh herwitz posted said he was almost in season six which i would have would
have seen that for sure but i i don't know did they say how
I don't know how he passed, but I'm not sure what happened.
But, uh, he was, Dutch was, Dutch was the touch, Dutch,
was, like, young Kiefer Sutherland when he was in that stuff too, man.
He was, he was, he was great in karate kid, man, just great.
R. AP, that's terrible.
Derek, Johnson.
It feels like Fagie was overloaded and he offloaded some responsibility.
They hired Sam Ramey and let him run.
We got exactly a Sam Rame movie, no real story behind it, just a ton of visual effects.
Derek, you're 100% right.
That's exactly what happened.
Fikey was like, I can trust in Sam Ramey.
I have no time to do anything.
This guy, the freaking Bob Chapeck is making me do a thousand different shows.
It's Sam Ramey.
I can trust that he make a movie.
I want to change us up.
We like that script.
But I'm not doing it.
Fine, Sam, just change it.
Leave me alone.
I can see that.
I can 100% see that.
I,
I, 100% think that the issue became the expansion into Disney Plus,
the streaming in general
the MCU after such a
massive ending
Faggy
they were like you did it dude
now go bigger
yeah well Chapag was
Chapag was just trying to throw everything against the
and just make money
all right
Mark Jason Ali
that's up Mark
I think the Leonard story will be the manhunters
and their connection to the guardians of OHA
yeah of OHA yeah interesting
that's not a that's not a bad
guess to be honest with you
that would mean that we would
have to go to space somewhat but I don't
hate that plan to be
honest with you I guess maybe if you do
that
then most of the manhunter's
like they'll do all sorts of stuff but they
really love hunting lantern so I wonder if it's like
we're trying to solve the mystery of who killed another
lantern like why did you get your ring in the first
place John type situation I could see that
that's actually not a bad
that plan I guess all right Derek John
Johnson, coming back in. Thank you, Derek. Always very, very kind. I don't know why people have so much faith in this James Gun universe. DC has failed for over a decade. There's no direction. The first DCU show is a cartoon. That leads where exactly? Do you think it'll succeed? So I'm going to push back a little bit here, Derek, because look, the animated show is not to get everybody on board, start watching with right away and get the masses to follow it because it's the first thing. It's just to set up the universe. And I believe it even takes place.
in the 80s or something or it takes place in 90.
I think it's Rick Flagg Sr.
So it's just to show a little bit of where this world lives.
So it's like backstory stuff that he gets to do.
That's part one.
There's still no direction I don't agree with.
I think there is a clear direction.
I think there's a plan of where they want to go from Superman,
to Supergirl to the Green Lanterns, to Lanterns.
And that's why it failed beforehand because there was no plan.
I believe that there's a plan now.
Now, look, execution is everything.
If it doesn't, and I've said it many times over, and so is Winston.
If Superman doesn't work, then you better go back to the drawing board because it's going to be a problem.
But to say there's no plan, I don't agree with that.
I have no direction.
I don't agree with that.
I do think it will succeed because I think, as I mentioned before, when it's this lantern show,
he's got an idea.
He's got a blueprint.
And if you follow the blueprint and you put together the right team, you're setting yourself up for success.
It's just you just got to succeed.
my friend you are one away from tying roca oh my god wow that's amazing it's amazing also to to counter
what this this this person said and the question here's the thing i may not have necessarily agreed
with a lot of the choices that snider made but part of what the issue was of why the dCEU did not
work is that he wasn't allowed to truly go forward how he wanted the amount of studio interference
of, uh, guardians the galaxy, make, make suicide squad, do it.
And then like, change all the coloring.
Ah, well, oh, we, Batman a Superbe got to come together right now.
We need it just like right now.
Like, and it was a situation of, instead of giving things time to formulate as a plan
to move forward, there was so much interference from all different angles,
let alone the tragedy that's that Snyder dealt with himself.
Like all of that happened, it didn't work because you weren't cohesive.
Right.
It has been made very clear from James Gunn.
He knows exactly where he wants to go.
So that's where my pushback is.
Same thing that Christian just said.
If he doesn't execute,
we can have a whole different conversation about that.
And we'll both be honest about that.
Yeah.
If it doesn't work,
it doesn't work.
It's like,
what are you doing?
Right.
But I trust him when he says that he has a play.
Oh,
it seems,
you know,
he doesn't have to say it.
It seems from the things,
the best way to understand he's putting together a plan is just
read that Green Lantern's story and listen to who he put together with it.
I know exactly.
from the people from Ozark and everybody else that he's putting together.
He knows what he wants this show to be.
Now, you could always have an idea of what you want something to be
and the people don't get it done the right way,
but you can tell what he wants to do.
Okay.
But I think that's also why he chose to be like,
let me go take the reins for the opening salvo.
Just to set the tone, let me go do Superman,
and then he's got other products he's working on,
but then he really does kind of take more of the boss
figure and let everybody else
continue to following his footsteps.
Al Rensha, who would you cast as Jessica Cruz
Greenlander? My top picks would be Anandah to Armis
or Isabella Merckhead. I think
they would bring in whole core.
I think you would get
Arianna, what's her name?
From
freaking
Andor
and hitman.
Oh God, I can't remember. Arianna,
oh my God, I can't say it.
Ow, I'm having a headache.
I can't think I'm trying to think too hard.
Someone's going to say it in the chat.
But anyway, and from, she was in Morbius, too, she's phenomenal.
Ariana or, I can't get her name right.
Strive me nuts.
No.
People are probably screaming about, I'm looking at IMD because
Adrire Arjona.
That's who.
Got it.
That's who I would want.
But, you know, we'll say, it's the same thing.
Or an unknown.
or an unknown you know what i mean yeah no unknown would be good um i what's her name that
played uh Vanessa in Deadpool uh marina bubba so what so yeah i guess so but how old
does this character i don't know the character on how old is she she's she she's she she's like
middle-aged she's like she's not she's i mean it's weird because they're making hal so much
older than John. Oh, she howls? She house lady? She ends up being in, it depends on the
iteration. She ends up being a mentor and loving just to John. Okay. So you could see her being at
like her mid, like late 30s, early 40s. Okay, that's good. All right, let's see. Next question for you.
This is Armada. McDonald's or Wendy's? Yeah, you know, I'm going to have to take McDonald's
only because I don't need either one of them.
And the reason why, if I'm at an airport,
I'm going to get myself two McDonald's burgers sometimes.
I don't know why it is that those two cheeseburgers
say so good at the airport, but it's true.
Winston, you're tied with Rocha.
You're tied.
Now, you got, you got, wow, you're actually,
you got a shot at the title here.
Six questions gives you the title.
I personally do with a single smote-out title.
I thought you were going to be in the toilet.
You were six, six away before we got a couple left that we're closed down soon.
But still, what a, what a journey you had today, starting from the crapper coming back to pass and Roka, almost past, tying Roka, at least.
Armada, Christian, did you listen to that new LL Kuljah yet?
No, and I'm going to make a note for myself because so.
I need to.
I've been too busy listening to the new Kendrick.
Pretty good.
He dropped because he dropped all the, all the controversy with him being in a national.
announces the Super Bowl halftime show you had all of these rappers like you like how
do y'all do that we hate jZ and he was like you know what and he dropped another great this
track specifically of just the rap industry as a whole and being like yo this shit's broken yeah
like we just need to you know yeah well that's that's pretty great that he i mean he's had a hell
of a year obviously oh yeah um all right and then alaska winter 923 have a good weekend thank you
very kind of you it was very nice i have a wonderful weekend as well um wow win
Listen, you surpass Roker.
You're 44, my friend.
You're coming for the belt now.
Coming for the belt.
I didn't, I didn't think you're going to get you close.
She has 47.
So we need four more to beat her.
Four to beat.
Four to beat, three at a time.
Four to beat.
We're almost running.
We're almost over.
Come all, y'all.
Come on, y'all.
Look, Donald Glover over Taylor Swift.
I wouldn't even wasted on that.
Listen, you did good, even if you don't do it on the first run.
We're going to be doing this every day.
People are going to ask as many questions as they want.
Do y'all know what that would do for me?
Let me put it to you this way.
This is where I would really appreciate it.
No, no, no plea.
No, no plea.
No, no pleading.
You don't need to plead.
You're doing good without plea.
It's just good juju.
You know, it's Friday of the 13th.
I'm auditioning for the lead of a pilot.
Help a brother out, man.
Come on.
It's good juju for my mind when I get to that audition.
Stop it.
Do you no pleading?
You're doing good without it.
All right.
Julius Wyatt.
Winston, how do you feel about the Cowboys this season?
I mean, look, I've gotten to a place now
where I will still cheer for them
and winning the Super Bowl would be huge.
But I don't let myself get too invested anymore,
especially after last year where we looked really good
and then just got embarrassed in our first playoff game
against the Packers.
I think Jerry Jones spent way too much.
He clearly used this summer to build a pipe for the team.
He knew he was going to pay them all along
just based off how all that went down.
I think we look good.
I think we'll be a contender.
I don't know how far we actually go.
A giant smelled like farts.
You guys.
You guys are, who?
Why did you let Sequod go?
Alexis LeBlanc.
Hearing Colin Farrell reminds me of Daniel Craig after Specter.
He did return his bond.
First super chat, but longtime listener, big fan.
Alexis, thank you very much for that.
Very kind.
Yeah, I mean, I can see that as far as, I think the difference with Spector and Colin Farrell.
Is that Colin Farrell just, he's played this character now twice,
but I guess more than twice
because if you look at how many episodes
he's done with the show
but I think it's different than Bonn
because he was over.
He was over it.
You know what I mean?
Like he was,
Bond he was over because he did it over so many years.
I think Farrell is just the makeup exhaust is exhausting.
This feels more reminiscent of
and I started to get upset about it to be honest with you
but it feels more reminiscent of Jennifer Lawrence
wanting to be done with the blue makeup for mystique.
Right.
And really the makeup thing I think is the most specific thing
about it.
So yeah, that's
kind of more where I think this is.
But I understand the comparison. It's not a terrible
metaphor. What's this? So Armada.
UNC. Unc
went on a roast session on YouTube last night.
Yes, they did. So
Shannon Sharp. They call him Uncle
Shannon. Oh, okay.
So yes, they
they
did do a roast session of him
where like Snoop Dog came on, Cam Newton
came on,
LaTrell Crawfield came on.
Like they all came on and they just like win at him after the whole situation.
It was pretty fun.
Oh, poor guy.
Poor guy.
All right, let's see.
So I am Jack's 12.
Wait, I forgot before you say that.
You know he's still capitalizing on what happened though.
They put out a T-shirt instead of nightcap.
The name of his thing, it's called Nightclap.
It's what they put on.
Unbelievable.
I am Jack's 12.
Will Marvel ever do anything similar to D.C.
with Elseworld's like films?
I mean, they kind of are without really saying it.
I mean, you look at like Wanda Vision, not Wanda vision, sorry, Agatha, and you look at
Werewolf by Night, it's kind of connected, but not really, you know.
The closest you get to it, to be honest with you, but it's a different dynamic is honestly
Sony because they kind of, it is Marvel.
It always says in association with Marvel, but it's not really connected.
They're just kind of doing this thing over here.
Right.
town mat 12 hey guys just got in but we'll catch up on the upload later
Winston have you watched the one piece live action show
and if you did what were your thoughts on it and we decided for season two
did you watch it yet you did right I did not oh man you're killing me over there
I think the I think the problem is is I still have and I need to just take your approach to it
for me just being such a big anime and manga head I have just kind of
constantly stayed away from one piece because of how
massive the IP is, but I know...
If I could get into it, you love it.
I need to just watch the show.
I just need to watch it.
And then if I ultimately want to go back to what has been...
I think it's been almost 20 years.
Yeah, but I would just get to start with a live action, man.
Live action's great.
Okay.
Next one.
This is I am Jackson.
Hey, damn it, Winston.
No arcane.
Shame, shame, shame.
I will take that L.
I will take that L.
That's the other problem.
You're building out a whole...
You won't stop.
You can break your leg.
But you won't, you won't stop.
Well, break your leg is a reason to watch the show.
What are you doing when you're on the couch?
Well, I had to find ways to pay my bills without being able to walk.
You watched stuff.
Don't give me that.
Come on.
I was writing a lot of jokes.
That's what I was doing.
Town Matt 12.
No spoilers for the show, but David Dalsmolchin has been announced to be in the show
and is a perfect casting choice.
For which show?
What did he just, did he just put something else?
Which one?
Another question?
Maybe it's related to that.
Maybe.
Did I miss it?
The wall,
One piece,
one piece,
I assume.
Oh,
maybe it's season two.
Okay.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah,
that was available.
He's the best.
I think I even talked to him.
I might have talked to him about one piece when he was on.
I might have.
I'm not sure.
Eric Kirby.
Are you guys going to review Rebel Ridge on your separate channels?
I think that we'll do is probably watch it and then talk about it on this show.
For me,
it's like I always,
I want to make sure that people are going to,
watch the review so the movie gets, you know, it'll get like what I've been doing with the
interviews lately, right? For the interviews, I like, I had a great interview with Jennifer Esposito.
It was a great interview and I placed it on the live show yesterday. If I would have put that
interview by itself, people don't click on it. People don't click on the interviews, but when they
watch them, but when it's something when it comes to like a main topic, like if something is
big, they watch it. Then they watch interviews. They, the duration, they watch it all the way
through. I look at the numbers and people are watching it. But it's like, you know,
you just, this is how people want to do. The same way with Rebel Ridge, which is a movie that
I really want to see. I missed it. So everybody's been covering it. I didn't get a chance
to cover it. Did you see it yet? Not yet. Like that's, I guess that's the big thing,
no pun intended. It's just, it's just the idea of A, when you have as much content as going on
and B, the one thing that I'm building towards to be kind of in your position that I can do this
thing kind of full time.
Right. I got to do it part time. I got to pick and choose and I can only get through so much
while still trying to do the day job and everything. You know what I mean? So I'm playing a lot
of catch-up right now. Makes sense. Alaska winner, 23, 923. This is the question to beat
Roka. Any video games that you're looking forward to? I think the Indiana Jones game. I'm really
looking forward to. Interesting. Yeah. Do you see that trailer? Do you see that trailer yet? I haven't
seen the trailer yet but i but just because like i i i remember i'm a new indian a jones man yeah yeah um
because i just had never seen them and watched them in anticipation of of dial a destiny which
you know not a fan of that movie but but the the others were good um so i think that would be fun
i think the one i'm most looking forward to is uh marvel rivals i didn't get to get in on that uh on that beta
but i heard that that was people were obsessed yeah that and dragon ball dragon ball sparking zero oh my god i
can't wait for that game oh you will probably never see me i'll just be
something that winston something you never heard before do you want to hear something
yeah ladies and gentlemen your winner and the new
question champion of the world
Winston hey Marshall not only did you wait wait not only did you beat roxy
you stand at 58 you beat her by you
You beat her by 12.
You almost, can you hit 60 before we go off?
Wow.
59.
Hold on.
I got to see.
Hold on.
I don't know if I have it loaded.
You look.
You look.
Let me get the questions up.
So now they're sending them in a lot.
So Julius Wyatt to help Winston catch Roga.
This guy's going to be, he's going to be the untoucher.
It's going to be Joe DiMaggio soon.
To help Winston catch Rosh.
Also feel bad for Tua.
Yeah.
dude that makes
that that genuinely really makes me sad
where we're at
yeah that's tough
uh Derek Johnson
what does he want to wait
what does he want to do it my question
do we know really do we have two Batman at the same time
I'm not sure what does what does he want to do with my question
do we really oh what does he want to do is my question I think is what Derek
do we know really we will have two Batman at the same time okay
yeah that's what I'm not saying two uh a penguin show
Joker movie not in that universe piecemaker show that's awesome the same universe what's the
I I understand what you're saying so Derek I mean that was the thing earlier man that we were
talking about with this man is that um that I think that a lot of these projects were kind of set up
before he came in so instead of scrapping the ones that he knows are going to do well instead of
just getting rid of them all together like you can get rid of certain movies and like that's why
they never said when they started about Wonder Woman Flash Aquaman Shazam they didn't say we're
scrapping all these. They said, we're keeping the door open, which meant, let's see how they do in the
box office. And as soon as they didn't perform, see you later, out the door. That's exactly what
happened. The Batman performed. So to scrap that, and they said, look, people want to see this movie.
Same with Joker. Same with Joker. And it's like, people want to see these things and they're going to do
well. So the plan is still to, right, look, let's just create this other thing over there, make sure
it is. And with Peacemaker, it was his thing he was working on. And he figured, can I maneuver a way to make
this work within my DCU and that's exactly what he did so I do think he's he has a plan for sure I
wonder if you can hear this I can but I don't want to get a copy strike it's mine oh is it
ours okay I'll remember can you hear it I can but it's it's too it's it doesn't it doesn't work
but it works as far as a tone yeah but I remember yeah yeah yeah it's not going through all the way
yeah yeah but um but yeah you are you are look dude you've you've got Roxy now almost
by like 20 questions.
This is like what I did to the rock stars,
baby.
I remember that.
This is crazy.
Like this is I,
we didn't,
we thought you were going to,
you said you thought you were going to be in the basement.
This is,
you're going to see.
Wow.
Wow.
Wow.
You can be as cocky as you want.
This is the best.
Wow.
crushing here.
The Big Moe network.
This is for Winston.
What up,
Christian.
What up,
man.
Big Mo.
I miss me.
Big Mo.
Are you not in New York anymore?
Galaxy Geeks.
Winston.
How is building your channel been?
it's been it's been good it could always be better that the the main thing again is it's just trying to find enough time in the day to to not only be consistent but to like put out quality content because like on top of that for me and that's where i'm trying to find a way to split the difference is i have put so much effort into like my editing style and things like that if i can't get it to at least a bare minimum of what i have kind of established now then i get in my own head about like well let me just throw something out there
So trailer reactions have been really good for me because those can be quick edits versus like if I'm doing my blurred breakdown show.
If I'm doing this series I've been calling a thread where I get into like kind of a video essay about something, it just takes a little bit more time.
But I'm having fun.
That's the important part.
You're doing a good job.
Your editing is great.
Yeah.
Thank you, man.
Nick B.
Which team will have the honor and glory of sending the Cowboys home in the playoffs?
the team sent by the people who are right in the world.
The Cowboys that will have that honor.
P.U. P.U.
Dylan Neal, making my first super to help you win.
Let's go.
And did you ever?
Did you ever?
I'm not even going to tell Winston what his number is yet until the end.
I'm going to tell him at the end.
This is turning into Aaron Judge stuff.
This is turning into something we never thought.
Not to this level.
We thought, okay, maybe you'll get lucky and beat Roxy.
I know you're supposed to thank your mama first,
but I'm going to start by thanking Aisha Kenya.
Yeah, she started it.
She started it.
The Big Mo Network, since it's Friday.
I honestly, dude, like, I think people will have numbers.
I don't know if anybody's going to ever catch this number.
The Big Mo Network, since it's Friday the 13th,
what's your favorite movie in the franchise?
I just remember the fourth one.
Winston probably has probably the answer.
He doesn't watch.
I don't think he's watching.
I don't be watching.
Oh, Freaky.
So that was the, the,
It's not Friday the 13th.
No, no, I understand that, but that also happened on a Friday the 13th.
Oh, I'm going to take that.
He's talking about the franchise.
Cut it out.
Don't get cocky now that you're the champ.
Derek Johnson, Green Lanterns are the Star Wars of the DC Universe.
They adapt the Blackest Night's story across the universe.
You have three original lanterns and a new one in the universe ending villain.
I throw all my money on it.
So that's what I'm saying, Derek.
So you are pretty invested in the idea of it.
Like, see what they're going to actually wind up doing.
with this whole thing if they actually, you know,
they're putting together a plan
to get you excited about.
And they have people talking about Green Lantern again.
That was, and with the casting and all that stuff,
people are talking about it.
Derek, and thank you for being so extremely generous.
Each and every show, you're just truly amazing.
Thank you to everybody who's put in stuff today here today
on this groundbreaking episode of Winston taking.
This is the Winston's title episode.
Town Mat 12, good luck with the audition.
Thank you, thank you.
I'm really excited about it.
It's a very fun role to play.
So I'm hoping that things go well.
But I will keep you all informed.
As I'm allowed to speak on it, if I do book it, I will tell you.
Okay, this is Korean Emperor.
Spill the tequila.
What do you think about beating everyone?
I think my favorite part, because I feel like Roxy will be very supportive.
I feel like Roca is going to be being mad.
I think Roca at first will.
Roka first will just on Twitter or something will be like,
but when I tell him live on air, that's when he'll count.
That's when he's that.
What are you doing?
No, Roker is.
No,
there on beach you all right.
Roga's going to threaten to beat up the audience.
So that's what we need to do?
We need to find a way to either get Steph or to get Mike up above Roka as well.
And then it becomes fourth place Roka again.
Remember, it resets next week.
He's got a shot on Monday to dethrone you.
He's got a shot.
so it's not he doesn't he can get past his record derrick johnson and to be fair to him he was the one
who started the whole thing he was also fair yeah he's the originate he's originally he was the first
champ derrick johnson how do we need to how many do we need to beat the record uh we beat it by almost
yeah by by 20 actually wins it wins it wins it's been by 20 um if he three more and he's got he's got
70 uh yeah haskell 420 hey guys winston after you beat roka and roxy's record
tweet or text them
the John Cena gift the champ is here
and they'll be like I don't get it. I'm going to send him
Angel Reese and Caleb Clark did this right
and you're by yourself. That's the one
thing. Roka was by himself. Roxy had Mike even though
Mike didn't do anything.
You know what? You know what? Guys, I know this
sounds crazy. We want to get as many as possible.
I kind of want you to send two more. Let's just
end on 69. That's good for me.
In honor of on
and going on IG Live.
You say that until it hits 80 and no one's
no one's going to be able to touch your ass.
Paige, this is going to be a very hard record to beat.
Paige Chandrae, I got help.
I got to help a Cowboys fan and I love Swaggy Bird.
Paige helping you out.
Thank you very much, Paige.
Derek Johnson, I'm sending in questions just to beat the record.
You did it right.
Let's go.
Yeah, this is to, this is now, anybody that puts stuff in now is just to make it untouchable.
It's just to be a part of history.
It's part of history.
That's exactly what it is.
I was part of the, I was part of the,
the almost 70 day.
Tia Foster.
Hi.
Thank you, Tia.
Very nice.
Derek Johnson,
coming in hot again.
I grew up a D.C. fan.
My first superhero was the Flash.
They killed me with the speed skating flash,
and they destroyed this IP.
I just don't have faith.
By the time they fix it,
I'll be like 75.
I can't tell you that I don't understand,
that I understand this frustration.
I do understand his frustration.
But I'm just feeling as a D.C. fan,
you want to be hopeful here.
And just give, and like I say, get your hopes up until Superman and then make your judgment after that.
I know a lot of people don't rock with sports that watch this show in particular, but to take it back,
this is that moment where if you fired the GM, you fired the coach, you went and got a championship level coach to come in and be like,
I am here to turn this program around.
You are starting from the ground up.
So I am going to have faith because we are not with the same.
same old same old you have had an entire regime change yeah um okay so
Derek Johnson Rebel Ridge would be a good watch long with Matt Sarah that would be
good actually he won't he's itching to do another one and Derek follows it up
Sony is killing my Spider-Man dreams 100% with what they're doing and then Derek says it's
about time I was getting exhausted sending these in well thank you well Winston you
you told them to stop at 69 and they did you're not going to hit your
you're 70. I mean, look, I think for the meme ability of this, it's pretty funny,
as much as I would love to keep going to 100, whatever, even if it just ends on 69 and that
it's passed later, I get to say I was the 69 day. That's, that's, that's, that's pretty funny.
But if you hit 70, then no one's going to blame me for that. But see that guy over there with a big
$50 super chat. Thank you so much. Haven't dropped in, you lost your 69 and just jumped.
haven't dropped in live in a while due to crazy work schedules, but it's good seeing y'all.
Thank you, man.
Let's bring Winston to the front of the bus.
He's driving all four.
He's driving four of them right now with his dick out.
Actual question.
There goes to the show for the kids.
Actual question with Speak No Evil and the killers coming out this weekend.
Which one should I watch?
Okay.
What I've heard about Speak No Evil is.
that as per usual, James McAvoy's fantastic, but the movie itself is kind of me.
I don't know what the reviews have been on the killer.
Killers or Killer?
Which one is this?
The Killers Game coming out this weekend.
So I saw Speak No Evil.
I saw that already.
And the Killers game, Killer's Game is the Dave Battista one.
Oh, I kind of want to see that.
Yeah, and Speak No Evil is actually a pretty crazy Danish film that they
remade that I just actually just talked about it on breakfast all day with
Christy Lamere so check that out and but it's the killers came I didn't get a
chance to see but I'm curious to how it goes thank you see that it was good to see
again I'm glad that you came on over to ask that question very generously Dylan
Neil do some movie reactions to wacky Nick Cage rolls yeah I mean we just
did one for um the bees the base but I just did but we just did one for long legs
So check that out.
Derek Johnson coming in again.
I'm just finding it hard to be optimistic on this DCU.
I'm going to give it a shot, but it's hard, man.
I understand.
I get it.
I also know just like the state of the world in general.
It feels like there's some bad news that pops off every two seconds.
So it's hard to get your hopes up about anything.
But you have given me enough signals that I can hold out some hope as far as what this is going to be.
But that's just, again, that's my take.
Yep.
Okay. So Armada, are you all interested in the Farrell Lego movie, Ferrell Lego movie by any chance?
Also, Clips is coming back later this year. Let's go.
You know, it's the same thing. It's, to me, I wasn't excited for the Transformers One movie.
And then it's trying to be great. So I think that if it turns out that it's good and, you know, and people are talking about it.
No, Farrell.
Oh, Farrell. I thought you said Will Ferrell.
Look, Farrell is a fantastic creative.
Pretty much every project that he's ever put his hands on,
it's obviously mainly been music,
but he's also helped produce award shows, things like that.
There's a reason why this man is a vampire
because he is timeless.
So I have some solid faith in it.
What you're doing today is magical stuff.
You are two away from beating Roxy by 30.
Whoa.
You're at 74 right now.
Whoa.
This is crazy.
this is crazy i've never seen this before this is crazy this you know what this reminds me it's gonna be
hard for you to beat this i i don't know if you remember uh one of the days that i was hosting
s cn live it was the christmas episode yeah i do i do and you and you crushed yeah out of that record
and the only thing that beat us was when the ladies had the ladies full week and it's just like but this is
but that's why and that's why i like this is different because the fans get to you know
have us talk about whatever topic they want that it's not interrupting the show it's fun you can do
it this is a much better way to do it um for people to be involved in the show and
I think they're having fun helping you beat Roca and Roxy.
The Big Mo Network.
I no longer live in New York City.
I live in Orlando now.
Oh, that's a good place to go.
David Martinez,
do you think James Gunn will do an adaptation of the Greenlander Blackest Night by Jeff Johns?
I think he's going to because I don't even know enough about it,
but I've heard Winston and Coy talk about it enough and love you guys.
He's as much of a comic book fan as you guys are, so yeah.
It is fantastic.
It is heart-wrenching.
It is crazy.
but you have to build to it.
Yeah.
And so I think if he's going to do that,
if maybe you doesn't want to necessarily go the dark side route,
which I can understand him not necessarily wanting to,
you would need to, uh-oh, my internet's active.
No, you're good.
I can see.
I can see.
You're good.
Okay, cool.
But all that being said,
if we're going to go there,
we're talking down the line.
And maybe that is his infinity saga wrap up is to do Blackass Night,
which would be fantastic.
It would be a very, very interesting.
way to go yeah um all right so next one here luigi sherry it's pronounced luigi and i hope
winston wins wins i mean it's gonna be very hard for someone to beat wins tons yes that's that's the name
baby i mean look roxy people love that roxy and people love rocca so it's you know you never know
i don't i don't expect to hold this forever not even close i just i'm enjoying the moment that's
wait wait till i get sadie on the air see what happens oh god i know now i'm screwed dude i'm not
It's Sadie and like you don't show Macy, but you just hear her in the back.
It's like a line or two.
That's it.
Mark Jason Ali.
Did you guys talk about the Spidey of Four villains?
Yeah, we started the show with it, Mark.
We never actually, we never hit the actual villain list.
Oh, no, we didn't.
No, we didn't.
I'll pull it up.
You do that.
I'll read the rest of it.
Dylan Neal.
One more to make Roka salty.
All love.
Yeah, that was a while ago.
And then he got
Olaf Sayo, never done Supertats before, but for Winston.
Very nice.
Thank you very much.
You guys are really nice.
For real.
I'm about to crush this audition because of y'all.
For real.
Winston, have you heard, this is from Eric Kirby.
Have you heard the new Slim Shady album?
If so, your thoughts?
I actually loved it.
And I love it because there was this acknowledgement of past M flows of the split between Marshall Mathers
slash Eminem and Slim Shady, which I thought was great.
I thought the commentary, essentially, of being able to speak your mind and speak it creatively
and how people want to jump to cancel culture on one end.
but like where are you actually standing on things,
people being too sensitive or maybe moments where he's being too much.
I thought that it was classic Eminem and I really,
really enjoyed the album.
Yeah.
Someone said,
did someone say 100?
I don't know.
We're almost out of here soon.
But Derek Johnson,
okay, we'll try to have a little faith.
I'll give them until Superman.
But if they F it up,
then burn it all down.
I think that I understand.
I don't think you'll have to, though,
because I think that if they don't get Superman to work,
it's over for them.
And they know that.
Okay.
Yeah. Okay. So we have the Magia. Not as familiar, but I believe that's that's like a mob family.
They have Mr. Negative, which very, very interesting character was the main villain of the first Spider-Man game that was released on PS4.
Spencer Smy, uh, Smi, Smyth, depending on how you pronounce it.
Spider-Man, the animated series. He's the right-hand man of the kingpin, but he's like an inventor,
shortener. Like, I think that that would be really interesting. Obviously, the scorpion. I know you're familiar with.
And the prowler, I'm sure you're familiar with now after Spider-verse and everything.
I think any of them could be really interesting.
Don't bring me the prowler if you're not bringing me miles.
That would be actually very upsetting.
Scorpion is also interesting.
I think the best one to go with would probably be Mr. Negative.
And if you're going to go Kingpin, then you can bring Smee and there's my, like, you know,
Zina Prounds both ways.
Okay.
All right.
Let's go next one here.
And this is Chris Brown.
Did I miss one?
I want to make sure I didn't miss one.
No. Never cared for DC beside Nolan Batman. So I'm excited for the James Gunn DCU. He never let me down with his movies. And I can't wait for Superman. I love your show. Thank you, Chris. Really appreciate that. Very kind of you. And yeah, I think that he's getting people excited for it. That's the whole point. Winston, you're one away from 80 now, man. This is nuts.
This is nuts. Call me Java. Miss the first hour of the show, but I wanted to send you guys love. Thank you, Jabba. If you could have one movie quality superhero costume for free, whose would it be?
one hero quality superhero costume which one would you take iron man would you take uh would you take uh would
you take a batman costume whose costume would you take well it would be green lantern because if i
have to have the ring because that's what generates it in which case no he's talking he's
talking about actually having like one for like you know the way that you have something on your
Life.
Oh, all right.
If that's the case, then either Ironman or it would have been Batman when I was younger,
either Ironman or Black Panther.
It's a good one.
I'm not sure.
I'm not sure.
I probably, maybe Wolverine, like the one from Deadpool is pretty good.
But I mean, or Batman one.
I have to think about it.
That's a great question now.
Screwface John.
What up, man?
Kendrick went scorched Earth on this.
new song he did yeah i also love that that that screw faith like that you guys have that relationship now
because i've been a fan of his for a minute so if you're still watching shout out man i love your
content brother he's he's a great dude yeah he's been a fan of he said he was watching um schmose and
stuff before he even started his thing so he's been a fan for a long time he's he's a very he's just
a good dude i like scrofish john a lot he's a good guy uh speaking of screw face john this was
just for my melon just for the melody he already know you this is why i f you heavy y y y'all
It's my effort you heavy.
Every time a new rap song come on, I'm like, hey, what's screw face got to say about that?
I rocks with you heavy.
Well, he incorporated into your record, too.
So, and he's been on, he's been on the show with Roka.
I saw him.
Yeah, yeah.
When I'm trying to remember specifically.
I got to get him back on.
He was great on the show.
I am Jack's 12.
I like Snyder's DC stuff.
I understand those who didn't.
We should be optimistic about gun for one reason.
The man knows how to tell stories.
This is true.
Right.
This is true.
All right.
A.
What? A-Sol! Hey, A-Sle! What if they compromised on Spidey for and approached it like Ant-Man and the Wasp? Have the movie tell its own story and have a multiverse ending.
Yeah, I mean, look, it's the same thing that, I will say this. There is a possibility that they go with this big plan, and it turns out it's a great movie.
It just doesn't change the fact that we want to see it on the street level of Spider-Man, but I think that's pretty good.
We need an interview with Matt Sarah and Gary Busey.
assuming that you're meaning the real Gary Busey because that would I would pay a lot of money I
and I would I would pay so much money to watch it too I've I've sat in the room with Gary Buse and
obviously Matt Serra has become a very good friend and Matt Sera knows like really is such a smart
dude he really is you know he's just such a smart dude when you listen to the way he like
breaks things down in general when it comes to from jihitsu to Marvel movies like he just
to hear that interview between the two of them and he also would call Gary what
what are you talking about?
I would love to see that.
I would love to see that.
All right, let's see.
Dylan Neal, let's get that 80.
It's done already.
So much love, guys.
It's done already.
Is it 80, Beau?
Yeah, we're at 81 right now.
Oh, my God.
This is nuts.
This is nuts.
So we're almost, we're almost done here.
We're almost done because the sink lord.
Winston, do you think Michael J. White would make a good tombstone for a Spider-Man villain?
He would be in.
Fantastic.
I would love to see him as Tombstone, honestly.
Okay.
And then here's our last one for now, before we sign off.
And this is Armada.
Did you watch the new episode of The Old Man yet?
No, I'm going to watch it tonight with my wife, actually.
So there you go.
Winston, you are the current champion with 82.
That is.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's worth it.
Oh yeah, that's old swag music.
There you go. Perfect.
So you can't, it's loud, but, you know, if you wanted me to, I could.
Well, I guess I couldn't know.
I was going to say I'll edit an end, but we're live, so it doesn't make any sense.
All right, so why don't you give a, why don't you give everybody where they can find you now
as the new reigning champion that will probably hold the record for quite a while?
Yeah, man.
You can find me at the Swaggy Blurred on all platforms, specifically over here on YouTube.
You know, if we're able to build like this,
just with donation. I'm not even asking for money.
Just, just go over and subscribe to my channel, man.
I've been doing my blurred breakdowns hitting you.
It's the pop culture show where you need to know what happened was.
So definitely come on over and check that out, man.
I've got this video essay called a thread that I'm about to do about both the show Abbott
Elementary and English teacher and people making comparisons that don't make sense
to the two of those.
You obviously see me here on capes and cows with Roka.
I do spill the tequila and game time over there.
Just a lot, a lot of stuff popping off, man.
And the main thing right now is as soon as we wrap up,
I'm going to go knock this audition out of the park.
So thank you for sending, honestly,
y'all just sent me a lot of positivity and love
that I feel like I'm just going to carry with me into that room.
Well, you're not done yet because you've got one more.
Razor back.
Razor back 10, two more.
Razor back 10.
Just said, just a longtime supporter of the channel.
I love the new format.
Thank you.
I need a Christian Harlov t-shirt.
I mean, I didn't know if anybody who actually really.
ever care about that, but if people
will actually want one, why not?
Derek Johnson, it's a fight for second place
now. Well, I mean, this week's over.
This week is over, so there's no, it's
going to be next, I mean, I guess the all-time
leaderboard. I'm going to have to make, I'm going to have to make a leaderboard
today before we go, but now people are just firing them in and not letting us get
out of here. So I am Jacks 12, 84.
Mike Joyce, Winston,
doing an Ocho Cinco impression, looking sharp.
Good stuff.
So that was a, you got 86, the current record, 86.
Oh, that is, that is nuts.
Yeah, that's not.
No, you know what?
One more.
I was born in 87.
Feels like good luck.
You want to wait until we get 87?
Just as that's my birthday.
We can talk about if anybody, I mean, you're going to be here for a while.
You may not be here for a while.
I mean, I should say that.
Someone may have heard that and go fine here.
Yeah.
But nonetheless, we do have a big week next week where we're going to have,
we'll be talking penguin stuff for sure.
I'm doing reviews for that.
We got Agatha coming up.
We have all these different things.
The channel's going to be pumping.
We've got tons of stuff going on here
over the next week or two.
And then the reactions, I have long legs coming up.
I got Logan coming up.
There you go.
Aisha, Kenney, just put in 87 for you.
So you're good to go.
Girl, you have been.
She started it.
She was the whole person that started.
And then Derek Johnson just put it in.
Got you to 88.
Now you're going to want to get in the 90 before we live.
This is insanity today.
I'm going to sit up
I'll take a screenshot of it so y'all
can see but um
I definitely just text Roka
the the angel Riesk.
hilarious and then
I'm going to take a screenshot of it at 88
you guys were really awesome today in general
appreciate everybody who
who was part of it we're definitely going to do it again
we'll be here on Monday every Monday
one p.m. EST the only time I won't be live
is if I have you know a screening or something
long as well I can't do it and we'll pre-tape but we're going to be live so um razor back
razor back 10 just a fun one to put in I am somewhat friends with Sprite from
Eternals nice girl well that's awesome and then um here you go Winston Derek Johnson just got you to
90 so you're at 90s let's go yeah no he's so it's to stay on and go for 100 do you want to you want to be
you're going to be here you're going to be here we're going to be to 230 you want to stay you
want to stay on the air until 2.30? No, we can't do that.
I have to get to the audition. I love you guys.
Desmond, but I got to get to it. Yeah, yeah. We did it. We did it. We did it. You,
did it. Oh, you were not, you were, but dude, the fact that you were nine away from 100 is insanity.
I'm telling you. Now I'm like, do we just wait for a hundred?
Do we just get to see.
You agree. Everyone's saying go for 100.
Go for 100. Well, you got to find, I got to find out of. What time you got to get out of here?
find another story. I have, I have at maximum about another 15 minutes.
All right, so we'll find another story to do while, and we talk. I want to give the audience
a show. I don't want to just keep farting around. Oh, for sure. We'll give it to 15 minutes.
If we hit it, we hit it. If we don't, we just call it a day. Let's see. The other stuff
that we do, oh, okay. Well, the Batman director, Matt Reeves confirms a trilogy plan.
So let's talk about that. Here it is. This is screen record. Perfect.
I don't know what that's down there. The Batman director,
Matt Reeves confirms trilogy plans, touches on sequel villains, and winter setting.
So this is from the comic book movie, the Batman director, Matt Reeves, has confirmed that
he still intends to complete his trilogy while also touching on but not naming the sequel's
villain.
While doing press for HBO, the Penguin spin-off series, the Batman director, Matt Reeves,
has shared some very interesting new details about his upcoming sequel, which is scheduled
to begin shooting early next year.
While speaking to Collider, Reeves confirmed he intends to complete the trilogy he
originally envisioned prior to James Gunn and Peter Saffron taking over. He said that's still the plan.
I mean, it's sticking very closely to the path that we envisioned. There was some concern that
any plans that may have been in place might be changed with the formation of the DCU, especially since
a new take on the Dark Night is set to be introduced in the brave and the bold down the line.
Things kind of shifted. So when we came up with the idea to do the penguin, that was something
where I'd always intended to continue the penguin story and wanted to tell the story the beginning
of the rise to power because we know that he's introduced in it. In the Batman, it's a kind of mid-level
sort of overlooked mock figures who's not in any way and the uh yeah yeah where it was it wasn't batman's
origin story or one of the origin stories of these other characters um so basically what i think what
this turns out to be also winston is that this is exactly what we were talking about before um this is
they had a thing they had a plan beforehand they didn't when gun and saffron took over they didn't say
now it's over you can't do it anymore they said no this is popular so you can do it but it's like
But the plan shifted and the people who greenlit it shifted, you know.
Right.
And that's going to affect creative one way or the other.
But based, again, off of everything that they're talking about,
it sounds like what they came up with as a slight alternative is still fantastic.
You're hitting 91% and in this day and age where like it feels kind of impossible to hit that 90s and maintain it on content,
especially TV.
Movies feels a little easier.
But TV, people will be.
so quickly like this is trash no it's it's totally true Dylan Neil throws in a super chat uh get us
there and then town mat 12 here's to 100 baby and alaska winter coming in again
alan richson as shazam too big he's too big right yeah i yeah yeah i probably wouldn't okay
lev dickinson for 100 um i am jack's 12 get reeves in star wars i mean that was the plan
And the plan was to have him in Acklead.
I'm glad it didn't turn out that way.
But they said they still want a minute.
So the questions will he actually show up?
We don't know.
Derek Johnson,
real question,
is Batman as a character piece getting old
with how many incarnations and movies there have been?
I feel like we've barely touched the DC catalog.
I mean,
yeah,
but you kind of need them in a new DC universe.
You know,
I agree with you.
Batman's been done so many different times.
Or you're just like,
okay,
but I think you need them.
If you're going to do a continued universe,
If you have Superman and Greenlander and everyone else, you kind of need Batman.
But just after this, though, after Robert Pattinson's movies are done, the Batman you have should be the only Batman that we got.
I think that's probably why Brave and the Bold is so far back, not only to not to do a similar thing with Batman is as the most beloved character in D.C.
I think in the same way that you're like, let's not focus on Wolverine right now type situation.
That gives you that opportunity to let Matt Reese finish a story.
and then you can introduce your Batman that's that's involved here.
Derek Johnson.
Derek's been so incredible.
Question.
Ha, ha, ha.
Mike Joyce.
Arnold for Mr. Freeze in the Batman trilogy.
I mean, if they redid it, can be Twilight Boy.
Come on, Twilight Boy.
Get over here.
What if he actually comes in with some serious dramatic action for once?
Derek, again, love the show, as always Christian.
I'm always glad to support.
Thank you, man.
It's very, very kind of you today.
you're more than supportive.
Awesome.
So good.
Town Matt 12.
Who comes out on the top in the box office?
Sonic 3 or Mufasa?
Mufasa.
What will be a better movie?
Sonic 3.
But Mufus in this better box office.
Well,
the only reason I think so now,
and I know that the immediate would be like,
hey, it's Disney.
What are you talking about?
It was a billion-dollar movie.
I think the loss of James Earl Jones,
rest in peace,
I think that,
knowing that that's going to be one of his last performances.
He's not in that.
He's not in it.
I thought that was the whole thing
is he is in the movie as like,
because he's not the focus.
but he is in the movie as far as like that's what I had heard maybe you're right you might be right
yeah but uh I I don't yeah just there's no chance that uh that it does better than I think it'll be
a better movie but no I don't think that I don't think he's in it man I'll double check maybe maybe
I'm losing somebody like I obviously know that Donald Glover is yeah no he's rising his role
well he's not listed he's not listed so um okay let's see we got so that's that one um okay
Dylan Neal, this one for good luck with the audition.
Thank you, Dylan.
Thank you very, very much.
Aisha.
Here's to 100.
Whoop, whoop.
Asia's such a good supporter.
And then Armada, I think Mr. Freeze can work without the character feeling fantastical.
Also, hope they use Court of Owls and Clayface, also Richardson for Bain.
For Bain, yeah.
You could see him playing Bain.
But the only thing with that is he probably would get pushback because isn't Bain supposed to be Latino?
Yes.
He is, and I think that that was one of the things that was kind of missing because it adds to his character for sure.
So I think you want to try and lean towards that if you can and not drum up any other drama.
Derek Johnson agreed that after this trilogy should be only one Batman and maybe focus on these other heroes.
Agreed.
And then to where Derek then says, damn, are we at 100 yet?
Yeah.
We are at 106.
So that's it.
We are 106, ladies and gentlemen.
Winston A. Marshall is the clear champion, and it is going to be an ongoing battle trying to get to beat this one.
Y'all are the real superheroes.
You want to talk about the on your left Avengers, Justice League coming together.
Y'all are the real.
Now, here's the other thing that's going to come here.
You're going to have another.
Now you've got to shake it off.
And then, you know, when we get close to like whatever, the more, not more people.
what's that movie that's coming out with other craven when we get a craven spoiler thing coming out
you got a crave or the joker spoiler thing coming out like that's that's when it's going to get and
then and you don't even have coy on this episode it wasn't even he didn't have coy here didn't have coy
today and rocks yeah and rox and roxy's gonna be losing her mind trying to beat this so anyway
thank you guys i literally feel like it was an on your left day that's what that felt like guys
yeah this is this is this is either the origin of a great hero origin of a super villain we'll see so
thank you guys for joining us winston again thank you guys for joining us winston again

And then you gave a shout to the channel real quick, but just, again, where can they find you?
