Black Panther, we're getting more and more news on this movie. And it seems like not only are they going to do what we thought they were going to do, they might do it quicker than we thought. You know when Black Panther 3 was coming out, well, we might see Black Panther even before that. So we're going to get into that. Goonies, Gremlins. People who like movies love those movies.

Yes, I'm calling Rocha out. And there looks like there's going to be some new movies in that realm. Is that going to be a good move? We'll see. James Mangold, who's been making, he just made a complete unknown, which I dug. He's doing the Star Wars movie. Well, he's also doing the Swamp thing. And he said, this is for him, a standalone movie.

We'll discuss those comments for sure. Steph did miss that baby part in Battlestar Galactica, even though she didn't realize that she did. and we found that out yesterday on the show, and we'll discuss how that happened. So you need to go back and watch that. Oh my gosh. It's them getting off the planet, doing all that stuff. It's like the, it's like the, the whole point of what's, what's happening.

So it's stupid how they do. I feel like if these streaming networks have now the time to like pair clothing lines and trivia facts, then they can tell you like, oh, this is best viewed if you see the pilot two hour movie before this. rumor now that we know when the new Tachala, Black Panther, will make his MCU debut. Possible spoiler. Another big Black Panther rumor is doing the rounds today. It is being widely reported that the MCU's new Tachala will make his debut sonar than most of us expect. Black Panther has dominated the headlines this week, and it all started when the news broke out that Marvel is reportedly looking to cast the new Tachala, with the prevailing theory being that the multiverse saga will. somehow age up Black Panther in Wakanda Forever's Touss regardless of what is, wait, whether it's Tachala or a multiverse variant, the news that Black Panther will live to fight another day has pleased most fans.

Following in the late Chadwick Bozeman's footsteps will not be easy, but the majority seem ready to see another actor honor his and the character's legacy. After revealing some of the names, Marvel Studios designing for the MCU's new Tichala. Yesterday, Scooper My Time to Shine, Hello, brings word that the new Tachala will first appear in the Avengers movies then Black Panther 3. So as expected, there's a multiversal element of play, whether it's the future to Sassan or a Black Panther from an alternate reality. Avengers' Secret Wars Rumored Reset looks to establish the hero in time for Black Panther 3.

It's also somewhat fitting that the Rousseau's be the one to reintroduce to Chala in Avengers' Doomsday because it was 2016's Captain America's Civil War that Bozeman made his unforgettable debut as the hero. So here's some of the, there were, well, there were anyway. Where is it? Okay, here are the three actors that they're apparently considering for Black Panther. And we'll talk about both these rumors in just a minute. According to the leaker, some of the actors Marvel Studios was considered in. To play Tachala are John David Washington, Kevin Harrison, and Aaron Pierre.

interesting okay and not and i thought that um alice hodge would be in there too but i guess not step let's get into this here what do you think about the fact it looks like they're gonna i wouldn't say that do you think they're going to basically make it to chala from a multiverse or is it going to be his son from a multiverse what does it really yeah it doesn't really matter to me. I'm, I, hearing this, I'm leaning more towards a variant. Well, it's definitely going to be a variant one way. You're saying variant of, of, of Chalha.

Of Chala. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, of Chala. And, but I, I don't really, like, do you have any inklings or care? Or do you have an opinion one way or the other? Um, not necessarily, to be honest with you, because either way, whether it's his son from a different timeline or him, it's still going to be a different actor that's going to pick up the mantle of Tachala right now because he's not going to have the same experiences as the Chowd Bozeman that we know from the MCU. So it's not really that necessary. I think it'll be accepted

either way, because either way it's going to be Tachala, right? So the overall idea does it make sense that it's going to be in the Avengers? I think, yeah, I think because that's how you explain. The whole point of it is we're going to end this multiverse thing and this is how you do it and you're going to one of the many variants that we're going to see is going to be um this version of the character and then he'll have his own movie once the avengers saga is done yeah which i like that introduction plan similar to how chadwick was introduced i feel like that that makes sense um in terms of i was also surprised not to see dampson on the list of um potential people that they're looking at just because I see him so much in fancasting and just discussions of and he is a great actor.

So, um, but I don't think it would be the Rebel Ridge guy anymore, Aaron Pierre, because that doesn't really. No, that doesn't make sense because he's in BC. Yeah, I like Calvin Harrison Jr. I actually, no one I know watched Chevalier, but he was the star of that movie and we, I really liked that movie. so and then i think that uh david john uh washington is um i really enjoy his acting but i don't know he's like so big that i'm not sure if that that that's the direction i would go in i kind

of like your pick um because i think that for the same reason right it's like get someone that's like yeah he's really good what's the show called to chalier um chivalier it's a movie yeah um chivalier i know the movie. So it is, but, you know, I'd like to see in the same way that like David Cornswet was introduced now to the world this way. He's been in other things. He's been in stuff that people like, people that have seen him and stuff are like, oh yeah, you got to check him out, but it's like it's a small audience. Now, this is a bigger audience, obviously, that is going to be seeing this movie. So it's like, yeah, let's let's introduce this guy there. And I think you're right about Washington is that it's, he's, I don't think he's as massive, but he's been in

massive things. I mean, like, and obviously, and obviously from who his dad is and everything, too, he, he gets, he gets the spotlight, you know, and he's, he's a, he's very good actor. I just don't know if you need that kind of star recognition now to do it. But the only reason, I'll tell you why, it wind up, it might wind up being him is because of the rumor that Denzel Washington is in the third movie. That's interesting. And I think that there's probably something at play there. Have the two of them been in a movie together? I don't think so.

So it's one of two things. It's either this will be the first one that they do together or they stick with that thing of like, nah, you know what? We haven't done stuff together. Let's keep it separate. And I'll do Black Panther three. And then you'll be getting tons of offers,

you know, somewhere else. But I think it's going to be the former. I think he'll, I think the two of them will wind up doing something. I think he's going to want to be cast in this if Denzel is indeed in the third one. That would be. Yeah, I definitely could see that being a reality for sure. And that would be a fun reality.

I mean, that it is all about family. And I think that he's such a good actor in his own right, separate from his dad being like the most famous people of all time. So I think that would be a good. And it's been enough years where he's been in the industry making a name for him. that I think it would, it wouldn't be like, I think it would just be fun and really cool to watch something like that happened. But I also see people talking about Aldous Hodge.

I watched Cross. Did you check out that show? I haven't seen it yet. No, is it any good? It's good. Yeah, he's great. He makes the show. The show itself, I think it was like two episodes too long for me, but I did enjoy it.

But he consistently was awesome. He's a really good actor. So I can definitely see him. He definitely has the build for Black Panther. I feel like he made a play for it recently too. I feel like he didn't with the social media or whatever it might have been. I feel like he did. And the audience can correct me on that if not, if,

if not. But I felt like all this had made a play for it. And got a lot of support back. So I don't know. I think as we say, this is a developing story and we'll see what's going to go down. Did you watch Skeleton Crew the finale? Yes. Any good? It's good.

Oh, you had hesitation. You had hesitation in your voice. Was it not that did it not deliver? I got to a point where I wasn't at first and I felt so relieved because I feel like for the, there's been some Star Wars shows where I just start, I get to a point where I start nitpicking everything and then I just question how we like why that was the choice. And I was not feeling that way and I was just having fun with the show and thought it was super cute and I still end overall with thinking it was a very fun cute show and I enjoyed it. But some of the pent ultimate and the finale, there were some decisions by the characters and I was like, oh, that doesn't really make sense to me. Okay. So even if it's more geared towards children, like I'm like kids aren't stupid. Like it just felt

like there was one example of, um, I just feel like a kid would have. automatically just told their parent during this one. I know you, I know you so well now. It's like this is you're, you're being, you're being nice. You didn't,

you didn't love the episode, the last one. I didn't love that finale. I like the show. Yeah, I didn't like the show. Yeah, you said,

I like the show. Yeah, you've said that for sure. And a lot of people I've heard of like the, of the show in general. And I heard some people that, that, that I've seen mixed on the finale. I'm seeing mixed on the finale.

Yeah, because it's super open. ended like it feels like they did solve one problem but then they opened an entire pandora's box of like how does this how does that and the the place that they're inhabiting go after this yeah i don't know uh it's like it's so low on my list the thing if someone asked me the day is like oh you're going to do a full season review i'm like no um right now we're doing we're doing mcc rewatch or i'm doing rewatch sam's doing first time watching and i tell you were you no i don't know if you were on the show yet

because were you on last week you're on last week yeah yeah you were but i think i don't think it happened yet i lost um i lost the file the file was corrupted for the guardians of the galaxy one the reaction you lost it yeah i couldn't get it back it was i only got the end it was horrible it and i and i say this uh truthfully it was probably the best reaction we got so far Sam loved it. She was cracking up the whole time. It was volume three. One, one. Oh my God. No. I'm so sad for you. It was horrible. I mean, she had to see the movie, just that particular thing.

But then, so that's why I actually didn't. I'll explain that in a second. So I didn't have a show yesterday because we then filmed Ultron. And as we're filming about an hour in, I, 45 minutes, then I go, just to be safe. And I stopped recording and I hit it to record again. And then we got the reaction right after reaction. ended I stopped it and I was like okay files are good and then I shot and then we shot an outro and right as the atro was starting about three minutes in it said file corrupted again I'm like what I'm like what is happening so like and I checked the other files I checked the two files that I had

for Ultron I could see my video on it so it wasn't a corrupted video but it wasn't opening and I'm like why is this not opening and then I had to do all this maintenance on my computer and then on hard drives So I spent the whole day yesterday. I shot a reaction to Daredevil, which did you see the trailer for Daredevil yet? I haven't seen it yet. It's really good. So I did that. I shot a couple videos from my UAP channel.

And then I just put on my headphones and I just cleaned house yesterday. I was like I just worked on the drives all day long. I worked on the computer. I got everything going. So Sam came in and we did Ant Man. No problems. Had it ready to go. So we've done Ultron now, which comes out tomorrow.

Ant Man probably going to come out on Tuesday. and then Civil War following after that. It was so funny, I put a poll up on the channel to see. People still don't understand. There's some, most people do, but like I'll write, I'll go out of the four reactions that we have coming up,

which one are you looking forward to the most? And most people are clicking on the movie. And Civil War is dominating with like 80% or something. But there were a few comments like, well, why don't you just watch them in order? I'm like, huh? What do you mean? like why why would you watch them out of order from what people want to see the most?

And I, and every time I do a poll like that, it's like, people don't get like that we're doing this series. I'm like, no, we're watching it from the beginning. And from Iron Man on,

I'm saying out of the videos that we have coming up now. What are you excited about? Which one are you looking forward to the most? And they're like, well, I don't understand why you just watch it in the same way that we all watched it. So when it came out in the theater, it's like,

we are. I don't know, I don't get it. They were, they weren't being dushy about it. They were just, they just didn't, they just didn't answer or didn't understand the question,

but I was like, because that happened last time, I tried to word it as clear as, as it could be. And I was like, I don't know. It doesn't matter. Anyway,

so that's that. And then the other thing I was going to- Why was it corrupted? Sorry, I can't get past that. Because I know. Did you find the problem? Yeah,

I know what happened. Okay, good. This computer that I have is a very strong computer and it has a lot of memory. I shoot a lot of videos in 4K. and what happened was that I had taken one of these drives a while ago and I took them home and the OBS was putting every file that I had onto the hard drive, onto the external hard drive. So there was never any issue. I didn't realize there's a different file on the computer for movies that it kept putting all these big 4K files on. and they were all stored there and they were taken up tons of memories.

So it's like, the computer space is saying, no, you can't put anything more here. You can't put anything more here. We're done here. And so I cleared tons of video space, tons of things.

And it was hidden. It was like hidden. It wasn't like anywhere. I was like, where is, where I was like, because I was clearing files from other places. Like there's no files to clear.

There's like this hidden file that it was sending it to. But it's all taken care of now, which is, which is good. I can sleep. Yes. you can um so what i will do real quick is i want to tell i'm going to do something that i normally don't do because i was going to do this video later but i'm going to do it here staff i'm going to do a

review for the wolfman i'm going to do that i'm going to do it here and then i'm just going to clip it out and make it its own thing um but i'm going to do a review of the wolfman and i just got to bring up, I want to make sure I get the, everybody who's in this movie because I, I thought about it. I was going to do a separate video later. I was like, you know what, might as well just do it for the fans who are watching and for, and for Steph. So I'm going to do that. So let's get to it, ladies and gentlemen. Okay, here is my non-spoiler review for Wolfman. It is the latest movie by Lee Winell, of course, who did The Invisible Man. And I love The Emisible Man. I love The Emisible Man. I thought that movie was clever. I thought it was slick. I like the story. It had me,

there's a lot of different turns left and right and I could not wait. And I really like what Lee Wynnell is doing as a director. So this one is the monster movie Wolfman. It's got more of that kind of old school like 50s Wolfman look, but way more traditional when I say in today's effects, right? So you've got Christopher Abbott, Julia Garner and Matilda Firth are the family that basically have there's Christopher Abbott finds that you see him when he's younger he lives in the woods with his with his pops there's things going down in the woods you can take a guess what it is so years later with his family he's got to go back to those woods and all hell breaks loose there you go that's the story right now the question is does it hold up as far as that same kind of

invisible man clever story i don't feel like it did um it's direct very well. It shot beautifully. There were some creepy moments. I didn't love the look of the Wolfman. That was part of it. I didn't necessarily, I like Christopher Abbott as an actor. I didn't really care about his character at all. At times, I felt like, I'm like, come on, this guy's doing this again. Julia Garner, who I love from Ozark is basically in the same, maybe not as underused as Juno Temple was in Venom, but it's close. She's just kind of running around, and the kid trying to do some other things here and there, but for the most part, she doesn't really do what we know Julia Garner can do. What I applauded about it and the reason that this movie will be successful is because it costs like $7 million to make and they're able to make a really high quality movie out of $7 million proving you don't need to spend $200 million on a movie and still be effective. It's effective.

I mean, it definitely is. It's just it's way more traditional horror. And it's like, okay, chase, chase, chase. Wolfman chases this person, Wolfman chases, that person, Wolfman goes up here, you got to run away from the house, you got to run away over there, what's over there? Oh, it's a wolfman, it's scary. It's a jump shot. It's it's jump scare. It's this, it's that. And for me, I was like, it wasn't really anything to it. And that's what I liked so much about what Lee Wynel did the last time around. It's like there was so much more. You just, what the hell they can do with Invisible Man a lot. This one, like I said, it was just a

more traditional horror. It gets pretty graphic at times. And, with the effects and it didn't look cheesy. I'll say that. It definitely didn't look cheesy. The guys are very good director. The music was was was was creepy also, but for the most part was a miss for me. So I'm going to go 2.9 out of five for the Wolfman. I was really and I was excited for it. It's not one of these things you don't like horror movies. Horror movies that don't have a lot of depth to them. No, I don't. And I didn't think this one had a lot of depth. So that is my non-spoiler review for the Wolfman I ask you guys what do you think do you want to go see this movie do you care about

I want to see what the overall reviews were. I'll see if people disagree with me. Okay. We're going to see. We're going to see if they disagree with me because the Wolfman reviews are in. And Steph, just to give you an update. So you got to get to 80 in order to tie,

turn coat Mike Kalinowski and as friend Roxy. You're at eight right now. So you need 70. Yeah, you need 72 to tie. Okay. you guys yeah we'll see what they'll see what they do okay so here's here's the dark horizons wolfman reviews here it is and it says wolf man reviews are in unfortunately it doesn't appear to have gone down as well as his last attempt 66 reviews counted the new take on the

wherewolf legend has pulled in a very mixed reaction um um you about da badda bad I had to turn that stupid hat off. With 61% lower average of 6 out of 10, the top scores are decidedly lower as a terrible, 42% on Metacritic, they're pretty bad at 48 out of 100. It's a long way from the Invisible Man, which pulled a 91% of Rotten Tomatoes and was widely acclaimed.

Wolfman is expected to do well. The film was tracking for $17,21 million. That's what I'm saying. It's going to make money. And that's why Blumhouse is brilliant. Anyway, here's a sampling of reviews. It's not an instant classic, like, the this is bibbs i guarantee you bibbs is going to love it i haven't even i haven't even read the

review yet they were always on the same different page it's not an instant class of the invisible man i think you can live with that it's still a scary and interesting movie about a wolf man anchored by a haunting performance from abbott who understand the assignment and went for extra yeah i disagree completely i didn't think abbott was that great in this movie at all and i like him uh this isn't a re-imagining of the level of lewinnell's previous foray into the classic horror vaults the visible man but there's no shortage of intensity or gore i agree with that and not to mention Brank efficiency. I agree with that. That's a good. I mean, that's a good, that's true.

Whatever its strengths or weaknesses, every wherewolf movies ultimately judged by how well it handles the transformation and creature effects, and in that department, Wolfman is a dud. I get it. The more when else seems to make his bigger points resonate, the more conventional films narrative becomes, and you keep seeing that

here and there. Is this, you're not a big like horror monster person in general, right? Okay. Not huge, but I like vampires, obviously. Right. And I like Werewolf Stories. Okay. Is this something that you want to say?

Yeah, I am. And this is, not that it matters that much, but I didn't know Ryan Gosling was producing, and I think he produced this. Well, I think he was supposed to be in it. Oh, okay, so then he, Oh, that's, that's right.

You said that, I think. Yeah, I think he was originally supposed to be in it, and I think then they recast. Yeah, that would have been, I feel like it would have been, well, Ryan Gosling's a great actor, but he's just, like, so funny that I, I wonder if I would have thought it was funny.

But I do like Christopher Abbott, too. I obviously like Julia Garner. She's a great actress. I'm curious, I, this is one that I'll just like wait to see at home. But I think I'll, I think it'll be like a fun watch for home. Um, yeah, it was, um, it's, it is one of those movies just like it's, like I said, it's just a very traditional horror movie, unfortunately. I think that's, that's the, and not, that won't be unfortunate to some people.

It was unfortunate to me because I just really like what Lee and. I feel like I'm similar with you on that. And I really liked Invisible Man. Me too. I love that movie. It scared the shit out of me. Yeah. It was clever.

On the edge of my seat. Yes. It had on edge. You see this one said just, I mean, you know, this is, you could have a dollar for every time I said this,

but I disagree with Bibiani. Because he's like that there, it was scary. I didn't find it that scary. I didn't think the performance was that good. I think that it was just kind of like there. Um, it is so.

I don't know. I feel like this one wasn't like Invisible Man, which I, and I, and is it unfortunate to hold somebody to the same standard? I mean, maybe, but this is some, it was such a great movie. And I still, like I said, though, it's not one of those things, though, where you're like, oh, what happened?

The first movie was so good. This one's directed so poorly. It's directed, I think that maybe probably agreeing with Bebeon, it's directed like a traditional horror movie. And I just think that that I, that's, that's what bummed me. The story didn't do it for you. I didn't care about the family at all.

I like the little girl. Yeah, that's everything. Yeah, the little girl was good. She was, I mean, I cared to, but even, I don't know, I was going to spoil anything, but there's certain times things that she did. And I'm like, well, that's not the same thing she was doing about a half an hour ago, but the performance is really good. And like I said, I just, Julia Garner was the best part of Ozark.

She was so good in that show. She's so good. She's so good. And I was like, oh, come on. The prestigious beloved David Lynch has passed away at 78 years old.

David Lynch, this just came in. We saw it in the comment section and just saw, of course, from Twin Peaks and great many things. David Lynch, one of the greatest and unique directors in Hollywood history. He died at 78 years old. The sad news was revealed by his family on Lynch's official face. Facebook account. It is with deep regret as we, his family, announced the passing of the man, the artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There's a big hole in the world now that he is no longer with us. But as he would say, keep your eye on the donut and not on the whole. It's a beautiful day with golden, sunshine, and blue skies all the way. That's really awful. You and I talk about Dune all the time. You know, he was the first person to bring Dune to the big screen and many other things at Twin Peaks. he was just such a such a just incredible his eye you know visionary i think is the word people use and i think rightfully so um and he is he was he i mean the people who love david lynch's

movies i mean you know you're going to go in a bat for him so you know you hear this news story how you feel it's really sad i i mean like i knew he was older he's had such a long career and legendary career. And I actually, my family watched his movies a lot when we were growing up our Twin Peaks. And so I, this like reignites this inspiration to

watch some of the things I haven't seen. Because I, you go on his IMDB and it's like, oh my God, this guy has just done so many projects. He's so cool. And I feel like everyone, even if it's like not your favorite movies,

you would like respect his, style and there's got to be one that you like because there's so many different types of vibes he has going on but 78 is a good life but I feel like it is sad that it feels like there's like there's like should have been more 78 still there's still years in the 10 my dad my dad's almost 80 it was going to be 80 my father-in-law's over 80 my mother-in-law's over 80 yeah I feel like 88 is the okay so my dad the other day he's just like hey I got 10 more you years left in the tank i'm good like so

but 78 man and so he that's devastating it is and i you could see it even we've seen the comments kind of get lit up as we were talking about i was doing the review and i just saw the comments kind of lighting up that and rightfully so that david lynch had just passed away because he just meant so many to so many people

and yeah it's sad so again david lynch passing away today and i and the classy statement from his family and friends. So again, I think gone too soon, David Lynch, 78 years old. No easy transition from that, obviously. And we were talking about goonies and gremlins and whatnot. There are new films in the works, which is interesting.

Finally, after all these years, there's a new feature at deadline on Warner Brothers Discovery, and they have confirmed that new entries in the Goonies and Gremlin's franchises are in development at Warner Brothers Discovery. Chris Columbus, who wrote the original 1980s dark comedy creature feature, is linked to the new Gremlins, but the involvement of director Joe Dante is unclear. If you do, make it more like the first one and not the second one. Somewhere Bibbs and Scott Mans are shaking that I said that.

Dante has served as a consulting producer on the animated series Gremlin's Secret of the Maguire, which has been seen as something as a testbed for if there is still interest in the franchise. a Goonies fall Bob Euker passed away too oh man is that way that makes a lot more sense why Ellis sent me a picture of Bob Euker today so he's randomly sent me a picture of Bob Euker did Bob Euker pass today oh man don't tell me that no he was 90 damn it uh now that makes a lot more sense why Ellis sent it to me Bob Euker passed at 90 what the hell's going on today. Today sucks. Yeah, what the hell?

Anyway, now we're jumping back to the story. Goonies follow-up remains the most interesting prospect, though. Talk of a new Goonies has been floating around forever, but the death of director

Richard Donner seemed to scuttle those hopes. reports suggest there's still some life in the project, which would most likely be a legacy sequel, bringing back some of the child stars who are now adults with kids of their own on an adventure. Both projects are in development stages. Who knows when they might arrive? Okay, first things first.

Major League is one of my favorite movies of all time. Mr. Belvedere was a great show. Bob Euker was the best. Bob Euker, from being a wrestling fan, I always remember him at WrestleMania 3. Love Bob Euker. 90, though. know that's that's significant what we were saying that's a good that's a good time stamp yeah it sucks that he's gone it sucks but like you know in 78 you're like oh i think you know you still

there's still some more still some more 90 you're like 90 you're like 90 you live 90 yeah solid solid i ain't reaching 90 there's no way don't say that that's no way um but this is this is the clip they're going to take from the from the video when uh when i'm gone we'll take this one. He knew it. Anyway, so this, Bob Yucer again, that's sad. And I hate that, I hate that story. But jumping to the story we just talked about with Goonies and Gremlins, I think you could do both of these movies. I'm going to say, if I was in the room pitching for the Goonies, I would be voted out of the room because the kids thing

has been floating around forever because it was kids that made the movie what it was in 1985. And that's what everybody went to see was the kids. I would say, hey, why don't we have the kids go on the adventure for like the first 10 minutes and then they either get stuck, imprisoned, kidnapped, and the guineas, the original go and find them and do their own thing. Instead of doing what we did with Indiana Jones and doing what we did, everyone else, We're like, well, no, they're kind of in it, but it's really about that guy.

And it's like, but the problem is, can Corey Feldman and Sean Astin? I know Josh Brolin can keep the interest the same way they used to, probably not. So I get that they'd probably have to do younger kids, maybe do it in a cobra Kai kind of way. So doing it that way. And if you make it more of that kind of PG-1380s feel, And I don't mean shooting like an 80s movies, clearly won't be an 80s period piece. But I mean like where you can have the kids cursing

and you can do something. You're not just making it geared towards children because the Goonies wasn't just geared towards children. Like that was, I mean, there was a lot of, there was cursing in it. There was the potty's all the stuff. Everybody enjoyed that movie. And that's what I hope they can do.

As far as Gremlin's, you could do a Gremlin's movie tomorrow. Yeah, yeah. I, uh, Gounies, I feel like that's a what you just described is exactly what they tried to do with skeleton crew, minus the fact that it was clearly, I know some people disagree with me, but it is more for a younger generation in the writing.

That's how I think. The skeleton crew is 100% geared towards children. Yeah, it doesn't mean that not everyone can watch it. I'm clearly watching it, but it was geared towards children. Yes, 100%. It was kind of that, you know, treasure hunt, the parents got involved a little bit, but not too much.

It was the kid's story. So I like that. I think that's kind of what Ghostbusters did. And it is a lot about the kids, but you know, you have like Paul Rudd in there too. I don't know. Like legacy sequels are usually fine for me. With the rare exception of Top Gun Maverick, where I'm like, that was like a legacy sequel that just feels like it stands in its own right completely.

I know that there's more, but just coming to the top of my head, like to me, legacy sequels are always going to be like good and fine, especially if it comes from like a really great original place. But they're, they don't like change anything if that makes sense. Yeah, I'm not like so excited for it. I'm just like, oh, I would check that out. Like, hocus, pocus too.

I'm like, I definitely watched that on Disney Plus. And it was cute and it was good. And it's a solid win for the networks. For me, it's show me a trailer and show me that you understood the magic that was there before. And then you're not just trying to capitalize off the sequel, right? Show me the magic, because there was magic behind both of those movies. And the first, and that's why I say the first gremlins had a horror feel to it, you know,

but it was also it, I love the first gremlins. I hate the second movie. There are some people who love the second movie. Again, I mentioned Mance and Bibbs who like it better than the first one, which I think is lunacy. It's just like a, and Joe, Dante said as much. It's like a spoof on the first one. And like he was asked to do the second one, but he wanted to do a kind of satirical play on it. So they told him, yeah, I can't remember the full story behind it, but I hate it. I think it's so stupid. I don't like when they change the tones.

Like if the first movie was the same way, then okay, to make this second movie. Yeah, I hear you. Yeah, I agree. But I do think in terms of the goonies, if I'm looking at the cast, like Sean Aston, Josh Brolin, like you mentioned, and then Kei Huai Kwan. Oh yeah, of course. That's, that is,

that's, now we're talking. Like, when I'm really looking at it, that, that's pretty solid. And I, and Corey Feldman, obviously, it will always have a place in my heart. He has some of, like, the best kid roles ever.

And I feel like if he wants to do it, that'd be great. Like, I, I think, like, they do have something there that could be pretty funny. Um, but. They have to put their foot down. if Corey Feldman says he wants to sing a song for the movie, they have to put a footoff.

All right, last story that we're going to get to before we get to the questions here is James Mangold is talking about the standalone swamp thing movie. DC people weren't really, it's, it is part of the DCU. So people are, well, wait a minute. How is this a standalone? You'll hear his comments and I think you'll get it out there and still talking up his Bob Dylan biopic, a complete unknown. James Mangold did tease another project that he's involved with.

Swamp Thing movie at DC Studios. The filmmaker has both that DC project and Star Wars by the origins of the Jedi in the work. He has spoken fairly regularly about the Star Wars film, which looks like it will move forward before the Swamp Thing movie arrives. Both films, he'll be getting a certain amount of creative freedom that many filmmakers and big franchises rarely get. Star Wars, because it takes place around 25,000 years before Lucas directed trilogies, there's a little in the way of the lore that he has to watch out for. Speaking to movie web recently, he says a swamp thing. He's approaching it as if it were a standalone creature feature and not part of a larger franchise, even if it's confirmed to be part of the DC universe. He said, while I'm sure DC views Swamping as a franchise, I would be viewing it as a very simple, clean, gothic horror movie about this man, monster, just doing my own thing with this, just to stand alone. DC Studios chief James Gunn has indicated no project that the studio will move forward until the script is in the right place that it needs to be.

He's not afraid of standalone creature features either with the DC you set my. Mike Flanagan, Clayface Film doing a similar approach. Okay. So the way I read this stuff is that, yeah, clearly they're going to be able to do standalone movies and things of, it's still related to the DCU and all that. But it was mangled saying, again, if you were going to break down these comments,

he goes, well, look, here's the deal. They can do whatever they want with the, with it moving forward. I'm on for one. That's all I'm doing. I'm doing one. Not doing three. I'm not doing four.

I'm doing one. I'll set the tone. I'm going to do a horror movie. do a standalone thing with it. If they like it, they can do whatever the hell they want with it. But that's the movie I'm making. I'm one and done. That's the way I read this. That's hysterical. Now that I've heard that I don't know if I can unsee what I formerly thought. What did you think? Oh, I just think it was, I just like the idea of swamping is it. And the same thing with Clayface. Or they're very specific characters that are going to have to just like in order for them to be really good, unique,

movies, I think they have to be a standalone, like living within the universe, but with this expectation of, you know, a trilogy or like completely being coherent within the new DCEU, I think that's too much pressure for characters like that. And it just makes a lot more sense for me to be like, oh yeah, especially with these creators attached to it. It's like, just do do your own thing with these ones, these movies. Right. Yeah. And especially him. And it's, there's, sometimes that the, and this is the beauty of the DC universe is that they're not, and James Gunn has said this, they're not,

not every movie connects to one particular big storyline in the way that like the MCU was in phase one, two and three. It was all leading to Thanos and everything else to. That's not what this is doing. There's some that are going to connect to each other. And there's other ones that are just going to live on their own and they form it. Now, I saw someone in the comments,

but I didn't find the article. I was looking, speaking of the DCU, you know, there's all these talks about, um, uh, Matt Reeves.

and DCU Batman and Robert Pattinson and had an interview with Josh Harwoods not too long ago where he had this thing. Someone wrote in the comments that Matt Reeves said that he felt like he was being set up from that interview. Like, I couldn't find that article. Where's that article? Yeah.

That I'll read immediately because I didn't see that at all. Can someone either put that in the comments section or tell me where to find it? Because I'm curious. I'd like to read that. And when she first came into the house, he started like feverishly drooling and foaming at the mouth. And then he was such a like high IQ emotional dog. He would only be where we were in the house. And for the first time ever, he like looked at all of us in the living room and then like turned really dramatically and went into the other room and slept there for the rest of the days. so diva-y

right now that you think you're going to actually get even remotely close to that food stop that's good that's a good workout for him hardly he's a he's a he's a he's a fallible donut but he's uh you are now this is like your life is really becoming what it needed to be you're back in the east coast eating pizza and deli sandwiches. Skeleton crew is charming, but unremarkable show that probably earned a lot of goodwill because it was better than the accolite, but that's a low bar. Well, yeah, but he's look at the, look who you had making it, right? John Watts is a very good, he's a very good filmmaker.

Yeah, it's a good filmmaker. He's a good storyteller. And then you had the directors that you had, you had a great team working with it. The problem is that I don't think it was the right time to do that show. In the same way that I mentioned like Guardians and Galaxy, right? Gardens and Galaxy was the, when they put that movie out, it was the right time to put it out because Marvel was just putting out hit after hit after hit. And they said, okay, and I don't care if you like Thor of the Dark World or not, it was still a hit in the movie theater.

And it still had goodwill. It wasn't like people were, people weren't turned off by it. You know, people were waiting for the next one. So when you're like, okay, well, what are they introducing now? Guardians of the Galaxy. What's that? Who knows? Let's go see it.

And if you did that today, just unknown. When I was doing this Guardians of the Galaxy thing, well, what's that? I don't know what that is. I'm not going to see that. And you put just a bunch of kids in there in the movie and you guarantee it's not going to work. So it doesn't matter how good it is. Because you go, you can say, okay, Star Wars has not had a good show or a movie since

what? well and or Mandalorian Season 2 right but the majority of everything else TV show and movies have been like what are you doing now are you going to go nights are a public you're going to do something you're going to go back and do

something else what are you going to do now we're doing a show that just focuses around kids oh okay I'm not going to watch that one but I hope some other people do and they like it and people who watch it really like it it was not the time to do this show at all yeah I can

I can completely empathize with this statement, EWK, but I'm excited for the second season of Andor and kind of this next, it would be just like nice to get some trailers out or like photo art or anything like on set for their next projects to kind of see what the direction they're choosing to go in. That movie's going to be like three, both of them be like three hours long. They have to be. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure they're going to be. Yeah, there's too many characters. Too many and everything they have to do.

That'd be cool yet because of the events of what happened last time that's actually pretty great i love that idea sim and it's really i mean because if you remember the events in no way home and nobody remembers uh him's peter parker so that makes sense that that would happen if he does i'd like to see him make a cameo in deer devil also and that's possible to do because they could film that tomorrow if they wanted to

well yeah they could they can film tomorrow it comes out in march they don't do they don't disney doesn't dump all the episodes at once so if it's the season finale they're like hey let's get Tom Holland in here, do something real quick. And, you know, we'll do like a little post-credit scene for the end of it and have everybody talking about it. What do you think so? Yeah, that would be really cool. I don't think it would happen.

No? You know, Spider-Man's in a little bit. Tom Holland is like so busy right now. But Daredevil is supposed to look, Daredevil and Spider-Man have a very connected cast in the comic books. And he was in his movie and No Way Home. he was there there's rumors that he that daredevil might pop up in the spider man movie it's it's possible yeah maybe and i mean honestly they even if he couldn't come in for filming they could

just have him in full costume and then do uh voiceover too uh but i i i don't know exactly what his schedule is but i feel like he has like four different movies he's shooting right now and he just got engaged the man's busy but i could see it happening especially because they have invested so much time into daredevil as a character moving forward with the MCU so it would make sense to integrate him with the probably most beloved character that's like staying right now. So it would make sense totally. I just feel like logistically it will be a little tough, but they might have already done it. That's what I mean.

You can basically do it a couple of days if you want to do as a cameo. Mike Joyce, have you seen the new trailer for the monkey?
