D23 has come and gone. The Mandalorian, Tales From The Jedi, Bad Batch, Ahsoka, The Skeleton Crew all got a mention or some footage, but nothing on The Acolyte. Not a mention, no word. Should we be wo...rried? Will this show see some issues like some movies in the past or is this worry for nothing? Kristian, Stpeh and ike Kalinowski discuss this and more on today's show! #StarWars #TheAcolyte #D23 #ahsoka #andor GET MY BOOKIE APP AND USE THE CODE BIG THING https://mybookie.website/BigThing ATHLETIC GREENS: http://www.athleticgreens.com/BIGTHING AMAZON WISHLIST: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1KPH42T0TP0PG?ref=cm_sw_em_r_un_un_djbxgIW5ZQMMg PATREON: http://www.patreon.com/thebigthingshow SCHMOEDOWN ARCHIVE CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheMovieTriviaSchmoedownArchives Ask Kristian questions for next time! https://facebook.com/harloff Become a Patreon of the Schmoedown: http://patreon.com/schmoedown OTHER GREAT CONTENT: REVIEWS https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSJdE28YyUT368qY7sfE0nKE4c04CqGvu TV REVIEWS https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSJdE28YyUT1LU-t2Z9AD5UJDiWW4pS_E STAR WARS SHOW https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSJdE28YyUT0XmfpbblkF9PY7uO2qhbN6 THE BIG THING PODCAST https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSJdE28YyUT3KAwbzDsv6mdR-gwUiydQg - CM Punk Interview: https://youtu.be/R8Js8uj6GfE FOLLOW KRISTIAN + FIND HIM ON CAMEO https://cameo.com/kristianharloff https://twitter.com/kristianharloff https://facebook.com/harloff https://instagram.com/kristianharloff Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:30 Happy Wednesday, everybody. Welcome back to Sith Council. Very excited today. Not only is the gang back. We're going to talk about, really going to talk about D23, a lot of it, to be honest. And there's some other things that are out there
Starting point is 00:00:45 that we'll talk about, and or is right around the corner. But I have to ask a question. I'm probably going to put this as the title. Are they ignoring the accolite at this point? It's like, what's happening to the accolades? It's like, they're not even, it's, I don't need a trailer.
Starting point is 00:01:00 I don't need footage. I just need you to tell me that it's still happening. And there was none of that at D23. It was like the cousin no one wants to talk about. And I don't get it. To me, it's one of the most anticipated shows. And unless we talked about it on this show, I don't even know if you would know it existed.
Starting point is 00:01:20 But we'll talk about that. I'm fine. How are you? So we have that. We got Andor coming up. We've got a lot of the things that happened at D23 as far. as the skeleton crew had a little bit more information. Mandalorian, I guess, showed, as they said, a brand new trailer.
Starting point is 00:01:38 It seemed like the same trailer to me. And then Asoka didn't show much. And Tales of the Jedi looked fantastic. And we finally get a date for Bad Batch Season 2. So we'll talk about all that and more on Sith Council. So make sure if you haven't already done it, please do me a favor and go ahead and subscribe to the channel. trying to get the 70,000 by the end of the year. We'd love to have you along for the journey.
Starting point is 00:02:05 And I also like to thank every single one of you, whether you put a like on this video, whether you've put a like in the past, a comment, whether you've joined patron, anything that you've ever done, and especially if you have donated to the studio. Starting point is 00:03:25 Well, there you go. So you are back. And yeah, and this is absolutely, it's a work in progress, but we got a lot of stuff. If you look at the, that's the wide shot now. And you can see that the screen in the back there. Yeah. We that was again Dude to everybody out there man

Starting point is 00:03:56 Now you got a box of cock over there What? What? You're box a cock Box of cock Yeah I know it's it's he's What is cock? What is it?
Starting point is 00:04:07 Here we go. Set it up and knock it out. He sets you up for that. What's cock? Well, I'm not afraid to say yet. I just want to know if there was another term. It's C-A-U-L-K. It's a culk, like, chalk.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Just let's move on. Go to one, Mike. Go to home depot and pick up the cork. Now, you know what? Go get your cock. What I need to do actually do is like, I'm going to get to see you. You're very proud of yourself. God, I love you.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I've missed you and I've loved you. Why is you for me if you're talking to your microphone. I'm talking to my microphone right here? Yeah, just move it closer to you because it sounds too far away. All right, there we go. Is that better? Much better. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:39 So, okay, I want to get, there's Mike, and I want to make sure that I can actually get him on the, one of the things that we have is, shush your face. We were able to actually get this stream deck, which is fantastic. I just got to add your actual, I want to make sure that I can add you to this thing, and I'll do that right now. Look at that. Yeah, I'm going to do it in a second. And I'm just going to callinowski.
Starting point is 00:05:04 And that's it. We got you. Okay, great. Kyle. Perfect. Nice. So now right there. Perfect.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Perfect. Perfect. And perfect. Great. All right. So let's get into some of this stuff. We were we talking to you guys about, were you following D23 at all? I was following it.
Starting point is 00:05:19 I was following you at the time, same time. Yeah. Five updates. You know, it's funny because I was so curious when I was going whether or not it was going to be worth it. I was like, oh, man, if they actually show that a Soka trailer and put it online and we don't get a chance to like and react to it. It's going to be, it's going to hurt.
Starting point is 00:05:34 the channel. And for Star Wars? Yeah. There was nothing that came to us. So hold on, real quick. I've never been a D23. It's not like celebration. It's more for,
Starting point is 00:05:44 it's more of like a. It's celebration, but for Disney. Okay. Do they have a floor with Bootson, common? I think, I think the floor was better
Starting point is 00:05:53 at D23 than it was. It's basically Disney's Comic-Con for them just. Well, think about it. Where celebration is one entity. Right. This is everything. This is all these.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Okay. And it stretches for a while. Have you ever been? No. Oh, you would love it. Yeah. It's right up your alley. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:11 I actually think that the live action animation panel on Friday was far superior than the one on Saturday. And I thought that it would be the opposite. Yeah. Saving the bigger stuff for the Saturday. But, I mean, I guess just bigger announcements, you know, I do. I mean, we can, we'll obviously focus more on Star Wars, but I think that people might have been, including myself, too harsh on Marvel than the expectations.
Starting point is 00:06:34 overall, but I think that, because they've delivered in the past, they've delivered at Comic-Con, they've delivered at times, and how much besides, like, Fantastic Four and a few cast announcements could they really done? I just think Star Wars took the ball, just dropped it, and they were at, we both were at celebration. Yeah. You were not at Comic-Con Hall-Age.
Starting point is 00:06:55 No. You weren't or were? She was a Comic-com, but not Hall-A-H. Okay. So the general consensus I got was, that was the big announcements. Yeah. This was more production updates. Like, hey, this is where we are.
Starting point is 00:07:07 This starting filming. This is filming. This is filming. This is in production. It was a lot of footage. A huge big thing, though, is the big of all the, like, we're going to see the fantastic forecast. Henry Cavill's going to be announced. And it was all BS.
Starting point is 00:07:19 And you knew it going in, but that's what the clickbait hypes up everyone. And then the internet takes and runs with it. But that's why I don't blame them for that because that's not anything that they promised. Right. That's what I'm saying. They didn't promise anything. Now, but now the, throwing it back to Star Wars. That's the thing, though,
Starting point is 00:07:33 that people are going to go, well, Star Wars never promised anything. Right. And that's very much, that's true. The difference is Marvel didn't have to promise anything. Marvel has delivered in the past many times over, and they're not trying to move their way back on. Comic-Con was huge for them. Right.
Starting point is 00:07:47 That was their massive. Right, and they delivered in July. Now, people could say, don't you think celebration delivered? Maybe, but again, the difference is, Star Wars has to keep delivering. Marvel can take a, can take, like, well, it's fine. Star Wars needs to hit every time they're out. But Steph, you know, overall from what you heard,
Starting point is 00:08:06 were you satisfied with the stuff that you heard from this announcements? I wish we got more accolade stuff. But I was, I liked what they, the day before Disney, the D23, I think they dropped a 10-minute and or look. Yeah. And in that they had an extended scene. So I was pretty excited that they did that for people who weren't going to D-23, and it was really sick.
Starting point is 00:08:31 You should check it out if you haven't already. but I yeah they did more stuff on on the Disney Plus app because they dropped the OB-1 look uh the thing yeah so I was I was like overall I'm getting enough to be satisfied but I think that they're just focusing on the shows coming out right now yeah but that was even then though like you look at let's so let's see like the whole granted it's it's South Council and it's usually Star Wars well let's do Lucasfilm right okay so Lucasfilm panel starts out with and or. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Understandable. There's shows coming out in a week, two weeks, whenever it's coming out. You want to promote it. You bring out your star. You get people hyped. You want to talk about a little bit more. 100% job done well. People are hyped about it.
Starting point is 00:09:16 So you have to do that. And what they showed worked. It was another little, you know, teaser as far as everything coming out. And I didn't need any more because the show's coming out. Right. So then they go with Willow, right? And again, had it at celebration. Which they didn't need at celebration.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Right. Understandable that it's at D23 a couple months before it comes out. Yeah. It's a fantasy show. They want to push it. And honestly, the trailer that they showed at D23 was pretty damn good. Oh, that's good. And it looks good.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Okay. It felt like a filler at celebration. It did. And it looks like a fantasy show that I was very interested in. Oh, good. Yeah. So you started with those two. Okay, great.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Now let's get into Star Wars, right? So they go with Bad Batch. Okay. And now bad batch, we finally, I'm like, okay, well, what's, they don't show, when they, when they started talking about, they brought Faloni on, he starts talking and I'm like, okay, we're going to get a bad batch trailer. And they don't show a trailer. And I was okay with that.
Starting point is 00:10:10 I think other people, which is interesting because they did show a trailer at celebration. And they haven't released one yet. Well, they think they released it. They released it when, when you saw it. But they, but still, nothing at all, which is fine, because I didn't really care about that as much as I'm like, well, at least give us the date. And they did. And because people were saying, no, no, no, it's still going to happen and it's still going to be the same time as Andor.
Starting point is 00:10:32 I'm like, that's stupid. When we were last week. We thought it was going to be this summer I was going to release. They kept switching it up. But then they changed Andor's release dates and everything too. And Steph and I were on the air last week. And we were reading it and I go, that's stupid. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:44 And they didn't stay stupid. They went smart and they're releasing it in January before the Mandalorian. Yeah. Very smart. So, okay, so right now Lucasfilm, nothing big, but predictable and understandable. Yeah. for. Then the Manalorian comes out. Same stuff. It's like, oh, no, no, no. Excuse me. They start with Asoka.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Asoka was the first thing. Okay. And because they did Tales from the Jedi, they show the same do you guys watch the Tales from the Jedi? Yeah, so good. So let's get your thoughts on that first. Then we'll, then we'll keep going on. But first, Steph, tell me about, you watch Tales from the Jedi. You see the, the first time you saw the trailer? Yeah. What do you think? I thought it was epic. I was like so excited for it. I love that they're sticking with the cloning. Wars animation style. I like that Ashley X-Steen's back for that animated role because I feel like she is the voice of animated Asoka.
Starting point is 00:11:35 And I just, Asoka's such a cool character that we're going to get her backstory to me is so cool. Like, I'm excited for that. Yeah. What do you, Mike, did you watch the trailer?
Starting point is 00:11:45 Yeah, this was announced, was it announced? Celebration. Yeah. Well, they announced it. They got on stuff and everything.
Starting point is 00:11:50 Yeah. And then there was a trailer that they did show and it was this one. Yeah. And, but they've released it to the public. Yeah. At D23. I think it's,
Starting point is 00:11:57 like, What I love about Star Wars for some reason with their animation, I don't know if it's because Clone Wars was such a big hit. People tend to incorporate that more with overall Star Wars. As opposed to like Marvel, what if kind of people like, eh, it's fine. They don't realize that's part of the world. But Star Wars has been such a great part of the animation that we all just embrace it for the most part.
Starting point is 00:12:18 So I think that that's great. The Duke Gustav is cool too. I loved the Duke of stuff. So I had not seen that trailer yet. It was one of the things I was most bummed about that. I missed at celebration. I can't remember. You and I were like walking on the floor or something.
Starting point is 00:12:30 They didn't put it a panel. It wasn't shown. It was shown when we were walking. They did it? They paired it with something. Yeah. It was. There was another panel that we didn't go to that they showed it.
Starting point is 00:12:38 And it wasn't in that main one. No, I don't remember what it was. But so either way, I was looking forward to it when they, when they talked about it, I was okay, hopefully they showed that same trailer. And they did. Yeah. And I was same page as you guys. I said, okay, look, this is something that I want to see because of Duku and the idea of how, how
Starting point is 00:12:56 how Zoko was. found and then they're so I'm like this is a great animated series so again so going back into what we're talking about the animated thing that they showed so far okay that's new but the same because they showed the celebration so nothing new yet so then we get to asoka I'm like all right now this is where we're going to start to get big here because they already showed that little teaser at celebration right and then the day before they announced or there was a leak that they and I don't have the actor's name but they announced that the actor who was announced for play to play Ezra yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:13:27 I'll pull it up. So, and I'm like, okay, well, if that's the case, if they are leaking this, and we already know that we have a couple other cast, I mean, we're probably going to get a cast announcement here. So then they start talking about Asoka and how Flonis excited about bringing her back. And I'm like, all right, well, no cast, nothing. All right, well, what about that teaser? You guys are going to show that teaser to those people?
Starting point is 00:13:50 Then they move on the Manelorian. And I'm like, wait, what happened to the rest? Wait, what happened to the cast? What happened to that teaser? Like, nothing? Like a day, and then it's coming out. And then it's coming out next year. No date, nothing?
Starting point is 00:14:05 And they just move on. And it's like, why even bothered talking about it? Yeah. It's at that point, it's like this, it's less than you ever said celebration. And it's, so that was like not great. Because people were in the audience going, wait, that's it for Asoka. That's, that's, that's, that's. Yeah, because they were filming during celebration.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Rosario sent in a video of them on set filming. I mean, it's fondy. That's who. Iman Esfandi. Imman Isfandi. That's who's apparently cast. Not confirmed, but... Now, that wasn't confirmed?
Starting point is 00:14:33 No. No. This is still not confirmed with this guy. Are you sure? No. I mean, that's Boris Kit and somebody else who reported on that.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Boris Kit was in the audience, by the way. Because then I was wondering why they didn't announce him, bring him out. I was like, that's insane. They didn't announce anybody, dude.
Starting point is 00:14:48 They didn't announce. And I was like, I was like, wow. I was, I was, then after they didn't announce anybody, I'm like, well, they're going to probably just show
Starting point is 00:14:54 that same teaser they showed last time. Nothing. Didn't even show the teaser? They didn't even show the teaser. They showed nothing. That's insane. It was nothing.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Because a lot of people, I'm sure, are there with like, all right, I couldn't make a celebration. Didn't want to go to Comic Con because Star Wars wasn't a Comic Con. Right. This, I'm going to go. Because at least I'll miss. I'll see what I miss. I'll be a celebration. I'll see what I miss.
Starting point is 00:15:12 That's crazy. It was crazy. So then they go and they move past that. And it's like, okay, I guess they're not doing anything in regards to. Was, was, uh, was Arroyo there? No. She wasn't even there? It was just Faloni and Kathleen Kennedy on stage talking.
Starting point is 00:15:27 talking about. Then they bring out Favro. Yeah. And so then they bring, then they start talking about I don't know, was it, Mandalorian first? I think it was Mandalorian first. They started talking about a Mandalorian. And then they bring out basically the same, the armor, Katie, John Carlo. Okay, so they're all there. Same thing. And then they, so they start talking about it and they're going on for a bit. And Kathleen Kennedy took a shot at the armorer, by the way. So with the actresses name, I'm so sorry for getting her name. Isn't it like Emily Swallows? Emily Swallows or Swallow.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Okay. So she's up there and she was giving this like really impassioned speech. The armor is. Yes. And talking for a bit, right? So Kathleen Kennedy goes, well, it looks like you're making up for a character that doesn't speak too much, huh?
Starting point is 00:16:12 And like, and everybody, and she like laughed it off and everybody was like, whoa! And Wendy Lee looks at me and she goes, that was scripted. And I go, I was looking at the monitor. That was not scripted.
Starting point is 00:16:24 And I was like, and she's like that was like a joke and it's like because even the armor she's like Emily was like and I'm like that was mean. Oh boy. And so but they laughed it off whatever too and then they start talking Katie had a really nice moment and they started and John Carlo who did always yeah takes over the screen every time or the stage every time he picks up the mic so he was fantastic but like I said. Pedro was there as well of course and Pedro was talking and Pedro had a lot
Starting point is 00:16:54 a lot to say. And they were, and they, very similar to what happened at celebration, right? Yeah, okay. But, like, the thing is, it's like, if you know that it's the same, it's basically the same thing, and it's the show after Andor that is coming out, so again, they're promoting it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:07 But then Favrele's like, we're going to show you a trailer that's never been shown before. It was pretty much the same exact trailer we saw. Maybe there was a few new shots, was there. That trailer was awesome. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:19 And they never released it after Celebration. No. No, and I think that that was it. It was a great one. The one that they, but they released this one now. It was the one where we, said it looked like a movie, right?
Starting point is 00:17:29 Yeah, and look, and look, this, this trailer that they put out, it was really good, but again, they spent a lot of time in the Mandalorian, which I get, I understand, but then there's nothing to leave for any newer projects, because you've spent a lot of time on Andor, you spend a lot of time on Willow, you spend a lot of time on that, nothing on Asoka, some stuff on the animation, so it really leaves, so someone next to me was like,
Starting point is 00:17:49 they're going to just talk about the movies. I go, if they talk about the movies, I'm going to run around this arena, eating my shoes. I'm like, there is no chance they talk about the movies right now. They're not talking about movies at all. I'm like at this point, no chance. I mean, maybe in the beginning I would have given you a little bit more of a thing, but there's no chance.
Starting point is 00:18:07 So then they move on to what's the next thing after that. Skeleton crew? Skeleton crew. So they bring out John Watson, you're the guy who are working on it. And I'm like, well, what do they? And they bring out Jude Law and they hardly talk about anything. Well, we don't have anything to show you, but we're excited. They're filming it.
Starting point is 00:18:21 And I guess that's going to come out after. Mando? After Asoka, I would assume, because they're filming that already. Yeah. Yeah, and Osuka was filming back at celebration. Yeah. Yeah, so I'm going at this point, where in the world is the acolyte? And I'm like, they've got to talk about it next.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Now, okay, the actor from Squid Game was cast. That was a... That's not official either? I don't know if it's official. What am I reading when these come out? You're reading reports from like... Hundreds that I trust. But you're reading most likely cast.
Starting point is 00:18:53 You're reading it's probably accurate. Yeah. But it's just not these... official announcements by Lucasville. Right. But it's official, I think. You could pretty much take it to the bank. The same way that I think that Jody Comer is probably...
Starting point is 00:19:07 Sue Storm. Yeah. Same thing. They weren't these random fan rumors are from... No. We got it covered in this. No, no, no. They're like, that's a credible source that always knows.
Starting point is 00:19:17 The Oscoe casting was from like Boris Kitt. Yeah. So, yeah. So, yeah. So 100% is probably... It's probably accurate. So you get to this point where, we're like, okay, well, they got to do acolyte. because at least it's the same thing with skeleton crew.
Starting point is 00:19:30 It's like, okay, if, if you don't have, but listen, you don't have anything from, from skeleton crew. You have nothing except Jude Law, right? You got Jude Law. Yeah. And that's it. And he has, as his character or whoever he is, right? With the kids, why not bring out a mandala and, and, oh God.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Who was cast in, and Leslie? And Leslie, Leslie. And yeah. Yeah. So bring, and maybe because of the controversy that was. going on with them recently? Controversy. I had this whole thing with some critic from the last movie that they were in.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Yeah, right. Exactly. Who cares? Who cares? So, who cares? So they, so the, that just comes and goes. And I'm like, wow, this is the second time celebration and this. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Yeah. Why are they ignoring this movie, this show stuff? What's happening? There must be some behind the scenes issues going on because I think it doesn't really make much sense? Like, maybe they're doing like what Obi-1 did remember when they like went in for rewrites and completely changed a lot of things. Like, I wonder if it's something like that or a casting issue. It seems like there has to be an issue going on because it doesn't make sense in terms of the lineup. What do you think? Do you feel that this is a movie situation where
Starting point is 00:20:47 they're going to lose someone and they're having creative differences and they're still trying to figure out, but they just don't have it there? The only one that would make sense, for that type of creative difference would be Leslie Henland, the showrunner. Yeah, I'm saying. Because you could lose cast right now because they haven't even start shooting anything yet, right? Or their schedules because it keeps being pushed.
Starting point is 00:21:06 But you need, maybe the showrunner, they're having problems. Maybe her and Medved and Jen are not getting along, so they're not going to be playing nice on a stage together. But it's just nuts that, like, you wouldn't even bring that out, because you've announced, you've talked about it, and there's casting rumors.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Is that the last TV show that they've announced that we don't know anything about? Lando. though, they announced it, but that's, but that's the difference, though. The difference is that that one was that is a, hey, when's Donald Glover-free? A hundred percent. We knocked this out. That was like, hey, we hope this one happens.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Yeah. This isn't like casting rumors. No, that's, like lore that's happening. They announced a Mandela at Star Wars Celebration on the press line. Oh, no, no, no, was that, it was Comic-Con. That was Comic-Con. Yeah. It was Comic-Con.
Starting point is 00:21:48 Yeah. And it was Comic-Con, where, because they didn't announce anything at Star Wars. We don't know anything story-wise with that. No. Just that it takes place. The time period. About 50 years before Phantom Menace and that it's ultimately about like the Sith kind of rising. So that strikes me is that has a pitch.
Starting point is 00:22:08 But now what they want to do with it is not what they want it. Like the showrunners like, I think that we should go with this and the higher ups like, now we wanted this. And that's this seems the time when creative differences are happening when they happen. It's hard to argue with you. I'm just going off the track record. No, I know. What we've seen in the past.
Starting point is 00:22:24 It's just like, If they would have said, and they would have brought Leslie out with Amandala and said, hey, same thing. Yeah. Here's Leslie. She can tell you a little bit about the series. And here's Amandala and the character, a little tease. We can't show you anything yet because we haven't filmed anything yet.
Starting point is 00:22:39 So here we go. If that happens, then I go, okay, then we were in good shape. But not even a mention it. I think the actress can't come out because she's like, I can't tell you what my character is because he keeps changing. I don't know. I'm on board, but I don't know what I'm doing. Nobody knows. So it's really bizarre.
Starting point is 00:22:57 It's really bizarre that they haven't even, like, it's like Lucasfilm never mentions them. It's like when you hear about, when you hear about the acolyte, it's either from Leslie in trades, it's, I think that when they did the whole Vanity Fair report, that's when we heard the most about it. Yeah, she did a full interview on it.
Starting point is 00:23:16 But it seems like, maybe they're like, well, we've got five shows in the pike before that. We don't need to talk about it right now. It's messy. But it's, we never figured out yet. But you've got to still acknowledge it a little bit, right? Yeah, I think when two of your shows are animated, then you should focus on a, like, you have room to focus on more live action.
Starting point is 00:23:34 Yeah, especially if you've announced it already. I don't know. You've talked about it. Yeah. If you talk about it in Vanity Fair, then you should talk about it at celebration. I think that is one of those, I think it's a creative differences thing that's happening. It's weird, man. But and with Assoca, because they were for sure filming during celebration.
Starting point is 00:23:47 The is weird. So that's four months. Soca is weird to me. The fact that they started filming about three or four days at celebration. And that was four months ago, right? There's no way they don't have a full episode done in the can. I think that's a Faloni thing. You think he's like, don't, I don't want to show anything.
Starting point is 00:24:03 I think Faloni, if I was to guess, and I have no insight on this at all, if I was the guess, I was a Flonis, like, I don't want to show anymore. Okay. I don't want to show anything. I don't want to talk about cast. I don't want to do anything. That's what I would, that's what I would guarantee it was a Flonie call. Of all the shows, since Mandoo, this is the most heavily tied to Clone Wars, right?
Starting point is 00:24:21 And rebels, that people are going to lose their mind for. or rebels. They're going to lose their mind for. Yeah. So that makes sense that, like, Mando, we didn't know anything. So they could show us a little more. This, rebels, they,
Starting point is 00:24:32 or Asoka, they show you something. People are like, oh, that's from, that's from, that's from, that's from, that's from that. And he doesn't want that. And I think it's also probably because they don't want to take the shine off of both and or the Mandalorian right now. Sure.
Starting point is 00:24:45 And they would. Yeah, but. Because we've seen both those characters already. And we've seen too many time with them. Yes. Much time with them. If it's public. But to,
Starting point is 00:24:53 D23 of Celebration already got a teaser. Yeah. We already saw some of the teaser stuff. Ready to show that teaser again? Yeah, I'm not to disagreeing with you. We got Sabine. Yeah. Yeah, she actually came out.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Show me who it's celebration. Show us who Hera is. I show us Hera. They haven't shown. Now, Sabine is Mary Elizabeth Wittsead? No, no, no. We think that she's Hera. That's not confirmed either?
Starting point is 00:25:15 Yeah, she's not confirmed. What is going on here? No, the only one is. We know she's in the show, right? We know, well, I think, I think, I think, E. McGregor spoiled that. Mary Elizabeth Winston. Yes.
Starting point is 00:25:26 She's it? Because I thought that was a given. She's cast. We knew that she got cast in something, but we don't know. We think she's Hera, but we don't know. We don't know. And wasn't her head in the back of a trailer, like the shot? We're like, oh, that's Hera.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Yes. That was that teaser that we saw her face because we couldn't tell if it was. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. All right. So that's what I'm saying. It's Natasha Lou Bordizzo.
Starting point is 00:25:45 That's Sabine. Yeah, that's Sabine. Yeah. And now is Mary Lizzo Vincent doesn't have a name yet? She's just cast. Just cast. Officially. We think.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I can't with this. So look, so anyway, look, before we move on, I do want to say, look, tomorrow, the NFL season, it continues, man. Starting point is 00:27:07 And now another no-brainer money-saving tip from Progressive. It looks like your luggage is over 50 pounds. Is there anything you can take out? Oh, yeah. Let me just toss all these $20 bills. Great. Let me grab your trash can. Stop.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Instead of throwing money away, move some clothes, into a carry-on. And here's a better tip from Progressive on how not to waste money. Don't pay too much for car insurance. Drivers who switch and save could save hundreds. Progressive Casualty Insurance Company and affiliates, potential savings will vary. Let's move on.
Starting point is 00:27:41 Let's keep going. So that's pretty much the end of the Star Wars portion of D-23. Because then they bring Indiana Jones and thank God for that. Indy was after Star Wars. That was the, that closed it out. They needed, because that was like the big hit, right?
Starting point is 00:27:58 That was, that was the hit. Yeah. And that was the one, that was, what they did with Indy is what I was kind of crossing my fingers that they would do for the rest of the panel during Star Wars, right? Like, certain things like that. Hold on. And not a single film. Mention, talked about nothing. No, we knew that was not.
Starting point is 00:28:15 That to me is smart, because they have no plan right now. Of course. But that debate rages on with you and I about this, but I think that Tyca film is gone. That's done. I hope you're right, but I think you're wrong. You want Love and Thunder in the Star Wars universe? She does. I know you do.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Absolutely not. No. I like serious stuff, but I know you do. I love Love and Thundon. Yeah, I'm going to pass on that one. But I also don't think I want Star Wars to lead with a comedy, if that's the case. I'm with you on that. I'm not against you on that.
Starting point is 00:28:47 No. But either way, I think they don't have a plan for it. So I'd rather than not even talk about it. That's fair enough. They learn the lesson on that. Yeah. But what they do is they go and they put out Cindyana Jones thing.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Yeah. And Harrison Ford comes out and you can see it on this channel. I have the, I have his, his emotional speech. I've never seen him get as choked up as he did. And it was, it was great.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Yeah. You and I have been on the opposite side of this. Like the second it was announced, I was pumped for it because of mangled. Right. Now, I love Spielberg, but I think that Spielberg's best stuff right now
Starting point is 00:29:19 is this stuff closer to his heart and things like, whether it's Westside Story or. Fableman's. Right? Yeah. The people's got coming out of the post, like things like that. Yeah. That's the stuff I want to see Spielberg doing because I feel like that's the stuff he's really locked into right now.
Starting point is 00:29:31 The big blockbuster stuff that he used to do, I just don't think that's his game right now. Yeah. Now, not the case for, what's his face? Mangold, man. Because Mangold, whether it's Logan or Ford versus Ferrari. Yeah. Or, I mean, going back to more. Copeland.
Starting point is 00:29:50 I mean, like, that's right. Yeah, the guy is just so good. this movie, Mike, you're going to lose your mind of this trailer. I did not want this film. I had no desire for another indie film. This is coming from biggest Indian Indians fan of the world. Like I was like, I didn't know. After what we got last one, I was like, but I was like, well, it's Mangal.
Starting point is 00:30:10 And if this is his last one and he does, you know, he's pulling his Logan with indie. I'm like, all right. All right. I'm telling you. And everything I've seen casting, this, this, you know, is like, it's all there. Yeah. I'm just going in. When this trailer, when this trailer drops.
Starting point is 00:30:24 I heard. I heard. They're going to lose. It looks, it's, it's got Indiana Jones humor, but it's not cheesy. That's really cool. I hope it has like a top one Maverick situation. Let me ask you, boys. Oh, here we go.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Would you, how mad would you be if there were space goats screaming in Star Wars? I actually liked the ghost. You know, the goats? I like that. For the first couple. Someone said they screamed 48 times in that movie. Yeah. That's the point of going, you have a funny bit.
Starting point is 00:30:54 It was funny for the first couple times. And then you just bashed it into the ground. 48 times? That's like family guy humor. I like that kind of humor. You know when Peter just goes on with the same joke over and over again until it's funny. Oohie's candy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Whoopies candy. Let's see if I get it. I want to see if I have some. You have the Indiana Jones trailer for us? Oh, that's not what I do. No. Oh. That's not it.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Oh, my. That wasn't it. I've had that on the entire time, haven't I? No, you haven't. Yeah, I did. I don't think so. That's all right. That's hilarious.
Starting point is 00:31:26 Yeah. But if we move... Talk about goats. I know. I want to move on to some of the other stuff here. Let's get to... Unless there's anything else you guys want to talk about with... I'm trying to think about because I was watching all your guys stuff and it just, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Did they just show the Andor trailer or did they show that extended scene? It's like a six-minute scene. Didn't show the scene. No. Because someone told me about that that scene was on and I didn't want to watch it because I mean, so I mean, Steph and I, we can't talk about it yet because it's under embargo, like, even social media, but we got the first four episodes of Andor. You did? I'm going to start watching it.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Oh, you haven't watched. I can't. Yeah. I can't talk about it. I can't say anything yet. I can't say anything yet. But we'll be able to talk about it soon. I know question knows what skirt, skirt.
Starting point is 00:32:18 And I actually will be able to see. I'm supposed to go to, like, the, there's an event for it tomorrow. and I was still take Brett with me. Yeah. All right. But we'll see. We'll see how that all depends out. If you and Brett vlogs together, I would watch it.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Yeah, we have. Did you see our out of the theater reaction for Bullet Train? No, but is it a vlog? Yeah, what do you think it is? I want to come along a day. Oh, all right, we'll see. What are you eating for dinner? Oh, you really want to get really involved.
Starting point is 00:32:48 I just want to know what's the Brett and Christian date. Well, we'll see how it works. All right, I want to go back into some of the news here. And here we go. Yeah. Where is it? Let's start. If there's anything in particular,
Starting point is 00:33:04 Mandalorian Season 3, that's a trailer. Latest News. I don't love how Star Wars NewsNet did their new thing. Skeleton Crew. This is all that stuff. This is all stuff that we saw, D-23. Skeleton Crew and Bill's first look at Jude Law. Here's that look.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Let's see. Yeah. Where is it? Do you have that picture? Yeah, there it is. And he looks like he's just like kind of, he. That's the picture they picked? Yeah, it looks, it kind of looks like Beckett from, you know, from solo.
Starting point is 00:33:37 These little, I drizzle, like Jabba's Palace and stuff that come out the walls. It looks like Amelia Earhart. Like he's. It's true. Yeah. The best. Not the best shot that they chose. Well, he can't.
Starting point is 00:33:52 look bad truly there's not a bad of an image you took like on an iPhone 8 and that's like what celebration is true let's see is there anything is I guess there's really nothing air heart there's really nothing going on right now yeah that's good and that's crazy coming out of so uh D23 this weekend and we're kind of like huh really not much talk about
Starting point is 00:34:19 I'll tell you what I'll that's crazy what I will bring up What is that? I want to bring up some of these questions that are out there. Okay. That from some of the audience, because there's really not a lot of news right now. I guess all the news kind of came out at D23. But we got a couple of questions here that we can talk about before we call it a day. So we'll start.
Starting point is 00:34:43 I'll bring these up here now. And by the way, once again, if you, we're probably going to read a lot of these from the YouTube's. So let's start here. I love to see a Borg-Gullet cameo in Andor. You think that is likely or not? Also, what other monster creature, alien, would you like to see pop up in these upcoming shows? Much love, Christian.
Starting point is 00:35:04 Thank you so much. What do you guys? Want to see? The Borgulet! What do you think? Do I want to see the Borgolet? No. No.
Starting point is 00:35:14 He's sitting under. Saw's home somewhere. But he's going to be there. So I'll be there. So I'll be there. So I don't know. Maybe we, maybe we, maybe we do see that.
Starting point is 00:35:23 But again, it's five years beforehand. Yeah. And when did he acquire it? We don't know when he got it. There's so many questions. It's true. He's sitting under his house there. Yeah, it's true.
Starting point is 00:35:37 We'll move to the next one here. Hold on. All right. Next question. Oh, you know what I wonder we'll see then? Tivik. You know the guy that he shoots at the beginning of Rogue One? Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Gets him the plans and stuff. I wonderful, because didn't they say season true? three ends up right like five minutes before Rogue One starts. So he'll be dealing with him and getting what he needs. Yeah, it could be. Okay, there we go. Dean Cook, love the way you've been doing this. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Do you feel that an episode 10 to 12 in decades time would bring the Star Wars fans together like Star Wars, the Force Awakens data? Or will we never have an era like the trilogy of trilogies? Thanks for sure. I actually think that you have a possibility of doing the opposite, to be honest with you. If you don't, because I don't understand what he's asking. basically saying so is it a trilogy that could basically unite the fan base back together again? And I think that the problem is right now, as we just said before, there's no, there's no plan.
Starting point is 00:36:33 And I don't think that they, I just think, I'd be honest, I just don't think that if you look at, I think Faloni Favro have their own plan that is going well. I think that they're running their, their sect right, their division right. I think that Tony Gilroy is running his thing, doing his thing, right? And I think it's just all spread out all over the place. Yeah. And it's like, it's not, it's not like, it just can, like you saw it, even when you talked about Marvel, it seemed like everybody was part of it.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Yeah. It seemed like each, you know what I mean? It seemed like each person was part of this big thing that they were doing. Even if you don't love all the announcements, it seemed like everybody it tied in, like, when they brought out like Vincent and Donofrio for Echo. And then it led into Daredevil. And then it led into the, and then Don Cheadle came out for something. And then that led into something else.
Starting point is 00:37:25 And then that led into something else. And it all led into something. This was just like, oh, this hired gun comes out and does this and does this. And this person, we're not sure what we're doing with this. And then this is over there. It's still, it's like they haven't learned. It's still sloppy as hell over there. It's so sloppy.
Starting point is 00:37:41 It's so fascinating to me because it's not like it's DC and Marvel where they are two separate studios. You're the same studio. You're the same One thing. You're in the mouse house. The same thing. Make a plan. Just make a plan.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Do you think Top Gun Maverick scuttled a rogue squadron movie? Or do you think it emboldened them? No, I don't know what I'm saying. But like after that, dog fight, arrow dog fight, this and the aerial combat, a bunch of pilots going up against impossible odds. It's like, well, they just did it.
Starting point is 00:38:12 And Top Gun just set the bar pretty high for anything that's going to do anything similar to that. They should hire Tom Cruise. To work on a squadron. I ain't going to do it, Star Wars. No, I don't know me. You don't know that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:24 He ain't doing Star Wars. I don't know. I think it just doesn't... It's frustrating because we don't know of any Star Wars movie on the horizon. No, and it's just a... So I don't think that right now putting a trilogy out there is the best idea unless it's... But I will say this. If the trilogy that was announced was announced by...
Starting point is 00:38:46 Philoni and Favro that connects into their universe that they're doing right now on TV. Yeah. Then I do because I think you, because you're basically uniting it more. And they, when you hear Follone and Favreau talking on stage, they have ideas and they have a vision. It's just not the overall grand scheme of Star Wars. It's just one particular thing. But, Steph, do you understand what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Between the two, I think definitely, like, even though you're saying they're in the same house, they're completely different entities. Like, I feel like they're missing, like a captain, so to speak. that puts them all together because there isn't like a cohesive union between the production. Not to compare again, but it's more like D.C. The movies and the TV have no clue what's going on
Starting point is 00:39:27 and they're not trying to do it. But that's, you know what, but the big difference there is, I don't disagree with you that it's similar. Yeah. The difference is, D.C. has brand new leadership that they just put in and they're trying. They have new leadership every two years. They also have an atomic bomb situation.
Starting point is 00:39:41 I know. Maybe so. But they're trying to clean up and do things Right. Restart. This is a... Oh, I know. I'm not... So it's like...
Starting point is 00:39:50 It's frustrating because you're like... It's super frustrating. You guys have had the same leadership for what? How long has Kennedy been in charge? Since 2012. At least. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:58 So she took over when Lucas sold it. Ten years. I know. And again, it's like you can... There's a lot of success that comes with it with as far as box office goes for sure and hit TV shows. So there's no doubt about it. It's just like there's a lot of things that like, as I was watching, you know, that I know that I know. I noticed, like I said, the Ackleine thing really spoke volumes to me.
Starting point is 00:40:18 That was part one. And then that joke to the armorer. Like sometimes she's a little tone deaf sometimes. Like she did that thing with Alden-Aren Reich when she kind of threw him under the bus too. She's done that a few different times. And I think it's like this kind of sense of humor like, ha-ha, isn't that funny? And it's like, you just embarrassed me in front of like thousands of people. Like it was, the woman was just talking about like spilling her guts out.
Starting point is 00:40:43 Watching? Yeah. her and watching Figi. Both producers. Two different schools of thought. Yeah. And they both came up in the film industry from lower positions. Like, if you go back and watch like the early, like,
Starting point is 00:40:56 I think it was either an X-Men film or one of those. You see Figey in the background at those big table in the pre-production. He's just writing notes, listening to everyone. You see Fagie back there. You're like, look at him. And Kennedy and all the early Indian Jones. She was always there. So they came up from that both, but just they went two different schools of how.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Very different. And she's still, I think that's the thing is she's, this is why I'm very confident in Indiana Jones with it because it's a one-off. And it's side and side. And I think that you can make that old school like kind of movie mentality of we've got the star, we've got a good director, we've got a script, go. Star Wars is in that same category as Marvel where it's like a, it's one story that's kind of connecting all the way through.
Starting point is 00:41:41 And he's a one-off. Yeah. And you can do that one-off. off mentality of bringing in one director. We have this hot director. We're going to do this. And we got the right story. We got the right take. Boom. We got it. You can't do that with Star Wars and Marvel right now.
Starting point is 00:41:54 It's got to all be together. And that's why I think that, I don't know, I don't think, I don't think the plan is there. I think the plan is there in portions of it, but not the whole thing yet. All right. Let's move on. Next question here
Starting point is 00:42:11 on the YouTube's. YouTube's diverses. When do you seriously think that we're going to get some live action Nightealer Republic? Either show or a film, I don't care. I just need it. Don't hold your breath, man.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Yeah. Don't hold your breath. I don't know, honestly. And I hate that this happened to me because I was in a place where I was like, okay, I still, I can't wait for Andor. I mean, I can't wait. And same with Asoka. You really came around on Andor.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Oh, me, very much so. But like the television, I'm still as much. much as invested as I was before. But like I really got bummed at a at celebration in the way that's like, oh, it's still not. They still don't have it together yet. Yeah, they need their mojo. Yeah, they still don't have it together. And I think that I don't, I don't think that they have.
Starting point is 00:43:01 And the act, well, let me if you answer that question. So I think that the acolyte, the ignoring of it made me realize that if Steph is right and Mike right about the fact that there's problems behind the set, behind the scenes. maybe there is, maybe there isn't, but if there is, it's also always seems to happen with the kind of, maybe some kind of material that they don't think without Skywalker's and without this, it's the first one that's not connected to this period
Starting point is 00:43:28 and it's so far back that they're probably terrified of it. And if that's the case, then the chances of seeing Knights of Republic are slim than none. What do you think so? I think like five years, realistically, maybe. I like, I like your monty. You've got such optimism. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:46 It ain't ever happening. You're really ever happening? No way. I can't say ever. There's just such a reticence between the higher-ups and anything that's been done like, Night's or the Republic is one of the most popular video games of all time by Star Wars. And I just think there's like, no, it's a video game. Nah, we're better than that.
Starting point is 00:44:03 So that mentality. Like, it's, no, the canon books. Yeah. Yeah. There's no canon. It's, you know what it is? It's less about, to me, that we're better than this. as much as I think that from what I've heard,
Starting point is 00:44:15 and whether it's true or not, and I've mentioned this before, is like the, I think that Kathleen Kennedy has a, well, that's two inside baseball. Oh, yeah, that's not enough, that enough people will buy into it.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Yeah, maybe enough people, maybe there's like a certain, you know, amount of people that like it, but it's not widespread enough. Like lost stars. It, it's,
Starting point is 00:44:33 that's only for the people who read the books. That's the Republic, that's only, if the story's good, people will come, it'll go. Yeah. And I think that they're,
Starting point is 00:44:41 and that's why they haven't adapted the books. And it wasn't since she said that we don't have canon. What she said was that we don't have source material. And that was an issue, right? So that's like, that's all the problems that I think that it's like, I do think the Knights of Republic will happen. Eventually, I don't think that Kathleen Kennedy will want to do this anymore, right? I think that she's going to want to move on to do something.
Starting point is 00:45:03 Yeah, because like any evolution of your career, right? Like, I think that she'll want to go on and do something else to move on to her next gig. Lucasfilm. She's not Star Wars. She's Lucas. She's Lucas. So Kennedy's got Indy, Willow, all these other things.
Starting point is 00:45:19 So I think there's a little more incentive to say. Because I thought for a while Figu's going to leave after like phase three. I was like he's going to move on. He doesn't seem like that at all. He doesn't even seem burnt out. So with Kennedy, he's got more pots to go with.
Starting point is 00:45:34 If she doesn't, like if Star Wars is not her bag. Because Indy, she grew up with the, like not grew up, but in the industry grew up with, I think she likes making movies. Yeah. I think that's what the thing is.
Starting point is 00:45:43 I think she loves making movies. And Lucasfilm and that thing peaks her interest. She's staying. Yeah. Well, you know what it is? I think that Kathleen Kennedy likes to make movies in the idea that why she's a producer, right? Right. She likes to put it together.
Starting point is 00:45:57 She likes to watch the director come apart. She comes to the writers to happen. She likes to form, make it all form together. And she likes to watch it happen. And then she likes to watch a hit. I don't think it's the actual story and all that other stuff that excites her. And she doesn't have to. No.
Starting point is 00:46:10 But I do think Star Wars needs someone like that That is excited about the stories as well Yeah, her husband's Rob Marshall, right? Yeah, but like Fagie, you could tell with Marvel It's just it's his blood, it's his thing Yeah So it's, you know, but he's a rarity Most producers are more like the Kennedy side
Starting point is 00:46:29 They love the industry, love making movies, They love putting the pieces together And letting them go and create And then product is there If she can hire, I feel like someone who she can bounce off with. But, like, I think there just needs to be a little switchup going on at the higher ups in Lucasville.
Starting point is 00:46:45 What if it's, what if it's, she's still what she does, but they get a separate one and let Star Wars have its own thing. Maybe that's too. Because Lucasfilm was so big. Lucasfilm was so big. That's a lot to handle. That's tons. I know.
Starting point is 00:46:56 I don't know. I don't know. All right. Let's get to a couple more. Yeah. All right. So should we worry about Akelyte after not hearing anything official about. about it after excuse me from Lucasoma D the Star Wars Celebration or D23 it's my most
Starting point is 00:47:13 anticipated show on their slate so them ignoring it makes me nervous thanks for the great show thank uh I love what you're doing with the channel thank you Robert uh yeah I mean we we kind of covered that for sure but I'll give it to Steph here too it's like this is this is something to me that makes um it does make me nervous and it wouldn't have if they would have done something as simple as to say here's Leslie here's Amanda we don't haven't filmed anything yet but we're excited Yeah, I think it's happening. I think they already got a mandala on board. They're really excited about it.
Starting point is 00:47:44 Leslie's excited about it. They're probably just having a slight hiccup. Maybe with production or where they're shooting. I don't know. I think it's going to happen. I hope you're right. Okay. We do.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Now, hold on, let me ask you this. With all those things, well, no, I just answered my own question. I was going to say that have the directors have left, like Benny Off and Weiss and all those guys. We never had a title for their project, but then some of the guys that have left, we have had their titles, and we knew a lot about it. But the Benny Hoff and Weiss, right? That's how their name? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:10 They never had a title. They were just working on an unnamed Star Wars project. The rumor was that they were working on the history of the first Jedi and the first Sith. And no cast, nothing. It was, okay. So maybe they're so far along. They're having created differences, but like, we can't drop you. Because they're so long.
Starting point is 00:48:29 I don't want to drop a lot. We got to work this out. It's just so. It's something's weird. It's just weird. that nothing has been... Not even mentioned. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:39 It's like... If it was mentioned, then it's like, okay, but not even mentioned, that's... Like, even concept art, like, hey, guys, we have nothing to talk about. We're still scripting. We don't want anything, but...
Starting point is 00:48:50 Our great production team have put these concept art out. Like, what they do with Marvel. I hate to compare the two, but Marvel always just, at least... Something. ...throves up a picture of here's what they look like in their outfits. All right, let's see.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Next one. Russell, Amador. Do you think the first Star Wars movie post Skywalker trilogy should be a Rogue One-esque or one exploring the Jedi with mythos. I know where Mike's going to go with this. But I think for me, for me, I would say Jedi, I mean, as I was just mentioning that Benny Off and Weiss thing, that was, I was very excited for that. I wanted to see the formation of the first Jedi and Sith.
Starting point is 00:49:29 That's a great, bountiful, plentiful thing. Yeah, what do you think, Steph? Oh, I always want more lore. That's why I like the Mandalorian. Anytime that they're talking about Mandalor, I eat it up. So that's why I'm excited for casting Mandora. I know that's more Rogue 1y. But still, that's lore, and I like that.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Mike, yeah. What do you think? You know what I think. I want something that has nothing to do with Skywalker's. Well, that one now. The force. Oh, well, thanks. A lightsaber.
Starting point is 00:49:57 Okay. All right. Now wait. So you lost me on, the first part of the, without the Skywalker's just fine. Yeah. But the rest of it. So you wouldn't want the sentence. Jedi thing? No. I mean, I wouldn't say no to it, but it's not what I would want to see.
Starting point is 00:50:07 What do you want? Just two people sitting around playing with their blasts in the desert? It almost sounds like what skeleton crew is going to be. That's what you're looking forward to. I'm not saying it's my most anticipated, but. Yeah. I'll tell you why I'm excited. John Watts. Yeah. And did you got, have you watched the old man yet? I was going to say it. So we met him at Celebration in the hotel. Great guy talks with it. And I had not watched the old man yet. It came out, I think, that weekend of celebration. No, it was out a couple of weeks. It was out a couple of weeks. Was it? Yeah. I don't think I. I either didn't realize he directed it at the time.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Me either. Because I would have talked, I didn't care about Star Wars. He did the first two. Yeah, I would have talked all about that show. Jeff Bridges, talking about this, the old man, the whole show. It's good. Dude, I got a Jeff Bridges. It's great.
Starting point is 00:50:45 But that show, because of that show, not because of his Spider-Man and stuff. Yeah. Because of the old man, I'm like, I can't wait for Skeleton. Same. Can't wait. Same. That initial episode was really good. Before we move on to one more question here,

So let's do one more question here and then we'll move. Make a good one. Yeah, that's it. Perfect. Joy mode again. Nice. That's next time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:45 All right, ladies and gentlemen, let's get to it. It is. The next question on here and that's living with Damron. What announcement could Lucasville made that would get you guys the most excited for Star Wars again? I'll tell you, I mean, I've been kind of I'm just going to rehash the same thing I've been talking about. And that's if Philoni and Favreau made an announcement that all of their stuff is leading to a big television event, air to the empire, with Thrawn.
Starting point is 00:53:19 And it's like a crisis on infinite earth type thing that they're all leading to. And there's all this stuff in this time period, skeleton crew, Mandalorian, Boba Fed, all of it. Asoka all leads to this big crossover event. that would get me excited. What about you, Seth? Not to be a nerd, but I am pretty excited right now because Cassie and Endor is coming out, and Mandeloreen's one of my favorite shows ever, and we're getting that. So I think, and I'm getting an Asoka show, like all of the stuff they announced last year, really, we were all fired up about. So if they can just deliver, then I'm good.
Starting point is 00:53:55 Yeah, or my new show, I would love either them to announce a show, on Tim of the Old Fant, The Marshal. Oh, that's cool. Like, call it the Marshall and maybe take what they were going to do with the Knights of the Old Rangers or the Republic and make it his show. Or Dash Randar, if they brought him in and made a TV show on him. Okay. All right. Last one, and then we'll call it a day.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Let's do it. All right, here it is. Dominic Martell. Hi, Christian. I finally bought the Darth Bain trilogy with me to, excuse me, Dom and Marty. I finally bought the Darth Bain trilogy with me to read on vacation. I love it so far. Already halfway on book three.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Man, yeah, I'm telling you, sir. Quick read. I really hope they make this. My question, however, is about the Dark Jedi concept. I'm not sure how I feel about it. What do you think? Thanks for all the content piece. Well, it depends.
Starting point is 00:54:45 The Dark Jedi kind of changes up, whether it's in, you know, nights or these other. I don't think they've really, they've really established it in canon in the side of the Dark Jedi and how they work. And so it's hard for me to say because this is one of the reasons that, honestly, to bring it back to the topic of this show, the acolyte. So, Steph, let's close with this. The acolyte, the reason why I think it's so important is because of the Sith lore, right? Because of the idea of what it sets in motion with the idea of the Sith have been in hiding. And it's not until the Phantom Menace when they go, at last we can reveal ourselves, you know, but it's that game plan that starts to formulate. And like, it's been going on for a while with the main strategy. So dark Jedi and all that,
Starting point is 00:55:32 the way that adds into it, but what do you think about, again, if we lose the Ackleite, which you don't think is going to happen. But if we do, does that hurt the lore going forward? I think that the Acklake has the ability to provide kind of what, like, the Mandalorian and certain shows have done to the prequels and sequels, like enhance them and made you look at them differently. And I think that it would really enhance the prequels if people had more understanding of the lore.
Starting point is 00:56:02 So if they don't do that, I think they have to do a dark side type like lore because that's what they're missing to make it more a Game of Thronesy if they want that. Mike? I'm not, I don't know if I'm the best person to answer this. Like I don't know. Well, do you think, do you think that? I feel that to Steph would just, you just said, you kind of made a really great point on them. I haven't thought about it. There's never really been, they haven't really focused on the dark side.
Starting point is 00:56:29 Like all this, all these shows is always the heroes. I think they need something that delves into that from their perspective and that. I think 100%. All right. Look, we'll see what happens. This is one of the last episodes that we'll do until we start doing our end-or-spoiler episodes. So if you're brand new to the show, essentially what we do is when those episodes come out, we review them and we talk about them, and we'll be doing that because it comes out in just a couple of weeks.
Starting point is 00:56:58 So once that happens every Wednesday, this will be a full spoiler, heavy reviews. Make sure you watch those for sure. For Steph and for Mike, this has been Sith Council.
