Starting point is 00:00:39 by me, not just you. Roxy Stryor is here, don't you fear? Makuga, however, didn't make it. That didn't rhyme, but it doesn't matter. Why didn't he make it? Because he's dead. And I'm bummed, you're bummed, everybody's bummed, let's get over it. It's time to do the show.
Starting point is 00:01:00 so we're going to discuss that and a few other things here today so make sure that you put your comments in there click the likes do all that and more uh to myself and roxy strier here on the show so are you ready cool let's do it can roxy take out rocca she finally gets one-on-one if she do it we shall see here we go welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the show it is Tuesday and it's myself and Theodin's biggest fan, Roxy Stryer. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:01:49 I hear, I hear things. How do you not like Thadon? He's the best. No, he's the best. How do you say he's not a good leader? The guy was like, the guy was under a trance for like forever. Oh, you didn't see. Oh, so that's not fair. You understood.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Right, because you understand because he just came out of the, because he just came out of the trance. Sure. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Every time I do these fucking reactions. All right, go ahead and say here, let's do this again. Hold on. Let's do what again. These are the days, Roxy, that I-
Starting point is 00:02:34 What's happening? This is the day that I really want to quit doing this and become like an accountant, even though I'm terrible with numbers. I hate it so much. Hold on. I don't know what happened. I know. So here's what we watch. Watch this, watch this. This is going to be amazing.
Starting point is 00:02:51 And this is for Luke. for later poor luke welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the show that's right it is today and it is tuesday and i am here you are here and joining me today is therden's biggest fan roxy strier hello roxy what's going on how are you did they not hear all of it nobody could hear you oh you you messed up this whole thing the problem is that what what i do is i have when i do the reaction I have to Different outputs Yeah there's a setting on the roadcaster that I have to push
Starting point is 00:03:39 Otherwise the movie will come through through the roadcasting You'll hear it and copyrights and all that so I have to always mute it You're trying to silence me Yeah You don't want me stand up for myself against the worst fandom that's ever existed Yep Okay let's talk about it about Thayden Yeah let's say it in by the end of the second movie
Starting point is 00:03:58 Was not my favorite I that's what they were talking about They only have seen me watch two towers at this point and the first movie. He was not a good leader in that movie. I understand he was in trans. Everybody was talking. I've never hated a fandom more than I hate this fan. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Like ever, ever. And I was attacked by the Snyder. He even raked all over the coals by those. Rick. I love Lord of the Rings. I am now full blown, understand what all the hype was about. I'm obsessed with this trilogy. I love it. I took notes. I feel like this was my jam. I'm obsessed with it. So it's so weird, the kind of backlash that I've gotten from the biggest like horrible pricks on the internet who are coming at me like I didn't like what they love. They're like, how dare you judge people before you know more about them? What's wrong with you? Burn in a pit and die.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Whoa, I heard that? You need to look at all of the comments. I didn't look at anyone really, to be honest. Oh my God. I didn't think Theoden was a good, and I have a hard time, kind of like whole, hole, which I have a hard time with. Say his name. Theoden.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Say it again? Theodin. Say it in. I have a hard time with that, I guess. I say Theoden. Thiodin. Theodin. Whatever I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Theodon. Whatever I'm saying is pissing people off so much that they have called me. A moron that I should never speak or breathe again. Like it is it has been actually the worst experience ever ever. And I love these movies. So it's so frustrating because it's like the people who are diehard fans and are the good ones are just quiet because they know I don't want to go in the comment section and get shredded. They just are kind. And then they all slid in my DMs.
Starting point is 00:05:55 I got hundreds of messages, Christian. About nice people or bad people? Yes. hundreds of after they saw I was getting annihil, well that's how I heard about I heard about on the show yesterday here but everybody said it what everybody said did you talk to Roxy poor Roxy's been
Starting point is 00:06:09 getting raked over the coals for her her Lord of the Rings videos because I didn't like a character in what it's pretty stupid it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life and it's not even that I didn't think it was a good character I just didn't think he was a good leader in the second movie you have to assume that most of those people
Starting point is 00:06:26 are not well adjusted in the world No, they're so unwell. None of them have their picture in their avatar. You know how bad they smell. They have to smell terrible. So bad. So bad. It's just like it's sad that these creators create things about friendship and love and community.
Starting point is 00:06:44 And then the fans become entitled bullies. Like you missed the whole point of the movie. You miss the whole point. You can't call yourself a bigger fan than me if you're in the comments shredding me. because I think that somebody wasn't a good leader in the second movie. Like you missed the whole point in the movie. Yeah, no, it's, it's insane. That's why I'm telling you, did you ever watch One Piece?
Starting point is 00:07:10 I don't think so, did I? You would remember it. No, it's, that's a fan base. I would highly recommend. Oh, yeah, you told me that they're amazing. I can't believe it. I was expecting what you got. I was expecting what you got from that.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Well, I was expecting that from the horror community because I didn't know anything about horror. And the horror community has accepted me and embrace it. me open arms and I love them so much so I've been spoiled because the she jack community is all the horror fans and they understood I'd never seen nightmare on Elm Street never seen Chuckie never seen Friday the 13th I've never seen any of these things and they just like embraced me in such a kind way for Lord of the Rings I was like I saw these movies once I was nine years old
Starting point is 00:07:48 I don't remember anything I'm gonna watch them with you guys thinking that it was gonna be the same kind of reception they were like die we hope you die you're a horrible human being die what yeah well like I said you can't take those people serious because those are people it's thousands it's thousands of comments so it's hard yeah i know i know it's true but it is it is true because i went when i looked at the what i did see i didn't see i'm i completely uh think that that all that happened and more but when i went there i didn't spend that much time on the page but i what i saw was just like oh i don't like all the the theaidan bashing i don't like this i don't like the the aden was a good leader i didn't see any hateful
Starting point is 00:08:27 things. It's not to say obviously that there wasn't because there was like thousands of comments, which is also another reason that it's still great because there's a reason why that video not only has it's doing very well, not only because it's Lord of the Rings, but also because those people are pretty dumb because they also get the engagement. I know. I talked to Greg last night about this Christian. He was like, this video has the highest watch time of any of the videos of this month. It has the most comments or like ratio is high. than any other ratio as well because like he was like the people coming and defend you and he watched it and he was like you annihilate this you did a great job here i mean i really christian i really like
Starting point is 00:09:10 paid attention to this fandom i didn't casually watch this i was taking notes of locations but you know another thing that's difficult i don't know if you feel this way sometimes when you're watching things with headphones on audio can be a little bit distorted there was this one time where gollum says they're going or something to Mordor. And I heard like they call them Mordor. And I was like, oh, that's interesting. They call the people from Mordor Mordor or something. I heard it wrong.
Starting point is 00:09:44 I am getting annihilated. It's like check your ears, you dumbass bitch. I watched it one time. And that is what I heard. They're like, are you even paying attention? Yes, I heard the wrong thing. You've never heard the wrong thing when you watched a movie before. Well, you don't have that luxury for right.
Starting point is 00:10:02 You don't have that luxury because to them you're on camera. You should know it all. And it's like the whole point is that you're watching it for the first time and that you're picking up things in a way that like when you're in the theater or you're watching a show with somebody. Like many times, someone who would they say? Wait, what? Huh? And you're not allowed to do that when you're on camera, which is so silly. And there's the same reason like I told you when I do, because I don't listen like what I will say is there are times when I'm doing like whether it's,
Starting point is 00:10:27 this show or I'm doing videos and if people come in and they give like critiques I listen you know because there's a lot of times I like to hear what the audience is saying with my reactions one of things I don't listen to and I actually give the middle finger to the camera every time I read one of the comments is like we don't come here for the jokes we come here for the reactions wrong channel different channel wrong channel all the time yeah I'm like I'm like you're you have kind you like my whole point of the reaction is I want to do like a mystery science theater thing so if you've come just to see me go like this you're not getting that you're not getting that here so go suck a fart out of a cow's asshole i hate when they do that i hate when they say
Starting point is 00:11:05 that what except a cow's asshole no you're making too many jokes this isn't a comedy channel what what like what if you don't like me don't watch me you weirdo the people i don't like i don't want right right so but either way i'm sorry that that happened i apologize for perhaps It's fine because you know me. I always read all the comments, but I will say it is make it's a bummer that this is making me feel differently about Lord of the Rings. Oh, that's too bad. I watched all three of these before any of them drops.
Starting point is 00:11:37 I watched all three of them. I have not shut up about this trilogy to everybody. I'm like, all I want to do is talk about it. I loved it so much. I loved the characters. I loved the story. It's just like the most beautiful trilogy of all time. Then they started dropping and I was like, wait a second.
Starting point is 00:11:53 What? That's a bummer. That takes away. Huge bummer. Yeah, that takes away the fun that you're having and living in that world. And then you got a bunch of orcs, if you will. All the orcs. Yeah. So that's, that sucks.
Starting point is 00:12:06 But either way, look, the, the good news is that you got to experience those movies. It's a lot of fun. Oh, my God, they're so good. It's funny because Sam is, I found out during, I think it was incredible Hulk, I kind of that she never has seen Lord of the Rings. She hasn't seen them. Wow. She hasn't seen them.
Starting point is 00:12:22 And she doesn't want to see them. Why? She thinks she thinks that it's just she doesn't want to watch Star Wars and she doesn't want to watch Lord of the Rings. She doesn't think that it's for her at all. I think she's wrong. She's wrong. But she. Lord of the Rings is for everyone. But it's so beautiful. It's beautiful. But the thing is what Sam is, Sam's going to be tied up in the MCE. We just, we just finished Iron Man too today. So she's got a long way to go. You got a long journey. Yeah, a long way to go. But she's loving the MCU. Like she's with your turnaround time looking like Christian. Like how far are you guys watching? them to when people are seeing you watch them. I mean, we watched this one today and it should be out on Friday. Wow, that's sick. So that's awesome. Yeah, so that should be out on Friday and then the goal is that we're probably going to do, I mean, like she's coming in, we're going to try to knock out two movies tomorrow or another.
Starting point is 00:13:11 My goal is to get one out every Friday, but if we get enough in the in the can, then I'd probably like to do, you know, two of them per month, per week. You know, and we have this ongoing joke now where like if there's like a if she sees like a hot dude she sees she started this with Deadpool and Wolverine like they took their shirts off she goes pause it, pause it, right? And so we don't pause it, but it's funny. And then so we've been doing it now. Like I forgot how good Scarlet Johansson looks in Iron Man too. And I go, pause it, pause it. She's the most beautiful person on the planet. I mean, she's just.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Well, I don't know about that, but she's definitely up there. That's how I feel about Air Gorn. I actually like can't. Oh my God. See, this is why I love you. I would not make, I would not, I think it's adorable. I think it's adorable. How do you say it?
Starting point is 00:13:59 Aragorn. Arrigorn. But I thought it was adorable. Okay, but I. People are yellow you. Right. People yell at it's like that's adorable. It's like, and it's not condescending.
Starting point is 00:14:09 It's adorable. It's like, I know. I really, I appreciate that. I don't say, I lit, they're like, did you even hear? Yes. Do you guys know I'm from Boston? Yes. I say names.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Do you know who says? I call them agon. Right. Do you know who says shit wrong all the time and nobody would dare to give him crap? Sarah. Sarah says stuff wrong all the time. Yeah, so maybe I should bulk up so nobody gives me crap. Right. It's super charming. It's hilarious. He still, we can tell him a million times how to say acolyte. He won't say it, right? Same thing with Quigon. And he doesn't, no one is going to make him less big of a fan? No, 10 times more. The guy's the, and because no one's going to say that to him.
Starting point is 00:14:52 him and if they did there would be an error yeah well I can't say his name but he's the dreamiest person I've ever seen in my entire life holy crap aragorn ergoorn nope er a r a r a goren er a goren ar a gorn ar a gorn eragorn what I say ergoorn ergoorn nope no it's just you're just missing the ari-a-gorn there you go ergoin Aragon. Yes. So there you go. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Do you want to hear a funny story? Yes, I do. And I can't imagine. People always, I would tell us on stage. The way of now a barometer of what I would tell on the air is, if I would tell it on stage and if people get offended, I don't care. I don't see why they would get offended on this, but it's fine. So the elf on the shelf has become a thing every year with, you know, the little ones. And there's only so long before my little one's going to keep buying it, but she is for now.
Starting point is 00:15:47 You know, and so if you don't know, elf of the shelf, it's essentially, take the elf, tell them to have good behavior, and the elf has to move throughout every night, moves into a different spot. So we had one, and it was aptly named Sugar Boots, right? And so my wife didn't know where she put it. We couldn't find Sugar Boots. We knew that we had it. We just couldn't find it.
Starting point is 00:16:07 So searching all over for Sugar Boots, couldn't find it. So I said, you know what, let's just get another one. I'll go in, I'll pick one out, do it, walk into this Christmas shop, and I get it. they don't show you the doll you just say they say I'm a female I'm a male so I assume it's just the same thing so we get home and I'm like she won't even know the difference if it's uh sugar boots and I would say it's sugar boots it's fine she won't problem is this one was black so so she knew she knew she didn't give shit but she
Starting point is 00:16:36 knows it was just a new she named it whistle right so it's now whistle which is is now our new elf on the shelf and this is hilarious so she goes she comes up to us and she's well she says to my she says something to say he goes tell dad the reason why you think that that that whistle is
Starting point is 00:17:00 is black and so she says to me I know why and she's like why she goes my landlord is black right so she goes I think he's to live here so they sent they sent whistle and it was so adorable it was so adorable it was so cute it was the best it was the best and i was like
Starting point is 00:17:22 and she loves it she loves whistle and whistle moves around the house and how did how did he get the name whistle she she just she just named her whistle i don't know why no idea but that was the reason i was i thought it was funnyest things ever your landlord sent her yeah that was it um but it was really really adorable that is cute i didn't know that That's what Elf on the shelf was until you just said that. Yeah, that was it. And it's the most stressful thing you'll ever encounter as a parent because you... Why?
Starting point is 00:17:50 You wake up in a cold sweat. This morning we forgot to move whistle. And I had to basically... She's like, oh, whistle's in the same spot. Why? And then so I had to pull a rabbit out of my hat. And then when she wasn't looking, I moved whistle. And then I put on a Daniel Day Lewis type performance and said,
Starting point is 00:18:12 Sadie, did you move whistle? What happened a whistle? Where'd you go? I'm like, I can't have two seconds ago. She was in one, he was in the same spot. She's gone now. And Macy's like, no, she's not. And maybe he goes, there she is. And she found her in a new spot. And I was like, did she just move? She's like, yeah, she just moved.
Starting point is 00:18:27 We weren't looking. I was like, great. So, that was very good job. Yeah. So are they getting closer to Santa or what are they moving for? They move around to keep, keep eyes. The elf is keeping eyes and it's moving. You got to find the elf on the shelf every day. That's, and it's the most stressful thing anyway.
Starting point is 00:18:42 But anyway, look, here's a good news, even though McCougas is not here right now. There is 22 questions already. You just got to beat, I think, 52 today to beat Roca. So you can maybe be Roca, but then, you know, you got to take on Steph and either Brett or Mike on Thursday. It doesn't matter. It's the Thursday. For Thursday, Friday. Well, Friday, Friday, so Coy and Winston wind up winning on Friday.
Starting point is 00:19:07 But I know. I want to be off the group chat. Oh, because you don't like. until until you win well i'm never going to win because of the tuesday i think you're wrong i think you're going to have a victory i think you're going to have a victory um it's okay if i don't because and this is the other hard thing is that don't stuff's my best friends yeah well she's always want stuff to win she's never going to want to beat step she so she's not she's not she's not the same she's not the same she wants she wants she's out for blood she wins all she wins all she wins
Starting point is 00:19:42 She wins. Yeah, she's got that good spot and she's stuff. You want to know who wins? The audience tomorrow because Frank Grillo was a great interview. That's great. I can't wait to listen. He was talking about D.C. Rock to you for about 30 minutes. Out of a half an hour. I got about an hour. Talk about what? So he talked about Creature Commandos, which comes out on Thursday.
Starting point is 00:20:04 He talked about playing Rick Flagg Sr. in that. He talked about playing Rick Flagg, Sr. in Peacemaker. He talked about getting into the costume. He talked about the look. He talked about working with John Sina. He told a great story about the first time he met Sina and how he got to know Sina. Did he talk about Gun and Saffron at all? He talked about Gun and Safran a lot.
Starting point is 00:20:25 He talked about Gun a lot. He talked about Superman a lot. He talked about Cornswet. He talked about his new movie Werewolves, which is such a throwback to this 1980. 80s, it's everything about it. And he's so, I, I, when Frank Willow came in to talk with us last time, we both said, what a great dude that guy is. Yeah. I didn't think you could elevate himself past what I already knew of him. Oh, that's awesome. That's awesome. He's the coolest. He's the fucking coolest. I just felt like I was talking to my friend. And like he, we were talking,
Starting point is 00:21:01 because he's friends of Matt Sarah. So we were like, goof. We were talking about Matt Sarah. Um, he told, we talked about Warrior again. Did you talk about Tulsa King? Yeah, we talked about Tulsa came yes we did we talked about Tulsa can we talked about him working with Stallone how he got this he talked about Stallone he talked about working with Sloan we I mean we talked we talked a lot for like a good hour cool and it's you're gonna love yeah you'll be loving it so Roxy's been helping me out a lot so with the with the clip outs on the clipout channel the Jalil white one did the Jordan Peel one did like 150,000 views so the yeah and it's
Starting point is 00:21:36 actually what's so great about those clipouts because Roka and I was it Roka I can't remember. I think it was, I can't remember who was. I was talking to, I made been Brett, I was talking about, I was bummed because I'll put these interviews out and when the audience doesn't see it, it doesn't, like, they're not clicking on it. I get bummed about it, especially when they were like a really good conversation. But what I have found is because that Jalilil White interview had like 3,000 views. And I'm like, then people go to watch the whole interview? Once I put those clipouts and the clip outs start doing good, it's up like 10,000 now. So it's like, it starts, it's, it's building.
Starting point is 00:22:05 In the same way that Mark Paul Gosler, when that one clip hit, it was like, the one, the interview was at like 4,000. point now it's at like 30. So it's like, okay, it's like a slow burn. I get it. More people are checking it out. And so, but I think the Frank Grillo one's going to hit because there's so much DC news in there that people are going to be stupid not to look at that one. Is they especially the one here on time? I check the, um, clip channel every night. Oh, every night. Thank you. Because I like to see what's popping. Yeah, I'd like to see what's going. And also kind of what works like, you know, certain things that are like little things that you think might not not make a difference, but like what has capitalized at work, what's lower, what has a
Starting point is 00:22:41 period at the end, what start with a name versus ends with the name. Yeah. It's interesting. It's interesting to see what it's because I don't really think even with all that, we're ever really going to know. Would you take a bite up during that time? Nothing. Nothing at all.
Starting point is 00:23:06 All right. So, Roxy, let's get serious. I want to ask you. Oh, sorry about that. Okay. So before we move on, because we got to talk about it. you did what I asked you to do last night. And sometimes I can't get mad at you.
Starting point is 00:23:19 I just can't. I try to, but I can't. Because last night I tried to get frustrated with you because even though I'd know right to, I'm just saying that. It's like, you were coming home from Boston and I understood it. But like, I was like, hey, even though it's last minute, like right now, like it'd be great if you could watch Skeleton Crew 1 and 2. And you're like, I'll try, which is more than reasonable.
Starting point is 00:23:39 I'm like, grr. Yeah. So what does Roxy do? She texted me. She's like, I watched both of them this morning. And I was like, stupid me. But it was actually really helpful because I'm three hours ahead. So like I didn't know that I was going to be able.
Starting point is 00:23:52 I woke up at like 545 naturally. I was like, oh, this is perfect. I can get in. They're only like 40 minutes. So. Okay, good. Yeah, they were. They were, well, the first one was like 40 minutes.
Starting point is 00:24:02 The second one was like 25 minutes. Yeah, I know. And it says that it's like 41, but then it ends so much before the credit. Right. It's because of the credits and it's because of, yeah, and there's so much credits that it's like, it's insane. Yeah. And we'll discuss all of that.
Starting point is 00:24:15 But before we do, I want to tell you guys about a few sponsors. And then, I mean, it's Christmas time. There's so much great stuff for you. Let's talk about it. Let's talk about some of our sponsors right now. Here you go. You're welcome. Yep, I gave you the gift of Vaya.

Starting point is 00:25:53 You know, and I'm doing my out-of-the-the-the-the-reactions. I have a pretty solid set of personal opinions that I have as soon as I see the movie and that I form after I see it. However, I do like to listen to what other people are thinking, even if they have a completely different view of mine. And I think about the same thing when it comes to news. Now, I know that a lot of you people are looking for a new news outlet. I know that you are.

Starting point is 00:28:19 So I'd like to thank both S-A-N. Thank you to the great people over at Viatt, of course. Tushy. Hello, Tushy. So thank you for being here. Rocks, as we mentioned. What happened with Lady Hotap? I don't know. Lady Hotep has a lot to say about the sponsors. And I, uh, there's, there's a There's a saying in Queens, it's called, I don't give a fuck about Lady Hotep's opinion on that one. Hey, can I tell you that I think Lady Hotep, because when we are doing the show and you put the sponsors up, I go to YouTube to watch. Yes. I think she's talking about the 27-minute episodes of Skeleton Crew.
Starting point is 00:28:54 No. I think Lady Hotep's talking about the sponsors. But I was also wrong about one of our sponsors, one of our commenters yesterday who's saying things. No, I think Lady Hotep is purely talking about the runtime. Really? Okay. Yeah. Lady Hotep's getting say, whoa, whoa, whoa. So maybe it was wrong. So maybe you're right.
Starting point is 00:29:15 We'll find out. Lady Hotef was just being a lady and Hotech. Sorry, Lady Hoteb, if that's the case. If you weren't talking about the sponsors, then apologies. If you were talking about the sponsors, then I stick with what I was saying. All you said was what's wrong, Lady Hotech. No, at the end, I said there's an old saying in Queens that says, I don't give a fuck.
Starting point is 00:29:32 But if she's talking about, if she's talking about, if she's talking about Star Wars, and I do care with Lady Hoteb. to say but i think she's upset with the 27 minute oh then i then i then i understand letting hotel i understand um let's talk let's talk about um the reviews first and then we'll do our uh we'll do our review of of the show all right before we get out of here though cool okay can i hear i just want to hear a little bit about your thanksgiving like later maybe maybe later okay let's ask me off air about that nobody cares it's over i they do care i want to know what you bought for cyber monday i want to know how your thanksgiving was like i don't know
Starting point is 00:30:08 seen you in two weeks i have i kind of like the bit of falsely accusing at least one one comment commenter um a show because yesterday i'm still not sure but poor lady hotap yeah well that's why i apologize if i didn't apologize i stood by it but but i kind of like i kind of like uh just going in on somebody for no reason i think i did it to somebody yesterday and then lady Hotech got the brunt today but um we're gonna well has lady Hotap explained herself yet also the last i heard of lady Hotep was whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa and then lady Hotep signed off lady Hotech up she left she's now she's now watching the real rejects uh she's off good channel yeah great channel but uh lady Hotap let's move forward fair enough um okay let's get to that was a great answer all right let's get to
Starting point is 00:31:04 the up who's that it's me up who's that that's me what's going on why is it doing looking at i don't know pull back up no i can't now because i don't know if that's that's what i want to do hold on a second you keep talking for a second tell us about your thanksgiving while i get this right i'm trying to look and see if i could see stuff in your email stuff stuff see i don't say words right all the time i don't know why it's doing that um okay I can't even do that. So here, you know what? Now I got to do this stupid thing.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Hold on. This is for here. Hold on, guys. This sucks that I have to do this. Well, hold on. There it is. There it is. Perfect. Good stuff.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Let me bring up my actual camera. And we're here. Oh, the beauty of it all. All right, let's see. So the first two episodes of Star Wars, Skulls and Crew is now up on Disney Plus. and reviews have started to come in for the show. As expected, the series is a big throwback to 1980s Amblin movies.
Starting point is 00:32:27 So much so, in fact, some of the criticism about the series is how slavish it is to those films. With 28 reviews counted, the series currently sits at 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and is a 72 out of 100% on Metacritic, nothing that special, but solid, good numbers, nonetheless. Critics were granted access to the first three episodes. The series follows four kids searching for their home planet, after getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy
Starting point is 00:32:51 and strange aliens in dangerous places they encounter on their ventures. Plenty of obvious comparisons are being drawn to classics like Goonies to the animated series Star Trek Prodigy, which boasted a similar premise and it got a 94%. Sampling up review quotes, we can do all this stuff, but it seems like people are
Starting point is 00:33:09 enjoying it for the most part. I think those are very accurate. Yeah. What were your... So let's start with you. What was your overall thoughts on the first two episodes. What were your expectations of any? My overall thoughts are that it's cute.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Yeah. I was watching, I was like, this cute. My expectations were none. I think I do a pretty good job with Star Wars because I'm not such a diehard fan that I kind of go into everything the same, which is like, I'm gonna give this a shot. I was surprised to like the Jude law of it all
Starting point is 00:33:47 is obviously based on the age that I am, of course, like what I was looking for. And in the first one, that's not the case. So I was kind of like, oh, hmm, I wonder what kind of how we're going to get, how we get there, what we're doing. But yeah, the first two episodes are super duper cute. And I like these kids. I like the adventure that were going on.
Starting point is 00:34:07 And it looked good. And it felt very like small story. That was cute. Yeah. So my, I basically, I put my review up this morning. and the John Watts is is is awesome John wants is awesome and he not only did he great did he do great with the Spider-Man movies we both agreed he did very well with the old man that's a great show he does good television he knows how to make exciting
Starting point is 00:34:33 television and he knows how to execute the vision that he is looking for right like he was clearly looking for a John Hughes type feel in the Spider-Man movies right the things that he kind of grew up with and you could you could tell in that first movie that's kind of vibe he was going for it was like the john hughes type movie and in the old man it's like a kind of classic old school um spy kind of you get lift cow you get bridges you get you could feel it and so what he was trying to go for there and then with this one he said as much you wanted to do the amblin entertainment thing and i think that they nailed that tone i mean there's no doubt about i think everything you just said when it comes to fun adventure the way that i said i was like you
Starting point is 00:35:15 Like, you know when you go to the amusement parks, whether it's Disney or, or Universal, and they take you on those rides. And when you're waiting online, you see the video portions of your, you're in, you're basically part of the story of the ride. And then you open the door and you go in the door and you're in the door and you're doing the thing. That's what this show was to me, right? The show felt like that. I'm like, oh, these little moments that are happening throughout this. And it could have been, it felt like it could have been any science fiction show, but they threw Star Wars on it because Star Wars is a well-known brand.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Totally. It didn't, yeah, 100%. That's how I felt too, Christian, when I was watching it, I was like, any label could have been on this, but it happens to be a Star Wars show. Yeah, and they throw stuff in there that they watch you. Obviously, the kids fascinated with Jedi, which, thank God, they make the Jedi more of this, like, what we did as a kid. It was like, oh, this kid, like, looks, looks like they're like superheroes to him, right? They have like this idea, and don't make them these flawed, like, losers that they were in in the accolades. But it also makes sense because he's in a more sheltered location. That's true. Sure. Like regardless of how the Jedi actually are, which I agree with you what you're
Starting point is 00:36:25 saying, but that of course would be. But it's the way he sees it. Right. Exactly. And he would see it that way. But it also reminded me of being a kid and playing that lightsaber stuff and doing that. So like those little moments and things like that were cool, that the fact that they did that, I understand why they did that. But it really could have been any space adventure. And while we wouldn't have done as well, because it's not a Star Wars show or people wouldn't have watched it as much, I should say. I don't know how well it's doing. But it just didn't, you know, and there's a great droid in it. But the overall question is, does it deliver as entertaining?
Starting point is 00:36:57 And after two episodes, I think the answer is yes. I think it's an entertaining show. I think the kids are good. It's definitely, this one is way more geared towards a younger generation. Like, I could watch this with my little one for sure. And I think I'm going to- Are you watching with Vivie? She doesn't care about this stuff anymore.
Starting point is 00:37:14 She doesn't care about Star Wars. She wants to, she's arcane. She's obsessed with arcane. She likes Five Nights of Freddy. She's like, she's, she doesn't, Star Wars is now lost on her. She does not care about Star Wars. Have you only seen the first two episodes?
Starting point is 00:37:29 Yes, I missed the third. I didn't get a chance. I just was caught up on too much crap. I didn't get, I was watching Creature Commandos. And so which is really good, by the way. It's got a, you'll like it. It's essentially suicide squad, but just with different, it's instead of Rick Flammats.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Flag Jr. It's Rick Flake Sr. And he's dealing with these different kind of cast of characters. And it's, it's kooky and it's got that James Gunn. It's a good lead up to peacemaker and everything else too. But anyway, but Skeleton Crew overall, I think hit the, it hit the mark with what it was trying to do. Like it's not, I will tell you that it's not like something like, I still don't, I don't think it's the right show for Star Wars to get everybody back on board. It's good that they have a win and not another lost as far as quality goes. I don't know what the ratings are going to be.
Starting point is 00:38:17 But like they definitely needed something where people are going to. Every single person that I've seen so far has been, it's either a cute show. It was entertaining. It was fun. It was aimed towards kids, not for me. But nothing like what we saw for a few of the past shows. Like this is a stink bomb. My God.
Starting point is 00:38:34 It's not a stink bomb. It's just like it's a cute show that I think that I will watch the next few episodes with my seven-year-old. the what are the you know me casual fan what are the elephant people called oh i don't even remember anymore okay it's like yeah i had so many people texting me last night about what you think what you think and i'm like they were so disappointed when i'm so i haven't watched it i'm like i just i wasn't rushing out to watch it um i also you know i didn't watch the early stuff i wanted to i just had never a chance to but last night when i knew it was on disney plus already i was like i'll settle in and then i'll watch the two episodes but i was like i remember when the show started like mandolian's
Starting point is 00:39:09 like leave me alone I don't want to be bothered just dropped I'm watching it it's like right now it's like and that's less about the skeleton crew and more about what I said before I just think that the people in charge are the wrong people running things right now well regardless of not knowing the name and maybe you guys can tell us the little elephant boy oh yeah adorable yeah they're all they're all the kids I thought the kids were great they're all great but that little elephant boy has my heart totally and because he's um because he's more so of like uh he's very he's innocent is they have peter park peter park and and was it ned like they yeah they have that kind of relationship
Starting point is 00:39:50 he just gives best friend vibes and like his friends always kind of getting him in trouble he's just along for the adventure like he's the one who doesn't dream of being a jettie he just like is is the homie his name is his name in the show is neal oh neal yeah and he like new uh is and so it it it It's got like a treasure island feel to it. It has like, I like the pirate element of it all, you know, but I just remember thinking like as I'm watching it going, I understand why it's a Star Wars show, obviously. That's how you get it made.
Starting point is 00:40:23 But I'm just going, there's so many times that people are going, I wish I had an original show, original thing, original, they could have made this an original movie. They could have made this original show. It didn't have to be a Star Wars show. It did to get it greenlit. It did in order for people to say, oh, there's a new Star Wars coming out and I'm going to watch it. And who knows it would have done well if it was like a Netflix show.
Starting point is 00:40:45 But this could have been something. It didn't have to be Star Wars. And it's almost like it. We'll see what they're going to do with the Jedi. Yeah. I mean, they're going to incorporate it. They're going to incorporate it. They're going to incorporate it.
Starting point is 00:40:54 We're going to make it work. Clearly, they have with even the stuff, again, with the Jedi and the temple and the other things and the things that they're going to incorporate into it. They're going to incorporate Star Wars into it. Obviously, they have to. I'm just saying from the feel of it, it didn't need to be. It just didn't need to be a Star Wars. like even though i didn't like that like i clearly had needed to be a star war show because was based in the in that in that time period it's connected to a lot of the lore and the sith and all
Starting point is 00:41:18 that stuff albeit not well but it's still like but it's still had to be a star war show what is this planet christian because like you know okay yeah i don't know this is kind of like a new that's cool it looks like pleasantville almost in some of the way like it was interesting i like i really do love the fact that it's like that that's another element that i thought was cool it's like like yeah they all we're yeah we're from this planet like what the hell you talk about it's not real a planet it's a myth so this is the difference of like and i think that when you look at someone like a john wats and you look at um Tony Gilroy what he's doing with and or you can tell writing this is good writing like regardless of who if even if it's skewed younger this is good writing it's like there's good
Starting point is 00:42:04 character building there's good world building and then you look at something like Asoka and other things you're like oh my god like this is you can just tell this is this is someone who just writes for never watched it's the one i didn't watch how weird is that phloney's just not a good overall writer when it comes to a full on live television screenwriting but like especially i don't know i didn't watch when you compare it and you like the writing in obiwan was terrible the writing in acolyte was terrible the writing in both these shows were really good i didn't feel that way but i know that you are not alone a lot of people did oh you mean acolyte Yeah, I thought it was well written.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Okay. Agreed to disagree on that one. Fair enough. But obviously you are in the vast majority, so. Yeah, that's okay. I mean, hey, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And that's, so I think I will be in the minority to say that. But I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Starting point is 00:42:58 I think more people should be in the majority to say that in general to people is that I'm, I don't agree with you, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Totally. Yeah. So I'm curious to see where this goes. And I will tell you, though, this. And I don't know if this is a matter of just me getting grouchy in my old age at the point that I'm like looking at, as I said,
Starting point is 00:43:17 I don't think until that day when they're like, hey, we sold Lucasfilm to Apple's new regime took over. Until that day comes, I don't really get excited about this stuff anymore because I just feel like even if this one turns out to be, you know, because even 25 minutes, normally a 25 minute show, I'd be like, come on, I want to do a 25 minute show, like Lady Hotech. But for me, I'm going, whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm sorry, sorry, Lady Hote.
Starting point is 00:43:42 But I'm saying, like, let's go, let's, like, that's fine. Wrap it up. Show me what you got. Because I will tell you this, even with 25 minutes, you look at 25. And this is, I guess, the example with the writing, not the message, maybe so with that , but like something where these Obi-1 episodes were so short and the writing was so bad. It was like, that's all you doing for 25 minutes, 30 minutes. It's it.
Starting point is 00:44:02 They got a lot done in 25 minutes in that second episode. They got a lot done. And there wasn't a ton of overdoing it with action. There were some good action scenes and other things too, but it was like developing the, in order to do a Goonies type Ambulin show, you got to believe the relationship of the kids, right? You got to understand. And I understand each one of these kids. I know each one of them.
Starting point is 00:44:24 You mentioned the little elephant kid. He's like the little sidekick kid that wants to be the do good kid and do everything right, but he still wants to stand right by his best friend. and obviously got the lead kid who's got kind of that loop complex and wants to do bigger things and has a big imagination and wants to do more than what he's doing and has that overbearing father and will say I didn't think the father was the best actor that was the best actor but the kids it is very hard when you come in and you're the dad who's pissed and like cold it was less about that it was more when if my kid got into a ship and it was like wait a and I watching it I'd be like
Starting point is 00:45:02 get off, I've been screaming. He's like, oh. Maybe that's directing. I think this is my thought process, Christian. He can't tell him to jump. It's too high. Yeah, but he didn't look nervous. He just looked like, like, I don't know what he looked, but that might be directing more than anything else. I don't know. I thought that he did fine, but I did think that when he came into school after the test hadn't been taken and his kid is like clearly torn and torn and tattered. And he's like, what happened to your clothes? This is unacceptable. Like that, that was the one pit of piece of dialogue that I was like, I don't know that you would acknowledge the clothes and then not ask about what actually happened. Yeah, there's a couple. There was a couple times
Starting point is 00:45:41 in the in the dialogue writing that it just that's, I think that maybe so why I felt less of Star Wars and could have been anything else. Like they're instead like they call it a garage. They call them rats. They call them these things. I'm like, oh, the one time when he says cold hard and It doesn't say cash, it says credits, credits, right? But cold hard. Right, that's an example of how you do it to fit Star Wars, right? Cold, you think it's gonna be whole or cash and it's credit. So okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:46:12 But then rats, garage, and then I, this is something, this is just me with an overall Star Wars note that I cannot stand. I cannot stand when aliens have like East Coast accents and they're not speaking like, you know, alien. And one guy's like, hey, what can I get you? You want some soup? You want some salad? What do you got?
Starting point is 00:46:29 I love that. Like, did you not like Bill Burr? Bill, was that Bill Burr? No, no, no. Remember when Bill Burr? No, I didn't mind. I didn't mind. I didn't mind. I saw the criticism on that.
Starting point is 00:46:38 But Bill Burr wasn't an alien. Bill Burr was not an alien. I don't like when, all aliens. Yeah, but you know, non-humans. Yeah, okay. I don't like when non-humans are speaking in New York accents. I just, it just, it drives me crazy. I would, I think that you can make it, you could have made it feel a little start.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Even the kid understood it. Maybe you had the translator or something too, and he's like, oh, my dolls. Oh, doong, don't know. on doll or whatever it is and like oh okay thank you and so that would be to me yeah like a universal translator or something along those lines that would be great you just have one of those things with you the new york accents and any accent in general sometimes sometimes you like i guess it's hypocritical because i don't mind like when when admiral akbar whatever he's saying you know is like
Starting point is 00:47:25 i'm like okay i buy it it sounds more like his voice it sounds like it would come at that gravely thing would come out of there. So, um, none of it bothers me, but I hear you. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, um, so we, uh, we got a lot of that done. I think we got a lot of stuff that there, that we finished with, uh, Christian, very good, I think so, a skeleton crew. Yeah. We're currently at 37 before we even started the questions, rocks. And I think, you got a good, I think you got a good shot to beat uh to beat roca at least um so let's get into tv then because we'll do we'll close out with tv today and then we'll do the questions wait i have just quick quick on your thing quick on did you see moana too i did okay should i see it no i haven't seen i feel like you'll enjoy it it's
Starting point is 00:48:15 like this is this is this is the what i've said about the movie i'll repeat myself um you are clearly missing Lynn Manuel Miranda clearly missing because the songs of Moana 1 are as much of a character as Maui and Moana are because the box office would never make me think that no the music is forgettable in this movie super forgettable let's like you're just like
Starting point is 00:48:38 there were actually two times when they were singing and I was like and I never felt this in the first one I'm like wrap it up wrap the song up and let's get to the back to the story the story is paint by numbers but it's but I enjoyed watching. And it was very similar to, like, kind of gladiator, too, for me. I like being back in that world. I like being, I like Moana.
Starting point is 00:48:55 I like watching the relationship between the two of them. Anybody who says, well, it's kind of a generic sequel. I'm not going to argue with them about it. I will agree with them. But I just, I like being back in that world. And I also, it's one I'm very much looking forward to seeing with my seven-year-old also. Because I think that it's, that I feel like the sequel. And I said this on yesterday show is going to play more to kids than it is.
Starting point is 00:49:16 like the general like you know the first one was everybody can enjoy it i think with this one some adults will dig it like a lot but for the most part i think it's going to be really little kids that respond to this one the most cool okay yeah yeah so i need to know yeah so thank you yeah i literally just said that this movie could be for for everyone but not everyone could enjoy it i think that the majority of people that are going to really enjoy this one are going to be the seven-year-olds and the eight-year-olds who are going to enjoy it there will very well be people who are adults that enjoy it also but in the first movie the first movie you got a lot of people who loved it this movie I think more so the kids are going to really respond to this one that's why
Starting point is 00:50:02 it did so well so we shall see um okay so let's get to some tv it's tv time here's the first one roxy what's that man okay so you probably probably know a lot about the John Bonnet Ramsey case a lot more than I do just because this seems to be one of the biggest killer cases of all time. And I just, I know of her, but I had never looked into this case. Christian. Oh, wow. Yeah, no, I know a lot about this case. Okay. So I had just never looked into it because I was a kid. So John Bonet Ramsey, a new Netflix three part series dropped about who killed John Bonet Ramsey, one of the, most legendary unsolved murder mysteries. But this is a doc that her dad is in as one of the people being interviewed. And that it was really interesting to watch all of the points of the case. You know, Netflix has done an unbelievable job with their true crime division of actually solving crimes. And I think that they put out this doc in hopes to fund and help solve this crime for once and for all.
Starting point is 00:51:13 There is always updated DNA testing and there's currently DNA samples that they have that they are trying to get this case reopened to try and see if they can find who did this. Okay. What do you think? Do you think the parents do it? I really don't. You don't. Okay. I really don't.
Starting point is 00:51:33 After watching the doc, I really don't because of the number one clearest thing, which is that there was DNA samples in her underwear. and on her that do not match the mother or the father. Okay. So how do you explain that? You know, and there are always, you could explain that, but I don't think it was. And if it wasn't her parents, oh, boy, did they get royally screwed? Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Okay. You know, right now the running theory is that it was her nine-year-old brother, who I don't think did it either. That seems like something out of a movie. right right right yeah um all right well that's on netflix yeah they did a very good job at the doc uh sex lives of college girls is back and this is the show that i don't want to say put rnay rap on the map because she was already a uh well-known singer but this is i think uh how she became more of a household name and in this season she is not supposed to be in the show
Starting point is 00:52:35 however the first episode that dropped um i believe the first two she's in so i am excited that we got to see her at all. This is an HBO Max show. It's really fun. It says exactly what it's about in the title. And if you are looking for kind of like a more fun lighter thing to fill your time before we get another euphoria season, this at least is more of like a coming of age. And instead of high school and drugs, it's more sex in college. Okay. Did you, I know that's on your list today, but have you been watching June? Yeah, I only watched the first two. Okay, so I watched the first two also. I like it.
Starting point is 00:53:16 I dig it. I know you didn't really dig it that much, right? I remember you actually. I'm not not digging it. You weren't blown away by it. Yeah, I'm not blown away. Yeah, I was I think maybe because people were downplaying it so much. I really enjoyed it.
Starting point is 00:53:26 I was like bummed the night when I couldn't get to it. I'm hoping it picks up a little bit for me. It's obviously a really cool world. I'm going to see the third one for sure. Okay, so that's on which one? What is, this is HBO Max you said? Yep. Okay, well, that's not, where's the other ones?
Starting point is 00:53:42 Got another one. Oh, there we go. Okay, this is, you guys know I try to give you as many stand-ups as I can when I'm watching them. This is a Netflix one, which is where I usually watch these, I burner. We ride at Dawn. This was very funny. I feel like she's one of those stand-ups and Christian, you'd be able to describe this better, but who is like the girl when you're at a bar who's just telling you stories of
Starting point is 00:54:08 about her life and they happen to be funny yeah she just kind of has a lot of stories that are kind of wild that's actually my favorite type of comedy i like yeah i like stories better than like you know who's great at that um have you ever seen steve simone or but you remember steve he used to yeah steve simone is like the ultimate storyteller i only know him because of you but yes yeah steve's a great storyteller uh i just like she it seems like i don't know this for sure but It seems like she's around my age and a story she tells feel like stories that I could tell. Whatever it is, she's funny. And if you're looking for somebody who kind of is more of a casual stand-up, then she's your girl.
Starting point is 00:54:50 Okay. So that's on there. And then- Man, Silo's so good. Holy crap. Oh, is it? Because you weren't loving the first episode, I thought. I couldn't see the first episode.
Starting point is 00:54:59 I could not see the first episode. Oh, right, right, right. Okay. The other ones have gotten lighter because we're not in the same scenario. lighter i don't mean in tone lighter and actual i can see the screen oh god this is so good i made my dad start watching it when i was home um i think that silo is just like until severance comes back silo's the best show on tv apple crushes it with this it is so so good i'm loving learning about what happens in the second season uh i have a i have a i have a potential
Starting point is 00:55:30 I gotta see if you're available because I have a potential severance interview that I might need you to do alone alone yes where will you be I won't be able to do it um so I need to see if you can if you can't I don't know we're going to do but um that's something else all right let's see and then this one okay this was recommended to me by Brad Gilmore man on the inside it's Netflix comedy I love Ted Danson it's uh Mike sure So I was like, oh, sure, I'll give this a shot. It's so cute. Oh, my God. This is the easiest.
Starting point is 00:56:05 I watched it all in one day. It's the easiest to get through. Basically, what happens is he later in life, he has lost his wife and he's looking for like a hobby. He, in the classifieds, finds they need somebody to infiltrate this retirement home to try to find somebody who's stolen jewelry. and that's what we find out very quickly. And it's an adorable, like, half hour comedy. I think there's only eight episodes. And it's so heartwarming, feel good, awesome.
Starting point is 00:56:41 I just thought it was really, really cute. And he's so great. Well, there you go. There's your TV picks for, that's everything, right? Yeah. That's everything. That's for Rock. And Skeleton crew, but we talked about that.
Starting point is 00:56:51 We discussed Skeleton crew. So those are good things to pick. And I'm very curious what people think when they, chime in. So, okay, we're going to get to the questions because I really think you're going to crush Roker today. But before we do, you're going to tell you about Tushy and Rocket, and then we'll come on back. How many using Tushy for... I told you about Tushy already. Just kidding. I'm talking about AG1 and Rocket. I'll tell you about AG1. I've told you about AG1, and it's the best
Starting point is 00:57:18 time to tell you about AG1 because it's the holiday season. And it is so hard telling you from from experience to stay motivated and to eat healthy during the holidays, it's always a challenge. For me, what I make sure that I do, I have AG1 when I start off during the day. I know that if I'm going to have all my vitamins in one shot, I got AG1. Before AG1 was a part of my daily routine, I was all over the place. I was scattered. And I was like, oh, maybe I should do vitamins, but it takes 75 and different things and mix and match. It was a mess.
Starting point is 00:57:49 So I couldn't do it. So for me, as you guys have seen, you guys have been so kind and complimenting. You're like, oh, I can tell you, you've lost weight. You look healthy. Age you want. The travel packs are great too. Because if I don't have the morning routine for some reason gets thrown off, I'm like, oh man, I got the travel pack.
Starting point is 00:58:05 I'm on the train. I put it in a water bottle. Done. What's so good about AG1 is it just sleep quality, more energy. It just, it's wonderful. Try this new year. Try AG1 for yourself. It is the perfect time to start a new healthy habit.
Starting point is 00:58:19 And that's why I've been partnering with them for so long. They've been with us since I started this show. And AG1 is offering new subscribers free, 7,000. $76 gift when you sign up. You get a welcome kit, you get a bottle of D3K2, and you get five free travel packs in your first box. So make sure to check out drinkag1.com slash big thing to get this offer. That is drinkag1.com slash big thing to start your new year on a healthier note.
Starting point is 00:58:47 You will thank me, I promise. I've told you about rocket money, guys. And the reason why for rocket money was so important is that I, for a long time, I used to do these things where I'd be on my, phone and I'd start searching for these apps. I'm like, oh, okay, yeah, I'll sign up. Oh, for free. Yeah, it's free for now. But then it's going to be $20, $30 a month and you forgot that you've been paying it. And I said, oh, well, this rocket money lets you know about what subscriptions that you have that you're not paying attention to. It can cancel subscriptions for you. It really is amazing. And it just,
Starting point is 00:59:18 it just cuts so much time out of my schedule. And I love it because you don't even know how much you're paying in subscriptions. And you're probably paying way more than you think. Because over 74% of people have subscriptions they've forgotten about. And I definitely did that. I can tell you that right now. Like there was a couple of, I'm telling you some of these apps. I tried some of these apps. I'm like, oh, shoot, I forgot all about it.
Starting point is 00:59:37 You think you spent around 62 per month on subscription, something like that. But it's close to about 300. You close about 300 a month because Rocket Money is also, it's a personal finance app, and it finds it cancels your unwanted subscriptions. It monitors all of your spending. And it helps lower your bills so you can grow your savings. Everyone that's using 500 million in cancel subscriptions. It saves about $740 a year.
Starting point is 01:00:00 It's great. So stop wasting money on things that you don't use. You just cancel your unwanted subscriptions. You go to rocketmoney.com slash thing. Rocketmoney.com slash thing. Very easy. Rocket money. Dot com.
Starting point is 01:00:13 All right. Thank you to Rocket Money. And of course, AG1. Roxie, great news. What is it? AG1 is coming back for next year. They're going to be back for all of clients and five.
Starting point is 01:00:24 And you know why that is? Because the people are smart. People are smart and they're getting themselves from age you one and they and they should and rocket money hopefully coming back too. You should be getting some rocket money. You should be getting all of our stuff. So I'm giving you the deals. I'm giving you all the deals. All the feels, all the deals is what they say in some parts of town.
Starting point is 01:00:42 Oh, what parts? Ralph's in Burbank. All right. Are you ready for some football? Some questions. We're going to start with Aidan Norris. He says Superman and Lois finale had me bawling my eyes out. watch it I didn't watch yet I didn't watch yet I don't watch
Starting point is 01:01:01 you're just saying that it made him ball his eyes out I'm gonna watch I will watch it this week I'm two episodes behind I'm loving this season so EWalk puts in a question that it makes me question whether or not he's seen some of your TV picks before Roxy I love EWalk is one of our loyal viewers is it something like Roxie only picks one type of show no no no EWalk is very kind but EWalk said are you any of you watching silo it's a great sci-o but um yes Roxy loves silo no what's silo EWalk is, EWalk might be one of the, him, there's a few, there's a few
Starting point is 01:01:33 commenters that are here all the time that it just seemed like the nicest people in the world. Thank you, EWalk. Yeah, I love Silo. Obsessed. Let's see. The next, next one here, I want to make sure that I have this, this is fun. Actually, the first one comes in, this is, Beau 26. Oh, says, love seeing McCuggan on here. And that to show some, so support. TV related, who are some of your favorite TV dads? and Uncle Phil are ones I put up at the top. Mike's, what's it, Mr. Seaver.
Starting point is 01:02:03 It's pretty good. I'm sad about Maguga. I like the dad's on all of them, honestly, on modern family, each have their own thing. But Phil Dumfie, I thought was so cute. Okay. The one on parenthood is pretty good, too. Craig T. Nelson.
Starting point is 01:02:22 It's so hard to think, like, the difference between both. No. Oh, wow. What a show. That's right. up your alley that show yeah no i hear it's good love that show there's sadie oh gosh you love that um so yeah so those are some good ones right there uh ada norris misty josh you're a bright light in this world oh man such a bummer we lost so basically people tuned in late um macuga right before the show
Starting point is 01:02:47 started he had dad duties things that popped up it was anybody else they'd be like come on he had a kid he's a kid so i'm trying to find time to tape his show too so he's you went on i've got try he's gonna be he's gonna be on he's he said that the only problem is he might not be able to be on roxy because he says no come on may or he says his best days are are um either wednesdays or fridays so it can't be friday because it capes and cows and he's not talking so he had to be on wednesday sometimes um simon section great to see you josh missed you what are your thoughts in the last bad boys i'll have to ask him let me see you know what i'm gonna text them i'll text them right now and say home text josh mccuga what do you want to
Starting point is 01:03:30 to Joshua. Joshua. Hey, I have a question here from the fans. So they want to know what your thoughts were on the last bad boys and where do you think it will go. Also, congrats on being a badass dad. Tell him to send it in a voice note. Oh, okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:48 I will. Good idea. Send it in a voice note if you can. Any questions that came in before we announced that you were unable to make it, I'll read to you. Okay. He's, so we got that one. I'll have him answer that through voice note. Great idea by Roxy.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Simon's section, correct me if I'm wrong, but was that a brothel the kids were staring at in episode two? Definitely, because the one in Andor looks so much nicer. Also, Etch a sketch in Star Wars. Yeah, there was, it definitely was a brothel, right? Now we're raiding our brothels. Yeah, well, it's different planets, you know, different parts of town. The brothel of Andrews so much nicer. Yeah, it's true.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Armada. What's up, McCougs? missing that De Niro impression. And if you can give a De Niro impression, that would be great. All right. Roman, Roman, some of nice people. Roman Fedorak. Hey, all, awesome, and here for this reunion.
Starting point is 01:04:47 Aw. Just realized it's been 10 years watching all you. Started with the Schmo's Best of 2024. Been a great 10 years. Here's to another 10 more. Thank you. Every time we get one that's towards Makuga, we'll just do the collective.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Oh. Okay. Okay, so here is, now that was all the ones that came in before the show began. So now the show starts and starts with Ian Davis. You can only watch one director's filmography for the rest of your life. Who do you choose? For Roxy, the Lord of the Ring movies, in my opinion, are the greatest trilogy of all time. I love your reactions.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Thank you. I feel like if it's like this, you've got to pick somebody like Spielberg, right? Maybe. It's just so many different things. Scraise. He's got a really got a good list, but you don't have as many feel good movies with Scurcese. I think if you're only watching that, you're walking around pissed. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:40 And then Nolan just doesn't have enough. I think Spielberg is a good, it's a good call. Pete Parker 2228, Wildberries, exclamation point. It's so funny is that for a team that was like, they're so loved. They were having a run towards the, when we got. You know, they were like, they were literally a one match away, or if not, I think they were coming close to a number one contender match. They had won like three in a row.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Wow, berries. Can you imagine if I would have gotten them to a live, to a title match at a live event? That would have been, amazing. There's no way that would have won, but still, it would have been great to have. There's a hell of a showman. Oh, like. The both are. Dewberry was too.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Yeah, of course, of course. But just for somebody who like slightly lax in movie at times, he just. Yeah. But he got lucky. Not just lucky, but like he has some deep cut knowledge in some areas. He beat me. And then, and I kicked his ass on a rematch, but I, but he beat, but he beat me. And then we did, and then what else did we do?
Starting point is 01:06:43 And then, I mean, he got, he got to one, he almost won the tournament. He got to a number one contender match. Yeah, he's done good. He's done good. Carver Tate. Woot, let's do this, peeps. You rock, Roxy. Thank you, Corv.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Woo. Yes, Carver. Very true. 54 rocks i think you beat roka now you got to get you got to get to a place in order to beat step i think he got to get close to like 90 i think that's how that's how you're going to do it because that's going to be hard uh mike joyce christian have you seen amelia perrez lots of ward buzz it's great but i think if you hated the singing planet from the marvels you may not like it well no it's it's the singing planet that's so different did you see amelia
Starting point is 01:07:27 prez i went to the premiere right yeah and Tell me if I'm wrong. I don't know. I mean, what it seems to me with Amelia Perez is that the movie is a musical, right? Yeah, for sure. I mean, it's just so different than it's a music. I think it's an unexpected musical because it's like a crime, uh, drug lord, but it's a full on musical. Marvel's isn't a musical. It's a stupid movie that out of nowhere, they're like, hey, let's go to a planet. Everybody starts singing and dancing. And Christian likes musicals. Yeah. It's not like Christian's anti-musical. No, no. It's not, unless it's an anti-musical. Right. Unless it's a movie, like if it's a movie, like if it's a movie that so let's say that's a full on mystery and then out of nowhere they go to a building and everyone in the building starts dancing and singing and it's just like oh that's what they do
Starting point is 01:08:11 in this building and let's take this movie serious it's like no i can't take this movie serious anymore because everyone was dancing and singing in the building so no it does not i i can't imagine there's anything remotely close to the marvel i hope not i heard much more oscar buzz for this though prior to it being dropped on netflix so i am curious how people are liking it we got a voice now from Makuga. Okay, let's hear. Fantastic, it's Daddy Daughter Day. Thoughts on the bad boys movie.
Starting point is 01:08:46 This is the best one since two. It's better than three. It's not as good as one. It might be on the same level as one. But nothing's as good as two. I don't know if this is a good, De Niro, but I'm making the face. I'm making the face.
Starting point is 01:09:01 What else was ever in there? Where do I think this will go? I don't know. They probably do one more and they close out, but you got it. They got to go into like a retirement thing. There's got to be like some sort of like one last case. Like one more thing even though they say that in a movie.
Starting point is 01:09:15 You got to retire here at some point. You know what I mean? Rosie, where do you think the bad boy franchise is going to go? We got a shoulder shrug. Love you all. Thanks for all the kind words. Bummed I'm not there. I also like to say is that Danish Christian Arloff is also here at the In-N-Out burger.
Starting point is 01:09:33 He's eating his cheeseburger with the many souls of Christmas past and Christmas future. But like, In Denmark, our Santa Claus is actually a man with no shoes dressed as an alien. You wouldn't be to say this anymore? You don't like my German accent? No, no, no. Okay. So you should say bye.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Ciao. Regi, and I got so. No, that's Italian. Cheers, Miss Morgan. All right. I'm being told to quit it. Cramp us out. That was hilarious.
Starting point is 01:10:02 She said no. She said I don't want you doing that voice. You better stop at. How old is Rose? I have about, what, three now? Maybe four? Crazy. Maybe three.
Starting point is 01:10:13 Three or four, you're probably right. That's crazy, though. But that was awesome that he did that. So that was great. Yeah, Danish Christian, that was hilarious. We found that. Mike Joyce. Crest was okay, but it needed more Roxy.
Starting point is 01:10:29 How about the rock stended cut? Is that coming? Release the Roxdened cut. Probably. Yeah, those were all your scenes, right? Did all your scenes make them? Are you the movie? Definitely not.
Starting point is 01:10:41 Oh, how many scenes are you in? You know, but it happens. It happens. Yeah, of course. It's what happens. I did a great job with it. I'm trying to look how old she is. When was she born?
Starting point is 01:10:52 Come on, don't do that now. Deal later. I'm looking though. I got to try to answer the question. I shouldn't have said it out loud. Teresa Sky, she Jek's reacting to Lord of the Rings made my day. I'm sorry that people are stupid. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:11:04 Yeah, they're so mean. Yeah, but 56. They love you, Roxie. 56 right now. Woo-woo. Keep it going. RQM-D-S-M-D. Support for Roxy.
Starting point is 01:11:16 All the people leaving you the rude, nasty, and mean-spirited comments need to go do something useful instead. I love you, Lord of the Rings reactions. You got a lot of fans, rocks. Thank you so much. Really appreciate you. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:11:28 Mad Sinister, Macau. Lertz in Lord of the Rings Fellowship is one of my favorite villains. Lurtz, I just forget. I'll tell you. What's his name? Lurtz? Spell it L-U-R-T-Z?
Starting point is 01:11:42 Oh, let me see. Oh. Oh, he's a, he's the fierce and aggressive orc. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I don't remember his name. Yeah, let me see which which is which is that the one. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he's he's pretty, he's pretty, uh, crazy that one. I agree. Yeah, he's, he's, I like, I didn't like what they did in in the
Starting point is 01:12:06 Hobbit when they made the ones that are not, uh, I'll tell you what's great, I don't know if I can still know if I can talk about it is that new animated film I haven't seen it obviously you'll love it especially now good yeah you'll love it's great uh it looks like in February Rosie will before oh adorable okay um Carver Tate I'm sorry you have to deal with those people Roxy it's becoming an epidemic especially in your line of work there's even more young people who have no sense of what is socially acceptable and are honestly probably really jealous of you you are awesome nice comment that is I appreciate it. The good thing is I feel really good about who I am. So when you feel good about who you are, it can't really penetrate.
Starting point is 01:12:51 But it does suck to see the state of the world. It is so much name calling. It's wild. Like you don't know me. How are you going to say that I am a mean, selfish, jealous person? It's just weird. It's it is. It's it's it's this problems. There's problems. Attack Peter. My good buddy, attack. Peter said skeleton crew was great episode two was an all-timer I'm not gonna go all-timer but I'm gonna all-timer but I'll give it to I'm glad you enjoyed it as as I was all-timer I think it's really good though I'm glad you I'm glad you dug it that I can definitely see where that's this shows right up your alley for
Starting point is 01:13:28 sure I just I'm curious about all-timer because not that much happened in it but it was cute yeah yeah I think maybe because it's been such lacklost or shit yeah yeah you know what I mean Nick Vaughn how much are you dreading re-watching love and thunder in your MCU reactions with Sam. I'm, I'm, there's, there's quite a few. You know, I talked to her today when she was leaving and I was like, you know, we really aren't going to get to any real stinkers until like 2021,
Starting point is 01:13:55 2022. Sam, we're only in 2010 right now. So what do you think the biggest stinker is? Love, love and thunder for sure. That's good. The marvels. You had already watched, um, Dark World. I like Dark World.
Starting point is 01:14:07 I like Dark World. I don't think love and thunder is worth. a dark world one thousand percent well dark world is a movie dark world is an actual movie with a story whether you like it or not that's a freaking saturnet live sketch that whatever the hell that other movie i did not feel that way about dark world well we're on the different we're in a different planet because you you actually like dark world that's interesting i did i liked it when i saw it and i remember we're watching it with sadie not like a couple years ago and it's not it's definitely one of the weaker phase one movies or phase two movies whatever but it's it's not i mean i would watch that
Starting point is 01:14:42 movie in loop backwards in latin that have to watch love and thunder one more time you know i don't like didn't like love and thunder but to me dark world that's right and i don't think you're in the minority there i think there's a lot of people i remember when i said to winston when we were at the premiere of that movie at love and thunder and i said dark world is better than this he was you're crazy and i was yeah but he liked love and thunder i think he's i think it's gotten i think it's gotten i I think it's finally gotten under his skin. But everybody, that's why I don't take premieres reaction serious. Everybody that I was with except me, I felt like I was,
Starting point is 01:15:16 I was watched a different movie. Like Greg and I have had this conversation on the air where when I walked out, he said, what did you think? I go, it was terrible. He was, what are you talking about? The movie was great. And I go, that's not a great movie to it. The movie's terrible.
Starting point is 01:15:28 And he's like, no, it was great. And then he's kind of revisited a bunch and kind of seen it. But like, you get caught up in that freaking. For sure. atmosphere and I saw the venom movies at the premiere and I literally can't I can't differentiate what is real and what's not I was like these are the greatest movies because you have a bunch of people that are in the audience who worked on the movies they worked on the movies and they're supporting everybody else and people are
Starting point is 01:15:52 excited to be there and I so so it's just like I when people come out of a premiere with their thoughts I take it with a grain of salt but I was not at the premiere of any of the Thor movies we can agree that Ragnarok is by far away the best yes Yes, and then the first one right after that. Yeah. Okay. So yes, the answer is I am dreading watching that movie. I have no interest in watching it ever again,
Starting point is 01:16:16 but I'm only going to watch it because of the rewatch. I hate that movie. Don't color it for Sam. I'm not. I haven't colored any of the movies with her. I haven't told her about anything. Like she was, I didn't even tell her that Terrence Howard was replaced. And she was, you get her genuine.
Starting point is 01:16:32 She loves Terrence Howard. She was like, what the hell happened to Terrence Howard? she was so bumped um she was so bummed when when it happens and i said yeah but don chieel kills it in the role and he's in it for a long time you almost forget tarant's herald was even in the first movie um and by the end i just remember the love and thunder's cancer stuff that i couldn't fucking stand it's a terrible it's a terrible movie it's a terrible movie like the russell crow running down the stairs like doing this little dance i don't know about terrible but i did not like it but i thought that dark world was like unwatchably bad okay
Starting point is 01:17:05 When was the last time you saw it? I know that I watched it with Ben. Oh, that couldn't have been that long ago. I'm shocked you feel that way. Well, long, though. I feel, especially you. I feel like, because I feel like that you, that's kind of movie. We watched that movie.
Starting point is 01:17:20 I watched it like five years ago. Yeah, but you might have had Ben chiming in your ears at that point, too. No, he actually didn't hate it. Oh, well, that I'm wrong. All right, Haskell 420. Roxy, wait until you see the Lord of the Rings extended editions. Fact. while they're way long. I love them.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Three and a half hours. They're like, they add so much to it. They add so much to it. I'm excited about them because sometimes in the reactions, I would ask a question and people are like, oh, that was answered in the extended position. You tell you how old. But you know, like, how old that I are going to is.
Starting point is 01:17:48 I 100% understand Greg, because people are like shredding us for the not extended. It's his company. He understands how these things work. What pays off, what doesn't. It's his choice. I know. I understand.
Starting point is 01:18:01 I just love it as far as you. Yeah, that's right here. You get that fee. You know how old. Errigan's like 110 years old. And I wanted more Galadriel and I wanted more Arwin. And I hear that we get that and extended too. I rarely watch the original ones when I rewatch them.
Starting point is 01:18:18 I watched the extended because they're so good. I just see, three and a half hours to four hours for the for the return of the king. They're better and more in depth than the OGs. I agree 100%. Cool. Matt Thomas. What's up, Matt? Roxy, I sent you a DM in support of the Lord of the Rings fandom.
Starting point is 01:18:34 It sucks and they showed it when they cast POC in the role of rings of power on Amazon. They're very toxic. Good luck. I know. I got to tell you though because people of my DMs were like, yeah, you know, of course they're coming at you. They came after the casting of people of color. And I don't feel like they're coming at me for any like, how do you like say woke or whatever stuff? They're like just like shredding me.
Starting point is 01:19:02 You're like gatekeepers of what should. should know yeah yeah yeah like none of my comments oh i did say early on i was like listen this is the greatest movie ever do i think that it could have been cool if there was one woman in the fellowship of the nine like because i wanted to see more glad in the first one i said i wish we saw more gladriel or arwin i wish that they kind of could join the fellowship on their journey you got a right you got a right to jr talking about that one um everybody was like he was a world war one veteran there were no women in the war and i was like yes but there were elves you are right like what are you guys talking about well richard oak o'tura says hey roxy and christian what's that richard
Starting point is 01:19:42 shout out to roxy i hope you both had a great thanksgiving have either of you watched the show lioness did you start it no i haven't watched people are raving about this show i know raving i will i got to check it out um so and let's see roxy carver says i've already donated 12 dollars in your name And here's another five. So that's 17 just for me because you're worth it. And that puts you're at 63 so far. 63. Thank you,
Starting point is 01:20:07 you're now in the lead. Now you don't have any Wednesday competition because we're running, we're just running the Frank Rillo interview. We were supposed to do Clark Wolf and Sam tomorrow, but we're going to push them to next week because I want to run the Frank Rillo episode. And I want to make, they're going to be on for the full two hours. It was either have them on for a half an hour tomorrow or have them on for
Starting point is 01:20:30 full two next week. Clark and who? Sam Levine. They're running. Oh, yeah. So cool. I gave, I donated to that. Great. Mike Joyce, yikes, wicked. I went and expected it to be great of seeing a hard Roxy and others have gone to bat for it. And yet I was still completely blown away by it. Who knew that Ariana was such a good actor? That's what I said. I said that. I said that a million times. She was the best thing of the movie. I knew. I know because I saw her. Okay. Can't wait. for part two people are excited about that so just we just got the screener for that movie so my wife can see it too oh yeah uh go pal says hey roxy have you ever seen life as we know it what's that you know what that is no no is a show oh maybe uh rangers fan 1996 maybe about going to a rangers
Starting point is 01:21:21 game people like that annoy me hate on people because i'm an opinion of a film listen roxy we love your reactions we love you ignore those bell ends that's right you don't lot of support in a China. They must be from England. I love that. Bell End is the greatest thing you can call somebody. This is a Catherine Heigel, Josh Dumas movie that I feel like I might have seen when it came out in 2010. I always, anytime Josh, there's two things I remember about him every time he's mentioned. One, smoking a joint with him. When did you smoke a joint with him? He was a friend of my, but I used to, we used to play softball with him all the time. And I bet we were also were uh it was right after he's in transformers and the first one came out and i just give my
Starting point is 01:22:02 honest opinion he's like did you like i go can i be honest not really i said i liked you in it said you were good in it i was like but i didn't really like the movie say why i told him about my my dislike for bay and we had a good he was a very nice guy we had a conversation and we hung up for you know i watched him every day forever on all my children he came from soap operas i'd come home from school and i'd watch with my mom um in the 90s maybe it was the early 2000s and we would watch all my children one life to live general charl the general hospital in port charles every day and so i was like in love with him before the whole world knew oh well the other the other thing that i always remember him is the way ellis says his name josh duhammel yeah that's amazing it's the best i was just to give
Starting point is 01:22:43 him glad to hear he was nice uh he was very nice he was very nice uh josh d'ahmel du hamel is what i used to say when when uh ellis would say it that he said laugh of those so stupid d'u hamel uh go pal aired in 2004 with an earlier appearance from Peter Dinklage in a few episodes. I've been re-watching it recently and it holds up for me. I'm talking about that thing he just mentioned to you. What thing? The one he just asked if you had heard of and you just looked it up. No, but it didn't air in 2004.
Starting point is 01:23:11 I looked up, but it was in 2010 life as we know it, and it wasn't Peter Dinklage, so I must have looked up something different. Maybe it looks something else. I don't know. Mike Joyce asked, did Roxy block me on Instagram? I don't think I left the mean comment on hers or anything or any other account that she manages. Mike Joyce? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Never, Mike Joyce. What are you talking about? Sid you blocked him. I won't Mike Joyce, what? All right, well, there you go. Go, pal. Let me go try to find you. All right. I'm glad that the she-jacks are branching out from horror since that is not my genre.
Starting point is 01:23:42 Chucky, I can deal with that, but I'm not messing around with the hard stuff. Yeah, me either. I was trying, you know what? I saw some of your Instagram stuff where you react into like terror fire. Yeah, right? Scrored right by it. Holy crap. It has nothing to do with you. Mike, I'm looking at your Instagram right now. You're not blocked.
Starting point is 01:23:59 Yeah. Yeah, some of the stuff that they're having me watch over there is like truly so. But I feel like terror, Terrifier is the scariest by far, but the evil dead movies freaked me the hell out too. Yeah, I think that uh what's going on your head right now. Nothing, I was just closing something out. All right. So here's the next one. and so far 64
Starting point is 01:24:23 go pal that pause in the tushy read after smears your grabs my attention every time even knowing there's no real payoff well the payoff is to get itself for tushy those days are the best to make your butt feel wonderful and it really is like a you just feel classy after you use them
Starting point is 01:24:38 I really hope people are signing up for those at least browsing around in those links show a little uh Josh Vascovich Christian you're a great dad thanks Josh Roxy you're cute gorgeous smart With Gladiator 2 being a relative success,
Starting point is 01:24:54 what other movies from the 2000s could merit a sequel? It's always a tough. It's tough. It's tough. Because it's like when it comes out and you go, oh, yeah, I was wondering why they didn't do that. I always wondered if V for Vendetta would have been interesting.
Starting point is 01:25:07 You know, even I worked for the company that. I told Frank Grillo a quick, Joel Silver story when we were on the air about V for Vendetta. Man, I love that interview. I really do. I don't even call it an interview. I'm so excited.
Starting point is 01:25:20 I love that conversation. is what I'll say. I'm so bummed. I might have to miss UAP Tuesday today. I'm really bummed about that. The pretentiousness of what you just said. What did I say? I don't even call it an interview in conversation.
Starting point is 01:25:36 But it wasn't, but I didn't, I just didn't feel like interview to me is always seeming like you're sitting there like, you have a question, you want to get to it. You're like, okay, so what do you think about this? That's kind of a bad interview. Yeah, well, no. See, but that's the thing. You're good at it. you're good at it. So in your head, like, you look at most interviews, like interviews,
Starting point is 01:25:55 and it's just like, it's people just asking generic questions and safe questions and boring questions. We've, you and I have seen, like, we've seen interviews who are just like, really? That's what you ask. It's just so like, it's boring. I feel so bad for the people who are hired to interview today, though, because they have zero training and they are influencers who are being asked, and are putting themselves out there in a place that they have no training. And it's really tough. It's tough for everybody. It is.
Starting point is 01:26:26 It is. It is. It probably is my favorite thing to do. So tell me about like, was acting hard? Right. Is it right. How did you like working with Robert De Niro? How did you pretend to be in love with your co-star?
Starting point is 01:26:43 Right. Did you always want to say lines? Um, Gabe, memorizing it the toughest part. Right. So hard. Do you drive a car? Gabe Oliver 805. Roxy's looking amazing like always.
Starting point is 01:27:00 Also, rewatching the Lord of the Rings movies on Max. So good and 4K. I highly recommend extended editions. Keep your head. You guys are being so kind today. Thank you. I appreciate it. I certainly subscribe to eat whatever you want over the holidays.
Starting point is 01:27:15 So you better believe I put on like, seven pounds in November. And I'm pretty excited about these compliments. The East Coast food. Yeah, the East Coast food. That'll do it. Oh, my God. Chris is so much better. So much better. So much better.
Starting point is 01:27:30 Albert Glawaki. All reaction and commentary channels, oh, pretty much it. A tip of the hat. They've been at it since 2013. I love the show. Keep it up. I love Eric. I hope they are they still doing stuff?
Starting point is 01:27:43 I didn't even know that they were, but I thought Greg's been doing it for a pretty long time. I don't know. Maybe, maybe. maybe maybe when did pretty much it start they said 2013 i don't know maybe greg started i think gregg started 2014 oh okay maybe 2013 pretty much it didn't just wasn't just doing reactions though they were doing a bunch they were around when we were around alice and i doing stuff too we collaborated with them quite a quite a bit jonathan peck sm 33 is named for smee keep it in the pirates
Starting point is 01:28:10 theme i feel you know what i did the music in skeleton crew there was a little bit of the john williams little bit at the very end but i wish they would i mean because it was michael jekino's son that did the music for this one oh cool i would have liked this scene i i still don't know why they shy away from the original music i just don't get it what's the name christian i'm going to lie and say jason giechino okay that is that is probably a lie and if it's not if it's correct then i was i knew that the whole time uh albert glowaki daily saturday night appreciation post very underrated movie It's going to be lost in the shuffle, but it's very underrated. So good.
Starting point is 01:28:47 Yeah, it's really good. Randy Avanel, New Indiana Jones game looks great. You playing it? Is it out already? If it's out, I'm going to probably go, I'm probably going to get it. And I'm going to do the same thing that I always do. Not play? I'll play it for like a week, and then I'll forget that I have.
Starting point is 01:29:05 But I do want to play. Because if I'm falling off a cliff and I can't fall off and I can't find my way out of a room, I'm done. I can't spend a half an hour. banging into walls and try, everything needs to have idiot mode. And it's got to have a thing of like, if you're spending more than five minutes in a room, bouncing off the same frigging wool, it gives you a hint.
Starting point is 01:29:25 That's what I loved about the uncharted games. He goes, hint, go that way, stupid. And that's what you need to do. You don't do, like the Jedi games, I bailed on all of them because they kept falling off cliffs. I'm done. Roman Fedorek. Man, I'm sorry about those comments, Roxy.
Starting point is 01:29:41 I'm happy to have you in the Lord of the Rings fandom, and I respect your interpretation from one fan to another. Thank you, dear. Joyous Roamer, may the Force be with you guys and also with you. Pete Parker 2288. Apologies. Apologies. Love that character.
Starting point is 01:29:59 Yeah, me not. Which one? He's from the Boba Fett. He was in Veep, that guy. Apologies. Oh, me nuts. Top Dog Rig. Christian, I have to know.
Starting point is 01:30:11 Is the comedy and creature commandos the same? as peacemaker. Example, people bickering about dumb shit, count me out. If so, yeah, they do. They, they, it's that. I love that. Yeah, see, I like that. It's got that gun humor.
Starting point is 01:30:24 It carries over from the suicide squad to this. It's like, there are, there are those moments like that. So if you're not a fan of that, you might not dig it because it's definitely in there. Pete Parker 2288. How was Werewolves? Looks like a B-movie fun. It's exactly what it is. And that's why I loved Frank's interpretation of when I talked to me.
Starting point is 01:30:40 He's like, does it was an 80s movie. The practical effect. It's like you know when you would stumble onto a movie that was made in the 80s and the effects were like so clearly like B movie effects? Yes, yeah. That's what this movie is and he knows it and he loves the fact that's why he signed onto it. It's a cheaper movie that they made for- Is it theaters? Yes, that's what he told me the whole story. He was supposed to, he thought it was going to be just a fun streaming movie and they put the money and they get, they got into like 3,000 theaters. That's great. Yeah. And it's a and it's a smaller movie. And I hope it blows up. I hope it blows up obviously because of Frank, but I hope it also blows
Starting point is 01:31:13 up because I think that the type of movies that like this like a terrifier three those types of movies that are these smaller movies that show that people will still come and support of them and then you have these movies that are worth through that 250 million and can barely even break even trying to like teach them a lesson so if you like those that's not going to be for everybody if you if you like those old throwback I mean the creatures are so 80s like practical they're practical effects I look the trailer yeah the story is basically it's a that's a wolf Apocalypse everybody's turning into werewolves and you got a it's like it's like what's it called wolf soldiers I forget the name of that movie but meets um meets the purge and and it and it's just
Starting point is 01:31:55 He's in the purge yeah he's in the purge so it's like it and so he said was a reason he's attracted to the movie too so yeah it's it is that's exactly what it is it's be movie I call him purge daddy oh nice D hijack skeleton crew misses that album vibe by not letting kids act naturally focusing too much on acting not the kids fault I still enjoy the show I can see that note yeah how is it focus too much in acting I'm missing I think I'm making them feel like they have like it doesn't seem like they're in in natural conversations and it seems like more so like okay you're gonna be this type of character you're gonna be this type of character it's your time to say this line I saw a little bit of that I I I can't disagree with that
Starting point is 01:32:34 but I didn't that's fair but but I but I understand what the point that's being made mad sinister mackal orcs are sexier than the Roxy haters Roxy's the best. That's true. And orcs are not sexy. It's another thing I missed. That the orcs are on top of the wards. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:52 I thought that I was like, what are those? That's all right. Don't worry about it. Go, pal. I haven't seen Lord of the Rings since the theater, but watching Roxy's reaction, I'm reminded of Clerks 2 and Randall trolls a fan so hard that he vomits. It's hilarious from Clerks, dude. You should watch that, Roxy.
Starting point is 01:33:06 I've seen it. The clerks, too? Remember that moment? I've seen all of the, are you kidding? Jay and Kev and Kevin? I've seen all of their stuff. I know, but do you remember that moment now that I'm saying I remember a single movie ever? No, but I have seen it.
Starting point is 01:33:20 Go back and we watch it. Bobby Jackson. Morning, Christian and Roxy. What's up, Bobby? Roxy. Hi, Bobby. Now that you've watched Lord of the Rings, any plans to watch The Hobbit or the Rings of Power? Yeah, we're watching The Hobbit movies next, which I like don't want to do because people have been so vicious.
Starting point is 01:33:40 I'm so glad I watched all three Lord of the Rings before. the comments so that i could like yeah but yeah we're gonna i'm actually starting the hobbit movies today oh are you okay all right yeah i won't get i'm not gonna give you any what my opinion on until after you're watching uh go pal i hear that they're not good so i'd like smog the best apple plus is the one that i don't have do i need it i mean there's some great stuff on apple i think it's the best streaming service right now i like that this one is addressed to you by the the way top dog rig hey roxy have christian and tara met each other yet i feel like they would be good friends loving your lord of the reaction lord of the ring's reactions hashtag she ejects for life
Starting point is 01:34:19 is that a no i've never i've never met her before you never met tara um that's interesting i think we follow each other on something you guys could for sure be homies um yeah for sure how's her sense of humor she's funny she's like she does sketches and stuff that her whole YouTube channel came up on sketches. Greg found her because she actually was hosting it afterbos, but he found her because she was doing like sketches and stuff on her YouTube. So she's funny. So I'm in. Yeah. Grim Beer 13. I don't think Lucasfilm was expecting to win fans back with Skeleton Crew because they thought Ackleit was a hit. I like them trying new genres though. Well, the problem is again, what they do is they go after, they don't have a overall plan.
Starting point is 01:35:01 They go out to different creators and they say, let's hope this one hits. Let's hope this one. Let's hope they all hit. And there's no overall plan that connects. It's like, but they've hired the right people here. They hired Gilroy. They hired John Watts. And they're going to get some quality stuff. The problem is the aftermath and what comes next.
Starting point is 01:35:20 And I don't even think that they know that yet. So, no. And I don't necessarily know if they don't, you didn't know it was going to be a hit. And I still, we still don't know if it's a hit. We don't know what the ratings are going to be like. There's not a lot of buzz on that show. I'll tell you that.
Starting point is 01:35:33 Bobby Jackson. Since Roxy sometimes has hard outs, do you think that might contribute to why some of the other hosts rack up higher numbers? Maybe. How far over do you go with them? It depends on how many questions we get. Like, you know, like, so, like we started late today, and if you have to bail right at three, then we're going to be in trouble. Yeah. So, but yeah, they go, they usually stay until the questions are done.
Starting point is 01:35:57 That's very nice of them. All right. PLD projects. Hey, that's not PLD. The Sheejects watching Lord of the Rain. was so wholesome. I can't wait to see Return of the King and Holy Snokes. Skeleton crew is so much fun. Be Rugged. PLD. I had no idea you were going to like that Star Wars show. Making a joke. Yes, he loves everything. Mad Sinister McCall. Seen Hannibal TV show,
Starting point is 01:36:21 Mads Mickelson over Hopkins. I've never watched that show. Dorena swears by it. People love it. Joey Pedrus. Any Scrubs fans here in the house? Bill Lawrence has been talking about some kind of reboot. Maybe they'll make it at his new home at Apple. It would work at Apple. You asked Krista Miller about it, remember? Yeah, we did. It would work at Apple. Yeah, I mean, he's got shrinking and Bad Monkey over there. So yeah, Armada. Josh sounded like Oz Cobb. I love it as he did through that. It's true. He did. Jack Lewis. Christian, have you watched the episodes of Kobrkai. I have so thoughts. I'm digging it. I mean, look, there is a place like Matt Sarah hates Coburke. I does not like it. And it's because, like,
Starting point is 01:37:00 and I understand his reasoning behind it. It's like it has got to a place. You've got to look at it as like a comic book show now. You can't look at it like the first one, the first season is the most kind of in real. The rest of it just goes, cuckoo could chew. But I'm really enjoying it so far.
Starting point is 01:37:16 And I'm going to finish watching that with my daughter also. So I'm digging it. I'm caught up. It's so good. I love it. Is it? Okay. Is it?
Starting point is 01:37:23 Yeah, I love it. I love where they ended too. It's like, oh, yeah. Armada. Why did Richard shit in a giant's helmet? Well,
Starting point is 01:37:32 I gotta be honest with you could he was he was hot out there was raining I know where to go was knocking on the door and no one will let me in I'm a cowboy's fan even though I grew up majority of my life here and so I saw the helmet I took my shot and I buried in the backyard it's me stevo Christian take me to a screening in 2025 I'm in new york taking my uncle today to go see the bob Dylan movie oh yeah you're screening that today yeah what time Um, 6.30. I'm going. Oh, my God. Why am I not invited to that? This one's a CCA screening. Uh, go pal.
Starting point is 01:38:07 Roxy, you have to react to sucker punch after 300. Oh, have you never seen 300 before? I, we just did it on. Oh, you told me that. You told me that. You told me that. I've never seen sucker punch either. Okay. That's that I got, I got, that's the one movie that I got manipulated into thinking that I enjoyed it. And I hated it from Ellis. And I was like, I was so confused by that movie when I saw it. I was like, I don't think I like that.
Starting point is 01:38:33 It all is loud. And Alice was like, come on. You dug it. I'm like, I did. It was, I don't even know. I got to find that review posted because I was so that. I was like, that movie stinks. Man, Sinister McHale.
Starting point is 01:38:45 Hot take. Dork Gandolf should have stayed dead in part one. Yeah, it's a hot take. Oh my God. See it, nobody's crapping on you, but I disagree, sir. I disagree. Marcus M. Favorite DC animated project? I don't know. That's so hard to say.
Starting point is 01:39:03 Probably the Harley Quinn animated series. The Mask of Fantasim was pretty good. Pete Parker 2288. Thor Dark World has the worst villain in all MCU. He's not great. He's not great. He's forgetable. Very forgettable.
Starting point is 01:39:15 No doubt. Top Dog Rigg. Love and Thunder is an insult to the MCU. Thor and Comedy. Agreed. It's a real piss fest. It's a real piss fest. I like Tyco, but that movie's
Starting point is 01:39:26 Terrible. Terrible movie. Bobby Anse. Hot take, Thor, Love and Thunder, is top five MCU for me. You better stop this. Bob Beyonce. Stop this. You want to get banned from this channel. The Sink Lord.
Starting point is 01:39:44 Enjoyed your interview with Jalil. You and Corey from double, from a double trouble. I was going to say. Double toasted. Double-tosted double trouble. Do my favorite interviews on YouTube. The ones with David Dallas Malchrome were great too. I didn't realize that Corey did interviews.
Starting point is 01:40:00 I know that they do their show, which is hilarious. I didn't know they did. I love David Dalsmashian, and I also loved your interview with Joliel. Oh, thank you. Thank you. I'm going, you know what? I should send you the Dalsmolchen one to do also. Should probably clip that one out too.
Starting point is 01:40:13 Please, thank you. I have that one. Yeah, I got Ian McShane that I should clip out. Rangers fan, 1996. I'm Scottish. Went with Bellin because it's more PG than the Scottish version. Fair enough. Oh.
Starting point is 01:40:25 Oh, interesting. The only people who say Bell End are my, are my British friends. Sorry to call you British when you're Scottish. I know you guys don't like that. We're at six minutes left and Roxy, we're at a number that Roxy does not like. So I think Gunn, this is top dog rig. I think Gunn is a good storyteller, but his brand of humor wears thin after a while. Hopefully he rakes it in for Superman because yikes have not. I agree with that. I agree with that. And I says, but it works for Suicide Squad, the Suicide Squad. It works for peacemaker. It works for Creature Commandos.
Starting point is 01:40:58 This type of style. And it works for a lighter. It's a PG-13 version for Galaxy, Gardens of Gardens of Galaxy. It will not work for Superman. Doesn't mean that he won't crush. Because we've seen it before with comedic actors who've become dramatic.
Starting point is 01:41:16 He's an artist. So let's see what he does. Brian O'Neill. Skeleton crew is just okay, but the music is great. Very Star Wars. I don't, I don't think it was very Star Wars. I don't. I think it's good.
Starting point is 01:41:29 It's very good music. But Star Wars, he and there. Not all the way. I don't agree. DNV, 900. Roxy, I thought you would be more impressed with Aragorn's opening the doors. Great reactions, if only the Hobbit films were as good. I hear that everybody is disappointed that I thirsted over Aragorn forever.
Starting point is 01:41:50 And then he opens the doors. And I guess they cut out my reaction to that part. He was so hot the entire movie that there was no not hot. There was never not hot. Except you don't remember his name. Aunt Mans. Yes, I do. I just, it's my nickname for my sweetheart.
Starting point is 01:42:09 Fair enough. Hey, guys, are you looking forward to Daredeville Born Again? Very much so. You? For sure. Yeah. Matt Sinister, Macal. I work for Sauron.
Starting point is 01:42:19 Two negates Gandalf sacrifices arc. Fair enough. Fair enough. Top dog rig. Hey, Roxy. She always says she doesn't like to yuck other yums, but 69 is where she draws the line. That's true. No, if you love 69ing, I'm so happy for you. Are you talking to me or just in general?
Starting point is 01:42:39 Top dog girl. Oh, Top Dog Grig. Good. We got all the way there. You still three minutes left, but you got you hit 72. That's a good number to go into a battle with Steph. I like that number. three minutes left we could go for 75 you think so um i think i don't know for sure but you got a shot
Starting point is 01:42:58 you got a shot and you got so it's two it's two 57 72 i like i like your odds on a 72 going into a thursday with so weird that it's 257 for you oh yeah for you it's not um but i like it's also day left it's also 28 degrees i'll tell you that and you i don't have to tell you because you were just in cold weather so man it's so hard it's cold it's cold it's so cold um you got it 73 julius why i just put in a little uh little nice little donations there you thank you julius so 73 for that uh with three minutes the spare and thanksgiving i did i did have a good thing it went with some some we had some family we went over to some family we um it was nice because my kids haven't had like the big thanksgiving with like a lot of people there. So they were, we did that. We had, there's a good 20, 20 plus people where we went and
Starting point is 01:43:57 sat around the table. It was great because my, my little one was the youngest. They did this tradition where, where the little, the youngest breaks the bread. So she had to break the bread and everybody cheered. So she felt so. So it was, you always feel so special when you're the one who gets to do this thing. Yeah. That's what she's, she's just, this is the best Thanksgiving ever. Did you get to buy anything for Cyber Monday? No. I got, I, I have all this stuff I got to buy for freaking where the hell is that i make sure that i'm looking for my gifts from i got to get for my wife um okay narclipsy 27 yop yep yep hate that top dog rig i was just home so i'm all caught up on all you're caught up and all that okay so we should have you i should just continue this into uap

Starting point is 01:44:57 I was going to say it. It was an immaculate conception? Unknown. No, I just honestly, I'm working on my happiness every day. Better help really helps. And yeah, I haven't been dating, so that's probably helpful. This is probably a reason why. You weren't wrong.

It's complete unknown. Knock it on Heaven's door. I know it's one of the more popular, but there's actually a version that he did with the with the Grateful Dead that I love that I listen to. It's live. That's my favorite one out of the ones he does. But I can't wait. I like a lot of the folk when I like the one he did. Hurricane is another one I love. I'm so with you on these. I also love how long we've been doing this that I no longer know what shows I've been on you no longer know what shows you've been. Was I on Dizzy Moon? I don't remember. Top Dog RLG. There you go. Starting point is 01:47:40 Daddy's having trouble. That's it. No trouble. It's me, Daddy. No, stop that. No trouble for you, though, Roxy, as you are now in the lead going into, and you have shattered Roka's theory
Starting point is 01:47:50 that because there's a single, there's only one person, they can't be two people. And he wants to do the debate, by the way. How do we debate his wrong opinion? We got to get that happening. And maybe that's the day where you both. Maybe that's the day where you win.
Starting point is 01:48:06 And maybe that's the day when he can shut up about not having two people on the panel. All right, well, thank you guys for being here. Once again, I really appreciate it.
