We lost Friends star Matthew Perry over the weekend, gone way too soon. Starting point is 00:00:42 say in the comments, one guy, it was shots fired, comedic shots fired. Choose my more words, a little, what was it, easier, better, whatever the words were I'm trying to get it out. I had a sandwich. I did. Shots fired. Comedically. When someone takes a shot at you, you go, Oh, shots fired. Oh, shots fired. Were they funny? Were they not funny? We're going to find out inside the conversation in a little bit.
Starting point is 00:01:07 What's not funny is this sag strike. It's been going on for quite a while now. Is the end near? It looks like it's possible that the end could be near. Is it going to happen today? Is it going to happen tomorrow? I do not know. We will talk about that.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Speaking of Star Wars, by the way, It looks like after the writer strike, the new Ray movie, the script continued, and we might get the first or recent draft before Thanksgiving. So is that mean that that title that was leaked? Is that more possible now that it is a new beginning for the Star Wars franchise? RIP to the comedic legend, Matthew Perry, was the news dropped. over the weekend that he had passed away, Sally, young age. And we'll talk a little bit about him, his impact and a few other things here today on the show. So I'm glad that you can be joining us.
Starting point is 00:02:11 We are going to talk about that. We're going to take your questions, that and more on the episode here today. If you haven't already done it, we are rapidly approaching 100,000 subscribers. We're almost there, guys. So we hope that you guys will join us. If you hit that button, you're going to take your questions as well today. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, anywhere podcasts are found. Thank you for joining us.
Starting point is 00:02:33 It's the big thing. Let's do it. What's going on everybody? It is the big thing. Myself, Christian Harloff here on this Monday and doing a live show for you. I've been doing a lot more live shows on Monday. It's been fun to interact with you guys. And like I said, basically what we do here on the show on Mondays is that we'll go through all the topics that I picked out.
Starting point is 00:03:17 See if there's any new ones that come in and all that. But throughout the show, you guys throw in your super chats. And at the end, I will go through every single one of them, no matter how long it takes to get through them. We'll do it. That's the beauty of having the live show. So normally the pre-record is set for an hour. We go an hour. We go an hour, 10.
Starting point is 00:03:33 We go an hour and a half, whatever. So ask whatever you might want to. Now, as I goofed up in the beginning, I saw some people, and we're going to get into. the topic of what it was. But I saw some people say, because in the thumbnail, they put shots fire. Stand by it. Sorry, you're offended by it. I mean, everybody gets offended by everything.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Choose your words more precise or, or carefully or whatever you said. Come on, man. Come on. That's the problem. That's what everyone's doing. Like shots fired, whoever wants to take it. It's like, you ever say something to somebody and you goofing around with your friends and they go, whoa, shots fired. Crazy. Shots fire.
Starting point is 00:04:06 It was. It was communically shots fired. Now I'm going to start by this. It was funny. It was funny. It was a funny bit. What's the difference between what Saturday Night Live did to Fran Drescher over the weekend and what they did to Kathleen Kennedy? The problem is it's exactly what I said the other day.
Starting point is 00:04:22 And this is essentially what happens in situations like this. That there's always two sides, unfortunately. And there's the side of the people who, no matter what, what people also don't realize is that South Park took shots at everyone. They started by taking shots at all the racists and the people who don't want women and people of color in movies. They took shots at them right up top. And they said how because they were doing all this stuff, that's what happened. And what we talked about in the show with capes and cows is sometimes what happens is that the studio feels like they're like they have to do stuff because they don't want to get called down.
Starting point is 00:04:59 And sometimes it hurts people in these particular roles because they're, why are they doing what they're doing? Are they doing for the right casting? Are they doing it? I believe everybody thinks that everybody should have. I mean, well, I shouldn't say everybody, but most people who are watching this show believe that everybody should have an opportunity. Sometimes things are forced in order to whether it's you don't, people don't want to get in trouble. People don't want to, you know, have certain backlashes and things like that. That happens.
Starting point is 00:05:32 It happens all the time. I had Sholema Mado Madovini in here saying the very same thing. But then there's, there's times that. Speaking of Blue Beetle, that movie is cast brilliantly. There's movies that there are roles in, like John Boyega, cast brilliantly, right? All these different things that have happened. But the goof that they took on Kathleen Kennedy, it was funny. It was funny.
Starting point is 00:05:52 But the problem was, once social media happened and a lot of people who were haters and want to come in and say certain things and just want to hate to hate to hate, we're like, yeah, get them, go get them. And then if you said, if you thought it was funny, like I did a reaction to it, but it got blocked. I couldn't put it. But if I saw people, people that I know, saying, oh, look, South Park is taking shot and think that the diversity in film shouldn't happen. They never said that. At the end, they even made a crack about the fact that people are overusing the term woke. And it's like the comedy has become a lost thing where you got to tiptoe
Starting point is 00:06:30 over what you can say and what you can. And South Park didn't do that. And South Park didn't do that. It was funny. Now, you can agree or disagree and say whether it was funny or not. If you didn't think it was funny, you didn't think it was funny. But it went into this political thing again, back and forth as I knew it would right away. And I think that you're allowed to think it's funny and not, I'm sure there's people who are watching right now who thought it was funny. And you very much believe in diversity and very much believe in equal opportunity. And just because you thought it was funny doesn't mean the opposite.
Starting point is 00:07:05 people who were on one side were saying exactly that, which is ridiculous. And then the other side of it is if that people were tunnel vision going, oh, they're just taking shots at Kathleen Kennedy and that's all they're doing. No, they're taking shots. A lot of people who are commenting on you. They were taking shots at everybody. And I say, what's the difference of what, again, Saturday Night Live does to what they did? It's because it became a political thing again.
Starting point is 00:07:31 And it's what our movies we know have always been political. There's been always been political themes about that back and forth. But the fandom now has taken a stance in the same way that they do, whether it's, I'm a Republican, I'm a Democrat, I'm this, I like this, I like that. It's like, you can say, yeah, look, I, I'm normally on this side of things, but that was funny. And it doesn't mean that you're now on the other team. It drives me crazy. It drives me crazy.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Like if you responded with, I thought it was pretty funny. Oh, why? You don't believe in this? Of course I do. But that's not what we're talking about. funny. And that's why I say shots fired. It was funny. Comedic, you can be shots fired. So everyone, the same guy who wrote that in the comments going, oh, choose your words carefully. No, no, because it was funny. You can, you can, you can say, I would not say, oh, no, shots fire. They're coming
Starting point is 00:08:20 after this and that. There's ways you can say things. It's funny. So that drove me crazy. And even in the comments, again, I'm not taking a shot at this guy necessarily, but it looks like particularly, that's what people do. It's like, come on, man, choose your words. No, that's funny. Like, I say it to, I'll say it to my friend. I'll say, oh, shit, shots fired coming after you. Same thing. But I did a poll and the poll, I'm not sure what the results were so far. I'll let you're now 95%, 5% say, um, it was too far. Oh, shut up me. Um, so yeah. So, yeah. it was just you know like i said no i don't think everybody needs to say that it was you know i don't think that if if someone goes look i watch it i didn't think it was very funny that's very different
Starting point is 00:09:14 and i think you're entitled to your opinion on that if you think like i watched it i checked it out and to me it just it didn't work i just i don't like the point of of the fingers and of and saying like if you think it was funny than this or if you if you didn't then you must be on the side of this it's like it's exhausting it's exhausting I saw the I mean I saw it reacted to it as let's see what they're going to say they give no F's at all and they've never have they've been doing it for years that's what they do it's no idea if it's it's it seemed like so on Saturday Live does it nobody nobody says anything and that's not it's to me it's I don't I don't
Starting point is 00:09:55 I don't get it like I wonder if if Saturday Live would have done that would have done the same thing would they have gotten the same slack online i have no idea i don't know maybe they would have maybe they wouldn't anyway um i am going to go through all this stuff i see that the super chats are coming in i'm going to answer them at the end i promise i promise um i will be checking it out and i'll be answering all those questions for sure we're getting right we got right into it why not Let's do it. This weekend we went to the Halloween hoot. Thing of my,
Starting point is 00:10:37 so we went to some fun stuff for the kids. And then I hope, I hope you guys all had some fun this weekend, which I saw a lot of, a lot of Christmas, Christmas, yeah, a lot of Christmas parties. A lot of Halloween costumes, a lot of parties. I hope everybody had a blast.
Starting point is 00:10:57 I hope everybody had a blast. Um, those the other stuff. I was, what did I watch? Started watching. Oh yeah, for, by the way, I might as well talk about about that right now. And then, um, because it goes into what I was talking about. I do a thing on Patreon that's called, uh, what I'm watching. And I just throughout the entire week or month, rather,
Starting point is 00:11:16 so about everything I've been watching. And so I watched, I talked about like beetles juice and things that up. But I'm watching the, uh, GenV just watched, watching Avatar, my wife again, the first one, watching, oh, this movie, the painkillers, is that what it's called? What was it called? The one with Emily Blunt and Chris Evans that I'm watching. It's better than I thought. It's kind of like a Netflix version, a Wolf of Wall Street, kind of, kind of.
Starting point is 00:11:42 So I'm watching that. And speaking to Patreon, got a lot of different goals that we're trying to get. All the new tiers, everything, the bonus content and everything starts on November 1st. And I also do these one-on-one sessions, about, I think there's like 12 of them that I do. And it's like a half an hour piece. I do one-on-one sessions. And then we have another tier where you get like a surprise tier. It could be anybody.
Starting point is 00:12:07 It could be Kalanowski, could be Steph, could be anybody. And we do that. But as we get to a thousand patrons, Winston will probably, obviously next year, we'll be going to Halloween horror nights. We're at the 10,000. Once we have 10,000, Brett's going to skydive as the flirt and flowers. But there's a lot of other things and goals that we're going. going after and things that we're going to do.
Starting point is 00:12:29 And I think there's at 600, Mike Kalanowski's going to do stand-up comedy for five minutes. And there was another one. We said, oh, yeah, Koi. What did we say? It had to be nice to people. I think was it for a month? I can't remember on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:12:40 It gets to be nice to people for a month. So there's a lot of things that we're adding into it. So it's the first link in the description, patreon.com slash the big thing show. All right. Like I said, I see the comments coming in. I see all these things. And I see it already see, and I think we should get to this right away. and talk about this because over the weekend,
Starting point is 00:13:00 there was the sad news that Matthew Perry had passed away. Matthew Perry, of course, from Friends fame, one of the biggest sitcoms of all time. This is Dark Horizons. Matthew Perry has died. TMZ broke the news and the actor reportedly appeared to have drowned in his jacuzzi in his LA home on Saturday. he was 54 years old.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Law enforcement says that the first responders rushed over on a call for cardiac arrest. Perry was found in a jacuzzi at the house and no drugs found at the scene. The outlet has also been told that there's no foul play involved, and Perry was most famous for Chandler Bing in the 1990s. He hasn't been on-screen acting since 2017. He battled substance addiction over the years, alcohol and painkillers. Perry released a memoir going into his personal battles. he also had health issues that sometimes required hospitalizations,
Starting point is 00:13:58 one stem from a gastrointestinal preforation, which he recovered. There's a lot here. I think we're going to get more information as the conversation continues with Matthew Perry. As well documented, many times over from the things he's talked about in his most recent memoir, the guy put a lot of damage on his body over the last however many years, you know, from his abuse. And you look, I immediately thought like all the wrestlers that have had painkiller add add addictions and everything too and how it just took a toll in their body. And I think that with that much abuse, you know, it just, it took its, it took its toll.
Starting point is 00:14:38 And the guy, and as he talked about, he just wasn't in the best shape and had just years and years of abuse. So I don't, I don't necessarily, everybody always thinks the worst right away, though, whether he really relapsed. It's like, that's not really not the important thing at the moment, too. It's the fact that it's super sad, 54 years old. And whatever might have been, he was in his house. And just super sad, just super sad that that, that, I mean, he, what I did, I think when I was looking at it,
Starting point is 00:15:09 and I was looking at all the responses and you can see how much that show and how much, like how incredibly talented he was. What he did and the, like that role and, and how he, got the role in general and and what he was able to do and the he was he there was no difference like a really talented performer like that when you think about like one of like the troubled kind of stand-up comedians that you listen to his past interviews I think it was on that um the max special with friends when he was talking about how it was the laugh and he was always going to going after the laugh and addicted to the laugh and it's it's no different when you hear a lot of the
Starting point is 00:15:51 comedians and being around that for so many years in hearing. So he was very familiar to hear it when he was talking about it. And yeah, it was just, he was just an incredible performer. And he meant a lot to a lot of people. And you could see from the love that was just out there. I hadn't, I haven't really done a deep dive and look, but I'm not sure if any of the friends cast has posted anything yet. I'm sure maybe they did.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Maybe they're just not ready to yet. but I'm sure that they're incredible, incredible pain. And especially like I was thinking like, I saw something on social media about everybody's thinking about like Matt LeBlanc, right? And yeah, this was rough. This was a rough one, especially when the fact that 54 is super young, super young.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Like even my daughter who's 12 and when you're when you're 12 years old, we're almost 12, when you're that age, everybody who's older than 25 seems old to you, right? So she'd walked in and she goes, wow, that's, that's, that's, young to die. She said she's that young. She's like it's old, but it's young to die. And I was just like, it, it hit that hit me. I was like, it really, it really is. And I'm devastating to
Starting point is 00:17:03 his friends and his family. Always say that when these things happen, you know. And, um, and again, seeing everybody kind of the, the love that was coming in, it was well deserved. So again, Matthew Perry gone of 54, gone way too soon, uh, RIP. All right. No easy way to transition out of that when you try and just saw a huge super shot coming in by the way and thank you for everybody who's putting in the super chats I'm going to get to all of them so we just put it in that massive one thank you and you're like well you're not going to read it of course I am when I once I get to the end of the stories I'm going to talk about all of it but I'm going to geek out again because every time I do this you guys like last week you saw me geek out but I'm going to geek out

Starting point is 00:22:31 All right. I see the super chats are coming in, but we've got some more stories, guys. Let's talk about this strike. Let's talk about this strike because the strike is almost over. So they say, do you think it's going to happen? think we're going to be at the, are we in the home stretch here, guys?
Starting point is 00:22:47 I don't know. But nonetheless, again, dark horizons. Actors strike talks are nearing the final stretch, big question mark. Talks between SAG after and AMPTP, WX, Y, Z continued on Sunday as they appear to be closing in on a potential new deal reports deadline. The trade indicates that there's a feeling of optimism with one studio source saying it looks like we're in the final stretch. Both sides reportedly expressed confidence that a deal may be reached within days, but the situation is still fluid and there is still a lot to work through, says another source, so don't pop the champagne just yet. The sides have allegedly gained sufficient,
Starting point is 00:23:30 excuse me, significant traction in bridging the core issue of compensation for streaming projects, an issue that has seemingly been the biggest divide between them in recent weeks. The move of three major films in the past week off the 2024 calendar is being seen as a sign that the studio is now falling under increased pressure to end the strike and restart global feature and TV production. Negotiations are likely to continue this coming week as there is a push to get the deal done in order to save what's left of the 2324 TV season and the 2024 film calendar. Yeah, I think this is a little bit. I mean, that end obviously had to be written, but it's a bit about, No, duh, yeah, that's, that's what needs to happen. That's what needs to happen.
Starting point is 00:24:14 It's got to be done. And it's got to be done. Everyone's like, okay, well, January, maybe it goes into January. The problem is if they start negotiating into January, you're going to, you're not going to start putting stuff until February and the summer season is going to be pushed back. The summer season is going to look so weird next year unless they start pushing things into the summer season into 2025, which is, I think, happening anyway. So if they're able to get this thing done this week, I feel like we're getting the announcement tomorrow. That's what I'm saying. I think tomorrow we get an announcement that it's done.
Starting point is 00:24:47 I think that they're looking over the contracts. They're looking over the things. They're looking over all the deals. They're figuring it out. They're saying, okay, final deals, we need to get it all done. We need to get things moving again. And then, you know, it won't be ratified right away. But they'll say people can go back to work starting on either tomorrow or Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:25:05 I'm optimistic, guys. I think it's happening tomorrow. I can feel it. But then again, I could just have gas. I don't know. What do you guys think? It's just this has been going on for a bit. People are getting in trouble now for the Halloween costumes.
Starting point is 00:25:21 They're getting mad at Megan Fox because she dressed up as like a kill bill character or something. Like I said, I think all the other stuff I get. I thought that was ridiculous. I thought it was ridiculous. And I think even so much so Saturday Live spoofed them. And rightfully so. It was a funny bit that they did. But nonetheless, they've been holding strong, rightfully so,
Starting point is 00:25:43 fighting for what they're not letting the studio overpower them with a lot of propaganda stuff and other things that they were trying to do. But the time is now to end it. It's got to be done. It's got to be done. You got to get it done before Christmas. You got to get it done. As the holidays are coming, you've got to get them done.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I think that they realize that. I think that it's going to happen. And I think they know that this is, this to me seems like it's, it's moments away. What do you guys think, though? Do you think it's going to happen? I'm very curious.
Starting point is 00:26:19 I'm very curious of what you guys think. Do you think this is going to happen? I'm looking and I want, and I'm checking it out. I, the other day, you know, for people who watch the UAP show, we're doing another one, obviously tomorrow Riley's coming over to film,
Starting point is 00:26:35 tonight and um i don't know what i saw the other night i don't know i showed it to one of our patrons when i was on in and that same patron shared me shared something with me i don't know what i saw i'm gonna play it on the show tomorrow uh i called riley and it was in front of my house my wife thought it was an absolute lunatic staring into the sky but i don't know i'll play the video tomorrow so look out for that you know the things that we're working on i got a lot of other things were working on, man. I got the pizza reviews that have been doing pretty good for what we were considering the LA reviews. They're doing between like 5 to 10,000, which is, which is to me enough for those businesses to get, you know, five to 10,000 more eyes on their businesses. So I was
Starting point is 00:27:20 excited about that. And we just put one up on Sunday. We got a couple other ones that we got coming out. Soon we just did another one. I'll be editing that. But the other stuff, I'm going to see the Marvels. I'm going to see, um, The Hunger Games in a couple of weeks, but I think, I feel by the time we get to the Hunger Games, that we might be close to that 100,000. When we get to that 100,000,
Starting point is 00:27:45 depending on when we, when it hits, ideally I'd love to do like a live stream with Brett and I guess. Brett, Brett's really been with me for this thing since we launched it and has been put as kind of really, really helped me out. Brett has helped me out tremendously with the studio and with everything too.
Starting point is 00:28:01 So I'd love for him to be there when we do it. I see the super chats coming in. Don't worry. I'll get to them. I'm going to get to them. If you haven't already done it, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, all those help. Very much so. You know, I mentioned before we're talking about the South Park and the Kathleen Kennedy stuff and all that too.
Starting point is 00:28:21 But speaking of Star Wars in general, Star Wars, the new movie is supposed to come out in May of 2026. That's what they're saying. Well, this is Star Wars. Nope, this is Dark Horizons. And Garth Franklin writes this one. The full extent of delays due to the WGA and the SAG Astra striker remains unknown, but one thing is for sure. The shooting schedules over the next six, six, yeah, people are going to have been having sex all over the place. Shooting schedules over the next, people will be having sex all over the place once it strikes over. Shooting schedules over the next six to 12 months will be madhouse.
Starting point is 00:28:58 I'll be a madhouse as projects Jocel Star, and continue or finish shooting depending on the availability of actors in the facilities. That includes the three Star Wars film announced back in April, both Dave Filoni and James Mangold films are a bit further off and unimpacted. The Daisy Ridley-led film from director Charmino Bid Chinoi is likely not so lucky, according to Star Wars Newsnet. Peaky Blinders creator Stephen Knight is aiming to have his latest draft of the screenplay, finished by the end of the month, with the script handed into Lucas before Christmas.
Starting point is 00:29:34 At last report prior to the strikes, cameras were aiming to begin rolling in London and April. The site suggests it's simply too soon, and an August-September start date seems more likely. The site also shoots down a recent title rumor. There we go on that. That has been swirling about the film, suggesting it's called Star Wars A New Beginning. They say Lucasfilm hasn't decided on shit. I didn't say that in the article, but you get it. with the decision expected later on.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Film is expected to unfold 15 years later after the events of Star Wars to rise of Skywalker with Ridley's Ray attempting to create a new Jedi order. It'll mark the film with the furthest, the long point in the Star Wars time. All right. Well, I think, you know, you never say never on that title,
Starting point is 00:30:19 but maybe they change it now, or maybe that was never the title in the first place. Look, the other thing is it's supposed to come out 2026. So if they push the shoot date into whatever it was, May, June, July, whatever, they'll still have enough time. So there's enough time, especially if the script's going to be turned in. If they want to get it done by May, they'll have enough time to put it all together from 2024 to 2026. They have more than enough time. So yeah, that's, I mean, you could, you could push it all the way to May. I mean, all the way to 2025 of January if you wanted to,
Starting point is 00:30:53 and you'd still be able to make it. So, you know, no one's worried about that. But the question is, is a script going to be enough for them to go, yep, we need to shoot this thing. Or is there going to be more problems, another screenwriter, another director, like all that. You can understand why people would say that. But the question is, will it come to fruition? I say yes. I think this will come to fruition. I think the team is in place.
Starting point is 00:31:16 I think this is the first movie that will be done. And I think they're going to lead with Ray. And I think the reason they're going to lead with Ray, regardless of what people, I did a poll yesterday on the channel, over like 10,000. votes. And it was just simply, what was your favorite Star Wars movie of the new era? I couldn't fit solo in there because let's face it, it wasn't going to win. So I didn't put it in there. But the, and people, because of the rise of Skywalker wasn't going to win. Yeah, but it's still part of the new trilogy. So I put it as part of the new trilogy plus Rogue one. Rogue one was a resounding winner with over 70% of 10,000 votes. So that was pretty nuts.
Starting point is 00:31:58 Now, Rise of Skywalker, oh, excuse me, Force Awakens was number two. That franchise to the casual fan is memorable. People know it. Ray is a household name. So that's the safe bet of what they're going with. They're going with, well, let's get Daisy Ridley. Let's try to do this one thing. Let's try to wrap it.
Starting point is 00:32:22 It's essentially the fourth film of the franchise. I mean, it's not a, really, it's not a new beginning. It's a fourth movie. It's like the fourth film. I mean, you have the characters. There's no, there's no escaping it.
Starting point is 00:32:33 I wonder if that would have been the same if it was that Helen Mirren type of story. It was even though you've got, I mean, I guess that's kind of the same argument can be made. Well, yeah. Yeah. Look,
Starting point is 00:32:44 the prequals would the first six films are all together. They're the same types of characters. So anytime of the characters, no matter, even if you have the Helen Mirren version of Ray, it still would count as a fourth film. So I just I still think that that to me would have been a ballsier move, a riskier move, but a ballsier move because I know people and I'm sure someone will push back on that here.
Starting point is 00:33:09 But the reason why is because it allows you to essentially turn Ray into the Obi-Wan, where she was, where Obi-1 was in episode four, it allows you to turn Ray into that character and create a whole bunch new characters. I mean, people can say, well, they can still do that now. yeah, but Daisy really is only like what? How many years older? 2018 is when they shot that movie. The last one that came out 2019.
Starting point is 00:33:34 And so she's only whatever. It'll be seven years later or whatever the hell it is. And when they went or maybe less, they start shooting it. So she's not going to look 15 years older. They might use some stuff too. But she's still, they should. I mean, if you have her at this age,
Starting point is 00:33:51 I mean, she's got to only be, how old is Daisy Ridley? 30? How old is Daisy Ridley? Daisy Ridley? I'm going to guess she's like 30 years old, as I'm going to guess. 31. She's super young. So she's 31 years old. Be stupid. If you ever 31 years old, be stupid not to have her as one of the main action. She can kick ass. She's going to be strong and it'd be the question is that they're going to kill her off. They seem to kill everybody off. I wonder they're going to do that. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Who the hell knows anymore? But nonetheless, it's coming out and it's going to come out. And I think it'll do well. Now, where there's going to be any good? I don't know. I like Stephen Knight. I like what Chenoy did with Ms. Marvel. I like the team.
Starting point is 00:34:38 I don't know if it's going to be any good. But I get it. I get why they're doing it. It will do well. At least opening weekend, it will do well. So I'm very curious of what you guys think. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:56 I want to hear what people are saying. All right. Let's see. We'll kind of keep going on. I see more of the questions are coming in, and that's cool. I appreciate it. I'll get to all of them.
Starting point is 00:35:12 I'm going to get to a couple more stories here. I guess the other thing is they, Loki season two, there's two episodes left. I'm not going to spoil what, just happened on the last one, but it was, it was a, there was a big moment, man, big moment. Episode four of Loki, season two is one of the best episodes in Marvel TV in
Starting point is 00:35:32 quite a bit. One of the best things Marvel's done in quite a bit, in my opinion. And I wonder how you guys feel about it, those who have watched it. There's two episodes left and I'm so curious of where they're going to go. And the question is also, how is it going to mix into everything? because, I mean, again, the Marvels are, it's a couple of weeks away. And I wonder by the time that, by the time Loki ends, I think it'll go right into the Marvels, right?
Starting point is 00:36:03 I believe so. I think that was obviously done on purpose. Thursday the 2nd, yeah, yep, Thursday the 2nd is episode 5 and then the 9th is a season finale and then Marvels comes out the next day or the day up. So that was probably calculated, I would assume. So I wonder, I mean, Koi had made a prediction that, again, you can watch the episode. I don't want to ruin a moment for you, but just something that happens in Loki that it's going to actually tie in to the marvels. And he had his own theory about it.
Starting point is 00:36:37 So I wonder if that's going to actually come to play. And if it will be confusing to people, if that is indeed the case. So we're not too far away from it. It's right around the corner, man. So a lot of cool suggestions. I was talking about certain things I'm going to be doing on the channel. And I saw somebody who got it. And I haven't seen a lot of complaints about it.
Starting point is 00:37:01 So I won't say too much about the counter to this. But I saw as we were doing the pizza reviews and I said, this guy wrote this. He said, essentially, if anybody complains about you doing the pizza reviews, because it's not movie related content, it doesn't say Christian Harlov does movies. It just says a Christian Harleff Jam. So you can do whatever the hell you want because it's, it's just, it's you doing stuff. A lot of it, a lot of you guys know me from doing movies and that kind of stuff. But I'm, and I did another poll because I always like to ask, I think that is crucial as a
Starting point is 00:37:34 creator in the space, no matter what you do, whether you're on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, whatever you are. I think that it is crucial to understand your audience and what your audience likes. I always do these polls on the community page. I always do the thing where I'm like, well, let me ask you. I was going to do something. I think people thought I meant stopping doing the big thing. That's not what I meant at all. I said, if you wanted to see more stuff on this channel, would you rather see more short form content, more shorter videos more so in like the short form is like the 59 seconds and under. The shorter videos is like five to 15 minutes.
Starting point is 00:38:10 I said more UFO stuff or more pizza stuff. Um, so the resounding answer was the five to 15 minute video stuff, which I was happy about because it's ultimately what I'm planning on doing. I have more ideas. I have, I have a few ideas of little things that I want to try, a couple little segments that I want to try things that I've been playing with. I talked about it last week. I want to do a video of like, how to, how to start a movie, a movie content YouTube channel. And just my years of doing this, I could be helpful to someone. And, and, incorporate the stuff that I've learned over the years, especially over the last year alone,
Starting point is 00:38:47 I hope that can be helpful to people. So maybe that's something. Another idea is something I want to do with Koi. I'm waiting for that turd to write me back because I asked them to maybe even call your friends turds and they don't write you back. It's probably why. Um, but I have ideas that stuff I want to do with other people. I have other ideas like five to 15 minute videos and see how they do, not replacing anything else, but just giving you guys kind of like certain tidbits and go, okay, there's a shorter thing. I can watch that because I know it's a commitment to do these types of shows, but that's why I hope when you're listening to it on the road, and you listen to the gym, you're listening to these certain things that we do. And it's why the
Starting point is 00:39:24 Monday is the live thing now. I've really been kind of finding my vibe with that because it's me and you and we're talking. We're talking. And then Tuesday's UAP, UFO, Wednesday's me and Mike. Thursday will be Roxy, me and Brett once Roxy's able to come back. Another reason I want this strike to be over. And then Friday's is the Capes and Cal's crew. So I think we got a good, a good rhythm. So we can do a couple other things. We'll see what you, what, what you have. All right. I'm going to do one more story. And before I even get to the story, I do want to tell you about two more of our wonderful sponsors, but please, if you're going to have any super chats, throw them in now
Starting point is 00:40:01 because we're going to get, we're going to get to it. But I'm going to tell you both about better help and AG1. This episode. So it is brought to you by Better Help. I've been drinking them now for it. It's got to be at least two years. I started drinking AG1. I think Brett Sheridan told me about it. So you can't mess around with this, man.

Starting point is 00:42:04 people go, yeah, I started doing AG1, and I love it. It gives me the energy that I need. Parents, I found new parents love this stuff, that everybody loves it. And not only for me that I replaced my multivitamin with AG1, because I was never the multivitamin guy, I would try it, and I was like, everyone's telling me, you got to do multivitamins, and I can't. I can't do that many vitamins. One scoop.
Starting point is 00:42:23 I put it on a water bottle. I put it in a zoo cup. I shake it up. I'm good to go. I recommended AG1 to everybody, my friends, my family, you guys, and it's worked out. It's great. I get energy. I get a pepom.

Starting point is 00:43:24 Been with both of those guys for a long time. So if you've been listening to this show, you know it. As I mentioned, thank you to all of our sponsors today. They're all available in the descriptions. And I always put them as the first comment. All right. Last story. And then we'll get into the questions.
Starting point is 00:43:38 So if you want to throw any questions in there now, throw them in and we will get to them. And by the way, the questions can be about anything. You want to know more stuff about the channel itself. If you want to know about if you have questions and things that you want to see us do, it doesn't, again, doesn't have to be movie related. It doesn't have to be. It can be whatever the hell you want. It's throw that in there.
Starting point is 00:44:00 That's the opportunity and the benefit of us doing these kind of town hall Q&As at the end of the show. But you can also throw in anything that you want about movies and TV. So we'll do that in just a moment. Last story, and that's about the box office, man. Freddie Sores, Moon fails. Box office breakdown. Garth Franklin, Dark Horizons, man. The box office in recent weeks has been seen as a success story overall,
Starting point is 00:44:30 even as it has shown a bit of a divide between titles that were hits and flops. Universal and Blumhouse's Five Nights at Freddy's is still on track for a record smashing 78 million this weekend domestically. And a further 52 million overseas. That's a hundred and 30 million worldwide start. It's a stunning figure. It only costs 25 million to make. It already made back its budget in deals prior to release. It's broken a bunch of records in the process, including the biggest opening ever for Blumhouse productions and the biggest horror opening weekend ever in the multiple international market.
Starting point is 00:45:03 Taylor Swift's Ares Tour concert film passed the 200 million mark at the worldwide box office, a first for a concert film and earned another 14.7 this third week. It easily took second place and again has been a highlight of the fall calendar for audiences. Unfortunately, things got more rocky after this point. Killers of the Flower Moon isn't resonating with audiences despite an A-minus cinema score in its second weekend. It's on track to fall for a 61% drop $9 million over the weekend. It'll sit at 40 million domestically and 88 million worldwide by the end of the week. That's not a good take with a $200 million budget.
Starting point is 00:45:41 After death opened in fourth this weekend, $5.9 million with a solid start, but in line with more regular faith-based titles as opposed to the breakout sound of freedom. Going by its $30 million budget, Exorcist, the Believers doing decent, with $59.5 million domestically and around as much again overseas in its fourth week. It's on track for another 3.3. this weekend and then the john sina freelance debuted at 2.1 million whews gate expendels four is already out of the top 10 and has seemingly ended its run with 16.1 domestic and 31 overseas not a good result for a 100 million dollar budget uh all right well
Starting point is 00:46:22 the big story here is five nights at freddie i started watching that movie it stinks but but i understand why it's doing well i get it it's like a based of a popular game. The start of it, I haven't finished yet. I got it. When I say it stinks, it's not, it doesn't stink in a way where I'm like, I don't want to watch this. I want to, I want to see how it ends. It's, it's, it's, I think it was it was the, it was double toasted, I think, double toast that I think double toast that was talking about five nights of Freddie and they're talking about like, the animatronics just aren't. They, they look creepy. So right away, of course they're creepy. It's like the, it should be, they should almost
Starting point is 00:46:58 look, Chuck. I mean, look at Chuck. Look at Chuck. Look at Chuck. Where is he? Hold on. go here chuck just spill shit oh no chuck you get the fuck over here come on you a fucking fat ass sitting around all right there is like chucky chucky for the most part
Starting point is 00:47:16 come here motherfucker chucky is like you know when this guy comes after you you're upset about it because he looks you know he doesn't look like he should this the whole point serial killer
Starting point is 00:47:30 jumped into his last and that's it. He's not going to be excited when I do this. So when you have the creepy animatronics like that, he just knew they're going to be creepy anyway. I don't know. But the other thing I mentioned in that article, that is it also was released on Peacock the same day.
Starting point is 00:47:57 So studios, I think Koi said this the other day. Studios are going to go, well, wait a minute. maybe this works after all. And I think that that's silly if they do feel that way because this was something to watch for the holiday season. This was something to watch based off a popular game and it was something to watch during the Halloween season. So they should not be confused and start thinking that they should do more of that. That would be a recipe for disaster. And this is coming from somebody who was a big advocate of it only because of my own laziness that I didn't want to get out of the damn house.
Starting point is 00:48:35 And I don't. I just, and less laziness and more tired. So it's just not a good business model. I don't think overall. I don't know. Again, that's right. Someone said in the comment right here, I can pull it up. I don't see the movie having legs.
Starting point is 00:48:55 It's a great point. What kind of legs can it have? It's already made its money back. But the drop off will probably be big girl. Well, it'll probably do okay over the next couple of days, right? But it's got this weekend to really make its move. And then the Marvels comes out and it's over. Making it PG-13 was very smart.
Starting point is 00:49:16 It was very smart. The movie's a massive hit. It's a massive hit. It doesn't matter. Even if I finish it and say this is, you know, one of the worst movies ever. I don't say that. But even if I did, who cares? They don't give a shit at this point.
Starting point is 00:49:29 and it costs $25 million. I think we're going to start seeing it. I really would love to see the big budgeted movies start to no more of these two. Like, Killers of the Flower Moon. I like the movie. I like it a lot. I see a lot of people now kind of turning on it and everything too. I like the movie.
Starting point is 00:49:45 I think it's a really, really great movie. I really do. It's a great movie. It's a long movie. And should it have been three and a half hours? Probably not. That's not going to help you to get your $200 million back. That's not going to help number one.
Starting point is 00:50:02 There's a lot of other things kind of added into it. But like after week one, man, all the Scorsese peeps went and saw it. And that's it. And if it is not a raving, everyone needs to see this at three and a half hours. If everybody's not saying that, the dip's going to come. 68% or whatever it was. The other thing I saw right before it went on is I guess Joe Russo took a shot at Martin Scorsese.
Starting point is 00:50:31 I guess Martin Scorsese had this thing with his dog, and he, and he, his dog's name is Oscar or whatever it was. And then Russo took a shot at him and said, oh, he's got a corgi, whatever,
Starting point is 00:50:41 whatever dog is. Let's say it's a corgi. He's got a corgi. He named him, Oscar. He's like, give me a box office. It's a lame joke.
Starting point is 00:50:50 People all losing their minds. What are you going out to Scorsese? Who cares? Because he said enough about Marvel films. The joke wasn't very. funny. Who cares? God, everybody's so touchy. Who cares? It's like, what did you just go say they're following? Who cares? Go have a sandwich. Who cares? It's so silly. I don't get it. Maybe we get so upset with everybody about everything.
Starting point is 00:51:20 He made a bad joke. I made a bad joke the other day too. My wife said, my wife said, something like, yeah, well, I got to do that because otherwise it wouldn't have my duty. And of course I made a duty joke. And I laughed at it for 45 seconds because it was terrible. She just looked at me disappointingly and walked out of the room. And she didn't tweet about it. Who cares? Bad joke.
Starting point is 00:51:48 We get offended with everything. It's why everyone wants to make a statement. Eat a sandwich. Let's get to some questions. Shall we do that? Like I said, if you want to put your questions in, then do it now. And I will answer whatever the hell you got.
Starting point is 00:52:12 Well, you got me. Why you got me here, I'll answer your stuff. We'll do the dance. Tell you a duty joke. Duty. What's the first one I came in? Mike Joyce. Oh, I saw Mike Joyce also say,
Starting point is 00:52:25 when I mentioned the people that are, how the shows work, and I forgot Steph. Yeah, when the strikes over, Steph will be back as well, too. How can I forget Steph? Mike Joyce,
Starting point is 00:52:35 Matthew Perry's death was the first celebrity death that made me really sad. Do you remember the first celebrity death that hit you really hard? I mean, there's been a few, but Robin Williams is the first one
Starting point is 00:52:43 or the only one still of this day I probably shed a tear on because I had an opportunity to meet Robin Williams once. Very nice guy. I was at the comedy store. It was in awe of him. But Robin Williams,
Starting point is 00:52:54 I always felt like, I don't know why. I think everybody felt this way, but he was like, I always feel like he was my uncle or something. I always felt like I just grew up with him. I grew up with all his movies. I mean,
Starting point is 00:53:03 like I just watched everything he did. I watched all a stand-up. I read everything. There's a major inspiration for stand-up. And it's like, and then again, when Jamie Costa did his whole, did that whole scene,
Starting point is 00:53:19 he brought him back to life for like, whatever the hell over the long that was, 10 minutes, whatever it was. And yeah, that one, that one got me. I think that I'm not,
Starting point is 00:53:28 I don't share that. I mean, I think I share that with tons of people. So, but that was, that was probably the first one. But I understand why a lot of people are really broken up, I'm on Matthew Perry. I mean, you spent a lot of time with the guy over 10 years,
Starting point is 00:53:39 you know, a lot of those, that show was massive. Elipsis, 10. Why would Apple release Killers of the Fireroom a three and a half hour movie during the actor strike in the middle of October? Is it just for Oscar consideration?
Starting point is 00:53:54 Yes. Um, it is. But it's also about, calculation meaning if the strike ends let's say tomorrow right they'd have to rush out and put it out you're talking about just this year yeah it's it's definitely Oscar consideration that's a definite now if you're talking about this year it's like playing a crapshoot of when it was supposed to come out let just go through because also it's going to make money as much money
Starting point is 00:54:25 as it can in the theater and then it's really about all the the apple release itself on apple on the apple app but you know they want to make sure what happens if if the strike ends and then they got to what they got to compete with the marvels they got to compete with hunger games they got to compete with all the bigger the bigger movies coming out that people are going to go to traditionally go to movies for now because they go for the big kind of event stuff and that movie and five five nights of freddie pretty much just ripped in to it because that's the kind of movies people are going to see you during the holiday, right? So they're in kind of like a lose-lose as far as the release goes unless like you're,
Starting point is 00:55:05 if you're intinuating why put it out at all this year and you answered your own question, and that's for that's for Oscar buzz. Again, thank you to everybody who's putting in these super chats. Much appreciated. Now, this is a big one. Simon, this is huge. And I thank you so much for the generous donation, 4999. Regarding the Tyson v. Nagano fight decision controversy,
Starting point is 00:55:28 do you think that there is a Creed 4 in the spirit of Rocky 4 in this climate? Do you think Creed's next appointment will have an anti-Israel beliefs who identify themselves as a helicopter? I think that was a, I think he baited me into reading that one. But thanks for the donation. Okay, let's see. Next one. Simon, usually pretty, you're better than that, Simon.
Starting point is 00:55:56 All right, let's see. There he goes. You put in some stuff. I can't, when it gets into everything, I can't make, again, as you know what I'm talking about making light of,
Starting point is 00:56:10 uh, this, what's going on in the world right now. That's, that's a tough one. Uh, Wicked Art. Hey,
Starting point is 00:56:16 Christian, show and support. Thank you, man. Do I need to switch from the website to Patreon about, uh, and I have always loved South Park for taking shots at everyone. So yes,
Starting point is 00:56:25 on November 1. If you are part, I mean, so Wicked Art is one of the one-on-one, sessions that we do. So I would suggest so you don't get charged today for that. And then we already, we were already done the one-on-one session for this month.
Starting point is 00:56:41 I would wait until tomorrow. No, that's a lie. Wednesday. Sign up on Wednesday. So you don't lose your spot. And then transfer over that day because the website is going to be, we're shutting those site down completely. So the just Patreon is just going to cover everything.
Starting point is 00:56:59 And yeah, South Park, they take shots at everybody they go after everyone and after tom crew i mean they're going to have to everybody everybody all right sean peters as an east coaster i love to hear that you're potentially coming back let me know if you need help filling an east coast crew or need a new jersey pizza spot all of that so yeah the goal is and people people were like you know when i said the goal is to something is next year to get to new york right and there will be it is kind of a a mix of all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:57:31 This won't be affected, except the fact they probably won't be using Streamyard anymore. I'll probably going to use a different program for if I'm going to do shows, because I want to make sure that the crew of Winston and Coy and everybody else that we, everyone that we have are still able to be part of the show that we're able to, that way use a technology that you don't even, you can't even tell that they're not in studio.
Starting point is 00:57:52 That's what, that's what I want to do because Streamyard, you can just tell it looks. When you stream yard shows, when the two little boxes and everything, It just feels, but I want to go back and forth. I mean, the same way that, like, news shows do and sports shows do that way. I also am going to build a New York crew out as well, too.
Starting point is 00:58:08 So there will be people for people who are like, well, you're not going to do in studio shows knows the best. What do you think I'm going to do? I'm going to build out of studio in New York. And I'm also going to be doing all my out of the theater reactions. Nothing's really going to change. And everybody who you like is still going to be part of it. And it's going to be new people that you'll, remember, you didn't know who the hell Brett was.
Starting point is 00:58:27 you didn't know who Roxy was on my show. If you were watching me and then you found, then you didn't, I mean, you didn't know a lot of these people. Maybe you followed some of them from other things, but if you were watching me for a bit and then I introduced them to you, you didn't know them at first.
Starting point is 00:58:45 And it was the same thing. I'm going to introduce you to some new people. Plus, none of the other people are leaving. They're all going to be part of it. We already talked about it. They're all going to be part of it. We're going to be doing a lot of great stuff and new things.
Starting point is 00:58:55 And so it'll be great. And then yeah, definitely going to need some jersey spots also because I'll probably take, because Frank will probably come into town. Like I said, once we get to a certain work, I think we're at once we get to 1,500 patrons, we're going to travel to either Chicago or New York for a weekend to do spots. But that's again, as as it builds. And by that time, we'll probably be there. Again, thank you to everybody who's been putting in the super chats.
Starting point is 00:59:21 Still going through them. Maybe we're coming to the end. I don't know. I'm double checking. that might be it let's see i'm scrolling through scrolling scrolling scrolling scrolling and if i see any more come in i'll bring them up but maybe that's it let's see hold on maybe there's another one but yeah thank oh there's another one here lloyd hey bro we love your reactions keep them coming thank you lloy i appreciate that we're
Starting point is 00:59:49 doing um i'm i'm probably going to finish up the loki ones i know that i was i was a little like i was a little discouraged in general with when I was doing full reactions on things because the Osoka one did well. And I was like, okay, and the one piece did well. It's like, okay, maybe I'll start doing these. And the Loki just didn't do as well. And someone said in one of the comments that they like my reviews better because they can see me kind of analyze it a little bit more.
Starting point is 01:00:13 And that's kind of what I've been known for over the years. So maybe I stick to that. So that's a possibility. But I appreciate you saying that. Very nice. I'm glad that you're enjoying them. Uh, okay, let's see. Next one.
Starting point is 01:00:29 There's another one. Okay, great. Troll magadone. Do you think the overly sensitive shift in society is the reason that there is barely any good comedy movies coming out? The Swirlers Trash for Creativity. I think that comedy movies are definitely more scared to take shots. Um, I watched Bill Burr's movie.
Starting point is 01:00:53 That was hilarious. I thought it was hilarious. And it was exactly what I thought. One side thought it was funny. The other side didn't think it was funny because he was going after this. He was going after that. I'm like, have you ever watched the guy's stuff? And have you listened to the overall of what he's saying throughout it?
Starting point is 01:01:12 And it's like, I found the movie be very funny. And that was one of the first comedies I've seen in a while that didn't hold back and just was a comedy with. the same type of comedy you'd see in his stand-up. So, but yes, I do think that that people are, well, there's two reasons. One, I think that people pull back on certain jokes as they're worried about offending people and don't want to get shut down. That's part one. Part two is I think that streaming has also changed people's want to go and see
Starting point is 01:01:45 comedies in the theater, which is also a bummer, but that's one of the main reasons. Okay, still going through it. There's more coming. Hold on, guys. I see another one. Thank you again for everybody who's sending them in. It's really, really, really helpful. All right.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Ed and Askell, did you seek spendables for ended his box office run with $56 million worldwide on $100 million? Budget 1st May 27, 274, second made 315 and third, 215. Yeah, I think this is the same thing, man. I think that the box office, the need for that, you had a short window, the idea the people who the people who really wanted to see those movies like us, right, going, oh, the idea of seeing like Stallone and Arnold together and Stallone and Bruce Willis makes a cameo and Van Dam shows up. That itch was scratched, right?
Starting point is 01:02:41 And it was scratched for a couple times and they tried to do it again, and especially with all the streaming stuff, they went to the well too many times. They just went to the well too many times. And Stallone's turning out better quality stuff with like, Tulsa King and and then he had the other, what was he the other one that he had on too? He's got he just has better stuff coming out that it's not it's just that's not something people want to pay for now. So I'm not surprised.
Starting point is 01:03:08 And plus it wasn't good from what I hear. I didn't see it yet. But I also heard it wasn't good. So it doesn't surprise me. I think they just went to the well way too many times. Simon all non-political jokes about Creed 4. Creed as an MMA fighter that's different. thought you'd recognize the 80s tv shows um i kind of went through them fast too uh but air wolf i
Starting point is 01:03:30 i therefore recognized um yeah look i think that they're gonna there's a comic book out by boom about his daughter and it was produced by michael b jordan so i think that the next one they're gonna do is his daughter as the fighter if they're gonna do it i think creed is pretty much done i mean he was done in the third one so i don't think he's gonna fight anymore even though i don't know if that's the best move. Or maybe he's got to fight one more time after his daughter does or something happens with his daughter. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:04:04 But I don't think they're going to go into MMA with it. The next MMA movie they're really going to do is the remake of Roadhouse. Jake Jillenhall already filmed the shots of the way that they're going to play into this. So very curious to see how that pans out. Okay. Still coming in, guys. Thank you so much. They keep coming.
Starting point is 01:04:24 to keep answering. I'll stay here. Like I said, I'll stay on for as long as you guys want me on. Don Reynolds, Ms. Whiskey, just wanted to send support. I'm loving the show and enjoying the chat. Well, thank you, Don. I appreciate it. I mean, that's kind of the goal on the Monday shows. Mondays shows to me are kind of like almost like the old school kind of radio vibe that I've always wanted to do. It's like you do a show. It's like, you do me talking to you guys. Give you the opportunity to if you want to ask any questions by the end of it, but don't. I was, it took me so forever to figure it out, like even when I was doing S. live. I would do, I would be doing the live chat and I'd be paying attention to live chat and pulling
Starting point is 01:04:58 out the super chats and listening and the robot would come in and it was just a mess. And that was, that was on me as I was learning it. And now it's like, okay, well, wait a minute. Do the topics, do the big thing episode, go live, talk to the audience and then you give the opportunity to ask whatever they want at the end and we get some more topics out of it and that's all she wrote. And it's been working out so far. So thank you and thank you for the support. Very, very kind. Alex Tourney. Hey, Christian, can you rank Killers of the Flower Moon on the Scraese list of films or you'll need a rewatch?
Starting point is 01:05:31 Asking me, as you mentioned, that you may not rewatch it. The only reason I'm probably going to rewatch it is because I know it's coming out on Apple and my wife's going to watch it. And I'm like, okay, I'll watch it with you because plus I don't really want it to go through that alone. It's emotional. So I'll probably watch it again. And I would probably have to rewatch it. I don't think it'll crack my top five.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Wolf of Wall, Street is probably my number one with Goodfellas at two. I know that casino and Raging Bull are in there. Yeah, but I, this wouldn't, this wouldn't be, this wouldn't be, it wouldn't crack my five. I'd have to look at it again, but it wouldn't crack my five. I really enjoyed it, though, a lot. I really did. Um, but yeah, thank you. I have to, I definitely have to watch it before I do a ranking for sure again more of them coming in thank you guys i appreciate it i've seen another one kind of come in right now and it's a big one oh jonathan peck where are you been holy molly talking about old school jonathan peck haven't seen this guy in forever john the peck's old school schmo's guy
Starting point is 01:06:42 nice to see you and thank you for the kind uh the kind donation john speaking of comedy what are your thoughts on no heart feelings i thought it was hilarious to piggyback on the comedy question from earlier, do you think it had to do with an age issue, people growing up? I don't know. Let me answer the first part, because I don't know if I get the second part yet, but the first part, speaking of comedy, what's your thoughts and no hard feelings. My wife and I keep scrolling over and about to hit the play button, and we didn't. We watched the other one instead.
Starting point is 01:07:14 We watched the one with Emily Blunt and Chris Evans. So I don't have an opinion on it yet. My dad called me and said he got a kick out of it. So to piggyback off the comedy question from earlier, oh, I got it. Do you think it had to do with an age issue with people growing up? Maybe, maybe in the same way that there was this poll recently that there's the younger generation now wants less sex in movies and this and that. It's like in the 80s, we wanted more every five seconds. Give us more.
Starting point is 01:07:44 I guess maybe because it's so accessible to everything you can do now with the internet. But it's like, maybe. it very well might be that comedy when it comes especially for comedy clubs right like i remember when i was going up seven nights a week two shows a night it was all like at the time i was in like my late 20s to my mid 30s and or early 20s to my mid 30s and there were usually people around my age they were in there watching the show and they were in the same generation So they got it. This is a joke that I used to do that I thought about bringing back when I was doing stand-up again.
Starting point is 01:08:28 And I had to rewrite the whole thing. If you guys saw in New York when I did, I did this joke about like Subway and like the Mad Hatter. Joke was very different. I wouldn't, I wouldn't be able to get away with it today. And it was one of my biggest jokes. Got away with everything. No one ever said anything about it. Anything.
Starting point is 01:08:45 But today. And there's another joke I do that I'm probably going to do. we're doing a show at Flappers on December 2nd. And I'm probably going to do it. And someone's going to have a problem with it. But I don't care because I'm going to do it in a different way. And if somebody gets offended, they get offended. But you got to go in with that mentality, I think, too.
Starting point is 01:09:03 But yes, I do. I think it's generational. Absolutely think it's generational. Thank you so much. Good to see you again, my friend. Thank you, Jonathan. And I think that might be anything that. No, it's not it.
Starting point is 01:09:15 Lloyd. Michael B. Jordan was awesome in Tom Clancy's Without Remorse. You know, I saw, he was good in the movie. I didn't love the movie, though, because I had the book. The book was significantly different, but he was good. He was good in that. There's, there's no doubt about it. Is that it?
Starting point is 01:09:33 I think that's it, guys. I feel like that's it. That's pretty great. You guys were fantastic today. So thank you to everybody who, let me double check this. See one more up there. No, that was the one. That was the one.
Starting point is 01:09:44 Um, okay. Well, very, very, very, very, very kind of all of you. I appreciate it. I'll get one of your sponsors. Great. Links are in the description. If you can do any of that, any of it, that's super helpful. It helps get the word out about the show as we keep building. I'm going to keep in the spirit of friends. One of my strengths has always been to pivot, pivot, pivot, and I will be pivoting. I will be pivoting, not away from the stuff that you know, but continuing and adding new things, new segments. If you like the UFO stuff, well, you got it. You like the pizza stuff? You got that. You like new stuff. Well, then we're going to try that also. We got a lot of new things. Things we're messing
Starting point is 01:11:14 with, things we're toying with. And some will hit. Some won't. But I know that you guys are with me, with me, with me. I know you're with me. So as always, I appreciate the comments. I appreciate the feedback. And that's it. So we will be back here live definitely, I think, on Monday, next Monday. Potential. Potential. Potential. that I'll be back live on Thursday with Brett. We've been going live the two of us when Roxy's not on and I might still do that on Thursday. I don't know yet. So make sure you have your notifications on just in case. All right. So thank you again. If you're able to, make sure you head over to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, anywhere podcasts are found.
