The Kristian Harloff Show - Star Wars Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson says the new series will debut in the fall?!
Episode Date: February 27, 2023Ahsoka is one of the highly anticpated series releasing this year on Disney Plus. It is supposed to be one of the three series that is coming out. It was rumored that it would be The Mandalorian Seaso...n 3 first, then Ahsoka and then Skeleton Crew in the fall. Most thought Ahsoka would release somewhere in late August. Rosario Dawson stated in an interview that this might not be the case and that we might see the former jedi in fall instead of summer. True? False? Star Wars Celebration is coming up soon and we already know the date for the next one after this one concludes. The Mandalorian Season 3 is right aroun the corner and some new posters were revealed. What's going on, everybody? Welcome back. We're welcome to. It's Sith Council live. Why am I doing it live?
Your guess is as good as mine. Um, no, it was this week, this whole entire wheel, a lot of really fun stuff happening.
And then I was like, you know, I think today I'm going to try to do something. And again, even if you've tuned into it, you probably saw me setting up and doing all that.
I'm trying to figure out, I'm doing, I was talking to someone yesterday. I'm doing like everything now, as far as the, uh, the switching. We just did it in.
interview yesterday myself and Perry had something, um, had a great opportunity to interview
Cleopatra Coleman who came in. And we, we had this interview, but I'm like here switching
everything, interviewing and it's great and it's fun. I've learned a lot from it, but it's a lot, you know,
so I was like, you know, in order to give myself some more stress, why don't I try to do live?
That would make sense. And I normally always do the Sith Council questions,
through community and Facebook and all that.
And I was like, you know, I'm going to cover the topics today.
And there's a lot.
As you saw in the thumbnail, Asoka herself, Osirio Dawson, she's, I love her to death,
but if I'm Dave Filoni, I don't want her to do interviews because she reveals something
every time she does.
And apparently she says that they're going to be releasing Asoka in the,
the fall, which is very interesting because it starts to lead into questions of where does
skeleton crew go?
Where to, I mean, how does it all play out?
Do they push skeleton crew?
Are they only getting two series?
I don't know.
We'll talk about that more.
Speaking of Asoka, Dave Faloni talked a little bit more about the character in general and how
that was going to work and have more hinting towards it.
But the Mandalorian is the one that's right around the corner.
It's on, it's next week.
and the Mandalorian is going to,
today they released some posters of obviously Dinn and Grogu,
but of Carl Weathers himself as grief
and our good buddy Katie Sackoff as Boca Tan.
Speaking of Katie, this Monday,
full episode about an hour, a little over an hour
with myself, her, and Brett,
which is you can only imagine.
The three of us talked for a while about Mandalorian
and a few other things, so that'll be up on Monday.
and then I'm going to have my first reaction to the mandolary
and I'm going to a screening of it on Tuesday night
so I'll be able to kind of get the early word out to you guys
on the first one or two episodes.
I don't know, sometimes they screen two,
but we'll just say one for sure.
And then Star Wars Celebration, by the way,
which is we covered at death
and we'll be covering more soon.
And it was funny because Mike and I talked about it last week
about if they thought they were going to do movies
and talk about movies.
And then what was it?
I think like the next day they said that there's a report coming out that they're obviously going to.
Well, coupling up to that, they also have a release date of 2025 for the next celebration.
So we'll get into that.
Yeah.
So hold on.
I'm confused.
No.
No.
Bruce Crawford says, I thought we all thought, Sooka was coming in late 2023.
No.
The report was July, August.
And then late 2023 was, um,
it was skeleton crew.
That at least was the way it was kind of presented at the previous celebrations.
But anyway, that more on today's show.
So as I said, I'm going to be doing this live.
And the way I'm going to be doing is similar to how I do other live streams.
So what I'm going to do first and foremost is I want to check this out.
This is what I'm going to do.
This is my, this is how I'm going to, oh, that's perfect.
That's exactly what I didn't want.
But that, that's what I want.
So I'm going to just refresh this and see.
And that way I want to make sure that I don't lose any superchats or any of that.
And it looks, okay, good.
I did.
I'm getting them here.
Right?
Perfect.
Okay.
So then as I said, what I will be doing this entire episode is going through these topics.
And as you guys put in the chats and the super chats, we will go through them.
If there's a ton of questions, we'll be here for a while.
If there's not, just as good.
Up to you guys.
It really is up to you guys.
If you just want to hear me rattle off the topics today and that's it, then that's fine as well.
January was slower in general for everybody, I think, in this space.
But February has been really, it's been good.
It's been a nice, I really got to tell you how appreciative of all of you I am and how it's been, you know, like we really have, have.
Oh, good.
He's here.
See? I told you, it would be live, and the leafblower would be here.
And guess what?
If you think that the leafblower didn't show up during Katie Sackoff's interview,
you're out of your mind.
Of course you did.
Might as well have been sitting on the Top Gun pillow over there.
And if you like Top Gun pillows, then you should go to the merch store.
That's a transition.
Sith Council, baby, we're almost, I'll tell you,
I think that because it's a Sith Council, I'll hawk this even more so.
if you're a Sith Council big thing fan
get this shirt get
some of the Sith merch because I think the Sith is going to be the first one
to sell over a hundred of these
we're close so hopefully you guys can do that
Apple Podcast Spotify we're on video on Spotify

I saw someone mentioned in the comments.
We're doing a Q&A, a special Q&A for Patreon.
That's today.
I hope you join.
People always ask if you want to how you want to support the show.
Patreon.com slash the Big Thing Show.
We have a really fun little exclusive group over there,
and I hope that you guys will join us because it's a lot of fun.
All right.
Long intro, but nonetheless, it was still an intro.
Let's get into it, everybody.
It's Sith Council.
Ready? I'm ready. Let's do it.
What's up, everybody?
Sith Council, we're back.
We're back.
I love it.
Cool.
I have my nudes in shot?
Do I? Nice.
Good.
Perfect.
What does that mean?
Not this time.
Anyway.
So, oh, I love that.
Ronan Unchance says he's going to buy a Sith Council shirt and take it a
Cith celebration.
Please.
So bad.
I'm so bummed that I'm not going to be at something.
celebration this year.
Really trying to get Steph there.
So hopefully you guys can say hi to her.
I'll learn.
I'll have more information on that.
A couple of different reasons why I'm going to cinema con this year for the first time ever, which is bizarre.
That I've never covered cinema con before.
So that was one reason.
Another reason I have a bunch of weddings right around that area also.
Noodles is noodles.
I still don't get it.
Sorry.
Oh, I get it.
Okay, thank you, Andrew.
Appreciate that.
Yeah, but nudes, too.
Nudes are in shot.
Everybody always freaks out about that.
Oh, my God.
What's on my computer?
What am I showing on the computer?
Friken wookie mask or something.
A bowl of oatmeal in the back.
That's what that is.
It's a bowl of oatmeal.
I haven't eaten it.
Nothing.
Amazing.
Let's get into some of these topics, shall we?
First thing we'll see is you guys going to wind up seeing those
freaking questions again.
But here we go.
Oh, good.
stupid face.
Let's start.
Let's start with this topic, man.
This possibility of Rosario Dawson talking about a fall 2023 release for Asoka.
This is from Star Wars NewsNet and our good buddy Miguel Fernandez.
I love Miguel.
He's such a nice guy.
It's really a nice dude.
DM with him quite often and we just kind of, he's just a massive fan.
You can tell from his writing.
I don't know if you guys, you know, are reading enough of Miguel's articles over Star Wars News,
but show him some love. He's really great. I'm a big fan of him. Anyway, so he writes,
we've known for some time that Asoka's coming out this year, but little else is known about exactly
when in an interview with today, when asked about what's coming up next for her, Rosario Dawson
revealed that she believes the upcoming live action Star Wars series, Asoka will come out on Disney
Plus this fall. And this is what she said. Asoka, yeah, well, that's probably going to come out
in fall. There you go. We're going to have Haunted Mansion come out in August first,
and I just did some beautiful Disney plus commercial voiceover,
and I'm like, have I just become a Disney princess?
Princess.
Now, if there's one thing that we've learned over the past year and a half,
Star Wars news coverage is never to trust the actress.
He's not wrong about this, because listen to the examples that he gives.
Azario Dawson and Tamara Morrison.
Morrison hinted that we were going to see Ewox in Book of Bobafet.
He also said we're going to get flashbacks to Empire Strikes Back in that show.
Dawson also said that Minamussad had been casted as a rebrand.
Bridger and, yeah, and John Carlo Esposito said in a similar interview that we'd be getting
the Mandalorian season three in the summer when filming had wrapped a few days earlier.
So she might be in the know, though, says Miguel, because of the haunted mansion window
she talked about.
There's a lot about that.
And we're definitely going to get some news about Star Wars Celebration, at Star Wars Celebration
about Asoka.
I mean, we have to, right?
And I'm just wondering, though, I'm just wondering, like, what in the world, how in the
world. It brings me to like the Bob Iger of it all because I know that with Marvel they pulled back
a little bit. But a Marvel also had something coming out every other Tuesday. And so there was just so
much of it that is becoming a little overwhelming. Star Wars not as much. And maybe it's because
I don't know. I don't know how this is going to work because do you think they're going to push
skeleton crew?
I mean, they could.
They could.
They could push it.
And then,
because right now,
what,
there's not confirmed,
but there's two series
coming out in
2024.
And those two series
are,
that are not confirmed
that we think,
are Ackoly,
which is confirmed,
I guess,
and then,
and or season two,
which we assume
will be late 2024.
If they,
skeleton crew could do
what other shows have done in the past.
If they, let's say that they put,
I mean, even late August is still,
it's not fall yet,
but I guess it's venturing into it.
So if it hits in September,
and it's, see, September,
and it would go right until the end of December,
and then what,
they just put Skeleton Crew right afterwards?
Or do we find out at Star Wars Celebration
that they're going to push Skeleton Crew
to early January, February,
like they're doing Mando
and then they push Ackleid into like the summer
and then give Andor the late side.
I'm so
curious. I'm so curious.
What do you guys think? I see that there are super chats coming in.
Like I said, I'm going to stay here for as long as you guys.
I never, if they come in, I'll be here for a while.
So do not worry.
I'm not going to like, oh, you missed my stuff.
went through and I made sure that I'm going as I as I can with with one person here but I'm
trying to make it work. Yeah, I have a lot of different things that I'm trying to do here today.
So thank you so much for being here. But I'm so curious to get your guys thoughts on it and how what
you think it's going to what you think it's going to do. Like do you do you think that they're
going to because I think that this Thrawn event is a thing. But they're placing it kind of I don't
No, I'm so confused.
This was confusing, but again, I think Miguel hits it on the head where,
let's see what the actual announcement is once Filoni comes out and says something, right?
Let's see.
And speaking of Faloni, there's some more news with Asoka and what he was talking about.
I don't know where he was, but I know they're doing a lot of interviews, obviously,
for Mandalorian right now, so that's probably where they asked them.
Let's see if I can find the actual thing itself.
Can you guys hear the, the, the, the,
Our good buddy, can you hear him?
I don't know.
I'm not sure.
Where did that article go?
It was a big article about Flonian.
Now, you got to be able to hear this, right?
You got to.
Absolutely.
Come on.
Do you hear him out there screaming?
Not sure.
Great.
I'm going to see cocaine bear tonight, by the way.
Should have a social reaction on that.
So, we'll see.
You don't think that that, why don't I let go of that Thronov?
Why? You don't think that they're setting up for that?
It seems like. And they also said it in general that
Kathleen Kennedy had said that in 2020
that there was this big crossover event, not necessarily hinting
a throng, but that's what it seemed. So you guys have heard the leafblower.
Good. I'm glad. I should interview him for like four hours.
Just bring him in. I have a fallen conversation.
And before we move on to the next story, which I got,
They, you know, I did this live event with Greg Alba and Campi
at Flappers and we sold a place out.
We're doing the big thing at Flappers.
I think we're going to do it either at the end of March sometime in April,
and then we're going to do New York and June.
Those are pretty much set in stone.
So I hope that I see a lot of you guys out there.
We will be live streaming both of them.
So then that'll be, I'm setting up a website and doing all this stuff too,
so you guys will have access to it.
and all that.
So just a heads up.
But I think that for the L.A. event,
we're going to have a lot of the crew there.
So I'm thinking depending on when it lands,
if we're still in Mandalorian,
I probably have Mike and Steph on stage with me at one point.
And it just depends on where we are in the season.
It's the beauty being able to mix and match the crew.
But it's going to be a lot of stand-up from,
Koi's going to do stand-up,
Winston's going to do stand-up,
myself, Brett, Kate.
I think Jen Sturger's going to come in and do some.
So it's going to be a lot of fun.
So I hope that I hope we see you guys there.
All right, before we move on, I do want to tell you guys, as I always do, people always ask.
We have a lot of different sponsors here and ones.
And I saw this, I saw this comment the other day, someone who's a fan of the show.
And I'm not going to give him the troll voice because it doesn't deserve it.
He's someone who watches the show all the time.
And he said, hey, man, listen, sometimes I got to talk to you about your sponsors.
It's like you're enthusiastically selling all your sponsors.
Well, yeah.
because I only take sponsors that we like and that we think work well for the audience.
And that's why Magic Mind fits in the way that it does.
I'm telling you, man, like I have, I don't know.
So the first time we had Magic Mind, it was during S-E-N.
And Brett had, Brett was the one that was using it.
He was raving about it.
And I hadn't had a chance to try it.
And they reached out to me.
And I said, look, yeah, I have, I have problems with the, a lot of times kind of procrastination.
and my mind goes all over the place.
And my biggest problem is I focus on 7,000 things at once.
And they're like, give us a shot.
And I said, well, I've got to try it first before I start telling the audience about it
because that's just not what I do.
I want to make sure that I really like it.
And if I don't like it, I got to be honest with you guys.
And I tried it.
And I found myself focusing.
And I found myself more so.
And a couple times before I went to, I get tired at the,
you know, the end of the day when I'm trying to work,
and I'm like, and I'm all over the place.
And I've been able to just kind of focus a little bit more.
It's just been, it's had about three days, three or four days.
I think that when I really started seeing the effects of it,
you just do like kind of one shot of it.
It's pretty good too.
Anyway, so if you want to check it out,
it's the links in the description, it's Magic Mind,
and you can use my code, Christian 20,
to get 43% off your first subscription in the next 10 days.
Go to Magicmind.com slash Christian and use that code, Christian 20, to get, yeah, 43% off.
Take a look, you know, you can browse around.
You can see it.
Do it for yourself.
And, you know, I tell you stuff that I like.
And if you like it, wonderful.
If not, understood.
All right.
let's keep moving.
Let's talk about this Asoka thing,
because I want to,
not the one that we just talked about, obviously,
but the one with Dave Filoni.
Now, Filoni,
here she is again,
but this time is Flonny talking about it.
And so this was something that they hinted on.
And the article, again, from Star Wars Newsnet,
and this one is from R.S. Lubin,
who writes, has, this is editorial piece.
which I thought is interesting.
Has Dave Filoni already given hints to what Asoka may be like in her series?
So they break it down a little bit.
He says Dave Filoni likes to doodle.
Actors and other collaborators have noted this many times.
On rare occasions, he shares these doodles with fans on social media.
Are these sketches subtle hints or future content or just random ones?
I personally think it's reasonable that there are glimpses into the conceptualizing of what we might see in Assoc.
I'm going to put one of these in here because I didn't get a chance.
I'm going to, here's you guys are going to see this actual art that he's.
posted, which I think is pretty awesome. Here, I'm going to, let me just get it, put it on the
desktop. There it is. It's pretty cool. Check that out. All right. So what does it say?
Is it people thought I was dead to? Look how that turned out. And that's, that's Gandalf.
And, yeah, but I mean, I guess it's, oh, I guess that's true. I guess from, she does seem very
different when she comes back. The first images is that of Asoka and Gandalf. Obviously, we're not
going to see a mega crossover event between Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings, as awesome as that would be.
I think that's more of a hinted how Faloni sees Asoka at this point of her life.
Here they both have gray cloaks as we saw her in Mandalorian,
so it may hint that another major transformation is coming for Asoka.
Okay, here's another.
He is a phenomenal artist, though.
He really is.
I love some of this stuff that he does.
Here's another one that they posted as well.
That's this one.
Look at.
I love these shirts.
That would be a great shirt.
Continuing on to what the article states.
It says.
The second concept art is that of a white-cloaked Asoka with the staff that she had in the Star Wars Rebels finale.
The moon silhouetted behind her is the reminiscent of her appearance in the Mandalorian.
I don't think she will be standing out on a tree looking like Batman on the prow for villains.
But will she go from Asoka the Gray to Asoka the White through another world between worlds like event on mortis?
Can you spot the mori in the stars?
Oh, yeah, there it is in the top there.
That's pretty cool.
So, I mean, these are interesting.
And then there's another one here.
This is a few of the ones that he posts.
I like these.
I really dig these a lot.
Okay.
The third image has Asoka in an outfit that has yet to appear anywhere.
It is reasonable that her series could be the place where it makes its debut.
There's another one with a bunch of, he's got, he posted a lot of stuff, huh?
There's another one I'll show you guys too.
There's a young Asoka, which we saw in Tales of the Jedi,
which here comes.
you guys now, boom, and here it is.
Yeah, this is, and I think a lot of this stuff probably for Tales of the Jedi.
In the next image, a young Asoka, a backstory, we got a backstory of her birth in Tales of
the Jedi, but will we get more exploration in live action?
I don't know.
I don't think we will.
I think that was more so for Tales of the Jedi, but you never know.
You never know.
Here's another one.
It's art's cool, huh?
Love that.
That would be great if we saw this in live action.
Anyway, Faloni is a well-known anime fanatic
and the influence of Princess Mino-Manoke,
I'm not going to say it right.
You guys know that? I don't know it.
On season four, Star Wars Rebels is clear as day.
Riding a Giant Wolf isn't the only thing borrowed from that film.
According to Faloni, the entire thing was a source of inspiration for Asoka.
The concept art from Untold Tales panel at Star Wars Celebration in 2016
might be giving away Asoka's favorite method of transportation in her own series.
Now, this one's pretty awesome.
Check this.
What does this mean?
If anything, you guys tell me.
What does this mean?
That looks like Han and Asoka, but does that mean anything at all?
Let's see what they theorize.
This might have been an idea from the walkabout arc of season seven of the Clone Wars.
Originally, Soka ran into a boy who helped her instead of the Martez sisters.
There appears to be an explosion in the background, and this might be something repurposed for the new show.
Okay, so maybe it wasn't Han, but it looked like, I mean, it's got Han-type things in there, right?
Kind of looks like, I mean, the vest.
It's got the same type of blaster.
This art's awesome.
This is a fun one.
Could have led with this.
Look at this.
What's this?
This has got to be her and Sabine, right?
I assume.
Let's say next one.
This image seems to be of Asoka and Sabine.
Going through snowy mountains, possibly looking for Ezra.
They could also be looking for the minds of Moria as it evolves.
Fellowship of the Ring vibes to me.
My guess is that they are looking for an old Jedi temple here.
Oh, man.
This series could become a little bit more exciting.
I mean, I was still looking forward to it, but this looks a little bit more exciting.
Here's another one.
Look at this stuff, too.
So, yeah, he's definitely going.
I can see why he would think right away, Gondolph.
Perhaps this comes from the same scene as the previous one with Sabine.
Asoka looks out along from the top of a mountain.
And then there's another one here.
Last but not least, this is when he decided to include his picture
because I noticed Asoka's staff seeming to be radiating in a power of sorts.
Will we see a new force weapon?
Hold on here it is, guys.
So I'll show you, like, what the hell are you talking about?
And here it is.
I mean, the one next door, it looks like Dagnino.
I know it looks like, it's Canaan, but it looks like Dagnino.
Interesting.
Yeah, there's a lot there.
There was a lot.
That was cool, huh?
I thought that was pretty awesome.
What did you guys think of those pictures?
Had you seen them before?
What do you think?
I like all of it.
I like the kind of speculation of it.
I do think, who was I talking to about this recently?
I can't remember anymore.
It all blends in together.
Shoot, I was just talking to somebody about time travel.
I was on one of those Patreon 101 calls out I had.
I am so interested if they're going to play with the world between worlds for a lot of different reasons.
The positives of it are that, you know, you could do a lot of different things inside of the time travel aspect of it and how they used it in rebels and all that.
But I think there's far more negatives, not because of the creative choices.
I think because of the way the fans are going to take it, right?
I think one of the main reasons, I think right now, because of the timing of it,
Marvel's doing it, DC's doing it.
Granted, they did it in their comics way before.
But I'm just saying they've done it already.
And then if now Star Wars uses a multiverse, whatever, too,
everybody's doing a multiverse now, everything everywhere at once did it.
Marvel did it.
D.C. is doing it.
Everybody's doing multiverse now.
And that's the first kind of like,
oh, that people would do.
The second one is that you'd have people,
you'd have some people going,
okay, cool, we get to see the evolution of the Luke
that we saw in Mandalorian season two
and where that Luke went
and the idea and vision of that we had of him
years ago that we thought.
And some people, yeah, good, I get to see that.
And then there'd be other people who were like,
no, it's kind of retconning what we had seen beforehand.
And I know there's a lot of people who are like, yeah, do that.
And there's a lot of people who are like, no, don't do that.
So it just causes a lot of conversation.
I don't know.
But that's not any of those images show the world between worlds.
All of that is more so.
I do think there was a great call as far as like Gandalf.
I do think that it has a Gandalf feel to it for sure.
Because even at the end, and I keep saying,
this to people when I was watching, you know, when you watch rebels, there is a, there's a time
gap afterwards because people like, oh, no, the events, I said this a few times, I even put a
little short out about it. People don't understand this, that the events of rebels take place,
majority of rebels takes place before even New Hope. And then when it ends, the series ends,
when it concludes a last little thing at the very end is after Jedi. And that's when
and I think it's right when, you know, I believe, and what I think could be,
is that scene when Asoka finds out where Thrawn is,
then it moves into that scene where she tells Sabine that she knows where he is.
And then we start our show.
At least that's what I think.
But I'm going to do a rewatch Rebels for sure when that happens.
What do you guys think?
Let me know.
I am seeing all the super chats coming in.
I am going to go through the topics, get through everything,
and then I'll start to get to all your questions.
And again, I'm not going to, I won't shut them off.
I'll just go through them and I'll just keep refreshing the thing.
We'll go home when you're ready to go home.
Here's something I was thinking about doing, by the way.
And I don't know.
I've never done it before, and it's something I always wanted to do.
I probably have to find it on like a random Tuesday.
Because Tuesday, if I'm not doing John's show Tuesdays, like one of my,
I won't say slower days.
It's my non-shooting day.
I was thinking of doing something where I do a full-on, like, live stream for the day
and just try to talk about whatever, how people come in here,
talk about something's going on, questions from you guys,
do the whole thing, just try it once.
Something I always wanted to try to do.
Try to do is a very long stream.
But we'll see.
How are you, Rose?
Nice to see you.
Good to see you.
Anyway, yeah, Mike Joyce says, I've never seen Rebel.
Should I watch it before Soca?
I think so.
I think so.
I mean, I love Rebels.
I think Rebels is phenomenal.
I think it's just got a lot of great.
It's got what I really, the things I love about Mandalorian, Rebels has.
Like, just kind of that mix of overall Star Wars.
Yeah, I love it.
I think it's great.
And I think, and I think that Asoka is essentially going to serve as a live action's continuation of
rebels. Do I think that you be lost? No, but it's very similar to some of these other, like I was
talking about with Ant Manana and the Wasp, right? Do you have to watch Loki in order to, you know,
get what's going on in quantumania? No, but is it helpful? Yes. I think that, I think even more so
with rebels. So, yeah, anyway. All right, let's, before I move on, also got to tell you guys,
you guys many times over about our buddies over at athletic greens. I love athletic greens so much.
I love them. AG1 by Athletic Greens, man. They're so good. They're so good. And this is the other one.
This is my wife this morning takes all these vitamins. And I go, how do you do that? I can't take a whole bunch of vitamins.
I like doing it all in one shot. That's what I do with athletic greens. I love it. I take it all the time.
Every day, you guys know that. I mean, how long I've been talking about athletic greens now?
athletic greens it's better gut health it's increased energy it's you know for me it's the sleep
quality that's what i've been doing the sleep quality is the best you can do it right you can
whether you're working out before you're making your coffee whatever you're doing it's you feel
ready to go and it's it's like it's the health kick it really is between my my diet that i have
which i'll tell you about later and then and athletic greens i've been doing good i've been having good
energy. People have been noticing that. I like that. It helped me with my energy. And why do you want
to take a whole bunch of different things? You just take this and that's it. I take it in a bottle of water
and I shake it up and I love it. And AG1 was designed with ease in mind so you can live healthier and
better with having to do a lot. People love it. Katie Sackoff is, like I said, she's coming on a Monday
and I talked about athletic greens on the show and she loves athletic greens. And I'll talk and she,
I'm going to leave that in the show when she says it, of course. It's delivered to me every month,
very easy to make it a daily habit.
So if you're looking for an easier way to take supplements,
Athletic Greens, it gives you a free one-year supply of vitamin D
and five free travel packs with your first purchase.
But you have to go to Athletic Greens.com slash big thing.
Athletic Greens.com slash big thing.
I've gotten so many people, and I love it.
Every time I see it that, hey, I just signed up for age you want.
I just signed up for Athletic Greens.
I just got it.
I got it.
I love it.
Let me know because I always send that to Athletic Greens.
And people have been tagging Athletic Greens.
Hey, I just heard about you from the big thing with Grays.
Christian Harloff, definitely do that and let them know that you found them from me.
Because I want to be with them for as long as possible.
They're awesome.
Let's get to some other topics, shall we?
Cool.
Some other ones.
Let's get to what's the next one?
We did, oh, these are all those.
Sorry, I want to make sure that I can get to that.
That's all that art.
I got all that art now.
All the posters.
Let's do the posters.
Look at those posters.
Yeah, man.
Mandalorian coming in hot.
I love it.
Oh, I love it.
It's so great.
I can't wait.
I'll pump you guys for Mandalorian.
Right around the corner, man.
I mean, right around the corner next week.
Next week.
And we got a bunch of new posters.
So look at those three posters.
So this is from, they got a lot of new writers at Star Wars Newsnet,
or at least maybe not new, but just a lot more.
Fran J. Ruiz, who I don't know as much.
Season 3 of the Mandalorian, finally,
next week on March 1st ahead of the long-awaited premiere Disney Plus and Lucasfilm they have
shared on their social channels the first character posters of the season. The characters
receiving their own posters in the first batch are Din, Bocatan, and Grief Garga. And here they are.
This is amazing. And it also shows, you know, I guess all three of them are going to have a
pretty big role, it seems like. Since character posters outside of the two
titular Mandalrians are typically released each week after the episode drops, it's surprising to see
these arriving early. Of course, this could also point to Bo Catan and Grief Cager showing up in the first
few episodes of the season, which is very likely when we consider their heavy presence and their
material release so far. Traditionally, Disney Plus shows don't include much, if any, footage of the
back half of the seasons in the teasers, which I like, we'll have to wait and see. Seven days
until we're reunited to Dinn and Grogu from the cast and crew that keep popping up. It seems like
we're busy enough, yada, yada, yada. Okay. I like these posters. I think they're looking pretty
solid. And I'm just, you know, look, I've known Katie for a very, very long time, right? So this to me is
this is exciting. This is one of her, she obviously Starbuck is a big role for her and she's done,
she's done tons of stuff with it. Longmeyer and Oculus and, and, and, and, and the nip-talk list goes
on and on and on and on, but this is, this is, like, this is big time for her. I mean, I mean,
There's other stuff for big time, but this is like this season is going to be her thing and well deserved.
She's a sweetheart of a human being.
She is a very talented actress.
She can kick ass.
And I'm so excited that she's going to get a lot of time to shine in the Star Wars galaxy because she deserves it.
And I'm excited for her.
This is going to be cool.
This is going to be cool.
But these posters are pretty awesome so far.
Which one?
I mean, I guess they all kind of stand.
stand out, right? But which is the one, I mean, they're all, you know what it reminded me of when I
saw these? It reminded me of being a kid in like this old school kind of when the Empire strikes back
like Burger King stuff and the, the art that they have. It's, I don't know.
Mandalorian is the king of Star Wars right now. I mean, it really is. It really is. So good.
I'm curious. I'm curious how the show is going to be this year, man, and where they're going to go
with it because where are they going to end with it also? I mean, we know that Grogu is going to be a
basically a Mandalorian, right? That's what it looks like. He's going to, he's training,
he's not going to go, he can't have him go back to being a Jedi now. It's unnecessary, I think.
Yeah. So, all right, I'm going to get to the questions in a little bit. I'm going to get to the questions
in just a little bit. How long we've been going for? We're going to 48 minutes already? I don't know if
That's true.
I think also because I would let it run for whatever I was doing stupidly before.
Anyway, let's get to some of these other stories,
unless there's anything you guys think that are going to pop up from those posters.
But I mean, they're posters.
You can't have much time you spend on them except just knowing that the Mandalorian is getting hyped up.
I mean, it's got to be.
So let me ask you know what I'll ask the chat right now.
what do you think what do you think um is your favorite star wars show is it mando is it and or
is it oboe one word whether it's oboe you know and or mando whatever put it in the
comments i want to i'm i mean i'm going to assume it's mando but maybe i'm wrong maybe it's
andor i just want to see how many comments come in as we
as we do this because it's very,
I just think he's the king.
Yeah, Manda's the king.
I think Manda, I mean, for me,
I put, if I'm ranking everything,
oh, God, I, you know, it's hilarious.
I saw, Coy Jondro had posted,
had posted the,
someone had asked about ranking the Star Wars film.
And then Coy did it.
I was like, yeah, you know what, why not?
I'll do it.
So I post it.
And I, I was also working on no,
sleeping and there's 11 movies and I skipped one and put 12 so I skipped the number or whatever it was
I put my list as as I like it and oh my god I basically it felt like I took a dump in a dining
room and just walked out and made someone else clean it up because it's like it's so and I'm and I hope
my friends see it I saw a couple of my friends taking shots going hey let me let me let me put out
my list of uh of random movies to go just to do this and ha ha ha it doesn't really matter it's like
come on guy it's it's I didn't ask you if you wanted to do it I said I saw someone else
to it I wanted to put a list you rank your list and you do it I didn't say my list was factual
so it was my list um so if you have your list and you put it out there and enjoy put whatever
list you like doesn't mean that if you put a movie that I have as number 11 as you're number one
doesn't mean you're wrong and and I'm right or vice versa it's a list that's it's it
you can't you're you're allowed to you're allowed to do it and i love i asked p j campbell who i love and i
and i texted him and he was like because pld wrote a list and then patrick p jr says why do we
have to rank these movies because it's fun you don't have to do it but if you want to do it you do it
if you don't you don't but it's it's your list you do what you want to do you put your list out there
um you can rank them however you're you
want to rank them because there's some things you like better i i'll i rank pizza over them burgers
maybe you rank burgers over pizza that's it it's it's it's so yeah um i did i think i skipped number
i did skip number four you're right i was exhausted man it was a it was a it was a long couple
weeks but nonetheless um let's see oh
Let's talk Star Wars Celebration again.
It's like I said, I was on, I was on, can't be a show yesterday,
and we talked Star Wars Celebration.
And, well, there's the movie question, right?
Well, what's going to be announced?
And I mean, I would just, if you're like, hey, I got a bet,
I have to make one bet.
I have a thousand bucks that I have to bet on.
They're making me bet on a Star Wars movie.
Which one should I bet on?
I think you have a very high probability winning a lot of money
if you put that thousand bucks on the Lindelof movie.
And that's it.
That's it.
I think it's pretty much locked in at this point.
I don't think, I wonder what they're going to announce if they announce a plan.
I'm very curious.
And I, the smart play, to be honest with you,
is to only announce one movie.
Only announce one.
Now, let me get past this for a second,
and I want to see,
no, that's what we did that one, right?
Let's get to, I want to bring up celebrations here somewhere.
That's the Survivor game,
Star Wars Celebration.
They announced Star Wars Celebration, 2025.
They didn't announce where it was going to be,
but they announced when it was going to be,
and that's 2025.
And that goes into what we're talking about here,
and that is the movie.
2025 makes a lot of sense.
I think now because of this,
I think we get a definite confirmation of the Lindelof movie,
and we get a confirmation that comes out in December of 2025.
Because now I would have, if I was to guess,
I'm going to say they're probably going to go back to Orlando,
if I was going to guess.
Orlando.
I would say they go back to Orlando in December 2025.
And I think that the movie is Linda Lofts that they announced here.
And someone asked, I saw someone asked this question.
I don't know where it was, but they said,
how come they did Star Wars Celebration in 2022 and then did it again in 2023?
Well, it's because there was supposed to be a Star Wars celebration in 2021, I believe,
if not 2020.
It was supposed to be, it was during the pandemic.
I can't remember it was 2020 or 2021.
It's one.
But they moved it.
And then by moving it, you know, they ran into back to back, which is great.
You know, but I think every two years is probably better.
And next year, I mean, if they wanted to, they could do it every year, if they wanted to.
Because there's more stuff now with TV.
But I just think you get more of an impact.
I think you wait.
Do not.
Because the reason why I say announced the Lindelof movie is that it feels.
like production. I think they're going to announce cast. I think they're going to announce
what it's at least a rough outline of what it's about and then announced that it comes out in
2025. I think that is the smart play. Stay away now. Even though I'd love to see an actual plan of what
they're going to do, I just think there's too much baggage with how many times it's been announced
that we're doing this and it doesn't happen. And if they announce, well, we are doing
Tycho, Wattiti's movie now. Unless it starts filming tomorrow,
Don't announce it.
Don't announce Patty Jenkins movie.
Don't announce anybody else's movie.
I mean, the other one was a Sean Levy movie.
That too.
That was, people forget about that one.
The Kevin Feige won, all this.
Don't announce it.
Leave it alone until it's time.
You know, like if Lindeloff, I feel, is probably,
we're going to start shooting.
They're probably going to say something along the lines.
By the time April was around, they're going to start shooting it like soon.
I bet she's prepping.
They're getting ready.
Casting is probably done.
You're going to learn more about it.
Who's in it?
What it's going to be about.
So that to me is pretty much a guarantee.
It's just whenever that the,
because I think that this year it's Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday,
as opposed to usually, it's usually Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
But this year, I think it's Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
I think they usually always kick off.
Well, no, that's, yeah, is that true?
I think, yeah, they always kick off that the Friday is usually the one.
So I think Friday will be the big movie news.
they'll be in the I don't know sometimes they do this thing and maybe I I think they should have a movie panel on that Friday
talk about the future of the movies talk about what you know not necessarily the who's doing them but
they're plan we're going to be doing more movies and we're trying to do two a year two three a year
whatever it might be we're going to be they're going to be taking place this time we're looking
for directors and everything but our first one is lindeloff here he is oh you know I always
and vision to doing Star Wars, bah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Well, this is what our story is going to be about.
Bang, but here's what's going to be called.
Bosh.
Here's some of the people in it.
Hey, and returning from, you know, the new trilogy is,
Bada, blah, bah, we.
And then that's, and you do it now, you do it an hour of all the movies and everything.
And then you dedicate everything to TV.
And then you give something to the Mandalorian.
And it's like, all that.
Just, just, that's it.
That's it.
Because you've just, as someone just wrote, you just broke too many
promises in the past that you just dig in a ditch.
I still think, I mean, I know that there's that report that Kathleen Kennedy is going to
leave after Indiana Jones.
I don't know if it's true or if it's going to happen.
But if they announce Linda Loss movie, she's going to be a producer on it.
She's going to be locked into it.
She still will get the credit, see the points on it.
I think she, you know, if she wanted to, after Indy comes out, she could walk away and that's it.
You know, she's going to be riding high.
But she's, I think her contract also ends in 2025.
So if I'm her, why not stick it out to write until the movie comes out and then leave?
Now, I know that's a lot of people might not want, but I think that's what's going to happen.
I think she sticks out to the remainder of her contract,
and then she gets the producer in credit and walks away.
But we'll see.
I do think, though, I mean, I know she's going to be the one making the announcements at celebration.
I think that's a mistake.
I think that the audience, what I have noticed, and I think it's a good thing.
I mean, I know it's a good thing.
When she comes out, she gets a nice round of applause,
and she gets like, you know, people are very respectful in the audience,
and you know the thousands of people that are in there.
not everybody is a big Kathleen Kennedy fan,
but they show her the respect that she deserves
from all of her body of work and everything that she's done.
But she's just not,
you don't buy her as being super enthusiastic
when she's making these announcements.
And whether she's there until 2025 or not,
I would love to see her go,
you know what,
who's going to make these announcements?
So and so.
Let Favreau make all the damn announcements.
I know maybe he's,
why would he?
He's only involved in one particular sect of it.
But I think that,
right now it makes sense that that's her thing,
but whoever they're kind of grooming to be the next one,
if that is indeed the case.
Look, there's another side of this, too.
She might re-up again,
and she might be there until 2028.
So, I don't know.
Yeah, I mean, it comes off as phony.
It does.
I don't think you're wrong.
Yeah, that's the problem.
She comes out and, like, if someone had,
Miguel Fernandez had wrote to me and said,
Hey, you know, you always mention that you want this big crossover event to happen.
Kathleen Kennedy actually said it in the investors meeting in 2020 that they're doing a crossover event.
I'm like, how did I miss that?
And when you watch it, there's no passion behind it.
She's clearly reading off a prompter going, there's a, and it's going to all conclude with the big crossover event.
Huh.
What?
It should have been some oomph behind it.
behind it. She is a good producer. But that's the thing, though. I think a fair she is producing,
but she's not just producing, right? I think that's what you mean. She just, to just go back to
just producing. And that's the problem with being the head of all of it with Lucasfilm. It's like,
I think you can run Lucasfilm the way Zazlov is now running or Iger running Disney. I think
the same thing. I think a lot, I think that the problem is that when you try,
try to because you've it's like any other hot trend right when you try when everybody tries to do
what foggy's doing um and you don't have those type of that's not your toolbox it's not that's
you don't have those tools in the toolbox then it it comes off as disingenuous it doesn't come off like
it like it's yeah that i'm not buying it i don't buy like i don't feel like i mean if i sat if
I sat Coy Johnro down with Kevin Feigy for three hours, I feel like neither one of them would get
bored about the stuff that they're talking about inside the comic world. I feel like if I sat down
with Kathleen Kennedy for three hours and tried to talk to her about Star Wars, she'd call for the
bill within 10 minutes. Now, I don't know if that's true, but I don't mean the filmmaking process.
I think if you talk to the filmmaking process, she could probably be there with her for a while.
If you talk to her about directors and making the movies,
and I think I think the passion is there, that.
But I think if I started to talk about, you know, who the rule of two
and the old republic, I think that a glaze would come over her face.
That's what I would, that's, that's, that's, maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe I'm wrong.
Anyway, before we move on, speaking of food, I was just talking about food.
I don't need to go to dinner.
I got the one and the only green chef baby green chef I mean this is the one that people have
been asking me about a lot they've been asking me about it a lot because they're like hey I noticed
that you lost weight is that true I said yes it is true and I've been really using this green
chef once day and as I mentioned earlier I only take sponsors on that I believe in so I tried them out
And, man, and what I, I mean, look, they, they send you menus and things that are very easy for you to make.
I make my own stuff also with the stuff that they send.
I've been making, like, these stir fries, which is really great.

60% off. 60% off plus free shipping. You got to go to greenchef.com slash thing 60. All of these things
that I've been telling you guys about, they're all in the description of the video already. So you can go in there and you can check it out.
It's fantastic. It's really, it's really good. Okay. Let me tell you something. I have been collecting these super chats.
We're going to try this out today, and we're going to see how it works out.
Let's see, I'm looking right now and I'm going into the super chats,
and I want to see exactly how many people have put some stuff in thus far.
I'm going to go all the way down.
There's quite a few.
There's quite a few.
So if you guys want to continue to put them in there, please do.
I'm going to read them, and let's take some super chats.
I'm not going to promise you this, that for that big line,
stream that I'm going to do. I made sure that I don't do like on on my show. I'm big thing.
It's not even it's not even live. This is live. I was not going to put Schmovots or anything for this.
I think it just for what this show is, it just kind of disrupts it. But I was thinking for the super long
stream that I do forever how many hours I do it for. I'm going to do it all. Super Jets,
Schmobots, stream labs, the whole damn thing and just like we just hang out all day.
I'll probably have drinks. I'll have some. I'm going to get Joe's pizza.
I'm going to get just pizza that day.
I'll tell you that.
And we'll just have a full-on party all of us.
And that's the other thing, by the way.
I forgot to mention this.
We're going to, as I mentioned to you guys with little live shows that we're going to do,
we're going to announce that when they're on sale,
and we're going to give people who are either patrons or part of this new website first access
to the shows are probably like a discounted code.
So once we have the website set up, we'll give you an opportunity to join as members.
but the other thing we're going to do is we're going to do an event that'll be exclusive for this particular website,
hence why we'll give the exclusive tickets with the discount.
We're going to have the whole big thing crew because you don't ever really get to see Winston and Coy and Steph and Mike together on the same show and Roxy and Brett and Kate all in the same room,
partying, having a good time, talking it up and kind of prepping for the live shows of what it's going to be.
and we're going to do a full live show with you guys,
and that will be live streamed.
And that will happen sooner than later,
so I'll have more information on that.
All right, let's get to these questions.
I'm going to go to the first one here,
and the first one is from Matt McEuler.
Will Star Wars become a prestige name again in cinema?
It's a fantastic question.
It is an absolutely fantastic question
because it is not, it's like, it reminds me of kind of baseball, right?
Baseball was America's pastime for a very long time,
but I don't think anybody can deny that it is indeed football that is America's pastime.
Star Wars was the game.
Star Wars was the one.
And rightfully so, for everything that it did.
And the new trilogy took the oomph out of the mystery of it.
And not because it necessarily, you might, even if you love the movies,
I don't think you can deny that it.
it didn't,
Marvel for the first three phases
united everybody.
It did.
It just,
minus,
you know,
a handful of people,
but people,
Marvel fans,
right?
Marvel fans loved the first three phases of Marvel.
Majority, right?
Star Wars fans was very,
very conflicted for a long time.
Mandalorian got people back on,
but it's,
I don't think that there's many people
that will argue inside of the Star Wars base that
it's a little bit more fun to watch TV right now.
now because Star Wars, they don't really know what the plan is. Now, I do think, and this is nothing,
and I hate that it always comes into this whole thing where it seems like it's a, a Bash Kennedy thing,
because that's not fair, because I do, like I do. I think that, I think what she has accomplished
in her career is legendary. I do. I really do think she's a legendary producer. She,
she has produced some of the greatest movies of all time. I just think she's in a too much of an old-school
mentality to take Star Wars where it needs to go. It's like a coach of a sports team. It's like
their battle plan works for certain things. Like if like Indiana Jones, I think the approach that
she made is going to work and I think it's going to make a lot of money. And I think she's going to
do and it's going to be another notch on the belt that it's like, yeah, that was why you have
Kathleen Kennedy produced. Look at that movie. But I think Star Wars is a different animal right now because
it's playing in the same, it's playing in the same arena that DC and Marvel are playing.
playing in right now, but it's not, it, it just doesn't even have the same game plan.
And you're going to, against those two types of B, so what they're trying to do and put together,
like, when gun comes out and has a specific plan, whether you like the plan or not, it's a plan.
Marvel, whether you like the plan or not, it's a plan.
You got to have a plan.
And so if the plan, if they have a plan, they have someone who can execute that plan, yes,
I do think that they can come back to prominence because I think the material is good enough for it to be.
I think that they played in the old republic
and they believed in this stuff
and they weren't scared to do certain things that
yes, they could.
So we'll see.
We'll see, we'll see, we'll see.
So we got, um,
so thank you for that question.
I appreciate it.
Yeah, like I said, there's a lot of questions coming in.
Thank you guys so much.
Appreciate it.
Like I didn't know what I was going to do here today.
So the fact that, um, you guys are sending these in.
It means a lot.
It's a support to the channel and it really means a lot.
Um,
all right, the next one coming in.
is from, oh wait, you know what I got to do?
Hold on a second.
That's, you can't even see people's names.
Can't do that.
Make sure I see everybody's names.
Come on, guy.
So let me make sure that we have that last one.
Let me make sure.
There's Wicked Art.
So there is, all right.
We have Matt McClure.
We did already.
Okay, Roli reacts.
Just puts in a $5 super chat.
Thank you, Roli.
Wicked Art, the great Wicked Art.
By the way, and I didn't get a chance to use Wicked Art's intro today.
the signature,
Sith Council and Capes and Cow's
signature done by the great wicked art,
I just couldn't do it today and puts in a very generous $10 super chat.
Thank you, man.
Why does Star Wars keep teasing Quinlan Voss,
but never gives us what's been going on with him?
I think it would be cool to see him help out Osok in
unknown regions in a couple of episodes.
Yes, however, by the time we get there,
he's going to be pretty old.
Now, that's not to say he can't use him,
but I think that if you are,
I don't think that they should do Obi-1 season two.
But if you do, there's your show.
You set up Quinlan Voss.
You set him up.
And he said, Quinlan's still around?
That's the show.
He finds Quillen-Vos, and him are off doing adventures together.
You don't need Vader.
You don't need the kids.
You don't need any of that.
Yeah, he's got to still check in on Luke and make sure Luke's okay.
I get it.
I know.
I understand.
But Quinlan Voss was on Tatooine at one point.
He can come back.
And then they can go somewhere else.
They can do some other things,
or whatever it might be, if you're going to do it.
Or have some balls and do a Quinlan Voss series.
No one knows who Quillen Voss is.
Let them know who he is.
No one knew who the guardians were.
Let them know who they are.
That's the thing.
It's this silly thing of the, well, we're not sure if anybody knows who that is.
Make them care.
Make them care.
A lot of people, non-video game players, didn't know who Joel was from Last of Us.
And now they care.
Because it was a popular video game.
Yeah.
But you also got my wife who's never played video games in her life
on board with that show.
So come on.
Yeah.
All right, let's see.
Next one.
Let's get to the next one.
I think it's been going pretty good so far.
That is from the Great Wicked Art.
All right, let me make sure.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Wicked Art.
Okay, next one.
from Netei Sores.
Chances of Kevin Kiner
scoring Asoka.
If there's a live action show
for him to score,
I believe this could be a great fit.
Thoughts?
Any other options come to mind?
Kevin Kiner absolutely should be doing Asoka.
Absolutely.
He came up with her theme.
He's come up with other things.
He did all the rebels thing.
This is an extension to it.
He's done live action before he did Peacemaker,
which I forgot about until someone said,
because I kept saying he needs to do live action
like he did, Peacemaker.
And that was great. Kevin Kiner is so underrated, not by Star Wars fans who really appreciate him.
He is an underrated composer who need, and he's the, and I love, I love the Mandalorian score.
Kevin Kiner is the best behind John Williams is the best Star Wars composer, hands down.
After John Williams, Kevin Kiner is the best.
Because Kevin Kiner does what a lot of people have failed to do, and that is give original themes
and still not be afraid to use classic ones when the time is right
and don't make it look like, oh, we're just relying on the old names?
No, it's a perfect time to use it, but here's a new one.
Here's a new.
Are you like a circus theme?
Great.
Well, here's the force team also here.
It's brilliant the way he uses Star Wars music.
The Obi-1 series should have used Kevin Kiner.
Nothing against the composer.
Thought she was great.
She worked in some other stuff that was amazing.
But it wasn't, it was, that was one of the biggest misfires from Obi-1 was the music.
And that was because maybe the note that she got, too, was not to use it as much.
And that could have been a Debra Chow thing.
But Kevin Kiner is the man.
And so I really hope that he's able to do Asoka.
I'm crossing my fingers.
Cross my fingers.
Okay.
Let's see.
Let's go to yet another one.
Thank you guys for everybody who's submitting these.
I mean, like I said, I never really know when people are, when I say, hey, you guys want to ask questions,
if people are going to actually do it or not.
So the fact that you guys are doing it, it really means a lot.
Thank you.
All right, next one.
This is from Logan Astro.
Do you think we find out who took Grogu from the Jedi Temple in Mando's season three?
Yes, 100%.
I think that that's, you know, it's funny.
Had we not seen that scene in the trailer of all the Jedi and everything, too, I would have said,
I don't know, maybe, maybe not.
I'm not sure, but I think they're pretty much telling you they're going to show us.
And even in that he's sitting there kind of, it looks,
like thinking about it and they're tapping into, I think we learn a lot more about him.
I think he speaks at the end of the, in the series, or season finale, I think he speaks.
Maybe not, but I think eventually you're going to, I think that's the next step, but they're
going to have to hit his voice and get, because if they hit his voice and it doesn't work, then it's
like, oh, man, he shouldn't have said anything. But if, if they get his voice right, that's going
to add another layer to adorable, and then the toys are even going to sell even more so, because
here's here's the here's talking grogo but yeah yes colonel sandros it's actually live today
i took a shot at it i wanted to see what how we were going to play with us today and that's why i said
um and i think that a lot of times what i do is um you know i asked i asked for the questions as we're
leading and it was the last one leading into mandolarian because we're going to be doing mandolorean um
that's right she did loki and loki score was fantastic you're absolutely right you're absolutely
right. The Loki score is amazing. I just watched that series again. She was, yeah, so I think it was
probably the notes that she got of try to stay away from the John William stuff, which I think
was a terrible, terrible decision, terrible decision. But not, maybe not her fault. Anyway,
yeah, man, this is, I wanted to try to do this live because a lot of times, you know, as we were leading up
to Mandelorian. I had these episodes. I'm like, well, what are we going to talk about? And there's
some stuff leading into it. There's some great stuff on Star Wars Newsnet, but I take a lot of
questions from the audience. And I'm like, well, I can just do what I do for a lot of my streaming
stuff. And I'll, and I'll just ask for, I'll see if people want to submit some of the super
chats. I'll go over the stuff. And if, and like I said, I'll be here. I see, I see more coming in right now.
So I'll be here for as long as you guys are asking the, the questions. I'm, I'm, and you want to
hang out with me. I'll hang out with you. So let's do it. Let's do another one. Did I get that last
question? Let me make sure I get the last one right. Well, what's that? That's not what I wanted to do.
My stupid face again. There it is. Okay. Next question. Logan, we did Logan, right? We did that.
So yes, I do think we're going to see him. I do absolutely think we're going to see him for sure.
Okay. Darien, my man, Darian says, Christian, if it were up to you, how would you? How would you
you end Mando season three to lead into season four. Favro said yesterday he's almost done
writing season four. I'd like to see it like, you know, he's, there's only so much time we can
have him chasing the fact that he wants to be a Mandalorian. You know, it's either you're in or
you're out. You've decided that you're going to be part of this or you're, or you're not. You're going
to keep the mask on or you won't. I think that it's got to, I think it's, I think we got to spend
they got to reestablish mandolore.
And I think Mandelor is where we can start to have things happen, put it together.
And that's, it's kind of why I mentioned the thing with the world between worlds,
because the problem is if you really can establish Mandelor as this thing of all the
Mandalorians together and on this one planet and, you know, leading into, it just,
I don't necessarily know if you're handcuffed by the new trilogy with the Mandalorian lore,
they decided to kind of do their own thing,
but to set you up into a place that if they decided to do a full-on movie
about Mandelor in general,
and not the Mandalorian,
which I still think would be pretty interesting,
but not the Mandalorian,
but just setting up the lore of Mandelor
and doing more stuff to where you start to establish that planet,
that if you want to revisit that planet again in a couple of years,
20 years, 30 years, 40 years,
and even if they revisit it in the Lindelof thing
and they fly down a Mandelaar,
you know that it's been established,
that they reestablish the planet.
That's the kind of stuff I'd like to see happen at the end of it for sure.
So we'll see, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see.
Now, wait a minute.
Oh, okay.
Shut it down again.
Sorry, guys.
All right, so that was from Darien.
This is from Jess Fos.
Hey, Christian, is the story group still a thing?
I think it is.
They don't really make as much of a thing about it like they used to, though, right?
they used to talk about the story group all the time and talk about Pablo Hadog.
I think Pablo Adaga is not great on Twitter a lot of times.
I think that he's taken himself,
obviously self-admittedly.
He doesn't, like with social stuff,
he's a very outspoken guy.
He likes to see things.
And I think he's,
I don't blame him because I think Twitter stinks.
And I really hope that it goes away,
but I don't think it will.
But I think between that and,
and I don't know what happened to Leland Shea, who I love.
I don't know.
I don't know. I think that they still, you know, when it comes to if you need certain things explained or if there's particular, I think that those guys are always there. Now, how much they're connecting everything, I assume that it's still a thing. It's just not as talked about as before, if that makes sense. I don't know. What do you guys think? You think it's still a thing? We'll see. That's a great call, Thron.
this story group does need to hire Alex Damon.
I couldn't agree more.
Yeah, absolutely.
That would be great.
Anyway, let's keep going.
And I keep seeing, you know, more super chats coming in.
So, hey, we're here to 5 o'clock.
We're here to 5 o'clock.
I'm cool with it.
Let's keep going.
All right, next question.
Next question.
That was from, where was it?
Where was it?
I keep going, man, there's a lot of them coming in.
Holy moly.
Holy moly.
Holy moly.
Thank you guys.
is from just foes.
Just,
fos, just,
foes, just foes.
All right.
Now, this is from Bobby Jackson.
One and only,
Bobby Jackson.
Thank you, Bobby.
It was a very nice super chat as well.
In order to get more people on board
with the High Republic material,
do you think Lucasfilm should release
more animated or live action series
also had a fantastic time on Sunday.
Thank you, Bob.
I'm sorry, I missed you.
Yeah, for a lot of people who were there on Sunday,
they were like for the show.
I had, once I, it was,
It was late for me.
The show started at like, started at like 9.15.
I didn't hit the stage until like 915.
I did put my first six minutes of the standup that I did on this channel if you wanted to see it.
But then we led into the show with John, myself and Greg, and we were up there for about an hour.
And I think it was, I mean, I don't think I got home until like 1145 at night.
And I was, I was wrecked the next day.
So I had to get out of there as soon as possible.
But it was really nice that everybody was there.
I'm glad you had a good time.
As far as the question goes.
as far as the question goes.
Let me get back to your question, Bobby.
And that is in order to get to the High Republic animation.
Yes, I do think animation would be a good way to do it.
I mean, they're coming out with that video game,
and that video game was like, okay, great, this looks amazing.
The problem of the video game comes out in like five years or something.
So it's like, oh, okay.
The novels, that's not going to get people really hyped up on it.
The people who are reading it, absolutely will.
but people who just are casual fans or even just watch the watch stuff in general,
it's going to be hard to get them on board.
And I even,
and someone even asked me today,
how come you're not really getting into the High Republic stuff?
There's some good stuff in it.
And I've said this,
I think this was like 2015.
I probably would have read every single one of them backwards and forwards.
The problem for me now is I read these things differently than everybody else does.
and it's not, it has nothing to do with, and I, and I, for anybody who reads them, and this is the right
approach, I think, for you, for you, for everyone out there who's like, well, I just like to read
the story because they're good stories. Absolutely. Absolutely. And I think that is ultimately
what the intent should be and always should have been, to be honest. I just think that the bad call
was in 2012 saying, hey, like, essentially what James Gunn said that this DCU is going to do is
connect the, the, the TV and the animation and the video games and all of it's going to have this
one through line. I believe him when he says it. I believed them when they said it, but it hasn't
been true. And I think that the final nail in the coffin, and I'll be very adamant about this,
and I've said it in the past, I don't necessarily think that they, that Tony Gilroy needs to do
this for his, the way he wants to tell it. But they sold a comic book on the assumption that it was
true fact and to the canon that they were telling everybody, hey, if you want to see how Cassian
and K2SO met, you got to buy this comic. So people bought the comic saying, oh, this is how they
really met. But then Tony Gilroy, if he doesn't want to do that, then I go, yeah, but it was only
canon during that time. But the creator of this show didn't want to do that, so we're not
making him stick to it. It's like, that's fine. He probably might come up with a better idea
of why, but stop saying things are canon just to sell thing.
just tell them just stories.
The way legends used to be, they're just stories.
Some of them, you know, it's like, that to me,
it's less handcuffy to the writers.
It's less handcuffy to the audience.
And it's like, why sell it on the canon stuff?
I mean, that's why, that's my point is I read this stuff
because I thought I was going into the movies
because of this cell, this pitch of like everything was going to connect.
And it wasn't, and there were things that were negating themselves all the time.
And I was like, eh, that's not why I'm reading it.
and I'm not, and again, not taking it away from anybody who reads it for different reasons.
So, Bobby's question as far as animation, I do think that's probably a good idea,
but I think that the first touch of it is the acolyte.
And the first touch of it is going to be the end of the acolyte,
where it's this, kind of the less glory years of the High Republic.
So you start to get the first inkling of what that time was like visually.
So I do think that that's a way to get people.
more connected to it for sure. And look, another way to do it is believing in your material that
you have. If you want to believe in these canon books and you're not just selling them to get money
out of the audience and you want to want to do it to A, it does bother me when people say that what
I just said, like, well, they're just trying to get money out of the audience. Well, yeah, it's a business.
But if that's your only intent, then that's the problem, right? Like, it's like, yeah, just sell them.
they'll make money to buy it. That stinks. If they say, like, look, we've got all these books.
We've got all these things. We've got the High Republic. People like them the Acolyte.
Let's try to adapt this first book from the High Republic. I don't know if I want to commit to a series,
but let's make a Disney Plus movie for it. Let's make a Disney Plus movie for the High Republic
with the intent that if it does well, that this could potentially be a series.
if you believe in it enough.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Okay.
Thank you, Bobby.
You're the man.
Bobby's been a long time supporter of this channel.
He's just,
and I'm a really good dude.
156 impulse.
Hey, big fan.
Thank you, man.
Question, I love Andor,
and that's my number one show.
Mando is my second favorite.
Great job yesterday at John's show.
Thanks, man.
Yeah, John's show was fun yesterday.
It was, it was, it's always good.
It's like the, I just would,
if John's, if John's,
studio was closer, I'd probably do it a lot more.
It just, it takes out, it's, it, it rips the whole day.
It takes it out, in the morning, it takes an hour and a half to get there.
It only says about an hour to get back, an hour and a half to get back there, but the show's
two hours long.
So by the time, 10.30, like, I leave, I leave my house at 8.30 in the morning.
I get to Johns by 10.
Shoot the show at 10.30, done by 1230, 1240, home by like two, close to it,
maybe 1.45, 2, walk to, walk the,
dog and my day is pretty much shot. So it's, I love doing the show, but it's just,
that's why I, that's why I'm not, I don't do it all the time. If it was closer,
I'd probably do a lot more. But I love that. Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Um, yes,
question. I'm sorry. Do you just say it's really nice things? Oh, you said that Mando,
and or I, I, I get it. I get it. Like, I have talked to so many people who were just
off of Star Wars in general and even Mando, right? It's like, yeah, it's fine. But just
we're brought into a different type of writing.
with Andor.
Like the writing on Andor is still, I mean, I'm way more excited, obviously, for the
Mandalorian than when Andor was announced.
There weren't a lot of people who were hyped that it was coming out because you didn't
know what was going to be.
Plus, you just had two series that were fairly lackluster.
And on a lot of people, some people love both the series.
I'm just saying for the majority opinion is that it was fairly lackluster on the other two.
So there wasn't a lot of hype behind it.
There's a lot of hype behind Mandalorian, right?
but then when you get the type of writing,
season two will be a lot more hype for Andor.
But look,
I'm not going to push back against anyone
that says that Andor is their favorite show.
It is, to me, the best written Star Wars material since Empire.
I've said that.
I said it to Diego Luna when he's sitting right there.
But Mandelaarine is still my favorite.
It's just, it's everything I love about Star Wars,
but I get that Andor is also a lot of people's favorites.
Questions are still coming in, man.
Thank you.
Like I said, I'll be here until they're all done.
Let's go.
The next one.
This is from Elmuff.
Elimov?
I can't tell.
I've got to put my freaking glasses on.
It is.
Elimov.
Okay.
If you could pick any director to make a Star Wars movie, who would you pick?
I'd go Nolan.
I think you would have done one back in 2015 or so.
You know, that's a harder question for me to answer
only because it just depends.
It depends on, like you look at, you look at,
I always bring up this Ryan Cougar conversation.
Ryan Cougar is a guy who is just such a young kind of visionary
and just has a very passionate way about making films.
And you feel his emotion in all his movies, right?
He had only done Creed and FruitVal Station when he got Black Panther.
The level that he was at at the time,
one would assume that the meeting went,
and this is a question,
So I'm definitely going to ask him if I ever get a chance to interview him again.
And I'll definitely ask Figey if I interview him, whatever it might be.
And I would say to them, I always envision the meeting kind of going like this.
Look, we have a plan.
We know where we need these movies to go.
We love what you do with Fruitvale Station.
We love Creed.
Is Black Panther, or maybe he said he wanted to take the meeting because how much Black Panther meant from?
I believe that he said that in an interview, I believe.
And, okay, so we had this idea of certain things that need to happen.
What's your vision on it?
Well, I always saw it going this way and that way.
Great, but can it also link up to this?
Yeah, it could.
What if we did it this way?
And collaboration.
I think that that was one of the biggest missteps with the new trilogy.
It was like, oh, where do you want to go with it?
I'd like to go this way and go cuckoo-cuchoo with it.
Oh, okay.
Well, what about the fact that this director did that and the last one?
Eh, okay, that makes sense.
Just do what do you want to do?
You're a good director.
We trust you.
Like, with certain, like, Tony Gilroy is a perfect example of the showrunner who collaborated with everybody.
And he doesn't give, he doesn't, he's, now again, I feel if I tried to have a conversation with Tony Gilroy about, um,
Darth Bain and all republic and all of that, his head would be in his pasta within five minutes.
However, I feel if I talk to him about the intrigue and the understanding of the rebellion and the spy in the government, the politics of all the empire, I feel you talk ears up for four hours.
So it depends on the project, the passion behind it, and also the collaboration.
Tony Gilroy, I don't know how factual this is or not.
Rumors that I had heard that JJ like to, JJ Abrams liked to do things his own way and didn't really want to take a lot of outside information of what the Star Wars thing was.
He had his idea, he had his vision, he wanted to bring it out.
Gilroy, again, I use his example of he made that whole artifact scene.
He didn't know probably any of it of what it was, but he trusted in the people who did.
And maybe that was the story team.
It was other people, too, that there was all these artifacts.
I don't care where they come from.
I'd like to know what they are once you tell me what they are.
But I need artifacts from the galaxy.
something that would be in this guy's office.
And they're like, well, this comes from this particular age,
the Mando age or the old Republic.
And this is a great, put it in there.
And I think that that's what you'd have to do with the director that comes in,
whether it's a Nolan or something like, is he, is Nolan,
what kind of a venture does he want to tell?
Does he want to play ball or you just want to make a Nolan movie?
Does he, if Tarantino came in, he'd make a Tarantino movie, right?
I always thought the idea of Matthew Vaughn doing,
I still think that X-Men first class is a very,
underrated X-Men movie and people don't talk about it enough.
I think that it kind of revitalized the entire X-Men franchise.
People forget how stale X-Men were by the time Vaughn's X-Men got in there.
And I think he's amazing.
And I wish he'd get out of the Kingsman realm.
And I love the first Kingsman.
I just wish he'd get out of that realm and start doing other stuff.
So I think Matthew Vaughn would be someone that I'd be very interested in seeing doing it.
All right, let's see.
Next one.
Thank you for your question, by the way.
And thank you for the generous super chat.
I appreciate it.
I know they're still coming in.
Don't worry. I see the superchats coming in. I'm going to, I'm going to keep going, I promise.
Here is the next one. And this is from T.J. Thomas.
Announce a Revan movie or a Nights overhogue movie, and Kathleen's job is saved instantly,
an easy billion-dollar movie trilogy or saga.
Okay, so there's a lot inside of that statement, right?
Job is saved.
You're saying this also as if I also think it's a two-way street here.
I don't necessarily think that she wants to be there anymore.
I think that she is also planning for her exit
and talking to her husband and going,
I'm going to do this, I'm going to set this up,
I'm going to get my points,
I'm going to make another billion dollars on this Star Wars movie,
and then I'm out.
I think that that's the whole thing too.
I don't think that, like, that's kind of my point with,
I don't think she's trying to do,
I want to make the next big best Star Wars lore movie.
I don't think that that's something
she wants to do.
I think she wants to make a lot of money on a Star Wars movie.
Don't get me wrong, but she wants to put together the right pieces that people,
in her, the best case scenario for her inside of this is all of these series that are set up
right now, all the series really have a chance to be fantastic.
I saw someone in the comments said they're not excited for skeleton crew.
I think that's going to change.
I don't know if you've ever seen the old man, but John Watts is a hell of a TV director as much
as he's a film director.
And I think that his,
and from speaking with him outside of Star Wars Celebration,
his vision for this show is going to be pretty extraordinary.
And we're going to learn more about the unknown regions
than I think we ever have before.
So I think that that's going to change your,
I think your opinion might change on that.
So, but all the shows that are coming out,
Mandelaarine season three, people are hyped about it.
Asoka, people are hyped about it.
Skeleton crew, I think people will get hyped about it.
The Ackleight could be one of the most exciting series done so far
if handled, and it's exploring a time period that we haven't really explored, and it's getting
away from the empire side of it, and after the empire, you know, that type, it's a whole new era,
so that's exciting. And then, and or season two. So those are all shows that are going to be
on her belt before, you know, she takes off, if again, she is taking off. And those are five
wins right there, you would assume. Okay. And now the movie, if she goes and she just makes this
big blockbuster movie and it makes a billion dollars, great.
That's a win she's done that many times before.
But if it's great, if the movie turns out to be great and get the audience back on board
because if they can do that and she does that, that's a big win for her as well.
But I think setting up the Knights of Republic and No Republic and setting up that regime
and a Game of Thrones type thing, do I think it's my dream?
Yeah.
Do I think it's going to save her job?
No, there's other ways for her if she wanted to stick around.
If this new Lindelof movie makes a billion dollars and she wants to stick around, she can stick around.
It's a money business.
It's a money business.
All right.
Let's go.
Next question.
And that was from T.J. Thomas.
Okay.
Noob's profit.
I like that.
Noob's profit.
Love the channel.
Never stop.
Thanks, man.
Yeah.
We're trying.
We're trying to do new things.
We're, uh, why is that doing?
that's not that it's you know we've been doing this now for a little bit on on this channel and
i'm really i'm i'm i'm i'm i'm talking to perry yesterday like we've been pushing really hard
and i was i was trying to do the math on it because this channel was a clips channel for the schmodeown
and even scein clips for a while and i can't remember maybe seven eight thousand subscribers or whatever
it was and when i took it over i i know i keep saying i took it over in august of 2021 and i did
but it was big thing that I just kind of transferred over from the other channel and put it on here.
And I didn't really start doing reviews and reactions and consistent long form really until,
I think like September, October of 2021.
So we're in 2023 now and we're just approaching.
We're about a year and a half in, maybe a year, a little over a year and a half in.
And we're approaching 70,000 subscribers and the shows have been doing really good and the supports
been really good and the interaction with the community has been at an all-time high. So, yeah,
I'm pretty, I'm pretty happy with the way things are going right now, man. I'm not going to lie to you.
I think it's, it's been nice. It's been really, it's been really nice. And I, and I'm, it's always,
there's always a big hesitation when you're doing things and when you have the, the job and the
comfortability. And, and that's honestly, and to also be up front as well, too. Like I, when, with
S-E-N and Schmodown, like we, for S-E-N, particularly, when I, when I went out after Collider,
we relied on those Schmobots and we relied on all that stuff because it was, it was the way to, to,
to keep it going in a way, and I do fully admit that it, for combining and trying to do what I
do for big thing now, like S-E-N-now is, is purely a interaction show and it's intended for that.
So by doing it that way, you're expecting it.
And when you're trying to do a podcast like I do now and you're trying to do a show like this, like I do now, and you have consistent interruptions about the Schmobot.
Look, it kept everybody alive and working for months.
And it kept the Schmodeown going.
I mean, a lot of the money that came in from SEM also went to the Schmodeown or before Skybound came about and all that.
And then even after Skybound came about like that because they had to make the money that would then went to, you know, anything that SEM and Schmode.
and all that went back to Skybound because they were putting all the money in there.
But it was, it was, it was a big time and it was also an idea to say, okay, this is a support.
And look, Superchats are the same thing, right?
And that's why I figure, and I think what John Campby does on his show is done very well, where he,
and that's kind of one of the things that I wanted to try to do, if I was going to do shows like this,
it's like, do a show, tell people that if they want to ask the questions, then they want to do it.
absolutely open it up and then you have conversation like this and it doesn't diminish the first
type of hour that you're talking about the show and then the topics and then you get into the topics
that you guys want to talk about and I think that that's why that's what I'm probably do more shows
like this if you guys like them you got to tell me if you like doing the live shows I think you guys do
but but you got let me know and obviously let me know in the comments as well but thank you it's
very very very kind of you okay next one nightmare narrative
Love you, buddy. Thanks, man. Glad to see you doing the live stream.
Hope to see more, especially live after shows for Mando, if you're up to it.
I don't know about live after shows. I'll tell you that.
I think that I do, for certain things, I think that my structure or what I've been doing lately
with my, the way that I've been doing it, so, and this is not just for Mandalorian,
it's for a lot of the shows that I cover, especially like Last of Us.
I watch the show, and then I run into my kitchen, and I take my phone,
and I do this, and I put it up on the channel,
and I do an immediate reaction,
the same way I do, like I'm going to see cocaine bear tonight,
I'm going to go see it, I'll do my immediate reaction,
I put it on the channel.
I let that sit for the night.
And then the next morning,
I do a full kind of detailed spoiler on it.
Now, Mandalorian will have kind of triple coverage on it,
the way that we've done for past Star Wars shows.
Mandalorian immediate reaction.
The first one will come like an out-of-the-the-the-the-the-the-the-the-the-the-the-threat
because I'm going to see it in the theater for a special screening on Tuesday.
So I'll do an out-of-the-the-the-theter for the Mandalorian,
But normally what I'll do is immediate reaction.
And then the next morning, I will do a full-on spoiler review by myself,
and the leaf blower will be here as well.
And then for Sith Council, myself, Mike, and Steph will cover it for a deep, in-depth conversation.
Because I know a lot of times people like when I do my thing and I'm talking about it,
but then they like to see me kind of bouncing back and forth.
And you hear the bizarre comments by Mike.
And then Steph and I will kind of get into a lot of the lore stuff too.
So I know that it's kind of like it's always a triple.
coverage on it. So a full on live reaction afterwards, I don't know. I'm considering,
I was considering doing like full actual reaction videos to some of them. But I don't know. I just
don't know if that's what you guys come to me for. I've done it before. I did it with the
with Game of Thrones or the House of the Dragon for the last one. But I tried it with
the Andor, nobody really gave a crap about it. So I don't know. I don't know. But I don't know
about that particular thing, but I will have a lot of coverage on it for sure.
All right, next one.
Thank you, though.
Thank you very much for the generous donation.
It's very nice.
Okay.
Next one.
Mendel Green.
What are the chances that Quinlan Voss is the one who saved Grogu?
Hi.
I mean, I think it's high.
I think it's, there's, if they want to introduce him back into the lore,
the way that they did and connected with, if they want, like,
this is what they could do inside of a connected universe, right?
if they throw his name in there in Obi-Wan
and then it turns out to be him that saves him,
then you could do a side adventure with him in another show
and you're building up that character.
So I don't think it will be,
but I think it would be,
I think it would be great.
I think, well, no, is Plokun?
Well, because Dave Loney Loves Plowcun.
But I don't know if Plowcun was dead at that point
by the time that it happened.
I don't know.
Interesting.
I'm excited to find out who it was, for sure.
We know it's not a SOCA, obviously.
Okay, next question.
But yeah, I do think that there's a good shot.
This is a good shot.
Wicked art again.
Thanks, man.
I really hope we get some images and more story for Acolyte.
It's my most anticipated, same.
And I can't wait to see what they do.
Will they push dark side in it?
I mean, I think that they have to, right?
Because it's a dark side show.
even though I don't, and I've said this many times over, on Disney Plus,
I just don't think they're going to have the balls ever to lead a show with the dark side
or with a villain.
I just don't think that is ever going to happen in the way like a Breaking Bad or Sopranos or something happens, right?
Like I don't think that's ever going to happen as much as I'd love to see it happen,
especially like a Darth Bain or even a Palpatine mini-series or something,
the rise of Palpatine.
But, yeah, I think that there's going to be a lot of,
dark side stuff, and you've got to show. And I think that that, I think that you're going to get more
stuff. I think they're going to say hold off on Acolyte until, I think you're going to get a
heavy push, hopefully, at Celebration. I think you're going to get art. I think you're going,
I think that the audience will get the teaser trailer. I don't think we will. I think we'll get
art though. I think we'll get maybe a poster, but I don't think we're getting, I don't think,
I don't think the audience that's not going, is going to, is going to see the trailer,
but I do think the audience is going to see a trailer this time.
But yeah, Darkseye, you got to lean on Dark Side.
Got it.
Got it.
All right, let's go.
Next one.
And that is Colonel Sanders.
May the Schwartz be with you.
You too.
You know, it's so stupid.
I have my, you know, when I do my, I've been posting a lot of shorts recently.
So sometimes I have to be on the run.
I do voice text to do my description.
And I'm running through it.
And I'll do hashtag Star Wars, hashtag Asoka, hashtag.
And every time I say hashtag shorts, it always goes hashtag Schwartz every time.
I'm like, why is that the first place that Siri go, series go?
Wouldn't shorts be the first thing to take over Schwartz?
Series of moron.
Just no offense.
I don't know.
No offense to who.
Maybe Siri's watching?
I don't know.
Okay.
Let's see.
Next question.
Tom Hanks.
Hey, Tom.
Big fan.
What are the hopes for announcements at celebration?
I mean, I think I just said it as far as my hopes.
My biggest hope is Ackleit, more so than the movie.
I want to see what the Acklead's going to look like.
My biggest hope is that we all get a trailer for it,
but I don't think we're going to.
Biggest hope is we learn more about it.
We get the TV slate in general.
The biggest hope for movies is that more so than just an announcement
of an actual movie happening, when is it shooting,
how close are we? What's it about who's in it? That's my biggest hope. I'm very curious to what you guys
think as far as your biggest hopes are too. Again, questions are keep coming in and I thank you.
Travis L. Marshall. All right, Travis L. How do you see Thrawn? Quite frankly, I see him more of
his anti-hero after reading the novels, especially if Papa Palpatine is gone. Yeah, but that's the question,
right? That goes back to my previous point.
what are they following?
Are they, because in the, in the rebels,
in rebels he seems like a pure villain,
pure villain, like there's,
there's, it's, it's, it's black and white.
There's no, there's no,
he seems like a villain.
In the novels, he's pretty intricate.
There's a lot more, the comic book too,
there's a lot more going on with him
of what he went through and how he became
and how he made his way into,
I thought a Thrawn series, by the way,
exploring his origin and how he became part of it
because you're right.
And the novels, he's got to go through a lot
and he kind of forms these relationships and everything too.
And you can sympathize with him.
Not so much in TV.
And I think that, like I said, TV and film
and I don't know about games yet,
but TV and film are canon.
Nothing else is canon right now.
They can tell you it is, but nothing else is canon right now.
So, Thrawn's a villain.
How do I see him if they combined all of it?
Sure, I see your point.
But right now, the Thron that we're given, he's a pure villain.
That's it.
All right.
Next question.
And that comes from Corey Gallup.
Hey, Christian.
I never catch episodes live, but you make my work days go faster with all the big thing content.
Keep it up.
Are you hyped for Jedi Survivor?
So I'll tell you why I am hyped for it.
Now, I like the first game, the story is amazing.
And the gameplay, whenever, like, I'm playing Last of Us right now.
And that's one of my favorite games now that I have played in years.
And I understand why everyone was so hyped about it.
I like, and I'm a big fan of Uncharted.
Because Last of Us does the same thing, I know it's naughty dog,
it does the same thing that Uncharted does.
If you're walking around in a circle like a moron like I do all of the time,
it goes, hey, hit L3 and we'll tell you where to go, stupid.
And that's what I do.
Oh, I got to go to the bridge.
in this in the first game in fallen order i'm walking around and i keep and and again last of us it
doesn't let you fall off cliffs i've tried and it doesn't let you fall off cliffs you fall off cliffs
every single it's like look how it's just it's like real life i don't do that because i'll keep
falling off cliffs or i'll keep fighting the same cow over and over and over again and it's like
just tell me where i need to go if i'm not doing it right and apparently this new game has
changed that and has made the maps easier and has done that.
If that's the case, I mean, I'm going to get it because I want to know the story more.
I want to learn about it, but it was just, I got so frustrated because I couldn't spend,
I can't spend that much time playing a game.
Like, Last of Us, I've been moving through it because I can get to it.
And if I get, and even if I get to a place where, like, and I had to do this yesterday for
the first time, I was like, I don't have enough time to explore what I need to do.
I'm going to go on YouTube and find the cheat.
And I found the cheat and I, and I dove underwater.
and I got the thing and I said, great.
And I just played the game for the rest of it.
And I couldn't do that.
It's like, oh, you got to do this.
I did that.
But now how do I find, I hope that they change it.
So I am looking forward to it, very much so if they've changed the gameplay,
which is apparently that they have.
So we'll see.
We'll see.
All right.
Next question.
And this is 156 impulse.
My question was, will we ever see Amanda movie to end the series?
I just woke up.
I mean, that's my, that's my hope, man.
My hope is that that's exactly what we'll get.
I've been saying that until I'm blue in the face.
I think what a way, I think that would have been their easiest thing.
If it depends on when they want to end the series.
Let's say that this, and I've said this a million times over.
So my apologies, apologies.
If I have.
Apologies.
Apologies.
Yeah, yeah.
Apologies, if I have gotten to a place where I've said this a million times over.
But if they announce it, the fourth season is the final season, once again,
tell me that when it's coming out, and then in December, whatever date it is,
let's say it's the 10th.
December 10th is the penultimate episode.
And then December 17th in theaters, the series finale.
And it's a two-hour movie that you shot knowing part of the budget.
Let's say the budget is $150 million.
You've planned it out that it's going to end the whole entire thing.
And it's going to be the movie.
And it's going to lead into the very end of it.
It allows new people to catch up on it.
It allows, I mean, it's a very popular series.
It's not like kind of like a, you wouldn't do an Andor movie.
I know that Andor is kind of a niche thing and gaining popularity,
but it doesn't have the same type of mainstream popularity that Mando does.
So I would love to see them close it out with a movie,
but I don't think they will.
Okay.
All right.
Jonathan Rodriguez puts in five,
and then he put in another five.
He said, sorry, my question, is there a level,
oh, where to go?
Shoot, sorry, I lost you.
Is there a level of fear that Asoka might not be a good show
or a disappointment like Obi-One?
I mean, I guess there's always a level of fear
when it comes to that as Star Wars fans, right?
because, like, you, I mean, for me, it's, I think that, uh, Obi-Wan was fine.
You know, it was fine.
There's just a lot that was wrong with it.
And the writing wasn't great.
And that's a bummer because I thought it was going to be the best.
I thought it was going to be just absolutely incredible because of the dive deep.
I thought it was right there for them.
And I thought they just kind of dropped the ball on it.
I feel that Dave Floney has a pretty good grasp on what he wants to do with Asoka.
And like I said, he,
brought it home every time he was supposed to with rebels
and knows the story he wants to tell him,
this is the next season of rebels.
I mean, it really is.
The other thing is he has just improved
every time he has directed a live action show.
Like the first episode of Mandalorian,
I believe he directed,
which was a really good episode.
The one with the Carnivali's kid is probably one of the weaker Mandalorian episodes,
but then he did another one after that, which was great.
And then he did the Obi-1, not Obi-1, the Boba-Fet one with Luke, which is easily one of the best Star Wars episode television ever.
So his directing has gotten just better and better every single time.
I'm pretty confident with the Asoka series.
I think that one's going to deliver.
I think this is the last one, unless, you know, someone else, I'll double check in a second.
But if somebody else put something in a moment, I'll refresh it.
Have you seen Linda Lofs to leave?
leftovers yes love it i've seen it i've watched all three it's better than dark i don't know about that
and dark is incredible um i love the leftovers i did i really did and my wife and i were very much into
it and i thought it was great very much my type of um show dark was just playing to me dark played with
time travel and all that type of stuff in a way that i just am fascinated with so dark dark was was was a little bit
more my show, but I love leftovers.
So I hope that Lindelof goes in this type of direction with this.
I know some people are kind of skeptical with what he's going to come up with.
And remember, he's not directing it.
The director of Ms. Marvel is directing it.
So, yeah, all right.
I'm going to do one more refresh, see if we got anything.
If not, then we can call it a day here.
And let me just double check.
Thank you so much.
That's it.
Okay, good.
Guys, you're the best.
What a fun show it was.
Well, I say that.
Hopefully you guys had fun.
Did you have fun?
I hope you did.
I hope you had fun.
I want to thank all my sponsors on today's episodes.
Make sure I'm going to put the links are already in the description,
but they'll be in the comment section as well.
So you can check that out.
Go ahead and comment about any of these things, by the way.
Any of these things that we have that we've talked about thus far.
And I want to hear your thoughts on it.
If you're brand new, if you're brand new to the channel,
make sure that you show just a little bit of class and subscribe,
just an ounce, that's all we're asking for you.
Do that.
Trying to get the Sith Council,
the first one sold over 100 items,
and you can do that.
And as we saw from one of the viewers here today,
if you're going to Star Wars Celebration,
get yourself a Sith Council shirt,
wear that with pride, because I won't be there,
so you'll be representing the show.
So do that.
Spotify.
This will be on video pretty soon.
So check that out.
And once again, everybody,
Patreon.com.
slash the Big Thing show.
You guys are really awesome.
I appreciate you joining me here today.
I was excited to talk to you.
I was able to do it.
And maybe, you know, I guess with Mandalorian,
it'll be tougher to do.
But I think that there'll be some times that we're going to,
I'm going to try the live show here and there.
And if you join me on it, that'll be amazing.
And then I'll be doing,
I'm going to try to do that really crazy live stream on one of these days.
But we got so much coming up.
Remember the Katie Sackoff interview was on Monday.
So don't forget it.
Set your clocks for it.
We're going to have some fun, baby.
All right.
Let's get out of here.
Sith Council.
Peace.
