Starting point is 00:00:00 All right. So now it looks like Star Wars News, man. Rogue Squadron. It might not be a movie anymore. Could be a TV series. Is that the right call? Speaking of Star Wars, look like Asoka is going to be happier in season two. That's a new report. There's some early reactions of Predator Badlands. I'm going to see that next week. I'm curious to what those are thus far. And Margot Robbie going to be an American Psycho. So this more. And of course, we got the great TV picks by Roxy Stryor. So it's myself, Roxy, Mike, Mike's late, but we don't care because I get to hang out with Roxy. And that to me is more important than anything else. So let's get into it. Here's the show. It's a Christian Arnold's show. It is Tuesday. I think so.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Yep, it is. All right, here we go. Welcome back to the show, ladies and gentlemen. Excited to have you here and joining me on the show is Roxy Stryor. Hello, Roxy. How are you? Hi. How are you, Christian?
Starting point is 00:01:07 How you doing? Fine. What's going on with you today? I'm just chilling. I'm hanging. But I'm... Chewling the villain. Yes, but I'm excited because right beforehand, I asked Roxy if she was able to... Just around 1.30 today, EST,
Starting point is 00:01:24 I have to jump out. Doesn't mean we're going to stop the show at that point. We have questions. Roxy has been generous, generous to say she would... She'll take off at 1.30. But it's for good reason, Roxam. I'm jumping. on a very special phone call at 1.30 regarding the pilot. Do you want to tell us?
Starting point is 00:01:46 I'll just say that I'm speaking to an actor. How about that? Is it a it's a phone or video? Foner. Hmm. So again on a phone call about that. Do I know who it is? You do, definitely. You definitely know who it is. And then I had a conversation with the director, producer, we're, I think, maybe a week away, if not more, about being able to say who they are. I feel like they even gave me that permission yesterday, but it wasn't sure. I know that I, I know I was allowed to say it in the emails when I was reaching out to people yesterday. Who are you reaching out to? There is a particular character in, I mean, you know the script. The character that plays my best friend and producer, I reached out to somebody about playing that role last night.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Via email. Via email. About just letting them know about the project and who was on board. I was allowed to say who was directing and who was producing this to incite. Cool. Insight, no. in incise is that the world what's the word entice
Starting point is 00:03:03 entice thank you I knew that was wrong when I was saying it happens to me all the time you just can't get there whatever just can't do it how are you doing I feel like it's a setup
Starting point is 00:03:16 no I want to know how you doing but your internet's not what is going what happens your internet's never a problem you know it is right now it's like you're glitchy I don't know what that is it's weird I don't know it happened the other night to me too
Starting point is 00:03:33 all of a sudden. You make sure that I'm on the right one, but I think I am. Yeah, I am. It's so hard when you live in a building and the internet, 9 a.m. is during, everybody who works from home now,
Starting point is 00:03:49 it's the time. So there's not much to, you can do. I pay the most amount of money that they will allow me to pay for internet. I know, no, I know you know. No, I know you know.
Starting point is 00:03:59 It's just, it's annoying. You'd never have a problem. Yeah, today is a problem. But it's annoying. it is because it's like that happened on my show the other day and they were like the whole time they were like you're just pixelated and it's like when you want to troubleshoot things there's there's only so much you can do it's like damn bummer i don't know real big bummed i'm fine
Starting point is 00:04:22 just fine you want to know what what is it's going to sound aggressive but i have been partying oh isn't that crazy no Why not? But responsible party? It's been like a decade since I've been like Porting. Responsibly party? Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 00:04:42 I'm having a true blast, Christian. Like, What's wrong with that? I'm having so much fun with my life right now. Um, it's just really nice. Um, odd to be like,
Starting point is 00:04:53 yeah, yeah, I, I, I mean, look, you've got it in you. We know that.
Starting point is 00:04:59 I guess. I guess I do. Are you, did you meet, have you been meet? any gentleman callers? Any gentlemen callers? Maybe not, but I did go on a third date last night.
Starting point is 00:05:12 How was that? This guy is just like an absolute rock star. He's awesome. Would I like him? Yeah, everybody would like him. He's the best. I don't know, I don't know about it like long term, but yeah. But you like hanging out with him?
Starting point is 00:05:31 Yeah, he couldn't be cooler. nicer or better. Yeah, he's such a good dude. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Any gentleman callers for you? You know who I talked to this week? Sorry to. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ask your question and run away from it. Sure. Yeah. Because I talk to your only gentleman caller, which is Brett. Mark. Oh, I was going to say Mark Ellis. Oh, that makes. I talk to Mark Ellis every week. Yeah. Do you know that? Uh, no, but I believe it. Yeah. Yeah. Mark and I talk all the time. But I talk to Brett, who I haven't talked to in like a year. Oh, good. And? And? I just said, Hello. Hello. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:09 All right. Well, we've stalled long enough. We can't wait for Mike anymore. What happened to him? Who knows? The shits or something. I don't know. Let's get into.
Starting point is 00:06:18 No, but knowing him, it makes sense. What did he say? He said, I got the shits. Oh. No, he didn't say it. But I would believe it. All right, listen. Rogue Squadron was a movie that Patty Jenkins was supposed to do.
Starting point is 00:06:31 They did a big announcement for it. they said, look at this. She got a helmet on. Look how much this means to her. This is our next movie. It's coming out in 2022. Just kidding. It's come out in 2023.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Nah, just kidding. Coming out in 2025. Nope, we're not doing this movie anymore. Just kidding. Putting it on it. It's still in development. Just kidding. Well, now no more TV, no more movie.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Now it's going to be a TV show, apparently. Nearly five years after Lucas film first announced the plans for a rogue squadron film, complete with a video of film, maker Patty Jenkins and a life-size X-wing. A new report suggests a project has undergone a major creative overhaul. The project was famously stalled for years. Jenkins leaving to do Wonder Woman 3, which was scuttled after the DC Studios takeover.
Starting point is 00:07:17 At last report back in March last year, Jenkins revealed she was back on the project, but it sounded like development hadn't even really begun. Since then, there's been little progress. Lucas from turning his attention more towards other projects like The Mandalorian and Girlgo. film next year and the currently in production Star Wars Starfighter. Now the Scooper, My Time to Shine Hello reports that Lucasfilm has given up on the project being a film and Rogue Squadron is being redeveloped as a potential TV series. Kathleen Kennedy previously indicated such a possibility a while ago, not totally unexpected. While Lucasfilm has multiple Star Wars film projects and development of president's TV slate is extremely thin.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Soca's season two, the animated mall shadow lord, both next year. after that. The only announced series is one from Carlton Kus, okay, and his son Nick Kus, Kuz, Kus, which was reported as being in development back in April, no details for what the hell that might be. Okay. So let's start with the idea. Let's say, you know what, I'm going to do a prediction, Roxie. Okay. What do you think my thought and opinion of this story is? Okay, well, down with Kathleen Kennedy. No, no, no, no, don't down with that. She should step down, but I don't think not down with that.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Come on, come on. I'm making a joke. Your opinion on this? Man, I really don't know. It's super bummer that we didn't stall long enough for Mikey to be here for a Star Wars talk. You ask me my opinion. I usually can predict. If you ask me a Marvel DC question to predict your opinion,
Starting point is 00:08:58 I have no idea how you could possibly feel about. this. Do you want to know how I feel about it? You think it's cool. Yeah, cool. I thought the movie would be good. I love Patty Jenkins. I have no idea what this is. And other than that, which I was glad you recap to the beginning. I was like, oh, yeah, that one, maybe your thought is no? I'm going to shock people. This is a great idea. Oh, good. Good.
Starting point is 00:09:25 This is a great idea to make this a TV show. The movie is in happening. It's not going to happen. There are so many more stories that you can tell inside of a rogue squadron TV show. It makes a lot of sense. It's built. It's built for TV. It's much better. And they're doing a Starfighter movie, now Rogue Squadron movie.
Starting point is 00:09:49 This would be an end. It looks like they're building off of that time period with Ray and or after episode nine, whether Starfighters after episode nine, whatever Simon, Kinberg's trilogy is going to be other movies. They're playing in that sandbox. Rogue Squadron takes place in the same Skywalker era that we've been in. Leave that for TV. Leave it for TV.
Starting point is 00:10:12 I think it really makes sense to turn this in TV and give it a Battlestar Galactica type feel. Don't make it like a Soka. Don't make it a cartoon. Make it an actual, make it more like Andor. And make it like a, you know, an absolute like Star Wars. make it worse rogue squadron making the top gun the pilots going everywhere and having nothing and
Starting point is 00:10:35 give us our one protagonist introduced us to another one build up these characters who are the people i don't know this is a known not in this one not in this one um but i love i think this is a very smart idea i think they looked and said look we have a lot here we don't want to scrap this all together can we build this out more so they actually did like the opposite of what they did with Mandelorian and Grogu and Moana, they said, this is a movie, but maybe it could be more. Maybe it could be a TV show. And they did. So what you're talking about, just looking at says, I would, I don't know how you said it could be
Starting point is 00:11:14 right. When I see that word, I think Q's because like Syracuse. Yeah, I have no idea. You're probably right. But Carlton Ques and Nick Kuse, I didn't know that Nick did Station 11 and Watchman. I think you probably saw Watchman. Did you see Station 11? No, I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Station 11 was like the world's bleakest show. Super duper dark, bleak. Really, really good HBO intense show. It was a lot of people's favorite show of that year, even though it was a little more indie. And Carlton, the dad did Lost and Jack Ryan. So their two combined forces feels like action, dark and gritty stuff. Yeah, but they're not doing this show.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Only announced series is from the Cuson. Yeah, that's another. It's a different show. That's a different show. That's a different show that we don't know what it is. Okay. Well, that show I'm excited for because they've made good shows. Maybe that's what they're going to do.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Let's get hopeful here. I mean, I think people aren't wrong when they say like a lot of times when you cover Star Wars now, it's kind of like, well, everything stinks about it. And they haven't given you a lot of kind of root for, but maybe this is the turnaround. Maybe they're saying, all right, you know what, we have an actual plan now. And we're going to make this series. We saw what we did and what we did wrong with the Acolyte and Asoka and nobody watched skeleton crew. Nobody that, but and or maybe that's our television stuff. Maybe we still do the fun overall stuff with the bombastic Star Wars.
Starting point is 00:12:57 We still put that in the theater and we do that. But our TV is now where we explore and try to actually get nominations and those things. But as you mentioned, what do you mean? Financially, does it make sense to do shows as big? One series, I think one series, it, let's bring, Mike is here. So let's, let's bring, let's bring Mike into the show now. So where is Michael Kalinowski? There he is.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Mike Kalinowski, ladies and gentlemen, hold on. We got Mike and Roxy. Happy belated birthday. Yeah. Thanks, guys. Your camera today looks excellent. So I still in pixels? Yeah, you look.
Starting point is 00:13:42 My camera is the same one I'm always using. I think I have the ring light at a different place now. Please do that for now. This is the best you've, this is the best it's ever been. It looks great. It's my birthday. I turn, you know, old man, and it's just life is all roses now.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Looks great. Looks great. I'm, I'm impressed. Are you impressed with this news? I don't know if you saw my report on it, but I said, I think this is a good idea for them to turn this movie into it. I don't think Patty Jenkins is going to be involved in it, though. I will say that. Oh, the Rogue Squadron thing.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Yeah, they're going to turn it into a TV show. I think that's a great idea. Right? Yeah, that's a great idea. You kidding me? Like having a weekly top gun type. Right. movie and Star Wars with like cocky young pilots and all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Yeah, man, do it. That's what I thought. I was like, yeah, that makes, to me, because I think people were going to expect me to go, oh, here they go again. Because even when Luke sent me, like, I don't know what they're doing. I said, I don't, I don't know. This one might actually put together. This might make sense to actually do this.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Sounds like a good idea. I think so, too. I'm on board. And what do you guys think, Roxie? I'll start with you. Like, because, you know, they did in 2022 do this big, um, video with, Patty Jenkins about how much this meant to her. Is she going to be doing TV or do you think that no, she's not doing this and they're moving on
Starting point is 00:14:59 without her? Oh, man. I feel like it would be, it would behoove the show if she would work on it. But it's, and I believe Patty Jenkins came from the world of television. If I have that right, somebody correct me if I don't. Okay. But I, yeah, I think she came up. her Michelle McLaren, I used to get them confused back of the day because of the stuff they were working on.
Starting point is 00:15:24 So I think that Patty might have come from the TV world. Is bottles a show? Is that a show called bottles? I never know whether you're trying to trick me or what, but if it's a show, it's not one that I know. No, no. Someone said, no, someone said battles and I don't have my glasses on. Do you guys, can I, can I, before we even continue? with this. I doubt that you guys did, so I want to show you. Did you see what happened with me and
Starting point is 00:15:58 Roka on yesterday's show? No. Oh, my God. Mike, you're going to love this. Simon's section. Mr. Roka. A, such a nobody, nobody, only me and you got that reference. He knocked off. Oh, my God. My hope. Willie Lohman took you out. It was the best. I said, I made a Willie Loman joke and he didn't, he loved it and no, I was like,
Starting point is 00:16:29 no one else got it. And he slant the whole place went, went down. It was pretty great. Everything came down. I looked it up. So she EP'd the show betrayal, and then the show called Exposed and then the show called I Am the Night.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Or no, is, yeah, a show called I am the night before, uh, Wonder Woman. So, yeah,
Starting point is 00:16:49 she, she does have a TV background. I don't know. that she would do this. And a lot of people are iffy on her writing. I think that Patty Jenkins would be such a benefit to this show. But whether that's next in her career or not. That would be nice thing.
Starting point is 00:17:06 Yeah, whether or not she wants to do TV, right? And whether or she wants to do Star Wars TV show. It would be. That would be interesting. I mean, look, even if you look at it, welcome to Derry and he muschietti, at least directed episode one. I don't know if he does if he does the second one, but he's, you know, he's bouncing back and forth.
Starting point is 00:17:22 A lot of people are bouncing back and forth to TV. So I love to see it. I think it would be great to have. She looked very attached to this. But nonetheless, I think this is a really good idea. I think it's smart. I don't think it also, you're allowed to build, you can build characters out in this world and do the same type of thing you did with Andor where maybe somebody who you know shows up.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Maybe they don't. Maybe it doesn't really matter if you build it out or nothing. It's written well. But don't do the Dave Faloni cartoonie. writing. Don't do that. We get real writers on this thing, build it out, do 45, 50 minute episodes, and develop stories and characters and put it in that world. And don't just, oh, we got to have a big battle now instead and just cut out all the scenes with the development. That is where you get Asoka Season 1 and Boba Fett and all that crap. Get away from that and start to actually
Starting point is 00:18:16 develop and bring in real writers. So going back, just just checking that as public. news. Yeah, Andy Mochetti did direct the first two episodes. First two, okay. Okay. Have you seen both, Roxy? Hmm. You're not allowed to say. You can say that you saw the second one. I don't know. You don't know if you saw the second one? I don't know. It's not, there's no embargo on that. Who's to say? That's a, as you say, it's a bizarre take. Bizarre take. Yeah. Really weird.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Yeah, no, super weird. Who really would say? Now I get it. There's like a movie that was coming out in like three months. This episode comes out like two days from now. Yeah, no, that's crazy. That hell is wrong with you. That's wild.
Starting point is 00:19:09 All right. Well, I am going to watch episode two today. But I'm talking about episode one. And you can't even talk about episode one? No, I am going to do that in TV picks. So you have seen episode one. One, yes. Have you seen one?
Starting point is 00:19:27 I have seen one. We'll talk about it. Interesting. Hot take. I have a hot take that I saw it. Yep. I kind of like this, this, whatever this is. So I'm not going to tell you what I think is happening.
Starting point is 00:19:40 I think Roxy thinks the show sucks and can't say anything about it because she doesn't want to, you know. It's rare. That's rare. That's rare that she. What not. So I think Roxy, that's no one Roxy in her TV picks and the way she's here right now, I think she thinks the show sucks. No, no.
Starting point is 00:19:55 I just genuinely. I never know. I watch it, but I had to watch it. I have, like, very intense contracts where I just, like, never remember what I'm allowed to say. Well, I'm, I'm pretty sure that you can talk about it chapter one, chapter one, but, but nonetheless, oh, you get. I don't know if I saw it. The reaction, well, the reaction for part one would have come out already. Were you on the reaction for that?
Starting point is 00:20:19 That one I know I can say that I saw. But you were, and you were on. on the reaction. I was there. Okay. Then you clearly did episode two. Anyway, I don't know what's happening right now, but what I will tell you is that what I do know is happening potentially is a rogue,
Starting point is 00:20:34 hey, get out of here, you guys. It is a Rogue One series. Nope, that's not happening either. But a Rogue Squadron series might actually happen. We'll see if it's going to happen. The question that I have and everybody has is whether or not Roxy saw it. Welcome to Derry Chapter 2.
Starting point is 00:20:53 I wish I knew. You don't know. So let's get into another Star Wars story because there's more. There is more. And today, as we just mentioned, and I had mentioned, Asoka. Well, Soca is going to be, I don't know if you guys know this, but Asoka is actually going to be in Asoka Season 2.
Starting point is 00:21:19 Yep. It's a breaking scoop. She's going to be in it. But apparently the scoop is that she can be happier, whatever that means. She is going to be happier. And are we going to be happier with a happier Asoka? Well, let's find out. Expect a happier Asoka in Sesson 2 of Asoka.
Starting point is 00:21:43 Look, they have her smiling. I haven't seen the first one. Are you about to spoil it for me? I don't know yet. Okay. If you do, I'll tell you. I'll tell you. Yeah. Don't just don't look. Hold on a second. Are you marking down that I ruined the time code? Are you just going to write something? Are you letting the person know that you're ready for the meeting? Yes. Okay. Earlier this month, production wrapped on the second season of the Star Wars series of Soka and the new run marking the sole live action Star Wars series to hit the Disney plus.
Starting point is 00:22:22 streaming service next year. New seasons of eight episodes, all written by Dave Filoni, will deal with the consequences of the initial run with several characters trapped in an entirely different galaxy on the planet Peridia with the Exile Thrawn. He has made his way back to the main Star Wars galaxy. Rosario Dawson, who plays Asokitano, along with Iman Espati, as Ezra Bridger,
Starting point is 00:22:47 both popped up at Scotland Comic Con recently, where Dawson says, despite the dire circumstances, her character was left at the end of the first season, expect a more joyful version of her in the new run. But she had more of a strong gravitas in the beginning, and she was a little bit more unflappable. And I'm like that she's relaxing. She's kind of getting back into her joy. I think those moments with Hayden and Anakin were so important for her to heal something so she could be more present. And that's what I'm really enjoying.
Starting point is 00:23:11 I think we get to explore that a lot more in the second season. I'm really glad that we get to add more joy into her life and see her relax a little bit more and work in the community a little bit more than she has. comments follow on from some made the other week to collider by mary elizabeth winstead who plays hera and says the big change for the next season is she's not only more involved but gets much more action and i'm not sure what i can say other than i'm in this season a bit more which is fun i'm definitely in on the action as you say quite a bit more which was great to have a hera really like you know getting some stuff done so yeah i honestly i'm not going to say much more than that just because i've not been given my guidelines yet i'm going to leave it at that but it was so much fun i just finished it was a blast I love the every minute of it. Can't wait for people to see it. The second season of Soga is set to air on Disney Plus sometime, 2026. Okay. Again, Roxy, what do you think my opinion is of this story?
Starting point is 00:24:08 Good. Very good. You think my opinion is good? You think I think this is good? Well, I think if I recall, you weren't the biggest fan of the first season of Asoka. I was at when I watched it, initially. I really liked the first two. And then I didn't mind it the first time I saw it. And then the more I thought about it, the more I started to look at some more episodes, I said, this is
Starting point is 00:24:33 really poorly written. So that would make me think that you like this because switch up. You're right. I do like this story. I do. I like this story, Mike. I think that for not just the switch up, because what it allows us to do is that that's how Asoka was when she was younger in the, Clone Wars era, like you see that kind of joyful side of her a lot. Aren't we all like that when we're younger? Totally, 100%. 100%. And to see her be able to do that and change it up a little bit, that will be interesting
Starting point is 00:25:06 and to have Haramore involved. But my note for the previous stuff still goes here. What I do like about what they're doing with Asoka Season 2 is they're getting away from just the volume. They're going on real locations, which is great. I hope that we don't get 25, 35 minute episodes and I hope we just don't do
Starting point is 00:25:24 I'm going to do a live action version of rebels. It does not transfer. You have to develop your characters, write your characters, don't just rely on the big set pieces and Monster of the Weeks. You've got to develop it. But Mike, do you,
Starting point is 00:25:40 what do you think overall of this entire? It's funny, listen to you talk, man. Like 25 with three, four years, ago, you would have been like, yes, live action Rebels. This is going to be awesome. Like, and just to show that it did not work.
Starting point is 00:25:59 I'm trying to remember Osoka. Was that like the show when Ezra was on the planet with the beard, like Jesus? Don't tell me. Oh, yes. No, no. No. You're not watching it at this point. That was four years ago. I am. I'm literally about to watch it. She's going to watch
Starting point is 00:26:15 it before a season two comes out. Yeah. All right. Well, You're not missing anything with, but luckily, I don't know anything you just said. It's like, she'll like it. I think Rocks feel like the show. So, so, okay, so Rock. Asra has a plant with a beard. Yeah, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:26:31 You won't, you won't remember. Maybe you're out of, no. But Harlov, you were, you knew this story pretty well, you know, rebels, this and that. Yeah. I was somewhat. So Rocks are coming in blind. So it'll be interesting. Maybe you will have a much different opinion than I did.
Starting point is 00:26:45 I, I like her as the character. Like, when she popped up and. Mandalorian. It was great. Yeah. I enjoy her as the character. I just don't know if I want to see her with those characters. Like I'm like, I'm just hoping.
Starting point is 00:27:00 It didn't do anything for me. I'm hoping that he realized, you know, that he's got to change things. And I really hope he actually developed it more. And like, you can't write live action television like you write anime. You just can't.
Starting point is 00:27:14 Otherwise, you just get goofy shit that doesn't play. And I, And I hope he changes it. The fact that he wrote the whole season definitely makes me nervous. Definitely makes me nervous. But, Roxy don't really, I mean, you haven't seen season one. But I feel like you love Asoka, though, right?
Starting point is 00:27:32 I did. I really. And I love Rosari Dawson. I don't know why. It's very odd to me that this was the one live action Star Wars show that I never watched. It's the only live action Star Wars property I've never seen. Why? And it's Asoka.
Starting point is 00:27:46 That can't be a good sign for them that I'd probably. should be their target demo, right? Like, casual woman. And the fact that you still haven't gone back to it, yeah. And I still haven't gone back based on every week hearing from Steph, you guys, just like, eh, eh, eh, it's hard to like jump on board for Star Wars, which is I'm more casual with and people being like, this show's okay. I never heard anybody say it's the biggest stinker Star Wars ever did.
Starting point is 00:28:15 But it's just, it doesn't see. I almost would be more intrigued by that. that. No, it's a live action. It really is a cartoon. They just, like almost AIed into live action. And it just doesn't play.
Starting point is 00:28:27 That's good. That's a good analogy. Right? It's just like, yeah, just it doesn't, when you compare, I know that it's,
Starting point is 00:28:33 it sucks to do it. But when you compare it to like, oh, well, that's, you look at Andor, you go, oh, that's what you really could accomplish. Imagine if you had that tone,
Starting point is 00:28:40 because I see some people in the comments going, well, Andor isn't really what Star Wars is. You couldn't be more wrong. But even if you feel that way, even if you feel that way, imagine that tone with the stuff happening in Flononi's world. Like if you still took all the stuff
Starting point is 00:28:56 the Flonnes doing but yet filmed it like an adult and you could actually, you know, make some really good stuff. We'll see. I'm curious in season two because I like the cast and I really hope. They said sometime in summer. Okay, so I have a little time to catch up. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. what you think. We'll see when it comes out. What do you guys make of Soka's season two? Do you care? Do you not care? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. And we're going to get to some more topics before you. Starting point is 00:31:08 Somebody said that Mike, someone said they love the Dave Filoni gatekeeping. I don't think he's gatekeeping. Star Wars. someone said they said they love Dave Colony gatekeeping. He said he's the Seattle Cato said that the Dave Flonny Star Wars Gatekeeping is palpable. I wonder why he does that why he thinks that. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I don't think he's like I don't think I don't think he's it's well I mean look at what you said like how you talk like you know he does you don't know for like with and or his views on Andor and whatnot and it's interesting to watch the change. I'm curious if there's other people that feel the way you do
Starting point is 00:31:42 where you used to be Poloni taking everything. Holy pro. Yeah. I'd say, what, four or five years ago? Yeah. We're doing, doing SIF counsel. Like, you were pro. I wanted them to.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Yeah. But the proof is in the pudding with what comes out. You're just like, oh, his sensibilities lean into a different. And there's a place for his Star Wars, 100%. But I think. I'm telling you, he's such a very, he's such a talented artist and he's such a talented animation guy.
Starting point is 00:32:12 They really should put him back in in charge of that because there's so many great stories to be told and animated and you can do so many different things. I mean, like a Star Wars show in the in the vein of like arcane or something like that. Oh my God. I would love to see it. But he would be he would do such a fantastic job with it. But yeah, him hit if I'm telling you though, dude, he winds up running that freaking company. Um, all right. Let's get let's get into something else. And so. There's new news, ladies and gentlemen, and there's new movies coming out. One of those new movies is Predator Badlands.
Starting point is 00:32:52 Well, their first reactions are in for Predator Badlands. I have not looked at this yet. Not check this out yet. Let's see what he says. Early Predator Badland reactions are in. Dan Tragergerger's Predator Badlands just had its world premiere in the UK with the first social media reactions going online. Reactions are quite positive. Plenty of praise for the performances.
Starting point is 00:33:14 and the film's direction. Love that. Some of the most interesting comments, however, come from the more softly positive reviews. Those suggest the film takes a few risks with the franchise, trying a number of new things. Some of them work, some don't, but it certainly clears like it's trying to be its own thing, rather than nostalgia play, aiming to recreate the original. Sampling of the Reactions. Predator Badlands is friggin' awesome. Vent of action, organic comedy, story I was fully invested in.
Starting point is 00:33:38 Tragerberg continues to push all the right buttons with this franchise. Impressive. initial Predator Badlands thoughts, absolutely a dark horse adaptation, fans of the wider EU will get a lot of enjoyment out of it, leaned heavily into the adventure fantasy angle and really showed the genre bending flexibility of the Predator Love Deck and this dynamic, absolutely adorial fanning and Demetrius was fantastic
Starting point is 00:33:58 and Deck genuinely looked great. Don't think Predator One, Preder2 Purist will be on board with this though. Uh-oh. Predator Badlands is a cosmic buddy road movie and it's all killer, no filler. Dan Trachever smartly maneuvers the franchise to a grander scale
Starting point is 00:34:17 than just another survival horror. It might not be as traditionally gory, but I had a blast with it. Does anyone else I know? I'll do one more. Dan Trashever's Predator Badlands is an epic spectacle. It takes us on deep dive into
Starting point is 00:34:30 Yatusha mythology. More sci-fi epic than a traditional predator film. It takes some big swings. Don't always land. Despite its bold approach, legacy fans might be left disappointed. Okay. I don't know what that necessarily. necessarily means.
Starting point is 00:34:45 But what are you doing there? So, I don't know, Roxy, here are you going to see this? I feel so bad because I feel pretty well-versed in a lot of things. And I've never seen the Predator movies. And I'm a casual Star Wars girl. And lo and behold, what news breaks today, but two Star Wars stories and this Predator story.
Starting point is 00:35:07 So I understand that I think that people probably aren't interested in my take on this. Mike maybe has better luck here. Okay, fair enough. That's honest. Mike, you know, so, yeah. Did you see Prey? Yeah, I did. Love it. Me too. And did you watch the animated one that they just did? I did not.
Starting point is 00:35:26 I heard it was, so Trachshenberg did all of those. He did pray and then you did this. And from what I, I haven't heard a single person say anything negative about that animated thing. They say it's just incredible. I need to watch it really before I even check out Badlands on Monday. But I will. I, um, this is encouraging. most of it is encouraging to me.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Most of it. What about the part that's like not for purists? That's the part of it that I, that's not encouraging. Because I, part one, I love, part two, I just watched again. And it's, it's a product of the 90s. It's fun, but it's, it's goofy. But what does that mean? The buddy thing is interesting.
Starting point is 00:36:04 I say exactly what it means. Sure. They're going to want to see a predator that doesn't talk that just hunts a prey. Like that's, so they're talking about messes with the mythology, messes with that, like the purists. So this seems, like I said, as a buddy, like he talks in this. Like he, he has full sentences instead of just kind of mimicking what he hears other people say. So I think it's, you're torn because it's like you want to, everyone wants more predator movies. But at their core, they're coming to a human planet to hunt human.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Like you can only do that so much. So I think there's a lot of people like, well, just, I want to see it set in feudal Japan with him coming back. But then we get prey all over again. And it's cool. But you can only do so much with the predator, you know, whether he's a young predator or he's an old predator coming to Earth to hunt a human during a certain time period. So this seems like they're telling you from his perspective instead of the human's perspective. So that's a change. So I'm on board.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Like anything that enhances the mythology. but does it well. Like aliens versus predator. Yeah. When they set up some interesting things that were a little bit too much, I'm like, yeah, I like Tractonburg's very much
Starting point is 00:37:25 streamlined version of what they're doing. Yeah, I mean, look, so even though I haven't seen he animated from what everyone says, it looks like he's two for two in this franchise. Seems like he gets it. It seems like he's taking some shots. I'm interested to see where he goes with it, because I would much rather,
Starting point is 00:37:40 and I'll tell you, if it's a good movie, and they take swings and go out, outside of the normal for purists as opposed to what Shane Black gave us. I was just going to say that. Right. That was what he did to expend the mythology. Like, oh, we're going to focus on the humans. And we're going to build a suit that the predators built for the humans.
Starting point is 00:37:58 The fire of the predators. Like that was like, that's building a mythology. The fact that you remembered any of that movie is impressive. Like, oh, dude. And then they were going to team up with the predators and the predators were going to be in like camouflage military outfits. It was like, no, no, no, no. I don't especially the fact that he was in the first one.
Starting point is 00:38:15 I thought he would get it. He didn't. And I love Shane Black, but he did not get it. I would much rather see someone take a shot if it's a good movie. So I'll have my out of the theater reaction for that. I think it's on Monday. I believe I go see that movie.
Starting point is 00:38:27 So we will go and I'll let you know. Did you like 10 Cloverfield Lane? I feel like I did. Was that the one with John Goodman? Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. I feel like I like I like that movie. I don't really remember it too well.
Starting point is 00:38:42 That's his only one that's not in the franchise, right? That's his only thing people know Dan. Trasperg? Yeah. I mean, he's good. You know what you like about him? He seems to like making movies. Like, you look like he genuinely likes it.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Was Trekkendberg, the guy, God, had him in almost 15 years ago, now where he did that portal short that got a lot of attention. Was that what got him on the map? I don't know. I don't think it was. The pilot of the boys. Oh, did he directed the pilot of the boys? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Wow. Wow. He's good. I like Tratterbury. So I mean, I'll be honest, in the same way that Travis Knight is, has revitalized or hopefully revitalized He-Man or did really good for Bumblebee. Still my favorite live action transformers. I feel like this is what Trachshenberg could do. And this is kind of my overall point.
Starting point is 00:39:27 That was my point. I don't know if it was on this show when we were talking about the franchises that are dead. I think it was on this show. That like nothing is truly dead. Right. It was on the show. Yeah, nothing is truly dead. And it showed because Predator could have been knocked into the ground and could have been a
Starting point is 00:39:42 really bad shape, especially after the predator or whatever the hell of the movie was called. Now this, now it's got some life in it again. But like you say, like what they did was smart. Like, I'll bet. I mean, they clearly they didn't have a lot of, I don't want to say faith. That's not a very word in prey. They put it on streaming, the mantle of the pandemic. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:58 But people, right. Like, but at that thing, what, 30 million maybe Amber Midthunder who is phenomenal in that movie. Right. Wasn't a big star. Mm-mm. And it just made a badass predator flick. Yep.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Like that you don't need a huge. But I will say this. This movie seems like they back the trucks up with the cash and said, here you go, here's alien planet, here's CGI. So I'm just like, I'm hoping he's keeping, you know, what he loves to do and how he likes make movies and keeps this kind of grounded. That grounded in the sense of like fantastical, but just doesn't let the budget get away from him and overboard CGI. So hopefully, I would think after two films, this guy, people would give him a little more faith and a little more goodwill because he seems to know. what he's doing with the predator i think that they do i think people i mean it's actually for people who watch the animated i think definitely do because that's where
Starting point is 00:40:50 i when i was talking him up about prey people like well you should see what he did with the animated because he really gets it um and i'm i got to check that out i got to check that one out so i probably do reaction to that one because i've never seen it so i saw like the first i saw like the first like five or ten minutes they're like they're a bunch of different shorts or something from what i know and i like what they did i saw a picture they they tie in Schwarzenegger and Janie Glover. Right.
Starting point is 00:41:15 They're into that world. That's what I heard. I want to see. Did they actually use Arnold? I think they're just like a like a montage of what happened to them. Come on. Or something. At the end of it?
Starting point is 00:41:27 At the end of the animated one? Yeah. Did you see it? I don't know. No, but I don't know. Oh, did Arnold as actual show up? Do you want me to answer the question? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:35 You said you're going to react to it. It doesn't matter if he's in the, shut you mouth. Come on. Shut your mouth. You didn't want to tell me? I'll save it for you. You want to save it.
Starting point is 00:41:45 Okay. I do so much editing for the real reject stuff that I feel like I know when you guys are talking. I was like, yeah, I know about all this stuff. That's fantastic. It's fantastic. I tell you what's fantastic. I tell you what it's fantastic.
Starting point is 00:41:59 You want to see Lulu? Come on. No, it's whiskey and Lulu. And I tell you, your hair is fantastic, Mike. Whatever is it's going on with your hair today. You should do that every week. I put a little bit of schnapps in it. It's spanked up a shnows. apps. We'd like to speak to Michael
Starting point is 00:42:12 Kane. I'm going to make a phone call. Hello, Michael. How are you? Hold on a second. How do you work this thing? I don't know. You got all the buttons. A lot of you used to have when it used to do the flip flown. Right. Here we go. Could you hear me now? I'm very much sorry. I heard you the first time when you're
Starting point is 00:42:31 working in the phone. I heard it very good. I actually can see you now because they have the things there where they throw up the stop it. When they throw the video and I could see your face and it's almost like a Nolan movie. I didn't know if you want to see my face on the video screen, because I could put it on here.
Starting point is 00:42:49 If you do see it, you let me know. Okay. I see it. I see you here. Christopher Nolan is calling again. I told him I'm retired because I'm but he turned 100 years old. But if he had a script, and Christian Bayer wanted to come back to do another one of the Batman films,
Starting point is 00:43:03 I'd come back for that one. I believe Yoda is here too. Yoda, how are you? She's not paying attention. She's not paying attention. man from the Star Wars films. She's not paying attention. Jack, oh, I did now, just.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Yoder was poisoned last night. You guys lost me, and then I heard my name. Yeah, I know. You just do not. If you don't, you're not even on the bit, you don't even sit. You just go to Mars. Yeah, because I was accused so many times of ruining the bit that.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Now it's part of your, now it's the bit to ruin the bit. No, I didn't ruin it. Ruinner, I did not. He was right. He had a stroke. It's fine. Stroke had not. Hey, is Owen Wilson here today?
Starting point is 00:43:52 We got Owen Wilson here. Wow. He's also in the, he got his foot caught in a bear trap. This is there. Oh. I have another friend here. Hold on. Wait, listen. Let me get them on the phone.
Starting point is 00:44:07 You want to say, I had the mic. Hey, Willie! I went to Melmac. You know what I was doing? I was trying to look up the YouTube video from yesterday to see how many Roka got because you didn't tell us. Oh, that's right. I couldn't find it.
Starting point is 00:44:28 I believe, and Luke can correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I gather, 74 is what it was. Oh, you weren't here. I was. I was. I just, it blends in.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Luke, can you give me a confirmation that I believe it was 74. I feel like you're not promoting. that people should send in questions anymore. They already have 22. They already at 22. You guys have 22. Roke had 30 by the time the, by the time it started.
Starting point is 00:44:54 So it was over 9,000. I said, hey, Willie. Let's get to. Hey, Willie. Let's get to, Mike, did you hear the story? After that whole thing, I did a bit where I found out after we did our show and I kept pushing up with Willie.
Starting point is 00:45:14 do you know that the actor who played Willie physically fought the doll? Wait, the Willie, like the old man? Yeah, he physically fought the doll because the creator was just off and he was just like, fuck this doll. Yeah. The creator, the creator was so adamant about that everyone on set and even if he was going to do hosting things,
Starting point is 00:45:37 they had to treat him like he was a real alien and not a puppet that they built like trenches and stuff to him. why the season was why they didn't re-up it and why there hasn't been any Alf movies and stuff and the actor was so upset he physically fought the doll do you know how much money i'd pay to see that footage like can you imagine going to work every day you're at your working actors and then one day you're going to be starring with a fucking puppet and that puppet takes over like it'd be it'd be like reginal bell johnson and urkel like that move show yeah but no but urkel's real but irkel's the Star, can you, like,
Starting point is 00:46:14 but to know you're coming to set every day in the Al, the puppet probably gets the bigger trailer, but he gets the better trash service than you have to, but you're told you have to address him like he's real, you can't, all that, it would drive you nuts. Plus the fact, if I was, you know me, if I was the creator and I
Starting point is 00:46:30 saw him physically fight, I would be antagonizing Willie forever. Hey, Willie, you got a soft right hook. Hey, Willie. Hey, Willie, talk about a soft, self-paw. Jesus Christ. What was that? Willie, you hit like the cat.
Starting point is 00:46:45 Anyway, all right. We got one more story here. We got that. We got two pussies on the set now. The cat and you. That's good, Mike. Hey, Willie. We'll go to Melmac.
Starting point is 00:46:56 All right. Let's. I have something to tell you guys. Hell yeah. Go ahead for a girl. I have a movie coming out in theaters, November 25th. Is that the one that you worked on? Yeah, the Cape Beckinsale movie was announced yesterday.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Hell yeah. You can talk about it. Nice. It's called Wildcat. I'm in it. I love that. It's hitting theaters and VOD. And I'm very excited.
Starting point is 00:47:19 It's like with Lewis Tan. It's a really cool action movie. I have a little role in it, but. But still are you a role in the list. All with Kate, which is cool. I love that. We will be watching that for sure. I love that for you.
Starting point is 00:47:36 Thanks, man. 85 is what I was confirmed with Roka, by the 805. 85. Okay. So we're going to have to really up our game here. Yeah, yeah. So let's do a quick story. Then we're going to do TV and then we're going to get to the question. Because like I said, I got to bail at 130. So I want to make sure that you guys are able to do all this. So let's do it. Let's get into this last story here. And that is this story about Mark Go Robbe. I know her. You do? Not personally. Just saying like I'll be able to talk about this story. Okay. Well,
Starting point is 00:48:12 here is Margot Rabé. She's leading a new American Psycho, question mark. Arguably, the wildest film-related rumor in a few weeks has emerged over the weekends in regards to filmmaker Luca Gagnanino's upcoming film adaptation of Brett East Nell's
Starting point is 00:48:28 novel American Psycho. British tabloid the son is reporting that the challengers and call me by your name director wants to gender swap the main role of Patrick Bateman and that Margo Robbie is in advanced discussions to start in the project. Such change would certainly differentiate from the film from the prior
Starting point is 00:48:43 and highly acclaimed 2000 feature starring Christian Bail as a notorious yuppie serial killer. The original work follows an image-obsessed of a Vincent Banker who leads a double life as a serial killer. Lucas Version features a script by Scott Burns and was already said to be a total reimagining
Starting point is 00:48:59 of the source material with a shift away from horror satire towards a more colonel take. But Anino is presently occupied with artificial, a feature tackling Sam Altman and Open AI for Amazon, which is targeting release next year. Amazingly, nine years ago, Robbie herself spoofed the 2000 American Psychofilms, famous introduction sequence in a video for Vogue.
Starting point is 00:49:21 Deadline reports the film won't be gender swapped and it's a non-starter. Well, that was the whole story. So wait a minute. I know you just read this whole thing. It's bullshit. The whole story. is bullshit. Well,
Starting point is 00:49:42 there's really not, what are we talking about there? Do you guys think that would be a good idea? That would have been interesting. I think she could, well, I think there's a better question of could she have pulled it off.
Starting point is 00:49:51 The answer is yes. She could have pulled it off. Whether or not are people accepted it or not, I don't know, but she could have pulled it off. But, you know what? Just kidding.
Starting point is 00:50:00 At that point, just pull the article. You know what I mean? Yeah, they think they're more right than deadline. It's the whole article. I mean, I don't think,
Starting point is 00:50:08 I don't think that they scooped it. They just reported it. And they said, but I understand why. That's not a shot on Dark Horizon. I'm sure there's tons of, tons of places that, that did that, you're coming for G-Man's neck right now.
Starting point is 00:50:20 I know, but no, no, I understand why it's up there, but it's like, the whole article is, well, she's going to do it.
Starting point is 00:50:26 It's the rumor. And by the way, they say it's bullshit. Well, they said that it's BS, it's a gender swap, but that doesn't mean that they're not doing this reboot. Right,
Starting point is 00:50:37 but it means that she's not. going to be in it. I don't know. Starring in it. Yeah. Right. So, all right, good story. You got excited for Wuthering Heights? What's that? Are you excited for Wuthering Heights? I don't know if that's the word.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Okay. But curious. I mean, again, I like her. I don't know about the, what's the guy's name? The, the Lordy. I don't know if I'm on board with this guy yet. To me, it feels like this is your next movie star. I hate when they do that. I hate it. I saw him in some movie recently with Will Poulter and Daisy Edgar Jones. And I thought he was fine at best. Have you seen him in other things? Is that a movie or you're saying other things?
Starting point is 00:51:21 No, no. Like did you see him? Obviously, you didn't watch Euphoria. No, that seems to be everything. Sydney, the same thing. Yeah, that's where he came from. He was also in Priscilla, Saltburn. Did you see him in any of that?
Starting point is 00:51:34 Oh, he was in Saltburn. He's the guy in Saltburn. that isn't I changed my opinion I like that kid he's good I changed my opinion he's good you know he's really good so all right I changed I changed my opinion he's good he's good he's good okay listen it's so important in life to just change your mind sometimes yeah yeah hey listen hey Willie all right let's get to I'm for TV it is time good picks this week rocks yeah there's a lot of good ones a lot of good ones so let's get a TV. First one,
Starting point is 00:52:13 wherever the hell it is. Where is it? I'm looking. Oh, there it is. I see it. I see it. I caught up on slow horses this week. I was three episodes behind. I think there's been five episodes. It might be my favorite season yet. This show was a slow burn for me. It took me a while to get into. Once I got into it, it's just so smartly written. Really, really well-written show. Every time that you think you know what's going on, that is not what's going on. And so I love the twist and the turns.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Gary Oldman's nominated for this every year and should be. He makes the show. He's such like a crazy character. They've made him like a curmudgeon who smells like crap at all times and doesn't care and treats everyone poorly but is the smartest person in the room. He's interesting and he makes the show. It's great. gotta watch the show. Everybody talks about it.
Starting point is 00:53:12 Yeah, it's really good. So I can't remember who asked me recently. Someone just asked me about I'm watching a diplomat. I said, Roxy talks about it all the time. Yeah, so I finished it this week. It's on Netflix. All the episodes are out. Season three was the best season of the show so far. I think I said last week that if you liked West Wing and are willing to go a little more soapy than this is for you, it's like a more dramatized version. Carrie Russell is such a great leading woman. She is is so interesting in this. Where we end, while I love the season so much, where we ended the season, I'm like, wait, what on earth?
Starting point is 00:53:51 It's a bit of a cliffhanger moment. And I am concerned and excited for season four, but this show could run for seven seasons, and I think it would do well every time. I finished, nobody wants this. Last time I talked to you guys, I had seen the first two episodes. It all dropped on Netflix since then. I binged through it in one night. because this is such feel-good TV.
Starting point is 00:54:15 And even when you're kind of worried, oh, oh, are they going to, is this going to be more of a drama than a comedy? It always hits you with the good stuff. I think that this show does a really great job of dealing with a lot of different types of relationship issues. And as I've mentioned many times, shows about Jewish joy make me really happy right now.
Starting point is 00:54:35 This is definitely a top 10 show of the year for me, was last year, is this year. I love it so much. Michelle Wolfe had a new special called The Well. Do you know her, Christian? No. Wow, I actually think you'd really like her. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:53 I do. The comedian, I like her. In the nicest way possible, Mikey, I meant does Christian know, no, no, know her? Oh. I'm not cool in those circles. Yeah, I got you. Just like stand-up comedians.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Yeah. But I remember, I've been out of the, I've been out of the. Totally. I just usually I do a stand-up special. I ask you to know the person and half the time you do it and half the time you don't. But Mike, what do you think of her as a, as a me,
Starting point is 00:55:22 as a fan? Are you into herself? She's very funny. Yeah. She's really funny. She's super solid comedian. And she just gave birth at 37. And this special is about her not knowing if she wanted kids and giving birth anyway and making it a home
Starting point is 00:55:39 birth. And it's very, it's very funny and as somebody who you know is 34 and going on that later in life child track possibly I
Starting point is 00:55:52 thought that it was really well done I very much so enjoyed it okay wait rocks you're hold on a second here save it save it Mike can you hear well I got a question I'll save it I'll save it
Starting point is 00:56:04 hello boss this is the show that was this is part of the Hasman Hotel, Hell of a Boss universe by this creator Vivian who did these YouTube. This is a huge YouTuber who was making the shows on YouTube and then sold them to Amazon. And then Hell of a Boss is now on Amazon. And I just watched it for real rejects.
Starting point is 00:56:32 And I realized I haven't talked about it on this show. And it is so good. I'm honestly personally, I prefer Hasbin Hotel. That doesn't air yet. and we'll come out next week and I'll probably talk about that next week. But Hell of a Boss is such a great spin-off. Technically, it came second, but really people saw it first. The premise of these shows is that basically we are living in hell.
Starting point is 00:56:57 And the Hell of a Boss, they have a service where they're imps and they go to put hits on people based on who's hiring them. And it's animated, raunchy, gory, super strange, so much fun, sometimes musical show. They do such an incredible job with it. And if you love Has Been, then this is a great side piece to it. Well, here's the last one. It Welcome to Derry, which I definitely have seen the first episode of, is a show. It's a great question. Everybody wants to know.
Starting point is 00:57:40 It's popular. question. Anyway, this show came out and spoilers on it. Welcome to Derry episode one. Full spoilers because I really like this episode.
Starting point is 00:57:55 The beginning of it is grotesque. I mean, truly disgusting. Yeah, it is. And the end of it made me so bummed because I was like, wait, you guys introduced me to a bunch of characters that I wanted to see. And then you... I'm with you. And then you off to all of them. I'm with you.
Starting point is 00:58:11 And so that was such a bummer to me. And so I don't want to say I didn't like it because I thought that the episode was so well done. Yep. But I felt really, really conflicted after this one because it was like, I'm on the same page. I'm on the exact same page. Really? Okay. So does that make you excited?
Starting point is 00:58:31 I know you said you were watching episode two later today. Does that make you excited for episode two? Makes me curious. Curious. Yeah. That's exactly how I felt. It's just like I kind of trust you guys, but also like, Why did you do that?
Starting point is 00:58:42 Why did you make me like these people? Why do you? Yeah. Make them all dirt bags or don't introduce them to me or don't do what you do. Or wait. Or wait. Right. Or wait.
Starting point is 00:58:52 So I saw mostly positive reviews for this and I understand why everything's very well done. Right. It just. You and I just didn't like the creative choices. Yeah. Sometimes I don't like to be toyed with. Yeah. And this show felt like it was really toying with us.
Starting point is 00:59:07 And I was like, okay. Okay. Yeah. All right. you go. So there's Roxy Stryorke. Let me ask you something, Roxby and the TV girl. Did you, I mean, I'm late to the party on this, but did you ever watch righteous gemstones?
Starting point is 00:59:21 I only watched the first, of the first few episodes. Like my dad's favorite show, so I've seen a little bit of it. But I hear that I have to. I hear it's one of the funniest shows ever. This show, like, and again, I was late to the party. I only knew it because of all the gifts and memes of Walton Gagans. But this show, holy Christ. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:59:42 That's awesome. I really, really want to, you know, one time I matched with a guy on a dating app, and he said that it was his favorite show. And I said, oh, I haven't seen it. I watched it for a few episodes and kind of fell off. And he immediately unmatched with me. And I thought that was the funniest thing that ever happened. Pretty funny.
Starting point is 00:59:59 What? All right, listen. So that's Roxy's TV picks. Make sure that you check them out. Roxy, check your text. And thank you very much. All right. So we are now going to get into some questions.
Starting point is 01:00:14 The goal right now, okay, as I said, the goal is 85. They're currently at 30. Roxy, I'm going to without, obviously, I have to leave at 130. I have to leave at 130 because I have a phone call. So we've got to send them in fast. You got stuff for Christian. Get in now, baby. Roxy, can I show you who my phone call is with?
Starting point is 01:00:38 Yeah, you're going to show me publicly. Oh, yeah, yeah. Text. to your text. Oh, you told me this was like your dream. So I'm getting on the phone. I'm getting on the phone with that person today. So.
Starting point is 01:00:52 Very cool. Fingers crossed. Very cool. I mean, that would be really, really cool. Did they know anything about it so far? Just who's directing it and who's producing it. And I think that's why I got the phone call. Who's on the call?
Starting point is 01:01:05 Just me and that person. Okay. Let's get Mike, did you read the script? Not yet, buddy, boy. That's why I didn't send it to you. I did. I'm sorry, a little bit. Shut your mouth.
Starting point is 01:01:20 Muhammad Hassan has become YouTube member. Thank you, Moham. It's awesome. I'm glad that you did. I appreciate that. Hey, Mr. CJ, Roxy, have you reached your goal number for TV shows? I'm on track. I'm at 111 right now.
Starting point is 01:01:32 So I was trying to do 10 a month, so I'm actually over. However, one of those shows on here is Alien Earth, which I didn't finish. and I don't know if I'm going to finish. I only put shows on here that I finish. That's fair. But yes, I will definitely hit my 120 goal. I want to do 121 because last year they did 120, so I want to be hit.
Starting point is 01:01:50 That's crazy. DJ Tomcat, I was having a discussion about the title for Shelby Oaks. Do you believe having an interesting title would have helped the movie appeal to the norm? I didn't see it yet. So I can't tell whether or not the title was, look, it doesn't necessarily say what it is. When you hear Shelby Oaks, it could be anything, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's a good or bad thing.
Starting point is 01:02:12 What's wrong with the title? I think there's been, I've seen quite a few people say that the title itself has, not, wasn't as inviting to what the movie was, but that, again, you have to see the movie. I haven't seen it yet.
Starting point is 01:02:26 Okay, me, me either. I feel like Shelby Oaks is a cool title. Yeah, I don't, I don't know enough about the movie yet to say whether it is, but I don't know. I'm assuming it's a place, Shelby Oaks. Yeah, I think so. I think so.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Mike Joyce, Amazon Prime Marketing sucks. I just learned that has been Hotel season two drops tomorrow. Season one is amazing. Is it what you just told you? Maybe. Do you agree with that, that their marketing isn't great? I don't want to shred them, but 100%.
Starting point is 01:02:53 But I also feel like we're having a marketing crisis at the moment in general because people don't watch commercials the same way they used to. So I find it very difficult. You know, you drive around L.A. It's the same two billboards that are on every single thing. I don't know about other places, but how do you guys like Mike and Christian, How do you guys even learn that something's coming out nowadays? Well, whether it's, if it's movies or TV?
Starting point is 01:03:15 If it's TV. You. Yeah, like there's not really, it's usually you have a friend or a me who is excited about shows and researching them. It's not like things just pop up for me. No, unless it's something like huge, you know, like House of the Dragon. It's a very weird. Right, right. But even some people were like, oh my God, what?
Starting point is 01:03:35 That's already here. Max does a good job of promoting their stuff. they have a good job of letting you know that that stuff's coming out. I guess. Better than most. Even, um, you know that I love Apple. It's my favorite network right now. But at the same time, I, they've just started doing mailers.
Starting point is 01:03:52 And I think that that's great because social media is kind of the way you find out about things now. Yeah, 100%. Absolutely it is. Um, all right. Bulldog 3108.7. This may have been talking about before. But Mike, what are your thoughts on Tom Hooper from Dark Wolf Terminal list for James Bond Batman or another DC hero?
Starting point is 01:04:12 Thomas, he's so, he's a big guy. He's like chisel, he looks like one of those statues. He's like chiseled out of marble. Like all of them. Like in a t-shirt, like he just like is sculpted. Like, so I don't, he's a big guy. So for Bond, I don't know if he blends. And there's a scene
Starting point is 01:04:32 in Dark Wolf, you remember, they go into a club undercover and they're in tuxedos and he stands out. Tom Hopper. He's like, this is a gorgeous looking dude that's muscular.
Starting point is 01:04:45 Oh, right, he was an umbrella academy. Okay. Yeah, he was the big guy in umbrella candor. Do you feel like about him
Starting point is 01:04:50 the way you feel about Alan Richardson? Like, but Alan Richon's like this guy has a very, um, he's got this great accent. I think he's Australian.
Starting point is 01:05:02 He's very good. He's very subtle in his acting. But they're so big these guys. Like Tom Hopper is, I think he's like 6-5. Like they're so big. It just kind of. It pigeonholes you into what you can do. Like Alan Richardson, like, I know they're, he's not going to happen.
Starting point is 01:05:22 But for Batman, it's like, you put him in a suit. And people walks around as Bruce Rain. I'm like, oh, there's Batman. Like, it just doesn't work. You have to. That's what I said to. I think he's very good, but I don't know if he could play bottom. He's British and he is 6-5.
Starting point is 01:05:35 Wow. Yeah, there you go. A. Rago. What music artist doc movie would you want to see? Guns and Roses. I just wore Guns and Roses shirt. I would love to see Guns and Roses. I really want to see the next chapter, Bruce Springsteen.
Starting point is 01:05:50 Me too. Do you still think he's going to get nominated and win? I definitely think he's going to be nominated. Have you seen the buzz around the movie since it came out? There's not been a lot of buzz on the movie. Wait, what? I'm in a different circle then. You're in a way different circle.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Yeah, it's been, the movie. over the weekend. It's been, it's been, it's been, it's been, uh, for what it,
Starting point is 01:06:11 for what it was. It did, it did, really? Yeah, did poorly, unfortunately. I was,
Starting point is 01:06:15 well, that's, I know you were. That's crazy because, um, cost $50 million to make. That's the problem. And what has it made?
Starting point is 01:06:24 Um, and that's before marketing, obviously. Let's say, box office, Moja, right now, Springsteen has made.
Starting point is 01:06:35 They made 8.9 over the weekend. It's made 15.15. Like I'll say this. After you guys talked about it last week, this week, there's been no buzz on it. It seems like it's dead in the water. This is why it's so confusing to be a person who's alive today because I put out a video about Bruce Springsteen and I have gotten, uh, it's gotten like maybe 50,000 views on it. And so many comments and DMs and messages and like nonstop people are talking about it to me. So I thought it's crazy.
Starting point is 01:07:06 It's in the circles that, and this isn't to be offensive to you, but the circles that count as far as nominations and things go, it has not been, it has not been a thing, unfortunately. I think he's going to be nominated. Yeah, I hope you're right.
Starting point is 01:07:21 Timothy Chalemet seems to be like you said, a front runner to win. Leo, too. Leo's got a good shot too. I would be so stoked if Jeremy is nominated. I think that it'd be really cool if Jeremy Strong was I would like to say that I think that's possible. Unknown.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Shout out to Tony in the chat for blocking me for saying my farts smell like eggs. Wait, what was the answer to that from Mike? What was it? Which musical artist you want to say? Oh, right. Me? Poor fart on that. Oh, God, guys.
Starting point is 01:07:52 Tom Jones. That's a good one. Roxy, what did you say again? I want to see the next chapter of Greece. I would love to do that, too. I will say this. I really want to see this Neil Diamond Jack, cover band singer movie. That looks so good. It'll be fun. Shout out to Tony
Starting point is 01:08:09 the chat for blocking me for saying my farts smell like eggs. Now you have to see my name on screen. Anyhow. Hi, Roxy and Christian. Thank you, unknown. This was sent probably before you came, Mike. Maybe. A. Rago, how much longer do you think they're going to run this Jurassic Park franchise? This is an easy answer. At this point, do you think they should reboot it? Maybe start from the early beginnings, maybe make it a series. Unfortunately, look, what I would love to see is, say, as I've said this many times, a $60 million Jurassic Park, more horror type when give it all that big marketing that you give it because it's Jurassic Park. But you guys keep showing up to see the movie.
Starting point is 01:08:45 This movie made almost like $800 million. So they're going to keep making these fart pieces just like this because the more and more time as you go and you see it, they're going to make, well, they're going to say, well, if it ain't broke, why are we fixing it? So I think they're going to make it for as long as they keep making any, if that movies keeps making more than $700 million worldwide. They're going to keep doing it. I didn't see this one. How weird is that?
Starting point is 01:09:08 I mean, you didn't really miss anything. It's just the first Jurassic movie I haven't seen. Yeah. I heard an old interview with Tarantino where he pitched his Star Trek movie that would he would do. It sounds amazing. Do you think they would ever go that route? I thought that they were actually contemplating that one point and then this went away from didn't you remember that. There was that Tarantino moment where he was like the last movie I'm going to do is Star Trek.
Starting point is 01:09:28 He talks about in Clyder Live, I thought, right? Yeah. I think that that would be so interesting. Yeah. It might not be good, but I would love to see it. Be interesting. Yeah. Go pal.
Starting point is 01:09:40 I was a big fan of Roke Squadron novels in the EU. And maybe that's, maybe that's what they finally do, Go pal. Maybe that's what they finally do when they take their novels and they adapt their novels, at least a few of those novels and turn it into series. They'll finally do it. That would be amazing if they did that. It would be so smart. but I don't know.
Starting point is 01:10:00 They've had the opportunity to do that for a while. He also says, I like Rogue Squadron as an ongoing series, so you get more time with the pilots. In the books, it was Luke's old squadron now run by Wedge. Yeah, Mike, do you think if they do this,
Starting point is 01:10:10 they bring back Wedge? Old Wedge? Well, no, no, no. I think that went to... I actually, I think he passed, but... No, but you could recast Wedge. Yeah, it depends on when they said it. I mean, is it current day?
Starting point is 01:10:23 Like, is it going to go along with... Like, because, you know, we don't know what Ronne and Dawson's character is it. Oh, no, no, I think... No, no, Rogue Squadron is is in between like the Skywalker era. Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, if it's Rogue Squadron, you got to have him. That's what I thought, right?
Starting point is 01:10:38 Part of the team. Right. I think they recast. But again, I don't think it's a big, that big of a deal. It's not like he was solo where it's just like. Right. Yeah, I think they recast everyone. Porkins will be in there and all those guys.
Starting point is 01:10:49 That'd be great. Armada, the last frontier show is dope. Which, which one's the last frontier? That's this one. I told you about last week. Oh, right, right, right. the one you told me about last week. Is it pretty good?
Starting point is 01:10:59 Roxie, you liked it a lot too. I haven't checked it out yet. Oh, okay. Which is surprising. It's the number two on Apple right now, so I will. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:08 It's just, I haven't gotten there. Go pal. Mopping up the Imperial Women after Jedi is when it takes place. Okay, so that would be interesting. Brandon, what's not Brandon? I think Rogue Squadron being weekly
Starting point is 01:11:18 is an awesome idea. I hopefully, hopefully we get an indoor level writing in production. He's saying the same thing as we are. Maybe season one could be around Return of the Jedi. in season two could now follow older pilots where the show ends with the Battle of Jacko.
Starting point is 01:11:31 That'd be cool if you went that many seasons. Like you could, that's kind of, that's the opportunity you'd give yourself if you do, if you do something like that. Wouldn't you agree, Mike? Oh, go, rocks. Good. Didn't Andor lose a lot of money? Not necessarily. I mean, look, wasn't it like the most expensive show ever?
Starting point is 01:11:48 Yes, but you, no, no, no. The fart piece with the, the accolite was like $230 million. Oh, I thought there's way more than that. I thought Andor was like. No, because Andover was over the course of two seasons, the amount of money that is spent. Right, but still, wasn't it $600 million? I thought, was it really? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:04 That could be wrong. It just looks like money was more well spent. But they got, but they got, but they got, you know, in the same way that, look, I said this many times over, one battle after another. That movie is going to lose money, but it does the job overall of what it needed to do. It's going to be nominated for everything. It'll probably win a bunch of stuff and it'll probably give them a lot more opportunities, bring in more money because of it. But it's not going to make back the money that it cost in the theater. It's just, it's impossible.
Starting point is 01:12:30 It costs $170 million to make. It's probably like overall, let's say, let's be on, let's be fair and say 250, 260 overall is what they would have to make. So 650 was the and or budget over the two seasons. 650. Okay. It's expensive. But yeah. So when somebody says, I'm hopeful we get an and or level, you can't do that with every Star Wars movie.
Starting point is 01:12:53 You can't. No, but I think he means more so with writing. though, too. You could still be less expensive with better writing. It's writing in production. So for sure, the writing part, the production part. Tough. It's tough, yeah. Tough. But you can still make
Starting point is 01:13:07 things look better than just relying on the volume, but I agree with you, Rocks. Brandon Summer says, and I don't blame you, Christian, for not being as high on Star Wars now as you were before. There's plenty of praise, but there's also much to be down on. Yeah, I mean, look, hopefully this is the turnaround period. Well, that's, that's always the fingers crossed.
Starting point is 01:13:24 Johnny Petraza. Whenever I hear Foloni, I think of shit rats. Oh, that's sad. Dave Filoni then comes back in and says, don't F with me, Christian. Your ass is grass. I'm sorry, dude. I used to be a big fan. I am a big fan.
Starting point is 01:13:39 I don't know what that means, but just want him to feel supported. That's fair. Okay. I got to leave him 15 minutes. Dave Filoni also follows it up and says, George told me he wants four more soccer season, so we're going to do it. Each season's going to have a $300 million budget. Take that, you bastard.
Starting point is 01:13:53 Hey, you're your company. Do you want to do with it? That'd be wild. Yep. Okay. RQM, DSMD. Support for Roxy. Happy belated, Mike.
Starting point is 01:14:04 Thank you. Perfect. Okay, 42. Trying to catch Roka. Can they do it? Oh, my God. Send in birthday wishes for Mike. What's wrong with you?
Starting point is 01:14:14 J.B. Bonifacio. Enjoyed your Demon Slater vids, especially for episode 19. Thank you. Yeah, we finished it up. Winston and I wrapped up yesterday. We'll have the season one. wrap up on Saturday, episode one of season two on Sunday, and then we're going to watch the movie next week. So, um, get ready.
Starting point is 01:14:34 Okay, 42 as we continue on down the road here, Johnny Petrizzan. I knew you're going to do that. Christian, do you know much about where the One Piece story goes? Are you keeping yourself in the dark? Totally in the dark. Have you watched the show yet, Rocks? Mm-mm. Oh, you'd love it.
Starting point is 01:14:49 That's right here. You would love it. So it's- Are you watching the animated One Piece? Mm-mm. I'm not gonna watch the anime. a lot of action. Yeah, I don't want to know anything about it. I just want, I'm going to go in blind because that was one of my favorite experiences. Isn't they animated have like 700 episodes? Oh, yeah. I wouldn't really able to do it. Shea Markell, a house of dynamite. It's gotten mixed reviews, but I thought it's pretty damn amazing.
Starting point is 01:15:07 You guys interested in a great cast. I started watching it last night. This has nothing to do with the quote. Rebecca Ferguson. Oh, it's the Pentagon Missile movie. Yeah, yeah. It's a Catherine Bigel. Oh, yeah. So I, I started watching all the send. This has nothing to do. with the quality of the movie. I started to fall asleep, but I was exhausted. I was exhausted. I couldn't keep my eyes open and it was like,
Starting point is 01:15:30 but I was interested. He was just, Alba was playing the POTUS and you didn't start with that. You know he's my dream man. I first of all, you don't see him. At least, at least where I am,
Starting point is 01:15:37 at least at the time, I'm 20, I'm 25 minutes into it. You don't, you don't see his face yet. It doesn't mean you don't see his voice. That's hot. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:15:45 but now that you say it, I have to go back and look. But I've got, I'm going to finish it tonight. I, I was enjoying it. I was locked in. Oh, Gabriel Bassos in this. Yeah, and Anthony Ramos also.
Starting point is 01:15:57 Yeah. Yeah, there's a big cast. I mean, that's what I really liked the night agent. Yeah. Catherine Biglow for sure. And that, between that, there's another one I want to watch to the, what was the one, the Stephen King one that came out with Loki? What?
Starting point is 01:16:12 The one that came out with Tom Hiddleston. Shoot, life of Chuck. Life of Chuck. Oh, I really want to see that, too. Mike Flanagan movie, right? Yeah, yeah. I find again Stephen King. Yeah, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to check that out.
Starting point is 01:16:25 What's the Stephen King Loki thing? Yeah, right? It's like my dad or my mom. Lila Bosch, became a YouTube member. Thank you, Lyle. The Sink Lord. Roxy Q when she tries to do the Arnold voice. Oh.
Starting point is 01:16:40 Oh. That is good. I like how you confuse yourself. Like, wait, what voice am I doing? You're like, oh. Well, because sometimes my Arnold start from the same. please. And I, so I have to say, it's kind of like when I want to do Boston accent, I have to be like,
Starting point is 01:16:54 oh, wicked fucking piss. And then you start talking. When I want to do Arnold, you got to be like, I'll be back. No, no, no. You start with, no, you start. After that, you say, thank you. I'm so cute. Trying to give you a lesson here.
Starting point is 01:17:06 The best way to get into Arnold is just start with, come on. Come on. No, not, no, not like, not like you're about. Oh, my God. It's, come on. Come on. Come on. Stop this.
Starting point is 01:17:20 Come on. Please, come on. You're trying to wait too hard. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. We're going to move on now.
Starting point is 01:17:27 You're going to move on now. Matt Krugman. I can't remember of Roxy said she saw Rebels or not, but I feel like knowing that the show is very crucial for Soka season one. Lots of people, problems going into it was being lost on previous lore, just YouTube or Spark. I mean, that's what that's what Mike had a big issue with. No, I haven't watched any of the Star Wars animated shows. Yeah. Yeah, then I wonder, you know, it's curious.
Starting point is 01:17:47 Oh, you're going to be interested, Rox. rocks this was fun you like the first two episodes though mike remember did i yeah we saw it in the theater and you you you you dug it i like when mike said that i was going in blind and i feel like i go in blind to a lot of things and if it wasn't possibly offensive to people i think i should have a show called going in blind yeah yeah today rocks like well yeah today today you would get come on like like i think that's a great idea I understand where you come from, where you would think that. And it's very good that you as a person think that.
Starting point is 01:18:25 I would think that's like, that's a great idea. My brain doesn't go to that. But because of our generation, you have already positioned to go to others like that. So. I'm just like really out here not trying to upset anybody for things. Well, Johnny Patrice is congratulating you for your movie. Oh, thanks.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Dude. I'm really excited. Me too. It's cool to like, I checked out the, the trailer. Oh, is the trailer out? Are you in the trailer? No, no.
Starting point is 01:18:53 But I, and I talked to the director and producer and I made the cut. That's what I know. Of the trailer? No, no. I made the cut of the movie, which, you know, I've been cut out of movies before. So I'm really excited about that. Good. And they said that I was great.
Starting point is 01:19:09 Like, they did great job. So I'm, again, don't expect anything huge. It's small role. But still, it's amazing. I'm in it. I love that for you. Beckinsale. It's amazing.
Starting point is 01:19:17 I'm so excited to see it. Dennis Hoffman. Hey, Christian, you worked in development. Snyder has T's Lucasfilm, has tons of projects in development. For every one they announce, are there three and five in development? They can be more than three and five in development.
Starting point is 01:19:28 So when you work in development, there's like, I remember when I worked at Silver, I literally right next to my desk, there was a shelf with tons of scripts. And a lot of them were in active development, like development, no development. It was like, okay, that's a script that we own, that we could put in development with one call to a writer.
Starting point is 01:19:43 It depends on how many projects they own, what they're going to do, how many different meetings they have. You can have somebody come in and go, hey, we want to do a thing about Mace Window now. Oh, you do? Well, you just, oh, shoot, Fincher wants to do a Mace Windew thing. All right, great. Well, let's start talking about it. So now it's in development because they're talking about it.
Starting point is 01:19:59 Doesn't mean it's ever going to see the light of day, but it's in development. So, you know, the tons of things can be developed. It doesn't have to just be three to five. It can be anything. Mike Joyce. Christian, would you recommend Splitsville to Roxy and Mike? I think so. I think so.
Starting point is 01:20:13 I think Roxy would like it. I think Mike would like it too, actually. It's, there's a lot of it. it that I didn't like, but there's a lot that I did. It's a screwball comedy. I went into depth about how the guys made it and all these different things, but I would, I would, I would say Mike would probably get a kick out of it.
Starting point is 01:20:30 You went into depth about how the guys made it, like on the show you did? Yeah, how they made it, um, how I found out that they made it pretty, I put it together pretty quick when I saw one of them was married, when one of them was married to Adri Arjona in the movie, one of them was married to Dakota Johnson. I was like, who are these guys? Like, oh, I was like, they had to have written and directed this. Michael Angelo Cabino is in it and he directed it and wrote it. Oh, got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you'll, you'll, you'll see it and this one guy, he's very proud of his penis and he shows it three times in the, in the movie. Is the movie good? It's funny. It's funny. And it's interesting. It's interesting. I think you would like it. I watched a movie last night called Creep. Have you guys ever seen that? Which one? With Mark Deplas? No. No. It was made for $500. It's a found footage movie. It's on Netflix. It was really good. I was like, what the hell is happening here.
Starting point is 01:21:21 It is, it was so interesting. I honestly think you would make a, for a good reaction, Christian. I don't know how it would perform. You'd have to see if somebody's done that. But I was like, what the fuck is this movie? Yeah, I just sent you in a text about what you just talked about. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:39 So the Lil Yankee support for Arnold, Michael Kane, Yoda, Alth, and Roxy in the movie next month. Good luck on today's call. Thank you, Lil Yankee. Okay, next one after that. We got six minutes for me, six minutes for me, but Roxy is going to take over. What are we going to do with your six minutes? We're going to read these questions. Good.
Starting point is 01:22:04 Dennis Hoffman, thoughts on Sheridan leaving Paramount for uni. Oh, it's right. Yeah, we talked about a debt yesterday, but apparently it's for like a billion dollars. Now that makes a lot more sense. Lioness and 1923 are outstanding. Hope we get more films out of him. Yeah, I mean, made a lot of sense. He's got three more years.
Starting point is 01:22:21 Yeah. The Paramount. So he'll finish line at season three. But yeah, that's it. I wonder what made him change. Money, a billion dollars. Huge loss for Paramount. Massive.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Huge. Massive. Like, he is Paramount. So let me ask you this. So, so guys, here we are. Yes, we are. From Paramount.
Starting point is 01:22:45 Paramount's now trying to buy Warner Bros. Like, what's going on over there? I mean, maybe they're losing this. But maybe they're saving their money so they can put it towards Warner Bros. Because look, here's the thing. Roxy, I said the same thing yesterday and you couldn't be more right that it's a massive loss for them. However, if they buy Warner Brothers not as big of a loss. It's a loss, huge loss, but not as big of a loss.
Starting point is 01:23:08 Yeah, I agree. It's the only thing. As the TV girl, if you said to me, what is on Paramount, I would say Sheridan shows. Right. Oh, 100%. That's their whole thing. Well, it's the extent of it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:20 Greenie from Oz. Good day, Christian. And folks, hard to be here on Audios LOL, but sending love me. Hail Australia. Thank you, Greenie. Greenie, I hope you're doing well, my friend. Appreciate that. I love back.
Starting point is 01:23:33 Yep. Okay, we got 52 right now. Go pal. I fell off breaking bad after three episodes when it was first airing, then came back between the two parts of season five and caught up by the finale. It's still one of my favorite shows of all that. I'm so excited for Pluribus. I'm going to the premiere of that.
Starting point is 01:23:50 that's great. Is it Apple? Yeah. Oh, that's great. Yeah. Yeah. Have you seen any of the marketing for this? No. They're being super cagey and coy about it.
Starting point is 01:24:00 Like Vince Gilligan's new show, Pluribus. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know you know, but just saying the people. They're like, the description is. I'm listening to you, Roxy. I know, but this is amazing. Yeah. Go ahead, Roxy.
Starting point is 01:24:13 The fuck what is out? Keep talking. Keep talking. Keep talking. It's fuck what, something about. How about. Yeah. Okay. What was that, Mike?
Starting point is 01:24:25 What were you talking to? My co-worker came in and he's going to upset. So I was just saying, good morning to him. I wish he had good morning to my coworker. Is that okay? No, it's not. All right. Greeny, tension, Roxy, I'm struggling to finish alien Earth also.
Starting point is 01:24:40 I love the first two out of three. Eps with the silicone human element, but after that, it just seemed real flat. I didn't finish it either to be honest. It lost its buzz by people, so I just don't know if I'm going to get to it. I thought I would, but I don't know. Mike,
Starting point is 01:25:01 what do your co-workers think you're doing right now? Yes, what do you think I'm doing right now, Brian? They want to know, they say, what's your coworker think you're doing? And he goes, is that your superhero stuff you're talking about?
Starting point is 01:25:12 I'm like, yeah, pretty much. Yeah. They watch the show. They've watched the show. We even talked about superheroes once. talk. What do you say we can hear?
Starting point is 01:25:21 He says, I'm telling you what he said. He says, I'm longingly singing the praises, wrongly singing the praises of Afflick as Batman. Oh, he hates Africa's Batman. Oh, okay. All right. All right, listen, we have three minutes here. Ryan, wait, wait, three minutes, three minutes.
Starting point is 01:25:40 Justin Siddarski, Christian, you ever thought of a band of Brothers reaction with someone hasn't seen it? I doesn't remember to tune into it. I would love to do that. It's one of my favorite shows of all time, It's like, man, listen, I just put the running man up with Steph, which is a great movie. And like 8,000 people watch it.
Starting point is 01:25:53 I've been probably anybody watched it. I was so bummed. I love that. What is it good numbers for a watch along then for you? 20 to 30 and up. You have to find like it with if when Masters of the Air dropped, then you dropped her back. I read the same time. Right.
Starting point is 01:26:07 Right. But if there's no reason, the algorithm is just like that off. Who's not turning into running man? Come on. I know. I know. Hey, light bulb. never seen that is at all.
Starting point is 01:26:17 Yeah, yeah. I am the running my. Renetta W. Como are my gent? Just checking in, y'all, hello, Reneta.
Starting point is 01:26:27 How's everybody doing? And more importantly, we're brushing up on our Spanish for Bad Bunny Super Bowl takeover or nah? I never watched the, well, I shouldn't say never watch it, but I'm,
Starting point is 01:26:34 I use, that's usually when I'm either shooting reviews or reactions during the halftime for no matter who it is. It's usually my family who's watching the halftime. My Spanish is very well. because Duolingo and how they're,
Starting point is 01:26:47 very good, thanks. So, I mean, I like it. He's very talented. You all a CSE. Nice,
Starting point is 01:26:55 nice. All right, go pal. Hopper was Billy Bones on Black Sales. Great show. Never watched that one. Never watched.
Starting point is 01:27:03 Pirates and shit. Yep, pirates and stuff. All right, let's see. Next one, Go, pal. Also, Sam's brother on Game of Thrones.
Starting point is 01:27:12 Oh, interesting. Okay. Good to know. Renetta also says... Dickon. I remember Rickon. Which one was Dickon? Look it up. A question for you. Excited to see Fookew's vision for the Michael Jackson movie.
Starting point is 01:27:24 But imagine a Fleetwood Mac biopic. Ooh, the music, the mess, the magic straightfire. That would be good. See, the Fouqua one, I really wanted to see, but then apparently they made him change the ending. So I don't know. I was going to originally say Fleetwood Mac, but there was that show, Daisy Jones and the Six, that really scratched that itch.
Starting point is 01:27:41 So I'm not clamoring for it as much, but I would die for that. One of my top five favorite bands ever. I think that I read, my favorite band, read on chili peppers would be really interesting too because if you've read the book Scar Tissue, you know Anthony Keita said,
Starting point is 01:27:54 crazy life. Sorry, go ahead, Christian. I got to hand the show over to you. So long, farewell, good luck on the call with him or her. I might pop back in if it's a short call, but I'll, uh, I hope it's long that it's going well.
Starting point is 01:28:09 All right. There you go. All right. Oh, that's you. Uh, thank you, everybody. and let's do this hold on and get rid of well I'm gonna make it yeah there we thank you it's a good word
Starting point is 01:28:22 oh shit now I got a big my room yeah okay what nothing just going along with the rocks I got a big what nothing rocks just not everything needs it's like okay great Logan Logan Missyak Frankenstein might be the best film this year
Starting point is 01:28:39 in my opinion I haven't seen this yet have you Mikey no I have not but I really want to Yeah, me too. Actually, Jacob Allerty is in this, right? Yeah. Christian's favorite. I think people are saying for Bond. They're talking this guy for Bond, too. Jacob Bellorty? Uh-huh. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:54 What do you think about that? I don't know enough about him to know. And this, I don't think Frankenstein will sway me one way or the other. But for me, it's Guillermo del Toro and Frankenstein. Like, I'm just, that's a no-brainer. Yeah, me too. Mike Joyce, Emma Stone really shaped her head for Bagonia. and looks stunning.
Starting point is 01:29:15 Would Roxy and Mike ever shave your head? It's a little different for the two of us. I bet you could pull it off like she did. Mikey, have you ever shaved you? I've never. I've always worked, like the work I've done in like the theme parks for like 25 years now is always, I've done some role that needs hair. But Shannon has always said that.
Starting point is 01:29:36 What's up? They dictate that. They say that. No, like if I'm playing like Norman Bates, I have to have hair or, you know, but Shannon she is always said I she's like I will kill if you ever get to do a role where you're like the military and you have to shave your head she's like I would love to see it I think I'd look I think I'd look awful with a bald head like a shaved buzz cut wait I'm trying how how would I go about seeing oh yeah I see it no you would absolutely rock it that's not true Mike yep yeah you would look really good with a shaved head I think it's awesome we'll see maybe someday i mean i'm not against it i was talking to step sub bra about this this week actually because for some of you guys who don't know i'm i have been losing my hair for a year i'm on like a really horrible hair loss journey um and it's really stressing me the fuck out and i've
Starting point is 01:30:31 lost over 50% of my hair and it is like i couldn't even tell it's been a nightmare and i've I've been taking neutraful now and I'm seeing a little bit of progress and really hoping that it works. But she was that we were talking about it. And I was like, I'm just not confident enough to shave my head. Like if I booked a role, of course, then you have to do what you have to do for the role. But betches who shave their head are the hottest women in the room. And they have. Do you say betches?
Starting point is 01:31:01 Betches. Betches who shaved their head are so hot. I just don't have. Is that like a funny slang of bitches? Betches? You've never heard betches? Never. Roxy, I'm 51 years old.
Starting point is 01:31:14 Where do you think I've heard betches at? Me. Steph. No. This is my first time you... Shannon has never used betches. I'll have to ask her, but... Next to her right now.
Starting point is 01:31:25 Have you ever used beth? How do I spell that? B-E-T-C-H. Have you ever used the word betch? I've said biotch. I'm sure you have, Mike. Bi-A-H. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:31:39 Let me see, babe. Hey, babe. Have you ever used the word betch? Have you ever used the word batch? Mike, you're having a lot of compliments on your age. I am? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:58 Where? In the chat. Hold on. How do I spell it again? B-E-T-C-H, Bet? It's bitch with an E. Instead of with an I, it's with an E. I'm going. keep it going. Also, shout it to the 62
Starting point is 01:32:13 Super chats that we've gotten so far. I think that Luke said that we had to get to 85. 80? I thought that too. But do you see in the private chat that he said 85? I don't know my glasses on rocks. I can't see shit. Okay. My vision's going to shit. Well, really nice. So keep sending them in. I kind of think we're going to do this because we have one. You can do it. It's you and our right now. Yeah, it's me and you. Let's go. Let's jam through. All right, hold on. Change the energy. Betch changed the energy. We got rid of the dead fucking weight Harloff. Let's go. Betches. Let's go. Betches. Okay. Let's go. Betches. That's what I'm saying. We hit 90. I'll take a niff out. Is that true? Left or right? I don't know if I can lift it up. Oh, I can lift it up. Yeah. Left to right. Whichever anyone wants. I don't care. What do you want? All right. Well, the person who sends in the 90th gets to choose. Gets. Gets a
Starting point is 01:33:10 Nip. Yep, gets a nip. And it's not even a slip. Okay. Armada saw this trailer for a show called Last Samurai Standing coming to Netflix. It looks fire. It's Battle Royale with Samurai. See, that's what I'm talking about in terms of marketing right now. I've never heard of this. Have you heard of this? Nope. Nope. All right. Well, thanks for letting us know Armada. That's why I appreciate when you guys tell us when there's shows coming. Brendan Summers says, apparently there's a Marvin Gay biopic that's being produced by Dr. Dre coming out eventually. Can't wait to see that. Who would you choose to play him?
Starting point is 01:33:40 right isn't this the thing where somebody recently said that they didn't want to be him because of that i don't know i'm put my glasses on rocks i get to see better yeah i feel you my there we go my blue light glasses so i don't really feel you uh that'd be i have Marvin gay biopic would be great dr let's get it on let's get it on exactly exactly mike mike's just out here trying to get it on and take a nip out will you guys let him we will find him we will find out. Greenie from Oz Lucasfilm has a single working creative
Starting point is 01:34:16 brain cell. We both know they do Knights of Old Republic already based on the material that are already there. Is that true, Mike? Was Lucasfilm do a Knights of Old Republic? I don't know, man. I don't know if that's too inside Star Wars
Starting point is 01:34:34 for casual fans. I don't know, man. That's what Harleaf and I thought the Ackleit was going to be set in that kind of era and stuff, but we were sadly mistaken. Go, pal. Happy birthday, Mike. Thank you. Mike, what is your main goal of the year?
Starting point is 01:34:56 Oh, someone asked me this at dinner the other night. It's to find, I need to find peace at work. I need to not let it suck my soul like it has been and come to a place where, it's just Shannon said it best She's like Mike your self-work You attach to your job You attach your job
Starting point is 01:35:19 And your self-worth is a person To your work And it's not right So Do you mean this work all work No universal My 9 to 5 Pay my bills
Starting point is 01:35:30 Pay my insurance job Not my acting career My acting career That's a That's a whole I'm able to separate the two Hmm Why do you think
Starting point is 01:35:38 You're not able to do it with your other job. Because, Rocks, when you're in a corporate, it's tough because when you're in a corporate environment where not the best person knows to get it, like incompetence is awarded,
Starting point is 01:35:52 people kind of fumble upwards into positions of power that aren't, you're taking orders and your career and your livelihood is based on people's opinion that aren't qualified to give it. So it's just like there's, it's a corporation. It's a giant corporation that,
Starting point is 01:36:08 you know, it is what it is. Yeah, yeah. Okay. So I'm just trying to find that happiness and just know that that's not, who that work is doesn't define me as a person and to stop putting so much weight into it. I think that's a beautiful goal. I want piece. It's a heavy thing.
Starting point is 01:36:27 I was so bummed when I was there and you weren't there. I know. I saw the picture. I was like, motherfucker. I didn't like that guy. I miss you guys every year you go. I know. I know.
Starting point is 01:36:36 That's a bummer. Greenie from Oz says, happy womb exit day, Mike. Thank you. Boom exit day. Wild way of putting that. No sparks. Thanks for the member for eight months. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:36:49 Roxy, what do you think of Noah's relationship history and nobody wants this season two? Do you agree Joanna? Joanne is annoying. Esther is my favorite. Nervous about Sasha. Did you finish this season? No, I don't agree that Joanne is annoying. I think about
Starting point is 01:37:08 So in terms of his relationship history Like Michael give you an example There's one episode this season where Noah Which is at Adam Brody's character He is doing stuff for his girlfriend for Valentine's Day And he does the same thing for every girlfriend Valentine's Day gets the same necklace Takes them to the same place
Starting point is 01:37:25 Like he has a Valentine's Day routine he does for girls And she kind of is like I don't want you to do what you do for other people for Valentine's Day Do what you do like do something specific That's really for me. Is that the show with, you said Kristen Bell, right? Yep, that's Joanne. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:41 Shannon had that on last night. I caught like one episode of it. They were coming to like the dinner party or something. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. There's some attractive women in that show. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:52 Yeah. Like the one. Yeah. That's some attracted women. Pala. Were you going to say the Burnett girl? Well, there's a girl who comes in and she's dating a guy. There's a scene.
Starting point is 01:38:01 Did you see the one? It's out now. They're in the bedroom and I guess the guy. had a relationship with this blonde and the wife was like, okay, well, I'm your wife, and I'm telling you, you can't be friends with her anymore. That's why I said the brunette girl. That's after her.
Starting point is 01:38:12 Her and the blonde that was on the bed, the two of them, Haba, Haba. Yeah, I figured you. Haba, Haba. Yeah, both of them really, really hot. But yeah, that brunette, gorgeous. Yeah, it's gorgeous. Absolutely stunning.
Starting point is 01:38:23 Stunning. Well, we do, see Black. Do we get a Doomsday trailer with Avatar? Mikey? Ooh, I don't know. You would think so. I would say the smart money is. on it. But I think because they're
Starting point is 01:38:36 so behind on that doomsday, like, I don't, we'll get something. We'll get a teaser. Yeah. It's almost like you guys don't want to see Mike Kalanowski's nipple with 67. That's it. That's it. Go ahead. Sorry. All right. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:38:53 Oh, here's Shian. Oh, no. Dad's home. I'm good. It's good. Good home. Oh, fuck. You're fucked up. The script has been sent to that person. And the call Wintow. Send me the script. Can you tell me?
Starting point is 01:39:09 Can I know it? Can I let in another secret here? I'll tell you afterwards. All right. Hey, so Roxy, Shannon said, not that I can recall specifically, but probably. Yeah, because that's any shit.
Starting point is 01:39:22 I've never heard her use it because I would go, the fuck did you just say? Yeah, clearly. Just so you know, Christian, we are currently at 69. Very nice, except if you're Roxy. We are trying to get to above 85. which is where Roka was.
Starting point is 01:39:36 And Mike has said that if we do win for the day, he's going to do something very special. Which is? Yeah. Show his nipple. Oh, thank God. I don't know if you can do that. You don't like 69?
Starting point is 01:39:46 This is an old conversation. Oh, I'm sorry. No, but it's an old conversation because everything else about Roxy like. I know. It is a lot of people's least favorite thing about me. It's the worst. It's the worst. Luckily, it doesn't bother you too much, Christian.
Starting point is 01:40:03 It doesn't really consider. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, it's true. I hate it with such a passion that I actually refuse, Mike. No, no, no, Rox is fun. You can't. What I've had... Okay, what do you guys think about this?
Starting point is 01:40:18 Where are? Wait, listen, listen, we're going to be here until 3 o'clock. What was the last one that you did? It's up for the Dubez. All right, let me see. I might have missed. I don't know if I have. Oh, yeah, I went all the way that way.
Starting point is 01:40:32 I'm going to put up the next one. It's Matt Cruewin. Okay, thank you. He said, happy belated birthday, Mike. Honored to share the same weekend with you and Roka. Oh, happy belated birthday, Matt. Welcome, Scorpio. Good man.
Starting point is 01:40:43 Good man, Scorpio. Oh, Mike. Not to me this girl, because I don't know that much, but it makes so much sense that you're a Scorpio. Oh, rocks, 100%. I don't believe in that kind of stuff, but anyone at times they've told me a Scorpio and this and that's like, oh, that's me.
Starting point is 01:40:59 And they're like, oh, that's you. Yeah. That's so crazy because I don't know that. Like, Steph knows way more than me. but you are such a scorpion my mom's a scorpio you are such a scorpio damn 100% rocks that's why 69 baby yeah for sure for sure well it's not it's not it's not i'm a crab so that's why i don't oh well it's not just it's not just birthday wishes to him i just found i just realized this uh just now someone told me so uh julia robert's birthday's today too so there you go i don't care i'm
Starting point is 01:41:29 good job julia roberts good well yeah yeah you got a birthday with julia roberts mic all right I'm going. I'm going. I'm too fly cam. Fallen asleep is the correct response to House of Dragon? No, I think the new one. Oh, House of Dynamite. Yeah. Oh, I have to sneeze. I'm not getting...
Starting point is 01:41:46 Less you. Sorry, Rox. Keep going, Rox. All right, here we go one more time. Thanks to the sink lord. I take it back. Roxie sounds, Eskimo with Arno voice. Eskimo. Come on. Come on. Keep going. Come on. Keep on going, kiddo.
Starting point is 01:42:05 Yeah, Rossi, keep going. Come on, Ryan S. I was on a rock climbing trip with friends last week in Red Rock Canyon and Zion. Do you have a favorite place and activity to enjoy outdoors? I love this question, Ryan. Well, great question. Yeah, I love the snow ski, Ryan. It's my favorite.
Starting point is 01:42:23 If I can get on a mountain and ski, that's pure heaven. Maui. I think people will just call it skiing. What? What did he say? I love to snow ski. Well, Roxy, there could be water skiing. I know, he's water skiing, Roxy.
Starting point is 01:42:44 Hey, don't, don't scream at your place to work, please. I know there's water skiing, but nobody would have, yeah, whatever, that's good. I like to drink outside. Oh, okay. I'm in a party phase, guys. I like to have beverages in the water.
Starting point is 01:43:01 Yeah, I'm the big outdoors person. I'm a big camper. I was a Girl Scout forever. I love outdoors activities. But as my sister said, I'm more outsidesy than I am outdoorsy. All right. What's next after that?
Starting point is 01:43:15 Let's see. I am two fly cam. Asoka season two, she discovers her personality. Oh, out. Mean. Go pal.
Starting point is 01:43:22 Just read Sheridan films go to Peacock in 26, but TV stays at Paramount until 28th. Yellowstone stays forever. Yeah, it's kind of like Shonda's deal then. Shonda rhymes when she was leaving ABC to go to Netflix, but. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:43:35 he still has Grey's Anatomy and her stuff. Okay, so how does that work then? Let's say with Tulsa King, right? So Tulsa King stays at the library. It stays until 2028, but can now Peacock make new Tulsa King series that would live there? You mean spin-offs? No, can they make Tulsa King? Like, is this a final season?
Starting point is 01:43:56 Well, 2020, eight would, that's a far time from now for they would still be able to do that. No, no, no, no, no. but what I'm saying is but TV stays there so all TV stays there even if he's making it it stays at Paramount or that's what I'm saying that seems like what he's saying but yeah because if it is it they're a lot big so well that's what I'm saying like if you're so but if you if you're making a show his so Paramount still pays for his shows and even though he's not doing but then they don't have him I'm guessing it's similar to Shonda's deal where she left her own show there's new showrunner for Grays,
Starting point is 01:44:34 gray days. Okay, so they keep it. So they keep the property and then they just don't have him. I would guess. That's what they would do. That would make sense. Yeah. That would be my theory. And then they let go of everything in 28. Yep, sounds like it. Except Yellowstone.
Starting point is 01:44:50 Now, so when he says Yellowstone stays forever, does that include 1923? Does that include I don't know because Yellowstone's done. No, but he means a library. Right, right, but just stays forever. Oh, yeah, I guess. Right.
Starting point is 01:45:06 So does the library stay there forever? So no one knows. All right. What's next? Greeny from Oz, Rox and Mike, top three Aussie movies. L.O.L. I'm so sorry. I don't know that I can name one Aussie movie. Mad Max, I guess.
Starting point is 01:45:25 No, the proposition. It's a great Western. Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Is that Australian? Uh-huh. I think so. Okay. It could be. I have quite literally no idea. All right. What's next then?
Starting point is 01:45:38 Sorry. Shea, Markell, Sheridan is to paramount what 50 seconds to start. That's absolutely accurate. Propal, Plurba's next Friday. No. I am going, I think the premiere is on Tuesday or Thursday. I don't know when it comes out, probably right after that. So yes, sounds right.
Starting point is 01:45:57 Very excited for it. Propal also says Affleck was the bomb and phantoms, yo. Is that, is that, it's not dogma? Don't tell me. It's, is it, it's not clerks too. Is it, is it chasing Amy? I think it's chasing Amy. Is it chasing Amy?
Starting point is 01:46:11 No, I think it's chasing Amy. I think so. Okay. I don't remember. I think it is chasing Amy. Coppals says Rickon is the youngest star. Dick and is. Oh, right.
Starting point is 01:46:20 Right, right, right. Right. Yeah, Rickon. It is very, very confusing. House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones to name everybody the same fucking name. Yeah, lots of names. All right. So, many.
Starting point is 01:46:31 Mike's movies madness. And by the way, we're at 79. So we are very close to beating Roko. we can definitely wipe the floor with him, keep it going. Mike's moving on. It says, Sasha, Shelby O's like last night, a basic story, but Chris did amazing at building tension and had genuinely delivered some great scares. As a kids say, this guy's got a career ahead of him.
Starting point is 01:46:46 That's what I'm hearing from everybody. Yeah, I think he's going to get, as we said this, we talked about it for a bit, myself and Rokey yesterday. I think he's going to get more opportunities. It's like, yeah, you probably wanted the movie to make more money, but whatever. I don't think it's going to be one of those things where it is going to hurt him. I think he'll get an opportunity, especially depending on how he was able to work with,
Starting point is 01:47:04 whether there's Flanagan and other people he might have way more opportunities maybe TV and other stuff too for sure Scott B, Roxy and IMDB, the movie is listed as Lioness and Wildcat any idea why? Also are you watching Chad Powers debating on whether to watch it or not? Yeah, I do know why. Well, I don't know how much I can say about why, but I will say that it was originally titled Lioness and then they switched to Wildcat. You guys can theorize on why they did that, but.
Starting point is 01:47:30 TV show. Yeah, it's a TV show. It makes a little sense in the world, of course. I would be the first person you can't call the slyness is a TV show out on Paramount you've got to change it. I'd say that would be a really good theory
Starting point is 01:47:40 as to why. I'm not watching Chad Powers. It is on my list and there was a really wild quote that Glenn Powell gave that it was like Mrs. Doubtfire meets something crazy and I was like,
Starting point is 01:47:54 okay, you kind of have me. So I think that I should. But I'll let you know if I do how it is. RQMDSMD says support for Mike and Roxy fun show today. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:03 Nice. That's right, boy. Keep them going. And honestly, we should probably get to 100 if we're trying to win. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. For real. Eric Arlene. Stop Mike and Rocks. We need an Aerosmith movie, Crazy History.
Starting point is 01:48:14 Plus, in the East era, they could have someone play Roxy's dad. Isn't that the truth? Yeah. How wild would that be? That would be great. Yeah. Oh, my God. Imagine somebody playing your dad.
Starting point is 01:48:24 I know. It would be cool. That'd be so. And if they did an Aerosmith movie, they would have to. So, well, I guess they make fibs on biopics all that. That's true. Yeah. Larry Hinson, Roxy, never downplayed a small role. Harrison Ford First Roll was a bellhop in movie Plaza suite. No, I'm not downplaying it. I, it to me, it's the greatest thing that ever happened in my life. I'm only saying so that when you go to the, when you see if I'm not in the trailer and you go to the movies and you're like, wait, what? I filmed four scenes and I'm so proud of every one of them. We'll see what makes the movie, but I know I'm in the movie. And to me, that's like the greatest gift that ever happened. I love it. Um, okay.
Starting point is 01:49:04 83. That ill Yankee, please clip this betch, Bayotch combo thing. So Christian, have you ever heard the word betch? No. There we go. Thank you. So, Rox, there's some addendums to Shannon's what she said. So she responds back.
Starting point is 01:49:20 I said, you know, hey, baby, you ever heard the word, you ever use the word betch? And she's like, um, not that I can recall specifically, but probably why. Roxy was asking on the show, oh, got you. Were you all going back and forth over whether or not girls say it? She just can't believe I have. never heard it. So she uses it, but it's not part of her vernacular around me. Yeah. That's please. All right. Legend MM 600. Ha ha. You two rock. Who wins the World Series? God, I hope it's the Blue Jays. I hate the Blue Jays. But I want them to win because I bet on them.
Starting point is 01:49:51 I never bet on anything. I bet like twice a year maybe. And I bet in last night, 18 freaking innings, whatever it was, and this fuckers lose. You don't have to tell us, but when you bet, when you did bet, are we talking small, large? Tell me what you think this is. I think it's, I think it's small. I see. You probably bet a thousand. Oh, I think that you bet the amount that you can lose without wanting to like be really pissed.
Starting point is 01:50:20 Yeah. That's like, that's just kind of a reasonable amount. Yeah. One time I bet eight, I bet eight 50. That's what I came out to on the Patriots winning and they lost. And that was horrible. That wasn't. I wasn't in that kind of.
Starting point is 01:50:34 Really, really upsetting. I was like, oh, I was young too and had no money. And I was like, I actually cannot pay rent and eat now. And someone, someone said, why would you bet against Otanis? Because Otani didn't give you me plus two 10 odds. That's why. All right. Well, RQMDSMD support for Roxy and Mike.
Starting point is 01:50:52 Hell yeah. Mirjum, support for lovely Roxy and lovely Mike. Miriam's always the best. And happy birthday, Mike. Hope you have a great new year. Thank you very much. I hope so too. I love the birthday love.
Starting point is 01:51:03 coming in, keep sending in what you want for Mike this year. What's your wish? What is your birthday wish for him? We have seven more minutes. Send them in. Hey, Mr. C.J.
Starting point is 01:51:11 Roxy, are you going to give Boston Blue a shot? The fuck is Boston Blue? Is it a show? I think so. Yes. There you go. I have no idea.
Starting point is 01:51:21 Sorry, Mr. CJ. Let me know what it is. Michael de Aguilar support and happy birthday. Mike from Mike. There you go. Mike to Mike, buddy boy.
Starting point is 01:51:29 Thank you. Mike and Ix. Greenie from Oz. I'm with. you, Mike, being working, being working my trade diesel mechanic for last eight years, but quitting this year to go to uni and do filmmaking course. That's great. That's great. Good for you, man. Follow your passion, man. Follow your passion. That's the thing, buddy. I am,
Starting point is 01:51:48 I am following my passion and it gets rough. So. Yeah, but it's better than not following your passion. Oh, Rox. That's the problem, Rox. Rox. I love. I know. Do every day. I love. It's the bullshit. I'm surrounded with that I got to go through to perform every fucking day. I get it. Yep, I get that.
Starting point is 01:52:09 GoPal says, have you seen this season of Only Murders? Yeah, but last night was the finale and I'm only halfway through, so I'm going to review it next week for you guys because I didn't want to not see the finale and bring it up tonight. I did see that they just got renewed though and that the show is going on for another season and they're moving to
Starting point is 01:52:25 London. So that's really exciting. I love that effing show. Shea Markell says, Does anyone have any cool date night ideas? I literally can't. Oh, go ahead. I got one. We did it a little while ago.
Starting point is 01:52:40 It was a cooking class. Like, I hope I both like to cook, but it was like this fancy cooking. That was awesome. Axe throwing is good. I did an arcade with this guy. It was so much fun. Absolute blast. It's fun when there's some kind of games.
Starting point is 01:52:56 Escape room. I did an escape room recently, too. Oh, that's fun, too. Those were fun. I crap and shits, cool. Here's one towards a 51-year-old man-boob. There you go, maybe. I don't got man-bo.
Starting point is 01:53:07 I got, no, I got good pecks. No, man-boob is not bad. No, man-boob makes you feel like it's like, blah-blah-l-l-l-l-l-l-lo-law. Oh, no, like, I think I would be like, oh, I like his man boobs. Really? Yeah, yeah. Never have I said it, but I would. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:53:23 Matt Krugman, shout-out Roxy being first to get my last name right, but now I don't know. Was it Krugman or Krugman? I'm sorry. I might have switched it now. He just took that back. Is it crew like J. Crew or Krug like, ugh? Let us know, Matt. I'm too fly cam.
Starting point is 01:53:40 I would say it's crew. I would say you got it right. You must have said Krugman because I always say Krugman. Okay. So maybe then I just. I don't know. Roxy Thailand has a cure for Q balls coming soon. What?
Starting point is 01:53:52 I don't know. Does anybody have any idea? Oh, I think he means there's like a cure for baldness. Oh. Oh. Well, there you go. Thank you. Mine is 100% anxiety driven, so it's a challenging.
Starting point is 01:54:05 I think everything is probably a psychological with like it's a body reaction with you. Like something you could easily fix. I'm trying, but you know it's not easy working on your brain. So we need another better help sponsor. GoPal says, I thought Roxie was referencing junior mafia, but it turns out to be the chronic. my roommate was both on repeat all freshman year in college. What? Not sure.
Starting point is 01:54:33 It was probably a previous thing. Gopal, sorry. I have literally no idea what you're talking about. Gopal also says east side, west side hearsay. 92 is what you guys are at right now. Oh, shit. East side was a battery. Happy B day, Mikey.
Starting point is 01:54:49 Thank you. Are your mama's boy or Papa's boy? Neither. Neither, okay. I'm not. I'm not saying it fast enough. jumped in, Christian? Oh.
Starting point is 01:54:59 I'm the, I'm the oldest, the firstborn, so I'm neither. Okay. We are at 92. That's awesome. Let's get over 100. So we have a chance at winning this week. Steph's been kicking butt, which I love. But if it's not me, Steph, oh yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:12 Mikey, I feel like I was. Oh, my God. I'm so pale. Covered by battery. Yeah. Damn. Nice. Go, Mikey.
Starting point is 01:55:19 I'm not pale today. Mr. I crapp and chids. Damn. My chips look pale as shit. You're sweating here. If Roxy were saying, she'd show.
Starting point is 01:55:27 show something at 90 Supers. It's true. Oh, have a great day. I was thinking you about like what. Yeah, no, that's,
Starting point is 01:55:37 yeah, I'm here. I got to go put my shirt on. Give me a second. Okay. Shane Markell, you also want to spin off why Marshall's airing on CBS Paramount
Starting point is 01:55:46 starring Luke Grimes don't know why I mentioned it. Oh, okay. Well, you mentioned it because we were talking about it. Yeah, probably.
Starting point is 01:55:54 Ryan S. Happy birthday. Mike. Have a great year. we'll tell him you said so maybe he can hear us he has those headphones and so i'm guessing he can go pal says bomb and phantoms oh right james right james right back okay yep yep yep thank you arkand jsmg says support for my uh roxy mike and mike's dog very very nice mike joy says mike should go oh billy like jc if goal reached well well we reached it we did reach us yeah he read that too we can't do extra yeah but if we hit over
Starting point is 01:56:24 a hundred maybe maybe Unheard Sirens Incorporated, Remy. If you don't know Betch, you're a DAC. That's so true, Remy. If you don't know Betcher, you're such a deck. I couldn't hear you, Mike. Scott B. says, Mike, would you rather be in Bond or Star Wars and as who?
Starting point is 01:56:44 Right. That's cool thing. Well, can you hear me now? Yeah. Okay, I'd rather be, well, I could not be Bond. I just, I'm an American and whatnot. I would love to play the character of Felix Leiter. He's kind of like the CIA counterpart to Bond.
Starting point is 01:56:57 if I was in a Bond film and if I was in a Star Wars film I would be like to be just a new character not a Jedi but a new character Keep sending them in we gotta get to 100 y'all unknown how much trouble is Warner Brothers in since government officials are favoring paramount
Starting point is 01:57:13 by buying Warner Brothers sounds like anyone else going to have a hard time getting approval I think this is probably accurate yeah yeah Mike I'm saying yeah I how much trouble is since government yeah I see I I think it's going to, I think, I told you, I think if it all depends.
Starting point is 01:57:32 Ellison really wants it, he's going to get it. If he really wants it. The question is how much do you want to pay for it? But yeah, I think he's going to get it. Ryan asked any Halloween plans later this week. What are you guys doing, trick-tree? It's all about kids, man. Yeah, there's a big thing here at this town that I live in now where they close off this
Starting point is 01:57:51 entire block and the whole thing is just. So fun. Hollywood, I mean, Hollywood, Halloween full. and then I might miss that portion of it, but I'm going to then take my little one and we're going to walk around the neighborhood and go. Yeah, we go with our friends that have kids
Starting point is 01:58:06 and walk around with that. She's going to be bummed. We just found out her fish died. Oh. Yeah, she's going to be bummed. I'm going to a haunted housewarming party. Oh, that's fun. Bobby Jackson.
Starting point is 01:58:16 I've been saying for a while. Hi, Bobby. That studios should give Trackenberg more stuff, especially genre. He's one of us. He started a podcaster reviewing games, comics, TV shows. Oh, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:58:26 That is cool, Bobby. Thanks for letting us know. Is it a YouTube channel, Bobby? Send that over. I want to see that too. GoPal says, I have to catch up. Didn't do week to week.
Starting point is 01:58:34 Only murder's in the building. It's a great season. Really, really good. Eric, Slaby or Slabby, sorry. Have you seen Untamed on Netflix with Eric Banna? Yeah, I did. I talked about it on this show.
Starting point is 01:58:45 Started it. I thought it was fine. Is it good? Yeah. It was good. Okay. Not great. Good.
Starting point is 01:58:52 Yeah. Greeny from Oz says, love you, Mike. It's a struggle. It's a struggle to love him or? Oh, it's a struggle, like what we were talking about. Like, it's a daily struggle, my friend. Luckily, I've got a beautiful girlfriend that's an amazing human being that I get to go home to that kind of writes me and puts me on the right path and is my sounding board.
Starting point is 01:59:13 So and I got it in. Why don't you? 95. All right, 95. Here we go. Shea Markell. Thanks for the ideas. Hashtag support.
Starting point is 01:59:22 Hell yeah. Yep. Go pal. Betches ain't is Gray not Biggie. Who said otherwise? Somebody said Biggie. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:59:34 Not us. Somebody to, you know, I don't know. Okay. Or give some D. Support for Roxy and Mike going for 100. Hell yeah. Let's go. 97. 96.
Starting point is 01:59:43 96. We need four more. Go pal says my brain instead went to F get money. F. Betches. Get money. Hey, listen. You still did.
Starting point is 01:59:55 96. It's pretty damn good. And you saw a nip. Yep. Yep. Well, there you go. So, Roxy, where can the good kids find you? Oh, that's not me. That's not me. That's not me. Later on at night, it will be welcome to Derry, episode two. and then Friday most likely Oppenheimer, we shall see. Greenie from Oz, one last one.
Starting point is 02:01:27 Have you guys seen Stuckman's movie? I'm thinking about seeing it tomorrow. I don't think Roxy saw it either. Roxy haven't seen it, right? No, but Greg did see it. And off the record, I asked him, like, no, legit. And he was like, it's really good. Like, he thought it was super solid.
Starting point is 02:01:40 Nice. Okay, Mike, you didn't see it. And Mike's not a horror guy anyway, so. I'll see it because he's in the space. I want to support a filmmaker that got that start like he did. So, yeah. It was not my thing. I'll go see it.
Starting point is 02:01:52 No. And like I said, I've been using him. Oh, there we go, 99. He says 100, but 99. We are, sorry, Roxy, what were you saying? It was stuck me over on Schmodo. Yeah, he battled Snyder. He beat Snyder.
Starting point is 02:02:07 Yeah, he was there before I came in, but he was there at the beginning. Yeah, yeah. He won, he was, he was 1 and 0. His career was 1 in, 90, 100. There we go. He got you to 100. Wait, what did Mike? Yeah, well, Mike was supposed to yell
Starting point is 02:02:21 something Christian if we got to 100. What was it? Oh, Billy. How is it? Yeah, yeah. All right. Thank you guys for being here. Appreciate it. I'll have more news really soon. I got to find out if I'm allowed to give the, I don't want to do the, give the director and produce you yet until they're on the show. Yeah, hold it. Hold it. Yeah. And now fingers are crossed that now the person that I just gave that to, I want them to come back and say that they're going to do it. That would add some more, um, feel to the fire, if you will. So thanks for being here. I appreciate you. We'll see you guys real soon.
Starting point is 02:02:53 Very nice. Very good. Bye-bye.
