What's going on, everybody? Happy Monday here today. Crazy stories going on. There's some serious accusations made against David Harbor. Now, wherever the outlet might be that's reporting it, there's one of two things that's going to happen here. Either these allegations are trying to be true. There's going to be some serious crap involved. Or if this publication did not do their homework, there's going to be some serious lawsuits. So it's a story, kids. It's a big story. There's also the other story I didn't mention the intro is that the box office for Halloween was down. I watched a couple movies. I watched a couple things over the weekend. And also watched, I pulled such a goofy thing and I'll rehash it. Broke's just resetting his things that be going in a second. But I never,

I never, never, never do this anytime. And I said it as much. I mentioned that I decided for the first. first time. I don't really, I don't bet much when I do. I like to, uh, listen, I got a vibe. I got a thing about it. And I put some, uh, cashish on the, on the, on the blue jays. And I said, three, two. And I said, normally what I would do normally in any other scenario, what I usually do is is write it out. And I said it as much when I was talking about. I said, this team is dodgers are good enough to come back. Um, well, I'll, I'll share my woes with,

uh, with, with, with John Roker. Yeah, John, I was talking about how, you know, normally I'm pretty I don't bet much. I don't bet much. Yeah. And when I do, I pretty much, I go with my gut, and I'm pretty good with it normally. Yeah. And what I never do, what I never do,

Cardinal Sin, and what you never do is you never start talking smack before it's over. You just don't do it. Yeah. And the, when the Blue Jays were up 3-2 and Winston was on the show, I just had to do it because I was so tired of his front-running ways. It's so fake. it's so, I love Winston more than anything, but it's such BS.

He's just phony fan of the Dodgers. If he can name one person other than O'SHanee playing on the team, I'd be surprised. But, and it was like, three, two, and I said it as much. I said the Dodgers could very well come back and win this whole series. They very well could do it. You did. Oh, I 100% said that. You can report it to me that you were in the can for the Js big time.

Oh, I was. I hundred, but watch, go back and watch the videotape. I said, now, I'm saying this knowing that the Dodgers could very well come back and win. They're that kind of team. But three, two, going into Toronto, I like my chances. Right. That's what you should. And, and I did that, I pulled the Cardinal sent and I deserved, and I'll say this, I deserved to lose. I deserve to lose. When you do that, you deserve to lose. I never do it. I did it and I paid the price for it. So that's what happens. Yeah. Well, I mean, I think Winston can name more LA sparks from the WMBA than you can't Dodgers.

but I totally, I totally respect the fact that he, he's now going on to the Dodgers side. He's so, he's so full of shit. So anyways, what a series. It was crazy, crazy series. They didn't go out like, they went out fighting. They went out on their shields. They went out fighting.

Absolutely. It was, it was big. Sometimes it's just not your day. You can work your butt off. And sometimes it's just not you. That ball going under the, under the wall. Everything, that's half an inch of the foot on the, everything. Yeah, it was great.

Anyway, so that, that sucked. And then I watched some stuff. What did I watch? I watched the materialist, which I haven't, I hadn't seen. Whatever. It's not a Christian Harlow film. No, it's not true. I like those kind of movies.

It's just, there wasn't, did you see it? I saw half an hour of it. Right. So it's, um, it's, you know, look, it's just, it, well, first of all, you're not a Dakota Johnson guy. I am. I'm really not. You just not. So.

People committed to that. I thought she was pretty committed. Anyway, but the point was, when I was watching this thing, I was like, it's fine. The movie, people who have said they had a problem with the ending. I didn't. I didn't have a problem with the ending. I don't have a problem with the ending.

I don't know. And here's the thing. I like Pedro Voscal. I'm not one of these people who constantly says, oh, come on, this got too much, too much. My wife said that at one point. She's like, this guy's in everything. But what I will say is I don't think you needed him in this movie.

Yeah, it's a weird thing. I think he, you know, the thing is, I want to make it clear because I know people get upset about this, but like, listen. Oh, sorry, John. There's not a lot of opportunities for Latino actors, and you really can't figure, you really can't, like, how can I say this? You really can't predict when your films are going to come out. So it just happened to be that he was taking all of this stuff because he really wants to build

a name for himself, really wants to get out there, really wants to establish that he can be successful in multiple types of films, multiple types of genres, but he can't control where the studio is putting these things. unfortunately they're all putting out all at once kind of like Jennifer Lawrence had that situation as well and so now people are backlash against Pedro but I agree with you this is not a role that scream for Pedro but I understand why he took it to challenge himself but no but that's the way that's the point I don't think this role

does challenge him okay that's that's the thing is that I feel to me I don't have the issue of like oh he's in another movie right right right he's like what what does he do in this movie that you needed him you don't need him in this movie you could you could have helped your budget if you'd cut him, um, and put someone else in there, or spent the same money on, or less money maybe on somebody who just, it, it, it's just not a role. She just needs to really like this guy and you've got to like him, which pay for sure. Yeah. There's nothing to that

role and ultimately where it, where it goes. And I don't buy the facts like, oh, you know, oh, poor you. You got to choose between Chris Evans and what is it? But still Chris Evans. Yeah, still Chris Evans. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's all, it's, I know, it's all fucking so nonsense. But I mean, maybe he wanted to work for Celine's song who had just passed lives. And so, yeah, I agree. I don't understand. Those kinds of movies to me, I'm always like, uh, right.

Who cares about that kind of stuff? Yeah, exactly. It was. People, so. It was just fine. Um, what else did I see? I'm trying to know that. Christy.

Oh, that my, my wife watched. I had already seen it. Okay. Yeah. But my wife saw it and she was watching and she had watched it in halves. And I heard her reacting like someone was literally getting something was happening. some of my house and she was watching that scene. And it was, yeah, that's, uh, she city, Sweeney, look, and I said this before, I had really did not have a lot of game tape on her.

Yeah. She's the goods. She's the goods. Oh, agreed. She's really good in the movie. Really, really good. Yeah. Yeah. I think she, I think her being nominated is absolutely a possibility. And I'll say this, maybe get in trouble for it, much more than Dwayne for the smashing machine, which is, you could argue. I agree. Both of those roles are definitely roles to try to get Oscar. nominations, but I felt like she had more real estate. There was more of a through line. There was more of an arc for what she does in that movie. And I think her and Ben Foster, who should absolutely now all of a sudden be in the race

for a best supporting actor nomination. Both of them should be nominated, in my opinion, coming out of that movie. I'll trade you a shocking comment. Okay. If it came down to, if I had to, though, you could only vote for Sidney-Sweeney or Julia Roberts. Oh, tell the truth. I'd pull for Sydney, Sweney.

You have to. You have to. Yeah. You have to. I think your arc. I think Julie Roberts is one of her best roles in a very long time, if not her best role. 100%. As far as acting, as far as acting goes.

But Sidney Sweeney is just, she's incredible in the role. She really is. Yeah. And I went in skeptical as hell. And I came out of it going like, the movie itself is good. It's not great. It's good. But she is exceptional.

And Ben Foster's pretty good, too. Yeah. I'll tell you who. else i rewatch something and it's just i'm gonna put the i'm gonna put it up on the channel when we're done here um who i think should be nominated won't be okay but should be um david johnson for the long walk oh yeah good film from a couple months ago yeah so i just watched it again it's oh good it's probably going to be in my top three movies wow it's a year it's it's so good dude it's so good have you watched it more than once yeah i watched it i watched it twice like at the screener

and then i went to see it it's so good it's so good it's so good it's so good it's so good it's so good Yeah, the regal. I also think original score should be considered as well. Yeah. It's, it's, now, and I also think Cooper Hoffman is phenomenal in the film as well. I just, all the actors, all the young actors did a great job. David Johnson just does some special stuff in this movie. He won't be nominated.

He won't be even looked at, I'm sure, but he should be. But he should be. He's really, really good in it. I don't know where it's going to land, but I could see it landing on my top three for short. It's that good of a film. But we'll see. So anything else is I'm trying to think that that I'd seen over the week. I tried to watch some, did you have this problem with the,

what's that the L. Fanning movie, the one there was talking about? No, there's this Elf Fanning movie that's out. Oh, shoot. And it's supposed to be really good. It's on the app. And when I tried to put it,

when I tried to go, it asked me for my phone number and then asked me for, um, you know, what region I was in? I did both. And I said, oh,

it can't be access. I'm like, what the hell is this? It was the only thing on the entire thing. Oh. Life of Chuck was the other one that I watched the other day. I've not heard good things about that when I've watched it. It's interesting when you think about it.

Okay. It's interesting when you think about it, but it's nothing that should be nominated. So sentimental value is the one you're talking. Yes. That one is getting a lot of buzz. Did you try to, do you try to open that? I'm watching that this week. Try it open it on your app.

what a crazy story um that popped here too over i mean look at this morning and like uh and look the the first part of it is it comes from the daily mail right oh yeah however however the daily mail didn't make it up they were it was this this was this was given to them by david Harbour's wife, right? So anybody who is dopey enough to say, how could you take it seriously? Because the guy's wife went to them and said, listen to this. Now, we'll get into the fact is what if it is not true and what repercussions the daily mail and his wife could have in a moment? But anybody who's like, well, click bite, you have to understand the definition of clickbait. Now go suck on a piece of cheese. Now let's get, let's go and check this story out in general because the accusations are not great. No.

And it also plays into what happens with Marvel in a situation like this. Yeah. And what kind of response we're going to hear in general. So let's, let's check this. Okay. So this was the retelling of it by this kind of book movie here. So check this out. Break down.

Thunderbolt star David Harbor is accused of bullying and harassing Millie Bobby Brown. Multiple tablides are now reporting that Black Widow star David Harbor harassed and bullied his stranger things co-star Millie Bobby Brown, heading into the Netflix series fifth and final season. David Harbor has been in the headlines for the past couple of weeks after his ex-wife, Lily Allen, released her new album, West End Girl. In that, she shared many sort of details about the relationship, dropping some devastating infidelity. Harbour, who has been known for playing some father figures in the movies and TV shows he's appeared in, hasn't come out on the other side on Tarnished. Now, several tabloids, including Radar Online, are sharing some supposed accusations about the actress alleged conduct on Stranger Things.

11 actress Millie Bobby Brown is said to have accused Harbour who plays Jim Hopper of bullying and harassing her before season five. Harbor was allegedly the subject of an internal inquiry after the British actress filed a formal complaint, though he was not a. accused of any sexual misconduct. Source tells the site, Millie Bobby Brown, Phil, filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations.

The investigation went on for months. In response to these claims, Netflix source said it will be a theatrical event. Nothing is going to overshadow it, not even the leading man's private life. Due to these claims of bullying, the 20-year-old Bobby Brown has said to have a personal representative with her

on set throughout filming on the final series with another insider explaining. It's unfortunate that Mr. Harbour Where's personal woes have hit the headlines at a time when Stranger Things fans were looking forward to a global celebration to mark the end of the groundbreaking show. It's not clear what the outcome of the investigation was, but Harbor will still appear in Stranger Things season five and wasn't dropped from the series. Brown didn't appreciate the way her co-star conducted himself. Then they were likely kept apart with that representing with that representative there to ensure that nothing was said or done to fall in a category of harassment and bullying. as always until the trades weigh in.

It's best to report this with a pinch of salt. It will, however, be worth keeping an eye on. Neither Brown nor Harbor have made any sort of comment. Again, this is a major story. Yep. It's a major story because, and here's why. Yeah. And let's go with the commenters who are saying,

well, it's the Daily Mail. It can't take the Daily Bell serious. Let's say that you're 100% correct. Yeah. Someone went to them and they decided to publish this, and now they are potentially, if everything is false and they publish this without betting it, making sure it was accurate, they are going to be sued for a lot of money.

And then the real story will be David Harbour suing Daily Mail and possibly his ex-wife for millions of dollars. And if proven to be BS, rightfully so. Right. The flip sign. No matter who reported on it, it turns out to be true, we have to hear from Millie Bobby Brown. You have to. She's whether these claims are not true, then that shuts this down and then that lawsuit can start.

But this is a story. And the question is at what extent was it? Was he in a place also? Because not that this is that this is okay. Yeah. But is it a place where he's fighting with his ex-wife? He takes it into work. He screams and yells at her at one point.

He's out of line. And they say, I was so out of line. Let's get past this. And that happens. People are allowed to be human beings. And if she was okay with it, I would be okay. with it down the line. Yeah.

But I don't know the circumstances. You know what I mean? So I don't know. What do you make to this? I mean, look, there's, according to the report, there's 30 pages of this. So there's a lot of evidence, a lot of, not evidence. I don't know what I say, there's a lot of accusations. There's a lot of claims being made here, if you can read between lines of what's

being reported from Millie Bobby Brown's side of things. And listen, this is absolutely timed for maximum damage to David Harbor. And I don't mean that to defend David. Harbor. I'm saying it's clear that this guy pissed off Lily Allen and pissed off Millie Bobby Brown to the point where this stuff is happening almost in. Well, we don't know if he pissed off Millie Bobby Brown yet. Reportedly, right. Okay.

In concert at the same time. Like Lily Allen's album dropped, which absolutely skewers him throughout. And look, infidelity, I mean, they had an open relationship. You can have that's between that. She's rumored. She's rumored to have infidelity, too, by the way. Right. It's not my business.

Right. Exactly. I'm not going to comment on that. There's stuff. because it's always one-sided when the person's doing an album, Hello, Taylor Swift. But the other side of the thing is this situation where it's like, okay, well, is there repeated incidences on the set? And why are we just now hearing about it? Why have we heard all of this stuff before?

How much has Netflix been kind of sitting on this stuff and quieting this stuff? And who leaked it if this is a legitimate report? Who leaked it so that this will all come out right when everyone else is already jumping on David Harbor? And so you have to ask these kinds of questions here. Because if Millie didn't approve the leaking, you're kind of fucking with Millie too. 100%. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, you're into this and forcing.

Yeah. And that's not right either. No, because imagine a situation where she was uncomfortable, whatever it might be. And she said, look, I don't want to make this public. I want to handle this. I'm not feeling great about it. I got to tell Netflix about it. Right.

And then he comes in. They sit down. He's like, oh, my God, I've been a freaking asshole. I apologize. I, you know what? I didn't realize. what I was doing at the time. I lost my temper.

Are you cool with me? I'm cool with you. It's okay. Let's just put this past us. I'm going to have somebody on set with me. I understand. Let's just work through it. Let's do it.

That is a very possible and human possibility. Right. But what's also possible is that the, he tells his wife at the time, ex-wife, whatever it might be. And then shit goes sour and she's like, I'm going to tell them that that went down. Very possible.

Lily may be going scorched earth right now. 100%. And if you know Lily Island, I've followed her for many, many years. I love Lily. She is a DGAF person. And she does. And when she is done with you,

she has done with you and she has no problem setting the earth on fire around you. So I would not be surprised that she was the source for this stuff. Not that I'm accusing her of being the source, but I would not be surprised if through like intermediaries, she let me be out because as you said, they're mentioning his wife who at the time of Lily Allen. So she would have access to this stuff because apparently in the report it says she was supporting him all through the accusations from Millie Bobby Brown's side of things.

Right. Well, that's, but that's what I say. And this, look, we have seen this too many times where people go, oh, well, first of all, we don't even know what Millie Bobby Brown has even said. Right. We don't know what the actual actions. We don't know how she's feeling about it today and how she felt about it two years ago. Right.

Very good point. So what you cannot say is, oh, that's it. He bullying the guys, get him out. You can't do that. Right. You can't. You have to figure out what's going. on. You have to discuss it to be able

in another, again, to combat people that I would never hire in a million years that said, don't cover this. To combat that, you have to have these conversations because of down the line of, well, what's next in this? Because if you are, the commenters who are saying, oh,

you can't take it seriously, if they are fabricating this and they're putting the man's name out there and doing this, this is a big story and a big problem, and they should go down financially. Yeah, right. If that's the situation there. So yeah. And, you know, someone said Lily Allen is washed up in the chat. No, she isn't. Her album just came out. It's the highest charting album she's had since 2014. She's very much not washed up. And people are loving this album. Dare I say it more than the Taylor Swift album. It's getting reviewed better than that Taylor Swift album is. So she is still creating great music. And sometimes you need to be inspired to do that. And clearly she is. And I think she's taking no prisoners. And this is the Lily Allen that I love. I love a Lily Allen that takes no. prisoners. I just need to hear, I mean, and like you said, it's unfortunate, but because she was

brought into this, Millie Bobby Brown needs to be heard from here. A statement needs to be heard of, even if it was like, there was something that went down, but we have moved past it, and I have no ill will towards David Harbor whatsoever, and we have worked it out with Netflix, and we're so excited about the next season. Everyone then will be, see, big, and even people could say, see, there was nothing there. And I would say, yes, But I'm glad we talked about it because now the Daily Mail can say, we're in trouble here. We're in trouble.

I think you're doing exactly what you sometimes advise us to do in situations over the years. And if people like create a controversy or get upset about something, just chill, let it blow over. People will find something else to be upset about it. Maybe Netflix is telling David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown, don't say anything just now. We've got a big season coming. Please, maybe there's contractual stuff, NDAs, legal stuff.

that was settled. There's all kinds of possibilities here. Sure. Maybe that's what they're doing. Sure. But I agree with you. If you remove that, I absolutely would love to hear from both of them what their opinions are about this report coming out and what the situation is that happened. Not that they need to go into

details because that's their own personal stuff. Something simple. Yeah. Like everything, yeah. This is. Everything behind the team. They should come out together with a statement. This is blown out of proportion. We, we, we had difficulty on set that we worked past and Netflix, myself, David, we're good. We're good, yeah.

You get that, then Daily Mail is in trouble. Right. And whoever leaked this to them is in trouble because if it's not vetted. So either way, I hope it works itself out to where it is that type of scenario, honestly, because I like David Harbor. I don't know what, and I don't know what the accusations are. I really don't. I really don't know what they are.

And like I said, and if he, is losing his temper going through some shit and then he apologized and whatever it might be. I am not someone who's going to say. Look, I've been in situations. Like I told it many times over, I've been very open about it. I went through some shit for a year dealing with shit that I should have been when I was, when I lost my brother. We lost Schnep, did all these things. And I bottled that shit up and I didn't talk to anybody about that stuff. I let that shit sit and festering. I'm not going to, I'm good for a year. And then what I did? I lost it on air and, you know, and paid for it. And pay for it.

Yeah. And paid for it. Rightfully sell, though, because you should, what did you say? And then you beat me up in the lobby. I remember that. I beat you. That's right. I gave you a headbut.

I gave you a head butt. And I broke my head on your, on your, on your, on your, on your, on your, on your but, you know, but the point is that you get into places where, when you're in this. And it's, you have to be able to work through. Yeah. And I'm out the other side of it. And everybody judging, everybody judging, you all have fucked up too. You all have made mistakes.

you all have lost your minds on people. You all have exploded at family members, said the most horrific stuff. And, you know, we're in a place where, and I get it. I know Rok is maybe not a person to be saying this stuff. But like, we need to understand about situations and not just jump immediately, go, this is the truth and screw them. We have to, you know, have a little more grace, have a little more understanding, let the facts all come out and then decide where we feel, what we feel about these kinds of things.

Because sadly, we're all complicit in this social media reaction to everyone. thing, an immediate judgment. And we don't know what the facts are. And Christian, as you alluded to, there have been quite a few instances over the last few years where more facts have come out and people like, oh, crap, oh, you got to pay attention. You just got to wait. People want to take, they automatically want to take the right side and you know what the right side is. But I will say, my favorite comment so far as you were telling you saying, like everyone's yelled at their family members or done this, my favorite comment that I have seen so far is from Joshua Gonzalez. He says, no, I'm better than them.

Would Netflix's potential acquisition of Warner Road's Discovery restore the Snyderverse? Let's see. With it being widely reported that Netflix could be looking to acquire Warner Brothers and its library, DCEU fans on social media are sharing their hopes.

This could lead to the Snitroverse's return. Fans have spent years hoping that Wonderbothers Discovery and DC Studios might restore the Snyderverse, but does Netflix interest in acquiring the company make that any more likely? While Paramount Skydance remains the top contender to purchase Warner Brothers, it was recently reported that Netflix has retained financial advisory firm Moellis and company to explore potential. bid, meaning the streaming platform is looking into the possibility of entering the fray. When Netflix co-CEO, CEO, Greg Peters, and Ted Sarandos were asked about the possibility of Corey Warner Brothers last month, the former said you have to do that by the hard work of developing

those capabilities in the trenches day to day. You don't get there simply by buying another company that is also still developing those same capabilities. Sarandos added, we've been very clear in the past, we have no interest in owning legacy media network, so there is no change there. Netflix has, of course, worked closely with Zach Snyder in recent years. However, Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon movies weren't exactly huge successes. Still, DCEU fans have been taking to social media in their droves, expressing their hope that Netflix's potential acquisition of the Warner Bros. Discovery will somehow lead to the Snyderverse being restored on streaming.

It's a nice thought, but not one that really makes sense. After all, why would Netflix basically scrap DC Studios and its DCU plans to give Snyder hundreds of million dollars to make his Justice League sequels for its monthly subscribers? If anything, it would be business as usual with HBO Max, content likely added to Netflix and Netflix overseeing Warner Brothers Pictures. Yada, yeah. Yeah. All right.

So let me save them. Okay. Two things. All right. Here's two reasons why this isn't going to happen. Go ahead. One. Netflix ain't getting Warner Bros.

They are, you know what they're doing? What they do? They are jacking up the price for Paramount. That's what they're doing. That's called collusion and that's illegal. Is that what you're trying to say? What I'm saying is. is they're, I'm not saying they're not interested.

Okay. But they're interested knowing that they're going to get outbid. So you can still, if it's one of these, it's like, oh, shit, we got it. It's been great. Yeah. They might not outbid us, but they probably will. Yeah. That's what I think's going to happen as far as that goes.

Ellison wants he going to get it. That's part one. Part two is everything the comic book movie just said there at the end. This is the same conversation we're having where it looks like Ellison will keep gun on if he has them. Why in the world would Netflix get rid of Gun if they're going to get them and then say, oh yeah, and we're

going to bring back the half of the people who love them and the other half who didn't like that dark side, no unintended, of the DC. Why do that? It makes no sense. Now, putting it on the platform and maybe giving them a spinoff

and maybe asking Gun to say, hey, listen, do you love to fund a and Elseworld's Justice League follow-up with Zach Snyder. Is that possible? Sure. Probable? No.

What do you think? This is where, first of all, in a vacuum, I would love Netflix to buy them and then have an Elseworld, Zach Snyderverse that existed along with the James Gunn universe, because that's fun. We used to collect, those of us who collect comic books, it was a main Batman through line, and then there were other Batman Offshoecom books

and we were able to understand those are different worlds and not try to say where does this fit and what does this fit and all of this stuff. But like I think the thing, the reason it won't happen is because of the fans ironically. The fans who became nutballs

about the Snyderverse and I am a big Snyder fan. I love the Snyderverse, you know, but the fact that they became nutballs about it now as a company, you're like we can't even bring both of these creators in to do their thing and have some fun with this stuff and really get more people to like the content, more people to watch the content be a blast. But because the fans are so divided,

they're so, it's such a civil war, the gun lovers, the Snyder bros, all of them battling about the future of DC. What company wants to bring toxicity into their brand, into a brand, and put that out there and risk getting half the audience pissed off and the other half the audience pissed on and then creating a civil war under your antenna. Who wants... It's like buying that player. It's like buying Rodman. Yeah, if you can't control him, you're just going to lose

your shit like he did on the Spurs. But if you can control him, you can get him to a title like they did on the Bulls. It's a combustible property right now if you were to bring in and try to put in Snyder and gun, which I think in a vacuum would be amazing. But now because of the fandoms, I think would absolutely implode.

You know, if him doing something together, that would, I think that would, as they said, Braveheart, unite the clans. You know? The clans, of course. Like, that would, if you did that, if you had them work and do a special,

I think that would be smart if James Gunn did that, to do something like, whatever it might be. I think he would like to work with, with Zach Snyder. They're friends. They're friends. They're friends.

And the other side of it is, good luck getting Ben Affleck back to do this. He wants nothing to do with this. He wants nothing to, not that he didn't like, Not that he didn't like his time. Yeah. He's over it. If you cast Anna to Armis's catwoman, I guarantee you he'll come back.

Why, you think he wants to go back with her? Is that a rumor? The report's over the weekend that he is going to open the door, try to open the door to that because she broke up with Tom Cruise. And of course, he's not with J-Lo anymore. And so Ben likes, and we know Ben's reputation, he likes to revisit his old one. Here's my answer to that. He's not a moron. He's not a moron.

have no idea the thing. the things that they're doing, and especially now with such a lawless environment that's going on behind the scenes. We used to have some legal things. We used to have ten poles in the ground. All those ten poles have been yanked up because now it's a free-for-all for all these wealthy MFers to do whatever they want to do. So we have no idea what's being talked about behind the scenes. Are they driving up the price? Is this a legitimate negotiation?

Do they not want Sarandos to have this because they're both politically aligned a certain way, where Sarandos isn't. So there's just a lot of questions around all of this that needs to get clarified. And then you have a Trump administration that's putting their finger on the scale of which way they want the sale to go. So is that going to affect things? So there's just so many moving parts in this that I can't even possibly speculate right now. What's going to happen?

I'm excited to see what happens, though. I am. I'm excited to see it because it's like, okay, we're really going to get one of these two or nobody's going to, they're going to have to operate. and it's going to be a whole a bunch of nothing. And good luck. And let's see if they could. What a story that would be if nobody bought them at all.

And they had to like kind of build, not build back up. It's not like they're like, you know, yeah, but you know what I mean? Like to see them like, okay, we don't have, we didn't sell. Yeah. And we got ourselves back to prominence without anybody. That'd be an interesting story too. Yeah, but that's not as Laslo's, uh, he's trying to sell this thing.

I know. I know. He's been since he bought it since he bought in the first. Exactly. Yeah. 100%. So there's some people who are saying that they said that Netflix is a frontrunner right now to buy Warner Bros. I just feel like that guy, Ellison, does not like to be told no. Yeah. And I feel like Ellison can play with Sarandos all day long. Yeah. I just think that guy, he plays on a whole other level, man. And you think Sarandos being in charge of Netflix means anything to Ellison?

Like Ellison literally plays a very powerful guy and very good at what he does. But the fact that the richest man in the world Can play with you. There's not many times you can say that there's someone who could probably get the better of Sarandos. But this time you can you could potentially say that. But then look, this could up his stake Sarandos if he does get that win. Yeah. It's major.

I'm very curious to hear what he says here. Recently came from an excerpt from a coffee table book about the making of the Star War Series acclap in the book. Leslie Headland revealed that the original plans for the stranger, Manichinto saw him forming the earliest incarnation of the Knights of Wren first introduced in Star Wars of Force Awakens. As such, he was not a Sith per se. The only real Sith we saw in the series was a brief glimpse of Darth Plagis,

the Sith Lord, we know eventually served as Emperor Palpatine's master. TV insider recently caught up with Chiquinto and asked for his take on Headland's remarks about her plans. He said, I did run into an article about it, and I think Leslie cleared things up a bit that Apostlepath was at. Camar was one of the first nights of rent, so that was a possibility to explore. I think that would have been maybe more of a master of Padoan relationship with Camer and Bernestra in season two, but who knows, I don't know if we'll ever see it. For Janko, he says, he's very open to return to the role if Lucasfilm asked.

He said, I'm always ready, and I was always loved to run it back if they'd have me. That was a role of a lifetime. I'm incredibly proud of what we did in the act light, and with Oshamir, with that whole relationship. I feel like a lot of that franchise that we currently have, it's missing the romance, it's missing a lot of the love and relationships. We have the big fight scenes and the original stories of these heroic and whatnot, but they don't really have a lot of relationship with other people.

It's a weird thing. And that's why I love the Khomear-Oshah relationship because we were taking it back to having a relationship in this big world. I think we need more of that. I think that that's what made the characters in the story more compelling, as opposed to having just a big fight sequence, which I loved. Second season, MacLight ain't happening. It doesn't mean the end for either the High Republic or potentially his character in any other way. No, it doesn't.

It doesn't mean, but right now you got to give it a rest because it's too, it's too fresh. And it's just, the show just does not carry over and use other things you can do. Yeah. Outside of that. But did you and I speak about this when this Knights of Rent thing when this, I can't remember was last week when this story broke. Last week we talked about, we touched on it, but I don't think we went too deep. It's a terrible idea. It's an absolutely terrible idea to make him the beginning of Knights of Run.

Terrible. Makes no sense whatsoever. and it goes outside of what they already set up in the book, further showing that they don't give a crap about this stuff that they set up in the books, because that's not what, Knights of Run was formed after Return of the Jedi as kind of a lead-up to it. They weren't around back in the High Republic. What's the point? The Sith were building it out.

They would have been an absolutely horrendous decision that I'm glad never happened. But I'm bummed that they didn't use managing into a different show somewhere else. Or like we said, you and I have billion times over. If it would have been him and Daphne Keene, you know, running in that circle and him trying to recruit her and her, whether or not she became the accolade or whatever, it could be a more condensed story with just the two of the twin storyline to me. I disagree with him that that worked. I didn't think that the two of them worked at all. No. The story was a disaster.

So I don't know. What do you make of all this? And will we see him back? I think the fact that they keep asking him questions and he keeps responding. I think to me indicates that he is interested in coming back and there may be like preliminary talks or like kind of behind the scenes conversations that may be happening to say to him like

to make it clear to him like you know we might have plans for in the future we might have something for you to do we like what you did and he's a great talent right so just because he played one role in Star Wars and knocked it out of the park doesn't mean that and the show didn't do well doesn't mean that you need to like now just kind of toss him out with the rest of the show. So to me, I like this idea. I love that he wants to still be around it. I thought Leslie, again, I will say this forever, that I think Leslie got absolutely

castrated trying to do her version of what she wanted to do with that show by Filoni and others, and in the end, people paid for it. But the great actors stand out, and Mani just stood out like crazy in that show with less screen time than a lot of the other actors had, and he was able to really acquit himself well. So to me, I love this idea of the fact that he wants to continue doing it. And I think there are paths for him to come back. Because right now, Christian, the way Star Wars is, if people, if the fan base responds to a character, they need to use them immediately because there's not a lot of characters recently that they've been responding to. And so the ones that do get over, no, it's true. You've got to get them on there. It's part of the thing that, again, in the Star Wars stuff

that I have, is just that it's not a big shocker, but there's just, I don't think anybody's really on the same page of that company right now right it feels that way doesn't it it unfortunately it's true they're just not on the same page like they have the the the teams have very different philosophies of what they want they can't get on the same page they can't figure out certain aspects of what they some people think that they should definitely do this other people think that they shouldn't and they're and they're doing they don't know what they're doing they just still they still don't know what they're doing and that's why you have had movies it's 2019 it's like sports like the Kathleen Kennedy and Theloni and all them,

those are the commissioners of the league. But the teams themselves can't even get together to decide what they need to be doing or what they want in a collective bargaining agreement to even go to the commissioners and be like, okay, this is the deal we need to work out, this negotiation. Yeah, but unfortunately, but unfortunately... Completely different than what the teams want.

I know, but unfortunately, the teams you're talking about are coming up with an idea of like, well, what if we go in this? And then they're getting shot down by management Yeah, every time. Pretty quick because they don't know the way that those others do. And that's like, you're never going to be able to run a company professionally like that and get good results.

You might get lucky in Andor or something, you know, but, but I've said it so many times over for the last three years. You will not get that company back or that brand back. My friend yesterday, my friend James was texting. He's like, he's like going over all his grievances about Star Wars. And I love him. I've known him since he was in the, he was in kindergarten. I've known him.

He's younger than me, but I, but I was, I'm telling him, I'm, I'm giving as many answers, not long answers, but I'm like, at one point I'm like,

you just got to let it go. It's like, it's, you know, you can't get upset about it. You just got to let it go. It's, you have to understand,

But with this management and this team, you are never going to the playoffs. You just not. You just not go into the playoffs unless, you know, other teams have been sold and have gotten better owners and then they win various championships. Look, look at the Dodgers. Yeah. Look at the Dodgers. Dodgers were in a, were, was Star Wars today.

That was the Dodgers about 10, 15 years ago, maybe 20. Then they got bought and then things started happening. And guess what? They won two in a row. Yeah. And they've been in contention every year because they have management that knows what they're doing. The management at Lucasfilm does not know what they're doing. Yeah.

he's got he's got to drive like six days just to get to one one one thing I and I feel so bad for him he tells me he drives to these he drives to these things I mean yeah like he said it's gonna he's got he has the benefit that we're like there are certain movies that I'll go and I'll go see and I'm not and this is just me going into this city and I know I know that my out of the theater reaction people are going to click on more so than the non-spoiler review of it oh yeah yeah I know that but to me so it's like okay is it I'm gonna see it I want to check these things out yeah but you know for the job purpose of it is it gonna is it going to be worth it Dan has the benefit of people are tuning into his reviews because they want us he's so excellent at breaking down film yeah he's got the benefit that his reviews are going to do well and he's got the benefit that his reviews are going to do well. Right. So does it make sense for the gas that he's paying to get there? It's like six hours to get there and six back. Plus the two hours you're getting to watch the movie.

Yeah. You know, uncertain things. So like, the whole day. Is it, is that, you know,

important for his overall business too? And I feel like the answer is resounding yes. Otherwise, you wouldn't be doing it. But yeah, man, it's, it's crazy.

Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, what he does make of the, the box office? Do you think that this is something that should be, concerned or no look it's nothing came out the last few you the variety came out with a breakdown of the box office the last couple of months and it is not a

positive situation oh right what was it what was that we had that on there we didn't recover what was can you break it down for us yeah just quite a few flops that have come out and so what had been like a nice summer has now turned into a bit of a worry to be honest with you from a lot of these studios so we'll see because we'll see how these films perform and even the art house films that would normally do at least a little something have been kind of underperforming. So I think there's a real fear going on in the movie industry about where we're at right now in terms of the box office

for the movies. Because there's a lot of films that people thought would be somewhat success or moderate successes that have been just utter flops. Well, I did see that. And that's ultimately where the conversation started to spawn about because after the Huntgate, they paid Julia Roberts $20 million. Why are you paying Julia Roberts $20 million?

And so here's here's here was my here is five. Well, here's my conversation. My thing. Well, first of all, I didn't know the world. What's it called at the world ends as the world?

What was that movie called what she was in on Netflix? Oh, God. Yeah, I don't remember that. The Ismail one with her and, you know how much money? She got paid for that.

They knew what they were spending on and they got, and they got the word out and they got that, that out there. I talked about this last week when this report came out. You know who I do not blame for them spending $20 million on? Julia Roberts. If, if your,

if your price point, if John Roker's price point is $5,000 to do a show. And you come in and you go, my price point is $5,000 to do your show and I'll do it for three years at $5,000. I said, I can't afford $5,000. And you go, okay, well, that's my price point. Yeah. And we really want John. We really want John and I pay you $5,000 a show to do it. Yeah. That's on me. Um, it's on me. However, unless, Julia, I'm not bad. I know you not. I know you not. Unless you're, unless, however, you're going, if Julia's pick up the phone of looking on, I really want to do your movie. And he's like, we don't have the budget.

And she's like, find the budget, mother. Then that's a problem. That's a problem. But I highly doubt that that's what happened. No, I just think they thought, well, listen, we got to sell the movie. And they used her very much so. Yeah. And they've made a shift in their attitude and approach to these movies, a 20, where they want to spend money.

And they want to great, they got Julia. And the Julia's got a quote. And you got to meet that quote to get her in it. Yeah. And they thought, I think they thought this was going to be a better film. that it was. So the 20 million. They were taking the same shot that one battle after another was taking. Yeah, right.

Like, hey, you know what? It's fine. Maybe we don't make our money back, but this thing's going to be everywhere. Yeah, right. Unfortunately, it wasn't. With studio of due. Yeah. Right. Right.
