Starting point is 00:00:00 What's going on, everybody? What a show we got today. The Batman Part 2 star Colin Farrell. He says that the script is extraordinary. So he gives a little bit more about what Oz is doing. People keep talking about all the Nara Reich, man, Han Solo. People love him and his soul. A lot of people did. Well, I shouldn't say everybody, but a lot of people did.
Starting point is 00:00:25 I did not. But he said there is a return condition that he's got if he returned. The long walk, the reviews are finally in. Gambit, going a little less Cajun in the Doomsday movie. So that and more with myself and Steph Sabra, who will be joining momentarily. Let's get into it. Here we go. Here's the show.
Starting point is 00:00:50 It is Christian Harlov Show here on this Wednesday. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the show here today. It is Christian Harlov Show today. Schedule's a little wonky this week. So Monday we had Roke on. Yesterday was Steph and Mike. Today is Steph Sabra. And normally it's Thursday, but he shifted to Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Chris Carr, who normally is on Wednesday, will be on capes and cows on Friday. Tomorrow I'm taking the day off because, well, not taking the day off, but the live show is taking the day off because I'm trying to put together this back to the future series that we're doing. And the only time that we can do it is tomorrow at this time. So it won't be able to do it tomorrow. So one day off this week. So that's what we'll be doing. So tomorrow there'll be no show, but we will be doing that back to the future will come out pretty soon. I just did my out-of-the-the-the-the-the-reaction for The Conjuring,
Starting point is 00:01:54 last riots. I don't know if the embargo is dropped dead for that. I just have basically my thoughts on it on the out-of-the-the-the-the-the-the-tear. I'm going to shoot my reviews or my review for Long Walk, probably when I get off here today. I have a reaction. I just did for Marvel Zon. zombies. I did do that one. So that and more. But joining me on the show today, normally on Thursdays,
Starting point is 00:02:18 but today she's here with me and that is Steph Sabra. Steph, how are you? Hi, good. How are you? Thanks for joining. Your lighting looks great. I have been messing around with some of the settings. It was on an auto white, because I kept seeing it in my camera and I was like, the lighting's good. I don't get it. And then I would see it on your stream and I was like, I see what he's talking about. It was on an auto white balance. Okay. Well, it looks good. And I think now when we, there, there's no world when you and I are doing reactions together that people should say, why is Christian looked hand next to stuff?
Starting point is 00:02:54 Totally. It's like. So, and I told everybody. So we're taking the day you and I tomorrow to do back to the future too. People have been responding to that. I'm sure you've been getting a lot of comments about back to the future. Yeah. And people have been.
Starting point is 00:03:09 so awesome. It's been great. I was like, okay, few. Yeah, I heard your Harry's story about the, the fact that he had it on the monitor. It's hilarious. It's like his favorite movie ever. It's hilarious. I feel, I feel bad that I, that he didn't get to show to you, show you the movie first. Oh, it's okay. It's okay. Now we can talk about it. Now I understand. Now you can go back and watch it. Sure. There's, there are things, there are little references and stuff that you pick up after you see them. We're watching part two. I disagree with your commenter, though, about how the third one is the worst one. I don't agree with that.
Starting point is 00:03:46 I think they're up pretty long. But nonetheless, we're going to be watching that one. And we'll be watching that tomorrow. That'll probably come out pretty soon. And then, yeah, we've already, we've been moving. We've been grooving. So things are good. Roxy is supposed to be on today.
Starting point is 00:04:01 She couldn't do it. She had to move. She was, well, she was going to be on today. And she wasn't going to be on Tuesday. day and then she was like actually vice versa so it's me and you again kid so here we go rock on indeed uh let's get to some of these topics because we have quite a few of them let's get to this first one i mentioned the batman mentioned colin feral and so batman part two star colin feral says that the sequel script is extraordinary and reveals the extent of oz's role batman part two star colin feral
Starting point is 00:04:37 has he praised on Matt Reeves script for the long-awaited sequel and sets the record straight on the possibility of a second season of the Penguin. Josh Wilding writes, the Batman was released in 2022 and like Batman begins before it, the movie was a critical and commercial success. Unfortunately, a sequel has taken much longer to materialize than many fans would like, though a five-year wait is only one year longer than the gap between the Dark Night and the Dark Night Rise. Penguin TV show series has helped bridge the gap when it premiered on HBO last year, and Colin Feller will prize his role as Oz Cobb. in the Batman Part 2.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Deadline has confirmed that the movie began shooting in April 2026 and recently caught up with Farrell to get his take on the script, which he recently has been lucky enough to read. He said, I haven't got too much to do on it, just a little bit. I read the script and it's extraordinary. Farrell said on several occasions on Oz's role in the Batman Part 2 will be minimal, so this confirmation isn't hugely surprising. In some ways, it felt like the penguin was setting the stage for him to be the Batman
Starting point is 00:05:35 follow-up's big bat has got. the city's new kingpin of crime. However, we've also heard that Reeves might be planning to do more with Oz in the third as the spotlight shifts to a different villain in the second chapter. Fans of question why Batman didn't do anything about Oz's rise to power. However, if his intentions were elsewhere, I might explain how the penguin has established himself as a crime lord, leaving the dark night unable to do much about it now that he cemented his power.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Asked by the trade about doing further episodes of the penguin, Farrell said, I have no idea if it's happening. I know that I heard rumblings that they were thinking they'd like to do a second season. But I don't know if it's a good idea. I don't know the way you go back to the trough. Add to me, sorry, and part of me just wants to go, let it go. People, we got away with it, leave it as it is. He added, but look, they came up with a fantastic idea of something like that.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Of course, I'd be open to it. Little to nothing is known about Reef Plants to the Batman Part 2, though the rumor mill suggests we'll see the hero do battle with hush with Robin and his side. We'll see if that pans out, but the movie appears to be a far bigger priority than the brave and bold. right so kind of a lot here step um what do you make of colin feral's comments on uh on the script being extraordinary i think that's i mean i wouldn't be surprised that's i always think it's reinforcing when the main actor involved is like it's extraordinary especially someone who's like talked very honestly about how hard it is to even think about getting back and
Starting point is 00:07:07 to the role just because of the amount of makeup and prosthetics and the hours and hours that he sat on the chair. So I feel like that's exciting news for sure. I have been kind of confused about what the direction is going to be because it was so well received, but also at a time when DC is just kind of shuffling everything around. But it seems promising. What are your thoughts on it? Yeah, it's, look, I don't think that Colin Farrell is going to be asked you on this. No, no, right away and people rightfully would say, well, what do you want him to say? Of course he's going to say it's extraordinary. Of course he's going to hype it up.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Yeah, but I think when it comes to this property and he's going to be a valued voice because he did so much to add to this particular universe with what he did in the penguin. So I think that, yeah, I believe it. Plus, the fact, he's not, he says he's not in it that much. It also makes sense that if you're not going to do a second season of the penguin and the way that you left it open ended at the end with the bat signal, basically calling him out saying, hey, you got to do something about this guy. Then let the second season be the third movie, if you know what I'm saying. Like it is like that's basically where it all comes to a head. You have him do something in two. And then the third one, you make him the main antagonist.
Starting point is 00:08:31 And that's how you close this thing out. Yeah. Yeah, that would make sense. And to say something's extraordinary is pretty intense if it's not. Like I get if someone's like, the script was really good. But I don't know. I feel like there's a little bit more believability in saying something is extraordinary. And I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:53 I'm not quite sure you guys can correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't often hear Colin Farrell like coming out talking about scripts. Yeah. Yeah. And he's going to be asked about this. So as far as the priority goes with Raven the Bowl, and this of course i mean look they if they want to keep if they want to keep matt reeves happy that's probably part of the agreement it's like okay well we're putting we got to put emphasis on this
Starting point is 00:09:15 don't start promoting your batman movie now when we got to try to promote this because then there's going to be that thing of well which one are we which which batman is the is the is the bigger project right now and it's like when you've got to wait and if you have other characters right now matt reeves just in dc matt raves just has batman it's all he's got. So that's his big focus. James Gunn doesn't have to focus on Brave and the Bolt. He can make it something that happens later on. He can focus on Wonder Woman. He can do more Supergirl stuff. He can do other things that are happening inside. He could, he could bring in the flash if he wanted to. He could bring in all these other characters. He can do another Superman movie
Starting point is 00:09:54 to eventually give you enough time. So he doesn't have to do Brave and the Bold. I think Batman should come in, their Batman should come in eventually. But what do you think about the priority being the Batman part two um i'm in terms of the greater DC you and brave in batman part two being a priority in that universe in the universe we're in now i i don't know i don't find it as much as a priority i i love that reeves and what he did and i love robert patinson as the batman but it's like kind of becoming feels like it's becoming kind of difficult I don't think you need to introduce a Batman instantaneously. Like I wouldn't mind waiting, but I also am like, if it just doesn't work because we've seen it so often times in this industry, like great projects sometimes never get made.
Starting point is 00:10:52 And if that's the case, then I think I would be okay with that and then moving forward in a different direction with Batman. But I would be very excited to see a Batman part two. But in terms of making it a priority, it's like I just don't know. it seems like there was so much up in the air with Matt Reeves personally that I it feels odd to try to force that one. We have no idea what his life looks like. Yeah, we know it now, but it seems like it's happening now. I mean, they're going to start shooting it in 2026. I believe that it'll hit this October 1st now because now it now it's.
Starting point is 00:11:26 You do because remember the first one had so many reshoots and delays and did the first movie have a lot of dollars? I don't know if it was delays, but they were talking. talking about how grueling of a filming process it was because of just Matt Reeves filming style in general. Really? I don't remember that. Very well could be the case. I don't remember it as much. But I, but I, yeah, but I, but I, right. I forgot that they're like kind of confirmed that it's,
Starting point is 00:11:53 I think that's, yeah, I think because there's this kind of seems like a certain rhythm that happens, right? Like when, when the rhythm is, it seems like we're leading, people are now talking about a cast is talking about a leaving up the script, is now done as opposed to where's the script we don't know we haven't gotten the script in yet now that's when it's like all over the place when the script is in now and it's like yeah we're supposed to start shooting meeting the year and we have this locked date what has happened a bunch of times though
Starting point is 00:12:18 is that the release date of when the movie was supposed to come out has moved four or five different times that maybe that's what you're thinking about like the second movie kept at one point it was supposed to have come out already like the movie so like and it just kept kept getting pushed back because there was that they didn't have anything Now I think they have something and I think that it will happen in the time that it's supposed to. So we'll see, we'll see. But I got to ask you guys, what do you think about this? You think that this is a good thing?
Starting point is 00:12:48 Is it a priority going to happen with the Batman Part 2? Brave and Bold should it be the priority with D.C.? Where do you stand with everything and do you think that this actually will be extraordinary? As Colin Farrell says, put your thoughts in there. We want to know. Okay. So I want to get into a couple other things here. And I think that one of the things that I'm excited to talk about, I didn't look at this trailer,
Starting point is 00:13:11 though, stuff, but a new TV spot drop for Wicked for Good today. I know you're very excited about that. Oh, yes. I'll let you pick here, though. What do you want to talk about? You want to talk about the Han Solo revelations on Alden-Arenreich or the Long Walk reviews being in? Oh, Long Walk reviews, maybe? Okay, let's do that first because that one, so I've been giving me.
Starting point is 00:13:35 my kind of my brief thoughts on it. I couldn't get a kind of a detailed review on it just yet because the bargo has just dropped. But now it's out. Let's see what everybody's saying about it. I haven't seen it yet. You know what I thought about it. But here are the reviews thus far. Long Walk reviews are indeed in. Okay. So the Long Walk. This movie is based on the Stephen King book. this is directed by same guy I can't even freaking hunger games oh my god Francis Lawrence
Starting point is 00:14:12 Lawrence Lawrence. Thank you. Reviews are pouring in for the Francis Loras directed Stephen King adaptation along walking up. The most part, they're really good. And Rotten Tomatoes for the most part, 92% is pretty damn good. Rotten Tomatoes 92% while a Metacritic is 80 out of 100, pulling in some of the best numbers for a genre film this year.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Reveal Scope, one of the best King adaptations to date with a praise for the performance and how the hardcore the film is unflinching and its portrayal of the key event that gives the movie its title. Sampling and reviews, Liz Shannon Miller. I was always getting the first one here. Long walk offers a gripping premise. A lot of characters who feel more like loose sketches and fully realized personalities and an era that maybe has some minor pacing problems towards the end,
Starting point is 00:14:50 but it's pretty impossible to turn away from. Huh, I'm usually on par with Liz Shannon Miller, and I agree with the ending of her thing there, but it's pretty impossible to turn away from. The other stuff, I think the characters are pretty, I was locked into him. Whether Long Walk will combat King adaptation fatigue is to be seen, but it manages to recapture the intensity and melancholy of the earliest films
Starting point is 00:15:14 inspired by his work in a way that few recently have. Okay, that's germane. I like Jermaine. Long Walk is brutal. It's not for the faint of heart. It can be violent, disgusting, and incredibly hard to watch. But if you do watch it, you'll be rewarded with surprisingly beautiful, nuanced human story.
Starting point is 00:15:28 I agree with all of that. Tessa Smith, boast incredible performances all around, extremely, difficult to watch even for those who know what they're getting into. Viewers will have to, are their eyes glued to the screen hanging on every moment, brilliantly done. Okay. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Steph, do you have an interest in this movie? I love Stephen King. I do. And that's not to say that I've seen every Stephen King movie, but the ones that I have seen and the books that I have read of his, I just, he's, he is really incredible. but on the same side of that coin he just goes to places that really scare me so some of the movies like i'll see because i like i really enjoy him as a storyteller and this one has some actors i'm i really really like and i would love to see but the reviews it's like yeah i know this is going to be a good movie but man like a
Starting point is 00:16:30 hard watch. That's like the that's the takeaway for me. That's like almost everybody is like it's a hard watch. It's a hard watch. Um, this movie's awesome. It's one of my favorites of the year. It's in the top three. Um, right now potentially. I don't know. It's it's it's awesome. And I wasn't expecting anything from it. I didn't even know about it until one of our comments or said, hey, you should see it. There are definitely some moments that you have to, that you'll probably turn your head away from them. But I don't think in the way that you think doesn't make it any less, you know, it's, it's not like it's, it's not like a horror movie at all. It's more of like it's it's really it's like the hunger games meets stand by me.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Like maze runnery. Yeah, but, but definitely more hardcore than that. Okay. Where as, you know, or like even like squid game meets, um, stand by me, you know, uh, have you ever seen stand by me? Yeah, I love standby me. So it's, so it's, it's that and it's got that feeling. And both Cooper Hoffman and David Johnson steal the show. I mean, they're, they're phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:17:40 It's, it's their movie, and they take the ball and they run with it. And you're really locked into it and they treat it like this. Do you know the premise of the movie? That they have to walk at like five miles per hour, nonstop or something? No, there's no, there's no, that, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, the gimmick of the screenings. You got to walk. There's these treadmills that you got to walk three miles an hour to watch the whole movie.
Starting point is 00:18:05 And if you go under three miles an hour, they escort you out of the theater. No, no, no. For this, it's like you've got to. I mean, there is a certain pace you have to keep up on. It's not five miles an hour, but you've got to keep up at a certain pace. You've got to just be walking. You just have to make sure that you're walking. And if you stop walking, you're out.
Starting point is 00:18:24 And not in the way, and not in the way you want to be out. So basically the last person standing with no destination and whoever wins gets like a major prize. It's almost like you're watching like this warped reality show in the way that they set up like running man. But you're watching this whole thing and they're they're introducing these cast of characters and you don't and you're wondering who's going to win and what's going to happen and how they're going to do it. And when people go out, you're like, oof, it is. And that's that's where the accurate reviews to me, the things who are the same, it's like you're watching and you can't. turn away because you're so locked into it. But then when something, and it's almost like the same thing the characters are going through.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Like they're like, oh, I can't watch that. I have to watch it. Oh my God. And there's just certain things and even not necessarily even in like deaths and stuff, but more like just like things that the human had like think about if you had, if you were, if you were walking and and you just kept walking for days and miles and miles and 100, 200 and 300 and 300 miles. eventually certain parts of your body you're going to want to do things right they don't
Starting point is 00:19:31 away from that okay that's what i was thinking that was going to happen and then they can't stop for i mean do they have water on them like do they have what they have on them i'm saying i don't want to get too much seats i don't know okay okay okay okay but there's thing that there's just things that that happen um that is just like you know it's like questions you start to ask well wait a minute What are they going to do with this? Oh, they're going to show you. Yeah, it's, it is, it's really, it's really, it's, it's, it is. There are times that it's, it's hard to watch because of how like almost realistic it is, but,
Starting point is 00:20:09 but it's not, it doesn't feel gratuitous. It feels like, oh, that's what, that's what, yeah, you want to get, you're getting the impact of what this is. It's a very well done film by Francis Lawrence, one of his best. Mark Hamill, who I love, obviously, there are a couple of times when he's a little cartoony as the major, but it still has the impact that it's intended to. Sometimes it feels like he might be in a different movie
Starting point is 00:20:38 than what David Johnson and Cooper Hoffman are in. That makes sense. Okay, yeah, yeah. Yeah, but it's really, really great. It's really, really great. But overall, you're one of your, favorite movies of the year yeah and surprisingly like feels like sinners that movie and weapons are sinners might have been in my anticipated just because of Ryan Cougar I don't remember I can go back and look at my list
Starting point is 00:21:06 I think it was it might it it my means Ryan Cougar so I wouldn't be surprised if it was in there but the other two weren't even on my radar at all and now they're the fact that these genre movies are making know for me it's like they're it's it's either they're they're all playing around in the top five now could that be shuffled around by the end of the year of course but right now right yeah yeah it's actually been really awesome to see and i guess and horror has a way of doing this or like thrillers in general the word of mouth of it all between weapons and the long walk has been awesome and i've been because i didn't hear about them until i started to see like a few things just off of just because we're so in this space,
Starting point is 00:21:53 but I feel like now is the time where I always compare it with my parents. They would have heard about weapons and probably the long walk in the next few days. Yeah, and I think that they both do pretty well. It's funny because we were doing our summer movies thing yesterday. Basically, me, Roxy and Mike were just saying our top three from three to one.
Starting point is 00:22:15 Then I kept messing up. I kept going, well, you know, I would probably put long walk as my number three. wait a minute the movie hasn't even come out yet it's not a summer movie um and then i said no sinners then i have to probably be number three i'm like we come on eight so i so we had our we had our list i think my final list was naked gun um weapons and um number one was f1 okay yeah yeah f1's doing really good at least on prime i feel like it took the number one spot for purchased movies very quickly, which was cool to see.
Starting point is 00:22:52 I guess that makes sense. It's like a fun at home movie for sure. What was your own? You're a three idea. I haven't seen weapons yet. I actually think I'm going to like weapons. Yeah. I do love like a great thriller, even if it is a little scary.
Starting point is 00:23:07 But probably, I don't know, Fantastic Four. Or maybe Naked Gun Fantastic Four Super man. Okay, that's good ones. I still need to see weapons in Long Walk. Okay. Well, how about you guys? Do you want to see the Long Walk? Put your thoughts in there. Let me
Starting point is 00:23:32 know, are you encouraged by these reviews? Well, what you should be encouraged about trade coffee. And you know, I'm going to tell you about all of our sponsors right now. I'll tell you about all of them. Trade coffee. You're going to tell you about upside. You can tell me about prize picks. Tell you about all about them right now. and hopefully you want to help out the show. You want to get yourself something good.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I'll tell you about all of them, and then we'll be right back. I don't know if I could rave about trade anymore that I do, but man, let me try because I love it. Summer's over now. It's getting to be over. And so I'm just locked into this morning routine, and I love trade coffee. I really do look forward to wake up in the morning. Oh, trade coffee, here we go.
Starting point is 00:24:12 They recommend beans that I love. They know me well enough now. And they ensure that they're roasted to order. They ship them fresh to my door. I've gotten so many great coffees. I would have definitely never found these at the grocery store. There's no way. And every cup is really perfect.
Starting point is 00:24:27 I just love it. It's so damn satisfying. Trade coffee is the number one coffee destination in the U.S. for both hot and cold coffee drinkers. They've sourced the best beans from over 50 top roasters across the U.S. They even have easy to use curated gear so you can brew at home with better flavor and value than any cafe or bottled cold brew.
Starting point is 00:24:47 I'm telling you, it's like my morning, I have trade. I don't, if you know my show, you know how much I love trade. It's just the best. The bags that they send are great. I have the, I'm able to, I grind the beans. I love them and I've never gone back. Right now, trade is offering 50% off a one-month trial,
Starting point is 00:25:08 but you've got to go to drinktrade.com slash Christian. That's drinktrade.com slash Christian. Get 50% off one month. Drinktrade.com slash Christian. Go there. Tell them that we sent you. Love trade coffee. I love trade go.
Starting point is 00:25:21 This episode is brought to you by prize picks. So you and I make decisions every day, but price picks, being right can get you paid. That's what we want. Don't miss any of the excitement this season. Go to prize picks where it's good to be right. So football coming up for me, I'm always, I know sometimes I should wait with the Giants, but I'm always looking for that magic and they're going to bring it this year. So for me, that's what I'm always looking at.
Starting point is 00:25:48 I'm always looking at the Giants and looking for things that are going to happen. And for me, I have been very beneficial with certain things when it comes to prize picks. It's pretty fun. It's simple, to be honest with you. And you can highlight some of your favorite players, and it's pretty great. So you can do something whether it's, hey, so-and-so is going to have more or less than one rushing touchdowns. There's going to be more or less than 2.5 passing touchdowns. Starting point is 00:29:50 You take your phone with you. You're on your phones. But it's like you can like walk and listen while it's on. No, Michael. It's not a joke. Stick it up your asshole. It's a joke. Eat it.
Starting point is 00:30:04 You know, it doesn't work in my store, Michael. Trade coffee is so good. And it's not stupid. All the stuff here, I actually, most of it I've had or have gotten for someone. I know I've been talking about it. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:19 It's like actually legit, I'm such a coffee snob. I do espresso or or trade coffee. That's it. Right. I'm obsessed with that. No, but I honestly thought you guys were all on your phones. I take my phone to go and I go see or stand up and stretch and you listen. Well, either way, I only get people on this show that I think you guys are going to love and that's why I've been telling you about them.
Starting point is 00:30:45 So. Right. Um, make sure you definitely got to get you got to get trade. Trade is awesome. Trade coffee is legit like honestly, the days of going to get coffee and then having to get it. Like, no, just get your, get your subscription. 100%. Um, okay. So step, I forgot to say you. So you need to, you're trying to go up against Roxy and Mike right now at 83. Okay. Okay. We can do this. Currently you're at 14. It's not bad. Not bad. Not bad. So let's see. We got some other stuff. And I think that one of the ones that I brought up beforehand too. And that was this Alden Aaron Rank story. Let's talk about this. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. All right. All right. All right. He has a Han Solo return condition. What is it? Is it to make a good movie? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:31:45 be we'll see while some say the divisive reaction to star was last jettys what started it it was really solo a star war story that got disney to sit up and realize not all was going great with this mega franchise began with the major behind-the-scenes issues and retooling that saw ron hower replacing phil lord and chris miller a shift that required massive reshoots that blew out the budget to two hundred and seventy-five three hundred million it then got very apparent though when the film opened in bomb pulling in just 393.2 million worldwide, a far cry from the three previous Star Wars films, Disney films, which all cleared one billion, reviews are quite mixed. As for Alden-Aren Reich, the film's failure was a bit of a blow, but the actor has since gone on to solid films like Fair Play, Cocaine
Starting point is 00:32:31 Beer, Oppenheimer, and most recently a major role in weapons, as well as Marvel's Ironheart. Speaking with Collider, recently, the actor said he's open to returning to the part once more, but would have to be under specific condition. He said, it would really have to be really the right version of it, the character. He also touched upon the film's trouble production and its impact on him. Making a movie is stressful no matter what. Your job as an actor in a way is to use the energy that's happening around you. And sometimes that energy involves stress, but the characters are under stress.
Starting point is 00:33:00 There are very few characters who are just having a ball. So it's contributive sometimes. As long as it's an environment where the people feel safe, it sets the stage for a lot of things that I get to do now. And it's a great platform. and there were some really great times during it. I'm happy I get to do what I do now. Whether you get a chance to see more Young Han Solo Ventures, it's another question.
Starting point is 00:33:18 There was talk of a Lando TV series spinoff from Solo for a while, but that seems to have peered out, petered out, excuse me, but a second season of Asoka and the film Star Wars Starfighter are currently in production with more movies on the way, but none are expected to involve the trilogy lead characters. I'm going to repeat some of the points that I've made before in this, and I'm also going to say,
Starting point is 00:33:40 well, I'm both positive and negative. I really like Alderman Reich a lot. I think he's a, A, I like the way he carries himself. I like these comments I thought were classy. I think that's how you do it. That's how you say, look, yeah, the things that didn't go right, there were other things that also provided me a lot of opportunity or other things I could do. There's some disappointment and give a break down as far as why.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Love that. I really dig him as an actor. I think he was great in Oppenheimer and he was great in weapons. and I don't think it was his fault. I don't think he was properly cast in solo. I think that what I was thinking, what I've been saying, and I hate that this sounds like an insult
Starting point is 00:34:20 because it really is not meant to be. He's just not cool, Alden Aaron Reich. You know what I mean? Like, he's, like, Han Solo's cool, right? Like, the majority of roles that he plays, Aaron Reich, they're not cool characters, and he shines at him. And he's good at that.
Starting point is 00:34:36 He's good at being, like, kind of awkward and in weapons and kind of troubled in weapons. He's good and being awkward in Ironheart and, and kind of like a tight ass in Oppenheimer. He's great of that stuff. He just doesn't have that cool factor that Han Solo had. Like they showed some AI thing like Taryn Edgerton as as, what's his name?
Starting point is 00:35:00 Taryn Egerton, right? Is that the one I'm thinking of? Yeah. Are you talking about who played Elton John? Yes, in Kingsman. And they showed him walking. walking around as Han Solo and some AI thing, whatever. And I was like, oh, he's just got that swag.
Starting point is 00:35:11 You know, it just has that thing about him. And it's because of that and a lot of other things, stay away from this character. Just stay away from it. There's no need to do it. I liked how he answered it, but no need. Do you feel opposite or how do you feel about this? I think that I, it's so hard to really know what his performance could have been like because I didn't love the script or like the end production.
Starting point is 00:35:37 of solo but I will say I don't think you're wrong in terms of I loved him in Ironheart and I love him in like a lot of the roles he does there's honestly not been one thing that I have I've been like oh I don't like him I think he's like really cool he kind of given me like this Rami Malick type vibe where I'm like you could play like the nerd or like is he a villain is he the good guy like he has range to him for sure but I I see what you mean in terms of like Han Solo has a certain just just like automatic swag factor without saying anything. And it's just part of like the part of like how he carries himself out of appearance. So I don't really know, but I will say that I like him better in. I adored him in Ironheart. He was like one of my favorite characters. He really made the show for me. I love that character.
Starting point is 00:36:30 I'm excited to see him in the long walk. So and I think a part of the reason he said, weapons. weapons. Oh, weapons, weapons. The part of the reason that he said this is because, like, I'm sure it's like weighed on him, you know, and like he wants to get out, if I was him,
Starting point is 00:36:47 I'll say this, if I was him, and the production was that crazy and, you know, there was different directors, different visions. I would want to just get off my chest one time, real classy, like, basically, that wasn't the best thing
Starting point is 00:37:03 I could have done. I couldn't do anything. Yeah, it sucks for him. That sucks for him on so many different levels. There's such a big moment for him in his career to get cast in that role to be working with Lord and Miller. And then all this crap goes down after you and you're basically, you're following up two billion dollar movies or three billion dollar movies at that point, right? Yeah, three billion dollars movies at that point. And you're like, it's one, two, three.
Starting point is 00:37:32 and then here you go and then there's these problems and you start to wonder inside of your head in general, is it are the problems me or is it this, is it that? Oh my God, I got to follow Harrison Ford and now all this is happening. Like, nobody, that's, that stress sucks. So I, and never, I don't, I don't, and I don't think that his performance, and I've said this many times over, I don't think his performance was bad at all. His performance was good. I just think the movie would have served better. It was a different character in general. It could have made a different original character at that point and done that. But either way, I'd like to see him do other things in general. I never understood the hashtag make solo thing happen. It was like, nobody wants that. I don't understand why we're
Starting point is 00:38:17 doing that. To me, that would be a waste of money. Yeah. Yeah, I was, I understand, though, want for Lando because I just as for me like I just see Lando as being like so much more to explore in the story but he's a Han Solo is a main character from the moment he walks in on the screen in the first movie he is a main character and we got to know a lot about him yeah I there was a part when they were in production I'm like it would be cool to know like how Han became Han and like how he ended up meeting everybody and became like the centauri pilot, but now I'm like, I, I'm on the other side of like, you know, I'm on the and or hype where I'm like, let's explore other characters, you know? 100%. All right. What do you guys think? I know that there are a lot of people who disagree with me and that think he was a great Hansel.
Starting point is 00:39:14 John Hoey, I'm looking at you. So put your thoughts in there and do you think that he should return? Could he return? And were your overall thoughts on him? Make sure if you're commenting on. this live stream on the replay on the clips channel make sure you do it all right let's get to the last topic for now until we um then we'll do the questions so speaking of we have some more stuff with um there is it where it go there it is there's we talked about some marvel stuff before and next year's going to be pretty big and you got doomsday coming out and we knew that Channing Tatum had been cast as Gambit. They're finally bringing Gambit in
Starting point is 00:40:00 into the, I guess, larger MCU. He's course in Deadpool, Wolverine. Channing Tatum has confirmed he'll be dialing down his Cajun accent as Gambit in the upcoming Avengers Doomsday at Marvel Studios. He finally got to play the role in Deadpool Wolverine last summer. His take being an instant scene stealer and quickly let him to join in the Avengers cast lineup.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Part of the fun in Deadpool Wolverine was that the accent was so thick that Deadpool couldn't understand barely anything he said. Now, speaking with variety while promoting Roofman, Tatam said his take on the character is quite different in Doomsday. He confirmed that he's not going, whole Cajun, adding that the Marvel execs really had to wrap their mind around the accent and how people are going to understand him. He also indicates he's going to get serious in the movie. Directors Anthony and Jerusalem want things to be funny, but they don't want to go full Deadpool. They want to keep the drama and keep it tight. When Gambit gets serious, when he drops the Marty Grah mask, things do matter.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Tatum Suntabble was involved in much of the filming as Tatum injured his leg early into filming and could only do a limited amount of action. He also confirmed he has a big fight with Dr. Doom in the film, which has been shooting since April. I love this story. I love this story. You cannot take the tone and characters in how they're portrayed in Deadpool for a full movie in something like the Avengers Doomsday and have him cracking these jokes. And every time he comes on board, you're going, oh, here comes another comic, a comic bit. You can't change Deadpool. Deadpool's always going to be Deadpool, but you can change a version and a variant version of
Starting point is 00:41:35 of Gambit that it's more serious and let us let him shine a little bit. Shunning Tatum's another guy who's improved dramatically from when he started to where he is now. He'll pull this off, I think. I, I disagree with you in the sense that I've thought he came with that ever since step up. He had all the release Hardson Step Up and ever since then I appreciate his work on screen Gambit was hysterical
Starting point is 00:42:02 I think it's totally in the range of the writer and the director to tweak a character depending on the tone of a movie and that doesn't change you know that that's not like outside the rules and I think that's actually a smart way to play with
Starting point is 00:42:18 characters I think that makes total sense anytime Gambit was on screen who's actually hysterical. Like even when I think about him, his lines, it makes me laugh. I hope that they have a little bit, like kind of more of, I would say, like, Iron Man type humor
Starting point is 00:42:34 where it's like he gets serious when he needs to, but when there's a time for like a good joke, then that would be nice to have it. But it seems like Doomsday is going to be a more serious tone anyways. And I appreciate, I think it's a great story just hearing that they're respecting the tone of this certain movie and they're not trying to go to Marvel humory for it.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Yeah, I mean, look, Russo's always did a good job. I thought of adding humor in when it was necessary in their movies. I think it worked in Civil War. It worked in Infinity War and an endgame and like little things. And they usually relied on Downey for a lot of it too, although Thor had a lot of stuff, but I think they need to get away from Thor being a comedic character. But there's tons of other characters they can use for comedic stuff. And I think it'll be, I think it'll work fine.
Starting point is 00:43:19 But I think we need to see a version of Gambit where you get you don't want because the other thing you don't want to do is he's only been at Taylor Kitch before him. And then they did such a great job with him on X-Men 97 that you want to be able to show the audience that's getting familiar with him. Like what he really could be about, you know? Right. Yeah. Yeah. Gambit's awesome in the series. So it is true. It's like I feel like there was a lot. Gambit was divisive in Deadpool, even considering the tone.
Starting point is 00:43:49 which was kind of surprising to me, but I understand because humor is so subjective. And so it didn't work for some people. And that, and I feel like his character every time before was more, had more range and depth to it. So I feel like it's smart to introduce him kind of in that way where it's more digestible, more usable in terms of his powers and wanting him around for certain scenes. Yeah. So what do you guys think overall when it comes to this story and when it comes to Gambit? You think that this is a good choice? Should have been somebody all together.
Starting point is 00:44:29 What say you? All right. Steph, I lied. We do have one more story and it's a big one. Okay. It's a big story. I never get this. So I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:44:39 There was a big announcement right now. And I'm going to ask Luke, actually, this story is so big that I'm going to ask Luke to change the thumbnail of this show. And it changed a picture of this show. The thing Luke's a legend. He's probably already on it. Yeah. James Gunn just announced a new movie stuff. He announced the movie.
Starting point is 00:44:59 You want to see what the movie is? It's 2027 the movie. Yes. That movie is Superman, the sequel, Man of Tomorrow, is July 9th, 2027. So that's based, let's see, DCU updates. This is, you see this now. Manit tomorrow, I assume, now is this a sequel or is animated?
Starting point is 00:45:23 I assume that this is live action, right? Yeah. One would assume it's kind of vague. I'll wait to see what the audience, what else they can give me here. But I feel like, let me close that down. I don't know what this means. I don't know what this means. Is it live action?
Starting point is 00:45:44 Is it, I would assume it, It's live action. I would assume that it's going to play into some more because apparently there's a comic of the same name that is credible, the people dig. This will be something obviously that Winston and Chris can cover on Friday. But now we're, I mean, not, but this is a big story in a lot of different reasons. One, it, it confirms that you are indeed doing a sequel, even though you said you weren't doing a sequel. So I don't know if you, I don't understand why he does that. If this is a direct scene. sequel. I don't understand why he does that. Well, no, no, I'm not actually doing a direct sequel. And then you do a direct sequel. What do you do that? If that's the case, I don't know if it is direct sequel or not. Um, the other thing is, it means you've been working on it for a bit. And now you're ready to announce it because that's two years from now. That's, that's, that's right. That is fast. So he definitely was working on it. Um, but when they, when they, when they asked him, it was direct sequel, he said, no. I don't, I don't understand. Uh, anyway.
Starting point is 00:46:46 What do you think about this? The fact, is this the right move? Because basically they're going, this goes back to our previous story with Batman. They're going all in on the super family right now in general. You got Superman comes out this year. Supergirl comes out next year. The Superman sequel, it looks like, comes out in 2027.
Starting point is 00:47:06 And then you can start playing with Wonder Woman. And then you could get to Brave in the Bowl the following year. But do you see it differently? No, that may, this. is what I thought was going to happen. And then to your point, I was kind of taken, like, deterred from that because he said that it wasn't necessarily a direct sequel. But we had this conversation and I said we were just like making predictions. I was when like the more general statement came out about another Superman movie and we were discussing whether it was going to be
Starting point is 00:47:40 Superman with other of the characters getting introduced or if it was going to be a direct Superman sequel. I always wanted just like a more direct Superman sequel with Supergirl and really live in the entire new space that was created with the first Superman movie that just came out. They've definitely, what's weird is that they have obviously been writing this for a long time if it's already been announced and going to be out in just two years. That means they're going to start filming really soon. This kind of goes more in line with what I had thought based on what David Corrower. and so what was talking about signing on to a sequel already. He kind of the way I interpreted it was that it was going to be more of just a Superman sequel. I've heard for years about Man of Tomorrow as a comic.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Um, and I think that that makes sense knowing James Gunn love of the comics. And I feel like that's a great story to tell. It looks like it Lex Luthor, right? That's Lex Luthor, suited up. It seems like it. So, um, that's what it. kind of seem to me that this was, you know, Batman Joker situation where that wasn't the end of Lex and see him in a more powerful, more villainous state and then kind of what happens next from there.
Starting point is 00:48:59 But I'm excited about this. This makes more sense to me. I think that this builds it out a little bit stronger and just focuses on this before you start bringing in, you know, Wonder Woman having her own installment and other major characters. I'll tell you why I think it is also. I mean, like I said, a really good move is because if you, if you don't do this and you don't do Superman, this sequel, it's like you, well, you're also run the risk. You got to start doing two movies a year right away, right? Because and then people can be burnt out quick and then you're measuring success of what the one did earlier in the year to what the one did at the end of the year. Um, because if you do a one movie a year and you do Supergirl next year and then whatever else comes out the year after that and then some of the, then you're next Superman sequel is going to be whenever the hell that is and you're trying to have this narrative to your universe. This makes sense to do. It's okay, let's just knock the super, Super Girl out, Superman 2.
Starting point is 00:50:02 Boom. We've established them as our powers for our universe. Now let's build around them. Let's build around what our tone is now. Gun. I mean, I think it's a lot for Gun to do though. was he doing it did he announce that he's directing the sequel also i would assume that he is but i mean man that's like maybe he's just in the vibe right he's he's just he's in the zone right now and he's like
Starting point is 00:50:21 i'm so in this world and i'm so there this is the beauty of him being this the creative guy too because normally what he would have to do if he wasn't the creative guy uh behind um dc studios and get things greenland what he'd have to do is oh i got a new thing for guardians i got this thing for guardians that i want to do i'm going to write it i'm so much in the zone. Let me call Kevin. James, it's great. We like it, but the problem is right now, it's, it's matching up with this and that we probably wouldn't be able to get it out for another three or four years right now. And we want to put you on this instead. We want to shoot some scenes here instead, but we're not ready for guardians just yet. Whereas this,
Starting point is 00:50:58 he's like, oh, you know what? I have this in my mind. It's fresh. I'm taking it to Peter. I'm going to take it up to Zazlov. This is our next, this is it. I have the sequel. I'm going to base it off this comic. This is it. This is our narrative. This is the beauty of him being the CE, you know. Yeah, definitely. And it's like when you have one person who is kind of controlling the overall storyline, there's just, it's a lot of pressure. It's a lot of work, but there is less room for error in terms of congruency because he, it's one person. And it's not like all. And I'm sure he has like a trusted team. Like people are asking, which is the same questions I'm asking like, how is he writing this much? And it's he probably has a great writer's room. And it's, he probably has a great writer's
Starting point is 00:51:42 room, you know, where they've just, I've had meetings after meetings just running off ideas and that's already settled. And now they kind of have this space to just get these scripts done and get them into production and have this like full thought. And I'm sure they waited a little bit for reception to kind of really move forward. But the reception has been there and people like Cornsua as Superman. So like, why not run with it right now? Yeah. Right now it makes sense you building up the hype for it. And I do. I think, I think, I think this has absolutely almost guaranteed that Superman's showing up at the end of Peacemaker
Starting point is 00:52:20 Season 2. Him and Lex. Oh, yeah. I think that's guaranteed. So there's a reason why they didn't show. They only screened six episodes of Peacemaker to press. Okay, yep.
Starting point is 00:52:36 And they said there's going to be some big cameos. I think it's going to probably be Lex and Superman for the most part. and maybe that plays into what's happening. I don't know, but I haven't seen, I'm trying to see it. I'm trying to look at, I want to,
Starting point is 00:52:50 before we move on in the next story, I want to see if there's more updates on this, because right now, I'm sure all the websites are scrambling to write their, their articles on it. I mean, I got that one off Twitter, but I haven't seen any, any articles on it just yet. Oh, there's one.
Starting point is 00:53:03 Okay, the rap. Okay, the rap has one. So let me read what the rap wrote here on this story. And we'll go, maybe there's a little more detail to it. I don't know, we shall find out in just a moment here okay so the rap is saying that james gunn superman follow up man of steel is set for a 2027 release um now what do they write okay this is that james gun the film follows this summer superman which introduced gun's new dc universe the next installment uh in the superman saga now has a
Starting point is 00:53:40 release date james gun revealed on social media that the man of tomorrow the man of tomorrow the The follow-up to Superman will hit theaters on July 9th, 2027. Holy crap, that's less than two years. That's nuts. Previously, Gunn hinted that he was writing the DC Studios project, which he didn't describe as a direct sequel. Speculation was that production would start in 2026. When Gunn and Safran were installed as heads of the newly formed DC Studios,
Starting point is 00:54:04 they announced an ambitious slate of projects across film, television, animation. They would also oversee video game projects related to the various properties. Superman, which introduced the new DC universe, arrived this July. The one of other films starring David Corenswet, Nicholas Holt, was warmly reviewed and made more than 600 million worldwide. The second season of Peacemaker gently reconfigured into the new DCU arrived in August. Upcoming projects include a Supergirl movie with Millie Alcock in the title role, which hits in June 26, June 26, 2026. That will be followed by Clay Pace was a mid-budget horror movie based on Batman villains in theaters on September 11, 2026. It is the second movie, I guess, already, but it's kind of a smaller budget one.
Starting point is 00:54:44 There's also lanterns, which also comes out in early 2026. Other projects announced the Swamp Thing and Wonder Woman Jason television series are presumably still in development. There's the actual post here. He doesn't really stand it tomorrow in theater July 9, 2027. No other detail really with that James Gunn post. So when you see that stuff, I mean, again, it is, this was planned. And basically, I think that what he was doing is he was working on it is like, okay, I'm, I'm at a place. I don't think I'm out of place yet to announce it. Let me see. Let's get it all tightened up.
Starting point is 00:55:17 And people are asking, I have a kind of an idea of what it is. Now, I don't know enough about the man of the tomorrow comic towards, but it would seem like, man of tomorrow would be just Superman too. So why wouldn't, I mean, I guess like you could do the technically it's not Superman too. Technically, it's manna tomorrow. And it's like, scratch my balls. it's like it's to me it's that that's it's a sequel yeah yeah it very much seems like a sequel um which i don't that's like just like a play on words and i'm sure leaving space open to if there was changed then to not be saying stuff straight out that might not be the case so i feel like it gives him some wiggle room but it most definitely seems just like a very clear-cut sequel of Superman, which is exactly what me and my mom wanted.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Yeah, but it's like, you know, someone wrote it's a sequel, but not direct sequel. It's like, just don't, this is the thing, which, and again, I love, this is what I love. This story is the things I love about James Gunn and get frustrated with at the same point. More, more love than the frustration, but the love part of it is, the guy is a creative monster. He's a creative monster. The fact that he is sitting there writing this stuff and wants to make it and just did peacemaker. wants to do this. He's just, he, he, this kind of stuff, he does the same way that he breathes air and and blood flows through his veins. He's just, he's that type of guy. He just has to work. He likes
Starting point is 00:56:50 doing it. He's locked into it. He wants to tell these stories and he knows the comics well and he's going to adapt it. So that's the great stuff. The stuff that is the criticism from a lot of people is don't, this post that he did today, man of tomorrow coming out 2027, great. Post that go walk away and go do something on on your ranch or whatever the hell you have. The whole thing of like, well, I'll tell you, it's not a direct sequel, but I don't say anything. Don't just don't say anything. Don't lie. Don't tell the audience is one thing where you're like trying to like do the JJ Abrams secrecy thing.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Don't say anything. Stop this. But other than that, I love it. Yeah. I love it. I'm glad I'm not super on social. So I don't told I don't see like every single thing he says. I see like kind of the main things like this.
Starting point is 00:57:50 But I love Gunn. I think he's like such a mastermind. I do not know how he does it. I would love. I'm going to throw it out there. If I could just like spend the day and see at like, like does he sleep? It feels like he's on like vampire. I don't understand how he's.
Starting point is 00:58:06 Because it's one thing like you joke or you. you're pretty serious about it, which is the truth. Like, you would be doing it too, Seth, if you were getting paid to do it all. And it's like, yeah, but he is still like out hustling and out timing everyone. Right. It's like crazy. Like, this would have made, if this was Star Wars right now, they would be like,
Starting point is 00:58:25 2029. Right. This is coming out. And it would have been like, okay. But it's like, this just goes above and beyond normal timelines. Well, what Star Wars would also do is that they, they would announce it before there's a script before there's anything that they, we're talking to so-and-so over coffee about how they wanted to do this.
Starting point is 00:58:45 We got them on board and they're on board and they're going to do a movie. What's the movie? We don't know. It's just going to have so-and-so in it. Let's bring so-and-so out on stage and show them. Look who's back. And then, where's the movie? You'll see it in about four years or never.
Starting point is 00:58:58 They put data really on the stage like two years ago. They don't even know when the movie came out. So like this. I'm like, for a day secret stage. But this is different. Yeah. This is him saying, this is why I applaud. It's like, I'm not ready to do anything.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Yeah, I'll kind of maneuver and manipulate or whatever I have to do. I know what I'm working on. I see people in the comments going, well, it's not a direct sequel because it's manned tomorrow. Come on. Don't, don't. Come on. Stop.
Starting point is 00:59:27 It's a direct sequel. It's a direct sequel. Of course it is. Yeah. I guess like the bigger difference is, I'm assuming it's going to have Supergirl heavily featured depending. Yeah. Well, not depending.
Starting point is 00:59:40 It's written. So I'm assuming that's the case. Yeah. And I mean, look, the other stuff that the rap article made me just realize those stuff is that, you know, there are quite a few things coming out for DC next year when you have. And I like the way that they're doing it where it's not like these big huge monster budget movies that they have come out. They have this true detective kind of Green Lantern show, which I'm very excited about.
Starting point is 01:00:03 They have a horror film, uh, which is this Clayface movie, which could be really interesting. And then they have the big fluffy. Well, maybe that's fluffy. I shouldn't say that because the woman of tomorrow is, that's why, by the way,
Starting point is 01:00:16 woman of tomorrow, man of tomorrow, that's why they said the next super family, because they're pairing it all up. And then now it all makes sense. But it's so technically, it could be the next movie after Superman is super girl. And then man of tomorrow is the,
Starting point is 01:00:36 all of that together. So technically, it's a direct sequel. It's a coming together of both those two movies. So it's like, like Benisilde Torto, the user suspects, flip it for real. Flip him for real.
Starting point is 01:00:53 But I think this is great news. I really do. Me too. Yeah. What do you guys think of it? Man of tomorrow, you likes, you not likes. Put your thoughts in there.
Starting point is 01:01:03 Let us know. We got to hear about it, comment live show comment after it goes up or put it on the clips gen make sure this is the pld Luke let's make sure this is the first clip that goes up on the clip show all right cool we have right now step um you're looking to beat roca not roca roca was beaten yesterday you're looking to beat uh roxy and mike who are at 83 and you're currently at 24 think that you can do it yes i think so too i'd see um and then for yeah i got a ton the new avatar trailer dropped too by the way oh yeah so i'm gonna i think i have tons of reactions i'm
Starting point is 01:01:49 going to do after this too i got that marvel zombie one i'm gonna release um i'm doing i'm doing another reaction with ming afterwards too we're gonna we're doing um the south park movie he's never seen it before oh the first one yeah we're doing that oh that's awesome yeah you know another movie that I was going to watch with you I brought up, you had never seen kids, right? Right. Have you ever even heard of that movie? No.
Starting point is 01:02:16 That one's not an easy to watch. Okay. Okay, I find it like for this doesn't open the door to anything, obviously. You know, I have boundaries, terrifier. But I find it it is easier when the lights are on you. You have a friend across the screen.
Starting point is 01:02:35 Like it's not as like in a horror movie this isn't a horror movie this is a this is a A movie about the East Coast youth in 1990 like five right and it's like but it's like oh the chloe seven years like for one of her first movies rosario dawson like one of her first movie um and it was um yeah it was it's a it's a crazy movie it's a crazy movie um so that's one and you've you've seen clerks and mallrats yeah yeah yeah Sam's never seen those two. Not Mallrots 2, right? There's no, there's no Morrots 2.
Starting point is 01:03:11 No, Clerks 2. Okay, I've seen. In Clerks 3. Oh, maybe I haven't seen Clarks 3. Clerks 3 was a lot better than I thought it was going to be, to be honest. And nothing again. I mean, I love Kevin Smith, but the reason I say that is because I, I'm not a big clerk's 2 fan. I love Clerks 1, loved it. Kirk's 3 had a lot of emotion to it. It was really solid movie. Anyway, first one, go pal.
Starting point is 01:03:35 early support looks like i have meetings at 12 to 2 well you can come back go about like you always do and then go pal says looking forward to wednesday season two part two tonight so i was supposed to go to the so you know um Hamilton is doing that re-release in the theater or for their they basically Disney plus put the Hamilton out on plus now doing like a theatrical release to it and they're doing a premiere tonight and i was invited to it and i was going to bring my my oldest but um school just started and it looks like we're just she's like you know if you really want to watch wednesday tonight too so we're going to work i think we're going to do we're going to do that grab like a pizza and watch watch wednesday night oh that's cool i i'm like so conflicted because
Starting point is 01:04:16 hamilton's right on disney plus and harry hasn't seen it but i'm just i really want to have him watch the play and i'm like yeah the theatrical release could be really fun too Good, that's what I said. Oh, by the way, so the Avatar trailer is just a trailer about them releasing Avatar way of water. Okay, I saw another movie do this. What was it? Oh, Samurai, Blue Eye Samurai. They did like a, it wasn't a, they called it a trailer, but it was really them just discussing the announcement of season two and where their heads are as creators. And I was like, okay, I'm still interested in it, but it's not, I thought it was a trailer. go pal on hot ones versus jenna
Starting point is 01:05:00 on hot ones versus jennas spoiled she's not dead like the show's called wednesday i'm obviously not dead in the middle of season two uh i don't do you just spoil something for us go pal i don't know i don't know what that means yeah um i'm excited for part two i've been like super excited for that i i yeah i want to see the direction of the second half and then lady gaga's coming right because she wasn't in the first part No, but if we get more, if we get a lot of Gaga and less of the Bee Kid and the, uh, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and Pugsley, we get less of them and more and a lot of Gaga, I'm good.
Starting point is 01:05:38 I'm done. Let's cut Pugsy and B, be, be kid out of the show. They bring down the show. He just like came back for a second. Okay. I'm back. Yeah. It's like always at the one hour mark that the Wi-Fi is like, goodbye.
Starting point is 01:06:11 Didn't happen on. I'm going to jinx. but didn't happen once on the reaction. I know. I know maybe it's something, I hear that when you're streaming, it does take more CPU, right?
Starting point is 01:06:20 Or something like that? Maybe so. I think so. JP, people keep asking me, and this is fair. And I should answer it. As far as,
Starting point is 01:06:32 because you know, you and I are taking, I'm taking this slot tomorrow so we can record the reactions. Really, why don't you get Roka and someone else to host? Because here's the issue. when I'm not hosting a lot of times, right? Like we have to, when it comes to both the,
Starting point is 01:06:48 whether it's the questions you guys are asking at the end of the show, whether it is the amount of people that are watching in general, um, that when it's myself and one other person, there's one rate that I pay that you can make that up. When there's two people and I'm not on, then there's two rates you're paying now. And you're also not getting the amount of questions normally that
Starting point is 01:07:12 when I'm on the show and you're also not getting the views, whatever that might be. I've tried it a couple different times and I lose money every time they do it. And it happens on here. So it doesn't make sense for me to do that because when it comes to, I was going through today, I'm very excited with the crew that we have. I'm taking,
Starting point is 01:07:30 I'm going through and making sure because I'm giving, I'm adding more with Steph. I'm adding more with Winston, adding more with Chris to do these reactions and everything to. And obviously, budget goes up on that, but I'm taking the risk because I think that people want to see more of these and then that adds to it. And then maybe if people are watching these things, then a situation like that, I'm like, yeah, it's fine. It doesn't matter even if it, even if it, in the same way that I always talk about, um, uh, Superman making 600 million, but to Warner Brothers, they just had Minecraft almost make a billion.
Starting point is 01:08:02 They have, it all, it all scratches each other's back. That's the goal is that it all kind of scratches each other's back so we can do more things like that. So I won't even think about it next time. Yeah, of course, Wednesday. Roka and Chris Carr could do Thursday. I'm not in that position yet, if that makes sense. So it's a little peek behind the curtain. JP, hey, Chris and Steph, have you seen Romeo and Michelle's high school reunion a long time ago?
Starting point is 01:08:25 If not, it would be perfect for stuff to react to. It's her vibe, queen rant, and a movie. You would like that movie if you haven't seen it. I saw when I was growing up. So I kind of know the basis, and it's awesome. I do forget it, too. because it's been like over probably over 15 years. In a while, I haven't seen that one in quite a bit.
Starting point is 01:08:47 We have so much though. I mean, that list that we already have. We really have like a list of like 40 right now. We have so many. And then right. And so my goal and Steph is is going to look into my goal is to try to shoot with Steph twice a week, but right now it looks like once a week, but we're going to try to do two. But we'll see.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Matthew Garrett based Wednesday. Let's go. Thank you, Matthew. I know. I'm so excited. Nathan Drake. I've come to like back to the future three more than two. It is a more focused story.
Starting point is 01:09:18 Also, a certain scene in two is like a bad S&L sketch with bad makeup. Yeah, there are things in and I don't want to, a lot of people feel differently about this stuff. So you'll have your own opinion on it. So it won't tame it one way or another. There are things about two that I love. There are some things about two that I'm like, we should have done that.
Starting point is 01:09:39 And then there's, things about three that I feel the same way. But I like them both equally. And I think, I think, I think three is pretty, is, is pretty solid. Yeah. Okay. I'm excited. Yeah, we're, so we're recording that tomorrow, guys. Uh, cinema fan, three, two, four. The next reaction on stuff should be either who he loves in the big balloon adventure or my little pony the movie, 500,000 views easily. I don't think either one of that is true. Um, but I was like, did my little pony slap and I didn't know? I don't think that he's trying to torture us.
Starting point is 01:10:14 Nathan Drake, Task looks great. Ruffalo and Tom Helferry. Rok has seen it and said it's really, really good. He says really good. Jake, excited for Longwop,
Starting point is 01:10:24 but Demon Slayer is top priority for me next week. Some projections are saying any of from 30 to 50 million opening weekend in U.S. impress up for an anime and requires homework. I know. That's the problem. I would have seen that already. I would have had a review and a reaction. Had it not been for Steph and the rest of you,
Starting point is 01:10:38 who said there's no world where you can see this. Christian, I'm Okay, you guys, here's my catch up on Demon Slayer. I just finished Hoshara Training arc, which is the final season before this movie. It's it might be my favorite show ever.
Starting point is 01:10:54 Wow. Yes. I think it's been to you. I know. I know. It is so phenomenal. So Jake, I'm right there with you. We're going to be locked and loaded opening weekend for that movie. Yeah, so I'm
Starting point is 01:11:06 bummed that I miss that screening. I just haven't, I would know nothing about it. Nathan Drake, I don't know about a Clayface movie, especially for casuals. Let's see how they set it up. Hard to say until we see it, you know? Yeah, it could be like a cool, and it drops during in fall, right? So I think that it could be like a cool, you know, more word of mouth type story that really does well. I've been really excited for Clayface ever since the announcement.
Starting point is 01:11:34 I was like, this feels like different. Yeah. Geek Lodestar. I love both of your reactions for Back to the Future, had me smiling the whole reaction. Christopher Lloyd was always my favorite in that franchise. He is so, man, I've been thinking about him in that nonstop. It is, I love that movie, guys.
Starting point is 01:11:56 Like, you guys were not gassing it. It is so good. So good. And I was bummed because I thought the editor did an incredible job with the reaction. They were quick. But the only problem was that they left. They left out the Johnny Be Good part of it, which I was, I wish we, but there was an unedited version of that. Unfortunately, it only is on Patreon.
Starting point is 01:12:19 And that's my fault because I realized, Steph, you know, you said that you heard an echo. You won't have to turn your thing down this time. I had a setting, I had a setting on my thing that I didn't hit. And so all of the audio from the movie came in to the raw recording. So I can't put it up on YouTube because if I do, it'll get a copyright strike. And it also was the reason why you heard there's a little bit of an echo in that reaction. But that, but it'll be different for the second one for sure. Got it.
Starting point is 01:12:51 Noah Sparks. Have you seen the SNL cash change? What do you think? Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow, Emil Joaquin and Heidi Gardner are out. Excited for the cast, though. So Heidi Gardner had been near for quite a while. Eight seasons, I think. She'd been there for quite a while.
Starting point is 01:13:08 I remember I actually used to work with her brother. And I remember when he told me that she got cast, so it was a while ago. So Emil, what's it, Emil, Joaquin, is that his name?
Starting point is 01:13:19 Yeah, I'm bummed about that. He was the first Lebanese S&L. Oh, he was good. He was good. Why did they get rid of him? I know.
Starting point is 01:13:27 I was bummed about that. I feel like he needed a little more time to shine, but. Yeah, I agree. He was good. Michael Longfellow. Let me see him.
Starting point is 01:13:36 let me see Michael Longfellow he's another one I thought was good too they got rid of him too huh Michael Longfellow Michael Longfellow was good he wasn't like he didn't stand out as much maybe that's why but I thought he was for when he when he showed up Oh yeah right I know I'm like what's going on behind the scenes
Starting point is 01:14:00 Like it feels like And I got and I got I don't know the man at all I don't know, but Devon Walker was not good on the show. He just wasn't good on the show. Every time he, every time he showed up on the show, he just, he was, he was himself saying like, he said like three lines and then he'd walk off, like, oh, yeah, that's great, man. And then he walk off. And it's like, he never had any characters.
Starting point is 01:14:21 He never had anything that stood out. I remember saying to my wife, I'm like, I don't think this guy's going to be back next season because he wasn't doing anything. He just wasn't doing anything. It was, yeah, he kind of gave me a little bit initially of Pete Davidson vibes where I'm like, if he can capitalize on his personality and make it a character like Chad, then he'll have more longevity because Pete Davidson was like classic stand-up, who I, when he first got cast, I was like, okay, I'm curious what he's going to do.
Starting point is 01:14:49 But then he found a way to like put himself. Yeah, use his personality. Devon Walker just never did that. Josh Vascovich, Christian, I love your watch longs. Thank you, Josh. Steph, you were too adorable watching back to the future. Seeing someone react to that movie proved it's a. timeless classic. It really did. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:07 Classic, guys. Classic. It's right. It's so good. So I'm really excited to say. And Michael Dagler are. I love you too. Good. Uh, joyous rumor. Romer, excuse me. Support for Steph. May the force be with you guys. To you also. May the force be with you always. Hell yeah. 30 right now, Steph. I think that they can get you there. I think that they can take you past Roxy and Mike. Come on. It's Steph, guys. Let's do it. Simon section. I hope the long. walk is successful. So do you think we will see a reality game show like we did in Squid
Starting point is 01:15:39 Game instead of bullet pellets instead of hearing the reasons why the contestants are in? You mean eventually who knows with this world? Who knows if you see something like that? I mean, the more the more crazy the world gets you never know. But you know, the Squid Games reality like did eat I feel like Mr. Beast and the Netflix one didn't do very well unless I'm wrong. Like I feel like no one really cared to see the reality. Like the drama of it was more viral than the actual show, but I could be wrong.
Starting point is 01:16:10 Right. I don't know. And I don't even know if season three did that good for Squid Games. I didn't think people were over it. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. Joyous Romer. Christian, what's your prediction? What comes next in the movie world from Lucas film after Mando and Grogu and Starfighter? Well, the stuff that's announced, if if I'm them, what I do right now is I focus on, I go, okay, let's get,
Starting point is 01:16:32 Amanda and Grogo is going to come out. It's going to be season three of Mandalorian or four rather a Mandalorian. Right. It's trying to make our, make our money on that one the way we do with Moana. Right. The first real movie is Starfighter. Starfighter should set up and help out with the Kinberg trilogy. But I don't think that's the next one out the gate for them.
Starting point is 01:16:52 I think what you should do is you go Starfighter, James Mangled movie next. You're hitting big already with Starfighter. And you're going after not just talent. in front of the camera. You're going for talent behind the camera. You're really trying to build out something special with Starfighter and it's being noticed. Do the same thing with Mangold's movie. It's Mangled. So do the same thing in Mangled and don't make an Indiana Jones mangled movie. Make a Logan Mangled movie. And do that. Do a movie like that. And then,
Starting point is 01:17:21 then get into your trilogy and you can inside of that trilogy combine this Ray thing. You don't need to do a standalone Ray thing. Make the standalone Ray thing part of the trilogy. But what do you think, Yeah, I would love to see the mangled movie come next. And there was also another where was it the mangled that was supposed to be like a thousand years back, right? Yeah. And it was more based. Like 10. Yeah, that I would love to see.
Starting point is 01:17:53 Yeah. Oh, yeah, based on the light of the Jedi. And so, yeah, I would like to see that. Yeah. So we'll see. Nathan Drake, favorite Star Wars quote. somehow Palpatine return. What?
Starting point is 01:18:07 That's my favorite. What is she proposing? That's a good Star Wars one. It's a good Star Wars one. Okay. Let's see. Again, next one, 31 as we get to the next one.
Starting point is 01:18:24 Track Stars. If you all haven't watched Steph's latest vlog, please watch her such a fun moment when she was posing for Picks. Also, such a cool moment for you to see Destiny's Child. You went to Vegas to go see them, right? Which one? I assume destiny's child. Yes.
Starting point is 01:18:37 Yes. It was amazing. Thank you for the shoutout track stars. Appreciate you always. Yeah. And how's the channel? How are you enjoying doing the channel right now? I love it.
Starting point is 01:18:48 Yeah. It's been great. We're growing. We're about to hit 3K. So subscribe if you haven't. Everyone's been like super awesome. Yeah, it's growing every week. So that's nice.
Starting point is 01:18:59 Just kind of looking at the statistics, figuring out what it seems like people really like the fashion stuff. But then there's people who like the vloggy stuff. So I'm trying to find the balance of that. Remember I told you that, though. I said you're going to as you start your channel, you're going to start to see like it starts to form as you're making it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:17 Yeah. So like, and you're having fun doing it. That's like the main thing. I am. I am. Good. Michael, what's up? Support for Christian and stuff.
Starting point is 01:19:25 Keep doing what you do. Keep doing what you do. I would be faithfully breaking each other's jobs earlier. John, there is. Man of tomorrow for 2027, aside from Bone Temple, best frequent news of the week. I am happy to see Holtz Lex is getting the love he deserves. Do you think Millie Alcock will be involved this time?
Starting point is 01:19:42 Yes, I do. I think that that's what this whole super family thing is all about. But stuff to you? Yes, I definitely think so. And she's a really loved actress up and coming. So I think definitely. Did you see 28 years later, by the way? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:58 Did you like it? Yeah, I really liked it. Did you watch the trailer for Bone Temple today? It's the new one. Oh, no, I haven't. So that's going to be the sequel to that? Yeah. So I watched it today and, you know, it looks, it's, it could be deceiving, right?
Starting point is 01:20:13 Because it looks like it's continuing on. The different directors, director of the Marvels. And I need Acosta. And I do think that Danny Boyle's style really made that first movie. But the thing that scares me the most about it. And I said this in their reaction was that it comes out in January. It's usually a dumping ground for movies. Makes me nervous.
Starting point is 01:20:33 Yeah. Makes me nervous. But I don't know. I, yeah, that makes me a little bit nervous, especially because I feel like, I feel like 28 years later got some hype and then it kind of dissipated kind of quickly.
Starting point is 01:20:46 So I don't know if it was enough to push it for a January release, but we'll see. I don't know. Yeah, we'll have to see how that plays. John Darius, now Gunna's moving forward with the sequel. Do you think that the Trinity will start getting real casting news by next year the latest?
Starting point is 01:21:00 This feels like a sequel rather than a semi one. Like you stated, yeah, feels like a sequel and yes i do think that we'll probably get as we get closer we'll get the wonder woman news will be first and like we talked about earlier on the show they're going to be kind of walking on eggshells with batman right now until they get matt reeves stuff they want to focus on matt reese batman first yeah um okay again 34 at the moment johnny venerable superman sequel comes out before batman part two what are we even doing either merge these two or
Starting point is 01:21:33 on people will be confused. I don't people are going to be asking, and you know me, I've been talking about confusing stuff for a bit. I don't think they're going to be as confused with those two movies, although they could say, does this, maybe you're right, Johnny, where it comes to, okay, if they're leaning so much into Superman, Supergirl, Superman sequel, and then the Batman comes out, the casual fan could go, oh, this Batman ties into Superman, right? And they're like, no, no, no, it's different. But at this point, I say, just, who cares? I'm so, I guess maybe, maybe, just I'm just exhausted by it. How do you feel?
Starting point is 01:22:07 Yeah, I feel like people will be fine. I don't think there'll be much confusion. They'll do it. It seems like they're good at communicating with one another. And I do like how Gunn really respects Reeves and kind of just like giving him his time. And it obviously loved the first Batman. So that seems to be, you know, part of the vision. So I think it will be fine.
Starting point is 01:22:28 Yeah. John Darius, I'm also happy that Gunn isn't taking five years to make a sequel. which is true he actually had a plan and he committed yeah that's what we said earlier that's that's that's the biggest takeaway here if we do indeed get a sequel in twenty twenty seven batman you're talking a batman brave and the bold is sure coming by twenty nine or twenty thirty thirty the latest thoughts i would say if you're going to time this out you would have superman two call it what it is on on the twenty twenty seven probably wonder woman in twenty twenty eight so yeah i would say 2029 you would be it would make if i mean because if you could step if you could do
Starting point is 01:23:09 superman super girl and let's say supergirl does well superman too does pretty well um wonder woman does well and then you got why why not follow it up with batman at that point yeah i know and based off of the way he just dropped the superman man of tomorrow i'm like he probably already has the wonder him and figured out and like soon to be in production and then we're going to hear that in like the next year he probably just doesn't want to like convolut the news too much but i wouldn't be surprised if it's she's like fully cast it and everything uh corn emperor kids it should be required viewing for teenagers yeah it it it really should most people i know to watch it as teenagers really rethought their lives oh my gosh yeah um yeah so i
Starting point is 01:24:03 Was it like that movie? What was it? It's like every girl watched it. The cover of it, she has a tongue piercing with a Nikki. I'll find it. Yeah. Okay. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:24:20 So we now have 35 thus far, 35. And we have, let's see if we're going to do 35, 35, okay, support for step. 13, 13. Oh yeah, I remember that movie 13. Okay, Joyous Romer. No, I don't remember it well enough to compare it. But this movie, this movie, what they did, I actually saw an interview with one of the actors. What they did, this movie was, what they, people thought it was so realistic that they actually didn't have the actors promoting the movie at all.
Starting point is 01:24:52 Because they didn't want people to know that they were actors doing a tour for this. They wanted to confuse them and make things that they were actually, these kids that they were falling around on the street. Oh. Um, and it does really come off like, like that in the way that, um, the way that this whole thing was put together and you hear about it. But I, that's all I want to give you right now. Um, because it's, it's, it's not you, it's not like back to the future though. And back to the future, you come out with a big old smile in your face and you're walking around. You're going to walk this going, oh my God. I'm glad I'm not a teenager. To answer your question, what's my favorite Star Wars merch? Yeah. Yeah. It was my dark saber.
Starting point is 01:25:34 until they completely elituted to dark saber. Honestly, my Star Wars mugs are so awesome. Like, we have like four cool Star Wars mugs that we've gotten from Galaxy's Edge that are so fun. And I drink out of them all the time. Okay. So mine is probably my Darth Bain saber that I have. Rob Job, Christian, I'll be in Manhattan this weekend for the Jet Steelers game. Best spots for pizza.
Starting point is 01:26:00 Okay. So here's what I'll tell you, because I get this question a lot. Um, what I will tell you is go to the East Village. I was just there in, um, I was just here with a week on Saturday. I didn't get pizza, but I'll tell you what I, what I will be doing next time I go is you got John Bleaker Street right there. You have just Bleaker Street pizza in general. You have so many pizza places and there's usually lines for all of them.
Starting point is 01:26:21 Um, and then there's Prince Street pizza not too far away from that too. So I would tell you to go to go to Bleaker Street and look for like, and I, and give yourself a little bit of a tour. go get like keep keep your belly empty and do like three different slices get a and i don't know if you're a cheese slice person if you're like a toppings person get one at say bleaker street pizza go go to john a bleakers go to go there's like there's there's there's two other ones around that area too find the pizza places in that area in east village and go there um okay john derius christian can you and someone in your team please react to the horror film the collector i'd love to see your reactions. Trust me, it's worth it.
Starting point is 01:27:02 But when you're telling me, is it something like, you know, what's that stupid one? The terrifier. Not stupid. Not stupid. People love it. I just, that's something that I don't want to watch. You know, like, even I'll tell you, here's the funny thing stuff. Like the Conjuring, have you ever seen The Conjuring movies? No.
Starting point is 01:27:22 Fuck. I don't think so. Because like, because I said this to myself last night. I went and saw the new one. And I think the embargo, the full embargoes, I said, I'll give my initial reactions. I came out going, I like Patrick Wilson a lot. I like Vera Formiga a lot. I like the characters, the chemistry. I'm just, it just feels like I've just seen the same movie a thousand times that I'm just like,
Starting point is 01:27:44 and how many times I've got seen blood coming out of a sink and creepy faces? That I'm just like, it's just not, it's the same movie. It's the same movie. I'm like, I'm like, it's not creepy to me anymore. It's like, oh, you know what I really want to scare you? I'm going to turn the music up to 100% right now, actually 300% right at this moment and scare you. And it's like, you know, it's just annoying.
Starting point is 01:28:06 And I got out going, okay, you know what? I was going to do a full reaction series with this, but I'm pretty sure everybody in my crew has seen it, so now I don't have to do it. Now I found that you haven't. Because the first two are awesome. They're awesome. Yeah, I hear that.
Starting point is 01:28:17 Awesome. But like the nun and all that shit in the Abigail, no thanks. Abernathy Rah. Anaconda Brett reaction to blood in, blood out, please. I'm sorry, Anaconda Brett was something. Simon section, Christian, Steph. What's the deal with the demon slayer? I mean, come on.
Starting point is 01:28:41 He's a demon, he's a slayer? What is he? Michael. Superman, Man of Tomorrow, Batman 2, Beyond the Spiderverse, Secret Wars, all in 27. That's looking insane. It is crazy that Batman 2 and Superman tour coming out in the same year. Maybe that's what the confusing thing is.
Starting point is 01:29:00 Think of whatever pre-COVID levels box office wise. Ask me that next summer, Michael, or the beginning and the beginning of next summer, because I really want to see what happens with the box office in 2026 because it's poised to be pretty spectacular. But this year said, nope. Yeah. Yeah, I hope it does. I hope it does. I don't know. It's so hard. But then you see things like the Netflix is just like kind of always ahead of the game with the K-pop Demon Hunters theatrical release post streaming. There's always ways to reinvent and reinvigorate people's want to be in the theater. You just got to do it with that. 100%. This is the next one. I'm interesting in hearing. Hold on. It's ready someday.
Starting point is 01:29:56 down because I know the answer is no to this and I'm writing it down because it's a great suggestion, although it could be wrong. But first, Joyous Romer, Steph, please do a Starbucks review. I enjoyed the coffee video you did with your mom. Thank you. I would definitely probably do another. I know sometimes in my videos I stop at Starbucks, that's out of it being the only place around. I would definitely do like more smaller coffee shop. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. That'd be cool. Carver Tate. F. Y, Mark Hamill will be on Kimmel tonight. That's cool promoting the movie I assume. Oh, cool.
Starting point is 01:30:30 Seattle, K.O. Good morning. Christian and Steph. Have either of you seen adventures and babysitting? If not, might be a good reaction, but don't say anything, Steph, whether or not you've seen it. I have seen it many times. It's a great 80s movie. My prediction is that Steph has not seen this movie.
Starting point is 01:30:45 And if she has not, it is definitely going on the list because she will love this. Steph? You want me to answer? Yeah. I haven't seen this. Great. This is such. It's such a you movie.
Starting point is 01:30:58 Do you know who's in this movie? No. Elizabeth Shoe. Okay. Prada kid. Yeah. Yes, yes. Yeah, so we'll watch that one.
Starting point is 01:31:07 That's a good one. Track stars. If Millie is in Man of Tomorrow, what do you think the Supergirls dynamic with Superman based on what we saw in the latest movie? We got to see what they're in dynamic is. You assume he's going to make a cameo in her movie, right? So let's see what their relationship is there first. before we yeah i don't know yeah i hope it's not i get why they did it in the superman but i hope
Starting point is 01:31:32 she's not like drunk all the time or like going to different planets just to get drunk like i think that was a funny like one bit but if that's kind of her storyline i i feel like we're that used to be like classic like all the time it was like okay to be like heavy drinking but now i feel like i have more of an awareness and i'm like that's a problem like i don't find it as funny i think she's troubled more than anything else, too, from what I hear about this comic. If they go into the comic, the tone, I think it should be a little different than what the Superman tone was. I don't know. Alexander Wilson, did you guys watch Alien Earth last night? It's getting freaky.
Starting point is 01:32:08 Noah Holly is something else. He truly is one of the best TV creators out there. I've seen three episodes so far. I know that that was episode five, right? So no, I haven't yet. So I have to, it's weird, though, but too is I like the show, but it's one of those shows that, like, it feels like, even though it's an hour episode, they feel like long episodes. And I don't know what that is. It could be just me thing. And it's not like, oh, this is a boring long.
Starting point is 01:32:30 It just feels like it doesn't move as fast as some of the other things that I'm watching. And right now I need that. But I will get back to it, for sure. Yeah. I'm going to watch this show. I've heard great things. The first three were excellent. I have to watch.
Starting point is 01:32:47 I'm going to watch the fourth. Track stars. Realized we're getting Secret Wars and Manna Tomorrow in the same year. Yeah, we're getting, it's, it's going to be a crazy, it's going to be a crazy year. Yeah, hopefully one builds off the other. Yeah, they said, yeah, go ahead. That would be cool in that sense, because sometimes it's like, I feel like we used to be like, oh, it's competing only like the major studios should come out with like one at a time and
Starting point is 01:33:11 not versus each other. But I don't know, but the whole Barbenheimer experience made me think that perhaps we can get a momentum building for comic book movies next year. yeah we should we they need it um they said collector is more like saw yeah i'm out i've never even seen a song i haven't seen one saw movie i don't i'm out that's not my that's not like my type of thing uh jake step who are some of your favorite uh hashira hoshara oh oh huh i love all the hoshara uh probably though I love the water hoshera. I just think they do such a good job of having
Starting point is 01:33:55 each of them have the most amazing storylines ever. I don't know. I like all of them, but I have a soft spot for the water hoshera and obviously the flame hoshera. Never forget. Alexander Wilson, Christian, the best neighborhood to get pizzas,
Starting point is 01:34:11 Williamsburg, Brooklyn has the best food. I have to go and give it another shot because I went there with my family. We were all hungry and we were walking around. and well, the first pizza place that we wanted to go to was closed on a Sunday. Why you closed on a Sunday when, again, if you don't want to be there, but have some employees that work there, it's Sunday. It went lunch.
Starting point is 01:34:33 So it was closed. So then we were walking around. I'm like, okay, it's, it's Brooklyn. You got to be able to, I'm sure that if we walk five blocks, you can find a place. We couldn't find anywhere to eat. Five boxes. My kids are starving. My wife was, I'm like, this sucks.
Starting point is 01:34:45 And then we went to this other place. And I went to this one pizza place there that Portnoy gave a high score to. called the best pizza or something that place sucked pizza was burnt it was it was awful it was some of the worst pizza i've had in new york it was awful um but then the flip side is to go to the east village you can't you throw a you throw a rock and you hit a you hit a restaurant you hit some you hit some food so i have to go and try it again because i hear brooklyn pizza is great i've just i didn't have the best experience first time around and that that place best pizza was the worst pizza was it was ironic It was dog show.
Starting point is 01:35:20 It was like L.A. pizza was far superior than that piece of shit. That's horrible. Horrible. Jake, Walking Dead spin-off so far. Had one season of Rick and Michone show, two seasons of Negan and Maggie's show,
Starting point is 01:35:36 and Darrell Dixon season three is Sunday, which is so many spin-off shows, and I've only seen like maybe three seasons of the original show. I haven't seen any of these. Yeah. Okay. This goes more so of people who are like, listen to me, crashing carotty. And I love it because you're on the channel all the time and you're always putting comments in here. I'm going to say this to you with the glasses off.
Starting point is 01:36:07 This is how serious this is going to. You have to stop. It is okay. If somebody says something about something that you love and they say something in a way, Like we raved about this idea, the fact that he's doing this again. We raved about it. We thought it was a really good idea. It's okay if not everybody loves everything that you love or loves in the way or thinks in the way that you do.
Starting point is 01:36:32 And if someone says something negative about the guy that you love, that you got to go, stop this. You have to stop this. Because Man of Tamar is a Superman and Supergirl story. Stop saying he's lying. He's not. Roka is rubbing off in you. No. He's,
Starting point is 01:36:50 he, it's not lying. He's, he's full of it. It's a fucking sequel guy. It's a sequel. Superman and Supergirl. Supergirl's going to have a second movie.
Starting point is 01:37:01 It's, you could also, you could, you could do a flip side here and you can say, well, wouldn't in the essence, man and tomorrow also be a supergirl sequel? I would tell you,
Starting point is 01:37:13 yes, it would be if she is significantly in it. And it's a dual story. Then it would be a sequel to both their movies. It's a sequel. Nobody's rubbing off on show. It's probably going to be like, like how Winter Soldier is a sequel for Captain America, but obviously we get Bucky as a major character.
Starting point is 01:37:35 Yeah. Civil War. They call it Civil War. But they call it Captain America Civil War because it's a sequel. It's a sequel. It is absolutely 100% a sequel. Civil War is, it's as much of a cap story. I mean, as much of an Iron Man story as it is a cap store.
Starting point is 01:37:51 It's both their stories together of the things that Tony learns about his father and everything and his parents and everything that's going on there. And it combined together. It's a cap and Tony. It's it really is. It's both you can say that it's an Iron Man sequel also if you wanted to, but it's called Captain America Civil War. It's a sequel.
Starting point is 01:38:10 And I'll rewrite that for you, Creschen, Kerry. I'm going to rewrite that. Christian, I kind of disagree with you, though. I do think that even though it could come off as a sequel here, from the way that they're presenting it, I feel like it's a Superman and Supergirl story in general. I don't feel like the sequel. Okay, thanks for writing it that way. I disagree, but I appreciate you writing it. The end there, it's okay. You're allowed to criticize people. I know how much you love James Gunn. I get it. I love them too, but stop this. Joyous Romer, may the Force be with you guys.
Starting point is 01:38:40 Another great stream. Prish and I've been watching old Jedi Council videos. Why? some of the predictions hold up over time. There was ever, I said, and thank you, George, I appreciate it. But I say to myself, if I ever could erase things from my history, it would be Jedi Council, Clyde alive. Those would be, those would be out, I would erase them from my history, if that was. But I appreciate it. Thank you. Crashing coyote, my bad.
Starting point is 01:39:09 That's fair. Thank you, crashing coyote. That was a quick rebuttal. I appreciate you. That's nice. I like, but how do I like, I don't respect the coyotes in every day.
Starting point is 01:39:21 I love the coyote. All I'm saying is it's not called Superman 2 for a reason. That's a different conversation. That's a different conversation. You can say there's a reason why it's in the same way that it wasn't just called Captain America, three. It was called Civil War. So it's not called Superman Manor tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:39:38 Is it? Maybe it will be. Who knows? Maybe they will be because they realize marketing. But it is. in essence a sequel. So let's see. But it could be Superman Manus Marr. You don't know that just yet. We shall see. 44 so far. 44. And let's say, I think that's it for now. Am I right? I don't. Yeah, right now. Right now. So we have
Starting point is 01:40:06 44. And that's not true. People said they wouldn't have found me if there was no Clyde Live. I would have been doing something else. And you would have found me from that. I still was doing Schmoz. So we would have found me from that. Anyway, that's it. So I appreciate you guys being here so far. If you want to keep us going, we show you.
Starting point is 01:40:26 Stephanie's 40 more. Can you get her to do it? Come on. You can do it. Look at. She's, she's ready to win. Get her to win. But Steph, before me.
Starting point is 01:40:36 Flood the super chats right now. Right now. You flood while you give your plug. You can do the kind of delay, stalling that Roxy was doing before we sign off. But go ahead and plug your channel. Yeah, you can send it in as I speak right now. YouTube.com slash Steph Sabra.
Starting point is 01:40:54 We're on our way to 3K. Let's make that happen. That's the goal for this month. And I really appreciate what I drop videos Tuesday, Thursday, and then we go live Sunday. Sometimes people are like, oh, I'm not getting a notification for the live streams on Sunday. Keep missing it. It's usually right around.
Starting point is 01:41:11 5 p.m pt. Oh no. Oh no. Where'd you go? Steph. Back. Who's? So 5 p.m.
Starting point is 01:41:22 PT on Sunday, I hear you. But where'd I go? Am I here? Am I here? Like Max Headroom kind of stuff. Start your plug kind of, ish.
Starting point is 01:41:31 So where do they find that? YouTube.com slash stuff subra. Perfect. Joyous firmer puts in some support. Yes. No. Look, I didn't say that I wasn't happy talking Star Wars back in day far far away is one of my favorite shows i ever did with tiffany smith and
Starting point is 01:41:46 do that that's probably the my the most fun i ever had doing a star war show loved that show was such a like a radio star war show was great so um wasn't talking about talking about star wars and this stuff was was great it just was um you know turning it into uh just a full-on news thing um okay mostly superheroes it's just exciting to see james and dc committing to two dates and titles. Finally, the cohesive DC universe is happening. It's good and I'm grateful. Yeah, and he's got to stick to it and I believe that he will. You know? Yeah, yeah, definitely. I feel like he's been consistent thus far. So I'm excited about that. And I think that it was a great, just like kind of vague announcement where I feel like if you read the comics, you're excited.
Starting point is 01:42:37 If you like the Superman movie, you're excited, but not too many details. Yeah. I agree. And then you got Nelio. Is that Willie McGee on your, on your profile there? Love you, Steph. You're beautiful, baby. Hey, how about me? What? Thank you. Yeah. And then Gunn originally titled Superman Superman Legacy. Yeah. See? That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Yeah. So, and then the other thing, as far as, yeah, people want to, people saying, what about Claire live? Nope. I always thought it. I talk about Roxie about all the time. It's like that, that's a show that I wish never would have done. I would have never done a show. I would rather, we were doing the one-on-one with Christian Harloff. I should have just stuck with that the whole way through. But I liked doing shows at rocks. I like doing shows with Josh and Riley and all them. But nah, they're doing that every day.
Starting point is 01:43:28 That was horrible. This horrible. Anyway, so I'm glad that you're doing your channel. I'm excited to have you doing the channel here. Steph, we're going to be doing Back to the Future tomorrow, which will probably come out again. I would assume maybe on Saturday again, it was a good Saturday release for us last time. So we'll probably have it try to come out on Saturday again.
Starting point is 01:43:49 And then what else are we going to be doing? We're going to be doing back to the future three. And then we'll probably get into Ferris Bueller. So much. So excited. I'm so excited. That was so fun. I'm really looking forward to the sequel.
Starting point is 01:44:04 Me too. I haven't seen it in quite a while. And as I was watching, I was bringing up to make sure that we had it to watch. I caught a couple of. pieces from them like I really do enjoy this movie I'm excited to to see it so um either way I'm good I'm that's the other thing to make it clear people who said that they like I'm I'm you see here's difference it makes me feel so happy that you guys liked it I would love that you guys liked Jedi Council and I should say for the first couple of years it was it was it was fun to do
Starting point is 01:44:34 it was it was it was then when you want I think eventually when I wanted to go off and do things like okay you know what do we have to stick with this story, the next story. Can I just, because I really, there's so much in this story. I just like, can we just talk about that for like 20 minutes, half an hour? I'm like, no, we pulled the graphics and we did this. You have to move into the next story. I'm like, well, but, but this is more interesting to stay here and go here.
Starting point is 01:44:55 No, we pulled all these stories and you have to do that and you pulled all these images and we want, you got to talk about this. And I'm like, but at the beginning of it, I think was a lot of fun. We could talk about certain things. We had certain interviews. It was fun and was a different time. I'm so glad that people got to enjoy me that. Please don't, don't let my, don't let my,
Starting point is 01:45:12 disdain for it. You know, if you guys found it and loved it, I love that you guys did. And I'm so, I'm humbled by the fact that you guys enjoyed it, especially the fact that I was so freaking miserable during those years and the fact that you guys still came over afterwards, I can't even tell you, I'm in messages I've gotten, stuff from people who are just like,
Starting point is 01:45:29 you can tell you so much happier here. I was, I realized it myself, I was miserable during those years. I mean, horrible. I mean, a goddamn theme park for some, for,
Starting point is 01:45:38 to show you where I was in my life. I was like, so with the stuff that was going on in my, life in general things in general it just was not me i was just the day i was very like you didn't really know me back then you've only kind of known this version of me but like i i i was not myself for that those years from i was there from 2016 to like 2019 2020 i was not i was not myself i'm i'm definitely um can can clearly say that it was i was stressed i didn't i didn't was always constantly like like like this i just i did not i did not like it um so that's why that's
Starting point is 01:46:12 why but I love I but the fact that I please again I don't want anybody to feel that um that if you liked it oh man well if you didn't like it that to me it means the world to me that if I could be that miserable and you guys still were liking it then that that means a lot to me and hopefully you like this show more because I'm actually happy yeah there you go uh joyous roamer it's great to see you in Jedi council Mike and John are great too was something special Mike wasn't on Mike and John are great too something special
Starting point is 01:46:46 but Mike and John weren't well my John was on Jedi Council sometimes sometimes in the beginning I don't disagree with any of you guys in the beginning the first like the first year of Jedi Council was pretty fun A Rago did you watch the Netflix
Starting point is 01:47:00 documentary called Unknown Number of Captor Story what a wild and crazy story no I saw it was about the high school kids right I saw the trailer for it and I was like I can't watch this Wait, isn't it? I think this was about the mom with her daughter, right? Because I saw parts of this. I think so, right?
Starting point is 01:47:18 Isn't the one where the kid like is like a close friend that kind of betrays her or something? Or something like that's in the trailer. So it's not really giving it away. You get to find out more. But this daughter is like heavily bullied for over a year. And it's her mom. Oh, was her mom that was doing it? Her mom.
Starting point is 01:47:38 Holy shit. Why was her mom doing it? She's a psycho, narcissist, freak. Her mom was bullying. That's what that reveal was. That was her mom? Yes. Lied to her husband for a year and a half.
Starting point is 01:47:52 Like, she just tortured her daughter, gave her, like, Loki Stockholm syndrome. It's crazy. Like, she, and then she got stocking charges, but it's only like, I mean, she should be locked locked away. Wow. This is hilarious. Dr. Brooklyn, I heard there was only one bathroom or collider and it was so small, every was constantly waiting to go in after somebody,
Starting point is 01:48:13 usually somebody was doing number two. I don't know who you are, but that's true. So true. It was a guy's bathroom. There was two. It was terrible. It was a terrible bathroom. It was horrible.
Starting point is 01:48:29 I'll tell you my favorite. I think I've told this story before in the old Collider one, my favorite thing that ever happened was we shared a, we shared it on. I've told this story before. I'll tell it again. Steph, we shared this office with these other people down the hall. It wasn't the collider that you knew was the one right next to it before we moved.
Starting point is 01:48:48 Okay. Yeah. Yep. And there was a small bathroom that we shared with another office and no windows. It was terrible. And there were two urinals and then the stall. And so Fernandez and I both walked in there. And I just makes you laugh every time.
Starting point is 01:49:03 It's so stupid. And whoever was in there right before, like just destroyed the battle right right like it was it was it was brutal whatever they did in there like from from this it was horrible like the you you just told you knows immediately so we walked in and he's looking at a crime scene and he goes somebody had a bad day it killed me I think about it to this day I started crying laughing trying to take a piss I was like somebody had a bad day It was the best. A. Rago, did you watch that?
Starting point is 01:49:41 NFL, we did that one, right? Jake, I missed Napsox the News. Well, that was Schmo's No. That was great. There were some great moments on the, Shmo's No stuff was some of my favorite things, for sure. Yeah, that was funny. I've seen. Those are fun.
Starting point is 01:49:52 Simon Section. Christian, thoughts on the actor that played Al Pacino and the offer is now playing Young Rocky in the streaming show. Is he playing in the streaming show or is he playing them on Broadway? Is it the streaming show? Interesting. Yeah. Interesting. I don't know. Okay. Let's see. Um, I'm trying to see if there's anything. Apparently they had. Oh, no. Okay. So Dr. Brooklyn was right about that. He's making up stories, but he was right by accident. Joyce Romer. I met Mark Ellis in camp. Yeah. Look, look, there were times that there were times that they would come on the show and do and we, it was fun in the beginning for sure. It was fun. Um, what else? We got 55 so far. Not bad.
Starting point is 01:50:35 Not bad. Not bad. I can't believe that's pretty crazy. That story used something about the mom. Oh, wait. Yeah. Creshing Coyote. This chat is mean. All I was saying is Man's Marr was not Superman 2. Just like how Civil War wasn't Civil Cat 3. It's a sequel to both movies. Yeah, it is. Oh, yeah. Well, then we're on the same page. It's not. Don't be mean to Crashing Coyote. Don't be. Don't be mean to crashing Coy. Cash and Cody is one of our most loyals. Joyous Romer.
Starting point is 01:51:04 Tiffany Smith and Perry, even the AMC. Jedi. But yeah, see, Tiffany is, is the OG. Tiffany was my host on Far Far Far Away. She was the first. That way that whole thing came about was I was doing, I was doing a far, far away. And we were doing that show. And I had pitched doing a live, a weekly show to Campia about doing a Star Wars show. And he wasn't sure if it could work at top. He's like, I don't know if people are going to tune in. I said, well, right now with all the stuff going on with Force Awakens and
Starting point is 01:51:32 everything coming out, like, or the more, whatever the movie, I think it was, well, Force Wreckens at the time. Episode 7 was coming out. I'm like, there's going to be so much. And they just did all these spinoffs, and I think that we can combine things. And I think we can do it weekly. And he said, well, what about we do like a mini series? We'll do like, we'll do a test of like two or three, we'll do like two or three episodes. And if they, if they do decent enough, then we'll continue doing weekly.
Starting point is 01:51:55 And I'm pretty sure they will. And then he and I can't remember who it was, but I'm pretty, he came up with the name of Jedi Council. And then, um, we did the first one and it crushed. And to his credit, right after he's like, we'll do it weekly because that kind of numbers, it'll do well. So yeah. So let's see. Who changed your graphics mid-show to Superman? I used my mental.
Starting point is 01:52:18 I have a thing in my head that I got put in there by the scientists. And I just go like this. If I need, I go like this. And then it just changed. So there you go. Okay. Let's see. Next one after that.
Starting point is 01:52:33 I think that we know, we're still 55. Okay, 55. That's it. That's it. So, you know, Tiffany was the first, well, Tiffany was the first co-host of Far Far Away. And then Tiffany was the, was not the first co-host of Shmo's No.
Starting point is 01:52:46 So the first co-host of Shmo's No was Catherine Reitman. And then the second co-host of Shmo's No was Katie Sackoff. And then the third co-host was, was Tiffany. Simon's section. Sorry, it could be a Broadway show. When I heard about it, instantly thought of your Apollo. prequel script, let it rise. Yeah, I hope that, I never even
Starting point is 01:53:07 tried to do the Apollo. I never brought it anywhere. That's it. Okay. Guys, thank you. Appreciate it. 56. Good chat here today, Steph. I'm glad you can make it and I'm going to see you twice this week. I'm excited about it. All right, everybody.
